Santos FC Fan Token nabbed substantial investor attention on Monday as SANTOS price extended intraday gains to over 100% amid a major exchange listing. Notably, with the crypto exchange giant Binance revealing listing for the token, bullish market sentiments appear to have engulfed the fan crypto. Meanwhile, market watchers speculate whether the listing could help the token sustain an uptrend ahead.
Santos FC Fan Token Sparks Optimism With Binance Listing In an effort to broaden trade offerings for users, Binance officially announced listing SANTOS USD-Margined perpetual on October 28. According to the exchange’s announcement, the firm’s future trading arm will launch the SANTOSUSDT contract with up to 75x leverage for users. Starting today at 14:00 UTC, the platform’s colossal user base can partake in futures trading the fan crypto.
The tick size for the digital asset set by the exchange was 0.001. Further, the capped funding rate was set at +2.00% / -2.00%. However, the crypto exchange giant clarified that the perpetual contract remains poised to face potential adjustments ahead based on market risk conditions. These potential changes could encompass adjustments in the future contract’s funding fee, tick size, maximum leverage, initial margin, and maintenance margin requirements. Nevertheless, the announcement by one of the top crypto exchanges has fueled a positive impact on SANTOS price.
Fan Token Soars 100% Notably, with Binance’s listing coming into play, SANTOS price soared over 100% from its 24-hour low and is currently trading at $6.07. The crypto’s intraday low and high were recorded as $3.20 and $7.99, respectively. Notably, the fan crypto’s 24-hour trading volume witnessed a 1552% increase to $220.72 million today, indicating that traders reacted positively to the listing announcement.
Meanwhile, the price gains for the token are primarily attributable to the abovementioned futures listing. CoinGape Media recently reported a similar chronicle wherein the Solana meme coin Moo Deng price skyrocketed phenomenally with its futures listing on the same exchange. Notably, MOODENG price extended gains to 170% to date since October 25 with its perpetual cpntract launch. This chronicle further aligns with the fan token’s futures listing, projecting bullishness on SANTOS price’s future movements.
Key NotesNeymar's brief stint at Al Hilal ends after just seven appearances, with Santos FC suggesting an imminent homecoming for their former star. The fan token's trading volume skyrocketed 239.88% to $44.94 million, though still down 88.5% from its all-time high of $28.60.Technical indicators show bullish momentum with a positive MACD crossover and RSI at 56, suggesting potential upward movement pending $3.5 resistance. Santos FC Fan Token (SANTOS), a digital currency launched as a result of a partnership between crypto exchange Binance and the Brazilian sports club Santos FC, has shot up a massive 19% in the past 24 hours, trading at $3.37 at the time of writing. This price surge was a result of the club teasing the return of its star player Neymar, claiming that the athlete will be “home” soon.
According to a report, Neymar’s contract with Al Hilal SFC, another football club based in Riyadh, came to an end this week just after seven appearances. The 32-year-old athlete’s former team, Santos, stepped up, indicating intentions to re-sign the forward. Also, Tottenham forward Richarlison shared a post on the social media platform Instagram about Neymar joining the Brazilian sports club.

The former Paris Saint-Germain star cost a staggering $98 million to sign, and after a brief seven-appearance stint at Al Hilal, the deal goes down in history as one of the biggest flops for a sports club. The athlete could be making a comeback at the team where he rose to prominence.
Fan tokens rose to prominence during the 2021 crypto market bull run. Several football clubs have their own fan tokens, including FC Porto Token, Manchester City Fan Token, and more. These tokens allow the holders to share experiences and gain early access to NFTs, among other offerings.
SANTOS Price Analysis According to the data from CoinMarketCap, SANTOS has dropped 31.92% in the past year and is down 88.5% from its all-time high of $28.60 seen over three years ago. The trading volume of the cryptocurrency soared a significant 239.88% in the past 24 hours and stands at $44.94 million.

The SANTOS on-balance volume (OBV) on the daily chart below shows that the buyers have started to take advantage of the bullish narrative surrounding Neymar’s possible signing with the Brazilian football club. The gradient of the line suggests higher prices for the fan token in the coming days. However, the cryptocurrency needs to break the prominent resistance at $3.5.

Meanwhile, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) for the cryptocurrency stands at a value of 56, which means that the bulls are overall in control of the SANTOS price action. On the other hand, the MACD line (blue) just soared above the signal line (red), which confirms a bullish divergence on the daily chart. Higher prices are likely for the fan token.

Biswap saw a major 100% spike in hours, just after Binance announced that it would delist the token.
Crypto markets are not always driven by fundamentals. On Thursday, June 26, Binance announced the delisting of five tokens, including Biswap (BSW). However, instead of triggering a price collapse, the delisting news sparked a major rally.
Despite the Binance delisting, the small-cap token rallied 118% in just a few hours, rising from $0.017 to a peak of $0.037. Biswap’s price subsequently stabilized at $0.026, but the token remains up 30% over the past 24 hours.
One potential reason for the price spike is the announcement of a new roadmap by the project. Biswap outlined plans to make the project more decentralized, enabling users to vote on rewards rather than just passively farm the token. The protocol also announced steps toward on-chain governance, as well as updates to its tokenomics.
Why Binance delisted Biswap Binance periodically reviews tokens on its platform to ensure they meet the standards for listing. The exchange considers factors such as regulatory compliance, trading volume and liquidity, security, team commitment, and ownership structure. Binance did not explicitly state why it delisted Biswap or the other tokens. However, the announcement suggests that it failed to meet one or more of these criteria.
Biswap launched in 2021 as a decentralized exchange on the BNB Chain. It allows users to swap tokens, earn yield by providing liquidity, and stake crypto rewards. The token peaked in December 2021 at $2.13 and has since lost nearly 99% of its value.
Since launch, Biswap has faced criticism over the security of its protocol and centralization concerns. In June 2021, Valix Consulting discovered a critical exploit in its code that allowed an attacker to mint unlimited BSW tokens via the exchange. Biswap patched the vulnerability afterward.

What is Mobox (MBOX)?Mobox is a community-focused platform that aims to connect various metaverses through NFTs and ensure interoperability among blockchain-based games and platforms. Essentially, Mobox aims to enhance the utility of NFTs in blockchain-based games and provide additional benefits through various initiatives. The platform offers a range of games and features, including NFT farming, yield farming, and decentralized finance (DeFi) solutions, while maintaining a free-to-play model for users.
Mobox empowers users to participate in play-to-earn experiences through a combination of gaming, yield farming, and NFT trading. Users can play various games like MOMO Token Master and MOMO Farmer to earn rewards in the form of MBOX coins. Additionally, users can obtain MOMO NFTs through mystery boxes, which can be traded, staked to farm MBOX coins, or used as collateral within the ecosystem.
The platform consists of three main components: the NFT marketplace, the NFT creator, and the game creator. The NFT marketplace offers a decentralized solution for trading, renting, and lending MOMO NFTs, while the NFT creator provides tools for users to create their own MOMO NFTs. The game creator provides APIs for developers to launch and publish games on the Mobox platform with seamless integration of MBOX coins and MOMO NFTs.
Mobox stands out by combining DeFi, blockchain-based games, and NFTs to offer users unique opportunities to earn rewards through gaming. Unlike traditional gaming models, MOBOX adopts a play-to-earn approach where users can earn rewards without spending money upfront. Additionally, the platform encourages community participation with rewards distributed based on user activities across the ecosystem.
The main network asset of the platform, MBOX coin, serves as a utility coin within the MOBOX ecosystem and can be earned through various activities such as gaming, yield farming, and participating in platform features.

