Delivers Q4 results in line with expectations while advancing strategic investments

, /PRNewswire/ -- The Clorox Company (NYSE: CLX) today reported results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2026, which ended June 30, 2026.

Fourth-Quarter Fiscal Year 2026 Summary

In April 2026, the company completed the acquisition of GOJO Industries, Inc. (GOJO), which now operates as Clorox Purell and includes the Purell® brand and a portfolio of health and hygiene solutions.

The following is a summary of key fourth-quarter results. All comparisons are with the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025 unless otherwise stated.

Net sales decreased 2% to $1.95 billion. The GOJO acquisition added about 10 points. Organic sales1 decreased 13%, primarily due to lapping the incremental shipments related to the ERP transition, which is about 13.5 points. Gross margin decreased 520 basis points to 41.3% from 46.5%, primarily driven by lower volume, impact from the inventory step-up of the GOJO acquisition, higher commodity costs and higher manufacturing and logistics costs, partially offset by cost savings. The ERP-related shipment comparison and GOJO inventory step-up each reduced gross margin by about 150 basis points. Diluted net earnings per share (diluted EPS) decreased 50% to $1.34 from $2.68 in the year-ago quarter. The decrease includes GOJO transaction-related costs primarily related to inventory step-up and integration costs, partially offset by the impact of lapping of the company's investment in its digital capabilities and productivity enhancements compared to the prior period. Adjusted EPS1 decreased 42% to $1.66 from $2.87 in the year-ago quarter, primarily due to lower net sales and lower gross margin. The impact of ERP-related shipment comparison was about 90 cents. "Our fourth-quarter results were in line with our expectations and reflect disciplined execution in a dynamic environment," said Chair and CEO Linda Rendle. "Throughout fiscal year 2026, we strengthened our business despite continued consumer and macroeconomic pressures. We expanded our portfolio through the acquisition of GOJO Industries, completed our U.S. ERP implementation, a foundational modernization of the systems and processes that underpin every aspect of our operations, while advancing our digital capabilities. Together, these actions have strengthened our foundation and position us well to navigate a challenging operating environment as we work to return to organic sales growth. We exited the year with improved execution, a stronger innovation pipeline and a clear plan to deliver superior value across our portfolio, better meeting evolving consumer needs and driving long-term growth.

As we begin fiscal year 2027, we expect the operating environment to remain challenging, with continued cost volatility and a value-seeking consumer. Even so, we are starting the year from a stronger position to execute our strategy with discipline, build on the momentum we've created and deliver greater superiority across our portfolio. We are confident that the investments we've made in our brands, capabilities and products position us to deliver long-term value for shareholders."

Strategic and Operational Highlights

The following are highlights of business achievements for fiscal year 2026:

Completed the acquisition of GOJO, unlocking new growth synergies across the combined portfolio of Clorox Purell and Clorox Professional by bringing together complementary brands and capabilities to strengthen the company's health and hygiene platform. Clorox's global health and hygiene portfolio now represents more than half of net sales. Continued to invest behind value superiority and consumer-centered experiences by nearly doubling innovation across its expanded portfolio in fiscal year 2026, including the launch of Clorox PURE and Clorox Screen+ Sanitizing Wipes, expanded professional hygiene solutions from Clorox Healthcare and Purell, Fresh Step Lightweight Litter, Glad ForceFlex MaxStrength LeakGuard Trash Bags, new lip and body care offerings from Burt's Bees, as well as new flavors and scents across Clorox, Glad, Hidden Valley Ranch and Pine-Sol. Completed its U.S. ERP implementation, marking the conclusion of the company's five-year digital transformation investment, modernizing the business to optimize operations and reduce costs by leveraging end-to-end data and insights to support decision-making. Implemented a simplified operating structure to streamline leadership oversight, align resources to drive the company's strongest growth opportunities, advance portfolio optimization efforts and support faster execution across the enterprise. The company was recognized among America's Best Companies by Time Magazine, as well as America's Best Employers for Company Culture and 2026 Net Zero Leaders by Forbes. Key Segment Results

The following is a summary of key fourth-quarter results by reportable segment. All comparisons are with the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025, unless otherwise stated.

Health and Wellness (Cleaning; Professional Products, now including Clorox Purell)

Net sales increased 16%, driven by 10 points of higher volume and 6 points of favorable price mix. The GOJO acquisition contributed approximately 28 points to net sales growth. Organic sales declined 12%, primarily driven by the impact of lapping the incremental shipments related to the ERP transition in the year-ago quarter. Excluding the impact of these incremental shipments, organic sales would have increased in the quarter. Segment adjusted EBIT2 decreased 15%, primarily due to the impact of lapping the incremental shipments related to the ERP transition in the year-ago quarter, higher advertising investments and manufacturing and logistics costs, partially offset by the benefit of the GOJO acquisition. Household (Bags and Wraps; Cat Litter; Grilling)

Net sales decreased 18%, driven by 16 points of lower volume and 2 points of unfavorable price mix. The volume decrease is primarily due to the impact of lapping the incremental shipments related to the ERP transition in the year-ago quarter and shipment ahead of consumption in the third quarter. Segment adjusted EBIT decreased 56%, primarily due to lower net sales and higher commodity costs, partially offset by cost savings. Lifestyle (Food; Water Filtration; Natural Personal Care)

Net sales decreased 17%, driven by 14 points of lower volume and 3 points of unfavorable price mix. The volume decrease is primarily due to the impact of lapping the incremental shipments related to the ERP transition in the year-ago quarter. Segment adjusted EBIT decreased 60%, primarily due to lower net sales. International (Sales Outside the U.S.)

Net sales increased 4%, primarily driven by favorable foreign exchange rates. Organic sales grew 1%. Segment adjusted EBIT increased 17%, primarily due to higher net sales and cost savings. __________________

Fiscal Year 2026 Summary

The following is a summary of key fiscal year 2026 results. All comparisons are to fiscal year 2025.

Net sales decreased 5% to $6.72 billion. The GOJO acquisition added about 3 points. Organic sales decreased 8%, mainly due to lapping incremental shipments related to the ERP transition in the fourth quarter, which is about 7.5 points. Gross margin decreased 290 basis points to 42.3% from 45.2% in the year-ago period, primarily driven by lower net sales and higher manufacturing and logistics costs, partially offset by cost savings. The ERP-related shipment comparison reduced gross margin by about 100 basis points. The negative impact from GOJO transaction-related costs was about 50 basis points, primarily behind inventory step-up. Diluted EPS decreased 26% to $4.81 from $6.52 in the year-ago period, which includes lapping the cyberattack insurance recovery benefit from the prior period, GOJO transaction-related costs primarily related to inventory step-up and integration costs, partially offset by lower costs related to the company's investment in its digital capabilities and productivity enhancements in the current period and the loss on sale of the VMS business in the prior period. Adjusted EPS decreased 28% to $5.53 from $7.72, primarily due to lower net sales and higher manufacturing and logistics costs, partially offset by cost savings. The ERP-related shipment comparison reduced adjusted EPS by about 90 cents. Net cash provided by operations was $612 million compared to $981 million in fiscal year 2025, representing a 38% decrease. The decrease was primarily driven by the Glad Venture Agreement termination payment. ERP Transition Impact

During the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025, retailers placed orders in advance of the company's ERP system transition in the U.S. to minimize any potential inventory impacts during the implementation phase. The shipments of incremental inventory provided a benefit to fourth quarter 2025 net sales. These shipments added about 3.5 points of sales and about 90 cents earnings per share to fiscal year 2025.

In fiscal year 2026, retailers drew down on this inventory during the company's ERP transition period, resulting in lower shipments. From a year-over-year sales growth perspective, the reduction in sales from this inventory drawdown translates to about 7.5 points of decline as compared to the higher base in fiscal year 2025. Similarly, this inventory drawdown reduced fiscal year 2026 earnings per share by about 90 cents. In comparison to the higher base in fiscal year 2025, this results in a year-over-year reduction of about 28% to fiscal year 2026 diluted earnings per share and about 23% to fiscal year 2026 adjusted earnings per share.

In fiscal year 2027, the company will lap the above-described inventory drawdown, which is expected to result in more than 3.5 points of benefit to net sales growth. This lap is also expected to benefit the company's adjusted EPS growth.

Fiscal Year 2027 Outlook

The following are the key drivers of the company's fiscal year 2027 outlook:

Net sales are expected to be up 13% to 14% compared to the prior year, including about 9.5 points of benefit from the GOJO acquisition. Organic sales are expected to increase about 3.5% to 4.5%, including more than 3.5 points of benefit from lapping the ERP-related drawdown in the prior fiscal year. Gross margin is expected to be about 42%, reflecting higher-than-normal inflationary headwinds and negative mix more than offsetting the benefits from cost savings. This includes about 20 basis points of negative impact primarily related to the GOJO inventory step-up. Selling and administrative expenses are expected to be about 16% of net sales. This includes about 40 basis points of negative impact from GOJO transaction-related costs. Advertising and sales promotion spending is expected to be about 10% of net sales. This assumes over 11% of net sales for its retail businesses. The company's effective tax rate is expected to be about 23%.  Diluted EPS is expected to be between $5.41 and $5.71, a year-over-year increase of 12% to 19%, respectively. This includes about 29 cents of impact from transaction-related costs associated with the GOJO acquisition, which are expected to flow through cost of goods sold as well as selling and administrative expenses. Adjusted EPS is expected to be between $5.70 and $6.00, or an increase between 3% and 8%, respectively. These growth rates include the benefit of lapping the inventory drawdown related to the ERP transition in the prior year.

the risks of adapting to GOJO's business-to-business ("B2B") operating model, including differences in distribution channels, go-to-market strategies, margin profiles and customer requirements, increased exposure to customer concentration and consolidation among distributors, group purchasing organizations, health systems and other institutional customers in B2B channels, and potential channel conflict with the company's consumer business; Non-GAAP Financial Information

This press release contains non-GAAP financial information related to organic sales growth / (decrease), adjusted EPS, and segment adjusted EBIT for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026 and for fiscal year 2026; as well as organic sales growth / (decrease) and adjusted EPS outlook for fiscal year 2027. The reasons management believes these measures are useful to investors are described below. Certain non-GAAP financial measures may be considered in determining incentive compensation. Clorox defines organic sales growth / (decrease) as GAAP net sales growth / (decrease) excluding the effect of foreign exchange rate changes and any acquisitions or divestitures. Management believes that the presentation of organic sales growth / (decrease) is useful to investors because it excludes sales from any acquisitions and divestitures, which results in a comparison of sales only from the businesses that the company was operating and expects to continue to operate throughout the relevant periods, and the company's estimate of the impact of foreign exchange rate changes, which are difficult to predict and out of the control of the company and management. However, organic sales growth / (decrease) may not be the same as similar measures provided by other companies due to potential differences in methods of calculation or differences in which items are incorporated into these adjustments. Organic Sales, Adjusted Cost of Products Sold, Adjusted Gross Profit, Adjusted Gross Margin, Adjusted Selling and Administrative expenses, Adjusted Other Income (Expense), Adjusted Net Earnings Attributable to Clorox, and Adjusted Diluted Net Earnings Per Share are calculated in accordance with GAAP, that excludes or has otherwise been adjusted for significant items that are nonrecurring or unusual that are not indicative of the Company's underlying operations. The income tax effect on non-GAAP items is calculated based upon the tax laws and statutory income tax rates applicable in the tax jurisdiction(s) of the underlying non-GAAP adjustment. Non-GAAP measures may not be the same as similar measures provided by other companies due to potential differences in methods of calculation or differences in which items are incorporated into these adjustments. Adjusted EBIT represents earnings (losses) before income taxes excluding interest income, interest expense and other significant items that are nonrecurring or unusual that are not indicative of the Company's underlying operations. The company uses this measure to assess the operating results and performance of its segments, perform analytical comparisons, identify strategies to improve performance, and allocate resources to each segment. Adjusted EBIT may not be the same as similar measures provided by other companies due to potential differences in methods of calculation or differences in which items are incorporated into these adjustments. The Non-GAAP measures listed above are supplemental information that management uses to help evaluate the company's historical and prospective financial performance on a consistent basis over time. Management believes that by adjusting for certain items affecting comparability of performance over time, such as the pension settlement charge, incremental costs and insurance recoveries related to the August 2023 cyberattack, asset impairments, charges related to the digital capabilities and productivity enhancements investment, transaction and integration costs related to acquisitions, significant losses related to divestitures and other nonrecurring or unusual items, investors and management are able to gain additional insight into the company's underlying operating performance on a consistent basis over time. The reconciliation tables below refer to the equivalent GAAP measures adjusted as applicable for the following items: Acquisition and Integration Costs

On April 1, 2026, the Company completed the previously announced acquisition of GOJO Industries. As a result of this transaction, various acquisition and integration-related costs were and will be incurred related to the acquisition and efforts to integrate the recently acquired business to the Company's systems and processes. These costs include inventory step-up charges representing expense recognition of fair value adjustments in excess of the historical cost basis of inventory obtained through the acquisition, as well as direct acquisition transaction costs and legal-entity, operational, manufacturing, and information technology integration costs.

Due to the nature, scope and magnitude of these costs and recoveries, the company's management believes presenting these costs as an adjustment in the non-GAAP results provides additional information to investors about trends in the company's operations and is useful for period over period comparisons. It also allows investors to view underlying operating results in the same manner as they are viewed by company management.

Digital Capabilities and Productivity Enhancements Investment

As announced in August 2021, the company invested in transformative technologies and processes over a five-year period beginning in fiscal year 2022 and completed during the third quarter of fiscal year 2026. The investment included replacement of the company's ERP system and transitioning to a cloud-based platform as well as the implementation of a suite of other digital technologies. The total incremental transformational investment was approximately $580 million. It is expected that these implementations will generate efficiencies and transform the company's operations in the areas of supply chain, digital commerce, innovation, brand building and more over the long term.

Of the total investment, approximately 75% represented incremental operating costs primarily recorded within selling and administrative expenses to be adjusted from reported EPS for purposes of disclosing adjusted EPS. About 70% of these operating costs were related to the implementation of the ERP, with the remaining costs primarily related to the implementation of complementary technologies.

Due to the nature, scope and magnitude of this investment, these costs were considered by management to represent incremental transformational costs above the historical normal level of spending for information technology to support operations. Since these strategic investments, including incremental operating costs, ceased at the end of the investment period, are not expected to recur in the foreseeable future and are not considered representative of the company's underlying operating performance, the company's management believes presenting these costs as an adjustment in the non-GAAP results provides additional information to investors about trends in the company's operations and is useful for period-over-period comparisons. It also allows investors to view underlying operating results in the same manner as they are viewed by company management.

Kalifornský soud zrušil žaloby proti Gilead Sciences
GILD Gilead Sciences
FMP Stock News 78

SummaryCompaniesCalifornia Supreme Court orders dismissal of litigation by 24,000 HIV patientsGilead need not face negligence claims for halting development of alternative drugDecision reversed lower court requirement of 'duty to innovate'Aug 3 (Reuters) - California's highest court ruled on Monday that manufacturers of drugs that are considered safe do not owe a duty to patients to try developing ‌drugs that could be even safer, ruling in favor of Gilead Sciences (GILD.O), opens new tab in the closely watched case.

In a 6-1 decision, the California Supreme Court ordered the dismissal of negligence claims against Gilead by an estimated 24,000 patients using an HIV drug it produced, over its decision more than 20 years ago to stop developing an alternative drug that had fewer side effects.

Jumpstart your morning with the latest legal news delivered straight to your inbox from The Daily Docket newsletter. Sign up here.

Justice Joshua Groban said imposing a "duty to innovate" and holding drugmakers to a negligence standard would require juries to second-guess complex scientific judgments in hindsight, including when the underlying science is in flux.

"What today's decision declines to do is recognize, for the first time anywhere, sweeping liability for injuries caused by a concededly nondefective drug because the manufacturer allegedly failed to make a different drug available sooner," Groban wrote for the majority. "Imposing such liability would create substantial burdens and would risk adverse consequences for pharmaceutical innovation, public health, and patient safety."

Lawyers for the patients did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The decision reversed a February 2024 ruling by a mid-level state appeals court finding a duty to innovate.

HIV drugs accounted for 70% of Gilead's $29.4 billion in revenue last year.

Gilead, in a statement, called Monday's decision "a victory for all those working to develop improved medical treatments and new medicines." Shares of Gilead were down 0.2% in afternoon trading.

DRUG SOUGHT BY PATIENTS NOT DIFFERENT ENOUGHThe case had the potential to reshape product liability law for the pharmaceutical industry.

Critics said imposing a duty to innovate would make drug development too costly, punish manufacturers by capping profits from successful drugs, and deprive ‌patients of needed treatments that work.

Dozens of trade groups and companies supported Gilead's appeal, including drugmakers Bayer (BAYGn.DE), opens new tab, Bristol Myers Squibb (BMY.N), opens new tab, Eli Lilly (LLY.N), opens new tab, Johnson & Johnson (JNJ.N), opens new tab, Merck (MRK.N), opens new tab and Pfizer (PFE.N), opens new tab.

The case was brought by HIV patients who took Gilead drugs made with tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, or TDF.

Those drugs won U.S. approval in 2001 despite possible side effects including kidney dysfunction and bone problems.

Gilead soon began testing tenofovir alafenamide fumarate, or TAF, which was similar to TDF but had fewer side effects.

The Foster City, California-based company stopped developing TAF in 2004, however, after concluding its effectiveness and safety were not different enough to justify the expense.

DISSENT CRITICIZES 'MORALLY BLAMEWORTHY' CONDUCTPatients said TDF's side effects required Gilead to do better.

They also accused Gilead of delaying TAF's commercialization for nearly a decade to maximize profit, and timing it to TDF's patent exclusivity expiring in 2017.

During oral arguments in May, the patients' lawyer, Holly Boyer, said Gilead was "willing to accept the suffering of tens of thousands of patients with HIV forced to endure a drug that was destroying their kidneys and breaking their bones, all so that Gilead could make more money, $27 billion more."

Gilead's lawyer, Joshua Rosenkranz, said the company focused on TDF because it achieved "the holy grail" of being a once-a-day pill that saved millions of lives.

Justice Kelli Evans dissented from Monday's decision, calling Gilead's conduct "morally blameworthy."

She said the drug industry already enjoys "special accommodations" including patent protection and exemptions from strict products liability, and urged California's legislature to consider eliminating immunity from negligence claims.

Groban countered that moral blame wasn't an issue, given the "morally neutral and socially valuable" reasons that may underlie drug development decisions.

DaVita čeká silnější růst léčebných výkonů a lepší RPT
DVA DaVita HealthCare Partners
FMP Stock News 72
Original source text
Key Takeaways DaVita's Q2 treatment growth may benefit from better mortality trends and clinic transfers.DVA's Q2 RPT may improve as deductible headwinds ease and reimbursement increases support pricing.DaVita's Q2 payor mix pressure and spending on technology may limit margin expansion. DaVita Inc. (DVA - Free Report) is scheduled to report second-quarter 2026 results on Aug. 4, after the closing bell.

In the last reported quarter, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) of $2.87 surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 19.1%. Over the trailing four quarters, its earnings outperformed the Zacks Consensus Estimate on three occasions and missed once, delivering an earnings surprise of 2.4%, on average.

Let’s check out the factors that have shaped DVA’s performance prior to this announcement.

Factors Likely to Affect DaVitaDaVita's second-quarter 2026 performance is likely to have reflected stronger treatment volumes and improving reimbursement dynamics following the seasonally weaker first quarter. Management's improved treatment growth expectations, supported by better-than-expected mortality trends and patient transfers from Fresenius clinic closures, are expected to have supported volume growth in the quarter. DVA expects roughly half of the transfer-related benefit to materialize in the second quarter, supporting year-over-year treatment growth in the to-be-reported quarter.

Revenue per treatment (RPT) is expected to have improved sequentially as the typical first-quarter headwind from patient deductibles and co-insurance eased. Normal reimbursement increases are also likely to have supported pricing. However, a less favorable commercial payor mix, driven by higher enrollment in lower-tier Affordable Care Act bronze plans with greater patient responsibility, may have partially offset these benefits.

