AVAV Shareholder Alert: July 27, 2026 Lead Plaintiff Deadline in AeroVironment, Inc. Securities Class Action - Contact Levi & Korsinsky
AVAV AeroVironment
FMP Stock News
Original source text
NEW YORK, July 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Levi & Korsinsky, LLP notifies investors in AeroVironment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVAV) that a class action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of shareholders who purchased securities between June 25, 2025 and March 10, 2026. Find out if you qualify to recover losses. You may also contact Joseph E. Levi, Esq. at [email protected] or (212) 363-7500.

Shares declined approximately 15.77%, 17.42%, and 6.42% across after successive revelations that the U.S. Space Force was abandoning its single-vendor acquisition strategy in favor of multi-vendor, commercial off-the-shelf solutions and ultimately terminated its contract with AeroVironment.

The U.S. Space Force's Satellite Control Network comprises 19 fixed antennas across the globe, infrastructure a 2023 Government Accountability Office report described as "aging and difficult to maintain." AeroVironment staked its post-acquisition growth story on a $1.7 billion contract to modernize that network through its BADGER phased array antenna systems. Investors who purchased AVAV securities between June 25, 2025 and March 10, 2026 watched that story unravel across three corrective disclosures, with shares falling from pre-drop price of $392.86 to a low of $207.73 following a third corrective disclosure.

The Alleged Single-Vendor Contract Vulnerability

The lawsuit contends that AeroVironment's $4.1 billion acquisition of BlueHalo in May 2025 was premised in significant part on the value of the SCAR contract. BlueHalo had originally been awarded a $1.4 billion contract for the SCAR program, later increased to $1.7 billion. The bespoke, single-vendor nature of this arrangement meant AeroVironment's space segment growth depended on continued sole-source status with the Space Force.

According to the lawsuit, management knew it was working "shoulder to shoulder" with the customer yet failed to disclose that the Space Force was actively reassessing whether a single-vendor bespoke approach remained viable for modernizing the SCN.

How the SCAR Contract Risk Allegedly Affected Reported Financial Prospects

Approximately $1.5 billion of AeroVironment's $3 billion unfunded backlog was attributable to the SCAR programThe Company's space division recorded a $151.3 million goodwill impairment after a reevaluation triggered by the stop work orderThe reevaluation reduced the acquisition-date value of the acquired space business by approximately 17%Fiscal year 2026 revenue guidance was lowered from $1.95-$2.0 billion to $1.85-$1.95 billionThird-quarter operating losses ballooned to $179.0 million from $3.1 million in the year-ago periodThe Space Force ultimately terminated the contract for convenience, forcing AeroVironment to "recompete" The Bespoke Solution Factor

The complaint alleges that the fundamental risk embedded in AeroVironment's SCAR position was structural. The BADGER system was a bespoke product designed to the Space Force's specifications under a single-vendor contract. When the customer shifted toward diversifying suppliers and adopting less costly commercial off-the-shelf solutions, AeroVironment's entire competitive position evaporated. The lawsuit contends management was aware of this vulnerability given its close communication with the Space Force yet continued to characterize SCAR as a locked-in growth engine.

"This case presents important questions about single-vendor contract disclosure obligations in the defense technology sector. When a company's growth narrative depends on the continuation of a sole-source government contract, investors deserve to know about material risks to that arrangement." -- Joseph E. Levi, Esq.

Here's Why Principal Financial (PFG) is a Strong Momentum Stock
PFG Principal Financial Group

Taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals for new and old investors, and Zacks Premium offers many different ways to do both.

Featuring daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, full access to the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens, the research service can help you become a smarter, more self-assured investor.

Zacks Premium also includes the Zacks Style Scores.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? Developed alongside the Zacks Rank, the Zacks Style Scores are a group of complementary indicators that help investors pick stocks with the best chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.

Each stock is given an alphabetic rating of A, B, C, D or F based on their value, growth, and momentum qualities. With this system, an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on, meaning the better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform.

The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:

Value ScoreValue investors love finding good stocks at good prices, especially before the broader market catches on to a stock's true value. Utilizing ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and many other multiples, the Value Style Score identifies the most attractive and most discounted stocks.

Growth ScoreWhile good value is important, growth investors are more focused on a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score takes projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow into account to uncover stocks that will see long-term, sustainable growth.

Momentum ScoreMomentum investors, who live by the saying "the trend is your friend," are most interested in taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Utilizing one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, among other factors, the Momentum Style Score can help determine favorable times to buy high-momentum stocks.

VGM ScoreIf you want a combination of all three Style Scores, then the VGM Score will be your friend. It rates each stock on their combined weighted styles, helping you find the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum. It's also one of the best indicators to use with the Zacks Rank.

How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank The Zacks Rank is a proprietary stock-rating model that harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings expectations, to help investors build a successful portfolio.

It's highly successful, with #1 (Strong Buy) stocks producing an unmatched +23.94% average annual return since 1988. That's more than double the S&P 500. But because of the large number of stocks we rate, there are over 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, plus another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.

But it can feel overwhelming to pick the right stocks for you and your investing goals with over 800 top-rated stocks to choose from.

That's where the Style Scores come in.

To maximize your returns, you want to buy stocks with the highest probability of success. This means picking stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B. If you find yourself looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, make sure they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.

The direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should always be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy, since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank.

Here's an example: a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one with Style Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings outlook, and a bigger chance its share price will decrease too.

Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

Two analysts revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days for fiscal 2026. The Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.09 to $9.40 per share. PFG boasts an average earnings surprise of +1.7%.

Principal Financial (PFG) Earnings Expected to Grow: Should You Buy?
PFG Principal Financial Group
FMP Stock News
Original source text
The market expects Principal Financial (PFG - Free Report) to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook is important in assessing the company's earnings picture, but a powerful factor that might influence its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.

The stock might move higher if these key numbers top expectations in the upcoming earnings report, which is expected to be released on July 27. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.

While the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call, it's worth handicapping the probability of a positive EPS surprise.

Zacks Consensus EstimateThis financial services company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $2.32 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +7.4%.

Revenues are expected to be $4.11 billion, up 11.4% from the year-ago quarter.

Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 0.88% higher over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.

Investors should keep in mind that an aggregate change may not always reflect the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts.

Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise

Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. This insight is at the core of our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction).

The Zacks Earnings ESP compares the Most Accurate Estimate to the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the quarter; the Most Accurate Estimate is a more recent version of the Zacks Consensus EPS estimate. The idea here is that analysts revising their estimates right before an earnings release have the latest information, which could potentially be more accurate than what they and others contributing to the consensus had predicted earlier.

Thus, a positive or negative Earnings ESP reading theoretically indicates the likely deviation of the actual earnings from the consensus estimate. However, the model's predictive power is significant for positive ESP readings only.

A positive Earnings ESP is a strong predictor of an earnings beat, particularly when combined with a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold). Our research shows that stocks with this combination produce a positive surprise nearly 70% of the time, and a solid Zacks Rank actually increases the predictive power of Earnings ESP.

Please note that a negative Earnings ESP reading is not indicative of an earnings miss. Our research shows that it is difficult to predict an earnings beat with any degree of confidence for stocks with negative Earnings ESP readings and/or Zacks Rank of 4 (Sell) or 5 (Strong Sell).

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Principal Financial? For Principal Financial, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +0.29%.

On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.

So, this combination indicates that Principal Financial will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate.

Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue?Analysts often consider to what extent a company has been able to match consensus estimates in the past while calculating their estimates for its future earnings. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.

For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Principal Financial would post earnings of $2.01 per share when it actually produced earnings of $2.07, delivering a surprise of +2.99%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates two times.

Bottom LineAn earnings beat or miss may not be the sole basis for a stock moving higher or lower. Many stocks end up losing ground despite an earnings beat due to other factors that disappoint investors. Similarly, unforeseen catalysts help a number of stocks gain despite an earnings miss.

That said, betting on stocks that are expected to beat earnings expectations does increase the odds of success. This is why it's worth checking a company's Earnings ESP and Zacks Rank ahead of its quarterly release. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.

Principal Financial appears a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

Expected Results of an Industry PlayerAnother stock from the Zacks Insurance - Multi line industry, Goosehead Insurance (GSHD - Free Report) , is soon expected to post earnings of $0.52 per share for the quarter ended June 2026. This estimate indicates a year-over-year change of +6.1%. Revenues for the quarter are expected to be $103.36 million, up 9.9% from the year-ago quarter.

The consensus EPS estimate for Goosehead has been revised 1.3% lower over the last 30 days to the current level. However, a higher Most Accurate Estimate has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +0.96%.

When combined with a Zacks Rank of #3 (Hold), this Earnings ESP indicates that Goosehead will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate. Over the last four quarters, the company surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times.

Each stock is given an alphabetic rating of A, B, C, D or F based on their value, growth, and momentum qualities. With this system, an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on, meaning the better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform.

VGM ScoreWhat if you like to use all three types of investing? The VGM Score is a combination of all Style Scores, making it one of the most comprehensive indicators to use with the Zacks Rank. It rates each stock on their combined weighted styles, which helps narrow down the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum.

That's where the Style Scores come in.

You want to make sure you're buying stocks with the highest likelihood of success, and to do that, you'll need to pick stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B. If you like a stock that only has a #3 (Hold) rank, it should also have Scores of A or B to guarantee as much upside potential as possible.

Since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank, the direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy.

A stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, for instance, even one with Scores of A and B, will still have a declining earnings forecast, and a greater chance its share price will fall too.

Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

Stock to Watch: Fox (FOXA - Free Report) Headquartered in New York, Fox Corporation is a news, sports and entertainment content provider. It became a standalone, publicly-traded company on Mar 19, 2019, following the merger of Disney and Twenty-First Century Fox, Inc.

FOXA is a #2 (Buy) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of B.

It also boasts a Value Style Score of B thanks to attractive valuation metrics like a forward P/E ratio of 10.03; value investors should take notice.

For fiscal 2026, two analysts revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days, and the Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.06 to $4.94 per share. FOXA boasts an average earnings surprise of +43%.

Cerebras is an artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure company that designs and manufactures AI compute platforms including processors and data centers. On or around May 14, 2026, Cerebras conducted an initial public offering ("IPO"), selling 30 million shares of Class A common stock at an offer price of $185 per share.

On June 23, 2026, after market close, Cerebras announced in a press release financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026 and outlook for the second quarter of fiscal year 2026. During the subsequent earnings call, the Chief Financial Officer stated that "[f]or the rest of 2026, in order to accelerate our ability to service the significant near-term demand in our contracted backlog, we've chosen to make more capacity available sooner by temporarily renting our own systems back from an existing customer while we aggressively build out and deploy our own data center capacity. The additional cost of renting third-party capacity will depress core cloud and other services margin temporarily from current levels. We expect the impact to be a decrease of 10 to 15 margin points based on the volumes we are now anticipating before beginning to [ramp back] towards our target margin of 60% plus as we transition away from our rented systems."

Following this news, the price of Cerebras stock declined from a closing price on June 23, 2026 of $226.72 to close at $182.26 per share on June 24, 2026, a decline of $44.26 per share, or by 19.61%.

Why CBRE Group (CBRE) is a Top Stock for the Long-Term
CBRE CBRE Group
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Here at Zacks, we offer our members many different opportunities to take full advantage of the stock market, as well as how to invest in ways that lead to long-term success.

The Zacks Premium service, which provides daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank; full access to the Zacks #1 Rank List; Equity Research reports; and Premium stock screens like the Earnings ESP filter, makes these more manageable goals. All of the features can help you identify what stocks to buy, what to sell, and what are today's hottest industries.

It also includes the Focus List, a long-term portfolio of top stocks that have all the elements to beat the market.

Breaking Down the Zacks Focus ListIf you could get access to a curated list of stocks to kickstart your investment portfolio, wouldn't you jump at the chance to take a peek?

That's what the Zacks Focus List, a portfolio of 50 stocks, offers investors. Not only does it serve as a starting point for long-term investors, but all stocks included in the list are poised to outperform the market over the next 12 months.

