Ballard Power reported mixed first quarter results with a slight sales miss offset by substantial year-over-year margin increases and operating expense reductions. While the company's core markets remain under pressure from competing battery-electric solutions, more than a decade of cash runway provides substantial option value. While Ballard Power's data center opportunity remains limited to small backup power solutions, momentum appears to be the name of the game right now.

Robinhood is building a vertically integrated global financial platform using crypto infrastructure, not just adding crypto as an asset class. Despite crypto revenue halving to $134M in Q1 2026, HOOD grew total transaction-based revenue to $623M, demonstrating resilience and diversification. Key structural moves—Robinhood Chain, Bitstamp acquisition, and tokenized equities—position HOOD for long-term competitive advantage beyond crypto cycles.
Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev says the company’s securities business can now serve as an underwriter.
Tenev’s announcement on X was flagged in a report Tuesday (June 9) from Seeking Alpha, which notes Robinhood’s expansion from trading platform to underwriter for initial public offerings (IPOs) could unlock higher-fee revenue streams and strengthen its position in capital markets.
Robinhood in 2021 launched IPO Access, a tool designed to give “everyday investors” an opportunity to buy shares of companies at their listing price. As PYMNTS wrote at the time, this is a privilege typically reserved for wealthy or institutional investors.
Since then, the report notes, retail participation in IPOs has moved from an afterthought to a central allocation strategy, shifting the question from “why allocate to retail at all” to “how big can the allocation be.”
Tenev, who is also Robinhood’s co-founder, added that becoming an underwriter, rather than simply a selling group member, is a natural step to better serve customers and issuers.
Seeking Alpha pointed out that Robinhood recently removed its PDT restrictions, doing away with the $25,000 minimum and pattern day trading flags, broadening access for retail traders.

Tenev announced last month that Robinhood’s first fund designed to expand retail investors’ access to private markets had attracted 150,000 retail investors.
In a speech at The Wall Street Journal’s Future of Everything event, Tenev said the company took its Ventures Fund I public as a public closed-end fund listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
“You can think of it as like a publicly traded venture capital firm with daily liquidity, no accreditation requirements, and no carry — so just a competitive management fee, no carry,” he said, adding that the fund includes “frontier companies” such as OpenAI, Databricks and Stripe.
Robinhood launched the fund because there are private companies raising capital at valuations in the high hundreds of billions, and there are likely to be multiple companies getting into the trillions, before an initial public offering (IPO) that permits retail investors to participate.
“It’s also just the beginning,” Tenev said. “The aspiration is, if you’re a company raising a seed round and a Series A round, so just first capital, retail should be a big chunk of that round, much like it now is in the public markets, and we should let those people in at the ground floor so that they can actually benefit from this potential appreciation that’s increasingly happening in the private markets.”
Key Takeaways HOOD is routing event contracts through Rothera, its Susquehanna-built prediction-market exchange.Robinhood caps prediction-market fees at $0.01 per contract, boosting appeal for active traders.HOOD's World Cup contracts test demand; regulation, sports-betting scrutiny and liquidity remain risks. Robinhood Markets’ (HOOD - Free Report) next revenue growth lever may not be another stock-trading feature. It will likely be Rothera, the prediction-market exchange built with Susquehanna International Group. After using outside venues such as Kalshi and ForecastEx, HOOD is now beginning to route event contracts through the infrastructure it effectively controls.
Prediction markets have become one of Robinhood’s fastest-growing products, with more than 12 billion event contracts traded in 2025 and more than 16 billion so far in 2026. By moving flow to Rothera, the company can potentially capture more economics, control listings, improve pricing and create a tighter in-app customer experience.
The lower fee structure strengthens this strategy. Robinhood’s new prediction-market pricing model charges commissions based on contract price and order size, with fees capped at 1 cent per contract. For active event-contract traders, this could make Rothera more attractive than competing platforms.
The World Cup gives Rothera its first major mainstream test. Robinhood has begun offering soccer event contracts through the platform, while Rothera’s early rollout showed demand in baseball markets, including more than $2 million in first-weekend trading volume. For Robinhood’s retail base, simple access matters: users do not need a separate crypto wallet, offshore account or niche prediction-market app.
Rothera also gives Robinhood strategic leverage against Kalshi. If meaningful flow migrates in-house, Kalshi could lose a key retail distribution channel, while HOOD gains control over fees, liquidity and product expansion.
Risks remain around regulation, sports-betting scrutiny and liquidity. But HOOD has the customer base, Susquehanna’s market-making expertise and a CFTC-regulated venue. This makes Rothera a potential backbone for Robinhood’s next major business line beyond stocks, options, crypto and futures.
How Diversified are HOOD’s Peers in Terms of Business? Two close peers of HOOD are Charles Schwab (SCHW - Free Report) and Interactive Brokers Group (IBKR - Free Report) .
Schwab is diversifying by expanding beyond traditional brokerage into wealth management, advisory services, banking, lending, retirement solutions and asset management. Its focus on fee-based advisory assets, net interest income and broader client financial services helps reduce dependence on trading commissions. Schwab’s diversified model supports steadier revenues, deeper client relationships and improved resilience across market cycles.
Interactive Brokers is diversifying by expanding beyond core brokerage into global market access, high-yield cash balances, securities lending, institutional services, retirement accounts and advisor solutions. Interactive Brokers’ growing interest income, international client base and technology-driven platform reduce reliance on trading commissions while supporting scalable growth across retail, professional and institutional investors.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Robinhood’s 2026 earnings suggests a year-over-year decline of 10.7%. The trend is likely to reverse next year, with earnings expected to jump 34.5%. In the past week, earnings estimates for 2026 and 2027 have been revised lower to $1.83 and $2.46 per share, respectively.

Accounts linked to military spouses reportedly bet correctly on the ousting of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, days before U.S. officials seized him in January.
Now Kalshi is moving to force some traders to disclose who they work for.
At least one of those accounts has been referred to federal investigators over suspicions that someone used nonpublic information to make the wager, according to a person familiar with the matter.
Kalshi Wants To Know Where You WorkThe exchange said it plans to require users in some markets to submit an online form naming their employer before they can trade sensitive contracts.
The rule is expected to cover markets tied to company performance and national security, including the war in Iran.
Kalshi will not verify the information unless it flags suspicious activity, a spokeswoman said. The company is also rolling out enhanced whistleblower tools.
The Insider Trading WaveThe spouses are not an isolated case.
In April, a U.S. soldier was charged with using classified national security data to trade the Maduro operation on Polymarket.
Last month, a Google employee was charged with using insider access to the company’s annual search trends report to net 1.2 million on the same platform.
Those cases explain why Kalshi’s audit committee pushed for disclosure.
Washington Draws New LinesThe CFTC is set to propose its own rules Wednesday, seeking the power to block wagers it deems against the public interest or vulnerable to manipulation while clearing most sports betting.
The target is micro-betting, where a single person can swing the outcome. Regulators are wary of contracts on player injuries and “first-pitch” gambling, the category that snared Cleveland Guardians All-Star closer Emmanuel Clase, who was charged last year over a pitch-rigging scheme.
Bets on war, terrorism and assassinations would likely be off limits, but this would not impact Polymarket’s offshore offerings.
The agency stopped short of outright bans, opting for case-by-case review. That posture reflects Trump-appointed chair Michael Selig, who has steered the CFTC toward a permissive stance.
The Tradeable AngleRetail flow runs through Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ:HOOD), where prediction markets are the fastest-growing product line by revenue.
For ICE and Robinhood, the wager is that regulation legitimizes prediction markets rather than killing them.

