NEW YORK, July 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Julie & Holleman LLP, a nationally recognized shareholder rights firm, is investigating the proposed acquisition of Personalis, Inc. (Nasdaq: PSNL) by Tempus AI, Inc. (Nasdaq: TEM), an existing Personalis shareholder and strategic partner.
For a free consultation, please visit https://julieholleman.com/personalis-inc/. You may also contact partner Scott Holleman at (929) 415-1020 or by email at [email protected].
Personalis is a precision oncology company that develops advanced genomic tests designed to detect and monitor cancer. The company has established itself as a leader in molecular residual disease ("MRD") testing, a rapidly growing market with significant long-term potential.
On July 20, 2026, Personalis announced that it had agreed to be acquired by Tempus for consideration valued at $16.25 per share. Tempus, however, is not a typical third-party acquirer. The company already owns a significant equity stake in Personalis through an existing strategic relationship that began in 2023 and has worked closely with Personalis in commercializing its MRD technology.
Julie & Holleman is investigating whether Personalis' public shareholders are receiving fair value for their shares. The firm is particularly concerned that Tempus' preexisting ownership position and strategic relationship with Personalis may have created conflicts of interest during the sale process. The firm is also evaluating whether the merger consideration adequately reflects Personalis' long-term value as demand for MRD testing continues to grow.

MarketBeat Week in Review – 02/23 - 02/27Tempus AI NASDAQ: TEM executives said the company’s planned acquisition of Personalis is intended to strengthen its position in minimal residual disease, or MRD, testing, while expanding its biopharma data and profiling capabilities.
On a call with analysts, Tempus said it agreed to acquire all outstanding shares of Personalis not already owned by Tempus at $16.25 per share. The company said the price represents a 6% premium to Personalis’ Friday closing price and a 28% premium to its unaffected 30-day volume-weighted average price.

After a Near 50% Drop, Tempus AI Could Be Ripe for a ReboundThe consideration is structured as 100% stock, though Tempus has the option to pay up to 50% in cash. Personalis shareholders would receive a floating exchange ratio of Tempus common stock for each Personalis share held at closing, subject to a maximum exchange ratio of 0.3356. Tempus said any cash portion could be financed with cash on hand and additional borrowing procured between signing and closing. The companies expect the transaction to close in late 2026 or early 2027.
Tempus Points to MRD Growth and Reimbursement Momentum Tempus said Personalis’ NeXT Personal offering has seen strong adoption, with quarter-over-quarter growth of 38%. The company said volumes could become “even more material and higher” as additional sales representatives are equipped to sell the offering and as more indications secure reimbursement.
Tempus AI Sold Off After a Beat—But the Rebound Case Is BuildingIn response to a question from Kallum Titchmarsh of Morgan Stanley, an executive identified as Eric said Tempus is “quickly gaining market adoption,” citing both overall growth in the MRD market and the performance of Personalis’ assay. He said Tempus expects to embed more of its technology into the MRD offering over time, including hospital connectivity, AI-enabled ordering tools and AI-derived insights.
Eric said Tempus has so far been selective in allowing its sales force to carry the MRD product, with roughly 10% of sales representatives currently involved. He said the company expects to expand that access as more indications receive reimbursement.
Why Tempus Says the Timing Is Right Asked by Kyle Mikson of Canaccord Genuity why Tempus is pursuing the acquisition now, Eric said the company had reviewed Personalis in 2023 but opted at that time for a commercial agreement because Personalis still faced several years of heavy investment. He said Personalis has since advanced the assay and is entering a phase in which coverage and reimbursement should improve the economics of the tests.
Eric said MRD assays can move from generating little or no revenue in certain uses to producing significant revenue after analytic validity, clinical validity, publication and MolDX approval requirements are met. He said Personalis is now entering that part of the cycle, and Tempus expects its financial profile to improve.
Jim Rogers, CFO and Treasurer of Tempus AI, said the company’s core business has “good tailwinds” from therapy selection volume growth and average selling price improvements. He said Tempus is generating incremental gross profit dollars and had already intended to reinvest a portion of that into the business, with MRD as a major investment area.
Data and Biopharma Opportunities Tempus said the Personalis portfolio also enhances its biopharma offering through profiling and immuno-oncology capabilities. The company highlighted the potential value of de-identified longitudinal MRD data, saying serial measurements can reveal disease dynamics, treatment response, resistance and recurrence, which may support biomarker discovery, patient selection and trial optimization.
Eric said the prior relationship between the companies gave Tempus broad clinical distribution rights, while Personalis retained its own biopharma business and data rights. After closing, he said Tempus expects to more tightly combine those capabilities, which he said could be “catalytic” to both companies’ pharma businesses.
Rogers added that Tempus already has a large biopharma data business and does sequencing for biopharma customers. He said integrating Personalis’ biopharma business with Tempus’ current offering could help expand overall relationships with biopharma clients.
Financial Targets Remain in Place Tempus said it will provide more detail on the transaction’s financial impact and outlook during its second-quarter earnings call on July 30. Despite the acquisition, the company said it intends to be adjusted EBITDA and free cash flow positive in 2027.
Asked about margins and reimbursement by Mark Massaro of BTIG, Eric said Tempus was not ready to provide extensive detail on Personalis’ business before a future update, but said Personalis is collecting clinical-side reimbursement dollars. He added that Tempus would not have agreed to the acquisition if it did not believe the margin profile would become “super healthy.”
Elizabeth Krutoholow, Tempus AI’s Vice President of Investor Relations, closed the call by thanking participants and said the company expects to speak with investors again on its July 30 second-quarter call.

Artificial intelligence infrastructure remains one of the market’s biggest investment themes, but it has also become one of its biggest sources of anxiety. Hyperscalers including Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META | META Price Prediction), Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), and Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG) are committing hundreds of billions of dollars annually to data centers, GPUs, and networking equipment, prompting concerns that debt and capital spending are getting ahead of future demand.
Yet not every financing announcement deserves the same reaction. Nebius Group (NASDAQ:NBIS) demonstrated that point today after unveiling a new funding agreement that appears to strengthen — not weaken — its long-term investment case.
The market agreed, as shares are gaining about 3% in midday trading today following the announcement it secured $775 million in its first secured debt financing, with proceeds earmarked for expanding its global AI infrastructure footprint.
Why This Debt Looks Different Debt has become a dirty word in AI investing, but context matters. Nebius’s latest financing differs from the massive borrowing programs undertaken by the largest cloud providers because of both its structure and purpose.
Unlike the convertible notes Nebius previously issued, this financing is secured by tangible assets, likely including data centers and related infrastructure. Asset-backed debt generally carries lower borrowing costs while avoiding the shareholder dilution that often accompanies convertible securities.
Just as important, lenders don’t extend secured financing without rigorous due diligence. The collateral must have measurable value, and the underlying business needs enough visibility to support repayment. In that sense, this financing serves as another vote of confidence in Nebius’s expanding infrastructure platform.
Let’s not overlook timing either. AI compute remains in short supply, allowing infrastructure providers to monetize new capacity quickly when backed by committed customers.
Fueling A Business Already Growing Rapidly Nebius isn’t borrowing simply to keep the lights on. The financing is designed to accelerate a business already benefiting from powerful industry tailwinds.
The company has landed major contracts with hyperscalers, including Meta, while maintaining a close relationship with Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), whose GPUs remain the backbone of AI training and inference workloads. Those partnerships provide more revenue visibility than many early-stage infrastructure companies enjoy.
Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Nebius Group didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.
That visibility matters because Nebius is pursuing an ambitious global expansion strategy centered on building GPU clusters and data centers capable of serving enterprise and hyperscale customers. Every new facility creates additional revenue-generating capacity.
Ironically, this is where Nebius differs from many concerns surrounding hyperscaler debt. Meta, Microsoft, and Alphabet will each spend between $100 billion and $200 billion this year on AI infrastructure from already enormous revenue bases. Nebius, by comparison, is much smaller, making percentage growth far higher while requiring far less absolute capital to expand.
The financing also diversifies Nebius’s capital structure. Moving beyond equity raises and convertible debt lowers its weighted average cost of capital while demonstrating that traditional lenders increasingly view its infrastructure as financeable assets rather than speculative projects.
The Risks Haven’t Disappeared Granted, investors shouldn’t mistake this announcement for a guarantee of success. Nebius still carries debt from earlier convertible offerings, while constructing AI data centers remains expensive and operationally challenging. Delays, cost overruns, or weaker-than-expected AI demand could reduce utilization rates and pressure returns on those investments. Competition from hyperscalers that eventually monetize excess computing capacity also remains a long-term consideration.
Those risks deserve monitoring, but today’s financing actually reduces one of the biggest uncertainties: whether Nebius could continue funding its aggressive expansion without leaning heavily on shareholder dilution.
Key Takeaway In short, Nebius’s $775 million secured financing is more than another capital raise. It represents validation from sophisticated lenders that the company’s infrastructure has meaningful collateral value and that its expansion plans are supported by visible demand. Combined with its relationships with Meta and Nvidia, the financing strengthens a growth narrative that was already gaining traction.
For investors looking beyond today’s 3% share-price gain, this announcement suggests Nebius is evolving from a promising AI upstart into a company capable of financing growth on increasingly favorable terms. In an industry where access to capital often determines who wins, that’s an encouraging milestone.
Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Nebius Group didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.
Key Takeaways NBIS is expanding AI cloud capacity, products and partnerships while demand continues to exceed supply.C3.ai is restructuring operations, expanding AI adoption and improving enterprise product execution.NBIS reaffirmed its 2026 guidance, while AI faces revenue and profitability challenges Nebius Group N.V. (NBIS - Free Report) and C3.ai, Inc. (AI - Free Report) are capitalizing on the rapid adoption of AI, but they are pursuing distinct growth strategies to capture the expanding market opportunity. While Nebius is building an AI-native cloud infrastructure platform with a focus on hyperscale computing capacity, C3.ai is strengthening its enterprise AI software business through organizational changes, product enhancements and broader adoption of AI across its operations.
Both companies remain focused on expanding their AI capabilities and scaling their businesses to meet rising enterprise demand. However, their growth strategies, execution priorities and business models differ significantly, making the comparison important for investors seeking exposure to the AI sector.
Let’s evaluate their fundamentals, growth prospects, market challenges and valuations to determine which stock presents a stronger investment opportunity.
The Case for NBISNebius is rapidly expanding its AI-native hyperscaler platform by investing aggressively in capacity, products, customers and capital to strengthen its position in the AI infrastructure market. During the first quarter of 2026, the company increased its contracted power capacity from more than 2 gigawatts to more than 3.5 gigawatts and now expects to reach at least 4 gigawatts by the end of 2026. It also announced a new Pennsylvania facility that will support 1.2 gigawatts of power when fully operational. More than 75% of its contracted capacity is now owned, supporting its strategy of building a vertically integrated full-stack AI cloud platform. Management stated that the company is executing across four key pillars, capacity and scale, product and functionality, customers and demand, and capital, while remaining focused on disciplined execution across each area.
The company continues to expand beyond compute into cloud services that cover the complete AI lifecycle, including bare-metal infrastructure, multi-tenancy, inference and emerging agentic capabilities. NBIS strengthened its software and AI offerings through the acquisitions of Tavily, Eigen AI and Clarifai, which added experienced AI engineers and researchers while improving inference optimization, Token Factory capabilities and agentic search functionality. Management emphasized that these acquisitions accelerate product development, deepen customer engagement and strengthen Nebius' position as a full-stack AI cloud provider capable of serving a broader range of AI workloads.
Nebius is further reinforcing its AI leadership through an expanded partnership with NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA - Free Report) . The company achieved NVIDIA Exemplar Cloud status for GB300 training workloads, making it one of only a small number of cloud providers recognized across multiple GPU generations. Management noted that the partnership extends beyond hardware, providing differentiated GPU supply, closer collaboration on future NVIDIA platforms and deeper software integration for inference and agentic AI workloads. These initiatives strengthen Nebius' vertically integrated AI cloud platform while supporting future deployments built around NVIDIA's latest technologies.
Customer demand for Nebius' AI infrastructure remains exceptionally strong across AI-native companies, enterprises and software vendors, as well as industries including fintech, physical AI, life sciences, manufacturing, energy and pharmaceuticals. Management stated that several customers typically compete for every GPU brought online, while first-quarter pipeline generation increased 3.5 times sequentially. Demand continues to exceed available capacity, allowing the company to maintain strong pricing across GPU generations, extend contract durations, increase average contract values and receive growing customer prepayments to secure future AI capacity. The company also highlighted increasing momentum for its inference-focused Token Factory platform as AI adoption expands across enterprise and developer workloads.
Nebius delivered outstanding financial and operational performance during the first quarter, reflecting the strength of its expanding AI cloud business. Group revenue increased 684% year over year, while the Nebius AI business recorded 841% revenue growth and reached an annualized run-rate revenue of $1.9 billion. Group adjusted EBITDA margin improved to 32%, while the Nebius AI business achieved a 45% adjusted EBITDA margin. The balance sheet was further strengthened by a $4.3 billion convertible note offering, a $2 billion equity investment from NVIDIA and record customer prepayments, increasing cash and cash equivalents to $9.3 billion. Supported by this momentum, the company reaffirmed its 2026 guidance for annualized run-rate revenue of $7-$9 billion, group revenue of $3-$3.4 billion and an adjusted EBITDA margin of around 40%.
However, Nebius expects quarterly adjusted EBITDA margins to fluctuate during 2026 as it invests ahead of future capacity deployment. Management indicated that margins are likely to decline in the second quarter because infrastructure investments and operating expenses will be recognized before newly deployed capacity begins generating revenue. The company has also increased its 2026 capital expenditure guidance to $20-$25 billion from the previous $16-$20 billion range to support additional AI infrastructure planned for 2027. Nebius expects to utilize a combination of asset-backed financing, corporate debt, customer prepayments and other funding alternatives while maintaining a disciplined capital structure.
The Case for AIC3.ai is gaining from a broad restructuring initiative aimed at strengthening execution across the business. The company has reorganized its sales, products, services and federal operations under new leadership while introducing a strategic plan with clearly defined objectives. Product development has been consolidated under a single organization responsible for designing, developing, quality-assuring and delivering products, while the services organization has been redesigned with dedicated customer teams to support deployments through completion. Management highlighted that these changes are intended to improve customer satisfaction, enable more successful deployments and support the expansion of enterprise customer relationships.
The company is expanding its AI-first strategy by integrating agentic AI tools across the organization to improve productivity and execution. The company stated that its product teams are now using AI tools for programming activities, while legal, finance, sales and marketing functions have also adopted these agentic technologies. Sales teams are utilizing these tools to enhance market development, business development and customer penetration strategies. Management added that employees across every function are operating with an agentic AI-first mindset as the company focuses on execution and improving overall business performance.
C3.ai also highlighted several operational strengths, including a strong liquidity position and continued customer engagement. In fourth-quarter fiscal 2026, it signed nine initial production deployments, bringing the cumulative total to 417, with 251 remaining active through ongoing deployments, extensions or subscription and consumption agreements. Management also stated that cost reduction initiatives are progressing as planned and are expected to improve operating efficiency, free cash flow and support the company's long-term objectives.
However, C3.ai continues to face challenges from weak financial performance and declining revenue. Management acknowledged that the company's recent performance has been disappointing, describing sales execution as unacceptable and attributing the decline in revenue, remaining performance obligations and profitability primarily to poor sales discipline. The company reported quarterly revenue of $51.6 million, a non-GAAP operating loss of $54.4 million, a non-GAAP net loss of $48.8 million and negative free cash flow of $54.8 million.
C3.ai also indicated that uncertainty remains as it implements its new go-to-market strategy. On the last earnings call, management stated that the company has changed its sales organization and go-to-market approach, making it difficult to predict the future mix between software revenue, professional services, prioritized engineering services and demonstration licenses.

