XRP trades at $1.08 as resistance at $1.10 holds, technical outlook mixed
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP has encountered persistent resistance around the $1.09 to $1.10 range after a series of failed recovery attempts throughout July. This price action has positioned the coin at a pivotal juncture, as bulls have yet to regain momentum following a notable decline in June. Despite stabilizing above key support levels, the path forward remains uncertain for the digital asset.

XRP tests major technical resistanceRecent trading saw XRP struggle to move above the convergence of the 50-day and 100-day moving averages, both of which have formed a formidable resistance zone for the token. Prices are currently hovering near $1.08, with buyers unable to sustain a breakout attempt from an ascending triangle pattern. Instead, the asset has slipped back below its previous breakout area, consolidating just under critical resistance.

The failed breakout effort and minimal subsequent decline indicate that sellers remain active whenever the price approaches dynamic resistance lines. So far, overall momentum has not shifted in favor of buyers, leaving the longer-term technical picture unchanged.

Technical indicators show the 200-day moving average trending higher, with the level now standing at roughly $1.21. This configuration suggests that bulls face considerable challenges before the outlook can improve over the long term.

Volume and momentum signal market hesitancyTrading volumes have stayed muted throughout the latest recovery attempts. Sustained increases in participation are generally necessary for substantial breakouts, yet the current quiet market implies that conviction is still lacking among both buyers and sellers.

Repeated advances toward the $1.10 mark have been turned back in the absence of stronger buying volume. Many traders are now watching closely for evidence of renewed momentum. The Relative Strength Index (RSI), which measures market momentum, currently stands near 46, slightly below the neutral 50 mark, indicating a mild bearish tilt but no extreme conditions.

XRP is consolidating just below the 50-day and 100-day moving averages, while volume remains subdued and momentum indicators reveal a market searching for direction.

Although selling pressure has eased since the sharp June drop, buyers have not displayed the conviction required for a sustained upward move. The absence of overbought signals does, however, offer scope for a potential rebound if conditions shift.

Key levels to watch for XRPTechnical analysts point to a strong daily close above the $1.10 resistance zone as a prerequisite for a more optimistic scenario. Should XRP regain the 50-day and 100-day moving averages on convincing volume, attention would likely turn toward the next major resistance found near the 200-day moving average at $1.21.

On the downside, the $1.05 to $1.06 area serves as immediate support. Further declines below this band could open the door for another test of the $1.00 psychological level. With XRP now trading between significant support and resistance zones, traders are watching closely to see if the coin can break from its current range and establish a clear directional trend.

XRP ETFs Defy Market Weakness, Reach Record $1.5B in Cumulative Inflows
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP ETFs have reached a new milestone, setting a record for cumulative net inflows despite XRP’s price struggles extending into the 12th month.

Specifically, on July 27, the ETF products pushed their cumulative net inflows to $1.50 billion, marking a new all-time high. The increase came after the funds recorded $592,470 in net inflows that day.

Before this, cumulative inflows had remained unchanged at $1.49 billion for three consecutive trading days, with the ETFs posting no net flows from July 22 through July 24 at the close of the previous week.

Early Momentum Gave Way to Slower but Steady Growth The latest milestone represents the first time XRP ETFs have accumulated $1.50 billion in net inflows since they began trading in November 2025.

XRP ETFs Cumulative Inflows | Sosovalue Notably, the products attracted capital quickly after launch, reaching $1 billion in cumulative inflows by mid-December 2025, less than a month after the first spot XRP ETF entered the market.

This early period saw strong investor demand. Daily inflows regularly exceeded $20 million, with the ETFs attracting $164 million on Nov. 24, 2025, and an even larger $243 million on Nov. 14, 2025.

The pace changed after cumulative inflows climbed above $1.2 billion in early January 2026. On Jan. 7, 2026, the ETFs recorded their first daily net outflow, with $40.8 million leaving the funds.

Although inflows picked up again afterward, they slowed enough for cumulative inflows to fall to $1.17 billion by the end of January 2026.

Investor Interest Remained Strong as XRP Lost Value The ETFs recovered after January and continued to attract fresh capital. While a few trading sessions ended with net outflows, inflows outweighed outflows on most days.

This consistent demand helped cumulative inflows climb to $1.30 billion in late April 2026, before rising again to $1.40 billion in May 2026. The funds then spent the next two months working toward another milestone before finally reaching $1.50 billion.

This progress came even as XRP remained under heavy selling pressure. During the same period, the token lost 70% of its value from its all-time high of $3.6.

Monthly XRP ETF Flows Remain Mostly Positive in 2026 The trend has remained largely positive throughout this year despite XRP’s weak price performance. While the cryptocurrency has fallen 41% since the beginning of the year, XRP ETFs have continued to record positive monthly inflows almost every month.

XRP ETF Monthly Flows | Sosovalue The funds brought in $15.59 million in January 2026, followed by $58.09 million in February 2026. They then recorded their first monthly net outflow in March 2026, when investors pulled $31.16 million from the products. So far, March remains the only month to finish with negative net flows.

Since then, the ETFs have returned to positive territory every month. They recorded their strongest monthly performance of the year in May 2026, attracting $131.94 million in net inflows.

Overall, the funds have added $329 million in cumulative net inflows during 2026, helping lift their overall cumulative inflows to the new record of $1.50 billion.

Bitwise Leads ETF Rankings Among all XRP ETF issuers, the Bitwise XRP ETF now holds the largest share of cumulative inflows. The fund has attracted $500 million, giving it 33% of the total $1.50 billion accumulated since launch. It recently moved ahead of the Canary Capital XRP ETF, despite entering the market after Canary.

Bitwise Leads XRP ETF Race The Canary Capital XRP ETF now ranks second with $466.97 million in cumulative net inflows, accounting for 31% of the overall total. Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ ETF follows in third place with $422.45 million in cumulative inflows, while Grayscale’s XRP ETF (GXRP) ranks fourth after bringing in $131.46 million.

The 21Shares XRP ETF (TOXR) remains the only product still in negative territory. Since its launch, it has recorded -$20.06 million in cumulative net flows.

Is this the rock-bottom level for $XRP?
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP is trading around $1.08 as of late July 2026, a sharp drop from the highs above $3 posted last year. The token briefly touched $1.06 recently, putting the key psychological floor at $1.00 firmly in focus.

A Prolonged Downtrend With Mixed On-Chain Signals The daily timeframe reveals XRP locked in a downward trajectory that originated in July 2025. XRP remains in a short-term bearish trend, with various support levels previously thought to be secure lost in June, and the token now trading just above the psychological level of $1, experiencing lower highs and lower lows.

Yet the picture beneath the surface is more complicated. XRP has recorded one of its largest exchange outflow days of 2026, while US spot XRP ETFs continue to attract steady institutional demand. Santiment linked large outflow days to historically bullish price action, while ETF inflows showed steady institutional demand. However, those signals have not yet translated into a sustained price recovery. XRP keeps finding bullish narratives underneath the surface, but price keeps ignoring them. Exchange balances are shrinking and ETF money is still coming in, yet none of that stopped XRP from losing another support level, which is usually a sign that technical selling is overwhelming longer-term accumulation.

The $1.00 Level Is the Line That Matters Downside support sits at $1.00. A thick band of buying activity between $1.00 and $1.06 has kept the price from slipping further, though a daily close below $1 could open the door toward $0.80. TradingView's daily technical summary has indicated a strong sell signal from moving averages and mostly neutral oscillators.

XRP has been chopping around the $1.08 to $1.10 range despite mixed momentum in the broader crypto market, neither staging a decisive breakout nor slipping into a sharp correction, suggesting traders are waiting for a stronger catalyst before taking fresh positions. A breakout above $1.15 would target the $1.20 to $1.25 range, while $1.07 remains crucial for bulls.

No one can say with certainty that current levels represent a floor. Higher buying activity and a clearer macro catalyst could confirm a reversal, but the dominant trend remains bearish until the charts say otherwise. Cryptocurrency is an extremely volatile and risky asset. Always do your own research before making any investment decisions.

XRP Unlocks New ETF Milestone at $1.5 Billion
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News

Despite the slowdown in retail activity on XRP, institutional interest has appeared consistent as the XRP ETF market continued to see a new influx of capital even when sentiment is weak.

Although institutional demand has slowed, it has remained consistent, causing the XRP funds to collectively record decent net inflows on most trading days.

XRP ETFs hit major milestone Per data from SosoValue, XRP spot ETFs have collectively reached the $1.5 billion mark in cumulative net inflows as of Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

HOT Stories

While this marks a major milestone for the XRP ETF market, it has come after the funds recorded $584,710 in daily net inflows during their latest trading session.

You Might Also Like

The milestone has brought the total net assets to a massive $988.7 million, approaching the $1 billion mark, signaling growing demand for XRP exposure among investors through regulated platforms.

The XRP ETFs have also achieved a massive $10.35 million in daily trading volume, reflecting steady market activity from institutional investors.

Franklin Templeton takes dominanceIt is important to note that the continued demand from institutional investors does not span across all existing funds; only a few issuing companies have sustained the market with fresh capital.

During their last trading session, Franklin Templeton's XRPZ was the only ETF to attract fresh capital on the day. Hence, the fund recorded the entire $584,710 inflow recorded on that day.

While XRP institutional investors appear to be more drawn to the fund, Franklin Templeton's XRP ETF now manages $254.35 million in assets and has so far seen about 542,900 XRP flow into its product.

Franklin Templeton records $592,000 inflow to spot XRP ETF, outpaces rivals
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Franklin Templeton’s spot XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF) recorded a net inflow of $592,000 during the latest trading session, outpacing other XRP ETFs, which saw no new capital. This development drew attention from market observers and sparked discussion around institutional strategies in the digital asset space.

Institutional activity singles out Franklin TempletonCrypto market commentator Digital Asset Investor highlighted that Franklin Templeton clients were the only group to allocate fresh capital to a spot XRP ETF, citing data from BankXRP. Competing providers, including Bitwise, Canary, Grayscale, and 21Shares, reported zero inflows over the same period.

The commentator interpreted this selective buying as a sign of potential institutional confidence ahead of possible regulatory developments in the United States. In recent commentary, Digital Asset Investor questioned whether this accumulation pointed to firms positioning themselves ahead of anticipated market shifts.

Franklin Templeton, a global asset management leader, has consistently advocated for clearer digital asset regulation. The firm has previously voiced support for the proposed CLARITY Act, which aims to define regulatory oversight between the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Franklin Templeton’s targeted inflow stands in stark contrast to its competitors and is viewed by market watchers as a potential indication of early institutional moves ahead of possible regulatory clarity.

Many institutional players have labeled regulatory ambiguity as a key obstacle to significant investment in the digital asset segment. Market watchers suggest that once there is a more certain legal landscape, institutions could commit larger capital reserves to assets such as XRP.

Potential supply squeeze as ETF demand continuesDigital Asset Investor also noted that accumulation by spot ETFs could lower the quantity of XRP available on exchanges. Spot ETFs typically hold the underlying asset in custody, removing it from the circulating supply. If demand from institutional investors increases—particularly after possible regulatory changes—this reduced liquid supply could intensify market movements.

U.S.-listed spot XRP ETFs have seen their total assets under management climb past $1 billion, reflecting growing interest even as net inflows remain modest on a day-to-day basis. Supporters view the ongoing accumulation as an indicator of steady, if gradual, institutional adoption.

This gradual micropattern of ETF inflows, while currently limited in size, is cited as a signal of the direction institutional involvement might take should regulatory certainty emerge to unlock additional allocations.

