Super Micro Computer (SMCI - Free Report) is one of the stocks most watched by Zacks.com visitors lately. So, it might be a good idea to review some of the factors that might affect the near-term performance of the stock.
Shares of this server technology company have returned -23.3% over the past month versus the Zacks S&P 500 composite's -1.4% change. The Zacks Computer- Storage Devices industry, to which Super Micro belongs, has gained 44.1% over this period. Now the key question is: Where could the stock be headed in the near term?
While media releases or rumors about a substantial change in a company's business prospects usually make its stock 'trending' and lead to an immediate price change, there are always some fundamental facts that eventually dominate the buy-and-hold decision-making.
Earnings Estimate RevisionsRather than focusing on anything else, we at Zacks prioritize evaluating the change in a company's earnings projection. This is because we believe the fair value for its stock is determined by the present value of its future stream of earnings.
We essentially look at how sell-side analysts covering the stock are revising their earnings estimates to reflect the impact of the latest business trends. And if earnings estimates go up for a company, the fair value for its stock goes up. A higher fair value than the current market price drives investors' interest in buying the stock, leading to its price moving higher. This is why empirical research shows a strong correlation between trends in earnings estimate revisions and near-term stock price movements.
For the current quarter, Super Micro is expected to post earnings of $0.70 per share, indicating a change of +70.7% from the year-ago quarter. The Zacks Consensus Estimate has changed +0.1% over the last 30 days.
The consensus earnings estimate of $2.59 for the current fiscal year indicates a year-over-year change of +25.7%. This estimate has changed +0.9% over the last 30 days.
For the next fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $3.21 indicates a change of +24.2% from what Super Micro is expected to report a year ago. Over the past month, the estimate has changed -1.2%.
With an impressive externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool -- the Zacks Rank -- is a more conclusive indicator of a stock's near-term price performance, as it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions. The size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, has resulted in a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) for Super Micro.
The chart below shows the evolution of the company's forward 12-month consensus EPS estimate:
12 Month EPS
Projected Revenue GrowthEven though a company's earnings growth is arguably the best indicator of its financial health, nothing much happens if it cannot raise its revenues. It's almost impossible for a company to grow its earnings without growing its revenue for long periods. Therefore, knowing a company's potential revenue growth is crucial.
In the case of Super Micro, the consensus sales estimate of $11.7 billion for the current quarter points to a year-over-year change of +103.3%. The $39.67 billion and $51.03 billion estimates for the current and next fiscal years indicate changes of +80.5% and +28.7%, respectively.
Last Reported Results and Surprise HistorySuper Micro reported revenues of $10.24 billion in the last reported quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +122.7%. EPS of $0.84 for the same period compares with $0.31 a year ago.
Compared to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $12.36 billion, the reported revenues represent a surprise of -17.14%. The EPS surprise was +33.33%.
Over the last four quarters, Super Micro surpassed consensus EPS estimates three times. The company topped consensus revenue estimates just once over this period.
ValuationWithout considering a stock's valuation, no investment decision can be efficient. In predicting a stock's future price performance, it's crucial to determine whether its current price correctly reflects the intrinsic value of the underlying business and the company's growth prospects.
Comparing the current value of a company's valuation multiples, such as its price-to-earnings (P/E), price-to-sales (P/S), and price-to-cash flow (P/CF), to its own historical values helps ascertain whether its stock is fairly valued, overvalued, or undervalued, whereas comparing the company relative to its peers on these parameters gives a good sense of how reasonable its stock price is.
As part of the Zacks Style Scores system, the Zacks Value Style Score (which evaluates both traditional and unconventional valuation metrics) organizes stocks into five groups ranging from A to F (A is better than B; B is better than C; and so on), making it helpful in identifying whether a stock is overvalued, rightly valued, or temporarily undervalued.
Super Micro is graded C on this front, indicating that it is trading at par with its peers. Click here to see the values of some of the valuation metrics that have driven this grade.
Bottom LineThe facts discussed here and much other information on Zacks.com might help determine whether or not it's worthwhile paying attention to the market buzz about Super Micro. However, its Zacks Rank #3 does suggest that it may perform in line with the broader market in the near term.
, /PRNewswire/ -- A new partnership is funding projects to improve off-highway vehicle (OHV) access and riding areas across the United States. The Foundation for America's Public Lands, the charitable partner of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and Polaris, a global leader in powersports, are providing grants to support OHV recreation access, safety and the riding experience on BLM-managed public lands. The program officially kicked-off in June 2026 at Moon Rocks in northern Nevada. Many of the first-round investments will support projects in Utah.
Support from the State of Utah, Polaris, the BLM, and the Foundation for America's Public Lands will result in over $200,000 of cumulative impact for OHV projects on BLM lands in the Beehive State. Funding for these projects will go toward new and additional wayfinding signage, as well as trail maintenance and repairs to help support safety, access, and continued use of these OHV spaces.
The BLM manages over 200 designated OHV recreation areas and millions of acres open to responsible motorized recreation across the country. Utah's public lands are home to some of the country's most iconic motorized recreation destinations, places where families, friends, and communities gather to enjoy the outdoors and build the kind of shared experiences that empower local economies and keep people coming back to ride.
These projects are made possible in part through support the BLM receives from the State of Utah. The Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation brings local expertise, resources, and a shared commitment to expanding recreation access, promoting safety and education, supporting responsible visitation, and driving economic growth through outdoor recreation.
"OHV recreation is a huge part of Utah's outdoor culture, bringing families, friends, and visitors together on public lands across the state," said Wade Allinson, OHV program manager for the Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation. "These projects will help improve the rider experience, promote safety and responsible use, and protect long-term access to the places Utahns know and love. We appreciate Polaris, the Foundation for America's Public Lands and the BLM for investing in the future of motorized recreation in Utah."
"People are deeply connected to the areas they spend their days riding, and we know strong communities are at the heart of maintaining these spaces. Through our new partnership with the Foundation for America's Public Lands, we will invest alongside local partners to improve trails, promote responsible riding, and support the people who know these areas better than anyone, helping to keep these places thriving," said Mike Speetzen, Polaris CEO. "We are privileged to work alongside the Foundation, the Bureau of Land Management and local partners to help bring these important projects to life."
"America's public lands are powerful economic drivers and places where Americans can get outside to experience the Great Outdoors," said I Ling Thompson, Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation for America's Public Lands. "In Utah, BLM-managed lands offer countless opportunities for multiple-use recreation, and we are thrilled to partner with Polaris to support local communities and bring much needed funding to these important projects."
This partnership will support the following projects in Utah:
Cricket Mountains OHV Trail System: Riders will be able to find their way across the entire trail system with a full signage overhaul, including installing new directional markers, trail maps, and informational signs. Greater Three Peaks OHV Riding Area: About 4,800 feet of fencing around "the crater" will reduce safety hazards from dense informal routes and irregular terrain, making one of the area's most-used zones more accessible and rideable. Tusher Tunnel, Uranium Arch and Bartlett Alcove: Updated signage, parking improvements, and site maintenance across three BLM Moab locations will improve the visitor experience, keeping these high-traffic areas in good shape for the next ride. Fivemile Pass Recreation Area: Restroom repairs and new kiosks at seven staging areas will enhance amenities at some of Utah's most-loved OHV areas, ensuring they're welcoming to riders. The priorities of Polaris and the Foundation's partnership include supporting OHV recreation, promoting safe and responsible off-road riding, enhancing the riding experience in and around the highest use recreation areas, and partnering with local communities on these projects. The Foundation's mission is to build strategic partnerships, generate private support, and help connect more people and communities to their public lands and waters. These grants and this partnership represent a part of Polaris' broader mission to encourage outdoor recreation and support the safety of its riders and the OHV community as a whole.

Bloom Energy stock is showing notable weakness. What’s weighing on BE shares? What Is Driving Bloom Energy’s Recent Stock Movement?Bloom Energy is still trading around a policy-driven cost setup that cuts certain steel and aluminum derivative tariffs to 15% from 25% for goods imported after 12:01 a.m. ET on June 8 through Dec. 31, 2027, plus a 10% lane for capital equipment that is at least 85% U.S. "melted and poured."
The fine print also expands a 25% list to include items such as steel racks and aluminum lithographic plates, keeping the stock sensitive to sourcing and cost read-throughs.
Critical Price Levels To Watch For BEThe longer-term trend is still pointed higher, but Friday’s dip is pushing the stock back toward its near-term trend gauges after a huge 12-month run of 1163.28%. At $290.04, shares are trading 1.3% below the 20-day SMA ($285.74) and 2.8% above the 50-day SMA ($274.30), while still far above the 100-day ($214.07) and 200-day ($160.64).
RSI is the cleaner momentum lens right now, sitting at 48.94, which reads as neutral and consistent with a pause/consolidation rather than a momentum breakout. In plain terms, RSI helps show whether a move is getting stretched; near-50 typically signals balance between buyers and sellers.
Trend structure remains constructive with the 20-day SMA above the 50-day SMA and the 50-day SMA above the 200-day SMA, a bullish alignment that often supports "buy-the-dip" behavior as long as key levels hold. From a timing standpoint, the chart logged a swing low in April and a swing high in June, and it also tagged the 52-week high in June—so the setup still looks like an uptrend that’s digesting gains.
Key Resistance: $303.00 — a nearby round-number area where rebounds can stall Key Support: $249.00 — a prior pivot zone that sits well below the 20-day/50-day area and would matter if the pullback deepens How Bloom Energy Generates Power and RevenueBloom Energy designs, manufactures, sells and installs solid oxide fuel cell systems for on-site power generation. Its Bloom Energy Servers are fuel-flexible and can use natural gas, biogas, and hydrogen to create 24/7 electricity for stationary applications.
Bloom Energy’s momentum story has also become more personality-driven as co-founder and CEO KR Sridhar was recently estimated to hold a 1.7% stake worth about $1.7 billion, putting leadership optics in focus as the stock consolidates. That narrative has kept attention on execution and long-term vision as traders now he’s a billionaire.