Cost discipline is also expected to have remained an important factor in shaping second-quarter results. Patient care costs are likely to have benefited from continued labor productivity improvements that exceeded expectations in the first quarter. However, general and administrative expenses are expected to have remained elevated due to ongoing investments in technology and digital infrastructure.

Integrated kidney care is also expected to have remained an important factor in the to-be-reported quarter. Management highlighted continued improvement in clinical outcomes and higher savings under the Comprehensive Kidney Care Contracting program. However, the segment is unlikely to have provided a meaningful earnings contribution in the quarter despite continued operational progress.

However, certain headwinds are likely to have persisted. Despite the seasonal improvement in RPT, a less favorable commercial payor mix is likely to have continued to weigh on reimbursement, limiting margin expansion in the second quarter of 2026.

DVA’s Estimate PictureFor second-quarter 2026, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues is pegged at $3.53 billion, implying an improvement of 4.5% from the prior-year quarter’s reported figure.

The consensus estimate for EPS is pegged at $4.01, indicating an uptick of 35.9% from the prior-year period’s reported number.

Strategy hlásí ztrátu na akcii a slabé výnosy, řeší STRC
MSTR Strategy
FMP Stock News 88
Original source text
Key Takeaways Strategy's Q2 loss was $24.45 per share as revenues of $122.4 million missed estimates. Its $3.75 billion USD reserve covers 2.1 years of preferred dividends and interest, with a 2-3 year goal.Management may sell Bitcoin, issue equity or repurchase securities as it shifts to active capital management. Strategy Inc (MSTR - Free Report) centered its second-quarter 2026 earnings call on repairing its digital-credit platform. Management’s priority is restoring STRC toward par, rebuilding cash coverage and using Bitcoin sales more flexibly.

The company reported a loss per share of $24.45, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of earnings of $52.04 per share. It generated revenues of $122.37 million, which also fell short of the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $126.95 million.

Strategy Makes STRC the Immediate PriorityPresident and CEO Phong Le said Strategy wants STRC to trade between $99 and $100 over time. The preferred security was near $89.50 during the call, and management plans to keep its annualized dividend rate at 12% while working toward par.

Le said the USD reserve has risen to $3.75 billion, covering about 2.1 years of preferred dividends and interest. Management is targeting two to three years of coverage while maintaining a one-year minimum.

Executive chairman Michael Saylor said Strategy has $975 million left under its STRC repurchase authorization. Returning the security to par is a firm priority, although the pace and amount of buybacks will depend on market conditions.

MSTR Broadens Active Capital ManagementLe described a shift from one-way capital issuance toward active capital management. Strategy can issue equity, sell Bitcoin, repay debt, fund cash reserves and repurchase securities based on relative value.

Year to date, the company bought 174,895 Bitcoin and sold 3,620, making purchases 48 times sales. Le said Bitcoin monetization can fund the USD reserve, cover dividends and interest, and support repurchases.

Saylor said future capital deployment will not default to placing 100% of proceeds into Bitcoin. Management will weigh credit demand, equity conditions, Bitcoin’s position against its 200-week moving average and cash-reserve needs.

Strategy Consolidates Around One Credit ProductDuring Q&A, Saylor said Strategy expects to reduce, rather than expand, its 11 credit instruments and concentrate liquidity around STRC.

Bitcoin analyst Samson Mow asked about covered-call strategies. Saylor rejected derivatives for now, saying they could alter MSTR’s convexity, create tax and counterparty complications, fragment liquidity and reduce transparency.

A TD Cowen analyst pressed management on whether it might issue STRC below par. Saylor said Strategy would instead pause issuance and use capital to restore stability rather than weaken the product’s price discipline.

MSTR Keeps Debt Options OpenA Cantor Fitzgerald analyst asked how management would address convertible maturities. Chief financial officer Andrew Kang said Strategy can equitize, repay or refinance debt, with no prescribed rush and STRC stabilization taking precedence.

Le said the next put date is September 2027 for the 2028 converts, which have a $183 conversion price. If conversion does not occur, Strategy could sell MSTR at a premium, sell Bitcoin or refinance.

A Benchmark Company analyst asked about borrowing against Bitcoin to strengthen cash reserves. Le and Saylor said the option is not on the table because pricing, scale, counterparty risk and the appearance of margin debt favor other routes.

Strategy Explains STRC’s June SelloffBitcoin analyst James Van Straten asked about STRC’s June 26 decline into the $70s. Saylor attributed it to traditional-finance credit providers reducing advance ratios after volatility increased.

He said the withdrawal of leverage created second- and third-order liquidations, which then triggered broader investor anxiety. Management did not characterize the event as a simple retail or decentralized-finance margin call.

The episode reinforced Strategy’s focus on low volatility and dependable liquidity. Saylor said a more stable STRC should reduce the risk that financing providers abruptly withdraw credit lines.

MSTR Leaves a Tighter Near-Term AgendaManagement’s tone was focused and more flexible than its earlier all-Bitcoin posture. The near-term agenda centers on restoring STRC, maintaining stronger dollar reserves and selectively using Bitcoin sales, equity issuance and repurchases.

Strategy tied longer-term Bitcoin-per-share growth to a functioning digital-credit engine, lower funding costs and disciplined balance-sheet management. The call placed execution ahead of adding products.

Strategy’s Zacks Signals Stay WeakMSTR currently carries a Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell), which reflects negative earnings estimate revisions and points to weak near-term performance potential under the Zacks methodology.

You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

The stock has a Value Score of F, Growth Score of D, Momentum Score of F and VGM Score of F. The combination indicates an unfavorable value, growth and momentum profile, while the Zacks Rank can change as analysts revise estimates following the just-reported results.

GLW Corning
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
Shares of Corning Inc. rose on Monday after Truist Securities upgraded the optical networking and specialty glass maker to Buy from Hold, arguing that the stock's steep decline in July has created a more attractive entry point for investors.

Corning shares GLW gained 5.6% to $146.12 on Monday after closing 2.2% higher on Friday.

The move came after the stock suffered a nearly 46% decline in July, marking its worst monthly performance in 24 years after the company's third-quarter guidance failed to meet Wall Street expectations.

The July selloff made Corning one of the worst-performing stocks in the S&P 500 during the month, with shares ending lower in 16 of 22 trading sessions.

Despite the sharp correction, the stock remains up 61% year to date and has gained 130% over the past 12 months.

Truist sees attractive entry point after selloffTruist analyst Matthew Niknam upgraded Corning to Buy while lowering his price target to $175 from $205.

The revised target still implies about 27% upside from Friday's closing price.

In a note to clients, Niknam said the recent decline has improved the stock's risk-reward profile.

“Simply put, we have waited for a more reasonable entry point to get more constructive, and we now have one post a ~45% pullback in July,” Niknam wrote.

The analyst said the upgrade is supported by continued customer spending in Corning's optical segment, expectations for accelerating revenue growth over the coming years, improving operating margins, and a projected 30% compound annual earnings growth rate through 2029.

Truist also noted that customer demand remains strong across artificial intelligence, data center infrastructure, and fiber-to-the-home deployments.

The firm highlighted Corning's recently introduced Photonics MAP as an additional long-term growth catalyst.

Corning currently trades at 32 times Truist's 2027 earnings estimates and 24 times its 2028 estimates.

AI sentiment remains a key riskCorning has become one of the major beneficiaries of the artificial intelligence infrastructure investment theme, with its Optical segment accounting for roughly 45% of company sales.

However, Truist cautioned that investor sentiment around AI spending remains an important risk.

“Fears around durability of the ‘AI trade’ and sustainability of elevated hyperscaler capex could weigh on sentiment, given the Optical segment (~45% of sales) is driving the lion’s share of GLW’s forward growth,” Niknam wrote.

The stock's sharp decline in July reflected concerns over AI-related valuations after the company issued guidance that largely matched expectations but failed to exceed investors' elevated forecasts.

Other analysts remain constructive but cautiousUBS also maintained a positive stance on Corning, reiterating its Buy rating while lowering its price target to $196 from $228.

Analyst Joshua Spector said the recent selloff appeared overdone, with only modest revisions to earnings estimates reflecting a more conservative outlook for fiber capacity expansion and the timing of the company's photonics business.

Morgan Stanley, however, maintained an Equal Weight rating while lowering its price target to $165 from $180.

The firm said Corning's second-quarter results largely met expectations but noted that sold-out conditions limit additional upside.

Analysts also pointed out that much of Corning's business operates under long-term contracts, leaving limited room for further pricing gains or earnings-per-share expansion.

For the third quarter, Corning expects adjusted earnings between $0.85 and $0.89 per share on revenue of $4.9 billion to $5.0 billion.

Wall Street is expecting earnings of $0.87 per share on revenue of approximately $4.99 billion. The company previously reported second-quarter earnings of $0.78 per share on revenue of $4.74 billion, exceeding analysts' estimates.

Marriott spustila AI vyhledávání a zvýšila RevPAR

 |

Global hospitality company Marriott International accelerated the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for customers of its properties and its travel platform during the second quarter.

“In June, we began our phased rollout of Ask Bonvoy, our AI-powered conversational search experience on Marriott.com and the Marriott Bonvoy App, reflecting our commitment to using technology to enhance the customer experience, strengthen engagement with our members and drive greater operational efficiency,” Marriott International President and CEO Tony Capuano said Monday (Aug. 3) during the company’s second quarter earnings call.

Ask Bonvoy provides an AI-powered, conversational, natural language search experience that is designed to help members of Marriott International’s loyalty program, Marriott Bonvoy, explore the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio of 10,000 properties in 146 countries and territories, Marriott International said in a June 16 press release.

The tool is designed to complement the existing search function on Marriott.com and in the Marriott Bonvoy App by allowing guests to use conversational prompts covering travel purpose, location attributes and desired amenities. Because Ask Bonvoy’s responses are grounded in property data owned and verified by Marriot, it delivers information that is more reliable than that provided by open web content, according to the release.

“With our well-respected brands and industry-leading scale, we are also working closely with Google and other leading AI platform providers as their travel search and commerce tools evolve,” Capuano said during Monday’s earnings call.

During the second quarter, Marriott International saw its global revenue per available room (RevPAR) increase 3.4%. RevPAR in the United States and Canada was up 5%, driven by strong and broad-based travel demand, while international RevPAR was down 0.5%, as headwinds from the conflict in the Middle East more than offset growth in other regions, according to a Monday earnings release.

Capuano said during the call that looking ahead, “with strong, broad-based demand generally expected to continue, we are raising our full-year of 2026 guidance range to 3% to 3.5% global RevPAR growth.”

Marriott International’s loyalty program, Marriott Bonvoy, grew to more than 295 million members during the quarter. The company said in the earnings release that it further strengthened the program during the second quarter by signing new long-term agreements for its co-branded credit card program in the U.S. with JPMorganChase and American Express.

JPMorganChase and American Express are the program’s longstanding partners, Capuano said during the call.

“These agreements reflect the strength of the Marriott Bonvoy brand and the extraordinary value of our brand portfolio, the continued growth of our global lodging system, and the powerful combination of scale and engagement represented by our cardholders and more than 295 million loyalty program members,” Capuano said.

ConocoPhillips čeká růst EPS i tržeb ve 2. čtvrtletí
COP ConocoPhillips
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
Key Takeaways ConocoPhillips is expected to post higher Q2 earnings and revenues from year-ago levels.COP's Q2 EPS estimate of $2.96 implies 108.5% growth, with revenues seen rising 19% to $17.54B.Higher oil prices may aid COP, but volatility, unhedged output and Qatar's shut-in could weigh on results. ConocoPhillips (COP - Free Report) is set to report second-quarter 2026 results on Aug. 6, before the opening bell.

Let us delve into the factors that are likely to have influenced the performance of the leading independent exploration and production player. However, before that, it would be worth reviewing COP’s performance in the previous quarter.

Highlights of COP’s Q1 Earnings & Surprise HistoryIn the last reported quarter, COP’s earnings of $1.89 per share beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.73, driven by lower costs and improved operational efficiency.

ConocoPhillips’ earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate in each of the trailing four quarters, delivering an average surprise of 1.03%. This is depicted in the graph below:

The upstream player beat earnings estimates in three of the trailing four quarters and missed once, delivering an average surprise of 5.78%. This is depicted in the graph below.

COP’s Estimate TrendThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter earnings per share of $2.96 has witnessed one upward and four downward revisions in the past 30 days. The consensus estimate implies an increase of 108.5% from the year-ago reported number.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues of $17.54 billion indicates a 19% improvement from the year-ago reported figure.

Factors to Consider for COPConocoPhillips is expected to have sustained a stable performance during the second quarter, driven by higher commodity prices. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the West Texas Intermediate spot price for April and May 2026 was $100.32 and $102.13 per barrel, respectively, before falling to $84.81 in June. These prices marked a significant increase from the $63.54, $62.17 and $68.17 per barrel reported in the corresponding period of 2025. The pricing environment is expected to have supported the company's upstream earnings.

However, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East likely resulted in significant price volatility during the second quarter, adding uncertainty to ConocoPhillips' operating environment. In addition, the company remains unhedged on its oil and LNG production. While this strategy allows it to fully benefit from higher commodity prices, it also leaves earnings more exposed to downside price movements. Further, Qatar’s production shut-in may have affected its LNG operations in the region, potentially weighing on overall performance.

These factors are anticipated to have affected volume and pricing dynamics, potentially hampering COP’s performance in the to-be-reported quarter.

Viasat čeká růst tržeb, ziskovost tlačí investice
VSAT ViaSat
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
Key Takeaways VSAT is expected to post higher Q1 fiscal 2027 revenues, led by commercial aviation and government demand.Viasat's ViaSat-3 F3 rollout is expected to expand Asia-Pacific capacity and support connectivity services.VSAT may face earnings pressure from satellite investments, financing costs and competitive markets. Viasat, Inc. (VSAT - Free Report) is set to report first-quarter fiscal 2027 results on Aug. 4, after the closing bell. It pulled off a trailing four-quarter earnings surprise of 498.46%, on average, beating estimates on the previous three occasions and missing once.

The company is expected to record year-over-year revenue growth, driven by strength in its commercial aviation and government businesses, supported by the commercial rollout of ViaSat-3 F3. However, higher satellite network investments, elevated capital spending and financing costs are likely to have weighed on the bottom line.

Factors at PlayDuring the first quarter of fiscal 2027, Viasat is expected to have benefited from the commercialization of ViaSat-3 F3, which expands network capacity across the Asia-Pacific region. The satellite is likely to have supported service revenues by enabling additional aviation, maritime, enterprise and government connectivity services, while strengthening the company's global broadband capabilities.

During the quarter under review, continued execution of the Protected Tactical SATCOM-Global (PTS-G) Program Swarm 1 Delivery Order is expected to have boosted Viasat's government business. Ongoing work under the United States Space Force contract is likely to have supported demand for the company's secure dual-band satellite communication systems, contributing positively to defense revenues.

Viasat's commercial aviation business is expected to have delivered a solid performance during the quarter, supported by the continued rollout of its in-flight connectivity solution across Jetstar's long-range international fleet. Growing adoption of its next-generation cockpit connectivity service by airlines is likely to have generated higher aviation revenues.

Despite top-line growth, Viasat's earnings might have remained under pressure amid intense competition in the communications and defense markets. Management expects aviation revenue growth to moderate in fiscal 2027, while any delays in regulatory approvals or the commercial ramp-up of the ViaSat-3 satellites could postpone capacity expansion and weigh on broadband revenue growth. In addition, uncertainty surrounding the U.S. government budget remains a potential headwind for the defense business, as it could affect contract awards and revenue generation.

For the June quarter, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for total revenues is pegged at $1.20 billion, indicating an increase from the year-ago quarter’s reported figure of $1.17 billion. The consensus mark for earnings is pegged at 10 cents per share, indicating a decline from 17 cents reported in the year-ago quarter.

Earnings WhispersOur proven model does not conclusively predict an earnings beat for Viasat for the first quarter of fiscal 2027. The combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold) increases the chances of an earnings beat. However, that is not the case here.

Earnings ESP: Earnings ESP, which represents the difference between the Most Accurate Estimate and the Zacks Consensus Estimate, is 0.00%. You can uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they’re reported with our Earnings ESP Filter.

Zions zvýšila dividendu a rozšířila odkup akcií
ZION Zions Bancorporation
FMP Stock News 86
Original source text
Key Takeaways Zions Bancorporation increased its quarterly dividend by 6.7% to 48 cents per share.ZION expanded its 2026 share repurchase target to $300 million with a new $75 million authorization.Zions Bancorporation strengthened capital, funding and loan growth while advancing strategic expansion. Zions Bancorporation National Association (ZION - Free Report) maintains a disciplined capital distribution strategy, focusing on returning value to shareholders through regular increases in dividends and new share repurchase plans.

Last month, the company increased its quarterly cash dividend by 6.7% to 48 cents per share. Over the past five years, ZION has raised its dividend five times, with an annualized growth rate of 5.2%. The company has a payout ratio of 27% and currently offers a dividend yield of 2.58%.

Apart from dividends, Zions has been actively returning capital through share repurchases. Recently, the board authorized an additional $75 million common share repurchase program for the third quarter of 2026, bringing the 2026 repurchase target to $300 million.

During the second quarter of 2026, the company repurchased 1.2 million common shares for $75 million. This, together with regular dividend payouts, brought total capital distribution to $142 million in the quarter.

Zions has been pursuing strategic growth initiatives to strengthen its core operations. In March 2026, the company agreed to acquire the agency lending business of Basis Investment Group, expanding its real estate financing capabilities and capital markets platform. The deal is expected to enhance Zions' presence in high-growth Western markets and support long-term revenue growth through a broader range of commercial real estate lending solutions.

As of June 30, 2026, Zions' loans and leases totaled $62.5 billion, up 3% year over year, while total deposits increased 4% to $76.6 billion. The total borrowed funds declined 53% to $3.2 billion, primarily due to lower short-term FHLB advances, highlighting the company's improving funding profile. Further, ZION maintains an investment-grade BBB+ long-term issuer credit rating from S&P Global Ratings, reflecting its strong credit profile and ability to meet its financial obligations even during periods of economic stress.

The company’s estimated Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) capital ratio improved to 11.8% as of June 30, 2026, from 11.0% a year earlier, while the Tier 1 risk-based capital ratio and total risk-based capital ratio were 11.9% and 14.0%, respectively. The Tier 1 leverage ratio improved to 9.4%, underscoring the company's solid capital strength and ability to withstand economic uncertainty.

Thus, Zions’ consistent dividend hikes, active share repurchases, and disciplined payout strategy indicate strong capital management and financial stability. Thus, the company is well-positioned to sustain enhanced capital distribution activities and reinforce investor confidence in its long-term prospects.

Zions’ Price PerformanceOver the past six months, shares of Zions Bancorporation have gained 9.2%, outperforming the industry's 1% growth.

Cognex čeká růst tržeb díky AI strojovému vidění
CGNX Cognex
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
Key Takeaways Cognex expects Q2 revenues of $280M-$300M and adjusted EPS of 40 cents to 44 cents. AI vision launches and demand in electronics, chips, packaging and logistics may fuel growth.Sales changes and cost cuts support 28%-31% adjusted EBITDA margins despite macro risks. Cognex (CGNX - Free Report) is scheduled to report its second-quarter 2026 earnings results on Aug. 5.

CGNX anticipates adjusted earnings between 40 and 44 cents per share, indicating year-over-year growth of approximately 68% at the midpoint.

The company expects revenues between $280 million and $300 million, representing approximately 16.5% year-over-year growth at the midpoint. The to-be-reported quarter is expected to benefit from approximately $7 million of electronics orders shifting from the third quarter into the second quarter, while continued demand from semiconductor equipment manufacturers, packaging customers and large e-commerce logistics clients is likely to support overall growth.

For the second quarter of 2026, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings is pegged at 42 cents per share, unchanged over the past 30 days, suggesting a year-over-year increase of 68%.

