Comstock podepsal nájemní smlouvu s Virtualitics na kancelář o ploše 3 000 čtverečních stop v Reston Station. Tím posiluje mix nájemců v tomto technologickém areálu.
Comstock Holding Companies, Inc. (CHCI - Free Report) continues to strengthen the tenant mix at its flagship Reston Station development with the addition of Virtualitics, an AI-powered decision intelligence solutions provider. The company has signed a lease for a 3,000-square-foot office in Reston Station.
Pasadena, CA-based Virtualitics develops artificial intelligence applications that help enterprise and government organizations transform complex data into actionable insights.
Reston Station Gains Another Technology TenantThe latest lease reinforces Reston Station's position as a premier mixed-use destination for technology companies seeking modern office space with convenient access to transportation and lifestyle amenities. As demand shifts toward premium, transit-oriented workplaces with integrated lifestyle amenities, Reston Station continues to benefit from its strategic location and diversified tenant base.
Comstock continues to attract businesses looking for well-connected workplaces that support employee recruitment and long-term growth.
A Strategic Asset in Comstock's PortfolioReston Station remains one of the Mid-Atlantic region's largest mixed-use, transit-oriented developments. Spread across approximately 90 acres around the Wiehle-Reston East Metro Station, the property houses several Trophy-Class office buildings occupied by leading companies, including Google, Booz Allen Hamilton, ICF International and CARFAX.
Beyond office space, the development offers luxury residential towers, Virginia's first JW Marriott hotel and residences, along with a wide range of dining, retail and wellness options. The upcoming opening of Ebbitt House, the first expansion of Washington, D.C.'s iconic Old Ebbitt Grill brand, is expected to further enhance the property's appeal.
Why it MattersThe recent move is expected to pave the way for Comstock's expansion in Northern Virginia, a region known for its strong technology ecosystem and government contracting workforce. It is likely to boost CHCI’s revenues by generating additional rental income and supporting higher occupancy at Reston Station.
Apple žaluje OpenAI kvůli údajnému zneužití obchodního tajemství. Tvrdí, že bývalý zaměstnanec, systémový elektroinženýr Chang Liu, po odchodu z firmy zneužil vzácnou dosud neznámou autentizační chybu a stáhl důvěrné soubory.
On Friday, Apple dropped the bombshell news it was suing OpenAI over the alleged theft of trade secrets, claiming that OpenAI stole Apple’s confidential data and engaged in efforts to learn proprietary information while recruiting former Apple employees.
In accusing OpenAI of stealing secrets about Apple’s unreleased products, Apple revealed that a former employee allegedly siphoned reams of sensitive files from the company’s shared network folders, weeks after leaving Apple for a job at OpenAI.
In its complaint, Apple says the former employee, a system electrical engineer named Chang Liu, allegedly “exploited a rare, previously unknown authentication bug” that allowed access to the company’s network. The bug is classified as a zero-day vulnerability, meaning that Apple had no time to fix it before it was allegedly exploited.
Apple has since fixed the bug and said it terminated the employee’s access once it learned of this “security breach.” In its complaint, Apple said the bug could have allowed a “few other” people to access data on its network, but alleged that only Liu exploited the bug to steal Apple’s confidential information while no longer an employee, citing a check of its server logs.
The disclosure, while light in detail, highlights the challenges that organizations face with protecting sensitive corporate data after employees no longer work there. Companies often move to immediately cut off departing staff from further access to protect any sensitive information from leaving, including inadvertently. Companies that fail to fully decommission their employees’ accounts can face future security lapses, data breaches, or malicious actions by disgruntled staff.
Apple spokespeople did not respond to an email from TechCrunch with questions about the security vulnerability, how it was exploited, and when the company decommissioned the employee’s credentials.
“LOL… so funny.” In the complaint, Apple alleged that Liu took “dozens of Apple’s confidential hardware-related files” over the course of several weeks while as a new OpenAI employee.
Apple said the files contained “detailed information about unreleased products, engineering presentations, technical specifications, and proprietary project data.”
The company claims Liu failed to return the Apple-issued work laptop he had previously used to access Apple’s network, suggesting it was once able to send and receive files from Apple’s internal systems. The complaint said that Liu allegedly claimed to have “another computer.” While he was at OpenAI, Liu also allegedly misused the access of an acquaintance, Yu-Ting Peng, a then-Apple employee who later went to work for OpenAI. Liu allegedly used Peng’s Apple-issued work laptop “while she was still employed at Apple and he was not.”
Apple said that during February 2026, Liu “tried to access Apple’s network storage — a cloud-based file repository containing Apple’s confidential engineering files, project documentation, and other proprietary information.”
Liu had allegedly discovered that he “still could access Apple’s network repository after leaving Apple, the result of a then-unknown authentication vulnerability.”
Apple did not describe the authentication “bug” that Liu allegedly used to access Apple’s network. However, authentication bugs generally refer to flaws in the login process that allow improper access to systems or data, either because of a weakness in how the login mechanism works or due to a misconfiguration, such as overbroad permissions or not decommissioning the login credentials of a former employee.
Apple wrote in its complaint that when Liu learned he had unauthorized access to Apple’s systems, he did not report the bug to Apple under his employment agreement obligations, nor did he return his Apple-issued work laptop.
The complaint added that Liu also failed to “delete the program that allowed the access” to Apple’s network. The company did not say what program or app that Liu allegedly used to access Apple’s systems. It’s not uncommon for employees to have tools, such as a work-approved VPN or remote-viewing app, that allow them to access sensitive data from outside of the company’s offices using their credentials.
Given that Liu was previously granted credentials to Apple’s network as an employee, TechCrunch asked Apple when the company decommissioned Liu’s access, but we did not hear back.
Once Liu allegedly gained access to the network share, he wrote to Peng: “LOL, I found out I can access the [network storage], so funny.”
Apple filed its suit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California in San Jose, and has demanded a jury trial. OpenAI previously said it has “no interest in other companies’ trade secrets.”
The case, if it proceeds, could begin this year.

Google v červnu udržel stabilní růst uživatelů i provozu, zatímco Gemini a Claude dál prudce rostly. Bank of America znovu potvrdila doporučení Buy pro Alphabet.
Google maintained steady user and traffic growth in June while rivals Claude and Gemini extended sharp gains, according to a new note from Bank of America.
BofA reiterated its Buy rating on Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG), pointing to comments from Google executives describing an "expansionary moment" for Search that could support continued strength into 2026.
Global daily active users on Google's app rose 1% month-over-month to 2.2 billion in June, per Sensor Tower data cited in the note. ChatGPT held flat at 440 million daily users, while Gemini climbed 7% to 118 million and Claude gained 9% to 18 million.
Gemini added 8 million daily users during the month, more than any other AI app tracked, followed by ChatGPT and Claude, which each added 2 million. Meta AI lost about 200,000 daily users over the same period.
Web traffic data from Similarweb showed a similar pattern. Global daily visits to Google were up 4% year-over-year to 2.8 billion in June, while ChatGPT's web traffic was flat year-over-year at 179 million visits. Gemini's web visits surged 341% year-over-year and Claude's rose 736%, though both remain far smaller in absolute terms than Google or ChatGPT. Meta AI's web visits rose 98% year-over-year.
In the US specifically, Google web visits rose 3% year-over-year to 535 million, while ChatGPT's US visits climbed 19% year-over-year to 31 million, equivalent to roughly 6% of Google's US traffic.
Search market share data from Statcounter showed Google's global share up 79 basis points month-over-month and 171 basis points year-over-year, reaching 91.3%. Bing's global share ticked up 30 basis points month-over-month to 4.7%. In the US, Google's search share rose 86 basis points month-over-month to 86.7%.
BofA said the combination of stable Google traffic and strong ecommerce volumes in the second quarter points to potential upside to Street estimates for Search. The bank flagged new AI-driven ad formats and agentic search features announced at Google's I/O conference, along with broader rollout of Gemini 3.5 Pro, as potential catalysts. Risks cited included Alphabet's relatively elevated valuation compared with its recent history, OpenAI's advertising ramp, and emerging competition from new models.

NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA | NVDA Price Prediction) just reported quarterly net income of $58.32 billion, up 210.63% year over year, for the fiscal first quarter of 2027 ended in the period reported on May 20, 2026. Over the trailing 12 months, Nvidia has now brought in more than $250 billion (a quarter trillion dollars), making its current valuation, at its current run rate, seem more than reasonable.
That said, the number I think more investors may pay attention to is NVIDIA’s operating profit, which more than tripled in twelve months. That tripling comes at a scale that already dwarfs the annual earnings of most companies in the S&P 500.
That figure represents reported GAAP net income for a single three-month period, straight from the filing.
What It Means A tripling of profit at a company already generating tens of billions per quarter tells you the AI infrastructure cycle is still compounding. Revenue for the quarter came in at $81.61 billion, up 85.2% year over year, beating the $79.12 billion consensus by 3.16%. Operating income of $53.54 billion rose 147.42%, and non-GAAP gross margin widened to 75.0% from 60.8% a year earlier.
The engine behind the number is NVIDIA’s data center segment. This business alone brought in more than $75 billion of revenue (up 92% year over year), with data center networking alone at $14.8 billion, up 199%. Free cash flow reached $48.55 billion for the quarter, and that’s what companies are ultimately valued off of.
The bottom line is that NVIDIA’s profitability is now scaling faster than its revenue, which is what margin expansion at hyperscale looks like.
Market Reaction Shares closed at $221.54 on the filing day of May 20, 2026, up from $195.95 at the prior quarter’s filing on February 25, 2026. The stock has since drifted lower, down nearly 12% over the past month and off 2.35% on the current session at $192.94. Year to date, NVDA is still up 6.07%, and one-year return sits at 29.05%. Over five years, the stock has returned 867.71%.
July 16 is the Final Day to Tap Into the Lithium Boom (sponsor)
General Motors, POSCO, and 50,000+ everyday investors have already backed lithium producer EnergyX.
Here's why you should do the same before their July 16 investment deadline: lithium prices are up 75% this year, with demand projected to grow a staggering 5X by 2040.
With tech that can recover up to 3X more lithium than traditional methods, EnergyX is preparing to unlock up to 15M+ tons. Become a private-stage EnergyX investor before the July 16 deadline.
Bull Case The forward setup is where this gets interesting for long-term holders. Management guided fiscal Q2 2027 revenue to $91.0 billion, plus or minus 2%, with non-GAAP gross margin held at 75.0%. That guidance excludes any China data center compute revenue, meaning the number assumes zero contribution from a market that used to be material. Any thaw is pure upside.
Capital return has finally caught up with the earnings power. The board raised the quarterly dividend from $0.01 to $0.25 per share and authorized an additional $80.0 billion in buybacks, on top of $38.5 billion remaining under the prior authorization. Roughly $20.0 billion was returned to shareholders in the quarter. Supply commitments of $119.0 billion underwrite the Blackwell 300 ramp and the newly announced Vera Rubin platform.
Valuation is the counterweight. The chip giant’s forward P/E stands at 23x, PEG at 0.616, with analyst consensus target at $301.62 and 48 Buy ratings against 1 Sell. CEO Jensen Huang framed the setup bluntly: “The buildout of AI factories, the largest infrastructure expansion in human history, is accelerating at extraordinary speed.”
Bottom Line A 210.63% jump in quarterly net income at a company with a $4.67 trillion market cap is the kind of earnings report that reframes the narrative for retirement-focused holders: the mega-cap earnings base is still compounding.
With forward guidance of $91.0 billion in Q2 revenue, an $80.0 billion buyback authorization, and a 25-fold dividend hike, NVIDIA is signaling that the AI cycle it powers has years of runway left. The stock has cooled off its peak, trading below its 50-day moving average of $209.90 and closer to its 200-day at $190.94. For long-term investors, the profit line is doing the talking. The next test comes when fiscal Q2 2027 results land.
Meet America's Newest $1b Unicorn (Sponsor) A US startup just passed a $1 billion private valuation, joining billion-dollar private companies like OpenAI and ByteDance. Unlike those other unicorns, you can invest in EnergyX right now; but only until July 16.
Over 50,000 people already have, along with global giants like General Motors and POSCO.
Here's why there's so much interest: EnergyX's patented tech can recover up to 3X more lithium than traditional methods. That's a big deal, as demand for lithium is expected to 5X current production levels by 2040. Become an early-stage EnergyX shareholder before the 7/16 investment deadline.
Jensen Huang na valné hromadě Nvidie označil pašování čipů za 2,5 miliardy dolarů za „slepou uličku“. Uvedl, že čipy z černého trhu bez aktualizací a podpory rychle zastarají.
Nvidia (NVDA 3.52%) has solidified its position as one of the most important companies in the tech world, as the undisputed leader in artificial intelligence (AI)-related hardware. The company started as a graphics card maker for video games, but its graphics processing units (GPUs) and other advanced AI chips have since become the hardware foundation for the current AI boom.
Unfortunately, there has been a $2.5 billion chip-smuggling scheme on the black market, and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang isn't a fan of what's happening. During Nvidia's shareholder meeting, Huang took a strong stance on the scheme, calling it a "dead end."
This scheme involves smuggling Nvidia chips into markets like China -- where Nvidia has strict import restrictions and controls -- using methods that circumvent audits intended to verify legitimacy. Despite the issue, there are larger implications that should be encouraging to Nvidia investors.
Going nowhere fast A major point Huang made is that Nvidia's AI chips aren't like a typical video game graphics card, where you buy it once and it works indefinitely. These chips are part of an ecosystem that requires constant updates (both software and hardware maintenance) that aren't available to chips acquired on the black market.
In other words, they may work now, but without software updates, security patches, and Nvidia's engineering support, their lifespans are short and will inevitably become unusable or a liability to the companies using them. That's the basis for his "dead end" comments.

Nvidia wants to stay in Washington's good graces As it stands, Nvidia has a monopoly on the advanced GPUs needed to train and deploy AI. Companies like Amazon and Alphabet are beginning to make their own in-house chips, but for the most part, Nvidia comfortably dominates the market. It won't last forever, but other companies have lots of ground to make up before catching up to Nvidia.
Arguably its biggest obstacle right now, though, is government restrictions and compliance requirements. The U.S. has already implemented strict export bans on certain chips to China, so Huang's taking this stance is a way to stay in the good graces of the U.S. government and avoid further crackdowns or potential fines. The fewer geopolitical and regulatory worries, the better.
Nvidia is still rolling strong The black-market chips haven't had much of a negative effect on Nvidia's business. In its most recent quarter (ended April 26), it made $81.6 billion in revenue (up 85% year over year) and $58.3 billion in net income (up 211% year over year).
Nvidia is a well-oiled machine, and this shows just how wide its technological and competitive moat is. That should be encouraging news for investors seeking sustainable growth and who may have had "AI bubble" worries. There's a reason the company was comfortable authorizing an $80 billion share buyback program and increasing its dividend from $0.01 to $0.25.
Jefferies has upgraded Shopify Inc (TSX:SH., NYSE:SHOP) to Buy from Hold and bumped its price target up to $160, pointing to strong early signs for the second quarter, a reworked partner program, and what it thinks is a price increase on the way.
The firm's 2026 earnings-per-share estimates come in at $0.36 for Q1, $0.37 for Q2, $0.44 for Q3 and $0.61 for Q4, adding up to $1.78 for the full year.
Jefferies has been tracking web traffic to shop.app subdomains and found it lines up closely with GMV, a 94% correlation going back to early 2023.
Even factoring in a steady drop in GMV per visit and typical seasonal softness quarter over quarter, the firm thinks Shopify could beat the Street's call for 27% GMV growth in Q2.
The firm also likes changes coming to Shopify's partner commission structure in August, which tie payouts more directly to the value partners actually create on the platform. Jefferies thinks that pushes partners toward landing bigger merchants, sticking around to help them succeed after launch, and paying more attention to things like B2B, POS and Shopify Components, rather than coasting on recurring commissions.
Then there's pricing. Shopify hasn't touched its non-Plus pricing since a 33-34% hike in 2023, and Plus pricing has been flat since a 25% increase in 2024. Since then, the company has added a bunch of new features, including its Sidekick AI assistant, and has been eating the cost of running it.
Jefferies figures that with more merchants actually using and getting value out of Sidekick, Shopify is in a good spot to raise prices again. Management has not committed to anything specific, but Jefferies thinks it's coming. A hike similar to the 2023 move would be small change for any individual merchant, but Jefferies estimates it could add 3-4% to its 2027 revenue numbers, and most of that would flow straight to profit.
On the agentic commerce side, Jefferies stuck with its long-standing view that Shopify is well placed to be the backbone for merchants as AI agents start doing more of the shopping on customers' behalf. The firm sees this as a modest but steady tailwind for GMV over the next few years.
UnitedHealth čeká ve 2. čtvrtletí EPS 4,84 USD při tržbách 110,05 mld. USD před otevřením trhu 16. července. Odhady počítají s poklesem členství, ale s lepším řízením nákladů na péči.
Key Takeaways UNH is expected to report Q2 EPS of $4.84 on $110.05B in revenues before the July 16 opening bell.UnitedHealth may see lower memberships, while improved medical cost management could lift profitability.UNH trades above its historical valuation but below Humana and Molina, with long-term growth in focus. UnitedHealth Group Incorporated (UNH - Free Report) is set to report second-quarter 2026 results on July 16, 2026, before the opening bell. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the to-be-reported quarter’s earnings is currently pegged at $4.84 per share on revenues of $110.05 billion.
Second-quarter earnings estimates witnessed one downward revision and no upward movement over the past 60 days. The bottom-line projection indicates an increase of 18.6% from the year-ago reported number. But the Zacks Consensus Estimate for quarterly revenues suggests a year-over-year decline of 1.4%.

