Shiba Inu trades near 2026 lows, falls 13% in one month | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
Shiba Inu, the well-known meme cryptocurrency, is approaching its lowest price levels of 2026 as ongoing selling pressure and weakening sentiment across the cryptocurrency market weigh on the asset’s recent recovery efforts.SHIB price slips beneath key levelOn October 29, SHIB traded close to $0.00000484, recording a daily decline of 2.6% and a drop of 13.4% over the past month. This move pushed Shiba Inu back below the psychologically important $0.000005 threshold, heightening concerns among holders about further downside risk. During October, Shiba Inu failed to regain upward momentum after a short-lived advance toward $0.000006. The token briefly climbed near $0.00000620 before selling pressure reversed its gains, adding to a sequence of unsuccessful rally attempts since September. On October 29, technical indicators showed immediate support around $0.00000485, while resistance formed near $0.00000503. The daily relative strength index (RSI) hovered near 38, suggesting waning investor confidence but not necessarily indicating a definitive bottom for the token. This period marks a contrast to Shiba Inu’s performance in September, when it recovered above $0.0000057. However, after failing to surpass resistance at $0.000006, the token quickly lost momentum in response to a broader market downturn. Time PeriodSHIB PriceMonthly ChangeSeptember 2026$0.0000057Brief recoveryOctober 29, 2026$0.00000484-13.4%Shibarium development and SHIB’s token burnDespite recent price weakness, Shiba Inu’s ecosystem is still advancing. Its Layer 2 network, Shibarium, is built on Ethereum and facilitates decentralized applications, payments, and various token services within the broader Shiba Inu project. Shibarium has achieved certain transaction milestones, which have brought attention to its infrastructure. However, analysts note that higher total transactions do not automatically translate to increased daily usage or higher demand for SHIB tokens. A unique feature of Shibarium is its use of BONE tokens for transaction fees, rather than SHIB itself, which limits the potential direct impact on SHIB’s price from network activity. Earlier in October, SHIB’s burn rate experienced a significant jump, with nearly 298 million tokens removed from circulation in a reported period. However, this increase in burned tokens did not prevent further price declines. Coinpaper documented a sharp 91% decline in the burn rate during September, underlining the volatility and inconsistency of the supply reduction process. With about 589 trillion SHIB currently in circulation, token burns in the hundreds of millions still represent only a tiny fraction of the total supply. Coinpaper reported that, despite periods of high token burns, the price continued to fall as total supply remains overwhelmingly high and daily network demand for SHIB has yet to accelerate. Mini dictionary: Shibarium – Shibarium is Shiba Inu’s Ethereum-based Layer 2 blockchain, designed to improve transaction efficiency and lower costs for decentralized applications and services within the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Outlook: Can SHIB recover or will it break down further? For a bullish recovery, SHIB needs to reclaim the $0.000005 mark and maintain support above that level. A sustained move above $0.00000503 would shift attention towards $0.00000519 and $0.00000535, with the $0.000006 region emerging as a major target if momentum returns. However, SHIB’s current price remains well below levels reached during previous breakout attempts. Market analysts caution that conditions remain fragile, particularly while the broader cryptocurrency environment is subdued. On the bearish side, a drop below $0.00000480 may prompt traders to focus on $0.00000462 and the range between $0.00000410 and $0.00000420, which marked previous support zones during recent 2026 lows. These technical scenarios serve as potential paths for SHIB rather than firm predictions, as price movements will likely depend on shifts in overall crypto market sentiment and demand for the token. Sustained recovery for SHIB will likely require improved market conditions, accelerating network activity, and more substantial reductions in supply before any lasting price rebound can take shape. |

Key Shiba Inu (SHIB) Metric Falls to a 5-Year Low: Good News for the Bulls? | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
One analyst projected a potential price increase of around 85%.The self-proclaimed Dogecoin killer has been in a major decline over the past year, posting an additional 15% plunge in the last 30 days. Investor confidence has taken a hit; trader interest has been steadily falling, yet one bullish signal suggests the tide could soon turn in the bulls’ favor. Finally, Some Good News Shiba Inu currently trades around $0.0000055 and ranks as the 37th-largest cryptocurrency, with a market capitalization of about $2.9 billion. However, the declining number of coins stored on exchanges hints it may soon climb the ladder and regain lost ground. According to CryptoQuant data, the figure recently fell to roughly 86 trillion, the lowest level since April 2021. This is generally interpreted as a bullish signal because it reduces the immediate selling pressure. SHIB Exchange Netflow, Source: CryptoQuant The resurgence of the burning mechanism is also worth noting. The burn rate has exploded by over 635% in the last 24 hours after almost 11 million tokens were sent to a null address. This may seem like a ray of hope, but the USD equivalent of the stash remains insignificant, so the team and community should intensify efforts to make a tangible impact. SHIB Burn Rate, Source: shibburn.com X user Crypto With Gopal claimed SHIB has recently printed a triple-bottom formation on its one-hour chart, with bulls defending the $0.0000047-$0.0000048 zone. In his view, sentiment has turned “cautiously bullish,” with an upside target of $0.0000058 if buyers break above the $0.0000052-$0.0000053 range. Giannis Andreou also recently weighed in. He believes a successful defense of around $0.000004922 could set the stage for a rebound toward $0.000006248, followed by $0.000006687. “The projected route includes pullbacks between advances, gradually rebuilding toward $0.000007796. Clearing that resistance would bring the higher marked level at $0.000009071 into focus,” he added. The Big Bearish Factor Contrary to the bullish elements mentioned above, interest in SHIB and meme coins in general has diminished lately, making a potential recovery challenging. Meanwhile, Shibarium’s activity has also been negligible. Shiba Inu’s layer-2 scaling solution aims to lower transaction fees, improve speed, and strengthen the overall ecosystem, but over the past several months, the protocol has processed far fewer daily transactions, shrinking to just thousands and even hundreds. This suggests user engagement and network demand have weakened considerably, which could further weigh on investor sentiment and limit SHIB’s upside potential. Binance Hot Wallet Hack: CZ Confirms, Says User Funds Safe After $2.5 Billion Outflow | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
Table of contentsBinance co-founder Changpeng Zhao said Thursday that the exchange “was indeed hacked,” confirming what on-chain data had suggested after more than $2.5 billion left the exchange’s hot wallets for a Tornado Cash-funded address. Zhao said user funds are safe and thanked stablecoin issuers for freezing roughly $1.8 billion of the outflow, while Binance itself said it is investigating and has not yet confirmed any loss to customer assets. The first transfer landed at 20:24 UTC on October 29, moving 167,464 ETH — worth roughly $388 million by Etherscan’s valuation — out of the wallet labeled Binance 14, along with 63 other tokens including about $1.6 billion in Tether (USDT). Twenty-four seconds later, a second wallet, Binance 16, sent another 28,005 ETH to the same destination. What the Blockchain ShowsThe on-chain trail carries the hallmarks of a compromise rather than routine housekeeping. The wallet that initiated the transfer was funded only through Tornado Cash, a mixing service, receiving three deposits of roughly 0.1 ETH on October 28 and 29. The receiving address did not exist before Thursday, and within 15 minutes it forwarded 195,460 ETH — around $450 million — to yet another fresh address while holding about $1.5 billion in tokens. Pseudonymous on-chain researcher Spreek flagged the transfer on X: “It COULD be routine wallet maintenance, but it looks extremely sus.” The market alert feed Tree News estimated the total outflow at about $2.53 billion across more than 60 tokens and labeled it a suspected key compromise. CZ Confirms the Hack, Says Funds Are SafeZhao, who stepped back from running Binance but remains a shareholder, broke from the exchange’s cautious tone in a post on X: “User funds are safe! It looks like Binance was indeed hacked.” He thanked Tether and Circle for “the swift freeze of assets of approximately $971 million and $823 million respectively,” and added, “I no longer run Binance, but as a shareholder I expect all user funds to be fully compensated.” The combined freeze — roughly $1.8 billion — would cap a substantial portion of the stolen stablecoin balance before it can be swapped or cashed out, though the attackers’ ETH and other non-stablecoin holdings remain outside the reach of issuers. Binance’s Official ResponseBinance’s own statement was more measured. “We are aware of reports of a possible security issue with Binance. Our teams are actively investigating,” the exchange wrote. “At this time we have not confirmed that user funds have been affected.” It said security teams are “urgently reviewing all available information” and promised updates through official channels, while warning users against scammers exploiting the situation. The gap between Zhao’s confirmation and Binance’s hedging reflects the difference between a shareholder’s public read and a company speaking for itself. Until Binance issues its own confirmation, the exchange’s position remains that it has not verified a loss. Markets Sold First and Asked