The consensus mark for second-quarter 2026 revenues is pegged at $293.24 million, indicating a 17.72% year-over-year increase.

Cognex beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings in all the trailing four quarters, with the average surprise being 22.41%.

Let us see how things have shaped up for the upcoming announcement.

Factors Likely to Influence CGNX’s Q2 PerformanceCognex’s second-quarter 2026 performance is expected to have benefited from sustained strength across its key end markets, particularly electronics, semiconductor, packaging and logistics. Top-line growth is expected to benefit from broad-based demand across customers and geographies, supported by ongoing supply-chain diversification, consumer device refresh cycles, new device form factors and continued sales force transformation.

The to-be-reported quarter’s results are expected to benefit from increasing adoption of Cognex’s artificial intelligence (AI)-powered machine vision portfolio. The latest In-Sight 6900 and In-Sight 3900 embedded vision systems, together with the OneVision platform, strengthen the company’s edge AI ecosystem and expand its capabilities in high-performance industrial inspection. Cognex indicated that successful AI-driven product launches and broader customer adoption are supporting stronger demand and commercial momentum. This trend is likely to have benefited top-line growth in the to-be-reported quarter.

Cognex is expected to benefit from its ongoing sales force transformation and productivity initiatives in the to-be-reported quarter. The company noted that its revamped go-to-market strategy is beginning to deliver meaningful improvements in commercial execution and sales effectiveness. Portfolio optimization and cost-reduction initiatives remain on track, supporting expectations for adjusted EBITDA margins between 28% and 31% through favorable product mix, operating leverage and improved organizational efficiency. At the midpoint, adjusted EBITDA is expected to expand 880 basis points.

However, despite healthy demand, Cognex continued to operate against an uncertain macro backdrop, which is likely to have hurt top-line growth. The company’s gross margin is likely to have suffered from tariffs, rising memory-chip costs and broader supply-chain inflation in the to-be-reported quarter.

What Our Model Says About CGNXAccording to the Zacks model, the combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold) increases the odds of an earnings beat. But that is not the exact case here.

Key Takeaways Akamai is expected to post year-over-year revenue growth in second-quarter 2026 results.AKAM expanded API security and AI security offerings by partnering with Arrow Electronics to widen reach.AKAM faces pressure from legacy delivery weakness, higher investments and softer enterprise spending. Akamai Technologies, Inc. (AKAM - Free Report) is set to report second-quarter 2026 results on Aug. 6, after the closing bell. It pulled off a trailing four-quarter earnings surprise of 7.54% on average, beating estimates on the previous three occasions and matching once.

The company is expected to record year-over-year revenue growth, supported by strength in its cybersecurity and cloud businesses. However, higher investments and continued weakness in its legacy content delivery business are likely to have weighed on margins and profitability.

Factors at PlayDuring the second quarter of 2026, Akamai introduced Security Posture Center and Code-to-Runtime Mapping to strengthen its API Security offerings. The enhanced capabilities are expected to have boosted demand for the company's API security solutions by improving API visibility and threat protection, supporting incremental revenue growth.

Akamai expanded its go-to-market reach through a partnership with Arrow Electronics during the quarter under review. The collaboration is expected to have broadened its distribution network, expanded its enterprise reach and strengthened sales opportunities for its cybersecurity and cloud solutions.

During the quarter, the company further enhanced its artificial intelligence (AI) security portfolio with the launch of Agentic Security Framework. The new solution is expected to have encouraged early enterprise adoption of AI security capabilities, reinforcing Akamai's position in the fast-growing market for secure AI-driven applications, making a positive impact on revenues.

However, Akamai's performance during the to-be-reported quarter is likely to have remained under pressure with continued weakness in its legacy content delivery business and higher investments in cloud infrastructure, AI and security offerings. Uncertain macroeconomic conditions and cautious enterprise spending might have limited its customer demand and affected its bottom line.

For the June quarter, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues is pegged at $1.09 billion, indicating year-over-year growth from $1.04 billion. The consensus estimate for adjusted earnings per share is pegged at $1.58, indicating a decline from $1.73 reported a year ago.

Earnings WhispersOur proven model does not predict an earnings beat for Akamai for the second quarter. The combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold) increases the chances of an earnings beat. However, that is not the case here.

Q2 Earnings Beat Not Likely for APPOur proven model doesn’t conclusively predict an earnings beat for APP this time around. APP’s Price Dynamics and ValuationThe stock has plunged 41% year to date, compared with the broader industry's 10% decline, but the sell-off has not made valuations compelling.

Even after the correction, ARM continues to trade at a forward 12-month price-to-earnings multiple of 21X, above the industry average of 20.79X. It trades at a forward 12-month price-to-sales multiple of 13.82X, way above the industry average of 2.8X, suggesting the stock remains far from inexpensive.

Investment ConsiderationsAppLovin’s growth story remains firmly intact, with demand for its AI-powered advertising and app monetization platform continuing to accelerate. Sustained expansion reflects increasing adoption of AppLovin’s AI-enhanced advertising solutions, particularly improvements driven by its Axon platform. The company has also broadened its reach beyond its traditional gaming customer base into larger e-commerce and digital advertising markets, creating new opportunities for long-term expansion.

Although rapid revenue growth continues to attract investor attention, AppLovin’s profitability may represent its greatest long-term strength. The company is increasingly generating revenues from higher-margin software offerings, allowing a much larger percentage of incremental sales to flow directly to the bottom line. This favorable business mix, combined with disciplined cost management, has significantly improved operating efficiency over the past several quarters.

Despite these positives, the early-stage nature of its e-commerce initiatives and elevated valuation contribute to a balanced investment case. With the company carrying a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold), a cautious stance appears appropriate as investors weigh the company’s structural strengths against near-term uncertainties. Existing shareholders may benefit from staying invested to capture long-term upside, while new investors could consider waiting for greater clarity or more attractive entry points.

How AppLovin Compares With Key U.S. PeersThe Trade Desk (TTD - Free Report) operates a leading demand-side platform built around programmatic advertising and data-driven targeting. While the company benefits from strong relationships with premium brands and advertisers, its margin profile tends to be more sensitive to fluctuations in advertising spending. In many ways, The Trade Desk focuses on scale and reach, while AppLovin concentrates more heavily on performance and efficiency.

Unity Software (U - Free Report) also participates in the advertising ecosystem through its real-time 3D platform and monetization tools for developers. However, Unity’s advertising business remains closely tied to the developer community and has been more volatile. Unlike AppLovin, Unity is still working to balance growth with consistent profitability, which makes AppLovin’s margin stability a notable differentiator among these peers.

Monster Beverage čeká růst tržeb i EPS ve 2. čtvrtletí
MNST Monster Beverage
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
Key Takeaways Monster Beverage is expected to post 14.5% YoY revenue growth and a 13.5% rise in Q2 EPS.Innovation, zero-sugar momentum and pricing actions are expected to support Monster Beverage's Q2 growth.Global expansion may offset pressure from aluminum, freight and elevated expenses at Monster Beverage. Monster Beverage Corporation (MNST - Free Report) is expected to have delivered solid top- and bottom-line growth when it reports second-quarter 2026 results. The results are expected to have been supported by resilient demand for energy drinks, effective pricing actions and continued expansion across international markets.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues is pegged at $2.42 billion, indicating growth of 14.5% from the figure reported in the year-ago quarter. The consensus estimate for earnings of 59 cents per share implies a rise of 13.5% from the year-ago quarter’s actual. The consensus mark has been stable in the past 30 days.

In the last reported quarter, the company registered a positive earnings surprise of 9.4%. It has delivered an average positive earnings surprise of 9.6% in the trailing four quarters.

Key Factors to Note Ahead of MNST’s Q2 ResultsMonster Beverage's second-quarter 2026 performance is expected to have benefited from continued robust demand across the global energy drink category, supported by healthy consumption trends and expanding household penetration. Management has highlighted that the category continues to gain traction globally, driven by increasing consumer preference for functional beverages, broader usage occasions and strong lifestyle appeal. The company's diversified portfolio — spanning premium, zero-sugar and value offerings — remains well positioned to capitalize on these favorable category dynamics across North America, EMEA, Asia-Pacific and Latin America.

Innovation and product launches are expected to have remained important growth drivers in the quarter under review. Monster has been expanding its innovation pipeline with new flavors across the Ultra and Juice Monster families, alongside the launches of FLRT, its female-focused energy brand, and Storm, its wellness beverage offering. Seasonal promotions tied to America 250 celebrations, new packaging formats and continued momentum in zero-sugar products are also expected to have supported consumer demand and strengthened retail shelf presence during the quarter.

Pricing actions and revenue growth management are also likely to have influenced second-quarter results. Management indicated that pricing initiatives implemented in late 2025 have continued to perform as expected, with the company evaluating additional pricing opportunities while monitoring consumer demand and retailer response. These actions, together with disciplined promotional spending, are expected to have helped offset inflationary pressures and supported revenue growth.

International markets are anticipated to have remained a key growth engine in the quarter. Monster Beverage continues to gain market share across EMEA, Asia-Pacific and Latin America, supported by strong execution, innovation, expanding distribution and affordable brands such as Predator and Fury. The company has also been benefiting from increasing penetration in high-growth markets including China, India and Australia, while its partnership with The Coca-Cola Company continues to strengthen global distribution capabilities.

However, investors are likely to closely monitor margin performance amid persistent cost pressures. Monster Beverage expects aluminum costs to continue rising sequentially through the remainder of 2026 due to higher Midwest Premiums linked to tariffs. Although management believes the overall tariff impact will remain modest and continues to employ hedging strategies, higher aluminum costs, freight expenses and an unfavorable geographic sales mix could continue to pressure gross margins. At the same time, ongoing investments in digital transformation, higher stock-based compensation and continued brand-building initiatives may keep operating expenses elevated, underscoring the importance of disciplined cost management in the quarter.

Atlassian čeká hospodářské výsledky, tržby podpoří cloud a AI
TEAM Atlassian
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
Key Takeaways Atlassian to report fiscal Q4 results on Aug. 6 with revenue guidance of $1.653-$1.661B.TEAM's cloud, AI offerings and enterprise adoption are expected to support quarterly growth.TEAM may face pressure from softer IT spending, competition and continued investment costs. Atlassian (TEAM - Free Report) is scheduled to report fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 results on Aug. 6, 2026.

Atlassian projects fiscal fourth-quarter revenues between $1.653 billion and $1.661 billion. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues is pegged at $1.66 billion, suggesting growth of 19.8% from the year-ago reported figure.

For the fiscal fourth quarter, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for NET’s second-quarter earnings is pegged at $1.48 per share, suggesting growth of 51% from the same quarter last year. The consensus mark has been revised upward in the past 30 days.

Atlassian surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate in each of the trailing four quarters, with an average surprise being 21.47%.

Factors to Consider Before TEAM’s Q4 EarningsThe growing adoption of Atlassian’s cloud-based offerings, driven by the ongoing digital transformation of enterprises and the rising popularity of hybrid work environments, is likely to have favored the company’s to-be-reported fiscal fourth-quarter performance. Continued migration from on-premises deployments to the cloud and healthy demand from enterprise customers are expected to have remained key growth drivers.

Strong demand for Atlassian’s core collaboration offerings, including Jira and Confluence, along with increasing adoption of AI-powered workflow solutions such as Rovo and Teamwork Collections, is likely to have acted as a major catalyst in the to-be-reported quarter. The company’s strategy of embedding generative AI capabilities across its platform is expected to have encouraged greater customer engagement and product expansion.

Growing enterprise adoption is likely to have supported the company’s fiscal fourth-quarter results. Atlassian has been witnessing stronger traction among large organizations as customers expand platform usage, standardize on its cloud offerings and increasingly adopt higher-value solutions across multiple business functions.

The continued shift toward subscription-based offerings is expected to have remained a tailwind in the to-be-reported quarter. The company’s recurring revenue model, coupled with expanding cloud adoption and cross-selling opportunities, is likely to have supported top-line growth while improving the overall quality of revenues. Atlassian’s investments in product innovation, AI-powered automation and strategic acquisitions are likely to have strengthened its competitive position during the fiscal fourth quarter.

However, Atlassian’s fiscal fourth-quarter performance might have been affected by softening enterprise IT spending amid persistent macroeconomic uncertainty. Slower customer additions, an increasingly competitive collaboration software market and continued investments in sales, marketing and research and development are likely to have remained near-term headwinds.

What Our Model SaysOur proven model does not conclusively predict an earnings beat for Atlassian this season. The combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold) increases the chances of an earnings beat. However, that’s not the case here.

TEAM currently has an Earnings ESP of 0.00% and carries a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell). You can uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they’re reported with our Earnings ESP Filter.

Tenable roste o 40 %, zůstává levnější než u konkurence
TENB Tenable Holdings
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
Tenable (TENB +7.05%) is a cybersecurity company that specializes in exposure management, a proactive form of enterprise protection that identifies vulnerabilities in corporate networks before attackers can exploit them. Hackers are currently using artificial intelligence (AI) to find these weaknesses faster than ever before, so demand for exposure management is surging.

As a result, Tenable stock has soared by over 40% this year. But it has a market capitalization of just $3.6 billion, so it's still worth a fraction of cybersecurity giants CrowdStrike and Palo Alto Networks, which have a combined market cap of over $450 billion.

Moreover, Tenable stock looks like a bargain compared to its peers based on one widely used valuation metric, which could open the door to significant long-term upside.

Exposure management is entering a new era Tenable is the owner of Nessus, which is the cybersecurity industry's most accurate and most widely deployed tool for identifying vulnerabilities. It constantly scans devices, operating systems, and networks for weak spots, so they can be patched before they are exploited. However, Nessus alone is no longer enough, so it has become an onramp to Tenable's growing portfolio of more advanced products.

The company built a comprehensive exposure management platform called Tenable One, which is designed to fulfill every possible requirement enterprises might have. It's powered by an AI engine called Hexa AI, which learns how different corporate assets interact so that it's equipped to flag vulnerabilities. Moreover, it autonomously runs scans to ensure an appropriate security posture is maintained, and it even coordinates specialized AI agents that can implement fixes when necessary.

Tenable One also features a specific tool to protect enterprises when their employees are deploying AI software. It's called AI Exposure, and it constantly monitors how AI applications are being used and what data is at risk, so it can quickly uncover vulnerabilities. It can also identify new, sophisticated tactics like prompt injection, which is when hackers instruct internal AI applications to hand over sensitive data.

During the second quarter, Tenable One accounted for half of Tenable's new sales, which suggests customers are leaving individual products behind and opting for the comprehensive all-in-one platform solution instead.

Modest revenue growth, but improving profits Tenable generated $268.5 million in revenue during Q2, topping management's forecasted range of $263 million to $266 million. The result represented fairly modest growth of just 8.6% from the same quarter last year, and that's partly because the company is carefully managing costs to improve its bottom line.

Tenable had $195.8 million in total operating expenses during Q2, down from $200.3 million in the year-ago period. There were cost cuts across the board, including in growth-oriented areas like marketing, which helped the company eke out a net profit of $3.8 million. That was a massive improvement from its $14.7 million loss in the same quarter last year.

On an adjusted (non-GAAP) basis, which excludes one-off and non-cash expenses like stock-based compensation, Tenable's profits soared by 40% to $57.9 million. As the company gradually becomes more profitable, it will have the flexibility to invest more aggressively in areas like marketing, which could lead to a reacceleration in its revenue growth in the future.

One of the cheapest cybersecurity stocks money can buy The price-to-sales (P/S) valuation metric divides a company's market capitalization by its trailing 12-month revenue. Tenable's P/S ratio is currently just 3.7, which is a steep discount to its average of 7.1 since going public in 2018. Moreover, Tenable is substantially cheaper than Palo Alto and CrowdStrike, which have P/S ratios of 22.9 and 38.1, respectively.

CRWD PS Ratio data by YCharts.

CrowdStrike's annual recurring revenue grew by 24% to $5.5 billion during its most recent quarter. Since the company is bringing in more money and growing at a faster pace compared to Tenable, it deserves a higher valuation -- but I think a tenfold premium is a bridge too far.

I'm not suggesting Tenable will ever trade at a similar P/S ratio to CrowdStrike, but its valuation does leave room for upside. For example, its stock would have to soar by 92% just to bring its P/S ratio in line with its long-term average of 7.1, which might be a good medium-term target for investors.

This stock could deliver far more upside in the long run as AI becomes a bigger security factor for businesses all over the world.

How Did Peers Perform? Here are some stocks from the broader finance space that have also reported their quarterly results: RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd. (RNR - Free Report) , Aon plc (AON - Free Report) and The Hartford Insurance Group, Inc. (HIG - Free Report) . Here's how they have performed:

RenaissanceRe reported second-quarter 2026 operating income of $12.92 per share, which surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 12.9%.  The bottom line also improved 5.1% year over year. Total operating revenues declined 6.7% year over year to $2.64 billion. The quarterly earnings benefited from lower expenses, higher net investment income and an improved total combined ratio. However, RNR’s upside was partly offset by lower net premiums earned, weaker underwriting results in the Casualty & Specialty segment and lower fee income.

Aon reported second-quarter 2026 adjusted earnings of $3.81 per share, which surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 1.1%. The bottom line advanced 9% year over year. Total revenues of $4.2 billion grew 2% year over year. AON’s quarterly results were supported by strong organic revenue growth, healthy client retention, operating margin expansion and disciplined execution. Solid performance across the Commercial Risk, Reinsurance and Health Solutions businesses was partly offset by weakness in Wealth Solutions.

Hartford delivered second-quarter fiscal 2026 earnings per share of $3.42, up 6% year over year and above the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $3.12 by 9.6%. Revenues came in at $5.23 billion, which improved 6.8% year over year. HIG’s quarterly results benefited from higher investment income, premium growth in Business Insurance and improving Personal Insurance profitability. Strong new business expansion in Small Business and favorable pricing trends supported results. However, the upside was partly offset by an increased expense level, higher catastrophe losses and weaker Employee Benefits profitability.

DoorDash čeká růst výnosů a silný Marketplace GOV
DASH DoorDash
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
Key Takeaways DoorDash will report Q2 results on Aug. 5, with revenues expected to rise 31.53% year over year.DASH projects Marketplace GOV of $32.4-$33.4 billion, supported by strong demand and order growth.Grocery expansion and DashPass gains may help, while competition and heavy investments pressure costs. DoorDash (DASH - Free Report) is set to release its second-quarter 2026 results on Aug. 5.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings is pegged at 50 cents per share, unchanged over the past 30 days. This indicates a year-over-year decline of 23.08%.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues is pegged at $4.32 billion, suggesting a 31.53% increase year over year.

The company’s earnings surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate in two of the trailing four quarters while missing it twice, with an average surprise of 7.98%.

Let us see how things have shaped up for this announcement.

Factors Likely to Have Driven DASH’s Q2 2026DoorDash’s second-quarter 2026 performance is expected to have benefited from strong total orders and Marketplace GOV, enhanced logistics efficiency and an increasing contribution from advertising. In the first quarter of 2026, Marketplace GOV increased 37% year over year to $31.6 billion. For the second quarter of 2026, DoorDash expects Marketplace GOV in the range of $32.4-$33.4 billion.

DoorDash is consistently investing in expanding its partner base to provide express grocery delivery for consumers, a new offering that cements its position further among other on-demand delivery platforms. This is expected to have boosted DoorDash’s total orders in the to-be-reported quarter. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter total orders is pegged at $974 million, indicating 27.9% year-over-year growth.

DoorDash’s second-quarter 2026 performance is expected to have benefited from healthy consumer demand, accelerating DashPass membership and rising order frequency. Monthly active users reached an all-time high, while member growth accelerated and subscription engagement remained strong across DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt. The company indicated that the second quarter had started on a strong note, reflecting sustained demand momentum.