For the current year, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for UnitedHealth’s revenues is pegged at $443.74 billion, implying a decline of 0.9% year over year. However, the consensus mark for current-year earnings per share is pegged at $18.32, implying an improvement of 12.1% on a year-over-year basis.
UnitedHealth beat the consensus estimate for earnings in three of the last four quarters and missed once, with the average surprise being 0.8%. This is depicted in the figure below.
Q2 Earnings Whispers for UNHOur proven model does not conclusively predict an earnings beat for the company this time around. The combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold) increases the odds of an earnings beat. That’s not the case here.
UNH currently has an Earnings ESP of 0.00% and a Zacks Rank #2. You can uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they’re reported with our Earnings ESP Filter.

What’s Shaping UNH’s Q2 Results? The Zacks Consensus Estimate for premium revenues for the second quarter indicates a 2.2% year-over-year decline, whereas our model estimate suggests a 3.1% fall. Lower contributions from both the UnitedHealthcare division and Optum Health are expected to have caused the decrease.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for UnitedHealthcare’s total domestic commercial customers suggests a 1.5% year-over-year decline, whereas our estimate implies a 1.6% slip. The consensus mark for Medicare Advantage members indicates an 11% year-over-year decrease. The same for Medicaid memberships implies a 6.5% fall from the year-ago level. These are likely to have pushed total memberships in the domestic market down from the year-ago period. The consensus estimate implies around 3.6% decline year over year. These are likely to have affected its revenues in the second quarter.
Nevertheless, better medical cost management is likely to have improved its medical care ratio in the second quarter. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for UNH’s medical care ratio is pegged at 88.6%, down from 89.4% in the year-ago quarter.
As such, the consensus mark for UnitedHealthcare’s operating income signals 40.7% year-over-year jump. Moreover, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for operating income from the total Optum business segment suggests a 7.8% year-over-year increase.
UNH’s Price Performance & ValuationUnitedHealth's stock has gained 28.6% in the year-to-date period compared with the industry’s growth of 28.5%. Its peers, such as Humana Inc. (HUM - Free Report) and Molina Healthcare, Inc. (MOH - Free Report) , have jumped 53.1% and 34.4%, respectively, during this time. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 has increased 10.7%.

UNH is trading at 21.63X forward 12-month earnings, above its five-year median of 19.20X, and the industry’s average of 18.48X. In comparison, Humana and Molina Healthcare are currently trading at 32.21X and 33.41X, respectively.

How Should You Play UNH Stock Now?UnitedHealth heads into its second-quarter 2026 earnings report with high expectations, as its results are likely to offer an important read on broader trends across the managed-care industry. The company continues to grapple with regulatory investigations, policy uncertainty and elevated healthcare utilization, all of which could pressure sentiment in the near term. Membership declines across certain businesses also remain a concern, though improved medical cost management is expected to support profitability.
At the same time, UnitedHealth's unmatched scale, diversified healthcare platform and expanding data capabilities continue to support its long-term growth story. The company's efforts to reshape the pharmacy benefit management model through a more transparent, fee-based approach could also strengthen its competitive positioning over time.
While UNH trades above its historical median valuation and the industry average, it remains less expensive than peers like Humana and Molina Healthcare. With a favorable long-term outlook and improving investor confidence regarding execution under CEO Stephen J. Hemsley, the stock appears well positioned. Investors may consider gradually accumulating shares while closely monitoring the upcoming earnings report and developments on the regulatory front.

Anytime we’re talking about a $20 billion buildout of anything, that’s big money. I know, trillions of dollars in this AI buildout are being thrown around, and that number can get lost in the fray. But in the manufacturing or agricultural sectors, that’s big money.
Let’s dive into why this matters for farm equipment supplier Deere (NYSE:DE | DE Price Prediction), and where this stock could be headed from here.
The Number The $20 billion number I put forward earlier represents the commitment Deere has put on the table for U.S. manufacturing investment over the next 10 years, disclosed by CFO T. Brent Norwood on the fiscal Q2 2026 earnings call.
This capital will support precision agriculture buildout that already has customers spraying 5 million acres with See and Spray technology, and running nearly 440,000 monthly active users through the John Deere Operations Center. Indeed, if the manufacturing and construction industries can continue to strengthen from here, this is a company that investors shouldn’t sleep on.
What It Means The aforementioned $20 billion dollar figure is a concrete factory-and-supplier commitment. Norwood laid out the math on the call – approximately 80% of John Deere’s U.S. complete good sales are produced at U.S. manufacturing facilities, and roughly 75% of those components are sourced from U.S.-based suppliers. The Kernersville, North Carolina plant just began building John Deere designed excavators following a $70 million expansion investment.
That manufacturing footprint is what carries the technology. Deere’s R&D spend hit $583 million in Q2 2026, up from $549 million a year earlier. See and Spray scaled from 1 million acres in year one to 5 million acres globally last year, with demonstrated 50% to 60% herbicide savings. Additionally, JDLink Boost kit sales crossed 12,500 units since launch in the second half of 2024, growing 25% in the last quarter alone, and Precision Essentials renewal rates sit at 70% overall and over 90% for second-year customers. That’s evidence that adoption sticks after the first season.

Bull Case The company’s Q2 earnings report delivered where it mattered. Revenue of $13.369 billion beat expectations, and diluted EPS of $6.55 came in ahead of estimates. That represents four consecutive quarters of EPS beats. Construction & Forestry sales rose 29% to $3.79 billion, and Small Agriculture & Turf rose 16% to $3.485 billion. Importantly, Deere’s construction order book is also up more than 60% since November, with over 80% of production slots filled for the year, buoyed by data center construction expected to top $100 billion in 2026.
Management held full-year net income guidance at $4.5 billion to $5.0 billion, raised the Construction & Forestry sales outlook to up approximately 20%, and lifted Financial Services net income to $860 million. Capital returns matched the confidence, with $500 million in buybacks over six months and a $1.62 quarterly dividend. Norwood put the cycle thesis plainly: “our baseline view remains that fiscal 2026 will represent the bottom of the ag cycle.”
New inventory of high horsepower tractors and combines is down more than 50% from the mid-2024 peak. When large ag turns, Deere will turn with a technology stack customers are already paying for.
Bottom Line Deere’s $20 billion manufacturing commitment matters because it makes the precision ag story tangible. Factories in Iowa and North Carolina, a supplier base that is 75% U.S. sourced, and software adoption compounding at over 90% second-year renewals give long-term holders a story with numbers behind it. With a trailing P/E of 36-times (which is not cheap), and Production & Precision Ag sales falling 14% in the quarter, there is some cyclicality to this stock.
Thus, I think the next key data point investors need to pay attention to will arrive on August 20, 2026, when Deere reports Q3 results. If the cycle bottoms where management says it will, the factories are ready.

The highly anticipated U.S. trading debut of SK Hynix NASDAQ: SKHY delivered on its initial promise by pricing at $158.14 and raising an unprecedented $28.1 billion on July 10. Shares quickly gapped above $170 as early buyers scrambled for exposure to the global leader in high-bandwidth memory (HBM). Gravity quickly took hold. A localized wave of macroeconomic selling across Asian semiconductor assets pulled the newly minted American depositary receipts down by more than 7% intraday, pushing the price below $155 by midday Monday.

$177.00 At first glance, a busted initial public offering (IPO) of this magnitude stings retail buyers who bought the early morning gap.
When an offering creates this much initial friction, it pays to step back and evaluate the broader machinery at play.
The early price action reveals a transient liquidity event rather than a structural deterioration in end-market demand.
Early venture capital holders, retail traders, and cross-border arbitrageurs took liquidity off the table following the opening surge, creating a mechanical drop disconnected from the actual business fundamentals.
Separating Trading Volume From TrendUnderneath the daily volatility of the broader semiconductor index, hyperscalers are quietly absorbing fabrication capacity out through 2027. While retail liquidity exits, institutional block buying volume is actively aggregating near the $150 to $155 support levels for SK Hynix. These institutional buyers recognize a stark discrepancy between the localized sell-off in Asian tech equities and the contracted reality of the artificial intelligence hardware supply chain.
This dynamic creates a rare window. When an asset class dominates the financial narrative, distinguishing between a short-term trading vehicle and a long-term compounder becomes essential. The post-IPO sell-off offers an asymmetric accumulation window for the memory oligopoly, presenting an opportunity for investors willing to look past short-term regional macroeconomic headwinds and focus on the physical constraints of chip manufacturing.
Engineering an Unsolvable Supply CrunchThe primary growth engine for modern memory makers is a multi-year imbalance between supply and demand in HBM manufacturing. Producing these advanced chips is not like churning out standard flash storage. The process mandates intensive capital expenditure, complex packaging dependencies, and significantly lower initial yields.
Integrating these vertical memory stacks directly alongside GPUs requires specialized through-silicon vias and advanced bonding techniques. Every time a new generation of logic chips launches, the memory architecture must also evolve, continuously resetting the manufacturing learning curve and keeping supply artificially tight.
SK Hynix leadership utilized the IPO roadshow to outline a severe, multi-year memory supply crunch expected to persist beyond 2030. The South Korean manufacturer strategically pulled forward the sampling timeline for its advanced HBM4E chips to June 2026.
This accelerated schedule is explicitly designed to qualify for next-generation platforms such as NVIDIA's NASDAQ: NVDA Rubin Ultra, effectively locking out non-incumbent competitors from the supply chain. The fresh capital generated from the U.S. listing provides immediate funding for massive fabrication expansions, such as the transition to 400-layer hybrid bonding, without forcing SK Hynix to rely on expensive debt markets.
Advance Payments and the End of CyclicalityWhile SK Hynix executed a near-monopoly over the initial wave of AI hardware buildouts, the landscape is actively recalibrating. The HBM market is maturing into a highly fortified triopoly. Recent qualification and capacity ramps by competitors have compressed SK Hynix’s market share from an estimated 69% in early 2025 to approximately 56%-58% by the second quarter of 2026. This fundamental shift contextualizes the recent SK Hynix price reversion as a transition from monopoly premiums to triopoly realities, with Samsung OTCMKTS: SSNLF and Micron Technology NASDAQ: MU capturing the remaining market share.

Micron Technology is rapidly advancing its competitive position in this structural deficit. The Idaho-based producer is currently mass-producing 48-gigabyte HBM4 stacks capable of exceptional data transfer speeds.
To support this growth, Micron authorized a 10-year, $250 billion domestic investment outlook to build U.S.-based cleanrooms. Operating with a price-to-earnings ratio of around 21, Micron trades at a relative discount to pure-play logic peers despite structurally expanding margins.
The critical evolution in the memory sector is the shift toward revenue de-risking. Hyperscalers and logic designers are issuing unprecedented advance payments to memory makers to secure fabrication capacity. Both Micron Technology and SK Hynix have fully sold out their high-bandwidth capacity through 2026 and heavily into 2027. This visibility largely decouples near-term EBITDA from traditional boom-and-bust memory cycles. It strips hyperscalers of traditional buyer leverage, transferring structural pricing power directly to the memory suppliers.
The Institutional Accumulation WindowDespite these fortified contractual moats, broader sector weakness has created pockets of extreme sentiment in the derivatives market. Micron presents a highly unusual profile right now. Shares recently traded lower, down by over 5% intraday to drop below the $930 level, largely in a sympathy sell-off following the SK Hynix debut.
Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) Price Chart for Monday, July, 13, 2026
With put-to-call open interest ratios recently peaking near 10 ahead of upcoming earnings reports, Micron's options chain reveals heavy bearish positioning. Such extreme levels of bearishness often serve as a contrarian indicator, creating a compelling setup for a potential short-squeeze against prevailing macroeconomic headwinds.
When combining the retail exodus from SK Hynix post-IPO with the aggressive put accumulation in Micron Technology, a clear institutional accumulation blueprint emerges. The physical bottlenecks limiting supply are real, persistent, and not easily resolved by simply injecting more capital into the system.
Advanced packaging dependencies, such as the chip-on-wafer-on-substrate process utilized by key foundry partners, severely constrain the elasticity of memory supply. These constraints ensure that spot prices for HBM will remain elevated even if broader logic chip demand experiences minor, localized fluctuations.
Investors' Blueprint for the Memory OligopolyThe divergence between localized equity sell-offs and the multi-year capacity contracts secured by memory manufacturers creates a distinct valuation mismatch. Rapid generational leaps in memory architecture are effectively creating a closed ecosystem, locking out emerging challengers and solidifying the pricing power of the current triopoly. As long as hyperscaler capital expenditures remain robust, the scarcity premium embedded in these manufacturers appears structurally sound.
A potential risk to this thesis remains an industry-wide slowdown in data center construction or faster-than-expected yield improvements in upcoming fabrication lines. If production yields for advanced hybrid bonding normalize earlier than anticipated, the projected 2027 supply constraints could ease, potentially compressing the premiums currently priced into the sector. Investors may want to monitor institutional accumulation patterns in both SK Hynix and Micron Technology around current support levels to gauge the strength of the structural deficit narrative before taking a position.

