Blue Owl Capital Inc. (OWL) Reports Next Week: What You Should Expect
OWL Blue Owl Capital
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Wall Street expects flat earnings compared to the year-ago quarter on higher revenues when Blue Owl Capital Inc. (OWL - Free Report) reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. While this widely-known consensus outlook is important in gauging the company's earnings picture, a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.

The earnings report, which is expected to be released on July 30, might help the stock move higher if these key numbers are better than expectations. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.

While the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call, it's worth handicapping the probability of a positive EPS surprise.

Zacks Consensus EstimateThis company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $0.21 per share in its upcoming report, which represents no change from the year-ago quarter.

Revenues are expected to be $687.25 million, up 6.4% from the year-ago quarter.

Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 0.75% lower over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.

Investors should keep in mind that the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts may not always get reflected in the aggregate change.

Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise

Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. This insight is at the core of our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction).

The Zacks Earnings ESP compares the Most Accurate Estimate to the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the quarter; the Most Accurate Estimate is a more recent version of the Zacks Consensus EPS estimate. The idea here is that analysts revising their estimates right before an earnings release have the latest information, which could potentially be more accurate than what they and others contributing to the consensus had predicted earlier.

Thus, a positive or negative Earnings ESP reading theoretically indicates the likely deviation of the actual earnings from the consensus estimate. However, the model's predictive power is significant for positive ESP readings only.

A positive Earnings ESP is a strong predictor of an earnings beat, particularly when combined with a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold). Our research shows that stocks with this combination produce a positive surprise nearly 70% of the time, and a solid Zacks Rank actually increases the predictive power of Earnings ESP.

Please note that a negative Earnings ESP reading is not indicative of an earnings miss. Our research shows that it is difficult to predict an earnings beat with any degree of confidence for stocks with negative Earnings ESP readings and/or Zacks Rank of 4 (Sell) or 5 (Strong Sell).

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Blue Owl Capital? For Blue Owl Capital, the Most Accurate Estimate is lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bearish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -0.61%.

On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #4.

So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Blue Owl Capital will beat the consensus EPS estimate.

Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.

For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Blue Owl Capital would post earnings of $0.19 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.19, delivering no surprise.

Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates just once.

Bottom LineAn earnings beat or miss may not be the sole basis for a stock moving higher or lower. Many stocks end up losing ground despite an earnings beat due to other factors that disappoint investors. Similarly, unforeseen catalysts help a number of stocks gain despite an earnings miss.

That said, betting on stocks that are expected to beat earnings expectations does increase the odds of success. This is why it's worth checking a company's Earnings ESP and Zacks Rank ahead of its quarterly release. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.

Blue Owl Capital doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

Why BorgWarner (BWA) is a Top Value Stock for the Long-Term
BWA BorgWarner
FMP Stock News
Original source text
For new and old investors, taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals. Zacks Premium provides lots of different ways to do both.

The research service features daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, full access to the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens, all of which will help you become a smarter, more confident investor.

Zacks Premium includes access to the Zacks Style Scores as well.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores is a unique set of guidelines that rates stocks based on three popular investing types, and were developed as complementary indicators for the Zacks Rank. This combination helps investors choose securities with the highest chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.

Based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics, each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F. The better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform; an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on.

The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:

Value ScoreFinding good stocks at good prices, and discovering which companies are trading under their true value, are what value investors like to focus on. So, the Value Style Score takes into account ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and a host of other multiples to highlight the most attractive and discounted stocks.

Growth ScoreGrowth investors are more concerned with a stock's future prospects, and the overall financial health and strength of a company. Thus, the Growth Style Score analyzes characteristics like projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks that will see sustainable growth over time.

Momentum ScoreMomentum trading is all about taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook, and these investors live by the saying "the trend is your friend." The Momentum Style Score can pinpoint good times to build a position in a stock, using factors like one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates.

VGM ScoreWhat if you like to use all three types of investing? The VGM Score is a combination of all Style Scores, making it one of the most comprehensive indicators to use with the Zacks Rank. It rates each stock on their combined weighted styles, which helps narrow down the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum.

How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank The Zacks Rank, which is a proprietary stock-rating model, employs earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings expectations, to make building a winning portfolio easier.

It's highly successful, with #1 (Strong Buy) stocks producing an unmatched +23.94% average annual return since 1988. That's more than double the S&P 500. But because of the large number of stocks we rate, there are over 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, plus another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.

With more than 800 top-rated stocks to choose from, it can certainly feel overwhelming to pick the ones that are right for you and your investing journey.

That's where the Style Scores come in.

To maximize your returns, you want to buy stocks with the highest probability of success. This means picking stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B. If you find yourself looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, make sure they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.

The direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should always be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy, since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank.

A stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, for instance, even one with Scores of A and B, will still have a declining earnings forecast, and a greater chance its share price will fall too.

Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

Stock to Watch: BorgWarner (BWA - Free Report) BorgWarner Inc. is a global product leader in clean and efficient technology solutions for combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles. Its products are designed to improve vehicle performance, propulsion efficiency, stability and air quality. The company manufactures and sells these products worldwide, primarily to OEMs of light vehicles, and also supplies OEMs of commercial vehicles and off-highway vehicles. BorgWarner also sells certain products to tier-one vehicle systems suppliers and into the aftermarket.

BWA is a #3 (Hold) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of A.

It also boasts a Value Style Score of A thanks to attractive valuation metrics like a forward P/E ratio of 12.44; value investors should take notice.

Two analysts revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days for fiscal 2026. The Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.00 to $5.16 per share. BWA boasts an average earnings surprise of +11.1%.

With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Value and VGM Style Scores, BWA should be on investors' short list.

Darling Ingredients (DAR) Earnings Expected to Grow: What to Know Ahead of Next Week's Release
DAR Darling Ingredients
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Wall Street expects a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when Darling Ingredients (DAR - Free Report) reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. While this widely-known consensus outlook is important in gauging the company's earnings picture, a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.

The stock might move higher if these key numbers top expectations in the upcoming earnings report, which is expected to be released on July 30. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.

While management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call will mostly determine the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations, it's worth having a handicapping insight into the odds of a positive EPS surprise.

Zacks Consensus EstimateThis producer of natural ingredients from edible and inedible bionutrients is expected to post quarterly earnings of $1.45 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +1511.1%.

