3 Drone Tech Stocks to Keep an Eye on as Adoption Picks Up Pace
RTX RTX Corporation
FMP Stock News
Original source text
An updated edition of the May 27, 2026 article.

The global drone technology market is entering a new phase of accelerated adoption, driven by technology advancements and expanding usage in commercial applications.

The embedding of AI has made modern drones faster and more versatile than ever. AI incorporation is driving the autonomous navigation functionality of drones, enabling them to autonomously plan their flight paths based on real-time data, such as environmental terrain. The integration of 5G and advanced Wi-Fi technology has improved real-time data transmission, expanding commercial applications.

Consequently, drones are now becoming indispensable across various industries. Drones have become integral to various sectors like mining, infrastructure monitoring, real estate, oil and gas exploration, and even filmmaking. From aerial photography and agricultural mapping to data collection and operations across sectors, drones are transforming how businesses operate. Drones are gaining momentum in last-mile delivery operations as companies look to cut operational costs and enhance productivity.

Retail behemoths like Walmart and Amazon are increasingly deploying drones in logistics. Amazon uses drone delivery to deliver one package (up to five pounds) in less than an hour during daylight hours. Meanwhile, public safety and disaster response sectors are using drones for surveillance and search-and-rescue missions. The usage of drone swarms is being extensively explored for tasks like large-area surveillance and search-and-rescue.

Still, the defense segment continues to serve as the key growth engine. The growing geopolitical strains and defense upgrades are driving increased drone adoption worldwide. Globally, drones are now being widely deployed for border security, precision strikes, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (“ISR”) and other tactical operations, making them indispensable assets in modern warfare.

With regulatory frameworks evolving and military and commercial adoption gaining pace, the drone sector has a long runway for growth. The drone market is expected to witness a CAGR of 9.34% from 2026 to 2031, according to a report from Mordor Intelligence.

If you are looking to capitalize on this trend, our Drone Technology Screen makes it easy to identify high-potential stocks, such as Red Cat Holdings (RCAT - Free Report) , RTX Corporation (RTX - Free Report) and Ondas Inc (ONDS - Free Report) .

Explore 39 cutting-edge investment themes with Zacks Thematic Investing Screens and uncover your next big opportunity.

3 Drone Tech Stocks in FocusRed Cat Holdings specializes in robotic hardware-software integration for applications for military and commercial uses. Teal Drones and FlightWave Aerospace are two of its wholly-owned affiliates. Its portfolio also includes Black Widow (small, unmanned aircraft systems), TRICHON (a hybrid VTOL) and FANG, an NDAA-compliant FPV drone. It recently introduced Hellcat, a dual-use small unmanned aircraft system based on the Black Widow platform.

On the last earnings call, management highlighted that the Defense Autonomous Warfare Group is expected to allocate $54 billion (which could reach as much as $74 billion) toward drones, drone dominance and counter-drone systems starting in 2027, with funding visibility beginning within months. Additionally, a $156 billion defense reconciliation bill for 2025 is now being rapidly deployed in 2026, with only $30 billion obligated as of April, implying a significant ramp in spending over the near term. This creates a powerful demand tailwind for RCAT’s portfolio.

Given these, the company expects $150-$180 million in annual revenues in the near to medium term. The gross margins are expected to approach 30% over time. Red Cat delivered $15.5 million in revenues in the first quarter, marking an 849% year-over-year increase.

Earlier this month, RCAT announced that Teal Drones has moved to Gauntlet II of the Drone Dominance Program.

RCAT’s expansion into USVs via Blue Ops adds a significant new revenue stream with an expected $150 million sales potential in 2026. It recently acquired Quaze Technologies Inc, which specializes in wireless power transfer technology for unmanned and autonomous systems. RCAT carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) at present.

RTX Corporation is a major aerospace and defense player and represents a more diversified way to enhance exposure to the drone technology space. The company delivers advanced systems and services for commercial, military, and government clients through its Collins Aerospace (Collins), Pratt & Whitney and Raytheon business segments.

Its exposure to the drone market is primarily driven by its strength in counter-drone systems. On the last earnings call, RTX emphasized that the current geopolitical landscape is driving increased demand for munitions, integrated air and missile defense technology, and advanced capabilities to deal with threats. Management highlighted the increasing demand for its Coyote counter-UAS system.

It has demonstrated a non-kinetic version of the Coyote, which reflects the industry’s shift toward more cost-effective and reusable systems. Unlike traditional interceptors, this version can complete a mission, return, be recharged, and redeployed, making it well-suited for sustained operations.

The company noted strong global interest, including a recently approved Coyote system deal with the UAE, underscoring the export potential of its C-UAS portfolio. RTX currently carries a Zacks Rank #2.

Ondas is rapidly scaling its Ondas Autonomous Systems (“OAS”) business, which has quickly become a multi-domain autonomy platform spanning ISR, C-UAS, loitering munitions/strike systems, unmanned ground vehicles and stratospheric sensing via World View acquisition.

The company has accomplished this broad portfolio through focused M&A activity. The company recently announced the acquisition of DZYNE Technologies for $875.8 million. DZYNE will expand ONDS’ reach across c-UAS, multi-domain ISR, precision strike and mission intelligence and autonomous systems. Both World View and DZYNE will operate within the company’s newly launched business division, Ondas Sentinel.

Following this development, Ondas now expects 2026 revenue to be at least $525 million from the previous forecast of $390 million. The increase also reflects contributions from Omnisys. DZYNE is expected to contribute approximately $191 million in revenue in 2026 and more than $300 million in 2027.

In June 2026, ONDS announced the $125 million acquisition of Cyberhawk, a provider of drone-based infrastructure inspection and AI-powered asset intelligence.

Beyond these acquisitions, the company had completed five acquisitions (World View, INDO Earth, Rotron Aerospace, Bird Aero and Mistral Inc) alone in the first quarter of 2026. In the past year, it has acquired Sentrycs, Apeiro Motion and Zickel, among others. Ondas now operates in more than 45 countries with over 1,000 employees globally.

However, extensive M&A amplifies risks, as so many acquisitions in such a short period can create integration overload and execution risks, as achieving targets depends on timely integration and conversion of backlog into revenues. ONDS carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) at present.

Here's Why Morgan Stanley (MS) is a Strong Growth Stock
MS Morgan Stanley
FMP Stock News
Original source text
It doesn't matter your age or experience: taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals for all investors. Luckily, Zacks Premium offers several different ways to do both.

The research service features daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, full access to the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens, all of which will help you become a smarter, more confident investor.

Zacks Premium includes access to the Zacks Style Scores as well.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores is a unique set of guidelines that rates stocks based on three popular investing types, and were developed as complementary indicators for the Zacks Rank. This combination helps investors choose securities with the highest chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.

Based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics, each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F. The better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform; an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on.

The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:

Value ScoreFinding good stocks at good prices, and discovering which companies are trading under their true value, are what value investors like to focus on. So, the Value Style Score takes into account ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and a host of other multiples to highlight the most attractive and discounted stocks.

Growth ScoreGrowth investors, on the other hand, are more concerned with a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score examines things like projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks that will experience sustainable growth over time.

Momentum ScoreMomentum investors, who live by the saying "the trend is your friend," are most interested in taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Utilizing one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, among other factors, the Momentum Style Score can help determine favorable times to buy high-momentum stocks.

VGM ScoreWhat if you like to use all three types of investing? The VGM Score is a combination of all Style Scores, making it one of the most comprehensive indicators to use with the Zacks Rank. It rates each stock on their combined weighted styles, which helps narrow down the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum.

How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank A proprietary stock-rating model, the Zacks Rank utilizes the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings outlook, to help investors create a successful portfolio.

It's highly successful, with #1 (Strong Buy) stocks producing an unmatched +23.94% average annual return since 1988. That's more than double the S&P 500. But because of the large number of stocks we rate, there are over 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, plus another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.

This totals more than 800 top-rated stocks, and it can be overwhelming to try and pick the best stocks for you and your portfolio.

That's where the Style Scores come in.

You want to make sure you're buying stocks with the highest likelihood of success, and to do that, you'll need to pick stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B. If you like a stock that only has a #3 (Hold) rank, it should also have Scores of A or B to guarantee as much upside potential as possible.

Since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank, the direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy.

Here's an example: a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one with Style Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings outlook, and a bigger chance its share price will decrease too.

Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

Stock to Watch: Morgan Stanley (MS - Free Report) Founded in 1935 and incorporated under the laws of the State of Delaware in 1981, Morgan Stanley is the leading financial services holding company headquartered in New York. With 83,922 employees, the company serves a diversified group of clients and customers — including corporations, governments, financial institutions and individuals — through offices across 41 countries.

MS is a #3 (Hold) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of B.

Additionally, the company could be a top pick for growth investors. MS has a Growth Style Score of B, forecasting year-over-year earnings growth of 22.9% for the current fiscal year.

Eight analysts revised their earnings estimate higher in the last 60 days for fiscal 2026, while the Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.70 to $12.55 per share. MS also boasts an average earnings surprise of +19.4%.

With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Growth and VGM Style Scores, MS should be on investors' short list.

Original source text
San Diego, California--(Newsfile Corp. - July 20, 2026) - Robbins LLP reminds stockholders that a class action was filed on behalf of all investors who purchased or otherwise acquired Intuit Inc. (NASDAQ: INTU) securities between August 22, 2025 and May 20, 2026. Intuit provides financial management, payments and capital, compliance, and marketing products and services in the U.S.

What is the class period? August 22, 2025 – May 20, 2026

What are the allegations? Robbins LLP is Investigating Allegations that Intuit Inc. (INTU) Misled Investors Regarding the Company's Sustainability and Growth

According to the complaint, during the class period, defendants failed to disclose to investors that: (i) they had overstated Intuit's competitive advantages and growth, as well as the overall strength and sustainability of its business model and operations; (ii) in reality, Intuit was losing significant business in its tax-related business, particularly in its Turbo Tax business, as a result of, inter alia, increasing competitive and pricing pressures; and (iii) accordingly, Intuit's previously issued FY 2026 TurboTax revenue growth guidance was unreliable and/or unrealistic.

Plaintiff alleges that the truth began to emerge on May 20, 2026, when Reuters published an article entitled "Intuit to cut 17% of global jobs to streamline operations, memo shows". Citing an internal Company memorandum and email from defendant Sasan K. Goodarzi, Intuit's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, to staff earlier in the day, the article reported that "Intuit . . . is laying off about 17% of its workforce, or about 3,000 employees worldwide, to streamline operations and sharpen focus on its key bets including its AI efforts[.]" The article further revealed that Intuit "is also winding down its Reno and Woodland Hills offices as part of a strategic restructuring to consolidate teams in key hubs, according to the memo." On this news, Intuit's stock price fell $15.78 per share, or 3.95%, to close at $383.93 per share on May 20, 2026.

The same day, during post-market hours, Intuit announced disappointing fiscal third quarter 2026 results. Following the news, Intuit's stock price fell $76.86 per share, or 20.02%, to close at $307.07 per share on May 21, 2026.

INTU DEADLINE: Levi & Korsinsky Reminds Intuit Inc. Investors of Upcoming Securities Class Action Deadline
INTU Intuit
FMP Stock News
Original source text
NEW YORK, July 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Levi & Korsinsky, LLP alerts investors in Intuit Inc. (NASDAQ: INTU) of a pending securities class action. Class Period: August 22, 2025 through May 20, 2026. Check if you might be eligible to recover your investment losses or contact Joseph E. Levi, Esq. at [email protected] | (212) 363-7500.

The securities action asserts that Intuit management repeatedly touted the integration of artificial intelligence as a driver of "breakthrough adoption" and companywide "momentum," while the underlying TurboTax business model was allegedly degrading among price-sensitive consumers. The Court has set September 8, 2026 as the deadline to apply for lead plaintiff appointment.

The Alleged AI-Momentum Concentration

As alleged, throughout the Class Period the Company presented AI as evidence of durable competitive advantages positioning it for "sustained growth for years to come." The action claims that these representations obscured mounting competitive and pricing pressures within the TurboTax segment, particularly among do-it-yourself filers earning less than $50,000 a year.

What Management Allegedly Knew

The lawsuit asserts that while the Company reiterated its optimistic AI narrative, its most price-sensitive customer base was eroding. The action contends that public statements about "breakthrough adoption in assisted tax" and companywide momentum did not reflect the reality that the business was losing significant ground to competitors on price.