Additionally, each selection is accompanied by a full Zacks Analyst Report, something that makes the Focus List even more valuable. The report explains in detail why each stock was picked and why we believe it's good for the long-term.

The portfolio's past performance only solidifies why investors should consider it as a starting point. For 2020, the Focus List gained 13.85% on an annualized basis compared to the S&P 500's return of 9.38%. Cumulatively, the portfolio has returned 2,519.23% while the S&P returned 854.95%. Returns are for the period of February 1, 1996 to March 31, 2021.

Focus List MethodologyWhen stocks are picked for the Focus List, it reflects our enduring reliance on the power of earnings estimate revisions.

Earnings estimates, or expectations of growth and profitability, come from brokerage analysts who track publicly traded companies; these analysts work together with company management to analyze every aspect that may affect future earnings, like interest rates, the economy, and sector and industry optimism.

What a company will earn down the road also needs to be taken into consideration, and this is why earnings estimate revisions are so important.

Stocks that receive upward earnings estimate revisions are more likely to receive even more upward changes in the future. For example, if an analyst raised their estimates last month, they're more likely to do it again this month, and other analysts are likely to do the same.

Harnessing the power of earnings estimate revisions is where the Zacks Rank comes in. The Zacks Rank, which is a unique, proprietary stock-rating model, employs earnings estimate revisions to make it easier to build a winning portfolio.

The Zacks Rank consists of four main pillars: Agreement, Magnitude, Upside, and Surprise. Each one is given a raw score, which is recalculated every night and compiled into the Rank. Then, stocks are classified into five groups, ranging from "Strong Buy" to "Strong Sell," using this data.

The Focus List is comprised of stocks hand-picked from a long list of #1 (Strong Buy) or #2 (Buy) ranked companies, meaning that each new addition boasts a bullish earnings consensus among analysts.

Because stock prices react to revisions, buying stocks with rising earnings estimates can be very profitable. Focus List stocks offer investors a great opportunity to get into companies whose future earnings estimates will be raised, potentially leading to price momentum.

CBRE also operates an investment management business and a real estate development business under its Real Estate Investments segment.

For fiscal 2026, three analysts revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days, and the Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.19 to $7.75. CBRE boasts an average earnings surprise of 17%.

Wall Street Analysts Predict a 25.8% Upside in CBRE (CBRE): Here's What You Should Know
CBRE CBRE Group
FMP Stock News
Original source text
CBRE Group (CBRE - Free Report) closed the last trading session at $140.96, gaining 7.2% over the past four weeks, but there could be plenty of upside left in the stock if short-term price targets set by Wall Street analysts are any guide. The mean price target of $177.33 indicates a 25.8% upside potential.

The mean estimate comprises 12 short-term price targets with a standard deviation of $13.96. While the lowest estimate of $149.00 indicates a 5.7% increase from the current price level, the most optimistic analyst expects the stock to surge 41.9% to reach $200.00. It's very important to note the standard deviation here, as it helps understand the variability of the estimates. The smaller the standard deviation, the greater the agreement among analysts.

While the consensus price target is a much-coveted metric for investors, solely banking on this metric to make an investment decision may not be wise at all. That's because the ability and unbiasedness of analysts in setting price targets have long been questionable.

But, for CBRE, an impressive average price target is not the only indicator of a potential upside. Strong agreement among analysts about the company's ability to report better earnings than they predicted earlier strengthens this view. While a positive trend in earnings estimate revisions doesn't gauge how much a stock could gain, it has proven to be powerful in predicting an upside.

Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise

Here's What You Should Know About Analysts' Price TargetsAccording to researchers at several universities across the globe, a price target is one of many pieces of information about a stock that misleads investors far more often than it guides. In fact, empirical research shows that price targets set by several analysts, irrespective of the extent of agreement, rarely indicate where the price of a stock could actually be heading.

While Wall Street analysts have deep knowledge of a company's fundamentals and the sensitivity of its business to economic and industry issues, many of them tend to set overly optimistic price targets. Are you wondering why?

They usually do that to drum up interest in shares of companies that their firms either have existing business relationships with or are looking to be associated with. In other words, business incentives of firms covering a stock often result in inflated price targets set by analysts.

However, a tight clustering of price targets, which is represented by a low standard deviation, indicates that analysts have a high degree of agreement about the direction and magnitude of a stock's price movement. While that doesn't necessarily mean the stock will hit the average price target, it could be a good starting point for further research aimed at identifying the potential fundamental driving forces.

That said, while investors should not entirely ignore price targets, making an investment decision solely based on them could lead to disappointing ROI. So, price targets should always be treated with a high degree of skepticism.

Why CBRE Could Witness a Solid UpsideAnalysts' growing optimism over the company's earnings prospects, as indicated by strong agreement among them in revising EPS estimates higher, could be a legitimate reason to expect an upside in the stock. That's because empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current year has increased 1.3% over the past month, as two estimates have gone higher compared to no negative revision.

Moreover, CBRE currently has a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), which means it is in the top 20% of more than 4,000 stocks that we rank based on four factors related to earnings estimates. Given an impressive externally-audited track record, this is a more conclusive indication of the stock's potential upside in the near term. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>> .

Therefore, while the consensus price target may not be a reliable indicator of how much CBRE could gain, the direction of price movement it implies does appear to be a good guide.

Gold: Fed risks and Dollar strength cap upside – TD Securities FMP Forex News
Original source text
TD Securities’ commodity strategists, led by Bart Melek, note that Gold investors have sharply reduced long exposure as higher Oil prices from the US‑Iran conflict threaten recent disinflation progress. With markets increasingly pricing a late‑2026 Fed hike, higher carry and opportunity costs alongside a firmer US Dollar are expected to keep Gold near support around $3,900/oz, with speculative length likely to erode further.

Higher yields weigh on bullion positioning"Gold investors aggressively cut their long exposure as it became apparent that the escalating US-Iran conflict will continue to keep oil prices at very elevated levels, which is set to reverse recent progress made on inflation."

"With the energy complex likely driving aggregate prices higher in the coming months, the market is increasingly pricing a Fed hike towards the end of the year."

"The resulting increase in carry costs, yield-driven opportunity costs and a firming US dollar will likely keep gold prices near support at $3,900/oz."

"Money managers have also reduced their long silver exposure, which will apply downward pressure on prices due to weakening industrial and investment demand."

"As such, both silver and gold length are likely to erode for now."

Canadian Dollar Forecast: Cool CPI Prompts a USD/CAD Bounce Off 50-Day EMA Support
USDCAD USD/CAD
FMP Forex News
Original source text
USD/CAD Key Points Canadian inflation cooled more sharply than expected in June, easing concerns that the recent energy-driven increase was spreading across the broader economy. Headline CPI slowed to 2.8% y/y from 3.2% in May; Excluding gasoline, inflation held steady at 2.2% y/y. USD/CAD remains near a 1-month low, but a possible bullish engulfing candlestick pattern that would strengthen the argument for a near-term bottom.

A week after a similarly below-expectation report from the US, Canadian inflation cooled more sharply than expected in June, easing concerns that the recent energy-driven increase was spreading across the broader economy. Headline CPI slowed to 2.8% y/y from 3.2% in May, while prices fell -0.4% m/m. On a seasonally adjusted basis, CPI declined -0.1%.

The slowdown was largely driven by gasoline, which fell -10.2% from May as global oil prices retreated. Gasoline remained 20.5% more expensive than a year earlier, but that was well below May’s 33.2% increase. Excluding gasoline, inflation held steady at 2.2% y/y.

The underlying details were also encouraging. The Bank of Canada’s preferred CPI-trim and CPI-median measures eased to 1.8% and 1.9%, respectively, leaving their average below the 2% target. Grocery inflation remained relatively firm at 3.9%, while World Cup-related demand pushed accommodation and air travel prices sharply higher. However, those increases were concentrated rather than widespread and are likely to dissipate soon with the tournament wrapping up this weekend.

For the Bank of Canada, the report supports the view that higher energy costs have not generated significant second-round inflation yet. With economic growth beginning to recover, the most likely outcome remains an extended hold at 2.25%, assuming oil prices stabilize and core inflation stays contained, though energy volatility from the ongoing conflict in Iran could still have a spillover impact on Canada’s oil-dependent economy in the coming months.

Canadian Dollar Technical Analysis: USD/CAD Daily Chart

Source: Tradingview, StoneX

From a technical perspective, USD/CAD is bouncing from support at its 50-day EMA near 1.4025, helped along by this morning’s softer-than-anticipated Canadian data. The North American pair remains near a 1-month low, but the combination of a BOC in stasis and the potential for safe-haven demand for the US dollar amid the re-escalating Iranian conflict could boost the pair as we move through the week. Current price action is showing a possible bullish engulfing candlestick pattern that would strengthen the argument for a near-term bottom.

Looking ahead, previous-support-turned-resistance at 1.4130 is the next level of resistance to watch before the 1+ year highs in the low-1.4200s, whereas a break below the 50-day EMA near 1.4020 could target the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement of the May-July rally below 1.4000.

Why Albertsons Companies, Inc. (ACI) is a Top Value Stock for the Long-Term
ACI Albertsons Companies
FMP Stock News
Original source text
It doesn't matter your age or experience: taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals for all investors. Luckily, Zacks Premium offers several different ways to do both.

The popular research service can help you become a smarter, more self-assured investor, giving you access to daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens.

Zacks Premium includes access to the Zacks Style Scores as well.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores, developed alongside the Zacks Rank, are complementary indicators that rate stocks based on three widely-followed investing methodologies; they also help investors pick stocks with the best chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.

Based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics, each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F. The better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform; an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on.

The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:

Value ScoreFor value investors, it's all about finding good stocks at good prices, and discovering which companies are trading under their true value before the broader market catches on. The Value Style Score utilizes ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and a host of other multiples to help pick out the most attractive and discounted stocks.

Growth ScoreGrowth investors are more concerned with a stock's future prospects, and the overall financial health and strength of a company. Thus, the Growth Style Score analyzes characteristics like projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks that will see sustainable growth over time.

VGM ScoreIf you like to use all three kinds of investing, then the VGM Score is for you. It's a combination of all Style Scores, and is an important indicator to use with the Zacks Rank. The VGM Score rates each stock on their shared weighted styles, narrowing down the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum.

How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank A proprietary stock-rating model, the Zacks Rank utilizes the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings outlook, to help investors create a successful portfolio.

#1 (Strong Buy) stocks have produced an unmatched +23.94% average annual return since 1988, which is more than double the S&P 500's performance over the same time frame. However, the Zacks Rank examines a ton of stocks, and there can be more than 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, and another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.

This totals more than 800 top-rated stocks, and it can be overwhelming to try and pick the best stocks for you and your portfolio.

Since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank, the direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy.

For instance, a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one that boasts Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings forecast, and a much greater likelihood its share price will decline as well.

Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

Stock to Watch: Albertsons Companies, Inc. (ACI - Free Report) Headquartered in Boise, ID, Albertsons Companies, Inc. is one of the largest food and drug retailers in the United States. The company operates food and drug retail stores that offer grocery products, general merchandise, health and beauty care products, pharmacy, fuel and other items and services. Albertsons went public on June 26, 2020.

ACI is a #3 (Hold) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of A.

It also boasts a Value Style Score of A thanks to attractive valuation metrics like a forward P/E ratio of 6.69; value investors should take notice.

One analyst revised their earnings estimate higher in the last 60 days for fiscal 2027, while the Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.00 to $2.26 per share. ACI also boasts an average earnings surprise of +8.9%.

With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Value and VGM Style Scores, ACI should be on investors' short list.

Should Value Investors Buy Par Pacific (PARR) Stock?
PARR Par Pacific Holdings
FMP Stock News
Original source text
While the proven Zacks Rank places an emphasis on earnings estimates and estimate revisions to find strong stocks, we also know that investors tend to develop their own individual strategies. With this in mind, we are always looking at value, growth, and momentum trends to discover great companies.

Looking at the history of these trends, perhaps none is more beloved than value investing. This strategy simply looks to identify companies that are being undervalued by the broader market. Value investors use a variety of methods, including tried-and-true valuation metrics, to find these stocks.

