Getting big returns from financial portfolios, whether through stocks, bonds, ETFs, other securities, or a combination of all, is an investor's dream. But for income investors, generating consistent cash flow from each of your liquid investments is your primary focus.
While cash flow can come from bond interest or interest from other types of investments, income investors hone in on dividends. A dividend is the distribution of a company's earnings paid out to shareholders; it's often viewed by its dividend yield, a metric that measures a dividend as a percent of the current stock price. Many academic studies show that dividends account for significant portions of long-term returns, with dividend contributions exceeding one-third of total returns in many cases.
Brixmor Property (BRX - Free Report) is headquartered in New York, and is in the Finance sector. The stock has seen a price change of 20.67% since the start of the year. Currently paying a dividend of $0.31 per share, the company has a dividend yield of 3.89%. In comparison, the REIT and Equity Trust - Retail industry's yield is 3.88%, while the S&P 500's yield is 1.34%.
Looking at dividend growth, the company's current annualized dividend of $1.23 is up 7% from last year. Over the last 5 years, Brixmor Property has increased its dividend 5 times on a year-over-year basis for an average annual increase of 7.56%. Looking ahead, future dividend growth will be dependent on earnings growth and payout ratio, which is the proportion of a company's annual earnings per share that it pays out as a dividend. Brixmor's current payout ratio is 54%, meaning it paid out 54% of its trailing 12-month EPS as dividend.
Looking at this fiscal year, BRX expects solid earnings growth. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 is $2.36 per share, which represents a year-over-year growth rate of 4.89%.
Investors like dividends for a variety of different reasons, from tax advantages and decreasing overall portfolio risk to considerably improving stock investing profits. But, not every company offers a quarterly payout.
Big, established firms that have more secure profits are often seen as the best dividend options, but it's fairly uncommon to see high-growth businesses or tech start-ups offer their stockholders a dividend. Income investors have to be mindful of the fact that high-yielding stocks tend to struggle during periods of rising interest rates. With that in mind, BRX is a compelling investment opportunity. Not only is it a strong dividend play, but the stock currently sits at a Zacks Rank of #3 (Hold).
That split has sent investors hunting through smaller names for value the mega caps stopped offering months ago. James Early, who runs research at Curia Financial and models his stock-picking on Warren Buffett's approach to durable, cash-generating businesses, laid out three small-cap stocks trading under $10 a share, each profitable and built on fundamentals rather than hype.
Mega-cap tech's loss has become small-cap America's gain, and these three names show why.

Part of the appeal of a sub-$10 stock is simple math: a few hundred dollars buys a lot more shares than it would in a $200 name. Fractional shares have made that distinction less important than it used to be, but Early's advice still holds—don't anchor too much on price alone. What matters is whether the business underneath is worth owning.

Aveanna Healthcare Holdings NASDAQ: AVAH provides in-home care for complex and expensive patient cases, with Medicare and Medicaid making up roughly 91% of revenue. Home-based care costs a fraction of hospital monitoring, and insurers have taken notice.
Aveanna Healthcare delivered 16% revenue growth over the past year and raised its guidance twice, evidence that demand is outrunning even management's own expectations. The company operates across dozens of U.S. states.
Early sees this as a potential buyout target rather than a moonshot. At a roughly $2 billion market cap, a larger insurer, home health platform, or private equity firm could easily absorb it. The stock has already climbed more than 120% over the past year, but Early argues that run-up matters less for a company this small: institutions can't buy in size without moving the price, which leaves room for retail investors to get in before Wall Street can.
Healthcare overall has lagged its potential in recent years, overshadowed by AI enthusiasm. But roughly 18% to 19% of U.S. GDP flows through healthcare spending, and an aging population isn't a trend that quickly reverses. That demand tends to hold up even in a downturn, since medical care is one budget line people don't cut.

Genworth Financial NYSE: GNW splits into two very different businesses.
The first is its roughly 82% stake in Enact Holdings NASDAQ: ACT, which sells private mortgage insurance in a market growing about 8% annually. That segment runs at a 55% net profit margin, funding the second bucket: a closed book of long-term care policies written decades ago and badly underpriced, still costing the company $300 million to $400 million a year.
That drag is finite. Genworth trades around a PE of 17, below the S&P 500 average, and the stock has climbed steadily over the past five years as the Enact business has carried the load. Early is drawn to exactly this kind of complexity: a company that looks messier from the outside than it performs on the inside.
Growth here won't be explosive. Early expects something closer to 10% to 12% annually, tracking a mortgage insurance market that grows faster than GDP but isn't reinventing itself. What Genworth has demonstrated, through both rising and falling rate environments, is that the pivot already worked. The stock hasn't moved much with rate swings, and Early argues a softer rate environment ahead, with more housing inventory, could help rather than hurt.

eGain Corporation NASDAQ: EGAN has been around since 1997. Founded by Ashu Roy, the customer relationship management software company went public in 1999, then lost nearly all its value before a reverse split kept it listed. It has quietly stayed profitable for decades on $80 million to $90 million in annual revenue.
Now eGain is repositioning itself as an AI customer service platform, and early data is notable: non-AI customer retention is around 101%, while AI-driven retention is near 116%. Clients include the IRS, JPMorgan Chase & Co NYSE: JPM, and other large enterprises.
The stock has fallen from roughly $15 a year ago to the mid-single digits, tracking the broader software sell-off as the market debates whether AI helps or guts software companies. Early argues the labor-intensive nature of customer service makes AI a net positive here, not a threat, and that eGain's three-decade profitable base offers a floor even if the AI bet takes time to play out. He's still clear-eyed about the risk: this is a micro-cap that can swing sharply for no obvious reason, and he keeps positions like it small, often under 1% of a portfolio.
The Risk and the UpsideThe upside in small caps and micro caps is real: institutions largely can't compete for shares, leaving retail investors an edge that mostly disappears once a company gets bigger. The risk is real, too, and it's larger than most investors assume. Research from Arizona State University professor Hendrik Bessembinder, covering nearly a century of U.S. stock market data, found that just 4% of publicly traded companies accounted for all of the market's net wealth creation above cash returns. The rest, collectively, did no better than holding Treasury bills.
That's the case for keeping any single small-cap bet modest, no matter how strong the story. Stay disciplined on position size, because that's what determines whether a good idea turns into a good outcome.

NEW YORK, July 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gainey McKenna & Egleston announces that a securities class action lawsuit has been filed in the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire on behalf of all persons or entities who purchased or otherwise acquired Planet Fitness, Inc. (“Planet Fitness” or the “Company”) (NYSE: PLNT) securities between November 6, 2025 and May 6, 2026, inclusive (the “Class Period”).
The Complaint alleges that Defendants provided overwhelmingly positive statements to investors while, at the same time, disseminating materially false and misleading statements and/or concealing material adverse facts concerning the true state of Planet Fitness’ customer acquisition and marketing metrics. The Complaint alleges that the Company’s updated marketing messaging was failing to resonate with, and was actively intimidating, its core target demographic of fitness beginners and casual gym-goers. The Complaint continues to allege that as a result, Planet Fitness was experiencing a significant headwind in net member joins during its peak first-quarter sign-up period that rendered its previously issued fiscal 2026 guidance and long term financial targets unachievable.
The Complaint alleges that instead, Planet Fitness would be required to restructure its marketing strategy, losing the gains they praised from continuing the same marketing campaign, and entirely halt the planned Black Card price increase which sale projections were premised upon. The Complaint alleges that such statements absent these material facts caused Plaintiff and other shareholders to purchase Planet Fitness’ securities at artificially inflated prices.
Investors who purchased or otherwise acquired shares of Planet Fitness should contact the Firm prior to the September 14, 2026 lead plaintiff motion deadline. A lead plaintiff is a representative party acting on behalf of other class members in directing the litigation. Investors interested in Transportation - Services stocks are likely familiar with ZTO Express (Cayman) Inc. (ZTO - Free Report) and C.H. Robinson Worldwide (CHRW - Free Report) . But which of these two stocks is more attractive to value investors? We'll need to take a closer look to find out.
There are plenty of strategies for discovering value stocks, but we have found that pairing a strong Zacks Rank with an impressive grade in the Value category of our Style Scores system produces the best returns. The Zacks Rank favors stocks with strong earnings estimate revision trends, and our Style Scores highlight companies with specific traits.
Right now, ZTO Express (Cayman) Inc. is sporting a Zacks Rank of #1 (Strong Buy), while C.H. Robinson Worldwide has a Zacks Rank of #3 (Hold). The Zacks Rank favors stocks that have recently seen positive revisions to their earnings estimates, so investors should rest assured that ZTO has an improving earnings outlook. But this is just one factor that value investors are interested in.
Value investors analyze a variety of traditional, tried-and-true metrics to help find companies that they believe are undervalued at their current share price levels.
Our Value category highlights undervalued companies by looking at a variety of key metrics, including the popular P/E ratio, as well as the P/S ratio, earnings yield, cash flow per share, and a variety of other fundamentals that have been used by value investors for years.
ZTO currently has a forward P/E ratio of 11.80, while CHRW has a forward P/E of 32.68. We also note that ZTO has a PEG ratio of 0.87. This popular metric is similar to the widely-known P/E ratio, with the difference being that the PEG ratio also takes into account the company's expected earnings growth rate. CHRW currently has a PEG ratio of 1.72.
Another notable valuation metric for ZTO is its P/B ratio of 1.49. Investors use the P/B ratio to look at a stock's market value versus its book value, which is defined as total assets minus total liabilities. By comparison, CHRW has a P/B of 13.81.
These are just a few of the metrics contributing to ZTO's Value grade of B and CHRW's Value grade of D.
ZTO is currently sporting an improving earnings outlook, which makes it stick out in our Zacks Rank model. And, based on the above valuation metrics, we feel that ZTO is likely the superior value option right now.
TE Connectivity (TEL - Free Report) is expected to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook gives a good sense of the company's earnings picture, but how the actual results compare to these estimates is a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price.
The stock might move higher if these key numbers top expectations in the upcoming earnings report, which is expected to be released on July 22. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.
While management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call will mostly determine the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations, it's worth having a handicapping insight into the odds of a positive EPS surprise.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis electronics maker is expected to post quarterly earnings of $2.85 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +25.6%.
Revenues are expected to be $4.95 billion, up 9.2% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has remained unchanged over the last 30 days. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.
Investors should keep in mind that an aggregate change may not always reflect the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts.
Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise
Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. This insight is at the core of our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction).
The Zacks Earnings ESP compares the Most Accurate Estimate to the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the quarter; the Most Accurate Estimate is a more recent version of the Zacks Consensus EPS estimate. The idea here is that analysts revising their estimates right before an earnings release have the latest information, which could potentially be more accurate than what they and others contributing to the consensus had predicted earlier.
Thus, a positive or negative Earnings ESP reading theoretically indicates the likely deviation of the actual earnings from the consensus estimate. However, the model's predictive power is significant for positive ESP readings only.
A positive Earnings ESP is a strong predictor of an earnings beat, particularly when combined with a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold). Our research shows that stocks with this combination produce a positive surprise nearly 70% of the time, and a solid Zacks Rank actually increases the predictive power of Earnings ESP.
Please note that a negative Earnings ESP reading is not indicative of an earnings miss. Our research shows that it is difficult to predict an earnings beat with any degree of confidence for stocks with negative Earnings ESP readings and/or Zacks Rank of 4 (Sell) or 5 (Strong Sell).
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for TE Connectivity? For TE Connectivity, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +0.18%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #2.
So, this combination indicates that TE Connectivity will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that TE Connectivity would post earnings of $2.7 per share when it actually produced earnings of $2.73, delivering a surprise of +1.11%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates four times.
Bottom LineAn earnings beat or miss may not be the sole basis for a stock moving higher or lower. Many stocks end up losing ground despite an earnings beat due to other factors that disappoint investors. Similarly, unforeseen catalysts help a number of stocks gain despite an earnings miss.
That said, betting on stocks that are expected to beat earnings expectations does increase the odds of success. This is why it's worth checking a company's Earnings ESP and Zacks Rank ahead of its quarterly release. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.
TE Connectivity appears a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.
Expected Results of an Industry PlayerVicor (VICR - Free Report) , another stock in the Zacks Electronics - Miscellaneous Components industry, is expected to report earnings per share of $0.62 for the quarter ended June 2026. This estimate points to a year-over-year change of -31.9%. Revenues for the quarter are expected to be $138.7 million, down 1.7% from the year-ago quarter.
Over the last 30 days, the consensus EPS estimate for Vicor has been revised 4.2% up to the current level. Nevertheless, the company now has an Earnings ESP of 0.00%, reflecting an equal Most Accurate Estimate.
This Earnings ESP, combined with its Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Vicor will beat the consensus EPS estimate. Over the last four quarters, the company surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times.

