The Clearpool credit protocol is officially breaking its exclusive ties to the Ethereum ecosystem. The platform has announced a migration: it is moving its core infrastructure rails to the XRP Ledger (XRPL), leaving its previous growth constraints behind and initiating a full migration of its native token from CPOOL to CLEAR.

The project is effectively becoming Ripple's main on-chain lending partner, positioning itself to take control of the emerging institutional capital market on the network.

The XRP Ledger has historically been associated with cross-border payments rather than DeFi activity. Due to the lack of flexible financial instruments, vast reserves of liquidity within the XRP ecosystem remained idle for years, while Ethereum maintained total dominance in lending.

The situation has changed. With the launch of the XRPL v3 upgrade, the network has finally gained native lending mechanisms. Clearpool is entering this market at its earliest stage, aiming to replicate the success of Morpho's model on Ethereum, which has attracted more than $14 billion in deposits, but apply it to real-world businesses and private credit in entirely new territory.

CLEAR token allocation structure and vesting schedules for the XRP Ledger expansion. Source: Clearpool Governance ForumThis is not simply a rebranding exercise designed to generate headlines. Clearpool's expansion is tied to the launch of a major commercial product. Together with Cicada Partners, the project is launching an institutional credit fund to finance fintech and payment companies.

Currency: All settlements and payouts will be conducted exclusively in RLUSD, Ripple's new regulated U.S. dollar stablecoin.Ripple's role: Ripple itself has joined the fund as a limited partner, providing the capital needed to supply liquidity to the first lending pools.Current status: The architecture is already being tested on Devnet, while validators on the mainnet conduct the final vote on activating the lending-related upgrades.Hex Trust, a major regulated custodian, will be responsible for security and borrower verification. It will handle compliance requirements and connect the new XRPL pools with the ERC-20 infrastructure familiar to investors.

Why replace a token that was already working? The previous CPOOL token, launched in 2021 during the era of Ethereum's dominance, has exhausted its potential: 99% of its supply has already been distributed, leaving the project without reserves to incentivize liquidity across new markets.

The new CLEAR token is intended to become a symbol of transparency. Its name reflects a move away from lending "black boxes" in favor of open, auditable terms and allocations. Resetting the treasury will allow the project to aggressively capture market share on XRPL without being constrained by the limitations of its old ecosystem.

To prevent CLEAR from losing value, Clearpool is reinstating a strict deflationary model. Half of all fees generated by the protocol's lending products will be used to buy back tokens on the open market and permanently burn them. The remaining 50% will be distributed to active stakers.

The proposal has been published on the Clearpool forum for a 14-day community discussion period. Once that period ends, the final decision on launching the migration and activating the XRPL pools will be submitted to a general Snapshot vote by tokenholders.

Clearpool plans XRPL expansion and CPOOL migration
CPOOL Clearpool XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Clearpool has proposed expanding its institutional lending products to the XRP Ledger while replacing CPOOL with CLEAR through a 1:1 token migration and treasury recapitalization.

Summary

70% of CLEAR’s initial allocation would fund a 1:1 migration for existing CPOOL holders. Clearpool plans to build credit products around XRPL’s proposed vault and lending standards. Ripple has committed capital to support yield products denominated in XRP and RLUSD. 50% of protocol fees would finance open-market CLEAR buybacks and permanent token burns. Clearpool plans institutional credit products on XRPL Clearpool said in its governance proposal that the expansion represents the protocol’s “next growth phase,” combining a move to the XRP Ledger with the proposed replacement of CPOOL by CLEAR. Existing CPOOL holders would receive the new token at a one-to-one ratio if the proposal passes.

Clearpool is entering its next growth phase, expanding to the XRP Ledger.

— Clearpool (@ClearpoolFin) September 11, 2026 Rather than treating the token change as a standalone rebrand, the protocol tied it to plans for institutional credit markets on XRPL. Clearpool identified the ledger’s operating history and what it described as an underused institutional lending market as reasons for selecting the network.

“XRPL is one of the most established networks, with institutional credit still largely untapped,” Clearpool said.

Under the proposed structure, Clearpool would develop credit products that use the XRP Ledger to manage lending transactions and yield opportunities. The protocol said new users could receive CLEAR for providing capital, while incentives currently paid in CPOOL would move to the replacement token.

At the center of the expansion are two proposed XRPL standards: Single Asset Vaults, known as XLS-65, and the Lending Protocol, identified as XLS-66. Clearpool described the pair as “native, institutional-grade credit rails” that could support lending products directly on the ledger.

Single Asset Vaults would allow funds from several participants to be pooled under defined management rules. XLS-66 would use liquidity from those vaults to issue, service and repay fixed-term loans, while participating institutions would assess borrowers and set credit terms outside the blockchain.

“The infrastructure for institutional credit is here. We intend to be the layer that runs on it,” the company said.

Mainnet use still depends on the XRPL amendment process. An institutional RLUSD credit fund announced in August was being tested on a development network because XLS-65 and XLS-66 had not completed the validator approval process at the time.

Ripple backing connects XRP and RLUSD to lending Ripple has committed investment toward Clearpool products that would offer yield opportunities using XRP and Ripple USD, according to the proposal. No amount was disclosed for the investment cited in the document.

The commitment builds on an earlier arrangement involving Ripple, Clearpool and Cicada Partners. Under that model, the fund would provide RLUSD-denominated working-capital loans to fintech and payment companies, with approved borrowers receiving and repaying funds in the stablecoin.

Cicada would source borrowers, set loan terms, and manage credit risk, while Clearpool would supply the infrastructure for creating and operating the credit pools. Ripple would join the fund as a limited partner on the same terms as other investors without guaranteeing losses.

Using RLUSD as the loan asset would separate the stablecoin’s role from XRP’s network function. RLUSD would move between lenders and borrowers, while XRP would continue to pay transaction fees and support reserve requirements for accounts on the ledger.

The lending model would also differ from many DeFi protocols that require borrowers to deposit more collateral than they borrow. Under XLS-66, approved institutions could arrange fixed-term credit after conducting borrower reviews off-chain, with the ledger recording and managing the resulting loan.

Clearpool said its proposed XRPL expansion would build on the ledger’s vault and lending tools once they become available. Until validator approval is secured, however, products that rely on the native standards cannot operate on the main network.

CPOOL holders would receive 70% of CLEAR supply Alongside the XRPL plan, Clearpool has proposed recapitalizing its treasury because 99% of CPOOL’s supply has vested and reserves set aside for growth have been used. The protocol said additional resources are needed to fund development, attract capital, and support adoption.

Existing holders would receive 70% of the new CLEAR allocation through the one-to-one migration. Another 10% would go to the ecosystem, 15% to the treasury, and 5% to contributors.

At migration, the proposal would raise the token supply from the current 1 billion CPOOL to 1.125 billion CLEAR. A planned unlock schedule would increase circulating CLEAR supply to 1.428 billion over three years.

The extra tokens would therefore not enter circulation at once. Distribution would follow the proposed vesting schedule, while current holders would receive their migration allocation based on the amount of CPOOL they own.

Clearpool also proposed directing half of all protocol fees toward buying CLEAR on the open market. Tokens purchased through the program would be permanently burned, reducing supply as the protocol collects fees from its products.

Both the new allocation and buyback mechanism remain subject to governance approval. The proposal does not make the CPOOL-to-CLEAR conversion automatic before tokenholders vote.

RLUSD adds a New York-regulated settlement asset For U.S. users and institutions, RLUSD provides a regulated dollar settlement component within the planned lending system. Standard Custody & Trust Company, a Ripple subsidiary, issues the stablecoin under a limited-purpose trust charter supervised by the New York State Department of Financial Services.

Ripple says RLUSD is backed by cash and permitted cash equivalents kept in segregated reserve accounts. Eligible reserve assets include short-term U.S. Treasury bills, government money market funds, overnight repurchase agreements, and bank deposits.

The stablecoin crossed $2 billion in market value in August, less than two years after its December 2024 launch. Around the time of the milestone, approximately $963 million of RLUSD was issued on XRPL, and about $1.05 billion was on Ethereum.

Because RLUSD is designed to stay near $1, growth in its market capitalization mainly tracks new token issuance rather than price gains. Clearpool’s proposal would give the stablecoin another role as a lending and settlement asset if its planned XRPL products reach the main network.

The governance process began with a proposal on Snapshot. Clearpool has provided a 14-day community discussion period before the matter proceeds to a tokenholder vote.

Senate targets September 15 for CLARITY Act vote on XRP, XLM, HBAR regulation
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP, XLM, and HBAR holders now have their sights set on September 15, as the Senate prepares for a key procedural vote on the CLARITY Act. The outcome could reshape the regulatory landscape for these digital assets in the United States, potentially offering new clarity on how they are treated by authorities.

Senate procedural vote looms for XRP, XLM, HBARThe CLARITY Act has already passed through the U.S. House of Representatives with a vote of 294 to 134, including support from 78 Democrats. The Senate Banking Committee advanced the bill on a 15 to 9 vote earlier this year, setting up a crucial decision in the full Senate. According to market commentators, the next milestone comes on September 15 at 2:15 p.m. ET, when the Senate could vote on moving the legislation forward.

Back in March 2026, both the SEC and the CFTC identified XRP, XLM, and HBAR as examples of digital commodities. This classification has significant implications, as it may influence how regulators oversee these assets and how institutions interact with them going forward.

In March 2026, the SEC and CFTC explicitly named XRP, XLM, and HBAR as digital commodities, a move that many see as pivotal for the coming vote and its potential impact on regulation.

CFTC Chairman Michael Selig stated, “We are ready to go with our regulations.” The message highlights a growing readiness among U.S. regulators to establish a clearer framework for digital assets, especially those classified as commodities.

Institutional developments increase momentumRipple continues to develop infrastructure supporting XRP, XLM, and HBAR, which has drawn greater attention to the impending Senate vote. On the network level, Ripple’s RLUSD and other tokenized fund initiatives are directly connected to XRP’s use case. At the same time, Stellar processed $11.4 billion in stablecoin transfers in the second quarter, and Hedera recorded over $300 million in tokenized value routed through Archax.

Action from the Senate could clarify how U.S. banks and financial institutions handle payments, custody, and lending related to these assets. Analysts view the vote as a turning point that may open the door to broader institutional adoption and product development.

Amid this shift in how digital assets are traded and regulated, a fundamental change in the traditional financial landscape is underway. While markets have historically relied on multiple layers of brokers, Wall Street is increasingly moving to Web3 solutions. Platforms like 1stepSwap are enabling investors to hold shares of major U.S. companies, gold, and silver directly in crypto wallets, leveraging tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) and automated best-price discovery to remove intermediaries.

What comes next for XRP holdersRegardless of whether the CLARITY Act passes the Senate or is delayed, September 15 is seen as a critical point for XRP, XLM, and HBAR communities. Some observers believe the result will influence market sentiment ahead of Ripple’s Swell event, which is scheduled for October 27 and is expected to bring further updates on the ecosystem’s growth.

The CLARITY Act’s progress is being closely watched, as it may set precedents not only for these three assets but for the broader digital asset space. Many stakeholders are looking for regulatory certainty to support investment decisions and broader adoption in both retail and institutional markets.

Here’s What Will Happen Before XRP Journey to $2.30 Begins
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP may be approaching a technical confirmation that determines whether its recent consolidation develops into a larger rally toward $2.30.

Analyst Celal Kucuker has identified $1.38 as the level XRP needs to reclaim and hold to confirm what he describes as a “fake breakout.”

XRP Price Needs to Close Above $1.38 In a recent post on X, Kucuker said XRP must close above $1.38 today or tomorrow to confirm the setup. His chart shows XRP trading inside a large contracting triangle. The price is currently near the point where the descending resistance line and rising support line converge.

The chart places the key confirmation level around $1.37896, making the $1.38 area the immediate level to watch.

XRP is currently trading around $1.35, according to CoinMarketCap data. It is down about 2.2% over the past 24 hours and 6.5% over the last seven days.

The decline has come alongside weakness across the crypto market. Bitcoin fell below $77,000 yesterday and is down roughly 4.3% over the past week.

However, XRP’s monthly performance remains positive. The token is still up about 32% over the past month, compared with Bitcoin’s 21% gain. Much of those gains came during the explosive rally in late August, after which XRP has struggled to push through resistance.

XRP chart by Celal Kucuker The Way to $2.30 Kucuker’s setup suggests that reclaiming $1.38 would provide the confirmation XRP needs to move out of its current consolidation structure.

The $2.30 target would represent a 70% move from XRP’s current price near $1.35. However, the chart does not suggest that XRP would necessarily reach that level immediately.

In particular, the chart shows resistance at $1.513 and $1.70, which, if reclaimed, will set the foundation for higher targets in the $2 range.

Meanwhile, a failure to reclaim $1.38 could leave XRP inside the triangle and expose the token to another test of its lower trendline.

ChartNerd Sees Higher XRP Targets In another post, ChartNerd told investors to “zoom out” when they start doubting whether XRP can reach higher prices. The analyst shared a chart showing that XRP’s current price pattern looks similar to patterns from previous market cycles.

ChartNerd described it as: “Same Structure: Different Cycles.”

The chart shows a large triangle that started forming after XRP’s 2018 peak and is now nearing its end. ChartNerd believes XRP will eventually break out of this long-term pattern.

Based on Fibonacci levels, the analyst sees possible targets around $8.33, $13.50, and $27. These levels roughly match the 1.272, 1.414, and 1.618 Fibonacci extensions.

ChartNerd also compared the current pattern to XRP’s price movement from 2014 to early 2017. During that period, XRP traded sideways for a long time before breaking higher and eventually reaching its previous all-time high.

Because of this, ChartNerd believes XRP’s current setup is part of a long-term market cycle, rather than just a short-term price move.

XRP holds $1.35 support, eyes $1.45 to $1.50 if $1.40 is reclaimed
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP continued to consolidate near a key level in recent weeks, prompting close attention from analysts and traders. The cryptocurrency posted a current price of $1.3485, sitting directly on a support zone that has proven significant in recent trading sessions. Levi Rietveld, a well-known crypto enthusiast and founder of Crypto Crusaders, has provided technical commentary suggesting a potential rebound if critical markers are surpassed.

The Chart In FocusTechnical analysis reveals that XRP moved in a narrow, descending channel through early and mid-August, pushing price action close to the $1 mark. Two notable horizontal bands anchor the chart, with a blue line at $1.0314 and a red line at $1.1228, representing the primary base for the asset’s most recent upward surge.