Some commentators predict that this pattern could accelerate with clarity around legal and regulatory guidelines. If such certainty triggers a surge in institutional investments, the combined effects of ETF accumulation and additional large-scale buying could quickly absorb remaining tokens on exchanges.

This development resonates with growing interest in platforms enabling direct asset access. For instance, 1stepSwap has gained attention for connecting real-world assets with blockchain markets, allowing investors to buy shares of leading U.S. stocks and commodities like gold and silver through their crypto wallets. Its core feature is the ability to identify and secure the best market price in real time, supporting diversification while eliminating unnecessary intermediaries.

While the $592,000 inflow is comparatively small relative to Franklin Templeton’s overall asset base, it underscores the selective and strategic approach institutions may take if regulatory reforms change the investment environment for XRP and similar tokens.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is set to speak at the 2026 Wyoming Blockchain Symposium, one of the year’s most influential crypto policy events. He will join SEC Chairman Paul Atkins, Senator Tim Scott, and other industry leaders to discuss the future of digital assets just weeks after Congress returns from its August recess.

Brad Garlinghouse Joins Top U.S. Crypto Leaders in WyomingThe 2026 Wyoming Blockchain Symposium will take place from Aug. 17 to Aug. 20 at the Four Seasons Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

The invitation only event is jointly hosted by SALT and crypto exchange Kraken, bringing together around 500 institutional investors, regulators, blockchain founders, and policymakers.

Garlinghouse will share the stage with several influential names, including,

SEC Chairman Paul S. AtkinsSenate Banking Committee Chairman Sen. Tim ScottHouse Majority Whip Tom EmmerGalaxy Digital CEO Michael NovogratzStellar Development Foundation CEO Denelle DixonBitGo CEO Mike BelsheSecuritize CEO Carlos DomingoUnlike public crypto conferences, the symposium focuses on closed-door discussions around regulation, institutional adoption, and blockchain innovation.

Why Garlinghouse’s Appearance MattersGarlinghouse’s attendance comes at an important time for Ripple.

One major reason is the expected presence of SEC Chairman Paul Atkins. After four years of legal battles between Ripple and the SEC, the event could open the door for discussions on future crypto rules

In addition to this, Ripple may also promote its RLUSD stablecoin and show how the XRP Ledger (XRPL) can support payments, tokenized assets, and regulated stablecoins.

Another key topic could be the future of the CLARITY Act. Since the conference begins shortly after Congress returns from its August recess, discussions may focus on alternative regulatory paths if lawmakers fail to move the legislation forward.

Coinpedia news reported that SEC Chair Paul Atkins said the SEC can move ahead with rulemaking under its existing powers if lawmakers fail to pass the CLARITY Act.

Key Topics of Discussion: Blockchain, AI, and BitcoinOrganizers said the symposium event will focus on three major themes, including,

XRP analyst targets $100 price, community reacts with skepticism
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Crypto analyst Steph Is Crypto has issued a bold price target for $XRP, stating on X that the cryptocurrency will “teleport to $100” and advised followers to “be ready.” The post featured a long-term XRP price chart, suggesting a potential breakout from the current consolidation phase toward triple-digit levels.

Chart projection without supporting analysisSteph Is Crypto shared a chart indicating XRP trading within a wide consolidation range, followed by a projected upward surge to prices above $100. The visual suggested expectations of a major bullish expansion, though it lacked specific technical indicators or an explanation of the underlying rationale.

The analyst did not provide a timeline for when XRP might achieve the $100 mark or detail any catalysts that could support such an increase. The focus was placed almost exclusively on the graphic projection and a succinct message encouraging investors to prepare for a substantial move.

While the forecast sparked significant interest on X, it did not include a technical explanation or timeline, relying instead on visual chart predictions and a call for readiness among investors.

The $100 prediction sparked immediate debate among community members. Jesse O questioned the credibility of such ambitious calls, asserting that overly optimistic influencer commentary often results in contrary outcomes. He indicated plans to increase his XRP holdings only if the price falls toward $0.30.

Commenter Cobra Dexter shared skepticism, arguing that XRP is more likely to drop below $1 before experiencing any notable increase. He pointed out what he viewed as excessive hype surrounding XRP on social media, emphasizing the need for analysis grounded in tangible data rather than broad optimism.

Tison Alpha News echoed these concerns, remarking that a rise to $100 would depend on major fundamental developments rather than sentiment. This commenter called for a detailed roadmap outlining the practical steps required for XRP to reach such a level, stressing that price targets need measurable drivers.

Not all reactions focused solely on price movement. A user identified as SomeSillyMan highlighted XRP’s primary design as a utility asset for facilitating fast payments and cross-border settlements, noting the distinction between XRP’s intended use and Bitcoin‘s role as decentralized electronic cash.

Broader market monitoring and investor toolsAs XRP continues to trade within its consolidation range and price forecasts remain subjects of debate, both investors and analysts increasingly emphasize the importance of tracking market movements and staying informed about macroeconomic factors. Tools such as CryptoAppsy, which streamline crypto investments by offering real-time prices, detailed performance charts, and multi-currency portfolio management on a unified dashboard, help users stay alert. With smart price alerts, curated news feeds, and discovery of newly listed altcoins, CryptoAppsy allows investors to capitalize on emerging trends and monitor pivotal macro data, including Federal Reserve interest rate decisions.

Most reactions underscored that price projections such as $100 for XRP require either compelling technical analysis or concrete market developments, rather than reliance on community excitement.

Steph Is Crypto’s projection, lacking an analytical basis or evidence-backed support, remains speculative. The target reflects a personal market perspective and has not been corroborated by external data or consensus among the broader XRP community.

Ripple Price Forecast: XRP builds recovery momentum as whales increase exposure
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Ripple (XRP) rises toward the pivotal $1.10 resistance on Thursday, marking three consecutive days of gains. This neutral-to-slightly bullish outlook follows the Federal Reserve (Fed) decision to leave interest rates unchanged in the 3.50%-3.75% range.

Fed Chair Kevin Warsh embraced a hawkish tone in the post-meeting press conference, underlining the central bank’s direction toward “only one target and it is 2%” inflation. Warsh emphasized that the Fed under his leadership “will deliver the 2% target.”

XRP whales keep accumulating despite weak market sentimentLarge volume holders with between 10,000 XRP and 100,000 XRP have continued to increase their risk exposure, as their cumulative holdings climb to 11.9% of the total supply on Thursday, up from 11.75% the day before and 11.64% on July 1.

According to Santiment, investors with between 100,000 XRP and 1 million XRP have also increased their appetite to hold 11.75% of the token’s total supply, up from 11.45% on July 1.

Interestingly, demand for XRP surged amid growing risk-off sentiment in the broader cryptocurrency market, primarily attributed to rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and macroeconomic uncertainty ahead of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting on Wednesday. If sustained, higher demand would absorb selling pressure, easing resistance and supporting a short to medium-term breakout.

XRP Supply Distribution | Source: SantimentRetail demand shows signs of increasing, with perpetual futures Open Interest (OI) averaging 2.27 billion XRP on Thursday, up from 2.25 billion XRP the previous day. However, the current level falls below this week’s high of 2.29 billion XRP, undermining risk appetite.

XRP Futures OI | Source: CoinGlassTechnical analysis: XRP bulls eye short-term breakout XRP trades at $1.08, keeping a bearish near-term tone as price remains capped beneath the Bollinger middle layer at roughly $1.10 and all key Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs). The 50-day EMA at $1.13, together with the upper Bollinger band around $1.14, reinforces a dense resistance zone overhead, while the 100-day and 200-day EMAs at $1.21 and $1.41 suggest that the broader trend still leans lower.

Momentum is soft, with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) hovering near 45 on the daily chart and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) fractionally negative, hinting at fading bullish attempts.

XRP/USDT daily chartOn the downside, initial support lies at the lower Bollinger band near $1.05, where dip buyers could attempt to stabilize the pair. As long as XRP trades below the $1.10 Bollinger midline boundary and remains under the clustered resistance formed by the 50-day EMA at $1.13 and the upper band at $1.14, rallies are likely to be corrective and vulnerable to renewed selling, with a break under $1.05 opening the door to further weakness toward the prior psychological lows such as the $1.00 level.

Only a certain number of these assets can be minted by mining, staking or other mechanisms. This is defined by the algorithm of the underlying blockchain technology. On the other hand, circulating supply can also be decreased via actions such as burning tokens, or mistakenly sending assets to addresses of other incompatible blockchains.

Market capitalization is the result of multiplying the circulating supply of a certain asset by the asset’s current market value.

Trading volume refers to the total number of tokens for a specific asset that has been transacted or exchanged between buyers and sellers within set trading hours, for example, 24 hours. It is used to gauge market sentiment, this metric combines all volumes on centralized exchanges and decentralized exchanges. Increasing trading volume often denotes the demand for a certain asset as more people are buying and selling the cryptocurrency.

Funding rates are a concept designed to encourage traders to take positions and ensure perpetual contract prices match spot markets. It defines a mechanism by exchanges to ensure that future prices and index prices periodic payments regularly converge. When the funding rate is positive, the price of the perpetual contract is higher than the mark price. This means traders who are bullish and have opened long positions pay traders who are in short positions. On the other hand, a negative funding rate means perpetual prices are below the mark price, and hence traders with short positions pay traders who have opened long positions.

Ripple and Stellar outlook: Mixed signals leave XRP and XLM at crossroads
XLM Stellar Lumens XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Ripple (XRP) and Stellar (XLM) are trading at critical technical levels on Thursday. XRP has stabilized above the psychological $1.00 support, while XLM is testing support at $0.173. Traders should be cautious as mixed derivatives metrics keep the outlook uncertain for both altcoins.

Mixed sentiment among tradersDerivatives data shows mixed sentiment among traders. CoinGlass’ long-to-short ratio for XRP reads 1.02 on Thursday. A ratio above one indicates bullish sentiment, as traders are betting the asset price will rise. Meanwhile, XLM's ratio has dropped to 0.84, near a one-month low, indicating traders are increasingly betting on further downside.

XLM long-to-short ratio chart. Source: CoinglassFunding rate data also points to diverging sentiment between XRP and XLM. XRP funding rates flipped positive on Tuesday, reading 0.0094% on Thursday, indicating that long traders are paying shorts and reflecting a bullish bias. In contrast, for XLM, the funding rate flipped negative on Wednesday, reading -0.0024%, indicating that shorts are paying longs and signaling bearish sentiment.

XLM funding rates chart. Source: CoinglassXRP technical outlook: Holds above key $1 supportXRP price trades at $1.076 on Thursday, keeping a bearish near-term bias as price stays below the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $1.129, the 100-day EMA at $1.215, and the 200-day EMA at $1.421. The alignment of these EMAs above spot suggests a capped market, while the Relative Strength Index (RSI) near 43 hints at subdued but not oversold momentum. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) has slipped marginally into negative territory, reinforcing the idea of fading upside pressure as rallies stall beneath clustered EMA resistance.

On the topside, initial resistance is seen at the 50-day EMA at $1.129, ahead of the 100-day EMA at $1.215 and the horizontal barrier at $1.300. Higher up, the 200-day EMA at $1.421 and the distant horizontal line at $1.900 mark broader recovery levels that would need to be reclaimed to neutralize the current bearish structure.

On the downside, immediate support sits at the psychological $1.000 handle, where a firm break would expose deeper losses. At the same time, a sustained defense of this floor could underpin a corrective bounce toward the mentioned EMA caps.

XLM funding rates chart. Source: CoinglassXLM technical outlook: Weakening momentum indicatorsXLM price trades at $0.172 on Thursday, holding a bearish near-term bias as price remains below the 50-day, 100-day and 200-day EMAs clustered between roughly $0.185 and $0.196. The pair is hovering just under the 78.6% Fibonacci retracement at $0.173, suggesting topside attempts are being rejected near this pivot area, while the RSI around 38 and the MACD in negative territory both hint at weak recovery momentum and lingering downside risk.