Key Takeaways IART gained 52.1% in a year, driven by growth across Specialty Surgery and Tissue Reconstruction. IART reported Q1 2026 EPS above guidance as margins benefited from favorable mix and transformation savings. IART faces risks from high debt, trade uncertainty and the FDA warning letter despite ongoing improvements. Integra LifeSciences’ (IART - Free Report) shares have surged 52.1% over the past year, showing impressive momentum. It has significantly outperformed the industry’s 5.1% decline and the S&P 500 composite’s 23.3% gain.
With healthy fundamentals and strong growth opportunities, this Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) company appears to be a solid wealth creator for its investors at the moment.
Based in Plainsboro, NJ, Integra develops, manufactures and markets surgical implants and medical instruments. The company’s Specialty Surgery segment consists of neurosurgery, instruments and ENT surgical solutions, augmented by the 2024 acquisition of Acclarent. Its Tissue Reconstruction segment focuses on wound reconstruction, surgical reconstruction and peripheral nerve repair.
Key Catalysts for IART’s GrowthIntegra’s share price is trending upward, prompted by strong prospects in both the reporting segments. In first-quarter 2026, Specialty Surgery revenues totaled $283.1 million, with global neurosurgery sales up 1.9% organically on demand for Certas Plus, CUSA and BactiSeal, as supply reliability and fulfillment improved.
Capital equipment sales increased in the low single digits, supported by continued strength in the capital funnel, including double-digit growth in CUSA and CereLink. Acclarent remains a key part of the ENT platform by expanding the portfolio across sinus and eustachian tube balloon technologies and navigation, which can broaden addressable markets over time.
Tissue Reconstruction revenues grew 6.4% organically, reflecting double-digit growth in Integra Skin, mid-double-digit growth in DuraSorb and the PriMatrix launch. Private label sales grew 7.1% on a favorable prior-year comparison.
The investors are also impressed with the company’s multi-year work on quality, compliance, capacity and transformation, which remains central to restoring predictable execution. In line with this, first-quarter adjusted EPS was $0.54, above the high end of guidance, supported by favorable mix and transformation savings, with adjusted gross margin of 64.1% and adjusted EBITDA margin of 19.4%. Integra continues to advance the PMA strategy for both SurgiMend and DuraSorb for implant-based breast reconstruction.

Factors That May Offset IART’s GainsIntegra’s position looks quite tight from the liquidity point of view, having ended the first quarter of 2026 with net debt of $1.60 billion and cash and cash equivalents of $236.8 million. The company has $39 million in current debt and $1.87 billion in total debt on its balance sheet.
The company flagged continuing geopolitical and trade uncertainty, which can raise supplier costs and affect customer purchasing patterns. The FDA warning letter issued in December 2024 continues to frame execution risk across multiple facilities. While the company has adopted a risk-based approach and continues to advance its transformation and operational resiliency initiatives, execution delays could still lead to disruption, higher costs and slower product flow.
A Glance at IART’s EstimatesIn the past 30 days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 earnings per share (EPS) has moved north to $2.45.
Revenues are projected to grow 2.4% to $1.67 billion in 2026, while the same for 2027 is expected to reach $1.73 billion (up 3.3%).
Other Key PicksSome other top-ranked stocks in the broader medical space are Globus Medical (GMED - Free Report) , Alcon (ALC - Free Report) and Phibro Animal Health (PAHC - Free Report) .

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Knight-Swift?For Knight-Swift, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +0.66%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #1.
So, this combination indicates that Knight-Swift will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Knight-Swift would post earnings of $0.09 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.09, delivering no surprise.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates just once.
Knight-Swift appears a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

Getting big returns from financial portfolios, whether through stocks, bonds, ETFs, other securities, or a combination of all, is an investor's dream. But when you're an income investor, your primary focus is generating consistent cash flow from each of your liquid investments.
While cash flow can come from bond interest or interest from other types of investments, income investors hone in on dividends. A dividend is that coveted distribution of a company's earnings paid out to shareholders, and investors often view it by its dividend yield, a metric that measures the dividend as a percent of the current stock price. Many academic studies show that dividends account for significant portions of long-term returns, with dividend contributions exceeding one-third of total returns in many cases.
Based in Gulfport, Hancock Whitney (HWC - Free Report) is in the Finance sector, and so far this year, shares have seen a price change of 19.38%. Currently paying a dividend of $0.50 per share, the company has a dividend yield of 2.63%. In comparison, the Banks - Southeast industry's yield is 1.96%, while the S&P 500's yield is 1.34%.
Looking at dividend growth, the company's current annualized dividend of $2.00 is up 11.1% from last year. Over the last 5 years, Hancock Whitney has increased its dividend 3 times on a year-over-year basis for an average annual increase of 11.55%. Looking ahead, future dividend growth will be dependent on earnings growth and payout ratio, which is the proportion of a company's annual earnings per share that it pays out as a dividend. Hancock Whitney's current payout ratio is 34%, meaning it paid out 34% of its trailing 12-month EPS as dividend.
Looking at this fiscal year, HWC expects solid earnings growth. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 is $6.47 per share, representing a year-over-year earnings growth rate of 13.11%.
From greatly improving stock investing profits and reducing overall portfolio risk to providing tax advantages, investors like dividends for a variety of different reasons. However, not all companies offer a quarterly payout.
High-growth firms or tech start-ups, for example, rarely provide their shareholders a dividend, while larger, more established companies that have more secure profits are often seen as the best dividend options. Income investors must be conscious of the fact that high-yielding stocks tend to struggle during periods of rising interest rates. That said, they can take comfort from the fact that HWC is not only an attractive dividend play, but is also a compelling investment opportunity with a Zacks Rank of #1 (Strong Buy).

Cytokinetics (CYTK - Free Report) closed the last trading session at $81.93, gaining 8.9% over the past four weeks, but there could be plenty of upside left in the stock if short-term price targets set by Wall Street analysts are any guide. The mean price target of $106.95 indicates a 30.5% upside potential.
The average comprises 21 short-term price targets ranging from a low of $83.00 to a high of $146.00, with a standard deviation of $14.53. While the lowest estimate indicates an increase of 1.3% from the current price level, the most optimistic estimate points to a 78.2% upside. More than the range, one should note the standard deviation here, as it helps understand the variability of the estimates. The smaller the standard deviation, the greater the agreement among analysts.
While the consensus price target is a much-coveted metric for investors, solely banking on this metric to make an investment decision may not be wise at all. That's because the ability and unbiasedness of analysts in setting price targets have long been questionable.
But, for CYTK, an impressive average price target is not the only indicator of a potential upside. Strong agreement among analysts about the company's ability to report better earnings than they predicted earlier strengthens this view. While a positive trend in earnings estimate revisions doesn't gauge how much a stock could gain, it has proven to be powerful in predicting an upside.
Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise
Here's What You Should Know About Analysts' Price TargetsAccording to researchers at several universities across the globe, a price target is one of many pieces of information about a stock that misleads investors far more often than it guides. In fact, empirical research shows that price targets set by several analysts, irrespective of the extent of agreement, rarely indicate where the price of a stock could actually be heading.
While Wall Street analysts have deep knowledge of a company's fundamentals and the sensitivity of its business to economic and industry issues, many of them tend to set overly optimistic price targets. Are you wondering why?
They usually do that to drum up interest in shares of companies that their firms either have existing business relationships with or are looking to be associated with. In other words, business incentives of firms covering a stock often result in inflated price targets set by analysts.
However, a tight clustering of price targets, which is represented by a low standard deviation, indicates that analysts have a high degree of agreement about the direction and magnitude of a stock's price movement. While that doesn't necessarily mean the stock will hit the average price target, it could be a good starting point for further research aimed at identifying the potential fundamental driving forces.
That said, while investors should not entirely ignore price targets, making an investment decision solely based on them could lead to disappointing ROI. So, price targets should always be treated with a high degree of skepticism.
Here's Why There Could be Plenty of Upside Left in CYTKThere has been increasing optimism among analysts lately about the company's earnings prospects, as indicated by strong agreement among them in revising EPS estimates higher. And that could be a legitimate reason to expect an upside in the stock. After all, empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements.
Over the last 30 days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current year has increased 1%, as two estimates have moved higher compared to no negative revision.
Moreover, CYTK currently has a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), which means it is in the top 20% of more than 4,000 stocks that we rank based on four factors related to earnings estimates. Given an impressive externally-audited track record, this is a more conclusive indication of the stock's potential upside in the near term. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>> .
Therefore, while the consensus price target may not be a reliable indicator of how much CYTK could gain, the direction of price movement it implies does appear to be a good guide.
Cytokinetics (CYTK - Free Report) could be a solid choice for investors given its recent upgrade to a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy). An upward trend in earnings estimates -- one of the most powerful forces impacting stock prices -- has triggered this rating change.
A company's changing earnings picture is at the core of the Zacks rating. The system tracks the Zacks Consensus Estimate -- the consensus measure of EPS estimates from the sell-side analysts covering the stock -- for the current and following years.
The power of a changing earnings picture in determining near-term stock price movements makes the Zacks rating system highly useful for individual investors, since it can be difficult to make decisions based on rating upgrades by Wall Street analysts. These are mostly driven by subjective factors that are hard to see and measure in real time.
Therefore, the Zacks rating upgrade for Cytokinetics basically reflects positivity about its earnings outlook that could translate into buying pressure and an increase in its stock price.
Most Powerful Force Impacting Stock PricesThe change in a company's future earnings potential, as reflected in earnings estimate revisions, and the near-term price movement of its stock are proven to be strongly correlated. The influence of institutional investors has a partial contribution to this relationship, as these big professionals use earnings and earnings estimates to calculate the fair value of a company's shares. An increase or decrease in earnings estimates in their valuation models simply results in higher or lower fair value for a stock, and institutional investors typically buy or sell it. Their transaction of large amounts of shares then leads to price movement for the stock.
For Cytokinetics, rising earnings estimates and the consequent rating upgrade fundamentally mean an improvement in the company's underlying business. And investors' appreciation of this improving business trend should push the stock higher.
Harnessing the Power of Earnings Estimate RevisionsAs empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock movements, tracking such revisions for making an investment decision could be truly rewarding. Here is where the tried-and-tested Zacks Rank stock-rating system plays an important role, as it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions.
The Zacks Rank stock-rating system, which uses four factors related to earnings estimates to classify stocks into five groups, ranging from Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) to Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell), has an impressive externally-audited track record, with Zacks Rank #1 stocks generating an average annual return of +25% since 1988. Earnings Estimate Revisions for CytokineticsFor the fiscal year ending December 2026, this biopharmaceutical company is expected to earn -$6.22 per share, which is unchanged compared with the year-ago reported number.
Analysts have been steadily raising their estimates for Cytokinetics. Over the past three months, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the company has increased 1.3%.
Bottom LineUnlike the overly optimistic Wall Street analysts whose rating systems tend to be weighted toward favorable recommendations, the Zacks rating system maintains an equal proportion of "buy" and "sell" ratings for its entire universe of more than 4,000 stocks at any point in time. Irrespective of market conditions, only the top 5% of the Zacks-covered stocks get a "Strong Buy" rating and the next 15% get a "Buy" rating. So, the placement of a stock in the top 20% of the Zacks-covered stocks indicates its superior earnings estimate revision feature, making it a solid candidate for producing market-beating returns in the near term.

