Why Alight Stock Withered This Week
ALIT Alight
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Workplace solutions company Alight (ALIT 4.40%) wasn't working well for its investors in the holiday-shortened trading week.

The company formally announced a major financial engineering move, and while that was expected, market players clearly weren't encouraged. Collectively, they reduced the stock's price by almost 12% over the period, according to data compiled by S&P Global Market Intelligence.

Splitsville On Thursday morning, Alight announced that it was enacting a 1-for-20 reverse stock split of its class A common stock, a move ratified in a shareholder vote earlier this month. The company said the split should become effective after market close on Tuesday, June 30.

It's important to bear in mind that any stock split, forward or reverse, does not change the company's market cap. The only change is the number of shares, with the per-share price adjusting to reflect the new total.

Reverse stock splits are typically undertaken to regain compliance with stock exchange listing requirements, as is the case with Alight. Sure enough, the company cited this as a key reason for its move.

Discouraging developments A reverse stock split is a flashing red emergency signal that a business is struggling. Alight's recent performance has been dispiriting, and I'm not seeing any notable signs of improvement yet. I'd stay away from this stock for now.

HSY Hershey
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Hershey (HSY - Free Report) ended the recent trading session at $175.31, demonstrating a -3.95% change from the preceding day's closing price. This move lagged the S&P 500's daily loss of 1.22%. Elsewhere, the Dow saw a downswing of 0.98%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq depreciated by 1.35%.

Coming into today, shares of the chocolate bar and candy maker had lost 5.33% in the past month. In that same time, the Consumer Staples sector gained 1.54%, while the S&P 500 gained 1.56%.

The upcoming earnings release of Hershey will be of great interest to investors. The company is expected to report EPS of $1.46, up 20.66% from the prior-year quarter. Meanwhile, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenue is projecting net sales of $2.66 billion, up 1.84% from the year-ago period.

For the full year, the Zacks Consensus Estimates project earnings of $8.45 per share and a revenue of $12.29 billion, demonstrating changes of +33.91% and +5.09%, respectively, from the preceding year.

Investors should also pay attention to any latest changes in analyst estimates for Hershey. These latest adjustments often mirror the shifting dynamics of short-term business patterns. As a result, we can interpret positive estimate revisions as a good sign for the business outlook.

Our research demonstrates that these adjustments in estimates directly associate with imminent stock price performance. To benefit from this, we have developed the Zacks Rank, a proprietary model which takes these estimate changes into account and provides an actionable rating system.

The Zacks Rank system, spanning from #1 (Strong Buy) to #5 (Strong Sell), boasts an impressive track record of outperformance, audited externally, with #1 ranked stocks yielding an average annual return of +25% since 1988. Over the last 30 days, the Zacks Consensus EPS estimate has moved 0.06% lower. Hershey is holding a Zacks Rank of #3 (Hold) right now.

AI Data Center Cooling: MOD's Pivot vs. VRT's Moat - The Better Bet?
VRT Vertiv Holdings
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways VRT is the stronger AI cooling pick, backed by scale, integration and hyperscaler ties.Vertiv expects $13.5B-$14B in 2026 sales and 29-31% organic growth versus 2025.Modine's data center revenues hit $1.1B in fiscal 2026, but margins and execution remain watchpoints. Artificial intelligence (AI) is generating a lot of heat—literally. As data centers pack in more GPUs to power the next wave of AI workloads, keeping those machines from overheating has become as critical as the chips themselves. That has made data center cooling infrastructure one of the hottest investment themes around. Two stocks positioned to capitalize include Vertiv Holdings (VRT - Free Report) and Modine Manufacturing (MOD - Free Report) .

Vertiv is the established giant with deep hyperscaler relationships and an integrated infrastructure portfolio that spans thermal, power and software. Modine is like the upstart worth watching—a former auto-parts company reinventing itself and building a fast-growing data center cooling business. Both are riding the same macro tailwind, but are offering different propositions. Here's how they stack up.

The Case for Vertiv: Scale, Integration, and VisibilityVertiv's edge starts with its extensive product portfolio, which covers liquid cooling, uninterruptible power supplies, switchgear, busbars, modular infrastructure and monitoring systems. When hyperscalers want a single vendor to handle the full power and thermal stack of an AI factory, Vertiv is often where they turn.

VRT’s first-quarter 2026 numbers were encouraging. Revenues grew 30% year over year, organic sales climbed 23%, adjusted operating margins expanded 430 basis points, and free cash flow more than doubled. The company’s ability to capitalize on the accelerating demand for data center infrastructure, especially in AI and cloud deployments, has been a key factor in this performance.

Acquisitions are compounding the advantage. Vertiv absorbed PurgeRite for fluid management and BMarko Structures for modular deployments. The acquisition of Strategic Thermal Labs strengthens Vertiv's engineering capability at the server-side liquid cooling interface. More recently, ThermoKey buyout expands Vertiv's heat rejection and heat-exchange portfolio, particularly across EMEA, and gives customers more flexibility to optimize thermal architectures across multiple compute generations.

The company's ability to deliver integrated, prefabricated solutions like OneCore and SmartRun is particularly valued as customers seek faster deployment and greater efficiency. Building on this, Vertiv recently integrated its SmartRun platform with NVIDIA's Omniverse DSX— creating the first converged physical infrastructure digital twin for AI factory design. The solution reduces design changes, lowers integration risks, and speeds up AI factory deployment by moving from traditional document-based planning to a model-based approach.

Vertiv now expects net sales of $13.5 billion to $14 billion, with organic net sales growth of 29% to 31% versus 2025. Adjusted earnings per share are projected between $6.30 and $6.40, representing an uptick of 50-52% year over year. Vertiv exited 2025 with a record order backlog of $15 billion— up 109% year over year. That locks in multi-year revenue visibility well into 2027, making Vertiv one of the well-positioned beneficiaries of the hyperscaler AI buildout.

The Case for Modine: Fast Growth, Sharp FocusModine's transformation is real and it's accelerating. The company has been building out a data center cooling unit that barely existed a few years ago. Fiscal 2026 data center revenues hit $1.1 billion, up 73% year over year. The company ended fiscal 2026 with its second consecutive quarter of record order intake. Modine’s data center business is supported by record order intake and roughly five years of pipeline visibility, underpinned by strong exposure to hyperscale customers.

A newly signed long-term capacity agreement commits more than $4 billion of Airedale chiller products to a strategic customer between 2027 and 2029. As part of the agreement, Modine received a $165 million upfront payment to support manufacturing investments needed to fulfill future orders. It suggests that the buyer views Modine's cooling technology as important enough to help finance its growth. That reduces execution risk, improves cash flow visibility and allows management to invest aggressively while preserving balance sheet flexibility.

On the technology side, Modine recently unveiled a 3-megawatt chiller that delivers 50% more cooling capacity with only a 9% increase in physical footprint. That is what customers need as rack densities climb and floor space stays constrained. Co-development arrangements with key customers are also building switching costs and improving demand visibility.

Management guides data center revenue growth of 60-80% in fiscal 2027 and 50-70% in fiscal 2028. A Reverse Morris Trust transaction combining its Performance Technologies unit with Gentherm, expected to close in the end of 2026, will leave Modine as a focused Climate Solutions company. The operational story will only get sharper from there.

Modine continues to apply 80/20 principles to simplify operations and direct resources toward its highest-returning products and markets. The approach has delivered results— fiscal 2026 marked the company's fourth consecutive year of record revenues and adjusted EBITDA. That said, gross margins fell 320 basis points in the last reported quarter, pressured by capacity expansion costs, higher material prices, and tariffs. While the company views it as transitional, it's a number worth watching as volumes scale.

Valuation and Price PerformanceOn valuation, Modine trades at 3.5x forward sales while Vertiv commands around 7.5x — a meaningful gap, and one that reflects the difference in scale, margin profile, and market confidence.

MOD has climbed about 113% year to date, outpacing VRT's 85% return. The rally reflects growing optimism around Modine's role in the AI data center buildout. Still, the company must prove it can translate strong demand into long-term growth by expanding capacity, integrating acquisitions, and protecting margins as the business scales.

Our Take: VRT Is the Better BetModine's transformation is real and the growth numbers are hard to ignore. But strong growth alone doesn't make a stock a better buy.

Vertiv has what Modine is still building— scale, integration and proven hyperscaler relationships. Modine looks cheaper, but execution risk is real and the pure-play thesis only fully materializes once the Gentherm deal closes. Vertiv demands a premium, but with 2026 EPS growth of 51%, implied by the Zacks Consensus Estimate and positive revisions over the past seven days, the optimism around the stock only seems to be building. The valuation is steep, but the fundamentals justify the ask.

For an investor building a position in AI infrastructure today, Vertiv is the stronger pick. While MOD currently sports a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold), VRT carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy). You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

2 Pick-and-Shovel AI Stocks Powering the Data Center Boom
VRT Vertiv Holdings
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Artificial intelligence (AI) is driving a surge in technology infrastructure spending. While top semiconductor stocks have been the hot plays, Vertiv (VRT +5.05%) and Texas Instruments (TXN +6.95%) are falling somewhat under the radar for many investors.

Here's why both of these tech stocks look positioned for strong growth in the data center boom.

Vertiv As data centers pack in more computing power to support AI training and inference, chip density continues to rise. That pushes up heat and electricity demand, boosting demand for Vertiv's critical power management and cooling systems. In the first quarter, Vertiv reported net sales up 30% year over year (23% excluding currency and acquisitions).

The power and cooling market is competitive, but Vertiv has built an edge through service quality, long-term customer relationships, steady innovation, and a large global service network. And once this kind of equipment is installed, customers often stick with the same supplier.

That advantage is starting to show in profitability. Adjusted operating margin rose more than four percentage points to 20.8% last quarter, and management believes it can reach at least 27% over time.

Vertiv is positioned to maintain sales growth of around 20% or more in the AI boom. Based on The Motley Fool's research, the leading AI hyperscalers were expected to increase capital spending by at least 45% in 2026 -- a big tailwind for this data center supplier.

For 2026, company guidance calls for organic net sales to be up 29% to 31% over 2025, with adjusted earnings growing at least 50%. Analysts see improving margins driving roughly 32% annualized earnings growth over the next few years. If the company hits those targets, shareholders could be well rewarded.

Texas Instruments Texas Instruments is a top supplier of analog power chips that regulate electricity flow -- exactly what data centers need as power density climbs. In the first quarter, revenue grew 19% year over year, but the real story was the 90% increase in data center revenue. Its advantage is a massive portfolio of more than 80,000 products, letting it serve a wide range of analog sockets across electronic devices, including server racks in data centers.

It could also achieve improving margins as it expands into specialized, application-specific parts -- something management expects to begin contributing meaningfully to financial results in the second half of 2026.

The biggest risk is the industry's usual cyclical swings in chip demand. Parts of Texas Instruments' business, such as automotive and personal electronics, can experience softness in a weak economy. But the data center opportunity is real and can contribute to the company's overall growth, as it just did.

It's telling that leading AI companies like Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI (ChatGPT) are continuing to see surging usage of their AI models. That necessitates greater investment in chips and networking in data centers to accommodate the frequent use of these tools, which could ultimately benefit Vertiv and Texas Instruments.

Analysts forecast about 21% annualized earnings growth for Texas Instruments, but earnings rose 31% year over year in the first quarter, pushing estimates higher. That suggests Wall Street may still be underestimating the scale and duration of the AI infrastructure build-out, creating an opportunity in pick-and-shovel stocks like Vertiv and Texas Instruments.

Why the AI Infrastructure Wave Will Mint More Millionaires Than the Chatbot Phase: 3 Stocks to Own
VRT Vertiv Holdings
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Artificial intelligence (AI) is quickly becoming a race to the bottom, at least for users. Whether it's ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, or Claude, people can switch app subscriptions almost as quickly as they change their shirt.

AI models could eventually become commodities, so the real opportunity lies in the infrastructure they depend on. I'm talking about the physical systems that support AI: the chips, energy, and cooling technology that data centers require.