Key Takeaways Taiwan Semiconductor expects Q2 growth from AI-driven HPC demand, with results due July 16. TSM's HPC was 61% of Q1 revenues, with AI demand still exceeding available capacity.TSM reported record Q2 monthly revenues, pointing to strong demand for advanced process technologies. Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM - Free Report) or TSMC is scheduled to report its second-quarter 2026 results on July 16, before market opens. The results are expected to reflect continued strength in its High-Performance Computing (HPC) platform, driven by robust AI chip demand from hyperscalers and leading semiconductor customers.
The company's advanced process technologies, particularly the 3nm family and growing demand for advanced packaging solutions are also expected to support another quarter of solid growth. Meanwhile, the smartphone business is likely to remain healthy on seasonal demand, though AI-related HPC is expected to remain the primary growth engine.
Check out our analysis to determine whether TSM stock is worth buying ahead of its second-quarter earnings.
Q2 Expectation for HPCDuring its first-quarter 2026 announcement, TSMC provided guidance for its second-quarter revenues in the band of $39.0-$40.2 billion, implying roughly 10% sequential growth at the midpoint, supported by continued strength in leading-edge process technologies. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter revenues is pegged at $39.63 billion. Management also projected gross margin of 65.5%-67.5% and operating margin of 56.5%-58.5%, reflecting sustained high-capacity utilization and ongoing cost-improvement initiatives despite dilution from overseas fabs.
The biggest driver is expected to remain the HPC platform, which has emerged as TSMC's largest business. In the first quarter, HPC revenues climbed 20% sequentially and accounted for 61% of total revenues, far surpassing smartphones at 26%. The company attributed the momentum to robust AI-related demand, noting that the shift from generative AI toward agentic AI is increasing token consumption and computational requirements, thereby boosting demand for leading-edge silicon. The company also emphasized that cloud service providers continue to provide a strong demand outlook. With trends remaining the same, we expect HPC once again to be the top performer in the second quarter of 2026.
Importantly, TSMC indicated that AI- and HPC-related demand remains supply-constrained rather than demand-constrained. During the first-quarter announcement, the company repeatedly stated that demand for HPC AI applications continues to exceed available capacity, prompting the company to raise its 2026 capital spending outlook toward the upper end of its $52-$56 billion range. TSM also announced an expanded global 3-nanometer capacity plan, including additional capacity in Taiwan, Arizona and Japan, while continuing to convert 5-nanometer tools to support N3 production. The company said these investments are primarily intended to meet robust demand from HPC AI customers. This should get reflected through the second-quarter results.
TSMC's monthly revenue updates from April to June pointed to sustained demand for advanced process technologies, while management's second-quarter guidance called for sequential revenue growth. Particularly, the company reported strong June 2026 monthly revenues, resulting in record second-quarter revenues on a monthly-sales basis and indicating that demand for advanced process technologies remained robust. This should get reflected through in the second-quarter numbers.

Competitive PositioningIntel (INTC - Free Report) : Intel is scheduled to report second-quarter 2026 results on July 23. Demand across its Client Computing and Data Center & AI businesses is expected to have remained supportive in the second quarter, while Intel Foundry is anticipated to benefit from a higher EUV wafer mix and continued customer engagement. However, heavy investments in leading-edge manufacturing, process technology development and global fab expansion are likely to continue to weigh on near-term profitability. The stock carries a Zacks Rank #1 with an Earnings ESP of 0.00%
Broadcom (AVGO - Free Report) : Its third-quarter fiscal 2026 results are expected to benefit from sustained demand for custom AI accelerators and AI networking products, supported by ongoing hyperscaler investments in AI infrastructure. Growth in AI semiconductor revenues is likely to remain the primary catalyst, while performance across its non-AI semiconductor and infrastructure software segments could influence the pace of overall revenue and earnings growth. The company carries a Zacks Rank #2 and has an Earnings ESP of 0.00%.
Final TakeTSMC remains well-positioned ahead of its second-quarter results, supported by resilient AI-driven HPC demand, industry-leading advanced process technologies and expectations of record quarterly revenues. While the lack of a positive ESP tempers near-term earnings beat expectations, long-term fundamentals remain compelling. Investors may consider buying the stock with a measured approach ahead of the earnings release.
Lockheed Martin oznámil rekordní backlog ve výši 194 miliard USD, tedy asi 2,5násobek ročních tržeb. Firma tak má silnou viditelnost tržeb na další roky.
This post may contain links from our sponsors and affiliates, and Flywheel Publishing may receive compensation for actions taken through them.
$194 billion. That is the order backlog Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT | LMT Price Prediction) carried on its books at the end of 2025, disclosed alongside its Q4 2025 report on January 29, 2026. CEO Jim Taiclet framed it plainly on the earnings call: “We finished the year with a record high backlog of $194 billion, about two and a half times annual sales.” It is the fourth consecutive year the figure has grown, and it lands with a book-to-bill ratio of 1.2 for the full year.
What It Means A backlog worth roughly 2.5 years of sales is a visibility number, not a vanity one. It tells long-term holders that revenue for 2026 and beyond is largely spoken for before the year begins. The company’s backlog itself grew by $17.3 billion, or 17%. And CFO Evan Scott noted the additions were concentrated in the company’s signature franchises: F-35, PAC-3, JASSM, LRASM, and CH-53K.
The operating picture backs up a bullish story around this defense name. Lockheed’s full-year 2025 revenue came in at $75.05 billion, Q4 revenue was $20.321 billion against a $19.858 billion estimate, and diluted EPS of $5.80 beat the $5.75 consensus. Impressively, Missiles and Fire Control grew 18% in the quarter, F-35 deliveries hit 191 aircraft in 2025 (up from 110 in 2024), and Government helicopter deliveries reached 90 (up from 72).
Market Reaction Shares closed the Q4 filing day at $626.83 on January 29, 2026, rose to $676.70 thirty days later, then gave the move back. The stock is at $545.91 as of July 2, 2026. Even after the pullback, LMT is up 14.2% year to date and 21.23% over one year, with a 4.62% gain on July 2 alone.
Bull Case Lockheed’s backlog is the anchor, but the structure underneath it is what makes this a long-term thesis rather than a one-quarter story. The company signed a seven-year framework agreement for PAC-3 missiles in early Q1 2026, and management announced a similar agreement for THAAD on the same call. Taiclet said the PAC-3 arrangement will “increase annual production capacity from approximately 600 to 2,000 per year”. He also flagged make-whole provisions that protect returns if procurement strategy changes.
Management is putting capital behind the demand signal. Lockheed deployed more than $3.5 billion in 2025 into production capacity and next-generation technology, and is guiding capital and IRAD spending toward approaching $5 billion in 2026. Missiles and Fire Control has line of sight to at least double-digit compound annual sales growth through the end of the decade. On the F-35 side, contract awards tied to Lots 18 through 21 and full-year sustainment total more than $15 billion.
Shareholder returns are steady rather than showy. Lockheed repurchased $3.0 billion of stock (6.6 million shares) in 2025 and has raised its dividend for 23 consecutive years. The current dividend is $13.50 per share at a 2.65% yield. Analyst consensus target sits at $617.05, above the current price, with a forward P/E of 17.
Bottom Line I think that Q1 2026 gave shareholders a reminder that quarter-to-quarter defense results can be lumpy. Lockheed’s EPS came in at $6.44 versus a $6.70 estimate, hit by $125 million in unfavorable F-16 adjustments, and free cash flow was negative $291 million. That said, the company’s management team reaffirmed 2026 sales guidance of $77.5 billion to $80.0 billion, diluted EPS of $29.35 to $30.25, and free cash flow of $6.5 billion to $6.8 billion.
The next earnings report is the forward catalyst investors should watch, because it will test whether the backlog is converting on schedule.
For retirement-focused holders, the case rests on the $194 billion already contracted, the seven-year framework agreements layered on top, and a dividend record that has now stretched across more than two decades. One number does not guarantee the next quarter. It does tell you what the next several years look like.

While macroeconomic and geopolitical challenges mount, the ecommerce market is growing through innovation, technology and insight, as it continues to take away slices of the total retail pie. Commerce Department numbers are proof of this trend: ecommerce sales in the first quarter of 2026 grew 9.8% over 1Q25 (2.7% sequentially), with total retail sales increasing 3.9% (1.5% sequentially). Ecommerce accounted for around 16.9% of total U.S. retail sales. A point to note here is that consumers are increasingly blending their online and offline shopping experiences, so this distinction may ultimately become irrelevant. As a corollary, it is those retailers that have the capacity to sell through both channels that will be able to compete tomorrow.
While ecommerce continues to take share from traditional retail, the pace has moderated. Additionally, geopolitics is a major challenge for ecommerce players at the moment given the wars, tariffs and tensions between nations today that are disrupting supply chains, increasing costs and reducing efficiencies. This creates a highly competitive environment where growth comes mainly from price competition and share gains.
Our picks Wayfair (W - Free Report) and Carvana (CVNA - Free Report) are doing precisely that. Wayfair offers a huge range of home improvement products along with nationwide infrastructure and logistics in an attractive format that allows it to record significant share gains. It has trimmed its cost structure, so its surging revenues are falling through to the bottom line. Carvana is seeing even stronger share gains, as it offers a superior online buying experience in a used-car market that is still largely brick-and-mortar.
Both companies are sensitive to interest rate movements however, therefore the latest FOMC deliberations are not supportive. We believe they will continue to grow regardless because of their unique capabilities and market positioning.
The convenience of online shopping (particularly through mobile devices) remains the top reason for ecommerce volumes, along with the merging of physical and digital channels. Gen-Z is the biggest driver, which is, increasingly, the more relevant demographic.
Many of these buyers have grown up on the Internet and are accustomed to a high level of digitization. They are also likely to hang out on popular social media platforms, allowing themselves to be influenced by the latest trends there. This is driving an entirely different perspective on the ecommerce space, one that revolves around digital influencers and appears to be expanding with more advanced technology such as AR/VR, social commerce and generative AI.
About the Industry Internet - Commerce refers to all economic activity (B2B, B2C, C2C, DTC) through websites, mobile apps, online marketplaces. and social commerce platforms. It therefore continues to evolve as the technologies driving it advance, whether on the consumer side or the platform provider side that increasingly includes a combination of chatbots, AI and social media, as well as payments and checkout systems, digital marketing, logistics and fulfillment, cross-border trade, and customer data/analytics tools.
Differentiation comes from better technology for improved showcasing, range, easier navigation and payment, speedier delivery and returns, brand building, comparison shopping, loyalty, etc. as well as good customer service and more (and free) shipping options, which generally tip the scales in favor of larger players.
Current Trends Driving the Internet-Commerce Industry ·Macroeconomics and geopolitics do not favor the industry right now. The macroeconomic environment is creating a more cautious and cost-sensitive backdrop for the industry, shifting it from a high-growth phase to one focused on efficiency and profitability. Elevated inflation has reduced consumers’ real purchasing power, leading to weaker discretionary spending and a greater focus on essentials, discounts and value-driven purchases. At the same time, still-high interest rates keep borrowing costs for both consumers and companies elevated, affecting both the production and consumption sides of the equation. Consumer confidence about the current labor market continues to soften and consumption is still being driven largely by inflation. As a result, there is continued pressure on conversion rates and basket sizes, while rising labor, logistics and warehousing costs continue to squeeze margins. As a result, companies are prioritizing cost control, automation and higher-margin revenue streams such as advertising and subscriptions to sustain profitability in a slower-growth environment. Geopolitics is simultaneously reshaping the industry by disrupting the global infrastructure that e-commerce depends on. Trade tensions, tariffs and regional conflicts are increasing the cost of goods and creating volatility in supply chains, leading to delays, stock shortages and higher shipping expenses. At the same time, the global trading system is becoming more fragmented, with companies shifting toward regional supply chains and “friendshoring” strategies to reduce risk, even at the cost of efficiency. Regulatory complexity is also rising.Competition is heating up. Ecommerce has raised the bar on what is an acceptable online marketplace. Today, it is one that offers low prices, fast or free shipping, hassle-free returns and a seamless omnichannel experience. Then again, because it is so easy to switch platforms, customer loyalty is hard to pin. Therefore, players increasingly find that mere online presence isn’t enough. They must strive for operational excellence, differentiated customer experiences, efficient logistics and disciplined capital allocation in order to stay in business.AI is shaping up to be one of the major enablers of ecommercebecause it transforms e-commerce from a generic marketplace into a highly customized, data-driven ecosystem that boosts both revenue growth and profitability. AI allows platforms to use customer data to optimize every step of the shopping experience. Companies like Amazon and Shopify leverage AI to deliver demand forecasting, targeted advertising, dynamic pricing and personalized product recommendations, significantly improving conversion rates and average order value. On the operational side, it helps optimize inventory and supply chains, reducing costs and enabling efficient deliveries. The latest development here is agentic commerce where LLM models like ChatGPT recommend products, compare features and complete the sale. Even if you’re unsure about what to buy, the statement of your general intention may be enough to complete a sale. As a result, customers get increasingly comfortable with the superior recommendations and personalization it offers. For example, Adobe estimates that traffic to retail sites from generative AI tools was up 693.4% year over year in the 2025 holiday season. The total retail experience between physical and digital continues to blur as most consumers blend their online and offline activities. This usually takes the forms of research online and buy in-store or buy online and pick up in-store. Physical stores are increasingly experience centers allowing the traditional touch and feel that many customers can’t do without. Some also prefer to walk out with their purchase. Therefore, a solid physical presence is undoubtedly a positive. Also, any experience that increases the speed of delivery/pickup is preferred. This may entail increased reliance on robots, self-driven delivery vehicles and drones that could ease bottlenecks and make deliveries smoother and cheaper.A leading trend is Gen-Z popularizing social commerce. Social commerce means the ability to discover, research and complete the purchase of products and experiences on a social media platform. Consumers shift from intent-based search to content-driven discovery while scrolling through short videos, influencer content or live streams on platforms like TikTok or Instagram. Zacks Industry Rank Indicates Weakness The Zacks Internet - Commerce industry is a rather large group within the broader Zacks Retail And Wholesale sector. It carries a Zacks Industry Rank of #180, which places it in the bottom 27% of 247 Zacks industries.
Our research shows that the top 50% of the Zacks-ranked industries outperforms the bottom 50% by a factor of more than 2 to 1. So the group’s Zacks Industry Rank, which is basically the average of the Zacks Rank of all the member stocks, indicates negative near-term prospects.
Ecommerce being in the bottom 50% of Zacks-ranked industries is the result of its relative performance versus others. What we’re seeing in the aggregate estimate revisions for 2026 is a more or less steady decline until March this year, followed by slight recovery. The 2027 estimate follows the same general trend but the recovery is somewhat sharper.
The past year has seen the aggregate earnings estimate for 2026 shrink 6.5%, while that for 2027 dropped 1.2% from 2025 actuals. The macroeconomic uncertainty, adverse geopolitics, the cautious tone around rate cuts, consumer thrift are contributing to softer spending and thus weaker estimates.
Before we present a few stocks that you may want to consider for your portfolio, let’s take a look at the industry’s recent stock-market performance and valuation picture.

2 Stocks to Add to Your Portfolio There is a significant variety of stocks in this industry in terms of lines of business, business model, location and so forth. This is also the reason that choosing stocks especially in the current environment can be tricky. We have used our proprietary ranking system to pick 2 stocks that appear attractive today.
Wayfair Inc. (W - Free Report) : Boston, MA-based Wayfair is an online retailer of a broad range of home improvement products across the furniture, décor, lighting, kitchenware, home improvement and outdoor categories. It has a large supplier network and proprietary logistics infrastructure supporting deliveries across the U.S.
Wayfair’s greatest strength is in the scale of its offerings (over 40 million products from more than 20,000 suppliers), which along with its investments in its logistics network and technology platform, enables it to deliver exceptional customer service and record share gains. Internally, the goal is to maximize EBITDA dollars while using excess cash to manage debt and buy back shares. The first-quarter EBITDA margin of 5.2% was the best in five years, so the plan appears to be on track.
A series of restructuring actions over the last few years has driven this improvement. During the pandemic the company had expanded operations, taking in extra hands to deal with the surging traffic. Between Aug 2022 and Mar 2025, it cut back over 5000 positions net of relocations, flattening the organizational structure to speed up decision making and reduce cost. AI adoption helped eliminate over 300 positions. It also exited German operations citing better prospects in the U.S., Canada, UK and Ireland. The result was a concentration of resources on initiatives that were likely to yield the highest returns.
With a leaner operating structure and stronger revenue growth outlook, Wayfair looks poised for continued growth. Recent results were mainly driven by share gains as the housing market to which it is tied remains sluggish. While it appears that interest rates will not come down further any time soon, this would be an additional catalyst, as it would bring mortgage rates down and large-scale home buying would return.
Analysts are clearly optimistic about Wayfair. The company certainly has a great track record of beating estimates, posting positive surprises in three of the last four quarters, at an average rate of 56.7%. For 2026, analysts expect 5.6% revenue growth and 11.9% earnings growth. For 2027, revenue and earnings growth are expected to be a respective 5.9% and 29.6%. In the last 30 days, analyst estimates for 2026 and 2027 have increased 12 cents (4.3%) and a penny (less than a percentage point).
The shares of this Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) company’s shares are up 59.6% over the past year.