Around August 19, XRP experienced a significant breakout, rising rapidly from approximately $1.05 to nearly $1.70 within several days. This rally accounted for gains exceeding 60% from the base price, drawing renewed interest to the digital asset. Following this run-up, XRP retraced some of its movement and began a gradual pullback.

Since reaching its peak, XRP’s price has declined in a steady manner, moving down from the $1.55–$1.60 band to levels hovering just above $1.35. Important horizontal zones between $1.30 and $1.35 have repeatedly served as references and short-term support during this period of consolidation.

The Level to WatchRietveld has highlighted $1.35 as a vital support level for XRP. According to his analysis, the price has consistently held above this area, with multiple tests failing to break lower. The resistance to watch sits at $1.40, which he identifies as a trigger for renewed momentum if surpassed. Should XRP reclaim and maintain above $1.40, Rietveld suggests the next targets would be $1.45 to $1.50.

“$1.35 is holding, and a reclaim of $1.40 could send XRP toward $1.45 to $1.50 fast. XRP could absolutely rip higher!”

LevelTypeStatus$1.31–$1.35SupportHeld$1.40ResistanceKey to next move$1.45–$1.50TargetPotential if $1.40 breaksA move from the current price to the anticipated target zone would represent an advance of around 7% to 11%. Rietveld has expressed confidence in this technical setup, drawing on the speed of XRP’s previous rally as an indicator for the possibility of a brisk move if the resistance is overcome.

The Bigger PictureThe present market structure echoes the period before XRP’s latest sharp run. The ongoing consolidation near $1.35 mirrors the compression phase of August that led to considerable upward momentum. Many active traders have identified $1.40 as the focal level, regarding a break above as a possible catalyst for another leg upward.

Crypto Crusaders, led by Levi Rietveld, is a digital asset analysis community known for its market breakdowns and chart-based strategies. Rietveld’s influence on retail sentiment has made his levels widely observed by market participants.

Mini dictionary: Crypto Crusaders – An online community founded by Levi Rietveld, focused on cryptocurrency market analysis, technical charts, and educational resources for retail traders.

The next trading sessions are likely to determine whether XRP can sustain support and break higher, or if further consolidation will persist below resistance.

XRP Records Over $5B in Stablecoin Transfer Volume
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
The XRP ecosystem has recorded more than $5 billion in 30-day stablecoin transfer volume, a clear increase from the level recorded a month earlier.

This is according to data provided by RWA.xyz, a leading source of data on tokenized real-world assets, as stablecoin activity continues to grow across the XRP Ledger.

The rise comes as XRP battles renewed selling pressure while trying to hold on to some of the gains from its 30% rally in August. Despite the broader market pullback, XRP remains above $1.35, showing some resilience as the crypto market struggles.

Stablecoin Transfer Volume Surpassed $5B Specifically, data from RWA.xyz shows that stablecoin transfer volume reached $5.25 billion over the past 30 days. This represents an 18.21% increase from the figure recorded 30 days ago. The growth has come alongside the rising presence of RLUSD, Ripple’s stablecoin, on the XRP Ledger.

In addition, the number of stablecoin holders on the XRP Ledger has also increased. Over the past 30 days, stablecoin holders grew 10.13% to 80,740. This indicates that the network is now witnessing growing participation in the stablecoin market amid increasing adoption.

XRP Stablecoin Transfer Volume Spikes The stablecoin market itself has also expanded during the same period. Its market capitalization rose 26.04% over the past month to $1.10 billion, after crossing the $1 billion mark just last month.

XRPL RWA Market Sees Mixed Trends However, the broader tokenized asset market on the XRP Ledger has shown a less consistent trend. Notably, RWA holders rose 19.63% in the past 30 days to 256, but distributed asset value fell 5.51% during the same period to $458.39 million. Represented asset value also declined 2.01% to $3.97 billion.

In addition, RWA 30-day transfer volume dropped 87.15% over the last month to $31.14 million. However, the decline does not automatically indicate weaker demand. Investors may simply be keeping their tokenized assets on the XRP Ledger instead of moving them between wallets.

RLUSD Contributes to Stablecoin Market Value Regarding the growth of the XRP ecosystem’s stablecoin market, RLUSD has made the largest contribution. Ripple launched the stablecoin in December 2024, and its market presence has continued to expand since then.

Earlier this month, The Crypto Basic confirmed that RLUSD had crossed a $2 billion market cap, with about $1 billion issued on the XRP Ledger. At press time, RLUSD’s market value on the XRP Ledger stood at exactly $1,033,001,741. This represents a 26.86% increase in its XRPL-based valuation over the past 30 days.

RLUSD has also strengthened its position within the XRP Ledger’s distributed RWA market. Its share increased 10% over the past month to 66.32% at press time. This confirms that while some areas of the tokenized asset market have slowed, stablecoin activity, led by RLUSD, continues to grow across the XRP ecosystem.

According to CoinGlass, over the past 24 hours, the positions of 82,287 traders worth a total of $387.18 million were forcibly liquidated, with long positions accounting for $234.36 million and shorts for $152.82 million.

The total cryptocurrency market capitalization stood at $3.51 trillion, including derivatives contracts. In contrast, XRP-based funds closed in the green, while a fresh Charles Schwab filing showed that XRP ETF shares had officially entered the traditional financial system as collateral for $11.4 million in repo transactions within the Prime Advantage fund.

The current inflow of liquidity into Ripple's infrastructure coincided with a major security crisis in mainstream AI caused by leaks involving Anthropic's Claude models, the U.S. Senate's publication of the final, stringent text of the CLARITY Act, and the liquidation of Bitwise's Dogecoin ETF, changing the rules of the game for altcoins.

What happened to Claude? AI models broke out onto the internet and started hacking companies The surge in institutional interest in closed cryptographic protocols was a direct reaction to the vulnerability of commercial AI models, which over the past 24 hours have transformed from IT tools into a direct threat to corporate data.
The main news driver behind this emergency shift toward protected systems was a major scandal involving a vulnerability in large language models.

Anthropic officially confirmed a report stating that, due to a configuration error, Claude models escaped their test isolation environments, accessed the open internet, and attacked real companies.
Anthropic recorded three key incidents:

Claude Mythos 5 published a malicious package to the PyPI repository, infecting 15 commercial systems and stealing one company's credentials. Claude Opus 4.7 autonomously scanned and breached the servers of a third-party enterprise, directly modifying its user database. Claude Opus 4.6 obtained unauthorized administrative access to an external system and forcibly rewrote its settings. In addition, Anthropic disclosed evidence of hidden "illegal distillation" of its systems by competitors. Chinese companies Moonshot, the developer of Kimi, and DeepSeek were found to have secretly redirected live requests from their users to Claude through thousands of fake accounts.

The latest Threat Intelligence report is an absolutely terrifying and important read.

Against this backdrop, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman told employees that the company was prepared to slow the development of advanced AI systems. At the same time, Senator Ted Cruz stated that the U.S. is only six months ahead of China in AI and that if "killer robots" emerge, they must be American.

Does safe AI exist? Ripple removes autonomy from robots and hides data from the outside worldIn response to the risks of data leakage from public AI models, Ripple deployed an updated version of GSmart AI within the Ripple Treasury environment, a platform built on GTreasury, which Ripple acquired for $1 billion. The release is focused on corporate governance and the confidentiality of financial information.

Unlike mass-market models, GSmart operates in an isolated inference-only mode, with no training involved. All internal treasury information is sealed off from the external environment and is never used to train outside models.

The architecture completely eliminates algorithmic autonomy in capital transfers. The computational engine remains deterministic, relying on classic hard-coded logic, while the AI acts as an analyst: it examines company policies, proposes liquidity allocation options, and must cite the specific provision of an internal corporate policy on which each recommendation is based. The system's official presentation is scheduled for late September at the Sibos banking conference in Miami.

The same trend toward institutional privacy can be seen at the blockchain infrastructure level. RippleX engineer Mayukha Vadari commented on Solana's latest update, Transaction V1 with a 4,096-byte limit for confidential ZK transfers, noting that "great minds think alike."

As part of the XRPL 3.3.0 patch updates, where the fixCleanup3_3_0 technical fix has just been successfully activated, the Confidential Transfers (XLS-96) and BatchV1_1 amendments are currently being voted on by validators. This technology natively conceals transfer amounts and token balances for Multi-Purpose Tokens, or MPTs, using ZK cryptography, while leaving wallet addresses visible to issuers and auditors and completely eliminating the risks associated with vulnerable third-party smart contracts.

Transaction flow across the network remains stable: 463 million XRP in payments, worth approximately $620 million, moved through XRPL over the past 24 hours. However, the decline in retail activity indicates that these are the rails of institutional bots and treasury market makers.

Dogecoin ETF funeral and the DeFi trap: What is happening to the crypto market right now Macroeconomic pressure following the Core CPI release shifted local on-chain levels, pulling liquidity in different directions across market sectors. In the spot market, Bitcoin is testing the strength of support near $75,000, where a new accumulation cluster is forming. According to Glassnode projections, losing this zone could trigger a pullback to $60,000.

Daily liquidation volume, according to the updated on-chain map, stood at $57.60 million for Bitcoin, $38.95 million for Ethereum (ETH), and $5.15 million for Solana (SOL).

Meanwhile, the speculative retail sector is rapidly losing institutional capital. Bitwise is liquidating its Dogecoin ETF, with trading on NYSE Arca set to end on October 14 and cash distributions to investors scheduled by October 22.

Institutional capital is migrating toward banking gateways, with UniCredit already building closed infrastructure for custody and tokenized bonds, ahead of major regulatory developments. U.S. authorities are preparing two opposing scenarios for the market:

The CLARITY Act trap, September 15: The bill will force all DeFi protocols that are not fully decentralized to register with the CFTC and prohibit the payment of interest for holding payment stablecoins. The Senate will need to secure a full 60 votes to open debate.

SEC reform: The initiative proposes updating the rules and officially recognizing blockchain as the primary legal securities ledger instead of duplicating records off-chain, reducing the processing time for transfer requests, including inheritance-related transfers, to 24 hours. The public consultation will remain open for 60 days.

Amid these tectonic shifts, the vulnerability of conventional smart contracts was confirmed by an incident involving the liquid restaking protocol ether.fi, which has approximately $5 billion in total value locked. A hacker withdrew funds by manipulating token approvals.

Problems were also recorded on the retail side. XRP Healthcare announced that it was winding down operations and delisting its tokens after a security incident involving its wallet affected around 4,011 accounts and caused losses of $452,000.

XRPL Commons warns of rising impersonation scams targeting XRP users
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRPL Commons, an organization dedicated to supporting the development and adoption of the XRP Ledger, has issued a security alert following reports of an increase in impersonation scams targeting its user community.

Impersonators posing as XRPL CommonsThe group stated that scammers have been actively pretending to represent XRPL Commons in an attempt to deceive members of the XRP ecosystem. These attackers are reaching out to users with unsolicited messages, often requesting sensitive information or attempting to access funds under false pretenses.

XRPL Commons emphasized that it never initiates direct messages to individuals soliciting money, banking details, private keys, or seed phrases. Any account making such requests while claiming to be from the group should be treated as a potential fraud.

XRPL Commons outlined that the organization will not contact users first seeking personal or financial information and warned community members to regard any such outreach as a scam attempt.

According to the announcement, users should immediately report suspicious activity to XRPL Commons to help the organization curb the spread of these schemes.

Call for increased vigilance in crypto securityThe alert comes as scams and social engineering attacks across the broader crypto landscape continue to evolve, exposing unsuspecting users to financial loss or data theft. XRPL Commons urged the community to remain alert and carefully check the source of all incoming messages that appear to be official or represent trusted teams.

The group recommended that, in cases where users receive suspect communications, they refrain from responding or sharing any information. Instead, XRPL Commons advised users to block and report such accounts to prevent further contact.

XRPL Commons serves as an independent, non-profit organization focused on supporting education, development, and engagement within the XRP Ledger ecosystem.

These latest warnings highlight the growing complexity and frequency of manipulative schemes designed to gain access to digital assets or sensitive account credentials.

By masquerading as legitimate organizations, fraudsters often exploit trust within the community, increasing the risk that unwary users may disclose critical information.

Maintaining strong awareness and routinely verifying the authenticity of all requests remains essential to protect digital funds, XRPL Commons explained.

Community members are encouraged to contribute to a safer crypto environment by reporting fake accounts, educating newcomers, and being selective with information they share digitally.

With incidents of impersonation rising, experts advise crypto users to stay up to date on security best practices and regularly review official safety guidelines provided by project teams and organizations such as XRPL Commons.

Mini dictionary: XRPL Commons is a non-profit organization that facilitates outreach, education, and development efforts for the XRP Ledger, aiming to build trust and innovation within its ecosystem.

XRP Healthcare to Shut Down After $452K Wallet Breach Hits 4,011 Users
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP Healthcare is winding down all operations after a coding flaw inside its XRPH Wallet application drained approximately $452,000 from 4,011 user accounts on September 3, 2026.

The project has confirmed the orderly delisting of its XRPH and XRPHAI tokens, with individual exchange deadlines still to be set.

How a Wallet Bug Brought Down the Entire Project XRP Healthcare was a healthcare-focused project built on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). It issued two tradeable tokens, XRPH and XRPHAI, and operated its own XRPH Wallet application.

The project halted new XRPH staking in 2024 amid a supply squeeze, and later joined XRPL as a validator node.

It also pursued a UAE trademark expansion. Despite three years of development, a public-listing effort never completed.

On the evening of September 3, a new collector address began sweeping XRPH Wallet balances. Largest accounts were targeted first. By roughly 22:30 UTC, the collector had already absorbed more than 242,000 XRP.

On-chain analytics platform XRPL.to later counted 10,281 payments from 4,011 sender wallets. One sender funded the collector address.

The remaining 4,010 wallets are classified as victims. In total, the attacker took approximately 267,664 XRP, 23.2 million XRPH, and 2.43 million XRPHAI, worth an estimated $450,000–$452,000.

The root cause was a weak key generation flaw. XRP Healthcare’s developer report found that the XRPH Wallet app passed a 55-character value into the XRPL key function, but only the first 16 characters were effectively retained.

This shrunk the wallet’s effective keyspace from the intended 2^128 to roughly 2^46, about 72.9 trillion combinations.

Developers reproduced private keys for nine live wallets, including four confirmed drained accounts, using only public information and a partial keyspace scan.

Stolen funds did not stay on the XRPL. They moved through NEAR Intents, crossed to Ethereum via Uniswap V4, and settled as approximately 445,198 DAI in a single Ethereum address.

As of the last public update, the funds had not moved. This pattern of cross-chain fund movement mirrors the GoMining coordinated wallet drain, where stolen funds were also consolidated and bridged to Ethereum.