On the topside, immediate resistance is located at the 78.6% Fibonacci retracement at $0.173, followed by the horizontal barrier at $0.177, with the EMA cluster at $0.185 and then the 200-day EMA at $0.196 reinforcing a broader supply zone ahead of the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement level at $0.200.

On the downside, key support is seen at the horizontal floor near $0.142, just above the cycle anchor at $0.139, where buyers would be expected to defend the broader uptrend.

Ripple, Aviva Launch First Tokenized Fund On XRP Ledger: What Does It Mean for XRP?
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Ripple and Aviva Investors have launched the first tokenised fund on the XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) Ledger Wednesday, marking the first tokenized fund structure approved by the Central Bank of Ireland.

What Did Ripple And Aviva Actually Launch?According to a press release, eligible investors with digital wallets get access to the same investment objective, risk profile, and regulatory protections as the conventional fund.

All assets are held by Bank of New York Mellon (NYSE:BK).

The fund targets low-risk returns and daily liquidity through exposure to high-grade U.S. dollar-denominated short-term debt instruments.

Komainu provided regulated institutional digital asset custody and Licuido supplied the tokenisation infrastructure for the launch.

“Aviva Investors has demonstrated that it is possible to bring a regulated, institutional-grade tokenised product to market on live infrastructure, with real investor protections in place,” said Nigel Khakoo, Senior Vice President of Trading and Markets at Ripple.

Why The XRP Ledger And Why It Matters?Aviva Investors CEO Mark Versey said tokenisation is a significant development for the investment industry and that the partnership with Ripple was crucial to bringing the product to market.

The XRP Ledger has processed more than 4 billion transactions since 2012, supports nearly 8 million active wallets, and runs on 130-plus independent validators.

The CBI approval is the more consequential milestone. A regulated fund structure on a public blockchain, cleared by a major financial regulator, gives other asset managers a template to follow rather than a concept to study.

Can XRP Break Above $1.09?XRP holds at $1.09, coiling at the apex of a descending triangle that has been compressing price since the June low.

Bollinger Bands have squeezed to their tightest point since the trend began, a setup that historically precedes a sharp directional move.

All four EMAs sit overhead as resistance: 20-day at $1.10, 50-day at $1.13, 100-day at $1.22, and 200-day at $1.41.

The triangle apex is days away. A break above $1.10 targets $1.14 and above. A break below $1.05 opens $1 fast. With the Bollinger squeeze this tight, the move in either direction will carry significant momentum.

Key levels for XRP:

$1.10 — 20-day EMA, breakout trigger $1.14 — Bollinger upper band, next resistance on a confirmed break $1.05 — Bollinger lower band and triangle floor, must hold $1 — psychological support below Image: Shutterstock

Aviva Investors launches tokenized fund share class on XRP Ledger
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
First Tokenized Fund Live on XRPLAviva Investors, the asset management arm of UK insurer Aviva plc, has launched a tokenized share class of its US Dollar Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger. The move is the first tokenization of an Aviva fund and the first live product to emerge from the firm's partnership with @Ripple, which was announced in February 2026.

The launch also marks the first tokenized fund structure approved by the Central Bank of Ireland. Aviva says this regulatory clearance sets a precedent for other asset managers looking to bring regulated, blockchain-based fund structures to market inside the European framework.

Eligible investors with digital wallets gain access to the same investment objective, risk profile, and regulatory protections as the conventional fund. The fund targets low-risk returns and daily liquidity through exposure to high-grade US dollar-denominated short-term debt instruments. All assets are held by Bank of New York Mellon (@BNYglobal).

Infrastructure and Broader Context Komainu provided regulated institutional digital asset custody and Licuido supplied the tokenization infrastructure for the launch. The combination of a regulated custodian and a dedicated tokenization layer was designed to meet the standards required for institutional-grade distribution.

Aviva Investors, the asset management arm of British insurer Aviva plc, used the XRP Ledger's infrastructure to convert conventional fund products into digital tokens. The manager oversees £246 billion in total assets. The collaboration is Ripple's first with an investment management business based in Europe, building upon the firm's significant experience working with financial institutions in other regions.

Major firms including BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, and Hamilton Lane have already introduced tokenized products, signaling a shift from pilot projects to live, regulated offerings aimed at institutional investors. Aviva's launch adds further weight to that trend, particularly given the Central Bank of Ireland's sign-off, which gives other European managers a working regulatory template to reference.

Aviva Investors CEO Mark Versey said tokenization is a significant development for the investment industry and that the partnership with Ripple was crucial to bringing the product to market.

Aviva Investors, the global asset management arm of UK insurance giant Aviva plc, has rolled out a tokenized share class for its US Dollar Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger, becoming the firm’s first tokenized investment fund and deepening its collaboration with Ripple.

Launched in 2020, the Aviva Investors US Dollar Liquidity Fund is backed by high-grade US dollar-denominated short-term debt with custody provided by BNY Mellon.

The blockchain-based share class offers the same investment strategy, risk profile, daily liquidity and investor protections as the conventional fund while enabling more efficient fund operations through tokenization.

“Innovation has always been central to Aviva Investors’ heritage, and we believe that tokenization is a significant development within the investment industry,” said Mark Versey, CEO of Aviva Investors, adding that the firm expects the technology to enhance operational efficiency and deliver better outcomes for clients. He said Ripple played a key role in the launch and that the partnership will continue as the companies expand their work on tokenized funds.

The launch was enabled by regulated digital asset custodian Komainu and tokenization platform Licuido, and received approval from the Central Bank of Ireland in what the companies described as a regulatory first for tokenized fund structures.

“Aviva Investors has demonstrated that it is possible to bring a regulated, institutional-grade tokenised product to market on live infrastructure, with real investor protections in place. The XRP Ledger was built for exactly this kind of application, and we expect this launch to set a strong precedent for other asset managers looking to explore tokenised fund structures,” Nigel Khakoo, SVP for Trading and Markets at Ripple, commented.

$XRP analyst warns price will fall below $1 in 2026, new low expected
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP has encountered notable volatility, with its price steadily retreating from $1.30 toward the $1 threshold over recent weeks. The token recently touched yearly lows, leaving many investors concerned as it diverges further from earlier expectations.

XRP projected to drop below $1Technical analyst ChartNerd, active as @ChartNerdTA, reiterated his bearish outlook for XRP, stating that the cryptocurrency will sweep below $1 in 2026. He pointed to multiple signals supporting this thesis, including the formation of a weekly EMA death cross in January 2026, rejections from the 20-week EMA in May, and unsuccessful attempts to reclaim resistance at $1.29 and $1.60. According to ChartNerd, these indicators suggest that bears have retained control throughout the year.

ChartNerd’s analysis has remained unchanged since at least June, reflecting his conviction that XRP will register one last low before any meaningful rebound. Supporting this view, several other market observers anticipate a continued correction ahead of a potential rally.

He commented that any immediate recovery would likely represent a short-term relief rally rather than a sustained reversal, highlighting the risk of a further decline during the final quarter of 2026. ChartNerd also set extended downside targets at $0.70, underscoring a prevailing cautious sentiment among many analysts.

ChartNerd has argued that the technical rejection at multiple resistance levels, combined with persistent bearish signals like the weekly EMA death cross, increases the probability of XRP falling below the $1 mark before a broader recovery can begin.

The XRP community has responded with a blend of skepticism and pragmatism to ChartNerd’s outlook. Some traders expressed interest in accumulating at lower prices if XRP’s decline continues, viewing a sub-dollar move as a buying opportunity. However, others questioned whether such price action would shake investor confidence and delay any major recovery effort.

Community discussions also highlighted concerns about the reliability of technical predictions, with several participants pointing out that conviction in a buying opportunity often diminishes when prices actually reach new lows.

One user argued that if XRP does break below $1, this could trigger a sharp reversal, potentially trapping those expecting prolonged declines. ChartNerd responded by stating that he would accept being wrong if proven otherwise and would adjust his position accordingly.

Analysts signal further correction before reboundAdditional analysts joined the discussion, reinforcing expectations of a final leg lower for XRP. CasiTrades identified $0.87 as her primary downside target, with an alternative level set at $0.93. Meanwhile, Dark Defender applied Elliott Wave analysis and also placed the correction’s end near $0.93.

Collectively, the perspectives from ChartNerd, CasiTrades, and Dark Defender indicate that the market could see another significant move down before any long-term upward trend emerges. The sustained technical pressure aligns with their view that a lasting recovery remains on hold for now.

At a period when many traders are focusing on the importance of close market monitoring and timely execution, platforms like 1stepSwap are gaining traction. 1stepSwap streamlines access to real-world assets, enabling users to buy shares of major U.S. companies or commodities such as gold and silver directly from their wallets. By aggregating market prices and facilitating transactions within seconds at the most competitive rates, investors can further diversify their portfolios without intermediaries or complex processes.

As XRP continues to move through key technical levels, market participants and analysts alike are watching for signs of a decisive bottom and monitoring whether the long-anticipated rally can eventually materialize.

Ripple president highlights record institutional demand for XRP and RLUSD
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Ripple president Monica Long announced that institutional demand for both XRP and the company’s upcoming US dollar stablecoin, RLUSD, has reached unprecedented levels. The comments from Long, who oversees institutional partnerships at Ripple—a blockchain-based payments company—have caught the attention of investors and analysts across the sector.

Institutional demand at all-time highsEntrepreneur and Bitcoin advocate Lark Davis emphasized Long’s remarks, noting her observation that current institutional interest is “nothing like we’ve ever seen.” Davis pointed out that Ripple’s unique position allows it to gauge such trends firsthand. He commented that despite such significant demand, the price of XRP has not yet reacted in line with these developments.

Ripple president Monica Long described institutional demand for XRP and RLUSD as ‘unprecedented,’ signaling that interest surpasses anything in Ripple’s previous experience.

Long’s statements carry notable weight within the industry, especially considering her leadership in institutional outreach. Ripple is widely recognized for its integration with major financial entities and as a key player in advancing blockchain-based cross-border payments.

RLUSD, the new stablecoin introduced by Ripple, aims to facilitate instant payments and liquidity between institutions, leveraging blockchain technology to provide faster and more secure settlement compared to traditional systems.

Mini dictionary: RLUSD, Ripple’s US dollar-backed stablecoin designed for enterprise use, is intended to offer fast, reliable, and regulated digital settlements.

Why price has yet to reflect demandDavis explained that the lag between growing institutional interest and price action is mainly due to the nature of institutional operations. Large institutions require extensive internal processes such as board approvals, compliance verification, legal assessments, and secure custody setups before deploying capital into digital assets.

He added that while demand is present and in progress, it takes considerable time for institutions to fully participate. Unlike retail traders, institutional investors do not act on short news cycles. Their onboarding trajectory often extends over months or even years.

Demand is real and already in the pipeline. Institutions move through complex, structured approval processes, which means market reactions can be significantly delayed.

Davis also cited broader market conditions as a factor. He observed that the current bear market has generally slowed price responses to positive news, with suppressed trading volumes and muted reactions across the board.

Potential impact on XRP and RLUSDLong’s insight comes from direct visibility into Ripple’s institutional relationships. Her assessment suggests a build-up of demand behind the scenes, with negotiations and partnerships progressing that have not yet produced visible market moves.

Davis highlighted that in previous cycles, a similar dynamic occurred where prices remained stable until institutional flows reached the open market. Once onboarding is complete and large-scale capital enters, there could be significant price action in both XRP and RLUSD.