The Verdict: Bloom Energy’s Benzinga Edge signal reveals a classic High-Flyer setup—very strong momentum and growth paired with a very weak value score. For years, hydrogen fuel cells held promise as a source of clean energy, but hydrogen power disappointed both fans and investors. The world just wasn't ready for it.
An enterprising outfit called Bloom Energy (BE 13.07%), however, has finally proven this renewable energy's underlying science can be the basis of a fiscally viable business. Specifically, in Q1 of this year, Bloom turned $751 million in solid oxide fuel cell revenue into non-GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) per-share profit of $0.44, dramatically improving on its results a year earlier. Analysts expect more explosive top- and bottom-line growth going forward, too, assuming there's money to be made in the business.
The question is, can perpetually struggling, persistently unprofitable hydrogen outfit Plug Power (PLUG 0.97%) finally follow in Bloom Energy's footsteps?
It's certainly looking that way.
The market's finally ready for Plug Power's solution ... probably The science is simple enough -- passing hydrogen through an anode, a cathode, and an electrolyte membrane that make up a "fuel cell" produces electricity. The only by-products are water and heat, no pollutants.
This technology can be used in many ways, ranging from powering portable electronic devices to automobiles to buildings (yes, including AI data centers).
Plug Power's claim to fame? Forklifts, strangely enough, are typically used in industrial settings where the logistics of refueling hydrogen tanks can be handled. But the company can also meet larger-scale needs, including backup power for buildings and even utility companies. To this end, the industry's chief stumbling blocks have largely just been acceptance and the logistics and cost of raw hydrogen.
Bloom Energy, however, has finally pushed fuel cells into the mainstream as a source of electricity by designing and building its equipment from the ground up, largely to serve the energy-hungry AI data center industry.
Granted, it helped itself quite a bit, since its solid-oxide fuel cells can use hydrogen, natural gas, or biogas as fuel. Plug Power's tech is strictly limited to hydrogen.
In the same sense, Tesla paved the way for others to develop electric vehicles; the growing acceptance of Bloom's solutions is drawing attention to Plug Power's wares as well, giving it a shot at a hydrogen power market that will be worth $600 billion by 2035 (versus 2025's $280 billion), according to Precedence Research.

Analysts think so anyway. While actual profitability is still years away, the analyst community collectively expects revenue to grow 15% this year, before accelerating to 18% next year, when lingering losses are expected to start shrinking. Most analysts also only rate PLUG shares a "hold" at this time, but their consensus price target of $3.69 that's 40% above the ticker's present price, at least acknowledges the fiscal progress that likely awaits is worth the risk that it doesn't.
Know what you're getting into Don't dismiss that risk. Just because Bloom Energy's bottom-line growth is now soaring doesn't guarantee that Plug Power will do the same. Again, Plug Power's hydrogen fuel cell tech is limited compared to Bloom's.
To the extent the market's hesitance to accept hydrogen power was holding it back, however, Plug Power is becoming an interesting prospect for risk-tolerant investors.

Taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals for new and old investors, and Zacks Premium offers many different ways to do both.
Featuring daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, full access to the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens, the research service can help you become a smarter, more self-assured investor.
Zacks Premium also includes the Zacks Style Scores.
What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores is a unique set of guidelines that rates stocks based on three popular investing types, and were developed as complementary indicators for the Zacks Rank. This combination helps investors choose securities with the highest chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.
Based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics, each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F. The better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform; an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on.
The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:
Value ScoreFor value investors, it's all about finding good stocks at good prices, and discovering which companies are trading under their true value before the broader market catches on. The Value Style Score utilizes ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and a host of other multiples to help pick out the most attractive and discounted stocks.
Growth ScoreWhile good value is important, growth investors are more focused on a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score takes projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow into account to uncover stocks that will see long-term, sustainable growth.
Momentum ScoreMomentum traders and investors live by the saying "the trend is your friend." This investing style is all about taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Employing factors like one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, the Momentum Style Score can indicate favorable times to build a position in high-momentum stocks.
VGM ScoreIf you want a combination of all three Style Scores, then the VGM Score will be your friend. It rates each stock on their combined weighted styles, helping you find the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum. It's also one of the best indicators to use with the Zacks Rank.
How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank A proprietary stock-rating model, the Zacks Rank utilizes the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings outlook, to help investors create a successful portfolio.
It's highly successful, with #1 (Strong Buy) stocks producing an unmatched +24% average annual return since 1988. That's more than double the S&P 500. But because of the large number of stocks we rate, there are over 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, plus another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.
But it can feel overwhelming to pick the right stocks for you and your investing goals with over 800 top-rated stocks to choose from.
That's where the Style Scores come in.
You want to make sure you're buying stocks with the highest likelihood of success, and to do that, you'll need to pick stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B. If you like a stock that only has a #3 (Hold) rank, it should also have Scores of A or B to guarantee as much upside potential as possible.
Since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank, the direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy.
Here's an example: a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one with Style Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings outlook, and a bigger chance its share price will decrease too.
Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

VST is a #3 (Hold) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of A.
Momentum investors should take note of this Utilities stock. VST has a Momentum Style Score of A, and shares are up 4.7% over the past four weeks.
Six analysts revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days for fiscal 2026. The Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.73 to $9.52 per share. VST boasts an average earnings surprise of +16.4%.
With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Momentum and VGM Style Scores, VST should be on investors' short list.

Amid the rising importance of water and wastewater service provider companies, let us discuss American States Water Company (AWR - Free Report) and California Water Service Group (CWT - Free Report) . Debt to CapitalUtilities operations are capital-intensive, requiring continuous investments to modernize, maintain and replace aging infrastructure. Water utilities typically fund long-term capital projects through a combination of internally generated cash flows and debt raised in the capital markets, supporting sustainable growth.
American States Water's debt-to-capital currently stands at 46.45% compared with California Water Service’s 50.29%. Both companies are using debt to fund their business. Both AWR and CWT’s debt levels are lower than the industry’s 54.63%, with CWT slightly higher than AWR, indicating greater dependence on borrowed funds.

A consistently high ROE indicates efficient capital allocation, strong operational performance, effective management and an enhanced ability to create long-term shareholder value.

IonQ, Inc. (IONQ - Free Report) is one of the stocks most watched by Zacks.com visitors lately. So, it might be a good idea to review some of the factors that might affect the near-term performance of the stock.
Over the past month, shares of this company have returned -27.9%, compared to the Zacks S&P 500 composite's -1.4% change. During this period, the Zacks Computer - Integrated Systems industry, which IonQ falls in, has gained 32.4%. The key question now is: What could be the stock's future direction?
Although media reports or rumors about a significant change in a company's business prospects usually cause its stock to trend and lead to an immediate price change, there are always certain fundamental factors that ultimately drive the buy-and-hold decision.
Revisions to Earnings EstimatesHere at Zacks, we prioritize appraising the change in the projection of a company's future earnings over anything else. That's because we believe the present value of its future stream of earnings is what determines the fair value for its stock.
For the current quarter, IonQ is expected to post a loss of $0.29 per share, indicating a change of +58.6% from the year-ago quarter. The Zacks Consensus Estimate remained unchanged over the last 30 days.
The consensus earnings estimate of -$1.07 for the current fiscal year indicates a year-over-year change of +41.2%. This estimate has remained unchanged over the last 30 days.
For the next fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $0.94 indicates a change of +12.5% from what IonQ is expected to report a year ago. Over the past month, the estimate has changed +2.2%.
Having a strong externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool, the Zacks Rank, offers a more conclusive picture of a stock's price direction in the near term, since it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions. Due to the size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, IonQ is rated Zacks Rank #4 (Sell).
The chart below shows the evolution of the company's forward 12-month consensus EPS estimate:
12 Month EPS
Revenue Growth ForecastWhile earnings growth is arguably the most superior indicator of a company's financial health, nothing happens as such if a business isn't able to grow its revenues. After all, it's nearly impossible for a company to increase its earnings for an extended period without increasing its revenues. So, it's important to know a company's potential revenue growth.
For IonQ, the consensus sales estimate for the current quarter of $66.36 million indicates a year-over-year change of +220.7%. For the current and next fiscal years, $267.45 million and $401.88 million estimates indicate +105.7% and +50.3% changes, respectively.
Last Reported Results and Surprise HistoryIonQ reported revenues of $64.67 million in the last reported quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +754.3%. EPS of -$0.38 for the same period compares with -$0.14 a year ago.
Compared to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $49.66 million, the reported revenues represent a surprise of +30.23%. The EPS surprise was -46.15%.
Over the last four quarters, the company surpassed EPS estimates just once. The company topped consensus revenue estimates each time over this period.
ValuationNo investment decision can be efficient without considering a stock's valuation. Whether a stock's current price rightly reflects the intrinsic value of the underlying business and the company's growth prospects is an essential determinant of its future price performance.
While comparing the current values of a company's valuation multiples, such as price-to-earnings (P/E), price-to-sales (P/S), and price-to-cash flow (P/CF), with its own historical values helps determine whether its stock is fairly valued, overvalued, or undervalued, comparing the company relative to its peers on these parameters gives a good sense of the reasonability of the stock's price.
IonQ is graded F on this front, indicating that it is trading at a premium to its peers. Click here to see the values of some of the valuation metrics that have driven this grade.
Bottom LineThe facts discussed here and much other information on Zacks.com might help determine whether or not it's worthwhile paying attention to the market buzz about IonQ. However, its Zacks Rank #4 does suggest that it may underperform the broader market in the near term.
Key Takeaways EG's net investment income delivered a 27% CAGR from 2020 to 2025, reflecting sustained portfolio growth. NII rose 15.5% year over year in first-quarter 2026, driven by fixed income and alternative investments. Growing insurance float, higher reinvestment yields, and disciplined portfolio management support earnings. Everest Group, Ltd. (EG - Free Report) has become one of the major beneficiaries of the higher interest rate environment, with net investment income (NII) serving as an increasingly important contributor to earnings alongside its insurance and reinsurance underwriting operations.
NII has become an increasingly valuable component of Everest Group's earnings profile. The combination of a growing insurance float, disciplined investment management, and a higher-yield investment environment strengthens the company's ability to generate consistent profits, complementing its underwriting performance and supporting long-term shareholder value creation.
A significant portion of the investment portfolio consists of fixed income securities, and smaller portions consist of equity securities and other investments, such as limited partnerships and other alternative investments. The metric should continue to gain from an increase in limited partnership income, higher income from fixed maturity investments, an increase in income from other alternative investments, higher income from short-term investments, and cash.
The insurer’s investment income has shown continuous improvement. The metric has delivered a five-year (2020-2025) CAGR of 27%.
NII increased 15.5% year over year for the three months ended March 31, 2026, largely driven by strong alternative asset returns, fixed income portfolio growth, and strong limited partnership returns.
EG's net investment income is primarily driven by the growth of its investment portfolio, higher reinvestment yields in a higher-rate environment, expanding insurance float, and disciplined portfolio management.
NII significantly boosts top-line growth and overall profitability for EG, complementing the company's underwriting operations. While insurance premiums are the primary source of revenue, NII provides a recurring stream of earnings generated from investing the company's insurance float and shareholders' capital.

