Cloudflare Is Up 9% Today: Is It Outperforming Other AI Cloud Stocks Like Oracle, CoreWeave, and Snowflake?

Shares of Cloudflare (NYSE:NET | NET Price Prediction) are up 9% in midday trading to about $269 after Scotiabank upgraded the stock and raised its price target. The move puts Cloudflare shares near a fresh 52-week high of $276.81, and it’s standing out on an otherwise rough day for growth tech.

The NASDAQ 100 is down 1.3% today, so Cloudflare is bucking a clear risk-off session. Cloudflare’s AI cloud peers are split, however.

Snowflake (NYSE:SNOW) shares are up 3% to $269.67. Oracle (NYSE:ORCL) stock is down 2% to $140.43, and CoreWeave (NASDAQ:CRWV) stock is down 4% to $83.11.

The short answer to the headline is yes. Cloudflare is the clear standout today among AI cloud names, and it’s also outperforming Oracle by a wide margin year to date (YTD).

Scotiabank Upgrade Fuels the Breakout Scotiabank analyst Patrick Colville upgraded Cloudflare stock to Sector Outperform from Sector Perform and raised the price target to $300 from $225. The thesis centers on Cloudflare’s Workers platform becoming the default runtime for “vibe coded” AI applications, with OpenAI Codex Sites and Lovable cited as reference customers.

Colville argues that Cloudflare traffic trends, which historically lead revenue by about three quarters, are inflecting on agentic-AI demand. That setup, he wrote, could let Cloudflare beat and raise Street estimates by five percentage points in the second half of 2026, and Cloudflare is landing what the note called the “best of the best” AI-native customers.

The bull case aligns with what Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince has been telling investors. On the Q1 FY2026 call, Prince stated “AI is driving a fundamental re-platforming of the Internet and a paradigm shift in how software is created and consumed; it’s shaping up to be the biggest tailwind we’ve ever seen in Cloudflare’s history.” Q1 revenue of $639.75 million grew 34% year over year (YoY), beating consensus.

The bear side concerns the company’s valuation. Cloudflare stock trades at 38x trailing sales and a forward P/E of 200x, so any stumble in the agentic-AI narrative could bring a sharp reset. Scotiabank flagged that premium multiple in its own note as the key risk to the call.

Peers Show a Mixed AI Cloud Tape Snowflake shares are holding up better than the broader tape on favorable third-party research. A new ISG Provider Lens report highlights Snowflake’s growing role as an enterprise-AI data and coordination layer. That’s positive sentiment rather than a hard catalyst like an earnings beat or a fresh customer deal, so Snowflake’s modest gain fits.

Oracle is the laggard of the group today and remains in the red for the year so far. Oracle stock is down 28% YTD, even as its cloud infrastructure business grew 93% YoY to $5.79 billion in Q4 FY2026. There’s no fresh company-specific catalyst today, and Oracle shares are drifting with the ongoing AI capex debate.

CoreWeave is the pure-play GPU cloud story, and its stock is falling as tech risk-off spreads through the AI trade. The company posted Q1 FY2026 revenue of $2.08 billion, up 112% YoY, with a revenue backlog approaching $100 billion. Even so, CoreWeave stock is off 48% over the past year as investors weigh capex intensity and rising interest expense.

What to Watch Next Cloudflare’s outperformance today is real and catalyst-driven, and it lines up with a strong 35% YTD advance. Yet, these are volatile names, and a single session doesn’t change the long-term thesis for any of them. Investors should consider keeping their Cloudflare stock position sizes modest given how quickly AI-cloud sentiment can rotate.

The next signposts for Cloudflare are the Q2 FY2026 report, where guidance calls for revenue of $664 million to $665 million, and any confirmation that Workers traffic really is presaging a second-half beat-and-raise cycle. Watch for whether Cloudflare stock can hold above the $260 level into the close.

For the wider group, Oracle’s next update and CoreWeave’s ability to convert its backlog into free cash flow are the bigger swing factors. Today’s action makes the message clear: the market is willing to pay up for Cloudflare’s agentic-AI story while it questions the economics of the GPU-heavy names.

Cameco Announces Cigar Lake Suspension: Is Uranium Production at Risk?
CCJ Cameco
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Cameco halted Cigar Lake mining after Orano's McClean Lake mill's sulfuric acid plant shut down.Operations at McClean Lake are expected to resume in two weeks, with no current impact on 2026 guidance.Cigar Lake produced 19.1 million pounds in 2025, with Cameco's share at 10.4 million pounds. Cameco Corporation (CCJ - Free Report) has temporarily suspended operations at Cigar Lake mine, citing operational issues at Orano’s McClean Lake mill, where Cigar Lake ore is processed. The mill is expected to resume operations in two weeks, and the company does not currently anticipate any impact on its 2026 production guidance for Cigar Lake. However, any prolonged outage at the McClean Lake mill could prompt a reassessment of that outlook.

The disruption stems from problems at the mill's sulfuric acid plant, which was forced to shut down for repairs. Orano is working to restore the acid plant and is also evaluating alternative sources of sulfuric acid while it awaits replacement parts. With limited ore storage capacity at Cigar Lake, mining activities had to be stalled until sufficient acid was available to allow milling to resume at McClean Lake.

Cameco increased its ownership stake in Cigar Lake to 57.418%. Located in northern Saskatchewan, Canada, Cigar Lake is widely recognized for its exceptionally high-grade ore body and long reserve life, making it one of the most valuable uranium mines globally.

In 2025, the mine produced 19.1 million pounds, with Cameco’s attributable share at 10.4 million pounds. For 2026, Cigar Lake is expected to produce between 17.5 million and 18.0 million pounds on a 100% basis. Based on Cameco's previous ownership interest of 54.547%, its attributable production was projected at 9.5-10.0 million pounds. Following the recent increase in ownership, the company is expected to update its attributable production outlook to reflect the same.

This is the second operational disruption Cameco has faced this year. In May, the company temporarily suspended operations at its McArthur River mine and Key Lake mill after severe flooding in northern Saskatchewan caused a partial collapse of the Smoothstone River Bridge, a critical transportation route used to deliver supplies to the sites. Cameco quickly established an alternative logistics route, restoring the flow of essential materials and enabling both operations to return to full production within a short period.

Despite the interruption, Cameco maintained the 2026 guidance for uranium production of 14.0-16.5 million pounds from the McArthur River and Key Lake operations, with its attributable share at 10-11.5 million pounds. The company expects consolidated attributable uranium production of 19.5-21.5 million pounds in 2026.

CCJ’s Price Performance, Valuation & EstimatesCameco shares have gained 30% in a year compared with the industry’s 22.6% growth. Uranium peers Energy Fuels Inc. (UUUU - Free Report) and Uranium Energy (UEC - Free Report) have gained 120.4% and 57%, respectively.

CCJ stock is trading at a forward price-to-sales multiple of 16.67X compared with the industry’s 5.42X. Energy Fuels is currently trading at a forward price-to-sales ratio of 18.59X and Uranium Energy is trading at a loftier 59.76X.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Cameco’s earnings for fiscal 2026 indicates year-over-year growth of 17.5%. The same for 2027 implies growth of 58.8%.

While the consensus estimate for 2026 earnings has moved down over the past 60 days, the same for 2027 has remianed unchanged, as shown in the chart below.

What Makes Franklin Resources (BEN) a Strong Momentum Stock: Buy Now?
BEN Franklin Resources
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Momentum investing revolves around the idea of following a stock's recent trend in either direction. In "long context," investors will be essentially be "buying high, but hoping to sell even higher." With this methodology, taking advantage of trends in a stock's price is key; once a stock establishes a course, it is more than likely to continue moving that way. The goal is that once a stock heads down a fixed path, it will lead to timely and profitable trades.

While many investors like to look for momentum in stocks, this can be very tough to define. There is a lot of debate surrounding which metrics are the best to focus on and which are poor quality indicators of future performance. The Zacks Momentum Style Score, part of the Zacks Style Scores, helps address this issue for us.

Below, we take a look at Franklin Resources (BEN - Free Report) , a company that currently holds a Momentum Style Score of A. We also talk about price change and earnings estimate revisions, two of the main aspects of the Momentum Style Score.

It's also important to note that Style Scores work as a complement to the Zacks Rank, our stock rating system that has an impressive track record of outperformance. Franklin Resources currently has a Zacks Rank of #1 (Strong Buy). Our research shows that stocks rated Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) and #2 (Buy) and Style Scores of "A or B" outperform the market over the following one-month period.

You can see the current list of Zacks #1 Rank Stocks here >>>

Set to Beat the Market?Let's discuss some of the components of the Momentum Style Score for BEN that show why this investment manager shows promise as a solid momentum pick.

Looking at a stock's short-term price activity is a great way to gauge if it has momentum, since this can reflect both the current interest in a stock and if buyers or sellers have the upper hand at the moment. It's also helpful to compare a security to its industry; this can show investors the best companies in a particular area.

For BEN, shares are up 2.71% over the past week while the Zacks Financial - Investment Management industry is up 0.42% over the same time period. Shares are looking quite well from a longer time frame too, as the monthly price change of 9.72% compares favorably with the industry's 1.1% performance as well.

While any stock can see a spike in price, it takes a real winner to consistently outperform the market. Shares of Franklin Resources have increased 34.16% over the past quarter, and have gained 40.28% in the last year. On the other hand, the S&P 500 has only moved 14.34% and 21.46%, respectively.

Investors should also take note of BEN's average 20-day trading volume. Volume is a useful item in many ways, and the 20-day average establishes a good price-to-volume baseline; a rising stock with above average volume is generally a bullish sign, whereas a declining stock on above average volume is typically bearish. Right now BEN is averaging 4,122,141 shares for the last 20 days..

Earnings OutlookThe Zacks Momentum Style Score encompasses many things, including estimate revisions and a stock's price movement. Investors should note that earnings estimates are also significant to the Zacks Rank, and a nice path here can be promising. We have recently been noticing this with BEN.

Over the past two months, 5 earnings estimates moved higher compared to none lower for the full year. These revisions helped boost BEN's consensus estimate, increasing from $2.71 to $2.79 in the past 60 days. Looking at the next fiscal year, 5 estimates have moved upwards while there have been no downward revisions in the same time period.

Bottom LineTaking into account all of these elements, it should come as no surprise that BEN is a #1 (Strong Buy) stock with a Momentum Score of A. If you've been searching for a fresh pick that's set to rise in the near-term, make sure to keep Franklin Resources on your short list.

It's also important to note that Style Scores work as a complement to the Zacks Rank, our stock rating system that has an impressive track record of outperformance. Set to Beat the Market? In order to see if WST is a promising momentum pick, let's examine some Momentum Style elements to see if this medical device company holds up.

A good momentum benchmark for a stock is to look at its short-term price activity, as this can reflect both current interest and if buyers or sellers currently have the upper hand. It's also helpful to compare a security to its industry; this can show investors the best companies in a particular area.

For WST, shares are up 4.24% over the past week while the Zacks Medical - Dental Supplies industry is up 0.91% over the same time period. Shares are looking quite well from a longer time frame too, as the monthly price change of 11.85% compares favorably with the industry's 2.29% performance as well.

In comparison, the S&P 500 has only moved 14.34% and 21.46%, respectively.

Right now WST is averaging 763,746 shares for the last 20 days..

Earnings OutlookThe Zacks Momentum Style Score also takes into account trends in estimate revisions, in addition to price changes. Please note that estimate revision trends remain at the core of Zacks Rank as well. A nice path here can help show promise, and we have recently been seeing that with WST.

Over the past two months, 1 earnings estimate moved higher compared to none lower for the full year. This revision helped boost WST's consensus estimate, increasing from $8.50 to $8.60 in the past 60 days. Why Lucid Stock Dropped Today
LCID Lucid Group
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Shares of luxury electric vehicle (EV) maker Lucid Group (LCID 8.86%) are tanking today. Investors can thank a rival EV maker for the move. Rivian Automotive announced a capital raise, and that has investors focusing on Lucid's capital needs, too.

