Investors can track such revisions by themselves or rely on a tried-and-tested rating tool like the Zacks Rank, which has an impressive track record of harnessing the power of earnings estimate revisions.

Ahead of this earnings release, the estimate revisions trend for Olin was mixed. Slush Wallet lets Sui users pay network fees in stablecoins for sends and payments
SUI Sui
CoinGecko News
Original source text
The Mysten Labs wallet now accepts stablecoins for gas on swaps, staking, deposits, withdrawals, sends, and payments

Blockchains have always charged an odd cover fee. Before you can do anything at all, you need the network’s own token to pay for gas. Slush Wallet is trying to make that requirement disappear.

The self-custodial wallet, built by Mysten Labs for the Sui blockchain, now lets users cover network fees with stablecoins across swaps, staking, deposits, withdrawals, sends, and payments. For anyone holding dollars onchain but no SUI, a small and persistent headache just got a lot smaller.

What changed, and when
The rollout came in two stages. On October 14, 2026, Slush first let users pay network fees in stablecoins, but only for sends and payments.

The October 28 update widened the scope considerably. Stablecoin fee payment now extends to swaps, staking, unstaking, deposits, and withdrawals.

Slush does not add its own platform fees for standard actions. The only cost users face is the Sui network gas fee, and that fee can now be settled in supported stablecoins.

Validators, for their part, still get paid in SUI. The wallet relies on Sui’s programmable transaction blocks and gas sponsorship capabilities to convert stablecoins in the background.

For the less technical: programmable transaction blocks let several operations be grouped together, while gas sponsorship allows fees to be covered on a user’s behalf. Slush uses those tools so the stablecoin-to-SUI handoff happens without the user ever managing it manually.

How Slush got here
Mysten Labs developed Slush as a wallet for Sui ecosystem users who want simpler transactions and easier fee management. The stablecoin gas feature fits squarely inside that pitch.

It also follows a string of recent upgrades. Between October 6 and October 9, 2026, Slush announced an integration with Halliday that brought cross-chain deposits and fee-free stablecoin peer-to-peer transfers to the wallet.

The two-step rollout of fee payments also suggests a measured approach. Sends and payments came first, then the more complex actions like staking and swaps followed two weeks later.

What this means for Sui users and SUI holders
For SUI holders, the picture is more nuanced but not alarming. Validators are still compensated in SUI, so the network’s fee economics continue to run on the native token. The change reroutes who handles the conversion rather than removing SUI from the equation.

No immediate market-moving effects have been noted.

A few things are worth watching. Users should check which stablecoins qualify as supported for fee payment before relying on the feature. Background conversion also means trusting the wallet to handle the swap smoothly. That is a reasonable trade for most users, though anyone who values seeing every step of a transaction may still prefer to keep a little SUI on hand.

Sui expands into Brazil as Mercado Bitcoin adds SUI network support
SUI Sui
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Sui, a layer-1 blockchain developed for high throughput and low latency transactions, is expanding its reach in Latin America by partnering with Mercado Bitcoin. Mercado Bitcoin is recognized as Latin America’s largest digital asset exchange and now stands as the first platform in Brazil to integrate Sui network transfers.

Mercado Bitcoin Opens Sui Access for 4.5 Million UsersThrough this collaboration, Mercado Bitcoin’s 4.5 million clients are able to buy, sell, send, and receive SUI tokens, as well as stablecoins USDC and USDsui directly on the exchange. The move provides Brazilian users with a new entry point into Sui’s ecosystem, broadening the asset choices on one of the region’s most established digital asset platforms.

USDsui, Sui’s own stablecoin, will have expanded utility by being eligible as collateral for Mercado Bitcoin’s lending offerings. This development intends to create new opportunities for Brazilian customers to use their digital assets within decentralized finance applications, such as borrowing and lending.

Both companies are also exploring integration with Hashi, a Bitcoin infrastructure protocol built by Sui. If the required infrastructure goes live on the mainnet, Hashi could allow for lending and borrowing activities using native Bitcoin, potentially broadening the appeal of the Sui ecosystem among traditional cryptocurrency users.

Mini dictionary: Hashi is a cross-chain protocol developed by Sui to connect Bitcoin to Sui’s blockchain infrastructure. It aims to enable use of native Bitcoin for activities such as lending, borrowing, and trading on Sui-based decentralized applications.

Mercado Bitcoin is also preparing to launch its tokenized real-world asset program on Sui’s infrastructure. The company has previously issued more than 800 tokenized assets since 2019, further strengthening the tie between traditional finance and blockchain-based offerings.

Mercado Bitcoin’s 4.5 million users can now access SUI, USDC, and USDsui on the Sui network for buying, selling, sending, and receiving digital assets, while plans to expand lending and tokenization capabilities are currently underway.

Brazil Expansion and Technical Price AnalysisMarket observers view this integration as an opportunity for Sui to increase network activity and drive greater adoption through access to millions of Brazilian digital asset investors. While the listing of SUI and associated stablecoins on a top-tier exchange marks a significant development, analysts emphasize that real impact will depend on user adoption and the scale of actual transactions executed through Mercado Bitcoin.

On the technical side, cryptocurrency analyst Crypto With Gopal has identified a falling wedge chart formation in SUI’s four-hour timeframe, which generally signals the potential for a bullish breakout. The price has approached the $0.90 support zone, a crucial level to watch for traders.

Analysts note that a breakout above the $0.96 to $1.00 resistance could shift sentiment toward a bullish outlook, making the $1.20 to $1.25 region an area of increased price interest. Any move below $0.90, however, could lead to further downside risk for SUI in the near term.

Support LevelResistance LevelBullish TargetBearish Scenario$0.90$0.96–$1.00$1.20–$1.25Below $0.90Analysts suggest that trading volumes should be closely tracked, as higher buyer momentum could provide confirmation of any sustained reversal. Conversely, failure to break past $1.00 or a sharp drop below $0.90 may lead to a period of consolidation or further downside volatility.

SUI’s price outlook and network growth in Brazil will likely be influenced by both adoption trends following the Mercado Bitcoin expansion and ongoing efforts to support lending and tokenization features on the Sui blockchain.

Q2 Eyes Personal AI Agents as Banking's Next Channel—and Fraud Frontier
QTWO Q2 Holdings
FMP Stock News
Original source text
These 3 Fintech Stocks Offer High Risk/Reward Potential Q2 NYSE: QTWO executives said artificial intelligence is creating new opportunities and risks for digital banking, with personal AI agents emerging as another channel through which consumers and businesses may interact with financial institutions.

During the company’s second investor-focused AI discussion, Chief Operating Officer Hima Mukkamala described personal agents as “the next banking channel,” following branches, online banking and mobile applications. She said Q2 expects agent-based interactions to serve as a new entry point rather than replace banks’ digital-banking or fraud platforms.

Get Q2 alerts:

Why Q2 Holdings Stock Could Be Your Next Big BuyMukkamala said financial institutions could keep AI experiences within channels they control, such as websites, or support connections through outside services, messaging apps, smart devices and cloud-based AI tools. Q2 is exposing Model Context Protocol, or MCP, endpoints across much of its digital-banking stack, she said, allowing personal agents to connect through a new form of API integration.

However, Mukkamala said banks will need controls over security, permissions, policies and branding as agentic channels develop. “The digital banking platform is in the middle,” she said, citing its role in providing context, integrations, orchestration, data and controls.

Agentic Banking Could Broaden Bank Differentiation
Chief Technology Officer Adam Blue said external AI agents could expand, rather than commoditize, banks’ digital experiences. He said the agentic channel provides a wider surface for institutions to express their brand, capabilities and personalization than prior channels such as web, mobile, SMS, wearables and open-banking interfaces.

Blue acknowledged that some financial institutions may initially decline to support connections from external agents because of the associated risk. But he compared the development to the growth of account aggregation over the past two decades, arguing that customer demand for connectivity could influence banks’ eventual decisions.

“I think this is a for now kind of decision and not a long-term decision,” Blue said of banks that restrict agentic access. He added that Q2 would support customers that choose not to enable such connections while they develop a technology and risk-management strategy.

Mukkamala said adoption will depend on banks gaining confidence in areas including observability, auditability, controls, containment and incident disclosure. She said customers are already using agent-related services through relatively limited aggregation experiences and may seek richer capabilities as platform providers enhance their technology.

AI Raises Fraud and Security Demands
Blue said AI is strengthening both fraud attackers and defenders. Attackers can use the technology to create more sophisticated exploits, deepfakes and social-engineering schemes, while financial institutions and technology providers can use AI to identify and mitigate threats more quickly.

He said Q2’s position in the digital-banking workflow gives it access to data and operational context that standalone cybersecurity providers or core providers may not have. That includes user behavior within applications, across applications and across the broader financial ecosystem, according to Blue.

Mukkamala said fraud is one of Q2’s fastest-growing product lines. She highlighted the company’s UAM account-takeover product, which uses signals from digital-banking systems and outside sources to identify potential fraud. Q2 added a detector for agentic interfaces after customers reported fraud originating through that channel, she said.

As more channels become available, fraudsters gain a larger potential attack surface, Mukkamala said. She added that personal agents can create substantially more signals as they use sandboxes or virtual machines to interact with financial institutions.

Blue also emphasized the importance of cybersecurity operations and rapid patching as new vulnerabilities emerge. He said Q2 maintains teams focused on identifying, mitigating and preventing recurring risks, and is using AI to evaluate systems and improve its software-development lifecycle.

The company recently completed an AIUC-1 assessment for its Q2 Assistant product through an independent auditor, Blue said. He described the review as part of what could become a broader set of standards for AI assistant safety, quality and controls.

Early-Access Products Near General Availability
Mukkamala said Q2 Assistant and UAM are the company’s most advanced AI offerings. Q2 Assistant is designed to help financial institutions automate customer-care and back-office tasks, including entitlement changes and password resets. She said workflows that once could take an hour or longer can be completed in less than a minute using the product.

UAM monitors signals from Q2’s digital-banking environment and external detectors to identify account-takeover activity, she said. Both products are in early access and are approaching general availability before year-end, according to Mukkamala.