Redwire (RDW +4.08%) shares have surged twice over the past couple of years, only to fall off a cliff. It's a frustrating cycle given the company's intriguing growth potential as a supplier of components for space systems. Sometimes, volatility can create a life-changing buying opportunity, while other times, it's a signal to stay away.
It's crucial to understand what has held Redwire stock back in order to gauge what a $5,000 investment might look like in five years.
Strong growth potential, held back by two red flags Redwire supplies crucial components and systems to several high-growth industries, including satellites and drone systems, for both commercial and government applications.
The company reported first-quarter revenue of $97 million, up 57% year over year. Even more impressive was Redwire's 1.92 book-to-bill ratio, meaning that it booked far more new orders than it billed to customers. It points to the company's strong growth momentum. Management anticipates full-year sales of $450 million to $500 million, 49% growth from last year's $335.4 million at the high end of guidance.
However, Redwire is deeply unprofitable. The business has burned roughly $165 million in free cash flow over the past four quarters, and net losses are even worse at $300 million. Redwire's share count has risen, roughly tripling since early 2025, and management announced a new offering in June to sell up to $500 million of new common shares on the market.
Suppose you invested $5,000 today Although Redwire's revenue could grow by 49% this year, it's asking a lot to assume the company sustains that growth rate. Instead, I'll assume revenue grows at an annualized rate of 25% over five years. Starting with last year's $335 million in sales, revenue would hit $1 billion in five years.
The stock also seems a bit expensive at 10 times its trailing-12-month earnings. For instance, Heico, an established aerospace components company, trades at 3.4 times sales. That company is growing at about 17% but is already profitable. I'll assume that Redwire's valuation ultimately settles at 5 times sales.

Based on all that, Redwire would trade at a market value of approximately $5 billion in five years. That's a 150% return on the stock's current market cap of $2 billion, making Redwire a winner from here. Remember, that assumes a lot goes right over the next five years and doesn't factor in the recent $500 million offering or any additional shares added to the float during that period. The reality is that the returns could be far lower, even if the business does well.
Given the math above, I probably wouldn't chase Redwire at higher prices than where it is right now. That's at about $9 per share, far below its 52-week high. Above that, the risk becomes too high and the potential reward too low.
A downtrend has been apparent in D-Wave Quantum Inc. (QBTS - Free Report) lately with too much selling pressure. The stock has declined 32.2% over the past four weeks. However, given the fact that it is now in oversold territory and Wall Street analysts are majorly in agreement about the company's ability to report better earnings than they predicted earlier, the stock could be due for a turnaround.
We use Relative Strength Index (RSI), one of the most commonly used technical indicators, for spotting whether a stock is oversold. This is a momentum oscillator that measures the speed and change of price movements.
RSI oscillates between zero and 100. Usually, a stock is considered oversold when its RSI reading falls below 30.
Technically, every stock oscillates between being overbought and oversold irrespective of the quality of their fundamentals. And the beauty of RSI is that it helps you quickly and easily check if a stock's price is reaching a point of reversal.
So, by this measure, if a stock has gotten too far below its fair value just because of unwarranted selling pressure, investors may start looking for entry opportunities in the stock for benefiting from the inevitable rebound.
However, like every investing tool, RSI has its limitations, and should not be used alone for making an investment decision.
Here's Why QBTS Could Experience a TurnaroundThe heavy selling of QBTS shares appears to be in the process of exhausting itself, as indicated by its RSI reading of 29.83. So, the trend for the stock could reverse soon for reaching the old equilibrium of supply and demand.
The RSI value is not the only factor that indicates a potential turnaround for the stock in the near term. On the fundamental side, there has been strong agreement among the sell-side analysts covering the stock in raising earnings estimates for the current year. Over the last 30 days, the consensus EPS estimate for QBTS has increased 2.3%. And an upward trend in earnings estimate revisions usually translates into price appreciation in the near term.
Moreover, QBTS currently has a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), which means it is in the top 20% of more than 4,000 stocks that we rank based on trends in earnings estimate revisions and EPS surprises. This is a more conclusive indication of the stock's potential turnaround in the near term. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>> .
Hut 8 Mining Corp (TSX:HUT, Unlisted (US):HUTMF) shares climbed nearly 12% on Monday after the company announced a second long-term lease agreement for its Beacon Point AI data center campus in Texas, fully commercializing the 1-gigawatt facility and increasing its contracted data center portfolio.
The company announced a 15-year lease agreement covering 352 megawatts (MW) of IT capacity with the same high-investment-grade tenant that signed the first phase lease at the campus. The agreement carries a base-term contract value of $9.8 billion and brings the tenant’s total contracted capacity at Beacon Point to 704 MW.
With the transaction, Hut 8’s total contracted AI data center capacity rises to 949 MW across its portfolio, supported by 1,330 MW of utility capacity. The company reported aggregate base-term contract value of $26.6 billion and average annual net operating income of more than $1.75 billion across its contracted AI data center assets.
The Beacon Point campus, located in Nueces County, Texas, is secured by a 1,000 MW utility interconnection agreement with AEP Texas. Hut 8 said the second lease fully commercializes the campus, with the full 1,000 MW capacity now contracted under two 15-year agreements.
The second phase lease will support the development of another 352 MW AI factory designed around Nvidia’s DSX reference architecture for large-scale AI infrastructure. Hut 8 expects initial Phase 2 data hall delivery in the second quarter of 2028.
The company expects the second lease to contribute $9.8 billion in cumulative net operating income over the base term, or approximately $655 million annually once stabilized. Including both phases, Hut 8 expects the full Beacon Point campus to generate $1.31 billion in average annual NOI.
Hut 8 noted that three five-year renewal options under each lease could increase potential campus-level contract value to $50.2 billion if fully exercised.
“The real test of our power-first approach is what our partners are willing to commit against it,” Asher Genoot, CEO of Hut 8, said.
“Our tenant at Beacon Point chose to double its footprint at the site, the strongest validation an asset can receive. We took this greenfield site from first lease to full commercialization in just months,” he said.
“That speaks to the quality of the sites we originate, the credibility of our delivery, and the long-term orientation of our partnerships. The opportunity ahead of us is to apply the same model across our development pipeline.”
The company also highlighted its “power-first” development approach, which involves securing energy capacity before building data center infrastructure. Hut 8 said the Beacon Point project was initially developed around speed-to-power opportunities before being converted into a fully contracted AI data center campus.
Construction activity is underway at the site, with long-lead equipment procured and initial energization still expected in the first quarter of 2027, according to the company.
Taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals for new and old investors, and Zacks Premium offers many different ways to do both.
The research service features daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, full access to the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens, all of which will help you become a smarter, more confident investor.
Zacks Premium includes access to the Zacks Style Scores as well.
What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores is a unique set of guidelines that rates stocks based on three popular investing types, and were developed as complementary indicators for the Zacks Rank. This combination helps investors choose securities with the highest chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.
Each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics. Just like in school, an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on -- that means the better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform.
The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:
Value ScoreValue investors love finding good stocks at good prices, especially before the broader market catches on to a stock's true value. Utilizing ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and many other multiples, the Value Style Score identifies the most attractive and most discounted stocks.
Growth ScoreWhile good value is important, growth investors are more focused on a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score takes projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow into account to uncover stocks that will see long-term, sustainable growth.
Momentum ScoreMomentum trading is all about taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook, and these investors live by the saying "the trend is your friend." The Momentum Style Score can pinpoint good times to build a position in a stock, using factors like one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates.
VGM ScoreIf you want a combination of all three Style Scores, then the VGM Score will be your friend. It rates each stock on their combined weighted styles, helping you find the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum. It's also one of the best indicators to use with the Zacks Rank.
How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank The Zacks Rank is a proprietary stock-rating model that harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings expectations, to help investors build a successful portfolio.
Investors can count on the Zacks Rank's success, with #1 (Strong Buy) stocks producing an unmatched +23.94% average annual return since 1988, more than double the S&P 500's performance. But the model rates a large number of stocks, and there are over 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, plus another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.
But it can feel overwhelming to pick the right stocks for you and your investing goals with over 800 top-rated stocks to choose from.
That's where the Style Scores come in.
You want to make sure you're buying stocks with the highest likelihood of success, and to do that, you'll need to pick stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B. If you like a stock that only has a #3 (Hold) rank, it should also have Scores of A or B to guarantee as much upside potential as possible.
Since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank, the direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy.
For instance, a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one that boasts Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings forecast, and a much greater likelihood its share price will decline as well.
Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.
Stock to Watch: Brinker International (EAT - Free Report) Brinker International, Inc. is based in Dallas, TX. The company owns, operates, develops and franchises restaurants under the Chili’s Grill & Bar (Chili’s) and Maggiano’s Little Italy (Maggiano’s) brands. The company took over Chili’s, Inc., a Texas-based corporation, in September 1983. It completed the acquisition of Maggiano’s in August 1995.
EAT is a #3 (Hold) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of A.
Additionally, the company could be a top pick for growth investors. EAT has a Growth Style Score of A, forecasting year-over-year earnings growth of 20.8% for the current fiscal year.
One analyst revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days for fiscal 2026. The Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.01 to $10.75 per share. EAT boasts an average earnings surprise of +6.8%.
With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Growth and VGM Style Scores, EAT should be on investors' short list.