Lucid shares dropped as much as 10%, and remained lower by 8.6% as of 12:15 p.m. ET.

Lucid's capital source Lucid could arguably be out of business had it not been for its close relationship with the Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund. The Public Investment Fund (PIF) is Lucid's largest shareholder and has provided capital in several investment rounds in the past few years.

Most recently, Lucid withdrew $500 million in capital from the PIF-provided Delayed Draw Term Loan (DDTL). As of the end of Q1, there was still $2 billion remaining in undrawn capacity. After Rivian announced a common stock offering last night that should raise about $1.5 billion, investors may be scrutinizing Lucid's capital needs more closely.

To be clear, the company still has a large cushion of available capital. After fresh capital was raised after the end of Q1, Lucid's total liquidity was approximately $4.7 billion. The company needs to steer investor focus to the underlying business now. Its new, luxury Gravity SUV needs to show some strong sales numbers when Lucid reports Q2 on Aug. 4.

That, along with any progress on its self-driving technology, could drive the share price higher in the coming months.

Corning stock falls: why are analysts backing the stock?
GLW Corning
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Corning Inc. GLW shares fell more than 4% on Tuesday, extending a sharp pullback as investors continued to sell artificial intelligence-related stocks despite analysts maintaining a positive long-term outlook on the glass and optical networking company.

The stock dropped 5.4% to $184.33 and was on track for its fifth consecutive daily decline.

Over the current four-day losing streak, Corning shares have fallen about 24%, erasing approximately $52.4 billion in market value as semiconductor and AI infrastructure stocks came under broad selling pressure.

Despite the recent weakness, the stock remains up 105% in 2026 and has gained 256% over the past 12 months, reflecting investor optimism surrounding AI-driven demand for optical networking products.

Oppenheimer analyst Martin Yang raised his price target on Corning to $230 from $210 while maintaining an Outperform rating.

“We view the AI-infrastructure unwind as an attractive entry point into GLW’s attractive long-term growth story,” Yang wrote.

Yang said Corning remains well positioned to benefit from near- and medium-term growth drivers as customers continue increasing capital spending on optical fiber infrastructure to support generative AI applications.

Bank of America also maintained a positive outlook on the company. Analysts led by Wamsi Mohan raised their price target to $243 from $223 and reiterated a Buy rating.

“We expect the quarter to reinforce that optical demand remains firm,” Mohan wrote.

According to the brokerage, investors are focused on whether Corning's optical networking business can sustain growth beyond the near term as the company prepares to report second-quarter earnings.

UBS also reaffirmed its Buy rating and increased confidence in the company's long-term growth outlook, setting a $228 price target.

AI infrastructure remains central to growth strategyCorning has increasingly been viewed as a beneficiary of expanding AI infrastructure investment because of its products for optical networking, telecommunications and semiconductor applications.

The company manufactures glass used in notebook computers, desktop monitors and televisions, while also supplying optical materials and networking products used across data centers.

Corning has promoted its Corning GlassWorks AI Solutions platform as a comprehensive portfolio covering optical connections throughout AI infrastructure, from data centers to chips and long-distance network links.

Several major technology companies have recently expanded partnerships with Corning.

In June, the company announced a multibillion-dollar agreement with Amazon to manufacture optical fiber for data centers. Earlier this year, Nvidia committed an investment worth up to $3.2 billion to expand Corning's optical networking manufacturing capacity in Texas and North Carolina.

Corning also secured a $6 billion agreement in January to supply Meta Platforms with cabling, optical fiber and connectivity products for data centers.

UBS said Corning's recent investor day strengthened confidence in the company's long-term financial targets.

The company increased its 2028 sales forecast by approximately 25% to nearly $30 billion and outlined a framework to reach $40 billion in annual sales by 2030.

UBS noted that the updated 2028 outlook was roughly 10% above previous expectations.

The brokerage raised its 2028 adjusted earnings per share estimate by 15% to $6.70 and introduced a 2030 EPS estimate of about $9.80.

The analyst cited stronger confidence in scale-out fiber demand, with Corning expecting fiber growth of 1.3 to 1.5 times the rate of GPU and ASIC growth.

UBS also highlighted the company's expanding Photonics business, which Corning expects to generate approximately $10 billion in incremental sales by 2030, supported by long-term customer agreements and Nvidia's previously announced investment.

FuelCell Energy Drops 10%, Bloom Energy Slides 8%, Plug Power Falls 5% Despite Positive News as Profit-Taking Hits Fuel Cell Stocks
FCEL Fuelcell
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Shares of FuelCell Energy (NASDAQ:FCEL) are down 10% to $26.89 in midday trading Tuesday, leading a coordinated slide across hydrogen and fuel cell names. Bloom Energy (NYSE:BE) stock is off 8% at $271.32, and Plug Power (NASDAQ:PLUG) stock is down 5% at $2.50. All three moves are landing on a broadly weak tape.

The declines are arriving without a negative company-specific catalyst. Each name actually has fresh positive news behind it. That combination points to profit-taking after outsized 2026 runs rather than any shift in the operating story.

The backdrop is heavy. The NASDAQ 100 is down 1.3% on the session, and the risk-off tone is hitting chips, memory, EVs, space, and AI miners alongside clean-power plays. Fuel cell names, up multi-fold this year, sit among the most crowded profit-taking targets when the tape turns.

Positive News Ignored as Traders Book Profits Plug Power just won a 50-megawatt electrolyzer order tied to Orica’s Hunter Valley Hydrogen Hub in Australia after the project reached final investment decision (FID). Plug Power will supply its GenEco PEM electrolyzers to what is billed as the largest Australian renewable-hydrogen project to reach FID. It’s a headline order for a business that has been slowly rebuilding credibility on execution.

Bloom Energy and Brookfield expanded their AI-infrastructure partnership to $25 billion, up from the initial $5 billion announced last October. The joint venture is aimed at delivering onsite power for hyperscalers and AI data centers. It’s the clearest institutional stamp yet on the Bloom Energy data-center power thesis.

FuelCell Energy rode a stack of catalysts into month-end, including Russell index inclusion, a $49 million EXIM financing deal, and analyst upgrades. Today’s pullback gives some of that recent gain back rather than resetting the underlying story.

Massive 2026 Runs Set Up the Pullback Bloom Energy stock has been the standout of the trio. Over the past year the shares are up 1,010%, powered by the AI power-demand thesis and successive guidance raises. Management lifted FY2026 revenue guidance to $3.4 billion to $3.8 billion after Q1 2026 non-GAAP EPS blew past estimates.

FuelCell Energy shares carried a triple-digit percentage gain into the session as well. The company’s sales pipeline grew to 4 gigawatts, up 267% from Q1 2026, with data centers making up roughly 90% of proposals. CEO Jason Few has anchored the story on a standardized 12.5 MW Energy Block aimed squarely at AI power demand.

Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Plug Power didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.

Plug Power stock has lagged the group but has still climbed off multi-year lows, up 79% over the past year. Q1 2026 revenue rose 22% year over year (YoY) to $163.5 million, and management is targeting positive EBITDAS by Q4 2026 and full profitability by the end of 2028.

What to Watch Into the Close Composite sentiment gauges still lean positive on the group. Readings sit at 65 (bullish) on FCEL, 64 (bullish) on BE, and 58 (neutral) on PLUG. Reddit chatter on Bloom Energy stayed bullish in the 76 to 78 range over the long weekend, suggesting retail is not panicking on the drawdown.

Investors can watch for whether the fuel cell trio finds support into the close, and whether any sell-side notes recharacterize today’s action as a buying opportunity or a warning about stretched positioning. Fresh analyst commentary on the Brookfield expansion could set the near-term tone for Bloom Energy shares in particular.

The bull case for the group remains intact. Bloom Energy’s expanded Brookfield joint venture, Plug Power’s Australian electrolyzer order, and FuelCell Energy’s growing data center pipeline all point to real revenue tied to the AI hyperscaler build-out. The secular “bring-your-own-power” trend behind the trade hasn’t gone anywhere.

However, these are unprofitable, high-volatility names, and FuelCell Energy’s trailing EPS sits near -$6.20 with no meaningful P/E ratio. Meanwhile, Plug Power still runs at deeply negative gross margins, and Bloom Energy’s valuation now embeds heroic growth assumptions.

When names like these post multi-hundred-percent runs, single-session drawdowns of this size come with the territory. Investors should consider keeping their position sizes modest across this cohort given the swings, as a single risk-off session shows how quickly sentiment can flip on stocks trading more on momentum than earnings. The next catalyst could be as simple as a fresh analyst note or a follow-on data-center power headline.

Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Plug Power didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.

The sell-the-news playbook strikes again Samsung didn't exactly announce earnings today. The company set the release date to July 30, alongside fresh guidance figures based on preliminary results. Revenue is up by approximately 129% year-over-year while operating profits surged 19-fold. Those are impressive results, powered by global demand for AI hardware. Samsung is both a leading chip designer and a top-three manufacturer of other companies' chip blueprints.

The results are impressive, but some investors expected even more. The stock was priced for even greater growth, and Samsung's stock was 10% lower when the Korean market closed.

The impact on American sector peers was immediate and brutal. Memory-chip rival Micron Technology (MU 5.74%) is down by 7.2%, microchip veteran Intel (INTC 9.55%) fell 10.6%, and chip-making equipment provider Lam Research (LRCX 7.27%) dropped 7.7%. That's terrible news for the Nasdaq indexes, where these chip giants carry heavy weightings.

Samsung's impact was milder on the S&P 500 index, where significant price jumps in NYSE healthcare stocks offset the tech rout. The Dow is showing 17 gainers and 13 losers right now. So Wall Street didn't take the AI hardware drawdowns as a broader market collapse.

Still, industrial titans Caterpillar (CAT 4.10%) and Honeywell International (HON 2.75%) posted declines of 5.8% and 8.5%, respectively. Combined, the two stocks erased 355 points from the Dow's index score. AI data center construction connects them to the Samsung story, and Caterpillar just announced the acquisition of privately held Skycatch, which surveys mining job sites with high-quality drone cameras.

But let's get back to Samsung. The market's logic here is essentially: "If things are this good now, they can only get worse." Investors decided Samsung's blowout quarter was a peak signal rather than proof of sustained demand.

Space Exploration Technologies (SPCX 5.22%) picked an unfortunate day to join the Nasdaq-100 index. The rocket and AI company dropped 5.4% in its debut as an index component. The Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (QQQ 1.31%), which tracks the Nasdaq-100 index, is down by 1.8%.

Oil had a good day, which usually means something caught fire somewhere. Sure enough, a tanker in the Strait of Hormuz was struck by a projectile early Tuesday. Iranian state television said the ship ignored warnings. The United States Oil Fund (USO +2.55%) jumped 2.3%. Negotiations between Washington and Tehran remain on hold until funeral processions for Supreme Leader Khamenei conclude on July 9.

The week ahead Three days of chip selling after an 82% first-half rally might just be healthy profit-taking. Or it might be the market finally acknowledging that AI expectations had gotten ahead of themselves. Either way, I expect more volatility this week.

Chip valuations had grown stretched after months of AI enthusiasm. Maybe too stretched. Samsung's earnings were genuinely impressive, and the reaction suggests investors care more about what comes next than about current results. That's not a healthy market mood.

Upcoming chip earnings and guidance will determine whether this is a brief pause or something more significant.

Oil Prices, Tech Selloff Sending Stocks Lower
WDAY Workday
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Stocks are struggling today, as chip weakness weighs on Wall Street. It all started overseas, after Samsung Electronics' AI spending concerns overshadowed a massive profit boost. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) hit an intraday record high out of the gate, only to pivot into the red midday. The S&P 500 Index (SPX) and Nasdaq Composite Index (IXIC) are also sharply lower, as investors rotate away from the semiconductor sector. Oil prices are an overhang as well, with crude prices reclaiming $70 after Iran attacked a Qatari tanker near the Strait of Hormuz.