She said Q2 has seen customers move from early adoption toward broader use of AI products, with some deployments occurring in weeks rather than the quarters typically required for traditional software rollouts. Blue said AI-supported development tools have also shortened the feedback loop between customer conversations, prototypes and product iterations.

Executives Cite Platform, Integration Experience
When asked about competition from startups and frontier AI models, Mukkamala said a frontier model alone is not a banking product. She said Q2’s differentiation includes its integration layer, orchestration, contextual data, extensibility and controls developed over two decades of serving financial institutions.

Blue similarly said customer intimacy and domain expertise are as important as writing software code. He said AI can make development faster, but companies still need to manage complex financial-services integrations, security requirements and operational workflows.

Mukkamala rejected the idea that Q2’s history necessarily implies outdated technology, pointing to the company’s ability to bring new products to customers quickly, expose APIs and MCP endpoints, and operate an active-active cloud architecture. Blue said architecture should be evaluated through reliability, resilience and how systems respond to operational failures, rather than by a list of technology-stack terms.

Both executives said they view AI as an accelerant for Q2, while identifying inaction as the principal risk. Blue said the technology can help the company analyze customer data, test ideas more rapidly and develop solutions faster. Mukkamala said customer interest in adopting AI through Q2 has increased over the past six months.

Ryan Specialty (RYAN) Q3 Earnings: Taking a Look at Key Metrics Versus Estimates
RYAN Ryan Specialty Group Holdings
FMP Stock News
Original source text
For the quarter ended September 2026, Ryan Specialty Group (RYAN - Free Report) reported revenue of $789.96 million, up 4.7% over the same period last year. EPS came in at $0.51, compared to $0.47 in the year-ago quarter.

The reported revenue compares to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $788.82 million, representing a surprise of +0.15%. The company delivered an EPS surprise of +4.08%, with the consensus EPS estimate being $0.49.

While investors scrutinize revenue and earnings changes year-over-year and how they compare with Wall Street expectations to determine their next move, some key metrics always offer a more accurate picture of a company's financial health.

As these metrics influence top- and bottom-line performance, comparing them to the year-ago numbers and what analysts estimated helps investors project a stock's price performance more accurately.

What UFP Industries (UFPI) Said on Its Q3 Earnings Call
UFPI Ufp Industries
FMP Stock News
Original source text
These 3 Wood Stocks are about to go on DiscountUFP Industries NASDAQ: UFPI reported third-quarter 2026 net sales growth of 11% as organic unit volume rose 4%, marking the company’s second consecutive quarter of year-over-year volume growth. Management said demand appeared to be stabilizing across much of its portfolio, though end markets remained challenging and uneven.

Net sales totaled $1.73 billion, up from $1.56 billion a year earlier. Volume increased 6%, including 4% organic unit growth and a 2% contribution from acquisitions, while pricing added 5%, Chief Financial Officer Mike Cole said. The pricing increase reflected higher lumber prices passed through to customers and programs intended to offset other inflationary pressures.

Get UFP Industries alerts:

Adjusted EBITDA declined to $119 million from $140 million in the prior-year quarter, and adjusted EBITDA margin fell to 6.9% from 9.0%. Cole said higher transportation costs were the primary reason for the decline. Transportation costs, net of fuel surcharges, increased $19 million year over year during the quarter, reducing margin by 1.3 percentage points.

Freight costs weigh on profitability CEO Will Schwartz said transportation costs emerged as a significant industry challenge during 2026. Excluding fuel, freight rates increased 30% year over year as driver shortages, reduced carrier capacity and a stricter regulatory environment affected the market.

For the full year, UFP expects elevated freight costs to have a net $65 million impact on results. Cole said the company had experienced a $56 million increase in total transportation costs year to date, partly offset by about $7 million of fuel surcharges and pricing adjustments. Of the increase, he attributed $41 million to capacity leaving the market amid regulatory changes and $15 million to fuel costs.

Management said it expects freight rates to remain elevated through year-end and views the increase as a structural shift in baseline transportation pricing. The company is pursuing pricing recovery while also changing operating practices to reduce costs in 2027.

Newly acquired and greenfield operations also reported a combined negative EBITDA contribution of $3 million in the third quarter. Excluding the freight impact and losses from those newer operations, EBITDA across UFP’s business units increased by $1 million from a year earlier, according to Cole.

Retail growth led by Deckorators Retail sales increased 7% to $635 million, supported by 6% higher pricing, a 1% acquisition contribution and flat organic unit volume. Within the segment, ProWood units declined 4%, while Deckorators units grew 21%. The MoistureShield acquisition contributed 10% to retail volumes.

Deckorators decking sales rose 69% during the quarter, including 70% growth in mineral-based Surestone products. Surestone sales were up 45% year to date. Improved production throughput at the company’s Selma and Buffalo facilities reduced the Surestone backlog to $18 million at quarter-end from $30 million at the end of the second quarter.

Schwartz said the decline in backlog reflected higher production rather than cancellations. He said the company expects to generate an additional $50 million in decking sales in 2027 compared with 2026 results, supported by expanded capacity and an upcoming agreement with a two-step distributor that is expected to fill geographic distribution gaps.

UFP now expects approximately $85 million in 2026 composite decking sales growth, including a $10 million inventory build at ProWood distribution locations, versus its prior $90 million decking target. The shortfall was tied to the ramp-up of the Buffalo facility, which began operating in April. The company also expects railing and other products to fall about $15 million below plan after anticipated share gains did not materialize and it lost a significant customer in the Ultra Aluminum business.

Retail adjusted EBITDA fell $6 million to $34 million, with margin declining to 5.4% from 6.7%. Cole said $8 million of higher transportation costs in ProWood and Deckorators masked improving profitability at Deckorators as production throughput increased.

Packaging and construction results Packaging sales rose 18% to $466 million, driven by 9% organic unit growth, a 6% acquisition contribution and 3% higher pricing. Structural Packaging volume increased 14%, while national-account sales rose 35% on new customer wins. PalletOne volume grew 18%, aided by acquisitions and 1% organic growth, while Protective Packaging volume rose 5% as greenfield facilities progressed toward sales targets.

Packaging adjusted EBITDA declined $7 million to $27 million. Cole cited higher transportation and material costs, particularly elevated pallet materials that have been difficult to pass through to customers. Improved profitability at Structural Packaging partly offset the pressure.

The company also announced plans to acquire Apache Products, a wood pallet manufacturer serving the Texas and Louisiana Gulf region. Schwartz said Apache will join the PalletOne platform and expand UFP’s ability to serve industrial and petrochemical customers.

Construction sales increased 11% to $552 million, with units up 4% and selling prices up 7%. Site Built organic unit volume rose 12%, which management attributed to company-specific initiatives including its Frame Forward solution-selling approach, growth in light-gauge metal components and alternative materials. Schwartz cautioned that the result should not be viewed as evidence of a broader recovery in residential construction.

Factory Built units declined 10%, reflecting UFP’s planned exit from lower-margin commodity sales and a 6% decline in industry production. Commercial volume increased 20%, while concrete-forming volume grew 6%.

Construction adjusted EBITDA declined $4 million to $38 million, pressured by pricing conditions in Site Built and higher material costs. Growth and operating leverage in commercial and concrete forming partially offset those headwinds.

Capital allocation and outlook At the end of September, UFP had approximately $677 million of cash, no outstanding revolver borrowings and total liquidity of about $2 billion. Year-to-date free-cash-flow conversion was 75% of adjusted EBITDA.

The board approved a quarterly dividend of $0.36 per share, payable in December, representing a 3% increase from the prior year. UFP repurchased $183 million of shares year to date, including $41 million in the third quarter, at an average price of about $84 per share. The company expects 2026 capital expenditures of $150 million to $175 million, including about $75 million of maintenance spending.

Management left its full-year outlook unchanged, expecting macroeconomic pressures, soft end-market demand and elevated energy and transportation costs to persist through year-end. For 2027, UFP said it sees opportunities to improve results through freight mitigation, maturing greenfield operations, acquisitions, productivity initiatives, new products and market-share gains.

Hello everyone. Thank you for joining us and welcome to the DXC Technology second quarter fiscal 2027 earnings call. After today’s prepared remarks, we will host a question and answer session. If you would like to ask a question, please press star 1 to raise your hand. To withdraw your question, please press star one again. I will now hand the conference over to Tiffany Horvath, Senior Director, Investor Relations. Tiffany, please go ahead.

Tiffany Horvath (Senior Director, Investor Relations)

Thank you, operator. Good afternoon everyone and welcome to DXC Technology’s second quarter fiscal 2027 earnings conference call. We hope you had an opportunity to review our earnings release which is available in the IR section of DXC’s website. Speaking on today’s call are Raul Fernandez, our CEO, and Rob DelBene, our Chief Financial Officer. Here’s today’s agenda. First, Raul will update you on our strategic initiatives. Rob will then review our quarterly financial performance as well as provide thoughts on our third quarter and full fiscal year 2027 guidance.

Raul and Rob will then take your questions. Please note certain comments made during today’s call are forward looking and subject to risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results to differ materially. Details of these risks and uncertainties are in our annual report on Form 10-K and other SEC filings. We undertake no obligation to update any forward looking statements unless otherwise noted. Year to year or quarter over quarter revenue growth rates discussed on today’s call refer to organic revenue growth on a non-GAAP basis which excludes the impact of foreign exchange and inorganic activity.

We will also be discussing certain other non-GAAP financial measures that we believe provide useful information to investors. Reconciliations to the most comparable GAAP measures are included in today’s earnings release. And with that, let me turn the call over to Raul.

Raul Fernandez (Chief Executive Officer)

Thank you, Tiffany. I would like to take a moment to comment on the market speculation regarding a possible sale of our insurance business. While I don’t want to get into specifics, I can confirm that we are currently in ongoing discussions. As we have said previously, management and the board are committed to exploring all avenues to create shareholder value. We believe we have multiple paths to do so, including improving the core, scaling our fast track, agentic and AI-based solutions, and evaluating strategic actions across our portfolio.

We do not intend to answer additional questions at this time. On the quarter, our revenue, adjusted EBIT, and non-GAAP diluted EPS were above our guidance. For the balance of the year, we are adjusting our full year guide to reflect sales performance in our core business that fell short of our expectations. At the same time, we are pleased with the traction in our Agentix solutions. One of DXC’s greatest competitive advantages is the combination of our technical talent, deep industry expertise, and access to the world’s leading AI platforms.