Investor confidence in the online brokerage's growth prospects was boosted by a combination of strong operating metrics, bullish analyst commentary, and a strategic expansion into investment banking.
The stock was lifted by fresh price-target increases from both Goldman Sachs and Cantor Fitzgerald, as Wall Street pointed to accelerating activity across Robinhood's trading platform and growing optimism around its rapidly expanding prediction-markets business.
The rally provides a boost to the stock that has seen an over 22% decline this year.
Goldman Sachs analyst James Yaro raised his price target on Robinhood to $108 from $105 while maintaining a Buy rating on the stock.
The upgrade followed the company's May operating update, which showed stronger-than-expected activity across multiple segments.
According to Goldman Sachs, Robinhood recorded a monthly high of 3.9 billion prediction-market contracts in May, representing a 22% increase from April and significantly ahead of the firm's forecast for 6% growth.
Traditional brokerage activity also remained robust.
Equity trading volume increased 27% from the previous month, while options activity rose 3%, with both categories reaching their second-highest monthly levels on record.
The strong metrics suggest retail investor engagement remains elevated despite market volatility and concerns over interest rates.
Adding to the positive sentiment, Chief Executive Vlad Tenev announced on Tuesday that Robinhood Securities had received approval to operate as an underwriter, potentially opening a new revenue stream for the company.
The underwriting approval arrives as Wall Street prepares for one of the busiest periods for new listings in recent years.
High-profile companies, including SpaceX, are expected to go public shortly, while artificial intelligence leaders OpenAI and Anthropic are also moving toward public listings.
Robinhood has already benefited from a growing trend among companies allocating IPO shares directly to retail investors.
The brokerage is one of a handful of firms offering access to SpaceX shares for eligible customers.
The ability to participate more directly in future IPOs could further strengthen Robinhood's appeal among retail investors and broaden its role in capital markets.
While stock trading remains central to Robinhood's business, analysts increasingly view prediction markets as the company's next major growth opportunity.
Cantor Fitzgerald reiterated its Overweight rating on Robinhood and raised its price target to $110 from $100, citing the company's Rothera joint venture with trading giant Susquehanna International Group.
The venture operates a prediction-market exchange that allows users to trade contracts tied to the outcomes of real-world events.
Previously, Robinhood relied on third-party platforms such as Kalshi and ForecastEx.
With Rothera, the company is beginning to route event contracts through infrastructure it partially owns, enabling it to capture a larger share of the economics.
Cantor estimates that Robinhood's ownership stake in Rothera will help the company retain exchange-level revenues that previously flowed to external partners.
As a result, the brokerage raised its revenue forecasts for fiscal years 2026 through 2028 by approximately 3%, 6%, and 7% on a reported basis.
Because Robinhood owns 45% of Rothera, a portion of the venture's profits will accrue to partner Susquehanna and be accounted for as a non-controlling interest.
After adjusting for that, Cantor estimates the venture could boost Robinhood's revenue by roughly 2% in 2026, 3% in 2027, and 4% in 2028, while increasing earnings per share by around 2%, 3%, and 3%, respectively.
Cantor Fitzgerald raised its price target on Robinhood to $110, valuing the company at 27 times its projected 2027 adjusted EBITDA of $3.42 billion. The valuation also incorporates a discounted cash flow analysis.
Robinhood's management has repeatedly highlighted prediction markets as a key strategic priority.
During the company's first-quarter earnings call, Tenev described the segment as the fastest-growing business in Robinhood's history and suggested it could eventually support trillions of contracts annually.
Shares of Robinhood (HOOD +1.04%) are rising as the company reports solid operating metrics that should driver revenue growth. But there's more reason to be bullish than just the metrics.
An insider made a $35 million purchase of Robinhood stock, and insiders can be a good indicator of what's to come for a company. On top of that, Robinhood is moving into more investment banking markets through IPOs, which could drive another leg of revenue growth long-term. I dig into all of that in this video.

Robinhood Markets (HOOD +1.04%), a commission-free trading platform for stocks and crypto, closed Wednesday at $86.36, up 3.09%. The stock moved higher after CEO Vlad Tenev said it had regulatory approval to underwrite IPOs.
Trading volume reached 41.3 million shares, coming in about 41% above its three-month average of 29.2 million shares. Robinhood Markets IPO'd in 2021 and has grown 127% since going public.
How the markets moved todayThe S&P 500 (^GSPC +0.50%) fell 1.62% to 7,267 on Wednesday, while the Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC +0.31%) lost 1.98% to finish at 25,170. Within capital markets, industry peers Charles Schwab closed at $89.27, up 0.56%, and Interactive Brokers Group ended at $85.42, down 1.05%, underscoring mixed brokerage sentiment.
What this means for investorsRobinhood went against the tide today, surging even as major indexes fell. Today’s gains mean the pioneering brokerage has gained 12% in the past month. The firm announced it received regulatory approval to underwrite IPOs, which will help it broaden its offerings and play a larger role in the IPO market.
The IPO market is red-hot right now and the timing is notable: Tenev’s news comes just days before the widely-anticipated SpaceX IPO. Today’s news builds on last month’s AI trading tool announcement, which in turn builds on its push into prediction markets.
In short, Robinhood continues to innovate, and the strategy appears to be paying off. Its customer base and platform assets are increasing, which will be crucial drivers for revenue growth. However, regulatory shifts remain the biggest risk for this disruptive firm.

It's been a tough year for Robinhood Markets (HOOD +1.04%) stock, with shares down about 25% year to date. However, one insider has seen an opportunity in the weakness. Director Micky Malka bought a boatload of shares through his Ribbit Capital fund.
Malka's fund focuses on fintech investments, and Robinhood is the fund's third-largest investment behind Nu Holdings and Figure Technology. He also sits on MercadoLibre's board. In late May and early June, he bought 23.6 million shares, worth around $35 million, through the online broker. Notably, the buys were a reversal of sentiment, as he was selling shares as recently as August 2025, when he sold shares at prices over $100.

Robinhood's tough year can be directly tied to its cryptocurrency platform, which has seen revenue plunge amid weakness in the crypto market. Bitcoin is down around 30% in 2026 and off more than 40% over the past year, while Ethereum has fallen around 45% this year. Given these price declines and the big gains in artificial intelligence (AI) stocks, people have not been trading cryptocurrencies as they did in the past.
While crypto transactions have flowed into equities, Robinhood makes a much larger per-trade profit from crypto trading than from stock trading, given the wider buy-and-sell spread in crypto. This dynamic was evident in Q1, when its crypto revenue plunged 47% year over year to $134 million, while its equity revenue surged 46% to $82 million. Despite its volatility, Robinhood is looking to drive crypto revenue by expanding into new countries, including Canada.

The company also has a couple of other catalysts. It is seeing strong momentum in the predictions market, where revenue has been skyrocketing. It just lowered its fee structure ahead of the FIFA World Cup, which is looking to be a big growth driver. Last quarter, its other revenue, where its prediction solution is currently classified, jumped 320% to $147 million.
The company is also investing heavily in so-called "Trump Accounts," where eligible children born between 2025 and 2028 can receive an initial $1,000 government contribution. Up to $5,000 can then be collectively contributed to the account each year, and contributions are automatically invested in low-cost index funds. Robinhood launched an app specifically for the accounts in late May.
The stock currently trades at a forward P/E of 30 times 2027 analyst estimates. I think that is a reasonable valuation where investors can consider taking a small position in the stock.

Webull stock price jumped by over 10% on Wednesday as investors bought the dip and as the options market pointed to more bullish positioning. BULL jumped to $6.12, up by 15% from its lowest point this week.
Webull, a top Robinhood-like company, jumped on Wednesday as investors bought the dip. This rally coincided with the gains across the industry, with Robinhood jumping by over 10% and Interactive Broker rising by 5%.
The rally also happened amid bullish positioning in the options market. Data shows that the put volume stands at 10,240, while its open interest is at 6.455. Call volume, on the other hand, stands at 40,000, while its open interest is 31,235. This means that the put/call open interest stands at 0.21.
Webull has some solid fundamentals even as its stock has slumped by over 92% from its highest point in April last year. The most recent results showed that its revenue jumped by 36% to $159.9 million. This growth, however, was offset by a 65% increase in operating expenses, which pushed its net loss to over $21 million.
The company has continued to add more users in the past few months. It added 27.6 million in the first quarter of this year, up from 24.1 million in the same period last year. Its funded accounts have jumped to 5.11 million.
The company is seeing strong growth across various areas, including the options business. Its equity notional volume jumped to $261 billion from $128 billion in the same period last year.
Analysts are optimistic that the company will continue doing well in the coming years. The average estimate among analysts is that its revenue will jump by 25% this year to $714 million, followed by 25% increase to $894 million.
This growth will be driven by the US division, which will benefit from the decision by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to end the pattern day trader (PDT) rule. This action will likely lead to more activity by small-scale traders.
The company has also continued to acquire international licenses in key areas like Hong Kong, Canada, and the European Union.