GameFi tokens were the best performers on Sunday as Bitcoin recaptured the important resistance point at $60,000 for the first time since Aug. 14.
Bitcoin (BTC) recovery triggered gains in the crypto industry, with the total market capitalization of all coins rising by 0.8% to $2.2 trillion.
A closer look at the top gainers showed that gaming tokens were the best-performing coins on Aug. 18. Mines of Dalarnia (DAR) token formed a god candle as it jumped to a high of $0.218 — 115% above its lowest level this month. Its surge brought its market cap to over $120 million.
Its rally happened in a high-volume environment. Data by CoinMarketCap shows that the 24-hour volume rose by over 3,740% to over $398 million. Most of its volume was from Bitrue followed by Binance. Mines of Dalarnia was also one of the most trending tokens in StockTwits.
Meanwhile, Alien Worlds (TLM), another gaming token rose by 70% to $0.014, giving it a valuation of over $62 million. It has risen by over 120% from this month’s low.
Gala (GALA) token also rose for the second consecutive day and reached its highest level since Aug. 4. Ronin (RON) rose by over 5% to $1.63.
According to CoinGecko, the total 24-hour volume of all GameFi tokens rose to over $2 billion while the market capitalization jumped to $13 billion.
Gala, Mines of Dalarnia, Alien Worlds, and Ronin tokens | Chart by TradingView GameFi challenges remain Despite the weekend surge, most gaming tokens have dropped sharply from their all-time high as demand for the sector wanes.
Axie Infinity, once touting a market cap of over $9 billion, has dropped to a valuation of just $715 million. Other tokens like Decentraland, Sandbox, and Gala have shed billions in valuation in the past few years.
A key concern among users is the volatility of the reward tokens. For example, Smooth Love Potion (SLP), which is used to reward Axie Infinity players, has dropped from $0.3335 in 2021 to $0.029, a 99% drop.
Tap-to-earn Telegram mini applications — Hamster Kombat, Notcoin, and TapSwap — are accumulating millions of users, further disrupting the industry.

Key takeaways:
Play-to-airdrop games have been criticized for attracting profit-driven players who use bots to automate gameplay and accumulate points. The model is accused of crowding out real gamers, undermining the integrity of the game, and devaluing the airdropped assets. To prevent abuse, developers suggest implementing anti-bot measures such as CAPTCHA tests and multi-factor authentication. Play-to-airdrop (P2A), the latest iteration of web3 gaming, has come under fire for attracting profit hunters.
Play-to-airdrop is a strategy to attract users by giving away crypto tokens—called airdrops—directly to their wallet addresses. Users can then sell these tokens for cash on crypto exchanges. To receive the tokens, they must complete certain activities in the game.
People who have been in gaming for a long time believe that P2A games are replete with players who are looking to make a quick buck rather than enjoying the game.
These so-called degens typically use bots to autoplay games, accumulate points, cash out, and chase the next token. According to developers and players, the gold rush is crowding out traditional gamers—who value the fun of playing and the social aspects of the game—from web3’s airdrop era.
Mohsin Waqar, CEO of the game development platform Senet, said the play-to-airdrop model offers developers “significant benefits” for building player engagement and “fostering a sense of community.” However, he said the model is also prone to exploitation by bots and profit-hunters.
“Bots can be programmed to complete simple tasks or farm rewards automatically, undermining the integrity of the game and the value of the airdropped assets,” Waqar told Cryptonews, adding:
“Profit-seeking players may engage in strategies like creating multiple accounts (sybil attacks) or using bots to farm rewards, which can inflate the supply of airdropped tokens and devalue them.”
Play-to-Airdrop Criticized as ‘Gambling’On the one hand, “airdrop hunters” are part of the developers’ broader game plan. Play-to-airdrop uses speculation to market video games to people who might otherwise avoid them.
On the other hand, the quality and sustainability of P2A gameplay depend on converting the “gold diggers” into committed players. After initially drawing in those who are new to the game, developers must make them stay to give the studio its long-term business and cultural footprint.
Manel Sort, the CEO of Games for a Living, believes that P2A is a hard sell. “The use of random and unexpected bonuses in P2A dynamics hook the players, but they also blur the lines with gambling techniques,” Sort, who says to have built and published over 60 titles, told Cryptonews.
“I believe game developers in the web3 space have to decide whether they want to get involved in the gambling space or whether they bet on innovation and fresh approaches to engage the players long-term,” he added.
Game developer Jandindr argued in a post on X that the current form of P2A is not sustainable for studios. “Token should be used to give to your best quality players to retain/ new users where the cost make sense. Now you are spending $100 to get the worst possible user group (sic),” he said.
I am pretty bearish on the current form of play to airdrop
it doesn’t create any long term / sustainable business at all especially in gaming.
Token should be used to give to your best quality players to retain / new users where the cost make sense
Now you are spending $100 to…
— jarindr.eth | zentry ⚡️ (@jarindr) August 19, 2024 One of the most anticipated airdrops relates to the TON-based game Hamster Kombat, which claims to have over 300 million active players. On Aug. 28, the team finally announced that the token generation event (TGE) and subsequent airdrop will take place on September 26th.
The reveal ended months of waiting, as the airdrop, originally set for July, was pushed back to August. At the time, the team said it was fine-tuning its tokenomics—a combination of the words “token” and “economics” used to define the elements that make a cryptocurrency valuable.
In August, however, the Hamster Kombat team announced that it would not set a specific date due to the size of the event. It described the event as a “technically complex undertaking, unprecedented in the blockchain world.”
“Many P2A games have struggled because their tokenomics models are poorly implemented,” Juan Humberto Vivas Lovera, founder and CEO of web3 platform Pixpel, said in an interview with Cryptonews.
“The complexity of web3 games, involving both digital assets and tokenomics, necessitates that tokenomics be adjusted according to game dynamics and how funds are being utilized,” Lovera added.
According to its whitepaper, Hamster Kombat will allocate 60% of its token’s total supply to players as a reward for tapping the screens of their smartphones and completing other in-game tasks like watching YouTube videos.
But even before its airdrop, Hamster Kombat was already facing legal actions from alleged early investors who supposedly created the game, per Russian media reports. It is unclear whether the legal battle over Hamster Kombat’s origin will affect the airdrop.
The project previously said that it turned down investments from venture capitalists to protect users who received the airdrop from becoming “exit liquidity.”
How Game Studios Can Reward Quality Mohsin Waqar, the Senet CEO, said developers need to implement anti-bot measures, such as CAPTCHA tests and multi-factor authentication, to prevent abuse in P2A. The GameFi veteran, whose company boasts over 600 games, 300,000 daily downloads, and three million monthly users, also proposed limiting the number of accounts per user and monitoring suspicious activity using artificial intelligence (AI).
Waqar suggested “tiered rewards, where more valuable airdrops are only accessible to players who demonstrate consistent and meaningful engagement.”
Some of his proposals have been tested and have had some success at Alien Worlds. Waqar said the blockchain-based metaverse game struggled with bots farming points and players creating multiple accounts to maximize airdrop rewards.
Alien Worlds responded by implementing stricter account verification processes and transaction cooldown periods to reduce exploitation. Developers also changed the reward distribution mechanics to make it harder for bots and exploiters to profit without real engagement.
Lovera, the Pixpel founder, spoke about the need for a digital ID-enabled wallet, like Concordium. This will ensure there is one person behind the screen rather than bots. He also suggested a tokenomics model based on tournaments, whereby players can lose tokens if they lose the game or tournament.
Nothing Beats a Good GameA Philippines-based gamer, who preferred to be called Lupin XIV, said that P2A is easier to exploit if there are fewer barriers to entry, if it is referral-based, and if eligibility requires minimal verification.
While bad actors are inevitable, P2A games must attract more committed players to create a balanced gaming economy. When invested participants take up more space in the community, it reduces the likelihood of abuse. Lupin XIV told Cryptonews:
“The gaming experience will play a key role in P2A for both true fans and profit-driven players because a certain percentage of profit-hunters can be converted to long-term players if there are game loops, player progressions, fewer exploits, and token sustainability.”
Ultimately, nothing beats a good game. “The one way to attract players is to create a compelling game that they will stick to regardless of incentives and airdrops,” Lupin added.
“Developers must recognize that the quality of the game will always have greater importance for the majority of gamers than the rewards offered,” Lovera concurred.
Why Play-to-Airdrop?It’s not all doom and gloom for play-to-airdrop games. In web2 gaming, enthusiasts provided valuable beta insights that contributed to community-building and game development. However, developers largely controlled ownership and profit.
The play-to-earn (P2E) model, popularized during lockdown, used blockchain technology to shift power from developers to gamers. P2E rewards players with money, in-game items that enhance their virtual experience, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that give them ownership of these assets.
P2A builds on P2E by adding speculation as a new selling point. Developers leverage the appeal of accumulation and the element of surprise to promote new games. Experts say there are several benefits of the play-to-airdrop model, including:
Increased game time: Rewards are given to players who stay engaged over the long term. Since gamers often don’t know when an airdrop will happen, they remain committed in anticipation. Virality: The uncertainty around reward details creates buzz and drives interest through engaging narratives. Diverse player base: In addition to web2 purists, P2A attracts players who might be interested in speculation. This diverse group may also stay to enjoy the game. “By offering airdrops as rewards, developers can attract a diverse range of players, including those who may be new to blockchain gaming,” explained Senet’s Waqar.
“This approach can help build a loyal community that is invested in the game’s ecosystem, leading to greater longevity and a more stable economy – IF done right.”
Alien Worlds is many things to many people. A mining game. An NFT collection. A staking project. A governance experiment. Since master storyteller Kevin J. Anderson came onboard to revamp Alien the lore in 2023, though, it’s becoming something more: a living, breathing sci-fi franchise.
Lore – defined as the creative elements (characters, stories, history) unique to Alien Worlds – is what makes the metaverse a coherent ecosystem rather than a disparate hodgepodge of Web3 mechanics. Think about it: mining Trilium, building an NFT collection, participating in DAO governance, competing in tournaments: all these elements work together because they’re rooted in a shared sci-fi narrative. It’s the story that makes everything click, the lore that pulls players deeper every time they connect their wallet.
Since Kevin J. Anderson outlined the alien races and interstellar conflicts that characterize life on the six frontier planets, the community has taken the baton, submitting over 130 stories for review. At the time of writing, dozens have been officially canonized by the Lore DAO – making them beyond reproach. With every submission, the connective tissue holding Alien Worlds grows stronger.
Building the Backstory Although Anderson’s 16-page Lore Treatment breathed fresh life into the sci-fi DNA of Alien Worlds, there was plenty of continuity: the willowy, enigmatic Altan race, for example, clearly derived from the Greys. The subsequent publication of a Tokenized Lore Book, meanwhile, provided a visual insight into the alien races, vehicles, and architectures, giving creators a strong foundation upon which to add their own creations.
The same decentralized architecture that permits players to occupy a seat at the powerbrokers’ table in the governance-focused Syndicate and Union DAOs, also ensures a broad church where lore is concerned. Submitting a story is easy, with a Lore Librarian vetting contributions to ensure conformity with the official canon. As with the other DAOs, players stake TLM to decide whether a story deserves to be woven into the fabric of Alien Worlds.
It should be noted that players can leverage another resource, other than the Lore Treatment and Lore Book, to write stories. Lynx, a Discord-based LLM trained on the canon, can be utilized to generate ideas, answer queries, and cross-check stories for inconsistencies. It’s a system designed to enable smooth passage for submissions that genuinely bring something fresh and exciting to the existing material.
Speaking of fresh and exciting content, the media inspired by lore now includes both games and comics, with multiple indie developers weaving stories and characters into their projects. Without the lore, these developers would be whistling in the dark.
Starblind is a great example: set in the Magor prison colony Grimstone, this comic book series follows a tight-knit crew searching for a hidden Trilium deposit. A forgeable NFT-based comic with nine rarity tiers and unique generated covers, Starblind features several races outlined in the Lore Treatment including an Onoros and Elgem. What’s more, the story will soon be gamified in the upcoming first-person shooter Siege Worlds.
In addition to Starblind, the revamped lore has featured in the auto-battler Battlefleet Armageddon and Meta Battler, a deck-building game that introduced new NFTs featuring races grounded in the foundational material. As more developers build on the lore scaffolding, the sense of community and shared purpose will only intensify.
Blending Mechanics with Story As mentioned at the outset, Alien Worlds is about mining, collecting, staking, and governance – but lore confers import on all of these endeavors. Take NFTs, for example: while their scarcity and functionality gives them broad appeal, it’s the lore that provides their substance. A mining tool is used primarily to procure Trilium, but now players can explore the tool’s backstory to enrich our understanding and appreciation of it. The same is true of weapons and avatars.
In the absence of such a backstory, what do we have? Images, with some utility baked in. Thanks to Tokenized Lore, simple tools can be transformed into artifacts of a living world. Players will trade NFTs regardless, but knowing the asset carries narrative weight adds a new layer of immersion. Blending mechanics with story fosters a deeper level of engagement, particularly when factoring in the role of the Syndicates themselves. What other game can you simultaneously write, play, and govern?
It is no exaggeration to say that Tokenized Lore has given context to every spinoff project, comic, NFT drop, and tournament. By rooting the various moving parts of Alien Worlds in community-driven lore, they have become more memorable and meaningful.
Any discussion of sci-fi innovation inevitably segues into Star Wars at some stage or other, but it’s important to remember that before the saga, there was the story. Without its compelling cast of characters and races, George Lucas’ masterpiece might be a little-known ‘70s space flick rather than the beloved franchise it is today.
If you’re a sci-fi storyteller or ambitious indie developer, there’s no better time to plug into Alien Worlds and help write the next chapter in the evolution of gaming.