Key Takeaways Chemed's VITAS grew Q1 2026 revenues as admissions and Medicare reimbursement increased. CHE saw Roto-Rooter improve plumbing trends, billing efficiency and expand via franchise acquisitions. Chemed faces inflation, tariff risks and intense competition across hospice and plumbing services. Chemed Corporation (CHE - Free Report) is well poised to grow in the coming quarters due to strong operational growth in the VITAS arm. Roto-Rooter maintains its core competitive edge in a challenging operational environment, which is highly promising. Meanwhile, ongoing macroeconomic headwinds and competitive pressures pose risks for Chemed’s operations.
Over the past year, this Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) stock has lost 19% against the industry’s 10.2% growth and the S&P 500 composite’s 22.5% improvement.
The renowned hospice care provider has a market capitalization of $6.02 billion. Chemed has an earnings yield of 5.4% compared with the industry’s 5.3% yield. It has an earnings growth rate of 11.6% for 2026 compared to the industry’s 15.2% growth.
Let’s delve deeper.
Upsides for CHEVITAS Prospects Bright: In the first quarter of 2026, VITAS’ revenues grew 3.1% year over year, driven by a 2.2% increase in days of care and a roughly 2.6% rise in the geographically weighted average Medicare reimbursement rate. Admissions at VITAS during the quarter reached 19,394, representing a 6.9% increase over the prior-year period.
Hospital-based admissions accounted for 43.8% of total admissions. Strengthened admissions led VITAS to outperform internal projections and add more than $32.5 million to the Florida combined program’s cap cushion.
Roto-Rooter Shows Resilience: In the first quarter of 2026, Roto-Rooter showed signs of improvement across multiple fronts, with residential plumbing and residential sewer and drain revenues increasing for the first time since the fourth quarter of 2022.
Roto-Rooter is centralizing water restoration billing and collections that were historically performed at each branch. The project is expected to create more concentrated expertise and result in better billing and collection results. In the first quarter, the transition resulted in a $1.5 million improvement in overall write-offs compared with the prior-year period. Management remains confident that the strategic initiatives discussed over the last few quarters are starting to take hold.
On March 31, 2026, Roto-Rooter purchased the territory and assets of the franchises operating in San Francisco, CA, and Fort Worth, TX, aggregating to roughly $20.6 million.
Concerns for ChemedMacroeconomic Headwinds: Chemed is actively monitoring the macroeconomic trends, such as inflation, and the effects of implemented or potential tariffs, which may adversely impact its net sales and profitability. Significant tariffs on certain products, such as steel for Roto-Rooter’s cabling machines and pharmaceuticals utilized by VITAS, could materially increase the cost of both segments. For 2025, Chemed’s cost of services provided and goods sold increased 8.2% over 2024.
Tough Competitive Landscape: Roto-Rooter operates in the highly competitive market for sewer, drain, and pipe cleaning and plumbing repair businesses. Competition is fragmented in most markets, with local and regional firms providing much of the competition. Besides, Hospice care in the United States is competitive, as programs for hospice services are generally uniform.
As the hospice care industry is highly fragmented, VITAS competes with a large number of organizations based on its ability to deliver quality, responsive services. Both these segments could face challenges in their operations if they are unable to innovate and effectively respond to market trends.
CHE’s Estimate TrendThe Zacks Consensus Estimate for Chemed’s 2026 earnings per share (EPS) has remained constant at $24.05 in the past 30 days.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for the company’s 2026 revenues is pegged at $2.69 billion, suggesting a 6.2% rise from the year-ago reported number.

Key Takeaways GlobalFoundries is expanding silicon photonics and SiGe capacity amid strong AI and data center demand.UMC is seeing stronger specialty technology demand while advancing 12-nanometer work with Intel. Both companies expect higher 2026 sales and earnings as foundry demand continues to improve. The global semiconductor foundry industry continues to benefit from rising demand for chips used in artificial intelligence, automotive electronics, industrial automation and connected devices. As chipmakers increasingly outsource manufacturing, foundries with advanced technologies, diverse customer bases and expanding production capacity are well positioned to capture long-term growth.
Against this backdrop, GLOBALFOUNDRIES Inc. (GFS - Free Report) and United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC - Free Report) stand out as two prominent players. While GlobalFoundries focuses on specialized process technologies and strategic manufacturing partnerships, UMC leverages its mature-node expertise and cost-efficient operations to serve a broad range of customers. Which semiconductor foundry stock offers the better investment opportunity today? Let's compare the two.
The Case for GFSGlobalFoundries is strengthening its long-term growth profile by capitalizing on rising demand from artificial intelligence and data center applications. The company reported robust double-digit growth in its Communications Infrastructure & Data Center and Automotive businesses during the first quarter, while highlighting strong momentum in silicon photonics and silicon-germanium (SiGe) technologies. Management noted that demand for its SiGe solutions has exceeded available capacity well into 2027, prompting capacity expansion. The company also expects its silicon photonics revenues to roughly double in 2026 and target a run rate exceeding $1 billion by the end of 2028, supported by increasing customer wins and new optical networking products.
Another positive is GlobalFoundries' improving profitability and expanding customer relationships. The company posted a record first-quarter gross margin of about 29%, up more than five percentage points year over year, reflecting a richer product mix, cost improvements and contributions from higher-margin technology services. Design wins climbed 50% from the prior-year period, while strategic partnerships with companies such as Renesas and Apple reinforce its position in automotive, industrial and U.S.-based semiconductor manufacturing. Management also emphasized that its diversified manufacturing footprint across the United States, Germany and Singapore is attracting customers seeking resilient supply chains amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainty.
Despite these strengths, GlobalFoundries continues to face headwinds in its Smart Mobile Devices business, which remains the largest revenue contributor. Management expects the segment to decline at a high-single-digit rate in 2026 as the broader smartphone market weakens, although it believes the business will outperform overall industry trends. The company also warned that geopolitical disruptions could raise supply-chain costs, with additional spending on critical materials expected to weigh on margins through the remainder of the year. These challenges suggest that sustained growth in AI, automotive and communications markets will be essential to offset weakness in mobile demand.
The Case for UMCUnited Microelectronics is benefiting from improving demand across its mature-node foundry business, supported by rising utilization and strong momentum in specialty technologies. During the first quarter, wafer shipments increased sequentially, lifting utilization to 79%, while 22-nanometer revenues reached another record and accounted for 14% of total sales. Management expects more than 50 customers to complete tape-outs on its 22-nanometer platform by the end of 2026, spanning applications such as display driver ICs, networking chips and microcontrollers. Looking ahead, UMC guided for high-single-digit shipment growth and low-single-digit ASP improvement in the second quarter, reflecting healthy demand across communications, consumer, industrial and AI-related markets.
UMC is also investing to expand its long-term growth opportunities beyond traditional mature-node manufacturing. The company continues to advance its 12-nanometer collaboration with Intel, which is expected to provide customers with U.S.-based manufacturing and pave the way for commercial production in 2027. At the same time, management highlighted growing traction in emerging businesses such as silicon photonics and advanced packaging, with more than 10 customer engagements and over 35 expected tape-outs in 2026. These initiatives, combined with disciplined pricing actions planned for the second half of the year and a strategy focused on higher-value specialty technologies, should strengthen UMC's competitive position over time.
On the downside, UMC's profitability continues to face cost pressures despite improving demand. Management cautioned that higher depreciation from the Singapore fab expansion, along with rising raw material, energy and logistics costs, is expected to offset much of the benefit from stronger utilization in 2026. While the company plans to implement wafer price increases in the second half, executives acknowledged that margin expansion is likely to remain constrained until depreciation expenses begin to ease, making sustained earnings growth dependent on continued demand recovery and successful execution of its higher-value technology roadmap.

