Analysts Estimate Arch Capital Group (ACGL) to Report a Decline in Earnings: What to Look Out for
ACGL Arch Capital Group
FMP Stock News
Original source text
The market expects Arch Capital Group (ACGL - Free Report) to deliver a year-over-year decline in earnings on lower revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook is important in assessing the company's earnings picture, but a powerful factor that might influence its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.

The earnings report, which is expected to be released on July 28, might help the stock move higher if these key numbers are better than expectations. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.

While management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call will mostly determine the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations, it's worth having a handicapping insight into the odds of a positive EPS surprise.

Zacks Consensus EstimateThis property and casualty insurer is expected to post quarterly earnings of $2.45 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of -5%.

Revenues are expected to be $4.59 billion, down 3.5% from the year-ago quarter.

Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 1.34% lower over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.

Investors should keep in mind that an aggregate change may not always reflect the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts.

Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise

Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. This insight is at the core of our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction).

The Zacks Earnings ESP compares the Most Accurate Estimate to the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the quarter; the Most Accurate Estimate is a more recent version of the Zacks Consensus EPS estimate. The idea here is that analysts revising their estimates right before an earnings release have the latest information, which could potentially be more accurate than what they and others contributing to the consensus had predicted earlier.

Thus, a positive or negative Earnings ESP reading theoretically indicates the likely deviation of the actual earnings from the consensus estimate. However, the model's predictive power is significant for positive ESP readings only.

A positive Earnings ESP is a strong predictor of an earnings beat, particularly when combined with a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold). Our research shows that stocks with this combination produce a positive surprise nearly 70% of the time, and a solid Zacks Rank actually increases the predictive power of Earnings ESP.

Please note that a negative Earnings ESP reading is not indicative of an earnings miss. Our research shows that it is difficult to predict an earnings beat with any degree of confidence for stocks with negative Earnings ESP readings and/or Zacks Rank of 4 (Sell) or 5 (Strong Sell).

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Arch Capital? For Arch Capital, the Most Accurate Estimate is lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bearish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -2.52%.

On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.

So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Arch Capital will beat the consensus EPS estimate.

Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue?Analysts often consider to what extent a company has been able to match consensus estimates in the past while calculating their estimates for its future earnings. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.

For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Arch Capital would post earnings of $2.45 per share when it actually produced earnings of $2.50, delivering a surprise of +2.04%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates four times.

Bottom LineAn earnings beat or miss may not be the sole basis for a stock moving higher or lower. Many stocks end up losing ground despite an earnings beat due to other factors that disappoint investors. Similarly, unforeseen catalysts help a number of stocks gain despite an earnings miss.

That said, betting on stocks that are expected to beat earnings expectations does increase the odds of success. This is why it's worth checking a company's Earnings ESP and Zacks Rank ahead of its quarterly release. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.

Arch Capital doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

An Industry Player's Expected ResultsAnother stock from the Zacks Insurance - Property and Casualty industry, Cincinnati Financial (CINF - Free Report) , is soon expected to post earnings of $1.82 per share for the quarter ended June 2026. This estimate indicates a year-over-year change of -7.6%. Revenues for the quarter are expected to be $3.01 billion, up 8.4% from the year-ago quarter.

The consensus EPS estimate for Cincinnati Financial has remained unchanged over the last 30 days. However, a higher Most Accurate Estimate has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +7.22%.

When combined with a Zacks Rank of #2 (Buy), this Earnings ESP indicates that Cincinnati Financial will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate. The company beat consensus EPS estimates in each of the trailing four quarters.

NWL Newell Brands
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Investors looking for stocks in the Consumer Products - Staples sector might want to consider either Newell Brands (NWL - Free Report) or Procter & Gamble (PG - Free Report) . But which of these two stocks presents investors with the better value opportunity right now? Let's take a closer look.

We have found that the best way to discover great value opportunities is to pair a strong Zacks Rank with a great grade in the Value category of our Style Scores system. The proven Zacks Rank emphasizes companies with positive estimate revision trends, and our Style Scores highlight stocks with specific traits.

Newell Brands has a Zacks Rank of #2 (Buy), while Procter & Gamble has a Zacks Rank of #4 (Sell) right now. This means that NWL's earnings estimate revision activity has been more impressive, so investors should feel comfortable with its improving analyst outlook. However, value investors will care about much more than just this.

Value investors are also interested in a number of tried-and-true valuation metrics that help show when a company is undervalued at its current share price levels.

Our Value category grades stocks based on a number of key metrics, including the tried-and-true P/E ratio, the P/S ratio, earnings yield, and cash flow per share, as well as a variety of other fundamentals that value investors frequently use.

NWL currently has a forward P/E ratio of 9.03, while PG has a forward P/E of 21.21. We also note that NWL has a PEG ratio of 6.27. This metric is used similarly to the famous P/E ratio, but the PEG ratio also takes into account the stock's expected earnings growth rate. PG currently has a PEG ratio of 7.42.

Another notable valuation metric for NWL is its P/B ratio of 0.93. Investors use the P/B ratio to look at a stock's market value versus its book value, which is defined as total assets minus total liabilities. By comparison, PG has a P/B of 6.43.

Based on these metrics and many more, NWL holds a Value grade of A, while PG has a Value grade of D.

NWL is currently sporting an improving earnings outlook, which makes it stick out in our Zacks Rank model. And, based on the above valuation metrics, we feel that NWL is likely the superior value option right now.

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Werner? For Werner, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +4.35%.

On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #2.

So, this combination indicates that Werner will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate.

Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.

For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Werner would post a loss of$0.03 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.02, delivering a surprise of +166.67%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates two times.

Werner appears a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

Burlington's Smaller Store Format Improves Sales Productivity
BURL Burlington Stores
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Burlington's relocated stores typically deliver a 5% to 10% sales lift in higher-traffic shopping centers.BURL has improved sales per selling square foot by 55% since 2019 through smaller, more productive stores.Burlington raised fiscal 2026 guidance as store optimization and healthy customer demand support growth. Burlington Stores, Inc. (BURL - Free Report) is making steady progress with its smaller store format strategy, an initiative aimed at improving sales productivity while driving long-term profitability. The company continues to optimize its store portfolio through new store openings, relocations and downsizing projects, creating a more productive and efficient retail footprint. These initiatives are enhancing Burlington's competitive position and supporting sustainable growth across its off-price business.

Burlington's relocation and downsizing programs are delivering solid returns. Relocated stores typically generate a 5% to 10% sales lift by moving to higher-traffic shopping centers with stronger co-tenancy. The company is resizing older stores where the locations remain attractive but the selling space is larger than required. In many cases, Burlington reduces store size by roughly half, lowering occupancy costs by about 200 basis points while maintaining an engaging shopping experience.

The strategy has significantly improved store productivity over the past several years. Sales per selling square foot have increased to approximately $350 from about $220 in 2019, representing a 55% improvement. Management attributes this gain to a combination of smaller, more productive stores, stronger merchandising execution and better utilization of selling space. As more stores are relocated or downsized, Burlington expects additional occupancy cost leverage and improved operating efficiency.

The company is accelerating this transformation through continued investment in its store network. Burlington opened 40 new stores in the first quarter of fiscal 2026 and expects to add 115 net new stores in fiscal 2026. By the end of 2028, the retailer expects to operate more than 1,500 stores, with over 80% of its fleet having been opened, relocated or downsized since 2019. The company expects to complete its Store Experience 2.0 rollout by the end of this year, making stores easier to shop and more appealing to customers.

Burlington's focus on smaller, more productive stores complements its broader off-price strategy by improving efficiency without compromising customer value. Reflecting confidence in its execution, the company raised its fiscal 2026 outlook and expects total sales growth of 9% to 11%, comparable sales growth of 2% to 4% and adjusted earnings per share of $11.45 to $11.80. Management remains optimistic about the remainder of the year, supported by healthy customer demand, ample off-price merchandise availability and continued progress across its store optimization initiatives.

Asana (ASAN) Upgraded to Buy: Here's What You Should Know
ASAN Asana
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Investors might want to bet on Asana, Inc. (ASAN - Free Report) , as it has been recently upgraded to a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy). This upgrade is essentially a reflection of an upward trend in earnings estimates -- one of the most powerful forces impacting stock prices.

The Zacks rating relies solely on a company's changing earnings picture. It tracks EPS estimates for the current and following years from the sell-side analysts covering the stock through a consensus measure -- the Zacks Consensus Estimate.

Individual investors often find it hard to make decisions based on rating upgrades by Wall Street analysts, since these are mostly driven by subjective factors that are hard to see and measure in real time. In these situations, the Zacks rating system comes in handy because of the power of a changing earnings picture in determining near-term stock price movements.

Therefore, the Zacks rating upgrade for Asana basically reflects positivity about its earnings outlook that could translate into buying pressure and an increase in its stock price.

Most Powerful Force Impacting Stock PricesThe change in a company's future earnings potential, as reflected in earnings estimate revisions, and the near-term price movement of its stock are proven to be strongly correlated. The influence of institutional investors has a partial contribution to this relationship, as these big professionals use earnings and earnings estimates to calculate the fair value of a company's shares. An increase or decrease in earnings estimates in their valuation models simply results in higher or lower fair value for a stock, and institutional investors typically buy or sell it. Their transaction of large amounts of shares then leads to price movement for the stock.

Fundamentally speaking, rising earnings estimates and the consequent rating upgrade for Asana imply an improvement in the company's underlying business. Investors should show their appreciation for this improving business trend by pushing the stock higher.

Harnessing the Power of Earnings Estimate RevisionsAs empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock movements, tracking such revisions for making an investment decision could be truly rewarding. Here is where the tried-and-tested Zacks Rank stock-rating system plays an important role, as it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions.

The Zacks Rank stock-rating system, which uses four factors related to earnings estimates to classify stocks into five groups, ranging from Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) to Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell), has an impressive externally-audited track record, with Zacks Rank #1 stocks generating an average annual return of +25% since 1988. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>> .

Earnings Estimate Revisions for AsanaThis company is expected to earn $0.38 per share for the fiscal year ending January 2027, which represents no year-over-year change.

Analysts have been steadily raising their estimates for Asana. Over the past three months, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the company has increased 25.2%.

Bottom LineUnlike the overly optimistic Wall Street analysts whose rating systems tend to be weighted toward favorable recommendations, the Zacks rating system maintains an equal proportion of "buy" and "sell" ratings for its entire universe of more than 4,000 stocks at any point in time. Irrespective of market conditions, only the top 5% of the Zacks-covered stocks get a "Strong Buy" rating and the next 15% get a "Buy" rating. So, the placement of a stock in the top 20% of the Zacks-covered stocks indicates its superior earnings estimate revision feature, making it a solid candidate for producing market-beating returns in the near term.

You can learn more about the Zacks Rank here >>>

The upgrade of Asana to a Zacks Rank #2 positions it in the top 20% of the Zacks-covered stocks in terms of estimate revisions, implying that the stock might move higher in the near term.

Hubbell (HUBB) Earnings Expected to Grow: What to Know Ahead of Next Week's Release
HUBB Hubbell
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Hubbell (HUBB - Free Report) is expected to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook gives a good sense of the company's earnings picture, but how the actual results compare to these estimates is a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price.

Zacks Consensus EstimateThis electrical products manufacturer is expected to post quarterly earnings of $5.31 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +7.7%.

Revenues are expected to be $1.67 billion, up 12.4% from the year-ago quarter.

Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 0.61% higher over the last 30 days to the current level.

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Hubbell? For Hubbell, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +0.62%.

On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #2.

So, this combination indicates that Hubbell will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate.

Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.

For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Hubbell would post earnings of $3.87 per share when it actually produced earnings of $3.93, delivering a surprise of +1.55%.

Daří se též kryptoměnám a kryptoměnová burza Coinbase dnes vystřelila a momentálně připisuje 12 %. Samotný Bitcoin přidává +1,42 %.