2025 was one of the most important years in the history of Alien Worlds. From launch, the goal has always been to give increasing control to the community. This year showed how far that vision has come as players expanded the metaverse through games, governance, tools, lore, and new ways to earn Trilium.
With an average of more than 90,000 daily active accounts in 2025, Alien Worlds remained one of the most active decentralized ecosystems, driven by community builders, creators, and DAOs.
Milky Way Miner
Weekly tournaments grew significantly this year, offering Trilium rewards to all participants. Players staked Alien Worlds NFTs, competed in skill-based mining challenges, and progressed across a polished 2D platformer. Permanent boosts were removed to keep gameplay fair and balanced.
Mercenary Battlegrounds
This strategy title combined tower defense, auto-battler, and tactical mechanics. Staking crew.worlds NFTs unlocked Alien Worlds themed towers, and players battled through six weeks of tournaments supported by Trilium rewards.
Mayhem: Alien Worlds
A turn-based mobile shooter inspired by classic tactics games. Players selected their preferred race, used specialized abilities, and submitted kill shots during playtesting rounds that rewarded participation and helped refine gameplay.
Mission Control
A community-built platform that provided mining analytics, land insights, NFT tracking, and performance dashboards. Players used it daily to optimize strategy across the Alien Worlds economy.
Outlaw Troopers
A long-running community-created NFT game on WAX where players deploy Troopers in Encounters to earn FGL tokens and climb seasonal leaderboards. Players run Missions to collect virtual credits, gears, ore, and other resources used across the FGL ecosystem. Outlaw Troopers also introduced cooperative battles against the Orbatroid, where players can team up and compete for a share of Trilium rewards. New events and tournaments are announced through Alien Worlds socials.
Minecrafters
A Magor Union community project that combines the Minecraft experience with Alien Worlds themed gameplay. Players explore the server, complete quests, build structures, and interact with custom features inspired by the six planets. By staking Alien Worlds NFTs, players unlock progression paths and can earn Trilium through in-game activities and event participation.
Eyeke Embassy
One of the most active hubs of 2025. With expanded support through Galactic Hubs, the Eyeke Embassy introduced new Legendary and Mythic Mechs, increased mining and staking rewards, and released monthly one-of-one Mechs inspired by each Alien Worlds race. More than 25,000 NFTs were burned through blends during the event.
Planetary Defense
A strategic community-created game set on Magor where players defend land, launch coordinated attacks, and manage NFTs in real time. Landowners build defenses while mercenaries join raids or protect territories. Players face PvE threats and PvP battles, complete missions, and earn Planetary Defense Tokens. Progression comes from upgrading armies, increasing vote power, improving chests, and climbing the leaderboard.
Meta Battler
A community-built rogue-like deck-building strategy game that lets players use digital collectibles from across the WAX ecosystem, including Funkos and custom NFTs. Attributes are assigned automatically, allowing a wide range of items to become playable cards. Upcoming updates include streamer PvP, roguelike campaigns, NFT loot, and an economy powered by MBP. Players build decks, battle through encounters, unlock rewards, and experiment with new strategies shaped alongside the community.
Decentralization Became More Visible Alien Worlds continued progressing toward a community-directed structure where players guide development, resource distribution, and planetary governance.
Union DAOs Gained Greater Control Over Mining Rewards
Union DAOs can now direct up to 25 percent of their mining reward pool toward community initiatives. This expanded authority allows players to fund tools, games, events, and creative work within their planets.
Election Cycle Adjustments
Planets gained the ability to adjust their own election time frames, giving each community the flexibility to match governance to its activity and needs.
Control Over Custodian Count
DAOs gained authority over the number of custodians for their planet. This lets each Syndicate establish the structure that fits its voters and builders.
Syndicate Activity in 2025
Across all six planets:
850 proposals were submitted
791 proposals were executed
12,080,321 Trilium was allocated through Syndicate actions