Which Stock to Buy Now?Both companies are well positioned to benefit from long-term semiconductor demand, but UMC appears to have the stronger investment case at this stage. The company is seeing broad-based improvement across core businesses, healthy momentum in the specialty technology portfolio and encouraging progress in emerging areas such as silicon photonics, advanced packaging and its collaboration with Intel.
In addition, analysts have become increasingly optimistic about UMC's earnings outlook, while it is expected to deliver faster growth than GlobalFoundries. Although both stocks trade at premium valuations after strong rallies, UMC's stronger earnings trajectory, improving demand environment and expanding technology roadmap give it an edge. This makes it the more compelling semiconductor foundry stock to buy now.
UMC currently has a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), whereas GFS carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.
Investors in DoubleVerify Holdings, Inc. (DV - Free Report) need to pay close attention to the stock based on moves in the options market lately. That is because the July 17, 2026 $2.50 Call had some of the highest implied volatility of all equity options today.
What is Implied Volatility?Implied volatility shows how much movement the market is expecting in the future. Options with high levels of implied volatility suggest that investors in the underlying stocks are expecting a big move in one direction or the other. It could also mean there is an event coming up soon that may cause a big rally or a huge sell-off. However, implied volatility is only one piece of the puzzle when putting together an options trading strategy.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores, developed alongside the Zacks Rank, are complementary indicators that rate stocks based on three widely-followed investing methodologies; they also help investors pick stocks with the best chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.
Based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics, each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F. The better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform; an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on.
The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:
Value ScoreValue investors love finding good stocks at good prices, especially before the broader market catches on to a stock's true value. Utilizing ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and many other multiples, the Value Style Score identifies the most attractive and most discounted stocks.
Growth ScoreGrowth investors, on the other hand, are more concerned with a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score examines things like projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks that will experience sustainable growth over time.
Momentum ScoreMomentum investors, who live by the saying "the trend is your friend," are most interested in taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Utilizing one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, among other factors, the Momentum Style Score can help determine favorable times to buy high-momentum stocks.
VGM ScoreWhat if you like to use all three types of investing? The VGM Score is a combination of all Style Scores, making it one of the most comprehensive indicators to use with the Zacks Rank. It rates each stock on their combined weighted styles, which helps narrow down the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum.
How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank The Zacks Rank is a proprietary stock-rating model that harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings expectations, to help investors build a successful portfolio.
#1 (Strong Buy) stocks have produced an unmatched +24% average annual return since 1988, which is more than double the S&P 500's performance over the same time frame. However, the Zacks Rank examines a ton of stocks, and there can be more than 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, and another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.
As mentioned above, the Scores are designed to work with the Zacks Rank, so any change to a company's earnings outlook should be a deciding factor when picking which stocks to buy.

Key Takeaways Kinder Morgan transports about 40% of U.S. natural gas and has stable, contracted cash flows.Rising LNG exports and gas-fired power demand are driving Kinder Morgan's natural gas growth story.A $10.1B project backlog targets LNG, power generation and utility demand to support cash flows. Kinder Morgan (KMI - Free Report) is a leading energy infrastructure company in North America that transports approximately 40% of U.S. natural gas. The company owns an extensive asset base, including approximately 78,000 miles of pipelines, 136 terminals and more than 700 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of working natural gas storage capacity. While KMI generates stable cash flows, supported by its highly contracted business model, its growth story is backed by the rising demand for natural gas and power consumption in the United States.
The rising demand for natural gas is driven by two major factors – growth in liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports and increasing gas-fired power demand in the U.S. Kinder Morgan’s assets. These assets are well-positioned to support LNG export growth, particularly at the export hubs in Texas and the Louisiana Gulf Coast. Additionally, the expansion of data centers, the retirement of coal-fired power plants, industrial reshoring, population migration and economic growth in the Southern U.S. are resulting in increased electricity consumption, boosting the need for reliable natural gas-fired power generation.
The company’s $10.1 billion project backlog is primarily focused on natural gas infrastructure, with more than 20% directed toward serving the growing LNG demand, whereas about 60% is directed toward power generation and utility demand. This should enable the midstream player to convert these demand trends into stable, predictable cash flows. These trends enhance the strategic value of KMI’s pipeline and storage assets and provide investors with a low-risk path to gain exposure to the structural growth in U.S. natural gas demand.
Energy Sector Players to Benefit From Rising Natural Gas DemandThe rise of data centers and higher gas-fired power demand presents an opportunity for Enbridge Inc. (ENB - Free Report) to capitalize on. Data centers require a huge amount of electricity, which is driving rapid growth in gas demand. The shift from coal to gas for power generation is increasing the demand for gas. Enbridgeis expected to gain from the expansion of its natural gas storage facilities.
Venture Global (VG - Free Report) is one of the largest U.S.-based exporters of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and is currently operating and developing multiple LNG export projects in Louisiana. The company anticipates that the total production capacity across its projects will account for approximately 68 million tons per annum, upon completion, with potential upside from optimization initiatives. Being an LNG export company, VG is expected to benefit from the rise in LNG demand, driven by the expansion of data centers, replacement of coal and the global shift toward lower-emission fuels.

Marvell Technology (MRVL - Free Report) reached a significant support level, and could be a good pick for investors from a technical perspective. Recently, MRVL broke through the 20-day moving average, which suggests a short-term bullish trend.
The 20-day simple moving average is a popular investing tool. Traders like this SMA because it offers a look back at a stock's price over a shorter period and helps smooth out price fluctuations. The 20-day can also show more trend reversal signals than longer-term moving averages.
Like other SMAs, if a stock's price is moving above the 20-day, the trend is considered positive. When the price falls below the moving average, it can signal a downward trend.
MRVL could be on the verge of another rally after moving 37.3% higher over the last four weeks. Plus, the company is currently a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) stock.
The bullish case only gets stronger once investors take into account MRVL's positive earnings estimate revisions. There have been 14 revisions higher for the current fiscal year compared to none lower, and the consensus estimate has moved up as well.
Investors may want to watch MRVL for more gains in the near future given the company's key technical level and positive earnings estimate revisions.
During the past month, the ETF market has seen a wave of excitement surrounding a concentrated group of companies. While investors still want exposure to the tech giants that have dominated the past few years, the successful launch of SpaceX in early June created widespread anticipation for planned IPOs like Anthropic and OpenAI. In response to the excitement numerous firms have filled for “MANGOS” ETFs, which includes holdings across Meta, Anthropic, Nvidia, Google, OpenAI, and SpaceX.
Key Takeaways Investor focus is shifting from the Magnificent Seven toward the MANGOS basket. This prioritizes companies specializing in artificial intelligence and commercial space technology. Numerous asset managers have filed for various MANGOS ETFs, including Corgi, Yorkville America, ProShares, and T-REX. The structure of these funds range from equally weighted exposure across the group to inverse leveraged exposure, seeking -2x daily investment results. The market’s focus has shifted from the Magnificent Seven tech giants (AAPL, MSFT, GOOGL, AMZN, NVDA, META, TSLA) that dominated the U.S. market the past few years to the MANGOS companies. This shift reflects a change in investor preferences. It is moving from legacy hardware and consumer platform giants to pure AI and commercial space-technology companies. A few firms look to capitalize on this investor demand by filing for various MANGOS funds.
Firms Position for MANGOS Demand A week after the SpaceX IPO, Corgi filed for the Corgi MANGOS ETF. This actively managed strategy provides concentrated exposure to six core companies. The four publicly traded companies will be held through a combination of investment in common stock and derivatives. Meanwhile special purpose vehicles will be used to gain exposure to privately held companies including Anthropic and OpenAI. Additionally, Corgi has filed for a Corgi MANGOS 2X Daily ETF, which seeks investment results that equal 2x the underlying Corgi MANGOS ETF performance on a daily reset.
Yorkville America filed for 2 ETFs, the Yorkville American MANGO Plus ETF and the Yorkville American MANGO Plus Premium Equity Income ETF, designed to generate current income through options writing.
Along with the core holdings, the Yorkville funds will also invest in seven additional companies known as the “Parabolic Seven”: SNDK, MRVL, MU, INTC, DELL, AMD, and AVGO. This allows for broader exposure to companies involved in semiconductor and AI-hardware development.
Other MANGOS Funds ProShares has filed for four different MANGOS funds over the course of three days. Filings include the ProShares MANGOS ETF, the ProShares Short MANGOS ETF, the ProShares Ultra MANGOS ETF, and the ProShares UltraShort MANGOS ETF.
The ProShares MANGOS ETF will provide equally weighted exposure to the six companies. The other three funds will offer leveraged exposure to the same underlying companies. The ProShares Ultra MANGOS ETF seeks double the daily investment results of the same exposure. It aims for this primarily through investment in derivatives. Meanwhile, the ProShares Short MANGOS ETF seeks to provide -1x inverse daily investment results. The ProShares UltraShort MANGOS ETF aims for -2x inverse results.
Similar to the leveraged ETFs from Corgi and ProShares, the T-REX 2X Long MANGOS Daily Target ETF aims to capture double the performance of an index tracking the MANGOS stocks. This fund comes in with an expense ratio of 150 basis points.
High Stakes in a High-Growth Market The influx of filings marks a decisive point in market sentiment as investors look to rotate from legacy tech giants into the pure AI and commercial space sectors. However, investors should be aware of the volatility risk that comes with investment in such a concentrated portfolio of holdings. The extreme price volatility seen following the SpaceX IPO serves as a reminder of the risk inherent in concentrated portfolios, especially those that are leveraged.
Anthropic and OpenAI have filled S-1 paperwork with the SEC to go public. It is likely that Investor anticipation for these products is only going to intensify further.

Vertiv (VRT 6.57%) is tied to one of AI's most important physical constraints: keeping advanced data centers powered, cooled, and running. The idea is that AI growth could make infrastructure companies more valuable as the challenges of heat, power, and deployment complexity become harder to solve.

