DigitalOcean Stock Surges on Strong Q2 Revenue Growth
DOCN DigitalOcean Holdings
FMP Stock News
Original source text
DigitalOcean Holdings shares are climbing with conviction. What’s behind DOCN gains? Revenue Outlook Raises Questions About the Sustainability of Recent GrowthThe headline figure is a 29% year-over-year revenue increase expected for the second-quarter period, a dramatic step up from the 14% expansion the business delivered in the second quarter of 2025. Alongside the top-line beat the company said profitability metrics are also tracking ahead of plan with adjusted EBITDA margin and non-GAAP net income per share both on pace to finish at or beyond the upper boundary of guidance issued earlier this year.

DigitalOcean’s AI Customer Momentum Is AcceleratingCEO Paddy Srinivasan said customers are gravitating toward the platform because of its purpose-built architecture for inference and agentic applications and the cost advantages it offers over providers that simply rent out GPU hardware without the surrounding software layer.

DigitalOcean Expands Data Center Capacity to Meet DemandOn the infrastructure side the company locked in an additional 20 megawatts of data center space scheduled to become operational across late 2027 and early 2028 lifting its total secured capacity to around 155 megawatts. Management said conversations about securing further capacity beyond that are ongoing.

The stronger business trajectory is also expected to push the company’s full year revenue exit rate above what it had previously projected with specifics to be shared when formal quarterly results are released.

DOCN Shares Are JumpingDOCN Price Action: DigitalOcean shares were up 7.85% at $141.69 at the time of publication on Tuesday, according to Benzinga Pro.

SOFI Innovation: Are Coach and Composer the Next Growth Layer?
SOFI SoFi Technologies
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways SoFi added 1.1M members in Q1 2026, reaching 14.7M, while products rose 39% year over year.SOFI Coach helped nearly 70% of engaged test members take meaningful financial actions in early testing.Composer by SoFi lets investors build, test and automate rules-based strategies using natural language. SoFi Technologies (SOFI - Free Report) is leaning harder into AI as it turns its “everything app” into a more active financial hub. In the first quarter of 2026, the company added a record 1.1 million members, reaching 14.7 million, while products rose 39% year over year to 22.2 million. Cross-buy reached 43%, showing that more members are using multiple SoFi products.

That matters because SoFi’s model depends on deeper relationships, not just one-time account openings. Management calls this the Financial Services Productivity Loop, where brand awareness brings in members, more products build trust and higher lifetime value supports innovation. In the first quarter, unaided brand awareness hit 10%, showing that the platform is gaining visibility.

SoFi Coach fits into that plan. The AI chat tool helps members track spending, manage debt, plan goals and take next steps in the SoFi app. In early testing, nearly 70% of engaged test members took actions such as paying down debt or moving money into higher-yield accounts.

Composer by SoFi focuses on investing. The platform lets investors build, test and automate rules-based strategies. Users can create custom strategies, explore more than 2,000 community-built strategies or combine approaches into diversified portfolios while keeping control over rules and inputs.

The AI push comes as SoFi is already showing strong financial momentum. First-quarter 2026 adjusted net revenues rose 41% to $1.1 billion and adjusted EBITDA increased 62% to $340 million. If Coach drives daily engagement and Composer expands investing usage, AI could become a practical growth layer for SOFI’s member ecosystem.

How Are Other Competitors Faring?Upstart (UPST - Free Report) remains the most direct AI-driven lending peer to SOFI. Its proprietary models assess credit risk, detect fraud, price loans and support expansion into auto and home lending. The company says AI remains its growth engine despite profit pressure. In the first quarter of 2026, 91% of loans on Upstart’s platform were fully automated, with no human intervention.

Happen, Inc. (HAPN - Free Report) , formerly LendingClub, operates Happen Bank and positions itself primarily as a digital bank. It uses AI, machine learning and data-driven underwriting to support credit decisions, risk assessment and loan pricing. Its rebranding reflects a shift beyond marketplace lending toward a broader digital banking platform. In first-quarter 2026, it generated $2.7 billion in loan originations, up 31% year over year.

SOFI’s Price Performance, Valuation, and EstimatesShares of SOFI have gained 9% in the past three months, outperforming the broader industry but underperforming the S&P 500 Index.

From a valuation standpoint, SOFI trades at a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 26.67X, well above the industry’s 9.80X. It carries a Value Score of F.

SOFI’s estimates have remained unchanged over the past month. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for full-year 2026 EPS is pegged at 59 cents.

Sterling Stock Trades at a Premium: Is More Upside Ahead?
STRL Sterling Construction Company
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Sterling shares surged 215.9% in a year, far outpacing the industry, sector and S&P 500.STRL's first-quarter revenues jumped 92%, adjusted EPS rose 120%, and full-year guidance increased.Sterling's record backlog and E-Infrastructure growth support visibility into future project demand. Sterling Infrastructure (STRL - Free Report) has been one of the top-performing infrastructure stocks over the past year, with its shares soaring 215.9%. The rally has far outpaced the Zacks Engineering - R&D Services industry's 36.8% gain, the Zacks Construction sector's 18.9% increase and the S&P 500's 23.9% return. Investors have rewarded the company for delivering outstanding financial performance while successfully positioning itself at the center of several long-term infrastructure trends, including AI-driven data centers, semiconductor manufacturing and mission-critical construction.

STRL Price Performance (1 Year)

The sharp rise in the stock, however, has pushed Sterling's valuation above the industry average. The stock currently trades at a forward 12-month price-to-earnings (P/E) multiple of 31.76X compared with the industry average of 29.8X. While the premium is not excessive, it raises an important question for investors: Does Sterling's business outlook justify paying more for the stock, or has most of its future growth already been reflected in the current share price?

STRL Valuation vs Industry - P/E (F12M)

Sterling's latest operating performance suggests the premium may still be supported. The company continues to report record earnings, rapidly expanding backlog and improving guidance, while analysts remain overwhelmingly bullish on its long-term prospects.

Sterling's Growth Story Remains StrongSterling's investment case continues to be supported by powerful earnings momentum and growing exposure to some of the fastest-growing infrastructure markets.

The company's first-quarter 2026 performance demonstrated that demand remains exceptionally strong. Revenues surged 92% year over year, while adjusted earnings per share jumped 120%. Adjusted EBITDA more than doubled, supported by expanding margins and strong execution across large infrastructure projects. Following these results, management raised its full-year guidance, expecting revenues between $3.7 billion and $3.8 billion and adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $18.40-$19.05.

Analysts have become increasingly optimistic as well. Over the past 60 days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 earnings has increased to $19.12 per share from $13.65, reflecting expected growth of 75.7% from 2025. Revenues are projected to climb 59.2% in 2026, followed by another 29.1% increase in 2027, while EPS is expected to grow another 35.1%.

Wall Street also remains highly positive on the stock. Sterling carries an Average Brokerage Recommendation (ABR) of 1.00, with all nine covering analysts rating the shares a Strong Buy. The average price target of $945.71 suggests roughly 32% upside from current levels.

Data Centers & Semiconductors Drive Long-Term OpportunityThe biggest driver of Sterling's future growth continues to be its rapidly expanding E-Infrastructure business.

First-quarter E-Infrastructure revenues increased 174%, while adjusted operating income climbed 177%, benefiting from continued investment in data centers and other mission-critical projects. Management noted that more than 90% of the segment's backlog now comes from mission-critical projects, including data centers, advanced manufacturing and semiconductor facilities.

The company also secured the initial phase of a large semiconductor fabrication campus during the quarter. Management believes this award represents only the beginning of a much larger semiconductor opportunity expected to accelerate later this decade. Sterling also continues expanding into new geographic markets as hyperscale customers increase investments across Texas, the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest.

Another important advantage is Sterling's growing ability to provide both site development and electrical services through the CEC acquisition. Management said that cross-selling opportunities are materializing much faster than originally expected, allowing the company to secure integrated contracts that improve productivity while supporting future margin expansion.

STRL’s Backlog and Acquisitions Provide Better VisibilitySterling's record backlog provides another reason for investor confidence. Signed backlog reached $3.8 billion at the end of the first quarter, up 78% year over year, while combined backlog climbed 131% to $5.15 billion. Including unsigned awards and future project phases, Sterling now has visibility into nearly $6.5 billion of future work. Management believes increasing project size, complexity and duration continues to strengthen long-term earnings visibility.

The company is also using acquisitions to expand both its capabilities and geographic reach. After successfully integrating CEC, Sterling recently acquired Stone Ridge Contracting, strengthening its site development operations across the Pacific Northwest and Texas. Stone Ridge is expected to generate between $180 million and $200 million of revenues during 2026 while further expanding Sterling's presence in high-growth data center and industrial markets.

Strong cash generation and a healthy balance sheet provide additional flexibility to pursue further acquisitions while continuing share repurchases.

Premium Valuation Leaves Less Room for ErrorAlthough Sterling's long-term outlook remains attractive, investors should recognize that expectations have become much higher following the stock's remarkable rally.

At 31.76X forward earnings, Sterling trades above the industry average. Such a valuation requires the company to continue delivering exceptional execution, sustained earnings growth and steady margin expansion.

The Building Solutions segment also remains under pressure. While first-quarter revenues improved modestly, management continues to expect residential construction markets to remain challenging throughout 2026 because of affordability pressures.

In addition, Sterling's growth increasingly depends on continued investment in AI infrastructure, hyperscale data centers and semiconductor manufacturing. Any slowdown in these capital spending trends, project delays or weaker customer investment could reduce future growth expectations. Likewise, integrating acquisitions while maintaining industry-leading margins across rapidly expanding operations remains an ongoing execution challenge.

Sterling vs. Its CompetitorsSterling competes with EMCOR Group (EME - Free Report) , MasTec (MTZ - Free Report) and Granite Construction (GVA - Free Report) across data centers, utilities, transportation and other large infrastructure projects.

Sterling has significantly outperformed all three competitors over the past year, with its 215.9% gain comfortably exceeding MasTec's 126.3% increase, Granite Construction's 60.2% rise and EMCOR's 45.5% advance. The superior stock performance reflects Sterling's faster earnings growth and increasing exposure to AI-related infrastructure spending.

Valuation tells a balanced story. Sterling's forward P/E multiple of 31.76X sits above EMCOR's 25.27X but below MasTec's 36.18X, while Granite Construction trades at a lower valuation than Sterling. EMCOR offers investors a less expensive alternative with strong execution, MasTec commands the richest valuation because of its own infrastructure growth prospects, while Granite Construction provides steadier exposure to traditional public infrastructure markets. Sterling appears reasonably valued relative to its expected growth and sits between the lower-risk EMCOR and the higher-valued MasTec.

Is STRL Stock Still a Buy?Sterling is no longer a bargain after more than tripling over the past year, but its premium valuation appears supported by equally impressive business momentum.

The company continues benefiting from favorable long-term trends in AI infrastructure, hyperscale data centers, semiconductor manufacturing and advanced industrial construction. Record backlog, rising analyst estimates, expanding margins, disciplined capital allocation and strategic acquisitions further strengthen its growth outlook.

While investors should expect occasional volatility after such a strong rally, Sterling's improving fundamentals suggest its growth story remains intact. Backed by a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), the stock still appears capable of delivering further upside for long-term investors, even while trading at a modest premium to the industry. Does Werner Stock's Lower Valuation Indicate a Buying Opportunity?
WERN Werner Enterprises
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Werner trades at a discount forward P/S ratio compared to its industry average, signaling a cheap valuation.Werner has a consistent track record of paying out dividends since 1987. WERN stock has gained in the past three months, and outperforms its industry and peers like ODFL and KNX. Werner Enterprises, Inc. (WERN - Free Report) looks cheap from a valuation standpoint. Considering the forward 12-month price-to-sales ratio (P/S-F12M), Werner is trading at a discount compared to the industry.

The stock has a forward 12-month P/S-F12M of 0.70X compared with 2.66X for the industry over the past five years. The company’s forward 12-month P/S-F12M ratio is also below the median level of 0.74X over the past five years. These factors indicate that the stock’s valuation is attractive. WERN has a Value Score of A.

