Truist Financial zkoumá prodej společnosti AFCO Credit, poskytovatele financování pojistného s aktivy ve výši 6–7 mld. USD, aby se mohla soustředit na svou hlavní bankovní činnost. Jednání jsou v počáteční fázi a uskutečnění transakce není jisté.
Key Takeaways Truist Financial is exploring AFCO Credit sale to streamline operations and focus on core banking.AFCO's potential sale follows TFC's $5.5B near-prime auto loan exit and planned LightStream divestiture.TFC aims to aid funding efficiency and profitability, but AFCO's sale terms and outcome remain uncertain.
According to a Bloomberg report, which was published on Yahoo Finance, Truist Financial Corporation (TFC - Free Report) is exploring the potential sale of AFCO Credit Corp., its insurance premium financing business, as part of its broader efforts to streamline operations and focus on core banking activities. AFCO has approximately $6–$7 billion in assets, and Truist is reportedly working with financial advisers to gauge buyer interest. The bank is considering either an outright sale of the business or a disposal of its assets, although discussions remain early-stage and a transaction is not guaranteed.
Why is TFC Considering an AFCO Credit Sale? The potential divestiture aligns with CEO Mike Lyons’ strategy to exit non-core lending businesses and redirect resources toward the bank’s core franchise. AFCO provides insurance premium financing, helping businesses such as commercial trucking fleets and construction companies pay their insurance premiums upfront. Its specialized lending operations could attract interest from private credit investors, with the business reportedly expected to command a premium to its underlying assets. However, the potential sale price and transaction structure remain undetermined.
The proposed sale follows other portfolio-repositioning initiatives. In September 2026, Truist Financial announced its exit from near-prime auto lending through the sale of approximately $5.5 billion in loans originated by Regional Acceptance Corporation. The transaction generated about $5.2 billion in net proceeds, which the bank used to repay wholesale borrowings. It also repositioned its available-for-sale securities portfolio to improve asset yields. These actions are intended to reduce credit exposure, improve funding efficiency and support profitability.
Truist Financial subsequently signed an agreement on Oct. 14, 2026, to sell $7.7 billion in unsecured consumer loans, representing substantially all the assets of its LightStream lending platform, to Carlyle Group. The transaction is expected to generate approximately $7.2 billion in net proceeds, which Truist Financial plans to use to repay wholesale borrowings. The bank continues to evaluate its loan portfolios as part of its broader strategic review.
Can Portfolio Optimization Support TFC’s Profitability?Truist Financial’s ongoing portfolio rationalization could help improve its funding profile, reduce exposure to selected lending segments and allow management to concentrate on businesses with more attractive risk-adjusted returns. The AFCO review would extend this strategy beyond auto and unsecured consumer lending into specialty commercial finance.
The potential divestiture also aligns with Truist Financial’s efforts to strengthen its core banking franchise through investments in digital capabilities, commercial banking and deposit gathering. However, the financial impact of an AFCO sale will depend on the transaction terms, the proceeds generated and how effectively management redeploys the released capital and resources.
While the potential sale represents another step toward a more focused business model, investors should note that discussions remain preliminary. Until Truist Financial announces a definitive agreement, the timing, valuation and outcome of the proposed divestiture remain uncertain.
Our Take on TFCTruist Financial’s potential AFCO Credit sale underscores management’s continued efforts to streamline operations, optimize its balance sheet and focus on core banking businesses. Following its planned exit from near-prime auto lending and the LightStream consumer loan sale agreement, another divestiture could further improve funding efficiency and reduce exposure to specialized lending segments. However, the ultimate benefits will depend on the sale price, transaction structure and redeployment of proceeds. While portfolio optimization could support long-term profitability, execution risks and continued credit-cost pressures remain key concerns.
Over the past year, shares of TFC have rallied 24.4% compared with the industry’s 9.6% growth.

Marvell shares just cratered while management raised its revenue outlook, creating a rare tension between Wall Street's confidence and the market's sudden cold feet. Here is what the numbers say about which side gets it right.

The stock and the business are heading in opposite directions right now. Management raised its revenue outlook for both fiscal 2027 and fiscal 2028 and guided Q3 revenue to $3.150B +/- 5%.
Wall Street’s consensus target of $341.63 sits well above ours, so I treat $271.84 as a measured base case with room to run higher.
A 165% Rally Hits an October Air Pocket
Marvell has fallen 8.33% over the past week and 12.62% over the past month. It is still up 165.04% year to date. Shares sit about 32% below the 52-week high of $329.73 and far above the low of $70.62.
Chip stocks as a group just came off nine consecutive losing days. Marvell then bounced nearly 7% on October 19, when traders moved back into risk.
The fundamentals are holding up well. Q2 fiscal 2027 revenue came in at $2.7393B, +36.5% YoY, ahead of the $2.707B consensus. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.94 beat the $0.9289 estimate.
Data Center revenue grew 46% and now makes up 79% of sales. At its October Investor Day, Marvell raised its long-term revenue forecasts and lifted its fiscal 2029 custom chip target.
Why Bulls See $350 and Beyond
Our bull case reaches $350.85, a 56.62% return. The October Investor Day raised management’s outlook above its earlier earnings-call targets of roughly $12 billion in fiscal 2027 revenue and about 50% growth in fiscal 2028. They also expected custom revenue to more than double next year.
Non-GAAP operating margin should reach the 38% to 40% target range in Q4. The expanded Google deal includes a warrant for up to 7% of Marvell shares, signaling confidence in the custom business.
CEO Matt Murphy said: “Even as our revenue base becomes significantly larger, our growth rate is accelerating.” Coverage counts 8 Strong Buy, 32 Buy and zero Sell ratings. The consensus target means 52.5% upside.
What Could Drag Marvell Toward $209
Our bear case is $209.36. Revenue depends on a handful of hyperscalers, and any of them could design more chips in-house. Supply of advanced wafers is tight, and stock-based compensation rose to $207.6M from $142.1M.
GAAP operating margin of 16.8% trails the non-GAAP 36.6%, partly because of a $331.8M contingent consideration charge. That charge is acquisition-related and should not repeat every quarter. Debt also looks manageable, with net debt at just 0.27 times EBITDA.
Is Marvell Pricier Than Broadcom and NVIDIA?
Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) competes most directly with Marvell in custom AI silicon. Its AI semiconductor revenue grew 221% to $16.70 billion last quarter.
NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) sets the benchmark for AI accelerators and also partners with Marvell through NVLink Fusion. Both peers are growing faster and trade at lower forward multiples.
Our model gives half its weight to a forward-earnings value well below today’s price, which already builds in some multiple compression. That makes the peer comparison support our 24/7 Wall St. price target as reasonable.

Pullback Widens the Gap to Our Price Target
Our 24/7 Wall St. price target of $271.84, a buy rating and 90% confidence all reflect one thing above all: growth is speeding up while the stock is falling.
I’d grow more constructive if Q3 lands near the $3.150B guidance and custom revenue ramps on schedule. I’d turn cautious if supply constraints or a hyperscaler moving chip design in-house knocks fiscal 2028 targets off course. For now, the data favors the bulls.
Here is where the 24/7 Wall St. price target model projects Marvell could trade, assuming current growth trends hold.

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (HII - Free Report) is scheduled to release third-quarter 2026 earnings on Oct. 29, 2026, before market open. The company delivered an earnings surprise of 38.68% in the last reported quarter.
Let’s discuss the factors that are likely to be reflected in the upcoming quarterly results.
Factors Likely to Affect HII’s Q3 ResultsHigher sales volume from amphibious assault ships is likely to have boosted the Ingalls segment’s top line in the third quarter.
Higher sales volumes from submarine and aircraft carrier programs are likely to have boosted the Newport News segment’s revenue performance.
Major submarine program contracts, including Virginia-class and Columbia-class work, provide long-term demand visibility and support future shipbuilding activity. The company also expects to deliver five ships over the following 12 months. Continued progress on these programs is expected to have supported third-quarter performance.
Cash generation remains a key concern for HII. Management reiterated its full-year free cash flow outlook, with a significant portion of the expected cash generation weighted toward the fourth quarter. Consequently, third-quarter cash flow is likely to have remained constrained if customer payments or contract advances are delayed, while continued investment in shipyard capacity is expected to have put additional pressure on cash generation.

Factors Likely to Have Shaped BOOT’s Q2 OutcomeBoot Barn Holdings’ second-quarter fiscal 2027 performance is likely to have benefited from its aggressive store expansion strategy and the encouraging performance of newly opened locations. The company entered the quarter with strong momentum in new store productivity, reflecting healthy customer demand across its expanding footprint. Management remained confident in its store-opening pipeline, supported by attractive store economics and opportunities to expand into underserved markets. The addition of new locations is likely to have strengthened Boot Barn’s market presence, attracted new customers and supported overall sales growth during the quarter.
Beyond store expansion, Boot Barn’s efforts to strengthen its merchandise assortment and reinvigorate the workwear business are likely to have aided second-quarter performance. The company has been benefiting from improved demand for work boots and work apparel, driven by better in-store merchandising, increased marketing focus and a stronger selection of established third-party brands. Management indicated that the workwear business maintained healthy momentum entering the quarter, reflecting resilient demand from customers purchasing products for everyday work needs. Continued strength in this category, along with merchandising improvements in denim and women's Western boots, may have helped attract customers and support sales.
Meanwhile, Boot Barn’s growing omnichannel capabilities are likely to have provided another boost to its quarterly performance. The company has been witnessing encouraging demand across its digital business, supported by the strength of bootbarn.com and its efforts to create a seamless shopping experience. Services such as buy online, pick up in store and ship-to-store have been helping drive customer engagement while making inventory more accessible across channels. The company's ability to fulfill online orders through its store network is also likely to have supported fulfillment efficiency and profitability. These initiatives, combined with continued investments in digital shopping capabilities, may have helped sustain e-commerce momentum during the quarter.
On its last earnings call, management guided consolidated same-store sales in the range of flat to up 2%, with retail store same-store sales between down 1% and up 1% and e-commerce same-store sales growth of 10% to 12%.
On the profitability front, Boot Barn’s focus on merchandise margin expansion and disciplined cost management is likely to have supported earnings growth. The company has been benefiting from improved full-price selling, favorable buying economies of scale, supply-chain efficiencies and strategic sourcing initiatives. Management also expected lower freight expenses compared with the prior-year period, which may have provided additional support to merchandise margins. Anticipated tariff refunds are likely to have offered a favorable contribution to profitability. Together with efficient expense management and better operating leverage, these factors may have boosted Boot Barn’s bottom-line performance during the second quarter.