20,993,150 total ships were sent on Missions
1,256,114,160 Trilium was staked for ship leasing
118,270,600 Trilium was distributed as Mission rewards
Lore and Creativity Expanded Through Players
Tokenized lore continued to grow in 2025.The system went live on January 29, and the first proposal was submitted on February 6. There were more than 122 community-written stories and over 1.1 million words of AI-assisted lore created based in the Alien Worlds metaverse.
Writers worked with the foundational lore created by Kevin J. Anderson. Players voted on which stories became canon, and contributors, librarians, and Lore Scribes supported new writers throughout the process.
Galactic Hubs Continued Supporting Builders In 2025, GHubs funding supported:
new game updates
mining experiences
Mech development in Eyeke
community tool improvements
cross-platform integrations
lore and storytelling initiatives
For a deeper look at GHubs funded projects and milestones, you can read the full Galactic Hubs report.
The Ecosystem Ahead Alien Worlds in 2025 was defined by players. Games were created by the community. Governance decisions were made by DAOs. Trilium rewards moved through structures selected by the community. Lore and worldbuilding came from contributors across the world. Alien Worlds continues to grow through the creativity and decisions of the Explorers who call the six planets home.
Ask any veteran Alien Worlds Explorer what keeps them coming back and they’ll rarely mention just one thing. They’ll wax lyrical about the kickass spinoff games they played, the lore they read and wrote, the tournaments in which they participated. Others will mention the NFTs they earned and traded, and that time they got to call the shots as a Custodian of one of the six Planetary Syndicates.
Such a varied game experience is only possible thanks to the efforts of the wider community, though a guiding hand exists in the form of Galactic Hubs. Indeed, this sprawling ecosystem wouldn’t exist at its current scale without GHubs.
Launched 3.5 years ago, Galactic Hubs started with a simple aim: to support anyone in the community who had the vision and talent to push Alien Worlds forward. This support could take many forms, from mentoring and marketing to long-term funding, and it’s safe to say players and developers have benefited from such a hands-on approach. What began as a grant program has quietly transformed into the single biggest growth engine in the Alien Worlds Metaverse.
From Bold Experiments to Foundational Infrastructure Decentralized and community-led, Galactic Hubs was conceived as “a resource that would help fund any member of the Alien Worlds community who had the vision to catapult innovations in software development and community building.”
Among the first wave of grants many hit the bullseye, most notably the creation of an interoperable bridge that let Minecraft players step into the Web3 world and earn Trilium (TLM). PvP card battler Battledome, a free-to-play strategic space combat game from developer Restack.AI, was another early recipient of GHubs support, giving players a fresh way to utilize their Minion, Character, and Weapon NFTs.
While the aim of GHubs has always been to get more players through the virtual doors, as well as compel developers to recognize the merits of building on Alien Worlds, 2023 saw a renewed focus on building out crucial infrastructure in the form of SDKs, APIs, and oracle services.
Perhaps the best example of this was the WAX Cloud Wallet Mobile SDK, which made mobile development more palatable to devs. This unshowy behind-the-scenes work actually laid the groundwork for a more friction-free experience for creators and players who came along later.
From Mission Control’s revamped UI and Tool Loaning feature to comms tools like MSIG Chat, most of the major infrastructure upgrades of recent years can trace their roots back to a successful GHubs application. They mightn’t hog the headlines like the flashy game releases, but these projects were worth their weight in gold (or TLM). GHubs understood early that the metaverse isn’t built by one team but by dozens of small ones feeding off each other’s passion and progress.
Lore Takes Centre Stage 2025 has undoubtedly been the year of the story, following the launch of Tokenized Lore and its attendant tentacles, including a dedicated Lore DAO. Last year, GHubs rolled out Lore Community Grants and put an official Lore Scribe in place, and consequently writers felt a runway beneath their feet and a gentle hand on the back pushing them forward.
While the community chased Community Grants for story submissions, a number of projects gained support to build on Kevin J. Anderson’s foundational lore. These included LightningWorks’ Starblind, an immersive digital comic revolving around a Magor prison break with forgeable NFT covers (a first-person-shooter adaptation, Siege Worlds, is in the works), and deck-building strategy game Meta Battler which dropped new species-themed NFT packs. Meanwhile, Battlefleet Armageddon got a major narrative update to incorporate the latest lore.
Every project followed a similar route, in that it was conceived by those who already had some link to the Alien Worlds community; funding was dispensed based on the value the works could bring to the player base. In short, GHubs bet on storytellers the same way they once bet on coders.
Expect lore to remain a firm focus in 2026.
The Flywheel in Motion Over the last 3.5 years, some 90+ projects have benefitted from direct GHubs support. From tournaments to tools, games to comics, APIs to oracles, the initiative is committed to onboarding and retaining players, and boosting the long-term health of the Alien Worlds ecosystem. Rather than being shots in the dark, projects that win support must meet milestones, show measurable impact, and leave the door open for the next imagineer.
The result is a flywheel: better tools bring more players, more players make the sandbox appealing to builders, and more builders means more games (plus increased competition for grants). While the Worker Proposal System and Union DAOs now handle much of the day-to-day funding, GHubs has been the true engine of ecosystem growth, always at hand to inform and support.
Dacoco Ecosystem Manager Evan Dean says it best: “Galactic Hubs will keep seeding studios, co-funding with DAOs, and tying support to measurable retention and decentralization.” Amen to that.
From its early days as a humble mining game on WAX, Alien Worlds has transformed into a community-driven decentralized metaverse where players compete, collaborate, build, write, vote, and determine the direction of travel for an ever-expanding transmedia franchize.
At the heart of this creative wellspring is Tokenized Lore, a novel framework that has succeeded in building out the original sci-fi backstory into an intricate canon capable of supporting everything from short stories and NFT collections to comics and games.
Many people were key to the vision of Tokenized Lore, among them Dacoco’s Chief Marketing Officer Kevin Rose, who worked directly with master storyteller Kevin J. Anderson. Another of the central players was ‘Lore Librarian’ Lalothen, whose unique role combines a forensic knowledge of the existing mythology with a curator’s eye for fresh ideas and perspectives.
We recently spoke to Lalothen about the journey from formative lore to a thriving narrative ecosystem, the challenges of maintaining consistency at scale, and what the future might look like for the Alien Worlds Metaverse.
Meet Lalothen If you’re new to these parts, this might be the first time you’re reading about Lalothen. But even if you’re an OG, you mightn’t know exactly who he is. So… who is he? And how did he end up becoming a vital member of the Alien Worlds community?
“I’ve been a massive gamer and sci-fi fan for decades, and it was actually during Covid that I came across Alien Worlds,” he reveals. “I’d started to dabble a bit in crypto, and was interested in the concept of blockchain gaming. By chance, I came across an ad for the WAX blockchain, had a look around, spent some time playing a game called Prospectors, then finally looked into Alien Worlds after listening to Dacoco’s CEO Saro speak during a webinar.
“At the time, she made a very good case for the concept of decentralized gaming, individual ownership of game assets in the form of NFTs, and so on, so I decided to give it a try. The rest, as they say, is history.”
Rebuilding the Foundations Lalothen’s involvement in Alien Worlds led to the Tokenized Lore initiative, the first step of which was revamping the base mythology. “The original lore was more ‘bare bones’ and quite tongue-in-cheek,” Lalothen explains. “We wanted something more comprehensive that could translate into a robust framework for engaging storytelling.”
Alien Worlds Lore 2.0 fleshed out the origins of Trilium and Triactor Technology and created distinct alien races with their own tech, architecture, and cultures. And who better to write it than best-selling sci-fi author Kevin J. Anderson, whose credits include spin-off novels for Star Wars, Dune, and The X-Files?
After Anderson added his stardust, Lalothen helped develop his ideas into the official Tokenized Lore book: a written and visual compendium that serves as the terra firma of the Alien Worlds Metaverse.
“I had the pleasure of creative talks with Kevin on a couple of occasions. One of my favourite races – the Lopati – was his creation, and taking his concept and adding elements like architecture and technology was incredibly satisfying.
“When the first draft of the lore book was complete, it felt surreal. If you had asked me five years ago whether I thought I’d be collaborating on such a creative endeavour, with the involvement of a legendary author no less, I’d have laughed.”
Adapting the Lore Treatment What did the process of turning Anderson’s treatment into a definitive lore guide look like?
“Several of us worked on creating consistent imagery in different visual styles,” Lalothen recalls. Generative AI played a key role, producing concept art that the Lore Squad (a team of creative staff members) reviewed and refined.
Perhaps inevitably, a dedicated Lore DAO tasked with managing player contributions emerged. “The DAO allows members of the community to submit written content designed to expand the existing canon,” Lalothen says. Submissions are voted on by the community, and only those that pass the required threshold are canonized.
“I found the whole process very exciting, as it gave us an opportunity to create unique alien races, build a solid rationale regarding the ubiquitous nature of Trilium, and transform the lore into something that could be used as a spring board for creating new content: stories, comics, videogames, etc,” says Lalothen.
From Librarian to Curator Lalothen’s role as Lore Librarian grew organically from his early work on the framework. “I effectively carry that framework in my head now,” he says, “making it easy for me to review new content and determine how well it adheres to the existing canon, whether the way it expands the lore makes sense.”
Much of his time is now spent collaborating with creators, working closely with Galactic Hubs grantees to ensure their projects stay true to Alien Worlds. Lalothen also oversees the GHubs Lore Grant, which incentivizes high-quality writing that meaningfully expands the universe.
“A lot of my Librarian time is spent working with individuals or teams seeking to utilize or expand the lore. A good writer needs several things: a strong imagination, at least a decent grasp of the existing canon, and a willingness to accept and act upon feedback,” Lalothen explains.
When the program opened in mid-2024, many early submissions were rough, requiring extensive notes from Lalothen and his ‘Lore Scribe’, RED. Over time, writers improved dramatically, with Ender singled out as someone who “took his writing seriously and went the extra mile to show tangible improvement with every submission.”
Of the recurring pitfalls he sees, over-reliance on generative AI ranks high. “AI is a great tool for brainstorming a good plot and characters but the actual story output needs to be read through and often quite heavily edited, particularly for a longer story as Gen AI often introduces inconsistencies over time.”
Unsurprisingly, Lalothen views AI as an assistive tool rather than a replacement for human imagination and critical thought.
A Decentralized Alternative to Traditional Lore Tokenized Lore sets Alien Worlds apart from both traditional gaming IPs and many other web3 projects. Unlike the Star Wars Extended Universe, which expanded from a central canon, or Disney’s later consolidation, Alien Worlds hands creative responsibility to the community.
“We’ve created the basic framework; now it’s up to the people to flesh that out democratically, and in a meaningful way,” Lalothen says. There is no opaque central authority deciding canonicity; players decide.
“Because creative responsibility is in the hands of the community, there won’t be a situation like when Disney took over the Star Wars IP: vast swathes of community-created lore spanning decades – considered canon by the community and in some cases by Lucasfilm – were suddenly faced with the prospect of being delegitimized.”
What’s Next? Lalothen expresses excitement about a number of upcoming projects, including Alien Legends and New Genesis, both of which are being built around the established canon in story and visuals.
“My hope is that the community continues to expand the canon through the Lore DAO,” he says, while acknowledging the technical hurdles that make the current system challenging to use. Encouragingly, the team is working on a fresh initiative to further gamify the revamped lore, though details remain under wraps for now.
For aspiring contributors, his advice is straightforward: “Make sure your writing meshes well with the existing canon, expands it in some way – no matter if it’s just a very small way – and above all, that it makes for compelling reading. Don’t be shy about asking for help or critique, either from me or other community members willing to read and offer feedback.”
Alien Worlds is no longer just a game, it’s a universe shaped by its players. With Lalothen and the Lore DAO guiding the narrative, the canon will continue to grow in ways that are as unpredictable as they are exciting. Whether you’re a miner, a writer, or simply a fan of science fiction, the invitation is open: come build something, tell a story, and help decide what happens next.
The Alien Worlds UI acts as a portal for metaverse competitions. The system runs entirely on-chain, giving players complete visibility over competition details, rules, and reward distribution. Being entirely on-chain allows game developers (regardless of platform) to simply integrate into the Alien Worlds economy while also providing complete flexibility for game UI integration.
This system supports community developers, DAOs, and players who want to run events with clear rules, tracked performance, and rewards in Trilium, Shards, or both! Competitions can be tied to mining, missions, or other game platforms such as STEAM, mobile app stores or browser. It gives players a way to discover competitions, follow progress, and join through each game’s site, with prize distribution handled through a process that is visible from start to finish.
How It Works Each competition follows a defined lifecycle that moves from registration to live play, then through result processing and final reward distribution. Players can register during the opening phase, take part once the competition begins, and track scores as the event progresses. After the competition ends, results are reviewed before rewards are made available. This structure removes guesswork and keeps every stage of the competition aligned with how it was set up.
Joining a Competition Competitions can be found through the Alien Worlds interface, where they are grouped by their current stage so you can quickly find where to participate.
Upcoming competitions appear during the preparing stage, where you can review the details and register before the event begins. Once a competition moves into the playing stage, it becomes live and scores can be updated as the event progresses. Some competitions may allow late registration at this stage, depending on how they are configured.
After the competition ends, it moves into processing and then auditing, where results are finalized and reviewed. Once approved, the competition enters the rewarding stage, where eligible players can claim their rewards. Completed Competition remain visible for reference after all rewards have been claimed.
Before joining, you can review key details such as reward pools, timing, participation limits, and where the competition takes place.
Creating a Competition Anyone can create a competition by interacting with the competitions contract. The process starts by calling the initcomp action, which creates the competition and sets the foundation for how it will run.
When calling initcomp, you define:
Title and description Start and end time Minimum and maximum players Whether late registration is allowed A link to the experience players will use The account that submits this transaction becomes the admin of the competition. From that point forward, the admin manages the competition through each stage.
Adding Rewards and Running the Competition After creating the competition, rewards are added directly to it.
Trilium is added by transferring tokens to the competition contract and including the competition ID in the memo. This builds the reward pool for the event. Multiple contributors can support the same competition, allowing communities, DAOs, or individuals to contribute.
Shard rewards can also be added through the system using the addshards action.
Once the competition is live, the admin can update scores using scoreset or scoreincr. These actions track player performance during the event.
When the competition ends, the admin assigns rewards using the declwinner action. This defines how the reward pool is split based on results. After review and approval, rewards move to a claimable state and players can claim them through the system.
Rewards Each competition defines its reward structure before it begins. Prize pools can include Trilium and Shards, with allocations set in advance. After results are reviewed and approved, rewards become available to claim. This ensures that payouts follow the original structure without manual intervention.
Transparency at Every Stage Competitions are designed to be clear and verifiable from start to finish. Prize pools are visible before you join. Results pass through a review stage before rewards are released. If issues are raised, they can be addressed before final approval. If a competition does not meet requirements or is rejected, rewards are returned to contributors. This helps maintain confidence across the ecosystem.
What This Means for Players Competitions add a new layer of activity across Alien Worlds. You can take part in structured events, track your performance during live play, and earn rewards tied to your results. You can also create and run your own competitions, define the rules, and support rewards for others to participate. This system supports a more connected and active environment, where gameplay, rewards, and community participation work together.
Looking to Create a Competition? If you have a game that is active in the Alien Worlds metaverse, then reach out to Evan at Galactic Hubs: [email protected]. Competition reward auditing and approvals will be handled by the Galactic Hubs for a period of time before operations are decentralized to the community.
Trilium and Shard competition sponsorships are available upon review.
PANews reported on March 4th that the Angle Protocol community passed proposal AIP-112, agreeing to orderly shut down the EURA and USDA stablecoins during a one-year transition period. Users can transfer their EURA and USDA from various blockchains back to Ethereum via the Angle App before March 1, 2027, and exchange them for EURC and USDC at a 1:1 ratio. VaultManager positions can be closed and collateral can be retrieved. After the transition period, the protocol will cease operation, and EURA and USDA may become de-pegged. Remaining reserves will be recovered by multisignature and airdropped proportionally to unredeemed holders already on Ethereum via Merkl. Users will have a one-year window to claim the airdrop after it goes live.
TLDR: Angle Protocol’s AIP-112 vote approved an orderly wind down of both EURA and USDA stablecoins. EURA and USDA holders can redeem tokens 1:1 for EURC and USDC until March 1, 2027, on Ethereum. Remaining reserves after redemption will be airdropped pro-rata to eligible Ethereum-based holders. The Angle team now operates Merkl, a leading DeFi incentive platform, as their primary focus.
Angle Protocol is officially winding down its EURA and USDA stablecoins following a community governance vote. The decision, passed under AIP-112, brings the decentralized stablecoin project to a close.
Holders of both tokens have a structured, two-year window to recover their funds at full value. The team now focuses on Merkl, a DeFi incentive platform, as its next major project. Acting quickly remains the most important step for all current holders.
What Holders Need to Know About the Redemption Period The wind-down plan begins with a one-year redemption period running until March 1, 2027. During this time, EURA holders can redeem their tokens 1:1 for EURC on Ethereum.
USDA holders can redeem 1:1 for USDC through the Angle Transmuter on the Angle App. Holders on other chains must bridge their funds back to Ethereum before initiating any swap.
Angle Protocol has been clear about what happens if holders miss this window. After March 1, 2027, the protocol will cease active operations entirely.
Both EURA and USDA are expected to depeg once the redemption mechanism is turned off. Taking action well before the deadline is the safest course for current token holders.
VaultManager position holders are included in the redemption plan as well. They can close their positions and recover collateral during the active period.
All actions must be completed through the Angle App on Ethereum. No other platforms or channels have been announced for these transactions.
The team confirmed the decision through their official channel, noting: “the Angle community has voted in favor of an orderly wind down of the EURA and USDA stablecoins (AIP-112).” This confirms the move was driven by formal governance, not a unilateral team decision.
Final Settlement and the Extended Claim Window After the redemption period ends, the protocol moves into Phase 2 for final settlement. The guardian multisig will recover all reserves remaining within the protocol at that stage.
Those reserves will then be distributed pro-rata to the EURA and USDA holders still on Ethereum. Only holders who have bridged back to Ethereum before this stage will qualify for the distribution.
The airdrop will be executed and distributed through Merkl, the incentive platform run by the Angle team. After the airdrop goes live, recipients will have one additional year to claim their EURC or USDC.
Claims can be made directly through the Merkl platform during this period. Together, both phases create a total two-year window for holders to recover funds.
The reasoning behind the wind-down traces back to declining activity on Angle Protocol stablecoins over time. The team noted that yield-bearing stablecoins now exist natively across vaults and lending protocols available everywhere.
Running dedicated infrastructure for a shrinking user base creates unnecessary smart contract risk. Operational overhead with little benefit to a diminishing community was another factor in the decision.
The Angle team now builds Merkl full-time and encourages the community to follow that project. Holders are advised to act early and not delay until deadlines approach.
Danske Bank: Federal Reserve may raise interest rates at least twice
Danske Bank senior analyst Kirstine Kundby-Nielsen and chief analyst Jens Peter Sorensen stated in a report that they expect the U.S. Federal Reserve to raise interest rates twice, in December 2026 and March 2027 respectively, bringing the federal funds rate to 4.00%-4.25%. "However, we emphasize there is a risk that rate hikes could come earlier and that the number of hikes may exceed two," they said. The first Federal Reserve meeting led by Kevin Warsh sent a clear signal that the Fed is increasingly moving away from forward guidance surrounding future monetary policy decisions. "All signs indicate that (the Fed) is leaning toward having greater discretion in future policy decisions," the Danske Bank analysts added. Source: Jin10