It doesn't matter your age or experience: taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals for all investors. Luckily, Zacks Premium offers several different ways to do both.
The popular research service can help you become a smarter, more self-assured investor, giving you access to daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens.
It also includes access to the Zacks Style Scores.
What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores is a unique set of guidelines that rates stocks based on three popular investing types, and were developed as complementary indicators for the Zacks Rank. This combination helps investors choose securities with the highest chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.
Based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics, each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F. The better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform; an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on.
The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:
Value ScoreFinding good stocks at good prices, and discovering which companies are trading under their true value, are what value investors like to focus on. So, the Value Style Score takes into account ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and a host of other multiples to highlight the most attractive and discounted stocks.
Growth ScoreWhile good value is important, growth investors are more focused on a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score takes projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow into account to uncover stocks that will see long-term, sustainable growth.
Momentum ScoreMomentum investors, who live by the saying "the trend is your friend," are most interested in taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Utilizing one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, among other factors, the Momentum Style Score can help determine favorable times to buy high-momentum stocks.
VGM ScoreIf you like to use all three kinds of investing, then the VGM Score is for you. It's a combination of all Style Scores, and is an important indicator to use with the Zacks Rank. The VGM Score rates each stock on their shared weighted styles, narrowing down the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum.
How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank The Zacks Rank, which is a proprietary stock-rating model, employs earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings expectations, to make building a winning portfolio easier.
#1 (Strong Buy) stocks have produced an unmatched +23.94% average annual return since 1988, which is more than double the S&P 500's performance over the same time frame. However, the Zacks Rank examines a ton of stocks, and there can be more than 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, and another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.
This totals more than 800 top-rated stocks, and it can be overwhelming to try and pick the best stocks for you and your portfolio.
That's where the Style Scores come in.
To have the best chance of big returns, you'll want to always consider stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B, which will give you the highest probability of success. If you're looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, it's important they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.
Since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank, the direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy.
Here's an example: a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one with Style Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings outlook, and a bigger chance its share price will decrease too.
Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

The trillion-dollar space economy has stopped being a science-fiction talking point. Instead, it’s starting to show up in earnings reports, ETF flows, and defense budgets.
On the July 15 episode of Goldman Sachs Exchanges, The Growth of the Space Industry, host Allison Nathan told listeners the sector sits at about $625 billion today and that hitting the trillion-dollar mark is “a matter of when, not if.” The consensus timing she cited: the mid-2030s or 2040s, with falling launch costs doing most of the heavy lifting.
Her framing of the ownership shift is the more investable insight.
“About 80% today is driven by commercial companies. A generation ago, it was 80% government,” Nathan said, describing “a flywheel effect of attracting more investment and development.” A guest on the show walked through what that commercial layer already looks like in everyday life.
iPhone SOS functions in remote locations, Starlink delivering “Wi-Fi during your flight at basically real-time speeds that you would get over broadband internet,” and more frequently refreshed Google Maps imagery from earth-observation constellations. Further out, the guest pointed to space stations, a lunar base, and “ultimately making humanity multi-planetary.”
How Investors Are Playing the Theme The cleanest thematic wrapper is the Procure Space ETF (NASDAQ: UFO), which holds 47 equity positions spanning satellite communications, launch, earth observation, and aerospace primes. Net assets stand at $749.3 million, with top weights in Planet Labs (6.16%), Viasat (5.90%), Globalstar (5.28%), Sirius XM (5.05%), and Rocket Lab (5.02%).
UFO is up 18.54% year to date and 52.71% over the past year, though the last month has been rough, with the fund down 13.43% as high-beta space names sold off. Over five years, the ETF has returned 70.72%. For readers who want the flywheel exposure without the single-stock volatility of pre-revenue satellite operators, that basket is the natural starting point. Nathan’s point about commercial capture also lines up with the broader macro backdrop: manufacturing value added grew 1.3% in Q1 2026, reversing a -2.6% trough in Q1 2025, while professional and technical services (where R&D and engineering sit) added $148.9 billion year over year.
Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Firefly Aerospace didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.
Pure-Play Names Behind the Trend The direct-to-device broadband thesis Nathan referenced runs straight through AST SpaceMobile (NASDAQ: ASTS).
The company reported Q1 2026 revenue of $14.7 million, up 1,952% year over year. It reaffirmed full-year revenue guidance of $150 million to $200 million, while maintaining its target of approximately 45 BlueBird satellites in orbit by year-end. CEO Abel Avellan told investors AST is “accelerating manufacturing, regulatory progress, commercial partnerships, and government programs,” supported by approximately $3.5 billion in cash and partnerships with nearly 60 mobile network operators covering more than 3 billion subscribers. Investors can review the full disclosure in AST’s Form 8-K filings on SEC.gov.
On the launch and defense side, Firefly Aerospace (NASDAQ: FLY | FLY Price Prediction) reported Q1 2026 revenue of $80.88 million, up 44.8% year over year, and exceeded analyst consensus by 7.94%. CEO Jason Kim highlighted the company’s selection to support the U.S. Space Force’s Golden Dome space-based interceptor program and a $109 million engineering change proposal under the FORGE Enterprise OPIR Services contract. Firefly reaffirmed full-year 2026 revenue guidance of $420 million to $450 million.
For a broader shortlist of AI-connected infrastructure names benefiting from these same tailwinds, our team’s 7 Stocks Powering the AI Boom (That Aren’t Chipmakers) research report is a useful cross-reference, since satellite and edge-compute buildouts are increasingly bundled with data-center demand.
What to Watch Next Nathan’s central variable is launch cost. Every step down the cost-per-kilogram curve widens the addressable market for satellite operators, imaging companies, and eventually lunar logistics. Keep an eye on cadence at Rocket Lab and Firefly, BlueBird deployment milestones at AST, and whether the recent one-month drawdown in UFO marks a reset or the start of a longer digestion phase. If the guest is right that the transformation is “absolutely remarkable” and still early, pullbacks in the basket will look very different in the rearview mirror than they do on the tape today.

Investors looking for stocks in the Building Products - Home Builders sector might want to consider either Meritage Homes (MTH) or NVR (NVR). But which of these two stocks is more attractive to value investors?
Banc of California (BANC - Free Report) is expected to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook gives a good sense of the company's earnings picture, but how the actual results compare to these estimates is a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price.
The stock might move higher if these key numbers top expectations in the upcoming earnings report. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.
While management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call will mostly determine the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations, it's worth having a handicapping insight into the odds of a positive EPS surprise.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis banking service and lending company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $0.40 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +29%.
Revenues are expected to be $297.02 million, up 8.9% from the year-ago quarter.
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Banc of California? For Banc of California, the Most Accurate Estimate is lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bearish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -5.47%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Banc of California will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue?Analysts often consider to what extent a company has been able to match consensus estimates in the past while calculating their estimates for its future earnings. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Banc of California would post earnings of $0.38 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.39, delivering a surprise of +2.63%.
Banc of California doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.
An Industry Player's Expected ResultsBOK Financial (BOKF - Free Report) , another stock in the Zacks Banks - Southwest industry, is expected to report earnings per share of $2.56 for the quarter ended June 2026. This estimate points to a year-over-year change of +16.9%. Revenues for the quarter are expected to be $558.9 million, up 4.4% from the year-ago quarter.
The consensus EPS estimate for BOK Financial has remained unchanged over the last 30 days. However, a higher Most Accurate Estimate has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +3.52%.
When combined with a Zacks Rank of #3 (Hold), this Earnings ESP indicates that BOK Financial will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate. The company beat consensus EPS estimates in each of the trailing four quarters.

Wall Street expects a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when GE Vernova (GEV - Free Report) reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. While this widely-known consensus outlook is important in gauging the company's earnings picture, a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.
The earnings report, which is expected to be released on July 22, might help the stock move higher if these key numbers are better than expectations. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.
While management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call will mostly determine the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations, it's worth having a handicapping insight into the odds of a positive EPS surprise.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis the energy business spun off from General Electric is expected to post quarterly earnings of $3.17 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +70.4%.
Revenues are expected to be $10.77 billion, up 18.2% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 1.41% higher over the last 30 days to the current level.
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for GE Vernova? For GE Vernova, the Most Accurate Estimate is lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bearish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -8.69%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #2.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that GE Vernova will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.

GE Vernova (GEV - Free Report) is slated to release second-quarter 2026 results on July 22, before market open. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the to-be-reported quarter’s EPS and revenues is pegged at $3.17 and $10.77 billion, respectively.
The earnings estimate for the to-be-reported quarter has moved up 7 cents over the past 60 days. In the year-ago period, the company reported EPS of $1.86. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for quarterly revenues indicates an 18.2% increase from the year-ago quarter’s figure.

For full-year 2026, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for GEV’s revenues is pegged at $45.36 billion, implying an increase of 19.2% year over year. The consensus mark for full-year EPS is pinned at $30.65, calling for a 73.3% year-over-year expansion. Moreover, the consensus mark for 2026 EPS points to a 0.8% upward revision over the past 60 days.
GEV’s earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate in three of the trailing four quarters (missing the mark once). The average beat is 83.6%.
Factors Likely to Shape the Upcoming ResultsWe expect the company’s performance in the to-be-reported quarter to have been aided by the rising power, infrastructure and metal demand for AI data centers. AI-linked power demand and strong project wins should boost results. On the back of tailwinds like significant orders and backlog growth, margin expansion and cash generation, second-quarter performance is likely to have gotten a big lift.
The sharp rise in electricity demand owing to the rapid growth of data centers and the accelerating adoption of artificial intelligence is likely to drive results in the June quarter. This trend is creating wider growth opportunities for GE Vernova across its gas turbine business, grid solutions and broader power infrastructure, as governments and companies invest in more resilient and scalable energy systems to support increasing power consumption.
Favorable pricing and higher volumes are likely to have boosted EBITDA margins in the second quarter. For the second quarter of 2026, GEV expects continued year-over-year revenue growth and adjusted EBITDA margin expansion.
In the Power segment, the company expects continued strong growth in Gas equipment orders. We also anticipate 15% to 17% revenue growth driven by both higher equipment and services and an EBITDA margin of approximately 17% to 18%. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for power revenues is currently pegged at $5.5 billion, up 10.8% sequentially.
In the Electrification segment, management anticipates continued solid equipment orders with healthy margins. Second-quarter Electrification revenues are likely to be between $3.3 billion and $3.5 billion, per the company. GEV also expects strong year-over-year EBITDA margin expansion from higher volume, productivity and favorable pricing. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for power revenues is currently pegged at $3.5 billion, up 16.7% sequentially.
We also expect the company to continue adopting a shareholder-friendly stance, driven by its financial strength. Despite these positives, the offshore wind business remains a notable challenge. Project delays, higher costs and ongoing supply-chain issues continue to pressure performance. For the second quarter of 2026, management expects Wind revenues to decline at a mid-teens year-over-year rate due to lower onshore equipment deliveries, while EBITDA losses are projected between $200 million and $300 million. The ongoing economic turbulence also remains a key headwind.
Price Performance and ValuationShares of GE Vernova have surged roughly 63% year to date, handily outperforming the Zacks Alternate Energy – Other industry, ReNew Energy Global (RNW - Free Report) and Montauk Renewables (MNTK - Free Report) .

Investment ThesisGE Vernova is benefiting from the widening gap between global demand for gas turbines and the industry's available supply, as utilities and independent power producers increasingly seek dependable power generation capacity to meet rapidly rising electricity demand.
GE Vernova stands to gain from global nuclear power energy momentum, particularly through its strong forte in producing Small Modular Reactors. GEV cemented its standing as one of the biggest long-term winners in the AI-boosted energy boom across nuclear, natural gas, electrification and grid expansion. GE Vernova is focusing on improving profitability in the wind division by tightening cost management, refining its project mix and enhancing operational efficiency.
ConclusionGE Vernova is well-positioned for continued success. The company’s growth outlook for the second quarter is highly impressive. Strong Electrification and Power revenues should aid results, despite weakness in its Wind segment.
Backed by strong fundamentals, GEV looks like a compelling buy at current levels. The stock carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) at present. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

Artificial intelligence stocks have spent much of this year whipsawing between optimism and doubt. Investors embraced companies building AI infrastructure, then abruptly questioned whether too much computing capacity was coming online too quickly.
That shift hit neocloud providers like CoreWeave (NASDAQ:CRWV), Nebius Group (NASDAQ:NBIS | NBIS Price Prediction), and IREN (NASDAQ:IREN) especially hard because their businesses depend on renting cutting-edge GPU clusters to AI developers. If hyperscalers ended up with excess capacity, the conventional wisdom believed specialized providers would lose their competitive edge.
But a new bottom-up model from Morgan Stanley suggests the market focused on the wrong risk. Instead of oversupply, the next several years may be defined by one of the largest infrastructure buildouts the technology industry has ever attempted.
The AI Buildout Is Only Accelerating The investment bank estimates total compute capacity across the five major hyperscalers will climb from 30.5 gigawatts in 2025 to 116.6 gigawatts by 2028. That is nearly a fourfold increase in only three years. Every one of those additional 80 gigawatts must be designed, financed, and constructed from scratch, translating into an estimated $4 trillion to $8 trillion of capital spending between now and 2028.
The Morgan Stanley analysis illustrates just how ambitious those plans are.
Company 2025 Compute Capacity 2028 Compute Capacity % Increase Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) 13.8 GW 35.8 GW 159% Google 5.0 GW 31.6 GW 532% Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) 7.5 GW 20.3 GW 171% Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) 3.5 GW 21.2 GW 506% SpaceX (NASDAQ:SPCX) 0.7 GW 7.8 GW 1,014% Hyperscaler Compute Capacity 30.5 GW 116.6 GW 282% Source: Morgan Stanley bottom-up hyperscaler compute model.
Those numbers destroy the excess compute bear narrative that crushed AI infrastructure stocks earlier this year. Demand doesn’t expand fourfold over three years if the industry is drowning in unused capacity.