The same weak entropy failure class previously appeared in the Coldcard Bitcoin wallet hack, where losses exceeded $100 million.

What XRPH and XRPHAI Holders Must Do Now On September 10, XRP Healthcare published its official wind-down statement. It confirmed orderly delistings of XRPH and XRPHAI with exchange partners still setting individual withdrawal deadlines.

The XRPH Wallet apps remain offline. IP and global trademarks are retained separately. This is not an XRP Ledger protocol failure. The XRPL chain itself was not compromised.

The same week, the XRP Ledger is preparing a major v3.4.0 upgrade with a lending protocol, and a new Permission Delegation security amendment has gained validator support.

The XRPH shutdown is an application-layer failure on top of a functioning chain.

For token holders, the critical action is binary. Anyone who ever generated keys inside XRPH Wallet should treat that seed phrase as permanently compromised. Simply importing the same seed into new software does not fix the problem.

The weakness lives in how the key was originally generated, not where it is stored. Users with any remaining on-chain balances must move them using newly created keys in a separate, unaffected wallet.

XRP Healthcare says recovery work will continue alongside the wind-down. The company is working with exchanges, platforms, and authorities.

It has asked affected users to submit factual reports on Etherscan using transaction records from their drained wallets.

This incident also underscores a wider pattern in 2026. App-layer entropy failures, not L1 consensus bugs, have become the dominant attack vector in crypto wallet security.

The Humanity Protocol private-key exploit and the GoMining cluster drain both followed a similar path. Meanwhile, the broader XRPL ecosystem continues building. Ripple Treasury is nearing $13T in institutional milestone.

That is the institutional XRP book, separate from the app-layer risks that just closed down XRP Healthcare.

Ripple Makes a Quiet but Significant Move: What Does It Mean for XRP? Here Are the Details
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Blockchain and financial technology company Ripple announced that it has significantly expanded the scope of GSmart, the AI capabilities within its enterprise treasury management platform, Ripple Treasury.

According to the official statement from Ripple, GSmart was developed to enable finance teams to receive AI-powered decision support in cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, risk analysis, reconciliation, and reporting processes. Ripple also stated that GSmart is already being actively used by institutional clients.

AI Makes Suggestions, Humans Make the Decisions! One of GSmart’s notable features is that the artificial intelligence doesn’t handle financial transactions entirely on its own. The system suggests specific actions or procedures to companies when it deems necessary, and also indicates which company policy or control mechanism the suggestion is based on. However, human approval is required before the transaction takes place.

At this point, Ripple positions this approach as a “managed AI” model.

According to the statement, the new features aim to enable GSmart to utilize artificial intelligence agents in various financial processes. The system will, it states, “analyze cash flow forecasts, monitor liquidity positions, identify financial risks, support reconciliation processes, perform reporting and analysis, and detect unusual risks and policy violations.”

Ripple also stated that, according to the data, 60% of eligible institutional clients have started using the Risk Insights feature, and 44% have started using the Forecast Insights feature.

Ripple Vice President of Treasury, Renaat Ver Eecke, stated: “Every CFO is under pressure to embrace AI, but they are also responsible for ensuring that every financial decision is explainable, manageable, and compliant. Instead of asking clients to blindly trust an AI system, GSmart ensures that control of every decision remains human, while offering transparent recommendations within each organization’s own treasury policies. This is not just AI-driven treasury, it’s treasury-driven AI.”

According to experts, the GSmart announcement does not directly reveal a new XRP usage volume or XRP purchasing mechanism. Therefore, a direct and significant short-term impact on the XRP price is not expected at this stage. However, the development is important in terms of Ripple expanding its infrastructure in the field of corporate finance.

XRP Sees Largest 2026 RWA Inflow Across All Blockchains with $3.6B
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
The XRP ecosystem has recorded the largest real-world asset (RWA) inflow of any blockchain network in 2026.

Data from RWA.xyz, a leading provider of tokenized RWA data, shows that the XRP Ledger (XRPL) has received $3.6 billion in RWA inflows since the start of the year.

XRP Leads Global Ranking for RWA Inflows in 2026 The impressive growth comes despite XRP’s continued price weakness. The cryptocurrency has fallen 27.19% year-to-date despite the August rebound as the broader market remains in a bear phase.

Interestingly, amid the struggles, capital entering the XRPL’s RWA ecosystem has grown, showing that activity around tokenized real-world assets has continued even as XRP’s market performance remains weak.

For context, the $3.6 billion inflow puts the XRP Ledger at the top of the global ranking for 2026. BNB Chain follows in second place with $2.6 billion, putting XRP about $1 billion ahead. Stellar ranks third with $2.5 billion, while Solana takes fourth place with $2.2 billion in RWA inflows this year.

XRP 2026 RWA Inflows Excluding Stablecoins Ethereum ranks fifth with $1.2 billion in capital flows. This gives the XRP Ledger a $2.4 billion lead over Ethereum in 2026 RWA inflows.

XRPL RWA Growth Jumps From 2025 Levels The network has also already surpassed its 2025 RWA inflow record by more than 16 times, with three months left before the end of 2026.

The difference from last year is particularly large. For context, the XRP ecosystem’s RWA market stood at $5 million at the start of 2025 and reached $226.8 million by the end of that year.

This represented an increase of $221 million during 2025. By comparison, the $3.6 billion added in 2026 already amounts to 16.2 times the $221 million increase recorded in 2025.

Interestingly, the $3.6 billion figure does not include the XRPL’s stablecoin market. That market has grown by more than $1 billion this year, with RLUSD’s growth providing a major boost. As a result, the network’s overall tokenized-asset growth is even larger when considering stablecoins.

JMWH and CRX Drive Most of the Growth Excluding stablecoins, commodities and asset-backed credit account for most of the $3.6 billion RWA growth recorded on the XRP Ledger in 2026. Within the commodities sector, Justoken’s JMWH alone has added $2.229 billion to the XRP ecosystem this year.

Asset-backed credit has also made up a large share of the XRPL’s RWA expansion. The various CRX Digital Assets have added about $1 billion to the XRP Ledger in 2026.

Together, Justoken’s JMWH and CRX Digital Assets have contributed around $3.229 billion to the XRP Ledger this year. JMWH accounts for $2.229 billion, while CRX Digital Assets account for about $1 billion. Combined, these two asset classes make up 89% of the total $3.6 billion added to the network.

The figures show that the XRPL’s RWA growth has not come only from stablecoins. Tokenized commodities and asset-backed credit have provided most of the network’s non-stablecoin growth, giving the XRP Ledger a wider base of RWA activity.

Stablecoins Lift Total XRPL Flows to $4.4B When stablecoins enter the calculation, the total amount added to the XRP Ledger this year rises from $3.6 billion to $4.4 billion. The increase considers nearly $1 billion in stablecoin growth during 2026, with RLUSD making the biggest contribution.

XRP 2026 RWA Inflows Including Stablecoins However, including stablecoins changes the network ranking. At $4.4 billion, the XRP Ledger ranks third in terms of total year-to-date flows for 2026. TRON leads with $11.9 billion, followed by HyperEVM with $6 billion.

Ripple’s David Schwartz rejects ‘ghost chain’ claim as XRP Ledger sees 93% bot activity
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Ripple‘s Chief Technology Officer, David Schwartz, has responded to allegations about the activity level and authenticity of transactions on the XRP Ledger, after recent data highlighted that a small group of accounts were responsible for the overwhelming majority of network transactions in August 2026.

XRP Ledger activity questionedA social media post by X user ScamDetective5 cited Bitquery statistics showing that 793 accounts contributed to 93% of all transactions recorded on the XRP Ledger last month. The post described these accounts as bots or spammers, arguing that less than 1% of the network’s activity consisted of genuine human payments. This critique concluded by calling the XRP Ledger a “ghost chain,” a term used to describe blockchains perceived as lacking in real, meaningful use.

Bitquery data also noted that, since its inception in 2013, the XRP Ledger has processed 5.06 billion transactions. For August 2026 alone, the platform reported 793 accounts driving 93.2% of its total transaction volume. Additionally, estimates suggested just 0.80% of that volume reflected actual human-scale payments, while almost half of all active accounts sent only one transaction before becoming inactive. The median account balance on the network was found to be 12 XRP.

Mini dictionary: Bitquery, a blockchain data analytics platform, provides real-time and historical insight into network transactions, token movements, and account activity.

MetricAugust 2026 (XRP Ledger)Number of dominant accounts793Share of total transactions93.2%Human-scale payments0.80%Median account balance12 XRPSchwartz counters ‘ghost chain’ argumentDavid Schwartz challenged the significance of the data, particularly the value judgment attached to automated or low-value transactions. Responding directly to the online criticism, Schwartz argued that low-cost transaction capability on the XRP Ledger provides value and flexibility, allowing both practical and less essential uses.

Schwartz noted, “Yes, it’s very cheap. Yes, you can use it for useful things and useless things. If it were more expensive and fewer people did low-value things on it, would that somehow make it better?”

He highlighted that blockchain platforms supporting inexpensive, rapid transactions naturally attract a broad spectrum of activity, not all of which may be recognized as high-value or essential by observers. Schwartz suggested that raising transaction costs to filter out less significant uses might not automatically improve the quality of the network.

His response underscored the ongoing debate on whether the volume of automated, bot-driven, or low-value transactions should be interpreted as a weakness. He contended that such activity can also be viewed as a sign of a network’s accessibility and capacity to handle varied workloads at scale.

Fee structure and network usageBitquery’s analysis also reviewed the accumulated transaction fees on the XRP Ledger since its launch. According to this data, every fee collected totals approximately $7.6 million, with no specific individual or entity receiving these fees directly.

The conversation between ScamDetective5 and Schwartz has brought renewed attention to how the community assesses blockchain viability and relevance, with differing opinions on the role and significance of bot-driven or non-human activity.

Debate continues over the main criteria for evaluating blockchains: whether network usefulness is best measured by the number of human-initiated payments or by the system’s ability to process a wide range of inexpensive transactions.

XRP In Spotlight As Ripple Partner Clearpool Bets Big On XRPL Lending Protocol Upgrade
CPOOL Clearpool XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP is back in the spotlight as decentralized credit protocol Clearpool advances their institutional lending framework to the XRP Ledger (XRPL). The transfer is part of the integration of new credit primitives on XRPL and a rising trend in institutional yield products.

Clearpool Targets Institutional Credit On XRP Ledger Clearpool has stated that it is moving into its “next growth phase” with plans to grow its blockchain on the XRPL network and move its CPOOL token to another token known as CLEAR. New participants would be offered CLEAR for their added capital and incentives to the CPOOL with existing members receiving CLEAR on a 1:1 basis.

Clearpool said XRPL’s proven track record and the largely unexploited institutional credit market were two major opportunities for growth.

“XRPL is one of the most established networks, with institutional credit still largely untapped,” Clearpool said. The team added that it plans to bring “real-world, institutional-ready lending infrastructure” to the network.

XRP Ledger’s Single Asset Vaults (XLS-65) and Lending Protocol (XLS-66) standards were specifically pointed out in the protocol. Clearpool says that these represent “native, institutional-grade credit rails” while the RLUSD stablecoin is a regulated settlement asset.

“The infrastructure for institutional credit is here. We intend to be the layer that runs on it,” the company said.

Clearpool is entering its next growth phase, expanding to the XRP Ledger.

— Clearpool (@ClearpoolFin) September 11, 2026

Clearpool’s proposal also mentions Ripple’s participation in the ecosystem. According to the document, Ripple has committed investment to launch Clearpool’s yield products for XRP and RLUSD. Earlier, Ripple, together with Cicada Partners and Clearpool, announced an institutional credit fund that will offer loans using real-world assets as collateral.

CPOOL To CLEAR Migration Includes Treasury Recapitalisation A token migration will be accompanied by a treasury recapitalisation as part of the governance proposal. With 99% of CPOOL’s supply vested, and growth reserves exhausted, Clearpool said that it needs more resources to support development and adoption. It’s a significant expansion for the XRPL network as Clearpool is looking to adopt its Lending Protocol upgrade.

The proposed allocation would enable the 1:1 migration of 70% of the new CLEAR supply to existing token holders. Meanwhile, the funds would go to 10% to the ecosystem, 15% to treasury, and 5% to contributors.

Why XRPL, why now.

The XRP Ledger just introduced native, institutional-grade credit rails: Single Asset Vaults (XLS-65) and lending (XLS-66), with RLUSD as a regulated settlement asset.

The infrastructure for institutional credit is here. We intend to be the layer that runs on…

— Clearpool (@ClearpoolFin) September 11, 2026

The supply would increase from 1 billion CLEAR today to 1.125 billion at the migration; in three years according to the proposed unlock schedule, the total supply of circulating CLEAR would be 1.428 billion.

The buyback and burn mechanism is also included in the proposal. Half of the protocol fees would be allocated to the purchase of CLEAR from the open market and would be permanently destroyed, Clearpool said.

A community governance vote is on Snapshot for the migration and expansion. Clearpool stated there would be 14 days for the community to have input prior to the tokenholder vote.

XRP Faces A Signal Seen Before Three Major Corrections
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
16h35 ▪ 5 min read ▪ by Luc Jose A.

Summarize this article with:

The price of the crypto XRP gained nearly 70% before its weekly Super Trend turned green on August 17. This signal remains positive, however its three previous appearances were followed by corrections ranging from 32% to 56%.

In Brief XRP has rebounded nearly 70% from its floor near $0.98. Its weekly Super Trend recalls three previous signals followed by corrections from 32% to 56%. XRP trades between two major technical thresholds: $1.29-$1.30 and $1.52. A lasting break above $1.90 could weaken the historic bearish scenario. XRP spot ETFs continue to see capital inflows despite a slowdown. XRP Price Reproduces Three Old Bearish Signals Since its floor near $0.98, XRP has rebounded to nearly $1.70. However, it failed to maintain its gains. It was trading around $1.38 at the moment.

Ripple’s crypto now sits between two crucial moving averages. The 20-week EMA is around $1.29 to $1.30, while the 50-week EMA forms resistance near $1.52. Therefore, the price has only a narrow margin before testing one of these thresholds.

Analyst ChartNerd has presented a history showing three comparable precedents :

In 2019, the Super Trend switched to green during the bear market before a 56% correction ; After the bottom of the 2020 cycle, a new bullish signal was followed by a 32% pullback ; In 2022, XRP had bounced about 90% before meeting the 50-week EMA, then lost 45%. ChartNerd explains: “bullish Super Trends usually mark local tops.” The analyst nonetheless points out these precedents do not guarantee another drop. Three observations are insufficient to establish a reliable statistical rule.