Vertiv Holdings Co. (VRT - Free Report) has recently been on Zacks.com's list of the most searched stocks. Therefore, you might want to consider some of the key factors that could influence the stock's performance in the near future.
Shares of this company have returned +3.6% over the past month versus the Zacks S&P 500 composite's -1.4% change. The Zacks Computers - IT Services industry, to which Vertiv belongs, has lost 11% over this period. Now the key question is: Where could the stock be headed in the near term?
While media releases or rumors about a substantial change in a company's business prospects usually make its stock 'trending' and lead to an immediate price change, there are always some fundamental facts that eventually dominate the buy-and-hold decision-making.
Revisions to Earnings EstimatesRather than focusing on anything else, we at Zacks prioritize evaluating the change in a company's earnings projection.
Vertiv is expected to post earnings of $1.42 per share for the current quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +49.5%. Over the last 30 days, the Zacks Consensus Estimate remained unchanged.
For the current fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $6.36 points to a change of +51.4% from the prior year. Over the last 30 days, this estimate has remained unchanged.
For the next fiscal year, the consensus earnings estimate of $8.53 indicates a change of +34.1% from what Vertiv is expected to report a year ago. Over the past month, the estimate has changed +1.3%.
Having a strong externally audited track record, our proprietary stock rating tool, the Zacks Rank, offers a more conclusive picture of a stock's price direction in the near term, since it effectively harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions. Due to the size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, Vertiv is rated Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).
The chart below shows the evolution of the company's forward 12-month consensus EPS estimate:
12 Month EPS
Projected Revenue GrowthWhile earnings growth is arguably the most superior indicator of a company's financial health, nothing happens as such if a business isn't able to grow its revenues. After all, it's nearly impossible for a company to increase its earnings for an extended period without increasing its revenues. So, it's important to know a company's potential revenue growth.
For Vertiv, the consensus sales estimate for the current quarter of $3.37 billion indicates a year-over-year change of +27.7%. For the current and next fiscal years, $13.73 billion and $17.61 billion estimates indicate +34.2% and +28.3% changes, respectively.
Last Reported Results and Surprise HistoryVertiv reported revenues of $2.65 billion in the last reported quarter, representing a year-over-year change of +30.1%. EPS of $1.17 for the same period compares with $0.64 a year ago.
Compared to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.66 billion, the reported revenues represent a surprise of -0.27%. The EPS surprise was +14.71%.
The company beat consensus EPS estimates in each of the trailing four quarters. The company topped consensus revenue estimates three times over this period.
The Zacks Value Style Score (part of the Zacks Style Scores system), which pays close attention to both traditional and unconventional valuation metrics to grade stocks from A to F (an A is better than a B; a B is better than a C; and so on), is pretty helpful in identifying whether a stock is overvalued, rightly valued, or temporarily undervalued.
Vertiv is graded D on this front, indicating that it is trading at a premium to its peers. Click here to see the values of some of the valuation metrics that have driven this grade.
Bottom LineThe facts discussed here and much other information on Zacks.com might help determine whether or not it's worthwhile paying attention to the market buzz about Vertiv. However, its Zacks Rank #3 does suggest that it may perform in line with the broader market in the near term.
Quarterly financial reports play a vital role on Wall Street, as they help investors see how a company has performed and what might be coming down the road in the near-term. And out of all of the metrics and results to consider, earnings is one of the most important.
Life and the stock market are both about expectations, and rising above what is expected is often rewarded, while falling short can come with negative consequences. Investors might want to try to capture stronger returns by finding positive earnings surprises.
Hunting for 'earnings whispers' or companies poised to beat their quarterly earnings estimates is a somewhat common practice. But that doesn't make it easy. One way that has been proven to work is by using the Zacks Earnings ESP tool.
The Zacks Earnings ESP, ExplainedThe Zacks Expected Surprise Prediction, or ESP, works by locking in on the most up-to-date analyst earnings revisions because they can be more accurate than estimates from weeks or even months before the actual release date. The thinking is pretty straightforward: analysts who provide earnings estimates closer to the report are likely to have more information.
Now that we understand the basic idea, let's look at how the Expected Surprise Prediction works. The ESP is calculated by comparing the Most Accurate Estimate to the Zacks Consensus Estimate, with the percentage difference between the two giving us the Zacks ESP figure.
When we join a positive earnings ESP with a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) or stronger, stocks posted a positive bottom-line surprise 70% of the time. Plus, this system saw investors produce roughly 28% annual returns on average, according to our 10 year backtest.
Stocks with a ranking of #3 (Hold), or 60% of all stocks covered by the Zacks Rank, are expected to perform in-line with the broader market. Stocks with rankings of #2 (Buy) and #1 (Strong Buy), or the top 15% and top 5% of stocks, respectively, should outperform the market; Strong Buy stocks should outperform more than any other rank.
Should You Consider Amphenol? The last thing we will do today, now that we have a grasp on the ESP and how powerful of a tool it can be, is to quickly look at a qualifying stock. Amphenol (APH - Free Report) holds a #2 (Buy) at the moment and its Most Accurate Estimate comes in at $1.16 a share 26 days away from its upcoming earnings release on July 22, 2026.
APH has an Earnings ESP figure of +1.31%, which, as explained above, is calculated by taking the percentage difference between the $1.16 Most Accurate Estimate and the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.15. Amphenol is one of a large database of stocks with positive ESPs. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.
APH is just one of a large group of Computer and Technology stocks with a positive ESP figure. Analog Devices (ADI - Free Report) is another qualifying stock you may want to consider.
Slated to report earnings on August 19, 2026, Analog Devices holds a #2 (Buy) ranking on the Zacks Rank, and its Most Accurate Estimate is $3.39 a share 54 days from its next quarterly update.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for Analog Devices is $3.33, and when you take the percentage difference between that number and its Most Accurate Estimate, you get the Earnings ESP figure of +1.89%.
Because both stocks hold a positive Earnings ESP, APH and ADI could potentially post earnings beats in their next reports.
Find Stocks to Buy or Sell Before They're ReportedUse the Zacks Earnings ESP Filter to turn up stocks with the highest probability of positively, or negatively, surprising to buy or sell before they're reported for profitable earnings season trading. Check it out here >>

What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores, developed alongside the Zacks Rank, are complementary indicators that rate stocks based on three widely-followed investing methodologies; they also help investors pick stocks with the best chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.
Each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics. Just like in school, an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on -- that means the better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform.
Growth ScoreGrowth investors are more concerned with a stock's future prospects, and the overall financial health and strength of a company. Thus, the Growth Style Score analyzes characteristics like projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks that will see sustainable growth over time.
With more than 800 top-rated stocks to choose from, it can certainly feel overwhelming to pick the ones that are right for you and your investing journey.
That's where the Style Scores come in.
To maximize your returns, you want to buy stocks with the highest probability of success. This means picking stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B. If you find yourself looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, make sure they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.
The direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should always be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy, since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank.
For instance, a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one that boasts Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings forecast, and a much greater likelihood its share price will decline as well.
Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

Onsemi (NASDAQ:ON) shares fell about 19% on Thursday after the semiconductor company announced an agreement to acquire Synaptics (NASDAQ: SYNA) in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $7 billion.
Shares of Synaptics added about 3% to about $130 on the news.
Under the terms of the deal, Synaptics shareholders will receive 1.35 shares of Onsemi (NASDAQ:ON) common stock for each Synaptics share they own, representing an approximately 19% premium to the companies' respective 10-day volume-weighted average closing prices.
Synaptics shareholders are expected to own about 12% of the combined company on a fully diluted basis following the transaction.
Onsemi said the acquisition would expand its focus beyond power and sensing technologies into intelligent systems and edge artificial intelligence applications. The company expects the combination to increase its total addressable market by $30 billion to $243 billion by 2030 and strengthen its position in what it describes as "Physical AI" applications, including autonomous vehicles, robotics and augmented and virtual reality.
Synaptics brings its Astra Edge AI platform, wireless connectivity technologies and human-machine interface products to the combined business. Onsemi expects the transaction to generate about $200 million in annual synergies and become accretive to non-GAAP earnings per share within 18 months of closing.
The companies expect the deal to close in mid-2027, subject to regulatory approvals, Synaptics shareholder approval and other customary closing conditions.
Both companies reiterated their previously issued financial outlooks for their current quarters.
Marley Kayden discusses Onsemi (ON) after the chipmaker announced its $7 billion acquisition of Synaptics (SYNA), sending shares lower. She also talks about TD Cowen's downgrade of Onsemi to Hold following the deal.
ON Semiconductor CEO Hassane El-Khoury defended the company's core business as shares tanked 20% after announcing its largest acquisition to capitalize on physical artificial intelligence.
The maker of power and sensing components for the automotive industry on Thursday announced plans to buy edge AI and wireless connectivity solutions company Synaptics in an all-stock deal.
The pivot into physical AI grows its addressable market by an additional $30 billion, or $243 billion, by 2030, On Semiconductor said in a release.
"That is the strategic value of it, complementary to everything we have done on a very strong foundation," El-Khoury told CNBC's "Squawk on the Street" on Friday.
The acquisition also opens new markets for the company, including an AI-centric compute platform, he said.
On Semiconductor is betting on a world with physical systems capable of sensing and making decisions in real time, such as robots and autonomous vehicles.
Synaptics' Astra platform, which uses AI processors and wireless connectivity, will bolster its Edge AI capabilities, On Semiconductor said. Edge AI refers to running AI locally on hardware.
"There is no overlap on the product, which is why this deal is very exciting from a [research and development] and a product perspective," El-Khoury said.
The executive also told CNBC that the company's data center business is running smoothly and accelerating.
"The foundation that we have built is strong," he said. "We will continue to deliver on that. We have no hesitation about our core business — that remains strong."
ON Semiconductor expects the deal to close in mid-2027 and generate $200 million in annual synergies within 18 months.