Werner P/S Ratio (Forward 12 Months) Vs. Industry Image Source: Zacks Investment Research

Now, the question is whether it is worth buying, holding, or selling the Werner stock at current prices. Let us delve deeper to find out.

Tailwinds Working in Favor of Werner StockWerner's top line continues to benefit from strength across both its Truckload Transportation Services segment and Logistics segment. The company stands strong on the back of its dedicated revenue and fleet size growth, FirstFleet acquisition, improving rates and a robust 95% customer retention rate. Restructuring in its One-Way Truckload business has also helped WERN witness a rise in revenue per truck. Growth in Intermodal and Final Mile is aiding Logistics revenues. With constant cost reduction efforts and focus on safety, service and innovation, Werner is hopeful of delivering improved financial results as market conditions tighten throughout the year.

WERN’s solid balance sheet increases financial flexibility. The company ended first-quarter 2026 with cash and cash equivalents of $61.54 million, higher than the current debt level of $8.60 million. This implies that the company has sufficient cash to meet its current debt obligations.

Further, Werner’s current ratio (a measure of liquidity) at the end of first-quarter 2026 stood at 1.44, which is higher than the industry's reading of 1.10. The favorable comparison with respect to the current ratio looks encouraging. This may imply that the risk of default is less. Also, a current ratio greater than 1.0 is usually considered good for a company.

A strong balance sheet enables the company to reward shareholders with dividends and share repurchases. WERN has a consistent track record of paying out dividends since 1987. Dividend-paying stocks like WERN are generally safe bets for creating wealth, as these payouts act as a hedge against economic uncertainty. As a reflection of its shareholder-friendly stance, in 2022, WERN paid dividends of $32.1 million and repurchased shares worth $110.4 million. In 2023, WERN paid dividends of $34.20 million (did not repurchase any shares). In 2024, WERN paid dividends of $35.1 million and repurchased shares worth $67.1 million.

During 2025, WERN paid dividends of $34.1 million and repurchased shares worth $55.5 million. As of March 31, 2026, WERN had 5.0 million shares remaining under its share repurchase authorization. Such shareholder-friendly initiatives should boost investor confidence and positively impact the bottom line.

WERN Stock’s Price PerformanceShares of WERN stock have gained 35.3% over the past three months, outperforming the transportation-truck industry’s 9.8% surge, as well as that of other industry players, Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. (ODFL - Free Report) and Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings Inc. (KNX - Free Report) within the same time frame.

WERN Stock’s Three-Month Price Comparison Image Source: Zacks Investment Research

What Do Earnings Estimates Say for WERN?The positive sentiment surrounding WERN stock is evident from the fact that the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the third quarter of 2026 and the fourth quarter of 2026 earnings has been revised upward in the past 90 days. The consensus mark for 2026 and 2027 earnings has also been projected northward in the past 90 days.

The favorable estimate revisions indicate brokers’ confidence in the stock.

Time to Buy WERN StockIt is understood that WERN stock is currently attractively valued. Consistent shareholder-friendly initiatives boost investor confidence and positively impact the bottom line. WERN has a consistent track record of paying out dividends since 1987. A solid balance sheet allows the company to continue paying dividends and buying back shares, reflecting its pro-shareholder stance. Apart from being shareholder-friendly, Werner's top line continues to benefit from strength across both its Truckload Transportation Services segment and Logistics segment.

We believe that the positives surrounding the stock (as highlighted throughout the write-up) outweigh the concerns regarding rising expenses related to salaries, wages, and benefits, equipment, maintenance, fuel, and other expenses and driver shortage issues. We, therefore, suggest investors add Werner stock to their portfolios for healthy returns. The company’s Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) further supports our thesis. Host Hotels Gains 18.8% in Three Months: Will the Trend Last?
HST Host Hotels & Resorts
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways HST shares gained 18.8% in three months, supported by demand in key U.S. and Sunbelt markets.HST raised 2026 comparable hotel RevPAR and total RevPAR growth guidance after a strong first quarter.Host Hotels backs growth with capital recycling, strong liquidity and ongoing dividends and share repurchases. Shares of Host Hotels & Resorts Inc. (HST - Free Report) have gained 18.8% in the past three months compared with the industry’s growth of 2.3%.

Host Hotels, which has a portfolio of luxury and upper-upscale hotels in top U.S. markets and the Sunbelt region, is poised to benefit from the strong demand drivers in these markets.

Strong leisure demand and improving group business are expected to support the RevPAR growth through healthy occupancy trends. Also, a strategic capital-recycling program and a healthy balance sheet augur well.

Analysts seem positive on this lodging REIT, which currently carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). The Zacks Consensus Estimate for its 2026 FFO per share has been revised 2 cents northward to $2.13 over the past month.

Factors Behind HST’s Share Price RiseHost Hotels has a strong Sunbelt exposure and a presence in the top 21 U.S. markets. Its properties are strategically located in central business districts, near major airports and resort and conference destinations, which support both leisure and business travel demand.

In the first quarter of 2026, comparable hotel RevPAR rose 4.4% year over year, while comparable hotel total RevPAR increased 4.6%. Reflecting solid demand trends, management raised full-year 2026 comparable hotel RevPAR growth guidance to 3-4.5% and total RevPAR growth guidance to 3.5-5%. The outlook is supported by continued leisure and group travel demand, as well as incremental demand expected from major events, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup. With supply growth in its markets and chain scales remaining low, this backdrop should support continued RevPAR growth.

Host Hotels continues to sell non-strategic assets and redeploy the proceeds into higher-quality hotels and portfolio reinvestment. Per the company’s May 2026 Investor Presentation, from 2021 to 2026, it completed $2.9 billion of dispositions at a 16.2x EBITDA multiple. Its acquisitions during this period totaled $3.3 billion at a 13.3x EBITDA multiple. With the hotel transaction activity remaining relatively muted, the company’s scale and investment-grade balance sheet provide the flexibility to pursue acquisitions and continue capital recycling when valuations are favorable.

Host Hotels maintains a strong balance sheet that provides flexibility to reinvest in its portfolio. As of March 31, 2026, the company had approximately $3.4 billion of total available liquidity. Total debt was approximately $5.1 billion, with a weighted average maturity of 4.9 years and a weighted average interest rate of 4.8%. The company had no significant debt maturities in 2026. Net leverage was 2.5x on a credit facility basis, while 99% of the consolidated portfolio was unencumbered, underscoring its financial flexibility. This strong liquidity position should help Host Hotels fund its 2026 capital program while preserving financial flexibility for acquisitions and shareholder returns, including dividends and share repurchases.

Host Hotels continues to emphasize shareholder returns through dividends and repurchases. The board authorized a regular quarterly dividend of 20 cents per share and a special dividend of 72-cent per share, payable in mid-July to stockholders of record at the end of June. During the first quarter, the company repurchased 4.0 million shares for $75 million at an average price of $18.97, and it had $405 million of remaining authorization at quarter end. This supports continued capital returns to shareholders.

With the factors mentioned above, the positive trend in the stock is expected to continue in the near term.

Risks Likely to Affect HST’s Positive TrendMacroeconomic uncertainty and a cautious approach by many businesses are likely to hurt demand for its properties in the near term. The competitive landscape and elevated interest expenses are other concerns.

Stocks to ConsiderSome better-ranked stocks from the broader REIT sector are Cousins Properties (CUZ - Free Report) and Welltower (WELL - Free Report) , each carrying a Zacks Rank of #2 (Buy) at present. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for CUZ’s 2026 FFO per share is pegged at $2.95, which indicates year-over-year growth of 3.87%.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for WELL’s full-year FFO per share is pinned at $6.32, which calls for an increase of 19.47% from the year-ago period’s level.

Note: Anything related to earnings presented in this write-up represents FFO, a widely used metric to gauge the performance of REITs.

Here's Why You Should Add PacBio Stock to Your Portfolio Now
PACB Pacific Biosciences of California
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways PacBio gains from product development and a Q1 earnings beat despite funding challenges.PACB's SPRQ-Nx chemistry boosts yields and targets sub-$300 genome sequencing at scale.PacBio sees research funding uncertainty weighing on Revio and Vega demand through 2026. Pacific Biosciences of California, Inc. (PACB - Free Report) , popularly known as PacBio, has been gaining from its continued product development. The optimism, led by strong first-quarter results, is expected to contribute further. However, concerns about funding headwinds persist.

In the year-to-date period, this Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) company’s shares have lost 11.2% compared with the 12.4% decline of the industry. The S&P 500 Composite has improved 9.4% in the said time frame.

The renowned global provider of sequencing systems has a market capitalization of $521.8 million. The company projects 22.6% growth for 2026 and expects to maintain its strong performance in the future. PacBio’s earnings surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate in all the trailing four quarters, delivering an average surprise of 29.8%.

Factors Favoring PACB’s GrowthSequencing Technologies Strengthen Market Leadership: PacBio differentiates itself in the genomics industry through its proprietary HiFi long-read sequencing, based on Single-Molecule Real-Time (SMRT) technology. This technology enables the high-accuracy, real-time detection of complex genomic structures, such as structural variations, haplotypes and epigenetic modifications.

Per a report by Data Bridge Market Research, the global SMRT market size was valued at $2.88 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach $4.36 billion by 2032, at a CAGR of 5.3%. Additionally, PacBio has expanded its offerings by integrating Sequencing by Binding chemistry with the launch of its Onso system in 2022, a short-read platform delivering ≥90% of bases at Q40+ accuracy, 15 times more precise than traditional sequencing methods. By providing both long-read and short-read technologies, PacBio uniquely serves diverse research and clinical applications while driving down costs and enhancing variant detection.

Robust Product Portfolio Driving Growth: PacBio continues to strengthen its competitive position through innovation in its HiFi sequencing platform. The company's SPRQ-Nx chemistry is gaining traction, delivering higher sequencing yields and enabling human whole-genome sequencing costs below $300 at scale through reusable SMRT Cells. Management plans to extend the technology to the Vega platform later this year, enhancing throughput and workflow efficiency.

PacBio is also advancing its next-generation ultra-high-throughput sequencing platform to target large-scale clinical and population genomics opportunities. Additionally, its collaboration with Basecamp Research to sequence roughly 100,000 metagenomic samples highlights the expanding role of HiFi sequencing in AI-driven biological research and underscores the technology's growing adoption across emerging applications.

Strong Q1 Results: PacBio exited the first quarter of 2026 with mixed results, wherein earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate while revenues missed the same. Stable top-line performance, despite softer instrument sales, reflected continued strength in consumables demand and improving utilization trends across the installed base.

Growth in consumables revenues, expansion across the EMEA region and disciplined expense management were encouraging. The company also reported a significantly narrower operating loss year over year, supported by lower operating expenses and continued restructuring benefits.

A Factor That May Offset PACB’s GainsFunding Headwinds Continue to Weigh on Instrument Demand: PacBio continues to face funding-related headwinds that are weighing on instrument demand, particularly across academic and government research markets. Uncertainty around grant funding and cautious capital spending have pressured purchases of both Revio and Vega systems, with Vega being more exposed to academic budget constraints.

While the company is seeing growing interest from clinical and commercial customers, management does not anticipate a meaningful recovery in research funding through 2026 and recently lowered the high end of its annual revenue outlook due in part to weaker instrument demand. Although the upcoming commercial launch of SPRQ-Nx chemistry could improve the attractiveness of PacBio’s sequencing platforms by lowering costs and boosting throughput, near-term instrument growth is expected to remain dependent on expanding clinical adoption rather than a broad recovery in research spending.

Estimate TrendPacBio has been witnessing a stable estimate revision trend for 2026. Over the past 30 days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for its adjusted loss per share has remained stable at 41 cents.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 revenues is pegged at $165.8 million, indicating a 3.6% increase from the year-ago reported numbers.

