Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRPHit by CLARITY Act 'Setback,' Fed Hike: What's Next?

CoinGecko News
Original source text
Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) dropped below $76,000 as Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH), Solana (CRYPTO: SOL) and Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) and XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) struggle to hold key levels after the Senate failed to advance the CLARITY Act and the Federal Reserve raised interest rates by 25 basis points.

Cryptocurrency market analyst Ray Salmond said that the legislative “setback” is unlikely to derail crypto’s broader growth and adoption.

Why Is The Failure Is A ‘Setback,’ Not A ‘Derailment‘Salmond argued in a Schwab Network interview on Wednesday that the regulatory story now shifts from legislation to rule making.

The SEC and CFTC are positioned to fill part of the regulatory void after the CLARITY Act failed to advance.

Trending

However, industry executives and analysts have cautioned that agency rules may be more vulnerable to political changes and legal challenges than legislation passed by Congress.

Salmond expects regulators to continue moving forward regardless of whether the Clarity Act returns next year or later.

That could keep Wall Street’s crypto expansion moving.

He added that a clearer framework like the CLARITY Act would give U.S. crypto companies stronger legal footing while making it easier for offshore firms to re-headquarter in the U.S., raise capital and integrate with TradFi.

He expects firms including BlackRock (NYSE:BLK), ARK Invest and Fidelity to lean further into potential SEC frameworks for tokenization, paving the way for more tokenized securities, 24-hour trading and deeper integration between traditional financial markets and crypto platforms.

Warsh Announces First of Several Potential HikesElsewhere, the Federal Reserve delivered the widely-anticipated 25 basis points hike, with another hike projected until year-end. Gold and equities dived on the announcement, which is widely perceived as the start of a fresh hiking cycle going into 2027.

Ripple, SMQKE highlight XRP and XLM’s single-block finality for institutions
XLM Stellar Lumens XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Crypto researcher SMQKE has identified single-block settlement finality as a defining feature that could drive institutional interest in XRP and XLM. This characteristic, which allows transactions to achieve finality within a single block, is increasingly sought after by financial institutions exploring blockchain-based settlements and tokenized assets.

XRP Ledger brings DVP to large-scale financeLauren Berta, stablecoin lead at Ripple, addressed the importance of settlement finality during her presentation at TokenizeThis, an event organized by RedStone. She underscored the strong connection between single-block finality and key institutional settlement practices, such as delivery versus payment (DVP).

Berta stated that DVP—where the delivery of an asset and its corresponding payment occur simultaneously—is fundamental for large-scale financial operations. She referenced Ripple’s collaborations with Aviva and Franklin Templeton on proof-of-concept projects involving repurchase agreements, highlighting the necessity for both parties to sign transactions before simultaneous execution can take place.

She emphasized that, for institutions, the certainty provided by single-block settlement is crucial. It ensures that a completed transaction is immediately irreversible, which is especially important for coordinating high-value transfers.

Ripple’s Lauren Berta underscored that the XRP Ledger enables single-block finality, connecting this feature to institutional needs for certainty in transactions that require simultaneous settlement between both parties.

Berta contrasted the XRP Ledger and Stellar with popular proof-of-stake networks that often require multiple confirmations before transactions are considered fully settled. Although the likelihood of reversal becomes very low after several confirmations, this added waiting period can become a major hurdle for businesses handling large volumes of transactions.

Operational impact and Ripple’s approach with MintBurnBerta also elaborated on Ripple’s settlement practices on other blockchains, mentioning the company’s MintBurn product. She disclosed that Ripple typically waits for up to 20 blocks before recognizing a transaction as settled on certain chains, even in cases where custody platforms like Fireblocks require fewer confirmations.

This approach, while conservative, results in operational delays. Berta made it clear that delivering enough certainty before releasing assets is essential for Ripple’s business partners, especially as trading volumes grow.

She went on to identify both Stellar and the XRP Ledger as networks capable of providing single-block finality. This capability, Berta noted, enables more efficient and scalable settlement for high-volume payment companies.

Mini dictionary: MintBurn, a Ripple product, is designed to facilitate the minting and burning of digital assets across multiple blockchains, providing secure and efficient asset management for enterprise clients navigating complex settlement workflows.

Settlement architecture and institutional adoptionSMQKE cited Berta’s analysis as evidence that both XRP and XLM offer a settlement architecture well suited to institutional requirements. According to SMQKE, single-block finality provides exactly what financial institutions look for in a digital asset network—speed and settlement certainty.

Berta suggested that as blockchain adoption matures in the financial sector, the underlying structure of a network could play a growing role in influencing liquidity decisions. She said that mature enterprises require a high degree of certainty regarding transaction consensus and cannot afford delays or uncertainty in settlement.

SMQKE pointed to speed and immediate finality as central reasons why institutions may increasingly opt for XRP and XLM in blockchain settlement processes.

As banks and payment processors launch new applications for tokenized assets and blockchain payments, the ability to achieve completion in a single block could become a determining factor in their choice of networks. SMQKE maintains that this unique advantage positions XRP and XLM as leading solutions for institutions seeking secure, efficient, and scalable digital asset settlements.

Why Africa's First Central Bank Digital Currency Failed?
SOL Solana XLM Stellar Lumens XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
A government can create digital money, but getting people to use it is a separate problem, and Nigeria’s expensive failure proves it.

The country launched Africa’s first central bank digital currency, the eNaira, in October 2021. More than four years later, the International Monetary Fund found that 98.5% of eNaira wallets had never been used more than once.

For crypto investors, that failure is a critical signal that can’t be ignored. It shows that issuing digital money does not create demand for it, and the same test now applies to every stablecoin, payment token, and tokenized deposit chasing the same use case.

Why Nigeria’s eNaira Never Won Over Its Own PeopleThe eNaira was pitched as a fix for financial inclusion, cheaper remittances, and faster payments. Adoption never followed. Fewer than 0.5% of Nigerians were using it a year after launch, and the central bank’s own Payments System Vision 2028 later blamed low real-economy usage and a weak merchant value proposition.

The causes are not mysterious. Three stand out.

A mature mobile money and fintech market already handled everyday payments. The wallet offered no clear advantage over apps Nigerians already trusted. Thin merchant acceptance gave shops little reason to take it. In a recent interview I had with Ryan Kirkley, co-founder and CEO of Global Settlement Network, a firm that builds cross-border settlement infrastructure and has been meeting with central banks in Uganda and Nigeria, he put the lesson plainly. The eNaira taught the industry that "issuing a digital currency does not automatically give people a reason to use it," he said.

Distribution and Utility Decide What Digital Money SurvivesKirkley’s point reaches well past central banks. Money moves through habit and pre-existing network structures, so any new token has to fit into what people and merchants already do rather than ask them to start over.

That standard screens out tokens that are technically impressive but have no distribution, and it explains why a sovereign guarantee behind the eNaira counted for so little.

The Question Every Digital-Money Investor Should Be AskingTurn the eNaira story around, and it becomes a screening tool. If a currency fails when it offers no edge over what already exists, then the projects worth owning are the ones solving a cost or friction users actually feel.

That friction is real and large. Sending $200 to Nigeria still costs about $17.56 on average, according to World Bank figures, and regional cross-border transfers routinely carry fees near 8%. A token that meaningfully cuts that bill has a reason to exist. One that sells novelty does not.

Where Stablecoins Already Solve a Real ProblemStablecoins are the clearest case of digital money that spread because it was useful. The market sits near $315 billion in 2026, with Tether’s USDT and Circle’s (CRCL) USDC making up roughly 83% of supply, and dollar tokens have become the default hedge in weak-currency economies.

Nigeria proves the point. Regulators once barred banks from touching crypto, yet Nigerians kept using stablecoins for remittances and as protection against a sliding naira. That demand eventually moved policy, not the other way around.

The central bank’s 2028 blueprint even proposes running observer nodes on approved stablecoin networks to watch transactions in real time, a sharp reversal for an institution that shut crypto out in 2021.

How to Read the XRP, Stellar, and Solana TradeOnce you apply utility as a filter, the payment tokens sort themselves. XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) is the cleanest cross-border case, with Ripple out of its long US legal fight, holding conditional approval for a national trust bank, and pushing its dollar stablecoin RLUSD through African partners like Chipper Cash and Yellow Card.

The caution is that using Ripple’s rails does not always mean using the token. Much of RLUSD’s supply sits on Ethereum rather than the XRP Ledger, so bank adoption and XRP demand can drift apart.

Stellar runs a similar play with a payments-first design, hosting PayPal’s (PYPL) PYUSD, Circle’s USDC, and more than $3 billion in tokenized real-world assets, with stablecoin volume up 72% year over year in early 2026.

Solana posts the loudest numbers, clearing over $1 trillion in stablecoin volume in 2025 and drawing Visa (V) and major checkout platforms onto sub-cent fees. The catch is that a large share of that volume is trading and arbitrage rather than merchant payments, so the headline overstates real-world use.

What Tokenized Deposits Add to the PictureBanks are not standing still. Tokenized deposits, which are ordinary bank balances recorded on a ledger, let institutions move money instantly while keeping customers inside the regulated system. JPMorgan’s (JPM) in-house token already settles billions of dollars a day for corporate clients.

For a retail investor, tokenized deposits read less as a tradable bet than as a signal. They show incumbents accept that blockchain settlement is coming, which raises the bar for any public token claiming to own that lane.

The Filter That Separates Winners From AnnouncementsThe eNaira is a reminder that a launch is not adoption and a government stamp guarantees nothing. The digital money that lasts cuts a real cost, plugs into existing behavior, and earns regulated demand instead of assuming it.

Applied to today’s market, that favors stablecoin infrastructure and payment networks with genuine settlement volume over tokens trading on promise alone. Before buying any digital-money story, the question stays simple. What problem does it solve that users could not already solve without it?

Binance is conducting a major review of its assets, betting on stronger local fiat markets and integration with the traditional stock sector. The main fiat update of the week was the addition of direct spot trading against the Thai baht (THB) for key industry heavyweights, including XRP, SOL, ETH and BNB.