The entire cryptocurrency market is down across the board; funding rates indicate BTC remains in bearish territory, while ETH’s bullish sentiment is significantly stronger than BTC’s.
According to HTX market data, Bitcoin is currently trading at $61,684.51, down 1.88% in the past 24 hours; Ethereum is at $1,647.36, down 1.48% over the same period. Current funding rates on major centralized exchanges (CEXs) show a clear divergence between BTC and ETH: BTC rates across all platforms have fallen back into bearish territory, while ETH rates on most platforms remain above the neutral range, indicating significantly stronger bullish sentiment for ETH than BTC. BlockBeats Note: Funding rates are fees set by cryptocurrency trading platforms to maintain the balance between contract prices and underlying asset prices, typically applicable to perpetual contracts. They serve as a fund exchange mechanism between long and short traders; platforms do not collect these fees, instead using them to adjust the cost or return of traders holding contracts, so that contract prices stay close to the underlying asset prices. Silver plunged 6% intraday, breaching the defense of long positions, as a smart money entity reaped $2.16 million in shorting profits.
According to Hyperinsight’s monitoring, the Silver (SILVER) contract on Hyperliquid is currently priced at $56.78, down 6.34% over 24 hours, with a trading volume of $263 million, ranking first in the precious metals sector. Driven by gold prices falling below $4,000 and safe-haven funds flowing back into chip stocks, short sellers have reaped significant profits. Notably, smart money address 0x49e has been shorting Silver on 3x leverage since April 29 at a high of $78.79, holding a position worth $5.77 million, and has already booked a precise profit of $2.16 million (+81%). On-chain Silver whales are overall bearish: the nominal position size of short sellers is approximately 1.5 times that of long positions. The average entry price for short positions is around $65.05, and the current price is 12.7% lower than this level. Long positions are overall trapped, with an average entry price of about $59.75, roughly 5% above the current price. Current short sellers have sufficient safety margins: the nearest short liquidation line stands at $77.18, some 36% above the current price, meaning short sellers face almost no liquidation pressure. China's Supreme People's Procuratorate announced a major drug-related money laundering case: Li Moubo laundered over 48 million yuan via virtual currency and was sentenced to death after combined punishment for multiple crimes.
On June 25, China’s Supreme People’s Procuratorate (SPP) held a press conference. Miao Shengming, SPP’s deputy procurator-general, stated that procuratorial organs are thoroughly investigating both self-money laundering and third-party money laundering crimes, and vigorously promoting the recovery of drug-related assets to ensure full coverage in the investigation and punishment of drug-related money laundering offenses. From January 2025 to May 2026, procuratorial bodies nationwide prosecuted more than 1,200 individuals for drug-related money laundering crimes. A notable example is the major cross-border case of drug smuggling, trafficking, transportation and money laundering involving Li Moubo and others, which was supervised by the SPP and handled by Chongqing’s procuratorial organs. Li laundered over 48 million yuan via virtual currency and was sentenced to death after receiving combined punishment for multiple crimes in accordance with the law. (Xinhua News Agency)
Angle Protocol will sunset its EURA and USDA stablecoins.EURA was once the largest euro-pegged stablecoin on the market.Interest in euro stablecoins has been increasing. But so has competition from lending protocols.EURA, once the largest euro-pegged stablecoin on the market, will shut down due to waning interest, its creator said.
Issued by Angle Protocol, EURA held the top spot among euro stablecoins for a brief moment at the end of 2021, when its circulating supply topped 180 million. It was overtaken in January 2022 by Tether’s EURT, which announced its own closure in 2024.
As of Wednesday, EURA was the 10th largest euro stablecoin, with a market value just under $4 million, according to DefiLlama data.
“While the stablecoins remain fully collateralized and functional, maintaining an idle protocol indefinitely creates ongoing operational overhead and liability for a diminishing user base,” Angle Protocol co-founder Pablo Veyrat wrote in February, when he first proposed the protocol’s closure.
“Rather than letting the protocol languish, we propose an orderly wind down that gives all participants ample time to exit their positions with no haircut.”
Veyrat did not immediately return DL News’ request for comment on Wednesday.
Angle tokenholders voted unanimously on Sunday to shutter EURA as well as a dollar-pegged stablecoin, USDA.
The vote only drew four voters, one of whom cast 98% of the votes — a sign of plummeting interest in the protocol. Only one prior vote drew fewer votes.
In a post on X, Angle attributed the declining interest to a dramatic change in the stablecoin market.
“The decentralised stablecoin space has also fundamentally changed,” Angle wrote. “Yield-bearing stablecoins are now essentially a branding layer on top of vaults and lending protocols that already exist everywhere. There is no strong reason to keep running dedicated infrastructure for something others do natively.”
Indeed, the market for euro-pegged stablecoins has only grown over the past year.
In March 2025, there was $315 million worth of euro-pegged stablecoins in circulation. That figure has since grown 131%, to $729 million.
Hello! This chart will be available in a few moments
Angle's EURA was once the largest euro-pegged stablecoin on the market. Circle’s EURC has led the way. As of Wednesday, it accounted for more than half of all euro stablecoins in circulation, with a market capitalisation above $$60 million.
Last month, S&P Global Ratings said top European banks are likely to issue euro-pegged digital tokens this year, with the market to surge to €1.1 billion, or $1.2 billion, by 2030.
Angle holders will be able to redeem their stablecoins for the collateral they posted, or exchange them on a one-to-one basis with Circle’s euro and dollars stablecoins.
After one year, Angle will discontinue the stablecoins’ redemption mechanism, meaning they will almost certainly lose their pegs. Still, there will be ways to redeem outstanding EURA and USDA tokens at a discount.