Carvana Co. (CVNA - Free Report) : Tempe, AZ-based Carvana, through its website and mobile app, is America’s leading online marketplace for used cars. The entire transaction, from browsing inventory, financing, and purchasing vehicle protection products and insurance, is completed online with options for home delivery or pick up at a car vending machine. Following the acquisition of ADESA’s U.S. auction business, it also operates a nationwide logistics network, as well as vehicle auction, inspection and reconditioning facilities.
Carvana reported very strong quarterly results wherein unit volumes grew 40% (the sixth straight quarter of 40%+ growth) as the company continued to take share in a market that was essentially flat in the last quarter. The focus on its vertically integrated operating model and use of technology to improve customer experience helped it take share. While wholesale prices increased rapidly during the quarter, there was the typical lag in passing these on at retail, which compressed wholesale-to-retail spreads, hurting margins.
The company also stands to benefit from any improvement in the interest rate. Lower interest rates would bring more buyers into the market, and many replacement buyers would be likely to trade in their vehicles, adding to the used-car supply. Additionally, the used vehicle market in the U.S. is much larger than the new vehicle market, as used cars are much cheaper. As a result, affordability considerations are likely to drive a substantial portion of replacement demand toward used vehicles.
New vehicle production has largely recovered from the pandemic era disruption and new vehicle sales are expected to remain steady going forward. This, together with continued improvement in trade-in activity, should gradually replenish the supply of late-model used vehicles and create a healthier marketplace for both buyers and sellers.
Analysts are optimistic about double-digit revenue growth both this year and the next although the earnings growth rate is expected to decline a bit this year. Of course, actual growth rates may end up higher. Carvana certainly has a good track record of beating estimates: beating estimates in three of the last four quarters at an average rate of 71.6%.
For 2026, analysts expect 38.5% revenue growth and -6.5% earnings growth. For 2027, revenue and earnings growth are expected to be a respective 25.7% and 34.5%. In the last 60 days, analyst estimates for 2026 and 2027 have increased 5 cents (3.3%) and 4 cents (1.9%), respectively.
The shares of this Zacks Rank #2 company are down 5.2% over the past year.

Chipotle and Alsea plan additional openings in Nuevo León this year and expansion into Mexico City in 2027 , /PRNewswire/ -- Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG) today announced that the first Chipotle restaurant in Mexico will open on Thursday, July 16 in San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León, part of the Monterrey metropolitan area, in partnership with Alsea (BMV: ALSEA*), a leading restaurant operator in Latin America and Europe. The Monterrey metropolitan area was selected as Chipotle's first location in Mexico due to its strong economy, growing population, and status as one of the country's leading business and innovation hubs. Vertex Pharmaceuticals oznámila plánovanou akvizici Crinetics Pharmaceuticals za 10 miliard USD. Podle firmy by mohla přidat až 5 miliard USD ročních tržeb.
Vertex Pharmaceuticals (VRTX 1.00%) has a robust business that centers around cystic fibrosis therapies. But its growth rate has been slowing down of late. And despite having a stellar pipeline and encouraging growth prospects, the stock's returns over the past year have been nominal.
Now, with the company announcing plans for a big $10 billion acquisition of Crinetics Pharmaceuticals (CRNX +0.11%), could that make the pharma stock a much better buy, perhaps even a no-brainer buy at its current valuation?

The deal could inject a ton of growth into Vertex's business Crinetics is a company that develops treatments for endocrine diseases and disorders. This is a company that's still in its early growth stages, as last year its revenue totaled less than $8 million and its net loss was over $465 million.
But it has multiple promising assets in its portfolio, including Palsonify, which was approved last year to treat acromegaly, which is a hormonal disorder that can cause an enlargement of certain parts of the body. Atumelnant is not approved yet, but it is in the midst of clinical trials and is a treatment for congenital adrenal hyperplasia, which relates to multiple genetic conditions that impact the adrenal glands. Combined, these drugs could add $5 billion in annual revenue to Vertex's top line. The deal is expected to close fairly soon -- in the third quarter of this year.
That is significant given that last year, Vertex's revenue totaled $12 billion, which was an increase of nearly $1 billion, or about 9%, from the previous year. This acquisition could drastically grow its business.

Should investors buy the dip on Vertex Pharmaceuticals? Despite the promising growth angle here, Vertex's stock has fallen after announcing the cash deal. That isn't entirely surprising, as the acquiring company normally sees its shares fall after a major acquisition, as investors may be concerned about the price paid for the business, the drag on earnings in the short term, and whether it will truly pay off. In short, it adds some risk.
However, with Vertex's management doing a great job of growing the business over the years and raking in some strong profits, it appears to be a well-calculated move. The healthcare stock is a bit expensive, trading at 29 times its trailing earnings, but given how much more diverse the business has become and its enhanced growth prospects, it could be a no-brainer buy on weakness right now, particularly for long-term investors.
Energy Transfer zvýšila výhled růstových kapitálových investic na 5,5 až 5,9 miliardy USD. Investice míří hlavně do plynovodů pro datová centra a dalších dlouhodobých projektů.
Energy Transfer (ET +2.62%) is one of the largest midstream energy companies in the United States, with more than 140,000 miles of pipeline for transporting crude oil, natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), natural gas liquids (NGLs), and other refined products.
The company recently upgraded its 2026 growth capital expenditure (capex) guidance to $5.5 billion to $5.9 billion, up from an initial estimate of $5 billion to $5.5 billion, demonstrating its shift to a cycle of growth.
For income and growth investors, this elevated spending level carries several critical implications.

The build-out is connected to a backlog This isn't speculative "build-it-and-they-will-come" spending. Management has stated these projects are underpinned by long-term, fee-based volume commitments targeting mid-teens returns. A substantial portion of this capital is flowing toward meeting the massive demand for natural gas-fired electricity generation to support artificial intelligence (AI) data centers.

The company has announced three major gas pipeline projects this year, in addition to three pipeline laterals designed as direct connections to end users, so it already has waiting customers for its projects.
Key drivers for these projects include the gas-to-electricity trend, especially for fueling data centers, and growth in natural gas liquids exports. For example, Energy Transfer's Texas network will supply natural gas to the Nexus Hubbard Campus in central Texas, fueling the on-site generation that powers their new AI hyperscale facility.
Energy Transfer's aggressive capital spending is being driven by a combination of generational shifts in power demand, regional production gluts, and a deliberate decision to pivot away from high-risk megaprojects toward immediately accretive infrastructure.
Its dividend is safe, even with expansion plans In past cycles, a heavy capex budget might have raised red flags regarding the safety of the partnership's distribution. However, Energy Transfer's financial footing is solid. The company raised its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) to between $18.2 billion and $18.6 billion, meaning the company has immense cash flow.
In the first quarter, Energy Transfer reported revenue of $27.7 billion, up 32% year over year. Adjusted EBITDA was $4.94 billion, up 20.5% over the first quarter of 2025, and distributable cash flow (DCF) was $2.7 billion, up 16.8% year over year.
The company's DCF easily covers its 6.77% distribution yield, as of its current share price, and provides a heavy multibillion-dollar internal equity cushion to self-fund this growth. Dilutive equity issuance to fund this backlog is off the table.
Energy Transfer said it plans to keep raising distributions by 3% to 5% each year. It's increased its distributions for 18 consecutive quarters.
Investors may need to be patient While the projects are high-return, infrastructure takes time to build and commission. Because billions of dollars are actively tied up in construction work in progress (CWIP), they are not yet generating EBITDA.
Energy Transfer's shares have risen by more than 19% this year, but that trend may slow. The company's spending plans will likely keep the company's forward valuation multiple compressed in the near term, at just below 13 times forward earnings. The true rerating and subsequent free cash flow inflections are more likely to be a late-2027 and 2028 story once these assets go into service.
Because the company is allocating more capital to organic projects rather than aggressively buying back units or overindexing on distribution hikes, investors should expect management to stick to its conservative 3% to 5% annual distribution growth target. It strikes a clear balance: Reward unit holders today while fully capitalizing on a generational build-out of energy infrastructure.

Humana míří do roku 2028 na 3% marži Medicare Advantage a v roce 2026 očekává asi 25% růst individuálního členství. Zároveň potvrdila upravený EPS alespoň 9,00 USD pro rok 2026.
Key Takeaways Humana aims for a 3% Medicare Advantage margin by 2028 as it rebuilds long-term profitability.HUM expects about 25% individual Medicare Advantage membership growth in 2026 through disciplined execution.Humana reaffirmed at least $9.00 adjusted EPS guidance for 2026 despite Star Ratings headwinds. Humana Inc.’s (HUM - Free Report) turnaround is no longer about growing membership, it's about rebuilding profitability. The company has set a goal of achieving a 3% Medicare Advantage margin by 2028, making it one of the most important milestones for its long-term earnings recovery. The key question is whether Humana can translate that strategy into sustainable profit growth.
Unlike many managed care companies that have scaled back benefits to protect margins, Humana continues to expect approximately 25% growth in individual Medicare Advantage membership in 2026. The focus is on attracting higher-quality members through disciplined pricing, stronger product design and better retention rather than pursuing growth at any cost.
Humana is working to improve medical cost trends through tighter care management and stronger operational execution. It is also investing to rebuild its Medicare Star Ratings, a key driver of future reimbursement and profitability. Higher Star Ratings would increase quality bonus payments, strengthen its competitive position and support long-term profitability.
Despite elevated healthcare utilization and a challenging regulatory environment, Humana reaffirmed its 2026 adjusted EPS guidance of at least $9.00, reflecting confidence in its turnaround plan despite the temporary Star Ratings headwind. The near-term focus is on controlling medical costs, improving Star Ratings and turning membership growth into higher profits. Delivering on these priorities will be key to reaching the 3% Medicare Advantage margin target and supporting a sustained earnings recovery.
How Are Humana's Peers Positioned?Restoring Medicare Advantage profitability has become a key priority across the health insurance industry. UnitedHealth Group Incorporated (UNH - Free Report) and CVS Health Corporation (CVS - Free Report) are also focused on improving margins through disciplined execution.
UnitedHealth Group is emphasizing disciplined pricing, stronger care management and value-based care to improve Medicare Advantage margins. UNH is prioritizing sustainable profitability over aggressive growth, much like Humana.
CVS Health is repricing Medicare Advantage plans, refining benefits and strengthening medical cost management to improve profitability. CVS is taking a disciplined approach to rebuild margins and support long-term earnings growth.
HUM’s Price Performance, Valuation and EstimatesShares of HUM have gained 53.1% year to date, outperforming the broader industry’s 28.5% growth.

From a valuation standpoint, HUM trades at a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 32.21X, up from the industry average of 18.48X. Humana carries a Value Score of B.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for HUM’s 2026 earnings implies a 47.4% deterioration year over year, followed by a 66.1% improvement next year.

Key Takeaways R hiked its quarterly dividend by 10.9% to $1.01 per share, payable on Sept. 18 to shareholders as of Aug. 24.This marks R's 200th consecutive quarterly dividend, continuing over 50 years of uninterrupted payouts.Dividend-paying stocks are less susceptible to market swings and act as a hedge against economic uncertainty. Last week, Ryder System, Inc. (R - Free Report) ) stated that its board of directors had announced an increase in its quarterly dividend payout, reflectingthe company’s commitment to boosting shareholder value, apart from underlining confidence in its business.
Dividend-paying stocks provide a solid income stream and have fewer chances of experiencing wild price swings. Dividend stocks are safe bets for creating wealth, as the payouts generally act as a hedge against economic uncertainty, like the current scenario.
Given this backdrop, the question that naturally arises is: Should investors buy, hold, or sell Ryder stock now? A more in-depth analysis is needed to make that determination. Before diving into Ryder’s investment prospects, let’s take a glance at its financial numbers.
Ryder’s Recent Dividend Increase of 10.9%In a shareholder-friendly move, Ryder’s board of directors has approved a dividend hike of 10.9%, thereby raising its quarterly cash dividend to $1.01 per share ($4.04 annualized) from 91 cents ($3.64 annualized). The raised dividend will be paid on Sept. 18, 2026, to shareholders of record as of the close of business on Aug. 24, 2026. The move reflects R’s intention to utilize free cash to enhance its shareholders’ returns.
R's latest dividend hike is the first increase since July 2025, implying the company’s confidence in its financial footing. This marks Ryder’s 200th consecutive quarterly cash dividend. Notably, Ryder has been making uninterrupted dividend payments for more than 50 years.
Ryder has been making uninterrupted dividend payments for more than 48 years. Ryder’s bottom line has been benefiting from its consistent efforts to reward its shareholders through dividends and share buybacks. During 2022, Ryder paid dividends of $123 million and repurchased shares worth $557 million. In 2023, Ryder paid dividends of $128 million and repurchased shares worth $337 million. In 2024, Ryder returned $456 million in cash to shareholders through share repurchases and dividends. During 2025, Ryder returned $664 million to shareholders through share repurchases and dividend payments. During first-quarter 2026, Ryder returned $272 million to shareholders in the form of share repurchases and dividends.
Apart from being shareholder-friendly, Ryder is well-served by its focus on contractual growth and operational discipline. Upbeat used vehicle sales, particularly in its fleet management segment, along with stable pricing and improved contractual sales activity, bode well.
Ryder's cost-cutting initiatives in response to the weak freight market conditions are also commendable. Higher free cash flow generation expectation (this reflects lower capital spending due to softer lease sales activity) for the full year is another added positive. Ryder generated $2.59 billion of cash from operating activities in 2025, higher than the $2.26 billion generated in 2024. For 2026, adjusted ROE (return on equity) is expected to be in the range of 17-18%. Net cash from operating activities is still projected to be $2.7 billion.
Ryder Stock’s Price PerformanceShares of Ryder have gained 40.5% so far this year, outperforming the Zacks Transportation - Equipment and Leasing industry’s 11.8% increase, as well as that of other industry players, The Greenbrier Companies, Inc. (GBX - Free Report) and Wabtec Corporation (WAB - Free Report) .
Ryder Stock’s YTD Price Comparison Image Source: Zacks Investment Research
Attractive Valuation Picture for Ryder StockRyder looks cheap from a valuation standpoint. Considering the forward 12-month price-to-sales ratio (P/S-F12M), Ryder is trading at a discount compared to the industry.
The stock has a forward 12-month P/S-F12M of 0.76X compared with 2.26X for the industry over the past five years. These factors indicate that the stock’s valuation is attractive. Ryder has a Value Score of A.
Ryder P/S Ratio (Forward 12 Months) Vs. Industry Image Source: Zacks Investment Research
What Do Earnings Estimates Say for Ryder? The positive sentiment surrounding Ryder stock is evident from the fact that the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the third quarter of 2026 and the fourth quarter of 2026 earnings has been revised upward in the past 90 days. The consensus mark for 2026 and 2027 earnings has also been projected northward in the past 90 days.
The favorable estimate revisions indicate brokers’ confidence in the stock.

