Odlivy velkých držitelů XRP klesly na minimum od roku 2021
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 84
Original source text
XRP whale outflows on Binance have fallen to their lowest levels since October 2021, showing that large holders have become much less active.

XRP Whale Outflows Reach 5-Year Low Notably, the 90-day moving average (90-dma) of XRP whale outflows now stands at $49.7 million, far below the levels recorded during the previous market rally.

In February 2025, when XRP traded near its cycle peak of around $3.30, the same metric reached $3.5 billion. Daily outflow spikes also regularly exceeded $10 billion, as large investors moved significant amounts of XRP away from Binance.

These withdrawals confirmed that XRP witnessed strong accumulation as whales transferred their tokens to private wallets. Since February 2025, however, whale outflows have declined steadily.

XRP whale outflows on Binance drop to levels last seen in 2021 The 90-day moving average has dropped from $3.5 billion to $49.7 million, returning to levels last seen in October 2021. This period coincided with the peak of the previous Bitcoin market cycle, when institutional interest began to weaken, and large investors pulled back from aggressive market positions.

This comparison raises questions about XRP’s current position in the market. Although past trends do not guarantee similar outcomes, the latest reading shows that large holders are far less active than they were during the previous rally.

Why Lower XRP Whale Outflows Matter for Price Action Whale outflows from exchanges such as Binance often indicate accumulation. Large holders withdraw their tokens into private wallets, reducing the amount of XRP available for immediate sale on exchanges.

When these withdrawals fall considerably, it may mean whales have slowed their buying activity and are waiting for better prices before committing more money.

XRP’s relative strength during the current bear market may help explain this change. During the previous downturns in 2022 and 2023, sharp price drops created deeper discounts that attracted large investors looking to build substantial positions.

This cycle has not offered the same opportunity, as XRP has held up better than several other cryptocurrencies. The resilience may have made it harder for whales to find a price that justifies large purchases.

Instead of accumulating XRP aggressively at current levels, large investors may be waiting for lower prices or better signs that the market is recovering.

The decline in whale outflows does not prove that large holders have stopped buying altogether. However, the drop in the 90-day average from $3.5 billion in February 2025 to $49.7 million in October 2026 shows how much their withdrawal activity has slowed.

XRP Price Decline Adds to Selling Pressure Currently, XRP trades at around $1.30, down approximately 61% from its cycle peak. The token has also fallen about 4.81% over the past seven days amid continued pressure on its price.

The lack of strong buying from whales could make a sustained recovery more difficult. Without greater demand from large investors, XRP may struggle to overcome selling pressure and maintain an upward move.

Meanwhile, on-chain data shows another challenge, confirming that approximately 60% of the circulating XRP supply has a realized price of around $1.48.

This means a large portion of circulating XRP last changed hands at prices above the current market level. If the price climbs toward $1.48, some holders may sell to recover their initial investment. This could create additional resistance.

Could Low Whale Outflows Signal a Market Turnaround? Despite the current weakness, history shows there’s room for a possible recovery. Markets sometimes turn around after trading activity and investor interest fall to very low levels. As selling pressure eases, new buyers can begin to influence prices even before market sentiment improves.

For XRP, the question is whether the sharp decline in whale outflows indicates a prolonged wait for better prices or the later stages of the current market downturn. A decisive push above $1.65 alongside stronger buying activity could improve the bullish outlook. On the other hand, a break below $1.27 could expose XRP to further losses.

NCA žádá ochranu držitelů stablecoinů po ztrátě licence
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
The National Cryptocurrency Association (NCA) has submitted a formal comment letter to the U.S. Treasury regarding Section 3 rules of the GENIUS Act, marking a significant step in clarifying stablecoin regulation.

Industry’s framework for stablecoin regulationStuart Alderoty, NCA President and Chief Legal Officer at Ripple, signed the document, confirming industry support for a one-hundred-percent reserve requirement for stablecoins. However, he emphasized the need for a practical approach to shield retail users from potential risks associated with regulatory changes.

Alderoty addressed the need to protect Americans from being “stranded holding stablecoins if regulations change.” The NCA proposes a safe-harbor mechanism: a designated period following any issuer’s license revocation or missed compliance deadline—such as the July 18, 2028 date—allowing users to redeem, sell, or convert their stablecoins without incurring losses. This measure aims to provide exchanges with the ability to assist users technically without facing accusations of unlawful trading during this window.

Retail holders must have a temporary window to redeem or convert their stablecoins if an issuer’s license lapses, ensuring they are not left vulnerable during regulatory transitions.

The comment letter also emphasizes the importance of clear legal pathways for recovering stolen assets. The NCA advocates permitting the reissuance of payment stablecoins, under a lawful court order, to replace those lost through theft or accidental transfers. This action would fall under the “except as required by a lawful order” clause, according to the association.

Mini dictionary: National Cryptocurrency Association (NCA), a U.S.-based industry group representing crypto sector interests in regulatory matters.

New boundaries for wallets and self-custodyThe NCA further outlined boundaries distinguishing custodial professionals from software developers. Under its proposal, providers of non-custodial wallets and simple balance-display interfaces that do not control private keys should not be classified as intermediaries or sellers by regulatory bodies.

Any transactions conducted directly between individual users or within their personal wallets should remain outside agency restrictions, maintaining the right to self-custody and peer-to-peer transfers.

Service TypeNCA Proposed ClassificationRegulatory ImpactCustodial wallet providersIntermediary/SellerSubject to agency rulesNon-custodial wallet softwareDeveloper/Interface onlyOutside agency restrictionsThe association recommends that direct peer-to-peer (P2P) transfers, internal account moves, and activity restricted to self-managed wallets be protected from federal intervention, preserving users’ fundamental rights in cryptocurrency management.

Implications for the retail marketBy submitting these recommendations, the NCA seeks to shift industry-regulator dialogue toward pragmatic solutions and clear separation of technological responsibilities. The association’s approach aims to define technology’s role while balancing regulatory objectives with market stability.

Market observers note that with this filing, industry leaders have effectively placed the onus for ensuring retail market stability on the Treasury Department. The agency will now determine the final strictness of stablecoin regulations in the coming months.

Nová peněženka přijala 82 milionů XRP
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
A newly activated XRP wallet has received more than 82 million tokens in a single transaction, adding to the large transfers recorded on the XRP Ledger.

On-chain data shows that the wallet received 82,314,668 XRP worth more than $106 million. However, the identity of the wallet owner remains unknown, which leaves open the possibility that the funds could belong to a private investor, a large institution, or an exchange.

New XRP Wallet Receives $106 Million
On-chain records show that the XRP wallet r3p…ybc received exactly 82,314,668 XRP at 00:30 on October 20, 2026, worth more than $106 million at the time of reporting. The transfer activated the wallet, which has recorded no other transactions since receiving the funds.

XRP wallet gulps over 83 million tokens at once
Nearly 12 hours after the transfer, the wallet still held all 82.3 million XRP, with no recorded outflows. This means the tokens had not moved from the newly activated address during that period.

However, the available records do not reveal who controls the wallet and whether it belongs to an individual investor or a large institution.

The address that sent the funds, rN1…8uo, also holds a large amount of XRP. Despite transferring 82.3 million tokens to the new wallet, it retains approximately 142.7 million XRP worth $184 million at press time.

The transfer also marked the wallet’s first recorded outgoing payment since May 20, 2026. On that date, rN1…8uo sent 73 million XRP to another existing address, rpx…ZY1.

XRP Wallet Transfer History Reveals a Long-Standing Connection
Interestingly, the transaction history shows that rN1…8uo has consistently received its XRP from rpx…ZY1. This helps establish how the funds reached the newly activated wallet, although it does not reveal who owns the addresses.

Records show that rpx…ZY1 activated rN1…8uo in November 2025, sending it 10 XRP to open the account. Ten days later, the same address transferred 73 million XRP to the newly activated wallet. It followed that transfer with another 59.6 million XRP on Dec. 4, 2025, and then sent 73.9 million XRP on Dec. 12, 2025.

The pattern continued into 2026, with most transfers involving around 73 million XRP each. The latest transaction followed the same pattern of whale movements, as rN1…8uo sent the 82.3 million XRP to r3p…ybc from its existing balance.

These repeated transfers show that large XRP balances have moved between the connected wallets over several months.

Binance Connection
Tracing the transactions has not revealed the identity of the person or institution behind the wallets. However, the trail points toward Binance, as the address rpx…ZY1 was activated by a wallet linked to the exchange.

This connection leaves two possible explanations. An individual XRP whale may be using Binance to manage the funds, or Binance itself may have carried out the transfers. If the exchange controls the wallets, the movement could be part of an internal fund-rebalancing exercise, not a purchase by an outside investor.

Neither explanation has been confirmed. A wallet’s connection to an exchange does not necessarily mean the exchange owns the funds. Similarly, moving XRP between addresses does not automatically indicate buying or selling.

Latest Transfer Follows Earlier Large XRP Movements
The transaction also fits a trend discussed in an earlier report, which highlighted large XRP transfers that moved tokens away from exchanges.

Specifically, on Sept. 11, transactions involving at least 1 million XRP moved tokens worth approximately $165 million. This was the highest intraday total recorded since late February 2026. The latest transfer adds to the record of large XRP movements.

XRP Ledger před spuštěním opravuje úvěrový protokol
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 94
Original source text
In brief
XRP Ledger developers are patching its new lending protocol before it goes live, adding a follow-up amendment to fix the original LendingProtocol code while it’s still in the network’s voting queue.
The protocol enables on-chain, fixed-term, uncollateralized loans using pooled funds and “first-loss capital” to absorb defaults, relying on off-chain underwriting rather than automated collateral; amendments need 80% validator support over two weeks to activate.
The pre-launch fix follows a recent near-miss when developers patched a dormant payment-engine bug that could have minted counterfeit XRP.
The XRP Ledger is patching its new lending feature before a single loan has been written on it, adding a second code amendment to repair the system while it waits in the network’s approval queue.

The ledger’s lending protocol, a DeFi building block that enables on-chain, fixed-term, uncollateralized loans drawn from pooled funds, was introduced through an amendment called LendingProtocol that is still open for validator voting.

Myriad: Where does Solana go next? Click to make your prediction.Rather than wait for that version to go live and then fix it, developers have published a follow-up, LendingProtocolV1_1, that corrects issues in the original before it ever takes effect. The documentation now lists both amendments as requirements for the feature, meaning the network would adopt the repaired version from the start.

The approach reflects how changes reach the XRP Ledger. New features and fixes ship as amendments that must earn support from at least 80% of trusted validators over a two-week period before activating.

Because the original lending code hasn’t cleared that bar yet, patching it with a second amendment avoids launching a known-flawed system onto the live network, then scrambling to repair it afterward.

The protocol itself is built for institutional-style credit rather than the collateral-and-liquidation model common in DeFi. It relies on off-chain underwriting to vet borrowers and uses “first-loss capital,” a buffer a loan broker puts up to absorb the initial hit from defaults, in place of automated on-chain collateral. Issuers retain compliance tools, including the ability to freeze accounts or claw back funds.

The caution follows a close call elsewhere in the ledger’s code. Developers recently disclosed and fixed a critical bug in the XRP Ledger’s payment engine that could have let an attacker mint counterfeit XRP, a flaw that sat dormant for roughly a decade before a researcher flagged it. Fixing the lending code pre-launch fits a more cautious posture around new functionality.

The lending feature is part of a broader buildout of credit and DeFi capabilities on the XRP Ledger, which has been adding the financial-market plumbing Ripple and others have long said it lacked.

Ripple Prime se údajně připojila k tokenizační iniciativě DTCC
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 82
Original source text
XRP faced renewed selling pressure despite Ripple Prime’s reported entry into the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation’s (DTCC) tokenization initiative, with the token declining 0.24% to $1.3040 over the past 24 hours. The recent announcement has not spurred a price rally, leaving traders focused on critical technical levels and market reaction.

Ripple Prime’s DTCC Participation Under ScrutinyA post from analyst Amonyx called attention to Ripple Prime, a division of Ripple Labs specializing in institutional solutions, joining the DTCC’s new asset tokenization initiative. The DTCC, the leading US post-trade financial services company, reportedly manages $114 trillion in assets under custody.

However, the details released so far do not indicate that XRP itself will be used directly in the tokenization process. Market observers noted that while Ripple’s involvement in the project highlights its institutional growth, speculation over XRP’s role remains unresolved.

Ripple’s participation in the DTCC’s tokenization initiative has drawn attention to institutional adoption, but the announcement does not confirm direct integration of XRP in the project, leaving investors watching for further clarity.

Amonyx emphasized the scale of the DTCC initiative, underlining the significance for $XRP, but acknowledged that excitement remains contingent on whether the program creates tangible utility for the token.

Mini dictionary: DTCC – The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation is the central infrastructure provider for clearing, settlement, and information services for US financial markets. It is widely regarded as a backbone of the traditional securities industry, handling trillions of dollars in daily transactions.

Technical Levels: Key Support and ResistanceFollowing a September rally, XRP has lost momentum, falling below the 50-day moving average at $1.4144 and trading near its 200-day moving average at $1.2800. Technical analysts pointed out that the 200-day line is now a crucial support level. A sustained hold above it could stabilize the price; however, a further decline would likely increase downside risk.

Resistance sits at $1.4144 and a stronger barrier at $1.4895. Any move above the 50-day average may shift momentum toward the bullish side, while remaining below this level leaves the token exposed to further consolidation.

Price LevelSignificance$1.2800200-day moving average, key support$1.414450-day moving average, immediate resistance$1.4895Major resistanceDerivatives Data and Market ActivityCoinGlass derivatives data showed a decline in open interest from late September highs, moving alongside XRP’s falling price. This trend suggests a reduction in outstanding futures positions, but does not definitively signal whether the futures market is leaning bullish or bearish.

Trading volumes have also eased from previous peaks, with occasional spikes persisting. This indicates that October’s price drop has occurred without a sharp increase in trading activity compared to earlier periods.

XRP’s lower open interest and subdued volume reflect reduced speculative interest following September’s activity, leaving traders awaiting fresh catalysts.

ETF Flows: Outflows Temper SentimentAccording to data provider SoSoValue, XRP spot ETFs recorded a net outflow of $2.47 million on October 16, 2026. By that date, total net assets of these funds reached $1.47 billion, with cumulative inflows standing at $1.80 billion.

The negative daily flow signals near-term selling pressure, even as the longer-term picture remains positive due to the sum of inflows. Analysts noted these figures pertain to transactions through October 16, and do not guarantee the trend continues in subsequent days.

DateDaily Net FlowTotal Net AssetsCumulative Net InflowOctober 16, 2026-$2.47 million$1.47 billion$1.80 billionShort-Term Outlook and Next StepsXRP’s immediate prospects depend on whether buyers can defend the $1.2800 support and recover the $1.4144 resistance. The moving average convergence divergence (MACD) indicator remains negative, with the MACD line at -0.0367 below the signal line at -0.0210 and the histogram at -0.0157, sustaining a bearish momentum profile.

A recovery above the 50-day moving average could trigger renewed upward momentum toward $1.4895, while a break below the 200-day moving average would reinforce the risk of further declines.

Ripple Prime’s institutional partnership narrative has influenced market sentiment, but traders are seeking clearer evidence of direct XRP utility or investment inflows before adopting a more bullish stance. Volatility remains high, with key levels and derivative data playing a central role in the near-term XRP market outlook.

