BioNTech SE (BNTX -2.47%) is still widely viewed as a COVID-19 vaccine maker, but that picture is quickly changing. The company has quietly built a broad late-stage cancer pipeline spanning multiple promising treatments for different cancer types.
With the stock trading below $100, investors may be overlooking the significant upside the company can deliver by expanding its oncology portfolio.

From COVID vaccine maker to multi-product cancer company BioNTech is a very different company following the COVID-19 pandemic, having expanded its oncology portfolio, which now spans multiple cancer types.
That pipeline has moved much further along than many investors realize. BioNTech said it has more than 25 phase 2 and phase 3 oncology trials underway and is targeting 15 phase 3 trials by the end of 2026. It's now approaching the point where several of these programs could potentially become commercial products.
And that brings us to the most important piece of BioNTech's pipeline: pumitamig. The opportunity is broad because the company isn't developing this exciting new drug for just one cancer. Specifically, it's being tested across multiple types of solid tumors, including lung, breast, gastric, and kidney cancers, to name a few.
The company is also combining pumitamig with other therapies rather than treating it as a stand-alone product. Should the trials be successful, the drug could become an overall game changer in cancer therapy.
The late-stage pipeline keeps expanding across tumor types One interesting aspect of BioNTech's pipeline is its novel-novel combination strategy. The company is testing pumitamig alongside other kinds of cancer therapies. Essentially, the goal is to build combinations that attack tumors in different ways.
That matters because BioNTech isn't trying to win with one blockbuster drug alone. Instead, it's positioning itself around a portfolio of cancer medicines that can potentially be combined.
In a recent publication, BioNTech identified at least 17 late-stage data readouts through 2030 and beyond, spanning lung, breast, gastrointestinal, and other cancers. The company sees these programs as building blocks for becoming a multi-product oncology company.
Notably, BioNTech is still developing its nRNA oncology platform. BNT113 is in phase 3 development for HPV16-positive head and neck cancer, while autogene cevumeran is being developed as a personalized cancer vaccine for colorectal, pancreatic, and other cancers.
That means investors don't need every program to succeed, since a diversified pipeline can create significant value if several drugs prove effective as they move toward commercialization. The upside could be even greater if some of those drugs are used for multiple tumor types or in combination with one another.
Partnerships add another layer of support. BioNTech has collaborated with companies such as Bristol Myers Squibb, Duality Biologics, and Genentech, enabling it to share development capabilities across its portfolio.
BioNTech's pivot away from COVID hasn't been painless. Revenue fell by about 60% year over year in its latest quarter, and losses widened as the company poured more money into oncology research, even as it named incoming CEO Guido Oelkers to help steer that transition.

But the good news is that BioNTech's balance sheet gives the company plenty of room to move ahead. The company ended the quarter with more than 16 billion euros in cash and securities, providing a cushion to fund its pipeline while it waits on catalysts, including roughly 600 million euros in Bristol Myers Squibb collaboration revenue expected later this year.
What matters now is what the company's oncology portfolio could become. Investors today are gaining exposure to a deep late-stage oncology pipeline, with multiple cancer drugs that offer real diversification. If pumitamig and other late-stage candidates continue to deliver positive data, BioNTech could be closer to becoming a major oncology player than the market realizes.
And with the stock trading below $100, now could be a compelling entry point for investors willing to look past the COVID-era narrative.
Rocket Lab dosáhl rekordního objemu nevyřízených zakázek ve výši 2,36 mld. USD, což představuje meziroční nárůst o 137 %. Stifel ponechal doporučení „Buy“ a cílovou cenu 150 USD, což implikuje růstový potenciál 108,6 %.
Rocket Lab sits more than 50% below its 52-week high after a brutal stretch of dilution and missed earnings, yet one Wall Street analyst just reiterated a target that implies the stock doubles from here. The question is whether a…

Rocket Lab (NASDAQ:RKLB | RKLB Price Prediction) currently trades at $71.92. Wall Street’s average price target is $109.15, which implies 51.8% upside.
Rocket Lab flies the Electron rocket. It runs HASTE hypersonic test missions, builds spacecraft and components, and is finishing its Neutron medium-lift reusable rocket. Defense spending is the main draw. The Space Force budget requests $7.8 billion for space access. Rocket Lab is listed as a prime contractor on both national security launch programs.
The high end of the target range is even further away. Stifel’s Erik Rasmussen has a Street-high $150 target and a reiterated Buy rating. That target implies 108.6% upside, so he expects the stock to more than double.
Dilution and the Iridium Deal Pulled Rocket Lab Off Its Highs Dilution did the most damage. Rocket Lab sold $1.08 billion of stock through its at-the-market program in the second quarter alone. Part of that money is for the Iridium Communications (NASDAQ:IRDM) acquisition, which is a cash and stock transaction. Management also guided the basic share count to about 641 million. Shares fell 13.78% over three months and now sit 52.4% below the 52-week high of $151.
The earnings report added pressure. Revenue of $234.07M rose 62.0% and beat estimates. The GAAP loss of $0.08 per share missed the -$0.0767 estimate, partly due to $8.58M in deal costs. Guidance calls for adjusted EBITDA loss of $17M to $23M, larger than the quarter’s $8.8 million. Management said the Neutron launch window this year is narrowing. A beta of 2.938 means swings tend to be larger than the market’s.
Analysts Are Banking on Neutron and a $2.36 Billion Backlog Analysts remain bullish. Four rate the stock Strong Buy, 12 rate it Buy, four rate it Hold, and none rate it Sell. Stifel’s thesis rests on three points. Neutron could compete with SpaceX’s Falcon 9; Space Systems brings in more than two-thirds of revenue; defense contracts provide long-term backlog visibility.
Backlog grew 137% to a record $2.36 billion, with about 45.5% converting to revenue within 12 months. Recent wins include a $397M Space Force Flatellite contract and a $266 million award for up to 18 missile-defense launches. Neutron targets $50 to $55 million per launch. The CEO said, “We have absolutely zero issues in selling full price Neutrons pre-test flights.”
The timeline is weak. Management linked positive free cash flow to Neutron’s first successful launch, and Neutron’s debut already slipped to Q4 2026. Iridium brings more than $870 million in annual revenue but closes mid-2027. The stock trades at 62.4 times sales.
Space Peers Fell Too, and Planet Labs Shows the Bigger Gap Shares of AST SpaceMobile (NASDAQ:ASTS) trade at $60.65, down 8.27% over the past month and 16.49% year to date. Its $77.94 target implies 28.5% upside. Ratings are conservative with one Strong Buy, four Buy, seven Hold, one Sell and one Strong Sell.
Planet Labs (NYSE:PL) trades at $17.75 and is down 9.99% year to date. Its $33.40 target implies 88.2% upside. Ratings include one Strong Buy, six Buy, three Hold and one Sell. Its gap is larger than Rocket Lab’s.
Planet Labs has the biggest consensus upside in the group, while Rocket Lab sits in the middle, and only Stifel’s target puts it in doubling territory. Price targets are opinions and come with no guarantee for any of these stocks.
Rocket Lab Beats Its Peers but Lags the S&P 500 At $71.92, Rocket Lab has 51.8% upside to the $109.15 consensus target. The stock bounced 11.92% over the past month but dropped 4.18% in its most recent trading day.
Rocket Lab has gained 3.1% so far this year, and the S&P 500 is up 13.98%. The $69.94 50-day average sits below the $81.50 200-day average, so the longer-term trend still points down.
Neutron’s First Flight Decides Whether $150 Is Realistic The bull case strengthens if Neutron reaches the pad on schedule, flies smoothly and converts that 90+ mission backlog into higher-priced revenue. Positive cash flow comes into view and Iridium adds recurring revenue. If Neutron slips again, the downside case strengthens. Rocket Lab would then be funding Neutron, three acquisitions and ongoing burn, likely through more share issuance.
I are bullish. The backlog and defense demand back up the consensus target, but until Neutron flies, $109.15 is a more realistic marker than $150.

Xcel Energy (XEL - Free Report) announced an agreement to sell its Michigan natural gas operations to SEMCO ENERGY Gas Company and electric operations to Upper Peninsula Power Company (“UPPCO”). The transaction involves 6,000 natural gas customers and 9,000 electric customers across Gogebic and Ontonagon counties. The divestiture is subject to state and federal regulatory approvals and expected to close in 2027.
The proposed divestiture is expected to streamline Xcel Energy’s operations and improve capital allocation by allowing greater focus on its core utility markets. This move could support infrastructure modernization, enhance grid reliability and help meet rising electricity demand, strengthening the company’s long-term growth prospects.
Xcel Energy’s proposed divestiture could enhance financial flexibility and operational efficiency by allowing it to focus investments on the core service territories. This strategic move may support grid modernization, efficient capital allocation and regulated rate base expansion, strengthening XEL’s long-term earnings growth prospects, subject to regulatory approvals.
Recently, another utility, Suncor Energy (SU - Free Report) , planned an offshore asset divestiture for $1.2 billion in upfront cash, which will strengthen financial flexibility and reduce future liabilities. This transaction allows Suncor to focus investments on its core, long-life oil sands assets, improve capital allocation and support free cash flow growth, enhancing long-term profitability and shareholder returns.
Robust Investment Plan Fuels Long-Term GrowthXcel Energy plans to invest $60 billion during 2026-2030, with more than $10 billion in additional investment opportunities. These investments in generation, transmission and distribution infrastructure are expected to drive approximately 11% annual regulated rate base growth through 2030, supporting the company's long-term earnings growth and financial performance.
Xcel Energy expects retail electricity sales to grow nearly 5% annually through 2030, supported by rising data center demand and industrial expansion. With nearly 4 gigawatts (GW) of data center capacity targeted for contracting by 2027, the company anticipates 6-8% or higher annual EPS growth, strengthening its long-term investment appeal.
Rising AI Data Center Demand Fuels Electric Utility GrowthGrowing electricity demand from AI-powered data centers is creating significant long-term growth opportunities for electric utilities. Key Takeaways WTW's organic revenues grew 5% in the second quarter, with Risk & Broking leading at 7% growth. Specialization, client retention and technology solutions are helping WTW offset declining insurance rates. HWC grew 4%, while delayed activity boosted R&B, making sustained 5% growth more challenging. Willis Towers Watson Public Limited Company (WTW - Free Report) appears capable of sustaining more than 5% organic growth, but maintaining that pace will depend heavily on Risk & Broking and the company’s ability to offset softer insurance pricing.
WTW’s organic growth remains a key strength, with organic revenue growth reaching 5% in the second quarter of 2026, supported by solid momentum across both major businesses. The biggest support is WTW’s specialization strategy. Although insurance rates continued to decline across most lines, WTW said its specialty offerings are helping it grow through the cycle.
Risk & Broking led the performance with 7% organic growth, driven by new business, strong client retention and double-digit growth across most specialty businesses, while Health, Wealth & Career delivered 4% growth, led by an 8% increase in Health. Insurance Consulting & Technology also grew 6%, helped by software sales and new business wins.
The sustainability of this growth will depend on whether WTW can continue gaining business despite declining insurance rates across most lines. Its specialization strategy, broad specialty offerings, client retention and technology-based solutions provide important offsets to softer pricing. Management continues to expect mid-single-digit organic growth in Risk & Broking and HWC for 2026, suggesting that 5% growth is achievable, although maintaining this pace will require continued new-business wins and strong execution.
However, sustaining 5%+ growth could become more challenging. HWC grew only 4% organically in the second quarter, with Career flat, while R&B's acceleration partly reflected activity that had been delayed earlier in the year. WTW itself continues to guide for mid-single-digit organic growth in both major segments for 2026, suggesting that 5% is achievable but not necessarily a new baseline above that level.
What About Its Peers?Brown & Brown, Inc. (BRO - Free Report) experienced a moderation in organic growth in the second quarter of 2026, reflecting a softer insurance pricing environment and weakness in its Specialty Distribution business. Organic revenues declined 0.7% year over year, while organic revenues, including contingent commissions, increased 0.7%. Despite the near-term pressure, BRO expects organic growth to improve in the second half of 2026, with management targeting 1.5-2.5% growth in Retail and 2-4% in Specialty Distribution, excluding contingents.
Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG - Free Report) appears well positioned to sustain around 6% organic growth and continue expanding underlying margins even as insurance pricing moderates. AJG witnessed another solid quarter of organic growth across each business and geography. The bigger drivers of Organic growth remain new business, strong client retention, exposure growth and the diversity of the model across P/C, benefits, reinsurance and claims. AJG is also gaining from activity across construction, infrastructure, energy and data centers. AJG projects a total company organic outlook of 6%, brokerage at 5.5% and risk management at 9% for 2026. AJG expects 2026 will be another year of excellent organic growth.
WTW’s Price PerformanceShares of WTW have lost 13.9% in the past year compared with the industry’s decline of 24.7%.