The companies providing most of these components are already public, unlike OpenAI and Anthropic, which will likely IPO at eye-popping valuations that leave far less room for new investors to profit. These three companies have powerful AI tailwinds, and adding them to your portfolio could even help you become a millionaire as AI matures over the next decade and beyond.

Still the standard in AI compute Nvidia (NVDA +3.08%) is the biggest company in the world today, and its stock has already generated life-changing returns for those who have held it over the longer term. But the journey isn't over.

The AI data centers being built today are using Nvidia's flagship Blackwell chip architecture, and the company will begin shipping its next-generation Vera Rubin platform by the end of this year. Nvidia is expanding its presence on the server rack with Vera Rubin, a six-chip platform that forms an AI supercomputer and includes both a GPU and a CPU.

CEO Jensen Huang has already stated that Nvidia anticipates $1 trillion in total orders for Blackwell and Vera Rubin across 2026 and 2027, priming the company for more explosive revenue growth. Wall Street estimates that Nvidia's revenue will spike from $253.5 billion over the past 12 months to $391.7 billion this fiscal year and then to $551.7 billion next fiscal year. Analysts also expect 45% annualized earnings growth over the long term.

Big tech companies continue to raise capital to spend on their AI build-outs, which signals that arguably the greatest investment cycle since the industrial revolution could still have plenty of legs. Nvidia is already worth roughly $5 trillion today, but trading at only 23 times its 2026 earnings estimates, this AI stock still has tremendous upside.

A rising star in the inference era Broadcom (AVGO +4.87%) is coming on strong in the AI chip race. Initially, Broadcom's AI business focused on selling networking chips for data centers. But the company has successfully shifted its focus to designing application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) for AI hyperscalers.

While Nvidia's GPUs are the most widely used general-purpose parallel processors, Broadcom customize its chips for each customer to handle the specific AI workloads those chips will see. That cuts their manufacturing costs and makes them more efficient for those particular workloads. That's a big deal when it comes to handling AI inference, where efficiency becomes even more important than at the training stage.

To date, Broadcom has inked AI chip deals with several major AI customers, including Alphabet, Meta Platforms, OpenAI, and Anthropic. Broadcom's AI revenue will surge as these deals ramp up. In its fiscal 2026 second quarter, which ended May 3, the company's revenue from AI semiconductors grew by 143% year over year to $10.8 billion. CEO Hock Tan believes Broadcom will generate over $100 billion in AI semiconductor revenue in 2027. For comparison, its total net revenue in fiscal 2025 was just shy of $64 billion.

Broadcom's soaring AI revenue could drive earnings growth on par with rival Nvidia. Wall Street analysts estimate that Broadcom will grow earnings at an annualized rate of nearly 46% over the long term.

The stock is more expensive than Nvidia at 33 times its 2026 earnings estimates, but Broadcom's market cap is just $1.8 trillion. That's probably still too large for the stock to make you rich overnight, but there's definitely enough room for growth that Broadcom could move the needle for your portfolio over time.

Helping power and cool AI factories Vertiv Holdings (VRT +5.05%) doesn't get anywhere near the level of press coverage that the chip companies do. However, AI can't happen without companies such as Vertiv. It sells crucial infrastructure components, including power and thermal management systems, racks, enclosures, busbars, and monitoring equipment. These products operate behind the scenes to keep data centers energized and cool, arguably the most under-followed piece of the data center equation.

Today's Change

(

Naturally, the business is thriving as companies race to build data centers. Its organic sales in the Americas grew by 44% to $1.8 billion, and operating profit margins rose by 5.1 percentage points. Those rising margins reflect Vertiv's pricing power, as data center builders are prioritizing speed over everything else. The flip side, of course, is that Vertiv's business is essentially in a huge boom. The company will feel the shock when the pace of data center construction drops off.

The big tech companies that have ultimately funded much of this activity are continuing to lean further into AI investments. However, given that Vertiv is trading at a lofty 49 times its 2026 earnings estimates, it would be reasonable for interested investors to wait for a pullback before buying.

That said, analysts estimate that Vertiv will grow its earnings at an annualized rate of more than 32% over the long term, so it might be wise to instead start sooner and dollar-cost average your way into a position. That way, you can avoid getting caught waiting for a lower price that the stock might never reach.

At the center of everything we do is a strong commitment to independent research and sharing its profitable discoveries with investors. This dedication to giving investors a trading advantage led to the creation of our proven Zacks Rank stock-rating system. Since 1988 it has more than doubled the S&P 500 with an average gain of +24.00% per year. These returns cover a period from January 1, 1988 through May 4, 2026. Zacks Rank stock-rating system returns are computed monthly based on the beginning of the month and end of the month Zacks Rank stock prices plus any dividends received during that particular month. A simple, equally-weighted average return of all Zacks Rank stocks is calculated to determine the monthly return. The monthly returns are then compounded to arrive at the annual return. Only Zacks Rank stocks included in Zacks hypothetical portfolios at the beginning of each month are included in the return calculations. Zacks Ranks stocks can, and often do, change throughout the month. Certain Zacks Rank stocks for which no month-end price was available, pricing information was not collected, or for certain other reasons have been excluded from these return calculations. Why Paycom Software (PAYC) is a Top Value Stock for the Long-Term

Taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals for new and old investors, and Zacks Premium offers many different ways to do both.

Featuring daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, full access to the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens, the research service can help you become a smarter, more self-assured investor.

It also includes access to the Zacks Style Scores.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores is a unique set of guidelines that rates stocks based on three popular investing types, and were developed as complementary indicators for the Zacks Rank. This combination helps investors choose securities with the highest chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.

Each stock is given an alphabetic rating of A, B, C, D or F based on their value, growth, and momentum qualities. With this system, an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on, meaning the better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform.

The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:

Value ScoreValue investors love finding good stocks at good prices, especially before the broader market catches on to a stock's true value. Utilizing ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and many other multiples, the Value Style Score identifies the most attractive and most discounted stocks.

Growth ScoreGrowth investors, on the other hand, are more concerned with a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score examines things like projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks that will experience sustainable growth over time.

Momentum ScoreMomentum investors, who live by the saying "the trend is your friend," are most interested in taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Utilizing one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, among other factors, the Momentum Style Score can help determine favorable times to buy high-momentum stocks.

VGM ScoreIf you want a combination of all three Style Scores, then the VGM Score will be your friend. It rates each stock on their combined weighted styles, helping you find the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum. It's also one of the best indicators to use with the Zacks Rank.

How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank The Zacks Rank is a proprietary stock-rating model that harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings expectations, to help investors build a successful portfolio.

It's highly successful, with #1 (Strong Buy) stocks producing an unmatched +24% average annual return since 1988. That's more than double the S&P 500. But because of the large number of stocks we rate, there are over 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, plus another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.

But it can feel overwhelming to pick the right stocks for you and your investing goals with over 800 top-rated stocks to choose from.

That's where the Style Scores come in.

To maximize your returns, you want to buy stocks with the highest probability of success. This means picking stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B. If you find yourself looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, make sure they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.

Since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank, the direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy.

Here's an example: a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one with Style Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings outlook, and a bigger chance its share price will decrease too.

Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

Stock to Watch: Paycom Software (PAYC - Free Report) Headquartered in Oklahoma City, Paycom Software, Inc. is a provider of cloud-based human capital management (HCM) software as a service solution for integrated software for both employee records and talent management processes.

PAYC is a #1 (Strong Buy) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of A.

It also boasts a Value Style Score of B thanks to attractive valuation metrics like a forward P/E ratio of 11.6; value investors should take notice.

Six analysts revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days for fiscal 2026. The Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.29 to $10.66 per share. PAYC boasts an average earnings surprise of +5.7%.

With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Value and VGM Style Scores, PAYC should be on investors' short list.

Here's Why Ally Financial (ALLY) is a Strong Value Stock
ALLY Ally Financial
FMP Stock News
Original source text
It doesn't matter your age or experience: taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals for all investors. Luckily, Zacks Premium offers several different ways to do both.

The research service features daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, full access to the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens, all of which will help you become a smarter, more confident investor.

Zacks Premium also includes the Zacks Style Scores.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? Developed alongside the Zacks Rank, the Zacks Style Scores are a group of complementary indicators that help investors pick stocks with the best chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.

Based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics, each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F. The better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform; an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on.

Growth ScoreWhile good value is important, growth investors are more focused on a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score takes projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow into account to uncover stocks that will see long-term, sustainable growth.

VGM ScoreWhat if you like to use all three types of investing? The VGM Score is a combination of all Style Scores, making it one of the most comprehensive indicators to use with the Zacks Rank. It rates each stock on their combined weighted styles, which helps narrow down the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum.

How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank A proprietary stock-rating model, the Zacks Rank utilizes the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings outlook, to help investors create a successful portfolio.

#1 (Strong Buy) stocks have produced an unmatched +24% average annual return since 1988, which is more than double the S&P 500's performance over the same time frame. However, the Zacks Rank examines a ton of stocks, and there can be more than 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, and another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.

With more than 800 top-rated stocks to choose from, it can certainly feel overwhelming to pick the ones that are right for you and your investing journey.

That's where the Style Scores come in.

To have the best chance of big returns, you'll want to always consider stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B, which will give you the highest probability of success. If you're looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, it's important they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.

Since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank, the direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy.

A stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, for instance, even one with Scores of A and B, will still have a declining earnings forecast, and a greater chance its share price will fall too.

Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

Stock to Watch: Ally Financial (ALLY - Free Report) Founded in 1919, Detroit, MI-based Ally Financial Inc. is a diversified financial services company providing several financial products and services to automotive dealers and their customers. It operates as a financial holding and a bank holding company. Ally Bank is an indirect, wholly-owned banking subsidiary of Ally Financial.

ALLY is a #3 (Hold) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of B.

It also boasts a Value Style Score of A thanks to attractive valuation metrics like a forward P/E ratio of 8.64; value investors should take notice.

Three analysts revised their earnings estimate higher in the last 60 days for fiscal 2026, while the Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.07 to $5.28 per share. ALLY also boasts an average earnings surprise of +17.6%.

With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Value and VGM Style Scores, ALLY should be on investors' short list.

Are You Looking for a High-Growth Dividend Stock?
VOYA Voya Financial
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Getting big returns from financial portfolios, whether through stocks, bonds, ETFs, other securities, or a combination of all, is an investor's dream. However, when you're an income investor, your primary focus is generating consistent cash flow from each of your liquid investments.

Cash flow can come from bond interest, interest from other types of investments, and, of course, dividends. A dividend is that coveted distribution of a company's earnings paid out to shareholders, and investors often view it by its dividend yield, a metric that measures the dividend as a percent of the current stock price. Many academic studies show that dividends make up large portions of long-term returns, and in many cases, dividend contributions surpass one-third of total returns.

Headquartered in New York, Voya Financial (VOYA - Free Report) is a Finance stock that has seen a price change of 21.53% so far this year. Currently paying a dividend of $0.47 per share, the company has a dividend yield of 2.08%. In comparison, the Insurance - Life Insurance industry's yield is 1.73%, while the S&P 500's yield is 1.44%.

Looking at dividend growth, the company's current annualized dividend of $1.88 is up 3.3% from last year. Over the last 5 years, Voya Financial has increased its dividend 4 times on a year-over-year basis for an average annual increase of 34.72%. Looking ahead, future dividend growth will be dependent on earnings growth and payout ratio, which is the proportion of a company's annual earnings per share that it pays out as a dividend. Voya's current payout ratio is 21%, meaning it paid out 21% of its trailing 12-month EPS as dividend.

Looking at this fiscal year, VOYA expects solid earnings growth. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 is $9.60 per share, representing a year-over-year earnings growth rate of 8.47%.

Investors like dividends for many reasons; they greatly improve stock investing profits, decrease overall portfolio risk, and carry tax advantages, among others. However, not all companies offer a quarterly payout.