Evernorth plánuje financovat nákupy XRP prodejem akcií
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 88
Original source text
Ripple-backed Evernorth Holdings has submitted a new prospectus for approximately 11.5 million XRPN tokens to help build its XRP treasury. The SEC filing from October lists 11,499,992 Class A common shares which can be sold upon the exercise of public warrants. Evernorth has also announced its intention to sell more shares to acquire more XRP, as part of its focus to expand the company’s treasury.

Evernorth Registers 11.5M Shares As XRPN Trades Above Exercise Price The public warrants have an expiration date of December 27, 2012 and are to be redeemed at $11.50 per XRPN share. As of Oct. 16, the prospectus price of the XRPN stock is $15.45 and the XRPN warrant $4.16, according to the SEC filing.

This means that the warrants are in the money because the stock is currently trading at above the exercise price. Depending on market conditions and terms, cash exercise might become attractive for the warrant holder.

Yet, this does not imply that 11.5 million XRPN stock shares have been released. Actual number will vary based on warrant exercises. If warrant holders exercise their cash warrants at $11.50 a share, Evernorth will receive cash proceeds.

Evernorth has registered 11,499,992 Class A shares issuable on warrant exercise at $11.50. Shares last traded at $15.45 and warrants at $4.16 (Oct 16), so the warrants are in the money.

— Xaif Crypto (@Xaif_Crypto) October 20, 2026

The company will not receive any proceeds of the sale of shares covered by the prospectus.

More XRP Buying In Focus As Evernorth Expands Treasury Strategy The new release follows Evernorth’s recent XRP-focused strategy as it pursues it. It has announced that it intends to sell more units to help it buy more of XRP. It is viewed as a bullish news for XRP price, which is in a consolidation phase currently.

The prospectus doesn’t indicate whether the new XRP were purchased, nor does it state that proceeds generated from the exercise of warrants will be used to acquire the native XRP. However, if the warrants are exercised for cash and the company decides to use the proceeds for XRP, it would be a way to get additional capital.

Another thing in focus is the potential for share dilution with the filing. Warrant holders may exercise their warrants and receive additional shares of Evernorth, which could increase the number of XRPN stock shares outstanding.

With the increase in the total number of shares, each existing shareholder would have a smaller percentage of his or her company stock.

For XRP investors, the key question is whether Evernorth can turn future capital raising into additional XRP accumulation. The registration comes with a potential path for granting funds with a warrant, but any funds raised and purchase of XRP will be subject to future decision-making.

CFTC plánuje jednotný federální dohled nad kryptoburzami

CoinGecko News 82

Michael Passalacqua, Senior Advisor and Head of the Innovation Task Force at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), recently outlined the agency’s efforts to establish a unified federal oversight framework for crypto exchanges. Passalacqua delivered these remarks in a video interview circulated by the crypto analyst X Finance Bull, offering insight into what potential regulatory shifts could mean for XRP holders.

Federal oversight and the CLARITY ActPassalacqua stated that the CFTC aims to introduce a single national regulatory framework, enabling crypto asset exchanges to opt into federal supervision under the agency’s oversight. The public comment period for this proposal runs until December 14, and input from stakeholders remains open.

He referenced bipartisan support for granting the CFTC regulatory authority over the crypto asset sector, pointing to the CLARITY Act as a significant milestone in these developments. The CLARITY Act seeks to clarify how digital assets are regulated at the federal level, designating clear jurisdiction for agencies such as the CFTC.

Passalacqua emphasized that “the goal of this is to provide a federal option for crypto asset exchanges to opt into a national uniform framework under the CFTC’s oversight.” He noted that bipartisan support exists for the CFTC to regulate the crypto asset industry.

Mini dictionary: CLARITY Act, proposed US legislation aiming to clarify the regulatory status of digital assets and establish a clear framework for oversight by federal agencies, notably the CFTC.

XRP’s commodity classification and regulatory contextXRP was officially classified as a digital commodity by both the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the CFTC on March 17. This designation places XRP within the regulatory perimeter the CFTC intends to oversee under the proposed federal framework.

In October, the CFTC introduced Regulation CTX and Regulation CAM, which address areas such as exchange registration, market surveillance, customer asset protection, margin requirements, and custody. These regulations are designed to strengthen oversight surrounding digital commodities like XRP.

Institutional adoption and growing infrastructureX Finance Bull highlighted that substantial institutional infrastructure for XRP is already in place. Major entities, including Bitwise, Grayscale, Franklin Templeton, 21Shares, CME Group, Ripple Prime, and EDX Markets, maintain exposure to XRP or offer related services. This infrastructure serves as a foundation for broader institutional participation.

Between December 2025 and June 2026, Bitwise’s XRP ETF holdings increased significantly from around 131.22 million XRP to 286.84 million XRP, reflecting elevated institutional demand. CME Group currently supports both standard XRP futures and Micro XRP futures, alongside options contracts. Ripple Prime facilitates institutional access to XRP and RLUSD trading, derivatives, financing, and liquidity services.

If 100 institutions allocate $25 million each to XRP, acquisition demand would total $2.5 billion. Doubling both the number of institutions and allocation size to 200 and $50 million each would increase demand to $10 billion.

He described current US regulatory steps as building the necessary “rails” to streamline XRP’s institutional trading, hedging, financing, and custody. The ongoing CFTC public comment period will conclude December 14, with impending regulatory changes expected to further shape XRP’s institutional landscape.

XRP získalo právní jasnost díky verdiktu z roku 2023
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 88
Original source text
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has admitted that the collapse of the CLARITY Act hurt. He also says XRP no longer needs Congress to settle the question that hung over it for years.

Speaking during celebrations for Evernorth’s Nasdaq listing, Garlinghouse said the bill’s failure “definitely stung.” He added that he had personally put a lot of energy into getting the crypto market structure bill through Congress.

“We Have Clarity”

Garlinghouse said XRP holders are in a stronger position than the failed vote suggests. He pointed to the outcome of Ripple’s long court battle with the SEC, saying the federal judge wrote in her opinion that “XRP is not a security.”

“So, we have clarity,” he said.

That ruling came from Judge Analisa Torres in July 2023. She found that XRP is not a security by itself and that Ripple’s sales of XRP on public exchanges were not securities offerings. She also ruled, however, that Ripple’s direct sales of XRP to institutional investors did count as unregistered securities sales.

Regulators Are Filling The Gap

The CLARITY Act failed a Senate cloture vote 49 to 50 on September 15. Garlinghouse said the SEC and CFTC have stepped into rulemaking to cover what the bill was meant to do. He said there are also lessons to learn from what went wrong in Congress.

Can A Future Regulator Undo It?

Garlinghouse acknowledged that a future SEC or CFTC chair could take a harsher stance on crypto. He said that is possible, but argued that years of progress cannot simply be rolled back.

When the interviewer described it as being unable to “put the genie back in the bottle,” Garlinghouse agreed.

Why It Matters For XRP

Without a law from Congress, crypto’s rules now come mostly from regulators and courts. Rules made by agencies can be changed by future leadership more easily than an act of Congress. For XRP specifically, Garlinghouse is relying on the 2023 court ruling as the foundation for its legal status.

Ripple [XRP] is trading around the $1.30 level, with the altcoin only up by a percent in the past 24 hours. The sentiment is down around 6% even though the number of mentions and engagements was substantial, at around 100.83K.

Despite the slowness in the price of XRP, what happened overnight proved there could be something beneath.

Transaction volume explodes as South Korean traders dominate
As per sentiment data, XRP Ledger transaction volume exploded from around $832 million to $49.66 billion. Over the past week, volume was ranging below the $1 billion mark. This was more than a 50x increase in just a few hours.

This surge in the total dollar value of coins transferred on-chain coincided with a rebound from $1.25. The massive change in volume could mark the bottom for XRP even though it was yet to be confirmed.

Source: Ali Charts/X
Of this volume, most of the exchange transactions came from South Korean traders. Even with the general market looking ugly, XRP/KRW was the top spot pair by volume, beating Bitcoin [BTC].

As per CoinMarketCap, the pair accounted for 10.18% of the total, which is equivalent to $55 million, while BTC was at 7.82% with $42 million. This showed Asian traders were buying XRP over BTC as the price jumped from $1.25 to $1.30.

Will XRP call Options push prices up?
Further analysis of the Options data indicated that buyers were dominating activity. As per data from Deribit, calls were double the number of puts, that is, at 31,327 against 16,628.

The notional Open Interest (OI) was $62.30 million for a Put/Call Ratio of 0.53. The largest notional value of XRP was worth $4.22 million, placing the $2 target area into focus.

Source: Deribit
While Options positioning leans bullish, buyers are beginning to appear in the most important areas. These bulls are defending the $1.25 support zone once again despite selling pressure from whales.

It bounced off the $1.25 demand area but faces rejection at $1.30. The altcoin needs to stay above this level with the Money Flow Index (MFI) in support. The MFI rallied from oversold territory to 49.

Additionally, the Bull Bear Power (BBP) also flipped green, though the momentum was still fresh. Now, the altcoin has had the longest streak of green 4-hour sessions since the 12th of October.

Therefore, XRP appeared to be headed toward $1.40, and the building momentum suggests a move toward $1.50. Otherwise, the altcoin may fall back to $1 if the support zone is lost.

Final Summary

XRP Ledger transaction volume exploded from $832 million to $49.66 billion over the night.
XRP call Options are double puts, which set up the altcoin to reclaim $1.40 or higher if $1.25 can hold.

XRP Ledger zaznamenal příliv 1,9 miliardy USD do RWA
ETH Ethereum XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 95
Original source text
The XRP Ledger (XRPL) has recorded $1.9 billion in net real-world asset (RWA) inflows over the past six months, ranking second among tracked blockchain networks.

XRP Ranks Second in RWA Netflows Data from RWA.xyz, a leading provider of RWA analytics data, shows that BNB Chain leads with $2.2 billion in net inflows, followed by XRPL. Solana ranks third with $1.6 billion, while Stellar comes fourth with $1.5 billion.

Meanwhile, Avalanche recorded $637 million in positive net flows, while Base, Monad, and Robinhood attracted $210 million, $200 million, and $199 million, respectively. These figures exclude stablecoin flows and show changes in other tokenized real-world assets.

XRP Ledger has recorded nearly $2 billion in RWA netflows in 6 months The rankings change when stablecoins are included. Notably, TRON takes the top spot with $7.8 billion in six-month net flows, followed by HyperEVM with $5.0 billion and Solana with $2.6 billion. XRPL ranks fourth with $2.5 billion in net inflows under this broader measure.

The increased figure confirms the role of Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin in the network’s growing tokenized asset market. BNB Chain and Stellar each recorded $1.7 billion in stablecoin-inclusive net inflows, while Robinhood followed with $1.2 billion.

Ethereum Leads All Networks in RWA Outflows Ethereum recorded $2.7 billion in net RWA outflows over the same six-month period, the largest decline among blockchain networks in the dataset that excludes stablecoin flows.

XRPL RWA netflows including stablecoins Plume was the only other network with negative net flows under this measure, recording $223 million in outflows. While most of the tracked networks attracted more capital than they lost, Ethereum and Plume moved in the opposite direction.

Including stablecoins widened Ethereum’s losses. Its net outflows reached $22.3 billion over six months, exceeding the figures recorded by other networks in the analysis. Arbitrum also posted negative net flows, with $3.0 billion in outflows, while Polygon recorded $619 million.

This confirms that substantial net capital left Ethereum’s combined tokenized asset and stablecoin ecosystem during the period. However, the data alone does not show that investors have permanently abandoned Ethereum or confirm that all the capital moved to other blockchains.

XRPL Sees Rapid RWA Growth in 2026 The XRP Ledger reached several important milestones in 2026 as its tokenized asset market expanded. The network started the year with $518 million in distributed RWA value. By the end of the first quarter, the figure had climbed to $2.25 billion, marking a 124% increase from the previous quarter.

Growth continued in May, when XRPL’s tokenized real-world assets surpassed $3.53 billion, setting a new all-time high. The combined value of its RWAs and stablecoins also exceeded $5.37 billion.

XRPL reached $400 million in tokenized value in just 14.9 months, while Ethereum took 36 months to reach the same level. While this shows the faster pace at which XRPL reached its early milestone, it does not guarantee that the network will maintain the same growth rate.

Several asset types have contributed to XRPL’s expansion. Justoken’s JMWH energy tokens account for $2.23 billion of the network’s total tokenized value, making them its largest single contributor.

Tokenized commodities and asset-backed credit have also expanded the range of assets available on the ledger. This has helped broaden XRPL’s RWA market, but the large share held by JMWH means that one asset accounts for a substantial part of the reported total.

Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin has also grown considerably, rising from $235 million to more than $1 billion during 2026. In February 2026, Ripple announced a partnership with Aviva Investors to bring traditional fund structures onto the XRP Ledger.

Sparkassen spustila obchodování s kryptoměnami bez možnosti výběrů do soukromých peněženek

CoinGecko News 95
Original source text
Germany’s Sparkassen savings bank network launched cryptocurrency trading on Monday, allowing customers to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Polygon. The service is being rolled out through DekaBank and will be launched slowly in the participating savings banks, albeit with restrictions on transfers to personal wallets.

Sparkassen Launches Five Cryptocurrencies Through Banking App Under certain conditions, the Sparkassen customers of DekaBank can trade five cryptocurrencies directly via the existing banking application. The offering is named “Krypto – powered by Deka,” and it enables trading in BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, and POL.

The service can be used in the investment part of the Sparkasse app without the need for a separate securities account. Each transaction costs €0.99, although additional costs arise from the difference between buying and selling prices.

The launch comes after a series of initiatives by German banks to bring on-board cryptocurrency trading to existing customer accounts. DekaBank has created the Sparkassen service, and DZ Bank has backed up a separate rollout amongst Germany’s cooperative banks.

DekaBank is custodian of cryptocurrencies on its own wallet infrastructure and participates in trading arrangements with Börse Stuttgart. Users will have the ability to see their cryptocurrency assets in addition to various other monetary products and services in the current application.

DekaBank Restricts Crypto Withdrawals to Approved Providers While it is possible to buy cryptocurrencies at Sparkassen, they cannot be transferred directly to private hardware wallets. DekaBank maintains the private keys, and only specific cryptocurrency service providers are allowed to make transfers.

The agreement involves customers having to trust that DekaBank will keep their digital assets safe and handle their permitted withdrawals. However, the restrictions do not prevent users from selling their cryptocurrencies through the banking application.

The service is aimed at adult customers who make it on their own, and Sparkassen will not give investment advice on cryptocurrencies. DekaBank also cautions investors that the value of digital assets could be volatile with a potential loss of investment.

The custody is part of a broader trend across German financial institutions, including Deutsche Bank’s cryptocurrency custody plans. These services are regulated under EU laws, such as the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation.

Sparkassen Plans Wider Crypto Trading Rollout Into 2027 More than 230 Sparkassen institutions have expressed interest in introducing cryptocurrency trading, according to German banking representatives. Each savings bank, however, will determine on its own if and when it will provide the service.

Around 30 to 40 institutions can join monthly, said Joachim Schmalzl, an executive board member of the German Savings Banks Association. The group is targeting the first half of 2027 for the largest number of interested banks to be connected.

The first phase is limited to the participating institutions and not nationwide through Germany’s savings banking network. Before opening a cryptocurrency account, customers should therefore inquire whether their local Sparkasse has switched on the service.

The expansion comes after the banking group’s earlier stance on digital assets. Sparkassen had previously been against the retail trading of cryptocurrencies due to concerns about price volatility and losses by investors.