Since June, more than 5,700 colleagues globally have earned AI certifications. We are building a global bench of engineers capable of moving from AI experimentation to production in complex enterprise environments. That is a capability few organizations can replicate at our scale. The next step is commercialization, deploying these engineers against customer opportunities and converting that capability into revenue. We are also developing greater visibility into average AI deal size, close cycle timing, and pace of follow-on work, giving us increased confidence in the revenue opportunity ahead.

Creating a growth company out of DXC is an ongoing exercise that will be bolstered by our work in strengthening the core track and growing our agentic fast track and AI-based solutions. We feel that the addition of Paul Taylor and his operational accountability and execution focus as our President gives us a path to achieving that goal. A few of Paul’s key focus areas are removing friction in how we operate globally and improving our sales execution. He will join Rob and I on our next call to expand on his initiatives. We have continued to invest in Agenic and AI-based solutions to drive innovation and position DXC for future growth. The value of AI will go to the companies that control the workflows, data rights, and distribution. We believe DXC is well positioned to capture the expanding total addressable market from AI because of our deep global technical bench, existing customer base, and new Agentix solutions.

We see evidence that what we are building is resonating with clients. In GrowthX, we secured our first large win with a leading global banking institution to modernize its mission-critical core banking system and accelerate its transition to the cloud. Delivered through our modernization-as-a-service offering, we are combining our AI-powered modernization platform, industrialized Delivery Factory, and Anthropic’s advanced Claude model to discover, document, and validate thousands of business rules embedded in decades of legacy systems.

By integrating frontier AI capabilities with our deep banking expertise and proven modernization methodologies, we are transforming how complex, high-risk modernization programs are delivered at scale. The promise of modernization has been around for decades, but the ability to do it at scale quickly is here. We are very well positioned to win in this business category. This win demonstrates our ability to turn advanced AI technologies into differentiated, repeatable offerings that accelerate client transformation and create new growth opportunities for DXC.

This quarter we made progress increasing the value OASIS delivers to our existing clients. Our teams are expanding the capabilities of our agents to solve more complex customer pain points and increasing the number of agents that can make controlled changes within customer environments. We are also increasing the number of agenic workflows in production. For example, we recently launched DXC Workplace Services, an AI-native workplace offering enabled by OASIS that reimagines the digital workplace around employee outcomes.

With Workplace Services, agents and DXC experts help resolve employees’ IT issues before they disrupt work. As a result of this capability expansion and increased workflows in production, utilization surged 6x from last quarter. Demand for OASIS continues to be strong with increased adoption from existing clients and interest from new customers. With Patch Management emerging as a leading use case, we are currently running two pilots with new customers with incremental opportunities in the pipeline.

In our insurance business we continue to build momentum and in our SaaS-based Assure platform. With customer adoption exceeding 275 enterprise insurance accounts, this expanding platform install base allows more customers to use our AI-enabled Smart Apps. We sold our first Smart Apps in the quarter and our pipeline has grown more than 20% from last quarter. Additionally, we are leveraging Smart Apps internally in our BPS business to drive efficiencies and provide proof points for our customers.

As we shared last quarter, DXC is accelerating the development of our AI engineering talent through strategic partnerships and hands-on training programs. In August I attended Anthropic’s partner basecamp in San Francisco alongside DXC engineers and forward deployed engineers from across the industry. Working and learning alongside dozens of DXC teammates and FDEs and training from other companies gave me a close and upfront appreciation of the operating complexities of being an AI builder.

It also gave me insight into what human capital skills are needed to be an A player in an AI world. It demands a combination of engineering excellence, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to translate AI capabilities into measurable business outcomes. More than 500 of our engineers participated in a multi-platform FDE boot camp in India working with Anthropic, elevenlabs and AWS. Our approach is multi-platform, building expertise across Amazon, Microsoft, Copilot, 7AI, Anthropic and 11 labs to deliver solutions aligned with our clients’ needs.

Additional basecamps are planned for Sydney and Tokyo. Most importantly, DXC engineers are standing out in the marketplace for our operational and industry-specific context that is critical to creating value for our clients. We are already turning these capabilities into differentiated solutions for our customers. We have recently been approved to productize Claude Methos into DXC Frontier Code Assurance, a managed service that combines frontier AI reasoning with DXC’s cybersecurity expertise and governed delivery to identify, validate, prioritize, and help remediate vulnerabilities in critical software. A scan that produces every alert at once creates a backlog, not security.

DXC goes beyond identifying vulnerabilities by validating each finding, ranking it by risk to the client, and fixing what matters first. That is a tangible example of DXC’s differentiated commercial offerings for our customers in the cyberspace. Last quarter I talked about customers wanting the potential and promise of AI but also needing to trust the architecture underneath it. Since last quarter, trust and safety considerations have become even more important for customers given our work operating the most critical systems, applications, and infrastructure. Oftentimes in heavily regulated industries, trust and safety remains a key priority.

As we embed AI in more of our solutions, our architectures are being developed around safe, responsible, and resilient AI operations. DXC’s focus is on agent assurance, agent engineering, and harness engineering, which provide the controls, safeguards, and operating mechanisms needed to manage AI systems. DXC has also partnered with LangChain to support agent and harness development for OASIS. From the beginning, OASIS used LangChain to develop agents and we have continued improving the harness as agents move to the production environment.

We are licensing LangChain to support the development, evaluation, and observability of OASIS agents. We have more work to do, particularly in improving sales execution and stabilizing revenue in our core business. That remains a priority and we’re not satisfied with our current performance. But when I look at where DXC was at the beginning of this year and where we are today, the progress is meaningful. We have moved from strategy to products, from products to deployments, and increasingly from deployments to commercial adoption. We have a stronger leadership team, a growing portfolio of agency offerings, thousands of AI-certified engineers and customer relationships that give us a unique opportunity to scale.

Our strategy hasn’t changed. What has changed is the evidence that it can work. The priority now is execution, improving the core, scaling what works, and creating sustainable long-term value for our shareholders through 11 labs. My script will be available in six languages following this call. Let me turn it over to Rob to review the second quarter results.

Rob DelBene (Chief Financial Officer)

Thank you, Raul, and good afternoon everyone. Today I’ll go over our second quarter results, provide guidance for the third quarter and update our full fiscal year 2027 outlook. Now, starting with the second quarter results, total revenue was 3 billion, down 4% year to year, above the high end of our guidance range. Our adjusted EBIT margin was 6.2%, down 180 basis points year to year. Non-GAAP EPS was $0.67, down from $0.84 in the second quarter of last year, largely driven by lower adjusted EBIT. In the second quarter, we had a one-time contract modification in our insurance business which was not anticipated in our guidance.

Excluding the one-time modification, we were within the guidance range on revenue and in line with our adjusted EBIT margin and EPS guide. The book-to-bill ratio for the quarter was 0.8 and our trailing twelve-month book-to-bill ratio remained at 1.0. However, we came into the quarter with a robust pipeline and the bookings performance of -10% year to year was below our expectation. The performance was driven by large deal timing and project-based services pipeline conversion that declined versus recent history. This modestly impacted our revenue in the second quarter and affected our expectations for the second half of the year.

The decline in performance was most pronounced in the Americas and UKI. Now turning to our segment results, CES revenues declined 3.3% year to year, in line with our guide and consistent with recent performance. Enterprise Application Services and Growth acts continue to grow with pressure continuing in our custom applications business. We’re building momentum in engineering services supported by an expanding pipeline and year to year bookings growth. The CES book-to-bill ratio for the quarter was 0.79, reflecting a 17% decline in bookings year to year, primarily driven by application services.

As I referenced earlier, we had a strong pipeline coming into the quarter and our bookings performance was below our expectation, particularly in the Americas. For GIS, the book-to-bill ratio was 0.8 with a year to year bookings reduction of 13%. The decline was driven by the timing of several large deals that we now expect to close in the second half of the year and by weakness in our project-based services performance. The short-term project dynamic impacted our revenue, which was down 10% and slightly below our expectation.

Our insurance business grew 23% year to year, well above our expectation, driven by the contract modification previously mentioned, and excluding the modification, the underlying insurance revenue is consistent quarter to quarter with growth in recurring software revenue offset by the wind down of a business process services contract that we wrap in the fourth quarter. We continue to build momentum in our SaaS business, which grew at a strong double-digit rate in the quarter.

As a reminder, our SaaS business includes our Assure platform, Horizon solutions and AI-based smart apps where we’re starting to gain traction. We sold our first smart apps this quarter and the pipeline grew more than 20% from the prior quarter. These sales will begin to modestly contribute to our SaaS growth in the second half of the year. Now turning to cash flow and the balance sheet, we generated 91 million of free cash flow during the quarter and, as expected, we made a cash deposit of 122 million with the IRS related to our tax litigation case from currency losses from 2009. Excluding this payment, free cash flow totaled 213 million. For the first half of the year, free cash flow is 405 million, including our TCS settlement from the first quarter and the cash deposit made with the IRS in the second quarter.

Consistent with our capital allocation plans, we retired 400 million of our U.S. dollar bonds that matured in September 2026. Over the past several years we’ve made it a priority to reduce our total debt, strengthening our balance sheet. During the quarter we also repurchased 60 million of shares. Our capital allocation plans for the full year remain the same with flexibility on timing of the repurchases. Now let me provide you with our updated full fiscal year 2027 guidance. Before getting into the specifics, I want to give a little color on our guidance. As discussed in recent quarters, our guidance anticipated better second half revenue performance supported by an improving GIS opening backlog. These backlog dynamics remain unchanged.

However, there are two factors impacting our second half that are leading us to reduce our full year guide, the first being the impact of the weaker than expected second quarter bookings and second our assumption that the lower levels of pipeline conversion we experienced in 2Q will continue through the balance of the year and in both CES and GIS. Specifically, we now expect our full year organic revenue to decline 5% to 5.5% year to year. In CES, we now expect revenue to decline at a mid-single-digit range. In GIS, we continue to expect a stronger second half profile with modest sequential improvements in the third quarter and a more pronounced improvement in the fourth quarter. We are now expecting a high single-digit revenue decline for the year. In insurance, due to the impact of the 2Q contract modification, we are increasing our guide from low single-digit to mid-single-digit revenue growth.