Key Takeaways BigBear.ai enhanced Ask Sage and CargoSeer to broaden enterprise AI capabilities and customer reach.BBAI increased its backlog 14% as new contracts expanded across airports, defense and logistics.Technology products are becoming a larger revenue mix, supporting improved gross margin. BigBear.ai Holdings, Inc. (BBAI - Free Report) is accelerating product innovation to strengthen its competitive position in artificial intelligence and secure more enterprise customers. During its first-quarter 2026 earnings call, management highlighted that faster product development, combined with a customer-centric operating model, is helping the company expand its reach beyond traditional government contracts.
The company has realigned its sales, technology, delivery and customer success teams around the needs of operators in national security, and trade and travel. This restructuring is expected to speed up product development and deployment while enabling BigBear.ai to tailor solutions more effectively to customer requirements. The strategy also supports quicker decision-making and closer collaboration with clients.
Innovation across its recently acquired platforms is already showing results. CargoSeer introduced AI-powered invoice fraud detection for air cargo. At the same time, Ask Sage launched Version 2 featuring a simplified user interface, faster workflows and advanced tools such as Agent Builder and CodeCanvas. The company also expanded Ask Sage into commercial markets, allowing enterprises and international partners to access its secure generative AI platform.
These enhancements are supporting customer momentum. BigBear.ai secured new contracts across airports, shipbuilding, NASA and defense agencies, contributing to a 14% sequential increase in backlog to $281.9 million. Management also noted that technology products are becoming a larger share of revenues, helping to improve gross margin despite continued investments in research, development and sales.
While near-term profitability remains under pressure due to higher operating investments, BigBear.ai's faster innovation cycle and expanding AI portfolio position it well to attract more enterprise clients. Sustained execution and broader commercial adoption will be key to translating these product advancements into long-term revenue growth.
Can BigBear.ai Keep Pace With AI Industry Leaders?BigBear.ai faces intense competition from larger AI software providers like Palantir Technologies (PLTR - Free Report) and C3.ai (AI - Free Report) , both of which are expanding their enterprise AI offerings. Palantir continues to strengthen its commercial business through the Artificial Intelligence Platform, helping enterprises deploy generative AI applications at scale. Its strong customer adoption, growing commercial revenues and deep integration capabilities make Palantir a formidable rival in winning large enterprise contracts.
C3.ai is also focused on accelerating enterprise AI adoption through industry-specific applications across manufacturing, energy, financial services and defense. The company continues to enhance its generative AI capabilities while expanding partnerships with major cloud providers to broaden customer reach.
Unlike these broader AI platforms, BigBear.ai differentiates itself through mission-ready AI solutions tailored for national security, border protection, logistics and critical infrastructure. Its recent enhancements to Ask Sage and CargoSeer, along with a faster product development cycle, could help the company capture niche enterprise opportunities. However, sustained innovation and successful commercialization will be essential for BigBear.ai to compete effectively against larger and better-capitalized AI rivals.

IREN Ltd (IREN) shares are ripping higher this morning following a significant operational update that alleviate capital expenditure concerns and boosts the firm’s long-term financial outlook.
The Australian vertically integrated data center and artificial intelligence (AI) cloud company says it has signed $2.8 billion in total contract value across new multi-year cloud services contracts.
Despite today’s surge, IREN stock continues to trade roughly 40% below its recent high.
Investors are cheering IREN shares today primarily because the said agreements expand the firm’s footprint across both bare-metal and managed cloud services.
Notably, its active customer roster now boasts key hyperscalers, frontier artificial intelligence labs, and enterprise clients, including Microsoft, Nvidia, Figure AI, Perplexity, and Together AI.
This signals durable, “high‑margin” recurring revenue – reinforcing visibility into IREN’s scaling trajectory and materially strengthening confidence in its multi‑year growth runway.
From a technical perspective, IREN now looks headed to challenge its 20-day MA, with a decisive break above the $43 level expected to boost upward momentum in the near-term.
IREN stock is extending gains on July 20th also because these new signings made management lift its AI annual recurring revenue (ARR) guidance.
The company now expects its ARR to surpass $4 billion this year, up from the previously estimated $3.7 billion.
Crucially, management noted that about 85% of this new $4 billion+ target is already locked in under contract.
For a neocloud operator scaling physical data center infrastructure, the burden of purchasing high-end GPUs is typically the heaviest strain on cash flow.
A major catalyst for rising institutional interest today is that these recent contracts include customer prepayments covering roughly 45% of the associated GPU capital expenditure.
This lowers IREN’s net external funding requirements and minimizes the threat of near-term equity dilution.
All in all, the announcement brings much-needed reprieve to IREN shares that have otherwise been under immense pressure amidst broader AI infrastructure valuation fatigue in recent months.
Today’s update effectively proves that demand for data center capacity remains robust and – more importantly – validates IREN’s ability to convert its huge 5 GW secured power pipeline into highly lucrative, contracted, and partially upfront-funded recurring revenue.
The renewed momentum also helps reset sentiment around IREN’s execution cadence, positioning the stock to re‑rate as investors increasingly reward operators with contracted scale, upfront capital support, and demonstrable leverage on their power‑rich infrastructure portfolios.
Investors could also take heart in the fact that Wall Street firms remain super bullish on IREN for the remainder of 2026.
While the consensus rating on it sits at Moderate Buy, the mean price target of nearly $81 signals the stock could more than double from here over the next 12 months.
Shares of the artificial intelligence (AI) cloud provider Iren Limited (IREN +20.14%) jumped nearly 20% Monday morning after a big revision to its 2026 revenue target. The announcement showed that AI infrastructure investments continue to grow, despite fears that a bubble is forming.
Iren stock eased off its early jump, but remained up by 16.7% as of 11:45 a.m. ET.

AI developers keep spending Tech stocks have been volatile recently as investors balance the massive spending to build out compute capacity for AI models with fears of a bubble if companies do not receive proper returns on those investments.
Iren announced today that it has continued to sign contracts to lease out its data center capacity. It says it has new long-term cloud service agreements that allow it to raise its year-end annual revenue run rate to over $4 billion. That's up from $3.7 billion and assumes its planned cloud capacity increases are completed this year.

As companies need more computing resources for AI training and inference, they are seeking contracts with companies like Iren. Its customers include tech giants such as Nvidia and Microsoft, as well as private cloud computing companies like Perplexity and Fluidstack.
The biggest reason investors jumped in today may be that the company noted that "contracted pricing continues to strengthen."
That's a good sign that companies are confident that they will see proper returns on these investments, and that demand for Iren's capacity remains strong.

NEW YORK, July 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Levi & Korsinsky, LLP highlights the contrast between Futu Holdings Limited's (NASDAQ: FUTU) public assurances and what allegedly happened behind the scenes. Investors who purchased FUTU securities between May 24, 2023 and May 27, 2026 and suffered losses may be entitled to compensation. FUTU shares lost $34.10 per share on May 22, 2026, a 27.5% single-session decline, after regulators proposed penalties of approximately USD 271 million. The lead plaintiff deadline is August 25, 2026.
The Promise: Compliance Through Rectification
Beginning in 2023, Futu repeatedly told the investing public that it was cooperating with the China Securities Regulatory Commission. In its FY2023 annual report filed with the SEC, the Company stated it had "taken and may continue to take rectification measures on our business based on the requirements from the CSRC." The Company pointed to the removal of its Futubull app from mainland Chinese app stores as evidence of its compliance efforts. Across multiple SEC filings through 2025, Futu used nearly identical language, creating the impression that regulatory risk was being actively managed and reduced.
The Reality: Continued Unlicensed Operations
The CSRC's May 2026 Notification Letter told a different story, the lawsuit contends. According to the action, Futu entities in mainland China and Hong Kong had continued to conduct securities business, public fund sales, and futures business without obtaining the requisite licenses or approval. The rectification measures Futu publicly touted allegedly did not stop the unlicensed activity that regulators had flagged years earlier.
The Numbers: Promised vs. Actual
The Promise: "We have taken rectification measures … based on the requirements from the CSRC" (FY2023 and FY2024 20-F filings)The Reality: CSRC proposed confiscation of RMB 470 million in illegal gains, confirming alleged continued unlicensed operationsThe Promise: Risk factor language framing penalties as speculative possibilities that "could" or "may" occurThe Reality: RMB 1.85 billion aggregate penalty proposed, approximately USD 271 millionThe Promise: Quarterly earnings releases touting paying client growth from 1.5 million to over 3.3 million (funded accounts) and client assets surging past HK$900 billionThe Reality: Revenue generated from mainland Chinese investors was allegedly derived from unlicensed activity, rendering reported financial growth figures materially misleading Speak with an attorney about whether you can recover damages or call (212) 363-7500.
What the Lawsuit Alleges About the Gap
The complaint asserts that Futu's public statements created a false narrative of regulatory cooperation while the Company continued the precise conduct the CSRC had warned against. Quarter after quarter, Futu reported surging client numbers, expanding trading volumes, and rising revenues without disclosing that a material portion of this growth allegedly stemmed from business conducted in violation of Chinese securities regulations.
The gap between what investors were told and what was allegedly occurring is at the core of this securities action. When the CSRC finally proposed its penalty in May 2026, investors absorbed losses of more than $34 per share in a single trading session, followed by an additional $5.31 per share decline days later when Q1 2026 earnings reflected the penalty's financial impact.
"Companies that make specific promises to investors about future performance have an obligation to disclose known risks to those projections. The contrast between Futu's repeated assurances of regulatory cooperation and the scale of the proposed penalty raises serious questions about the adequacy of the Company's disclosures throughout the Class Period." -- Joseph E. Levi, Esq.