The launch of the new pairs on September 16 opens a direct gateway to Ripple's ecosystem in Asia, allowing local traders to increase liquidity without double conversion through stablecoins, significantly lowering transaction friction for enterprise-level cross-border remittances within the Southeast Asian economic corridor.

At the same time, the trading platform is expanding its collateral options for large players. As of September 16, Binance's margin trading services began accepting two new bStocks tokens as collateral: tokenized shares of Reddit (RDDTB) and GoPro (GPROB), issued in the regulated jurisdiction of ADGM.

Although direct borrowing against these securities is not yet available, the precedent clearly demonstrates how capital from TradFi is flowing into the cryptocurrency market.

Binance sheds ballast: Who should prepare? The flip side of this expansion is tough liquidity optimization, which has put dollar-denominated instruments under the knife. The exchange officially announced that it will completely halt trading in four USDC spot pairs on September 18 at 03:00 UTC due to low trading volumes.

The cleanup spans highly distinct sectors: it removes interoperability middleware protocol Quant (QNT), zero-knowledge (ZK) coprocessor Brevis (BREV), Web3 AI data analytics platform CookieDAO (COOKIE), and the decentralized AI verification protocol Lagrange (LA).

While these tokens remain fully available through other active base currencies on the spot exchange, all associated Spot Trading Bots services will be forcibly terminated. Traders are therefore advised to promptly close their active orders.

The countdown to a major technical upgrade has officially begun on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). Late yesterday evening, analytics platform XRPScan recorded the crossing of a critical threshold: the long-awaited Batch (XLS-56) amendment secured 82.86% of validator votes.

Under the network's rules, reaching this threshold activates a strict 14-day timer. If consensus holds for two weeks, the upgrade will automatically take effect on September 29, 2026, at 14:06 UTC.

The implementation of XLS-56 marks developers' second attempt to launch batch transactions. In February of this year, the first version of Batch was urgently suspended after auditors at Cantina AI discovered a vulnerability in the signature-validation logic that could potentially put the security of funds at risk.

XRPL Batch amendment tracker, Source: XRPScanThe RippleX team did not try to hide the problem and instead completely reworked the architecture. After months of testing with specialists from Halborn and Common Prefix, as well as a public stress test at the Sherlock Attackathon, the secure code was packaged into the global xrpld v3.3.0 release. Validators gave the green light.

Why the "all-or-nothing" rule will change the lives of ordinary XRP holdersThe Batch feature allows up to 8 entirely different transactions from different users to be combined into a single package and executed during one ledger close.

The uncompromising all-or-nothing principle applies here. If even one transaction in the sequence fails or encounters price slippage, the network instantly rolls back the entire package. This eliminates the risk of stuck transactions in which one party sends an asset while the other goes offline.

The upgrade opens the door to commercial use cases that previously required complex and expensive smart contracts:

Institutional settlements: Institutional capital gets a ready-made tool for the repo and securities markets. The transfer of ownership of a tokenized asset and its payment take place within the same millisecond, following the "delivery versus payment" principle.Direct barter (NFT-for-NFT): Users will be able to exchange digital art directly, without intermediate conversion into XRP or other tokens.Commercial UX: Application developers will be able to build their fee directly into a user payment. The platform takes a cent for its services, while the main transaction proceeds simultaneously and seamlessly.Smart trading: On decentralized exchanges (DEXs), traders will be able to send bundles of several orders. The first successful order will execute, while the others will be canceled, protecting the trader from losses.Less than two weeks remain before XLS-56 is activated. For long-term XRP holders, this date is a marker that the network is finally transforming from infrastructure for fast transfers into a mature, secure platform for complex business and DeFi.

Why XRP Price Fell Harder Than Major Cryptocurrencies
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
TLDR XRP price fell below $1.30 after the U.S. Senate failed to advance the CLARITY Act.

XRP recorded the largest 24-hour decline among the top 10 cryptocurrencies, falling 7.71%.

The Senate vote ended 49-50, short of the 60 votes required to move the bill forward.

XRP already has legal clarity in the U.S., but broader crypto regulation could still support institutional participation.

The Senate setback may have removed a near-term regulatory catalyst and added to selling pressure on XRP.

XRP price fell below $1.30 as the crypto market faced broad selling after the U.S. Senate failed to advance the CLARITY Act. XRP traded near $1.40 before the vote, then dropped toward $1.29 as traders reduced exposure across major digital assets.

The decline placed XRP among the weakest large-cap cryptocurrencies over the 24 hours. The token also lost more ground than Bitcoin, Ether, and Solana, showing that selling pressure hit XRP harder during the market pullback.

Senate Vote Pressures Crypto Market The Senate failed to move the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act into formal debate on Tuesday. The measure needed 60 votes to advance, but lawmakers did not reach that threshold. The setback triggered fresh concern across the crypto market.

The proposed law seeks to create clearer federal rules for digital assets. It would define how U.S. regulators oversee parts of the crypto market and provide a broader framework for companies, exchanges, and other market participants.

XRP Already Has Legal Clarity XRP differs from many digital assets because it already has a clearer legal position in the United States. In the SEC case against Ripple, a federal court found that XRP itself did not automatically qualify as a security.

That ruling reduced one major legal question surrounding the token. However, it did not create a complete regulatory structure for the wider crypto industry. XRP price can still react to policy developments that affect exchanges, institutions, and digital asset businesses.

The sharper XRP price decline may reflect expectations around wider U.S. crypto rules rather than XRP’s legal status alone. Investors had viewed the CLARITY Act as a possible path toward clearer rules for institutions entering the digital asset market.

A broader framework could make compliance easier for financial firms that want exposure to crypto assets or blockchain-based payment systems. When the Senate failed to advance the bill, traders may have reduced positions tied to that expected policy shift.

The latest move does not show how XRP price will react if lawmakers revive the bill. Future performance will still depend on market conditions, demand, liquidity, institutional activity, and any new regulatory steps in the United States. Short-term moves may also reflect leveraged trading, stop-loss orders, and broader risk reduction after the vote.

Hyperliquid Whale With 99% Win Rate Adds to $1.36M XRP Long Despite 21% Loss
HYPE Hyperliquid XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
A Grade-S Hyperliquid whale has continued to add to his million-dollar XRP long position despite currently nursing losses due to the recent price crash.

XRP recently collapsed alongside the rest of the crypto market after the U.S. Senate failed to advance the Clarity Act during the much-watched cloture vote. Specifically, the asset crashed 9.81% on Sept. 15, marking its largest intraday drop in seven months.

However, despite XRP facing this steep decline and dropping below $1.30, one Hyperliquid whale boasting a 99.3%-win rate has continued to add to his XRP long position, demonstrating what appears to be firm conviction in the asset’s resilience.

The Initial XRP Long Position This whale, with address 0xa…566, first opened an initial XRP long position at 10:34 AM UTC on Sept. 15 while XRP was recovering from the drop to $1.38. The whale then added $1.11 million to the position an hour later.

Initial XRP Long After XRP soared to a local top of $1.45 by 1 PM the same day, the price started correcting as the U.S. Senate failed to advance the Clarity Act, leading to massive selling pressure across the crypto market.

Interestingly, the whale had already reduced his trade and closed the position at a price of $1.40 before the XRP price crash picked up. As a result, he secured a meager $6,000 profit from the trade.

Current XRP Position in Loss While the market panicked, this whale instead chose the opposite direction. Notably, he again opened an XRP long position worth $557K at 8 PM UTC on Sept. 15, hours into the price crash. The entry for this trade stood at $1.2946. At the time, XRP was already down 9% on the day.

About half an hour later, he increased the position by $800,000 at an entry price of $1.2948 while XRP was still facing massive declines, bringing total notional value to $1.36 million. Since then, the trader has maintained this position, having held for up to 12 hours now.

Hyperliquid Whale Nursing Loss on XRP Long However, with XRP collapsing further to the current price of around $1.27, the trader is currently witnessing a massive 26.46% loss on the position, with losses sitting at $18,000 at a 20x leverage. Still, the whale would only suffer a liquidation if XRP collapsed to $0.34, a 73% drop from the current price.

History Shows Promising Results At press time, liquidation appears unlikely unless the market faces a sudden Black Swan event. Interestingly, this whale has not recorded any liquidations in his entire history of 111 trades. Of this figure, he has witnessed 110 wins and just 1 loss, giving him a 99% win rate.

Wallet Overview Further data shows that the account is fairly new, having begun trading on Aug. 27, about three weeks ago. Within this period, he has secured a total profit of $495K, with a Sharpe ratio of 4.33 and a bias sitting at 75% Long.

While investigating the root cause of the security incident, DCENT urges the crypto community to be on alert for scams. As a warning, users should not send assets to any wallet address provided through DMs or unofficial channels and should not click links or follow transfer instructions from unverified sources.

Launched by the South Korean cybersecurity company IoTrust, DCENT supports numerous coins including XRP.

South Korea's retail and institutional interest in XRP remains among the strongest in the global crypto market; hence, the update remains significant for the XRP community.

In a separate post, DCENT shared an important update regarding its App Wallet. It noted that abnormal asset transfer cases have been identified involving the DCENT App Wallet. So far, there has been no impact originating from DCENT Hardware Wallets themselves.

DCENT has issued guidance for users who need to transfer assets urgently: they should update the DCENT app to the latest version before transferring any assets to a secure hardware wallet or another trusted wallet address. They should never initiate transactions through the DCENT App Wallet before updating the app.

Also, if the same recovery phrase is used in the DCENT App Wallet, action is required regardless of where that recovery phrase was originally generated.

BTC, ETH, and XRP Plunge After CLARITY Setback but All Eyes Turn on Fed Now: Market Watch
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP, in fact, is one of the worst performers today after the failure of the CLARITY Act's cloture.

The first of the two massive events that can rattle the crypto markets occurred yesterday, and it didn’t go in the industry’s favor, resulting in immediate price pullbacks. Bitcoin, for example, slumped to a monthly low of $75,000.

The altcoins, especially those that were expected to benefit the most from the bill’s potential progress, are also well in the red today.