Očekává se, že CRH ve třetím čtvrtletí vykáže tržby ve výši 11,72 miliardy USD, což představuje meziroční nárůst o 5,9 %, zatímco EPS by mělo klesnout o 3,2 % na 2,14 USD.

CRH plc (CRH - Free Report) is scheduled to release third-quarter 2026 results on Oct. 29, before the opening bell.
In the last reported quarter, the company surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate for adjusted earnings and total revenues by 12.8% and 0.5%, respectively. Year over year, adjusted earnings and total revenues increased 14% and 6%, respectively.
CRH’s earnings topped the consensus mark in two of the last four quarters, met on one occasion and missed on the remaining occasion, with an average surprise of 2.6%.
Trend in the Estimate Revision of CRHThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for CRH’s third-quarter earnings has trended downward from $2.27 to $2.14 per share over the past 30 days. The estimate implies a 3.2% year-over-year decline from the prior-year quarter.
The consensus estimate for total revenues is pegged at $11.72 billion, indicating 5.9% year-over-year growth.
Let us take a look at how things might have shaped up in the quarter to be reported.
Factors Likely to Shape CRH's Quarterly ResultsRevenues
CRH's third-quarter performance is likely to have benefited from favorable infrastructure demand, positive pricing momentum and contributions from acquisitions. Continued investments in transportation, water infrastructure and reindustrialization projects are expected to have supported demand for building materials in the to-be-reported quarter. Management highlighted strong state and federal infrastructure funding, along with positive momentum in bidding activity and project backlogs. The company anticipated that approximately 40% of Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) funding would remain undeployed at the end of 2026, providing visibility into future construction activity.
The Americas Materials Solutions segment is likely to have benefited from favorable pricing, strong infrastructure demand and healthy project backlogs. Management's expectation for mid-single-digit aggregates pricing growth in 2026, along with increased road construction activity, is likely to have supported revenues. Growing investments in data centers, advanced manufacturing and energy infrastructure are expected to have boosted demand for CRH's building materials and solutions. Contributions from the Axius Water acquisition and Eco Material Technologies are also likely to have aided top-line growth, partly offset by non-core divestitures.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues from the Americas Materials Solutions (which contributed 46% of second-quarter 2026 revenues) and Americas Building Solutions (20% of second-quarter revenues) operations is pegged at $6.17 billion and $1.81 billion, respectively, reflecting year-over-year growth of 9.5% and 0.7%. The consensus mark for revenues from the International Solutions (34% of second-quarter revenues) operations is pegged at $3.74 billion, indicating a 2.9% increase year over year.
Margins
On the margin front, elevated haulage rates and persistent cost inflation are likely to have pressured CRH's profitability, particularly within Americas Building Solutions. Subdued residential demand and the lag in recovering higher costs through pricing may have further weighed on margins in the to-be-reported quarter.
However, the company's pricing surcharges, cost-reduction measures and operational improvement initiatives are expected to have partly mitigated these pressures. Management anticipates inflationary pressures to moderate during the second half of 2026, while procurement efficiencies and acquisition synergies are likely to have provided some margin support.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for adjusted EBITDA from the Americas Materials Solutions, Americas Building Solutions and International Solutions operations is pegged at $1.7 billion, $398 million and $716 million, respectively, reflecting a year-over-year increase of 9.3%, a decline of 7.9% and an increase of 1.1% from $1,555 million, $432 million and $708 million reported in the year-ago quarter.

The market expects Madrigal (MDGL - Free Report) to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended September 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook is important in assessing the company's earnings picture, but a powerful factor that might influence its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.
The stock might move higher if these key numbers top expectations in the upcoming earnings report, which is expected to be released on November 3. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.
While the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call, it's worth handicapping the probability of a positive EPS surprise.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis biopharmaceutical company is expected to post quarterly loss of $1.09 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +78.5%.
Revenues are expected to be $400.03 million, up 39.3% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has remained unchanged over the last 30 days. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.
Investors should keep in mind that the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts may not always get reflected in the aggregate change.
Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise
Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. Our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) -- has this insight at its core.
The Zacks Earnings ESP compares the Most Accurate Estimate to the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the quarter; the Most Accurate Estimate is a more recent version of the Zacks Consensus EPS estimate. The idea here is that analysts revising their estimates right before an earnings release have the latest information, which could potentially be more accurate than what they and others contributing to the consensus had predicted earlier.
Thus, a positive or negative Earnings ESP reading theoretically indicates the likely deviation of the actual earnings from the consensus estimate. However, the model's predictive power is significant for positive ESP readings only.
A positive Earnings ESP is a strong predictor of an earnings beat, particularly when combined with a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold). Our research shows that stocks with this combination produce a positive surprise nearly 70% of the time, and a solid Zacks Rank actually increases the predictive power of Earnings ESP.
Please note that a negative Earnings ESP reading is not indicative of an earnings miss. Our research shows that it is difficult to predict an earnings beat with any degree of confidence for stocks with negative Earnings ESP readings and/or Zacks Rank of 4 (Sell) or 5 (Strong Sell).
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Madrigal? For Madrigal, the Most Accurate Estimate is lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bearish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -53.68%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Madrigal will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Madrigal would post a loss of$2.55 per share when it actually produced a loss of -$1.99, delivering a surprise of +21.96%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates two times.
Bottom LineAn earnings beat or miss may not be the sole basis for a stock moving higher or lower. Many stocks end up losing ground despite an earnings beat due to other factors that disappoint investors. Similarly, unforeseen catalysts help a number of stocks gain despite an earnings miss.
That said, betting on stocks that are expected to beat earnings expectations does increase the odds of success. This is why it's worth checking a company's Earnings ESP and Zacks Rank ahead of its quarterly release. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.
Madrigal doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.
Stay on top of upcoming earnings announcements with the Zacks Earnings Calendar.
The market expects Ultragenyx (RARE - Free Report) to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended September 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook is important in assessing the company's earnings picture, but a powerful factor that might influence its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.
The earnings report might help the stock move higher if these key numbers are better than expectations. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.
While management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call will mostly determine the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations, it's worth having a handicapping insight into the odds of a positive EPS surprise.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis biotechnology company is expected to post quarterly loss of $0.88 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +51.4%.
Revenues are expected to be $184.25 million, up 15.2% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 82.52% higher over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.
Investors should keep in mind that an aggregate change may not always reflect the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts.

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Ultragenyx? For Ultragenyx, the Most Accurate Estimate is lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bearish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -22.56%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Ultragenyx will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue?Analysts often consider to what extent a company has been able to match consensus estimates in the past while calculating their estimates for its future earnings. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Ultragenyx would post a loss of$1.27 per share when it actually produced a loss of -$0.90, delivering a surprise of +29.13%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates just once.
Ultragenyx doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

Hyatt má ve 3. čtvrtletí vykázat EPS ve výši 0,69 USD, což představuje meziroční nárůst o 330 %, zatímco tržby mají klesnout o 1 % na 1,77 miliardy USD.
Key Takeaways Hyatt is expected to post Q3 EPS growth of 330% to 69 cents, with revenues down 1% to $1.77 billion.Asset-light expansion is projected to drive gross fee growth despite regional and resort headwinds.Luxury demand, a 154,000-room development pipeline and loyalty growth could support earnings.
Hyatt Hotels Corporation (H - Free Report) is scheduled to report third-quarter 2026 results on Oct. 29, before the opening bell.
H’s earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate in three of the trailing four quarters, and missed once, the average surprise being 58.1%.
Trend in the Estimate Revision of HThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for third-quarter earnings per share (EPS) is pegged at 69 cents, indicating growth of 330% year over year.
For revenues, the consensus mark is pinned at $1.77 billion, implying a 1% decrease from the prior-year quarter.
Let's look at how things have shaped up in the quarter.
Factors Likely to Shape Hyatt’s Quarterly ResultsHyatt’s third-quarter 2026 top line is expected to have been impacted by weakness in its all-inclusive resort business and regional operating challenges. During its second-quarter earnings call, management indicated that net package revenue per available room (RevPAR) is expected to decline moderately year over year in the third quarter. Booking trends at Hyatt's all-inclusive resorts in Mexico have been improving sequentially but remained below expectations following a security incident earlier in 2026.
Lower flight capacity has also constrained demand, while the company expects the recovery in travel spending among customers seeking four-star properties to take time. These challenges might have offset strength in other parts of Hyatt's portfolio.
The company's top line is also likely to have encountered headwinds from geopolitical disruptions and a less favorable contribution from certain parts of its portfolio. Hyatt expects hotel revenues in the Middle East to have remained significantly below the prior-year level because of the ongoing regional conflict. Management expects this can reduce full-year fees by approximately $10 million. In addition, temporary hotel closures in Jamaica following Hurricane Melissa and softer demand in Mexico have been weighing on the distribution business.
The company has also experienced some portfolio-related room-count reductions, including adjustments related to Playa Hotels and turnover in its UrCove and Lindner portfolios. Although Hyatt expects third-quarter global RevPAR growth to be toward the lower end of its full-year outlook, continued expansion in the asset-light business might have supported gross fee growth in the high single digits.
Our model predicts net fee revenues to increase 25.6%, whereas Owned and Leased as well as Distribution revenues are expected to decline 34.6% and 38.5%, year over year, respectively.
Hyatt's bottom line is likely to have improved, supported by continued growth in its core fee-based business, a larger hotel portfolio and operating efficiencies. Management highlighted strong demand for its luxury and lifestyle brands, a record development pipeline of approximately 154,000 rooms and growing loyalty-program membership, all of which support fee generation.
The company also expects its asset-light model to translate fee growth into higher earnings and cash flow with relatively modest incremental capital requirements. Furthermore, management indicated that distribution-related pressure was concentrated in the first half of 2026 and expected some improvement in the second half. These factors might have supported adjusted EBITDA growth and stronger profitability, even as regional demand challenges limit the pace of revenue growth.
What Our Model Says About H StockOur proven model does not conclusively predict an earnings beat for Hyatt this time. A stock needs to have a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold) to beat earnings. However, that is not the case here.