Questions LaterThe derivatives market reacted before any official word. Bitcoin fell below $79,000 and Ethereum under $2,240 in the minutes after the first transfer, and total crypto liquidations reached $627.7 million in a single hour, according to Coinglass — $606.6 million of it against long positions, with Binance itself carrying $344.8 million of the total. That sell-off was traders pricing a worst case before facts were established. Zhao’s subsequent assurance of user-fund safety may ease the panic, but the confirmation of a breach — however contained — is a separate signal for the broader market. A Hard Year for Exchange SecurityThe incident lands on an already damaging stretch for centralized exchanges. In September, attackers took roughly $388 million from Bitget through a third-party security product, and the February 2025 Bybit exploit remains the largest exchange hack on record at roughly $1.5 billion, attributed by the FBI to North Korean actors. Security firm Hacken counted $1.18 billion in crypto hacking losses in the third quarter — up 55% from the prior quarter — with 77% of the damage tied to supply-chain blind spots: third-party vendors and systems outside the scope of audits. If the full Binance outflow is confirmed as stolen, it would rank among the largest single exchange losses ever recorded. What Comes NextThe next material updates are Binance’s own confirmation, the fate of the frozen stablecoins, and whether the exchange’s SAFU emergency fund is drawn down. Zhao’s expectation of full compensation signals where the exchange is likely to land, but the mechanics — how much is recovered, how quickly, and what Binance discloses about the entry point — remain open. First BanCorp.: 3 Key Takeaways for Long-Term Investors | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
On its third-quarter 2026 earnings call, held on Oct. 22, 2026, First BanCorp. (FBP +0.07%) announced a 25% dividend increase and a $350 million share repurchase authorization. Steady earnings generation gives the bank room to return capital to shareholders while protecting its balance sheet against higher funding costs. Three takeaways from management's remarks show how the business navigates changing interest rates.1. Massive Stock Buybacks and Dividend Hikes Put Capital FirstCapital generation remains a key strength for the bank, enabling $80 million in shareholder returns during the third quarter. With a CET1 ratio, a measure of core bank solvency, standing at 16.9%, management has ample room to return cash directly to owners. As we disclosed yesterday in a separate press release, we are very pleased that our board approved a 25% increase on our quarterly common dividend and a $350 million stock buyback authorization. -- Aurelio Alemán, President and Chief Executive Officer2. Investment Portfolio Repricing Protects Profitability From Funding CostsRising deposit competition continues to push borrowing costs higher across the banking sector. The bank defends its profit margins by rolling mature, low-yielding securities into fresh, higher-yielding investments as loans reprice. We expect continued deposit competition and loan pricing dynamics to remain headwinds while our investment portfolio repricing opportunity, which for the fourth quarter are approximately $252 million at an average yield of 2.23%... should provide support if rates continue to move higher as expected. -- Said Ortiz, Chief Financial Officer3. Commercial Lending Expansion Drives Overall Portfolio GrowthManagement intentionally shifted lending focus away from shrinking consumer loan demand and toward commercial projects. Real estate development, corporate acquisitions, and business expansions increased total loan balances despite higher borrowing costs. Loan growth was broad-based across our market, but particularly within the commercial segment, with total loans increasing at a 3.3% annualized linked quarter rate. Consumer loans actually declined a bit as we have forecasted. -- Aurelio Alemán, President and Chief Executive OfficerLooking AheadReconstruction work and low unemployment in Puerto Rico keep commercial activity moving forward. A low non-performing asset ratio, which measures the portion of loans near default, gives management confidence to expand market share carefully. As we move to the final quarter, priorities remain clear. Selective grow market share, maintain strong profitability, drive operating leverage, and continue enhancing the customer experience through technology and AI. -- Aurelio Alemán, President and Chief Executive OfficerInvestments in digital banking tools and disciplined credit underwriting position the franchise to generate resilient returns over the long haul. The combination of these achievements, the asset quality, significant excess capital, position us well to continue executing on our priorities, creating long-term value for our shareholders. -- Aurelio Alemán, President and Chief Executive OfficerThe Motley Fool has no position in any of the stocks mentioned. WHY ROSEN LAW: We encourage investors to select qualified counsel with a track record of success in leadership roles. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages. Appian in talks with EBRD, others, on critical minerals funds | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
SummaryCompaniesPrivate equity, government partnerships on minerals projects growAppian signed $1 billion deal with IFC last year for mining fundAppian, IFC deal is a blueprint for more to come - executiveSYDNEY, Oct 30 (Reuters) - Appian Capital Advisory, a London-based private equity firm, is in talks with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and others for funds to invest in critical minerals projects, an executive at the firm told Reuters.Discussions around a potential transaction were confirmed by an EBRD spokesperson on Thursday, and while the scale of investment under consideration was not stated, the potential transaction comes in the wake of Appian's $1 billion joint fund with the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The Reuters Daily Briefing newsletter provides all the news you need to start your day. Sign up here. Appian's link with the IFC has acted as a blueprint for more deals to come, said Paulo Castellari, Appian's CEO for critical minerals. Western countries are racing to diversify their supply chains for the metals that are vital to industries ranging from automotive to defence after Beijing rattled global markets last year when it imposed export curbs on permanent magnets and exposed their reliance on a single source. Governments, sovereign wealth and development bodies are allocating billions of dollars to the sector and increasingly tapping specialist private equity firms like Appian to help them effectively direct capital. Appian's relationship with the IFC has helped it to establish connections with other European institutions and development agencies, Castellari said. "We have been getting really good momentum in Europe," he said. "We announced the partnership with the IFC a year ago. But it's something that has been in the making for many years. So likewise other partnerships will take time," he said on the sidelines of the IMARC mining conference in Sydney. Because Appian has built 14 mine projects over the last five years, it has shown that it can build them on time, at cost, safely and responsibly, he said, and that track record has opened the door to new partnerships. Appian plans to deploy $5 billion to $7 billion globally over the next 12 to 24 months, with roughly $2 billion for Africa, though policy uncertainty is pushing investment toward Latin America, CEO Michael Scherb said earlier this week. "We can confirm that discussions with Appian are ongoing. We do not comment on potential transactions before they are concluded," a spokesperson for the EBRD told Reuters. Appian will also look at investing further downstream into processing assets, Castellari said. Processing has proven to be a greater chokepoint for some types of critical minerals like rare-earth magnets, a point that was raised by France's top critical minerals trade official in Sydney earlier this week. "The beauty with critical minerals is that on average the ticket size is smaller," so more projects can be funded, said Castellari, who previously served as CEO of France's Eramet (ERMT.PA), opens new tab. Merit Medical Systems Q3 Earnings Call Highlights | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
Merit Medical Systems NASDAQ: MMSI reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $416 million, up 8% year over year on both a GAAP and constant-currency basis, as organic constant-currency growth reached 9% and exceeded management’s prior expectations.President and Chief Executive Officer Martha Aronson said growth was supported by better-than-expected demand across the company’s primary product categories. Foundational-product sales posted 8% organic growth, while therapeutic-product sales grew 11% organically. U.S. revenue increased 11%, or $25.9 million, while international sales rose 3%, or $5.1 million. Get Merit Medical Systems alerts: “The growth is really balanced,” Aronson said during the company’s earnings call, citing contributions across multiple platforms. Chief Financial Officer Raul Parra said foundational growth was led by vascular intervention, access and OEM businesses, while therapeutic growth was driven primarily by oncology, endoscopy and OEM, with additional contributions from vascular intervention and cardiac therapies. Profitability Improves Despite Gross-Margin Pressure Merit reported non-GAAP operating income of $88.5 million, up 17% from the prior-year period. Non-GAAP operating margin expanded 160 basis points to 21.3%, while non-GAAP diluted earnings per share increased 22% to $1.12, exceeding the high end of the company’s guidance by $0.04. The company generated nearly $53 million of free cash flow during the quarter. At Sept. 30, Merit had $505.8 million in cash equivalents and restricted cash, $747.5 million in total debt obligations, and approximately $697 million in available borrowing capacity. Its adjusted net leverage ratio was 1.5 times. Gross margin declined 81 basis points year over year to 52.8%. Parra attributed the decline mainly to manufacturing variances and higher freight and distribution costs. He said approximately 80 basis points of pressure came from manufacturing variances, largely related to raw materials and platinum, while a bonus accrual adjustment reduced gross margin by roughly 40 basis points and freight added another 25 basis points of pressure. Merit has validated an alternative to platinum for the affected product and is ramping that alternative, Parra said. The company maintained its estimate for approximately $16 million in incremental tariff impact during 2026, though Parra said tariffs were not a significant contributor to the third-quarter gross-margin decline. Merit expects an additional roughly $1.3 million in tariff refunds, although it does not expect to receive those funds until early 2027. 