|
Original source text
Key Takeaways EIX's Q3 earnings outlook reflects grid investments and rate-base growth amid declining estimates.EIX's Q3 EPS estimate stands at $1.79, down 23.5%, revenues are projected to decline 3.8% to $5.53 billion.Grid modernization, wildfire mitigation and rising electricity demand may support EIX's results.Edison International (EIX - Free Report) is scheduled to release third-quarter 2026 results on Oct. 29, after market close. The company delivered an earnings surprise of 50.98% in the last reported quarter. Let’s discuss the factors that are likely to be reflected in the upcoming quarterly results. Factors That Are Likely to Have Impacted EIX’s Q3 PerformanceEdison International’s continued investments in grid modernization, wildfire mitigation and infrastructure enhancements are likely to have supported its third-quarter performance. Continued spending on system hardening and grid upgrades is expected to have improved operational reliability and reinforced the company’s long-term growth prospects. Higher revenue expectations, driven by the ongoing implementation of Southern California Edison’s approved General Rate Case, are likely to have supported earnings growth in the to-be-reported quarter. Rising electricity demand from electrification and continued rate-base growth may have aided Edison International’s revenues and overall performance during the third quarter. Continued cost-management efforts and operational efficiency improvements are expected to have helped strengthen Edison International’s earnings performance in the third quarter. Q3 Expectations for EIXThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for sales is pegged at $5.53 billion, which indicates a decline of 3.8% from the year-ago number. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings is pegged at $1.79 per share, which calls for a fall of 23.5% from the prior-year quarter. What the Zacks Model Unveils for EIXOur proven model predicts an earnings beat for Edison International this time. The combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold) increases the odds of an earnings beat, which is the case here, as you will see below. Other Stocks to ConsiderInvestors may consider the following players from the same industry, as these also have the right combination of elements to post an earnings beat this reporting cycle. CenterPoint Energy, Inc. (CNP - Free Report) is scheduled to report its third-quarter 2026 results on Oct. 27, before market open. It has an Earnings ESP of +0.81% and a Zacks Rank of 3 at present. CNP’s long-term (three to five years) earnings growth rate is 7.93%. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings stands at 50 cents per share. NiSource Inc. (NI - Free Report) is slated to report its third-quarter 2026 results on Oct. 28, before market open. It has an Earnings ESP of +7.87% and a Zacks Rank of 3 at present. NI’s long-term earnings growth rate is 6.55%. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings is pegged at 22 cents per share, which suggests a year-over-year rise of 15.8%. American Electric Power Company, Inc. (AEP - Free Report) is slated to report its third-quarter 2026 results on Oct. 28, before market open. It has an Earnings ESP of +2.23% and a Zacks Rank of 2 at present. AEP’s long-term earnings growth rate is 7.58%. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings stands at $2.04 per share, which implies a year-over-year jump of 13.3%. |

NEW YORK, Oct. 26, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --WHY: Rosen Law Firm, a global investor rights law firm, reminds purchasers of securities of Celsius Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: CELH) between February 21, 2025 and June 3, 2026, both dates inclusive (the “Class Period”), of the important November 3, 2026 lead plaintiff deadline. SO WHAT: If you purchased Celsius securities during the Class Period you may be entitled to compensation without payment of any out of pocket fees or costs through a contingency fee arrangement. WHAT TO DO NEXT: To join the Celsius class action, go to https://rosenlegal.com/cases/celsius-holdings-inc-2/join or call Phillip Kim, Esq. toll-free at 866-767-3653 or email [email protected] for information on the class action. A class action lawsuit has already been filed. If you wish to serve as lead plaintiff, you must move the Court no later than November 3, 2026. A lead plaintiff is a representative party acting on behalf of other class members in directing the litigation. WHY ROSEN LAW: We encourage investors to select qualified counsel with a track record of success in leadership roles. Often, firms issuing notices do not have comparable experience, resources, or any meaningful peer recognition. Many of these firms do not actually handle securities class actions, but are merely middlemen that refer clients or partner with law firms that actually litigate the cases. Be wise in selecting counsel. The Rosen Law Firm represents investors throughout the globe, concentrating its practice in securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation. Rosen Law Firm has achieved the largest ever securities class action settlement against a Chinese Company. Rosen Law Firm was Ranked No. 1 by ISS Securities Class Action Services for number of securities class action settlements in 2017. The firm has been ranked in the top 4 each year since 2013 and has recovered billions of dollars for investors. In 2019 alone the firm secured over $438 million for investors. In 2020, founding partner Laurence Rosen was named by law360 as a Titan of Plaintiffs’ Bar. Many of the firm’s attorneys have been recognized by Lawdragon and Super Lawyers. DETAILS OF THE CASE: According to the lawsuit, throughout the Class Period, defendants made materially false and misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) defendants’ products failed to adequately disclose the cardiac risks of consuming Alani Nutrition LLC (“Alani Nu”) products; (2) by marketing Alani Nu drinks to consumers under the age of 18, Celsius was marketing its products to individuals who were particularly susceptible to known health risks posed by those products; (3) the foregoing created a non-speculative risk that Alani Nu consumers would suffer potentially fatal adverse health events; (4) the foregoing, once revealed, was likely to have a significant negative impact on Celsius’ business and reputation; and (5) as a result, defendants’ public statements were materially false and misleading at all relevant times. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages. To join the Celsius class action, go to https://rosenlegal.com/cases/celsius-holdings-inc-2/join or call Phillip Kim, Esq. toll-free at 866-767-3653 or email [email protected] for information on the class action. No Class Has Been Certified. Until a class is certified, you are not represented by counsel unless you retain one. You may select counsel of your choice. You may also remain an absent class member and do nothing at this point. An investor’s ability to share in any potential future recovery is not dependent upon serving as lead plaintiff. Wall Street Analysts Think IonQ (IONQ) Is a Good Investment: Is It? | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
When deciding whether to buy, sell, or hold a stock, investors often rely on analyst recommendations. Media reports about rating changes by these brokerage-firm-employed (or sell-side) analysts often influence a stock's price, but are they really important? Before we discuss the reliability of brokerage recommendations and how to use them to your advantage, let's see what these Wall Street heavyweights think about IonQ, Inc. (IONQ - Free Report) . IonQ currently has an average brokerage recommendation (ABR) of 1.50, on a scale of 1 to 5 (Strong Buy to Strong Sell), calculated based on the actual recommendations (Buy, Hold, Sell, etc.) made by 14 brokerage firms. An ABR of 1.50 approximates between Strong Buy and Buy. Of the 14 recommendations that derive the current ABR, 10 are Strong Buy and one is Buy. Strong Buy and Buy respectively account for 71.4% and 7.1% of all recommendations. Brokerage Recommendation Trends for IONQ Check price target & stock forecast for IonQ here>>> While the ABR calls for buying IonQ, it may not be wise to make an investment decision solely based on this information. Several studies have shown limited to no success of brokerage recommendations in guiding investors to pick stocks with the best price increase potential. Do you wonder why? As a result of the vested interest of brokerage firms in a stock they cover, their analysts tend to rate it with a strong positive bias. According to our research, brokerage firms assign five "Strong Buy" recommendations for every "Strong Sell" recommendation. This