Estimate Movement for WTWThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for WTW’s third-quarter 2026 and fourth-quarter 2026 EPS has moved down 0.9% and 0.2%, respectively, in the past 30 days. The same for full-year 2026 and 2027 EPS has moved down 0.1% and 0.08%, respectively, in the past 30 days.
Wolfspeed získal podmíněné schválení od amerického ministerstva války pro úvěr až ve výši 1,5 miliardy USD se splatností 30 let; dohoda ještě vyžaduje konečné schválení.
Wolfspeed Inc (NYSE:WOLF) shares opened 11% higher on Thursday morning after the chipmaker said the US Department of War had conditionally agreed to lend it up to $1.5 billion over 30 years.
The proposed financing would give the department warrants to purchase up to 7.5% of Wolfspeed’s fully diluted equity, providing the company with a potentially significant source of long-term funding.
Shares of Wolfspeed gave up some of its gains as trading went on, with the stock about 1% higher by midmorning.
The company makes silicon carbide chips, which are used in applications requiring high-efficiency power conversion, including electric vehicles, solar inverters and industrial power systems.
Wolfspeed burned $380 million of free cash flow in the year to June 2026 and had $1.8 billion of debt against $1.09 billion of cash and short-term investments.
The proposed loan is not yet final and remains subject to due diligence, definitive agreements, government approvals, appropriations and sign-off from Wolfspeed’s existing lenders.
The financing would be provided through the Department of War’s Office of Strategic Capital and is intended to strengthen Wolfspeed’s financial position and support investments in its technology.
The company plans to use the financing to upgrade its gallium nitride technology for next-generation communications infrastructure and electronic warfare systems and to develop radiation-hardening capabilities.

Western Union obnovila partnerství s Publix, díky čemuž budou v zapojených prodejnách Publix na jihovýchodě USA nadále dostupné domácí i mezinárodní převody peněz, platby účtů a poštovní poukázky.
Key Takeaways WU renews a 20-plus-year Publix deal, keeping transfers, bill payments and money orders in stores.WU's North American money transfer revenue fell 9% and transactions slid 5% in Q2 2026.Publix's 1,432 stores and Kentucky expansion could help Western Union reach more customers. The Western Union Company (WU - Free Report) recently renewed its partnership with Publix Super Markets, extending a relationship spanning more than two decades. The agreement allows customers to continue accessing domestic and international money transfers, bill payments and money orders at participating Publix stores across the southeastern United States.
It also creates opportunities for Western Union to reach additional customers as Publix expands into new markets, including Kentucky. Publix currently operates 1,432 stores across eight states, employing more than 260,000 people. WU’s network spanning over 200 countries and territories and supporting 130 currencies underscores the scale of its cross-border operations and the role of retail partnerships in maintaining customer access.
Western Union's North American money transfer revenues declined 9% in second-quarter 2026, while transactions fell 5%. As such, the renewal will likely help Western Union protect its retail distribution network while reaching customers who prefer in-person financial services. Publix's growing presence offers opportunities to generate transactions without establishing standalone branches. Keeping services available across Publix stores could therefore help Western Union defend market share and improve customer retention.
Western Union also works with major retailers, including Kroger, Walmart, Albertsons, Walgreens, H-E-B and Giant Eagle. During its second-quarter earnings call, management said it had renewed major retail contracts despite increased competition, with terms broadly similar to previous agreements. These relationships help Western Union maintain its retail presence and protect existing revenue streams amid declining transaction volumes in the U.S. market.
It is also pursuing acquisitions to expand its reach. Its pending $500 million purchase of Intermex would strengthen its U.S. retail network and presence in Latin American remittance corridors, with management targeting $30 million in annual cost savings within two years of closing. However, the deal remains subject to California regulatory approval and a renewed federal antitrust waiting period.
Price PerformanceWestern Union shares have declined 34.3% in the year-to-date period compared with the 11.7% fall of the industry it belongs to.

The consensus mark for EVERTEC’s current-year earnings indicates 10.5% year-over-year jump. EVTC witnessed two upward estimate revisions over the past 60 days and no downward movement. The consensus estimate for current-year revenues implies a 17% year-over-year growth.
Key Takeaways UNM's Colonial Life adjusted operating income rose 11.9%, while premium income increased 3.3% to $477.4M. Sales grew 6%, while a lower 46.7% benefit ratio reflected favorable claims in key products. Colonial Life's 19.4% ROE and higher investment income support its role as an earnings growth engine. Unum Group’s (UNM - Free Report) Colonial Life could remain an important growth and earnings engine, though the pace of growth will likely depend on sustained sales momentum, persistency and favorable claims experience.
In the second quarter of 2026, Colonial Life’s adjusted operating income rose 11.9%, while premium income increased 3.3% to $477.4 million. Sales grew 6%, providing a healthy pipeline for future premium growth. The segment also benefited from a lower 46.7% benefit ratio, down from 48.3% a year earlier, due to favorable claims experience in life, cancer and critical illness products.
Another positive is investment income. Colonial Life’s net investment income jumped 17.6% to $50.1 million, helped by higher yields and increased allocation of investment income. Adjusted operating ROE reached 19.4%, highlighting the segment's strong profitability.
Technology and distribution could provide additional support. Management said more than 70% of Colonial Life's 12,000-plus agents use Agent Assist, its proprietary agent productivity platform. Greater adoption could improve agent productivity and help support sales growth.
However, investors should watch persistency, which was 78.2% in the first half of 2026 versus 78.5% a year earlier. The relatively modest premium growth also suggests that stronger sales will need to translate into sustained in-force growth to keep Colonial Life's earnings trajectory intact.
Colonial Life currently has several favorable ingredients—solid sales growth, strong claims experience, higher investment income, stable persistency and high ROE. If UNM can maintain these trends, Colonial Life can remain a key contributor to earnings growth and help offset pressure from weaker International results and the Closed Block.
What About Its Peers?Aflac Incorporated’s (AFL - Free Report) U.S. benefits business has the potential to become a more important growth contributor, supported by expanding demand for group voluntary benefits, dental and vision products. In the second quarter of 2026, earned premiums from group products, including group life, absence and disability, dental and vision, and group voluntary benefits, increased 13%, highlighting solid demand. Management expects U.S. net earned premiums to witness a 3-6% CAGR from 2025 to 2027, although 2026 growth is expected to come in slightly below that range. With employers increasingly using voluntary benefits to enhance employee offerings while controlling benefit costs, Aflac's broad distribution network and supplemental products could support steady organic growth.
MetLife, Inc.’s (MET - Free Report) Group Benefits business is emerging as a key growth and earnings contributor, supported by solid premium growth, favorable underwriting trends and improving business volumes. In the second quarter of 2026, Group Benefits adjusted earnings increased strongly, aided by higher premiums and improved underwriting performance. Continued demand for employer-sponsored life, disability and dental benefits, along with higher enrollment and strong customer retention, could support further growth. Investors, however, will want to assess whether favorable claims experience can be sustained as pricing conditions evolve and whether premium growth can translate into durable earnings expansion.
UNM’s Price PerformanceShares of UNM have gained 18.6% in the year-to-date period, outperforming the industry.

Společnost First Horizon by měla za čtvrtletí končící v září 2026 vykázat zisk 0,53 USD na akcii, což představuje meziroční nárůst o 3,9 %, při výnosech ve výši 889,7 mil. USD.
Wall Street expects a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when First Horizon National (FHN - Free Report) reports results for the quarter ended September 2026. While this widely-known consensus outlook is important in gauging the company's earnings picture, a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.
The earnings report, which is expected to be released on October 15, might help the stock move higher if these key numbers are better than expectations. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.
While management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call will mostly determine the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations, it's worth having a handicapping insight into the odds of a positive EPS surprise.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis bank holding company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $0.53 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +3.9%.
Revenues are expected to be $889.7 million, up 0.1% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 0.67% higher over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.
Investors should keep in mind that the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts may not always get reflected in the aggregate change.
Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise
Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. This insight is at the core of our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction).
The Zacks Earnings ESP compares the Most Accurate Estimate to the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the quarter; the Most Accurate Estimate is a more recent version of the Zacks Consensus EPS estimate. The idea here is that analysts revising their estimates right before an earnings release have the latest information, which could potentially be more accurate than what they and others contributing to the consensus had predicted earlier.
Thus, a positive or negative Earnings ESP reading theoretically indicates the likely deviation of the actual earnings from the consensus estimate. However, the model's predictive power is significant for positive ESP readings only.
A positive Earnings ESP is a strong predictor of an earnings beat, particularly when combined with a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold). Our research shows that stocks with this combination produce a positive surprise nearly 70% of the time, and a solid Zacks Rank actually increases the predictive power of Earnings ESP.
Please note that a negative Earnings ESP reading is not indicative of an earnings miss. Our research shows that it is difficult to predict an earnings beat with any degree of confidence for stocks with negative Earnings ESP readings and/or Zacks Rank of 4 (Sell) or 5 (Strong Sell).
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for First Horizon? For First Horizon, the Most Accurate Estimate is lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bearish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -0.55%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that First Horizon will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that First Horizon would post earnings of $0.52 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.54, delivering a surprise of +3.85%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates four times.
Bottom LineAn earnings beat or miss may not be the sole basis for a stock moving higher or lower. Many stocks end up losing ground despite an earnings beat due to other factors that disappoint investors. Similarly, unforeseen catalysts help a number of stocks gain despite an earnings miss.
That said, betting on stocks that are expected to beat earnings expectations does increase the odds of success. This is why it's worth checking a company's Earnings ESP and Zacks Rank ahead of its quarterly release. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.
First Horizon doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

