Duke Energy čeká za čtvrtletí zisk 1,29 USD na akcii, tedy meziročně o 3,2 % více, při tržbách 7,71 miliardy USD. Analytici navíc po úpravách odhadů vidí šanci na překonání konsenzu.
Duke Energy (DUK - Free Report) is expected to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook gives a good sense of the company's earnings picture, but how the actual results compare to these estimates is a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price.
The stock might move higher if these key numbers top expectations in the upcoming earnings report, which is expected to be released on August 4. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.
While the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call, it's worth handicapping the probability of a positive EPS surprise.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis electric utility is expected to post quarterly earnings of $1.29 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +3.2%.
Revenues are expected to be $7.71 billion, up 2.8% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 2.55% higher over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.
Investors should keep in mind that an aggregate change may not always reflect the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts.
Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise
Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. This insight is at the core of our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction).
The Zacks Earnings ESP compares the Most Accurate Estimate to the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the quarter; the Most Accurate Estimate is a more recent version of the Zacks Consensus EPS estimate. The idea here is that analysts revising their estimates right before an earnings release have the latest information, which could potentially be more accurate than what they and others contributing to the consensus had predicted earlier.
Thus, a positive or negative Earnings ESP reading theoretically indicates the likely deviation of the actual earnings from the consensus estimate. However, the model's predictive power is significant for positive ESP readings only.
A positive Earnings ESP is a strong predictor of an earnings beat, particularly when combined with a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold). Our research shows that stocks with this combination produce a positive surprise nearly 70% of the time, and a solid Zacks Rank actually increases the predictive power of Earnings ESP.
Please note that a negative Earnings ESP reading is not indicative of an earnings miss. Our research shows that it is difficult to predict an earnings beat with any degree of confidence for stocks with negative Earnings ESP readings and/or Zacks Rank of 4 (Sell) or 5 (Strong Sell).
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Duke Energy? For Duke Energy, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +0.16%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.
So, this combination indicates that Duke Energy will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue?Analysts often consider to what extent a company has been able to match consensus estimates in the past while calculating their estimates for its future earnings. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Duke Energy would post earnings of $1.79 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.93, delivering a surprise of +7.82%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates three times.
Bottom LineAn earnings beat or miss may not be the sole basis for a stock moving higher or lower. Many stocks end up losing ground despite an earnings beat due to other factors that disappoint investors. Similarly, unforeseen catalysts help a number of stocks gain despite an earnings miss.
That said, betting on stocks that are expected to beat earnings expectations does increase the odds of success. This is why it's worth checking a company's Earnings ESP and Zacks Rank ahead of its quarterly release. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.
Duke Energy appears a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.
Expected Results of an Industry PlayerAmong the stocks in the Zacks Utility - Electric Power industry, Dominion Energy (D - Free Report) , is soon expected to post earnings of $0.74 per share for the quarter ended June 2026. This estimate indicates a year-over-year change of -1.3%. This quarter's revenue is expected to be $4.06 billion, up 6.6% from the year-ago quarter.
The consensus EPS estimate for Dominion Energy has been revised 3.8% higher over the last 30 days to the current level. However, a lower Most Accurate Estimate has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -5.41%.
This Earnings ESP, combined with its Zacks Rank #4 (Sell), makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Dominion Energy will beat the consensus EPS estimate. The company beat consensus EPS estimates in each of the trailing four quarters.

Akcie Palantiru v úterý klesly asi o 9 % kvůli vybírání zisků a nervozitě před výsledky za 2. čtvrtletí. Tlak zesílil i kvůli širšímu výprodeji akcií navázaných na AI.
Palantir Technologies PLTR shares plunged about 9% on Tuesday after gaining roughly 5% in the previous session, as investors locked in profits and reassessed risks ahead of the company's second-quarter earnings report due on Aug. 3.
The 5% bump had come after Oppenheimer reaffirmed its Outperform rating and maintained a $200 price target ahead of the company's second-quarter earnings report.
The stock was trading around $120 following the decline today.
The weakness came amid a broader selloff across artificial intelligence-linked technology stocks, with the Nasdaq 100 Index on track to enter correction territory as investors questioned whether massive AI spending will generate sufficient returns.
The technology-heavy benchmark fell 1.7% during Tuesday's session, putting it on course for a decline of more than 10% from its recent peak, the conventional definition of a market correction.
According to Bloomberg, it took only 38 trading days for the index to reach that threshold, compared with more than 100 sessions during its previous correction in March following the October 2025 record high.
As a constituent of the Nasdaq 100, Palantir was also caught in the broader technology retreat even as analysts remained optimistic about its long-term growth prospects.
The sharp decline also reflected a classic "buy the rumor, sell the news" pattern ahead of earnings, said Investing.com.
Investor sentiment was further dented after a Seeking Alpha analyst downgrade published on Monday evening argued that Palantir's valuation of roughly 38 times forward sales appeared difficult to justify amid concerns over slowing commercial revenue growth and signs that enthusiasm around AI capital expenditure is beginning to moderate.
The pullback adds to growing scrutiny over Palantir's premium valuation, despite the company's rapid revenue expansion and strong demand for its artificial intelligence software platform.
Additional pressure came from reports that prominent investor Michael Burry had increased his bearish position against the company ahead of earnings, drawing renewed attention to valuation risks.
Citigroup also reduced its price target on the stock to $200 from $225 earlier this week, citing multiple compression.
Recent insider transactions have also weighed on sentiment, including reports that Palantir's chief technology officer sold approximately $24 million worth of shares, while one company director disposed of more than $2 million in stock.
Analysts remain positive ahead of resultsDespite the recent weakness, Wall Street analysts continue to expect another strong quarter.
Oppenheimer said Palantir could exceed second-quarter revenue expectations and again raise its full-year guidance.
The brokerage expects continued demand for the company's AI software from both US government agencies and commercial customers.
Palantir heads into earnings after delivering record first-quarter revenue of $1.6 billion, an increase of 85% from a year earlier.
US commercial revenue climbed 133% to $595 million, while US government revenue rose 84%.
Management also increased its full-year revenue outlook to between $7.7 billion and $7.7 billion.
Analysts now want to see whether the company can continue expanding at a pace that supports its premium valuation.
Baird also reaffirmed its Outperform rating and maintained a $200 price target ahead of the earnings release.
The brokerage expects second-quarter revenue growth to accelerate for a 12th consecutive quarter, supported by continued strength across both the US Commercial and US Government businesses.
It noted that Palantir generated 68% revenue growth over the past 12 months while maintaining a gross profit margin of 84%.
Baird also expects estimates for both 2026 and 2027 to continue moving higher.
The firm said it is using $8 billion in free cash flow for 2027 as a reasonable upside scenario, compared with its current estimate of $6.7 billion.
While acknowledging recent volatility, Baird described the current consolidation as an attractive buying opportunity for investors seeking exposure to long-term AI growth.
The brokerage added that Palantir continues to grow into its valuation even as the broader technology sector experiences heightened volatility.

Etsy, Inc. (ETSY - Free Report) is taking a meaningful step forward in its artificial intelligence strategy by expanding beyond traditional recommendation engines into conversational experiences that directly support buyers and sellers. Rather than treating AI as a standalone feature, the company is integrating it across the marketplace to improve discovery, simplify decision-making, and reduce operational friction.
The buyer-facing conversational agent focuses on gift discovery, enabling shoppers to describe what they are looking for in natural language rather than relying solely on keyword searches. At the same time, Etsy has introduced a seller-focused agent that combines marketplace insights to help merchants make better business decisions, access relevant resources and streamline operations. These initiatives complement the company's broader investments in AI-powered discovery and matching, AI-generated buyer profiles and machine learning models that better connect shoppers with relevant inventory.
Beyond on-site tools, Etsy is also expanding its reach through off-site agentic commerce, partnering with major tech platforms including OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google. Recent developments include building an integrated Etsy App in ChatGPT and leveraging external channels to capture top-of-funnel traffic and drive high-intent shoppers directly to its marketplace.
By deploying conversational AI, Etsy is accelerating product development cycles, enabling new features to be built and iterated in weeks rather than months. This agility enables the platform to deepen buyer engagement, streamline seller operations and build a unique competitive advantage centered on personalization and human connection.
How eBay & Shopify Compare With EtsyeBay Inc. (EBAY - Free Report) is also embedding artificial intelligence deeper into its marketplace, but its strategy is centered on enhancing buyer engagement and seller productivity within its ecosystem. eBay has introduced Agentic Search, expanded AI-powered listing tools and strengthened personalized discovery experiences, with early testing showing higher search engagement and stronger purchase behavior. Shopify Inc. (SHOP - Free Report) is taking the most aggressive approach toward agentic commerce among e-commerce platforms. Shopify is enabling merchants to sell seamlessly across AI-powered channels such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Google while advancing the Universal Commerce Protocol to support open agentic commerce. Early results are encouraging, with AI-driven traffic and orders rising sharply as merchants benefit from structured product data and unified commerce infrastructure. By positioning Shopify as the commerce backbone for AI agents, Shopify is aiming to capture long-term growth as conversational shopping becomes increasingly mainstream.

Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise
Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. Our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) -- has this insight at its core.
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Pinterest? For Pinterest, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +1.65%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #4.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Pinterest will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Pinterest would post earnings of $0.22 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.27, delivering a surprise of +22.73%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates two times.

An Industry Player's Expected ResultsCCC Intelligent Solutions Holdings Inc. (CCC - Free Report) , another stock in the Zacks Internet - Software industry, is expected to report earnings per share of $0.1 for the quarter ended June 2026. This estimate points to a year-over-year change of +11.1%. Revenues for the quarter are expected to be $284.16 million, up 9.1% from the year-ago quarter.
The consensus EPS estimate for CCC Intelligent Solutions has remained unchanged over the last 30 days. However, a lower Most Accurate Estimate has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -37.93%.
When combined with a Zacks Rank of #3 (Hold), this Earnings ESP makes it difficult to conclusively predict that CCC Intelligent Solutions will beat the consensus EPS estimate. Over the last four quarters, the company surpassed consensus EPS estimates three times.

Regeneron čeká ve 2. čtvrtletí 2026 vyšší zisk z Dupixentu a silná poptávka po Eylea HD a Libtayo. Tržby Eylea mají dál klesat, ale růst Eylea HD to má vyrovnat.
Key Takeaways Regeneron's Q2 may benefit from higher Dupixent profits and strong Eylea HD and Libtayo demand.REGN expects Eylea pressure to be offset by Eylea HD growth, label expansions and Lynozyfic uptake.Regeneron expanded buyback capacity and may provide updates alongside key pipeline progress. Investors will focus on profits from asthma drug Dupixent and sales of Eylea HD and Libtayo when biotech giant Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (REGN - Free Report) , reports second-quarter 2026 results on July 30.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for sales and earnings is pegged at $3.84 billion and $10 per share, respectively.
REGN’s Earnings Surprise HistoryThe company’s earnings beat estimates in each of the trailing four quarters, delivering an average surprise of 26.33%. In the last reported quarter, REGN beat on earnings by 11.15%.
What Our Model Predicts for REGNOur proven model predicts an earnings beat for Regeneron this time around. The combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold) increases the odds of an earnings beat. This is the case here, as you will see below.
Earnings ESP: Earnings ESP for REGN is +1.22% as the Zacks Consensus Estimate is pegged at $10 per share, while the Most Accurate Estimate is pinned at $10.13. You can uncover the best stocks before they're reported with our Earnings ESP Filter.
Zacks Rank: The company currently carries a Zacks Rank of 3.
Dupixent Profits Likely to Have Offset Eylea Decline in Q2A significant chunk of Regeneron’s revenues used to come from the sale of its lead drug, Eylea, which is approved for various ophthalmology indications (neovascular age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema and macular edema, among others). Eylea was developed in collaboration with pharma giant Bayer.
While Regeneron records net product sales of Eylea in the United States, Bayer does the same outside the country. The company also records its share of profits/losses in connection with Eylea sales outside the country.
However, Eylea’s sales have been under pressure in recent quarters due to competition from Vabysmo and continued transition of patients to Eylea HD. Sales are likely to have declined in the second quarter as well.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Eylea sales in the United States is currently pegged at $388 million.
To counter the decline in Eylea sales, Regeneron developed a higher dose of the drug. The initial uptake of Eylea HD has been strong as Eylea patients transition to the higher dose.
Sales of Eylea HD are likely to have surged in the to-be-reported quarter on strong demand. This, in turn, is likely to have resulted in an increase in total Eylea franchise sales. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Eylea HD sales in the United States is currently pegged at $548 million.
In November 2025, the FDA approved Eylea HD injection 8 mg for the treatment of patients with macular edema following retinal vein occlusion (RVO) with up to every eight-week dosing after an initial monthly dosing period.
The regulatory body also approved a monthly dosing option for some patients who may benefit from resuming this dosing schedule across approved indications — wet age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, diabetic retinopathy and RVO.
These label expansions are likely to have boosted drug sales.
Apart from Eylea, profits from the sales of asthma drug Dupixent are a primary growth driver for REGN. Regeneron has a collaboration agreement with Sanofi (SNY - Free Report) for drugs like Dupixent and Kevzara. While Sanofi records sales, Regeneron registers its share of profits in connection with the global sales of the aforementioned drugs.
Dupixent sales have likely increased driven by strong demand in all approved indications (atopic dermatitis, asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis, eosinophilic esophagitis, prurigo nodularis, chronic spontaneous urticaria, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bullous pemphigoid). Hence, Regeneron is likely to have earned incremental profits from Dupixent in the to-be-reported quarter.
Meanwhile, Regeneron is also looking to diversify its revenue base to reduce its dependence on Eylea for top-line growth and build an oncology franchise, which currently comprises Libtayo and some newly approved drugs.
Growth in Libtayo’s sales has also boosted the top line in recent quarters. Libtayo sales are being driven by strong demand in advanced cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC) and advanced non-small cell lung cancer, along with early contributions from its adjuvant CSCC indication, which secured FDA approval in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The trend has likely continued in the second quarter. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Libtayo’s sales is currently pegged at $451 million.
Operating expenses have also likely increased in the quarter due to pipeline advancement and higher commercialization-related expenses related to Eylea HD and Libtayo.
The FDA had earlier approved linvoseltamab-gcpt for the treatment of relapsed or refractory (R/R) multiple myeloma (MM). The drug was granted accelerated approval by the FDA under the brand name Lynozyfic. It is also approved in the European Union (EU) to treat adults with R/R MM after at least three prior therapies, including a proteasome inhibitor, an immunomodulatory agent and an anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody.
Sales from this drug came in at $11 million in the first quarter. The company likely witnessed a sequential increase in the second quarter.
During the first quarter of 2026, the company repurchased $803 million of its common stock. As of March 31, 2026, it had $688 million remaining under its existing share repurchase authorization. In April 2026, the board approved a new $3.0 billion share repurchase program, significantly expanding its buyback capacity.
A decrease in the number of shares outstanding is likely to have boosted the bottom line. Investors will look forward to updates on the share buyback program.
REGN’s Key Pipeline UpdatesIn April 2026, the FDA granted accelerated approval to Otarmeni (lunsotogene parvec, formerly DB-OTO), the first therapy cleared under the FDA Commissioner's National Priority Voucher program. Otarmeni is an adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector-based gene therapy approved for pediatric and adult patients with severe-to-profound hearing loss caused by variants in the OTOF gene.
The FDA and the European Medicines Agency have accepted regulatory applications for cemdisiran to treat adults with generalized myasthenia gravis who are anti-acetylcholine receptor antibody-positive. The FDA granted Priority Review to the new drug application, with a target action date in November 2026 following the use of a Priority Review Voucher. A decision from the European Commission is expected in the second half of 2027.
REGN’s Share Price PerformanceRegeneron’s shares have lost 13.6% year to date against the industry’s growth of 1.8%.