First-quarter revenue expanded 684% year over year, while management reiterated expectations for a $7 billion to $9 billion annualized revenue run rate by the end of the year. Longer term, the company has outlined a path toward $51 billion in annual revenue by 2030 based solely on the infrastructure it owns.
Today, that growth story became even more compelling. Nebius announced a new asset-light infrastructure partnership model in which third-party data center owners finance new facilities while Nebius contributes its AI cloud platform, customer relationships, and operating expertise.
The arrangement allows Nebius to expand into new regions without tying up billions of dollars on its balance sheet. Instead of funding every new data center itself, the company can generate recurring licensing fees and revenue-sharing income while partners supply the capital. That dramatically increases the pace at which Nebius can scale and gives management another growth lever beyond simply adding company-owned infrastructure.
Key Takeaway In short, the bear case against neocloud providers rested on two assumptions: AI demand would cool, and companies like Nebius would struggle to finance enough infrastructure to keep growing. Morgan Stanley’s compute model challenges the first assumption by projecting hyperscaler capacity to jump from 30.5 gigawatts to 116.6 gigawatts by 2028. Nebius’s new partnership model addresses the second by removing much of the capital burden associated with expansion.
Granted, execution risk remains, and Nebius still needs to deliver on its ambitious growth targets. But if Morgan Stanley’s projections prove accurate, the market’s 35% sell-off of Nebius stock increasingly looks like a reaction to a problem that never existed. For patient investors looking beyond the next quarter, that disconnect may be where the opportunity lies.

Investors interested in Electronics - Miscellaneous Products stocks are likely familiar with Daktronics (DAKT - Free Report) and Garmin (GRMN - Free Report) . But which of these two companies is the best option for those looking for undervalued stocks? Let's take a closer look.
There are plenty of strategies for discovering value stocks, but we have found that pairing a strong Zacks Rank with an impressive grade in the Value category of our Style Scores system produces the best returns. The Zacks Rank is a proven strategy that targets companies with positive earnings estimate revision trends, while our Style Scores work to grade companies based on specific traits.
Daktronics has a Zacks Rank of #2 (Buy), while Garmin has a Zacks Rank of #3 (Hold) right now. This system places an emphasis on companies that have seen positive earnings estimate revisions, so investors should feel comfortable knowing that DAKT is likely seeing its earnings outlook improve to a greater extent. But this is just one piece of the puzzle for value investors.
Value investors also try to analyze a wide range of traditional figures and metrics to help determine whether a company is undervalued at its current share price levels.
Our Value category grades stocks based on a number of key metrics, including the tried-and-true P/E ratio, the P/S ratio, earnings yield, and cash flow per share, as well as a variety of other fundamentals that value investors frequently use.
DAKT currently has a forward P/E ratio of 16.40, while GRMN has a forward P/E of 25.32. We also note that DAKT has a PEG ratio of 0.66. This popular figure is similar to the widely-used P/E ratio, but the PEG ratio also considers a company's expected EPS growth rate. GRMN currently has a PEG ratio of 2.85.
Another notable valuation metric for DAKT is its P/B ratio of 3.19. The P/B ratio is used to compare a stock's market value with its book value, which is defined as total assets minus total liabilities. For comparison, GRMN has a P/B of 5.02.
These metrics, and several others, help DAKT earn a Value grade of B, while GRMN has been given a Value grade of D.
DAKT stands above GRMN thanks to its solid earnings outlook, and based on these valuation figures, we also feel that DAKT is the superior value option right now.
Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico NYSE: PAC said second-quarter 2026 earnings improved despite weaker passenger traffic, as tariff adjustments, directly operated commercial businesses and the initial consolidation of Cross Border Xpress helped offset declines across parts of its airport network.
Chief Executive Officer Raul Revuelta said total passenger traffic across GAP’s 14 airports fell 5.6% from the second quarter of 2025. Even so, revenue excluding construction services rose 4.9%, EBITDA increased 8.4% to MXN 6 billion, and EBITDA margin expanded 230 basis points to 69.3%.
Get PAC alerts:
“While we are not satisfied with the current traffic performance, this quarter demonstrates that GAP is increasingly capable of protecting earnings and generating growth through multiple complementary revenue streams,” Revuelta said.
Traffic Pressured by Jamaica, Puerto Vallarta and Airfare Trends Revuelta attributed the passenger decline to several factors in both Mexico and Jamaica. In Jamaica, he said the company continues to feel the impact of Hurricane Melissa, with hotel capacity along the main tourist corridor still below pre-storm levels. He said hotel reopenings point to an extended recovery through the second half of the year.
In Mexico, Revuelta said airlines managed capacity in response to economic conditions, while rising jet fuel costs pressured airfares. He also cited security concerns affecting international leisure demand for certain beach destinations, including Puerto Vallarta, where international passenger traffic fell 27% during the quarter. GAP is working with airlines and regional tourism stakeholders to rebuild connectivity and travel confidence, he said.
Guadalajara was an exception during the quarter. The city hosted four of five FIFA World Cup matches in June, and Revuelta said Guadalajara Airport successfully handled additional charter flights, national teams, delegations and fans while maintaining normal operations. Traffic at the airport rose 6%, though he said that was partly offset by temporary softness at other GAP airports during the tournament.
Commercial Businesses Drive Non-Aeronautical Growth Aeronautical revenue declined 3.2%, primarily because of lower passenger traffic in Mexico and Jamaica and a 10.9% appreciation of the Mexican peso, which negatively affected the translation of U.S. dollar revenue and international passenger charges. Revuelta said the decline was partly offset by the gradual implementation of maximum tariffs approved for the 2025-2029 regulatory period in Mexico.
Non-aeronautical revenue rose 23.9%, helped by growth in businesses operated directly by GAP and the consolidation of Cross Border Xpress, or CBX, beginning May 1. Excluding CBX, directly operated business lines increased 17% despite lower passenger traffic.
Cargo and bonded warehouse operations grew 22%. Advertising increased 58%. Hotel operations rose 27%. Convenience stores grew 11%. Parking increased 9%. Revuelta said the results show GAP’s commercial strategy “does not solely depend on passengers volume.” He said duty-free and VIP lounges, which are more exposed to international leisure traffic and foreign exchange, remained under pressure but should improve as international traffic recovers.
CBX generated MXN 168 million in revenue during May and June, with more than 626,000 passengers using the facility in both directions. Revuelta said that represented average revenue of $42.8 per passenger, in line with company expectations. He said CBX traffic remained below the prior year but that pricing and the commercial model were resilient.
Guidance Updated for 2026 GAP updated its annual outlook to reflect the CBX consolidation, internalization of technical assistance services, current traffic trends and investment progress. The company now expects passenger traffic to range from a 3% decline to flat growth for 2026. Revuelta said the forecast assumes gradual improvement in the second half but does not assume all airports return to growth at the same time or that Puerto Vallarta and Montego Bay fully recover this year.
The company expects aeronautical revenue to increase 1% to 4%, supported by approved tariffs in Mexico. Non-aeronautical revenue is expected to grow 21% to 24%, driven by GAP-operated businesses and CBX. EBITDA is expected to rise 10% to 12%, with an EBITDA margin of about 67%, plus or minus one percentage point. Revuelta said CapEx is expected to be around MXN 4 billion.
In response to analyst questions, Revuelta said June traffic was affected by higher airfares during the World Cup and by substitution of typical business and leisure travelers with tournament-related passengers. He said some domestic leisure demand appeared to shift into July, and additional seats and route openings should support the second half.
Management Addresses Tariffs, FIBRA and 2027 Outlook Asked about tariff compliance, Revuelta said GAP reached 90% fulfillment of the maximum tariff in the first six months and expects to be around 95% by year-end. He said tariffs changed again on July 1 at Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta, with domestic passenger charges increasing an additional 7%.
Revuelta said it is still early to provide a 2027 traffic growth range. He cited oil prices and the war in Iran as factors that could affect airline costs and capacity, as well as uncertainty around the proposed Viva and Volaris merger. Still, he said GAP expects growth in coming years and noted that Jamaica hotel capacity is trending toward normalization by the end of 2026.
Chief Financial Officer Saul Villarreal said the company is continuing the approval process for FIBRA GAP, a vehicle intended to subscribe a minority equity interest in the 12 Mexican airport concession areas. Villarreal said the structure is expected to be tax transparent at the Mexican airport level, but GAP would continue paying taxes as a regular company. He said management does not expect a permanent change in GAP’s effective tax rate, though there could be a temporary decrease during 2026 and 2027 due to the tax shield of interest.
Villarreal also said GAP expects to make two dividend distributions this year, with one potentially in the current quarter and another in the final quarter. The shareholders meeting approved a distribution of MXN 0.2080 per ordinary share, he said.
Asked whether GAP would offer broad concessions or discounts to airlines to support traffic, Revuelta said the company is not considering general discounts. He said GAP may provide specific support on a case-by-case basis when routes face low load factors or when airport connectivity is at risk.

Wall Street expects a year-over-year decline in earnings on higher revenues when Rogers Communication (RCI - Free Report) reports results for the quarter ended June 2026.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis communications and media company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $0.79 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of -3.7%.
Revenues are expected to be $4.1 billion, up 8.7% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 2.67% lower over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.
Investors should keep in mind that the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts may not always get reflected in the aggregate change.
Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise
Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. Our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) -- has this insight at its core.
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Rogers Communication? For Rogers Communication, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +0.25%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #4.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Rogers Communication will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Rogers Communication would post earnings of $0.73 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.74, delivering a surprise of +1.37%.
Rogers Communication doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

The digital gold rush is rapidly giving way to the artificial intelligence land grab. For years, Bitcoin miners amassed vast power portfolios to run high-energy operations. Today, that specific electrical capacity sits at the precise bottleneck that is starving the world's largest technology firms. Power is the new premium real estate, and organizations controlling the grid connection hold the ultimate leverage.
CleanSpark NASDAQ: CLSK just weaponized this leverage, securing a $6.6 billion, 20-year AI data center lease that decouples its valuation from cryptocurrency volatility. By locking in $330 million in expected annual net operating income, CleanSpark forces Wall Street to aggressively reprice its stock. Once a cyclical miner, the company is rapidly transforming into a premier digital infrastructure landlord.