On top of the Zacks Rank, investors can also look at our innovative Style Scores system to find stocks with specific traits. For example, value investors will want to focus on the "Value" category. Stocks with high Zacks Ranks and "A" grades for Value will be some of the highest-quality value stocks on the market today.

Par Pacific (PARR - Free Report) is a stock many investors are watching right now. PARR is currently sporting a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), as well as an A grade for Value.

We should also highlight that PARR has a P/B ratio of 1.57. Investors use the P/B ratio to look at a stock's market value versus its book value, which is defined as total assets minus total liabilities. This stock's P/B looks attractive against its industry's average P/B of 2.82. Within the past 52 weeks, PARR's P/B has been as high as 1.63 and as low as 0.58, with a median of 0.80.

Value investors also use the P/S ratio. The P/S ratio is calculated as price divided by sales. This is a preferred metric because revenue can't really be manipulated, so sales are often a truer performance indicator. PARR has a P/S ratio of 0.51. This compares to its industry's average P/S of 0.64.

These are just a handful of the figures considered in Par Pacific's great Value grade. Still, they help show that the stock is likely being undervalued at the moment. Add this to the strength of its earnings outlook, and we can clearly see that PARR is an impressive value stock right now.

Earnings Preview: F5 Networks (FFIV) Q3 Earnings Expected to Decline
FFIV F5 Networks
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Wall Street expects a year-over-year decline in earnings on higher revenues when F5 Networks (FFIV - Free Report) reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. While this widely-known consensus outlook is important in gauging the company's earnings picture, a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.

The earnings report, which is expected to be released on July 27, might help the stock move higher if these key numbers are better than expectations. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.

While management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call will mostly determine the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations, it's worth having a handicapping insight into the odds of a positive EPS surprise.

Zacks Consensus EstimateThis computer networking company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $3.98 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of -4.3%.

Revenues are expected to be $832.12 million, up 6.6% from the year-ago quarter.

Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has remained unchanged over the last 30 days.

Our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) -- has this insight at its core.

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for F5?For F5, the Most Accurate Estimate is lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bearish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -0.83%.

On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.

So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that F5 will beat the consensus EPS estimate.

Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.

For the last reported quarter, it was expected that F5 would post earnings of $3.47 per share when it actually produced earnings of $3.90, delivering a surprise of +12.39%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates four times.

F5 doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

Stay on top of upcoming earnings announcements with the Zacks Earnings Calendar.

Leadership Vacuum

On June 1, 2026, Verra Mobility announced that long-time CEO David Roberts has abruptly stepped down, ending a 12-year tenure. This departure follows a volatile period for the company, initiated by the unexpected termination of a key contract with Avis Budget Group—a move that wiped out approximately $1.4 billion in shareholder value.

The Board of Directors has appointed former Chief Transformation and Legal Officer Jon Keyser as interim President and CEO while retaining a global search firm for a permanent replacement. Hagens Berman is investigating whether the departure is causally related to the allegations in the securities class action suit.

Verra Mobility Corporation (VRRM) Securities Class Action:

The complaint alleges Verra made false and misleading statements and did not disclose important information to investors about the true state of the Verra/Avis relationship and the likelihood of Verra receiving an Avis contract renewal.

The truth allegedly emerged on May 26, 2026, when Verra disclosed that it received a termination notice effective September 2026 from Avis regarding the companies’ contract, that it is taking immediate actions to cut costs, adapt operations, and reposition its business, and revised its 2026 outlook that significantly deviated from that given just twenty days prior.

Verra also revealed that it was reviewing the parties’ negotiations and handling of confidential information.

The news promptly sent the price of Verra shares 70% crashing lower on May 27, 2026, amputating $1.4 billion from the company’s market capitalization in a single day.

View our latest video summary of the allegations: youtu.be/FVEw5XACoGA

“Our investigation is focused on the extent to which and when Verra and its executives knew that renegotiations with Avis were far from constructive, as the May 26 surprise reveals,” said Reed Kathrein, the Hagens Berman partner leading the firm’s investigation.

Management issued 2026 guidance calling for total revenue of $1.02 billion to $1.03 billion. On the accompanying earnings call, the Company described Commercial Services as a "durable cash-generative business with clear competitive advantage" and projected mid-single-digit segment growth for the year ahead.

March 3, 2026: Contract Renewal Risks Dismissed at Investor Conference

At the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference, the Company addressed customer concentration and renewal questions directly. The securities action alleges management described an "impeccable track record" of retaining RAC customers and characterized in-sourcing risk as minimal due to the complexity of tolling operations across 54 different toll authorities. Discussions with Avis Budget Group were described as routine.

March 17, 2026: In-House Replacement Concerns Minimized Again

At the JPMorgan Industrial Conference, the Company reiterated 10-plus-year customer relationships and deep systems integration with rental car operators. The complaint contends that management again minimized the possibility that RAC customers could replace Verra with in-house capabilities.

May 6, 2026: Guidance Reaffirmed Despite "Short-Term Extension" Disclosure

Verra reaffirmed all 2026 guidance measures. For the first time, the Company disclosed that its significant customer relationship representing over 10% of revenue was operating under a "short-term contract extension." Negotiations were described as "ongoing and constructive." The lawsuit asserts this characterization was misleading given the proximity of termination.

May 26, 2026: Avis Terminates, Stock Collapses 71%

After the market closed, Verra announced it received a termination notice from Avis Budget Group, effective September 2026. Management slashed guidance by $35 million in revenue at the midpoint. Shares fell from $13.08 to $3.85 the following trading day.

Frequently Asked Questions About the VRRM Lawsuit

Q: When did Verra Mobility allegedly mislead investors? A: The class period runs from February 24, 2026 to May 26, 2026. The alleged fraud was revealed through corrective disclosures on May 26, 2026, causing a significant stock decline.

Q: How much did VRRM stock drop? A: Shares fell approximately 71%, a decline of $9.23 per share, after the Company disclosed the Avis Budget Group contract termination and lowered its 2026 full-year financial outlook.

Q: What is a lead plaintiff and why does it matter? A: A lead plaintiff is the investor appointed by the court to represent the entire class. Lead plaintiffs are typically investors with the largest documented losses. Being appointed does not increase individual recovery but gives direct oversight of how the case is run.

Q: What does it cost me to participate? A: Nothing. Securities class actions are handled on a pure contingency basis. No upfront fees, no retainer, no out-of-pocket costs.

Q: What if I already sold my VRRM shares -- can I still recover losses? A: Yes. Eligibility is based on when you purchased, not whether you still hold them. Investors who bought during the class period and sold at a loss may still participate.

Q: What documents do I need to make a claim? A: Brokerage statements or trade confirmations showing purchase dates, share quantities, prices paid, and any subsequent sale dates and prices.

ZNTL Stock Rises 28% in 3 Months: What's Driving the Rally?
ZNTL Zentalis Pharmaceuticals
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Zentalis advanced azenosertib with pivotal studies targeting cyclin E1-positive PROC.ZNTL expects DENALI enrollment completion and topline data by the end of 2026 to support approval efforts.Zentalis is expanding azenosertib into combination studies and additional tumor types, including TNBC. Zentalis Pharmaceuticals'(ZNTL - Free Report) shares have gained 28% over the past three months, fueled by investor optimism surrounding its lead oncology candidate, azenosertib.

Azenosertib Drives ZNTL's Ovarian Cancer PushAzenosertib is Zentalis’ potential first-in-class WEE1 inhibitor being developed as a biomarker-driven oral therapy for ovarian cancer and additional tumor types. Based on interim data from part 2a, which demonstrated a favorable benefit-risk profile, Zentalis selected the 400 mg once-daily, 5-days-on/2-days-off (400 mg QD 5:2) regimen in April as the pivotal dose for azenosertib monotherapy for its registration-intended DENALI phase II clinical program to treat patients with cyclin E1-positive platinum-resistant ovarian cancer (PROC).

Management expects to complete enrollment across all DENALI part 2 cohorts and announce top-line data by the end of 2026, which could support an accelerated approval pathway, subject to positive data and FDA feedback.

Further supporting its regulatory strategy, Zentalis dosed the first patient in the phase III ASPENOVA confirmatory study in May. The study compares azenosertib monotherapy with the investigator's choice of standard-of-care chemotherapy in patients with cyclin E1-positive PROC and is designed to support the full FDA approval and potential global regulatory filings.

The FDA granted previously Fast Track Designation to azenosertib for the treatment of patients with cyclin E1-positive PROC.

Year to date, Zentalis shares have skyrocketed 278.5% compared with the industry’s 3% growth.

Broadening Pipeline Boosts ZNTL's ProspectsBeyond its pivotal monotherapy program, the ongoing multi-part phase Ib MUIR study is evaluating azenosertib-based combination therapies in ovarian cancer to expand the candidate's potential beyond monotherapy. While part one is assessing azenosertib in combination with multiple chemotherapy regimens in patients with PROC, the currently enrolling part two dose-expansion cohort is evaluating azenosertib plus bevacizumab as a maintenance therapy for patients with second-line platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer whose disease progressed during first-line PARP inhibitor maintenance therapy.

Encouraging preclinical data showed that azenosertib combinations demonstrated activity in ADC-resistant triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), supporting its expansion beyond ovarian cancer.

Wall Street Bulls Look Optimistic About Eaton (ETN): Should You Buy?
ETN Eaton Corporation
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Investors often turn to recommendations made by Wall Street analysts before making a Buy, Sell, or Hold decision about a stock. While media reports about rating changes by these brokerage-firm employed (or sell-side) analysts often affect a stock's price, do they really matter?

Let's take a look at what these Wall Street heavyweights have to say about Eaton (ETN - Free Report) before we discuss the reliability of brokerage recommendations and how to use them to your advantage.

Eaton currently has an average brokerage recommendation (ABR) of 1.56, on a scale of 1 to 5 (Strong Buy to Strong Sell), calculated based on the actual recommendations (Buy, Hold, Sell, etc.) made by 25 brokerage firms. An ABR of 1.56 approximates between Strong Buy and Buy.

Of the 25 recommendations that derive the current ABR, 17 are Strong Buy and two are Buy. Strong Buy and Buy respectively account for 68% and 8% of all recommendations.

Brokerage Recommendation Trends for ETN

Check price target & stock forecast for Eaton here>>>

The ABR suggests buying Eaton, but making an investment decision solely on the basis of this information might not be a good idea. According to several studies, brokerage recommendations have little to no success guiding investors to choose stocks with the most potential for price appreciation.

Are you wondering why? The vested interest of brokerage firms in a stock they cover often results in a strong positive bias of their analysts in rating it. Our research shows that for every "Strong Sell" recommendation, brokerage firms assign five "Strong Buy" recommendations.

This means that the interests of these institutions are not always aligned with those of retail investors, giving little insight into the direction of a stock's future price movement. It would therefore be best to use this information to validate your own analysis or a tool that has proven to be highly effective at predicting stock price movements.

With an impressive externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool, the Zacks Rank, which classifies stocks into five groups, ranging from Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) to Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell), is a reliable indicator of a stock's near-term price performance. So, validating the Zacks Rank with ABR could go a long way in making a profitable investment decision.

ABR Should Not Be Confused With Zacks RankAlthough both Zacks Rank and ABR are displayed in a range of 1--5, they are different measures altogether.

Broker recommendations are the sole basis for calculating the ABR, which is typically displayed in decimals (such as 1.28). The Zacks Rank, on the other hand, is a quantitative model designed to harness the power of earnings estimate revisions. It is displayed in whole numbers -- 1 to 5.

It has been and continues to be the case that analysts employed by brokerage firms are overly optimistic with their recommendations. Because of their employers' vested interests, these analysts issue more favorable ratings than their research would support, misguiding investors far more often than helping them.

On the other hand, earnings estimate revisions are at the core of the Zacks Rank. And empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements.

Furthermore, the different grades of the Zacks Rank are applied proportionately across all stocks for which brokerage analysts provide earnings estimates for the current year. In other words, at all times, this tool maintains a balance among the five ranks it assigns.