Beam Therapeutics: BEAM-301 v dávce 40 mg prodloužil medián doby tolerance lačnění u pacientů s GSD1a z 2,5 na 15 hodin; dva ze tří pacientů vysadili kukuřičný škrobový přípravek.
3 Biotech Stocks That Could Benefit from the Patent CliffBeam Therapeutics NASDAQ: BEAM reported initial clinical data from its Phase I/II trial of BEAM-301, an investigational base-editing therapy for glycogen storage disease type 1A (GSD1a), showing dose-dependent improvements in fasting tolerance and reductions in cornstarch supplementation among the first six treated patients.
The data, presented at the ESGCT Annual Congress, included three patients treated with a 20 mg dose and three patients treated with a 40 mg dose. As of an Aug. 17, 2026 cutoff, median follow-up across both cohorts was 7.6 months.

Fasting Tolerance Improved in Higher-Dose Cohort MarketBeat Week in Review – 3/4 – 3/8GSD1a is a metabolic disease caused by mutations in the G6PC1 gene that impair the body’s ability to maintain glucose levels during fasting. Patients can become severely hypoglycemic within two to three hours without food or cornstarch and may require frequent doses of cornstarch throughout the day and overnight.
BEAM-301 is an mRNA-based adenine base editor and guide RNA delivered through a lipid nanoparticle, or LNP. It is designed to correct the R83C mutation in the G6PC1 gene and restore glucose-6-phosphatase activity in the liver.
Beam Therapeutics Bolts Higher on Gene Therapy Licensing PaymentsAt baseline, the six patients had a median fasting duration of 2.7 hours before reaching hypoglycemia, defined as glucose levels below 60 mg/dL. They also required a median of six cornstarch doses per day.
According to Chief Medical Officer Amy Simon, the median fasting duration in the 20 mg cohort increased from 2.9 hours at baseline to 4.3 hours at day 36. In the 40 mg cohort, median fasting duration increased from 2.5 hours at baseline to 15 hours, the protocol-defined maximum duration of the controlled fasting challenge.
Two of the three patients treated at 40 mg reached the 15-hour fasting limit and eliminated cornstarch supplementation entirely. The third patient in that cohort did not show increased fasting duration. Simon said the company is evaluating whether the lack of response may be related to elevated body mass index, potentially reducing liver drug exposure, or to the patient’s compound heterozygous genotype.
“Taken together, we believe these initial data demonstrate clinical proof of concept for BEAM-301,” Simon said.
Safety Findings and Next Steps Beam said BEAM-301 showed an acceptable safety profile at both tested dose levels. The company reported no dose-limiting toxicities, treatment-related discontinuations, or Grade 4 or Grade 5 treatment-emergent adverse events.
The most frequent treatment-related adverse events were infusion-related reactions and transient elevations in transaminases, which Beam said were consistent with the known safety profile of intravenous LNPs. All transaminase elevations resolved without intervention. With the exception of one Grade 2 AST elevation, the elevations were Grade 1.
Simon said the Grade 3 infusion-related reactions may have been influenced by the use of shorter-acting steroid premedication in this patient population. Long-acting steroids are generally avoided in GSD1a because of the potential risk of metabolic decompensation. Beam has since modified its premedication regimen.
The company is enrolling patients in a 60 mg cohort to further evaluate safety and efficacy and select an optimal biological dose. Beam may also consider expanding cohorts beyond three patients and potentially opening a pediatric cohort, executives said during the question-and-answer session.
Chief Executive Officer John Evans said Beam plans to engage the FDA on a potential approval pathway after reviewing data from the 60 mg cohort. He said the company expects to seek an efficient development route given the severity and rarity of the R83C patient population. Beam estimates there are approximately 300 diagnosed U.S. patients with the mutation, though Evans said epidemiological calculations could suggest a higher figure.
Platform Strategy Extends to PKU Beam also discussed progress in its BEAM-304 program for phenylketonuria, or PKU, an inherited metabolic disorder caused by multiple mutations in the PAH gene. The company said it has identified a third development candidate, BEAM-304C, targeting an undisclosed PKU mutation, following the prior identification of BEAM-304A and BEAM-304B.
Beam said the first three BEAM-304 candidates could potentially address up to half of U.S. PKU patients. The company plans to use a shared LNP delivery system, manufacturing approach and clinical framework across the variants while designing each editor and guide RNA for a specific disease-causing mutation.
President Giuseppe Pino Ciaramella said the FDA cleared a single investigational new drug application for BEAM-304 that enables Beam to evaluate multiple candidates under one clinical protocol. BEAM-304A is planned to enter dose escalation first, with subsequent variants potentially starting at the optimal biological dose identified for the first candidate.
Evans said the company expects the first PKU sites to open around the end of 2026 or early 2027, noting that Beam plans to conduct the study through major U.S. academic metabolic centers.
Beam also reiterated that its sickle cell disease program, risto-cel, remains on track for a potential biologics license application submission and potential first commercial launch, while its BEAM-302 program for alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency is in pivotal development.

Wall Street expects a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when Eaton (ETN - Free Report) reports results for the quarter ended September 2026. While this widely-known consensus outlook is important in gauging the company's earnings picture, a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.
The earnings report, which is expected to be released on November 3, might help the stock move higher if these key numbers are better than expectations. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.
While the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call, it's worth handicapping the probability of a positive EPS surprise.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis power management company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $3.54 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +15.3%.
Revenues are expected to be $8.48 billion, up 21.4% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 0.59% higher over the last 30 days to the current level.
This insight is at the core of our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction).

Service Corporation may benefit from stabilizing funeral volumes, higher service revenues and preneed sales.SCI's cemetery sales momentum, deferred property revenues and cost discipline may support Q3 margins.
Service Corporation International (SCI - Free Report) is likely to witness top-and bottom-line growth when it reports third-quarter 2026 earnings on Oct. 28. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues is pegged at $1.1 billion, indicating a 5% increase from the year-ago reported number.
The consensus mark for earnings has remained unchanged over the past 30 days at 98 cents a share, which suggests 12.6% growth from the year-ago period’s figure. SCI has a trailing four-quarter surprise of 0.7%, on average.
Factors Likely to Influence SCI’s Upcoming ResultsService Corporation’s third-quarter results are likely to benefit from improving funeral volume trends and higher average revenue per service. On its last earnings call, management indicated that July funeral volumes were approximately flat year over year, suggesting stabilization. Revenues from maturing preneed contracts may have provided additional support.
The cemetery segment is likely to have benefited from strong preneed sales momentum. Management expects mid-to-high-single-digit growth in cemetery preneed sales production during the second half, primarily driven by core sales. Improved sales effectiveness, preneed seminars and the July expansion of cemetery offerings to cremation customers may have supported performance.
SCI’s profitability may have gained from the recognition of deferred, higher-margin cemetery property sales and trust fund income. Funeral margins are likely to have benefited from easing accounting-related pressures associated with insurance-funded preneed contracts and selling compensation changes. Disciplined cost management is likely to have provided additional support.
However, lingering funeral volume softness, rising cremation penetration and the timing of cemetery revenue recognition could have weighed on performance.

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Varonis? For Varonis, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +9.09%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.
So, this combination indicates that Varonis will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue?Analysts often consider to what extent a company has been able to match consensus estimates in the past while calculating their estimates for its future earnings. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Varonis would post earnings of $0.01 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.04, delivering a surprise of +300.00%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates three times.
Varonis appears a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

Over the last 30 days, the consensus EPS estimate for Check Point has been revised 0.2% down to the current level. Nevertheless, the company now has an Earnings ESP of +0.09%, reflecting a higher Most Accurate Estimate.

Wall Street expects a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when Jack Henry (JKHY - Free Report) reports results for the quarter ended September 2026.

Sweetgreen is rolling out a new pay and incentive plan for 2027.
Heather Diehl/Getty Images
Sweetgreen restaurant managers are about to see some more sweet green.
The salad bowl chain said Tuesday it is rolling out a new compensation and incentive plan for the new year that would raise annual pay for managers of high-performing locations to more than $200,000.
"This sets Sweetgreen up to be in the top tier of restaurants for total compensation for general managers," chief operating officer Jason Cochran told Business Insider. "Our ability to be able to attract, retain, and also inspire many of our internal team members to want to be head coaches — I think it's going to be meaningful for many years to come."
Managers need to have at least three years on the job to be eligible for the highest pay bands, and a new revenue-share bonus will directly reward leaders when their location beats it sales goals, the company said. Managers may also receive shares of Sweetgreen stock based on their performance.
Cochran said the typical tenure of restaurant managers ranges from three months to 10 years, and that store teams consist of about 25 to 50 employees.
"One of the shift leads was telling me they heard the news and how excited they were for their career at Sweetgreen," he said. "She's been with us six years."
The company also said the changes at the top are part of a larger push to improve talent retention and training within the chain.
"Great leaders build great teams, and great teams build a great business. As we approach 300 restaurants, we're betting big on our Head Coaches," co-founder and CEO Jonathan Nemen said in a statement. "The restaurant industry has always been one of the great engines of opportunity, and we want to make that real for thousands of people."

Aptiv PLC (APTV - Free Report) is expected to deliver a year-over-year decline in earnings on lower revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended September 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook gives a good sense of the company's earnings picture, but how the actual results compare to these estimates is a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $1.33 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of -38.7%.
Revenues are expected to be $3.16 billion, down 39.3% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 0.33% lower over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.
Investors should keep in mind that an aggregate change may not always reflect the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts.
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for APTIV PLC?For APTIV PLC, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +2.23%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #4.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that APTIV PLC will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that APTIV PLC would post earnings of $1.42 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.63, delivering a surprise of +14.79%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates four times.
APTIV PLC doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.
An Industry Player's Expected ResultsAmong the stocks in the Zacks Technology Services industry, Ingram Micro (INGM - Free Report) , is soon expected to post earnings of $0.78 per share for the quarter ended September 2026. This estimate indicates a year-over-year change of +8.3%. This quarter's revenue is expected to be $13.83 billion, up 9.7% from the year-ago quarter.
The consensus EPS estimate for Ingram Micro has been revised 0.1% lower over the last 30 days to the current level. However, a lower Most Accurate Estimate has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -0.43%.
When combined with a Zacks Rank of #2 (Buy), this Earnings ESP makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Ingram Micro will beat the consensus EPS estimate. The company beat consensus EPS estimates in each of the trailing four quarters.