Cashing in on the High-Performance Compute BoomWhen evaluating infrastructure companies, predictability is everything. CleanSpark recently executed a 20-year triple-net lease at the Sandersville, Georgia, campus. The agreement designates 175 megawatts of critical IT load for high-performance computing and AI workloads.
For investors unfamiliar with commercial real estate terminology, a triple-net lease requires the tenant to pay property expenses, including real estate taxes, building insurance, and maintenance. The triple net lease structure shields CleanSpark from operational cost creep. Management projects a near 100% net operating income contribution margin from this arrangement, generating an average of $330 million in annual cash flow once deliveries begin in late 2027.
The identity of the tenant remains officially undisclosed, but CleanSpark notes that the partner is a high-investment-grade global technology entity.
Recent market whispers suggest Meta Platforms NASDAQ: META was in advanced discussions for capacity in Sandersville, adding serious weight to the underlying credit quality of the lease.
This specific catalyst caused a severe divergence in the sector. While CleanSpark shares rose almost 9% on July 14, direct competitors lacking similar infrastructure pivots, such as Marathon Digital Holdings NASDAQ: MARA and Riot Platforms NASDAQ: RIOT, saw muted trading. The market is clearly beginning to value gigawatt power capacity as prime AI real estate.
The Texas Land Grab: An 885 MW Exclusivity AgreementThe Sandersville facility represents just the pilot program of a much broader strategic overhaul. Embedded within the $6.6 billion agreement is a letter of intent granting the tenant exclusivity over the entire CleanSpark Texas portfolio. This pipeline includes 718 acres of land with up to 885 megawatts of secured and planned power capacity spread across the Sealy and Brazoria campuses.
The financial implications of a full deployment are substantial. If 175 megawatts in Georgia translates to $330 million in annual net operating income, successfully contracting the 885 megawatt Texas pipeline under a similar pricing framework could introduce well over $1 billion in highly predictable recurring revenue.
By locking up its Texas land under an exclusivity agreement, CleanSpark establishes a clear, multi-year runway to operate at an institutional scale.
Funding the Build: Bridging the Capital Expenditure GapTransforming raw land and energy into production-grade AI infrastructure requires tremendous upfront capital. This is where investors should look past the flashy revenue numbers and assess the balance sheet. Management estimates landlord project costs will range from $10 million to $12 million per megawatt of critical IT load. For the 175-megawatt Sandersville buildout, CleanSpark faces capital expenditures of roughly $1.75 billion to $2.1 billion before recognizing revenue in 2027. With trailing net margins at -67%, the immediate question is how CleanSpark will fund this transition without destroying shareholder value through equity dilution.
The answer lies in the CleanSpark treasury. CleanSpark holds a reserve of 13,941 Bitcoin (BTC), valued at approximately $878 million at current market prices. Rather than liquidating these holdings or issuing millions of new shares, CleanSpark can leverage this treasury as collateral.
Financial institutions are increasingly willing to offer debt financing against digital assets. Securing project-level debt allows CleanSpark to bridge the development gap, severely diminishing the bearish thesis that heavy dilution is the only path forward.
Breaking the Cycle: The Shift Forcing Shorts OutWhenever a business undergoes a structural transformation, technical friction often follows. CleanSpark currently carries a high short interest, with roughly 33% of the free float sold short. Institutional bears built these positions around the traditional crypto mining narrative, which includes unpredictable revenue, margin compression during Bitcoin drawdowns, and the constant threat of dilution to fund operations.
The Sandersville lease directly attacks the foundation of that short thesis. When a business secures $6.6 billion in contracted revenue from an investment-grade tenant, the valuation model shifts. Analysts no longer apply cyclical crypto multiples; they instead apply premium digital real estate valuation frameworks.
While some analysts look for chart breakouts to trigger a short squeeze, others understand that a sudden change in the underlying business model can also fuel violent upside moves. With a heavily skewed bullish options chain and over 78 million shares sold short, the risk of forced covering is elevated. Short sellers are stepping in front of a business that just secured decades of guaranteed cash flow.
Closing Costs: Assessing the Digital Real Estate HorizonThe transition from mining to hosting is not without risk. The regulatory filings detailing the triple-net lease outline strict, milestone-based delivery covenants. CleanSpark must execute its construction and power integration flawlessly over the next 18 months, as failure to meet these deadlines could result in significant rent abatements or the termination of the lease. The multi-quarter latency period before revenue recognition in 2027 means the income statement will not reflect this $6.6 billion victory for quite some time.
Despite execution risks, securing a multi-decade commitment from a tier-one technology titan validates the broader land-and-power strategy. Investors looking to capitalize on the AI compute bottleneck might consider adding CleanSpark to their watchlist to monitor how management secures project financing and executes early construction milestones in Georgia.

CleanSpark shares are powering higher. Why are CLSK shares rallying? CleanSpark Signs 20-Year Data Center DealCleanSpark shares surged on Tuesday after the company announced it entered into a 20-year infrastructure lease agreement with a high-investment grade global technology company at its Sandersville, Georgia, data center campus.
The agreement, which also includes two five-year extension options, is expected to generate approximately $6.6 billion of contracted revenue over the initial term. CleanSpark said the deal could total up to $11.6 billion after the full extension options.
“This lease is a transformational moment for CleanSpark as we complete our evolution into a diversified digital infrastructure platform and begin monetizing our power portfolio at institutional scale,” said Matt Schultz, chairman and CEO of CleanSpark.
“A 20-year commitment from a high-investment-grade global technology company with a market-leading commercial profile and exclusivity across our nearly 900 MW of additional capacity in Texas is a tremendous validation of our land-and-power strategy.”
Analysts Revise Estimates HigherFollowing the 20-year lease announcement, BTIG reiterated a Buy rating on CleanSpark and maintained a price target of $26. Needham analyst John Todaro also chimed in on Wednesday, maintaining a Buy and raising the price target from $18 to $23.
The Needham analyst pointed out that the undisclosed tenant also executed a letter of intent and exclusivity arrangement covering CleanSpark’s entire Texas portfolio of 718 acres with up to 885 MW of secured and planned power capacity. Todaro said such creates near-term lease catalysts over the next 30 to 120 days.
“We introduce FY28 estimates, with revenues of $1,127M and Adj. EBITDA of $693M, reflecting a full ramp of the 175 MW of critical IT load at Sandersville and contribution from Sealy and Brazoria. We raise our PT to $23, 18.5x our discounted 2028 EBITDA estimate,” the analyst wrote in the note.
CLSK Shares Continue To RiseCLSK Price Action: CleanSpark shares were up 1.19% at $13.61 at the time of publication on Wednesday. The stock hit session highs of $14.86 shortly after the open before pulling back, according to Benzinga Pro.

Nuclear energy is experiencing a renaissance. Over the next few decades, rising energy demand from AI businesses is expected to fuel a global build-out of new energy sources. Bank of America analysts believe this will create a $10 trillion opportunity for nuclear energy developers.
Oklo Inc. (OKLO 4.28%) is one of the most fascinating nuclear energy developers on the market. Oklo specializes in small modular reactors, or SMRs. These miniature nuclear power plants can be co-located directly next to data center infrastructure, with lower construction costs and faster construction times than conventionally larger nuclear power plants. It's no wonder, then, that the company has the direct backing of Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, who invested in Oklo early on and served as its Chairman for many years.
"My whole view of the world is the future can be radically better and the two things that we really need for that are to lower the cost of energy and lower the cost of intelligence. And if we get those, we'll be quite surprised about how different and how much better the future is," Altman told reporters in 2023 when Oklo went public through a reverse merger. "I don't see a way for us to get there without nuclear. I mean, maybe we could get there just with solar and storage. But from my vantage point, I feel like this is the most likely and the best way to get there."
Last year, Oklo's market cap soared to $24 billion on rising enthusiasm for SMRs to meet AI's growing energy demands. After a steep correction, however, the company's valuation is down to just $7.9 billion.
What's going on? Is this your chance to buy low into what could become a long-term growth superstar?

Time to buy Oklo stock after the correction? The most important thing to understand about Oklo as an investment is that this was never going to be a short-term story. Bank of America's estimated $10 trillion opportunity for nuclear energy is measured over a timeline spanning decades, not weeks or months.
No matter how promising Oklo's technology looks on paper, it's important for investors to remember that only two SMR systems are currently operable worldwide -- one in China, the other in Russia. The Russian project began construction in 2007, and didn't reach operability until 2020. The Chinese system, meanwhile, took 11 years to go from the start of construction to delivering commercial power.
Oklo claims that its SMR systems can be built in a matter of months once its operations are fully scaled. But the company doesn't even have a reactor design fully approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission yet.

Oklo is chasing a truly massive long-term opportunity, and its potential is likely much higher than its current $7.9 billion market cap. That's especially true given its influential backers, impressive project pipeline, and cash reserves that should give it several years of runway.
Make no mistake: Oklo will be a volatile stock for months and years to come. The company remains in its early stages of growth, with much of its potential based on expectations, not real-world traction.
Despite its status as the largest pure-play quantum computing firm by market capitalization, IonQ Inc. NYSE: IONQ has proven not to be the most stable bet in recent weeks. Shares have fallen about 35% in the last month, and despite a strong Q1 2026 in many respects, the firm's losses per share are widening. Add to that a sky-high price-to-sales (P/S) ratio of 113.3, and it's clear that, in spite of its wins, IonQ could be ripe for disruption.
While investors may be tempted by other flashy names like D-Wave Quantum Inc. NYSE: QBTS and Rigetti Computing NASDAQ: RGTI—both of which have strengths but also challenges—there is another group of often-overlooked challengers that may warrant closer examination. At the top of this list are Quantinuum NASDAQ: QNT and Quantum Computing Inc. NASDAQ: QUBT.

Quantinuum: Brand New and Highly SpeculativeTwo months after its IPO, shares of Quantinuum are up about 18%. The company attracted attention from insiders in the quantum computing space long before it went public, however—NVIDIA's NASDAQ: NVDA major investment last September infused hundreds of millions of dollars, helping to bring the firm's valuation up to $10 billion.

As a very new quantum company in the public eye, Quantinuum faces a crowded field of competitors that are generally more established. But the firm's momentum, including a recently announced partnership with Rolls-Royce OTCMKTS: RYCEY, the University of Edinburgh, and others, may be accelerating.
Add to that the fact that Quantinuum has demonstrated success with its hardware in terms of fidelity and qubit ratio, and that, thanks in part to NVIDIA's support, the company has several years' worth of cash runway, and Quantinuum becomes a competitor to watch.
Of course, there is still a long way to go toward commercial adoption of the products Quantinuum is developing, which means there are plenty of potential hiccups along the way. Its revenue remains minuscule at under $31 million across all of 2025, despite a market capitalization approaching $18 billion. This places its price-to-sales ratio at an eye-popping 1,01. Even with all of its cash on hand, the company is quickly burning through capital to fund its ambitious R&D programs, putting it at even greater risk of catastrophe.
In a quantum landscape notable for its highly speculative plays, Quantinuum is one of the riskiest ventures at this early stage. Conversely, it may have tremendous potential for those investors willing to take the risk. Wall Street analysts certainly seem to think so, based on 12 Buy ratings and just two Holds, as well as a consensus price target of nearly $99, about 48% above where QNT currently trades.
Quantum Computing: Buying Spree Could Turbocharge Production, But Risks Are HighLarger rival D-Wave has made headlines for its major acquisitions, including a $550-million purchase of Quantum Circuits earlier in 2026, but Quantum Computing has been on a buying spree of its own. The firm completed acquisitions of Luminar Semiconductor and NuCrypt, both photonics or quantum optics companies, in the first quarter of the year. It more recently announced the completed purchase of NHanced Semiconductors, which it called a key step toward "scalable commercial production."

The firm is able to do this thanks to its strong cash position and backlog, as it ended Q1 2026 with almost $1 billion in cash and investments and a growing backlog of $16 million. Quantum Computing seems to be on the precipice of shifting from a research-focused firm to one attempting to scale its production, and it is buying up smaller firms to fast-track this process.
This may be a positive sign for Quantum Computing, but the proof will be in whether the company can right its operating expenses and generate non-investment income. In Q1, operating expenses climbed by 123% year over year to almost $20 million, leading to a net loss of $4.1 million. All of the added headcount and other M&A-related expenses contributed to compressed margins and anticipated cash burn.
The bigger issue may be that Quantum Computing has yet to fully articulate its commercialization thesis based on its revenue performance. With under $4 million in revenue from core operations last quarter, the firm is still relying on its investments to generate the bulk of its top line. Thus, like QNT above, QUBT shares are highly speculative at this stage. Analysts tend to be a bit more cautious about this firm, assigning it four Buy ratings, two Holds, and one Sell rating. Shares have shed 19% of their value so far this year but have about 120% in analyst-predicted upside potential.

Reports that privately held companies Stripe and Advent, and maybe publicly traded Block (XYZ +3.66%), too, have offered to buy PayPal Holdings (PYPL +16.40%) for $53 billion sent that stock flying 17.1% higher through 11 a.m. ET Wednesday.
These same rumors may be lifting Fiserv (FISV +2.64%) shares, which are up 4.7%.

Not all the details of the transaction are clear, none of the companies reportedly involved are commenting on the report -- and it could be that no merger will happen. Nevertheless, PayPal investors are clearly excited at the prospect.
So are Fiserv investors.