Valero Energy (VLO) se obchoduje za 8,95násobek EV/EBITDA oproti průměru odvětví 6,07; levnější těžká ropa a omezené rafinační kapacity podporují marže.
Key Takeaways VLO trades at 8.95x EV/EBITDA versus the industry's 6.07x, but its fundamentals justify the premium.Access to cheaper heavy crude and constrained global refining capacity support VLO's refining margins.VLO gained 161.8% over the past year, backed by a strong balance sheet and upward estimate revisions. Valero Energy Corporation (VLO - Free Report) is currently considered expensive on a relative basis, with the stock trading at an 8.95x trailing 12-month Enterprise Value to Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EV/EBITDA), which is a premium compared with the broader industry average of 6.07x. Two other refiners, Phillips 66 (PSX - Free Report) and Par Pacific Holdings, Inc. (PARR - Free Report) , are currently trading at 12.02x trailing 12-month EV/EBITDA and 3.59x trailing 12-month EV/EBITDA, respectively.
Is the premium valuation justified? Before making investment decisions, one should consider the company's overall business environment and fundamentals.
VLO's Advantageous Position in Heavy Crude Aids It
The Middle East tensions are driving crude oil prices higher, with West Texas Intermediate (“WTI”) trading above $90 per barrel, according to data from Oilprice.com. The high crude price has significantly increased input costs for refiners such as VLO, PSX and PARR. However, unlike many refiners, Valero Energy has a heavy crude advantage, as heavy crude is cheaper than light crude like WTI.
Regarding the company’s access to diverse crude feedstocks, Valero has an advantage because its Gulf Coast refineries can buy crude oil from many low-cost sources, including the United States, Canada and Venezuela. This gives the company more flexibility to purchase cheaper oil, which helps keep refining costs low and can boost profits when competitors have fewer sourcing options.
Constrained Global Refining Capacity is a Boon for VLO?
Global refining capacity is constrained and fuel inventories are low. On the demand side, gasoline, diesel and jet fuel remain resilient. This means people are still driving and flying quite often, while diesel demand suggests transportation, freight, agriculture and industrial activity are still holding up. As a result, with busy refineries and fuel not in abundant supply, refining margins for refiners are quite strong.
With crude prices likely to remain high, investors shouldn’t allocate their money only to exploration and production companies but also to refining players like VLO, even though high crude prices have been increasing refiners’ input costs.
Strong Balance Sheet Provides Support for VLO
The leading refining company ended the June quarter of 2026 with a net debt-to-capitalization of just 11%. It added $2.1 billion to its cash balance during the June quarter, making its financial position even stronger. It also reported $5.3 billion of available liquidity excluding cash, providing significant financial flexibility.
Thus, the company can lean on its balance sheet to combat an uncertain business environment, reflecting its relatively stable business model compared to other players with a weaker balance sheet.
Time to Bet on the Stock?
Valero, with 14 refineries and a combined throughput capacity of roughly 3 million barrels per day, has witnessed upward earnings estimate revisions for 2026 over the past seven days.
All the positive developments are getting reflected in the price chart. Over the past year, VLO jumped 161.8%, outperforming PARR’s 138% surge and PSX’s 107.2% gain. Thus, considering the business backdrop, it’s worth paying a premium for VLO stock, which currently sports a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy). Glaukos Corporation (NYSE:GKOS) reported three-year trial results for its non-invasive keratoconus treatment while simultaneously securing an exclusive licensing deal to broaden its pipeline of retinal disease therapies.
Long-Term Phase 3 Success For EpioxaThe ophthalmic healthcare firm released positive topline data from its GLK-202-03 extension study evaluating Epioxa, a novel topical therapy for keratoconus.
Keratoconus is a sight-threatening corneal disorder that remains widely undiagnosed and undertreated throughout the patient population.
Designed as an incision-free alternative to traditional corneal cross-linking, the oxygen-supplemented therapy is bioactivated by pulsed UV light and does not require removing the corneal epithelium, helping to lower procedure pain, streamline administration, and speed patient recovery.
The extension trial monitored 38 study eyes across 35 subjects for up to three years following a single Epioxa treatment, with no further medical interventions administered during the follow-up period.
A total of 92% of participant eyes completed the final three-year assessment visit. Treated eyes maintained a 1.9 diopter improvement in maximum corneal curvature from baseline, proving long-term stabilization and flattening of the cornea.
Furthermore, visual outcomes showed strong performance, with 29% of eyes gaining two or more lines of best-corrected visual acuity and 20% gaining three or more lines.
The treatment maintained a clean safety profile with zero serious adverse events, treatment-related adverse events, or therapy-related patient discontinuations.
Retinal Pipeline Expansion Via Licensing DealGlaukos also announced an exclusive licensing agreement with RevOpsis Therapeutics Inc. to develop and commercialize RO-104, a first-in-class tri-specific biologic.
The high-concentration drug candidate targets several conditions, including neovascular age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusion.
The therapeutic simultaneously blocks VEGF-A and VEGF-C while inhibiting Ang-2. Preclinical testing in animal models showed superior performance over existing anti-VEGF therapies.
The deal grants Glaukos exclusive rights to leverage the RevMod platform to develop up to four additional retinal biologics. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
GKOS Price Action: Glaukos shares were down 10.76% at $153.65 at the time of publication on Thursday, according to Benzinga Pro data.

CRH plánuje koupit dánské a finské aktivity společnosti NCC Industry, včetně lomů, asfaltových závodů a recyklačních provozů; transakce má být uzavřena v roce 2027.
Key Takeaways CRH to acquire NCC Industry's Denmark and Finland operations, adding aggregates and recycling capabilities.CRH invested $1.4B across 17 acquisitions through June 2026, supporting its connected portfolio strategy.CRH reaffirmed 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance and expects another year of margin expansion. CRH plc (CRH - Free Report) is strengthening its aggregates-led growth strategy with the planned acquisition of NCC Industry’s operations in Denmark and Finland, adding scale and capabilities across key Nordic infrastructure markets. The transaction, expected to close in 2027, subject to approvals, includes Denmark’s network of asphalt plants and land- and marine-based aggregates sites, along with high-quality reserves. In Finland, CRH will gain reserve-backed hard-rock quarries, backfilling and recycling operations.
The deal complements CRH’s broader focus on transportation, water and reindustrialization, while expanding its exposure to road, infrastructure and industrial projects in high-growth urban markets. This strategy is already showing traction. In the second quarter of 2026, CRH’s International Solutions revenues rose 5% year over year, while adjusted EBITDA increased 8%, with Europe benefiting from infrastructure investment and reindustrialization.
The Nordic transaction also reinforces CRH’s capital-allocation playbook. Year to date (as of June 30, 2026), the company has invested $1.4 billion across 17 acquisitions spanning aggregates, cementitious materials, roads and water. Management continues to see a strong M&A pipeline, while emphasizing its ability to create value through operational improvements and portfolio connectivity. Importantly, the acquisition comes as CRH expects continued infrastructure strength and another year of margin expansion. The company reaffirmed its 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance of $8.1-$8.5 billion and expects its 13th consecutive year of margin expansion.
Overall, the Nordic deal appears strategically aligned with CRH’s connected portfolio model, potentially strengthening its position in infrastructure-driven markets while adding another avenue for long-term growth.
CRH vs. Martin Marietta & Vulcan: Aggregates Race Heats UpCRH, alongside its market peers Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. (MLM - Free Report) and Vulcan Materials Company (VMC - Free Report) , is positioned to benefit from sustained aggregates demand as transportation, water, reindustrialization and other infrastructure projects support construction activity.
Martin Marietta and Vulcan benefit from strong U.S. aggregates positions and infrastructure exposure, but CRH’s broader connected portfolio across aggregates, cementitious materials, roads, water and critical infrastructure gives it more avenues to capture project spending. Its latest Denmark and Finland deal further extends this acquisition-led strategy. CRH appears to have an edge in inorganic growth and portfolio connectivity.
Overall, CRH’s scale, aggressive M&A, geographic diversification and cross-selling opportunities could give it a competitive edge over Martin Marietta and Vulcan as infrastructure investment remains strong.

Akcie společnosti Haemonetics ve čtvrtek vzrostly o více než 13 % poté, co CSL oznámila, že do konce roku 2027 dokončí zavedení zařízení NexSys PCS ve všech svých plazmaferézních centrech v USA.
Haemonetics (NYSE:HAE) shares jumped over 13% to $115.20 on Thursday after CSL set out a timetable for moving its US plasma collection centers onto the company's devices.
CSL Limited (ASX:CSL), the Australian biotechnology company, expects to finish rolling out Haemonetics' NexSys PCS devices with Persona PLUS technology and related disposables by the end of 2027.
Plasma is the liquid portion of blood that donors give at collection centers and manufacturers use to make treatments for rare and chronic diseases.
CSL told Haemonetics it anticipates the transition will cover all of its plasma collection centers currently operating in the US.
The companies signed a non-exclusive supply agreement in August, which allows CSL to use Haemonetics' devices and buy related disposables in the US while keeping other suppliers available.
The scope and timing of the rollout remain subject to change under the terms of the supply agreement, and implementation details have yet to be determined.
Haemonetics is not updating its previously issued financial year 2027 guidance, so its forecast remains unchanged for now.
The company expects to update investors on the agreement's anticipated effect on its financial year 2027 results during its second-quarter earnings call in November 2026.
Disposables are single-use items that are replaced for each donor and generate recurring revenue for device makers beyond the initial equipment sale.
Ultragenyx prodá poukaz FDA k prioritnímu přezkumu vzácných pediatrických onemocnění za 210 mil. USD; po úhradě 42 mil. USD organizaci NIH jí před dalšími náklady zůstane přibližně 168 mil. USD.
Key Takeaways Ultragenyx will receive $210M from selling a Rare Pediatric Disease Priority Review Voucher. The deal adds non-dilutive cash to support research, development and commercialization efforts.About $168M remains before other costs after a $42M NIH payment tied to a prior patent license. Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical (RARE - Free Report) has entered into a definitive agreement to sell a Rare Pediatric Disease Priority Review Voucher (PRV) for $210 million. The transaction is expected to provide the rare-disease drugmaker with a meaningful influx of non-dilutive cash, strengthening its financial position as it advances therapies for rare and ultra-rare diseases. The proceeds could also support Ultragenyx’s efforts to move toward profitability without requiring an equity financing. The deal remains subject to the satisfaction of certain regulatory and customary closing conditions.
The PRV was awarded to Ultragenyx following the FDA approval of Genglycos (pariglasgene brecaparvovec-opnr), also known as DTX401. Under the agency’s Rare Pediatric Disease PRV program, an eligible sponsor can receive a voucher after gaining approval for a qualifying rare pediatric disease therapy. The voucher can then be redeemed to obtain priority review for a future marketing application for a different eligible product. Importantly, the voucher can also be sold or transferred, allowing drugmakers to monetize the regulatory asset and generate capital.
Recent FDA Approval of Genglycos Earns RARE a Valuable PRVIn August, the FDA granted accelerated approval to Ultragenyx’s Genglycos to treat glycogen storage disease type Ia (GSDIa), making it the first treatment designed to address the underlying cause of the rare metabolic disorder. The therapy is indicated as an adjunct to nutritional management to reduce daily cornstarch intake in adults and pediatric patients aged eight years and older. The approval represents another important regulatory milestone for Ultragenyx as the company expands its portfolio of therapies targeting serious rare diseases.
Year to date, RARE shares have plunged 35.3% against the industry’s 1.3% growth.
Ultragenyx’s Genglycos is an AAV8 gene therapy developed to target the underlying disease biology in GSDIa. By focusing on the root cause rather than solely managing symptoms through dietary measures, the therapy broadens treatment options for patients with a condition associated with significant unmet medical need. The approval marked Ultragenyx’s first gene therapy product and fifth FDA approval overall, strengthening its rare-disease franchise and expanding its presence in genetic and metabolic disorders.
The approval was strategically important because the resulting PRV gives Ultragenyx immediate financial flexibility beyond Genglycos’ commercial opportunity. The $210 million sale will provide non-dilutive capital to support research, development and commercialization. However, 20% ($42 million) of the proceeds is payable to the NIH under a prior patent license agreement, leaving about $168 million before other costs. Ultragenyx has previously benefited from PRV monetization to fund Genglycos’ development, highlighting the program’s role as a source of non-dilutive funding for rare-disease innovation.
Ultragenyx’s marketed portfolio spans several rare metabolic and genetic disorders. Crysvita (burosumab-twza) is approved for X-linked hypophosphatemia in adults and pediatric patients and for tumor-induced osteomalacia, while Mepsevii (vestronidase alfa-vjbk) treats mucopolysaccharidosis type VII. Dojolvi (triheptanoin) is indicated for long-chain fatty acid oxidation disorders, and Evkeeza (evinacumab-dgnb) is approved for homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia. Evkeeza is a partnered drug, with Ultragenyx holding rights to develop, commercialize and distribute it outside the United States, while Regeneron Pharmaceuticals commercializes it in the United States.
In September, the FDA also approved Fayuvi (rebisufligene etisparvovec-hopf), a one-time gene therapy for the neurologic manifestations of mucopolysaccharidosis type IIIA, also known as Sanfilippo syndrome Type A, in pediatric patients with preserved neurodevelopmental function. The approval marked Ultragenyx’s sixth FDA approval overall and second gene therapy approval, further expanding its presence in rare and ultra-rare diseases.