There is also a key difference between the ABR and Zacks Rank when it comes to freshness. When you look at the ABR, it may not be up-to-date. Nonetheless, since brokerage analysts constantly revise their earnings estimates to reflect changing business trends, and their actions get reflected in the Zacks Rank quickly enough, it is always timely in predicting future stock prices.

Is ETN Worth Investing In?In terms of earnings estimate revisions for Eaton, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current year has increased 0.2% over the past month to $13.35.

Analysts' growing optimism over the company's earnings prospects, as indicated by strong agreement among them in revising EPS estimates higher, could be a legitimate reason for the stock to soar in the near term.

The size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, has resulted in a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) for Eaton. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>>

Therefore, the Buy-equivalent ABR for Eaton may serve as a useful guide for investors.

AutoZone, Inc. (AZO) Is a Trending Stock: Facts to Know Before Betting on It
AZO AutoZone
FMP Stock News
Original source text
AutoZone (AZO - Free Report) has recently been on Zacks.com's list of the most searched stocks. Therefore, you might want to consider some of the key factors that could influence the stock's performance in the near future.

Shares of this auto parts retailer have returned -0.6% over the past month versus the Zacks S&P 500 composite's +0.6% change. The Zacks Automotive - Retail and Wholesale - Parts industry, to which AutoZone belongs, has gained 1.4% over this period. Now the key question is: Where could the stock be headed in the near term?

Although media reports or rumors about a significant change in a company's business prospects usually cause its stock to trend and lead to an immediate price change, there are always certain fundamental factors that ultimately drive the buy-and-hold decision.

Earnings Estimate RevisionsHere at Zacks, we prioritize appraising the change in the projection of a company's future earnings over anything else. That's because we believe the present value of its future stream of earnings is what determines the fair value for its stock.

Our analysis is essentially based on how sell-side analysts covering the stock are revising their earnings estimates to take the latest business trends into account. When earnings estimates for a company go up, the fair value for its stock goes up as well. And when a stock's fair value is higher than its current market price, investors tend to buy the stock, resulting in its price moving upward. Because of this, empirical studies indicate a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and short-term stock price movements.

AutoZone is expected to post earnings of $55.34 per share for the current quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +13.6%. Over the last 30 days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate remained unchanged.

For the current fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $150.51 points to a change of +3.9% from the prior year. Over the last 30 days, this estimate has remained unchanged.

For the next fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $175.75 indicates a change of +16.8% from what AutoZone is expected to report a year ago. Over the past month, the estimate has remained unchanged.

With an impressive externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool -- the Zacks Rank -- is a more conclusive indicator of a stock's near-term price performance, as it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions. The size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, has resulted in a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) for AutoZone.

The chart below shows the evolution of the company's forward 12-month consensus EPS estimate:

12 Month EPS

Projected Revenue GrowthEven though a company's earnings growth is arguably the best indicator of its financial health, nothing much happens if it cannot raise its revenues. It's almost impossible for a company to grow its earnings without growing its revenue for long periods. Therefore, knowing a company's potential revenue growth is crucial.

For AutoZone, the consensus sales estimate for the current quarter of $6.71 billion indicates a year-over-year change of +7.5%. For the current and next fiscal years, $20.48 billion and $22.02 billion estimates indicate +8.1% and +7.5% changes, respectively.

Last Reported Results and Surprise HistoryAutoZone reported revenues of $4.84 billion in the last reported quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +8.4%. EPS of $38.07 for the same period compares with $35.36 a year ago.

Compared to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $4.86 billion, the reported revenues represent a surprise of -0.45%. The EPS surprise was +5.22%.

Over the last four quarters, AutoZone surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times. The company topped consensus revenue estimates just once over this period.

ValuationWithout considering a stock's valuation, no investment decision can be efficient. In predicting a stock's future price performance, it's crucial to determine whether its current price correctly reflects the intrinsic value of the underlying business and the company's growth prospects.

While comparing the current values of a company's valuation multiples, such as price-to-earnings (P/E), price-to-sales (P/S), and price-to-cash flow (P/CF), with its own historical values helps determine whether its stock is fairly valued, overvalued, or undervalued, comparing the company relative to its peers on these parameters gives a good sense of the reasonability of the stock's price.

The Zacks Value Style Score (part of the Zacks Style Scores system), which pays close attention to both traditional and unconventional valuation metrics to grade stocks from A to F (an A is better than a B; a B is better than a C; and so on), is pretty helpful in identifying whether a stock is overvalued, rightly valued, or temporarily undervalued.

AutoZone is graded C on this front, indicating that it is trading at par with its peers. Click here to see the values of some of the valuation metrics that have driven this grade.

Bottom LineThe facts discussed here and much other information on Zacks.com might help determine whether or not it's worthwhile paying attention to the market buzz about AutoZone. However, its Zacks Rank #3 does suggest that it may perform in line with the broader market in the near term.

The Zacks Premium service makes this easier. It features daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank; full access to the Zacks #1 Rank List; Equity Research reports; and Premium stock screens like the Earnings ESP filter. All of these can help you quickly identify what stocks to buy, what to sell, and what are today's hottest industries.

It also includes the Focus List, a long-term portfolio of top stocks that have all the elements to beat the market.

Breaking Down the Zacks Focus ListIf you could get access to a curated list of stocks to kickstart your investment portfolio, wouldn't you jump at the chance to take a peek?

That's what the Zacks Focus List offers. It's a portfolio of 50 stocks that serve as a starting point for long-term investors to build their individual portfolios. The stocks included in the list are set to outperform the market over the next 12 months.

What makes the Focus List even more helpful is that each selection is accompanied by a full Zacks Analyst Report, which explains the reasoning behind every stock's selection and why we believe it's a good pick for the long-term.

Brokerage analysts are in charge of determining a company's growth and profitability expectations, or earnings estimates. These analysts work together with company management to evaluate all factors that may affect future earnings, like interest rates, the economy, and sector and industry optimism.

Utilizing the power of earnings estimate revisions is when the Zacks Rank joins the party. A unique, proprietary stock-rating model, the Zacks Rank uses changes to quarterly earnings expectations to help investors create a winning portfolio.

Since stock prices respond to revisions, it can be very profitable to buy stocks with rising earnings estimates. By buying Focus List stocks, then, you're likely getting into companies whose future earnings estimates will be raised, potentially leading to price momentum.

Focus List Spotlight: Casey's General Stores (CASY - Free Report) Founded in 1959 and based in Ankeny, IA, Casey's General Stores, Inc. operates convenience stores primarily under the Casey's and Casey's General Store names in 19 states, mainly Iowa, Missouri and Illinois. As of Apr. 30, 2026, the company operated 2,944 stores. Approximately 71% of all stores were located in areas with populations of fewer than 20,000 people.

On August 20, 2019, CASY was added to the Focus List at $171.98 per share. Shares have increased 399.55% to $859.39 since then, and the company is a #3 (Hold) on the Zacks Rank.

Four analysts revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days for fiscal 2027. The Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.67 to $21.14. CASY boasts an average earnings surprise of 18.4%.

Moreover, analysts are expecting CASY's earnings to grow 10.3% for the current fiscal year.

Element Solutions (ESI) Reports Next Week: Wall Street Expects Earnings Growth
ESI Element Solutions
FMP Stock News
Original source text
The market expects Element Solutions (ESI - Free Report) to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook is important in assessing the company's earnings picture, but a powerful factor that might influence its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.

Zacks Consensus EstimateThis specialty chemical and printing products is expected to post quarterly earnings of $0.43 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +16.2%.

Revenues are expected to be $877.3 million, up 40.3% from the year-ago quarter.

Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has remained unchanged over the last 30 days. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.

Investors should keep in mind that the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts may not always get reflected in the aggregate change.

Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise

Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. Our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) -- has this insight at its core.

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Element Solutions? For Element Solutions, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +1.54%.

On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #2.

So, this combination indicates that Element Solutions will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate.

Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue?Analysts often consider to what extent a company has been able to match consensus estimates in the past while calculating their estimates for its future earnings. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.

For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Element Solutions would post earnings of $0.38 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.41, delivering a surprise of +7.89%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates four times.

Element Solutions appears a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

Expected Results of an Industry PlayerAmong the stocks in the Zacks Chemical - Specialty industry, RPM International (RPM - Free Report) , is soon expected to post earnings of $1.84 per share for the quarter ended June 2026. This estimate indicates a year-over-year change of +7%. This quarter's revenue is expected to be $2.19 billion, up 5% from the year-ago quarter.

Over the last 30 days, the consensus EPS estimate for RPM International has been revised 1.3% down to the current level. Nevertheless, the company now has an Earnings ESP of +1.71%, reflecting a higher Most Accurate Estimate.

This Earnings ESP, combined with its Zacks Rank #3 (Hold), suggests that RPM International will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate. Over the last four quarters, the company surpassed consensus EPS estimates three times.

Why Investors Need to Take Advantage of These 2 Industrial Products Stocks Now
RBC RBC Bearings
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Earnings are arguably the most important single number on a company's quarterly financial report. Wall Street clearly dives into all of the other metrics and management's input, but the EPS figure helps cut through all the noise.

The earnings figure itself is key, of course, but a beat or miss on the bottom line can sometimes be just as, if not more, important. Therefore, investors should consider paying close attention to these earnings surprises, as a big beat can help a stock climb and vice versa.

The ability to identify stocks that are likely to top quarterly earnings expectations can be profitable, but it's no simple task. Here at Zacks, our Earnings ESP filter helps make things easier.

The Zacks Earnings ESP, ExplainedThe Zacks Earnings ESP is more formally known as the Expected Surprise Prediction, and it aims to grab the inside track on the latest analyst estimate revisions ahead of a company's report. The idea is relatively intuitive as a newer projection might be based on more complete information.

With this in mind, the Expected Surprise Prediction compares the Most Accurate Estimate (being the most recent) against the overall Zacks Consensus Estimate. The percentage difference provides the ESP figure. The system also utilizes our core Zacks Rank to provide a stronger system for identifying stocks that might beat their next quarterly earnings estimate and possibly see the stock price climb.

Bringing together a positive earnings ESP alongside a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) or better has helped stocks report a positive earnings surprise 70% of the time. Furthermore, by using these parameters, investors have seen 28.3% annual returns on average, according to our 10 year backtest.

Stocks with a #3 (Hold) ranking, which is most stocks covered at 60%, are expected to perform in-line with the broader market. But stocks that fall into the #2 (Buy) and #1 (Strong Buy) ranking, or the top 15% and top 5% of stocks, respectively, should outperform the market. Strong Buy stocks should outperform more than any other rank.

Should You Consider RBC Bearings? The last thing we will do today, now that we have a grasp on the ESP and how powerful of a tool it can be, is to quickly look at a qualifying stock. RBC Bearings (RBC - Free Report) holds a #3 (Hold) at the moment and its Most Accurate Estimate comes in at $3.45 a share 11 days away from its upcoming earnings release on July 31, 2026.

RBC Bearings' Earnings ESP sits at +1.77%, which, as explained above, is calculated by taking the percentage difference between the $3.45 Most Accurate Estimate and the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $3.39. RBC is also part of a large group of stocks that boast a positive ESP. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.

RBC is just one of a large group of Industrial Products stocks with a positive ESP figure. Eaton (ETN - Free Report) is another qualifying stock you may want to consider.

Eaton is a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) stock, and is getting ready to report earnings on July 31, 2026. ETN's Most Accurate Estimate sits at $3.09 a share 11 days from its next earnings release.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Eaton is $3.08, and when you take the percentage difference between that number and its Most Accurate Estimate, you get the Earnings ESP figure of +0.32%.

Because both stocks hold a positive Earnings ESP, RBC and ETN could potentially post earnings beats in their next reports.