The daily chart shows that the BULL stock price has been under pressure in the past few months as its losses have jumped. It bottomed at $4.52 in April and then rebounded to a high of $7.53 on April 21. These gains were limited and the stock retreated to a low of $5.40.
Webull stock formed a descending channel, which resembles a falling wedge pattern, a common bullish reversal sign in technical analysis. It is attempting to cross the 50-day.
If this happens, the next key target to watch will be at $7.53, the highest point in April this year. On the other hand, a move below the key support level at $5.36 will invalidate the bullish outlook.
Key Takeaways Robinhood's brokerage won approval to act as an IPO underwriter, moving beyond a selling-group role.As underwriter, HOOD could shape retail IPO allocations, strengthen issuers ties and add higher-fee revenues.HOOD cites 27.7M funded customers and $377B assets; IPO momentum may help, but underwriting adds risk. Robinhood Markets’ (HOOD - Free Report) move to become an IPO underwriter is notable in its evolution from a trading app into a broader financial super app. CEO Vlad Tenev said Robinhood Securities has been approved to serve as an underwriter, allowing the company to move beyond its existing selling-group role and take a more direct position in helping companies go public.
The development builds on IPO Access, launched in 2021 to let retail investors request shares at the IPO price. Until now, Robinhood’s role depended largely on allocations from traditional Wall Street banks. As an underwriter, the company could strengthen relationships with issuers, play a bigger role in shaping retail allocations and pursue higher-fee capital-markets revenue opportunities.
For HOOD, the approval also fits a larger product-expansion story. The company has been adding crypto, retirement, advisory, digital banking, private-market access, prediction markets and AI-powered tools, all aimed at keeping customers inside one financial ecosystem. As of May 30, 2026, it had 27.7 million funded customers and $377 billion in platform assets. A stronger IPO franchise could create another engagement channel, drawing users to new listings while encouraging account funding, trading activity, Gold subscriptions and cross-use of other products.
The timing appears favorable as the IPO market shows signs of revival, particularly among technology and high-profile private companies. However, execution will be key. Underwriting brings regulatory, reputational and competitive risks, especially in a market long dominated by major investment banks.
Still, the approval advances Robinhood’s super-app ambitions by moving it closer to the center of investing, capital formation and everyday financial decision-making, while broadening its revenue base beyond transaction-driven trading activity.
How are Robinhood’s Peers Diversifying Their Businesses? Two close peers of HOOD are Charles Schwab (SCHW - Free Report) and Interactive Brokers Group (IBKR - Free Report) .
Schwab is diversifying beyond brokerage into wealth management, advisory, banking, lending, retirement and asset management. Schwab’s fee-based assets, net interest income and broader financial services reduce commission dependence, support steadier revenues and deepen client relationships.
Interactive Brokers is diversifying through global market access, high-yield cash balances, securities lending, institutional services, retirement accounts and advisor solutions. Interactive Brokers’ interest income, international reach and technology platform reduce trading-commission reliance while supporting scalable growth.
HOOD’s Price Performance, Valuation & Estimate AnalysisSo far this year, Robinhood shares have plunged 23.7% against the industry’s rally of 1.7%.

HOOD shares are currently trading at a premium to the industry. The company has a 12-month trailing price-to-tangible book (P/TB) of 8.70X compared with the industry average of 3.24X.

The firm is giving Wall Street several reasons to stay bullish. The stock recently climbed more than 2% in overnight trading and has gained as much as 8% in recent sessions.
Robinhood Wants a Bigger Role in IPOsOne of the biggest reasons behind the recent excitement is Robinhood’s move into IPO underwriting.
CEO Vlad Tenev recently announced that Robinhood Securities has been approved to serve as an underwriter for initial public offerings. This means Robinhood can now play a larger role in helping private companies go public instead of simply offering IPO shares to its customers.
Robinhood launched IPO Access in 2021 to give everyday investors the chance to buy shares at the IPO price. This is something that was usually reserved for large institutions and wealthy investors. According to Tenev, retail investors have become much more important in the IPO process over the last few years.
He said companies are now asking how many shares should be allocated to retail investors rather than whether they should be included at all.
The move comes at a time when several highly anticipated companies are preparing to enter public markets. SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic are among the names expected to drive a new wave of IPO activity. This creates a major opportunity for Robinhood.
With more than 27.7 million funded customers, Robinhood is positioning itself to become an important player in bringing these deals to everyday investors.
Strong Growth Continues Across the PlatformRobinhood’s latest business update showed that the company continues to grow at an impressive pace.
The company reported that total platform assets reached a record $377 billion at the end of May. This represents a 48% increase from the same period last year and a 9% increase from April. Funded customer accounts climbed to 27.7 million, while net deposits reached $5.6 billion during the month.
Customer activity remained strong as well. Equity trading volume climbed 75% year-over-year to $315 billion, while average daily trading volume rose 84% from the same period last year.
Options trading also grew, with 231 million contracts traded during May, up 29% from a year earlier. Event contracts reached 3.9 billion during May, up 22% from the previous month. Margin balances reached a record $19.5 billion, more than double the level seen a year ago.
The company now has 27.7 million funded customer accounts, showing that Robinhood continues to attract users despite increased competition in the brokerage industry.
Robinhood’s financial performance has also improved. Over the past year, the company generated $4.47 billion in revenue. Revenue growth has exceeded 45% over the last three years. Also, quarterly net income recently came in at around $350 million and generated around $2.02 billion in free cash flow.
Although crypto trading activity slowed during May, investors were encouraged by the strength of Robinhood’s core brokerage business.
Insider Buying and Analyst Upgrades Boost ConfidenceAnother major catalyst came from inside the company. A recent filing showed that Robinhood director and Ribbit Capital founder Meyer Malka bought 250,000 shares of HOOD stock worth about $20.2 million. The shares were acquired at prices between roughly $80 and $81 per share.
The purchase increased Malka’s holdings by nearly 7%, bringing his total stake to about 7.9 million shares valued at more than $660 million. This marks the third notable insider purchase by Malka in recent months, a move many investors view as a sign of confidence in Robinhood’s long-term outlook.
The purchase is especially noteworthy because Ribbit Capital has backed some of the biggest names in fintech, including Coinbase, Nubank, Revolut, Affirm, and Robinhood itself.
Wall Street analysts are also becoming more bullish.
Goldman Sachs recently raised its price target on Robinhood to $108 and maintained a Buy rating. Truist Securities kept its Buy rating and $100 price target after reviewing the company’s May results and the potential for future revenue gains from large IPOs.
Other firms, including Cantor Fitzgerald and Mizuho, have also increased their targets. Cantor Fitzgerald has raised its target to $110, while Mizuho increased its target to $115 following positive feedback surrounding Robinhood’s AI-powered trading initiatives.
The average analyst target sits around $100, suggesting further upside from current levels.
Is HOOD Stock Still a Buy?Robinhood is no longer just a trading app. The company is expanding into new areas, including IPO underwriting, private-market investing, AI-powered financial tools, and wealth-building products.
It has also removed Pattern Day Trader restrictions, eliminating the long-standing $25,000 minimum requirement for active traders and potentially attracting more users to the platform.
Its latest growth numbers show that customer activity remains strong, while the company’s move into underwriting could open up new revenue opportunities during what could become a busy IPO cycle.
The stock is still down significantly from its 52-week high of $152 and remains volatile, but many investors believe Robinhood is building a stronger and more diversified business.
Considering the growing customer engagement, insider confidence, and support from Wall Street, there are enough reasons for holding HOOD shares.