The quarterly performance is expected to have benefited from continued strength in DoorDash’s grocery and new-verticals businesses. The company has been expanding its grocery selection by adding retail partners while improving affordability, basket building, fulfillment capabilities and picking accuracy. Continued grocery market share gains, broader merchant selection and investments in DashMart Fulfillment Services and retail fulfilment capabilities are expected to have supported higher order frequency in the second quarter.

However, DoorDash faces extensive competition in its largest business category, local food delivery logistics, which is expected to have hurt its top-line growth in the to-be-reported quarter. The company also faces competition from local incumbents in the markets. Heavy investments in global infrastructure, new verticals and technology platforms are creating prolonged cost burdens.

What Our Model SaysPer the Zacks model, the combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold) increases the odds of an earnings beat. But that is not the exact case here.

Key Takeaways Dutch Bros' Q2 EPS is projected to rise 11.5% YoY to 29 cents, while revenues are seen up 26.1% to $524.2M.BROS may benefit from same-shop sales growth, food rollout and stronger digital engagement in Q2.Higher coffee costs, food rollout expenses and build-to-suit lease costs may pressure BROS' margins. Dutch Bros Inc. (BROS - Free Report) is scheduled to report second-quarter 2026 results on Aug. 5.

BROS’ earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate in each of the trailing four quarters, the average surprise being 31.6%.

Trend in the Estimate Revision of BROSThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter earnings per share (EPS) is pegged at 29 cents, indicating a rise of 11.5% from 26 cents reported in the year-ago quarter.

For revenues, the consensus mark is pegged at $524.2 million. The metric suggests a rise of 26.1% from the year-ago quarter’s figure.

Let us take a look at how things might have shaped up in the quarter to be reported.

Factors Likely to Shape BROS’ Quarterly ResultsDutch Bros’ second-quarter 2026 performance is likely to have benefited from sustained transaction growth, healthy customer demand and continued same-shop sales momentum. The company expects system same-shop sales growth to approach 5% for the quarter, supported by underlying brand strength and transaction growth beyond the unusually successful limited-time offering that aided first-quarter results.

The continued expansion of Dutch Bros’ food platform is likely to have supported second-quarter sales. The program had reached 485 system shops by the end of the first quarter, with attachment rates tracking in the low teens and ahead of initial expectations. Shops offering food continued to generate an approximately 4% comparable-sales lift, while the platform strengthened the morning beverage occasion. Further rollout during the quarter is likely to have supported same-shop sales, transactions and morning-daypart demand.

Strength in company-operated shop revenues and franchising and other revenues is expected to have driven the second-quarter top line. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for company-operated shop revenues is pegged at $485.5 million, up from $380.5 million reported in the prior-year quarter. The consensus estimate for franchising and other revenues is pegged at $38.7 million, compared with $35.3 million a year ago.

Digital engagement and menu innovation may also have supported second-quarter results. Continued adoption of Order Ahead, stronger in-app offer effectiveness and expanded rewards segmentation are likely to have encouraged repeat visits and strengthened customer engagement. The May launch of Myst Energy Refreshers may have provided an additional transaction catalyst by broadening Dutch Bros’ customized energy platform and addressing additional customer occasions.

Pricing and shop expansion are expected to have provided second-quarter top-line support. Dutch Bros carried approximately 1.5 percentage points of pricing into the quarter, benefiting average ticket. The company entered the period with its shop-opening cadence ahead of schedule, while new-shop productivity remained in line with record system-wide AUVs. Strong early performance at converted Clutch Coffee Bar locations and continued openings across existing and new markets may have further expanded the revenue base.

However, elevated input costs are likely to have pressured profitability in the second quarter. Coffee-cost pressure is expected to become more pronounced as 2026 progresses, while expenses associated with the continued food rollout are likely to have weighed on the cost of goods sold. In addition, higher rental expenses stemming from the shift toward build-to-suit leases are expected to have constrained company-operated shop margins in the to-be-reported quarter.

CIFR Cipher Mining
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
Key Takeaways CIFR's Q2 performance is expected to reflect its shift from Bitcoin mining to hyperscale data centers.Barber Lake, Black Pearl and Stingray advanced, but construction and financing costs likely rose.Odessa remained CIFR's main revenue source, though Bitcoin prices and network difficulty posed risks. Cipher Digital Inc. (CIFR - Free Report) is scheduled to report second-quarter 2026 earnings on Aug. 4. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter revenues is currently pegged at $29.28 million, indicating a 32.78% year-over-year decline.

The consensus mark for loss is pegged at 21 cents per share, unchanged over the past 30 days. This implies a year-over-year deterioration from a loss of 12 cents.

Cipher Digital’s earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate in one of the trailing four quarters, matched in another and missed on the remaining two occasions, with an average negative surprise of 354.05%.

Let’s see how things have shaped up for CIFR before the announcement.

Key Factors to Note Ahead of CIFR’s Q2 ResultsCipher Digital’s second-quarter 2026 results are likely to reflect its shift from Bitcoin mining toward hyperscale data-center development. The company entered the quarter with three long-term campus leases and 700 megawatts of contracted HPC capacity. However, meaningful lease revenues had not begun, leaving near-term performance reliant on mining as construction spending increased. This transition is expected to have improved long-term visibility but pressured second-quarter profitability.

Construction progress at Barber Lake and Black Pearl should remain a central focus. Barber Lake had completed structural steel work and secured about 99% of required equipment, while Black Pearl’s retrofit and expansion phases were advancing with most equipment procured. Higher labor and procurement activity are likely to have increased capital expenditures and working-capital needs in the quarter.

Stingray’s development is another key driver. Cipher began mobilization and substation work while targeting fourth-quarter 2026 energization. Project-level financing reduces funding uncertainty and limits reliance on corporate equity, but additional borrowing raises leverage and interest obligations. Stingray activity is, therefore, expected to have strengthened growth visibility while adding near-term financing costs.

Odessa remained Cipher’s primary operating revenue source entering the second quarter. The 207-megawatt facility operated at roughly 11.6 exahash per second and benefited from power costs near 2.8 cents per kilowatt-hour. Still, revenues remained exposed to Bitcoin prices, network difficulty and production variability, while Black Pearl mining had been decommissioned. These factors may have limited sequential mining revenues despite Odessa’s favorable cost structure.

Finally, operating and financing costs warrant attention. Cipher had expanded staffing to support development, increasing compensation and professional expenses, while project debt lifted interest expense. Higher overhead, financing costs and noncash valuation movements are likely to have kept reported earnings volatile in the quarter.

Key Takeaways MACOM Technology is expected to post Q3 EPS of $1.34 and revenues of about $335.1 million.MTSI's data center business was projected to grow nearly 35% sequentially on 800G and 1.6T demand.Industrial & Defense growth, higher utilization and better yields may support further margin expansion. MACOM Technology Solutions Holdings, Inc. (MTSI - Free Report) is set to report third-quarter fiscal 2026 results before market open on Aug. 6.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for third-quarter earnings is pinned at $1.34 per share, indicating a 48.9% year-over-year increase. The consensus estimate for the bottom line has remained unchanged over the past 60 days.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for MACOM Technology’s third-quarter revenues is pegged at approximately $335.1 million, suggesting a 32.9% jump from the year-ago quarter’s sales of $252.1 million.

MACOM Technology’s earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate in each of the trailing four quarters, the average surprise being 1.78%.

Let’s see how things are shaping up for the upcoming quarterly results.

Factors Likely to Have Shaped MTSI’s Q3 PerformanceMACOM Technology’s third-quarter performance is likely to have benefited from strong growth across the data center business. During the last earnings call, management projected nearly 35% sequential growth in this segment, supported by rising deployments of 800G and 1.6T optical connectivity products, strong demand for photodetectors and increasing production of pluggable optical modules. The company also raised its fiscal 2026 data center growth outlook from more than 40% to more than 60%, reflecting strong customer demand.

Industrial & Defense (I&D) is likely to have remained another bright spot. MACOM Technology’s revenues from this segment reached record levels in the previous quarter, backed by healthy defense spending, growing radar and electronic warfare programs, and increasing demand from the company's top defense customers. Management expected this business to post nearly 10% sequential growth in the third quarter, supported by a healthy pipeline of production programs and modernization projects.

Telecom may also have contributed, although at a slower pace. Management had guided for low single-digit sequential growth, supported by improving cable infrastructure demand and ongoing activity in satellite communication programs. While major LEO production ramp-ups are expected to contribute more meaningfully in fiscal 2027, current low-rate production programs are likely to have provided incremental revenues during the to-be-reported quarter.

Operational execution is also expected to have remained a tailwind in the third quarter. Higher factory utilization, improving manufacturing yields and expanding production capacity are expected to have supported another quarter of gross margin expansion. Management had guided for adjusted gross margin of 59-60%, operating margin near 30%, and adjusted EPS between $1.31 and $1.37.

Q3 Earnings Whispers for MACOM TechnologyOur proven model does not conclusively predict an earnings beat for MTSI this season. The combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold) increases the chances of an earnings beat. However, that’s not the case here.

MACOM Technology currently carries a Zacks Rank #3 and has an Earnings ESP of 0.00%. You can uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they are reported with our Earnings ESP Filter.

Encompass Health beat the consensus estimate for earnings in each of the trailing four quarters, with the average surprise being 9.8%, as you can see below.

Q2 Earnings Whispers for EHCHowever, our proven model does not conclusively predict an earnings beat for the company this time around. The combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy), or 3 (Hold) increases the odds of an earnings beat. That’s not the case here.

EHC has an Earnings ESP of 0.00% and carries a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell). You can uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they’re reported with our Earnings ESP Filter.

What’s Shaping EHC’s Q2 Results? The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Inpatient revenues suggests 7.8% year-over-year growth. Also, the same for Outpatient and other revenues indicates a nearly 8% increase from a year ago. Medicare revenues are expected to grow 8.9% in the second quarter.

Meanwhile, the consensus estimate for total discharges signals a 5.8% year-over-year rise, while our model estimate predicts a 6.7% increase. The consensus mark suggests 1.8% year-over-year growth in net patient revenue per discharge in the second quarter.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the number of hospitals is currently pegged at 176, up from 169 a year ago. Both the consensus estimate and our model estimate for occupancy are pegged at 79.9%, up from 76.6% in the year-ago quarter.

The factors stated above are expected to have positioned the company for year-over-year growth in revenues and profits. However, the upside was likely partly offset by elevated operating expenses, particularly due to higher salaries, benefits, and general administrative costs.

How Are EHC’s Peers Doing This Quarter?Companies in the broader Medical space, like Tenet Healthcare Corporation (THC - Free Report) , The Ensign Group, Inc. (ENSG - Free Report) and Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS - Free Report) , have already reported their results for the June quarter, and here’s how they have performed.

Tenet Healthcare reported second-quarter 2026 adjusted EPS of $6.12, which surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 50% and increased 52.2% year over year. The strong quarterly results were driven by strong same-facility revenue growth, higher patient acuity and THC’s disciplined expense management. However, the gains were partly offset by an unfavorable payer mix due to lower exchange admissions.

Ensign reported second-quarter 2026 adjusted EPS of $1.92, which beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 6.7% and improved 20.8% year over year. ENSG’s strong results were driven by higher occupancy, improved patient days and contributions from acquired and transitioning facilities, along with growth in rental income. The positives were partly offset by higher expenses.

Universal Health Services reported second-quarter 2026 adjusted EPS of $5.98, which beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 5.7%. The bottom line rose 10.1% year over year. The strong quarterly results were driven by healthy revenue growth across both the Acute Care and Behavioral Health segments. Higher adjusted admissions, increased patient days and improved unit revenues on a same-facility basis supported performance in both businesses. However, the upside was partly offset by UHS’ elevated operating costs.

BorgWarner čeká výsledky, varuje před poklesem baterií
BWA BorgWarner
FMP Stock News 86
Original source text
Key Takeaways BorgWarner to report Q2 results on Aug. 5, with EPS seen at $1.26 and revenues at $3.58 billion.BWA's partnerships and Eldor acquisition support electrified propulsion despite soft vehicle production.BorgWarner expects battery sales to fall again in 2026, weighing on growth despite margin guidance. BorgWarner Inc. (BWA - Free Report) is slated to release second-quarter 2026 results on Aug. 5, before market open. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the to-be-reported quarter’s earnings per share (EPS) and revenues is pegged at $1.26 and $3.58 billion, respectively.

For the second quarter, the consensus estimate for BorgWarner’s earnings has moved a penny over the past 30 days. Its bottom-line estimates imply growth of 4.1% from the year-ago reported numbers.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for BWA's quarterly revenues implies a year-over-year decline of 1.5%. The company's earnings beat estimates in each of the trailing four quarters, delivering an average surprise of 11.08%. This is depicted in the graph below:

Q1 HighlightsBorgWarner’s adjusted earnings of $1.24 per share in the first quarter of 2026 beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.16 by 6.83%. Revenues of $3.53 billion topped the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $3.47 billion by 1.74% and increased 0.5% year over year.

Things to NoteBorgWarner’s partnerships with FinDreams Battery and onsemi, along with the Eldor hybrid systems acquisition, continue to strengthen its electrified propulsion portfolio across batteries, power electronics, and ignition systems. Its battery energy storage systems are cell-chemistry and form-factor independent, allowing the company to expand beyond mobility into stationary and data center applications.

Even though global vehicle production remains soft, BorgWarner still expanded its adjusted operating margin by 50 basis points to 10.5% in the first quarter of 2026 while adjusted EPS rose 12%, thanks to aggressive cost controls, operational discipline, and the exit from weaker charging businesses. The company expects full-year adjusted operating margin guidance in the range of 10.7-10.9% despite inflation and lower battery sales compared to 10.7% in 2025.

Partnership with FinDreams Battery and onsemi, along with a resilient margin forecast for full-year 2026, are likely to have bolstered the company’s performance in the to-be-reported quarter.

However, BorgWarner’s battery segment remains a major weak spot. The company expects battery sales to decline again in 2026 because of lower North American EV incentives and weaker European EV demand. The battery business alone represents a roughly 150-basis-point headwind to annual sales growth. Also, despite diversification efforts, over 80% of BorgWarner’s sales still come from the light vehicle market. The company expects weighted vehicle production to remain flat to down 3% in 2026.

Weakness in the battery segment and a decline in vehicle production are likely to have impacted BorgWarner’s performance in the second quarter.

Let’s have a look at our estimates for BWA’s segmental performance.

We expect Turbos & Thermal Technologies revenues to be $1.41 billion, suggesting a 5% year-over-year decline. For the Drivetrain & Morse Systems segment, we project sales of $1.46 billion, indicating a 2.4% year-over-year increase. We expect PowerDrive Systems sales to be $611 million, suggesting a rise of 5.2% year over year. For the Battery & Charging Systems segment, we project sales of $92.7 million, indicating a 41.7% year-over-year decline.

Earnings WhispersOur proven model does not conclusively predict an earnings beat for BorgWarner for the quarter to be reported, as it does not have the right combination of the two key ingredients. A positive Earnings ESP, combined with a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold), increases the odds of an earnings beat. This is not the case here.

Earnings ESP: BWA has an Earnings ESP of +0.62%. This is because the Most Accurate Estimate is pegged higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate. You can uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they’re reported with our Earnings ESP Filter.

Zacks Rank: It currently carries a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell).

MKS čeká silné výnosy díky poptávce po polovodičích
MKSI MKS Instruments
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
Key Takeaways MKS Inc. expects Q2 revenues near $1.20B and non-GAAP earnings of $2.90 per share.AI investments are lifting semiconductor demand across DRAM, NAND, logic and advanced packaging. Tariffs may trim gross margin by 30-40 basis points, while industrial growth remains modest. MKS INC. (MKSI - Free Report) is scheduled to report its second-quarter 2026 earnings results on Aug. 5.

MKSI expects second-quarter 2026 revenues of $1.20 billion (+/- $40 million). The consensus mark for second-quarter 2026 revenues is pegged at $1.21 billion, indicating a 24.14% year-over-year increase.

On a non-GAAP basis, MKSI expects earnings of $2.90 (+/- 30 cents) per share. For the second quarter of 2026, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings is pegged at $2.94 per share, having increased by a couple of pennies over the past 30 days, suggesting a year-over-year increase of 66.10%.

MKSI topped the Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings in three of the trailing four quarters while missing once, with an average surprise of 7.64%.

Let us see how things have shaped up for the upcoming announcement.

Factors Likely to Have Driven MKSI's Q2 PerformanceMKSI's second-quarter performance is expected to have benefited from strong momentum across its core end markets, particularly in semiconductors and electronics & packaging. For the second quarter of 2026, the company expects semiconductor revenues of approximately $550 million, electronics and packaging revenues of approximately $350 million and specialty industrial revenues of approximately $300 million.

The company is expected to have benefited from accelerating semiconductor demand, driven by artificial intelligence (AI)-related investments across DRAM, NAND and advanced logic/foundry markets. Semiconductor revenues are expected to increase in the high teens sequentially and more than 25% year over year. Strong demand for remote plasma and microwave products used in advanced DRAM, dissolved gas solutions for leading-edge logic nodes and lasers for back-end semiconductor applications is likely to have supported the to-be-reported quarter. Increasing NAND equipment upgrades, growing investments in advanced packaging and rising deposition and etch intensity are expected to have driven demand for the company's vacuum, power and plasma solutions.

In the Electronics and Packaging segment, MKSI is set to benefit from continued strength in chemistry and chemistry equipment, as well as laser drilling systems. AI is driving increased complexity and layer counts in advanced circuit board manufacturing, leading to higher demand for deposition, etch and chemistry equipment. Second quarter 2026 revenues in this segment are expected to grow in the high single digits sequentially and more than 30% year over year, with particular strength in flexible PCB drilling for high-end smartphones, wearables and rigid PCB applications related to the low earth orbit satellite market.

However, gross margin was 47% in the first quarter of 2026, but management noted a year-over-year decline tied to incremental tariff impacts. The company’s second-quarter 2026 outlook assumes the current tariff environment. In the first quarter of 2026, tariff costs were largely neutralized dollar for dollar, yet the company expects a 30 bps to 40 bps gross margin impact that is included in the second-quarter guide. For the second quarter of 2026, MKSI anticipates a gross margin of 47% (+/- 1%).

Specialty Industrial revenues were $291 million in the first quarter of 2026, down 2% sequentially due to Lunar New Year seasonality. While revenues grew 8% year over year, results remain exposed to end-market swings in areas such as automotive and industrial. Management’s second-quarter 2026 outlook of $300 million (+/- $10 million) implies only modest near-term growth.

What Our Model Says About MKSIAccording to the Zacks model, the combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold) increases the odds of an earnings beat. That is the exact case here.

MKSI currently has an Earnings ESP of +1.59% and a Zacks Rank #2. You can uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they are reported with our Earnings ESP Filter.

Key Takeaways Shake Shack's Q2 revenue estimate implies 17.2% growth, while EPS is projected to fall 29.6%.Smoky BBQ and Clubhouse launches drove traffic and ticket growth, supporting same-Shack sales.Digital guest counts and app downloads rose over 35%, while new openings likely aided revenues. Shake Shack Inc. (SHAK - Free Report) is scheduled to report second-quarter 2026 results on Aug. 5, before the opening bell.

SHAK’s earnings topped the Zacks Consensus Estimate in three of the trailing four quarters, and missed on the remaining one occasion, with an average surprise being negative 15.5%.

Trend in the Estimate Revision of SHAKThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter 2026 earnings is pegged at 31 cents per share, down 29.6% year over year. In the past 30 days, earnings estimates for the to-be-reported quarter have been revised downward by 3 cents.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues is pegged at $417.8 million, indicating 17.2% growth from the prior-year actual.

Let us take a look at how things might have shaped up in the quarter to be reported.

Factors Likely to Shape SHAK’s Quarterly ResultsShake Shack’s second-quarter performance is likely to have benefited from continued momentum in same-Shack sales, supported by positive traffic trends, menu innovation and targeted marketing investments. Management noted that the company entered the quarter with improving sales momentum, aided by the successful launch of its Smoky BBQ platform, including the BBQ Boneless Baby Back Rib Sandwich, which drove strong guest response early in the quarter.

