Shares of data infrastructure chip designer Marvell Technology (MRVL +7.30%) hit a record high of about $330 on Thursday before easing to close up roughly 7%, near $311. The move also came as one Wall Street analyst raised their 12-month price target for the stock from $260 to $385, citing the company's optical-networking opportunity. The stock has now more than tripled in 2026.
What's unusual is that one possible spark had little to do with anything Marvell itself announced. It came from a report about what Amazon (AMZN +3.01%) might do with a line of chips that Marvell helps design.
Bloomberg reported that Amazon Web Services, the company's cloud computing arm, is in early talks to sell its custom Trainium artificial intelligence (AI) chips directly to outside companies for use in their own data centers. Until now, Trainium has been available only to customers renting computing power through AWS. Opening it up would mark a significant shift -- and another challenge to Nvidia, whose graphics processing units (GPUs) still anchor most AI computing.
So why would a potential move involving Amazon's chips push a different company's stock to a new high?

A wider market for custom silicon Marvell has been one of the key partners helping Amazon design Trainium, and that work sits inside the part of Marvell that matters most right now. The company's data center revenue reached about $1.83 billion in its fiscal first quarter of 2027 (the period ended May 2, 2026), up 27% year over year and about 76% of total revenue. Overall revenue hit a record $2.4 billion, up 28%, and management guided for fiscal second-quarter revenue of about $2.7 billion, or roughly 35% growth.
CEO Matt Murphy said the company raised its revenue outlook for both fiscal 2027 and fiscal 2028 on the strength of what he called exceptional AI-related bookings. Demand was running hot well before this week's news.
A report that AWS might sell Trainium beyond its own cloud points to even more of it. Amazon's AI chief, Peter DeSantis, said the current generation of the chip is largely sold out, and he framed selling it externally as a way to reach more customers rather than cut into AWS.
"We view AI infrastructure as rapidly evolving. And we're constantly looking at ways to get to more customers," DeSantis said in an interview with Bloomberg.
The more Trainium chips that get built and sold, the larger the pool of custom-silicon work Marvell can supply. And the company also makes the high-speed optics and networking gear that ties thousands of these chips into a single AI system.

What the record high leaves out A bigger Trainium market, though, doesn't automatically mean a bigger Marvell. While Marvell helped design an earlier generation of Trainium, reports suggest Amazon has handed the design work on the newer Trainium3 and Trainium4 chips to a Taiwanese rival, Alchip Technologies -- a shift neither company has confirmed.
Adding to the risk is valuation. Marvell's forward price-to-earnings ratio sits at about 70 -- a level that already prices in years of strong growth and leaves little cushion for any unexpected detours.
So is the stock a buy here? I don't think so.
Yes, Marvell sits in the middle of an attractive corner of the AI build-out, and a broader market for Amazon's chips would likely help it. And yes, it is scheduled to be added to the S&P 500 on June 22. But it's unclear how much of the Trainium work it will actually keep. And with Marvell stock's valuation priced for near perfection, the decision is particularly hard.
If shares fell sharply or if sales growth accelerates further, I may reconsider. For now, however, too much optimism seems priced in for me to get on board.
Last month, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang praised Marvell Technology (MRVL +7.30%) during a speech at the Computex conference in Taipei. During a discussion with Marvell's CEO, Matt Murphy, Huang said that Marvell will be the next semiconductor stock to reach a trillion-dollar valuation.
These statements alone sent Marvell's stock parabolic in the ensuing trading sessions. But adding further positive momentum was the announcement that Marvell would join the S&P 500 (^GSPC +1.08%) on June 22.
Despite all the good news, Marvell CFO Willem Meintjes just filed to sell a substantial amount of stock. Smart investors are asking what this transaction could signal for shareholders.

Why do insiders and executives sell stock? Insiders at public companies frequently trim their equity for personal and financial reasons. These can include rebalancing investment portfolios, meeting liquidity needs for family or lifestyle purposes, or funding retirement goals.
Often, insider sales occur through prearranged Rule 10b5-1 plans. These are designed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to allow orderly transactions while complying with securities regulations -- removing the appearance of trading on material nonpublic information.
Why is Marvell's CFO selling stock? According to Form 144 filings from June 15, Marvell's CFO filed to sell approximately 211,000 shares of stock. Using Marvell's closing price of $308.88 on that same day, Meintjes' planned stock sale is estimated to be worth around $65 million.
Here's the piece most investors are probably overlooking: Meintjes' stock transaction coincides with a planned leadership shift at Marvell. On June 11, the company announced that Meintjes will step down as CFO after 10 years in the role. Dan Durn, former CFO of Adobe, is assuming the CFO role at Marvell, effective in mid-June.

Transitions within the C-suite are not uncommon at growing technology companies. All told, Marvell continues to benefit from powerful tailwinds -- specifically from rising adoption of custom silicon. The outgoing CFO's planned stock sale is typical behavior driven by personal and governance planning.
Therefore, with an experienced successor already in place and the core chip business thriving amid favorable artificial intelligence (AI)-driven market conditions, the proposed stock sale from Meintjes does not indicate underlying problems at Marvell or warrant investor concern.

Marvell Technology (MRVL +7.30%) already had a good start to the year as more investors noticed its ASIC chips and optical interconnects. Then, Nvidia (NVDA +3.08%) CEO Jensen Huang put this AI stock on everyone's radar by declaring it would be the next trillion-dollar company.
The stock unsurprisingly took off on that news and has more than tripled year to date. Is the rally here to stay, or should investors lock in some of their gains now?
Here's what people should consider as Marvell Technology continues its rally.
Marvell Technology hinted at meaningful long-term growth High growth rates are a prerequisite for outperforming the S&P 500 over the long run, and Marvell Technology has been delivering on that regard. It posted 28% year-over-year revenue growth in its fiscal 2027 first quarter, but that wasn't the most exciting part about the earnings report.
Guidance implies $2.7 billion in Q2 FY27 revenue, which represents 35% year-over-year growth and 11.7% sequential growth. Marvell Technology CEO Matt Murphy also told investors to expect accelerated revenue growth each quarter throughout fiscal 2027. This optimistic outlook isn't even exclusive to fiscal 2027.
"We are seeing exceptional AI-related bookings, and as a result, we are significantly raising Marvell's revenue outlook for both fiscal 2027 and fiscal 2028 compared with the guidance we provided last quarter," Murphy said.
That's the type of guidance that suggests a $1 trillion valuation is possible in the future, but other AI stocks may get there first. AI stocks like Advanced Micro Devices and Sandisk are closer to the milestone and are exhibiting higher revenue growth rates right now. Luckily, the optimistic guidance from Marvell Technology isn't the only bullish development.

The Teralynx T100 makes AI data centers more efficient Marvell Technology issued a press release earlier this month that heralded the Teralynx T100 as a networking chip that delivers 25% lower power than competitive solutions and achieves the industry's lowest latency for AI training and inference workloads.
This is one of Marvell Technology's AI products that is designed to optimize data centers. This one ensures less energy is consumed for the same tasks, and with energy in such high demand, optimizing the use of existing energy is extremely desirable. Since this product line was just upgraded, the Teralynx T100 can be a major part of future earnings results.
This product goes along nicely with Marvell Technology's product portfolio of ASIC chips and optical fibers. More product innovations will help the company keep its competitive edge and gain more market share.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang made waves recently when he called Marvell Technology (MRVL +7.30%) the next trillion-dollar semiconductor stock. Nvidia took a $2 billion stake in Marvell earlier this year and formed a partnership to make it easier for Marvell's custom chip customers, such as Amazon, to integrate their chips into Nvidia's ecosystem via NVLink Fusion.

Marvell has a strong custom chip business, with Amazon as its lead customer. However, there is wide speculation that it is set to lose the lead role in future iterations of its Trainium chips to Taiwanese semiconductor company AIchip. It's also helping Microsoft with its new Maia artificial intelligence (AI) accelerator. But the most exciting part of its business is optical interconnects, which are replacing copper wires within data centers and becoming more important as AI data centers need faster connectivity.

Marvell is growing quickly and expects revenue to climb 40% this year to $11.5 billion, with interconnect revenue soaring 70%. However, with a market cap below $250 billion and a frothy forward P/E of nearly 70 times, it will need to see some tremendous growth to hit a $1 trillion market cap in the coming years.
Let's look at two semiconductor stocks that have a much more realistic chance of getting there before Marvell.
1. AMD With a market cap of over $865 billion, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD +5.27%) is only about a 15.6% move upward from becoming a $1 trillion stock, and it looks like it has plenty of room to run.
AMD is riding two powerful market trends right now: inference and agentic AI. While the company has always taken a back seat to Nvidia with AI model training, its graphics processing units (GPUs) are well-suited for inference. Inference tends to be much more constrained by memory than compute power, and AMD's chiplet design lets it pack in more memory in its chips.
Meanwhile, AMD just announced the acquisition of AI memory-optimization company MEXT, which offers technology that can offload data to idle flash memory and then transfer it back to DRAM (dynamic random-access memory) before it's needed. This effectively increases memory capacity while dramatically lowering memory costs.

At the same time, AMD also has a significant opportunity in agentic AI, which will require more central processing units (CPUs) to handle the sequential reasoning required by AI agents. With the rise of agentic AI, the GPU-to-CPU ratio within data centers is expected to go from 8:1 for training to 1:1 for servers dedicated to AI agents.
AMD is a leader in the data center CPU market, which it sees growing to $120 billion over the next few years. Its new Venice architecture, meanwhile, is specifically designed to handle the high-performance needs of AI agents.
Given the trends AMD is riding, it would not be surprising if the stock reaches a $1 trillion market cap before the end of the year.
2. ASML Another semiconductor company that looks set to reach a $1 trillion market cap is ASML (ASML +3.47%). The semiconductor equipment manufacturer currently has a market cap of around $710 billion, so it's about a 40% move upward to meet this goal.
While it's not a household name, ASML is arguably the most important company in the world. It has a monopoly on extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV) technology, which foundries like Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing use to make advanced chips. Without its systems, there would be no AI boom, or even the smartphone you're holding in your hand.

ASML is currently riding both the AI chip wave and the memory boom, as the big memory makers also use its machines to make high-bandwidth memory (HBM) that needs to be packaged with GPUs and other AI chips to optimize their performance. With capacity for both AI chips and memory increasing, ASML's EUV machines should remain in high demand well into the future. It has also developed a newer technology, High NA (High Numerical Aperture) EUV, which could eventually become the industry standard.
Given how essential ASML is in the semiconductor industry and the trends working in its favor, this is a company that will likely hit a $1 trillion market cap in the coming years.
Investors interested in stocks from the Beverages - Soft drinks sector have probably already heard of Fomento Economico (FMX - Free Report) and Monster Beverage (MNST - Free Report) . But which of these two stocks offers value investors a better bang for their buck right now? We'll need to take a closer look.
We have found that the best way to discover great value opportunities is to pair a strong Zacks Rank with a great grade in the Value category of our Style Scores system. The Zacks Rank favors stocks with strong earnings estimate revision trends, and our Style Scores highlight companies with specific traits.
Right now, Fomento Economico is sporting a Zacks Rank of #1 (Strong Buy), while Monster Beverage has a Zacks Rank of #3 (Hold). This means that FMX's earnings estimate revision activity has been more impressive, so investors should feel comfortable with its improving analyst outlook. But this is just one factor that value investors are interested in.
Value investors also tend to look at a number of traditional, tried-and-true figures to help them find stocks that they believe are undervalued at their current share price levels.
The Value category of the Style Scores system identifies undervalued companies by looking at a number of key metrics. These include the long-favored P/E ratio, P/S ratio, earnings yield, cash flow per share, and a variety of other fundamentals that help us determine a company's fair value.
FMX currently has a forward P/E ratio of 21.98, while MNST has a forward P/E of 40.19. We also note that FMX has a PEG ratio of 0.73. This popular figure is similar to the widely-used P/E ratio, but the PEG ratio also considers a company's expected EPS growth rate. MNST currently has a PEG ratio of 3.06.
Another notable valuation metric for FMX is its P/B ratio of 2.62. Investors use the P/B ratio to look at a stock's market value versus its book value, which is defined as total assets minus total liabilities. By comparison, MNST has a P/B of 10.41.
These metrics, and several others, help FMX earn a Value grade of B, while MNST has been given a Value grade of F.
FMX stands above MNST thanks to its solid earnings outlook, and based on these valuation figures, we also feel that FMX is the superior value option right now.