The company said all personnel at the Japan site were confirmed safe after being evacuated in accordance with internal safety procedures.
"Post-earthquake structural inspections have been completed, confirming that the structures are safe and operations are gradually resuming. Detailed inspections and impact assessments are ongoing," it said in an emailed statement.

Last week, the company reported second-quarter results that comfortably beat expectations, with revenue growing at a rapid clip and management confident enough to raise its full-year outlook. Despite that, the stock barely moved and is trading just above its pre-earnings level, while still deep in the red for the year, weighed down by a narrative that its own results keep contradicting.
Get ServiceNow alerts:
For investors willing to look past the fear, however, that disconnect may be creating one of the more interesting opportunities in enterprise software.
The Fear Weighing on the StockTo understand the opportunity, it helps to understand the fear. Like with many traditional software stocks, ServiceNow has been caught up in the software sector's "existential AI problem"—the worry that AI agents will eventually do the work software handles today, reducing the need for the companies that make it.
It's the same anxiety that has hammered enterprise software valuations across the board this year, and on paper, ServiceNow looks like an obvious target. Much of its business has historically been sold on a per-seat basis, exactly the model the bears argue is most exposed to AI disruption. That fear has pushed the stock sharply lower over the course of the year, even as the underlying business has continued to grow.
What the Report Actually ShowedThe thing is, though, rather than showing any sign of core demand evaporating, ServiceNow's latest results pointed in the opposite direction. Revenue grew more than 24% year-over-year, its fastest pace in more than two years, and management made it clear with raised forward guidance that they’re expecting this momentum to stick around.
These metrics would be flashing red if AI were truly eroding the business, as the bears have been saying. Instead, ServiceNow’s large deal activity actually accelerated, with a sharp year-over-year increase in the number of major new contracts signed, and customer renewal rates remained near the very top of what any software company could hope for.
Perhaps most importantly, ServiceNow's own AI offerings crossed a major milestone during the quarter, passing $1 billion in annual contract value. As we’ve seen with some of its peers, ServiceNow is far from a victim of AI; it has actually been quietly becoming one of its beneficiaries.
Why AI May Be an Opportunity, Not a ThreatThis gets to the heart of why the disruption thesis may have it backward. Rather than being displaced by AI, ServiceNow is steadily shifting its model to sell it, moving from purely per-seat pricing toward a consumption-based approach that charges for the AI work its platform performs.
That's a crucial distinction. Under a consumption model, the more AI-driven work customers run through the platform, the more ServiceNow earns, which turns the very technology that bears fear into a fresh growth engine. Instead of AI shrinking the amount customers pay ServiceNow, it could expand it, and early adoption figures suggest that shift is already gaining real traction.
In that context, the question is no longer whether ServiceNow can survive the rise of AI agents, but how much additional revenue it can generate by powering them.

For all those promising signs, however, the market has been slow to update its view. The stock sold off in the aftermath of last week’s report, but is already up nearly 15% from those lows, and, importantly, above its pre-earnings level.
That’s a promising sign for those of us willing to lean into the bullish thesis, as is the fact that the analyst community certainly hasn't lost faith. Following the results, the likes of Evercore, UBS Group and Sanford Bernstein all reiterated bullish ratings, and the stock carries a healthy consensus rating of Moderate Buy on MarketBeat.
Indeed, some of the recently refreshed price targets are nearly reason enough to consider getting involved, like UBS Group’s $248 target, which implies as much as 125% upside from current levels. For those looking to get in on the ground floor of what could be the mother of all comebacks, this is what an entry opportunity looks like.

Broadcom zvýšil dividendu 15 čtvrtletí po sobě a za deset let ji téměř 13násobil. Ve 2. čtvrtletí fiskálního roku 2026 dosáhl volný cash flow 10,3 miliardy USD a dividenda z něj ukrojila asi 30 %.
At first glance, Broadcom (AVGO -0.39%) hardly looks like a dividend stock. The chip and infrastructure software giant pays $2.60 per share in annual dividends, and with the stock closing Friday at $381.92, that works out to a dividend yield of just 0.68%. Put $10,000 into the stock today, and you collect about $68 a year. Not too exciting.
But a current yield is just a snapshot, and snapshots don't show motion. What the 0.68% hides is a dividend that has been raised for 15 consecutive years and has multiplied nearly 13-fold over the past decade.
While this dividend's astounding growth isn't guaranteed to persist, it speaks to the quality of the underlying business.

From a nickel to $0.65 Ten years ago, Broadcom's quarterly dividend was $0.51 per share. Adjusted for the company's 10-for-1 stock split in 2024, that's about a nickel. Today, the quarterly payout is $0.65. That's nearly 13 times the split-adjusted level of mid-2016, which works out to an annualized growth rate of about 29%.
To be fair, that decade includes one exceptional leap. In December 2016, Broadcom's board doubled the payout in a single stroke.
The pace has settled down since. Over the past five years, the quarterly dividend has climbed from a split-adjusted $0.36 to $0.65, about 12.5% annualized. The latest increase, announced in December alongside the company's fiscal fourth-quarter results, was 10%.
Growth in the 10% to 12% range may sound ordinary next to that 29% figure. But it adds up. A dividend compounding at 12% doubles about every six years -- and Broadcom has sustained double-digit increases while pouring money into acquisitions and its artificial intelligence (AI) chip business.
The cash behind the raises A dividend is only as good as the cash flow covering it, so the first thing I check is how easily the company pays its bill.
In its fiscal second quarter of 2026 (ended May 3, 2026), Broadcom generated $10.3 billion of free cash flow, an enormous 46% of its $22.2 billion in revenue. Dividend payments during the quarter came to $3.1 billion -- about 30% of that free cash flow, leaving plenty behind. Indeed, Broadcom put another $600 million into share repurchases during the period.
Measured against earnings, the annual dividend runs at about 43% of the past year's earnings per share.
Part of what makes that coverage so comfortable is Broadcom's business model. Unlike the cloud giants spending tens of billions of dollars on data centers each quarter, Broadcom designs chips and sells infrastructure software. Its capital expenditures in the quarter were just $231 million against $10.5 billion of operating cash flow.
And the growth engine funding future raises is accelerating. Broadcom's fiscal second-quarter revenue rose 48% year over year, powered by AI semiconductor revenue of $10.8 billion, up 143%.
"The momentum continues and in Q3 we expect semiconductor revenue from AI to grow over 200 percent year-over-year to $16.0 billion," said CEO Hock Tan in the fiscal second-quarter earnings release.

Of course, there are caveats. Dividend growth could slow if AI spending cycles turn or if management prioritizes acquisitions.
And the stock itself is priced for its AI growth, not its dividend. Shares trade at about 64 times earnings, a price that assumes the extraordinary AI momentum continues. Anyone buying today is paying growth-stock prices and receiving the dividend as a small bonus.
So no, Broadcom won't solve anyone's income needs this year. But this is what the early years of a big income stream tend to look like. The yield is small, the share of cash flow committed is low, and the board keeps raising the payout while the business underneath compounds.
Given a long enough time, Broadcom could transform into a powerful dividend stock.
GSK překonala odhady za 2. čtvrtletí díky silným vakcínám a akcie vystřelily na tříměsíční maximum. Tržby vzrostly o 5 % na 8,41 miliardy £ a upravený EPS o 9 % na 50,5 p.
GSK PLC (LSE:GSK, NYSE:GSK) shares jumped to a three-month high after the drugmaker beat second-quarter expectations across its main measures and accelerated investment in its pipeline.
Revenue rose 5% to £8.41 billion, ahead of the £8.25 billion City consensus. Adjusted earnings per share increased 9% to 50.5p, beating the 46.8p forecast by almost 8%.
Vaccines sales grew 8% to £2.28 billion, compared with expectations of £2.1 billion. Shingrix revenue reached £888 million, topping the £867.8 million consensus, while sales of respiratory syncytial virus vaccine Arexvy more than doubled.
Specialty Medicines also performed strongly, with sales up 14%. Respiratory, Immunology & Inflammation advanced 19%, Oncology rose 17% and HIV increased 10%. General Medicines declined 9%, however.
GSK reaffirmed its full-year guidance, expecting sales growth in the upper half of its 3%-5% range and core operating profit growth in the upper half of its 7%-9% range. Core earnings growth is forecast in the lower half of the 7%-9% range.
The company plans to more than double its phase III trial starts this year to over 20, accelerating seven late-stage assets across 18 indications. It also said it remains "on track" to generate more than £40 billion of annual sales by 2031.
A three-year restructuring programme was announced, targeting £1.9 billion of annual savings by 2029, with most reinvested in research and development.
Statutory operating profit fell 75% after a £1.3 billion impairment linked mainly to cough drug camlipixant. GSK declared a 17p quarterly dividend.
The shares surged 6% to 2,080p, their highest since mid-April.
Analysts at Jefferies hailed a second quarter "of good quality", with vaccines and specials more than offsetting softer general medicines.
"Better product mix more than offsets higher opex leaving core operating income 5% ahead and core EPS 7% beat."
The cost-cutting plan was seen as "surprisingly strong", about double what was expected.
"The aim of the program is to protect the margin through the patent cliff but also to restructure the business and move R&D from Stevenage to Cambridge. With over double the number of Phase III trial initiations expected in 2026 to 20+, reinvestment will be part of it but this is a strong and unexpected move."

Roblox čeká za 2. čtvrtletí tržby téměř 1,59 miliardy USD a ztrátu 33 centů na akcii. Růst má podpořit vyšší zapojení uživatelů, ale ziskovost mohou dál tlačit investice.
Key Takeaways Roblox is expected to benefit from higher user engagement, spending and international growth.RBLX is expanding AI tools, creator features and communication capabilities to boost monetization.Higher investment spending and slower bookings growth may continue to pressure profitability. Roblox Corporation (RBLX - Free Report) is scheduled to report second-quarter 2026 results on July 30, after the closing bell.
RBLX’s earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate in each of the trailing four quarters, with an average surprise of 20.5%.
Trend in the Estimate Revision of RBLXThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter loss is currently pegged at 33 cents per share, narrower than the loss of 41 cents reported in the prior-year quarter.
For revenues, the consensus mark is pinned at nearly $1.59 billion. The metric implies an increase of 10.6% from the year-ago quarter’s figure.
Let’s take a look at how things have shaped up in the quarter.
Factors Likely to Shape Roblox’s Q2 ResultsRoblox's second-quarter 2026 top line is likely to have benefited from sustained user spending and healthy engagement across its platform. Management noted that monetization and retention remained resilient despite softer new-user additions, indicating that existing users continued to spend at solid levels.
A larger base of monthly unique payers, stronger engagement across a wider range of experiences beyond the top 10 games and improving content diversity might also have supported bookings. In addition, robust user growth in international markets, particularly Japan and India, along with steady expansion in the United States and Canada, is likely to have provided an additional boost to revenues.
Revenue growth might also have been supported by Roblox's continued investments in platform innovation and creator tools. The rollout of AI-powered development capabilities, enhancements to game discovery that prioritize long-term engagement, and new communication features such as Global Chat and integrated party chat were designed to improve the user experience. At the same time, initiatives aimed at attracting higher-spending adult users, including enhanced creator incentives for 18+ experiences and partnerships with established game studios, are expected to have contributed to stronger monetization during the quarter.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the Daily Active Users is currently pegged at approximately 128.2 million, up from 111.8 million reported in the year-ago quarter. Meanwhile, hours engaged are expected to come in at 33.2 billion, compared with 27.4 billion in the prior-year period.
Profitability is likely to have been pressured by elevated investment spending and lower operating leverage. Management indicated that slower growth in bookings would reduce fixed-cost absorption, while increased investments in proprietary AI capabilities, cloud infrastructure and higher DevEx payouts for qualifying 18+ creators are expected to have weighed on margins. Although these initiatives are intended to strengthen Roblox's long-term growth prospects, they are likely to have constrained bottom-line performance in the second quarter.