Wall Street Analysts Think Mobileye (MBLY) Could Surge 46.93%: Read This Before Placing a Bet
MBLY Mobileye Global Common Stock
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Mobileye Global (MBLY - Free Report) closed the last trading session at $8.95, gaining 7.3% over the past four weeks, but there could be plenty of upside left in the stock if short-term price targets set by Wall Street analysts are any guide. The mean price target of $13.15 indicates a 46.9% upside potential.

The average comprises 25 short-term price targets ranging from a low of $8.00 to a high of $27.00, with a standard deviation of $5.01. While the lowest estimate indicates a decline of 10.6% from the current price level, the most optimistic estimate points to a 201.7% upside. More than the range, one should note the standard deviation here, as it helps understand the variability of the estimates. The smaller the standard deviation, the greater the agreement among analysts.

While the consensus price target is highly sought after by investors, the ability and unbiasedness of analysts in setting price targets have long been questionable. And investors making investment decisions solely based on this tool would arguably do themselves a disservice.

But, for MBLY, an impressive average price target is not the only indicator of a potential upside. Strong agreement among analysts about the company's ability to report better earnings than they predicted earlier strengthens this view. While a positive trend in earnings estimate revisions doesn't gauge how much a stock could gain, it has proven to be powerful in predicting an upside.

Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise

Here's What You Should Know About Analysts' Price TargetsAccording to researchers at several universities across the globe, a price target is one of many pieces of information about a stock that misleads investors far more often than it guides. In fact, empirical research shows that price targets set by several analysts, irrespective of the extent of agreement, rarely indicate where the price of a stock could actually be heading.

While Wall Street analysts have deep knowledge of a company's fundamentals and the sensitivity of its business to economic and industry issues, many of them tend to set overly optimistic price targets. Are you wondering why?

They usually do that to drum up interest in shares of companies that their firms either have existing business relationships with or are looking to be associated with. In other words, business incentives of firms covering a stock often result in inflated price targets set by analysts.

However, a tight clustering of price targets, which is represented by a low standard deviation, indicates that analysts have a high degree of agreement about the direction and magnitude of a stock's price movement. While that doesn't necessarily mean the stock will hit the average price target, it could be a good starting point for further research aimed at identifying the potential fundamental driving forces.

That said, while investors should not entirely ignore price targets, making an investment decision solely based on them could lead to disappointing ROI. So, price targets should always be treated with a high degree of skepticism.

Why MBLY Could Witness a Solid UpsideAnalysts' growing optimism over the company's earnings prospects, as indicated by strong agreement among them in revising EPS estimates higher, could be a legitimate reason to expect an upside in the stock. That's because empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements.

Over the last 30 days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current year has increased 1.5%, as one estimate has moved higher compared to no negative revision.

Moreover, MBLY currently has a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), which means it is in the top 5% of more than 4,000 stocks that we rank based on four factors related to earnings estimates. Given an impressive externally-audited track record, this is a more conclusive indication of the stock's potential upside in the near term. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>> .

Therefore, while the consensus price target may not be a reliable indicator of how much MBLY could gain, the direction of price movement it implies does appear to be a good guide.

Revenue increased 4.3% year over year to $1.194 billion, exceeding analysts’ estimates of $1.18 billion. Adjusted earnings came in at $4.07 per share, below the consensus estimate of $4.20.

“In the second quarter, Domino’s drove meaningful order count growth,” said Russell Weiner, Domino’s Chief Executive Officer. “I believe order growth is the most important driver of long-term success in our business. In a quarter where the broader U.S. QSR industry continued to face pressure on consumer demand, Domino’s generated order count growth across both our delivery and carryout businesses, bringing millions of new customers to our brand.”

Domino’s shares rose 0.6% to trade at $331.02 on Tuesday.

These analysts made changes to their price targets on Domino’s following earnings announcement.

TD Cowen analyst Andrew M. Charles maintained the stock with a Hold and raised the price target from $295 to $310. BMO Capital analyst Andrew Strelzik maintained the stock with an Outperform rating and cut the price target from $450 to $420. Evercore ISI Group analyst David Palmer maintained the stock with an Outperform rating and raised the price target from $350 to $375. Considering buying DPZ stock? Here’s what analysts think:

Domino's Stock Faces a Tough Test Between Value and Near-Term Risk
DPZ Domino’s Pizza
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways DPZ trades below industry, sector, market and five-year median valuation benchmarks after its pullback.Q2 revenues beat estimates, but EPS missed as U.S. same-store sales rose 0.1% and ticket trends softened.Margins and cash flow weakened as food, labor, insurance and higher capital spending pressured results. Domino’s Pizza, Inc. (DPZ - Free Report) has pulled back enough to make valuation part of the debate again. The stock no longer looks stretched compared with several benchmarks, and the company still has a powerful franchise model.

The harder question is whether that reset is enough. Estimate pressure, softer ticket trends, margin strain and weaker cash conversion make DPZ look more like a patient investor’s watchlist stock than a clear bargain.

DPZ Valuation Has Reset to Lower LevelsDPZ trades at 16.57X forward 12-month earnings. That compares with 22.63X for the Zacks sub-industry, 23.03X for the Zacks sector and 20.74X for the S&P 500 index.

The discount also shows up against Domino’s own history. Over the past five years, the stock has traded between 14.21X and 40.6X, with a five-year median of 25.16X. That lower multiple gives investors a reason to ask whether much of the disappointment is already reflected in the share price.

Domino’s Results Are Strong but Not CleanSecond-quarter fiscal 2026 revenues rose 4.3% year over year to $1.19 billion and beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate by $15.18 million. Earnings per share of $4.07 increased from $3.81 a year earlier but missed the consensus mark by 10 cents.

The positives were not minor. Supply-chain revenues increased, global franchise royalties improved and the system added 209 net stores, including 26 in the United States and 183 internationally. Papa John’s International, Inc. (PZZA - Free Report) , which currently carries a Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell), remains a relevant peer in the same pizza category, where value messaging, delivery demand and franchisee economics are central investor issues.

Still, the quarter had weak spots. U.S. same-store sales increased just 0.1%, and international same-store sales declined 0.1%, excluding currency. Management pointed to strong order counts, but lower average ticket limited the benefit.

DPZ's Margin Pressure Still Clouds the CaseDomino’s is leaning more heavily on value at a time when the broader restaurant market remains promotional. The company revised its second-half marketing calendar and added Stuffed Crust to its Best Deal Ever promotion.

That may support traffic, but it also keeps the ticket and margin debate alive. Pricing rose just 0.2% in the quarter, while weaker product mix weighed on comparable sales.

Cost pressure adds another layer of risk. U.S. company-owned store gross margin declined to 11.4% in the second quarter from 15.6% a year earlier. Food costs, labor costs and insurance all moved against the company.

McDonald’s Corporation (MCD - Free Report) , which currently carries a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell), is another useful reference point for investors watching value-led quick-service restaurant demand. Across the group, the challenge is not just driving visits but doing so without sacrificing too much pricing power or restaurant-level profitability.

Domino’s Cash Flow Leaves Some QuestionsCash generation also softened. Net cash provided by operating activities fell 3.9% year over year to $352.6 million in the first two fiscal quarters of 2026.

Free cash flow declined 5.5% to $313.6 million as capital expenditures rose to $39.0 million. The decline reflected changes in operating assets and liabilities, along with the timing and amount of advertising-related payments.

The balance sheet still requires attention. Long-term debt was about $4.88 billion at quarter-end, while first-half interest expense increased to $92.3 million from $90.2 million.

There are offsets. Domino’s repurchased $231.3 million of stock in the first half, had $1.23 billion remaining under its authorization and maintained a quarterly dividend of $1.99 per share. Its leverage ratio also improved to 4.3X from 4.7X a year earlier.

Why DPZ Ratings Favor PatienceThe bottom line is that DPZ has become more reasonably valued, but the operating setup is not yet clean enough to call the pullback a straightforward opportunity. The business still has durable advantages, yet ticket weakness, cost inflation and softer estimate trends keep the near-term case uneven.

DPZ stock currently carries a Zacks Rank #4. That rank points to caution over the next one to three months, especially with current-year earnings estimates down over the past 30 days.

The Style Scores tell a more mixed story. DPZ has a Growth Score of A, reflecting the appeal of its long-term business model. Its Value Score of C suggests only moderate cheapness, while a Momentum Score of F signals unfavorable near-term stock behavior. That combination supports a patient stance.

Investors are watching GE Vernova (NYSE: GEV | GEV Price Prediction) ahead of its Q2 2026 results due Wednesday, July 22, before the open. After a blowout Q1 that pulled in $2.4 billion in data center equipment orders alone, this report will test whether the AI power build keeps accelerating.

The Hidden AI Play Meets Its Next Test Last quarter set a high bar. Revenue landed at $9.30 billion, ahead of the $9.27 billion consensus, and orders surged 71% organically to $18.30 billion. Electrification revenue jumped 61% with a book-to-bill of roughly 2.5x, and management raised full-year guidance across revenue, margin, and free cash flow. Gas turbine backlog plus slot reservations grew from 83 GW to 100 GW, with the company now targeting 110+ GW by year-end. Demand is running so hot that turbine capacity is effectively spoken for through 2027, giving GE Vernova unusual pricing power. Shares are up 65.42% year to date and 88.32% over the past year heading in.

Consensus and Guidance Snapshot Metric Q1 2026 Actual FY 2026 Guide (Raised) Revenue $9.30B $44.5B to $45.5B Revenue YoY Growth 15.79% ~17% to 19% Adj. EBITDA Margin 9.6% 12% to 14% Free Cash Flow $4.80B $6.5B to $7.5B All Eyes on Orders and the 110 GW Ramp The single number I’ll watch first is Q2 orders. Polymarket traders assign a 75% probability that Q2 orders top $18 billion and just 36.5% odds they exceed $20 billion. A print near or above that upper band would signal that hyperscaler behind-the-meter demand for gas turbines is still compounding.

Next: progress on the 110 GW combined gas turbine backlog and slot reservation target. With capacity sold out well into 2027, pricing is doing real work. You should look at Power segment EBITDA margin against the raised 17% to 19% full-year range to see if that mix is flowing through.

Electrification is the other pillar. Prolec GE is now fully consolidated, contributing roughly $3 billion of the raised $14.0 to $14.5 billion segment guide. I want to see the book-to-bill hold above 2x and margins tracking the 18% to 20% target.

Wind is the offset. Management already flagged roughly $400 million in EBITDA losses and low-double-digit revenue declines, pressured by tariffs and a cooler Washington posture toward offshore projects. Anything worse there will get attention, though the segment is a shrinking share of the story. TD Cowen recently set a $1,220 price target, roughly matching the $1,221.48 Street consensus.

A Chance to Cement the Supercycle Narrative With shares at $1,084.46 and a forward P/E near 38, GE Vernova is priced as a core AI power beneficiary. Another orders beat and a second consecutive guidance raise would harden the case that this is a multi-year electricity supercycle. If orders soften or Wind losses widen, the burden of proof shifts back to management.

Petrobras Expands Deepwater Operations With Two New FPSOs
PBR Petroleo Brasileiro
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Petrobras awarded SBM Offshore contracts for SEAP-I and SEAP-II FPSOs in the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin.PBR's two FPSOs will each produce 120,000 barrels of oil per day, with delivery planned for 2030 and 2031.SBM Offshore will build and operate the FPSOs using its Fast4Ward platform to streamline execution. Petrobras (PBR - Free Report) is advancing Brazil’s offshore energy expansion with the award of contracts to SBM Offshore for two new Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (“FPSO”) units in the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin, according to ShippingTelegraph. The SEAP-I (P-81) and SEAP-II (P-87) projects are expected to play a key role in developing deepwater oil and gas resources and enhancing the country’s offshore production capabilities.

The agreement reinforces the long-standing relationship between Petrobras and SBM Offshore, combining the Brazilian energy company’s ambitious offshore development strategy with the contractor’s expertise in designing and operating large-scale FPSOs.

SBM Offshore to Design, Build and Operate Both FPSOsUnder the contracts, SBM Offshore will oversee the engineering, construction and operation of the two production vessels. While the Petrobras-led consortia will own the FPSOs, SBM Offshore will manage their operations and maintenance under separate agreements spanning an initial period of 6.5 years.