The group is still pushing traditional securities and savings products as a way to build up long-term wealth, even with the introduction of cryptocurrency trading.

Schwartz očekává průlom DeFi pro veřejnost v roce 2027
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 72
Original source text
David Schwartz, the CTO Emeritus of Ripple, who helped develop the XRP Ledger (XRPL) from scratch, has teased some big changes coming to the decentralized finance (DeFi) space, as it appears that a retail-friendly breakthrough is just around the corner.

David is excited about what retail DeFi is going to look like in 2027 and we're "really close" to finding out. 1) I believe retail DeFi on the XRP Ledger will be very exciting in 2027. We have a lot of tailwind building up. It's the year institutions and retail meet on the DEX. This will be no doubt the most interesting catalyst not many have on their radar imo. 2) Ripple's acquisition and customers coming on chain is a flip of the switch moment. We have heard from Monica in Korea about goals to drive more Ripple customer activity on the XRP Ledger. Think of the groundwork done so far with crucial XRPL amendments for on chain compliance (PDEX/PDomain) and soon privacy, as well stablecoin issuers and regulated trading venues. Great interview Tony, as per usual :)

— Vet (@Vet_X0) October 18, 2026 During his recent interview, Schwartz expressed his optimism regarding DeFi's future in 2027.

HOT Stories

"But generally, in the industry, tokenization is really kicking off, and the regulatory hurdles are really starting to fall," noted Schwartz.

The Ripple veteran then also talked about how a whole new market can be formed around blockchain finance applications.

"What does the, like, blockchain user, like, look like? What is the product that…" Schwartz asked, noting that the potential formation of the market was akin to the enormous user base that app developers have for Android or iOS.

"That's the world that's gonna be super exciting. And we're really close," he emphasized.

Schwartz appeared to imply that the next chapter in blockchain adoption could potentially bring decentralized finance products to the general masses and not just crypto enthusiasts.

However, he refrained from mentioning any product or announcing any definitive date.

AI agents could reshape DeFiDuring the conversation, Schwartz also touched upon his idea of using AI agents for handling finance-related work for the general masses.

"And so you can imagine the world where, like, everyone's money is managed by agents. Which solves all those problems for them," he said.

The Ripple veteran then went on to wonder how DeFi would adapt to this change.

"What are you going to want from DeFi in that world? I think that's the problem that we're coming up with," noted Schwartz.

Rezervy XRP na burzách dosáhly ročního maxima
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 92
Original source text
On-chain data from CryptoQuant shows XRP exchange reserves have climbed to approximately 11.81 billion XRP, a level that sits at the 99th percentile of the trailing 365 days.

For XRP investors, that combination raises a near-term question. Rising supply on exchanges increases available sell-side liquidity.

Yet the concurrent leverage reset could actually set up cleaner conditions if spot demand returns.

Supply Piles Up as Leverage Unwinds
The XRP exchange reserves surge did not arrive in isolation. Binance open interest closed at, down roughly 15.8% from earlier in the month.

Long liquidations spiked during the same stretch, clearing out leveraged longs before the reserves number peaked.

The move was flagged by analyst CryptoOnchain in an Oct 18 X post, who noted that supply is stacking on exchanges even as derivatives positioning has quietly reset.

ripple:native Exchange Reserves Reach the 99th Percentile of the Past Year as Binance Leverage Unwinds

Exchange reserves for ripple:native stood at 11.81B on October 17, the 99th percentile of the past 365 days.

Binance ripple:native open interest closed at $453.0M on October… pic.twitter.com/JFwczpVcON

— CryptoOnchain (@CryptoOnchain) October 18, 2026

CryptoOnchain’s read is direct: “Leverage has reset faster than exchange supply has.” In plain terms, derivatives traders have been shaken out. But the coins they, and others, moved to exchanges are still sitting there.

That dynamic echoes what 30-day XRP whale inflows to Binance showed just weeks ago, when large-wallet deposits hit a six-month high of 1.6 billion XRP. Supply has been building across multiple timeframes.

The contrast is worth noting. When Binance XRP reserves were falling in June, analysts called it a bullish signal as selling pressure eased.

Now the move has reversed, and XRP exchange reserves are at the opposite extreme.

XRP itself has traded in the $1.28–$1.35 range. Price softened after the September PPI came in at 6.3%, well above forecasts, adding macro headwinds on top of on-chain supply pressure.

Institutional Demand as the Potential Offset
Rising exchange reserves do not automatically confirm a sell-off. Direction over the next 5–10 sessions matters far more than the static level.

And there are structural demand factors that were not present in prior reserve peaks.

Evernorth, the Nasdaq-listed XRP treasury company with 473M XRP under management, began deploying institutional strategies in Q4 2026 alongside partners Ripple, Kraken, Coinbase, and BitGo.

That treasury is designed to absorb, not add to, exchange supply.

On the XRPL side, Ripple’s approval of the Sponsored Fees and Reserves amendment signals continued ecosystem development.

Meanwhile, Doppler’s XRP Vault crossing $125M in TVL shows on-chain yield demand is drawing coins away from exchanges and into productive use, a direct counter-force to reserve accumulation.

Spot XRP ETFs have recorded cumulative net inflows of approximately $1.8 billion, offering another demand-side anchor. But daily flow momentum has moderated recently.

The picture is not binary. Elevated XRP exchange reserves at extreme percentile levels raise the probability of volatility if coins begin moving into order books.

Watch for net flow direction on CryptoQuant’s all-exchanges metric over the next week.

A sustained draw-down from current levels, combined with stable ETF inflows and continued on-chain activity, would meaningfully shift the near-term risk picture.

XRP ETF společnosti Bitwise spravuje aktiva v hodnotě 541,12 milionu USD

Bitwise's spot XRP ETF holds more than $541 million in net assets, with cumulative net inflows of $684.73 million, according to SoSoValue data.

Bitwise's (@Bitwise) spot XRP exchange-traded fund has passed the half-billion-dollar mark in net assets. The fund, which tracks $XRP, held $541.12 million as of October 17, according to figures from the SoSoValue fund tracker reported by COINOTAG.

The same dataset puts cumulative net inflows at $684.73 million. The product gives investors a way to gain exposure to XRP price moves without buying or storing the token directly.

Largest fund in the XRP ETF sectorSoSoValue's XRP ETF dashboard lists the Bitwise fund with a 0.34% fee, according to the data provider. It trades on NYSE under the ticker XRP.

The fund is the largest of the US spot XRP products by cumulative inflows. Data cited by Coinpaper shows Franklin Templeton's fund with roughly $509 million and Canary Capital's with nearly $487 million. Those products began launching in November 2025, and total net inflows across the category reached about $1.8 billion by mid-October.

Steady inflows since launch point to continued demand for regulated XRP exposure. U.Today noted that the trend looks more like accumulated demand than a short-term event, as Digital Today reported.

What the numbers do and do not showNet assets and net inflows are different measures. Inflows reflect subscriptions minus redemptions, while net assets track the current market value of holdings, according to Coinpaper. That is why Bitwise's net assets of $541.12 million sit below its $684.73 million in cumulative inflows: changes in the XRP price affect the value of what the fund holds.

Neither figure translates directly into a set amount of XRP bought by the fund. The same caveat appears in U.Today's report on the milestone.

Daily flows across the sector have also been uneven. XRP spot ETFs recorded a $2.47 million net outflow on October 16, entirely from the Canary XRP ETF, according to SoSoValue data relayed by KuCoin News. On October 14, Bitwise was the only issuer to attract new capital, though the inflow was small at about $740,400.

For now, Bitwise's fund remains the clearest gauge of how much money is flowing into XRP through traditional markets, even as the token's price and daily flows fluctuate.

56 % XRP je neaktivních již rok

CoinGecko News 82
Original source text

Yedi ila on yıllık grupta da artış görüldü. Bu grubun arz içindeki payı yüzde 3,894’ten yüzde 5,411’e çıktı. Buna karşılık yılın başında en büyük uzun vadeli grup olan üç ila beş yıllık kategorinin payı yüzde 18,432’den yüzde 17,801’e geriledi.

İki ila üç yıllık grup yüzde 5,621’den yüzde 5,073’e, beş ila yedi yıllık grup ise yüzde 4,597’den yüzde 4,324’e düştü. On yıldan uzun süredir hareket etmeyen tokenların payı da yüzde 6,747’den yüzde 6,555’e indi.

Altı ila on iki aylık gruptaki tokenlar hareket etmeden kalırsa önümüzdeki aylarda bir yıldan uzun süredir tutulan arz kategorisine geçebilir.

XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
According to David Schwartz, the chief architect of the XRP Ledger and Ripple’s CTO Emeritus, most people who hold or follow XRP do not know what its underlying network was built to do.

Schwartz spoke at Nasdaq during the celebration of Evernorth’s public listing. He said the most common misunderstanding is about where the XRP Ledger sits among the major blockchains. In his view, it has more functionality than Bitcoin but less than Ethereum or Solana, and that middle position is deliberate.

The Misconception Schwartz Wants To CorrectSchwartz described the ledger as built for a narrow set of financial tasks rather than general-purpose computing. Those tasks include:

Tokenization of real-world assetsPayments and liquidityLendingStablecoinsHe said this focus makes the network strong for some use cases and a poor fit for others. It does not support every application a developer might write. Instead, the ledger comes with what he called curated financial primitives, designed to meet the standards financial institutions expect.

Three Reasons Institutions Pick The XRP LedgerAsked why a bank or financial firm should build on the network, Schwartz gave three reasons:

It is fast, cheap and reliable. It is decentralized, so no single party can turn the system against its users. It comes connected to ready-made financial tools.RLUSD And A Multi-Chain FutureSchwartz said XRP Ledger supporters should not expect a single-chain outcome. Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin runs on the XRP Ledger, but he said it also needs to be on other networks to reach more users and deeper liquidity.

He explained the goal in personal terms. People leave money idle in bank accounts, he said, because moving it somewhere it can earn a return takes effort. He wants the industry to reach a point where users think only about what their money is doing, not where it sits.

AI Agents Could Turn Blockchains Into Settlement LayersOn artificial intelligence, Schwartz said high-volume payments between AI agents may run on fast, low-cost payment channels, with final settlement on a blockchain. He expects some countries to become net buyers of AI services and others net sellers. Settling those imbalances, he said, will require a neutral settlement network. He did not say that network would be the XRP Ledger.

Ripple’s 2027 FocusLooking ahead to 2027, Schwartz pointed to Ripple’s acquisitions of GTreasury and Hidden Road. He said Ripple is combining them into one business. It plans to cross-sell products to clients who already move trillions of dollars through systems that do not touch crypto.

Schwartz said the Evernorth listing shows crypto connecting with traditional finance. It gives investors a way to hold XRP through retirement accounts and on corporate balance sheets.

Objem obchodů na Upbit klesl o 15,5 %, v čele bylo XRP
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 75
Original source text
South Korea’s biggest crypto exchange just had a quieter week. Upbit reported weekly trading volume of 8.35 trillion won for the week ending October 18, 2026, a 15.5% decrease from the prior week.

That works out to approximately $6.28 billion.

The more interesting detail sits inside the total. XRP was the most traded asset on the platform during the week, finishing ahead of both Bitcoin and USDT.

Inside the numbers
In mid-October 2026, Upbit’s 24-hour trading volumes swung between $340 million and over $1.2 billion on active days.

The ranking of assets adds texture. XRP topped the volume table, with Bitcoin in second and the stablecoin USDT in third.

USDT’s presence in the top three is also worth a brief note. Stablecoins are tokens designed to track the US dollar, so heavy USDT trading can reflect traders moving between risk assets and something closer to cash.

A wider slowdown across Korean exchanges
Upbit was not alone in feeling the slowdown. Volume across major South Korean platforms fell by 19.56% in a preceding week, pointing to a broader pullback rather than a problem specific to one venue.

Measured against that figure, Upbit’s 15.5% decline looks somewhat milder.

Upbit has consistently held its position as the leading exchange in the country, regularly outpacing rivals such as Bithumb.

Upbit’s volumes have often reacted to swings in domestic stock markets, which suggests many Korean traders treat crypto and equities as neighboring options rather than separate worlds.

What this means for traders and the market
The most immediate implication is about liquidity. Lower volume generally means thinner order books, which can make prices more sensitive to large buy or sell orders.

XRP’s leadership is the other storyline to watch. Even as total activity fell, traders still concentrated a large share of their attention on a single asset, and that asset was not Bitcoin.

For the competitive landscape, rivals like Bithumb face the same headwinds. The broader 19.56% drop seen in a preceding week suggests the challenge across the sector is attracting volume at all, not just winning share from one another.

Looking ahead, the key signals will be whether weekly volume stabilizes near the 8.35 trillion won level or keeps sliding, and whether XRP keeps its spot at the top of the table.

CoinGecko News 75

CoinDesk has published a comparative chart highlighting the performance of major cryptocurrencies since their peaks in December 2017 and January 2018. According to the chart, Bitcoin is trading 314% above its previous all time high, while BNB leads the group with a gain of 2,818%. Ethereum has risen 66% over its earlier peak, and Dogecoin has gained 322%.

Lagging performance for XRP against peersUnlike these assets, XRP currently trades around $1.33, which remains 62.5% below its all time high from January 2018. This underperformance stands out in the context of other large-cap cryptocurrencies, all of which have exceeded their previous highs by substantial margins.

Commentators in the crypto community, including Digital Asset Investor (@digitalassetbuy), have drawn attention to the divergence. Many see XRP’s position as evidence of lagging returns. However, Digital Asset Investor takes a different view, arguing the circumstances behind the numbers set XRP apart from its competitors.

Legal headwinds and their impactDigital Asset Investor emphasized that the CoinDesk analysis does not reflect the unique challenges XRP has faced in recent years. He pointed out that XRP was the only token among those compared that dealt with five years of regulatory pressure and enforcement actions, most notably a prolonged lawsuit by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

At one time, XRP surpassed Ethereum by market capitalization and was positioned to potentially challenge Bitcoin as the leading cryptocurrency. Digital Asset Investor suggested the legal challenges directed at Ripple and XRP were significant factors contributing to the asset’s prolonged period of underperformance relative to its peers.

He sees these challenges not as evidence of fundamental weakness but as important context behind the numbers. He maintains that regulatory uncertainty has suppressed XRP’s ability to follow the growth of other large cryptocurrencies.

“XRP was the only one out of all of that list that has been attacked in every way known to man, including a five-year SEC lawsuit,” Digital Asset Investor stated, adding that the prolonged legal battles weighed heavily on the asset’s market trajectory.

Mini dictionary: Ripple, a San Francisco–based fintech company, is the primary developer of XRP and its network; the SEC lawsuit alleged that sales of XRP constituted an unregistered securities offering, a case watched closely by the global crypto industry.

He pointed out that regulatory clarity is returning, with the SEC and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) pushing for clearer rules in the US market.

Digital Asset Investor explained that these developments have led him to become “more bullish on XRP by a long shot than any of them,” referring to Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, and Dogecoin.

He maintains that, “All of the roadblocks are out of the way now,” and that the resolution of the legal battle has put XRP in a better position to regain lost ground.

Expectations for XRP’s future priceLooking ahead, Digital Asset Investor stated that he does not intend to sell his XRP position at a price of $5 to $10, indicating his belief that these levels would not reflect the full potential of a post-litigation XRP market. He interprets the underperformance shown by CoinDesk’s chart as a sign that XRP remains a compressed asset now ready to move, rather than a project in decline.