Reddit (RDDT - Free Report) is benefiting from its accelerated focus on AI safety and user trust, which has become a cornerstone of its growth strategy in 2026. Which Small Cap ETF Is the Better Buy in 2026? iShares and JPMorgan Have Compelling Offerings
SMTC Semtech
FMP Stock News
Original source text
The choice between JPMorgan BetaBuilders U.S. Small Cap Equity ETF (BBSC 0.28%) and iShares Morningstar Small-Cap ETF (ISCB 0.46%) involves weighing a more concentrated, momentum-led portfolio against a highly diversified, ultra-low-cost fund.

Small-cap companies often drive long-term growth, though they frequently exhibit greater volatility than their large-cap counterparts. Investors choosing between these two funds are evaluating different ways to access this segment, focusing on either high-breadth indexing or a more targeted selection of small-cap firms.

The 1-yr return represents total return over the trailing 12 months. Dividend yield is the trailing-12-month distribution yield as of the July 2 market closing price.

The iShares Morningstar Small-Cap ETF is the more affordable choice with a 0.04% expense ratio, which is 0.05 percentage points lower than its competitor. It also provides a slightly higher payout for income-seeking investors.

Performance & risk comparisonMetricISCBBBSCMax drawdown (5 yr)(29.90%)(31.00%)Growth of $1,000 over 5 years (total return)$1,379.00$1,440.00What's insideJPMorgan BetaBuilders U.S. Small Cap Equity ETF focuses its portfolio on Technology (18.9%), Healthcare (16.8%), and Financial Services (15.7%). Its largest positions include cash through a JP Morgan U.S. government money market fund (1%),  Semtech (SMTC 8.94%) at 0.6%, and FormFactor Inc (FORM 11.81%) (0.5%). The fund currently holds 728 positions and was launched in 2020. JPMorgan BetaBuilders U.S. Small Cap Equity ETF has paid $0.90 per share over the trailing 12 months, which, on its recent ~$91 share price, works out to a 1% yield.

The iShares Morningstar Small-Cap ETF tracks a benchmark of 1,557 stocks, offering broader diversification across Industrials (18.2%), Financial Services (15.9%), and Technology (15.6%). Its top holdings include Sterling Infrastructure (STRL 7.32%) at 0.4%, Okta (OKTA +0.76%) at 0.36%, Guardant Health (GH 2.77%) at 0.3%. This fund was launched in 2004. iShares Morningstar Small-Cap ETF has paid $0.95 per share over the trailing 12 months, which, on its recent ~$75 share price, works out to a 1.30% yield.

The iShares Morningstar Small-Cap ETF is the more established of these two small-cap funds, having returned an annualized 8.35% since its inception in 2004. Its performance has been good in short-term frames as well, delivering returns of 16.8% and 6.8% over the 3-year and 5-year look-backs. Its fundamental difference from the JPMorgan small-cap offering is that this ETF tracks a slightly broader Morningstar index, providing greater exposure to a broader range of small caps.

By comparison, the JPMorgan BetaBuilders U.S. Small Cap Equity ETF tracks a narrower version of the Morningstar index, which excludes several microcaps and stocks not considered easily investible due to liquidity constraints. Interestingly, BBSC is more concentrated in small caps, with 97% of its portfolio in small caps and 3% in mid-caps, compared to 9% in mid-caps for the iShares edition.

Still, overall, both give excellent exposure to small-cap U.S. stocks. The main difference, then, is performance. Here, the JPMorgan ETF wins out. It’s up about 24% year-to-date compared to 16.8% for ISCB, and beats the iShares ETF by 2.4 percentage points over the past three years and 1.07 percentage points over the past five years. BBSC has a higher expense ratio, but at 0.09%, it’s close to the low end for ETFs. The JPMorgan BetaBuilders U.S. Small Cap Equity ETF wins out.

Price Prediction: CoreWeave Stock Eyes 100% Upside as Data Center Demand Surges

CoreWeave (NASDAQ:CRWV) has been one of the most punished AI infrastructure names of the summer, and I think that has created an opportunity. The stock closed at $81.75 on July 2, 2026, down 31.46% over the past month and 46.14% over the past year.

Our 24/7 Wall St. price target for CoreWeave is $167.48, implying 104.88% upside, and I rate the stock a buy with medium (roughly 50%) confidence.

24/7 Wall St. Price Target Summary Metric Value Current Price $81.75 24/7 Wall St. Price Target $167.48 Upside 104.88% Recommendation BUY Confidence Level 50% How CoreWeave Got Cut in Half The collapse from $151.77 one year ago to today has been driven by three overlapping narratives. A securities fraud class action alleges CoreWeave concealed data center construction delays and understated reliance on a single third-party data center supplier.

Debt has surged from $2 billion in 2023 to $35 billion, and insiders have been unloading, including CEO Michael Intrator, who sold roughly $37.7 million in shares on June 30, 2026. That backdrop overshadowed a strong Q1 2026: revenue of $2.08 billion, up 111.7% year over year, with a revenue backlog that reached nearly $100 billion after Meta added a $21 billion commitment.

Why Bulls See a Breakout Ahead The bull case rests on scarcity. CoreWeave has surpassed 1 GW of active power, has contracted more than 3.5 GW, and is targeting 8 GW by 2030. Backlog visibility has gone from $30.1 billion in Q2 2025 to $99.4 billion in Q1 2026. NVIDIA closed a $2 billion Class A stock investment and named CoreWeave its Exemplar Cloud for inference on GB200 NVL72.

Cantor Fitzgerald carries a Buy rating with a $167 target, and Jim Cramer suggested the real backlog may be materially larger than reported. In our upside scenario, CoreWeave reaches $175.62 over 12 months.

What Could Go Wrong The bear case is real. Q1 2026 free cash flow was -$4.71 billion, capex hit $7.70 billion in a single quarter, and interest expense doubled to $536 million. Total liabilities reached $50.81 billion against $4.76 billion in shareholders’ equity.

SoFi Active Invest is offering a limited-time promotion. Open an account, fund it with $50 or more, and you could receive up to $1,000 in complimentary stock for Active Invest accounts. See for yourself by clicking here now.

It should be noted that bulls would argue the capex spike reflects fulfilling the Meta and OpenAI commitments, and operating cash flow of $2.98 billion plus a $8.5 billion non-recourse investment-grade term loan gives management runway. Still, coordinated insider selling and the securities lawsuit weigh on sentiment. Our bear scenario lands at $134.46 over 12 months.

The Setup: Backlog Quality vs. Balance Sheet Strain I’m at buy with a 24/7 Wall St. price target of $167.48 and 50% confidence. The factor that tips the scale is backlog quality: $99.4 billion in backlog from customers like Meta, OpenAI, and Anthropic represents committed, contracted demand.

The thesis strengthens if margin expansion accelerates and the securities suit gets contained. The thesis weakens if Q2 2026 shows another double-digit EPS miss or if free cash flow deterioration worsens beyond the current trajectory.

Looking further ahead, here is where our model projects CoreWeave could trade, assuming current growth trajectories and market conditions hold.

Year 24/7 Wall St. Price Target 2026 $110.45 2027 $167.48 2028 $228.59 2029 $312.01 2030 $425.86 These projections assume CoreWeave continues converting its backlog into revenue and progressing toward 8 GW of contracted power. Significant upside or downside could result from AI capex reversal, litigation outcomes, or NVIDIA supply dynamics.

Figma Isn't Losing To AI, It's Winning Because of It: Analyst
FIG Figma
FMP Stock News
Original source text
The brokerage said Figma’s stock has fallen about 85% from its 52-week high as investors worried that generative AI would reduce the need for design software.

However, Bank of America believes AI is expanding demand for collaborative product development and creating new monetization opportunities through Figma’s hybrid seat-based and usage-based pricing model.

The firm values Figma at 8 times estimated 2027 enterprise value-to-sales, above the peer average of about 5.9 times, citing the company’s stronger growth outlook and growing role in AI-powered software development.

AI Seen Driving AdoptionBank of America said AI is increasing the number of people creating digital products while also making workflows more complex. That, in turn, should increase demand for a centralized platform where designers, developers and product teams can collaborate.

The analysts pointed to early evidence that AI is already contributing to revenue growth. During the first quarter of 2026, 75% of enterprise customers that exceeded their AI credit limits purchased additional credits, while more than 95% remained active on the platform. Enterprise customers generating more than $100,000 in annual recurring revenue increased 48% year over year, while net dollar retention reached 139%.

Growth OutlookBank of America projects revenue growth of 35.6% in 2026 and 23% in 2027, compared with peer averages of 19.3% and 15.7%, respectively. The brokerage expects AI investments to pressure margins in the near term but forecasts operating margin expansion from 9.2% in 2026 to 13.8% by 2028, alongside improving free cash flow margins.

The analysts also highlighted continued enterprise adoption as a key growth driver. They estimate the number of customers generating more than $100,000 in annual recurring revenue will grow 26.2% in 2026 before moderating to more than 22% annually through 2028.

Risks RemainDespite its bullish stance, Bank of America said risks include slower-than-expected AI adoption, increasing competition from AI-native design tools and weaker monetization of AI features. Even so, the firm believes those concerns are already reflected in Figma’s valuation and views the company as an AI beneficiary rather than an AI casualty.

FIG Stock Price Activity: Figma shares were up 9.49% at $23.08 at the time of publication on Tuesday, according to Benzinga Pro data.

Figma acquires team behind a vibe coding app
FIG Figma
FMP Stock News
Original source text
In Brief

Posted:

11:37 AM PDT · July 7, 2026

Image Credits:Figma Figma is trying to become more than a design platform by adding more AI and bringing the coding and prototyping layer closer to its canvas. Toward that end, it has acquired the team behind the vibe-coding and AI agent platform Bud (formerly Orchids).

“Figma is one of, if not the, defining product companies of our time to capitalize on this. It’s where ideas start, iterate, and come to life, and a natural home for this exciting new era of work,” Bud’s CEO Kevin Lu posted on X.

The Y Combinator-backed startup began as a vibe-coding platform letting users spin up apps for mobile, web, Slack, browser, and more. It later rebranded as Bud, an agent platform that can access various services, browse the web, and write code to automate tasks.

Under the deal, the startup will shut down both Bud and Orchids by July 18, requiring users to migrate their projects by then.

Earlier this year, citing a security researcher, the BBC reported that apps created on Orchids were susceptible to cyberattacks.

Figma didn’t specify how it aims to use this team, but recent product launches hint that the public company wants to give teams more tools for building and prototyping apps, not just ideating over static concepts. Last year, it released Figma Make for creating web apps. This year, it integrated with tools like Codex and Claude Code, and rolled out its own agents.

Klarna wants to become a bank. Here's what that could mean for millions of customers
KLAR Klarna Group
FMP Stock News
Original source text
The “buy now, pay later” fintech giant Klarna wants to become a real bank.

The Swedish company just announced its plans to establish a U.S.-based subsidiary known as Klarna Bank USA. If approved, the FDIC-backed bank would set up shop out of Utah.

“Banking is built on trust,” Klarna CEO and cofounder Sebastian Siemiatkowski said in the announcement. “We’ve seen firsthand the appetite for a fairer, more transparent approach in the U.S., and our own banking license is the natural next step.”

With a proper bank, Klarna says it can give users tools to “borrow responsibly” and build their financial confidence while injecting more competition and innovation into the banking sector. The company named Gary Harding, former CEO of Milestone Bank and Prime Alliance Bank, as its future chief executive.

Klarna has more than 119 million global active users and over 3 million transactions per day, according to its most recent estimates. Its major retail partners include H&M, Saks Fifth Avenue, Sephora, Macy’s, Ikea, Expedia Group, Nike, Uber, and Airbnb. In Europe, the fintech firm already operates as a fully licensed bank with broader lending and banking options than its current product in the U.S. Since Klarna’s IPO in September 2025, its shares have lost more than half of their value.

Klarna eyes the futureKlarna has been all in on AI, shrinking its workforce and leaning more on automated systems rather than human employees. In February, Klarna said it employed around 3,000 workers—down from 7,000 four years prior—and planned to reduce that number by another third in the coming years through natural attrition rather than rounds of layoffs.

