One of the biggest bottlenecks in the AI infrastructure market is high bandwidth memory (HBM), and according to Morgan Stanley, three companies have locked up 85% of next year's production in advance: Nvidia (NVDA +0.19%), Alphabet (GOOGL +0.79%) (GOOG +0.69%), and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD -0.34%).
HBM is a specialized form of DRAM that is frequently packaged with AI accelerators to reduce latency and optimize their performance. As the balance of AI workloads has shifted away from training and toward inference (in other words, putting trained models to work), demand for HBM has accelerated even more. Meanwhile, HBM supply remains constrained due to a few factors.
The first reason is that while the big three HBM makers -- SK Hynix, Samsung, and Micron -- are working to rapidly increase their production capacity, to do so, they need extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography machines -- the same ones that processor chip foundries need to make advanced logic chips such as graphics processing units (GPUs). Those are in limited supply. ASML is the only company in the world with this technology, and it is increasing its capacity at about a 30% rate.
In addition, to manufacture an HBM chip requires upwards of three times the wafer capacity of an ordinary DRAM chip. That, too, limits memory makers' ability to rapidly increase production. Finally, it generally takes a couple of years to construct new clean rooms.
With demand for additional computing power so high, the reality is that having the best AI accelerator sometimes isn't the biggest advantage; having access to the necessary components and manufacturing capacity is. The huge edge that Nvidia, AMD, and Alphabet have gained by ensuring they'll have the HBM they need is one reason why all three stocks look like buys.

Nvidia has locked up the largest supply of HBM for 2027, according to Morgan Stanley estimates, taking 37% of capacity. With the company signing a $500 billion multiyear partnership with HBM leader SK Hynix in June, it has also secured a significant volume of HBM supply in future years. It has also locked down CoWoS capacity, the advanced packaging technology that stacks logic chips and HBM together, for its GPUs and CPUs (central processing units).
While Nvidia has an additional competitive moat thanks to the wide use of its CUDA software platform among AI developers, the supply chain advantages it has gained by ensuring its access to HBM should not be overlooked.

While Alphabet is best known for Google Search, the company has become a major force in the AI semiconductor space with its Tensor Processing Units (TPUs). It has also secured 36% of 2027's HBM capacity. It will split that memory between the custom chips it co-designed with Broadcom and those it co-desgned with MediaTek.
In July, Broadcom signed a long-term HBM supply deal with Samsung worth $200 billion through 2030, and it has stated that Anthropic will become its largest customer, as it will be selling the frontier lab Alphabet's TPUs. The three companies have also signed a long-term partnership for future TPU iterations.
While Alphabet is a complete AI company with its own foundational model, its TPU business is set to be its biggest growth driver. TPU sales to Anthropic will provide a new high-margin revenue stream, while the company has said it gets a quick one-year payback for cloud computing when it uses its own chips.

AMD has secured the third-largest supply of HBM, locking up about 12% of 2027's production, as well as significant CoWoS capacity for both its GPUs and CPUs. In March, it signed a long-term memory deal with Samsung to secure future supply.
The company's new MI455X GPU uses 50% more HBM than both its previous-generation MI355X and Nvidia's brand-new Rubin GPU, and AMD has recently said it is feeling the HBM supply crunch as demand for its new Helios server has surpassed expectations.
With HBM in tight supply, AMD is also getting innovative. Its new Versal SoC (system-on-a-chip) will integrate LPDDR5X memory-on-package (MoP) architecture to boost bandwidth without needing HBM. This will be more aimed at the physical AI market and will help shield embedded clients from the HBM supply crunch. That has the added benefit of freeing up HBM for its new GPUs aimed at AI workloads.
Nvidia CEO Drops Bold Prediction as Chip Sales Could Double Next Year Summary
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang expects chip sales to double next year as AI demand continues to expand across industries
Nvidia NVDA CEO Jensen Huang expects the company to sell roughly twice as many chips next year as it does this year, pointing to continued demand for artificial intelligence technology across industries.
Huang made the projection while attending an AI-focused meeting hosted by King Charles III in Scotland. He said businesses and governments in many countries continue to invest in AI because of its potential economic benefits.
The forecast comes after Nvidia projected about $673 billion in revenue for fiscal 2028, representing growth of roughly 70% from the prior year. The company does not disclose its total chip sales volume, making the unit-growth outlook difficult to compare directly with its revenue forecast.
Nvidia's portfolio includes data-center graphics processors such as Blackwell and Rubin, along with CPUs, networking chips and processors used in robotics and vehicles. Huang previously said the company shipped six million Blackwell GPUs over four quarters.
Huang also joined executives from Google DeepMind, OpenAI and Anthropic at the Scotland meeting, where discussions included AI safety and product testing.

Jensen Huang uvedl, že Nvidia čeká v příštím fiskálním roce růst tržeb o 70 % a označil ji za „první a jedinou růstovou value akcii“. Firma zároveň míří na hrubou marži 72 % až 73 %.
Speaking at Goldman Sachs' Communacopia + Technology Conference on Sept. 10, Nvidia (NVDA +2.54%) CEO Jensen Huang highlighted a series of growth forecasts for his company and the artificial intelligence (AI) market at large. Notably, Huang doubled down on his projection that the world's annual AI infrastructure spending would land between $3 trillion and $4 trillion by 2030. For reference, market research firm Gartner projects that global AI infrastructure spending will total roughly $1.48 billion.
At the conference, Huang also reiterated the guidance that Nvidia issued with its fiscal Q2 report earlier this month for sales growth of 70% in its next fiscal year. He went on to describe Nvidia as the "world's first and only growth value stock." What does that mean for investors?
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. Image source: Getty Images.
What should investors make of Huang's "growth value" framing? Huang has done an incredible job guiding Nvidia's growth, turning it into the most important player in the AI hardware space and the world's most valuable company by market cap. He's undoubtedly a visionary leader and one of this century's most important and influential figures.
At the same time, it would probably be a stretch to call Nvidia the world's first and only "growth value stock." With the benefit of hindsight, many of history's biggest tech winners could have been placed in the category at various points in their growth trajectories -- and there are probably other stocks on the market right now that could also justifiably fit in it.
On the other hand, Huang isn't wrong to point out the unusual nature of Nvidia's current valuation profile relative to its growth. Despite its incredible valuation run-up and megacap size, traditional valuation metrics suggest Nvidia could be significantly undervalued.

Nvidia is currently trading at roughly 23 times this year's expected earnings and roughly 12.5 times expected sales. Given the company's stellar growth rates this year, the stock actually looks quite cheap based on those valuation metrics. The company grew revenue 106% year over year in the second quarter, and adjusted net income surged by 118%.
The company is on track for massive growth this year, but valuation multiples that look low compared to the business's rates of sales and earnings expansion would make sense if the business were on track for big performance drop-offs next year and beyond. That doesn't appear to be the case.
With Nvidia guiding for roughly 70% revenue growth in fiscal 2028 and gross margins of 72% to 73%, the business is seemingly poised for another year of strong sales and earnings growth. The company has also tended to be conservative in its guidance. With that in mind, there are good reasons to think that Huang is correct to highlight the striking "growth value" characteristic of his company's stock.

Huawei zrychluje vývoj AI čipů: Ascend 960DT má přijít v 1. čtvrtletí 2027, tedy o devět měsíců dříve, a 960PR ve 3. čtvrtletí 2027. Čipy budou určeny pouze pro domácí trh v Číně.
Up until now, Nvidia's (NVDA +2.54%) top-tier AI chips – particularly its powerful GPUs – have easily been the best in the world. That's why they've been in such demand all over the world.
Well... all over the world, except for China. U.S. export controls on sensitive technology prohibit the company from selling its top-of-the-line GPUs and other AI chips to Chinese customers.
That created an uneven playing field that's benefited Nvidia's main Chinese rival, Huawei. And an announcement Huawei made today may indicate that the Chinese chipmaker is about to make a serious play for Nvidia's crown.
Here's what was said and what it means for Nvidia investors.
A world of differenceLately, the U.S. has eyed Chinese technology companies with suspicion and has used export controls to restrict American companies from selling high-end AI chips into the Chinese market. Nvidia had to design a chip, the H20, specifically to comply with U.S. export controls. The H20 was essentially a less-powerful "China-only" variant of its Blackwell chip.
But in June 2025, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced that new, more restrictive AI chip export controls would ban the sale of even the lower-grade H20 to Chinese customers. Nvidia lost $2.5 billion in revenue and took a further $4.5 billion charge due to excess H20 inventory it suddenly found itself unable to ship. It now reports no revenue from China.
At the time, Huang warned that cutting China off from U.S. chips would spur the country to invest more heavily in its own domestic AI chip development efforts. That warning seems prescient in light of today's Huawei announcement.

Huawei desperately needs to scale upAccording to a Wall Street Journal analysis, Huawei's current Ascend 950 line of chips still doesn't measure up to Nvidia's Blackwell line in terms of raw computing power. But Huawei has been working to change that.
Today in Shanghai, David Wang, one of the rotating chairmen of Huawei, announced a major acceleration in the company's planned chip release schedule.
The Ascend 960DT AI chip, originally set for release in Q4 2027, will instead be released in Q1 2027, nine months ahead of schedule. The companion Ascend 960PR chip, which was also expected in Q4 2027, will now be released in Q3 2027, three months earlier than planned. Wang also announced that the next two Ascend generations – the 970 and 980 – will be released in 2028 and 2029, respectively, with computing power expected to double with each generation.
Of course, Nvidia will also be making more powerful chips by 2029, and it has a big head start. So how much of a problem could this be?

Only a long-term problemHuawei has made it clear that the Ascend 960 chips will be supplied only to China's domestic market. Another of Huawei's rotating chairmen, Eric Xu, told reporters, "Since we don't have enough capacity to even satisfy the demand in China, we don't have a plan to expand into the international market in a fully fledged way."
Since Nvidia isn't currently selling into the Chinese market, Huawei's advances – even if they're significant – are unlikely to have any impact on its finances in the near term. But Huawei could become a major thorn in Nvidia's side over the long term if it can scale up production significantly and improve its chips' performance faster than Nvidia can.
That's a lot of ifs, however. For now, Nvidia investors can feel secure that Huawei's gains won't become Nvidia's losses anytime soon.
Nvidia letos podle článku nečeká split akcií; firma po loňském 10:1 splitu a ceně kolem 120 USD stále vykazuje silný růst. Ve čtvrtletní zprávě navíc uvedla výhled růstu tržeb asi o 70 % v příštím fiskálním roce.
While an Nvidia (NVDA +2.54%) stock split in 2026 isn't impossible, I think it's highly unlikely. The company last completed a stock split in 2024, when its share price stood at roughly $1,200. After the 10-for-1 split, the company's stock traded at roughly $120 per share.
Currently, it's trading around $210 per share, which is likely not a high enough pure-dollar level to encourage the company to reorganize its stock structure.
That said, I still think that Nvidia stands out as a worthwhile long-term investment.

Nvidia's growth outlook and competitive positioning are strong Nvidia and other leading AI stocks have recently seen some downward valuation pressures connected to increased calls for safety guardrails and other regulations around the progression of artificial intelligence (AI) development. These technologies are evolving fast, and there are good reasons to be concerned. On the other hand, I expect that the intensifying focus on the dangers that AI poses will ultimately have a relatively small impact on Nvidia's growth trajectory.
While leading figures from top AI companies such as Anthropic, OpenAI, and Space Exploration Technologies have recently highlighted the need for a more forward-looking approach to navigating the dangers of artificial intelligence, I think it's unlikely that any of them will reduce their spending on advancing their AI initiatives.
Of those three companies, only SpaceX is public right now -- but keep an eye on quarterly reports from it and other public, AI-focused businesses such as Alphabet, Amazon, and Meta Platforms, and see if any of them announce a reduction in capital expenditure plans for the coming year or suggest that they expect to reduce their investments in compute infrastructure further out. It's probably not going to happen.

