Akcionáři schválili fúzi Evernorth s Armada Acquisition Corp. II, což posouvá plán na veřejnou XRP treasury společnost s více než 473 miliony XRP a tickerem XRPN na Nasdaq.
On September 30, XRP appreciated with the shareholder vote approval of the proposed merger of Evernorth with Armada Acquisition Corp. II. The feat takes a massive obstacle away from the Ripple-backed XRP treasury company, which is now eyeing a Nasdaq debut.
XRP Recovers After Sharp Intraday Drop The vote has caught the eye of the XRP community, with Evernorth’s plans to launch a public XRP treasury under the XRPN ticker on Nasdaq. This move also coincided with a dramatic intraday selloff, putting the latest rebound in check as traders digested the impact of the merger result.
At press time, Ripple’s XRP rose by roughly 1.89% to $1.51 following a dip to below $1.47 ahead of the vote. The chart depicts a choppy trading session.
XRP price chart today. Source: TradingView Earlier in the day, XRP price started to rise to $1.55, but it soon turned around. The Ripple’s native token subsequently drifted around primarily between $1.48 and $1.50 for several hours. The price of XRP regained interest as the buys resumed later, pushing the coin back to $1.51.
This rally came around midday and XRP was soon touching $1.54. The rally was short-lived and the token soon returned to around $1.50. XRP was then able to find support below that level, before making a recovery.
The latest candles indicate that XRP is bouncing towards $1.51, implying that buyers have entered the market after the prior weakness.
XRPL Collaborator Reports Evernorth Vote Passed The Armada shareholders’ vote on the Evernorth merger was a major catalyst for the XRP price rebound today. Bear Champ, who is a collaborator of XRPL, reported this result on X.
“Listened in on the Armada/Evernorth merger vote, it passed,” Bear Champ wrote.
The reported result is an important step for Evernorth. The company hopes to create a big corporate XRP treasury in a publicly traded structure.
There will be over 473 million XRP sold in the proposed transaction. Once the remaining closing conditions are met, the merged company will continue to be traded on the Nasdaq under the “XRPN” ticker.
For XRP, the vote does not directly change individual corporate holders’ balances, for XRP. Rather, it pushes for the formation and development of a giant corporation that has a high stake in the token.
The next focus will be official confirmation of the vote and the remainder of the steps to complete the merger.
CryptoQuant data shows Binance's XRP Scarcity Index has fallen to -0.94, the lowest level since January 2025. The reading was flagged by CryptoQuant analyst ArabxChain and marks a dramatic reversal in the supply picture on one of the world's largest crypto exchanges.
A Sharp Reversal From July's Two-Year High The XRP Scarcity Index rose to 0.77 in July, its highest level in roughly two years, before plunging to -0.94 just a few months later. That swing reflects a notable shift in market conditions over a relatively short window.
The Binance Scarcity Index measures how scarce or abundant a cryptocurrency's tradable supply on the exchange is relative to the past. A higher reading means less XRP is immediately available for trading. Conversely, a falling or negative index is generally bearish: more XRP is available on Binance, meaning more potential supply that could be sold, which can create selling pressure.
More Supply Available, But No Confirmed Selling Binance's total XRP holdings have fallen by about 20% since November 2024, but the remaining supply appears to have shifted into a state where it can be used for trading rather than being stored in cold wallets. Analysts describe this as a shift in how existing supply behaves, not necessarily a change in total holdings.
Increased availability does not automatically mean holders are selling. CryptoQuant analysts note that greater exchange liquidity raises the potential for future selling pressure, but the data alone does not confirm that tokens are actually changing hands. Similar swings have occurred before without triggering lasting price moves.
For $XRP traders, the scarcity index has become a key on-chain indicator to watch alongside broader market catalysts, including any regulatory developments or shifts in exchange reserve flows.

Financial analyst Levi described the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s latest crypto guidance as a major milestone for the industry, stating that the recent update is “massively bullish for crypto and $XRP.” Levi made his remarks after the SEC published new guidance and FAQs on September 25, 2026, covering several aspects of the digital asset sector.
SEC guidance expands on previous XRP classificationThe latest document builds directly on the March Interpretive Release that the SEC issued jointly with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. That earlier release explicitly classified XRP as a digital commodity, marking a pivotal moment in the asset’s regulatory history.
Levi responded to the new guidance on X, writing, “BIG WIN FOR CRYPTO!!” He suggested that the SEC’s clarifications on how securities laws apply to digital assets could create industry-wide benefits and strengthen the position of XRP. The remarks highlighted positive sentiment among segments of the crypto community.
Levi declared, “BIG WIN FOR CRYPTO!! SEC issues new guidance clarifying securities laws on crypto. This is massively bullish for crypto and $XRP.”
The SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance released the updated material to offer deeper insight into digital asset transactions. However, the agency stated that the document only provides staff interpretation, not new binding rules.
Functional networks, token buybacks, and liquid staking addressedThe SEC guidance clarifies the regulatory status of crypto networks that have achieved full functionality. According to the document, routine operations related to the security, maintenance, or improvement of a network do not automatically meet the “essential managerial efforts” required for a securities law analysis under the Howey test.
In addition, staff addressed the issue of token buybacks in fully functional and decentralized networks, stating that such buybacks do not inherently constitute investment contracts. The characterization, the SEC explained, depends on transaction structure and profit expectations related to managerial actions.
The guidance also provided details on liquid staking receipt tokens. The SEC outlined situations where these tokens may represent interests tied to underlying digital commodities, but do not automatically result in an investment contract.
These points are intended to give developers and market participants greater clarity regarding several digital asset activities that previously faced regulatory uncertainty.
Mini dictionary: Howey test – A US legal standard from a 1946 Supreme Court case, used to determine whether a transaction qualifies as an investment contract and therefore falls under securities regulation.
Guidance offers clarity but does not change securities lawWhile Levi viewed the guidance as a “BIG WIN,” the SEC clarified that the material reflects staff views and does not carry the force of law. The Division of Corporation Finance emphasized that the FAQs do not amend US securities regulations or supersede existing legal precedent.
The agency indicated that each case involving digital assets continues to be reviewed individually based on specific facts and circumstances. The update aims to provide market participants with additional regulatory insight but does not grant blanket exemptions for cryptocurrencies or related businesses.
The Division of Corporation Finance emphasized, “Staff guidance does not have the force or effect of law and does not alter the application of federal securities laws.”
XRP’s legal position and prior court decisionsAlthough the new SEC guidance addresses several crypto activities in general terms, it does not create new rules specifically for XRP. The current regulatory treatment of XRP remains influenced by previous court cases. On July 13, 2023, Judge Analisa Torres ruled that Ripple’s programmatic sales of XRP on digital exchanges did not meet the conditions of the Howey test. However, the court reached a different conclusion for some institutional sales.
This legal distinction is important in evaluating the significance of the SEC’s guidance for XRP holders and investors. Levi’s remarks place the latest update within an overall positive regulatory climate for both the crypto market and XRP, but do not signal a new legal determination for the asset itself.
The recent SEC release adds to the available regulatory information for the crypto industry while maintaining individualized assessments for each asset according to its unique circumstances.
CSD BR začlenila XRP Ledger do své regulované infrastruktury pro cenné papíry v Brazílii. Prvně se použije jako další vrstva evidence a auditu pro podíly fondů BTG Pactual.
Brazilian financial-market infrastructure provider CSD BR has moved to integrate the XRP Ledger into its regulated securities infrastructure, according to a local media outlet.
The Ripple-led initiative will initially use the XRP Ledger as an additional record and audit layer for investment fund shares held at CSD BR. The first assets involved will be fund shares from Brazilian banking giant BTG Pactual.
According to Ripple executive Luke Judges, the project could open a path for significant portions of Brazil's massive fixed-income market to move onto the XRP Ledger.

"This is the first time the XRP Ledger is publicly being integrated into core financial market infrastructure of this scale," Judges said.
Regulated market infrastructureCSD BR forms part of Brazil's regulated financial-market infrastructure. Its services cover asset registration, central securities depository functions and so on.
The company is authorized by major Brazilian financial regulators, including the Central Bank of Brazil.
Judges described Brazil as the world's 10th-largest economy and said CSD BR has more than BRL 22 trillion worth of registered assets. Hence, the sheer scale of the tie-up should not be underestimated.

The XRP Ledger is being connected to infrastructure that already sits inside Brazil's regulated capital markets.
The rollout will begin with investment fund shares from BTG Pactual that are deposited with CSD BR.
The CSD BR project is intended to move beyond the familiar proof-of-concept model.
Ripple Latin America Managing Director Silvio Pegado described the transition from pilots into live national capital-market infrastructure as an important milestone for the broader distributed-ledger industry.
According to Judges, CSD BR selected the XRP Ledger because the network was designed around financial applications.
"CSD BR chose the XRPL because it was purpose-built for financial use cases and can integrate with existing regulated infrastructure out of the box," he said.
XRPL is not being deployed as one network within a large multichain experiment. According to Judges, it is currently the sole blockchain included in the technology stack.
"Today, XRPL is the only blockchain in the stack," he said.
XRP ETF zaznamenaly 11 týdnů v řadě přílivů kapitálu a fond Bitwise už kumulativně drží 677 milionů USD. CIO společnosti Bitwise uvedl, že investory láká hlavně dlouhá historie XRP a jeho využití v reálných aplikacích.
XRP ETFs have recorded 11 consecutive weeks of inflows, with Bitwise's fund accounting for $677 million cumulatively.
Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan has laid out why financial advisors are buying Ripple’s native token, and the reasons have little to do with it price.
His remarks follow an 80% rise in XRP ETF net assets during the third quarter, to a record $1.77 billion on September 25.
XRP Will Always Be Around Hougan called XRP “one of the Mount Rushmore assets in crypto” and gave two reasons it appeals to investors. The first is that they are confident it won’t go away.
“A lot of financial advisors look at crypto and wonder, ‘Are these things for real? Will they persist? Will they be here in the future?’ And XRP has this enormous track record and this enormous background that gives people confidence it will be there in the future,” Hougan explained.
The second reason is practical. XRP “fits into real-world applications that they can understand,” according to the CIO. Advisors follow the stablecoin space and the cross-currency and liquidity space, and pay attention to news such as Ripple getting a bank charter.
XRPL community figure Hussein Zangana, who goes by Vet on X, made a related case, calling the network “real” and adding that it “has persisted the most amount of scrutiny any crypto has received.” As CryptoPotato reported earlier, XRP ETFs took in about $76 million last week, their best week in a month, extending the run to 11 straight weeks of inflows.
Bitwise’s fund leads with $677 million in cumulative inflows, followed by Franklin’s at $501 million, while the one from 21Shares has so far bled $21.15 million. On Monday, SoSoValue data shows, Canary’s XRPC added $3.96 million, taking cumulative inflows across all XRP ETFs to $1.79 billion. Total net assets were $1.68 billion, below Friday’s record level.
In related news, Bitwise filed an updated prospectus on September 28 for its XRP fund, which charges a 0.34% fee and holds its coins with Coinbase Custody. This is because, as analyst Xaif Crypto noted, the ETF keeps issuing new shares, so the prospectus has to stay current.

However, it’s still 47% lower than where it was a year ago and 59% below its all-time high of $3.65.
The Ripple token is on track for a third straight green month, having gained about 30% in August and a more modest 2.10% in July, something Xaif Crypto reminded has rarely happened in bear markets.
The last time XRP had a longer run of consecutive monthly gains was in 2023, when it went on a run from September to December that year, which was broken by an 18% drop in January 2024.
XRP se drží kolem 1,51 USD, zatímco americké spotové ETF na XRP od spuštění přilákaly zhruba 1,79 miliardy USD čistých přílivů. Nejbližší resistance je v pásmu 1,60 až 1,62 USD.
XRP has held near $1.51 as demand through U.S. spot exchange-traded funds remains elevated, leaving traders focused on whether the token can break resistance around 1.60-1.62.
Summary
XRP trades near $1.51 while holding above technical support around the $1.43 Bollinger midpoint level. U.S. spot XRP ETFs have accumulated roughly $1.79 billion in net inflows since launching overall. Bitwise’s XRP ETF charges 0.34% annually and uses Coinbase Custody to safeguard fund holdings securely. XRP faces immediate resistance near 1.60-1.62 while $1.43 remains the nearest chart support level. Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan says advisors value XRP’s longevity and understandable real-world payment applications. CoinGecko shows XRP trading near $1.51 at the latest reading, with a 24-hour range of roughly $1.47 to $1.54 and trading volume above $4.2 billion. Its market capitalization stood close to $95 billion, based on approximately 62.9 billion XRP in circulation.
The token remains below last week’s high around $1.66, but its daily chart continues to hold above the Bollinger Band midpoint near $1.43. Meanwhile, U.S. spot XRP ETFs have accumulated close to $1.8 billion in net inflows since their launches, providing another source of demand while price remains below its recent peak.
Can XRP price finally break above $1.60? The immediate hurdle sits between $1.60 and $1.62. XRP has repeatedly approached that region without establishing a sustained move above it, leaving the area as the first technical barrier for another advance.
The daily Bollinger Bands place the middle band close to $1.43 and the upper band around $1.62. XRP trading between the two keeps price above its recent average while leaving it below the upper end of its current volatility range.
Momentum remains positive but has cooled. The Relative Strength Index stands near 57.50, slightly below its moving average around 58.06 and above the neutral 50 level. The reading does not place XRP in conventional overbought territory.
XRP price chart, source: TradingView As crypto.news recently reported, XRP has been repeatedly testing resistance between $1.55 and $1.60, with the token briefly reaching $1.6581 on Sept. 23 before sellers pushed it back. That earlier analysis placed nearby support around 1.40-1.41.
A daily move above $1.62 would take XRP beyond the upper Bollinger Band and reopen the recent 1.65-1.66 high. Failure to clear that area would leave the token trading inside its current consolidation range, with $1.43 remaining the closest technical support from the indicator.
XRP ETF demand remains strong near $1.8 billion Institutional demand has continued through U.S.-listed XRP investment products even while the underlying token trades well below its all-time high.
SoSoValue data cited in recent market reporting put cumulative net inflows across the XRP ETF group near $1.79 billion after Canary Capital’s XRPC received another $3.96 million on Monday. Total net assets stood close to $1.68 billion after reaching a record around $1.77 billion on Sept. 25.
The distinction between net inflows and net assets is important. Net inflows measure the money entering or leaving the products, while net assets move with XRP’s market price after those purchases occur.
Earlier crypto.news data showed XRP ETFs had accumulated approximately $1.76 billion in net inflows by Sept. 25, when another $14.89 million entered the products.
The September numbers extend a longer trend. In late August, seven U.S. spot XRP ETFs had accumulated more than $1.5 billion in flows, with Bitwise, Canary Capital and Franklin Templeton among the largest products.
Bitwise’s fund has remained one of the leading vehicles. The Bitwise XRP ETF began operations on Nov. 19, 2025 and trades on NYSE Arca under the ticker XRP, according to its SEC filings.
The fund charges a 0.34% annual sponsor fee and holds its XRP with Coinbase Custody Trust Company. The SEC filing states that Coinbase Custody maintains segregated accounts containing the trust’s XRP.
Bitwise’s latest regulatory update should not be interpreted as a new ETF approval. The fund was already operating before the filing, and its September amendments concern the continuing registration and disclosure requirements of an existing product.
Why are financial advisors looking at XRP? Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan has attributed part of the interest to XRP’s long operating history and its association with payment and liquidity applications.
Hougan described XRP as “one of the Mount Rushmore assets in crypto” while discussing how financial advisors evaluate established digital assets. His assessment represents his investment view, not an independent measure of XRP’s quality or future performance.
XRP ETFs net assets have grown 80% throughout Q3 to an all-time high of $1.77B.@Matt_Hougan, Chief Investment Officer at @Bitwise, on what's driving institutional demand for $XRP:
"XRP appeals for very simple reasons … One is that [financial advisors] are confident it's not… pic.twitter.com/7YXqVPpOj2
— Token Relations (@TokenRelations) September 28, 2026 One factor, according to Hougan, is persistence. Advisors unfamiliar with crypto often question whether individual tokens will remain relevant for years, while XRP has traded through several market cycles and lengthy U.S. regulatory disputes.
A second factor is that advisors can connect the asset with payment-related use cases they already understand, he said. XRP is the native asset of XRP Ledger, while Ripple separately develops payment, stablecoin and institutional financial products that can involve XRPL infrastructure.
Interest among wealth managers was visible earlier this month. As crypto.news reported, XRP generated more questions than any other cryptocurrency during a Bitwise presentation to roughly 400 wealth managers. Bitwise analyst Ryan Rasmussen described the level of interest as unusually high, though the attendee poll was not a representative survey of the wealth-management industry.
At the time, U.S. XRP funds had already attracted roughly $1.68 billion in cumulative net inflows.
Could ETF inflows send XRP toward $1.80? ETF inflows provide verifiable demand for XRP, but they do not establish that price will break above a specific level. XRP continues to trade below the resistance that rejected the token last week.
The chart places 1.60-1.62 as the first hurdle. Above it, the recent 1.65-1.66 high would become the next visible test before levels such as $1.80 return to focus.
On the downside, the Bollinger midpoint around $1.43 remains the nearest indicator-based support. Losing that level would move XRP below its 20-day center line and weaken the current mild bullish structure.
Recent price history shows why the $1.60 region remains important. Crypto.news reported earlier in September that XRP needed to reclaim the 1.50-1.60 area after retreating from an August peak near $1.70.
The ETF backdrop has strengthened since then, while XRP’s price has returned above $1.50. CoinGecko currently places the token roughly 58% below its $3.65 all-time high, with the latest 24-hour trading range still contained below $1.55.
For the current setup, a sustained break above 1.60-1.62 would provide the clearest technical confirmation that buyers have regained control of the recent range. Until then, XRP remains in consolidation between support near $1.43 and resistance around $1.62.
Ripple says asset managers are preparing to use XRP Ledger Batch. The transaction type can make several ledger actions succeed or fail together, but an emergency software release has moved attention from a September 29 activation expectation to an October 9 security amendment. The capability is specific. So is the evidence that institutional adoption remains prospective.
Summary
Batch can contain between 2 and 8 inner transactions under its published specification. Four modes determine whether all, one, a prefix or any qualifying inner transactions execute. XRP Ledger version 3.4.1 introduced a security-sensitive Batch fix on September 25. The foundation expects fixBatchV1_2 to enable October 9 if validator support persists. A successful outer Batch can mask failed inner transactions unless the application checks their results. The central promise is simple: make related steps settle in one ledger close. An asset manager that needs to deliver a token and receive payment may prefer an all-or-nothing exchange to sending the asset first and hoping the money arrives. RippleX has described asset managers and commercial projects preparing for the feature, as covered in the earlier institutional interest report. It did not publicly name a production asset manager with a live mainnet Batch transaction in that account.