Time to Buy Ryder StockApart from being attractively valued, Ryder stock is being well-served by its focus on contractual growth and operational discipline. Upbeat used vehicle sales, particularly in its fleet management segment, along with stable pricing and improved contractual sales activity, bode well. Initiatives to reward its shareholders through dividends and buybacks are praiseworthy as well.
We believe that the positives surrounding the stock (as highlighted throughout the write-up) outweigh the concerns regarding supply-chain disruptions and high fuel costs due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, tariff-induced economic uncertainties, risks associated with an economic slowdown, geopolitical tensions and a leveraged balance sheet. We, therefore, suggest investors add Ryder stock to their portfolios for healthy returns. The company’s Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) further supports our thesis. Key Takeaways FormFactor shares surged 110.7% YTD as record DRAM revenue and HBM demand fueled outperformance.FORM is expanding beyond memory into networking chips, GPUs, custom ASICs and co-packaged optics.FORM targets $240 million in Q2 2026 revenues, while heavy expansion spending may pressure margins. FormFactor (FORM - Free Report) shares have jumped 110.7% year to date (YTD), outperforming the Zacks Computer and Technology sector’s appreciation of 17%. The outperformance can be attributed to record DRAM revenues, driven by an accelerating high-bandwidth memory (HBM) demand and sharp margin expansion. However, FORM’s prospect remains dependent on continuing AI infrastructure spending. Heavy investments in the Farmers Branch manufacturing expansion are likely to keep margins under pressure.
Nevertheless, we believe FORM’s share price is well-poised to appreciate, driven by strong demand for HBM as well as an expanding AI exposure beyond memory into networking, GPUs and custom ASICs. These factors are expected to strengthen FORM’s competitive position against broader semiconductor competitors, including Teradyne (TER - Free Report) , Cohu (COHU - Free Report) and KLA (KLAC - Free Report) YTD. Shares of Cohu, KLA and Teradyne have returned 141.4%, 90.5% and 85.8%, respectively. So, what should investors do with the stock? Let’s dig deep to find out.
FORM Stock’s Price Performance
AI & Strong HBM Demand Aids FORM’s ProspectFormFactor is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the AI infrastructure buildout through its leadership in HBM probe cards. The company expects another record DRAM revenue growth in the second quarter of 2026 as a second major customer ramps up adoption of FORM’s SmartMatrix technology. The company also highlighted that the transition from HBM3 to HBM4 and eventually HBM5 increases test intensity and market-share opportunities.
FormFactor is now winning business across networking chips, data-center CPUs, GPUs and custom ASICs. Management noted that networking growth helped a leading high-performance computing customer become a 10% customer for the first time. FORM also secured additional GPU design wins, expects production shipments in the second half of 2026 and is deepening engagements with hyperscalers on custom ASICs. This broadens AI exposure and reduces dependence on any single product category.
FormFactor is also benefiting from the emergence of co-packaged optics (CPO), an important AI networking technology. The company raised its 2026 CPO revenue outlook toward the high end of the previously guided $10-$20 million range, citing faster production ramps and growing demand for Triton production-test systems developed with Advantest and Tokyo Electron. Through its Triton production-test platform and Keystone Photonics acquisition, FORM expects accelerating CPO adoption to become another long-term growth driver.
FormFactor sits at the intersection of two of the industry's strongest secular trends - high-performance computing and advanced packaging. As chips become more complex, advanced packaging, HBM stacks and chiplet architectures require substantially more testing, increasing probe card demand. At Investor Day, FormFactor outlined plans to double revenue by 2030 while more than doubling non-GAAP earnings, supported by AI infrastructure growth, advanced packaging adoption and higher test intensity.
FORM’s Earnings Estimate Revision Shows Positive TrendFormFactor’s guided second-quarter 2026 revenues to $240 million (plus or minus $5 million), with non-GAAP gross margin expected at 49.5% (plus or minus 1.5%), and non-GAAP earnings projected at 61 cents (plus or minus 4 cents) per share.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter 2026 earnings is pegged at 61 cents per share, up 10.9% over the past 60 days and indicating 125.93% growth over the year-ago quarter’s reported figure. The consensus mark for second-quarter 2026 revenues is pegged at $240.1 million, suggesting 22.6% growth from the year-ago quarter’s reported figure.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 earnings is pegged at $2.40 per share, up 5.7% over the past 60 days and indicating 84.62% growth over 2025’s reported figure. The consensus mark for 2026 revenues is pegged at $958.05 million, suggesting 22.1% growth from 2025’s reported figure.
FORM Shares Are Trading at a PremiumFormFactor shares are trading at a premium as suggested by a Value Score of F.
In terms of the forward 12-month price-to-sales (P/S), the company is trading at 9.23X compared with the broader sector and peers. The broader sector is trading at 6.98X while Cohu, Teradyne and KLA trade at 4.28X, 11.24X and 17.47X, respectively.
FORM Stock’s Valuation
ConclusionFormFactor is benefiting from the rapid expansion of AI infrastructure, leveraging its leadership in semiconductor probe cards and wafer-level testing technologies. As hyperscalers and chipmakers invest heavily in AI servers, the demand for HBM, GPUs, networking chips and custom AI accelerators continues to rise, significantly increasing the need for advanced semiconductor testing solutions. Momentum is also supported by co-packaged optics programs, including the Triton production-test ramp and the Keystone Photonics acquisition that expands optical probing capability. These factors justify a premium valuation.
FormFactor currently sports a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), which implies that investors should start accumulating the stock right now. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank stocks here.
Key Takeaways Eaton closed 6.7% below its 52-week high, supported by electrification and data center demand.Eaton expects 2026 adjusted EPS of $13.05-$13.50 and organic revenue growth of 9-11%.Eaton's 24.72% ROE tops the industry, but its 27.96X forward P/E signals a premium valuation. Shares of Eaton Corporation (ETN - Free Report) closed at $407.28, a 6.7% discount to its 52-week high of $436.74. This diversified power management company and a global technology leader in electrical components and systems is gaining from rising electrification and data center demand.
Eaton has gained 1.3% in the past three months, outperforming the industry. It has, however, lagged its sector and the Zacks S&P 500 composite in the same time frame.

DigitalOcean čeká ve 2. čtvrtletí růst tržeb asi o 29 % a RPO má přesáhnout 800 milionů USD, více než desetinásobek oproti loňsku. Tahounem jsou nové velké AI kontrakty a delší než tříleté smlouvy.
Key Takeaways DigitalOcean expects Q2 revenue growth of about 29%, accelerating from 14% a year earlier. Nine-figure AI commitments should lift RPO above $800 million, more than 10 times the year-ago level. Contract duration should exceed three years as committed data center capacity reaches about 155 MW. DigitalOcean (DOCN - Free Report) shares have soared 171.2% year to date, significantly outperforming the Zacks Computer and Technology sector's return of 16.9%. The rally has been fueled by accelerating artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, an increasing number of enterprise clients and improving financial performance as the company transforms itself into an AI-native cloud platform.
However, the momentum has hit a brake in the past three sessions following DigitalOcean’s preliminary second-quarter 2026 results, which were announced on July 7. Shares lost 4.8% to close at $130.49 on July 10 and were roughly 3% down at the time of writing this article.
DOCN expects remaining performance obligations (RPO) to exceed $800 million, up more than 10 times year over year. The increase is being driven by multiple new nine-figure annual customer commitments for AI inference and cloud services. The weighted average contract duration is also expected to rise from 1.6 years to more than three years, significantly improving long-term revenue visibility.
DigitalOcean expects second-quarter revenue growth of approximately 29%, accelerating from 14% in the year-ago quarter. Adjusted EBITDA margin and non-GAAP earnings per share are projected to be at or above the high end of previously issued guidance.
To support growing AI demand, the company has secured an additional 20 megawatts (MW) of committed data center capacity for late 2027 and early 2028, bringing total committed capacity to approximately 155 MW. These large customer commitments reinforce DigitalOcean's position as an emerging AI infrastructure provider while providing greater certainty around future revenues.
AI Expansion Supports DigitalOcean's Growth StoryThe preliminary second-quarter outlook builds on DigitalOcean's strong first-quarter execution. In the first quarter of 2026, revenues increased 22% year over year to $258 million, while AI customer annual recurring revenues (ARR) surged 221% year over year to $170 million. ARR from customers generating more than $1 million annually climbed 179% to $183 million, underscoring accelerating adoption among larger enterprise customers.
DigitalOcean has transformed from a traditional cloud infrastructure provider into a full-stack AI-native cloud platform that combines GPU infrastructure, inference services, managed databases, Kubernetes and AI agents within a single integrated platform. This strategy simplifies AI deployment, reduces vendor lock-in and positions the company to benefit from growing enterprise demand for AI inference and agentic workloads. The company continues to invest aggressively in AI infrastructure, product innovation and data center capacity to support future growth.
DOCN’s Earnings Estimate Revision Trend SteadyThe Zacks Consensus mark for earnings per share is pegged at 26 cents, unchanged over the past 30 days. The figure implies a year-over-year decrease of 55.93%.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter 2026 revenues is pegged at $274.73 million, indicating year-over-year growth of 25.62%.

Rigetti získala kontrakt na dodávku 108qubitového kvantového počítače pro C-DAC v Indii, což potvrzuje rostoucí poptávku po kvantové infrastruktuře. Akcie RGTI jsou letos o 25,4 % níže.
Key Takeaways Rigetti pairs its Fab-1 chip facility with a modular architecture aimed at scaling quantum systems.A 108-qubit C-DAC contract signals rising demand for dedicated quantum infrastructure.Shares are down 25.4% YTD, while 2026 earnings estimates imply a 71.9% year-over-year improvement. Artificial intelligence did not become a transformative technology overnight. While advances in algorithms were important, widespread adoption accelerated only after the underlying hardware ecosystem matured. Quantum computing could be entering a similar phase, with the focus gradually shifting from scientific breakthroughs to building the infrastructure needed for commercial adoption. That trend could create opportunities for companies like Rigetti Computing (RGTI - Free Report) , which is investing in manufacturing capabilities and scalable hardware architecture alongside advances in quantum performance.
Rigetti differentiates itself through its vertically integrated approach. The company owns and operates Fab-1, a dedicated quantum chip fabrication facility that provides greater control over manufacturing and product development. Its modular architecture is designed to support larger quantum systems by connecting multiple chips, potentially offering a more scalable path than relying solely on increasingly complex monolithic processors. At the same time, commercial momentum appears to be improving.
Rigetti recently secured a contract to deliver a 108-qubit quantum computer to India's Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), highlighting growing demand from governments and research institutions for dedicated quantum infrastructure. While the company remains in the early stages of commercialization and execution risks persist, its strategy suggests Rigetti is positioning itself not just as a quantum hardware developer but as a provider of the infrastructure that could support the industry's long-term growth.
Peers UpdatesQuantum Computing Inc. (QUBT - Free Report) , or QCi, recently completed its acquisition of NHanced Semiconductors in a deal valued at $73.1 million in cash and stock, with potential additional milestone payments of up to $72 million. The transaction expands QCi's semiconductor fabrication and advanced packaging capabilities, supporting the company's transition from research and prototyping to scalable commercial manufacturing. The acquisition also adds specialized engineering expertise, strengthening QCi's ability to develop and produce its photonic quantum technologies at scale.
IonQ (IONQ - Free Report) recently unveiled Clavis XG Multiplex, a new addition to its Clavis XG Quantum Key Distribution portfolio, designed to make quantum security even more practical and deployable across metropolitan fiber networks. The Clavis XG product line stands out for its enterprise-grade network integration, offering benefits in form factor and maintenance to configuration and management. IonQ also recently opened a new laboratory suite in Boulder, CO, to support quantum computing R&D and semiconductor chip testing facilities.

Key Takeaways BigBear.ai eliminated $124.6 million of 2029 convertible notes, leaving $16.5 million of debt.BBAI ended Q1 with $431.5 million in cash and investments and backed 2026 revenue guidance.BBAI's backlog rose 14% sequentially to $281.9 million, helped by a $53 million intelligence contract. BigBear.ai (BBAI - Free Report) has taken a meaningful step toward strengthening its financial profile by aggressively reducing debt, a move that could improve investor confidence even though the company remains unprofitable.
The biggest milestone came in January 2026, when BigBear.ai eliminated the remaining $124.6 million of its 2029 convertible notes, primarily through debt-to-equity conversions. As a result, only about $16.5 million of debt remained at the end of the first quarter, with management expecting that balance to be settled before the end of 2026. The transaction also reduced first-quarter interest expense by $4.8 million year over year, freeing up resources for growth initiatives.
The healthier balance sheet gives BigBear.ai greater financial flexibility as it pursues opportunities in national security and trade and travel. Management ended the first quarter with $431.5 million in cash and investments, while affirming its 2026 revenue guidance of $135-$165 million. The company also reported a 14% sequential increase in backlog to $281.9 million, supported by a $53 million classified intelligence contract and expanding demand for its Ask Sage generative AI platform.
Operationally, the company is shifting toward higher-margin software and AI platforms. Ask Sage is helping improve revenue mix, contributing to a sharp expansion in gross margin to 34% from 21.3% a year earlier. Management is also integrating recent acquisitions, reorganizing sales teams around growth markets and targeting additional government AI contracts.
While the deleveraging effort marks a positive turning point, it is not a complete investment thesis. BigBear.ai continues to post net losses and negative adjusted EBITDA, while operating cash flow remained negative in the first quarter. For the stock to sustain a re-rating, the company must convert its stronger balance sheet, expanding backlog and AI-driven product portfolio into consistent revenue growth and profitability.
BBAI’s Price Performance, Valuation & EstimatesShares of BBAI have plunged 39.4% so far this year, lagging the Zacks Computers - IT Services industry, as shown below. At the same time frame, other industry players, including C3.ai, Inc. (AI - Free Report) and Palantir Technologies (PLTR - Free Report) , have lost 33.6% and 28.7%, respectively.

Jim Cramer says a single AI product decision at Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META | META Price Prediction) just moved the stock roughly $100 per share, and he is using it as Exhibit A for why big tech is nearly impossible to trim.
In his Sunday column, Cramer wrote that on the June 30 episode of Mad Money he argued a cloud business announcement from Meta would be “worth an easy 100 points, or $100 per share, for the stock,” back when shares closed at $563. Ten trading days later, they closed at $669.21.
That is a 14.81% move in a single week and a 17.31% move in a month on a company with a $1.7 trillion market cap. Cramer’s takeaway, published on CNBC: “By a simple stroke of a pen, Meta gives you 100 points, or almost 20%.”
The Catalyst Cramer Called The specific event was Meta signaling it would rent out excess AI compute. Zuckerberg told Bloomberg last week that “the offers that you get for using the compute are so high that it may make sense, in some cases, to rent out or consider those kind of deals instead of your own internal uses.” Meta jumped 5.97% on Friday, July 10, closing at $669.21.
The compute-monetization pivot lands on top of Meta Superintelligence Labs, the new AI research entity Zuckerberg introduced on the Q1 2026 call. He described it as a “milestone quarter” that included “the release of our first model from Meta Superintelligence Labs” and reiterated the goal of “personal superintelligence to billions of people.”
The Numbers Under the Rally Meta’s Q1 2026 report, filed with the SEC on April 29, showed revenue of $56.31 billion, up 33.08% year over year, and EPS of $10.44 against a $6.66 estimate. The advertising engine grew 33%, with ad impressions +19% and average price per ad +12%. Family daily active people reached 3.56 billion.
The catch: capex. Meta raised full-year 2026 capital expenditure guidance to $125–145 billion, up from a prior $115–135 billion range. Q1 capex alone hit $19 billion. Cramer’s argument is that the compute-rental pivot changes how investors should think about that spend, because dormant infrastructure suddenly becomes a revenue line rather than a capex sinkhole.
Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Meta didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.
Debt Versus AI Payback The bear case Cramer is answering is leverage. Total debt has climbed from $13.87 billion at year-end 2021 to $86.77 billion at the end of Q1 2026. Capital lease obligations tied to AI data centers doubled to $28.02 billion. Debt-to-equity has moved from 0.111 to 0.356.
The offset is cash generation. Retained earnings reached $144.65 billion. Operating cash flow in Q1 was $32.23 billion. Liquid assets total $51.84 billion, and the current ratio sits at 2.35x.
Investors sorting the AI winners from the also-rans may find useful context in our 7 Stocks Powering the AI Boom (That Aren’t Chipmakers) report, which frames why hyperscalers with in-house monetization paths get valued differently than pure infrastructure plays.
What to Watch Next At 24x trailing earnings and 19x forward, Meta is not cheap on a growth-adjusted basis, but the analyst consensus target of $828.34 implies room above current levels, backed by 49 Buy and 8 Strong Buy ratings against zero Sell calls. Q2 revenue guidance is $58–61 billion.
Prediction markets are notably split on tempo. Polymarket traders assign a 64.5% probability that shares finish today lower, yet give Meta an 80.5% chance of ending 2026 with a higher valuation than OpenAI. That is the exact tension Cramer’s column captures: near-term digestion is possible, but the AI optionality is the reason he says these names are so hard to leave.