means that the interests of these institutions are not always aligned with those of retail investors, giving little insight into the direction of a stock's future price movement. It would therefore be best to use this information to validate your own analysis or a tool that has proven to be highly effective at predicting stock price movements. Zacks Rank, our proprietary stock rating tool with an impressive externally audited track record, categorizes stocks into five groups, ranging from Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) to Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell), and is an effective indicator of a stock's price performance in the near future. Therefore, using the ABR to validate the Zacks Rank could be an efficient way of making a profitable investment decision. Zacks Rank Should Not Be Confused With ABRAlthough both Zacks Rank and ABR are displayed in a range of 1--5, they are different measures altogether. Broker recommendations are the sole basis for calculating the ABR, which is typically displayed in decimals (such as 1.28). The Zacks Rank, on the other hand, is a quantitative model designed to harness the power of earnings estimate revisions. It is displayed in whole numbers -- 1 to 5. It has been and continues to be the case that analysts employed by brokerage firms are overly optimistic with their recommendations. Because of their employers' vested interests, these analysts issue more favorable ratings than their research would support, misguiding investors far more often than helping them. In contrast, the Zacks Rank is driven by earnings estimate revisions. And near-term stock price movements are strongly correlated with trends in earnings estimate revisions, according to empirical research. Furthermore, the different grades of the Zacks Rank are applied proportionately across all stocks for which brokerage analysts provide earnings estimates for the current year. In other words, at all times, this tool maintains a balance among the five ranks it assigns. There is also a key difference between the ABR and Zacks Rank when it comes to freshness. When you look at the ABR, it may not be up-to-date. Nonetheless, since brokerage analysts constantly revise their earnings estimates to reflect changing business trends, and their actions get reflected in the Zacks Rank quickly enough, it is always timely in predicting future stock prices. Should You Invest in IONQ?In terms of earnings estimate revisions for IonQ, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current year has declined 40.3% over the past month to -$1.26. Analysts' growing pessimism over the company's earnings prospects, as indicated by strong agreement among them in revising EPS estimates lower, could be a legitimate reason for the stock to plunge in the near term. The size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, has resulted in a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell) for IonQ. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>> Therefore, it could be wise to take the Buy-equivalent ABR for IonQ with a grain of salt. |

Why Investors Need to Take Advantage of These 2 Medical Stocks Now | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
Quarterly financial reports play a vital role on Wall Street, as they help investors see how a company has performed and what might be coming down the road in the near-term. And out of all of the metrics and results to consider, earnings is one of the most important.Life and the stock market are both about expectations, and rising above what is expected is often rewarded, while falling short can come with negative consequences. Investors might want to try to capture stronger returns by finding positive earnings surprises. Now that we know how important earnings and earnings surprises are, it's time to show investors how to take advantage of these events to boost their returns by utilizing the Zacks Earnings ESP filter. The Zacks Earnings ESP, ExplainedThe Zacks Earnings ESP is more formally known as the Expected Surprise Prediction, and it aims to grab the inside track on the latest analyst estimate revisions ahead of a company's report. The idea is relatively intuitive as a newer projection might be based on more complete information. Now that we understand the basic idea, let's look at how the Expected Surprise Prediction works. The ESP is calculated by comparing the Most Accurate Estimate to the Zacks Consensus Estimate, with the percentage difference between the two giving us the Zacks ESP figure. Bringing together a positive earnings ESP alongside a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) or better has helped stocks report a positive earnings surprise 70% of the time. Furthermore, by using these parameters, investors have seen 28.3% annual returns on average, according to our 10 year backtest. Most stocks, about 60%, fall into the #3 (Hold) category, and they are expected to perform in-line with the broader market. Stocks with a #2 (Buy) and #1 (Strong Buy) rating, or the top 15% and top 5% of stocks, respectively, should outperform the market, with Strong Buy stocks outperforming more than any other rank. Should You Consider HCA Healthcare? The final step today is to look at a stock that meets our ESP qualifications. HCA Healthcare (HCA - Free Report) earns a #3 (Hold) one day from its next quarterly earnings release on October 27, 2026, and its Most Accurate Estimate comes in at $6.77 a share. HCA has an Earnings ESP figure of +0.37%, which, as explained above, is calculated by taking the percentage difference between the $6.77 Most Accurate Estimate and the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $6.74. HCA Healthcare is one of a large database of stocks with positive ESPs. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported. HCA is just one of a large group of Medical stocks with a positive ESP figure. ResMed (RMD - Free Report) is another qualifying stock you may want to consider. ResMed is a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) stock, and is getting ready to report earnings on October 29, 2026. RMD's Most Accurate Estimate sits at $2.68 a share three days from its next earnings release. For ResMed, the percentage difference between its Most Accurate Estimate and its Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.67 is +0.11%. Because both stocks hold a positive Earnings ESP, HCA and RMD could potentially post earnings beats in their next reports. Find Stocks to Buy or Sell Before They're ReportedUse the Zacks Earnings ESP Filter to turn up stocks with the highest probability of positively, or negatively, surprising to buy or sell before they're reported for profitable earnings season trading. Bank of Hawaii, which belongs to the Zacks Banks - West industry, posted revenues of $200.11 million for the quarter ended September 2026, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 1.51%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $182.64 million. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates just once over the last four quarters. The sustainability of the stock's immediate price movement based on the recently-released numbers and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's commentary on the earnings call. Bank of Hawaii shares have added about 3.3% since the beginning of the year versus the S&P 500's gain of 11.4%. What's Next for Bank of Hawaii? While Bank of Hawaii has underperformed the market so far this year, the question that comes to investors' minds is: what's next for the stock? There are no easy answers to this key question, but one reliable measure that can help investors address this is the company's earnings outlook. Not only does this include current consensus earnings expectations for the coming quarter(s), but also how these expectations have changed lately. Empirical research shows a strong correlation between near-term stock movements and trends in earnings estimate revisions. Investors can track such revisions by themselves or rely on a tried-and-tested rating tool like the Zacks Rank, which has an impressive track record of harnessing the power of earnings estimate revisions. Ahead of this earnings release, the estimate revisions trend for Bank of Hawaii was mixed. While the magnitude and direction of estimate revisions could change following the company's just-released earnings report, the current status translates into a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) for the stock. So, the shares are expected to perform in line with the market in the near future. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here. Cybersecurity ETFs in Spotlight as AI's Black October Unfolds | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