In its latest quarterly report (for Q2 fiscal 2027), Nvidia guided for sales growth of roughly 70% in its next fiscal year. It was the first time that the AI hardware leader had provided guidance for the next fiscal year in a fiscal Q2 report, and that unprecedented move was made possible because of the strength of the demand backdrop. The company also guided for gross margins of between 72% and 73% in its fiscal 2028.
Nvidia is now shipping its Vera Rubin architecture -- a platform built around the Rubin graphics processing unit (GPU) and its Vera central processing unit (CPU). This next generation of processing power offers substantial improvements in compute capacity, which will support further advancements in high-end AI models. The company is also selling its Vera CPUs separately, which will help the tech leader achieve a wider foothold in the server CPU market. While GPUs continue to be the most important processing components in advanced AI, Nvidia is moving to significantly increase its ability to win in multiple data center spending categories.
Stock splits shouldn't be the foundation for a long-term investment Stock splits have been hotly anticipated events in recent years. By multiplying shares and bringing down the pure-dollar stock price, companies can make their stocks more appealing to some retail investors. This can increase buying action and send the company's share price higher.
There has also been a self-reinforcing bullish effect with stock splits recently. When a stock split is highly expected or announced, investors anticipate bullish momentum as a result. The increased buying action to take advantage of this expected dynamic often increases the company's valuation.
On the other hand, stock splits don't do anything to change a company's fundamentals. The good news there is that Nvidia's fundamentals continue to look strong. It is growing its sales and earnings at incredible rates for a company of its size, and the broadening of its tech product stack seemingly has the business on track to score wins that will further diversify the business and open up new growth channels.
Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk a Jensen Huang podle článku přesvědčili Donalda Trumpa, aby ustoupil od návrhu federálního dohledu nad AI. Generální ředitelé tvrdí, že by zvýhodnil OpenAI, Anthropic a Google.
Three CEOs with hundreds of billions already committed to AI infrastructure made separate calls to the White House last week, and a proposed federal oversight body quietly disappeared. Here is what each of them said on their earnings calls that…

Three of the loudest voices in AI spent last week working the phones. Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META | META Price Prediction) CEO Mark Zuckerberg, SpaceX (NASDAQ:SPCX) CEO Elon Musk, and NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang reportedly spoke separately with President Donald Trump and convinced him to back away from a proposed federal AI oversight body. The concept, floated by Google DeepMind’s Demis Hassabis, would have created an industry-funded standards and testing body modeled on FINRA to evaluate frontier models before deployment. The three CEOs argued the framework would cement dominance for OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, creating a regulatory moat.
Zuckerberg: AI Is Now the Whole Business On Meta’s Q2 2026 call, Zuckerberg told analysts “AI is accelerating our core business today, powering our next generation of products, and opening the door to entirely new enterprise opportunities.” He also flagged that Meta is “receiving a lot of offers for compute at a significant premium over what we paid for it”. Revenue rose 27.96% year over year to $60.80 billion, but diluted EPS of $6.18 missed the $7.2214 consensus by 14.42%. Capex hit $30.12 billion in the quarter, and Meta narrowed full-year 2026 capex guidance to $130 billion to $145 billion. Free cash flow collapsed to $784 million from $8.55 billion.
Musk: 20 Gigawatts and Exclusive to NVIDIA Musk left little doubt about his AI ambitions on the August 4 earnings call. “We are building AI compute capacity at scale faster than anyone else, we believe,” he said, adding that the company’s “tentative target is to actually have 20 gigawatts at the power and cooling level online by the end of next year.” On chip supply, he was blunt: “Going forward, we’ve decided to build exclusively on NVIDIA because we think the Vera Rubin architecture is the best architecture.” SpaceX’s AI segment revenue jumped 247% year over year to $2.56 billion, with $15.83 billion of the quarter’s $18.37 billion in capex directed to AI compute infrastructure.
Huang: “Compute Is Revenue” Huang was the most direct. “AI has reached its inflection point. It’s doing useful work. Its tokens are productive and profitable. Now, compute is revenue,” he told investors on August 26. He also warned that NVIDIA is running short: “At this moment, we have supply for 70%. We have more supply than 70%, but about 70%. Our demand is much higher than that.” Q2 FY2027 revenue reached $96.22 billion, up 105.85% year over year, with Data Center at $89.02 billion and Q3 guidance of $108.0 billion. Supply obligations swelled to $279 billion.
The three CEOs are collectively committing hundreds of billions to AI infrastructure, and the power, cooling, and networking suppliers riding that spend are the subject of a free report we put together here: 7 Stocks Powering the AI Boom (That Aren’t Chipmakers). Any framework that slows model deployment lands directly on those bets. Keep an eye on how White House advisor David Sacks, who favors lighter, voluntary approaches, shapes what comes next.

Jensen Huang just told a Scotland audience something about 2027 chip demand that sent analyst models scrambling and put NVIDIA's stock within striking distance of an all-time high.
This post may contain links from our sponsors and affiliates, and Flywheel Publishing may receive compensation for actions taken through them.
Shares of NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA | NVDA Price Prediction) are trading higher Thursday, up 2% to $219 in late-morning trading, after CEO Jensen Huang told an audience at a Scotland tech gathering that chip sales in 2027 are projected to roughly double compared to 2026. The move puts the stock back within reach of its 52-week high of $236.
Huang Signals a Doubling in 2027 Chip Sales Huang confirmed at the event that shipment and sales volumes are expected to increase twofold next year, echoing what management already told investors on the August 26, 2026 earnings call. On that call, the CFO said “Customers’ forecasts point to our growth doubling next year” and framed the fiscal 2028 outlook, which calls for roughly 70% revenue growth, as “a supply-constrained outlook.” Huang added that “The unconstrained is significant.”
The doubling narrative is being driven by the Vera Rubin platform, which entered full production alongside continued Blackwell deployment. Vera Rubin is expected to be “the fastest product ramp in NVIDIA’s history,” with per-gigawatt revenue opportunity rising to roughly $40 billion, up from $25 billion on Blackwell. Huang also stressed at the Scotland event that AI safety is paramount and that unsafe products should be withheld from the market.
Supply Commitments and Sovereign AI Are Locking In Demand The demand backdrop is visible in NVIDIA’s own balance sheet. Supply obligations swelled to $279.0 billion, largely tied to memory procurement for Vera Rubin, per NVIDIA’s most recent 8-K filing. Management also disclosed guarantee obligations capped at $108.5 billion for AI cloud partners and said financing platforms with Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and KKR are expected to mobilize over $500 billion of third-party capital for AI infrastructure.
Sovereign and enterprise AI, which Huang calls the invisible half of the business, is “growing 100% a year.” Sovereign AI revenue alone grew 35% sequentially and more than tripled year over year. Neocloud partners are expected to exit the year with eight gigawatts of installed capacity, versus roughly three gigawatts at the end of 2025. AWS is deploying an additional 2 million GPUs through fiscal 2029, and OpenAI’s existing and planned commitments now represent roughly 12 gigawatts of NVIDIA compute. All those gigawatts have to be powered, cooled, and networked by somebody, which is why we profiled seven of those suppliers in a free AI infrastructure report.
Estimate Revisions Are Racing to Catch Up Analyst models are re-rating quickly. Consensus EPS for the fiscal year ending January 2028 has climbed from $12.67 ninety days ago to $15.57 today, with 39 upward revisions in the past 30 days and zero cuts. Revenue for that year is now pegged at roughly $678 billion. NVIDIA’s most recent quarter delivered $96.22 billion in revenue, up 105.8% year over year, and management guided Q3 to $108.0 billion, so the doubling comment lands on top of an already-hot setup.
At $219, NVIDIA trades at a forward P/E of 23, with a $329 average analyst target and a market cap of roughly $5.29 trillion. Shares are up 17.8% year to date despite a 2% pullback over the past month.
What to Watch Next Keep an eye on the stock into the close to see whether today’s move holds above the $213 50-day moving average. The next hard catalyst is the fiscal Q3 report, where investors will look for confirmation that Vera Rubin is on pace to hit management’s target of roughly 20% of data center revenue in the current period.

Nvidia ve čtvrtek přidala asi 2,5 %, zatímco Huawei urychlila plán čipů Ascend 960DT na začátek roku 2027. Čínská firma ale dál naráží na omezenou výrobní kapacitu.
Huawei is accelerating its system-scale challenge, although domestic supply constraints limit the immediate competitive threat. Summary
China’s Nvidia alternative is moving faster but remains capacity constrained.
Nvidia NVDA, the dominant AI-accelerator and data-center platform provider, confronted a faster competitive push from Huawei Thursday as the Chinese technology giant pulled forward its next generation of AI chips, Reuters reported. Nvidia shares gained approximately 2.5% to $219.24. Huawei now plans to launch its Ascend 960DT in early 2027—roughly three quarters earlier than previously expected—followed by the 960PR in the third quarter, sharpening the race for the infrastructure powering increasingly massive AI workloads.
Huawei is thinking beyond a single accelerator. Its Peerium architecture is designed to eventually link as many as one million processors, while a nearer-term supernode would connect 4,096 chips. That scale directly targets the system-level advantage Nvidia has built around GPUs, networking and tightly integrated AI infrastructure. But the headline numbers come with a major constraint: Huawei says production still cannot satisfy demand inside China, making manufacturing capacity a potential brake on both domestic adoption and any meaningful overseas expansion.
That distinction matters because Nvidia's AI engine is already operating at enormous commercial scale. Data-center revenue reached $89 billion, accounting for roughly 92.5% of the company's latest $96.2 billion quarter. The GuruFocus picture also remains unusually strong: Nvidia carries a GF Score of 95 out of 100, with standout profitability, growth and financial strength, while GF Value is clearly the weakest part of the profile. In other words, Huawei is raising the competitive pressure, but the real test will be whether it can turn ambitious processor counts into reliable supply, software adoption and customer deployments at scale.

IonQ, Oak Ridge a NVIDIA ukázaly, že generativní AI může zkrátit kompilaci kvantových obvodů z minut na sekundy. V testu klesl čas z více než 11 minut na 28 sekund.
For years, quantum computing hit a stubborn software wall. While quantum hardware promised to resolve complex computational bottlenecks, the time and cost of calibrating quantum circuits created a commercial barrier. When setting up a calculation takes longer than the calculation itself, the technology becomes much less practical.
A joint milestone achieved by Oak Ridge National Laboratory, IonQ, Inc. NYSE: IONQ, and NVIDIA Corporation NASDAQ: NVDA tackles this operational dilemma. By training generative artificial intelligence models to design quantum circuits directly, researchers showed compilation runtimes can drop from minutes to seconds.
Get IonQ alerts:
This engineering leap pulls quantum computing out of isolated academic testing and steps it closer to regular commercial use, offering technology investors two distinct ways to position for the growth of advanced computing.
Cracking the Code: A Quantum Compilation BreakthroughOn Sept. 16, 2026, researchers presented a study at IEEE Quantum Week in Toronto detailing how a generative AI model can write quantum optimization circuits directly.
Hybrid quantum optimization breaks an intricate problem down into smaller pieces, solves each on quantum processors, and reassembles the results.
Historically, finding the correct circuit instructions for each segment required a repetitive trial-and-error method known as variational parameter tuning. Researchers had to run, measure, adjust, and rerun circuits dozens or hundreds of times. As quantum subproblems grew larger to yield higher-quality answers, the tuning tax escalated rapidly, driving up cloud computing costs and lengthening execution times.
To eliminate this roadblock, the research team trained a transformer model on near-optimal circuit configurations. Rather than relying on repetitive guess-and-check loops, the AI model generated candidate circuits directly. Running on a single NVIDIA H200 graphics processing unit within the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility's Defiant2 supercomputer, the framework evaluated a fixed set of candidate circuits, sidestepping the iterative bottleneck entirely.
Time Is Money: Slicing 11 Minutes Down to 28 SecondsThe results show how much this approach could improve quantum computing at larger scales. When tested against a dense benchmark problem involving 100 decision variables, the traditional compilation method suffered severe latency. The circuit-finding runtime jumped from approximately 34 seconds on four qubits to more than 11 minutes on 12 qubits.
The generative AI model, by comparison, maintained an almost flat runtime of roughly 28 seconds across every qubit scale tested. At the same time, the quality of the generated answers roughly doubled as the number of quantum subproblems increased.
For enterprise clients, computational efficiency can directly translate to lower costs. Classical high-performance computing clusters consume substantial electricity and capital during endless compilation cycles.
Reducing the runtime to 28 seconds could make it easier for companies in logistics, financial modeling, and materials science to run optimization routines within more predictable budgets. This improvement could also support broader adoption across commercial cloud platforms, improving the economics of quantum-as-a-service (QCaaS).
IonQ's Cash Runway Keeps Expansion RollingThis milestone arrives at an opportune moment for IonQ, Inc. IonQ continues expanding commercial access to its trapped-ion systems through major cloud partners, including Amazon's NASDAQ: AMZN AWS, Microsoft's NASDAQ: MSFT Azure, and Alphabet's NASDAQ: GOOGL Google Cloud.

Financial results highlight growing commercial traction. IonQ reported second-quarter revenue growth of roughly 286.7% year-over-year (YOY), with annual revenue reaching about $130.02 million. For the quarter ending in June, IonQ posted an earnings per share (EPS) loss of 33 cents, beating consensus expectations by 23 cents.
Operating in deep technology requires careful capital management. IonQ generated an annual net loss of approximately $510.38 million, reflecting ongoing research investments. Additionally, the federal government recently awarded $100 million grants under the CHIPS and Science Act to competitors D-Wave Quantum NASDAQ: QBTS, Rigetti Computing NASDAQ: RGTI, and Quantinuum NASDAQ: QNT, while bypassing IonQ.
IonQ carries zero long-term debt and holds a current ratio of roughly 10.66, providing a multi-year cash cushion. While peer D-Wave posted second-quarter revenue of just $3.1 million, IonQ continues to scale its top line. IonQ currently trades near $40 and sits well below its 52-week peak of $84.64, while Wall Street maintains an average price target just over $67.
CUDA-Q: NVIDIA's Quantum TollboothWhile pure-play quantum developers navigate long-term hardware roadmaps, NVIDIA is establishing itself as the infrastructure bridge connecting classical data centers to quantum processing units.

The Oak Ridge benchmark relied on NVIDIA's CUDA-Q open platform and cuQuantum software development kit running on an H200 accelerator. NVIDIA also introduced its CUDA-Q Logical software, designed to assist developers with multi-qubit error correction. By embedding its software layer across both trapped-ion and superconducting systems, NVIDIA captures enterprise compute demand regardless of which hardware architecture leads the market.
NVIDIA pairs this strategic positioning with reliable profitability. The company generates annual revenue of around $215.94 billion, with second-quarter sales climbing approximately 105.9% YOY. With net margins hovering near 63.66% and annual net income of about $120.07 billion, NVIDIA trades at a forward price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of roughly 24. A board-authorized $80 billion share repurchase program provides additional support for long-term NVIDIA shareholders.
Balancing High-Beta Growth With Tech GiantsCommercial quantum computing is moving from theoretical ambition to engineered reality. Resolving the compilation bottleneck proves that combining accelerated classical computing with quantum algorithms can unlock productivity gains for complex logistics and industrial challenges.
Investors assessing the space face two distinct asset profiles. IonQ represents a high-beta opportunity with operational upside, supported by triple-digit top-line growth and a debt-free balance sheet. Potential risks remain centered on elevated net losses and the reality that these recent benchmarks were conducted via classical GPU simulation rather than live physical hardware.
NVIDIA offers a lower-volatility infrastructure vehicle that monetizes the hybrid quantum shift while generating free cash flow from its core artificial intelligence hardware footprint.
Growth-focused investors seeking early-stage disruption might consider tracking IonQ for stabilization after its recent consolidation, while conservative investors may prefer NVIDIA as a diversified anchor to capture the ongoing expansion of advanced computing.