Have you been paying attention to shares of Wintrust Financial (WTFC - Free Report) ? Shares have been on the move with the stock up 7.4% over the past month. The stock hit a new 52-week high of $163.36 in the previous session. Wintrust has gained 15.8% since the start of the year compared to the 3.2% move for the Zacks Finance sector and the 6.9% return for the Zacks Banks - Midwest industry.
What's Driving the Outperformance? The stock has an impressive record of positive earnings surprises, having beaten the Zacks Consensus Estimate in each of the last four quarters. In its last earnings report on April 20, 2026, Wintrust reported EPS of $3.22 versus consensus estimate of $2.96.
For the current fiscal year, Wintrust is expected to post earnings of $13.09 per share on $2.96 in revenues. This represents a 12.07% change in EPS on a 8.59% change in revenues. For the next fiscal year, the company is expected to earn $13.93 per share on $3.13 in revenues. This represents a year-over-year change of 6.42% and 5.82%, respectively.
Valuation MetricsWintrust may be at a 52-week high right now, but what might the future hold for the stock? A key aspect of this question is taking a look at valuation metrics in order to determine if the company has run ahead of itself.
On this front, we can look at the Zacks Style Scores, as these give investors a variety of ways to comb through stocks (beyond looking at the Zacks Rank of a security). These styles are represented by grades running from A to F in the categories of Value, Growth, and Momentum, while there is a combined VGM Score as well. The idea behind the style scores is to help investors pick the most appropriate Zacks Rank stocks based on their individual investment style.
Wintrust has a Value Score of B. The stock's Growth and Momentum Scores are C and A, respectively, giving the company a VGM Score of A.
In terms of its value breakdown, the stock currently trades at 12.4X current fiscal year EPS estimates, which is a premium to the peer industry average of 11.2X. On a trailing cash flow basis, the stock currently trades at 11.4X versus its peer group's average of 11X. This isn't enough to put the company in the top echelon of all stocks we cover from a value perspective.
Zacks RankWe also need to look at the Zacks Rank for the stock, as this is even more important than the company's VGM Score. Fortunately, Wintrust currently has a Zacks Rank of #2 (Buy) thanks to a solid earnings estimate revision trend.
Since we recommend that investors select stocks carrying Zacks Rank of 1 (Strong Buy) or 2 (Buy) and Style Scores of A or B, it looks as if Wintrust fits the bill. Thus, it seems as though Wintrust shares could still be poised for more gains ahead.
How Does WTFC Stack Up to the Competition?Shares of WTFC have been soaring, and the company still appears to be a decent choice, but what about the rest of the industry? Key Takeaways PWR is expanding beyond construction to support utilities across engineering, manufacturing and supply chains.PWR plans to invest $500-$700 million to expand transformer capacity and manufacturing footprint.Quanta ended Q1 with a record $48.5 billion backlog, strengthening multiyear revenue visibility. Quanta Services, Inc. (PWR - Free Report) is increasingly aligning its business with one of the largest infrastructure opportunities in North America as utilities modernize aging power grids to meet rising electricity demand. The expansion of artificial intelligence, data centers, advanced manufacturing and electrification is placing greater pressure on transmission networks, making grid upgrades a long-term investment priority. This creates a favorable backdrop for companies with the expertise and scale to deliver complex infrastructure projects.
Grid modernization is becoming a key growth driver for Quanta because it has expanded well beyond traditional construction services. PWR now supports customers across engineering, procurement, construction, manufacturing and supply-chain solutions, allowing utilities to execute larger and more complex capital programs with greater certainty. The company is also working alongside customers much earlier in the planning process, strengthening its role in multiyear infrastructure investments.
Quanta is reinforcing this position through targeted manufacturing investments. The company plans to invest $500-$700 million over the next several years to double the power transformer manufacturing capacity while nearly doubling its off-site manufacturing, fabrication and logistics footprint to approximately 6.7 million square feet. These investments are designed to reduce equipment constraints, improve project execution and accelerate grid expansion as transmission demand grows.
The strategy is already translating into greater project visibility. Quanta ended the first quarter with a record backlog of $48.5 billion, up from $35.3 billion a year ago, including a 12-month backlog of $28.2 billion, up 45.4%, reinforcing strong multiyear revenue visibility. With utilities expected to invest heavily in transmission infrastructure for years to come, grid modernization has the potential to become one of Quanta's most durable long-term growth drivers.
How Does Quanta Compare With Infrastructure Peers?Quanta has established a leading position in North America's power infrastructure market, benefiting from growing investments in grid modernization, transmission expansion and electrification. As investors assess whether the company can sustain the long-term growth, comparisons with EMCOR Group, Inc. (EME - Free Report) and MasTec, Inc. (MTZ - Free Report) highlight its differentiated exposure to the evolving utility infrastructure landscape.
EMCOR is also benefiting from robust demand across electrical and mechanical construction, supported by data centers, manufacturing, health care and institutional projects. The company ended the first quarter with remaining performance obligations of $15.62 billion, reflecting strong project visibility. However, its growth remains more closely tied to building construction and facility-related services than utility transmission infrastructure.
MasTec is a closer peer, with exposure to power delivery, telecom, clean energy, pipeline and data center infrastructure. The company reported a record backlog of $20.3 billion and continues to benefit from investments in grid reliability, transmission expansion and AI-driven electricity demand. However, Quanta's integrated solutions platform, manufacturing investments and larger $48.5 billion backlog position it to capture a broader share of North America's multiyear grid modernization opportunity.
PWR’s Price Performance, Valuation & EstimatesPWR stock has surged 70.2% in the year-to-date (“YTD”) period, outperforming the Zacks Engineering - R and D Services industry, the broader Construction sector and the S&P 500 index.

It doesn't matter your age or experience: taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals for all investors. Luckily, Zacks Premium offers several different ways to do both.
The research service features daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, full access to the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens, all of which will help you become a smarter, more confident investor.
Value ScoreValue investors love finding good stocks at good prices, especially before the broader market catches on to a stock's true value. Utilizing ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and many other multiples, the Value Style Score identifies the most attractive and most discounted stocks.
Growth ScoreGrowth investors are more concerned with a stock's future prospects, and the overall financial health and strength of a company. Thus, the Growth Style Score analyzes characteristics like projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks that will see sustainable growth over time.
VGM ScoreIf you like to use all three kinds of investing, then the VGM Score is for you. It's a combination of all Style Scores, and is an important indicator to use with the Zacks Rank. The VGM Score rates each stock on their shared weighted styles, narrowing down the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum.
How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank The Zacks Rank, which is a proprietary stock-rating model, employs earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings expectations, to make building a winning portfolio easier.
This totals more than 800 top-rated stocks, and it can be overwhelming to try and pick the best stocks for you and your portfolio.
That's where the Style Scores come in.
To have the best chance of big returns, you'll want to always consider stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B, which will give you the highest probability of success. If you're looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, it's important they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.
The direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should always be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy, since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank.
Stock to Watch: Principal Financial (PFG - Free Report) Ranked among the Fortune 500 companies, Des Moines, IA-based Principal Financial Group Inc. is a leader in global investment management offering businesses, individuals and institutional clients a wide range of financial products and services, including retirement, asset management and insurance through our diverse family of financial services companies. The company was founded in 1879.
PFG is a #3 (Hold) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of B.
It also boasts a Value Style Score of A thanks to attractive valuation metrics like a forward P/E ratio of 11.26; value investors should take notice.
Four analysts revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days for fiscal 2026. The Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.06 to $9.37 per share. PFG boasts an average earnings surprise of +1.7%.
With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Value and VGM Style Scores, PFG should be on investors' short list.
Mettler-Toledo (MTD) was a big mover last session on higher-than-average trading volume. The latest trend in earnings estimate revisions might not help the stock continue moving higher in the near term.
Key Takeaways VSH has surged 313.5% in 2026, outperforming ON's 119.3% gain amid strong execution.Vishay posted Q1 revenue growth of 17.3% as automotive, industrial and AI demand accelerated.ON saw Q1 revenues rise 5%, supported by EV silicon carbide growth and expanding AI data center demand. Automotive electrification, rising semiconductor content per vehicle, and AI-driven infrastructure spending continue to reshape the semiconductor landscape. These factors are creating significant opportunities for both Vishay Intertechnology (VSH - Free Report) and ON Semiconductor (ON - Free Report) .
Vishay is benefiting from accelerating momentum under its “Vishay 3.0” transformation strategy, which is helping the company capture market share across automotive electronics, industrial semiconductors, and AI-related power applications.
ON Semiconductor remains a major player in EV power systems, silicon carbide solutions, and AI data center power management. While both stocks have surged in 2026, with VSH gaining 313.5% compared with ON's 119.3%, Vishay's strong execution suggests it offers a more compelling upside opportunity for the remainder of 2026.
Looking ahead, both companies appear well positioned to benefit from favorable secular trends in EV adoption, industrial automation, and AI infrastructure spending. However, their growth narratives differ meaningfully.
Vishay is entering a broad-based recovery cycle with accelerating order momentum, expanding capacity, and increasing share gains across multiple end markets. ON Semiconductor, while benefiting from improving cyclical recovery and AI power demand, remains somewhat more dependent on the successful execution of its restructuring and portfolio optimization strategy.
YTD Price Chart VSH vs ON

Case for VSHVishay’s strongest advantage lies in the successful execution of its aggressive Vishay 3.0 transformation strategy, which is fundamentally changing the company’s growth profile. In the first quarter of 2026, revenues increased 17.3% year over year to $839 million, exceeding guidance and reflecting strong growth across all end markets, channels, and geographies. Management emphasized that increased consumption, higher inventory replenishment, and market share gains were driving stronger volume growth. The company's total book-to-bill improved to an impressive 1.34, with backlog rising 21% to $1.6 billion.
Automotive remains one of Vishay’s most promising growth engines. Automotive revenues rose 2.7% sequentially, driven by accelerated hybrid and EV production programs and rising semiconductor content per vehicle.
Management highlighted that Vishay is now the top resistor supplier to multiple OEMs launching new EV platforms and expects these programs to scale through at least 2028. Industrial demand also remains exceptionally strong, with AI infrastructure projects in North America driving demand for power transmission, power supplies, smart grid solutions, and next-generation 800-volt power management systems for data centers.
The company is also aggressively investing in silicon carbide products and expanding manufacturing capacity through its new 12-inch German fab. Risks linger around elevated capital expenditure and near-term negative free cash flow, but operational momentum remains exceptionally strong.
AXT currently sports a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy). You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank stocks here.
VSH’s Sales & EPS Estimate
Case for ONON Semiconductor continues to execute its long-term strategy centered around EV power systems, silicon carbide, industrial automation, and rapidly expanding AI data center opportunities. First-quarter revenues improved 5% year over year to $1.51 billion, while gross margin improved for the third consecutive quarter to 38.5%. These gains reflect benefits from portfolio optimization and manufacturing restructuring initiatives. Management emphasized that the company has likely exited the cyclical trough and expects stronger growth in the second half.
The company remains particularly well positioned within EV power systems, where demand for silicon carbide content continues to expand rapidly. ON disclosed that its silicon carbide solutions now hold roughly 55% share of new EV models introduced at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show.
ON’s China automotive revenues grew despite a 6% decline in broader passenger vehicle demand. AI data center revenues grew more than 30% sequentially during the first quarter, with management expecting AI-related revenues to double in 2026.
Additional strength is emerging from gallium nitride products, industrial automation, robotics sensing systems, and power solutions supporting hyperscaler infrastructure. However, ON remains exposed to cyclical automotive recovery risk, inventory normalization, and the need to successfully execute its ongoing portfolio rationalization initiatives.
ON Semiconductor currently carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).