BTC Saw Monthly Low Bitcoin’s intense volatility began at the end of the previous business week, after the release of the US CPI data. Even though the numbers matched expectations, BTC first dropped from $77,000 to $76,000 before it suddenly and unexpectedly skyrocketed to $79,800. It was rejected there and driven south to its starting point, and all of these moves occurred in the span of less than two hours.

The weekend was significantly less volatile, with the asset remaining sideways at around $77,000. It dipped again on Monday morning but then started to gradually rise in value and surged to $79,500 during the afternoon session.

More fluctuations were expected on Tuesday evening, when the US Senate was set to vote on cloture for the CLARITY Act. Once it became official that the bill was rejected, BTC went wild, going from $77,000 to a monthly low of $75,000, before it recovered some ground to just under $76,000 now. However, the situation later tonight could be just as eventful as the US Federal Reserve will announce its long-anticipated interest rate decision.

BTC’s market cap has dumped to $1.520 trillion on CMC, while its dominance over the alts is up to 59%.

BTCUSD September 16. Source: TradingView XRP and Most Alts Dump Ripple’s cross-border token is among the poorest performers today. The token was recently rejected at $1.50 and has since slumped to under $1.30 after another 8% daily decline.

Ethereum is down to $2,400 after a 3% slide, similar to SOL, DOGE, XMR, and HYPE; LINK has plummeted by 5%, and so has ADA. XLM has dived by 10% to $0.175. BTW and ZEC are among the few exceptions in the green today.

The total crypto market cap has dropped by over 2.3% in a day, according to CMC, and is below $2.6 trillion now.

On Monday, analytics service XRPScan reported that validator support for the update had reached 82.86%, surpassing a critical threshold that triggers the next phase of the upgrade process.

Fourteen-day countdown triggered for major upgradeAccording to XRPL’s governance framework, surpassing the required validator approval initiates a mandatory 14-day waiting period. If this heightened consensus remains stable throughout this timeframe, the software upgrade will be enacted automatically on September 29, 2026, at 14:06 UTC.

The forthcoming upgrade represents the community’s second attempt to introduce batch transaction capabilities to the ledger. Developers previously suspended an initial deployment of Batch in February 2024 after audit firm Cantina AI detected a vulnerability in the feature’s signature-validation component, which posed potential risks to user funds if exploited.

RippleX, the development division supporting the XRP Ledger, responded by completely redesigning the feature’s architecture in collaboration with security testing specialists from Halborn and Common Prefix. As part of this process, the improved code was subjected to a public stress test during the Sherlock Attackathon event, after which it was shipped in the global xrpld v3.3.0 release. Following these efforts, network validators approved the reworked upgrade for release.

Mini dictionary: RippleX is Ripple’s engineering arm, responsible for contributing to the open-source code and ecosystem development of the XRP Ledger. The XRPScan platform is a well-known blockchain explorer tailored to follow XRPL transactions and validator activities in detail.

XLS-56 batch transactions: All-or-nothing execution modelThe hallmark of the Batch (XLS-56) feature is its ability to combine up to 8 distinct transactions, potentially across different users, into a single executable package within a single ledger close. Crucially, it operates on a so-called all-or-nothing principle: if any transaction in the bundle fails or suffers price slippage, the entire group is reverted, ensuring transactional integrity and minimizing partial state issues for users.

Batch transactions empower the network with complex, multi-party operations that were previously only possible using layered and costly smart contracts, while also reducing risks of stuck transactions or incomplete payments.

With the introduction of XLS-56, the XRP Ledger will support streamlined institutional settlements, such as the simultaneous transfer and payment of tokenized assets according to the “delivery versus payment” (DvP) model. The feature also enables direct digital asset swaps, including NFT-for-NFT exchanges, without requiring conversion to XRP or other tokens as an intermediary step.

Application developers will further benefit by being able to embed platform fees directly into user transactions, ensuring operational simplicity without complex workflows.

Traders operating on decentralized exchanges (DEXs) built atop XRPL will also gain the ability to submit bundled trading orders. If a single order executes successfully, others in the batch will be cancelled, helping traders better manage risk and avoid unintended losses.

The upgrade’s focus on enhanced security, reliability, and DeFi utility is expected to broaden XRPL’s appeal for institutional and commercial adoption.

If the validator consensus is retained throughout the two-week window, the Batch feature is set to become part of the network’s core functionality at the end of September 2026.

The combined input from auditors and developers, along with broad validator support, has pushed the XLS-56 batch upgrade to the threshold of deployment, setting the stage for a transformative chapter in XRPL’s evolution.

Clarity Act Vote Shakes Crypto Market: This Altcoin Dropped the Most! First Statements from the White House and Industry Arrive, What Happens Next?
BTC Bitcoin XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
The Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, which aims to create a comprehensive regulatory framework for digital assets in the US, failed to gain the necessary support to pass in the Senate.

In the vote, 49 senators voted in favor and 50 against, failing to reach the 60-vote threshold required for the bill to proceed.

Following the negative outcome of the vote on the Clarity Act, Bitcoin fell by approximately 3%, dropping to $75,000.

In response, after the US Senate failed to pass the ‘CLARITY Act’, XRP lost approximately 10% of its value, recording the biggest drop among major cryptocurrencies.

XRP fell by approximately 10% to around $1.28. While other altcoins also experienced declines, the drops were more limited compared to XRP. Ethereum fell by about 5% to around $2,400, and Solana also dropped by 5% to around $97.

A Huge Disappointment! The lack of progress on the Clarity Act has caused great disappointment in the cryptocurrency sector, and significant assessments have also come from prominent figures.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong expressed his disappointment that the Clarity Act was not progressing in the US Senate, in a post on his X account. However, he noted that bipartisan negotiations could bring the bill back to the agenda.

SEC and CFTC Highlights! Armstrong said that Congress shouldn’t be waited for and that the SEC and CFTC could create clearer regulations for cryptocurrencies with their existing powers. He predicted that regulatory clarity would still be achieved.

Armstrong, stating that the industry made some concessions during the Clarity Act negotiations, suggested that the bill’s failure might have been a better outcome. He emphasized that the crypto sector will continue to transform the financial system through regulatory bodies.

Statement from the White House! White House official Patrick Witt described the unsuccessful Senate vote on the Clarity Act as a “great disappointment.”

Witt argued that the outcome poses a risk to the U.S.’s global leadership in finance, and that the decision could weaken the U.S.’s influence over global financial standards, adding that all eyes are now on the next steps to be taken by the SEC and the CFTC.

Witt argued that this was a failure on the part of American leadership.

Witt stated that if the law does not progress, the influence of Brussels or Beijing-based regulators on global financial markets could increase in the future. He also thanked President Donald Trump, David Sacks, Senator Cynthia Lummis, and other senators for their contributions to the process.

A Call to Regulatory Bodies! Witt, who also praised the cooperation between the Treasury, SEC, and CFTC administrations, specifically addressed SEC Chairman Paul Atkins and CFTC Chairman Michael Selig, stating that the next step lies with the regulatory bodies.

Finally, crypto journalist Brady Dale argues that following the failure of the procedural vote in the US Senate that would have allowed the Clarity Act to proceed, the responsibility lies primarily with certain political actors, including President Donald Trump.

Dale argued that Trump’s launch of the TRUMP memecoin negatively impacted the process. He also claimed that Senator Tim Scott stifled legislative momentum by insisting on a separate Senate text instead of directly advancing the House bill after the GENIUS Act.

EGRAG CRYPTO identifies key $1.30 support as XRP fractal repeats
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Crypto market analyst EGRAG CRYPTO has highlighted a recurring price structure in $XRP, asserting that the same fractal pattern that preceded a major price surge over the summer is now unfolding once again. In a recent social media update, EGRAG CRYPTO presented chart data indicating the pattern is active, with XRP trading near $1.3202, having slipped 0.32% in the latest session.

The fractal setup and historical breakoutEGRAG CRYPTO’s one-hour chart tracks XRP’s performance from July to mid-August. During this period, XRP repeatedly tested a narrow price band between $0.97 and $1.05, finding support before they broke upward in late August. The analyst identified these repeated tests and rebounds as a structurally significant accumulation phase.

On the latest chart, several circled areas show where XRP dipped into this lower price range before rallying sharply. EGRAG CRYPTO suggests the current market conditions are mirroring this earlier setup. He expects price action could follow a similar trajectory, using the previous breakout as a reference point for the ongoing fractal’s outcome.

EGRAG CRYPTO pointed to the persistence of this structure and noted that, “the fractal is playing out…”, signifying that historical chart patterns may again influence upcoming price activity.

Following the initial surge in August, XRP encountered several points of resistance. The analyst used white arrows to trace four clear rejection points, including a peak just under $1.69. These reversals pulled the price back toward $1.30, which now serves as a critical support level highlighted on the chart.

Key support and resistance levelsAccording to the analysis, $1.30 remains the immediate support, marked in green. Should XRP fall below this threshold, the chart highlights further support levels at $1.1522 and $1.1000. For deeper declines, $1.0500 and $0.9700 have also been flagged as potential next areas of interest, indicated by red lines.

Resistance is found at multiple points above the current price. Levels identified include $1.3915, $1.3896, $1.4923, $1.5114, $1.5436, and $1.6203. Beyond these, horizontal blue resistance is visible near $1.8452, with further targets stretched to $1.8825 and $1.9788, should upward momentum accelerate.

Level TypePrice Levels (USD)Support$1.30, $1.1522, $1.1000, $1.0500, $0.9700Resistance$1.3915, $1.3896, $1.4923, $1.5114, $1.5436, $1.6203, $1.8452, $1.8825, $1.9788XRP at a pivotal momentEGRAG CRYPTO holds the view that $1.30 is the pivotal price range to monitor in the near term. The chart positions XRP just above this support, indicating limited downside room before further declines may be tested. Meanwhile, a cluster of resistance zones hovers overhead, suggesting persistent selling pressure as the asset attempts a rebound.