AI Adoption Trends in the DIY Tax Market

The Company characterized AI integration as a source of "significant competitive advantage" and a foundation for "durable growth"Marketing efforts targeted mid-funnel and price-sensitive consumers, including Gen Z filers, through platform-optimized campaignsThe complaint alleges that AI -focused growth narrative failed to disclose declining demand among lower-income, price-sensitive DIY filersTurboTax online paying units were later expected to grow by only 2%, far below the momentum narrativeThe action claims the broader Consumer platform was being repositioned to "monetize beyond tax" precisely because the core tax model was under strain
Why AI-Growth Adequacy Allegedly Matters to Investors

The lawsuit alleges that investors relied on Intuit’s representations that AI-driven initiatives would support continued TurboTax growth. When Intuit reduced its TurboTax growth outlook to approximately 7%, the action alleges that the disclosure revealed a gap between the Company’s AI-driven growth narrative and underlying business trends.

"Investors deserve transparency about material risks that could affect their investments, particularly when a company frames artificial intelligence as a driver of growth while allegedly failing to disclose adverse trends affecting its core customer base.” -- Joseph E. Levi, Esq.

Frequently Asked Questions About the INTU Lawsuit

Q: Who is eligible to join the INTU investor lawsuit? A: Investors who purchased INTU stock or securities between August 22, 2025 and May 20, 2026 and suffered financial losses may be eligible. Eligibility is based on purchase date and documented losses -- not on whether you still hold the shares.

Q: What specific misstatements does the INTU lawsuit allege? A: The complaint alleges Intuit made materially false or misleading statements regarding its competitive advantages, AI-driven growth, and the sustainability of its TurboTax business during the Class Period. When Intuit disclosed weaker-than-expected tax-season results, reduced its TurboTax growth outlook, and announced a workforce reduction affecting approximately 3,000 positions, the stock price declined sharply.

Q: What is the INTU lead plaintiff deadline? A: The deadline to apply for lead plaintiff appointment is September 8, 2026. This deadline applies only to investors seeking to serve as lead plaintiff. Class members who do not apply may still participate in any recovery without taking action before this date.

Q: What if I already sold my INTU shares -- can I still recover losses? A: Yes. Eligibility is based on when you purchased, not whether you still hold the shares. Investors who bought during the Class Period and sold at a loss may still be eligible to participate.

Q: What if my INTU losses are small -- is it still worth contacting a lawyer? A: Yes. There is no minimum loss amount required to participate as a class member.

No upfront fees, no retainer, and no out-of-pocket costs. Any attorneys' fees and expenses awarded to class counsel are subject to court approval.

Q: What do INTU investors need to do right now? A: Investors may gather brokerage records showing purchase dates, share quantities, and prices paid. Here's Why Intuit (INTU) is a Strong Value Stock

Taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals for new and old investors, and Zacks Premium offers many different ways to do both.

Featuring daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, full access to the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens, the research service can help you become a smarter, more self-assured investor.

Zacks Premium also includes the Zacks Style Scores.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores, developed alongside the Zacks Rank, are complementary indicators that rate stocks based on three widely-followed investing methodologies; they also help investors pick stocks with the best chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.

Each stock is given an alphabetic rating of A, B, C, D or F based on their value, growth, and momentum qualities. With this system, an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on, meaning the better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform.

The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:

Value ScoreFor value investors, it's all about finding good stocks at good prices, and discovering which companies are trading under their true value before the broader market catches on. The Value Style Score utilizes ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and a host of other multiples to help pick out the most attractive and discounted stocks.

Growth ScoreWhile good value is important, growth investors are more focused on a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score takes projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow into account to uncover stocks that will see long-term, sustainable growth.

VGM ScoreIf you want a combination of all three Style Scores, then the VGM Score will be your friend. It rates each stock on their combined weighted styles, helping you find the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum. It's also one of the best indicators to use with the Zacks Rank.

How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank The Zacks Rank, which is a proprietary stock-rating model, employs earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings expectations, to make building a winning portfolio easier.

Investors can count on the Zacks Rank's success, with #1 (Strong Buy) stocks producing an unmatched +23.94% average annual return since 1988, more than double the S&P 500's performance. But the model rates a large number of stocks, and there are over 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, plus another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.

But it can feel overwhelming to pick the right stocks for you and your investing goals with over 800 top-rated stocks to choose from.

That's where the Style Scores come in.

To maximize your returns, you want to buy stocks with the highest probability of success. This means picking stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B. If you find yourself looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, make sure they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.

Since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank, the direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy.

For instance, a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one that boasts Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings forecast, and a much greater likelihood its share price will decline as well.

Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

Intuit's TurboTax Live Is Thriving: Can It Offset DIY Choppiness?
INTU Intuit
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Intuit lost DIY customers after its pricing fell short for filers earning less than $50,000 annually.INTU plans simpler products and more competitive pricing to rebuild its DIY tax user base.Intuit aims to grow revenues through Credit Karma and financial services alongside tax products. Intuit Inc.'s (INTU - Free Report) latest tax season highlights a major shift in its TurboTax business. While TurboTax Live continues to post impressive growth, the company's lower-priced DIY tax products lost customers as price-sensitive filers turned to competing options.

The standout performer was TurboTax Live, Intuit's assisted tax offering that combines AI-powered tools with access to human tax experts. The company expects TurboTax Live revenues to climb 36% to nearly $2.8 billion in fiscal 2026, with customer growth of 38%. Live is also projected to account for about 53% of total TurboTax revenues, underscoring how assisted tax preparation has become the company's primary growth engine.

However, the picture is less encouraging for DIY tax filing. Intuit expects total TurboTax Online units to decline about 2% after admitting it "lost on price" among customers earning less than $50,000 annually. Management acknowledged that its pricing strategy was not competitive enough for budget-conscious users, leading to lower e-file market share and fewer free users entering the TurboTax ecosystem.

To address the weakness, Intuit plans to introduce more competitive pricing and simpler product options for basic tax filers. At the same time, it aims to generate more value through Credit Karma, refund products and other financial services rather than relying solely on tax-preparation fees. Customers using both TurboTax and Credit Karma already generate about 30% more revenues, giving Intuit a strong incentive to rebuild its DIY user base while continuing to expand its higher-margin assisted tax business.

How Are Intuit’s Competitors Faring?H&R Block (HRB - Free Report) reported third-quarter fiscal 2026 revenues of $2.4 billion, up 5.3% year over year, driven by higher pricing and volume in U.S. assisted tax preparation. Its assisted-channel market share improved for a third consecutive year, while net income increased 17.4%, indicating healthy demand for expert-led filing services and support.

Paychex’s (PAYX - Free Report) tax-related business, included in its Management Solutions segment (payroll processing, tax filing and compliance), delivered strong momentum in third-quarter fiscal 2026, with revenues rising 23% year over year to $1.4 billion. Growth was driven by higher client volumes, increased revenue per client and sustained demand for payroll tax compliance services, supported by the Paycor acquisition.

INTU’s Price Performance, Valuation and EstimatesShares of Intuit have risen 12.9% over the past month, outperforming both the broader industry and the S&P 500 composite.

In terms of forward 12-month Price/Sales (P/S), Intuit is currently trading at 3.35X, which is at a discount to the industry average of 5.18X.

Intuit’s estimate revisions reflect a positive trend. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for fiscal 2026 EPS has been revised upward by a cent over the past month. The consensus mark for 2026 calls for 18.4% growth year over year.

Insights Into Lockheed (LMT) Q2: Wall Street Projections for Key Metrics
LMT Lockheed Martin
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Wall Street analysts forecast that Lockheed Martin (LMT - Free Report) will report quarterly earnings of $7.28 per share in its upcoming release, pointing to a year-over-year decline of 0.1%. It is anticipated that revenues will amount to $19.52 billion, exhibiting an increase of 7.5% compared to the year-ago quarter.

The current level reflects an upward revision of 0.8% in the consensus EPS estimate for the quarter over the past 30 days. This demonstrates how the analysts covering the stock have collectively reappraised their initial projections over this period.

Prior to a company's earnings release, it is of utmost importance to factor in any revisions made to the earnings projections. These revisions serve as a critical gauge for predicting potential investor behaviors with respect to the stock. Empirical studies consistently reveal a strong link between trends in earnings estimate revisions and the short-term price performance of a stock.

While investors usually depend on consensus earnings and revenue estimates to assess the business performance for the quarter, delving into analysts' forecasts for certain key metrics often provides a more comprehensive understanding.

Bearing this in mind, let's now explore the average estimates of specific Lockheed metrics that are commonly monitored and projected by Wall Street analysts.

The collective assessment of analysts points to an estimated 'Sales- Aeronautics' of $7.72 billion. The estimate indicates a change of +4.1% from the prior-year quarter.

The consensus estimate for 'Sales- Rotary and Mission Systems' stands at $4.41 billion. The estimate indicates a change of +10.4% from the prior-year quarter.

The consensus among analysts is that 'Sales- Missiles and Fire Control' will reach $4.05 billion. The estimate indicates a year-over-year change of +18%.

Based on the collective assessment of analysts, 'Sales- Space' should arrive at $3.49 billion. The estimate points to a change of +5.7% from the year-ago quarter.

According to the collective judgment of analysts, 'Operating profit (loss)- Space' should come in at $351.47 million. Compared to the present estimate, the company reported $362.00 million in the same quarter last year.

Analysts expect 'Operating profit (loss)- Missiles and Fire Control' to come in at $567.20 million. The estimate is in contrast to the year-ago figure of $479.00 million.

Key Takeaways Lockheed Martin is expected to post higher Q2 revenues, supported by strong defense demand.LMT may benefit from higher missile and aircraft deliveries, though margin recovery is expected later in 2026.LMT trades at a valuation discount to its industry, supported by healthy liquidity and long-term demand. Lockheed Martin (LMT - Free Report) is expected to report second-quarter 2026 results on July 23, before market open.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings is pegged at $7.28 per share, indicating a year-over-year decline of 0.14%. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues is pinned at $19.52 billion, indicating growth of 7.54% from the year-ago reported figure.

LMT’s Earnings Surprise HistoryThe company beat on earnings in three of the trailing four quarters and missed in one, delivering an average surprise of 9.44%.

What Our Quantitative Model PredictsOur proven model does not predict an earnings beat for Lockheed Martin this time around. The combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold) increases the odds of an earnings beat, which is not the case here as you will see below.

Earnings ESP: The company’s Earnings ESP is -2.33%. You can uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they’re reported with our Earnings ESP Filter.

Zacks Rank: Currently, Lockheed Martin carries a Zacks Rank #2. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks #1 Rank stocks here.

Stocks Worth a LookSome stocks from the industry that have the combination of factors indicating an earnings beat are RTX Corporation (RTX - Free Report) and Northrop Grumman (NOC - Free Report) . RTX and Northrop Grumman have an Earnings ESP of +2.02% and +0.22%, respectively. RTX has a Zacks Rank #2 and NOC carries a Zacks Rank #3 at present.

Factors That Might Have Impacted LMT’s Q2 PerformanceLockheed Martin entered the second quarter with robust demand across nearly all of its core franchises, positioning the company for sequential revenue growth following the first quarter. Management noted that first-quarter sales were partly affected by a shortened fiscal period and timing-related factors and expects sales to have rebounded in the second quarter.

The Missiles and Fire Control segment is expected to have remained a key growth driver as Lockheed Martin continues to ramp up production of high-demand missile programs, including PAC-3, JASSM, LRASM, and Precision Strike Missile (PrSM). The company has already increased PAC-3 production by more than 60% over the past two years and expects output to accelerate further as new production facilities become operational.

LMT’s Aeronautics unit is likely to have shown improvement relative to the first quarter as several temporary execution issues began to normalize. The company indicated that flight-test issues affecting the new F-16 configuration had been resolved and deliveries had resumed. In addition, C-130 deliveries resumed following the resolution of supplier-related disruptions. These improvements should have enhanced profitability in the to-be-reported quarter.

The company’s second-quarter results are expected to benefit from continued U.S. government and allied support for defense spending — particularly in missile defense, air dominance, and space systems.

Strong backlog and demand momentum are expected to boost second-quarter results. The backlog is supported by sustained global defense demand, particularly for flagship programs like the F-35, missile systems (PAC-3, THAAD), and space-based capabilities. As a result, second-quarter performance might have benefited from ongoing conversion of this backlog into revenues.

Margin recovery across the company is expected to be gradual rather than immediate. Management stated that the most significant margin improvements are anticipated in the second half of 2026, as production milestones are achieved and program risks are retired. Consequently, second-quarter profitability might have remained below historical levels despite improving revenues.