Key Takeaways Helmerich & Payne expects fiscal fourth-quarter margins near the high end of its guided range.International Solutions is expected to deliver about $45 million in direct margins for the quarter.ExxonMobil plans seven more FlexRobotics systems, bringing its total deployment to nine. Helmerich & Payne (HP - Free Report) is heading into the end of fiscal 2026 with encouraging operating momentum. The company recently said it expects direct margins across the North America Solutions, International Solutions and Offshore Solutions businesses to come in at or near the high end of their previously issued fiscal fourth-quarter guidance. The update also points to steady activity across its portfolio and a constructive start to fiscal 2027. Separately, HP is expanding its FlexRobotics relationship with ExxonMobil Holdings Corporation (XOM - Free Report) , adding another potential avenue for technology-led growth.
Fiscal Q4 Performance on TrackHelmerich & Payneexpects its North America Solutions average rig count to be near the high end of its fiscal fourth-quarter guided range. This is important because the segment remains the company’s largest operating business and provides a key source of earnings and cash generation.
International Solutions is expected to post an average rig count near the midpoint of its range, while Offshore Solutions is also expected to come in around the midpoint for the average rig count and management contracts.
The margin outlook is particularly notable in International Solutions. Helmerich & Payneexpects the segment to generate direct margins of around $45 million during the quarter, near the upper end of the previously provided $25-$45 million range. Management highlighted the performance as a strong finish to fiscal 2026, even as geopolitical disruptions continue to affect activity in parts of the Middle East.
The company said other financial guidance items provided with its Aug. 5 earnings release remain unchanged. That stability gives investors greater visibility into the expected fiscal fourth-quarter performance rather than suggesting that the improved margin outlook is being driven by a broad revision to the company’s overall assumptions.
Encouraging Fiscal 2027 SetupHP’s comments also extend beyond the fiscal fourth-quarter results. Management expects overall direct margins in fiscal 2027 to be stronger than in fiscal 2026, supported by customer discussions and contracting activity across its global portfolio. In North America, the company sees activity remaining robust and commercial trends continuing to support the business.
Internationally, the outlook is more mixed. HP expects stronger activity in Latin America to partly offset near-term reductions in the Middle East. This geographic diversification remains an important feature of the company’s strategy because stronger performance in one region can help cushion disruptions in another.
Management also reiterated its commitment to reducing leverage to approximately 1x net debt to adjusted EBITDA by calendar year-end 2027 while maintaining the base dividend. The combination of improving margins, sustained activity and a stated balance-sheet objective could support investor confidence in the company’s medium-term financial profile.
FlexRobotics Deployment Adds a Technology CatalystOn the same day, Helmerich & Payne announced that ExxonMobil is expanding its use of FlexRobotics technology. After the initial deployment of two systems on HP rigs, ExxonMobil plans to add seven more systems over the next 12 months. That would bring the total number of FlexRobotics systems operating for ExxonMobil to nine.
This expansion is strategically important because it demonstrates that HP’s automation technology is moving beyond initial deployments and into broader operational use. FlexRobotics is designed to automate repetitive rig-floor activities, which can reduce employee exposure to higher-risk tasks while improving consistency, precision and operating efficiency.
For Helmerich & Payne, a wider deployment with a major customer such as ExxonMobil provides validation of the technology’s commercial value. This can also strengthen the company’s broader automation portfolio and deepen its relationship with an important industry customer. While the announcement does not disclose financial terms, the planned increase from two systems to nine represents a meaningful expansion in scope.
The technology opportunity is particularly relevant as drilling contractors look for ways to improve performance without relying solely on higher rig counts. Automation can help customers extract greater efficiency from existing operations, making technology adoption an additional growth lever alongside traditional drilling activity.
Bottom LineHP’s Oct. 7 update provides investors with two distinct positives. Near term, the company expects fiscal fourth-quarter direct margins to land at or near the upper end of guidance, with North America activity remaining strong and International Solutions delivering an expected $45 million in direct margins. Longer term, management sees stronger overall direct margins in fiscal 2027, supported by customer activity and a more favorable outlook in Latin America.
At the same time, the expanded ExxonMobil FlexRobotics deployment strengthens HP’s position in drilling automation and shows that customers are increasingly adopting its technology. The combination of solid operating execution, international opportunities, automation growth and a focus on balance-sheet improvement gives HP a constructive setup as it enters fiscal 2027.

Casey’s v 1. čtvrtletí fiskálního roku 2027 zvýšila zisk na akcii o 27,7 % na 7,37 USD a tržby o 24,3 % na 5 678,3 mil. USD, čímž překonala očekávání trhu.
It has been about a month since the last earnings report for Casey's General Stores (CASY - Free Report) . Shares have added about 0.7% in that time frame, underperforming the S&P 500.
But investors have to be wondering, will the recent positive trend continue leading up to its next earnings release, or is Casey's due for a pullback? Well, first let's take a quick look at the latest earnings report in order to get a better handle on the recent catalysts for Casey's General Stores, Inc. before we dive into how investors and analysts have reacted as of late.
CASY Q1 Earnings Beat Estimates on Inside and Fuel GainsCasey’s General Stores posted first-quarter fiscal 2027 earnings of $7.37 per share, which increased 27.7% year over year and surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $6.60. Revenues rose 24.3% to $5,678.3 million, beating the $5,624 million consensus mark.
Higher inside and fuel gross profit supported the quarter, partly offset by increased operating expenses. Inside same-store sales rose 3.2%, while fuel same-store gallons slipped 0.3%.
CASY's Inside Sales Gain on Prepared Food DemandTotal inside sales increased 5.6% year over year to $1,777.5 million. Prepared food and dispensed beverage same-store sales advanced 4.8%, driven mainly by positive traffic, led by whole pizzas. Grocery and general merchandise same-store sales increased 2.7%, helped by non-alcoholic beverages.
Inside gross profit rose 6.3% to $749.8 million, while inside margin expanded about 30 basis points to 42.2%. Prepared food and dispensed beverage margin improved to 59.3% from 58%, reflecting favorable mix and cost-of-goods management, while grocery and general merchandise margin eased to 35.6% from 35.9%.
Casey's Fuel Profit Climbs on Margin StrengthTotal fuel gallons sold increased 2.5% to 934.2 million gallons as a larger store base more than offset the modest same-store decline. Fuel gross profit climbed 19.6% to $446.9 million.
Fuel margin, excluding credit card fees, widened to 47.8 cents per gallon from 41 cents a year earlier. Management said its fuel capabilities helped the company navigate a volatile environment and produce strong results during the quarter.
CASY's Costs Rise as Store Base ExpandsOperating expenses increased 8% to $754.1 million. Operating 64 more stores than a year earlier accounted for about 2% of the increase, while higher same-store credit card fees added roughly 1.5%.
Same-store employee expense contributed about 1% of the increase, primarily because of higher labor rates, while labor hours were nearly flat. Insurance accounted for another roughly 1% of the increase.
Casey's Earnings Growth Outpaces Expense IncreaseNet income advanced 27.1% year over year to $273.7 million. EBITDA increased 17.1% to $485.1 million as higher inside and fuel gross profit outweighed part of the cost pressure.
Cash provided by operating activities totaled $384.1 million compared with $372.4 million a year ago. Casey’s spent $194.4 million on property and equipment and ended July with about $1.4 billion of available liquidity, including $524.1 million in cash and cash equivalents.
CASY Expands Store Base and Returns CashCasey’s ended the quarter with 2,959 stores, up from 2,944 at the start of the fiscal year. The company added nine newly constructed stores and 12 acquired locations while closing or divesting six stores.
The company repurchased about $45.6 million of shares during the quarter and had approximately $973 million remaining under its authorization. The board also approved a quarterly dividend of 65 cents per share, payable on Nov. 13, 2026.
Casey's Keeps Fiscal 2027 Outlook UnchangedFor fiscal 2027, Casey’s continues to expect inside same-store sales growth of 2%-5%, with inside margin above 42%. Same-store fuel gallons are projected to range from down 1% to up 1%, while operating expenses are expected to increase 5%-7%.
The company continues to target EBITDA growth of 8%-10% and plans to open at least 120 stores through acquisitions and new construction. Casey’s also expects about $800 million of capital spending and roughly $95 million of net interest expense.
CASY's Three-Year Plan Adds a Longer Growth RunwayCasey’s new three-year plan calls for at least 400 additional stores during fiscal 2027 through fiscal 2029 through a mix of new builds and acquisitions. The investor plan also targets roughly $2 billion of free cash flow over the period and continued inside-store margin expansion.
The strategy pairs unit growth with operating-efficiency initiatives intended to keep operating-expense growth below EBITDA growth. Identified workstreams include store simplification, supply-chain efficiency, kitchen optimization, centralized procurement and a scalable support model as the store network expands.
How Have Estimates Been Moving Since Then?In the past month, investors have witnessed a downward trend in estimates review.
VGM ScoresAt this time, Casey's has a great Growth Score of A, though it is lagging a lot on the Momentum Score front with an F. However, the stock was allocated a score of C on the value side, putting it in the middle 20% for value investors.
Overall, the stock has an aggregate VGM Score of B. If you aren't focused on one strategy, this score is the one you should be interested in.
OutlookEstimates have been broadly trending downward for the stock, and the magnitude of these revisions indicates a downward shift. Notably, Casey's has a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy). We expect an above average return from the stock in the next few months.
Elastic představila AlertZero, tým agentů AI pro bezpečnostní operace, který automatizuje třídění výstrah, vyšetřování a lov hrozeb. Produkt bude dostupný v technické preview verzi.
Elastic Announces AlertZero, a Team of Specialized AI Agents for the Security Operations Lifecycle Elastic (NYSE: ESTC) today introduced AlertZero, the agentic layer built into Elastic Security, with a team of specialized agents that learn from and adapt to how a security team already works. The agents handle alert triage, investigation, threat hunting, detection tuning and forensic analysis, so each alert gets an evidence-backed answer. This puts analysts on the path to an equivalent of inbox zero: a short queue of recommended actions instead of thousands of raw alerts. Analysts retain full control over which actions are automated and which require human judgement: they choose how much work to delegate to AlertZero and when they need to make the decisions. Releasing into Technical Preview, AlertZero works with any model in any deployment, so teams can adopt AI on their terms.
Security teams face the same persistent bottleneck: alert volume has outpaced the analysts available to work through it, and false positives add to a queue that was already too large to clear. As attackers' use of AI evolves, new problems keep compounding this issue. In a recent high-profile attack, an autonomous AI agent generated more than 17,000 events across a production environment in only four days, moving from a dataset-pipeline exploit to credential theft and lateral movement. The individual signals were detectable, but understanding the attack required connecting them.
That is exactly what AlertZero was built for. It continuously correlates and investigates activity while helping teams reduce false positives that clog the alert queue, with the flexibility to adapt as threats evolve.
AlertZero organizes that work around Watches: specialized named groups of agents with defined responsibilities that run on triggers and schedules. Each Watch focuses on a specific area of security operations and carries its findings into a shared investigation record:
Triage Watch pares down the alert queue through enrichment, decides true or false, closes the noise with a reason, and escalates the real alerts.Hunt Watch handles the legwork by continuously threat hunting, driven by what runs in it and what the threat research says.Detection Watch learns from the other Watches: proposes tuning for noisy rules and new rules for gaps. It will not change a rule without approval.Forensics Watch provides specialist depth for forensics, malware analysis, and exploit paths when work requires skills a typical SOC may not have on staff.Security investigations rarely stay inside one data source or one model. Analysts may need to change models as an investigation develops, based on the task and the evidence they are working with — a flexibility many AI security tools can't offer. AlertZero is designed to provide that flexibility. It runs on Elastic's full data foundation, including structured and unstructured data, logs, and metrics, and works with whatever model an organization chooses across Elastic Cloud, self-managed, or air-gapped deployments.
"What makes AlertZero different is that our team who built it have sat in the SOC analyst's seat,” said Mike Nichols, general manager, Security, Elastic. "We focused on building a platform that gives teams enough visibility and control to deploy agentic automation at the scale and scope they can handle effectively. Every Watch in AlertZero aligns directly with key SOC responsibilities, and the level of autonomy is customizable for each Watch. Security teams get help where they need it most, with the model and deployment that are most effective for their needs.”
Customers can extend AlertZero using the same Agent Builder skills and Elastic Workflows that Elastic used to build it, adding workflows specific to their environment without leaving the platform.
Availability
AlertZero will be available to Elastic Security customers as a Technical Preview in Elastic Cloud, self-managed, and air-gapped environments. It builds on existing Elastic Security capabilities, including Attack Discovery, ES|QL, Agent Builder, and Elastic Workflows.