A: The complaint alleges Futu Holdings made materially false or misleading statements regarding its compliance with CSRC regulatory requirements and the adequacy of its rectification measures during the Class Period. Q: How much did FUTU stock drop? A: Shares fell approximately 27.5%, a decline of $34.10 per share, after the Company disclosed receipt of a CSRC Notification Letter proposing penalties of approximately USD 271 million. Q: Do I need to go to court or give testimony? A: No. The overwhelming majority of class members never appear in court or give depositions. You submit a claim form to receive your portion of recovery.
Q: What does it cost me to participate? A: Nothing. Securities class actions are handled on a pure contingency basis. No upfront fees, no retainer, no out-of-pocket costs.

According to the complaint, on May 22, 2026, before the market opened, Reuters published an article reporting that the China Securities Regulatory Commission ("CSRC"), along with seven other government agencies including the central bank, had launched a crackdown aimed at "brokers it accused of illegally moving money to foreign markets" including "overseas firms and their local partners operating without approval." The article allegedly reported that online brokers including Futu "would be penalised for soliciting business in China without an onshore licence, the securities regulator said."
Also on May 22, 2026, Futu disclosed in a press release that it had received a Notification Letter from the CSRC. The Company reported the letter states "certain Futu entities in mainland China and Hong Kong (the "Related Companies") without obtaining the requisite licenses or approval, conducted securities business, public fund sales business and futures business in mainland China." Shares of Space Exploration Technologies Corp (SPCX +0.39%) have been in a tailspin of late. The rocket company, which is also eyeing massive opportunities in artificial intelligence (AI), initially soared when its shares began trading last month, but the rally has since cooled significantly. Last week, the stock fell to below its IPO price of $135, closing at just under $124 on Friday.
Will the stock, which is more commonly known as just SpaceX, continue to fall, or is it likely to bounce back? Here's where I think it's headed.
Why SpaceX's stock could finish the year below $100 SpaceX, for all its hype, is a grossly overvalued stock that's based primarily on rosy expectations of future growth rather than strong fundamentals. That's a big risk, particularly in a market that looks as frothy as this one. Although the stock's initial gains were promising and at one point it looked like its valuation could rise above $3 trillion, a pullback was highly likely. In fact, it's come sooner than I expected.
However, even today, with the stock's value falling, its market cap remains extremely high at $1.6 trillion. This is, after all, a business that generated $19 billion in sales last year and incurred a net loss of more than $4.9 billion. Those are not the kinds of numbers you'd expect from a business at this type of valuation. Momentum and excitement can drive a stock's value higher, but it's unlikely to last long.
As lockups on SpaceX's stock begin expiring later this year, insiders may have a strong incentive to sell their shares, given the company's inflated valuation. Thus, there may be more downward pressure on the stock in the near future. This is why I don't think it's a huge stretch to expect the stock to trade far lower this year, and why it may finish the year below $100.

Buying SpaceX stock today is a big gamble If SpaceX can put data centers in space and help send humans to Mars, its valuation could skyrocket. The problem with its growth story is that it's based on exceptionally high hopes, and the person leading the business, Elon Musk, is known for making rosy forecasts and setting expectations high, only to often fall short in one way or another.
High expectations combined with poor financials could doom SpaceX stock to fall further in both the short and long term, which is why I'd stay far away from it.
HomeInvestingStocksOutside the BoxOutside the BoxThe hidden danger of chasing hyped initial public offerings? Skipping the fine print.July 20, 2026, 10:21 a.m. ET
Not long ago, I was at a dinner where a guest described the lengths they had gone to in pursuit of SpaceX shares SPCX. They searched for venture funds that happened to own the company. They looked for former employees willing to sell. They explored secondary marketplaces where shares traded at eye-watering premiums. They tried to get into a co-invest. They asked custodians if there was any way to source stock at IPO. Each path led to another dead end or another markup they shied away from.
SpaceX shares continued their decline on Monday, falling about 1.25% to around $122. The stock remained well below its $135 initial public offering price.
After having to abort its launch on July 16, Space Exploration Technologies Corp (SPCX +0.64%) has rescheduled its 13th test flight for Starship to Thursday, July 23.
Starship is the company’s heavy-lift, fully reusable rocket that SpaceX has invested over $15 billion in so far.
The rocket is key to the company’s thesis, which hinges on SpaceX being able to launch super-heavy payloads into orbit with quick turnaround times.
With the stock struggling as of late, the market will be paying close attention to the upcoming test flight. Here’s what investors need to know.
What the test flight will seek to accomplishStarship’s 13th test flight is looking to perform similar objectives as previous test flights, specifically “a successful launch, ascent, stage separation, boostback burn, and landing burn at an offshore landing point in the Gulf of America,” according to the company.
Furthermore, the company has made changes to Starship’s hardware and software to correct issues that occurred on test flight 12.
SpaceX has altered the startup sequence, so Starship can better change directions. Test flight 12 had some issues with its directional flip, which was off by roughly 90 degrees.
Last Thursday, as Starship prepared for its 13th test flight, an automated abort command got triggered after four of the ship’s 33 engines failed to ignite, according to Reuters.
On X, SpaceX Founder Elon Musk wrote that the company is planning to replace two of the Raptor engines on Starship’s boosters.
Everything hinges on StarshipThe market did not respond well to the launch abort last week, erasing $100 billion of market cap that day, despite setbacks on test flights not being all that uncommon.
But it shows just how crucial Starship is to SpaceX’s future.

A massive part of SpaceX’s total addressable market and therefore valuation has to do with the company’s artificial intelligence unit, which is heavily focused on launching orbital data centers that can gobble up significant AI compute market share.
In SpaceX’s registration statement, the company says that Starship’s fully-reusable rocket is designed to carry 100 metric tons to Earth’s orbit “while enabling rapid turnaround times akin to commercial aviation,” with future Starship models designed to double capacity.
The company also expects Starship to begin orbital payload delivery by the second half of this year, with orbital AI compute satellites to be deployed as earlI as 2028. it’s hard to know how close Starship is to getting to this point.
That said, having Starship be so important to the thesis could turn out to be a tailwind if SpaceX proves the bears wrong.
"If this is how the market reacts to a precautionary abort, I can't wait to see how it responds to a successful flight," Space Capital CEO Chad Anderson told Reuters, adding that he views the company as a long-term opportunity. "Zoom out and none of this changes the thesis: we're in the early innings of a multi-decade infrastructure cycle, and Starship is the centerpiece."
Anderson may very well be right, but no one can say with certainty whether Starship will work as expected, stick to the company’s timeline, or be able to turnaround missions like a typical airline.
This in my view makes SpaceX stock a big gamble, especially given it’s already massive valuation.
I don’t think it’s bad to take a smaller, more speculative position, given the company’s potential, but I see making the stock a large position as too risky right now.
Taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals for new and old investors, and Zacks Premium offers many different ways to do both.
The popular research service can help you become a smarter, more self-assured investor, giving you access to daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens.
Zacks Premium also includes the Zacks Style Scores.
What are the Zacks Style Scores? Developed alongside the Zacks Rank, the Zacks Style Scores are a group of complementary indicators that help investors pick stocks with the best chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.
Momentum ScoreMomentum traders and investors live by the saying "the trend is your friend." This investing style is all about taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Employing factors like one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, the Momentum Style Score can indicate favorable times to build a position in high-momentum stocks.
VGM ScoreWhat if you like to use all three types of investing? The VGM Score is a combination of all Style Scores, making it one of the most comprehensive indicators to use with the Zacks Rank. It rates each stock on their combined weighted styles, which helps narrow down the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum.
How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank A proprietary stock-rating model, the Zacks Rank utilizes the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings outlook, to help investors create a successful portfolio.
With more than 800 top-rated stocks to choose from, it can certainly feel overwhelming to pick the ones that are right for you and your investing journey.
The direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should always be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy, since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank.
A stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, for instance, even one with Scores of A and B, will still have a declining earnings forecast, and a greater chance its share price will fall too.
Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores is a unique set of guidelines that rates stocks based on three popular investing types, and were developed as complementary indicators for the Zacks Rank. This combination helps investors choose securities with the highest chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.
Each stock is given an alphabetic rating of A, B, C, D or F based on their value, growth, and momentum qualities. With this system, an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on, meaning the better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform.
The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:
Value ScoreFor value investors, it's all about finding good stocks at good prices, and discovering which companies are trading under their true value before the broader market catches on. The Value Style Score utilizes ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and a host of other multiples to help pick out the most attractive and discounted stocks.
Growth ScoreGrowth investors are more concerned with a stock's future prospects, and the overall financial health and strength of a company. Thus, the Growth Style Score analyzes characteristics like projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks that will see sustainable growth over time.
Momentum ScoreMomentum investors, who live by the saying "the trend is your friend," are most interested in taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Utilizing one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, among other factors, the Momentum Style Score can help determine favorable times to buy high-momentum stocks.
This totals more than 800 top-rated stocks, and it can be overwhelming to try and pick the best stocks for you and your portfolio.
That's where the Style Scores come in.
To maximize your returns, you want to buy stocks with the highest probability of success. This means picking stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B. If you find yourself looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, make sure they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.
The direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should always be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy, since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank.
Stock to Watch: Apple (AAPL - Free Report) Apple’s business primarily runs around its flagship iPhone. The Services portfolio that includes revenues from cloud services, App store, Apple Music, AppleCare, Apple Pay, and licensing and other services now contributes a significant part of revenues.
AAPL is a #3 (Hold) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of B.
Additionally, the company could be a top pick for growth investors. AAPL has a Growth Style Score of B, forecasting year-over-year earnings growth of 17.4% for the current fiscal year.
For fiscal 2026, three analysts revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days, and the Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.02 to $8.76 per share. AAPL boasts an average earnings surprise of +7.3%.
With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Growth and VGM Style Scores, AAPL should be on investors' short list.
I keep buying Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL | AAPL Price Prediction), and the more I read about what its Magnificent Seven peers are spending on AI, the harder my conviction gets. Every quarter I look at what this company actually does with the cash a phone business throws off, and I add to the position again.
Here is what pulls me back to the buy button. Apple sells hardware and software that hundreds of millions of people already use every day, and it turns that installed base into recurring cash. 2.5B+ active devices is the moat. Apple monetizes intelligence through the phones and Macs already sitting on desks, so it does not need to build a data center empire to justify an AI story.
The Receipts Three data points anchor the position. First, cash generation. Full fiscal 2025 revenue was $416.16B, net income was $112.01B, and operating cash flow reached $111.48B. Buybacks alone consumed $90.71B of that. Q2 FY26 layered on $111.18B in revenue (up 16.6% YoY), EPS of $2.01 beating by 3.59% (the 8th consecutive quarter of beating expectations), a fresh $100B buyback authorization, and a 4% dividend raise to $0.27 per quarter.
Second, the balance sheet. Return on equity of 171.42%, return on invested capital of 53.35%, operating margin of 31.97%, and $147 billion in cash and marketable securities against $85 billion in debt. Third, capex discipline. Apple’s full FY25 capex was $12.7B, and Q1 FY26 capex ran $2.37B, down 19.29% YoY.
Why Not Microsoft or Alphabet Those are the two names a reader reaches for first when they think “AI winner.” Both sit inside the hyperscaler capex curve I want to avoid. Vanguard’s 2026 outlook projects AI scalers will spend roughly $2.1 trillion on capital investment from Q1 2025 through Q4 2027. Goldman Sachs’ 2026 outlook flags that hyperscaler capex plus buybacks and dividends have consumed ~95% of operating cash flows over the last 12 months vs ~80% in 2019, forcing some of them into credit markets to keep the machine running. That is the trap I do not want retirement money exposed to.
Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Apple didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.
CFO Kevan Parekh drew the line on the Q2 call: “From the start we have believed AI is a really important investment area for Apple Inc., and we are going to be doing that incrementally on top of what we normally invest in our product roadmap.” Incremental. Inside an existing product framework. Tim Cook backs the product side: “Apple Intelligence is woven into the core of our platforms, powered by Apple silicon and designed from the ground up to deliver intelligence that is fast, personal, and private.”
The Real Risk Valuation. Trailing P/E of 41 and forward P/E of 33 leave little margin for error. If iPhone growth stalls, or if Greater China ($20.497 billion in Q2 FY26) turns on tariff or regulatory pressure, this multiple compresses. I hold that risk clearly. What keeps the thesis intact: Services set an all-time record at $30.98B, Greater China grew 28% in the March quarter, and management guided June quarter revenue growth of 14% to 17%. Growth is still on the right side of that multiple.
The buy button stays active because Apple is turning the AI cycle into cash rather than capex, and every quarter the receipts get thicker.