2026 Outlook Raised Following the third-quarter performance, Merit raised its full-year non-GAAP EPS outlook to a range of $4.33 to $4.37, from prior guidance of $4.25 to $4.35. The updated range implies year-over-year EPS growth of 13% to 14%. Total 2026 GAAP revenue growth is expected to be 7.9% to 8.4%. Constant-currency revenue growth is expected to be 7% to 7.5%. Organic constant-currency growth is expected to be 7.1% to 7.6%. Non-GAAP operating margin is projected at 21.2% to 21.4%. Fourth-quarter revenue is expected to range from $418 million to $426 million, with organic constant-currency growth of 7% to 8%. Management maintained its assumption for approximately $7 million of 2026 U.S. revenue from WRAPSODY CIE, its renal-therapy product. Aronson said the technology continues to perform well clinically and has generated positive feedback from physicians, though the company is facing what she characterized as expected competitive responses in the market. Parra said the company’s outlook included a modest reduction of about $4 million to its second-half China expectations. Management said China remains a challenging market due to volume-based procurement, pressure favoring local products, and increased scrutiny of physician education and other industry activity. Excluding China, international organic growth was 6% in the third quarter, according to Parra. Portfolio Additions and Strategic Planning Merit announced it acquired the remaining equity in Solo Pace for approximately $45 million on Oct. 13. The company had previously held an 18% ownership stake and served as exclusive distributor for Solo Pace’s temporary pacing systems. The acquisition adds the Solo Pace Control and Solo Pace Fusion systems to Merit’s Cardiac Therapies platform. The products are designed for transcatheter aortic valve replacement and other transcatheter heart-valve procedures. Aronson said the transaction is immaterial to 2026 results and is expected to be slightly accretive to non-GAAP net income and EPS in 2027. Aronson said Merit will continue to pursue tuck-in acquisitions while evaluating each platform’s technology gaps and deciding whether products should be developed internally or acquired. She noted that Merit has used minority investments as a way to follow technologies before deciding whether to acquire them, citing both Solo Pace and View Point Medical as examples. The integration of View Point Medical, which added the OneMark breast lesion-marking technology, is progressing, according to management. Merit is targeting new accounts rather than existing SCOUT customers initially while also rolling out its next-generation SCOUT MD system. Aronson said the OneMark integration has encountered some delays and complexity but that the company remains positive on the long-term opportunity. Merit is also nearing completion of its strategic plan for 2027 through 2029 and plans to host an investor event at its Salt Lake City headquarters on Feb. 11, 2027. Management expects to provide new three-year financial targets at that event. For the three-year period ending in 2026, the company continues to target organic constant-currency revenue growth of 5% to 7%, non-GAAP operating margin of 20% to 22%, and more than $400 million in cumulative free cash flow. |
Original source text
New York, New York--(Newsfile Corp. - October 29, 2026) - Kaplan Fox & Kilsheimer LLP announces that a class action lawsuit has been filed against The Chemours Company ("Chemours" or the "Company") (NYSE: CC) on behalf of investors that purchased or otherwise acquired Chemours securities between February 20, 2026 and August 4, 2026 (the "Class Period").CLICK HERE TO JOIN THE CASE If you are an investor in Chemours and have suffered losses, you may CLICK HERE to contact us. According to the complaint, on August 4, 2026, after market, Chemours announced second quarter 2026 financial results. Among other things, the Company allegedly reduced its adjusted EBITDA full-year guidance to $775 million to $825 million (from $800 million to $900 million previously). Further, in the accompanying earnings call, management allegedly admitted that "[a]s a result of the initial channel fill, aftermarket customers built additional inventory, creating an oversupplied channel heading into 2026." Valero: 3 Key Takeaways for Long-Term Investors | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
On its third quarter of 2026 earnings call, held on Oct. 22, 2026, Valero (VLO -1.01%) reported net income attributable to stockholders of $6.8 billion as refineries operated near record utilization rates. The company's access to discounted crude feedstocks and strategic Gulf Coast footprint generate cash flow across volatile market cycles.Three key takeaways from management's comments stand out for long-term investors. 1. High Freight Costs Dislocate Global Markets and Advantage Gulf Coast RefinersGlobal shipping bottlenecks pushed tanker rates higher, creating wide price discounts for heavy crude oil. Valero's Gulf Coast facilities benefit directly because domestic and imported heavy barrels must price aggressively to compete, lowering feedstock costs for its refineries. Since this crude must price to export, the sharp run up in freight costs have forced the discounts to widen all grades giving the US Gulf Coast some of the cheapest crude costs in the world, especially on the heavy sour. -- Randy Hawkins, Unidentified Speaker2. Substantial Cash Balance Preserves Flexibility for Shareholder ReturnsThe business accumulated $9.8 billion in cash and cash equivalents to buffer against commodity price swings and potential working capital draws. Management plans to direct capital above its long-term target back to owners through dividends and share repurchases, which are stock buybacks that reduce outstanding shares. In short, we do not have a lot of other uses of cash. So while the volatility is probably not behind us at this point, we are in a good position to be even more aggressive with shareholder returns... -- Harminder Bhullar, Senior Vice President and CFO3. Targeted Refining Investments Deliver Outsized Financial PerformanceDisciplined expansion projects enhance product yield efficiency across the refining network. The $230 million fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) unit optimization project at St. Charles, a refinery process converting heavy oil into gasoline, exceeded forecasts for earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA), a key operational earnings metric. The project came online, and despite the fact that it was not fully operational, during the third quarter, The EBITDA generated in the third quarter actually exceeded our forecast for the project. -- Gary Simmons, Executive Vice President and COOLooking AheadRefining margins remain supported by low global product inventories and constrained processing capacity, allowing high asset utilization across the footprint. Refining fundamentals remain favorable supported by low product inventories, limited excess refining capacity, and continued demand for transportation fuels. -- Lane Riggs, Chairman, CEO and PresidentLow-cost regional feedstock access and strict capital allocation underpin future value creation. Management evaluates growth opportunities through rigorous return hurdles while returning surplus cash flow to owners. We continue to evaluate additional strategic opportunities to further strengthen the competitiveness and long term value of our refining system. -- Lane Riggs, Chairman, CEO and PresidentThe Motley Fool has no position in any of the stocks mentioned. |
Original source text
Alliant Energy (LNT - Free Report) came out with quarterly earnings of $1.52 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.23 per share. This compares to earnings of $1.12 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items. This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of +23.58%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this electric and gas utility parent company would post earnings of $0.66 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.65, delivering a surprise of -1.52%. Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times. Alliant Energy, which belongs to the Zacks Utility - Electric Power industry, posted revenues of $1.29 billion for the quarter ended September 2026, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 6.30%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $1.21 billion. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates three times over the last four quarters. The sustainability of the stock's immediate price movement based on the recently-released numbers and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's commentary on the earnings call. Alliant Energy shares have added about 6.7% since the beginning of the year versus the S&P 500's gain of 13.1%. What's Next for Alliant Energy? While Alliant Energy has underperformed the market so far this year, the question that comes to investors' minds is: what's next for the stock? There are no easy answers to this key question, but one reliable measure that can help investors address this is the company's earnings outlook. Not only does this include current consensus earnings expectations for the coming quarter(s), but also how these expectations have changed lately. Empirical research shows a strong correlation between near-term stock movements and trends in earnings estimate revisions. Investors can track such revisions by themselves or rely on a tried-and-tested rating tool like the Zacks Rank, which has an impressive track record of harnessing the power of earnings estimate revisions. Ahead of this earnings release, the estimate revisions trend for Alliant Energy was mixed. While the magnitude and direction of estimate revisions could change following the company's just-released earnings report, the current status translates into a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) for the stock. So, the shares are expected to perform in line with the market in the near future. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here. It will be interesting to see how estimates for the coming quarters and the current fiscal year change in the days ahead. The current consensus EPS estimate is $0.73 on $1.1 billion in revenues for the coming quarter and $3.43 on $4.55 billion in revenues for the current fiscal year. Investors should be mindful of the fact that the outlook for the industry can have a material impact on the performance of the stock as well. In terms of the Zacks Industry Rank, Utility - Electric Power is currently in the top 38% of the 250 plus Zacks industries. Our research shows that the top 50% of the Zacks-ranked industries outperform the bottom 50% by a factor of more than 2 to 1. DTE Energy (DTE - Free Report) , another stock in the same industry, has yet to report results for the quarter ended September 2026. The results are expected to be released on November 5. This utility is expected to post quarterly earnings of $2.22 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of -1.3%. The consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 8.8% higher over the last 30 days to the current level. Silver Price Forecast: XAG/USD slumps to fresh low since November, near $51.00 | FMP Forex News
|
Original source text
Silver (XAG/USD) extends its descending trend for the third straight day, hitting a fresh low since November 2025 during the Asian session on Friday. The white metal, however, recovers slightly from the $51.00 neighborhood and currently trades near the $51.50-$51.55 region, still down around 1.25% for the day. From a technical perspective, the decline witnessed over the past month or so has been along a downward parallel channel, which points to a well-established bearish trend. Moreover, momentum indicators hint that sellers have the upper hand despite the risk of short-term corrective bounces amid overstretched conditions. In fact, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 27.21 sits in oversold territory, and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) remains negative. Hence, any attempted recovery back above the $52.00 mark is likely to attract fresh sellers near the $52.50-$52.55 region, which, in turn, should cap the XAG/USD near $53.00. A sustained strength beyond the latter could prompt some follow-through short-covering move, which should allow the white metal to surpass $54.00 and test the channel top near $54.52. This is followed by the 50-period SMA at $54.76. The XAG/USD would need to reclaim that to open the door to a more sustained recovery. On the downside, a break below $51.00 would make the commodity vulnerable to accelerating the fall towards the $50.00 psychological mark and expose the lower boundary of the channel at $49.07, which forms a more meaningful floor. A sustained break beneath should pave the way toward deeper downside levels. (The technical analysis of this story was written with the help of an AI tool. Know more.) XAG/USD 4-hour chart Silver FAQs Silver is a precious metal highly traded among investors. It has been historically used as a store of value and a medium of exchange. Although less popular than Gold, traders may turn to Silver to diversify their investment portfolio, for its intrinsic value or as a potential hedge during high-inflation periods. Investors can buy physical Silver, in coins or in bars, or trade it through vehicles such as Exchange Traded Funds, which track its price on international markets. Silver prices can move due to a wide range of factors. Geopolitical instability or fears of a deep recession can make Silver price escalate due to its safe-haven status, although to a lesser extent than Gold's. As a yieldless asset, Silver tends to rise with lower interest rates. Its moves also depend on how the US Dollar (USD) behaves as the asset is priced in dollars (XAG/USD). A strong Dollar tends to keep the price of Silver at bay, whereas a weaker Dollar is likely to propel prices up. Other factors such as investment demand, mining supply – Silver is much more abundant than Gold – and recycling rates can also affect prices. Silver is widely used in industry, particularly in sectors such as electronics or solar energy, as it has one of the highest electric conductivity of all metals – more than Copper and Gold. A surge in demand can increase prices, while a decline tends to lower them. Dynamics in the US, Chinese and Indian economies can also contribute to price swings: for the US and particularly China, their big industrial sectors use Silver in various processes; in India, consumers’ demand for the precious metal for jewellery also plays a key role in setting prices. Silver prices tend to follow Gold's moves. When Gold prices rise, Silver typically follows suit, as their status as safe-haven assets is similar. The Gold/Silver ratio, which shows the number of ounces of Silver needed to equal the value of one ounce of Gold, may help to determine the relative valuation between both metals. Some investors may consider a high ratio as an indicator that Silver is undervalued, or Gold is overvalued. On the contrary, a low ratio might suggest that Gold is undervalued relative to Silver. |

DoorDash: 3 Key Takeaways for Long-Term Investors | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
On its third-quarter 2026 earnings call, held on Oct. 29, 2026, DoorDash (DASH +5.61%) announced a pending acquisition of online grocery platform Instacart (CART -2.24%). The proposed deal signals an aggressive expansion beyond restaurant delivery into grocery fulfillment. Scaling order volume across both platforms is intended to increase last-mile delivery density. Three things management said stand out.Combining two massive delivery networks creates immediate top-line cross-selling opportunities and long-term operating efficiencies. Management plans to funnel early savings directly into product enhancements rather than near-term margin expansion. The key for us, however, is how do you take some of the profit dollars and reinvest that back in the business to ultimately build a better product for consumers as well as grocers. -- Ravi Inukonda, Chief Financial Officer2. Core Restaurant Marketplace Growth Is Accelerating Through Platform UpgradesGrowth in the flagship restaurant marketplace is driven by an expanding selection and rising engagement with DashPass, the company's monthly membership program. Rather than slowing on larger comparisons, quarterly order momentum reached a multiyear high. In fact, when you look at the sequential growth rate in Q3, it's the fastest we've seen in the last 5-plus years. -- Ravi Inukonda, Chief Financial Officer3. Direct Inventory Control Solves Last-Mile Quality Issues in Grocery DeliveryFulfilling orders through DashMarts, the company's proprietary micro-warehouses, eliminates retail stockouts and produces superior order accuracy compared to third-party merchant locations. Controlling inventory gives DoorDash a distinct reliability advantage as delivery outside restaurants scales. As part of that journey, we recognized that in order to offer the best possible service at the most affordable prices, we really needed to manage the inventory because stockouts were a key issue. -- Tony Xu, Co-Founder, Chair and Chief Executive OfficerLooking AheadCore restaurant ordering and international delivery continue to accelerate across major markets. Continuous upgrades in platform selection are expanding user engagement. Overall paid subscribers continue to set all-time records. -- Ravi Inukonda, Chief Financial OfficerTo lock in structural cost advantages, DoorDash is expanding its merchant tools and local warehouse network while maintaining strict pricing discipline across all fulfillment channels. That's about merchant software. That's about building new fulfillment models, so some of the warehousing that you're discussing. And of course, it's always about making sure that we have the highest quality and most affordable logistics network. -- Tony Xu, Co-Founder, Chair and Chief Executive OfficerThe Motley Fool has positions in and recommends DoorDash. Dutch Bros vs. Monster Beverage: Which Stock Is the Better Buy? | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