Ripple operates only a small share of XRPL validators, and the $150M+ hack involving co-founder Chris Larsen showed that the company cannot reverse transactions or recover lost $XRP. pic.twitter.com/Pt4czYNSf1
— crypto.news (@cryptodotnews) September 27, 2026 The status changed before the original late-September expectation. The XRPL Foundation release notice calls version 3.4.1 an emergency update for security-sensitive issues. It adds fixBatchV1_2, asks servers to upgrade promptly and says the amendment was expected to enable on October 9 if supermajority support persists. That is a conditional expectation, not a fixed launch promise.
Batch coordinates actions inside one ledger close The XLS-0056 specification describes an outer transaction holding between two and eight inner transactions. Accounts involved approve the collection. A selected mode controls what happens when an inner action fails. The ledger processes the collection in one close, avoiding the gap between unrelated submissions that could leave one participant with only half a bargain.
Suppose a fund transfers a tokenized bond claim and receives a dollar token. Two ordinary transactions could be submitted separately. If the first succeeds and the second fails, the counterparties have an operational dispute and potential loss. With the all-or-nothing mode, both inner actions must succeed for the intended exchange to complete. That is the compelling institutional use case, assuming the token, payment instrument, counterparties and permissions are already in place.
Batch does not create a bond, verify its off-chain ownership or force a bank to redeem the payment token. It coordinates ledger actions. Legal settlement finality, transfer restrictions, custody and redemption still depend on the relevant instruments and institutions. The distinction matters because a technically atomic transfer is only one part of delivery versus payment.
JUST IN: XRP Ledger’s Batch feature passes, set for activation on September 29
The upgrade, which has secured 29 Yes votes, will allow up to 8 XRPL transactions to be bundled into one, enabling atomic asset swaps, bundled DEX trades, NFT-for-NFT exchanges and single-transaction… pic.twitter.com/7CH34N1Yat
— crypto.news (@cryptodotnews) September 15, 2026 The single-account tutorial shows the more straightforward case. Multiple actions from one account can be packaged in a specified mode. Multi-account transactions add signatures from the accounts whose balances or permissions are affected. The multi-account tutorial describes that coordinated signing process.
Four modes produce four different bargains ALLORNOTHING is the clean two-sided trade. Every required inner action must succeed or the intended group does not settle. ONLYONE tries alternatives and stops after the first success, such as orders at different tolerances. UNTILFAILURE processes a sequence up to a failure. INDEPENDENT allows actions in the same wrapper to succeed or fail independently. Calling all four modes atomic in the everyday sense would hide the possibility of partial completion.
The modes alter product design. A fund moving two assets against one payment needs to decide whether a single failed transfer should cancel the full package. A market maker submitting fallback offers might prefer ONLYONE. An issuer distributing multiple payouts might tolerate independent outcomes, but then its operations team has to reconcile which recipients were paid. The mode is a risk decision, not a formatting choice.
The eight-action cap is another real limit. A manager attempting to settle 1,000 investor transfers cannot wrap all 1,000 into one Batch under the current proposal. At the theoretical minimum of 125 eight-action packages, those groups would not themselves be atomic with each other. Fees, signatures, account sequence management and service capacity become practical constraints even before the off-chain business process is considered.
The earlier technical report noted the upgrade’s long development and audit history. That background is relevant to timing but should not be confused with a claim that every application built on top has been audited.
The outer success code is an accounting trap The specification says an outer Batch transaction can report tesSUCCESS even when inner transactions fail. Its outer result covers sequence and fee processing. To know whether a payment or delivery occurred, software must inspect inner transaction metadata and individual result codes. This is an unusually concrete integration hazard for any institution whose back office translates a generic success status into a booked asset movement.
Imagine a trade feed that reads only the outer result and credits a customer with a tokenized security. If the relevant inner transfer did not succeed, the feed and ledger diverge. The system needs to associate every inner action with its parent and its own result. The spec recommends using the ParentBatchID relationship in explorers and indexers. A desk should test failures in every mode, not only the happy path.
The mistake can survive ordinary controls because the outer transaction is real and has a transaction ID. A reconciliation system built for one transaction equaling one business action may pass its first check. The proper control links the business instruction to the mode, the complete signed package, every inner result and the eventual asset balances. That is work an asset manager must perform even if the network layer is correct.
JUST IN: Asset managers are preparing for XRP Ledger’s next payments upgrade
Batch V1.1 can bundle up to eight transactions into one operation, with RippleX saying commercial projects are already being built around the feature ahead of activation. pic.twitter.com/DmleX4GBiA
— crypto.news (@cryptodotnews) September 20, 2026 The arithmetic is modest but revealing. A maximum Batch containing eight inner transactions is one outer submission, yet it can require at least eight outcome checks, plus the outer fee and sequencing check. For 125 full packages representing 1,000 inner actions, the back office needs 1,000 action-level outcomes, not 125 green status lights.
The security fix changes the activation story The foundation’s September 25 notice says fixBatchV1_2 rejects inner transactions with the wrong wrapper and includes additional security and stability fixes. It withholds source code temporarily because of the security-sensitive nature of the change, promising publication and a retrospective later. That limits outsiders’ ability to inspect the exact patch before disclosure. It is a reason for precise attribution, not a reason to speculate about undisclosed exploitability.
The notice says servers below 3.4.1 would become amendment blocked if the fix enables while they have not upgraded. Validator votes and node upgrades therefore matter to production access. A quorum signaling support is not the same thing as every wallet, custodian, API provider and accounting tool being ready for Batch. The earlier XRPL node upgrade coverage illustrates the operational effect of an amendment block in a previous release.
There is also a history a reporter cannot omit. A February vulnerability disclosure describes a flaw in an earlier Batch design that could have skipped authorization checks for other signers when an unfunded signer appeared first. The amendment had not gone live. The security audit account examined how independent review caught problems before production use. The September patch concerns a separately described wrapper issue; neither incident proves the current design is unsafe, but both explain why deployment timing deserves scrutiny.
What institutions could gain, and what they still need Atomic delivery against payment is the strongest case. A manager could coordinate a token transfer with payment on the same ledger, limiting the temporary exposure created by sequential transfers. An issuer could bundle account setup, authorization and issuance steps where the protocol permits those transaction types. Trading firms could use alternative execution paths. These are capabilities, not evidence of live assets and trades.
Tokenized assets require issuers, transfer agents or other responsible entities, rules on eligible holders, custody procedures, and a payment instrument with acceptable redemption terms. A Batch can make the on-chain legs execute under a chosen rule. It cannot make a security legally valid in another jurisdiction, obtain customer consent for an unrelated action or guarantee an external cash leg at a commercial bank.
Ripple’s case deserves its strongest version. A ledger-level mechanism can reduce coordination work for developers and remove a real class of partial settlement failures. The XRPL feature overview described Batch alongside other institutional functionality, though each amendment follows its own process. If named managers later show live, repeated settlement of real tokenized assets with correctly reconciled inner results, the adoption claim will have hard evidence behind it.
The limit is equally clear. A company preparing a pilot is not an asset manager using Batch in production. No public preparation claim tells us volumes, fees saved, settlement disputes prevented or which institution assumes off-chain obligations. An announcement can be true and still be too early to support those larger conclusions.
The ledger’s vote is only the first readiness test The expected October 9 activation of fixBatchV1_2 depends on sustained validator support. Operators need to run compatible software. Wallets must show users all inner actions and the selected mode before collecting a signature, as the specification recommends. Indexers must expose parent and child results. Custodians need policy checks for multi-account signatures. Asset managers need reconciliation and legal documentation.
There is no single percentage showing all that readiness. Validator voting measures agreement to a protocol change. The production test is whether real users can prepare, sign, submit, inspect and recover from a failed Batch without mismatched records. The unanswered commercial question is which named institution will show a repeatable use case once the amendment and tooling are live.
What to watch Amendment status: Whether fixBatchV1_2 retains support and enables on the expected October 9 date. Server upgrades: The share of operators running 3.4.1 before the security amendment becomes mandatory. Disclosure: Publication of the withheld patch source and the promised retrospective. Inner outcomes: Wallet and indexer support for mode display, parent links and action-level results. Production evidence: A named asset manager reporting live Batch volume and its settlement controls. FAQ Is XRPL Batch live on mainnet now? The relevant amendments and their live status must be checked at publication. The September 25 release described a security fix expected to enable October 9 if validator support persisted.
How many transactions can a Batch contain? The published XLS-0056 specification sets a minimum of two and maximum of eight inner transactions in the current design.
Does Batch guarantee every inner action succeeds? Only the all-or-nothing mode is designed around the full group succeeding together. Other modes deliberately allow a different pattern of partial execution.
Can one asset manager sign for every counterparty? No. In a multi-account Batch, affected accounts must approve the signed collection according to the protocol’s signing rules.
Does tesSUCCESS mean the trade settled? Not by itself. The outer result can succeed while an inner action fails, so systems must inspect each inner result and balances.
Will Batch make tokenized securities legally settled? It can coordinate on-chain steps. Legal rights, redemption and any external payment leg still depend on the asset’s terms and applicable infrastructure.
What changed in version 3.4.1? The foundation described an emergency security release adding fixBatchV1_2, including rejection of inner transactions with the wrong wrapper.
Have asset managers demonstrated live use? Ripple has reported preparation, but the cited public account did not name a production manager with repeatable live Batch settlement. This is educational analysis, not investment advice.

Given this fractional structure, even minor XRP price changes or increases in network liquidity can have a noticeable impact on the value of individual Drops, highlighting the network’s capacity for handling large-scale economic flows.
Corporate treasury ambition and acquisition strategyRipple CEO Brad Garlinghouse recently described the company’s focus on the estimated $120 trillion corporate treasury payments market. This expansive target reflects Ripple’s goal to modernize international B2B payments and optimize cross-border treasury flows using digital infrastructure.
To strengthen its corporate offering, Ripple acquired GTreasury last year. GTreasury reported processing over $13 trillion in payments, although none of these transactions were conducted in digital assets. Garlinghouse emphasized that Ripple’s next objective is to “make a dent in the universe,” underscoring the company’s determination to extend digital payment adoption within traditional finance.
The foundation of Ripple’s mission centers on enabling money to move as swiftly and transparently as information flows in today’s digital age. The company’s $155 trillion volume reference is based on SWIFT’s annual trading activity, positioning Ripple to compete within this domain.
Emerging partnerships and ISO 20022 complianceRipple’s collaboration with SWIFT on ISO 20022 compliance further supports its expansion into global financial networks. The international messaging standard is seen as a crucial step for linking traditional financial institutions with blockchain-based infrastructure, paving the way for more seamless integration of digital assets into global transactions.
Jeonbuk Bank of South Korea recently took a significant step by substituting its multi-day SWIFT transfers with Ripple Payments, demonstrating the increasing adoption of Ripple’s solutions among established banks. This development illustrates the gradual realization of Ripple’s sixteen-year-long vision to overhaul global payments infrastructure.
Ripple’s cooperation with SWIFT on ISO 20022 is positioning the company to directly interface with critical components of the global payments system, opening doors for more efficient cross-border transfer solutions.
However, it remains uncertain whether XRP will serve as the settlement medium in every transaction. Ripple’s ecosystem offers flexibility, as the On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) solution and RippleNet Payments allow a range of digital assets and facilitate swaps with local currencies.
Stablecoin rivalry and expanding payment routesCompetition within Ripple’s own network has intensified following the launch of the RLUSD stablecoin. With a market capitalization surpassing $2.5 billion within just two years, the RLUSD stablecoin has drawn attention from major Wall Street institutions and established crypto players, potentially shifting market preferences between native XRP and RLUSD for specific payment rails.
In the evolving landscape of meme tokens and high-volume trades, timely monitoring of price developments and investor behaviors is vital. In this context, an internet trend can rapidly translate into multimillion-dollar trading volumes; one prominent example is a $99 trade in Niu Lai that grew to approximately $370,000, according to Fomo App data. By aggregating token discovery, social feeds, and trading notifications, platforms like Fomo App are helping traders remain agile in the fast-moving meme token sector.
Separately, ACI Worldwide has added support for new payment routes featuring XRP. Handling close to 9% of SWIFT’s global trading volume, ACI Worldwide’s move brings Ripple closer to its previously stated aim of capturing 14% of SWIFT’s annual transaction volume.
ACI Worldwide’s integration of XRP into supported payment routes signals a milestone for Ripple’s international ambitions and underlines the growing acceptance of blockchain solutions in established payment networks.

The XRP Ledger (XRPL) is preparing to launch major upgrades that will open up new commercial uses for the network. According to Vet, the community lead at the XRPL Foundation, two fundamental amendments — Batch and Permission Delegation — have reached the final stage of validator voting.
About 11 days remain before both are fully activated on mainnet.

The upgrades are aimed directly at the corporate sector. They address key barriers that have prevented large financial institutions from safely using XRPL to automate payments and complex, structured transactions.
The XLS-56 feature eliminates the risk of funds becoming stuck in a commercial settlement if one party fails to meet its obligations. XLS-75, in turn, addresses strict banking security requirements by allowing organizations to distribute operational roles flexibly.
XRP Ledger's Vet highlights the 11-day countdown to major XRPL protocol amendments via XRPScan data. Source: @Vet_X0 / X.comThe upcoming upgrade centers on two automation tools:
Atomic batches (BatchV1_1 and fixBatchV1_2 amendments): Validator support currently stands at 85–94%, with activation expected on October 9, 2026. The feature allows multiple operations to be combined into a single, indivisible batch that executes on an "all or nothing" basis.Permission delegation (PermissionDelegationV1_1): The amendment has secured 82% support and entered its waiting period. Activation is scheduled for October 5, 2026. It allows organizations to delegate account permissions to third-party services or departments without revealing the primary private key. Both features are expected to support institutional-grade account management. Meanwhile, validators are also gathering votes for the related fixCleanup3_4_0 amendment, which is needed to stabilize AMM pools in the recent xrpld v3.4.0 software release.
A parallel development: Why one of XRPL's principal creators has returnedThe ecosystem's push into the corporate market is also accompanied by a return of technical expertise. Nik Bougalis, a key cryptographer and Ripple pioneer who left the project in 2022, has officially returned to work on the XRPL core.
In his high-level plan, he has already proposed a substantial overhaul of the ledger's low-level architecture. Moving the network to 64-bit components and eliminating raw pointers are intended to significantly improve the ledger's security ahead of potential institutional demand.

Activating these features in the code creates a foundation; it does not bring an immediate influx of liquidity. The speed at which major fintech companies incorporate the tools into real products will determine whether this technological upgrade becomes a driver of long-term demand for the native coin, XRP.
XRP ETF od Franklin Templeton (XRPZ) překonal 500 milionů USD v kumulativních čistých přílivech a stal se druhým spotovým XRP fondem nad touto hranicí. K milníku mu pomohl příliv 4,29 milionu USD.
Franklin Templeton’s XRP ETF (XRPZ) has become the second spot XRP fund to cross the $500 million mark in cumulative net inflows.
The fund reached the milestone after the U.S. spot XRP ETF market recorded a strong inflow on Sept. 25. Specifically, the five spot XRP ETFs attracted a combined $22.65 million, marking their largest single-day inflow in the past month.
Only two XRP ETFs contributed to the Sept. 25 total. The Bitwise XRP ETF, XRP, recorded $18.39 million in inflows, accounting for 81% of the day’s total. Franklin’s XRPZ brought in the remaining $4.26 million.
Although Franklin’s inflow was much smaller than Bitwise’s, it was enough to push XRPZ’s cumulative net inflow from $496.7 million to $500.99 million at press time.
This marked the first time the fund had crossed the $500 million level since its launch. For context, XRPZ reached the milestone about ten months after launching in late November 2025.
Franklin XRP ETF Sees Strong Inflows in 2026 Notably, by the end of 2025, XRPZ had recorded $242.58 million in cumulative net inflows. This indicates that the fund has attracted more than $258 million in additional capital this year, despite XRP’s continued price struggles.
Of this figure, XRPZ has brought in $38.13 million in inflows so far in September. XRP’s price recovery since August has helped bring renewed interest to regulated XRP investment products.
Franklin Templeton XRP ETF | Source: Sosovalue With $38.13 million in monthly inflows, September has become XRPZ’s third-best month, behind January with $59.83 million and May with $41.82 million.
September has also produced the highest trading volume for Franklin’s XRP ETF. The investment product has recorded $217.9 million in trading volume so far this month, beating its previous record of $176.44 million set in December 2025.
Franklin Moves Further Ahead of Canary The latest $22.65 million inflow also pushed the combined cumulative net inflows across all five XRP ETFs to $1.79 billion. The total has continued to rise after falling to $1.39 billion on Sept. 17.
With XRPZ now at $500.99 million, Franklin has strengthened its position as the second-largest XRP ETF by cumulative net inflows. Canary Capital’s XRP ETF (XRPC) remains third with $489.37 million.
XRPC launched as the first pure spot XRP ETF in the U.S. market and initially had the first-mover advantage. However, Bitwise and Franklin have moved ahead of Canary this year. Currently, Bitwise remains the largest XRP ETF by cumulative net inflows, with $676.29 million.
Canary’s XRPC has also struggled to attract new capital in September. The fund has not recorded a single day of inflows since Sept. 1, when it received $3 million. It has recorded zero flows since then, apart from a $1.37 million outflow on Sept. 17.
XRPC now needs about $10.6 million in additional inflows to become the third XRP ETF to cross the $500 million cumulative net inflow mark.
Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD has reached a new market capitalization high, with growth exceeding 86% since the beginning of the year. According to current data, the circulating supply of RLUSD has risen to approximately $2.49 billion. The stablecoin’s market capitalization was around $1.33 billion at the beginning of 2026. Thus, RLUSD has recorded growth of over 86% since the start of the year.
The market capitalization gap between RLUSD and PYUSD, issued by PayPal, is also rapidly closing. PYUSD currently has a market capitalization of approximately $2.73 billion, reducing the difference between RLUSD and PYUSD to around $248 million.
Data from the past week has revealed differing trends between the two stablecoins. While the supply of RLUSD increased by approximately $112 million, the supply of PYUSD decreased by approximately $61 million. PYUSD started 2026 with a supply of approximately $3.531 billion and peaked at $4.214 billion on March 5th. The stablecoin’s supply has declined by approximately 35 percent since that peak.
In terms of RLUSD distribution across networks, both XRP Ledger and Ethereum saw growth. Between September 21-28, the RLUSD supply on XRP Ledger increased from $1.036 billion to $1.099 billion, an increase of approximately $63 million. Similarly, the RLUSD supply on Ethereum rose from $1.343 billion to $1.39 billion during the same period, an increase of approximately $49 million.
Currently, approximately 44% of the total RLUSD supply is held on the XRP Ledger, while 56% is held on Ethereum.
While the total size of the global stablecoin market is approximately $306 billion, RLUSD’s market share remains relatively low. However, Ripple has recently accelerated its efforts to increase the use of RLUSD, particularly on the XRP Ledger.