Options bulls cheer solar stock upgrade. EV stock reverses on the charts after share offering. Plus, call traders eye CART; Workday keeps rallying; and Intel leads the laggards.

Maplebear Inc (NASDAQ:CART) is seeing a surge in options volume today. At last look, over 22,000 calls have changed hands, volume that's 21 times the average intraday amount. The July 50 call and August 50 call are where most of the activity is occurring, with new positions being bought to open at the latter. CART was last seen trading at $47.78, and is up 6.2% on the year.

Workday Inc (NASDAQ:WDAY) stock is bucking the tech selloff today, last seen up 4% to trade at $143.72. Although there's no clear catalyst, WDAY is poised to close above its 126-day moving average for the first time all year, after once more bouncing off a familiar floor at $110. Year-to-date, the shares are still down 32.7%.

Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) is near the bottom of the Nasdaq today, down 10.4% to trade at $109.30. Memory stocks are reeling from Samsung's dismal second-quarter forecast, with sector peers Micron Technology (MU) and Western Digital (WDC) also sharply lower. Intel stock hit a record high of $142.35 on June 30, but has since shed 22.8%. In 2026, the chipmaker is still up 197%.

Will Mondelez (MDLZ) Beat Estimates Again in Its Next Earnings Report?
MDLZ Mondelez
FMP Stock News
Original source text
If you are looking for a stock that has a solid history of beating earnings estimates and is in a good position to maintain the trend in its next quarterly report, you should consider Mondelez (MDLZ - Free Report) . This company, which is in the Zacks Food - Miscellaneous industry, shows potential for another earnings beat.

This maker of Oreo cookies, Cadbury chocolate and Trident gum has seen a nice streak of beating earnings estimates, especially when looking at the previous two reports. The average surprise for the last two quarters was 6.35%.

For the last reported quarter, Mondelez came out with earnings of $0.67 per share versus the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.61 per share, representing a surprise of 9.84%. For the previous quarter, the company was expected to post earnings of $0.7 per share and it actually produced earnings of $0.72 per share, delivering a surprise of 2.86%.

Price and EPS Surprise

Thanks in part to this history, there has been a favorable change in earnings estimates for Mondelez lately. In fact, the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) for the stock is positive, which is a great indicator of an earnings beat, particularly when combined with its solid Zacks Rank.

Our research shows that stocks with the combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) or better produce a positive surprise nearly 70% of the time. In other words, if you have 10 stocks with this combination, the number of stocks that beat the consensus estimate could be as high as seven.

The Zacks Earnings ESP compares the Most Accurate Estimate to the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the quarter; the Most Accurate Estimate is a version of the Zacks Consensus whose definition is related to change. The idea here is that analysts revising their estimates right before an earnings release have the latest information, which could potentially be more accurate than what they and others contributing to the consensus had predicted earlier.

Mondelez currently has an Earnings ESP of +1.53%, which suggests that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This positive Earnings ESP when combined with the stock's Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) indicates that another beat is possibly around the corner.

When the Earnings ESP comes up negative, investors should note that this will reduce the predictive power of the metric. But, a negative value is not indicative of a stock's earnings miss.

Many companies end up beating the consensus EPS estimate, but that may not be the sole basis for their stocks moving higher. On the other hand, some stocks may hold their ground even if they end up missing the consensus estimate.

Because of this, it's really important to check a company's Earnings ESP ahead of its quarterly release to increase the odds of success. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.

Toyota to invest $3.6B in plant expansion, will shift Tacoma production from Mexico to Texas
TM Toyota
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Toyota is investing $3.6 billion to expand its San Antonio, Texas, assembly plant, a move expected to create about 2,000 new jobs and bring Toyota Tacoma pickup production from Mexico to the Lone Star State.

The automaker announced Monday that it will build a second vehicle assembly line at its San Antonio campus, allowing the facility to assemble the Tacoma alongside the Tundra and Sequoia.

As part of the expansion, Tacoma production will gradually transition from Toyota's Baja California plant in Mexico over the next four years, according to the company. Toyota will continue producing Tacoma pickups at its Guanajuato, Mexico, plant.

The project will add about 2.5 million square feet to the manufacturing campus, effectively doubling the site's size by 2030 and bringing Toyota's total investment in the San Antonio operation to $8.3 billion since construction began in 2003. Toyota previously moved Tacoma production from San Antonio to its Guanajuato plant in 2020.

Toyota said the investment reflects its confidence in North America's workforce, innovation and long-term growth potential. The expanded facility will also incorporate advanced manufacturing technologies designed to increase production flexibility.

The announcement is another major manufacturing win for Texas, which has attracted billions of dollars in industrial investment in recent years as companies cite the state's business-friendly policies, workforce and available land. Gov. Greg Abbott said the expansion, supported by the Texas Enterprise Fund and JETI program, will qualify for a $20 million state grant and other incentives and reinforces Texas' position as a leading destination for advanced manufacturing.

Production at a new rear axle facility is also expected to begin later this year.

Toyota said it remains committed to manufacturing across the United States, Canada and Mexico while encouraging a swift resolution to issues surrounding the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement to help keep North America's auto industry globally competitive.

All You Need to Know About Nasdaq (NDAQ) Rating Upgrade to Buy
NDAQ Nasdaq
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Nasdaq (NDAQ - Free Report) could be a solid addition to your portfolio given its recent upgrade to a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy). This rating change essentially reflects an upward trend in earnings estimates -- one of the most powerful forces impacting stock prices.

The sole determinant of the Zacks rating is a company's changing earnings picture. The Zacks Consensus Estimate -- the consensus of EPS estimates from the sell-side analysts covering the stock -- for the current and following years is tracked by the system.

The power of a changing earnings picture in determining near-term stock price movements makes the Zacks rating system highly useful for individual investors, since it can be difficult to make decisions based on rating upgrades by Wall Street analysts. These are mostly driven by subjective factors that are hard to see and measure in real time.

Therefore, the Zacks rating upgrade for Nasdaq basically reflects positivity about its earnings outlook that could translate into buying pressure and an increase in its stock price.

Most Powerful Force Impacting Stock PricesThe change in a company's future earnings potential, as reflected in earnings estimate revisions, and the near-term price movement of its stock are proven to be strongly correlated. The influence of institutional investors has a partial contribution to this relationship, as these big professionals use earnings and earnings estimates to calculate the fair value of a company's shares. An increase or decrease in earnings estimates in their valuation models simply results in higher or lower fair value for a stock, and institutional investors typically buy or sell it. Their transaction of large amounts of shares then leads to price movement for the stock.

For Nasdaq, rising earnings estimates and the consequent rating upgrade fundamentally mean an improvement in the company's underlying business. And investors' appreciation of this improving business trend should push the stock higher.

Harnessing the Power of Earnings Estimate RevisionsAs empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock movements, tracking such revisions for making an investment decision could be truly rewarding. Here is where the tried-and-tested Zacks Rank stock-rating system plays an important role, as it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions.

The Zacks Rank stock-rating system, which uses four factors related to earnings estimates to classify stocks into five groups, ranging from Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) to Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell), has an impressive externally-audited track record, with Zacks Rank #1 stocks generating an average annual return of +25% since 1988. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>> .

Earnings Estimate Revisions for NasdaqThis exchange operator is expected to earn $3.87 per share for the fiscal year ending December 2026, which represents no year-over-year change.

Analysts have been steadily raising their estimates for Nasdaq. Over the past three months, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the company has increased 1.4%.

Bottom LineUnlike the overly optimistic Wall Street analysts whose rating systems tend to be weighted toward favorable recommendations, the Zacks rating system maintains an equal proportion of "buy" and "sell" ratings for its entire universe of more than 4,000 stocks at any point in time. Irrespective of market conditions, only the top 5% of the Zacks-covered stocks get a "Strong Buy" rating and the next 15% get a "Buy" rating. So, the placement of a stock in the top 20% of the Zacks-covered stocks indicates its superior earnings estimate revision feature, making it a solid candidate for producing market-beating returns in the near term.

You can learn more about the Zacks Rank here >>>

The upgrade of Nasdaq to a Zacks Rank #2 positions it in the top 20% of the Zacks-covered stocks in terms of estimate revisions, implying that the stock might move higher in the near term.

Up 14.81% in a Year, COWZ Proves You Don’t Need Apple
COP ConocoPhillips

The Pacer US Cash Cows 100 ETF (CBOE:COWZ) is having a solid 2026, up 6.4% year to date and 14.81% over the past year through July 6. Yet a fund built expressly to own America’s biggest cash machines holds zero shares of Apple, arguably the most famous cash generator on the planet. That contradiction is baked into the methodology.

What COWZ Actually Owns COWZ is issued by Pacer ETFs and tracks the Pacer US Cash Cows 100 Index, which ranks the Russell 1000 by trailing free cash flow yield and buys the top 100 names. The fund had $18.18 billion in net assets as of April 30, 2026, spread across 102 positions. The expense ratio was not disclosed.

The top holdings read like a checklist of mature, cash-generative businesses. Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM | QCOM Price Prediction) sat at the top at 2.67% of net assets, followed by ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) at 2.17%, CVS Health (NYSE:CVS) at 2.16%, and Ford Motor (NYSE:F) at 2.01%. Altria, Uber, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Pfizer, Verizon, and AT&T round out the upper ranks.

Why It’s Up The one-year gain traces back to a handful of leaders across sectors. CVS surged 56.84% over the trailing year and is up 30.76% year to date as its Health Care Benefits segment turned a corner. Ford tacked on 22.82% over the past year. QUALCOMM added 17.39% and ConocoPhillips 14.22% in the same window. The heavy tilt toward energy, healthcare, telecom, and consumer staples has done the lifting while high-multiple growth names were absent from the roster.

The Apple Absence, Explained Apple’s absence from a “cash cow” fund traces directly to methodology. Apple generated $98.77 billion in free cash flow in fiscal 2025, one of the largest figures ever produced by a single company. The catch is the denominator. Apple carried a market capitalization of roughly $4.59 trillion, a trailing P/E of 38, and a dividend yield of 0.34%. Divide that enormous cash flow by an even more enormous market value, and Apple’s free cash flow yield lands well below the level required to crack the top 100.

Compare that with a name COWZ does own. QUALCOMM produced $12.82 billion in free cash flow in fiscal 2025 against a market cap near $196.5 billion. Smaller absolute cash flow, dramatically higher yield relative to price. That is the screen doing its job.

Read: Are you ahead, or behind on retirement? SmartAsset's free tool can match you with a financial advisor in minutes to help you answer that today. Each advisor has been carefully vetted, and must act in your best interests. Don't waste another minute; learn more here.

The same logic sweeps out the rest of the Magnificent Seven. Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, and Tesla are also absent from the portfolio, a systematic outcome of the yield-based screen rather than a stock-picker’s judgment call.

What the Exclusion Means for a Portfolio For investors comparing COWZ with a broad market index, the trade-off is direct. Apple gained 15.22% year to date and 46.99% over the past year, both ahead of COWZ. Funds that hold Apple at index weights captured that. COWZ did not. In exchange, holders got heavier exposure to energy producers, healthcare cash generators, telecoms, and older-economy industrials, sectors that behave differently from mega-cap tech in a drawdown.

Concentration risk shifts as well. Without the mega-cap tech anchors, COWZ leans into cyclicals like ConocoPhillips (energy) and Ford (autos, dividend yield 4.49%). Those names typically move with commodity prices, credit conditions, and consumer demand, tracking cyclical rather than AI-driven forces.

The Takeaway COWZ does exactly what it says on the tin: it ranks the Russell 1000 by free cash flow yield and buys the top 100. Because Apple trades at a growth-stock valuation, its cash yield is not high enough to qualify, no matter how many billions it prints. Investors who want a value-tilted, cash-flow-first slice of the U.S. large-cap market may find that appealing. Investors who want mega-cap tech exposure will need to look elsewhere.