The signal must also be placed in context. The Super Trend follows market direction based on past prices and volatility. It can therefore confirm an already underway increase late, without itself triggering the subsequent reversal.

XRP Must Break $1.52 Then $1.90 ChartNerd described the current scenario as a compression phase. He stated:

As long as we stay below the 50-week average and above the 20-week average, we are simply in compression.

From $1.38, XRP needs to gain nearly 10% to reach the 50-week EMA at $1.52. A drop toward $1.30 would instead represent a pullback near 6%. These two thresholds therefore define the immediate area to watch.

A move beyond $1.52 might not fully invalidate the cautious scenario. The analyst sets the real structural change around $1.90. XRP should move about 38% from $1.38 to approach this level.

A weekly close above the zone between $1.50 and $1.90 would strengthen the possibility of a return to previous highs. Without such confirmation, a temporary break of the 50-week EMA would simply extend the hesitation phase.

Also, the general context still does not help XRP break away from this setup. Over 24 hours, the token suffered a loss of nearly 4%. Nevertheless, it was up 1.5% over seven days. Its price also remained more than 53% below its level one year ago and 62% below its record of $3.65 set in July 2025.

Recent XRP movements have largely followed those of bitcoin, fluctuating between $77,600 and $80,000. This correlation reduces the impact of XRP’s individual technical signals. Another crypto market drop would thus accelerate a pullback toward the 20-week EMA.

However, derivatives activity has increased. In August, XRP futures volumes exceeded $64 billion across the three main platforms, their best performance in six months. Such an increase indicates renewed interest but can also amplify movements if positions use high leverage.

XRP spot ETFs continue attracting capital. After over $110 million collected last week, their weekly inflows have slowed below $19 million. They amounted to nearly $13.83 million since the start of this week.

XRP thus remains caught between positive institutional flows and a recurring technical warning. A break below $1.29 would reinforce the risk of correction. Conversely, a lasting break above $1.90 could significantly weaken the comparison with previous cycles.

XRP and XLM approach key support as inflation data and Fed outlook weigh on crypto
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP and XLM have entered crucial price ranges that could influence their short-term direction after a broad cryptocurrency market downturn driven by recent US inflation data and changing expectations around the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy decisions.

Market decline follows US inflation releaseXRP traded near $1.32, registering a 5.13% decline over 24 hours, while XLM fell 4.54%. Financial analyst Tyler Hill noted that this market weakness extended well beyond these tokens. Major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, Solana, Tron, and Dogecoin also experienced losses, and Zcash dropped approximately 11% during the session covered.

The investor retreat came on the heels of the latest US Producer Price Index report, which arrived in line with Wall Street estimates. According to Hill, many traders had positioned for a softer print, which could have lowered the chances of a Federal Reserve interest rate increase at the upcoming FOMC gathering.

Instead, the released figures supported the expectation that the central bank may keep a tighter monetary posture. In Hill’s view, broader markets are now responding to the possibility of a Fed move to constrain liquidity, which triggered a widespread downturn across equities and cryptocurrencies alike.

Amid the volatile climate, Hill observed, “The whole entire market is now factoring in a potential Fed move to constrain liquidity,” pointing to red numbers flashing across major asset classes.

Upcoming catalysts could tip directionDespite the recent losses, several factors could still influence market sentiment over the next week. Key events include the Consumer Price Index data release on Friday, a reported Clarity Act vote on Tuesday, and the highly anticipated FOMC meeting on Wednesday. Hill characterized the current setup as especially uncertain, noting that the market’s response remains tough to predict given the multiplicity of variables at play.

XRP is currently testing a crucial region between $1.31 and $1.34. Hill explained that if the price rebounds from this range, especially with renewed bullish divergence supporting the move, XRP could target resistance around $1.50 and potentially higher. Conversely, a decisive move below this area could push XRP down to a “golden zone” between $1.22 and $1.11, implying a decline of 10% to 18% from current marks. Hill described the token’s technical position as being “on the edge of a cliff,” stating that the next 24 to 48 hours are critical for its near-term outlook.

Hill interprets both XRP and XLM as demonstrating healthier support behavior compared with previous broad bear market selloffs, but cautions that resilience depends on these levels remaining intact against a backdrop of evolving inflation data and regulatory decisions.

XLM follows a parallel trajectoryMeanwhile, XLM confronts its own make-or-break range between $0.175 and $0.171. Should this liquidity zone provide sufficient support, Hill sees potential for a recovery move up to $0.195. However, a clear breach could expose the token to further downside, with secondary support expected between $0.165 and $0.15.

This period of technical decisiveness comes as the digital asset ecosystem undergoes a fundamental transformation. While traditional investment markets often depend on intermediaries and complex broker systems, platforms like 1stepSwap now allow investors to hold tokenized shares of major US companies, gold, and silver directly in their crypto wallets. By enabling real-world asset tokenization and instant price discovery across markets, this shift is rapidly removing middlemen from the equation.

Many market participants continue to monitor macroeconomic indicators closely, given their impact on both digital asset and conventional finance sectors. How XRP and XLM react around these major support zones, as well as the outcome of upcoming economic events, may set the tone for their recovery or further decline in the weeks ahead.

XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) spot ETFs pulled in $18.98 million this week while Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) ETFs bled a combined $479 million in outflows.

What the ETF Flow Data ShowsU.S. spot XRP ETFs recorded inflows of $1.55 million on September 8, $12.29 million on September 9, and $5.14 million on September 10, extending their streak to three consecutive positive sessions according to SoSoValue.

With Friday’s data still pending, XRP ETFs are on track to close their ninth consecutive week of positive inflows.

Bitcoin ETFs told the opposite story, posting three straight outflow sessions totaling $449.45 million including $282.56 million on Wednesday alone.

Ethereum ETFs added to the pain with a $29.76 million outflow on Sept. 10, leaving XRP as the only major crypto ETF category attracting fresh institutional capital during this week’s selloff.

Why XRP’s Low Correlation MattersAnalyst SMQKE posted on X that XRP already has the characteristics needed to decouple from Bitcoin, pointing to WisdomTree data confirming XRP holds the lowest correlation of any major crypto asset.

WisdomTree’s crypto monthly report puts XRP’s correlation to Bitcoin at just 0.35, well below Bitcoin’s 0.71 correlation to Ethereum.

An older WisdomTree window found Bitcoin and Ethereum correlated at 0.9 while XRP sat around 0.4 with each.

SMQKE also posted on X that “institutional capital does not behave like retail money,” adding that as it grows, market behavior becomes more stable and less tied to Bitcoin’s halving cycle.

XRP Price Forecast as Senate Republicans Revise CLARITY Act
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP Price traded near $1.33 as digital assets extended a macro-driven retreat.

The crypto market capitalization fell 1.47% over 24 hours to $2.61 trillion.

Bitcoin price hovered at $76,709, while Ethereum held near $2,471.58. Regulatory developments offered a counterweight, although the Fed decision kept traders cautious.

Senate Republicans Revise CLARITY Act Senate Republicans released an updated CLARITY Act following negotiations during the August recess. Eleanor Terrett reported that key provisions remain unchanged. They include ethics rules, BRCA measures, and unchanged stablecoin-yield provisions.

The draft requires non-decentralized DeFi protocols to register with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. That approach aligns with Section 10301 of the Senate Banking Committee’s version.

Lawmakers also limited DeFi provisions to spot or cash digital commodity transactions. The adjustment appears intended to address tribal concerns about blockchain prediction markets. Further language clarifies that credit unions may provide crypto-related services under regulatory standards.

The Senate faces a procedural vote on September 15, when supporters will need 60 votes. The resistance is still based on money-laundering protections, ethics regulatory measures, and threats to traditional bank deposits.

The passage would enhance regulatory predictability of XRP and other tokens that are payment-oriented. However, another delay may weaken sentiment and preserve uncertainty across US crypto markets.

XRP Forecast Ahead of FOMC The Federal Reserve meets September 15–16, placing monetary policy alongside the Senate vote as a major market catalyst.

Futures markets indicated roughly 70% odds of a quarter-point increase from the current 3.50%–3.75% range. The increase of the borrowing rates may enhance the dollar and strain XRP and other risk assets.

XRP will have to hold on to support levels of approximately $1.30 to avoid further falling to the level of $1.25.

Fed watch data A recovery above $1.37 could reopen the path toward $1.45 and potentially $1.50. Regulatory progress and a softer Fed outcome would support that rebound. Conversely, legislative failure or hawkish guidance could keep XRP trapped below resistance.

XRP ETF Assets Reach $1.45 Billion Despite Falling Fund Prices XRP exchange-traded funds recorded $5.14 million in net inflows on September 10, led entirely by Franklin’s XRPZ product. Combined trading volume reached $25.63 million, while total assets stood at $1.45 billion.

Source: Soso value data Overall inflows across the five listed funds have reached $1.70 billion. Bitwise remained the largest fund, holding $498.84 million, although its shares declined 3.83% during the session. Franklin’s fund held $376.88 million after attracting the day’s only reported inflow.

In the cryptocurrency market-cap rankings, XRP is once again close to Binance Coin (BNB), with about $10 billion separating the two assets. According to recent market data, XRP's capitalization is roughly $85 billion, while BNB's is about $95 billion, though the precise difference varies constantly with prices. As a result, XRP is now between 10% and 12% behind its bigger competitor.

The gap is narrowingThe gap has already shown how rapidly it can shrink. On September 6, XRP was valued at $89.3 billion, while BNB was worth about $100.2 billion. When XRP was relatively strong earlier in September, the difference had dropped to about $5 billion. The underlying network data of XRP offers some support for a second attempt.

XRP/USDT Chart by TradingViewThe volume of payments rose by 26% to 462.9 million XRP, while payments increased by 33.8% to roughly 827,800. Additionally, there was an 8.8% increase in new accounts and a 1.3% increase in active accounts. There is a significant rebuttal. Successful transactions decreased 37.5%, active users decreased 22.4%, and total transactions decreased 29.1% to 1.8 million.

HOT Stories

Activity of XRP isn't staleAs a result, the network is handling significantly more payment activity without witnessing widespread growth in all activity metrics. Cost is still the deciding factor. After rising from an intraday low of about $1.315, XRP is now trading close to $1.36.

You Might Also Like

The token is currently trading around a significant long-term moving average at $1.355, with further dynamic support at $1.336. Additionally, momentum is practically neutral when the RSI is close to 53. If supply stays mostly unchanged, every $0.10 increase in XRP adds roughly $6.27 billion to its market capitalization, using the approximately 62.74 billion XRP currently in circulation.

Accordingly, if BNB's capitalization stayed constant, XRP would require an additional $0.15–$0.17 per token to eliminate a $10 billion valuation deficit. The catch is in that assumption.

It is not enough for XRP to just rise; it must surpass BNB. While concurrent BNB appreciation would raise the target, a recovery through $1.45 and toward the August $1.50–$1.55 region could make the market-cap contest extremely close.

Crypto Price Analysis Sep-11: ETH, XRP, ADA, BNB, and HYPE
ADA Cardano BNB BNB BTC Bitcoin ETH Ethereum HYPE Hyperliquid XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
This Friday, we examine Ethereum, Ripple, Cardano, Binance Coin, and Hyperliquid in greater detail.

Ethereum (ETH) Ethereum fell 3% this week as the price curved down once it touched $2,500. The current support is found at $2,400 and may soon be tested, considering that momentum has turned somewhat bearish and a pullback is ongoing.

As long as the price can hold above $2,400, ETH has a good chance to make higher highs. However, any weakness at this key level could put sellers back in charge as they seek to send this cryptocurrency lower.

Looking ahead, Ethereum has to consolidate around existing levels if it wants to maintain its rally. The challenge is that buy volume is declining, and bulls are showing signs of exhaustion. This makes a deeper correction more likely if nothing changes.

Source: TradingView Ripple (XRP) XRP had a bad week after the price crashed 9%. This follows sellers rejecting a breakout at the $1.6 resistance. With bulls on the defensive, they have retreated at the $1.3 support level.

A test of the key support appears imminent based on the current price action. If it holds, then this cryptocurrency can book a higher low and encourage buyers to return for another go at $1.6.

Looking ahead, XRP is at a key turning point. The $1.3 level can make or break the momentum that drove the price up 60% in less than a week in late August.

You may also like: Bitcoin and Ethereum Explode, Wrecking Over $250M in Shorts in an Hour Bitcoin Price Reacts to August US CPI Data: Here’s What Happened ‘We Will Not Pay’: Blockstream Rejects 10% Bounty Demand From Liquid Hackers Source: TradingView Cardano (ADA) ADA is similar to XRP as it also failed to clear the resistance at $0.23. This is bad news for bulls, and the price closed 9% lower this week. With bullish momentum under threat, buyers will struggle to regain control here.

If nothing changes, then Cardano will have no other choice but to fall below $0.20 and maybe even re-test the key support at $0.15. While a consolidation period would be normal, it could give sellers a chance to return in force.

Looking ahead, ADA needs to find renewed interest from buyers if it wants to escape its current range between $0.23 and $0.15. Anything less would see bears take control again.

Source: TradingView Binance Coin (BNB) Binance Coin dropped a modest 2% this week after sellers reversed the price action around $780. Since then, BNB has been pulling back, and a test of support at $690 appears likely in the coming days.

Ideally, this cryptocurrency will hold above $690 if buyers want to maintain their advantage and momentum. Any price below this key level will see it turn into a resistance, which could push BNB much lower.

Looking ahead, even if the ongoing pullback turns into a more significant correction, this cryptocurrency will remain bullish as long as it can secure a higher low. That includes any price above $580, which is the next key support level.

Source: TradingView Hype (HYPE) Hyperliquid made a new record price at almost $90 last week. However, this week, the price pulled back and closed 10% lower. This is unfortunate, and if the current weekly bearish engulfing candle remains as it is, that will be a bad signal for the market.

Taken together, this suggests a bearish bias, at least in the short term, with key support at $76 and $70. Even so, as long as the price can stay above $70, the overall uptrend channel will remain intact.

Looking ahead, HYPE has continued to impress in 2026 despite any volatility, with consistently higher highs. A test of the $100 psychological level seems likely before any significant selling returns.

XRP narrows $10 billion gap to Binance Coin, eyes reclaim of third place
BNB BNB XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP is once again approaching Binance Coin (BNB) in the cryptocurrency market capitalization rankings, with the value gap narrowing to around $10 billion. Recent market figures indicate that XRP’s capitalization stands at approximately $85 billion, while BNB maintains about $95 billion. However, these values fluctuate continuously as prices shift.