Spotové XRP ETF přilákaly za týden 75,59 milionu USD nového kapitálu a kumulativní čisté přílivy dosáhly 1,79 miliardy USD. XRP zároveň čeká na hlasování akcionářů Evernorth 30. září.
XRP has returned to the $1.50 area as traders prepare for a Sept. 30 shareholder vote on Evernorth Holdings’ planned Nasdaq transaction, while U.S. spot XRP ETFs continue attracting fresh capital.
Summary
XRP trades near $1.50 now as the September 30 Evernorth shareholder vote approaches this week. Spot XRP ETFs attracted $75.59 million last week, lifting cumulative net inflows to $1.79 billion. Evernorth holds 473.28 million XRP and plans a Nasdaq listing under the XRPN ticker symbol. September 30 shareholders will vote on Evernorth’s merger, while remaining closing conditions still require completion. Analysts identify $1.55 as immediate resistance, with higher price targets remaining conditional on confirmed breakouts. CoinGecko data show XRP trading near $1.54, with a 24-hour range between $1.50 and $1.55 and a market capitalization near $96.9 billion. Trading volume stood at roughly $2.7 billion when the data were checked.
The token had traded near $1.47 earlier during the latest pullback before recovering part of the decline. XRP remains above its recent sub-$1.30 lows but continues to face resistance around $1.55 to $1.60.
Two events now sit close together on the calendar. Armada Acquisition Corp. II shareholders will vote Wednesday on its proposed combination with Evernorth, while XRP is testing the same technical area that several analysts have identified as the next breakout level.
Can XRP price clear the $1.55 resistance? XRP has repeatedly struggled to establish a sustained move above the $1.55 region following its September recovery.
The daily chart shows XRP trading near $1.4753 after retreating from the recent $1.60 area. Price recovered from an August low near $1.00 before moving into a consolidation range between roughly $1.35 and $1.60. The latest decline of approximately 2.73% points to short-term weakness, while XRP remains well above its August low.
Momentum indicators remain modestly positive. The Relative Strength Index stands at 54.49, above the neutral 50 level but below its signal average near 57.03. The reading shows buying momentum has weakened from earlier September levels without reaching the overbought zone above 70.
XRP price chart, source: TradingView The MACD remains slightly bullish. Its line stands near 0.0518, above the signal line around 0.0481, while the histogram remains positive at approximately 0.0037. The narrow gap between the two lines shows bullish momentum remains limited as XRP consolidates below $1.60 resistance.
In related coverage, crypto.news reported on Sept. 25 that XRP had climbed back toward the 1.55–1.60 resistance zone after gaining nearly 16% over seven days.
Market analyst Ali Martinez has placed similar attention on $1.55. His Sept. 18 chart showed a possible inverse head-and-shoulders formation with its neckline around that level.
Martinez said a confirmed break above $1.55 could open a path toward approximately $2. The projection depends on the pattern completing and does not represent a confirmed price outcome.
Peter Brandt has presented a longer-term view. In a Sept. 21 chart shared on X, the veteran trader said the structure “implies an eventual advance to $5.40.” Brandt made clear that publishing the chart was not the same as placing a trade and gave no timetable for the target.
Brandt returned to XRP several days later and said traders did not need strong community loyalty to consider the asset. His comments referred to XRP’s chart structure, not a confirmed purchase or recommendation.
The immediate technical test remains much closer to current prices. XRP needs to establish a sustained move through roughly $1.55 before the higher chart projections identified by Martinez or other analysts become relevant.
XRP ETF inflows reach $1.79 billion U.S. spot XRP ETFs attracted $75.59 million in net inflows during the Sept. 21–25 trading week, according to SoSoValue data.
Bitwise’s XRP product accounted for $58.99 million of the weekly total. Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ added $16.60 million, taking their cumulative inflows to approximately $677 million and $501 million, respectively.
Combined historical net inflows for U.S. spot XRP funds have reached approximately $1.79 billion. The products held around $1.77 billion in net assets at the end of the week.
Friday produced $22.65 million of net inflows, following $20.02 million on Sept. 22, $18.04 million on Sept. 23 and $14.89 million on Sept. 24. Monday recorded no net movement.
Crypto.news had reported cumulative inflows near $1.76 billion on Sept. 25, before the full week’s flow data were available. The same report cited Santiment data showing large XRP holders accumulated 1.54 billion tokens within a 96-hour period.
Earlier in September, crypto.news reported that Bitwise’s XRP ETF alone held more than 365 million XRP worth roughly $507 million as of Aug. 30.
ETF flows measure capital entering and leaving the investment products. They do not establish that XRP must rise on the same day, and several sessions during September recorded inflows while the token declined.
Evernorth vote puts Sept. 30 in focus Armada Acquisition Corp. II shareholders are scheduled to vote Sept. 30 on the proposed business combination with Evernorth Holdings.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission declared Evernorth’s Form S-4 registration statement effective on Aug. 27, allowing the companies to distribute definitive proxy materials and proceed with the vote. SEC effectiveness does not represent approval of the transaction or Evernorth’s XRP strategy.
As crypto.news previously reported, shareholders who held Armada shares on the Aug. 20 record date are eligible to vote at the virtual meeting. Public shareholders seeking redemption faced a Sept. 28 deadline under the proxy materials.
If shareholders approve the deal and the remaining conditions are met, the combined company expects to trade on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN. Nasdaq listing requirements still have to be satisfied before the transaction can be completed.
Evernorth disclosed plans to operate an actively managed XRP treasury. Company materials say it intends to deploy assets through XRP Ledger infrastructure, treasury strategies and capital-market activity designed to increase XRP represented by each share over time. The objective remains a company plan, not a guaranteed financial result.
The company currently controls or has commitments covering approximately 473.28 million XRP. Evernorth announced in November 2025 that it had acquired an additional 84.37 million XRP for about $214 million, taking purchased and committed XRP above 473 million tokens.
Evernorth’s $30 million financing depends on closing Evernorth has arranged another $30 million of financing ahead of the shareholder vote, but the money has not yet been funded.
An SEC filing shows Evernorth signed a note purchase agreement on Sept. 11 with NH Investment & Securities, acting as trustee for Kyobo AIM Corporate Finance General Private Investment Trust No. 3.
The agreement covers $30 million of 4% convertible senior payment-in-kind notes due in 2031. The financing is scheduled to close only when Evernorth’s combination with Armada closes, which the filing says is expected during the fourth quarter.
Evernorth may use proceeds for general corporate purposes, including additional XRP purchases and activities within the XRP ecosystem. The filing does not require the entire $30 million to be spent on XRP.
As crypto.news reported, describing the agreement as a completed $30 million raise would be premature because issuance and payment remain conditional on the business combination closing.
The proposed transaction originally involved more than $1 billion of gross proceeds backed by investors including Ripple, SBI Holdings, Pantera Capital and Kraken. Evernorth amended parts of the structure in August after XRP fell below the $2.36 reference price used when the original agreement was signed.
Under the revised structure, the number of shares issued at closing will adjust with XRP’s market price. Evernorth said investors representing more than 95% of committed capital agreed to the amended terms.
The shareholder meeting remains scheduled for Sept. 30. Approval would still leave the parties to satisfy the business combination’s remaining closing requirements and Nasdaq’s conditions before Evernorth can complete the transaction and operate publicly under XRPN.

A viral clip from crypto influencer @strivex_ is making rounds again. It claims Ripple is targeting a $155 trillion global payments market.
It also suggests XRP could theoretically hit $15,000 if it replaces SWIFT. The post traces back to an earlier claim by @BANXRPLNEWS, which has been recirculating since at least June 2026. That $155T figure is real. But what it actually means for investors is a different story.
The $155T Claim Is Real, But It Is Not the Remittance Market Investors need to separate two very different numbers. Consumer remittances are roughly $685 billion a year. That is the market Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin is targeting for retail cross-border transfers.
The $155 trillion figure, however, refers to global cross-border payments, the much larger SWIFT-linked corporate flow. These two markets are being mixed in the viral post.
🚨 RIPPLE IS TARGETING THE $155T REMITTANCE MARKET!
With ambitions to reshape global payments, $XRP could play a major role in the evolving financial system.

— Ledger Man 🎩 (@strivex_) September 28, 2026
Ripple has been building quietly toward this vision. Last week, South Korea’s Jeonbuk Bank officially replaced multi-day SWIFT transfers with Ripple Payments for business customers. That is a live rail, not a projection.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has pegged the official company opportunity at $120 trillion in corporate treasury payments, anchored by the GTreasury acquisition.
Meanwhile, Ripple Treasury’s client base already touches roughly $13 trillion in annual payment flows. That gap between the viral headline and the live business is where investors should focus.
The bigger tension is between XRP and RLUSD. As RLUSD’s market cap nears $2.5 billion, more settlement flows on the XRP Ledger are denominated in stablecoins, not XRP itself.
Ripple has already confirmed RLUSD targets a $13 trillion corporate treasury market.
That creates a demand question XRP investors cannot ignore: does volume growth translate into XRP demand, or does RLUSD absorb the flows?
What Is Actually Moving XRP Right Now Today’s buzz has a real calendar hook. Sibos 2026, the global banking conference where Ripple Treasury is presenting, opened in Miami this morning.
The timing is not coincidental. XRP advocates are using the conference narrative to revive the SWIFT-replacement story heading into a historically active week.
On the ground, there are legitimate proof points. JPMorgan, Ripple, and Ondo completed the first cross-border tokenized treasury settlement on the XRP Ledger.
Ripple also added XRP and RLUSD to Stripe and Tempo’s agentic payment rails. XRPL new-account creation spiked 320% above its average as XRP tagged $1.60 last week.
Derivatives traders are already leaning in. XRP futures open interest topped $4.1 billion, outpacing Hyperliquid and Zcash.
Call skew has turned crowded bullish. Still, 21Shares has flagged a utility-vs-holder-value gap, institutions can settle on the XRP Ledger without holding XRP. That risk is worth pricing in before chasing the $15,000 thumbnail.
The TAM is real. The rails are being built. But the question for XRP holders is whether they sit on the settlement asset or the plumbing no one sees.
The XRP Ledger has reported a substantial surge in on-chain activity, highlighted by a 535.2% increase in newly created accounts and sharp growth in payments and value transferred across the network. According to recent analytics, the network is experiencing one of its most active periods in recent memory.
Account metrics display mixed trendsData from the latest activity dashboard shows that 2,900 new accounts were established on the XRP Ledger, up from the prior period by over fivefold. Additionally, active accounts climbed 218.1% to 15,300, signaling intensified network participation among wallet holders. However, the number of unique active users fell 70.6% to 140,000, suggesting that while more wallets are being created and existing accounts are seeing more activity, overall user engagement on a per-person basis has dropped.
MetricCurrent ValueChange (%)New accounts created2,900+535.2%Active accounts15,300+218.1%Active users140,000-70.6%Mini dictionary: XRP Ledger, a decentralized public blockchain developed by Ripple for efficient cross-border payments and fast, low-cost transactions using the digital asset XRP.
Transaction activity and network throughputSuccessful transactions on the network surged 80.8% to reach 1.7 million, while the total transaction count rose 138.7% to 2.4 million. Payments, a key adoption metric, grew by 108.9% and hit 1.2 million transactions.
Ledger throughput reflected a sharp expansion as well. The number of ledgers closed increased by 288% to 20,400, accompanied by a 38.5% decrease in transactions per ledger to 116.47. This distribution pattern aligns with quicker ledger finalizations distributing activity across more but smaller increments.
Ledger intervals, marking the average time between consecutive ledger closures, remained virtually unchanged with a marginal 0.1% increase to 389 seconds.
Spike in payment volume and network feesPayment volume on the XRP Ledger soared 894.3%, reaching approximately 704.2 million XRP. During the same period, network fee burn—measured by the XRP destroyed in transaction fees—climbed to 300.3 XRP, marking a 225.7% rise compared to the previous tracking window.
Each transaction on the XRP Ledger requires a nominal fee, which is permanently destroyed to prevent spam and maintain network integrity. The surge in fees burned mirrors the heightened transaction activity across the platform.
New XRP accounts increased by over 500%, payment volume neared 704 million XRP, and network fee burn also rose sharply, showing a highly active period for the blockchain despite a drop in unique active users.
XRP price movement and user behaviorIn trading markets, XRP/USD experienced a significant rebound in late August. After experiencing a prolonged downtrend through the second and third quarters, the asset spiked from near $1.05 to an intraday high close to $1.70 before consolidating. XRP recently climbed above major moving averages and was trading near $1.53 at the time of analysis.
The increase in network activity, combined with the decline in active users, points to a scenario where growth is driven primarily by a smaller group of highly active participants rather than a broad-based expansion of the user base.

XRP has attracted renewed attention in the market following a surge of inflows into US spot XRP exchange-traded funds, with the digital asset trading just above $1.50.
ETF inflows support XRPBetween September 22 and September 24, spot XRP ETFs in the United States registered net inflows totaling $52.95 million. These include a $9.91 million inflow to the Bitwise XRP ETF on September 24 and a $4.98 million addition to the Franklin XRP ETF during the same period.
These inflows arrive after a phase of relatively low activity and are seen as a revival in demand for regulated XRP investment vehicles. Recent filings indicate expanding ETF product offerings, such as the Ultra XRP ETF by ProShares, which is among the suite of cryptocurrency-focused ETFs now available in the US.
ProShares is a well-known asset manager specializing in exchange-traded funds that give investors structured exposure to various asset classes.

XRP spot ETFs in the US recorded $52.95 million in combined net inflows between September 22 and September 24, led by products from Bitwise and Franklin, highlighting rising investor demand for regulated XRP access.
Technical signals and key price levelsXRP’s price recently pulled back from a high of $1.63 and is now preparing to close the week near its 50-week exponential moving average. The digital asset is currently trading at $1.54, with a 24-hour trading volume of $5.18 billion and a market capitalization of $96.83 billion. Over the last 24 hours, XRP has declined by 1.89%.
Analysis indicates that the price is consolidating within the $1.50 to $1.60 zone, which has become a focal point for market participants. ChartNerd, an independent market analyst, described the $1.55 mark as a significant liquidity level, noting that the price has recently crossed liquidity from the previous trading session. Neutral funding rates and a reduction in trading volume over the weekend have also been observed around these levels.