Fractals are recurring technical patterns that some analysts use to forecast the direction of price trends over different periods, under the theory that historical price structures may repeat under similar conditions.

Mini dictionary: Fractal, a recurring technical structure in price charts that analysts believe can signal repeating trends or inflection points in financial markets.

With XRP once again retesting familiar levels and chart dynamics, EGRAG CRYPTO is looking for a potential pattern completion that could set the direction in the sessions ahead.

Recent price action places XRP at a critical inflection point, where the outcome of this fractal pattern could define the next major directional move.

DCENT urges urgent asset transfer from app wallet after security breach
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRPL Korea reported a critical security notice shared by DCENT Wallet, following detection of abnormal asset transfers linked to its App Wallet. DCENT Wallet, which supports multiple cryptocurrencies including XRP, stated it has launched an urgent investigation to determine the cause and scope of the incident.

Scope and RecommendationsAccording to DCENT, initial findings indicate the vulnerability is restricted to the App Wallet. The company emphasized that hardware wallets remain unaffected at this time.

DCENT outlined two primary groups who must take immediate action: users with any assets held in the DCENT App Wallet and those who have used the same mnemonic phrase for both the App Wallet and a hardware wallet. These users are strongly encouraged to transfer their funds without delay to a secure hardware wallet or another trusted wallet address.

For users relying solely on DCENT hardware wallets, provided they have never imported or restored their recovery phrase in the App Wallet, no further action is required.

DCENT also released a detailed update reinforcing that recent abnormal asset transfers have involved only the App Wallet. The company continues to investigate and monitor the situation closely.

Ongoing Investigation and User ProtectionThe wallet provider instructed users to update the DCENT app to the latest version before performing any asset transfers. DCENT stresses that transactions should not be made using the App Wallet unless the app is fully updated. If users have used the same recovery phrase in the App Wallet, asset transfers must be prioritized regardless of where the phrase was initially generated.

In addition to technical recommendations, DCENT warned about the heightened risk of scams. Users are urged to avoid sending digital assets to wallet addresses received via direct messages or unofficial channels and to be cautious with any unsolicited transfer instructions. Official communications will not include requests for private keys, recovery phrases, or asset transfers for recovery or compensation purposes.

South Korea continues to show robust retail and institutional demand for XRP, making swift communication during such incidents particularly vital for the local crypto community.

DCENT clarified that its App Wallet is a software-only mobile wallet, designed to operate independently or alongside its hardware products. The hardware wallets have not displayed any signs of compromise according to current assessments.

Security Best Practices for Crypto InvestorsAmid rapid market movements and ongoing security concerns, crypto investors are increasingly looking for ways to safeguard and manage their portfolios more efficiently. Unifying technical analysis, asset monitoring, and real-time information across secure platforms is becoming the preferred strategy. In a market where a single Fed decision or a sudden altcoin listing can change everything in seconds, jumping between different apps for charts, news, and portfolio tracking is costing investors money. Smart traders are now utilizing privacy-first tools like CryptoAppsy to consolidate everything. Without even the hassle of creating an account, you get real-time charts, smart price alerts, coin-specific news, and critical macro data all on one screen.

DCENT reiterated that it does not maintain official customer support accounts on X. Users are advised not to engage with any contacts claiming otherwise, and not to follow any recovery instructions, wallet addresses, or links sent through unofficial channels, including emails and social media.

The company cautioned, users should never provide their recovery phrase or private keys under any circumstance, and should not initiate transfers to addresses obtained from DMs or unverified sources, as DCENT will never make such requests.

The investigation into the security issue continues, and further updates will be shared through official channels as necessary.

Original source text
A leading trader identified as a Grade S whale on Hyperliquid, a decentralized derivatives trading platform, has increased their XRP long position by $933,000, according to data shared by crypto commentator Xaif (@Xaif_Crypto) on September 15.

Major XRP position and trading recordThe Grade S trader now holds a total of $1.04 million in XRP at 20x leverage, with an entry price of $1.4002. As of the latest mark price of $1.4015, the position reflects a gain of 0.09%. The margin placed for this position stands at $52,200.

This wallet ranks 172nd by performance on Hyperliquid and boasts a 99.1% win rate. The associated account manages $5.08 million, with a realized profit and loss (PnL) of $411,900 over the past 30 days. The trader’s Sharpe ratio, a key measure of risk-adjusted return, is reported at 4.44. Additionally, the trader has posted profits on all 16 of the last 16 trading days, indicating exceptional consistency.

The Grade S wallet maintains a 99.1% win rate and has achieved profits on every trading day in the last month, highlighting a remarkable level of consistency and risk management.

Mini dictionary: Hyperliquid, a decentralized crypto derivatives exchange that enables high-leverage trading of digital assets directly from user-owned wallets, ranking traders according to their historical performance.

Comparison with recent whale activityThis move comes after another whale established a large position in XRP on the same platform. In August, a separate trader opened a $51.10 million XRP long at an entry level of $1.0685 starting on August 19. On August 22, the same entity increased the holding with an additional $23.89 million at an average entry of $1.2533. This sizable position resulted in $11.51 million in open profit at the time, while the wallet’s total account value reached $70.24 million, reflecting a strong long bias in its portfolio.

During the same period, market sentiment among top XRP traders on Hyperliquid leaned bearish. At the end of August, 16 out of the platform’s top 20 XRP traders held short positions, primarily between $1.22 and $1.52 with 20x leverage. Several of these short positions faced notable unrealized losses as market conditions shifted.

These include a $997,500 position in DOGE at 10x leverage, entered at $0.082613 and marked at $0.082717. The second trade is the $1.04 million position in XRP at 20x, while the third is a $1.95 million short in ZEC at 10x leverage, entered at $972.0296 and currently marked at $1,144.56. The ZEC trade has moved 17.75% against the trader. Collectively, these open positions have generated an unrealized loss of $291,100, with the majority due to the adverse move in ZEC.

The position management and overall profitability suggest the Grade S whale continues to employ high-risk, high-reward tactics, using substantial leverage across various assets while closely monitoring market opportunities.

Xaif described the Grade S whale’s performance by stating that this trader “doesn’t miss,” reflecting the wallet’s impressive track record and high win rate across recent trades on Hyperliquid.

Ripple CEO Blames Democrats' 'Politics' for CLARITY Act Failure
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse criticized Senate Democrats after the CLARITY Act failed to advance Tuesday, but said crypto regulation in the U.S. could now shift toward rulemaking by the SEC and CFTC.

The regulatory setback leaves Ripple and XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) largely unscathed.

Why Garlinghouse Says ‘This One Stings‘Garlinghouse on Wednesday noted that Ripple and the broader crypto industry had invested significant effort in pushing the legislation across the finish line.

“This one stings,” Garlinghouse said, arguing that the consumers and U.S. competitiveness got left behind.

He blamed the outcome on what he described as “the politics of the democrats,” adding that a “post-mortem” was needed to understand why negotiations failed.

Trending

Democratic opposition centered largely on concerns that the bill’s ethics provisions did not go far enough to address potential conflicts involving President Donald Trump’s crypto interests.

Several Republicans also voted against advancing the measure.

How Will SEC, CFTC Take Center StageDespite the setback, Garlinghouse said there is still "reason for optimism for crypto in the United States."

He expects the SEC, led by Chair Paul Atkins, and CFTC, led by Chair Michael Selig, to continue developing rules to address the regulatory gaps left by Congress.

The two agencies have already moved toward greater coordination, issuing joint guidance in March on how federal securities laws apply to crypto assets.

Garlinghouse said Ripple plans to remain actively involved in that rulemaking process, while stressing that the failed Senate vote does not change the company’s business momentum.

What Drives XRP To Stand On ‘Settled Ground’Ripple Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty emphasized that the CLARITY Act setback does not change XRP’s (CRYPTO: XRP) existing regulatory position.

"Ripple and XRP stand on settled ground," Alderoty said pointing to SEC-CFTC interpretation issued in March, which explicitly lists XRP among crypto assets classified as digital commodities under the framework.

Over the past 24 hours, XRP price tumbled below key support levels, however, institutional demand remained resilient.

U.S. spot XRP ETFs recorded zero outflows on Sept. 15, compared with $450.3 million in net outflows from Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) ETFs and $141.5 million from Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) ETFs.

Why XRP Was Hit Hardest After the CLARITY Act Senate Failure
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Trading data pointed to aggressive selling, with XRP's cumulative volume delta plunging to negative 10.5 million.

XRP fell about 8% over the past 24 hours, one of the worst showings among the top cryptocurrencies, after the US Senate failed to advance the Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act on Tuesday.

The drop left XRP down well over 10% for the week, well behind Bitcoin and most other major coins, and it shows how closely tied the token’s price still is to progress on crypto legislation in Washington.

The Selling Was Not Just Profit-Taking XRP’s price ran from around $1.46 per CoinGecko data to near $1.27, with analyst Xaif Crypto noting that its cumulative volume delta (CVD) cratered to negative 10.5 million as the price dumped.

“Sellers aren’t hiding anymore, this is aggressive dumping not just profit taking,” they wrote on X.

The selloff tracked the Senate vote almost exactly. Cloture on the bill, formally known as H.R. 3633, needed 60 votes and got 49. Every yes vote came from Republicans, and four of their own broke ranks to vote no.

Furthermore, Senators Gillibrand, Warner, Booker, Warnock, Gallego, Alsobrooks, and Cortez Masto all voted no after months of talks, meaning no Democrats crossed over to support it.

The CLARITY Act is meant to divide oversight of digital assets between the SEC and CFTC and bring exchanges, brokers, and dealers under a new federal registration regime, provisions the market had been pricing ahead of the Tuesday vote.

At the time of writing, CoinGecko data put XRP around $1.28, down over 8% in 24 hours and more than 10% in seven days. The picture looks different further out, with the Ripple token still up close to 29% over the past 30 days, even after this week’s drop, although it remains down more than 56% across one year and about 65% below its all-time high of $3.65 from July 2025.

On its part, Ethereum dropped close to 4%, which saw it trading a few bucks under $2,400.