Revenues are expected to be $1.8 billion, up 21.8% from the year-ago quarter.

Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 14.25% higher over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.

Investors should keep in mind that an aggregate change may not always reflect the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts.

Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise

Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. Our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) -- has this insight at its core.

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Darling? For Darling, the Most Accurate Estimate is the same as the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that there are no recent analyst views which differ from what have been considered to derive the consensus estimate. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of 0%.

On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.

So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Darling will beat the consensus EPS estimate.

Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.

For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Darling would post earnings of $0.56 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.83, delivering a surprise of +48.21%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates two times.

Darling doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

Expected Results of an Industry PlayerAnother stock from the Zacks Food - Miscellaneous industry, Mondelez (MDLZ - Free Report) , is soon expected to post earnings of $0.67 per share for the quarter ended June 2026. This estimate indicates a year-over-year change of -8.2%. Revenues for the quarter are expected to be $9.21 billion, up 2.5% from the year-ago quarter.

The consensus EPS estimate for Mondelez has been revised 6.8% lower over the last 30 days to the current level. However, a higher Most Accurate Estimate has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +0.97%.

When combined with a Zacks Rank of #3 (Hold), this Earnings ESP indicates that Mondelez will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate. The company beat consensus EPS estimates in each of the trailing four quarters.

Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue?Analysts often consider to what extent a company has been able to match consensus estimates in the past while calculating their estimates for its future earnings. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.

For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Martin Marietta would post earnings of $1.76 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.93, delivering a surprise of +9.66%.

Over the last 30 days, the consensus EPS estimate for Vulcan has been revised 0.6% down to the current level. Nevertheless, the company now has an Earnings ESP of -0.89%, reflecting a lower Most Accurate Estimate.

PLNT Deadline Alert: SueWallSt Reminds Planet Fitness, Inc. (PLNT) Investors of Securities Class Action Deadline on September 14, 2026
PLNT Planet Fitness
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Planet Fitness allegedly used risk disclosures and investor communications that failed to identify specific marketing and pricing problems already affecting net joins, Black Card rollout assumptions, and 2026 guidance.

, /PRNewswire/ -- SueWallSt alerts investors in Planet Fitness, Inc. (NYSE: PLNT) that a securities class action has been filed on behalf of shareholders who purchased Planet Fitness securities between November 6, 2025 and May 6, 2026. Submit your information. You may also contact Joseph E. Levi, Esq. at [email protected] or (888) SueWallSt.

PLNT declined from $63.96 per share on May 6, 2026 to $44.01 per share on May 7, 2026, a $19.95 per-share drop of approximately 31.19%. LEAD PLAINTIFF DEADLINE: September 14, 2026.

Alleged Disclosure Adequacy Issues in Planet Fitness Risk Statements

The complaint challenges whether Planet Fitness' public statements and risk disclosures adequately informed investors that its national marketing campaign allegedly was not resonating with core fitness beginners and casual gym-goers. As alleged, the Company's communications created the impression that management possessed reliable information supporting the Black Card price rollout, projected membership growth, and sales targets.

The action claims those statements omitted that the campaign allegedly was "actively intimidating" the Company's target demographic during the peak first-quarter sign-up period. Planet Fitness later announced reduced 2026 guidance, withdrew its three-year growth algorithm, and paused the planned national Black Card price increase.

Disclosure Gaps Alleged in Planet Fitness SEC and Investor Communications

The complaint contends investors were not specifically told that net member joins were facing internal headwinds during the most important seasonal sign-up period. The action asserts that the Black Card price increase to $29.99 depended on assumptions that were allegedly not achievable under current marketing conditions. The lawsuit claims the three-year growth algorithm relied on rate and volume expectations that were allegedly undermined before the May 7, 2026 update. Plaintiffs allege the Company minimized risks tied to seasonality, weather, macroeconomic conditions, and customer acquisition while omitting specific marketing problems. Why the May 7 Guidance Reset Matters to Shareholders

On May 7, 2026, Planet Fitness updated 2026 expectations, including system-wide same-club sales growth of approximately 1%, down from 4% to 5%; revenue growth of approximately 7%, down from approximately 9%; adjusted EBITDA growth of approximately 6%, down from approximately 10%; and adjusted diluted EPS growth of approximately 4%, down from 9% to 10%.

The lawsuit asserts claims under Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Exchange Act and Rule 10b-5. The filing states that investors purchased PLNT shares at allegedly inflated prices before the disclosure corrected prior alleged omissions.

"Generic risk factor language cannot substitute for disclosing specific, known problems that are already affecting a company's operations. Here, investors should review whether Planet Fitness' disclosures adequately described the alleged marketing and pricing risks that preceded the $19.95 per-share decline." -- Joseph E. Levi, Esq.

Frequently Asked Questions About the PLNT Lawsuit

Q: What specific misstatements does the PLNT lawsuit allege? A: The complaint alleges Planet Fitness made materially false or misleading statements regarding the effectiveness of its marketing strategy, its ability to drive membership growth, the planned Black Card price increase, and its financial targets during the Class Period. Q: Who are the defendants named in the PLNT lawsuit? A: The complaint names Planet Fitness, Inc. and individual defendants Colleen Keating, Chief Executive Officer and Director, and Jay Stasz, former Chief Financial Officer.

Q: What is a lead plaintiff and why does it matter? A: A lead plaintiff is the investor appointed by the court to represent the entire class. Lead plaintiffs are typically investors with significant documented losses. Being appointed does not increase individual recovery but gives direct oversight of how the case is run.

Q: What if I already sold my PLNT shares, can I still recover losses? A: Yes. Eligibility is based on when you purchased, not whether you still hold the shares. Investors who bought during the Class Period and sold at a loss may still be eligible to participate.

Q: What does it cost me to participate? A: There is no upfront cost to contact the firm. Securities class actions are generally handled on a pure contingency basis. No upfront fees, no retainer, and no out-of-pocket costs. Any attorneys' fees and expenses awarded to class counsel are subject to court approval.

Q: What if I live outside the United States? A: U.S. securities class actions generally cover purchases on U.S. exchanges regardless of the investor's country of residence.

Symbotic Inc. (SYM) is Attracting Investor Attention: Here is What You Should Know
SYM Symbotic
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Symbotic Inc. (SYM - Free Report) is one of the stocks most watched by Zacks.com visitors lately. So, it might be a good idea to review some of the factors that might affect the near-term performance of the stock.