Robinhood (HOOD +1.04%) had no shortage of news this week. The online brokerage reported strong May operating data, and a securities filing revealed a large insider stock purchase. But the announcement with arguably the biggest long-term implications came from CEO Vlad Tenev, who said Tuesday in a post on X that Robinhood Securities is now approved to serve as an underwriter of initial public offerings (IPOs).
"We intend to be disruptive in this space," Tenev wrote.
The news is timely. SpaceX is expected to begin trading on the Nasdaq on Friday in what could be the largest IPO in history, and a long list of big private companies may follow it to the public markets in the coming years. Here's a closer look at the new business line -- and why its timing could prove important.
From distributing IPO shares to originating them Until this week, Robinhood's role in public offerings was distribution. The company's IPO Access product, launched in 2021, lets customers buy shares of select offerings at the IPO price before they start trading. But the shares available through IPO Access are allocated by the investment banks running the deal; Robinhood has participated as what's known as a selling group member.
Underwriting is a different business. Underwriters work directly with the company going public, helping set the offering's price and place its shares with investors. And the issuer pays fees for that work.
It turns out that Robinhood is well-positioned to underwrite, given its significant scale.
The company ended May with 27.7 million funded customers -- up about 1.76 million from a year earlier. A pool of retail demand of that size may be hard for a company going public to ignore.
"Since IPO Access launched in 2021, we've watched retail go from an afterthought to a key part of how companies plan an IPO," Tenev said in the same post.
He may have a point. SpaceX is set to debut at a fixed offering price of $135 per share, in a deal that could raise about $75 billion and reportedly values the rocket and satellite internet company at around $1.75 trillion. And the company has reportedly weighed allocating as much as 30% of the offering to retail investors -- well above what's typical for a large IPO. Though reports began circling on Thursday afternoon that the company cut its retail IPO allocation to a low 20% range -- still a notable allocation, however.

Momentum is strong -- and so is the valuation But the new approval isn't the only reason investors have been paying attention to the stock recently. Robinhood's total platform assets ended May at $377 billion, up 48% year over year, and net deposits during the month were $5.6 billion. Equity trading volumes of $315 billion rose 75% year over year.
In addition, a securities filing this week showed director Meyer Malka bought about $20.2 million of Robinhood stock on June 5 through an investment fund he's associated with.
Of course, not everything has gone the company's way this year. Robinhood's cryptocurrency revenue was a key weak spot, dropping 47% year over year in the first quarter of 2026. Total revenue still rose 15% during the quarter, but earnings per share grew just 3%.
And despite shares sitting about 40% below their October high, even after rising this week, the stock still trades at about 44 times earnings as of this writing. For a company growing earnings at the pace Robinhood posted last quarter, that's a premium price.
So, what does the underwriting approval mean for the company and the stock against this backdrop?
I think it's the development with meaningful long-term earnings significance -- and one that will help reduce some of the company's dependence on trading activity. After all, underwriting fees are paid by issuers deal by deal, so the revenue wouldn't hinge on how actively customers happen to be trading in a given month -- a welcome trait for a business still exposed to crypto's swings. And with companies like SpaceX testing just how big retail allocations can get, Robinhood may be entering the business at an opportune moment.
Still, the company hasn't underwritten a deal yet, and the established investment banks that dominate underwriting today won't step aside easily. Investors with a long time horizon may be comfortable paying up for that potential. For everyone else, watching how Robinhood's first underwriting assignments play out may be the more prudent move.
Cathie Wood wasn't in a mood to shop on Thursday. The founder CEO of Ark Invest did nothing but sell securities. She reduced her stake across more than 20 stocks within Ark's five aggressive growth exchange-traded funds (ETFs). She didn't buy a single thing.
Is she raising money because she's expecting the market to get cheaper in the coming weeks? The more likely rationale is that she's raising money to make sure she can participate in the big initial public offerings (IPOs) that are hitting the market in the next few weeks.
She sold shares in Archer Aviation (ACHR 4.15%), Robinhood Markets (HOOD +1.04%), and Roku (ROKU +20.52%) on Thursday. Let's take a closer look at all three calls to reduce her positions across the three stocks.
1. Archer Aviation The next-gen flying machines that Archer Aviation is championing are designed to take off for short-haul flights in tight spaces. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about Archer Aviation stock. The emerging market for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft has been turbulent lately. The shares have lost more than half of their value over the past year.
Archer is generating negligible revenue and posting substantial losses, but that's not a surprise at this stage in the development process. Archer Aviation is progressing through the rigorous Federal Aviation Administration certification process to bring its Midnight aircraft into the air.

Archer is hopeful that it will be able to launch its premium air taxi service later this year. The clock is ticking. Archer struck a deal to be the official air taxi provider for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, and it even bought a small regional airport in the area to improve its chances of a smooth run.
Analysts see revenue rising sharply in the years ahead. It's going to be a dramatic top-line ramp-up, according to the latest Wall Street analyst projections.
2026: $9 million 2027: $94 million 2028: $482 million 2029: $1.43 billion Those forecasts are impressive, but they used to be even more wow-worthy. The market's been paring expectations back over the past few months.
Wood's Ark Invest has been buying the stock on the way down. Why sell now? The stock is cheap. It also has a cash-rich balance sheet to see it through the development phase. Archer's market cap of $4 billion becomes an enterprise value of $2.4 billion when you factor in its strong net cash position. Analysts still believe. The stock would have to double from today's level to hit the average Wall Street price target.

2. Robinhood Markets Robinhood's online trading platform continues to grow in popularity. The 27.7 million funded accounts it was servicing at the end of May were 7% higher than a year ago. On a more encouraging front, the platform's total assets have soared 48% over the past year to $377 billion.
Robinhood is ramping up its offerings. It's still a popular hub for trading stocks, options, and crypto. It's broadening its appeal by dipping its toes into futures and prediction markets. Robinhood is also ready to make a bigger splash in the IPO market.
You've been able to secure shares of select new offerings for years, but this week Robinhood announced that it has been approved to serve as an underwriter. The timing couldn't be better, just as the new offering pipeline is about to get the first of three IPOs that could top $1 trillion in market caps. There's also been some insider buying lately, making this another odd choice for Wood's hit list.