A severe macroeconomic grid power shortage has quietly transformed physical artificial intelligence (AI) compute capacity into the technology sector's most valuable commodity. By leveraging its vast infrastructure to lease processing power to Anthropic, Meta Platforms NASDAQ: META is aggressively pivoting from a hardware consumer to a commercial cloud landlord, challenging established hyperscalers directly at the compute bottleneck.

The conversation around artificial intelligence has historically centered on silicon. Investors constantly ask how many chips a business can buy and how fast it can deploy them. That narrative is rapidly evolving. Banking analysts project a U.S. electricity supply gap exceeding 100 gigawatts by 2030. Upgrading the domestic power grid requires high-voltage transformers and transmission lines that are currently experiencing multi-year manufacturing backlogs.
The primary bottleneck is no longer just securing graphics processing units, but finding an energized facility to plug them in. Companies with existing physical footprints, secured data centers, and locked-in power purchase agreements hold a structural advantage that competitors cannot replicate by raising capital.
Building Business: The 14-Gigawatt InfrastructureMeta Platforms is navigating an immense capital expenditure cycle. Management projects spending between $125 billion and $145 billion in 2026 alone, predominantly directed toward AI hardware and data center expansion.
To the untrained eye, that level of cash burn looks like an operational liability. When a technology enterprise spends that aggressively, market participants typically worry about margin compression, fearing that the upfront costs will erode bottom-line profitability before the investments generate a measurable return.
Viewing this purely as an expense misses the strategic land grab taking place. Meta Platforms is essentially acquiring highly sought-after real estate in a supply-shocked compute market.
The internal initiative, Meta Compute, aims to build approximately 14 gigawatts of AI compute capacity by 2027. Meta Platforms is bypassing the utility grid bottlenecks that currently paralyze smaller developers. The underlying enterprise value is shifting from purely digital advertising yields to the direct ownership of secured, energized infrastructure.
Signing the Lease: Anthropic Rents Meta's PowerThe clearest validation of this infrastructure thesis surfaced with preliminary negotiations to lease data center computing capacity to AI developer Anthropic. The proposed transaction is valued at up to $10 billion over 2 years and structured as monthly installments. The deal reportedly includes mutual early-termination clauses, acting as a pragmatic safety valve should Meta Platforms require the physical capacity for its own internal development.
Why would a tier-one AI developer bypass traditional hyperscalers like Amazon's NASDAQ: AMZN Web Services or Microsoft's NASDAQ: MSFT Azure? The decision comes down to absolute necessity and compute scarcity. Anthropic has faced substantial processing bottlenecks, previously enforcing usage limits on advanced models like Claude Fable because Anthropic lacked the raw capacity to run them at scale. Securing processing power from a social media giant mirrors Anthropic's recent multi-billion-dollar infrastructure lease with SpaceX. Top-tier AI developers are scouring the market for any energized compute they can find, regardless of the provider's primary industry.
Meta Platforms is not treating this as a temporary favor. The strategic hiring of former AWS Senior Vice President Dave Brown to lead Meta Compute signals a formalized assault on enterprise cloud market share. At the May 2026 shareholder meeting, management explicitly validated these commercial cloud ambitions, confirming that they receive weekly inbound inquiries for spare compute capacity. Meta Platforms is taking dormant GPU stockpiles intended for internal open-source model development and generating immediate commercial yield.
Collecting the Rent: High-Margin Infrastructure YieldTransitioning idle hardware into a $10 billion revenue stream creates a highly efficient strategic dynamic. Meta Platforms captures recurring, high-margin revenue from an industry peer while pricing its scarce physical processing power at a premium. This recurring revenue helps subsidize the immense capital expenditure required to build out the 14-gigawatt footprint, directly mitigating the margin compression investors initially feared.
Fundamentally, the underlying business remains remarkably robust. Meta's stock price recently closed at $646.
Meta Platforms, Inc. (META) Price Chart for Monday, July, 20, 2026
Meta has a market capitalization of $1.63 trillion and trades at a trailing price-to-earnings ratio of 23.48, compared with a forward multiple of 21.93. When the forward multiple is lower than the trailing multiple, it indicates analysts expect earnings to grow faster than the current share price implies, suggesting a relatively grounded valuation given the broader technology sector's premium pricing.
Profitability metrics underscore a highly efficient operation. Meta Platforms commands a net margin of 32.84% and an exceptional return on equity of 36.93%. A high return on equity indicates that management is efficiently generating profits from shareholders' capital. Building physical data centers is historically a low-margin endeavor, but operating with a 36% ROE implies Meta Platforms knows how to extract maximum value from every dollar deployed. The balance sheet remains flush with liquidity, carrying a current ratio of 2.35 and a conservative debt-to-equity ratio of 0.24.
During the first quarter, Meta Platforms delivered a $3.77 earnings-per-share beat alongside a 33.1% year-over-year revenue growth. Despite the aggressive capital expenditure cycle, management continues to prioritize shareholder yield. The recent implementation of a 52.5-cent-per-share quarterly dividend provides a crucial baseline of support for long-term investors waiting for the hyperscaler pivot to mature.
The Sublet Trap: When Meta Needs Its Own PowerEvery major business model pivot carries execution risk. The core premise is that Meta Platforms possesses dormant compute stockpiles. Sustained use by external entities like Anthropic could eventually lead to compute rationing for internal open-source Llama model development. If Meta Platforms leases too much power, the organization risks stalling its own AI advancements.
Transitioning to a commercial hyperscaler forces the company into direct, capital-intensive competition with established cloud providers. This shift introduces enterprise-level sales and business-to-business support requirements to an organization that has historically been optimized for consumer data and digital advertising.
Investors tracking insider behavior will notice a net selling trend, reflecting capital distribution among executives. A confirmed transaction occurred on July 7, involving a corporate director liquidating $303,875.00 in equity. While insider selling often reflects routine portfolio diversification or tax obligations, it remains a metric worth monitoring during a structural transition.
Holding the Deed: Why Infrastructure Beats SiliconThe shift from a hardware consumer to a provider of physical infrastructure represents a fundamental evolution in how the market should value Meta Platforms. The secured data centers, power agreements, and localized grid connections are forming a physical moat that competitors will struggle to breach before the end of the decade.
Investors seeking exposure to the structural power shortages in the AI supply chain might want to evaluate companies that already hold energized assets rather than focusing solely on chip designers. Evaluating the upcoming July 29 earnings call for updates on the Anthropic lease and the broader Meta Compute initiative could provide valuable clarity on the pace of this cloud transition. Cautious market participants may prefer to watch how effectively the new enterprise sales division scales operations before allocating fresh capital to the space.

I keep hitting the buy button on Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META | META Price Prediction), and the reason is simple: the market is pricing this company as if the AI capex bill will crush the P&L, and the numbers say the opposite.
Shares closed at $646.01 on July 17, down 7.6% over the trailing year and 1.96% year to date. I read the raised $125 to $145 billion capex guide as a receipt for compounding infrastructure returns. Three numbers keep pulling me back.
The Custom Silicon Shift On the Q1 2026 call, CFO Susan Li said the capex bump reflected “higher component pricing this year and, to a lesser extent, additional data center costs to support future-year capacity.” Mark Zuckerberg then flagged that Meta is rolling out “more than one gigawatt of our own custom silicon that we are developing with Broadcom” alongside AMD chips complementing the NVIDIA systems. That MTIA blend, co-developed on a cost-efficient 2nm architecture, structurally lowers the component inflation premium and smooths the downstream depreciation hit that bears model uniformly.
Massive EBITDA Leverage Q1 2026 revenue grew 33.08% YoY to $56.31 billion. Operating income rose 30.29% to $22.87 billion. Ad impressions climbed 19% YoY and price per ad rose 12%. TTM EBITDA is $109.3 billion on $214.96 billion of revenue. The core ad machine runs at roughly 62% EBITDA margin, and that is what absorbs rising depreciation with virtually zero threat to overall profitability.
Wholesale Compute Salvage The bear case assumes under-utilized GPU capacity becomes balance-sheet dead weight. Meta’s pivot to renting out surplus compute as a wholesale cloud utility monetizes the hardware while it depreciates. Jim Cramer described the setup on Mad Money on July 6, 2026, noting Meta could “join the ranks of the new clouds” that sell computing power externally. Surplus GPUs turn into revenue rather than overhead.

Why Meta and Not the Obvious Alternatives Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL) is the reflex pick for AI-plus-ads exposure. I pass. Meta prints an operating margin of 40.6%, ROE of 32.9%, a gross margin of 82%, and 3.56 billion daily active people across the Family of Apps. Snap (NYSE:SNAP) and Pinterest (NYSE:PINS) are the social-ads pure plays readers reach for. Neither matches Meta’s 30.08% net margin, interest coverage of 71.5, and debt-to-equity of just 0.386. Meta trades at a P/E of 23 and forward P/E of 21 with a PEG of 0.942 while generating $115.8 billion in FY2025 operating cash flow.
The Real Risk Reality Labs lost $4.03 billion in Q1 2026 and $19.2 billion for full-year 2025. Add EU regulatory pressure and the 2026 youth-litigation trials management has flagged as potentially material. Those are real drags. They also sit outside the ad engine that produced $55.909 billion in Q1 Family of Apps revenue. The market has been discounting Reality Labs for years.
Forward Conviction Prediction markets currently assign a 92.5% probability to a Q2 earnings beat and a 36.5% modal probability of 9%-12% price-per-ad growth. Analyst consensus target sits at $822.69. My conviction rests on something simpler: a company earning a 30.24% ROE while building the infrastructure that will compound the next decade of ad monetization. I keep buying because the depreciation Wall Street fears is the moat I am paying for.