Shares of this company have returned +7.7% over the past month versus the Zacks S&P 500 composite's +0.4% change. The Zacks Technology Services industry, to which SYMBOTIC INC belongs, has lost 4.7% over this period. Now the key question is: Where could the stock be headed in the near term?

While media releases or rumors about a substantial change in a company's business prospects usually make its stock 'trending' and lead to an immediate price change, there are always some fundamental facts that eventually dominate the buy-and-hold decision-making.

Earnings Estimate RevisionsHere at Zacks, we prioritize appraising the change in the projection of a company's future earnings over anything else. That's because we believe the present value of its future stream of earnings is what determines the fair value for its stock.

Our analysis is essentially based on how sell-side analysts covering the stock are revising their earnings estimates to take the latest business trends into account. When earnings estimates for a company go up, the fair value for its stock goes up as well. And when a stock's fair value is higher than its current market price, investors tend to buy the stock, resulting in its price moving upward. Because of this, empirical studies indicate a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and short-term stock price movements.

For the current quarter, SYMBOTIC INC is expected to post earnings of $0.12 per share, indicating a change of +340% from the year-ago quarter. The Zacks Consensus Estimate remained unchanged over the last 30 days.

The consensus earnings estimate of $0.5 for the current fiscal year indicates a year-over-year change of -72.5%. This estimate has remained unchanged over the last 30 days.

For the next fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $0.67 indicates a change of +34.5% from what SYMBOTIC INC is expected to report a year ago. Over the past month, the estimate has changed +6.3%.

With an impressive externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool -- the Zacks Rank -- is a more conclusive indicator of a stock's near-term price performance, as it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions. The size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, has resulted in a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) for SYMBOTIC INC.

The chart below shows the evolution of the company's forward 12-month consensus EPS estimate:

12 Month EPS

Revenue Growth ForecastWhile earnings growth is arguably the most superior indicator of a company's financial health, nothing happens as such if a business isn't able to grow its revenues. After all, it's nearly impossible for a company to increase its earnings for an extended period without increasing its revenues. So, it's important to know a company's potential revenue growth.

For SYMBOTIC INC, the consensus sales estimate for the current quarter of $714.76 million indicates a year-over-year change of +20.7%. For the current and next fiscal years, $2.79 billion and $3.62 billion estimates indicate +24.1% and +30% changes, respectively.

Last Reported Results and Surprise HistorySYMBOTIC INC reported revenues of $676.48 million in the last reported quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +23.1%. EPS of $0.44 for the same period compares with -$0.04 a year ago.

Compared to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $660.6 million, the reported revenues represent a surprise of +2.4%. The EPS surprise was +300%.

Over the last four quarters, SYMBOTIC INC surpassed consensus EPS estimates three times. The company topped consensus revenue estimates each time over this period.

ValuationNo investment decision can be efficient without considering a stock's valuation. Whether a stock's current price rightly reflects the intrinsic value of the underlying business and the company's growth prospects is an essential determinant of its future price performance.

While comparing the current values of a company's valuation multiples, such as price-to-earnings (P/E), price-to-sales (P/S), and price-to-cash flow (P/CF), with its own historical values helps determine whether its stock is fairly valued, overvalued, or undervalued, comparing the company relative to its peers on these parameters gives a good sense of the reasonability of the stock's price.

As part of the Zacks Style Scores system, the Zacks Value Style Score (which evaluates both traditional and unconventional valuation metrics) organizes stocks into five groups ranging from A to F (A is better than B; B is better than C; and so on), making it helpful in identifying whether a stock is overvalued, rightly valued, or temporarily undervalued.

SYMBOTIC INC is graded D on this front, indicating that it is trading at a premium to its peers. Click here to see the values of some of the valuation metrics that have driven this grade.

Bottom LineThe facts discussed here and much other information on Zacks.com might help determine whether or not it's worthwhile paying attention to the market buzz about SYMBOTIC INC. However, its Zacks Rank #3 does suggest that it may perform in line with the broader market in the near term.

Here's Why Equifax (EFX) is a Strong Growth Stock
EFX Equifax

It doesn't matter your age or experience: taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals for all investors. Luckily, Zacks Premium offers several different ways to do both.

The Zacks Style Scores, developed alongside the Zacks Rank, are complementary indicators that rate stocks based on three widely-followed investing methodologies; they also help investors pick stocks with the best chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.

Based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics, each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F. The better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform; an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on.

The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:

Value ScoreValue investors love finding good stocks at good prices, especially before the broader market catches on to a stock's true value. Utilizing ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and many other multiples, the Value Style Score identifies the most attractive and most discounted stocks.

Growth ScoreWhile good value is important, growth investors are more focused on a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score takes projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow into account to uncover stocks that will see long-term, sustainable growth.

Momentum ScoreMomentum traders and investors live by the saying "the trend is your friend." This investing style is all about taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Employing factors like one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, the Momentum Style Score can indicate favorable times to build a position in high-momentum stocks.

VGM ScoreIf you like to use all three kinds of investing, then the VGM Score is for you. It's a combination of all Style Scores, and is an important indicator to use with the Zacks Rank. The VGM Score rates each stock on their shared weighted styles, narrowing down the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum.

How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank The Zacks Rank, which is a proprietary stock-rating model, employs earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings expectations, to make building a winning portfolio easier.

#1 (Strong Buy) stocks have produced an unmatched +23.94% average annual return since 1988, which is more than double the S&P 500's performance over the same time frame. However, the Zacks Rank examines a ton of stocks, and there can be more than 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, and another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.

This totals more than 800 top-rated stocks, and it can be overwhelming to try and pick the best stocks for you and your portfolio.

That's where the Style Scores come in.

To have the best chance of big returns, you'll want to always consider stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B, which will give you the highest probability of success. If you're looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, it's important they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.

The direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should always be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy, since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank.

Here's an example: a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one with Style Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings outlook, and a bigger chance its share price will decrease too.

Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

Stock to Watch: Equifax (EFX - Free Report) Equifax Inc. is a global data, analytics and technology company. It provides information solutions and human resources business process outsourcing services for businesses, governments and consumers. Its services are based on comprehensive databases of consumer and business information derived from numerous sources, including credit, financial assets, telecommunications and utility payments, employment, income, demographic and marketing data.