Nvidia za první dvě čtvrtletí letošního roku vrátila akcionářům zhruba 46 miliard USD na dividendách a zpětných odkupech. Další zvýšení dividendy může přijít, protože firma dál generuje silný peněžní tok.
Nvidia (NVDA +0.81%) is currently the world's most valuable company, with a market cap of over $5.1 trillion as of Sept. 15. As the central chip designer of the AI boom, Nvidia's business has seen unprecedented demand, and as a result, huge amounts of cash keep rolling in. Now, it's beginning to ramp up shareholder returns instead of focusing solely on reinvesting for growth.
Through the first two quarters of its current fiscal year, Nvidia has returned around $46 billion to shareholders through dividends and stock buybacks, and much more is likely on the way.

Why Nvidia gave its dividend a major boost Nvidia first began paying a dividend in November 2012. After its 4-for-1 (2021) and 10-for-1 (2024) stock splits, the initial dividend was $0.001875 per share quarterly. Nearly 14 years later, Nvidia's quarterly dividend is $0.25 per share after it gave the payout a 2,400% boost in June from the $0.01 per share it previously paid.
The reason for the huge dividend boost was simple: Nvidia is making tons of money. In just the past three years, its revenue and net income have increased by 431% and 546%, respectively. It now also has $99.4 billion in cash, cash equivalents, and short-term securities on its books.
NVDA Revenue (Quarterly) data by YCharts.
With Nvidia rolling in cash, it was getting harder and harder to justify paying out a dividend of a penny per quarter.
Why another hike might be coming Nvidia's business still has plenty of runway. Even if (or when, rather) its growth rate slows down from its current rapid pace, it has a chance to remain one of the faster-growing tech stocks in the world. So it's at a point where it can aggressively reinvest in its business and also reward shareholders more handsomely.
Much of the $46 billion Nvidia has returned to shareholders has come through stock buybacks -- it spend $20 billion and $19.7 billion on them in the first and second quarter, respectively -- but a dividend hike lets Nvidia reward investors directly. It still has $99 billion in buybacks planned under its current authorization, but it's unclear how it will execute them.
Another dividend hike could also put Nvidia on the same tier as more mature big tech dividend payers like Microsoft and Apple. Neither has a yield that would get most to consider them as income stocks, but their payouts have been reliable and growing consistently over the years.
No matter how big Nvidia's next dividend hike is, the stock is a growth stock at heart. The dividend is simply a nice-to-have perk that should continue to compound over time.
Nvidia ve fiskálním 2. čtvrtletí vykázala 27,0 miliardy USD tržeb zákazníkům se sídlem na Tchaj-wanu, tedy 28 % tržeb. Článek to ale připisuje hlavně přesunu objednávek přes tamní systémové integrátory, nikoli přímé tchajwanské poptávce.
When investors think about who buys Nvidia's (NVDA +0.81%) chips, the names that come to mind tend to be American: the giant cloud platforms and the labs building artificial intelligence (AI) models. The company's latest quarterly filing offers a different answer.
During the fiscal second quarter of 2027 (the period ended July 26), $27.0 billion of Nvidia's revenue was billed to customers headquartered in Taiwan. That's 28% of the quarter's $96.2 billion total.
The line is climbing fast, too. A year earlier, it was $8.9 billion, or about 19% of revenue. Three months before the latest quarter, it was about $12 billion, or roughly 15%. So the dollar figure tripled in a year and more than doubled in a quarter -- far faster than the business as a whole grew.
An investor could see that and worry the growth story has quietly moved somewhere unexpected. The stock sits near $212 as of this writing, down about 10% from its 52-week high.
But I think the disclosure is more useful than alarming. It shows who Nvidia bills -- and why that group isn't the same thing as demand.
A $27 billion line itemNvidia sorts revenue by geography using the headquarters location of the direct customers it bills. On that basis, the United States led the fiscal second quarter at $60.1 billion, or about 62% of revenue. Taiwan came second at $27.0 billion. China, including Hong Kong, contributed $7.9 billion, and the rest of the world combined for just $1.3 billion. Altogether, customers headquartered outside the U.S. accounted for 38% of the quarter's revenue, against 30% a year earlier.
The quarter those numbers sit inside was itself enormous. Companywide revenue totaled $96.2 billion, up 106% year over year, and about 92% of it came from the data center business.
In other words, Taiwan wasn't just growing with the company. It was gaining share of a total that itself doubled.
Who is actually buying?Nvidia's direct customers (the buyers it invoices) include distributors, companies that build graphics cards and servers, cloud service providers, AI model makers, and system integrators. And the company notes that the end customer and the shipping location may be different from the direct customer's headquarters.
Taiwan happens to be the home base of much of the industry that turns Nvidia's chips into finished AI servers. Nvidia's own annual filing names Taiwan-based Hon Hai Precision Industry, better known as Foxconn, among the contract manufacturers that assemble, test, and package its final products.
Much of the revenue billed to Taiwan, then, is likely hardware passing through intermediaries on its way to data centers somewhere else.
In other words, the Taiwan line doesn't say Taiwanese demand for AI chips tripled. It more likely says that as Nvidia's newest products (full server racks, not just chips) ramped up, more orders routed through the island's system builders before reaching the cloud providers, AI model makers, and other end users Nvidia calls its indirect customers.
Concentration is the real disclosureRead the table that way, and it becomes a measure of how much of Nvidia's revenue lands with just a few direct customers. One direct customer accounted for 16% of Nvidia's total revenue in the quarter -- about $15 billion billed to a single buyer.
That shape isn't new, either. In the same quarter a year earlier, two direct customers represented 23% and 16% of revenue. Of course, the names behind the percentages can shift as orders route differently. But a few enormous buyers of record have carried the company for a while.
Further, the same island shows up on the other side of the business. Nvidia's annual filing names Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing among the foundries that produce its semiconductor wafers.

So Taiwan sits on both sides of Nvidia's business. Much of the manufacturing happens there, and more than a quarter of revenue is billed there. Any disruption to the island's role (geopolitical or otherwise) would touch both sides at once.
Demand itself is better judged elsewhere. Management's forecast for the fiscal third quarter, now underway, is $108.0 billion of revenue -- and growth like that is ultimately a claim about what customers keep spending.
The geography table can't tell you whether they will. Paired with the concentration disclosure, it tells you how few names of substantial size are on the invoices. That concentration, I'd argue, is the finding worth taking from the filing.
Nvidia (NVDA +0.81%) remains the dominant supplier of graphics processing units (GPUs) used to train and run artificial intelligence (AI) models. However, its latest acquisition suggests the company also wants a stronger position in how developers choose and deploy those models.
On Sept. 2, Nvidia agreed to acquire Hugging Face, paying $11.9 billion to Hugging Face's shareholders and up to $1 billion in equity awards for employees joining Nvidia. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals.
The price looks steep given Hugging Face's current business model. The company was recently generating more than $150 million in annualized revenue (the latest monthly revenue was multiplied by 12). Using $150 million as a benchmark, the $11.9 billion shareholder purchase price equals roughly 79 times the revenue run rate. Including the potential employee awards takes the total deal value to around $12.9 billion, or about 86 times the annualized revenue.
The employee awards are also notable. The potential $1 billion retention package equals more than 8% of the amount being paid to shareholders. Hence, Nvidia is not simply paying for Hugging Face's current revenue or technology. Retaining the people behind its platform also appears to be an important part of the deal.
Hugging Face deal expands Nvidia's role beyond AI chips Hugging Face platform hosts over 3 million models and is used by more than 18 million developers, researchers, and creators. More than 200,000 companies use Hugging Face to work with AI models, from evaluating and adapting them to putting them into production.

Hugging Face's extensive reach among developers and enterprises could become increasingly important to Nvidia as competition in AI chips intensifies. Meta Platforms, Microsoft, OpenAI, and other large technology companies are developing custom AI chips. Hence, AI demand can continue to grow even if a larger share of workloads eventually runs on chips made by other companies.
Hugging Face can give Nvidia another way to participate in the growing AI ecosystem. Developers can use the platform to find, customize, and deploy AI models while choosing how those models will ultimately run.
Every Hugging Face workload will not use Nvidia hardware. But the platform brings Nvidia closer to developers as they choose models, tools, and computing platforms, which could become more valuable as competition in AI hardware increases.
Hugging Face needs to remain open source Nvidia has said Hugging Face will remain open across different models, frameworks, cloud providers, and computing platforms. Nvidia hardware will also not be required to build or deploy AI through the platform. Keeping that flexibility could be important to preserving Hugging Face's broad developer appeal, especially as Nvidia ownership has already raised concerns about possible favoritism toward its own hardware.
If Nvidia starts favoring its own GPUs on Hugging Face, developers using Advanced Micro Devices' chips, custom accelerators, or other hardware could have more reason to look elsewhere. Reuters has already reported concerns that Nvidia's ownership could eventually lead to preferential treatment for its own hardware, despite the company's commitment to keep Hugging Face open and interoperable.
Keeping Hugging Face open across different models and computing platforms could help preserve its broad developer network. More models and AI applications can create more workloads that require computing power. Nvidia can then compete for those workloads through its GPUs, CUDA software, networking products, and broader AI infrastructure offerings. This gives the company another way to remain relevant even if customers increasingly use competing or custom AI chips.
Open models can help Nvidia sell chips Public model repositories on Hugging Face increased from 2.43 million to 2.96 million during the first seven months of 2026. AMD and Nvidia were also the two most active organizations publishing new open models, with each releasing more than 200 model repositories.
Hugging Face says hardware companies are increasingly using open models to demonstrate their chips and encourage adoption. Nvidia also makes a similar point in its regulatory filing for the acquisition. The company says demand for open-source foundation models and applications promotes the use of its products worldwide. However, it also warns that these models could reduce demand for Nvidia's products if they are primarily deployed on competing platforms.
Hence, growth in open models can create both opportunities and risks for Nvidia.
Risks cannot be ignored Hugging Face's financial contribution will initially be small compared with Nvidia's existing business. Nvidia generated $96.2 billion in revenue in its latest quarter (the second quarter of fiscal 2027, ending July 26, 2026), including $89 billion from the Data Center segment alone.
Additionally, government restrictions on open-source AI models could reduce the number of models and data sets available through Hugging Face or increase the platform's compliance costs. This risk is relevant because many popular open-source models originate in China before being downloaded, modified, and tested by developers elsewhere. Nvidia says restrictions based on where models originate could materially affect both Hugging Face and its own business.
There is also considerable execution risk associated with the purchase price. Hugging Face was valued at $4.5 billion in its last disclosed funding round in 2023. Nvidia's roughly $12.9 billion deal value is nearly three times that valuation.
Despite the risks, Hugging Face can strengthen the long-term Nvidia investment thesis. While Nvidia's GPUs will continue to generate most of the revenue and profits supporting its valuation, Hugging Face can give the company a strong competitive advantage.
Nvidia, Google a Emerald AI spustily alianci pro řízení spotřeby datových center AI podle podmínek sítě. Cílem je uvolnit až 100 gigawattů stávající kapacity pro AI.
The biggest threat to Nvidia Corp’s (NASDAQ:NVDA) AI boom may not be a slowdown in demand. It may be whether the power grid can keep up. As Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang pushes back against calls to slow AI development, Nvidia is simultaneously working with Alphabet Inc‘s (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOG) Google and energy companies to make AI data centers flexible enough to respond to grid conditions — revealing the infrastructure constraint behind the next phase of the boom.
Nvidia Rejects AI SlowdownThe debate over AI’s pace intensified this week after Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei renewed calls for the industry to slow frontier AI development and strengthen safety measures. Huang took the opposite view at Salesforce, Inc.‘s (NYSE:CRM) Dreamforce conference, arguing that AI safety should be treated primarily as an engineering challenge rather than a reason to slow development.
That matters for Nvidia because its business depends on the continued expansion of AI computing infrastructure. Every new generation of models and AI agents requires more computing, and that computing ultimately requires electricity.
Huang has increasingly framed energy as part of the AI infrastructure equation. Nvidia’s recent work focuses on getting more AI output from each unit of electricity, rather than treating power availability as a fixed constraint. Its DSX platform is designed to coordinate compute, networking, cooling and power so AI factories can produce more tokens per watt.
AI Data Centers Meet The GridThat strategy took a bigger step Wednesday.
Nvidia, Google and Emerald AI launched the AI Energy Management Alliance, Axios reported. The alliance brings together 18 companies across AI, utilities and energy. The group wants to make data centers flexible enough to adjust electricity consumption in response to grid conditions, potentially allowing more AI capacity to connect without overwhelming local power systems.
The idea is not to make AI use less power in absolute terms. It is to make the demand more flexible.
Nvidia says Emerald AI has demonstrated data centers reducing power demand by as much as 40% in under a minute while maintaining critical workloads. The company says that flexibility could help unlock up to 100 gigawatts of existing U.S. grid capacity for AI factories.
That could become increasingly important as AI data centers grow larger and compete with households, manufacturers and other industries for scarce grid capacity.
Power Becomes The BottleneckFor Nvidia investors, this creates an unusual tension.
The company is arguing that AI development should continue rapidly, while simultaneously investing in technology designed to manage one of the physical limits to that expansion.
That doesn’t mean electricity demand will slow Nvidia’s growth. Instead, it suggests the company’s opportunity is expanding into another layer of the AI stack: helping data centers manage the power needed to run Nvidia’s own GPUs.
The next phase of the AI infrastructure race may therefore be measured not just in GPUs, racks or data centers, but in megawatts that can actually reach them. If Nvidia can help customers turn power-hungry AI factories into flexible grid assets, electricity will no longer be just a constraint on AI growth and will become another infrastructure market Nvidia can help optimize.
Akcie Nvidia ve středu vzrostly o 1,5 % poté, co Mark Zuckerberg odmítl výzvy ke zpomalení vývoje AI. Jeho postoj zmírnil obavy z omezení poptávky po čipech.
Meta CEO Zuckerberg Sends Fresh Signal for Nvidia Stock and AI Spending Summary
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said AI companies have incentives to manage safety without a coordinated slowdown, easing concerns around Nvidia’s chip demand
Nvidia NVDA shares climbed 1.5% on Wednesday as Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg pushed back against proposals for a broad slowdown in artificial intelligence development, easing some concerns about potential restrictions on the technology sector.
Zuckerberg said existing market incentives and legal exposure can encourage AI companies to address safety concerns without requiring a mandated reduction in development, according to a Wednesday report.
His comments put Meta alongside Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who has also opposed measures that could restrict the pace of AI progress. The debate follows calls from executives at OpenAI and Anthropic for greater caution as AI capabilities advance.
For Nvidia, the discussion matters because tighter rules could affect demand for advanced chips and the infrastructure needed to train and operate AI models. Investors have been monitoring whether technology companies will maintain large-scale spending on data centers and computing capacity.
The latest market reaction suggests Zuckerberg's position may have reduced some near-term concern over regulatory constraints, although the broader debate around AI safety and development remains unresolved.