The GLP-1 revolution is quietly continuing even as investor interest has moved on to more timely topics. One of the best ways to access the fast-growing weight loss drug space is via makers like Novo Nordisk NYSE: NVO or Eli Lilly NYSE: LLY, the leading companies responsible for developing and manufacturing products like Ozempic and Zepbound.
There are, of course, less direct ways that investors can benefit from the GLP-1 rush as well. The prospect of the market tripling in size in the coming years has enticed a host of other drug developers to work toward their own offerings, and a number of up-and-coming pharma firms may be worth watching—or investors can look at dedicated exchange-traded funds (ETFs) like the Roundhill GLP-1 & Weight Loss ETF NASDAQ: OZEM for a broader view.

Teladoc Health NYSE: TDOC operates a telehealth platform that provides patients with virtual care services related to obesity management and metabolic health, among other services.
These areas of Teladoc's business, along with GLP-1 prescription initiation, are growing particularly rapidly. The company simply makes it as easy as possible for qualified patients to gain access to GLP-1 treatment, which can be a game-changer for those without convenient access to in-person specialists.
This has had a real impact on Teladoc's results. In Q1 2026, for instance, the firm beat revenue expectations by about $3 million at $614 million, and adjusted EBITDA of $58 million also came in ahead of guidance. Visit-based care is being enhanced by AI-enabled 24/7 offerings that will likely be a sales and margin driver throughout the rest of this year at least.

Care providers may increasingly view CGMs and GLP-1s as a combined solution for patients with diabetes. CGMs have long been associated with insulin treatments, but the rapid expansion of GLP-1s outside of the population of patients with diabetes has the potential to open up monitoring needs for those interested in tracking glucose trends even if they are not also using insulin. DexCom has responded by launching over-the-counter products for a wider patient population.
Overall, more individuals gaining awareness of metabolic health and an interest in monitoring their own glucose levels could mean a surge in business for DexCom. This may contribute to DexCom's strong popularity among analysts: the stock has 22 Buy ratings compared to three Holds and one Sell, alongside 17% in predicted upside potential.

Key Takeaways KDP's Q1 net sales rose 8.1%, with volume/mix adding 2.6% and pricing contributing 5.5%.U.S. Refreshment Beverages sales grew 11.9%, led by 7.2% volume/mix growth and 4.7% pricing.Innovation, distribution gains and marketing are supporting demand across beverages and energy products. Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP - Free Report) delivered an encouraging start to 2026, with first-quarter results highlighting resilient consumer demand across several key categories. While pricing remained an important contributor to growth amid an inflationary environment, the company also benefited from healthy volume/mix trends, particularly in its U.S. Refreshment Beverages business. The performance raises an important question for investors: Is KDP's growth increasingly being driven by underlying demand rather than pricing actions alone?
The numbers suggest that demand is playing a meaningful role. First-quarter net sales increased 8.1% year over year, with net price realization contributing 5.5% and volume/mix contributing 2.6% to growth. The standout performer was the U.S. Refreshment Beverages segment, where net sales grew 11.9%, supported by 7.2% volume/mix growth and 4.7% growth from pricing actions. Management highlighted strong momentum in carbonated soft drinks, energy drinks and sports hydration products. Meanwhile, Dr Pepper's regular, diet and zero-sugar offerings collectively gained market share during the quarter, underscoring healthy underlying consumer demand.
KDP's ability to generate volume growth despite higher prices reflects the strength of its brand portfolio and innovation pipeline. Products such as Canada Dry Fruit Splash, Dr Pepper Creamy Coconut, Bloom Pop prebiotic sodas and the company's expanding energy portfolio led by GHOST and Bloom are helping attract new consumers and drive incremental purchases. Distribution gains, effective point-of-sale execution and increased marketing investments are also supporting demand. Notably, management indicated that SNAP-related impacts have remained manageable, while category volumes across carbonated soft drinks and broader liquid refreshment beverages have stayed positive.
Looking ahead, KDP expects pricing to remain a contributor, but management believes strong consumer engagement, innovation and distribution expansion will continue supporting healthy volume trends. Although overall sales growth may moderate from the elevated first-quarter level, the company expects U.S. Refreshment Beverages to remain an outsized growth driver throughout 2026. If KDP can sustain positive volume/mix growth while maintaining pricing discipline, it could signal that the company's growth story is increasingly rooted in demand strength rather than inflation-driven price increases alone.
Keurig Dr Pepper’s Zacks Rank & Share Price PerformanceShares of this Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) company have gained 15.7% in the past three months, outperforming both the industry and the broader Consumer Staples sector, which have grown 7.8% and 5%, respectively.

In 2026, the market has been a test of patience. Last year, tariffs raised the average U.S. consumer goods price by more than 3% into this year. Consumer sentiment has stayed stuck near its lowest levels since the pandemic. The Federal Reserve won't cut rates until inflation proves it's gone, and every strong jobs report is treated like a threat.
If you have $1,000 sitting on the sidelines right now, that uncertainty is not a reason to stay out of the market. It's a reason to be deliberate about where you go in.
These consumer companies are simple businesses that sell products people buy, regardless of what the Fed does -- items like toothpaste, snacks, energy drinks, and Tylenol. That kind of predictability is exactly what $1,000 should be doing right now.

1. Church & Dwight Church & Dwight (CHD 1.83%) is one of the most quietly durable consumer staples companies in the market. Its brand portfolio -- Arm & Hammer, OxiClean, Waterpik, TheraBreath, and Trojan -- spans categories that face virtually no trade-down risk.
The company beat its first quarter 2026 guidance, posting organic sales growth of 5% against a forecast of 3%, driven entirely by volume rather than price increases. That distinction matters when the noise is all about tariff-driven inflation. Church & Dwight grew by selling more, not by charging more.
In May, Church & Dwight acquired Miss Mouth's Messy Eater -- a fast-growing stain-removal brand -- for $325 million, continuing a decade-long pattern of bolt-on acquisitions that expand market share without over-leveraging the balance sheet.
The risk here is that the stock rarely looks cheap. Church & Dwight trades at a premium valuation that assumes consistent execution, and any organic growth slowdown is punished. But for a $1,000 allocation into an uncertain market, a company that compounds through volume growth is a reasonable foundation.

2. Keurig Dr Pepper Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP 0.42%) has one of the stranger market stories of 2026. The stock is down nearly 29% from its 2025 peak despite the company beating revenue estimates in four straight quarters.
The noise around Keurig Dr Pepper is that the coffee platform is mature and the core soda business is slow. What's getting missed is the energy drink portfolio. The company now owns Ghost, C4, Venom, and Black Rifle Energy -- a collection of high-growth, Gen Z-targeted brands that are taking shares from competitors.
The company expects well over $1 billion in annual retail sales from that energy portfolio and reaffirmed its 2026 guidance for low-double-digit adjusted earnings growth despite macro noise. The dividend yield near current prices is also meaningful, giving investors something to collect while they wait.

3. Kenvue Kenvue (KVUE +0.61%) is the consumer health spinoff from Johnson & Johnson that most retail investors still treat as an afterthought. That's changing. Its skin health and beauty division grew 8.4% in Q1 2026, bringing quarterly sales to $1 billion. Brands like Neutrogena, Aveeno, Listerine, and Tylenol are the kinds of products that recessions don't eliminate -- they're medicine-cabinet staples that consumers buy on autopilot.
The larger story is the pending combination with Kimberly-Clark (KMB +1.07%), expected to close in the second half of 2026. That merger will create one of the largest consumer health and personal care platforms in the world.
The noise is that integration risk exists, and the valuation reflects uncertainty about the deal. That's fair. But the underlying brands are sound, and the combined entity will have pricing power and distribution scale that neither company has on its own.

None of these three companies will double in a year. That's not really the point. But, when the market is uncertain, the goal of a $1,000 allocation isn't to swing for the fences -- it's to own businesses that keep running while everyone else panics. These do that.

AB SCIENCE PATENT FOR MASITINIB IN THE TREATMENT OF METASTATIC CASTRATE RESISTANT PROSTATE CANCER FORMALLY GRANTED IN THE UNITED STATES WITH A PROTECTION UNTIL 2042
THIS POSITIVE DECISION FROM THE USA PATENT OFFICE ADDS TO THE COVERAGE ALREADY GRANTED IN EUROPE
Paris, June 17, 2026, 6pm CET
AB Science SA (Euronext - FR0010557264 - AB) today announced that the United States Patent Office has formally granted a patent for methods of treating metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) with its lead compound masitinib. This new US patent (US 12,648,944) ensures intellectual property protection for masitinib until May 2042.
This new US patent adds to the IP coverage already granted in Europe (EP4175639).
Counterpart patent applications have also been filed in other major international markets.
Masitinib positioning in metastatic prostate cancer after failure to hormone therapy
In metastatic prostate cancer, patients take hormone therapies (i.e., androgen-deprivation therapy) in first line and second line. Then when metastatic cancer advances patients have to be treated by chemotherapy. There is only one chemotherapy registered, docetaxel, and no drug in combination with docetaxel or replacement of docetaxel has improved PFS or OS and has been registered for the last 20 years.
Masitinib is positioned in combination with docetaxel as a treatment of mCRPC patients who are eligible to chemotherapy. That is to say, it is administered directly following the metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) treatment space.
Masitinib is one of the rare drugs to have generated positive data on progression free survival (PFS) in combination with docetaxel in this population.
Masitinib positioning in mCRPC with low metastatic involvement measured by a biomarker
More specifically, this patent provides protection for masitinib and related compounds for the treatment of mCRPC in a patient subpopulation with low metastatic involvement (as measured by baseline alkaline phosphatase levels).
This patient population is fully consistent with the results of the masitinib study AB12003 [1] and the ongoing clinical development program of masitinib in mCRPC.
As a reminder, the key results from study AB12003 include:
Masitinib (6.0 mg/kg/day) plus docetaxel conferred a significant progression-free survival (PFS) benefit in mCRPC patients with baseline alkaline phosphatase levels (ALP) less than or equal to 250 IU/L; hazard ratio of 0.79 [0.64,0.97] (p=0.0087), corresponding to a 21% reduction in risk of progression relative to control. Assessment of PFS rates was convergent with this primary outcome, with 12-, 18-, and 24-month PFS rates showing significant improvement in favor of masitinib plus docetaxel relative to the control: 1.6-fold (p=0.0035), 1.9-fold (p=0.0001), and 1.9-fold (p=0.0028), respectively. A progressively greater masitinib treatment effect was observed for lower baseline ALP levels (i.e., less advanced metastatic disease), with a significant 47% reduced risk of progression in patients with ALP less than or equal to 100 IU/L (hazard ratio=0.53, p=0.002). The safety profile of masitinib plus docetaxel was acceptable and consistent with the known masitinib profile, with no new safety signals observed. Unmet medical need in mCRPC
Although localized disease is associated with high survival rates, metastatic prostate cancer still represents an unmet medical need with a 5-years survival rate of approximately 32% [2]. Practically all patients with metastatic disease become resistant to androgen-deprivation therapy.
With 1.5 million new cases and 397,000 deaths worldwide, prostate cancer is the world’s second most frequent cancer and the fifth leading cause of cancer death among men [3]. It is estimated that there are at least 3.5 million men living with prostate cancer in the United States [4] and 2.5 million in Europe [5]. Approximately 2% of all prostate cancer cases are mCRPC [6], and practically all patients with metastatic disease will become resistant to androgen-deprivation therapy. As such, the population with mCRPC eligible to chemotherapy is around 50,000 in the EU and 70,000 in the USA.