Find Stocks to Buy or Sell Before They're ReportedUse the Zacks Earnings ESP Filter to turn up stocks with the highest probability of positively, or negatively, surprising to buy or sell before they're reported for profitable earnings season trading. Check it out here >>

Edwards' Q2 Earnings on the Horizon: What's in the Cards?
EW Edwards Lifesciences
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways EW is set to report Q2 2026 results on July 23, with revenues expected to rise 10.9% year over year.Edwards' TAVR growth may be aided by SAPIEN demand, clinical evidence and European guideline support.Edwards' TMTT and Surgical may have benefited from EVOQUE, SAPIEN M3, PASCAL and RESILIA therapy demand. Edwards Lifesciences Corp. (EW - Free Report) is scheduled to report second-quarter 2026 results on July 23, after the market closes.

In the last reported quarter, the company’s adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of 78 cents beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 4%. Its earnings topped estimates in three of the trailing four quarters and missed on one occasion, the average surprise being 4.79%.

Edwards' Q2 EstimatesThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for the company’s second-quarter 2026 revenues is pegged at $1.70 billion, suggesting 10.9% growth from the year-ago reported figure.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter 2026 net earnings of 73 cents per share indicates a 9% increase from the year-ago reported figure. The estimate has remained unchanged in the past 60 days.

Factors Likely to Influence EW’s Q2 ResultsTranscatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)In the second quarter of 2026, the TAVR segment is likely to have maintained its momentum, aided by procedural growth amid a heightened clinical focus on proactive disease management of severe aortic stenosis. Long-term clinical evidence supporting the SAPIEN platform’s durability and valve performance may have been a key driver.

Edwards may have continued to see strong sales of the SAPIEN 3 Ultra RESILIA valve across the United States and international markets, including Japan. In Europe, continued commercial execution and sustained physician demand for the SAPIEN platform are expected to have supported performance. The company may have continued to benefit from the exit of a competitor in the prior year.

Updated guidelines from the European Society of Cardiology and the European Association for Cardiothoracic Surgery, endorsing the role of TAVR for a broader patient population, may have positively influenced the segment’s performance.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate expects TAVR revenues to grow 9.1% year over year in the second quarter.

Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies (TMTT)Within TMTT, Edwards’ ongoing strength in the portfolio of repair and replacement therapies to treat mitral and tricuspid diseases is expected to have resulted in solid top-line growth. The EVOQUE tricuspid valve replacement system is likely to have continued to gain traction in both the United States and Europe.

Last year, the FDA approval of the SAPIEN M3 mitral valve replacement system marked a major milestone as the first transcatheter therapy utilizing a transseptal approach. Edwards’ early commercial experience has reflected the need for this mitral replacement solution for patients for whom mitral TEER is not an appropriate treatment option.

Favorable physician feedback on patient outcomes and procedural experience is likely to have continued to support the system’s adoption in the second quarter. Demand for the PASCAL transcatheter edge-to-edge repair system may have continued to expand, driven by physician interest in its differentiated design and clinical outcomes, as well as the significant unmet need among these patients.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate expects TMTT revenues to grow 39.3% year over year in second-quarter 2026.

Surgical Structural HeartThe segment’s second-quarter performance is likely to have benefited from the continued demand for Edwards’ RESILIA therapies. The global adoption of the INSPIRIS aortic valve is expected to have remained strong, while the KONECT tissue valved conduit is likely to have continued to gain traction following its European launch. The rollout of the MITRIS valve across more international markets may have supported growth in surgical mitral valve replacement procedures.

With Edwards maintaining its outlook for mid-single-digit Surgical sales growth in 2026, the second quarter is likely to have seen continued progress toward that target.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate anticipates Surgical revenues to grow 4.1% year over year.

Earnings Whispers for EdwardsPer our proven model, stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold), along with a positive Earnings ESP, have a higher chance of beating estimates, which is not the case here, as you can see below:

Analysts Estimate Whirlpool (WHR) to Report a Decline in Earnings: What to Look Out for
WHR Whirlpool
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Wall Street expects a year-over-year decline in earnings on lower revenues when Whirlpool (WHR - Free Report) reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. While this widely-known consensus outlook is important in gauging the company's earnings picture, a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.

The stock might move higher if these key numbers top expectations in the upcoming earnings report. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.

While the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call, it's worth handicapping the probability of a positive EPS surprise.

Zacks Consensus EstimateThis maker of Maytag, KitchenAid and other appliances is expected to post quarterly earnings of $0.08 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of -94%.

Revenues are expected to be $3.61 billion, down 4.5% from the year-ago quarter.

Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 7.13% lower over the last 30 days to the current level.

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Whirlpool? For Whirlpool, the Most Accurate Estimate is lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bearish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -424.00%.

On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #5.

So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Whirlpool will beat the consensus EPS estimate.

Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.

For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Whirlpool would post earnings of $0.43 per share when it actually produced a loss of -$0.56, delivering a surprise of -230.23%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates just once.

Whirlpool doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

Is The Hanover Insurance Group (THG) a Great Value Stock Right Now?
THG The Hanover Insurance Group
FMP Stock News
Original source text
While the proven Zacks Rank places an emphasis on earnings estimates and estimate revisions to find strong stocks, we also know that investors tend to develop their own individual strategies. With this in mind, we are always looking at value, growth, and momentum trends to discover great companies.

Considering these trends, value investing is clearly one of the most preferred ways to find strong stocks in any type of market. Value investors use fundamental analysis and traditional valuation metrics to find stocks that they believe are being undervalued by the market at large.

Luckily, Zacks has developed its own Style Scores system in an effort to find stocks with specific traits. Value investors will be interested in the system's "Value" category. Stocks with both "A" grades in the Value category and high Zacks Ranks are among the strongest value stocks on the market right now.

One company to watch right now is The Hanover Insurance Group (THG - Free Report) . THG is currently sporting a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), as well as an A grade for Value. The stock is trading with P/E ratio of 10.86 right now. For comparison, its industry sports an average P/E of 26.96. Over the past year, THG's Forward P/E has been as high as 13.52 and as low as 10.12, with a median of 11.25.

Value investors also love the P/S ratio, which is calculated by simply dividing a stock's price with the company's sales. Some people prefer this metric because sales are harder to manipulate on an income statement. This means it could be a truer performance indicator. THG has a P/S ratio of 1.11. This compares to its industry's average P/S of 1.33.

Finally, investors should note that THG has a P/CF ratio of 11.21. This metric focuses on a firm's operating cash flow and is often used to find stocks that are undervalued based on the strength of their cash outlook. This company's current P/CF looks solid when compared to its industry's average P/CF of 11.39. Over the past 52 weeks, THG's P/CF has been as high as 19.14 and as low as 10.39, with a median of 13.62.

Value investors will likely look at more than just these metrics, but the above data helps show that The Hanover Insurance Group is likely undervalued currently. And when considering the strength of its earnings outlook, THG sticks out as one of the market's strongest value stocks.

Kaplan Fox Encourages Investors of Badger Meter, Inc. (BMI) Who Suffered Losses to Contact the Firm Before August 3, 2026
BMI Badger Meter
FMP Stock News
Original source text
New York, New York--(Newsfile Corp. - July 20, 2026) - Kaplan Fox & Kilsheimer LLP announces that a class action lawsuit has been filed against Badger Meter, Inc. ("Badger Meter" or the "Company") (NYSE: BMI) on behalf of investors that purchased or otherwise acquired Badger Meter securities between April 18, 2024 and April 16, 2026 (the "Class Period").

CLICK HERE TO JOIN THE CASE

If you are an investor in Badger Meter and have suffered losses, you may CLICK HERE to contact us. You may also contact Kaplan Fox by emailing [email protected] or by calling (646) 315-9003.

DEADLINE REMINDER: If you are a member of the proposed Class, you may move the court no later than August 3, 2026 to serve as a lead plaintiff for the purported class. If you have losses we encourage you to contact us to learn more about the lead plaintiff process. You need not seek to become a lead plaintiff in order to share in any possible recovery.

On April 17, 2026, Badger Meter reported first quarter 2026 results, including a deceleration of sales. Specifically, total sales of $202.3 million for the quarter were "9% lower than the prior year's $222.2 million." Additionally, the Company stated with respect to its first quarter operating results that "Utility water sales declined 10% year-over-year, reflecting project timing and other softer short-cycle municipal ordering . . . ."

Following this news, the price of Badger Meter shares declined by $36.75 per share, or more than 24%, to close at $115.54 per share on April 17, 2026.

The complaint alleges that throughout the Class Period, Defendants misrepresented the drivers of Badger Meter's "record" financial results, demand for the Company's products, and its prospects for continued growth. During the Class Period, Defendants allegedly told investors that Badger Meter's strong financial results reflected "ongoing favorable industry trends," "secular growth drivers," and "solid operating execution." They also allegedly touted "strong" demand and said they were seeing "robust order pacing and a strong bid pipeline that positions us well for continued sales and earnings growth," and that Badger Meter possessed a "long runway" for growth.

According to the complaint, in truth, "Badger Meter's financial results during the Class Period were at least partially attributable to the Company's practice of pulling-forward customer orders to recognize revenue early, which concealed weakening demand and deteriorating near-term order trends. This practice also depleted revenue otherwise available for future periods, ultimately causing the disappointing financial results the Company later reported."

Here's Why Avery Dennison (AVY) is a Strong Momentum Stock
AVY Avery Dennison
FMP Stock News
Original source text
It doesn't matter your age or experience: taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals for all investors. Luckily, Zacks Premium offers several different ways to do both.

The research service features daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, full access to the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens, all of which will help you become a smarter, more confident investor.

Zacks Premium includes access to the Zacks Style Scores as well.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? Developed alongside the Zacks Rank, the Zacks Style Scores are a group of complementary indicators that help investors pick stocks with the best chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.

Momentum ScoreMomentum traders and investors live by the saying "the trend is your friend." This investing style is all about taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Employing factors like one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, the Momentum Style Score can indicate favorable times to build a position in high-momentum stocks.

How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank A proprietary stock-rating model, the Zacks Rank utilizes the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings outlook, to help investors create a successful portfolio.

Investors can count on the Zacks Rank's success, with #1 (Strong Buy) stocks producing an unmatched +23.94% average annual return since 1988, more than double the S&P 500's performance. But the model rates a large number of stocks, and there are over 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, plus another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.

This totals more than 800 top-rated stocks, and it can be overwhelming to try and pick the best stocks for you and your portfolio.

Stock to Watch: Avery Dennison (AVY - Free Report) Headquartered in Pasadena, CA, Avery Dennison Corporation produces pressure-sensitive materials, and a variety of tickets, tags, labels and other converted products. Its clientele is spread across the United States, Europe, Asia, Latin America and other regions.

AVY is a #3 (Hold) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of B.

Momentum investors should take note of this Industrial Products stock. AVY has a Momentum Style Score of B, and shares are up 1.1% over the past four weeks.

One analyst revised their earnings estimate higher in the last 60 days for fiscal 2026, while the Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.00 to $10.00 per share. AVY also boasts an average earnings surprise of +2.1%.

With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Momentum and VGM Style Scores, AVY should be on investors' short list.

4 AI Semiconductor Supply-Chain Stocks to Buy on the Recent Dip
TER Teradyne
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways TER, FORM, AMKR and CRDO are down nearly 30% in a month and about 35% from 52-week highs.AI chip testing, advanced packaging and high-speed connectivity remain key long-term demand drivers. All four posted strong year-over-year financial growth and received upward earnings estimate revisions. Over the past month, many companies across the chip supply-chain ecosystem have witnessed heavy selling pressure as investors reassessed valuations and near-term growth expectations. One of the biggest reasons behind the pullback has been rising concerns that the enormous artificial intelligence (AI) spending by hyperscalers may take longer than expected to generate meaningful financial returns. While companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet and Meta continue to invest billions of dollars in AI infrastructure, investors have become cautious about whether these investments can justify current spending levels in the near term.

Profit booking has also weighed on semiconductor-related stocks. Many companies supplying equipment, testing solutions, advanced packaging and connectivity products delivered outstanding gains during the opening months of 2026. This rapid ascent stretched valuations to historic multiples, prompting investors to lock in gains and de-risk portfolios.