Menu innovation is expected to have remained a key traffic driver. The company highlighted strong nationwide performance from the Clubhouse Pimento Cheeseburger and Chicken Sandwich introduced in March, while management indicated that the BBQ menu platform significantly exceeded expectations in May and was driving both traffic and ticket growth. Continued beverage innovation and a robust pipeline of limited-time offerings are also likely to have supported guest engagement in the quarter.

Digital engagement and expansion are likely to have supported second-quarter growth. Digital-channel guest count and app downloads rose more than 35%, while higher visit frequency lifted digital customer lifetime value by roughly 20%. Meanwhile, contributions from new restaurants likely aided revenues after Shake Shack raised its 2026 company-operated opening target to 60-65 locations.

On the profitability front, Shake Shack’s earnings are expected to decline year over year, as persistent commodity inflation, particularly higher beef costs, likely remained a headwind. Higher expenses related to restaurant expansion, repairs and maintenance, and sales-driving initiatives may also have partly offset productivity gains.

Nonetheless, continued improvements in labor productivity, supply-chain efficiencies and process optimization are likely to have provided some support. These initiatives might have helped mitigate elevated beef costs and contributed to restaurant-level margin expansion in the quarter to be reported.

Applied Optoelectronics roste po tržbách a dodávkách 800G transceiverů
AAOI Applied Opt
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
Applied Optoelectronics (NASDAQ:AAOI) is up 13.34% in Monday trading, and the setup behind that surge is why this move has staying power well beyond a single session. Shares are riding a 170.57% year-to-date gain and a 312.42% one-year rally, and the fundamental engine driving that repricing is only now shifting into higher gear. For investors tracking the AI infrastructure buildout, AAOI offers exposure without paying $4 trillion market caps to do it.

Pillar 1: The Q1 Datacenter Report Was the Real Catalyst Q1 2026 revenue landed at $151.14M, up 51.4% year-over-year, marking the fourth consecutive quarter of record revenue. The headline figures technically missed consensus, but the mix tells the story. Datacenter revenue hit $81.40M, more than doubling from $32.05M a year earlier, driven by the 800G transceiver ramp. CEO Thompson Lin confirmed the company “completed our first volume shipment of our 800G products to one of our large hyperscale customers in Q1.” That single sentence de-risks the entire product cycle. A hyperscale qualification is the hardest gate in optical networking, and AAOI is now through it.

Pillar 2: Q2 Guidance Signals a Step-Function Acceleration Management guided Q2 revenue to $180M to $198M, a dramatic sequential jump off the $151M Q1 base. Non-GAAP EPS guidance of -$0.03 to $0.03 puts the company on the doorstep of profitability. Lin was explicit: “we anticipate sequential revenue growth throughout this year, with significantly larger growth expected starting in Q3 as additional capacity comes online.” Management also floated a full-year 2026 revenue path that could exceed $1 billion, versus $455.7M for all of 2025. That is a step-change growth trajectory.

Pillar 3: The Structural Moat Is U.S. Capacity at Scale AAOI exited Q1 with manufacturing capacity of nearly 100,000 units of 800G transceivers per month and has nearly doubled its Houston-area footprint through real estate acquisitions and leases. In a tariff-sensitive world where hyperscalers are actively diversifying away from single-region supply chains, being the premier U.S. producer of AI-focused datacenter optics is a genuine structural advantage. The balance sheet backs the ambition: $449.38M in cash, shareholders’ equity up 257.9% year-over-year to $1,105.95M. AAOI is funding the ramp without diluting shareholders or piling on debt.

The Risk, and Why It Loses The obvious pushback is margin compression. GAAP gross margin narrowed to 29.1% from 30.6% as datacenter mix rose, and R&D spending climbed to $25.7M from $17.8M year-over-year. Bears will say the company is buying growth. That misses the point. Gross profit still expanded 43.78%, and every dollar of R&D and capacity spend today is directly attached to a hyperscale purchase order tomorrow. Margins compress on ramps and expand on scale. The Q3 capacity coming online is when that math flips.

The Setup From Here The analyst consensus target sits at $150.30, with 2 Strong Buy, 1 Buy, 3 Hold, and zero Sell ratings. The full-chain put/call ratio of 0.26 shows options positioning skewed heavily toward upside. Beta of 3.687 means the stock will move, but the direction is anchored by a doubling datacenter segment, a hyperscale qualification in hand, and $1 billion in achievable annual revenue. AAOI’s trajectory will continue as long as AI capex accelerates, and that trend is not slowing in 2026.

BAH roste díky výsledkům a silnému objemu zakázek
BAH Booz Allen Hamilton Holding
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
Key Takeaways BAH shares gained 11.9% in a month as earnings, contract execution and estimates improved.National Security backlog rose 15.2%, while quarterly funding climbed 17% and book-to-bill hit 1.5.Civil revenues fell 16.4%, while modest growth guidance and 2.7 leverage support a measured view. Shares of Booz Allen Hamilton Holding Corporation (BAH - Free Report) have gained 11.9% over the past month, offering investors a sharp rebound after a difficult stretch. The move follows improving earnings signals and stronger contract activity.

The question is whether better execution and national security demand can extend the recovery. Weakness in the Civil and Commercial business, investment requirements and leverage still argue for a measured view.

Why BAH’s One-Month Rally MattersThe recent gain contrasts with BAH’s 9.5% decline over the past three months and 36.5% drop over the past 52 weeks. That divergence suggests expectations may be improving, but it does not erase the caution reflected in the longer-term trend.

A one-month rebound can become more durable when earnings estimates, contract awards and operating performance move in the same direction. BAH has shown progress in those areas, though the recovery remains early.

BAH’s Earnings Momentum Supports the MoveBooz Allen’s fiscal first-quarter adjusted earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 21.5%. Earnings of $1.81 per share rose 22.3% year over year, while adjusted EBITDA increased 7.4% and the adjusted EBITDA margin expanded 130 basis points to 11.9%.

Management credited strong contract execution for profit above expectations. Positive estimate revisions add another favorable signal, indicating that analysts have become more constructive about near-term earnings.

National Security Demand Could Help BAHNational Security revenues increased 1.3% year over year to $2.03 billion. Funded backlog rose 15.2%, quarterly funding climbed 17% and the quarterly book-to-bill ratio reached 1.5, providing support for management’s expectation of better second-half growth.

New defense, intelligence, cyber and advanced technology work could strengthen that trajectory. CACI International Inc (CACI - Free Report) also targets national security missions through software and technology capabilities, making it a relevant peer for assessing federal demand. Leidos Holdings, Inc. (LDOS - Free Report) serves national security customers with digital and mission solutions, including cyber and intelligence work.

Civil Weakness Could Cap BAH’s UpsideCivil and Commercial revenues fell 16.4% to $772 million. Management expects another sequential double-digit decline, which could keep consolidated revenue growth uneven even if National Security improves.

Contract roll-offs, fewer program starts and smaller follow-on awards remain the main pressure points. The mix shift has not prevented margin expansion, but persistent top-line weakness would make continued profit growth harder to sustain.

BAH’s Valuation Leaves Room for DebateBAH trades at 10.91X forward earnings, below its sub-industry, sector and five-year median. That discount may appeal to value-focused investors, particularly if earnings and backlog trends continue to improve.

The lower multiple also reflects real concerns. Fiscal 2027 revenue guidance calls for growth of only 0-4%, planned capital expenditures total about $220 million and the net leverage ratio stands at 2.7. Strategic investment could support future growth, but it also raises execution demands.

BAH’s Mixed Signals Favor a Balanced ViewThe bottom line is that BAH’s rebound has support from better profitability, estimate revisions and national security demand, but Civil weakness and modest revenue guidance limit the case for chasing the stock after its recent gain.

BAH currently carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold), along with a Value Score of A, Growth Score of A, Momentum Score of A and VGM Score of A. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank stocks here.

The Style Scores point to favorable value, growth and momentum characteristics, while the neutral Zacks Rank suggests investors may prefer to wait for clearer evidence that the recovery can broaden and persist.

Pagaya překonala odhady zisku a zvýšila výhled pro rok 2026
PGY Pagaya
FMP Stock News 92
Original source text
Key Takeaways PGY beat Q2 earnings estimates as record revenues and network volume lifted quarterly results.Pagaya posted record $387M in revenues and $3.54B in network volume, led by interest income and auto growth.PGY raised its 2026 outlook for network volume, GAAP net income and adjusted EBITDA. Shares of Pagaya Technologies (PGY - Free Report) have gained almost 19% since the release of its second-quarter 2026 results on July 30. Quarterly adjusted earnings per share of $1.07 comfortably surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 71 cents. The bottom line improved 67.2% from the prior-year quarter.

Results were aided by record performance across key metrics. The company recorded an improvement in total revenues, which, along with growth in network volumes, primarily supported the results. An increase in expenses hurt the results to some extent.

Net income attributable to Pagaya (GAAP basis) was a record $45.3 million, up significantly from $16.7 million in the prior-year quarter.

PGY’s Revenues Improve, Expenses RiseTotal revenues and other income were a record $387 million, up 18.6% year over year. The increase was driven by a rise in interest income and revenues from fees. A decline in net investment loss also supported the rise. The top line surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $358.2 million.

Total costs and operating expenses increased 4.2% year over year to $281.2 million. The rise was due to higher production costs.

In the second quarter, network volume was a record $3.54 billion, which grew 33.5% year over year, driven by growth in the company’s auto vertical, while maintaining focus on prudent underwriting.

Revenue from fees less production costs (FRLPC) was a record $146.9 million, which increased 16.4% year over year.

FRLPC as a percentage of network volume contracted by 60 basis points (bps) year over year to 4.2%, driven by asset class mix, new partner and product contributions, and tighter pricing on the asset-backed securities (ABS) transactions reflecting higher cost of capital in light of market conditions.

PGY’s Balance Sheet SolidAs of June 30, 2026, total assets were $1.69 billion, up 9.5% from Dec. 31, 2025.

Long-term debt was $471.9 million and shareholders’ equity was $594.2 million.

In the second quarter, the company raised a record $3.7 billion in ABS funding across six transactions.

PGY Management’s OutlookQ3Management expects network volume of $3.425-$3.625 billion.

Total revenues are expected between $370 million and $390 million.

The adjusted EBITDA is expected to be $120-$130 million and GAAP net income is anticipated to be $42-$52 million.

2026The company raised its 2026 outlook.

Network volume of $12.5-$13.25 billion is expected, changed from the previously mentioned $11.45-$13 billion.

Total revenues are projected to be $1.425-$1.525 billion, changed from the previous $1.4-$1.575 billion.

Management raised its full-year net income guidance as well. It expects GAAP net income of $155-180 million, up from the previously mentioned $110-$160 million. Similarly, adjusted EBITDA is expected to be $460-$490 million, up from the previously stated $420-$460 million.

Our Take on PagayaSecular growth in embedded credit, rising efficiency, diversified funding sources and broader multi-product adoption will likely continue to drive Pagaya’s scalable and profitable expansion in the near term. However, uncertainty around the single-family rental strategy might limit the company’s near-term volumes.

Currently, PGY carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

Performance & Expected Earnings Release of PGY’s PeersLendingTree, Inc. (TREE - Free Report) reported second-quarter 2026 adjusted net income per share of $1.27, which missed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.46. The figure compares favorably with $1.13 in the prior-year quarter.

TREE’s results were affected by a decline in Consumer segment revenues and higher total costs. However, growth in revenues and adjusted EBITDA, along with strong Insurance segment performance, supported the results to some extent.

Upstart Holdings, Inc. (UPST - Free Report) is scheduled to report quarterly results on Aug. 4.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for UPST’s quarterly earnings has been unchanged at 58 cents over the past week. The figure indicates 61.1% growth from the prior-year quarter’s actual.

Key Takeaways Sandisk expects fiscal Q4 revenues of $7.75B-$8.25B and non-GAAP EPS of $30-$33.AI infrastructure growth is supporting enterprise SSD demand, a richer product mix and higher shipments.Multiyear agreements aim to improve revenue visibility, pricing stability and reduce NAND cyclicality. Sandisk (SNDK - Free Report) is set to report its fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 results on Aug. 5.

For the to-be-reported quarter, SNDK expects revenues between $7.750 billion and $8.25 billion, driven by both higher bit shipments and improved pricing.  The Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues is pegged at $8.3 billion, suggesting 336.64% growth from the figure reported in the year-ago quarter.

Sandisk expects non-GAAP earnings between $30 and $33 per share. The consensus mark for earnings is pegged at $34.24 per share, up 2.8% over the past 30 days. SNDK reported earnings of 29 cents per share in the year-ago quarter.

Consensus Estimate Trend

SNDK’s earnings have surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate in all the trailing four quarters, with the average being 380.92%.

Let us see how things have shaped up for the upcoming announcement.

Key Factors to Note Ahead of SNDK’s Q4 ResultsSandisk's fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 results are expected to have benefited from continued strength in the Data Center business, supported by surging enterprise SSD demand and favorable NAND pricing. Enterprise SSD momentum is likely to have remained strong as hyperscale customers expanded AI infrastructure, while the company began recognizing revenue from its QLC-based Stargate storage platform, complementing its successful TLC SSD portfolio.

AI-driven inference workloads are expected to have remained a key growth catalyst. Technologies such as KV cache, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and increasingly agentic AI require high-capacity, low-latency NAND flash, making enterprise SSDs an essential part of next-generation AI infrastructure. As hyperscalers optimized inference architectures, demand for scalable NAND storage continued to strengthen, supporting higher enterprise SSD shipments and a richer product mix during the to-be-reported quarter.

The Edge segment is also expected to have contributed positively, supported by increasing storage content in premium smartphones and AI PCs. Sandisk highlighted that on-device AI capabilities are driving higher storage requirements and greater adoption of high-performance NAND solutions. Continued demand from PCs, smartphones, automotive and IoT markets likely to have supported revenue growth while enabling Sandisk to prioritize higher-value customer engagements.

Sandisk Shares Outperform Sector & PeersSandisk shares have jumped 411.7% year to date (YTD), outperforming the Zacks Computer and Technology sector’s appreciation of 11.7%. The company has outperformed its storage peers, including Western Digital (WDC - Free Report) , Seagate (STX - Free Report) and Micron Technology (MU - Free Report) , over the same time frame, shares of which have returned 216.2%, 210.9% and 188.3%, respectively.

SNDK Stock’s Price Performance

Sandisk shares are trading at a premium, as suggested by a Value Score of D. In terms of the forward 12-month price-to-sales (P/S), Sandisk is trading at 3.90X, higher than the Zacks Computer-Storage Devices industry’s 3.31X and Micron’s 3.89X. SNDK Stock’s Valuation

Strong AI Demand to Aid SNDK’s ProspectsSandisk’s biggest long-term catalyst is the rapid expansion of AI inference workloads. The company expects inference, reasoning models, agentic AI, KV Cache and RAG applications to require significantly more high-performance NAND storage. As hyperscalers build AI infrastructure, enterprise SSD demand is expected to remain a major growth driver for years.

Sandisk has significantly strengthened its enterprise SSD business with industry-leading TLC SSDs while expanding into high-capacity QLC solutions through its Stargate platform. The company expects both product families to play complementary roles in AI data centers, increasing SNDK’s exposure to its fastest-growing end market.

Sandisk continues to benefit from rising storage requirements in AI PCs, premium smartphones, automotive systems, robotics and IoT devices. The company believes NAND is becoming increasingly important across virtually every major technology platform, providing diversified long-term demand drivers beyond the data center. Sandisk believes its advanced NAND architecture enables industry-leading performance while allowing mid-to-high-teens annual bit growth through technology migrations rather than expensive greenfield capacity additions.

The company’s new business models (NBMs) are expected to reduce the historical cyclicality of the NAND industry. These multiyear agreements provide committed demand, supply assurance, financial guarantees and a combination of fixed and variable pricing, giving Sandisk greater revenue visibility, pricing stability and more durable margins over several years. The company expects the proportion of contracted business to increase over time.

ConclusionSandisk appears well positioned ahead of its fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 results, supported by robust AI-driven enterprise SSD demand, favorable NAND pricing and expanding adoption of its TLC and QLC storage solutions. The company’s growing exposure to AI infrastructure, disciplined supply strategy and multiyear customer agreements are enhancing revenue visibility and reducing business cyclicality. While its premium valuation may limit near-term upside, sustained momentum in data-center storage and diversified demand across AI PCs, smartphones and automotive markets reinforce Sandisk's long-term growth prospects, making the upcoming earnings release an important catalyst for the stock.

Sandisk currently sports a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) and has a Growth Score of A, a favorable combination that offers a strong investment opportunity, per the Zacks Proprietary methodology. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank stocks here.

SpaceX se vyhne odblokování 456 milionů akcií
SPCX SpaceX
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
A little-known provision in SpaceX’s IPO lock-up agreement could have released an additional 456 million shares as early as Aug. 7 if the stock met a specific performance target ahead of earnings. With shares trading below the required level, that incremental unlock now appears unlikely.

The $175.50 Threshold Is Out of ReachUnder SpaceX’s IPO prospectus, an additional 10% of eligible non-affiliate shares — roughly 456 million shares — could become available for sale two trading days after the company’s first earnings release if certain conditions are met.

The key requirement: SpaceX shares needed to close at or above $175.50, or 30% above the $135 IPO price, on at least five of the 10 trading days before earnings.

With shares recently trading around $107, the stock sits nearly 39% below that threshold. To trigger the additional release before Tuesday’s earnings, SpaceX would need to rally nearly 64% in a single trading session—making the performance-based unlock effectively impossible.

Only the Scheduled Lock-Up RemainsThat leaves investors with just one lock-up event to monitor.

Approximately 912 million shares, representing about 20% of eligible non-affiliate holdings, are scheduled to become eligible for sale on Aug. 5, the second trading day after the company reports second-quarter results.

Had the performance condition been met, another 456 million shares would have followed on Aug. 7, increasing the potential unlock to nearly 1.37 billion shares.

Instead, the upcoming lock-up expiration will be roughly 33% smaller than the maximum amount contemplated in the IPO prospectus.

Why it MattersLock-up expirations don’t automatically lead to insider selling. Employees, early investors and executives remain free to continue holding their shares if they believe the company’s long-term outlook remains intact.

Still, traders closely monitor these events because they increase the supply of stock eligible to trade, often adding volatility around earnings and other major catalysts.

For SpaceX, that means the focus now shifts squarely to Tuesday’s earnings report rather than a much larger-than-expected increase in tradable shares.

The company’s first post-IPO earnings release was already expected to be one of its biggest market catalysts. Now, investors can evaluate the results without having to weigh the possibility of another 456 million shares unexpectedly entering the market just two days later.

SpaceX čeká první hospodářské výsledky jako veřejná firma

Here are the earnings estimates, what experts are saying ahead of the report and the key items to watch.

SpaceX Q2 Earnings EstimatesAnalysts expect SpaceX to report second-quarter revenue of $6.93 billion, according to data from Benzinga Pro.

Analysts expect a quarterly loss of 26 cents per share.

With the company newly public, there are not figures from last year’s second quarter.

SpaceX had revenue of $18.7 billion in fiscal 2025 and reported a net loss of $4.9 billion.

What Experts are SayingSpaceX has attracted many analyst ratings and price targets since going public, along with commentary from top market experts.

"Investors won’t be focused on what the company earned over the past three months, but will likely be looking years down the road," Freedom Capital Markets Chief Market Strategist Jay Woods said in a weekly newsletter.

Woods highlights capital spending as one of the biggest items to watch in the earnings report and in commentary from company management.

"This is expected to be less about the numbers and more about Elon Musk’s vision, his capital spending plans and whether Wall Street is willing to continue funding one of the market’s most ambitious growth stories."

Woods said to look for spending on Starship, Starlink and AI infrastructure and the expected capital returns. Specifically, the market expert said investors should also look for updates on Starlink subscriber growth, government contracts and Starship’s commercialization timeline.