For instance, it's a rare occurrence when a tech start-up or big growth business offers its shareholders a dividend. It's more common to see larger companies with more established profits give out dividends. Income investors must be conscious of the fact that high-yielding stocks tend to struggle during periods of rising interest rates. With that in mind, VOYA is a compelling investment opportunity. Not only is it a strong dividend play, but the stock currently sits at a Zacks Rank of #3 (Hold).

Growth in the Retirement and Investment Management segments, improved employee benefits segments, strategic acquisitions and partnerships, record net flows, and excess capital generation are driving the stock performance. The momentum is likely to sustain with scope for further upside, supported by continued strength in the Retirement and Investment Management businesses, strategic acquisitions and ongoing share repurchases.

VOYA’s Growth ProjectionThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for Voya Financial’s 2026 earnings per share (EPS) indicates a year-over-year increase of 8.4%. The consensus estimate for revenues is pegged at $1.33 billion, implying a year-over-year decline of 0.7%.

The consensus estimate for 2027 EPS and revenues indicates an increase of 14.8% and 7.4%, respectively, from the corresponding 2026 estimates.

Earnings have grown 8.8% in the past five years, better than the industry average of 5.9%. The expected long-term earnings growth rate is 11.5%.

Muted analyst sentiment for VOYAOne of the three analysts has raised earnings estimates for 2026 and 2027 over the past 30 days. However, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 and 2027 earnings has moved south 0.5% and 2.2%, respectively, over the same period.

Factors Acting in Favor of VOYAVOYA’s earnings are driven by its solid segmental performances across Retirement, Investment Management and Employee Benefits segments. These businesses represent higher-growth, capital-light and higher-return units, bolstering the company’s solid presence in the market.

The Retirement segment is steadily experiencing significant growth on the back of higher revenues, favorable market impacts, higher alternative investment income and active portfolio management, positive defined contribution flows, as well as disciplined management of spend. Management expects strong commercial momentum in retirement, driven by robust sales, more than 95% retention and new plan implementations.

Management described the OneAmerica retirement acquisition as highly successful, generating returns above 30%.  It has meaningfully strengthened the scale and earnings power of the Retirement business, which now serves nearly 10 million Retirement accounts.

The Investment Management segment should benefit from higher investment capital returns, primarily driven by overall market performance, higher fee-based revenues, benefiting from strong commercial momentum and disciplined management of spend. Voya Financial remains confident in sustaining more than 2% organic growth. Management also highlighted continued strength in retail income and growth strategies. VOYA is constantly taking strategic steps to ramp up growth in its Investment Management segment. Voya Financial and Allianz Global Investors' long-term strategic partnership added scale and diversification to Voya Investment Management.

The Employee Benefits segment of the insurer is likely to gain from unfavorable stop-loss claim development in the prior period, a smaller block of business in the current period, lower premium-driven expenses, disciplined management of spend, higher alternative investment income and active portfolio management.

The company’s capital levels remain strong. In the first quarter of 2026, VOYA generated approximately $200 million of excess capital and returned that amount to shareholders through repurchases and dividends. VOYA repurchased an additional $150 million of shares in the second quarter, with $413 million remaining under its buyback authorization.

Risks for VOYAThe company plans to invest up to $75 million of excess capital in 2026 to strengthen its wealth management platform. These investments are expected to create a near-term earnings drag and reduce Retirement segment margins by about 200 basis points.

VOYA faces intense competition from broker-dealers, financial advisors, diversified financial institutions and start-up financial services providers, which could result in increased pressure on the pricing of certain products and services.

Voya's ROE has declined over the past two years due to weaker margins and operational pressures in Health Solutions and Employee Benefits. Additionally, long-term debt rose to $1.9 billion, up 26% from year-end 2025, causing the financial leverage ratio to deteriorate 220 basis points year over year to 29.7%. Higher leverage and lower profitability could weigh on future earnings and returns.

ConclusionVoya Financial is well-positioned for strong earnings growth across all three business segments, positive net flows, favorable retention and strategic partnerships. It should continue to benefit from financial flexibility and effective capital deployment. However, high competition, weakened ROE and a rise in debt are the concerns.

Given the muted analyst sentiment, it is wise to retain this Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) stock. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here

Wendy's Shares Surge On Reported Buyout Interest From Nelson Peltz's Trian
WEN The Wendy's Co.
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Wendy’s stock is charging ahead with explosive momentum. What’s fueling WEN momentum? Wendy's Stock Jumps After Reported Buyout DiscussionsAccording to the Financial Times, Trian has recently held discussions with outside investors, including investors in the Middle East, about financing a potential takeover of Wendy's.

Trian and Peltz currently own 16% of Wendy's. The activist investment firm has a long history with the company dating back to a 2005 activist campaign. Trian executive Peter May and Bradley Peltz, one of Nelson Peltz's sons, also sit on Wendy's board.

The report noted that Wendy's shares have fallen more than 40% over the past year and are down 71% over the last five years. The company last week reported weak quarterly results, citing high beef costs and soft traffic trends.

Trian said in a regulatory filing in February that Wendy's was "undervalued" and that it was considering strategic alternatives, including a potential takeover bid or reducing its stake in the company.

According to the report, Trian has not made a formal approach to acquire Wendy's and there is no guarantee that the financing discussions will result in a deal.

Wendy's said following Trian's February filing that it would "carefully evaluate" any takeover proposal if one materializes. The company is currently in the early stages of its "Fresh Start" turnaround plan aimed at improving U.S. sales and closing underperforming locations.

As of Monday's close, Wendy's had an enterprise value of approximately $5.1 billion.

Wendy’s Shares Move HigherWEN Price Action: At the time of publication, Wendy’s shares are trading 15.38% higher at $7.80, according to data from Benzinga Pro.

Procore Introduces New Suite of Portfolio Management and Capital Planning Capabilities for Owners, Powered by Procore AI
PCOR Procore Technologies
FMP Stock News
Original source text
CARPINTERIA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Procore Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: PCOR), the leading global provider of construction management software, announced new portfolio management and capital planning capabilities designed to transform the way owners manage capital projects through consolidated visibility and control across the entire portfolio—from early project concepts and planning to funding and operations. The new capabilities connect the full capital project lifecycle, giving owners greater visibility across portfolios to identify risk earlier, strengthen governance, and make more informed capital decisions. Embedded Procore AI extends agentic AI capabilities to owners, helping teams identify emerging risks across projects, automate workflows triggered by project events, and quickly surface answers about portfolio health using data connected across their capital programs.

As construction programs grow more complex and capital becomes more expensive, owners have less room for error. Many projects are still being executed against budgets approved 12 to 24 months earlier despite rising costs and shifting market conditions, while disconnected systems limit visibility across projects and financial performance. Nearly 92% of large capital projects fail to finish on time and on budget, with projects running an average of 20 months late and exceeding original estimates by 80%.

“Owners aren’t waking up worried about just one project. They’re thinking about hundreds of millions, sometimes billions, in capital spread across an entire portfolio,” said Geoff Lewis, SVP of Product at Procore. “We're building capital portfolio management capabilities directly into Procore to give owners that visibility in one place. Combined with embedded Procore AI, these capabilities help owners quickly assess project and portfolio health, surface emerging risks, and get answers grounded in construction data across all of their projects so they can make decisions with confidence instead of piecing together information across spreadsheets and disconnected systems.”

Providing a Connected Foundation for Owners

Capital project owners have long operated without a system purpose-built for the full scope of their role. Project management tools were designed for contractors, and financial platforms were not built for construction. The result is a patchwork of spreadsheets, disconnected data, and decisions made without a complete picture.

To address these challenges, Procore has introduced capabilities designed specifically for owners across the capital lifecycle—from early-stage planning through construction delivery and long-term operations, including:

Concept Projects helps owners evaluate early-stage initiatives alongside active work, compare investment options, and route decisions through approval workflows before capital is committed.Portfolio Monitoring provides centralized visibility into budget, schedule, and risk across active projects. Owners can track performance in real time and drill into project-level details when issues emerge.Owners Hub provides personalized dashboards that surface information requiring attention, from financial trends to schedule performance and risk. Views are configurable by role, so leaders see the insights most relevant to their decisions.● Capital Planning replaces disconnected spreadsheets with a live capital plan that helps owners forecast future spending, prioritize investments, and align long-term plans with active projects.Funding Source Management tracks where project funding comes from and how it is spent, making it easier for owners to manage multiple funding sources, maintain compliance, and improve financial accountability.Asset Management helps owners maintain a connected digital record of their assets across the entire lifecycle, linking equipment and spaces to the documentation, maintenance history, warranties, and project information needed to support decisions made during construction and into operations.Together, these capabilities provide owners with connected visibility across their portfolio and asset lifecycle, helping them plan investments, monitor execution, and manage assets in a single environment.

“Using Procore has really helped us make strategic planning decisions about where we want to spend capital in order to grow the business and focus on putting good dollars to work,” said Marc DiGuiseppe, Vice President of Project Delivery at Catalyze.

Turning Portfolio Data into Decisions With Procore AI

Procore AI helps capital project leaders turn project and portfolio data into action. With embedded capabilities like Deep Search, users can ask questions about individual projects and get answers grounded in specifications, submittals, and field documentation, reducing the need to chase down information across teams. To help capital project leaders identify issues earlier, Procore AI can surface emerging financial, schedule, and operational risks across portfolios, providing greater visibility into trends that may require attention.

Unlike horizontal AI tools, Procore AI is built on construction-specific context. Drawing from data across millions of projects, it can help capital project leaders understand not only what is happening across their portfolio, but why—and where action may be needed to help reduce future risk.

Market Availability

Owners Hub, Portfolio Monitoring, Concept Projects, and Asset Management are currently in beta, with general availability planned for summer 2026.

Capital Planning and Funding Source Management are expected to enter beta later this month, with general availability planned for late 2026.

To learn more, visit Procore.com/owners and register for Procore’s June Innovation Summit at Procore.com/Innovation-Summit.

About Procore

NVT vs. APH: Which Electrical Infrastructure Stock is a Better Buy?
APH Amphenol
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways NVT benefits from AI data center demand, with organic orders up about 40% in Q1 2026 and backlog at $2.6B.APH's IT Datacom business surged 99% in Q1 2026, but other markets showed slower growth and mixed demand.NVT trades at a lower forward sales multiple while continuing to expand capacity for future growth. nVent Electric (NVT - Free Report) and Amphenol (APH - Free Report) are two key players in the electrical equipment and connectivity industry. They benefit from growing demand for data centers, electrification and industrial upgrades.

nVent Electric mainly sells electrical enclosures, connections and protection products used across industrial, commercial and infrastructure markets, including data centers. Amphenol designs and manufactures electrical, electronic and fiber-optic connectors and interconnect systems for a wide range of industrial and technology applications.

Both NVT and APH are positioned to benefit from long-term infrastructure and data-center investment trends. However, from an investment point of view, one stock offers a more favorable outlook than the other right now. Let’s break down their fundamentals, growth prospects, market challenges and valuation to determine which stock offers a more compelling investment case.

The Case for nVent Electric StocknVent Electric is benefiting from strong demand for data center infrastructure, which is becoming a major driver of its revenue growth. In the first quarter of 2026, the company reported organic sales growth of 34%, with infrastructure sales rising nearly 80% year over year. Management said data centers were the biggest contributor to growth, helping the company deliver record sales, orders and backlog.

The company is seeing demand across both gray-space and white-space data center applications. In the gray space, growth was driven by engineered buildings, enclosures and power connections. In the white space, liquid cooling, power distribution units and cable management solutions performed well. Management noted that growth was broad-based across the portfolio and supported by demand from hyperscalers, neocloud providers, multitenant operators and distribution partners.

nVent Electric's order trends also remain strong. Organic orders increased about 40% in the first quarter, largely driven by AI data center projects. Backlog reached a record $2.6 billion, rising in the low double digits sequentially. The company stated that most of its backlog extends beyond 12 months and into 2027, providing visibility into future revenues. In the first quarter, new products added more than 20 percentage points to sales growth, with many of those products tied to data center applications.