AI výprodej zasáhl technologie, ale text tvrdí, že poptávka po infrastruktuře neklesá. Výsledky NVIDIA a dalších firem za 2. čtvrtletí ukazují zrychlující výstavbu AI kapacit.
AI leaders shocked the world by calling for a slowdown in AI’s advancement and for regulation. The news triggered a sector-wide drawdown, raising the risk of a deeper correction, but short sellers shouldn’t get their hopes up.
As scary as it may seem to AI investors, the slowdown in AI’s advancement isn't likely to affect the infrastructure buildout. For the market, more advanced AI models don't matter, since labs such as OpenAI and Anthropic already have highly capable (and potentially dangerous) versions; what matters is the infrastructure to deploy utilitarian AI across the enterprise landscape.
The market gets this wrong: safety and capacity aren’t the same thing. AI demand is not collapsing. Q2 results from NVIDIA NASDAQ: NVDA to Salesforce NYSE: CRM, and nearly every AI-capable company in between, point to accelerating infrastructure demand. In this scenario, September price weakness is a good time to buy these stocks, as catalysts for their price action lie ahead.

The AI Boom Hasn’t Really Boomed (Yet)Key details for investors to watch include backlogs, utilization rates, persistent pricing power, and the potential for capital expenditure (CapEx) relief. Q2 backlogs expanded at a historic pace, increasing by triple digits at Alphabet NASDAQ: GOOGL, Dell NYSE: DELL, and Super Micro Computer NASDAQ: SMCI.
Critical players like Oracle NASDAQ: ORCL, now ubiquitous across cloud instances regardless of hyperscaler, saw backlogs grow to more than $650 billion, while neoclouds like Nebius NASDAQ: NBIS reported far larger increases, with Nebius's backlog up 4x. CapEx plans among the leading hyperscalers total over $700 billion, underscoring the spend.
Utilization rates matter because they run near 100%, even for older legacy technology. The takeaway is that technology transitions from model training and advanced computing to inference as it ages out, providing a long runway for cash flow and capitalization. This is the foundational factor in NVIDIA’s ability to securitize its GPUs, enabling institutional investors such as retirement funds to invest in the cash flow.
The trigger for stock price gains will be the monetization of existing assets, which, coincidentally, aligns with profitability. Hyperscalers dialing back ultra-expensive frontier modeling will suddenly free up cash flow, removing the primary hurdle for stock prices today. The upfront cost of AI infrastructure is debilitating, impairing cash flow and profitability for most AI-related companies.
AI CapEx Fears Haven’t Derailed the Infrastructure TradeQ2 reporting was spectacular, with results outpacing consensus estimates across the board by a significant margin.
However, analysts were skeptical of CapEx plans and a rapidly differentiating market, causing stocks to move in different directions. As it stands, AI infrastructure names, including NVIDIA, remain the big winners, as they are the focus of current spending.
Wedbush pointed out that the buildout is moving slightly faster than adoption, which is a root cause of concern. The takeaway for investors is that slowing AI model spend not only improves profitability but also frees up cash to meet existing CapEx plans.

Its Helios racks provide hyperscalers with numerous benefits, including inference speed, cost, and profitability. Investors need to remember that model training is the “upfront” cost of AI, while inference is the back-end monetization. With this in mind, we can expect the data center buildout to continue at full steam, if not accelerate, over the coming quarters as AI inference ramps to critical mass.
The biggest risks for AI are bottlenecks in GPU and memory supply, as well as in energy and water. These factors are slowing the build, but also provide opportunities. Companies such as Vertiv NYSE: VRT, Bloom Energy NASDAQ: BE, and AirJoule NASDAQ: AIRJ provide hurdle-jumping technologies that enable data centers to exist and operate with minimal impact on locals.
Among the risks are the upcoming elections, which are likely to be a referendum on AI. The outcome will have far-reaching ramifications but is unlikely to end the buildout. Potentially, established AI companies could benefit from increased regulatory oversight, as it could widen their competitive moats—making it harder for new AI labs to start, limiting the risk of disruption. If increased regulations don't come about, these companies will have free rein to continue building their city-sized supercomputers.

Nokia roste o 6 % v ranním obchodování poté, co oznámila, že její AI-RAN platforma přechází do živých testů u osmi globálních operátorů. Firma uvádí zlepšení spektrální účinnosti o více než 20 %.
Nokia stock is surging while rivals Ericsson and NVIDIA barely budge, and the reason comes down to a single announcement that reframes who actually wins when AI moves into mobile networks.
Nokia (NYSE:NOK | NOK Price Prediction) stock is rising in early Wednesday trading, up 6% to $10.39 after the company said its artificial intelligence-powered radio access network (AI-RAN) platform is moving from evaluation to live field trials at eight global operators. The list spans North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, and it reframes AI-RAN as a shared industry priority rather than a single-vendor pilot. That geographic reach is what today’s move is paying up for.
The move is Nokia-specific. The iShares U.S. Technology ETF (NYSEARCA:IYW) is unchanged at $250.08, and the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSEARCA:SPY) is up 0.4% to $760.33. Nokia stock is climbing while U.S. technology sits still and the broad benchmark is only marginally higher, which frames today as a name-specific catalyst.
Peer positioning tightens the read. Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) stock is up 0.7% to $10.11, and NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) stock is up 0.9% to $214.04. Both are close to flat while Nokia leads, and that divergence gives the announcement its shape as a Nokia story.
AI-RAN Trials Reach Eight Operators Nokia announced growing global momentum for its AI-RAN business, with operators moving from early evaluation into lab and live field trials. The company named eight operators advancing proofs of concept and trials, including A1 Group, du, e&, Mobily, stc and TPG Telecom. Nokia is presenting AI-RAN as an adoption curve rather than a launch headline.
The platform pairs Nokia’s AI-native anyRAN software with NVIDIA’s Aerial RAN Computer, and Nokia says it’s built for 5G networks with a software upgrade path toward future generations. Nokia says the platform has already delivered improvements in spectral efficiency of more than 20%, letting operators wring more capacity from spectrum they already hold rather than funding a hardware refresh. That software-led capacity story is Nokia’s commercial pitch.
The commercial argument here is straightforward for Nokia. Operators can convert existing spectrum licenses into more capacity, a resonant offer in a period when radio access budgets are tight and greenfield buildout has slowed (the same non-chipmaker AI infrastructure angle we broke down in a free report on seven suppliers powering the buildout, here). Nokia’s stack promises additional headroom without the capex event of a hardware refresh.
Emma Falck, President of Mobile Infrastructure at Nokia, stated the growing ecosystem of partners across regions demonstrates that AI-RAN “is becoming a shared industry priority, enabling more intelligent, efficient and software-driven networks.” Ronnie Vasishta, Senior Vice President of Telecom at NVIDIA, declared AI-RAN “will transform the mobile network into one of the world’s largest distributed AI infrastructures.”
Why Ericsson and NVIDIA Aren’t Following The gain at Nokia rests on an ecosystem announcement. Trials and proofs of concept carry no disclosed revenue, and Nokia has put no figure on what the AI-RAN pipeline is worth. What Nokia is selling here is software that pulls capacity from spectrum operators already own, a cheaper argument than the hardware cycle Nokia would otherwise be asking them to fund.
Ericsson is the peer that tests the read. Ericsson competes directly with Nokia in radio access, and a genuine industry rerating around AI-RAN would lift both names together rather than Nokia alone. Ericsson stock’s 0.7% tick suggests today’s news isn’t yet being priced as a category-wide event.
NVIDIA sits on the supply side of the same announcement through its Aerial RAN Computer contribution. A nearly flat NVIDIA against a sharply higher Nokia signals today’s news is more material to Nokia’s positioning than to NVIDIA’s scale. NVIDIA’s market capitalization is measured in trillions, so AI-RAN attaches to a small slice of its revenue base.
The pattern here has logic. AI-RAN is a rerating catalyst for Nokia’s software mix, and for NVIDIA it’s another workload attached to a compute platform already priced for AI at scale. Ericsson’s near-flat move would likely flip if a second RAN vendor announced a comparable pipeline of trials.
What to Watch Separately, Nokia said Nokia Defense signed a memorandum of understanding with C3IA, a UK systems engineering and security services company, to support digital transformation across UK defense operations. The two plan to co-develop capabilities in tactical and operational communications, private mobile networks, command and control, sensing, autonomous systems and edge computing. Both companies participate in the UK Ministry of Defence’s TacSys framework.
As background info rather than a same-day driver, Reuters reported earlier this month that Nokia is set to rejoin the Euro Stoxx 50 index, which brings index-tracking flows on a schedule of their own. Investors in Nokia stock can watch for whether today’s operator list converts into disclosed commercial commitments in coming quarters, since that is the step that turns AI-RAN from a positioning story into a revenue line. The company’s next earnings update will be the natural checkpoint for that translation, and investors should size their exposure to reflect that pipeline conversion still needs to happen.

Sept 16 (Reuters) - Apple is considering returning to the enterprise server market, combining its own chips with Nvidia’s networking technology, The Information reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Cupertino, California-based Apple (AAPL.O), opens new tab is developing an AI server that could be offered with either two or four planned M8 Ultra chips, its highest-performance processors, according to the report.
Sign up here.
Such a move would signal Apple's push into AI infrastructure — targeting the fast-growing inference market as enterprise workloads shift from training AI models to running them — while expanding its strategy of using in-house silicon beyond consumer devices.
The server is not expected to reach the market until 2029 and could still be canceled or launched without Nvidia technology, The Information reported. It added that the initiative was backed by the then-hardware chief, now CEO, John Ternus when it began about a year ago.
Apple is considering Nvidia's (NVDA.O), opens new tab NVLink Fusion technology to connect the M8 chips, with some staffers believing Nvidia offers the best available connectivity solution for the project, according to the report.
NVLink Fusion gives chipmakers ready-made connectors and specialized memory so custom AI chips can plug into Nvidia's larger data-center systems.
Apple and Nvidia did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment. Reuters could not independently verify the report.
Apple last month refreshed its Mac lineup with M6, M5 Pro, M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips, saying the 2-nanometer M6 delivers up to four times faster AI performance, while the higher-end chips target developers and professional AI workloads.
The project would represent Apple's first dedicated server hardware offering since it discontinued its Xserve line in 2011 after shifting its focus toward standard Mac hardware and consumer devices.
The report also suggests a thaw in relations between Apple and Nvidia. The companies have had a strained relationship for nearly two decades, following disputes that culminated in Apple severing ties after widespread MacBook failures linked to Nvidia graphics chips.

CoreWeave uvedla do provozu více-rackovou platformu Nvidia Vera Rubin NVL72 a rozšířila tak svou AI infrastrukturu. Akcie CRWV v úterý vzrostly asi o 3 %.
CoreWeave Advances AI Expansion With Nvidia Rubin Rollout, Shares Jump Summary
The AI cloud provider moved a larger Nvidia Rubin deployment into production, marking another step in its infrastructure expansion
CoreWeave (CRWV) shares climbed about 3% on Wednesday trading after the AI cloud company said it had brought Nvidia's (NVDA) multi-rack Vera Rubin NVL72 platform online.
The new deployment connects hundreds of Rubin GPUs into a unified computing cluster designed to support large-scale artificial intelligence workloads. The rollout builds on CoreWeave's June launch of a single Vera Rubin NVL72 rack.
CoreWeave said the expanded system combines multiple Vera Rubin racks into one scalable environment using Nvidia's Spectrum-X networking technology. A single Vera Rubin NVL72 rack includes 72 Rubin GPUs and 36 Vera CPUs, along with networking and data-processing hardware intended for AI applications.
The company also introduced new capabilities for its AI Object Storage platform, including cross-region write acceleration and an archive storage tier. CoreWeave said the additions are designed to keep data closer to AI workloads and may reduce latency through managed caching across its Kubernetes-based infrastructure.