What a PayPal buyout might mean for Fiserv Why? Just take a look at the numbers.
PayPal and Fiserv aren't direct competitors, with PayPal being a more consumer-facing financial services company (B2C) facilitating payments among peers, while Fiserv operates more on the back end, running the plumbing of financial transactions and processing payments among businesses (B2B). That said, the industry is the same, and the valuations are similar -- and Fiserv looks like an even more attractive takeover target than PayPal.
At today's share price, PayPal stock costs only 8.9 times trailing (and forward) earnings. Fiserv is cheaper at just 8.4x trailing earnings, and a mere 6.2x forward earnings. According to analysts polled by S&P Global Market Intelligence, both companies have similar projected growth rates of 5.8% over the next five years.
Long story short, if Stripe and Advent think PayPal's a buy at 8.9x earnings, there's every reason to believe they, or someone else, may soon reach the same conclusion about Fiserv -- and offer to buy it, too.

CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- USA News Group / Palladium spent the first half of 2026 falling out of favor. Prices dropped roughly 47% from their January high, and the metal now trades near $1,274/oz, well off the $2,195.50 peak posted in late January. For most of the market, that has been reason enough to look elsewhere.
The structural picture underneath the price, however, is not improving. Metals Focus expects total PGM mine supply to decline another 2.2% in 2026 to 13.9 million ounces, following production disruptions in South Africa and falling North American output. South African operations have been slow to recover from 2025 flooding, and palladium supply took a further hit when the Stillwater West mine in the United States was placed on care and maintenance. The world is producing less of this metal, not more, and roughly 70% to 80% of what does get produced comes out of Russia and South Africa.
Which is what makes the news out of southeast Greenland this week worth a second look.
Key Takeaways
Greenland Mines Ltd. (Nasdaq: GRML) reported the first S-K 1300-compliant Technical Report Summary ever prepared for Skaergaard, with an updated resource showing a 31% increase in Indicated palladium-equivalent ounces and grade improvements of 36% to 44%.
The upgrade came from the same drill database as the 2022 estimate. No new holes. A corrected block model and a current price deck did the work.
The conversion clears the way for an Initial Assessment, the SEC's equivalent of a PEA, which will evaluate an open-pit scenario at Skaergaard for the first time.
Same Rock, Different Answer
On July 15, 2026, Greenland Mines Ltd. (Nasdaq: GRML) reported that SLR Consulting (Canada) Ltd., the company's independent Qualified Person, completed a Technical Report Summary for the Skaergaard precious and critical metals project in southeast Greenland. The report conforms to the SEC's requirements under Subpart 229.1300 of Regulation S-K, and it is the first S-K 1300-compliant report ever prepared for the property.
Measured against the November 2022 NI 43-101 baseline, Indicated palladium-equivalent contained metal rose 31% from 11.41 Moz to 15.00 Moz PdEq, and Inferred rose 24% from 14.11 Moz to 17.49 Moz. Indicated PdEq grade climbed 36%, from 2.23 g/t to 3.04 g/t; Inferred grade climbed 44%, from 2.14 g/t to 3.07 g/t. The 2026 estimate carries an effective date of July 3, 2026.
The detail that deserves attention is what did not change. The 2026 estimate draws on exactly the same drill database as its predecessor, 93 diamond drill holes and 30 channel samples totaling 42,050 meters of drilling completed between 1989 and 2021. Not one new meter of core went into it.
Three things changed instead. The first is price. The 2022 estimate assumed gold at US$1,800/oz. The 2026 estimate assumes US$3,500/oz, alongside US$1,725/oz palladium and US$2,100/oz platinum, and swaps the old 1.43 g/t PdEq cut-off for a net smelter return cut-off of US$84 per tonne. The company identifies this as the primary driver of the higher reported grades.
The second is geometry, and it is the more interesting of the two. SLR's Qualified Person determined that the flat-panel Deswik methodology used previously was poorly suited to the shallow bowl-shaped geometry of the Skaergaard deposit, causing excess dilution that pushed material below cut-off. In plain terms, the old model was squaring off a curve, and every place the square did not fit the curve, real ounces were getting averaged into waste. SLR reverted to a standard block model with inverse-distance-cubed grade interpolation, the same interpolation used in 2022. The third change updated classification boundaries using a drill-spacing-based NSR approach.
The trade-off is visible in the tonnage. Indicated tonnes fell 3.4% to 153.6 Mt, Inferred fell 13.6% to 177.5 Mt. Fewer tonnes, higher grade, more contained metal. The company describes the result as a leaner but substantially more valuable resource, with a higher NSR value per tonne mined.
"This is a genuine and material step forward for Skaergaard," said Dr. Bo Møller Stensgaard, President of Greenland Mines Ltd. "We have taken the 2022 mineral resource, already substantial, applied current gold and palladium prices and an improved block model methodology that better reflects the true geometry of the deposit, and the result is a resource that is more than 31 percent larger in Indicated PdEq ounces with a grade 36 percent higher."
The Price Deck Is the Quiet Part
There is a wrinkle in the 2026 estimate that the release states plainly and does not dwell on. The resource assumes gold at US$3,500 per ounce. Gold was trading around $4,074 on the morning of the announcement. The deck the resource is built on sits roughly 14% below where the metal actually trades.
That cuts in the company's favor rather than against it. A resource modeled at a conservative price is a resource with less air in it, and the same rock run at spot would report differently again. The caveat is obvious: metal prices move in both directions, and a deck below spot today is not a promise about tomorrow. But as disclosure posture, using US$3,500 gold in a US$4,000 gold market is the opposite of aggressive.
The same restraint shows up in the mining assumption. The 2026 estimate was modelled entirely on underground costs, at US$32.17 per tonne, with processing at US$35 and G&A at US$16.67. Underground is the expensive way to take rock out of the ground. The company notes that as it advances evaluation of a potential open-pit scenario targeting near-surface mineralization on the northern plateau, there is a clear pathway to a more favorable cost structure.
Skaergaard's mineralization sits in seven stratiform horizons within the upper 90 meters of the Middle Zone, each typically two to five meters thick, and some of it sits at or near surface on the northern plateau. The resource, in other words, was costed as though all of it has to be mined the hard way, including the part that may not.
What S-K 1300 Actually Buys
The regulatory conversion is easy to file under housekeeping. It is not. S-K 1300 is the SEC's mining disclosure standard, and converting to it does three things. It establishes Skaergaard's Mineral Resources under the SEC's current standard, giving investors disclosure directly comparable to peer companies reporting under the same rules. It creates a compliant technical foundation from which the company can proceed to an Initial Assessment, the S-K 1300 equivalent of a PEA. And it sets up the IA to evaluate an open-pit scenario for the northern plateau, where mineralization occurs at or near surface.
That third point is the one that matters. As the company puts it, an open-pit first approach would typically offer materially lower capital and operating costs than an underground operation, potentially shortening the timeline to first production.
"The S-K 1300 conversion gives us the regulatory foundation to move directly into an Initial Assessment, which will, for the first time, formally evaluate what an open-pit scenario looks like at Skaergaard alongside underground options," Stensgaard said.
The inputs are being collected now. The 2026 field program includes drilling, bulk sampling, mapping and geotechnical work on the northeastern plateau and toward the west, areas the TRS identifies as having near-surface open-pit potential. A contract with Nordisk Fundering covers roughly 7,500 meters of helicopter-supported diamond core drilling this season.
Skaergaard sits about 400 km west of Iceland with direct sheltered deep-water fjord access and a nearby gravel airstrip, a position the company frames as its North Atlantic Critical Metals Corridor. The deposit also carries elevated titanium, vanadium and gallium in the surrounding iron-oxide sequence, described as potential by-product credits subject to further technical evaluation. Greenland Mines holds an 80% interest in the three Mineral Exploration Licenses covering Skaergaard through its subsidiary Major Precious Greenland A/S, with an option on the remaining 20%.
The Company Skaergaard Keeps
Greenland has become a jurisdiction that Western governments talk about in strategic terms rather than geological ones, and Greenland Mines is not the only company being carried by that current.
Critical Metals Corp. (Nasdaq: CRML) is the closest thing Skaergaard has to a jurisdictional twin. Its flagship Tanbreez project sits in southern Greenland and shares the same year-round deep-water fjord shipping access. The company closed its acquisition of the final 50.5% interest in Tanbreez in April 2026, bringing ownership to 92.5%, and has since launched a 10,000-meter diamond drilling campaign. On July 8, 2026, it retained Clear Street as financial advisor to evaluate value-maximizing pathways centered on accelerating Tanbreez. Shares have surged 757% over the past year. Tanbreez is a rare earth story and Skaergaard is a PGM story, so the two are not substitutes. What they share is a bet that Greenland's geology and its geopolitics are about to be priced together.
Perpetua Resources Corp. (Nasdaq: PPTA) shows where the road leads when Washington takes a critical-metals story seriously. Its Stibnite Gold Project in Idaho pairs a 4.22 Moz gold deposit with 106 million pounds of antimony, a mineral where China controls roughly 80% of global supply. The U.S. Export-Import Bank finalized a $2.9 billion loan for the project in May 2026, and construction is underway with initial production targeted for late 2029. The parallel to Skaergaard is structural rather than geological: both are precious-metals deposits whose strategic by-product changes the conversation.
Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. (TSX: IVN) (OTCQX: IVPAF) is the reality check on scale. Its Platreef mine in South Africa is the rare PGM project actually ramping into production rather than studying its way toward it. Shaft #3 completed on schedule in late March 2026, lifting hoisting capacity roughly fivefold to about 5.0 Mtpa, and ground broke on the Phase 2 concentrator on April 9. Phase 2 is expected to lift output more than fourfold, to over 450,000 ounces of platinum, palladium, rhodium and gold annually from Q4 2027. Ivanhoe is a producer with tier-one assets and a market capitalization to match, which is exactly why it is useful here: it is the yardstick, not the peer.
Energy Fuels Inc. (NYSE American: UUUU) (TSX: EFR) is the by-product argument in corporate form. The company runs the White Mesa Mill in Utah, the only fully licensed conventional uranium mill operating in the United States, and has widened it into rare earths, vanadium and heavy mineral sands. In June 2026 it secured a conditional $725 million loan commitment from the U.S. Office of Strategic Capital and agreed to acquire German magnet maker Vacuumschmelze for roughly $1.9 billion. Skaergaard's titanium, vanadium and gallium credits remain unevaluated, and Energy Fuels illustrates how a company builds value out of the metals that come up alongside the main event. Note that UUUU shares have declined over 7% year-to-date and trade near the bottom of their 52-week range, a reminder that a strong strategic position and a strong chart are different things.
These four are included for industry context only. None is a proxy for Greenland Mines, and their performance says nothing about how Skaergaard will fare.
The Next Chapter
The case for Skaergaard has never been that it is a small, clever deposit. It is that it is a very large one, sitting in a jurisdiction that has become strategically interesting to the Western alliance at the exact moment palladium supply is contracting.
What this week's report changes is the paperwork, and paperwork is what has been missing. A large resource nobody can compare to anything is a curiosity. A large resource reported under the same SEC standard as every other U.S.-listed developer is an asset that can be underwritten, financed and studied.
"Skaergaard is advancing fast, this release is proof of that," Stensgaard said. "The resource is bigger, the grade is higher, and the next chapter starts now."
What has to happen next is straightforward to state and hard to do. The 2026 field season has to deliver the drilling, metallurgical and geotechnical inputs. The Initial Assessment has to be completed. And the open-pit scenario on the northern plateau has to survive contact with real engineering. Mineral Resources are not Mineral Reserves and do not have demonstrated economic viability, and no economic study has been completed on Skaergaard.
For now, the market gets a simpler fact to sit with. The same 42,050 meters of core that were in the ground in 2022 are in the ground today. The rock did not change. The estimate did, and it got 31% bigger.