High-growth coffee meets the established energy drink kingpin. As consumer habits shift toward portable energy, deciding between Dutch Bros (BROS +2.45%) and Monster Beverage (MNST +1.51%) requires weighing aggressive expansion against steady profitability.Dutch Bros is a fast-growing drive-thru chain focusing on customer culture and specialty beverages. Monster Beverage is a global leader in the energy drink category with high net margins and a deep partnership with bottling giants. Both companies cater to the high-demand beverage market but offer different risk profiles for investors. The case for Dutch BrosDutch Bros operates a drive-thru beverage chain serving handcrafted drinks, including specialty coffee, Rebel energy drinks, tea, and lemonade. As a prominent player in the consumer discretionary sector, the company emphasizes speed and a unique corporate culture to attract younger demographics. The business model relies on a mix of company-operated shops and franchised locations, with a strategy currently focused on rapid unit growth across the United States. Its recent acquisition of Clutch Coffee demonstrates an intent to accelerate this expansion by converting existing locations into its own brand. In FY 2025, revenue reached nearly $1.6 billion, representing growth of approximately 27.9% over the prior year. The company reported net income of roughly $79.8 million for the period, which is a significant increase from the roughly $35.3 million earned in FY 2024. $43.98+$1.05 (+2.45%) NYSE · As of 4:00 PM ET 10/29/26 The case for Monster BeverageMonster Beverage develops and markets energy drinks under several popular brands, including its flagship Monster Energy, Reign, and Bang. The company primarily sells its products to full-service beverage bottlers and distributors, maintaining a deep commercial relationship with Coca-Cola (KO +1.19%). This partnership provides Monster Beverage with a massive global distribution network, helping it reach customers across the globe. By outsourcing the capital-intensive bottling process to partners, the company maintains a lean business model that focuses on brand development and marketing. In FY 2025, revenue reached nearly $8.3 billion, representing growth of approximately 10.7% compared to the previous year. Monster Beverage also reported net income of roughly $1.9 billion, resulting in a robust net margin of approximately 23%. The company has historically maintained high profitability levels, which is a key differentiator in the beverage industry. MNST Monster Beverage$46.35+$0.69 (+1.51%) NASDAQ · As of 4:00 PM ET 10/29/26 Risk profile comparisonDutch Bros faces intense competition from established coffee chains like Starbucks (SBUX +2.24%), along with quick-service restaurants and convenience stores. The company's aggressive expansion strategy carries execution risks, including potential labor shortages, rising material costs, and regulatory delays in new markets. Because its operations are heavily concentrated in the Western United States, it is also sensitive to regional economic shifts or weather disruptions. Monster Beverage is highly dependent on its distribution relationship with Coca-Cola, which limits its alternative options if that partnership were to change. The company also faces stiff competition from rivals such as Celsius Holdings (CELH +0.64%) and PepsiCo (PEP +0.88%) in a crowded energy drink market. Regulatory scrutiny regarding caffeine content and ingredient safety remains a constant headwind for the industry. Furthermore, its expansion into the alcohol sector through acquisitions involves complex new regulations and integration risks that differ from its core non-alcoholic energy drink business. Valuation comparisonDutch Bros carries a higher earnings multiple reflecting its rapid growth, whereas Monster Beverage trades at a higher sales multiple due to its superior net margin profile. MetricDutch BrosMonster BeverageForward P/E42.44x34.8xP/S ratio2.8x9.7xWhich stock would I buy today? This is a difficult battle because I like both companies. Dutch Bros has plenty of expansion opportunities, as it is in fewer than 30 states. Monster has a more established presence throughout the United States, so it is finding new revenue opportunities abroad. Each company also faces intense competition within its respective industry, and there's some direct competition as well, as Dutch Bros leans into offering its own energy drinks. Between the two, if I had to pick, I would still rather own Monster. It gains an edge because of that more established brand mentioned earlier, as Dutch Bros is still in the process of building its following. Also, as evidenced by the sales opportunities, Monster is currently generating noticeably more revenue, with $8.1 billion in sales in 2025 compared to the $1.6 billion Dutch Bros recorded. Monster also has a stronger track record potential investors can look to, as Dutch Bros only went public in 2021. Also, thus far in 2026, Monster's stock price returns of 19% is outperforming the 13.1% gains from the S&P 500, while Dutch Bros is massively underperforming, with its stock down nearly 30%. Dutch Bros can get things back on track if it eases investors' concerns about its expansion plans, but in the meantime, the stock could continue to struggle. That's why, heading into 2027, I would rather own Monster over Dutch Bros, as Monster is on solid ground while Dutch Bros is still trying to find its footing. |

XDC Network Hosts Unsupervised Build Day in Abu Dhabi as AI Agents Spend Over $1,000 in USDC | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
At XDC Network's Unsupervised build day at Hub71 in Abu Dhabi, AI agents paid merchants and each other in USDC, moving more than $1,000 with network fees covered.AI agents bought coffee and merchandise from real merchants in Abu Dhabi without a card or checkout, as part of a build day hosted by @XDCNetwork that tested autonomous payments using the $USDC stablecoin. The event, called "Unsupervised," took place at Hub71, Abu Dhabi's tech ecosystem, in partnership with the Middle East Stablecoin Association (MESA). Khaleej Times reported that more than 200 developers, founders and technology enthusiasts took part, and that agent-driven transactions exceeded $1,000 by the end of the day. How the Agent Payments WorkedAttendees set up agent wallets on @XDC_SI, XDC Network's AI payments platform, and received $USDC credits to spend. According to a press release published by Zawya, participants built their agents using Replit and linked them to XDC AI, a marketplace where agents can pay for goods and services. Each agent had its own digital wallet, and every payment was recorded on XDC Network. The agents spent the credits on coffee and merchandise from real merchants, and on services offered by other agents. A relayer paid the network fees, so the agents only handled USDC and did not need to hold the network's native token. The press release said XDC Network covered all transaction fees so agents could pay without holding any other tokens. It also described the total as significant given that each payment cost a fraction of a cent. Jeremy Noori, Head of Structured Products at XDC Network, said in the release that agents could already search, compare and recommend, but had not been able to pay. He said the event closed that gap. Regulation and Oversight in FocusThe event also included discussion of how to supervise machine-led payments. Khaleej Times reported that a panel with representatives from XDC Network and MESA examined how banks, stablecoin issuers and regulators could oversee agent-to-agent payments while keeping appropriate safeguards in place. The opening panel, titled "Agents that pay," included Dr. Bhaskar Dasgupta, Chairman and Founder of MESA, and Ramy Soliman, MESA Co-chair, alongside XDC Network executives, according to the release. The venue was also relevant. Khaleej Times noted that Hub71 operates within Abu Dhabi Global Market, a financial centre that has positioned itself as a regional hub for digital asset activity through its regulatory framework. The test was small in value and run with credits rather than attendees' own funds, so it is a demonstration rather than evidence of commercial scale. It does show how stablecoin payments, fee sponsorship and agent marketplaces can be combined so that software can pay for goods and services with limited human input. Monolithic Power Systems Q3 Earnings Call Highlights | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
Monolithic Power Systems: AI Stock Beat, Raised and Upgraded Post-EarningsMonolithic Power Systems NASDAQ: MPWR reported third-quarter revenue of $1.2 billion, surpassing $1 billion in quarterly sales for the first time as demand expanded across enterprise data, communications, automotive and industrial applications.Revenue rose 22% from the second quarter of 2026 and 63% from the prior-year period, according to VP and CFO Tony Balow. The company said its production capacity exceeded $6 billion of annual revenue support during the quarter and is expected to reach $8 billion in the second half of 2027, with a longer-term objective of $10 billion. Get MPWR alerts: Monolithic Power Systems Is Surging—Has Valuation Caught Up?“Overall, we see accelerated growth,” Balow said. “Our diversified growth strategy is paying off.” Enterprise Data Growth Remains Central Enterprise data continued to be the company’s largest growth driver. Balow raised the company’s floor for year-over-year enterprise-data growth to 150%, compared with a previous floor of 130%, citing third-quarter results and expectations for the fourth quarter. Insiders Are Selling These 3 Stocks—Here’s WhyBalow said MPS has seen demand from existing customers while also broadening its customer base, including through internally developed artificial-intelligence design tools. The company has also expanded into desktop AI designs and a longer tail of smaller customers that could develop into larger accounts over time. Management said the enterprise-data opportunity is not dependent on a near-term transition to 800-volt architectures. Balow said the company’s confidence is instead based on its current customer base, new customer additions, increasing adoption of modules and content gains as new platforms are introduced. Chairman, President and CEO Michael Hsing said rising power requirements in GPUs have reinforced the case for vertical power delivery and modules. He said that, as power increases, available perimeter space becomes constrained, making vertical designs more practical. The company is sampling gallium nitride-based solutions for 800-volt data-center architectures alongside its silicon-carbide offerings. Hsing said customers can select either technology, though MPS is taking a cautious approach toward GaN reliability. Balow said the company continues to expect 800-volt architecture ramps to begin late in 2027, with more meaningful activity in 2028. Communications, Memory and New Product Areas Communications was another major contributor to growth, fueled by optical modules and the company’s switch business. Balow said the combination of those two drivers became more apparent in the third quarter, and he expects communications to be MPS’s second-fastest-growing end market for the year, behind enterprise data. Looking into 2027, MPS expects optical-module growth to benefit from the transition to 1.6 technology, which management said offers both volume and content gains. The company also expects continued expansion of sockets in switching applications. In storage and compute, Balow said DDR5 power-management integrated circuits have been the primary growth