Key Takeaways AI-driven vulnerabilities are accelerating cyber threats, boosting attention on cybersecurity firms.Cybersecurity ETFs delivered strong year-to-date gains, reflecting heightened investor attention.ETFs including IHAK offer exposure to cybersecurity firms, with annual gains ranging from 48.5% to 63.9%. A wave of artificial intelligence (AI)-discovered vulnerabilities emerged last week in PHP, the programming language powering nearly 70% of the web, prompting industry experts to label the development as “Black October.” Cybersecurity teams worldwide are scrambling to patch critical flaws found using advanced AI models, with some executives noting that attacks observed over just two days could rank among the most severe security breaches of an entire year.As one can expect, the disclosure rattled governments, banks, and tech giants alike, and Wall Street responded swiftly. Shares of major security providers, including Okta (OKTA - Free Report) , Palo Alto (PANW - Free Report) and CrowdStrike (CRWD - Free Report) , rallied sharply last week as investors bet that the chaos would accelerate corporate spending on defensive infrastructure. This heightened investor attention has brought cybersecurity exchange-traded funds (ETFs) into a bright spotlight, as these funds provide diversified exposure to companies positioned to address the growing cybersecurity threats. For investors, this episode underscores how the rapid expansion of AI is not only benefiting core AI accelerators like NVIDIA (NVDA - Free Report) but also creating long-term growth opportunities for the cybersecurity industry, thereby bringing cybersecurity-focused exchange-traded funds (ETFs) into focus. Before diving deep into the specifics of these ETFs, we must dig deeper into how AI’s explosive growth is influencing the cybersecurity industry, what role these firms play in connection to AI’s vulnerabilities, and how investors should reassess their portfolio positions around these security-focused funds. How Is AI Reshaping the Cyber Threat Landscape? The PHP episode illustrates a fundamental shift: AI is compressing the attack lifecycle. According to the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity, the gap between vulnerability discovery and exploitation has shrunk from years to months, and in some cases to minutes. To this end, it is imperative to mention that, as per a report from the World Economic Forum (“WEF”), published in May 2026, 94% of cyber leaders now identify AI as the defining force in cybersecurity, with 77% of organizations already using it in cyber operations. The firms within cybersecurity ETFs are precisely the vendors building the automated defenses that enterprises are deploying to prevent cyberattacks. For instance, Palo Alto Networks offers Unit 42 Continuous Frontier AI Defense, an always-on agentic service that uses frontier models to discover and validate exploitable vulnerabilities before attackers can exploit them. The company also offers Prisma AIRS to secure enterprise AI applications and agents. CrowdStrike’s Falcon platform unifies endpoint, identity, cloud, and AI protection in one AI-native system, with Charlotte AI agents that triage detections and accelerate response at machine speed. Cloudflare leverages its global network — processing trillions of requests daily — to correlate live traffic with code vulnerabilities and deploy edge protections before patches are written. The payoff from these tools is measurable, not theoretical: organizations that extensively leverage AI in security reduce average breach costs by up to $1.9 million and shorten breach lifecycles by roughly 80 days, according to the WEF report. In short, the same technology that creates the vulnerability is also used as the most potent remedy, and the companies selling that remedy are among the top holdings of prominent cybersecurity ETFs. Cybersecurity ETFs in Spotlight For investors, the “Black October” moment once again challenges the assumption that cybersecurity is merely a defensive, slow-growth allocation. The sector has already delivered strong returns this year, with major sector indices like the Nasdaq CTA Cybersecurity Index surging a solid 50.5% year to date. Considering the aforementioned discussion, the recent developments in AI vulnerabilities put the spotlight on the following cybersecurity ETFs: First Trust NASDAQ Cybersecurity ETF (CIBR - Free Report) This fund, with net assets worth $18.36 billion, offers exposure to 45 companies primarily involved in the building, implementation, and management of security protocols applied to private and public networks, computers, and mobile devices to provide protection of the integrity of data and network operations. CRWD, Fortinet (FTNT - Free Report) and PANW hold the first three spots in the fund, carrying 8.40%, 7.93% and 7.50% weight, respectively. CIBR has surged 48.5% year to date and charges 58 basis points (bps) in fees. It traded at a good volume of 3.18 million shares in the last trading session. Amplify Cybersecurity ETF (HACK - Free Report) This fund, with net assets worth $3.63 billion, tracks 23 companies actively involved in providing cybersecurity solutions that include hardware, software, and services. CRWD, Broadcom and Cisco Systems hold the first three spots in the fund, carrying 5.77%, 5.76% and 5.38% weight, respectively. HACK has gained 59.1% year to date and charges 60 bps in fees. It traded at a volume of 0.53 million shares in the last trading session. Global X Cybersecurity ETF (BUG - Free Report) This fund, with net assets worth $2.23 billion, includes 30 companies that stand to potentially benefit from the increased adoption of cybersecurity technology, such as those whose principal business lies in the development and management of security protocols preventing intrusion and attacks to systems, networks, applications, computers and mobile devices. OKTA, CRWD and FTNT hold the first three spots in the fund, carrying 9.37%, 7.48% and 6.91% weight, respectively. BUG has surged 63.9% year to date and charges 50 bps in fees. It traded at a good volume of 2.46 million shares in the last trading session. iShares Cybersecurity and Tech ETF (IHAK - Free Report) This fund, with net assets worth $1.27 billion, offers exposure to 34 firms involved in cybersecurity hardware, software & services. Netspoke, Qualys and Zscaler hold the first three spots in the fund, carrying 6.84%, 6.15% and 6.09% weight, respectively. IHAK has surged 53.7% year to date and charges 47 bps in fees. It traded at a volume of 0.36 million shares in the last trading session. |

Is Trending Stock Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI) a Buy Now? | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
Kinder Morgan (KMI - Free Report) is one of the stocks most watched by Zacks.com visitors lately. So, it might be a good idea to review some of the factors that might affect the near-term performance of the stock.Over the past month, shares of this oil and natural gas pipeline and storage company have returned +12%, compared to the Zacks S&P 500 composite's -1.2% change. During this period, the Zacks Oil and Gas - Production and Pipelines industry, which Kinder Morgan falls in, has gained 1.7%. The key question now is: What could be the stock's future direction? While media releases or rumors about a substantial change in a company's business prospects usually make its stock 'trending' and lead to an immediate price change, there are always some fundamental facts that eventually dominate the buy-and-hold decision-making. Earnings Estimate RevisionsRather than focusing on anything else, we at Zacks prioritize evaluating the change in a company's earnings projection. This is because we believe the fair value for its stock is determined by the present value of its future stream of earnings. We essentially look at how sell-side analysts covering the stock are revising their earnings estimates to reflect the impact of the latest business trends. And if earnings estimates go up for a company, the fair value for its stock goes up. A higher fair value than the current market price drives investors' interest in buying the stock, leading to its price moving higher. This is why empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements. Kinder Morgan is expected to post earnings of $0.40 per share for the current quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +2.6%. Over the last 30 days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate has changed +1.3%. For the current fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $1.56 points to a change of +20% from the prior year. Over the last 30 days, this estimate has changed +2.9%. For the next fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $1.55 indicates a change of -1% from what Kinder Morgan is expected to report a year ago. Over the past month, the