We continue to expect an improvement in the fourth quarter revenue growth rate driven by the momentum in our AI and Cloud SaaS offerings and by the positive impact of the previously mentioned contract runoff which wraps in the fourth quarter. As a result of the reduction in our revenue guidance, we now expect adjusted EBIT margin for the full year to be between 5.75% and 6.25%. Our non-GAAP diluted EPS outlook is now expected to be between $2.25 to $2.50. We now expect full fiscal year 2027 free cash flow of approximately $600 million reflecting the reduction in our adjusted EBIT guidance. The second half free cash flow is skewed toward the fourth quarter driven by the timing of capital software payments being made in the third quarter.

For the third quarter of fiscal 2027, we expect total organic revenue to decline approximately 6% year to year. At the segment level, we expect CES to decline mid-single digits. GIS is anticipated to decline at a high single-digit rate and insurance is expected to grow at a similar rate as the first quarter. We expect adjusted EBIT margin to be approximately 6% and non-GAAP diluted EPS to be approximately $0.55. And with that, let me turn the call back over to Tiffany.

Tiffany Horvath (Senior Director, Investor Relations)

Your first question comes from the line of Tinsen Wong from JP Morgan. Your line is open. Please go ahead.

Tinsen Wong (Analyst at JP Morgan)

Perfect, thanks. Good afternoon. On my first question, just thinking about the lower pipeline conversion. Can you give us a little bit more detail? There is that client indecision. It sounds like the deals were pushed out, not lost. Is that accurate? Just curious how you’re seeing the next couple quarters play out here.

Rob DelBene (Chief Financial Officer)

Yeah, so it’s Rob here, so let me take it in a couple of pieces. First, a little more color. It was pronounced in the Americas and UKI. In terms of the deal dynamics, the deal side, the bigger deal being deferred was weighted toward UKI public sector. And those deals are still in the pipeline being negotiated and we have confidence that they’ll get booked. Just the timing is uncertain. So that was a delay dynamic as opposed to deals dropping out.

From a project-based services perspective, the smaller deals that was more heavily weighted toward the Americas impacted us mostly in financial services and the retail sectors and they impacted both GIS and CES. And those are a combination of deal slippage, deals being delayed, slipping, and then some deals dropping out of the pipeline. It’s a combination and, you know, the competition in the Americas has stiffened. We could see it reflected in our win rates.

So it’s most pronounced there. Now that being said, we enter into the third quarter with a really good pipeline also in the Americas. So we are generating, and these are qualified opportunities. These are not raw pipes, they’re qualified. So we continue to generate pipe. And, you know, we’ve got a lot of good content that Raul has mentioned in his remarks. So we’re optimistic going forward, but we’re not counting on it in our guide. We’re counting on conversion rates continuing at the levels in the second quarter.

Raul Fernandez (Chief Executive Officer)

Yeah, just let me add a little bit of color on kind of these agency deals. The small deals are smaller but they can happen more quickly, meaning they start and end and deliver value and prove value very quickly. But they are smaller than traditional small deals in rolling out SaaS and other types of products or pilots or projects. They also though lead to a clear line of sight on unlocking a tremendous amount of value. So while they’re upfront smaller, they move more quickly and deliver the proof points needed to then engage into much larger transactions that can be replicated.

And I think one thing that we’ll be able to talk about over the period of the next few quarters is a modernization-as-a-service win where we are executing ahead of time and the client’s super happy and there’s seven or eight projects right behind it and you can see that, A, the value is being delivered, it’s being recognized and the follow-on work is being unlocked. So I think there’s dynamics in kind of the traditional older projects. There are dynamics in terms of the new AI project size, cycle time, different set of issues, a tremendous amount of IP issues, tremendous amount of questions obviously around safety and security, around the right evals and harnesses and agents to make sure that everything that is being built is built in a safe way where information that our customers own are maintained and contained in a safe environment.

So the complexity is increasing, the time to value in terms of delivering an AI project is decreasing, but the unlock behind that is substantial.

Your next question comes from the line of Keith Bachman from BMO Capital Markets. Your line is open. Please go ahead.

Keith Bachman (Analyst at BMO Capital Markets)

Yeah, thank you. I had a couple. If I could, just to follow on from the previous question, Rob, could you speak to the why? You know, if these projects are being pushed, is it your sense because it’s a crowding out of other sources, other grabs for funds if you will, or competition? I’m just curious as to the why. Because the messages that we’re getting from the various leaders in IT services, frankly, is a little bit different in terms of the backdrop of the market dynamics.

So I just, number one, wanted to ask about the why. And two, you highlighted that they’re more competitive. And so should we infer from that comment that price competition is likewise increasing, which is perhaps impacting revenue growth and the bookings as well?

Raul Fernandez (Chief Executive Officer)

Yeah. So, Keith, what we’re seeing in the data—and again, this is pronounced in the Americas, meaning the U.S.—is that the pricing data we have is relatively stable, slightly down; the win rates dropped a bit in the quarter, and I think it’s related to the dynamic that Raul was mentioning. I mean, traditional project-based services are being delayed in that they’re undergoing additional evaluations and priorities are being reset by our customers.

And I think that’s happening everywhere. So that does delay the decision cycles on traditional workloads. I’ve talked directly to customers that have been in the decision cycle with us and without us, and I hear consistently that key managers, board members, et cetera, that review and approve go-forward or not on some of these initiatives are asking more like, okay, should we do this upgrade with this traditional software player or can we look at an agentic way of doing it? And those sets of questions are adding time to the sales cycle.

The other aspect to this is if they do move forward, they’re saying, okay, instead of a five-year deal, we should probably only do a two-year deal because we don’t know where the world’s going to be in two years. So those are dynamics that are happening. And I can tell you because I speak with a lot of customers as they’re making decisions on our work and on a lot of other companies’ work as well.

Keith Bachman (Analyst at BMO Capital Markets)

Let me just ask a follow-up to that then. As you’re speaking to a lot of customers, budgets are currently being formed for 2027. It’s probably, candidly, still early in the cycle, and I think there’s a risk or concern, rather, with investors that if leading organizations are trying to allocate incremental funds to AI—and frankly security as well—how do you think that positions IT services? In other words, do you envision risk to crowding out, or do you think there’s participation as you look at budget demands associated with calendar year ’27?

Raul Fernandez (Chief Executive Officer)

So a couple of things that I think I’ve learned over the last few months. One, while popular belief is that any of us can do something prompting and deliver some level, the complexities to actually deliver something that’s enterprise-level is tremendous. I mean, sitting two days in Basecamp with not just our engineers but engineers from competitors, I walked out of there going, first of all, it’s going to take longer—the transformation. Second, it is super complex, so people are still going to need outside providers.

So we and all of us will have plenty of work. But we’re going through a rough patch. We’re going through unpaved roads right now with not a lot of traffic, but that will smooth out. And then finally, I think there is a bifurcation of reimagining workflows versus executing on your current business. And as I’ve talked to customers, I think there’s a realization that people that are operating existing workflows, existing systems, are doing a fine job at it, but they may not be the best people to reimagine an agentic approach. That’s the opportunity we have, and that’s the opportunity that, frankly, is nascent today. That will emerge over time.

Your next question comes from the line of Brian Bergin from TD Cowen. Your line is open. Please go ahead.

Brian Bergin (Analyst at TD Cowen)

Hi, guys. Good afternoon. Thank you. Just based on what you’ve seen here in discretionary demand and the pipe conversion commentaries, do you foresee any risk that signed work that is already in backlog is incremental at risk? And what I’m curious about is certain items you may have signed that may be of a similar nature of where clients may be shifting their priorities in their pipeline. Is there any of that dynamic occurring where there could be elevated backlog erosion risk?

Rob DelBene (Chief Financial Officer)

Yeah, Brian, I don’t, in the data, I don’t see that. Our backlog erosion statistics for this year are very consistent with historical levels, and they’ve been actually moderating at a very good level. So we just do not see that happening.

Raul Fernandez (Chief Executive Officer)

Yeah, and I think there was a comment earlier about AI spending priorities. I think one area where we are super well positioned, because of our existing cyber business and remediation business and now with the ability to run our frontier code assurance—which essentially gives us the ability to take an application, any application, run it with Methos, detect vulnerabilities, document those, and help the client prioritize and patch those quickly—this is an area because the offensive side, meaning the bad guys, have the skills and capabilities, the defensive side has to get up to AI speed in order to fight AI intrusion at AI speed.

So while there are areas that may hit a longer decision cycle, there are areas where it is going to be required to move very quickly. And having that product offering just released in the market last week and making substantial progress in the limited amount of time we’ve been in market, I’m very, very optimistic that we’ve got the right product set available and the right offerings available for the demand that’s there today.

Brian Bergin (Analyst at TD Cowen)

Okay, okay, understood. And then just as it relates to the 2027 guidance—so, Rob, just really trying to unpack the moving parts. You had the insurance modification this quarter that helped, but I’m not sure if I heard that right, there was a separate offset potentially later. So first that, and then if you can kind of rank-order the most notable drivers in the reduction elsewhere across CES and GIS. And I think it sounds like you’re still assuming GIS ramps in 4Q, if I heard that right.

What gives you that confidence?

Rob DelBene (Chief Financial Officer)

Yes, you did hear that right. Well, first, on the one-time benefit from the insurance transaction, there was no real offset to that. So that was a one-time second-quarter benefit, carries through to the full year with no downside offset. In terms of the dynamics of our guide change, just going back a little bit to—we had a strong opening backlog coming into the year. That opening backlog projected an improvement in our year-to-year performance in the second half of the year, pronounced in GIS. We entered the second quarter with a strong pipeline. We assumed the recent historical conversion rates of that pipeline, and what occurred was what I mentioned in my prepared remarks: we had delays in larger deals in GIS.

Again, they’re not lost; they’re delays. But the revenue impact of those delays carries into the second half of the year. And then we had the drop, particularly in the Americas, in the conversion rate of the pipeline that also impacts the second half of the year. So if you look at the dynamics, kind of unpacking them a little bit, half of the takedown is GIS, half of the takedown is CES—in that range, they’re very close. And the drop in second-quarter performance, meaning the bookings we had anticipated that didn’t come through, are about two-thirds of our revenue decline in our guideline, and the last third is carrying forward those lower conversion rates into third and fourth quarter. Now, all of that had very little impact to 2Q.