The timeline for these developments remains uncertain, as retail investors often move out before institutional allocations appear. Davis stressed that strategically positioning ahead of institutional inflows may be key for participants tracking the next phase of market growth.

Leading cryptocurrencies traded flat, while stocks sold off on Wednesday as investors digested the Federal Reserve’s policy decision and renewed Middle East hostilities.

Crypto Market RangeboundBitcoin traded in a narrow $63,000–$64,000 band on heavy volume, while Ethereum hovered around $1,900 in a similarly tight range. XRP and Dogecoin also moved sideways.

Nearly $400 million was liquidated from the cryptocurrency market in the last 24 hours, predominantly in bullish long positions, according to Coinglass data

Bitcoin’s open interest rose 1.52% over the last 24 hours. That said, retail and whale derivatives traders on Binance remained net bullish on the leading asset.

Top Gainers (24 Hours)

The global cryptocurrency market capitalization stood at $2.18 trillion, following a modest dip of 0.28% over the last 24 hours.

Stocks in Red After Fed’s Hawkish TiltStocks saw heavy sell-offs on Wednesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged 1,153.18 points, or 2.19%, to close at 51,594.14. The S&P 500 declined 1.52% to settle at 7,316.1, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite fell 1.74% to end at 24,442.94.

The Federal Reserve left its benchmark interest rate unchanged, as widely anticipated, though three policymakers dissented, favoring a 25-basis-point hike. Traders now price in a 57% chance of a rate increase during the September meeting.

In other news, the U.S. military resumed its strikes against Iran after President Donald Trump vowed a severe response to an Iranian ballistic missile strike on American forces in the Middle East.

Whales Making Most of BTC’s CorrectionAli Martinez, a widely followed cryptocurrency analyst and trader, noted that whales were buying Bitcoin’s dip.

“While Bitcoin retraces, large holders have accumulated 29,075 BTC over the past week, a sign they’re positioning through the pullback,” the analyst added.

On-chain analytics firm CryptoQuant stated that Ethereum could be poised for an upside move, as the large-transfer spikes observed in recent months have given way to “historically low transfer volumes.”

“Lower supply is a positive signal for Ethereum, but weak demand continues to keep the price range bound. A new wave of institutional buying could be the catalyst for the next upward move,” the firm added.

Grayscale CEO Files to Sell XRP ETF Shares as GXRP Shrinks
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Grayscale, the crypto asset manager overseeing more than $35 billion in assets under management (AUM), has disclosed that CEO Peter Mintzberg plans to sell 2,611 shares of the company’s XRP ETF.

The filing comes as XRP trades near $1.09, raising questions about investor demand and the ETF’s weaker position in the market.

Grayscale CEO Peter Mintzberg filed a Form 144 notice with the SEC to sell 2,611 shares of the Grayscale XRP Trust ETF, trading under the ticker GXRP. Based on the filing value of about $53,395, the shares are worth roughly $20.45 each.

Mintzberg acquired the shares on Oct. 3, 2024, through a private purchase from the trust, well before GXRP became a listed spot XRP ETF.

The proposed sale would be handled on NYSE Arca through Cantor Fitzgerald.

Meanwhile, Mintzberg is also not the first Grayscale insider to reduce exposure to GXRP. Digital Currency Group founder Barry Silbert and Grayscale Chief Legal Officer Craig Salm filed notices to sell their pre-listing GXRP shares in January 2026, when the ETF was trading near $37.

While Mintzberg’s proposed sale is small, the wider movement in GXRP shares is more important for investors.

Regulatory filings from January showed GXRP had approximately 5.79 million shares outstanding. However, more recent filings indicate that figure has declined significantly.

Since ETF share redemptions typically require the fund to sell its underlying XRP holdings and reduce the number of outstanding shares, the drop may reflect weakening investor demand.

At the same time, GXRP is facing growing competition from newly launched U.S. spot XRP ETFs. While the broader XRP ETF market has grown to more than $971 million in net assets, Grayscale now holds only about 6% of the market, according to the Soso value data.

Even so, investor interest in XRP remains strong overall, with cumulative inflows across U.S. XRP ETFs surpassing $1.5 billion.

XRP Price Faces Key $1.12 ResistanceDespite the filing news, XRP price continues to rise 2.57% in 24 hours to around $1.09.

However, the technical picture remains cautious. XRP is trading below its 30-day and 200-day moving averages, while RSI sits near 40 and MACD is close to a bearish crossover.

A daily close above $1.12 could strengthen the recovery and put $1.50 back in focus. If XRP fails to break higher, continued ETF redemptions and weaker momentum could keep the token under pressure.

The update has an immediate impact on operators using software versions prior to that. XRPScan said, “The fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment is now active. With this, all nodes running version 3.1.0 and below are amendment blocked until they upgrade to 3.2.0. Please take action to ensure service continuity.”

The latest release is also very well received in the network data. There are currently 103 validators running version 3.2.0, that is 68.67% of all validators, and 543 nodes running version 3.2.0, 64.26% of all nodes. In comparison, version 3.1.3 is still used by 37 validators (24.67%) and 268 nodes (31.72%) meaning a lot of operators have already upgraded, and some are still upgrading.

— Vet (@Vet_X0) July 29, 2026

The milestone was also noted by an XRPL dUNL validator Vet, who posted: “fix amendment for the XRP Ledger just went live, now XRPL 3.2.0 is the new min version for main net.” The validator added, “the XRP Ledger just got better in a flip of the switch moment.”

The alert comes after a previous warning issued by XRPL contributor Vet who wrote, “all nodes running XRPL versions below 3.2.0 will experience service interruptions.”  Those nodes that have not been upgraded will not be able to continue to be compatible with the network following the amendment.

What Has Changed With The Update? It includes several bug fixes and enhancements to the infrastructure and developers. It also brings in the biggest protocol change in the release, XLS-0095. The XRP Ledger’s server software officially changes its name from rippled to xrpld as part of that change. The migration started on the 15th of June and changes to configuration paths, deployment scripts, metadata references and database directories for node operators.

The fixCleanup3_2_0 patch introduces correction of rounding and accuracy problems detected in the Single Asset Vaults and Lending Protocol on XRP Ledger. It also addresses some bugs in the Permissioned DEX and Permissioned Domains, which enhances the existing functionality without adding any new network features.

XRP faces resistance at $1.20 as forecasts put 2026 target above $3
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP is struggling to break above $1.20 despite a series of supportive developments, including spot ETF launches, expanding regulatory clarity in the United States, and Ripple’s push for broader adoption of its RLUSD stablecoin. Institutional interest in both regulated products and XRP’s technology has grown, yet the market price has not followed suit, leading to a wide range of future price predictions.

Institutional and Regulatory DriversRipple, the company behind XRP, has targeted large-scale enterprises and financial institutions instead of relying solely on retail trading. It has expanded the use of RLUSD, a stablecoin designed to enhance payments and settlements for businesses, and increased focus on cross-border payments and tokenization initiatives across the XRP Ledger network.

Spot XRP ETFs introduced earlier this year initially attracted high inflows, indicating strong appetite among traditional investors. However, inflows have slowed in recent weeks. Market observers attribute this deceleration not only to evolving demand but also to greater maturity in ETF trading dynamics.

In the regulatory sphere, progress on the proposed CLARITY Act is viewed as a significant catalyst by investors seeking clearly defined rules for digital assets in the United States. Meanwhile, Ripple’s regulatory approval in Luxembourg under the European Union’s MiCA framework has facilitated its operations across the European Economic Area.

Despite these positive signals, XRP continues to trade below previous highs, highlighting that improved fundamentals have yet to result in price expansion.

Mini dictionary: RLUSD is Ripple’s US dollar-backed stablecoin aimed at enterprise payments and settlements, intended to facilitate commercial use of the XRP Ledger. The MiCA framework is a European regulation standardizing rules for crypto-asset markets across the EU.

Technical Picture and Key LevelsFrom a charting perspective, XRP remains confined to a sideways consolidation pattern. The token peaked near $3.66 in mid-2025 before establishing lower highs and stabilizing at the $1.00 support level. This support has consistently attracted buyers, helping prevent steeper declines even amid broader market downturns.

Price LevelSignificance$1.00Key psychological support$0.85Major support if $1 breaks$1.20Primary resistance zone$1.40Area of previous heavy selling$1.60Main breakout levelAbove $2.00Defines trend reversalResistance remains strong between $1.20 and $1.60, with several rally attempts failing at these marks. For a sustained uptrend, analysts believe XRP needs to clear these zones decisively, which would likely require a significant catalyst rather than simply technical momentum.

Can Upcoming Catalysts Drive a Breakout?Investors are currently monitoring multiple factors to gauge whether fundamentals will translate into a price breakout. Key developments include the progress of the CLARITY Act, continued inflows into spot ETFs, and overall growth in on-chain activity from payment providers and financial institutions using the XRP Ledger.

While spot ETF inflows have moderated compared to the period following their introduction, analysts interpret this as part of a normalization process rather than a signal of fading confidence. Sustained institutional use could further support the case for higher valuations if transaction volumes on the network increase.

Market experts emphasize that a combination of ETF inflows, regulatory clarity, increased adoption of RLUSD, and broader crypto market momentum would be required to build sustained upward pressure on XRP price.

Analyst Forecasts: Diverging Expectations for 2026Forecasts for XRP’s 2026 performance vary widely, reflecting uncertainties around adoption rates, regulatory developments, and ETF appetite. Google’s Gemini AI has projected a potential range of $2.80 to $3.75 for XRP by year-end 2026, based on a scenario where multiple positive catalysts align. Other analysis platforms such as CoinCodex and Changelly suggest more conservative price targets between $1.35 and $1.84. Coinpedia offers the possibility of prices above $3.40 under sustained bullish conditions.

2026 Price Scenarios and ProbabilitiesTo reach $3, XRP would require an increase of about 170% from the current range around $1.08–$1.10. Historically, such gains in crypto markets often depend on simultaneously favorable developments, including regulatory approval, sustained inflows from institutional investors, broader network activity, and positive market sentiment.

ScenarioPrice RangeWhat Needs to HappenBull Case$2.80-$3.50Strong ETF inflows, CLARITY Act success, surging XRP Ledger useBase Case$1.20-$1.90Modest institutional growth, moderate adoption, resistance clearedBear Case$0.85-$1.00Regulation delayed, waning ETF demand, or crypto market correctionAt present, the base case scenario appears more likely, given the lack of a confirmed uptrend and ongoing struggles to surpass key resistance levels.

The path to $3 for XRP still relies on multiple accelerating trends: rising ETF flows, major regulatory advances, and broader adoption of enterprise solutions on the XRP Ledger.

Grayscale CEO files to sell GXRP ETF shares, becoming the third insider to cash out
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Grayscale CEO Peter Mintzberg has filed Form 144 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to sell 2,611 shares of the Grayscale XRP Trust ETF (ticker: GXRP), with a total value of approximately $53,400, equivalent to $20.45 per share. Earlier, founder Barry Silbert and Chief Legal Officer Craig Salm submitted similar applications in January this year, when the per-share price stood at around $37, meaning Mintzberg’s current selling price is roughly 45% lower. Notably, GXRP’s outstanding share count has plummeted from 5.79 million to 2.84 million over the past six months, a roughly 51% drop, reflecting that redemption pressure has consistently outpaced subscriptions. Currently, the total net assets of U.S. spot XRP ETFs reach approximately $971.6 million, with GXRP accounting for around 6% of the total.