CrowdStrike, Fortinet a Palo Alto Networks všechny překonaly odhady a zvýšily výhled, protože firmy kvůli rostoucím kyberhrozbám dál přesouvají rozpočty do bezpečnostních platforem.
Cyber threats are escalating faster than most enterprise budgets can absorb, and the platform vendors capturing the largest share of that spend are pulling away from the pack. AI-generated phishing, ransomware, and identity attacks are pushing CISOs toward consolidated security stacks.
That is showing up cleanly in the numbers for the three names below. Each is US-listed on Nasdaq, each posted a beat-and-raise quarter, and each has a defensible moat that will benefit them in the second half of 2026.
CrowdStrike (CRWD) CrowdStrike (NASDAQ:CRWD | CRWD Price Prediction) is the AI-security bellwether, and Q1 FY27 confirmed the recovery from the July 2024 Falcon sensor incident is complete on the operating side. Revenue hit $1.39 billion, up 25.6% year over year, beating the $1.36 billion consensus. Non-GAAP EPS of $1.10 topped the $1.07 estimate, marking eight consecutive EPS beats. Net new ARR came in at a record Q1 $255.8 million, up 32%, pushing total ARR to $5.51 billion, up 24%. Free cash flow reached $468.5 million, a 34% FCF margin.
The bull case is platform depth. 51% of customers now run six or more modules, Charlotte AI is monetizing, and the QuiltWorks coalition with OpenAI and Anthropic positions Falcon as connective tissue for enterprise AI deployments. CEO George Kurtz framed the quarter bluntly: “In Q1, the worlds of cybersecurity and frontier AI collided: this was the Mythos moment. CrowdStrike is AI security infrastructure, critical to successful AI adoption.” Management raised FY27 revenue guidance to $5.91 billion to $5.96 billion. The stock split 4-for-1 on July 2, and shares are up 60.45% year to date on a split-adjusted basis.
Risk: Legal and remediation costs tied to the 2024 outage still linger, stock-based comp ran $317.6 million in Q1, and forward valuation is rich at roughly 159x forward earnings. That is the price of leadership.
Fortinet (FTNT) Fortinet (NASDAQ:FTNT) is the value-relative name in this trio, and the Q1 FY26 report made the hardware refresh cycle impossible to ignore. Revenue of $1.85 billion rose 20.1% year over year and cleared consensus by 6.68%. Non-GAAP EPS came in at 82 cents versus the 62-cent estimate, a 32.26% surprise, the largest beat in five quarters. Product revenue jumped 41% to $645.1 million, billings grew 31% to $2.09B, and free cash flow hit a record $1.01 billion.
Fortinet holds the #1 firewall position with 55% unit market share, and FortiOS 8.0 introduced AI-driven and quantum-safe capabilities alongside the new FortiGate G Series. Partnerships with Anthropic (Project Glasswing), OpenAI, NVIDIA and Google Unified Security widen the SASE and AI security surface area. Margins are best-in-class: 80.8% gross margin, 30.6% operating margin and 27.3% net margin. Management raised FY26 revenue guidance to $7.71 billion to $7.87 billion.
Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Palo Alto Networks didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.
Shares are up 95.5% year to date, trading at roughly 53x forward earnings. CEO Ken Xie summarized the setup: “Billings grew 31% year over year, driven by the continued convergence of networking and security, an approach Fortinet has led for 26 years, and by an increasingly complex threat environment that is being intensified by AI.”
Risk: Tariff exposure and longer enterprise sales cycles could pressure the hardware line if macro softens.
Palo Alto Networks (PANW) Palo Alto Networks (NASDAQ:PANW) is the platformization story, and Q3 FY26 was the clearest evidence yet that the strategy is working. Revenue of $3 billion grew 31.1% year over year, beating the $2.94B consensus. Non-GAAP EPS landed at 85 cents versus the 80 cents expected. The signature metric, Next-Generation Security ARR, reached $8.1 billion, up 60% year over year. Remaining performance obligation climbed to $18.4 billion, up 36%. Free cash flow of $788 million supported a trailing 12-month adjusted FCF margin of 38.5%, and management is targeting 40% by FY28.
The CyberArk and Chronosphere acquisitions contributed $388 million to Q3 revenue, extending Palo Alto into identity and observability. CEO Nikesh Arora tied the momentum directly to AI: “Q3 was a standout quarter for Palo Alto Networks, with accelerating organic bookings growth as customers turn to us to secure their AI deployments at scale.” Q4 revenue guidance of $3.345B to $3.355B implies roughly 32% growth. Shares are up 78.54% year to date.
Risk: Q3 carried a GAAP operating loss of $183 million because of acquisition-related costs, share-based comp ran $517 million, and the trailing P/E sits at roughly 257. Integration risk on CyberArk and Chronosphere is the swing variable through fiscal year-end.
What to Watch Next The July setup favors the platform leaders. Ransomware activity is intensifying, enterprises are consolidating vendors, and the three names above are converting that shift into ARR, FCF and raised guidance. Watch net new ARR at CrowdStrike, product revenue at Fortinet as the hardware refresh runs, and NGS ARR at Palo Alto Networks for confirmation that the second-half thesis holds.

While investors closely watch year-over-year changes in headline numbers -- revenue and earnings -- and how they compare to Wall Street expectations to determine their next course of action, some key metrics always provide a better insight into a company's underlying performance.
Since these metrics play a crucial role in driving the top- and bottom-line numbers, comparing them with the year-ago numbers and what analysts estimated about them helps investors better project a stock's price performance.

Devon Energy čeká za čtvrtletí zisk 1,30 USD na akcii, což je meziročně o 54,8 % více, při tržbách 6,3 miliardy USD. Konsensus navíc naznačuje, že firma může odhady překonat.
Devon Energy (DVN - Free Report) is expected to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended June 2026.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis oil and gas exploration company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $1.30 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +54.8%.
Revenues are expected to be $6.3 billion, up 47% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 9.03% lower over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.
Investors should keep in mind that the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts may not always get reflected in the aggregate change.
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Devon Energy? For Devon Energy, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +0.61%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.
So, this combination indicates that Devon Energy will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Devon Energy would post earnings of $1 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.04, delivering a surprise of +4.00%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates four times.
Devon Energy appears a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.
Expected Results of an Industry PlayerVitesse Energy (VTS - Free Report) , another stock in the Zacks Oil and Gas - Exploration and Production - United States industry, is expected to report earnings per share of $0.06 for the quarter ended June 2026. This estimate points to a year-over-year change of -90%. Revenues for the quarter are expected to be $90.9 million, up 11.2% from the year-ago quarter.
The consensus EPS estimate for Vitesse has been revised 22.2% lower over the last 30 days to the current level. However, an equal Most Accurate Estimate has resulted in an Earnings ESP of 0.00%.
This Earnings ESP, combined with its Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell), makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Vitesse will beat the consensus EPS estimate. Over the last four quarters, the company surpassed EPS estimates just once.

SLB čeká v roce 2026 asi 30% růst konečných investičních rozhodnutí u dlouhodobých projektů, tažený hlubokomořskou těžbou a průzkumem. Digitální tržby ve 2. čtvrtletí vzrostly o 18 % na 697 milionů USD.
Key Takeaways SLB expects long-cycle project decisions to rise about 30% in 2026, led by deepwater and exploration.SLB's digital revenue rose 18% to $697 million, while margin expanded to 27.8% in the second quarter.ChampionX added $865 million to Production Systems revenue, as Middle East disruption hit near-term results. SLB (SLB - Free Report) is leaning more heavily on three growth engines as the oilfield services cycle resets: international and offshore activity, digital adoption and a broader production-focused portfolio.
Those drivers give the company a clearer path into 2027, but the near-term setup is uneven. Middle East disruption, weaker year-over-year earnings and elevated net debt continue to weigh on the outlook.
SLB’s Offshore Scale Supports the Next UpcycleEnergy security, reserve replacement and supply diversification are supporting upstream investment across both short- and long-cycle markets. SLB expects final investment decisions for long-cycle projects to rise about 30% year over year in 2026, led by deepwater activity and higher exploration spending.
That matters because SLB has broad exposure to exploration, deepwater development, production and recovery. Excluding the Middle East, second-quarter revenues increased sequentially across all divisions, helped by higher offshore activity in Brazil, Guyana, Mexico, Scandinavia and Nigeria.
Halliburton Company (HAL - Free Report) remains a key oilfield services peer for investors tracking drilling and completion activity. Baker Hughes Company (BKR - Free Report) is also relevant to the broader energy technology and services discussion, particularly where upstream activity intersects with infrastructure and equipment demand.
Digital Growth Expands SLB’s Margin OpportunityDigital was one of SLB’s clearest bright spots in the second quarter. Segment revenues increased 18% year over year to $697 million, while pretax operating income rose 27% to $194 million.
The margin story was stronger than the revenue gain. Digital pretax operating margin expanded 187 basis points year over year to 27.8%, supported by exploration data licenses and transfer fees, improved profitability in Digital Operations and better performance in Platforms & Applications.
SLB also benefited from rising software-as-a-service-based revenues, even as perpetual license sales declined. Annualized recurring revenue for the Digital division reached $1.04 billion as of June 30, 2026, up 15% year over year, giving the business a more durable revenue base.
SLB Adds Production Depth Through ChampionXChampionX expands SLB’s reach in production chemicals, artificial lift and technologies tied to recovery and asset-life extension. That aligns with customer priorities around improving production from existing assets rather than only developing new resources.
Production Systems revenues increased 29% year over year to $3.77 billion in the second quarter. Still, the headline gain needs context. ChampionX contributed $865 million of Production Systems revenues, and excluding the acquisition impact, Production Systems revenues declined 1% year over year.
Sequentially, the division showed better operating traction. Revenues rose 7%, while adjusted EBITDA increased 14%, helped by OneSubsea activity and higher sales of artificial lift, valves, surface production systems and completions.
Middle East Risks Cloud SLB’s Near-Term OutlookThe Middle East remains the largest near-term uncertainty. Middle East revenues fell 13% sequentially to $1.66 billion in the second quarter as conflict-related disruption constrained activity.
Reservoir Performance and Well Construction absorbed much of the pressure. Reservoir Performance revenues declined 2% sequentially, while Well Construction revenues also fell 2%, with the Middle East disruption partly offset by stronger activity elsewhere.
Management’s third-quarter base case assumes gradual remobilization. A renewed escalation that keeps Middle East revenues flat could lower third-quarter revenues by about $150 million and adjusted EBITDA by about $75 million relative to the base case.
SLB’s Earnings Surprise Record Adds SupportSLB has exceeded the Zacks Consensus Estimate in the past four quarters, delivering an average earnings surprise of 4.94%. Such consistent earnings outperformance highlights the company's operational strength despite the cyclical nature of the energy industry.

SLB’s Signals Point to a Cautious SetupSLB’s growth case is visible, but the stock’s current setup remains cautious. Offshore momentum, digital expansion and ChampionX-related production depth are offset by earnings sensitivity, Middle East uncertainty and net debt of $8.7 billion.
The stock currently carries a Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell), which signals a weak short-term earnings outlook. SLB has a Value Score of B, showing relative valuation appeal, but that is not reinforced by its Growth Score of D or Momentum Score of F.
You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.
The composite VGM Score of C indicates a mixed profile across value, growth, and momentum characteristics. For now, SLB’s longer-cycle opportunities remain meaningful, but the Zacks Rank and weaker style-score mix argue for caution until earnings growth and momentum improve.
Ecolab (ECL - Free Report) came out with quarterly earnings of $2.09 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.08 per share. This compares to earnings of $1.89 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.
This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of +0.48%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this cleaning, food-safety and pest-control services company would post earnings of $1.7 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.7, delivering no surprise.
Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates three times.
Ecolab, which belongs to the Zacks Chemical - Specialty industry, posted revenues of $4.42 billion for the quarter ended June 2026, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 0.40%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $4.03 billion. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates four times over the last four quarters.
The sustainability of the stock's immediate price movement based on the recently-released numbers and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's commentary on the earnings call.
Ecolab shares have added about 3.4% since the beginning of the year versus the S&P 500's gain of 8.3%.
What's Next for Ecolab? While Ecolab has underperformed the market so far this year, the question that comes to investors' minds is: what's next for the stock?
There are no easy answers to this key question, but one reliable measure that can help investors address this is the company's earnings outlook. Not only does this include current consensus earnings expectations for the coming quarter(s), but also how these expectations have changed lately.
Empirical research shows a strong correlation between near-term stock movements and trends in earnings estimate revisions. Investors can track such revisions by themselves or rely on a tried-and-tested rating tool like the Zacks Rank, which has an impressive track record of harnessing the power of earnings estimate revisions.
Ahead of this earnings release, the estimate revisions trend for Ecolab was unfavorable. While the magnitude and direction of estimate revisions could change following the company's just-released earnings report, the current status translates into a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell) for the stock. So, the shares are expected to underperform the market in the near future. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.
It will be interesting to see how estimates for the coming quarters and the current fiscal year change in the days ahead. The current consensus EPS estimate is $2.15 on $4.7 billion in revenues for the coming quarter and $8.18 on $17.88 billion in revenues for the current fiscal year.

T. Rowe Price čeká za 2. čtvrtletí vyšší zisk i tržby než před rokem. Předběžná aktiva ve správě dosáhla 1,89 bilionu USD a čisté přílivy činily 0,8 miliardy USD.
Key Takeaways T. Rowe Price is expected to post higher Q2 earnings and revenues than in the year-ago quarter.TROW's preliminary June 30 AUM reached $1.89 trillion, with quarterly net inflows of $0.8 billion.TROW faces higher technology, distribution and compensation costs despite ongoing cost-management efforts. T. Rowe Price Group, Inc. (TROW - Free Report) is scheduled to report second-quarter 2026 results on July 31, before the opening bell. The company’s quarterly earnings and revenues are expected to have increased from the year-ago reported levels.
In the last reported quarter, TROW’s results benefited from higher investment advisory fees and a rise in assets under management. Positive capital allocation-based income was also encouraging. However, higher expenses acted as a headwind.
T. Rowe Price’s earnings outpaced the Zacks Consensus Estimate in three of the trailing four quarters and missed once, the average surprise being 4.88%.
Key Factors & Estimates for TROW in Q2In the April-June quarter, the S&P 500 Index rose more than 14%, driven by strong performance in U.S. equities, particularly AI-related technology stocks and resilient global markets. As such, TROW’s assets under management (AUM) are likely to have witnessed decent growth in the quarter to be reported.
Investor flows may have been uneven across asset classes, with continued demand for exchange-traded funds, private-market strategies and customized investment solutions. However, persistent fee pressure and the shift toward lower-cost passive products are likely to have constrained revenue growth for traditional active managers. Per the company’s monthly metrics data, its net inflows were $0.8 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
The company’s preliminary AUM of $1.89 trillion as of June 30, 2026, rose marginally from the prior month’s reported level.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for total AUM is pegged at $1.91 trillion, indicating a sequential rise of 11.7%.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for investment advisory fees is pegged at $1.73 trillion, suggesting a rise of 2.7% on a sequential basis.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for administrative, distribution and servicing fees of $149 million implies an increase of 7.9% from the prior quarter’s actual.
Coming to expenses, T. Rowe Price continues to incur significant expenditure to attract investment advisory clients and additional investments from existing clients. The company is also investing heavily in technology, distribution and employee compensation to keep pace with evolving customer needs and strengthen its platform. This is expected to have increased its expenses in the quarter to be reported. However, the company's cost-management efforts are likely to have offset the rise to some extent.
What the Zacks Model Unveils for TROWOur proven model does not conclusively predict an earnings beat for TROW this time around. This is because the company does not have the right combination of the two key elements, a positive Earnings ESP and Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold).