About study AB12003
Study AB12003 was a prospective, placebo-controlled, double-blind, randomized, phase 3 trial that evaluated masitinib (6.0 mg/kg/d) in combination with docetaxel (IV 75 mg/m² plus prednisone for up to 10 cycles) as a first-line treatment for metastatic castrate-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Eligible patients were chemotherapy-naïve with confirmed mCRCP, had progressed on previous abiraterone treatment or were indicated for docetaxel treatment, and had an ECOG performance status score of ≤1. Primary analysis was performed on a pre-specified targeted subgroup, defined as patients with baseline alkaline phosphatase (ALP) levels ≤250 IU/L, and on the overall population. The primary endpoint was progression-free survival (PFS) (PCWG2 definition). The study was successful if the improvement in median PFS relative to the control reached a 3.9% level of significance for the target subgroup (alpha split with fallback procedure to conserve the overall type-I error at 5% for the overall study cohort). The primary analysis was based on 450 patients in the targeted subgroup (ALP ≤ 250 IU/L). The overall study cohort comprised 712 patients.

Nancy Pelosi filed a Periodic Transaction Report earlier this year, disclosing a purchase of AllianceBernstein (NYSE:AB | AB Price Prediction) units in the $1,000,001 to $5,000,000 range, with a transaction date of January 16, 2026. That is a notable swerve. Her filings have historically leaned into mega-cap tech optionality, the Nvidias (NASDAQ:NVDA) and Broadcoms (NASDAQ:AVGO) of the world, so a check written to a Nashville-headquartered asset manager that pays out variable cash distributions reads as a deliberate counterweight rather than a momentum trade.
What she actually bought AllianceBernstein trades as a publicly listed limited partnership, and unitholders receive quarterly cash distributions tied to adjusted net income rather than a fixed dividend. Recent payouts illustrate the model. The Q1 2026 distribution came in at $0.83 per unit, following a $0.96 payout for Q4 2025 and a $0.86 in Q3 2025. Alpha Vantage pegs the trailing yield around 9.21%, but that number floats with earnings. When fee income compresses, so does the check.
The underlying business is steadier than the variable payout suggests. Total AUM stood at $838.6 billion at the end of Q1, rebounding to $881 billion in April on market appreciation. GAAP net income per unit jumped 37.3% year over year to $0.92, and GAAP operating income climbed 38.3% to $326.8 million. The institutional pipeline hit a record $27.5 billion, with $3.3 billion of inflows into the municipal franchise and $3.4 billion into alternatives and multi-asset offsetting $10.9 billion of active equity outflows.
The thesis behind the pivot Pelosi’s disclosed tech exposure has been the loud part of her portfolio. The quiet part now includes a fee-based business trading at a single-digit forward multiple. AB carries a trailing PE near 11x and a forward PE around 10x.
Compare that with the contrast set in her filings.
NVIDIA is up 42% over the past year and sits at a roughly $4.95 trillion market cap. Broadcom is up 57% over the past year. AB, meanwhile, is down 6% year-to-date and down 10% over the past year. Read the AB purchase as ballast. Cash distributions do not care whether the AI capex cycle peaks in 2027 or 2029.
Whether a retirement investor should follow The case for tagging along is the same case CEO Seth Bernstein has been making to institutional clients. “Average AUM and advisory base fees grew 8% and 5%, respectively. Adjusted operating income increased 3% and adjusted earnings per Unit and distributions to Unitholders rose 4%,” he said alongside the Q1 release.
Boring mid-single-digit growth funded by recurring fees, with a payout policy that returns essentially all of it. For a portfolio anchored in retirement income, that profile sits structurally apart from owning a semiconductor stock and praying the hyperscaler order book holds.
The caveats matter. Distributions vary quarter to quarter, the active equity outflows are real, and PTR filings disclose only ranges and trade dates, so the size of Pelosi’s overall AB exposure is not knowable from the document itself. The defensible reason to take interest is the logic itself, that a high-yielding LP can balance a tech-heavy book trading near all-time highs. The Schedule K-1 at tax time is the price of admission.
Inflation remains a lingering headwind for consumer spending. The latest data shows the producer price index rising 6.5% year over year for May -- the highest increase since 2022. This isn't the news Lululemon Athletica (LULU +0.11%) wanted to hear, as higher prices for everyday essentials leave less money for discretionary items like apparel.
Lululemon's sales growth has slowed over the past two years, which coincides with the spike in inflation that began in the aftermath of the pandemic. The question is whether persistent inflation will continue to pressure its sales and margins, potentially sending the stock to fresh lows in the near term.
Weak demand continues to plague Lululemon Lululemon's revenue rose just 2% year over year on a constant-currency basis last quarter. This is well off the pace in mid-2023, when it reported an 18% increase in revenue. Comparable sales from existing stores fell 2% year over year on a currency-adjusted basis.
Weak demand is hurting profitability. Gross margin dropped over four percentage points to 54.2%. Management doesn't see relief in the near term. The company lowered full-year guidance, and is now expecting revenue to be down slightly.
Inflation is a real challenge for the business. Higher prices don't create an environment conducive to growing apparel sales. While Lululemon does have an advantage in operating at the premium end of the apparel market, the dip in gross margin shows it is not benefiting from pricing power. This could indicate increasing competition from other brands.
Adding to the uncertainty is a recent leadership change following Calvin McDonald's January departure as CEO. This was followed by underperforming product launches last quarter and negative social media comments about the brand.

Is the stock a bargain or a value trap? There is uncertainty and negative sentiment around the stock. While the stock trades at a bargain valuation of just 11 times forward earnings estimates, I would wait before buying.
The change in leadership adds to the uncertainty around Lululemon's product strategy, which has already shown mixed results. While some product updates have received positive customer response, recent releases haven't translated into sales growth in other products as management expected.
While international revenue grew 22% year over year last quarter, negative brand sentiment has hit the American segment hard, resulting in a 4% year-over-year decline.
Heidi O'Neill, who previously worked at Nike for over 25 years, will join Lululemon as the new CEO on Sept. 8, 2026. Until then, there's no catalyst for a product strategy shake-up to reignite demand.
Lululemon could turn out to be a bargain at these levels, but it could also be a value trap. Beyond the near-term inflation headwinds, the uncertainty around the company's product strategy doesn't provide a clear path for improving sales anytime soon. I would wait until the new CEO comes on board later this year before considering a position in the stock.
ToplineAthletic wear company Lululemon has apologized for using a Japanese drum during a yoga event staged on China’s Great Wall amid heightened tension between the two countries, in a reputational stumble that threatens growth with Chinese consumers on which the brand is increasingly reliant.

Key FactsLululemon staged a yoga event on the Great Wall with well-known Chinese actor Zhu Yilong on May 30 and the event, attended by roughly 2,000 people, was advertised as promoting Chinese culture and wellness, according to the state-run tabloid Global Times.
Yilong joined a musical group on stage for what was described as a traditional Chinese drum performance but after the actor posted a picture of himself with one of the instruments, with the Lululemon logo front and center, he and the company were swiftly hit with backlash because the drum resembled a Japanese taiko drum rather than a traditional Chinese instrument based on its barrel shape, red rope bindings and angled setup, critics argued.
Commenters said using a Japanese drum at a Chinese cultural landmark was inappropriate and insulting, the Times reported, and Chinese percussionist Xu Yang reportedly told his social media followers the drums from the two countries "should never be confused.”
The company apologized on Weibo, a social media platform popular in China, writing: “Due to limitations in our professional knowledge, we were unable to identify potential controversies."
The Hiiko Drum Troupe that performed at the event also apologized and promised "use of the controversial drums have been suspended.”
Lululemon said it “should have been more cautious and thorough” in its preparation, and said it has removed “all related promotional content.”
CRUCIAL QUOTE“Chinese consumers are just very hypersensitive,” Shaun Rein, managing director of the China Market Research Group, told the Financial Times.
KEY BACKGROUNDChina is a critical growth market for Lululemon and making cultural missteps there could be particularly costly for the brand. In its latest quarter, the firm reported U.S. sales fell 4% while mainland China sales surged 23% in constant dollars. China accounted for about 10% of Lululemon's global revenue in 2023 but by late 2025, that number had grown to roughly 18%. The brand plans to open 25 to 30 stores in international markets in the coming year—most in the Chinese market—but competition in the region is heating up. Lifestyle brand Vuori has built five stores in China since October and Alo Yoga is preparing to debut in Hong Kong with a 7,000-square-foot, two-story waterfront store.
BIG NUMBER$2.5 billion. That was Lululemon’s reported revenue for Q1 2026, the latest data available, up 2% on a constant dollar basis.
what to watch forIf shares fall Wednesday as news of the drum controversy spreads.
Lululemon has issued a public apology for using a Japanese drum during a promotional yoga event staged on China’s Great Wall, which triggered a social media firestorm.
The Canadian athleisure company said it failed to show cultural sensitivity for the event, which was held at the end of May and featured Chinese actor Zhu Yilong.
Critics said the instrument used at the event resembled a Japanese taiko drum, a barrel-shaped percussion instrument traditionally played with large sticks in ensemble performances.
Chinese actor Zhu Yilong appeared at Lululemon’s Great Wall yoga festival, which sparked backlash over the use of a Japanese drum during a performance. The Chinese dagu, which was not used, is a broad category of traditional Chinese drums with distinct designs and performance styles.
“Due to limitations in our professional knowledge, we were unable to identify potential controversies,” Lululemon said.
It also said it “should have been more cautious and thorough,” and has removed “all related promotional content.”
While Lululemon did not specify the drum’s origin, the company emphasized that the event was intended to celebrate Chinese culture.
“We deeply value the feedback received and recognize that we should have been more thoughtful and sensitive in our planning and review process for the drum performance,” the statement continued.
“This has been a valuable learning for us, and we extend our sincerest apologies.”
The backlash reflects longstanding sensitivities in China toward Japanese cultural symbols, which can quickly become flashpoints online amid lingering tensions between the two countries.

In a statement posted on Weibo, one of China’s largest social media platforms, Lululemon apologized to both Zhu and the public after criticism spread online.
The controversy erupted after online commentators questioned the origin of the drum used during the Great Wall event.