Leveraged ETF developmentsProShares’ Ultra XRP ETF (UXRP) is designed to provide investors with leveraged exposure equivalent to twice the daily movement of the Bloomberg XRP Index. Unlike spot ETFs, UXRP is a leveraged product, which means its returns can differ significantly from holding XRP directly.
UXRP adds another dimension for those seeking aggressive exposure to XRP price movements within a regulated ETF structure.
Recent SEC filings indicate that ProShares has registered both a standard XRP ETF and the leveraged UXRP fund, but these are not currently offered for trading. Market participants are closely monitoring these developments as the US ETF landscape for digital assets continues to evolve.
The interplay of regulated investment flows and critical technical levels has placed XRP in the spotlight as traders await the next decisive move outside the current consolidation zone.
XRP ETF drží šest měsíců v řadě čisté přílivy, v srpnu přibylo 159,18 milionu USD a v září zatím 117,44 milionu USD. Futures ale ukazují převahu prodejů a rezervy XRP na Binance rostou.
Ripple [XRP] has been getting a lot of love from ETF investors lately. However, there’s two sides to every story, and traders are on the other end of the tale.
What gives?
Six months in the green for XRP ETFs Monthly net inflows have stayed green for half a year now, per SoSoValue. August was the biggest of the lot at $159.18 million.
September has added another $117.44 million so far. That brings total net assets to $1.77 billion.
Source: SoSoValue Now here’s the catch.
Source: CryptoQuant Over on the futures side, CryptoQuant’s 90-day taker CVD showed sell-dominance earlier in the month.
It’s been bleeding red ever since.
Source: CryptoQuant Funding rates have, for the most part, been positive. However, they fell massively into the deep red for a few times since late August. A look at the numbers will show dips as low as -0.018 in mid September.
While most traders still lean long, short bets keep popping up like weeds.
XRP active addresses rise, and so do reserves Traders might be split, but the XRP ledger itself has been bustling.
Active addresses rose to 29.9K, per CryptoQuant. That’s the highest in half a year, and a king’s leap from the 10.7K of mid-September. For most of June to August, the number moved between 12.5K and 17.5K.
Source: CryptoQuant But here’s the other POV.
Reserves on Binance have also been going up, now at 2.695 billion XRP. But what does that have to do with anything?
Source: CryptoQuant More XRP on exchanges means more coins to be sold. The network is awake, and there’s more supply on the sell side.
If you add the red CVD to that, holders are maybe ready to cash in on the bounce.
Where do we go from here? First things first, a key data point to watch, is whether ETFs stay green in the following months. If that sustains, that’s steady demand.
Next, the CVD. A change back to neutral or buy-dominant would mean futures traders are finally on board.
Finally, if Binance reserves keep rising while active addresses slow, sell pressure could win out.
Final Summary XRP ETFs have been in the green for half a year now. Futures CVD has turned sell-dominant and XRP ledger activity has increased.
RLUSD má v oběhu asi 2,49 miliardy tokenů a hodnota stablecoinů na XRP Ledgeru za týden vzrostla zhruba o 6 %. Z toho asi 1,10 miliardy připadá na RLUSD.
Ripple’s RLUSD has reached a circulating supply of about 2.49 billion tokens as the value of stablecoins on the XRP Ledger has risen roughly 6% in a week.
Summary
CoinMarketCap places RLUSD’s circulating supply near 2.49 billion tokens, up from the $2 billion milestone Ripple reported in August. DefiLlama data cited in the source report puts XRPL stablecoins near $1.19 billion, led by RLUSD. RLUSD is issued across several networks, so its total supply exceeds the amount held on XRPL. Standard Custody issues the dollar-pegged token under New York state supervision. CoinMarketCap data places RLUSD’s circulating supply at approximately 2.49 billion tokens and its market value close to $2.5 billion. The stablecoin trades near $1, so the increase in market value comes mainly from more tokens in circulation, rather than a rise in its price.
Ripple said RLUSD had crossed $2 billion in market value in late August. At the time, close to $1 billion had been issued on the XRP Ledger, according to the company. The latest total puts circulation roughly $490 million above that milestone, though tracker readings can differ by snapshot time and by how they count tokens across networks.
The XRPL figures describe a smaller pool. DefiLlama data cited in the source report placed all stablecoins on the ledger at approximately $1.19 billion, up about 6% over seven days and 11% over 30 days. About $1.10 billion of that amount was attributed to RLUSD, giving Ripple’s token more than 92% of the ledger’s tracked stablecoin supply.
RLUSD supply has grown beyond its August milestone Ripple launched RLUSD in December 2024 as a dollar-pegged token for payments and other financial transactions. The company first issued it on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum and has since listed additional supported networks in its documentation.
When RLUSD passed $2 billion in August, Ethereum held slightly more of the token than XRPL. As crypto.news reported at the time, on-chain figures put about $963 million on XRPL and $1.05 billion on Ethereum. Ripple described the ledger’s share as close to $1 billion.
The current XRPL figure of about $1.10 billion points to further issuance on Ripple’s home ledger. It also means that well over $1 billion of the roughly $2.49 billion total remains on other supported networks. The figures should be kept separate: RLUSD’s total circulating supply counts the token wherever it has been issued, while the XRPL stablecoin total counts dollar tokens on that ledger.
Institutional clients have a direct route to create and redeem the token through Ripple Mint. Ripple introduced the service in July with an interface and API for eligible clients to manage RLUSD operations. The company presents it as a way to fit stablecoin issuance into existing treasury and payment systems.
Ripple has also identified corporate treasury payments as a possible use for RLUSD. In September, the company pointed to clients handling an estimated $13 trillion annually, according to earlier treasury coverage. That figure describes the payments handled by potential clients; it is not a measure of transactions already settled in RLUSD.
XRP Ledger stablecoins remain concentrated in RLUSD DefiLlama’s XRPL total puts other stablecoins on the network at roughly $90 million after subtracting the reported $1.10 billion in RLUSD. The estimate depends on the timing of each tracker reading, but it shows the size of Ripple’s token relative to the ledger’s other dollar assets.
For XRPL users, RLUSD provides a dollar-denominated asset that can move on the same ledger as XRP. Ripple’s documentation describes the stablecoin as redeemable for U.S. dollars through its issuer’s arrangements. XRP serves a different role as the ledger’s native token and is used to pay network fees.
The difference matters when assessing what the new supply means for XRP holders. More RLUSD on XRPL can produce additional ledger activity, but it does not require holders of the stablecoin to buy an equivalent value of XRP. A September report on XRP examined the two assets’ separate price and usage trends as RLUSD grew past $2.3 billion.
Ripple has described RLUSD uses that include payments, trading collateral and tokenized assets. In August, it joined Clearpool and Cicada on a planned institutional credit fund denominated in RLUSD. The proposed credit fund was still under development when announced, and its planned size had not been disclosed.
New York oversight governs RLUSD’s reserves In the United States, RLUSD’s issuer is Standard Custody & Trust Company, a Ripple subsidiary chartered as a limited-purpose trust company by the New York State Department of Financial Services. Ripple says the tokens are backed by cash and permitted cash equivalents held in segregated reserve accounts.
According to Ripple’s transparency disclosures, the company publishes monthly third-party attestations of the assets backing RLUSD. Those reports show reserves and circulation at a specified date, while market trackers update their supply estimates more frequently. Ripple selected BNY in 2025 as the primary custodian for RLUSD reserves.
Ripple’s terms state that RLUSD is not an insured bank deposit. For U.S. holders, redemption rights and the assets in reserve therefore depend on the issuer’s arrangements and applicable oversight, rather than Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation coverage.
Separately, the Federal Reserve released two proposed rules on Sep. 24 to implement parts of the GENIUS Act for issuers under its supervision and for insured state member banks seeking to issue payment stablecoins through subsidiaries. The Fed’s proposed rules cover permitted reserves, capital, risk controls, and bank applications. Public comments are due 60 days after the proposals appear in the Federal Register.
The recently enacted GENIUS Act could drive new growth in RLUSD adoption and enhance usage of the XRP Ledger, according to cryptocurrency researcher SMQKE. The claim centers on legislative changes to stablecoin regulation in the United States and the resulting impact on both RLUSD and XRP transaction activity.
SMQKE connects GENIUS Act to RLUSD adoptionSMQKE released a document on social platform X outlining how the GENIUS Act may affect the position of RLUSD and XRP in the stablecoin market. The legislation establishes standards for stablecoin reserves, licensing, and interoperability, aiming to increase oversight for payment-focused stablecoins used in financial markets.
President Donald Trump signed the GENIUS Act into law on July 18, 2025. The US Treasury Department stated that the act creates a federal regulatory structure for stablecoin issuers operating within the country.
The researcher’s analysis suggests the act’s compliance requirements could bolster financial institutions’ trust in RLUSD, a stablecoin issued by Ripple. The document claims that with improved transparency, RLUSD could attract more adoption from banks and payment companies seeking regulated stablecoin options.
Ripple, a US-based blockchain company known for cross-border payments technology, currently issues RLUSD on both the XRP Ledger and Ethereum. Ripple has emphasized that each RLUSD token is fully backed by a reserve comprised of cash, cash equivalents, and other approved assets.
Mini dictionary: RLUSD, a stablecoin developed and issued by Ripple, maintains a fixed value of one US dollar and is supported by various reserves. RLUSD is available on the XRP Ledger, Ethereum, and potentially other networks, targeting use cases in payments and settlements.
“Yes, the GENIUS Act will amplify XRP’s use case. This is documented below.”
RLUSD transactions use XRP for feesThe document further links the expected growth in RLUSD adoption to demand for XRP within the XRP Ledger ecosystem. On XRPL, every transaction requires users to destroy a small amount of XRP as a network fee. The base transaction cost is currently set at 10 drops, but it can rise during periods of high congestion. Burned XRP is permanently removed from the overall supply, rather than distributed to validators or other parties.
Transaction TypeFee (in XRP)Fee RecipientStandard XRPL transaction10 drops minimumPermanently destroyedIncreased XRPL demandVariable, higher during congestionPermanently destroyedSMQKE argued that as more RLUSD transactions occur on the XRP Ledger, they could lead to additional XRP being burned as transaction fees. The researcher noted this effect would be most pronounced if RLUSD becomes widely used for cross-border payments or daily transactions.
However, a respondent identified as TipTopJester questioned the scale of this impact, pointing out that each RLUSD transaction only consumes a minor amount of XRP. The commenter acknowledged regulatory support from the GENIUS Act could foster RLUSD’s competitiveness but maintained that the magnitude of XRP burned relative to total circulating supply would be limited.
SMQKE’s analysis draws attention to regulatory clarity, stablecoin compliance, and the possible ripple effect on XRP transaction volumes, but the ultimate scale of these impacts remains uncertain.
The XRP and RLUSD distinctionIndustry observers continue to distinguish between XRP, the native asset of the XRP Ledger, and RLUSD, which is issued as a dollar-backed stablecoin for transactional use. Ripple documentation explains that while XRP enables decentralized value transfers and acts as the ledger’s core asset, RLUSD is designed for payments and settlements with one-to-one dollar parity.
SMQKE’s position highlights that any uptick in stablecoin adoption—particularly for RLUSD—resulting from regulatory reform could generate more XRP fee burns via transaction activity. While the researcher portrays potential technical and market synergies, they stop short of projecting any specific levels of increased XRP demand.
Current analyses reflect that additional regulatory clarity is generally viewed as supportive for both stablecoin adoption and related payment networks, but market participants await observable data to gauge the full scope of the GENIUS Act’s effects on the broader ecosystem.
Ripple uvedl, že nabídka stablecoinu RLUSD dosáhla zhruba 2,4 miliardy USD a je kryta rezervami ve výši 2,52 miliardy USD. XRP Ledger zároveň rozšiřuje DeFi a připravuje onchain lending.
The XRP Ledger, originally launched by Ripple to enable fast value transfers, is undergoing a significant transformation driven by three new developments: the issuance of the RLUSD stablecoin, the programmability of XRP through FXRP, and the forthcoming expansion of onchain lending capabilities.
Stablecoin Settlement Expands on XRP LedgerRipple has reported that RLUSD, the stablecoin issued on both Ethereum and the XRP Ledger (XRPL), has reached approximately $2.4 billion in circulation. As of September 3, the supply is reportedly backed by $2.52 billion in reserve assets, according to Ripple’s latest transparency disclosures.
Unlike XRP, which has experienced notable price volatility, RLUSD introduces a settlement token tied to the US dollar. This new option allows institutions to transfer value and settle transactions on-chain while minimizing exposure to market swings.
Ripple has deployed RLUSD on both Ethereum and XRPL, enabling liquidity to move across networks and building interoperability. Data from Coinpaper illustrates how RLUSD supply can be distributed dynamically between the two chains, showing that Ripple’s approach is multi-ecosystem rather than exclusive to XRPL.
Ripple maintains RLUSD reserves above circulating supply, supporting stable value transfer for payments, tokenized assets, and future credit markets on-chain.
Despite these developments, XRP continues as the native currency for transaction fees and reserve requirements on the XRP Ledger.
FXRP: Unlocking Programmable Use Cases for XRPFlare Network, a blockchain focused on data-driven smart contracts, has enabled new utility for XRP holders through FXRP. According to Flare’s latest updates, approximately 145.2 million FXRP tokens have been created, with 130 million currently deployed across decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms. An additional 21 million FXRP has been bridged to external chains using LayerZero infrastructure.
FXRP is not a native asset on the XRP Ledger; rather, it is issued on Flare and other connected networks. The underlying XRP collateral, however, stays on XRPL while Flare’s system manages its corresponding FXRP supply.
Recent analysis of FXRP usage shows nearly 90% of its supply is active in DeFi strategies such as lending, collateralization, and vault services.
FXRP enables XRP to participate in smart contracts and DeFi without leaving the XRP Ledger, enhancing programmability and ecosystem interaction.
This approach allows XRP to benefit from programmable features without compromising XRPL network integrity or control over the underlying asset.
Mini dictionary: Flare Network is an EVM-compatible blockchain designed to enable trustless interoperability and real-world data integration for smart contracts, expanding asset programmability beyond their native chains.
Native Lending Protocol Nears XRPL MainnetEnhancements to the XRP Ledger continue with the 3.4.0 release, which introduces the codebase for LendingProtocolV1_1. This protocol includes closed-ended vaults, single-asset funding, and cash-basis accounting, reflecting a more institutional approach to onchain credit.
The system is designed for fixed-term, uncollateralized lending, with borrower risk assessment provided externally, rather than by the protocol itself. While this new lending functionality awaits full activation, it marks a step toward bringing credit operations directly on-chain with XRP Ledger infrastructure.
Ripple, along with partners such as Clearpool and Cicada, is already working to develop institutional credit markets utilizing RLUSD stablecoin, setting a foundation for future capital market activities around the XRPL ecosystem.
LendingProtocolV1_1 still needs to complete the XRP Ledger’s governance process before it becomes operational on the main network. Observers note that these developments do not replace XRP’s original payment use case, but instead increase the diversity of financial activity anchored on the ledger.
XRP surged 7.7% on September 18, rallying from about $1.30 to $1.40 and briefly touching $1.41 after Bitwise Asset Management submitted a fresh filing connected to its XRP ETF with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Despite widespread attention, the new paperwork did not mark the regulatory approval of a brand new exchange-traded fund. Bitwise, a well-known digital asset manager, provided a Post-Effective Amendment No. 2 for its already active Bitwise XRP ETF. The SEC’s public filing described the update as a preliminary prospectus dated September 18 and made clear the product’s documents are still “subject to completion.”
A crucial detail noted by market observers is that Bitwise’s filing pertained to an existing product, rather than an application for the first XRP ETF by the company. Some sources emphasized that headlines announcing Bitwise was “filing for an XRP ETF” failed to accurately capture the true scope of the event.
XRP’s gain on September 18 followed Bitwise’s update to a current XRP ETF, not a completely new application, according to details from the official SEC documents and historical fund records.
Details about the Bitwise XRP ETFAccording to the filing, the Bitwise XRP ETF trades on the NYSE Arca under the ticker XRP. The fund’s stated goal is to provide investors with exposure to XRP held by the trust. Accounting consents within the document reference financial statements dating back to November 19, 2025, confirming that the fund was already operating before the recent amendment.

XRP price movement and ETF inflowsMarket history shows XRP opened the day near $1.30, hit an intraday high around $1.41, and closed at about $1.40, recording a 7.69% gain. This rally came in the middle of a volatile period for the asset. Three days prior, XRP had slipped to $1.28 after trading above $1.42, before mounting a recovery that gained speed on September 18. By September 21, XRP reached approximately $1.53.
Meanwhile, US XRP ETF products had already gathered about $1.7 billion in historical net inflows as of September 17, despite XRP trading well below its all-time peak. Research group Coinpaper recently highlighted this divergence between robust ETF demand and XRP’s subdued price levels.
Cryptographer Nik Bougalis, widely recognized for his pivotal contributions to the XRP Ledger, has rejoined active development on the project’s source code after an absence of nearly two years.
Ripple leadership welcomes Bougalis’s comebackRipple‘s engineering community showed strong support for Bougalis’s return. David Schwartz, who previously held the position of CTO at Ripple, expressed his appreciation on X after learning that Bougalis would once again contribute to the XRP Ledger. Schwartz had once suggested that the opportunity to collaborate with Bougalis might be the only reason he would consider coming back to coding.
H. Ayo Akinyele, head of engineering at RippleX, also acknowledged that Bougalis’s expertise was essential for tackling upcoming technological challenges.
RippleX’s head of engineering described Bougalis as a key figure in addressing next-generation technology initiatives as the industry advances.
Technical focus: Security and performance improvementsBougalis marked his official comeback by submitting pull request PR #8300 to the XRPLF/rippled repository under the name “I’m back, baby.” This submission is not merely symbolic; it introduces significant technical upgrades targeting some of the ledger’s foundational components.
Highlights of his proposed changes include refactoring the BaseUInt data type to utilize 64-bit elements when the platform architecture permits, and the removal of potentially hazardous raw pointers and unchecked runtime constructors. The main objective is to enhance the code’s safety at compile time, ultimately protecting the network against failures during periods of heavy use.
Bougalis’s changes are designed to improve security and optimize system performance by directly addressing vulnerabilities in the ledger’s core code.
Bougalis, eighth to join Ripple in its early years and inventor of several key cryptographic patents, stepped away from the project in 2022 and later served as CTO at the Algorand Foundation in 2025. His return to XRPL occurs as the broader blockchain landscape faces significant structural transformations.
XRPL adapts to ongoing industry shiftsThe XRP Ledger is now preparing for further integration of real-world assets (RWA), while also adapting to evolving U.S. regulatory requirements. Bougalis’s deep technical background and reputation for setting industry standards in secure protocol design highlights Ripple’s ongoing commitment to robust engineering.
Alongside these core advancements, monitoring market trends and new token launches remains crucial for developers and investors. For instance, the meme token market frequently witnesses internet trends turning into substantial capital flows. Recent data from Fomo App highlights a notable case where an initial $99 purchase of “Niu Lai” transformed into about $370,000. This example illustrates the value of not just tracking prices, but also understanding investor timing and token selection. Fomo App responds to these needs by combining token discovery, live trading features, social feeds, investor leaderboards, and real-time notifications for a comprehensive user experience.
The partnership between veteran developers and new market tools signals a period of innovation and renewed focus for the XRPL ecosystem, with technical and community-driven growth on the horizon.
Velcí držitelé během pěti dnů nakoupili přes 470 milionů XRP v hodnotě asi 724 milionů USD. XRP zároveň těžilo z přílivu 22,65 milionu USD do spotových ETF v USA.
Key Takeaways XRP climbed to a range between $1.54 and $1.58, registering approximately 10% gains across the week as Bitcoin maintained levels above $84,000 and Ethereum hovered around $2,680. Following the Senate’s failure to pass the CLARITY Act, SEC staff released non-binding guidance addressing token buybacks, staking mechanisms, and protocol upgrades. Spot XRP exchange-traded funds in the United States attracted $22.65 million in net capital on September 25, with Bitwise’s offering capturing $18.39 million. Total net inflows into XRP ETF products have accumulated to $1.79 billion, while aggregate net assets stand at $1.77 billion. Technical resistance is positioned at $1.60 for XRP, while downside support remains intact around the $1.50 level based on four-hour chart analysis. XRP maintained trading activity in the $1.56 to $1.58 zone throughout the week, marking an approximate 10% increase compared to levels observed seven days prior. This upward movement aligned with a wider cryptocurrency market rebound, as Bitcoin sustained positions above the $84,000 threshold and Ethereum exchanged hands near $2,680.
XRP Price The price advance materialized following developments on the regulatory front. Earlier this month, the Senate declined to move forward with the CLARITY Act, resulting in the postponement of proposed cryptocurrency market regulations.
SEC staff released informal guidance on September 25 addressing topics including token repurchase programs, staking derivatives, network maintenance operations, and marketing communications. This guidance represents staff opinion without formal legal authority and does not provide direct classification of XRP.
Breakdown of SEC Staff Position According to the staff statement, repurchase programs involving tokens that are not securities on operational networks do not inherently indicate promised managerial contributions. Additionally, certain staking derivatives may be categorized as digital commodities instead of securities, contingent upon their issuance structure.
Standard protocol improvements and promotion of current network functionality may not fall within investment contract frameworks under this new staff position. Market analyst Crypto Rover highlighted the development on social platforms, noting that liquid staking instruments are receiving treatment as digital commodities rather than securities, and that token buybacks on operational protocols are not being interpreted as management-driven activities.
Prediction platform Kalshi positioned its September price projection for XRP at $1.70, representing a $0.10 increase from its previous estimate. The platform maintains an additional contract monitoring whether XRP surpasses $1.70 before September 30.
Exchange-Traded Fund Capital Flows According to data from SoSoValue, United States spot XRP exchange-traded funds registered $22.65 million in net capital inflows on September 25. Bitwise’s product dominated with $18.39 million, comprising roughly 81% of the day’s aggregate inflows.
Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ product contributed an additional $4.26 million. The remaining three listed investment vehicles reported zero net activity for that trading session.
These capital additions elevated total cumulative net inflows to $1.79 billion. Aggregate net assets across all products reached $1.77 billion, representing approximately 1.80% of XRP’s overall market capitalization.
Transaction volume across the five investment products totaled $57.75 million, with Bitwise responsible for $37.07 million of that figure. The previous day, September 24, witnessed $14.89 million in combined inflows following $23.17 million recorded on September 23.
As of September 23, Bitwise’s product held 401.42 million XRP tokens, reflecting an increase of 14.18 million tokens over a two-day period. According to the fund’s official documentation, this position carried a value of approximately $613.89 million.
Market analyst Ali Charts highlighted accumulation patterns among major holders, observing that whale addresses acquired over 470 million XRP across five days—approximately $724 million in value—while a reverse head-and-shoulders formation continues developing on the daily price chart.
XRP briefly reached $1.60 during the week before retreating to $1.5535 by 08:41 UTC on Saturday. Four-hour chart analysis reveals resistance positioned at $1.60, a threshold that has prevented additional upward movement across several recent attempts.
A confirmed close above the $1.60 level could establish momentum toward $1.65 initially, followed by $1.70. Support remains established near $1.50, a price point that provided stability following the September 23 trading session.
A break below $1.50 could potentially expose the $1.45 zone. The four-hour Relative Strength Index currently registers at 52, marginally above the neutral 50 threshold, while the MACD indicator remains below its signal line, suggesting diminishing near-term momentum.
XRP v červenci 2025 vystřelilo na nové historické maximum 3,65 USD po dohodě Ripple se SEC, která ukončila letitou právní nejistotu. Další růst má podpořit zájem o spotové ETF.
XRP soared to a new all-time high of $3.65 in July 2025, marking its strongest price performance in more than seven years. The digital asset surpassed its previous peak, fueled by the positive outcome of the regulatory battle between Ripple and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
SEC settlement boosts regulatory clarityRipple, a San Francisco-based blockchain payments company, reached a settlement with the SEC in 2025, resolving a lawsuit filed in 2020 over alleged securities violations related to XRP sales. The agreement ended years of legal uncertainty that had cast a shadow over XRP’s status in the US, clearing the path for broader adoption.
The settlement provided significant regulatory clarity for XRP and renewed confidence among investors. Following the resolution, trading volumes spiked and market sentiment turned strongly bullish, reflected in the asset’s sharp price appreciation.
XRP broke past its seven-year all-time high, climbing to $3.65 after the settlement, and investor enthusiasm surged with expectations of continued growth as regulatory barriers diminished.