Performance of Other Asset ManagersBlackRock’s (BLK - Free Report) second-quarter 2026 adjusted earnings of $13.91 per share handily surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $12.72. The figure reflects a 15% rise from the year-ago quarter’s actual.
BLK’s results benefited from a rise in revenues. The AUM balance witnessed robust year-over-year growth, driven by net inflows, to record levels. However, higher expenses created a headwind.
Blackstone’s (BX - Free Report) second-quarter 2026 distributable earnings of $1.52 per share outpaced the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.33. The figure jumped 26% from the prior-year quarter.
BX’s results benefited from a rise in AUM and higher revenues. An increase in GAAP expenses was the undermining factor.
Upstart Holdings čeká za čtvrtletí zisk na akcii 0,58 USD a tržby 354,89 milionu USD, obojí meziročně výrazně výše. Analytici ale varují, že Earnings ESP je -13,79 %.
The market expects Upstart Holdings, Inc. (UPST - Free Report) to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook is important in assessing the company's earnings picture, but a powerful factor that might influence its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.
The stock might move higher if these key numbers top expectations in the upcoming earnings report, which is expected to be released on August 4. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.
While management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call will mostly determine the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations, it's worth having a handicapping insight into the odds of a positive EPS surprise.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $0.58 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +61.1%.
Revenues are expected to be $354.89 million, up 37.9% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has remained unchanged over the last 30 days.
Our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) -- has this insight at its core.
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Upstart? For Upstart, the Most Accurate Estimate is lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bearish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -13.79%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Upstart will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue?Analysts often consider to what extent a company has been able to match consensus estimates in the past while calculating their estimates for its future earnings. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Upstart would post earnings of $0.39 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.30, delivering a surprise of -23.08%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates two times.
Upstart doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.
An Industry Player's Expected ResultsPiper Sandler Companies (PIPR - Free Report) , another stock in the Zacks Financial - Miscellaneous Services industry, is expected to report earnings per share of $0.85 for the quarter ended June 2026. This estimate points to a year-over-year change of +14.9%. Revenues for the quarter are expected to be $430.53 million, up 6.2% from the year-ago quarter.
Over the last 30 days, the consensus EPS estimate for PIPER SANDLR CP has remained unchanged. Nevertheless, the company now has an Earnings ESP of +4.14%, reflecting a higher Most Accurate Estimate.
When combined with a Zacks Rank of #4 (Sell), this Earnings ESP makes it difficult to conclusively predict that PIPER SANDLR CP will beat the consensus EPS estimate. The company beat consensus EPS estimates in each of the trailing four quarters.

The Energy Trade Is Bigger Than Oil Prices: 3 Stocks to Buy and 2 to SellJetBlue Airways NASDAQ: JBLU said second-quarter revenue rose 10.9% from a year earlier as demand remained resilient across its network, including premium and main-cabin products, despite higher fares and operational disruptions from thunderstorms, air traffic control staffing constraints and elevated fuel prices.
Chief Executive Officer Joanna Geraghty said the airline’s JetForward turnaround plan continued to produce measurable financial benefits. JetBlue generated $165 million of incremental EBIT from the program in the first half of 2026, bringing cumulative benefits to $470 million. The company reiterated its expectation for at least $310 million of incremental EBIT from JetForward this year.

Travel Demand Soars Despite Fuel Costs—Are Airline Stocks a Buy?“JetForward is doing exactly what we said it would do,” Geraghty said, adding that the airline expects the initiative to support a return to sustained operating profitability in 2027.
Outlook Restored as Demand Holds Up JetBlue restored its full-year outlook after withdrawing it in the prior quarter amid a rapidly changing external environment. The company now expects a full-year operating margin between negative 2% and negative 5%, with the midpoint implying second-half operating-margin improvement of about 3.5 percentage points from a year earlier.
Work and Play: Investing in the Rise of Bleisure TravelFor the third quarter, JetBlue forecast capacity growth of 3% to 6% year over year and revenue per available seat mile, or RASM, growth of 12.5% to 16.5%. For the full year, it projected capacity growth of 1.5% to 3.5% and RASM growth of 10% to 12.5%.
President Marty St. George said consumer demand remained strong throughout the booking curve, including close-in travel, and that the trend had continued into the third quarter. He said JetBlue did not see material signs that higher fares were reducing demand.
The company said it recovered nearly 50% of higher fuel costs through pricing and capacity actions during the second quarter, above its previous expectation of at least 40%. JetBlue continues to target 100% fuel-cost recapture by early 2027, assuming demand remains strong.
Using the forward fuel curve as of July 10, Chief Financial Officer Ursula Hurley said the airline expected fuel prices of $3.49 per gallon for both the third quarter and full year. JetBlue widened its operating-margin outlook range because of fuel-price volatility.
Fort Lauderdale Expansion Takes Center Stage JetBlue is concentrating its incremental network growth in Fort Lauderdale, where it has moved to expand following Spirit Airlines’ exit from the market. The airline expects to operate more than 150 daily flights from Fort Lauderdale by the end of 2026 or early 2027, representing its largest schedule ever at the airport and its largest Mint presence there.
Fort Lauderdale revenue increased 11% in the second quarter despite capacity growth of nearly 40%, according to St. George. The airline recently introduced a more structured schedule with two southbound and two northbound banks intended to improve connections to the Caribbean and Latin America.
JetBlue said all of its net capacity growth in the second half is expected to come from Fort Lauderdale, while capacity across the rest of the network is expected to decline year over year. The company reduced its fourth-quarter schedule by approximately one point in mid-July as fuel prices rose.
The airline is working with Broward County Aviation Department on additional gate leases, although St. George said international arrivals remain constrained at the airport. JetBlue is also pursuing a return to LaGuardia Airport’s Marine Air Terminal, which executives said would offer lower operating costs than Terminal B.
BlueFirst and Loyalty Initiatives Expected to Build JetBlue plans to begin selling its new domestic first-class product, BlueFirst, this fall. St. George said the first aircraft equipped with BlueFirst may not be monetized, but the airline expects to begin selling the product once a second aircraft enters service. Most retrofit work is expected to be completed by the end of 2027, with the full revenue and margin contribution building in 2028 and beyond.
At full run rate, JetBlue expects BlueFirst to support nearly five points of RASM growth. St. George said the contribution will be minimal in the fourth quarter of 2026 and that a full run rate is more likely in late 2028 or 2029.
The company also reported momentum in loyalty. New card acquisitions rose nearly 40% during the quarter, while loyalty remuneration increased 21%. In South Florida, TrueBlue enrollments grew 44% and co-brand acquisitions more than doubled year over year.
JetBlue said its Blue Sky partnership reached a milestone in May with reciprocal loyalty benefits for elite members. Paisly, the company’s travel-products platform, has begun distributing United’s car-rental products through the Paisly-powered Miles+ travel offering and plans to add hotel offerings later this year.
Costs, Liquidity and Longer-Term Targets Second-quarter CASM excluding fuel increased 2.4% year over year, about 1.5 points better than the midpoint of JetBlue’s guidance. The airline expects third-quarter CASM ex-fuel growth of 2.5% to 4.5% and full-year growth of 2% to 4%.
Hurley cited digital tools, technology modernization and broader use of data science in operations as key sources of cost savings. JetBlue said it expects non-fuel unit-cost growth to moderate in the second half as JetForward savings initiatives take hold.
The company completed a $500 million aircraft-backed financing transaction during the quarter and ended the period with $2.2 billion in cash and investment securities, excluding a $600 million undrawn credit facility. Hurley said the financing carried an average rate of 6.5% and includes a $250 million accordion feature at the same rate.
JetBlue also reached an initial $105 million settlement with Pratt & Whitney covering 2024 and 2025 disruptions. Hurley said 80% of the settlement will reduce operating expense through the end of 2027, while 20% will reduce capital expenditures. About 25% of the settlement is expected to affect 2026, with the remainder affecting 2027.
Looking further ahead, JetBlue expects JetForward to generate $850 million to $950 million of incremental EBIT by the end of 2027 and approximately $1.2 billion annually in 2028 and beyond. The company said it targets at least $1 in earnings per share in 2028, based on continued demand strength and an assumed average jet-fuel price of $3 per gallon.

Ovintiv zvýšil výhled těžby pro rok 2026 na 630–645 tisíc barelů ropného ekvivalentu denně, aniž by zvedl kapitálové výdaje. Ve 2. čtvrtletí vrátil akcionářům asi 63 % volného peněžního toku.
Key Takeaways Ovintiv is focusing on the Permian and Montney to support durable production and free cash flow.OVV raised 2026 production guidance while keeping capital investment guidance unchanged.OVV returned about 63% of second-quarter non-GAAP free cash flow through buybacks and dividends. Ovintiv Inc. (OVV - Free Report) is leaning on a more concentrated North American portfolio, with the Permian and Montney central to its investment case.
The key question is whether stronger well performance, deeper drilling inventory and disciplined capital spending can support durable production and free cash flow through commodity cycles.
Ovintiv Builds Around Two Core BasinsThe Permian and Montney have become Ovintiv’s principal growth and return engines after the company closed the sale of its Anadarko assets. The two basins now anchor a portfolio built around liquids-rich drilling and repeatable development programs.
In the second quarter, Permian production averaged 231 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day, with 78% liquids. Montney output averaged 374 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day, with 27% liquids.
Diamondback Energy (FANG - Free Report) provides a Permian-focused comparison point because its activity is centered on unconventional oil and gas development in that basin. Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNQ - Free Report) offers a broader Canadian energy reference for investors assessing Western Canada exposure.
OVV Extends Its Premium Inventory RunwayInventory depth is a central part of the OVV story. Management estimates 12-15 years of premium oil inventory in the Permian and 15-20 years in the Montney.
Since 2023, Ovintiv has added more than 3,200 core Permian and Montney locations at an average cost of less than $1.4 million per net 10,000-foot location. It has also already replaced its fiscal 2026 activity through organic additions.
That matters because reserve replacement is one of the biggest long-term questions for shale producers. Organic additions and bolt-on opportunities can reduce the need for more disruptive portfolio moves while improving visibility.
Ovintiv Raises Output Without More SpendingOvintiv raised its full-year 2026 production guidance without increasing its capital investment plan. Total production is now expected to average 630-645 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day, while oil and condensate output is projected at 210-212 thousand barrels per day.
Capital investment guidance remains unchanged at $2.25 billion-$2.35 billion. This shows that better well productivity and base-production performance are doing more of the work.
The Permian was a key driver. Management raised the play’s go-forward run rate to 125 thousand barrels per day, supported by new well results and stronger base production.
OVV Balances Growth With Shareholder ReturnsOvintiv generated $682 million of non-GAAP free cash flow in the second quarter after capital expenditures of $574 million. Cash from operating activities was $1.6 billion, while non-GAAP cash flow was about $1.3 billion.
The company returned roughly 63% of second-quarter free cash flow to shareholders. That included about $345 million of share repurchases and $84 million of dividend payments.
For full-year 2026, Ovintiv expects shareholder returns to exceed 60% of non-GAAP free cash flow. Net debt of about $3 billion and net debt to adjusted EBITDA of 0.6X give the company flexibility to balance buybacks, dividends and drilling.
Ovintiv Still Faces Commodity and Execution RisksCommodity exposure remains the main risk. Oil and gas price volatility can quickly affect cash flow, margins and the pace of shareholder returns.
Regional gas prices also remain a concern. Weak AECO pricing limited the revenue impact of lower Montney gas volumes in the second quarter, while Waha exposure remains a watch item for Permian operators.
Execution risk has not disappeared. Planned Montney plant turnarounds weighed on natural gas production, and newer techniques such as artificial intelligence, surfactants and cube development must continue producing consistent results across a wider acreage base.
OVV Scores Support a Balanced ViewThe bottom line is that Ovintiv’s Permian and Montney assets give investors a clearer operational story than a broader, less focused portfolio would. Stronger well performance and a longer premium inventory runway support the case for durable production and cash flow.
OVV currently carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). That ranking points to a balanced stance, especially with commodity and execution risks still part of the thesis. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.
The stock has a Value Score of A, Growth Score of A and VGM Score of A, which support the valuation and operating-growth side of the case. Its Momentum Score of F reflects weaker near-term trading signals, making the setup less unequivocally bullish.
Rivian ve 2. čtvrtletí vyrobil 12 613 vozů a dodal 12 194, čímž překonal výhled 9 000 až 11 000. Firma zároveň zvýšila celoroční výhled dodávek na 65 000 až 70 000.
Rivian Automotive (RIVN -0.79%) will next report earnings post-market on Thursday, July 30. Shares in the electric vehicle (EV) company have traded sideways in recent months. Will this upcoming event drive the next big move for shares?
I wouldn't bet on it. After all, Rivian already reported delivery numbers earlier this month for the preceding quarter. Barring major changes to guidance or the company's efforts to scale up production of its lower-priced R2 line of vehicles, it's questionable whether earnings represent a turning point for this electric car stock.
That said, for long-term growth stocks like this one, it's best to stay focused on the big picture, rather than near-term volatility.

Rivian Automotive Q2 2026 earnings preview Again, investors aren't completely in the dark about how Rivian performed during the quarter ending June 30, 2026. On July 2, the EV maker released its Q2 2026 production and delivery figures. In Q2, Rivian produced 12,613 vehicles and delivered 12,194 vehicles.
These figures exceeded its prior delivery outlook of 9,000 to 11,000 vehicles, largely thanks to the successful launch of the aforementioned R2 vehicle line. Alongside strong delivery figures, management also raised its full-year delivery guidance from 62,000 to 67,000 vehicles to 65,000 to 70,000 vehicles.
While this may give credence to analyst forecasts calling for a 20% jump in sales during Q2 -- from $1.3 billion to around $1.56 billion -- it's unclear what increased deliveries mean for the bottom line. Per the same analyst forecasts, Rivian is expected to report GAAP losses of $0.78 per share for Q2 2026.
However, as GAAP losses came in far narrower than expected in Q1 2026, with reported losses of $0.30 per share versus a consensus of $0.72 per share, I wouldn't rule out the potential for positive surprises. The same could play out, with any updates to Rivian's full-year financial outlook.

The best move with this EV stock Even if Rivian reports something surprising, such as far lower-than-expected losses or materially improved full-year guidance, it may not have the bullish impact on shares you might expect. For one, uncertainty about this stock goes beyond whether it can continue to scale up into a profitable automaker.
Whether improved results spark a rebound is another question entirely. As Rivian relies on the dilutive sale of newly issued shares to fund expansion, an increased share count could water down the positive impact of reaching profitability. Investors are still digesting Rivian's recent $1.5 billion capital raise.
Further tapping into this dilutive funding source puts pressure on both areas in the near term while limiting long-term upside. As this key risk persists, existing investors should hold on but wait for further developments regarding growth funding before increasing their positions. Those who have yet to buy Rivian shares may also want to wait until management answers these questions, rather than chasing this automotive stock after a post-earnings rally or pullback.
Incyte ve 2. čtvrtletí zvýšila čisté tržby z produktů na 1,49 miliardy USD, meziročně o 40 %, a zvedla celoroční výhled tržeb na 5,13 až 5,26 miliardy USD.
Can Incyte Deliver on 447% EPS Forecasts and Pipeline Hype?Incyte NASDAQ: INCY reported second-quarter 2026 net product sales of $1.49 billion, up 40% from a year earlier, supported by demand growth across its marketed portfolio and a one-time non-cash benefit tied to the resolution of a CMS matter involving OPZELURA.
Excluding the $246 million one-time benefit, total net sales increased 17% year over year, Chief Executive Officer Bill Meury said on the company’s earnings call. Meury said every marketed product recorded year-over-year growth in both U.S. and international markets.