The issue gained wider attention after percussionist Xu Yang published a video analyzing the instrument, drawing additional scrutiny to the performance.
Crisis communications strategist Amore Philip said Lululemon’s apology was timely but may not fully address concerns in China.
“The speed was right. The language was wrong,” Philip told The Post, arguing that the company’s explanation that it lacked sufficient expertise risked making it appear “incompetent rather than accountable.”
Lululemon’s high-profile Great Wall activation was intended to celebrate Chinese culture but instead sparked an online backlash. China News Service via Getty Images Philip described the backlash as “a warning shot, not a death blow” for Lululemon’s China business, noting that the market remains one of the company’s fastest-growing regions.
The Great Wall controversy is the latest in a string of public-relations headaches for Lululemon.
Earlier this year, the company faced criticism after shoppers complained that its “Get Low” leggings were see-through, prompting a temporary sales pause and a 6.5% drop in its share price.
In 2024, Lululemon pulled its “Breezethrough” leggings after customers mocked the design online, while founder Chip Wilson sparked backlash the same year with comments criticizing the company’s DEI efforts.
The athleisure giant removed promotional content tied to its Great Wall event following a social media firestorm in China. Jimin Kim/SOPA Images/Shutterstock Foreign brands operating in China and elsewhere often come up against cultural and political sensitivities that can quickly become flashpoints on social media.
Diplomatic tensions between China and Japan have also been running high in recent months. Beijing sharply criticized Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi after comments suggesting a Chinese attack on Taiwan could pose a direct threat to Japan’s security.
Chinese officials accused Tokyo of interfering in its internal affairs, while the remarks fueled concerns in Beijing that Japan was taking a more confrontational stance toward its regional rival.
Lululemon is not the first global brand to stumble into a cultural controversy in Asia.
Earlier this year, Starbucks apologized in South Korea after a marketing campaign was accused of invoking symbols associated with the 1980 Gwangju uprising, triggering a public backlash and the departure of a senior executive.
Last year, outdoor apparel brand Arc’teryx faced an online backlash after holding a fireworks event in Tibet.
June is shaping up as a stock-picker’s month. Spring volatility has settled, and contrarian investors are scanning the wreckage for quality names trading well off their highs with identifiable recovery catalysts.
Three large-cap stories stand out: an athleisure leader cut in half, a semiconductor name already mid-recovery from a brutal drawdown, and a GLP-1 giant trading near multi-year lows. Each carries real risk. Each also has a thesis that could change quickly if the right data point lands.
Lululemon (LULU) Lululemon Athletica (NASDAQ:LULU | LULU Price Prediction) is the textbook beaten-down name on this list. Shares trade around $114, down 46% year to date and 52% over the past year. The stock sits roughly 46% below its 52-week high of $252.24, validating the turnaround framing flagged by outlets like Motley Fool.
The bull case rests on two pillars. International remains a juggernaut: China Mainland comparable sales surged 30% in Q4 FY2025, with international revenue up 17% year-over-year. Capital return is aggressive too. Management repurchased 5.0 million shares for roughly $1.2 billion in FY2025, and the board added a $1.0 billion authorization in December 2025. Valuation looks reasonable on forward earnings, with the stock changing hands at a forward P/E near 10.
The risk is real. Americas comparable sales fell 3% for the full year, gross margin contracted 550 basis points to 55%, and FY2026 EPS guidance of $12.10 to $12.30 implies a decline from FY2025’s $13.26. Co-CEO Meghan Frank said driving “improvement in our full-price sales over the course of 2026 is also a key priority, particularly in North America”. Tariff headwinds and the interim co-CEO structure remain overhangs until North American comps turn.
Marvell Technology (MRVL) Marvell Technology (NASDAQ:MRVL) is the recovery already in motion. Shares traded around $303 on Wednesday after surging more than 79% in the past month and 239% year to date. The descriptor “beaten-down” applied earlier this year: the 52-week low was $61.44. But today’s setup is different. Marvell has roared, but with Q1 FY2027 numbers in hand, the question is whether there’s more room.
The numbers support continued momentum. Q1 FY2027 revenue was $2.418 billion, up 28% year over year, with data center revenue at $1.833 billion, or 76% of total. CEO Matt Murphy said the company is seeing “exceptional AI-related bookings” and is “significantly raising Marvell’s revenue outlook for both fiscal 2027 and fiscal 2028”. Q2 guidance calls for $2.7 billion in revenue, roughly 35% year-over-year growth. Analyst sentiment is overwhelmingly constructive at 89% bullish with 31 Buy ratings and 8 Strong Buys.
The caveat: shares now trade above the $235.70 analyst target, and the forward P/E sits near 69. Beta of 2.28 means volatility cuts both ways. Customer concentration in hyperscalers and a $331.8 million contingent consideration charge in Q1 are worth watching.
Novo Nordisk (NVO) Novo Nordisk (NYSE:NVO) trades as a U.S.-listed ADR, which means a Danish withholding tax applies to dividend payments for U.S. holders. Shares trade around $44, are down 41% over the past year and sit 34% below the 52-week high of $71.37. The stock bounced 7% since June 8, hinting at a sentiment turn.
The catalyst stack is loaded. The Wegovy pill launched in January and already generated $2.26 billion in Q1 with more than 1 million patients. Wegovy HD launched in the U.S. in April with a 21% mean weight loss, and the Ozempic pill launched May 4, 2026. Medicare Part D obesity coverage begins July 1, 2026, a potentially massive demand unlock. Management raised FY2026 guidance, and the 4% dividend yield pays investors to wait. Forward EPS of $24.06 against the current price implies a remarkably low forward multiple, though investors should note the figure reflects ADR ratio mechanics.
The risks are equally clear. Planned 50% Wegovy and 35% Ozempic U.S. list price cuts take effect Jan. 1, 2027, GLP-1 competition from tirzepatide is intensifying, and the CagriSema REDEFINE 4 trial missed its primary endpoint. Q1 EPS of $6.63 missed the $6.96 consensus by 5%, and US revenue declined 11%. Recovery hinges on the pill ramp and Medicare uptake offsetting US pricing pressure.
Three setups, three very different risk profiles. Lululemon needs North America to turn. Marvell needs AI bookings to keep accelerating into a stretched multiple. Novo Nordisk needs the Wegovy pill and Medicare coverage to outrun pricing cuts. June earnings updates, July’s Medicare obesity coverage launch, and Lululemon’s Q1 FY2026 report are the next checkpoints worth circling.
As consumer spending shifts between high-end physical goods and live experiences, investors are weighing the merits of Lululemon Athletica (LULU +0.11%) and StubHub (STUB +2.46%) to determine which better fits their portfolio.
Lululemon remains a leader in technical apparel, while StubHub operates as a massive global intermediary for the live events industry. Both companies cater to discretionary spending but face vastly different operational challenges in 2026.
The case for Lululemon AthleticaLululemon Athletica designs and sells technical athletic apparel and footwear for activities such as yoga and workouts. The company operates an omni-channel model, reaching customers through more than 800 stores and a robust e-commerce platform. It relies on a concentrated network of suppliers, with roughly 40% of production in Vietnam and 34% of fabric sourced from Taiwan.
In its 2025 fiscal year (FY), revenue reached $11.1 billion, representing a growth rate of 4.9% compared to the previous year. The company reported net income of $1.6 billion for the same period. While its net margin was approximately 14.2%, this was a decrease from the 17.1% net margin achieved in the prior fiscal year.
As of its February 2026 balance sheet, the debt-to-equity ratio was 0.4x. This ratio measures total debt against shareholder equity, suggesting a conservative level of borrowing. The current ratio, which compares short-term assets to short-term liabilities, was a healthy 2.3x. Additionally, the company generated free cash flow of $921.7 million, which is the cash remaining after paying for retail stocks operations and equipment.
The case for StubHubStubHub operates a global marketplace that connects buyers and sellers of tickets for live sports, music, and theater events. The company generates revenue by collecting service fees on these transactions across its North American and international platforms. It serves a diverse customer base in over 200 countries, though it faces unique branding restrictions in certain international markets.
For the period ending in FY 2025, the company reported revenue of $1.7 billion, a slight decline of 1.4% from the prior year. The business recorded a net loss of approximately $2.0 billion during this timeframe. This resulted in a net margin of -109.2%, primarily due to high expenses and legal settlements that weighed on the bottom line.
As of the December 2025 balance sheet, the debt-to-equity ratio stood at 0.8x. The current ratio was approximately 1.0x, indicating that short-term assets just barely cover short-term obligations. Despite the reported net loss, StubHub generated free cash flow of $191.2 million, representing the actual cash produced by the business after accounting for necessary capital investments.
Risk profile comparisonLululemon Athletica faces significant supply chain risks due to its heavy reliance on manufacturing in Vietnam and fabric sourcing in Taiwan. This geographic concentration leaves the company vulnerable to regional geopolitical tensions or trade disruptions. Furthermore, the company is navigating a leadership transition following a CEO departure in early 2026 and faces stiff competition from Nike and other brands selling lower priced alternatives.
StubHub is currently dealing with intense regulatory scrutiny following a $10 million settlement with the FTC regarding fee transparency. The company also disclosed material weaknesses in its internal controls, which could impact the accuracy of future financial reporting. Operationally, it depends on third party cloud services, while facing competition from primary ticket sellers like Live Nation Entertainment.
Valuation comparisonLululemon Athletica appears to be the more value-oriented choice based on future earnings estimates, while StubHub carries a significantly higher multiple despite its recent net losses.
MetricLululemon AthleticaStubHubSector BenchmarkForward P/E10.5x23.2x29.6xP/S ratio1.2x2.3xSector benchmark uses the SPDR XLY sector ETF. Valuation metrics sourced from Financial Modeling Prep (FMP) and may differ from other data providers.
Choosing an investment between Lululemon Athletica and StubHub is a tough decision since both are at interesting crossroads in their businesses.
Lululemon is experiencing a tough time. It reduced its 2026 sales outlook to be flat compared to 2025. A day after this announcement, its stock plunged to a 52-week low of $109.36.
Another factor weighing on the stock is Lululemon’s leadership transition. Uncertainty clouds the company as it awaits a new CEO, Heidi O’Neill, who won’t start until September. Whether she will be able to turn around the struggling retailer will be an unknown until she’s at the helm for a couple of quarters at least.
While StubHub showed no sales growth in 2025, it’s off to a strong start in 2026. Its first-quarter revenue rose 12% year over year to $446.0 million. Moreover, the company swung from a Q1 net loss of $22.2 million in 2025 to net income of $48.0 million this year. Its solid Q1 earnings report helped push shares up from 52-week low of $5.74 reached in April.
Lululemon is the established business, since StubHub only became a public company last September. However, StubHub appears to be heading towards a promising year ahead given its Q1 sales growth. Because of this, my choice right now is StubHub, although investors who believe Lululemon can turn things around will find now is a good time to pick up shares due to its low valuation.
When done right, brand activations can bring real-life awareness and connect a company with its customers. When done poorly, they can turn sour quickly, bringing the opposite effect to a brand—as activewear giant Lululemon recently discovered.
On Friday, May 30, the Canadian retailer organized a massive yoga festival on China’s Great Wall as part of its move toward gaining share in the Chinese market. However, the event—which was meant to be a celebration of Chinese culture and wellness with 2,000 guests—quickly backfired.
According to Chinese state-owned publication Global Times, Chinese actor Zhu Yilong attended the event and performed as part of a drum troupe. But users on social media realized the brand had mistakenly used a Japanese taiko (“big drum”), not a Chinese one.
The event gained traction when the actor posted an image of himself with the drum, which featured Lululemon’s logo, on Weibo, one of China’s main social media platforms.
While the Japanese and Chinese drums may seem similar from afar—made with wood and tacked cowhide—social media observers quickly pointed out the differences and flamed Lululemon for the mix-up.

According to Global Times, discussions about the drum mix-up reached 50 million viewers, with users calling the error insulting and inappropriate.
Following calls for the company to rectify the situation, Lululemon reportedly issued an apology via its Weibo account on Tuesday and scrubbed videos and promotional materials related to the activation from its accounts.
“We attach great importance to the feedback from the society,” the statement said. “Due to lack of professional knowledge, we failed to fully identify potential disputes early and have fully recognized that we ought to have planned and reviewed the percussion performance with more caution and thoroughness.”
Lululemon Athletica LULU is back under pressure in China after a yoga event on the Great Wall turned into a reputational headache. The late-May gathering brought more than 2,000 participants to one of China's most symbolic landmarks, but the use of a Japanese taiko drum quickly drew backlash across Chinese social media.
The company said the event was meant to honor Chinese culture, but it also admitted the drum performance should have gone through a more thoughtful and sensitive planning process. Lululemon apologized, calling the criticism a valuable learning moment, at a time when the brand is already navigating sharper scrutiny in one of its most important growth markets.
For investors, the bigger issue is not just one event. Lululemon shares have fallen about 46% so far this year after the company cut its annual forecast due to weaker North American performance, while China remains a bright spot that could still see slower growth this year. The brand is also facing tougher competition from Chinese and Western rivals, including Alo Yoga's move into the market, while another recent Shanghai yoga campaign drew criticism after participants said they were left practicing in the rain without rain gear or adequate backup facilities.