Stellar dipped even harder than XRP, shaving nearly 9% from its value, while BNB was only slightly ruffled, with its price dropping less than 1%.

Zcash gained about 3%, and Hyperliquid fell more than 2% over the same period, while Dogecoin slipped 3.7% and Solana lost over 4%, in line with the rest of the market’s retreat.

For XRP, the immediate price damage does not change its legal position, as pointed out by Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, who also stated that his company “has never been stronger” despite the CLARITY setback.

XRP drops 9% to $1.28 after Senate rejects CLARITY Act
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP’s price fell sharply by 9%, reaching $1.28, following the U.S. Senate’s rejection of the CLARITY Act, a legislative measure crucial for establishing its legal standing. The act’s failure has significant implications for Ripple Labs, which has been embroiled in ongoing legal battles with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) over whether XRP should be classified as a security. The market reaction suggests that participants view the rejection as a setback for XRP’s regulatory clarity and future prospects. In light of these developments, the probability of XRP reaching key price targets in September appears to have been affected.

Market data indicates a noticeable decline in the likelihood of XRP achieving significant price milestones this month. The probability of XRP reaching $3.00 in September has remained low, currently priced at 1.3% YES, showing little movement over the past week. Similarly, the odds for XRP reaching $2.00 have decreased, consistent with the broader market’s reaction to the legislative setback. The rejection of the CLARITY Act by the Senate appears to have reinforced concerns about regulatory hurdles facing XRP and similar digital assets.

The broader implications of this development extend beyond XRP’s immediate price action. Market participants are closely monitoring how Ripple Labs will navigate this legal landscape and what strategic moves the company might make to mitigate potential regulatory risks. Additionally, the market’s attention is focused on potential shifts in XRP’s use cases and adoption, which could influence its market trajectory in the coming months.

Key Takeaways XRP’s recent price decline appears to be linked to the Senate’s rejection of the CLARITY Act, impacting its legal clarity. Market pricing suggests a decreased likelihood of XRP reaching higher price targets in September, reflecting regulatory uncertainties. Participants appear to interpret the legislative outcome as a significant hurdle for Ripple Labs’ ongoing efforts to secure regulatory clarity. What to Watch Observers should closely monitor any statements from Ripple Labs’ leadership, including CEO Brad Garlinghouse and President Monica Long, regarding their next steps following the CLARITY Act’s failure. Future developments in the U.S. regulatory landscape, especially any SEC actions or policy statements, could further influence XRP’s market dynamics. Additionally, attention will be on any strategic partnerships or technological advancements by Ripple that could alter the outlook for XRP’s adoption and utility.

Louisville Athletics announced a multi-year partnership with Ripple on September 15, bringing XRP branding to the Cardinals’ basketball programs beginning this season. Under the deal, detailed in the university’s official announcement, the XRP logo becomes a permanent fixture on Denny Crum Court while Ripple also funds financial and technology education for student-athletes. Ripple describes XRP as an asset designed to move money around the world in seconds at a fraction of the cost of traditional banking, developed for fast and low-cost global payments.

XRP Branding Comes to Denny Crum Court The XRP logo will appear on the playing surface for every Louisville home game, while Coach Denny Crum’s iconic insignia remains a permanent fixture inside the three-point arc. Beyond the court, XRP branding will extend to TV-visible courtside signage and in-venue promotions throughout the KFC Yum! Center, as well as the program’s digital and social channels and men’s and women’s basketball radio broadcasts. Louisville did not disclose financial terms of the agreement, which was facilitated by the Cardinals’ multimedia rights partner, Learfield, a media and technology company that works with more than 1,200 collegiate institutions.

Education and Adoption at the Center of the Deal The partnership carries an educational component, with Ripple supporting financial and technology instruction for student-athletes and the broader campus community across both traditional finance and digital assets. Athletics director Josh Heird said Ripple “was very intentional about aligning with premier basketball brands,” adding that the deal “speaks to the strength of our basketball tradition, the national reach of the Louisville brand and the passion of our fan base.” Learfield’s president of sports properties, Kim Damron, said the agreement will “expand XRP’s presence in the college sports landscape.”

Ripple’s Expanding College Sports Footprint The Louisville agreement is the latest in a series of collegiate sponsorships from the XRP developer, which previously put its logo on the field through a deal with Florida Athletics. The push reflects XRP’s broader move into mainstream finance and consumer adoption, a trend BlockchainReporter has tracked as XRP expands deeper into traditional finance. Ripple, founded in 2012, provides payments, custody, prime brokerage and treasury management solutions, holding more than 85 licenses as a single entry point for enterprises bridging traditional and digital finance on the XRP Ledger.

Crypto analyst sees $2.50 price target for XRP after cup and handle breakout
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP is trading near a significant technical level as crypto analyst Steph Is Crypto highlights a bullish cup-and-handle pattern on the daily chart, targeting a potential move toward $2.50. The analysis arrives at a time when XRP remains below $1.50, leaving market participants attentive for confirmation of a larger price breakout.

Technical pattern signals upside for XRPSteph Is Crypto, a market analyst known for chart-based evaluations of digital assets, presented a cup-and-handle formation on XRP’s daily chart in a recent post on X. The formation stretches across months of price activity, showing an initial decline from $1.50 to below $1.00 in August, followed by a steady recovery. The asset then approached the $1.50 zone again before retracting and forming the handle, according to the analysis.

The current chart displays XRP around $1.29, with the upper threshold of the pattern near $1.50. Steph Is Crypto’s projection suggests that a decisive move above this resistance area could propel the price toward $2.50 in the coming period.

Steph Is Crypto identifies a cup and handle structure in XRP, noting, “Price Target: $2.50” alongside the multi-month chart.

The cup-and-handle pattern is widely recognized in technical analysis as a bullish continuation signal, typically indicating that an asset could experience another upward move once the pattern completes. For XRP, this would require overcoming resistance at $1.50 and sustaining momentum above that level.

Mini dictionary: Cup-and-handle pattern, a technical analysis formation believed to indicate bullish momentum. The pattern features a rounded “cup” shape created by a decline, a recovery to the previous high, then a small downward “handle” before a potential breakout.

XRP faces key resistance levelAccording to the analysis, the $1.50 area serves as a crucial boundary. The projected move from roughly $1.38 to $2.50 would represent a substantial increase if the pattern follows through.

Price LevelDescription$1.00Previous low during August decline$1.29Current price on the chart$1.50Pattern resistance and breakout trigger$2.50Technical price targetSteph Is Crypto emphasizes that $2.50 is a technical target based on the pattern, not a guaranteed result. The price must first achieve and hold above the $1.50 resistance level for the bullish momentum to validate the prediction.

The cup-and-handle pattern places $1.50 as the breakout point, with $2.50 as the next potential target if momentum continues.

The analysis has sparked discussion among traders, some of whom remain cautious about relying strictly on technical indicators. One commenter, Raj, referenced a Senate vote scheduled for September 15 and an anticipated rate decision, pointing out that macro events may drive unpredictable price moves regardless of chart patterns.

Cassator Corp. viewed the projected price optimistically, noting that achieving $2.50 would help make recent periods of stagnant performance less difficult for holders.

By contrast, OKG Studio expressed skepticism, observing that traders have often cited similar cup-and-handle setups for XRP in the past without seeing the anticipated rally materialize.

For now, Steph Is Crypto’s analysis centers on whether XRP can clear the pattern’s upper boundary. Developments in monetary policy and market sentiment could ultimately determine whether the technical projection toward $2.50 is realized.

Top Reasons Why Crypto Market Is Falling Ahead of FOMC Decision

The Crypto market fell 1.65% over 24 hours, reducing its total value to $2.59 trillion on Wednesday ahead of the FOMC decision.

The Fear and Greed Index reads 63, showing greed despite the latest market corrections.

Bitcoin price hovered near $75,000, Ethereum remained below $2,400, and XRP slipped beneath $1.30. That backdrop has kept market participants increasingly defensive.

Crypto Market Dip Ahead of FOMC Decision as Rate Hike Fears Rise The Federal Reserve will make its decision at 2:00 p.m. ET, and then Warsh will speak 30 minutes later.

According to FedWatch data, there’s a 92.5% chance of a 25-basis-point increase. That move would lift the target range from 3.50%-3.75% to 3.75%-4.00%.

Fed watch data Higher rates typically squeeze speculative assets, drive up the cost of borrowing and increase the appeal of safer assets.

A hold would indicate relief buying, while strong calls for more gains would lengthen the Crypto Market Slide.

The outlook is further complicated by crude oil prices pushing above $100.

Persistent Middle East tensions have supported oil, strengthening arguments for tighter monetary policy.

CLARITY Act Senate Setback Deepens Regulatory Uncertainty On September 15, the Senate voted 49-50 to reject cloture on the CLARITY Act. Approval of the proposal required 60 votes to go to a full debate.

The failure left the hopes of near-term trading and oversight of digital assets hit a setback.

XRP was more impacted by policy-sensitive tokens, which saw an 8.18% drop during the general sell-off in the Crypto Market.

CLARITY Act failed, but crypto isn’t stopping.

The measure lives on a procedural level but has been whittled down in its chances before the November midterm elections.

House committees will now be considering two very different measures that may provide some support.

Qualifying transaction fees of $10 or less would be exempt under the Digital Asset Tax Certainty Act.

The American Reserve Modernization Act will leave approximately $25 billion worth of Bitcoin in government hands, at least for 20 years.

BTC, ETH and XRP ETFs Show Weakening Institutional Demand U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $450 million in net outflows on Tuesday. One day earlier that was reversed by $160 million in inflows.

Ethereum took a loss of approximately $141 million after moving in for a sum of $121 million on Monday and $216 million on Friday.

XRP ETF trading volume did not see any notable activity since the ETFs garnered approximately $11 million worth of trading volume last session.

According to SoSoValue data, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw total net outflows of $450 million on September 15 Eastern Time, led by Fidelity’s FBTC with a net outflow of $215 million. They continue to receive $1.71 billion in total inflows and $1.41 billion in assets under management.