Trader Joe, the decentralized exchange (DEX) dominating Avalanche, has surpassed PancakeSwap. It is now the second-largest DEX by fees generated in the past 24 hours.
According to an Artemis Researcher citing Token Terminal data, the DEX processed over $142 million in trading volume on the last day, with 98% of fees from tokens based in Avalanche. This dominance points to how crucial the DEX is in the high-throughput blockchain, whose on-chain activity has been rising in recent months.
Trader Joe flips PancakeSwap | Source: Emperor Osmo via X Trader Joe also confirmed that it facilitated over $100 million in trading volume through its Liquidity Book. Through this feature, traders can create tailored strategies while benefiting from low fees. The Liquidity Book is designed to significantly enhance efficiency and flexibility versus other traditional automated market maker (AMM) platforms like Uniswap.
In the past 24 hours, Trader Joe processed over $216,000 in fees, above $151,000 recorded by PancakeSwap–a DEX on the BNB Chain ecosystem. While impressive, their combined figure is less than half that recorded by Uniswap, a DEX that’s active on multiple platforms and blockchains, including BNB Chain.
During the same period, Uniswap generated over $1.9 million in trading fees, most of which came from Ethereum, where the DEX is actively used.
Avalanche price trending upward on the daily chart | Source: AVAXUSDT on Binance, TradingView Whether Trader Joe’s will cement its position as the second most active DEX after Uniswap remains to be seen; however, in recent months, the Avalanche ecosystem has been trending following Solana and other low-fee but high-throughput environments, including Ethereum-layer-2s.
Will Avalanche’s Focus On Meme Coins Cement Trader Joe’s Position? More meme coin projects appear keen to deploy on Avalanche’s sub-nets, benefiting from low fees and high scalability. To encourage participation and meme coin projects to launch on the platform, Avalanche Foundation announced a new initiative in late December 2023.
As part of a culture drive, the foundation revealed that it would consider buying meme coins, drawing inspiration from the impact of Bonk in Solana. Through their “Culture Catalyst,” the foundation will explore and acquire potent meme coins deploying on Avalanche.
Considering how viral meme coins can be, it is likely that Trader Joe, a famous DEX on Avalanche, will benefit from this drive. When writing, the foundation has not revealed whether it has bought any meme coin.
Trader Joe’s TVL rising | Source: DeFiLlama However, what’s clear is that Trader Joe has been growing, looking at its total value locked (TVL) in the past few trading weeks. According to DeFiLlama, Trader Joe’s TVL stands at over $172 million, of which more than $126 million are Avalanche-based assets.