CAUTIONARY NOTE REGARDING MINERAL RESOURCES
The 2026 Mineral Resource Estimate referenced in this article was prepared by SLR Consulting (Canada) Ltd., an independent Qualified Person as defined under S-K 1300, in accordance with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Modernized Property Disclosure Requirements for Mining Registrants under Subpart 229.1300 of Regulation S-K, with an effective date of July 3, 2026, and is disclosed in the Technical Report Summary prepared for the Skaergaard Project. The Technical Report Summary will be filed as an exhibit with the SEC. Mineral Resources are not Mineral Reserves and do not have demonstrated economic viability. The 2026 Mineral Resource Estimate is reported on a 100% ownership basis; Greenland Mines Ltd. holds an 80% interest in the Mineral Exploration Licenses comprising the Project through its subsidiary Major Precious Greenland A/S. Mineral Resources are estimated using long-term prices of US$3,500/oz gold, US$1,725/oz palladium and US$2,100/oz platinum, and assume metallurgical recoveries of 86% palladium, 89% gold and 80% platinum; these are assumptions and not forecasts, and actual metal prices and recoveries may differ materially. Comparisons to the November 2022 NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate are provided for reference only; the two estimates were prepared under different reporting standards using different price assumptions, cut-off criteria and modelling methodologies, and are not directly comparable. No preliminary economic assessment, pre-feasibility study, or feasibility study has been completed on the Skaergaard Project. Statements regarding a potential open-pit mining scenario are conceptual, have not been the subject of any completed economic study, and there is no certainty that any such scenario will prove economically viable. There is no certainty that the Mineral Resources disclosed will be converted to Mineral Reserves or that an economically viable mining operation can be established. Potential by-product credits from titanium, vanadium and gallium are subject to further technical evaluation and no economic value should be ascribed to them at this time.

SanDisk (NASDAQ:SNDK | SNDK Price Prediction) and Micron Technology (NASDAQ:MU) both just delivered the kind of quarters that memory investors dream about.
SanDisk posted a 251.03% revenue surge on NAND flash strength, while Micron rode HBM and DRAM to 345.72% growth. Two very different memory playbooks. One shared tailwind: AI infrastructure spending that refuses to slow down.
NAND Flash Roars for SanDisk. HBM Rewrites Micron’s Story. SanDisk’s Datacenter segment did the heavy lifting, generating $1.47 billion at a jaw-dropping +645% year over year. Gross margin swung from 22.5% to 78.4% in a single year, which tells you pricing power has completely inverted.
CEO David Goeckeler framed it as “a fundamental inflection point for Sandisk”, pointing to five signed multi-year customer agreements and engagement with five hyperscalers. That is real backlog with contractual visibility.
Micron played a bigger board. Cloud Memory hit $13.77 billion, Core Data Center added $11.52 billion, and gross margin expanded to 84.6%. HBM4 is already shipping in high volume to the lead AI accelerator customer.
Sanjay Mehrotra said “memory has become a strategic asset for our customers”. The $7.83 billion quarterly capex bill is the price of holding that HBM crown.
Pure NAND Play Versus the Full Memory Stack Business Driver SanDisk Micron Core AI Product High Bandwidth Flash, BiCS8 NAND HBM4, 1-gamma DRAM Balance Sheet Zero long-term debt Heavy capex, $325 million debt prepay loss Shareholder Return New buyback authorization Dividend plus $650 million buybacks YTD Forward PE 26 6 SanDisk is betting the farm on flash for AI inference workloads, where High Bandwidth Flash could cheapen memory-intensive model serving.
Micron is playing every position on the field: HBM for training, DDR5 for servers, LPDDR5X for phones, QLC SSDs up to 245TB, and even robotaxi automotive DRAM. Breadth is Micron’s moat. Focus is SanDisk’s.
Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Micron Technology didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.
The Next Test Is Whether Guidance Sticks SanDisk guided Q4 revenue to $7.75 billion to $8.25 billion and EPS to $30 to $33. Micron pointed to $50 billion and roughly 86% gross margin. Yet both stocks have cooled after their earnings reports. SanDisk is down 15.46% over the past month, and Micron slipped 10.62% since its June 24 filing. That looks like digestion after a strong run.
I will be watching whether SanDisk can convert hyperscaler engagements into visible ramp guidance beyond Q4, and whether Micron’s HBM4E schedule for calendar 2027 holds against fierce Korean competition.
If you want a sense of how far the memory rerating could travel, our team’s Next Nvidia Playbook lays out the framework I keep returning to.
Micron for Value, SanDisk for Torque On the numbers, Micron screens as the cleaner risk-reward. A 6 forward PE on a company with 80.4% operating margins and HBM leadership is difficult to argue with, and the 40 combined buy and strong-buy ratings back that up.
SanDisk is the higher-torque play. Its 605.19% year-to-date run reflects a NAND-only story that could still deliver if High Bandwidth Flash lands, but it trades at a much richer forward multiple.
Micron offers durability and cash return, while SanDisk offers asymmetric upside on a single product bet. The two profiles suit different investor objectives.

The recommendations of Wall Street analysts are often relied on by investors when deciding whether to buy, sell, or hold a stock. Media reports about these brokerage-firm-employed (or sell-side) analysts changing their ratings often affect a stock's price. Do they really matter, though?
Let's take a look at what these Wall Street heavyweights have to say about Powell Industries (POWL - Free Report) before we discuss the reliability of brokerage recommendations and how to use them to your advantage.
Powell Industries currently has an average brokerage recommendation (ABR) of 2.00, on a scale of 1 to 5 (Strong Buy to Strong Sell), calculated based on the actual recommendations (Buy, Hold, Sell, etc.) made by six brokerage firms. An ABR of 2.00 indicates Buy.
Of the six recommendations that derive the current ABR, three are Strong Buy, representing 50% of all recommendations.
Brokerage Recommendation Trends for POWL
Check price target & stock forecast for Powell Industries here>>>
The ABR suggests buying Powell Industries, but making an investment decision solely on the basis of this information might not be a good idea. According to several studies, brokerage recommendations have little to no success guiding investors to choose stocks with the most potential for price appreciation.
Are you wondering why? The vested interest of brokerage firms in a stock they cover often results in a strong positive bias of their analysts in rating it. Our research shows that for every "Strong Sell" recommendation, brokerage firms assign five "Strong Buy" recommendations.
In other words, their interests aren't always aligned with retail investors, rarely indicating where the price of a stock could actually be heading. Therefore, the best use of this information could be validating your own research or an indicator that has proven to be highly successful in predicting a stock's price movement.
Zacks Rank, our proprietary stock rating tool with an impressive externally audited track record, categorizes stocks into five groups, ranging from Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) to Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell), and is an effective indicator of a stock's price performance in the near future. Therefore, using the ABR to validate the Zacks Rank could be an efficient way of making a profitable investment decision.
ABR Should Not Be Confused With Zacks RankAlthough both Zacks Rank and ABR are displayed in a range of 1--5, they are different measures altogether.
The ABR is calculated solely based on brokerage recommendations and is typically displayed with decimals (example: 1.28). In contrast, the Zacks Rank is a quantitative model allowing investors to harness the power of earnings estimate revisions. It is displayed in whole numbers -- 1 to 5.
It has been and continues to be the case that analysts employed by brokerage firms are overly optimistic with their recommendations. Because of their employers' vested interests, these analysts issue more favorable ratings than their research would support, misguiding investors far more often than helping them.
In contrast, the Zacks Rank is driven by earnings estimate revisions. And near-term stock price movements are strongly correlated with trends in earnings estimate revisions, according to empirical research.
In addition, the different Zacks Rank grades are applied proportionately to all stocks for which brokerage analysts provide current-year earnings estimates. In other words, this tool always maintains a balance among its five ranks.
There is also a key difference between the ABR and Zacks Rank when it comes to freshness. When you look at the ABR, it may not be up-to-date. Nonetheless, since brokerage analysts constantly revise their earnings estimates to reflect changing business trends, and their actions get reflected in the Zacks Rank quickly enough, it is always timely in predicting future stock prices.
Should You Invest in POWL?In terms of earnings estimate revisions for Powell Industries, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current year has remained unchanged over the past month at $5.47.
Analysts' steady views regarding the company's earnings prospects, as indicated by an unchanged consensus estimate, could be a legitimate reason for the stock to perform in line with the broader market in the near term.
The size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, has resulted in a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) for Powell Industries. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>>
It may therefore be prudent to be a little cautious with the Buy-equivalent ABR for Powell Industries.
Wall Street expects a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when Waste Connections (WCN - Free Report) reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. While this widely-known consensus outlook is important in gauging the company's earnings picture, a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis solid waste services provider is expected to post quarterly earnings of $1.35 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +4.7%.
Revenues are expected to be $2.54 billion, up 5.5% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 0.21% higher over the last 30 days to the current level.
Our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) -- has this insight at its core.
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Waste Connections? For Waste Connections, the Most Accurate Estimate is lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bearish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -1.88%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Waste Connections will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue?Analysts often consider to what extent a company has been able to match consensus estimates in the past while calculating their estimates for its future earnings. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Waste Connections would post earnings of $1.19 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.23, delivering a surprise of +3.36%.
Waste Connections doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

Canaccord Genuity (TSX:CF, LSE:CF) has initiated coverage of Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust PLC (LSE:SMT) with a 'hold' rating, warning that SpaceX now dominates the portfolio to an uncomfortable degree.
Analyst Iain Scouller said the rocket company accounted for 28% of net assets at 30 June, once the trust's 8% balance sheet leverage is taken into account.
He suggested investors who now view their holding as outsized after strong share price gains could top-slice their positions.
The shares trade at 1446p against a net asset value of 1538p, a discount of about 6%.
Canaccord thinks a discount of 5% to 10% is reasonable given the risk and reward attached to private companies and the potential volatility from the large SpaceX position.
The trust has performed strongly, with the share price up 38% and net asset value up 36% over the year to 13 July.
SpaceX contributed 14.9% to absolute performance over the year to 31 March, just over half the 27.4% net asset value return.
Its valuation rose by £1.91 billion to £2.98 billion, equivalent to 79% of the £2.43 billion total increase in fair value across the private portfolio.
Almost all of that gain remains unrealised. The realised gain over the year was just £0.8 million.
Beneath the SpaceX number, the private portfolio was mixed, with 21 investments falling in value and only 14 rising.
Scouller scored the trust's 126-page accounts eight out of 10, praising improved disclosure on unlisted holdings following a Financial Reporting Council thematic review.
He would like to see a vintage year breakdown for private investments, more detail in regulatory announcements when valuations change, and industry classifications for each holding.
SpaceX is currently classified as an industrial rather than a technology company, which helped lift the industrials weighting to 29% from 17%.
Canaccord noted the trust applies a typical 10% illiquidity discount to unlisted valuations, and a further 10% for execution risk where a transaction has yet to close.
The cost of debt is low at 3.6%, up from 3.1%, helped by long-dated debentures issued in 2020 and 2021 at rates below 3%.
Gearing fell to 11% of net asset value from 13%.
Scottish Mortgage spent £3.1 billion buying back 318.6 million shares, or 22% of share capital, over the two years to 15 March 2026.
The board has reviewed the fee structure and rejected a performance fee, with the ongoing charge ratio at 0.33% of net assets.
Key Takeaways SPCX reached about 10.3M Starlink subscribers with service available in 164 countries and markets.SpaceX continues investing in technology and network expansion to strengthen its broadband services.SPCX is expanding satellite-to-mobile services through operator partnerships covering about 1.7B people. Space Exploration Technologies (SPCX - Free Report) is benefiting from the rapid expansion of its Starlink broadband business. Solid subscriber addition, expanding global coverage and continuous improvement in networking capacity are major driving factors. As of March 31, 2026, the company boasts a subscriber base of around 10.3 million. With approximately 9,600 satellites in orbit, Starlink service is available in 164 countries and markets. Segment adjusted EBITDA reached $7.2 billion in 2025 and $2.1 billion in the first quarter of 2026, showing that satellite broadband has moved beyond the concept stage.
SpaceX's key differentiation lies in its launch leadership, which enables faster Starlink network expansion. SpaceX has completed around 650 orbital launches, including 620 Falcon 9 missions. The mission success rate exceeds 99%. Its reusable launch systems and capability to conduct frequent launches in a short period have significantly lowered satellite deployment costs.
The company places a strong focus on technology upgrades to improve customer experience. Its satellite constellation operates in low earth orbit, allowing significantly lower latency compared to legacy satellite systems. Its architecture can deliver residential download speeds of approximately 225 Mbps during peak hours. Moreover, the company’s ability to launch upgraded satellites frequently ensures continuous network advancements.
Through its Starlink business, the company is working to open up a new growth avenue. It has developed one of the largest satellite-to-mobile constellations, and its services include messaging, voice and data. The company is collaborating with leading mobile network operators across six continents, covering approximately 1.7 billion people.
How Are Competitors Faring? In the satellite communication space, SpaceX faces competition from Viasat, Inc. (VSAT - Free Report) and AST SpaceMobile (ASTS - Free Report) . AST SpaceMobile is developing a direct-to-device satellite network. Its commercial deployment remains at an earlier stage. The company recently announced the successful orbital launch of BlueBirds 8, 9 and 10 aboard a Falcon 9 rocket. The satellites feature approximately 2,400-square-foot communications arrays and are designed to provide direct broadband connectivity to standard smartphones. AST SpaceMobile also announced that BlueBirds 11, 12 and 13 are targeted for launch during the first half of August aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral. With a growing ecosystem that includes 60 global mobile network operator partners covering over 3 billion subscribers, ASTS is gaining ground on the expanding direct-to-device space.
Viasat has completed the next-generation global ViaSat-3 constellation with the successful launch of ViaSat-3 Flight 3 on April 29, 2026, targeted to the Asia-Pacific region. Management said radiator and solar array deployments were completed and orbit raising is underway, with service entry expected in August or September 2026. ViaSat-3 Flight 2 also completed all deployments, including the reflectors and boom, with service entry pending FCC authorization. The ViaSat-3 class is designed to deliver more than 1 Tbps of throughput capacity and to use advanced beamforming and flexible bandwidth allocation so capacity can be directed to the highest-demand commercial, enterprise and defense markets.