At the same time, renewed geopolitical tensions, including the recent U.S.-Iran military conflict, have increased uncertainty across global markets. Investors have shifted toward defensive sectors, leading to broad-based selling in technology stocks.

As a result, shares of several leading chip supply-chain companies, including Teradyne, Inc. (TER - Free Report) , FormFactor, Inc. (FORM - Free Report) , Amkor Technology, Inc. (AMKR - Free Report) and Credo Technology Group Holding Ltd. (CRDO - Free Report) , have dropped nearly 30% over the past month and now trade roughly 35% below their respective 52-week highs. Their valuation multiples have also fallen well below the peak levels seen over the past year, creating an attractive entry point for investors as the AI-driven semiconductor expansion is likely to continue over the next few years at least.

One-Month Price Return Performance

These stocks have a favorable combination of a Growth Score of A or B and a Zacks Rank of 1 (Strong Buy) or 2 (Buy), offering solid investment opportunities. These have also witnessed upward earnings estimate revisions for the current fiscal, indicating bullish analysts’ views about their long-term prospects.

FORM: Critical Player in Advanced Chip ManufacturingFormFactor plays an essential role in semiconductor production by supplying advanced probe cards and measurement solutions used during wafer testing. As chip manufacturers move toward smaller process nodes and more advanced packaging technologies, precision testing becomes increasingly important. In the first quarter of 2026, the company’s revenues rose 32% year over year, while non-GAAP earnings per share (EPS) jumped 143%.

FormFactor is well-positioned to benefit from rising demand for high-bandwidth memory (HBM), advanced logic chips and AI processors. These products require significantly more testing than traditional semiconductors, creating favorable industry trends for the company. As leading foundries and memory manufacturers continue investing in next-generation production capacity, FormFactor stands to benefit from higher testing intensity across the semiconductor manufacturing process.

Combined with lower valuation multiples following the recent correction, FormFactor appears well-positioned for a recovery once market sentiment improves. The company's forward 12-month price-to-earnings (P/E) valuation multiple of 41.93 remains well below the one-year high of 102.72. At the closing price of $105.57 as of July 17, FORM stock trades nearly 34% lower than its 52-week high of $160.27.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 earnings has been revised upward over the past 60 days and indicates a year-over-year increase of approximately 85%. Currently, FormFactor sports a Zacks Rank of 1 and has a Growth Score of A. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank stocks here.

CRDO: AI Networking Demand Supports Long-Term GrowthCredo Technology has emerged as an important supplier of high-speed connectivity solutions used inside AI data centers. As AI clusters become larger and more powerful, demand for energy-efficient optical connectivity and high-speed data transmission continues to increase. In the last reported financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, Credo Technology’s revenues surged 157% year over year, while non-GAAP EPS jumped 231%.

The company supplies active electrical cables, optical digital signal processors and connectivity solutions that help improve data transfer while reducing power consumption. These products are becoming increasingly important as hyperscalers build next-generation AI infrastructure. As artificial intelligence models expand, the sheer volume of data moving between server racks threatens to overwhelm traditional infrastructure, creating a massive tailwind for Credo Technology’s energy-efficient optical and electrical link products.

The company's forward 12-month P/E valuation multiple of 30.96 is significantly lower than the one-year high of 132.72. At the closing price of $202.68 as of July 17, CRDO stock trades nearly 34% lower than its 52-week high of $308.67.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for fiscal 2027 earnings has been revised upward over the past 30 days and indicates a year-over-year surge of 73%. Currently, Credo Technology sports a Zacks Rank #1 and has a Growth Score of B.

TER: AI Chip Testing Demand Remains a Long-Term TailwindTeradyne is one of the world's leading providers of automated test equipment used by semiconductor manufacturers. As AI processors become increasingly complex and expensive, chipmakers require more sophisticated testing before products reach customers. This directly strengthens Teradyne's long-term demand outlook. In the first quarter of 2026, its revenues and non-GAAP EPS soared 87% and 241%, respectively, year over year.

The company continues to benefit from rising investments in high-performance computing, AI accelerators and advanced memory technologies. Beyond semiconductors, Teradyne is also expanding its presence in industrial automation through collaborative robots, providing another long-term growth opportunity. While near-term spending cycles may fluctuate, the growing complexity of AI chips should continue increasing testing requirements, positioning Teradyne to benefit as semiconductor investments recover.

The company's forward 12-month P/E valuation multiple of 38.01 remains well below the one-year high of 60.35. At the closing price of 322.36 as of July 17, TER stock trades 34% lower than its 52-week high of $487.91.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 earnings has been revised upward over the past 30 days and indicates a year-over-year surge of 42%. Currently, Teradyne carries a Zacks Rank #2 and has a Growth Score of A.

AMKR: Advanced Packaging Creates Growth OpportunitiesAdvanced packaging has become one of the fastest-growing segments within the semiconductor industry, and Amkor Technology remains one of the global leaders in outsourced semiconductor packaging and testing services. The company’s first-quarter 2026 revenues increased more than 27% year over year, while non-GAAP EPS soared 267%.

Amkor Technology is positioned to benefit from AI and high-performance computing packaging demand, with advanced packaging platforms expected to nearly triple in 2026 and two CPU programs targeting high-volume production in the second half of the year. Computing is forecast to grow more than 20% year over year, supporting a sustained mix shift toward higher-value offerings. Amkor Technology’s multi-region buildout across Korea, Vietnam, Arizona and Taiwan, supported by government incentives and customer agreements, underpins its multi-year growth potential.

Following the recent share price correction, AMKR now trades at a much more attractive valuation relative to its long-term growth prospects. The company's forward 12-month P/E valuation multiple of 29.61 is significantly lower than the one-year high of 44.43. At the closing price of $62.94 as of July 17, Amkor Technology stock trades approximately 35% lower than its 52-week high of $96.68.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 earnings has been revised upward over the past 60 days and indicates a year-over-year increase of 39%. Currently, Amkor Technology carries a Zacks Rank #2 and has a Growth Score of A.

Analyst Issues Critical Warning for Bitcoin (BTC): This Level Could Be Key to the Bull Season! Here Are the Details
BTC Bitcoin LVL Level
CoinGecko News
Original source text
With the US-Iran conflict continuing and the Strait of Hormuz being closed again, and tensions escalating, Bitcoin has turned its gaze upwards once more. However, despite the rising tensions, Bitcoin is maintaining its support level of $60,000 while continuing to challenge the $65,000 level.

While price uncertainty continues for the coming days, a popular analyst, citing historical data, notes that it is quite rare for Bitcoin to fall below its previous all-time high (ATH) during bear markets.

The analyst also adds that, when past cycles are examined, the previous all-time high (ATH) presented a significant accumulation opportunity for long-term investors.

At this point, analyst Ali Martinez, in a post from account X, says that Bitcoin is showing the same pattern that led to massive gains of 550% and 7,500% in previous market cycles.

Analyzing the 2015 cycle first, the analyst noted that Bitcoin had fallen below its peak of approximately $259 reached in late 2013, but then experienced a remarkable return in the subsequent bull market, gaining over 7,500% in value.

The analyst noted that a similar scenario occurred in 2022, stating that after the 2021 bull market, BTC fell below the previous cycle’s peak of around $19,660 by the end of 2022.

Subsequently, BTC experienced a massive bull rally, increasing by over 550% to reach its peak of $126,198 in October 2025.

In this context, Bitcoin is trading below its 2021 all-time high of $69,000. While $69,000 stands out as a critical threshold for Bitcoin, according to the analyst, historical data, although not guaranteeing future price movements, points to an important milestone for BTC.

However, Ali Martinez believes that a recapture of the previous all-time high of $69,000 and its preservation as a strong support zone could signal Bitcoin’s exit from the bear market and entry into a new long-term uptrend.

“…History doesn’t guarantee the same outcome, but previous cycles show that reclaiming the previous cycle’s all-time high often signals a transition from a bear market to a sustainable bull trend.”

If BTC can successfully reclaim $69,000 and hold that level as support, that would be another strong piece of evidence suggesting the next major uptrend may have already begun.”

Aurora EVM Network Halts Mainnet Operations as TVL Collapses 99% From Peak
AURORA Aurora JST JUST NEAR Near Protocol
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Aurora suffered a full outage of the mainnet, which stopped block production and smart contracts. The outage is a clear demonstration of a massive contraction in the capitalization of the project by 99 percent since 2022. Aurora suffered a full outage of the mainnet in the early hours of July 20, 2026, following the unexpected halt of block production at 2:16:11 a.m. UTC, as reported by Onchain Lens. This caused an immediate interruption of transactions and smart contract executions on the network.

Aurora acts as a compatible Ethereum Virtual Machine layer running on NEAR Protocol. It allows developers to launch Solidity-based smart contracts and gain the advantages of low transaction fees and increased throughput. The platform has secured investment from top venture capitals such as Pantera Capital, Electric Capital, and Dragonfly Capital, which contributed $12 million to Aurora’s fundraising process. While many projects were impacted by the downtime, Aurora’s team chose to remain silent regarding the issue for several hours following the crash.

Aurora’s project has failed to release a detailed technical statement about what caused the crash and a timeframe for when the network will be back up and running. Due to the lack of information released by Aurora, the platform’s operations were paused, leaving developers and users in suspense while all blockchain activity on Aurora was suspended.

Aurora Experiences Operational Difficulties The current outage suffered by Aurora is part of a growing trend of diminished activity in the NEAR-based scaling ecosystem. As per DefiLlama, the total value of funds locked on Aurora was close to $2.5 billion during the crypto market cycle of 2022. The number of funds since then has dropped by more than 99%, dropping to around $4.65 million.

The long period of low liquidity has made it such that there have been fewer users in the ecosystem at the time of the surprising shutdown of the mainnet. Unlike other outages experienced in major blockchain ecosystems, the outage experienced by Aurora received little response from the greater crypto market, demonstrating the diminished market presence of the platform.

Next Comes the Task of Rebuilding Confidence As Aurora’s development team has not yet offered a solution for the network outage and recovery timeline, developers and users keep watching the status of the network and evaluating the risks involved. Block production, root cause analysis, and proper communication will be essential to rebuild confidence.

3 Medical Device Stocks Giving Investors a Different Healthcare Play
GMED Globus Medical
FMP Stock News
Original source text
When investors think of the health care sector, most imagine the stability of pharmaceutical giants or the high-risk/high-reward profile of up-and-coming clinical stage drug developers. Medical device companies operate within a unique ecosystem and are often easy to overlook. The fact that these firms have unique business models, revenue drivers, and innovation cycles may make them appealing as a supplement—or even an alternative—to better-known corners of the health care space.

Investors seeking the advantages of companies that don't depend on the approval of blockbuster drugs, can more easily make incremental innovations, or can derive revenue from recurring procedures, may want to consider the companies below. These and other similar firms stand to benefit from growing specialized demand for procedures such as spine surgery, sleep apnea treatment, and stroke treatment.

Globus Medical, Inc. NYSE: GMED is an $11-billion firm designing and building implantable devices and surgical instruments used to treat spinal disorders. The firm has been quietly thriving thanks to strong organic revenue growth and margin improvements: in Q1 2026, for instance, revenue grew by 27% year over year (YOY) to nearly $760 million and earnings per share (EPS) climbed to $1.12 from 68 cents. Both of these figures were solidly above analyst expectations.

Management credits the growth to improving market share, operational discipline, stronger free cash flow, and the introduction of dozens of new products. The company's U.S. business in particular is thriving, having seen three consecutive quarters of at least 10% growth, but its international segment and enabling technologies business are also growing.

The company's products are widely favored and gaining additional traction thanks to Globus' strong sales approach, and it continues to receive new clearances from the FDA to expand its lineup. This has allowed the firm to raise its full-year EPS guidance by 30 cents to a range of $4.70-$4.80.

Despite these positive attributes, shares of GMED have slumped by about 7% year to date (YTD), though analysts expect a reversal and upside potential of nearly 29%. More than two-thirds of the 16 ratings for GMED are Buys.

Nearly a third of U.S. adults over the age of 20 have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), giving Inspire Medical Systems Inc. NYSE: INSP more than 80 million potential domestic customers. The company makes implantable neurostimulation devices to treat OSA. These devices are rapidly becoming a popular alternative to traditional continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) options.