driver, while hard-disk-drive and solid-state-drive products have also posted healthy growth over the past year. Notebook demand has been weaker in the near term because of downstream memory constraints, he said, but management remains constructive on the longer-term notebook opportunity. Hsing said MPS is adding clock drivers and registered clock driver products alongside its power-management portfolio. He said these products are expected to contribute revenue in 2027 or 2028 and address a market larger than power management alone. The company also disclosed its first large high-speed data-converter design win, which management expects to begin ramping next year. Balow said the win is not expected to materially affect 2026 results, with more information to come as the ramp develops. Automotive, Robotics and Building Automation In automotive, MPS received its first orders for 48-volt power solutions and expects design wins involving 48-volt and zonal architectures to support growth in 2027. Balow said automotive demand has been diverse across customers and geographies, including the U.S., Europe, Asia and China. The company also began ramping robotic solutions using sensor and motor-control products in multiple regions. Hsing said robotics remains at an early stage but could become a larger opportunity as AI-based vision and recognition technologies improve. Balow said third-quarter industrial growth was broad-based, while 2026 remains focused on accumulating design wins in robotics and other applications that can support future revenue. Hsing also discussed MPS’s building-automation ambitions, which he previously characterized as a potential $40 billion to $50 billion market. The company has begun installing technologies at a 1 million-square-foot building in China, including work involving 800-volt power supplies and buildingwide applications. He said the opportunity will require substantial software development and will take time to develop commercially. Capacity, Margins and Capital Allocation MPS repurchased more than $450 million of its stock during the third quarter. Management said its fabless operating model gives it flexibility to add manufacturing capacity without requiring a substantial increase in capital intensity. Balow said the company intends to keep capacity ahead of demand rather than use capacity milestones as specific revenue guidance. He added that channel inventory remains near the lean end of MPS’s normal five-to-eight-week range, while internal inventory is not limiting sales. On profitability, Balow said gross margin increased by 10 basis points in the third quarter, while the midpoint of fourth-quarter guidance implied another 10-basis-point increase. He reiterated MPS’s 55% to 60% gross-margin range and said the company intends to expand margins gradually rather than make sharp changes from quarter to quarter. Management said it is absorbing part of rising costs while sharing some increases with customers. Balow said pricing has not been a significant contributor to recent revenue growth and that the company’s focus is on protecting gross margins rather than using pricing to drive sales growth. What SPS Commerce (SPSC) Said on Its Q3 Earnings Call | FMP Stock News
|

Small-cap surge: Outpacing large caps on hopes for '24 rate cutsSPS Commerce NASDAQ: SPSC reported third-quarter 2026 revenue growth of 4% as the company expanded profitability and highlighted growing use of its AI-driven supply-chain tools, while Amazon policy changes and the divestiture of a revenue-recovery business weighed on reported growth.Revenue for the quarter totaled $197.6 million, up 4% from the prior-year period, with recurring revenue also increasing 4%, Chief Financial Officer Joe Del Preto said. The company said the June 30 divestiture of its third-party Revenue Recovery business and the performance of its first-party Amazon take-rate business together reduced reported revenue growth by 500 basis points. Get SPS Commerce alerts: Adjusted EBITDA rose 17% year over year to $70.9 million, or 36% of revenue, exceeding the company’s long-term 35% margin target. Adjusted gross margin improved 170 basis points to 73%, excluding stock-based compensation. SPS ended the quarter with $184 million in cash equivalents and short-term investments and generated $58.5 million in free cash flow. Amazon changes weigh on Revenue Recovery Del Preto said Amazon policy changes and a faster-than-expected shift of certain customers from take-rate contracts to subscriptions accounted for all of the reduction in SPS Commerce’s revenue outlook. Without those factors, he said, the company would have raised its full-year revenue guidance. Under the take-rate model, SPS recognizes revenue as a percentage of funds successfully recovered for Amazon suppliers. Del Preto said recent Amazon policy changes reduced recovery yields for the company’s first-party take-rate customers. Chief Executive Officer Chad Collins said the changes involved circumstances in which suppliers make short shipments to Amazon, as well as processes governing the company’s ability to resubmit certain disputes. Management said the majority of the impact came from Amazon policy changes, rather than from customers converting to subscriptions. Still, Collins said the company views subscription conversions positively over the long term, particularly as SPS adds features intended to help customers prevent chargebacks rather than only recover funds after the fact. “If you exclude the Amazon take rate portion, Revenue Recovery is the fastest-growing portion of our overall business,” Collins said. He added that take-rate pricing remains common in the Amazon Revenue Recovery market and can be important in winning enterprise customers, even as SPS leads its go-to-market strategy with subscriptions. AI tools and onboarding initiatives Collins emphasized the company’s agentic AI strategy, centered on its MAX offering, which is now available to all Fulfillment customers. MAX uses SPS network data, trading-partner activity and retailer-specific compliance rules to identify supply-chain anomalies and guide users through workflows, according to the company. SPS cited several customer examples to illustrate the potential financial impact of the platform. Sporting-equipment supplier RIP-IT Sports saved $200,000 in its first week using MAX after the system flagged chargebacks and late receivables, Collins said. The company also said MAX found more than 200 shipment-status failures involving beverage brand Zevia and a third-party logistics provider, potentially avoiding delays in invoicing and receivables. The company is also using AI internally to accelerate customer onboarding. Collins said hundreds of suppliers have achieved full compliance with new trading partners within 24 hours through agentic onboarding, while some more complex ERP integration and onboarding projects have been completed in fewer than 30 days. Management said the financial contribution from agentic onboarding to third-quarter gross-margin expansion was minimal because the rollout remains early. Del Preto said much of the year-to-date margin improvement instead reflected process improvements made over the past 12 to 15 months. He expects agentic onboarding to become a more meaningful contributor over the next 12 to 18 months as the technology is extended across more ERP integrations and customer types. MAX’s advanced agent capabilities are expected to become a monetizable offering in 2027. Collins said SPS will prioritize customer adoption rather than attempting to maximize pricing immediately. The company has about 20 customers participating in co-development of MAX Agents and expects its early-adopter program to expand to roughly 200 customers as it moves from the fourth quarter into the first quarter. Customer metrics and growth priorities SPS ended the quarter with 46,700 recurring-revenue customers and average revenue per customer of $16,200. The divestiture removed approximately 7,300 smaller third-party Revenue Recovery customers, which increased average revenue per customer. Collins said retail enablement activity was strong during the quarter and continued into the fourth quarter, with some momentum expected to carry into 2027. The activity skewed more toward average-revenue-per-customer growth than customer-count growth. Management said growth is increasingly expected to come from expanding existing customer relationships, adding more trading connections, and cross-selling Analytics, Revenue Recovery and future MAX Agent products. The company has rebranded and replatformed its analytics product as Decision Intelligence. Collins said retention metrics for customers on the new platform have been more favorable than under the prior platform, and SPS expects to launch additional AI capabilities for Decision Intelligence in the first half of 2027. Guidance and capital allocation For the fourth quarter, SPS forecast revenue of $199.3 million to $201.3 million, representing approximately 4% growth at the midpoint. Excluding the Amazon take-rate and divestiture impacts, underlying revenue growth is expected to be 8% to 9%. The company forecast adjusted EBITDA of $72 million to $74 million and non-GAAP diluted earnings per share of $1.31 to $1.36. For full-year 2026, SPS expects revenue of $786.9 million to $788.9 million, or approximately 5% growth at the midpoint. Excluding the previously cited impacts, the company expects underlying full-year revenue to grow at a high-single-digit rate. Full-year adjusted EBITDA is projected at $267.4 million to $269.4 million, implying a 34% margin at the midpoint. During the third quarter, SPS used 84% of its free cash flow to repurchase $48.8 million of company shares. Del Preto said buybacks are currently the company’s primary capital-allocation focus, though management will continue to evaluate its options over time. Investor Alert: Robbins LLP Informs Investors of the O-I Glass, Inc. Class Action Lawsuit | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
-SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Shareholder rights law firm Robbins LLP informs investors that a class action was filed on behalf of all persons who purchased or otherwise acquired O-I Glass, Inc. (NYSE: OI) common stock between March 14, 2025 and July 28, 2026, inclusive (the “Class Period”). O-I Glass is a global manufacturer of glass containers for food, beverages and pharmaceuticals, serving customers in the United States, Europe and other international markets. The complaint alleges that O-I Glass misled investors regarding its 2026 expected financial outlook. Investors who purchased O-I Glass, Inc. common stock during the Class Period and suffered significant losses should contact Robbins LLP before December 28, 2026 for information about the lawsuit. Why Was O-I Glass Sued? According to the complaint, defendants provided investors with material information concerning O-I Glass’ expected financial outlook for 2026, including its expectations for adjusted EBITDA and free cash flow, as well as growth expectations for its glass-packaging business. Defendants’ statements included, among other things, confidence in O-I Glass’ ability to drive growth through its Fit to Win initiative, emphasizing “a more premium and resilient business portfolio” and disciplined pricing, while navigating challenges in its European operations. Plaintiff contends that defendants provided these overwhelmingly positive statements to investors while, at the same time, disseminating materially false and misleading statements and/or concealing material adverse facts concerning the true state of O-I Glass’ Fit to Win program, including the delay in achieving its targeted cost savings, higher than expected expenses, operational disruptions that materially offset Fit to Win benefits, and continued competitive and energy-cost pressures affecting its European operations. Such statements absent these material facts caused Plaintiff and other shareholders to purchase O-I Glass’ securities at artificially inflated prices. Why Did O-I Glass Stock Drop? Plaintiff alleges that the truth emerged after the market closed on July 28, 2026, when O-I Glass announced its second quarter 2026 financial results, substantially reducing its 2026 adjusted EBITDA and free cash flow guidance and realigning its 2027 Investor Day financial targets. On this news, the price of O-I Glass’ common stock declined from a closing market price of $9.06 per share on July 28, 2026, to $7.70 per share on July 29, 2026, a decline of about 15%. What Can O-I Glass Investors Do Now? Investors who purchased O-I Glass, Inc. common stock during the Class Period may be eligible to serve as lead plaintiff. The lead plaintiff is a court-appointed investor who represents the interests of all class members throughout the litigation. Shareholders who wish to seek appointment as lead plaintiff should contact Robbins LLP before the December 28, 2026 deadline for information about the appointment process. Shareholders do not need to serve as lead plaintiff to share in any potential recovery. Those who do not seek appointment may remain absent class members. Does It Cost Anything to Participate? No. Robbins LLP represents investors on a contingency fee basis, with no upfront or out-of-pocket fees or expenses. Contact Robbins LLP Investors seeking additional information about the O-I Glass, Inc. securities class action may contact Robbins LLP by submitting an inquiry, emailing attorney Aaron Dumas, Jr., or calling (800) 350-6003. ROSEN, GLOBAL INVESTOR COUNSEL, Encourages Duolingo, Inc. Investors to Secure Counsel Before Important Deadline in Securities Class Action - DUOL | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
New York, New York--(Newsfile Corp. - October 29, 2026) - WHY: Rosen Law Firm, a global investor rights law firm, reminds purchasers of Class A common stock of Duolingo, Inc. (NASDAQ: DUOL) between May 2, 2025 to February 26, 2026, inclusive (the "Class Period"), of the important December 7, 2026 lead plaintiff deadline.SO WHAT: If you purchased Duolingo Class A common stock during the Class Period you may be entitled to compensation without payment of any out of pocket fees or costs through a contingency fee arrangement. WHAT TO DO NEXT: To join the Duolingo class action, go to https://rosenlegal.com/cases/duolingo-inc/join or call Phillip Kim, Esq. toll-free at 866-767-3653 or email [email protected] for information on the class action. A class action lawsuit has already been filed. If you wish to serve as lead plaintiff, you must move the Court no later than December 7, 2026. A lead plaintiff is a representative party acting on behalf of other class members in directing the litigation. WHY ROSEN LAW: We encourage investors to select qualified counsel with a track record of success in leadership roles. Often, firms issuing notices do not have comparable experience, resources, or any meaningful peer recognition. Many of these firms do not actually handle securities class actions, but are merely middlemen that refer clients or partner with law firms that actually litigate the cases. Be wise in selecting counsel. The Rosen Law Firm represents investors throughout the globe, concentrating its practice in securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation. Rosen Law Firm has achieved the largest ever securities class action settlement against a Chinese Company. Rosen Law Firm was Ranked No. 1 by ISS Securities Class Action Services for number of securities class action settlements in 2017. The firm has been ranked in the top 4 each year since 2013 and has recovered billions of dollars for investors. In 2019 alone the firm secured over $438 million for investors. In 2020, founding partner Laurence Rosen was named by law360 as a Titan of Plaintiffs' Bar. Many of the firm's attorneys have been recognized by Lawdragon and Super Lawyers. DETAILS OF THE CASE: According to the lawsuit, defendants made materially false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) Daily Active User ("DAU") growth rates were being leveraged against deliberately added user friction in the form of significant increases in ad volume, subscription tier upsells, and worsened product quality, and defendants understood that any amount of user friction would cause users to leave the app and, ultimately, negatively impact DAU growth rates; (2) Duolingo's rigorous A/B testing demonstrated to defendants that increased friction in the free user experience was having negative impacts on DAU growth rates; (3) Duolingo's quickly generated AI content was worsening the quality of Duolingo's product offerings, negatively impacting the user experience and user trends, and threatening the sustainability of Duolingo's financial performance; and (4) far from driving sustained growth and strong user momentum through content and "product improvements" that "get improved retention," Duolingo's constant A/B testing informed Duolingo that its monetization push and lower-quality, rapidly generated AI content were degrading the Duolingo product experience and the value proposition of its subscription tiers. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages. To join the Duolingo class action, go to https://rosenlegal.com/cases/duolingo-inc/join or call Phillip Kim, Esq. toll-free at 866-767-3653 or email [email protected] for information on the class action. No Class Has Been Certified. Until a class is certified, you are not represented by counsel unless you retain one. You may select counsel of your choice. You may also remain an absent class member and do nothing at this point. An investor's ability to share in any potential future recovery is not dependent upon serving as lead plaintiff. What BridgeBio Pharma (BBIO) Said on Its Q3 Earnings Call | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
The Phase 3 Failure That Sent Biotech Winners and Losers in Opposite DirectionsBridgeBio Pharma NASDAQ: BBIO reported third-quarter revenue growth driven by sales of ATTR cardiomyopathy treatment Attruby and a one-time milestone tied to European partner Bayer’s commercialization of Beyonttra. The company also outlined plans for three potential U.S. product launches over the next seven months, subject to Food and Drug Administration decisions.Total revenue for the third quarter of 2026 was $353.2 million, compared with $120.7 million a year earlier. U.S. Attruby net product revenue reached $253.2 million, up 14% sequentially and 134% year over year. Revenue also included a $75 million one-time Beyonttra sales milestone from Bayer and $20.5 million in royalty revenue, primarily from Beyonttra sales in Europe and Japan. Get BridgeBio Pharma alerts: BridgeBio's Volatile Week Puts Biotech Stocks Under a MicroscopePresident and Chief Financial Officer Tom Trimarchi said the company recorded an operating loss of $11.6 million, improving from a $145.2 million operating loss in the prior-year quarter. Operating expenses rose to $344.4 million from $259.3 million as BridgeBio invested in Attruby and prepared for upcoming launches. As of Sept. 30, BridgeBio held $1.5 billion in cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities, which Trimarchi described as the company’s strongest reported cash position. He said the company expects operating expenses to increase in the fourth quarter as launch-related spending catches up, followed by more modest expense growth and improving operating results through 2027. Attruby growth and real-world evidence Chief Executive Officer Neil Kumar said BridgeBio’s Attruby/Beyonttra franchise is annualizing at more than $1 billion in the U.S. market and above that level globally. He reiterated the company’s belief that the franchise can meet or exceed its $4 billion peak-sales assumption. Kumar said growth in the U.S. is increasingly being driven by first-line patient starts. BridgeBio has seen Attruby prescribed by roughly 2,900 physicians, largely cardiologists at academic medical centers and high-volume heart-failure practices. He said more than 60% of potential prescribers have yet to try the product, with many of those clinicians being lower-volume or non-cardiology specialists. During the question-and-answer session, Chief Business Officer Chinmay Shukla said a quarterly Attruby revenue increase of roughly $25 million to $30 million is the appropriate near-term expectation, with potential for that figure to rise over time. Chief Commercial Officer Matt Outten said persistency, compliance and