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Redwood Trust? For Redwood Trust, the Most Accurate Estimate is the same as the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that there are no recent analyst views which differ from what have been considered to derive the consensus estimate. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of 0%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #5.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Redwood Trust will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Redwood Trust would post earnings of $0.26 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.25, delivering a surprise of -3.85%.
Redwood Trust doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.
Expected Results of an Industry PlayerAnother stock from the Zacks REIT and Equity Trust industry, Arbor Realty Trust (ABR - Free Report) , is soon expected to post earnings of $0.06 per share for the quarter ended September 2026. This estimate indicates a year-over-year change of -82.9%. Revenues for the quarter are expected to be $227.4 million, up 2% from the year-ago quarter.
The consensus EPS estimate for Arbor Realty Trust has been revised 30% lower over the last 30 days to the current level. However, a lower Most Accurate Estimate has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -66.67%.
When combined with a Zacks Rank of #4 (Sell), this Earnings ESP makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Arbor Realty Trust will beat the consensus EPS estimate. Over the last four quarters, the company surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times.

Latham Group (SWIM - Free Report) is expected to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended September 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook gives a good sense of the company's earnings picture, but how the actual results compare to these estimates is a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis swimming pool maker is expected to post quarterly earnings of $0.15 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +87.5%.
Revenues are expected to be $181 million, up 11.8% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 12.5% higher over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.
Investors should keep in mind that an aggregate change may not always reflect the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts.
Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise
Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. This insight is at the core of our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction).

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Latham Group? For Latham Group, the Most Accurate Estimate is lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bearish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -6.67%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #5.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Latham Group will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Latham Group would post earnings of $0.17 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.12, delivering a surprise of -29.41%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates just once.

Planet Labs just posted the strongest quarter in its history, yet the stock dropped 30% this year. Here is why that gap keeps widening my position and the exact two conditions that would make me walk away.
I added to my Planet Labs (NYSE:PL) position again this month, and every dip makes the next purchase easier. Shares sat at $13.77 on October 26, down 30.17% year to date. That drop came right after the company delivered the strongest quarter in its history. While the business speeds up and the stock falls, I keep buying.
Planet Sees the Whole Planet Every Day
Conventional satellite operators take static, targeted photos on demand. Planet runs hundreds of satellites (SuperDoves, Pelicans and Tanagers) that image the entire Earth’s landmass daily. That daily scan builds an archive rivals cannot buy. CEO Will Marshall put it plainly: “Even if someone had a daily scan suddenly today, they wouldn’t have the archive to go back and find all these things for several years.” Customers pay for that history through subscriptions, and 98% of annual contract value is recurring.
Three Receipts Behind Every Purchase
Growth comes first. Fiscal Q2 2027 revenue reached $116.05 million, up 58.1% year over year and ahead of the $104.22 million consensus. Defense and intelligence revenue grew over 90%, and full-year guidance calls for $430 million to $441 million.
Visibility comes second. Net dollar retention stands at 109%. Planet counts over $4 billion of identified satellite-services opportunities, with over 25% qualified as near-term. It launched a sovereign satellite for the Swedish Armed Forces 4 months after signing.
Financial strength comes third. Planet generated $52.87 million of free cash flow in fiscal 2026, its first full year with positive free cash flow. Adjusted EBITDA reached $13.93 million last quarter, up from $6.41 million a year earlier. Adjusted EPS of $0.02 beat the -$0.0213 consensus, its fifth consecutive quarterly beat. Cash, equivalents and short-term investments total about $865 million. Last quarter, Planet sold shares through its ATM program at an average net price of $31.95. I’m buying at $13.77.
Why My Money Skips BlackSky
BlackSky Technology (NYSE:BKSY) grew Q2 2026 revenue 50.08% to $33.316 million, yet its GAAP EPS of -$0.54 missed the -$0.3467 estimate. Its 2025 operating cash flow came in at -$28.311 million, and it ended the quarter with $36.897 million in cash after a $150 million ATM raise. Planet generates positive free cash flow. BlackSky relies more heavily on capital markets.
Only Two Things Will Stop Me
Dilution and capital cycles top the list. Planet raised about $120 million through its ATM last quarter. It has $448.3 million in convertible notes, spends $17.1 million a quarter on stock-based compensation and plans $100 million to $115 million of capex this year.
Government concentration comes second. Defense budgets drive the growth, and those contracts has termination-for-convenience clauses.
So far, both stay inside my limits. Management sold stock well above today’s price and said, “We are very diligent about how we are adding that capital to the balance sheet, making sure that we’re sensitive to dilution as we know our shareholders are.” The government book covers Sweden, Germany, Rwanda and U.S. agencies, and EMEA revenue grew over 130%. If ATM sales increase up at low prices or a major agency walks away, I stop buying.
What Keeps the Growth Thesis Intact
The next-generation Owl fleet promises “10 times more data” delivered “10 times faster,” and management called it “definitely a price increase opportunity.” Marshall estimates Planet holds under 5% of today’s Earth observation market. A company growing 58% with that little share and that much cash keeps my confidence in the thesis high.

Equinor uzavřel s Aker BP partnerství pro rozvoj obtížně těžitelných ložisek na norském kontinentálním šelfu, kde se odhaduje 2,8 miliardy barelů ropného ekvivalentu vytěžitelných zdrojů.
Key Takeaways EQNR teams up with Aker BP to develop tight offshore reservoirs and improve hydrocarbon recovery efficiency.Norway's tight reservoirs hold 2.8 billion barrels of oil equivalent in estimated recoverable resources.Shared expertise and advanced technologies may lower costs, improve recovery rates and boost profitability. Equinor ASA (EQNR - Free Report) is pursuing additional growth opportunities in Norway's offshore energy sector through an agreement with Aker BP to jointly address the challenges of developing tight oil and gas reservoirs. The companies plan to combine their technical capabilities, establish common development practices and explore innovative extraction methods to improve recovery efficiency and make difficult offshore discoveries commercially attractive.
Unlocking Significant Resource Potential for EQNRThe Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) offers substantial untapped hydrocarbon opportunities, with the Norwegian Offshore Directorate estimating recoverable resources of around 2.8 billion barrels of oil equivalent in mapped tight reservoirs, comparable to Johan Sverdrup's anticipated recoverable volumes.
The reservoirs contain substantial hydrocarbon resources but present extraction challenges due to limited fluid movement through the rock. With improved extraction technologies and cost efficiencies, the collaboration is expected to unlock additional hydrocarbon resources, strengthening EQNR's long-term profitability.
EQNR’s Cost Optimization Through CollaborationThrough coordinated development and shared technical expertise, Equinor and Aker BP intend to lower operational expenses and accelerate the deployment of advanced technologies across multiple projects.
Standardized solutions, shared expertise and coordinated technology development are anticipated to lower project costs and improve capital efficiency. These initiatives support faster technology qualification, potentially enhancing the profitability of previously uneconomic discoveries.
Improving Recovery From EQNR’s Existing DiscoveriesApproximately 90 discoveries on the NCS await development approval, with many located in tight reservoirs. Traditional extraction methods make recovering these resources economically challenging, limiting their prospects for profitable development.
The partnership emphasizes advanced well stimulation technologies and resource maturation to increase recovery rates. Higher recovery rates are expected to improve the financial viability of offshore developments, supporting EQNR's long-term profitability.
Long-Term Investment Implications for EQNRThe collaboration represents an opportunity for Equinor to enhance its resource monetization strategy without relying exclusively on discoveries.
Developing common solutions across multiple projects is likely to support more predictable activity, strengthen supplier capabilities and improve operational efficiency.
However, commercial outcomes remain dependent on successful technology development and economically viable project execution. The collaboration aligns with EQNR's strategy of enhancing offshore asset economics, boosting its longer-term production potential and profitability prospects.
EQNR’s Zacks Rank & Other Key PicksEquinor currently carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).

Wall Street expects a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when Astera Labs, Inc. (ALAB - Free Report) reports results for the quarter ended September 2026. While this widely-known consensus outlook is important in gauging the company's earnings picture, a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.
The stock might move higher if these key numbers top expectations in the upcoming earnings report, which is expected to be released on November 3. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.

This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of 0%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Astera Labs, Inc. will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue?Analysts often consider to what extent a company has been able to match consensus estimates in the past while calculating their estimates for its future earnings. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Astera Labs, Inc. would post earnings of $0.69 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.80, delivering a surprise of +15.94%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates four times.

Over the last 30 days, the consensus EPS estimate for Verra Mobility has been revised 0.8% down to the current level. Nevertheless, the company now has an Earnings ESP of +1.56%, reflecting a higher Most Accurate Estimate.
This Earnings ESP, combined with its Zacks Rank #4 (Sell), makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Verra Mobility will beat the consensus EPS estimate. Over the last four quarters, the company surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times.