estimate has remained unchanged. Having a strong externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool, the Zacks Rank, offers a more conclusive picture of a stock's price direction in the near term, since it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions. Due to the size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, Kinder Morgan is rated Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). The chart below shows the evolution of the company's forward 12-month consensus EPS estimate: 12 Month EPS Revenue Growth ForecastWhile earnings growth is arguably the most superior indicator of a company's financial health, nothing happens as such if a business isn't able to grow its revenues. After all, it's nearly impossible for a company to increase its earnings for an extended period without increasing its revenues. So, it's important to know a company's potential revenue growth. For Kinder Morgan, the consensus sales estimate for the current quarter of $4.62 billion indicates a year-over-year change of +2.5%. For the current and next fiscal years, $18.33 billion and $18.92 billion estimates indicate +8.2% and +3.2% changes, respectively. Last Reported Results and Surprise HistoryKinder Morgan reported revenues of $4.53 billion in the last reported quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +9.3%. EPS of $0.35 for the same period compares with $0.29 a year ago. Compared to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $4.38 billion, the reported revenues represent a surprise of +3.52%. The EPS surprise was +6.06%. The company beat consensus EPS estimates in each of the trailing four quarters. The company topped consensus revenue estimates each time over this period. ValuationWithout considering a stock's valuation, no investment decision can be efficient. In predicting a stock's future price performance, it's crucial to determine whether its current price correctly reflects the intrinsic value of the underlying business and the company's growth prospects. Comparing the current value of a company's valuation multiples, such as its price-to-earnings (P/E), price-to-sales (P/S), and price-to-cash flow (P/CF), to its own historical values helps ascertain whether its stock is fairly valued, overvalued, or undervalued, whereas comparing the company relative to its peers on these parameters gives a good sense of how reasonable its stock price is. As part of the Zacks Style Scores system, the Zacks Value Style Score (which evaluates both traditional and unconventional valuation metrics) organizes stocks into five groups ranging from A to F (A is better than B; B is better than C; and so on), making it helpful in identifying whether a stock is overvalued, rightly valued, or temporarily undervalued. Kinder Morgan is graded D on this front, indicating that it is trading at a premium to its peers. Click here to see the values of some of the valuation metrics that have driven this grade. ConclusionThe facts discussed here and much other information on Zacks.com might help determine whether or not it's worthwhile paying attention to the market buzz about Kinder Morgan. However, its Zacks Rank #3 does suggest that it may perform in line with the broader market in the near term. |

Here is What to Know Beyond Why Comcast Corporation (CMCSA) is a Trending Stock | FMP Stock News

Comcast (CMCSA - Free Report) is one of the stocks most watched by Zacks.com visitors lately. So, it might be a good idea to review some of the factors that might affect the near-term performance of the stock.Over the past month, shares of this cable provider have returned +3.6%, compared to the Zacks S&P 500 composite's -1.2% change. During this period, the Zacks Cable Television industry, which Comcast falls in, has gained 0.7%. The key question now is: What could be the stock's future direction? While media releases or rumors about a substantial change in a company's business prospects usually make its stock 'trending' and lead to an immediate price change, there are always some fundamental facts that eventually dominate the buy-and-hold decision-making. Revisions to Earnings EstimatesHere at Zacks, we prioritize appraising the change in the projection of a company's future earnings over anything else. The consensus earnings estimate of $3.52 for the current fiscal year indicates a year-over-year change of -18.3%. This estimate has changed +0.6% over the last 30 days. The size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, has resulted in a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell) for Comcast. The chart below shows the evolution of the company's forward 12-month consensus EPS estimate: 12 Month EPS Projected Revenue GrowthEven though a company's earnings growth is arguably the best indicator of its financial health, nothing much happens if it cannot raise its revenues. It's almost impossible for a company to grow its earnings without growing its revenue for long periods. Therefore, knowing a company's potential revenue growth is crucial. In the case of Comcast, the consensus sales estimate of $30.18 billion for the current quarter points to a year-over-year change of -6.6%. The $120.07 billion and $117.03 billion estimates for the current and next fiscal years indicate changes of -2.9% and -2.5%, respectively. Last Reported Results and Surprise HistoryComcast reported revenues of $29.3 billion in the last reported quarter, representing a year-over-year change of -6.1%. EPS of $1.07 for the same period compares with $1.12 a year ago. Compared to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $29.35 billion, the reported revenues represent a surprise of -0.18%. The EPS surprise was +9.18%. The company beat consensus EPS estimates in each of the trailing four quarters. The company topped consensus revenue estimates three times over this period. These 2 Oils and Energy Stocks Could Beat Earnings: Why They Should Be on Your Radar | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
Two factors often determine stock prices in the long run: earnings and interest rates. Investors can't control the latter, but they can focus on a company's earnings results every quarter. We know earnings results are vital, but how a company performs compared to bottom line expectations can be even more important when it comes to stock prices, especially in the near-term. This means that investors might want to take advantage of these earnings surprises. Now that we know how important earnings and earnings surprises are, it's time to show investors how to take advantage of these events to boost their returns by utilizing the Zacks Earnings ESP filter. The Zacks Earnings ESP, ExplainedThe Zacks Expected Surprise Prediction, or ESP, works by locking in on the most up-to-date analyst earnings revisions because they can be more accurate than estimates from weeks or even months before the actual release date. The thinking is pretty straightforward: analysts who provide earnings estimates closer to the report are likely to have more information. Should You Consider Baker Hughes? The last thing we will do today, now that we have a grasp on the ESP and how powerful of a tool it can be, is to quickly look at a qualifying stock. Baker Hughes (BKR - Free Report) holds a #1 (Strong Buy) at the moment and its Most Accurate Estimate comes in at $0.65 a share one day away from its upcoming earnings release on October 27, 2026. BKR has an Earnings ESP figure of +2.08%, which, as explained above, is calculated by taking the percentage difference between the $0.65 Most Accurate Estimate and the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.64. Baker Hughes is one of a large database of stocks with positive ESPs. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported. BKR is one of just a large database of Oils and Energy stocks with positive ESPs. Another solid-looking stock is Valero Energy (VLO - Free Report) . Valero Energy is a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stock, and is getting ready to report earnings on February 4, 2027. VLO's Most Accurate Estimate sits at $17.04 a share 101 days from its next earnings release. For Valero Energy, the percentage difference between its Most Accurate Estimate and its Zacks Consensus Estimate of $15.58 is +9.35%. Because both stocks hold a positive Earnings ESP, BKR and VLO could potentially post earnings beats in their next reports. Find Stocks to Buy or Sell Before They're ReportedUse the Zacks Earnings ESP Filter to turn up stocks with the highest probability of positively, or negatively, surprising to buy or sell before they're reported for profitable earnings season trading. The Hidden Catalyst That Could Send Exelon Stock Back to $50 on Oct. 30 | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