Bank of America has cut its price target on Persimmon PLC (LSE:PSN), the FTSE 100 housebuilder, to 1,220p from 1,300p, citing rising construction costs that it expects to squeeze profitability in 2027.
The broker kept its buy rating on the stock.
Bank of America now forecasts a roughly 100 basis point decline in Persimmon's underlying operating margin to 13.2% in 2027, reversing an earlier expectation of a modest improvement, before margins resume growth in 2028.
A basis point is one hundredth of a percentage point.
The analysts trimmed their earnings estimates by an average of about 7% across 2026 to 2028, and lowered the price target by 6%.
Persimmon remains exposed to higher building costs and the risk of weaker consumer confidence, the broker said, though its products help cushion the impact.
The company's average selling price sits around 15% below other volume builders, and its land holdings are weighted towards northern England.
Despite the downgraded forecasts, Bank of America said Persimmon was still the only listed housebuilder to deliver growth across all key operating measures, including sales rate, order book and outlet numbers.
It expects return on equity, a measure of how efficiently a company generates profit from shareholders' funds, of about 8% in 2027 and 9% in 2028, the highest among UK peers.
The broker also pointed to Persimmon's relatively advanced progress on cladding and fire safety remediation, which it said should reduce uncertainty over future liabilities and free up cash sooner.
Persimmon shares fell 6.66 to 1,044.5p, though the move reflected the stock trading ex-dividend rather than the note.

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alight, Inc. (NYSE: ALIT), a leading benefits administration provider of health, wealth and leave solutions, today announced its Board of Directors has determined to effectuate a reverse stock split of Alight’s outstanding shares of common stock and a corresponding decrease in the number of authorized shares of each class and series of common stock (the “Reverse Stock Split”) at a ratio of 1-for-20. The Reverse Stock Split was approved by stockholders at Alight’s 2026 Annual Meeting of Stockholders held on June 10, 2026.
The Reverse Stock Split is expected to become effective as of Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time (the “Effective Time”). Alight’s Class A common stock is expected to begin trading on a split-adjusted basis on the New York Stock Exchange (“NYSE”) under the existing symbol (ALIT) when the market opens on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. The new CUSIP number for Alight’s Class A common stock following the Reverse Stock Split will be 01626W 200. The Reverse Stock Split affirms the Company’s commitment to remain on the NYSE by meeting the NYSE’s price criteria for continued listing and positions the company for inclusion in additional indexes such as the Russell 3000.
"Today's announcement is a structural action that allows us to realign our share count and maintain our focus on executing our strategy," said Rohit Verma, CEO of Alight. "This action does not change our commitment to delivering for our clients, colleagues and stockholders. In fact, we believe it further strengthens the foundation that enables our clients and partners to continue relying on Alight with confidence as we execute our strategy and invest in the capabilities that matter most to them. We remain committed to our three operating principles: delivering service and operational excellence; innovating products to create value and actionable insights; and building relationships that result in enduring, trusted partnerships."
As of the Effective Time, every 20 issued and outstanding shares of Alight’s Class A common stock, Class B non-voting common stock (including Class B-1 common stock and Class B-2 common stock), and Class V common stock will be automatically reclassified into one issued and outstanding share of Alight’s Class A common stock, Class B non-voting common stock (including Class B-1 common stock and Class B-2 common stock), and Class V common stock, respectively. No fractional shares will be issued as a result of the reverse stock split. Instead, stockholders will receive cash in lieu of fractional shares on a pro rata basis utilizing the post-Reverse Stock Split price per share.
Proportionate adjustments will be made to the terms of Alight’s outstanding equity-based awards and equity plans as well as the limited liability company units of Alight Holding Company LLC (which are exchangeable together with one share of Class V Common Stock for shares of Class A common stock on a one-for-one basis), in accordance with the terms of the applicable agreements. Additionally, the total number of shares Alight is authorized to issue and number of authorized shares of Class A common stock, Class B non-voting common stock (including Class B-1 common stock, Class B-2 common stock and Class B-3 common stock), Class V common stock and Class Z non-voting common stock (including the Class Z-A common stock, Class Z-B-1 common stock and Class Z-B-2 common stock) will correspondingly be decreased.
Registered stockholders holding pre-split shares of Alight’s Class A common stock, Class B non-voting common stock (including Class B-1 common stock and Class B-2 common stock), and Class V common stock are not required to take any action to receive post-reverse stock split shares of Class A common stock, Class B non-voting common stock (including Class B-1 common stock and Class B-2 common stock), and Class V common stock, respectively, in registered book-entry form or cash payment in lieu of fractional shares, if applicable. Stockholders owning shares through a broker, bank or other holder of record are expected to have their positions automatically adjusted to reflect the reverse stock split and cash payment in lieu of fractional shares, if applicable, subject to any particular processes of the holder of record. Stockholders that hold shares of Class A common stock, Class B non-voting common stock (including Class B-1 common stock and Class B-2 common stock), and Class V common stock with a broker, bank or other holder of record, should contact their holder of record with any questions in this regard.

Workplace solutions company Alight (ALIT 4.40%) wasn't working well for its investors in the holiday-shortened trading week.
The company formally announced a major financial engineering move, and while that was expected, market players clearly weren't encouraged. Collectively, they reduced the stock's price by almost 12% over the period, according to data compiled by S&P Global Market Intelligence.
Splitsville On Thursday morning, Alight announced that it was enacting a 1-for-20 reverse stock split of its class A common stock, a move ratified in a shareholder vote earlier this month. The company said the split should become effective after market close on Tuesday, June 30.

It's important to bear in mind that any stock split, forward or reverse, does not change the company's market cap. The only change is the number of shares, with the per-share price adjusting to reflect the new total.
Reverse stock splits are typically undertaken to regain compliance with stock exchange listing requirements, as is the case with Alight. Sure enough, the company cited this as a key reason for its move.

Discouraging developments A reverse stock split is a flashing red emergency signal that a business is struggling. Alight's recent performance has been dispiriting, and I'm not seeing any notable signs of improvement yet. I'd stay away from this stock for now.

Key Takeaways VRT is the stronger AI cooling pick, backed by scale, integration and hyperscaler ties.Vertiv expects $13.5B-$14B in 2026 sales and 29-31% organic growth versus 2025.Modine's data center revenues hit $1.1B in fiscal 2026, but margins and execution remain watchpoints. Artificial intelligence (AI) is generating a lot of heat—literally. As data centers pack in more GPUs to power the next wave of AI workloads, keeping those machines from overheating has become as critical as the chips themselves. That has made data center cooling infrastructure one of the hottest investment themes around. Two stocks positioned to capitalize include Vertiv Holdings (VRT - Free Report) and Modine Manufacturing (MOD - Free Report) .
Vertiv is the established giant with deep hyperscaler relationships and an integrated infrastructure portfolio that spans thermal, power and software. Modine is like the upstart worth watching—a former auto-parts company reinventing itself and building a fast-growing data center cooling business. Both are riding the same macro tailwind, but are offering different propositions. Here's how they stack up.
The Case for Vertiv: Scale, Integration, and VisibilityVertiv's edge starts with its extensive product portfolio, which covers liquid cooling, uninterruptible power supplies, switchgear, busbars, modular infrastructure and monitoring systems. When hyperscalers want a single vendor to handle the full power and thermal stack of an AI factory, Vertiv is often where they turn.
VRT’s first-quarter 2026 numbers were encouraging. Revenues grew 30% year over year, organic sales climbed 23%, adjusted operating margins expanded 430 basis points, and free cash flow more than doubled. The company’s ability to capitalize on the accelerating demand for data center infrastructure, especially in AI and cloud deployments, has been a key factor in this performance.
Acquisitions are compounding the advantage. Vertiv absorbed PurgeRite for fluid management and BMarko Structures for modular deployments. The acquisition of Strategic Thermal Labs strengthens Vertiv's engineering capability at the server-side liquid cooling interface. More recently, ThermoKey buyout expands Vertiv's heat rejection and heat-exchange portfolio, particularly across EMEA, and gives customers more flexibility to optimize thermal architectures across multiple compute generations.
The company's ability to deliver integrated, prefabricated solutions like OneCore and SmartRun is particularly valued as customers seek faster deployment and greater efficiency. Building on this, Vertiv recently integrated its SmartRun platform with NVIDIA's Omniverse DSX— creating the first converged physical infrastructure digital twin for AI factory design. The solution reduces design changes, lowers integration risks, and speeds up AI factory deployment by moving from traditional document-based planning to a model-based approach.
Vertiv now expects net sales of $13.5 billion to $14 billion, with organic net sales growth of 29% to 31% versus 2025. Adjusted earnings per share are projected between $6.30 and $6.40, representing an uptick of 50-52% year over year. Vertiv exited 2025 with a record order backlog of $15 billion— up 109% year over year. That locks in multi-year revenue visibility well into 2027, making Vertiv one of the well-positioned beneficiaries of the hyperscaler AI buildout.
The Case for Modine: Fast Growth, Sharp FocusModine's transformation is real and it's accelerating. The company has been building out a data center cooling unit that barely existed a few years ago. Fiscal 2026 data center revenues hit $1.1 billion, up 73% year over year. The company ended fiscal 2026 with its second consecutive quarter of record order intake. Modine’s data center business is supported by record order intake and roughly five years of pipeline visibility, underpinned by strong exposure to hyperscale customers.
A newly signed long-term capacity agreement commits more than $4 billion of Airedale chiller products to a strategic customer between 2027 and 2029. As part of the agreement, Modine received a $165 million upfront payment to support manufacturing investments needed to fulfill future orders. It suggests that the buyer views Modine's cooling technology as important enough to help finance its growth. That reduces execution risk, improves cash flow visibility and allows management to invest aggressively while preserving balance sheet flexibility.
On the technology side, Modine recently unveiled a 3-megawatt chiller that delivers 50% more cooling capacity with only a 9% increase in physical footprint. That is what customers need as rack densities climb and floor space stays constrained. Co-development arrangements with key customers are also building switching costs and improving demand visibility.
Management guides data center revenue growth of 60-80% in fiscal 2027 and 50-70% in fiscal 2028. A Reverse Morris Trust transaction combining its Performance Technologies unit with Gentherm, expected to close in the end of 2026, will leave Modine as a focused Climate Solutions company. The operational story will only get sharper from there.
Modine continues to apply 80/20 principles to simplify operations and direct resources toward its highest-returning products and markets. The approach has delivered results— fiscal 2026 marked the company's fourth consecutive year of record revenues and adjusted EBITDA. That said, gross margins fell 320 basis points in the last reported quarter, pressured by capacity expansion costs, higher material prices, and tariffs. While the company views it as transitional, it's a number worth watching as volumes scale.
Valuation and Price PerformanceOn valuation, Modine trades at 3.5x forward sales while Vertiv commands around 7.5x — a meaningful gap, and one that reflects the difference in scale, margin profile, and market confidence.
MOD has climbed about 113% year to date, outpacing VRT's 85% return. The rally reflects growing optimism around Modine's role in the AI data center buildout. Still, the company must prove it can translate strong demand into long-term growth by expanding capacity, integrating acquisitions, and protecting margins as the business scales.
Our Take: VRT Is the Better BetModine's transformation is real and the growth numbers are hard to ignore. But strong growth alone doesn't make a stock a better buy.
Vertiv has what Modine is still building— scale, integration and proven hyperscaler relationships. Modine looks cheaper, but execution risk is real and the pure-play thesis only fully materializes once the Gentherm deal closes. Vertiv demands a premium, but with 2026 EPS growth of 51%, implied by the Zacks Consensus Estimate and positive revisions over the past seven days, the optimism around the stock only seems to be building. The valuation is steep, but the fundamentals justify the ask.
For an investor building a position in AI infrastructure today, Vertiv is the stronger pick. While MOD currently sports a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold), VRT carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy). You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is driving a surge in technology infrastructure spending. While top semiconductor stocks have been the hot plays, Vertiv (VRT +5.05%) and Texas Instruments (TXN +6.95%) are falling somewhat under the radar for many investors.
Here's why both of these tech stocks look positioned for strong growth in the data center boom.
Vertiv As data centers pack in more computing power to support AI training and inference, chip density continues to rise. That pushes up heat and electricity demand, boosting demand for Vertiv's critical power management and cooling systems. In the first quarter, Vertiv reported net sales up 30% year over year (23% excluding currency and acquisitions).
The power and cooling market is competitive, but Vertiv has built an edge through service quality, long-term customer relationships, steady innovation, and a large global service network. And once this kind of equipment is installed, customers often stick with the same supplier.
That advantage is starting to show in profitability. Adjusted operating margin rose more than four percentage points to 20.8% last quarter, and management believes it can reach at least 27% over time.