Meta has become the poster child for the hyperscaler AI spending race. 2026 has been a tug of war between blockbuster earnings and rising anxiety about capex translation into shareholder returns. Our proprietary model sees material upside from here.
Our 24/7 Wall St. price target for Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META | META Price Prediction) is $892.70 over the next 12 months, implying 38.19% upside from $646.01. The recommendation is a buy with high confidence (90%).
24/7 Wall St. Price Target Summary Metric Value Current Price $646.01 24/7 Wall St. Price Target $892.70 Upside 38.19% Recommendation BUY Confidence Level 90% Why META Has Traded Sideways Despite a Blowout Quarter Meta is down 1.96% year to date and 7.6% over the past year, sitting 4% below its 52-week high of $793.65.
Q1 2026 delivered revenue of $56.31 billion growing 33.08% year over year and EPS of $10.44 beating consensus by 56.79%, the fifth straight beat. Yet shares fell 8.55% as investors digested a raised full-year capex range of $125 to $145 billion.
A Benzinga report flagged a potential $10 billion AI deal with Anthropic, and JPMorgan described Meta’s aggressive Model API pricing as “the first significant step toward monetizing its substantial AI investments beyond advertising.”
The Case for $1,015 and Higher Bulls argue advertising funds AI expansion. Q1 ad impressions rose 19% YoY and price per ad rose 12%, with Family of Apps daily active people at 3.56 billion. Zuckerberg framed the strategy plainly: “Our biggest milestone so far this year has been the release of our Muse family of models.”
UBS carries a Buy with a $766 target, and analyst coverage skews 57 Buy ratings versus 6 Holds and zero Sells. Our bull case pegs META at $1,015.75, a 57.23% return.
What Could Go Wrong The bear case centers on capex return on investment. FY25 capex hit $72.22 billion and 2026 guidance stretches to $145 billion. Reality Labs continues to bleed with a $4.03 billion Q1 operating loss. Regulatory overhang includes 2026 youth-related trials that could produce material judgments.
Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Meta didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.
Susan Li acknowledged the planning tension: “We have continued to underestimate our compute needs even as we have been ramping capacity significantly.” Free cash flow of $43.59 billion in FY25 gives Meta room to absorb misfires. Our bear case leaves META at $765.23, an 18.45% gain.
How Meta Stacks Up Against Alphabet and Pinterest Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOGL) is the sharpest comp: another ad-funded hyperscaler racing on AI infrastructure. Alphabet’s Q1 2026 revenue grew 21.8% to $109.9 billion with Google Cloud up 63%, and management guided 2026 capex to $175 to $185 billion. Alphabet’s growth is faster today, but Meta’s 21 forward P/E versus Meta’s higher earnings acceleration keeps our target defensible.
Pinterest (NYSE: PINS) is the small-cap visual-discovery comp. Pinterest Q1 2026 revenue grew 17.84% to $1.01 billion with 631 million MAUs, but lacks Meta’s 3.56 billion DAP scale and cash-generation profile. That gap makes our multiple assumptions for META reasonable.
I’d Buy It Here The 24/7 Wall St. price target is $892.70 with a buy rating and 90% confidence. Forward EPS of $41.14 against a 21 forward multiple leaves room.
I would buy here if Q2 revenue lands inside the $58 to $61 billion guide and ad pricing stays double digits. I would stay on the sidelines if 2027 capex guidance leaks materially above 2026 without a monetization roadmap.
Year 24/7 Wall St. Price Target 2026 $892.70 2027 $1,050 2028 $1,235 2029 $1,415 2030 $1,598.80 These projections assume Meta executes on Superintelligence Labs and defends ad share. Significant upside or downside could come from AI monetization pace and regulatory rulings in youth-related litigation.

There's no denying Tesla (TSLA 1.43%) ushered electric vehicles (EVs) into the mainstream, even making them cool. And for a long time, being the first to do so meant Tesla was the biggest and best-known name in the business.
Nothing invites competition to a new market like a proven opportunity, though. Now, Tesla's facing a slew of competitors, with one particular EV titan to worry about. That's China's BYD Company (BYDDY +1.42%), which shipped 557,090 battery-powered vehicles last quarter alone, topping Tesla's much-improved total of 480,126, and reclaiming the top spot temporarily lost in Q1.
Data source: CNEVPost. Chart by author.
The question is, what does this mean for Tesla shareholders?
Two finer points behind the broad numbers The numbers in and of themselves don't mean much. A stock's value is relative to that particular company's history and likely future. Both BYD and Tesla could perform well enough to satisfy each organization's shareholders.
In a more qualitative context, though, the two numbers underscore a couple of noteworthy details.
One of these is how, while BYD continues to outsell Tesla in China (as could be expected), it's also doing remarkably well in Europe, where Tesla has historically led. BYD delivered a record-breaking 175,349 electric automobiles to overseas markets in June alone, up nearly 95% year over year, with European demand remaining strong after last year's total shipments to that market growing 270%.
The other top talking point from the two companies' recent delivery numbers is one that Tesla supporters are quick to highlight. That's the fact that these two EV names aren't exactly an apples-to-apples comparison. BYD is an integrated manufacturer aiming to build affordable electric vehicles for the masses. While Tesla's Model 3 is also meant to be lower-cost, at a starting price of $36,990 that quickly edges higher with even just a few basic upgrades, Tesla's electric vehicles remain in the upper range of the premium scale.
It would be naïve to believe that the availability of a more affordable option isn't at least poaching some would-be Tesla owners, if not many. The evidence of this dynamic comes in the form of recent price cuts that aren't being matched dollar for dollar with production cost cuts. Unsurprisingly, these materialized in step with the ramp-up of BYD's deliveries.
Connecting the dots So what does this mean for Tesla's dominance of the EV market, and by extension, for shareholders?
It's simple -- it means Tesla is no longer dominant.
It's still an EV powerhouse to be sure. The advent of its first similarly scaled competition, however, is exposing the downside of some strategic decisions, like the fact that it's not as vertically integrated as BYD is. This more streamlined structure raises its total manufacturing costs, while also limiting its flexibility. And there was little room for either, given how profit margins have been pressured.

As far as the stock's concerned, we're already seeing the impact. Shares have made no net progress since early last year, shortly after BYD first lapped Tesla's deliveries. Although that's not a permanent condition, it does suggest investors are no longer giving the stock the benefit of any doubt. That's fairly new.
Tesla's Q2 earnings report scheduled for July 22 should shed some light on any profit-margin-related concerns, for better or worse.
In its upcoming report, Tesla (TSLA - Free Report) is predicted by Wall Street analysts to post quarterly earnings of $0.50 per share, reflecting an increase of 25% compared to the same period last year. Revenues are forecasted to be $25.81 billion, representing a year-over-year increase of 14.7%.
Over the past 30 days, the consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been adjusted upward by 6.6% to its current level. This demonstrates the covering analysts' collective reassessment of their initial projections during this period.
Ahead of a company's earnings disclosure, it is crucial to give due consideration to changes in earnings estimates. These revisions serve as a noteworthy factor in predicting potential investor reactions to the stock. Numerous empirical studies consistently demonstrate a strong relationship between trends in earnings estimate revision and the short-term price performance of a stock.
While it's common for investors to rely on consensus earnings and revenue estimates for assessing how the business may have performed during the quarter, exploring analysts' forecasts for key metrics can yield valuable insights.
That said, let's delve into the average estimates of some Tesla metrics that Wall Street analysts commonly model and monitor.
Analysts' assessment points toward 'Revenues- Automotive sales' reaching $18.35 billion. The estimate suggests a change of +16.3% year over year.

There’s a peculiar dynamic that surrounds Tesla every quarter, and it’s worth pausing on before Wednesday evening.
Unlike almost any other large-cap company, Tesla tells you how it did before it tells you how it did. The delivery figures land weeks ahead of the financials, which means that by the time management steps onto the earnings call on July 22nd, investors already know the most important operational number of the quarter.
What’s left is the harder question: what did it cost to get there, and what comes next?
Delivery Numbers Impress Ahead of Earnings AnnouncementThis quarter, the delivery number was genuinely impressive. Tesla delivered 480,126 vehicles in the second quarter — 467,762 Model 3 and Model Y units, plus 12,364 across other models — comfortably clearing most estimates.
That’s a 34% sequential jump and a 25% increase from a year ago, making it Tesla’s strongest quarter for EV sales since the third quarter of 2025. For a company that spent much of the past two years fielding questions about demand saturation, that’s a meaningful rebuttal.
But a sophisticated reading requires understanding why the number was so strong, and here the picture gets more nuanced. A significant driver was elevated gasoline prices stemming from the Middle East conflict, which pushed cost-conscious consumers toward electric vehicles.
International markets did the heavy lifting: Europe showed robust momentum, and China staged a strong rebound in May, snapping a two-month streak of year-over-year declines. U.S. demand, by contrast, remained comparatively soft. The uncomfortable parallel is to the third quarter of 2025, when a similar surge materialized as American buyers rushed to beat the expiration of federal EV tax credits — a temporary pull-forward that borrowed from future quarters.
Whether this quarter’s strength proves durable or similarly borrowed is the question management will need to address on the call.
Tesla’s Rating Improves as Estimates Jump Now to the projections themselves. The Zacks Consensus Earnings Estimate for the quarter stands at 50 cents per share on revenues of $25.8 billion, implying year-over-year growth of 25% and 14.7%, respectively. Encouragingly, that earnings estimate has been revised upward by five cents over the past 60 days — which means analysts are nudging their expectations higher into the print.
For the full year, the consensus calls for revenues of $103.3 billion, up 8.9%, and EPS of $2.15, representing a healthy 29.5% increase.
One segment deserving more attention than it typically receives is energy storage, which quietly delivered the quarter’s other standout result. Tesla deployed 13.5 GWh of energy storage in the second quarter — up 53% sequentially and 40% year over year, driven by stronger-than-anticipated demand for Megapack and Powerwall. In a world of surging data-center power requirements and strained electrical grids, this business has become a legitimate secondary growth engine.
Then there’s the story that actually drives Tesla’s valuation: autonomy and artificial intelligence. The company now operates unsupervised robotaxi service in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and Miami, with supervised service in the San Francisco Bay Area — real, tangible progress that shouldn’t be dismissed.
Yet Tesla (TSLA - Free Report) still has considerable ground to make up against Alphabet’s Waymo, the acknowledged frontrunner, and Elon Musk has already pushed back the robotaxi timeline. The Optimus humanoid robot program tells a similar story; on the first-quarter call, Musk candidly described production as “quite slow” and said output this year was “literally impossible to predict.”
Musk’s ambition carries a rising price tag. Tesla lifted its 2026 capital expenditure forecast from $20 billion to $25 billion, and management has warned that free cash flow could turn negative as spending on AI and autonomous driving accelerates. Investors will want clarity on Wednesday about how long that investment phase runs and what milestones justify it.
What the Zacks Model RevealsTesla’s earnings track record is mixed but improving. Over the trailing four quarters, the company has topped EPS estimates three times and missed once, delivering an average surprise of 5.48%.
Our proprietary model points toward a beat this time. Tesla carries an Earnings ESP of +5.31% paired with a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). When a positive Earnings ESP combines with a Zacks Rank of #3 or better, our research shows a positive surprise follows roughly 70% of the time.
Options markets are pricing in a move of about 7.6% in either direction after the report, notably wider than the 4.4% average move over the past four quarters. Expectations, in other words, are elevated in both directions.
Tesla possesses a formidable brand, genuine technological leadership, and multiple platforms that could prove transformational. The delivery rebound appears real, the energy business is compounding nicely, and a Q2 earnings beat looks more likely than not.
At $380.84, Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA | TSLA Price Prediction) looks stretched, even as Wall Street consensus leans Buy. The stock is down 15.32% year to date while the S&P 500 is up 9%, signaling the market is repricing Tesla’s fundamentals faster than analyst targets adjust.
Tesla remains the world’s most valuable automaker, yet the story supporting a 346 trailing P/E rests on Robotaxi, Optimus, and FSD scaling into standalone businesses. Vehicles drove most of the $22.39 billion in Q1 2026 revenue, and the autonomy narrative has cracked over the last two quarters.
Why Bulls Still See $460 on the Table Q1 2026 looked strong. Automotive gross margin expanded to 21.1% from 16.2% year over year, operating income surged 135.84%, and free cash flow more than doubled to $1.44 billion. Services and Other revenue grew 42% on 1.28 million active FSD subscriptions, up 51% year over year.
Bank of America reiterated a Buy with a $460 target, citing Robotaxi expansion into Miami, Dallas, and Houston. Consensus sits at $425.22 with 23 Buy, 18 Hold, and 6 Sell ratings, implying 11.6% upside. Cybercab, Tesla Semi, and Megapack 3 reach volume production in 2026, backed by $44.74 billion in cash.
Three Structural Cracks Beneath the Autonomy Story First, margin quality. Q1’s gross margin recovery leaned on one-time warranty and tariff-related gains rather than durable pricing power. Regulatory credit revenue slid from $739 million in Q3 2025 to $380 million in Q1 2026, and cheaper Model Y and Model 3 variants squeeze ASPs as XPeng and BYD accelerate globally.
Second, capex is eating cash. Capital expenditures jumped 67.09% year over year in Q1 while operating expenses grew 37% on AI infrastructure and CEO stock-based compensation. Full-year 2025 net income fell 46.79% on revenue down 2.93%, and Q4 2025 net income collapsed 63.7%. Free cash flow yield sits at 0.43%.
Third, beta fragility. Tesla’s 1.802 beta amplified the Magnificent 7 drawdown into a 15.32% YTD loss versus the S&P 500’s 9% gain. Polymarket’s crowd assigns only 16% probability to an Optimus release by year end and 19% to a California Robotaxi launch, contradicting the growth narrative in the multiple.
The Case for Patience Before Q2 Q2 2026 earnings drop July 22 with consensus at $0.54 EPS on $26.4 billion revenue. Retail deliveries of 480,126 vehicles in Q2 sparked bullish Reddit sentiment. A clean beat with margin durability and firm Optimus production numbers could invalidate the bear case, and the AI5 chip tape-out plus EU FSD expansion represent real optionality worth pricing after one more cycle.