3. Roku Finally, we have Roku, another stock that I think Wood might regret paring back on Thursday. Roku posted blowout results this earnings season. The 22% year-over-year increase in revenue was its biggest jump in four years, and well ahead of the 18% it had guided for earlier this year.
Roku's profit also exceeded its earlier outlook. After piecing together four consecutive quarters of positive net income, this is no longer a turnaround story. Investors should be asking how high it can go. The "beat and raise" performance paints a brightening portrait for the pioneer of smart TV operating systems. Concerns about monetization are no longer there, as ad revenue rose 27% to roughly half of its business. Its ad and subscription revenue outpaced the 8% increase in streaming hours.
Scalability is here. Roku's trailing free cash flow has catapulted 81%. With an audience now topping 100 million homes, Roku has never been better. The stock is trading at a quarter of its 2021 peak. This isn't the kind of stock you sell in this environment.
Robinhood said it has seen “record-breaking” traffic on its trading platform Friday in the hours after SpaceX’s historic public markets debut.
The company shared in a post on X that “some customers experienced latency and intermittent issues” with trading but that the platform quickly recovered.
SpaceX’s shares started trading on the Nasdaq stock exchange at around 11:47 a.m. ET. Those shares immediately started trading up around 11%, pushing the company’s valuation past $2 trillion — and making Elon Musk the world’s first trillionaire. In just one hour, around 263 million shares have traded, according to Nasdaq, representing around $42 billion worth of SpaceX stock changing hands.
SpaceX only made about 4% of its shares available for trading in the IPO, putting it in a position for wild swings in its stock price as it begins life as a public company.
UiPath (PATH - Free Report) has been one of the most searched-for stocks on Zacks.com lately. So, you might want to look at some of the facts that could shape the stock's performance in the near term.
Over the past month, shares of this enterprise automation software developer have returned +9.8%, compared to the Zacks S&P 500 composite's +6.3% change. During this period, the Zacks Internet - Software industry, which UiPath falls in, has gained 4.8%. The key question now is: What could be the stock's future direction?
Although media reports or rumors about a significant change in a company's business prospects usually cause its stock to trend and lead to an immediate price change, there are always certain fundamental factors that ultimately drive the buy-and-hold decision.
Earnings Estimate RevisionsHere at Zacks, we prioritize appraising the change in the projection of a company's future earnings over anything else. That's because we believe the present value of its future stream of earnings is what determines the fair value for its stock.
We essentially look at how sell-side analysts covering the stock are revising their earnings estimates to reflect the impact of the latest business trends. And if earnings estimates go up for a company, the fair value for its stock goes up. A higher fair value than the current market price drives investors' interest in buying the stock, leading to its price moving higher. This is why empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements.
UiPath is expected to post earnings of $0.14 per share for the current quarter, representing a year-over-year change of -6.7%. Over the last 30 days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate has changed +13.6%.
The consensus earnings estimate of $0.78 for the current fiscal year indicates a year-over-year change of +8.3%. This estimate has changed -1.6% over the last 30 days.
For the next fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $0.87 indicates a change of +12.3% from what UiPath is expected to report a year ago. Over the past month, the estimate has changed +0.4%.
With an impressive externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool -- the Zacks Rank -- is a more conclusive indicator of a stock's near-term price performance, as it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions. The size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, has resulted in a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) for UiPath.
The chart below shows the evolution of the company's forward 12-month consensus EPS estimate:
12 Month EPS
Projected Revenue GrowthWhile earnings growth is arguably the most superior indicator of a company's financial health, nothing happens as such if a business isn't able to grow its revenues. After all, it's nearly impossible for a company to increase its earnings for an extended period without increasing its revenues. So, it's important to know a company's potential revenue growth.
In the case of UiPath, the consensus sales estimate of $397.5 million for the current quarter points to a year-over-year change of +9.9%. The $1.76 billion and $1.9 billion estimates for the current and next fiscal years indicate changes of +9% and +8.3%, respectively.
Last Reported Results and Surprise HistoryUiPath reported revenues of $418.38 million in the last reported quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +17.3%. EPS of $0.15 for the same period compares with $0.11 a year ago.
Compared to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $397.43 million, the reported revenues represent a surprise of +5.27%. The EPS surprise was 0%.
Over the last four quarters, UiPath surpassed consensus EPS estimates three times. The company topped consensus revenue estimates each time over this period.
ValuationWithout considering a stock's valuation, no investment decision can be efficient. In predicting a stock's future price performance, it's crucial to determine whether its current price correctly reflects the intrinsic value of the underlying business and the company's growth prospects.
Comparing the current value of a company's valuation multiples, such as its price-to-earnings (P/E), price-to-sales (P/S), and price-to-cash flow (P/CF), to its own historical values helps ascertain whether its stock is fairly valued, overvalued, or undervalued, whereas comparing the company relative to its peers on these parameters gives a good sense of how reasonable its stock price is.
As part of the Zacks Style Scores system, the Zacks Value Style Score (which evaluates both traditional and unconventional valuation metrics) organizes stocks into five groups ranging from A to F (A is better than B; B is better than C; and so on), making it helpful in identifying whether a stock is overvalued, rightly valued, or temporarily undervalued.
UiPath is graded D on this front, indicating that it is trading at a premium to its peers. Click here to see the values of some of the valuation metrics that have driven this grade.
Bottom LineThe facts discussed here and much other information on Zacks.com might help determine whether or not it's worthwhile paying attention to the market buzz about UiPath. However, its Zacks Rank #3 does suggest that it may perform in line with the broader market in the near term.

UiPath’s Automation Cloud UAE Region Certified Under the DESC Cloud Service Provider Security Standard, Enabling Secure Agentic Automation Across Dubai’s Public and Private Sectors
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates--(BUSINESS WIRE)--UiPath (NYSE: PATH), a leader in business orchestration and automation, today announced it has achieved certification under the Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC) Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Security Standard for its Automation Cloud Commercial UAE region. This milestone certifies the UiPath suite of automation and AI services against the highest cybersecurity standards mandated by the Emirate of Dubai, opening the full scope of UAE government and semi-government entities as eligible customers and reinforcing the commitment of UiPath to building trust-first, enterprise-grade automation infrastructure across the region.
The DESC, operating under the Digital Dubai Authority, serves as the primary regulatory authority for cybersecurity and digital infrastructure protection in Dubai. Its CSP Security Standard is grounded in international frameworks including ISO 27001, with additional controls designed specifically for the UAE’s regulatory and data sovereignty requirements. Under Dubai law, government and semi-government organizations are prohibited from engaging cloud service providers that have not achieved DESC certification, making this designation not just a competitive differentiator, but a mandatory prerequisite for any cloud provider seeking to serve the public sector.
With this certification in place, UiPath becomes an eligible automation platform for Tier 1 enterprises and government entities across the UAE, enabling them to deploy agentic automation at scale with the confidence that their data handling, identity management, encryption, and business continuity protocols meet the most stringent local standards. For organizations that have previously been unable to deploy UiPath’s cloud services due to regulatory constraints, this certification removes that barrier entirely. The DESC certification covers the full breadth of automation and AI capabilities in the UiPath platform. This comprehensive scope ensures that UAE government and enterprise customers can leverage the end-to-end agentic automation capabilities of the UiPath platform—from intelligent document processing and AI-powered decision-making to orchestration, testing, and citizen development—all within a fully certified, compliant cloud environment.
“Security and trust are the foundation upon which every enterprise automation program must be built,” said Scott Roberts, Chief Information Security Officer, UiPath. “Nowhere is that truer than in regulated markets like the UAE, where the stakes for data sovereignty and compliance are exceptionally high. Achieving DESC certification is a direct reflection of the rigorous security standards to which we hold ourselves at UiPath. It sends a clear message to our customers across Dubai and the broader UAE that your data is protected, your compliance obligations are met, and your organization can move forward with confidence. We are proud to be a certified partner in Dubai’s vision for a secure, AI-powered digital future.”

For new and old investors, taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals. Zacks Premium provides lots of different ways to do both.
Featuring daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, full access to the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens, the research service can help you become a smarter, more self-assured investor.
Zacks Premium includes access to the Zacks Style Scores as well.
What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores is a unique set of guidelines that rates stocks based on three popular investing types, and were developed as complementary indicators for the Zacks Rank. This combination helps investors choose securities with the highest chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.
Based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics, each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F. The better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform; an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on.
The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:
Value ScoreFor value investors, it's all about finding good stocks at good prices, and discovering which companies are trading under their true value before the broader market catches on. The Value Style Score utilizes ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and a host of other multiples to help pick out the most attractive and discounted stocks.
Growth ScoreGrowth investors, on the other hand, are more concerned with a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score examines things like projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks that will experience sustainable growth over time.
Momentum ScoreMomentum traders and investors live by the saying "the trend is your friend." This investing style is all about taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Employing factors like one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, the Momentum Style Score can indicate favorable times to build a position in high-momentum stocks.
VGM ScoreIf you want a combination of all three Style Scores, then the VGM Score will be your friend. It rates each stock on their combined weighted styles, helping you find the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum. It's also one of the best indicators to use with the Zacks Rank.
How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank A proprietary stock-rating model, the Zacks Rank utilizes the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings outlook, to help investors create a successful portfolio.
Investors can count on the Zacks Rank's success, with #1 (Strong Buy) stocks producing an unmatched +23.7% average annual return since 1988, more than double the S&P 500's performance. But the model rates a large number of stocks, and there are over 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, plus another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.
This totals more than 800 top-rated stocks, and it can be overwhelming to try and pick the best stocks for you and your portfolio.
That's where the Style Scores come in.
To maximize your returns, you want to buy stocks with the highest probability of success. This means picking stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B. If you find yourself looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, make sure they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.
The direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should always be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy, since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank.
For instance, a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one that boasts Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings forecast, and a much greater likelihood its share price will decline as well.
Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.
Stock to Watch: UiPath (PATH - Free Report) UiPath, Inc. provides an end-to-end enterprise automation platform that combines robotic process automation with AI to help organizations discover, build, and operate software automations at scale. The UiPath Platform enables users to automate tasks across user interfaces, APIs, and documents, and to orchestrate digital workers that collaborate with people. Core capabilities include AI-powered document understanding, low-code design tools, process mining to identify automation opportunities, automated testing, analytics, and centralized governance. The company was first established in Bucharest, Romania in 2005 and incorporated in Delaware in 2015. Its principal executive offices are at One Vanderbilt Avenue, New York, NY.
PATH is a #3 (Hold) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of B.
Additionally, the company could be a top pick for growth investors. PATH has a Growth Style Score of B, forecasting year-over-year earnings growth of 8.3% for the current fiscal year.
For fiscal 2027, one analyst revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days, and the Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.00 to $0.78 per share. PATH boasts an average earnings surprise of +30.5%.
With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Growth and VGM Style Scores, PATH should be on investors' short list.
UiPath's (PATH 0.94%) stock remains beaten down, trading more than 25% below its level at the start of the year. While the company has shown some signs of life, it has been caught in the software-as-a-service (SaaS) sell-off. UiPath is a company that specializes in automation using software bots and orchestration software for agentic AI.
The company recently reported solid fiscal first-quarter results, but the question is whether this can help the company get out of its doldrums. Let's take a closer look.