Kombinované CVD XRP kleslo téměř o 2 miliardy USD
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 84
Original source text
XRP has seen heavy selling across spot and perpetual futures markets, with combined cumulative volume delta (CVD) down nearly $2 billion.

This occurred between Sept. 23 and Oct. 16. During the same period, XRP’s open interest on Binance and Bybit dropped considerably, indicating that traders were reducing their positions amid the persistent selling pressure.

XRP CVD Shows Widespread Selling For context, cumulative volume delta (CVD) measures the difference between aggressive market buys and sells. When CVD falls, it means sellers are hitting buyers’ bids more often than buyers are lifting sellers’ offers. This shows continued selling pressure, not normal back-and-forth trading.

Across all centralized exchanges, the estimated spot XRP CVD fell from -$1.9 billion to -$3.2 billion during the period under consideration. This marked a further $1.3 billion in net aggressive selling.

Meanwhile, Binance’s perpetual XRP CVD also declined, moving from -$812 million to -$1.5 billion, a further drop of $688 million.

Combined XRP CVD collapses by nearly $2 billion across the spot and perpetual markets Both figures show that selling pressure affected spot trading and leveraged derivatives at the same time. The two readings recorded a combined CVD decline of $1.988 billion, bringing the total close to $2 billion.

This trend had already emerged earlier in the quarter. By mid-September, on-chain data showed that Binance’s perpetual CVD had fallen to around -$1 billion, while estimated spot CVD across centralized exchanges stood at approximately -$2.1 billion, according to CryptoQuant data.

With the recent decline moving close to $2 billion again, the data shows that selling continued beyond mid-September and pushed both readings further into negative territory.

XRP Open Interest Falls on Binance and Bybit The XRP CVD drop also coincided with a drop in derivatives positions on Binance and Bybit. On Binance, XRP open interest fell from 302 million XRP to 228 million XRP, a decline of 74 million XRP, or 24.5%.

Bybit recorded a larger drop, with open interest falling from 359 million XRP to 258 million XRP, a reduction of 101 million XRP, or 28.1%. Across both exchanges, open interest declined by a combined 175 million XRP, representing a 26.5% reduction in outstanding derivatives positions.

Notably, open interest measures the total number of futures and perpetual contracts that remain active. When it falls alongside declining prices and increasingly negative CVD, it often indicates that traders are closing leveraged long positions, not necessarily opening new short positions. This suggests deleveraging.

Importantly, deleveraging can help remove excess leverage from the market. As traders close their positions, the smaller derivatives market may face less forced selling once most vulnerable long positions have exited. However, this does not guarantee an immediate recovery.

XRP Liquidations Confirm the Market-Wide Unwind Meanwhile, liquidation data also confirms the pressure on bullish traders. During the period under consideration, XRP recorded several long-liquidation spikes exceeding $10 million each, with one peak reaching nearly $17 million.

XRP’s liquidation heatmap also shows a notable difference between the size of potential liquidations above and below the current price.

Specifically, two highlighted short-liquidation clusters above the market contain a combined $54.7 million, while two highlighted long-liquidation clusters below the market total just $14.17 million.

The short-liquidation clusters above the current price are about 3.86 times larger than the highlighted long-liquidation clusters below it. This suggests that the larger concentration of potentially trapped leveraged positions lies among short sellers above XRP’s current price.

XRP Ledger validator Vet argues that blockchain technology is transforming the future of finance through crypto assets like XRP, 24/7 trading, and easier access to global markets.

In a post on X, Vet explained that major innovations often begin with people who believe in the future. He believes some people doubt XRP’s potential because they are too pessimistic about what lies ahead.

“We live in a world people called Sci-Fi decades ago,” Vet wrote, adding that blockchain technology is disrupting traditional finance through tokenization, 24/7 trading, global access, and censorship resistance.

“New money, folks!” he added, expressing confidence in the XRP Ledger’s role in this transition.

Meanwhile, recent developments at Ripple provide examples of how blockchain-based financial services are moving closer to traditional banking infrastructure.

RLUSD Moves Into Banking and Global Payments Ripple is making it easier for banks and financial companies to adopt blockchain technology through its stablecoin, RLUSD, and the XRP Ledger (XRPL).

On October 15, Ripple announced a partnership with Cross River Bank to integrate RLUSD into the bank’s systems. The move supports transactions on the XRP Ledger.

The partnership will allow financial companies to send and settle payments using U.S. dollars and RLUSD 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Customers will be able to access RLUSD through a single connection without having to build their own blockchain infrastructure. The partnership also aims to support international payments and transfers.

Ripple also reported that RLUSD’s market capitalization had surpassed $2.5 billion, with more than $1 billion worth of the stablecoin issued on the XRP Ledger.

RLUSD payments are becoming part of the banking infrastructure fintechs already use.

— Ripple (@Ripple) October 15, 2026

Ripple Prime Introduces 24/7 Trading Meanwhile, Ripple also announced new trading services through Ripple Prime on October 15. The service allows institutional investors to gain exposure to traditional assets, including stocks, commodities, and currencies, through markets that operate around the clock.

Ripple Prime also allows RLUSD to be used as collateral for certain transactions, giving the stablecoin another use case in institutional finance. The service is currently available in select markets, with plans to expand into other regions.

Ripple Partners With DriveWealth On October 14, Ripple announced a partnership with DriveWealth, a company that provides investment services to financial platforms.

The partnership aims to use RLUSD for payments and settlements, help investors move money across borders, and explore additional financial services.

The goal is to make it easier for international investors to fund their brokerage accounts quickly without relying entirely on traditional payment systems.

DriveWealth works with more than 100 partners worldwide, giving Ripple access to a broader network of investment platforms.

What This Means for the XRP Ledger These partnerships demonstrate how Ripple is working to integrate blockchain technology into traditional finance. The XRP Ledger can process transactions quickly, while RLUSD provides a digital representation of the U.S. dollar for supported payments and financial services.

If more banks and financial companies adopt these services, the XRP Ledger could see increased usage.

Ultimately, Vet believes that blockchain technology is reshaping global finance and that the XRP Ledger will play a significant role in that future. He encourages stakeholders to focus on long-term possibilities rather than dismissing them because of current limitations.

97 % dlouhých pozic v XRP bylo otevřeno nad spotovou cenou
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 82
Original source text
Recent data from Coinbase Markets has revealed significant imbalances in XRP derivatives positioning. The current spot price of XRP stands at $1.31, notably lower than the levels at which the majority of bullish derivatives positions were initiated. This gap has drawn close attention to net-long exposure in the XRP market.

XRP derivatives skewed above spot priceA substantial volume of XRP short positions has congregated around the $1.49 and $1.50 price points, with the largest single cluster exceeding $20 million in notional value. In contrast, the bulk of long exposure in the derivatives market was established around $1.40, roughly 7% higher than the current market price. The skew in positioning highlights the vulnerability of net-long traders to any further downward moves.

Coinbase Markets identified that 97% of net-long notional exposure was opened at prices above the present spot rate. This insight is based on Glassnode’s net entry-price heatmap, which bins long and short positions by price level to depict the current state of derivatives exposure as of October 15.

The largest cluster of net-long XRP positions entered at $1.40, while the spot price remains at $1.31. This means that 97% of net-long notional was entered above today’s price.

Context for derivatives exposureThe 97% figure does not reflect the entire population of XRP investors but refers specifically to net derivatives exposure. Glassnode calculates this by taking the net difference between long and short positions at each identified price. A positive value at a given position indicates a predominance of longs, while a negative value means shorts outnumber longs at that level. The data does not represent potential liquidation thresholds, as those depend on individual margin, leverage, and collateral choices.

Shorts have gained dominance in this environment, with market structure currently favoring sellers. The charted entry prices also do not align with forced liquidation points, which can vary widely depending on leverage and risk management.

Potential price impacts and trader responsesThis arrangement in the derivatives market creates possible implications for XRP’s near-term price movements. With so many long positions entered significantly above spot, many traders may face pressure to close losing positions, potentially triggering further selloffs if the market declines. A cascading effect of margin closures could follow, reinforcing downward price pressure.

Alternatively, a move back toward $1.40 or higher could lead some traders to hold or expand positions, believing in a price recovery. The resolution of this clustering will likely influence overall volatility, depending on which way the price breaks next.

Active market monitoring is now critical for traders managing significant derivatives exposure. In a market where a single Fed decision or a sudden altcoin listing can change everything in seconds, jumping between different apps for charts, news, and portfolio tracking is costing investors money. Smart traders are now utilizing privacy-first tools like CryptoAppsy to consolidate everything. Without even the hassle of creating an account, you get real-time charts, smart price alerts, coin-specific news, and critical macro data all on one screen.

For now, the large discrepancy between long entry prices and the current market rate means substantial uncertainty persists for highly leveraged positions. Market participants are watching for further shifts in derivatives positioning as XRP fluctuates at these key price thresholds.

Activity on the XRP Ledger just dropped sharply. Payment volume, which tracks XRP sent from one account to another, fell to 119.5 million XRP on October 17. That is a 72.3% drop in a single day. The 30-day average sits at 629.3 million, so the latest print is far below normal. The all-time high is 7 billion, which shows how small today's number is by comparison.

Price has no substance Data for October 18 shows approximately 37.5 million XRP so far, down another 68.6%. The day is not finished, so this figure will likely rise. Even so, the direction is clear. Over the past year, daily volume typically stayed between 300 million and 1 billion, with spikes to 2.5 billion in November and February. Readings near 100 million are rare.

XRP/USDT Chart by TradingViewOne weak day does not establish a trend. Payment volume jumps around a lot, and quiet weekends often deliver low numbers. Both drops landed on a Friday and Saturday. Still, the timing matters because price is also under pressure.

Rally has no fuel leftXRP trades near $1.30 after falling from a September high around $1.66. It has now slipped beneath the 50, 100, and 200-day moving averages, which sit between $1.34 and $1.38. Those lines now act as resistance. The RSI is near 40, which indicates weak momentum but not an oversold market. Trading volume has also dwindled since the August spike.

You Might Also Like

The nearest support is the $1.25 to $1.27 area, where buyers stepped in during mid-September and again this week. A close beneath that zone would put $1.15 in view, and the $1.00 base from August after that. For bulls, the first target is a move back above $1.34 to $1.38. Without that, rallies are likely to fail.

The price drop and the weak chart point the same way. Fewer coins are moving, and fewer buyers are pushing the price up. If ledger activity returns to the 500 million level within the next few days, the drop was noise. If it remains low while XRP holds below the moving averages, the risk of a break beneath $1.25 grows.

XRPL schválil opravu PaymentBurn, lendingový protokol čeká
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 92
Original source text
The XRP Ledger (XRPL) is set to implement a new network amendment, fixCleanup3_4_0, following backing from 30 out of 36 trusted validators. The upgrade, projected to activate at approximately 09:34 UTC on October 23, surpasses the required threshold of 29 validator votes.

Technical update targets token permissions and infrastructure bugsThe fixCleanup3_4_0 amendment prioritizes technical improvements rather than introducing large new features. Its main focus is on resolving issues affecting token permissions, automated market makers, escrow mechanisms, and the infrastructure supporting future lending systems. Unlike XRPL’s recent batch upgrades, this change aims to correct flaws and safeguard the proper functioning of existing and pending features.

One of the key issues addressed involves the PaymentBurn permission that was recently rolled out as part of XRPL’s permission delegation model. Specifically, an unintended flaw allowed accounts with PaymentBurn privileges to create new trust-line or multi-purpose tokens under certain conditions. The XRPL team has cautioned against delegating PaymentBurn permission until the new amendment takes effect, as the upgrade will close this loophole by preventing certain payments from crossing a zero balance when that permission is exercised.

Official XRPL documentation advises, “Until the fixCleanup3_4_0 amendment is enabled, you should avoid delegating the PaymentBurn permission to any account.”

Alongside this revision, the update corrects issues relating to automated market maker clawbacks, token authorization processes, management of escrow reserves, handling of transaction signatures, and calculation methods involving Single Asset Vaults.

Some of these fixes address features not yet available on the public network, underscoring XRPL’s practice of releasing code ahead of actual network approval. Activation of such features still depends on further validator support.

Mini dictionary: Trusted validators, a select group of independent network participants responsible for voting on software upgrades and amendments to the XRP Ledger protocol. Their approval is essential for enabling or activating new features.

Lending protocol amendments fail to reach consensusIn contrast to the progress of the fixCleanup3_4_0 amendment, XRPL’s proposed native lending protocol is yet to gather enough validator support for activation. As of October 18, only 19 validators backed both the LendingProtocol and LendingProtocolV1_1 amendments, and SingleAssetVault received support from 21 validators—well short of the required 29 approvals.

If implemented, the lending framework would introduce fixed-term loans supported by pooled assets, with credit checks and risk assessments handled outside the blockchain infrastructure. Single Asset Vaults are designed to help users pool their funds, whereas LendingProtocol provides the core tools for creating and managing loans. The V1_1 version would add new vault types and changes in the way interest is accounted for.

Recently published validator analyses, including one from Coinpaper, indicate that the proposed lending amendments have consistently trailed the approval threshold, delaying any potential launch date for these features.

AmendmentValidators in FavorRequired VotesfixCleanup3_4_03029LendingProtocol1929LendingProtocolV1_11929SingleAssetVault2129This outcome highlights the XRPL amendment process, where technical readiness and actual network activation are distinct steps. Developers can include new functionality in the public codebase, but operational status depends on achieving broad validator consensus over a two-week period. If support falls to 80% or below, the activation timer resets.

Developers may integrate new features in code releases, but trusted validators must approve amendments before activation on the XRPL mainnet.

Growing toolkit for developers despite slow lending progressWhile the proposed lending system faces delays, recent XRPL reforms—including expanded account permissions and transaction batching—have continued to broaden the capabilities available to developers and fintech applications on the ledger. These changes are part of XRPL’s ongoing effort to support more sophisticated financial use cases beyond simple payments.

XRP holders should exercise maximum caution: the integration of the XRP Ledger into the banking sector, the launch of the RLUSD stablecoin, and Evernorth treasury transfers have had an unexpected side effect. While Ripple cements its institutional recognition, scammers have begun mass-stealing the names of well-known financial institutions, turning real corporate news into a tool for stealing assets.

This week, an XRPL Foundation contributor under the handle '@Vet_X0' warned investors about a new scheme. Scammers generate "beautiful" wallet addresses (vanity addresses) and issue dummy tokens that imitate brands from recent announcements.

This signals a change in tactics: the focus has shifted from hunting for bugs in code to social engineering. Previous technical incidents, from the summer Rippling-drainer botnet and fake NFTs to the September hack of the Bitget exchange (103 million XRP) and the compromise of XRPH Wallet ($452,000), have given way to pure psychology.

How good news became a problemThe main trigger for the deception was the legitimate news backdrop: Cross River Bank's tests of the RLUSD stablecoin and the deployment of the 473 million XRP Evernorth fund through major exchanges. As soon as a brand announces its entry into the XRPL, the scammers' software creates a similar wallet address within seconds (for example, rBankxxx) and issues a fake token such as $BANKxxx.

Then, through phishing sites, users are prompted to "verify" their wallets or exchange real XRP for new "bank" coins. To an inattentive investor, an entry in a blockchain explorer looks like a guarantee of authenticity.

This is the paradox: the openness of the blockchain has started working against security. A token's appearance on XRP Scan proves only its technical existence. Anyone can issue a coin with any name on the XRPL.