Still, INSP shares have experienced a major sell-off so far this year, falling by 44% YTD. The likely reason for this is the company's recent revenue slowdown: in the latest quarter, revenue climbed by under 2% YOY and management cut full-year sales guidance to between $825 million and $875 million as a result of prior-authorization delays.

The key consideration for investors is that these delays are not a fundamental reflection of weakness in Inspire's products, but a temporary slowdown in procedures due to external headwinds. Strong trial results for new products and improvements to adjusted EBITDA margin, operating cash flow, and more all point to the likelihood that momentum will pick up again. Analysts even see earnings growing by a massive 54% in the coming year.

This means that investors willing to wait out the current challenges may find INSP shares at a relative bargain based on a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 11.4. The stock has 59% upside, even as analysts are somewhat hesitant given the current environment, assigning a Hold rating overall.

Penumbra Inc. NYSE: PEN creates products to improve outcomes after strokes, aneurysms, and related medical events. After a share price spike early in the year, PEN stock has been gradually declining, though it remains up modestly YTD as of mid-July. The company's financials show some important strengths, including almost 16% YOY growth in revenue in Q1 2026, driven by global embolization and access gains. Gross profit margin is also expanding, having climbed by 1% YOY to 67.6% for the quarter.

At the same time, the company faces challenges, including a sizable earnings miss and a one-cent YOY decline in EPS last quarter. It's understandable, then, that analysts would be somewhat cautious: PEN receives a Hold rating overall, despite the most recent analyst rating being an enthusiastic reiterated Outperform by Evercore. This could be due to the company's upcoming FORWARD study, which aims to collect data on mechanical thrombectomy in the management of acute ischemic stroke. This is a promising avenue and one in which Penumbra has a distinct advantage over competitors.

Robust Trading & IB Business Performance to Aid RJF's Q3 Earnings
RJF Raymond James Financial
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Raymond James is expected to post y/y growth in Q3 earnings and revenues on July 22.RJF may benefit from stronger trading, higher investment banking fees and improved net interest income.Raymond James completed the Clark Capital acquisition, expanding its asset management platform. Raymond James (RJF - Free Report) is set to announce third-quarter fiscal 2026 (ended June 30) results on July 22, after market close. The company’s earnings and revenues are expected to have risen on a year-over-year basis.

In the last reported quarter, RJF’s earnings surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate. Results benefited primarily from an increase in revenues to record levels and robust growth in the assets under administration balance. However, higher expenses were the undermining factor.

Raymond James has a decent earnings surprise history. Its earnings outpaced the Zacks Consensus Estimate in three of the trailing four quarters, the average beat being 2.7%.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the company’s fiscal third-quarter earnings is pegged at $2.91, unchanged over the past 30 days. The figure indicates an increase of 33.5% from the year-ago quarter.

The consensus estimate for sales of $3.86 billion suggests 13.7% year-over-year growth.

Management expects fiscal third-quarter asset management and related administrative fees to grow 1% sequentially, driven by the impact of one additional billing day in the third quarter, along with slightly higher Private Client Group assets and fee-based accounts balance at quarter end.

Factors to Impact Raymond James’ Q3 EarningsInvestment Banking (IB) Fees: After an impressive performance in the last quarter, global deal-making activity moderated in the June-end quarter as geopolitical uncertainty, persistent valuation gaps, slowing economic growth, elevated inflation and interest rates, and a stubbornly high backlog of private equity exits weighed on transaction value. However, strategic buyers remained active, targeting deals that could expand scale, bolster resilience and strengthen supply-chain security amid the challenging operating environment.

So, while deal value fell as only a handful of big transactions dominated the space, the overall global mergers and acquisitions volume improved year over year. This is expected to have driven RJF’s advisory fees in the quarter.

Also, the quarter witnessed strong IPO activity and equity issuances. Global bond issuance volume was solid, driven by corporate refinancing and infrastructure builds. So, RJF’s underwriting fees are expected to have increased on a year-over-year basis.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the company’s total IB fees for the fiscal third-quarter is pegged at $231 million, indicating a 9% increase on a year-over-year basis.

Trading Revenues: The performance of RJF’s trading business is expected to have been strong in the to-be-reported quarter, supported by increased client activity and market volatility. Trading conditions were shaped by evolving expectations surrounding artificial intelligence, ongoing geopolitical tensions, persistent inflationary pressures and a more hawkish Federal Reserve. These factors contributed to heightened volatility across equities and other asset classes, including commodities, fixed income and foreign exchange.

Net Interest Income (NII): The Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged in the June-end quarter, while signaling a hike later in the year because of persistently high inflation. This created a favorable backdrop for Raymond James.

Also, the overall lending scenario improved in the quarter, which, along with stabilizing funding/deposit costs, is expected to have offered the much-needed support to RJF’s NII.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for NII is pegged at $560 million, indicating a year-over-year rise of 2.6%.

Based on static interest rates and assuming unchanged quarter-end balances, net of the fiscal third-quarter fee billing collection of $1.9 billion, management expects the aggregate of NII and RJBDP third-party fees in the third fiscal quarter to inch up 1% sequentially.

Expenses: Raymond James consistently hires advisors and invests in franchises. Thus, overall expenses are expected to have increased in the to-be-reported quarter. Due to a highly competitive environment and inflationary pressure, expenses are likely to have risen.

Key Development During the QuarterIn May, Raymond James completed the acquisition of Clark Capital Management Group, a Philadelphia-based asset management company with more than $46 billion in discretionary assets under management and non-discretionary assets. The deal was announced in January.

Per the agreement, Clark Capital retained its brand name and is continuing as a separate boutique investment manager in Raymond James Investment Management, an asset management unit of Raymond James and a global multi-boutique platform.

The popular research service can help you become a smarter, more self-assured investor, giving you access to daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens.

Zacks Premium also includes the Zacks Style Scores.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores, developed alongside the Zacks Rank, are complementary indicators that rate stocks based on three widely-followed investing methodologies; they also help investors pick stocks with the best chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.

Value ScoreFor value investors, it's all about finding good stocks at good prices, and discovering which companies are trading under their true value before the broader market catches on. The Value Style Score utilizes ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and a host of other multiples to help pick out the most attractive and discounted stocks.

Growth ScoreGrowth investors, on the other hand, are more concerned with a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score examines things like projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks that will experience sustainable growth over time.

As mentioned above, the Scores are designed to work with the Zacks Rank, so any change to a company's earnings outlook should be a deciding factor when picking which stocks to buy.

Why H. B. Fuller (FUL) is a Top Value Stock for the Long-Term

What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores, developed alongside the Zacks Rank, are complementary indicators that rate stocks based on three widely-followed investing methodologies; they also help investors pick stocks with the best chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.

Each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics. Just like in school, an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on -- that means the better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform.

Growth ScoreWhile good value is important, growth investors are more focused on a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score takes projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow into account to uncover stocks that will see long-term, sustainable growth.

Momentum ScoreMomentum trading is all about taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook, and these investors live by the saying "the trend is your friend." The Momentum Style Score can pinpoint good times to build a position in a stock, using factors like one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates.

But because of the large number of stocks we rate, there are over 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, plus another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.

This totals more than 800 top-rated stocks, and it can be overwhelming to try and pick the best stocks for you and your portfolio.

FUL is a #2 (Buy) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of B.

It also boasts a Value Style Score of A thanks to attractive valuation metrics like a forward P/E ratio of 11.7; value investors should take notice.

Three analysts revised their earnings estimate higher in the last 60 days for fiscal 2026, while the Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.10 to $4.87 per share. FUL also boasts an average earnings surprise of +2.4%.

Crescent Energy vs. Magnolia: Which E&P Stock Offers a Better Bet?
MGY Magnolia Oil & Gas
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways CRGY posted record Q1 2026 production and exceeded Permian synergy targets after acquisitions.Magnolia combines disciplined capital allocation with strong free cash flow and low leverage.MGY targets 5% production growth in 2026 while expanding drilling opportunities in South Texas. Choosing the right exploration and production (E&P) stock requires balancing growth potential, financial strength and resilience across commodity cycles. Crescent Energy Company (CRGY - Free Report) and Magnolia Oil & Gas Corporation (MGY - Free Report) have emerged as attractive independent U.S. producers, but they follow distinctly different strategies to create shareholder value. Crescent Energy has built its business through disciplined acquisitions, operational improvements and a diversified asset portfolio, while Magnolia emphasizes organic growth, capital discipline and a conservative balance sheet anchored by high-quality South Texas assets. Both companies generate healthy free cash flow and maintain shareholder-friendly capital allocation policies, yet they differ in their approaches to growth, leverage and risk management. This comparison evaluates their operational strengths, financial positioning, growth opportunities and key challenges to determine which stock offers the more compelling long-term investment opportunity.

The Case for Crescent Energy StockCrescent Energy's biggest strength lies in its disciplined, free cash flow-focused operating model and its ability to improve acquired assets. The company delivered record first-quarter 2026 production of 341,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day while generating $192 million of levered free cash flow. Management has also executed well on integrating the Permian acquisition, capturing $120 million in synergies from the Vital Energy acquisition — already exceeding its initial target — through lower well costs, faster drilling cycle times and operational efficiencies. A diversified asset base across the Permian, Eagle Ford, Uinta and minerals business, coupled with a lower-decline production profile, supports stable cash flows and reduces the capital required to sustain production.

The company also has multiple growth opportunities that could enhance long-term shareholder value. Crescent Energy continues to identify additional efficiency gains in the Permian, including longer laterals, optimized well spacing and lower service costs, indicating further synergy potential beyond current expectations. In the Uinta Basin, improving well economics and ongoing delineation of additional formations could expand the resource base. Its high-margin minerals and royalties portfolio is expected to generate approximately $200 million of EBITDA in 2026, while strong projected free cash flow provides flexibility to reduce debt, pursue value-accretive acquisitions, repurchase shares and maintain shareholder distributions.

Despite these positives, Crescent Energy faces several challenges that could affect future performance. The company remains exposed to commodity price volatility, inflation in oilfield service costs and evolving environmental and regulatory requirements that can influence drilling economics and profitability. Continued execution of its acquisition-led growth strategy also carries integration risks, as realizing expected synergies and maintaining operational performance across expanding assets remain critical. Additionally, Crescent Energy operates with significant debt, making sustained free cash flow generation essential for deleveraging and preserving financial flexibility. The business is further subject to reserve replacement risks, supply chain constraints, geopolitical uncertainty and dependence on external management arrangements — all of which could impact long-term growth and returns if market conditions weaken.

The Case for Magnolia StockMagnolia has built a differentiated business model around high-quality, low-risk assets in South Texas, disciplined capital allocation and consistent free cash flow generation. Its core positions in the Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk formations provide a strong production base with relatively low decline rates, enabling the company to sustain moderate production growth while maintaining a low capital reinvestment rate. Magnolia's conservative balance sheet, minimal leverage and focus on returning excess cash through dividends and share repurchases further strengthen its financial flexibility. Operational efficiencies, high working interests across its acreage and a disciplined approach to bolt-on acquisitions have helped the company improve returns while expanding its inventory of high-quality drilling locations.

Magnolia also has several attractive development opportunities that can support long-term growth. The company continues to expand its acreage through targeted bolt-on acquisitions within its existing operating footprint, allowing it to leverage its technical expertise while extending its development inventory at attractive costs. Recent acquisitions in the Karnes and Giddings areas added contiguous acreage, increased working interests and created opportunities for longer lateral drilling, which should improve well economics. Management also expects approximately 5% production growth in 2026 while preserving capital discipline. With substantial free cash flow, Magnolia retains the flexibility to pursue additional acquisitions, invest in high-return projects and continue rewarding shareholders.