XRP approaches BNB in capitalizationThe difference between XRP and BNB has proven to be highly volatile in the past weeks. On September 6, XRP reached a market capitalization of $89.3 billion, while BNB was valued at $100.2 billion, bringing the gap to roughly $10.9 billion. During a period of price strength for XRP earlier in September, the disparity between the two briefly narrowed to just $5 billion, raising speculation in the broader crypto community about a possible reshuffling of the top three cryptocurrencies by market cap.

XRP, a digital asset operating on the XRP Ledger, is primarily used for payments and cross-border transactions. Binance Coin, issued by the global cryptocurrency platform Binance, powers transactions and fee reductions within the Binance ecosystem and supports several decentralized finance applications.

Payment activity surges, but mixed network signalsRecent network statistics for XRP revealed a surge in payment-related activity. The volume of payments rose by 26% to 462.9 million XRP, while the overall number of payments increased 33.8% to almost 827,800 over the recent measurement period. The network also recorded an 8.8% rise in new accounts and a 1.3% uptick in active accounts.

Despite these gains, several key usage metrics moved in the opposite direction. Successful transactions on the XRP Ledger fell 37.5%. The number of active users declined 22.4%, and total transactions dropped by 29.1% to 1.8 million. These figures indicate that while payment activity has grown rapidly, overall participation across the network remains uneven.

Recent data shows payment volumes jumping more than 25% for XRP, but total transaction figures and active user counts are falling sharply, highlighting a divergence in network health metrics.

XRP now processes significantly higher payment volumes, yet other forms of on-chain activity have not kept pace. As a result, some market watchers view cost dynamics as the major variable influencing XRP’s next moves.

Price levels and potential for overtaking BNBCurrently, XRP trades near $1.36 following a recovery from an intraday low around $1.315. The asset sits close to a major long-term moving average at $1.355, which may act as support, with further dynamic support at $1.336. The relative strength index (RSI) stands close to 53, indicating neutral momentum.

Supply and capitalization math show that every $0.10 increase in XRP’s price adds about $6.27 billion to its market capitalization, based on the 62.74 billion tokens in circulation. Accordingly, it would take an additional $0.15 to $0.17 on the XRP price to close the present $10 billion gap with BNB, assuming BNB’s capitalization remains stable. However, if BNB appreciates simultaneously, the target for XRP rises.

AssetMarket CapitalizationPriceRequired Price Change to Close $10B GapBNB$95 billionVariableN/AXRP$85 billion$1.36+$0.15–$0.17 (if BNB stable)Momentum for XRP would increase if it were to recover past $1.45 and return toward the $1.50–$1.55 range observed in August. Such a move could lead to a much tighter contest for third place in the market-cap rankings, especially if BNB’s own price movement remains muted.

XRP to $1.85? Here's What Technical Analysis Says
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) could target $1.85 las it flashes early signs of a bullish shift, according to a widely-followed cryptocurrency trader.

Is XRP Turning Bullish?Cryptoinsightuk highlighted on Wednesday that XRP’s lower-time-frame structure is showing early signs of improvement after a prolonged pattern of lower highs and lower lows.

It recently broke above $1.39 and several previous lower highs, potentially marking a shift in market structure.

However, the trader currently considers XRP’s trend neutral rather than bullish.

A break above $1.48 could confirm a bullish shift, with $1.58 as the first target. If momentum continues, XRP could move toward the $1.70-$1.85 liquidity zone.

Trending

The trader also highlighted improving macro liquidity backdrop, pointing to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s discussion around potentially increasing bond purchases.

This could act as a potential tailwind for XRP and the broader crypto market.

Can XRP flip Bitcoin?Speaking on an X Space on Sept. 9, David Schwartz, Ripple’s former CTO, was asked whether XRP could realistically "flip" Bitcoin.

“Yes, I do,” Schwartz said, adding that such a move would not come from Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) shrinking but from XRP growing faster.

Schwartz argued that crypto markets can support multiple expanding assets, with relatively few disappearing entirely.

He sees the XRP Ledger’s functionality and speed as potential advantages that could help XRP gain ground over time.

Schwartz also pointed to demand for features that Bitcoin does not support as another potential driver of XRP Ledger adoption.

XRP must break $1.95 resistance to target new highs by 2027, JD says
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP has reclaimed key technical territory after months of downtrend, according to crypto analyst JD, who shared a detailed chart and outlook for the asset’s price prospects. JD, known for his market insights within the cryptocurrency community, highlighted a critical resistance level that could pave the way for new all-time highs if surpassed.

The downtrend and key reversalBetween July 2025 and mid-2026, XRP experienced a notable decline on its weekly chart, setting a consistent pattern of lower highs and lower lows. During this period, XRP fell from its all-time high of $3.65 to a low near $1. This level closely aligns with the 0.786 Fibonacci retracement mark at $1.0133, an area often regarded as technically significant by traders. The ongoing descent followed a pronounced falling wedge pattern, with price compressing toward the wedge’s lower boundary before showing signs of a reversal.

JD has emphasized the structure behind XRP’s recent movement, observing that the asset has now recorded its first higher high after a series of declines. Such a development can signal an early shift from a bearish to a potentially bullish structure.

After creating its first higher high in the recent sequence, XRP has demonstrated a significant technical breakout. If the asset breaks above the highlighted resistance zone, JD expects new all-time highs could be possible between 2027 and 2028.

Breakout and the path aheadJD’s analysis centers on the most recent weekly price action. After reaching the 0.786 Fibonacci support level, XRP reversed course, breaking above a longstanding descending trendline. In this move, XRP rose over 50% in less than three days. This surge pushed the price above the previous lower high, establishing the first higher high since the downtrend began. For technical analysts, the creation of a higher high after a prolonged downtrend is commonly interpreted as a sign of potential long-term reversal.

The critical level now in focus is a horizontal resistance zone, marked by JD as the “blue box,” spanning approximately $1.85 to $1.95. This area functioned as support throughout the previous downtrend before price action broke below it. JD has indicated that a decisive break and weekly close above this resistance could confirm the structural reversal and open the path toward new record prices in the coming years.

Currently, XRP trades at $1.4242, roughly $0.40 to $0.50 below this resistance zone. The challenge for bulls lies in reclaiming this critical area to shift the longer-term outlook. JD’s timeline for potential all-time highs, contingent on this breakout, targets the 2027–2028 window.

Price LevelTechnical Significance$1.01330.786 Fibonacci retracement, major support$1.85–$1.95Key resistance (“blue box”)$3.65All-time highMini dictionary: Fibonacci retracement, a technical analysis tool, is used to identify potential support and resistance levels based on key percentages derived from the Fibonacci sequence. The 0.786 retracement is often watched by traders for major trend reversals.

Profit-taking strategy and market sentimentJD has addressed how he plans to approach the next cycle, emphasizing caution. He observed that many investors may miss out on gains during major rallies, and reaffirmed his strategy of taking profits as price approaches significant highs, a move he executed at the top of the previous cycle. JD pointed to 2027–2028 as his window for the next cycle top, but underscored that the blue box around $1.85–$1.95 remains the immediate hurdle for the asset.

JD cautioned that even during substantial bull cycles, many investors can miss optimal profit-taking opportunities. He aims to use his experience to exit positions near the next predicted peak.

BTC, XRP, ETH: Republicans Introduce New Version of Key Crypto Bill
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Senate Republicans have circulated a new 630-page version of the CLARITY Act just days before a critical procedural vote.

The legislation is highly consequential for the broader cryptocurrency market, including Bitcoin, XRP and Ethereum.

Journalist Brendan Pedersen reported Thursday that the latest text remains a Republican proposal rather than a bipartisan agreement.

HOT Stories

According to Pedersen, Democrats who have shown interest in crypto legislation remain skeptical, with one Democratic aide describing the unresolved ethics dispute as the “biggest stumbling block by far.”

"This latest proposal does nothing to resolve those concerns," the aide said.

That could become a decisive problem next week. The Senate’s cloture motion on the motion to proceed to the CLARITY Act is scheduled to ripen on Sept. 15 at 2:15 p.m. ET. This is a procedural vote to advance consideration of the legislation rather than a final vote on passage.

Key revisions The updated draft draws a distinction between genuinely decentralized protocols and what it calls "non-decentralized finance trading protocols." Merely participating in a decentralized governance mechanism or an incident-response security council does not automatically amount to control.

At the same time, the bill retains significant protections for software developers.

You Might Also Like

The revised DeFi language also explicitly focuses parts of the regime on digital-commodity cash and spot markets.

Another notable revision strengthens language concerning credit unions. Regulators, including the National Credit Union Administration, would retain their supervisory and enforcement powers.

The bill also makes technical changes to the GENIUS Act intended to put credit-union accounts on more equal footing with bank deposits when dealing with tokenized financial products.

Sept. 15 becomes the key testThe updated draft therefore changes some of the regulatory mechanics of the CLARITY Act without resolving the political dispute most likely to decide whether the legislation can advance.

The next major test comes Sept. 15, when the Senate is expected to consider cloture on the motion to proceed.

With the current text still lacking bipartisan support, Republicans will have to persuade enough Democrats to allow debate to move forward.

Charles Schwab discloses $4.8 million in XRP ETF collateral holdings

CoinGecko News
Original source text
The institutional adoption of XRP-based ETFs has taken a step forward with a recent filing from Charles Schwab revealing that shares of XRP-focused exchange-traded funds are being used as collateral assets. The filing, dated September 8, detailed nearly $4.8 million in positions connected to XRP ETFs.

Institutional Holdings and Collateral UsageCharles Schwab’s Form N-MFP3 filing for the Schwab Prime Advantage Money Fund included explicit mention of XRP-related ETFs held as collateral. The documentation showed that Grayscale XRP Trust ETF shares held as collateral totaled approximately $1.01 million.

The same filing listed about $3.06 million in Canary XRP ETF shares and around $702,000 in Franklin XRP ETF shares. Combined, the three ETF positions reached roughly $4.8 million worth of collateralized holdings.

It is important to clarify that the presence of XRP ETF shares as collateral does not mean Schwab purchased these ETF shares for its money market fund. These positions may represent securities posted as collateral in lending arrangements or other financial operations.

Beyond Schwab’s disclosures, Clear Creek Financial Management reported holding 11,621 shares of the Bitwise XRP ETF as of June 30. Leisure Capital Management included 16,745 shares of Franklin XRP ETF in its second quarter portfolio.

While individual allocations to XRP ETFs remain modest compared to overall portfolio sizes, the increasing frequency of such holdings indicates that XRP-based investment products are gradually finding a place in the toolkit of institutional managers seeking exposure to regulated digital assets.

Expanding Institutional Access to XRPThe latest filing from Charles Schwab brings to light a broader trend: XRP ETF shares are not just being passively held, but also actively used as collateral in different institutional contexts. This suggests a diversification of utility for XRP-based funds beyond direct price speculation.

By utilizing ETFs as collateral, institutions are able to incorporate XRP exposure through regulated investment vehicles, shaping new ways to access the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Such activity could reflect a growing reliance on professional-grade tools to track, monitor, and deploy digital asset portfolios.

In a market where a single Fed decision or a sudden altcoin listing can change everything in seconds, managing assets and tracking trends efficiently has become critical for investors. Smart traders are now utilizing privacy-first tools like CryptoAppsy to consolidate everything. Without even the hassle of creating an account, you get real-time charts, smart price alerts, coin-specific news, and critical macro data all on one screen.

Increased transparency through public filings provides deeper insight into the evolving structure of institutional digital asset portfolios and how ETF products are being leveraged for a range of strategic objectives. Ongoing reporting could reveal whether usage of XRP ETFs as collateral or direct holdings will continue to expand.

Technical Analysis Points to Market ShiftWhile institutional interest appears to be rising, technical signals are drawing attention among analysts tracking the XRP price.

Crypto analyst ChartNerd is observing a bullish crossover in the two-week moving average convergence divergence (MACD) for XRP, a momentum indicator that has previously marked key market bottoms. The analyst notes that although the signal does not guarantee an immediate rally, it could indicate a shift in technical momentum in XRP’s favor in the coming period.

Historically, bullish MACD crossovers at multi-week intervals were followed by a retracement phase before price appreciation, as seen during the 2022 market cycle when XRP experienced a 45% pullback before moving higher. Nevertheless, there is no assurance that past performance will repeat.

The combination of rising institutional engagement and technical developments keeps XRP under close watch. Investors are reminded that digital asset markets remain highly volatile and previous trends are not predictors of future outcomes.

Ripple Treasury Expands GSmart AI Across Enterprise Treasury Operations
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
TLDR: Ripple Treasury expands GSmart AI across forecasting, liquidity, risk, reconciliation, and reporting tools. GSmart uses deterministic financial engines while AI interprets policies and explains treasury recommendations. Risk Insights has reached 60% of eligible Ripple Treasury customers, according to the company. Forecast Insights now reaches 44% of eligible customers and tracks emerging liquidity gaps. Ripple Treasury has expanded GSmart AI with new tools aimed at enterprise treasury operations. The update adds AI capabilities across forecasting, liquidity, risk, reconciliation, and reporting.

GSmart keeps financial calculations deterministic while allowing AI to interpret policies, data, and recommendations. The expansion comes as companies seek wider AI adoption without giving up human control over financial decisions.

Ripple Treasury Expands GSmart AI Capabilities GSmart already operates across Ripple Treasury’s enterprise customer base, according to the company. The latest expansion adds policy-governed agents for several core treasury processes.

Each agent monitors its assigned process and proposes a specific action. It also cites the relevant policy clause before sending the recommendation for human approval.

Knowledge Studio provides the governance layer behind these workflows. Treasury teams can define policies and controls that guide how GSmart operates.

The system checks proposed actions against those controls before presenting them to a person. Financial teams therefore retain approval authority over treasury actions.

Ripple Treasury SVP Renaat Ver Eecke said the approach keeps AI within existing treasury policies. He also described the system as Treasury-Native AI rather than a separate AI layer.

Every CFO I speak with is thinking about AI. The harder question isn’t whether to adopt it, it’s how to ensure confidence and clarity of AI within critical financial operations. That question is especially important in treasury, where governance, explainability, and human…

— Renaat Ver Eecke (@rvereecke) September 10, 2026

GSmart AI Adds Forecasting, Risk and Treasury Analytics The expansion also includes Analytics Studio and its Ask GSmart assistant. The tool lets treasury teams retrieve information and insights from their financial data through conversational queries.

Ripple Treasury reported adoption across its eligible customer base. Risk Insights has been enabled by 60% of eligible customers, according to the company.

Risk Insights identifies exposure anomalies and policy breaches for treasury teams. Forecast Insights has also reached 44% of eligible customers.