Valuation ComparisonVSH trades at a forward P/E of 52.79X, significantly above the broader sector average of 23.82X and far above its own five-year median valuation of 12.63X. While the premium valuation reflects substantial optimism, investors appear increasingly rewarding Vishay’s accelerating market share gains, improving margins, and growing exposure to higher-value automotive and industrial semiconductor markets.

ON trades at a forward earnings of 32.06X, above both the semiconductor sector average of 23.82X and its own five-year median valuation of 16.68X. While valuation remains elevated, it appears more reasonable than Vishay’s premium multiple, reflecting a more balanced investor outlook tied to steady execution rather than explosive growth expectations.
ON’s P/E F12M Chart

ConclusionBoth Vishay and ON Semiconductor are positioned to benefit from powerful long-term semiconductor growth drivers, particularly in automotive electrification, industrial automation, and AI infrastructure. ON remains a high-quality semiconductor leader with strong silicon carbide leadership, with growing hyperscaler exposure, and improving profitability.
However, Vishay currently offers the more attractive investment opportunity. Its accelerating market share gains, broad-based end-market recovery, aggressive capacity expansion strategy, improving operational execution, and rapidly strengthening automotive and industrial demand create a more powerful growth narrative. Despite premium valuation levels, Vishay’s stronger momentum, and expanding competitive position make it the more compelling auto semiconductor stock to own currently.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? Developed alongside the Zacks Rank, the Zacks Style Scores are a group of complementary indicators that help investors pick stocks with the best chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.
Each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics. Just like in school, an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on -- that means the better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform.
The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:
Value ScoreFinding good stocks at good prices, and discovering which companies are trading under their true value, are what value investors like to focus on. So, the Value Style Score takes into account ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and a host of other multiples to highlight the most attractive and discounted stocks.
Growth ScoreWhile good value is important, growth investors are more focused on a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score takes projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow into account to uncover stocks that will see long-term, sustainable growth.
Momentum ScoreMomentum trading is all about taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook, and these investors live by the saying "the trend is your friend." The Momentum Style Score can pinpoint good times to build a position in a stock, using factors like one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates.

How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank The Zacks Rank, which is a proprietary stock-rating model, employs earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings expectations, to make building a winning portfolio easier.
But it can feel overwhelming to pick the right stocks for you and your investing goals with over 800 top-rated stocks to choose from.
That's where the Style Scores come in.
Since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank, the direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy.

Additionally, the company could be a top pick for growth investors. BROS has a Growth Style Score of A, forecasting year-over-year earnings growth of 22.4% for the current fiscal year.
Seven analysts revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days for fiscal 2026. The Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.03 to $0.93 per share. BROS boasts an average earnings surprise of +31.6%.
With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Growth and VGM Style Scores, BROS should be on investors' short list.
Fox Corporation (FOX - Free Report) has been beaten down lately with too much selling pressure. While the stock has lost 25.1% over the past four weeks, there is light at the end of the tunnel as it is now in oversold territory and Wall Street analysts expect the company to report better earnings than they predicted earlier.
We use Relative Strength Index (RSI), one of the most commonly used technical indicators, for spotting whether a stock is oversold. This is a momentum oscillator that measures the speed and change of price movements.
RSI oscillates between zero and 100. Usually, a stock is considered oversold when its RSI reading falls below 30.
Technically, every stock oscillates between being overbought and oversold irrespective of the quality of their fundamentals. And the beauty of RSI is that it helps you quickly and easily check if a stock's price is reaching a point of reversal.
So, by this measure, if a stock has gotten too far below its fair value just because of unwarranted selling pressure, investors may start looking for entry opportunities in the stock for benefiting from the inevitable rebound.
However, like every investing tool, RSI has its limitations, and should not be used alone for making an investment decision.
Why a Trend Reversal is Due for FOXThe RSI reading of 24.69 for FOX is an indication that the heavy selling could be in the process of exhausting itself, so the stock could bounce back in a quest for reaching the old equilibrium of supply and demand.
The RSI value is not the only factor that indicates a potential turnaround for the stock in the near term. On the fundamental side, there has been strong agreement among the sell-side analysts covering the stock in raising earnings estimates for the current year. Over the last 30 days, the consensus EPS estimate for FOX has increased 0.3%. And an upward trend in earnings estimate revisions usually translates into price appreciation in the near term.
Moreover, FOX currently has a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), which means it is in the top 5% of more than 4,000 stocks that we rank based on trends in earnings estimate revisions and EPS surprises. This is a more conclusive indication of the stock's potential turnaround in the near term. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>> .

Also included in Zacks Premium is the Focus List. This is a long-term portfolio of top stocks that have all the traits to beat the market.
Breaking Down the Zacks Focus ListBuilding an investment portfolio from scratch can be difficult, so if you could, wouldn't you take a peek at a curated list of top stocks?
That's what the Zacks Focus List offers. It's a portfolio of 50 stocks that serve as a starting point for long-term investors to build their individual portfolios. The stocks included in the list are set to outperform the market over the next 12 months.
What makes the Focus List even more helpful is that each selection is accompanied by a full Zacks Analyst Report, which explains the reasoning behind every stock's selection and why we believe it's a good pick for the long-term.
The portfolio's past performance only solidifies why investors should consider it as a starting point. For 2020, the Focus List gained 13.85% on an annualized basis compared to the S&P 500's return of 9.38%. Cumulatively, the portfolio has returned 2,519.23% while the S&P returned 854.95%. Returns are for the period of February 1, 1996 to March 31, 2021.
Focus List MethodologyWhen stocks are picked for the Focus List, it reflects our enduring reliance on the power of earnings estimate revisions.
Earnings estimates are expectations of growth and profitability, and are determined by brokerage analysts. Together with company management, these analysts examine every aspect that may affect future earnings, like interest rates, the economy, and sector and industry optimism.
Investors also need to look at what a company will earn down the road. This is why earnings estimate revisions are so important.
Stocks that receive upward earnings estimate revisions are more likely to receive even more upward changes in the future. For example, if an analyst raised their estimates last month, they're more likely to do it again this month, and other analysts are likely to do the same.
Harnessing the power of earnings estimate revisions is where the Zacks Rank comes in. The Zacks Rank, which is a unique, proprietary stock-rating model, employs earnings estimate revisions to make it easier to build a winning portfolio.
The Zacks Rank consists of four main pillars: Agreement, Magnitude, Upside, and Surprise. Each one is given a raw score, which is recalculated every night and compiled into the Rank. Then, stocks are classified into five groups, ranging from "Strong Buy" to "Strong Sell," using this data.
The Focus List is comprised of stocks hand-picked from a long list of #1 (Strong Buy) or #2 (Buy) ranked companies, meaning that each new addition boasts a bullish earnings consensus among analysts.
Since stock prices respond to revisions, it can be very profitable to buy stocks with rising earnings estimates. By buying Focus List stocks, then, you're likely getting into companies whose future earnings estimates will be raised, potentially leading to price momentum.

The recommendations of Wall Street analysts are often relied on by investors when deciding whether to buy, sell, or hold a stock. Media reports about these brokerage-firm-employed (or sell-side) analysts changing their ratings often affect a stock's price. Do they really matter, though?
Before we discuss the reliability of brokerage recommendations and how to use them to your advantage, let's see what these Wall Street heavyweights think about Cipher Digital Inc. (CIFR - Free Report) .
Cipher Digital Inc. currently has an average brokerage recommendation (ABR) of 1.24, on a scale of 1 to 5 (Strong Buy to Strong Sell), calculated based on the actual recommendations (Buy, Hold, Sell, etc.) made by 17 brokerage firms. An ABR of 1.24 approximates between Strong Buy and Buy.
Of the 17 recommendations that derive the current ABR, 14 are Strong Buy and two are Buy. Strong Buy and Buy respectively account for 82.4% and 11.8% of all recommendations.
Brokerage Recommendation Trends for CIFR
Check price target & stock forecast for Cipher Digital Inc. here>>>
While the ABR calls for buying Cipher Digital Inc., it may not be wise to make an investment decision solely based on this information. Several studies have shown limited to no success of brokerage recommendations in guiding investors to pick stocks with the best price increase potential.
Are you wondering why? The vested interest of brokerage firms in a stock they cover often results in a strong positive bias of their analysts in rating it. Our research shows that for every "Strong Sell" recommendation, brokerage firms assign five "Strong Buy" recommendations.
In other words, their interests aren't always aligned with retail investors, rarely indicating where the price of a stock could actually be heading. Therefore, the best use of this information could be validating your own research or an indicator that has proven to be highly successful in predicting a stock's price movement.
Zacks Rank, our proprietary stock rating tool with an impressive externally audited track record, categorizes stocks into five groups, ranging from Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) to Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell), and is an effective indicator of a stock's price performance in the near future. Therefore, using the ABR to validate the Zacks Rank could be an efficient way of making a profitable investment decision.
ABR Should Not Be Confused With Zacks RankIn spite of the fact that Zacks Rank and ABR both appear on a scale from 1 to 5, they are two completely different measures.
Broker recommendations are the sole basis for calculating the ABR, which is typically displayed in decimals (such as 1.28). The Zacks Rank, on the other hand, is a quantitative model designed to harness the power of earnings estimate revisions. It is displayed in whole numbers -- 1 to 5.
Analysts employed by brokerage firms have been and continue to be overly optimistic with their recommendations. Since the ratings issued by these analysts are more favorable than their research would support because of the vested interest of their employers, they mislead investors far more often than they guide.
In contrast, the Zacks Rank is driven by earnings estimate revisions. And near-term stock price movements are strongly correlated with trends in earnings estimate revisions, according to empirical research.
In addition, the different Zacks Rank grades are applied proportionately to all stocks for which brokerage analysts provide current-year earnings estimates. In other words, this tool always maintains a balance among its five ranks.
There is also a key difference between the ABR and Zacks Rank when it comes to freshness. When you look at the ABR, it may not be up-to-date. Nonetheless, since brokerage analysts constantly revise their earnings estimates to reflect changing business trends, and their actions get reflected in the Zacks Rank quickly enough, it is always timely in predicting future stock prices.
Is CIFR a Good Investment? In terms of earnings estimate revisions for Cipher Digital Inc., the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current year has remained unchanged over the past month at -$0.8.
Analysts' steady views regarding the company's earnings prospects, as indicated by an unchanged consensus estimate, could be a legitimate reason for the stock to perform in line with the broader market in the near term.
The size of the recent change in the consensus estimate, along with three other factors related to earnings estimates, has resulted in a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) for Cipher Digital Inc. You can see the complete list of today's Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) stocks here >>>>