Nvidia, AMD a SanDisk se po pondělním výprodeji zotavují, protože obavy ze zpomalení vývoje AI narážejí na silnou poptávku po infrastruktuře. AMD uvedla, že poptávka stále převyšuje nabídku.
Wall Street’s AI panic trade is already facing its first test.
Nvidia, AMD and SanDisk stocks are trying to recover after Monday’s sharp sell-off, when calls from industry leaders to slow frontier-model development triggered a rush out of AI-linked hardware.
Nvidia fell 3.4%, while semiconductor shares broadly sold off as investors quickly translated “slower AI” into weaker data-centre demand.
That assumption is now being challenged.
AMD says demand still exceeds supply, while infrastructure investors argue that inference, enterprise adoption and competition between model developers could keep spending elevated even if frontier research slows.
Nvidia remains the clearest proxy for the AI infrastructure trade.
The bearish logic was straightforward: if OpenAI, Anthropic and other frontier developers slow model development, hyperscalers may need fewer accelerators and less data-centre capacity.
Hendi Susanto, portfolio manager at Gabelli Funds, challenged that assumption in comments reported by MarketWatch.
He argued that if leading developers slow down, “second and third tier players will seize the opening to catch up.”
Susanto also pointed to inference, enterprise AI and physical AI as demand engines that do not depend solely on ever-larger frontier models.
That matters for Nvidia because its opportunity is no longer limited to training the next generation of foundation models.
Inference, robotics and enterprise deployment can continue consuming compute even if the frontier race becomes more cautious.
Slower model progress and slower infrastructure consumption are not necessarily the same trade.
AMD provides the clearest company-level reality check, as the company's commentary offers little support for that fear.
Piper Sandler analyst David O’Connor reiterated an Overweight rating and $600 price target after speaking with AMD, describing business momentum as “full-steam ahead.”
The firm said demand remains well ahead of available supply across AMD’s portfolio, while CPU and GPU ramps remain on track.
That matters because Monday’s selloff effectively priced in the possibility that AI customers could delay infrastructure spending.
AMD also has another route to growth. Even if overall AI capital expenditure rises more slowly, customers are still trying to diversify accelerator suppliers and reduce dependence on one vendor.
That gives AMD room to gain market share without requiring the entire infrastructure market to grow at the breakneck pace investors previously assumed.
SanDisk is the useful counterweight because not every semiconductor subsector depends on the same demand drivers.
AI has lifted enterprise SSD demand as data centres require more flash storage for training datasets, inference workloads and model updates.
GF Securities analyst Jeff Pu said that the firm maintains a “high-teen QoQ NAND price expectation for 3Q26,” but expects growth to soften to low single digits in the fourth quarter as weaker mobile demand and elevated PC and handset inventories weigh on pricing.
That makes SanDisk a reminder that the AI panic trade can be overdone while the memory cycle still cools independently.
AI storage demand can remain healthy without NAND prices rising at peak rates indefinitely.
A two-day rebound cannot settle the spending debate. The real evidence will come from hyperscaler capex guidance, accelerator order books and memory pricing over the next few quarters.
Jensen Huang ze společnosti Nvidia řekl, že AI nepotřebuje nové zákony ani regulaci; bezpečnost má řešit trh a firmy samy. Podle něj je bezpečnost „inženýrský problém“, ne právní.
Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang made his position on the dangers AI poses very clear while speaking at Salesforce’s Dreamforce conference on Tuesday. To him, AI isn’t some new form of “alien mind,” as at least one OpenAI safety researcher has described it. It’s just hardware and software, he says, built by humans. That means, in his view, it can be controlled by humans and existing laws.
“Safety is an engineering problem, not a legal one,” he said. “We’re developing software after all. We’re developing computing systems after all. It’s a complicated computing system, but it’s ultimately a computing system.”
Therefore, there’s no need for new laws or regulations to govern it, he argues. In fact, Huang sees little need for new laws at all. The free market, he argues, will be enough to pressure companies not to release unsafe products.
“If we’re not confident about the safety of the products, like all companies, like you and I, all the companies here, if you build a product or a service, and you’re not confident in its functionality, capability, or safety, then don’t release it. And so that’s a very obvious thing to do,” he said.
He continued: “You pace yourself until you are confident you’re releasing something that the market would appreciate. The market forces are already there. We don’t need any new laws. We don’t need new regulations. We just need companies to decide that when [to] run as fast as they can. I think innovation, speed, and safe products … it’s a false choice. You could definitely have both at the same time. So run as fast as you can. But if you feel at any given point in time the company’s out of control, or the product’s not going to be safe, you know, take a pause and make sure you get it right.”
In some ways, this is a comforting thought. If anyone in the world knows AI, it is Nvidia’s founder, who’s been building the hardware brains of AI since well before ChatGPT existed and now runs a company that also makes open source models, agents, harnesses, and sandboxes.
Then again, if we’re being cynical, his point of view is also unsurprising for someone who’s had his bread so well buttered by the AI boom. Why would he want regulation to come along and add in a layer of hinderance that could slow down Nvidia’s quest to sell ever more AI systems and software? As he also said in the interview: “I’m more ambitious than ever. As a result of our ambition, and with the product productivity boost that we get from AI, the sky’s the limit for us. The sky’s the limit for our company. The sky’s the limit for every industry, for every single country.”
Unfortunately, even companies with the best intentions ship faulty products with unintended consequences, even software. Remember the 2024 CrowdStrike bluescreen-of-death fiasco that grounded thousands of flights and caused other havoc for businesses? Then there are companies accused of deliberately acting with less-than-good intentions. Meta just paid $18 billion to settle a lawsuit over social media harms to children.
And AI has already caused harm, too, whatever the intentions or safety testing involved, from an OpenAI model hacking into Hugging Face to lawsuits against the AI lab over the suicides of young people who engaged in long conversations with its chatbot.
The “leave them alone” strategy, which would let these companies release products as they see fit, could be an unwise approach to AI safety as far as society is concerned. Though Huang is right that it’s possible existing product liability laws could cover AI — if AI doesn’t somehow kill us all before enough cases get through the courts to test that theory.
He didn’t discuss the other route, which seems close to taking shape: industry self-regulation. Huang’s approach has been more to champion open-weight models and companies’ use of them as a competitive counterweight to proprietary AI labs.
But right now, the industry has a short window to institute self-regulation and to encourage AI labs worldwide, even those in China, to see the wisdom in participating. As Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said at the All-In Summit on Monday, “China should also deeply care about the same safety concerns if the United States cares about them, right? Why should it be different for them? It’s not like they won’t have the same hacking problem. It’s not as if they don’t want to make sure that their citizens are benefiting from AI, just like we would want our citizens to benefit from AI.”
For now, though, if Huang is a no on any new AI regulation, he may be influential enough to get his way. He also demonstrated this week that he, quite literally, has the ear of President Trump.

Nvidia otevírá své racky NVLink Fusion rivalovi d-Matrix, aby do nich mohl připojit své procesory Raptor. První rackové produkty mají přijít v roce 2027.
Nvidia is letting a rival chipmaker plug directly into its own racks, and the move only looks like a concession until you follow the money through every layer of the data center.
This post may contain links from our sponsors and affiliates, and Flywheel Publishing may receive compensation for actions taken through them.
A company that sells the most sought-after AI accelerators on earth is now helping a competitor’s accelerator slot into its own racks. NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA | NVDA Price Prediction) has opened part of its infrastructure ecosystem to d-Matrix, a Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT)-backed inference chip startup last valued at approximately $2 billion.
D-Matrix plans to wire its Raptor processors into Nvidia-powered systems using the NVLink Fusion interconnect, with the first rack-scale products expected in 2027. That would be after Raptor tapes out near the end of 2026.
Nvidia has not disclosed the financial terms of the arrangement. The counterintuitive idea worth exploring is whether Nvidia earns more as the toll collector for AI data centers than it would by trying to win every chip sale inside them.
What NVLink Fusion Actually Does NVLink is the high-speed fabric that lets racks of GPUs behave like one computer. NVLink Fusion extends that fabric to selected partners so their silicon can plug into Nvidia’s rack, share memory bandwidth, and speak the same language as Nvidia’s GPUs and CPUs.
For d-Matrix, that connection matters more than the chip itself. Inference accelerators live or die on how quickly they can reach model weights and pass tokens back to a host system.
For Nvidia, licensing the fabric turns a proprietary bus into an industry standard. Marvell (NASDAQ:MRVL) joined NVLink Fusion earlier this year, and Groq is being integrated at the rack level, with the CFO calling out a “Strategic partnership with Marvell via NVLink Fusion” in the most recent quarter.
Chief executive Jensen Huang framed the logic bluntly on the last earnings call: “AI has reached its inflection point. It’s doing useful work. Its tokens are productive and profitable. Now, compute is revenue.”
Toll Collector Case Even when a partner supplies the principal accelerator, Nvidia keeps collecting from networking, CPUs, NVLink switches, BlueField storage, and CUDA software. Data-center networking alone brought in $40.31 billion, up 138% year over year last quarter.
Rack economics reinforce the point. Nvidia now pegs data-center revenue per gigawatt at roughly $18 billion for Hopper, $25 billion for Blackwell, and $40 billion for Vera Rubin, because the AI factory now includes far more than GPUs.
Accelerator leadership changes hands faster than interconnect standards do. Once hyperscalers standardize their racks on NVLink Fusion, swapping GPUs for a rival part still leaves Nvidia inside the machine, charging for the plumbing. Someone has to power, cool, and network all that buildout, and we pulled together seven of those non-chipmaker suppliers in a free AI infrastructure report.
Total revenue reached $96.22 billion, up 105.8% year over year, and management guided the current quarter to $108.0 billion. Ecosystem expansion is funding that curve.
Where This Could Go Wrong Opening the racks hands specialized inference competitors a credible on-ramp to a workload where Nvidia’s GPU margins are fattest. Inference is precisely where custom silicon competes best on cost and power.
If Raptor and similar parts prove several times more efficient per token, hyperscalers could shift the highest-volume workloads off Nvidia GPUs while keeping the fabric. Nvidia would still collect a toll, but a smaller one.
Gross margin already tells part of that story. Management expects margins to bottom in the 71% to 72% range in the fourth quarter before recovering.
The hindsight-mistake scenario is straightforward: NVLink Fusion becomes the standard, third-party accelerators capture inference share, and Nvidia’s per-rack dollar content stops climbing. That risk is real.
Is NVDA Stock a Buy? At $218.29, Nvidia trades at a forward P/E near 24x with analyst consensus at $327.18.
Ecosystem partnerships with d-Matrix, Groq, and Marvell strengthen Nvidia’s position more than they erode it, because the fabric is the durable asset. Call it a Buy, though I’d be more careful over the near term, as rising oil prices and Treasury yields could spell trouble for the broader market as a whole, and NVDA stock can fall even if earnings do well.

Nvidia očekává tržby za 3. čtvrtletí fiskálního roku 2027 ve výši 108 miliard USD, plus/minus 2 %. Autor se však domnívá, že mohou dosáhnout 113 až 114 miliard USD.
Nvidia (NVDA +0.56%) expects third-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue of $108 billion, plus or minus 2%. Hence, the company is guiding for third-quarter revenue in the range of $105.8 billion to $110.2 billion.
However, I think Nvidia could report third-quarter revenue of around $113 billion to $114 billion. Here's why this seems like a plausible revenue target for the third quarter.
Why Nvidia could beat its third-quarter guidance Nvidia has exceeded the high end of its revenue guidance in each of the past 12 quarters. Over the past four quarters, actual revenue has averaged 3.1% above the high end of guidance. If that trend continues in the third quarter, revenue could reach roughly $113.6 billion, compared with the current high end of about $110.2 billion.
Historical outperformance alone cannot help predict future revenue. But Nvidia's operating numbers also support similar revenue numbers. In the second quarter of its fiscal 2027 (ended July 26, 2026), Nvidia's hyperscaler revenue increased 13% sequentially to nearly $49 billion. AI Clouds, Industrial, and Enterprise (ACIE) revenue jumped 25% sequentially to $40 billion, while Edge Computing rose 13% sequentially to $7.2 billion.
If the three businesses simply repeat those sequential growth rates in the third quarter, total revenue can reach approximately $113.6 billion. Hence, Nvidia doesn't need growth to accelerate for its guidance to look conservative. The company needs the growth rates it just delivered to roughly continue for another quarter.