$125 billion to $145 billion. That is what Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META | META Price Prediction) now expects to spend on capital expenditures in 2026, raised from a prior range of $120 to $135 billion when the company reported first-quarter results on April 29, 2026.
Now, this is forward-looking guidance, not a reported figure. That said, this number stands against a 2025 full-year capex base of $72.215 billion. The framing writes itself: Meta is preparing to deploy roughly $50 billion more on AI infrastructure this year than last, and CFO Susan Li told analysts the raise reflects “higher component pricing this year and, to a lesser extent, additional data center costs to support future-year capacity.”
What It Means The scale is what stops you. In the first quarter alone, Meta spent $18.997 billion on capex, up 46.8% year over year. The company also disclosed that multiyear cloud deals and infrastructure purchase agreements drove a $107 billion step up in contractual commitments during the quarter. Zuckerberg framed the spend directly: “We are investing aggressively to meet our infrastructure needs and ensure we maximize our strategic flexibility over the coming years.”
What backs the spend is a business still compounding at scale. Q1 revenue came in at $56.311 billion, up 33.08% year over year, with operating income of $22.872 billion and a 41% operating margin. Ad impressions rose 19% and average price per ad rose 12%, both year over year, while family daily active people reached 3.56 billion. Free cash flow was $12.386 billion in the quarter, and operating cash flow reached $32.226 billion. Additionally, reported EPS of $10.44 exceeded expectations against a consensus of $6.6587, though investors should note the beat was inflated by an $8.03 billion one-time tax benefit tied to U.S. Treasury guidance on capitalized R&D, worth $3.13 per share.
Market Reaction Meta shares have not rewarded the Capex raise. From the Q1 filing date on April 29, 2026 through July 2, 2026, the stock is down 12.81%, moving from $668.53 to $582.90. Year to date, shares are off 11.54%. Over the past week, however, the stock has moved higher by 7.37%, and one TradingKey report attributed a 7.56% single-day gain on July 1 to plans to launch a cloud infrastructure business selling excess AI computing capacity.
Bull Case The bull case rests on three data points that connect the capex to cash. First, monetization is accelerating alongside the AI build. On Instagram, Q1 ranking improvements drove a 10% lift in Reels time spent, and Facebook video time rose more than 8% globally, the largest quarter-over-quarter gain in four years. Enhancements to the Lattice and GEM ad models delivered a more than 6% increase in conversion rate for landing page view ads.
Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Meta didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.
Second, the business AI layer is scaling from a small base. Susan Li said Meta now has “more than 10 million conversations each week being facilitated through business AIs, up from 1 million at the start of the year.”
Third, the company is diversifying compute suppliers to control cost, with Zuckerberg noting Meta is “rolling out more than one gigawatt of our own custom silicon that we are developing with Broadcom as well as a significant amount of AMD chips to complement the new NVIDIA systems.”
I think Meta’s valuation still frames the setup as reasonable for a business growing revenue in the low 30s. The company’s trailing P/E multiple sits at 22, forward P/E at 19, and the analyst consensus target is $828.13 against a current price of $582.90. Ratings tilt heavily positive with 8 strong buy, 49 buy, 6 hold, and zero sell ratings. Prediction markets favor Meta over OpenAI at 81% probability of a higher year-end valuation.
Bottom Line For long-term holders, Meta’s raised capex range is the clearest statement the social media and tech giant has made about where the next decade of returns will come from. The company’s Q2 guidance calls for revenue of $58 to $61 billion, and management expects full-year 2026 operating income above 2025 levels even after absorbing the higher spend.
The next test is the Q2 earnings report against that $58 to $61 billion range. If ad pricing, impression growth, and business AI adoption keep compounding, the $125 billion to $145 billion looks like scale investors will eventually pay up for. If any of those levers slip, the same number becomes the bear case in one earnings cycle.

Akcie Tesly v pondělí klesly o více než 3 %, protože investoři dál čekají na další pokrok v oblasti umělé inteligence a robotaxi. Trh navíc oslabil po oznámení Donalda Trumpa o obnovení blokády íránské lodní dopravy přes Hormuzský průliv.
Tesla stock TSLA fell more than 3% on Monday as investors continued to wait for further progress in the company's artificial intelligence initiatives.
The electric-vehicle maker's stock traded at $393.56 during Monday's session.
The broader market also came under pressure after President Donald Trump announced he was reinstating what he described as a blockade on Iranian shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
The S&P 500 fell 0.4%, while the Nasdaq Composite lost 1%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 132 points, or 0.3%.
Trump said in a post on Truth Social: “We are reinstating the THE IRANIAN BLOCKADE, so named because it is only stopping Iran’s ships or customers from entering or leaving.”
Tesla investors have increasingly focused on the company's artificial intelligence strategy, particularly the rollout of its autonomous robotaxi service and the commercialization of its Optimus humanoid robot.
The company launched its robotaxi service in Austin, Texas, in June 2025. While the launch generated significant attention, the expansion has progressed gradually.
The service now operates in several cities but remains substantially smaller than Alphabet's Waymo.
Tesla has yet to begin commercial sales of Optimus, although it is preparing manufacturing capacity for the humanoid robot.
On Friday, the company released a video showing the decommissioning of the Model S and Model X production lines at its Fremont, California, facility.
According to Tesla, the process of removing tooling and infrastructure took less than 50 days, allowing the factory to prepare for Optimus production while continuing to manufacture Model 3 and Model Y vehicles.
Tesla announced in January that it would discontinue production of the Model S and Model X to repurpose manufacturing capacity for robots. Chief Executive Elon Musk has described humanoid robots as a multi-trillion-dollar opportunity.
Despite those plans, investors continue to await updates on the latest version of Optimus as competing robotics companies.
Tesla is expected to provide additional updates on Optimus when it reports second-quarter earnings on July 22.
Jefferies raised its price target on Tesla to $400 from $375 while maintaining a Hold rating, citing the company's stronger-than-expected second-quarter automotive deliveries.
Tesla reported second-quarter deliveries of 480,126 vehicles, including 467,800 Model 3 and Model Y units, exceeding the consensus estimate of around 410,000 vehicles.
Following the delivery results, Jefferies increased its second-quarter earnings before interest and taxes estimate to $1.45 billion, representing a 5.1% margin.
The firm also increased its automotive revenue forecast to $21 billion, including $250 million in zero-emission vehicle credits and $500 million in leasing revenue.
Jefferies expects total group revenue of $28.7 billion and group EBIT of $1.45 billion for the quarter.
Earlier this month, RBC Capital raised its price target on Tesla to $500 from $475, incorporating a premium tied to a potential merger with SpaceX while also updating its standalone valuation for the automaker.
Analyst Tom Narayan said the revised target reflects "a 25-30% premium to current trading levels (and a 15% premium to the stock's intrinsic value) owing to a potential SpaceX acquisition scenario based on unconfirmed media reports."
According to RBC, the most likely transaction structure would involve an all-stock acquisition in which SpaceX acquires Tesla at a 20% to 30% premium.
The firm said the rationale centers on operational collaboration, including proprietary chip manufacturing, Megapacks for data center energy requirements, and joint AI training and fleet management services.
RBC also said Tesla shareholders would likely require a premium because Musk "would control 50%+ of a combined entity, well above the ~20% stake he currently holds in Tesla."
Excluding any potential SpaceX acquisition premium, RBC valued Tesla at $435 per share.
Within that valuation, Narayan increased the firm's robotaxi segment valuation by 20%, citing a higher forecast for the global robotaxi fleet and describing the business as "currently Tesla's most robust opportunity" within a $4.2 trillion total addressable market.

PARIS, July 13 (Reuters) - Saudi startup Riyadh Air is studying the purchase of between 25 and 30 more Boeing (BA.N), opens new tab 787 Dreamliners by exercising most of its contractual options with the U.S. planemaker, and may also top up its Airbus order book, industry sources said.
The carrier, which last month staged its first commercial revenue flight, ordered up to 72 Boeing Dreamliners in 2023, including 39 definitive orders and options for a further 33.

An announcement that Riyadh Air is converting the bulk of those options into outright purchases could come as early as next week's Farnborough Airshow, the sources said, though they cautioned that details were still being discussed.
Riyadh Air and Boeing both declined to comment.
Riyadh Air also has 25 Airbus A350-1000 long-haul jets on order along with options for another 25. Industry sources say some of those may also be converted into firm orders. Airbus declined comment.

Nvidia v pondělí klesla o 3,2 %, ale nové oznámení Meta o vyšších výdajích na AI infrastrukturu dál podporuje očekávání silné poptávky po čipech. Wall Street zůstává vůči NVDA převážně optimistická.
Nvidia NVDA stock declined on Monday, even as fresh announcements on artificial intelligence infrastructure spending reinforced expectations of continued demand for the chipmaker's products.
Shares of Nvidia were down 3.2% at $204.12 in trading.
The decline broadly tracked weakness in the wider market, with the Nasdaq Composite falling 1.4%. However, Nvidia outperformed the broader semiconductor sector, as the PHLX Semiconductor Index fell 4.8%.
Despite Monday's move, Nvidia has significantly lagged the broader chip sector this year.
Through Friday's close, the PHLX Semiconductor Index had gained 75%, while Nvidia shares were up just 12%.
The latest AI infrastructure announcement came from Meta Platforms, which said on Monday it would increase spending on its Louisiana data center to more than $50 billion.
Meta, alongside SpaceX, is one of Nvidia's major customers and uses the company's hardware to train its latest artificial intelligence models.
John Belton, portfolio manager at Gabelli Funds, said in a Barron's report continued competition among AI model developers could benefit Nvidia.
“Fragmentation in the LLM [large language model] space is a good thing for Nvidia. While they still have an opportunity to grow share with [Claude developer] Anthropic, it isn’t necessarily a great thing for Nvidia longer term if the model-as-a-service space starts to look like a winner take all market.”
Wall Street also remains broadly optimistic on Nvidia despite the stock's relative underperformance.
According to FactSet, the company now trades at a forward price-to-earnings ratio of less than 20 times, while the average analyst price target stands at $313.39.
Mizuho Securities analyst Vijay Rakesh reiterated an Outperform rating and a $300 price target on Saturday, arguing that Nvidia would benefit from an expected $1.2 trillion in data center capital expenditures next year.
Tech strategist Dan Ives also expressed confidence in Nvidia during an interview with CNBC, dismissing the recent weakness in the stock.
According to Ives, investors have recently shifted their attention toward memory stocks, creating what he described as the "shiny new toy" effect.
“You’ve seen so many of these names, when the ones that are actually at the center, whether it’s the hyperscalers or Nvidia… those are actually the ones, to some extent, almost in the penalty box.”
Valuation, earnings and supply remain key focusIves argued that there is a disconnect between market performance and the companies driving AI development.
“The reality is, there’s one chip in the world fueling the AI revolution, that’s by the godfather of AI the revolution, Jensen of Nvidia.”
According to Koyfin data, Nvidia's forward price-to-earnings ratio has recovered to around 21.2 after falling to 19.6 last week, levels last seen in January 2019.
Ives also pointed to the importance of the upcoming earnings season in assessing AI monetization.
“When you look at memory, where is memory with Nvidia? Where's memory without hyperscalers? This all plays into what's going to be a crucial earnings season in Q2 for monetization.”
He added that demand for AI chips continues to exceed available supply.
“I continue to see chip demand far outstripping supply,” estimating the demand-to-supply ratio at “15-to-1.”
There is never a good time for a stock to be on the losing end of an analyst downgrade or a sinking price target adjustment, but the worst possible scenario has to be just before the publicly traded company steps up with fresh financials. This happened on Monday, with Oppenheimer slashing its price target on Netflix (NFLX +1.48%) from $120 to $100. The leading premium streaming platform reports its second-quarter results on Thursday afternoon.
Wall Street pros aren't perfect. They are human, and not just because they have a tendency to aim lower on earnings projections more often than not. However, knocking down a price target instead of waiting for the actual numbers to come out three days later is intentional. Oppenheimer didn't want to enter earnings season with a higher price target. It might not be a big deal, but let's zoom in for a closer look.
Be kind, rewind It's worth noting that Oppenheimer's senior internet analyst, Jason Helfstein, also lowered Netflix's price target three months ago. He slashed his price goal on the shares from $135 to $120 on April 17, the day after the platform's poorly received first-quarter release. It's worth noting that the adjustment occurred after the April report. The price target tweak is coming ahead of the performance report this time around.
Oppenheimer's April downward revision was attributed, in part, to the firm conceding that it had been too ambitious in modeling how a recent price hike could boost Netflix's performance. This week's markdown is slightly more optimistic, despite the price target receiving a $20 haircut.

Oppenheimer's Helfstein argues that the stock's historically low earnings multiple is baking in the near-term pressures in advertising and consumers shifting to lower-priced subscription tiers. It still sees upside in Netflix stock, especially if it can address recent challenges. He is sticking with his firm's bullish outperform rating on the shares. Even at the new $100 price goal, that represents a healthy 36% of upside from where Netflix entered the new trading week.
Shares of Netflix have tumbled 40% over the past year, with the lion's share of that happening in the last three months. The stock is trading for just 20 times forward earnings, a historical bargain for a stock that has routinely commanded a premium given its sticky engagement, market dominance, and steady all-weather growth.
A major Wall Street analyst talking down a price target just days before a telltale quarterly update isn't a good look, but a closer look shows that it's just adapting to the new reality. As long as the revision still offers upside and a bullish stock rating -- and this checks off both boxes -- it's not as problematic as it might seem.

Visa (NYSE:V | V Price Prediction) stands as a nearly $700 billion payments giant poised for continued long-term growth. The company’s payments network touched 69.4 billion processed transactions in the quarter, yet it also sits on top of three earlier quarterly provisions of $899 million, $615 million, and $992 million. The disruption story at Visa is showing up quarter after quarter, in cash. This past quarter alone, Visa booked a $707 million litigation provision, which has some investors concerned.
But should they be?
What It Means Visa is still a cash machine. Fiscal Q1 2026 net revenue came in at $10.90 billion, up 14.6% year over year, with non GAAP EPS of $3.17 beating the $3.1423 estimate. Net income came in at $5.853 billion, and cross border volume excluding intra Europe rose 11%, while data processing revenue climbed 17% to $5.544 billion.
The pressure sits beneath that. Full year FY2025 revenue rose 11.34% to $40 billion, but net income advanced only 1.6% to $20.058 billion. That is margin compression at a company built on operating leverage. In Q1 FY26, non GAAP operating expenses grew 16%, faster than net revenue. The $707 million interchange provision explains part of the gap. The rest is spending to defend a network under attack from stablecoins, real time rails, domestic wallets, and agentic commerce.
Market Reaction Shares of Visa stock closed at $326.37 the day of the Q1 FY26 filing and traded at $362.13 on July 2, 2026. Year to date, Visa is up 3.68% against the S&P 500 tracker SPY at 9.22%. Over one year, Visa returned 3.04% versus 20.04% for SPY. The stock is trailing the index it usually rides.
Bear Case The bear case centers on a widening gap between top line growth and bottom line growth, and the reasons that gap is opening.
First, litigation is a recurring line item. Four consecutive quarters of interchange MDL provisions of $992 million, $615 million, $899 million, and $707 million point to a settlement structure that keeps taking bites out of the company’s GAAP earnings. Merchant challenges to interchange are one of the risks Visa flags directly in its filings, alongside complex and evolving global payments regulations, government imposed restrictions on international payments systems, and continued push to lower acceptance costs.
Second, competition is arriving on multiple fronts at once. CEO Ryan McInerney told analysts that “there will be more competition in Europe and globally, including domestic digital wallets and initiatives like Wero and a potential digital euro.” Stablecoin card programs are growing, with volume up nearly 200% year over year in Q2. Visa is positioning as a bridge layer, but bridge economics are not the same as toll booth economics.