LMT Stock Price PerformanceIn the past three months, the stock has lost 11% compared with the industry’s decline of 0.5%.

LMT Stock Trading at a DiscountLockheed Martin is currently trading at a discount compared to its industry on a forward 12-month P/S basis.

RTX is trading at a premium compared to its industry on a forward 12-month P/S basis. Northrop Grumman is trading at a discount compared to its industry on a forward 12-month P/S basis.

LMT Stock’s LiquidityThe company’s current ratio is 1.14 compared with the industry’s average of 1.12. The ratio of more than one suggests a healthy liquidity position where the business can meet its immediate financial obligations without selling long-term assets.

Investment ThesisLockheed Martin is well positioned for sustained long-term growth, supported by strong demand across its core defense franchises and a substantial backlog that provides excellent revenue visibility. The company continues to win contracts for flagship programs such as the F-35 Lightning II, integrated missile defense systems, military helicopters, and precision-guided munitions, driving growth across its business segments. In addition, rising defense budgets among the U.S. and allied nations, coupled with increasing international demand for advanced military capabilities, create a favorable environment for continued revenue expansion, healthy backlog growth, and resilient cash flow generation.

However, Lockheed Martin continues to face execution risk on several complex fixed-price development programs, where production delays, technical challenges, and cost overruns can pressure profitability.

End NoteLMT benefits from its broad portfolio of advanced defense systems, which helps secure major contracts and maintain a strong order backlog. Key programs across space, aeronautics and naval defense continue to support growth.

Given its attractive valuation, revenue growth and strong liquidity, investors might consider adding LMT stock to their portfolios right now.

Q2 Earnings Step Up, Markets Look to Break Losing Streak
LMT Lockheed Martin

Key Takeaways Stock Market Indexes Hope to Snap Recent Losses TodayFew Econ Reports Scheduled, but Q2 Earnings Pick Up PaceDomino's Mixed on Q2, but Shares Up Monday, July 20th, 2026

We take a break this week from major economic prints, focusing instead on Q2 earnings season, which shifts to a faster gear this week. Major indexes, off more losses on Friday — between -0.77% (Dow) and -1.4% (Nasdaq) — are all down month to date thus far, with the Dow looking to break a three-week losing streak.

Presently, the Dow is up +80 points, with the S&P 500 +32 and the tech-strong Nasdaq +270. The small-cap Russell 2000 is +6 points at this hour. Spot oil prices are up into the $80s per barrel on the continued conflict in and around Iran, although the Islamic nation did bring up the possibility of a peace deal being reached with the U.S. again this morning. Bond yields are at +4.57% on the 10-year and +4.20% on the 2-year.

Domino’s Mixed in Q2, Shares Up in Pre-Market
Quick-service restaurant (QSR) giant Domino’s Pizza (DPZ - Free Report) reported mixed Q2 results this morning. Earnings of $4.07 per share came in 4 cents shy of the Zacks consensus, while revenues of $1.19 billion in the quarter improved over the $1.17 billion anticipated. It’s the third-straight earnings miss for Domino’s, but shares are up +6% at this hour in pre-market trading.

Beneath the headlines, Domino’s numbers look a little nicer: while same-store sales grew only +0.1%, below expectations, supply chain revenues grew +6.5%, indicating renewing growth. Another 209 stores were opened over the past quarter, 26 in the U.S. Importantly, Domino’s shares have sold off -22% year to date, so some investors see a bargain at these levels.

Leading Economic Indicators After Today’s OpenThe June print on U.S. Leading Economic Indicators (LEI) is expected to tick down for the first time in three months after today’s open, to 0.0% from +0.1% reported for May. These gains were entirely from improvements in the Finance sector, between stock market gains and high interest rates. Nevertheless, we appear to be clear of the trough LEI numbers were wallowing in a year ago: between May and November 2025, U.S. LEI clocked -1.3% negative growth.

4 High Cash-Producing AI Chip Stocks to Buy Amid Market Uncertainties
AVGO Broadcom
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Micron, Texas Instruments, NVIDIA and Broadcom stand out for strong AI exposure and cash generation.Micron posted $29.9B in trailing free cash flow as HBM demand stayed sold out through calendar year 2026.Texas Instruments, Broadcom and NVIDIA generated trailing 12M FCF of $4.4B, $32.8B and $119B, respectively. The stock market has remained highly volatile throughout 2026 as investors continue to deal with a challenging macroeconomic backdrop. Geopolitical tensions, ongoing wars, tariff-related uncertainties, elevated fuel prices, persistent inflation and still-high interest rates have created a difficult environment for equities.

Semiconductor stocks, despite being at the center of the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution, have also witnessed sharp swings as investors worry about whether massive AI infrastructure spending by hyperscalers will generate returns quickly enough to justify current investment levels.

During such uncertain periods, companies with strong cash-generating abilities tend to stand out. Robust free cash flow provides businesses with the financial flexibility to continue investing in research and development, expand manufacturing capacity, repurchase shares, raise dividends and pursue strategic acquisitions without relying heavily on external financing. It also creates a cushion against economic slowdowns and tighter credit conditions.

The AI boom has dramatically strengthened the financial position of several leading chipmakers. Surging demand for AI accelerators, high-bandwidth memory (HBM), networking chips and data center infrastructure has fueled record revenues and profitability. As a result, these companies are producing billions of dollars in cash every quarter, reinforcing their competitive advantages while rewarding shareholders.

Against this backdrop, investors looking to navigate ongoing market uncertainties should focus on financially strong AI chip leaders. Micron Technology, Inc. (MU - Free Report) , Texas Instruments Incorporated (TXN - Free Report) , NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA - Free Report) and Broadcom Inc. (AVGO - Free Report) combine powerful AI-driven growth opportunities with impressive cash generation, making them well-positioned to outperform when market sentiment improves. These stocks have a favorable combination of a Growth Score of A or B and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) or #2 (Buy), offering solid investment opportunities.

Our PicksMicron Technology has emerged as one of the biggest beneficiaries of the AI infrastructure buildout. The rapid adoption of generative AI has significantly increased demand for HBM and high-capacity DRAM, where Micron Technology has strengthened its technology leadership. Its HBM products have been sold out through calendar year 2026, reflecting exceptionally strong customer demand from leading AI accelerator manufacturers.

The company has also benefited from improving pricing across the broader memory market following the industry's recovery from the previous downturn. Higher average selling prices, disciplined industry supply and increasing AI server deployments have driven strong revenue growth and expanding margins. In the last reported results for the third quarter of fiscal 2026, Micron Technology’s revenues and non-GAAP earnings per share (EPS) surged 346% and 1,215%, respectively, year over year.

This massive growth has translated into substantial free cash flow generation, enabling Micron Technology to increase manufacturing investments while returning substantial cash to shareholders. The company generated adjusted free cash flow of $18.3 billion in the third quarter and $29.9 billion in the trailing 12 months.

Currently, Micron Technology sports a Zacks Rank #1 and has a Growth Score of A. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank stocks here.

Texas Instruments’ analog and embedded semiconductor portfolio makes it a critical supplier across industrial, automotive and communications markets. AI-enabled factories, robotics, electric vehicles and intelligent power systems all require the company's analog chips and embedded processors.

Texas Instruments has consistently generated strong operating cash flows through business cycles due to its diversified customer base, long product lifecycles and efficient manufacturing strategy. The company's ownership of internal manufacturing facilities provides better cost control while supporting long-term profitability.

In the first quarter of 2026, Texas Instruments’ revenues and non-GAAP EPS jumped 19% and 31%, respectively, year over year. The company generated $1.4 billion of free cash flow in the first quarter and $4.4 billion in the trailing 12 months.

Texas Instruments sports a Zacks Rank #1 at present and has a Growth Score of B.

NVIDIA remains the undisputed leader in AI computing. Its graphics processing units (GPUs) have become the standard platform for training and deploying large language models, making the company the biggest beneficiary of surging AI infrastructure spending by hyperscalers, cloud providers and enterprises.

The company's Blackwell platform has attracted extraordinary customer demand as organizations race to build next-generation AI data centers. Beyond GPUs, NVIDIA continues expanding its ecosystem through networking, AI software, enterprise platforms and accelerated computing solutions, creating multiple long-term growth engines. The company’s first-quarter fiscal 2027 revenues surged 85% year over year, while non-GAAP EPS jumped 140%.

Explosive revenue growth has resulted in enormous free cash flow generation, allowing NVIDIA to invest heavily in research, expand product development and return significant capital to shareholders. The company generated free cash flow of $48.6 billion in the first quarter of fiscal 2026 and approximately $119 billion in the trailing 12 months.

NVIDIA carries a Zacks Rank #2 at present and has a Growth Score of A.

Broadcom has successfully transformed itself into one of the most diversified AI infrastructure companies. While its custom AI accelerators have become a major growth driver, the company also benefits from strong demand for AI networking chips that help connect thousands of GPUs inside massive data centers.

Its custom silicon business continues gaining momentum as several hyperscale cloud companies develop proprietary AI chips to complement commercially available accelerators. This creates a long runway for sustained semiconductor revenue growth for the company. In the second quarter of fiscal 2026, revenues and non-GAAP EPS surged 48% and 54%, respectively, year over year.

Broadcom's software business, strengthened by the VMware acquisition, further diversifies cash flows while generating recurring revenues. The combination of semiconductor leadership and enterprise software has significantly boosted free cash flow generation. The company generated free cash flow of $10.3 billion in the second quarter of fiscal 2026 and approximately $32.8 billion in the trailing 12 months.

Broadcom carries a Zacks Rank #2 at present and has a Growth Score of B.

Broadcom stock gains 2% today: here's why
AVGO Broadcom
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Broadcom AVGO stock rose 2% on Monday after Morgan Stanley reiterated its overweight rating on the semiconductor company and Nvidia, highlighting both stocks as preferred ways to gain exposure to the artificial intelligence infrastructure buildout.

The brokerage said memory-related opportunities were improving but maintained that Nvidia and Broadcom continue to offer the most attractive risk-reward profile within its semiconductor coverage universe.

“This remains an unusual memory cycle, as data center strength is the only cause – which means that as we saw in April there are mixed signals elsewhere that may be a false flag. Memory isn’t the best risk reward in our coverage – which we think is NVDA/ AVGO – but it’s catching up fast.”

In a previous research note, Morgan Stanley addressed concerns that MediaTek could meaningfully reduce Broadcom’s role in supplying Google’s tensor processing units (TPUs).

Analyst Joseph Moore told investors that the firm expects Broadcom to retain roughly 80% of Google's TPU share over time, arguing that projections calling for a major loss of market share are premature.

The brokerage stated that “MediaTek participation is real, but not disruptive,” drawing comparisons to concerns raised last year over Marvell and Alchip's involvement in Amazon's Trainium chip program.

While Morgan Stanley acknowledged that MediaTek has a credible opportunity due to Google's focus on cost efficiency and supplier diversification, it argued that achieving significant cost savings may prove difficult.

The firm pointed to Broadcom's existing high-bandwidth memory supply agreements and highlighted execution risks tied to MediaTek's packaging approach.

According to Morgan Stanley, its Taiwan semiconductor team continues to expect MediaTek to rely on CoWoS packaging capacity for 2-nanometer TPU production, while EMIB packaging technology remains largely unproven at the scale required by Google.

The investment bank estimated that Broadcom could generate approximately $120 billion in AI revenue in fiscal 2027.

Of that total, TPU-related revenue is projected to contribute around $80 billion.

However, the firm expects TPU's share of Broadcom's AI business to decline to roughly 60% over time as additional application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) customers scale their deployments.

Broadcom's AI growth prospects are being complemented by continued strength in its relationship with Apple.

Earlier this month, Broadcom extended its long-standing partnership with Apple through 2031 under a new multi-year agreement that expands collaboration on custom silicon products.

The deal provides Broadcom with greater long-term revenue visibility from one of its most important customers.

Analysts estimate that Apple accounts for approximately 20% of Broadcom's annual revenue.

Broadcom has supplied Apple with critical wireless and networking components for years, including radio frequency chips that support cellular connectivity, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chips used across Apple's device ecosystem.

Although Apple has increasingly developed chips internally, including its C1 modem, the company continues to rely on Broadcom for several key wireless and radio-frequency technologies.

The renewed agreement builds on a multibillion-dollar partnership announced in 2023 under which Broadcom agreed to develop and manufacture 5G radio frequency components for Apple.

Don't Overlook Fastenal (FAST) International Revenue Trends While Assessing the Stock
FAST Fastenal
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Did you analyze how Fastenal (FAST - Free Report) fared in its international operations for the quarter ending June 2026? Given the widespread global presence of this maker of industrial and construction fasteners, scrutinizing the trends in international revenues becomes imperative to assess its financial strength and future growth possibilities.