Some short-term pressure can be expected to increase in the Crypto Market due to more and more redemptions, which can affect the support of institutions.

Bitcoin, ETH, and XRP Price Predictions: Key Levels to Watch Bitcoin price needs to protect the 75,000 to ensure that the momentum does not go to low support areas.

A recovery of over 76,000 would manage to stabilize sentiment before traders can test harder resistance.

Ethereum price must regain $2,400, which has shifted from support to near-term resistance.

A drop below that might leave Ethereum vulnerable to further fall since the liquidity is still hesitant.

XRP price has to regain lost ground around $1.30 following a sharp decline on Monday around the $1.50 mark.

Coin 360 data If the token is not secured, it remains at risk, particularly if there is continued uncertainty in Washington.

If the dovish camouflage becomes a reality, it could lead to any of the three assets having rebounds.

However, a hike paired with hawkish guidance may extend losses and increase volatility throughout the Crypto Market.

Senate rejects CLARITY Act after 49-50 vote, delaying crypto regulation until 2030
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
The US Senate has rejected the CLARITY Act, a bill designed to introduce a federal regulatory framework for digital assets, after narrowly failing to secure the 60 votes required to advance. The final floor vote stood at 49 in favor and 50 against, blocking the path to cloture and leaving current cryptocurrency oversight unchanged.

Breakdown of the Senate voteThe bill lost key support from several Democrats who had participated in negotiations for months before voting against it. Among those opposed were Senators Kirsten Gillibrand, Mark Warner, Cory Booker, Raphael Warnock, Ruben Gallego, Angela Alsobrooks, and Catherine Cortez Masto.

Three Republican Senators—Susan Collins, Josh Hawley, and Jerry Moran—also voted no. Senator Thom Tillis opposed the measure via a procedural motion to recommit, further weakening the bill’s prospects.

Eleanor Terrett, an experienced financial reporter, cited an unnamed industry leader describing the bill’s fate succinctly: “It died.”

Several Democrats who had spent months negotiating the CLARITY Act, including Gillibrand, Warner, Booker, Warnock, Gallego, Alsobrooks, and Cortez Masto, voted no, halting the bill’s advancement.

Content and changes in the CLARITY ActThe proposed CLARITY Act intended to divide regulatory responsibilities between the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), granting distinct oversight powers for different types of digital assets. The legislation had previously cleared the House of Representatives in July 2025 and made its way through the Senate Agriculture and Banking Committees in 2026, but it met with significant opposition on the Senate floor.

In the days leading up to the vote, Republican lawmakers implemented 126 changes at the request of Democrats and circulated a 635-page amended version. Nonetheless, Democrats produced their own counter-offer the morning of the vote, which Republicans did not accept. Although President Donald Trump had reportedly agreed to Democratic proposals involving new ethics provisions, these concessions failed to secure the necessary votes.

Republican dissent also influenced the outcome. Senator Collins raised concerns about the bill’s effects on community bank deposits, an issue Jerry Moran shared. Josh Hawley, meanwhile, argued the act would favor major financial technology firms over smaller banks and competitors. Senator Tillis opted for a procedural maneuver rather than an outright no.

Senator Cynthia Lummis projected that the next opportunity to introduce comprehensive crypto regulation may not arrive until 2030, potentially leaving investors and companies subject to evolving agency guidance rather than clear statutory law.

The SEC and CFTC have indicated plans to advance digital asset policy through regulatory actions in absence of Congressional approval. However, SEC Chair Paul Atkins cautioned that, without congressional backing, such rules could lack long-term stability.

If Democrats take control of the House in the upcoming elections, the path for any crypto market structure legislation will become significantly more challenging.

The newly seated Congress in January will assume responsibility for further consideration of digital asset regulation, but prospects for significant movement remain uncertain.

XRP News: Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse Vows Post-Mortem After CLARITY Act Defeat
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse says Monday’s CLARITY Act defeat “stings,” and he’s promising a full breakdown of what went wrong in the days ahead. The CLARITY Act failed to advance in the Senate, falling well short of the 60 votes needed for cloture, not even reaching 50 votes.

Garlinghouse called it a painful loss for the industry as a whole, not just Ripple. “This was an opportunity bigger than Ripple or one company,” he said. “We did this for the industry, for consumers and to cement the US’s position as the crypto capital of the world. Ultimately, consumers and U.S. competitiveness got left behind.”

Garlinghouse placed blame squarely on Democratic opposition, saying “the politics of the Democrats” were elevated over good policy, and promised a detailed post-mortem on why the bill collapsed.

A Reversal From Days of Optimism

The defeat marks a turn from Garlinghouse’s tone just before the vote, when he urged the Senate to back the bill, calling it “the product of real, substantive trades policymakers made to get here” and insisting “perfect can’t be the enemy of good.”

At the time, he pushed senators not to treat CLARITY as something to settle for. “This isn’t a deal Senators should be ‘settling for,’ it’s a deal that they should stand behind,” he wrote, adding, “now is the time to vote yes.”

Where Ripple Goes From Here

Despite the setback, Garlinghouse pointed to continued momentum for both crypto broadly and Ripple specifically, noting the SEC under Chair Atkins and CFTC under Chair Selig will keep working to fill the legislative gap through rulemaking, with Ripple staying actively engaged in that process.

“Ripple’s business has never been stronger,” he said, “a missed vote in Washington doesn’t change our momentum, our global footprint, or our customers.”

Ripple’s chief legal officer Stuart Alderoty echoed that outlook, reminding followers that XRP’s legal standing remains intact regardless of the vote, pointing to the 2023 federal court ruling that XRP is not a security, along with a March joint SEC-CFTC interpretation classifying XRP as a digital commodity.

Ripple (XRP) CEO Brad Garlinghouse Speaks About the Clarity Act Vote
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse made strong statements following the failure of the CLARITY Act to pass the US Senate, which failed to secure the necessary 60 votes. Garlinghouse stated that the cryptocurrency sector had worked hard to get the bill passed, arguing that its failure harmed American consumers and the country’s global competitiveness.

Garlinghouse stated, “This really hurts,” adding that the Ripple team is doing everything in its power to finalize the CLARITY Act. He also added that a large part of the crypto sector is working hard to move the bill forward.

According to the Ripple CEO, the initiative was not solely in the interests of Ripple or a single company. Garlinghouse stated that the regulation was important for the entire crypto sector, consumers, and the US’s ambition to become the world’s “crypto capital.” He also argued that a significant opportunity to strengthen the US’s leading position in the future financial system had been missed.

Garlinghouse stated that a comprehensive assessment of why the bill failed was needed and that he would provide further details in the coming days. Directly criticizing the Democrats, Garlinghouse said, “The Democrats’ politics—their anti-crypto military—got in the way of good politics.”

However, Garlinghouse said he wasn’t entirely pessimistic about the future of the crypto sector in the US. Noting that regulatory bodies would play a larger role following the failure of the Clarity Act, the Ripple CEO stated that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), headed by Paul Atkins, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), under Michael Selig, would continue working on new rules to fill the legislative gap.

Garlinghouse stated that Ripple will continue to actively participate in these regulatory processes, adding that the company is currently in a strong position.

Garlinghouse argued that Ripple is experiencing one of its strongest periods in its history thanks to genuine demand from the traditional financial sector and the digital asset ecosystem. Stating that a failed vote in Washington would not change the company’s growth momentum, global operations, or customers, the Ripple CEO conveyed the message that the company would continue its operations as before despite the defeat of the CLARITY Act.

RippleX Ships Batch V1.1 Amendment for XRP Ledger After Fixing Critical Bug
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Table of contents

Ripple’s developer arm RippleX has declared the XRP Ledger’s Batch amendment ready for activation, publishing a technical review on Monday that explains how the feature was rebuilt after a critical security flaw was found in the original version. The corrected Batch V1.1 ships in xrpld v3.3.0 and will let multiple transactions from different accounts settle atomically in a single ledger close — a capability RippleX frames as foundational for atomic swaps and multi-party coordination on the network.

Why the Original Batch Was Pulled The original Batch amendment, XLS-56, was set aside after security researchers and Cantina AI flagged a critical flaw in its signature-validation routine on Feb. 19, 2026. The checkBatchSign function, which confirms each inner-transaction account has authorized a batch, contained an early-return bug: when it hit a signer whose account did not yet exist on the ledger, it returned success and skipped validation of every remaining signer. RippleX said the flaw could have let an attacker execute transactions on behalf of victim accounts without their private keys. Because the amendment was still in its voting phase and had not activated on mainnet, no funds were at risk.

How Batch V1.1 Was Hardened Batch V1.1 is a replacement amendment that eliminates the early-return bug. RippleX said the root-cause fix was merged through pull request #6446 and reviewed by four senior engineers, with additional assurance from a Sherlock Batch Attackathon contest, a Halborn re-assessment and a Common Prefix audit. An AI-assisted static analysis pipeline that includes a Cantina scan has been folded into the release process, alongside regression testing on devnet and testnet. The amendment ships in the xrpld v3.3.0 release, which bundles it with five other proposals.

Atomic Transactions and What Comes Next Batch is designed to let several XRPL transactions execute as a single all-or-nothing unit, so a batch either fully succeeds or fully reverts — a design aimed at atomic swaps and coordinated settlements. Like every XRP Ledger amendment, Batch V1.1 must hold an 80 percent validator majority for 14 consecutive days before it activates, according to the network’s amendment tracker, so it remains in its voting phase for now. The ledger has drawn wider attention this month: the Bank for International Settlements recently tested the network to anchor official statistics on-chain, while XRP has pushed deeper into traditional finance as ETF demand and derivatives access expand.

Ether was next hardest hit at nearly 5% lower to about $2,410, with solana down 5% to just above $97 and dogecoin down nearly 5%. Zcash and hyperliquid's HYPE each fell close to 4%, and bitcoin slipped nearly 3% to just above $76,000. BNB and tron were the mildest at about 1% each.

The bill went down on a 49-50 cloture vote, the procedural step that needs 60 senators to move legislation to debate, with multiple Republicans voting no.