EFX is a #3 (Hold) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of B.

Additionally, the company could be a top pick for growth investors. EFX has a Growth Style Score of B, forecasting year-over-year earnings growth of 11.9% for the current fiscal year.

Three analysts revised their earnings estimate higher in the last 60 days for fiscal 2026, while the Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.00 to $8.56 per share. EFX also boasts an average earnings surprise of +5%.

With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Growth and VGM Style Scores, EFX should be on investors' short list.

Wall Street Analysts Believe TE Connectivity (TEL) Could Rally 26.98%: Here's is How to Trade
TEL TE Connectivity
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Shares of TE Connectivity (TEL - Free Report) have gained 0.9% over the past four weeks to close the last trading session at $200.28, but there could still be a solid upside left in the stock if short-term price targets of Wall Street analysts are any indication. Going by the price targets, the mean estimate of $254.32 indicates a potential upside of 27%.

The mean estimate comprises 19 short-term price targets with a standard deviation of $28.56. While the lowest estimate of $206.00 indicates a 2.9% increase from the current price level, the most optimistic analyst expects the stock to surge 49.8% to reach $300.00. It's very important to note the standard deviation here, as it helps understand the variability of the estimates. The smaller the standard deviation, the greater the agreement among analysts.

While the consensus price target is highly sought after by investors, the ability and unbiasedness of analysts in setting price targets have long been questionable. And investors making investment decisions solely based on this tool would arguably do themselves a disservice.

However, an impressive consensus price target is not the only factor that indicates a potential upside in TEL. This view is strengthened by the agreement among analysts that the company will report better earnings than what they estimated earlier. Though a positive trend in earnings estimate revisions doesn't give any idea as to how much the stock could surge, it has proven effective in predicting an upside.

Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise

Here's What You May Not Know About Analysts' Price TargetsAccording to researchers at several universities across the globe, a price target is one of many pieces of information about a stock that misleads investors far more often than it guides. In fact, empirical research shows that price targets set by several analysts, irrespective of the extent of agreement, rarely indicate where the price of a stock could actually be heading.

While Wall Street analysts have deep knowledge of a company's fundamentals and the sensitivity of its business to economic and industry issues, many of them tend to set overly optimistic price targets. Are you wondering why?

They usually do that to drum up interest in shares of companies that their firms either have existing business relationships with or are looking to be associated with. In other words, business incentives of firms covering a stock often result in inflated price targets set by analysts.

However, a tight clustering of price targets, which is represented by a low standard deviation, indicates that analysts have a high degree of agreement about the direction and magnitude of a stock's price movement. While that doesn't necessarily mean the stock will hit the average price target, it could be a good starting point for further research aimed at identifying the potential fundamental driving forces.

That said, while investors should not entirely ignore price targets, making an investment decision solely based on them could lead to disappointing ROI. So, price targets should always be treated with a high degree of skepticism.

Here's Why There Could be Plenty of Upside Left in TELAnalysts' growing optimism over the company's earnings prospects, as indicated by strong agreement among them in revising EPS estimates higher, could be a legitimate reason to expect an upside in the stock. That's because empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements.

For the current year, one estimate has moved higher over the last 30 days compared to no negative revision. As a result, the Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased 0.1%.

Moreover, TEL currently has a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), which means it is in the top 20% of more than 4,000 stocks that we rank based on four factors related to earnings estimates. Given an impressive externally-audited track record, this is a more conclusive indication of the stock's potential upside in the near term. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>> .

Therefore, while the consensus price target may not be a reliable indicator of how much TEL could gain, the direction of price movement it implies does appear to be a good guide.

Eastman Chemical (EMN) Reports Next Week: Wall Street Expects Earnings Growth
EMN Eastman Chemical Company
FMP Stock News
Original source text
The market expects Eastman Chemical (EMN - Free Report) to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook is important in assessing the company's earnings picture, but a powerful factor that might influence its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.

Zacks Consensus EstimateThis specialty chemicals maker is expected to post quarterly earnings of $1.80 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +12.5%.

Revenues are expected to be $2.37 billion, up 3.5% from the year-ago quarter.

Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 3.47% lower over the last 30 days to the current level.

How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Eastman Chemical? For Eastman Chemical, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +0.93%.

On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #4.

So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Eastman Chemical will beat the consensus EPS estimate.

Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.

For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Eastman Chemical would post earnings of $1.07 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.09, delivering a surprise of +1.87%.

Eastman Chemical doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

Stay on top of upcoming earnings announcements with the Zacks Earnings Calendar.

Here is What to Know Beyond Why Twilio Inc. (TWLO) is a Trending Stock
TWLO Twilio
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Twilio (TWLO - Free Report) is one of the stocks most watched by Zacks.com visitors lately. So, it might be a good idea to review some of the factors that might affect the near-term performance of the stock.

Over the past month, shares of this company have returned -2.6%, compared to the Zacks S&P 500 composite's +0.4% change. During this period, the Zacks Internet - Software industry, which Twilio falls in, has gained 7.3%. The key question now is: What could be the stock's future direction?

Although media reports or rumors about a significant change in a company's business prospects usually cause its stock to trend and lead to an immediate price change, there are always certain fundamental factors that ultimately drive the buy-and-hold decision.

Revisions to Earnings EstimatesHere at Zacks, we prioritize appraising the change in the projection of a company's future earnings over anything else. That's because we believe the present value of its future stream of earnings is what determines the fair value for its stock.

We essentially look at how sell-side analysts covering the stock are revising their earnings estimates to reflect the impact of the latest business trends. And if earnings estimates go up for a company, the fair value for its stock goes up. A higher fair value than the current market price drives investors' interest in buying the stock, leading to its price moving higher. This is why empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements.

For the current quarter, Twilio is expected to post earnings of $1.32 per share, indicating a change of +10.9% from the year-ago quarter. The Zacks Consensus Estimate has changed -1.5% over the last 30 days.

For the current fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $5.64 points to a change of +15.3% from the prior year. Over the last 30 days, this estimate has changed -0.8%.

For the next fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $6.53 indicates a change of +15.8% from what Twilio is expected to report a year ago. Over the past month, the estimate has changed -0.5%.