To support demand, nVent Electric is increasing capacity across its operations, which should help the company generate more revenue once fully ramped up. The company recently opened its new Blaine, MN, facility and expects production to ramp through 2026. It is also investing in additional capacity for liquid cooling and other data center products. Overall, the above-mentioned factors show that data center demand is likely to remain an important revenue growth driver for the company.

The Case for Amphenol StockAmphenol is seeing strong growth from rising investments in AI data centers, on the back of rising demand for the company’s products, which are used to transfer data and power inside AI servers, racks and data centers. In the first quarter of 2026, Amphenol’s IT Datacom segment delivered exceptional results. Sales in the IT Datacom segment increased 99% year over year and 81% organically. The segment accounted for 41% of total company sales, making it Amphenol’s largest business.

Demand for AI-related products remained the biggest growth driver during the first quarter. IT Datacom sales increased 27% sequentially, and 16% on an organic basis. Management noted that virtually all of this organic sequential growth came from AI-related products. Customer demand also remained strong. Amphenol reported record company-wide orders of $9.4 billion and a book-to-bill ratio of 1.24. Management noted that customers continue to increase purchases for AI infrastructure projects and are asking for more products as they expand data center capacity.

The company remains well-positioned to benefit from future AI spending. Amphenol supplies a broad range of high-speed copper, fiber-optic and power interconnect products that are used throughout AI data centers. The recent CommScope acquisition further expanded the company’s fiber and connectivity offerings, allowing it to participate in more areas of the data center architecture. Looking ahead, management expects IT Datacom sales to increase in the low teens sequentially in the second quarter of 2026. The outlook is supported by continued investments in AI data centers as well as healthy demand from enterprise and cloud customers.

While AI-related demand remains very strong, some of Amphenol's other businesses are growing at a much slower pace. In the mobile devices end market, organic sales increased only 1% in the first quarter. Management said growth in laptops and accessories was offset by weaker demand for handsets and wearables. The company expects mobile device sales to decline modestly in the second quarter of 2026 due to normal seasonal patterns.

In communications networks, organic sales were flat year over year. Here, stronger wireless demand was offset by weaker broadband demand. In the second quarter of 2026, sales in this market are expected to remain at first-quarter levels, indicating no meaningful near-term growth. The above-mentioned factors show that most of Amphenol's current growth is coming from AI-related IT datacom products. If AI spending slows, the slower growth in mobile devices and communications networks markets could weigh on the company's prospects in the near term.

NVT vs. APH: Earnings Estimate TrendThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for NVT’s 2026 and 2027 EPS is pegged at $4.55 and $5.57, respectively. The estimates for fiscal 2026 and 2027 have been revised upward by 9.6% and 15.1%, respectively, over the past 60 days.

Currently, nVent Electric is trading at a forward sales multiple of 5.39X, lower than Amphenol’s forward sales multiple of 5.66X. APH does seem pricey compared with NVT. In contrast, NVT’s reasonable valuation makes it more attractive for investors looking for value and stability.

Conclusion: NVT Has an Edge Over APHBoth nVent Electric and Amphenol are benefiting from higher spending on AI data centers and infrastructure. However, APH’s near-term prospects suffer from weakness in mobile devices and communications networks end markets, which could limit near-term growth.

In contrast, nVent Electric is experiencing strong demand for data center infrastructure, which is helping drive strong orders and a growing backlog. Further, NVT’s reasonable valuation offers some downside protection as well, making the stock an attractive buy.

Currently, nVent Electric sports a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), giving a clear edge over Amphenol, which carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy). You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank stocks here.

NVST Stock Rallies 37.1% in a Year: What's Behind the Drive?
NVST Envista Holdings
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Envista posted positive growth across major businesses in Q1 2026, led by key dental segments.NVST expanded margins despite higher tariff costs, aided by pricing and supply-chain actions.Envista acquired Versah and launched new implant, aligner and AI-enhanced dental solutions. Envista (NVST - Free Report) shares have shown impressive momentum over the past 12 months, with shares rising 37.1%. The stock has outpaced the industry’s 30.3% fall and the S&P 500 Composite’s 28.2% increase.

Carrying a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) at present, the global dental product company continues to advance its three core priorities. New product innovation is playing a key role in its accelerating growth. Envista’s value-adding acquisitions in core dental categories and favorable solvency are also highly promising.

Headquartered in Brea, CA, Envista Holdings is a global family of more than 30 dental brands, including Nobel Biocare, Ormco, DEXIS and Kerr. The company’s diversified portfolio of solutions covers a broad range of dentists' clinical needs for diagnosing, treating and preventing dental conditions as well as improving the aesthetics of the human smile. Envista serves dental professionals in more than 130 countries through one of the largest commercial organizations in the dental products industry and through distribution partners.

Factors Supporting NVST’s Price RallyThe rally in the company’s share price can be linked to its ongoing strategic progress around three areas — growth, operations and people. The growth priority is built on four pillars. In the first quarter of 2026, all major businesses delivered positive growth, with 8.4% core growth in the Specialty Products & Technologies segment and 11.5% core growth in the Equipment and Consumables segment. The company has been reinvesting to support durable share gains, with sales and marketing and R&D both up double digits and new products central to results. Recent launches included Nobel S Series in implants, the Spark clear aligner launch in Japan and DEXIS software enhancements that add AI-driven workflow and diagnostics tools.

The Envista Business System continued to deliver broad-based operational benefits, supporting gross margin expansion of 100 basis points and adjusted EBITDA margin growth of 120 basis points. Despite a $11 million year-over-year increase in tariff costs, Envista successfully offset the impact through supply chain, G&A and pricing initiatives. The company is advancing its continuous improvement culture, supported by steady gains in employee engagement and talent development.

Developed markets were the key growth engine in first-quarter 2026, with North America and Europe both delivering double-digit gains. Developing markets grew at a high-single-digit rate, excluding softness in China tied to policy uncertainty. The Spark launch in Japan adds a new growth vector in a sizable aligner market where the company already has strong orthodontic relationships, creating a cross-sell opportunity into clear aligners. Management also highlighted continued progress with DSOs and clinician education as levers to deepen penetration.

Envista continues to use M&A to broaden its clinical offering and strengthen go-to-market positions in attractive dental segments. In first-quarter 2026, it acquired Versah for about $54.7 million, adding the Densah Burs system used for osseodensification — a technique designed to improve osteointegration in certain implant indications. This builds on prior acquisitions that expanded implants and imaging, including Osteogenics and the Carestream intraoral scanner business that now operates within the DEXIS portfolio, and supports a more competitive implants platform over time.

The company remains financially strong.  As of April 3, 2026, Envista held $1.08 billion of cash and cash equivalents, while current debt was nil. Long-term debt was $1.44 billion, down from $1.45 billion in the previous quarter.

What Ails NVST?China remains a source of uncertainty for the implants business as channel partners continue to adjust inventory levels ahead of the anticipated volume-based procurement process, which management expects to begin between the second and third quarters. Tariffs also remain a cost headwind.

A Glance at NVST’s EstimatesThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for NVST’s 2026 and 2027 earnings per share (EPS) is expected to increase 19.3% and 9.3% year over year, respectively, to $1.42 and $1.55. In the past 60 days, the consensus mark for the company's 2026 EPS has risen 2 cents.

Revenues for 2026 are projected to grow 5.2% to $2.86 billion and another 3.4% to $2.96 billion in 2027.

Can Opendoor Scale Acquisitions While Maintaining Capital Discipline?
OPEN Opendoor Technologies
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways OPEN entered contracts on more than 5,000 homes, its strongest acquisition quarter since 2022.OPEN ended the quarter with $999M in cash and $7.1B of non-recourse borrowing capacity.Opendoor said contribution margins improved for six straight months, with EBITDA break-even expected. Opendoor Technologies (OPEN - Free Report) is showing increasing confidence that it can grow acquisition volumes while maintaining the financial discipline needed to achieve profitability. The company’s first-quarter 2026 earnings call highlighted significant progress on both fronts, suggesting that its revamped operating model is beginning to deliver results.

A key indicator is the sharp increase in acquisition activity. Opendoor entered into contracts on more than 5,000 homes during the quarter, its strongest performance since 2022, while home purchases rose 45% sequentially to 2,474 properties. Management noted that this growth is not being fueled by aggressive pricing but by improved underwriting, better customer conversion and new offerings such as cash now, more later.

Just as important, the company appears determined to avoid the capital-intensive mistakes of the past. Opendoor ended the quarter with $999 million in unrestricted cash and emphasized that inventory growth has been accompanied by improving inventory quality and faster resale velocity. Homes on the market for more than 120 days declined to 10% from 51% two quarters earlier, reducing holding costs and improving capital efficiency.

Management also stressed that growth will be supported by existing liquidity and financing capacity rather than by dilutive equity raises. The company has $7.1 billion of non-recourse borrowing capacity available, providing ample room to fund acquisitions while preserving shareholder value.

With contribution margins improving for six straight months and adjusted EBITDA expected to reach break-even in the second quarter, Opendoor believes it can continue to scale acquisitions while remaining disciplined. If these trends persist, the company may be positioned to achieve profitable growth even in a challenging housing market.

Rivals Are Also Pursuing Growth With Financial DisciplineOpendoor operates in a competitive real estate technology market where balancing growth and capital efficiency remains a key challenge. Two notable peers in this space are Offerpad Solutions (OPAD - Free Report) and Zillow Group (ZG - Free Report) .

Offerpad Solutions, another iBuyer-focused company, has adopted a cautious growth strategy following the housing market slowdown. Like Opendoor, Offerpad Solutions has prioritized inventory quality, disciplined home acquisitions and faster inventory turnover to reduce market risk. The company continues to focus on improving unit economics and preserving liquidity rather than pursuing growth at any cost, reflecting a similar emphasis on capital discipline.

Meanwhile, Zillow Group has taken a different approach after shutting down its Zillow Offers home-flipping business in 2021. Instead of owning large inventories of homes, Zillow Group is expanding its asset-light housing ecosystem through services such as mortgages, touring, seller solutions and transaction facilitation. This strategy allows Zillow Group to benefit from housing-market activity while minimizing balance-sheet risk and capital requirements.

While their business models differ, both competitors highlight the industry's broader shift toward profitable growth, operational efficiency and prudent capital allocation.

OPEN’s Stock Price Performance, Valuation & EstimatesShares of Opendoor have skyrocketed 667.9% in the past year against the industry’s 16.2% decline.

From a valuation standpoint, OPEN trades at a forward price-to-sales (P/S) multiple of 0.79, significantly below the industry’s average of 3.74.

What this transaction means for investorsThe June 16 sale of Opendoor stock by Director David Benson isn’t a cause for investor concern, given it was performed to fulfill tax withholding obligations incurred in connection with the vesting of restricted stock units.

The disposition came at an interesting time for Opendoor shares. The company was selected for inclusion in the Russell 3000 Index towards the end of May, and the stock remains well above its 52-week low of $0.51 per share reached last June.

In the first quarter, revenue fell 433% year over year to $720 million as Opendoor made its strategic shift. The company’s net loss widened to $173 million from a loss of $85 million in the prior year, but management believes Opendoor can be adjusted net income positive by the end of 2026.

Bruker Gains 50.3% in a Year: What's Driving the Rally?
BRKR Bruker Corporation
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Bruker shares rose 50.3% in a year, aided by strong BSI NANO growth and solid bookings. Bruker saw AI-driven demand lift metrology tool orders, with Semi Metrology above $300M revenues. Bruker cut long-term debt to $1.66B and generated $47.0M in first-quarter free cash flow. Bruker Corporation (BRKR - Free Report) has witnessed strong momentum over the past year. Shares of the company have risen 50.3%, outperforming the industry’s 42.5% growth. The S&P 500 composite has increased 28.2% during the same time frame.

With healthy fundamentals and strong growth opportunities, this Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) company appears to be a solid wealth creator for its investors at the moment.