Rocket Lab Announces a Big Acquisition That Could Be Problematic for SpaceX
RKLB Rocket Lab USA
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Space Exploration Technologies (SPCX 5.36%), also known as SpaceX, went public last month. While its overall business is unprofitable, the area doing well is connectivity and the internet, which includes its Starlink subsidiary. It provides satellite internet service.

Competition, however, may be ramping up in that space, particularly with another rocket company, Rocket Lab (RKLB 7.93%), announcing a major acquisition. And that could be a big problem for SpaceX stock.

Rocket Lab to buy Iridium Communications Last month, Rocket Lab announced plans to acquire Iridium Communications in a cash-and-stock transaction worth $8 billion, calling it a "historical deal" for its business. The move will make the company vertically integrated, combining the launch capabilities of Rocket Lab, which is also involved in satellite manufacturing, with the satellite communications network that Iridium possesses. Together, Rocket Lab says it will be a "space powerhouse primed for growth." The deal is expected to close in the middle of next year.

The strategy is similar to SpaceX's and could result in greater competition for Starlink, which is the company's big moneymaker thus far. And it's not only Rocket Lab that Starlink has to potentially worry about, as there are other companies showing interest in this space as well; tech giant Amazon is also launching Leo in the near future, which is its own satellite internet provider.

Is SpaceX stock in trouble? SpaceX's connectivity segment may not attract as much investor interest as artificial intelligence (AI) or space, but that's the driving force behind the company's business these days. During the first three months of the year, the connectivity segment accounted for nearly 70% of the top line, which totaled $4.7 billion. It was also the only segment that wasn't in the red, with an operating profit of just under $1.2 billion.

An influx of competition could pose greater risks for SpaceX down the road, as it could slow Starlink's growth. If that happens, SpaceX, which is already unprofitable and burning through billions in cash, may require even greater cash infusions to continue investing in its AI and space objectives.

SpaceX is already a risky stock given its inflated valuation, and with more competitors potentially challenging Starlink in the future, it may have even more to prove. Investors are clearly having second thoughts about the space stock as it's now trading around the levels it was at when it first went public, and it may be due for an even greater decline in the future. This is a stock I'd tread carefully with.

Why Kratos (KTOS) is Poised to Beat Earnings Estimates Again
KTOS Kratos Defense & Security Solutions
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Have you been searching for a stock that might be well-positioned to maintain its earnings-beat streak in its upcoming report? It is worth considering Kratos (KTOS - Free Report) , which belongs to the Zacks Aerospace - Defense Equipment industry.

This military contractor has seen a nice streak of beating earnings estimates, especially when looking at the previous two reports. The average surprise for the last two quarters was 25.82%.

For the most recent quarter, Kratos was expected to post earnings of $0.13 per share, but it reported $0.16 per share instead, representing a surprise of 23.08%. For the previous quarter, the consensus estimate was $0.14 per share, while it actually produced $0.18 per share, a surprise of 28.57%.

Price and EPS Surprise

With this earnings history in mind, recent estimates have been moving higher for Kratos. In fact, the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) for the company is positive, which is a great sign of an earnings beat, especially when you combine this metric with its nice Zacks Rank.

Kratos has an Earnings ESP of +4.25% at the moment, suggesting that analysts have grown bullish on its near-term earnings potential. When you combine this positive Earnings ESP with the stock's Zacks Rank #3 (Hold), it shows that another beat is possibly around the corner.

Investors should note, however, that a negative Earnings ESP reading is not indicative of an earnings miss, but a negative value does reduce the predictive power of this metric.

Many companies end up beating the consensus EPS estimate, but that may not be the sole basis for their stocks moving higher. On the other hand, some stocks may hold their ground even if they end up missing the consensus estimate.

CompaniesLAGOS, July 7 (Reuters) - Nigeria's UTM Offshore said on Tuesday it had secured a 15-year gas supply agreement, removing a major obstacle to a final investment decision on its $3 ‌billion floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project, now expected in the fourth quarter after delays.

Under the agreement, a joint venture between Nigeria's state-owned NNPC Ltd and independent Seplat Energy Producing Nigeria Unlimited will supply 200 million standard cubic feet (5.7 million cubic metres) of gas per day to the UTM FLNG project, designed to produce 1.8 million tonnes of LNG per year from gas sourced from the Yoho field.

The Reuters Power Up newsletter provides everything you need to know about the global energy industry. Sign up here.

"The execution of this agreement establishes the long-term feed gas framework needed to advance project financing, construction and operations," UTM Offshore Chief Executive Julius Rone said at the signing ceremony in Abuja.

Rone said the agreement would provide certainty for investors, lenders and LNG buyers and ‌position the project for a final investment decision in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The project, in which NNPC holds a 20% stake, UTM Offshore 72% and Delta state government 8%, received Nigeria's first licence for a floating LNG export facility in 2024 as the government seeks to monetise large volumes of stranded gas reserves and expand LNG exports.

Nigeria holds some of Africa's largest gas reserves but has struggled for decades to convert much of the resource into commercial exports and domestic industrial use because of funding constraints, infrastructure gaps and regulatory uncertainty.

Front-end engineering and design of the project was completed in 2023 by JGC and Technip Energies, according to UTM.

Rambus Has AI Tailwinds But Here's Why We Are Still Neutral
RMBS Rambus
FMP Stock News
Original source text
© HelloRF Zcool / Shutterstock.com

Few small-cap semiconductor names have ridden the AI infrastructure wave as cleanly as Rambus (NASDAQ:RMBS | RMBS Price Prediction). Memory bandwidth is the choke point of AI inference, and Rambus sits directly in that value chain with DDR5 chipsets, HBM controller IP, and next-generation server module solutions. The question now is whether the stock has already priced in the boom.

Our 24/7 Wall St. Price Target for Rambus Rambus trades at $112.92 after a 32.29% pullback over the past month. Our 24/7 Wall St. price target for Rambus is $110.76, implying a -1.91% move over the next 12 months. Our model classifies the stock as fairly valued, with 90% confidence. Shares are sitting almost exactly at fair value.

Metric Value Current Price $112.92 24/7 Wall St. Price Target $110.76 Upside/Downside -1.91% Recommendation HOLD Confidence Level 90% Why We Could Be Wrong Our 24/7 Wall St. price target sits just below where Rambus trades today, and the AI thesis here is real. Product revenue tied to DDR5 and HBM has been the fastest-growing part of the business, and management just launched a DDR5-9600 chipset targeting AI PCs. Consider our target one datapoint. The bull case below outlines why shares could push well past $170.

From $65 to $174 and Back Rambus has been on a tear, gaining 73.72% over the trailing year and 22.89% year to date, but the stock has cooled. Shares fell 8.71% last week alone and sit 17% below the 52-week high of $174.10.

Q1 FY26 revenue came in at $180.19 million, up 8.1% YoY, narrowly meeting expectations. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.63 came in just under the $0.64 consensus. Product revenue rose 15% YoY on AI server demand, while royalties slipped from $74 million to $69.6 million.

The Case for $173 and Higher Bulls point to the $144.57 consensus analyst target and a bull-case trajectory that reaches $173.57 by July 2027, a 53.71% return. The engine is memory.

CEO Luc Seraphin said “The growth of AI inference and agentic workloads in the data center continues to drive demand for higher memory bandwidth”. Rambus dominates DDR5 RCDs, is shipping HBM4E controller IP, and just added a DDR5-9600 client chipset for AI PCs. FY2025 revenue rose 27.13% to $707.63 million, and operating income jumped 45.34%.

Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Rambus didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.

What Could Go Wrong The bear case starts with valuation. At a 54 trailing P/E and 17x sales, expectations are elevated. Royalty revenue is shrinking, operating margin compressed to 42% from 46%, and Rambus disclosed a DOJ antitrust subpoena. Insider selling has been consistent, with 26 insider sells and zero buys over the past year.

A DCF from Simply Wall Street pegs fair value at $68.22 to $73.96. Our bear case lands at $94.05. Bulls would counter that rising R&D (up 18% YoY) reflects disciplined investment in HBM4E and SOCAMM2.

Fairly Valued for Now The 24/7 Wall St. price target of $110.76 reflects a stock priced almost perfectly for its fundamentals. Rambus is a real AI infrastructure winner, but at these multiples the risk-reward is balanced.

I would get more constructive if Q2 FY26 product revenue lands at the top of the $95 to $101 million range and royalties stabilize. I would stay cautious if margin compression continues or the DOJ probe expands.

Extending our model forward, here is where Rambus could trade assuming the current AI memory cycle holds and margins gradually recover.

Year 24/7 Wall St. Price Target 2026 $110.76 2027 $112.45 2028 $116.20 2029 $119.80 2030 $123.39 These projections assume Rambus sustains DDR5 and HBM leadership. Meaningful upside or downside could emerge from HBM4E adoption pace, the DOJ investigation outcome, or a broader semiconductor cycle turn.

Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Rambus didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.

What Makes Gladstone Investment (GAIN) a New Buy Stock
GAIN Gladstone Investment
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Gladstone Investment (GAIN - Free Report) could be a solid choice for investors given its recent upgrade to a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy). This upgrade is essentially a reflection of an upward trend in earnings estimates -- one of the most powerful forces impacting stock prices.

The sole determinant of the Zacks rating is a company's changing earnings picture. The Zacks Consensus Estimate -- the consensus of EPS estimates from the sell-side analysts covering the stock -- for the current and following years is tracked by the system.

Since a changing earnings picture is a powerful factor influencing near-term stock price movements, the Zacks rating system is very useful for individual investors. They may find it difficult to make decisions based on rating upgrades by Wall Street analysts, as these are mostly driven by subjective factors that are hard to see and measure in real time.

As such, the Zacks rating upgrade for Gladstone Investment is essentially a positive comment on its earnings outlook that could have a favorable impact on its stock price.

Most Powerful Force Impacting Stock PricesThe change in a company's future earnings potential, as reflected in earnings estimate revisions, and the near-term price movement of its stock are proven to be strongly correlated. That's partly because of the influence of institutional investors that use earnings and earnings estimates for calculating the fair value of a company's shares. An increase or decrease in earnings estimates in their valuation models simply results in higher or lower fair value for a stock, and institutional investors typically buy or sell it. Their bulk investment action then leads to price movement for the stock.

Fundamentally speaking, rising earnings estimates and the consequent rating upgrade for Gladstone Investment imply an improvement in the company's underlying business. Investors should show their appreciation for this improving business trend by pushing the stock higher.

Harnessing the Power of Earnings Estimate RevisionsEmpirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock movements, so it could be truly rewarding if such revisions are tracked for making an investment decision.

Earnings Estimate Revisions for Gladstone InvestmentFor the fiscal year ending March 2027, this business development company is expected to earn $0.91 per share, which is unchanged compared with the year-ago reported number.

Analysts have been steadily raising their estimates for Gladstone Investment. Over the past three months, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the company has increased 2.2%.

The upgrade of Gladstone Investment to a Zacks Rank #2 positions it in the top 20% of the Zacks-covered stocks in terms of estimate revisions, implying that the stock might move higher in the near term.

TransMedics Completes PAD Aviation Investment to Expand in Europe
TMDX TransMedics Group
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways TMDX completed its PAD Aviation investment to expand its OCS National OCS Program into Europe.TMDX aims to build a pan-European air and ground logistics network for organ transplants.TMDX expects PAD Aviation to improve transport efficiency and support higher OCS procedure volumes. TransMedics Group (TMDX - Free Report) recently completed its strategic investment in Germany-based PAD Aviation service GmbH, marking a key step in expanding its Organ Care System (“OCS”) National OCS Program (“NOP”) model into Europe. The investment is intended to support the development of a dedicated pan-European organ transplant air and ground logistics network, enabling broader adoption of the company's OCS perfusion technology across the European Union.

From an investor's standpoint, the move strengthens TransMedics' long-term growth strategy by extending its integrated transplant ecosystem beyond the United States. Owning access to specialized aviation logistics is expected to improve organ transportation efficiency, increase donor organ utilization and support higher OCS procedure volumes across Europe. If executed successfully, the investment could enhance TransMedics' competitive positioning, deepen its presence in an underpenetrated market and create an additional avenue for sustainable revenue growth over time.