Supply remains the key constraint ACIE already accounts for about 45% of Nvidia's Data Center revenue. Management expects ACIE to drive most of the sequential revenue growth for Data Center in the third quarter, while hyperscaler demand could pick up more strongly in the fourth quarter and in fiscal 2028. Hence, Nvidia can rely on another large near-term growth driver beyond hyperscalers.
The ongoing ramp of Nvidia's next-generation computing system, Vera Rubin, is also expected to support revenue growth. Production shipments started in August 2026. Vera Rubin systems are expected to contribute about one-fifth of Nvidia's Data Center revenue in the third quarter. Nvidia estimates that its revenue opportunity per gigawatt of AI infrastructure will increase from about $25 billion with Blackwell systems to $40 billion with Vera Rubin systems, partly because the newer platform includes more CPUs, networking products, and other system components.
However, Vera Rubin is already included in Nvidia's third-quarter revenue guidance. Hence, a larger revenue beat will depend mainly on whether the company can ship more systems than expected.
However, certain risks cannot be ignored. Management expects supply to remain constrained through fiscal 2028, while higher memory prices are also adding pressure. Additionally, since hyperscaler revenue is expected to reaccelerate in the fourth quarter, it may provide less upside to third-quarter revenue results than ACIE or other growth drivers.
Nvidia is also preparing for higher demand. Inventory increased from about $21.4 billion in January 2026 to around $31.6 billion in July 2026. Supply and capacity commitments have also jumped from $119 billion in the previous quarter to $279 billion at the end of the second quarter. Nvidia's third-quarter revenue guidance also assumes no Data Center compute revenue from China.
Hence, I think there is a high probability that Nvidia will reach $113 billion to $114 billion in revenue in the third quarter.
Industry safety warnings have not canceled orders, yet Nvidia's concentrated revenue leaves little tolerance for hesitation. Summary
Nvidia recovered part of Monday’s loss while the market reconsidered the AI spending trajectory.
Nvidia NVDA, the dominant artificial-intelligence accelerator supplier, rebounded about 1.1% to $213.24 Tuesday morning after sliding more than 3% in the previous session. The bounce shows investors are not abandoning the AI trade just yet. Calls for slower frontier-model development have injected a new layer of uncertainty, but there is still no disclosed evidence of major Nvidia customers cancelling chip orders or delaying their massive data-center buildouts.
The spending backdrop remains enormous. Reuters cited BofA Global Research estimates showing Microsoft, Alphabet GOOG, Amazon AMZN, Meta META and Oracle ORCL could collectively pour roughly $795 billion into capital expenditures in 2026 before pushing that figure to $1.08 trillion in 2027. That would represent an increase of about 36% in a single year, keeping powerful demand underneath AI accelerators, networking equipment and memory. Tighter AI-safety rules could change the pace of deployment, but investors would need to see actual project delays or budget cuts before the core Nvidia demand story materially weakens.
Nvidia's latest quarter makes the size of that exposure clear: data-center revenue reached $89 billion, representing about 92.5% of total quarterly sales, while management is targeting approximately $108 billion in third-quarter revenue. The GuruFocus graphic adds another strong signal, giving Nvidia a GF Score of 95 out of 100, with particularly high readings for profitability, growth and financial strength, alongside solid momentum; GF Value is the obvious weaker area. Tuesday's 1.1% recovery still claws back only about one-third of Monday's percentage decline, suggesting the market continues to believe in Nvidia's AI growth engine while demanding a larger cushion against any slowdown in hyperscaler spending.
Disclosures I/we have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and have no plans to buy any new positions in the stocks mentioned within the next 72 hours.
The biggest AI infrastructure players may have a planning problem. NVIDIA Corp‘s (NASDAQ:NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang says hyperscalers are "always almost wrong" because they plan capacity once a year while AI demand is changing too quickly to fit an annual calendar.
His workaround? Build a much larger network of nimble regional clouds.
• NVIDIA shares are consolidating. What should traders watch with NVDA?
Hyperscalers Can’t Move Fast EnoughThe unusual admission came during the All-In Summit, when the hosts pressed Huang on Nvidia’s support for neocloud companies and the need for more competition at the hyperscale layer.
Huang said Nvidia would be happy with five hyperscalers, but argued the industry ultimately needs 50, 100 or even 1,000 neoclouds. The reason is speed: hyperscalers typically plan their infrastructure once a year, while AI market dynamics are moving so rapidly that those forecasts can quickly become obsolete.
That creates an opening for regional cloud providers that can react faster to local demand and infrastructure constraints.
Read Next
Nvidia’s Distributed AI BetHuang said regional clouds know their markets and can move quickly to secure land, power and existing facilities, something that is harder for companies operating from Silicon Valley or Seattle to coordinate globally. Nvidia is consequently building what Huang described as a large-scale distributed network of companies securing those critical resources.
The strategy is already moving beyond the U.S. Huang pointed to activity in Australia and Southeast Asia, saying Nvidia is helping bring additional gigawatts of capacity online through regional cloud partners.
That could matter enormously for Nvidia. The company does not necessarily need every AI workload to run through a handful of hyperscalers if it can help create hundreds of smaller customers that collectively consume massive amounts of Nvidia hardware.
It also reinforces a broader shift in the AI infrastructure trade. The bottleneck is increasingly not simply who has the best chips, but who can secure the electricity, land and data center capacity needed to deploy them.
For investors, Huang’s neocloud strategy offers a different way to think about Nvidia’s next growth phase: instead of betting on fewer giant AI customers, Nvidia is helping build an army of smaller ones.
And in an industry moving faster than an annual planning cycle, that flexibility could become a competitive advantage.

Market News and Data brought to you by Benzinga APIs
V AI superpočítači Nvidia VR200 NVL72 tvoří Rubin GPU bez HBM 70 % zhruba 4milionových nákladů na bill of materials. To ukazuje, že většina výdajů hyperscalerů stále míří do čipů Nvidia.
Inside Nvidia's newest rack-scale AI supercomputer, a single line item on the bill of materials is swallowing the lion's share of a $4 million build, and it tells you exactly who wins and loses as hyperscalers race to spend $1.3…
This post may contain links from our sponsors and affiliates, and Flywheel Publishing may receive compensation for actions taken through them.
Number That Reframes the Vera Rubin Trade Inside an NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA | NVDA Price Prediction) VR200 NVL72 rack-scale AI supercomputer, 70% of the roughly $4 million bill of materials goes to one line item: the Rubin GPUs themselves, excluding their high-bandwidth memory. That figure comes from an HSBC estimated bill of materials for the VR200 NVL72 platform, and it is the cleanest single data point yet on where the AI infrastructure dollar actually lands. DRAM adds another 13%, HBM 9%, NAND 2%, NVLink 2%, cooling 2%, power supply 1%, and the CPU 1%.
What 70% Actually Tells You In an era where every hyperscaler is trying to bend the AI capex curve, the VR200 breakdown says the GPU is still where the value concentrates. Nvidia is selling the rack, and the silicon it designs takes seven of every ten dollars a customer spends to fill it. That maps to what CEO Jensen Huang told investors on the fiscal Q2 2027 call: “Today, we’re not just selling the best chips. We’re selling a full-stack AI factory platform.”
The scale of that platform is showing up in the reported numbers. Nvidia’s data center revenue hit $89.02B in Q2 FY2027, up 117% year over year, on total revenue of $96.22B with a non-GAAP gross margin of 75.0%. Management guided fiscal Q3 revenue to $108.0B plus or minus 2%, and expects Vera Rubin to account for about 20% of data center revenue in Q3. Huang described the platform economics bluntly: “For Hopper, we were at about 18 billion per gigawatt. For Grace Blackwell, we’re about 25 billion per gigawatt. And for Vera Rubin, it’s about 40 billion per gigawatt.”
Market Reaction NVDA trades at $212.35 intraday, down 7.71% over the past week and down 5.58% over the past month, as tech leaders publicly floated an AI slowdown narrative (MarketWatch, Sept. 14, 2026). Zoom out and the picture looks different: shares are up 14.13% year to date and up 854.66% over five years. Peer memory suppliers are riding the same wave. Micron Technology (NASDAQ:MU) trades at $929.17, up 225.76% year to date, and SK hynix (NASDAQ:SKHY) trades at $175.21.
Bull Case The 70% figure is a value-capture story. Every rack Nvidia ships routes the majority of its BOM back to Nvidia’s own silicon, and the demand for those racks is already booked. Huang told analysts Nvidia has “already received purchase orders from every major hyperscaler, AI cloud, and system OEM” and expects Vera Rubin to be the fastest product ramp in company history. Supply is the ceiling: “We expect to grow revenue by approximately 70% in fiscal 2028” while customer forecasts imply doubling, because “at this moment, we have supply for 70%.”
The demand pool behind that constraint is unusually concrete. Top-five hyperscaler capex is expected to reach nearly $800 billion in 2026 and $1.3 trillion in 2027, AWS is deploying an additional 2 million GPUs, and OpenAI’s commitments represent roughly 12 gigawatts of NVIDIA compute. Nvidia backed the visibility with balance sheet: total supply obligations surged to $279.0B, largely tied to memory procurement for Vera Rubin production.
The 24% of BOM sitting in DRAM and HBM is the reason Micron and SK hynix keep printing records, and it is why Nvidia has locked in a multiyear technology partnership with SK hynix for next-generation memory. Micron’s fiscal Q3 gross margin hit 84.9% on revenue of $41.5 billion, with management flagging tight DRAM and NAND conditions beyond calendar 2027. That pricing pressure is real for Nvidia, and the company acknowledged margins bottoming in Q4 in the 71% to 72% range before recovering. But the 70% BOM share means the price hikes Nvidia is passing through to customers matter more to the P&L than the memory bills it is paying. The other 30% of the rack (memory, cooling, power, networking) is its own investable theme, and we profiled seven suppliers behind that buildout in a free report on the AI stocks that aren’t chipmakers.
Bottom Line For long-term holders, the number reframes the debate. The AI slowdown chatter dominating this week’s headlines assumes the GPU tier is commoditizing. The VR200 BOM says the opposite: Nvidia’s silicon is still where the AI capex dollar lands, and the platform is expanding into CPUs, networking, and software around it. At a forward P/E of 24 with Q3 FY2027 guidance of $108.0B and Vera Rubin ramping into every hyperscaler order book, the setup rewards patience over the next few gigawatts of buildout, not just the next earnings report.

Artificial intelligence (AI) investors may be worried that the peak is approaching for tech stocks, and they may be running out of steam. Nvidia (NVDA +0.95%) CEO Jensen Huang, however, still sees loads of potential upside ahead. "The semiconductor industry is going to just keep getting larger and larger," Huang stated at a recent tech conference.
Huang has been a bit of a visionary for AI and maintains a bullish outlook for the industry, fueled by the needs of consumers. "People are expecting these AI models to be smarter and smarter because they don't like wrong answers. Then the compounded result of that should result in a very large industry."
And by "very large," Huang projects that the entire AI market will be worth between $3 trillion and $4 trillion by 2030. That's in line with a previous forecast that Huang made, which is great news for AI investors, as there appear to still be terrific growth opportunities ahead.

Nvidia's business remains robustNvidia has been a huge benefactor of the growing demand for AI models, products, and services. That much is evident through the company's recent earnings report, with its growth rate accelerating from previous periods.
While the company's growth rate has slowed from where it was a few years ago, there's been a notable acceleration in recent quarters, with its growth rate now rising back to over 100%, which is incredibly impressive for a company of Nvidia's massive size.
NVDA Revenue (Quarterly YoY Growth) data by YCharts
If Huang's forecast for the AI market ends up being true, and it does continue growing at a fast pace, then Nvidia's business may continue to dominate. While there have been tech companies developing their own chips and rivals offering custom chip solutions, the numbers speak for themselves, showing that demand for Nvidia's chips remains incredibly high. And that trend could continue for the foreseeable future. It's just a matter of how much higher its growth rate gets.

The stock may still be worth buyingAt over $5 trillion in market cap, it's hard to say that Nvidia's stock is cheap. But given the company's massive level of earnings, it's only trading at 27 times its trailing profits. It's not an obscene multiple by any stretch. It's a more reasonably priced investment than many other AI stocks.
For long-term investors, it can continue to be an excellent buy, as it'll benefit from the growth in the AI industry. The caveat, however, is that there is some risk, as how the stock performs will inevitably be tied to the outlook for AI as a whole. Nvidia has effectively been symbolic of AI's growth, and if there's optimism, it can surge higher. However, if the market is growing concerned about AI and tech companies, Nvidia could be vulnerable. For investors who are comfortable with that risk, the AI stock may be worth buying, even at its elevated levels.
Nvidia za týden klesla o 8,32 %, zatímco investor dál přikupuje kvůli silné poptávce po AI čipech. Firma zároveň uvedla výnosy 96,22 mld. USD, meziročně o 105,8 % více.
Nvidia shares just dropped over 8% in a week while AI slowdown headlines pile up, and that is exactly when one investor keeps hitting the buy button with more conviction than ever.
I keep hitting the buy button on NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA | NVDA Price Prediction), and after the pullback this month I hit it again. Shares are down 8.32% in a week while headlines warn about an AI slowdown, and that is exactly when I want to add to the one company sitting at the center of every serious AI build being planned through 2030.
The thesis reduces to one line from the CEO. “AI has reached its inflection point. It’s doing useful work. Its tokens are productive and profitable. Now, compute is revenue.” Every hyperscaler capex plan, every sovereign AI factory, every frontier lab funding round eventually turns into GPU orders, and one architecture stack keeps absorbing the demand.
Numbers That Keep Me Buying Q2 FY2027 revenue printed at $96.22B, up 105.8% YoY, with non-GAAP EPS of 2.22, the fifth straight quarter beating consensus. Data Center alone did $89.02B, up 117% YoY, and Data Center Networking grew 138%. Non-GAAP gross margin came in at 75.0%. Operating margin ran 60.4%. ROE sits at 101.5%. I have never found another company at this scale producing those three margin numbers in the same quarter.
Then the guide. Management called for $108.0B in Q3 revenue and told the street to expect fiscal 2028 growth of approximately 70%, describing it as a supply-constrained outlook. Analyst EPS for FY2028 has moved to 15.5675 from 12.6718 90 days ago, with 39 upward revisions in the trailing week and zero cuts. Estimates are chasing the business.
The balance sheet lets me sleep. Debt to equity is 0.073. Interest coverage is 503x. Free cash flow ran $21.34B in the quarter, and the company returned $26.0B to shareholders in Q2 through buybacks and the $0.25 quarterly dividend, with $99.0B still authorized. That is how a compounder behaves.
Why Not AMD or Broadcom Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD) builds real GPUs, and Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) is a strong cash generator on custom silicon and networking. I respect both. My money keeps flowing to NVIDIA because I want the platform that is absorbing the orders. NVIDIA is running a 75.0% non-GAAP gross margin and 60.4% operating margin on almost $100B in quarterly revenue, generating 92.2% ROIC. Vera Rubin already has purchase orders from every major hyperscaler, AI cloud, and system OEM, and the CPU line alone is expected to more than double in fiscal 28. That is a lock I want to own.
Risk I Take Seriously Circular financing. NVIDIA is guaranteeing $108.5B for AI cloud partners, sitting on $279B in supply obligations, and has invested nearly 50 billion in frontier AI labs that then buy its chips. If AI monetization stalls, that chain wobbles. I read the AI apocalypse coverage this morning. My conviction holds because hyperscaler capex is tracking 1.3 trillion in 2027, cloud backlog is greater than 2 trillion, and management says the compute is fungible and redeployable. Only outright demand destruction breaks this thesis, and I do not see it in the data.
What Keeps the Buy Button Live A trailing P/E near 42 and a forward P/E of 24 on a business growing revenue past 100% YoY, with 75% gross margins and a supply-capped 70% FY2028 outlook, looks like a bargain to me. I will keep buying every week the market gives me a reason to.