5 top healthcare stocks for earnings growth in 2024The company raised its full-year 2026 total net sales outlook to a range of $5.13 billion to $5.26 billion. It also increased OPZELURA sales guidance and narrowed and raised its outlook for the hematology and oncology portfolio.
Jakafi Remains Foundational as Other Products Expand Jakafi second-quarter sales were $817 million, up 7% from the prior-year period. Prescription demand increased 9% across myelofibrosis, polycythemia vera and graft-versus-host disease, with polycythemia vera serving as the largest growth driver, Meury said.
Argenx's 28% Surge & Promising Product Propel Investor ConfidenceIncyte recently launched Jakafi XR, an extended-release version of the product. Jakafi XR generated $10 million in second-quarter sales, primarily from initial inventory build. The company expects full-year XR sales of approximately $40 million to $50 million, included within its broader Jakafi guidance.
Mohamed Issa, executive vice president and head of U.S. Commercial, said payer reimbursement has begun and several major insurers have placed Jakafi XR on formulary. Incyte is targeting 50% to 70% formulary coverage by year-end and expects the extended-release product to represent roughly 3% to 5% of demand by December.
Sales from Incyte’s business excluding Jakafi totaled $671 million, up 127% year over year. Excluding the one-time OPZELURA benefit, the segment grew 44%. Meury said the company remains on track toward its objective of generating $3 billion to $4 billion in net sales from the core business excluding Jakafi by 2030.
OPZELURA Benefit Lifts Guidance OPZELURA contributed $450 million in second-quarter sales, including $204 million in net product sales and the $246 million non-cash benefit associated with the CMS settlement and the reversal of previously accrued balances related to Medicaid rebate litigation.
U.S. OPZELURA sales excluding the one-time benefit rose 22% to $161 million. Prescription volume increased 26%, compared with 21% growth for the overall market, according to Meury. The company said OPZELURA captured 46% of branded topical new prescription volume.
The CMS resolution improved the product’s average selling price and gross-to-net profile, Meury said. He said the gross-to-net rate moved from the low 60% range to the high 50% range. Incyte now expects $1.05 billion to $1.10 billion in full-year OPZELURA sales, including an estimated $300 million to $310 million impact from the settlement.
International OPZELURA sales rose 34% to $43 million. The company expects a final European Commission decision for OPZELURA in moderate atopic dermatitis during the third quarter after receiving a positive opinion from the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use in June.
Hematology and Oncology Portfolio Gains Momentum Hematology and oncology sales increased 69% to $222 million. Niktimvo generated $60 million in sales, up 67%, with more than 300 new patients initiating therapy during the quarter and more than 1,200 patients treated. Incyte said it holds approximately one-third of the third-line-and-beyond market.
MONJUVI sales increased 72% to $54 million, driven primarily by uptake in follicular lymphoma in international markets, including Japan following a recent approval and launch. ZYNYZ sales rose fourfold to $50 million, with the company reporting more than a 40% share in first-line squamous cell carcinoma of the anal canal in the U.S. 12 months after launch.
Incyte narrowed and raised its 2026 hematology and oncology sales forecast to $860 million to $890 million.
Pipeline Updates Include Vega Acquisition and Program Discontinuation The company said it has advanced 13 of 15 planned pivotal studies, with the remaining two expected to begin by year-end. Regulatory reviews are ongoing for povorcitinib in hidradenitis suppurativa and tafasitamab in newly diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, with potential approvals and launches beginning later in 2026 and extending into 2027.
Incyte also acquired Vega Therapeutics, adding latarcibart, a phase III treatment candidate for von Willebrand disease. Pablo Cagnoni, Incyte’s president and global head of research and development, said data from the VIVID-3 study showed an 81% median reduction in annualized bleeding rate across patients with different von Willebrand disease subtypes and bleeding types. Top-line data from the phase III VIVID-6 trial are expected by early 2029.
Meanwhile, Incyte discontinued development of its 058 program targeting JAK2 V617F in myeloproliferative neoplasms. Cagnoni said the company concluded that the molecule did not demonstrate the profile needed to be a differentiated therapy, though Incyte continues to view JAK2 V617F as an important target and is prioritizing next-generation programs.
The company plans to present expanded early-stage data for its KRAS G12D inhibitor, INCB161734, its TGF-beta receptor 2 by PD-1 bispecific antibody, and its CDK2 inhibitor at the European Society for Medical Oncology Congress in October.
Expenses Rise With Development Investment and Vega Transaction GAAP operating expenses were $976 million in the quarter, up 42% from a year earlier. Incyte said the comparison reflected a lower prior-year expense base following a $242 million Novartis settlement in the second quarter of 2025. Excluding that favorable adjustment, operating expenses rose 5%.
GAAP research and development expense increased 4% to $517 million, while selling, general and administrative expense rose 6% to $352 million, driven in part by pre-launch activities for povorcitinib. The company ended the quarter with $4.5 billion in cash and cash equivalents, including the impact of the Vega acquisition completed in July.
Incyte raised its 2026 GAAP R&D and SG&A expense outlook to $4.915 billion to $4.995 billion. The revised forecast includes approximately $1.27 billion related to the Vega transaction’s upfront in-process research and development payment and transaction costs, as well as roughly $50 million for continued phase III development of latarcibart.

Wall Street expects a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when Kratos (KTOS - Free Report) reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. While this widely-known consensus outlook is important in gauging the company's earnings picture, a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis military contractor is expected to post quarterly earnings of $0.13 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +18.2%.
Revenues are expected to be $411.69 million, up 17.1% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 5.88% higher over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.
Investors should keep in mind that the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts may not always get reflected in the aggregate change.
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Kratos? For Kratos, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +11.70%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #4.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Kratos will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Kratos would post earnings of $0.13 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.16, delivering a surprise of +23.08%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates four times.
Kratos doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.
An Industry Player's Expected ResultsAnother stock from the Zacks Aerospace - Defense Equipment industry, Voyager Technologies, Inc. (VOYG - Free Report) , is soon expected to post loss of $0.95 per share for the quarter ended June 2026. This estimate indicates a year-over-year change of -58.3%. Revenues for the quarter are expected to be $48.43 million, up 6% from the year-ago quarter.
Over the last 30 days, the consensus EPS estimate for Voyager Technologies, Inc. has remained unchanged. Nevertheless, the company now has an Earnings ESP of +6.32%, reflecting a higher Most Accurate Estimate.
When combined with a Zacks Rank of #3 (Hold), this Earnings ESP indicates that Voyager Technologies, Inc. will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate. Over the last four quarters, the company surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times.
Stay on top of upcoming earnings announcements with the Zacks Earnings Calendar.
Paccar (PCAR - Free Report) came out with quarterly earnings of $1.43 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.33 per share. This compares to earnings of $1.37 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.
This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of +7.52%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this truck maker would post earnings of $1.13 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.15, delivering a surprise of +1.77%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times.
Paccar, which belongs to the Zacks Automotive - Domestic industry, posted revenues of $7 billion for the quarter ended June 2026, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 1.49%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $6.96 billion. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates two times over the last four quarters.
The sustainability of the stock's immediate price movement based on the recently-released numbers and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's commentary on the earnings call.
Paccar shares have added about 21.9% since the beginning of the year versus the S&P 500's gain of 8.3%.
What's Next for Paccar? While Paccar has outperformed the market so far this year, the question that comes to investors' minds is: what's next for the stock?
There are no easy answers to this key question, but one reliable measure that can help investors address this is the company's earnings outlook. Not only does this include current consensus earnings expectations for the coming quarter(s), but also how these expectations have changed lately.
Empirical research shows a strong correlation between near-term stock movements and trends in earnings estimate revisions. Investors can track such revisions by themselves or rely on a tried-and-tested rating tool like the Zacks Rank, which has an impressive track record of harnessing the power of earnings estimate revisions.
Ahead of this earnings release, the estimate revisions trend for Paccar was mixed. While the magnitude and direction of estimate revisions could change following the company's just-released earnings report, the current status translates into a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) for the stock. So, the shares are expected to perform in line with the market in the near future. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

Aebi Schmidt Holding AG's revenues are expected to be $468.4 million, up 68.7% from the year-ago quarter.
Woodward má ve 3. čtvrtletí fiskálního roku 2026 vykázat tržby 1,11 mld. USD, což je meziročně o 21,73 % více. Tahounem mají být divize Aerospace a Industrial.
Key Takeaways WWD is expected to report Q3 fiscal 2026 revenue of $1.11 billion, up 21.73% year over year.Woodward's demand is supported by aerospace aftermarket activity and industrial market momentum.WWD is expanding capacity, repair capabilities and service partnerships while investing in manufacturing. Woodward, Inc. (WWD - Free Report) is scheduled to report third-quarter fiscal 2026 results on Wednesday.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues is $1.11 billion, which implies an increase of 21.73% from the year-ago reported number. The consensus mark for earnings is pegged at $2.39 per share, indicating a year-over-year increase of 35.8%.
WWD’s earnings outpaced the Zacks Consensus Estimate in each of the trailing four quarters, with the average surprise being 16.97%.
Woodward’s shares have gained 60.7% compared with the Aerospace Defense Equipment industry’s growth of 11.3% in the past year.
Factors to Note Ahead of WWD’s Q3 ResultsWWD’s fiscal third-quarter performance is likely to have been supported by continued strength across both its Aerospace and Industrial segments, driven by robust demand and higher output. Commercial Services is expected to remain a key growth driver, supported by continued high utilization of legacy aircraft, higher repair volumes and increasing LEAP and GTF aftermarket activity.
On the last earnings call, management stated that spare LRU orders for the third quarter are in line with the first two quarters, with no slowdown in repair inputs or customer order rates. Commercial OEM demand has also remained healthy as aircraft production aligns with current build rates, while defense OEM sales continue to benefit from JDAM pricing and steady defense demand. The company also expects OEM growth to contribute more meaningfully in the second half of fiscal 2026.
Woodward’s Industrial segment continues to benefit from momentum across oil & gas, transportation and power generation markets. Rising investment in gas-powered generation and increasing demand for both base-load and backup power generation for data centers remain key growth drivers. Marine transportation demand has been supported by higher shipyard output and services activity, while oil and gas growth is being driven by greater midstream and downstream investments. Management also highlighted that multiple customers have recently increased their long-term demand forecasts for power generation products, prompting evaluations of additional capacity expansion. China On-Highway last-time-buy volumes are expected to contribute roughly $30 million in third-quarter sales before winding down further.
We expect revenues from the Aerospace segment to increase 22.4% to $729.4 million and from the Industrial segment to increase 17.5% to $375.5 million for the fiscal third quarter.
The company continues to expand capacity through the Spartanburg and Glatten projects, increase LEAP and GTF repair capabilities, strengthen its service network through partnerships with Lufthansa Technik, Air France-KLM and AAR, and optimize its portfolio through the Valve Research acquisition, pilot controls divestiture and servo valve production relocation.
Favorable pricing, higher volumes and ongoing operational excellence initiatives continue to support margins. However, Woodward is making strategic investments in manufacturing capabilities, automation, ERP implementation and research and development for next-generation aircraft platforms, which are expected to continue. Inflationary pressures, supply-chain constraints and broader geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainty remain concerns.
Recent Key DevelopmentsOn July 21, 2026, Woodward inaugurated its expanded manufacturing facility in Glatten, Germany, increasing production capacity for high-speed fuel injection systems by 50%. The 3,000-square-meter expansion features advanced automation, digital manufacturing technologies and Lean practices to improve productivity, flexibility and competitiveness, supporting growing demand across power generation, marine transportation and oil & gas markets.
On the same day, Woodward signed an Elite Licensed Repair Service Facility (LRSF) agreement with HAECO, authorizing the MRO provider to deliver OEM-approved repair, maintenance and overhaul services for Woodward components used in CFM International LEAP-1A, LEAP-1B and LEAP-1C engines. The partnership expands Woodward’s global support network, strengthens HAECO’s presence in Asia-Pacific and mainland China, and enhances access to high-quality repair solutions for the rapidly growing LEAP engine fleet.

Weyerhaeuser čeká za 2. čtvrtletí tržby 1,79 miliardy USD, tedy meziročně o 4,7 % méně. Firma varuje, že divize Wood Products sníží zisk asi o 20 milionů USD kvůli dopravním problémům.
Key Takeaways WY may benefit from stronger construction activity, lumber demand and higher Wood Products volumes.Wood Products profit may fall $20 million from Q1 as transport issues raise costs and cut volumes.Second-quarter sales are pegged at $1.79 billion, down 4.7%, as higher input costs may pressure margins. Weyerhaeuser Company (WY - Free Report) is slated to report second-quarter 2026 results on July 30, after the closing bell.
In the last reported quarter, Weyerhaeuser reported mixed results with adjusted earnings topping the Zacks Consensus Estimate, while revenues marginally missed the same. Year over year, the bottom line remained flat while the top line declined. The quarter’s tone was shaped by a sharp sequential recovery in profitability, with adjusted EBITDA jumping to $308 million, helped by a sizeable conservation easement transaction and improved results across operating segments.
Weyerhaeuser’s earnings beat the consensus mark in all the last four quarters, with the average surprise being 102.9%.
How Are Estimates Placed for Weyerhaeuser Stock? The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the to-be-reported quarter’s earnings per share (EPS) has decreased to 8 cents from 11 cents over the past 30 days. In the year-ago quarter, the company had reported an EPS of 12 cents.
The consensus mark for net sales is pegged at $1.79 billion, indicating a 4.7% year-over-year decline.
Factors Influencing WY’s Q2 ResultsManagement expects Timberlands (which accounted for approximately 28.5% of first-quarter 2026 net sales) earnings and adjusted EBITDA to be broadly comparable with the first quarter. Western domestic log pricing is projected to have improved modestly, while export markets in Japan and China are expected to have remained stable at subdued levels. In the South, relatively stable sawlog demand should offset continued softness in fiber markets.
We expect the Timberlands segment’s net sales to decline 6.5% to $494.8 million. Adjusted EBITDA is expected to decline 21.4% from a year ago to $119.5 million.
Within Wood Products (which accounted for approximately 67.4% of first-quarter 2026 net sales), while the company had previously expected second-quarter earnings and adjusted EBITDA to be comparable with the first quarter, excluding the impact of changes in lumber and oriented strand board (OSB) sales realizations, it now expects both metrics to be approximately $20 million lower than first-quarter levels on the same basis. Management attributed the weaker outlook to lower-than-expected lumber sales volumes and higher unit manufacturing costs, with transportation constraints disrupting production and reducing operating efficiency.
Overall, the updated outlook suggests that Timberlands and Strategic Land Solutions are performing broadly in line with expectations, while operational disruptions in Wood Products are likely to have weighed on second-quarter profitability, even before considering the impact of lumber and OSB price movements.
Our model predicts the Wood Products segment’s net sales to decline 8% year over year to $1.25 billion in the second quarter. Adjusted EBITDA is expected to grow 22.9% from a year ago to $124.1 million.
For the Strategic Land Solutions segment (formerly Real Estate, Energy & Natural Resources) — which accounted for approximately 12% of first-quarter 2026 sales — management still expects second-quarter earnings to be approximately $80 million lower than the first quarter and adjusted EBITDA to decline by roughly $70 million sequentially. This reflects the anticipated timing of real estate transactions and other activities within the segment rather than any deterioration in underlying business conditions.
Our model predicts the segment’s net sales to be $186.7 million, up 21.2% year over year. Adjusted EBITDA is expected to be down 15.6% from a year ago to $120.7 million.
Inflationary Costs May Continue to Pressure Margins: Despite stronger seasonal demand, profitability could remain constrained by higher transportation, fuel and raw-material costs. Planned maintenance outages at three OSB mills, higher resin prices and elevated fiber costs are expected to have weighed on manufacturing margins. Export operations also face higher shipping costs due to geopolitical disruptions, although management expects operational efficiencies and pricing actions to offset part of these pressures.