Likely Trend of TMDX Stock Following the NewsShares of TMDX have gained 3.4% since the announcement on July 6. In the year-to-date period, shares of the company have lost 41.4% compared with the industry’s 12.4% decline. The S&P 500 increased 9.4% in the same time frame.

The investment is expected to strengthen TransMedics' long-term growth prospects by enabling the company to replicate its integrated OCS National OCS Program model in Europe, where organ transplant logistics remain fragmented. A dedicated aviation network should improve the speed and reliability of donor organ transportation, expand access to transplant centers and increase the utilization of donor organs, thereby driving broader adoption of the OCS platform.

Over time, this vertically integrated infrastructure is likely to create a competitive moat, support higher procedure volumes, deepen customer relationships and generate recurring revenue opportunities, reinforcing TransMedics' leadership in the organ transplant ecosystem.

TMDX currently has a market capitalization of $2.38 billion.

More on the NewsThe strategic investment in PAD Aviation represents a key milestone in TransMedics' efforts to establish a dedicated organ transplant logistics infrastructure across Europe. The company intends to leverage PAD Aviation's capabilities to replicate its successful U.S. NOP model, which integrates organ procurement, transportation and clinical logistics to improve transplant outcomes. By extending this model to the European Union, TransMedics aims to accelerate the adoption of its OCS perfusion technology while enhancing the efficiency and reliability of organ transportation across the region. Management believes that combining its transplant expertise with PAD Aviation's operational capabilities will increase donor organ utilization and enable more patients with end-stage heart, lung and liver disease to receive life-saving transplants.

Founded in 2006, PAD Aviation is one of Europe's leading private aviation operators and operates independently of commercial airlines, making it well-suited for time-sensitive missions such as organ transportation. The company runs a 24/7 operational hub in Paderborn, Germany, allowing rapid access to transplant destinations throughout Europe. Its modern fleet includes nine Embraer Phenom 300 aircraft, supported by more than 40 highly trained, type-rated pilots.

PAD Aviation also holds a valid European Union Aviation Safety Agency Air Operator Certificate, underscoring its regulatory compliance and operational readiness. Through this partnership, TransMedics is laying the foundation for a scalable, dedicated air logistics network that could support the future growth of its European transplant business.

Favorable Industry Prospect for TMDXPer a report by Zion Market Research, the global organ transplantation market size was worth around $18.59 billion in 2023 and is predicted to grow to around $33.32 billion by 2032, at a CAGR of roughly 6.70%.

The organ transplantation market is growing as rising cases of chronic diseases increase the need for transplants, while advances in immunosuppression therapies improve patient outcomes and confidence in surgery. At the same time, innovations in organ preservation technologies are extending organ viability and boosting transplant success rates, supporting broader adoption.

A Recent Development by TMDXIn May, TMDX delivered mixed first-quarter 2026 results, where solid top-line growth was overshadowed by profitability pressure and an earnings miss. Quarterly performance was driven by growing OCS case volume, increased clinical adoption and expanding logistics services. While earnings per share declined year over year due to elevated investments, results still exceeded expectations, signaling underlying strength in the business. However, both gross margin and operating margin contraction during the quarter were disappointing.

Why Insulet (PODD) Could Beat Earnings Estimates Again
PODD Insulet Corporation
FMP Stock News
Original source text
If you are looking for a stock that has a solid history of beating earnings estimates and is in a good position to maintain the trend in its next quarterly report, you should consider Insulet (PODD - Free Report) . This company, which is in the Zacks Medical - Products industry, shows potential for another earnings beat.

This maker of insulin infusion systems has seen a nice streak of beating earnings estimates, especially when looking at the previous two reports. The average surprise for the last two quarters was 14.65%.

For the most recent quarter, Insulet was expected to post earnings of $1.14 per share, but it reported $1.42 per share instead, representing a surprise of 24.56%. For the previous quarter, the consensus estimate was $1.48 per share, while it actually produced $1.55 per share, a surprise of 4.73%.

Price and EPS Surprise

Thanks in part to this history, there has been a favorable change in earnings estimates for Insulet lately.

Insulet has an Earnings ESP of +3.36% at the moment, suggesting that analysts have grown bullish on its near-term earnings potential. When you combine this positive Earnings ESP with the stock's Zacks Rank #3 (Hold), it shows that another beat is possibly around the corner. The company's next earnings report is expected to be released on August 5, 2026.

Investors should note, however, that a negative Earnings ESP reading is not indicative of an earnings miss, but a negative value does reduce the predictive power of this metric.

Many companies end up beating the consensus EPS estimate, though this is not the only reason why their shares gain. Additionally, some stocks may remain stable even if they end up missing the consensus estimate.

Because of this, it's really important to check a company's Earnings ESP ahead of its quarterly release to increase the odds of success. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.

Is it Prudent to Retain Insulet Stock in Your Portfolio for Now?
PODD Insulet Corporation
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Insulet is positioned for growth as Omnipod 5 gains users across Type 1 and Type 2 populations. PODD's Omnipod revenues rose 33% in constant currency in Q1 2026, with Omnipod 5 now in 19 countries. Competition, SG&A investments and raw material and shipping costs could pressure PODD's margins. Insulet (PODD - Free Report) is well poised for growth in the upcoming quarters, owing to its strong momentum for the Omnipod 5 automated insulin delivery (AID) system for both Type 1 and Type 2 populations. The company is strongly executing against its long-term priorities to drive penetration, deepen competitive advantage, unlock new opportunities and scale profitably. However, macroeconomic pressures and intense competition could pose headwinds for Insulet’s operations.

In the past year, this Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) stock has lost 46.9% compared with the industry’s 27.7% decline. The S&P 500 composite has returned 23.6% in the same time frame.

The developer, manufacturer and distributor of insulin delivery systems has a market capitalization of $16.21 billion. The company’s estimated long-term earnings growth rate of 22.2% is well ahead of the industry’s 12.5% growth. PODD’s earnings surpassed estimates in each of the trailing four quarters, delivering an average surprise of 16.2%.

Let us delve deeper.

Upsides for InsuletOmnipod 5 Gains Market Share: Omnipod 5 remains differentiated as a fully disposable, tubeless AID system that is expanding its installed base across both the U.S. and international markets. In first-quarter 2026, total company revenues grew 30.1% in constant currency, driven by Omnipod revenue growth of 33% in constant currency.

Management noted that its global customer base grew nearly 25% year over year, driven by higher new customer starts and retention trends consistent with the prior year. In the United States, growth included greater seasonality tied to deductible resets, but new customer starts improved through the quarter and into early second quarter. Internationally, growth continues to be supported by new customer starts and the conversion from Omnipod DASH to Omnipod 5, with Omnipod 5 now available in 19 countries.

Progress With Strategic Actions: Insulet is focused on driving growth in the global automated insulin-delivery market by expanding sensor connectivity and enhancing the Omnipod 5 experience. In the first quarter of 2026, the company completed a limited U.S. launch of Omnipod 5 integrated with Abbott Laboratories’ FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus and plans a broader rollout of the Libre 3 Plus integration and its latest algorithm update in the coming weeks.

The company also enrolled the first participant in the EVOLVE pivotal study, which is intended to support a 510(k) filing in 2027. Supporting these initiatives, management raised its 2026 outlook, forecasting total company revenue growth of 21-23% and Omnipod revenue growth of 22-24%, while maintaining expectations for adjusted EPS growth of more than 25% for the year.

What Ails Insulet?Tough Competitive Pressure: Insulet competes against large, established diabetes device companies and newer entrants offering pumps, smart pens, and other insulin delivery approaches. As AID adoption expands globally, management expects competition to increase, which can raise commercial spending requirements and heighten payer negotiations.

In the first quarter of 2026, SG&A expense increased 21.7% year over year as Insulet invested in sales force expansion, demand generation and customer experience programs. Over time, competitive intensity can reduce revenue growth durability or limit the pace of operating margin expansion, which is mentioned in 2026 guidance.

Economic Uncertainty and Supply Exposure: Insulet operates in a global healthcare supply chain that remains exposed to geopolitical and macro uncertainty. Management cited incremental raw material and shipping costs tied to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East as an offset to its 2026 margin outlook. These factors may lengthen sales cycles, increase cost variability and reduce visibility into achieving the company’s 2026 operating-margin expansion target.

PODD Stock Estimate TrendThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for Insulet’s 2026 earnings per share has remained unchanged at $6.46 in the past 30 days.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the company’s 2026 revenues is pegged at $3.31 billion, implying a 22.2% rise from the year-ago reported number.

Key PicksSome better-ranked stocks in the broader medical space are Globus Medical (GMED - Free Report) , Integra LifeSciences (IART - Free Report) and Phibro Animal Health (PAHC - Free Report) .

GMED carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) at present. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

Can HCA's Capacity Expansion Strategy Fuel Its Long-Term Growth?
HCA HCA Holdings
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways HCA expanded sites of care, hospital beds and emergency room capacity in first-quarter 2026.HCA approved $5.5-$6 billion in capital projects to add beds and ER capacity over 24 to 30 months.HCA reaffirmed 2026 guidance as patient trends improved after early-quarter weather and seasonal pressures. HCA Healthcare, Inc. (HCA - Free Report) is making significant investments to expand its healthcare network, reinforcing capacity growth as a core component of its long-term strategy. Despite short-term pressure on patient volumes, it continues to add hospital beds, expand emergency room capacity and selectively acquire outpatient healthcare assets to meet future demand. In the first quarter of 2026, capital expenditures rose 12.9% year over year to $1.1 billion. During the quarter, it expanded its sites of care by more than 4%, increased hospital bed capacity by nearly 1% and added 4% to emergency room capacity.

The strategy extends beyond adding new facilities. Alongside continued investments in outpatient healthcare entities, the hospital operator agreed to acquire The College of Health Care Professions, a move that could help strengthen its future workforce. These efforts have expanded its footprint to 189 hospitals and approximately 2,600 ambulatory sites, including surgery centers, freestanding emergency rooms, urgent care centers and physician clinics.

The investment pipeline remains strong. HCA has approved $5.5-$6 billion in capital projects that are expected to add hospital beds and emergency room capacity over the next 24 to 30 months. While a milder respiratory season and January winter storms temporarily weighed on first-quarter volumes, patient trends improved through February and March, supporting the decision to reaffirm 2026 guidance.

The continued buildout of hospitals and outpatient facilities reflects HCA's long-term commitment to meeting rising healthcare demand. As these projects come online, they should improve patient access, support future patient volumes and strengthen its long-term growth outlook.

How Do Peers Compare?HCA is not alone in capitalizing on the shift toward outpatient care. Medical peers such as Tenet Healthcare Corporation (THC - Free Report) and Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS - Free Report) are also expanding their outpatient and hospital networks to meet growing demand for cost-effective, high-quality care.

Tenet Healthcare continues to expand its outpatient footprint through its USPI business while selectively investing in hospital operations. Tenet Healthcare's strategy focuses on increasing ambulatory surgery center capacity, supporting long-term revenue and earnings growth.

Universal Health is expanding its healthcare network through hospital projects, behavioral health facilities and selective acquisitions. Universal Health continues to add capacity to meet rising demand, supporting its long-term growth strategy.

HCA’s Price Performance, Valuation & EstimatesShares of HCA Healthcare have gained 10.4% over the past year compared with the industry's 13.1% growth over the same period.

From a valuation standpoint, HCA trades at a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 13.21X, down from the industry average of 16.57X. HCA carries a Value Score of A.

Are You Looking for a High-Growth Dividend Stock?
UNM Unum Group
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Getting big returns from financial portfolios, whether through stocks, bonds, ETFs, other securities, or a combination of all, is an investor's dream. But for income investors, generating consistent cash flow from each of your liquid investments is your primary focus.