Exelon reports earnings before the open on Oct. 30, and buried inside the call is a transmission pipeline question that could shift how Wall Street prices this utility for years to come.Exelon (NASDAQ:EXC | EXC Price Prediction) reports third-quarter results before the open on Friday, Oct. 30. Shares trade at $44.42, about 12.6% below $50. I think data center demand is the driver that could close that gap. Steady Guidance After a Stormy Summer Last quarter, Exelon posted adjusted operating earnings of $0.43 per share and confirmed full-year guidance of $2.81 to $2.91. Management aims to land “at the midpoint or better.” Jeanne Jones said the third quarter should represent about 27% of that midpoint. Storms, weather, and a PECO employee strike in early July shaped that outlook. ComEd alone faced 16 major weather events. Exelon also withdrew its PECO rate case without cutting planned capital. The stock rose 9.17% over the past month and 4.74% year to date, but remains down 3.24% over the past year. Analysts lowered their third-quarter EPS average from $0.8746 90 days ago to $0.7951. Wall Street Expects a Lighter Third Quarter Metric Consensus Year-Ago Actual YoY Change Q3 2026 EPS $0.7951 $0.86 -7.5% Q3 2026 Revenue $6.82B $6.705B +1.7% FY 2026 EPS $2.8567 $2.77 +3.1% FY 2026 Revenue $25.5B $24.26B +5.1% Gigawatts Must Turn Into Signed Contracts Transmission is the hidden driver. Exelon cut its data center pipeline to 36 gigawatts from 43 gigawatts after a stricter review, yet kept its $41 billion capital plan through 2029 unchanged. 4 gigawatts carry signed transmission security agreements supported by $1 billion of collateral. The focus turns to how much of the remaining 25 gigawatts under review changes into secured commitments. Management also sees a $12 billion to $17 billion transmission opportunity beyond the plan. Two MISO Tranche 2.1 bids with Invenergy should get answers in the fourth quarter, and a 500-megawatt New Jersey battery project adds about $1 billion not yet in the plan. PJM’s strain supports the case. Capacity prices cleared at the $330 per megawatt-day cap for a third straight auction, and PJM’s simulation showed ComEd clearing near $777 without it. Regulatory timing is another factor to watch: an order on ComEd’s $15.3 billion grid plan is expected by December 15, while BGE’s $156.1 million request waits a January 2027 decision. Funding risk looks contained. Exelon completed about 86% of its 2026 debt financing and priced all 2026 equity needs. Why Transmission Could Re-Rate This Utility Exelon beat EPS estimates in every quarter from Q2 2024 through Q4 2025, and a softer third quarter already sits in consensus. The path toward $50 runs through rate base. If management turns more of the pipeline into signed, collateral-backed load and holds growth near the top of its 5% to 7% range, I think investors will start valuing Exelon as a grid growth story. Čínské automobilky v Evropě poprvé předstihly Japonsko | Patria Stock News
|
Original source text

Enterprise Products to Report Q3 Earnings: What's in the Cards? | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
Key Takeaways EPD's Q3'26 EPS is expected to rise 21.3% to 74 cents, with revenues projected to grow 27.7% to $13.40B. EPD's NGL and crude oil pipeline margins are expected to reach $1.57 billion & $420 million, respectively.EPD's fee-based contracts may support cash flows despite expected weakness in natural gas pipelines. Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (EPD - Free Report) is set to report third-quarter 2026 results on Oct. 29, before the opening bell.In the last reported quarter, the partnership’s adjusted earnings of 84 cents per share beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 75 cents due to increased international demand, higher marketing margins and record system activity. The partnership’s earnings surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate in two of the trailing four quarters and missed it twice, delivering an average surprise of 1.5%. This is depicted in the graph below. Estimate Trend for EPDThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for third-quarter earnings per share (EPS) of 74 cents has seen no upward or downward revisions in the past seven days. The estimated figure indicates a 21.3% improvement from the prior-year reported figure. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues of $13.35 billion implies a 27.7% increase from the year-ago recorded figure. Factors to Consider for EPD's Q3 ResultsEnterprise Products is a leading player in the midstream energy sector, with an extensive pipeline network spanning more than 50,000 miles, liquids storage facilities with more than 300 million barrels of storage capacity, deepwater docks, natural gas processing trains, fractionators, two propane dehydrogenation facilities and isobutane dehydrogenation facilities. The partnership stores and transports natural gas liquids (NGL), crude oil, natural gas, petrochemicals and refined products using its midstream assets. A large portion of its contracts are fee-based, with inflation protection provisions. Therefore, EPD likely generated stable cash flows in the September-end quarter of 2026. For the third quarter, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the NGL Pipelines and Services segment’s gross operating margin is $1,572 million, up from $1,369 million in the prior-year quarter. The estimate for the Crude Oil Pipelines and Services segment is pegged at $420 million compared with $377 million a year ago. However, the Natural Gas Pipelines & Services segment is expected to face pressure, with its gross operating margin estimated at $374 million, down from $402 million in the prior-year period. Q3 Earnings Whispers for EPD StockOur proven model does not conclusively predict an earnings beat for EPD this time around. The combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold) increases the chances of an earnings beat. However, that is not the case here, as you will see below. Enterprise Products' Earnings ESP: EPD has an Earnings ESP of -2.87%. You can uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they are reported with our Earnings ESP Filter. Dutch Bros vs. Lululemon: Which Stock Is a Better Buy in 2026? | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
As consumer habits shift, investors are weighing high-growth disruptors against established category leaders. Choosing between Dutch Bros (BROS +2.23%) and Lululemon Athletica (LULU +4.39%) requires balancing rapid expansion against proven profitability.Dutch Bros is a drive-thru coffee specialist known for speed and community, while Lululemon is a dominant force in athletic apparel with a premium brand. While they operate in different industries, both compete for discretionary consumer spending and offer distinct risk-reward profiles for growth-oriented investors. The case for Dutch BrosDutch Bros operates a rapidly expanding network of drive-thru coffee shops, primarily serving the consumer discretionary stocks category. The company focuses on high-speed service and community engagement through its signature brand. Through the June quarter of fiscal 2026, trailing-12-month (TTM) revenue reached nearly $1.9 billion, which was a significant 29.6% increase over the previous year. This growth follows a strong multi-year trend of expansion from under $1 billion in revenue just three years ago. Dutch Bros reported TTM net income of approximately $92 million. This represents a net margin of roughly 7%, showing a steady improvement from the nearly break-even levels seen in 2023. As of its June 2026 balance sheet, the company reported a debt-to-equity ratio of approximately 1.2x. This metric compares total debt to shareholders' equity. The current ratio, which measures the company's ability to pay off short-term debts with short-term assets, was roughly 1.4x. TTM free cash flow was approximately $95 million, calculated by subtracting capital expenditures from cash from operations. The case for Lululemon AthleticaLululemon Athletica specializes in technical athletic apparel and accessories for a global customer base. The company operates more than 800 stores and a large digital platform across 30 countries. It serves guests through physical storefronts, mobile apps, and third-party marketplaces. The company also manages a "Like New" re-commerce program as part of its circular ecosystem, which allows guests to trade in and purchase used gear. Through the August-ending quarter for fiscal 2027, TTM revenue reached $11 billion, reflecting a year-over-year growth rate of approximately 1.7%. This performance generated trailing net income of $1.4 billion. The resulting net margin was roughly 13%, which remains high for the apparel industry, though slightly lower than in previous years. Stable profitability allows the company to