The company is just the latest fintech upstart looking to get into the traditional banking game. As the Trump administration relaxes historically strict regulations governing the banking industry, upstarts from the crypto and tech world have flooded in, seeking the many perks of a bank charter. The startup-focused fintech Mercury is in the process, as are dozens of other nontraditional companies that have recently applied to become banks. That list includes Klarna’s pay-later competitor Affirm, crypto firm Ripple, and Paypal—and even automakers like Ford, GM, and Stellantis.

With a market capitalization of $14.97 billion and significant year-over-year appreciation, IREN has positioned itself as a material player in the cryptocurrency mining sector with geographic diversification across Australia and Canada.

What investors should knowTTRF’s purchase of the neocloud company Iren is notable for its lack of diversification. Although Iren makes up only 2% of its portfolio, the company has already invested nearly 59% of its total stock assets in Iren’s neocloud competitor, Nebius.

In a sense, this is a vote of confidence in the neocloud industry, as these companies have reported massive revenue growth in recent quarters amid strong demand for AI-ready cloud infrastructure.

However, with most investors prioritizing diversification, purchasing one of Nebius’s competitors may seem counterintuitive. Indeed, the fund holds only 13 stocks, and, like Iren, they are all tech stocks with higher revenue growth rates, showing the fund’s considerable appetite for risk.

Moreover, Iren continues to report considerable operating losses, which further adds to its risks. If the market experiences a considerable growth slowdown in AI, this fund will take a huge hit because of its Nebius position, and the new Iren holding will add to the pain.

Admittedly, buying Iren could pay off for the investors who follow TTRF into the stock. Nonetheless, most investors should not consider such a move if they have already invested heavily in the neocloud industry.

Banks seek work-around on debit card fee limits
FI Fiserv
FMP Stock News
Original source text
For years, big banks have railed against legal regulations that cap how much they can charge for debit-card fees – and now some industry leaders are reportedly eyeing a potential deal that could help them skirt around those limits.

In recent months, JPMorgan, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and PNC Financial Services Group have held tentative talks about a deal to acquire a network owned by fintech company Fiserv, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Under the 2010 Dodd-Frank law, known as the Durbin amendment, banks face caps on how much they can collect from merchants on debit-card transactions routed through an external network – but they are exempt from the rule if they also own the network.

Banks have railed against the 2010 Dodd-Frank law, which placed a cap on debit-card fees. Phushutter – stock.adobe.com There is no guarantee a deal will happen, and some of the banks that looked at the Fiserv network have already decided they are unlikely to move forward – while others are concerned about political backlash from regulators and merchants, sources told the Journal.

But the talks are a sign of how keen big banks are to hike transaction fees, especially after Capital One Financial completed its $50.6 billion acquisition of Discover Financial last year – securing its own network and allowing it to negotiate directly with merchants.

Wells Fargo, PNC and Fiserv declined to comment. JPMorgan and Bank of America did not immediately respond to The Post’s requests for comment.

Each time a customer swipes their debit or credit card at a register, the business needs to pay a small percentage of the total check to that customer’s bank in what is known as an interchange, or “swipe,” fee.

The Durbin amendment, which was signed into law by former President Barack Obama, gave the Federal Reserve the power to set limits on these fees for banks with $10 billion or more in assets – and Wall Street has been lambasting the cap ever since.

JPMorgan, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and PNC were reportedly involved in talks, according to the Wall Street Journal. Christopher Sadowski for NY Post Last year, US banks collected nearly $66 billion in credit- and debit-card interchange fees, accounting for roughly 11% of their noninterest income, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.

But banks have argued that caps have unfairly limited the amount of interchange-fee revenue they can collect, restricting their ability to cover costs for free checking accounts and debit-card rewards programs, which have grown rare since the legislation was passed.

Merchants, however, have argued the law helps keep prices down, and that savings from lower interchange fees are ultimately passed along to the consumer.

Businesses typically pay an average of 34 cents, or 0.73% of the transaction total, in interchange fees, according to the Federal Reserve.

They also have to pay several other fees associated with debit- and credit-card transactions, including assessment charges to card companies and processing fees.

Urogen Pharma (URGN) is a Great Momentum Stock: Should You Buy?
URGN UroGen Pharma
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Momentum investing revolves around the idea of following a stock's recent trend in either direction. In "long context," investors will be essentially be "buying high, but hoping to sell even higher." With this methodology, taking advantage of trends in a stock's price is key; once a stock establishes a course, it is more than likely to continue moving that way. The goal is that once a stock heads down a fixed path, it will lead to timely and profitable trades.

While many investors like to look for momentum in stocks, this can be very tough to define. There is a lot of debate surrounding which metrics are the best to focus on and which are poor quality indicators of future performance. The Zacks Momentum Style Score, part of the Zacks Style Scores, helps address this issue for us.

Below, we take a look at Urogen Pharma (URGN - Free Report) , which currently has a Momentum Style Score of A. We also discuss some of the main drivers of the Momentum Style Score, like price change and earnings estimate revisions.

It's also important to note that Style Scores work as a complement to the Zacks Rank, our stock rating system that has an impressive track record of outperformance. Urogen Pharma currently has a Zacks Rank of #2 (Buy). Our research shows that stocks rated Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) and #2 (Buy) and Style Scores of "A or B" outperform the market over the following one-month period.

You can see the current list of Zacks #1 Rank Stocks here >>>

Set to Beat the Market?Let's discuss some of the components of the Momentum Style Score for URGN that show why this company shows promise as a solid momentum pick.

Looking at a stock's short-term price activity is a great way to gauge if it has momentum, since this can reflect both the current interest in a stock and if buyers or sellers have the upper hand at the moment. It's also helpful to compare a security to its industry; this can show investors the best companies in a particular area.

For URGN, shares are up 10.08% over the past week while the Zacks Medical - Biomedical and Genetics industry is up 2.27% over the same time period. Shares are looking quite well from a longer time frame too, as the monthly price change of 37.28% compares favorably with the industry's 10.3% performance as well.

While any stock can see a spike in price, it takes a real winner to consistently outperform the market. Shares of Urogen Pharma have increased 84.47% over the past quarter, and have gained 177.32% in the last year. In comparison, the S&P 500 has only moved 14.34% and 21.46%, respectively.

Investors should also pay attention to URGN's average 20-day trading volume. Volume is a useful item in many ways, and the 20-day average establishes a good price-to-volume baseline; a rising stock with above average volume is generally a bullish sign, whereas a declining stock on above average volume is typically bearish. URGN is currently averaging 643,028 shares for the last 20 days.

Earnings OutlookThe Zacks Momentum Style Score encompasses many things, including estimate revisions and a stock's price movement. Investors should note that earnings estimates are also significant to the Zacks Rank, and a nice path here can be promising. We have recently been noticing this with URGN.

Over the past two months, 2 earnings estimates moved higher compared to none lower for the full year. These revisions helped boost URGN's consensus estimate, increasing from -$1.13 to -$0.88 in the past 60 days. Looking at the next fiscal year, 2 estimates have moved upwards while there have been no downward revisions in the same time period.

Bottom LineGiven these factors, it shouldn't be surprising that URGN is a #2 (Buy) stock and boasts a Momentum Score of A. If you're looking for a fresh pick that's set to soar in the near-term, make sure to keep Urogen Pharma on your short list.

TeraWulf Drops 8% Even as Analysts Raise Price Targets on $19B Anthropic Deal, IREN Falls 7%, Applied Digital Slides 6%
WULF TeraWulf
FMP Stock News
Original source text
© FellowNeko / Shutterstock.com

Shares of TeraWulf (NASDAQ:WULF) are down 8% to $20.41 in Tuesday’s midday session, reversing yesterday’s rally on the Anthropic mega-deal. The drop lands in a broad AI-infrastructure pullback, with the NASDAQ 100 down 1.5% intraday.

The move gives back most of the July 6 pop but leaves TeraWulf stock still up 78% year to date (YTD). Peer names are trading in sympathy: IREN (NASDAQ:IREN) is down 7% to $40.97, Applied Digital (NASDAQ:APLD) is off 6% to $31.56, and Cipher Mining (NASDAQ:CIFR) is down 4% to $20.85.

Analyst Target Hikes Meet Sell-the-News The irony of today’s action is that multiple Wall Street desks raised targets on TeraWulf even as the stock fell. Rosenblatt lifted its target to $30 from $27 (Buy), Needham moved to $33 from $28 (Buy), KBW held Outperform at $33, and Bernstein reiterated Outperform at $36. The consensus analyst target price sits at $36.

The catalyst was TeraWulf’s 20-year, $19 billion Anthropic data-center lease covering 401 megawatts net at the Justified Data campus in Hawesville, Kentucky, with two five-year renewal options and phased delivery starting in the second half of 2027, reaching full capacity by early 2028. The deal pushes TeraWulf’s total AI orderbook to $27 billion across three clients (Anthropic, Core42, and Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL | GOOGL Price Prediction)-backed Fluidstack).

So, why the selloff? KBW flagged that the investment-grade credit support for the lease isn’t yet finalized (it hinges on Anthropic’s choice of hardware vendor, expected within about four months), alongside the Abernathy stake sale and a perceived lack of near-term catalysts. TeraWulf also agreed to sell its 50.1% stake in the Abernathy joint venture to a Fluidstack-led group for $530 million in staged installments. Those overhangs, combined with a risk-off tape, gave traders reason to fade the rally.

AI-Miner Selloff Driven by Equity Risk-Off Today’s pain is an equity risk-off move. Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) is essentially flat over the past 24 hours, up less than 1% to $63,845. The pressure is equity-driven, hitting the same AI-tech complex that dragged on chips, memory, and space names.

Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Iren didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.

IREN, Applied Digital, and Cipher Mining are all Bitcoin miners pivoting into AI infrastructure, and each has its own hyperscaler contract book. IREN carries an $81 analyst target price, while Applied Digital shares still sit up 29% YTD and Cipher Mining shares are up 42% YTD. These are volatile, largely pre-profit names, and one session doesn’t rewrite the long-term thesis around hyperscaler capex and power-constrained compute.

For investors weighing the group, the bull case rests on the analyst target hikes, TeraWulf’s $19 billion Anthropic lease, and the broader validation of the miner-to-AI pivot. The bear case is the unfinalized credit support, execution risk into 2028, and betas well above the market. Modest position sizing fits the volatility profile here.

What to Watch Traders can watch for whether WULF stock holds above $20 into the close, and whether IREN, APLD, and CIFR follow. The next concrete catalyst may be Anthropic’s hardware-vendor decision, which could unlock the investment-grade credit wrap on the lease.

Beyond the WULF-specific setup, the price action in IREN, APLD, and CIFR will tell investors whether today is a coordinated group pullback or a name-specific reaction to TeraWulf’s contract terms. Watch relative volume in the peers and any follow-on analyst notes on IREN, Applied Digital, and/or Cipher Mining.

Longer term, the miner-to-AI pivot thesis hinges on whether these operators can convert contracted megawatts into investment-grade cash flows. With hyperscaler capex running near $700 billion annually and power the binding constraint, the group retains structural tailwinds. Still, sessions like today are a reminder that execution risk and financing overhangs still matter alongside the headline contract wins.

Will Seagate (STX) Beat Estimates Again in Its Next Earnings Report?
STX.US Seagate Technology Holdings
FMP Stock News
Original source text
If you are looking for a stock that has a solid history of beating earnings estimates and is in a good position to maintain the trend in its next quarterly report, you should consider Seagate (STX - Free Report) . This company, which is in the Zacks Computer - Integrated Systems industry, shows potential for another earnings beat.

This electronic storage maker has seen a nice streak of beating earnings estimates, especially when looking at the previous two reports. The average surprise for the last two quarters was 13.52%.