Third, the market is charging Visa a full price for a slowing story. The company’s trailing PE ratio sits at 31, its forward PE is 23, and its price to sales sits at 15.52. Reddit chatter has already zeroed in on the valuation question, with a recurring thread noting Visa and Mastercard “both trading at 28x PE TTM” and sentiment cooling from bullish scores of 62 to 72 in mid June to neutral 50 to 58 by late June.
Fourth, capital return is doing heavy lifting. Visa repurchased roughly 11 million shares at an average price of $342.13 in Q1 FY26, spending $3.8 billion, with $21.1 billion remaining on the authorization as of December 31, 2025. Buybacks flatter EPS – they do not answer whether the interchange model survives the next decade intact.
Bottom Line For long term holders, the question is whether Visa’s payments empire is compounding at the pace the multiple implies. FY2025 said no, as revenue grew 11.34% and net income grew 1.6%.
Now, the company’s Q1 FY26 results suggest Visa’s revenue engine still works, and the litigation and expense drags still bite. Analysts remain constructive with an average target of $398.7, but the stock is lagging the S&P by a wide margin year to date.
The next quarterly filing will show whether the interchange MDL provisions keep landing, and whether Visa’s Value Added Services and stablecoin bridge revenue can outrun the erosion in its core. Until then, the $707 million line item is the one worth watching.

Delta Air Lines v červnovém čtvrtletí zvýšila prémiové tržby o 17 % a loajalitní tržby o 19 %. Zároveň jí rostly náklady: upravené palivové výdaje vyskočily o 77 % meziročně.
Key Takeaways Delta's premium revenue rose 17%, while diverse streams generated 61% of total revenues. DAL's loyalty revenues grew 19%, with American Express remuneration reaching $2.4 billion. Delta Sync seatback spans 400-plus aircraft, while fuel and non-fuel costs remain elevated. Delta Air Lines ((DAL - Free Report) ) sits at the center of several trends shaping airline economics in 2026. Fuel volatility, premium demand, loyalty monetization and technology-driven personalization are all visible in its current setup.
For investors, the issue is how much of Delta’s advantage can translate into durable earnings support. United Airlines Holdings, Inc. ((UAL - Free Report) ) offers a peer comparison because network carriers face similar fuel, capacity and international demand tests. American Airlines Group Inc. ((AAL - Free Report) ) provides another reference point where revenue segmentation and cost control remain central to investor debate.
Delta Shows Premium Travel Staying StrongDelta’s revenue base continues to show that higher-yield travel remains firm. In the June quarter, premium revenue grew 17% year over year, while diverse revenue streams accounted for 61% of total revenues, up 2 points from the prior-year period.
Corporate demand also strengthened. Corporate sales grew double digits across all sectors, and premium corporate sales rose more than 25%, helped by demand for Delta Comfort and Delta Premium Select. That mix matters because airlines are no longer competing only on volume. Carriers with more premium exposure and better customer segmentation may be better positioned to defend revenue quality when fuel spikes or macro conditions become less predictable.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for sales shows year-over-year growth for the third quarter of 2026, fourth quarter of 2026, full-year 2026 and 2027.

DAL Loyalty Model Is Becoming More ValuableDelta’s loyalty ecosystem is becoming a larger part of its investment story. Loyalty and related revenues grew 19% in the June quarter as SkyMiles engagement expanded beyond air travel and deeper into partner activity.
American Express remuneration reached $2.4 billion in the quarter, up 16% year over year. The growth was supported by accelerating card acquisitions and the seventh straight quarter of double-digit growth in cardholder spend.
The value of the model is that it extends Delta’s economics beyond the seat sale. Enhanced travel benefits with American Express, partner activity and higher member engagement can help reduce dependence on purely cyclical airfare demand.
Delta AI Tools Deepen Customer ReachTechnology is becoming part of Delta’s revenue and loyalty strategy. Delta Sync now supports logged-in experiences across onboard channels, giving the company more ways to understand customers and tailor engagement during the trip.
Delta Sync seatback is on more than 400 aircraft, with a log-in rate of more than 40%. Delta Sync Wi-Fi log-in rates are approaching 50%, and about 30% of those customers remain in the platform.
Delta also plans to begin installing Amazon Leo low Earth orbit satellite technology on 500 aircraft starting in 2028. The broader point is not connectivity alone. Better logged-in engagement can improve personalization, retailing and long-term customer value.
DAL Reflects the New Margin BattlegroundDelta’s results also show why airline profitability remains exposed to external shocks. Adjusted fuel expense rose 77% year over year in the June quarter, while adjusted fuel price increased 75% to $3.93 per gallon.
The September-quarter outlook assumes an all-in fuel price of approximately $3.15 per gallon, including a refinery benefit of 5 cents per gallon. The refinery can help offset some pressure, but it does not eliminate fuel risk.
Cost discipline is equally important. Non-fuel cost per available seat mile increased 6.8% year over year in the June quarter, and wage, crew-related and recovery costs remain elevated. Delta is biasing capacity lower to protect margins, underscoring that the industry’s battleground is increasingly about profitability per seat, not just filling aircraft.
Delta Ratings Fit a Trend-Driven StoryThe bottom line is that Delta has several constructive trend signals, but fuel and cost volatility keep the story balanced. Premium demand, loyalty growth and technology-led personalization support revenue durability, while cost inflation limits the margin for error.
DAL currently carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). That ranking fits a stock with favorable business drivers but enough earnings sensitivity to prevent a more decisive near-term signal. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.
The Style Scores are more supportive. DAL has a Value Score of A, Momentum Score of A and VGM Score of A, suggesting attractive value and trading characteristics across the Zacks Style Score framework. Its Growth Score of C tempers the picture, making the stock a trend-positive airline name that still requires discipline around costs, fuel and execution.

The aging of America has made healthcare stocks an evergreen investment theme. It's also a reason for investors to consider looking at real estate investment trusts (REITs) focused on this area. REITs are commonly seen as vehicles for income-oriented investors.
Welltower Inc. NYSE: WELL is a great example. This is the world’s leading residential wellness and healthcare infrastructure company.
Get Welltower alerts:
The company has a portfolio of over 2,500 senior and wellness housing communities spanning the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
As of July 13, Welltower had a market cap of over $165 billion, over $100 billion larger than its closest rival, Ventas Inc. NYSE: VTR.
Senior Housing Demand Is Creating a Powerful Growth TailwindSince being interrupted in 2020 by a global pandemic, demand for senior housing has been surging, making REITs in this sector a solid choice for both growth and income.
WELL is up over 160% in the last five years and has delivered a total return (which includes its dividend) of over 230% in the last three years. There’s likely to be more growth ahead. The percentage of the population aged 80+ is expected to accelerate by a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.4% between 2026 and 2030. That's up from the 1.8% CAGR between 2010 and 2025.
Welltower Inc. (WELL) Price Chart for Monday, July, 13, 2026
This is the shift that patient investors have been waiting on for over a decade. However, with the company having shown such strong growth, it’s fair for investors to wonder if this is a time to buy or wait for a better entry point.
Breaking Down the Numbers Behind Welltower StockIn terms of valuation metrics, REITs have their own language. Two terms matter most for Welltower: net operating income (NOI) and normalized funds from operations (NFFO).
Net Operating Income (NOI) measures how the buildings themselves are performing. Think of it as rent collected minus the cost of running the property (i.e., staff, utilities, maintenance, food service). It excludes corporate overhead, interest payments, and taxes. NOI answers a simple question: Is this real estate portfolio actually making money before any financial engineering happens on top of it?
Welltower's same-store NOI (a comparison using only properties owned during both periods, so acquisitions don't distort the picture) grew 16.4% year-over-year in the first quarter of 2026. The senior housing segment alone grew 22.1%. This marked the 14th straight quarter of 20%-plus growth for that segment.
Normalized funds from operations (NFFO) is the REIT industry's substitute for "earnings per share." Regular net income assumes buildings lose value every year through depreciation, the same way a company would write down aging factory equipment.
But real estate often holds or gains value over time. NFFO adds depreciation back into net income, then strips out one-time items like gains from property sales, so investors can get a fair comparison from quarter to quarter.
Welltower reported NFFO of $1.47 per share in the first quarter, up 23% year-over-year. That's the growth rate management uses to justify the stock's premium. Full-year guidance was also raised, with the midpoint moving to $6.28 per share from $6.17.
REIT investors price the stock against NFFO instead. On that basis, Welltower trades closer to 30-40 times forward earnings, depending on where the stock sits. That's still a premium to healthcare REIT peers in the mid-teens to low-20s. Which means that investors have to be counting on enough growth to justify that premium.
How Housing Trends Could Affect Welltower StockWelltower's bet is that the 80-plus population boom starting later this decade will fill its buildings faster than new supply can be built. But that story assumes seniors will actually move into senior housing when the time comes. Research on aging in America suggests that's a more complicated transition than the demographic charts imply.
A Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies analysis found that most seniors want to age in place, and that the U.S. faces an acute shortage of housing options that let them do it, whether that means staying in an existing home or moving to something smaller within their own community.
That distinction matters. "Aging in place" doesn't automatically mean senior housing—often it means retrofitting a current home or downsizing nearby, not relocating into a managed community.
AARP's 2024 national survey backs this up with numbers: 75% of adults 50 and older want to stay in their current homes as they age, and 73% want to stay in their communities specifically. Cost is the biggest obstacle. Nearly half of respondents expect to move eventually for financial reasons, driven primarily by rising mortgage or rent payments, maintenance costs, and property taxes.
Higher Mortgage Rates Are Slowing Senior Housing MovesMillions of older homeowners are sitting on mortgage rates locked in below 4% from the pandemic-era low-rate window. Selling that home to finance a move into senior housing means giving up a historically cheap mortgage payment for market-rate financing on whatever comes next. Even if the new living arrangement itself doesn't require a mortgage, the psychological and financial "sunk cost" of an ultra-cheap rate makes staying put feel safer.
Roughly half of homeowners with mortgages are sitting on rates far enough below current market levels that moving has become financially irrational. That dynamic has kept existing home sales running near 1990s-era volumes despite full employment and rising household income. It's a market where staying put pays.
However, there are early signs that this is loosening. Real estate agents surveyed in Spring 2026 reported that mortgage rate lock-in is becoming less of a factor in sellers' decisions, with sellers increasingly listing due to life circumstances rather than timing the market. But even an aggressive round of Fed rate cuts would likely leave the rate gap for the median locked-in borrower wider than 200 basis points.
Why Both Bulls and Bears Have a Case on WelltowerFor Welltower, this cuts two ways. The bear case: if seniors and their families delay a move because selling the family home feels like giving up cheap financing, occupancy gains could arrive more slowly than the demographic math implies.
The bull case: once a move becomes unavoidable (e.g., health decline, widowhood, a fall), the lack of affordable, accessible alternative housing pushes more of that unavoidable demand toward professionally operated senior housing rather than a DIY solution like an in-law suite or home retrofit, because those alternatives are themselves scarce and expensive to build.

Caterpillar oznámil, že tržby divize stavební techniky v 1. čtvrtletí 2026 vzrostly meziročně o 38 % na 7,16 miliardy USD. Do roku 2030 chce prodeje koncovým zákazníkům zvýšit na 1,25násobek úrovně z roku 2024.
Key Takeaways Construction Industries delivered $7.16B in Q1 2026 revenues, up 38% year over year.Caterpillar targets 1.25x Construction Industries sales to end users by 2030 vs. 2024. CAT is investing in autonomous equipment, AI-enabled solutions and digital services. Caterpillar Inc.’s (CAT - Free Report) Construction Industries segment generated around $25.1 billion in 2025 sales, accounting for roughly 37% of its total revenues. Its momentum accelerated in the first quarter of 2026, when revenues climbed 38% year over year to $7.16 billion, driven by higher sales volumes and favorable pricing. The segment contributed roughly 41% to the company's total revenues during the quarter.
The company views the segment as its backbone, reflecting more than a century of expertise in construction equipment. While machinery sales continue to drive growth, Caterpillar is increasingly expanding the segment's value proposition through rental offerings, digital capabilities and advanced technology solutions. This strategy aims to generate stronger customer engagement and create recurring revenue opportunities beyond the initial equipment sale.
The segment supports customers using machinery in infrastructure and building construction activities. The segment’s revenues have witnessed a CAGR of 8.2% over 2020-2025 and it serves more than 700,000 customers across more than 190 countries.
Looking ahead, Caterpillar has set a goal of increasing Construction Industries' sales to end users by 1.25 times by 2030 compared with 2024 levels. The company expects more than a 25% increase in global construction spend over 2024-2034.
Caterpillar continues to see attractive opportunities in both mature markets such as North America, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, as well as faster-growing regions across Asia (excluding Japan), Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Eurasia. This balanced geographic footprint allows the company to capitalize on replacement demand in developed markets while benefiting from rising infrastructure investment and urbanization in emerging economies.
Caterpillar’s competitive advantages extend well beyond its product portfolio. Its extensive dealer network, connected equipment base and expanding digital ecosystem enable customers to improve machine utilization, lower operating costs and enhance productivity. The company is investing in autonomous equipment, AI-enabled jobsite solutions, machine automation and operator assistance technologies that improve efficiency and safety. These capabilities should become increasingly valuable as contractors face skilled labor shortages, rising project complexity and pressure to improve productivity.
Overall, the Construction Industries segment appears well-positioned for sustained growth, supported by global infrastructure spending, increasing equipment replacement demand, expanding digital services, autonomous technologies and a growing installed machine base. Although construction equipment demand remains cyclical and can be affected by interest rates and economic slowdowns, Caterpillar's diversified end markets, extensive dealer network, recurring services revenues and technology investments should help the segment deliver resilient performance over the long term.
Its peer, Komatsu Ltd. (KMTUY - Free Report) , is pursuing a similar strategy centered on automation, smart construction and electrification. Komatsu continues to expand its Smart Construction platform, autonomous equipment portfolio and digital services while benefiting from global infrastructure spending and mining investments. Like Caterpillar, the company expects software-enabled solutions and connected equipment to become increasingly important revenue contributors beyond traditional machinery sales.
Another close competitor is Deere & Company (DE - Free Report) , whose Construction & Forestry segment is emphasizing precision construction technologies, machine guidance systems and autonomous capabilities. Deere is investing heavily in digital workflows that improve jobsite efficiency, while also expanding aftermarket and technology-driven recurring revenues. Similar to Caterpillar, Deere views intelligent equipment, connected fleet and software integration as key long-term growth opportunities.