Negotiators had produced more than 600 pages of compromise text, and the provision that broke it was ethics language meant to stop senior government officials from keeping crypto business interests.

Senator Elissa Slotkin, a Michigan Democrat, said she voted no because "the ethics provisions in this bill are simply too thin," pointing to President Donald Trump, his children and his Cabinet earning money in crypto.

She also said the Commodity Futures Trading Commission lacks the staffing to implement the law, and that the bill left gaps on money laundering and terrorist financing.

Coinbase fell nearly 9% to $174.42 and Circle dropped more than 9% to $88.26, with Galaxy Digital down 8% and Gemini 7%. Bullish and Riot Platforms each lost 5%, eToro 4%, and Robinhood, MARA Holdings, CleanSpark, IREN and Core Scientific fell between 3% and 4%.

Attention now moves to the regulators the bill was meant to bind.

The Securities and Exchange Commission is already working on its proposed Reg Crypto framework and rules for tokenized securities, which becomes the only route to the certainty the industry wanted from Congress.

Industry political action committees including Fairshake have to decide how to treat the senators who voted no before the Nov. 3 election, and a new Congress convenes in January 2027.

The Federal Reserve decides on rates later Wednesday with traders leaning toward a quarter-point hike, with it landing on a market that has just watched its legislative bid collapse and is already selling risk.

Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP hit fresh selling pressure following the failure of the U.S. Senate to pass CLARITY Act. A process vote on the bill was unsuccessful with fewer than 60 votes. The defeat follows months of talks between Republicans and Democrats on the digital-asset market structure bill. According to the latest market data,

XRP Takes The Heaviest Hit As Bitcoin, Ethereum Also Dip As of writing, Bitcoin price hovered near $75,976.10 with a 3.7% dip, while Ethereum plunged 5.2% and stood at $2,404.20. Furthermore, XRP saw a huge drop of 7.3%, currently trading at $1.31 at the time of writing.

One point of contention was the ethics language of the bill. Democrats pointed out that the provisions didn’t go far enough to protect the interests of federal officials in the crypto market, especially those of Trump and his family.

Before the vote, Republicans had added ethics restrictions and enforcement changes. But negotiations fell short of securing necessary support for the procedural motion.

Why Did the CLARITY Act Fail and Will Crypto Prices Crash Further?
BTC Bitcoin ETH Ethereum WLFI World Liberty Financial XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
The CLARITY Act failed to advance in the US Senate on Tuesday, September 15, dealing a major setback to the crypto industry’s biggest regulatory push in years.

Senators voted 49-50 on a procedural motion to move forward with the bill. It needed 60 votes. The vote was on whether the Senate should begin considering the legislation, rather than final passage.

So why did it fail?

1. Democrats Wanted Trump to Sell Large Crypto Holdings
This became the biggest disagreement in the final hours.

Republicans made a major concession before the vote. Their final bill required senior officials with a “significant financial interest” in certain crypto companies to either sell that interest or place it in a qualified blind trust.

Democrats wanted to go further.

Their final counteroffer would have required officials with a “very large interest” in a crypto company to sell it, removing the blind-trust option for those holdings. Democratic negotiator Angela Alsobrooks said divestment was the major unresolved issue before the vote.

The difference is simple. Under the Republican proposal, an official could remain financially invested through a blind trust. Democrats wanted very large interests sold completely.

Crypto billionaires have spent nearly $300M on the midterm elections.

Meanwhile, Trump and his family have pocketed more than $1.4B from crypto deals.

Now the crypto industry wants Congress to do its bidding by passing the corrupt CLARITY Act.

The Senate must say NO.

— Bernie Sanders (@BernieSanders) September 15, 2026

2. Democrats Wanted the Rules to Cover Trump’s Children
The Republican bill covered senior elected officials, federal judges and their spouses. Democrats wanted the ethics restrictions expanded further, including to children of covered officials.

That was particularly relevant because Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Barron Trump have links to World Liberty Financial.

The Democratic counteroffer also sought tighter restrictions around paid crypto promotions.

Republicans rejected those additional changes on Tuesday morning. Sen. Cynthia Lummis’ office argued Democrats were repeating demands Republicans had already considered during months of negotiations.

Today, I voted no on the Clarity Act, legislation meant to regulate cryptocurrency in America.

The ethics provisions in this bill are simply too thin. President Trump, his children, and his Cabinet are making billions of dollars in the crypto space, in part from bilking everyday…

— Sen. Elissa Slotkin (@SenatorSlotkin) September 15, 2026

3. Democrats Still Had Concerns About Who Would Enforce the Rules
Republicans had already moved considerably on enforcement.

Earlier versions gave the US attorney general the main enforcement role. Democrats argued that created an obvious problem: a Justice Department controlled by the president could be responsible for enforcing ethics rules against that same president.

The final Republican bill gave state attorneys general a role in enforcement, one of the concessions President Trump accepted before the vote.

Democrats still argued that the mechanism left too much authority inside the federal administration and could make enforcement difficult in practice.

Hot take: Trump coin, World Liberty, USD1, and Melania coin are why CLARITY failed.

An unprecedented $1.3 billion pocketed. More than all past U.S. presidents made during their terms combined.

— Dennis Porter (@Dennis_Porter_) September 15, 2026

4. Banks and Crypto Companies Were Still Fighting Over Stablecoin Rewards
Ethics was the final major obstacle, but another fight remained unresolved.

Banks have warned that stablecoins paying rewards could pull deposits out of traditional banks. That could particularly hurt smaller community banks that rely on deposits to fund loans.

The final CLARITY draft gave the Treasury secretary temporary authority to restrict stablecoin rewards if they caused damaging deposit outflows.

Some lawmakers still wanted stronger protection for banks. Sen. Josh Hawley, one of the Republicans who opposed advancing the bill, raised concerns about community banks.

The CLARITY Act didn't advance in the Senate today, which was a disappointment. While it's possible bi-partisan conversations continue and it lives to fight another day, we can't wait on Congress anymore.

The SEC and CFTC have the tools they need to create clear rules under…

— Brian Armstrong (@brian_armstrong) September 15, 2026

5. Illicit Finance and DeFi Rules Were Still an Issue
Democrats also wanted stronger protections around money laundering, national security and illicit finance.

The latest Republican draft made changes to DeFi regulation and anti-money laundering requirements. However, lawmakers including Elizabeth Warren argued that more work was still needed.

These issues contributed to the wider disagreement, although divestment and presidential ethics were the clearest final sticking points.

Crypto Prices Fell Before the Vote Was Even Over
The reaction has been clearly negative, especially in assets most exposed to U.S. crypto regulation. Bitcoin fell more than 5% during Tuesday’s sell-off, while Coinbase and Circle shares fell as much as 10%. Ethereum dropped more than 6%, while XRP lost roughly 12% at one point.

Part of the decline began before the Senate vote.

Markets could see negotiations breaking down during the morning. That meant traders were already reducing risk before senators officially voted.

CLARITY was also only one source of pressure.

US Treasury yields climbed above 5%, oil prices surged above $100 and markets were preparing for a Federal Reserve interest-rate decision on September 16. Higher interest rates generally make risk assets such as crypto less attractive.

Will Crypto Prices Keep Falling?
Further losses are possible, although CLARITY alone may have already caused most of its immediate damage.

Dennis Porter, co-founder of Satoshi Action Fund, made this argument to BeInCrypto more than a month before the vote.

“I think failure is priced in right now,” Porter told BeInCrypto.

At the time, Polymarket gave CLARITY only around a 16% chance of becoming law in 2026. Porter argued that a failed vote could therefore have less impact on crypto prices than many investors expected.

He also said clear rules could encourage larger institutions to make longer-term crypto investments. He expected that benefit to appear gradually rather than produce an immediate Bitcoin rally.

So far, that argument has partly held up.

Bitcoin suffered a meaningful decline after negotiations collapsed, but there has been no CLARITY-driven market crash on the scale that might occur after a completely unexpected regulatory shock.

Assets more directly exposed to US crypto regulation were hit harder. XRP fell much more sharply than Bitcoin, while Coinbase suffered a double-digit decline.

The next major market driver is now likely to be the Federal Reserve.

If rates rise and the Fed signals further tightening, crypto could face more pressure. A softer message could instead help risk assets recover.

What Happens to the CLARITY Act Now?
The bill is stalled, but there is still a route to revive it.

September 15: The Senate failed to invoke cloture, with the vote ending 49-50.
Before October 5: Senators could reopen negotiations and attempt another procedural vote if Republicans and Democrats reach a new compromise.
October 5-November 6: The Senate is scheduled for a state work period covering the November 3 midterm elections.
After November 6: Congress could try again during the post-election session.
December 18: The Senate’s current schedule lists this as its target adjournment date.
January 2027: If Congress does not pass the legislation before the current Congress ends, lawmakers would have to introduce legislation again in the next Congress.

There is one important procedural detail.

Republican Sen. Thom Tillis switched his vote to “no” at the end of Tuesday’s vote, preserving a route to seek reconsideration later. That means another attempt remains possible if negotiators can find enough votes.

For now, the biggest question is whether Republicans and Democrats are willing to reopen the ethics negotiations.

Without a compromise on divestment and enforcement, CLARITY still does not have the 60 Senate votes it needs to move forward.

Ripple Shows How XRP Survived CLARITY Act Setback, MicroStrategy Says Bitcoin Never Needed It

Ripple and MicroStrategy told investors nothing legal changed for XRP and Bitcoin (BTC) after the Senate blocked the CLARITY Act on Tuesday. The bill would have written crypto’s US market rules into federal law.

The vote failed 49 to 50. Backers needed 60. Crypto markets reacted, but the impact was quickly contained.

Bitcoin and XRP Price Performances. Source: TradingViewRipple and MicroStrategy Say the Legal Ground Has Not MovedStuart Alderoty, Ripple’s chief legal officer, pointed to two wins that came before the vote.

A 2023 federal court ruling found XRP sales on exchanges were not securities deals. The same judge found Ripple’s sales to institutions did break securities law.