One of the largest IPOs in history closed in June, drawing more than $300 billion in orders for $75 billion of shares sold, an oversubscription of roughly 4x. Wall Street called it a moonshot. The bond market, quietly, called it something else. As Bloomberg Opinion columnist Nir Kaissar argued in “SpaceX Is Junk. That’s What the Bond Market Says” (July 7, 2026), credit investors are pricing SpaceX (NASDAQ:SPCX) debt as if the rating label were fiction.
The Rating Says Investment Grade. The Spread Says Otherwise. All three major agencies placed SpaceX in investment grade in ratings actions announced June 18, 2026: S&P at BBB (stable), Moody’s at Baa1 (stable), and Fitch at BBB+ (stable). Average that trio and you land on BBB, the lowest rung of investment grade.
Yet as of early July, Kaissar noted, SpaceX bonds traded at an average credit spread of 1.62 percentage points over Treasuries, while average BBB corporates traded at 0.92 points and average BB (junk/high-yield) bonds at 1.55 points. SpaceX debt clears wider than the junk average. Buyers are demanding a risk premium the label does not require.
The Curve Tells the Real Story Kaissar’s maturity breakdown sharpens the argument. The 5-year paper trades at a 1.18-point spread. The 30-year (2056) paper stretches to 1.99 points. The rating stays flat at BBB across every maturity. Near term, creditors accept the story. Push out to 2056 and they are pricing something closer to speculative.
That matters. Junk-rated bonds default meaningfully more often than investment-grade issues, and many pensions and insurers are mandated to avoid speculative debt. If the label ever catches down to the spread, forced selling could follow.
What the Raters Are Nervous About The fundamentals explain the caution. S&P projects negative free cash flow through 2029. Moody’s expects strong revenue and earnings growth through 2028, powered by Starlink, which reported 12 million subscribers as of early June 2026, but flags governance risk tied to SpaceX’s controlled ownership structure and Elon Musk’s concentrated voting power, which limits independent board oversight. Starlink is carrying the company while the AI and X unit posted a large operating loss. SpaceX floated $25 billion in public debt around the IPO.
July 16 is the Final Day to Tap Into the Lithium Boom (sponsor)
General Motors, POSCO, and 50,000+ everyday investors have already backed lithium producer EnergyX.
Here's why you should do the same before their July 16 investment deadline: lithium prices are up 75% this year, with demand projected to grow a staggering 5X by 2040.
With tech that can recover up to 3X more lithium than traditional methods, EnergyX is preparing to unlock up to 15M+ tons. Become a private-stage EnergyX investor before the July 16 deadline.
The Equity Market Is Telling a Different Story Equity investors are looking past it. The stock trades at more than 100x sales, roughly 30x the S&P 500’s multiple, on a market cap of about $1.05 trillion. The pitch is the S-1’s mission language: “to make life multiplanetary,” “to extend the light of consciousness to the stars,” “to understand the true nature of the universe,” and “to build a base on the Moon and cities on other planets.”
Even the stock is cracking. Shares closed at $138.29 on July 14, 2026, down roughly 15.45% over the past month and about 8.96% over the past week, well off the post-IPO peak above $225.
A 2008 Echo Worth Remembering Kaissar frames the analogy carefully. Ahead of the 2008 crisis, AAA-rated mortgage bonds saw spreads widen well before the downgrades arrived, with some AAA mortgage bonds trading up to 1 percentage point wider than similarly rated corporate debt. Bond markets have been right before when spreads and ratings diverged. That is historical context for how bond markets can front-run ratings.
What to Watch For retail investors, the split screen is the point. The equity is a bet on Musk’s decades-long vision. The bond market is a real-time referendum on the balance sheet, and it is harder to hype. Keep an eye on the long-dated spreads. If the 30-year gap keeps widening while the BBB label holds, the credit desk will have said its piece long before the rating agencies do.

Frontier Airlines announced Tuesday that it plans to introduce high-speed inflight internet powered by SpaceX's Starlink beginning in early 2027, marking a major upgrade for the ultra-low-cost carrier as it continues investing in new amenities aimed at attracting travelers.
The Denver-based airline said its first Starlink-equipped Airbus aircraft is expected to enter service early next year. Frontier said it will become the first U.S. airline to offer passengers access to Starlink's satellite internet through a new system managed directly by Starlink.
Engineered by Elon Musk's SpaceX, Starlink uses a constellation of low-Earth orbit satellites to deliver high-speed, low-latency internet capable of supporting activities such as video streaming, online gaming, web browsing and remote work during flights.

UNITED'S NEW SEATING OPTION DITCHES THE MIDDLE SEAT
The rollout is part of a broader deployment across airlines backed by private equity firm Indigo Partners, which also includes Wizz Air, Volaris, JetSmart and Cebu Pacific. Together, the carriers expect to install Starlink across more than 1,000 aircraft, one of the largest commitments to next-generation inflight connectivity announced to date.
"Starlink will provide our portfolio airlines with reliable, high-speed connectivity, further enhancing the customer experience of flying on Wizz, Frontier, Volaris, JetSMART and Cebu," Indigo Partners Managing Partner Bill Franke said in a statement.

Frontier CEO Jimmy Dempsey said the investment reflects the airline's efforts to enhance the travel experience while maintaining its low-fare business model.
"We're continuing to invest in the products and services that matter most to our customers," Dempsey said. "Starlink transforms the onboard experience, giving customers the flexibility to work, stream, browse, and stay connected throughout their journey."
The announcement comes as Frontier expands its offerings beyond its traditional ultra-low-cost model. The airline has previously announced plans to introduce first-class seating and enhance its loyalty program as it competes for higher-value travelers.

Starship serves as the cornerstone of the SpaceX (SPCX) investment narrative, with the next critical milestone approaching swiftly. Without Starship, Will SpaceX Stock Collapse?
SPCX has struggled since its launch on June 12. The share price has dropped approximately 30% from its peak following the debut, finishing at $138 on Monday, inching closer to its IPO price of $135. The thirteenth test flight of Starship, scheduled for as soon as Thursday, July 16, might be the turning point for this situation, for better or worse.
The Importance Of This FlightAlthough SpaceX has already established profitable ventures in Starlink and launch services, a significant portion of the investment case hinges on a critical economic challenge: the expense of launching mass into orbit remains prohibitive for most of its ambitious expansion markets. Orbital AI data centers, next-gen Starlink deployment, lunar logistics – these remain unimpeded by technology but constrained by economic factors.
Starship represents SpaceX’s solution to this dilemma. The rocket is six to eight times the size of Falcon 9, and with greater payload capacity per flight, it can reduce costs per kilogram significantly. Currently, Falcon 9 launches cost about $2,720 per kilogram. Starship aims to lower that to below $100 per kilogram, achieving a 27x decrease, but this is only feasible with over 70 launches per vehicle and minimal refurbishment between missions. Neither of these conditions has been verified at scale so far, and SpaceX reported a $4.9 billion loss in 2025 against an approximate $3 billion investment in Starship R&D. Flight 13 will be suborbital, not a revenue-generating event, but it will serve as a crucial indicator of whether this launch frequency can be realized.
Issues Experienced During Flight 12 And Critical IndicatorsFlight 12 took place on May 22 and generally proceeded successfully. It marked the introduction of the enhanced Starship V3, featuring a more powerful engine and new refueling equipment. However, two issues arose after the booster detached from the spacecraft. It veered off course instead of maintaining a straight trajectory, and five of its engines failed to reignite for the flight back home. SpaceX has stated that both issues have been resolved, and the FAA has approved Flight 13 to proceed.
Investors should keep an eye on several critical indicators:
Will the booster remain stable after separation? A steady, controlled trajectory would suggest that the tumbling issue has been addressed.
Will the engines relight properly? A successful reignition for the return journey would confirm that the second issue has also been resolved.
Will Starship successfully deploy its satellites? This flight will carry 20 next-gen Starlink satellites, marking the first attempt by Starship in this capacity. A successful deployment would signify Starship's initial genuine step towards revenue generation.
Opportunities Presented By StarshipStarship has the potential to open various new markets.
Starlink deployment: SpaceX’s next-generation V3 Starlink satellites are too large for Falcon 9, positioning Starship as the main launch vehicle for the constellation. This represents the most imminent demand driver, supplying Starship with an inbuilt client poised to maintain a high launch frequency from the beginning.
Lunar and deep-space logistics: NASA has designated Starship as the Human Landing System for the Artemis program, and significantly reduced launch costs could render lunar cargo transport, lunar infrastructure developments, and deep-space missions much more economically viable.
Orbital infrastructure: SpaceX’s IPO documentation highlights orbital data centers and other large-scale space infrastructure as potential future markets. Should Starship fulfill its economic promises, it could facilitate an entirely new class of space-based infrastructure that is unfeasible under current launch costs. As SpaceX’s valuation increasingly reflects potential opportunities in markets that are not yet fully realized, it becomes ever more critical to balance speculative investments with established, revenue-generating businesses. A disciplined approach to portfolio management enables you to maintain your investments while mitigating the effects of market shocks.
Achieving consistent outperformance relative to the market is challenging, but the Trefis High Quality (HQ) Portfolio is structured to make this goal more attainable. The HQ strategy has persistently outperformed its market benchmark since inception, yielding cumulative returns exceeding 105 percent.

CompaniesJuly 15 (Reuters) - SpaceX shares dropped below their initial public offering price on Wednesday, a first for the company, just over a month after a frenzy over the rockets-to-AI firm powered the biggest IPO ever and made Elon Musk the world's first trillionaire.
Its shares (SPCX.O), opens new tab slid 2.7% to $132.5, falling below the $135 apiece IPO price and well below the all-time high of $225.64, which propelled the company's market valuation briefly above those of Silicon Valley giants Microsoft (MSFT.O), opens new tab and Amazon (AMZN.O), opens new tab.

Many contended the stock's rally was likely vulnerable to reversals, given SpaceX's $4.9 billion in net losses last year and the uncertainty over the firm's prospects as well as the stock valuations that might hold across the market at a time when inflation has been rising, putting the Fed's policymakers on notice.
The decline leaves investors who bought into the company at the IPO price sitting on paper losses for the first time, potentially testing confidence in the stock.
It also offers a reminder that Wall Street enthusiasm can cool quickly, even for a company with the size and scale of SpaceX, which raised around $85.7 billion and fetched a valuation of around $2.1 trillion at the end of its first trading day.
It is not uncommon for a stock to fall below the IPO price, especially during periods of broader market stress.
Wall Street's main indexes have been under pressure in recent weeks due to uncertainty around the U.S. Federal Reserve's interest rate path and concerns about the durability of the rally powered by AI winners such as chipmakers.
Still, the drop may bolster critics who had argued that SpaceX's valuation was stretched, as the company was unprofitable and many of its ambitious bets were still untested.
Investors would find better entry points after the first wave of excitement had faded, some analysts had warned before the IPO.
The reversal also underscores the risks of chasing momentum, and the limits of a valuation driven more by narrative than near-term fundamentals.
The stock's addition to prestigious indexes, such as the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 (.NDX), opens new tab, did little to reignite the buying. SpaceX's shares have dropped nearly 13% since they were included in the Nasdaq 100.
The focus now shifts to the company's first results after listing. SpaceX has not yet disclosed when it plans to do it, but has said they will be released only through its website and its social media account on X, and not through wire distribution services.