For the last reported quarter, Seagate came out with earnings of $4.1 per share versus the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $3.5 per share, representing a surprise of 17.14%. For the previous quarter, the company was expected to post earnings of $2.83 per share and it actually produced earnings of $3.11 per share, delivering a surprise of 9.89%.

Price and EPS Surprise

With this earnings history in mind, recent estimates have been moving higher for Seagate. In fact, the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) for the company is positive, which is a great sign of an earnings beat, especially when you combine this metric with its nice Zacks Rank.

Our research shows that stocks with the combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) or better produce a positive surprise nearly 70% of the time. In other words, if you have 10 stocks with this combination, the number of stocks that beat the consensus estimate could be as high as seven.

The Zacks Earnings ESP compares the Most Accurate Estimate to the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the quarter; the Most Accurate Estimate is a version of the Zacks Consensus whose definition is related to change. The idea here is that analysts revising their estimates right before an earnings release have the latest information, which could potentially be more accurate than what they and others contributing to the consensus had predicted earlier.

Seagate currently has an Earnings ESP of +1.75%, which suggests that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This positive Earnings ESP when combined with the stock's Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) indicates that another beat is possibly around the corner.

With the Earnings ESP metric, it's important to note that a negative value reduces its predictive power; however, a negative Earnings ESP does not indicate an earnings miss.

Many companies end up beating the consensus EPS estimate, but that may not be the sole basis for their stocks moving higher. On the other hand, some stocks may hold their ground even if they end up missing the consensus estimate.

Because of this, it's really important to check a company's Earnings ESP ahead of its quarterly release to increase the odds of success. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.

SailPoint Stock Outlook Hinges on AI Identity and SaaS Growth
SAIL SailPoint
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways SailPoint's growth is increasingly SaaS-led as total ARR rose 26% to $1.163B in the fiscal first quarter.Non-human identities drove 40% of identity growth, while AI capabilities reached about 10% of customers.SailPoint still has about $350M of on-premise ARR to migrate, with only 10% expected in fiscal 2027. SailPoint (SAIL - Free Report) is trying to broaden its role in enterprise security as identity expands beyond employees to machines, contractors and AI agents. That shift gives SailPoint a larger opportunity, but it also makes execution more complicated. SaaS adoption, AI-related demand and on-premise migrations are all moving together, creating a growth story with timing risk.

SailPoint’s platform is built around identity governance, with Identity Security Cloud and IdentityIQ serving as its core offerings. The company helps enterprises manage lifecycle events, certify access, enforce least-privilege controls and analyze risk across complex systems.

The strategic role is getting broader. SailPoint now frames identity as a control plane for human and non-human identities, including machine identities and AI agents. That matters for large enterprises and government accounts that need auditable access controls across cloud, legacy and custom applications.

SAIL Growth is Being Led by SaaS ARRSailPoint’s growth engine is increasingly SaaS-driven. Total annual recurring revenue reached $1.163 billion in the first quarter of fiscal 2027, up 26% year over year, while SaaS annual recurring revenue rose 36% to $781 million.

SaaS represented 92% of net new annual recurring revenue in the quarter, compared with 69% a year earlier. Dollar-based net retention held at 113%, showing that existing customers continue to expand usage and add capabilities.

For second-quarter fiscal 2027, SailPoint expects revenues between $308 million and $312 million, indicating year-over-year growth of 17-18%. Adjusted earnings are expected to be between 7 cents and 8 cents per share for the second quarter of fiscal 2027.

SailPoint AI Push is Becoming More TangibleAI is no longer just a product narrative for SailPoint. Non-human identities accounted for 40% of identity growth in the first quarter of fiscal 2027 and represented 14% of all identities managed in the company’s cloud offering. Management said about 10% of customers had adopted AI capabilities. Agentic Fabric and related launches are aimed at discovering AI agents, mapping ownership, enforcing authorization, securing prompts and monitoring behavior. Okta (OKTA - Free Report) , Cisco Systems (CSCO - Free Report) and Microsoft (MSFT - Free Report) are other identity-focused companies investors may watch in this context.

Microsoft is SailPoint’s most significant competitor through its Microsoft Entra portfolio, which includes Entra ID, Identity Governance, Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and Conditional Access. Microsoft’s biggest advantage is its massive installed base of Microsoft 365 and Azure customers, allowing it to bundle identity governance with productivity, cloud and security offerings at attractive pricing.

Meanwhile, following the acquisition of Splunk and continued investment in cybersecurity, Cisco has strengthened its identity-focused security capabilities through Cisco Duo and its broader Zero Trust platform. Duo provides multi-factor authentication, device trust, adaptive access and identity verification, while Cisco integrates identity signals with networking and security operations.

Okta’s outlook is supported by steady demand for identity security, an expanding installed base, and rising attach of newer products such as Identity Governance, Privileged Access, and posture and threat capabilities. Management’s agent-focused roadmap and broad partner ecosystem keep Okta relevant as enterprises secure non-human identities and deploy AI workflows across multiple platforms.

SailPoint shares have dropped 18% year to date, outperforming Microsoft’s fall of 18.7%, while Okta and Cisco shares have returned 74.1% and 46.7%, respectively.

SAIL Stock’s Price Performance

SAIL Migration Opportunity Still Has FrictionThe migration opportunity remains a major swing factor. SailPoint still has about $350 million of on-premise annual recurring revenue available for migration, and management has pointed to a typical 2-3 times uplift when customers move to SaaS and add capabilities.

The challenge is timing. These migrations can be complex, especially for large enterprises with legacy infrastructure and regulatory requirements. SailPoint expects only about 10% of its on-premise base to migrate in fiscal 2027, leaving a long runway but also making execution discipline important.

SailPoint Margins and Cash Flow Add SupportGrowth is not coming at the expense of operating discipline. Adjusted operating margin improved to 13.5% in the first quarter of fiscal 2027 from 10.2% a year earlier.

Cash generation also improved the setup. SailPoint delivered $38 million in operating cash flow and $33 million in free cash flow during the quarter. Management also raised fiscal 2027 targets for annual recurring revenue, revenues and adjusted operating margin.

ConclusionThe bottom line is that SailPoint has a credible growth story tied to SaaS adoption, AI identity governance and enterprise migrations. Still, the pace of on-premise conversions and the revenue-recognition effects of the SaaS shift keep the near-term setup balanced.

SAIL currently carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

SpaceX's 91% Growth Forecast Isn't Just a Rocket Story, JPMorgan Says
SPCX SpaceX
FMP Stock News
Original source text
The real headline may be the bank’s expectation that the company can grow revenue at a staggering 91% annual rate through 2030—a forecast that, according to JPMorgan, has surprisingly little to do with selling more rocket launches.

Instead, analyst Doug Anmuth argues launches are simply the foundation for a much bigger business.

The AI Story Hidden Behind the RocketsFor years, investors have viewed SpaceX primarily as a launch company powered by Falcon rockets and Starlink satellites.

JPMorgan believes that narrative is already becoming outdated.

Anmuth says “launch is SpaceX’s core competitive advantage that enables every other part of the business,” with rapid Starship reusability laying the groundwork for an AI infrastructure platform rather than simply a larger launch business.

By 2031, JPMorgan expects Starship launches to ramp from only a handful this year to roughly 5,000 annually, enabling SpaceX to deploy 75 gigawatts of orbital compute as it pursues an addressable market exceeding $28 trillion.

From Connectivity to AIThat shift fundamentally changes SpaceX’s financial profile.

JPMorgan projects revenue climbing from $19 billion in 2025 to $470 billion by 2030, while operating margins improve from negative 14% to roughly 50% over the same period. The driver isn’t simply more launch activity, but what the report describes as a business mix shifting from “Connectivity to AI, first terrestrial, and then orbital.”

Anmuth argues that transition justifies valuing SpaceX more like a next-generation AI infrastructure company than a traditional aerospace business.

Why Launch Still MattersIronically, the bullish AI thesis begins with rockets.

SpaceX has completed roughly 670 orbital launches with a 99%+ mission success rate and has launched more than 80% of all mass sent to orbit since 2023, according to JPMorgan. Those capabilities—and Starship’s rapid reusability—give the company a structural advantage that competitors cannot easily replicate.

That launch leadership, combined with what Anmuth calls SpaceX’s “extreme vertical integration,” enables the company to build not only rockets but also satellites, AI infrastructure and, eventually, orbital data centers faster and more cheaply than rivals.

For investors, that may be the biggest takeaway from JPMorgan’s initiation.

The firm’s $225 price target implies meaningful upside. But the more important bet is that SpaceX’s next decade won’t be defined by how many rockets it launches—it will be defined by what those rockets make possible.

Why Did SpaceX Stock Drop Today?
SPCX SpaceX
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Space Exploration Technologies (SPCX 5.65%) was added to the Nasdaq-100 index before the market opened today, so investors might be surprised to see SpaceX shares fall. When a company's stock is added to an index, it can rise due to passive buying by mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that are required to hold the entire index.

So why were SpaceX shares down by 5.2% at 12:45 p.m. ET today?

It's the math The Nasdaq-100 tracks the 100 largest non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market exchange. But even the funds and ETFs that buy SpaceX stock once it's on the exchange aren't really buying a large quantity of the company. Consider this:

SpaceX raised about $86 billion from its public share offering. But the company was valued at $1.8 trillion at the IPO price. That's less than 5% of the company available to the public. Elon Musk owns much of the balance, maintaining about 46% ownership. Other early investors, institutions, and employees own the rest.

The company is using a phased lockup schedule to allow those early investors to sell their shares. The first batch of shares will be available for sale after SpaceX reports its second-quarter results, either late this month or in August. Notably, Musk won't be able to sell his shares until June 2027, but there could still be downward pressure on SpaceX shares in the near future from other sellers.

The relatively small amount being bought due to index inclusion, combined with fears that the coming initial lockup expiration will drive the stock lower, has shareholders pressuring the stock today.

SpaceX Analyst Sees 64% Upside to Stock: ‘Vertical Integration at Civilization Scale'
SPCX SpaceX
FMP Stock News
Original source text
• SpaceX shares are sliding. What’s behind SPCX decline?

Here’s what analysts were saying.

The SpaceX AnalystsBofA Securities analyst Ronald Epstein initiated SpaceX stock with a Buy rating and a price target of $235.

RBC Capital analyst Ken Herbert initiated coverage with an Outperform rating and a price target of $225.

Needham analyst Ryan Koontz initiated coverage with a Buy rating and a price target of $200.

Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Colin Canfield initiated coverage with an Overweight rating and price target of $246, with SpaceX stock seeing a 64% upside from the current share price of $150.

• For more analyst ratings on SpaceX stock, check out Benzinga’s full coverage here.

Bank of America on SpaceXSpaceX is "paving the superhighway to the stars," Epstein said in an investor note about the space company.

"SpaceX has evolved from a launch company into the foundational enabler of the space economy and the leading provider of space-based applications as a result," Epstein said.

The analyst said SpaceX is able to convert launch and manufacturing into recurring businesses, such as Starlink.

Epstein noted part of SpaceX’s long-term opportunity hinges on Starlink’s commercialization and reusability.

"If achieved, we believe launch costs could decline by an order of magnitude while capacity expands dramatically. If delayed, the timing of many future growth vectors moves materially to the right."

RBC Capital on SpaceXSpaceX has a "proven track record of disruption and innovation," Herbert said in a new investor note on the space stock.

"We believe SpaceX will continue to benefit from its position at the center of two of the most profound investment themes of this generation: the evolution of the space-based economy and AI," Herbert said.

The analyst highlighted Starship as being a key for the company’s future along with Starlink momentum.

"We believe the opportunity of orbital data centers provides SPCX with the chance to deliver a structural and durable cost-of-compute advantage versus any terrestrial competitor."

Herbert said SpaceX is the best mega cap stock for exposure to space and AI.

"The convergence of space and AI represents a unique value-creation opportunity that we believe SPCX is well-positioned to capture."

Needham on SpaceXSpaceX is a leader with a multi-year lead for the space sector, Koontz said in the investor note.