SPX Technologies čeká za 2. čtvrtletí růst tržeb o 15,1 % na 635,64 mil. USD a zisku na akcii o 12,1 % na 1,85 USD. Tahounem má být poptávka po HVAC a chlazení datových center.
Key Takeaways SPXC is expected to post second-quarter revenue growth, supported by HVAC and Detection & Measurement demand.SPXC is likely to benefit from data center cooling demand, capacity expansions and acquisition contributions.SPXC's earnings are expected to grow on higher volumes despite tariff and expansion cost headwinds. SPX Technologies, Inc. (SPXC - Free Report) is scheduled to report second-quarter 2026 results on July 30, after the closing bell.
In the last reported quarter, its earnings and revenues surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 9% and 2.5%, respectively. Also, on a year-over-year basis, both metrics grew 22.5% and 17.4%, respectively.
The company’s earnings surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate in each of the trailing four quarters, with an average surprise of 9.7%.
SPXC Q2 Earnings & Revenue ExpectationsThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for SPXC’s second-quarter earnings has decreased to $1.85 from $1.86 per share in the past 30 days. The estimated figure indicates a 12.1% increase on a year-over-year basis.
The consensus estimate for revenues is pegged at $635.64 million, indicating a 15.1% year-over-year rise.
Factors Likely to Shape SPX Technologies’ Quarterly ResultsRevenuesSPX Technologies' second-quarter revenues are expected to have increased year over year, supported by healthy demand across its HVAC and Detection & Measurement businesses. Growth is likely to have been driven by continued strength in data center cooling solutions, contributions from recent acquisitions and steady organic growth across key end markets. Capacity expansions across HVAC facilities and increasing production of newly introduced products are also expected to have supported higher shipments during the quarter.
Demand for data center cooling solutions is likely to have remained a key growth driver, supported by expanding customer investments in AI infrastructure and hyperscale data centers. Continued progress on capacity expansion projects, along with healthy demand across core HVAC markets and steady momentum in Detection & Measurement, is expected to have supported the company's top-line performance. Contributions from recent acquisitions are also likely to have provided an incremental boost to revenues during the to-be-reported quarter.
EarningsSPX Technologies' earnings are expected to have increased year over year, supported by higher sales volumes, favorable operating leverage and continued benefits from recent acquisitions. Productivity improvements, disciplined execution and a favorable business mix are also likely to have supported profitability during the quarter. The company's focus on operational execution and integration of acquired businesses is expected to have further strengthened earnings performance.
However, earnings growth is likely to have been partially offset by higher costs associated with HVAC capacity expansion projects and the impact of Section 232 tariffs, which management expects to be concentrated in the second quarter. While pricing actions and other mitigation initiatives are expected to have reduced part of the tariff-related impact, these measures are unlikely to have fully offset the near-term cost headwinds during the quarter.

Other Stocks With the Favorable CombinationHere are three other companies in the Zacks Construction sector, which, according to our model, have the right combination of elements to post an earnings beat.
Boise Cascade Company (BCC - Free Report) has an Earnings ESP of +6.50% and a Zacks Rank of 2 at present. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank stocks here.
Boise Cascade’s earnings beat estimates in two of the last four quarters, missed on one occasion and met on the remaining occasion, the average surprise being 40.8%. The company’s earnings for the second quarter of 2026 are expected to decline 25% year over year.

The company's earnings beat estimates in each of the last four quarters, the average surprise being 4%. Amentum’s earnings for the second quarter of 2026 are expected to increase 12.5% year over year.
CRH plc (CRH - Free Report) has an Earnings ESP of +4.08% and a Zacks Rank of 3.
The company's earnings beat estimates in two of the last four quarters, missed on one occasion and met on the remaining occasion, the average surprise being 0.7%. CRH’s earnings for the second quarter of 2026 are expected to inch up 1% year over year.
United Rentals zvýšil celoroční výhled po silném 2. čtvrtletí, kdy upravený zisk na akcii vzrostl na 12,76 USD a tržby dosáhly 4,41 miliardy USD. Akcie URI letos přidaly 39,4 %.
Key Takeaways URI trades above its sub-industry, sector, S&P 500 and five-year median forward earnings multiples.United Rentals posted Q2 earnings and revenue beats, driven by higher rental demand and record EBITDA.URI lifted 2026 guidance, but cyclical demand, higher fleet spending and competition remain key risks. United Rentals, Inc. (URI - Free Report) has given investors plenty to weigh after a 39.4% year-to-date share gain. The rally has followed stronger earnings, improving estimate trends and a higher 2026 outlook.
The question is whether the stock still offers enough upside after that move. URI’s operating momentum is clear, but its valuation now stands above several relevant benchmarks.
URI Valuation Sits Above Key BenchmarksURI trades at 22.08 times forward 12-month earnings. That compares with 18.15 times for its Zacks sub-industry, 20.66 times for the broader Zacks sector and 20.11 times for the S&P 500 index.
The premium also looks notable against the company’s own history. URI’s current multiple is above its five-year median of 14.19 times, which makes valuation discipline more important after the earnings-fueled rally.
Masco Corporation (MAS - Free Report) , a branded home improvement and building products company, offers one comparison point for investors looking across construction-related exposure. Armstrong World Industries, Inc. (AWI - Free Report) , known for ceiling and wall system solutions, provides another peer context within the broader building products group.
United Rentals Delivers Earnings and Sales BeatsUnited Rentals backed up the stock move with a strong second-quarter 2026 report. Adjusted earnings came in at $12.76 per share, up 21.9% from the prior-year quarter and 9.3% above the Zacks Consensus Estimate.
Revenues also topped expectations, with total revenues of $4.41 billion beating the consensus mark by 4.1%. Adjusted EBITDA rose 13.6% to a quarterly record of $2.06 billion, showing that the company converted higher demand into improved profit dollars.
Rental activity was the core driver. Rental revenues increased 12.7% to $3.85 billion, supported by growth across General Rentals and Specialty.
URI Estimate Revisions Support the Bull CaseEstimate revisions add support to the bullish argument. The fiscal 2026 earnings per share estimate increased 3.4% over the past four weeks, while projected earnings per share growth for the current fiscal year stands at 15.9%.
Those revisions matter because they point to improving expectations rather than only backward-looking results. URI also raised its 2026 revenue outlook to $17.5-$17.8 billion and adjusted EBITDA guidance to $7.98-$8.13 billion.
The balance sheet adds another positive. Net leverage improved to 1.8X at the end of the second quarter from 1.9X at the end of 2025, staying within management’s 1.5X-2.5X target range.
United Rentals Faces Cyclical and Capital RisksThe investment case is not without risk. United Rentals remains exposed to construction and industrial cycles, where a slowdown can pressure rental volumes, utilization and pricing.
Capital spending is another area to watch. Management raised gross rental capital expenditure guidance to $4.85-$5.25 billion because demand and time utilization remain high.
That fleet investment can support growth if large projects continue. It could weigh on returns if activity slows or added equipment is not absorbed efficiently.
Competition also remains a concern. The equipment rental industry includes national rivals, regional operators, independent rental companies, dealers and equipment vendors, which can pressure pricing or utilization.
URI Scores Point to Growth With Valuation CautionThe bottom line is that URI still has a credible earnings-driven case, but the stock no longer looks inexpensive. Its earnings beats, higher guidance and upward estimate revisions support the rally, while the premium multiple raises the bar for execution.
URI currently carries a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy). That rank reflects a favorable short-term earnings estimate revision profile over a one- to three-month horizon. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank stocks here.
The stock also has a Growth Score of B, Momentum Score of B and VGM Score of B. These scores point to favorable growth and price-trend characteristics when viewed alongside the Zacks Rank.
The Value Score of C is the caution flag. It aligns with URI’s premium forward earnings multiple and supports a positive, but valuation-aware, stance on the stock.
Key Takeaways Ameren is expected to post Q2 EPS growth, supported by grid investments, new rates and higher power demand.AEE's smart grid upgrades and AI-driven data center demand likely supported quarterly performance.AEE faces near-term storm restoration costs ahead of Q2 results, though recovery mechanisms are in place. Ameren Corporation (AEE - Free Report) is scheduled to release second-quarter 2026 results on July 30, after market close. The company delivered an earnings surprise of 9.4% in the last reported quarter.
Let’s discuss the factors that are likely to be reflected in the upcoming quarterly results.
Factors Likely to Have Impacted AEE’s Q2 PerformanceAmeren is expected to have continued benefiting from its ongoing investments in grid modernization and infrastructure resilience, which likely improved the efficiency and reliability of its electric network across its service territories. The company's deployment of smart switches under its Smart Energy Plan is helping automate grid operations, reduce outage durations, and enhance overall system performance. These initiatives are expected to have supported operational execution and contributed positively to the company's financial performance in the to-be-reported quarter.
Increasing electricity demand from data centers, driven by Artificial Intelligence workloads, is expected to have provided additional support to the company’s quarterly earnings. Strong rate-based growth and solid revenue expectations are likely to have enhanced the overall performance.
The company’s quarterly earnings are anticipated to have benefited from new electric service rates that came into effect during the previous quarters.
The severe storms that swept across Ameren’s service territories during the second quarter temporarily disrupted the company’s operations, causing widespread damage to its electric distribution system. The storms resulted in customer outages and required a large-scale restoration effort. While utilities like Ameren generally recover storm restoration costs through regulatory mechanisms over time, such events can still increase near-term operating and maintenance expenses, require higher capital spending to repair or replace damaged infrastructure, and put pressure on earnings.
AEE’s Q2 ExpectationsThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings is pegged at $1.08 per share, implying 6.9% growth year over year.
The consensus estimate for revenues is pinned at $2.40 billion, implying 8.3% growth year over year.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Ameren’s total electric sales is pinned at 15,995.6 gigawatt-hours (in millions), implying 2.1% growth from the year-ago quarter’s registered figure.
What Our Quantitative Model PredictsOur proven model predicts an earnings beat for Ameren this time around. The combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold) increases the odds of an earnings beat, which is the case here as you can see below.
Other Stocks to ConsiderInvestors may also consider the following players from the same industry, as these, too, have the right combination of elements to post an earnings beat this reporting cycle.
Edison International (EIX - Free Report) is likely to come up with an earnings beat when it reports second-quarter results on July 30. It has an Earnings ESP of +4.66% and a Zacks Rank of 2 at present.
EIX’s long-term (three to five years) earnings growth rate is 2.1%. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings is pinned at $1.02 per share, which implies a year-over-year increase of 5.2%.
The Southern Company (SO - Free Report) is likely to come up with an earnings beat when it reports second-quarter results on July 30. It has an Earnings ESP of +1.16% and a Zacks Rank of 3 at present.
SO’s long-term earnings growth rate is 4.3%. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings is pinned at $1.01 per share, which implies a year-over-year increase of 11%.
Vistra (VST - Free Report) is likely to come up with an earnings beat when it reports second-quarter results on Aug. 7. It has an Earnings ESP of +19.75% and a Zacks Rank of 1 at present.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for VST’s earnings is pinned at $2.41 per share, which implies a year-over-year increase of 138.6%. The consensus estimate for sales implies a year-over-year increase of 50.1%.
Leonardo DRS uzavřela dohodu o koupi společnosti Raft za 450 milionů USD v hotovosti. Akvizice má rozšířit její AI, datovou fúzi a mission software pro obranné zákazníky.
ARLINGTON, Va., July 28, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Leonardo DRS, Inc. (Nasdaq: DRS) today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Raft LLC (“Raft”) in an all-cash transaction valued at $450 million. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in McLean, Virginia, Raft provides open-architecture mission software, specializing in multi-domain data fusion and artificial intelligence (AI) that supports real-time situational awareness and faster operational decision-making for national security customers.
The acquisition is aligned with DRS’s strategy and enhances its ability to deliver integrated, mission-focused technologies that help customers operate with greater speed, clarity and confidence in complex operational environments. Defense customers increasingly manage large volumes of data from distributed sensors and systems; fragmented data architectures can slow decision-making. Raft’s technology is designed to address this challenge by fusing disparate data into a common operating picture and helping reduce the cognitive burden on operators across domains and mission threads. Raft’s open-architecture software, AI and data integration capabilities are highly complementary and additive to DRS’s existing technology portfolio and customer relationships, enhancing the company’s ability to deliver integrated, advanced sensing and network computing capabilities with software to turn sensor data into actionable decision advantage.
“Our customers increasingly require integrated hardware, software, data and autonomy to support mission outcomes. The acquisition of Raft will build on and accelerate the organic investment that DRS has made in that evolution,” said John Baylouny, President and Chief Executive Officer of Leonardo DRS. “Raft adds proven software talent and open-architecture technology that complement our existing sensing and computing capabilities and strengthen our ability to deliver AI-enabled mission solutions at the speed our customers demand.”
“Joining DRS is a natural next step for our team and our mission,” said Shubhi Mishra, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Raft. “Our open-architecture platform was built to integrate across systems, not lock customers in, and pairing it with DRS’s sensing and computing franchises will accelerate our ability to deliver mission capability at a global scale.”
The $450 million all-cash transaction is subject to customary post-closing purchase price adjustments. As a result of the transaction, DRS expects to realize a tax benefit over the next 15 years, the present value of which is calculated to be approximately $50 million. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. The acquisition is expected to be accretive to Adjusted Diluted Earnings Per Share (1) in the first full year of ownership. DRS expects to fund the transaction through cash on hand and borrowings under its revolving credit facility.