The market expert also said investors should be aware of a lock-up expiration of around 911 million shares on Aug. 6. Those shares held by employees and early investors will be eligible to be sold, adding to the supply of shares available. SpaceX is unlikely to hit other milestones that would unlock more shares yet.

"For one of the year’s most anticipated IPOs, the first earnings report could set the tone for the rest of 2026."

Here are some recent analyst ratings on SpaceX stock and their price targets:

Macquarie: Maintained Outperform rating, with price target $250 HSBC: Initiated with Hold rating, with price target $115 Piper Sandler: Initiated with Neutral rating, with price target $156 Needham: Maintained Buy rating, raised price target from $200 to $250 Evercore ISI: Initiated with Outperform rating, with prices target $230 Key Items to WatchAs the first earnings report as a public company, this could mark a turning point in the SpaceX storyline. The company’s IPO prospectus featured large focus on total addressable market sizes for items like space, AI and more.

Musk is likely to give more details on timelines for some items, including trips to the Moon and Mars.

Those items don’t exactly spark great ideas on the company’s future.

Expect Musk to be overly positive on the company’s future, as he has already warned short sellers betting against the company. With the stock price down, Musk is likely to find more ways to get investors excited about the company’s future.

SpaceX Stock Price ActionSpaceX stock is up 1.9% to $110.37 on Monday versus a 52-week trading range of $104.83 to $225.64. SpaceX stock is down 31.4% from its initial market debut and shares are down 51.1% from their market highs.

Tesla roste díky evropským registracím a oživení
TSLA Tesla
FMP Stock News 72
Original source text
Tesla stock TSLA rose on Monday, extending its recovery from a sharp post-earnings selloff.

The stock gained about 3% to $321.65 in midday trading, putting it on track for a third consecutive daily advance.

The broader market also moved higher, with the S&P 500 rising 1% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average adding 1.2%.

The gains followed a difficult period for Tesla shares, which fell more than 20% after the company reported weaker-than-expected second-quarter results on July 22.

The stock closed below $300 for the first time in more than a year last week after a six-session losing streak.

Tesla reported operating profit of about $400 million for the quarter, roughly $1.3 billion below Wall Street expectations, while providing limited new details on its artificial intelligence initiatives, including robotaxis and the Optimus humanoid robot.

Tesla's July registrations across Europe were mixed, according to data released on Monday.

Vehicle registrations rose 86% year over year in France and 52% in Denmark, according to French automotive body PFA and Denmark's bilstatistik.dk.

However, registrations declined in Norway, Sweden, and Spain.

Tesla's European sales have rebounded in 2026 after two consecutive annual declines, supported by easier year-over-year comparisons, higher fuel prices, government incentives, and stronger consumer demand for electric vehicles.

Investor sentiment was little changed after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Friday that it had opened a preliminary investigation into about 1.2 million Tesla vehicles over reports of suspension failures.

The agency said its Office of Defects Investigation had received 156 complaints alleging that the front lower lateral link detached on certain 2018-2020 Model 3 and 2021-2023 Model Y vehicles, potentially causing a loss of steering control.

According to the agency, the reported failures could leave vehicles undrivable and require towing.

Most complaints indicated there was no advance warning before the failure, although some owners reported hearing noises beforehand.

The regulator said it was not aware of any crashes, injuries, or fatalities linked to the reported issue.

The investigation represents the first stage of the agency's defect review process and could ultimately lead to a recall if a safety-related defect is identified.

Stifel remains bullishDespite those near-term regulatory concerns, several Wall Street firms continue to focus primarily on Tesla's longer-term AI strategy.

Following Tesla's second-quarter results, Stifel lowered its price target on the stock to $491 from $508 while maintaining a Buy rating.

The brokerage said Tesla continues to make progress in Full Self-Driving and robotaxi development, which it views as the company's primary long-term value drivers.

Stifel also cited Tesla's largest order backlog since 2023 and the launch of the Model YL as signs that vehicle demand is improving.

The firm said its valuation is based on a sum-of-the-parts analysis and identified adoption of Full Self-Driving technology and the commercial success of robotaxis as the biggest factors that could influence its investment thesis.

Alphabet roste po uklidnění obav z výdajů na AI

Alphabet (GOOG +4.78%) (GOOGL +5.24%) stock jumped 5.1% through 12:55 p.m. ET Monday after analysts at Morgan Stanley reassured investors about the company's prospects amid record levels of investment in AI infrastructure.

Alphabet Q2 earnings Alphabet reported strong earnings last week, beating expectations with profits of $9.11 per share -- triple what analysts expected. Surprisingly, Alphabet stock sold off after the report and, in fact, continued to trade below its pre-earnings price all the way through Friday.

Earnings beat notwithstanding, investors were spooked by Alphabet's announcement that it was doubling down on AI spending and raising its forecast for capital investment this year to a mind-bending $195 billion to $205 billion.

What Morgan Stanley said about Alphabet's spending But according to Morgan Stanley -- that's OK.

All four of the big AI hyperscalers are spending gobs of money on AI investment. Amazon (AMZN +4.62%) is spending even more than Alphabet -- $220 billion from $200 billion -- while Meta (META +6.15%) has a $130 billion to $145 billion budget, and Microsoft (MSFT +5.23%) is spending about $190 billion.

Total cloud capital expenditure in 2027 could exceed $1.2 trillion this year, says MS. But all this investment is driving huge cloud revenue growth, with Google Cloud Platform growing 82% year over year.

The best news, says the analyst, is that "strong operating cash flow, equity and debt financing, leasing strategies, custom chips, and infrastructure efficiencies are helping fund capex while easing free cash flow pressure," leaving Alphabet with still $53.3 billion in positive FCF over the past 12 months. For now, the analyst isn't worried about how much money Alphabet is spending.

Let's see if Morgan Stanley feels the same next year, when AI spending leaves Alphabet with a free cash flow loss.

Amazon zrychlil růst AWS na 37 %, překonal odhady

Amazon’s (NASDAQ:AMZN | AMZN Price Prediction) Q2 2026 earnings reset the AWS narrative. Cloud growth reaccelerated to 37%, the fastest pace in 18 quarters, and Wall Street is scrambling to catch up. Our 24/7 Wall St. price target sits well above analyst consensus.

The stock trades at $271.58 as of August 3, 2026. Our 24/7 Wall St. price target is $432.91, implying 59.4% upside over 12 months. Our recommendation is buy, with 90% confidence. This is our highest conviction call on a mega-cap this quarter.

24/7 Wall St. Price Target Summary Metric Value Current Price $271.58 24/7 Wall St. Price Target $432.91 Upside 59.4% Recommendation BUY Confidence Level 90% Why AWS Reaccelerating to 37% Changes the Story Amazon rose 17% in the week ended July 31 and is up 17.66% year to date. The stock closed at $271.58 after the Q2 earnings release, roughly 16% off the 52-week high of $278.56.

The July 30 report was the catalyst. Revenue landed at $200.61 billion, up 19.6% YoY, and EPS of $5.75 beat the $1.8227 consensus (inflated by a $53.4 billion Anthropic gain). AWS delivered $42.23 billion at a 39.4% operating margin. Morgan Stanley reiterated Buy with a $335 target.

The Case for $486 and Higher Bulls see a path to $485.91. AWS backlog remains capacity-constrained, and Amazon’s $220 billion planned 2026 capex fills that capacity with Trainium chips, Graviton5 servers, and Anthropic-linked inference workloads.

Advertising compounds at 26% YoY and hit $19.81 billion in Q2. Q3 operating income guidance of $22.5 billion to $26.5 billion against $17.4 billion a year ago signals operating leverage.

The Risks Worth Watching Free cash flow turned negative at -$7.6 billion TTM as capex hit $54.2 billion in a single quarter. The bear scenario lands at $355.96 if AWS growth normalizes and capex returns fail to materialize.

Bulls argue FCF pressure reflects infrastructure investment that Microsoft and Alphabet match dollar for dollar, and the $53.4 billion Anthropic gain validates the AI thesis.

How Amazon Compares to Microsoft and Alphabet The cleanest comps are the other two hyperscalers competing for AI workloads.

Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) trades at a trailing P/E of 26x with Azure growing 43%, ahead of AWS’s 37%. Amazon’s AWS segment operating margin (39.4%) rivals Microsoft’s Intelligent Cloud economics, and AMZN trades at a meaningful discount on trailing multiples.

Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL) is the growth outlier: Google Cloud grew 82% in Q2 to $24.77 billion, and the stock trades at a trailing P/E of 16x. Alphabet’s cheaper multiple is the strongest argument for restraint on our target.

Company Trailing P/E Cloud Growth Amazon 22x 37% Microsoft 26x 43% Alphabet 16x 82% Amazon sits between Microsoft’s premium multiple and Alphabet’s discount, with cloud growth accelerating rather than decelerating.

Amazon Price Prediction 2026-2030 The 24/7 Wall St. price target of $432.91 reflects a buy rating at 90% confidence. AWS margin expansion drives the equity story: a 39.4% operating margin on a re-accelerating $170 billion annualized revenue base carries the call.

The bull thesis holds if AWS sustains 30%-plus growth into Q4 and capex converts to FCF in 2027. It weakens if AWS growth slips below 25% and capex climbs without margin follow-through.

Year 24/7 Wall St. Price Target 2026 $432.91 2027 $540 2028 $670 2029 $820 2030 $971 These projections assume AWS reacceleration and capex converting to durable operating income. Faster Anthropic monetization could drive upside; hyperscaler capex overbuild would drive downside.

Microsoft hlásí růst Azure a Copilotu díky AI
MSFT Microsoft
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
Microsoft (MSFT +5.23%) recently reported its fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 results, and investors couldn't have been more impressed. Shares surged by double-digit percentages in the two days after the company's results were released.

Investor enthusiasm came as Microsoft reported $100 billion in sales from its Azure cloud computing company for the year, and its Copilot subscriptions rose by nearly 50%.

The growth was spurred by Microsoft's massive uptick in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure spending, proving that big investments are paying off for some tech companies.

Meta and Alphabet haven't been so lucky. Here's how Microsoft is converting its AI investments into revenue while its competitors aren't seeing the same results.

Microsoft's big AI investments are paying off Microsoft had two major highlights from its latest results, the first of which was the $100 billion in Azure cloud revenue for the fiscal year, an impressive 33% increase from 2025.

As a cloud company, Microsoft rents out its capacity to enterprises and other companies, rather than using its AI data capacity solely for its own services. That's in contrast to Meta, which mostly uses its artificial intelligence infrastructure for AI tools within its services. Meta recently started charging developers for access to Muse Spark, but it's nowhere near the size of Microsoft's cloud business.

Azure's sales growth shows that when Microsoft invests directly in AI data center capacity, it can dramatically increase sales. Because Microsoft and Meta have fundamentally different businesses, shareholders are highly skeptical that Meta can recoup its AI costs, while they've been mostly positive recently about Microsoft's AI investments.

This leads us to the second highlight for Microsoft, its 30 million paid Copilot seats. That's a nearly 50% increase from the end of April, when the company had over 20 million paid seats.

Paid AI subscribers are one of the most direct ways to show shareholders that AI spending is working, because they indicate that customers see value in the AI services being offered and are willing to pay for them.

Microsoft's free-cash-flow situation is different, too Shareholders often consider how much free cash flow a company has -- the cash left over after paying for its operations and maintaining its assets -- because it's a good indicator of a company's overall financial health.

Record AI spending is decimating the free cash flow of many tech companies, with Meta's plunging 91% in the most recent quarter to just $784 million. And Alphabet's free cash flow has plummeted, falling to negative $5.9 billion in the second quarter, down from positive free cash flow of about $25 billion in the year-ago quarter.

Today's Change

(

5.23

%) $

24.33

Microsoft's capital expenditures (capex) of $175 billion (adjusted from $190 billion, due to an accounting change) are certainly weighing on the company's free cash flow, but it's not as bad as its peers'. Free cash flow is down just 23% from the year-ago quarter and is still relatively high at $19.6 billion.

I still believe Alphabet's AI spending could eventually pay off for the company, because it's in a similar position as Microsoft. It rents out cloud services to customers with Google Cloud and charges for its AI agent through Google Gemini. But its stock has been punished lately, in part because of its evaporating free cash flow.

What Microsoft shareholders should be looking for Microsoft indicated that its capex spending will continue, with management saying on the earnings call that it will exceed $50 billion in Q1.

While investors rewarded Microsoft for its Azure growth, rising Copilot subscriptions, and modest free-cash-flow declines (relative to peers), the company will need to keep the good times coming.

Tech investors have already shown they're not willing to let companies spend without regard to growth, which means Microsoft shareholders will want to keep a close eye on Azure sales growth and Copilot subscription increases.

Any slowdown in these two areas, as capex spending increases, would indicate that Microsoft's AI spending isn't yielding the results it wants. Meta's and Alphabet's share price declines over the past few months are a good reminder that investors are keeping a close eye on AI returns on investment.

Goldman Sachs zvyšuje cílovou cenu Microsoftu kvůli růstu AI
MSFT Microsoft
FMP Stock News 78

Artificial intelligence has entered a new phase. For the past two years, investors rewarded the companies building the picks and shovels of the AI revolution, from semiconductor makers to networking equipment suppliers. That spending spree isn’t ending, but the focus is beginning to shift.

Enterprises now want measurable returns instead of bigger models or larger data centers. That’s creating a different set of winners. Goldman Sachs believes Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT | MSFT Price Prediction) is among the best positioned to benefit because it already has AI woven into the software businesses millions of workers use every day.

Enterprise AI Is Becoming Microsoft’s Biggest Opportunity Goldman Sachs added Microsoft to its U.S. Conviction List this morning as part of its monthly update, while maintaining its Buy rating and lifting its price target to $640 from $610. With Microsoft’s shares trading around $465 — the stock is up 5% in midday trading — that represents roughly 38% upside. More importantly, inclusion on the Conviction List signals higher confidence than a standard Buy recommendation because it reflects Goldman’s highest-conviction ideas based on fundamental analysis.

The investment thesis, outlined by Goldman software analyst Gabriela Borges, marks a subtle but important shift in AI investing. Instead of focusing on companies supplying infrastructure for model training, Goldman is emphasizing businesses that can turn AI into recurring enterprise revenue.

Azure, Copilot Show AI Is More Than Just A Technology Microsoft’s latest quarterly results gave investors tangible evidence that its AI investments are beginning to generate stronger financial returns. Fiscal fourth-quarter results show revenue climbed 18% year over year to approximately $90 billion while Azure revenue growth accelerated to about 43%. The company also disclosed Azure now generates more than $100 billion in annual revenue.

Those numbers matter because Azure isn’t simply renting cloud servers anymore. It has become the foundation for Microsoft’s AI services, while Microsoft 365 Copilot gives enterprises a practical way to deploy AI across email, spreadsheets, coding, meetings, and business workflows.

That’s where Goldman believes the economics improve. Training large AI models demands enormous capital investment. Selling AI-powered productivity software through subscriptions produces recurring, high-margin revenue.

Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Microsoft didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.

Goldman expects Microsoft’s earnings-per-share growth to accelerate from roughly 12% in fiscal 2027 to more than 20% by fiscal 2029 as Copilot adoption expands, AI operating efficiencies improve, and enterprise deployments become routine.

The Next AI Winners May Look Different The AI trade has largely rewarded infrastructure providers over the last two years. Chipmakers and hardware suppliers benefited because every company needed computing power before customers could use AI applications.

That dynamic is beginning to change. As businesses move from experimentation to implementation, software platforms that already have deep customer relationships gain an advantage. Microsoft reaches hundreds of millions of commercial users through Windows, Microsoft 365, Teams, Dynamics, GitHub, and Azure. Adding AI capabilities to products customers already pay for is often easier than convincing them to adopt an entirely new platform.

Granted, Microsoft still faces risks. AI infrastructure spending remains elevated, competition from Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG), Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), and other cloud providers continues to intensify, and enterprise AI adoption could unfold more gradually than optimistic forecasts suggest.

Key Takeaway In short, Goldman Sachs isn’t arguing that AI infrastructure spending is ending. Instead, it believes the biggest investment opportunity is shifting toward companies capable of converting that spending into lasting enterprise revenue. Microsoft’s latest earnings, Azure’s $100 billion annual revenue milestone, and growing Copilot adoption surpassing 30 million paid seats suggest that transition is already underway.

For long-term investors, that’s the more durable story. Building AI infrastructure created the first wave of winners. Helping businesses use AI every day could create the next one, and Goldman Sachs believes Microsoft has one of the strongest positions to capture that opportunity.

GeekWire Illustration Microsoft and Amazon both saw their stocks surge again Monday, riding a post-earnings tech wave across the stock market that pushed Amazon past $3 trillion in value for the first time.

The gains follow earnings reports last week in which both companies’ cloud platforms exceeded expectations. Microsoft said Azure grew 43%, passing $100 billion in annual revenue for the first time. Amazon said AWS grew 37%, its fastest pace in 18 quarters.

Microsoft and Amazon are now the world’s fourth and fifth most valuable companies, respectively. The three ahead of them (Nvidia, Alphabet and Apple) are all headquartered in the Bay Area, although each has sizeable engineering centers in the Seattle region.

Amazon rose 4.6% in intraday trading to $284.15 as of publication time, after touching an all-time high of $287.20 earlier in the session, giving it a market value of $3.06 trillion.

Microsoft climbed 5.2% to $488.97, worth $3.63 trillion. Its rally began Thursday, when it added nearly $450 billion in market value, the largest one-day gain by any company on record.

The rallies came despite AI spending plans that have unsettled investors for much of the year. Microsoft went into earnings near a one-year low, after a $357 billion wipeout to start the year.

It’s all still coming at a huge cost. Microsoft spent a record $41 billion on capital projects last quarter and told investors to expect more than $50 billion in the current quarter. Amazon raised its 2026 forecast to about $220 billion from $200 billion, citing rising memory chip prices.

In one sign of the impact of the spending, Microsoft’s free cash flow fell 23% last quarter. Amazon’s free cash flow turned negative for the first time since 2023.

But cloud growth and other signs of demand for AI seem to have appeased investors for now.

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy told investors the spending reflects unmet demand: “Even at that amount, we will still not have enough capacity to meet all the demand we have in 2026, and I believe this dynamic will also be true in 2027 too. In fact, the demand we already have for 2028 is striking.”

The gains come as both companies operate with fewer people. Amazon confirmed 16,000 more corporate job cuts in January, bringing the total to 30,000 since October, along with more recent reductions in its robotics and artificial general intelligence groups.

Microsoft cut 4,800 jobs in July, revamping its salesforce and overhauling Xbox.

AMD zvýšila tržby o 38 %, segment Data Center o 57 %
AMD AMD
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
I hit the buy button on Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD | AMD Price Prediction) this morning as the market keeps handing me a discount on the one company quietly becoming the second pillar of the AI infrastructure buildout. I cannot stop buying AMD, and here is exactly why.

The Core Thesis: The Second Source Is Now a First Choice What pulls me back to AMD is the customer list, not the chart. The long-term bullish thesis at $455 centers on three tailwinds: the shift to agentic AI, server CPU dominance, and the premier “second-source” enterprise AI position. That second-source label used to mean “the other guy.” Meta has committed to deploy up to 6 gigawatts of AMD Instinct GPUs, and OpenAI signed on as a core preferred partner for another 6 gigawatts, with MI450 deployments planned for the second half of 2026. At roughly $50 to $60 billion in buildout cost per gigawatt Those are structural, multi-year commitments at hyperscaler scale.

The Data That Keeps My Conviction Grounded The Q1 FY2026 numbers seal it. Revenue came in at $10.253 billion, up 37.85% year over year, beating the $9.915 billion estimate. Non-GAAP diluted EPS of $1.37 beat the $1.29 consensus. The Data Center segment is now the engine: $5.775 billion in revenue, up 57% year over year. Free cash flow is the number that matters most. Q1 FCF hit $2.566 billion, up 252.96% year over year, and full-year 2025 FCF landed at $5.519 billion, up 129.48%.