The analyst highlighted the company’s Starlink segment, which had 10.3 million subscribers and $11.4 billion in revenue in 2025. Koontz saw more upside from the company’s Starship launch vehicle.

SpaceX’s vertical integration is an advantage that should help with future growth, the analyst added.

"The success in its Space segment is the foundation of the SpaceX competitive moat for its Starlink/Connectivity business as well as AI/Orbital Compute strategy," Koontz said.

The analyst expected SpaceX to target expanding compute capacity by 2x each year.

Cantor Fitzgerald on SpaceXValuing a company that owns the entire tech stack is hard, Canfield said in a new investor note.

"SpaceX is something the market has never seen: the world’s first planetary infrastructure company," Canfield said. "Where prior tech giants owned one layer of the stack — compute, connectivity or distribution — SpaceX owns them all."

Canfield said this is not diversification, but rather "vertical integration at civilizational scale."

"We think investor debate has been anchored to near-term valuation multiples, which misses the central point: a planetary infrastructure company does not compete within existing markets — it defines the cost structure of new ones."

SpaceX Stock Price ActionSpaceX stock is down 4.86% to $152.63 on Tuesday versus a trading range of $147.11 to $225.64 since going public. The stock remains up from the $135 IPO price with shares flat from where they started trading.

Analysts Go All-In on SpaceX as the Quiet Period Ends. Here's What a $10,000 Investment Could Be Worth in One Year, According to Wall Street
SPCX SpaceX
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Space Exploration Technologies (SPCX 5.65%), aka SpaceX, seized the spotlight well before its initial public offering (IPO) early last month. The rocket launch, satellite communications, and artificial intelligence (AI) company has captured the public imagination as the company awaits several key hurdles in the coming weeks and months.

The first of these hurdles happened on Tuesday, as SpaceX officially joined the Nasdaq-100. Perhaps as importantly, the mandatory quiet period ended for the 23 investment banks associated with the SpaceX IPO. This kicked off a surge of new analyst ratings and the associated commentary -- and to say the overall consensus was bullish might well be an understatement.

Let's review the prevailing attitude on Wall Street and what a $10,000 investment in SpaceX might be worth in one year.

The bulls outnumber the bearsSpaceX closed out the day at about $160 per share on Monday, but Wall Street expects the stock price to go much higher. According to TheFly.com, 19 analysts issued ratings and price targets on Tuesday morning (as of this writing), and the overall conclusion was extremely bullish. Nearly all of the 19 ratings came in at the equivalent of a buy or strong buy, and had a median price target of $250. For those keeping score at home, that represents potential upside of 56% compared to Monday's closing price.

That said, the price targets run the gamut, with the lowest at $131 and the highest at $800. The majority of the ratings -- or 14 of the 19 -- fall within a range of between $200 and $250, representing an average price target of $225, or potential upside of about 40%.

A bearish takeMoffettNathanson analyst Julie Zhu was the sole outlier on Tuesday, initiating coverage with a neutral (hold) rating and a price target of $131, which suggests potential downside for investors of 18%.

The analyst takes exception to CEO Elon Musk's plans to launch data centers capable of delivering 100 gigawatts (GW) of compute annually by the end of 2029. That total is "an amount that exceeds global in‑service data‑center capacity today and for which sufficient material inputs will not exist in three‑and‑a‑half years," according to the analyst. Zhu goes on to say that there's "simply no credible financial model that can support what is, at the time of this writing, a roughly $2 trillion valuation."

If the analyst is right, a $10,000 investment in SpaceX could be worth as little as $8,733 over the coming year.

A really bullish takeOn the other end of the spectrum is Raymond James analyst Brian Gesuale, who initiated coverage with a strong buy rating and a Street-high price target of $800. That suggests potential upside of 398% compared to Monday's closing price.

The analyst hailed the intersection of orbital access and AI as driving "the most significant infrastructure convergence since the advent of the Internet." He believes the completion of Starship -- the company's next-generation super heavy rocket -- will reduce the cost of space travel and delivering objects into orbit by 99%, while simultaneously increasing payload "by an order of magnitude.” The analyst estimates that SpaceX will grow its revenue 21-fold to $837 billion and its EBITDA by 39x to $696 billion by 2031.

If the analyst's bullish take is correct, a $10,000 investment in SpaceX could be worth nearly $40,000 this time next year.

What this means for investorsSo what will a $10,000 SpaceX investment be worth next year? The truth is that no one can say with any certainty. However, throwing out the outliers returns a consensus stock price of about $225, which I believe is likely closer to reality than the most bullish or bearish takes from Wall Street.

A look at the 30 biggest IPOs of the past 15 years suggests a wide range of possible outcomes by the end of the year, with gains of up to 217% or losses of up to 77%. This could turn a $10,000 investment into as much as $31,700, or as little as $2,300.

To be clear, SpaceX stock has already given investors a sneak peek at the volatility they can expect over the coming year, so the stock won't be for the faint of heart. Furthermore, at 46 times forward sales, SpaceX isn't cheap. For investors who are still compelled to own a stake in SpaceX, I would suggest it be a small part of a well-balanced portfolio.

SpaceX Stock and the Nasdaq-100: What History Tells Us About Potential Returns After July 7
SPCX SpaceX
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Even though it's only been public since June 12, Space Exploration Technologies (SPCX 5.65%), or SpaceX, has already traded in a wide range in less than a month, from a high of $225.64 to a low of $147.11.

With its inclusion in the Nasdaq-100, however, history shows that, on average, companies can expect their stock prices to move in a certain direction. This is what history suggests about whether the next move in SpaceX's stock price is higher or lower.

The short-term results of Nasdaq-100 inclusion When a stock is included in the Nasdaq-100, it creates buying activity, as investment vehicles like exchange-traded funds that track that index must own it. But history says that being added to the index is not an immediate, game-changing moment for the company.

According to Barron's, over the last two years, of the 21 companies added to the Nasdaq-100, only six had their stock prices climb in the first week they were added. The average loss for a stock a week after inclusion in the index has been 3.8%.

Looking out a bit further, the good news for shareholders is that the data looks more promising. Stocks averaged a gain of 3.6% one month after being in the Nasdaq-100 and climbed 6.3% after three months.

Today's Change

The bigger picture for SpaceX SpaceX shareholders will appreciate any type of stock price gain. But as history has shown, inclusion in the Nasdaq-100 won't be a meaningful needle mover right out of the gate.

Instead, it's important to focus on the long-term potential and risks of building out artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure in space. SpaceX is going after what it believes is a $26.5 trillion total addressable market (TAM) in AI. If it executes on capturing as much of that TAM as possible, that is what can lead to the gains current shareholders are hoping for.

SpaceX positioned as "foundational enabler" of space economy, BofA says
SPCX SpaceX
FMP Stock News
Original source text
SpaceX Corp (NASDAQ:SPCX) just picked up a bullish new voice on Wall Street as Bank of America initiated coverage with a Buy rating and a $235 price objective.

The bank’s analysts argue SpaceX has outgrown its roots as a rocket launcher to become the backbone of the entire space economy.

Analysts said SpaceX has evolved from a launch company into what they called the foundational enabler of the space economy, pointing to the company's reusable launch technology and proliferated space applications as key competitive advantages. BofA said these moats are laying the groundwork for Starship and future applications to drive another paradigm shift in space capabilities.

The bank highlighted SpaceX's ability to convert its launch and manufacturing capabilities into recurring, market-leading applications businesses, most notably Starlink. Analysts described this as a flywheel effect, where launch capacity enables space applications, those applications generate cash flow, and the resulting cash flows fund further infrastructure investment.

BofA said Falcon and Starship launch economics remain the primary drivers behind SpaceX's ability to build high-margin application layers in orbit, even though this dynamic is not directly reflected in the company's financials due to its accounting structure.

Central to BofA's thesis is whether Starship can reach the reliability, launch cadence and cost economics needed to unlock SpaceX's next phase of growth. The bank said much of the company's long-term opportunity, including Starlink v3 deployment and future compute infrastructure, hinges on Starship achieving full reusability.

If successful, BofA estimates launch costs could fall by an order of magnitude while capacity expands significantly. Delays in that timeline would push back many of SpaceX's future growth vectors.

Analysts also pointed to SpaceX's orbital compute ambitions as a source of differentiated upside, framing the initiative as representative of broader option value tied to the company's launch moat, vertical integration and manufacturing scale.

BofA said SpaceX's entry into AI infrastructure and applications markets gives it an opportunity to apply its space positioning to fast-growing, competitive sectors, with other emerging space applications offering additional long-term value contingent on Starship's success.

Stock Of The Day: Is This The Top For Apple?
AAPL Apple
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Many trading algorithms are based on statistics and probability theory.

The red line on the chart below is two standard deviations above the 20-day moving average.

Standard Deviations: A Statistical Concept.According to statistics and probability theory, 95% of trading should occur within two standard deviations of the mean. If a stock exceeds this threshold, as Apple currently does, it is considered to be overbought.

There will be traders and investors who are anticipating a reversion to the mean or move lower. They will enter the market as sellers, and their selling could result in putting downward pressure on the shares.

In addition to being overbought, Apple is trading at a resistance level. There tends to be resistance at former peaks or resistance levels, and that could be the case here.

There are people who bought shares around $315 in late May and early June who came to think their decisions to do so were a mistake after the price dropped. Many decided to hold onto their losing positions.

But they also decided to sell them at the same price they bought them for if they could ever do so. Now that the shares have returned to this price, these remorseful buyers are placing sell orders.

The large quantity of these orders has created resistance at the price. There is a good chance the rally ends or pauses here.

Many newer traders think that news moves the market. This is sometimes true, but most of the time, when a stock makes a meaningful move, it is the result of technical factors.

Overbought stocks that reach resistance tend to stall out or even reverse. The trend indicates that Apple shares may head lower.

Why I Can't Stop Buying Apple Before July 30th
AAPL Apple
FMP Stock News
Original source text
I keep hitting the buy button on Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL | AAPL Price Prediction), and the July 30 earnings report is not slowing me down. Every payday, I add a few more shares. The reasons are boring, repeatable, and they stack in my favor over years, which is the profile I want in a core holding heading into retirement. Here is what keeps pulling me back.

A cash machine that pays me to wait Apple generated $111.48 billion in operating cash flow in FY25 and returned $90.71 billion to shareholders through buybacks that same year. In April, the board authorized another $100 billion repurchase program and raised the quarterly dividend 4% to $0.27. Total capital returned since the program began now exceeds $1 trillion. The 0.34% yield looks small in isolation, but paired with ROE of 171.4% and ROIC of 53.3%, I am fine with management compounding capital inside the business instead of mailing it out.

The Services engine keeps widening the moat Q2 FY26 revenue reached $111.18 billion, up 16.6% year over year, with iPhone at $56.99 billion and Services at an all-time record $30.98 billion. Services gross margin ran at 76.7% on a base of over 2.5 billion active devices. That is a high-margin annuity riding on hardware customers already own. Tim Cook described Apple Intelligence as “woven into the core of our platforms”, and MacBook Neo demand is running so hot he flagged the company was “supply constrained”. Greater China grew 28% in the March quarter. Management guided June-quarter revenue growth of 14% to 17% with gross margin of 47.5% to 48.5%. That is what the July 30 report will confirm.

An earnings track record I trust Apple has delivered nine consecutive beats, with the last quarter posting an EPS of $2.01 against a $1.94 estimate. In the 30 days after that May report, shares rose 10.75%, outpacing SPY by 6.09 percentage points. Over the past year the stock is up 45.86%, and over ten years it is up 1,313.91% on a split-adjusted basis. That is the kind of compounding I plan around.

The risk I actually respect China exposure and the supply chain keep me disciplined. Greater China revenue was $20.50 billion last quarter, and Cook warned that “significantly higher memory costs” will pressure the June quarter. Add the CEO handoff to John Ternus effective September 1, 2026 and the execution bar is real. My response: those memory costs are already baked into the 47.5% to 48.5% margin guide, and Ternus is a 25-year Apple veteran inheriting a roadmap Cook publicly called “incredible”.