In the modern, closely-knit global economic landscape, the capacity of a business to access foreign markets is often a key determinant of its financial well-being and growth path. Investors now place great importance on grasping the extent of a company's dependence on international markets, as it sheds light on the firm's earnings stability, its skill in leveraging various economic cycles and its broad growth potential.

Participation in global economies acts as a defense against economic difficulties at home and a pathway to more rapidly developing economies. However, it also comes with the complexities of dealing with fluctuating currencies, geopolitical risks and different market dynamics.

While delving into FAST's performance for the past quarter, we observed some fascinating trends in the revenue from its foreign segments that are commonly modeled and observed by analysts on Wall Street.

For the quarter, the company's total revenue amounted to $2.39 billion, experiencing an increase of 14.7% year over year. Next, we'll explore the breakdown of FAST's international revenue to understand the importance of its overseas business operations.

Trends in FAST's Revenue from International MarketsOf the total revenue, $83.4 million came from Other foreign countries during the last fiscal quarter, accounting for 3.5%. This represented a surprise of +16.14% as analysts had expected the region to contribute $71.81 million to the total revenue. In comparison, the region contributed $79.1 million, or 3.6%, and $66.1 million, or 3.2%, to total revenue in the previous and year-ago quarters, respectively.

During the quarter, Canada and Mexico contributed $333.7 million in revenue, making up 14% of the total revenue. When compared to the consensus estimate of $325.21 million, this meant a surprise of +2.61%. Looking back, Canada and Mexico contributed $306.3 million, or 13.9%, in the previous quarter, and $281.4 million, or 13.5%, in the same quarter of the previous year.

Anticipated Revenues in Overseas MarketsFor the current fiscal quarter, it is anticipated by Wall Street analysts that Fastenal will post revenues of $2.44 billion, which reflects an increase of 14.3% the same quarter in the previous year. The revenue contributions are expected to be 3.1% from Other foreign countries ($74.23 million), and 13.6% from Canada and Mexico ($331.64 million).

For the full year, a total revenue of $9.23 billion is expected for the company, reflecting an increase of 12.5% from the year before. The revenues from Other foreign countries and Canada and Mexico are expected to make up 3.1%, and 13.7% of this total, corresponding to $289.41 million, and $1.27 billion, respectively.

Key TakeawaysFastenal's leaning on foreign markets for its revenue stream presents a mix of chances and challenges. Therefore, a vigilant watch on its international revenue movements can greatly aid in projecting the company's future direction.

In an era of growing international interdependencies and escalating geopolitical disputes, Wall Street analysts are vigilant in tracking these trends for businesses with a global reach, in order to refine their predictions of earnings. It should be noted, however, that a multitude of other elements, such as a company's domestic position, also play a significant role in shaping the earnings forecasts.

Here at Zacks, we put a great deal of emphasis on a company's changing earnings outlook, as empirical research has shown that's a powerful force driving a stock's near-term price performance. Quite naturally, the correlation is positive here -- an upward revision in earnings estimates drives the stock price higher.

With an impressive externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool - the Zacks Rank - harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions and serves as an effective indicator of a stock's near-term price performance.

Fastenal currently has a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), indicating that it could outperform the broader market in the near term. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>> .

Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) Hits Fresh High: Is There Still Room to Run?
ADM Archer-Daniels-Midland
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Shares of Archer Daniels Midland (ADM - Free Report) have been strong performers lately, with the stock up 14.4% over the past month. The stock hit a new 52-week high of $86 in the previous session. ADM has gained 49.4% since the start of the year compared to the 9.3% move for the Zacks Consumer Staples sector and the 30.5% return for the Zacks Agriculture - Operations industry.

What's Driving the Outperformance? The stock has a great record of positive earnings surprises, as it hasn't missed our earnings consensus estimate in any of the last four quarters. In its last earnings report on May 5, 2026, ADM reported EPS of $0.71 versus consensus estimate of $0.66 while it missed the consensus revenue estimate by 2.93%.

For the current fiscal year, ADM is expected to post earnings of $4.71 per share on $84.49 in revenues. This represents a 37.32% change in EPS on a 5.26% change in revenues. For the next fiscal year, the company is expected to earn $5.03 per share on $85.11 in revenues. This represents a year-over-year change of 6.83% and 0.73%, respectively.

Valuation MetricsWhile ADM has moved to its 52-week high over the past few weeks, investors need to be asking, what is next for the company? A key aspect of this question is taking a look at valuation metrics in order to determine if the company has run ahead of itself.

On this front, we can look at the Zacks Style Scores, as they provide investors with an additional way to sort through stocks (beyond looking at the Zacks Rank of a security). The individual style scores for Value, Growth, Momentum and the combined VGM Score run from A through F. The idea behind the style scores is to help investors pick the most appropriate Zacks Rank stocks based on their individual investment style.

ADM has a Value Score of A. The stock's Growth and Momentum Scores are B and D, respectively, giving the company a VGM Score of A.

In terms of its value breakdown, the stock currently trades at 18.2X current fiscal year EPS estimates, which is a premium to the peer industry average of 13.8X. On a trailing cash flow basis, the stock currently trades at 14.5X versus its peer group's average of 6.6X. This is good enough to put the company in the top echelon of all stocks we cover from a value perspective, making ADM an interesting choice for value investors.

Zacks RankWe also need to consider the stock's Zacks Rank, as this is even more important than the company's VGM Score. Fortunately, ADM currently has a Zacks Rank of #2 (Buy) thanks to a solid earnings estimate revision trend.

Since we recommend that investors select stocks carrying Zacks Rank of 1 (Strong Buy) or 2 (Buy) and Style Scores of A or B, it looks as if ADM fits the bill. Thus, it seems as though ADM shares could have a bit more room to run in the near term.

Prior to a company's earnings release, it is of utmost importance to factor in any revisions made to the earnings projections. FMP Stock News
Original source text

Roblox vs. Take-Two: Which Gaming Stock Has the Edge Now?
RBLX Roblox
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways RBLX delivered strong user, bookings and cash flow growth, supported by AI and creator tools.Roblox is expanding monetization with older users, stronger developer incentives and discovery updates.TTWO targets higher bookings, but mobile weakness and rising development costs cloud the outlook. The gaming industry continues to face intense competition, rising development costs and rapidly changing player preferences. Even so, companies with scalable digital ecosystems, durable intellectual property and multiple monetization levers remain better positioned to create long-term value. Roblox Corporation (RBLX - Free Report) and Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (TTWO - Free Report) offer contrasting growth profiles. Roblox likely benefits from higher user engagement, restored access in Russia and strong traction for Grow a Garden 2. Meanwhile, Take-Two recently reached a new 52-week high amid reports of robust early preorder demand for Grand Theft Auto VI.

Roblox is expanding its creator-led platform through AI tools, stronger developer incentives and communication and discovery enhancements. Take-Two, meanwhile, is targeting a sharp increase in bookings and cash flow, but softer mobile expectations, flat recurrent consumer spending and concentrated execution risk temper the outlook. With Roblox supported by a broader set of platform-driven growth levers and Take-Two facing a more demanding setup, which gaming stock offers the stronger investment case now? Let’s take a closer look.

Roblox Expands Engagement, Creator Economics and AI CapabilitiesRoblox posted broad-based growth in the first quarter of 2026. Revenues increased 39% year over year to $1.4 billion, while bookings rose 43% to $1.7 billion. Operating cash flow advanced 42% to $629 million, and free cash flow increased 40% to $596 million. Daily active users reached 132 million, hours engaged totaled 31 billion and monthly unique payers increased 52% year over year to 31 million.

The company is increasing its focus on older users. Users aged 18 and above represented 26% of age-checked DAUs, while U.S. DAUs and hours for this cohort grew more than 40%. U.S. DAUs and hours among users aged 18-34 increased more than 50% year over year, while U.S. users aged 18 and above monetized more than 50% higher than users under 18. Roblox also increased the DevEx rate for eligible spending by age-checked U.S. users aged 18 and above to 37.8% from 26.6% for qualifying novel games and is onboarding roughly 100 games into the program.

Spending and engagement growth broadened beyond Roblox’s largest experiences during the quarter. Experiences outside the top 10 generated 43% growth in engagement and 41% growth in spending, accounting for 65% of the increase in total spending. Roblox is also experimenting with enhanced discovery algorithms designed to optimize for 28-day retention and beyond. Nearly half of Roblox’s top 1,000 creators use Roblox Assistant or Model Context Protocol tools. The platform also operates more than 400 AI models and processes more than 1.5 million inferences per second.

However, the rollout of age checks for chat access reduced communication activity. The company stated that lower communication engagement and a recommendation system weighted toward monetization contributed to weaker app-store ratings, likely reducing organic sign-ups. Roblox lowered its full-year bookings growth outlook to 8-12%, down from its prior 22-26% projection. The company expects DAUs to decline sequentially in the second quarter before returning to growth in the third quarter, supported by seasonality and planned communication and discovery updates.

Take-Two’s Growth Outlook Remains UnevenTake-Two faces an uneven fiscal 2027 setup, as flat recurrent consumer spending, projected mobile weakness and rising costs temper the benefits of its expected bookings growth. Recurrent consumer spending is expected to remain flat and account for 65% of net bookings, down from 78% in fiscal 2026. Mobile recurrent consumer spending is projected to decline following Color Block Jam’s strong prior-year performance and moderating trends across several mature Zynga titles.

Near-term guidance points to a softer start to fiscal 2027. First-quarter net bookings are projected between $1.32 billion and $1.37 billion, compared with $1.42 billion in the prior-year period. Recurrent consumer spending is expected to decline approximately 3%, reflecting projected decreases across mobile and the Grand Theft Auto series, partially offset by high-single-digit growth for NBA 2K.

Certain portfolio trends have also moderated. NBA 2K’s fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 recurrent consumer spending growth was softer than anticipated after a high concentration of spending from its most engaged players earlier in the year left less incremental upside. Take-Two also noted that hit rates for new mobile games remain low and that its fiscal 2027 guidance does not assume a major new mobile hit.

The cost profile remains another concern. Take-Two expects fiscal 2027 operating expenses of $4.18-$4.2 billion, with management-basis expenses rising approximately 8% due to higher marketing investments, new mobile releases and increased research and development spending. Selling and marketing are expected to account for about half of the projected $300 million year-over-year increase in management-basis operating expenses. The company also acknowledged that margins may fluctuate and that rising game-development costs affect the gross margins of many titles.

How Does the Zacks Consensus Estimate Compare for RBLX & TTWO?The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Roblox’s current-year sales suggests a year-over-year increase of 10.2%, while its loss per share is expected to narrow 6.5%. In the past 60 days, the loss estimate has narrowed from $1.45 to $1.44 per share.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Take-Two’s current-year sales suggests a year-over-year increase of 26.6%, while earnings per share are expected to rise 65.1%. Over the past 60 days, the earnings estimate has declined 15.4% to $6.77 per share.

TTWO Earnings Estimate Trend

Valuation and Price Performance: RBLX vs. TTWORBLX stock has declined 36.2% year to date, underperforming the gaming industry’s 16.3% loss and the S&P 500’s 9.7% gain. Meanwhile, TTWO shares have fallen 7.5% over the same period.

Roblox is trading at a forward 12-month price-to-sales ratio of 4.20X, above the industry average of 2.27X. Take-Two trades at a higher forward P/S multiple of 5.01X.

The Final TakeRoblox currently offers the stronger risk-reward profile. Its expanding user base, rising payer activity, growing traction among older audiences and broader adoption of AI-enabled creator tools support a scalable, platform-driven growth model. Higher developer incentives, improving content diversity and multiple engagement and monetization initiatives further strengthen its long-term positioning.

Take-Two’s powerful franchise portfolio and GTA VI-led pipeline could drive substantial bookings and earnings growth. However, flat recurrent consumer spending, weaker mobile expectations, downward earnings-estimate revisions and rising marketing and development costs create a more execution-dependent setup. Roblox still faces near-term safety-related friction and trades above the industry average, but its broader growth levers and lower valuation relative to Take-Two provide the stronger investment case at present. Roblox currently carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold), while Take-Two has a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell).

Nucor (NUE) Reports Next Week: Wall Street Expects Earnings Growth
NUE Nucor
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Nucor (NUE - Free Report) is expected to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook gives a good sense of the company's earnings picture, but how the actual results compare to these estimates is a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price.