NEW YORK, June 26, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Gross Law Firm issues the following notice to shareholders of Verra Mobility Corporation (NASDAQ: VRRM).
Shareholders who purchased shares of VRRM during the class period listed are encouraged to contact the firm regarding possible lead plaintiff appointment. Appointment as lead plaintiff is not required to partake in any recovery.

Further, the Company minimized concerns that major rent-a-cars could replace Verra with in-house solutions or outsourced alternatives. On May 26, 2026, Verra issued a press release announcing a termination notice from Avis regarding its contract and accordingly lowered its 2026 full-year financial outlook. Following this news, the price of Verra’s common stock declined dramatically. From a closing market price of $13.08 per share on May 26, 2026, Verra’s stock price fell to $3.85 per share on May 27, 2026, a decline of about 71%.

WGO's cheap valuation and 4.5% dividend yield make the contrarian case, but weak earnings, softer demand and lower guidance keep value-trap risk alive.
Key Takeaways WGO's 2026 outlook hinges on whether Motorhome RV strength can offset towable RV and marine weakness.Motorhome RV revenues rose 10.1% to $320.7M, with operating margin improving to 3% from negative 1.1%.Affordability pressure, cautious dealer ordering and weak big-ticket demand still weigh on Winnebago. Winnebago Industries, Inc. (WGO - Free Report) is navigating a split 2026 backdrop. Motorhome improvement is helping, but the broader outdoor recreation market remains pressured.
The key question is whether product breadth and brand expansion can outweigh weak discretionary demand. For now, investors have to balance a visible bright spot against still-fragile towable RV and marine trends.
Winnebago's Segmental SplitWinnebago’s business is organized around three reportable segments: Towable RV, Motorhome RV and Marine. That mix matters because the company is not moving through the cycle evenly.
Towable RV represented 45.2% of fiscal 2025 revenues, while Motorhome RV accounted for 43.7%. Marine contributed 11.1%, making it smaller but still relevant to earnings quality, dealer demand and the company’s broader outdoor recreation identity.
Thor Industries, Inc. (THO - Free Report) remains a direct RV peer because it also competes across towable and motorized recreational vehicles. Patrick Industries, Inc. (PATK - Free Report) adds a supply-chain lens, since its component exposure to RV and marine markets makes it sensitive to the same production and dealer-order trends affecting Winnebago.
WGO Finds Support in New ProductsWinnebago continues to lean on new products to defend share and broaden price-point coverage. In towables, the Access and Thrive platforms under the Winnebago brand and Grand Design’s Transcend Lite are aimed at expanding participation among buyers who remain price conscious.
The company is also refreshing the higher end of its portfolio. The ARKA off-grid adventure truck, updated Newmar offerings and Grand Design’s Worry-Free Roof technology support product differentiation in motorhomes and towables.
Marine is part of the same strategy. Barletta’s Sanza line creates a more accessible entry point into the brand while Barletta continues to build share in the U.S. aluminum pontoon segment.
Winnebago Gets a Lift From MotorhomesThe Motorhome RV segment is the clearest support point in Winnebago’s latest results. Segment revenues rose 10.1% year over year to $320.7 million in the fiscal third quarter of 2026.
The profit improvement was more important than the sales gain. Motorhome RV generated operating income of $9.6 million and a 3% operating margin, compared with an operating loss of $3.2 million and a negative 1.1% margin in the year-ago quarter.
Higher unit volume and selective price adjustments helped the segment, partly offset by higher input costs. Management also cited traction at Grand Design Motorized, execution at Newmar and broader share gains across key motorhome categories.
WGO Still Faces Demand HeadwindsThe bullish case still runs into a difficult retail backdrop. Consumers remain interested in outdoor recreation, but affordability pressure, cumulative inflation, elevated interest rates and uncertainty around geopolitical events are delaying big-ticket purchases.
Dealer behavior is another drag. Management pointed to more deliberate ordering, with dealers focused on inventory quality, carrying costs and retail sell-through rather than adding wholesale volume.
These pressures are showing up outside motorhomes. Towable RV revenues fell 26.1% year over year in the fiscal third quarter of 2026, while Marine revenues declined 8.3%. Both segments also saw lower operating margins as volume deleverage, product mix and higher input costs weighed on performance.
What Winnebago’s Stock Signals Say NowThe bottom line is that Winnebago has one meaningful operating bright spot, but the stock still carries a weak short-term profile. Motorhome strength gives WGO a recovery argument, while towables, marine and consumer affordability keep that argument from looking clean.
WGO currently carries a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell). The Value Score of A supports the view that valuation screens well, and the Growth Score of B and VGM Score of B are not dismissive of the company’s broader financial profile.
The Momentum Score of D keeps the signal mix cautious. Since Zacks Style Scores are designed to complement the Zacks Rank, the unfavorable rank makes it harder to treat WGO’s valuation as enough on its own. Investors may need clearer evidence that motorhome strength can spread across the portfolio before becoming more constructive.

Key Takeaways KR, WOR, DAL, NECB and WKC recently announced higher dividends for shareholders.Persistent inflation and market uncertainty are boosting focus on dividend-paying stocks. Each featured stock has raised dividends multiple times in the past five years with modest payout ratios. The financial markets remain volatile as mixed U.S. economic data give investors more reasons to stay cautious. Inflation remains sticky, with May Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE), the Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation gauge, rising 4.1% year over year, the highest level since April 2023. Core PCE reached 3.4%. To counter growing inflation risk, the Fed has kept interest rates unchanged in the range of 3.50-3.75%, signaling that some policymakers still expect another rate hike this year, reinforcing concerns that borrowing costs could stay higher for longer.
The cracks are becoming harder to ignore. Housing starts fell to a six-month low of 1.177 million, far below expectations, while durable goods orders dropped 4.5% in May. Manufacturing data also showed uneven momentum, with New York factory activity slowing sharply despite remaining in expansion territory. Although first-quarter GDP was revised up to 2.1% and consumer spending continued, persistent inflation suggests the economy faces growing pressure, making investors wary about the outlook for growth and corporate earnings.
Amid such market conditions, cautious investors who wish to diversify their portfolios and pick dividend-paying stocks can keep a tab on some prominent names like The Kroger Co. (KR - Free Report) , Worthington Enterprises, Inc. (WOR - Free Report) , Delta Air Lines (DAL - Free Report) , Northeast Community Bancorp (NECB - Free Report) and World Kinect Corporation (WKC - Free Report) . Companies that pay out dividends consistently indicate a healthy business model. Stocks that have raised dividends recently exhibit a sound financial structure and can counter market upheavals. Moreover, stocks that tend to reward investors with a high dividend payout outperform non-dividend-paying entities in a highly volatile market.

Key Takeaways The Standard Commercial Lines segment generated 71% of total revenues and 79% of net premiums written in 2025.Expansion into new states, including Kansas in 2025, supports premium growth and broader market presence.Higher new business, pricing, renewal exposure and retention continue to drive growth in the segment. Selective Insurance Group, Inc. (SIGI - Free Report) has a strong presence in the standard commercial lines market, focusing primarily on small and middle-market businesses. SIGI sells the Standard Commercial Lines property and casualty insurance products and services to commercial enterprises, typically businesses, non-profit organizations, and local government agencies, primarily in 36 states and the District of Columbia.
Selective Insurance continues to expand its Standard Commercial Lines footprint with the goal of a near national presence, while maintaining an agent-driven distribution model. Since 2017, SIGI has added 14 states to the Standard Commercial Lines footprint, including Kansas in 2025. In the first quarter of 2026, these expansion states produced $125 million in premiums, representing approximately 9% of total direct premiums written and 1% marginal total premium growth. By concentrating on well-understood industries, maintaining strong independent agency partnerships and exercising disciplined pricing, SIGI has consistently generated underwriting results that compare favorably with many peers across the commercial property and casualty insurance industry.

SummaryCognition Therapeutics is currently prioritizing zervimesine for DLB psychosis. This is after the FDA’s feedback gave their planned pivotal program a clearer path.Basically, DLB psychosis has no approved therapy, and zervimesine is a promising oral once-daily drug that already has interesting Phase 2 data.CGTX’s SHIMMER trial was a good start, but their next trial must confirm longer-lasting hallucination and delusion benefits.I do believe their narrowed focus helps to some extent. Still, CGTX’s runway only lasts into Q2 2027, while the pivotal start is expected around mid-2027.So, despite its potential dilution risks, I feel CGTX’s zervimesine potential for DLB warrants a speculative “Buy” at an EV of just $71.9 million.