Bruker designs and manufactures proprietary life science and materials research systems and associated products. Bruker is located at 90 regions across the globe. It has direct sales forces employed through North America, Europe, Japan, Asia Pacific and Australia.

The company reports through four segments — Bruker Scientific Instruments (“BSI”) BioSpin, BSI CALID (Chemicals, Applied Markets, Life Science, In Vitro Diagnostics, Detection), BSI NANO, and Bruker Energy & Supercon Technologies (“BEST”).

Factors Favoring BRKR’s Share Price GrowthBruker’s share price is trending upward, prompted by its strong growth of BSI NANO segment. Within this, the company highlighted organic bookings growth above expectations in the first quarter of 2026, with BSI book-to-bill above 1.0X for the third consecutive quarter.

AI-driven demand for memory chips and advanced packaging continued to drive orders for metrology tools. Semi Metrology has grown into a business generating more than $300 million in annual revenues.

Investors are currently focused on the company’s strong market share gain in preclinical imaging (PCI) space. In the first quarter of 2026, BioSpin reported acceptance of an 18 Tesla preclinical MRI system, reinforcing Bruker’s positioning at the high end of the installed base.

Over time, broader adoption of imaging in translational research can support system demand and service pull-through, particularly as new hyperpolarization and workflow enhancements increase the utility of MRI-based platforms.

From a solvency viewpoint, cash and cash equivalents totaled $133.4 million at the end of the first quarter of 2026 compared with $298.8 million at the close of 2025. The company repaid $181.3 million of long-term debt, reducing the balance to $1.66 billion as of March 31, 2026, from $1.85 billion at year-end 2025. This reflects the debt paydown and working capital usage, including higher inventories.

Net leverage declined to 2.9X at the end of the quarter. The bullish 2026 outlook supports continued investments in business. Bruker generated $71.2 million of operating cash flow in the first quarter and spent $24.2 million on capital expenditures, resulting in $47.0 million of free cash flow.

Factors That May Offset BRKR’s GainsBruker’s business remains vulnerable to tariffs and currency effects, which influenced year-over-year results in the first quarter of 2026. Adjusted operating margin declined to 10.2% from 12.7% in the year-ago period, partly tied to tariff-related changes and foreign exchange.

In the first quarter of 2026, foreign exchange reduced adjusted EPS by $0.05. For full-year 2026, management continues to assume an EPS currency impact of about 8%, which can limit comparability and keep consensus estimates sensitive to rate moves.

The company also faces competition in the life science tools, metrology and diagnostics markets from larger peers that benefit from broad installed bases and significant scale in R&D and distribution. In a softer demand setting for academic and industrial customers, competitive discounting and mix shifts can reduce returns from growth initiatives.

A Look at BRKR’s EstimatesThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 EPS has remained unchanged at $2.12 in the past 30 days.

The company has an estimated long-term EPS growth rate of 14.8%, in line with the industry’s growth rate.

Stocks to ConsiderSome better-ranked stocks in the broader medical space are Globus Medical (GMED - Free Report) , Integra LifeSciences (IART - Free Report) and Phibro Animal Health (PAHC - Free Report) .

Globus Medical has an earnings yield of 5.5%, well ahead of the industry’s negative 3% yield. Its earnings surpassed estimates in each of the trailing four quarters, the average surprise being 26.3%. The company’s shares have rallied 43.8% against the industry’s 4.8% decline over the past year.

GMED carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) at present. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

1 Under-the-Radar Stock Riding the AI Boom (Hint: It's Not Nvidia)
AMKR Amkor Technology
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Artificial intelligence (AI) investors usually start with Nvidia. That makes sense. The chipmaker sells the graphics processing units (GPUs) that have become the defining hardware of the AI boom.

But the AI supply chain doesn't stop with the chip designer. As accelerators become more complex, semiconductor companies increasingly need advanced packaging -- the step that helps multiple pieces of silicon, memory, and other components work together inside one finished device.

That is where Amkor Technology (AMKR +4.63%) comes in.

Shares of Amkor have more than doubled in 2026 as of this writing, helped by rising interest in advanced packaging and a new 10-year agreement with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing. The move has turned a relatively quiet packaging and test company into one of the more interesting ways to play AI infrastructure without buying Nvidia.

So, is the stock still worth buying after such a big run?

Amkor's role in AI chips Amkor is an outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) provider. In simpler terms, chip companies and foundries use Amkor to help package and test chips before they make their way into end products.

The company's latest quarter showed why investors are paying attention. Amkor's first-quarter revenue rose 27% year over year to a first-quarter record $1.68 billion. Advanced products, which include flip chip, memory, and wafer-level processing, accounted for $1.37 billion of that revenue. Computing, which includes data center, infrastructure, PCs, laptops, and storage, represented 21% of net sales.

Even more, management said revenue from AI data center applications reached a record in the quarter, driven by strength across multiple customers.

"Leading chip companies continue to trust us for their advanced packaging and test needs," said Amkor CEO Kevin Engel in the company's first-quarter earnings call.

Amkor isn't trying to displace Nvidia. It is trying to become a more important partner to the companies building increasingly complicated chips.

The company's investments line up with that opportunity. Management said it continues to invest in high-density fan-out (HDFO), flip chip, and test capabilities, calling these technologies critical to next-generation AI and high-performance computing. A new HDFO data center CPU program was expected to start ramping in the second quarter, with more meaningful revenue contribution in the third quarter.

Then there is Arizona.

On Tuesday, Amkor and TSMC announced a 10-year agreement under which TSMC can procure advanced packaging and testing services from Amkor in Arizona. Amkor's Arizona campus is expected to support key customers, including Apple and Nvidia, with the first manufacturing facility expected to be completed in mid-2027 and production beginning in early 2028.

The risks aren't small The problem for investors is that the market has already noticed.

At about $87 per share as of this writing, Amkor trades at about 50 times earnings. That is a rich valuation for a cyclical semiconductor supplier, even for one with a compelling AI-related growth story. It also leaves less room for disappointment if the advanced packaging ramp takes longer than investors expect.

To Amkor's credit, the near-term outlook is strong. Management guided for second-quarter revenue of $1.75 billion to $1.85 billion and earnings per share of $0.42 to $0.52. At the midpoint, both figures would be even higher than Amkor's strong first-quarter results.

But the opportunity is capital-intensive. Amkor expects 2026 capital expenditures of $2.5 billion to $3.0 billion. Management said 65% to 70% of that spending is projected for facilities expansion, including Phase 1 of the Arizona campus, while 30% to 35% is projected for HDFO, test, and other advanced packaging capacity.

That spending could pay off. But it also raises execution risk. Management expects start-up costs tied to Arizona to begin diluting operating income margin by 1 to 2 percentage points in 2027 before improving in 2028.

There is also customer-concentration risk. Amkor's top 10 customers accounted for 68% of net sales in the first quarter. That can be great when big customers are leaning into new programs. But it can hurt quickly if demand shifts or a customer uses another supplier.

Overall, Amkor is a fascinating AI infrastructure stock. It gives investors exposure to a real bottleneck in the semiconductor supply chain, and its TSMC agreement makes the Arizona story more credible. But after the stock's huge run, I wouldn't chase it aggressively here.

With that said, for investors who want a one-layer-deeper AI stock, Amkor deserves a spot on the watch list.

Can Strong Smartphone Demand Sustain AMKR's Growth Momentum?
AMKR Amkor Technology
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Amkor is benefiting from stronger demand for advanced packaging in premium smartphones.AMKR is expanding capacity and optimizing production to support higher-value packaging programs.AMKR faces competition from ASE Technology and TSMC as advanced packaging demand rises. Amkor Technology (AMKR - Free Report) continues to benefit from a favorable shift in premium smartphone architecture as a structural growth lever. Premium device adoption is rising alongside accelerating 5G penetration and deeper on device AI integration, pushing processor complexity higher. As semiconductor content per handset expands, demand for advanced packaging formats such as flip chip and system in package solutions should remain well supported within Amkor's communications business.

The communications segment delivered 42% year over year growth in the first quarter of 2026 on healthy iOS ecosystem demand and stable Android shipments across premium tiers. To support this momentum, Amkor is expanding advanced packaging capacity in Korea and Taiwan while shifting select systems in package production to Vietnam, freeing space for higher value programs and lifting utilization across its advanced packaging network. Communications revenue is guided to grow in the mid to high single-digit range sequentially in the second quarter on continued iOS strength, with the full year outlook improving toward high single-digit growth and potentially approaching double digits.

However, material pricing pressures tied to advanced silicon and substrate costs, along with broader geopolitical uncertainty, could complicate margin capture even if volume trends hold. Concentration within premium-tier programs and the iOS ecosystem leaves the segment exposed to demand timing shifts.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter advanced products revenues is pegged at $1.52 billion, implying growth of 24% from the year-ago period, a signal that premium smartphone content gains are translating into higher value revenue rather than just unit volume. Sustaining that trajectory through the back half will hinge on whether iOS and premium Android momentum holds up as comparisons grow tougher.

AMKR Faces Stiff CompetitionAmkor faces increasing competition from ASE Technology (ASX - Free Report) and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSM - Free Report) , both of which are expanding advanced packaging capabilities to address rising semiconductor content in premium smartphones.

ASE Technology continues to invest in advanced system-in-package and flip-chip technologies used in flagship mobile devices and AI-enabled applications. Meanwhile, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company is aggressively scaling advanced packaging solutions to support increasingly complex processors across smartphones and high-performance computing markets. As ASE Technology and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company strengthen their positions, Amkor must continue advancing its packaging technologies and deepening relationships with premium smartphone customers to sustain growth.

AMKR’s Share Price Performance, Valuation & EstimatesAmkor Technology shares have surged 119.3% in the year to date period compared with the Zacks Electronics - Semiconductors industry’s appreciation of 59.6% and the Zacks Computer and Technology sector’s return of 20.2%.

Cameco vs. Centrus Energy: Which Uranium Stock is the Better Buy Now?
UEC Uranium Energy Corp
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Cameco posted 7% Q1 revenue growth and adjusted earnings jumped 194% year over year.Centrus raised 2026 revenue guidance and reported a $3.9 billion backlog extending to 2040.CCJ's 2026 and 2027 earnings outlook outpaces LEU, whose estimates point to declines. Cameco Corp. (CCJ - Free Report) and Centrus Energy (UEC - Free Report) are two prominent names positioned to benefit from the growing global demand for nuclear power.

Cameco is one of the world’s largest uranium producers with an integrated business spanning mining, milling and fuel services. The company owns interests in world-class assets such as McArthur River and Cigar Lake and benefits from established production, long-term contracts and strong operating cash flows. Centrus Energy supplies nuclear fuel and services for the nuclear power industry, and is pioneering the production of High-Assay, Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU).

As governments increasingly embrace nuclear energy to meet rising electricity demand and decarbonization goals, both companies appear well-placed for long-term growth. In this context, which stock offers better long-term growth prospects, Cameco or Centrus Energy? To make an informed decision, let us analyze their fundamentals, growth potential and key challenges.

The Case for CCJIn the first quarter of 2026, Cameco’s total revenues were up 7% to CAD 845 million ($616 million), reflecting improved performance of the uranium segment, which helped offset lower revenues in Fuel services.  Uranium revenues increased 15% to CAD712 million ($520 million) on higher volumes and prices. Fuel Services revenues were down 1% year over year to CAD 134 million ($98 million), with higher volumes being offset by a 17% decline in average realized prices.

Cameco’s adjusted earnings surged 194% year over year to CAD 0.47 (34 cents) per share in the quarter. This was mainly attributed to higher revenues and stronger equity earnings from its 49% interest in Westinghouse Electric Company.

For 2026, CCJ expects its share of uranium production from McArthur River mine/Key Lake and Cigar Lake to range between 19.5 million and 21.5 million pounds compared with 21 million pounds of uranium in 2025. Although flooding in northern Saskatchewan temporarily disrupted operations at the Key Lake mill and McArthur River earlier this year, management has established a reliable flow of critical supplies through a secondary transportation route, restoring operations.