Non-GAAP Financial Measures
(1) The company references Adjusted Diluted Earnings Per Share, a non-GAAP financial measure, in this release. Finally, these measures are often used by analysts and other interested parties to evaluate companies in our industry by providing more comparable measures that are less affected by factors such as capital structure.

Commvault Systems (CVLT - Free Report) came out with quarterly earnings of $1.42 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.18 per share. This compares to earnings of $1.01 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.
This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of +20.34%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this data-management software company would post earnings of $1.09 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.28, delivering a surprise of +17.43%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates three times.
Commvault, which belongs to the Zacks Computer - Software industry, posted revenues of $314.13 million for the quarter ended June 2026, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 0.99%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $281.98 million. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates four times over the last four quarters.
The sustainability of the stock's immediate price movement based on the recently-released numbers and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's commentary on the earnings call.
Commvault shares have added about 19.2% since the beginning of the year versus the S&P 500's gain of 8.3%.
What's Next for Commvault? While Commvault has outperformed the market so far this year, the question that comes to investors' minds is: what's next for the stock?
There are no easy answers to this key question, but one reliable measure that can help investors address this is the company's earnings outlook. Not only does this include current consensus earnings expectations for the coming quarter(s), but also how these expectations have changed lately.
Empirical research shows a strong correlation between near-term stock movements and trends in earnings estimate revisions. Akcie SMCI v premarketu klesly o 3,93 % na 28,64 USD v úterý, zatímco vyšetřování pašování AI čipů Nvidia se dál rozšiřuje. Americké ministerstvo spravedlnosti už v březnu obvinilo spoluzakladatele Super Micro a další dvě osoby.
Super Micro Computer shares are retreating from recent levels. What’s behind SMCI decline? Nvidia Staffer Held Amid AI Chip Smuggling InvestigationThe case traces back to a March indictment, when the U.S. Department of Justice charged a Super Micro co-founder and two others with helping route billions of dollars’ worth of restricted Nvidia chips to China. Taiwan authorities escalated their own probe in early July, raiding Super Micro’s local offices and detaining two employees.
Critical Technical Levels for SMCI StockFrom a trend perspective, SMCI is still in a longer-term downtrend: it’s trading 12.6% below its 50-day SMA ($32.69) and 14.3% below its 200-day SMA ($33.35), with the death cross that formed in December 2025 still hanging over the chart. The stock is also down 50.36% over the past 12 months, which helps explain why rallies can run into overhead supply quickly.
Near term, the picture is more constructive, with price 3.4% above the 20-day SMA ($27.63) even as it sits just under the 20-day EMA ($28.72), a sign the rebound is still trying to stabilize. The most recent turning points also frame the current range: a swing high formed in June, followed by a swing low in July, and the stock broke below support in July after breaking above resistance in June.
RSI is the cleaner momentum read right now: at 51.98, it’s neutral, suggesting the stock isn’t stretched to an obvious overbought/oversold extreme as it chops around key moving averages. In plain terms, RSI helps gauge whether buying or selling pressure is getting "too crowded," and this reading points to a market still deciding on direction rather than one that’s already overextended.
Key Resistance: $33.50 — a round-number zone that lines up closely with the 50-day/200-day moving-average area, where rebounds can stall Key Support: $25.50 — a nearby floor to watch after the recent July weakness, with buyers previously stepping in around that zone Super Micro Computer Benzinga Edge Scorecard OverviewBelow is the Benzinga Edge scorecard for Super Micro Computer, highlighting its strengths and weaknesses compared to the broader market:
The Verdict: Super Micro Computer’s Benzinga Edge signal reveals a quality-and-value-leaning setup that’s still fighting weak momentum. For longer-term bulls, the technical "tell" is whether the stock can reclaim the $33.50 area; until then, rallies may remain tactical rather than trend-changing.

Wall Street expects a year-over-year decline in earnings on higher revenues when Energizer Holdings (ENR - Free Report) reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. While this widely-known consensus outlook is important in gauging the company's earnings picture, a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.
The earnings report, which is expected to be released on August 4, might help the stock move higher if these key numbers are better than expectations. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.
While management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call will mostly determine the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations, it's worth having a handicapping insight into the odds of a positive EPS surprise.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis battery and personal care products company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $0.86 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of -23.9%.
Revenues are expected to be $737.31 million, up 1.7% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has remained unchanged over the last 30 days.
Our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) -- has this insight at its core.
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Energizer? For Energizer, the Most Accurate Estimate is lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bearish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -2.33%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Energizer will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Energizer would post earnings of $0.47 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.94, delivering a surprise of +100.00%.
Energizer doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.
Expected Results of an Industry PlayerAnother stock from the Zacks Consumer Products - Staples industry, Clorox (CLX - Free Report) , is soon expected to post earnings of $1.64 per share for the quarter ended June 2026. This estimate indicates a year-over-year change of -42.9%. Revenues for the quarter are expected to be $1.91 billion, down 4.1% from the year-ago quarter.
Over the last 30 days, the consensus EPS estimate for Clorox has been revised 0.4% up to the current level. Nevertheless, the company now has an Earnings ESP of -3.52%, reflecting a lower Most Accurate Estimate.
This Earnings ESP, combined with its Zacks Rank #4 (Sell), makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Clorox will beat the consensus EPS estimate. Over the last four quarters, the company surpassed consensus EPS estimates three times.

Akcie Bloom Energy dnes klesly o 13,8 % před zveřejněním výsledků za 2. čtvrtletí. Investoři se obávají, že růst kolem datových center byl do ceny nadhodnocen.
Bloom Energy (BE -11.81%) stock went parabolic, with investors anticipating billions in revenue coming from data center operators using its fuel cells. As with most moves like that, reality is setting in after too much growth was priced into the stock.
Now, Bloom shares have been more than cut in half since they reached an all-time high last month. That includes the 13.8% tumble the stock had today as of 10:15 a.m. ET.
What will earnings bring? Bloom will report second-quarter financial results after the market closes today. Even after the stock has crashed from the June high, Bloom shares are still up by over 80% this year. Some investors who are getting nervous that the growth story might not pan out as anticipated are locking in the large 2026 gains, it seems.
The Bloom Energy story relies on big tech continuing to increase capital spending to build out data center compute capacity. Much of the stock's gains came after announcements of plans to build and finance power for data centers, with billions of dollars being allocated. In late June, Bloom and Brookfield Asset Management announced an expansion of their strategic data center partnership. The original $5 billion in planned financing was quintupled to $25 billion.

Yet there are still concerns among investors that those plans will fizzle out, leaving Bloom without billions in orders that were already priced into the stock. Don't expect Bloom management to sound pessimistic in its report later today, though. Hyperscalers and AI infrastructure developers are still announcing spending increases. And while Bloom stock got ahead of itself, the recent correction is exactly what investors should want to see.
If Bloom's capacity expansion plans remain intact with order backlogs filling its production lines, now may be a good time to own Bloom stock at a much more reasonable valuation.

NBT Bancorp NASDAQ: NBTB reported second-quarter net income of $53 million, or $1.02 per diluted common share, as record net interest income, loan growth and fee-based revenue contributed to improved results.
President and CEO Scott Kingsley said the company delivered “significantly stronger earnings” than in the prior-year quarter, with operating earnings rising 15%. Operating return on assets was 1.32% and operating return on tangible equity was 15.61%, while tangible book value per share reached $27.71, up 12.8% from a year earlier.
The company also raised its quarterly cash dividend to $0.40 per share for the third quarter, an 8.1% increase from the prior-year quarter and its 14th consecutive annual dividend increase. NBT repurchased 318,000 shares during the first half of 2026.

Loan Growth Broadens Across Business Lines Total loans ended the quarter at $11.9 billion, an increase of $276 million, or 2.4%, from Dec. 31, 2025. Chief Financial Officer Annette Burns said all business lines grew during the first six months of the year, including a $178 million increase in commercial loans and a $98 million increase in consumer loans.
Commercial growth was balanced between commercial and industrial lending and commercial real estate relationships, according to Burns. Kingsley said loan activity improved after difficult winter conditions and elevated commercial real estate payoffs affected the first quarter. While he said the company may not replicate second-quarter growth in the second half, he characterized first-half performance as indicative of the company’s capability on a go-forward basis.
Kingsley also cited strong indirect auto lending during the quarter, though he said second-half growth in that category is not expected to match the second-quarter level. He said new indirect auto origination yields declined amid competition, but described the portfolio as fast-turning and low duration, with favorable loss characteristics.
Margin Expansion and Funding Trends Net interest income rose to a record $137 million, up $3 million from the first quarter and more than 10% from the second quarter of 2025. The increase reflected organic growth in interest-earning assets, lower funding costs and one additional calendar day in the quarter, Burns said.
Net interest margin increased one basis point sequentially to 3.73%, and was 14 basis points above the year-earlier level. Management said the balance sheet remains positioned for a range of interest-rate environments, although further movement in earning-asset yields and margin will depend largely on the yield curve and reinvestment of loan and securities portfolio cash flows.
Burns said NBT expects stable to modestly higher margin over the next couple of quarters based on current rates. New originations are expected to be concentrated in commercial lending and residential mortgages, where management sees potential for higher pricing, although competition and deposit acquisition costs could affect that opportunity.
Total deposits stood at $13.5 billion at quarter-end. Deposits declined $205.7 million from March 31, primarily because of seasonal municipal outflows. Nearly 60% of deposits were held in no- and low-cost checking and savings accounts, with a blended cost just below 40 basis points. Total deposit costs fell one basis point during the quarter to 1.33%, while total funding costs declined to 1.41%.
Kingsley said commercial and business banking relationships create opportunities to add deposits through NBT’s treasury management platform. He said deposit growth from newly opened commercial relationships typically develops over quarters rather than weeks, as customers transition their banking activity.
Fee Income, Expenses and Credit Quality Excluding securities gains, non-interest income was $49.6 million, unchanged from the prior quarter and up 5.8% year over year. Retirement plan administration revenue increased 7.8% from a year earlier. Combined quarterly revenue from retirement plan services, wealth management and insurance services exceeded $32 million, and non-interest income represented about 27% of total revenue.
Management said wealth management revenue was affected by the timing of activity-based fees and open personnel positions that affected production during the quarter.
Total operating expenses declined 0.7% sequentially. Salaries and employee benefits were $69 million, rising modestly because of the full-quarter effect of March merit increases, an additional payroll day and higher medical costs. Those factors were partly offset by lower payroll taxes and stock-based compensation expenses. Burns said NBT expects full-year operating expense growth of roughly 2.5% to 3%, with payroll timing, incentive compensation and technology investments contributing to higher expenses in the second half.
Provision expense was $6.1 million, compared with $5.6 million in the first quarter, primarily reflecting loan growth. Loan loss reserves were 1.18% of total loans and covered more than twice the level of nonperforming loans.
Expansion, Micron Activity and M&A Kingsley said NBT continues to benefit from its acquisition of Evans Bancorp, completed more than a year ago, and noted that the Buffalo region generated the highest loan origination volume across the company during the second quarter.
The company is pursuing organic expansion in Southern Maine, Southern New Hampshire and the Rochester, New York, market. Kingsley said NBT opened a branch south of Portland earlier this year and plans another in early 2027. It has also committed to two sites in the greater Rochester market and is evaluating additional locations.
Management also pointed to growing activity around Micron’s semiconductor project near Syracuse. Kingsley said construction has advanced and opportunities are emerging in infrastructure, construction and professional services. He added that workforce training, housing and community development are becoming a greater focus as the project progresses toward expected production in 2030.
On acquisitions, Kingsley said NBT remains in regular discussions with smaller community banks, though there has not been substantial transaction activity in its markets. The company generally views institutions with $1 billion to $3 billion in assets as its preferred range, while also considering smaller firms with differentiated non-interest income businesses.

Key Takeaways Kimco Realty is expected to report higher Q2 revenues and FFO when it releases results on Aug. 4.KIM's grocery-anchored portfolio and healthy leasing demand are expected to support same-site NOI growth.KIM's occupancy to be pressured by recent bankruptcies, delayed rent commencements and redevelopment downtime. Kimco Realty Corporation (KIM - Free Report) is slated to report second-quarter 2026 results on Aug. 4, before the opening bell. The company’s quarterly results are likely to display year-over-year growth in revenues and funds from operations (FFO) per share.
In the last reported quarter, this Jericho, NY-based retail real estate investment trust (REIT) reported FFO per share of 46 cents, which surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate by a cent. Results were supported by steady rent growth and continued demand for Kimco’s open-air, grocery-anchored centers.
Over the preceding four quarters, Kimco’s FFO per share surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate on three occasions and met in the remaining period, the average beat being 1.72%. This is depicted in the graph below:
In this article, we will dive deep into the U.S. retail real estate market environment and the company's fundamentals and analyze the factors that may have contributed to its second-quarter 2026 performance.
US Retail Real Estate Market in Q2The second-quarter 2026 U.S. retail market showed signs of stabilization, as shopping-center demand returned to positive territory and vacancy remained near historically low levels. Limited new construction continued to support rent growth, while resilient consumer spending favored grocery, discount and other value-oriented retailers. However, uneven regional trends and rising pressure on lower- and middle-income households kept the operating backdrop mixed.
Per the Cushman & Wakefield report, net absorption reached 708,000 square feet, while national vacancy remained broadly stable at 6%, up only 3 basis points sequentially and still below the historical average of 7.4%. Limited construction continued to support market fundamentals, with just 2.3 million square feet delivered during the quarter and the development pipeline accounting for less than 0.3% of existing inventory.
Asking rents increased 2.2% year over year to $25.65 per square foot, supported by tight availability and muted new supply. The West led demand growth with 1.3 million square feet of positive absorption and was the only region to record a decline in vacancy. In contrast, the South posted a slight rise in vacancy as earlier population growth encouraged new development, creating temporary lease-up pressure in markets such as Atlanta, Houston, Washington and Dallas-Fort Worth. Rents in the South advanced 3.3% year over year, the strongest growth among all regions.
Consumer spending remained resilient despite higher energy costs. Retail sales rose 6.9% year over year, or 5.4%, excluding gasoline stations, while unemployment stayed low at 4.2%. However, inflation outpaced wage growth in April and May, increasing pressure on lower- and middle-income households. This widening spending divide is likely to favor grocery, discount, value and health-and-wellness retailers over discretionary categories.
Factors to Consider Ahead of KIM’s Upcoming ResultsKimco’s second-quarter performance is likely to have witnessed continued strength in its grocery-anchored, necessity-based portfolio, supported by limited new retail supply, high tenant retention and healthy leasing demand. Management entered the second quarter with a record $77 million signed-but-not-open pipeline and indicated that leasing activity remained on pace with the prior year.
Rent commencements scheduled from the second quarter onward should begin lifting economic occupancy, minimum rents and same-property NOI, while positive mark-to-market spreads and strong small-shop demand may provide additional support. Management expects same-site NOI growth to accelerate sequentially after the first quarter’s 1.7% increase.
However, second quarter comparisons may be affected by the absence of the first quarter’s roughly $7 million accelerated below-market rent benefit and seasonally higher percentage-rent income.
Occupancy could also remain constrained by recent bankruptcies, tenant openings that have not yet commenced rent and redevelopment-related downtime. Higher refinancing costs remain a headwind, although Kimco’s strong liquidity and improved leverage should limit near-term pressure.
Q2 Projections for KIMThe company’s top line is expected to have improved due to the above tailwinds. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for KIM’s quarterly revenues stands at $545 million, implying 3.8% growth from the prior-year reported number.
Our estimate for net revenues from rental properties stands at $540 million, indicating a 3.6% increase year over year. However, we expect KIM’s leased occupancy to decrease 40 basis points sequentially to 95.9% in the to-be-reported quarter. We estimate a year-over-year increase of 3.4% in its second-quarter interest expenses.
Before the second-quarter earnings release, the company’s activities were inadequate to gain analysts’ confidence. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for quarterly FFO per share has remained unchanged at 46 cents for more than three months. It implies a rise of 4.6% year over year.
What Our Quantitative Model Predicts for KIMOur proven model predicts a surprise in terms of FFO per share for Kimco this season. The combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold) increases the chances of an FFO beat, which is the case here.
Kimco currently has an Earnings ESP of +0.63% and a Zacks Rank of 2. You can uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they’re reported with our Earnings ESP Filter.
Other Stocks That Warrant a LookHere are two other stocks from the retail REIT sector — Regency Centers (REG - Free Report) and Simon Property Group (SPG - Free Report) — that you may want to consider, as our model shows that these also have the right combination of elements to report a surprise this quarter.
Regency Centers, slated to release quarterly numbers on July 29, has an Earnings ESP of +0.68% and carries a Zacks Rank of 3 at present. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank stocks here.
Simon Property Group, scheduled to report quarterly numbers on Aug. 10, has an Earnings ESP of +1.21% and carries a Zacks Rank of 3 at present.