The balance sheet gives me room to hold through drawdowns. Debt-to-equity sits at 0.071, net debt to EBITDA is negative 0.16 (a net cash position), and interest coverage is 28.2x. AMD repurchased $1.316 billion of stock in FY2025. Q2 guidance calls for roughly $11.2 billion in revenue, implying about 46% year-over-year growth, with non-GAAP gross margin expanding to around 56%.

Why AMD, Not NVIDIA or Intel Readers will ask why not NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA). I own some. Every hyperscaler I follow is writing checks to diversify away from a single supplier, and AMD is the only credible second source at scale. NVIDIA’s most recent quarterly revenue growth of 85.2% year over year is being lapped by AMD’s 37.8% headline growth paired with 91.2% earnings growth, and AMD’s operating leverage is compounding faster off a smaller base.

Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and AMD didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.

Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) is the other obvious alternative, and this one is not close. AMD’s Client segment grew 26% and Data Center grew 57% in Q1 FY2026, both directly at Intel’s expense in server and PC CPUs. I would rather own the share taker than the share donor.

The Risk I Refuse to Wave Away China export controls on the MI308 hurt. Q2 2025 absorbed roughly $800 million in inventory and related charges tied to U.S. export restrictions. That is real money and real policy risk that can flare again. AMD absorbed the hit and still delivered FY2025 revenue of $34.64 billion, up 34.34%, and FY EPS of $4.17. The MI450 pipeline and hyperscaler pre-commitments dwarf any single-region restriction.

What Keeps the Buy Button Active Polymarket traders assign an 84% probability that AMD beats its next quarterly report and a 92% probability that Data Center revenue clears $6.25 billion. Analysts carry a $573.15 consensus target with 37 Buy and 5 Strong Buy ratings against zero Sells. I am buying a company with a net cash balance sheet, a customer list that reads like the AI industrial complex itself, and a free cash flow curve bending upward. Every 8% panic day is another invoice the market sends me at a discount.

AMD čeká silný růst datových center ve 2. čtvrtletí
AMD AMD
FMP Stock News 78

Key Takeaways AMD expects double-digit sequential Data Center growth, led by EPYC CPUs and Instinct AI accelerators.Server CPU revenues are projected to rise more than 70% year over year on Turin demand and share gains.Cloud expansions, ROCm gains and Meta's planned GPU deployment may support Data Center growth. Advanced Micro Devices (AMD - Free Report) is expected to have benefited from strong Data Center revenues in the second quarter of 2026, the results of which are scheduled to be released on Aug. 4, 2026. Click here to know how AMD’s overall second-quarter performance is likely to be.

AMD’s Data Center Revenues to Ride on Strong EPYC DemandAMD's Data Center business is expected to have benefited from continued strength in EPYC server CPUs and Instinct AI accelerators. The company guided for double-digit sequential growth in the Data Center segment, driven by more than 70% year-over-year growth in server CPU revenues as hyperscalers and enterprise customers expanded AI infrastructure deployments.

Demand for EPYC processors is expected to have benefited from accelerating AI adoption, particularly inferencing and agentic AI workloads, which require additional CPU compute for orchestration, data movement and accelerator head-node functions. Per AMD, every major cloud provider has been expanding its EPYC footprint, while enterprise adoption continued to strengthen across financial services, healthcare, industrial and digital infrastructure customers.

The company also projected server CPU revenue to grow more than 70% year over year in the to-be-reported quarter, reflecting continued market-share gains and robust demand for fifth-generation EPYC Turin processors. AMD faces stiff competition from Intel (INTC - Free Report) in the server CPU market. Intel continues to emphasize AI-optimized Xeon processors for inference workloads, extensive software compatibility and a broad OEM ecosystem. Intel is also investing in AI accelerators and integrated CPU-GPU solutions, while leveraging its long-standing presence in enterprise data centers to defend its installed base.

The Data Center AI business is also expected to have contributed meaningfully to second-quarter performance. The business is likely to have benefited from continued customer engagement, growing production deployments and expanding demand for Instinct GPUs across cloud, enterprise and sovereign AI customers. This has been helping AMD steer off competition from the likes of NVIDIA (NVDA - Free Report) and Broadcom (AVGO - Free Report) .

Cloud customer momentum is expected to have remained another tailwind in the to-be-reported quarter. AMD expanded EPYC-powered cloud instances with AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Tencent, while Meta committed to deploying up to 6 gigawatts of AMD Instinct GPUs and adopting sixth-generation EPYC processors. These partnerships, together with ongoing software improvements through ROCm and strong MLPerf benchmark results, are expected to have reinforced AMD's competitive position in AI infrastructure and supported continued Data Center growth in the second quarter.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter Data Center revenues is pegged at $6.497 billion, indicating impressive year-over-year growth of 100.5%.

AMD Faces Stiff Competition in Data CenterBroadcom is emerging as one of AMD's biggest competitors in AI infrastructure through its custom AI accelerator (XPU) business. Broadcom expects AI semiconductor revenues to reach $56 billion in fiscal 2026 and exceed $100 billion in fiscal 2027, supported by multi-generation custom AI chip programs with Google, Meta, OpenAI and other hyperscalers. Broadcom is also strengthening its networking leadership with 100-terabit and upcoming 200-terabit Ethernet switches, co-packaged optics, high-speed SerDes and AI fabrics that support massive AI clusters.

NVIDIA continues to dominate AI infrastructure through its integrated hardware, networking and software ecosystem. NVIDIA reported $75 billion in Data Center revenue in the first quarter of fiscal 2027, driven by rapid adoption of Blackwell systems across hyperscalers, AI cloud providers, enterprises and sovereign AI deployments. Beyond GPUs, NVIDIA is widening its competitive moat through its full-stack platform that combines Grace CPUs, Blackwell GPUs, NVLink, Spectrum-X Ethernet, InfiniBand networking and CUDA software.

Client & Gaming Expected to Support AMD’s Q2 ResultsAMD’s Client & Gaming segment is expected to post modest sequential growth in the second quarter of 2026, supported by continued strength in the client business. Gaming revenues are also expected to contribute to second-quarter growth. Overall, AMD guided for modest sequential growth in the Client & Gaming segment in the second quarter.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter Client & Gaming revenues is pegged at $3.824 billion, indicating sequential growth of 6%.

AMD’s Embedded Expected to Accelerate in Q2AMD expects the Embedded segment to rebound in the second quarter of 2026 with double-digit sequential and year-over-year revenue growth. The improvement is expected to have been driven by strengthening demand across multiple end markets following the return to year-over-year growth in the first quarter. Continued momentum in embedded computing, supported by increasing adoption of embedded x86 products, strong design-win activity and expanding opportunities across adaptive computing, communications, aerospace & defense, and industrial markets.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for second-quarter Embedded revenues is pegged at $948 million, indicating year-over-year growth of 15%.

FAA schválila Boeing 737 Max 7 po téměř dekádě zpoždění
BA Boeing
FMP Stock News 88
Original source text
The Federal Aviation Administration has certified the Boeing 737 Max 7, the smallest model in the bestselling family of aircraft, after nearly a decade of delays.

The agency on Monday said the approval "reflects years of sustained work to resolve complex technical issues and complete a thorough review of the airplane's design and supporting safety analyses."

Carriers including Southwest Airlines expected to fly the plane before the pandemic, but increased regulatory scrutiny following the fatal crashes of the in-service Max 8, in 2018 and 2019, other safety and manufacturing crises, and the redesign of an engine anti-icing system delayed certification.

Southwest said in a statement that "certification is an important step toward continuing to modernize our all-Boeing 737 fleet with upgraded interiors and more fuel-efficient aircraft to fit our Customers' preferences and demand patterns."

Airlines can finally start flying passengers soon after planes are certified, but it can take them months to work them into schedules.

Boeing said in a blog post Monday that it and Southwest are preparing for delivery of the first airplane.

"This important certification validates the rigor of our airplane's design and recognizes the determination and resilience of our 737 MAX development team," Stephanie Pope, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, said in a statement.

The FAA said it "required the MAX-7 to incorporate key improvements ... including updates to the flight-control software, flightcrew alerting system, and a redesigned engine anti-ice system," adding that those changes prevent the engine from overheating.

The plane maker is also awaiting certification from the FAA of another long-delayed model, the 737 Max 10, which is the largest in the family and one that some carriers expected to start flying in 2020 as well as the manufacturer's largest plane, the 777X.

Boeing has about 40 of the 737-7s and 737 Max 10s built and in inventory already, and the FAA approval could help the manufacturer bring in much-needed cash, Jefferies analyst Sheila Kahyaoglu said in a note Sunday. Boeing and other manufacturers receive the bulk of an airplane's price when they hand it over to customers.

Boeing stock rose more than 5% in afternoon trading Monday.

The manufacturer, a top U.S. exporter, has been working to ramp up production of its 737 Maxes and 787 Dreamliners, key to its recovery after years of crisis since airlines and other customers pay the bulk of the aircraft's price upon delivery. Boeing opened a new production line in Everett, Washington, in July for its 737 Max airplanes.

The company has been working to win back the trust of the FAA, and has made strides, including in mid-July, when the FAA said it could once again issue airworthiness certificates for its bestselling 737 Max aircraft and 787 Dreamliners. The agency stripped that from Boeing after the Max 8 crashes, which killed 346 people.

Tilray rostl díky distribuci, tržby stouply o 11 %
TLRY Tilray
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
Tilray Brands (TLRY +4.51%) has become much more diverse in recent years. It's become more than just a cannabis producer, as acquisitions in beverages have significantly broadened its opportunities and grown its operations. It's also been expanding into international markets.

Last week, the company reported its year-end numbers for fiscal 2026, and what was surprising was where the bulk of its revenue growth came from. It wasn't from beverages or even from the Canadian cannabis market. Instead, its distribution business was responsible for the vast majority of its growth.

Tilray's distribution business grew by 21% last year Tilray has four main segments, including beverages, cannabis, distribution, and wellness. It's largely known for being a cannabis producer, and it's been becoming a bigger player in the beverage industry due to acquisitions in recent years. Investors may overlook its distribution business, as it may seem less exciting, since it centers on the sale of pharmaceutical and wellness products in overseas markets, with the German-based CC Pharma being a key part of that. But it was the distribution business that generated much of Tilray's growth last year.

The company's net revenue totaled $915.5 million for the fiscal year ending May 31, which was up 11% from the previous year. While it achieved growth across all of its segments, the biggest increase was easily in its distribution business, which remains its largest. Revenue of more than $327 million in that segment grew by 21%, whereas its other business units generated just single-digit growth.

CEO Irwin Simon says the company is poised for further growth and that "Across Europe, we have built one of the industry's most comprehensive medical cannabis and pharmaceutical distribution platforms."

Is Tilray Brands stock worth buying today? Tilray's stock has been rising in recent days, as the results have led to some increased bullishness. However, it's still down close to 50% since the beginning of the year. The growth is encouraging, but what's disappointing is that its beverage business grew by just under 6%, despite being a key focus for Tilray in recent years.

Plus, this remains an unprofitable business, as Tilray incurred an operating loss of $63 million during the fiscal year. Due to its ongoing challenges, investors may still be better off avoiding the cannabis stock, as it has a lot of work to do before it can prove it's a safe investment to hang on to.

Johnson & Johnson zvýšila tržby z onkologie o 16,1 %
JNJ Johnson & Johnson
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
Key Takeaways JNJ's Q2 oncology revenues rose 16.1% operationally to $7.4B as Darzalex and Erleada drove growth.JNJ's newer cancer drugs delivered $1.38 billion in Q2 sales, reflecting continued market share gains.Johnson & Johnson expanded its oncology pipeline with approvals, acquisitions and Inlexzo momentum Johnson & Johnson (JNJ - Free Report) has built a strong position in oncology, with a broad portfolio spanning hematologic malignancies and solid tumors. The company is the market leader in multiple myeloma, supported by blockbuster therapy Darzalex, which is widely regarded as the standard of care and remains J&J's top-selling medicine.

In multiple myeloma, J&J has treatments in every line of therapy. It claims that 80% of multiple myeloma patients receive one or more of its drugs during the treatment journey. In solid tumors, it is seeing strong performance from Erleada and Rybrevant.

Oncology accounts for nearly 29% of the company's total revenues and about 45% of Innovative Medicine sales. In the second quarter of 2026, oncology revenues increased 16.1% to $7.4 billion on an operational basis, fueled by continued momentum for Darzalex and prostate cancer treatment Erleada, although weaker demand for Imbruvica partially offset these gains.

In the second quarter, Darzalex, once again, delivered sales of more than $4 billion, growing close to 18% year over year, while Erleada sales increased 9.5% to $995 million. Imbruvica sales declined 18.6% to $599 million due to continued rising competitive pressure in the United States.

J&J’s new cancer drugs, Carvykti, Tecvayli, Talvey and Rybrevant/Lazcluze are contributing significantly to top-line growth driven by market share gains. Combined, they generated $1.38 billion in sales in the second quarter of 2026.

J&J claims that it is on track to be the #1 oncology company by 2030, with sales projected to exceed $50 billion. Though quite bullish, J&J seems quite confident that it can meet the target, citing strong growth in its marketed cancer drugs and new launches like Rybrevant and Inlexzo.

J&J’s newly launched therapy, Inlexzo, delivered a strong second quarter, with sales more than doubling sequentially from the first quarter number of around $30 million. Sales comfortably exceeded consensus expectations, although J&J did not disclose the exact sales figure. The launch continued to gain momentum in the United States, supported by permanent J-code reimbursement, with one in three eligible patients now starting an Inlexzo regimen, up from one in four in the first quarter.

J&J believes its new cancer drugs, Talvey, Tecvayli, Inlexzo and Rybrevant plus Lazcluze, have the potential to deliver peak sales of $5 billion.

J&J has also significantly strengthened its oncology pipeline in recent years, particularly in colorectal and head and neck cancers. Earlier in 2026, the FDA approved the combination of Tecvayli and Darzalex Faspro for patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma, a regimen that could redefine treatment in earlier stages of the disease.

J&J is also expanding its oncology portfolio through acquisitions, including 2025's Halda Therapeutics deal for a clinical-stage prostate cancer candidate and this year's Firefly Bio acquisition, which added a next-generation antibody platform.

Competition in the Oncology SpaceOther large players in the oncology space are Pfizer (PFE - Free Report) , AstraZeneca (AZN - Free Report) and Merck (MRK - Free Report) , among others.

Oncology sales comprise around 26% of Pfizer’s total revenues. Its oncology revenues grew 7% in the first quarter of 2026, driven by higher sales of drugs like Lorbrena, the Braftovi-Mektovi combination and Padcev, which made up for declining sales of Ibrance, Xtandi and others. Pfizer also has a robust pipeline of cancer candidates with a focus on multiple modalities, including small molecules, ADCs and immuno-oncology biologics. Pfizer will report second-quarter results tomorrow.

Oncology sales now comprise around 46% of AstraZeneca’s total product revenues. Sales in its oncology segment rose 15% at constant exchange rate (CER) to $7.3 billion in the second quarter of 2026. AstraZeneca’s strong oncology performance was driven by medicines such as Tagrisso, Lynparza, Imfinzi, Calquence and Enhertu (in partnership with Daiichi Sankyo).

Merck’s key oncology medicines are the PD-L1 inhibitor Keytruda and the PARP inhibitor Lynparza, which it markets in partnership with AstraZeneca. Keytruda, approved for several types of cancer, alone accounts for around 50% of Merck’s pharmaceutical sales. Keytruda recorded sales of $8 billion in the first quarter of 2026, up 8% year over year. Merck will report second-quarter results tomorrow.

Altria zvýšila tržby díky vyšším cenám Marlboro

Key Takeaways Altria's domestic cigarette shipments fell 3.2% in Q2, or 4.5% excluding trade inventory moves.Higher pricing lifted smokeable net revenues 0.7% and adjusted OCI 2.4% despite lower volumes.Marlboro pricing drove gains, partly offset by smokers trading down to the lower-priced Basic brand. Altria Group, Inc. (MO - Free Report) continues to rely on pricing to support its smokeable products business as cigarette volumes continue to decline. The second quarter of 2026 showed that this strategy remained effective, even as lower shipment volumes continued to weigh on the business.

The smokeable products segment reported domestic cigarette shipment volume fell 3.2% year over year in the second quarter. Excluding trade inventory movements, the decline was estimated at 4.5%, compared with an estimated 5% decline for the overall U.S. cigarette industry. Despite lower shipments, smokeable products net revenues increased 0.7%, while net revenues net of excise taxes rose 2%, driven by higher net pricing.

Adjusted operating companies income (“OCI”) increased 2.4% and adjusted OCI margin expanded 30 basis points to 64.8%. The benefits of higher pricing and refunds of taxes and duties on imported cigarettes more than offset the effects of lower shipment volumes, increased promotional investments, a greater mix of discount products and higher costs.

Pricing remained an important support for Altria's smokeable business during the quarter. Smokeable price realization was 4.5%, driven by strong net pricing for Marlboro. However, the benefit was partly offset by a greater mix of the lower-priced Basic brand as some adult smokers traded down amid discretionary income pressures.

Overall, the quarter demonstrated that pricing continued to help offset the financial impact of lower cigarette shipment volumes. Although changing consumer purchasing patterns and a growing mix of discount products remain challenges, higher pricing continued to support revenue growth and profitability in the smokeable products business.

How Altria Compares With Philip Morris and TPBPhilip Morris International Inc. (PM - Free Report) also demonstrated the strength of pricing in its combustible business in the second quarter of 2026. While helping international combustibles net revenues grow 6.4% organically despite unfavorable geographic mix, Philip Morris reported nearly 10% pricing variance in the quarter. Strong pricing, coupled with stable category share, supported profitability, highlighting how Philip Morris continues to offset mix-related pressures through disciplined pricing.

Turning Point Brands, Inc. (TPB - Free Report) continues to rely on disciplined margin management to navigate a changing tobacco landscape. In the first quarter of 2026, Turning Point Brands expanded Zig-Zag gross margin by 300 basis points through favorable product mix despite weaker sales. Turning Point Brands also offset part of its cost pressures through tariff refunds, helping support overall profitability.

Altria’s Price Performance, Valuation & EstimatesShares of Altria have gained 4.9% in the past six months compared with the industry’s growth of 3.2%.

From a valuation standpoint, MO trades at a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 11.78X, down from the industry’s average of 15.7X.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for MO’s 2026 and 2027 earnings implies year-over-year growth of 5.2% and 3%, respectively.

Xerox po překonání odhadů klesá o 15,5 %
XRX Xerox
FMP Stock News 78

Key Takeaways XRX earnings rose to 36 cents per share, while revenues increased 22% y/y to $1.92 billion.Lexmark and a $105 million tariff benefit helped lift its adjusted operating margin to 10.6% y/y.Xerox raised 2026 revenue guidance to about $7.6 billion and profit outlook to $555-$605 million. Xerox Holdings Corporation (XRX - Free Report) reported impressive second-quarter 2026 results, with both earnings and revenues beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate.

XRX’s earnings of 36 cents per share topped the Zacks Consensus Estimate by more than 100%. In the year-ago quarter, the company had incurred an adjusted loss of 64 cents per share.

Revenues of $1.92 billion surpassed the consensus mark by 1% and rose 22% year over year. The Lexmark acquisition lifted reported growth, while pro forma revenues declined 6.5%. A $105 million pre-tax benefit from IEEPA tariff receivables materially supported profitability.

However, the better-than-expected results and a raised 2026 revenue guidance failed to impress investors, as the stock has declined 15.5% since the earnings release on July 30.

For 2026, Xerox expects revenues of approximately $7.6 billion, up from its previous outlook of more than $7.5 billion. The revision reflects higher expectations for the Print and Other segment. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the same is pegged at $7.59 billion.

Xerox shares have depreciated 28.6% over the past year compared with the Office Supplies industry’s 7.2% decline. The Zacks S&P 500 composite has risen 21.1% over the same time frame.

XRX’s Revenue Mix Reflects Lexmark ContributionEquipment sales revenues increased 15.2% year over year on a reported basis and 15% at constant currency to $387 million. However, pro forma equipment revenues declined 13%, reflecting lower installations and a shift toward entry-level products.