The stock might move higher if these key numbers top expectations in the upcoming earnings report, which is expected to be released on July 27. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.

While management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call will mostly determine the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations, it's worth having a handicapping insight into the odds of a positive EPS surprise.

Zacks Consensus EstimateThis steel company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $4.63 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +78.1%.

Revenues are expected to be $9.87 billion, up 16.7% from the year-ago quarter.

Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 6.92% higher over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.

Investors should keep in mind that an aggregate change may not always reflect the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts.

Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise

Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. Our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) -- has this insight at its core.

The Zacks Earnings ESP compares the Most Accurate Estimate to the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the quarter; the Most Accurate Estimate is a more recent version of the Zacks Consensus EPS estimate. The idea here is that analysts revising their estimates right before an earnings release have the latest information, which could potentially be more accurate than what they and others contributing to the consensus had predicted earlier.

Thus, a positive or negative Earnings ESP reading theoretically indicates the likely deviation of the actual earnings from the consensus estimate. However, the model's predictive power is significant for positive ESP readings only.

A positive Earnings ESP is a strong predictor of an earnings beat, particularly when combined with a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold). Our research shows that stocks with this combination produce a positive surprise nearly 70% of the time, and a solid Zacks Rank actually increases the predictive power of Earnings ESP.

Please note that a negative Earnings ESP reading is not indicative of an earnings miss. Our research shows that it is difficult to predict an earnings beat with any degree of confidence for stocks with negative Earnings ESP readings and/or Zacks Rank of 4 (Sell) or 5 (Strong Sell).

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Nucor? For Nucor, the Most Accurate Estimate is the same as the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that there are no recent analyst views which differ from what have been considered to derive the consensus estimate. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of 0%.

On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #2.

So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Nucor will beat the consensus EPS estimate.

Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.

For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Nucor would post earnings of $2.79 per share when it actually produced earnings of $3.23, delivering a surprise of +15.77%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates two times.

Bottom LineAn earnings beat or miss may not be the sole basis for a stock moving higher or lower. Many stocks end up losing ground despite an earnings beat due to other factors that disappoint investors. Similarly, unforeseen catalysts help a number of stocks gain despite an earnings miss.

That said, betting on stocks that are expected to beat earnings expectations does increase the odds of success. This is why it's worth checking a company's Earnings ESP and Zacks Rank ahead of its quarterly release. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.

Nucor doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

Expected Results of an Industry PlayerAnother stock from the Zacks Steel - Producers industry, Cleveland-Cliffs (CLF - Free Report) , is soon expected to post loss of $0.18 per share for the quarter ended June 2026. This estimate indicates a year-over-year change of +64%. Revenues for the quarter are expected to be $5.15 billion, up 4.4% from the year-ago quarter.

The consensus EPS estimate for Cleveland-Cliffs has been revised 45.3% higher over the last 30 days to the current level. However, a lower Most Accurate Estimate has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -17.81%.

When combined with a Zacks Rank of #2 (Buy), this Earnings ESP makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Cleveland-Cliffs will beat the consensus EPS estimate. The company beat consensus EPS estimates in each of the trailing four quarters.

Stonegate Capital Partners Initiates Coverage on Xperi Inc. (XPER)
XPER Xperi Holding
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Dallas, Texas--(Newsfile Corp. - July 20, 2026) - Xperi Inc. (NYSE: XPER): Stonegate Capital Partners Initiates Coverage on Xperi Inc. (NYSE: XPER). Xperi's 1Q26 results increased confidence that its earnings inflection is underway. Topline benefited from earlier contract signings in Consumer Electronics and Connected Car, but the more meaningful change was the cost base as adjusted operating expense fell 14%, lifting adjusted EBITDA margin to 22.1% from 14.4%. Management said first-quarter expenses are a fair run rate, giving the Company room to translate Media Platform growth into earnings without relying on further large cost actions. TiVo One's expanding audience is beginning to support advertising revenue, reinforcing the shift toward post-deployment monetization. We are keeping our eye on TiVo One ARPU, the second-half advertising ramp, and the first AutoStage data licenses as markers of continued progress.

To view the full announcement, including downloadable images, bios, and more, click here.

Key Takeaways:

The cost reset materially improves earnings visibility: A 14% reduction in adjusted operating expense establishes a lower run-rate cost base and supports sustained operating leverage toward the 17%-19% EBITDA margin target.

Media Platform is emerging as the core growth and mix driver: TiVo One audience growth, expanding advertising demand, and broader programmatic capabilities support a higher-quality, recurring monetization model.

Execution milestones should drive the next leg of the story: TiVo One ARPU expansion, the second-half advertising ramp, and initial AutoStage data licensing are the key catalysts for earnings upside and multiple expansion.

Can XM Cyber IP Acquisition Strengthen CrowdStrike's Falcon Platform?
CRWD CrowdStrike
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways CRWD is acquiring XM Cyber's IP, including patents & code for attack path analysis and exposure management. CRWD aims to enhance Falcon Exposure Management to identify attack paths and prioritize security risks.CRWD expects the deal to expand Falcon Flex adoption and support long-term revenue growth. CrowdStrike (CRWD - Free Report) is strengthening its Falcon platform by acquiring the intellectual property of XM Cyber. The deal includes more than 45 patents and proprietary source code related to attack path analysis and exposure management. XM Cyber customers will have the option to move to the Falcon platform through Falcon Flex over time. The deal is a part of CrowdStrike's expanded partnership with Schwarz Digits to offer the Falcon platform on STACKIT's sovereign cloud across Europe.

The acquisition enhances CrowdStrike's Falcon Exposure Management offering.Falcon Exposure Management continuously monitors an organization's attack surface and prioritizes vulnerabilities based on how likely they are to be exploited. Adding XM Cyber's attack path analysis technology should help improve the Falcon platform's ability to identify attack paths and prioritize security risks, and help organizations understand how attackers can move through their networks by combining multiple vulnerabilities.

The acquisition also supports CrowdStrike's platform strategy. As AI helps attackers discover and exploit vulnerabilities faster, companies are looking for security platforms, such as CrowdStrike's Falcon platform, that bring multiple capabilities together. During the first quarter of fiscal 2027, the adoption of Falcon Exposure Management nearly doubled year over year. Here, Falcon Flex's ability to help customers adopt additional modules through a single subscription model should create opportunities for further platform expansion.

The acquisition adds new technology to CrowdStrike's exposure management offering and creates an opportunity to bring XM Cyber customers onto Falcon Flex. Through this acquisition, CrowdStrike is improving its ability to help enterprises manage AI-driven cyber risks while supporting its long-term platform growth strategy. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for fiscal 2027 and 2028 revenues indicates a year-over-year increase of around 23.5% and 21.6%, respectively.

How Competitors Fare Against CRWDCompetitors like Palo Alto Networks (PANW - Free Report) and Zscaler (ZS - Free Report) are also gaining ground through platform expansion and AI innovation through acquisitions.

In May 2026, PANW completed its acquisition of Portkey, a company specializing in AI Gateways, to strengthen its AI security offering. PANW aims to use Portkey as the AI Gateway within its Prisma AIRS platform to act as a central system to monitor, control and secure all AI-related activity across an organization.

In May 2026, Zscaler announced its intent to acquire Symmetry Systems, which provides an access graph that maps how identities, applications and data sources connect across the enterprise. Through this acquisition, Symmetry Systems’ technology will be integrated with Zscaler’s Zero Trust Exchange platform to strengthen agentic security use cases, providing organizations with control over how AI agents interact with applications and data.

CRWD’s Price Performance, Valuation and EstimatesShares of CrowdStrike have jumped 73.3% in the year-to-date period compared with the Zacks Security industry’s return of 73.5%.

Shares of Hut 8 (NASDAQ:HUT) are surging in Monday morning trading, with the stock up 10% to $100.58 after the energy infrastructure operator announced a second hyperscale AI data center lease that fully commercializes its flagship Texas campus. The move extends a volatile stretch for the name, which had fallen 23% over the past month heading into the announcement.

The rally is dragging peer miners higher in sympathy. Marathon Digital (NASDAQ:MARA | MARA Price Prediction) shares are up 8% to $11.57, and Riot Platforms (NASDAQ:RIOT) shares are trading 4% higher at $19.03. The CoinShares Valkyrie Bitcoin Miners ETF (NASDAQ:WGMI) is along for the ride, with the ETF up 8% to $51.58.

Notably, the sector is rallying while Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) trades slightly lower over the past 24 hours at $64,317. That divergence signals the move is idiosyncratic to the AI infrastructure theme rather than a crypto beta trade.

Beacon Point Deal Fully Commercializes Texas Campus Hut 8 signed a second 15-year, $9.8 billion lease that fully commercializes its 1-gigawatt Beacon Point AI data center campus in Nueces County, Texas. The existing high-investment-grade tenant doubled its contracted footprint to 704 MW, and the campus base-term contract value now stands at $19.6 billion, rising to as much as $50.2 billion if all renewal options are exercised.

The total contracted portfolio value across Beacon Point and River Bend now reaches $26.6 billion, with expected average annual net operating income above $1.75 billion. The Phase 2 data hall spans 352 MW and is designed to NVIDIA‘s (NASDAQ:NVDA) DSX reference architecture, tying Hut 8 directly to the NVIDIA AI factory buildout that CEO Jensen Huang has called “the largest infrastructure expansion in human history.”

Campus energization is on track for Q1 2027, with first Phase 2 delivery expected in Q2 2028. Beacon Point was originally developed on a speed-to-power basis for affiliated miner American Bitcoin before being converted to AI leases.

KBW Reiterates Outperform Keefe, Bruyette & Woods (KBW) maintained an Outperform rating with a $138 price target on Hut 8 shares following the announcement. That target sits above the current print and reinforces the analyst community’s read that Hut 8’s shift toward contracted, investment-grade cash flow is worth a premium to the mining peer set.

The setup echoes prior notes. Benchmark’s Mark Palmer had already lifted his Hut 8 price target to $165 from $85, and Lucid Capital Markets initiated the stock at Buy with a $226 price target.

Hut 8’s Peers Ride the Theme To be clear, the concrete news belongs to Hut 8 alone. Marathon Digital and Riot Platforms shares are moving on renewed enthusiasm for the Bitcoin-miner-to-AI-infrastructure pivot rather than company-specific catalysts.

Marathon Digital is pursuing its own transition through a Starwood partnership converting roughly 90% of non-hosted mining capacity to AI and critical IT compute sites, plus a pending acquisition of the 505 MW Long Ridge Energy plant expected to close in H2 2026. Riot Platforms has already booked debut data center revenue from its $636 million, 10-year Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD) lease at Rockdale and is targeting portfolio NOI of $1.6 billion to $2.1 billion on full development.

The WGMI ETF offers a basket way to play the cohort. However, the fund is narrow and volatile, with meaningful concentration risk.

What to Watch Now Traders can watch for whether today’s crypto-stock gains hold into the close. The next anticipated catalyst is Hut 8’s Q2 2026 earnings release on August 4, before the open, which management has flagged may look messy on mark-to-market accounting.

For Marathon Digital and Riot Platforms, the read-through is simpler. If hyperscale tenants keep signing 15-year and 20-year deals at gigawatt scale, the miner-to-AI pivot narrative likely has room to run, even if Bitcoin drifts sideways.

Should Value Investors Buy Playtika (PLTK) Stock?
PLTK Playtika
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Here at Zacks, our focus is on the proven Zacks Rank system, which emphasizes earnings estimates and estimate revisions to find great stocks. Nevertheless, we are always paying attention to the latest value, growth, and momentum trends to underscore strong picks.

Of these, perhaps no stock market trend is more popular than value investing, which is a strategy that has proven to be successful in all sorts of market environments. Value investors use a variety of methods, including tried-and-true valuation metrics, to find these stocks.

On top of the Zacks Rank, investors can also look at our innovative Style Scores system to find stocks with specific traits. For example, value investors will want to focus on the "Value" category. Stocks with high Zacks Ranks and "A" grades for Value will be some of the highest-quality value stocks on the market today.

One company value investors might notice is Playtika (PLTK - Free Report) . PLTK is currently sporting a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) and an A for Value.

PLTK is also sporting a PEG ratio of 0.80. This popular metric is similar to the widely-known P/E ratio, with the difference being that the PEG ratio also takes into account the company's expected earnings growth rate. PLTK's industry has an average PEG of 1.60 right now. Over the past 52 weeks, PLTK's PEG has been as high as 2.80 and as low as 0.80, with a median of 1.20.