What the Numbers Actually Say at $380 Tesla trades at $380.84 with a market cap of $1.43 trillion. The $425.22 consensus target across 47 rated analysts implies 11.6% upside, though analyst targets remain one data point rather than a guarantee. An AI-model target of $346.08 implies 9.13% downside instead.
Trailing P/E is 346, forward P/E is 167, EV/EBITDA is 116, and price to book is 17. Shares are down 6.6% over the past week and 15.32% YTD, versus the S&P 500 up 9% YTD and 18.35% over one year. Prediction market composite sentiment reads 37.73, with a deteriorating 7-day trend of -17.72.
At $380, the Risk/Reward Skews Bearish The stock is priced for Optimus and Robotaxi to scale within 18 months, yet the two most liquid prediction markets price them at 16% and 19% probabilities. Consensus targets have not caught up.
The near-term path lower runs through Q2 earnings on July 22. If automotive gross margin normalizes toward the mid-teens without the warranty and tariff tailwind, if regulatory credits keep sliding, and if operating expenses stay 37% higher YoY, the math cannot support 346 times trailing earnings. A miss versus $0.54 consensus would likely test $346, where the AI model already sits.
The thesis breaks if Q2 delivers durable 20%-plus automotive gross margin without one-time gains, Optimus shows firm production numbers, and Robotaxi discloses California approval progress. Without those confirmations, a 1.802 beta, a mega-cap drawdown backdrop, and bearish prediction markets create asymmetric downside from here.
When Wall Street targets sit above an AI model calling for downside, retail sentiment is deteriorating, and the highest-conviction July close market pins Tesla at $360, the risk/reward skews to the downside at this price.

Key Takeaways Coca-Cola expects pricing and volume to contribute more evenly to growth throughout 2026.Affordability packs and tailored pricing aim to preserve demand among value-conscious consumers.Revenue growth management and productivity initiatives support margins amid commodity inflation. The Coca-Cola Company's (KO - Free Report) pricing power remains an important growth driver. Still, the company's strategy has clearly evolved from relying primarily on price increases to pursuing a more balanced combination of pricing, affordability and volume growth. Management has emphasized that sustainable top-line expansion depends on maintaining equilibrium between pricing actions and consumer demand rather than maximizing price realization alone.
In the first quarter of 2026, Coca-Cola generated price/mix growth primarily through pricing actions, while offsetting some of that benefit with affordability initiatives and favorable package architecture. Management acknowledged that lower-income consumers continue to face economic pressure and highlighted its focus on offering attractive entry-price packs, multi-serve formats and value offerings across key markets. Rather than sacrificing volumes to protect pricing, Coca-Cola is using sophisticated revenue growth management capabilities to tailor pricing strategies by geography, channel and consumer segment.
Management stressed that pricing remains fully embedded within the company's long-term growth algorithm, but not at the expense of consumer relevance. The company expects pricing and volume to contribute more evenly throughout 2026, with quarterly fluctuations depending on market conditions. This balanced approach reflects Coca-Cola's confidence that its strong brand portfolio, localized execution and digital capabilities allow it to protect margins while preserving demand.
The company also reiterated that its revenue growth management architecture continues to provide a strong foundation for sustaining margins despite commodity inflation. Combined with productivity initiatives and targeted commercial investments, Coca-Cola believes that it can continue navigating macroeconomic uncertainty while maintaining healthy profitability. Management reaffirmed its 2026 organic revenue growth guidance and expressed confidence that balanced pricing, affordability initiatives and consistent volume gains will continue driving durable growth throughout 2026.
Is Pricing Power Driving Growth for PEP & MNST?Like Coca-Cola, pricing power has long been a defining strength for PepsiCo Inc. (PEP - Free Report) and Monster Beverage Corporation (MNST - Free Report) , but as consumers become more value-conscious in 2026.
PepsiCo's pricing power remains an important contributor to growth, but the company is increasingly relying on a balanced strategy that combines effective net pricing with volume expansion and affordability initiatives. Management highlighted that organic revenue growth benefited from pricing while also emphasizing investments in price-pack architecture, value offerings and portfolio innovation to support demand amid tightening consumer budgets. This shift suggests PepsiCo is prioritizing sustainable, volume-led growth rather than depending solely on price increases to drive performance.
Monster Beverage's pricing power remains an important growth lever, but it is complemented by strong category demand, innovation and disciplined revenue growth management. Management noted that pricing actions implemented in late 2025 are performing as expected, with the resilient energy drink category continuing to support volume and revenue growth. The company also continues evaluating selective pricing opportunities while balancing consumer demand, retailer response and category health.

Investors often turn to recommendations made by Wall Street analysts before making a Buy, Sell, or Hold decision about a stock. While media reports about rating changes by these brokerage-firm employed (or sell-side) analysts often affect a stock's price, do they really matter?
Before we discuss the reliability of brokerage recommendations and how to use them to your advantage, let's see what these Wall Street heavyweights think about Coca-Cola (KO - Free Report) .
Coca-Cola currently has an average brokerage recommendation (ABR) of 1.38, on a scale of 1 to 5 (Strong Buy to Strong Sell), calculated based on the actual recommendations (Buy, Hold, Sell, etc.) made by 26 brokerage firms. An ABR of 1.38 approximates between Strong Buy and Buy.
Of the 26 recommendations that derive the current ABR, 20 are Strong Buy and two are Buy. Strong Buy and Buy respectively account for 76.9% and 7.7% of all recommendations.

While the ABR calls for buying Coca-Cola, it may not be wise to make an investment decision solely based on this information. Several studies have shown limited to no success of brokerage recommendations in guiding investors to pick stocks with the best price increase potential.
Are you wondering why? The vested interest of brokerage firms in a stock they cover often results in a strong positive bias of their analysts in rating it. Our research shows that for every "Strong Sell" recommendation, brokerage firms assign five "Strong Buy" recommendations.
In other words, their interests aren't always aligned with retail investors, rarely indicating where the price of a stock could actually be heading. Therefore, the best use of this information could be validating your own research or an indicator that has proven to be highly successful in predicting a stock's price movement.
Zacks Rank, our proprietary stock rating tool with an impressive externally audited track record, categorizes stocks into five groups, ranging from Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) to Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell), and is an effective indicator of a stock's price performance in the near future. Therefore, using the ABR to validate the Zacks Rank could be an efficient way of making a profitable investment decision.
ABR Should Not Be Confused With Zacks RankIn spite of the fact that Zacks Rank and ABR both appear on a scale from 1 to 5, they are two completely different measures.
Broker recommendations are the sole basis for calculating the ABR, which is typically displayed in decimals (such as 1.28). The Zacks Rank, on the other hand, is a quantitative model designed to harness the power of earnings estimate revisions. It is displayed in whole numbers -- 1 to 5.
It has been and continues to be the case that analysts employed by brokerage firms are overly optimistic with their recommendations. Because of their employers' vested interests, these analysts issue more favorable ratings than their research would support, misguiding investors far more often than helping them.
On the other hand, earnings estimate revisions are at the core of the Zacks Rank. And empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements.
Furthermore, the different grades of the Zacks Rank are applied proportionately across all stocks for which brokerage analysts provide earnings estimates for the current year. In other words, at all times, this tool maintains a balance among the five ranks it assigns.
There is also a key difference between the ABR and Zacks Rank when it comes to freshness. When you look at the ABR, it may not be up-to-date. Nonetheless, since brokerage analysts constantly revise their earnings estimates to reflect changing business trends, and their actions get reflected in the Zacks Rank quickly enough, it is always timely in predicting future stock prices.
Is KO a Good Investment?Looking at the earnings estimate revisions for Coca-Cola, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current year has remained unchanged over the past month at $3.26.
Analysts' steady views regarding the company's earnings prospects, as indicated by an unchanged consensus estimate, could be a legitimate reason for the stock to perform in line with the broader market in the near term.
The size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, has resulted in a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) for Coca-Cola. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>>
It may therefore be prudent to be a little cautious with the Buy-equivalent ABR for Coca-Cola.
The upcoming report from Alphabet (GOOGL - Free Report) is expected to reveal quarterly earnings of $2.87 per share, indicating an increase of 24.2% compared to the year-ago period. Analysts forecast revenues of $101.22 billion, representing an increase of 23.9% year over year.
The current level reflects an upward revision of 0.5% in the consensus EPS estimate for the quarter over the past 30 days. This demonstrates how the analysts covering the stock have collectively reappraised their initial projections over this period.
Before a company announces its earnings, it is essential to take into account any changes made to earnings estimates. This is a valuable factor in predicting the potential reactions of investors toward the stock. Empirical research has consistently shown a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and the short-term price performance of a stock.
While investors typically use consensus earnings and revenue estimates as a yardstick to evaluate the company's quarterly performance, scrutinizing analysts' projections for some of the company's key metrics can offer a more comprehensive perspective.