Spot ETFs drive institutional interestThe launch of several XRP spot Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) played a pivotal role in XRP’s rapid price increase. ETFs have gained prominence in the cryptocurrency sector by providing institutional investors access to digital assets without the need to hold the underlying tokens directly.
Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) reached new record highs in 2025, a trend widely attributed to increased ETF inflows that brought greater capital from the traditional financial sector. Market participants now expect XRP to experience a similar effect as ETF inflows accelerate.
As broader market conditions improve, analysts anticipate that institutional demand for XRP via ETFs could rise sharply. Such inflows could provide the foundation for sustained price growth.
Once ETF inflows into XRP gather pace, many expect a significant price rally, mirroring patterns seen with Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Analysts eye $10 target amid Bitcoin forecastsSome market analysts have begun speculating on XRP’s potential to reach $10, arguing that this target could be more attainable as momentum builds. Observers point to similarities between XRP’s price structure and Bitcoin’s four-year cycle, where BTC has historically achieved new highs every four years—most recently in 2021 and 2025.
Projections for Bitcoin’s next peak in 2029, with some forecasters setting targets as high as $500,000, have amplified bullish sentiment for other major cryptocurrencies. A continued BTC rally, particularly if ETF-driven, could increase capital rotation into XRP and help propel it to new levels ahead of the next cycle peak.
Some analysts believe that if the anticipated market uptrend develops as expected, XRP could begin its next rally as early as late 2026 or early 2027, rather than waiting until 2029 for a new record.

PANews reported on September 26, citing CoinDesk, that the Bitget hacker has moved roughly $83 million worth of XRP from three stolen XRP-holding addresses. Of the approximately 103 million XRP originally stolen, about $75 million remains spread across five initial receiving addresses. On-chain data shows that two of the addresses, which each originally held 20 million XRP, have been nearly emptied, with only about 23 and 55 XRP respectively remaining as of 12:41 UTC on Saturday, while the third address's balance has dropped to roughly 5.8 million XRP.
Because XRP is the native asset of the XRP Ledger, Ripple cannot directly freeze the stolen XRP the way it can freeze issuer tokens such as USDC and USDT. Recovering the funds depends in part on where the hacker moves them next; if they enter an exchange, the exchange can restrict the relevant accounts and withdrawals, but it cannot directly freeze XRP held in the hacker's own wallets. Around 54 million XRP has now left the initial five addresses, and the funds are being further dispersed across more wallets, though it is not yet possible to determine how much of it has been sold.
Earlier, Circle and Tether froze roughly $320,000 worth of USDC and USDT linked to the attack. On Friday, Bitget raised its estimate of the attack's losses to about $387.5 million, saying the additional figure includes Zcash and TRON transfers that were previously omitted from its tally, rather than a second attack. Bitget also said its protection fund will cover the losses and that user balances will not be affected, with withdrawals of BTC, ETH, USDT and other tokens expected to resume on September 28, September 29, September 30 and October 2, respectively.
ACI Worldwide aktivovala podporu XRP jako vypořádací možnost v rámci nové iniciativy víceřetězcové účetní knihy SWIFT. XRP Ledger se tak stal uznávanou platební cestou v její globální infrastruktuře.
ACI Worldwide, a leading provider of real-time electronic payment and banking solutions, has activated support for XRP as a settlement option in accordance with SWIFT’s new multi-chain ledger initiative. This development makes XRP Ledger a recognized payment rail within ACI’s global infrastructure.
ACI Worldwide’s key role in SWIFT integrationACI Worldwide processes approximately 9% of SWIFT’s global payment traffic, representing an annualized payment volume of $155 trillion. The company’s adoption of real-time payment offerings ensures that solutions based on the XRP Ledger could reach a significant portion of cross-border payment flows.
The integration is possible because Ripple’s technology is compatible with ISO 20022, SWIFT’s new global messaging standard that is being adopted by financial institutions around the world. ISO 20022 is seen as a critical step in advancing interoperability and modernization of banking infrastructure.
SWIFT, a cooperative founded in 1973 that provides secure financial messaging services for over 11,000 institutions, has been expanding its engagement with distributed ledger technology (DLT) providers like Ripple to facilitate broader interoperability between traditional finance and blockchain networks.
Recent developments highlight a shift in the relationship between Ripple and SWIFT. Once perceived as direct competitors, the two entities are now increasingly seen as complementary. Ripple provides settlement and liquidity solutions that can enhance SWIFT’s existing infrastructure, rather than seeking to replace it entirely.
Mini dictionary: ISO 20022 is an international messaging standard for payments, designed to improve data quality and interoperability across financial networks. It enables richer and more consistent information sharing between banks and other payment systems.
XRP Ledger’s on-demand liquidity advantageThe XRP Ledger’s On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) service allows banks and payment providers to use XRP as a bridge currency for cross-border settlements. By leveraging ODL, financial institutions can convert local fiat money into XRP, send it instantly across borders, and convert it back to the local currency on the receiving end. This setup offers faster and more affordable international payments compared to traditional systems.
With ISO 20022 compatibility, banks using SWIFT’s upgraded messaging standards can now directly employ XRP for settlement, allowing rapid conversion between digital and fiat currencies.
In 2025, Ripple acquired GTreasury, a firm specializing in treasury management software, further enhancing its integration with the SWIFT network. The GTreasury platform now supports SWIFT messaging, reference data services such as SWIFTRef for IBAN and ABA look-ups, and digital asset accounts, including support for XRP and RLUSD.
This integration enables corporate treasury departments to handle both traditional SWIFT flows and cryptocurrency assets within a unified system. Although there is no fixed guarantee that every transaction will use Ripple’s technology stack, ACI’s move positions DLT-based solutions with native ISO 20022 compatibility at a distinct advantage in the evolving payments landscape.
These developments underline the increasing adoption of blockchain technology within mainstream financial infrastructure, as global players seek more efficient, interoperable, and cost-effective cross-border payment solutions.
Pět spotových XRP ETF zaznamenalo třetí den po sobě milionové čisté přílivy a tento týden už přidalo 53 milionů USD. Spravovaná aktiva vzrostla na zhruba 1,7 miliardy USD.
The five spot $XRP exchange-traded funds tracked by @BSCNews have posted multi-million dollar net inflows for three consecutive days, bringing the week's total gains to $53 million. Total assets under management across the funds have climbed to around $1.7 billion, representing approximately 1.8% of XRP's circulating supply.
A Rapid Build in Institutional Capital The milestone sits within a broader story of accelerating institutional interest in regulated XRP products.
The current week's $53 million in net inflows continues a pattern of steady institutional demand.

Bitget oznámil bezpečnostní incident za zhruba 351,6 milionu USD; největší položkou bylo 102,93 milionu XRP v hodnotě 157,48 milionu USD. Burza dočasně pozastavila výběry.
Bitget disclosed a security breach affecting approximately $351.6 million on September 24, 2026.
A subsequent breakdown from Lookonchain identified 102.93 million XRP worth $157.48 million as the largest component of the stolen assets.
CEO Gracy Chen said Bitget detected unauthorized transfers at 18:31 UTC and immediately activated its emergency response protocols. The exchange temporarily suspended withdrawals pending a security review.
XRP Leads the Stolen Asset Breakdown Lookonchain’s asset breakdown listed nine cryptocurrencies and tokens, including XRP, ETH, stablecoins, and tokenized gold:
The itemized total is approximately $5.26 million higher than Bitget’s initial $351.6 million estimate. The initial security notice and asset breakdown did not explain the difference. XRP represents approximately 44.1% of the itemized total.
Attacker Converts Funds Into 67,982 ETH Lookonchain reported that the attacker had swapped most of the stolen assets on Ethereum-compatible networks into 67,982 ETH, valued at approximately $183 million. The conversion figure concerns assets on those networks, rather than establishing that the stolen XRP was exchanged for ETH.
Arkham’s portfolio snapshot grouped 22 addresses under its “Bitget Hacker” label, with combined holdings valued at approximately $188.93 million. Alongside the ETH balance, it listed roughly 5,897 BNB worth $4.58 million and 495.625 wrapped ETH worth $1.33 million. Those figures describe tracked holdings at the snapshot, not an additional loss on top of the original theft.
Bitget Says Protection Fund Covers the Loss In its initial notice, Bitget said the affected amount fell within the coverage of its User Protection Fund, which it valued at more than $464 million.

Chen said customer balances remained protected and deposits and trading continued operating while withdrawals were paused.
The exchange also said it had identified and flagged abnormal transfer addresses, notified law enforcement, and engaged blockchain security firms. It committed to publishing a full incident report, including the cause and corrective measures, within 24 hours.
Ripple spustil XRPL AI Starter Kit pro platby mezi autonomními agenty přes x402 v XRP nebo RLUSD. RLUSD má nabídnout stabilní dolarové zúčtování pro mikroplatby a platby přes API.
Ripple has introduced the XRPL AI Starter Kit, aiming to facilitate payments between autonomous software agents using x402 payment protocols. This solution allows transactions to be conducted in either XRP, Ripple’s digital asset, or RLUSD, its new stablecoin pegged to the US dollar. The move addresses growing demand for seamless, automated financial interactions as machine-to-machine payments evolve into practical tools beyond initial trials.
Stablecoin RLUSD offers fixed-price certainty for AI agentsAI agents are increasingly making frequent, small purchases, such as spending $0.10 per inference thousands of times each day. For these microtransactions, stable pricing is essential to both buyers and sellers. RLUSD, designed to maintain a one-to-one peg with the US dollar and backed by cash reserves, offers the predictability needed for invoicing, subscriptions, and API payments.
Ripple maintains that RLUSD’s backing by cash and equivalents ensures price stability, allowing AI agents and developers to transact without worrying about value fluctuations typically associated with cryptocurrencies like XRP.
The XRPL documentation demonstrates this distinction, highlighting XRP as the simplest native on-chain payment method, while RLUSD is used for transactions requiring a dollar-denominated value. Both assets settle over XRPL, but serve different transactional needs.
Recent documentation distinguishes XRP payments as the straightforward native method on XRPL, whereas RLUSD is labeled for dollar-based transactions. Both benefit from deterministic settlement on the same network.
Growth in machine-to-machine commerce through AI payments could drive increased XRPL activity. Ripple emphasizes that RLUSD enables these transactions without exposing users to the risk of XRP price volatility.
XRP’s role as XRPL’s native asset remains significantWhile RLUSD meets stable-value needs, XRP’s utility within XRPL is not diminished. XRP is the protocol’s native asset, streamlining direct value transfers across the ledger. RLUSD, in contrast, is an issued token representing a stable digital dollar.
One key feature of XRPL is its support for cross-currency transactions. This allows an agent to send value in XRP, with the recipient receiving RLUSD—or vice versa—utilizing the network’s built-in exchange functions.
This flexibility enables two autonomous agents to transact without having to agree on holding the same asset. For example, a service provider preferring RLUSD can still receive payments from clients holding only XRP. XRPL documentation highlights direct XRP payments as the quickest and most straightforward settlement path for such transactions.
The infrastructure supporting machine payments is expanding. The community-led XRPL AI Hub has indexed more than 7.25 million agent-payment transactions, and records average daily activity of roughly 181,000 payments. These figures reflect organic engagement with the emerging agent-payment ecosystem and signal increasing relevance for both assets in automated commerce.

Doppler Finance, a platform offering yield products for XRP holders, has announced that its XDP token will go live on September 28, 2026.
The project disclosed the date in an announcement on X, stating: “September 28, 2026. $XDP goes live.” It described the token as built for the capital markets of the tokenized era.

XDP Utility and Token Distribution Doppler formally introduced XDP on August 26. According to the project, users will be able to stake the token to become eligible for selected benefits, potentially including advanced vault strategies, priority access to new products and ecosystem campaigns.
Broader governance remains subject to implementation. Planned decision-making areas include protocol parameters, treasury initiatives, and incentive budgets. A separate Safety Module is intended for a future phase, allowing eligible participants to commit staked XDP to coverage pools while accepting defined risks in exchange for potential incentives.
According to Doppler Finance, XDP has a fixed total supply of 10 billion tokens. Of this amount, 43%—or 4.3 billion XDP—is allocated to ecosystem development and incentives, while 1%, or 100 million XDP, is reserved for the Genesis Airdrop.
Doppler finace token supply and distribution The project’s airdrop announcement states that eligible recipients’ allocations will be fully unlocked at the token generation event. Eligibility covers qualifying participants from Doppler Points Seasons 1 and 2, alongside other activities meeting the program’s criteria.
XRP Ledger and Base Deployment Plans Doppler outlined its cross-chain token plans in July, saying XDP would be deployed across both Base and the XRP Ledger. However, it specified that governance would initially launch on Base before expanding to the XRP Ledger ecosystem. Eligible airdrop participants were consequently required to register a Base wallet address.
That distinction means the announced token launch should not be read as confirmation that every planned XRP Ledger integration or governance feature will be available immediately. Doppler’s published roadmap separates initial token utility from subsequent governance and safety functions.
The Genesis Airdrop registration window has already closed. Doppler set the deadline for July 30 at 12:00 p.m. UTC and subsequently confirmed that registration had ended. Its program rules also state that submitting a wallet address does not, by itself, guarantee an allocation.
XRP Yield Products Anchor Doppler’s Expansion Doppler’s existing XRP Vault accepts deposits directly from the XRP Ledger and offers returns denominated in XRP. Its documentation states that the vault currently generates yield through strategies involving institutional custody and selected centralized platforms, rather than on-chain yield strategies. The project also identifies custody, counterparty, and market risks, including potential losses.
The XDP launch announcement follows two expansion initiatives disclosed in July.
On July 13, Doppler announced a strategic partnership with SBI Digital Finance to develop institutional XRP finance in Japan. The companies outlined cooperation on XRP and digital-asset infrastructure, institutional products, and tokenized financial services.
On July 29, Doppler announced plans to extend its infrastructure to Base, initially focusing on Coinbase Wrapped XRP, or cbXRP. The project described that expansion as a phased rollout, with additional tokenized assets and product details to follow.
XRP za posledních 24 hodin klesl o 7,32 % na 1,50 USD, zatímco spotové XRP ETF v září přilákaly čisté přílivy 61,87 milionu USD a celkem 1,73 miliardy USD.
XRP continues to experience a divergence between market price performance and institutional product inflows, with the latest data highlighting significant increased investment in XRP exchange-traded funds. Despite a recent price decline, interest from institutional investors remains steady, further spotlighting XRP’s evolving position in the digital asset market.
Institutional inflows rise despite XRP price weaknessData from crypto market analyst X Finance Bull shows that spot XRP ETFs have recorded $61.87 million in net inflows in September. Total cumulative inflows to date have reached $1.73 billion. This robust investment activity persists even as the value of XRP faces increased selling pressure and price corrections.
Investor demand for XRP-backed products has continued regardless of weak spot prices. While ETF inflows often reflect positive sentiment from institutional players, they do not always correspond with immediate price recoveries.
The current gap between strong ETF inflows and XRP’s falling spot price has drawn the attention of analysts and traders alike. At present, XRP is trading at $1.50, with a 24-hour trading volume of $7.05 billion and a market capitalization standing at $94.53 billion. Over the last 24 hours, XRP’s price has declined by 7.32%.

According to CRYPTOWZRD, reclaiming this resistance could help XRP regain momentum, but continued failure to break above $1.5300 may lead to heightened volatility.
On the support side, CRYPTOWZRD identified $1.4400 as an important level. Should XRP maintain this support, it could begin to stabilize; however, dropping below $1.4400 might trigger further selling pressure.
X Finance Bull emphasized that increased ETF inflows are still visible even as technical indicators remain negative for spot prices. CRYPTOWZRD highlighted that the $1.5300 resistance and $1.4400 support are crucial thresholds for XRP’s upcoming price action.
At the current price of $1.50, XRP remains between these two technical levels, with traders closely monitoring for a potential breakout or breakdown.
CFTC advances crypto regulation initiativesIn the regulatory arena, Michael Selig, chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), stated that the agency is using its existing authority to establish a comprehensive regulatory framework for crypto assets in the United States. Selig underscored the CFTC’s commitment to shaping new rules for the digital asset industry, following calls from the White House for clearer guidelines.
The CFTC’s latest initiatives could have wide implications for crypto exchanges, financial products, and the broader digital asset ecosystem. Regulatory clarity remains significant for the XRP market, particularly given growing institutional participation through spot ETFs.
Ripple’s XRP, launched in 2012, is a digital asset designed for fast cross-border payments and is at the center of both market innovation and ongoing legal scrutiny.