Having a strong externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool, the Zacks Rank, offers a more conclusive picture of a stock's price direction in the near term, since it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions. Due to the size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, Twilio is rated Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).

The chart below shows the evolution of the company's forward 12-month consensus EPS estimate:

12 Month EPS

Projected Revenue GrowthEven though a company's earnings growth is arguably the best indicator of its financial health, nothing much happens if it cannot raise its revenues. It's almost impossible for a company to grow its earnings without growing its revenue for long periods. Therefore, knowing a company's potential revenue growth is crucial.

In the case of Twilio, the consensus sales estimate of $1.42 billion for the current quarter points to a year-over-year change of +15.8%. The $5.81 billion and $6.36 billion estimates for the current and next fiscal years indicate changes of +14.6% and +9.6%, respectively.

Last Reported Results and Surprise HistoryTwilio reported revenues of $1.41 billion in the last reported quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +20%. EPS of $1.5 for the same period compares with $1.14 a year ago.

Compared to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.34 billion, the reported revenues represent a surprise of +4.93%. The EPS surprise was +18.11%.

The company beat consensus EPS estimates in each of the trailing four quarters. The company topped consensus revenue estimates each time over this period.

ValuationWithout considering a stock's valuation, no investment decision can be efficient. In predicting a stock's future price performance, it's crucial to determine whether its current price correctly reflects the intrinsic value of the underlying business and the company's growth prospects.

Comparing the current value of a company's valuation multiples, such as its price-to-earnings (P/E), price-to-sales (P/S), and price-to-cash flow (P/CF), to its own historical values helps ascertain whether its stock is fairly valued, overvalued, or undervalued, whereas comparing the company relative to its peers on these parameters gives a good sense of how reasonable its stock price is.

The Zacks Value Style Score (part of the Zacks Style Scores system), which pays close attention to both traditional and unconventional valuation metrics to grade stocks from A to F (an A is better than a B; a B is better than a C; and so on), is pretty helpful in identifying whether a stock is overvalued, rightly valued, or temporarily undervalued.

Twilio is graded F on this front, indicating that it is trading at a premium to its peers. Click here to see the values of some of the valuation metrics that have driven this grade.

ConclusionThe facts discussed here and much other information on Zacks.com might help determine whether or not it's worthwhile paying attention to the market buzz about Twilio. However, its Zacks Rank #2 does suggest that it may outperform the broader market in the near term.

Budování AI železnic?
AMZN Amazon FB Meta Platforms GOOGL Alphabet GS Goldman Sachs
Patria Stock News
Original source text

A řadou kombinací těchto dvou možností.

Tedy návratnosti toho, co hypercaleři nakupují a budují.

Wall Street Analysts Predict a 93.63% Upside in Archer Aviation (ACHR): Here's What You Should Know
ACHR Archer Aviation
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Archer Aviation Inc. (ACHR - Free Report) closed the last trading session at $5.18, gaining 2.6% over the past four weeks, but there could be plenty of upside left in the stock if short-term price targets set by Wall Street analysts are any guide. The mean price target of $10.03 indicates a 93.6% upside potential.

The mean estimate comprises 10 short-term price targets with a standard deviation of $4. While the lowest estimate of $4.50 indicates a 13.1% decline from the current price level, the most optimistic analyst expects the stock to surge 247.5% to reach $18.00.

However, an impressive consensus price target is not the only factor that indicates a potential upside in ACHR.

Why ACHR Could Witness a Solid UpsideAnalysts' growing optimism over the company's earnings prospects, as indicated by strong agreement among them in revising EPS estimates higher, could be a legitimate reason to expect an upside in the stock. That's because empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements.

For the current year, one estimate has moved higher over the last 30 days compared to no negative revision. As a result, the Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased 5.2%.

Moreover, ACHR currently has a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), which means it is in the top 20% of more than 4,000 stocks that we rank based on four factors related to earnings estimates. Given an impressive externally-audited track record, this is a more conclusive indication of the stock's potential upside in the near term. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>> .

Therefore, while the consensus price target may not be a reliable indicator of how much ACHR could gain, the direction of price movement it implies does appear to be a good guide.

There are no easy answers to this key question, but one reliable measure that can help investors address this is the company's earnings outlook. Not only does this include current consensus earnings expectations for the coming quarter(s), but also how these expectations have changed lately.

Empirical research shows a strong correlation between near-term stock movements and trends in earnings estimate revisions. Investors can track such revisions by themselves or rely on a tried-and-tested rating tool like the Zacks Rank, which has an impressive track record of harnessing the power of earnings estimate revisions.

Ahead of this earnings release, the estimate revisions trend for Harley-Davidson was mixed. While the magnitude and direction of estimate revisions could change following the company's just-released earnings report, the current status translates into a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) for the stock. So, the shares are expected to perform in line with the market in the near future. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

It will be interesting to see how estimates for the coming quarters and the current fiscal year change in the days ahead. The current consensus EPS estimate is $0.50 on $1.05 billion in revenues for the coming quarter and $0.39 on $3.72 billion in revenues for the current fiscal year.

Investors should be mindful of the fact that the outlook for the industry can have a material impact on the performance of the stock as well. In terms of the Zacks Industry Rank, Automotive - Domestic is currently in the top 39% of the 250 plus Zacks industries. Our research shows that the top 50% of the Zacks-ranked industries outperform the bottom 50% by a factor of more than 2 to 1.

Why HealthEquity (HQY) is a Top Growth Stock for the Long-Term
HQY HealthEquity
FMP Stock News
Original source text
For new and old investors, taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals. Zacks Premium provides lots of different ways to do both.

The research service features daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, full access to the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens, all of which will help you become a smarter, more confident investor.

Zacks Premium also includes the Zacks Style Scores.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores is a unique set of guidelines that rates stocks based on three popular investing types, and were developed as complementary indicators for the Zacks Rank. This combination helps investors choose securities with the highest chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.

Each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics. Just like in school, an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on -- that means the better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform.

The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:

Value ScoreFor value investors, it's all about finding good stocks at good prices, and discovering which companies are trading under their true value before the broader market catches on. The Value Style Score utilizes ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and a host of other multiples to help pick out the most attractive and discounted stocks.

Growth ScoreWhile good value is important, growth investors are more focused on a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score takes projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow into account to uncover stocks that will see long-term, sustainable growth.