Why the buy button stays active At a P/E of 40 on a business printing 26.9% net margins at a $4.53 trillion market cap, Apple looks pricey on the screen and reasonable on the cash it will send my account over the next decade. I plan to keep buying through July 30, and the quarter after that, and the one after that.

Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Apple didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.

Apple App Store growth slows in June quarter, UBS analysis shows
AAPL Apple
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL, XETRA:APC)'s App Store revenue growth slowed in the June 2026 quarter, according to an analysis by UBS, which tracked third-party App Store data from Sensor Tower.

UBS analysts wrote that the App Store recorded approximately 3% year-over-year growth on a reported basis during the quarter, while growth was around 2% on a foreign exchange-neutral basis. The firm noted that growth slowed by roughly 440 basis points compared with the prior quarter, despite only a slightly more challenging comparison period.

The US market was a key source of weakness, with App Store revenue declining approximately 6% year-over-year in the quarter, UBS wrote. In other regions, the App Store grew about 9% year-over-year on a reported basis.

UBS wrote that Apple’s September 2026 quarter will face an easier comparison period, with the year-over-year growth benchmark expected to be around 10%, approximately 270 basis points lower than the June quarter comparison.

The analysts maintained their June-quarter Services revenue estimate, forecasting growth of about 14.3% year-over-year, compared with consensus expectations of roughly 14.5%.

UBS wrote that the estimate remains unchanged despite potential downside risks from slower App Store growth, noting that Apple’s Services segment continued to show strength in the March 2026 quarter, when Services revenue increased about 16.3% despite App Store growth of roughly 8%.

UBS also flagged slowing growth in generative artificial intelligence-related activity, which it views as a contributor to App Store growth. The firm wrote that AI-related growth may be moderating due to tougher comparisons and increasing market saturation.

For valuation, UBS maintained a price target of $296 for Apple shares, based on a valuation multiple of 30 times its calendar 2027 earnings-per-share estimate of $9.86. UBS wrote that the valuation reflects balanced expectations for solid demand alongside uncertainty surrounding Apple’s artificial intelligence strategy.

Shares of Apple were little changed at $313 on Tuesday afternoon.

Apple Stock Is Trending: A Key Level Just Came into Play
AAPL Apple
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) shares are edging slightly lower Tuesday as big-cap technology names face a difficult session with the Nasdaq and the broader S&P 500 down. Here’s what you should know.

Apple stock is among today’s notable decliners. Why is AAPL stock down today? Tech Weakness Deepens as Sector Rotation Pulls Leadership Toward EnergyTechnology is one of the weakest sectors on the session dropping 1.78% while leadership has shifted toward Energy and Real Estate. Apple is holding up better than most of its large-cap peers but the weight of the broader tech selloff is enough to keep the stock in the red.

Market breadth is only mildly positive with an advance/decline ratio of 1.2 offering little in the way of a tailwind for growth names.

Apple’s Foldable iPhone DelayKuo drew a parallel to the iPhone X rollout in 2017 suggesting Apple could unveil the foldable alongside its other new models but hold back preorders and retail availability by several weeks due to manufacturing constraints.

Apple’s Key Moving Averages and TrendsFrom a technical standpoint Apple remains in a well-defined uptrend sitting approximately 5.8% above both its 20-day and 50-day moving averages, 12.5% above its 100-day and 15% above its 200-day. The golden cross established in September 2025 when the 50-day crossed above the 200-day continues to provide a longer-term constructive backdrop.

MACD is currently above its signal line with a positive histogram suggesting buyers are gradually reasserting themselves after the recent pullback. The bigger question heading into the near term is whether the stock can clear supply near its highs or needs to consolidate first following June’s swing high and an overbought RSI reading.

Key resistance sits near $317.50 in the 52-week high zone while $287.50 represents the next meaningful support level below current prices.

AAPL Shares Are DroppingAAPL Price Action: Apple shares were down 0.16% at $312.18 at the time of publication on Tuesday. The stock is trading near its 52-week high of $317.39, according to Benzinga Pro.

Meta Compute Is Bad For Picks And Shovel Plays, Good For Meta
FB Meta Platforms
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Meta is launching a cloud compute business, signaling excess internal capacity and a shift in its capex trajectory. META's move is negative for 'pick-and-shovel' AI suppliers like Nvidia, SK hynix, and infrastructure firms, as Meta's capex growth may slow or cap out. Cloud contract providers such as CoreWeave and Nebius face material risk, given Meta's likely preference for internal datacenters over external deals.

Meta Platforms vs. Nebius: Which Is the Better Neocloud Stock?
FB Meta Platforms
FMP Stock News
Original source text
© Andriy Onufriyenko / Moment via Getty Images

The question for anyone parking retirement dollars in the AI infrastructure trade is simple: Should you own Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META | META Price Prediction) or Nebius Group (NASDAQ:NBIS) right now? Both now feed the same neocloud thesis after Meta said it would potentially monetize its own compute capacity, but they sit at opposite ends of the risk spectrum. One is a cash-gushing mega-cap; the other is a hyper-growth infrastructure builder still bleeding operating cash. Here is the head-to-head on the three dimensions that matter for a retirement portfolio.

Valuation: Meta Wins Decisively Meta trades at a trailing P/E of 22 and a forward P/E of roughly 19, backed by $43.59 billion in full-year 2025 free cash flow and a 33.08% YoY revenue jump in Q1 2026 to $56.31 billion. That is a reasonable price for a company compounding at that pace.

Nebius carries a forward P/E of 68 and a price-to-sales ratio of 62, and its GAAP profits are essentially an accounting artifact: Q1 2026 EPS of $2.11 was driven by a $780.60 million non-cash ClickHouse revaluation gain, while the adjusted net loss actually widened 20% year over year to $100.30 million. Morningstar pegs fair value at $120, well below the current $200.43. Advantage Meta.

Volatility and Balance Sheet: Meta Wins Again Meta is a $1.52 trillion franchise with $115.80 billion in 2025 operating cash flow, interest coverage of 71x, and roughly 3.56 billion daily active people across its Family of Apps. Its beta is 1.246, and the stock is down 8.9% year to date, hardly a trauma event.

Nebius, at a $54.7 billion market cap, is carrying $10.04 billion in convertible debt principal and $9.9 billion in future data center lease obligations. The share price traveled from $88.62 in February 2026 to $197.78 by May, then dropped 18.43% in the past week alone on news that Meta is building its own cloud. A 52-week range of $43.89 to $299.86 speaks for itself. Retirees do not need that.

Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Meta didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.

Growth Trajectory: Nebius Wins the Raw Numbers This one goes to Nebius, and it is not close on a percentage basis. AI Cloud revenue rose 841% year over year in Q1 2026, with adjusted EBITDA margins at 45%. Guidance calls for $7 to $9 billion in ARR exiting 2026 against a $1.25 billion year-end 2025 run rate, backed by $27 billion committed from Meta and $17 billion from Microsoft. Remaining performance obligations sit at $33.59 billion.

Meta’s 33% top-line growth off a $200 billion base is remarkable, but it will not 7x in a year. That said, Meta has its own neocloud optionality. Morgan Stanley estimates that if Meta leases out just 250 MW of contracted capacity to third parties at $40 per watt, it generates roughly $3 in EPS upside in 2028, about an 8% boost. Scale that to 1,000 MW and it is nearly $12 in additional EPS. Meta’s $125 to $145 billion 2026 capex guide is building a business line that does not yet exist. Nebius still wins the growth column, but Meta could quickly close the strategic gap.

The Verdict For a retirement-focused investor, Meta screens as the more defensible position, and it is not a close call. You get real earnings, a 0.36% dividend, roughly $26.25 billion of 2025 buybacks, a fortress balance sheet, and free optionality on a leased-out neocloud business Wall Street has yet to price in. Prediction markets assign a 69% probability Meta out-values OpenAI by year-end 2026, a useful proxy for institutional conviction.

Nebius belongs in a different bucket entirely: aggressive, long-horizon growth accounts that can tolerate 50% drawdowns without flinching. The Meta cloud announcement validates the infrastructure thesis rather than killing it, but customer concentration, dilution risk, and GAAP losses make it inappropriate for anyone drawing down capital within a decade. Meta fits retirement-style portfolios. Nebius fits speculative, high-risk allocations.

Did Meta Overbuy AI Compute, or Is the Market Asking the Wrong Question?

Recent reporting says Meta Platforms (META +1.24%) is exploring ways to rent out excess AI compute. That gives investors an easy worry: maybe Meta bought too much infrastructure, and the AI capital expenditure (capex) cycle is moving from shortage to surplus faster than expected.

Why Is Meta Platforms Stock Gaining Tuesday?
FB Meta Platforms
FMP Stock News
Original source text
The gains came amid improving analyst sentiment and growing investor optimism over Meta’s long-term artificial intelligence monetization strategy.

Erste Group upgraded the stock to Buy from Hold, while BNP Paribas reiterated its Outperform rating ahead of second-quarter earnings.

BNP Paribas said Meta remains well-positioned to sustain revenue growth despite rising AI infrastructure spending and sees a potential future cloud offering as an additional long-term growth opportunity.

Analyst Outlook Ahead Of EarningsBNP Paribas reiterated its Outperform rating and $955 price forecast on Meta ahead of the company’s expected earnings release in the last week of July.

Senior analyst Nick Jones said investors are likely to focus on Meta’s capital spending plans, AI product development, a potential cloud offering and subscription adoption trends.

The analyst expects second-quarter revenue growth to slow from prior quarters because of temporary factors but believes the company can maintain long-term top-line momentum.

Revenue And Earnings ExpectationsBNP Paribas said Meta’s valuation suggests investors remain cautious about earnings growth, the scale of AI investments, returns on those investments, competition in artificial intelligence and the broader macroeconomic environment.

Jones said investors are expecting second-quarter revenue growth of 27% to 29% year over year, compared with the consensus estimate of 27%. He also expects GAAP diluted earnings per share above $7.40, versus the Street consensus of $7.19.

For the third quarter, BNP Paribas believes investors are looking for revenue guidance of $62 billion to $64 billion, compared with the consensus estimate of $63.2 billion.

AI Spending Remains In FocusThe analyst also expects Meta to raise its 2026 capital expenditure outlook by at least $10 billion from its current $125 billion to $145 billion range as higher component costs continue to inflate AI infrastructure spending.

Despite slowing user growth as Meta’s platforms approach saturation, BNP Paribas said engagement remains a key strength. The firm estimates Meta accounts for more than 40% of time spent across major social media platforms, nearly double that of its next-largest competitor. That, it said, should support continued growth in revenue per daily active person.

BNP Paribas expects Meta to fund its elevated AI investments through stronger monetization of AI features, advertising market share gains, subscription revenue and the optionality of a future cloud offering.

Meta Platforms Technical AnalysisMeta is trading about 5.4% above its 20-day simple moving average and slightly above its 50-day moving average. However, the stock remains below both its 100-day and 200-day moving averages, suggesting the longer-term trend has yet to turn positive.

Momentum indicators have improved. The moving average convergence divergence (MACD) remains above its signal line, indicating selling pressure has eased.

Even so, the broader trend remains cautious. The 20-day moving average is still below the 50-day average, while the 50-day average remains below the 200-day average following a death cross that formed in December 2025.

Technical analysts are watching resistance near $643, close to the 200-day moving average. Initial support sits around $595 near the 50-day moving average.

Earnings Remain The Next Major CatalystAttention is now shifting to Meta’s expected second-quarter earnings report, estimated for July 29, 2026, which could shape the stock’s next move.

Wall Street expects earnings per share of $7.18, up from $7.14 a year earlier. Revenue is projected to increase to $60.22 billion from $47.52 billion.