Vertiv is positioned to maintain sales growth of around 20% or more in the AI boom. Based on The Motley Fool's research, the leading AI hyperscalers were expected to increase capital spending by at least 45% in 2026 -- a big tailwind for this data center supplier.
For 2026, company guidance calls for organic net sales to be up 29% to 31% over 2025, with adjusted earnings growing at least 50%. Analysts see improving margins driving roughly 32% annualized earnings growth over the next few years. If the company hits those targets, shareholders could be well rewarded.
Texas Instruments Texas Instruments is a top supplier of analog power chips that regulate electricity flow -- exactly what data centers need as power density climbs. In the first quarter, revenue grew 19% year over year, but the real story was the 90% increase in data center revenue. Its advantage is a massive portfolio of more than 80,000 products, letting it serve a wide range of analog sockets across electronic devices, including server racks in data centers.
It could also achieve improving margins as it expands into specialized, application-specific parts -- something management expects to begin contributing meaningfully to financial results in the second half of 2026.

The biggest risk is the industry's usual cyclical swings in chip demand. Parts of Texas Instruments' business, such as automotive and personal electronics, can experience softness in a weak economy. But the data center opportunity is real and can contribute to the company's overall growth, as it just did.
It's telling that leading AI companies like Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI (ChatGPT) are continuing to see surging usage of their AI models. That necessitates greater investment in chips and networking in data centers to accommodate the frequent use of these tools, which could ultimately benefit Vertiv and Texas Instruments.
Analysts forecast about 21% annualized earnings growth for Texas Instruments, but earnings rose 31% year over year in the first quarter, pushing estimates higher. That suggests Wall Street may still be underestimating the scale and duration of the AI infrastructure build-out, creating an opportunity in pick-and-shovel stocks like Vertiv and Texas Instruments.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is quickly becoming a race to the bottom, at least for users. Whether it's ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, or Claude, people can switch app subscriptions almost as quickly as they change their shirt.
AI models could eventually become commodities, so the real opportunity lies in the infrastructure they depend on. I'm talking about the physical systems that support AI: the chips, energy, and cooling technology that data centers require.
The companies providing most of these components are already public, unlike OpenAI and Anthropic, which will likely IPO at eye-popping valuations that leave far less room for new investors to profit. These three companies have powerful AI tailwinds, and adding them to your portfolio could even help you become a millionaire as AI matures over the next decade and beyond.

Still the standard in AI compute Nvidia (NVDA +3.08%) is the biggest company in the world today, and its stock has already generated life-changing returns for those who have held it over the longer term. But the journey isn't over.
The AI data centers being built today are using Nvidia's flagship Blackwell chip architecture, and the company will begin shipping its next-generation Vera Rubin platform by the end of this year. Nvidia is expanding its presence on the server rack with Vera Rubin, a six-chip platform that forms an AI supercomputer and includes both a GPU and a CPU.

CEO Jensen Huang has already stated that Nvidia anticipates $1 trillion in total orders for Blackwell and Vera Rubin across 2026 and 2027, priming the company for more explosive revenue growth. Wall Street estimates that Nvidia's revenue will spike from $253.5 billion over the past 12 months to $391.7 billion this fiscal year and then to $551.7 billion next fiscal year. Analysts also expect 45% annualized earnings growth over the long term.
Big tech companies continue to raise capital to spend on their AI build-outs, which signals that arguably the greatest investment cycle since the industrial revolution could still have plenty of legs. Nvidia is already worth roughly $5 trillion today, but trading at only 23 times its 2026 earnings estimates, this AI stock still has tremendous upside.
A rising star in the inference era Broadcom (AVGO +4.87%) is coming on strong in the AI chip race. Initially, Broadcom's AI business focused on selling networking chips for data centers. But the company has successfully shifted its focus to designing application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) for AI hyperscalers.
While Nvidia's GPUs are the most widely used general-purpose parallel processors, Broadcom customize its chips for each customer to handle the specific AI workloads those chips will see. That cuts their manufacturing costs and makes them more efficient for those particular workloads. That's a big deal when it comes to handling AI inference, where efficiency becomes even more important than at the training stage.

To date, Broadcom has inked AI chip deals with several major AI customers, including Alphabet, Meta Platforms, OpenAI, and Anthropic. Broadcom's AI revenue will surge as these deals ramp up. In its fiscal 2026 second quarter, which ended May 3, the company's revenue from AI semiconductors grew by 143% year over year to $10.8 billion. CEO Hock Tan believes Broadcom will generate over $100 billion in AI semiconductor revenue in 2027. For comparison, its total net revenue in fiscal 2025 was just shy of $64 billion.
Broadcom's soaring AI revenue could drive earnings growth on par with rival Nvidia. Wall Street analysts estimate that Broadcom will grow earnings at an annualized rate of nearly 46% over the long term.
The stock is more expensive than Nvidia at 33 times its 2026 earnings estimates, but Broadcom's market cap is just $1.8 trillion. That's probably still too large for the stock to make you rich overnight, but there's definitely enough room for growth that Broadcom could move the needle for your portfolio over time.
Helping power and cool AI factories Vertiv Holdings (VRT +5.05%) doesn't get anywhere near the level of press coverage that the chip companies do. However, AI can't happen without companies such as Vertiv. It sells crucial infrastructure components, including power and thermal management systems, racks, enclosures, busbars, and monitoring equipment. These products operate behind the scenes to keep data centers energized and cool, arguably the most under-followed piece of the data center equation.

Naturally, the business is thriving as companies race to build data centers. Its organic sales in the Americas grew by 44% to $1.8 billion, and operating profit margins rose by 5.1 percentage points. Those rising margins reflect Vertiv's pricing power, as data center builders are prioritizing speed over everything else. The flip side, of course, is that Vertiv's business is essentially in a huge boom. The company will feel the shock when the pace of data center construction drops off.
The big tech companies that have ultimately funded much of this activity are continuing to lean further into AI investments. However, given that Vertiv is trading at a lofty 49 times its 2026 earnings estimates, it would be reasonable for interested investors to wait for a pullback before buying.
That said, analysts estimate that Vertiv will grow its earnings at an annualized rate of more than 32% over the long term, so it might be wise to instead start sooner and dollar-cost average your way into a position. That way, you can avoid getting caught waiting for a lower price that the stock might never reach.

At the center of everything we do is a strong commitment to independent research and sharing its profitable discoveries with investors. This dedication to giving investors a trading advantage led to the creation of our proven Zacks Rank stock-rating system. Since 1988 it has more than doubled the S&P 500 with an average gain of +24.00% per year. These returns cover a period from January 1, 1988 through May 4, 2026. Zacks Rank stock-rating system returns are computed monthly based on the beginning of the month and end of the month Zacks Rank stock prices plus any dividends received during that particular month. A simple, equally-weighted average return of all Zacks Rank stocks is calculated to determine the monthly return. The monthly returns are then compounded to arrive at the annual return. Only Zacks Rank stocks included in Zacks hypothetical portfolios at the beginning of each month are included in the return calculations. Zacks Ranks stocks can, and often do, change throughout the month. Certain Zacks Rank stocks for which no month-end price was available, pricing information was not collected, or for certain other reasons have been excluded from these return calculations. Zacks may license the Zacks Mutual Fund rating provided herein to third parties, including but not limited to the issuer.

Taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals for new and old investors, and Zacks Premium offers many different ways to do both.
Featuring daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, full access to the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens, the research service can help you become a smarter, more self-assured investor.
It also includes access to the Zacks Style Scores.
What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores is a unique set of guidelines that rates stocks based on three popular investing types, and were developed as complementary indicators for the Zacks Rank. This combination helps investors choose securities with the highest chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.
Each stock is given an alphabetic rating of A, B, C, D or F based on their value, growth, and momentum qualities. With this system, an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on, meaning the better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform.
The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:
Value ScoreValue investors love finding good stocks at good prices, especially before the broader market catches on to a stock's true value. Utilizing ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and many other multiples, the Value Style Score identifies the most attractive and most discounted stocks.
Growth ScoreGrowth investors, on the other hand, are more concerned with a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score examines things like projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks that will experience sustainable growth over time.
Momentum ScoreMomentum investors, who live by the saying "the trend is your friend," are most interested in taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Utilizing one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, among other factors, the Momentum Style Score can help determine favorable times to buy high-momentum stocks.
VGM ScoreIf you want a combination of all three Style Scores, then the VGM Score will be your friend. It rates each stock on their combined weighted styles, helping you find the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum. It's also one of the best indicators to use with the Zacks Rank.
How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank The Zacks Rank is a proprietary stock-rating model that harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings expectations, to help investors build a successful portfolio.
It's highly successful, with #1 (Strong Buy) stocks producing an unmatched +24% average annual return since 1988. That's more than double the S&P 500. But because of the large number of stocks we rate, there are over 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, plus another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.
But it can feel overwhelming to pick the right stocks for you and your investing goals with over 800 top-rated stocks to choose from.
That's where the Style Scores come in.
To maximize your returns, you want to buy stocks with the highest probability of success. This means picking stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B. If you find yourself looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, make sure they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.
Since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank, the direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy.
Here's an example: a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one with Style Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings outlook, and a bigger chance its share price will decrease too.
Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.
Stock to Watch: Paycom Software (PAYC - Free Report) Headquartered in Oklahoma City, Paycom Software, Inc. is a provider of cloud-based human capital management (HCM) software as a service solution for integrated software for both employee records and talent management processes.
PAYC is a #1 (Strong Buy) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of A.
It also boasts a Value Style Score of B thanks to attractive valuation metrics like a forward P/E ratio of 11.6; value investors should take notice.
Six analysts revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days for fiscal 2026. The Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.29 to $10.66 per share. PAYC boasts an average earnings surprise of +5.7%.
With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Value and VGM Style Scores, PAYC should be on investors' short list.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? Developed alongside the Zacks Rank, the Zacks Style Scores are a group of complementary indicators that help investors pick stocks with the best chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.
Based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics, each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F. The better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform; an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on.
Growth ScoreWhile good value is important, growth investors are more focused on a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score takes projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow into account to uncover stocks that will see long-term, sustainable growth.
VGM ScoreWhat if you like to use all three types of investing? The VGM Score is a combination of all Style Scores, making it one of the most comprehensive indicators to use with the Zacks Rank. It rates each stock on their combined weighted styles, which helps narrow down the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum.
How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank A proprietary stock-rating model, the Zacks Rank utilizes the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings outlook, to help investors create a successful portfolio.
#1 (Strong Buy) stocks have produced an unmatched +24% average annual return since 1988, which is more than double the S&P 500's performance over the same time frame. However, the Zacks Rank examines a ton of stocks, and there can be more than 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, and another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.
With more than 800 top-rated stocks to choose from, it can certainly feel overwhelming to pick the ones that are right for you and your investing journey.
That's where the Style Scores come in.
To have the best chance of big returns, you'll want to always consider stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B, which will give you the highest probability of success. If you're looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, it's important they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.
Since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank, the direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy.
A stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, for instance, even one with Scores of A and B, will still have a declining earnings forecast, and a greater chance its share price will fall too.
Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