While cash flow can come from bond interest or interest from other types of investments, income investors hone in on dividends. A dividend is that coveted distribution of a company's earnings paid out to shareholders, and investors often view it by its dividend yield, a metric that measures the dividend as a percent of the current stock price. Many academic studies show that dividends account for significant portions of long-term returns, with dividend contributions exceeding one-third of total returns in many cases.

Headquartered in Chattanooga, Unum (UNM - Free Report) is a Finance stock that has seen a price change of 15.5% so far this year. The insurance company is paying out a dividend of $0.46 per share at the moment, with a dividend yield of 2.06% compared to the Insurance - Accident and Health industry's yield of 1.36% and the S&P 500's yield of 1.34%.

Looking at dividend growth, the company's current annualized dividend of $1.84 is up 4.5% from last year. Over the last 5 years, Unum has increased its dividend 4 times on a year-over-year basis for an average annual increase of 9.80%. Looking ahead, future dividend growth will be dependent on earnings growth and payout ratio, which is the proportion of a company's annual earnings per share that it pays out as a dividend. Unum's current payout ratio is 22%, meaning it paid out 22% of its trailing 12-month EPS as dividend.

Earnings growth looks solid for UNM for this fiscal year. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 is $8.77 per share, representing a year-over-year earnings growth rate of 7.87%.

Investors like dividends for a variety of different reasons, from tax advantages and decreasing overall portfolio risk to considerably improving stock investing profits. However, not all companies offer a quarterly payout.

High-growth firms or tech start-ups, for example, rarely provide their shareholders a dividend, while larger, more established companies that have more secure profits are often seen as the best dividend options. During periods of rising interest rates, income investors must be mindful that high-yielding stocks tend to struggle. With that in mind, UNM is a compelling investment opportunity. Not only is it a strong dividend play, but the stock currently sits at a Zacks Rank of #3 (Hold).

Looking for a Growth Stock? 3 Reasons Why Cinemark (CNK) is a Solid Choice
CNK Cinemark Holdings
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Growth stocks are attractive to many investors, as above-average financial growth helps these stocks easily grab the market's attention and produce exceptional returns. But finding a great growth stock is not easy at all.

That's because, these stocks usually carry above-average risk and volatility. In fact, betting on a stock for which the growth story is actually over or nearing its end could lead to significant loss.

However, the Zacks Growth Style Score (part of the Zacks Style Scores system), which looks beyond the traditional growth attributes to analyze a company's real growth prospects, makes it pretty easy to find cutting-edge growth stocks.

Our proprietary system currently recommends Cinemark Holdings (CNK - Free Report) as one such stock. This company not only has a favorable Growth Score, but also carries a top Zacks Rank.

Studies have shown that stocks with the best growth features consistently outperform the market. And returns are even better for stocks that possess the combination of a Growth Score of A or B and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) or 2 (Buy).

Here are three of the most important factors that make the stock of this movie theater owner a great growth pick right now.

Earnings GrowthArguably nothing is more important than earnings growth, as surging profit levels is what most investors are after. For growth investors, double-digit earnings growth is highly preferable, as it is often perceived as an indication of strong prospects (and stock price gains) for the company under consideration.

While the historical EPS growth rate for Cinemark is 9%, investors should actually focus on the projected growth. The company's EPS is expected to grow 109.9% this year, crushing the industry average, which calls for EPS growth of 69.3%.

Impressive Asset Utilization RatioAsset utilization ratio -- also known as sales-to-total-assets (S/TA) ratio -- is often overlooked by investors, but it is an important indicator in growth investing. This metric exhibits how efficiently a firm is utilizing its assets to generate sales.

Right now, Cinemark has an S/TA ratio of 0.71, which means that the company gets $0.71 in sales for each dollar in assets. Comparing this to the industry average of 0.64, it can be said that the company is more efficient.

In addition to efficiency in generating sales, sales growth plays an important role. And Cinemark looks attractive from a sales growth perspective as well. The company's sales are expected to grow 11.4% this year versus the industry average of 7.6%.

Promising Earnings Estimate RevisionsSuperiority of a stock in terms of the metrics outlined above can be further validated by looking at the trend in earnings estimate revisions. A positive trend is of course favorable here. Empirical research shows that there is a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements.

The current-year earnings estimates for Cinemark have been revising upward. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current year has surged 3.5% over the past month.

Bottom LineCinemark has not only earned a Growth Score of A based on a number of factors, including the ones discussed above, but it also carries a Zacks Rank #2 because of the positive earnings estimate revisions.

You can see the complete list of today's Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

This combination positions Cinemark well for outperformance, so growth investors may want to bet on it.

Dycom Stock Trades at a Discount to the Industry: Right Time to Buy?
DY Dycom Industries
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Dycom raised fiscal 2027 guidance after a record backlog and strong demand for AI and digital infrastructure.DY expanded margins through disciplined execution, favorable project mix and growth in Building Systems.Dycom is boosting long-term growth through acquisitions, workforce investment and digital infrastructure. Dycom Industries, Inc. (DY - Free Report) is currently trading below the Zacks Building Products - Heavy Construction industry, with a forward 12-month price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 24.08, but above the broader Zacks Construction sector. The industry’s average currently is 25.48, while the sector’s valuation is 21.59.

Despite trading at a discounted valuation relative to its long-term growth prospects, Dycom is benefiting from powerful secular trends, including accelerating AI-driven data center construction, cloud infrastructure expansion, fiber-to-the-home deployments, wireless network upgrades and government-funded broadband programs.

These demand drivers have fueled a record backlog and prompted management to raise its fiscal 2027 outlook, providing strong multi-year revenue visibility. Supported by expanding margins, strategic acquisitions and growing exposure to high-value digital infrastructure projects, the company's current valuation appears attractive for investors seeking long-term growth.

Shares of this specialty contracting firm, operating in the telecom industry, have gained 13.1% in the past three months, outperforming the industry, the sector and the S&P 500 Index. Notably, during the same time frame, DY has outrun a few of the notable peers, including MasTec, Inc. (MTZ - Free Report) , EMCOR Group, Inc. (EME - Free Report) and Jacobs Solutions, Inc. (J - Free Report) . The price performances can be observed in detail in the chart given below, wherein MasTec is seen with a gain of 9.3%, while EMCOR and Jacobs tumbled 0.2% and 1.6%, respectively.

Let’s decode the factors backing Dycom stock’s growth prospects in the upcoming period.

AI-Driven Digital Infrastructure Demand TrendsDycom is benefiting from unprecedented investment in AI-driven digital infrastructure, creating a favorable long-term demand environment. Explosive growth in cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence workloads and hyperscale data centers is driving the need for fiber infrastructure, inside-the-fence connectivity, electrical systems and long-haul network deployments. At the same time, fiber-to-the-home expansion, wireless network modernization and government broadband initiatives continue to provide multiple growth avenues.

These favorable trends translated into a record first-quarter fiscal 2027 backlog of $11.9 billion, up 46.5% year over year, with a robust 2.2x book-to-bill ratio, providing strong revenue visibility. Customers are also extending contract durations to secure DY’s skilled workforce for multi-year projects, strengthening backlog quality and positioning it to capitalize on sustained digital infrastructure spending for years ahead. These market tailwinds not only support Dycom but also its close peers, including MasTec, EMCOR and Jacobs.

Margin Expansion & Improving Profitability OutlookDycom continues to demonstrate meaningful profitability improvement through disciplined execution, operating leverage and a favorable project mix. First-quarter fiscal 2027 adjusted EBITDA margin expanded 141 basis points (bps) year over year to 13.4%, while the Communications segment delivered a 31-bps margin expansion despite continued investments in workforce expansion and geographic growth. Meanwhile, the Building Systems segment significantly outperformed expectations, generating an impressive 17.7% adjusted EBITDA margin as Power Solutions ramped faster than anticipated.

Management expects profitability to improve further throughout fiscal 2027, with modest margin expansion in Communications driven by operating leverage and sustained high-teen margins in Building Systems. Continued scaling of data center projects, productivity improvements, disciplined project selection, successful integration of acquisitions and expanding higher-value digital infrastructure work are expected to support ongoing earnings growth.

Raised Fiscal 2027 Outlook Signals Sustained GrowthFollowing a record first quarter of fiscal 2027 that exceeded expectations, Dycom raised its fiscal 2027 outlook, reflecting confidence in both execution and end-market demand. The company now expects total contract revenues between $7.38 billion and $7.65 billion (from $6.85-$7.15 billion), driven by continued strength across Communications and Building Systems segments. Communications segment’s revenues are projected at $6.03-$6.20 billion, while the Building Systems segment is expected to contribute $1.35-$1.45 billion, excluding the pending National Technology Integrators acquisition.

For the second quarter of fiscal 2027, management forecasts revenues of $1.94-$2.01 billion (up from $1.378 billion reported a year ago), adjusted EBITDA of $284-$303 million (up from $205.5 million reported a year ago) and adjusted EPS of $4.40-$4.82 (up from $3.33 reported a year ago). Strong customer commitments, expanding fiber deployments, accelerating data center activity and improving margins support management's increasingly optimistic growth expectations.

Disciplined Capital AllocationDycom's balanced capital allocation strategy combines organic investments, strategic acquisitions and shareholder returns to strengthen its competitive position. The company continues investing in workforce development, fleet expansion, technology and operational capabilities while pursuing acquisitions that enhance technical expertise and broaden customer relationships.

The successful acquisition of Power Solutions has expanded Dycom's exposure to the rapidly growing data center electrical contracting market, while the pending acquisition of National Technology Integrators further extends its capabilities into structured cabling, security systems and end-to-end digital infrastructure. These acquisitions create meaningful cross-selling opportunities across communications and building systems, enhancing long-term growth potential. Supported by healthy liquidity, manageable leverage and record backlog, DY remains well-positioned to pursue additional accretive acquisitions while capitalizing on accelerating AI, cloud and broadband infrastructure investments.

Earnings Estimate Trend Favors DycomDycom’s earnings estimates for fiscal 2027 and fiscal 2028 have trended upward over the past 30 days to $16.35 per share and $19.95 per share, respectively. The estimated figures for fiscal 2027 and fiscal 2028 imply year-over-year growth of 36.6% and 22%, respectively.

DY’s ROE PositionDycom’s superior return on equity (ROE) indicates its growth potential. It provides solid investment returns relative to the industry average, as reflected in its current trailing 12-month ROE of 24.13%. This compares favorably with the industry's ROE of 22.65%. The factor mentioned above indicates the company’s efficiency in using its shareholders’ funds, along with its ability to generate profit with minimum capital usage.

Should You Invest in DY Stock Now?Dycom stock continues to trade below the industry’s valuation while benefiting from powerful secular growth drivers, including AI-driven data center expansion, fiber-to-the-home deployments, cloud infrastructure investments and government-backed broadband programs. Record backlog, strategic acquisitions and raised fiscal 2027 guidance provide strong revenue visibility, while margin expansion and disciplined execution are expected to drive sustained earnings growth.

Moreover, upward revisions to fiscal 2027 and 2028 earnings estimates, coupled with an industry-leading return on equity, reinforce confidence in the company’s growth trajectory. Although macroeconomic uncertainty and execution risks remain, Dycom’s discounted valuation relative to its long-term prospects offers an attractive risk-reward profile.

Thus, backed by a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) currently, DY stock remains a compelling buy at current levels rather than waiting for a better entry point. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank stocks here.

Implied Volatility Surging for American Water Works Stock Options
AWK American Water Works
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Investors in American Water Works Company, Inc. (AWK - Free Report) need to pay close attention to the stock based on moves in the options market lately. That is because the Sept. 18, 2026 $80.00 Call had some of the highest implied volatility of all equity options today.

What is Implied Volatility?Implied volatility shows how much movement the market is expecting in the future. Options with high levels of implied volatility suggest that investors in the underlying stocks are expecting a big move in one direction or the other. It could also mean there is an event coming up soon that may cause a big rally or a huge sell-off. However, implied volatility is only one piece of the puzzle when putting together an options trading strategy.