This model allows Petrobras to focus on field development while relying on an experienced offshore specialist to ensure efficient day-to-day operations. It also highlights the industry's growing preference for partnerships that combine technical innovation with long-term operational support.

Fast4Ward Platform to Streamline Project ExecutionA defining feature of both projects is the use of SBM Offshore’s Fast4Ward program, which introduces standardized hull designs to simplify construction and reduce project timelines.

The company will deploy its 11th and 12th multipurpose new-build hulls for the SEAP-I and SEAP-II units, respectively. By using a proven design platform, engineering teams can focus on integrating field-specific processing systems without starting every project from scratch.

This standardized approach has become increasingly valuable as offshore developments move into deeper waters and require more sophisticated production facilities. Key benefits of the Fast4Ward concept include accelerated project execution, greater reliability and more efficient construction schedules.

SEAP-II Will Prioritize High-Capacity Gas ProcessingThe first vessel scheduled for delivery is SEAP-II (P-87), which is expected to enter service in 2030.

Designed to produce up to 120,000 barrels of oil per day, the FPSO will also feature an associated gas treatment capacity of 425 million standard cubic feet per day and a water injection system capable of handling 120,000 barrels per day.

The unit will operate approximately 80 kilometers offshore in water depths of around 2,500 meters, demonstrating the advanced engineering required for Brazil’s ultra-deepwater developments.

Its robust gas processing capability reflects Petrobras’ broader strategy of maximizing natural gas recovery alongside crude oil production, helping supply additional gas to regional markets.

SEAP-I Focuses on Long-Term Reservoir PerformanceThe second production vessel, SEAP-I (P-81), is scheduled for delivery in 2031 and will be deployed roughly 100 kilometers from Brazil’s coastline in similarly deep waters.

Like its sister vessel, it will produce 120,000 barrels of oil per day, but the design places greater emphasis on reservoir support through an enhanced 200,000 barrels per day water injection capacity. It will also process 355 million standard cubic feet of associated gas per day, ensuring efficient resource utilization throughout the project's operational life.

The complementary design of the two FPSOs allows Petrobras to optimize production across different field conditions while maintaining operational flexibility.

Why the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin MattersAlthough Brazil’s pre-salt fields often receive the most attention, the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin has steadily emerged as one of the country’s most promising offshore regions.

Located off Brazil’s northeastern coast, the basin offers significant untapped hydrocarbon potential that can diversify national production and support energy demand. Petrobras' continued investment in SEAP-I and SEAP-II reinforces its commitment to advancing offshore resource development beyond the legacy producing assets.

The projects are also expected to contribute to regional economic activity by creating opportunities across engineering, marine services, logistics and offshore support industries during both construction and operational phases.

Partnership Built on Offshore ExpertiseThe latest awards further strengthen the collaboration between Petrobras and SBM Offshore, which has delivered numerous FPSO projects for Brazil over the years.

Commenting on the announcement, SBM Offshore chief executive officer Øivind Tangen said the contracts reaffirm its long-term partnership with Petrobras. Tangen noted that the advanced gas treatment systems required for these developments align with SBM Offshore’s technical expertise and will help increase gas availability in northeastern Brazil.

The continued collaboration reflects the confidence both companies place in proven engineering solutions for increasingly complex offshore environments.

Supporting Brazil’s Next Phase of Offshore GrowthThe SEAP-I and SEAP-II developments illustrate how Brazil continues to invest in modern offshore infrastructure capable of supporting future production while improving operational efficiency.

As energy companies place greater emphasis on maximizing resource recovery and reducing environmental impact, advanced FPSOs have become central to offshore development strategies. Their ability to process oil and gas directly at sea reduces the need for extensive fixed infrastructure and enables production from remote deepwater reservoirs that would otherwise remain uneconomical.

For Petrobras, these projects represent another step toward expanding production capacity while strengthening domestic gas supply. For SBM Offshore, they reinforce its position as one of the industry's leading FPSO providers, with a proven track record of delivering complex offshore solutions.

With construction set to begin in the coming years and deliveries targeted for 2030 and 2031, the two FPSOs are poised to become important assets in Brazil’s evolving offshore energy landscape, supporting production growth and reinforcing the country's position as one of the world's leading deepwater oil and gas producers.

Can Nebius' $775M Debt Facility Accelerate Its Global AI Expansion?
NBIS Nebius Group
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways NBIS secured a $775 million senior secured debt facility to accelerate global AI infrastructure expansion.Nebius' financing is backed by deployed GPUs and contracted cash flows from an investment-grade customer.NBIS delivered another AI infrastructure capacity tranche to Microsoft and targets remaining deployments. As demand for AI training and inference continues to outpace supply, companies with access to capital and the ability to deploy GPU infrastructure quickly stand to benefit the most. Nebius Group N.V. (NBIS - Free Report) has taken a major step in strengthening its position by securing its first senior secured debt facility worth approximately $775 million. This debt financing strengthens its capital position, providing additional funding to accelerate global AI infrastructure expansion, increase compute capacity and support long-term revenue growth while reducing reliance on equity financing.

The transaction also signals that lenders are increasingly willing to finance AI infrastructure backed by contracted revenues, creating a scalable funding model that could support Nebius' long-term growth ambitions. The debt facility is backed by deployed GPU infrastructure and contracted cash flows from an investment-grade customer, rather than relying solely on corporate borrowing. Maturing in 2030 with an interest rate of SOFR+2.5%, the financing fully funds the underlying AI infrastructure through debt proceeds and customer cash flows. This structure is notable because the financing effectively covers more than 100% of the capital required to deploy the underlying GPU infrastructure.

Lenders were drawn to Nebius' high-quality customer base, which generated more than $40 billion in contracted revenue from investment-grade customers, including Microsoft (MSFT - Free Report) and Meta. Nebius has delivered another planned AI infrastructure capacity tranche to Microsoft and remains on track to complete the remaining deployments. The milestone underscores the company's capacity to deliver large-scale AI infrastructure projects for one of the world's largest AI compute customers.

However, Nebius operates in an increasingly competitive landscape that includes hyperscalers such as Microsoft Azure, as well as AI-focused providers like CoreWeave, Inc. (CRWV - Free Report) .

Inside the Financing Strategies of NBIS’ Market RivalsCRWV closed an $8.5 billion delayed draw term loan facility (DDTL 4.0) in April, highlighting how financial markets are evolving to support the explosive growth of AI. With the DDTL 4.0 Facility, CoreWeave can access capital in stages as it scales its infrastructure. Initially, it can borrow up to $7.5 billion, with the flexibility to expand to $8.5 billion as its underlying assets mature and stabilize. Also, in May, CoreWeave closed a $3.1 billion DDTL 5.0 Facility to support the expansion of its AI cloud platform and customer deployments. CoreWeave's enhanced financing engine has unlocked lower-cost capital, helping it raise more than $20 billion in debt and equity.

Microsoft's financial position remains strong but is becoming more capital intensive, reflecting a rising infrastructure burden that warrants investor attention. The company ended third-quarter fiscal 2026 with $78.3 billion in cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments, while current debt increased to $8.8 billion and long-term debt was $31.4 billion. The combination of elevated capital intensity, finance lease obligations and large AI infrastructure requirements suggests Microsoft has sacrificed some balance sheet flexibility to fund growth initiatives and shareholder distributions. This financial fragility leaves limited cushion to weather economic challenges or competitive pressures, increasing downside risk for equity holders.

NBIS Price Performance, Valuation and EstimatesShares of Nebius have gained 118.2% year to date compared with the Internet – Software and Services industry’s growth of 12.4%.

Billionaire Investor Howard Marks' Top 5 Holdings: A Buy at These Prices?
EXE Expand Energy
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Howard Marks hunts dislocation. His latest Oaktree 13F reveals five common-stock equity positions that look nothing like a bull-market portfolio: a leveraged turbo maker, the largest US gas producer bleeding YTD, a gold miner that just gave back a fifth of its price in three months, a tanker riding a geopolitical spike, and a specialty pharma with negative book value. Every one of these has moved sharply since the filing date. That’s the setup. Below, whether each is still a buy at today’s prices.

1. Garrett Motion (The Surprise Pick) Garrett Motion (NASDAQ:GTX) is the position hiding in plain sight. Turbochargers sound like a fading auto-parts story until you read the Q1 filing: commercial vehicle and industrial sales climbed, aftermarket demand is accelerating, and management is buying back stock at a scale that dwarfs the dividend. Marks is betting on the internal combustion engine having a longer, more profitable tail than the market prices in, not on electrification playing out on the Street’s timeline.

The Q1 2026 report made the case. EPS of $0.49 beat the $0.428 estimate by 14.49%, revenue of $985M beat by 6.59% and grew 12.2% year over year, and net income jumped 53.2% to $95M. Management raised the FY26 guide to net sales of $3.6B to $3.9B and adjusted free cash flow of $355M to $475M, and authorized a $250M buyback program for 2026 on top of $87M already repurchased in Q1.

The stock has already responded. GTX is up 82.26% year to date and 171.99% over one year, and trades at roughly 18 times trailing earnings against an analyst price target of $35.67. That’s a low-single-digit percent of upside to consensus after a monster run. The buyback backstop supports the stock at current prices, with a more compelling risk/reward on any pullback into the high $20s. Marks got there first. Whether you follow is now a question of entry, not thesis.

2. Expand Energy (The Gas Heavyweight) Expand Energy (NASDAQ:EXE | EXE Price Prediction) is the largest common-stock position in Marks’ book and the most bruised. The post-Southwestern merger left EXE as the largest US natural gas producer, which sounds like a category winner until you look at the stock. YTD, this stock has done the opposite of what the fundamentals suggest it should.

Q1 2026 was a blowout. Revenue of $4.40B crushed the $3.05B estimate by 43.96% and doubled year over year, net income surged 565% to $1.16B, and free cash flow hit $1.70B, up 218%. The company redeemed roughly $1.3B of gross debt year to date, ran $150M in buybacks, and locked in a 20-year LNG supply agreement with Delfin FLNG for about 1.15M tonnes per year targeting 2031. And yet shares are down 19.19% YTD and down 19.20% since Marks’ filing snapshot of March 31, 2026.

The disconnect is the trade. EXE trades at 7 times trailing earnings versus an analyst target of $125.32, with 3 strong-buy, 17 buy, and 6 hold ratings. Sentiment reads bullish at 63.79 with medium confidence. This screens as the cleanest setup on the list at current prices. Marks accumulated. The market handed him a lower entry after the fact. That’s a gift, not a warning.

3. AngloGold Ashanti (The Gold Heavyweight) AngloGold Ashanti (NYSE:AU) is the macro trade inside a value portfolio. Gold has run. AU has run harder. And now it’s giving some back.

The fundamentals remain unmistakable. Gold price received per ounce climbed 69% year over year, the Sukari mine acquired via Centamin in November 2024 is fully integrated, and management declared a record interim dividend of $585M, or 116 cents per share, under a 50% of free cash flow policy. The Arthur Gold discovery in Nevada added substantial new reserves. One year of stock performance: up 71.21%. Three months of stock performance since Marks’ filing snapshot: down 20.64%.

Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Expand Energy didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.

At 11 times trailing earnings, a 5.81% dividend yield, and an analyst target of $114 against a current $76.55, the setup looks like a buy. The catch: news sentiment scores neutral at 56.30 with low confidence, and one analyst carries a sell rating against three strong-buys and four buys. AU screens attractively on this drawdown, with volatility argued for smaller sizing. The pullback is the entry Marks didn’t get.

4. TORM plc (The Rate Spike Trade) TORM (NASDAQ:TRMD) is the position where the catalyst is on the front page. The Strait of Hormuz closure tied to the US/Israel-Iran conflict constrained roughly 14% of global clean petroleum product flows, and TORM’s fleet sits directly in the rerouting. Product tanker rates went vertical.