They impact the go-forward third and fourth quarters.

For analysts wanting to ask a question or any additional follow-ups, please press star one to raise your hand. To withdraw your question, please press star one again. Your next question comes from the line of Jonathan Lee from Guggenheim. Your line is open. Please go ahead.

Jonathan Lee (Analyst at Guggenheim)

Great. Thanks for taking my questions. Look, pricing is stable, yet win rates are falling, while peers describe what is effectively a steadier backdrop. Can you help us understand if this may be a DXC-specific share-loss issue, and who is winning those deals that you lose? What are you changing in sales execution to potentially recover here? What gives you confidence that that dynamic can potentially inflect?

Raul Fernandez (Chief Executive Officer)

Yeah, we’re simplifying our interaction with the customer so that we’ve got a single point of accountability between the company, DXC, and the customer, with the offerings backing up that single point of accountability. That friction—before, we had multiple touchpoints, it wasn’t coordinated, we were moving at different speeds for different deals and different offerings. The clarity and simplicity that we’re putting in place now—and Paul’s been here two months now—is quickly showing up in our ability to engage and put the whole portfolio.

So I think to the extent we’ve had, you know, delays—we definitely have had delays in deals—that to the extent we haven’t been able to capture or convert some of those, some of those are self-made, some of those are absolutely go-to-market imperfections that we have that we’re now clarifying. So I feel confident that that will help. But if you just step back and you say, at the end of the day, what do you have to offer and what are people buying?

We’re good. We have the set of skills, the set of technology, the set of partners, the set of capabilities that are needed today across the world. We just have to match the supply signal with the demand signal at the right time and chase enough deals so that we’re not stressing over conversion rates that slip a point or two in any direction. So I’m confident that the portfolio is solid. I’m confident that we’re getting better in execution and go-to-market.

I am super confident that we have the ingredients to win, and I’m confident we’re going to win.

Jonathan Lee (Analyst at Guggenheim)

Thanks for that, Raul. And just as a follow-up for Rob, with revenue now declining faster than planned, what cost actions protect margins as you go into next year and as you think about your three-year outlook? And how do you ensure you’re driving cost actions without meaningfully impacting the investments that you need to make to drive revenue growth?

Rob DelBene (Chief Financial Officer)

Yep, yep. So, Jonathan, we came into the year with a cost takeout plan—cost reduction plan—that was pretty consistent in terms of year-to-year levels. With the revenue dropping, we’ve increased that cost takeout objective. We baked that into this guide and, going forward into fiscal 2028 for us, we are currently evaluating what steps we take under the assumption—you know, we’re conservative—so we’re going to take the assumption that we have to go deeper.

So we’re currently evaluating the plans for ’28. A little premature to comment on specifics at this time, but it’s—you know, believe me, we’re working hard on plans for next year.

Raul Fernandez (Chief Executive Officer)

And I know we all talk in percentages here, but when you just step back a second and you go, okay, you’ve got a $12 billion backdrop. The difference between winning and losing against a $12 billion backdrop is an incremental 155 million. When I look at what we have to sell, when I look at the size of those deals, when I look at the new offerings that we have, I feel confident—when you put it in that context—we can close that gap. So while, percentage-wise, it is what it is, on a total aggregate, can you add enough opportunities into the pipeline to close a gap that today, again, is a run-rate gap, about 150 million? The answer is absolutely yes. We just have to execute better.

Your next question comes from the line of Jamie Friedman from Susquehanna. Your line is open. Please go ahead.

Jamie Friedman (Analyst at Susquehanna)

Hey, guys, sorry for the background noise. I’ll ask mine up front. I’ll ask two up front. So, any update on growth X? Because that seems important. And then about the Guidewire announced as hyper—

Raul Fernandez (Chief Executive Officer)

Hey, Jamie. Jamie, you’re fading—Jamie, we can’t hear you, but let me take your growth act. The modernization as a service is part of that offering. And as I mentioned in my remarks earlier, that is a great example of an initial win. Again, the promise of legacy code transformation and modernization has been around for a long time, long time. The reality that it can happen at a high quality, that it can get documented, that the deliverables meet the expectations—we feel super confident there. And you know, we had our investor 140 days ago. We launched many of these initiatives 140 days ago. We’ve been in market, we’ve won some deals. We’ve now completed the initial phases and we see behind the initial phases of following work as a result of those. And again, those are all kind of agentic in nature. You cut out at the end of your question. So I think I answered your growth X question, but please repeat the rest of it. I’m sorry, guys.

Jamie Friedman (Analyst at Susquehanna)

I’m in a public space. So Guidewire, which is an insurance software competitor to DXC Technology, acquired Hyperexponential earlier this week for 20 times revenue. And I think we’d be tone-deaf not to ask about this. I’m not asking about your own process. But we don’t, you know, we’re not software insurance experts; you are. So do they do something that you do or can do? And how should we be thinking about the scarcity of assets like that in this market?

Raul Fernandez (Chief Executive Officer)

Yeah, look, I’m not going to get into comments about ISB. What I can tell you is that the profile of highly sticky customers, a very high recurring rate of revenue, new products that are agentic in nature and SaaS-like in nature, are all the ingredients for high valuations. And that’s a fantastic valuation by any measure, right. But I think we have those dynamics. I think, and I know we have those ingredients in ISB and I know we have them in other parts of the company as well.

So to answer your question, the attributes that make that interesting for that level of acquisition and that level of consideration for an acquisition are pretty clear: sticky customers, moats, regulatory moats, highly regulated, a lot of recurring. All those attributes are in our insurance business and frankly they’re in other parts of DXC Technology as well.

Your next question comes from the line of James Fawcett from Morgan Stanley. Your line is open. Please go ahead.

James Fawcett (Analyst at Morgan Stanley)

Thank you very much. And also, apologies for the background noise. Want to just ask on the data security point that you’re making, particularly as potential customers and customers are evaluating their solution sets, et cetera. Just wondering if you can give us examples of how that’s being addressed in the cases you’ve seen. It sounds like you really feel comfortable with your offering. How do you match that? I think the data security and, if we expand it wider to the data sovereignty question, is an important one for a lot of potential customers.

And just wondering how we should think about what capabilities you have that are matching that.

Raul Fernandez (Chief Executive Officer)

Yeah, you know, as I’ve looked around and talked to competitors and other players in the space coming at it from different angles, I do believe one of the key ingredients for long-term success when we look back in a period of time is the deep engineering bench that we’ve got globally and the cross-reference of that bench with certain industry skills. I think that combination is key. We have done a really good job with Anthropic and others to certify our engineers. 140 days into this relationship, we’ve got thousands of engineers certified and we’re in the top 10 of all companies in the world with regards to FD certified for Anthropic. So first you have to have the people that have the skills. Then you have to find the demand for those people who have the skills, and you’ve got to match those in a timely way.

So the first step is there. We know our customers have the demand. There are data security, there are sovereignty, there are what goes in a public model, what goes in a private model, how to use these models. There’s a lot of complexity here, and the complexity fuels the need to get additional heads in the room and help figure out how to move forward. So the demand backdrop for us and for others in this space is very strong. If you’ve got the right combination of raw talent, and I think we do have that as a very strong foundation at DXC Technology.

James Fawcett (Analyst at Morgan Stanley)

Got it, got it. And then back on your execution point, it’s interesting because it sounds like there’s lots of reevaluation, but at the same time, you feel like when decisions aren’t being made that maybe you’re not quite in the right position, etc. Can you just expand on that and what are the things that you think need to be done internally at DXC to, as you put it, better meet the opportunity?

Raul Fernandez (Chief Executive Officer)

You know, I think it’s clarifying and prioritizing the parts of the product suite that we know have traction, where we have proof points, making sure that those proof points are internally distributed, and then ultimately, you know, that sales and marketing and case study material delivered to new prospects. I also do think it’s the right set of offerings at the right time. I think our cyber business, our cybersecurity, and now the ability to offer the Frontier code assurance where we can take one of your applications.

Jamie, we can scan 10 million lines of code really quickly. We can document the vulnerability, create a patching framework. We can use our products to go help your teams patch. That is a very, very hot offering. We are one of the few companies in the world that currently are able to do that. We are selling it. And I think that is one of the avenues where there will not be hesitation in purchasing because it’s a you-must-do situation. Because unfortunately, the offensive side, the bad side, the intruders have access to this and they will take full opportunity to exploit.

So I think it’s a combination of right product, right fit, right timing, and then obviously, the mechanical execution of engaging with our clients quickly and getting a decision moved along as quickly as possible without having internal friction and then minimizing external friction on the buy side.

(NASDAQ: TSBK) (“Timberland” or “the Company”), the holding company for Timberland Bank (the “Bank”), today reported net income of $31.17 million for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2026, an increase of 7% from $29.16 million for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2025. Earnings per diluted common share (“EPS”) increased 8% to $3.96 for the 2026 fiscal year from $3.67 for the 2025 fiscal year.

Timberland also reported net income of $8.11 million, or $1.04 per diluted common share for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. This compares to net income of $7.72 million, or $0.98 per diluted common share for the preceding quarter, and $8.45 million, or $1.07 per diluted common share, for the comparable quarter one year ago. (Note: net income for the comparable quarter one year ago was increased by a $1.04 million bank owned life insurance benefit claim.)

“We closed out the fiscal year on a high note, delivering record annual earnings per share and a strong fourth quarter,” stated Dean Brydon, Chief Executive Officer. “Net income and earnings per share increased 5% and 6%, respectively, from the prior quarter, while net interest margin widened compared with both the prior quarter and year-ago quarter. While earnings were lower than the year-ago quarter, that period included a $1.04 million BOLI insurance claim, and excluding that benefit, results compared favorably. For the full fiscal year, we also improved our net interest margin and return on average assets while generating solid growth in net loans. We are proud of what our team accomplished this year in serving our customers, communities, and shareholders, and we look forward to building on that progress in the new year.”