reinvest in international expansion and product innovation. As of its August 2026 balance sheet, the company maintained a debt-to-equity ratio of nearly 0.4x. This low level of debt relative to equity suggests a conservative approach to financing. The current ratio was approximately 2.2x, indicating a strong buffer to meet immediate financial obligations. TTM Free cash flow was roughly $1.3 million, representing the cash remaining after the company covers its operating expenses and capital investments. Risk profile comparisonDutch Bros faces intense competition from established giants like Starbucks and other beverage chains. The company is heavily concentrated in the Western United States, which leaves it vulnerable to regional issues such as wildfires and localized economic downturns. It also relies on a concentrated supply chain for coffee beans and energy drink packaging. Furthermore, Dutch Bros faces execution risks as it aggressively expands its footprint into new markets. Lululemon Athletica is managing a significant leadership transition, including the upcoming appointment of a new chief executive officer. The company also faces public pressure and board challenges from its founder. Its supply chain is heavily concentrated in Vietnam and mainland China, exposing the business to geopolitical tensions and trade policy shifts. Additionally, Lululemon must compete against established athletic brands like Nike and privately owned brands like Alo Yoga in a highly competitive athletic apparel industry. Valuation comparisonLululemon offers a much lower entry price relative to its earnings and sales, whereas Dutch Bros carries a premium valuation tied to its high revenue growth. The P/S ratio compares market capitalization to sales over the past twelve months. MetricDutch Broslululemon athleticaForward P/E43.6x10.8xP/S ratio4.2x1.1xValuation metrics include those sourced from Financial Modeling Prep (FMP) and may differ from those of other data providers. Both businesses are operating in a crowded market for beverages and apparel. Lululemon is cheaper, but that reflects weakening growth and uncertainty as it transitions to new leadership. Even though Dutch Bros trades at a higher earnings multiple, I would rather buy Dutch Bros stock than Lululemon in 2026. Dutch Bros is one of the most promising emerging restaurant growth stories right now. Its same-store sales have outperformed Starbucks' in recent years, indicating it is gaining a loyal customer base in the small number of states where it has a concentrated store presence. It operated 1,225 locations as of June 30, 2026, concentrated in the Western U.S. Lululemon has the potential to offer greater upside over the next several years, as the stock trades at a low earnings multiple that may undervalue the brand. However, given the leadership change, I want to see more evidence of a working sales strategy before buying the stock. Dutch Bros has shown more resilience in a challenging consumer spending environment. It posted a 5.8% year-over-year increase in same-shop sales last quarter. With company guidance pointing to 5%-6% same-shop growth for the full year, the recent dip looks like a good buying opportunity. |

Dominion's Q3 Dilemma: Massive Grid Demand Meets A 6-Year Rate Freeze Threat | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
Dominion just posted six straight earnings beats while its data center pipeline swells past 53 gigawatts, but Virginia regulators are threatening a freeze that could gut the base-rate growth powering the whole story.Dominion Energy (NYSE:D | D Price Prediction) is expected to report third-quarter results before the market opens on Friday, October 30. Record data center demand continues raising earnings. At the same time, Virginia officials want a six-year base-rate freeze as the price of the NextEra Energy (NYSE:NEE) merger. Six Straight Beats Run Into a Political Wall Last quarter, Dominion posted operating EPS of $0.79 against a $0.68 consensus. That made six beats in a row. Revenue rose 17.6% YoY to $4.48B, and Dominion Energy Virginia’s operating earnings climbed to $670M from $549M on Biennial Review effects and rider equity returns. GAAP results looked worse. Nonregulated impairments of $626M cut net income to $340M. Management reaffirmed 2026 operating EPS guidance of $3.45 to $3.69. Since then, the politics around the deal with NextEra have hardened. Governor Abigail Spanberger and State Corporation Commission staff oppose the merger. They are demanding a six-year base-rate freeze and tripled customer credits. Even so, shares have gained 14.73% year to date, to $65.20. Consensus Calls for Double-Digit EPS Growth Metric Consensus Prior Year YoY Growth Q3 2026 EPS $1.1933 $1.06 12.6% Q3 2026 Revenue $4.80B $4.53B 6.1% FY 2026 EPS $3.5857 $3.42 4.8% FY 2026 Revenue $18.16B $16.5B 10.0% The Q3 EPS estimate has slipped from $1.2059 60 days ago. Analysts made two downward revisions in the past month. Freeze Talk and the 53 GW Pipeline Will Set the Tone Mostly, I’ll be watching how management responds to the freeze demand before Virginia’s formal hearings begin November 17. Rider returns and base-rate increases drove this year’s Virginia gains, and a six-year freeze would cap the base-rate side. In July, Robert Blue pushed back: “We don’t think it makes sense to change the rules in the middle of the game.” Demand remains the strongest card Dominion holds. The utility has over 53 gigawatts of data center capacity in various stages of contracting, with about 12 gigawatts under electric service agreements. You should track whether that signed figure continues rising, because signed contracts are what turn into rate base. Offshore wind is the third test. The Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project was 81% complete, with costs revised to $11.65 billion and final turbine installation pushed back 6 months. Any further decline would matter. Finally, watch the new resource plan. It proposes nearly 9 GW of new gas plants and only 3.5 GW of battery storage, against Virginia’s 16 GW storage mandate. Dominion has also sued Prince William County after local supervisors blocked a substation overhaul. A Freeze Would Rewrite the Growth Math Dominion’s target of 5% to 7% annual EPS growth through 2030 depends on a $64.7B capital plan making regulated returns. The demand is clearly there. What’s uncertain is how much of that spending regulators will let Dominion recover. If management shows a merger path that avoids punishing freeze terms, the rally has support. If those terms stick, the company’s stated lean toward the upper half of its range for 2028 to 2030 becomes much harder to defend. Contact [email protected] for any questions or corrections. |

Axon Enterprise vs. CrowdStrike: Which Security Stock Is a Better Buy? | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
Public safety and cybersecurity both rely on mission-critical technology to protect essential assets. Deciding between Axon Enterprise (AXON -0.76%) and CrowdStrike (CRWD -0.72%) requires weighing physical security dominance against digital defense leadership.Axon transforms law enforcement through Taser devices and body cameras, while CrowdStrike secures the cloud using its Falcon platform. Both companies command premium valuations due to their sticky, recurring revenue models. Investors often compare them because they both provide essential protection services that are difficult for customers to replace. The case for Axon EnterpriseAxon Enterprise operates in a specialized area often associated with defense stocks, serving public and private safety professionals globally. The company sells hardware like Taser devices and body cameras alongside cloud-based software for evidence management and real-time operations. According to its latest annual report, no single customer accounted for more than 10% of total net sales, which reduces the impact of any individual contract loss. In the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2025, revenue reached approximately $2.8 billion, representing a growth rate of nearly 33.5% compared with the prior fiscal year. The company reported net income of close to $124.9 million for the same period. Its net margin, which measures the percentage of revenue remaining as profit after all expenses, was roughly 4.5%. As of its December 2025 balance sheet, the debt-to-equity ratio is approximately 0.6x, meaning its total debt is 60% of its shareholder equity. The current ratio is roughly 2.5x, which measures its ability to pay short-term debts with assets that can be converted to cash quickly. Free cash flow reached nearly $75.1 million in its latest fiscal year. Note that stock-based compensation represented roughly 300.1% of operating cash flow, meaning reported cash generation is heavily inflated by