Cameco’s share of uranium from Cigar Lake is currently expected to be 9.5-10 million pounds and McArthur River’s contribution is anticipated at 10.0-11.5 million pounds for 2026. Cameco recently announced plans to increase its stake in Cigar Lake to 57.418%. Following the closure of the deal, which is expected in the third quarter of 2026, the guidance from the mine is expected to be revised subsequently.

Uranium deliveries are targeted at 29-32 million pounds for 2026, below the 33 million pounds delivered in 2025. Uranium revenues are projected at CAD 2.54–2.73 billion for 2026, which implies a 7% year-over-year decline at the midpoint due to lower volumes. The fuel services segment is expected to fare better, with revenues projected at CAD 590-630 million, suggesting a 9% increase from 2025 levels.  Cameco’s total revenue guidance for the year is CAD 3.13-3.37 billion, indicating a 7% decline at the midpoint from 2025.

Cameco also benefits from excellent long-term contract visibility. As of March 31, 2026, Cameco had secured contracts requiring average annual uranium deliveries of more than 28 million pounds per year over the next five years. The company also has sale contracts for roughly 83 million kilograms of UF6 conversion to 33 customers.

Cameco is investing to expand production and capture favorable market conditions, including extending Cigar Lake’s mine life to 2036 and ramping up output at McArthur River and Key Lake toward their licensed annual capacity of 25 million pounds (100% basis).

The Case for Centrus EnergyFor the first quarter of 2026, Centrus Energy reported revenue growth of 5% year over year to $76.7 million. Revenues from the Low-Enriched Uranium segment decreased 13% year over year to $44.6 million. Management noted that SWU revenues slid 19% to $41.6 million as the volume of SWU sold fell 47%, partly offset by a 52% jump in the average selling price. Uranium sales added $3 million in the quarter.
The Technical Solutions segment generated revenues of $32.1 million, up 47% from the year-ago quarter. The lift was primarily tied to a $9.8 million increase from the HALEU Operation Contract with the Department of Energy.

Centrus Energy raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to a range of $450-$500 million from the prior range of $425-$475 million. As of March 31, 2026, the total company backlog was $3.9 billion, which extends to 2040, providing significant long-term revenue visibility.

The company is pursuing a multi-billion-dollar expansion of its Piketon, OH, facility to increase LEU and HALEU output and support more than $2.4 billion of contingent LEU sales commitments that are under definitive agreements as of March 31, 2026. The company continues to expect total capital deployment of $350-$500 million in 2026, driven by increased investment tied to its industrial buildout.

To improve operational efficiency, Centrus Energy has partnered with Palantir Technologies (PLTR - Free Report) and identified nearly $300 million in potential cost savings tied to its expansion initiatives.

The company is targeting annual HALEU production of 12 metric tons sometime after 2030, with initial production expected before the end of the decade.

Importantly, Centrus Energy remains the only licensed producer of HALEU in the Western world, giving it a unique strategic advantage as demand for advanced reactor fuel grows. Management estimates the HALEU market opportunity could reach $8 billion annually by 2035.

The company recently signed an agreement with Oklo Inc. (OKLO - Free Report) under which Centrus Energy will supply enough HALEU to power up to five Aurora powerhouses for multiple years, with deliveries to Oklo scheduled to begin in 2029. Centrus Energy will supply HALEU from the American Centrifuge Plant in Ohio to support Oklo’s planned 1.2 GW power campus in the region.

How do Estimates Compare for Cameco & Centrus Energy? The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Cameco’s 2026 earnings indicate a year-over-year increase of 17.5%. The estimate for 2027 indicates a year-over-year rise of 58.7%.

The consensus estimate for Centrus Energy’s 2026 earnings is pegged at $2.74 per share, which indicates a year-over-year decline of 29.7%. The estimate for 2027 earnings is pinned at $2.73 per share, indicating a year-over-year dip of 0.14%.

Over the past 90 days, the EPS estimates for Cameco’s fiscal 2026 have moved down, while the estimates for 2027 have moved up. The estimates for Centrus Energy for both fiscal 2026 and fiscal 2027 have moved down in the same timeframe.

CCJ & LEU: Price Performance & ValuationIn the past six months, Cameco stock has appreciated 23% while Centrus Energy shares have declined 18.4%.

Cameco is trading at a forward price-to-earnings multiple of 63.08X. Centrus Energy’s forward sales multiple sits at 62.25X.

ConclusionBoth Centrus Energy and Cameco are poised to thrive as nuclear energy gains global traction. Cameco offers scale, diversification and steady earnings visibility through its integrated fuel cycle and Westinghouse investment. Centrus Energy is uniquely positioned to drive the next phase of nuclear innovation through HALEU production.

Both stocks currently have a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) each, which makes choosing one a difficult task. From a price performance standpoint and earnings growth projections, Cameco is the more appealing option at the moment, albeit at a slightly higher valuation.

Brokers Suggest Investing in Uranium Energy (UEC): Read This Before Placing a Bet
UEC Uranium Energy Corp
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Investors often turn to recommendations made by Wall Street analysts before making a Buy, Sell, or Hold decision about a stock. While media reports about rating changes by these brokerage-firm employed (or sell-side) analysts often affect a stock's price, do they really matter?

Let's take a look at what these Wall Street heavyweights have to say about Uranium Energy (UEC - Free Report) before we discuss the reliability of brokerage recommendations and how to use them to your advantage.

Uranium Energy currently has an average brokerage recommendation (ABR) of 1.44, on a scale of 1 to 5 (Strong Buy to Strong Sell), calculated based on the actual recommendations (Buy, Hold, Sell, etc.) made by nine brokerage firms. An ABR of 1.44 approximates between Strong Buy and Buy.

Of the nine recommendations that derive the current ABR, seven are Strong Buy, representing 77.8% of all recommendations.

Brokerage Recommendation Trends for UEC

Check price target & stock forecast for Uranium Energy here>>>

While the ABR calls for buying Uranium Energy, it may not be wise to make an investment decision solely based on this information. Several studies have shown limited to no success of brokerage recommendations in guiding investors to pick stocks with the best price increase potential.

Are you wondering why? The vested interest of brokerage firms in a stock they cover often results in a strong positive bias of their analysts in rating it. Our research shows that for every "Strong Sell" recommendation, brokerage firms assign five "Strong Buy" recommendations.

This means that the interests of these institutions are not always aligned with those of retail investors, giving little insight into the direction of a stock's future price movement. It would therefore be best to use this information to validate your own analysis or a tool that has proven to be highly effective at predicting stock price movements.

With an impressive externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool, the Zacks Rank, which classifies stocks into five groups, ranging from Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) to Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell), is a reliable indicator of a stock's near-term price performance. So, validating the Zacks Rank with ABR could go a long way in making a profitable investment decision.

ABR Should Not Be Confused With Zacks RankIn spite of the fact that Zacks Rank and ABR both appear on a scale from 1 to 5, they are two completely different measures.

Broker recommendations are the sole basis for calculating the ABR, which is typically displayed in decimals (such as 1.28). The Zacks Rank, on the other hand, is a quantitative model designed to harness the power of earnings estimate revisions. It is displayed in whole numbers -- 1 to 5.

Analysts employed by brokerage firms have been and continue to be overly optimistic with their recommendations. Since the ratings issued by these analysts are more favorable than their research would support because of the vested interest of their employers, they mislead investors far more often than they guide.

In contrast, the Zacks Rank is driven by earnings estimate revisions. And near-term stock price movements are strongly correlated with trends in earnings estimate revisions, according to empirical research.

Furthermore, the different grades of the Zacks Rank are applied proportionately across all stocks for which brokerage analysts provide earnings estimates for the current year. In other words, at all times, this tool maintains a balance among the five ranks it assigns.

There is also a key difference between the ABR and Zacks Rank when it comes to freshness. When you look at the ABR, it may not be up-to-date. Nonetheless, since brokerage analysts constantly revise their earnings estimates to reflect changing business trends, and their actions get reflected in the Zacks Rank quickly enough, it is always timely in predicting future stock prices.

Is UEC a Good Investment?Looking at the earnings estimate revisions for Uranium Energy, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current year has declined 30.4% over the past month to -$0.19.

Analysts' growing pessimism over the company's earnings prospects, as indicated by strong agreement among them in revising EPS estimates lower, could be a legitimate reason for the stock to plunge in the near term.

The size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, has resulted in a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell) for Uranium Energy. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>>

Therefore, it could be wise to take the Buy-equivalent ABR for Uranium Energy with a grain of salt.

Here's Why Weatherford (WFRD) is a Strong Value Stock
WFRD Weatherford International
FMP Stock News

Taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals for new and old investors, and Zacks Premium offers many different ways to do both.

The popular research service can help you become a smarter, more self-assured investor, giving you access to daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens.

Zacks Premium also includes the Zacks Style Scores.

What are the Zacks Style Scores?

Momentum ScoreMomentum traders and investors live by the saying "the trend is your friend." This investing style is all about taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Employing factors like one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, the Momentum Style Score can indicate favorable times to build a position in high-momentum stocks.

How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank The Zacks Rank is a proprietary stock-rating model that harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings expectations, to help investors build a successful portfolio.

This totals more than 800 top-rated stocks, and it can be overwhelming to try and pick the best stocks for you and your portfolio.

That's where the Style Scores come in.

You want to make sure you're buying stocks with the highest likelihood of success, and to do that, you'll need to pick stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B. If you like a stock that only has a #3 (Hold) rank, it should also have Scores of A or B to guarantee as much upside potential as possible.

The direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should always be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy, since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank.

Toast (TOST - Free Report) has been one of the most searched-for stocks on Zacks.com lately. So, you might want to look at some of the facts that could shape the stock's performance in the near term.

Shares of this restaurant software provider have returned +8% over the past month versus the Zacks S&P 500 composite's +1.6% change. The Zacks Internet - Software industry, to which Toast belongs, has gained 2.4% over this period. Now the key question is: Where could the stock be headed in the near term?

Although media reports or rumors about a significant change in a company's business prospects usually cause its stock to trend and lead to an immediate price change, there are always certain fundamental factors that ultimately drive the buy-and-hold decision.

Revisions to Earnings EstimatesRather than focusing on anything else, we at Zacks prioritize evaluating the change in a company's earnings projection. This is because we believe the fair value for its stock is determined by the present value of its future stream of earnings.

We essentially look at how sell-side analysts covering the stock are revising their earnings estimates to reflect the impact of the latest business trends. And if earnings estimates go up for a company, the fair value for its stock goes up. A higher fair value than the current market price drives investors' interest in buying the stock, leading to its price moving higher. This is why empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements.

Toast is expected to post earnings of $0.32 per share for the current quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +33.3%. Over the last 30 days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate has changed +3.9%.

The consensus earnings estimate of $1.35 for the current fiscal year indicates a year-over-year change of +51.7%. This estimate has changed +1.8% over the last 30 days.

For the next fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $1.72 indicates a change of +27% from what Toast is expected to report a year ago. Over the past month, the estimate has changed -1.1%.

Having a strong externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool, the Zacks Rank, offers a more conclusive picture of a stock's price direction in the near term, since it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions. Due to the size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, Toast is rated Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy).

The chart below shows the evolution of the company's forward 12-month consensus EPS estimate:

12 Month EPS

Revenue Growth ForecastEven though a company's earnings growth is arguably the best indicator of its financial health, nothing much happens if it cannot raise its revenues. It's almost impossible for a company to grow its earnings without growing its revenue for long periods. Therefore, knowing a company's potential revenue growth is crucial.

For Toast, the consensus sales estimate for the current quarter of $1.87 billion indicates a year-over-year change of +20.8%. For the current and next fiscal years, $7.38 billion and $8.7 billion estimates indicate +19.9% and +17.8% changes, respectively.

Last Reported Results and Surprise HistoryToast reported revenues of $1.63 billion in the last reported quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +21.9%. EPS of $0.29 for the same period compares with $0.2 a year ago.