Elastic spustil soukromý náhled AI agenta nightshift AI SRE, který v platformě Elastic Observability průběžně odhaluje a analyzuje incidenty napříč technologickým stackem.
The AI SRE uses complete context from across the entire stack to continuously detect issues and learn from every incident, delivering evidence-backed answers engineers can trust
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Elastic (NYSE: ESTC) today announced the private preview of Elastic® nightshift AI SRE, an AI agent built into Elastic Observability that investigates like an engineer and shows its work. It continuously detects and investigates issues across the entire stack with full context, including surfacing unknowns that rule-based alerts miss. Elastic nightshift AI SRE tests multiple root-cause hypotheses in parallel against telemetry and other relevant context to deliver evidence-backed answers with its reasoning visible at every step.
Cloud-native systems now produce more telemetry than any team can review manually, and agentic development has made the problem worse: code that writes code can fail in ways that don't trip a clean error code or fire an alert. In the past year, 78% of organizations had at least one incident where no alert fired and customers found the problem first, according to a NeuBird AI study from April 2026. Once an incident surfaces, investigation depends on context that is usually incomplete: telemetry dropped to control cost, knowledge scattered across code, runbooks and Slack, and lessons from past incidents lost. Observability agents only see what alerts catch, while standalone AI SREs reason over data they don't own. Elastic nightshift AI SRE brings detection, investigation, context and remediation together in a single AI SRE built into Elastic Observability.
Transparent Investigation
Elastic nightshift AI SRE investigates like an SRE would: ruling out dead ends, following connected signals and converging on root cause with transparent reasoning. Once an investigation identifies the likely root cause, Elastic nightshift AI SRE recommends a fix. It can select an existing workflow or pre-configured action and fill in the incident parameters or provide commands for an engineer to run. Engineers can inspect the investigation steps, including the queries the agent ran and the underlying data.
Complete Context
Each investigation draws on full context based on cost-efficient telemetry storage, so customers can keep what the AI needs instead of sampling it away. A knowledge graph connects that telemetry to source code from GitHub repositories, so Elastic nightshift AI SRE can point to the commit that likely caused an exception instead of leaving engineers to guess what changed. Investigation memory compounds over time, so every resolved incident makes the next investigation faster to resolve.
Detects Unknowns
Elastic nightshift AI SRE does not wait for a rule to fire. It continuously evaluates the environment and all telemetry for what needs attention, correlating alerts, SLOs and anomalies into findings an engineer should actually see, including issues that preconfigured alerts are blind to.
“Named role agents, including AI SRE, are the first step to AI-fueled operations,” said Shannon Kalvar, IDC Senior Research Director. “These agents need access to a broader context, particularly heterogeneous estates, along with the ability to both learn from their own action and reflect on those actions after the fact to begin to create the human-directed operating model of the future.”
"Most Observability agents only get smarter by scraping more data. Elastic nightshift AI SRE gets smarter by paying attention to how engineers work through investigations, and by checking its own homework once an incident is closed," said Baha Azarmi, general manager, Observability, Elastic. "That is how it keeps up with production without running up a token bill nobody wants to see."
Availability
Elastic nightshift AI SRE is available today in private preview on Elastic Observability Serverless, free for existing Elastic customers during the early access period. Elastic plans to bring it to technical preview later this year with broader support for third-party tools and data stores. Teams can join the waitlist at: elastic.co/observability/ai-sre/signup

ABM Industries ve třetím fiskálním čtvrtletí zvýšila upravený zisk na akcii o 27 % na 1,04 USD a tržby o 4,2 % na 2,32 miliardy USD; zároveň zvýšila celoroční výhled zisku.
A month has gone by since the last earnings report for ABM Industries (ABM - Free Report) . Shares have lost about 2% in that time frame, underperforming the S&P 500.
Will the recent negative trend continue leading up to its next earnings release, or is ABM Industries due for a breakout? Before we dive into how investors and analysts have reacted as of late, let's take a quick look at the most recent earnings report in order to get a better handle on the important catalysts.
ABM posted adjusted earnings of $1.04 per share, which increased 27% year over year and surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.01 by 3%. Higher segment operating profit, lower tax expense and reduced ongoing corporate costs supported the bottom line.
Revenues rose 4.2% to $2.32 billion and beat the consensus mark of $2.30 billion by 0.7%. Growth was led by M&D and Aviation. Semiconductor, microgrid and data center-related revenues reached nearly $775 million through nine months, rising 26% organically.
ABM Revenue Growth Led by M&D and AviationM&D revenues climbed 17.6% year over year to $481 million, including 7.8% organic growth and 9.9% growth from acquisitions. The increase reflected client expansions and the WGNSTAR acquisition. Aviation revenues rose 12.5% to $328.1 million, supported by healthy travel demand and the continued ramp of the Heathrow Airport contract.
Business & Industry revenues declined 2.6% to $1.01 billion, reflecting the exit of a large U.K.-based client and West Coast softness. Education revenues were nearly flat, up 0.3% to $235.8 million.
ABM Industries Manages Technical Solutions Project TimingTechnical Solutions revenues increased 4.2% to $259.9 million, with organic growth of 2.1% and acquisitions adding another 2.1%. Strong HVAC and battery energy storage system activity was partly offset by microgrid project delays tied to an important client.
The segment generated operating profit of $21.5 million, up 10.8%, while margin improved to 8.3% from 7.8% on favorable service mix. Management said about $15 million of projects were deferred in the quarter, with nearly all expected to land in the fourth quarter and a small portion in the first quarter of fiscal 2027.
ABM Expands High-Growth Technology ExposureSemiconductor revenues reached about $300 million through the first nine months of fiscal 2026 and grew 65% organically. Microgrid revenues were about $300 million, up 17% organically, while data center revenues totaled roughly $175 million and advanced 8% organically. Together, these markets represented more than 11% of company revenues and carried double-digit blended operating margins.
Management said WGNSTAR is tracking well above its earlier $120-$130 million annualized revenue expectation. ABM reported two or three cross-sells across the combined semiconductor client base. The data center pipeline is also a multiple of its year-ago level, while a roughly $20 million Army Corps of Engineers microgrid project is expected to be executed in 2027.
ABM Industries Shows Better Margin ExecutionOn a GAAP basis, net income increased 18.9% to $49.7 million, or 84 cents per share, from $41.8 million, or 67 cents. Selling, general and administrative expenses declined 3.5% to $171.3 million. Adjusted EBITDA increased 11% to $139.6 million.
Segment operating margin was 7.7%, flat year over year but up 40 basis points sequentially. Business & Industry margin expanded to 7.4% from 7.1% and Education margin improved to 9.7% from 9%.
Aviation margin fell to 5.6% from 6.8% as airline customers sought cost relief amid higher jet fuel costs. M&D margin declined to 8.4% from 8.9%, reflecting growth investments and nearly $4 million of incremental WGNSTAR amortization. Excluding that amortization, the segment margin was 9.2%.
ABM Strengthens Cash Flow and LeverageThird-quarter operating cash flow was $146.8 million and free cash flow was $128.4 million. Through nine months, operating cash flow increased to $275 million from $101 million, while free cash flow rose to $199.6 million from $42.4 million, supported by working-capital management and ERP stabilization.
Total indebtedness ended the quarter at $1.8 billion, while leverage improved to 2.9X from 3.2X in the previous quarter. Available liquidity was $605.8 million, including $110.5 million of cash and equivalents. ABM also established a $300 million accounts receivable financing facility.
ABM Industries Raises Fiscal 2026 OutlookABM raised its adjusted earnings outlook to $3.95-$4.10 per share from $3.85-$4.15, increasing the midpoint.
Organic revenue growth is still expected toward the high end of 3-4%, with total revenue growth toward the high end of 4-5%. Segment operating margin is now projected to be in the band of 7.7-7.8% compared with the prior 7.8-8% range.

Key Takeaways MP Materials more than doubled NdPr production in 2025, reaching a record 2,599 MT.MP expects Q3 2026 NdPr output to exceed 1,000 MT as throughput and plant reliability improve.MP is expanding magnet capacity, with commercial shipments expected to begin in Q4 2026. MP Materials (MP - Free Report) is accelerating efforts to strengthen its position across the U.S. rare earth supply chain, with rising NdPr production, expanding heavy rare earth capabilities and growing downstream magnet manufacturing. The company’s recent operational milestones highlight its progress toward building a fully integrated, end-to-end rare earth platform in the United States.
In 2025, the company’s Mountain Pass operations delivered a record 2,599 metric tons (MT) of neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr), more than double the 1,294 MT produced in 2024. The increase reflected continued process optimization and production ramp-up efforts.
In the first quarter of 2026, the company produced a record 917 MT of NdPr, up 63% year over year. Production increased 41% year over year to 840 metric tons in the second quarter of 2026 despite a scheduled semiannual maintenance outage at Mountain Pass. Management expects third-quarter 2026 NdPr production to have exceeded 1,000 metric tons as throughput and plant reliability improved.
MP remains on track to begin producing terbium and dysprosium later this year, with first samarium production targeted for 2028. The company recently entered into a multiyear agreement to supply gadolinium oxide to a leading U.S. aerospace and defense manufacturer.
MP Materials continues to expand its downstream manufacturing footprint as well. In December 2025, the company successfully produced its first neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) permanent magnets on a commercial scale at its Independence facility located in Fort Worth, TX.
The company has been delivering magnetic precursor products to General Motors Company (GM - Free Report) under a supply agreement since the first quarter of 2025, generating revenues for its Magnetics segment. During the second quarter of 2026, MP Materials delivered magnets to General Motors for in-vehicle qualification testing and expects to begin commercial shipments in the fourth quarter of 2026, followed by a steady production ramp.
As of June 30, 2026, MP had collected $150 million in required GM prepayments and delivered $104.5 million of precursor products. The remaining $45.5 million is expected to be delivered within a year. Once that is completed, MP expects to shift to sales of finished magnets instead of additional precursor sales to GM.
MP is expanding operations at its Independence facility and has begun construction of the 10X magnetics facility. Commissioning activities for scaled heavy rare earth separation are also expected to begin soon at Mountain Pass. 10X will significantly expand MP’s fully integrated U.S. rare-earth magnetics manufacturing platform, which already encompasses mining and refining, metallization and alloying, sintering, finished magnet production and closed-loop recycling. Once operational, the new campus is expected to contribute to the company’s total production capacity of approximately 10,000 metric tons of NdFeB rare-earth magnets per year, advancing the nation’s ability to produce these strategic components domestically.
MP Materials has also worked with U.S. and allied drone manufacturers to launch Project Swarm, an industrial coordination initiative designed to aggregate and standardize future magnet demand. It has already signed subscription agreements with several participants. The company’s partnership with Apple (AAPL - Free Report) on magnet recycling, magnet production and joint development also continues to advance.

Key Takeaways Howmet's Q2 2026 adjusted EBITDA jumped 39% to $817 million, with margin expanding 340 bps to 32.1%.Strong aerospace and gas turbine demand fueled 24% revenue growth, while productivity gains lifted margins.Howmet raised its 2026 revenue outlook to $10-$10.1 billion and expects adjusted EBITDA margin of 32.1-32.2%. The company's adjusted EBITDA margin reached 32.1%, reflecting an increase of 340 basis points (bps). The adjusted operating margin also improved 350 bps to 28.8%.
Despite the rise in operating expenses, the improved margin performance reflects the benefits of strong top-line growth, operational leverage and productivity gains. It’s worth noting that Howmet reported revenues of $2.55 billion in second-quarter 2026, which increased 24% year over year. The revenues were driven by persistent strength across commercial aerospace, defense aerospace and gas turbine markets.

Očekává se, že Simmons First National ve čtvrtletí dosáhne zisku 0,53 USD na akcii, což představuje meziroční nárůst o 15,2 %, při tržbách 255,21 milionu USD.
The market expects Simmons First National (SFNC - Free Report) to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended September 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook is important in assessing the company's earnings picture, but a powerful factor that might influence its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.
The stock might move higher if these key numbers top expectations in the upcoming earnings report, which is expected to be released on October 15. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.
While management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call will mostly determine the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations, it's worth having a handicapping insight into the odds of a positive EPS surprise.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis bank holding company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $0.53 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +15.2%.
Revenues are expected to be $255.21 million, up 10% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 0.45% higher over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.
Investors should keep in mind that an aggregate change may not always reflect the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts.
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Simmons First National? For Simmons First National, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +0.50%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.
So, this combination indicates that Simmons First National will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue?Analysts often consider to what extent a company has been able to match consensus estimates in the past while calculating their estimates for its future earnings. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Simmons First National would post earnings of $0.53 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.50, delivering a surprise of -5.66%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates just once.
Simmons First National appears a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.
An Industry Player's Expected ResultsAmong the stocks in the Zacks Banks - Southeast industry, Home BancShares (HOMB - Free Report) , is soon expected to post earnings of $0.64 per share for the quarter ended September 2026. This estimate indicates a year-over-year change of +4.9%. This quarter's revenue is expected to be $293 million, up 5.5% from the year-ago quarter.
Over the last 30 days, the consensus EPS estimate for Home BancShares has been revised 0.1% up to the current level. Nevertheless, the company now has an Earnings ESP of +0.79%, reflecting a higher Most Accurate Estimate.
When combined with a Zacks Rank of #2 (Buy), this Earnings ESP indicates that Home BancShares will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate. Over the last four quarters, the company surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times.

Key Takeaways Archer Aviation outperformed its industry over three months despite a 3.5% share-price decline.Archer is advancing eVTOL commercialization through acquisitions, infrastructure and Midnight flight tests.Archer's strong liquidity supports growth, but its premium valuation may limit near-term upside. Archer Aviation Inc. (ACHR - Free Report) shares have lost 3.5% in the past three months, outperforming the Zacks Aerospace-Defense industry’s decline of 14.8% as well as the broader Zacks Aerospace sector’s loss of 16%. However, it underperformed the S&P 500’s return of 3.7% in the same time frame.