“As a result of Timberland’s strong earnings and capital position, our Board of Directors announced a 3% increase to the quarterly cash dividend to shareholders of $0.31 per share, payable on November 27, 2026, to shareholders of record on November 12, 2026,” stated Jonathan Fischer, President and Chief Operating Officer. “Marking our 56th consecutive quarterly cash dividend, this payment reflects the Board’s continued confidence in Timberland’s long-term prospects.”

“Overall, fourth quarter earnings were strong and largely free of non-recurring items,” said Marci Basich, Chief Financial Officer. “Revenue generation was strong and net interest margin expanded 11 basis points from the prior quarter and 14 basis points from the year-ago quarter, reflecting our disciplined approach to pricing on both sides of the balance sheet. We also continued to build shareholder value during the quarter, growing tangible book value per share (non-GAAP) to $33.54, while repurchasing 40,395 shares of our common stock. These actions, combined with the dividend increase, reflect both the strength of our earnings and our confidence in the long-term value of the franchise.”

“Net loans grew 2% from the prior quarter, a testament to the strength of our lending teams and the continued demand we are seeing in our markets,” Brydon continued. “Credit quality held steady with modest improvements in non-performing asset levels, delinquency levels, and substandard loan levels. While net charge-offs increased, that was largely the result of charging off specific reserves we had already set up on several loans in prior periods. Our markets continue to offer solid growth opportunities and we remain confident in the quality of our loan portfolio and our disciplined approach to credit risk management.”

Operating Results

Operating revenue (net interest income before the provision for credit losses plus non-interest income) for the current quarter increased 5% to $22.79 million from $21.79 million for the preceding quarter and increased 1% from $22.49 million for the comparable quarter one year ago. The increase in operating revenue compared to the preceding quarter was primarily due to an increase in interest income on loans receivable, and to a lesser extent, an increase in non-interest income. These increases in operating revenue were partially offset by a decrease in interest income on interest-bearing deposits in banks, and to a lesser extent, an increase in interest expense. Operating revenue increased 6%, to $87.34 million for the 2026 fiscal year from $82.55 million for the 2025 fiscal year, primarily due to increases in interest income on loans receivable and interest income on interest-bearing deposits in banks, and a decrease in interest expense. These increases in operating revenue for the fiscal year were partially offset by decreases in interest income on investment securities and net BOLI earnings.

Net interest income increased $857,000 or 5%, to $19.66 million for the current quarter from $18.81 million for the preceding quarter and increased $1.27 million, or 7%, from $18.40 million for the comparable quarter one year ago. The increase in net interest income compared to the preceding quarter was primarily due to an $11.46 million increase in the average interest-earning assets, a nine-basis point increase in the weighted average yield on interest-bearing assets and, to a lesser extent, a one-basis point decrease in the weighted average cost of interest-bearing liabilities. Net interest income for the 2026 fiscal year increased $5.46 million, or 8%, to $75.66 million from $70.20 million for the 2025 fiscal year, primarily due to an $89.24 million increase in average interest-earning assets and a 17-basis point decrease in the weighted average cost of interest-bearing liabilities.

Timberland’s NIM for the current quarter increased to 3.96% from 3.85% for the preceding quarter and from 3.82% for the comparable quarter one year ago. The NIM for the current quarter was increased by approximately two basis points due to the collection of $94,000 in pre-payment penalties, non-accrual interest, and late fees, and the accretion of $8,000 of the fair value discount on acquired loans. The NIM for the preceding quarter was increased by approximately two basis points due to the collection of $82,000 in pre-payment penalties, non-accrual interest, and late fees, and the accretion of $8,000 of the fair value discount on acquired loans. The NIM for the comparable quarter one year ago was increased by approximately two basis points due to the collection of $102,000 in pre-payment penalties, non-accrual interest, and late fees, and the accretion of $11,000 of the fair value discount on acquired loans. Timberland’s NIM expanded to 3.87% for fiscal year 2026 from 3.76% for fiscal year 2025.

A $475,000 provision for credit losses on loans was recorded for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. The provision was primarily due to loan portfolio growth and changes in the composition of the loan portfolio. This compares to a $600,000 provision for credit losses on loans for the preceding quarter and a $213,000 provision for credit losses on loans for the comparable quarter one year ago.

Non-interest income increased $134,000, or 4%, to $3.12 million for the current quarter from $2.99 million for the preceding quarter and decreased $971,000, or 24%, from $4.09 million for the comparable quarter one year ago. The increase in non-interest income compared to the preceding quarter was primarily due to a $99,000 increase in BOLI net earnings and smaller increases in several other categories. Non-interest income for the 2026 fiscal year decreased by 5%, to $11.68 million from $12.35 million for the 2025 fiscal year. The decrease in non-interest income compared to the prior year periods was primarily the result of a $1.04 million BOLI death benefit claim recorded in the comparable quarter one year ago.

Total operating (non-interest) expenses for the current quarter increased $652,000, or 6%, to $12.29 million from $11.64 million for the preceding quarter and increased $331,000, or 3%, from $11.96 million for the comparable quarter one year ago. The increase in operating expenses compared to the preceding quarter was primarily due to increases in salary and employee benefits expense and ATM and debit card processing expense and smaller decreases and increases in several other expense categories. The efficiency ratio for the current quarter was 53.94% compared to 53.40% for the preceding quarter and 53.18% for the comparable quarter one year ago. For the 2026 fiscal year, operating expenses increased $1.63 million, or 4%, to $47.02 million from $45.39 million for the 2025 fiscal year. The efficiency ratio for the 2026 fiscal year improved to 53.83% from 54.98% for the 2025 fiscal year.

The provision for income taxes for the current quarter increased $32,000, or 2%, to $1.96 million from $1.93 million for the preceding quarter, primarily due to higher taxable income. Timberland’s effective income tax rate was 19.5% for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, compared to 20.0% for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, and 18.1% for the quarter ended September 30, 2025. Timberland’s effective income tax rate was 19.9% for fiscal year 2026 compared to 19.5% for fiscal year 2025.

Balance Sheet Management

Total assets increased $2.97 million, or less than 1%, during the quarter to $2.06 billion at September 30, 2026, from $2.06 billion at June 30, 2026, and increased $51.01 million, or 3%, from $2.01 billion one year ago. The increase during the quarter was primarily due to an increase in net loans receivable, which was partially offset by decreases in total cash and cash equivalents and investment securities.

Liquidity

Timberland has continued to maintain a strong liquidity position, both on-balance sheet and off-balance sheet. Liquidity, as measured by the sum of cash and cash equivalents, CDs held for investment, and available for sale investment securities, was 18.5% of total liabilities at September 30, 2026, compared to 19.3% at June 30, 2026, and 18.8% one year ago. Timberland also had secured borrowing line capacity of $810 million available through the FHLB and the Federal Reserve at September 30, 2026. With a strong and diversified deposit base, only 20% of Timberland’s deposits were uninsured or uncollateralized at September 30, 2026. (Note: This calculation excludes public deposits that are fully collateralized.)

Loans

Net loans receivable increased $30.60 million, or 2%, during the quarter to $1.53 billion at September 30, 2026, from $1.50 billion at June 30, 2026, and increased $62.66 million, or 4%, from $1.46 billion at September 30, 2025. The increase during the quarter was primarily due to an $18.19 million increase in multi-family loans, a $6.33 million increase in one- to four-family loans, a $3.12 million increase in land loans, a $2.04 million increase in commercial business loans, a $1.03 million increase in construction and land development loans, and smaller increases in several other loan categories. These increases were partially offset by a $1.85 million increase in the undisbursed portion of construction loans in process and smaller changes in several other loan categories.

Timberland continues to originate fixed-rate one- to four-family mortgage loans, a portion of which are sold into the secondary market for asset-liability management purposes and to generate non-interest income. During the current quarter, fixed-rate one- to four-family mortgage loans totaling $9.52 million were sold compared to $7.83 million for the preceding quarter and $9.01 million for the comparable quarter one year ago.

Investment Securities

Timberland’s investment securities and CDs held for investment decreased $8.62 million, or 4%, to $208.28 million at September 30, 2026, from $216.89 million at June 30, 2026, and decreased $14.90 million, or 7% from $223.18 million at September 30, 2025. The decreases were primarily due to the maturities of U.S. Treasury Securities and scheduled amortization, which were partially offset by the purchase of additional CDs and U.S. government agency mortgage-backed investment securities.

Bank Owned Life Insurance (“BOLI”)

BOLI increased $345,000, or 1%, to $37.73 million at September 30, 2026, from $37.39 million at June 30, 2026, and increased $15.90 million, or 73% from $21.83 million at September 30, 2025. The increase during the year was primarily due to $15.00 million in additional BOLI policies purchased during the June 30, 2026 quarter.

Deposits

Total deposits increased $5.58 million, or less than 1%, during the quarter to $1.77 billion at September 30, 2026, from $1.76 billion at June 30, 2026, and increased $52.49 million, or 3%, from $1.72 billion at September 30, 2025. The quarter’s increase consisted of an $11.59 million increase in non-interest-bearing deposit account balances, a $2.85 million increase in money market deposit account balances, and a $2.00 million increase in savings account balances. These increases were partially offset by a $7.88 million decrease in NOW checking account balances and a $2.99 million decrease in certificates of deposit account balances.

Total borrowings decreased $5.00 million, or 50%, to $5.00 million at September 30, 2026, from $10.00 million at June 30, 2026 and decreased $15.00 million, or 75% at September 30, 2025.

Shareholders’ Equity and Capital Ratios

Total shareholders’ equity increased $3.10 million, or 1%, to $276.31 million at September 30, 2026, from $273.21 million at June 30, 2026, and increased $13.70 million, or 5%, from $262.61 million at September 30, 2025. The increase in shareholders’ equity during the quarter was primarily due to net income of $8.11 million and proceeds from stock option exercises of $325,000. These increases to shareholders’ equity were partially offset by the payment of $2.33 million in dividends to shareholders and the repurchase of 40,395 shares of common stock for $1.85 million (an average price of $45.83 per share), and a $1.43 million increase in the accumulated other comprehensive loss. At September 30, 2026, Timberland had 117,582 shares available to be repurchased in accordance with the terms of its existing stock repurchase plan.