The stock trades at roughly 21.8 times earnings and carries a consensus Buy rating. The average analyst price forecast stands at $826.88. Recent analyst actions include:

Erste Group upgraded the stock to Buy on Tuesday. Wells Fargo maintained an Overweight rating and raised its price forecast to $767 on July 2. RBC Capital Markets reiterated its Outperform rating with an $810 price forecast on June 1. Meta Platforms Price ActionMETA Stock Price Activity: Meta Platforms shares were up 1.42% at $608.83 at the time of publication on Tuesday, according to Benzinga Pro data.

Meta enters AI image model race in bid to court advertisers and subscribers
FB Meta Platforms
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Meta on Tuesday released Muse Image, a new artificial intelligence model for creating images as the company seeks to attract creators and advertisers to its offerings.

Originally codenamed Mango, the AI technology marks the second major release from Meta Superintelligence Labs led by Alexandr Wang, who oversaw the April unveiling of the Muse Spark large language model that succeeded the company's previous Llama family of models.

Muse Image will be available for consumers to access for free via the Meta AI app and site, WhatsApp direct messages and Instagram Stories. Power users and creators must sign up for one of Meta's new monthly subscription plans that debuted in May to create many AI-generated images and access certain features. If users hit their free limit, they can purchase a Meta One subscription or wait until their limit resets, the company said.

Muse Image will also power advertiser-specific, image-generation tools as part of Meta's AI-powered Advantage Plus service that lets brands more easily develop ad creative for their marketing campaigns and automate certain tasks. Meta said it's been working with businesses and advertisers as part of debuting Muse Image.

"Muse Image brings native reasoning to the creative process to adjust elements, swap styles, and create variations based on the advertiser's creative, resulting in high-quality, on-brand ad variations with fewer iterations," the company said in a blog post for businesses. "In the coming weeks, advertisers and agencies can expect to see image variants powered by Muse Image."

OpenAI and Alphabet got a head start over Meta in offering similar image-generation models, with Google's Nano Banana becoming a hit with consumers when it was released last fall.

Meta also revealed internal benchmark tests showing Muse Image trailing OpenAI's latest GPT Image 2 model but beating the Nano Banana 2 model in tasks like editing both single and multiple images.

The social media giant has previously used third-party AI models like Midjourney and Black Forest Labs to power various image and video generation features within its Meta AI app and site. The company said it plans to use its new AI model to reduce reliance on similar third-party technologies.

Meta also plans to release an AI video generation model dubbed Muse Video at a later date, adding in a technical blog that it "offers competitive performance in prompt adherence, visual fidelity, and temporal consistency."

Muse Image will be available on Facebook and Messenger as well as more areas within the Instagram and WhatsApp services later in the year.

Wall Street is increasingly entertaining the possibility of a merger between Elon Musk’s biggest companies, even if it wouldn’t necessarily be easy to pull off.

Tesla TSLA and SpaceX SPCX have been working together for years, although their relationship has deepened recently. In March, Musk announced that Tesla would work with SpaceX on a project aimed at developing a factory capable of making one terawatt per year of compute hardware.

We’re hoping this event will be less cringeworthy than last year’s, which featured Jimmy Fallon and other celebrity appearances, including Stephen Curry and the Jonas Brothers.

There are numerous rumors circulating about the upcoming Pixel 11 lineup. According to email invites shared by outlets like The Verge and Bloomberg, the new devices are expected to feature design upgrades, particularly a new gold color variant for the Pixel 11.

— Mark Gurman (@markgurman) July 7, 2026 Other leaks suggest that the base Pixel 11 may come with slimmer bezels and a sleek black camera bar, while the Pixel 11 Pro is rumored to be slightly thinner than its predecessor. Additionally, there is speculation about the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, which might have a redesigned camera bump and a lighter profile compared to the previous model.

On a negative note, one report suggests that Google may skip the 128GB option for the new models, starting instead with 256GB, which could lead to a higher price tag.

Last year, the event took place on August 20, where Google announced the Pixel 10 series, AI-powered upgrades, and other devices, including a new foldable, the Pixel Watch 4, and the second generation of its budget-friendly A-Series earbuds.

Down Nearly 12% in June, This "Magnificent Seven" Stock Is a No-Brainer Buy Right Now
AMZN Amazon
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Amazon (AMZN +0.72%) has seen much better months than the one it had in June. It finished the month down nearly 12%, reversing a run that saw it reach an all-time high in early May. The only "Magnificent Seven" stock to have a worse month was Microsoft, down 17%.

Despite the slump and underperformance so far this year (through the market close on July 2), Amazon is a no-brainer buy for long-term investors. It may be a rocky ride, but I trust its trajectory.

Amazon's spending isn't sitting well with investors The main critique of Amazon right now by many investors is its spending plans for the year. It plans to have $200 billion in capital expenditures (capex) this year, which is by far the most of any Mag 7 company and likely more than any company in the world. Amazon generates more revenue than any public company in the world, but $200 billion is still massive.

Amazon has long been a premier cash cow, and it will continue to be, but its free cash flow -- the money it uses for things like paying off debt and buying back shares -- will take a hit under its spending plan.

Most of the spending is going toward building out data centers and other AI infrastructure, so it's a means to an end. But when you can't concretely say when you'll see a return on investment, you're bound to turn some investors off.

AMZN Capital Expenditures (Annual) data by YCharts

A means to an end Yes, Amazon's spending plan is staggering by most standards, and it will take a while before it translates into profits. However, I have no doubt that it will.

Amazon already operates the world's largest cloud platform, Amazon Web Services (AWS). At the end of last quarter, AWS's backlog had reached $364 billion. It has way more demand than it can reasonably onboard right now. Ideally, Amazon could monetize that demand immediately, but this isn't the worst problem to have.

Adding computing capacity is a great thing for Amazon, and with the way the AI arms race is going, it's better to overspend to have infrastructure in place than to play it too conservatively and risk falling behind. What's the use in being the biggest moneymaker in the world if you can't flex your muscles a bit?

You get what you paid for At the time of writing, Amazon is trading at just under 28 times its projected earnings over the next year. I wouldn't consider that cheap by any means, but it's lower than its average over the past three years.

That's not a bad price to pay for a company with a dominant e-commerce business, the premier cloud computing platform, a fast-growing advertising business, and plenty of other projects that Amazon has its hands in.

I would expect more of the same volatility to finish the year, but Amazon's long-term prospects remain strong.

Prediction: Prime Day Success Sets Up Amazon for 33% Upside Based on Our Analysis
AMZN Amazon
FMP Stock News
Original source text

Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN | AMZN Price Prediction) heads into the back half of 2026 with an overwhelming Wall Street consensus behind it. Our 24/7 Wall St. price target for Amazon is $323.61, implying 33.36% upside from the current price of $242.67. I rate Amazon a buy with a 90% confidence level, which qualifies as high conviction in our framework.

24/7 Wall St. Price Target Summary Metric Value Current Price $242.67 24/7 Wall St. Price Target $323.61 Upside 33.36% Recommendation BUY Confidence Level 90% Prime Day Momentum Meets a Post-Selloff Setup Amazon shares rose 6.9% in the week ending July 2, even though the stock is still down 5.4% over the past month and sits roughly 12% below its 52-week high of $278.56. Year to date, AMZN is up 5.13%, with a ten-year return of 568.81%.

The Q1 2026 report set the tone. Amazon delivered EPS of $2.78 against a $1.73 estimate, a 60.69% beat, on revenue of $181.52 billion, up 16.6% year over year. AWS grew 28%, its fastest pace in 15 quarters, and now runs at a $150 billion annualized clip. Prime Day 2026 landed in June and is baked into Q2 guidance of $194B to $199B in net sales.

The Case for $370 and Beyond Bulls have plenty to work with. Amazon’s chips business surpassed a $20 billion annual run rate with triple-digit growth, and Andy Jassy noted the company has “over $225 billion in revenue commitments for Trainium“. AWS backlog stood at $364 billion at quarter end, before a $100 billion Anthropic deal was added. Advertising crossed $70 billion in TTM revenue.

Of the 66 analysts covering AMZN, 15 rate it Strong Buy and 47 rate it Buy with zero sells. Our bull case scenario points to $370.67, a 52.75% return, if AWS AI monetization accelerates and Prime Day flows through to margin expansion.

Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Amazon didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.

What Could Go Wrong The bear case centers on capital intensity. Amazon plans roughly $200 billion in 2026 capex, and TTM free cash flow already collapsed 95% to $1.2 billion. Long-term debt climbed to $119.1 billion from $65.6 billion, and Q1 net income was boosted by $16.80 billion in non-recurring Anthropic gains. Reddit thread activity around hyperscaler overinvestment underscores the sentiment risk.

Bulls would counter that Jassy has already flagged the payoff structure, saying “we have high confidence this will be monetized well, as we already have customer commitments for a substantial portion of it”. Still, if AI capex enthusiasm cools, our bear scenario projects $279.45.

I’d Buy This Pullback My final call is buy with a 24/7 Wall St. price target of $323.61 and 90% confidence. The key factor tipping the scale is AWS re-acceleration paired with the chips business hitting escape velocity. I’d be a buyer here if AWS growth stays above 25% into Q3. I’d step aside if free cash flow keeps deteriorating without visible AI monetization by year-end.

Year 24/7 Wall St. Price Target 2026 $323.61 2027 $385 2028 $445 2029 $500 2030 $549.34 These projections assume AWS growth stabilizes in the 20% range and advertising continues expanding above 20%. Meaningful upside or downside could come from Trainium adoption curves and Amazon Leo’s commercial ramp.

Amazon (AMZN) is an Incredible Growth Stock: 3 Reasons Why
AMZN Amazon
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Growth stocks are attractive to many investors, as above-average financial growth helps these stocks easily grab the market's attention and produce exceptional returns. But finding a growth stock that can live up to its true potential can be a tough task.

In addition to volatility, these stocks carry above-average risk by their very nature. Also, one could end up losing from a stock whose growth story is actually over or nearing its end.

However, the Zacks Growth Style Score (part of the Zacks Style Scores system), which looks beyond the traditional growth attributes to analyze a company's real growth prospects, makes it pretty easy to find cutting-edge growth stocks.

Amazon (AMZN - Free Report) is one such stock that our proprietary system currently recommends. The company not only has a favorable Growth Score, but also carries a top Zacks Rank.

Research shows that stocks carrying the best growth features consistently beat the market. And for stocks that have a combination of a Growth Score of A or B and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) or 2 (Buy), returns are even better.

While there are numerous reasons why the stock of this online retailer is a great growth pick right now, we have highlighted three of the most important factors below:

Earnings GrowthArguably nothing is more important than earnings growth, as surging profit levels is what most investors are after. And for growth investors, double-digit earnings growth is definitely preferable, and often an indication of strong prospects (and stock price gains) for the company under consideration.

While the historical EPS growth rate for Amazon is 37.2%, investors should actually focus on the projected growth. The company's EPS is expected to grow 23.6% this year, crushing the industry average, which calls for EPS growth of 22.8%.

Cash Flow GrowthWhile cash is the lifeblood of any business, higher-than-average cash flow growth is more important and beneficial for growth-oriented companies than for mature companies. That's because, growth in cash flow enables these companies to expand their businesses without depending on expensive outside funds.

Right now, year-over-year cash flow growth for Amazon is 28%, which is higher than many of its peers. In fact, the rate compares to the industry average of -5.4%.

While investors should actually consider the current cash flow growth, it's worth taking a look at the historical rate too for putting the current reading into proper perspective. The company's annualized cash flow growth rate has been 25.3% over the past 3-5 years versus the industry average of 13.4%.

Promising Earnings Estimate RevisionsSuperiority of a stock in terms of the metrics outlined above can be further validated by looking at the trend in earnings estimate revisions. A positive trend is of course favorable here. Empirical research shows that there is a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements.

The current-year earnings estimates for Amazon have been revising upward. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current year has surged 0.4% over the past month.

Bottom LineAmazon has not only earned a Growth Score of B based on a number of factors, including the ones discussed above, but it also carries a Zacks Rank #2 because of the positive earnings estimate revisions.

You can see the complete list of today's Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

This combination positions Amazon well for outperformance, so growth investors may want to bet on it.