Nvidia rychle rozšiřuje datacentrová CPU a v posledních 12 měsících z rodiny Grace utržila 5 miliard USD. Firma čeká, že tržby z datacentrových CPU se v příštím fiskálním roce více než zdvojnásobí.
Nvidia (NVDA -3.36%) absolutely dominates the market for advanced graphics processing units (GPUs) used for artificial intelligence (AI) applications. When it comes to the ultra-computationally intensive processing required to train AI models, the company is often projected to command more than 90% of the market.
Even for less computationally intensive inference applications used to run AI software, estimates of the company's market share in the category often range between 60% and 75%. Notably, Nvidia hasn't had much to offer when it comes to central processing units (CPUs) used to run some AI inference applications, and it's only just starting to compete in the broader server CPU market that is currently dominated by Intel (INTC -5.59%) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD -4.40%). On the other hand, Nvidia looks poised to make big inroads in the server CPU market -- and it could pose significant challenges for the current category leaders.
Nvidia could be poised to upend the CPU market Due to GPUs' greater role in AI and data-center processing, and stronger margins in the category, Nvidia has been largely content to ignore the CPU market over the last decade. That's changing rapidly, however. More AI processing is being shifted to CPUs, while growth in the total number of operational and trained applications has increased the company's incentives to become a top player in the category.
The AI hardware leader is making moves to become a more diversified provider of compute technologies and services, and it looks poised for a rapid expansion in the server CPU market. In its fiscal Q2 2027 report, Nvidia revealed that its Grace family of CPUs had already generated $5 billion in sales over the trailing 12-month period, and that's almost certainly just the beginning of the company's scaling in the category.

Nvidia projects that its data center CPU revenue will more than double from this fiscal year to the next fiscal year, with the rollout of its next-generation family of processors playing a huge role in the growth. Along with its top-of-the-line Vera Rubin GPUs, the company is rolling out its Vera family of CPUs.
Nvidia has entered full production of its Vera CPUs, and it stands to see strong growth in the processing category as it pairs the hardware with its Vera Rubin GPUs and sells the tech as a stand-alone product. With its control of the high-end GPU market, the company has the advantage of delivering CPUs that are optimized for integrated performance.
Along those lines, Nvidia says its Vera hardware delivers performance and efficiency that significantly exceed those of any other data center CPU in key areas. These strengths could allow it to quickly win market share from Intel and AMD.

After using his social media site to blast Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei's push for the AI industry to slow down development, President Donald Trump went a step further on Monday.
With Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang speaking on stage at the All-in Summit in Los Angeles, Trump called the tech exec, and was then put on speaker.
"I'm telling you, it's all a hoax," Trump said, according to a video posted on social media by an attendee. "The data centers are great, and they make people wealthy, and they make states wealthy."
President Trump has inserted himself into the raging debate about artificial intelligence and whether the model developers, principally Anthropic and OpenAI, are rapidly building technology that threatens to destroy humanity. Over the weekend, Amodei published an essay arguing for the intentional slowing of the pace of model development, garnering support from OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and SpaceX's Elon Musk.
Opposition to data center development and concerns about AI have been conflated into the same discussion as people increasingly worry that the technology is taking their jobs.
Trump published numerous posts on Truth Social, including one where he said those concerned about AI and data centers are "Revolutionaries for a Bad and Evil Cause." In another post, Trump said he didn't see any need for additional AI regulation, and called the recent AI concerns a "hoax" and "a scam." He wrote that calls to slow down building are only happening because the U.S. is leading other countries in its pace of construction.
After Huang put Trump on speakerphone on Monday, the president said data centers are the "oil of the next 20, 25 years."
He also joked that Huang, CEO of the world's most valuable company, "can develop the most complex computer chip that nobody can copy, but he can't figure out how to put me on speaker."
Trump praised the construction of AI data centers, which are being filled with Nvidia's graphics processing units. While Huang and Trump have appeared together in public several times during the president's second term, Monday's phone call further highlights their tightening bond and the centrality of AI to the U.S. economy, even as other policymakers urge regulation.
"I'm with you all the way," Trump told Huang.
Those opposing data center construction are "playing right into the hands of a lot of people that don't want to see it happen," Trump said, adding that it could be coming from China.
"We're not going to let that happen," Trump said.
"You're right," Huang replied. "We're not going to let that happen, sir."
Chamath Palihapitiya, one of the co-hosts of the summit, posted on X after the session in reference to one of the videos of it, "This was surreal."

CoreWeave spustila službu Physical AI Field Engineering, která má pomoci průmyslovým klientům vyvíjet fyzické AI aplikace. Tahle expanze může zvýšit poptávku po GPU od Nvidia.
CoreWeave (CRWV -6.75%), a provider of cloud-based AI infrastructure services, recently launched a new hands-on service called Physical AI Field Engineering. The company will send its own experts to work directly inside its engineering and manufacturing clients -- including auto, aerospace, and robotics companies -- and help them build physical AI applications.
Traditional AI software is easy to train as long as it deals with digital data, but producing physical products -- such as car parts, sensors, and rocket engines -- is messier because many data scientists don't understand physics and engineering. Most engineers also don't know how to build and train large language models (LLMs) for AI platforms.
To close that gap, CoreWeave hires specialized engineers with backgrounds in data science and sends them to assist those companies. These "embedded" engineers will help CoreWeave's clients aggregate their physical data (from tests, sensors, and live feeds) to develop customized AI models for their physical products. By doing so, they ensure these AI models actually obey the laws of physics before they're integrated into the manufacturing process.
This new business could expand CoreWeave's total addressable market by reaching more manufacturing, robotics, and aerospace companies. It would also increase the stickiness of its ecosystem while expanding its higher-margin professional services business. However, this strategy could also generate tailwinds for Nvidia (NVDA -3.36%), the world's leading AI chipmaker.

How could CoreWeave's strategy help Nvidia? Nvidia owns about 11.5% of CoreWeave, making it one of the company's largest investors. Therefore, any strategy that expands CoreWeave's reach is good news for Nvidia.
CoreWeave is also one of Nvidia's largest customers. At the end of 2022, it operated only three data centers. Today, it operates 51 data centers across North America and Europe, and it's installed more than 250,000 of Nvidia's high-end GPUs in those servers. CoreWeave will need to buy even more GPUs from Nvidia as it gains more manufacturing customers.

Most of Nvidia's sales still come from tech giants like Microsoft, Amazon, and Alphabet's Google. But with CoreWeave's Physical AI Field Engineering push, it can expand its total addressable market into physical industries. That expansion could also drive the increased adoption of Omniverse, Nvidia's software platform for creating physics-based digital twins and simulation services. Nvidia already locks in its AI customers with its proprietary CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture) platform and other software, so Omniverse clearly complements that strategy.
CoreWeave's Physical AI push won't immediately boost Nvidia's stock, which has already rallied nearly 20% over the past 12 months, but it makes it a more compelling long-term investment. It could also widen Nvidia's moat against its smaller, custom, and niche competitors.
Nvidia Corp‘s (NASDAQ:NVDA) AI revenue comes from just a handful of buyers. CFO Colette Kress hopes to turn that customer concentration risk into recurring revenue by getting paid once for GPUs and again when they generate compute income.
Three direct customers generated 44% ($78.2 billion) of Nvidia’s $177.8 billion revenue in the first half of fiscal 2027—up from two customers driving 35% a year earlier.
That rising concentration underscores how heavily Nvidia’s growth relies on a handful of tech giants. Even as Data Center revenue surged 117% year-over-year to $89 billion last quarter, Nvidia is now pushing to broaden who consumes its compute, not just who buys its GPUs.
Nvidia Wants to Get ‘Paid Twice’Enter Nvidia’s “neocloud” strategy.
Under the model, Nvidia sells data center infrastructure to AI cloud providers and backs them with cloud-service agreements to help finance capacity. In exchange, Nvidia takes a cut of the rental revenue when third parties use that compute.
CFO Colette Kress summarized the strategy on the earnings call: "In this model, we get paid twice—once on the hardware sale and again through the share of rental revenue."
By capturing that secondary stream, Nvidia moves from simply supplying AI infrastructure to sharing in the ongoing economics of AI demand.
The Customer Base Could Get Much BiggerNvidia expects non-hyperscaler businesses — including sovereign AI, regional neoclouds, enterprises, edge computing and air-gapped data centers — to represent roughly half of its Data Center business.
The company’s neocloud agreements are designed to help unlock that market. Nvidia’s commitments under the new model totaled $36 billion as of July 26. They typically span six years, and decline as third-party customers, or Nvidia itself, consume capacity.
That creates a potentially powerful feedback loop: Nvidia sells GPUs to expand the customer base, the expanded customer base drives utilization, and Nvidia gets another revenue stream from that utilization.
Why it MattersFor investors, the bigger story is not simply whether Nvidia can keep selling more GPUs. It is whether the company can turn its dominant hardware position into a recurring claim on the broader AI economy.
Watch neocloud utilization, revenue-sharing growth and the expansion of non-hyperscaler demand. If those accelerate, Nvidia’s customer concentration could become less of a weakness — and another source of leverage.
Elon Musk uvedl, že SpaceX by mohla začít v roce 2027 vypouštět na oběžnou dráhu AI počítače poháněné čipy Nvidia. První satelity pro orbitální výpočty plánuje už na příští rok.
Elon Musk says SpaceX could begin launching Nvidia-powered AI computers into orbit next year. Summary
SpaceX plans its first orbital-computing satellites next year
Nvidia Corp. (NVDA, Financials), the semiconductor company whose GPUs dominate AI computing, could soon have customers running its hardware somewhere very different: space.
Elon Musk said he is highly confident SpaceX will begin launching Nvidia-powered AI computers into orbit in 2027.
The systems would use Nvidia's Vera Rubin NVL72 platform, which combines 72 Rubin GPUs with 36 Vera CPUs and advanced networking hardware.
SpaceX has already said it plans to use Nvidia chips exclusively for its computing infrastructure.
The company is targeting its first orbital-computing satellites next year, with significantly larger deployments expected during 2028.
The idea is to modify the same spacecraft platform used for SpaceX's V3 Starlink satellites.
Instead of communications equipment, those satellites would carry computing hardware and additional solar-generation capacity.
That matters because AI companies are increasingly constrained by power, land and data-center capacity on Earth. SpaceX is betting orbit could eventually provide another place to build compute.
For investors, 2027 will be the first meaningful test. If SpaceX can successfully launch and operate Nvidia-powered computing satellites, Nvidia could gain an entirely new infrastructure market while SpaceX moves closer to turning orbital AI from an engineering experiment into a commercial business.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei published an essay on Saturday asking the companies that build the most capable artificial intelligence (AI) models to slow down -- to pace how fast those models improve. Stock futures fell Sunday evening as investors weighed AI safety concerns, with Nasdaq futures falling the most.
Nvidia (NVDA -2.99%) shares had already dropped about 5% last week, to about $218 as of this writing, before the essay came out. The chipmaker's own forecast calls for $108.0 billion of revenue this quarter.
Does a paced frontier change what Nvidia can sell, or only how fast models improve? I read the essay over the weekend. Nothing in it asks anyone to buy fewer chips.
What does the essay ask for?The essay, called "We Must Pace the Frontier," lays out a three-step plan. Frontier AI companies (the handful of labs training the most capable models) would grant third-party evaluators something like employee-level access to verify safety practices and report incidents. Labs in democratic countries would then coordinate on shared safety standards and limits on the pace of unchecked progress. The third step asks governments to bring authoritarian countries into the arrangement. Anthropic says it is committing to the first step unilaterally.
But the plan is about oversight, not buying. Nowhere does the essay tell anyone to cancel a chip order or reduce a capital budget.
"[P]acing does not mean halting model training or technical progress, but ensuring companies take adequate time to align and safeguard their models," Amodei wrote.
And the idea has momentum. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Elon Musk both supported it publicly within a day.
Demand is the part the essay leaves untouchedIn the second quarter of fiscal 2027, a period that ended July 26, Nvidia's revenue more than doubled year over year, totaling $96.2 billion. Data center sales made up $89.0 billion of it, up 117% from a year earlier. Net income grew 126% year over year to $59.7 billion. Management's late-August guide calls for $108.0 billion of fiscal third-quarter revenue, plus or minus 2% -- about 12% above the quarter just reported, and roughly 89% above the $57.0 billion posted in the year-ago period. The growth rate is decelerating, but the dollars keep stepping up.
"Now, compute is revenue. And demand is accelerating," CEO Jensen Huang said in the earnings release, crediting "multiple frontier labs scaling in parallel" as one of the forces behind the build-out.
Notably, frontier labs are precisely the companies the essay is addressed to. If those labs ever paced their spending as Amodei wants them to pace their capabilities, Nvidia would feel it first.
But that isn't what he proposed. Pacing, by the essay's own definition, means taking more time to make models safe -- not halting training.
Anthropic itself is likely the best evidence the two can separate. The company committed to the essay's first step while paying SpaceX about $1.25 billion per month for computing capacity under contracts running through May 2029. The essay's author is one of the industry's biggest buyers of computing power, and nothing he published asks him to stop.
The China zeroThe essay does make one demand about chips. "Do not sell powerful AI chips or semiconductor manufacturing equipment to China, and crack down on chip smuggling operations and remote access to data centers outside China," Amodei wrote.
Put another way, the essay's one instruction on chips is aimed at Washington and the companies doing the selling, not at the labs doing the buying.
That is also the one place Nvidia's forecast already assumes nothing. Management says it is not assuming any data center compute revenue from China in its outlook. The $108.0 billion guide doesn't include a dollar the essay wants blocked.