Fleet-wide time charter equivalent rates rose 30% year over year to $34,937 per day, LR2 spot rates jumped 73% to $50,811 per day, and 57% of Q2 earning days were already covered at an average $71,494 per day. Management raised the FY26 guide to TCE earnings of $1.15B to $1.45B and EBITDA of $800M to $1.10B. A $0.70 interim dividend equal to 58% of net profit went out the door.

The trade is where the trap lives. TRMD is up 58.04% YTD and 84.95% over one year, trading at 9 times trailing earnings and 5 times forward earnings with a 9.45% dividend yield. Analyst target: $34.50, roughly where the 52-week high sits, against one buy and one hold rating. The forward multiple screams cheap; the ratings tell you the Street thinks rates normalize. The yield anchors the thesis; position sizing should assume rates fade. If Hormuz reopens, the cushion is that dividend.

5. Indivior (The Payoff) Indivior (NASDAQ:INDV) is what happens when the market gives up on a stock right before the operating leverage kicks in. Marks bought when the stock was ugly. The price has since caught up.

Q1 2026 obliterated estimates. EPS of $0.96 crushed the $0.66 estimate by 45.45%, revenue of $317M beat by 16.19% and grew 19.2%, net income jumped 89% to $89M, and adjusted EBITDA margin expanded to 52% from 29% year over year. The single asset driving it: SUBLOCADE net revenue of $232M, up 32% year over year, with US dispense units up 20% and a record 31,800 new patient starts. Management raised FY26 revenue guidance to $1.215B to $1.285B and adjusted EBITDA to $620M to $660M, roughly 50% higher year over year at the midpoint.

The TAM math is what makes this the payoff slot. 7.8M Americans misuse opioids, 4.8M are diagnosed with OUD, only 2.0M receive BMAT, and long-acting injectable penetration of about 8.5% is expected to grow to 20% to 30%. INDV trades at 13 times forward earnings against an analyst target of $50.83, with one strong-buy and five buy ratings and zero holds or sells. Shares are up 33.17% since the filing snapshot and 160.19% over one year. This screens as compelling at current prices with a runway measured in years.

The Bottom Line Marks’ top-five equity book is a study in mispricing. EXE screens as the clearest setup, priced below where Marks accumulated. AU is the volatility trade, on sale after a sharp pullback. INDV is the compounder the market kept mistaking for a lawsuit. TRMD and GTX have already run, and now demand discipline on entry. The window on the first three is the one closing fastest.

Expand Energy (EXE) Earnings Expected to Grow: What to Know Ahead of Next Week's Release
EXE Expand Energy
FMP Stock News

Wall Street expects a year-over-year increase in earnings on lower revenues when Expand Energy (EXE - Free Report) reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. While this widely-known consensus outlook is important in gauging the company's earnings picture, a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.

The stock might move higher if these key numbers top expectations in the upcoming earnings report, which is expected to be released on July 28. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.

While management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call will mostly determine the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations, it's worth having a handicapping insight into the odds of a positive EPS surprise.

Zacks Consensus EstimateThis oil and gas company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $1.16 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +5.5%.

Revenues are expected to be $2.01 billion, down 0.4% from the year-ago quarter.

Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 3.46% lower over the last 30 days to the current level.

Our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) -- has this insight at its core.

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Expand Energy? For Expand Energy, the Most Accurate Estimate is lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bearish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -1.82%.

On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #4.

So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Expand Energy will beat the consensus EPS estimate.

Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue?Analysts often consider to what extent a company has been able to match consensus estimates in the past while calculating their estimates for its future earnings. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.

For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Expand Energy would post earnings of $3.69 per share when it actually produced earnings of $3.83, delivering a surprise of +3.79%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates three times.

Expand Energy doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

UDR to Post Q2 Earnings: Is the Stock a Portfolio Must-Have?
UDR UDR
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways UDR is expected to post modest revenue growth, while adjusted FFO per share may edge lower year over year.UDR expects higher NOI, strong occupancy and share repurchases to support sequential FFO growth.UDR continues to benefit from improving coastal markets, while weaker Sunbelt pricing remains a risk. UDR Inc. (UDR - Free Report) , a premier multifamily real estate investment trust (REIT), is set to announce its second-quarter 2026 results after the closing bell on July 27. Its quarterly results are likely to reflect growth in revenues but a dip in funds from operations (FFO) per share.

In the last reported quarter, this Denver, CO-based residential REIT came up with an FFO as adjusted per share of 62 cents, in line with the Zacks Consensus Estimate. Results reflected year-over-year growth in rental rates, while expense growth weighed on same-store net operating income (NOI).

In the last four quarters, UDR’s FFO as adjusted per share met the Zacks Consensus Estimate on two occasions and surpassed it on the other two, the average surprise being 1.60%. The graph below depicts the surprise history of the company:

As we approach the release of UDR's second-quarter 2026 earnings report, it is important to examine how this residential REIT is likely to have performed amid the current market conditions.

US Apartment Market in Q2The U.S. multifamily market entered the second half of 2026 with a clearer recovery taking shape, as strong renter demand and a rapidly shrinking supply pipeline began translating into lower vacancy and improving rent growth.

According to a Cushman & Wakefield report, net absorption reached roughly 124,600 units, up from 83,500 units in the first quarter and 8% above the prior year, making it the fifth-strongest quarter in nearly 25 years. The supply picture also became more favorable. Approximately 88,000 units were delivered during the quarter, down 27% year over year. Around 475,000 units remained under construction at quarter-end, equal to just 3.5% of existing inventory.

Improving demand and slowing supply pushed the national vacancy rate down 35 basis points quarter over quarter to 8.9%, its first move below 9% since 2024. On a trailing four-quarter basis, absorption of approximately 362,000 units exceeded deliveries of about 358,000 units for the first time since early 2022, indicating vacancy is likely to have passed its cyclical peak. The recovery was particularly pronounced in previously overbuilt markets: Austin; Charleston, SC; Savannah, GA; Huntsville, AL; Salt Lake City, UT, and Colorado Springs recorded some of the largest quarterly vacancy declines.

Rent growth remains modest but is beginning to improve. National asking rents reached approximately $1,945 per month, up 1.5% year over year, compared with 1.1% growth in the first quarter. The Bay Area led the recovery, with San Francisco rents rising 13%, San Jose 7% and the East Bay 4.8%. Norfolk, Toledo, Reno and Boise also posted strong gains.

High-supply markets remained softer, with rents still declining in Austin and Sarasota, although the pace of those declines moderated as excess supply was absorbed. Overall, the market appears to be shifting from stabilization into an occupancy-led recovery, with broader rent growth likely as the construction pipeline continues to shrink.

Factors to Consider Ahead of UDR’s Upcoming ResultsUDR enters second-quarter 2026 results with operating trends largely on plan. Management expects blended lease rate growth of 1.5% to 2% and occupancy in the mid-96% range, with April performance still near the first-quarter level of 1.6%. Coastal markets remain the main growth driver, with San Francisco and New York showing the strongest rent gains, while Dallas continues to improve.

Renewals should remain supportive, with offers running around 5% to 5.5% and signed renewals expected within roughly 100 basis points of that range. Record resident retention and lower turnover should help protect occupancy, reduce operating costs and support cash flow. However, some Sunbelt markets, particularly Florida and Nashville, softened in April and could limit upside.

For earnings, UDR guided second-quarter adjusted FFO to $0.62-$0.64 per share, with the midpoint of $0.63 implying about 2% sequential growth. The improvement is expected to come from higher NOI and accretion from share repurchases funded by asset sales. Overall, the quarter should show steady revenue growth, solid occupancy and better sequential earnings, though expense pressure and weaker Sunbelt pricing remain key risks.

Projections for UDRAmid these, we expect occupancy to stay elevated at 96.7%, a 10-basis-point improvement sequentially. We estimate same-store revenues to grow 1.2% year over year for the second quarter.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for quarterly revenues is currently pegged at $425.19 million. This indicates a marginal year-over-year rise.

Before the second-quarter earnings release, the company’s activities were inadequate to gain analysts’ confidence. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the quarterly FFO as adjusted per share has remained unrevised at 62 cents over the past three months, suggesting a 1.56% decrease year over year.

Here Is What Our Quantitative Model Predicts for UDROur proven model does not conclusively predict a surprise in terms of core FFO per share for UDR this season. The combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold) increases the chances of an FFO beat, which is not the case here.

UDR currently carries a Zacks Rank of 3 and has an Earnings ESP of 0.00%. You can uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they’re reported with our Earnings ESP Filter.

Stocks That Warrant a LookHere are two stocks from the broader REIT sector — SL Green Realty (SLG - Free Report) and Cousins Properties (CUZ - Free Report) — you may want to consider, as our model shows that these have the right combination of elements to report an FFO beat this quarter.

SL Green is slated to report quarterly numbers on July 22. SLG has an Earnings ESP of +7.20% and a Zacks Rank of 3 at present. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank stocks here.

Cousins is slated to report quarterly numbers on July 30. CUZ has an Earnings ESP of +0.45% and a Zacks Rank of 3 at present.

Note: Anything related to earnings presented in this write-up represents funds from operations (FFO) — a widely used metric to gauge the performance of REITs.

On top of the Zacks Rank, investors can also look at our innovative Style Scores system to find stocks with specific traits. For example, value investors will want to focus on the "Value" category. Stocks with high Zacks Ranks and "A" grades for Value will be some of the highest-quality value stocks on the market today.

One stock to keep an eye on is BuildABear Workshop (BBW - Free Report) . BBW is currently sporting a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), as well as a Value grade of A.

Investors should also recognize that BBW has a P/B ratio of 6.21. The P/B ratio pits a stock's market value against its book value, which is defined as total assets minus total liabilities. This stock's P/B looks solid versus its industry's average P/B of 10.04. Over the past 12 months, BBW's P/B has been as high as 6.45 and as low as 3.13, with a median of 4.08.

Finally, investors should note that BBW has a P/CF ratio of 12.96. This metric focuses on a firm's operating cash flow and is often used to find stocks that are undervalued based on the strength of their cash outlook. BBW's current P/CF looks attractive when compared to its industry's average P/CF of 16.75. Over the past 52 weeks, BBW's P/CF has been as high as 13.45 and as low as 6.56, with a median of 8.05.

These are only a few of the key metrics included in BuildABear Workshop's strong Value grade, but they help show that the stock is likely undervalued right now. When factoring in the strength of its earnings outlook, BBW looks like an impressive value stock at the moment.

Can AI Infrastructure Demand Accelerate NVTS' Long-Term Growth?
NVTS Navitas Semiconductor
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Navitas Semiconductor is shifting toward AI infrastructure and high-power markets to drive growth.NVTS launched new GaN and SiC products as customers advance AI power projects toward commercialization.NVTS expects higher Q2 2026 revenues and margins as AI infrastructure demand continues to expand. Navitas Semiconductor (NVTS - Free Report) is making AI infrastructure the main focus of its business. The company has shifted away from its mobile and low-end consumer business and is now focused on high-power markets, including AI data centers and grid infrastructure. Management said AI is driving demand for its gallium nitride (GaN) and silicon carbide (SiC) power chips, while robust demand in AI infrastructure is helping the company return to revenue growth.

The shift is already showing results. First-quarter 2026 revenues increased 18% sequentially to $8.6 million. Revenues from high-power markets grew 35% year over year and now account for most of the company's revenues. Further, the AI infrastructure business, which includes AI data centers and grid infrastructure revenues, grew 50% sequentially, and the company expects this business to continue growing through the rest of 2026.

Navitas Semiconductor is also introducing new products for AI power systems. During the first quarter, it launched a 20-kilowatt GaN platform for AI data centers and new Gen 5 SiC products for AI power supplies. Management said customers are evaluating these products, and several projects have moved from device testing to board-level testing. The company believes offering both GaN and SiC products helps it support a wider range of AI power applications.

Management expects AI infrastructure to remain its largest growth opportunity. As AI data centers require more power, demand for efficient power chips is expected to increase. The company expects second-quarter 2026 revenues to grow 16% on a sequential basis, while gross margins are expected to improve 75 basis points sequentially. As AI infrastructure spending continues to grow, Navitas remains well-positioned to benefit from higher demand for its GaN and SiC products.