Other industry players, such as Virgin Galactic (SPCE - Free Report) and Embraer (EMBJ - Free Report) , have delivered a similar performance in the past three months. Shares of SPCE and EMBJ have gained 16.2% and 18.9%, respectively, in the said period.
ACHR’s stronger performance compared with the broader aerospace and defense industry, along with gains among key peers, could make the stock appealing to investors. However, investors should assess whether ACHR’s solid fundamentals and growth prospects can sustain long-term gains. Evaluating its growth drivers, earnings outlook and key risks will be crucial in determining the stock’s potential for further upside.
Tailwinds for ACHRArcher Aviation continues to advance its position in the eVTOL market through strategic acquisitions, infrastructure development and successful flight demonstrations aimed at accelerating the commercialization of electric air taxis.
In September 2026, Archer Aviation announced the expiration of the Hart-Scott-Rodino waiting period for its planned acquisition of Boeing’s Wisk Aero, SkyGrid and Insitu subsidiaries. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2026, subject to remaining regulatory approvals and other customary conditions.
Archer Aviation is also building the infrastructure needed for commercial eVTOL operations. The America’s Consortium for Electric Skyways (ACES), launched by Archer Aviation, BETA Technologies and Macquarie Capital, plans to expand interoperable charging infrastructure across Texas and support up to 250 air taxi sites across major airports and metropolitan areas over the next decade.
Meanwhile, Midnight continues to demonstrate progress toward commercial readiness. In September 2026, the aircraft completed a roughly 40-mile roundtrip flight between Salinas and Hollister, CA, in about 12 minutes each way, reaching speeds of 125 mph. These developments could strengthen Archer Aviation’s commercialization outlook as regulatory support, infrastructure and flight testing continue to advance.
Estimates for ACHR’s 2026 Sales and EarningsThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for ACHR’s 2026 sales implies year-over-year growth of 5467.7%. The consensus estimate for its 2026 losses indicates a year-over-year decline.

ACHR’s ValuationIn terms of valuation, ACHR’s forward 12-month price-to-sales (P/S) is 30.89X, a premium to the industry average of 2.07X. This suggests that investors will be paying a higher price than the company's expected sales growth compared with its industry average.
Virgin Galactic and Embraer are trading at a discount in comparison with ACHR. SPCE’s forward 12-month price-to-sales is 2.09X, while EMBJ’s forward 12-month price-to-sales is 1.47X.
Liquidity Position of ACHRACHR has a current ratio of 10.21. The ratio, being more than one, indicates that ACHR possesses sufficient capital to pay off its short-term debt obligations.
Its industry peers, Virgin Galactic and Embraer, also maintain current ratios above one. SPCE has a current ratio of 1.62, while EMBJ also holds 1.44.
What Should an Investor Do?ACHR’s demand and healthy liquidity position provide a solid foundation for long-term growth. However, the stock’s premium valuation relative to the industry and key peers may limit its near-term upside potential.
Considering these strengths alongside valuation concerns, existing shareholders may consider holding the stock, while prospective investors could wait for a more attractive entry point. Tracking ACHR’s earnings growth, valuation and execution will remain important when evaluating a new investment.

Arm shares have surged nearly 177% this year, every major AI platform runs its chips, and customer demand for its flagship CPU just blew past management's own projections. So why does one closely watched model signal caution?
This post may contain links from our sponsors and affiliates, and Flywheel Publishing may receive compensation for actions taken through them.
The 24/7 Wall St. price target for Arm Holdings (NASDAQ:ARM | ARM Price Prediction) is $284.70. That sits 5.9% below the current price of $302.56, and our model sets that target with high confidence.
24/7 Wall St. Price Target Summary Metric Value Current Price $302.56 Price Target from 24/7 Wall St. $284.70 Upside/Downside -5.9% Model Signal HOLD Confidence Level 90% Arm trades above both our target and the $290.70 consensus. Customer demand for the Arm AGI CPU now exceeds $2 billion, well ahead of the $1 billion opportunity management outlined.
The investment case depends on that gap between stretched near-term valuation and a long-term opportunity that keeps expanding.
Why We Could Be Wrong Our target sits below current trading levels. Real value could come from AGI CPU revenue growing faster than modeled, or from a CPU market that external estimates put as high as $200 billion and $220 billion. The bull case below explains how Arm could beat our model.
Data Center Wins Power Arm’s Massive 2026 Rally Arm is up 176.79% year to date and 20.02% over the past month. Shares sit about 33% below the 52-week high of $452.70.
Fiscal Q1 2027 revenue of $1.289 billion rose 22.4% and beat the $1.267 billion consensus. Data center royalty revenue more than doubled. Non-GAAP EPS of 45 cents came in above guidance. For fiscal Q2, Arm guided to revenue of $1.38 billion, plus or minus $50 million.
Agentic AI Could Carry Arm Toward $428 The bull case of $428.53 assumes Arm becomes the default CPU for AI infrastructure. Neoverse shipments have passed 1.5 billion cores, with the latest 500 million taking nine months versus six years for the first billion.
NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) Vera, Google Axion, AWS Graviton5, and Microsoft Cobalt 200 all run on Arm. Meta leads the AGI CPU roadmap. CEO Rene Haas said, “Demand is greater than what we shared 90 days ago.” Analysts lean bullish with 8 Strong Buy and 21 Buy ratings.
Margin Dilution and a Rich Multiple Leave Little Room for Error The bear case of $226.30 reflects how much optimism is priced in. GAAP operating margin fell to 7% from 11%, and stock-based compensation reached $343 million. Initial AGI CPU gross margins should land in the high 30% range, maybe low 40s.
Smartphone demand has pulled full-year royalty growth toward the high teens. The Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM) licensing trial is expected in Q4 2026.
Non-GAAP operating margin rose 200 basis points to about 41%. Much spending goes into the AGI CPU family, and trailing 12-month free cash flow reached $1.4 billion.

Key Takeaways Shake Shack plans 40 Brazil locations by 2036, with its first Sao Paulo restaurant set to open in 2027.The Bold Hospitality partnership leverages local expertise and suppliers to support SHAK's Brazil entry.SHAK's Q2 licensing revenues rose 7.1% to $14.2M, supporting its goal of 40-45 licensed openings in 2026. Shake Shack Inc. (SHAK - Free Report) is expanding its footprint in Latin America through a new licensing partnership with Bold Hospitality Company to enter Brazil. The move marks another milestone in the company's international growth strategy, following seven years of operations in Mexico and its planned expansion into Panama.
Brazil has been among Shake Shack's most requested international markets. The planned entry is expected to broaden brand awareness, attract new customers and create additional growth opportunities across the region.
Shake Shack Partners With Bold Hospitality for Brazil ExpansionUnder the agreement, Shake Shack plans to develop 40 locations across Brazil by 2036, with its first restaurant scheduled to open in São Paulo in 2027. The planned rollout is expected to deepen the company's presence in Latin America while creating a new avenue for long-term licensing revenues.
Bold Hospitality Company, a São Paulo-based hospitality operator, brings extensive experience in Brazil's restaurant industry. The company operates brands such as Outback Steakhouse, Abbraccio and Aussie and expects to end 2026 with 217 restaurants across 22 states and the Federal District.
The partnership will combine Shake Shack's premium fast-casual positioning with Bold Hospitality's local market expertise and established restaurant operations. Shake Shack also plans to work with Brazilian producers and suppliers to deliver its signature offerings, including ShackBurger, Chicken Shack, crinkle-cut fries and frozen custard, while incorporating local flavors.
International Expansion Supports SHAK's Growth StrategyThe Brazil agreement aligns with Shake Shack's broader strategy of accelerating global development through licensing partnerships. The company operates more than 740 locations worldwide, including approximately 475 across 36 U.S. states and the District of Columbia and more than 265 international locations.
The licensed business continues to support the company's expansion efforts. In the second quarter of 2026, licensing revenues increased 7.1% year over year to $14.2 million, while total licensing sales rose 7.6% to $222.4 million. Shake Shack opened eight net new licensed restaurants during the quarter and continues to target 40-45 licensed openings for 2026. Management highlighted strong licensed-business performance in Canada, the United Kingdom and parts of China, despite geopolitical disruptions affecting operations in the Middle East.
Shares of SHAK have gained 13.9% in the past three months against the Zacks Retail - Restaurants industry’s 14.9% dip. Shake Shack continues to benefit from restaurant expansion, positive traffic trends, digital engagement and a growing international footprint. However, elevated beef prices, higher operating costs and intense competition remain concerns. Geopolitical instability in the Middle East also continues to pressure licensed operations.

JB Hunt očekává za čtvrtletí zisk na akcii (EPS) ve výši 1,95 USD, což představuje meziroční nárůst o 10,8 %, a tržby ve výši 3,55 miliardy USD, tedy růst o 16,4 %.
JB Hunt (JBHT - Free Report) is expected to deliver a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended September 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook gives a good sense of the company's earnings picture, but how the actual results compare to these estimates is a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price.
The earnings report, which is expected to be released on October 15, might help the stock move higher if these key numbers are better than expectations. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.
While the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call, it's worth handicapping the probability of a positive EPS surprise.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis trucking and logistics company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $1.95 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +10.8%.
Revenues are expected to be $3.55 billion, up 16.4% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 5.37% lower over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.
Investors should keep in mind that an aggregate change may not always reflect the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts.
Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise
Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. Our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) -- has this insight at its core.
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for JB Hunt? For JB Hunt, the Most Accurate Estimate is lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bearish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of -6.99%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that JB Hunt will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that JB Hunt would post earnings of $1.71 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.91, delivering a surprise of +11.70%.
JB Hunt doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