Aktualizace XRP Ledgeru PermissionDelegationV1_1 běží v 14denním odpočtu od 21. září a při podpoře asi 29 z 35 důvěryhodných validátorů se může 5. října aktivovat. XLS-65 a XLS-66 zatím čekají na souhlas validátorů.
Ripple’s XRP Ledger has two big upgrades in motion!
One is almost live. The other still needs votes. Here’s what you need to know.
PermissionDelegationV1_1 to go live on October 5? PermissionDelegationV1_1 started a 14-day activation countdown on September 21. About 29 of the 35 trusted validators are backing it.
If it gets 80% support or higher, it will go live on October 5, according to the live amendment dashboard.
But if it drops below 28 validators, then the whole situation changes.
Source: XRPL Dashboard But what is it about? Splitting authority by job; the same way banks already separate payments from compliance. A stablecoin issuer could let an online compliance system approve token holders while its master keys stay offline. An operations account could send payments, but it could not change keys or grant access to anyone else.
Each delegate gets up to 10 permissions, and this can be edited or revoked anytime.
This is the second time it is being tried.
The first version checked permissions before signatures, but some failed transactions still charged fees. An attacker could have spammed high-fee submissions, and this will allow them to drain someone’s XRP. A community tester caught it on September 15, and this led to validators rejecting it, and because of this, it did not go live.
The fix for this was to ship in xrpld 3.3.0, and this verifies signatures before any fee is charged.
More XRP Ledger updates… XLS-65 and XLS-66 still need over 80% validator support for two straight weeks.
XLS-65 brings Single Asset Vaults, which allow users to pool one asset and get shares in return for it. XLS-66 uses those vaults for fixed-term loans. The underwriting process happens off-chain, while loan creation, repayments, and defaults will be on-chain.
Source: X There are no automatic liquidations, which makes it a better fit for business loans and working capital. The LendingProtocolV1_1 design also includes several other features:
Closed-ended vaults with fixed subscription, investment, and redemption windows. Cash-basis accounting, meaning interest counts only once it’s actually paid. Optional first-loss capital from brokers to absorb part of a default. Judging borrower risk will be left to outside underwriters and the market.
Final Summary The XRP Ledger’s PermissionDelegationV1_1 could activate on October 5. XLS-65 and XLS-66 are pending validator approval.
Klienti Bitwise a Franklin Templeton nakoupili XRP za 18,04 milionu USD, což dál posiluje zájem o spotové XRP ETF. Bitwise přidal 11,54 milionu USD a Franklin 6,50 milionu USD.
Bitwise and Franklin Templeton ETF clients have acquired $18.04 million worth of XRP, according to WhaleInsider. This purchase adds to the growing interest in XRP ETFs, with Bitwise clients contributing $11.54 million and Franklin clients adding $6.50 million. In major XRP news today, Binance crypto exchange extended its support for the coin and Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin on Thursday. The world’s largest crypto exchange will airdrop XRP coins to RLUSD holders, significantly boosting RLUSD market cap further and strengthening ties between companies.
Binance Announces XRP Rewards for All RLUSD Holders Binance, the crypto exchange founded by CZ, is launching a four-week airdrop campaign starting September 25 that will distribute $800,000 worth of XRP to users who hold Ripple USD (RLUSD).
Compared with the earlier XRP rewards launch, the exchange will now allow all users across Spot, Funding, Earn, and Margin accounts to earn XRP payouts every Friday until October 23. Users will get additional rewards for growing RLUSD holdings or parking funds in RLUSD Simple Earn.
However, Binance announced a 60% haircut for RLUSD acquired through borrowing other stablecoins in Margin. The exchange will account for liabilities in Margin Accounts from other stablecoins, including USDT, USDC, U, USD1, and FDUSD.
Eligibility and How Rewards Are Calculated Users become eligible by holding a RLUSD stablecoin balance of at least 0.01 in the above-mentioned accounts. Snapshots are taken hourly, with the lowest daily balance becoming that day’s qualifying balance. Weekly XRP rewards use a 7-day average of the qualifying balance multiplied by an effective APR that Binance will publish each Friday.
“Sub-account balances are aggregated at the Master Account level for calculation, and rewards are distributed only to the Master Account. For Broker accounts, the rewards will be distributed to virtual sub-accounts,” stated Binance.
There is no individual cap and each user’s share depends on their qualifying balance relative to the whole pool. Restricted accounts and users in listed jurisdictions, including the US, UK, EU countries, Canada, and others, are excluded.
Binance Pushing RLUSD Market Cap and XRP Price Higher RLUSD stablecoin’s market cap has surged from $1.51 billion since Binance launched the XRP rewards campaign to almost $2.45 billion. RLUSD market cap is $2.37 billion today.
In recent news, Ripple integrated XRP and RLUSD stablecoin support for AI agent payments on Stripe and Tempo’s Machine Payments Protocol.
Meanwhile, XRP pared earlier gains and fell 6% ahead of monthly crypto options expiry. Price is currently trading at $1.51 after dropping from the 24-hour high of $1.64. Trading volume has also fallen 18% over the past 24 hours.
XRP Futures Open Interest. Source: Coinglass CoinGlass data showed buying activity in the derivatives market in the last few hours. The total XRP futures open interest fell nearly 9% to $3.60 billion in the last 24 hours. However, the 4-hour XRP futures OI climbed 1.26%, with 1.51% on CME and 1.07% on Binance.
As CoinGape reported, XRP surpassed Hyperliquid and Zcash in futures open interest amid massive buying on derivatives exchanges CME and Binance. Analysts have predicted a massive upcoming XRP price rally.
Traders looking to take advantage of these market swings can evaluate the features and fee structures of the best crypto futures trading platforms.
Ripple [XRP] has not managed to close a day’s trading above $1.544 since early February. Throughout 2026, the bulls have tried to force such a breakout four times, with the latest attempt coming on the 22nd of August.
They were pushed back each time, but the bullish belief in recent weeks has helped XRP push past this level. A daily session close above $1.544 was achieved on Tuesday, the 22nd of September.
Strong speculative activity underlines XRP enthusiasm Source: CryptoQuant Crypto analyst Darkfost observed that the XRP’s Open Interest witnessed a growth spurt, reaching $600 million on Binance, the highest level since January. It is a genuine trend shift that began alongside the price gains in August.
The 180-day moving average of OI was at $445 million, and the breakout past this significant OI underlined the speculative growth and bullish confidence in the altcoin.
However, swing traders should remember that excess leverage can lead to high volatility and swift corrections.
Network activity surge shows active whale participation A week ago, popular crypto analyst Ali Martinez had warned in a post on X that whales were accumulating XRP. Whale activity had increased noticeably, and large holders had accumulated around $2.2 billion worth of XRP in a span of four days.
Source: Santiment Santiment data agreed with these findings. There were 1,917 $100k+ whale transactions when XRP broke above the $1.60 mark. Network growth also spiked to 3,647 new XRP wallets.
Institutional access was also improving the odds of a constructive setup, Santiment noted. Bitwise filed a revised XRP spot ETF registration on the 18th of September.
Sosovalue data showed that spot XRP ETFs attracted inflows for most of September. Additionally, Bitcoin’s breakout past $82.8k had given altcoin market participants more bullish conviction, increasing the chances of a sustained rally.
Final Summary The XRP breakout past the $1.50 supply zone from February was a notable achievement from the bulls that can spark a sustained uptrend. Rising whale activity and heavy Open Interest underlined bullish conviction but also warned of potential volatility if conditions get overheated.
XRP price pulled back to about $1.51 on Sep. 23 after briefly rising above $1.65, leaving $1.60 as the first price level to reclaim while the XRP Ledger’s native lending proposals remain in validator voting.
Summary
XRP price reached $1.6581 during the daily session before retreating to about $1.51. XLS-65 and XLS-66 would add pooled vaults and fixed-term lending directly to the XRP Ledger. Neither lending amendment has activated on mainnet; each needs sustained validator support. XRP remained above its 20-day moving average near $1.40, though money flow was negative. XRPL Commons describes the proposed system as a way to bring pooled lending onto the XRP Ledger without deploying separate smart contracts. The plan depends on two amendments: XLS-65 would create Single Asset Vaults, while XLS-66 would let loan brokers use funds in those vaults for fixed-term credit. Both remain subject to validator approval.
XRP Ledger lending still needs validator approval A Single Asset Vault would hold one type of asset, such as XRP, RLUSD, or another supported token. Depositors would receive shares representing their portion of the vault. Loan brokers could then arrange loans using the pooled funds, with the ledger recording terms, payments, and defaults.
The proposed system would leave borrower checks and lending decisions to the firms operating the loans. It also allows a broker to provide first-loss capital, which could absorb part of a default. Neither feature removes the risk that a borrower fails to repay or that depositors lose money.
A further amendment, LendingProtocolV1_1, would add vaults with set periods for deposits, lending and withdrawals. It would also count interest as income only when a borrower pays it. As crypto.news reported on the XRP Ledger’s 3.4.0 software release, adding those rules to server software did not activate them on mainnet.
The approval process matters more than the software release for timing. XRP Ledger amendments need support from more than 80% of trusted validators for two consecutive weeks before activation. XLS-65 and XLS-66 have yet to complete that process, so native lending has no confirmed mainnet start date.
Would lending create demand for XRP? A lending launch would give developers and financial firms another reason to use the XRP Ledger, but the size of any effect on XRP would depend on which assets they lend. An XRP-funded vault would use XRP as its lending asset. A vault funded with RLUSD or another issued token would use that asset for its loans, while XRP would retain its role in network fees and account reserves.
That distinction is relevant to the planned RLUSD credit product previously covered by crypto.news. The product was being tested for working-capital loans to fintech and payment companies, with RLUSD rather than XRP serving as the credit asset. Its development shows a possible use for the lending rules, but it does not establish how much XRP borrowers or lenders would need to buy.
For U.S. holders watching the proposal, validator approval and actual use of the lending system are separate milestones. A vote could make the feature available; subsequent vault deposits and loans would show whether firms adopt it and whether XRP itself becomes a material lending asset.
XRP price faces another test near $1.60 XRP’s daily trading range shows why $1.60 remains the immediate test. The token opened near $1.57, reached $1.6581, and fell as low as $1.5070 before trading around $1.51 in the Sep. 23 chart snapshot. A move back above $1.60 would put the day’s high near $1.66 in view. The previous September spike near $1.70 marks the next visible area above it.
XRP price daily chart — Sep. 23 | Source: crypto.news On the downside, the 20-day simple moving average near $1.40 sits below the current price. The chart also shows moving averages clustered around $1.28–$1.29. A loss of $1.40 would weaken the recent rebound and bring that lower area back into focus.
The 20-day Chaikin Money Flow reading stood at −0.09, indicating that buying pressure had not strengthened alongside the latest rise. XRP can still retest resistance, but the intraday retreat and negative money-flow reading leave the $1.60 break unconfirmed. The validator vote offers a development to watch; the chart has yet to show that it will carry XRP through resistance.

The XRP Ledger has witnessed a sudden surge in its burn rate, recording an 84.3% jump within a single measured period. This brought total XRP destroyed via transaction fees to 771.7 XRP, sharply catching the attention of market observers and the XRP community.
Analysts and data highlight the burn rate spikeCrypto analyst Steph Is Crypto called attention to the event, urging the XRP community to investigate further. The burned tokens represent transaction fees permanently destroyed on the XRP Ledger, a decentralized network designed for fast, low-cost cross-border payments. While the token burn typically reflects network activity, the latest data reveals an unusual dynamic.
Despite the steep increase in the burn rate, overall network transactions declined during the same timeframe. The number of successful transactions dropped 6.5%, total transactions fell 5.6%, and payment operations slipped 7%. These figures suggest that the higher burn resulted not from more activity, but from higher fee expenditure per transaction.
Crypto analyst Steph Is Crypto noted that XRP’s burn rate surged 84.3% even as transaction volume cooled off, highlighting a sharp divergence between fee destruction and overall network activity.
The XRP Ledger’s unique fee system aims to limit spam and protect network performance, by requiring a small amount of XRP to be destroyed with every operation.
Mini dictionary: XRP Ledger (XRPL), a decentralized blockchain network designed for efficient cross-border payments and powered by the XRP cryptocurrency. The ledger employs a distinctive consensus protocol and burns small amounts of XRP through transaction fees to deter spam.
MetricChange (%)Current ValueBurn rate+84.3%771.7 XRPSuccessful transactions-6.5%N/ATotal transactions-5.6%N/APayments-7%N/ABurn normalization and previous surgesThe surge proved temporary. After peaking at 771.7 XRP burned, the rate quickly dropped back toward the ledger’s 30-day average, which stands at around 319 XRP. Data shows recent readings now hover just above this average.
A similar episode occurred earlier in the year, when the XRP Ledger recorded a milestone of 1,800 XRP burned in a single instance. Such bursts in burn rate, while impactful, tend to normalize swiftly, suggesting short-lived underlying drivers.
Community debates drivers and implicationsWithin the XRP community, members have voiced a range of explanations and potential implications for this latest spike. Some participants argued for increased burns as a means to heighten scarcity, which they believe could exert upward price pressure as circulating supply drops further. The reduction of available tokens, a common topic among XRP supporters, is often mentioned as part of longer-term deflationary dynamics.
Discussions in the community point to both the role of deflation in supporting price and the impact of increased transaction costs driving higher network engagement statistics.
Another segment of the community argued that surges in burning often reflect genuine demand and heightened adoption. Since higher transaction fees mean more XRP is destroyed per operation, some see the burn spike as a sign of more intensive network use by real participants, rather than automated or speculative activity.
Overall, these perspectives suggest that an increased burn rate provides data for assessing the health and real-world engagement within the network, beyond simple price speculation.
Function of burns and outlook for growthThe XRP Ledger’s burn mechanism is central to its approach to curbing spam on the network. Each transaction requires users to pay a fee, which is then irreversibly destroyed. Although recent burn figures remain small compared to XRP’s total supply, activity in this metric tends to signal patterns in network usage and adoption. As usage grows, periodic surges in burned tokens are likely to remain a topic of community and market interest.

The D’CENT app wallet drain has continued into its seventh day, with another XRP community member losing more than $100,000 in XRP and XLM.
The most recent case follows an earlier report that confirmed the attackers had initially drained 2 million XRP during the Sept. 15 event, with further investigation now uncovering more victims.
The latest victim lost funds on both the Stellar blockchain and the XRP Ledger (XRPL).
On Stellar, the victim’s address, GDTO…E356, was triggered to create the account GAVT…37GU at 03:38 UTC on Sept. 23 and send 17,244 XLM, worth more than $3,600, to it. Notably, the attackers controlled the newly created account.
About four hours after receiving the XLM, the hackers moved the tokens to Changelly. However, the Stellar transaction made up only a small part of the victim’s total loss, as most of the stolen funds came from his XRP holdings.
More Than 75,000 XRP Drained On the XRPL, the victim’s XRP account, rU6m…Ppcc, was triggered to create the attacker-controlled account rLbQ…SiPc at 04:36 UTC on Sept. 23. The victim’s account then sent 72,521 XRP, worth more than $117,000, to the hacker-controlled wallet.
Around 30 minutes later, the attackers took another 2,488 XRP, worth about $4,000, leaving the victim’s wallet empty. The attackers moved the roughly 75,000 XRP to two different wallets about five hours after receiving the funds.
The stolen XRP later moved through several transactions, with some of the funds eventually reaching Binance. As the latest attack happened only hours before this report, the transactions show that the attackers have continued to actively target and drain wallets.
Attack Began With 1,682 XRPL Wallets The broader drain campaign started on Sept. 15, 2026, when attackers emptied 1,682 XRP Ledger wallets between 15:35 and 18:55 UTC. The stolen funds went to seven addresses and marked the first wave of six identified in the campaign.
By the evening of Sept. 20, the same operator had continued the attack using the same script and the same by-hand tool. By then, the attackers had emptied 6,678 wallets and taken a total of 11.7 million XRP.
The attackers also deleted 5,001 accounts, most of which had already been emptied. They recovered the reserve held by each deleted account and later swapped 5.6 million XRP for Ethereum.
D’CENT has responded by telling users of its app wallets to move all their assets out of the wallets. The latest victim’s losses confirm that the campaign has continued well beyond its initial activity on Sept. 15.
XRP intradenně vystřelil na 1,60 USD při objemu kolem 7,4 miliardy USD. Na CME fondy snížily čisté shorty o 46,3 milionu XRP, zatímco Coinbase zůstává silně short.
XRP tagged an intraday high of $1.60 on September 22, with reported trading volume near $7.4 billion. The tape looks like a short squeeze.
The regulated XRP futures books, however, tell a more divided story.
Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) data for the week ended September 15 shows leveraged funds cutting their CME net short by 46.3 million XRP.
CME Deleverages While Coinbase Books Stay Heavily Short On CME’s standard XRP futures contract (50,000 XRP per contract), leveraged funds moved from a net short of 82.25 million XRP on September 8 to 35.95 million XRP on September 15.
That is a 46.3 million XRP reduction. Most of it came from covering shorts, with some new longs added.
CME open interest still fell by about 25.45 million XRP, pointing to risk coming off rather than a clean rotation into new longs.
That institutional shift on CME comes after CME overtook Binance as the largest XRP futures venue by open interest in early September, with CME open interest nearing $530 million versus Binance’s $510 million.
That repositioning is the backdrop that makes a CME shortcut capable of moving price psychology, even when Coinbase books barely moved.
August already set the stage for this as XRP futures volume surged to a six-month high, with Binance alone printing $37 billion and the top three venues clearing more than $64.6 billion.
High derivatives volume plus a later venue split is a volatility setup, not a clean trend confirmation.
Coinbase tells the other half of the story. Its standard XRP futures book improved slightly, down 3.65 million XRP in net short exposure.
But the nano perpetual-style product actually added short exposure by 1.29 million XRP.
Combined across all three Coinbase products, leveraged funds were still short roughly 141.6 million XRP. That is the inventory overhang investors need to keep on the page.
This is not the first time the XRP futures market has sent mixed signals. On September 19, XRP spot volume exploded to $1.36 billion as price jumped 7% to $1.41, with futures running at roughly four times spot volume at $5.71 billion.
That same futures-over-spot imbalance is still present after the $1.60 test.
Crowded positioning has proven it can flush both directions. XRP leverage hit a seven-month high of 0.213 after a 44% rally, with open interest near $3.4 billion and longs outnumbering shorts. The market cleared that positioning too.
A crowded short base is not automatically a clean entry, it depends on which venue is moving.
What Investors Should Watch Into the Next CFTC Print The $1.60 level was already mapped before this session. Peter Brandt flagged a longer-cycle path toward $5 while Ali Martinez marked $1.60 as a key supply shelf, with about 2.50 billion XRP previously changing hands at that price.
A high-volume print through it is notable. But supply zones are tested, not retired on the first touch.
The structural bid is real. Spot XRP ETFs have taken in more than $1.7 billion in cumulative net inflows, which gives the rally a layer of institutional wrapper support that prior cycles did not have.
That is a meaningful counterweight to the futures split. Yet the sell-side inventory is building in parallel. XRP whale inflows to Binance hit 1.6 billion tokens over 30 days, the highest since March.
Exchange reserves rising alongside price is a volatility flag, not proof of an imminent dump, but a counterweight to the ETF bid.
The regulatory layer adds more complexity as CME recently sued the CFTC after Kalshi launched Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, and HYPE perpetual futures.
That dispute matters for how institutional books are allocated across US-regulated XRP futures venues going forward.
The data predates the rally. It cannot establish cause. The next CFTC print, covering the week through the $1.60 spike, is due around September 25.
That is the first report that can test whether CME covering continued, whether Coinbase shorts started to compress, or whether the venue split widened.