Timberland remains well capitalized with a total risk-based capital ratio of 20.86%, a Tier 1 leverage capital ratio of 12.91%, a tangible common equity to tangible assets ratio (non-GAAP) of 12.74%, and a shareholders’ equity to total assets ratio of 13.39% at September 30, 2026. Timberland’s held to maturity investment securities were $105.35 million at September 30, 2026, with a net unrealized loss of $5.49 million (pre-tax). Although not permitted by U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”), including these unrealized losses in accumulated other comprehensive income (loss) (“AOCI”) would result in a ratio of shareholders’ equity to total assets of 13.21%, compared to 13.39%, as reported.

Asset Quality
Timberland’s non-performing assets to total assets ratio was 0.42% at September 30, 2026, compared to 0.43% at June 30, 2026, and 0.23% at September 30, 2025. Net charge-offs were $1.07 million for the current quarter compared to net recoveries of $1,000 for the preceding quarter and net charge-offs of less than $1,000 for the comparable quarter one year ago. The increase in charge-offs was primarily the result of charging off specific reserves that had been set up in prior quarters on several loans, including $436,000 on a participation loan. During the current quarter, a $475,000 provision for credit losses on loans was made, which was partially offset by a $45,000 recapture of credit losses on unfunded commitments and a $1,000 recapture of credit losses on investment securities. The allowance for credit losses (“ACL”) for loans as a percentage of loans receivable was 1.21% at September 30, 2026, compared to 1.27% at June 30, 2026, and 1.22% one year ago.

Total delinquent loans (past due 30 days or more) and non-accrual loans decreased $3,000, less than 1%, to $8.70 million at September 30, 2026, from $8.71 million at June 30, 2026, and increased $3.05 million, or 54%, from $5.66 million at September 30, 2025. Non-accrual loans decreased $163,000 or 2%, to $8.39 million at September 30, 2026 from $8.56 million at June 30, 2026, and increased $3.99 million, or 90%, from $4.41 million at September 30, 2025. Loans graded “Substandard” decreased $271,000, or 3%, to $8.39 million at September 30, 2026 from $8.66 million at June 30, 2026 and decreased $24.41 million, or 74%, from $32.80 million at September 30, 2025.

Edison International (EIX) Surpasses Q3 Earnings Estimates
EIX Edison International
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Edison International (EIX - Free Report) came out with quarterly earnings of $1.92 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.83 per share. This compares to earnings of $2.34 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of +4.92%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this electric power provider would post earnings of $1.02 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.54, delivering a surprise of +50.98%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates four times.

Edison International, which belongs to the Zacks Utility - Electric Power industry, posted revenues of $4.89 billion for the quarter ended September 2026, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 11.66%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $5.75 billion. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates two times over the last four quarters.

The sustainability of the stock's immediate price movement based on the recently-released numbers and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's commentary on the earnings call.

Edison International shares have lost about 2% since the beginning of the year versus the S&P 500's gain of 13.1%.

What's Next for Edison International? While Edison International has underperformed the market so far this year, the question that comes to investors' minds is: what's next for the stock?

There are no easy answers to this key question, but one reliable measure that can help investors address this is the company's earnings outlook. Not only does this include current consensus earnings expectations for the coming quarter(s), but also how these expectations have changed lately.

Empirical research shows a strong correlation between near-term stock movements and trends in earnings estimate revisions. Investors can track such revisions by themselves or rely on a tried-and-tested rating tool like the Zacks Rank, which has an impressive track record of harnessing the power of earnings estimate revisions.

Ahead of this earnings release, the estimate revisions trend for Edison International was mixed. While the magnitude and direction of estimate revisions could change following the company's just-released earnings report, the current status translates into a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) for the stock. So, the shares are expected to perform in line with the market in the near future. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

It will be interesting to see how estimates for the coming quarters and the current fiscal year change in the days ahead. The current consensus EPS estimate is $1.35 on $4.58 billion in revenues for the coming quarter and $6.13 on $18.68 billion in revenues for the current fiscal year.

Investors should be mindful of the fact that the outlook for the industry can have a material impact on the performance of the stock as well. In terms of the Zacks Industry Rank, Utility - Electric Power is currently in the top 38% of the 250 plus Zacks industries. Our research shows that the top 50% of the Zacks-ranked industries outperform the bottom 50% by a factor of more than 2 to 1.

Otter Tail (OTTR - Free Report) , another stock in the same industry, has yet to report results for the quarter ended September 2026. The results are expected to be released on November 2.

This power company and manufacturer is expected to post quarterly earnings of $1.57 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of -15.6%. The consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 11% higher over the last 30 days to the current level.

Otter Tail's revenues are expected to be $335.7 million, up 3.1% from the year-ago quarter.

CACI: 3 Key Takeaways for Long-Term Investors
CACI CACI International
FMP Stock News
Original source text
On its first-quarter fiscal year 2027 earnings call, held on Oct. 22, 2026, CACI (CACI +1.22%) raised its full-year financial guidance. The company secured $4.8 billion in new contract awards during the quarter. High-margin defense technology sales are driving faster debt reduction and improving earnings visibility.

Three things management said stand out.

1. Existing Program Contracts Secure 94% of Full-Year RevenueCACI reduced its operational execution risk by securing almost all required annual revenue from existing programs, defined as active customer contracts already under performance. That leaves only 6% of expected sales dependent on new contract wins or recompetes, which are competitive renewals of existing contracts. High existing business content shields full-year performance from federal budget delays.

This significant increase in existing business content which was 83% just last quarter, reflects our successful business development and operational performance and provides increased confidence in our updated guidance, as I mentioned earlier.
-- Jeffrey D. MacLauchlan, Chief Financial Officer2. Debt Reduction Is Running Two Quarters Ahead of ScheduleThe company's rapidly paying down debt following its acquisition of space-sensing provider ARKA, accelerating its deleveraging, or reducing debt relative to earnings. Dropping leverage, or net debt relative to earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA), back to the low 3x range restores financial flexibility for future acquisitions or share repurchases.

Pro-forma leverage at the end of the first quarter was 3.5 times and we now expect to return to leverage in the low threes in the March quarter of 27. 2 quarters earlier than we had initially anticipated.
-- Jeffrey D. MacLauchlan, Chief Financial Officer3. Manufacturing Expansion Scales Production for High-Demand Defense SystemsTo meet rising military demand for electronic warfare equipment and counter-UAS, or counter-unmanned aerial systems that detect and disable drones, CACI's expanding its production footprint. Management opened a 61,000-square-foot facility in Rochester, New York, to assemble and test specialized hardware systems like its BEAM manpackable counter-drone technology.

The additional 61 thousand-square-foot facility significantly increases our manufacturing space, and expands our capacity to develop, test, assemble, and deliver defense electronics, such as TLS Manpack, BEAM, and others.
-- John S. Mengucci, President and Chief Executive OfficerLooking AheadDefense spending remains focused on critical technology capabilities, supporting double-digit growth in funded backlog, or contracted work backed by committed government funds.

The priorities we focus on are well funded, and continue to exhibit strong demand signals because they are needs that must be addressed.
-- John S. Mengucci, President and Chief Executive OfficerMultiyear contract wins and proprietary software capabilities provide operational visibility. Management's focusing on capital allocation discipline and organic revenue growth as production capacity scales.

You have heard us say consistently that we view free cash flow per share as the ultimate value creation metric.
-- John S. Mengucci, President and Chief Executive OfficerThe Motley Fool has positions in and recommends CACI International. The Motley Fool has a disclosure policy.

The AI Trade Just Moved Into Your Bloodstream, and 4 Healthcare Stocks Are WinningIllumina NASDAQ: ILMN reported third-quarter results above its prior guidance, citing strong clinical sequencing demand, elevated NovaSeq X instrument placements and disciplined spending. Management said financial measures discussed on the call excluded the impact of tariff refunds recognized during the quarter. According to Head of Investor Relations Conor McNamara, the refunds positively affected GAAP and non-GAAP operating income, margins and earnings per share, while negatively affecting revenue.

Cash equivalents and short-term investments totaled approximately $1.34 billion, while total debt was $1.79 billion.

The company raised its 2026 revenue outlook by $30 million at the midpoint to a range of $4.64 billion to $4.66 billion. Illumina continues to expect rest-of-world organic growth of more than 5% for the year, mid-single-digit organic growth in sequencing consumables, and low-double-digit instrument growth.

Illumina now expects full-year operating margin of about 23.6% and diluted EPS of $5.40 to $5.45, up $0.08 at the midpoint from prior guidance. For the fourth quarter, the company projected revenue of $1.22 billion to $1.24 billion, rest-of-world organic growth of approximately 4.5%, operating margin of about 25%, and EPS of $1.51 to $1.56.

Clinical Demand Drives NovaSeq X Placements Chief Executive Officer Jacob Thaysen said the company placed more than 80 NovaSeq X instruments in the quarter, bringing placements over the past four quarters to about 360. He said the total exceeded placements in the platform’s first year after launch.

“Customer demand for the NovaSeq X platform remains at very high levels,” Thaysen said, attributing demand to broader adoption of sequencing-based diagnostics and increasingly sequencing-intensive assays.

Clinical sequencing consumables growth in rest-of-world markets was 14% in the third quarter, while research and applied sequencing consumables declined 6%. Illumina maintained its expectation for mid-teens clinical consumables growth in 2026 and mid- to high-single-digit declines in research and applied consumables.

Dhingra said approximately 84% of high-throughput volume and 60% of high-throughput revenue are now on NovaSeq X. The transition is largely complete in research and applied markets, where 90% or more of volume has been on the X platform for each of the last five quarters. In clinical markets, 78% of volume is on NovaSeq X, with conversion expected to reach 80% to 85% in coming quarters.

The company expects year-over-year pricing headwinds from the X transition to be lower in 2027 than in 2026. It also plans to stop presenting its quarterly X-transition price-and-volume chart after its fourth-quarter 2026 earnings presentation, saying it is becoming less useful as conversion nears completion.

During the question-and-answer session, Thaysen said the recent level of NovaSeq X demand did not reflect pull-forward activity. He pointed to clinical capacity expansion, new assays and future platform innovation as factors supporting demand. Dhingra added that operating-lease and reagent-rental arrangements are seeing increased interest among research customers and midsized clinical laboratories, although they have been less prevalent among the company’s largest clinical customers.