Momentum continues to build UiPath saw some solid, albeit still muted, momentum in its first quarter. AI agentic orchestration remains a top priority, and AI products were included in 16 of its 20 largest deals in the quarter. Meanwhile, AI deals were six times larger, on average, than non-AI deals.
The company continues to do well within its existing customer base, with the company reporting a 109% dollar-based net retention rate over the past 12 months. That was an uptick from the 107% it reported in Q4. Any number over 100% indicates that existing customers are growing after a period of churn. New annual recurring revenue (ARR), meanwhile, came in at $49 million.
Overall revenue for the quarter climbed by 17% to $418.4 million, well above its guidance for revenue of $395 million to $400 million. Its ARR rose by 12% year over year to $1.9 billion. Adjusted earnings per share (EPS) jumped by 36% to $0.15.
Looking ahead, UiPath guided for second-quarter revenue in the range of $395 million to $400 million, representing 9% to 11% growth. It guided for ARR between $1.929 billion and $1.934 billion.
For the full year, it upped its revenue forecast to be between $1.776 billion and $1.781 billion and its ARR forecast to be between $2.058 billion and $2.063 billion. That's up from a prior outlook of revenue of $1.754 billion to $1.759 billion, with ARR of between $2.051 billion and $2.056 billion.
While UiPath turned in a solid quarter, it issued conservative Q2 guidance, in part due to some currency headwinds. While the stock is cheap, trading at a forward price-to-sales ratio of 3.5 and a forward P/E of around 14.5, the company needs to see more meaningful ARR growth acceleration for the stock to really work from here.
Agentic AI is still in the very early stages of taking off, and, based on commentary from the AI infrastructure names, this is a real, emerging trend. UiPath's Maestro platform has a big opportunity to be an important AI orchestration tool, and it's already integrated with major platforms such as Alphabet's Google Cloud, Microsoft, and Salesforce. Meanwhile, it's also enabled its platform to handle coding agents, helping provide governance orchestration.
This is a big potential growth driver, but UiPath is not the only player chasing this opportunity, and there is no guarantee it will get its fair share of this emerging market. The stock is speculative, but its low valuation makes it an interesting investment.

AI-powered orchestration enables one of ANZ’s leading telcos to dramatically reduce complexity and accelerate service delivery for enterprise customers
AUCKLAND, New Zealand--(BUSINESS WIRE)--UiPath (NYSE: PATH), a global leader in business orchestration and automation, today announced that One NZ has set a new benchmark for enterprise service delivery across ANZ using UiPath Maestro™— a cloud-native orchestration platform unifying automation, AI agents, and human interaction into streamlined, end-to-end business processes—to cut mobile provisioning times from ten days to under ten minutes.
"As AI adoption grows, the leading companies won't be those with the newest tech stacks—they'll be the organizations that move fastest with the technology they already have," said Ashley Boag, Chief Operating Officer, International Region, UiPath.
Share Implemented in just five weeks, the deployment proves that AI orchestration can transform legacy-heavy operations at scale without a costly infrastructure overhaul and signals a new standard for how telcos can deliver for enterprise customers.
One NZ set out to transform one of their most complex back-office workflows: enterprise mobile provisioning, built across multiple disconnected systems. Enterprise mobile provisioning spanned Salesforce, Oracle, and internal platforms, with fragmented handoffs and dependence on offshore intervention stretching order cycles to four or five days. Manual processes introduced delays, limiting visibility across the customer order journey, and creating compounding operational complexity that demanded a fundamentally different approach.
Rather than replacing an existing infrastructure for this workflow, One NZ selected UiPath Maestro to create a modern orchestration layer connecting those disconnected systems. AI agents now coordinate tasks across systems while software robots execute processes within applications, enabling near real-time provisioning for enterprise customers and significantly reducing operational complexity. The solution also delivers real-time visibility and control across legacy environments, enabling faster issue resolution, sharper frontline training, and a process that scales with significantly less operational effort.
“One NZ is pursuing an ambitious goal to become the most AI-enabled telco on the planet by using AI and automation to improve customer experiences, increase operational agility, and empower employees,” said Summer Collins, Chief AI and Business Services Director, One NZ.
“AI creates a connected intelligence layer across our business, enabling us to automate across our technology landscape and continuously improve how we serve our customers while maintaining the security, resilience, and scale our organization depends on. Our approach is AI-first, but human where it matters most. By embedding AI into the way we work, we can transform our organisation, increase efficiency, and unlock new opportunities, while giving our people more time to focus on the human moments that create the greatest value for our customers and communities,” Collins added.
“One NZ clearly demonstrates how complex enterprises are built on a combination of modern and legacy technology. UiPath Maestro is the orchestration layer that brings it all together, accelerating transformation without the complexity and pain of ripping out what is working for them or forcibly modernizing what is already there. One NZ’s focus on transformation reflects a broader shift across the telecommunications sector and other sectors. As AI adoption grows, the leading companies won't be those with the newest tech stacks—they'll be the organizations that move fastest with the technology they already have. One NZ is demonstrating what that looks like in practice, orchestrating end-to-end processes to deliver AI-driven outcomes at enterprise scale while keeping people at the center,” said Ashley Boag, Chief Operating Officer, International Region, UiPath.
Building on this deployment, One NZ is extending UiPath Maestro into additional business-critical areas — including finance, risk, fraud, and complex IT programs, as well as broader customer and operational workflows.
The momentum reflects a wider shift taking hold across the telecommunications sector: providers are moving beyond automating individual tasks to orchestrating entire business processes end-to-end, and UiPath Maestro is emerging as the platform layer that makes that transformation both practical and repeatable.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? Developed alongside the Zacks Rank, the Zacks Style Scores are a group of complementary indicators that help investors pick stocks with the best chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.
Each stock is given an alphabetic rating of A, B, C, D or F based on their value, growth, and momentum qualities. With this system, an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on, meaning the better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform.
The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:
Value ScoreValue investors love finding good stocks at good prices, especially before the broader market catches on to a stock's true value. Utilizing ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and many other multiples, the Value Style Score identifies the most attractive and most discounted stocks.
Growth ScoreGrowth investors are more concerned with a stock's future prospects, and the overall financial health and strength of a company. Thus, the Growth Style Score analyzes characteristics like projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks that will see sustainable growth over time.
Momentum ScoreMomentum investors, who live by the saying "the trend is your friend," are most interested in taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Utilizing one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, among other factors, the Momentum Style Score can help determine favorable times to buy high-momentum stocks.
VGM ScoreWhat if you like to use all three types of investing? The VGM Score is a combination of all Style Scores, making it one of the most comprehensive indicators to use with the Zacks Rank. It rates each stock on their combined weighted styles, which helps narrow down the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum.
How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank A proprietary stock-rating model, the Zacks Rank utilizes the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings outlook, to help investors create a successful portfolio.
It's highly successful, with #1 (Strong Buy) stocks producing an unmatched +23.7% average annual return since 1988. That's more than double the S&P 500. But because of the large number of stocks we rate, there are over 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, plus another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.
This totals more than 800 top-rated stocks, and it can be overwhelming to try and pick the best stocks for you and your portfolio.
That's where the Style Scores come in.
To have the best chance of big returns, you'll want to always consider stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B, which will give you the highest probability of success. If you're looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, it's important they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.
Since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank, the direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy.
Here's an example: a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one with Style Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings outlook, and a bigger chance its share price will decrease too.
Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