What do the Analysts Think?Clearly, options traders are pricing in a big move for American Water Works shares, but what is the fundamental picture for the company? Currently, American Water Works is a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell) in the Utility - Water Supply industry that ranks in the Bottom 21% of our Zacks Industry Rank. Over the last 60 days, our Zacks Consensus Estimate for the to-be-reported quarter has moved from $1.52 per share to $1.55 in that period.

Given the way analysts feel about American Water Works right now, this huge implied volatility could mean there’s a trade developing. Oftentimes, options traders look for options with high levels of implied volatility to sell premium. This is a strategy many seasoned traders use because it captures decay. At expiration, the hope for these traders is that the underlying stock does not move as much as originally expected.

Lead Plaintiff Deadline: July 13, 2026

The complaint alleges that throughout the Class Period the defendants created the false impression that they possessed reliable information pertaining to the Company’s long-term growth outlook through expansion of its key revenue platforms and remained confident in its revenue growth projections for fiscal year 2027, while also minimizing risks from slowing growth in its Network Solutions segment. In truth, Phreesia’s portrayal of its pharmaceutical marketing commitments as a durable growth driver of its Network Solutions segment was uncertain thereby putting the 2027 revenue target at risk.

Lead Plaintiff Deadline: July 17, 2026

TEX vs. CAT: Which Stock Is the Better Value Option?
TEX Terex Corporation
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Investors looking for stocks in the Manufacturing - Construction and Mining sector might want to consider either Terex (TEX - Free Report) or Caterpillar (CAT - Free Report) . But which of these two stocks offers value investors a better bang for their buck right now? We'll need to take a closer look.

There are plenty of strategies for discovering value stocks, but we have found that pairing a strong Zacks Rank with an impressive grade in the Value category of our Style Scores system produces the best returns. The Zacks Rank is a proven strategy that targets companies with positive earnings estimate revision trends, while our Style Scores work to grade companies based on specific traits.

Both Terex and Caterpillar have a Zacks Rank of #2 (Buy) right now. This system places an emphasis on companies that have seen positive earnings estimate revisions, so investors should feel comfortable knowing that these stocks have improving earnings outlooks. However, value investors will care about much more than just this.

Value investors also tend to look at a number of traditional, tried-and-true figures to help them find stocks that they believe are undervalued at their current share price levels.

The Style Score Value grade factors in a variety of key fundamental metrics, including the popular P/E ratio, P/S ratio, earnings yield, cash flow per share, and a number of other key stats that are commonly used by value investors.

TEX currently has a forward P/E ratio of 14.39, while CAT has a forward P/E of 39.26. We also note that TEX has a PEG ratio of 1.09. This figure is similar to the commonly-used P/E ratio, with the PEG ratio also factoring in a company's expected earnings growth rate. CAT currently has a PEG ratio of 1.91.

Another notable valuation metric for TEX is its P/B ratio of 1.65. The P/B ratio is used to compare a stock's market value with its book value, which is defined as total assets minus total liabilities. For comparison, CAT has a P/B of 23.94.

These are just a few of the metrics contributing to TEX's Value grade of B and CAT's Value grade of F.

Both TEX and CAT are impressive stocks with solid earnings outlooks, but based on these valuation figures, we feel that TEX is the superior value option right now.

Jim Cramer Calls Biotech “The Hottest Group in the Market” as He Predicts “Deals Are Going to Be Flooding the Market”
VRTX Vertex Pharmaceuticals
FMP Stock News
Original source text
On CNBC’s Mad Dash segment on Monday, July 6, 2026, Jim Cramer made one of his most bullish biotech calls in years, arguing that the sector could be entering a new wave of mergers and acquisitions as the regulatory environment becomes more favorable for dealmaking.

“There is a move in biotech that we have not talked about at all that is really extraordinary, and particularly since the change at the head of the FDA,” Cramer said. “If you look at that chart, this is the group that’s the hottest group in the market.”

Cramer argued that takeover activity, which slowed under the previous administration after an Amgen acquisition nearly faced regulatory opposition, is poised to accelerate. Cramer noted that “we have now waited for so many companies because there have been so few takeovers under the previous administration because of an Amgen deal that was almost blocked,” and predicted that “these deals are going to be flooding the market according to my sources. And you want to be long biotech. I have not said that in ages.”

Why Eli Lilly Could Lead the Next Biotech Buying Spree Eli Lilly (NYSE:LLY | LLY Price Prediction) is one of the primary acquirers driving biotech M&A activity, thanks to its strong cash flow. The numbers back that up. Lilly reported Q1 2026 revenue of $19.80 billion, up 55.5% year over year, with Mounjaro sales of $8.66 billion and Zepbound U.S. sales of $4.16 billion. Lilly also raised full-year revenue guidance to $82.0 billion to $85.0 billion.

CEO David Ricks told investors the company “continued investing in Lilly’s future growth through four acquisitions” in the quarter, snapping up Orna Therapeutics, Centessa Pharmaceuticals, Kelonia Therapeutics and Ajax Therapeutics.

Gilead Is Already Executing the Strategy Cramer Described Gilead Sciences (NASDAQ:GILD) is running the playbook Cramer described. It closed the $7.8 billion Arcellx acquisition for Anito-cel in multiple myeloma and signed deals for Ouro Medicines ($1.675 billion upfront plus up to $500 million in milestones) and Tubulis.

Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Eli Lilly didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.

CEO Daniel O’Day said Gilead is “adding potentially best-in-disease assets and platforms in oncology and inflammation.” The company expects roughly $11.5 billion in acquired IPR&D charges, which pushed non-GAAP EPS guidance to a loss of $(1.05) to $(0.65).

Amgen: The Deal That Changed the Biotech M&A Landscape Amgen (NASDAQ:AMGN) posted Q1 2026 revenue of $8.62 billion, with 16 brands growing double digits, including IMDELLTRA at +219%. Its obesity candidate MariTide is advancing in multiple Phase 3 studies, keeping Amgen relevant in the category Lilly currently dominates.

Vertex and Regeneron: Confirmed-Data Franchises Cramer’s M&A logic focuses on companies close to or already holding confirmed drug data that command inflated acquisition prices. Vertex Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:VRTX) fits that mold. CASGEVY and JOURNAVX drove more than 25% of quarterly growth, and Vertex completed its rolling BLA submission for povetacicept in IgA nephropathy, opening a fourth franchise.

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:REGN) is playing offense with capital returns, authorizing a new $3.0 billion share repurchase after buying back $803 million in Q1 2026. Dupixent global sales hit $4.88 billion, up 33%, even as EYLEA faces biosimilar pressure.

The Biotech Catalysts That Could Spark More Takeovers Cramer’s thesis on biotech is that a friendlier regulatory backdrop could reopen the biotech acquisition market after years of subdued dealmaking. Companies with strong balance sheets, such as Eli Lilly and Gilead, are already actively acquiring promising drug developers, while mid-cap biotech firms with attractive late-stage assets could become the next takeover targets. If that trend continues, investors may begin valuing biotech companies for both their growth prospects and potential acquisition capabilities.

Long-Term Utility Stock Signal Has Never Been Wrong
VST Vistra Energy
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Utility giant Vistra Corp (NYSE:VST) is trading 0.7% lower at $156.12 this afternoon, continuing its long-term consolidation below $180. The shares are still riding just below the year-to-date breakeven level, though a floor of support looks to have developed at the $140 mark.

That trendline could soon be cleared though, as a historic bull signal is now flashing for Vistra. According to Schaeffer's Senior Quantitative Analyst Rocky White, VST is trading within 3% of its 24-month moving average after spending the previous five months above that trendline.

This setup has appeared two times during the last 20 years, after which the stock was higher one month later both times, averaging a 9.3% gain, and higher three months later  each time, averaging an impressive 9.7% return. From its current perch, a move of this caliber would put VST back around $171 and above its year-to-date breakeven level.

A short squeeze could keep the wind at the equity's back. Short interest increased by 14.3% in the two most recent reporting periods, and the 15.36 million shares sold short account for 4.6% of VST's total available float. At the stock's average pace of trading, it would take shorts over three trading days to buy back their bearish bets.

Will Celsius (CELH) Beat Estimates Again in Its Next Earnings Report?
CELH Celsius Holdings
FMP Stock News
Original source text
If you are looking for a stock that has a solid history of beating earnings estimates and is in a good position to maintain the trend in its next quarterly report, you should consider Celsius Holdings Inc. (CELH - Free Report) . This company, which is in the Zacks Food - Miscellaneous industry, shows potential for another earnings beat.

This company has seen a nice streak of beating earnings estimates, especially when looking at the previous two reports. The average surprise for the last two quarters was 39.11%.

For the last reported quarter, Celsius came out with earnings of $0.41 per share versus the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.29 per share, representing a surprise of 41.38%. For the previous quarter, the company was expected to post earnings of $0.19 per share and it actually produced earnings of $0.26 per share, delivering a surprise of 36.84%.

Price and EPS Surprise

For Celsius, estimates have been trending higher, thanks in part to this earnings surprise history. And when you look at the stock's positive Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction), it's a great indicator of a future earnings beat, especially when combined with its solid Zacks Rank.

Celsius has an Earnings ESP of +1.30% at the moment, suggesting that analysts have grown bullish on its near-term earnings potential. When you combine this positive Earnings ESP with the stock's Zacks Rank #3 (Hold), it shows that another beat is possibly around the corner.

With the Earnings ESP metric, it's important to note that a negative value reduces its predictive power; however, a negative Earnings ESP does not indicate an earnings miss.

Global LNG Demand Could Surge 65% by 2050. Here Are the Top Energy Stocks to Buy to Cash In on the Boom.
ET Energy Transfer Equity
FMP Stock News
Original source text
When evaluating energy stocks as long-term positions, investors need to consider liquefied natural gas (LNG). Demand for that energy source is expected to jump by 700 million tons annually by 2050, representing a 65% surge from 2025 levels, according to Shell's LNG Outlook 2026.

Yes, 2050 is a long way off, but market participants need not worry about that. Other estimates indicate the global LNG market is on pace to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 7.1% from this year through 2035.

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) demand is soaring. These stocks could benefit. Image source: Getty Images

Predictably, some investors are apprehensive. The commodity itself and natural gas stocks have reputations as volatile instruments, but the good news is that some stout fundamentals support the LNG expansion trade. As just two examples, China's LNG imports are up 258% since 2016, and over that period, the number of LNG-importing countries rose to 49 from 36, according to Shell.

Add to that the fact that the past decade has seen the U.S. morph into an LNG behemoth. This country is now the world's largest exporter of that commodity, so there is an element of patriotism in the LNG equity trade. That's a positive for red, white, and energy independence, and these energy stocks could mint green on the back of LNG demand growth.

A familiar face ExxonMobil (XOM +2.31%) is typically viewed as an oil stock, and that's an accurate assessment, as the company is one of the world's largest producers of oil. It's also a major LNG player and is investing in that segment. Exxon has four large-scale LNG projects under way and expects to double its LNG portfolio by 2030 from 2020 levels. Those projects could lift the producer's LNG output by 40 million metric tons annually.

That is to say, the energy giant is bullish on LNG's trajectory. Exxon sees LNG demand rising by 3% annually through 2050, noting that by that year, natural gas will power 20% of global industrial activity. So it's clear there's demand for LNG, but meeting it requires scale. Not all companies possess it, but Exxon does.

Exxon's been one of the dominant names in the natural gas space for four decades, and it's engaged in LNG infrastructure, production, and transportation in a variety of markets, including Africa, Australia, and Papua New Guinea. In the first quarter, the company boosted U.S. LNQ exports by 5%.

A pure LNG play Investors seeking purity in liquefied natural gas stocks may want to consider Cheniere Energy (LNG +2.48%). Cheniere sure lives up to its ticker. A decade ago, it became the first U.S. company to export LBG, and two years ago, it became the largest domestic LNG producer.

Those are the headlines. Getting into the "nitty gritty" of the Cheniere story, like Exxon, this energy company is investing to meet future LNG demand. Cheniere is working on three expansion projects, one of which is expected to be fully operational this year, with the other pair coming online in 2028 and 2029. One of the attractive points of this energy stock is the long-term contracts the company inks with LNG customers, which provide clarity and stability.