The ABR suggests buying Alphabet, but making an investment decision solely on the basis of this information might not be a good idea. According to several studies, brokerage recommendations have little to no success guiding investors to choose stocks with the most potential for price appreciation.
Are you wondering why? The vested interest of brokerage firms in a stock they cover often results in a strong positive bias of their analysts in rating it. Our research shows that for every "Strong Sell" recommendation, brokerage firms assign five "Strong Buy" recommendations.
This means that the interests of these institutions are not always aligned with those of retail investors, giving little insight into the direction of a stock's future price movement. Wall Street heads into a pivotal week with investors preparing for a flood of corporate earnings, major artificial intelligence announcements and lingering geopolitical tensions that have pushed oil prices above $90 a barrel.
The spotlight will be on Wednesday's earnings from Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) and Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA), which many see as a crucial test for the AI-driven rally after last week's sharp selloff in technology stocks.
More than 70 S&P 500 companies are due to report over the coming days, including Texas Instruments Inc (NASDAQ:TXN), International Business Machines Corp (NYSE:IBM), AT&T Inc (NYSE:T, XETRA:SOBA) on Wednesday, Intel Corp (NASDAQ:INTC, XETRA:INL), T-Mobile US Inc (NASDAQ:TMUS, XETRA:TM5), Lockheed Martin and Comcast on Thursday, and American Express and Verizon on Friday. Earlier in the week, General Motors, Charles Schwab, Capital One and Danaher will also release results.
Kathleen Brooks, research director at XTB, said investors have become more selective after months of enthusiasm for AI-related stocks.
"There has been a major shift in stock market sentiment," Brooks said. "Investors are moving on from the exuberance of the second quarter to a fundamental-based assessment. They want to see what the AI giants can deliver this earnings season before they commit to another leg higher in the AI stock market rally."
Technology stocks were hit hard last week, with the Nasdaq 100 falling nearly 3.5% and semiconductor shares leading the decline as investors questioned whether soaring AI investment is generating sufficient returns.
Brooks believes Alphabet's earnings could set the tone for the sector.
"We believe that how well, or not, Google's earnings are received could determine the direction of the AI trade in the near term," she said.
Tesla will also be closely watched after reporting record second-quarter vehicle deliveries, with investors looking for updates on cash flow, margins and any news surrounding its autonomous vehicle plans.
AI will remain front and centre beyond earnings. AMD hosts its Advancing AI event in San Francisco on Wednesday, where CEO Lisa Su is expected to unveil new products and outline the company's AI strategy. Samsung will also hold its Galaxy Unpacked event in London, where it is expected to launch new foldable smartphones and wearable devices.
Outside of technology, the Farnborough International Airshow begins Monday, with Boeing, Airbus and other aerospace companies expected to announce aircraft orders, while San Diego Comic-Con later in the week could generate headlines for Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery and Apple as they unveil upcoming entertainment releases.
The economic calendar is relatively quiet, with Federal Reserve officials in their blackout period ahead of the July 28-29 policy meeting. Investors will instead focus on the European Central Bank's policy decision on Thursday, flash PMI data and U.S. new home sales on Friday.
Markets will also keep a close eye on the Middle East after renewed tensions lifted Brent crude above $90 a barrel.
"As political risk premiums push the oil price above $90 per barrel, this poses broader macroeconomic risks," Brooks said, warning that persistently high energy prices could complicate the inflation outlook for central banks.
Swissquote senior analyst Ipek Ozkardeskaya expects markets to remain volatile.
"Volatility is therefore likely to remain elevated, but not necessarily to the upside,” Ozkardeskaya said. “Markets could see another leg lower in both the US and Europe if geopolitical tensions intensify further and/or investors remain focused on AI spending rather than earnings growth."

Key FactsShares of Alphabet rose 2.8% to above $356 as of Monday morning, a reversal from the 6.5% decline over the previous two sessions.
Page and Brin, who hold a combined 87.9% of Alphabet’s Class B shares, saw their net worths increase by $8 billion and $7.4 billion, respectively.
Page ($292.4 billion) ranks the second-richest person, directly behind Elon Musk ($781.2 billion), and ahead of Brin ($269.7 billion), according to Forbes’ estimates.
A boost in Alphabet’s stock price came as the company developed a new AI chip, referred to internally as “Frozen v2,” which Google engineers expect to be up to 10 times more energy-efficient than its predecessor, The Information reported Monday.
Alphabet reportedly plans to deploy the chip by 2028 to ease an internal shortage of AI computing power that has strained its operations and forced Google Cloud to turn away customers.
Alphabet did not immediately respond to Forbes’ request for comment.
what to watch forAlphabet will report Q2 earnings after market close Wednesday. The firm is expected to report $117.1 billion in revenue and $2.90 earnings per share, according to FactSet, marking 21% and 25% surges over the same period last year, respectively. Wall Street anticipates quarterly spending to ramp up to roughly $45 billion, a nearly 26% increase over the previous quarter, as Alphabet has joined its mega-cap competitors in a broader build-up of AI infrastructure over the last year. key backgroundPage and Brin, who cofounded Google in 1998, have seen their fortunes grow exponentially in recent years. Page’s wealth settled at just under $51 billion in 2020 before rising above $144 billion to start 2025, while Brin’s wealth surged from $49 billion to $138 billion over the same period. A difference in equity between Google’s cofounders is largely attributed to stock trades, as Brin has been more active selling his stake than Page, who last disclosed selling shares in 2022. Brin has also donated Alphabet and Tesla stock to nonprofit groups and to Parkinson’s disease research in recent years, including a $700 million donation last year.

24/7 Wall St. Price Target Summary Metric Value Current Price $247.23 24/7 Wall St. Price Target $321.66 Upside 30.1% Recommendation BUY Confidence Level 90% AWS Reacceleration Is Rewriting the Narrative Amazon shares are up 7.11% year to date and 10.43% over one year, sitting 13% below the $278.56 52-week high.
Q1 2026 was the inflection. AWS revenue reached $37.6 billion, up 28% year over year, the fastest growth in 15 quarters. EPS of $2.78 beat the $1.73 estimate, and total revenue of $181.52 billion grew 16.6%.
Q1 net income was inflated by a $16.8 billion pre-tax Anthropic gain, and trailing free cash flow collapsed 95% to $1.2 billion as capex ran to $43.2 billion in the quarter alone. Q2 guidance calls for revenue of $194 billion to $199 billion with the next report on July 30, 2026.
The Case for $370 and Above Bulls see three compounding catalysts. First, custom silicon: Trainium and Graviton chips run at over $20 billion annually with $225 billion in Trainium revenue commitments, including OpenAI and a $100 billion+ Anthropic deal. CEO Andy Jassy stated that Trainium will “save us tens of billions of dollars of CapEx each year and provide several hundred basis points of operating margin advantage.”
Second, Bedrock processed more tokens in Q1 than all prior years combined, with 170% quarter-over-quarter spend growth.
Third, Amazon LEO and Zoox represent optionality. The bull-case 12-month target hits $369.61, a 49.5% return. Wedbush carries a $293 Outperform target.

What Could Go Wrong Capex of roughly $200 billion planned for 2026 depresses returns, long-term debt has climbed to $119.1 billion, and free cash flow is under pressure. Reddit skeptics flagged Amazon selling Trainium racks as a potential top signal.
Jassy countered this mirrors the original AWS buildout, arguing “we have high confidence this will be monetized well” given customer commitments. The bear-case 12-month floor is $278.08, still 12.48% above today.
How Amazon Compares to Microsoft and Alphabet Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) is the closest hyperscaler comp. Azure grew 40% in fiscal Q3 2026, faster than AWS’s 28%, and Microsoft’s AI run rate hit $37 billion. Yet MSFT trades at a trailing P/E of 29, near the 29 forward P/E in my Amazon target. My $321.66 target looks reasonable relative to peer multiples.
Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOGL) is the value counterpoint. Google Cloud grew 63% in Q1 2026 to $20.03 billion with $460 billion in backlog. GOOGL is planning $175 billion to $185 billion in 2026 capex, slightly less than Amazon’s $200 billion. If Amazon monetizes its capex like Alphabet already is, the target has room to rise.
What to Watch Into the July 30 Report The 24/7 Wall St. price target of $321.66 carries 90% model confidence. AWS reaccelerating to 28% while sitting on a $364 billion backlog is the key factor. The bullish thesis strengthens if the July 30 report shows AWS margins holding above 35%, and weakens if capex guidance jumps materially without a corresponding revenue commitment lift.
Year 24/7 Wall St. Price Target 2026 $321.66 2027 $374 2028 $430 2029 $478 2030 $526.45 These projections assume Amazon continues executing on AWS reacceleration and monetizes its $200 billion capex through Trainium and Bedrock. Significant upside could come from Amazon LEO scaling, while a sharp AI capex reversal remains the primary downside risk.

For most of this year, the conversation around Amazon.com Inc. NASDAQ: AMZN has been dominated by one uncomfortable question: Will all that AI spending ever pay off? The company's enormous infrastructure buildout has compressed free cash flow, unsettled the bond market, and left investors waiting for hard evidence that the money is translating into growth.
That wait may be about to end. Ahead of its next earnings report on July 30, some analysts are forecasting a sharp acceleration in AWS revenue growth, comfortably outpacing the wider market expectations. If the numbers land anywhere close to that, it would be exactly the proof point the bulls have been asking for.

The Forecast That Changes the ConversationIn a note to clients earlier this month, TD Cowen said it expects AWS revenue growth to reach 35.5% year over year in the second quarter, up from 28.4% in the same period last year and several percentage points above consensus estimates. For a business of AWS's scale, that kind of acceleration is remarkable, and it would mark a decisive break from the narrative that cloud growth had plateaued.
The driver capacity is finally catching up with demand. Amazon's heavy investment in AI infrastructure has begun easing the supply constraints that were holding it back, meaning capacity that simply wasn't available before is now coming online and converting directly into revenue from generative AI workloads.
That distinction matters enormously. The bear case has long held that Amazon was spending speculatively into an uncertain future. An AWS acceleration of this magnitude, arriving now rather than in a year or two's time, would suggest the opposite: that the company has been building to meet demand it could already see.

To understand why a single quarter could carry this much weight, it helps to remember what the debate has actually been about. Nobody has seriously questioned whether AI infrastructure demand exists. The question has been whether Amazon specifically can convert its spending into revenue fast enough to justify the pressure it has been putting on the balance sheet.
Free cash flow has taken a visible hit as capital expenditure (CapEx) has climbed, and the company's recent bond raise drew noticeably softer demand than earlier rounds of AI-related debt issuance. Both of those are symptoms of a market that wants to see returns before it extends more patience.
An AWS growth number in the mid-thirties would go a long way toward providing them. It would demonstrate that the capacity being built is consumed almost as quickly as it comes online, reframing the CapEx story from a worrying outflow to an investment with a visible payback.
The Retail Engine Is Quietly Accelerating TooLost in all the focus on cloud is the fact that Amazon's core retail business appears to be picking up pace as well. TD Cowen expects North American revenue growth to come in meaningfully ahead of the first-quarter result, driven by faster delivery speeds and continued strength in everyday essentials.
That matters more than it might first appear. One of the quieter concerns about the AI buildout has been whether it would distract management from the business that actually funds it. An acceleration on the retail side would suggest the opposite: that Amazon is running both playbooks at once without either suffering for it.
It also speaks to the durability of the wider growth opportunity. AWS may be where the excitement sits, but Amazon’s retail and logistics operations remain the foundation on which everything else is built, and evidence that it's strengthening rather than plateauing gives the bulls another reason to be excited ahead of the report.
What Could Still Go Wrong on July 30To be sure, none of this anticipated upside surprise is guaranteed, and the report could still disappoint even with strong AWS numbers. The most obvious is on the spending side. If capital expenditure guidance climbs again, or if management signals that the buildout will run longer and heavier than expected, investors may focus on cash outflows rather than revenue acceleration.
Margins are the other variable. Rapid AWS growth is only bullish if it comes with the profitability the market associates with the segment, and any sign that the cost of serving AI workloads is compressing returns would take the shine off the headline number.
Get both right, though, and the setup is compelling. A market that has spent months worrying about what Amazon is spending would suddenly be confronted with clear evidence of what that spending is buying. After months of frustrating price action, that could easily be enough to push the stock back toward all-time highs.