Value investors also love the P/S ratio, which is calculated by simply dividing a stock's price with the company's sales. This is a popular metric because sales are harder to manipulate on an income statement, so they are often considered a better performance indicator. PLTK has a P/S ratio of 0.55. This compares to its industry's average P/S of 1.38.

Value investors will likely look at more than just these metrics, but the above data helps show that Playtika is likely undervalued currently. And when considering the strength of its earnings outlook, PLTK sticks out as one of the market's strongest value stocks.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings is pinned at $2.56 per share, which implies a 2.8% rise from the year-ago recorded actuals.

Estimate Revision Trend Ahead of ALGN’s Q2 EarningsEstimates for second-quarter earnings have remained unchanged at $2.56 per share in the past 30 days.

Here’s a brief overview of the company’s performance leading up to this announcement.

Factors Shaping ALGN’s Q2 PerformanceClear Aligner

The segment is likely to have benefited from higher Clear Aligner volumes, with particular strength across the EMEA, APAC and Latin America, with continued stability in North America. Both orthodontists and GP dentist channels may have seen volume growth, driven by growth across adults, teens and growing kids. From a product standpoint, it is likely to have seen strong contributions from Invisalign First and the Invisalign Palatal Expander with Mandibular Advancement with Occlusal Blocks.

Dental and orthodontic service organizations (DSOs) must have remained a key, scalable growth channel in the to-be-reported quarter, with continued strong progress across all major regions. Meanwhile, the doctor subscription program (DSP), which includes retention, touch-up and relapse cases, is expected to have maintained strong momentum during the quarter.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Clear Aligner revenues indicates 6.3% year-over-year growth.

Align Technology, Inc. Price and EPS SurpriseImaging Systems & CAD/CAM Services (Systems and Services)

Within this segment, revenues are likely to have benefited from higher volumes across all regions and continued adoption of iTero Lumina scanner. In the first quarter, the total installed base of active scanners exceeded 125,000 globally. We expect this trend to have continued in the to-be-reported quarter as well.

exocad achieved strong revenue growth, reinforcing the company’s strategy to integrate orthodontics and restorative dentistry within a customer and patient-centric digital platform. We expect this trend to have persisted in the second quarter as well. Following the successful launch of Invisalign Advanced Restorative Treatment (ART) pilot in the EMEA, Align recently began an Invisalign ART pilot in the United States with labs and doctors beginning training in several markets. We expect the development to have contributed to the company’s top-line growth.

The company’s growing suite of digital diagnostic tools, including Align Oral Health Suite and Align X-ray Insights, helps doctors identify conditions earlier and deliver clearer, more informed treatment recommendations. We expect all these tools to have positively impacted Align Technology’s revenues in the second quarter.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the segment’s revenues implies a decrease of 5.5% on a year-over-year basis.

Is Trending Stock JD.com, Inc. (JD) a Buy Now?
JD.US JD.com
FMP Stock News
Original source text
JD.com, Inc. (JD - Free Report) has recently been on Zacks.com's list of the most searched stocks. Therefore, you might want to consider some of the key factors that could influence the stock's performance in the near future.

Shares of this company have returned +7.4% over the past month versus the Zacks S&P 500 composite's +0.6% change. The Zacks Internet - Commerce industry, to which JD.com belongs, has gained 5.4% over this period. Now the key question is: Where could the stock be headed in the near term?

Although media reports or rumors about a significant change in a company's business prospects usually cause its stock to trend and lead to an immediate price change, there are always certain fundamental factors that ultimately drive the buy-and-hold decision.

Earnings Estimate RevisionsHere at Zacks, we prioritize appraising the change in the projection of a company's future earnings over anything else. That's because we believe the present value of its future stream of earnings is what determines the fair value for its stock.

We essentially look at how sell-side analysts covering the stock are revising their earnings estimates to reflect the impact of the latest business trends. And if earnings estimates go up for a company, the fair value for its stock goes up. A higher fair value than the current market price drives investors' interest in buying the stock, leading to its price moving higher. This is why empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements.

JD.com is expected to post earnings of $0.86 per share for the current quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +24.6%. Over the last 30 days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate has changed -3%.

For the current fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $3.14 points to a change of +23.1% from the prior year. Over the last 30 days, this estimate has changed +2.7%.

For the next fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $3.67 indicates a change of +16.6% from what JD.com is expected to report a year ago. Over the past month, the estimate has changed +6.8%.

With an impressive externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool -- the Zacks Rank -- is a more conclusive indicator of a stock's near-term price performance, as it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions. The size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, has resulted in a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) for JD.com.

The chart below shows the evolution of the company's forward 12-month consensus EPS estimate:

12 Month EPS

Projected Revenue GrowthEven though a company's earnings growth is arguably the best indicator of its financial health, nothing much happens if it cannot raise its revenues. It's almost impossible for a company to grow its earnings without growing its revenue for long periods. Therefore, knowing a company's potential revenue growth is crucial.

In the case of JD.com, the consensus sales estimate of $51.55 billion for the current quarter points to a year-over-year change of +3.5%. The $203.97 billion and $214.91 billion estimates for the current and next fiscal years indicate changes of +11.1% and +5.4%, respectively.

Last Reported Results and Surprise HistoryJD.com reported revenues of $45.77 billion in the last reported quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +10.3%. EPS of $0.74 for the same period compares with $1.16 a year ago.

Compared to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $45.57 billion, the reported revenues represent a surprise of +0.42%. The EPS surprise was +29.82%.

The company beat consensus EPS estimates in each of the trailing four quarters. The company topped consensus revenue estimates three times over this period.

ValuationWithout considering a stock's valuation, no investment decision can be efficient. In predicting a stock's future price performance, it's crucial to determine whether its current price correctly reflects the intrinsic value of the underlying business and the company's growth prospects.

Comparing the current value of a company's valuation multiples, such as its price-to-earnings (P/E), price-to-sales (P/S), and price-to-cash flow (P/CF), to its own historical values helps ascertain whether its stock is fairly valued, overvalued, or undervalued, whereas comparing the company relative to its peers on these parameters gives a good sense of how reasonable its stock price is.

The Zacks Value Style Score (part of the Zacks Style Scores system), which pays close attention to both traditional and unconventional valuation metrics to grade stocks from A to F (an A is better than a B; a B is better than a C; and so on), is pretty helpful in identifying whether a stock is overvalued, rightly valued, or temporarily undervalued.

JD.com is graded A on this front, indicating that it is trading at a discount to its peers. Click here to see the values of some of the valuation metrics that have driven this grade.

ConclusionThe facts discussed here and much other information on Zacks.com might help determine whether or not it's worthwhile paying attention to the market buzz about JD.com. However, its Zacks Rank #3 does suggest that it may perform in line with the broader market in the near term.

Devon Energy Corporation (DVN) is Attracting Investor Attention: Here is What You Should Know
DVN Devon Energy
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Devon Energy (DVN - Free Report) has been one of the most searched-for stocks on Zacks.com lately. So, you might want to look at some of the facts that could shape the stock's performance in the near term.

Shares of this oil and gas exploration company have returned +4.1% over the past month versus the Zacks S&P 500 composite's +0.6% change. The Zacks Oil and Gas - Exploration and Production - United States industry, to which Devon Energy belongs, has gained 6% over this period. Now the key question is: Where could the stock be headed in the near term?

Although media reports or rumors about a significant change in a company's business prospects usually cause its stock to trend and lead to an immediate price change, there are always certain fundamental factors that ultimately drive the buy-and-hold decision.

Revisions to Earnings EstimatesRather than focusing on anything else, we at Zacks prioritize evaluating the change in a company's earnings projection. This is because we believe the fair value for its stock is determined by the present value of its future stream of earnings.

Devon Energy is expected to post earnings of $1.27 per share for the current quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +51.2%. Over the last 30 days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate has changed -12.4%.

The consensus earnings estimate of $4.61 for the current fiscal year indicates a year-over-year change of +17.6%. This estimate has changed -7.2% over the last 30 days.

For the next fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $4.79 indicates a change of +3.9% from what Devon Energy is expected to report a year ago. Over the past month, the estimate has changed -2.6%.

With an impressive externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool -- the Zacks Rank -- is a more conclusive indicator of a stock's near-term price performance, as it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions. The size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, has resulted in a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) for Devon Energy.

For Devon Energy, the consensus sales estimate for the current quarter of $6.25 billion indicates a year-over-year change of +45.9%. For the current and next fiscal years, $24.23 billion and $27.66 billion estimates indicate +41% and +14.1% changes, respectively.

Last Reported Results and Surprise HistoryDevon Energy reported revenues of $3.81 billion in the last reported quarter, representing a year-over-year change of -14.5%. EPS of $1.04 for the same period compares with $1.21 a year ago.

Compared to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $4.16 billion, the reported revenues represent a surprise of -8.48%. The EPS surprise was +4%.

The company beat consensus EPS estimates in each of the trailing four quarters. The company topped consensus revenue estimates three times over this period.

ValuationNo investment decision can be efficient without considering a stock's valuation. Whether a stock's current price rightly reflects the intrinsic value of the underlying business and the company's growth prospects is an essential determinant of its future price performance.

As part of the Zacks Style Scores system, the Zacks Value Style Score (which evaluates both traditional and unconventional valuation metrics) organizes stocks into five groups ranging from A to F (A is better than B; B is better than C; and so on), making it helpful in identifying whether a stock is overvalued, rightly valued, or temporarily undervalued.

Devon Energy is graded A on this front, indicating that it is trading at a discount to its peers. Click here to see the values of some of the valuation metrics that have driven this grade.

ConclusionThe facts discussed here and much other information on Zacks.com might help determine whether or not it's worthwhile paying attention to the market buzz about Devon Energy. However, its Zacks Rank #3 does suggest that it may perform in line with the broader market in the near term.

SLB Boosts Production Optimization With VIEC Technology Acquisition
SLB Schlumberger
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways SLB acquires Sulzer's VIEC technology to enhance oil-water separation and hydrocarbon recovery.VIEC can reduce water content to below 1% in a single treatment stage without major facility upgrades. The acquisition strengthens SLB's production technologies portfolio and future cash flows. SLB N.V. (SLB - Free Report) has acquired Sulzer's Vessel Internal Electrostatic Coalescer (VIEC) technology, strengthening its production optimization portfolio. The move has enhanced SLB’s ability to help oil and gas operators maximize hydrocarbon recovery from aging assets. The acquisition expands SLB's production technologies business at a time when producers are increasingly focused on improving output from existing fields rather than pursuing costly new developments.

As mature oil fields produce higher volumes of water over time, efficient oil-water separation has become essential for maintaining production and controlling operating costs. VIEC technology addresses this challenge by improving oil-water separation through high-frequency electrostatic fields that destabilize emulsions inside separator vessels.

The system can reduce water content to below 1% in a single treatment stage, enabling higher hydrocarbon recovery, greater processing capacity and lower treatment costs. The technology can be installed in both new and existing facilities without major infrastructure modifications, offering operators a cost-effective solution to optimize production across onshore and offshore assets.

The acquisition advances SLB’s strategy of expanding its higher-value production and recovery technology portfolio. By integrating VIEC, SLB broadens its production optimization capabilities, unlocking new avenues for equipment sales, retrofits and long-term service contracts. As global operators increasingly prioritize extending the life of mature assets under disciplined capital spending, demand for production-enhancing technologies is expected to grow. By expanding its differentiated technology portfolio, SLB is well-positioned to capture the growing demand and strengthen its business model with enhanced investor appeal.

SLB currently carries a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell).

Some better-ranked stocks in the energy sector are NOV Inc. (NOV - Free Report) , Natural Gas Services Group, Inc. (NGS - Free Report) and National Energy Services Reunited Corp. (NESR - Free Report) . NOV currently carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), while NESR and NGS sport a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) each. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank stocks here.

NOV is a global provider of equipment, technologies and services for the oil and gas drilling and production industries, operating across 548 locations on six continents. In the first quarter of 2026, the company achieved record profits from its subsea flexible pipe and process systems businesses, reflecting strong demand in offshore energy markets. NOV reported record bookings in the first quarter of 2026 for its composite solutions business and maintains a strong subsea flexible pipe backlog extending through 2028, providing long-term revenue visibility.

Headquartered in Southlake, TX, Natural Gas Services Group manufactures, fabricates, sells, rents and services natural gas compressors to enhance well production, alongside manufacturing flare and ignition systems used in production facilities. In June 2026, the company significantly expanded its operational footprint in the Permian Basin and Eagle Ford regions by acquiring Flatrock Compression Holdings. This strategic acquisition expanded NGS’s fleet of large-horsepower and electric-driven compression solutions, broadened its customer base and immediately boosted key financial metrics.