Post-sale revenues climbed 30.7% on a reported basis and 29.7% at constant currency to $1.35 billion. On a pro forma basis, the metric fell 3.9%, hurt by lower equipment service, managed print services and financing revenues.

Xerox’s Print Business Posts Strong Profit GrowthPrint and Other revenues totaled $1.73 billion, up 26.9% year over year but down 6.1% on a pro forma basis. Segment profit surged to $220 million from $65 million, while the segment margin expanded to 12.7% from 4.8%.

Total installations declined 6% on a pro forma basis. Entry color installations rose 6%, but mid-range and high-end installations fell 13% and 19%, respectively. Management expects the entry-product backlog to support installations and revenues during the second half of 2026.

XRX’s IT Solutions Revenues DeclineIT Solutions revenues declined 8.9% year over year to $194 million. Product revenues fell 8.5% to $140 million, while services revenues decreased 14% to $49 million. Segment profit dropped 30% to $7 million and margin contracted to 3.7% from 4.8%.

Underlying activity was firmer than reported revenues. Pro forma non-GAAP gross billings rose 4% to $228 million, with year-to-date gross billings and gross bookings increasing 11% and 6%, respectively. Xerox cited double-digit growth in infrastructure and networking offerings and endpoints.

Xerox’s Margins Benefit From Tariff ReceivablesAdjusted operating income increased to $203 million from $59 million. The adjusted operating margin expanded 690 basis points to 10.6%. Excluding the tariff receivables benefit, the margin was 5.1%, up 140 basis points year over year.

Adjusted gross margin improved to 36.4% from 29.3%, aided by Lexmark, integration synergies and transformation savings. These benefits were partly offset by higher incentive compensation, product costs and lower finance-related fees. Non-financing interest expense increased 82% to $100 million.

XRX Strengthens Cash Flow & Lowers DebtOperating cash flow was $37 million compared with an outflow of $11 million a year earlier. Free cash flow improved to $11 million from an outflow of $30 million. Cash and cash equivalents were $495 million at June 30, 2026, compared with $512 million at year-end 2025.

The company reduced total debt by $223 million during the quarter. Total debt was $4.22 billion, while gross and net leverage improved to 5.9 times and 5.1 times, respectively, from 7 times and 6 times at the end of the first quarter.

Xerox’s Other Raised Guidance For 2026Adjusted operating income is now projected between $555 million and $605 million, up from $450 million to $500 million. Free cash flow guidance remains approximately $250 million. Xerox also raised its Lexmark gross cost synergy target by $50 million to at least $350 million, with half expected to be realized in 2026.

Currently, Xerox carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

Hilton zvýšil tržby, ale obchoduje se draze
HLT Hilton
FMP Stock News 86
Original source text
Key Takeaways Hilton's fee-heavy model lifted franchise and licensing fees 8.5% to $808 million in the second quarter.Hilton's record pipeline reached 541,300 rooms, with 6% to 7% net unit growth expected in 2026 and beyond.HLT trades at 32.3X forward earnings as regional weakness and rising interest expense raise execution risks. Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. (HLT - Free Report) combines improving travel demand, a record development pipeline and a fee-heavy business model that supports earnings and cash generation.

The trade-off is price. Hilton’s valuation sits above industry and market benchmarks, while regional weakness, renovation costs and rising interest expense leave less room for execution missteps.

Hilton’s Fee Model Keeps Growth Capital-LightHilton expands mainly through management, franchise and licensing agreements, allowing hotel owners to fund most property investment. In the second quarter of 2026, franchise and licensing fees rose 8.5% year over year to $808 million, while base and other management fees increased 2.1% to $99 million.

That structure supports cash generation without requiring Hilton to own most new hotels. The company returned $966 million through buybacks and dividends during the quarter and expects approximately $3.5 billion in total capital returns during 2026.

HLT’s Pipeline Supports Durable Unit ExpansionHilton ended June with a record pipeline of 541,300 rooms across 132 countries and territories. Almost half were under construction, and management expects net unit growth of 6% to 7% in 2026 and beyond.

More than 70% of second-quarter signings came from international markets. Conversions represented 36% of openings, while newer brands are expected to drive more than half of future net unit growth. Marriott International (MAR - Free Report) and Hyatt Hotels Corporation (H - Free Report) are relevant peers because both also compete for owners and emphasize capital-efficient network expansion.

Hilton’s Premium Valuation Raises the BarHLT trades at 32.3X forward 12-month earnings, above 21.3X for its Zacks sub-industry, 16.4X for the Zacks Consumer Discretionary sector and 20.3X for the S&P 500.

The multiple also exceeds Hilton’s five-year median of 29.3X. Sustained fee growth, unit expansion and RevPAR gains may support that premium, but the current price leaves limited tolerance for weaker demand or slower earnings growth.

HLT Faces Regional and Financing RisksMiddle East and Africa RevPAR fell 29.5% year over year in the second quarter, while China RevPAR declined 2.2%. Hilton also expects renovations and closures at three owned hotels to reduce 2026 Adjusted EBITDA by approximately $20 million to $25 million.

Debt reached $13.4 billion at June 30, with a weighted average interest rate of 5.03%. Second-quarter interest expense rose to $183 million from $151 million, and the expiration of a $1.6 billion interest-rate swap increased exposure to floating benchmark rates.

Hilton’s Earnings Outlook Offers Mixed SignalsSecond-quarter adjusted earnings of $2.29 per share matched the Zacks Consensus Estimate. Revenues of $3.34 billion missed the consensus mark by 0.6%, though they increased 6.5% year over year.

Management raised full-year system-wide RevPAR growth guidance to 3% to 3.5% compared with the prior expectation of 2%-3% range. Still, the current-year earnings estimate has edged 0.3% lower over the past four weeks, indicating a more measured near-term outlook.

Hilton’s Hold Signal Matches a Balanced SetupHilton’s operating growth remains credible, but its premium valuation and financial risks support patience rather than an aggressive entry. Investors may want clearer evidence that fee growth and unit expansion can offset regional volatility and higher financing costs.

The stock currently carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). Its Value Score of D, Growth Score of D and Momentum Score of D, together with a VGM Score of F, do not signal a favorable combination across the major investing styles. These measures support a balanced stance while Hilton works to convert its pipeline and demand recovery into sustained earnings growth.

Hilton zvýšil výhled na RevPAR, dluh i úroky rostou
HLT Hilton
FMP Stock News 86

Key Takeaways Hilton raised its 2026 RevPAR growth outlook to 3%-3.5% from its earlier projection of 2%-3%.HLT opened 207 hotels and expanded its development pipeline to a record 541,300 rooms.Hilton faces rising debt, higher interest expense, overseas weakness and renovation-related EBITDA pressure. Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. (HLT - Free Report) entered the second half of 2026 with stronger travel demand, faster hotel expansion and a higher RevPAR outlook. These gains reinforce its fee-based growth model, but investors must weigh them against regional disruptions, renovation pressure and rising financing costs.

Hilton’s RevPAR Beat Raises the Stakes for 2026Hilton’s system-wide comparable revenue per available room, or RevPAR, increased 3.9% year over year in the second quarter, exceeding the modeled 2.1% gain. The increase reflected improvements in both occupancy and average daily rate.

The better-than-expected performance prompted management to raise its full-year system-wide RevPAR growth outlook to 3% to 3.5% from the earlier 2% to 3% forecast. The midpoint increased 75 basis points to 3.25% from 2.5%, signaling greater confidence in demand trends through the remainder of 2026.

Hilton also expects roughly 4% RevPAR growth in the third quarter, supported by the World Cup and favorable calendar shifts. Fourth-quarter growth is expected to fall below the full-year range because of unfavorable calendar effects and the midterm elections.

HLT’s U.S. Demand Engine Is Running HotComparable U.S. RevPAR rose 5.4% in the second quarter, supported by business transient, leisure and group demand. Business transient RevPAR increased 5.7%, helped by stronger midweek travel from small and medium-sized businesses, while group RevPAR gained 3.7% on higher company-meeting demand and favorable event timing.

Management expects U.S. RevPAR to grow in the mid-single digits for full-year 2026. Business travel is positioned as the leading driver as midweek demand broadens. Historically low U.S. hotel supply growth of less than 0.5% could also support pricing and occupancy.

Marriott International, Inc. (MAR - Free Report) and Hyatt Hotels Corporation (H - Free Report) also compete with Hilton for travelers, hotel owners and asset-light development opportunities. RevPAR trends, conversion activity and net unit growth are therefore important comparative measures across the three lodging companies.

Hilton’s Expansion Wave Adds More Fee PotentialHilton opened 207 hotels totaling 24,100 rooms during the quarter and added 21,600 net rooms. The additions supported net unit growth of 6.1% from June 30, 2025.

The company also approved 42,900 rooms for development, lifting its pipeline to a record 541,300 rooms across 132 countries and territories. Almost half of the pipeline was under construction, while more than half of the rooms were outside the United States.

Conversions represented 36% of second-quarter openings across 12 brands and nearly 30 countries. Management expects conversions to account for approximately 40% of full-year openings, giving Hilton another channel for expanding its fee-generating network without relying entirely on new construction.

HLT’s Overseas Weakness Threatens the MomentumHilton’s regional performance remained uneven. Europe delivered 4.3% RevPAR growth, supported by business and leisure demand, but RevPAR in the Middle East and Africa declined 29.5%.

The regional drop reflected a 16.1-percentage-point decrease in occupancy and an 8.1% decline in average daily rate. Although the result was better than management previously expected, the timing and pace of recovery remain uncertain.

China presented another challenge. RevPAR declined 2.2% because of weaker group travel related to continued government restrictions. This contrasted with 6.3% growth across Asia Pacific excluding China. Persistent weakness in the Middle East, Africa or China could restrain management and franchise fee growth despite healthier demand in the United States and Europe.

Hilton’s Debt and Renovations Create a Reality CheckHilton’s total debt increased to $13.44 billion as of June 30, 2026, from $12.46 billion at the end of 2025. The company issued $1 billion of 5.5% senior notes due in 2031 during the quarter.

Second-quarter interest expense climbed to $183 million from $151 million a year earlier. Hilton’s $1.6 billion interest-rate swap also matured in March 2026, leaving the company without outstanding swaps and increasing its exposure to movements in benchmark rates on variable-rate borrowings.

Renovation activity is creating another near-term drag. The Munich Park and Amsterdam hotels are fully closed, while Hilton’s Tokyo property is undergoing a major renovation. Management expects the projects to reduce 2026 adjusted EBITDA by approximately $20 million to $25 million.

The investments may improve the properties’ future performance, but they lower the ownership segment’s current contribution and introduce execution risk around reopening schedules and operating recovery.

HLT’s Ratings Keep the Travel Boom in PerspectiveHilton’s improving demand trends, growing development pipeline and capital-light expansion model support its long-term fee outlook. Still, overseas volatility, renovation disruptions and higher interest costs limit the near-term investment case.

The stock currently carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). It has a Value Score of D, Growth Score of D and Momentum Score of D, along with a VGM Score of F. These ratings suggest that Hilton does not presently screen favorably across the major investment styles, despite its operating momentum.

Shopify čeká silný růst tržeb, marže ale slábnou
SHOP Shopify

Key Takeaways Shopify expects Q2 revenue growth in the high-20% range, supported by broad-based GMV gains.Payments, Shop Pay, B2B, offline commerce and enterprise wins are expected to drive Shopify's growth.Shopify faces margin pressure from revenue mix, rising AI costs, credit losses and a premium valuation. Shopify (SHOP - Free Report) is set to report second-quarter 2026 results on Aug. 5.

For the to-be-reported quarter, Shopify expects revenue growth in the high-20% range year over year.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues is currently pegged at $3.43 billion, suggesting growth of 28.11% from the year-ago quarter’s reported figure.

The consensus mark for earnings is pegged at 39 cents per share, unchanged over the past 30 days and indicating 11.43% growth from the figure reported in the year-ago quarter.

Consensus Estimate Trend

SHOP’s earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate in two of the trailing four quarters, matched once and missed once, the earnings surprise being 7.38%, on average.

Let’s see how things have shaped up prior to this announcement.

Key Factors to Note for SHOP’s Q2Shopify’s second-quarter 2026 results are expected to have benefited from sustained growth in Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) across merchant sizes, geographies and sales channels. Continued strength in North America and Europe, rising international adoption and balanced contributions from new merchants and same-store sales are likely to have supported revenues. Momentum among large merchants, including enterprise brands migrating from legacy commerce systems, is also expected to have driven Shopify Plus subscriptions, variable platform fees and merchant solutions revenues.

Higher adoption of Shopify Payments and Shop Pay is likely to have been another major growth driver. In the first quarter, Shopify Payments processed $67 billion of GMV, up 41% year over year, while penetration expanded 3% to 67%. Shop Pay GMV grew 59%, supported by more than 70% growth outside the United States. Continued payments adoption in recently entered European markets, Mexico and other international regions is expected to have boosted Merchant Solutions revenues in the to-be-reported quarter.

Shopify’s expanding omnichannel portfolio is also expected to have aided growth. Offline GMV increased 33% in the first quarter, while B2B GMV surged 80%, reflecting demand for unified online, physical retail and wholesale capabilities. The Shop app, which recorded 70% GMV growth, and Shop Campaigns are likely to have supported customer discovery and merchant sales. AI-driven traffic to Shopify stores increased eightfold, while orders originating from AI-powered searches rose nearly 13-fold, indicating growing contributions from emerging shopping channels.

However, Shopify’s second-quarter profitability is expected to have faced pressure from the faster growth of lower-margin Merchant Solutions revenues compared with Subscription Solutions revenues. Shopify projected gross profit dollar growth in the mid-20% range, below expected revenue growth in the high 20s, primarily due to revenue mix and continued payments strength. Moreover, rising technology and credit-related costs might also have weighed on margins.

Increased merchant use of Sidekick is expected to have driven higher large-language-model infrastructure expenses, a trend Shopify expects to continue. Transaction and loan losses increased to $116 million in the first quarter from $75 million in the year-ago quarter, reflecting expansion of Shopify Capital, credit and payments products. The allowance for uncollectible loans also rose as the company expanded its merchant financing portfolio, increasing potential exposure to merchant defaults. Moreover, reduced foreign-exchange support is likely to have been headwind.

SHOP Shares Outperform SectorSHOP shares have dropped 27.2% year to date (YTD), underperforming the Zacks Computer & Technology sector’s rise of 11.7%.

Shopify has outperformed peers including Wix.com (WIX - Free Report) and Commerce.com (CMRC - Free Report) but lagged Amazon (AMZN - Free Report) . YTD, Amazon shares have returned 17.6% while Wix.com and Commerce.com shares have dropped 47% and 24%, respectively.

Moreover, the Value Score of F suggests a stretched valuation for Shopify at this moment.

SHOP stock is trading at a premium with a forward 12-month price/sales of 9.11X compared with the sector’s 6.28X, Amazon’s 3.26X, Wix.com’s 1.33X and Commerce.com’s 0.72X.

AI Push, Expanding International Footprint to Aid SHOPShopify’s long-term prospects are supported by its expanding role across the entire commerce lifecycle. The company is moving beyond storefront and checkout services toward product discovery, advertising, payments, financing, B2B, point-of-sale and international commerce. The company’s unified platform allows merchants to manage online, offline, wholesale and cross-border operations through a single system. The number of merchants generating more than $100 million in annual GMV has nearly doubled over the past two years, highlighting Shopify’s growing appeal to large enterprises.

AI represents another significant long-term opportunity. Sidekick’s weekly active merchant base increased roughly fourfold year over year, with merchants using it to create applications, automate workflows and modify storefronts. Shopify’s catalog contains more than one billion structured products with current pricing and inventory information, enabling AI platforms to surface more relevant products. Integrations with ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google and Meta, along with Shopify’s role in developing the Universal Commerce Protocol, should strengthen its position in agentic commerce.

International expansion and deeper monetization of Shopify Payments offer additional upside. Shopify currently provides Payments in 39 countries and sees opportunities to increase penetration in existing regions and launch in additional markets. Localization through regional currencies, payment methods, merchant financing and language recommendations should reduce barriers to adoption. Strong growth in B2B, Shop Pay, the Shop app and offline commerce could further increase the number of services used by each merchant and strengthen Shopify’s recurring revenue base.

However, Shopify operates in a highly competitive and rapidly evolving commerce market. The company must continue investing in AI, payments, security, infrastructure and international localization to remain competitive against commerce platforms, marketplaces and specialized software providers. Increasing reliance on AI also creates uncertainty regarding infrastructure costs, product adoption and the ability to generate returns sufficient to offset growing model-compute expenses.

ConclusionShopify’s second-quarter results are likely to reflect robust GMV growth, increasing adoption of Shopify Payments and Shop Pay, enterprise merchant wins and continued momentum across B2B, offline and international commerce. AI-driven tools and emerging shopping channels provide additional growth opportunities.

Shopify currently has a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), which implies that investors should start accumulating the stock ahead of the second-quarter earnings. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

IBM po výsledcích za 2. čtvrtletí roste i přes slabší tržby
IBM IBM
FMP Stock News 78
Original source text
Key Takeaways IBM posted 1% revenue growth as software and financing offset weakness in its infrastructure business. IBM views low-single-digit infrastructure unit growth and stronger AI adoption to support 2026 performance. ETFs like SPDG hold significant IBM positions, offering diversified exposure to the tech company. Shares of International Business Machines (IBM - Free Report) inched up 0.4% on July 23, immediately after its weaker-than-expected second-quarter 2026 results. Despite missing Wall Street estimates on both revenues and earnings, the stock has continued its recovery, gaining 8.7% since the results were reported.

This resilient price action indicates that the sell-off following IBM's mid-July preliminary earnings release had already priced in the worst-case scenario, clearing the way for a relief rally once official numbers were delivered.

Looking ahead, IBM expects to deliver 100 basis points of operating pretax margin expansion, with productivity more than offsetting the revenue-related headwinds. IBM also continues to project that free cash flow will increase approximately $1 billion.

While IBM continues to see strong underlying demand in subscription and consumption-based software, its transactional revenues have been performing poorly owing to the shift in buying patterns. Notably, IBM’s transactional revenues have been declining lately because enterprise clients temporarily shifted capital budgets toward scarce AI hardware, causing delays in high-margin mainframe and transaction-processing software orders.

Amid this backdrop of transactional volatility, investors seeking exposure to IBM’s long-term enterprise AI momentum, without absorbing single-stock earnings risk, may prefer a basket strategy via Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) heavily weighted in the tech giant.

But before suggesting those ETFs, let us delve a bit deeper into IBM’s second-quarter results to assess the company’s performance across other metrics.

A Closer Look at IBM’s Q2 EarningsIBM’s second-quarter adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $2.93 came in line with the Zacks Consensus Estimate, while its revenues missed the consensus mark by a whisker.

The company delivered revenue growth of 1%, while its operating margin (pre-tax) expanded 30 basis points (bps).

Segment-wise, the company delivered solid revenue growth in its software and financing businesses, whereas its infrastructure unit posted a 7% slump in the top line.  Poor performance of its Z application primarily hurt the infrastructure business segment.

In response to tight infrastructure supply, IBM has been strengthening its supply chain throughout the first half of the year. This proactive move positions the company to meet robust second-half customer demand in its Infrastructure unit.

As of the end of the second quarter, the company generated net cash from operating activities of $2.6 billion, up $0.9 billion year over year.

However, IBM's free cash flow went down $0.3 billion year over year to $2.5 billion. The company returned $3.2 billion to shareholders in the form of dividends through the first half of 2026.

Looking ahead, IBM expects rapid uptake for its latest AI tools, with almost 50% of z17 clients already adopting the Spyre Accelerator and watsonx Code Assistant for Z users expanding MIPS workload capacity three times faster than their peers.

For its infrastructure business, the company expects revenues to grow by low single digits in 2026, driven by growth in Distributed Infrastructure and continued strong program-to-program performance in IBM Z through the second half of 2026.