In a significant move for OTC traders, Liquid Markets, operated by DWF Labs, has announced the official listing of four prominent tokens: Joe (JOE), Milady Meme Coin (LADYS), FLOKI (FLOKI), and IoTeX (IOTX). This development opens up exciting trading opportunities for users. Moreover, it allows them to engage in transactions involving these tokens against USDT pairs.
Trader Joe’s JOE, Milady Meme Coin (LADYS), and FLOKI Tokens Added to Liquid Markets Trader Joe is a decentralized exchange (DEX) on the Avalanche (AVAX) blockchain. It launches its native token, Joe (JOE), on Liquid Markets. DeFi services like yield farming, swapping, and staking are available from Trader Joe. Once listed on Liquid Markets, traders can easily access the JOE token. This simplifies trading in the Trader Joe ecosystem by increasing liquidity.
Milady Meme Coin (LADYS) is a notable Liquid Markets addition. LADYS, a Milady NFT meme coin, tokenizes the fully memetically optimized white pill. More meme-based crypto assets will be available after Liquid Markets lists LADYS. This meets rising demand from users entering this market.
Additionally, Liquid Markets now allows FLOKI (FLOKI) token sales. The Floki Ecosystem utility token is FLOKI. Since listing on Liquid Markets, FLOKI is more accessible to traders. This allows them to use it in the Floki Ecosystem and join the meme-inspired token trend.
IoTeX (IOTX) Joins Liquid Markets, Strengthening Machine Open Economics The last of the four new tokens is IoTeX (IOTX). It provides a decentralized platform to strengthen machine open economics. IoTeX began building a decentralized ecosystem where humans and machines can trust and freely interact in 2017. IOTX’s listing on Liquid Markets aims to attract more users to the IoTeX ecosystem, which will boost machine economy innovation and collaboration.
Addition of these four tokens to Liquid Markets will greatly improve trading for all users. Adding tokens gives traders more options and flexibility at Liquid Markets. This allows them diversify and find new investments.
Joe (JOE), Milady Meme Coin (LADYS), FLOKI (FLOKI), and IoTeX (IOTX) are now listed on Liquid Markets, demonstrating DWF Labs’ commitment to providing a complete and ever-changing trading experience. The crypto market changes, but Liquid Markets stays ahead by offering traders a wide range of tokens and encouraging new digital asset ideas.

A closely followed crypto analyst believes one decentralized video-streaming altcoin project is about to go on a massive rally.
Pseudonymous trader Kaleo tells his 632,300 followers on the social media platform X that Theta Network (THETA), a platform for decentralized video delivery, could soar by more than 200% as the social finance (SoFi) space finds renewed interest.
[adinserter block="1"]
”I wouldn’t sleep on THETA here. I’m still incredibly bullish on SoFi over the next few months as you have tokens like ARENA and the FT (Friend.tech) airdrop that will be rolling out and bringing more attention back to the sector.”
Source: Kaleo/X Looking at his chart, the trader suggests that THETA could soar beyond $10. THETA is trading for $3.10 at time of writing, up 10.5% in the last 24 hours.
Next up, the trader says he is bullish on Avalanche (AVAX)-based native governance token of TraderJoe (JOE), the biggest decentralized exchange (DEX) on Avalanche.
“With the AVAX memecoin rush kicking off this week (million dollar of incentives for LP (liquidity pool) staking), JOE is easily still one of my highest conviction plays here.”
Source: Kaleo/X Looking at his chart, the trader suggests JOE will increase to $3.50 around April. Joe is trading for $0.92 at time of writing, up 10.5% in the last 24 hours.
Lastly, the trader is bullish on BNB, the native asset of the world’s largest crypto exchange platform. He takes a look at BNB in its Bitcoin pair (BNB/BTC) to back up his thesis.
“BNB/BTC. Full send soon.”
Source: Kaleo/X Looking at his chart, the trader suggests that BNB/BTC is printing a bullish pattern by setting higher low prices and could soon soar to 0.0102 BTC ($710).
BNB/BTC is trading for 0.008496 BTC ($591) at time of writing, down slightly in the last 24 hours.
The bankrupt FTX exchange emptied its FTT treasury account to a new wallet address on April 18.
Arkham Intelligence's dashboard showed that the transferred assets from the FTT Treasury wallet include 195.87 million FTT tokens valued at approximately $247 million, 1,938 ETH valued at around $6 million, and 6.36 million JOE tokens worth $3.25 million.
As a result, the Treasury wallet now holds only about $205 worth of digital assets, a significant reduction from the wallet's balance, which stood at about $612 million at the start of the year.
FTT, the native token of a now-defunct FTX crypto exchange, once gave customers discounts and privileges during the firm's heyday. However, revelations during the trial of former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried showed that the digital asset was used to manipulate the financial records of the exchange and its affiliated trading firm, Alameda Research.
Since the exchange's dramatic collapse, FTT has plummeted by a staggering 98% from its peak of $84. Over the past month, it has declined by more than 34%, with a further drop of approximately 28% in the last seven days alone.
FTX Europe license remains suspendedMeanwhile, FTX regulatory issues continue amid its bankruptcy proceedings.
According to an April 16 notice, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) prolonged the suspension of its European subsidiary license until September 2024.