How Competitors Fare Against NVTSThe company faces strong competition from ON Semiconductor (ON - Free Report) and STMicroelectronics (STM - Free Report) in the race to supply high-voltage solutions for AI data centers.

In June 2026, ON Semiconductor introduced GaNEXUS, a new GaN power semiconductor portfolio designed for AI data centers, industrial automation, robotics and energy infrastructure applications. This new portfolio includes GaNEXUS FETs with voltage ratings from 40V to 650V, along with 650V GaNEXUS Smart devices that include built-in protection features to simplify system design and improve reliability. The new devices provide faster switching speeds, lower switching losses, higher power density and better thermal performance than conventional silicon-based power devices to help customers build smaller and more efficient power systems.

STMicroelectronics introduced new 700V GaN power semiconductors in May 2026, designed to improve energy efficiency and power density in AI servers, robotics, industrial systems and advanced consumer applications. The new PowerGaN devices are designed for high-voltage power supplies and support reliable operation in high-power applications. The devices should help improve power conversion efficiency beyond what is possible with conventional silicon-based technologies.

IREN Limited NASDAQ: IREN recently sent a signal to the broader equity markets. A $2.8 billion contract haul does not just change a quarterly earnings trajectory.

It entirely rewrites the fundamental valuation matrix of the underlying business. IREN’s stock price jumped nearly 20% on the news, erasing a brutal trailing 30-day drawdown and closing above $40 per share. The market is waking up to a stark reality.

Get IREN alerts:

The underlying infrastructure operator is no longer a legacy Bitcoin (BTC) miner tethered to the cyclical volatility of digital assets. IREN Limited is morphing into a tier-one artificial intelligence (AI) compute provider.

Crypto Volatility Meets Cloud StabilityThe valuation disconnect between legacy digital asset operations and utility-grade cloud hosting is profound. When you sit down to build a discounted cash flow model, projecting daily digital asset mining revenue introduces high variables. Institutional capital historically applies heavy discount rates to those models to account for the unpredictable nature of block rewards and underlying asset price swings. High-performance computing and artificial intelligence cloud hosting command premium multiples based on sticky, recurring revenue and long-term counterparty agreements. IREN Limited is actively bridging that gap, forcing an immediate revaluation.

Compiling the Code on $2.8 Billion in AI ContractsThe catalyst driving this repricing is an influx of multi-year artificial intelligence cloud services contracts totaling $2.8 billion. The agreements push the 2026 annualized run-rate revenue target from $3.7 billion to over $4 billion. More importantly, approximately 85% of the newly revised $4 billion annualized target is already under contract.

Revenue visibility changes how analysts evaluate long-term equity growth. Moving from daily digital asset revenue to a weighted-average contract term of four years transforms the balance sheet. The customer base now includes heavyweights like Microsoft NASDAQ: MSFT, NVIDIA NASDAQ: NVDA, Perplexity, and Figure AI.

Microsoft acts as the anchor hyperscaler, having initiated a $9.7 billion, five-year agreement in late 2025. When entities of this caliber sign multi-year deals, it serves as supreme technical validation. It proves the infrastructure built by IREN Limited meets tier-one commercial standards for uptime, cooling, and latency.

Building out self-hosted cloud capacity is brutally capital-intensive, requiring immense upfront expenditures on advanced silicon. IREN Limited successfully negotiated customer prepayments covering approximately 45% of the associated capital expenditures for graphics processing units. Securing customer-funded infrastructure growth reduces net funding requirements and drastically accelerates the timeline to achieve free cash flow positivity.

Overclocking the Balance Sheet With $2.6 BillionScaling self-built artificial intelligence cloud capacity from three megawatts to a targeted 480 megawatts for delivery by the end of 2026 requires staggering amounts of capital. The baseline balance sheet shows $2.21 billion in cash and cash equivalents, providing substantial liquidity. The mechanism behind that liquidity reveals a highly sophisticated corporate finance strategy.

In May 2026, IREN Limited priced an upsized $2.6 billion convertible senior notes offering due in 2033, carrying a remarkably low 1.00% interest rate. Securing low-cost debt is the lifeblood of physical infrastructure expansion. It provides immediate liquidity for the subsequent 1.2-gigawatt target in 2027 without tapping traditional, high-yield credit markets, which would drag down net margins.

Convertible debt often triggers panic over equity dilution, a fear recently exacerbated by a retention equity package granted to the co-CEOs that resulted in a 6% aggregate stake. Management actively hedged the underlying equity against convertible debt by executing $174.5 million in capped call transactions.

A capped call is an options strategy utilized by corporations to offset potential dilution when debt holders inevitably convert their notes into shares. By executing these transactions, the dilution threshold is pushed out to $110.30 per share. This financial engineering neutralizes the near-term dilution overhang, allowing the $2.6 billion war chest to fund the 480-megawatt expansion without punishing current shareholders. Options chain data reveals heavy institutional speculation targeting that exact conversion price, exhibiting extreme implied volatility skew as sophisticated capital front-runs the upside repricing.

Evaluating IREN’s stock requires looking past the backward-looking metrics. The trailing price-to-earnings ratio is elevated at 83.75, following a slight third-quarter earnings miss of negative 25 cents per share. Traditional value screens flag this as expensive. Fundamental analysis of rapidly transitioning businesses requires evaluating forward-looking annualized run-rate revenue relative to enterprise value.

Legacy data center real estate investment trusts offer consistent dividend yields and mature margins, which earn them premium valuation multiples. The neocloud sector is aggressively attempting to command those same multiples. The broader macro environment confirms this revaluation framework. Competitors are executing similar maneuvers. Hut 8 Corp. NASDAQ: HUT fully commercialized its one-gigawatt Texas campus by signing a second 15-year, $9.8 billion lease. TeraWulf Inc. NASDAQ: WULF executed a 20-year, $19 billion lease with Anthropic.

These decadal leases demonstrate that long-term, fixed-cost power agreements command heavy premiums when redirected toward specialized compute. As IREN Limited phases out legacy mining operations and transitions entirely to high-margin infrastructure, the price-to-earnings ratio will naturally compress through sheer earnings growth, driving the multiple expansion that retail and institutional investors are currently chasing.

Avoiding System Failure in Local Interconnection QueuesThe transition presents structural risks. The primary bottleneck for artificial intelligence is no longer purely silicon procurement, but rather localized grid congestion and power availability. Regional energy headwinds present structural risks to expected margin profiles.

If the 480-megawatt capacity rollout faces interconnection delays due to transformer shortages or grid instability, revenue realization will slip. The neocloud model also faces long-term structural risks if hyperscalers accelerate the construction of proprietary, off-grid data centers, potentially compressing third-party operators' future pricing power.

These macro headwinds inadvertently strengthen the underlying thesis. If power is scarce and grid interconnection queues stretch for years, existing, fully energized sites become exponentially more valuable. Securing 1.2 gigawatts of energized capacity creates an almost insurmountable barrier to entry for new competitors.

Pressing Enter on the Physical Economy ShiftThe transition from digital asset generation to enterprise-grade artificial intelligence infrastructure requires flawless execution, substantial capital, and highly vetted counterparties. The recent $2.8 billion contract expansion fundamentally de-risks the revenue model over the next four years.

Cautious investors may prefer to monitor the ongoing 480-megawatt deployment for any grid interconnection delays before initiating a position. Those prioritizing structural shifts in the physical economy might view current volatility as an opportunity, adding the stock to their watchlists as the broader market slowly prices in the eventual shift toward a legacy data center valuation matrix.

IREN Expands AI Cloud Platform: Can It Sustain the Momentum?
IREN IREN
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways IREN signed $2.8B in AI cloud contracts with leading AI developers across infrastructure and managed services.IREN raised its 2026 AI Cloud ARR target above $4B, with about 85% already under contract.Recent customer prepayments cover about 45% of related GPU capital spending, reducing upfront funding needs. IREN Limited (IREN - Free Report) continues to strengthen its AI cloud business, signing $2.8 billion in new multi-year contracts with leading AI developers, underscoring robust demand for its infrastructure and cloud services. The agreements, covering both bare-metal infrastructure and managed cloud offerings, include customers such as Microsoft, NVIDIA, Perplexity, Figure AI, Together AI, Fluidstack, Fireworks AI, Fal AI, Hume AI and another undisclosed AI developer.

Supported by this demand, IREN raised its year-end 2026 AI Cloud annualized run-rate revenue (ARR) target to more than $4 billion, up from $3.7 billion. About 85% of the revised target is already under contract, enhancing revenue visibility. Recent customer agreements also include prepayments covering roughly 45% of related GPU capital expenditure, helping reduce the company's upfront funding needs. To support future growth, IREN plans to expand AI Cloud capacity to 480 MW by the end of 2026 and 1.2 GW in 2027, up from roughly 3 MW a year ago.

The company also recently completed the acquisition of Spain-based Nostrum Group, marking its entry into Europe. The deal adds approximately 490 MW of secured, grid-connected power, an additional development pipeline and a team of more than 50 specialists, strengthening IREN's ability to meet growing AI infrastructure demand across the region.

IREN's growing customer base, expanding capacity and European expansion reinforce its ambition to become a leading global AI cloud infrastructure provider. While execution remains key, the combination of long-term contracts, customer-backed investments and strategic expansion positions the company to benefit from the accelerating adoption of AI computing.

How Are IREN’s Competitors Faring?CoreWeave (CRWV - Free Report) operates a GPU-focused AI cloud. CRWV surpassed 1 GW of active power, secured more than 3.5 GW of contracted power and targets more than 8 GW by 2030. CRWV’s revenue backlog is nearly $100 billion.

Wall Street analyst sets SNDK stock price target for 12 months
SNDK Sandisk
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Although Sandisk Corp. (NASDAQ: SNDK) stock price has plunged over 30% during the past 30 days, Mark Newman, a Wall Street analyst from Bernstein, has reiterated a bullish outlook over the next 12 months.

Newman reaffirmed a Buy rating for the SNDK stock, according to a note sent to clients on July 21. The analyst further maintained a 12-month price target for SNDK stock at $3,000, thereby projecting a 115.68% upside.

Late last month, Newman raised the firm’s 12-month price target for Sandisk Corp. stock from $1,700 to $3,000. The Outperform rating for Sandisk stock was based on long-term agreements (LTAs), which provide structural pricing protection and reduce the company’s earnings volatility.

Bernstein estimates that the memory maker’s fiscal 2030 earnings per share (EPS) would still reach $214 with 60% of volumes covered by LTAs. As such, the firm increased its base-case estimates to $243 and $272 for fiscal year 2027 and 2028, respectively.

SNDK stock forecast and performance Following Newman’s affirmed SNDK stock forecast for 12 months, 17 Wall Street analysts surveyed by TipRanks have set an average price target of $2,041.88, suggesting a potential 36.76% upside.

SNDK stock forecast. Source: TipRanks These Wall Street analysts have issued a Strong Buy rating for SanDisk Corp. stock despite rising fears of an AI stock bubble burst, as Finbold pointed out. Earlier this week, Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) said the sell-off in U.S. memory stocks has created a compelling entry point.

Furthermore, the bank’s thesis is that the longer-term memory shortage could intensify in 2027 and 2028.

“There isn’t enough memory vs. AI requirements, and we just don’t see that changing,” Morgan Stanley reported.

Over the past 24 hours, Sandisk stock price has surged more than 11%, trading at roughly $1,496.66 at press time.

Prediction: Poet Technologies Will Trade at This Price in 2027
POET POET Technologies
FMP Stock News
Original source text
© Gumbariya / Shutterstock.com

POET Technologies (NASDAQ:POET) builds optical interposers and photonic engines that let hyperscale data centers move data with light instead of copper. Revenue jumped 201.86% year over year in Q1 2026, yet shares are stuck at $8.33. Can POET shares hit $25 by 2027?

Why POET Shares Are Stuck Despite Explosive Revenue Growth The setup looks bullish on paper. POET is up 18.01% YTD, but the recent price action has broken down badly: down 6.63% in the past week and down 38.52% over the past month.