3 Fresh Stock Buybacks: These are the Ones to BuyHelen of Troy NASDAQ: HELE reported fiscal second-quarter 2027 results that met its sales outlook and exceeded its adjusted earnings expectations, aided by growth in its Home & Outdoor segment, improving cash flow and a net benefit from tariff refunds that the company plans largely to reinvest.
Chief Executive Officer Scott Uzzell said the company remains focused on a multiyear effort to strengthen its operating foundation before pursuing broader growth. “Our recovery will not be linear,” Uzzell said, describing fiscal 2027 as a year for demonstrating progress in brand growth, marketplace execution, organizational capabilities and balance-sheet discipline.
Get Helen of Troy alerts:
Sales growth led by Home & Outdoor Helen of Troy and NanoString Technologies Trade Set-ups Consolidated sales increased 2.1% in the second quarter, in line with management’s outlook. Home & Outdoor sales rose 9.2%, with growth across Osprey, OXO and Hydro Flask. Beauty & Wellness sales declined 4.5%, as growth in wellness and nail care was more than offset by declines across the remainder of the Beauty business.
Uzzell said Osprey again led growth within Home & Outdoor, supported by consumer demand, product introductions and improvements in international distribution. OXO benefited from inventory-composition actions, distribution gains and new products, while Hydro Flask was aided by inventory actions, innovation and a partial recovery of tariff-related disruption in its corporate channel.
Helen Of Troy Is What We Fear Most About Q2 Earnings International sales rose 3.7%, led by Hydro Flask, OXO and Osprey. The company cited new products, expanded distribution and improved execution in selected markets, including a new Australian distributor.
Within Beauty & Wellness, management highlighted growth at Vicks and Braun, supported by distribution gains, comparisons with prior tariff-related items and new products. Olive & June also posted another solid quarter, driven by consumer demand, replenishment orders and new or expanded distribution.
However, Uzzell said some Beauty brands continue to face softer demand and require additional work on commercial execution and demand creation. During the quarter, the company appointed a new leader for the Beauty & Wellness business.
Tariff refunds lift profitability, fund reinvestment Chief Financial Officer Brian Grass said second-quarter results included approximately $26.9 million of gross pretax tariff refunds. After planned reinvestment, the company recorded an estimated net pretax benefit of about $4 million, equal to roughly $0.12 per diluted share after tax.
For the full fiscal year, Helen of Troy expects gross refunds covering the full amount of paid IEEPA tariffs of $80.5 million. The company plans to reinvest between $66.5 million and $70.5 million, resulting in an estimated net pretax benefit of $10 million to $14 million and an adjusted diluted EPS benefit of $0.30 to $0.45.
Management said it intends to use the funds for foundational and longer-term investments, including brand-building, product development, packaging, consumer insights, growth strategy and inventory cleanup. Grass said about 25% of the spending is expected to generate a fiscal 2027 return, while other investments are intended to better position the company for fiscal 2028.
Grass cautioned that the refunds do not fully offset the broader cumulative impact of tariffs. The company has also faced unreimbursed tariffs, supply-chain diversification expenses, longer lead times, disruption to certain revenue streams and higher interest expense associated with cash tariff payments.
Consolidated gross margin increased 800 basis points to 52.2%. The company attributed approximately 560 basis points of the gain to tariff refunds net of higher tariff costs, along with lower retail trade and promotional spending. These benefits were partly offset by inflation in commodities, fuel, freight, currency and supply availability, as well as less favorable inventory obsolescence.
The SG&A ratio increased 540 basis points to 46.4%, reflecting tariff-refund reinvestment, spending on the organization, go-to-market structure and brands, as well as higher packaging costs and divestiture litigation costs. Adjusted EBITDA increased $13.2 million, while adjusted EBITDA margin improved 280 basis points.
Balance sheet improves as inventory and debt decline Helen of Troy generated $56.5 million in cash flow from operations and $38 million in free cash flow during the first half. Inventory ended the quarter at $480 million, down $49 million from a year earlier. The percentage of active inventory improved by seven percentage points in the first half, and management is targeting a 12-percentage-point improvement by year-end.
Total debt fell to $673 million, down $221 million from the prior-year period and $108 million since the beginning of the fiscal year. Net leverage declined to 3.0 times from 3.5 times at the end of the first quarter. The company now expects to end fiscal 2027 with net leverage of 2.7 times or lower.
Full-year outlook revised The company narrowed its fiscal 2027 net sales outlook to $1.768 billion to $1.822 billion. It expects Home & Outdoor sales of $851 million to $876 million and Beauty & Wellness sales of $917 million to $946 million.
Base-business adjusted EBITDA guidance was maintained at $193 million to $196 million. Consolidated adjusted EBITDA guidance was raised to $203 million to $210 million, including the net tariff-refund benefit. Base-business adjusted EPS guidance was narrowed to $3.30 to $3.70. Consolidated adjusted EPS guidance was raised to $3.60 to $4.15. Free cash flow guidance was raised to $120 million to $140 million, despite a $9 million increase in planned capital expenditures. For the third quarter, Helen of Troy expects sales of $478.3 million to $504.5 million and consolidated adjusted EPS of $2.05 to $2.40. That estimate includes a projected tariff-refund benefit of $0.66 to $0.77 per share, as the company expects to recognize its remaining $51.8 million in gross IEEPA tariff refunds during the quarter.
Management said the outlook reflects continuing inflationary and supply-disruption risks related largely to conflict in the Middle East, as well as elevated fuel costs, higher interest and mortgage rates, discretionary-category softness, cautious retailer inventory management and a more promotional competitive environment.
Uzzell said the company remains confident in its strongest brands but expects a challenging consumer environment. He said Hydro Flask faces a more saturated and promotional beverageware market, while management seeks to maintain the brand’s premium positioning through consumer messaging, product innovation and expansion into adjacent categories.

The collaboration also supports 10x Genomics’ broader efforts to build evidence for clinical applications of its single-cell and spatial technologies. Together with the company’s planned CLIA-certified laboratory, the initiative is expected to contribute to a framework for clinical reporting and help define how cellular and spatial data could support treatment planning in oncology and autoimmune disease.

Pagaya v roce 2026 zvýšila objem emisí ABS nad 9 mld. USD, přestože rozšiřuje alternativní způsoby financování; sekuritizace tak zůstává jejím klíčovým zdrojem financování.
Key Takeaways Pagaya raised $3.7B across six ABS deals in Q2'26 and added 11 institutional investors.PGY secured major auto, personal-loan and receivables facilities to broaden funding flexibility.Pagaya's 2026 ABS issuance topped $9B, showing securitization remains central to its funding model. Pagaya Technologies (PGY - Free Report) is steadily broadening its funding base, which could make its capital model more resilient. In second-quarter 2026, it raised $3.7 billion across six asset-backed securities (ABS) transactions and added 11 new institutional investors, taking the total to 174. At the same time, the company is expanding committed-capital structures outside traditional securitization markets, improving funding flexibility and visibility.
Recent transactions reinforce this shift. Pagaya secured up to $700 million in auto funding from Neuberger Specialty Finance, a nearly $700-million Variable Funding Note facility with ATLAS SP Partners and a $460-million revolving personal-loan facility expected to support about $850 million in capital deployment. It also expanded its ALPF receivables facility to $100 million. Together, these arrangements broaden funding flexibility and reduce reliance on the timing of public securitizations.
That flexibility could become increasingly important as Pagaya scales across personal loans, auto and point-of-sale financing. Its auto business reached an annualized network-volume run rate of $4.8 billion in the second quarter, while total quarterly network volume was $3.5 billion. Management has indicated that a growing portion of funding now comes through non-prefunded structures, including forward-flow and revolving arrangements. A broader mix of committed funding sources could help Pagaya better match different asset classes with different pools of institutional capital and reduce execution risk during periods when securitization spreads widen or investor demand weakens.
However, the company is not moving away from ABS in any meaningful sense yet. A few days ago, Pagaya completed a $600-million AAA-rated personal-loan securitization, lifting 2026 ABS issuance to more than $9 billion, including more than $6 billion tied to personal loans. The transaction drew 47 investors, including three new participants, underscoring continued demand for Pagaya-backed assets. Importantly, some of the newer funding structures are designed to bridge loans into eventual securitizations, meaning they can support the ABS model rather than substitute for it.
Hence, Pagaya appears to be building a more diversified funding architecture rather than replacing securitization. Forward-flow agreements, revolving facilities and warehouse-style structures should improve capital availability and reduce funding concentration risk, which is constructive for growth and execution. Still, record ABS issuance shows that securitization remains a core funding engine.
Comparing Pagaya’s Business Model With PeersLike PGY, Upstart Holdings, Inc. (UPST - Free Report) is an artificial intelligence (AI)-based lending platform that aspires to become capital-light but often holds loans on its balance sheet temporarily. The company’s core business model involves finding financing for loans after its network of bank and institutional partners originates them.
Upstart partner banks can finance the loan by keeping it on their balance sheet. The bank can sell the whole loan on Upstart’s platform or use forward flow agreements from institutions that commit to buying a specific volume or type of loan originated on the Upstart platform in the future.
Upstart also uses securitization, wherein pools of loans are bundled together and sold as ABS to institutional investors. However, the firm frequently reverts to a balance-sheet-heavy model, especially in tight liquidity markets, making it more volatile and exposed to macro cycles.
Another close competitor of PGY is LendingTree (TREE - Free Report) . But unlike PGY, LendingTree is a marketplace platform, not a lender. It matches consumers with financial product providers like mortgages, personal loans, credit cards and insurance.
LendingTree does not underwrite, originate or hold loans. Hence, its balance sheet is not credit-heavy. TREE’s balance sheet is detached from revenue generation. The company is primarily structured to support a fee-based digital marketplace, not balance sheet lending.
PGY’s Price Performance, Valuation & Estimate AnalysisOver the past six months, Pagaya shares have gained 51.9%, outperforming the industry’s growth.
The stock is currently trading at a 12-month forward price-to-sales of 0.94X, which is below the industry average of 2.70X.

Over the past seven days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate for PGY’s 2026 and 2027 earnings has been unchanged at $3.68 and $4.13, respectively. The consensus estimate indicates 11.2% and 12.2% year-over-year growth for 2026 and 2027, respectively.

On September 11, 2026, UBS downgraded NuScale from "Neutral" to "Sell" and lowered its price target from $10 to $6. UBS analyst Jon Windham opined that NuScale is rapidly losing its "first-mover" advantage in small modular reactor (SMR) technology to faster-moving competitors. UBS also flagged a lengthy five-year build timeline, a critical lack of firm customer commitments, and projected a massive $700 million in negative free cash flow between 2026 and 2028. The report also described stagnating progress regarding NuScale's key RoPower project in Romania and its partnership with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).
On this news, NuScale's stock price fell $1.60 per share, or 15.67%, to close at $8.61 per share on September 11, 2026.

Nebius ve 2. čtvrtletí zvýšil tržby o 454 % na 582,3 mil. USD a překonal konsenzus, ale vykázal čistou ztrátu 190,4 mil. USD při plánovaných kapitálových výdajích 20–25 mld. USD.
Nebius has already signed tens of billions in AI compute contracts, crushed revenue estimates, and handed investors a triple-digit return this year, but its balance sheet carries threats that could unwind everything before 2027 arrives.
This post may contain links from our sponsors and affiliates, and Flywheel Publishing may receive compensation for actions taken through them.
Nebius Group (NASDAQ:NBIS | NBIS Price Prediction) trades at $237.15. The AI cloud provider is converting a $37.49 billion contract backlog into revenue rapidly, giving investors direct exposure to AI compute demand outside mega caps.
Nebius leases GPU compute, storage and inference tools through Nebius AI Cloud, which produced 98% of group revenue last quarter. Anchor contracts include a $27 billion five-year Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) agreement and a Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) deal valued at $17.4 billion to $19.4 billion. NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) committed $2 billion strategically. Shares are up 183.32% year to date but fell 5.09% in the latest session.
A Sold-Out Cloud With Rising Prices Points Higher Second-quarter revenue rose 454% to $582.3 million, beating the $574.65 million consensus. Group adjusted EBITDA came in at $236 million with a 41% margin versus a $21 million loss a year earlier. Management confirmed its $7 billion to $9 billion ARR target for 2026 and raised its year-end contracted power goal to 5 gigawatts.
Pricing power is growing. The company’s first capacity auction cleared 15% above its previous top price. At a forward P/E of 46 and consensus 2027 revenue of roughly $12.3 billion, the valuation leans on expected growth.
Billions in Capex and Convertible Debt Threaten Shareholders Nebius posted a GAAP net loss of $190.4 million. Consensus EPS is -$2.2773 for 2026 and -$5.6426 for 2027. Capex guidance is $20 billion to $25 billion, and quarterly interest expense rose to $119.1 million from $4.8 million.
Convertible debt has a fair value of $20.8 billion against a $8.5 billion carrying amount, which points to heavy potential dilution. Three customers made up for 24%, 21%, and 14% of revenue. In the first quarter, revenue fell short of estimates by 32.74%. At 50 times sales, the stock cannot afford another miss.
Third-Quarter Results Will Test Whether Growth Can Fund Itself The case for patience rests on operations working while profits remain a forecast. Nebius sells out new capacity as it comes online and expects more than $9 billion in customer prepayments this year. GAAP losses continue, though, and the company carries $12.1 billion in future lease obligations.
Consensus calls for about $904 million in third-quarter revenue. A beat and solid 2027 outlook would strengthen the bull case. A miss or new convertible offering would strengthen the bear case.
Wall Street Sees Upside After a Market-Beating Run Nebius trades at $237.15. The consensus target of $282.53 implies 19.1% upside. Price targets are uncertain, and this one reflects 10 analysts:
Strong Buy: 2 Buy: 6 Hold: 1 Sell: 1 The stock has gained 101.49% over the past year versus 16.16% for the S&P 500. Year to date, Nebius is up 183.32% compared with a gain of 13.98% for the index. Momentum has slowed. Over the past week, Nebius gained 0.54% versus 1.92% for the index. Shares remain below their 52-week high of $299.86.
Nebius Faces Its Biggest Test as 2027 Pricing Comes Into Focus At $237.15, Nebius trades below its consensus target.
The path to a higher stock price runs through the next three quarters. Capacity installed late in the second quarter starts adding revenue in the third. Deals signed at yields above $20 million per megawatt, with payback periods under two years, start coming online in late Q4. Vera Rubin systems should begin deploying in late 2026 or early 2027.
Customer prepayments cover 50% to 60% of related capex, reducing the need for new equity. With shares trading well below their high as margins expand, the outlook depends on execution.
The thesis fails if third-quarter revenue misses, a top customer pulls back or Nebius issues another large convertible. Watch progress toward the ARR target.
Nebius offers scaled, pure-play access to AI compute demand outside the chipmakers, and the current price reflects a backlog of more than $37 billion (we featured seven other non-chipmaker suppliers riding the same expansion, accessible without charge at here).