Apple vydal iOS 27.2 s více než 160 bezpečnostními opravami a beta verzí podpory Siri s AI ve francouzštině, japonštině, korejštině, portugalštině a španělštině.
Apple has rolled out its latest iOS 27.2 update for iPhones and iPads, featuring expanded language support and improved memory functions for Siri AI, suggestions in messages, and Apple Pencil support for the foldable iPhone Duo.
With the new software update, Siri AI can now be used in French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish, in beta. Apple says the AI assistant can now remember details from past conversations and answer accordingly. The ability for AI assistants to remember a person’s preferences have been a key area of focus for AI model makers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, whose assistants now do a better job at recalling facts and choices related to users.
Apart from its own suggestions and answers, Siri can also tap into sources like photos attached in Messages, calendar event attendees, voicemails, Safari history, and reading lists. Users can define what apps they might want to exclude from Siri AI’s memories.
While the iPhone Duo is facing some display-related problems for early buyers, Apple is adding more features with the update. iOS 27.2 brings Apple Pencil support for the foldable in apps like Notes and Preview. What’s more, users can use the Edge Light effect to highlight their face better during video calls.
The new software version also adds features for FaceTime, including streaming via front and rear camera simultaneously through Dual Capture for group call, and the ability to add a third-party sign language interpreter or live captioner to a call.
Users on iOS 27.2 will get suggestions to add a message as an item in a reminder or an event in a calendar. Plus, users can edit captions or add comments in Shared Albums along with reminders of the expiry date of the folder.
The update also refreshes the Podcast app, which will show new episodes from the shows you follow and also the episodes that you are currently listening to.
Apple has also added Multiview to iPhone so viewers can watch up to four live sport streams simultaneously on Apple TV such as Major League Soccer (MLS), Formula 1 (F1) in the U.S., and Friday Night Baseball doubleheaders during the Major League Baseball (MLB) season. Users can also view multiple feeds of F1 during the broadcast.
iOS 27.2 also packs in over 160 security fixes, according to the company’s release documentation. Many of the bug fixes were also backported so that users running the older iOS 26 software can benefit from the fixes.
Apple says that about 80% of iPhone owners are still running iOS 26.
Meanwhile, Apple backported a specific bug fix to users of iOS 18, first released in 2024, which Apple says may have been exploited “in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals on versions of iOS before iOS 27.” This is standard language that Apple uses when someone’s phone has been compromised by government spyware or a law enforcement forensic device, but did not provide specifics about who was exploiting it.

Meta Platforms (META -0.81%), the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, has had a strong year of growth, while its stock has been quiet. As of Oct. 22, the stock was slightly down year to date and about 18% below its September high of $779.82.
That pullback is a buying opportunity, with Meta coming off a strong quarter and maintaining business momentum heading into 2027. Here are three reasons to take advantage of the dip.
1. Meta is putting personal AI agents in billions of hands
CEO Mark Zuckerberg's big goal is what he calls "personal superintelligence." Meta wants to give every person their own artificial intelligence (AI) agent -- software that carries out tasks on its own for you. The recent launch of Muse, Meta's new personal agent, shows how Meta can turn its massive AI investments into products that reach people directly, opening up new ways to diversify revenue beyond advertising.
It is perfectly positioned to be a major distributor of AI consumer products. Meta's family of apps is used by 3.6 billion people every day, a massive audience to monetize.
The early results are encouraging. More than 10 million people downloaded and set up Muse in the first six weeks. Shopping is its most common use right now, and management expects Muse to eventually earn more per user than Meta's existing apps because of how people are already using it.
$625.46-$5.10 (-0.81%)
NASDAQ · As of 12:02 PM ET 10/27/26
2. AI is making Meta's ads more valuable to advertisers
Meta still makes most of its money selling ads, and AI is enhancing that growth engine. The company relies on ranking and recommendation models, where its AI systems decide which ad to show each person. In the third quarter, upgrades to its GEM and Andromeda models lifted conversions, meaning more people took action after seeing an ad.
Ad impressions grew 10% year over year, while the average price per ad climbed 14%. That pushed total revenue up 26% to nearly $65 billion, beating the top end of management's guidance.
Management expects fourth-quarter revenue of $73 billion to $76 billion. CFO Susan Li said that upcoming advances in models and product launches give Meta opportunities to maintain strong revenue growth throughout 2027.
3. The stock is trading at a market average P/E
Meta's reported operating profit fell 37% year over year in the third quarter, following a one-time $9.9 billion legal charge to resolve litigation over teen mental health and social media. Excluding the charge, operating income would have increased 11% to about $22.9 billion, for an adjusted operating margin of about 35%.
That high margin during a heavy AI spending cycle shows how well positioned Meta is to deliver long-term returns to shareholders.
The stock offers solid value relative to growth expectations. At about $650, the stock trades at a forward price-to-earnings (P/E) multiple of 21.5 on 2026 estimates and 18.9 based on next year's.
Long term, analysts expect Meta's earnings to grow about 19% per year. If earnings grow at that pace, they would more than double by 2031. Assuming the stock continues to trade at the same earnings multiple, it could compound at roughly the same rate.
The stock is trading roughly in line with the S&P 500's forward P/E of 19.3. However, Meta may deserve a higher P/E, given its massive user base and its above-average earnings growth prospects.
The main item to watch is heavy AI spending, with $135 billion to $145 billion in capital expenditures planned for 2026, which has weighed on the share price this year. But Meta's strong quarter shows the benefits from its capital spending. The strong adoption of Muse and robust revenue growth make Meta stock a compelling buy heading into the new year.
Contacté par l'AFP pour un commentaire, Meta n'a pas réagi dans l'immédiat.
Norway's main media organizations said Tuesday they had taken legal action to block Meta from enforcing new user terms that they claim threaten their rights to their journalistic content.
According to the 10 media groups, the new terms due to come into force on Nov. 20 would give Meta—which owns Facebook and Instagram—the right to collect their articles, photos and videos, including those behind a paywall, and use them to develop artificial intelligence products, among other things.
"The fear is that the companies will use this power to secure rights over journalistic content," the head of the Norwegian Media Businesses' Association (MBL), Lene Eltvik Vindfeld, said in a statement.
"Meta uses media groups' investments to develop artificial intelligence services that compete with them directly. This is both unacceptable and distorts competition," she added.
According to the plaintiffs, Meta's new terms of use would apply to all professional account holders—media outlets as well as companies and retailers—and would leave them no option to oppose them other than to delete their accounts.
They said they had filed a request with the Oslo District Court for a provisional injunction against the entry into force of the terms of use, pending a ruling on the substance of the case.
The plaintiffs include public broadcaster NRK, media groups Schibsted, Amedia, Polaris and Aller, as well as Norwegian news agency NTB.
Contacted by AFP, Meta said it had delayed the implementation of the new user terms until Nov. 20 "to allow more time for us to explain to our partners and stakeholders what's changing and what's not."
On Oct. 14, MBL and NRK had also threatened to sue Meta, accusing the American giant of profiting from fraudulent advertisements impersonating them in order to defraud internet users.

Tesla ve 3. čtvrtletí snížila výrobní náklady na jedno vozidlo z 37 748 USD na 36 077 USD, což zvýšilo hrubý zisk na dodané vozidlo ze 7 213 USD na 7 864 USD.
Tesla's (TSLA +3.91%) recently reported quarterly results raise as many questions as they answer. While revenue of just over $28 billion topped estimates of $27.9 billion, and earnings of $0.48 per share beat estimates of $0.43, investors apparently balked at the company's 2026 spending outlook.
Not because it was raised, but because it was lowered, from around $25 billion to $20 billion, and will largely be funded from operating cash flow. The market is interpreting that as a sign that Tesla's transition to predominantly an artificial intelligence (AI) technology company isn't happening very quickly. And maybe that's an accurate assessment.
In the meantime, though, Tesla remains first and foremost an electric vehicle (EV) company that's using that business's bottom line as a springboard for its AI-driven robotaxi and robotics ventures. And we're seeing encouraging progress on the electric vehicle front, not so much in terms of volume, but at least in terms of profitability.
When it was needed the most, a small step forward
Whether Tesla's EV business is a meaningfully reliable growth engine has been up for debate since 2022, when Chinese rival BYD Company (BYDDY -0.22%) began getting real traction in China as well as in Europe. Tesla cut prices, which, of course, crimped profits.
There's a glimmer of hope, though. While average selling prices have dropped since the first quarter -- partially reflecting more sales and production of the lower-cost Model 3 -- the latest numbers show that for the second quarter in a row, Tesla's per-car production costs have fallen as well, from $37,748 in Q2 to Q3's $36,077.
This has allowed per-delivery automotive gross profits to bounce back from Q2's plunge to $7,213 to $7,864 in Q3. Gross profits per manufactured vehicle also snapped back by a similar degree, negating any worries that the recovery is merely a matter of the difference between the quarter's delivery figure and its production tally.