Wall Street expects a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when EOG Resources (EOG - Free Report) reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. While this widely-known consensus outlook is important in gauging the company's earnings picture, a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis oil and gas company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $5.10 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +119.8%.
Revenues are expected to be $7.95 billion, up 45.2% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 6.25% lower over the last 30 days to the current level.
Our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) -- has this insight at its core.
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for EOG Resources? For EOG Resources, the Most Accurate Estimate is lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bearish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -2.06%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that EOG Resources will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that EOG Resources would post earnings of $3.07 per share when it actually produced earnings of $3.41, delivering a surprise of +11.07%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates four times.
EOG Resources doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.
An Industry Player's Expected ResultsAnother stock from the Zacks Oil and Gas - Exploration and Production - United States industry, Diamondback Energy (FANG - Free Report) , is soon expected to post earnings of $6.08 per share for the quarter ended June 2026. This estimate indicates a year-over-year change of +127.7%. Revenues for the quarter are expected to be $4.82 billion, up 31.1% from the year-ago quarter.
The consensus EPS estimate for Diamondback has been revised 12.5% lower over the last 30 days to the current level. However, a lower Most Accurate Estimate has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -0.84%.
When combined with a Zacks Rank of #3 (Hold), this Earnings ESP makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Diamondback will beat the consensus EPS estimate. Over the last four quarters, the company surpassed consensus EPS estimates three times.

Hagens Berman vyšetřuje Peabody Energy kvůli údajnému klamání investorů ohledně provozu a produkce dolu Centurion v Austrálii. Firma už čelí hromadné žalobě.
, /PRNewswire/ -- Hagens Berman, a leading national shareholder rights law firm, is conducting an investigation into Peabody Energy Corporation (NYSE: BTU) regarding alleged violations of federal securities laws. This investigation follows the recent filing of a class action lawsuit, which alleges that Peabody misled investors concerning the operational status and production capabilities of its flagship underground longwall metallurgical coal mine, Centurion, in Queensland, Australia.
INVESTOR NOTICE: DEADLINE APPROACHING
Action: Submit your Peabody losses here Class Period: Oct. 14, 2024 – May 4, 2026 Lead Plaintiff Deadline: Aug. 24, 2026 Visit: www.hbsslaw.com/investor-fraud/btu Contact the Firm Now: [email protected] | 844-916-0895 Focus of Peabody Energy (BTU) Securities Class Action:
The pending securities class action alleges that Peabody and its management made materially false and misleading statements regarding the true state of the Centurion mine and its readiness to achieve full-scale production. The complaint contends that throughout the class period, the company repeatedly assured investors that development was on track—highlighting in February 2026 that the team was installing the "very last shield" and that mining of premier metallurgical coal had begun.
Plaintiffs allege these statements were false because the company was encountering mechanical, electrical, and operational issues that severely impaired the ramp-up, all of which management allegedly knew or recklessly disregarded while maintaining positive production and financial guidance.
The truth behind these alleged misrepresentations emerged in stages through surprise disclosures. On March 30, 2026, Peabody filed a current report with the SEC abruptly slashing its first-quarter Centurion production guidance from approximately 700,000 tons down to roughly 250,000 tons.
The news sent the price of Peabody shares down almost 10%.
Subsequently, on May 5, 2026, the company disclosed further setbacks, lowering its full-year sales outlook for Centurion to 2.5 million tons and citing commissioning and operational headwinds. This full year 28% reduction helped send the price of Peabody shares down nearly 6%.
"Our investigation is actively probing the full scope of these pending claims to determine exactly when Peabody's management knew that the production ramp-up at the Centurion mine was falling off track," said Reed Kathrein, the Hagens Berman partner leading the firm's investigation of the alleged claim in the pending suit.

Kinder Morgan má backlog 9,6 miliardy USD, z toho 92 % tvoří projekty plynové infrastruktury. Více než 60 % podporuje výrobu elektřiny a lokální distribuci, včetně LNG a datových center.
Key Takeaways Kinder Morgan's $9.6 billion backlog is 92% tied to natural gas infrastructure projects.Kinder Morgan is expanding pipeline capacity to meet rising power generation, LNG and data center demand.Kinder Morgan eyes more than $10 billion of additional project opportunities beyond its existing backlog. Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI - Free Report) is entering a growth phase shaped by electricity demand, liquefied natural gas development and utility needs rather than a simple commodity-price upswing.
The company’s opportunity centers on contracted infrastructure. Long-term agreements remain the bridge between supply basins and demand centers that need reliable natural gas transportation and storage.
KMI Gains From Power and Utility DemandKinder Morgan’s project backlog stood at $9.6 billion at the end of the second quarter of 2026. Natural gas projects accounted for about 92% of that backlog, keeping the company’s growth agenda focused on its largest infrastructure franchise.
More than 60% of the backlog supports power generation and local distribution company demand. That mix gives KMI a longer-duration channel tied to electric reliability, population growth and the need for additional gas-fired generation.
KMI’s theme overlaps with other midstream names. The Williams Companies, Inc. (WMB - Free Report) offers investors another way to evaluate natural gas infrastructure exposure, while ONEOK, Inc. (OKE - Free Report) brings a broader midstream mix that includes natural gas liquids, gas gathering and processing, pipelines and refined products.
Kinder Morgan Targets Data Center GrowthThe Amarillo Expansion shows how digital infrastructure is becoming part of the gas-transportation story. Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America is developing the project to serve Texas Panhandle demand, including additional data center development.
The project is expected to provide up to about 550,000 dekatherms per day of incremental firm transportation capacity. All capacity is fully subscribed under a long-term contract, and the approximately $200 million project carries a Kinder Morgan share of about $75 million.
KMI Builds Capacity for LNG ExpansionKinder Morgan is also developing projects to serve roughly 3 billion cubic feet per day of additional liquefied natural gas demand. That opportunity sits beside more than 10 billion cubic feet per day of power-sector demand under development across its gas pipeline network.
The company’s Gulf Coast position matters because export-related demand requires both pipeline takeaway and storage flexibility. As liquefied natural gas capacity expands, KMI’s links to supply basins may help turn demand growth into contracted transportation projects.
Kinder Morgan Sees a Large Project FunnelKMI’s opportunity set exceeds $10 billion beyond projects already sanctioned. Management said it expects significant additions before year-end, likely more than offsetting about $1 billion of projects expected to enter service during the second half of 2026.
This prospective funnel is separate from the existing backlog. Projects still need commercial support, and management’s process remains contract-driven, with final investment decisions tied to agreements that support acceptable returns.
KMI Faces a Capital-Intensive Growth CycleHigh demand on Kinder Morgan’s gas systems is a favorable signal, but it also changes the growth equation. When assets are already highly utilized, future volume growth increasingly depends on new construction instead of simply filling unused capacity.
That raises execution risk. The company has discussed more than $3 billion of annual expansion capital spending based on the current backlog, while large projects still face permitting, regulatory, cost-control and timing risks.
Kinder Morgan’s Earnings Outlook and Estimate TrendsKinder Morgan’s earnings outlook is tied to a multi-year growth cycle, with consensus EPS expected to rise from 83 cents in 2026 to $1.33 in 2027. While the current quarter estimate shows a year-over-year decline, estimates for second-quarter 2026 earnings, full-year 2026 earnings and full-year 2027 earnings point to improving earnings expectations as power, utility and LNG-related infrastructure demand builds.
KMI’s Trend Exposure Remains ConcentratedThe bottom line is that power, liquefied natural gas and utility demand may create a multi-year infrastructure cycle for Kinder Morgan. The opportunity is meaningful because it is tied to contracted capacity, not just short-term changes in gas prices.
The concentration also matters. Natural gas projects dominate the backlog, and low-carbon exposure through renewable natural gas and related activities remains limited relative to the scale of the gas buildout.
KMI currently carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). That rank fits a stock with visible upside drivers but enough uncertainty to keep the investment stance measured. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.
KMI has a Momentum Score of A, Value Score of C, Growth Score of C and VGM Score of C.
Its Momentum Score of A supports the idea that the stock has favorable near-term trading characteristics, while its Value Score of C, Growth Score of C and VGM Score of C point to a more neutral broader style profile.
The score mix fits the article’s main takeaway. KMI’s infrastructure-cycle thesis has stronger support from momentum than from standout value or growth signals, so investors may want to weigh the backlog opportunity against execution demands and concentrated gas exposure.

Amkor po výsledcích hospodaření klesl, ale hlavní příběh je růst marží díky AI a partnerství s NVIDIA. Slabší výhled tržeb souvisí s dočasnými faktory a přesunem výroby SiP z Jižní Koreje do Vietnamu.

The revenue miss was linked to one-offs, including high-bandwidth (HBM) memory shortages, which are completely out of Amkor’s control, product timing, and an internal shift aimed at unlocking higher-margin business. The real story in 2026 is how Amkor is unlocking higher margins with AI and how margins are expected to continue expanding.
Get Amkor Technology alerts:
Amkor is an advanced packager, performing the complicated manufacturing steps required to complete advanced semiconductor products such as NVIDIA’s NASDAQ: NVDA AI-capable GPUs, and its services are in demand. Demand is increasing capacity utilization, improving margins at all levels, and is sufficient to drive capacity expansions as the underlying technology continues to advance. What this means for investors is significant improvement in operating leverage, cash flow, and sustainable increases in shareholder value.
Amkor’s Balance Sheet Reflects Its Strong PositionAmkor’s balance sheet gives a clear indication of its position. Q2 highlights include a 25% year-to-date increase in cash and equivalents, more than $2.5 billion in readily available liquidity, approximately zero net debt, and improving equity. Leverage is low, with long-term debt about 0.55x the equity, leaving the company in a healthy and flexible financial position, able to continue executing strategy while paying dividends. The dividends aren’t substantial, yielding approximately 0.7% as of late July, but help keep sell-side participants interested, a critical factor in 2026.
Analysts are bullish on AMKR this year. They noted soft guidance in their responses to the Q2 release but overlooked the near-term weakness in favor of long-term opportunities, including the recently announced partnership with NVIDIA, which includes $1.5 billion in prepayments intended to support Amkor’s U.S. operations and advanced-packaging expansion. A bonus at face value, the long-term implications are equally bullish, cementing Amkor as a leading provider of advanced-packaging services and critical to AI infrastructure globally.
No rating or price target changes were issued immediately after the release, leaving the trend in place. As it stands, MarketBeat data reveals 11 current ratings and steady coverage, sufficient for a moderate conviction in the consensus Moderate Buy, a 55% Buy-side bias in the data, and an uptrend in the price targets. The only bad news is that consensus offered only 15% upside relative to the pre-release closing price and the high-end limits upside to the recent highs. The caveat is that this market is still in discovery mode with clear tailwinds to drive it; a move to new highs is likely and also indicated by the charts.
Amkor’s Market Is Amid a Secular ShiftAmkor’s summer price action isn’t particularly bullish, with the market correcting from an early-year peak prior to the release, but investors shouldn’t focus too much on the correction. Amkor’s business is amid a secular change, from legacy demand to AI-critical demand, and this shift is reflected in the long-term price action. The monthly chart shows AMKR blasting through its DotCom-era resistance with increasing volume and a MACD convergence.
These signals suggest an inflection point was crossed and bring robust targets into play. The base case is an advance equal to the range preceding the breakout, a move that can add $60 to the breakout point. In this scenario, AMKR’s price action can move up to the $120 level within the next few quarters, and it will likely move higher. Other tech names that have crossed the comparable threshold went on to rise by several hundred basis points.
What the market gets wrong is that Amkor isn’t a legacy manufacturer anymore. Amkor Technology is a high-tech bottleneck in the AI buildout, critical to unleashing capacity. Without it, NVIDIA’s ability to supply GPUs is curtailed, and along with it the remainder of the industry. The deal with NVIDIA deepens its moat, providing a multiyear runway of non-dilutive, no-interest capital to fund its expansion plans. In this scenario, Amkor Technology’s stock price deserves a premium, and there is yet to be one priced into the market.
Amkor’s biggest risk this year is migrating its SiP production from South Korea to Vietnam. The disruption was seen in the Q3 guidance, which included weaker-than-expected revenue growth, but also in the margin. The shift opens capacity for higher-margin manufacturing at the South Korean facility, aiding the outlook for sequential margin improvement. As it stands, gross margin increased by 400 basis points (bps) year over year in Q2 and is expected to continue widening in Q3 and through year’s end.

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Sixth St?For Sixth St, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +1.45%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.
So, this combination indicates that Sixth St will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue?Analysts often consider to what extent a company has been able to match consensus estimates in the past while calculating their estimates for its future earnings. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Sixth St would post earnings of $0.49 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.42, delivering a surprise of -14.29%.