Of course, the risk isn't zero. The essay floats capping the computing power that goes into training the largest models, and voluntary standards that hardened into mandatory rules could become a headwind for the build-out.
If that ever happened, the demand behind Nvidia's guidance could slow. But a floated idea isn't one of the plan's three steps, and none of those steps asks for smaller orders.
In the end, nothing published over the weekend changes what Nvidia can sell this quarter. The essay asks the frontier labs to be monitored more closely, not to spend less.
Shares trade at about 28 times earnings here -- arguably a modest price for a company guiding for revenue growth of almost 90%. I wouldn't sell Nvidia stock over this essay. If a frontier lab actually cut back its purchases of computing power, I would rethink that.
Nvidia stock NVDA fell nearly 3% on Monday as concerns over the pace of artificial intelligence development triggered a selloff in AI-related equities.
The decline came after executives at major AI companies called for a slower approach to advancing increasingly capable models.
The broader market also weakened, with the S&P 500 falling 0.33%, the Nasdaq Composite declining 0.38% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average losing 0.12%.
The selloff has raised questions over whether investors should buy the dip in Nvidia, wait for further clarity or reduce their exposure to the chipmaker.
Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei called for AI companies to slow the rate at which they advance model capabilities in a lengthy essay published on X on Saturday.
He cited growing concerns about the potential misuse of artificial intelligence.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and xAI chief Elon Musk said they agreed with Amodei's proposal.
Altman also said OpenAI would not proceed with an initial public offering this year, citing safety concerns.
The comments have prompted investors to reassess the rapid expansion of AI development and the substantial spending that has supported demand for advanced computing infrastructure.
A slower pace of AI development could potentially reduce the need for heavy investment in the technology.
That would create a risk for chipmakers such as Nvidia, whose business has benefited from the expansion of AI infrastructure.
Bernstein analysts led by Stacy Rasgon said the developments could further depress sentiment across the semiconductor sector, which had already been recovering after falling roughly 19% from its June peak.
Despite the recent pressure, Bernstein reiterated its Outperform ratings on Nvidia and Broadcom and recommended buying weakness in both stocks.
The analysts argued that a slowdown in the pace of AI development does not necessarily mean a slowdown in spending.
They noted that Amodei had not called for a halt to AI training, but rather a shift from an extremely fast pace to a somewhat slower one.
Bernstein said such a pace could still represent significant growth for the industry. The firm also pointed to rising demand from AI inference and agentic applications.
The analysts noted that there is already insufficient computing capacity to meet demand for even existing AI models, suggesting that infrastructure requirements could remain substantial despite concerns over the pace of model development.
Anthropic's own spending also provides context for the debate.
According to The Information, the company agreed to 14.8 gigawatts of computing capacity involving approximately $517 billion in commitments over the 11 months through August.
The Financial Times also reported that Anthropic expects a second consecutive quarter of adjusted operating profit, with inference gross margins exceeding 80% before distribution costs.
Nvidia has been seeking to reduce its dependence on a small number of major customers by supporting a wider AI ecosystem.
The company has invested in startups and backed open-source AI models, which users can download and modify.
Earlier this month, Nvidia agreed to acquire open-source AI development platform Hugging Face in a $12.9 billion deal, according to the report.
The chipmaker also has customers whose AI ambitions may continue regardless of calls for slower development.
Musk, for example, has said SpaceX is highly confident it will launch Nvidia-powered AI servers in space next year.
SpaceX has previously indicated that it plans to use Nvidia hardware for orbital data centres, potentially addressing some of the land and power constraints facing conventional facilities.
However, the economic viability of orbital data centres remains subject to skepticism.

Nvidia ve fiskálním 2. čtvrtletí 2027 vrátila akcionářům rekordních 26 miliard USD prostřednictvím odkupů akcií a dividend. Firma zároveň zvýšila čtvrtletní dividendu na 0,25 USD na akcii.
Nvidia (NVDA -3.98%) isn't a stock most investors buy for the dividend. Until recently, its payout was so small that its trailing dividend yield sat near 0.02%. But in its fiscal second quarter of 2027, Nvidia returned $26 billion to shareholders through share repurchases and dividends -- including a 25-fold jump in its quarterly dividend to $0.25 per share.
That matters, because Nvidia is starting to send more of the free cash flow it is raking in from the AI data center build-out back to shareholders, even as revenue accelerates. Nvidia could become one of the market's most compelling dividend growth stories.

Nvidia plans to return half of its free cash flow On the fiscal Q2 2027 earnings call in August, CFO Colette Kress said Nvidia plans to return 50% or more of free cash flow, net of strategic uses, through buybacks and dividends. Management didn't spell out "strategic uses," but it likely includes acquisitions, equity investments, and similar uses of excess cash.
Most of that return will probably still come through repurchases. Buybacks reduce shares outstanding, which can lift earnings per share -- and because stocks trade on earnings multiples, that can amplify returns over time.
Over the past five years, Nvidia has reduced its share count by 3.5%, but this new framework could accelerate buybacks. Nvidia repurchased nearly as much stock in fiscal Q2 alone as it bought in all of fiscal 2025 ($33.7 billion). It spend $40 billion on buybacks in fiscal 2026 (ending in January).
The dividend could get more interesting, too. Nvidia generated $127 billion in trailing-12-month free cash flow (the cash left over after operating costs and capital spending). The $6 billion quarterly dividend payment is $24 billion annualized, or 18% of that free cash flow -- and Wall Street expects free cash flow to climb sharply over the next three years.

The dividend could grow proportionately with free cash flow Analysts expect Nvidia's free cash flow to reach $441 billion by fiscal 2029. If the dividend payout stays roughly proportional to free cash flow, the quarterly dividend could rise at least 3x over the next three years to roughly $0.75 per quarter, or $2.25 per year.
Even after the recent increase, Nvidia's forward yield on its current payout is about 0.45% -- not much compared with the S&P 500's 1% yield. But if Nvidia's cash flow expands as analysts expect and it raises the dividend in proportion, the yield on today's share price could approach 1% over the next three years.
This makes Nvidia a compelling dividend growth stock. Nvidia's revenue jumped 106% year over year in fiscal Q2 of 2027. While top cloud companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Alphabet remain major drivers of its revenue, Nvidia also reported a 138% year-over-year increase in revenue from smaller AI start-ups, industrials, and enterprise customers -- a segment that nearly matched revenue from big tech.
Sometimes companies increase their capital returns when they are running out of growth opportunities, but that doesn't seem to be the case for Nvidia. The stepped-up capital returns suggest that management expects sufficient growth to enable it to return a larger share of cash to shareholders. That supports the long-term case for holding the stock.
NVIDIA rozšířila open-source platformu CUDA-Q o CUDA-Q Logical pro návrh a testování odolného vůči chybám kvantového počítání. Fermilab s ní zkrátil vývoj z pěti měsíců na tři týdny.
The NVIDIA CUDA-Q platform now includes the CUDA-Q Logical orchestration layer, giving the quantum industry an open, programmable way to design and test fault-tolerant quantum computing applications in areas such as drug discovery, financial modeling and materials development.Fermilab used CUDA-Q Logical to accelerate fault-tolerant architecture development from five months to three weeks — a 7x speedup.QUOPS is a benchmark for the future of quantum computing, measuring the readiness of fault-tolerant quantum hardware for practical applications. Developed by Sandia National Laboratories, QUOPS is now available in NVIDIA CUDA-Q.
TORONTO, Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NVIDIA today announced an expansion of the NVIDIA CUDA-Q™ open source platform with CUDA-Q Logical, an orchestration layer that provides a programmable, verifiable approach to developing useful applications for fault-tolerant quantum computers.
Fault-tolerant quantum processors with logical qubits are essential for useful quantum computing, allowing systems to overcome the errors inherent in physical qubits so they can execute the larger computations needed for practical applications such as drug discovery, financial modeling and materials development.
However, developing applications for such systems is a tedious, time-consuming codesign challenge: A change to an algorithm, error-correction code, hardware architecture or other QPU component can significantly change the resources needed to run any given application.
With CUDA-Q Logical, researchers can now design and orchestrate the many components required for fault-tolerant quantum computing applications, easily switching between options to identify optimal system configurations for performance with logical qubits.
“Quantum computing is maturing into an era of logical qubits, and researchers need an open, customizable platform capable of representing all aspects of a fault-tolerant system,” said Timothy Costa, vice president and general manager of quantum at NVIDIA. “The addition of CUDA-Q Logical provides power and flexibility to explore fully integrated, co-optimized systems regardless of qubit type and architecture — drastically shortening the timeline to useful quantum-GPU supercomputing.”
CUDA-Q Logical is already being used by QPU makers and labs including Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, Infleqtion, IQM Quantum Computers, QCDesign Quantum Motion and Sandia National Laboratories.
Using CUDA-Q Logical, Iceberg Quantum modeled its fault-tolerant architecture for Diraq’s qubits, showing how 1,000 logical qubits can be created with just 150,000 physical qubits, roughly 10x fewer than Diraq’s previous estimates. CUDA-Q Logical gave an unprecedented way to rapidly assess potential implementations of Iceberg’s architecture, helping dramatically reduce the hardware needed for useful, fault-tolerant quantum computing.
Fermilab Uses CUDA-Q Logical to Explore Fault-Tolerant Applications
In early work, Fermilab researchers used CUDA-Q Logical to validate prior results and evaluate physical qubits, runtimes and other resource requirements across different error-correction approaches and quantum hardware.
Fermilab transformed complicated fault-tolerant system designs into a repeatable and verifiable computational workflow, accelerating fault-tolerant algorithm development from five months to three weeks, a 7x speedup.
“Fault-tolerant quantum computing is the path to unlocking new scientific discovery, but getting there will require researchers to codesign algorithm, error correction, architectures and hardware together,” said Anna Grassellino, chief technology officer at Fermilab and director of the Superconducting Quantum Materials and Systems Center. “Using CUDA-Q Logical, our team explored combinations of these resources in just three weeks, compared with what would have typically taken about five months of building specialized infrastructure.”
Sandia Creates Benchmark for Future of Quantum Computing
QUOPS is a new, independent cross-platform benchmark developed by Sandia National Laboratories that measures the progress quantum computing systems are making toward utility-scale applications.
With Sandia’s QUOPS, the industry now has access to a hardware-agnostic, open method to benchmark progress toward shared goals for fault-tolerant quantum computers. Historically, progress in quantum computing has been measured primarily through advances in physical qubits — increasing qubit counts, improving fidelity and extending coherence.
“At Sandia, we can’t wait to see fault-tolerant quantum computers helping to solve problems of national importance for the Department of Energy and the United States,” said Timothy Proctor, co-director of Sandia National Laboratories’ Quantum Performance Laboratory. “Our mission right now is to bring that about sooner, by accelerating our industry partners’ progress. To do that, we, and other quantum computing stakeholders, have to be able to track and forecast the growth of quantum computer abilities. We created QUOPS to do exactly that, and we’re excited to see it used by quantum computing vendors and customers.”
Sandia shared early results in a preprint posted ahead of IEEE Quantum Week, reporting initial QUOPS benchmarks for QPUs from Google, IBM and Quantinuum. A QUOPS reference implementation is available in NVIDIA CUDA-Q.
Expanding the Quantum-GPU Supercomputing Platform
The ecosystem is also adopting NVIDIA’s larger lineup of quantum computing technologies for turning qubits into useful quantum-GPU supercomputers.
Diraq used NVIDIA Ising, the world’s first family of open models for building and deploying AI for useful quantum computing, to calibrate its silicon-based qubit processor.
Companies are integrating their quantum processors with GPU supercomputing using NVIDIA NVQLink™, the open system architecture for tightly coupling quantum processors with GPU supercomputers. With NVQLink:
Anyon Computing developed a new quantum control system.Quandela developed a QPU-GPU architecture.Quantum Machines ran a demo of integrating state-of-the-art supercomputing resources with qubits at the Israeli Quantum Computing Center.
The NVIDIA CUDA-Q open development platform continues to be adopted across the quantum computing ecosystem:
BlueQubit launched the Quantum Flywheel grant program for researchers, to give them access to NVIDIA accelerated computing through CUDA-Q.Qedma Quantum Computing and QCentroid each integrated their technology with CUDA-Q to support quantum error correction and mitigation, as well as the deployment of quantum applications. The quantum ecosystem is also working with NVIDIA to develop new and improved quantum applications:
IonQ announced progress on DQAOA-GPT, a quantum generative AI framework, using NVIDIA accelerated computing.MITRE published work on building GPU-accelerated digital twins of quantum sensors.Phasecraft is using NVIDIA cuQuantum to generate the largest-known variational quantum eigensolver emulated molecular database.UCLA and Caltech are advancing the design of control sequences needed to run quantum applications.