Compared to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.63 billion, the reported revenues represent a surprise of +0.1%. The EPS surprise was +3.57%.

Over the last four quarters, Toast surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times. The company topped consensus revenue estimates each time over this period.

ValuationNo investment decision can be efficient without considering a stock's valuation. Whether a stock's current price rightly reflects the intrinsic value of the underlying business and the company's growth prospects is an essential determinant of its future price performance.

Comparing the current value of a company's valuation multiples, such as its price-to-earnings (P/E), price-to-sales (P/S), and price-to-cash flow (P/CF), to its own historical values helps ascertain whether its stock is fairly valued, overvalued, or undervalued, whereas comparing the company relative to its peers on these parameters gives a good sense of how reasonable its stock price is.

As part of the Zacks Style Scores system, the Zacks Value Style Score (which evaluates both traditional and unconventional valuation metrics) organizes stocks into five groups ranging from A to F (A is better than B; B is better than C; and so on), making it helpful in identifying whether a stock is overvalued, rightly valued, or temporarily undervalued.

Toast is graded C on this front, indicating that it is trading at par with its peers. Click here to see the values of some of the valuation metrics that have driven this grade.

ConclusionThe facts discussed here and much other information on Zacks.com might help determine whether or not it's worthwhile paying attention to the market buzz about Toast. However, its Zacks Rank #1 does suggest that it may outperform the broader market in the near term.

ETFs are subject to risks and fluctuate in value.

Diversification does not assure a profit nor protect against loss

The value of equity securities in the fund's portfolio will fluctuate and, as a result, the fund's share price may decline. Equity securities may decline in value because of an increase in interest rates or changes in the stock market.

The fund is a new fund that recently commenced operations. New funds have limited operating histories for investors to evaluate and new funds may not attract sufficient assets to achieve investment and trading efficiencies.

While stocks have higher return potential, they may be more volatile than bonds.

International investing involves special risks including currency risk, increased volatility, political risks, and differences in auditing and other financial standards. Prices of emerging market securities can be significantly more volatile than the prices of securities in developed countries, and currency risk and political risks are accentuated in emerging markets.

The fund's use of derivative instruments involves risks different from, or possibly greater than, the risks associated with investing directly in securities and other traditional instruments.

Growth stocks tend to have higher valuations and thus are typically more volatile than value stocks. Growth stocks also may not pay dividends or may pay lower dividends than value stocks.

Value stocks tend to have higher dividends and thus have a higher income-related component in their total return than growth stocks. Value stocks also may lag growth stocks in performance, particularly in late stages of a market advance.

ETFs are generally more tax efficient than traditional mutual funds due to their structure. When investors redeem shares, ETFs can do so in-kind, meaning they exchange shares for underlying assets without triggering capital gains taxes for remaining investors. ETFs often distribute fewer capital gains to investors compared to mutual funds, leading to lower tax liabilities.

ETF shares are bought and sold on an exchange at market price (not NAV) and are not individually redeemed from the fund. However, shares may be redeemed at NAV directly by certain authorized broker-dealers (Authorized Participants) in very large creation/redemption units. Shares may trade at a premium or discount to their NAV in the secondary market. Brokerage commissions will reduce returns. Market price returns are based on the official closing price of an ETF share or, if the official closing price isn't available, the midpoint between the national best bid and national best offer ("NBBO") as of the time the ETF calculates the current NAV per share. NAVs are calculated using prices as of the end of regular trading on the New York Stock Exchange (normally 4:00 PM Eastern Time). Recent information, including information about the fund's NAV, market price, premiums and discounts, and bid-ask spreads, is included on the fund's website at FederatedHermes.com/us.

Federated Hermes Touches All-Time High: How to Play the Stock Now?

Shares of Federated Hermes, Inc. (FHI - Free Report) have touched its all-time high of $59.68 during yesterday’s trading session before closing at $59.29.

The FHI stock has gained 13.9% year to date, significantly outperforming the industry, which has lost 7.4% over the same period. FHI has also outperformed its close peers, BlackRock, Inc. (BLK - Free Report) and Ares Management Corporation (ARES - Free Report) . BlackRock and Ares Management shares have lost 1.2% and 20.6%, respectively, year to date.

Price Performance

Let’s now take a closer look at the factors supporting FHI’s momentum.

Major Factors at Play for Federated HermesInorganic Growth Efforts Continue to Drive AUM: Federated Hermes has been strengthening its private markets and investment capabilities through strategic acquisitions over the years. In April 2026, the company acquired an 80% stake in FCP Fund Manager, L.P., a U.S.-based real estate investment manager. The transaction expanded its private markets and alternatives platform in the United States while complementing its U.K. real estate operations.

Earlier, in April 2025, Federated Hermes acquired a majority stake in Rivington Energy Management Limited, strengthening its infrastructure platform and private markets offering. Further, the acquisition of C.W. Henderson and Associates, Inc. in 2022 strengthened its separately managed account business.

Through these acquisitions, Federated Hermes continues to expand its presence across asset classes and geographic markets. Its inorganic growth initiatives have supported steady growth in assets under management (AUM), which increased at a 7.8% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the five years ended 2025, with the momentum continuing in the first quarter of 2026. These efforts are expected to support long-term AUM growth and enhance the company's revenue-generating capabilities.

Strength in Money Market Business: Federated Hermes continues to benefit from its strong position in the money market space. The company's money market assets expanded at a 10.2% CAGR over the five years ended 2025, with the momentum continuing in the first quarter of 2026.

The U.S. asset-management industry has continued to benefit from robust demand for money market products and cash-management solutions so far in 2026. Investors have maintained significant cash balances in money market funds to capture attractive short-term yields and preserve liquidity, providing a favorable backdrop for asset managers like FHI with sizable money market franchises.

Given this favorable industry backdrop, management expects money market strategies to remain attractive, as fund yields continue to compare favorably with direct market instruments and bank deposit rates. As such, continued growth in the money market AUM is likely to support overall asset growth and enhance the company's ability to offer a broader range of solutions to clients.

Strong Liquidity Supports Shareholder Returns: Federated Hermes maintains a solid liquidity position, providing financial flexibility and supporting its capital distribution activities. As of March 31, 2026, the company had cash and other investments of $645.4 million, exceeding its long-term debt of $348.4 million. Further, it had no outstanding borrowings under its $350 million unsecured revolving credit facility.

As such, the company's healthy liquidity position continues to support its shareholder-friendly initiatives. In July 2025, Federated Hermes authorized its 18th share repurchase program, allowing it to buyback up to an additional 5 million shares of common stock. As of March 31, 2026, 4.6 million shares remained available under its existing repurchase authorizations. Apart from share buybacks, the company has consistently paid dividends since its initial public offering in 1998. In April 2026, it increased its quarterly dividend by 11.8% to 38 cents per share, reflecting an annualized dividend growth rate of 6.6%. FHI currently offers a dividend yield of 2.6%, while its peers, BlackRock and Ares Management, have dividend yields of 2.2% and 4.2%, respectively.

A Few Concerns Persist for Federated HermesMounting Expenses: Federated Hermes has been witnessing a steady increase in operating expenses. Although the metric declined in 2021, operating expenses recorded a five-year (ended 2025) CAGR of 4.5%, primarily driven by intangible asset-related costs.

Further, expense growth continued in the first quarter of 2026, due to higher distribution costs associated with increased average money market fund assets and elevated incentive compensation. With additional FCP acquisition-related costs expected in the second quarter of 2026, expense pressures are likely to persist in the near term.

Expense Growth Trend

Dependence on Investment Advisory Fees: Net investment advisory fees account for a substantial portion of FHI's revenues. As of March 31, 2026, these fees comprised 66.7% of total revenues. As such, the company's financial performance remains closely tied to the level of managed assets.

Significant fluctuations in the fair value of securities held by the funds and other products advised by Federated Hermes, or elevated client redemptions, could adversely affect AUM levels. This, in turn, may hurt investment advisory fees, posing a headwind to the company's revenue growth and profitability.

FHI’s Bullish Analyst ExpectationsEarnings estimates for Federated Hermes have moved upward for 2026 over the past month, while estimates for 2027 have remained unchanged. The anticipated estimates imply growth of 2.4% and 10.8% for 2026 and 2027, respectively, reflecting analysts’ confidence in the company’s earnings trajectory.

Attractive Valuation for FHI StockFHI stock appears inexpensive relative to the industry. The company's forward 12-month price-to-earnings (P/E) multiple of 11.1X is below the industry's 13.9X.

Price-to-Earnings F12M

Meanwhile, BlackRock holds a P/E ratio of 18.7X, while Ares Management’s P/E ratio stands at 19.1X.

How to Approach FHI Stock NowFHI's inorganic growth efforts, strength in the money market business and healthy liquidity position are expected to support its financial performance. The company is expected to continue rewarding shareholders through dividends and share repurchases.

Moreover, strong earnings growth estimates and FHI’s attractive valuation looks encouraging.

However, mounting expenses, driven by higher distribution costs and acquisition-related expenses, are likely to hurt the company's profitability in the near term. Its significant dependence on investment advisory fees remains a concern. Ongoing uncertainty in the private credit market amid weaker investor sentiment and rising redemption requests across the sector could weigh on fundraising activity and its AUM growth.

Hence, investors should not rush to buy the FHI stock now; instead, they should keep the stock on their radars and wait for a more attractive entry point. Those who already own the stock can continue to hold it, given its solid fundamentals.

At present, FHI carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). You can see the complete list of today's Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

Is Builders FirstSource Inc (BLDR) a Bargain After 3.3% Drop? GF Value Says Undervalued
BLDR Builders FirstSource
FMP Stock News
Original source text
On June 17, 2026, Builders FirstSource Inc BLDR shares fell 3.3% today, closing at $76.14. This decline comes after a volatile performance, with the stock ranging from a 52-week high of $151.03 to a low of $65.10. While the stock has shown some resilience recently with a 1-week increase of 2.0% and a 1-month rise of 8.1%, it remains down significantly year-to-date by 26.0% and over the past year by 29.5%.

GF Value™ verdict: Current price of $76.14 vs GF Value™ of $133.63, indicating a 43.0% upside.GF Score™: 82/100, suggesting a strong overall rating. Most notable signal: Insider activity shows that insiders sold $0.4M in the last 3 months with no buying activity. Is BLDR Overvalued or Undervalued? Builders FirstSource Inc BLDR appears to be significantly undervalued at its current price of $76.14 when compared to the GF Value™ estimate of $133.63. This presents a margin of safety of approximately 43.0%, suggesting that there is a substantial upside potential for investors. The GF Valuation label categorizes BLDR as significantly undervalued, which could indicate an attractive opportunity for long-term investors. However, it is important to recognize that market conditions and industry trends can impact future performance, thus posing potential risks despite the current valuation.

GF Value™ is GuruFocus' proprietary measure of intrinsic value, calculated from historical trading multiples, past business growth, and future performance estimates. Given the current undervaluation, investors may consider the potential for price appreciation, but should remain cautious of broader market fluctuations that could affect the stock's trajectory.

How Does BLDR's Valuation Compare to Its History? Metric Current Historical P/E (TTM) 29.2x 12.3x Forward P/E 17.2x N/A Analyzing the current P/E (TTM) of 29.2x, it is notably 137% above its 5-year median P/E of 12.3x. This indicates that Builders FirstSource is trading at a premium compared to its historical valuation metrics. The forward P/E of 17.2x suggests some expected improvement, but the current P/E analysis conflicts with the GF Value™ verdict of undervaluation, indicating that the stock may not be as attractive based on traditional valuation metrics.

What Does BLDR's GF Score™ Tell Us? Metric Rating GF Score™ 82/100 Financial Strength 5/10 Profitability 9/10 Growth 8/10 Valuation 4/10 Momentum 4/10 Builders FirstSource's GF Score™ of 82/100 indicates a strong overall performance, driven primarily by its high profitability rank of 9/10 and a solid growth rank of 8/10. However, the company shows weaknesses in financial strength and valuation, where it received ratings of 5/10 and 4/10, respectively. This suggests that while Builders FirstSource is performing well in terms of profit generation and growth prospects, its financial stability and valuation metrics require closer scrutiny.