National Energy Services Reunited delivers integrated drilling and reservoir services across the Middle East, North Africa and Asia-Pacific, helping producers maximize output and efficiency. With rising global demand for electricity fueling a shift toward natural gas, NESR is well-positioned to capitalize on growing upstream energy investments.

Roper Technologies Set to Report Q2 Earnings: What's in the Cards?
ROP Roper Technologies
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways ROP is expected to report Q2 revenues of $2.10 billion, up 7.9%, with adjusted EPS of $5.29.ROP may benefit from SaaS demand, GenAI solutions and recurring revenues across software units.ROP's Subsplash acquisition may aid revenues, while high costs and a stronger U.S. dollar remain headwinds. Roper Technologies, Inc. (ROP - Free Report) is scheduled to release second-quarter 2026 results on July 23, before market open.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Roper Technologies’ second-quarter earnings has remained steady in the past 30 days. The company has an impressive earnings surprise history, having outperformed the consensus estimate in each of the preceding four quarters, with an average surprise of 1.7%.

The consensus estimate for the company’s revenues is pegged at $2.10 billion, indicating growth of 7.9% from the prior-year quarter’s figure. The consensus estimate for adjusted earnings is pinned at $5.29 per share, indicating 8.6% growth from the year-ago quarter’s number.

Let’s see how things have shaped up for Roper Technologies this earnings season.

Factors to Note Ahead of ROP’s Q2 ResultsROP’s Application Software segment’s second-quarter performance is expected to have benefited from strength across its Aderant, Deltek, Vertafore, PowerPlan and CentralReach businesses. The growing adoption of SaaS solutions and continued GenAI innovation are likely to have been key catalysts to Aderant's business growth. The Deltek business is likely to have gained from the strong demand for SaaS solutions in the private sector.

The Vertafore business is anticipated to have performed well, driven by excellent enterprise delivery capabilities to the large customers in the market. The adoption of new SaaS solutions, along with strong customer retention, is expected to drive the PowerPlan business’ results. Strength in the CentralReach business, driven by higher recurring revenues, is expected to have acted as a tailwind for the segment. For the second quarter, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the Application Software segment’s revenues is pegged at $1.18 billion, indicating an 8.1% increase from the year-ago reported number.

Roper Technologies’ Network Software segment is expected to have benefited from strong momentum across alternate site healthcare, construction and freight match markets. Solid demand for Gen AI-powered solutions within the ConstructConnect business is likely to have driven the segment. Increased average revenue per user (ARPU), driven by a rise in product packaging and continued customer cross-sell activity, is likely to have supported the DAT business. Strength in SoftWriters and Subsplash businesses is also likely to have aided the segment. For the second quarter, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the segment’s revenues is pegged at $437 million, indicating a 13.5% rise on a year-over-year basis.

The performance of the Technology Enabled Products segment is likely to have been driven by continued demand for ultrasonic meters and rising demand for cloud-based data and billing software solutions. Solid momentum in the Verathon and NDI businesses, supported by strength across single-use BFlex & GlideScope offerings and cardiac, neurology & orthopedic precision measurement solutions, is likely to have been another tailwind. However, softness in the water meter technology business is expected to have put up a weak show in the quarter. For the second quarter, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the segment’s revenues is pegged at $159 million, indicating a 3% decline from the year-ago reported number.

Nevertheless, ROP has remained focused on expanding its product offerings and market presence through buyouts, which is expected to have boosted its top line. In July 2025, Roper Technologies acquired Subsplash, a provider of cloud-based solutions. The inclusion of Subsplash’s modern technology platform, strong recurring revenue base and software-led payments capability is expected to aid ROP’s second-quarter results.

However, rising operating costs, owing to higher costs related to the amortization of acquired assets, are expected to have affected the company’s bottom line.

Also, given Roper Technologies’ extensive geographic presence, its operations are exposed to foreign exchange headwinds. A stronger U.S. dollar is likely to have hurt its overseas business.

Earnings WhisperOur proven model does not conclusively predict an earnings beat for ROP this time around. The combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold) increases the odds of an earnings beat, which is not the case here, as elaborated below.

Earnings ESP: Roper Technologies has an Earnings ESP of -0.22% as the Zacks Consensus Estimate is pegged at $5.29 per share, higher than the Most Accurate Estimate of $5.28. You can uncover the best stocks before they’re reported with our Earnings ESP Filter.

Expeditors International of Washington, Inc. (EXPD) Hit a 52 Week High, Can the Run Continue?
EXPD Expeditors International
FMP Stock News
Original source text
A strong stock as of late has been Expeditors International (EXPD - Free Report) . Shares have been marching higher, with the stock up 13.3% over the past month. The stock hit a new 52-week high of $183.52 in the previous session. Expeditors International has gained 22.7% since the start of the year compared to the 19.1% gain for the Zacks Transportation sector and the 15.3% return for the Zacks Transportation - Services industry.

What's Driving the Outperformance? The stock has a great record of positive earnings surprises, as it hasn't missed our earnings consensus estimate in any of the last four quarters. In its last earnings report on May 5, 2026, Expeditors International reported EPS of $1.71 versus consensus estimate of $1.33 while it beat the consensus revenue estimate by 8.02%.

For the current fiscal year, Expeditors International is expected to post earnings of $6.71 per share on $11.67 in revenues. This represents a 12.77% change in EPS on a 5.46% change in revenues. For the next fiscal year, the company is expected to earn $6.85 per share on $12.09 in revenues. This represents a year-over-year change of 2.15% and 3.6%, respectively.

Valuation MetricsExpeditors International may be at a 52-week high right now, but what might the future hold for the stock? A key aspect of this question is taking a look at valuation metrics in order to determine if the company is due for a pullback from this level.

On this front, we can look at the Zacks Style Scores, as they provide investors with an additional way to sort through stocks (beyond looking at the Zacks Rank of a security). The individual style scores for Value, Growth, Momentum and the combined VGM Score run from A through F. Investors should consider the style scores a valuable tool that can help you to pick the most appropriate Zacks Rank stocks based on their individual investment style.

Expeditors International has a Value Score of D. The stock's Growth and Momentum Scores are B and A, respectively, giving the company a VGM Score of B.

In terms of its value breakdown, the stock currently trades at 27.3X current fiscal year EPS estimates, which is a premium to the peer industry average of 26.3X. On a trailing cash flow basis, the stock currently trades at 28.3X versus its peer group's average of 8.5X. Additionally, the stock has a PEG ratio of 3.04. This isn't enough to put the company in the top echelon of all stocks we cover from a value perspective.

Zacks RankWe also need to consider the stock's Zacks Rank, as this supersedes any trend on the style score front. Fortunately, Expeditors International currently has a Zacks Rank of #2 (Buy) thanks to favorable earnings estimate revisions from covering analysts.

Since we recommend that investors select stocks carrying Zacks Rank of 1 (Strong Buy) or 2 (Buy) and Style Scores of A or B, it looks as if Expeditors International fits the bill. Thus, it seems as though Expeditors International shares could have a bit more room to run in the near term.

How Does EXPD Stack Up to the Competition?Shares of EXPD have been soaring, and the company still appears to be a decent choice, but what about the rest of the industry? One industry peer that looks good is Matson, Inc. (MATX - Free Report) . MATX has a Zacks Rank of #2 (Buy) and a Value Score of B, a Growth Score of C, and a Momentum Score of B.

Earnings were strong last quarter. Matson, Inc. beat our consensus estimate by 12.12%, and for the current fiscal year, MATX is expected to post earnings of $14.16 per share on revenue of $3.45 billion.

Shares of Matson, Inc. have gained 16.2% over the past month, and currently trade at a forward P/E of 15.69X and a P/CF of 9.3X.

The Transportation - Services industry is in the top 38% of all the industries we have in our universe, so it looks like there are some nice tailwinds for EXPD and MATX, even beyond their own solid fundamental situation.

LCID shares declined $1.13 per share (11.35%) following the first corrective disclosure and an additional $0.44 per share (4.76%) after preliminary financials were released. The window to apply for lead plaintiff closes on July 28, 2026.

February 24, 2026: Assurances of stability. March 12, 2026: Promises of execution. April 3, 2026: Disclosure of a 29-day delivery disruption. April 14, 2026: Disclosed preliminary revenues would be only $280-284 million, significantly below the $433.8 million expected. Between these dates, LCID shareholders allege they were denied material information about a supplier crisis already underway.

February 24, 2026 — Post-Market Earnings Release and Investor Call

Lucid reported Q4 and full-year 2025 results, touting record deliveries and what the lawsuit contends were misleading characterizations of operational progress. The securities action alleges that, at the time these statements were made, a supplier quality crisis involving unauthorized changes to Lucid Gravity second-row seat components was already disrupting February deliveries.

March 12, 2026 — Investor Day Presentation

Lucid held a comprehensive investor day, as claimed in the complaint, emphasizing near-term execution, scaling of the Gravity SUV, and a path to profitability. No mention was made of the ongoing delivery halt or recall affecting 4,476 vehicles.

April 3, 2026 — Q1 Production and Delivery Disclosure

Lucid revealed it had produced 5,500 vehicles but delivered only 3,093, far below the 5,237 deliveries analysts expected. The company disclosed for the first time that Gravity deliveries had been disrupted for 29 days due to a supplier quality issue with second-row seats.

April 14, 2026 — Preliminary Financial Results and Capital Raise

Lucid filed a Form 8-K reporting preliminary Q1 2026 revenue of $280 million to $284 million and operating losses approaching $1 billion. The same day, Lucid announced a $1.05 billion capital raise, including a $300 million public stock offering.

Timeline of Alleged Disclosure Failures

Late February 2026: Deliveries were "particularly hit" due to a pause to reverse an unauthorized supplier change and inspect vehicles already produced, as alleged in the complaintFebruary 24-25, 2026: Executives publicly described operations as "repeatable" and "structural" while the supplier disruption was allegedly already underwayMarch 12, 2026: Investor day materials emphasized execution and scaling without disclosing the 29-day delivery haltApril 3, 2026: First public acknowledgment of the disruption, more than a month after it began impacting deliveriesApril 14, 2026: Revenue miss of over $150 million versus consensus confirmed the financial magnitude of the concealed disruptionApril 15, 2026: TD Cowen slashed its price target from $19.00 to $10.00, citing Gravity ramp challenges and execution concerns "Timely disclosure of material developments is fundamental to fair and efficient markets. The chronology in this case raises important questions about whether investors received information about known delivery disruptions when they should have." — Joseph E. Levi, Esq.

Levi & Korsinsky Reminds Shareholders of a Lead Plaintiff Deadline of August 24, 2026 in ZoomInfo Technologies, Inc. Lawsuit - GTM
ZI ZoomInfo Technologies
FMP Stock News
Original source text
NEW YORK, July 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Levi & Korsinsky, LLP examines the adequacy of ZoomInfo Technologies, Inc.'s (NASDAQ: GTM) risk disclosures during the period between November 3, 2025 and May 11, 2026. A securities class action has been filed on behalf of investors who suffered losses. Find out if you qualify to recover losses from inadequate disclosures. You may also contact Joseph E. Levi, Esq. at [email protected] or (212) 363-7500.

Shares fell $1.98 per share, a 33% decline, after ZoomInfo revealed a sharp deterioration in its 2026 growth outlook on May 11, 2026, slashing full-year guidance that had been set just three months earlier.

What the Company Disclosed

Throughout the Class Period, ZoomInfo's public filings and earnings presentations contained forward-looking statements about revenue growth, net revenue retention improvement, and the trajectory of its AI-driven product suite. The Company's fiscal 2026 guidance projected revenue of $1.247 billion to $1.267 billion, representing positive 1% annual growth at the midpoint. SEC filings included standard cautionary language warning that actual results could differ from projections.

What the Complaint Challenges as Missing

The securities action contends that these disclosures failed to address specific, material risks that were already affecting ZoomInfo's business:

Customers were actively migrating from legacy seat-based subscription platforms toward consumption-based usage models, undermining the renewal economics that supported guidanceDownmarket customer retention was weakening in ways not reflected in the aggregate 90% NRR figure highlighted to investorsEnterprise customers were developing internal AI-driven go-to-market solutions that competed directly with ZoomInfo's core value propositionThe Operations suite's 20% year-over-year growth, while real, was insufficient to offset accelerating churn in the legacy seat-based businessThe Company's transition from seat-based pricing to Data-as-a-Service models carried execution risks that were not quantified or meaningfully addressed in risk factor disclosures Why Generic Warnings Allegedly Failed Investors

The complaint challenges the adequacy of ZoomInfo's cautionary language by drawing a distinction between hypothetical risks and risks that had already begun to materialize. As pleaded, the Company's boilerplate warnings about competitive pressures and customer purchasing patterns did not disclose that specific, quantifiable headwinds were already eroding the business assumptions underlying the fiscal 2026 outlook.