this non-cash add-back. The case for CrowdStrikeCrowdStrike provides cloud-native cybersecurity through its Falcon platform, which includes 34 different software modules for endpoint protection and identity security. It serves over 88,000 organizations and maintains strategic partnerships with hardware leaders like Nvidia. The company utilizes a software-as-a-service model to generate recurring revenue from global enterprise and government clients seeking to prevent digital breaches. In the fiscal year ended Jan. 31, 2026, revenue reached nearly $4.8 billion, which is an increase of roughly 21.7% year over year. However, the company reported a net loss of approximately $162.5 million during this period. This resulted in a negative net margin of roughly 3.4%, indicating that its total expenses exceeded its total revenue for the latest fiscal year. As of its January 2026 balance sheet, the debt-to-equity ratio is close to 0.2x, which indicates a relatively low level of debt compared to its equity. Its current ratio is approximately 1.8x, measuring its liquid assets against its upcoming obligations. Free cash flow for the period was roughly $1.3 billion. Note that stock-based compensation represented roughly 68% of operating cash flow, which inflates reported cash generation since SBC is a non-cash expense added back in the cash flow statement. Risk profile comparisonAxon Enterprise is substantially dependent on law enforcement agencies, and shifts in government budgetary priorities could reduce demand for its products. The company also faces competition from established players like Motorola Solutions in the public safety market. Additionally, it relies on domestic and international suppliers for critical components, which creates vulnerability to supply chain disruptions and geopolitical volatility. CrowdStrike continues to face adverse effects from its July 19, 2024, configuration update failure, which resulted in system crashes and ongoing class action litigation. The company also faces pressure from competitors who may drive pricing lower to gain market share in the fragmented security software market. Furthermore, because its platform is hosted on infrastructure provided by Amazon, any disruptions at those facilities could lead to service outages. Valuation comparisonCrowdStrike carries a significantly higher valuation on both earnings and sales metrics, reflecting higher growth expectations despite its recent net loss. MetricAxon EnterpriseCrowdStrikeForward P/E54.0x189.8xP/S ratio10.5x45.1xValuation metrics include sourcing from Financial Modeling Prep (FMP) and may differ from other data providers. Which stock would I buy in 2026?Axon's business and more affordable stock valuation make it an appealing choice in this matchup of physical vs. digital security players. Axon's stock has repriced lower over the last year, down more than 45% year over year as of Oct. 26. The decline was mainly driven by a broad market adjustment of software and software-as-a-service (SaaS) stocks as the market considers how autonomous AI agents and copilots could reshape these businesses. It also recently completed a $1 billion offering of convertible senior notes, plus an option for up to $150 million more, diluting existing shareholders. Several analyst groups are lowering their price targets on the stock in response to valuation concerns. But none of these changes reflects fundamental weakness or disappointing quarterly results out of Axon. But Axon has developed a wide economic moat, providing both hardware and software to law enforcement agencies that would be difficult and costly to switch. Since the end of 2019, the company has delivered 25% revenue growth or better in every quarter except one. And despite the analyst rerating, the average analyst price target is between $681.70 and $697.59, with a high forecast of $830.00. At a current price around $420, Axon looks like a solid buy-the-dip candidate right now. |

It is expected to be accretive to Acuity's fiscal 2027 full-year adjusted diluted earnings per share. Parameter provides mission-critical leak detection, environmental monitoring and battery monitoring solutions for data centers and other critical infrastructure. Duolingo: The 2027 Bull Case Is Hidden In The Monetization Switch | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
Throughout 2025, Duolingo pushed monetization by adding friction to its free app: bookings grew 33%, but daily user growth slowed from 49% to ~30%. In February 2026, management reversed course and gave up more than $50 Million of 2026 bookings to grow users again, targeting 100 Million DAUs in 2028. DAU growth has reaccelerated from 21% to 23% in H1 2026, while Advertising and in-app purchase revenue, the lines most tied to friction, are shrinking. |

Deckers Outdoor Corporation (DECK) is Attracting Investor Attention: Here is What You Should Know | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
Deckers (DECK - Free Report) has recently been on Zacks.com's list of the most searched stocks. Therefore, you might want to consider some of the key factors that could influence the stock's performance in the near future.Shares of this maker of Ugg footwear have returned +3.1% over the past month versus the Zacks S&P 500 composite's -1.2% change. The Zacks Retail - Apparel and Shoes industry, to which Deckers belongs, has gained 9% over this period. Now the key question is: Where could the stock be headed in the near term? Although media reports or rumors about a significant change in a company's business prospects usually cause its stock to trend and lead to an immediate price change, there are always certain fundamental factors that ultimately drive the buy-and-hold decision. For the current quarter, Deckers is expected to post earnings of $3.52 per share, indicating a change of +5.7% from the year-ago quarter. The Zacks Consensus Estimate has changed -1.3% over the last 30 days. For the current fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $7.69 points to a change of +9.5% from the prior year. Over the last 30 days, this estimate has changed +3.7%. For the next fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $8.2 indicates a change of +6.6% from what Deckers is expected to report a year ago. Over the past month, the estimate has changed -1.4%. With an impressive externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool -- the Zacks Rank -- is a more conclusive indicator of a stock's near-term price performance, as it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions. The size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, has resulted in a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) for Deckers. For Deckers, the consensus sales estimate for the current quarter of $2.12 billion indicates a year-over-year change of +8.2%. For the current and next fiscal years, $5.79 billion and $6.19 billion estimates indicate +5.7% and +7% changes, respectively. Last Reported Results and Surprise HistoryDeckers reported revenues of $1.48 billion in the last reported quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +3.5%. EPS of $2.03 for the same period compares with $1.82 a year ago. Compared to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.51 billion, the reported revenues represent a surprise of -1.98%. The EPS surprise was +11.54%. The company beat consensus EPS estimates in each of the trailing four quarters. The company topped consensus revenue estimates three times over this period. ValuationWithout considering a stock's valuation, no investment decision can be efficient. In predicting a stock's future price performance, it's crucial to determine whether its current price correctly reflects the intrinsic value of the underlying business and the company's growth prospects. While comparing the current values of a company's valuation multiples, such as price-to-earnings (P/E), price-to-sales (P/S), and price-to-cash flow (P/CF), with its own historical values helps determine whether its stock is fairly valued, overvalued, or undervalued, comparing the company relative to its peers on these parameters gives a good sense of the reasonability of the stock's price. The Zacks Value Style Score (part of the Zacks Style Scores system), which pays close attention to both traditional and unconventional valuation metrics to grade stocks from A to F (an A is better than a B; a B is better than a C; and so on), is pretty helpful in identifying whether a stock is overvalued, rightly valued, or temporarily undervalued. Deckers is graded B on this front, indicating that it is trading at a discount to its peers. Click here to see the values of some of the valuation metrics that have driven this grade. ConclusionThe facts discussed here and much other information on Zacks.com might help determine whether or not it's worthwhile paying attention to the market buzz about Deckers. However, its Zacks Rank #3 does suggest that it may perform in line with the broader market in the near term. |