BlackSky získala pilotní kontrakt v hodnotě stovek tisíc dolarů na poskytování satelitních snímků Gen-3 novému zahraničnímu zákazníkovi ze zpravodajské oblasti.
BlackSky Wins Six-Figure Gen-3 On-Demand Pilot Contract with New International Intelligence Customer BlackSky Technology Inc. (NYSE: BKSY) won a six-figure Gen-3 On-Demand pilot imagery services contract with a new international intelligence customer, expanding the company’s operational footprint with a major sovereign partner in a critical strategic region.
“The rapid adoption of our advanced Gen-3 capabilities underscores a fundamental shift in how global defense and intelligence ministries utilize commercial space-based assets,” said Brian O’Toole, BlackSky CEO. “By delivering best-in-class 35-centimeter resolution imagery with the flexibility and agility of BlackSky Spectra, we are providing strategic and tactical ISR services at industry leading speed and scale for decision superiority. Our fully automated, low-latency architecture compresses the decision loop, providing the highest-quality, time-diverse data exactly when and where it’s needed most to mitigate operational ambiguity.”
Under the new short period-of-performance contract, the intelligence agency will gain flexible, global very high-resolution tasking capacity to monitor multiple locations with exceptional clarity. The integrated service feeds automated intelligence directly into cross-domain secure workflows, leveraging a growing constellation of operational Gen-3 satellites.
BlackSky's continued international expansion aligns with its established “land-and-expand” business strategy as Gen-3 pilot programs quickly scale into major, multi-year subscription commitments. As fast-moving geopolitical environments drive national security requirements, defense and intelligence customers are increasingly prioritizing immediate access to advanced commercial space-based intelligence capabilities as they develop sovereign systems. Because very high-resolution electro-optical imagery remains a scarce commodity globally, international entities are moving quickly to secure tasking capacity when and where they need it.
BlackSky’s vertically integrated satellite manufacturing and AI-driven software architecture offers secure, flexible access to imagery and AI-analytics through On-Demand and Assured subscription services or full sovereign systems. BlackSky maintains a steady deployment schedule for Gen-3 with plans for additional satellites on orbit by the end of 2026 that will continue to boost capacity, increase revisit rates and compress delivery timelines.

Applied Digital má nasmlouvané výnosy v hodnotě 36 mld. USD z kapacity 1,41 GW, ale její růst závisí na financování a dokončení rozestavěných projektů AI.
Key Takeaways APLD's $36B contracted revenue base spans 1.41 GW across five campuses, backed by long-term leases.APLD expects over 600 MW online within 12 months, following a 322% surge in fiscal first-quarter revenues.APLD faces financing and construction risks, while Core Scientific and TeraWulf intensify competition. Applied Digital (APLD - Free Report) has a substantial foundation for long-term growth from its $36 billion contracted revenue base, provided it can convert contracted capacity into operating assets and recurring revenues. As of Aug. 31, 2026, APLD had approximately 1.41 GW of contracted critical IT load across five campuses, representing about $36 billion of contracted revenues over initial base terms. The portfolio is backed by CoreWeave and investment-grade hyperscalers, with leases generally structured for 15 years and on a take-or-pay basis.
The company is beginning to demonstrate this conversion. Polaris Forge 1 reached 250 MW of operational capacity on Oct. 1, while APLD expects to place more than 600 MW into service over the next 12 months. First-quarter fiscal 2027 revenues surged 322% year over year to $341.9 million, while HPC Hosting generated $262.6 million, including $65.8 million of base rent.
However, investors should not equate the backlog with immediately realized revenues. Much of the contracted capacity remains under construction, while APLD had $6.4 billion of debt and $3.7 billion in cash, cash equivalents and restricted cash at quarter-end. Customer concentration and construction and financing requirements remain important risks.
Overall, APLD's $36 billion contracted revenue base can support long-term growth, but sustained growth depends on successfully financing, completing and bringing contracted AI capacity online while increasing recurring base-rent revenues. The growth outlook is also reflected in the Zacks Consensus Estimate, which projects for fiscal 2027 and 2028 revenue growth of 49.67% and 107.93%, respectively, underscoring the potential for APLD's expanding AI infrastructure portfolio to translate its contracted revenue base into substantial top-line growth.
APLD Faces Stiff Competition in Contracted Revenue BaseCore Scientific (CORZ - Free Report) is narrowing APLD’s contracted-revenue lead, with more than $24 billion in contracted revenues and about 1.1 GW of contracted capacity. Core Scientific also added an AMD agreement representing over $14 billion of base contracted revenues across 15 years. With expansion potential beyond current commitments, Core Scientific presents a growing contracted-revenue challenge to APLD.
TeraWulf (WULF - Free Report) , meanwhile, is building substantial contracted visibility, reporting roughly $27 billion of contracted revenues and 839 MW of leased capacity. TeraWulf’s 401-MW Anthropic lease contributes approximately $19 billion over 20 years, and the company targets another 250-500 MW of annual contracted capacity growth. This combination gives TeraWulf a credible path to challenge APLD’s contracted-revenue growth narrative.
APLD’s Share Price Performance, Valuation & EstimatesShares of APLD have lost 2.9% year to date, underperforming the broader Zacks Finance sector’s 4.2% rise.

From a valuation standpoint, APLD trades at a trailing twelve-month price-to-book (P/B) ratio of 4.02, higher than the Finance – Miscellaneous Services industry’s 2.96. The company carries a Value Score of F. A price-to-book ratio above 1.0 means the stock is trading at a premium to its accounting net worth.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Applied Digital’s fiscal 2027 bottom line is currently pegged at a loss of $1.09 per share, unchanged over the past 30 days. The projected loss is wider than the 91-cent loss recorded a year ago.
Needham snížil cílovou cenu akcií Applied Digital (APLD) z 83 USD na 70 USD kvůli financování, přesto firma v prvním fiskálním čtvrtletí meziročně více než čtyřnásobně zvýšila tržby na 342 milionů USD.
Buy Applied Digital (APLD). Q1 showed real traction: revenue >4x YoY and only a 1-cent per-share loss, plus new 75MW capacity coming online. Needham cut the target mainly for financing/capex overhangs, which the market is already pricing—so the upside is in balance-sheet execution as lease cash flows start to stabilize. Thesis killer: A financing cycle forces repeated dilutive equity or covenant-driven restructuring before lease revenue meaningfully ramps, keeping the discount permanently.
Key Risk: Dilution or covenant trouble from continued expensive financing before lease cash flows ramp.
AI data-center lease beneficiaries
Buy a basket proxy for hyperscaler AI infrastructure demand: Equinix (EQIX). The news reinforces that hyperscalers keep demanding power-and-capacity buildout; EQIX is positioned to monetize that demand with more mature cash flows and less “build-and-fund” execution risk than APLD. Thesis killer: AI infrastructure demand slows or pricing power weakens, causing lease growth to disappoint and compress multiples.
Key Risk: AI data-center demand/pricing weakens enough to stall lease growth and compress margins.
Needham analyst John Todaro trimmed his price target on Applied Digital APLD on October 8th even though the AI infrastructure firm reported a blockbuster Q1 last evening.
The company more than quadrupled its revenue on a year-over-year basis to $342 million, on a per share loss of just one cent, miles above $116 million and 29 cents per share that analysts had called for.
Despite the remarkable print, Applied Digital shares are trading at less than half their price in late May.
Todaro trimmed his price target from $83 to $70 primarily to reflect near-term financing overhangs and capital expenditure risks.
While Applied Digital’s top-line growth was extraordinary, the infrastructure builder posted a net loss of $221 million due to rising interest expenses and heavy build-out costs across its data center campuses.
Funding massive HPC and AI capacity requires substantial debt and capital raises, which has kept retail and institutional investors cautious.
Needham adjusted its price objective on APLD stock to account for these elevated borrowing costs and potential dilution – acknowledging that sentiment remains heavily constrained by the balance sheet overhead required to bring new gigawatt capacity online.
Investors should note, however, that Needham’s downwardly revised $70 price target still signals potential upside of more than 200% in Applied Digital shares.
The investment firm maintained its “Buy” rating on the company – citing its expanding $36 billion lease pipeline and its crucial role in providing next-generation HPC infrastructure to hyperscalers.
APLD delivered the second 75-megawatt phase of Building 2 at its Polaris Forge 1 campus on Oct. 1st, proving that new data center capacity is coming online much faster than expected.
As long-term leases begin generating steady cash flows, Needham expects the market to eventually revalue the company like a stabilized digital infrastructure landlord.
APLD shares’ longer-term trajectory will now depend more on balance sheet execution.
Hyperscaler appetite for AI compute power is undeniable – but the Nasdaq-listed firm must show that contracted rental revenue will materialize fast enough to service its expanding debt load.
If management successfully converts its 1.41 gigawatt lease book into recurring operating cash flow without issuing dilutive equity, the stock’s steep valuation discount could disappear quickly.
Conversely, further debt rate pressure remains the primary swing factor keeping shares suppressed.
For long-term investors, the current sell-off presents a high-conviction risk-reward entry backed by fundamental multi-year demand drivers.
All in all, while not as bullish as Needham, other Wall Street firms are sticking with their bullish view on Applied Digital as well.
The consensus rating on APLD sits at Buy currently, with a mean price target of about $63, which suggests massive upside potential from here.
CoreWeave vybuduje v kampusu AdaniConneX Taloja v Indii AI datová centra o výkonu 240 MW; první fáze zahrnující tři budovy po 80 MW má zahájit provoz v polovině roku 2028.
Key Takeaways CoreWeave is entering India with 240 MW of AI data center capacity at AdaniConneX's Taloja campus. The project includes three 80 MW buildings, with the first phase expected to be operational in mid-2028.CoreWeave plans to deploy NVIDIA Vera Rubin, targeting agentic AI and inference workloads in India. CoreWeave, Inc. (CRWV - Free Report) recently took a major step in its global expansion strategy by entering India, announcing plans to develop 240 MW of AI data center capacity through a collaboration with AdaniConneX at its Taloja campus in Navi Mumbai. The move comes as demand for AI computing infrastructure accelerates globally and India emerges as a booming market for AI development, cloud computing and data center investment. The expansion is likely to be a key growth catalyst for CoreWeave, but its benefits will depend on how quickly the company can bring capacity online, secure customers and monetize increasingly powerful AI infrastructure.
Per the deal, the initial deployment will consist of three 80 MW buildings, with CoreWeave serving as the sole tenant. The campus also has the potential to double capacity by another 240 MW, giving the company a possible total expansion opportunity of 480 MW. The first phase is expected to become operational in mid-2028, with additional capacity coming online in phases. A key aspect of the announcement is its plan to deploy the NVIDIA Vera Rubin Platform. Recently, CRWV expanded beyond GPUs with NVIDIA Vera and Vera Rubin, targeting agentic AI and inference workloads while deepening its infrastructure strategy. Deploying next-generation NVIDIA infrastructure in India could give customers access to advanced AI computing without requiring them to make massive upfront infrastructure investments.
CoreWeave has been aggressively building a global footprint across North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific. The company's entry into Indonesia in August represents another step in that strategy. As stated on its second-quarter earnings call, CoreWeave has approximately 4.2 GW of contracted power. The India project is likely to fit into a broader strategy of secure power, build specialized data centers, deploy advanced NVIDIA hardware and provide AI infrastructure close to customers. The model can create a powerful competitive position if CoreWeave maintains high utilization and attractive pricing.
Mapping CRWV’s Competitive LandscapeNebius Group (NBIS - Free Report) recently acquired Inferize to strengthen production inference capabilities within Token Factory. Inferize aims to cut cold-start delays, reduce idle GPU time and improve capacity utilization. The deal adds GPU systems expertise as Nebius expands inference and post-training workloads. It plans to invest £1.7 billion in U.K. AI infrastructure, adding three advanced NVIDIA-powered deployments to support growing AI demand. NBIS recently partnered with Palantir for AI-native cloud infrastructure. Under the agreement, Nebius will provide AI compute and inference infrastructure to Palantir’s commercial customers. NBIS expects connected power capacity to reach roughly 800 MW to 1 GW by 2026 end.
Microsoft (MSFT - Free Report) continued expanding its partnerships across AI, cloud and enterprise technology. The company broadened its decade-long partnership with Databricks into the 2030s, while expanding ties with Mistral to bring its models across Microsoft Foundry, Copilot Studio and Azure. Microsoft also partnered with 3M on AI data-center infrastructure and enterprise transformation, with Azure set to deploy 3M’s Expanded Beam Optical technology. Its partnership with NASA entails applying AI tools to scientific data discovery. Microsoft also struck an AI content agreement with Nine Entertainment, allowing Copilot to reference its journalism, while its OpenAI relationship continues under an IP arrangement extending to 2032.