AI teacher dreams dashed: US school district pulls plug on robot teacher program after developer’s sex robot ties spark controversy

The Central School District of Salamanca in western New York State, USA, has announced the suspension of its planned pilot program to introduce the AI humanoid robot teacher "Sally" for the new semester. Developed by Realbotix, the robot is priced at approximately $60,000 per unit and was intended to serve as a classroom teaching assistant to interact with students. The project had previously sparked parental concerns over student data privacy, and further controversy arose after parents noted that Realbotix also manufactures sex robots for intimate companionship. Additionally, the local teachers' union has opposed the plan. The school district stated that the program is currently on hold, and it will continue to collaborate with the New York State Education Department to improve student data privacy agreements and maintain communication with the community. District Superintendent Mark Beehler emphasized that robots cannot replace teachers, saying "Teaching is always a human-to-human process" and that replacing teachers with robots is not in the best interest of students.

XRP must reclaim $1.23 and break $1.65 to reach $6.40, analysts say
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP investors are closely watching the cryptocurrency’s key price levels after analyst Skipper outlined a series of resistance points that could shape XRP’s path toward new highs in the coming months.

Analysts outline key resistance levelsSkipper, an influential figure in the XRP community, shared a technical roadmap that highlights important milestones for the token’s price performance. According to the analysis, XRP’s long-term bullish structure remains intact, but the asset must first maintain a support level at $0.85.

Progressing from this base, Skipper identified $1.23 as the next significant price that XRP will need to reclaim to confirm continued bullish momentum. The following resistance sits at $1.65, which analysts consider the final barrier before a move into the $3 to $3.50 range can realistically be targeted.

Analyst projections state that clearing $1.65 would shift focus toward $3 to $3.50, while a move beyond that could set new medium-term targets at $6.40. If the market structure remains constructive, the analysis includes an ambitious long-term target up to $30, contingent on successive resistance levels being surpassed.

LevelStatusNext Target$0.85Support (must hold)$1.23$1.23Key resistance to reclaim$1.65$1.65Critical resistance$3 – $3.50$3 – $3.50Major area to break$6.40$6.40Medium-term target$30 (long-term projection)Skipper emphasized that traders should watch for confirmation of each breakout before expecting the next target to be attainable, reinforcing a step-by-step approach rather than immediate price acceleration.

Recent analysis from Egrag Crypto, another well-known market observer, aligns with Skipper’s technical perspective. Egrag Crypto described XRP as currently retesting a macro breakout after recently moving above a multi-year symmetrical triangle price pattern.

He suggested that the continuity of this structure could determine whether XRP resumes a broader uptrend. Egrag Crypto maintains a $6.40 medium-term target for XRP, while also considering the possibility of a long-term rally to $30 if technical conditions continue to develop favorably.

XRP, launched by Ripple Labs, was designed to facilitate fast and cost-effective cross-border payments, making it one of the earliest utility-focused cryptocurrencies.

Mini dictionary: Symmetrical triangle, a chart pattern in technical analysis where price consolidates with lower highs and higher lows, indicating a potential breakout in either direction once the pattern completes.

Both Skipper and Egrag Crypto expect XRP’s medium-term and long-term targets to be achievable only if the token can sustain its current technical trend and successfully break through the highlighted resistance points.

The roadmap shared by Skipper sparked mixed reactions among XRP supporters. One commenter, Beauboeuf55, dismissed the value of technical analysis for XRP, arguing that the asset’s price action is more influenced by broader market factors and potential manipulation.

Beauboeuf55 stated that XRP’s progress as a utility token would depend more on regulatory advancements than on chart patterns, citing the CLARITY Act as an important legislative development for future prospects.

By contrast, XRP HERALD expressed support for the technical framework, noting that clearing the $1.23 resistance would provide traders with a meaningful first signal in a potential bullish reversal. XRP HERALD believes that breaching $1.65 could make higher price goals considerably more realistic for the asset.

Ripple Price Analysis: XRP Risks Falling Below $1 Unless It Breaks This Barrier
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP has come under renewed selling pressure after failing to sustain its previous rebound, sending the price back toward a key support region. Although buyers have stepped in to defend the latest decline, the broader technical picture still favors caution as the asset trades below major resistance levels.

XRP Price Analysis: The Daily Chart The daily chart continues to reflect a bearish market structure, with the cross-border token trading inside a long-term descending channel while remaining below both the 100-day and 200-day moving averages. The recent rejection from the upper portion of the range reinforces that sellers are still controlling the broader trend.

The $1.02 to $1.04 demand zone once again attracted buyers, triggering the latest rebound. However, the recovery remains vulnerable as long as the price stays beneath the descending trendline and the major resistance area around $1.24 to $1.28, where the moving averages also converge. A successful reclaim of this region would be the first meaningful sign that momentum is shifting in favor of the bulls.

On the downside, losing the $1.02 to $1.04 support would expose the broader demand zone around $0.89 and extend the prevailing bearish trend.

XRP/USDT 4-Hour Chart The 4-hour timeframe highlights the recent breakdown below the yellow ascending trendline, confirming that buyers have lost short-term control after failing to defend the series of higher lows. That breakdown led to a sharp decline into the $1.02 to $1.04 demand zone, where buying interest quickly emerged.

The current rebound has pushed XRP back toward the $1.08 to $1.09 resistance area, which previously acted as support before the breakdown. This makes the current rally an important retest of former support turned resistance. As long as the price remains below this zone, the recent bounce could simply represent a corrective recovery within the broader downtrend.

A rejection from the current resistance would increase the probability of another move toward the $1.02 to $1.04 demand zone. Conversely, a decisive reclaim of the $1.08 to $1.09 region would improve the short-term outlook and open the door for a recovery toward the larger supply zone around $1.16 to $1.18.

Grayscale CEO Sells GXRP as XRP Trades 70% off the Highs: What's Happening?
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News

What The Filing Actually ShowsMintzberg filed the Form 144 on July 28, listing the sale through broker Cantor Fitzgerald at $20.45 per share, according to the filing.

He still holds 2.84 million shares after the sale. A Form 144 states an intention to sell and is not confirmation that the trade has cleared.

He is the third Grayscale insider to file notice on GXRP.

Barry Silbert, who founded Digital Currency Group and owns Grayscale through it, filed as a 10% stockholder on January 26.

Meanwhile, Craig Salm, Grayscale’s chief legal officer, filed on January 23. Both January filings marked shares near $37 each, roughly 45% above where Mintzberg is marking his block today.

Why The Share Count Drop Matters More Than The SaleBoth January notices listed 5,790,100 shares outstanding. Mintzberg’s July notice lists 2,840,100, a drop of roughly 2,950,000 shares in six months, representing about 51% of the trust’s total float.

Share counts in an ETF fall when redemptions outpace creations. None of the three filings explains why this happened and Grayscale has not addressed it publicly.

At $20.45 per share, the remaining count puts the trust at roughly $58 million in assets.

U.S. spot XRP ETFs held about $971.6 million in total net assets on July 28, according to SoSoValue, leaving GXRP at roughly 6% of the category.

Goldman Sachs Already Exited XRP ETFs Earlier This YearGoldman has since publicly endorsed the Clarity Act, though its XRP ETF position remains at zero.

Where Does XRP Stand Technically?XRP trades 70% below its all-time high with the 200-day SMA at $1.37 and the 50-day SMA at $1.11 sitting well above current price.

The 20-day and 50-day SMAs both sit below the 200-day, keeping the bigger-picture trend bearish.

MACD sits below its signal line with a negative histogram, pointing to fading buying pressure rather than a recovery building.

XRP News: Aviva Investors Partners With Ripple to Launch Tokenized USD Liquidity Fund on XRPL
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
U.K. asset manager Aviva Investors has announced the launch of its first tokenized fund in partnership with crypto firm Ripple. This follows the partnership that both firms struck earlier this year to advance tokenization on the XRP Ledger (XRPL)

Aviva Investors Tokenizes USD Fund On XRP Ledger In a press release, the asset manager announced the successful launch of a tokenized share class of its USD Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger. “This marks the first tokenisation of an Aviva Investors fund, and follows the announcement of the partnership between the firm and Ripple early in the year,” the release read.

As CoinGape reported, Ripple partnered with Aviva Investors earlier this year to advance tokenization on the XRP Ledger. This is notably Ripple’s first partnership with a European investment firm to tokenize real-world assets (RWA) at scale.

Aviva Investors revealed that crypto custodian Komainu and digital platform company Licuido both supported the launch of the tokenized share class. Meanwhile, the asset manager also received approval from the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) for the launch of this tokenized fund.

Coincidentally, the launch of this tokenized fund comes as the Ripple-backed XRP Ledger fix amendment goes live. The network’s developers have continued to push upgrades in a bid to boost the network’s institutional adoption.

How The Fund Works Aviva Investors noted that the fund targets low-risk returns and daily liquidity by offering investors exposure to high-grade US dollar-denominated short-term debt instruments. The asset manager further mentioned that the new share class will be available to eligible investors with digital wallets.

Meanwhile, BNY Mellon, the fund’s custodian, will be responsible for holding the assets for these tokenized shares. “The structure has been designed to operate within existing regulatory frameworks, providing a scalable foundation for future innovation in fund distribution and market infrastructure,” the asset manager added.

The XRP Ledger continues to see increased activity in terms of tokenization. RWA.xyz data shows that the total tokenized value on the network currently stands at just over $4.3 billion. The RWA holders on the network are notably up over 17% in the last month.

XRP Ledger activates fix, blocks nodes below 3.2.0
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP Ledger has activated its fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment, making version 3.2.0 the minimum software release required for nodes to remain compatible with the mainnet.

Summary

The amendment received 85.71% validator support, with 30 votes in favor and five against. Nodes running version 3.1.0 or earlier are now amendment-blocked until operators upgrade. The update fixes issues affecting vaults, lending, permissioned trading and Multi-Purpose Tokens. Version 3.2.0 also renames the core server software from rippled to xrpld. XRP Ledger activates fix with 85.71% support XRPScan data shows that fixCleanup3_2_0 is now active after securing support from 30 of the 35 trusted validators that participated in the vote. Five validators opposed the amendment.

The fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment is now active. With this, all nodes running version 3.1.0 and below are amendment blocked until they upgrade to 3.2.0. Please take action to ensure service continuity. https://t.co/rdeqdhme0x

— XRPScan (@xrpscan) July 29, 2026 XRPL amendments that change transaction processing must maintain at least 80% support among trusted validators for two consecutive weeks before activation. The latest proposal cleared that requirement with 85.71% consensus.

Activation immediately affects infrastructure operators running older software. Nodes on version 3.1.0 or below are now “amendment blocked,” meaning they cannot follow the updated rules governing validated ledgers.

“The fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment is now active. With this, all nodes running version 3.1.0 and below are amendment blocked until they upgrade to 3.2.0. Please take action to ensure service continuity,” XRPScan said.

The warning applies to exchanges, wallet providers, payment services, developers and other businesses that operate their own XRPL infrastructure. Users holding XRP in self-custody wallets do not need to change their tokens or move funds because of the amendment.

What fixCleanup3_2_0 changes The amendment introduces a package of protocol corrections included in the XRP Ledger 3.2.0 release. It does not add a new user-facing product or alter XRP’s supply.

Among the changes are precision and rounding fixes for Single Asset Vaults and the Lending Protocol. The package also corrects an invariant affecting valid offer deletions on the Permissioned DEX.

Other changes validate non-canonical Multi-Purpose Token amounts, add a zero DomainID check for permissioned domains, and introduce an invariant that checks whether deleted accounts leave directly accessible ledger objects behind.

XRPL data cited after activation showed that 105 validators, or 70% of the network total, were running version 3.2.0. Another 35 validators, representing 23.33%, remained on version 3.1.3.