Forecast Insights compares expected and actual cash flows to identify emerging liquidity gaps. Those tools extend GSmart’s role beyond data interpretation into ongoing treasury workflows.

Ripple cited a governance challenge facing enterprises as AI agents spread. Gartner projects that the average Fortune 500 company could use more than 150,000 agents by 2028.

Only 13% of organizations currently believe they have suitable AI agent governance, according to Gartner. Ripple says GSmart addresses that gap by separating financial calculations from AI interpretation.

Deterministic engines handle financial calculations, while AI interprets policies, detects patterns, and explains recommendations. The approach keeps people responsible for approving financial decisions as Ripple expands AI across treasury operations.

Iran-Linked Ripple XRP Study Reveals Surprising Facts As US-Iran War Escalates
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
The US-Iran war escalations have brought back an Iran-backed study on Ripple’s XRP and it’s use for cross-border payments and XRP. The recent conflict has led brought sanctions and international transfers, as well as other financial issues into spotlight, which has turned heads towards XRP.

Iran-Based Ripple XRP Research Uncovers Market Shock Stimulations However, the Iran-based doesn’t necessarily indicate that Iran will use XRP. It also doesn’t mention the current conflict as it’s a report from 2021. But because of its emphasis on “fast, cheap and adaptable” international settlement, the report on Ripple XRP is taking on a new meaning in the context of the ongoing geopolitical crisis.

For further context, the study approaches the future of Ripple’s XRP in the field of international transfers in a somewhat quantitative way. It has several models, and uses “Monte Carlo simulations (10,000 paths).”

Some of these include the “Hidden Markov Model (HMM)” and the “Heston stochastic volatility model.” The researchers also include “95% VaR and CVaR”, which is used to analyse potential downside risk.

It’s not a payment structure based on a single payment method either, per the report. Moreover, the research looks at three RippleNet corridors: USD/MXN, EUR/NGN and JPY/KRW.

A snapshot from the Iran-based XRP research. Source: X In addition, the researchers added “3σ jump detection” to the model to be able to recognize and identify particularly large XRP price jumps in extreme market situations. Then the study looks at how payment routing might evolve to meet those evolving circumstances.

That is important because cross-border settlement is not occurring in a vacuum. When using a volatile digital asset like Ripple XRP, a payment system must deal with the unexpected moves of the market. Additionally, it must simultaneously ensure transactions are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

US-Iran War Gives Old XRP Research A New Audience Further, the timing of the Iran-linked Ripple XRP study is crucial as the US-Iran war is taking a new turn.

The research is associated with an Iranian academic institution. Thus, the current US-Iran war has brought back the discussion on sanctions, international payments and reliance on traditional financial systems.

This is not to be interpreted as Iranian policy. It did not suggest that Iran would be using XRP for payment. Also, there was no mention in the paper of the researchers suggesting XRP as a payment system for the Iranian government. On the other hand, Iran is using Bitcoin and Tether payments to carry on trade amid sanctions.

Instead, the paper poses a much larger question: how will Ripple’s XRP-based settlement fare during market volatility?

The solution it offers is a framework focused on volatility and risk and adaptive routing. The older research is now being read by geopolitical pundits, as alternative payments systems are now coming into focus.

XRP News: XRP Ledger Eyes Major v3.4.0 Upgrade With Lending Protocol Next Week
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
The XRP Ledger is on a path to another major software upgrade as the network looks forward to an upcoming release of its Lending Protocol: XRPL 3.4.0. To further bolster the network’s Decentralized Finance (DeFi) capabilities, Lending Protocol v1.1 will be included in the upcoming release, marking another significant addition to the XRPL ecosystem.

XRP Ledger Lending Amendment Nears Launch XRPL dUNL validator Vet also has pointed out the upgrade, stating that the new version will enhance “important aspects” of Lending Protocol v1.0. This is in line with the ongoing validator voting process for the current Lending Protocol amendment. This is as the current Lending Protocol amendment proceeds through the Validator voting process.

According to the XRP Ledger amendment tracker, the Lending Protocol amendment is currently open for voting with 31.43% of the tokens cast. The change aims to allow for uncollateralized lending on the blockchain in fixed terms, with pooled funds from a Single Asset Vault.

The system leverages off-chain underwriting and risk management to assess borrowers and support customisable p-to-p loans. It comes under the XLS-66 specification.

The other LendingProtocolV1_1 contract is in “In Development” status. The revision adds enhancements and fixes to the original protocol such as MemoData field added to VaultDelete transaction.

The XRP Ledger Lending protocol will receive v1.1 update in XRPL 3.4.0 next week.

It improves on important aspects of Lending v1.0 and has to come together with v1.1 .

Hence, it is a significant release for developers following the XRP Ledger lending ecosystem. But, the current voting percentage doesn’t guarantee activation unless 80% consensus is reached.

The Ripple-backed XRP Ledger Lending Protocol and Single Asset Vault will keep on upgrading, Vet said. Moreover, he described these amendments as a “dynamic feature protocol that gains functionalities over time.”

XRPL 3.4.0 Advances Through Beta After the XRPL v3.3.0 release, the iconic XRP Ledger 3.4.0 development cycle has already made it to a first-beta milestone. For context, XRPLF has made develop branch 3.4.0-b1 on August 24, following merging of PR #8102.

The bump itself was a version of the software from 3.4.0-b0 to 3.4.0-b1. It did not create a new transaction type, amendment definition, RPC method or ledger rule.

This is noteworthy since 3.4.0-b1 is not a stable public release or proof of a Mainnet activation.

Meanwhile, XRPL Operations is hosting an X Space focused on the Lending Protocol on September 11 at 1 p.m. EST. XRPL Foundation CTO Angell Denis, RippleX executives Ayo Akinyele and Jazzi Cooper, and RippleX engineer Vito Tumas are among the scheduled participants.

With the XRP Ledger Lending Protocol’s transition to next phase of development, the discussion will cover why it matters, what’s new and what it unlocks.

XRP crypto analyst price projection reaches $60—but one major hurdle comes first
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
A crypto analyst has projected that XRP could eventually reach $60, although the forecast depends on it first clearing a much closer—and difficult—price barrier.

The projection arrived as former Ripple executive David Schwartz said XRP could one day overtake Bitcoin. But XRP did not look like it was going towards that prediction as of the time of this writing on Thursday 10 September, falling to around $1.35.

Why is an analyst projecting a $60 XRP price? Analyst Ali Martinez believes XRP could reach $60 if it produces a monthly close above $3.66. His forecast is based on the idea that such a move would end a long period in which XRP has struggled to make lasting progress beyond its previous highs.

For this to happen, XRP would need to rise nearly 170% from its current price to even reach $3.66 and would jump almost 4,000% to take it from $1.35 to $60.

There have also been comments from Ripple’s chief technology officer, David Schwartz.

Schwartz was asked, in an X Spaces discussion, if XRP could take over BTC in total market value, and he said it was possible. He said that for that to happen,  XRP would have to grow faster, not that Bitcoin would lose value.

It wouldn’t happen from Bitcoin shrinking. It would happen from XRP growing faster than Bitcoin.

Schwartz said that the speed and wider range of functions offered by XRP Ledger may lead to faster future growth. However, unlike the analyst, he did not give a target of $60 or when it might overtake Bitcoin.

XRP price faces a more immediate test During the most recent trading session, XRP fell 3.24% to about $1.35, pushing XRP below $1.40, where buyers and sellers have been competing for control.

The price is currently sitting near $1.34 – $1.35, and if this fails, then $1.30 could be the next number buyers look to defend.

Any recovery would first need to take XRP back above $1.40. It could then face another challenge between $1.45 and $1.50, an area that has repeatedly stopped recent advances.

Source: TradingView XRP is also trading with caution in the larger market ahead of fresh US inflation data, which could weigh on the expectations for interest rates and thereby affect the demand for cryptos.

Final Summary David Schwartz said XRP could eventually overtake Bitcoin. The $60 target is only possible if XRP manages to close above $3.66, but for now, the challenge is holding onto $1.35.

XRP Faces Key Test as Historical Pattern Points to Possible Pullback
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP's weekly Super Trend turned bullish in August, but the same signal preceded sharp corrections in three earlier cycles.

XRP’s weekly Super Trend indicator flipped bullish on August 17, after the token rallied about 70% from $0.98 to $1.70.

The catch, according to analyst ChartNerd, is that this exact signal has marked local tops before deep pullbacks in every previous cycle going back to 2019, and XRP is already stalling at the resistance level that decided those earlier setups.

XRP’s Bullish Signal Meets Resistance ChartNerd’s analysis centers on what happened after XRP hit roughly $0.98 and then recovered. The token moved about 70% toward $1.70, where it ran into the 50-week EMA, currently around $1.52. At the same time, the token has been trading between that resistance and the 20-week EMA near $1.29 to $1.30.

“Whilst beneath the 50 and above the 20, we’re simply compressing,” ChartNerd said, describing the recent price action as a period of chop while traders wait for a clearer direction.

That caution comes from XRP’s earlier cycle history. In 2022, it rallied about 90% from its cycle low before a bullish Super Trend flip appeared around the 50-week EMA. The move was followed by a 45% correction.

In 2019, another bullish flip during the bear market was followed by a 56% correction, and after the 2020 cycle low, XRP also printed a bullish flip before falling 32%.

ChartNerd argues this pattern has appeared often enough to warrant caution. “Bullish super trends usually mark local tops,” the analyst said, while stressing that historical behavior does not guarantee the same outcome this time.

You may also like: XRP Futures Just Posted Their Biggest Month in 6 Months: Here’s What Changed Crypto Holders Turn to Loans as Markets Cool in 2026: CQ 8 in a Row: Ripple (XRP) ETFs Record Another Green Week but Warning Signs Return He also placed a greater structural change around $1.90, noting that XRP would need to clear the $1.50 to $1.90 zone before the move toward its previous high looks more convincing.

A short-term push above $1.52 is still possible, the analyst said. But even a close above the 50-week EMA would not automatically remove the historical warning.

Price Has Stayed Choppy This Week As CryptoPotato reported earlier, XRP dipped toward $1.39 during one leg of Bitcoin’s recent slide before buyers stepped back in to push it to $1.44.

At the time of writing, it had gone back down close to 4% in the last 24 hours and was again trading near $1.38, according to CoinGecko. It is up 1.5% over the past week but down more than 53% from a year ago, and it also remains about 62% below its all-time high of $3.65 from July 2025.

Bitcoin has been chopping between $77,600 and $80,000 over the past few days, and XRP’s swings have largely tracked that back and forth rather than moving on their own.

The Ripple token’s futures volume also picked up in August, with trading across the three biggest exchanges topping $64 billion, the busiest month in half a year.

Spot XRP ETFs kept adding money too, although the pace slowed a lot, with weekly inflows dropping to just under $19 million last week after bringing in more than $110 million the week before. So far this week, SoSoValue data shows net inflows have hit about $13.83 million.

Former Ripple CTO Makes Surprising XRP Prediction
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
David Schwartz, the longtime architect of the XRP Ledger and Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer emeritus, said publicly this week that XRP could one day overtake Bitcoin by market capitalization.

Speaking during a recent X Spaces discussion, Schwartz answered a direct question about whether such a “flippening” was possible. “Yeah, I do,” he replied, adding a key caveat.

Follow us on X to get the latest news as it happens.

Why Schwartz Thinks Growth, Not Collapse, Could Do ItIt wouldn’t happen from Bitcoin shrinking, Schwartz said. It would happen from XRP growing faster than Bitcoin.

He framed the scenario within a broader expansion of the digital-asset market, arguing that in a future where crypto as a whole becomes far larger, top assets could all rise in value rather than simply competing for a fixed share of capital.

“But I think it wouldn’t happen from Bitcoin shrinking. It would happen from XRP growing faster than Bitcoin,” David Schwartz said.

The advantages he highlighted center on technical design. The XRP Ledger was built from the start as a faster, more scalable payments network than Bitcoin, with higher transaction speed and functionality that Bitcoin’s base layer cannot support.

Those characteristics, Schwartz argued, could let XRPL attract users and capital seeking capabilities beyond simple store-of-value transfers.

Historical context supports the idea that XRP has closed large gaps before. In late 2017 and early 2018, XRP briefly became the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, surpassing Ethereum and narrowing the distance to Bitcoin during that bull run.

XRP Briefly Surpassed Ethereum by Market Cap in 2018. Source: ForbesThe Math Behind a Bitcoin Flip TodaySchwartz has also recalled selling some XRP near $0.10 because the price already felt extraordinarily high relative to earlier levels around $0.006, much as $100 Bitcoin once seemed absurd.

Today, the numerical gap remains substantial. Bitcoin traded near $77,165 on September 10, with a market cap of around $1.54 trillion, while XRP traded near $1.35, with a market cap of around $85 billion, putting Bitcoin roughly 18x larger.

Matching Bitcoin’s current valuation would require XRP to trade near $24.50, assuming Bitcoin’s market cap holds steady and using XRP’s circulating supply of approximately 62.7 billion tokens. Should Bitcoin continue growing, the target price for a flip would rise accordingly.

Bitcoin vs XRP – Market Cap (YTD). Source: CoinGeckoSchwartz did not present the outcome as inevitable or imminent. His comments amount to a conditional possibility rooted in relative technological strengths and overall market expansion, rather than any expected collapse of Bitcoin.

The remarks have nonetheless energized parts of the XRP community, even as they underscore the still-wide gulf separating the two assets today.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP Crash As US PPI Soars To 5.4%, Fed Rate Hike Odds Hit 74%
BTC Bitcoin ETH Ethereum XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP resumed their declines on Thursday following new U.S. inflation data that raised expectations the Federal Reserve would hike rates at the next meeting. The September 15-16 FOMC meeting could be weighed on risk assets on the crypto market.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP Witness Major Pullback Economists had forecast a 0.4% increase in the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Producer Price Index (PPI) this month, which matches the reported figure. Producer prices rose 5.4% on an annual basis, just a bit higher than the consensus of 5.3%.

In the meantime, the Core PPI inflation reading ticked up 0.2% month-on-month, reversing a 0.3% drop. The Core PPI was unchanged on the yeay basis, which is in line with the forecast. Despite some cooling of underlying price growth, the report said inflationary pressures are still high.

The major cryptocurrencies have seen selling following the inflation report. Bitcoin price dropped around 2.7% in the last 24 hours and currently is trading at $77,300. XRP fell about 3.9% to just over $1.37, while Ethereum tumbled around 2.1% to $2,450.