Despite these strengths, Magnolia faces several challenges that investors should monitor. Like other upstream producers, its earnings remain highly sensitive to fluctuations in crude oil, natural gas and NGL prices. The company has chosen to keep production unhedged, allowing greater upside during strong commodity markets but exposing cash flows to periods of weaker pricing. Growth also depends on successfully integrating acquisitions, efficiently developing newly acquired acreage and consistently replacing produced reserves. Inflationary pressures, supply-chain disruptions, regulatory changes, geopolitical developments and cybersecurity risks could increase operating costs or delay development activities. Additionally, Magnolia's concentrated asset base in South Texas limits geographic diversification, making operational performance closely tied to conditions in its core producing regions.

Price Performance ComparisonIn the past six months, shares of CRGY and MGY have gained 31.1% and 20.4%, respectively.

Valuation ComparisonFrom a valuation perspective — in terms of Enterprise Value to Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EV/EBITDA) ratio — Crescent Energy is trading at a discount of 3.85X compared with Magnolia’s 6.07X.

EPS EstimatesAccording to the Zacks Consensus Estimate, CRGY’s earnings are set to rise 25.6% in 2026.

The same for MGY’s 2026 EPS indicates a year-over-year increase of 49.2%.

Summing UpWhile both companies present compelling investment cases, Magnolia appears better positioned for long-term investors, backed by its balanced combination of operational consistency, financial discipline and shareholder-friendly capital allocation.

While Crescent Energy offers attractive production growth and trades at a lower valuation, its acquisition-driven strategy and relatively higher debt profile introduce greater execution and financial risks, justifying its Zacks Rank #4 (Sell).

In contrast, Magnolia's low-leverage balance sheet, high-quality Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk assets, disciplined bolt-on acquisition strategy and strong free cash flow generation provide greater resilience across commodity cycles, supporting its Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). The company also expects stronger earnings growth in 2026, supported by efficient capital deployment and expanding high-return drilling opportunities.

Although Magnolia's concentrated asset base and unhedged production remain risks, its conservative operating model, financial flexibility and consistent shareholder returns make it the stronger and more dependable investment opportunity between the two.

PLNT DEADLINE: Levi & Korsinsky Reminds Planet Fitness, Inc. Investors of Upcoming Securities Class Action Deadline
PLNT Planet Fitness
FMP Stock News
Original source text
NEW YORK, July 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Levi & Korsinsky, LLP alerts investors in Planet Fitness, Inc. (NYSE: PLNT) that a class action has been filed on behalf of shareholders who purchased securities between November 6, 2025 and May 6, 2026. Find out if you may qualify to recover losses or call (212) 363-7500.

PLNT closed at $63.96 on May 6, 2026 and fell to $44.01 on May 7, 2026, a decline of $19.95 per share, or approximately 31.19%. The lead plaintiff deadline is September 14, 2026.

Market Impact From the May 7, 2026 PLNT Repricing

The complaint alleges that Planet Fitness had previously created an overly positive impression about its marketing effectiveness, membership growth outlook, Black Card pricing initiative, and ability to meet fiscal 2026 and long-term targets. After the Company announced first-quarter results, the market allegedly reassessed those assumptions in a single trading session.

The filing states that the Company attributed slower net member growth to internal and external headwinds during the peak sign-up period, including a marketing campaign that did not resonate with its core customer base. The action claims that this information was material because Planet Fitness’ subscription model depends heavily on member joins and recurring dues.

Alleged Market Impact Signals for PLNT Investors

Planet Fitness shares declined from $63.96 to $44.01 in one day after the May 7, 2026 announcement. The per-share decline was $19.95, representing approximately 31.19% of market value. The Company reduced expected same-club sales growth from the 4% to 5% range to approximately 1%.Revenue growth guidance moved from approximately 9% to approximately 7%.Adjusted EBITDA growth guidance was reduced from approximately 10% to approximately 6%.Planet Fitness paused the planned national Black Card price increase and withdrew its three-year growth algorithm. Why the Alleged Membership Slowdown Mattered to the Market

As alleged, the market impact was not limited to a single quarterly miss. The complaint contends that the May 7 disclosure called into question multiple investor assumptions at once, including marketing conversion, net member joins, price increase timing, and the durability of the Company’s stated growth model.

"When companies allegedly fail to disclose material information, shareholders may suffer significant losses. Here, the alleged correction coincided with a one-day $19.95 per-share decline in PLNT, which is precisely the kind of market impact investors should evaluate." -- Joseph E. Levi, Esq.

Frequently Asked Questions About the PLNT Lawsuit

Q: What court was the PLNT class action filed in? A: The case was filed in the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire and asserts claims under the federal securities laws.

Q: Who are the defendants named in the PLNT lawsuit? A: The complaint names Planet Fitness, Inc. and individual defendants Colleen Keating, Chief Executive Officer and Director, and Jay Stasz, former Chief Financial Officer throughout the majority of the Class Period.

Q: What is the PLNT class action lawsuit about? A: A securities class action has been filed against Planet Fitness, Inc. (NYSE: PLNT) alleging materially false and misleading statements between November 6, 2025 and May 6, 2026. Shares fell approximately 31.19% after the Company disclosed slower net member growth, reduced 2026 guidance, withdrew its three-year growth algorithm, and paused the Black Card price rollout.

Q: What is a lead plaintiff and why does it matter? A: A lead plaintiff is the investor appointed by the court to represent the entire class. Lead plaintiffs are typically investors with the largest documented losses. Appointment gives direct oversight of how the case is run but does not increase an individual recovery.

Q: What documents should PLNT investors keep? A: Investors should keep brokerage statements or trade confirmations showing purchase dates, share quantities, prices paid, and any sale dates and sale prices.

Q: What if I already sold my PLNT shares, can I still recover losses? A: Yes. Eligibility is based on when shares were purchased and whether losses were suffered, not on whether the investor still holds the shares.

Q: Do I need to go to court or give testimony? A: No. The overwhelming majority of class members never appear in court or give testimony. If there is a settlement or recovery, eligible class members generally submit a claim form.

Q: What does it cost me to participate? A: There is no upfront cost to participate in a securities class action. These cases are generally handled on a contingency basis, and any attorneys’ fees and expenses are subject to court approval.

Korn/Ferry International (KFY) Hits Fresh High: Is There Still Room to Run?
KFY Korn Ferry
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Have you been paying attention to shares of Korn/Ferry (KFY - Free Report) ? Shares have been on the move with the stock up 10% over the past month. The stock hit a new 52-week high of $79.97 in the previous session. Korn/Ferry has gained 19.1% since the start of the year compared to the -8.7% gain for the Zacks Business Services sector and the 47.8% return for the Zacks Staffing Firms industry.

What's Driving the Outperformance? The stock has an impressive record of positive earnings surprises, having beaten the Zacks Consensus Estimate in each of the last four quarters. In its last earnings report on June 23, 2026, Korn/Ferry reported EPS of $1.4 versus consensus estimate of $1.37 while it beat the consensus revenue estimate by 2.74%.

For the current fiscal year, Korn/Ferry is expected to post earnings of $5.75 per share on $3.03 in revenues. This represents a 8.9% change in EPS on a 4.32% change in revenues. For the next fiscal year, the company is expected to earn $6.33 per share on $3.21 in revenues. This represents a year-over-year change of 10.09% and 5.77%, respectively.

Valuation MetricsThough Korn/Ferry has recently hit a 52-week high, what is next for Korn/Ferry? A key aspect of this question is taking a look at valuation metrics in order to determine if the company has run ahead of itself.

On this front, we can look at the Zacks Style Scores, as they provide investors with an additional way to sort through stocks (beyond looking at the Zacks Rank of a security). The individual style scores for Value, Growth, Momentum and the combined VGM Score run from A through F. Investors should consider the style scores a valuable tool that can help you to pick the most appropriate Zacks Rank stocks based on their individual investment style.

Korn/Ferry has a Value Score of A. The stock's Growth and Momentum Scores are B and F, respectively, giving the company a VGM Score of A.

In terms of its value breakdown, the stock currently trades at 13.7X current fiscal year EPS estimates, which is not in-line with the peer industry average of 19.2X. On a trailing cash flow basis, the stock currently trades at 10.7X versus its peer group's average of 10.8X. This is good enough to put the company in the top echelon of all stocks we cover from a value perspective, making Korn/Ferry an interesting choice for value investors.

Zacks RankWe also need to look at the Zacks Rank for the stock, as this is even more important than the company's VGM Score. Fortunately, Korn/Ferry currently has a Zacks Rank of #2 (Buy) thanks to a solid earnings estimate revision trend.

Since we recommend that investors select stocks carrying Zacks Rank of 1 (Strong Buy) or 2 (Buy) and Style Scores of A or B, it looks as if Korn/Ferry passes the test. Thus, it seems as though Korn/Ferry shares could still be poised for more gains ahead.

Implied Volatility Surging for Comstock Resources Stock Options
CRK Comstock Resources
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Investors in Comstock Resources, Inc. (CRK - Free Report) need to pay close attention to the stock based on moves in the options market lately. That is because the Nov 20, 2026 $5 Call had some of the highest implied volatility of all equity options today.

What is Implied Volatility?Implied volatility shows how much movement the market is expecting in the future. Options with high levels of implied volatility suggest that investors in the underlying stocks are expecting a big move in one direction or the other. It could also mean there is an event coming up soon that may cause a big rally or a huge sell-off. However, implied volatility is only one piece of the puzzle when putting together an options trading strategy.

What do the Analysts Think?Clearly, options traders are pricing in a big move for Comstock Resources shares, but what is the fundamental picture for the company? Currently, Comstock Resources is a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell) in the Oil and Gas - Exploration and Production - United States industry that ranks in the Bottom 19% of our Zacks Industry Rank. Over the last 30 days, one analyst has increased the earnings estimate for the current quarter, while two analysts have revised their estimates downward. The net effect has taken our Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current quarter from 4 cents per share to 2 cents in that period.

Given the way analysts feel about Comstock Resources right now, this huge implied volatility could mean there’s a trade developing. Oftentimes, options traders look for options with high levels of implied volatility to sell premium. This is a strategy many seasoned traders use because it captures decay. At expiration, the hope for these traders is that the underlying stock does not move as much as originally expected.

Fox x Sharpie Capsule Collection The Fox 2 x Sharpie shoe combines Under Armour's latest performance innovations with artwork inspired by the people, moments and memories that have shaped his journey. Graphics throughout the shoe include "Swipa," his nickname and a nod to his elite ability to steal the ball, alongside poppies honoring his daughter and a crown representing his son. Every graphic began as a Sharpie sketch before evolving into the shoe's final design, capturing the imagination and self-expression that can only begin with putting marker to paper.

"I love that this collection captures that feeling of being a kid, sketching in notebooks and letting your imagination lead the way," said Fox. "All of the Sharpie designs especially on the shoe hold a special meaning for me and represent different moments in my journey. Whether your passion is basketball, art or something completely different, the message for me with this collection is don't be afraid to express yourself and be bold in pursuing your passions."

The limited-edition Fox 2 x Sharpie shoe retails for $130 and will be available exclusively at UnderArmour.com beginning July 23. It launches alongside a limited capsule of t-shirts, hoodies, and shorts for adults and youth, each featuring hand-drawn, "Swipa"-inspired artwork.

An additional Sharpie® x Under Armour capsule will launch later this fall, spanning apparel, footwear and accessories inspired by the many ways young athletes express their creativity – from playbooks to sketchbooks.

For decades, athletes, artists and sneaker enthusiasts have reached for Sharpie to personalize everything from notebooks and posters to basketballs, jerseys and sneakers. The collection celebrates that enduring role in creative expression, inspiring fans to leave their own mark.

"Sneaker culture has always been fueled by creativity and individuality, and Sharpie has been part of that story for decades," said Kris Malkoski, President of the Learning and Development Segment at Newell Brands. "Whether you're sketching a new idea, customizing your favorite pair of sneakers or creating something entirely original, Sharpie gives people the confidence to express themselves. That's what makes this collaboration with Under Armour so exciting."

"Great performance starts with preparation, confidence and the freedom to express yourself," said Yuron White, SVP, GM of Sportswear and Collabs at Under Armour. "This collection celebrates those qualities through De'Aaron's story. It's a celebration of the creativity that's often part of every athlete's journey long before the spotlight."