VGM ScoreIf you want a combination of all three Style Scores, then the VGM Score will be your friend. It rates each stock on their combined weighted styles, helping you find the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum. It's also one of the best indicators to use with the Zacks Rank.

How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank A proprietary stock-rating model, the Zacks Rank utilizes the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings outlook, to help investors create a successful portfolio.

This totals more than 800 top-rated stocks, and it can be overwhelming to try and pick the best stocks for you and your portfolio.

That's where the Style Scores come in.

As mentioned above, the Scores are designed to work with the Zacks Rank, so any change to a company's earnings outlook should be a deciding factor when picking which stocks to buy.

For instance, a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one that boasts Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings forecast, and a much greater likelihood its share price will decline as well.

Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

Stock to Watch: HealthEquity (HQY - Free Report) Draper, UT-headquartered HealthEquity provides integrated solutions for healthcare account management, health reimbursement arrangement and flexible spending accounts for health plans, insurance companies and third-party administrators in the United States.

HQY is a #3 (Hold) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of B.

Additionally, the company could be a top pick for growth investors. HQY has a Growth Style Score of A, forecasting year-over-year earnings growth of 17.8% for the current fiscal year.

For fiscal 2027, six analysts revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days, and the Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.10 to $4.71 per share. HQY boasts an average earnings surprise of +12%.

With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Growth and VGM Style Scores, HQY should be on investors' short list.

Is the Options Market Predicting a Spike in Clean Harbors Stock?
CLH Clean Harbors
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Investors in Clean Harbors, Inc. (CLH - Free Report) need to pay close attention to the stock based on moves in the options market lately. That is because the Aug. 21, 2026 $330 Call had some of the highest implied volatility of all equity options today.

What is Implied Volatility?Implied volatility shows how much movement the market is expecting in the future. Options with high levels of implied volatility suggest that investors in the underlying stocks are expecting a big move in one direction or the other. It could also mean there is an event coming up soon that may cause a big rally or a huge sell-off. However, implied volatility is only one piece of the puzzle when putting together an options trading strategy.

What do the Analysts Think?Clearly, options traders are pricing in a big move for Clean Harbors shares, but what is the fundamental picture for the company? Currently, Clean Harbors is a Zacks Rank #2 (Hold) in the Waste Removal Services industry that ranks in the Top 38% of our Zacks Industry Rank. Over the last 30 days, one analyst has increased the earnings estimates for the current quarter, while none dropped the estimates. The net effect has taken our Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current quarter from $2.70 per share to $2.73 in that period.

Given the way analysts feel about Clean Harbors right now, this huge implied volatility could mean there’s a trade developing. Oftentimes, options traders look for options with high levels of implied volatility to sell premium. This is a strategy many seasoned traders use because it captures decay. At expiration, the hope for these traders is that the underlying stock does not move as much as originally expected

Are Investors Undervaluing Henry Schein (HSIC) Right Now?
HSIC Henry Schein
FMP Stock News
Original source text
While the proven Zacks Rank places an emphasis on earnings estimates and estimate revisions to find strong stocks, we also know that investors tend to develop their own individual strategies. With this in mind, we are always looking at value, growth, and momentum trends to discover great companies.

Of these, perhaps no stock market trend is more popular than value investing, which is a strategy that has proven to be successful in all sorts of market environments. Value investors use a variety of methods, including tried-and-true valuation metrics, to find these stocks.

Zacks has developed the innovative Style Scores system to highlight stocks with specific traits. For example, value investors will be interested in stocks with great grades in the "Value" category. When paired with a high Zacks Rank, "A" grades in the Value category are among the strongest value stocks on the market today.

One company to watch right now is Henry Schein (HSIC - Free Report) . HSIC is currently sporting a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), as well as a Value grade of A. The stock is trading with a P/E ratio of 13.27, which compares to its industry's average of 16.89. HSIC's Forward P/E has been as high as 15.82 and as low as 12.57, with a median of 13.90, all within the past year.

Another valuation metric that we should highlight is HSIC's P/B ratio of 2.01. Investors use the P/B ratio to look at a stock's market value versus its book value, which is defined as total assets minus total liabilities. This stock's P/B looks solid versus its industry's average P/B of 5.38. Within the past 52 weeks, HSIC's P/B has been as high as 2.53 and as low as 1.92, with a median of 2.16.

Value investors also use the P/S ratio. The P/S ratio is calculated as price divided by sales. This is a popular metric because sales are harder to manipulate on an income statement, so they are often considered a better performance indicator. HSIC has a P/S ratio of 0.72. This compares to its industry's average P/S of 1.45.

Finally, investors will want to recognize that HSIC has a P/CF ratio of 11.89. This figure highlights a company's operating cash flow and can be used to find firms that are undervalued when considering their impressive cash outlook. HSIC's P/CF compares to its industry's average P/CF of 17.91. Within the past 12 months, HSIC's P/CF has been as high as 15.66 and as low as 10.92, with a median of 12.77.

These are only a few of the key metrics included in Henry Schein's strong Value grade, but they help show that the stock is likely undervalued right now. When factoring in the strength of its earnings outlook, HSIC looks like an impressive value stock at the moment.

Deliverect and SoundHound AI Partner to Turn Voice Into a Fully Automated Ordering Channel for Restaurants
SOUN SoundHound AI
FMP Stock News
Original source text
The integration creates a seamless, automated path from a customer's first voice interaction to kitchen fulfillment, across drive-thru, phone, kiosk, and in-car channels, in more than 100 languages.

, /PRNewswire/ -- Deliverect, the global restaurant technology platform serving more than 80,000 locations worldwide, today announced a partnership with SoundHound AI (Nasdaq: SOUN), a global leader in voice and agentic AI, to fully automate restaurant voice ordering from the moment a customer speaks to the moment the kitchen receives the order.

The integration connects SoundHound Smart Ordering directly to Deliverect's order and menu management platform. SoundHound's voice AI agents pull real-time menu and location data from Deliverect, capture orders flawlessly across every voice channel, and route them straight to kitchen fulfillment through Deliverect's certified POS integrations. Voice in, order out, with no manual re-entry, no handoff errors, and no added burden on restaurant teams.

Closing the gap between a customer's voice and the kitchen

Until now, the journey from a spoken order to the kitchen has involved staff, manual re-entry, and multiple points of failure. During peak hours, when teams are stretched thin, that fragility translates directly into lost revenue: missed or abandoned phone calls, order errors, and inconsistent experiences across drive-thru, phone, kiosk, and digital channels.