BioInsight and AI Data Opportunities Illumina also highlighted its BioInsight ecosystem, which combines assays, sequencing platforms, software, artificial intelligence models and biological data. The company introduced the BioInsight platform during the quarter and said it includes access to SpliceAI2, an AI model designed to predict how genetic changes affect RNA splicing.

Thaysen said SpliceAI2 identified 17% more disease-relevant splice variants than other splicing models in rare-disease research data sets. He also discussed the company’s Billion Cell Atlas, which is intended to create a standardized, reproducible perturbation data set for biopharmaceutical customers developing AI models for biology.

GSK joined the Billion Cell Atlas consortium during the period, according to Thaysen. Dhingra said the program is converting more backlog into revenue and that the company sees strong pipeline interest. He said BioInsight and related data initiatives should begin to become more visible financially in 2027, with new products and BioInsight expected to contribute to the company’s previously discussed one-to-two-point growth opportunity.

Management said the AI opportunity could include both services for generating large, standardized biological data sets and demand for instruments and consumables from customers that want to augment Illumina-generated data with their own proprietary data.

China and 2027 Framework Illumina said it returned to year-over-year growth in China during the third quarter, though executives did not provide detailed regional figures on the call. Thaysen said the company remains committed to serving Chinese customers and sees a sizable opportunity in the market, while continuing to work with regulators and assess geopolitical developments.

Looking ahead, executives deferred detailed 2027 guidance until the fourth-quarter earnings call. Thaysen said the company views more than 5% consumables growth as a starting point, supported by the expanding NovaSeq X installed base, clinical demand, multi-omics offerings and emerging AI-related data opportunities. He reiterated that Illumina remains on track toward the high-single-digit growth range outlined as part of its 2024 strategy.

This compares to year-ago revenues of $1.08 billion. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates three times over the last four quarters.

The sustainability of the stock's immediate price movement based on the recently-released numbers and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's commentary on the earnings call.

Illumina shares have added about 120.2% since the beginning of the year versus the S&P 500's gain of 13.1%.

What's Next for Illumina? While Illumina has outperformed the market so far this year, the question that comes to investors' minds is: what's next for the stock?

There are no easy answers to this key question, but one reliable measure that can help investors address this is the company's earnings outlook. Not only does this include current consensus earnings expectations for the coming quarter(s), but also how these expectations have changed lately.

Empirical research shows a strong correlation between near-term stock movements and trends in earnings estimate revisions. Investors can track such revisions by themselves or rely on a tried-and-tested rating tool like the Zacks Rank, which has an impressive track record of harnessing the power of earnings estimate revisions.

Ahead of this earnings release, the estimate revisions trend for Illumina was favorable. While the magnitude and direction of estimate revisions could change following the company's just-released earnings report, the current status translates into a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) for the stock. So, the shares are expected to outperform the market in the near future. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

It will be interesting to see how estimates for the coming quarters and the current fiscal year change in the days ahead. The current consensus EPS estimate is $1.50 on $1.22 billion in revenues for the coming quarter and $5.36 on $4.62 billion in revenues for the current fiscal year.

Investors should be mindful of the fact that the outlook for the industry can have a material impact on the performance of the stock as well. One other stock from the same industry, Iovance Biotherapeutics (IOVA - Free Report) , is yet to report results for the quarter ended September 2026. The results are expected to be released on November 5.

This biotechnology company is expected to post quarterly loss of $0.09 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +64%. The consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 18% higher over the last 30 days to the current level.

Iovance Biotherapeutics' revenues are expected to be $117.67 million, up 74.4% from the year-ago quarter.

WHY ROSEN LAW: We encourage investors to select qualified counsel with a track record of success in leadership roles. Be wise in selecting counsel. The Rosen Law Firm represents investors throughout the globe, concentrating its practice in securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation. Rosen Law Firm has achieved the largest ever securities class action settlement against a Chinese Company. Rosen Law Firm was Ranked No. 1 by ISS Securities Class Action Services for number of securities class action settlements in 2017. DETAILS OF THE CASE: According to the lawsuit, throughout the Class Period, defendants made materially false and misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) defendants' products failed to adequately disclose the cardiac risks of consuming Alani Nutrition LLC ("Alani Nu") products; (2) by marketing Alani Nu drinks to consumers under the age of 18, Celsius was marketing its products to individuals who were particularly susceptible to known health risks posed by those products; (3) the foregoing created a non-speculative risk that Alani Nu consumers would suffer potentially fatal adverse health events; (4) the foregoing, once revealed, was likely to have a significant negative impact on Celsius' business and reputation; and (5) as a result, defendants' public statements were materially false and misleading at all relevant times. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.

Stellar Gains USDC Payment Corridor as Movantis Targets US–El Salvador Transfers
USDC USD Coin
CoinGecko News
Original source text
TL;DR: Movantis and the Stellar Development Foundation announced on October 29 that Stellar will become a settlement option in the payments company’s multi-rail network. For Stellar watchers, this is the sort of story where day-to-day usage matters more than an abstract partnership total.

Movantis and the Stellar Development Foundation announced on October 29 that Stellar will become a settlement option in the payments company’s multi-rail network. The initial corridor focuses on USDC settlement for transfers originating in the United States and moving toward recipients in El Salvador. Movantis supplies connections to regulated local partners, foreign-exchange conversion where required and last-mile payout services. This is a specific payments integration, not a claim that all of the company’s traffic has shifted to stablecoins or that every customer will be required to use cryptocurrency.

The event and the market response
The distinction between the settlement leg and the customer-facing payout is central. Stablecoins can move value between service providers outside bank opening hours, but recipients generally need usable local money or an account they recognize. Movantis says its platform already handles more than $60 billion annually across more than 200 million transactions and a network of over 90,000 payout locations. Those figures describe the existing business, not volumes on Stellar. The integration is intended to connect a new digital rail with that established distribution footprint.

Why the development matters to the crypto market
For Stellar watchers, this is the sort of story where day-to-day usage matters more than an abstract partnership total. A recognizable payment company is adding USDC settlement to an established corridor, giving analysts a concrete route to monitor. Nonetheless, the volume currently passing over Stellar has not been disclosed. Any projections for XLM based on Movantis’s overall annual transaction figures would be misleading. The real test is whether customers and payment firms see faster, cheaper and more dependable transfers after all offchain steps are included.

A cross-border payment has at least two meanings of speed: how quickly value moves between institutions, and how quickly the recipient can spend it. Stablecoin settlement can improve the first without necessarily solving the second. Real-world payouts require local networks, liquidity, compliance screening and customer support. The strongest payment partnerships join those pieces rather than attempting to replace everything with one blockchain. Readers should look for end-to-end performance data and distinguish existing network size from transaction volume that actually uses a newly announced digital rail.

Large payment systems are built around reliability and accountability. Institutions need proof that a transfer can be traced, reconciled, disputed where appropriate and settled within their regulatory obligations. Programmable assets may create efficiencies, but they also demand carefully designed exception handling when a recipient cannot be paid or a conversion fails. It is not enough for a blockchain transaction to reach finality. A customer judges the complete service. That makes local distribution and operational integration central to the commercial case for stablecoin payments.

What the headline does not establish
A cross-border payment chain remains only as strong as its slowest regulated or operational link. Licensing, source-of-funds checks, exchange rates, transaction screening and the ability to deliver final funds determine whether customers receive the promised experience. Movantis describes further business and consumer corridors as potential extensions, but the confirmed starting point is US-to-El Salvador. The announced capacity of an underlying blockchain says little about actual fees or completion times for a transfer that also crosses traditional payment networks.

What to watch next
The useful next figures are live USDC settlement volumes in the first corridor, end-to-end costs and payout completion rates. Expansion to additional markets would be meaningful once the original route shows repeatable results.

Sonoco: 3 Key Takeaways for Long-Term Investors
SON Sonoco Products Company
FMP Stock News
Original source text
On its third quarter of 2026 earnings call, held on Oct. 22, 2026, Sonoco (SON +2.34%) updated its full-year 2026 financial guidance. For long-term investors, transient weather disruptions to crop yields matter far less than structural cost controls. Management is relying on internal efficiency programs to offset rising raw material expenses.

Three takeaways from the call highlight management's operational priorities.

1. Internal Cost Savings Accelerate to Offset Inflationary HeadwindsTo combat rising input costs, the company relies on its Profitability Performance Plan, a three-year structural cost reduction program known as PPP. The initiative generated $16 million in savings during the third quarter, marking its largest quarterly contribution to date.

The plan delivered $16 million of savings in the third quarter, up from $10 million in the second quarter, $8 million in the first.
-- Paul Joachimczyk, Chief Financial Officer2. Contract Reset Delays Temporarily Lag Industrial Price RealizationHigher costs for old corrugated containers, which are recycled cardboard boxes used as raw material and known as OCC, pushed industrial production costs higher. Contractual lag prevented full price recovery during the quarter, but implemented price increases take full effect in early 2027.

Because of the timing of the most recent increase, we will realize some of the benefit in the fourth quarter with the full impact showing up as we move into 2027.
-- Howard Coker, President and Chief Executive Officer3. Facility Closures and Reorganization Target Structural Margin ImprovementManagement consolidated its global packaging operations into a single consumer packaging unit to streamline operational execution. As part of this consolidation, the business is closing two European facilities to eliminate excess overhead and lower fixed costs.

We are also accelerating footprint optimization by closing 2 sites in Europe, which we will expect to generate $15 million to $20 million of savings in 2027.
-- Paul Joachimczyk, Chief Financial OfficerLooking AheadIndustrial packaging demand remains steady across key end markets, supported by infrastructure spending for wire and cable reels, which are heavy-duty spools used for power cables. High operating rates in uncoated recycled paperboard, a dense paper material used for tubes and cores and known as URB, reflect solid market positioning. Operational execution and cost pass-throughs remain primary focus areas.

In Industrial, we're benefiting from strong URB demand and continued growth in reels.
-- Howard Coker, President and Chief Executive OfficerStructural cost savings and consolidated global operations position the business to rebuild earnings power over time.

Most importantly, we remain confident in our strategy, our market-leading positions and the ability of our team to execute through economic cycles.