Multiple class action complaints filed in late June 2026 allege POET misrepresented its Passive Foreign Investment Company status, and separate filings tie in a confidentiality breach by CFO Thomas Mika that reportedly caused Celestial AI (now part of Marvell) to cancel purchase orders.

CEO Mika announced his retirement on July 8, 2026. Add a $400 million direct offering announced July 8 and dilution fear stacks on governance fear. Beta of 0.764 understates the actual volatility here.

Wall Street Sees Roughly 110% Upside. Our Model Says More The Street’s consensus 12-month target sits at $17.50, backed by one Buy rating, zero Holds, and zero Sells. Bullish sentiment among covering analysts is 100%. Our base case for 2027 is more aggressive at $22.23, implying 166.87% upside, with a bull case of $22.89 and a bear case of $16.61. Confidence on that base case is moderate at 0.5.

Wall Street anchors too heavily on the single covering analyst and ignores the Lumilens deal’s optionality. With only one sell-side voice, the consensus is thin. That gap is exactly why a $25 stretch target is worth stress testing.

The Path to $25 Per Share Reaching $25 from today’s price of $8.33 would require a gain of 200.1%. With forward EPS of -$0.88, a price of $25 implies a forward P/E of -28x. That number is not usable in a traditional sense because POET is not yet profitable. The story rests on revenue scale rather than P/E compression.

The bull thesis: POET converts its Lumilens design win into recurring revenue as its Malaysia facility ramps to high-volume 800G production in Q3 2026 and targets more than 30,000 optical engine shipments in 2026.

Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Poet Technologies didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.

CEO Suresh Venkatesan called it “an important commercial milestone… establishes the framework for what we believe could become a substantial long-term supplier relationship supporting frontier AI infrastructure”.

Risk: continued dilution or a customer qualification miss guts the ramp.

Where POET Trades Today vs Its Earnings Power POET is a revenue-scale story, not yet a P/E story. It trades at a price-to-book multiple of about 3x, below the semiconductor industry average, with roughly $430 million in cash providing runway.

Shares sit inside a 52-week range of $3.87 to $20.81, closer to the lows than the highs. The 10-year total return is a modest 10.78%. It is a call option on Malaysia execution and AI networking demand. If the 800G ramp lands and Lumilens scales, the current market cap looks small versus the revenue POET could book by late 2027.

Is $25 Realistic? Here’s My Take Hitting $25 by 2027 requires a gain of 200.1% from here, a stretch scenario rather than a base case.

Three things need to go right: the Malaysia facility must hit high-volume 800G production on schedule, Lumilens must convert its $50 million initial order into follow-on business, and the class action overhang must fade. What derails it is another dilutive raise before revenue scales. We’ve outlined the blueprint for how Poet Technologies could reach $25 in 2027.

Can ONDS Turn Its Australian Defense Win Into a Bigger Global Pipeline?
ONDS Ondas Holdings
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways ONDS won a $6.9M Australian defense order for DTIM Single Operator Counter-sUAS Kits.Ondas' AI-powered DTIM Kits let one operator detect, track, identify and mitigate hostile drones.ONDS added defense wins across the Asia-Pacific and Europe as global counter-UAS demand grows. Ondas Inc. (ONDS - Free Report) recently bolstered its growing defense portfolio with a $6.9 million order from Australia’s Department of Defense for its DTIM (Detect, Track, Identify and Mitigate) Single Operator Counter-sUAS Kits. The order, awarded through Australian defense distributor HIFraser, validates Ondas' expanding defense strategy following its acquisition of DZYNE Technologies and strengthens its foothold among allied defense customers. DZYNE's counter-drone business now operates under Ondas Sentinel, the company's dedicated U.S. defense division.

Ondas' portable DTIM Kits enable a single operator to detect, track, identify and neutralize hostile drones using AI-powered detection, long-range surveillance (more than 25 km), Remote ID/AeroScope tracking, the integrated Dronebuster (DB4) mitigation system, optional PNT attack capability and TAK integration. The compact all-in-one solution is well suited for military patrols, border security, special operations and other rapidly deployable defense missions. More than 3,000 Dronebuster units have already been fielded globally, providing Ondas with an important credibility advantage.

Countries across Europe, the Asia-Pacific and the Middle East are all investing heavily in counter-UAS technologies. In 2026, Ondas has secured several international defense deals that indicate increasing global demand for its autonomous systems. In February, ONDS’ subsidiary Airobotics secured a multi-phase defense contract with a government customer in the Asia-Pacific region, with initial deliveries starting in 2026 and follow-up orders expected as deployments expand. ONDS has also secured multi-million-dollar orders in Europe for its Iron Drone Raider counter-UAS system, which protects major airport infrastructure in a NATO country, as well as a $20 million autonomous border protection order involving AI-driven drone deployment and command-and-control systems.

Nonetheless, competition remains intense from larger defense contractors with established global customer relationships and broader product portfolios such as Draganfly (DPRO - Free Report) and RTX Corporation (RTX - Free Report) .

ONDS vs. the Defense Tech CompetitionIn May, DPRO and F4 Defense International secured an initial DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory contract to develop a modular, rapidly deployable counter-drone system that integrates tethered aerial platforms with drone detection, tracking, targeting and defeat capabilities for enhanced situational awareness and defense in contested environments. First-quarter revenue rose 49.4%, driven by a 44.8% increase in product sales. Quarterly sales were aided by strong demand from military customers, including an FPV drone order from the U.S. Army, reflecting its growing relationship with an existing defense customer. DPRO expanded its defense portfolio through the acquisition of Skip Dynamix's drone technology assets.

RTX is supported by a steady recovery in commercial aerospace, strong defense orders and a robust backlog. Heightened geopolitical tensions are leading to steadily increasing defense spending. RTX is strongly positioned in the missile and air-defense segment, which offers both short-term benefits and long-term gains. The ongoing tensions between Russia and Ukraine (and related rearmament efforts of NATO countries), between China and Taiwan (and related alliances in the South China Sea), and the war in the Middle East are leading to increased defense spending, creating significant opportunities. It won several notable defense contracts during the first quarter, which resulted in solid bookings of $14 billion and a record backlog of $271 billion.

ONDS’ Price Performance, Valuation and EstimatesIn response to the announcement, ONDS’s stock went up 5.3% in trading yesterday. Shares of ONDS have declined 22.7% in the past month against the Zacks Wireless-National industry’s jump of 99.6%.

In terms of the forward 12-month Price/Sales ratio, ONDS is trading at 4.53, lower than the industry’s multiple of 7.72.

For ONDS, earnings estimates for the current year have been revised significantly downwards in the past 60 days.

FUTU Shareholder Alert: Futu Holdings Limited Securities Class Action Lawsuit - Investors With Losses May Contact SueWallSt
FUTU Futu Holdings
FMP Stock News
Original source text
NEW YORK, July 21, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SueWallSt encourages investors who suffered losses in Futu Holdings Limited (NASDAQ: FUTU) to contact the firm. Those who purchased FUTU securities between May 24, 2023 and May 27, 2026 may be entitled to recover damages. Find out if you might qualify for recovery or contact Joseph E. Levi, Esq. at [email protected] or (888) SueWallSt.

FUTU shares lost $34.10 per share, a 27.5% decline, on May 22, 2026, after the CSRC proposed a penalty of approximately RMB 1.85 billion (USD 271 million) for conducting unlicensed securities, fund sales, and futures business in mainland China.

What the Company Disclosed in SEC Filings

Futu's annual reports on Form 20-F for fiscal years 2023 and 2024 acknowledged the CSRC's December 2022 inquiry and stated the Company had "taken and may continue to take rectification measures." The filings warned that "there can be no assurance that our rectification measures would fully meet the requirements from the CSRC" and that the Company had "limited information to accurately predict if any disciplinary action or punishment will be taken."

The risk factor language was framed as forward-looking and conditional: penalties "may" occur, regulatory actions "could" have an adverse impact, and the CSRC "may" impose fines.

What the Complaint Alleges Was Missing

The complaint challenges the adequacy of these disclosures by alleging that Futu knew far more than its conditional language suggested. According to the action, while telling investors that future penalties were uncertain possibilities:

Futu was actively conducting securities business, public fund sales, and futures business in mainland China without the requisite licenses or CSRC approvalThe Company continued soliciting business from mainland Chinese investors despite the December 2022 ban on opening new accountsFinancial results reported throughout the Class Period were allegedly overstated because they included revenue from these unlicensed operationsThe Company's "rectification measures" were allegedly insufficient, as the very operations the CSRC had flagged continued Regulatory Reality vs. Boilerplate Warnings

The securities action contends there is a critical distinction between warning investors that penalties "may" occur in the future and disclosing that the underlying conduct triggering those penalties was ongoing. By the time Futu filed its FY2023 20-F in April 2024, the CSRC had already publicly identified the Company's cross-border operations as unauthorized. The Futubull app had been removed from Chinese app stores in May 2023. Yet each quarterly earnings release continued to tout growing client numbers, rising total client assets, and increasing trading volumes without disclosing the regulatory exposure attached to that growth.

Why Generic Warnings Allegedly Did Not Protect Investors

The lawsuit maintains that Futu's risk factor language amounted to generic, hypothetical warnings that failed to disclose specific, known problems. Stating that penalties "may" be imposed while allegedly knowing the Company was operating in violation of CSRC requirements transforms a forward-looking caution into an alleged material omission. When the CSRC's RMB 1.85 billion proposed penalty was disclosed on May 22, 2026, the gap between what was warned and what was known allegedly became clear.

"Generic risk factor language cannot substitute for disclosing specific, known problems that are already affecting a company's operations. When a company warns of hypothetical penalties while allegedly continuing the conduct that makes those penalties inevitable, investors deserve to know the difference." -- Joseph E. Levi, Esq.

Frequently Asked Questions About the FUTU Lawsuit

Q: What specific misstatements does the FUTU lawsuit allege? A: The complaint alleges Futu Holdings made materially false or misleading statements regarding its compliance with CSRC regulatory requirements, including by using conditional risk factor language that framed regulatory penalties as hypothetical possibilities while the Company was allegedly continuing the unlicensed operations that made those penalties likely. When the RMB 1.85 billion proposed penalty was disclosed, the stock price declined sharply.

Q: When did Futu Holdings allegedly mislead investors? A: The class period runs from May 24, 2023 to May 27, 2026. Throughout this period, Futu's quarterly earnings releases and annual SEC filings allegedly failed to disclose that the Company was not in compliance with CSRC requirements and was continuing to conduct unlicensed securities business in mainland China.

Q: What do FUTU investors need to do right now? A: Investors may gather brokerage records showing purchase dates, share quantities, and prices paid. Contact SueWallSt, a brand of Levi & Korsinsky LLP, for a no-cost, no-obligation case evaluation at [email protected] or (212) 363-7500. No immediate action is required to remain eligible as an absent class member.

Q: What if I already sold my FUTU shares -- can I still recover losses? A: Yes. Eligibility is based on when you purchased, not whether you still hold them. Investors who bought during the class period and sold at a loss may still participate.

Q: Do I need to go to court or give testimony? A: No. The overwhelming majority of class members never appear in court or give depositions. You submit a claim form to receive your portion of recovery.

Q: What does it cost me to participate? A: Nothing. Securities class actions are handled on a pure contingency basis. No upfront fees, no retainer, no out-of-pocket costs.

Q: What if I missed the lead plaintiff deadline? A: The deadline applies only to investors seeking lead plaintiff appointment. Class members who miss it can still participate in any settlement or recovery.

Seagate (STX) Earnings Expected to Grow: Should You Buy?
STX.US Seagate Technology Holdings
FMP Stock News
Original source text
The market expects Seagate (STX - Free Report) to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended June 2026.

While the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call, it's worth handicapping the probability of a positive EPS surprise.

Zacks Consensus EstimateThis electronic storage maker is expected to post quarterly earnings of $5.10 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +96.9%.

Revenues are expected to be $3.49 billion, up 43% from the year-ago quarter.

Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has remained unchanged over the last 30 days. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.

Investors should keep in mind that the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts may not always get reflected in the aggregate change.

Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise

Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. Our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) -- has this insight at its core.

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Seagate? For Seagate, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +1.75%.

On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #1.

So, this combination indicates that Seagate will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate.

Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.

For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Seagate would post earnings of $3.5 per share when it actually produced earnings of $4.10, delivering a surprise of +17.14%.

Seagate appears a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

Here's Why ams-OSRAM AG Unsponsored ADR (AMSSY) Is a Great 'Buy the Bottom' Stock Now
AMSSY ams-OSRAM
FMP Stock News
Original source text
The price trend for ams-OSRAM AG Unsponsored ADR (AMSSY - Free Report) has been bearish lately and the stock has lost 18.3% over the past week. However, the formation of a hammer chart pattern in its last trading session indicates that the stock could witness a trend reversal soon, as bulls might have gained significant control over the price to help it find support.

While the formation of a hammer pattern is a technical indication of nearing a bottom with potential exhaustion of selling pressure, rising optimism among Wall Street analysts about the future earnings of this company is a solid fundamental factor that enhances the prospects of a trend reversal for the stock.

What is a Hammer Chart and How to Trade It?This is one of the popular price patterns in candlestick charting. A minor difference between the opening and closing prices forms a small candle body, and a higher difference between the low of the day and the open or close forms a long lower wick (or vertical line). The length of the lower wick being at least twice the length of the real body, the candle resembles a 'hammer.'

In simple terms, during a downtrend, with bears having absolute control, a stock usually opens lower compared to the previous day's close, and again closes lower. On the day the hammer pattern is formed, maintaining the downtrend, the stock makes a new low. However, after eventually finding support at the low of the day, some amount of buying interest emerges, pushing the stock up to close the session near or slightly above its opening price.

When it occurs at the bottom of a downtrend, this pattern signals that the bears might have lost control over the price. And, the success of bulls in stopping the price from falling further indicates a potential trend reversal.

Hammer candles can occur on any timeframe -- such as one-minute, daily, weekly -- and are utilized by both short-term as well as long-term investors.

Like every technical indicator, the hammer chart pattern has its limitations. Particularly, as the strength of a hammer depends on its placement on the chart, it should always be used in conjunction with other bullish indicators.

Here's What Makes the Trend Reversal More Likely for AMSSYAn upward trend in earnings estimate revisions that AMSSY has been witnessing lately can certainly be considered a bullish indicator on the fundamental side. That's because empirical research shows that trends in earnings estimate revisions are strongly correlated with near-term stock price movements.

The consensus EPS estimate for the current year has increased 190.9% over the last 30 days. This means that the Wall Street analysts covering AMSSY are majorly in agreement about the company's potential to report better earnings than what they predicted earlier.

If this is not enough, you should note that AMSSY currently has a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), which means it is in the top 20% of more than 4,000 stocks that we rank based on trends in earnings estimate revisions and EPS surprises. And stocks carrying a Zacks Rank #1 or 2 usually outperform the market. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>> .

Moreover, a Zacks Rank of 2 for ams-OSRAM AG Unsponsored ADR is a more conclusive indication of a potential trend reversal, as the Zacks Rank has proven to be an excellent timing indicator that helps investors identify precisely when a company's prospects are beginning to improve.

SpaceX sets earnings date, triggering first lock-up expiration for millions of shares
SPCX SpaceX
FMP Stock News
Original source text
SpaceX's stock gained 7% on Tuesday, attempting to snap a seven-day losing streak after setting its maiden earnings report, which coincides with a major share lock-up expiration.

Elon Musk's aerospace and defense contractor on Monday announced Aug. 4 as its debut earnings report after its record initial public offering. The date also triggers the company's unique lock-up period, which allows insiders to begin selling shares earlier than the typical 180-day period.

SpaceX took a staggered approach, allowing insiders to sell portions of their stock at earlier intervals to prevent massive selling and price volatility. The first earnings report paves the way for investors to sell 20% of their eligible locked-up stock, a total of up to 911.5 million shares, on the second full trading day immediately following the first earnings release date, Aug. 6.

An additional 10% could be freed up if the stock closes at least 30% above the IPO price for five of the ten trading days heading into the report.

As of Monday's close, SpaceX shares had shed nearly half their value from the company's intraday high of $225.64 per share on June 16, or 43% from its all-time high closing price of $211.39 on that same day.

Musk's net worth, which had soared above $1 trillion as of June 12, stood around $786 billion on Monday, according to Forbes' Real-Time Billionaires Index.

SpaceX stock chart.

In recent weeks, the stock has also become a prime target for short sellers, with bearish positioning last reaching about a third of the company's public float.

Given the lock-up, only a small portion of shares are available for trading, and short sellers have been ramping up their bets as the stock plummets. Musk blasted the group in a post to social media platform X on Monday.

"The survival probability of firms who maintain a significant short position in SpaceX over time is very low," he wrote.

SpaceX is planning to launch a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 24 Starlink satellites into low orbit on Tuesday after scrubbing the mission before takeoff on Monday.

This was the second cancelled launch from SpaceX in a week. The company plans to launch its massive Starship rocket on Thursday after halting the mission last week due to an engine ignition failure.

"Some of the engines didn't start, triggering an automatic launch abort," Musk said in a post on the SpaceX-owned social network X. The company said it was modifying the rocket's propulsion system to address the engine issues.

Investors are watching Starship test flights closely after SpaceX raised a record $85.7 billion in the biggest initial public offering ever in June, pricing shares at $135.

The giant rocket — which is the largest ever built or flown — is key to SpaceX ambitions to scale its Starlink satellite internet service, and key to fulfilling various obligations to the Artemis program of U.S. space agency NASA, which aims to bring astronauts back to the lunar surface in 2028.

Investors are also watching SpaceX's growing array of cloud computing contracts. The company acquired Musk's AI venture, xAI, now called SpaceXAI, in February, becoming the owner and operator of sprawling data centers and a power plant in Greater Memphis.

Google, Anthropic and Reflection have signed up to rent excess compute capacity from SpaceXAI, as xAI company is now known, at those facilities. The company is also reportedly in talks to provide the Pentagon with compute capacity.

Musk's first publicly traded company, Tesla, is expected to report earnings after the bell on Wednesday. Institutional investors have submitted some questions ahead of time to Tesla leadership via the Say Technologies website.

Among SpaceX-related topics, Tesla investors want to know how the two companies plan to collaborate on the Terafab, a chip factory that Musk is planning to build out in Grimes County, Texas, where Tesla is expected to lead R&D and SpaceX is expected to lead production.

As CNBC has previously reported, many fans of Musk want to see his empire consolidated and to see SpaceX and Tesla merge at some point. SpaceX COO and President Gwynne Shotwell told CNBC doing so would make Musk's life easier.

Bets against SpaceX grow to 32% of float as Elon Musk warns short sellers won't survive
SPCX SpaceX
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Elon Musk warned that investors betting against SpaceX have little chance of survival — even as short sellers boosted their wagers against the company to about one-third of its publicly tradable shares ahead of several key catalysts.

About 206 million SpaceX shares are now sold short, representing roughly 32% of the company's publicly tradable float and about $25 billion in notional bearish bets, according to estimates from S3 Partners. That's up from about 185 million shares, or 29% of the float, just last week, and marks a dramatic increase from an estimated 40 million shares, or roughly 5% to 7% of the float, about a month ago.

"We continue to see short sellers adding exposure ahead of several key upcoming catalysts, including the company's first earnings report as a public company and subsequent lock-up expirations," Matthew Unterman, head of research at S3, told CNBC.

Musk responded to the growing short interest in a post on X, predicting investors betting against the company would ultimately lose.

"The survival probability of firms who maintain a significant short position in SpaceX over time is very low," Musk wrote. "I said SpaceX will be worth more than Earth if we achieve our goals. Obviously true."

SpaceX one month

SpaceX confirmed Tuesday that it will release its first quarterly earnings report as a public company after U.S. markets close on Aug. 4. The results will give investors their first detailed look at SpaceX's performance since its initial public offering and could provide a fresh test for both bulls and short sellers.

The growing bearish position comes as investors weigh SpaceX's long-term prospects against its valuation and the possibility of additional shares becoming available after lock-up restrictions expire. Bulls point to the company's leadership in launch services, Starlink's expansion, and its artificial intelligence ambitions, while skeptics have questioned how much future growth is already reflected in the stock.

SpaceX shares rose about 7% on Tuesday, on pace to snap a seven-session losing streak after analysts at Macquarie reiterated their outperform rating and urged investors to buy the recent weakness. The stock climbed to around $128, though it remains below its $135 IPO price following a sharp post-listing pullback.

Elon Musk Warns SpaceX Short-Sellers: You Probably Won't Survive
SPCX SpaceX
FMP Stock News
Original source text
SpaceX Short Bets GrowWith questions on valuation and the high publicity around the SpaceX IPO, the number of short bets against the company has grown, and those betting against the price of the space stock have been raking in paper profits.

Recently, Musk gave a warning to anyone shorting SpaceX stock.

"The survival probability of firms who maintain a significant short position in SpaceX over time is very low," Musk tweeted in response to a user.

The user called into question the people betting against SpaceX, saying they are likely well-educated individuals with "perfect resumes" who don’t understand the long-term potential of SpaceX and its total addressable market.

"The graduates celebrate their six-week victory on a twenty-year bet. Me, I buy your bags on every dip," the user said.

The social media user also quotes a recent tweet from Musk that said SpaceX would be worth more than Earth if the company achieves its goals.

While Musk’s tweet is several days old, it was a reply that may have been buried and not seen by as many people. An article by Teslarati brought the warning into plain sight and could be among the reasons why SpaceX stock is climbing higher Tuesday.

Musk’s History vs. Short SellersThose who have followed Musk for years know that he has a long history with short sellers of Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA), the electric vehicle company he also leads.

In 2018, Musk told short sellers they had "about three weeks before their short position explodes," as reported by Teslarati.

Musk has said over the years that short selling should be illegal.

The billionaire has also clashed with fellow billionaire Bill Gates, who famously opened a short position against Tesla. Musk refused to talk to Gates about clean energy initiatives and philanthropic efforts unless the billionaire closed his short position.

"Sorry, but I cannot take your philanthropy on climate change seriously when you have a massive short position against Tesla, the company doing the most to solve climate change," Musk previously told Gates.

In 2024, Musk replied to a user on social media that anyone holding a short position "will be obliterated" when Tesla achieves full autonomy and volume production of the Optimus humanoid robot, adding "even Gates" in a reference to Bill Gates.

Last year, Musk sent the same warning about short sellers being "obliterated" when Tesla reaches "autonomy at scale."

Musk also poked fun at hedge funds and investors shorting the stock by issuing “short shorts” merchandise previously. In July 2020, the Tesla website crashed with the apparel launched for $69.420 each. The shorts remain a popular collector’s item today.

While SpaceX has launched merchandise since going public, there are no short shorts available yet.

SpaceX Stock Price ActionSpaceX stock is up 6.2% to $127.31 on Tuesday versus a trading range of $119.68 to $225.64 since going public at $135 per share in June.

Key Takeaways Middle East tensions lifted oil prices while AI-led tech weakness dragged broader markets lower. Oil and shipping ETFs DBO, USO and BWET surged on escalating Strait of Hormuz tensions.WEAT climbed on Black Sea and Australian supply concerns, while VXX rose as volatility spiked. Wall Street delivered a downbeat performance last week. The S&P 500 Index fell 1.6%, the Dow Jones fell 0.9%, the Nasdaq Composite plunged about 2.9% and the Russell 2000 retreated 0.5% last week.

The renewed geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the tech slump mainly led to the slump. Oil prices jumped last week, with the United States Oil Fund LP (USO - Free Report) gaining 10.7% due to the flare-up in tensions between the United States and Iran.

Hormuz Tensions DeepenPresident Trump announced last week that the United States would reimpose a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and levy a 20% fee on cargo passing through the strategic waterway, escalating tensions in the Middle East.

The blockade began on July 14, 2026, with U.S. Central Command saying it would enforce restrictions on vessels traveling to or from Iranian ports and coastal areas (read: Leveraged Oil ETFs Likely to Surge as Hormuz Tensions Deepen).

Vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has declined since then, as escalating U.S.-Iran tensions prompt shipowners to avoid the key energy corridor. Lloyd’s List Intelligence recorded just 53 vessel transits in the week through July 20, down 66% from 157 the previous week, as quoted on CNBC.

Moreover, the U.S. military said a service member was killed after an Iranian attack in northern Iraq on Saturday, a day after an attack on a base in Jordan killed two U.S. soldiers, as quoted on BBC.

Inside the Tech SelloffsInvestors are becoming increasingly cautious about the AI trade as concerns over the sustainability of corporate spending on AI weigh on sentiment. The technology sector, particularly semiconductor stocks, has led the recent market weakness as rising concerns over AI-related capital expenditures and rich valuations dampen investor sentiment.

AI Inflation Fears IntensifyRising expectations that AI could fuel inflation are expected to keep investors on edge. Goldman Sachs cautions that the rapid adoption of AI is likely to fuel inflation globally as supply struggles to keep pace with soaring demand for critical AI components, including memory chips and semiconductors.  The United States is likely to be hit the hardest, as quoted on Business Insider.

SK Hynix’s Shares Flat SK Hynix's recent U.S. debut has sparked a wave of new leveraged ETFs likeDirexion Daily SK Hynix Bull 2X ETF (SKHL). However, SK Hynix Inc – ADR (SKHY - Free Report) shares remained flat (read: Tap SK Hynix's Memory Leadership With These New Leveraged ETFs).

SpaceX NosedivesShares of another recent IPO hot-star, SpaceX (SPCX - Free Report) , also slumped 14% last week. On July 16, SpaceX's Starship rocket triggered a last-second ‌abort before liftoff its 13th flight test from Texas, which wiped off about $100 billion from the company's market value, per Reuters, as quoted on Yahoo Finance.

ETF Winners Against this backdrop, below we highlight a few winning ETFs of last week.

EnergyInvesco DB Oil Fund (DBO - Free Report) – Up 10.9%

United States Oil Fund LP (USO - Free Report) – Up 10.7%

VanEck Oil Refiners ETF (CRAK - Free Report) – Up 7.8%

Oil prices rose last week as the war between the United States and Iran intensified, fueling concerns over disruptions to energy shipments through the Strait of Hormuz. President Trump announced last week that the United States would reimpose a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and levy a 20% fee on cargo passing through the strategic waterway, escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Shipping Breakwave Tanker Shipping ETF (BWET - Free Report) – Up 11.9%

Due to the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz, shipping routes were disrupted, driving a sharp surge in freight rates. This has strengthened the investment case for BWET. Broader disruptions across global trade lanes have supported shipping stocks this year, with elevated shipping rates in recent months positioning the fund as a clear beneficiary.

Wheat Teucrium Wheat Fund (WEAT - Free Report) – Up 6.5%

Wheat prices hit a two-year high last week as traders locked in profits. The Russia-Ukraine conflict showed no signs of easing, with Russian forces resuming strikes on Ukrainian port infrastructure along the Black Sea coast in response to recent Ukrainian attacks on Russian vessels in the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea, per Trading Economics.

Plus, the USDA reported that U.S. wheat net export sales of 235,100 metric tons for the week ended July 9 were below market expectations. Meanwhile, supply concerns emerged in Australia – one of the world’s largest wheat exporters – due to hotter and drier conditions, Trading Economics noted.

Volatility iPath Series B S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures ETN (VXX - Free Report) – Up 5.1%

AI jitters, oil risks and inflation fears caused massive volatility last week, causing stocks to slump. The CBOE Volatility Index (VIX), which reflects market expectations of near-term volatility, jumped more than 12% last week, highlighting growing investor anxiety and expectations for heightened market volatility.

SpaceX IPO: What the Stock's Swings Mean for ETFs
SPCX SpaceX
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways SpaceX's post-IPO rally lost steam as investors questioned its lofty valuation.Staggered insider share sales may increase supply and keep SpaceX stock volatile.Long-term investors may buy the dip; cautious investors can wait for post-lockup stability. Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SPCX - Free Report) made its debut on Wall Street on June 12, 2026, at $135 per share. This was one of the largest public listings in history, making founder Elon Musk the first trillionaire in the world, per the BBC.

The stock price immediately shot up to $150 on the first day and then to $176, before closing at $160.95. Consequently, in the next week, the stock saw a spike to $225, overtaking Amazon and Microsoft in total market value, per the BBC.

But inconsistencies started showing up as at the end of its first trading month, shares of SpaceX were sold at around $145 each, which is about 18% less than the high on its first day of trading and 35% less than its peak so far, according to the BBC.

SpaceX delivered average gains of more than 20% per day to its early investors after its IPO, as mentioned by Motley Fool, quoted on Yahoo Finance. However, the stock later slumped to an intraday low of $145.20, then rebounded above $150 in early July, according to Yahoo Finance.

Despite its inclusion in the Nasdaq-100 — a move expected to drive buying from index-tracking ETFs and mutual funds — the stock still dropped, surprising investors and analysts, per Yahoo Finance.

What Can Be the Reasons Behind This Instability? As SpaceX enters its post-honeymoon phase with public markets, its biggest rival, Blue Origin, is preparing to raise fresh capital. The rocket company backed by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is reportedly seeking funding at a valuation of about $130 billion, marking its first public fundraising round, per a Yahoo Finance article.

For the past 25 years, Blue Origin has been almost entirely financed by Jeff Bezos. Although Blue Origin's latest fundraising (i.e., about $10 billion) is expected to be modest compared with the roughly $85 billion raised by SpaceX in its blockbuster IPO, the move underscores growing investor confidence in Blue Origin's long-term prospects and its ability to compete in the rapidly evolving space economy.

Bezos' Amazon is preparing to launch satellite Internet services through its Amazon LEO network, focusing on delivering high-capacity connectivity solutions for large enterprise customers, positioning it as a future competitor to SpaceX's Starlink.

Valuation Concerns About SpaceXSpaceX remains among the world's most highly valued companies. Investors are increasingly questioning whether current revenues can justify a valuation approaching $2 trillion.

Although revenues are expected to grow rapidly through Starlink subscriptions, launch services and future AI infrastructure, much of that growth remains priced into the stock already, per The Motley Fool. Wall Street, too, is anticipating a range above $200, while the share price of SPCX is struggling to reach $200, per Yahoo Finance.

Gradual Lockup Expiry May Keep SpaceX Stock VolatileAlthough SpaceX completed its IPO on June 12, its insider lockup schedule differs from the traditional 180-day restriction followed by most newly listed companies. Elon Musk and his associates agreed not to sell any stock for 366 days after the IPO.

After the company reports its second-quarter earnings, expected in August, eligible insiders can sell up to 20% of their holdings. They can then sell an additional 7% of their shares on each of the 70th, 90th, 105th, 120th and 135th days after the IPO, bringing the total eligible for sale to 55%.

Following the release of third-quarter earnings results, they can sell another 28%, meaning as much as 83% of non-year-locked insider shares could become available well before the conventional 180-day lockup expires.

The company also has a performance-based provision that would allow insiders to sell an extra 10% of their holdings if SpaceX's stock closes at least 30% above its IPO price for five out of any 10 consecutive trading days, per The Motley Fool, quoted in Yahoo Finance.

However, the stock has not yet reached that threshold. The staggered release of insider shares could lead to periodic waves of selling in the coming months, increasing the stock's supply and potentially creating additional pressure on its share price.

ETFs in FocusDue to SpaceX's IPO in June, some ETFs have become the most direct ways for investors to gain exposure to the company without buying the stock outright. However, their performances have varied depending on how much SpaceX they own and the rest of their portfolios.

Baron First Principles ETF (RONB - Free Report) has been the largest publicly available ETF holder of SpaceX, having total net assets of $328.8 million.

Before the IPO, nearly 16% of the portfolio was invested in SpaceX, per Investing.com. Currently, it has boosted its investment to 31.9%. It has an expense ratio of 1.00%. The fund trades with an average volume of 930,000 shares.

Roundhill Space & Technology ETF (MARS - Free Report) invests across the commercial space ecosystem — launch providers, satellite operators, communications, robotics and related technologies, with assets under management worth $57.7 million.

Following the IPO of SpaceX, MARS has 21.41% of its weightage. It has an expense ratio of 0.75% and trades at an average volume of 175,000 shares a day.

VanEck Space ETF (WARP - Free Report) offers exposure to companies involved in satellite infrastructure, launch services, aerospace and defense technology, with assets under management worth $35.7 million.

SpaceX has a weightage of 21.1% in WARP. The fund charges an expense ratio of 0.50% and trades at an average volume of 121,500 shares a day.

Bottom LineFor investors with a long investment horizon and a higher risk tolerance, the recent correction could present a better entry opportunity than the IPO frenzy. However, conservative investors may prefer to wait until after the lockup period expires and the stock establishes a more stable trading range before initiating or adding to positions.

SpaceX shares rebound and jump 6% as Macquarie urges investors to buy the dip
SPCX SpaceX
FMP Stock News
Original source text
SpaceX SPCX shares jumped more than 6% on Tuesday, snapping a seven-session losing streak after Macquarie reiterated its bullish stance on the stock, saying the recent correction offers investors an attractive entry point into what it describes as a long-term infrastructure and artificial intelligence leader.

The rally lifted the stock to around $127, although it remains below its $135 initial public offering price after a gradual post-listing decline.

Macquarie said the recent weakness has created a disconnect between the company's market valuation and its long-term growth prospects, particularly in AI.

SpaceX shares have been under pressure since their record IPO on June 12 and remain more than 20% below their debut closing price despite Tuesday's rebound.

The stock also suffered a setback last week after the company's 13th Starship test flight was aborted less than a second before liftoff because several engines failed to ignite.

Macquarie analysts, led by Paul Golding, believe those near-term issues have not altered the company's long-term investment case.

Reaffirming an Outperform rating and a 12-month price target of $250, the brokerage said investors continue to underestimate SpaceX's artificial intelligence opportunity in addition to its core aerospace business.

"We see significant upside from AI optionality; achieving only a fraction of terminal compute ambitions could justify valuation above current levels," the analysts wrote.

According to Macquarie, the recent selloff presents a rare opportunity to buy what it describes as a category-defining infrastructure platform at a significant discount to its intrinsic value.

Attention is now turning to Aug. 4, when SpaceX is scheduled to report quarterly earnings for the first time as a publicly traded company.

The earnings release will also trigger the first phase of the company's staggered IPO lock-up expiration.

Unlike the standard six-month lock-up period used in most listings, SpaceX adopted a phased structure intended to reduce the risk of heavy insider selling.

Following the earnings release, insiders will be permitted to sell up to 20% of their eligible locked-up holdings, representing as many as 911.5 million shares.

An additional 10% of locked-up shares could become eligible for sale if the stock trades at least 30% above its IPO price for five of the ten trading sessions leading up to the earnings report.

The approaching lock-up has become another focal point for investors after a sustained decline in the share price.

The recent weakness has also attracted bearish investors.

Short interest has climbed to roughly one-third of SpaceX's public float in recent weeks as traders positioned for further downside.

Because only a limited portion of shares is available for trading before the lock-up expires, increased short selling has amplified volatility.

Chief Executive Elon Musk dismissed those bearish bets in a post on X on Monday.

"The survival probability of firms who maintain a significant short position in SpaceX over time is very low," Musk wrote.

While Macquarie believes the recent correction has created an attractive buying opportunity, not all analysts agree.

Former hedge fund manager Whitney Tilson argued last week that the stock remains expensive despite the sharp decline.

"Don't even think about bottom-fishing this one, as it still trades at 92 times trailing revenues," Tilson wrote.

"That means it's still nearly 10 times overvalued, given that I think a generous multiple for the stock would be 10 times revenues."

The contrasting views highlight the debate surrounding SpaceX following its blockbuster IPO, with bulls focusing on its long-term AI and space ambitions while skeptics argue the valuation still leaves little room for execution missteps.