Among other nodes, 582, or 68.88%, had adopted version 3.2.0, while 228 nodes, or 26.98%, were still using version 3.1.3. Operators on 3.1.3 are above the version range identified in XRPScan’s amendment-block warning, although XRPL developers have urged all operators to complete the 3.2.0 migration.

Version 3.2.0 renames rippled to xrpld Released in mid-June, version 3.2.0 also changed the name of XRPL’s reference server implementation from “rippled” to “xrpld.” The rename follows XLS-0095, a proposal designed to link the software’s identity more directly to the XRP Ledger.

The change extends beyond the server executable. Operators upgrading from version 3.1.3 must rename the configuration file from rippled.cfg to xrpld.cfg and revise related database paths, packages, scripts, deployment settings, service definitions, and metadata.

XRPL’s migration documentation provides steps intended to preserve existing node data while replacing the former naming conventions.

Developers describe version 3.2.0 primarily as a cleanup and maintenance release. It retires amendments that had remained active for more than two years and continues dividing the libxrpl codebase into smaller modules to support future maintenance.

XRPL upgrade follows $2.6B RWA increase The activation comes as the ledger handles a growing amount of tokenized real-world assets. As crypto.news reported on July 26, XRPL added about $2.6 billion in RWA value over six months, excluding stablecoins.

That ranked the network second for net RWA inflows during the period, behind BNB Chain’s roughly $3 billion. Stellar followed with about $2.1 billion.

XRPL’s combined distributed and represented RWA value reached approximately $4.38 billion, while stablecoins added another $995.12 million. The wider total exceeded $5.37 billion.

For US businesses using XRPL for tokenized assets, payments, or exchange infrastructure, the amendment creates an operational requirement rather than a new regulatory rule. Operators must keep their server software compatible to avoid service interruptions as activity on the network expands.

XRP trades below $3.65 peak, EGRAG CRYPTO repeats $20 long-term target
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
When XRP surged to its all-time high of $3.65 in 2025, crypto analyst EGRAG CRYPTO publicly predicted a significant market correction was imminent. Over the following year, XRP’s price declined, which EGRAG CRYPTO now points to as confirmation that his macro analysis remains relevant.

Analyst’s early warning and response to criticsEGRAG CRYPTO, a well-known figure in the crypto analysis community, made his initial call in July 2025, emphasizing that XRP’s rapid rise past $3.50 would likely face a steep correction. As the correction unfolded, he addressed both steadfast holders and critics by highlighting his consistent messaging.

He stated, “Men lie. Women lie. But posts do not lie; the record proves our stance.” EGRAG CRYPTO used this to underline that his past analysis, documented on public channels, had anticipated the downturn.

“Men lie. Women lie. But posts do not lie; the record proves our stance.”

In the aftermath of the correction, the analyst directly engaged with the XRP community on X (formerly Twitter), referencing his prior warning and reaffirming that his position had not changed as market conditions evolved.

EGRAG CRYPTO recognized a core group of analysts and XRP community leaders who maintained their outlook through the decline. This group includes Brad Garlinghouse, Chief Executive Officer of Ripple Labs, and CTO Emeritus David Schwartz, as well as analysts such as ChartNerd and DarkDefender.

Their presence is seen as providing stability and confidence for XRP investors. EGRAG CRYPTO emphasized to his audience that “conviction is tested during fear, not during euphoria,” reinforcing the value of holding firm to analysis during turbulent periods.

Other community members reiterated his view, suggesting that it is during periods of market stress—not optimism—that true conviction is demonstrated. ChartNerd and other analysts also publicly supported EGRAG CRYPTO’s assessment following his latest statements.

Mini dictionary: EGRAG CRYPTO, a pseudonymous crypto analyst known for technical market analysis and commentary about XRP’s price cycles, has built a notable following within the XRP community for his detailed price predictions and cycle-based charts.

Long-term targets remain unchangedReferencing a post from July 2025, EGRAG CRYPTO outlined his price projections, based on historical market cycles. Citing the 2017 cycle, he projected XRP could reach $33, while the 2021 cycle implied a potential $7.70. Averaging these historical targets, he suggested an approximate $20 target for XRP during the current cycle.

He left the question open to his audience, asking if this projection was unreasonable given previous market cycle data. Accompanying the analysis was a long-term price chart highlighting a target zone derived from past patterns, and EGRAG CRYPTO has so far kept those projections unchanged.

Cycle YearHistorical Target2017$332021$7.70Average/Current Cycle Projection$20By referencing past cycles, EGRAG CRYPTO kept the $20 target in place and challenged his followers to consider if this level was unrealistic based on historical price movements.

Analysis of the downward trendDespite the ongoing correction in XRP’s price, EGRAG CRYPTO has not revised his previous outlook. Instead, he views the market decline as confirmation of the warning he issued near XRP’s peak. The correction arrived at the expected time, and his long-term targets remain, according to his latest messaging.

For EGRAG CRYPTO and fellow analysts mentioned, the recent correction in XRP does not signify a change in the overall trajectory. They maintain that the pullback had already been factored into their previous macro analyses.

Ripple Labs, headquartered in San Francisco, is a fintech company known for developing the digital payment protocol Ripple and the associated native cryptocurrency XRP. Brad Garlinghouse has served as CEO since 2017, and David Schwartz, known for his technical contributions, now holds the position of CTO Emeritus.

EGRAG CRYPTO and his supporters continue to urge the community to hold their positions, emphasizing patience and adherence to long-term strategies amid market volatility.

Trader DonAlt, who gained cult status in the crypto community after accurately predicting XRP's phenomenal rally from $0.50 to $3.50, has published his latest price outlook for the leading cryptocurrency.

His new market view comes at a critical moment as Bitcoin has moved close to the psychological level of $64,300, while investors remain frozen in anticipation of the U.S. Federal Reserve's interest rate decision.

According to the analyst, Bitcoin has reached an equator separating a prolonged decline from a new large-scale rally. On his weekly price outlook, he clearly marked the key threshold with a red resistance line.

HOT Stories

New Bitcoin price outlook by DonAlt, Source: DonAlt via X"Above the red line, we actually look quite good," DonAlt commented on the current market structure. The trader explained that he is not going to make blind predictions and is waiting for solid confirmation and "might have to add if we actually close above it."

He is referring specifically to the weekly candle close, which is a key indicator of buyer strength for major market participants.

Two outcomes for Bitcoin and the hidden Ethereum advantageBased on this chart analysis and the current news backdrop, two key scenarios are now relevant for the market:

Bullish case: A confident weekly close above the red resistance zone of $66,600–$68,000 would break the downtrend and open a direct path for Bitcoin toward new all-time highs.Bearish case: If buyers fail to hold the current levels, the price risks correcting first toward the psychological mark of $60,000 and, if panic intensifies, falling as far as the major support zone around $42,000–$45,500. Interestingly, the analyst sees even greater potential in Ethereum, briefly summarizing his view: "ETH is the same as BTC, but better." Judging by this assessment, the second-largest cryptocurrency's chart is recovering faster and more cleanly than Bitcoin's.

While Bitcoin is attempting to overcome local resistance, major players are using the current pullback to increase their positions. According to on-chain data from analytics platform Santiment, shared by analyst Ali Martinez, large holders, or whales, accumulated 29,075 BTC over the past week alone.

Unexpected Development in the XRP Front: Grayscale CEO to Sell XRP He Acquired Before Listing!
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Peter Mintzberg, CEO of Grayscale, a crypto asset company managing over $35 billion in assets, announced plans to sell 2,611 shares of the company’s XRP ETF.

Mintzberg has filed a request with the SEC to sell 2,611 shares of the Grayscale XRP Trust (GXRP) ETF for a total of $53,394.95 at $20.45 per share.

The CEO acquired the shares in question through a private purchase from the trust on October 3, 2024, long before GXRP became an exchange-traded XRP ETF.

The XRP ETF share sale will be conducted through Cantor Fitzgerald on the NYSE Arca, it was stated.

CEO Mintzberg is not the first Grayscale executive to reduce his investment in GXRP. Previously, Digital Currency Group founder Barry Silbert and Grayscale Chief Legal Officer Craig Salm also notified the SEC to sell a portion of their GXRP shares prior to the IPO.

Market observers believe Grayscale CEO’s sell-off is aimed at reducing his exposure to XRP due to concerns about the Fed’s interest rate hikes and the delay in the Clarity Act.

As is known, GXRP launched via private placement in September 2024, and insiders purchased shares at that stage, long before the IPO.

XRP retail trading launches on licensed Hong Kong venue
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
OSL Digital Securities has opened XRP trading to retail investors in Hong Kong, creating a regulated fiat on-ramp as US lawmakers continue debating federal crypto market rules.

Summary

OSL became Hong Kong’s first SFC-licensed platform to offer direct retail spot access to XRP. Retail users can access XRP/USD through Flash Trade and XRP/USD and XRP/HKD through OTC trading. XRP joins Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana among assets available to OSL’s retail clients. The launch follows XRP’s December 2025 listing for professional investors on the same platform. OSL opens XRP trading to Hong Kong retail investors OSL Digital Securities launched retail XRP trading on July 29, according to an announcement from the company. The platform operates as a subsidiary of OSL Group, which is publicly listed in Hong Kong under stock code 863.

Breaking News🚨 XRP trading is NOW live for RETAIL investors on OSL HK — the FIRST exchange in Hong Kong to offer retail XRP trading!

— OSL HK (@OSL_HK) July 29, 2026 The rollout makes OSL the first platform licensed by Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission to give retail investors direct spot access to XRP.

OSL introduced an XRP/USD pair through its Flash Trade service. Its over-the-counter service also supports XRP/USD and XRP/HKD, with transactions settled through the XRP Ledger.

The Hong Kong dollar pair gives local investors a direct fiat route into XRP through a regulated venue. Retail users previously had fewer options and often depended on offshore exchanges that do not operate under the city’s licensing framework.

XRP now joins Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana as the four digital assets available to retail clients on OSL. The company holds Type 1 and Type 7 licenses from the SFC and is registered under Hong Kong’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance.

OSL also says its custody setup carries $1 billion in insurance coverage for client assets.

XRP access expands beyond professional investors The retail launch follows OSL’s initial XRP listing in December 2025, when access was limited to professional investors, including institutions and qualifying high-net-worth clients.

That earlier rollout supported XRP/HKD, XRP/USD, and XRP/USDT through Flash Trade. Extending access to everyday investors marks the next stage of OSL’s XRP offering and reflects Hong Kong’s gradual expansion of regulated crypto products.

The launch also adds another regulated entry point for XRP in Asia as institutional firms build blockchain-based financial infrastructure across the region.

Japan’s SBI Holdings, a long-time Ripple partner, expanded that strategy on July 28 by restructuring a wholly owned subsidiary around the Canton Network. SBI Security Solutions became SBI Digital Practice, creating a dedicated business for institutional on-chain finance.

The subsidiary will develop financial applications and infrastructure on Canton, covering regulatory compliance, implementation support, and cross-border transaction systems. The move adds Canton to SBI’s existing work involving Ripple and the XRP Ledger.

XRP institutional demand and XRPL activity grow OSL’s retail expansion comes as investment products tied to XRP continue attracting capital. XRP spot exchange-traded funds have recorded eight consecutive weeks of inflows, lifting cumulative inflows to about $1.49 billion.

Activity on the XRP Ledger has also expanded beyond XRP transfers. RWA.xyz placed the XRP Ledger’s combined distributed and represented real-world asset value at about $4.37 billion on July 29, including $313.3 million in distributed assets and $4.06 billion in represented assets.

Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin recorded another source of network growth. Messari reported that RLUSD’s market capitalization on the XRP Ledger rose 44.9% quarter over quarter to $340.3 million at the end of Q1 2026, making it the network’s largest stablecoin.

Hong Kong moves as US crypto legislation stalls Hong Kong’s licensed rollout contrasts with the slower development of federal crypto market rules in the United States.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse recently urged Congress to pass the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act despite unresolved disagreements. Garlinghouse backed Ripple Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty’s argument that lawmakers should not abandon the legislation while seeking a perfect compromise.

“Perfect can’t be the enemy of good. Let’s get this done!” Garlinghouse wrote.

The CLARITY Act remains caught in a Senate dispute over consumer protection, ethics restrictions, enforcement powers, and illicit-finance safeguards. Seven Senate Democrats have opposed the current text while leaving negotiations open.

For US investors, OSL’s launch does not create access unless they meet the platform’s jurisdictional and eligibility rules. Its broader importance lies in showing how Hong Kong is adding assets to licensed retail venues while the United States continues working toward a national framework for classifying and supervising digital assets.

Aviva Investors launches first tokenized fund on XRPL
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Aviva Investors has launched a tokenized share class of its US Dollar Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger, moving its Ripple partnership into production.

Summary

Aviva Investors launched its first tokenized fund structure on the XRP Ledger. The Ireland-domiciled fund received Central Bank of Ireland approval for its new share class. Eligible investors can access the fund through digital wallets while BNY Mellon holds the underlying assets. XRP Ledger hosts approximately $4.37 billion in distributed and represented real-world assets. Aviva brings its USD liquidity fund to XRPL Aviva Investors and Ripple announced the launch on July 29, following a tokenization partnership disclosed in February. The product is a new share class of the Aviva Investors US Dollar Liquidity Fund, an Ireland-domiciled UCITS money market fund launched in its traditional form in 2020.

The companies are using a “digital twin” structure. Fund holdings are represented on the XRP Ledger, while the existing off-chain fund and its regulated framework remain in place.

Eligible investors with approved digital wallets will receive the same investment objective, risk profile, liquidity terms and regulatory protections available through the conventional share class, according to the launch announcement.

Mark Versey, CEO of Aviva Investors, described the launch as the asset manager’s first step into tokenized funds.

“It is our view that this trend will increase efficiency and ultimately lead to improved client outcomes.”

Central Bank of Ireland approves tokenized share class The Central Bank of Ireland approved the new share class, allowing the product to operate within the fund’s existing regulated structure.

Aviva said the fund targets low-risk returns and daily liquidity through high-grade, short-term debt instruments denominated in US dollars. BNY Mellon will continue holding the fund’s underlying assets, separating regulated custody from the blockchain record representing investor holdings.

Komainu, a regulated digital asset custodian, supported the blockchain infrastructure, while Licuido provided technology for tokenizing the fund. The structure lets Aviva issue and manage fund shares on XRPL without moving the underlying securities directly onto the network.

For US investors, the fund’s dollar denomination does not automatically make it available in the United States. Access remains limited to eligible investors and depends on local securities rules, distribution approvals and Aviva’s onboarding requirements. The announcement did not identify a US retail offering or approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Ripple expands its institutional product strategy The launch turns Ripple’s first partnership with a European investment manager into a live product. When the firms announced their agreement in February, they said they intended to work together throughout 2026 and beyond on bringing regulated funds to XRPL.

Ripple has also expanded other parts of its institutional infrastructure. Last week, the company launched Ripple Mint, giving approved customers a direct channel to issue, redeem, bridge and track its Ripple USD stablecoin.

Ripple separately invested in compliance firm Notabene, which operates a payment and transaction network for regulated businesses. Together, the updates address token issuance, distribution and compliance rather than relying on a single blockchain product.

SBI Holdings, a long-time Ripple partner, is also broadening its blockchain exposure. The Japanese financial group recently renamed SBI Security Solutions as SBI Digital Practice and repositioned the subsidiary around the Canton Network. The move extends SBI’s institutional on-chain strategy beyond Ripple and XRPL.

XRP Ledger holds $4.37B in tokenized assets The Aviva fund joins a growing group of tokenized financial products represented on XRPL.

RWA.xyz data showed $313.3 million in distributed assets and $4.06 billion in represented assets on the network as of July 29. Together, those categories placed XRPL’s tracked real-world asset value at approximately $4.37 billion.

The number of RWA holders increased 17.42% during the previous 30 days to 182. However, distributed asset value fell 5.24%, while represented value declined 0.47% over the same period.

XRPL also held $952.25 million in stablecoins, including about $907.2 million attributed to RLUSD. Adding stablecoins to the network’s distributed and represented RWA figures would put the broader tracked total above $5.3 billion, although RWA.xyz lists the categories separately.

Aviva and Ripple have not disclosed the initial value of shares issued through the tokenized class. Future growth will depend on investor onboarding and whether Aviva expands the model to other funds under the partnership.

Ethereum, XRP & Chainlink Holder Counts Hit New Milestones
ETH Ethereum LINK Chainlink XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Ethereum Crosses 200 Million Non-Empty WalletsBlockchain analytics platform Santiment reports that $ETH has surpassed 200 million non-empty wallets for the first time, marking a significant adoption milestone for the network. The figure has been climbing steadily across multiple market cycles. The network boasts nearly 195 million non-empty wallets, roughly 230% more than Bitcoin's 59 million, extending a lead that has steadily widened throughout multiple market cycles. The crossing of the 200 million threshold, reported in the two weeks to July 29, represents the latest step in that trend.

Non-empty addresses measure wallets holding some amount of ETH, tracking participation rather than short-term speculative activity. Santiment views rising wallet counts as a sign of stronger network participation and long-term adoption, even when price sentiment turns negative. Santiment noted that user adoption has moved in the opposite direction from crowd sentiment, a pattern that has appeared before during periods of peak fear.

XRP Ledger and Chainlink Also Log Fresh RecordsThe milestone rally extends beyond Ethereum. The XRP Ledger has officially crossed the 8 million activated accounts milestone for the first time in history. This count is more rigorous than earlier reports: XRP wallet counts had exceeded 8 million before, but those totals included every wallet ever created, including ones that no longer exist. The new count only includes accounts that are live and funded today. The ledger crossed 7 million activated accounts last September and needed about ten months to add the eighth million, right through one of the roughest markets XRP has ever traded in.

Santiment also notes that $USDC on Ethereum has crossed 8 million non-empty wallets, reflecting the stablecoin's deepening footprint on the network. Meanwhile, Chainlink $LINK has exceeded 900,000 holding addresses, a fresh high for the oracle protocol that underscores growing demand for its decentralised data infrastructure.

Taken together, the figures point to continued structural growth in on-chain participation across several major networks, even as broader market sentiment has remained cautious. Santiment says rising wallet counts indicate stronger network participation and long-term adoption, a view consistent with the divergence between on-chain growth and price performance seen across the sector in 2026.

Flat Crypto Prices Mask Rapid Holder Growth on Ethereum, XRP Ledger, and Chainlink
ETH Ethereum LINK Chainlink USDC USD Coin XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Table of contents

The crypto market may be drifting sideways, but a quieter signal suggests participants are not walking away. According to a Santiment update on July 28, Ethereum recently crossed 200 million non-empty wallets for the first time, XRP Ledger and USDC on Ethereum both moved past 8 million holders, and Chainlink surpassed 900,000. The on-chain intelligence platform noted the trend across a period of weak price action, framing it as evidence that adoption keeps building beneath flat markets.

Non-empty wallets measure how many addresses hold a positive balance. They are not unique users—one person can control many wallets—but rising counts still map to more addresses holding value, interacting with decentralized applications, or maintaining a stake in the network. When that number climbs while token prices fail to break out, it can signal that market participants are accumulating or simply refusing to sell, rather than leaving the ecosystem.

Ethereum Leads, Stablecoin Growth Stands Out Ethereum’s jump past 200 million non-empty wallets is the most visible headline, but the movement in USDC on Ethereum and XRP Ledger adds texture. USDC’s expansion fits a stablecoin cycle where Circle has been expanding banking, custody, payments, and minting rails alongside major institutions. As a settlement asset, USDC remains one of the most used in crypto, and rising holder counts suggest it is circulating into more hands, not just sitting in exchange reserves.

XRP Ledger crossing 8 million non-empty wallets and Chainlink surpassing 900,000 show a similar pattern: user growth attached to platforms that are expanding their feature sets. Data from blockchain developer activity rankings continues to place Ethereum among the most active networks, reinforcing the idea that the networks seeing the most wallet additions are also those with significant technical development underway. The alignment of user growth and sustained building activity makes these trends harder to dismiss as noise.

Why the Signal Matters When Prices Don’t Move Market observers often look to on-chain metrics when price action decouples from fundamentals. Sustained wallet growth while markets are flat is not a timing tool. It does not predict the next leg up. But it does suggest that the base of participants is widening, not shrinking. That structural shift can matter later if liquidity returns or sentiment flips. For traders, it shifts the question from “is anyone still here?” to “who has been quietly positioning while the crowd was distracted.”

At the same time, holder counts offer no detail about distribution. Fresh wallets could belong to existing participants rotating funds, or a handful of institutions deploying capital. A rise in non-empty wallets does not automatically mean new retail adoption. Caution is warranted before drawing firm conclusions about user demographics from this single metric.

The broader adoption picture is also reflected in related market segments. Recent moves in real-world asset tokenization pushed total on-chain RWA value past $20 billion, demonstrating that institutional engagement with blockchain infrastructure is deepening across multiple fronts. When combined with wallet growth data, a consistent narrative emerges: more capital, more contracts, and more addresses, even when headline prices are idle.

What Comes Next For the networks highlighted in Santiment’s update, the immediate challenge is converting wallet growth into sustained network activity and fee generation. Rising holder counts without rising transaction volumes or active dapp usage can indicate passive holding rather than genuine utility. Still, the direction of travel matters. In a market where price charts offer little clarity, on-chain adoption patterns provide one of the few remaining anchors for gauging ecosystem health.

The coming weeks will show whether this accumulation trend continues or stalls if macro conditions shift. In the meantime, the data confirms that the quiet periods of the cycle are not necessarily empty ones.

Ethereum hits 200 million wallets as XRP, USDC, Chainlink reach new adoption highs
ETH Ethereum LINK Chainlink USDC USD Coin XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Ethereum, XRP, USDC, and Chainlink have recorded a surge in the number of non-empty wallets, signaling robust network participation and adoption despite the broader crypto market’s sideways price action. Data from Santiment Intelligence revealed that several leading blockchain networks are seeing consistent growth in address activity as total wallet counts break new records.

Key blockchain networks exceed major wallet milestonesOver the past two weeks, Ethereum surpassed 200 million non-empty wallets for the first time in its history. During the same timeframe, the XRP Ledger and USDC on Ethereum each crossed the 8 million mark for funded addresses, while Chainlink exceeded 900,000 active wallets holding LINK tokens.

Analysts view rising non-empty wallet counts as a straightforward metric demonstrating sustained user engagement and broader adoption. Non-empty wallets often reflect users and institutions that continue to store assets, interact with decentralized applications, or participate in various blockchain ecosystems instead of retreating during periods with minimal price movement.

Ethereum’s expanding base of active wallets underlines its dominant role as a leading smart contract and decentralized finance platform. The network remains a backbone for applications in NFTs, tokenized real-world assets, stablecoins, and enterprise blockchain deployments across the industry.

USDC, XRP, and Chainlink holders rise amid new use casesUSDC’s rapid holder growth is attributed to its expanding real-world utility beyond speculative purpose. As Circle broadens its global banking partnerships and payment infrastructure, USDC has emerged as a widely adopted stablecoin for cross-border transactions, settlements, and within DeFi protocols. The trend indicates a shift as more users hold the token for routine activities.