PATH's term licensing/per-seat SaaS model avoids unpredictable AI token costs while providing deterministic orchestration that complements the growing Agentic AI use. Combined with the expanded ecosystem partnership and the forward-deployed engineering program, it is unsurprising that the company has reported accelerated backlog growth. FQ1'27 brings forth PATH's ARR growth to $1.9B (+12.2% YoY), expanded operating margins to 22%, and first-ever Q1 GAAP profitability, with it supporting the raised FY2027 guidance.
Key Takeaways PATH grew customers with over $100K ARR to 2,624 from 2,365 a year earlier.UiPath increased customers, generating more than $1M in ARR from 316 to 374.PATH trades at 13.12X forward earnings versus the industry average of 26.27. UiPath (PATH - Free Report) continues demonstrating encouraging enterprise adoption trends, with recent customer metrics highlighting the growing strategic importance of its automation and AI platform among large organizations.
The company reported a notable increase in customers generating more than $100,000 in annual recurring revenue (ARR), rising from 2,365 in the year-ago period to 2,624. This growth suggests UiPath is successfully expanding relationships with existing customers while attracting larger enterprises that are increasingly investing in automation, process orchestration, and AI-driven productivity initiatives.
Perhaps more importantly, UiPath's presence among its largest customers continues to strengthen. Customers generating more than $1 million in ARR increased from 316 to 374 over the same period. This segment is particularly significant because it reflects deeper platform adoption, broader deployment across business functions, and stronger long-term revenue visibility.
The accelerating growth in million-dollar customers indicates that automation is increasingly becoming a boardroom and C-suite priority rather than a departmental technology initiative. As enterprises pursue efficiency gains, cost optimization and AI transformation strategies, UiPath appears to be benefiting from larger and more strategic spending commitments.
These customer trends also support the view that UiPath's platform is evolving beyond traditional robotic process automation into a broader enterprise automation ecosystem. Higher-value customers typically exhibit lower churn rates, greater expansion opportunities, and stronger lifetime value, all of which can contribute to durable revenue growth over time.
While macroeconomic uncertainty remains a consideration, the continued expansion of UiPath's large customer base provides evidence that demand for enterprise automation and AI-powered workflow solutions remains healthy, reinforcing confidence in the company's long-term growth trajectory.
Relevant Industry PeersPegasystems (PEGA - Free Report) remains a significant competitor in enterprise workflow automation and AI-enabled business process management. Like UiPath, Pegasystems continues investing heavily in AI-powered enterprise workflow solutions and customer engagement automation. However, Pegasystems maintains a stronger focus on customer relationship and decision-management platforms alongside automation services.
ServiceNow (NOW - Free Report) is another important player benefiting from enterprise demand for workflow automation and AI integration. While ServiceNow primarily focuses on enterprise service management, the company increasingly overlaps with UiPath in intelligent workflow orchestration and AI-enabled automation. The scale and ecosystem strength of ServiceNow continue to make it a major competitive force within the broader enterprise automation landscape.

UiPath (PATH - Free Report) is one of the stocks most watched by Zacks.com visitors lately. So, it might be a good idea to review some of the factors that might affect the near-term performance of the stock.
Over the past month, shares of this enterprise automation software developer have returned +10.1%, compared to the Zacks S&P 500 composite's -0.2% change. During this period, the Zacks Internet - Software industry, which UiPath falls in, has gained 0.5%. The key question now is: What could be the stock's future direction?
While media releases or rumors about a substantial change in a company's business prospects usually make its stock 'trending' and lead to an immediate price change, there are always some fundamental facts that eventually dominate the buy-and-hold decision-making.
Revisions to Earnings EstimatesRather than focusing on anything else, we at Zacks prioritize evaluating the change in a company's earnings projection. This is because we believe the fair value for its stock is determined by the present value of its future stream of earnings.
Our analysis is essentially based on how sell-side analysts covering the stock are revising their earnings estimates to take the latest business trends into account. When earnings estimates for a company go up, the fair value for its stock goes up as well. And when a stock's fair value is higher than its current market price, investors tend to buy the stock, resulting in its price moving upward. Because of this, empirical studies indicate a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and short-term stock price movements.
UiPath is expected to post earnings of $0.15 per share for the current quarter, representing no change from the year-ago quarter. Over the last 30 days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate has changed +74.2%.
The consensus earnings estimate of $0.79 for the current fiscal year indicates a year-over-year change of +9.7%. This estimate has changed +18.4% over the last 30 days.
For the next fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $0.9 indicates a change of +14.3% from what UiPath is expected to report a year ago. Over the past month, the estimate has changed +3.8%.
Having a strong externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool, the Zacks Rank, offers a more conclusive picture of a stock's price direction in the near term, since it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions. Due to the size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, UiPath is rated Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
The chart below shows the evolution of the company's forward 12-month consensus EPS estimate:
12 Month EPS
Projected Revenue GrowthEven though a company's earnings growth is arguably the best indicator of its financial health, nothing much happens if it cannot raise its revenues. It's almost impossible for a company to grow its earnings without growing its revenue for long periods. Therefore, knowing a company's potential revenue growth is crucial.
For UiPath, the consensus sales estimate for the current quarter of $397.59 million indicates a year-over-year change of +9.9%. For the current and next fiscal years, $1.78 billion and $1.92 billion estimates indicate +10.4% and +8.2% changes, respectively.
The Zacks Value Style Score (part of the Zacks Style Scores system), which pays close attention to both traditional and unconventional valuation metrics to grade stocks from A to F (an A is better than a B; a B is better than a C; and so on), is pretty helpful in identifying whether a stock is overvalued, rightly valued, or temporarily undervalued.
UiPath is graded C on this front, indicating that it is trading at par with its peers. Click here to see the values of some of the valuation metrics that have driven this grade.
ConclusionThe facts discussed here and much other information on Zacks.com might help determine whether or not it's worthwhile paying attention to the market buzz about UiPath. However, its Zacks Rank #2 does suggest that it may outperform the broader market in the near term.

Key Takeaways MED is expanding beyond weight loss into metabolic health with a new science-based product line.New offerings target visceral fat reduction while preserving lean mass and muscle health.Management expects profitability improvement to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026 and continue into 2027. Medifast, Inc. (MED - Free Report) is shifting from a traditional weight-loss focus toward a broader metabolic health strategy. A national survey cited by the company found that nearly 94% of American adults are concerned about at least one aspect of metabolic health, while 85% believe metabolic dysfunction can be reversed. This points to a large underserved market and supports the company’s clinically proven, coach-led approach.
Medifast is strengthening its leadership in metabolic health through ongoing research and a new product line built around its metabolic science, with the metabolic synchronization method delivering targeted metabolic reset, improving key processes and body composition in meaningful ways. At its fourth-quarter earnings call, management stated that the GLP-1 “off-ramp” is growing, with a recent study indicating that roughly two-thirds of patients come off the drugs after two years. Many of these individuals regain lost weight, and in some cases, exceed their original weight after stopping treatment.
Medifast is leveraging its metabolic synchronization science platform to develop a new product line aimed at reducing harmful visceral fat while improving body composition, metabolic efficiency and overall health. These products use a proprietary formula of clinically studied ingredients and are specifically designed to support and enhance metabolic health.
In a 16-week clinical study, participants on Medifast’s 5-in-1 metabolic plan reduced visceral fat by 14% while retaining 98% of lean mass, with the company also emphasizing muscle protection. As more consumers, particularly those transitioning off GLP-1 treatments, focus on body composition, the company’s upcoming plan, program and system aim to meet these needs. It emphasizes the quality of weight loss, removing harmful visceral fat while maintaining lean mass. This approach is generating strong excitement and confidence across Medifast’s field teams.
Medifast is seeing early results from its strategy, with improved coach productivity and emerging business bright spots. The company expects profitability improvements to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026 after launching its new product line, with continued earnings growth targeted through 2027 and beyond. Overall, Medifast’s science-led product pipeline appears central to the company’s plan to stabilize the business and work back toward growth and profitability.