Just buying stress-free time
This isn't necessarily thrilling. As the graphic above illustrates, per-car profits are far from soaring.
They're not sinking, though, and that's a win in and of itself following a concerning decline in Q2. This slight recovery confirms there's at least some degree of profitable marketability for Tesla's electric vehicles in an increasingly competitive environment.
More than anything, though, the decrease in EV manufacturing costs says current shareholders who own Tesla stock for its potential on the robotics and robotaxi fronts don't need to worry about a struggling electric vehicle business taking time, attention, and resources away from those efforts. Tesla's EV business can stand on its own, even if its growth is modest.
That being said, don't misunderstand. Tesla is mostly an electric vehicle company now. In just a couple of years, however, it plans to be an AI robotics and robotaxi outfit that also happens to manufacture EVs. That evolution is what this expensive and volatile stock is really pricing in here.
Uber walked away, DoorDash stepped in, and now Instacart shareholders are watching their stock climb while DoorDash investors are bailing out fast, raising a real question about who actually wins in this reported grocery delivery megadeal.
Instacart (NASDAQ:CART | CART Price Prediction) shares have climbed about 18% since the close on Thursday, October 22. Over the same stretch, the company reportedly trying to buy it lost $10.94 a share in a single session.
On Monday, October 26, 2026, DoorDash (NASDAQ:DASH) was reported to be in advanced talks to acquire Instacart for about $17 billion. No agreement has been signed; neither company has confirmed the talks, and a deal is not guaranteed.
Uber (NYSE:UBER) also held talks with Instacart and walked away. That account comes from people familiar with the matter, and Uber has said nothing publicly.
Instacart rose 7.87% to $60.88 on October 26 after reaching a 52-week high of $62.00, then added 0.61% to $61.25 after hours. That followed a 9.21% jump to $56.44 on Friday, October 23, when the sale talks first surfaced.
DoorDash fell 6.1% to $168.44, and Uber slipped 0.85% to $66.13. Our October 24 piece covered how the bidding took shape.
What the Reported Deal Includes The $17 billion is an approximate reported figure. The price per share, the mix of cash and stock, the financing, and any breakup fee have not been disclosed.
Citi analyst Ronald Josey wrote an October 26 note. A $16 billion to $17 billion valuation means about $65 per Instacart share at the midpoint. That is 7% above the October 26 close. Josey kept a Buy rating, but his own $58 price target sits below the current share price. So Instacart holders get little extra for waiting, and the stock could fall a long way if the talks break down.
Why DoorDash Shareholders Sold Before the reports, Instacart was valued at around $13 billion and DoorDash at about $73 billion. The reported price is a clear premium for the target and a large check for the buyer.
DoorDash would gain grocery retailer relationships, an advertising business, grocer software, and the leading online grocery platform. It would also take on slower growth. Instacart’s 2025 revenue rose 11% to $3.74 billion, while DoorDash’s rose 28% to $13.72 billion.
DoorDash is also already busy with earlier deals. It bought Wolt in 2022. It also completed the Deliveroo deal in 2025 and is still building a single global technology platform due in the first half of 2027.
Regulatory Concerns Helped End the 2021 Talks In 2021, DoorDash reportedly discussed buying Instacart for $40 billion to $50 billion, and those talks fell apart partly over regulatory concerns. One brokerage has already warned that a takeover by a major rival would draw regulatory scrutiny.
DoorDash can argue that big-box stores and online retailers have since expanded their own grocery delivery. Reviewers will still examine its online grocery share. They will also assess the overlap in restaurant delivery and courier networks, and Instacart’s partnerships with retailers.
What Instacart Is Worth to Each Side Uber shareholders avoid writing a large check. Uber’s Delivery revenue already grew 28% in the second quarter of 2026, and the segment’s operating income rose 38%. Uber gives up a way to compete with DoorDash in grocery, but its small share price dip suggests the market sees limited harm.
Instacart has been cutting back on side projects. It reportedly plans to wind down Caper, the smart-cart business it bought in October 2021 for $350 million in cash and stock, by the second quarter of 2027.
What the Deal Could Mean for DoorDash Investors DoorDash trades near 74 times earnings because of fast growth, including a 35.6% rise in second-quarter revenue. Paying $17 billion for a slower-growing business would weaken that growth story. The final price and the mix of cash and stock have not been disclosed, and regulatory concerns helped end this deal once before.
By comparison, Uber trades near 13 times earnings, kept its cash and is growing delivery profits on its own.
DoorDash and Uber are expected to report on November 4, and Instacart on November 5. If a signed agreement relies heavily on stock and DoorDash closes below $168.44 after, that would confirm the market’s worry about dilution, while a mostly cash deal with shares holding above that level would ease that concern.

Alphabet pours hundreds of billions into AI while its stock lags the S&P by double digits, and the reasons go deeper than most investors realize.
AI valuations are on the march. Meta (NASDAQ: META | META Price Prediction) has already shot itself in the foot by saying it would need significant funding to be among the AI winners. Its total AI-related spending could run to $635 billion over time. The disclosure was part of Meta’s earnings. The comments came just ahead of Anthropic’s IPO. It was a bad look, which showed a remarkable level of risk. Meta’s shares dropped 7%.
The other megacap stock with a very poor year is Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOG). Its stock is just below flat, while the S&P is up 13%.
What is going on? Not much that is good. Like the other largest tech companies, it is taking a huge cash-flow-positive company and driving it cash-negative as it wraps up AI commitments that have moved into the hundreds of billions of dollars. Its flagship DeepMind project has seen a rotation of leaders and what outsiders characterized as delays. In a sector in which advances are prized, that is not good news. Gemini seemed to be a solid product out of the box. And it was set up so that anyone who had a Google product could use it. That’s a massive footprint of hundreds of millions of people.
But where was the enterprise adoption, which is where the real money is supposed to be? While companies like Anthropic signed up big companies and the federal government (which hasn’t gone so well recently), Google’s big win was a partnership with Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL). More adoption, but to what end? Alphabet gets paid $1 billion a year, which is next to nothing for them.
Stock prices are a pretty good proxy for a business’s success. Google has search, but it is being cannibalized by its own Gemini-driven results. However, search will be a great business for the foreseeable future, but won’t grow like it did in the past. It is nice to own YouTube, Gmail, and Maps, but there is no evidence it is close to AI’s cutting edge.

OpenAI se zavázala nakoupit další služby Azure za 250 miliard USD; Microsoft v prvním fiskálním čtvrtletí očekává růst Azure o přibližně 45 % při konstantních měnových kurzech.
Azure is accelerating, Copilot seats are piling up, and OpenAI just made a commitment that changes the math on Microsoft's cloud business entirely. But one expense line is growing faster than almost anyone expected, and it may decide whether this…
The 24/7 Wall St. price target for Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT | MSFT Price Prediction) is $639.73 over the next 12 months. That implies 22.77% upside from Thursday’s close of $521.08. The stock earns a buy rating with high confidence.
Metric Value Current Price $521.08 Price Target from 24/7 Wall St. $639.73 Upside 22.77% Recommendation BUY Confidence Level 90% Azure is growing 43%, the commercial backlog stands at $678 billion, and Microsoft 365 Copilot has more than 30 million paid seats.
Microsoft makes money from AI in both infrastructure and software. Wall Street generally agrees: there are 14 Strong Buy ratings, 39 Buys, 2 Holds and no Sells.
A Summer Rally Brought Shares Back Toward Their Highs Shares gained 36.82% between July 23 and October 22. They are up 4.1% over the past month and 7.87% year to date, despite a 3.9% drop this past week. The 52-week range runs from $348.54 to $551.15.
In fiscal Q4, revenue of $90.01 billion beat the $87.63 billion estimate. EPS of $4.74 beat the $4.2394 estimate, helped by a $3.20 billion gain on Microsoft’s Anthropic stake. Separately, Microsoft has pushed back against efforts to tokenize its stock as its next earnings report nears.
Why Bulls See $742 Within Reach Management guided fiscal Q1 Azure growth to about 45% in constant currency. On the last call, the CFO said “Customer demand continues to exceed available capacity.”
Microsoft’s Maia 200 chip delivers 30% better performance per dollar, and OpenAI has committed to buy an additional $250 billion of Azure services. The consensus target is $601.73. The bull case reaches $742.05, a 42.41% return.
Oppenheimer raised the firm’s price target on Microsoft to $625 from $570 and keeps an Outperform rating on the shares ahead of Q1 results while Truist analyst Terry Tillman raised the firm’s price target to $600 from $575 and keeps a Buy rating.
Capex Is the Risk Worth Watching Capex for fiscal 2026 rose 79.62% to $115.948 billion. Free cash flow fell 6.46% for the year, and Xbox revenue fell 10% last quarter. There is a catch.
Operating cash flow rose 34.35%, and about two-thirds of capex goes to short-lived chips that Microsoft can slow down if demand weakens. In our bear case, shares reach $541.92, still a 4% gain.
Microsoft vs. Alphabet and Amazon In AI cloud spending, Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL) competes directly. Google Cloud grew 82%, and Alphabet trades at a P/E of 14. That multiple is low partly because earnings included a $99.03 billion equity gain. Alphabet’s quarterly free cash flow was also negative.
The company behind AWS, Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), runs Azure’s closest rival, which grew 37%. Amazon’s P/E is higher at 35, and its trailing-12-month free cash flow is -$7.6 billion.
Company P/E Cloud Growth Microsoft 29 43% Alphabet 14 82% Amazon 35 37% Microsoft sits in the middle on valuation, and it is the only one of the three still producing positive free cash flow. That makes our 24/7 Wall St. price target look reasonable.
Microsoft Earns Its BUY Rating A buy rating and high confidence go with the 24/7 Wall St. price target of $639.73. Microsoft funds its AI buildout from its own cash flow, which tips the scale.
The case gets stronger if Azure hits its 45% guidance and Copilot seat growth keeps accelerating. I’d turn cautious if capex grows faster than Azure revenue for several quarters.
Year Price Target from 24/7 Wall St. 2026 $543.61 2027 $639.73 2028 $717.84 2029 $805.49 2030 $903.84 The 2028 and 2029 figures are estimated along our base-case path. Microsoft is assumed to keep executing on its current strategy.
Large swings either way could come from Copilot pricing or from the returns on its AI capex. That capex also lands in the hands of the power, cooling, and networking suppliers behind every data center, and we covered seven of them in a free AI infrastructure report.

TradingShot očekává, že by MSFT při zopakování historického technického vzorce mohl do začátku září 2031 dosáhnout 1 700 USD, což by představovalo růst z 532 USD o 219 %.
Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) could climb to $1,700 by early September 2031 if its current artificial intelligence (AI) bull cycle repeats the pattern that preceded the Dot-com bubble peak.
In an October 26 TradingView post, analyst TradingShot argued that MSFT could enter the second phase of its rally after holding support at its 50-month moving average (MA).
The analysis compares the stock’s current 18-month sideways trading range with the accumulation phase of the 1990s internet boom, when Microsoft similarly consolidated around its long-term moving average before advancing toward its Dot-com peak.
The comparison comes with a warning where MSFT’s monthly Relative Strength Index (RSI) has formed lower highs, suggesting weakening momentum despite the stock holding support.
A sustained break below the MA50 would weaken the historical comparison and undermine the projected second phase of the AI bull cycle.
At the current price of $532, MSFT would need to gain approximately 219% to reach $1,700, more than tripling its share price over nearly five years.
TradingShot’s projection uses Fibonacci retracement levels of 0.236 and 0.382 to compare the two cycles, with the MA50 serving as the key support indicator.
However, the outlook does not establish that the historical pattern will repeat. The $1,700 target is a long-term technical projection, not a consensus analyst price target or company forecast.
MSFT stock fundamentals Reaching it would depend on Microsoft maintaining support, translating AI investments into revenue and earnings growth, and navigating valuation and broader market risks.
Microsoft’s financial performance supports the long-term bullish case, although it does not validate the bullish price target.
For the fiscal fourth quarter ended June 30, 2026, Microsoft reported revenue of $90 billion, up 18% year over year, and net income of $35.8 billion, up 31%.
Microsoft Cloud revenue rose 27% to $59.3 billion, while Azure and other cloud services revenue grew 43%. Commercial remaining performance obligations reached $678 billion, reflecting contracted future revenue.
These results highlight demand for Microsoft’s cloud and AI services, and the next test comes with its fiscal first-quarter 2027 reporting, scheduled for October 28, with investors watching Azure growth, AI adoption, capital expenditure, and guidance. Analysts expect revenue of approximately $90.6 billion and adjusted earnings of $4.71 per share.
MSFT stock risks However, Microsoft’s heavy AI investment could complicate its path toward $1,700. Fiscal 2026 capital expenditure, including capital leases, reached approximately $145.3 billion.
At the same time, reports indicate that Microsoft was offering voluntary buyouts to eligible employees as it sought to control costs while funding its AI expansion.
Investors are increasingly assessing whether AI revenue will justify the cost of building and operating the necessary infrastructure.
Continued Azure growth and enterprise adoption could support MSFT, while slower growth, margin pressure or disappointing investment returns could weigh on the stock.
NVIDIA's Vera CPU is already shipping to hyperscalers and management expects CPU revenue to more than double, putting AMD and Intel on defense in a market they once owned. Whether that threat translates into stock upside depends on a valuation…
CPUs have become a real business for NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA | NVDA Price Prediction). The Grace CPU’s trailing 12-month revenue exceeded $5 billion, management says, and its next CPU, Vera, is in full production.
They also expect CPU revenue to “more than double in fiscal 28”. That growth comes in server and PC markets that Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD) and Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) have long controlled.
NVIDIA’s 24/7 Wall St. price target is $260.60. That is 19.91% above the current $217.33. Our model rates the stock a buy and has high confidence in that call.