While executives publicly described "a lot in the positive column" and expressed confidence in "sustainably delivering revenue growth," the lawsuit maintains that known internal trends contradicted these assurances. The gap between what was disclosed generically and what was allegedly known specifically is at the center of the disclosure adequacy claims.

"Generic risk factor language cannot substitute for disclosing specific, known problems that are already affecting a company's operations. When a company's own internal metrics show deterioration that contradicts public guidance, investors deserve more than boilerplate cautionary statements." -- Joseph E. Levi, Esq.

TOON Sells Channel Business to Sharpen Focus on IP Monetization
TOON Kartoon Studios
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Kartoon Studios Inc. (TOON - Free Report) has taken another step in its strategic transformation by divesting Frederator Networks' Channel Network business in an all-cash transaction, while retaining the ownership of several of its most valuable intellectual property assets.

The transaction generated cash proceeds of $500,000 and reflects the company's broader effort to streamline operations around higher-value segments, including premium intellectual property, franchise development, animation production, global distribution and consumer products licensing.

Importantly for investors, the company is keeping the ownership of several notable Frederator Studios properties, including Bee and PuppyCat, Bravest Warriors, Castlevania, and Catbug. Kartoon Studios also retains Frederator Studios' creative talent and selected channels that support growth and distribution of its franchise portfolio.

Management indicated that the divestiture separates businesses with differing operating characteristics and strategic priorities. While the Channel Network business operated under a different business model and margin profile, the retained assets are expected to remain central to Kartoon Studios' long-term strategy of expanding revenues through intellectual property commercialization and licensing opportunities.

Chairman and chief executive officer Andy Heyward said that the transaction is intended to create a more focused organization by concentrating resources on businesses that align with the company's strategic direction. He added that retaining the core creative assets and intellectual property positions the company to continue building and monetizing its franchise portfolio.

From an investor perspective, the sale underscores Kartoon Studios' continued emphasis on becoming a more IP-centric entertainment company. By exiting a non-core operating business while preserving the ownership of established franchises, the company aims to allocate capital and management attention toward higher-margin opportunities tied to content ownership, licensing and brand expansion.

Although the cash proceeds from the transaction are relatively modest at $500,000, the strategic significance lies in simplifying the company's operating structure and reinforcing its focus on assets that have the potential to generate recurring revenues through distribution, licensing and consumer products initiatives.

JetBlue wins Spirit slots at LaGuardia Airport, eyes move to Marine Air Terminal as airlines fight for space
JBLU JetBlue Airways
FMP Stock News
Original source text
JetBlue Airways has won Spirit Airlines slots at New York's LaGuardia Airport and is looking to move back into the failed budget carrier's old home, a major reshuffling at the congested airport less than three months after the discounter collapsed in the biggest U.S. airline failure in decades.

The slots at the tightly controlled airport are for 12 round-trip flights and are still subject to final court and regulatory approvals, JetBlue said.

Slots and gates are valuable in congested airports like LaGuardia because tight airspace restrictions and crowded airports in a big city like New York cap airline growth.

Carriers have turned to using larger planes that fit more passengers to boost their capacity in some cases because infrastructure is so limited.

JetBlue told staff in a note Monday, which was seen by CNBC, that it's now turning to "evaluating our plans for the slots as we consider opportunities for our network strategy" noting that any expansion won't happen until 2027.

According to the note, JetBlue wants to move to Terminal A, also known as the Marine Air Terminal, an Art Deco facility that Spirit operated out of until it shut down in early May. JetBlue previously operated out of the space before relocating to a newer terminal years ago.

"It's a convenient terminal travelers love," JetBlue said of the Marine Air Terminal.

JetBlue Boosts Customer Convenience With ClarityPay Financing
JBLU JetBlue Airways
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways JetBlue now offers eligible travelers financing on its website and mobile app. A 0% APR offer for up to 12 months may attract price-conscious customers and higher-value trips. ClarityPay users earn TrueBlue points, with deeper loyalty integrations planned later this year. JetBlue Airways Corporation’s (JBLU - Free Report) partnership with ClarityPay marks another step in the carrier’s efforts to enhance the customer booking experience by offering greater payment flexibility. By allowing eligible customers to finance travel purchases directly on JBLU’s website and mobile app, the airline lowers the upfront financial burden of booking trips, which could encourage demand, particularly for higher-value itineraries and discretionary leisure travel.

The introductory 0% APR offer for financing terms of up to 12 months is likely to attract price-conscious travelers and may help JetBlue drive more direct bookings. Direct bookings are strategically important because they reduce reliance on third-party travel agencies, lower distribution costs and enable the airline to maintain stronger customer relationships while retaining valuable booking data.

The partnership also complements JBLU’s loyalty strategy. Customers using ClarityPay will continue to earn TrueBlue points on eligible purchases, and the company plans to introduce deeper loyalty integrations later this year. These enhancements could strengthen customer engagement, encourage repeat travel and improve the overall value proposition of the TrueBlue program.

Overall, the initiative aligns with JetBlue’s broader focus on personalization and digital innovation. By combining flexible financing with loyalty rewards, the airline is expanding the range of payment choices available to customers while creating opportunities to boost direct sales, customer retention and long-term revenue growth.

Dell Technologies Inc. (DELL) Is a Trending Stock: Facts to Know Before Betting on It
DELL Dell
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Dell Technologies (DELL - Free Report) is one of the stocks most watched by Zacks.com visitors lately. So, it might be a good idea to review some of the factors that might affect the near-term performance of the stock.

Over the past month, shares of this computer and technology services provider have returned -3.2%, compared to the Zacks S&P 500 composite's +0.6% change. During this period, the Zacks Computer - Micro Computers industry, which Dell Technologies falls in, has gained 11.7%. The key question now is: What could be the stock's future direction?

While media releases or rumors about a substantial change in a company's business prospects usually make its stock 'trending' and lead to an immediate price change, there are always some fundamental facts that eventually dominate the buy-and-hold decision-making.

Revisions to Earnings EstimatesHere at Zacks, we prioritize appraising the change in the projection of a company's future earnings over anything else.

Dell Technologies is expected to post earnings of $4.89 per share for the current quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +110.8%. Over the last 30 days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate has changed +1.7%.

The consensus earnings estimate of $18.8 for the current fiscal year indicates a year-over-year change of +82.5%. This estimate has changed +0.9% over the last 30 days.

For the next fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $22.76 indicates a change of +21.1% from what Dell Technologies is expected to report a year ago. Over the past month, the estimate has changed +1.4%.

Having a strong externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool, the Zacks Rank, offers a more conclusive picture of a stock's price direction in the near term, since it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions. Due to the size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, Dell Technologies is rated Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy).

The chart below shows the evolution of the company's forward 12-month consensus EPS estimate:

12 Month EPS

Projected Revenue GrowthWhile earnings growth is arguably the most superior indicator of a company's financial health, nothing happens as such if a business isn't able to grow its revenues. After all, it's nearly impossible for a company to increase its earnings for an extended period without increasing its revenues. So, it's important to know a company's potential revenue growth.

In the case of Dell Technologies, the consensus sales estimate of $46.48 billion for the current quarter points to a year-over-year change of +56.1%. The $174.48 billion and $190.75 billion estimates for the current and next fiscal years indicate changes of +53.7% and +9.3%, respectively.

Last Reported Results and Surprise HistoryDell Technologies reported revenues of $43.84 billion in the last reported quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +87.5%. EPS of $4.86 for the same period compares with $1.55 a year ago.

Compared to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $35.46 billion, the reported revenues represent a surprise of +23.62%. The EPS surprise was +59.87%.

While comparing the current values of a company's valuation multiples, such as price-to-earnings (P/E), price-to-sales (P/S), and price-to-cash flow (P/CF), with its own historical values helps determine whether its stock is fairly valued, overvalued, or undervalued, comparing the company relative to its peers on these parameters gives a good sense of the reasonability of the stock's price.

Dell Technologies is graded C on this front, indicating that it is trading at par with its peers. Click here to see the values of some of the valuation metrics that have driven this grade.

ConclusionThe facts discussed here and much other information on Zacks.com might help determine whether or not it's worthwhile paying attention to the market buzz about Dell Technologies. However, its Zacks Rank #1 does suggest that it may outperform the broader market in the near term.

Should You Invest in Applied Materials (AMAT) Based on Bullish Wall Street Views?
AMAT Applied Materials
FMP Stock News
Original source text
The recommendations of Wall Street analysts are often relied on by investors when deciding whether to buy, sell, or hold a stock. Media reports about these brokerage-firm-employed (or sell-side) analysts changing their ratings often affect a stock's price. Do they really matter, though?

Before we discuss the reliability of brokerage recommendations and how to use them to your advantage, let's see what these Wall Street heavyweights think about Applied Materials (AMAT - Free Report) .

Applied Materials currently has an average brokerage recommendation (ABR) of 1.45, on a scale of 1 to 5 (Strong Buy to Strong Sell), calculated based on the actual recommendations (Buy, Hold, Sell, etc.) made by 38 brokerage firms. An ABR of 1.45 approximates between Strong Buy and Buy.

Of the 38 recommendations that derive the current ABR, 28 are Strong Buy and three are Buy. Strong Buy and Buy respectively account for 73.7% and 7.9% of all recommendations.

Brokerage Recommendation Trends for AMAT

Check price target & stock forecast for Applied Materials here>>>

While the ABR calls for buying Applied Materials, it may not be wise to make an investment decision solely based on this information. Several studies have shown limited to no success of brokerage recommendations in guiding investors to pick stocks with the best price increase potential.

Are you wondering why? The vested interest of brokerage firms in a stock they cover often results in a strong positive bias of their analysts in rating it. Our research shows that for every "Strong Sell" recommendation, brokerage firms assign five "Strong Buy" recommendations.

In other words, their interests aren't always aligned with retail investors, rarely indicating where the price of a stock could actually be heading. Therefore, the best use of this information could be validating your own research or an indicator that has proven to be highly successful in predicting a stock's price movement.

Zacks Rank, our proprietary stock rating tool with an impressive externally audited track record, categorizes stocks into five groups, ranging from Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) to Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell), and is an effective indicator of a stock's price performance in the near future. Therefore, using the ABR to validate the Zacks Rank could be an efficient way of making a profitable investment decision.

Zacks Rank Should Not Be Confused With ABRIn spite of the fact that Zacks Rank and ABR both appear on a scale from 1 to 5, they are two completely different measures.

Broker recommendations are the sole basis for calculating the ABR, which is typically displayed in decimals (such as 1.28). The Zacks Rank, on the other hand, is a quantitative model designed to harness the power of earnings estimate revisions. It is displayed in whole numbers -- 1 to 5.

Analysts employed by brokerage firms have been and continue to be overly optimistic with their recommendations. Since the ratings issued by these analysts are more favorable than their research would support because of the vested interest of their employers, they mislead investors far more often than they guide.

On the other hand, earnings estimate revisions are at the core of the Zacks Rank. And empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements.

In addition, the different Zacks Rank grades are applied proportionately to all stocks for which brokerage analysts provide current-year earnings estimates. In other words, this tool always maintains a balance among its five ranks.

There is also a key difference between the ABR and Zacks Rank when it comes to freshness. When you look at the ABR, it may not be up-to-date. Nonetheless, since brokerage analysts constantly revise their earnings estimates to reflect changing business trends, and their actions get reflected in the Zacks Rank quickly enough, it is always timely in predicting future stock prices.

Is AMAT a Good Investment? In terms of earnings estimate revisions for Applied Materials, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current year has increased 0.3% over the past month to $12.14.

Analysts' growing optimism over the company's earnings prospects, as indicated by strong agreement among them in revising EPS estimates higher, could be a legitimate reason for the stock to soar in the near term.

The size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, has resulted in a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) for Applied Materials. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>>

Therefore, the Buy-equivalent ABR for Applied Materials may serve as a useful guide for investors.

Je společnost Nike „opravitelná“? Patria Stock News
Original source text

Nike dosahuje návratnosti investovaného kapitálu asi 12 % a návratnosti vlastního jmění u 22 %.

To ukazuje tzv. volný tok hotovosti FCF. Tedy to, co zbude z provozního toku hotovosti poté, co firmy zainvestuje.