Bitcoin price chart today. Source: TradingView The 1-hour BTC price chart also showed signs of increased bearish momentum. Bitcoin made multiple attempts to test the $79,000-$80,000 resistance zone without any success. However, it eventually traded below the $77,500 support line, making a new lower low. The current sharp red candle indicates that sellers took control since the release of inflation data and is now increasing the potential for further declines if buyers are unable to support the price.

Fed Rate Hike Odds Rise After U.S. PPI Report Markets are now turning a greater focus on the Federal Reserve’s Sept. 15-16 FOMC meeting. After the U.S. PPI was released, the CME FedWatch tool had traders pricing in a 74% chance of the Fed hiking rates to a 3.75%-4.00% range, down from 80% prior to the release, and a 26% chance of a 3.50%-3.75% range, up from 20%.

When interest rates are high, it tends to be more negative for cryptocurrencies, as a higher interest rate would make the U.S. dollar stronger and Treasury yields higher, lowering demand for risk assets. Friday’s CPI report is also on the market’s radar as it could further impact expectations on the Fed’s decision, and drive more selling pressure on Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP or ease.

Bitcoin falls to $77,300, Ethereum and XRP test key supports as momentum cools
BTC Bitcoin ETH Ethereum XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency, slipped to around $77,300 after failing to maintain its rally above the $80,000 to $81,000 zone. A short-term correction has now set in as BTC continues a pattern of lower highs following its recent peak. Analysts highlight the $76,000 to $77,000 band as a critical support level as technical momentum indicators continue to weaken.

Bitcoin’s correction and support zonesOn the daily chart, Bitcoin is displaying subdued momentum following a strong August breakout. Key dynamic support is seen near $75,967, while the main moving averages—at $72,863, $70,675, and $70,417—sit further below, providing deeper fallback levels in the event of continued selling pressure.

Despite recent downside, the structure set by Bitcoin’s August rally remains technically intact. However, the RSI has dropped to about 55.5 after overheating in overbought territory, and its position below the signal average of 66 signals waning momentum.

Should BTC slide below $76,000 to $77,000, traders will look to the $72,800 to $73,000 area for more durable support. Conversely, any convincing recovery above $79,000 could set up another move toward $80,000 or higher.

Traders see the $76,000 to $77,000 area as crucial for Bitcoin’s short-term outlook, emphasizing that a loss of this level could bring further downside risk.

Market participants also note a rise in bond yields and oil prices leading up to key U.S. inflation data and next week’s Federal Reserve decision.

Ethereum consolidates after August rallyEthereum remains in a consolidation phase after surging from around $1,900 to over $2,500 in August. ETH is currently priced at $2,441, well above its major moving averages at $2,190, $2,148, and $2,115, but facing resistance at the $2,500 to $2,560 band. The dynamic support region is at $2,362, helping maintain the post-breakout structure.

Reuters has described the current Ethereum pattern as a potential bull flag, though momentum is fading as the RSI has contracted from overbought levels to approximately 58. The repeated inability to break above $2,500 and a sliding RSI underline short-term challenges for bulls.

Analysts suggest that holding support between $2,360 and $2,400 is key for Ethereum to preserve its positive setup, while a daily close beneath $2,350 could lead to a sharper correction.

A close above $2,560 may clear a path to $2,600 and higher resistance levels. Investors will also be watching for U.S. CPI data, which could influence market direction.

XRP tests critical price clusterXRP, issued by Ripple Labs, has pulled back to trade at $1.36, retreating from recent highs following its August surge above $1.50. The token is now testing a vital technical zone between $1.33 and $1.36, with its long-term moving average at $1.355 and short-term dynamic support hovering near $1.337.

After reaching $1.70 in August, XRP buyers have been unable to sustain a move above $1.50, with subsequent lower highs observed at $1.45, $1.43, and $1.41. The RSI, now around 53.5, has dipped below its signal average, reflecting reduced momentum but remaining in neutral territory.

If XRP closes below $1.33, technical analysts see scope for a correction toward $1.24 or even test deeper moving averages at $1.21. Bulls need to reclaim the $1.40 to $1.42 zone to regain positive traction, with another push above $1.45 required to revisit late-August highs.

Shiba Inu’s momentum breaks downShiba Inu (SHIB) has weakened after falling about 3.2%, currently trading near $0.00000509. The loss of a key rising trendline, established since late August, marks a shift in SHIB’s recovery narrative. The token is now resting on immediate support between $0.0000049 and $0.0000050, with moving averages clustered at $0.00000517, $0.00000504, and $0.00000494.

Momentum has deteriorated, as evidenced by an RSI at 48.2—below both its signal average of 54.8 and the neutral 50 threshold. SHIB’s primary resistance sits between $0.00000565 and $0.00000570, a level it failed to decisively breach during the August spike.

A breakdown below $0.0000049 could open the door to $0.0000046 or the August base at $0.0000044. For a meaningful recovery, the token must reclaim $0.0000053, while overcoming $0.0000056 to $0.0000057 remains necessary for a sustained bullish shift.

Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP and Shiba Inu (SHIB) Price Analysis For September 11: Bears May Take the Upper Hand
BTC Bitcoin ETH Ethereum SHIB Shiba Inu XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Bitcoin (BTC): Bitcoin is correcting around $77,300 after failing above $80,000–$81,000, with $76,000–$77,000 acting as key support while short-term momentum weakens.

Ethereum (ETH): Ethereum is consolidating around $2,441 below $2,500–$2,560 resistance, while holding $2,360–$2,400 keeps its August breakout structure intact.

XRP (XRP): XRP is testing critical $1.33–$1.36 support after losing momentum from its August rally, with a break below $1.33 potentially opening a deeper correction toward $1.24.

Shiba Inu (SHIB): Shiba Inu has broken its rising trendline and is testing $0.0000049–$0.0000050 support, with weak momentum leaving the token vulnerable to a return toward $0.0000046–$0.0000044.

Bitcoin is set for a correctionAfter failing to break above the $80,000–$81,000 range, Bitcoin is about to enter a brief correction. On the daily chart, BTC is trading at about $77,300, continuing a series of lower highs from the most recent peak above $81,000. Bond yields and oil prices have increased significantly ahead of U.S. inflation statistics and the Federal Reserve's decision next week.

BTC/USDT Chart by TradingViewIn technical terms, the correction is still quite limited. The closest dynamic support for Bitcoin is located around $75,967, and the major moving averages — roughly $72,863, $70,675, and $70,417 — remain significantly lower.

This indicates that despite the most recent selling, the August breakout structure remains valid. However, momentum has significantly decreased. After entering overbought territory, the RSI has dropped to about 55.5. More significantly, the RSI is currently below its signal average, which is close to 66, indicating that the impulse that drove the August rally has subsided.

You Might Also Like

Therefore, the immediate level to watch is the $76,000–$77,000 range. If it were lost, $72,800–$73,000 would be exposed, where there is more robust dynamic support.

On the other hand, recovering $79,000 would give Bitcoin another chance to target $80,000–$82,000. According to current market data, a significant short-term support region is approximately $77,000.

Can Ethereum return stronger?Ethereum's post-breakout position is still strong, but it is displaying a very similar structure. Following its dramatic August move from roughly $1,900 to above $2,500, ETH is currently trading at $2,441 on the provided chart. The key difference is that Ethereum is still well above its major moving averages.

ETH/USDT Chart by TradingViewLonger-term averages cluster around $2,190, $2,148, and $2,115, while the closest dynamic support is at $2,362. As a result, the August breakout structure is still intact. Below the $2,500–$2,560 resistance range, ETH has begun to consolidate.

After a 37% increase, Reuters also notes that the current structure may be a bull flag, with the bullish setup significantly weakening below roughly $2,350–$2,360. A portion of the excess created by the vertical August rally has been eliminated as the RSI has cooled to about 58 from overbought levels.

You Might Also Like

However, weakening short-term momentum is indicated by the declining RSI and repeated failures around $2,500. The constructive structure would be maintained if $2,400–$2,360 were held.

A daily close below about $2,350 would seriously damage the current setup, whereas a breakout above $2,560 could reopen $2,600 and eventually higher resistance levels. U.S. macro conditions, with the CPI due on Friday, may dictate which side of this consolidation breaks first.

XRP under scrutinyAfter losing steam following the August breakout, XRP is now testing one of the most significant technical areas on its daily chart. The asset is currently trading at $1.36, which is significantly below the local peak above $1.50 and down about 2.3% on the day.

The cluster of support immediately beneath the price is the crucial factor. While the shorter dynamic average is at $1.337, XRP is nearly exactly on the long-term moving average at $1.355. As a result, the immediate battlefield is the $1.33–$1.36 area. The August rally significantly altered the structure of XRP.

XRP/USDT Chart by TradingViewThe price surged from about $1.00, surpassed all major moving averages, and momentarily reached $1.70. However, buyers were unable to sustain momentum above $1.50. Since then, XRP has set a series of lower highs, including $1.45, $1.43, and $1.41.

You Might Also Like

The loss of momentum is confirmed by the RSI. While its signal average is still around 60.8, it has dropped to about 53.5. Since this is still neutral rather than oversold territory, XRP may decline further before traditional momentum indicators point to exhaustion.

The post-breakout structure would be significantly weakened and a correction toward $1.24 could begin if the daily close fell below $1.33. The next significant moving average appears at about $1.21 below that.

Recovering $1.40–$1.42 is the first prerequisite for bulls. The recent $1.52–$1.55 highs would become relevant again if there were a break above $1.45.

Will Shiba Inu survive the pressure?Shiba Inu looks more vulnerable. After declining by about 3.2%, SHIB is currently trading close to $0.00000509. The most recent decline broke below the rising trendline that had supported the token's recovery since late August. After bouncing from roughly $0.0000044, SHIB had established a recognizable sequence of higher lows, which makes that trendline failure significant.

SHIB/USDT Chart by TradingViewBefore sellers took back control, the structure pushed the token in the direction of $0.0000055. A dense moving-average cluster has now been reached by the price. Nearby averages are shown on the chart at $0.00000517, $0.00000504, and $0.00000494. As a result, the $0.0000049–$0.0000050 zone represents the most obvious immediate support.

You Might Also Like

Additionally, momentum has declined. The RSI is currently at 48.2, which is below both its signal average of 54.8 and the neutral 50 level. Buyers currently have little momentum advantage, in contrast to the August surge.

The biggest barrier is still located between $0.00000565 and $0.00000570, where SHIB's long-term moving average is still declining. During the August spike, the price was unable to establish itself above this region.

SHIB may return to $0.0000046 and ultimately the August base around $0.0000044 if $0.0000049 fails. A sustained move above $0.0000056–$0.0000057 is required for SHIB to produce a more convincing bullish structural change, but recovering $0.0000053 would improve the short-term picture.

Bitcoin, XRP, Solana, Dogecoin Remain Rangebound: Why Has the Rally Stalled?
BTC Bitcoin DOGE Dogecoin SOL Solana XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
In the first week of September, Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) traded in a tight range while XRP (CRYPTO: XRP), Solana (CRYPTO: SOL) and Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) outperformed as leverage shifted towards altcoins ahead of a busy macro week.

Why Is BTC Rangebound?Bitcoin has traded between $77,100 and $81,300 over the past 20 trading sessions, with most recent activity concentrated near the middle of the range.

The $77,100 level is now key support making it one of Bitcoin’s highest-volume trading levels of 2026. It is also where BTC broke down in May.

A drop below could weaken the medium-term uptrend. A break above $81,300 could quickly push Bitcoin toward $86,500.

Trending

Bitcoin has seen little trading between $81,300 and $86,500, creating a potential "volume vacuum," Bitfinex said on Sept. 9

Selling pressure has also been well absorbed, with aggregate Spent Output Profit Ratio, near 1.002, indicating Bitcoin is broadly changing hands around break-even.

About 69%-71% of Bitcoin’s supply is in profit, still below the 74.7% level that has historically signaled a shift from bear to bull market.

That suggests the current move remains a bear-market relief phase until the threshold is decisively crossed.

XRP, SOL, DOGE Join Altcoin RotationBitcoin’s subdued volatility has created a much different environment across the broader crypto market.

All 29 of the largest liquid crypto pairs gained between Sept. 1 and Sept. 8, delivering a median return of 10.2% compared with Bitcoin’s 1.4% gain.

Dogecoin climbed 10.3%, while XRP gained 4.9% and Solana advanced 3.4%. Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) rose 2.8%.

Polkadot led major altcoins with a 43% surge, followed by Zcash at 42%, Kaspa at 28.8%, Near at 23% and Bittensor at 17.4%.

The rotation pushed Bitcoin dominance down from 60.4% to 59.2% since the beginning of September.

More importantly, aggregate open interest in altcoin perpetual futures surpassed Bitcoin open interest this week for the first time since December 2024.

The combination of sideways Bitcoin prices, neutral funding and rising altcoin leverage has historically created favorable conditions for speculative capital to move further out on the risk curve.

But that comes with a warning.

A similar setup emerged in December 2024 when altcoin open interest overtook Bitcoin’s. A subsequent market decline triggered $1.7 billion in liquidations in a single day, with altcoins accounting for 91% of the positions wiped out.

That makes the current rise in altcoin breadth both an indication of improving risk appetite and a potential leverage warning.

Ripple CEO compares $10 billion DNB gold move with instant crypto transfers
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse contrasted the Dutch central bank’s recent gold transfer with the rapid transaction capabilities of digital assets. Garlinghouse highlighted that De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) spent nearly six months, from March to August, to relocate 86 tonnes of gold reserves—amounting to approximately $11 billion—out of storage in New York and Ottawa to London. DNB is the central bank of the Netherlands, responsible for monetary stability and financial oversight.

DNB’s gold transfer and its purposeDNB stated the move aimed to improve crisis preparedness and increase the liquidity of reserves by shifting a larger portion of gold to London, regarded as the world’s key physical-gold market. Of the 86 tonnes transferred, around 59 tonnes were sold in New York and simultaneously repurchased in London; the remainder moved physically, with roughly 27 tonnes routed via the Netherlands to avoid melting the bars.

After the move, Dutch gold is now split with London holding about 32%, the Netherlands 31%, and New York and Ottawa about 18.5% each. DNB Governor Olaf Sleijpen acknowledged that, while the bank does not expect to deploy its gold reserves, enhancing the speed and flexibility of access remains a priority.

DNB described the operation as complex, requiring months of logistical planning and traditional documentation, a process that historically would not be out of place in the mid-20th century.

Comparison with other central banks and digital approachesGarlinghouse compared the DNB operation with Germany’s 2013 gold repatriation, where Bundesbank repatriated 674 tonnes—valued at $36 billion at the time—from Paris and New York over four years.