Speaking of the long-term, Cheniere may be appealing to patient investors because it's a cash flow king. The company generated $1.67 billion in distributable cash flow in the first quarter. That was enough to increase its 2026 distributable cash flow forecast to $4.75 billion to $5.25 billion, up from $4.35 billion to $4.85 billion.

The dividend idea With a yield of 7.1%, Energy Transfer (ET +2.18%) rightfully earns its place in the conversation about oil dividend stocks. It's also deserving of its place at the LNG table because natural gas liquids are central to this midstream operator's pipeline suite, which is among the largest in the North American midstream space.

Said another way, Energy Transfer doesn't get its hands "dirty" with the production of natural gas liquids, but it is one of the premier intrastate and interstate transmitters of those products. There's clear demand for natural gas pipelines, underscoring why Energy Transfer is investing heavily in that part of its business.

In the first quarter, the company's natural gas liquids and refining business posted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) growth of $185 million, confirming an impressive growth trajectory.

There's an artificial intelligence (AI) angle here as well. Due to Energy Transfer's status as the king of Texas pipelines, it can meet fresh demand from data center hyperscalers looking to source energy straight from basin regions.

PAYO vs. V: Which Stock Is the Better Value Option?
PAYO Payoneer Global
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Investors interested in Financial Transaction Services stocks are likely familiar with Payoneer Global Inc. (PAYO - Free Report) and Visa (V - Free Report) . But which of these two stocks presents investors with the better value opportunity right now? Let's take a closer look.

We have found that the best way to discover great value opportunities is to pair a strong Zacks Rank with a great grade in the Value category of our Style Scores system. The Zacks Rank is a proven strategy that targets companies with positive earnings estimate revision trends, while our Style Scores work to grade companies based on specific traits.

Right now, both Payoneer Global Inc. and Visa are sporting a Zacks Rank of #2 (Buy). Investors should feel comfortable knowing that both of these stocks have an improving earnings outlook since the Zacks Rank favors companies that have witnessed positive analyst estimate revisions. But this is just one piece of the puzzle for value investors.

Value investors analyze a variety of traditional, tried-and-true metrics to help find companies that they believe are undervalued at their current share price levels.

The Value category of the Style Scores system identifies undervalued companies by looking at a number of key metrics. These include the long-favored P/E ratio, P/S ratio, earnings yield, cash flow per share, and a variety of other fundamentals that help us determine a company's fair value.

PAYO currently has a forward P/E ratio of 25.93, while V has a forward P/E of 27.27. We also note that PAYO has a PEG ratio of 0.76. This popular figure is similar to the widely-used P/E ratio, but the PEG ratio also considers a company's expected EPS growth rate. V currently has a PEG ratio of 1.91.

Another notable valuation metric for PAYO is its P/B ratio of 3.65. The P/B ratio pits a stock's market value against its book value, which is defined as total assets minus total liabilities. For comparison, V has a P/B of 18.24.

These metrics, and several others, help PAYO earn a Value grade of A, while V has been given a Value grade of D.

Both PAYO and V are impressive stocks with solid earnings outlooks, but based on these valuation figures, we feel that PAYO is the superior value option right now.

PNC Financial Rewards Shareholders With 18% Dividend Hike, Stock Up
PNC PNC Financial Services Group

Key Takeaways PNC increases its quarterly dividend 18% to $2 per share, boosting shareholder returns.PNC maintains strong capital with a 10.1% CET1 ratio and SCB at the 2.5% regulatory minimum.PNC continues buybacks with nearly 32M shares available under its repurchase authorization. Shares of The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (PNC - Free Report) gained nearly 1.3% during yesterday’s trading session after the company announced an 18% increase in its quarterly cash dividend to $2 per share from the preceding payout. The dividend will be paid out on Aug. 5, 2026, to shareholders of record as of July 20, 2026.

Earlier, in June 2026, PNC announced plans to raise its quarterly dividend following the successful completion of the Federal Reserve’s 2026 stress test. The increase reflects the company’s strong capital position, confidence in its strategy and outlook, and progress with the integration of FirstBank, acquired in January 2026.

Over the past five years, PNC has increased its dividend six times and delivered a five-year annualized dividend growth rate of 6%. Before the latest hike, the bank increased its dividend by 6% to $1.70 per share in July 2025.

Based on yesterday’s closing price of $253.20, PNC’s dividend yield stands at 2.7%, higher than the industry average of 1.7%. With a payout ratio of 39%, the bank is balancing reinvestment needs with consistent shareholder returns.

Apart from dividends, PNC continues to return capital through share repurchases. In July 2022, the company authorized a 100 million-share repurchase program. As of March 31, 2026, nearly 32 million shares remained available for repurchase under the authorization.

The company’s capital position remains strong, with its stress capital buffer (SCB) expected to remain at the regulatory minimum of 2.5%. As of March 31, 2026, its Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) ratio stood at 10.1%, comfortably above its regulatory minimum CET1 requirement of 7%.

PNC also maintains a decent liquidity position. As of March 31, 2026, total available liquidity, comprising cash and due from banks as well as interest-earning deposits in banks, was $31.7 billion. With no short-term borrowings and long-term debt of $63.9 billion as of the same date, the company maintains a healthy funding profile.

With robust capital buffers and a decent liquidity position, PNC appears well-positioned to continue efficient capital deployment. The latest dividend increase underscores management’s confidence in the company’s financial position and long-term growth prospects.

PNC’s Price Performance and Zacks RankOver the past six months, shares of PNC Financial have rallied 15.8% compared with the industry’s growth of 4.4%.

Other Banks Signal Higher Dividend Post 2026 Stress TestOther banks also announced plans to increase dividends following the completion of the Fed’s 2026 stress test, including Wells Fargo (WFC - Free Report) and Citigroup (C - Free Report) .

Wells Fargo intends to raise its third-quarter 2026 common stock dividend by 11% to 50 cents per share from the previous payout, subject to board approval in July. The bank also continues to support shareholder returns through its share repurchase program, with approximately $25.7 billion remaining under its $40-billion buyback authorization announced in April 2025.

Citigroup plans to increase its quarterly common stock dividend by 12% to 67 cents per share from 60 cents, subject to quarterly board approval, beginning in the third quarter of 2026. The company also commenced a $30-billion multi-year share repurchase program in the second quarter of 2026, reflecting its focus on returning capital to shareholders.

Will ResMed (RMD) Beat Estimates Again in Its Next Earnings Report?
RMD ResMed
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Looking for a stock that has been consistently beating earnings estimates and might be well positioned to keep the streak alive in its next quarterly report? ResMed (RMD - Free Report) , which belongs to the Zacks Medical - Products industry, could be a great candidate to consider.

This maker of medical products for respiratory disorders has seen a nice streak of beating earnings estimates, especially when looking at the previous two reports. The average surprise for the last two quarters was 3.48%.

For the last reported quarter, ResMed came out with earnings of $2.86 per share versus the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.79 per share, representing a surprise of 2.51%. For the previous quarter, the company was expected to post earnings of $2.69 per share and it actually produced earnings of $2.81 per share, delivering a surprise of 4.46%.

Price and EPS Surprise

For ResMed, estimates have been trending higher, thanks in part to this earnings surprise history. And when you look at the stock's positive Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction), it's a great indicator of a future earnings beat, especially when combined with its solid Zacks Rank.

ResMed currently has an Earnings ESP of +1.78%, which suggests that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This positive Earnings ESP when combined with the stock's Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) indicates that another beat is possibly around the corner. We expect the company's next earnings report to be released on August 6, 2026.

Because of this, it's really important to check a company's Earnings ESP ahead of its quarterly release to increase the odds of success. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.

Ingevity Shares Rise 25% YTD: Can the Stock Sustain the Rally?
NGVT Ingevity
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Ingevity shares have surged 24.8% YTD, outperforming the specialty chemicals industry's 18.1% gain.NGVT is streamlining via divestitures, acquisitions and cost cuts to improve margins and earnings quality.NGVT benefits from hybrid demand, boosting activated carbon sales and Performance Materials growth. Ingevity Corporation (NGVT - Free Report) shares have rallied 24.8% year to date. The company has also outperformed the Zacks Chemical - Specialty industry’s 18.1% growth over the same time frame. The rally has been driven by Ingevity's successful portfolio optimization strategy, improving demand for higher-value hybrid vehicle applications and pricing actions that have strengthened earnings growth and reinforced confidence in the company’s long-term growth outlook.

Let’s take a look at the factors that are driving NGVT stock.

Portfolio Optimization & Hybrid Vehicle Demand Drive GrowthIngevity is benefiting from its ongoing portfolio optimization and simplification strategy, which is aimed at sharpening its focus on higher-margin businesses and improving overall earnings quality. The company has made significant progress by divesting its Industrial Specialties business, Ozark Materials Road Markings product line and crude tall oil refinery, while continuing the divestiture process for its Advanced Polymer Technologies business. The company has recently completed the sale of its Ozark Road Markings business for approximately $65 million as part of these initiatives.

Additionally, value-creating acquisitions such as Georgia-Pacific’s pine chemicals business have driven earnings and revenue growth. The company has also undertaken actions to lower costs and boost profitability. The ability of NGVT to offset inflation through pricing power also enabled solid financial results despite an uncertain macroeconomic environment.

Alongside the portfolio transformation actions, Ingevity is benefiting from the adoption of hybrid vehicles. Following the expiration of EV tax credits, consumer preference has shifted toward hybrids, which has increased the long-term role of advanced and higher-value activated carbon solutions. This favorable product mix, combined with pricing actions, drove higher sales and stronger margins in Ingevity’s strongest segment, Performance Materials. Management also expects the transition toward hybrids to become a broader global trend, creating a long-term growth opportunity for its high-margin Performance Materials business.

Together, the company's strategic portfolio optimization and increasing exposure to higher-value hybrid vehicle applications position it for stronger earnings growth, improved profitability and sustainable shareholder value creation.

NGVT’s Zacks Rank & Other Key PicksNGVT currently carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).

Some other top-ranked stocks in the Basic Materials space are Albemarle Corporation (ALB - Free Report) , Carpenter Technology Corporation (CRS - Free Report) and Avino Silver & Gold Mines Ltd. (ASM - Free Report) .

While ALB sports a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) at present, CRS and ASM carry a Zacks Rank #2 each. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank stocks here.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for ALB’s 2026 earnings is pinned at $12.98 per share, indicating a 1,743.04% year-over-year increase. Its earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate in three of the trailing four quarters and missed one, with an average surprise of 74.5%. ALB’s shares have jumped 90.5% over the past year.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for CRS’ 2026 earnings is pegged at $10.56 per share, indicating a rise of 41.18% year over year. Its earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate in each of the trailing four quarters, with an average surprise of 8.95%.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for ASM’s current fiscal-year earnings is pinned at 34 cents per share, indicating a 17.24% year-over-year increase. Its earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate in each of the trailing four quarters, with an average surprise of 125%. ASM’sshares have gained 86.4% over the past year.

What this transaction means for investorsThe July 6 sale of InterDigital stock by its CTO Rajesh Pankaj occurred at a time when the stock  was down substantially from its 52-week high of $412.60 reached in 2025. However, his disposition is not a red flag for investors, since it was a non-discretionary transaction as part of a pre-arranged Rule 10b5-1 trading plan.

Insiders often implement such plans to avoid accusations of trading based on insider information. Moreover, the transaction was in line with previous dispositions of similar size. Dr. Pankaj also sold 1,500 shares in June as part of his trading plan. He retained nearly 68,000 shares post-transaction, demonstrating that he maintains a robust equity position.

InterDigital shares are down as revenue has declined. In the first quarter, the company produced $205.4 million in sales, a 2% year-over-year drop from 2025. This combined with a 57% increase in operating expenses led to net income of $75.3 million, a 35% fall from the previous year.