gross-to-net trends have remained stable, while the number of physicians initiating Attruby in the first-line setting continues to expand. Management highlighted two recent comparative real-world analyses of acoramidis, the active ingredient in Attruby, versus tafamidis. Kumar said a study using Komodo U.S. claims data found acoramidis was associated with a 34% reduction in composite clinical worsening and a 43% reduction in diuretic intensification compared with tafamidis. Separately, an analysis presented at the Heart Failure Society of America meeting using Epic Cosmos electronic health record data associated acoramidis with lower risks of a composite of death, hospitalization, new-onset atrial fibrillation and diuretic intensification. BridgeBio also said Bayer’s Beyonttra launch has been strong in Europe, where Kumar said the brand is the market leader. The company received the $75 million sales milestone earlier than it had expected. Three regulatory decisions ahead BridgeBio expects FDA decisions on three programs in the coming months: BBP-418 for limb-girdle muscular dystrophy type 2I/R9: PDUFA date of Nov. 27, 2026. The company said no advisory committee meeting is planned. If approved, it would be the first therapy for any limb-girdle muscular dystrophy. Infigratinib for achondroplasia: Priority-review PDUFA date of Feb. 4, 2027. BridgeBio has also submitted a European marketing application and expects a potential European decision in the second half of 2027. Encaleret for autosomal dominant hypocalcemia type 1, or ADH1: Priority-review PDUFA date of May 8, 2027. No advisory committee is planned, according to the company. For BBP-418, BridgeBio said it has identified more than 500 genetically diagnosed U.S. patients and that about 70% receive care through the Muscular Dystrophy Association Care Center Network. Anna Wade, chief operating officer of BridgeBio Neuromuscular, said the company expects its account managers to reach more than 90% of those centers by the PDUFA date. She said BridgeBio’s discussions with FDA have remained positive and that management expects a traditional full approval rather than accelerated approval. BridgeBio plans to submit a European marketing authorization application for BBP-418 in the first half of 2028, based on final 36-month FORTIFY trial data expected in late 2027 or early 2028. Wade said European health authorities requested the longer-term data, and BridgeBio estimates there are more than 4,000 patients in Europe with the condition. Pipeline expansion and launch preparations For infigratinib, management said the FDA granted priority review for the achondroplasia application. The company said its commercial field team is staffed and has been conducting disease-state education. Justin To, chief executive of BridgeBio Skeletal Dysplasias, said the company does not expect a citizen petition from competitor Ascendis to affect the FDA review timeline or potential label. For encaleret, BridgeBio said it has identified more than 600 genetically confirmed ADH1 patients in the U.S., up from about 500 in the previous quarter. The company is also expanding the drug’s development into chronic hypoparathyroidism. It dosed the first participant in the global Phase III RECLAIM-HP study in October. The RECLAIM-HP study is expected to enroll approximately 160 patients and evaluates the proportion of participants achieving normal blood and urine calcium at week 24. Ananth Sridhar, chief operating officer of BridgeBio Cardiorenal, said BridgeBio estimates the chronic hypoparathyroidism population at roughly 200,000 people in the U.S. and Europe, compared with about 25,000 people with ADH1 in those markets. The company anticipates top-line results from RECLAIM-HP within 15 months. Kumar also said BridgeBio nominated BBP-717, a next-generation monoclonal antibody program for ATTR cardiomyopathy, as a development candidate. The company plans to file an investigational new drug application for the program in 2027. About BridgeBio Pharma (NASDAQ:BBIO)BridgeBio Pharma, Inc is a biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering, developing and commercializing medicines for genetically driven diseases. What Exponent (EXPO) Said on Its Q3 Earnings Call | FMP Stock News
|
Original source text
7 best fintech ETFs to buy nowExponent NASDAQ: EXPO reported third-quarter 2026 revenue and earnings growth as demand remained strong for its engineering and scientific consulting services, particularly in user research, product safety, failure analysis and dispute-related work.Total revenue increased 18% year over year to $173.7 million, while net revenue, which excludes reimbursable expenses, rose 12% to $153.1 million. Net income increased 10% to $30.9 million, and diluted earnings per share rose 16% to $0.64 from $0.55 a year earlier. Get Exponent alerts: How to Buy OpenAI Stock: A GuideChief Executive Officer Catherine Corrigan said the quarter reflected demand for the company’s specialized expertise as technology becomes more integrated with physical products, infrastructure and human behavior. She cited growth in user research as well as disputes, failure analysis and product-safety work involving chemicals, consumer products and transportation. Utilization and operating results Exponent generated third-quarter EBITDA of $45 million, up 16% from the prior-year period. EBITDA margin expanded to 29.4% of net revenue from 28.3% a year earlier. How to Calculate Moving Average; How it Helps in Stock SelectionBillable hours increased 8% to approximately 405,000, while the company’s average technical full-time-equivalent workforce grew 4% to 1,016 employees. Utilization rose to 76.7% from 74.1%, and the realized billing-rate increase was approximately 4%. During the call, Chief Financial Officer Eric Anderson said the higher utilization was driven by broad-based demand rather than calendar-related factors. He pointed to dispute-related activity across consumer products, chemicals and transportation, along with stronger-than-expected proactive study work. A project that represented 4% of revenue in the second quarter declined to 2.5% in the third quarter. Anderson said the company expects that project to represent less than 1% of revenue in the fourth quarter. Compensation expense, adjusted for deferred-compensation gains and losses, rose 11%. Stock-based compensation increased to $6.7 million from $5.3 million. Other operating expenses rose 9% to $13.8 million, reflecting investments in corporate infrastructure, while general and administrative expense declined 4% to $7.3 million, primarily because the company held a smaller firmwide principals meeting than the prior year’s managers meeting. Over the past 12 months, Exponent used $171 million for common-stock repurchases, reducing average diluted shares outstanding by 5% to 48.4 million. The company did not repurchase shares during the third quarter. It also distributed $14.7 million through dividends during the quarter. Segment performance and AI-related demand The engineering and other scientific segment, which accounted for 85% of net revenue, posted 13% net-revenue growth. The company attributed the increase to user research involving health applications, dynamic real-world environments and sensory perception, as well as disputes concerning chemical facilities, consumer products and advanced transportation technologies. The environmental and health segment, representing 15% of net revenue, grew 3%. Anderson said growth in that business was supported by projects assessing the effects of chemicals on human health and the environment. President John Pye said Exponent estimates that artificial intelligence is a direct component of roughly 15% to 20% of its business this year. The company’s AI-related work spans infrastructure supporting AI systems, including data-center components and cooling systems, as well as applications involving data used to train systems and testing of AI performance in real-world conditions. Pye said clients are increasingly asking Exponent to assess AI-generated recommendations, including recommendations related to materials and formulations, and to investigate why AI systems made certain decisions in vehicles, devices or equipment. He said such projects remain early but are growing. In response to analyst questions, executives said AI-related reactive work already includes matters involving advanced driver-assistance systems and autonomous vehicles. Executive Vice President Rich Schlenker also cited work on data-center fires, liquid-cooling corrosion, router failures and construction disputes related to AI systems. Corrigan said medical devices could represent another developing area for AI-related reactive work, particularly as wearable technologies make health-related assessments and decisions. Hiring priorities and outlook Management said it is increasing recruiting efforts in response to demand, including university recruiting, lateral hiring from competitors and industry, and hiring from regulatory organizations. Corrigan identified human factors, biomechanics, thermal science, polymers, metallurgy, energy storage, health and environmental expertise as areas of focus. For the fourth quarter, Exponent expects net revenue growth of 8% to 10% year over year and EBITDA margin of 26.3% to 26.8% of net revenue. Anderson said the outlook assumes utilization of 69% to 70%, which is seasonally lower than the third quarter because of holidays and vacations but consistent with continued robust activity. He noted that the company faces a strong prior-year comparison, when fourth-quarter utilization was 69.2%. For full-year 2026, Exponent raised its outlook and now expects: Net revenue growth of 10% to 11%. EBITDA margin of 28% to 28.3%, compared with 27.6% in 2025. Average technical employee growth of 4.7% to 5%. Full-year utilization of 73.5% to 74%, compared with 72.5% in 2025. Realized rate growth of 3.7% to 4%. Capital expenditures of $10 million to $12 million. Management said it plans to continue paying dividends and may repurchase shares during stock-price pullbacks. Anderson said the company also will evaluate potential small acquisitions and other business investments while maintaining its existing capital-allocation approach.