Key Takeaways MED posts Q1 fiscal 2026 results May 4 after close, with revenue consensus at $73.8M.MED's sales likely stayed weak as active earning coaches fell and client acquisition remained challenged.MED reduced marketing and restructured, but lower revenue, deleverage and R&D may slow margins. As Medifast, Inc. (MED - Free Report) prepares to unveil its first-quarter fiscal 2026 earnings on May 04, after market close, investors are eager to see if the company can beat market expectations.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues is pegged at $73.8 billion, implying a 36.3% decline from the prior year. Meanwhile, the consensus mark for earnings has been unchanged at a loss of 55 cents per share in the past seven days, though it indicates a decline of 400% from the year-ago period’s actual. MED has a trailing four-quarter negative earnings surprise of 676.5%, on average.
Key Factors to Note for MED's Q1 EarningsMedifast’s top line is likely to have remained under pressure due to continued weakness in its active coach base. Declines in active earning coaches have been a primary driver of revenue contraction, alongside ongoing challenges in client acquisition. The operating environment remains difficult, reflecting broader disruption in the weight-loss category, including the rapid adoption of GLP-1 medications and shifting consumer expectations, which continue to weigh on demand for traditional programs.
The company’s ongoing transition toward a broader metabolic health platform may also have contributed to near-term headwinds. While this strategic repositioning expands Medifast’s long-term opportunity, improvements in underlying metrics have not yet translated into a meaningful impact on revenues. The shift in messaging and program focus requires time to gain traction with both coaches and clients, which likely continued to weigh on sales momentum during the quarter.
Bottom-line performance is also expected to have remained under pressure due to the combined effect of lower revenues and operating deleverage. Although Medifast has taken steps to align its cost structure with current demand, including reducing marketing spending and implementing restructuring actions, these measures may not fully offset the impact of weaker sales volumes. In addition, ongoing efforts to support its strategic transformation, including research and product development initiatives, may have limited the pace of margin recovery.
On the positive side, improving coach productivity could have provided some support to performance. At its last earnings call, management highlighted early signs of higher productivity within a more focused coach network, driven in part by the exit of less productive coaches and increased engagement in coach-led activities. While these improvements may not yet be sufficient to drive revenue growth, they suggest some stabilization in underlying trends.

BALTIMORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Medifast (NYSE: MED), the metabolic health and wellness company known for its science-backed, coach-guided lifestyle system, today reported results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2026.
First Quarter 2026
Revenue of $76.0 million, with revenue per active earning coach of $5,432 Independent active earning coaches of 14,000 Net loss of $2.1 million, or $0.19 per diluted share ("EPS") Cash, Cash Equivalents, and Investment Securities of $168.9 million with no debt "We are encouraged by the continued progress we are seeing as we execute our metabolic health strategy, including a second consecutive quarter of year-over-year coach productivity growth, strong coach leadership advancement, and high field engagement. These are metrics that have historically been leading indicators of future growth. Backed by our differentiated science, coach-led model, and a disciplined approach to managing costs, we believe we are well positioned to drive improved performance through the remainder of 2026 and a return to sustainable, long-term growth in the years ahead,” said Dan Chard, CEO of Medifast.
First Quarter 2026 Results
First quarter 2026 revenue decreased 34.3% to $76.0 million from $115.7 million for the first quarter of 2025 primarily driven by a decrease in the number of active earning coaches. The total number of active earning coaches decreased 44.9% to 14,000 compared to 25,400 for the first quarter of 2025, primarily driven by continued pressure with client acquisition reflecting broader challenges in the operating environment, including rapid adoption of GLP-1 medications for weight loss. While the company continues its transformation to focus on metabolic health, it expects the number of active earning coaches to continue to decline in 2026. The average revenue per active earning coach was $5,432, compared to $4,556 for the first quarter last year, an increase of 19.2% which was driven by greater alignment of the company's network of coaches, prioritizing productive coaches and efficient coach network structures.
Gross profit decreased 38.6% to $51.8 million from $84.2 million for the first quarter of 2025. The decrease in gross profit was primarily attributable to lower sales volumes. The company's gross profit as a percentage of revenue was 68.1% compared to 72.8% for the first quarter of 2025. The decrease in gross profit as a percentage of revenue was primarily driven by the loss of leverage on fixed costs.
Selling, general, and administrative expenses (“SG&A”) decreased 35.6% to $55.1 million compared to $85.5 million for the first quarter of 2025. The decrease in SG&A was primarily due to a $16.2 million decrease in coach compensation on lower volume and fewer active earning coaches, a $5.6 million decrease in company-led marketing related expenses, a one-time $2.2 million gain on the sale of the company's Maryland Distribution Center building and land previously classified as held for sale, and a $2.0 million decrease in employee compensation resulting from the realignment of the employee base to lower revenue levels. As a percentage of revenue, SG&A decreased 150 basis points year-over-year to 72.4% of revenue, as compared to 73.9% for the first quarter of 2025. The decrease in SG&A as a percentage of revenue was primarily due to approximately 470 basis points of decreased company-led marketing related expenses and 240 basis points of one-time gain on the sale of the company's Maryland Distribution Center building and land previously classified as held for sale, partially offset by 620 basis points of loss of leverage on fixed costs due to lower sales volume.
The company's loss from operations for the period was $3.3 million compared to $1.3 million in the prior year period. As a percentage of revenue, loss from operations was 4.3% for the first quarter of 2026 compared to 1.1% in the prior year comparable period due to the factors described above impacting revenue and SG&A expenses.
Other income decreased 24.3% to $1.4 million from $1.8 million for the first quarter of 2025 primarily due to unrealized gains on the company's investment in LifeMD common stock in the prior year period. The company sold its investment in LifeMD during the quarter ended June 30, 2025.
Income tax expense for the period was $0.2 million, an effective rate of negative 9.3%, as compared to $1.3 million for the first quarter of 2025, an effective rate of 246.8%. Due to the existence of a full valuation allowance against its deferred tax assets recorded as of December 31, 2025, the Company calculated income tax expense for the current period based on actual results for the quarter. As a result, the Company’s income tax provision for the quarter reflects discrete items, primarily state income taxes. The decrease in the effective tax rate was primarily driven by the increased loss incurred in the March 31, 2026 period and the valuation allowance on the net deferred tax assets.
In the first quarter of 2026, the company's net loss was $2.1 million, or $0.19 per share, based on approximately 11.0 million shares of common stock outstanding compared to a net loss of $0.8 million, or $0.07 per diluted share, based on approximately 10.9 million shares of common stock outstanding in the prior year period.
Capital Allocation and Balance Sheet
The company’s balance sheet remains strong with cash, cash equivalents and investment securities of $168.9 million and no debt as of March 31, 2026, compared to $167.3 million in cash, cash equivalents and investment securities and no debt at December 31, 2025. Working capital as defined as current assets less current liabilities as of March 31, 2026 was $160.4 million, compared to $158.7 million of working capital at December 31, 2025.
Outlook
The company expects second quarter 2026 revenue to be in the range of $60 million to $80 million and second quarter 2026 loss per share to be in the range of $0.50 to $1.00. The company expects full year 2026 revenue to be in the range of $270 million to $300 million and full year 2026 loss per share to range from $1.55 to $2.75.