Institutional players operate at the level of internal gateways. Large banks do not require retail holders to sign transactions or redeem their assets. "Just sit on your hands and do nothing," concludes Vet_X0. The only confirmation that a real bank stands behind a project remains a publication on the corporation's own official press site. Any other offer is a guaranteed loss of capital.

Neověřená zpráva o možném nákupu XRP společností Evernorth zvyšuje spekulace
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 85

Speculation in a risk-off environment can cut both ways.

At the moment, Ripple is the focal point of wild speculation. A post on X suggested that Evernorth, an XRP treasury company, may purchase $655 million worth of XRP next week. The social media post went viral, sparking market activity.

Bulls welcomed the news as a possible catalyst for an XRP rally in November, while skeptics argued that it was simply unsubstantiated rumor that could mislead the market.

As the below post shows, many users questioned the post, arguing that it was just a means to increase engagement. Either way, this rumor may affect XRP’s market performance.

With Evernorth already in the spotlight over its recent XRPN listing, any news tied to the firm could trigger fresh speculation around XRP.

Source: X
Notably, the timing of this speculation could hardly be worse.

Technically, XRP is among the worst-performing assets this month. It is down 13%, erasing all gains made in September. The altcoin has slid to $1.25, its September low, testing this level as a critical support zone.

A break below it is likely to spark another wave of selling, especially as market demand continues to weaken.

Reinforcing this trend, spot XRP ETFs had their first negative week since July, reports SoSoValue. According to the data, spot XRP ETFs had a net outflow of $1.84 million last week, with only one day of inflows.

This marked the end of a 13-week consecutive weekly inflow streak, suggesting that institutional investors’ appetite for the asset may be cooling off.

So, given the recent weakness in the structural setup of Ripple’s [XRP] market structure and the amount of sell pressure on the on-chain data of major CEXs, could the new hype around Evernorth end up being a bull trap?

XRP bull rally hopes rise on Evernorth rumors
Nothing conveys the market’s reaction to the hype better than XRP’s long/short ratio.

According to data from CoinGlass, XRP’s long/short ratio has increased to 1.06, hitting its highest level in more than two weeks. This suggests traders are leaning bullish, betting on a possible bull run initiated by Evernorth’s alleged purchase of $655 million in XRP.

However, with XRP’s on-chain metrics flashing bearish signals, the overall market environment still risk-off, and the institutional buying showing signs of waning, this bullish positioning appears to be highly speculative.

Thus, if the rumored purchase fails to materialize or insufficient buying pressure from institutions continues, it can trigger a bull trap at XRP’s $1.25 level, leaving late longs highly vulnerable.

Source: TradingView (XRPN.USD)
Moreover, Evernorth’s own technical setup is not looking entirely bullish either.

According to the chart above, XRPN had a sharp post-launch rally, rising from $15 to $53. However, at press time, the token was trading 5% lower than its opening price, showing a very speculative market driven by the hype of the launch.

While it does not rule out Evernorth’s ability to accumulate XRP, it does pose questions about whether the hype around the firm would be able to drive buying pressure for XRP.

Taken together, these signals paint a mixed picture for XRP. While Evernorth rumors are fueling bullish bets, declining ETF net inflows, aggressive selling pressures, and the inability to hold $1.25 suggest the broader setup remains bearish.

Unless the hype translates into confirmed accumulation, XRP could fall into a bull trap, putting the next key support at $1.20 in focus.

Final Summary

Evernorth’s rumored $655 million XRP purchase has boosted market hype, but weak ETF flows and heavy selling pressure raise bull trap risks.

XRP is struggling to hold $1.25. If it breaks below this level, the price could fall toward $1.20.

XRP whales moved a total of approximately 1.669 billion tokens to Binance over the past 30 days, marking the largest influx from large holders in the past seven months as XRP traded near $1.30.

Record Whale Inflows Drive Binance ActivityCryptoQuant analyst Arab Chain reported that the cumulative inflow of XRP to Binance wallets over 30 days climbed past the previous high recorded in September, which totaled around 1.65 billion XRP. This surge suggests renewed activity among significant market participants.

The transferred tokens, priced at roughly $1.33 per XRP, amounted to about $2.22 billion. This figure represents deposits over a 30-day span rather than direct evidence of completed sales.

CryptoQuant’s whale inflow metric aggregates the volume of XRP sent from large wallets to Binance over a rolling 30-day period. After peaking in September and declining, this metric rebounded in mid-October, adding about 19 million more XRP compared to the previous peak.

A shift in whale behavior has accompanied these inflows. Earlier in October, the percentage of large holders in total exchange withdrawals dropped by 27% in eight days after previously reaching 82% of outgoing transfers.

It is important to note that inflow and withdrawal metrics track different activities. While withdrawals from exchanges often reflect buying or custody decisions, inflows boost the amount of XRP that could be sold or traded quickly on Binance.

Renewed inflows do not necessarily signal immediate selling, but they increase the available supply that could be traded if whales choose to liquidate their assets.

$2.2 Billion Moves: What It Means for Market PressureLarge holders typically use centralized exchanges like Binance to facilitate trading, rebalance portfolios, or manage collateral across crypto and traditional markets.

An increase in whale deposits may heighten the risk of selling pressure, particularly when liquidity is thin. However, on-chain transfers do not prove that all deposited XRP has been sold.

These developments coincide with a broader rise in tracked XRP reserves on exchanges.

From October 12 to 15, exchange wallets accumulated an additional 83.94 million XRP, bringing their total to about 22.06 billion tokens. Binance alone saw reserves grow by approximately 54.61 million XRP during the week ending October 15.

CryptoQuant’s whale inflow data and exchange reserve changes measure distinct but related activities. Deposits add to exchange balances, while net reserve changes reflect both deposits and withdrawals over defined periods.

As a result, not all of the cumulative 1.669 billion XRP in whale deposits necessarily remained on Binance after accounting for withdrawals.

MetricAmountPeriodExchangeCumulative Whale Deposits1.669 billion XRP30 daysBinanceExchange Reserve Increase83.94 million XRPOct 12-15All exchangesBinance Reserve Growth54.61 million XRP7 days to Oct 15BinanceXRP Price Outlook Remains Cautious Amid Whale ActivityThe influx of large whale transfers appeared as XRP traded near $1.31, raising questions about whether a larger exchange supply could challenge market stability.

Meanwhile, demand from institutional investors has grown less predictable. Recent outflows from XRP ETF products occurred alongside withdrawals from prominent Ethereum and Solana investment funds, though the reported totals for XRP varied among data providers.

Previously, XRP-backed investment vehicles had attracted steady inflows for 13 consecutive weeks, underscoring that institutional interest does not always move in tandem with price trends.

If future whale deposits result in continuous selling, XRP may experience further downward price momentum. Alternatively, declining inflows paired with resilient buying interest could ease negative sentiment.

Recent data confirm an uptick in whale activity, but not a coordinated mass selloff. Short-term market direction will depend on actual exchange flows, trading volume, and broader price movements in $XRP.

The collaboration combines traditional payment technology with RLUSD on the XRPL, giving issuers and acquirers greater flexibility to settle intraday and reduce settlement latency.

Ripple also announced its partnership with DriveWealth across RLUSD settlement on the XRP Ledger, cross-border payments, custody, and prime brokerage to modernize how money moves across global markets.

DriveWealth will integrate Ripple's stablecoin infrastructure to support settlement in Europe, with plans to expand to the U.S. The integration will leverage RLUSD on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), alongside Ripple's mint and burn capabilities.

Standard Chartered Bank also announced this week the launch of institutional custody services for Ripple's stablecoin, RLUSD, through its Dubai International Financial Centre branch.

According to Token Terminal, Ripple led stablecoin issuer growth over the last 24 hours with over $27.4 million added.

RLUSD má podpořit XRP v DeFi a tokenizaci
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 72
Original source text
Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin continues to attract significant attention from both XRP supporters and institutional analysts, with fresh analysis highlighting its importance within the Ripple ecosystem. The crypto researcher SMQKE presented findings on how RLUSD strategically complements XRP, particularly in the areas of decentralized finance and broader institutional engagement.

RLUSD and its strategic roleThe analysis positions RLUSD as an asset intended to work alongside, rather than against, XRP. By leveraging RLUSD, Ripple aims to strengthen market presence in low-liquidity environments. The new stablecoin is designed to operate in a way that supports XRP’s key functions, furthering its adoption across DeFi and among institutional investors.

Management of RLUSD reserves was assigned to Standard Custody, which became part of Ripple through an acquisition in 2024. This move seeks to assure both transparency and stability for those using the stablecoin.

RLUSD is structured to complement XRP and expand its adoption, not to compete with it.

Progress in real-world asset tokenizationRipple’s efforts have also extended into real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, an area gaining traction among leading financial institutions. Through a partnership with Archax, Ripple has advanced the integration of hundreds of millions of dollars worth of tokenized assets onto the XRP Ledger, positioning itself among established players like BlackRock, JPMorgan, and Goldman Sachs, who have also moved toward blockchain adoption.

Tokenized assets require robust infrastructure in terms of both liquidity and stability. Within this structure, RLUSD is tasked with fulfilling the demand for stability, while XRP focuses on transaction settlement and liquidity management. These two assets are designed to perform separate roles but jointly enhance the overall efficiency of Ripple’s solutions.

In a market where a single Fed decision or a sudden altcoin listing can change everything in seconds, switching between multiple apps for trading tools and news can become costly for investors. As a result, more traders are turning to privacy-first platforms like CryptoAppsy, which consolidate real-time charts, news, portfolio tracking, and macro data into one interface, with no account required.

The impact of XRP ETFsMonica Long, referenced in the analysis, expressed confidence in the prospects for an XRP exchange-traded fund, citing regulatory clarity from the United States as a driving force. XRP and Bitcoin are the only digital assets with this level of explicit regulatory recognition in the country, which Long argued would create favourable conditions for an XRP ETF filing.

This view was validated when the first spot XRP ETFs received approval in late 2025. The launch of these products gave traditional investors a new gateway to gain exposure to XRP and removed several longstanding access barriers for large institutional participants.

Community members have discussed the integration of RLUSD within current payment channels. One observer emphasized that placing RLUSD alongside conventional systems such as ACH and wire transfers through shared APIs could expand the ledger’s utility while retaining XRP’s central role as a bridge asset.

Others focused on RLUSD’s US dollar peg, expressing concerns about maintaining stability should the dollar weaken. Some analysts argued that the ongoing development of network effects and broader blockchain adoption remains an area many market participants have yet to fully recognize.

By addressing stability and leveraging liquidity, RLUSD and XRP are positioned to strengthen Ripple’s footprint in tokenized finance and institutional adoption.

Ripple a DriveWealth zavedou vypořádání v RLUSD v Evropě
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 92
Original source text
Ripple has entered a strategic partnership with DriveWealth, a global provider of Brokerage-as-a-Service technology, to bring RLUSD stablecoin settlement and payments infrastructure to an international network of financial partners. DriveWealth serves as a technology backbone for more than 100 fintech platforms and financial institutions, offering white-label brokerage services to enable investment access without requiring firms to develop their own infrastructure.

RLUSD stablecoin integration with brokerage operationsThe collaboration will introduce RLUSD stablecoin-based settlement on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), starting in Europe with plans for future expansion into the US market. According to Ripple, the integration targets institutional finance and aims to simplify how fintechs, digital wallets and financial institutions manage payment and collateral flows.

With this partnership, DriveWealth clients may gain the capability to fund and manage collateral accounts using RLUSD stablecoins, which can be rapidly converted to cash. The infrastructure leverages the digital asset minting and redemption features of Ripple’s ecosystem, potentially streamlining operations and improving liquidity management for participating partners.

Standard Chartered, a multinational bank, recently launched custody services for RLUSD, further highlighting growing institutional use of Ripple’s stablecoin technology.

Despite the media attention, DriveWealth and Ripple have not revealed the list of partners that will immediately use the RLUSD settlement option. There were no transaction volume figures or a defined launch date announced.

Mini dictionary: DriveWealth is a US-based fintech firm specializing in API-driven brokerage infrastructure, enabling its clients to offer global investment access without building regulatory and technical systems from scratch.

DriveWealth will enable stablecoin-based funding and settlement solutions on a network of over 100 brokerage partners worldwide, building a link between the blockchain and traditional equities infrastructure.

Potential impact on stock settlement efficiencyOne of the core challenges for global brokerage operations relates to slow processing times for cross-border funding. While US equities now settle under a T+1 cycle, requiring trades to clear one business day after execution, international bank transfers may still lag due to time zone differences and the legacy payment system.

DriveWealth already offers its platform partners access to extended trading hours; however, the movement of cash across borders remains a constraint. RLUSD stablecoin transactions could allow for real-time fund transfers, unrestricted by conventional banking hours.

This structure reflects broader trends in institutional finance, where digital assets are increasingly used to facilitate rapid collateral movement and transaction settlement. Nonetheless, instant funding via RLUSD does not replace the regulatory clearing and settlement required for US stock transactions, but rather focuses on cash management before and after trades.

While rapid stablecoin funding increases efficiency, the regulated clearing process for US equities will continue to operate separately from blockchain-based collateral flows.

Expanding Ripple Prime’s digital asset servicesBeyond payments and collateral, the Ripple and DriveWealth partnership extends into digital asset custody and equity financing services. Ripple Prime—the institutional division of Ripple—aims to enhance market access for large clients by providing secure storage for digital assets and potential financing via equity-linked products.

This development follows DriveWealth’s acquisition of brokerage and market infrastructure player Hidden Road for $1.25 billion, which expanded its capabilities in equity and derivative product offerings.

Ripple is also working to expand its XRPL wallet functionality, which helps integrate digital asset payments into broader financial applications. For $XRP holders, the direct impact of this deal on token demand remains uncertain, as transaction fees and account reserves on XRPL will continue to require XRP, but major inflows or volumes have not been disclosed.

Further details regarding the rollout, partner adoption, and customer usage may be revealed at Ripple Swell, an industry event scheduled in New York on October 28.

Ripple vložil XRP do Evernorthu, aby podpořil likviditu ekosystému
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 88
Original source text
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has explained why the company contributed a significant amount of XRP to Evernorth, the XRP treasury company that recently debuted on Nasdaq. Speaking at Nasdaq on the company’s listing day, he said the move fits Ripple’s long-standing approach of investing in its own ecosystem, and that his trust in Evernorth’s leadership sealed the decision.

Why Ripple backed Evernorth

Asked why Ripple put its tokens into Evernorth, Garlinghouse said supporting the community has been part of Ripple’s strategy “since really its inception.” That support has sometimes reached beyond XRP, he added, because Ripple believes in “a multi-chain world.”

The deciding factor was Evernorth CEO Asheesh Birla, who previously worked under Garlinghouse at Ripple and later sat on its board. “When Asheesh raised his hand and expressed interest, that to me cemented our interests,” Garlinghouse said.

He described Birla as “an extraordinary leader” who has shown “unique acumen around talent, around strategy,” both at Ripple and now at Evernorth.

How it helps XRP

Garlinghouse said Evernorth’s listing strengthens the XRP ecosystem in three ways:

Liquidity and trust: The listing “furthers liquidity” and “trust in the XRP ecosystem,” he said.New investors: A listed company opens XRP to people who cannot easily access crypto markets directly. “Just that is a major step,” he said.More than buy-and-hold: Evernorth plans to use on-chain and off-chain strategies to earn yield and build institutional products, which he said “positions XRP to perform really well.”He also explained how hard it has been to reach this point. “There were a couple hundred various DATs trying to get public,” he said, referring to digital asset treasury companies. “The fact that we are here today with XRP trading is a big deal.”