What Are Insiders Doing with BLDR Stock? Recent insider activity reveals that insiders have sold approximately $0.4 million worth of shares in the last three months, with no buying activity reported during this period. This selling could indicate a lack of confidence among insiders regarding the stock's short-term performance or broader market conditions. While insider selling does not always correlate with negative future performance, it can be a signal for investors to monitor closely.

What This Means for Investors Based on the GF Value™ assessment, Builders FirstSource Inc BLDR is currently undervalued at a price of $76.14, compared to a GF Value™ estimate of $133.63. However, caution is warranted due to the high current P/E ratio and the recent insider selling activity. Investors should weigh the potential for appreciation against the underlying risks before making investment decisions.

Paychex (PAYX) Earnings Expected to Grow: What to Know Ahead of Next Week's Release
PAYX Paychex
FMP Stock News
Original source text
The market expects Paychex (PAYX - Free Report) to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended May 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook is important in assessing the company's earnings picture, but a powerful factor that might influence its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.

The earnings report, which is expected to be released on June 24, might help the stock move higher if these key numbers are better than expectations. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.

While management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call will mostly determine the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations, it's worth having a handicapping insight into the odds of a positive EPS surprise.

Zacks Consensus EstimateThis payroll processor and human-resources services provider is expected to post quarterly earnings of $1.31 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +10.1%.

Revenues are expected to be $1.6 billion, up 12.3% from the year-ago quarter.

Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 0.3% lower over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.

Investors should keep in mind that an aggregate change may not always reflect the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts.

Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise

Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. This insight is at the core of our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction).

The Zacks Earnings ESP compares the Most Accurate Estimate to the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the quarter; the Most Accurate Estimate is a more recent version of the Zacks Consensus EPS estimate. The idea here is that analysts revising their estimates right before an earnings release have the latest information, which could potentially be more accurate than what they and others contributing to the consensus had predicted earlier.

Thus, a positive or negative Earnings ESP reading theoretically indicates the likely deviation of the actual earnings from the consensus estimate. However, the model's predictive power is significant for positive ESP readings only.

A positive Earnings ESP is a strong predictor of an earnings beat, particularly when combined with a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold). Our research shows that stocks with this combination produce a positive surprise nearly 70% of the time, and a solid Zacks Rank actually increases the predictive power of Earnings ESP.

Please note that a negative Earnings ESP reading is not indicative of an earnings miss. Our research shows that it is difficult to predict an earnings beat with any degree of confidence for stocks with negative Earnings ESP readings and/or Zacks Rank of 4 (Sell) or 5 (Strong Sell).

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Paychex? For Paychex, the Most Accurate Estimate is lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bearish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -2.54%.

On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.

So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Paychex will beat the consensus EPS estimate.

Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.

For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Paychex would post earnings of $1.68 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.71, delivering a surprise of +1.79%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates four times.

Bottom LineAn earnings beat or miss may not be the sole basis for a stock moving higher or lower. Many stocks end up losing ground despite an earnings beat due to other factors that disappoint investors. Similarly, unforeseen catalysts help a number of stocks gain despite an earnings miss.

That said, betting on stocks that are expected to beat earnings expectations does increase the odds of success. This is why it's worth checking a company's Earnings ESP and Zacks Rank ahead of its quarterly release. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.

Paychex doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

The total oil and gas rig count, an early indicator of future output, rose by one to 563 in the week to June 18, its highest since early June. , , ,

Baker Hughes released the report a day early due to the U.S. Juneteenth holiday on Friday.

With this week's rig increase, Baker Hughes said the total count was up nine rigs, or 2% above this time last year.

Baker Hughes said oil rigs held steady at 433 this week, while gas rigs rose by one to 122, their highest since early June, and other miscellaneous rigs held steady at eight.

The oil and gas rig count declined by 7% in 2025, 5% in 2024, and 20% in 2023 as lower U.S. oil ‌prices prompted energy firms to focus more on boosting shareholder returns and paying down debt rather than increasing output.

But now with spot U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude prices expected to rise in 2026 due to supply disruptions from the Iran war after declining in 2023, 2024, and 2025, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) projected crude output would rise from a record 13.6 million barrels per day (bpd) in 2025 to 13.7 million bpd in 2026.

On the gas side, EIA projected output would jump from a record 107.7 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) in 2025 to 111.0 bcfd in 2026 as demand for the fuel rises to produce electricity for power-hungry data centers and for export as liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Why I Like the Energy Stocks
FANG Diamondback Energy
FMP Stock News
Original source text
June 15, 2026 — (Maple Hill Syndicate) — Oil and gasoline prices will “drop like a rock,” President Trump has said.

When? “As soon as the war is over.”

How far? “To where they were before.”

I disagree, for several reasons. Some refineries, pipelines and storage facilities have been destroyed in combat, and will take a long time to fix. Governments see, more than ever, the need for strategic petroleum reserves, so they will be busy buying oil.

And then there's the uncertainty premium. People who have seen $100 oil, and watched as Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz, will be uncertain about future oil supplies. Their nervousness will help buoy up the price.

So, even if the Iran war ends soon, I expect oil prices to bounce around between $80 and $90 for much of the next two years, rather than reverting to the $65 to $74 range of last year.

These are some of the reasons why I favor energy stocks, especially oil-and-gas stocks. Energy makes up only 3.5% of the Standard & Poor's 500 Index. My clients have about double that, and I may expand the energy weighting in their portfolios further.

Fossils? Are fossil fuels, oil and gas, outdated? In a sense, are they fossils themselves?

Some people believe so, but I think they are confusing long-range forecasts with present realities.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, oil accounts for about 38% of total U.S. energy consumption, and natural gas 36%. Throw in coal at 9% and you find that fossil fuels account for about 83% of all energy used in America.

Almost all of the rest is nuclear and renewable-source energy, including wind, solar and hydro.

My conclusion from these facts is that oil and natural gas will be significant energy sources in the U.S. for at least another decade.

DiamondbackOne of my favorite energy stocks is Diamondback Energy Inc. (FANG), based in Midland, Texas. It drills exclusively in the Permian Basin, primarily in western Texas, an advantage at a time of worldwide geopolitical uncertainty.

Diamondback's profit was only about $1.7 billion last year, but that was a down year for the company. Analysts expect profit to jump to $5.6 billion this year. That's one reason 28 of the 31 analysts who follow the company recommend it.

TotalEnergiesAnother favorite of mine is TotalEnergies SE (TTE), based in Courbevoie, France. In addition to being the largest oil company in France, it has large-scale operations in solar and wind energy.

Currently, TotalEnergies generates about 34 gigawatts of electricity from solar and wind projects worldwide. The company says it hopes to raise that to 100 gigawatts by 2030. A gigawatt equals a billion watts, enough to power 750,000 to a million homes.

At 13 times earnings and 1.1 times revenue, I think TotalEnergies is attractively priced.

Exxon MobilFor clients who prefer a conservative approach, I often buy Exxon Mobil Corp. XOM , the largest U.S. oil company. It has a strong balance sheet, with debt only 19% of equity. It has more than $8 billion in cash and cash equivalents.

Exxon has shown a profit in 29 of the past 30 years, the sole exception being 2020, when the pandemic reduced gasoline consumption.

The company has paid a dividend every year for the past 43 years, and increased the amount of the dividend every year. The dividend yield is currently about 2.8%.

Electric RevolutionU.S. electricity demand was nearly flat for more than a decade until 2021. Now it's growing, and some authorities estimate it will grow 20% over the next four years, as data centers, which are electricity hogs, come online.

The pie chart of fuel sources for electric power generation looks different than the one for overall energy use. Oil generates less than 1% of the nation's electricity. Natural gas generates about 41%.

Nuclear power is next, at 18%. Coal, despite environmental groups' opposition, accounts for about 17%. Wind is about 11%, solar 7% and hydroelectric 6%. Figures are again from the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

I think there are opportunities, from time to time, in each of these industries. I made some good profits in coal in 2024-2025, but have no investments there now. I'm mostly in oil and gas, but am looking for nuclear opportunities.

Disclosure: I own Diamondback and TotalEnergies for most of my clients. I own call options on SLB Ltd. (SLB), an oilfield services giant, personally and for a few clients.

One or more of my firm's clients own Chevron Corp. (CVX), ConocoPhillips (COP), Eco Wave Power Global AB (WAVE), Exxon Mobil Corp. XOM , Global X MLP & Energy Infrastructure ETF (MLPX), Halliburton Co. (HAL), TEMA Electrification ETF (VOLT) and Tourmaline Oil Corp. (TRMLF).

The latest 8-K filing from Jabil Inc JBL , released on June 17, 2026, indicates a robust performance for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026. The company's net revenue hit $8.8 billion, exceeding the market consensus of $8.6 billion, showcasing the company's adaptability and resilience in a fluctuating economic landscape.

Jabil Inc. is a U.S.-based company providing engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain solutions, including comprehensive electronics design, production, and product management services across various industries. The company operates through three segments: Regulated Industries, Intelligent Infrastructure, and Connected Living and Digital Commerce.

Performance Highlights and Challenges Jabil has reported financial achievements that extend beyond the expectations set by analysts. The company recorded U.S. GAAP operating income of $445 million, along with a diluted earnings per share (EPS) of $2.59, both above forecasts. Despite these positive results, challenges remain, particularly in addressing customer demand fluctuations and mitigating risks stemming from a limited supplier base.

CEO Mike Dastoor emphasized the importance of strong demand driven by AI infrastructure, stating, “Jabil delivered a very strong third quarter, with results ahead of our expectations across revenue, core operating margin, core EPS, and free cash flow.” The ability to perform well in diverse areas like Automotive and Connected Living, which had previously faced pressure, is crucial for the company's sustained growth.

Financial Achievements and Industry Significance Jabil's notable financial achievements include a core operating income (Non-GAAP) of $504 million and a core diluted EPS of $3.16. The performance reinforces the company’s position in the hardware industry, where margins and free cash flow are vital for long-term sustainability. As a key player, Jabil's ability to adapt and leverage its diversified model supports its market resilience and profitability.

For fiscal year 2026, Jabil raised its revenue outlook to approximately $34.243 billion, with a core operating margin (Non-GAAP) expected to be around 5.8% and a projected core diluted EPS of $12.70. These improved forecasts serve as a testament to Jabil's strength and operational efficiency.

Metric Q3 2026 Actual Q3 2026 Estimate Net Revenue $8.8 billion $8.6 billion U.S. GAAP Operating Income $445 million N/A Core Operating Income (Non-GAAP) $504 million N/A U.S. GAAP Diluted EPS $2.59 $2.57 Core Diluted EPS (Non-GAAP) $3.16 N/A

Analysis of Performance Jabil's quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year improvements indicate a successful navigation through economic uncertainties, reaffirming the effectiveness of its operational strategies. The company’s focus on capital efficiency and profitable growth has enabled it to maintain a strong balance sheet, which is vital for thriving in the competitive hardware sector.

The overall rise in revenue and EPS numbers is a strong endorsement of Jabil’s ability to leverage growth opportunities, especially in technology-centric sectors where demand is surging.

GuruFocus Valuation Check According to GuruFocus data, Jabil Inc JBL holds a GF Score of 80/100, indicating strong performance potential. However, with a current price of $375.51 significantly above the GF Value of $174.64, the stock appears overvalued by approximately 115.0%. This suggests a cautionary approach for potential investors as the price may not reflect underlying value.

The financial strength score of 6/10 and profitability rank of 8/10 indicates a solid but improving financial profile. Additionally, Jabil's growth rank stands at an impressive 10/10, reflecting robust future prospects. However, insider activity shows that insiders sold $14.0 million in shares over the last three months, which may indicate caution on their part. Investors should consider these insights cautiously.