The partnership eliminates those failure points by turning the entire journey into a single automated loop. AI voice agents answer every call and capture every order, while menu accuracy is maintained in real time directly from Deliverect, with no manual updates needed across channels.

For operators, the outcomes are tangible: higher order capture rates with no missed calls, consistent upselling and limited-time-offer promotion across every ordering channel, faster throughput and reduced wait times, and staff freed up from answering phones to focus on cooking and taking care of guests in person.

Any market, any POS, no custom builds

Historically, one of the biggest obstacles to scaling voice ordering internationally has been the cost and complexity of building direct POS integrations market by market. Deliverect removes

that obstacle. With more than 550 POS integrations across over 50 countries, Smart Ordering can go live in any market, on virtually any POS, without custom development.

Combined with support for more than 100 languages, the partnership gives international restaurant groups a future-proof ordering infrastructure that scales across channels, markets, and languages, without rebuilding for every new touchpoint or region. As customer expectations shift toward voice-first and self-service experiences, operators running Deliverect and Smart Ordering are already there.

Mike Lauricella, VP of Channel Partnerships at SoundHound AI, said: "The future of restaurant hospitality relies on automation and convenience. Partnering with Deliverect allows us to deeply embed SoundHound's AI voice agents into the restaurant tech stack. By syncing critical menu and location data, our AI voice agents can handle order placement flawlessly, reducing front-of-house strain and delivering a seamless customer experience."

Don MacMillan, Head of Partnerships for the US and Canada at Deliverect, said: "Voice is the oldest ordering channel in the restaurant business, and until now it's been the least automated. This partnership changes that. By connecting SoundHound's AI voice agents directly to Deliverect, every spoken order, whether it comes through the drive-thru, a phone call, or a kiosk, flows straight into the kitchen with the same accuracy and speed as a digital order. For operators, that means no more missed calls, no more re-keying, and teams that can focus on hospitality instead of handsets. It's a major step toward the fully connected restaurant we're building with our partners."

SummaryIAMGOLD has transformed into a net cash, buyback-funding, Canadian-focused growth story, shedding its legacy risks and debt burden. The Essakane mine now underpins robust free cash flow and funds growth, while Côté Gold and Nelligan drive future upside in Canada.IAG trades at roughly 0.97x NAV, with fair value estimated at $15.50–$16.00 per share, implying meaningful upside from current levels.I rate IAG a Buy, with Q2 results (August 6) and the Côté-Gosselin expansion study as near-term catalysts for re-rating.Vitoria Holdings LLC/iStock via Getty Images

The 2026 Blueprint: 6 Stocks for a Brand New Portfolio
GEV-US GE Vernova
FMP Stock News

The era of frictionless software scaling has violently collided with physical reality. Capital is flowing out of technology names and into the hard assets, baseload power generation, and silicon foundries required to sustain the artificial intelligence supercycle.

Securing wealth over the next decade demands a pivot toward infrastructure moats, energy security, and absolute pricing power. Investors navigating this environment might consider leaving the pure software narrative behind and embracing organizations that control the physical economy. Building a portfolio in today's world requires a fresh blueprint built for a changing macroeconomic landscape.

Profit From the Physical Limits of ComputeThe AI trade is no longer about which application can capture the most users. The true bottleneck lies in the physical infrastructure required to keep hyperscale data centers from melting down.

Constructing a portfolio from square one means acknowledging that digital expansion is strictly bound by power grids and silicon foundries. Capitalizing on today's technological growth requires a focus on the foundational hardware and power systems that enable next-generation processing.

Breaking the Data Center MonopolyThe AI ecosystem refuses to be held hostage by a single vendor. Buying the top of a monopoly often means the easy upside is gone, but the ongoing buildout of compute power offers multiple entry points. Advanced Micro Devices NASDAQ: AMD has established itself as the leading multi-vendor data center alternative to NVIDIA NASDAQ: NVDA.

The recent deployment of the Microsoft Azure Helios platform validates AMD's silicon as a top-tier alternative. When hyperscalers commit multi-gigawatt capacity to these specific chips, it signals a permanent shift in procurement strategy.

AMD's revenue for the first quarter of 2026 hit $10.25 billion, climbing nearly 38% year-over-year. While the forward price-to-earnings ratio sits near 89, underlying supply chain insulation supports this premium.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company's NYSE: TSM ongoing geographic diversification into Arizona and Europe structurally de-risks silicon delivery against cross-strait geopolitical friction. This dynamic creates an evergreen tailwind for uninterrupted compute delivery, allowing Advanced Micro Devices to scale without the threat of overseas manufacturing disruptions.

Powering the Next Generation of ComputeRunning a modern digital revolution on a power grid designed in the 1970s is impossible. As technology giants purchase hundreds of thousands of next-generation GPUs, baseload power has become the ultimate constraint.

GE Vernova NYSE: GEV operates as the pure-play industrial juggernaut solving this grid capacity crisis. Generating $5.1 billion in free cash flow, GE Vernova sits on a $176 billion remaining performance obligation backlog.

Revenue rose 22% year-over-year in the second quarter of 2026 to $11.1 billion. Gas turbine output is scaling to 20 gigawatts annually, but the true growth trajectory lies in the small modular reactor development pipeline. Hyperscalers are actively pursuing on-site nuclear generation to secure zero-carbon power and bypass grid transmission delays.

Investors seeking to capitalize on the expansion of AI may find that the companies selling power infrastructure are more lucrative investments than those that are pursuing digital applications.

Hard Assets for a Fractured WorldGeopolitical peace dividends and frictionless global supply chains are remnants of the past. Drones, border surveillance technology, and regional energy disputes now dictate the flow of international capital.

A smart investment strategy today requires acknowledging that deglobalization is permanent. Hedging a portfolio against geopolitical instability and inflationary supply shocks means taking decisive positions in U.S. energy producers and the defense contractors that absorb large federal budgets.

Profiting From ProtectionWith new tariffs reshaping North American trade and conflicts disrupting international waters, national security mandates are absorbing immense federal funding. The iShares U.S. Aerospace & Defense ETF BATS: ITA manages over $13.5 billion in assets and provides blanket exposure to the prime contractors securing these vital government contracts.