Quick Take 1. XRP trades at $1.5358, up 4.40% on the day and 11.07% on the week, roughly 54% above the $1.00 level this site covered on August 11 as the only support its buyers had defended all year.
2. Analyst Egrag Crypto identifies $1.49 to $1.54 as the decisive resistance band, with specific levels at $1.4923, $1.5114 and $1.5436, meaning price is inside the zone that decides the next move.
3. The structural headwind is unchanged: Ripple releases 1 billion XRP from escrow monthly and re-escrows 600 to 800 million, putting 200 to 400 million into circulation against ETF absorption of roughly 109 million.
XRP has recovered more than half its value since August. It trades at $1.5358, up 4.40% over 24 hours and 11.07% on the week, with the broader market also higher and 60 of the QC 100 constituents advancing.
Live price data via CoinGecko.
Did the $1 level hold? Yes, and it was the level this site said would decide everything.
On August 11 we published an article with XRP sitting at exactly $1.00, noting it was the single level buyers had successfully defended all year while everything above it had broken, including the $1.11 line we mapped on July 7 and watched fail the next day. The argument then was that when a market has one line left that has never failed, the line stops being support and becomes a referendum.
The referendum went to the buyers. XRP is now roughly 54% above that price and 38% above the $1.11 level that broke in July.
Two things from that article deserve revisiting because they were caveats rather than calls. We flagged that XRP had closed August red four years running, its longest active monthly losing streak, and attributed the midterm-year pattern to analyst ChartNerd while stating plainly that three observations is an anecdote with a spreadsheet rather than a data set. August 2026 broke the streak. The seasonality caveat was correct to include and correct to doubt.
Why is XRP rising? ETF demand that finally reached scale, corporate treasuries, and a market-wide rally.
US spot XRP ETFs recorded $110.49 million in net inflows in the week ending August 28, crossing $100 million weekly for the first time since the week ending December 5, 2025, with roughly $150 million across August and about $170 million over eleven days. Daily flow tables are published at Farside Investors and SoSoValue.
Composition matters here. Retail accounts for close to 84% of XRP ETF inflows, meaning the institutional capital that would produce far larger numbers has largely stayed on the sidelines pending regulatory clarity. Goldman Sachs was the largest holder among reporting firms in Q2 filings with about $87.45 million in XRP ETF exposure, which is a real position and a small one.
On the corporate side, Evernorth and other public companies are building XRP treasury strategies. This site first noted Evernorth’s Nasdaq-listed SPAC merger progress in August, when a mundane filing showed the deal had not collapsed.
What is the escrow problem? Ripple puts more XRP into circulation each month than the entire ETF complex absorbs, and that has not changed with the price.
Ripple releases 1 billion XRP from escrow monthly and re-escrows between 600 and 800 million, so 200 to 400 million enters circulation. Escrow transactions are verifiable on the XRP Ledger explorer. ETF absorption has run near 109 million XRP per month. That is between 1.8 and 3.7 times more new supply than institutional demand removes.
Escrow is a mechanism that locks tokens under a scheduled release, with unreleased amounts returned to lock-up, so the net figure rather than the headline release determines how much supply actually reaches the market.
This site covered the same structure on July 7, when we described the gap between XRP’s fully diluted valuation and market cap as a supply overhang worth tens of billions of dollars standing behind every rally. The rally has since happened anyway, which shows the overhang is a headwind rather than a ceiling. It also means the demand side has to keep growing simply to hold this level.
What are the risks? Seasonality, the resistance band, and who sold into the last leg.
September has historically moved opposite to August for XRP in seven of the last eight years. Both times August rose, September fell, by 14% in 2020 and 19.6% in 2021. That pattern is working against the token this month, and it is still an eight-year sample.
Santiment’s HODL Waves data showed wallets holding XRP for three to six months cutting their share of supply during the August rally, meaning buyers from around March took the opportunity to exit at break-even after months underwater. Whale data is mixed: large holders added 1.54 billion tokens worth about $2.2 billion, though conflicting readings suggest some moved to exchanges.
The boundary on the whale figure: tokens moving to exchanges are not proof of selling, and accumulation data from different trackers frequently disagrees. Treat it as contested rather than settled.
What levels matter now? $1.4923 to $1.5436 as the band being tested, with $1.69 as the level that would change the picture.
Analysts have flagged $1.49 to $1.54 as the decisive resistance zone and have said nothing improves structurally until a two-day close above $1.69, the August high. Below, $1.35 to $1.38 has been identified as the significant demand zone.
For longer horizons: XRP’s all-time high of $3.65, set on July 17, 2025, sits about 58% above the current price and would require a gain of roughly 138% to reach.
Bottom line XRP trades at $1.5358, roughly 54% above the $1.00 level it defended in August, with ETF inflows crossing $100 million weekly for the first time since December while monthly escrow releases still add two to four times more supply than ETFs absorb.
The dollar held, which settled the question this site raised in August. What it did not settle is the arithmetic underneath: demand has improved but still has not overtaken supply, and the rally has been funded by a retail-dominated ETF base rather than the institutional money waiting on regulation. That is a thinner foundation than the price suggests.
XRP’s use case already extends past ETF wrappers and spot trading, casinos included. It’s one of the more widely accepted deposit currencies among online crypto casinos, and BlockchainReporter’s crypto casino leaderboard ranks more than 20 of these platforms on licensing, bonuses, and payout speed.

XRP Ledger Batch může být aktivován 29. září v 14:06 UTC, pokud si udrží podporu na úrovni 30 z 35 validátorů. RippleX tvrdí, že jej testují správci aktiv a komerční projekty, ale žádné nejmenoval.
The Ripple XRP Ledger’s Batch amendment could activate on September 29 at 14:06 UTC after the amendment gained backing from 30 of 35 validators as of September 20 – comfortably above the 28-validator threshold required to keep the countdown alive. XRP is trading around $1.58, up 22.2% for the week; the underlying report does not supply a 24-hour figure. RippleX says asset managers and commercial projects are already testing the feature, but it names none of them and confirms no live deployment.
That gap is the story. A technically capable upgrade is closing in on activation while the actual list of institutions supposedly using it remains a black box. Here’s what’s verified, what’s claimed, and what still has to happen before Batch means anything for XRP’s price.

DISCOVER: Is Bitcoin Price Priming for a Repeat of the 2012 Chart?
How the Batch Amendment Works Batch lets the XRP Ledger group two to eight ordinary transactions into a single operation instead of processing them one at a time. It supports four modes: all-or-nothing, one-at-a-time success, continue-until-failure, and fully independent processing.
The all-or-nothing mode is the one drawing institutional interest. In a securities trade, it lets an asset transfer and its payment settle simultaneously – if either leg fails, the whole batch cancels, which removes the risk of one party ending up holding both sides of a broken trade. Exchanges, wallets, or marketplaces can also fold their own fees into a customer’s batch, so the charge and the trade settle together.
None of this requires XRP to change hands in every transaction, a point worth keeping in mind before assuming a mechanical link to token demand. That distinction between commercial utility and confirmed XRP use also comes up in Ripple’s other institutional pitches, including its work on AI-agent payment rails.

BatchV1_1 xrpscan What Ripple XRP Has Confirmed And What It Hasn’t RippleX head of engineering Ayo Akinyele said on September 19 that asset managers and commercial projects are already working with Batch ahead of its launch, with specifics to follow once the amendment is live. No company names, product details, transaction volumes, or launch dates were disclosed. That leaves “preparing to use” and “actually using” as two very different claims, and only the first one is supported right now.
This is also Batch’s second attempt. The original version was pulled earlier in 2026 after auditors found a code flaw that could potentially have allowed unauthorized transactions; Ripple says no user funds were ever at risk since the amendment never activated on mainnet.
The revised version shipped September 14 and has since passed three outside security reviews, according to the source. Separate validator-vote tracking, similar to the process covered in 99Bitcoins’ look at the PermissionDelegation amendment window, shows Batch holding 30 votes as of September 20 – but that support isn’t locked in.
Validators can change their votes at any point, and if backing dips below 28 before September 29, the 14-day activation clock resets from zero.
Does Batch Actually Move XRP Demand? XRP Price Coingecko Batch could make the Ripple XRP Ledger a more attractive settlement layer for tokenized-asset trades, the kind of institutional crypto use case that’s been building around the network’s roadmap of amendments, as explored in 99Bitcoins’ coverage of XRPL’s tokenized-asset ambitions. But the amendment doesn’t require XRP for every bundled transaction, so it creates no automatic new buying pressure on its own. Demand only shows up if specific asset managers actually route trades through the ledger using Batch. Right now, those managers are unnamed and their timelines are undisclosed.
If validator support holds, Batch activates September 29 and the XRP Ledger gains genuine delivery-versus-payment functionality for up to eight transactions at once: a real technical upgrade, not vaporware. What it doesn’t do, based on what’s been confirmed so far, is prove that named institutions are ready to settle real volume on day one. The next milestone that actually matters isn’t the activation itself; it’s whether Ripple can name a single asset manager putting live trades on the ledger once the amendment goes live.

XRP získává v bankovním sektoru na síle díky On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) od Ripple, kterou už využívá více než 300 bankovních a platebních partnerů. Mezi nimi jsou Santander, National Bank of Egypt a SBI Remit.
Ripple’s XRP is increasingly capturing attention within the global banking sector as a fast, efficient liquidity solution. Despite a challenging regulatory environment, XRP’s technical features and Ripple’s expanding network of partners are positioning the digital asset as a leading candidate to power cross-border payment flows.
Banks eye XRP for next-generation liquidityBlockchain researcher SMQKE recently shared a case study emphasizing that “no bank has unlimited resources,” highlighting the importance of effective liquidity management. Ripple’s On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) platform, powered by XRP and designed to integrate with SWIFT’s ISO standards, addresses a key pain point for financial institutions seeking real-time settlement and liquidity optimization.
The analysis reveals that ODL technology is now gaining traction especially among banks operating in developing regions. Sir Graham Bright, who has been active in cross-border payment initiatives, noted that local governments and businesses in Africa have started to use this system to facilitate transactions in their native currencies, with XRP serving as the intermediary asset.
The process enables almost instant currency conversions while bypassing the risks and delays associated with traditional correspondent banking. By transacting directly in XRP or their own fiat currencies, banks and enterprises benefit from lower costs and reduced complexity compared to legacy cross-border systems.
Transacting with XRP-supported ODL services allows users in developing regions to instantly settle payments in their local currency, eliminating reliance on traditional correspondent banks and cutting both time and costs from the process.
Traditional institutions expand ODL useRipple’s global reach now includes more than 300 banking and payment partners who can access On-Demand Liquidity services. This growing network includes both large commercial banks and local players in regions that are actively seeking modern payment infrastructure.
Santander, National Bank of Egypt, Travelex Bank, SBI Remit, and Siam Commercial Bank of Thailand are among the institutions already experimenting with or deploying aspects of Ripple’s ODL solution. However, each partner can choose whether to utilize XRP as the settlement token or opt for one of RippleNet’s broader range of fiat and digital assets, depending on regulatory and business considerations.
With these deployments, Ripple aims to offer rapid, secure cross-border payment capabilities to financial institutions that often lack access to stable liquidity options for international transfers.
While the expanding ODL network promises new efficiencies, the ultimate scale of XRP adoption will depend on how banks balance regulatory compliance with the benefits of digital asset-enabled settlements.
Technical monitoring of the evolving payment landscape is especially important in the fast-moving meme token market, where viral trends can generate massive investment flows in short periods. For example, Fomo App data records a “Niu Lai” trade that turned a $99 stake into nearly $370,000, exemplifying how quickly interest can spike. In this segment, timing and token selection are critical, and platforms such as Fomo App now combine investor rankings, trade notifications, and social feeds to help users track opportunities and stay informed.
Binance vyřadí 19 nízko likvidních párů s USDC ze spotového i marginového obchodování. Zároveň koupila 1 237 011 akcií třídy A společnosti Circle za 100 milionů USD.
On September 22, the cryptocurrency market hovered near the $3 trillion capitalization mark after a powerful short squeeze sent Bitcoin surging toward $87,400. Forced liquidations totaled $557.79 million, with shorts absorbing approximately 70% of the losses. Data from CoinGlass pointed to BTC and ETH perpetual contracts taking the brunt, with $242.47 million and $100.83 million in losses respectively.
Massive capital inflows drive market surgeMarket sentiment was buoyed by an unprecedented inflow of U.S. capital: SoSoValue reported that spot ETFs attracted more than $1.9 billion within 24 hours. Bitcoin led with $1.36 billion, while altcoins also saw significant investments—Solana received $257.25 million, Ethereum took in $223.51 million, and XRP gained $45.54 million. Hyperliquid’s HYPE token reached a fresh all-time high near $96.
As Bitcoin stabilized in the mid-$85,000s, Binance users experienced a temporary squeeze in USDe, which dropped to $0.92 before recovering. The event was linked to an anticipated wallet upgrade on the exchange, and analysts assessed it as a temporary liquidity shortage rather than a systemic risk.
With external catalysts fading, major market participants are increasingly focused on internal liquidity and technical analysis. Strategic shifts among institutional and retail traders are expected to define the direction of digital assets in the coming days.
Binance cuts illiquid USDC pairs, invests in CircleBinance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, announced the removal of 19 low-liquidity USDC trading pairs from both spot and margin markets. The delisting forms part of a broader cleanup targeting pairs with thin liquidity.
At the same time, regulatory disclosures show that Binance acquired 1,237,011 Class A shares of Circle for $100 million, at a price of $80.84 per share. This transaction also includes a five-year commercial agreement, under which Circle will pay Binance monthly fees to promote USDC via modular smart-wallet integration.
Trading restrictions will be phased in: spot trading for seven USDC pairs will end on September 25 at 03:00 UTC, while 12 cross-margin and isolated margin pairs will be removed three hours later. The affected tokens include AIXBT, DOLO, ENJ, HUMA, SXT, TNSR, TURTLE, MANTA, BANANA, SSV, NOM, STO, 1MBABYDOGE, and OPN. Isolated margin borrowing will be disabled beforehand, and remaining positions will be liquidated by Binance if not closed manually.
The assets themselves remain tradable, with users gaining continued access via USDT, FDUSD, and BTC trading pools. Margin traders and bot users have been urged to close their positions ahead of the deadlines to avoid automatic settlement.

XRP’s decisive breakout, cleaner technicalsXRP, the token used by fintech company Ripple, broke out of a five-week symmetrical triangle pattern and jumped 5.5% during the week. The asset moved past $1.50, briefly testing resistance at $1.55 to $1.57, and remained steady in the $1.51–$1.54 range. This development reflected a market shift away from legal speculation tied to the SEC and CFTC, and back toward technical trading metrics.
Supported by Bitcoin’s momentum, XRP buyers surpassed a critical psychological threshold. Traders are monitoring the $1.55–$1.56 resistance, with a weekly close above signaling a firm uptrend and converting former resistance into a support level.
Technical analyst Peter Brandt, who leads The Factor Report, shared a chart projecting a long-term target of $5.40 for XRP but clarified that he currently owns only Bitcoin. Macro investor Raoul Pal noted that retail traders should focus on probabilities and solid technical analysis over assumptions of guaranteed profits.
XRP’s weekly close above $1.55 would confirm the bullish breakout scenario, reinforcing the market’s technical structure after weeks of uncertainty.
While a failed breakout could send the price back toward $1.40, the overall trend remains bullish unless a significant reversal takes place.
Shiba Inu struggles at 50-week moving averageShiba Inu (SHIB), a cryptocurrency inspired by the popular meme culture, saw its “Bull Combo” technical setup produce an 8.61% gain since formation. The pattern, which features bullish RSI divergence and a reclaim of the 23-week moving average, has stalled just below the 50-week MA near $0.0000064.
Despite exhausted sellers and renewed liquidity, SHIB could not yet surpass this resistance level. For upward momentum to continue, buyers must establish support above the 50-week MA.
The next technical hurdle is the 200-week moving average at $0.0000122, which has typically marked key reversal points for the token. Until a clear breakout occurs, large holders have accumulated an additional 468 million SHIB at the current bottom, seeking to capitalize if the trend resumes.
Mini dictionary: The Bull Combo technical setup refers to the simultaneous appearance of multiple bullish indicators on a price chart, such as a positive divergence in the Relative Strength Index (RSI) and the reclaiming of an important moving average, which together signal a potential upward trend.
Market watchers are waiting to see if bulls can reclaim the 50-week MA in the coming days, which would open the path to further gains or risk reducing the pattern to a routine rebound.
Key Takeaways Veteran analyst Peter Brandt identifies a technical pattern suggesting XRP could reach $5.40, with this target potentially achievable within the next year. The digital asset is currently changing hands around $1.44, representing a gain of approximately 4% in the last day and exceeding 8% growth over a three-day period. Major holders accumulated approximately 1.54 billion XRP tokens valued at $2.2 billion during a 96-hour window, per Santiment tracking data. The XRP Ledger’s Batch V1.1 network enhancement has secured approval from 30 out of 35 validators, with potential implementation expected around September 29. US-based spot XRP exchange-traded funds have accumulated approximately $1.7 billion in total net capital inflows. As of September 21, XRP is hovering around the $1.44 mark, posting gains of close to 4% during the previous 24-hour period. The token has maintained positive momentum for seven consecutive trading sessions.
XRP Price This upward trajectory coincides with Bitcoin’s surge past the $81,800 threshold, registering gains exceeding 5% across the past week. The aggregate cryptocurrency market capitalization increased by roughly 1.7% during the equivalent timeframe.
XRP’s performance has exceeded broader market trends throughout this week. Substantial wallet holders initiated accumulation after the asset rebounded from the $1.24 to $1.26 price corridor.
Santiment’s on-chain analytics reveal that whale-tier addresses acquired approximately 1.54 billion XRP tokens during a 96-hour span. The combined value of these acquisitions approached $2.2 billion based on prevailing market rates.
This accumulation activity elevated the monitored whale cohort’s aggregate holdings to approximately 9.81 billion XRP tokens.
Market observer Ali Martinez, operating under the handle Ali Charts on the X platform, highlighted this purchasing behavior in a recent analysis. He noted that XRP advanced 8.22% over three days following the whale acquisition of tokens exceeding $2 billion in value, and that blockchain data indicates minimal selling pressure until the $1.60 level, where approximately 2.5 billion XRP previously traded hands. Martinez identified $1.60 as his next monitored threshold for potential distribution activity.
XRP RALLIES AFTER WHALES BUY. WHERE NEXT?
Recently, whales accumulated more than $2 billion worth of $XRP.
Now that demand appears to be showing up in price, with XRP rallying 8.22% in just three days.
But on-chain data suggests there may still be room to run.