“Ripple was on to something”

Garlinghouse reflected on Ripple’s years as an outsider in crypto. Many early crypto users held a strongly anti-establishment view, and Ripple drew criticism for building for banks and traditional finance.

“For a bunch of years, Ripple was a controversial contrarian because we were leaning into TradFi as our core customer set,” he said. Now the market has come around, and “a lot of other players in the industry recognise that hey, maybe Ripple was on to something there.”

The hard years are not over

Garlinghouse stopped short of declaring victory. “I’m not ready to say the hard years are behind us,” he said.

Still, he believes markets are underestimating the shift in the US. The United States accounts for about 22% of global GDP and spent years “leaning out” on crypto, he said. Now its institutions are “leaning in like they never have before.”

XRP ETF společnosti Bitwise spravuje aktiva v hodnotě 561 milionů USD
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 91
Original source text
Bitwise's spot XRP ETF has reached $561M in assets under management, leading all issuers and holding over a third of total XRP ETF assets.

Bitwise now holds more than half a billion dollars in $XRP through its spot exchange-traded fund. The Bitwise XRP ETF has assets under management of $561 million, outpacing every other issuer by more than $150 million and accounting for more than one third of all XRP ETF holdings.

Spot @Ripple-linked ETFs have had a busy 2026, but @Bitwise's product sits at the top of the issuer rankings.

How the Bitwise XRP ETF comparesThe fund began trading on Nov. 19, 2025. TradingView fund data lists the product as passively managed and tracking the CME CF XRP-Dollar Reference Rate. Its filings state that the trust's sole asset is XRP and that shares are listed on NYSE Arca under the ticker XRP, according to the fund's Form 10-Q filed with the SEC.

Bitwise's lead is also visible in issuer breakdowns. One tracker lists the fund at $517.4 million, or 33.8% of the sector, ahead of Canary at $457.8 million and Franklin Templeton at $425.7 million, per CryptoETF.today. Exact AUM figures differ by data provider and date, as fund values move with the XRP price.

Flows remain concentrated in one issuerRecent flow data points the same way. Bitwise's fund took in $10.55 million of the $11.31 million that entered U.S. spot XRP ETFs in the week of Oct. 5 to 9, and it leads on lifetime net inflows with $688 million, according to Bitcoin.com News, citing SoSoValue data.

The wider picture is more mixed. XRP ETFs have recorded 13 straight weeks of net inflows, yet Altcoin Buzz reports that total net assets fell to $1.57 billion from $1.66 billion over the same week, as the XRP price weighed on the value of fund holdings. Because the issuer set is small, daily flows can swing sharply on the activity of a single fund.

For $XRP investors, the milestone shows where institutional demand for regulated exposure is concentrating. Whether Bitwise can hold its lead will depend on continued inflows and on the direction of the XRP price.

XRP Ledger opravil chybu umožňující vytváření XRP
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 96
Original source text
XRP Ledger developers implemented an emergency security fix after discovering a vulnerability that could have enabled attackers to generate spendable XRP beyond the predetermined supply limit. This decision bypassed the protocol’s standard two-week validator approval process, a move that has stirred debate within the XRP community about the balance between security and decentralization.

Security Patch Addresses 11-Year-Old VulnerabilityOn September 25, the development team released a critical update after identifying an integer overflow flaw in the XRPL payment engine. This vulnerability, which has existed since 2015, could have allowed specially crafted transactions to create surplus XRP tokens unrelated to the amount actually paid by a sender.

Investigators reported no evidence that the vulnerability had been exploited on the public network. However, developers emphasized that the potential risk to the XRP supply warranted immediate action.

Developers explained that the threat could not wait for the traditional validator voting period, noting that “publishing the patch and leaving the flaw exposed would have given attackers enough information to reproduce and exploit it.”

Instead of following the typical governance process, the fix was applied instantly on each server upon upgrading to xrpld 3.4.1. This approach differed from the usual amendment procedure, where at least 80% of trusted validators must support changes over two consecutive weeks.

Mini dictionary: Integer overflow, a software bug that occurs when a calculation produces a number larger than the maximum value a variable can store, causing unpredictable behavior or exploits in computer systems.

Deviation from Normal Governance Raises ConcernsUnder normal XRPL procedures, protocol changes affecting transaction processing go through extensive validator review to ensure the stability and consensus of the network. By skipping this step, the emergency patch introduced a brief period of uneven transaction validation between servers running different software versions.

During this interval, upgraded servers would have rejected malicious transactions, while any servers still running older software could have accepted them, potentially disrupting ledger validation. However, no incidents were detected during this window.

In contrast, a recent Batch security fix from the same development group adhered to the standard amendment process, activating on October 9 through a typical network-wide consensus.

Type of FixDeploymentActivation DateEmergency security patchInstant (server upgrade)September 25Batch fixValidator vote (amendment)October 9Debate Over Developer Authority and DecentralizationThe rapid deployment triggered discussion about the role of developers and validators in urgent network situations. Some have raised concerns about distributing patched software in advance of public disclosure, which could be perceived as granting developers excessive influence over the protocol.

Supporters argued that immediate coordination was necessary to prevent potential exploitation. The XRPL Foundation, a non-profit entity supporting network development and maintenance, rejected suggestions that validator operators were compelled to update, emphasizing the independence of each operator’s decision.

The XRPL Foundation asserted, “Validator operators were not forced to install the patch. Each made decisions independently, and no evidence emerged of forced compliance.”

Meanwhile, planned lending functionality updates for XRPL continue to follow the regular governance process, underscoring that routine improvements still depend on validator consensus.

Developers have insisted that bypassing the traditional amendment process should remain an exception, reserved only for severe security issues, and not evolve into standard practice for protocol changes.

The episode has reassured XRP holders that the immediate risk has been resolved, as the vulnerability was patched and no exploitation has been detected. However, it has also prompted a wider conversation about how the network can remain both secure and decentralized in the face of unforeseen threats.

Upbit Korea, the largest crypto exchange in South Korea by trading volume and users, announced its latest delistings. The delistings will take place in November, allowing traders time to act accordingly before the deadline.

Upbit will suspend trading support for Zilliqa (ZIL), including ZIL/KRW and ZIL/BTC pairs. Trading support will be terminated on Monday, November 16, 2026, at 15:00 KST. This follows a recent security incident with the Zilliqa Ledger app in July of this year.

On July 22, 2026, Upbit added Zilliqa (ZIL) to the trading caution list. Afterward, Upbit conducted another detailed review of virtual assets and determined that the reasons for designating Zilliqa as a trading caution item have not been resolved. Upbit therefore decided to end trading support in accordance with its policy on the designation of virtual assets as caution items and the end of trading support.

Sophon (SOPH) was also announced to be delisted, with trading support to be terminated on Monday, November 16, 2026, at 15:00 KST. The affected trading pairs are SOPH/KRW, SOPH/BTC, and SOPH/USDT.

In related news, Hive Dollar (HBD/BTC) and District0x (DNT/BTC) have been designated as trading caution items on Upbit, and accordingly, deposit services will be temporarily suspended. The tokens have been flagged with an investment warning, with deposit services temporarily halted and delisting possible pending further review.

The trading caution item designation period for MANTRA (MANTRA/KRW, MANTRA/BTC, MANTRA/USDT) has been extended until the second week of November 2026, from November 9 to November 13.

XRP/KRW is the most traded pair on UpbitMeanwhile, XRP continues to dominate trading volumes on Upbit, surpassing major cryptocurrencies Bitcoin and Ethereum.

According to CoinMarketCap data, XRP's Korean won pair was the most traded market on Upbit over the past 24 hours, with about $87.12 million in volume, ahead of Bitcoin's $74.69 million and Ethereum's $56.33 million.

Korea has long been one of XRP's most active speculative markets, with the cryptocurrency's dominance in trading volumes coming as little of a surprise. However, XRP remains slightly muted, up just 2.76% in the last 24 hours to $1.33, following this week's choppy price action.

XRP is compressing between its 50-day and 200-day moving averages, with the market paying close attention, as is usually the case when it starts leading volume on Korean exchanges.

XRP Ledger brzdí likvidita a napojení na finanční systémy
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 87

David Schwartz, one of the original architects of the XRP Ledger, says the network’s long-term health depends on bringing in more independent players, so that it does not end up serving Ripple alone.

Speaking in an interview marking Evernorth’s Nasdaq debut, Ripple’s CTO Emeritus said new participants such as the XRP treasury company help guard against a risk that even well-meaning builders face. Schwartz is a strategic adviser to Evernorth and sits on its board.

What to know:

Schwartz says more voices are needed in XRP Ledger governance so the network is not seen as “a tool to serve Ripple’s interests only.”He sees no significant technical gaps holding back banks or asset managers. The real obstacles are liquidity, on- and off-ramps, and connecting the ledger to existing financial systems.A governance warning from the ledger’s co-creator

Schwartz said most of the XRP Ledger’s technical problems are solved. The harder question now is whose needs the ledger should serve.

“You can build a blockchain that does one thing, or you can build a blockchain that does something else,” he said. Figuring out which problems to aim it at is the challenge.

That is where a single dominant player can go wrong. “Even if you have the best intent, it’s very easy to convince yourself that what’s good for you is what’s good for everyone,” he said.

Schwartz said Evernorth’s plan to run validators and take part in the ledger’s development adds needed diversity. That matters, he said, for people’s ability to adopt the XRP Ledger “and be confident that it’s not going to become a tool to serve, like, Ripple’s interests only.”

“Going to the moon is a solved problem”

Schwartz used a space analogy to describe where the XRP Ledger stands. Humans reached the moon more than 50 years ago, he noted, so the technology is proven. But actually going there today would still be hard.

“Being fantastic technically is not sufficient to be useful in the real world,” he said.

He pointed to liquidity provision and on- and off-ramps as the areas that will do the most for the ledger, and also the ones that carry the most risk. Regulation was once a major barrier, but he said those “headwinds have turned into tailwinds.”

Lending is live, but DeFi is not yet connected

Native lending is already live on the XRP Ledger, Schwartz said. What is missing is integration with the wider DeFi ecosystem.

Most activity today centres on tokenizing real-world assets, which he called “a necessary piece of plumbing.” The next step is letting people move money in and out of those assets, borrow and manage their holdings. “People need to be able to borrow money. They need to have sensible investments,” he said.

He added that holding XRP on a corporate balance sheet is “very challenging” without a listed vehicle like Evernorth.

Japan's largest megabanks (MUFG, Mizuho, and SMBC), together with Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and TISI Inc., have officially reported the successful completion of the first joint trials of a yen stablecoin.

As part of a closed pilot project supervised by the state Financial Services Agency (FSA), the partners tested cross-border settlements for the trading giant Mitsubishi Corporation. The stablecoins, issued with the status of "trust beneficiary rights," went through the full cycle from issuance to final redemption into fiat without failures.

The commercial launch of the system is planned before the end of the current fiscal year.

What does XRP have to do with it? (Actually, quite a lot)Officially, Ripple is not mentioned in the consortium's documents. However, in the context of the Japanese market, this test is inevitably viewed through the prism of the XRP Ledger (XRPL) ecosystem, since all of the "big three" megabanks have a deep history of integration with Ripple's technologies. Any banking blockchain initiatives in the country largely rely on the foundation laid by this network over many years.

Implementation architecture of Japan's multi-bank joint yen stablecoin pilot. Source: Mitsubishi UFJ Trust / PR TIMESBack in 2017, MUFG, Mizuho, and SMBC joined a large-scale banking consortium under the auspices of SBI Ripple Asia, created to implement RippleNet technologies for instant domestic and cross-border settlements. This institutional link continues at the present stage.

Not long ago, as part of Japan's financial infrastructure innovation program, Mizuho Bank and SMBC's investment arm concluded direct agreements with Ripple Labs to deploy real-world asset (RWA) tokenization infrastructure and institutional DeFi solutions specifically on the XRP Ledger.

The launch of their own digital yen on the Progmat platform (created by MUFG on the Avalanche blockchain) looks like an attempt by the megabanks to build an isolated alternative to external liquidity bridges such as XRP, in order to fully control compliance and fees within the traditional banking vertical.

The resulting configuration points to a possible division of the market in the future. On the one hand, the closed infrastructure of the megabanks and the Progmat platform will likely try to take over the conservative sector of intra-corporate B2B transfers.

On the other hand, the parallel launch of Ripple's regulated dollar stablecoin RLUSD by SBI Holdings and the well-developed liquidity of XRP may preserve dominance in cross-border retail and open fintech services.

The mutual integration of banking platforms with the Web3 industry, including their participation in XRP Tokyo summits, does not rule out a scenario in which the commercial launch of the digital yen will not displace XRPL, but may instead lead to the formation of a segmented landscape where corporate fiat and open digital assets coexist at the level of liquidity gateways.

XRP’s supply reduction mechanism has attracted renewed attention amid a surge in decentralized finance expansion and increased transactional activity on its blockchain. The network’s move to support more DeFi services, including lending, multi-currency liquidity solutions, and direct cross-border settlements through banking partnerships, could significantly expand XRP’s market presence.

Supply reduction draws analyst focusSome analysts have highlighted the XRP burning mechanism as an underappreciated element in the asset’s long-term outlook. With transaction volumes on the XRP Ledger reaching record levels, more tokens are being permanently removed from the circulating supply every day. Dr. Kamilah Stevenson, an industry researcher, noted that as supply diminishes daily, the network experiences what she described as a “dual force” driving potential price appreciation for XRP.

Technical analysts such as ChartNerd and Egrag Crypto have projected ambitious scenarios in which XRP could reach $10, referencing historical price patterns and trading indicators. Although Dr. Stevenson did not specify price targets, she indicated that the implications of the burn mechanism are significant for anyone tracking the altcoin’s development.

“Here’s what most people miss: every single transaction on the XRP ledger burns XRP. Not sent somewhere. Not stored. Gone. Permanently.”

Dr. Stevenson argued that increasing institutional adoption combined with the supply burn creates what she described as an ideal setting for long-term bullish momentum on XRP, contingent on strong user engagement across the network.

Burn statistics and network metricsAccording to recent data compiled by CryptoTuts, the aggregate amount of XRP burned rose from 14.38 million on September 15 to 14.41 million by October 15, translating to 24,745 XRP eliminated within a 30-day span. On average, this equates to about 825 XRP destroyed daily. Over a seven-day period, the burn tally reached 2,696 XRP.

DateTotal XRP Burned (Millions)Summary (XRP Burned)Sept. 1514.38–Oct. 1514.41+24,745While the daily figures represent a small portion of the nearly 100 billion XRP total supply, proponents claim that sustained high network use could eventually accelerate supply contraction.

If the current pace were to be maintained for an entire year, approximately 301,000 XRP would be removed from circulation—amounting to just 0.0003% of the total supply. Documentation for the XRP Ledger explains that burning happens through transaction fees designed to prevent spam and defend against denial-of-service attacks.

The minimum transaction fee, referred to as “drops,” equals 0.00001 XRP per transaction. With 100,000 transactions at this minimum, one XRP is destroyed. A billion minimum-fee transactions would burn 10,000 XRP. This drop-based fee system may pressure prices higher during periods of elevated network activity.

Ripple, the fintech company behind the XRP Ledger, releases a substantial volume of XRP tokens from escrow into circulation every month as part of its operating protocol. A regular monthly release of 1 billion tokens has the potential to add significant market supply if not matched by increased demand.

In theory, deflationary token models—when balanced by healthy demand—have the potential to raise the asset’s price. The scale of this effect depends on network utility, transaction levels, and broader market sentiment.