Robust Trading Performance to Drive RJF's Q4 Earnings, IB to Hurt | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
Key Takeaways Raymond James' Q4 earnings are projected to rise 5.5%, with revenues expected to grow 12.3% year over year.RJF's trading revenues are poised to gain from heightened market volatility and increased client activity.RJF's investment banking fees are expected to fall 4.9%, while NII is projected to rise 2.9%.Raymond James (RJF - Free Report) is set to announce fourth-quarter and full-year fiscal 2026 (ended Sept. 30) results on Oct. 28, after market close. The company’s quarterly earnings and revenues are expected to have risen on a year-over-year basis. In the last reported quarter, RJF’s earnings surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate. Results benefited primarily from an increase in revenues to record levels and robust growth in the assets under administration balance. However, higher expenses were the undermining factor. Raymond James has an impressive earnings surprise history. Its earnings outpaced the Zacks Consensus Estimate in each of the trailing four quarters, with the average beat being 6.67%. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the company’s fiscal fourth-quarter earnings is pegged at $3.28, unchanged over the past week. The figure indicates an increase of 5.5% from the year-ago quarter. The consensus estimate for sales of $4.19 billion suggests 12.3% year-over-year growth. Management expects fiscal third-quarter asset management and related administrative fees to grow 11% sequentially, driven by higher Private Client Group assets and fee-based accounts balance at quarter end. Factors to Influence Raymond James’ Q4 EarningsInvestment Banking (IB) Fees: After an impressive performance in the last few quarters, global deal-making activity moderated in the September quarter, weighed down by elevated interest rates, persistent inflation and geopolitical uncertainties that complicated valuations and deal negotiations. Still, strategic buyers continued to pursue acquisitions to strengthen scale, operational resilience and supply-chain security amid a challenging business environment. So, overall global mergers and acquisitions (M&As) volume and value were muted as only a handful of big transactions dominated the space. This is expected to have hurt RJF’s advisory fees in the quarter. IPO activity remained robust in the to-be-reported quarter, with proceeds climbing to a five-year high, despite a year-over-year decline in the number of deals. Meanwhile, global equity and debt issuance activity lost momentum as geopolitical uncertainties, persistent inflation and fluctuating energy prices dampened investor risk appetite. So, RJF’s underwriting fees are expected to have declined on a year-over-year basis. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the company’s total IB fees for the fiscal fourth quarter is pegged at $300.5 million, indicating a 4.9% decrease on a year-over-year basis. Trading Revenues: The performance of RJF’s trading business is expected to have been strong in the to-be-reported quarter, supported by increased client activity and market volatility. Trading conditions were shaped by evolving expectations surrounding artificial intelligence, ongoing geopolitical tensions, persistent inflationary pressures and a more hawkish Federal Reserve. These factors contributed to heightened volatility across equities and other asset classes, including commodities, fixed income and foreign exchange. Net Interest Income (NII): In the to-be-reported quarter, the Fed raised interest rates by 25 basis points to 3.75-4.00% for the first time in more than three years because of persistently high inflation. However, this is less likely to have affected Raymond James’ NII numbers much in the quarter. The lending scenario is likely to have normalized in the September-end quarter, which, along with stabilizing funding/deposit costs, is expected to have offered much-needed support to RJF’s NII. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for NII is pegged at $567.1 million, indicating a year-over-year rise of 2.9%. Based on static interest rates and assuming unchanged quarter-end balances and net of the fiscal fourth-quarter fee billing collection of $2.1 billion, the company expects the aggregate of NII and Raymond James Bank Deposit Program (RJBDP) third-party fees in the fourth fiscal quarter to be flat sequentially. Expenses: Raymond James consistently hires advisors and invests in franchises. Thus, overall expenses are expected to have increased in the to-be-reported quarter. Due to a highly competitive environment and inflationary pressure, expenses are likely to have risen. For fiscal 2026, management expects non-compensation expenses, excluding the bank loan loss provision for credit losses, unexpected legal and regulatory items, and non-GAAP adjustments to be $2.3 billion, representing 8% year-over-year growth. What the Zacks Model Unveils for Raymond JamesAccording to our proven model, the chances of RJF beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings this time are low. This is because it does not have the right combination of two key ingredients — a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) or better. Twilio Gears Up to Report Q3 Earnings: Is a Beat in Store for TWLO? | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
Key Takeaways Twilio is expected to beat Q3'26 earnings estimates, with consensus EPS of $1.46, up 16.8% year over year.AI upgrades, new Conversations Layer tools and an expanded partner network could boost Twilio's Q3 results.Twilio faces pricing and carrier-cost pressure, while delayed enterprise IT spending could weigh on Q3 growth.Twilio Inc. (TWLO - Free Report) is likely to surpass earnings estimates when it reports third-quarter 2026 results on Oct. 29, after market close. Twilio anticipates non-GAAP earnings per share between $1.42 and $1.47. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for third-quarter earnings has remained unchanged at $1.46 per share over the past 60 days, suggesting an improvement of 16.8% from the year-ago quarter’s $1.25. TWLO’s earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate in each of the trailing four quarters, the average surprise being approximately 14%. For the third quarter, the company anticipates revenues between $1.505 billion and $1.515 billion. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues is pegged at $1.51 billion, indicating an increase of 16.3% from the year-ago quarter’s revenues of $1.30 billion. Factors Likely to Influence TWLO’s Q3 ResultsTwilio’s third-quarter results are likely to reflect gains from sustained digital transformation efforts as enterprises continue to reconfigure their setup for a hybrid operational environment. TWLO’s initiatives to expand its network with independent software vendors and global partners are likely to have positively impacted the third-quarter performance. New product launches, including rich communication services and artificial intelligence (AI) enhancements, particularly with the integration of OpenAI’s Realtime API into Twilio’s platform, are expected to contribute to the to-be-reported-quarter’s results. Its new Conversations Layer includes Conversation Memory, Conversation Orchestrator, Conversation Intelligence, Conversation Relay and Agent Connect. These products are likely to have attracted more customers in the third quarter. Solutions like Twilio Conversations, SendGrid Ads and SendGrid’s Email Validation application programming interface may have contributed to the third-quarter performance. The company’s integration of AI in several communication and segment products is expected to have favored its third-quarter 2025 performance. Nonetheless, its communications business faces pricing and carrier-cost pressure, which is anticipated to have negatively impacted third-quarter profitability. In the second quarter of 2026, the cost of revenues rose to $773.2 million from $625.7 million a year earlier, while GAAP gross margin was about 48% versus roughly 49% in the prior-year quarter. Twilio can pass certain A2P fees through to customers, but network cost changes and product mix can still limit gross margin expansion. Ongoing macroeconomic challenges are likely to have hurt TWLO’s top line in the to-be-reported quarter. Enterprises are postponing their large IT spending plans due to a weakening global economy amid ongoing macroeconomic and geopolitical issues. What the Zacks Model Unveils for TWLOOur proven model predicts an earnings beat for Twilio this season.