XRP Ledger continues to expand, mirrored by the steady rise in non-empty wallets. The increased adoption coincides with ongoing developments in cross-border payments, tokenization projects, and enterprise blockchain integrations. Hong Kong recently launched its first licensed retail XRP trading platform, granting retail investors regulated access to XRP and advancing the city’s goal to become a prominent digital asset hub in Asia.

In addition to payments, the XRP ecosystem is diversifying with tokenized shares of major companies, AI-powered payment systems utilizing XRP and RLUSD, fresh partnerships with Mastercard, and new developer grants intended to spur further ecosystem expansion.

Chainlink’s growing adoption also reflects the expanding need for reliable decentralized oracles within blockchain environments. As more projects integrate Chainlink’s services to facilitate tokenization, cross-chain operations, and institutional blockchain use, the utility demand for LINK tokens has increased steadily.

Santiment Intelligence highlighted that rising holder counts across Ethereum, the XRP Ledger, USDC, and Chainlink indicate broader adoption, an expanding user base, and the formation of a strong foundation for future market growth cycles despite flat prices.

Tools for tracking and responding to crypto adoptionAs technical indicators highlight continued expansion in non-empty wallets—often used to monitor network health and growth—investors and market participants are placing greater emphasis on platforms that provide real-time data and investment management. CryptoAppsy, which requires no account creation hassle, combines your crypto investments with real-time prices, detailed charts, and multi-currency portfolio management on a single screen. With this all-in-one financial assistant, users can instantly seize opportunities by setting up smart price alerts, filter news specific to selected coins, discover newly listed altcoins as they launch, and monitor critical macroeconomic events such as Fed interest rates to stay ahead of the market.

Altogether, while market prices may remain stable, the consistent increase in non-empty wallets for top blockchain networks illustrates continued growth in user activity and adoption across the crypto sector.

XRP advances as Flare streamlines staking
FLR Flare XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Ripple (XRP) holds modest gains, trading around $1.08 at the time of writing on Wednesday. The remittance token mirrors the general neutral-to-bullish outlook in the crypto market, as focus shifts to the Federal Reserve (Fed) rate decision.

Market participants widely expect the Fed to leave interest rates unchanged in the 3.50%-3.75% range. Still, CME’s FedWatch tool shows a 35% probability that the central bank will hike interest rates by 25 basis points (bps), underscoring prevailing market uncertainty.

FedWatch tool | Source: CME GroupFlare enhances XRP DeFi utilityFlare Network’s Flare Smart Accounts (FSA) v1.3 has announced improvements to the process of staking XRP to earn yield in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space. Billions of XRP, which have been sitting in wallets, can now easily be connected to smart contracts through a collapsed single XRP Ledger (XRPL) signature process.

Flare stated in the press release that “previously, the flow required two separate XRPL signatures. v1.3 merges them into one. Pick a vault, sign once from the XRPL wallet you already use, and FSA handles the rest on Flare automatically.”

The one-signature process also operates on key principles, including a non-custodial service, without requiring a new Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), gas token or manual bridging. The collateralized XRP remains on the XRPL, backed at a 1:1 ratio, under the holders' control. Moreover, the platform automatically mints FXRP, which is deposited into the chosen vault to start earning.

“Authorization is proof-based, not signature-verification-based. Custody is non-custodial. No separate EVM key, no session-key delegation, no third party holding funds,” Flare expounded.

Technical outlook: XRP poised to extend reboundXRP edges higher, albeit gradually, with the immediate upside capped below $1.10. Despite the short-term neutral-to-bullish outlook, demand for related digital investment products remains sluggish.

SoSoValue data shows that interest in XRP spot Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) dried up amid muted activity on Tuesday. This comes after very mild inflows of $592,000 on Monday, undermining risk appetite. Nevertheless, cumulative inflows hold steady at $1.5 billion, with net assets at $972 million, suggesting that investors remain committed to XRP in the long term.

XRP ETF flows | Source: SoSoValueThe remittance token remains under clear downside pressure as price holds below the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $1.13, with the 100-day EMA at $1.22 and the 200-day EMA at $1.42 reinforcing a dominant bearish structure overhead.

The SuperTrend indicator at $1.16 also sits above spot, suggesting rallies are still being treated as corrective. Momentum signals are soft rather than washed out, with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) hovering near 46 on the daily chart and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) histogram marginally negative, hinting that sellers retain the upper hand but without capitulation.

XRP/USDT daily chartOn the topside, immediate resistance is seen at the 50-day EMA around $1.13, where any rebound would first be challenged, followed by the SuperTrend zone near $1.16, which forms a secondary cap. Further up, the 100-day EMA at roughly $1.22 and the 200-day EMA near $1.42 outline broader recovery hurdles that would need to be reclaimed to ease the prevailing bearish bias. On the downside, investors may need to rely on former horizontal support levels such as $1.05 and $1.00 to gauge whether to reengage.

Altcoins are any cryptocurrency apart from Bitcoin, but some also regard Ethereum as a non-altcoin because it is from these two cryptocurrencies that forking happens. If this is true, then Litecoin is the first altcoin, forked from the Bitcoin protocol and, therefore, an “improved” version of it.

Stablecoins are cryptocurrencies designed to have a stable price, with their value backed by a reserve of the asset it represents. To achieve this, the value of any one stablecoin is pegged to a commodity or financial instrument, such as the US Dollar (USD), with its supply regulated by an algorithm or demand. The main goal of stablecoins is to provide an on/off-ramp for investors willing to trade and invest in cryptocurrencies. Stablecoins also allow investors to store value since cryptocurrencies, in general, are subject to volatility.

Bitcoin dominance is the ratio of Bitcoin's market capitalization to the total market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies combined. It provides a clear picture of Bitcoin’s interest among investors. A high BTC dominance typically happens before and during a bull run, in which investors resort to investing in relatively stable and high market capitalization cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. A drop in BTC dominance usually means that investors are moving their capital and/or profits to altcoins in a quest for higher returns, which usually triggers an explosion of altcoin rallies.

RippleX Developer Redefines How XRP Ledger Utility Is Measured
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Transaction Volume Is Not the Full PictureRippleX software developer Mayukha Vadari (@msvadari) has pushed back on a common assumption in the XRP community: that transaction volume is the definitive measure of whether an $XRP Ledger amendment is working. Vadari argued that transaction volume may not be the best way to measure every amendment, noting that some features create value without generating significant on-chain activity.

She cited the clawback feature as a clear example, saying that in this context, the liquidity and market capitalisation of clawbackable tokens is what matters, since those tokens would not have launched on the ledger without the clawback feature existing in the first place. In her view, those tokens may not need to use the clawback transaction frequently at all.

The clawback mechanism was designed for regulatory purposes, giving issuers the ability to recover tokens distributed to accounts flagged for illegal activity. The feature is disabled by default. Its practical significance became clear when Ripple's dollar-pegged stablecoin RLUSD, itself a clawback token, was enabled for direct trading on the XRP Ledger's decentralised exchange, improving its liquidity and expanding DeFi activity on the network.

Cross-Cutting Features and the Sponsored Fees AmendmentVadari also noted that some features function as cross-cutting infrastructure, becoming deeply integrated into existing transaction flows rather than standing alone as discrete transaction types. She pointed out that such features are typically more embedded within other transactions.

She drew on an upcoming amendment, sponsored fees, as another illustration. For that feature, she said the right metric is how often the sponsor field is used across transactions, rather than counting how many times the new SponsorshipSet and SponsorshipTransfer transactions are executed.

The comments reflect a broader methodological point for how developers, analysts, and community members should evaluate protocol upgrades. Headline transaction counts can obscure the real-world impact of infrastructure-level changes, particularly those aimed at regulatory compliance or liquidity enablement rather than direct user activity.

Jay Clayton, the former chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) whose tenure was defined in the crypto industry by the agency's lawsuit against Ripple Labs, has been confirmed as the ninth Director of National Intelligence (DNI).

The U.S. Senate approved Clayton's nomination in a 51-47 party-line vote on Tuesday, elevating the former Wall Street lawyer, SEC chairman and U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York to oversee the nation's intelligence community.

Narrow Senate voteClayton's confirmation reflected the deep partisan divide surrounding President Donald Trump's latest cabinet appointments.

The Senate voted 51-47, with Republicans backing the nomination and Democrats voting against it. Two senators did not vote. The confirmation followed a procedural cloture vote a day earlier, when the Senate voted 51-43 to limit debate and move the nomination toward a final confirmation.

During his confirmation hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee, Clayton faced repeated questioning over his lack of traditional intelligence experience and so on.

From Wall Street lawyer to America's top intelligence officialClayton's path to becoming Director of National Intelligence spans both the private and public sectors.

In 2017, Clayton was nominated to chair the SEC. The Senate confirmed him in a bipartisan 61-37 vote, and he served until the end of Trump's first administration in 2020.

Following his SEC tenure, Clayton returned to private practice before being appointed U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York in 2025, where he oversaw prosecutions involving terrorism, organized crime, sanctions violations and financial fraud.

He was then nominated to lead the Office of the Director of National Intelligence in June 2026 following the resignation of Tulsi Gabbard. After receiving a narrow 9-8 approval from the Senate Intelligence Committee, his nomination advanced to the Senate floor, where Republicans ultimately secured confirmation.

On December 22, 2020 (his final full day as SEC chairman), the agency filed a lawsuit against Ripple Labs, CEO Brad Garlinghouse and Executive Chairman Chris Larsen, alleging they had conducted a $1.3 billion unregistered securities offering through sales of XRP.

The complaint became one of the defining legal battles in crypto history.

Clayton left the SEC immediately after the lawsuit was filed, but the enforcement action continued under his successor, Gary Gensler. Ripple ended up emerging victorious from the legal battle.

SBI Boosts Canton Network Strategy With New Subsidiary

SBI Digital Practice Takes ShapeJapanese financial giant SBI Holdings has rebranded its subsidiary SBI Security Solutions as SBI Digital Practice, effective June 22, 2026, sharpening its focus on institutional blockchain infrastructure.

The renamed unit will concentrate on building financial infrastructure on the Canton Network, offering services that span implementation support, regulatory compliance, and cross-border transaction systems. SBI already holds a privileged position within that ecosystem, with SBI Digital Asset Holdings serving as a founding partner of the Canton Network and acting as a super validator and GSF member.

The Canton Network is gaining significant traction among institutional players. The network currently counts over 700 participating institutions, including Goldman Sachs, BNP Paribas, Broadridge, Franklin Templeton, and Euroclear, with assets managed on the blockchain exceeding $6 trillion. With DTCC adopting the Canton Network for the digital securitization of U.S. Treasuries, broader expansion is expected in the second half of 2026.

XRP Ledger Operations Continue in ParallelThe move into Canton does not signal a retreat from SBI's existing Ripple partnerships. The company has been clear that the two strategies are complementary, with the restructuring signalling that SBI's institutional blockchain strategy extends beyond the Ripple network to its own platforms.

SBI Ripple Asia, the joint venture SBI Holdings co-founded with Ripple in 2016 to expand RippleNet-based cross-border payments across Asia-Pacific, will continue its work on the $XRP Ledger. The venture launched a token issuance platform on the XRP Ledger in April 2026 to enable businesses to create compliant digital tokens.

Taken together, the restructuring reflects a strategy of building exposure across multiple institutional-grade blockchain networks rather than concentrating on a single protocol. SBI's deepening Canton involvement is expected to promote its expansion into real-world asset tokenization and digital asset trading infrastructure.