Getting big returns from financial portfolios, whether through stocks, bonds, ETFs, other securities, or a combination of all, is an investor's dream. However, when you're an income investor, your primary focus is generating consistent cash flow from each of your liquid investments.
Cash flow can come from bond interest, interest from other types of investments, and, of course, dividends. A dividend is that coveted distribution of a company's earnings paid out to shareholders, and investors often view it by its dividend yield, a metric that measures the dividend as a percent of the current stock price. Many academic studies show that dividends make up large portions of long-term returns, and in many cases, dividend contributions surpass one-third of total returns.
Headquartered in New York, Voya Financial (VOYA - Free Report) is a Finance stock that has seen a price change of 21.53% so far this year. Currently paying a dividend of $0.47 per share, the company has a dividend yield of 2.08%. In comparison, the Insurance - Life Insurance industry's yield is 1.73%, while the S&P 500's yield is 1.44%.
Looking at dividend growth, the company's current annualized dividend of $1.88 is up 3.3% from last year. Over the last 5 years, Voya Financial has increased its dividend 4 times on a year-over-year basis for an average annual increase of 34.72%. Looking ahead, future dividend growth will be dependent on earnings growth and payout ratio, which is the proportion of a company's annual earnings per share that it pays out as a dividend. Voya's current payout ratio is 21%, meaning it paid out 21% of its trailing 12-month EPS as dividend.
Looking at this fiscal year, VOYA expects solid earnings growth. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 is $9.60 per share, representing a year-over-year earnings growth rate of 8.47%.
Investors like dividends for many reasons; they greatly improve stock investing profits, decrease overall portfolio risk, and carry tax advantages, among others. However, not all companies offer a quarterly payout.
For instance, it's a rare occurrence when a tech start-up or big growth business offers its shareholders a dividend. It's more common to see larger companies with more established profits give out dividends. Income investors must be conscious of the fact that high-yielding stocks tend to struggle during periods of rising interest rates. With that in mind, VOYA is a compelling investment opportunity. Not only is it a strong dividend play, but the stock currently sits at a Zacks Rank of #3 (Hold).
Key Takeaways VOYA's Retirement business is gaining from strong sales, high retention and the OneAmerica acquisition.Voya targets more than 2% organic growth in Investment Management, supported by strategic partnerships.VOYA returned $200M to shareholders in Q1 but faces higher leverage and investment-related margin pressure. Shares of Voya Financial, Inc. (VOYA - Free Report) have gained 36.1% in the past year, outperforming the industry’s growth of 18.8%.
Growth in the Retirement and Investment Management segments, improved employee benefits segments, strategic acquisitions and partnerships, record net flows, and excess capital generation are driving the stock performance. The momentum is likely to sustain with scope for further upside, supported by continued strength in the Retirement and Investment Management businesses, strategic acquisitions and ongoing share repurchases.
Voya Financial has outperformed its peers, including Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (RGA - Free Report) , Primerica, Inc. (PRI - Free Report) and Brighthouse Financial, Inc (BHF - Free Report) . Shares of RGA, PRI and BHF have gained 8.4%, 8.1% and 7.4%, respectively, in the past year.

VOYA’s Growth ProjectionThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for Voya Financial’s 2026 earnings per share (EPS) indicates a year-over-year increase of 8.4%. The consensus estimate for revenues is pegged at $1.33 billion, implying a year-over-year decline of 0.7%.
The consensus estimate for 2027 EPS and revenues indicates an increase of 14.8% and 7.4%, respectively, from the corresponding 2026 estimates.
Earnings have grown 8.8% in the past five years, better than the industry average of 5.9%. The expected long-term earnings growth rate is 11.5%.
Muted analyst sentiment for VOYAOne of the three analysts has raised earnings estimates for 2026 and 2027 over the past 30 days. However, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 and 2027 earnings has moved south 0.5% and 2.2%, respectively, over the same period.
Factors Acting in Favor of VOYAVOYA’s earnings are driven by its solid segmental performances across Retirement, Investment Management and Employee Benefits segments. These businesses represent higher-growth, capital-light and higher-return units, bolstering the company’s solid presence in the market.
The Retirement segment is steadily experiencing significant growth on the back of higher revenues, favorable market impacts, higher alternative investment income and active portfolio management, positive defined contribution flows, as well as disciplined management of spend. Management expects strong commercial momentum in retirement, driven by robust sales, more than 95% retention and new plan implementations.
Management described the OneAmerica retirement acquisition as highly successful, generating returns above 30%. It has meaningfully strengthened the scale and earnings power of the Retirement business, which now serves nearly 10 million Retirement accounts.
The Investment Management segment should benefit from higher investment capital returns, primarily driven by overall market performance, higher fee-based revenues, benefiting from strong commercial momentum and disciplined management of spend. Voya Financial remains confident in sustaining more than 2% organic growth. Management also highlighted continued strength in retail income and growth strategies. VOYA is constantly taking strategic steps to ramp up growth in its Investment Management segment. Voya Financial and Allianz Global Investors' long-term strategic partnership added scale and diversification to Voya Investment Management.
The Employee Benefits segment of the insurer is likely to gain from unfavorable stop-loss claim development in the prior period, a smaller block of business in the current period, lower premium-driven expenses, disciplined management of spend, higher alternative investment income and active portfolio management.
The company’s capital levels remain strong. In the first quarter of 2026, VOYA generated approximately $200 million of excess capital and returned that amount to shareholders through repurchases and dividends. VOYA repurchased an additional $150 million of shares in the second quarter, with $413 million remaining under its buyback authorization.
Risks for VOYAThe company plans to invest up to $75 million of excess capital in 2026 to strengthen its wealth management platform. These investments are expected to create a near-term earnings drag and reduce Retirement segment margins by about 200 basis points.
VOYA faces intense competition from broker-dealers, financial advisors, diversified financial institutions and start-up financial services providers, which could result in increased pressure on the pricing of certain products and services.
Voya's ROE has declined over the past two years due to weaker margins and operational pressures in Health Solutions and Employee Benefits. Additionally, long-term debt rose to $1.9 billion, up 26% from year-end 2025, causing the financial leverage ratio to deteriorate 220 basis points year over year to 29.7%. Higher leverage and lower profitability could weigh on future earnings and returns.
ConclusionVoya Financial is well-positioned for strong earnings growth across all three business segments, positive net flows, favorable retention and strategic partnerships. It should continue to benefit from financial flexibility and effective capital deployment. However, high competition, weakened ROE and a rise in debt are the concerns.
Given the muted analyst sentiment, it is wise to retain this Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) stock. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here
Wendy’s stock is charging ahead with explosive momentum. What’s fueling WEN momentum? Wendy's Stock Jumps After Reported Buyout DiscussionsAccording to the Financial Times, Trian has recently held discussions with outside investors, including investors in the Middle East, about financing a potential takeover of Wendy's.
Trian and Peltz currently own 16% of Wendy's. The activist investment firm has a long history with the company dating back to a 2005 activist campaign. Trian executive Peter May and Bradley Peltz, one of Nelson Peltz's sons, also sit on Wendy's board.
The report noted that Wendy's shares have fallen more than 40% over the past year and are down 71% over the last five years. The company last week reported weak quarterly results, citing high beef costs and soft traffic trends.
Trian said in a regulatory filing in February that Wendy's was "undervalued" and that it was considering strategic alternatives, including a potential takeover bid or reducing its stake in the company.
According to the report, Trian has not made a formal approach to acquire Wendy's and there is no guarantee that the financing discussions will result in a deal.
Wendy's said following Trian's February filing that it would "carefully evaluate" any takeover proposal if one materializes. The company is currently in the early stages of its "Fresh Start" turnaround plan aimed at improving U.S. sales and closing underperforming locations.
As of Monday's close, Wendy's had an enterprise value of approximately $5.1 billion.

CARPINTERIA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Procore Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: PCOR), the leading global provider of construction management software, announced new portfolio management and capital planning capabilities designed to transform the way owners manage capital projects through consolidated visibility and control across the entire portfolio—from early project concepts and planning to funding and operations. The new capabilities connect the full capital project lifecycle, giving owners greater visibility across portfolios to identify risk earlier, strengthen governance, and make more informed capital decisions. Embedded Procore AI extends agentic AI capabilities to owners, helping teams identify emerging risks across projects, automate workflows triggered by project events, and quickly surface answers about portfolio health using data connected across their capital programs.
As construction programs grow more complex and capital becomes more expensive, owners have less room for error. Many projects are still being executed against budgets approved 12 to 24 months earlier despite rising costs and shifting market conditions, while disconnected systems limit visibility across projects and financial performance. Nearly 92% of large capital projects fail to finish on time and on budget, with projects running an average of 20 months late and exceeding original estimates by 80%.
“Owners aren’t waking up worried about just one project. They’re thinking about hundreds of millions, sometimes billions, in capital spread across an entire portfolio,” said Geoff Lewis, SVP of Product at Procore. “We're building capital portfolio management capabilities directly into Procore to give owners that visibility in one place. Combined with embedded Procore AI, these capabilities help owners quickly assess project and portfolio health, surface emerging risks, and get answers grounded in construction data across all of their projects so they can make decisions with confidence instead of piecing together information across spreadsheets and disconnected systems.”
Providing a Connected Foundation for Owners
Capital project owners have long operated without a system purpose-built for the full scope of their role. Project management tools were designed for contractors, and financial platforms were not built for construction. The result is a patchwork of spreadsheets, disconnected data, and decisions made without a complete picture.
To address these challenges, Procore has introduced capabilities designed specifically for owners across the capital lifecycle—from early-stage planning through construction delivery and long-term operations, including:
Concept Projects helps owners evaluate early-stage initiatives alongside active work, compare investment options, and route decisions through approval workflows before capital is committed.Portfolio Monitoring provides centralized visibility into budget, schedule, and risk across active projects. Owners can track performance in real time and drill into project-level details when issues emerge.Owners Hub provides personalized dashboards that surface information requiring attention, from financial trends to schedule performance and risk. Views are configurable by role, so leaders see the insights most relevant to their decisions.● Capital Planning replaces disconnected spreadsheets with a live capital plan that helps owners forecast future spending, prioritize investments, and align long-term plans with active projects.Funding Source Management tracks where project funding comes from and how it is spent, making it easier for owners to manage multiple funding sources, maintain compliance, and improve financial accountability.Asset Management helps owners maintain a connected digital record of their assets across the entire lifecycle, linking equipment and spaces to the documentation, maintenance history, warranties, and project information needed to support decisions made during construction and into operations.Together, these capabilities provide owners with connected visibility across their portfolio and asset lifecycle, helping them plan investments, monitor execution, and manage assets in a single environment.
“Using Procore has really helped us make strategic planning decisions about where we want to spend capital in order to grow the business and focus on putting good dollars to work,” said Marc DiGuiseppe, Vice President of Project Delivery at Catalyze.
Turning Portfolio Data into Decisions With Procore AI
Procore AI helps capital project leaders turn project and portfolio data into action. With embedded capabilities like Deep Search, users can ask questions about individual projects and get answers grounded in specifications, submittals, and field documentation, reducing the need to chase down information across teams. To help capital project leaders identify issues earlier, Procore AI can surface emerging financial, schedule, and operational risks across portfolios, providing greater visibility into trends that may require attention.
Unlike horizontal AI tools, Procore AI is built on construction-specific context. Drawing from data across millions of projects, it can help capital project leaders understand not only what is happening across their portfolio, but why—and where action may be needed to help reduce future risk.