Shares Slip Even as Vera Ramps
NVIDIA shares fell 4.09% over the past week and 2.34% over the past month. They are still up 16.66% year to date. Over the past 52 weeks the stock has traded between $163.90 and $243.37. Barron’s reported today that even rumors of a large Chinese chip purchase failed to lift the stock.
The decline came after a strong quarter. Q2 fiscal 2027 revenue reached $96.221 billion, beating the $92.07 billion estimate. EPS came in at $2.22 against expectations of $2.0887. Data Center revenue rose 117%. For Q3, management guided to revenue of $108 billion, plus or minus 2%.
Why Bulls See $271 or More
In our bull case, NVIDIA reaches $271.47 within a year. Vera is the reason the CPU angle matters. NVIDIA says the chip runs 1.8x faster on a key benchmark and provides five times the bandwidth per watt of any other data center CPU. Shipments are already underway to OCI, SpaceX AI and AWS.
Management also cited demand for about $20 billion in total server CPUs. NVIDIA says it makes about $40 billion per gigawatt on Vera Rubin, up from $25 billion on Blackwell.
Wall Street generally agrees with the bulls: 59 analysts rate the stock Buy or Strong Buy, and only one rates it Sell.
What Could Go Wrong With Supply and Margins
The bear case works out to $226.67. Supply commitments rose to $279 billion. Days sales outstanding extended to 60 days from 45. Q4 gross margin guidance comes in at 71% to 72%, and the Q3 outlook excludes Data Center compute revenue from China.
The counterpoint is that most of those commitments are memory purchases for Vera Rubin, and they reflect excess demand. Jensen Huang said NVIDIA has “supply for 70%” of what customers want.
How NVIDIA Compares to AMD and Intel
AMD competes with NVIDIA on both CPUs and AI accelerators. AMD’s Data Center revenue grew 107% last quarter, close to NVIDIA’s growth rate. Yet AMD’s trailing P/E is near 203, while NVIDIA’s is near 27.
Intel is both a rival and a partner. NVIDIA bought $5 billion of Intel stock, and Xeon 6 is the host CPU in NVIDIA’s DGX Rubin NVL8 systems. Intel’s gross margin is 34.8% and its trailing earnings are negative. Compared with both peers, our target looks conservative.

Our Verdict: CPU Gains Strengthen the Upside
A buy rating and high confidence come with the 24/7 Wall St. price target of $260.60.
The deciding factor is valuation: NVIDIA’s multiple is lower than its slower CPU rivals’ while it wins share from them. I’d view the stock positively if Vera deployments expand across hyperscalers. I’d grow cautious if gross margins slip below guidance or supply shortages last beyond fiscal 2028.

The projections rest on NVIDIA continuing its current strategy. Faster CPU adoption could lift the numbers.
China restrictions or custom chips built by hyperscalers could pull them lower. The same expansion is also lifting a quieter group of suppliers behind the data centers, which we rounded up in a free report on seven AI infrastructure names that aren’t chipmakers.

American Airlines od 24. ledna zvýší roční poplatek za karty Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select a Citi AAdvantage Business Mastercard z 99 USD na 150 USD.
American Airlines is raising the annual fee for two of its rewards credit cards for the first time since 2018 and adding new benefits like a TSA PreCheck credit and points from spending on hotels.
The fee on the Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite Mastercard will go up to $150 a year from $99. That is the first increase since 2018, when it raised the fee from $95 to $99, a spokeswoman said.
The Citi AAdvantage Business Mastercard will also have a fee increase and will now cost $150 a year.
Airlines and their bank partners have been steadily raising fees on rewards credit cards.
Those cards generate billions of dollars a year for airlines, which make money when miles are sold to banks, which then give them to customers. American's move, announced Tuesday, follows similar increases by rivals such as United Airlines.
Meanwhile, American Express last year raised the fee on its popular Platinum card, which comes with airport lounge access, to $895 a year from $695. JPMorgan Chase increased the annual fee on its competing card, the Sapphire Reserve, to $795 from $550.
The new perks for the American card include 3X AAdvantage miles earnings on hotels booked through American's portal, a credit of up to $120 every four years for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck, and a $100 annual statement credit on in-flight purchases like food.
The new fees take effect Jan. 24.

AT&T (T - Free Report) is one of the stocks most watched by Zacks.com visitors lately. So, it might be a good idea to review some of the factors that might affect the near-term performance of the stock.
Shares of this telecommunications company have returned -16.3% over the past month versus the Zacks S&P 500 composite's -0.8% change. The Zacks Wireless National industry, to which AT&T belongs, has lost 3% over this period. Now the key question is: Where could the stock be headed in the near term?
Although media reports or rumors about a significant change in a company's business prospects usually cause its stock to trend and lead to an immediate price change, there are always certain fundamental factors that ultimately drive the buy-and-hold decision.
Earnings Estimate RevisionsRather than focusing on anything else, we at Zacks prioritize evaluating the change in a company's earnings projection. This is because we believe the fair value for its stock is determined by the present value of its future stream of earnings.
Our analysis is essentially based on how sell-side analysts covering the stock are revising their earnings estimates to take the latest business trends into account. When earnings estimates for a company go up, the fair value for its stock goes up as well. And when a stock's fair value is higher than its current market price, investors tend to buy the stock, resulting in its price moving upward. Because of this, empirical studies indicate a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and short-term stock price movements.
For the current quarter, AT&T is expected to post earnings of $0.53 per share, indicating a change of +1.9% from the year-ago quarter. The Zacks Consensus Estimate has changed +4.8% over the last 30 days.
For the current fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $2.38 points to a change of +12.3% from the prior year. Over the last 30 days, this estimate has changed +2.5%.
For the next fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $2.56 indicates a change of +7.4% from what AT&T is expected to report a year ago. Over the past month, the estimate has changed +0.5%.
Having a strong externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool, the Zacks Rank, offers a more conclusive picture of a stock's price direction in the near term, since it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions. Due to the size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, AT&T is rated Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).
The chart below shows the evolution of the company's forward 12-month consensus EPS estimate:
12 Month EPS
Projected Revenue GrowthEven though a company's earnings growth is arguably the best indicator of its financial health, nothing much happens if it cannot raise its revenues. It's almost impossible for a company to grow its earnings without growing its revenue for long periods. Therefore, knowing a company's potential revenue growth is crucial.
In the case of AT&T, the consensus sales estimate of $34.34 billion for the current quarter points to a year-over-year change of +2.6%. The $129.69 billion and $130.28 billion estimates for the current and next fiscal years indicate changes of +3.2% and +0.5%, respectively.
Last Reported Results and Surprise HistoryAT&T reported revenues of $32.32 billion in the last reported quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +5.3%. EPS of $0.65 for the same period compares with $0.54 a year ago.
Compared to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $31.68 billion, the reported revenues represent a surprise of +2.02%. The EPS surprise was +6.56%.
The company beat consensus EPS estimates in each of the trailing four quarters. The company topped consensus revenue estimates three times over this period.
ValuationNo investment decision can be efficient without considering a stock's valuation. Whether a stock's current price rightly reflects the intrinsic value of the underlying business and the company's growth prospects is an essential determinant of its future price performance.
While comparing the current values of a company's valuation multiples, such as price-to-earnings (P/E), price-to-sales (P/S), and price-to-cash flow (P/CF), with its own historical values helps determine whether its stock is fairly valued, overvalued, or undervalued, comparing the company relative to its peers on these parameters gives a good sense of the reasonability of the stock's price.
As part of the Zacks Style Scores system, the Zacks Value Style Score (which evaluates both traditional and unconventional valuation metrics) organizes stocks into five groups ranging from A to F (A is better than B; B is better than C; and so on), making it helpful in identifying whether a stock is overvalued, rightly valued, or temporarily undervalued.
AT&T is graded A on this front, indicating that it is trading at a discount to its peers. Click here to see the values of some of the valuation metrics that have driven this grade.
ConclusionThe facts discussed here and much other information on Zacks.com might help determine whether or not it's worthwhile paying attention to the market buzz about AT&T. However, its Zacks Rank #3 does suggest that it may perform in line with the broader market in the near term.