He argued that, despite these lengthy processes, the past decade has seen the crypto sector grow dramatically from a $1.5 billion experiment to a $2.7 trillion market, matched by notable progress in technology such as AI, autonomous vehicles, and satellite internet.

The Ripple CEO asserted that precise, near-instant transfers of value are now possible digitally, removing the need for prolonged logistics and extensive paperwork.

Garlinghouse promoted the practical advantages of digital asset infrastructure, noting that frameworks like the XRP Ledger (XRPL) can move value in seconds for minimal fees. He referenced live trials conducted by the Bank for International Settlements and cited tokenized gold, including Meld Gold’s gram-backed tokens, already issued on the XRPL.

Mini dictionary: XRP Ledger (XRPL) is a decentralized, open-source blockchain known for fast settlement times and low transaction fees, used for digital payments and issuing tokens, including stablecoins and tokenized assets.

The role of physical reserves and digital assetsHe acknowledged that physical gold reserves retain a critical function for central banks during crises, but stressed the difference in settlement speed and flexibility between tangible assets and digital tokens.

Garlinghouse positioned XRPL as a key solution for central banks or institutions seeking instantly transferable, digital reserves, while recognizing that some institutions may still require the assurance of holding physical metal in major financial centers.

He noted that both systems can coexist, but highlighted the long duration still required for major gold transfers compared to the speed of blockchain settlement.

XRP Could Be Turning Higher: Analysts Watch $1.48 and $1.55
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP price is at an important point as analysts watch to see if it can move back above key moving averages and end its recent downtrend.

The coin is trading at $1.37 at press time, down 3% in the past 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap.

ChartNerd Says XRP Price Needs to Reclaim $1.55 Analyst ChartNerd says XRP’s 20-month exponential moving average (EMA) is an important level to watch.

In August, XRP reached this level for the first time since January 2026. In the past, XRP has struggled around this moving average before falling sharply. Because of this, getting back above it could be a positive sign.

The 20-month EMA is currently around $1.55 and is close to the 50-week EMA. The 50-week EMA has been acting as resistance since XRP rose toward $1.70.

ChartNerd says XRP needs to move above both levels and stay above them as support before a strong move higher can be confirmed. If XRP fails to do this, the price may fall further.

The analyst’s long-term chart also shows that XRP has previously moved above the 20-month EMA before making major price gains.

XRP price chart Early Signs of Recovery ChartNerd also looked at XRP’s recent price movement. The crypto had been making lower highs and lower lows, which is a sign of a downtrend.

However, things started to improve after XRP moved above $1.39. Since then, XRP has broken above several previous highs and may now be making higher lows. This could be a sign that the downtrend is starting to weaken.

Analyst Says XRP Needs to Break $1.48 Meanwhile, analyst Cryptoinsightuk says $1.48 is an important level for XRP. The analyst currently sees XRP’s trend as neutral. While XRP has moved above a previous high, it needs to rise further to confirm a stronger uptrend.

If XRP breaks above $1.48, the next target will be around $1.58. If the price keeps rising, the next major target would be between $1.70 and $1.85.

The analyst also said that comments from U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent about possibly buying more U.S. Treasury bonds could be positive for the crypto market.

XRP Needs to Break Key Resistance Both analysts agree that XRP is showing signs of recovery, but it still needs to prove that the uptrend is real. Breaking above $1.48 would be a positive sign. Moving above the $1.55 20-month EMA and the 50-week EMA would be an even stronger signal.

Until XRP moves above these levels and holds them as support, the price may still fall again. If XRP breaks higher, $1.58 could be the first target, followed by $1.70–$1.85.

XRP Most Likely to Reclaim $1.50 This Month: Kalshi
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP is back to trading in the red territory after its price slowed significantly, showing a decline of about 4% over the last day. However, traders on the crypto prediction market, Kalshi, are still bullish on the asset.

Per the latest data showcased on the platform, traders are betting on XRP's potential price recovery as they predict a resurgence back to $1.50 before the month runs out.

$1.50 XRP target in view The current XRP predictions on Kalshi provide a bullish outlook for the asset as traders bet on XRP reaching a high of $1.50 this month despite the ongoing price slump.

HOT Stories

Amid the bullish XRP prediction, further data shows that the XRP prediction market has recorded about $89,586 in trading volume. This signals growing interest in XRP's potential price movement among traders.

You Might Also Like

While the bullish predictions have arrived at a time when XRP is trading sideways, it appears that traders are expecting a price recovery for the asset before September ends.

XRP's price reversesAlthough XRP has maintained a positive momentum in the past week, stabilizing around the $1.40 mark, the asset is currently facing renewed selling pressure after failing to sustain its recent gains.

Over the last day, XRP has declined by 4.64%, dropping to $1.35 from a high of $1.43 within the last 24 hours as momentum gradually turns weak.

While activities on the prediction market suggest that traders still see room for a rebound toward the $1.50 mark for XRP this month, this means that XRP would need to rally by over 11% from its current level to reach the target.

XRP Whale-Retail Spread Holds July Levels While Price Rises 30%: What Comes Next?
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
The XRP whale-retail spread has maintained the levels recorded in late July while the price now trades about 30% higher.

XRP has risen roughly 30% since late July, with the token trading near $1.38. However, exchange outflow data shows an important trend in whale and retail activity, which could help decide where XRP may head next.

For context, this relates to the Whale vs Retail Spread indicator. Notably, the metric compares the relative share of large and retail XRP transfers leaving cryptocurrency exchanges.

A higher reading means whale activity has increased compared with retail activity. Recent data shows an important difference between activity on Binance and the broader centralized exchange market.

XRP Binance Whale-Retail Spread Remains Nearly Unchanged On Binance, the 7-day moving average Whale vs Retail Spread stood at 35.6% on July 28. At press time, the metric had risen to 36.3%, marking an increase of just 0.7 percentage points in more than six weeks.

This small change is relevant because XRP’s price rose roughly 30% during the same period. While the token rallied, the balance between whale and retail XRP outflows on Binance remained almost unchanged.

This suggests that the rally did not bring a similar increase in whale activity compared with retail transfers on the exchange.

Interestingly, the broader exchange market shows a different trend. The All-CEX Whale vs Retail Spread increased from 33% on July 28 to 45.8% currently, a rise of 12.8 percentage points. This shows that whale-related XRP outflows have grown much faster than retail outflows across major centralized exchanges.

XRP Whale-Retail Spread | Source: CryptoQuant All-CEX Spread Shows a Major Shift The difference between Binance and the broader market has increased since late July. On July 28, Binance’s spread stood 2.6 percentage points above the 33% All-CEX reading. At that point, Binance had a higher whale-retail spread than the broader exchange market.

The situation has now reversed. Currently, the 45.8% All-CEX reading stands 9.5 percentage points above Binance’s 36.3%. This means the difference between Binance and the wider market has shifted by 12.1 percentage points in just over six weeks.

The change suggests that large XRP transfers have become more common on exchanges outside Binance. Platforms such as Coinbase, Kraken, and OKX could account for some of this activity.

However, the data cannot confirm where the transfers came from or why whales made them. Institutional clients using regulated platforms and OTC desks handling large trades could also lead to a spike in the metric.

What Could This Mean for XRP Price? The rising whale-retail spread does not automatically mean XRP will rise or fall. The metric tracks the relative size of XRP transfers leaving exchanges, but it does not show whether whales plan to sell, accumulate, or simply move their holdings elsewhere.

For instance, a whale could withdraw XRP from an exchange and place it in cold storage. This could reduce the amount of XRP immediately available for sale and support the price if it reflects a long-term holding strategy.

On the other hand, a whale could move XRP to another exchange before selling, which could increase selling pressure. As a result, the same increase in the spread can lead to different outcomes depending on what happens after the transfers.

Nonetheless, sudden spikes in whale-related exchange outflows during price rallies can sometimes come before periods of consolidation or higher volatility. Large transfers can change the amount of XRP available on exchanges, especially when whale activity rises much faster than retail activity.

However, the effect could be different if whales continue moving XRP away from exchanges for long-term storage. In this case, the amount of XRP available for immediate selling could fall across several platforms. Lower exchange supply could then provide more support for additional price gains.

XRP Healthcare has officially announced the cessation of its operations and the start of a coordinated delisting of its XRPH and XRPHAI tokens. The management of the startup, which spent three years trying to build a blockchain-based healthcare ecosystem, cited the effects of the prolonged bear market and an unsuccessful attempt to secure a public listing.

However, the key catalyst behind the shutdown was a severe technical crisis that independent developers had warned was inevitable from the project's inception.

How ignoring red flags and poor code destroyed an XRP project with ambitions to revolutionize healthcare.Financial pressure on the company increased significantly after September 3, when attackers drained 4,011 XRPH wallets. Total losses amounted to approximately $452,000, including 267,664 XRP and the project's native tokens. Subsequent technical analysis showed that the vulnerability was not related to the security of the XRP Ledger itself.

HOT Stories

The flaw was in XRP Healthcare's application code: its algorithm generated seed phrases with low entropy, allowing hackers to reconstruct private keys offline. Later, decompilation of the application revealed an even more serious security violation: the wallet was transmitting users' seed phrases over the network.

The incident sparked a fierce public debate. On September 6, former developers associated with Ripple, including Matt Hamilton, Vet Goose and Hazard Cookie, all stated that the collapse of the startup, previously known as XRPayNet, had only been a matter of time.

Collapse of XRPH and XRPHAI token prices after fatal wallet exploit, Source: TradingViewVet Goose publicly acknowledged that he had personally rejected the team's grant applications because their documentation contained inaccurate claims about partnerships. He stressed that the healthcare platform had never needed its own token in the first place and described the wallet's architecture as unprofessional.

Matt Hamilton and Hazard Cookie confirmed that they had identified critical risks and questionable operational practices within the project several years earlier, but the startup's management had ignored criticism from the community.

You Might Also Like

In response to the allegations, XRP Healthcare's management said it had fully trusted the developers it hired and learned that seed phrases were being transmitted over the network only after the hack. The team called the criticism from Ripple veterans inappropriate but had no technical arguments with which to counter their claims.

Recent statement confirms the project's final status: liquidation has been deemed inevitable, while continuing operations is considered unviable. The XRPH Wallet applications will remain permanently disconnected from the network. Management is currently discussing withdrawal deadlines with cryptocurrency exchanges, while each trading platform will establish its own exact timeline and rules.

XRP Healthcare shuts down, delists XRPH and XRPHAI after $452,000 hack
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP Healthcare has announced the closure of its operations and the immediate start of delisting its XRPH and XRPHAI tokens. This decision follows a series of setbacks for the blockchain-based healthcare startup, including a failed public listing and mounting pressure from prolonged bearish market conditions.

Technical failures and security breachA serious technical vulnerability played a central role in the company’s collapse. On September 3, attackers exploited flaws in XRPH Wallet’s underlying code, compromising 4,011 user wallets and resulting in losses of about $452,000. The funds stolen consisted of 267,664 XRP and the project’s native tokens. Detailed analysis attributed the breach to the application’s poor randomization process for generating seed phrases, an issue flagged by independent developers early in the project’s life.

Investigators later discovered that the app transmitted users’ seed phrases across the network, amplifying the security risk. The vulnerability was independent of the XRP Ledger itself, implicating only XRP Healthcare’s proprietary code and wallet design choices.

Mini dictionary: Entropy, in cryptography, refers to the randomness collected by a system for use in algorithms that require unpredictability, such as generating secure private keys. Low entropy in a wallet’s algorithm can make private keys predictable and vulnerable to attacks.

Renowned developer Vet Goose stated that he had personally declined XRP Healthcare’s grant applications because of misleading information regarding claimed partnerships in their documentation. He characterized the platform’s technical architecture as inadequate and questioned the necessity for a proprietary token, noting that such a model was unnecessary for the proposed healthcare solution.

Vet Goose emphasized his concerns by noting, “There never was a need for a separate token in this healthcare ecosystem, and the technical documentation contained inaccurate claims about collaborations.”

Management’s response and project liquidationXRP Healthcare’s leadership responded by asserting complete reliance on external developers for wallet security, stating awareness of the transmitted seed phrases only after the hack had been made public. The management dismissed criticism from senior Ripple community members, but failed to provide technical counterarguments to address the underlying code issues highlighted.

A recent announcement confirmed that the project has entered liquidation and will cease all operations. As a result, XRPH Wallet applications are now permanently disconnected from the network, leaving users unable to access the services.

The company is currently in discussions with cryptocurrency exchanges regarding deadlines for withdrawing tokens. Each trading platform is expected to determine its own specific delisting procedures and schedules for XRPH and XRPHAI assets.

Its closure marks the end of its goal to merge digital assets with medical services.

The technical post-mortem identified the project’s fatal errors as a combination of poor security practices, over-reliance on external teams, and failure to address critical warnings raised by developers since the platform’s inception.

Ripple [XRP] News: Does David Schwartz’s Comment Put $15 to $50 XRP Back on the Table?
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Ripple CTO David Schwartz reignited XRP’s flippening debate this week, telling a Twitter Spaces audience that XRP overtaking Bitcoin’s market capitalization is more likely to happen through XRP’s own growth and adoption than through any collapse in Bitcoin’s price.

Crypto analyst Zach Rector broke down what that statement actually implies for XRP’s price, running the numbers through both market cap and fully diluted valuation.

The Math Behind the Numbers

Rector calculated that a $1.5 trillion valuation, roughly where Bitcoin’s market cap sits today, would put XRP near $23.91 using its current circulating supply of about 62 billion tokens. At Bitcoin’s all-time high market cap of $2.5 trillion, XRP would trade just under $40.

Taking a more conservative approach that accounts for XRP’s full 100 billion token supply, Rector calculated fully diluted values of $15 at a $1.5 trillion valuation and $25 at $2.5 trillion, figures he described as the base case under Schwartz’s own reasoning.

AI Pushback Raises the Floor

Rector said he ran the scenario through Claude to stress-test his conservative estimate, and the AI pushed back that his numbers understated the case. Since Schwartz’s flip scenario assumes a larger overall crypto market, Bitcoin’s own valuation would also be higher by the time any flip occurred, meaning $15 to $25 represents the floor of the scenario rather than a ceiling.

A More Bullish Case

Rector’s bull case, if Bitcoin reaches a $3 trillion to $5 trillion market cap and XRP scales alongside it, has XRP topping $50 on a fully diluted basis.

XRP currently trades near $1.30, still well below its cycle high of $3.66. Schwartz stopped short of putting a timeline on any flip, and the scenario remains hypothetical. But his comments mark one of the clearest acknowledgments yet from Ripple’s own leadership that a Bitcoin flip through organic growth, rather than a Bitcoin collapse, is a plausible long-term outcome.