Key Takeaways NVT benefits from AI data center demand, with organic orders up about 40% in Q1 2026 and backlog at $2.6B.APH's IT Datacom business surged 99% in Q1 2026, but other markets showed slower growth and mixed demand.NVT trades at a lower forward sales multiple while continuing to expand capacity for future growth. nVent Electric (NVT - Free Report) and Amphenol (APH - Free Report) are two key players in the electrical equipment and connectivity industry. They benefit from growing demand for data centers, electrification and industrial upgrades.
nVent Electric mainly sells electrical enclosures, connections and protection products used across industrial, commercial and infrastructure markets, including data centers. Amphenol designs and manufactures electrical, electronic and fiber-optic connectors and interconnect systems for a wide range of industrial and technology applications.
Both NVT and APH are positioned to benefit from long-term infrastructure and data-center investment trends. However, from an investment point of view, one stock offers a more favorable outlook than the other right now. Let’s break down their fundamentals, growth prospects, market challenges and valuation to determine which stock offers a more compelling investment case.
The Case for nVent Electric StocknVent Electric is benefiting from strong demand for data center infrastructure, which is becoming a major driver of its revenue growth. In the first quarter of 2026, the company reported organic sales growth of 34%, with infrastructure sales rising nearly 80% year over year. Management said data centers were the biggest contributor to growth, helping the company deliver record sales, orders and backlog.
The company is seeing demand across both gray-space and white-space data center applications. In the gray space, growth was driven by engineered buildings, enclosures and power connections. In the white space, liquid cooling, power distribution units and cable management solutions performed well. Management noted that growth was broad-based across the portfolio and supported by demand from hyperscalers, neocloud providers, multitenant operators and distribution partners.
nVent Electric's order trends also remain strong. Organic orders increased about 40% in the first quarter, largely driven by AI data center projects. Backlog reached a record $2.6 billion, rising in the low double digits sequentially. The company stated that most of its backlog extends beyond 12 months and into 2027, providing visibility into future revenues. In the first quarter, new products added more than 20 percentage points to sales growth, with many of those products tied to data center applications.
To support demand, nVent Electric is increasing capacity across its operations, which should help the company generate more revenue once fully ramped up. The company recently opened its new Blaine, MN, facility and expects production to ramp through 2026. It is also investing in additional capacity for liquid cooling and other data center products. Overall, the above-mentioned factors show that data center demand is likely to remain an important revenue growth driver for the company.
The Case for Amphenol StockAmphenol is seeing strong growth from rising investments in AI data centers, on the back of rising demand for the company’s products, which are used to transfer data and power inside AI servers, racks and data centers. In the first quarter of 2026, Amphenol’s IT Datacom segment delivered exceptional results. Sales in the IT Datacom segment increased 99% year over year and 81% organically. The segment accounted for 41% of total company sales, making it Amphenol’s largest business.
Demand for AI-related products remained the biggest growth driver during the first quarter. IT Datacom sales increased 27% sequentially, and 16% on an organic basis. Management noted that virtually all of this organic sequential growth came from AI-related products. Customer demand also remained strong. Amphenol reported record company-wide orders of $9.4 billion and a book-to-bill ratio of 1.24. Management noted that customers continue to increase purchases for AI infrastructure projects and are asking for more products as they expand data center capacity.
The company remains well-positioned to benefit from future AI spending. Amphenol supplies a broad range of high-speed copper, fiber-optic and power interconnect products that are used throughout AI data centers. The recent CommScope acquisition further expanded the company’s fiber and connectivity offerings, allowing it to participate in more areas of the data center architecture. Looking ahead, management expects IT Datacom sales to increase in the low teens sequentially in the second quarter of 2026. The outlook is supported by continued investments in AI data centers as well as healthy demand from enterprise and cloud customers.
While AI-related demand remains very strong, some of Amphenol's other businesses are growing at a much slower pace. In the mobile devices end market, organic sales increased only 1% in the first quarter. Management said growth in laptops and accessories was offset by weaker demand for handsets and wearables. The company expects mobile device sales to decline modestly in the second quarter of 2026 due to normal seasonal patterns.
In communications networks, organic sales were flat year over year. Here, stronger wireless demand was offset by weaker broadband demand. In the second quarter of 2026, sales in this market are expected to remain at first-quarter levels, indicating no meaningful near-term growth. The above-mentioned factors show that most of Amphenol's current growth is coming from AI-related IT datacom products. If AI spending slows, the slower growth in mobile devices and communications networks markets could weigh on the company's prospects in the near term.

Conclusion: NVT Has an Edge Over APHBoth nVent Electric and Amphenol are benefiting from higher spending on AI data centers and infrastructure. However, APH’s near-term prospects suffer from weakness in mobile devices and communications networks end markets, which could limit near-term growth.
In contrast, nVent Electric is experiencing strong demand for data center infrastructure, which is helping drive strong orders and a growing backlog. Further, NVT’s reasonable valuation offers some downside protection as well, making the stock an attractive buy.
Currently, nVent Electric sports a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), giving a clear edge over Amphenol, which carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy). You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank stocks here.
Amphenol (APH) remains a buy, driven by the ongoing AI investment boom despite its expensive valuation. APH is positioned to benefit from AI-driven demand, enabling price hikes and robust free cash flow growth if the AI cycle persists. Risks include heavy China exposure, potential AI bubble burst, and technological shifts that could reduce component demand.
Key Takeaways Envista posted positive growth across major businesses in Q1 2026, led by key dental segments.NVST expanded margins despite higher tariff costs, aided by pricing and supply-chain actions.Envista acquired Versah and launched new implant, aligner and AI-enhanced dental solutions. Envista (NVST - Free Report) shares have shown impressive momentum over the past 12 months, with shares rising 37.1%. The stock has outpaced the industry’s 30.3% fall and the S&P 500 Composite’s 28.2% increase.
Carrying a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) at present, the global dental product company continues to advance its three core priorities. New product innovation is playing a key role in its accelerating growth. Envista’s value-adding acquisitions in core dental categories and favorable solvency are also highly promising.
Headquartered in Brea, CA, Envista Holdings is a global family of more than 30 dental brands, including Nobel Biocare, Ormco, DEXIS and Kerr. The company’s diversified portfolio of solutions covers a broad range of dentists' clinical needs for diagnosing, treating and preventing dental conditions as well as improving the aesthetics of the human smile. Envista serves dental professionals in more than 130 countries through one of the largest commercial organizations in the dental products industry and through distribution partners.
Factors Supporting NVST’s Price RallyThe rally in the company’s share price can be linked to its ongoing strategic progress around three areas — growth, operations and people. The growth priority is built on four pillars. In the first quarter of 2026, all major businesses delivered positive growth, with 8.4% core growth in the Specialty Products & Technologies segment and 11.5% core growth in the Equipment and Consumables segment. The company has been reinvesting to support durable share gains, with sales and marketing and R&D both up double digits and new products central to results. Recent launches included Nobel S Series in implants, the Spark clear aligner launch in Japan and DEXIS software enhancements that add AI-driven workflow and diagnostics tools.
The Envista Business System continued to deliver broad-based operational benefits, supporting gross margin expansion of 100 basis points and adjusted EBITDA margin growth of 120 basis points. Despite a $11 million year-over-year increase in tariff costs, Envista successfully offset the impact through supply chain, G&A and pricing initiatives. The company is advancing its continuous improvement culture, supported by steady gains in employee engagement and talent development.
Developed markets were the key growth engine in first-quarter 2026, with North America and Europe both delivering double-digit gains. Developing markets grew at a high-single-digit rate, excluding softness in China tied to policy uncertainty. The Spark launch in Japan adds a new growth vector in a sizable aligner market where the company already has strong orthodontic relationships, creating a cross-sell opportunity into clear aligners. Management also highlighted continued progress with DSOs and clinician education as levers to deepen penetration.
Envista continues to use M&A to broaden its clinical offering and strengthen go-to-market positions in attractive dental segments. In first-quarter 2026, it acquired Versah for about $54.7 million, adding the Densah Burs system used for osseodensification — a technique designed to improve osteointegration in certain implant indications. This builds on prior acquisitions that expanded implants and imaging, including Osteogenics and the Carestream intraoral scanner business that now operates within the DEXIS portfolio, and supports a more competitive implants platform over time.
The company remains financially strong. As of April 3, 2026, Envista held $1.08 billion of cash and cash equivalents, while current debt was nil. Long-term debt was $1.44 billion, down from $1.45 billion in the previous quarter.
What Ails NVST?China remains a source of uncertainty for the implants business as channel partners continue to adjust inventory levels ahead of the anticipated volume-based procurement process, which management expects to begin between the second and third quarters. Tariffs also remain a cost headwind.
A Glance at NVST’s EstimatesThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for NVST’s 2026 and 2027 earnings per share (EPS) is expected to increase 19.3% and 9.3% year over year, respectively, to $1.42 and $1.55. In the past 60 days, the consensus mark for the company's 2026 EPS has risen 2 cents.
Revenues for 2026 are projected to grow 5.2% to $2.86 billion and another 3.4% to $2.96 billion in 2027.

Key Takeaways OPEN entered contracts on more than 5,000 homes, its strongest acquisition quarter since 2022.OPEN ended the quarter with $999M in cash and $7.1B of non-recourse borrowing capacity.Opendoor said contribution margins improved for six straight months, with EBITDA break-even expected. Opendoor Technologies (OPEN - Free Report) is showing increasing confidence that it can grow acquisition volumes while maintaining the financial discipline needed to achieve profitability. The company’s first-quarter 2026 earnings call highlighted significant progress on both fronts, suggesting that its revamped operating model is beginning to deliver results.
A key indicator is the sharp increase in acquisition activity. Opendoor entered into contracts on more than 5,000 homes during the quarter, its strongest performance since 2022, while home purchases rose 45% sequentially to 2,474 properties. Management noted that this growth is not being fueled by aggressive pricing but by improved underwriting, better customer conversion and new offerings such as cash now, more later.
Just as important, the company appears determined to avoid the capital-intensive mistakes of the past. Opendoor ended the quarter with $999 million in unrestricted cash and emphasized that inventory growth has been accompanied by improving inventory quality and faster resale velocity. Homes on the market for more than 120 days declined to 10% from 51% two quarters earlier, reducing holding costs and improving capital efficiency.
Management also stressed that growth will be supported by existing liquidity and financing capacity rather than by dilutive equity raises. The company has $7.1 billion of non-recourse borrowing capacity available, providing ample room to fund acquisitions while preserving shareholder value.
With contribution margins improving for six straight months and adjusted EBITDA expected to reach break-even in the second quarter, Opendoor believes it can continue to scale acquisitions while remaining disciplined. If these trends persist, the company may be positioned to achieve profitable growth even in a challenging housing market.
Rivals Are Also Pursuing Growth With Financial DisciplineOpendoor operates in a competitive real estate technology market where balancing growth and capital efficiency remains a key challenge. Two notable peers in this space are Offerpad Solutions (OPAD - Free Report) and Zillow Group (ZG - Free Report) .
Offerpad Solutions, another iBuyer-focused company, has adopted a cautious growth strategy following the housing market slowdown. Like Opendoor, Offerpad Solutions has prioritized inventory quality, disciplined home acquisitions and faster inventory turnover to reduce market risk. The company continues to focus on improving unit economics and preserving liquidity rather than pursuing growth at any cost, reflecting a similar emphasis on capital discipline.
Meanwhile, Zillow Group has taken a different approach after shutting down its Zillow Offers home-flipping business in 2021. Instead of owning large inventories of homes, Zillow Group is expanding its asset-light housing ecosystem through services such as mortgages, touring, seller solutions and transaction facilitation. This strategy allows Zillow Group to benefit from housing-market activity while minimizing balance-sheet risk and capital requirements.
While their business models differ, both competitors highlight the industry's broader shift toward profitable growth, operational efficiency and prudent capital allocation.