The financial regulator's directive mandates that FTX Europe adhere to the Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets Law.
Consequently, FTX Europe remains barred from offering investment services, engaging in business transactions, or accepting new clients in light of this regulatory action. The firm is also prohibited from advertising investment services.
Conversely, FTX Europe must fulfill all pending transactions for itself and its clients upon request. Additionally, the SEC mandates the company to reimburse all funds and financial instruments from its clients.
JOE is the platform token of TraderJoe, a decentralized exchange (DEX) on Avalanche. TraderJoe also offers lending and borrowing services through BankerJoe. The JOE token can be staked to receive protocol fees and vote on governance proposals.
Trader Joe is an AMM-based DEX built on the Avalanche blockchain. Most AMM projects on Avalanche, such as Pangolin and Zero Exchange modeled after Uniswap, or Olive and Lydia Finance modeled after Pancakeswap, are inspired by other famous projects on Ethereum and BSC.
Despite its recent launch, Trader Joe (JOE) surpassed Pangolin (PNG) in August to become the AMM DEX with the largest TVL in the Avalanche ecosystem, reaching $500 million in TVL.
Trader Joe’s unique feature is combining DEX with Lending & Leveraged Trading, helping increase liquidity and attracting more funds to the project.
Trader Joe is primarily a DEX responsible for providing swap and trading services. However, this project also offers other essential DeFi features like staking, yield farming, and lending. Additionally, Zap, a new feature of the project, allows users to change LP tokens with a single click.
There are two use cases for the JOE token:
Governance: JOE token holders have a say in decision-making. Proposals are determined with JOEVOTE.Reward to token holders: JOE is given as a reward to stakers, farmers, and liquidity providers.Additionally, Cryptofish and 0xmurloc are co-founders of JOE, while Hruday serves as the frontend engineer.
Overall, Trader Joe takes a long-term approach to governance. The Grow Club is Trader Joe’s first governance panel, a Community Club overseeing the selection and ongoing management of the platform’s Community Farms. This initiative helps Trader Joe operate as a fully decentralized and transparent ecosystem while solidifying the platform’s status as the number one liquidity provider on Avalanche.
Moreover, xJOE is the primary staking mechanism in the Trader Joe ecosystem. When you stake your JOE, you effectively exchange your JOE for xJOE. Over time, holding xJOE tokens will always earn you more JOE.

Renzo's liquid restaking token (LRT), ezETH, experienced a significant depegging event that liquidated millions from “loopers” using the token as collateral on leverage protocols like Gearbox.
According to data from CoinMarketCap, the digital asset's value plunged to a low of $2,755 before recovering to its current level of $3,178 as of press time.
Notably, decentralized exchange Uniswap witnessed a more severe depegging of ezETH, with its value dropping to as low as $700, attributed to liquidity challenges.
Renzo is a prominent liquid restaking protocol, with over $3 billion worth of assets locked on its platform, according to DeFillama data.
Liquidation galore
The DeFi protocol Gearbox confirmed that the depeg led to the liquidation of several Credit Accounts.
The protocol's founder, 0xmikko, provided more insights into the situation, saying:
“115 Credit Accounts were liquidated, 10,650 ezETH were sold on Balancer pool. Liquidation losses of 25.77 ETH were automatically covered by internal Gearbox reserve fund, no action needed.”
Simultaneously, Cork Protocol, another DeFi platform, explained that the liquidations caused a substantial sell-off of ezETH previously held as collateral. This flood of supply overwhelmed the market, driving the price of ezETH down to 0.2.
Interestingly, these liquidations occurred alongside the release of Renzo's native REZ token, sparking the emergence of Renzo-related phishing scams on social platform X (formerly Twitter).
Web3 security firm Scam Sniffer identified two instances where Renzo users cumulatively lost more than $500,000 to a malicious permit signature scam.

Amidst this market turmoil, trader czsamsunsb.eth capitalized on the situation, investing 4,099 ETH to acquire 4,221 ezETH. This move proved lucrative, as the trader earned a remarkable profit of 121.65 ETH, per Lookonchain's findings.
What does this mean for LRTs?Crypto analyst Tommy explained that the depegging represents a significant risk across all LRTs, even with withdrawal options enabled. He noted that a depegging event in a decentralized exchange (DEX) pool could occur due to temporary imbalances.
Similarly, DeFi researcher Ignas warned of potential exacerbation in LRT depegging, mainly if Eigenlayer, the platform where these tokens operate, introduces two key upgrades of slashing and permissionless AVS.
Ignas explained that an AVS malfunction leading to slashing could reduce restaked ETH balances by a hypothetical 5%. While this might seem manageable for direct Eigenlayer stakers, it could trigger substantial disruption to LRT pegs due to liquidity concerns and subsequent panic-driven mass withdrawals.
He noted that while prices may stabilize post-slash, the interim period could witness harsh liquidations, and the risk of slashing grows as more AVSes come online.
Consequently, he added:
“It's all FUD right now as slashing won't derail Eigenlayer but LRTs 1) with low liquidity 2) and are widely accepted as collateral can cause disproportional damage.”
Curators may now create custom lending markets by using this distinctive, institutional-grade lending infrastructure . Over the course of seven months, Gearbox users have created $2.8 billion in trading volume across Ethereum DEXs. Gearbox Protocol, which has a USDC vault curated by Re7 Labs, has debuted on Etherlink. The deployment uses treasury-backed tokens like mTBILL, mBASIS, and mRe7YIELD to provide institutional-grade strategies to the Tezos Layer 2.
As DeFi’s credit layer, Gearbox links customers looking for composable leverage across return-generating options with passive liquidity providers. Curators may now create custom lending markets by using this distinctive, institutional-grade lending infrastructure thanks to the introduction of permissionless.
“We’ve been looking for the right L2 to expand Gearbox Permissionless, and Etherlink’s performance metrics and ecosystem convinced us,” said Mikhail Lazarev, Founder and CTO at Gearbox Protocol. “When you can get soft confirmations in under 500ms with fees that are negligible, combined with well-known DeFi protocols, it opens up entirely new possibilities for capital efficiency in leveraged strategies.”
As a vault curator, Re7 Labs contributes substantial experience, overseeing more than 700 million TVL over more than 100 pools on 14 blockchains. Re7, one of the leading DeFi curators in the world, uses unique risk management frameworks to generate profits. In order to increase underlying returns while upholding cautious risk criteria, the vault technique loops return-bearing tokens against USDC.
Evgeny Gokhberg, Managing Partner at Re7 Capital, said: “Etherlink’s infrastructure and Gearbox’s credit layer give us the ideal foundation to scale our strategies. We’re bringing institutional-grade yield to a new audience with the same discipline and risk management we apply across $1B+ in DeFi capital.”
Incentives from Apple Farm Season 2 and GEAR token payouts from the Gearbox DAO will also help the vault. Over the course of seven months, Gearbox users have created $2.8 billion in trading volume across Ethereum DEXs, and the protocol’s TVL increased by 230% to $400 million in H1 2025.
“Having Gearbox launch on Etherlink was a big win for us,” said Anthony Hayot, Head of DeFi Adoption at Nomadic Labs. “They bring serious institutional credibility, four years, zero hacks, $400 million TVL, and a product that will give real value to Etherlink users.”
For more over four years, Gearbox has had a perfect security record with no vulnerabilities or bad debt. The protocol operates under stringent governance mechanisms with 24-hour timelocks for vault parameter changes, and it has made large investments in audits by respectable firms.
Following the successful launch of Apple Farm Season 2 with over $3 million in incentives, the integration of Curve Finance to enable low-slippage stablecoin swaps, the launch of Liquid Bitcoin (LBTC) by Lombard Finance, and a 68.4% TVL increase in July that placed Etherlink among the fastest-rising Layer 2s, the Gearbox deployment comes after a period of significant momentum for Etherlink.
Through Credit Accounts and carefully chosen vaults overseen by knowledgeable asset managers, the decentralized credit layer known as Gearbox Protocol makes it possible to use composable leverage across DeFi possibilities.