CryptoQuant’s metrics additionally documented roughly 1.6 billion XRP tokens entering Binance during the previous 30-day window. This represents the largest transfer volume registered since March.
Blockchain Enhancement Approaches Activation The XRP Ledger is approaching implementation of its subsequent protocol upgrade. Network validators are consolidating support for the Batch V1.1 amendment.
The enhancement proposal has garnered endorsement from 30 among 35 monitored validators. This surpasses the 28 affirmative votes required to satisfy the protocol’s 80% approval threshold.
The amendment initiated its activation countdown on September 15. Implementation could occur approximately September 29 assuming sustained validator support.
RippleX indicates that institutional fund managers and enterprise-level projects intend to utilize Batch functionality upon deployment. The specific organizations have not been publicly disclosed at this time.
Spot XRP exchange-traded funds operating in the United States have continued attracting capital. These investment vehicles have accumulated approximately $1.7 billion in aggregate net inflows.
Total assets under management in these ETF products approached $1.39 billion as reported on September 17.
Critical Technical Thresholds XRP is currently trading above all four principal daily exponential moving averages. The 20-day EMA is positioned around $1.368, in close proximity to the 200-day EMA at $1.356.
This is my long-term chart of ripple:native It implies an eventual advance to $5.40

The 50-day EMA rests near $1.303, while the 100-day EMA sits approximately at $1.268. A decline beneath $1.35 would bring these support levels back into consideration.
On the Binance exchange, liquidation heatmap data reveals concentrations of leveraged trading positions near $1.45 and $1.47. Beneath current pricing, position clusters are located around $1.38 and within the $1.36 to $1.37 range.
A daily candle closure above $1.45 would bring the Donchian Channel upper boundary near $1.50 into view. Breaking through that resistance could establish a trajectory toward the $1.54 to $1.55 zone.
ECB spustila Pontes, svou velkoobchodní digitální vypořádací platformu, a napojila čtyři operátory od prvního dne. Jeden z nich běží na infrastruktuře odvozené z technologie XRP Ledger.
Pontes, the European Central Bank’s wholesale digital settlement bridge, went live on Monday, September 21. ECB President Christine Lagarde confirmed the launch following the Eurogroup meeting.
Four day-one market operators are now connected. One of them runs infrastructure derived from XRP Ledger technology. That detail has put Pontes firmly on the radar of XRP investors globally.
What Pontes Actually Does, and Why XRPL Is in the Room At its core, Pontes connects market DLT platforms to the Eurosystem’s existing TARGET payment rails.
Tokenized securities can now settle the cash leg in real central-bank money.
Settlement runs via a dual model, either cash tokens on a Eurosystem DLT, or a trigger into T2 real-time gross settlement. The technical shorthand is DvP via Hash-Link.
The four day-one operators are Clearstream, SWIAT, Cashlink, and Axiology. Axiology is a Lithuanian DLT firm founded by former Bank of Lithuania board member Marius Jurgilas.
ECB annexes from the 2024 wholesale trials confirmed that Axiology’s settlement system benefits from XRP Ledger technology.
That does not mean the ECB settled in public $XRP. Cash still clears in euro central bank money. Axiology runs a permissioned, XRPL-derived stack on the asset leg.
That distinction matters. Isabel Schnabel argued last month that on-chain central-bank money is no longer optional for euro sovereignty. Pontes is the ECB’s answer. Today it stops being a pilot.
The system runs roughly from 09:00 to 16:00 CET on TARGET business days. Launch fees are set at EUR 2,500 per participant and EUR 15,000 per operator, with no per-trade charge at start.
The ECB targets longer hours in 2027 and 24/7 multi-currency settlement by mid-2028.
What It Means for XRP, and Where the Investor Trap Lies The context for XRP bulls keeps building. Ripple holds a MiCA passport across the EEA.
Aviva’s tokenized fund on XRPL is already live. JPMorgan, Ondo, and Ripple completed a cross-border tokenized treasury settlement on XRPL earlier this year.
XRPL RWA holdings are cited near $4 billion. And XRPL 3.4.0 lending amendments are already live on the protocol.
But 21Shares has flagged the tension plainly, utility can scale without driving XRP token demand.
Institutions can adopt XRPL-derived rails without buying public XRP. Axiology’s role inside Pontes is the clearest live example yet of that split. Technology adoption is confirmed. Token demand is not automatic.
Still, the direction is clear. Ripple’s wholesale tokenization push is gaining institutional ground on both sides of the Atlantic.
Atomic settlement via Batch V1.1 is pulling the public XRPL closer to what institutional DvP workflows require.

Absa CIB spustila Absa Digital Asset Custody, živou institucionální platformu pro úschovu digitálních aktiv postavenou na technologii Ripple. Banka ji popisuje jako bankovní řešení s kontrolou privátních klíčů, schvalováním transakcí a compliance.
Africa’s institutional crypto market just reached a new threshold.
South Africa’s Absa Corporate and Investment Banking has launched Absa Digital Asset Custody, a live institutional platform built on Ripple’s custody technology.
Absa CIB confirmed the go-live on September 21, 2026, calling it “a digital first for Africa.”
Ripple’s Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa, Reece Merrick, described the launch as a “major milestone” for bank-grade digital asset infrastructure on the continent.
From Partnership to Live Product: What Absa Is Now Offering The roots of today’s launch go back to October 2025. That is when CoinGape first reported Ripple’s 2025 Absa custody partnership, which outlined Absa’s plan to bring regulated digital asset storage to its corporate banking clients.
Today, that agreement has become a named product.
Absa Digital Asset Custody provides institutional clients with private-key management, transaction and approval controls, and bank-grade governance and compliance wrapping.
Introducing Absa Digital Asset Custody, bringing institutional-grade security, governance and control to digital assets.
A digital first for Africa, built to institutional standards.
— Absa Corporate and Investment Banking (@Absa_CIB) September 21, 2026
The platform is designed for clients who already trust Absa with traditional assets and now want the same security standard applied to digital holdings.
Absa is not positioning this as a trading venue. It is positioning it as a vault.
Robyn Lawson, Head of Digital Product Custody at Absa CIB, made the bank’s intent clear at the time of the original deal, clients needed “secure, compliant, and robust custody solutions.”
That language is now reflected in a live product page at cib.absa.africa. Absa says the platform covers safekeeping, key control, audit trails, and a familiar regulated counterparty.
Ripple provides the underlying custody software and blockchain broadcast capability. Absa provides the banking wrapper.
Merrick’s framing today is the commercial one. He wrote that Absa is now setting “a new benchmark for secure, compliant, and bank-grade digital asset management on the continent.”
That benchmark has been a deliberate goal. Ripple’s broader custody expansion has long been framed as a precondition for institutional adoption, not a side product.
A Bank-Custody Race With Continental Stakes Absa’s launch arrives during a global sprint among major banks to establish crypto custody. Deutsche Bank’s crypto custody plan was announced in the same week, covering Bitcoin, Ether, and select stablecoins for institutional clients.
The timing underscores a structural shift: large balance sheets want vaults before they want trading screens.
Absa Digital Asset Custody sits inside a wider Ripple infrastructure push across the continent. Ripple’s RLUSD push in Africa has extended dollar stablecoin rails through regional fintechs.
Ripple’s Chipper Cash payments deal connected African cross-border flows to the Ripple network. Ripple’s Flutterwave stake gave the company equity exposure to one of Africa’s largest fintech payment processors.
Custody completes that infrastructure loop. Payments move value. Stablecoins settle value. Custody now lets a regulated bank hold value.
Ripple has demonstrated the same custody-first model elsewhere. BBVA’s Ripple custody rollout brought Bitcoin and Ether custody to retail banking clients in Spain.
Ripple Custody in tokenized bond settlement showed the same rails applied to sovereign debt. Africa is now the third region where a major bank has taken Ripple custody to market.
The regulatory backdrop strengthens the case. SEC path for Ripple as a custodian opened the door for Ripple-adjacent institutions to operate as qualified custodians under US guidelines.
BNY Mellon as RLUSD reserve custodian established a high-trust institutional precedent for Ripple-backed assets. Absa Digital Asset Custody now adds a live African bank to that stack.
Whether Absa Digital Asset Custody expands beyond South Africa to Absa’s other African markets, and whether tokenized assets or stablecoins follow as product extensions, will define how significant today’s launch becomes.

The XRP Community has a big date ahead of it as the Permission Delegation amendment is getting closer to activation, with the upgrade set to go live on October 5.
Gaining 29 Yes votes, PermissionDelegationV1_1 entered a two-week activation window on September 21, 2026. Starting from this date, the earliest activation of the Permission Delegation feature will be in the next 13 days on October 5, 2026, at 11:18 AM UTC, according to XRPScan data.
This marks the earliest possible activation date, as validator support for the Permission Delegation amendment must stay above 80% the whole way. If it slips to 80% or lower even once, the amendment is rejected, and the 14-day timer starts over.
Permission Delegation allows accounts to delegate some permissions to other accounts. PermissionDelegationV1_1, bundled in the xrpld version 3.3.0, replaces Permission Delegation, fixing a critical bug discovered in the original implementation of the feature. Standard: XLS-75.

— Vet (@Vet_X0) September 21, 2026 According to Ripple stablecoin product lead, Lauren Berta, Permission Delegation has the potential to unlock an important capability for institutions issuing regulated assets on XRPL and matters for RLUSD and every regulated token on the ledger.

Permission Delegation allows issuers to delegate specific actions to separate accounts while keeping the issuer account secure. Stablecoin issuers, RWA tokenizers, and asset managers bringing regulated instruments onchain all need ways to separate the teams moving assets, enforcing compliance, and managing security.
This separation of duties is how stablecoin issuers operate on other chains: different teams are responsible for different functions.
Permission Delegation will enable that same type of operational structure for RLUSD on XRPL, natively at the protocol level.
Importantly, delegation does not mean giving up control: certain account-level permissions cannot be delegated, preventing delegates from escalating their own access. The issuer maintains control over which permissions are granted and can revoke them instantly.
Berta disclosed that the RLUSD team was building and testing against the functionality on devnet in parallel, highlighting interest in the feature.
According to RippleX software engineer Mayukha Vadari, a retail-specific use case of Permission Delegation (XLS-75) is for blackholed issuers. Before blackholing their issuer accounts, users can delegate some responsibilities (like setting the account domain) to a separate account they still control. So even after blackholing, they still control a few settings.
Volatility Shares odložila svůj návrh na 3x XRP ETF a jako nové datum účinnosti stanovila 18. října 2026. Nejde o start obchodování, jen o posun regulatorního termínu.
Volatility Shares has postponed its proposed 3x XRP ETF, pushing the effective date to October 18, 2026. This development provides traders in XRP, a major digital asset in the crypto market, with a new regulatory milestone to monitor but does not guarantee the fund will launch or begin trading on that date.
Details of regulatory filingA regulatory document submitted on September 18 designates October 18, 2026 as the updated effective date for Volatility Shares’ registration statement related to the 3x XRP ETF. The filing clarifies that its sole objective is to delay the already amended registration covering the 3x leveraged fund, rather than signal a definitive trading start.
This distinction is important in an environment where new ETF filings, approval dates, and launch announcements are often confused. Currently, the market for XRP exchange-traded funds includes both spot and leveraged products, contributing to occasional misinterpretations of regulatory updates as go-live announcements.
Expansion of leveraged XRP productsVolatility Shares already provides multiple XRP-based ETFs, among them a standard spot ETF and the XRPT 2x leveraged fund. These offerings underscore that the prospective 3x ETF would add to an established suite of products rather than mark Volatility Shares’ first foray into XRP-related investments.
Leveraged ETFs are structured to amplify the daily returns of their underlying assets by a set factor. In the case of a 3x ETF, the fund seeks to deliver approximately three times XRP’s daily movement, recalibrating exposure each trading day. This daily reset means the actual outcome over longer periods can diverge significantly from the expected multiple, particularly in turbulent markets.
Mini dictionary: Leveraged ETF – An exchange-traded fund designed to multiply the daily performance of an underlying asset, such as 2x or 3x, by using derivatives and debt. Over multiple days, performance may vary substantially due to compounding effects and volatility risks.
For example, if $XRP gains 5% in a single session, a perfectly tracking 3x ETF would theoretically move about 15% before fees and other influences are applied. However, these amplified returns can also accelerate losses, as the same formula operates in both directions.

While some proposals, such as a 2x short XRP ETF, remain on hold after several postponements, bullish leveraged products have already reached investors. This highlights ongoing demand for a diverse array of risk profiles for XRP-related funds.
Spot XRP ETFs have attracted roughly $1.7 billion in historical net inflows, despite $XRP’s market price remaining below its all time high. Coinpaper recently analyzed why significant demand for these ETFs has yet to generate a breakthrough in price levels.
Spot XRP ETFs have seen approximately $1.7 billion in net inflows, but the token continues to trade well beneath its former record value.
Institutional investors are broadening their exposure as well. Morgan Stanley, a leading global financial services firm, has previously disclosed positions in XRP-linked ETFs, including products from Volatility Shares. Competitors in the market continue to offer a mix of leveraged and income-focused ETF options to meet institutional and retail client demand.

A recent update by the XRPL intel X account identifies 6,160 potential victim addresses and 9.3 million XRP stolen.
The tracked funds are mixed with XRP received from other sources: 2 million XRP are held in tracked wallets, while 7 million XRP were sent to unidentified services.
Two wallets have been identified where issued tokens stolen from D'CENT App users were collected: one holds RLUSD, and another holds multiple XRPL-issued tokens.
Token issuers have been urged to freeze the affected trust lines to prevent the scammers from moving these assets, which will apply to RLUSD in this case.
Saúdská Arábie ukončila účast v mBridge 13. května 2025 po plánovaném testu CBDC. Současně Riyad Bank prostřednictvím Jeel zkoumá možnosti využití Ripple pro platební kanály, úschovu digitálních aktiv a tokenizaci.
TLDR: Saudi Arabia ended its mBridge proof of concept on May 13, 2025, after joining as a full participant in 2024. Riyad Bank’s Jeel unit is exploring Ripple for payment corridors, digital asset custody, and tokenization. Neither SAMA nor Jeel has linked the mBridge exit to XRP, RLUSD, or a replacement cross-border payment plan. SAMA first partnered with Ripple in 2018, while Saudi British Bank later used Ripple for India transfers. Saudi Arabia has ended its participation in mBridge, the China-linked wholesale CBDC project designed to improve cross-border settlement between banks. The move became public on September 20, 2026, but the Saudi Central Bank said the decision followed an earlier participation plan.
SAMA said it completed its proof of concept on May 13, 2025, marking the end of the kingdom’s planned experiment. The central bank joined mBridge as a full participant in June 2024 after previously observing the network.
JUST IN: 🇸🇦🇨🇳 Saudi Arabia withdraws from China's blockchain payment system designed to reduce reliance on the US dollar and SWIFT.
• Saudi Arabia withdrew from mBridge, China's blockchain-based cross-border payment project.
The exit coincides with separate blockchain work involving Riyad Bank and Ripple, creating a broader picture of Saudi payment experimentation. However, no available evidence links the withdrawal to XRP, RLUSD, or a replacement strategy built around Ripple.
Saudi Arabia Ends mBridge Participation After Planned CBDC Trial mBridge supports direct cross-border payments and foreign-exchange transactions using wholesale central bank digital currencies. Its distributed ledger was designed to reduce settlement friction between participating commercial banks.
The network reached minimum viable product status in 2024 and could process real-value transactions where participating jurisdictions were ready. Its structure could also reduce reliance on correspondent banks and intermediary currencies during cross-border settlement.
Still, the Bank for International Settlements described the project as a payment-efficiency initiative rather than a BRICS system designed to bypass the dollar or sanctions. The BIS itself left in October 2024 after four years of involvement.
Then-General Manager Agustín Carstens said the organization had “graduated out” and rejected suggestions that political concerns drove the decision. SAMA used a similarly operational explanation, saying its participation ended after the planned proof of concept.
Riyad Bank Tests Ripple for Payments, Custody and Tokenization Meanwhile, Riyad Bank is examining other blockchain applications through Jeel, its innovation and technology arm. In January, Jeel signed an agreement with Ripple covering payment corridors, digital asset custody, and tokenization.
The two sides also planned proofs of concept through Jeel’s regulatory sandbox. The arrangement extends earlier Saudi blockchain testing rather than replacing the central bank’s mBridge work.
SAMA had already partnered with Ripple in 2018, allowing domestic banks to test xCurrent for cross-border payments. Saudi British Bank later launched a Ripple-powered transfer service after testing payments to India.
Yet neither Jeel nor SAMA has said the latest collaboration involves XRP or RLUSD. Jeel’s announcement referred to Ripple’s broader blockchain technology without naming either asset.
A separate Saudi-XRP link also remains outside government policy. Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Abdulaziz Al Saud led VivoPower’s $121 million private placement for an XRP-focused treasury strategy in May 2025.
That transaction was a private investment, not a central bank decision. Together, the developments show parallel experiments in digital settlement, not evidence that one system is replacing another.