A critical component of this investment thesis rests on international mandates.

The requirement that NATO countries adhere to a 2% gross domestic product defense spending floor guarantees a multi-year revenue backlog for the fund's underlying components.

Because multi-year Department of War contracts lock in revenue regardless of short-term legislative budget battles, these defense sector allocations remain highly insulated from consumer-level recessions and discretionary spending contractions.

The Ultimate Upstream Energy FortressThe transition to renewable energy remains highly inflationary and plagued by grid delays. Between tropical storms shutting down Gulf of Mexico production and military conflict creating supply shocks in the Strait of Hormuz, a premium on domestic energy production is a permanent fixture of the current economic landscape. ExxonMobil NYSE: XOM offers a fortress balance sheet and upstream cash flow that serve as direct hedges against these transit disruptions.

ExxonMobil generated $83.16 billion in first-quarter revenue and operates at a sub-$40-per-barrel breakeven cost in the Permian Basin. This metric proves cash flow insulation and yield safety regardless of cyclical crude volatility.

Holding a 2.7% dividend yield and trading at a trailing price-to-earnings ratio of 25, ExxonMobil provides income generation while insulating portfolios against persistent inflationary pressures. The integration of the Golden Pass liquefied natural gas export facility further optimizes upstream cash flows, solidifying ExxonMobil as a foundational hard asset holding.

Unbreakable Moats for a High-Rate MarketCapital costs money in a high-rate environment, and businesses operating without clear profitability are being aggressively repriced. Creating a resilient portfolio requires pivoting away from cash-burning enterprises and focusing strictly on durable financial moats.

Organizations that possess pricing power and irreplaceable physical logistics networks are positioned to thrive. The final pillar of a newly constructed portfolio relies on selecting stocks capable of passing input costs directly to consumers without sacrificing market share.

The Unrivaled Physical Logistics JuggernautWhile pure digital software providers face severe margin compression, Amazon NASDAQ: AMZN remains the ultimate hybrid, combining digital margin expansion with physical-world dominance.

Amazon Web Services revenue re-accelerated to 28% year-over-year growth, driven by substantial commitments to AI compute. However, the localized fulfillment network serves as an irreplaceable moat in a fractured global supply chain.

Amazon is projecting capital expenditures of $200 billion in 2026. This capital intensity creates a barrier to entry that competitors cannot replicate. This logistics infrastructure also provides unique antitrust insulation.

While digital advertising faces heavy regulatory scrutiny, localized fulfillment infrastructure remains virtually immune to breakups. The Amazon Business segment has reached a $60 billion annualized gross sales run rate, adding a high-margin recurring revenue channel that thrives even as smaller retailers are crushed by tariffs and shipping costs.

The VanEck Morningstar Wide Moat ETF BATS: MOAT targets companies with both sustainable competitive advantages and pricing power.

Managing over $11.5 billion in assets, the underlying methodology strictly screens out overvalued legacy weightings, providing a defensive mechanism against margin compression.

With an expense ratio of 0.47% and a solid one-year net asset value return of 12.3%, the VanEck Morningstar Wide Moat ETF captures capital flows seeking shelter from sticky inflation.

It anchors a portfolio to businesses that can absorb macroeconomic headwinds. In an environment where unprofitable software growth is punished, this strategic allocation is a core element for wealth preservation and steady growth.

Anchoring Wealth in a Tangible FutureThe mechanics of investing have shifted from the digital world back to the physical. The market is actively rewarding tangible profitability, energy security, and absolute pricing power. As technology forces the modernization of the electrical grid and deglobalization rewires supply chains, the companies controlling hard assets have the greatest leverage.

Investors evaluating their current positioning might consider reviewing their exposure to speculative technology names and reallocating capital toward the foundational infrastructure that runs the modern economy.

Tractor Supply (TSCO) Q2 Earnings and Revenues Miss Estimates
TSC Tractor Supply
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Tractor Supply (TSCO - Free Report) came out with quarterly earnings of $0.81 per share, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.83 per share. This compares to earnings of $0.81 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of -2.41%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this retailer for farmers and ranchers would post earnings of $0.35 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.31, delivering a surprise of -11.43%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates just once.

Tractor Supply, which belongs to the Zacks Retail - Miscellaneous industry, posted revenues of $4.54 billion for the quarter ended June 2026, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 1.64%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $4.44 billion. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates just once over the last four quarters.

The sustainability of the stock's immediate price movement based on the recently-released numbers and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's commentary on the earnings call.

Tractor Supply shares have lost about 41.3% since the beginning of the year versus the S&P 500's gain of 9.6%.

What's Next for Tractor Supply? While Tractor Supply has underperformed the market so far this year, the question that comes to investors' minds is: what's next for the stock?

There are no easy answers to this key question, but one reliable measure that can help investors address this is the company's earnings outlook. Not only does this include current consensus earnings expectations for the coming quarter(s), but also how these expectations have changed lately.

Empirical research shows a strong correlation between near-term stock movements and trends in earnings estimate revisions. Investors can track such revisions by themselves or rely on a tried-and-tested rating tool like the Zacks Rank, which has an impressive track record of harnessing the power of earnings estimate revisions.

Ahead of this earnings release, the estimate revisions trend for Tractor Supply was unfavorable. While the magnitude and direction of estimate revisions could change following the company's just-released earnings report, the current status translates into a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell) for the stock. So, the shares are expected to underperform the market in the near future. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

It will be interesting to see how estimates for the coming quarters and the current fiscal year change in the days ahead. The current consensus EPS estimate is $0.49 on $3.86 billion in revenues for the coming quarter and $2.08 on $16.16 billion in revenues for the current fiscal year.

Investors should be mindful of the fact that the outlook for the industry can have a material impact on the performance of the stock as well. In terms of the Zacks Industry Rank, Retail - Miscellaneous is currently in the top 27% of the 250 plus Zacks industries. Our research shows that the top 50% of the Zacks-ranked industries outperform the bottom 50% by a factor of more than 2 to 1.

One other stock from the same industry, Arhaus, Inc. (ARHS - Free Report) , is yet to report results for the quarter ended June 2026.

This company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $0.16 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of -36%. The consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has remained unchanged over the last 30 days.

Arhaus, Inc.'s revenues are expected to be $366.37 million, up 2.2% from the year-ago quarter.