M&T Bank má za 2Q vykázat zisk 4,66 USD na akcii, meziročně o 8,9 % více, a tržby 2,48 miliardy USD, což by podpořil vyšší čistý úrokový výnos a růst úvěrů.
Key Takeaways M&T Bank's Q2'26 earnings are estimated to be $4.66 per share, up 8.9% year over year.Revenues are projected to be $2.48 billion, reflecting 3.4% growth from the prior-year quarter.Higher NII and decent lending activity may support results, while expenses and credit costs remain headwinds. M&T Bank Corporation (MTB - Free Report) is slated to report second-quarter 2026 results on July 15, before the opening bell. The company is expected to have registered year-over-year increases in quarterly revenues and earnings.
In the last reported quarter, the company’s results were supported by higher net interest income (NII) and non-interest income, along with modest loan growth. However, a decline in deposits, higher expenses and increased provisions for credit losses acted as headwinds.
The company has an impressive earnings surprise history. Its earnings surpassed estimates in the trailing four quarters, with an average surprise of 6.7%.
Factors to Influence M&T Bank’s Q2 ResultsLoans & NII: Per the Fed’s latest data, demand for commercial and industrial, real estate and consumer loans was decent in the second quarter of 2026. This is likely to have supported M&T Bank’s lending activity and growth in average interest-earning assets in the to-be-reported period.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for average interest-earning assets is pegged at $194.8 billion, indicating a year-over-year rise of 1.2%.
The Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged in the second quarter of 2026, while noting that economic activity continued to expand at a solid pace despite elevated uncertainty and inflation remaining above its 2% target. Hence, a stable rate environment, along with decent loan demand, is expected to have supported M&T Bank’s NII growth.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for NII (on a tax-equivalent basis) is pegged at $1.79 billion, indicating an increase of 1.8% from the year-ago reported number.
Fee Income: MTB’s average total deposits are expected to have remained relatively stable in the second quarter of 2026. This is expected to have provided some support to revenues from service charges on deposit accounts.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the metric is pegged at $142.3 million, indicating a 2.3% rise from the year-ago quarter’s reported figure.
In the second quarter of 2026, mortgage rates hovered in the mid-6% range, with affordability continuing to weigh on homebuying demand. While purchase activity remained subdued due to elevated borrowing costs and limited housing inventory, refinancing activity improved during the quarter. As a result, M&T Bank's mortgage banking revenues are likely to have received some support.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for mortgage banking revenues is pegged at $129.8 million, indicating a 2.2% rise from the year-ago quarter’s reported level.
The consensus estimate for brokerage services income of $36.1 million indicates a 3% increase from that reported in the second quarter of 2025.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for trust income of $190.3 million indicates a 4% rise from the year-ago quarter’s actual.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for total non-interest income is pegged at $672.8 million, indicating a decline of 2.3% from the year-ago quarter's reported figure.
Expenses: Despite ongoing cost-control initiatives, the company’s expenses are expected to have remained elevated in the second quarter of 2026, reflecting continued investments in strengthening its franchise.
Asset quality: The operating environment continued to remain challenging in the second quarter of 2026, weighed down by persistent geopolitical uncertainty and elevated inflation. Additionally, the Fed’s June policy statement indicated the possibility of a rate hike, which could pressure borrowers’ repayment capacity. Against this backdrop, M&T Bank is expected to have maintained a cautious approach and built higher provisions for potential credit losses in the second quarter of 2026.

Satya Nadella tvrdí, že u AI musí firmy držet data pod vlastní kontrolou; Microsoft to už promítá do produktů jako Agent 365. Firma zároveň uvedla, že její roční běžné tržby z AI přesáhly 37 miliard USD, meziročně o 123 %.
Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT | MSFT Price Prediction) CEO Satya Nadella published an X essay titled “The Reverse Information Paradox” that has become one of the most-discussed pieces of AI strategy writing of the year. His argument reframes what enterprises buy when adopting frontier AI and points investors toward companies that help customers keep data inside their own walls.
Nadella starts with economist Kenneth Arrow’s classic Information Paradox: a seller of knowledge risks giving it away by describing what’s for sale. He argues AI inverts that setup: the buyer now pays twice, once in dollars and again in the proprietary know-how they must reveal to make a model useful. Prompts, tool calls, corrections, and evals become training exhaust that leaks institutional expertise to whoever owns the learning infrastructure.
His prescription is a hard enterprise trust boundary, with customers owning their data, traces, evals, adapted weights, and memory. The framework he offers runs on five words: Control, Capability, Choice, Cost, and Compound, with the orchestration layer decoupled from any single model. That’s a clear invitation to look at Microsoft, Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ:PLTR), and Snowflake (NYSE:SNOW).
Microsoft: Selling the Shovels and the Fence Microsoft stock has struggled in 2026 and is down 19% year to date (YTD), with shares recently at $392.68. Yet, the underlying AI business keeps scaling: Nadella disclosed that Microsoft’s AI annual revenue run rate surpassed $37 billion, up 123% year over year, with commercial remaining performance obligations of $627 billion.
On Microsoft’s Q3 FY2026 call, Nadella described Agent 365 as “a control plane that extends companies’ existing governance, identity, security, and management frameworks to agents.” That’s the same trust-boundary language from the X essay, productized. Microsoft plans roughly $190 billion in calendar 2026 CapEx.
Investors can note the tension: Nadella benefits from framing the trade this way. Microsoft’s deep OpenAI partnership also means it sits on the other side of this critique.
Palantir: Owning the Means of Production Nadella explicitly quotes Palantir CEO Alex Karp in the essay: “What the technical customers want is control over their compute, their models, their data stack, and their alpha. They want to know they own the means of production, and it’s not being transferred to someone else.” Palantir’s AIP is built around that pitch: keep the customer’s data, ontology, and workflows inside the customer’s boundary.

The numbers back the momentum. Palantir Technologies’ Q1 FY2026 revenue grew 85% year over year to $1.63 billion, U.S. commercial revenue jumped 133%, and the Rule of 40 score hit 145%. Palantir stock is down 29% YTD, so the valuation reset has been sharp even as fundamentals accelerate.
Snowflake: The Governed Data Layer Snowflake positions itself as the neutral data foundation enterprises can build agents on without shipping context to a model vendor. On the Q1 FY2027 call, Snowflake CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy stated that “With Cortex Code and Snowflake Intelligence, we are extending from the trusted foundation for enterprise data and context to become the control plane for the Agentic Enterprise.”
The uptake looks real. Snowflake’s product revenue rose 34% year over year to $1.33 billion, net revenue retention held at 126%, and 13,600+ accounts now use Snowflake AI capabilities. Snowflake shares are up 24% YTD, making it the standout performer of the three stocks.
How to Position Around the Thesis Nadella’s essay is both intellectually serious and, most likely, commercially motivated. His argument that value should accrue to knowledge creators rather than infrastructure owners is compelling and neatly describes products Microsoft already sells.
For investors drawn to the data-sovereignty theme, Microsoft stock offers scale and cash flow, Palantir stock offers the purest operational-AI expression, and Snowflake stock offers the governance layer beneath both. All three carry rich multiples relative to broader software, so this is a positioning call rather than a valuation bargain.
Investors could watch upcoming earnings from all three names for confirmation that agentic workloads keep compounding. The next Microsoft earnings report may show whether the “reverse paradox” framing is turning into billable revenue or remains a well-crafted narrative.

The agency assigned a Prescription Drug User Fee Act target action date of May 13, 2027, with the filing supported by positive Phase 3 SUCCESSOR-2 trial results.
• Bristol-Myers Squibb stock is building positive momentum. Why are BMY shares climbing?
FDA Accepts Mezigdomide ApplicationMezigdomide is an oral cereblon E3 ligase modulator (CELMoD), being developed to treat multiple myeloma.
The NDA seeks approval of the combination regimen, known as MeziKd, for patients with relapsed or refractory disease.
He noted Bristol Myers Squibb now has two separate agents under FDA review for relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma, adding that the company continues to advance its CELMoD pipeline across blood cancers and solid tumors.
Phase 3 SUCCESSOR-2 Trial ResultsThe NDA is based on data from the Phase 3 SUCCESSOR-2 study, which evaluated MeziKd against the standard regimen of carfilzomib and dexamethasone (Kd).
According to the company, the combination delivered a clinically meaningful and statistically significant improvement in progression-free survival.
Median progression-free survival reached 18.0 months compared with 8.3 months for the control arm, translating to a 52% reduction in the risk of disease progression or death (HR: 0.48).
The benefit was observed in patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma, including those receiving treatment after a prior anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody and lenalidomide.
Safety Profile and Next StepsBristol Myers Squibb said the safety profile of MeziKd was consistent with findings from previous mezigdomide studies and aligned with the known safety profiles of the individual medicines included in the regimen.
The company also acknowledged the patients and investigators who participated in the Phase 3 SUCCESSOR-2 trial.
BMY Stock Price Activity: Bristol-Myers Squibb shares were up 2.29% at $58.90 at the time of publication on Monday, according to Benzinga Pro data.

Samsung oznámil meziroční 19násobný skok provozního zisku ve 2. čtvrtletí, přesto jeho akcie od předběžných výsledků hospodaření ze 7. července klesly o 20 %.
Samsung is one of the most important memory manufacturers in the world, as evidenced by its market share in the dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) and NAND flash storage markets.
Counterpoint Research notes that Samsung dominates both these memory niches. It is the top vendor of NAND flash memory, with a market share of 29%, and enjoys a similar position in the global DRAM market, with a 38% share. This massive dominance translated into a phenomenal 19x year-over-year increase in Samsung's second-quarter operating profit when it released its preliminary report last week.
However, Samsung stock has dropped 20% since releasing its preliminary report on July 7. What's more, Samsung's pullback has also created concerns about the prospects of high-flying chipmaker Micron Technology (MU 5.33%). Let's see why that has been the case.
Samsung's results indicate that investors are expecting bigger beats from memory manufacturers Though Samsung's sales more than doubled year over year and its operating profit was higher than analysts' expectations, it looks like the market was expecting a bigger jump. Additionally, analysts are expecting a gradual slowdown in memory price growth. According to Citi Research, the price of DRAM and NAND flash jumped by 44% and 53%, respectively, on a sequential basis in Q2.
For comparison, the sequential price growth was much stronger in Q1, with DRAM average selling price (ASP) rising in the mid-60% range and NAND flash ASP increasing in the mid-70% range, according to SK Hynix. This slower increase in memory prices last quarter is the reason why Samsung's earnings beat wasn't bigger, and that's bad news for Micron investors.
Micron stock has slipped 19% from the 52-week high it reached last month. Even record results for the third quarter of fiscal 2026 (which ended May 28), which Micron released on June 24, haven't been enough to arrest the stock's slide. What's worth noting is that Micron's earnings jumped by a whopping 13x year over year in the previous quarter to $25.11 per share.

Its guidance of $31.00 in earnings per share for the current quarter points to a potential year-over-year jump of more than 10x. That would represent a smaller increase from the earnings growth Micron reported last quarter, but it is still phenomenal. Clearly, Micron's performance is solid enough to warrant further upside in its stock price. However, that hasn't been the case recently, which is why investors may be wondering whether they should start booking profits.
Micron's phenomenal growth warrants a higher valuation There is no harm in expecting a bigger earnings beat from memory makers like Micron, especially considering the favorable demand-supply dynamics in this market. After all, memory has proved to be a key bottleneck in AI infrastructure, which is why the demand for these chips is predicted to significantly exceed supply until 2030.
However, the market isn't rewarding Micron with a valuation that reflects its exponential earnings growth and terrific potential. It trades at just 22 times earnings, lower than the S&P 500 index's earnings multiple of 25.4. However, Micron's earnings are growing significantly faster than the S&P 500's.
Specifically, S&P 500 companies are expected to deliver average earnings growth of 24% this year and 18% next year. Micron's earnings, meanwhile, are forecasted to grow at a significantly stronger pace.
Data by YCharts
So, Micron needs to be rewarded with a higher earnings multiple, ideally paving the way for further upside in this AI stock. That's why it would be a good idea to continue holding Micron shares, or even buy more, given that it has become a more attractive investment following the recent pullback.
Bank of America čeká, že NVIDIA, Micron, Broadcom a Applied Materials vytvoří za 12 měsíců rekordní volné cash flow 430 miliard USD. U Amazonu, Alphabetu, Meta, Microsoftu a Oracle má poprvé v historii přejít do záporu.
Two chip names are absorbing the capex dollars that hyperscalers are hemorrhaging: NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA | NVDA Price Prediction) and Micron Technology (NASDAQ:MU). Which one better fits a retirement-focused portfolio right now?
Bank of America projects that NVIDIA, Micron, Broadcom, and Applied Materials will generate a record $430 billion in combined free cash flow over the next 12 months, more than triple what they produced two years ago. Meanwhile the combined FCF of Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL), Meta (Nasdaq: META), Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), and Oracle (Nasdaq: ORCL) is projected to turn negative for the first time on record, reversing a +$260 billion peak in 2024. The cash is moving. The question is which chipmaker deserves the retirement dollar.
Growth Trajectory: Micron Has the Hotter Hand Micron’s most recent quarter shattered every expectation. Revenue hit $41.46 billion versus a $35.25 billion estimate, and diluted EPS of $25.11 crushed the $20.28 consensus. Revenue rose 345.7% year over year off a $9.30 billion base. Guidance for the next quarter calls for $50 billion, +/- $1 billion, in revenue and roughly 86% gross margin.
NVIDIA is still growing at scale most companies would envy. Q1 FY27 revenue hit $81.61 billion, up 85.2% year over year, and diluted EPS of $1.87 versus a $1.77 estimate. Impressive, but the growth rate is decelerating while Micron’s is exploding.
Valuation: Micron Looks Cheaper NVIDIA trades at a trailing P/E of 32 and a forward P/E of 24, with a PEG of 0.649. Rich for a $5 trillion market cap company, though defensible given the growth.
Micron is priced like the market does not believe the earnings will last. Trailing P/E is 22, and the forward multiple sits at just 6x with a PEG of 0.144. Analyst target price of $1,486 versus a recent $979 quote implies significant upside. On paper, this is the cheaper stock by a wide margin.
Strength and Risk: NVIDIA Wins by a Landslide This is where a retirement portfolio lives or dies. As of early 2026, NVIDIA runs a 71.07% gross margin, 60.38% operating margin, and 101.5% return on equity, with interest coverage of 503x and a debt/equity ratio of 0.073. The company’s CUDA platform software stack is a genuine moat. Jensen Huang described the setup plainly: “AI is growing faster and will be larger than any platform shifts before, including the Internet, mobile, and cloud.”
Micron’s latest gross margin is extraordinary by memory-industry standards, with fiscal Q3 gross margin above an impressive 84% and fiscal Q4 guidance near 86%. Those are elite numbers, but they are also peak-cycle numbers in a historically brutal commodity business. Memory pricing does not move in a straight line forever. The 683.4% one-year return is thrilling and terrifying in equal measure. NVIDIA’s 24.43% one-year gain looks pedestrian by comparison, but the underlying business is less cyclical and supported by a deeper software moat.
The Verdict For a retirement-focused investor, NVIDIA wins. The combination of a software moat, structurally elite margins, a fortress balance sheet, and an $80 billion buyback authorization makes it the more appropriate holding for capital that cannot afford a memory downcycle. NVIDIA is the compounder. (Investors mapping the broader AI supply chain can review our AI Power Seven report for the picks-and-shovels names positioned alongside it.)
Micron wins for a different investor: someone in accumulation mode, comfortable with cyclicality, and willing to trade volatility for one of the cheapest forward multiples in large-cap tech. If HBM4 demand holds through 2027 as Sanjay Mehrotra guided, Micron could re-rate sharply higher. If hyperscaler CapEx blinks, Micron falls first and hardest. That is a growth trade, not a retirement anchor.
NVIDIA fits the retirement account profile. Micron suits investors who can stomach the ride.