Procter & Gamble (PG - Free Report) has recently been on Zacks.com's list of the most searched stocks. Therefore, you might want to consider some of the key factors that could influence the stock's performance in the near future.
Shares of this world's largest consumer products maker have returned +7.3% over the past month versus the Zacks S&P 500 composite's -0.8% change. The Zacks Consumer Products - Staples industry, to which P&G belongs, has gained 8.2% over this period. Now the key question is: Where could the stock be headed in the near term?
While media releases or rumors about a substantial change in a company's business prospects usually make its stock 'trending' and lead to an immediate price change, there are always some fundamental facts that eventually dominate the buy-and-hold decision-making.
Revisions to Earnings EstimatesHere at Zacks, we prioritize appraising the change in the projection of a company's future earnings over anything else. That's because we believe the present value of its future stream of earnings is what determines the fair value for its stock.
We essentially look at how sell-side analysts covering the stock are revising their earnings estimates to reflect the impact of the latest business trends. And if earnings estimates go up for a company, the fair value for its stock goes up. A higher fair value than the current market price drives investors' interest in buying the stock, leading to its price moving higher. This is why empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements.
P&G is expected to post earnings of $1.83 per share for the current quarter, representing a year-over-year change of -2.7%. Over the last 30 days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate has changed -2.4%.
For the current fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $6.98 points to a change of +1.3% from the prior year. Over the last 30 days, this estimate has changed -0.1%.
For the next fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $7.41 indicates a change of +6.2% from what P&G is expected to report a year ago. Over the past month, the estimate has changed -0.1%.
With an impressive externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool -- the Zacks Rank -- is a more conclusive indicator of a stock's near-term price performance, as it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions. The size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, has resulted in a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) for P&G.

Projected Revenue GrowthWhile earnings growth is arguably the most superior indicator of a company's financial health, nothing happens as such if a business isn't able to grow its revenues. After all, it's nearly impossible for a company to increase its earnings for an extended period without increasing its revenues. So, it's important to know a company's potential revenue growth.
For P&G, the consensus sales estimate for the current quarter of $22.74 billion indicates a year-over-year change of +2.4%. For the current and next fiscal years, $90.03 billion and $91.77 billion estimates indicate +3.4% and +1.9% changes, respectively.
Last Reported Results and Surprise HistoryP&G reported revenues of $23.28 billion in the last reported quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +4%. EPS of $2 for the same period compares with $1.99 a year ago.
Compared to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $22.71 billion, the reported revenues represent a surprise of +2.51%. The EPS surprise was +5.82%.
The company beat consensus EPS estimates in each of the trailing four quarters. The company topped consensus revenue estimates two times over this period.
ValuationWithout considering a stock's valuation, no investment decision can be efficient. In predicting a stock's future price performance, it's crucial to determine whether its current price correctly reflects the intrinsic value of the underlying business and the company's growth prospects.
P&G is graded D on this front, indicating that it is trading at a premium to its peers. Click here to see the values of some of the valuation metrics that have driven this grade.
ConclusionThe facts discussed here and much other information on Zacks.com might help determine whether or not it's worthwhile paying attention to the market buzz about P&G. However, its Zacks Rank #3 does suggest that it may perform in line with the broader market in the near term.

Revisions to Earnings EstimatesRather than focusing on anything else, we at Zacks prioritize evaluating the change in a company's earnings projection.

Key Takeaways Ford adds a factory-built Mustang Mach-E SSV with an extended-range battery and law enforcement features. The 2027 Ranger gains Bronze Appearance Packages, with revised styling.Mustang updates include security features and a Dark Horse SC convertible with 795 hp and 660 lb-ft of torque.
Ford (F - Free Report) is introducing several updates across its 2027 vehicle lineup, including a factory-built Mustang Mach-E Special Service Vehicle (SSV), new appearance packages and equipment changes for the Ranger and feature adjustments for the Mustang. These changes could help Ford broaden the applications of its vehicles, enhance customization options and refine its product offerings across different customer segments.
Distinct Upgrades Expand Ford’s Vehicle Appeal and UtilityThe 2027 Mustang Mach-E SSV will be based on the Select trim but will include a 91-kWh extended-range battery, dual-motor all-wheel drive, Brembo front brakes and several features from the GT trim. Designed for law enforcement use, the factory-built variant adds specialized exterior styling, 20-inch aluminum wheels, a 360-degree camera, front parking aid and reverse brake assist. Offering a dedicated factory configuration could help Ford tap into law enforcement demand while expanding the commercial applications of its electric vehicle lineup.
The 2027 Ranger will gain Bronze Appearance Package options for the XLT and Lariat trims, offering bronze-painted 18-inch aluminum wheels. The XLT will also receive revised exterior styling and aluminum wheels, while the 12-inch infotainment display will become standard across the lineup, replacing the 10-inch unit previously offered on the XL and XLT. These changes could strengthen the Ranger's appeal by providing additional styling choices and improved standard equipment, potentially supporting its competitiveness in the midsize pickup segment.
The 2027 Mustang lineup will replace rain-sensing wipers with intermittent variable wipers. However, the Ford Security Package will become standard, including one year of service, with an optional seven-year purchase available. The lineup will also add a convertible version of the Dark Horse SC, featuring a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 producing 795 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque. The new convertible could attract performance-oriented buyers seeking an open-top driving experience, while the standard security package adds another feature to the ownership proposition.
Overall, these updates could support Ford's efforts to broaden customer appeal, differentiate its vehicles and expand the potential applications of its existing models. However, how much these changes translate into higher sales and improved profitability will depend on customer uptake, pricing and costs.

Ford announced two new EV chargers today that will allow its forthcoming Fathom pickup truck to serve as a battery capable of delivering power to the home or grid.
The new chargers promise to be about half the cost of Ford’s existing equivalent products, which could make the technology available to more households. Ford said the Fathom itself will start at $28,350.
The Fathom will be capable of delivering “over 10 kW” to a home, Ford said. That would allow the electric vehicle to substitute for a small standby generator. For most U.S. homes, it wouldn’t be enough to power everything, but it could keep a refrigerator and air conditioner operational for about half a day.
Such capability has been touted as an advantage EVs have over fossil fuel vehicles, but not many EVs come properly equipped, and the chargers required to make use of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) services tend to be costly.
Ford’s two devices offer similar but differing capabilities.
The Home Power Station device can help customers shave their utility bill by charging the Fathom when power prices are low and sending electricity back to the home when prices are high. The automaker says it will cost around $650, about 50% less than its first-generation bidirectional charger.
The other option, Home Backup Power, is a package that bundles the Home Power Station with a second device, the Home Backup Panel, to allow the Fathom to also power parts or all of a home when the power goes out. Ford says the package will cost around $2,100, about 60% less than its first-generation product.
None of those prices include installation, which for existing V2X chargers can run up to $10,000, depending on how much electrical work needs to be done to prepare the home. Ford did not announce any partnerships with installers, though a spokesperson told TechCrunch that Ford would release more details at a later date.
Which loads the Fathom can power will vary by household and the specifics of each installation. Things like air conditioners and refrigerators, for example, typically require a large surge of power to start up, after which point their load drops. So-called soft-start devices can help mitigate the surge, though they add cost to the installation.
Both chargers will allow Fathom customers to participate in virtual power plants (VPPs), which use software to control a fleet of distributed energy storage devices, such as EVs.
As strain on the grid grows due to AI data centers, utilities have been exploring whether VPPs can help alleviate congestion at the edges.
Fathom owners who enroll and keep their truck plugged in can sell electricity back to the grid, often at a premium. Ford did not say how much Fathom owners can stand to make, but the payouts can be upwards of $1,000 per year, depending on the grid’s needs and the level of participation.
Automakers, including Ford, have been diving deep into energy storage as demand for such services surges. The Fathom-powered VPP is Ford’s latest foray into the market, but it’s unlikely to be its last.

Ford ve 3. čtvrtletí prodal 27 793 pickupů Maverick Hybrid, což představuje meziroční nárůst o 59,6 %; hybridy tvořily zhruba dvě třetiny prodejů modelu Maverick.
If you only glanced at Ford Motor Company's (F +1.25%) third-quarter U.S. sales results, you might have walked away a tad disappointed. After all, the Detroit automaker reported a 6.6% decline in U.S. vehicle sales, which remains Ford's profit engine.
However, buried beneath that headline was one vehicle putting up numbers that deserve a second look from investors: the Maverick Hybrid. And its success could tell us something important about what American consumers actually want.
A little truck making big moves
Ford sold 27,793 Maverick Hybrid pickups during the third quarter, a whopping 59.6% increase compared to the prior year. That was a third-quarter record, and it helped push the hybrid pickup's sales to a record 74,300 vehicles through September.
Ford's Maverick. Image source: Ford Motor Company.
Here's where things get a little interesting. Ford sold 41,970 Mavericks overall during the quarter, meaning the hybrid accounted for roughly two-thirds of the nameplate's sales. That's impressive for a vehicle offering customers an alternative to the traditional gasoline-powered pickup.
It's also worth putting Ford's broader sales decline into context. Management attributed much of the weakness to its planned phaseout of the Escape and Lincoln Corsair. Excluding those vehicles, Ford estimated its overall sales volume was essentially flat compared to the prior year. In other words, the headline decline doesn't tell the entire story.
Here's where the Maverick hybrid's success becomes particularly intriguing. Investors might assume hybrid vehicles are less profitable than their gasoline counterparts because of the additional costs of batteries and electric motors. But Ford CEO Jim Farley has previously stated that many of the company's hybrids are actually more profitable than their gasoline equivalents.
In fact, Farley has specifically pointed to the F-150 Hybrid as delivering higher margins than its traditional gasoline counterpart -- which is really a bit surprising. Now, that doesn't necessarily mean the Maverick Hybrid enjoys the same advantage. Ford doesn't give us that level of transparency, and investors shouldn't assume its lower-priced pickup generates similar margins.
But consider the possibility. If the Maverick Hybrid is among Ford's more profitable hybrid offerings, its rapidly growing sales could do more than increase revenue. It could also improve the profitability of Ford's Maverick lineup, especially given that hybrid sales in the U.S. are thriving while adoption of full EVs remains slower than originally anticipated. That's a much more compelling development than a simple sales record.

What it all means
For long-term Ford investors, the Maverick Hybrid's sales surge is an encouraging sign that the company understands an important segment of the market. It's not going to transform Ford's financial results overnight, and investors should still pay close attention to profitability and margins as the company tries to counter the long-standing "low-margin industry" narrative.
But sometimes the most revealing automotive trends aren't found in the biggest vehicles or the flashiest technology. Sometimes they're hiding in a smaller hybrid pickup that's quietly winning over customers, and if it makes better margins while it's at it, that's a big win.