Mini dictionary: XRP burning mechanism: On the XRP Ledger, every transaction requires a small fee paid in XRP, known as a “drop.” This fee is not paid to any entity but is permanently destroyed, meaning the total supply of XRP decreases by the amount of transaction fees consumed, providing a deflationary pressure on supply.

Ripple’s monthly escrow releases and ongoing burn rates remain key variables as institutional interest and DeFi activity continue to shape the outlook for the cryptocurrency.

XRP’s maximum supply is set at 100 billion tokens, making it one of the most abundantly minted major cryptocurrencies. However, a recent claim from game designer and crypto commentator Chad Steingraber suggesting almost all XRP could disappear from public markets has reignited debate within its community.

Steingraber’s Scarcity ArgumentSteingraber argued that XRP could experience a dramatic price surge if the available tradable supply shrinks to only 21 million tokens. He believes this reduction would result from XRP being pulled out of public markets, leaving a fraction available for trading and causing upward price pressure.

The reason XRP will be a high price is for one simple reason: it will be removed from public access, with only a small amount tradable, like 21 million XRP available.

This viewpoint quickly captured attention among XRP supporters, as it implies an extreme level of scarcity reminiscent of Bitcoin, which also has a 21 million maximum supply.

Exchange Supply Continues to DiminishPrevious data shared by Steingraber indicated that there were 15.7 billion XRP left across 41 exchanges. This number reportedly declined by 3.4 billion XRP, or about 17.77%, since February 2025. The shrinking availability supported his argument that a supply crunch might be emerging. However, community members noted a key distinction: reported exchange balances comprise both user holdings and assets controlled by the exchanges themselves. As a result, the actual liquid trading supply could be significantly smaller than the exchange total figures suggest.

MetricAmount (Feb 2025)Amount (Now)% ChangeXRP on exchanges19.1 billion15.7 billion-17.77%This ambiguity leaves doubts regarding the true scope of available XRP for active trading, with some believing the liquid float may be even lower than the numbers suggest.

Institutional Accumulation and ETF DemandGrowing institutional interest in XRP is also limiting available supply. Spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have locked up billions of tokens in ETF custody, preventing those assets from participating in routine trading. The role of ETFs as long-term holdings means this supply is unlikely to return to active circulation soon.

Evernorth, a dedicated investment vehicle established for institutional XRP exposure, recently raised over $1 billion to acquire XRP through public equity channels. The company confirmed holding 473 million XRP—valued at nearly $672 million—alongside $300 million in cash. This kind of accumulation signals a move toward long-term storage of significant XRP amounts by corporate entities and funds.

Mini dictionary: Evernorth is a financial company that specializes in structured products allowing institutions to gain exposure to XRP through regulated public market channels, encouraging greater mainstream adoption of the asset.

Steingraber’s claim that only 21 million XRP will eventually remain tradable met with strong criticism. One respondent emphasized that the XRP Ledger (XRPL) is a permissionless blockchain with a 100 billion token maximum supply, meaning the asset cannot simply be removed from public reach. The commenter acknowledged that while institutional accumulation can restrict liquidity, total XRP supply remains unchanged.

Another community member suggested that major macroeconomic events, such as a potential cyberattack, could influence XRP’s price before any supply-related change. A separate commenter referenced existing institutional contracts, noting that large-scale accumulation has quietly progressed for some time. Others voiced the opinion that experienced XRP investors already anticipate such supply trends.

Institutional accumulation can lower available liquidity, but it doesn’t eliminate public access to XRP. The XRPL remains an open and permissionless platform with a total cap of 100 billion tokens.

Stripe’s expanding role in both cryptocurrency infrastructure and artificial intelligence-driven shopping is drawing new connections between payments, digital assets, and automated agents.

Recent developments include a partnership involving Stripe-owned Privy and Ripple to support embedded wallets on the XRP Ledger, continued efforts to link AI shopping interfaces more tightly with payment flows, and comments from a senior Stripe executive on the potential disappearance of traditional checkout pages.

Ripple and Privy announced a collaboration to bring Privy’s wallet infrastructure to the XRP Ledger.

The integration allows developers to create and manage wallets on the network programmatically, sign transactions, and handle assets such as XRP and Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin without building the underlying wallet systems themselves.

Embedded wallets operate inside applications, so users can hold and transfer funds without installing a separate crypto wallet or managing seed phrases during everyday use.

Users retain the option to export private keys and recovery phrases for portability.

Server-side wallets are also supported, enabling AI agents to hold funds and complete payments, including through the x402 protocol designed for software-to-software transactions.

Privy, which Stripe acquired and continues to operate as a separate product, described the move as facilitating stablecoin payments, fintech applications, and agentic commerce on the ledger.

Ripple executives noted the network’s existing scale—more than 8 million funded accounts and substantial cumulative value transferred—as a foundation for these use cases.

The companies indicated further enhancements, such as policy controls and gas sponsorship, are planned.

Separately, Stripe has been extending the links between AI-powered product discovery and payment completion.

One recent example is Constructor’s launch of Agentic Checkout, which embeds Stripe payments—including its Link digital wallet—directly into onsite AI shopping agents.

Shoppers or agents can ask questions, receive recommendations, refine selections, and complete purchases within the same conversational interface on a retailer’s site or app, without a separate checkout handoff.

Stripe has also expanded Link support for personal AI agents from partners such as Meta (via its Muse assistant), allowing agents to initiate purchases using stored credentials or single-use instruments while keeping user details protected and requiring approvals.

Broader infrastructure efforts include the Agentic Commerce Protocol (developed with OpenAI) and the Agentic Commerce Suite, which help merchants expose product catalogs and accept agent-initiated payments across AI platforms.

These steps aim to reduce friction between finding a product and paying for it as agents take on more of the shopping journey.

In an appearance on the A16z Show, Stripe president of technology and business Will Gaybrick suggested that conventional checkout pages may eventually vanish as AI commerce grows.

He argued that even a relatively modest version of agentic commerce could eliminate the need for users to navigate a dedicated checkout screen, potentially allowing purchases directly from a product display.

Gaybrick noted open questions about the precise form agent-to-merchant or machine-to-machine transactions will take, while pointing to existing quick-pay tools such as Stripe Link and Shopify’s Shop Pay as early steps that already streamline the process.

He described an internal shift at Stripe toward viewing the company as a multi-product platform rather than primarily a payments provider with added features.

Stripe leadership has separately expressed optimism that a growing share of online commerce will involve agents acting on behalf of users or other systems.

The announcements illustrate Stripe’s dual focus on crypto-enabled payments infrastructure through Privy and on reducing steps between AI-assisted discovery and settlement. How quickly agentic flows become mainstream will depend on user trust, merchant adoption, and the maturation of supporting protocols and wallets.

XRP is gaining the spotlight in South Korea as the leading altcoin continues to see increased participation among traders within the country against other major crypto assets.

Amid the heightening interest in XRP, recent onchain data shows that XRP has outperformed Bitcoin and Ethereum in spot trading volume on South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange.

XRP sees strong trading activity in South KoreaThe data shows that XRP's spot trading volume against the South Korean won (KRW) reached over $145.6 million on October 15, despite the broad market slowdown seen on that day.

HOT Stories

As such, XRP outperformed both Bitcoin and Ethereum as they recorded $126.5 million and $92.1 million respectively in spot trading volume on the same day.

This shows that XRP attracted more spot trading activity than the two largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization on the exchange, signaling strong demand for XRP among Korean traders.

Further data showed that the trend continued until October 16, as even though trading volumes across all three cryptocurrencies had cooled, XRP still maintained its lead.

Will South Korea drive recovery for XRP?While XRP was able to extend its dominance for a second consecutive day, it appears that interest in the Ripple-associated altcoin remains strong in the South Korean crypto market.

Market analysts believe that the strong demand for XRP on Korea's largest crypto exchange could impact its broader market value and drive a further rally in XRP's price, as Upbit's trading data have proved to be a useful indicator of local investor activity.

XRP is trading well below its January 2018 peak. (TradingView/CoinDesk)Ringkasan

XRP trades around $1.33, about 62.5% below its January 2018 peak, while Bitcoin, Ether and several other major cryptocurrencies have surpassed their previous highs.Analysts attribute XRP’s lagging price partly to a sharp increase in circulating supply, weak fund inflows and declining trading activity and network use.Ripple’s focus on payments, XRP’s limited exposure to popular crypto sectors and years of regulatory uncertainty from the S.E.C. case have also weighed on demand.Holding is widely touted as a great way to build wealth in the crypto market, but it hasn't worked for every coin.

Take XRP (XRP), the payments-focused cryptocurrency native to the XRP Ledger and the world’s fifth-largest digital asset by market value.

The token is still trading well below its 2017 cycle high, while most other major cryptocurrencies have climbed far above theirs. In 2017, crypto broke into the mainstream, pulling in new users and investors during the frenzied run that carried into the first week or two of 2018.

XRP currently trades around $1.33, down 62.5% from its early January 2018 peak of $3.55. In other words, an XRP buyer from that peak is still underwater nearly nine years later. (XRP did briefly top its old high, reaching $3.66 in July 2025 before crashing.)

Bitcoin BTC$82.071,33 is up 314% from its December 2017 peak of $19,804. Dogecoin DOGE$0.08197 is up 322% from its January 2018 high, and BNB BNB$729,33 is up about 2,800%. Ether ETH$2.444,89 is up 66% and zcash (ZEC) is up 38%. Tron is also slightly below its peak, down about 4%. Solana launched in 2020.

Bitcoin, ether and many other tokens have pulled back sharply from their 2025 peaks, yet remain far above their 2017 highs.

Too many coinsAnalysts point first to XRP’s supply.

"Circulating supply grew 63%, from 38.7B in 2017 to 63.1B, while XRP's total market value fell only about 3%," Nicolai Sondergaard, senior research analyst at analytics firm Nansen, told CoinDesk. "More XRP in circulation means each token represents a smaller share of roughly the same total value."

Circulating supply is the number of coins on the market, and as it grows, each coin represents a smaller share of the total.

Oliver Carding, head of marketing at Tesseract Group, says XRP looks better when measured by total value instead of price.

"On value, XRP recovered," he said. "About 63% more XRP is in circulation than at that peak, so the same circulating market capitalization would mean a price roughly 39% lower."

Tesseract is an institutional digital asset management firm that manages over $500 million in assets under management.

Weaker demandU.S.-listed exchange-traded funds, or ETFs, have opened the door for institutional investors to take exposure to digital assets. While bitcoin and ether funds have pulled in billions, XRP funds have lagged big time.

"ETF uptake has also been muted relative to $BTC and $ETH," said Paul Howard, senior director at market-making firm Wincent.

To date, XRP funds have pulled in just $1.80 billion in investor money since debuting nearly a year ago, according to data source SoSoValue. Bitcoin ETFs often attract over $1 billion in investor money in a single day.

Nansen's data also shows trading activity has weakened, with XRP spot volume down 53.5%, perpetual futures volume down 44%, and active addresses down 10.7%.

Ripple's focusRipple, the payments company closely tied to XRP, has focused on cross-border payments rather than chasing sectors such as DeFi, AI, and memecoins, which have attracted greater capital flows and deeper integration with traditional finance.

"Ripple, meanwhile, has been working hard to build payment infrastructure, RLUSD and trade financing products around the usage of the ledger and coin, and this has taken focus from just core XRP," Howard said.

Investors also have more choices now.

"The role of DeFi for investment into ETH, SOL and HYPE has also been a new narrative which $XRP has not focused on," Howard said.

The SEC caseRipple’s legal fight with U.S. regulators also held XRP back.

The Securities and Exchange Commission sued Ripple and two of its executives in December 2020, saying the company had raised about $1.3 billion by selling XRP without registering it as a security.

A federal judge ruled in 2023 that XRP sales on public exchanges were not securities offerings, but that sales to institutional investors were. In 2024, Ripple was ordered to pay a $125 million penalty. The case ended in August 2025, when both sides dropped their appeals.

Carding said the prolonged regulatory uncertainty helps explain why the token missed its old high during the 2021 crypto bull run, when Coinbase suspended trading.

“The SEC case helps explain why XRP did not revisit its 2018 high in 2021, when Coinbase suspended trading, but the appeals were dropped in August 2025 with XRP above $3,” Carding said. “Since then, XRP is down about 59%, against 32% for bitcoin and 44% for ether, and its circulating market capitalisation is down about 56%.”

Not the only laggardXRP isn't the only coin trading below its early 2018 highs.

"On price, six of the other nine assets in the January 2018 top ten are further below their levels of that week," Carding said.

For those watching XRP, Carding has a suggestion.

"What I would watch is XRP against bitcoin, alongside net monthly distribution after re-escrow and changes in fund holdings," he said. "Relative weakness that persists as distribution slows would point to weaker demand."

In plain English, Carding is watching whether XRP underperforms bitcoin even as fewer new XRP tokens enter the market through Ripple’s escrow releases. If supply growth slows but XRP still lags bitcoin, it would suggest that investor demand for XRP is weakening.

Speculative traders in the derivatives market launched a large-scale counterattack to defend the XRP token from a prolonged decline after the release of tough macroeconomic data in the US.

According to the analyst 'DarkFrost' from CryptoQuant, an abnormal capital inflow was recorded on Binance alone as key support levels broke: more than $184 million flowed into long contracts within a few hours. This allowed XRP to quickly recover from its drop below $1.30 and show a local rebound of 5%.

HOT Stories

The massive wave of selling began after XRP corrected by 22.5% from its September high of $1.65. Pressure on the cryptocurrency sector came from US consumer price (CPI) and producer price (PPI) indices that were "hotter" than expected, which triggered a drop in US stock indices.

However, some large players viewed XRP's drop below $1.30 as an extreme market asymmetry and opened positions against the current bearish trend.

All the money went to Binance (literally)On-chain data confirms that the defensive wave of liquidity was isolated and bypassed other major exchanges, concentrating in one place:

Abnormal volume on Binance: In the peak hour, the volume of market buy orders (Taker Buy Volume) on the exchange exceeded $73 million. Several subsequent hourly intervals brought in another $35 million each, forming a total of $184 million in speculative capital.

Low activity on competing exchanges: Other major exchanges ignored the move. In the same peak hour, the volume of similar buys on Bybit was only $1 million, and on OKX, less than $451,000.

card

Despite the short-term success of the strategy and the subsequent 5% price rise, analysts point to high risks for the market. The spike in the Taker Buy Volume metric in the derivatives market reflects the opening of leveraged positions rather than long-term interest from spot investors.

The high concentration of margin contracts in a narrow price range on Binance makes XRP highly vulnerable to cascading liquidations and guarantees increased volatility in the coming days.

Ripple Labs, a blockchain payments company recognized for its fast, low-cost cross-border payment solutions, has seen its native token, XRP, attract significant institutional interest on Wall Street. Over the past thirteen weeks, XRP-powered exchange-traded funds (ETFs) accumulated a cumulative net inflow of $1.8 billion, according to data from analytics firm SoSoValue.

Institutional ETF demand led by Bitwise, Franklin Templeton, and CanaryETF trading data reflected a steady, sustained appetite for XRP among institutional investors. The three leading funds—Bitwise, Franklin Templeton, and Canary Capital—have driven this positive momentum during a 13-week streak of net inflows.

Bitwise’s XRP-linked ETF remains the market leader, having attracted $688.48 million in inflows to date. Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ fund follows, racking up $396.59 million, while Canary Capital’s XRPC product has drawn $325.47 million. All three ETFs maintain competitive fee ranges between 0.16% and 0.29%.

This ended a three-day stretch without new investments during regular business days.

ETF momentum fails to boost XRP priceDespite persistent institutional interest, XRP’s price performance has not mirrored the ETF inflows. At the time of writing, XRP has fallen 4.5% in the last 24 hours and trades within a tight range of $1.30 to $1.35, according to CoinGecko.

This week, Evernorth debuted a $476 million fund on NASDAQ that incorporates XRP exposure. Market analysts have cited this new fund as a potential catalyst for improved sentiment if it delivers strong returns, potentially influencing the broader perception of XRP in traditional markets.

However, large holders—often referred to as crypto whales—remain cautious. Data suggest these influential market participants have recently reduced their XRP holdings, signaling skepticism about an imminent rally. The Chaikin Money Flow (CMF), a technical indicator that assesses buying and selling pressure, showed negative readings between -0.07 and -0.21 on various timeframes, indicating selling sentiment persists.

Mini dictionary: Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) is a technical analysis indicator that measures the volume-weighted accumulation and distribution of a security over a specific period, providing signals on buying or selling pressure in the market.

XRP ETFs continue to attract hundreds of millions of dollars from institutional investors, yet this robust demand has yet to trigger a sustained price increase for the underlying token on the spot market.

Market observers are watching to see if changing macroeconomic or geopolitical factors may eventually translate investor enthusiasm for XRP ETFs into upward price movement on crypto exchanges.

XRP traders who bet on higher prices are mostly losing money right now. Data from Hyperliquid perpetual futures trackers shows that up to 96.1% of XRP long positions were opened above where the token currently trades.

A post on X flagged the same pattern, noting that most net-long XRP positions were entered above the current price.

A volatile few days for XRP Between October 13 and 15, 2026, XRP traded in a range of approximately $1.28 to $1.50. It then settled somewhere around $1.30 to $1.34.

As of October 15, the token’s 24-hour range ran from $1.28 to $1.39.

There is one notable exception. A large long position worth approximately $47 million was opened at around $1.13, and it has stayed profitable through the recent turbulence.

Derivatives data paints a mixed picture On OKX, XRP open interest fell by approximately 29.7% between September 22 and October 14. The count dropped from 150.4 million contracts to 105.7 million.

Yet the traders who remain are leaning heavily bullish. The long/short account ratio reached 3.6:1 by October 14, meaning 360 accounts were long for every 100 short. That reading was the highest since mid-August 2026.

The coin-margined long-position share among top traders climbed to 84.2% by October 14, up 4.8 percentage points. Coin-margined contracts use XRP itself as collateral rather than a stablecoin. That setup amplifies exposure, because a falling price hits both the position and the collateral backing it.

Why the positioning matters With up to 96.1% of Hyperliquid long entries above spot, further declines could trigger liquidations. Each forced sale adds selling pressure, which can push prices lower and threaten the next batch of positions. The 3.6:1 long/short ratio suggests there is plenty of long exposure available to unwind if things go wrong.

Broader market context suggests continued inflows into XRP exchange-traded funds and declining exchange reserves, which hints at ongoing demand outside the leveraged futures market.

XRP’s recent low sat around $1.28, and a break below that zone could test how much margin these accounts actually have. Accounts with deeper pockets and better entries, like the $47 million position opened near $1.13, have more room to ride out swings that would wipe out smaller players.

Ripple integroval RLUSD do systému Cross River Bank

CoinGecko News 95
Original source text
Ripple has joined forces with Cross River Bank to integrate RLUSD, its U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin, into the bank’s core operating system. This partnership aims to enhance institutional payment options by embedding blockchain-based RLUSD settlements into existing banking infrastructure.

Stablecoin integration targets seamless paymentsCross River Bank, a U.S.-based financial institution known for providing banking services to fintech companies, announced the RLUSD integration on October 15. The move will allow businesses to settle payments at any time and transfer funds between traditional payment networks and blockchain environments.

RLUSD is set to become accessible through Cross River’s proprietary Core Operating System. Transactions will gain support for the XRP Ledger, Ripple’s public blockchain protocol that enables high-speed, low-cost payments.

Businesses and fintech firms will be able to connect to RLUSD using a single API, eliminating the need to build their own blockchain infrastructure. This streamlines access to digital dollar payments for companies handling cross-border or real-time transactions.

Ripple emphasized in its public statement that RLUSD payments are now being integrated into the banking systems fintechs already rely on for their operations. The company also highlighted the benefit of 24/7 settlements and improved flexibility for intraday payment cycles.

RLUSD payments are now being embedded within the banking infrastructure fintech companies use daily, offering round-the-clock settlement and expanded flexibility for intraday payments.

According to Ripple, this integration will allow companies to handle treasury flows, cross-border transactions, and various payment networks without the complexity of multiple providers.

Broader payment capabilities for fintechsCombining RLUSD with Cross River’s established infrastructure introduces a new layer of interoperability for payment networks. Issuers and acquirers can handle intraday settlements more flexibly, leveraging both blockchain and conventional channels.

The new integration makes it possible to move funds between RLUSD and traditional U.S. dollars, supporting transfers by ways such as Automated Clearing House (ACH), wire transfers, and real-time payments—all through one banking and API platform.

This approach allows fintech companies to rapidly add stablecoin payment options to their services without building out new systems from scratch, helping them streamline operations for domestic and cross-border payments.

Adam Goller, Head of Fintech Banking at Cross River, noted that the integration will reduce reliance on multiple partners and simplify cross-border money movement.

Markus Infanger, Senior Vice President at RippleX, underlined the importance of bringing stablecoin solutions directly into banking frameworks, rather than treating them as siloed financial products.

RLUSD and the importance of the XRP LedgerRLUSD is Ripple’s stablecoin, each unit backed by cash, U.S. Treasury bills, and other liquid assets to guarantee a 1:1 peg with the U.S. dollar. Ripple maintains regular third-party attestations of these reserves.

The integration utilizes the XRP Ledger, a decentralized public blockchain that supports rapid and continuous transaction processing. On average, transactions on the XRPL finalize in three to five seconds and can be executed at any time of day.

By linking RLUSD to established banking platforms via the XRP Ledger, the partnership aims to make blockchain-based settlements accessible to businesses already using conventional financial tools. This could be particularly useful for fintech firms engaged in cross-border trade, merchant payments, and complex treasury operations.

Mini dictionary: Cross River Bank is a U.S. commercial bank specializing in real-time, API-based banking solutions for fintech companies. The XRP Ledger (XRPL) is a public and decentralized blockchain platform designed for fast, low-fee digital asset transfer and settlement.

Building on prior stablecoin initiativesCross River previously launched a stablecoin payments service in November 2025, tying digital currencies into its real-time banking system to link traditional and blockchain-based transactions.

This original platform was designed to support network settlement, merchant payouts, on- and off-ramp functionalities, and streamlined treasury management. RLUSD’s addition expands the suite of payment options available to companies operating on Cross River’s network.

Recent figures from Cross River’s latest announcement indicate RLUSD’s market cap has surpassed $2.5 billion, with over $1 billion in RLUSD issued on the XRP Ledger. This points to a growing role for RLUSD in institutional payments and settlements.

MetricRLUSD TotalIssued on XRPLMarket Capitalization$2.5 billion$1 billionThe impact of this integration will depend on the rate at which fintechs and payment networks adopt it. Currently, the service is active in only a limited set of U.S. states, so national coverage has yet to be achieved.

The expansion of RLUSD within Cross River’s core payment infrastructure aims to make blockchain settlement more accessible and efficient for a wide array of fintech partners, but actual adoption will reveal its long-term significance.

Companies already using Cross River’s banking solutions may gain a streamlined route to stablecoin settlements, reducing complexity and potentially improving settlement speed and flexibility.

According to a recent Bloomberg report, Ripple is broadening its reach in the traditional finance space by opening up access to perpetual futures for stocks, commodities, and other traditional assets for institutional investors.

Ripple's prime brokerage arm, Ripple Prime, is launching the new service that will give institutions access to over 100 markets, including equities, stock indexes, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and commodities.

The new offerings come at a time of explosive growth in perp contracts on real-world assets, with open interest across several major platforms jumping from near zero to around $9 billion in the last year.

HOT Stories

Unlike traditional futures contracts, perpetual contracts don't expire, so users can hold leveraged positions without needing to roll them over into new contracts.

Ripple expands Wall Street ambitionsThe new products are being rolled out via Trade.xyz, which is a large trading platform for perp contracts on traditional assets on the decentralized Hyperliquid platform.

Earlier this year, in February, Ripple Prime launched crypto perpetual futures as part of its growing efforts to offer a full trading solution for institutional investors.

The new offering includes features like cross-margining, where investors can leverage the same collateral across different positions instead of needing separate margins for each trade.

Per Michael Higgins, the international CEO of Ripple Prime, this new setup could allow institutional users to more effectively manage their capital and access new liquidity pools.

At the same time, Higgins stressed that with this new offering, institutions can gain exposure to these markets on a "more regulated" infrastructure.

Perps futures grow in appeal to institutionsThe explosion in growth for real-world asset perpetual futures has been drawing increasing interest from hedge funds and professional market makers.

As Higgins pointed out, institutional traders are now looking into various strategies around using these new instruments.

On the one hand, some investors are looking to pursue basis trades by taking positions on perps and their underlying assets to exploit price discrepancies. That would let them avoid general market exposure.

Meanwhile, Higgins indicated that traditional hedge funds are on the cusp of being able to get direct access to tokenized real-world assets.

Large XRP holders have ramped up their transfers to Binance, bringing whale deposits to the cryptocurrency exchange to the highest levels seen in seven months. This development comes as XRP’s price continues to slip, trading close to $1.30 after it fell below major technical support levels.

Whale inflows surge, price faces pressureData from blockchain analytics firm CryptoQuant shows the 30-day total of significant XRP deposits to Binance stands at nearly 1.6 billion tokens. This figure matches levels reported in early April. By late July, the sum had fallen to about 400 million XRP, so the pace of large-holder deposits has quadrupled in less than three months. The most substantial single-day deposit activity occurred in mid-August, coinciding with XRP briefly rallying to $1.70.

Whale inflows to exchanges often attract attention because assets transferred to trading platforms are more readily available for sale. One analyst commented that increased deposits by large holders can expand the volume of XRP on centralized exchanges, increasing the risk of selling pressure as a result. While deposits do not guarantee an imminent sale, they do facilitate larger trades if sentiment weakens.

Increased whale inflows to centralized exchanges can increase the amount of XRP available for trading, potentially raising the risk of selling pressure.

The token has fallen below the 100-day moving average and the 200-day moving average around $1.38—a bearish signal for market participants. Trading volume has also decreased, and the daily relative strength index (RSI) currently sits near 35, reflecting weak momentum. While not yet in oversold territory, the token is hovering near its next support at $1.28, having just tested this level. If downward pressure persists, the $1.00 to $1.05 area is viewed as the next significant price floor.

Technical analysts often interpret a break below two key moving averages as confirmation of a negative trend, with persistent whale deposits worsening the outlook for potential buyers.

For XRP buyers to regain control, the price would need to reclaim $1.38, putting it back above both moving averages. Until then, the market appears to remain in favor of sellers, and additional downside toward $1.20 is possible if whale inflows continue while prices stay under $1.30. Conversely, if significant deposits slow and the token holds above support, the current correction could simply represent a pause within a broader trading range.

Mixed signals from on-chain activityXRP Ledger’s on-chain data presents a mixed picture. Daily network transactions remain steady at approximately 2.4 million, and the number of active accounts has risen 10%. However, payment transactions have dropped by 38% and overall payment volume is down 52%. This pattern suggests more wallet activity, likely linked to trading rather than increased real-world payments or adoption.

Founded by Ripple Labs, the XRP Ledger is an open-source blockchain designed to facilitate global payments and currency exchange. It supports a wide range of tokenized assets and provides fast, low-cost transactions.

Until price action reverses and whale activity subsides, analysts believe caution is warranted for market participants watching XRP’s next moves.

Trumpův příkaz upřednostňuje Bitcoin před XRP

Key Takeaways

Donald Trump named XRP, Solana and Cardano in his March 2025 cryptocurrency reserve announcement, triggering a market rally.
His executive order ultimately prioritized Bitcoin while placing other cryptocurrencies under a separate US Digital Asset Stockpile.
The government cannot actively purchase XRP for the stockpile under the existing order without additional executive or legislative action.

President Donald Trump once appeared to give XRP a major political endorsement, naming the Ripple-linked cryptocurrency among five digital assets proposed for a US crypto reserve.

But more than a year later, an important question remains: Does Trump actually support XRP, or was the announcement largely political messaging?

The answer lies in the difference between Trump’s March 2025 social media announcement and the executive order that followed.

While the president publicly named XRP, the administration’s formal cryptocurrency strategy established a clear preference for Bitcoin.

Why Did Trump Include XRP in His Crypto Reserve Announcement?
On March 2, 2025, Trump announced on Truth Social that his proposed US crypto reserve would include XRP, Solana (SOL) and Cardano (ADA).

He subsequently added Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), describing the two largest cryptocurrencies as central to the reserve.

The announcement triggered an immediate market reaction.

According to Reuters, the cryptocurrency market gained more than $300 billion in value within hours, while Bitcoin jumped over 11% and Ethereum climbed approximately 13%.

However, controversy emerged over how XRP entered the discussion.

In May 2025, Politico reported that a lobbying firm previously working for Ripple had helped craft Trump’s original crypto reserve message.

Trump was reportedly angered after learning about the firm’s Ripple connection.

The account raised questions about whether XRP’s inclusion reflected a carefully developed government strategy or outside lobbying influence.

Bitcoin Reserve vs XRP Stockpile: What Trump’s Executive Order Actually Says
On March 6, 2025, Trump signed an executive order establishing two separate government cryptocurrency holdings structures.

The distinction matters.

The Strategic Bitcoin Reserve holds government-owned Bitcoin obtained through forfeitures, with provisions for additional budget-neutral acquisitions.

The US Digital Asset Stockpile, meanwhile, covers other cryptocurrencies acquired through criminal or civil forfeitures.

Unlike Bitcoin, XRP cannot be purchased for the stockpile under the existing executive order without further executive or legislative action.

The order also does not explicitly name XRP, Ethereum, Solana or Cardano as mandatory holdings.

Instead, the stockpile’s composition depends on the digital assets the government legally obtains.

Treasury has discretion over managing those assets, including potential sales, whereas Bitcoin deposited in the strategic reserve is intended to remain held.

Is Trump Bullish on XRP, and Could the US Government Buy It?
Trump’s announcement demonstrated political recognition of XRP, but it did not establish a government investment commitment.

That distinction is especially important for XRP price predictions.

A government purchasing program could potentially create additional demand. Simply retaining confiscated tokens does not produce the same market effect.

As of October 2026, publicly available official information does not establish the existence of a dedicated federal XRP buying program or a verified total of XRP held in the stockpile.

For Ripple and the broader XRP ecosystem, regulatory clarity and institutional adoption may therefore matter more than Trump’s original announcement.

The administration’s crypto-friendly direction could support industry development, but it does not guarantee XRP purchases, price appreciation, or preferential treatment.

The bottom line: Trump publicly backed XRP’s inclusion in a proposed crypto reserve, but his implemented policy gives Bitcoin a fundamentally different status. Until Washington authorizes XRP purchases or establishes a more explicit policy, claims that the US government is actively accumulating XRP remain unsupported.