Then in March, two US regulators went further. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) listed XRP among 16 assets called digital commodities.

“Don’t forget – Ripple and XRP stand on settled ground. The 2023 federal Court ruling established XRP is not a security. And in March the SEC and CFTC issued a joint interpretation naming XRP a digital commodity,” Alderoty wrote on X.

Strategy made the same case for Bitcoin. The firm, formerly MicroStrategy, holds 845,050 BTC bought for $63.73 billion. That is $75,412 a coin. Bitcoin traded near $76,206 after the vote. The stack sat roughly 1% above cost.

How Fast Democratic Support for the Bill CollapsedThe House passed the same bill 294 to 134 in July 2025. Some 78 Democrats backed it then. Fourteen months later, it died in the Senate.

Representative Tom Emmer, the House majority whip, named Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. He said she praised the industry at a March panel, then voted no.

Upset with Clarity failing? Blame a Senate Democrat. They are bad faith negotiators. In March, I was on stage with @gillibrandny at a @DigitalChamber panel where she “agreed” with me and claimed she wanted “the United States to be at the forefront of this industry.” Senator…

— Tom Emmer (@GOPMajorityWhip) September 15, 2026 Ahead of the vote, 18 state attorneys general had urged Congress to reject the text.

Chainlink said each month without rules pushes builders abroad. Grayscale said the industry continues to make remarkable progress through the ongoing work of regulators like the SEC and CFTC. Both now look to the two regulators to write what Congress would not.

“Our team gave everything we had to get the Clarity Act across the finish line… The politics of the democrats (the anti-crypto army) was elevated over good policy,” Ripple CEO Brad Garlingouse noted.

Vymopay Publishes Self-Custody Wallet Comparison for Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Altcoin Traders: What to Check Before Leaving an Exchange
BTC Bitcoin ETH Ethereum SOL Solana XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
As the self-custody wallet market matures beyond a single selling point, traders holding Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP and other cryptocurrencies are evaluating meaningfully different wallet architectures, each with genuine trade-offs.

For most of crypto’s history, the case for self-custody fit into four words: not your keys, not your coins. In 2026, that argument is largely won. The harder question for traders managing Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins such as USDT and USDC, and other digital assets is now: which wallet, and why?

The numbers tell two stories at once. Fifty-nine percent of crypto wallet users globally say they prefer non-custodial solutions, but Ledger estimates that only 30 million of 400 million crypto users worldwide actually practise self-custody, and just 10 million do so securely.

The gap between stated preference and practice has a cause: friction. Non-custodial swap volumes still rose more than 340% year-over-year through early 2026, hardware wallet sales reached $560 million in 2025, and the non-custodial wallet market is projected to grow from $4.8 billion to $18.3 billion by 2033.

The infrastructure being built to close that friction gap is also what makes the differences between today’s self-custody wallet options important for Bitcoin, Ethereum and altcoin traders.

Five wallets currently represent meaningfully different approaches.

Vymopay: Telegram-Native Self-Custody With AML Screening

Vymopay is a Telegram-native non-custodial wallet that requires no separate application download. It is built around a problem most self-custody options leave unaddressed: what happens to a trader’s wallet identity at the moment Bitcoin, Ethereum or another cryptocurrency is withdrawn from a centralized exchange.

Its Shield Address feature generates an intermediate receiving address. Funds sent to that address are automatically screened for AML risk and then forwarded to the user’s actual wallet without disclosing the final destination to the sender or originating exchange.

The feature is designed to reduce the risk of directly linking on-chain activity to a CEX-verified identity while keeping compliance controls intact.

Vymopay’s main features include:

Shield Address: Private forwarding with automatic AML screening; the user’s actual wallet address is not disclosed to the sender or exchange. Exchange: Market and limit orders executed from the same interface, with instant fill notifications. Crypto loans: Stablecoin liquidity against crypto collateral without requiring the immediate sale of the underlying asset. Staking: Users can stake and unstake supported crypto assets directly from the bot, with rewards tracked in one place. Up to 500 dedicated deposit addresses per asset: Per-customer or per-transaction attribution without manual reconciliation. Freeze Alert: Continuous wallet monitoring with real-time alerts and recurring AML reports. The trade-offs are also real. Vymopay has a shorter track record than MetaMask or Ledger, its distribution is dependent on Telegram, and its blockchain coverage is narrower than Trust Wallet’s.

MetaMask: A Leading Wallet for Ethereum and EVM Networks

MetaMask is the default entry point for activity on Ethereum and other EVM-compatible networks. It has more than 30 million monthly active users and deep integration across decentralized finance protocols.

Private keys are stored locally in the browser extension or mobile application, and no account registration is required.

Its primary limitation is structural. MetaMask is EVM-focused by default, provides no built-in AML screening and does not address the wallet-linkage issue that arises when a user withdraws Ethereum or another supported asset from a centralized exchange. The destination address remains recorded by the exchange.

Trust Wallet: Broad Support for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and Altcoins

Trust Wallet covers the broadest blockchain range among the mobile-native options included in this comparison. It supports more than 100 blockchains, including major networks used for Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL) and a wide range of altcoins.

The wallet reports approximately 220 million users and provides built-in access to decentralized exchanges. Its fast setup process is one reason it is commonly among the first wallets encountered by traders leaving centralized exchanges.

The trade-off is similar to MetaMask’s. Trust Wallet does not provide built-in compliance tooling or a mechanism that separates a trader’s on-chain activity from an exchange-verified identity during the withdrawal process.

Ledger: Offline Storage for Bitcoin and Ethereum Holdings

Ledger hardware wallets keep private keys entirely offline. This is why they remain a standard recommendation for the long-term storage of high-value Bitcoin, Ethereum and other cryptocurrency holdings.

Ledger Live supports most major blockchain networks and allows users to access features such as staking through the same interface.

The cost is ergonomic. Signing a transaction requires access to the physical device. For traders actively managing multiple positions, that additional friction can accumulate quickly.

The device may also be lost, damaged or confiscated. These risks exist in a different form from those associated with software wallets.

Exodus: Accessible Multi-Chain Desktop and Mobile Wallet

Exodus provides a multi-chain desktop and mobile wallet experience with built-in exchange and staking features. No account registration is required, and its design prioritises accessibility over technical depth.

Private keys are stored on the user’s device rather than dedicated hardware, placing Exodus below Ledger on the cold-storage security spectrum.

Exodus does not include dedicated compliance tooling, and its developer ecosystem is narrower than MetaMask’s for decentralized finance integrations.

What Bitcoin and Ethereum Traders Should Check Before Leaving an Exchange

No single self-custody wallet dominates across every category.

Cold-storage security points toward Ledger. Broad blockchain support and mobile accessibility point toward Trust Wallet. Ethereum-native and EVM-based DeFi integration point toward MetaMask. A multi-chain desktop experience with an accessible interface points toward Exodus.

Business-grade address management, private forwarding and integrated AML tooling point toward Vymopay, alongside the important caveat that a newer platform has less historical evidence showing how it performs under prolonged market and security pressure.

Before withdrawing Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins or altcoins from a centralized exchange, traders should therefore consider:

How and where private keys are stored. Which blockchain networks and crypto assets are supported. Whether the wallet provides AML or transaction-risk screening. Whether the withdrawal address becomes permanently connected to a CEX-verified identity. How recovery phrases and account recovery are managed. Whether the wallet is intended for active trading or long-term storage. The platform’s security history, audits and operational track record. Whether staking, exchange and lending features introduce additional smart-contract or counterparty risks. The right wallet ultimately depends on how the trader balances security, privacy, blockchain coverage, compliance requirements and ease of use.

About Vymopay

Vymopay is a non-custodial digital asset platform built inside Telegram. It is designed for individuals, traders, businesses and payment providers that need to manage, exchange, protect and grow digital assets, including widely traded cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, without switching between multiple applications.

Users retain control of their keys and funds at all times. AML compliance tools are integrated directly into the platform rather than being added as a separate external process.

BTC, XRP, SHIB Plunge After Clarity Failure: These Senators Voted Against It
BTC Bitcoin SHIB Shiba Inu XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Bitcoin, XRP and Shiba Inu are trading sharply lower after the U.S. Senate failed to advance the CLARITY Act, dealing a major blow to the cryptocurrency industry's push for comprehensive market structure legislation.

The crucial procedural vote failed 49-50 on Tuesday. Supporters needed 60 votes to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R. 3633, meaning the legislation fell well short of the threshold required to move forward.

The defeat added more pressure to an already weak cryptocurrency market.

HOT Stories

Bitcoin is currently trading near $76,000, down roughly 3.7% over the past 24 hours. XRP has suffered an even steeper decline, plunging more than 7% to around $1.30.

Shiba Inu has also joined the selloff. SHIB is changing hands at roughly $0.00000513, down around 3.7% on the day.

You Might Also Like

Ethereum, Solana and other major cryptocurrencies are also in the red.

These senators voted against CLARITYPerhaps the biggest surprise was the number of lawmakers who had previously participated in bipartisan crypto negotiations but ultimately voted against moving the bill forward.

Several prominent Democrats who had spent months negotiating the legislation voted no, including Kirsten Gillibrand, Mark Warner, Cory Booker, Raphael Warnock, Ruben Gallego, Angela Alsobrooks and Catherine Cortez Masto.

Warner, Alsobrooks, Booker, Gallego, Cortez Masto and Warnock had previously said that the Republican version of CLARITY needed stronger provisions covering ethics, consumer protection, illicit finance, conflicts of interest and market integrity.

Lisa Blunt Rochester was another Democratic opponent. She had already voted against the legislation during its consideration by the Senate Banking Committee in May, arguing that outstanding concerns involving investor protection, market integrity, illicit finance and financial stability had not been adequately resolved.

John Fetterman also voted no despite having supported the GENIUS stablecoin legislation.

Importantly, Democrats were not solely responsible for the bill falling short. Three Republicans (Susan Collins of Maine, Josh Hawley of Missouri and Jerry Moran of Kansas) also voted against advancing CLARITY.

Ripple Backs Stablecoin Startup as Part of $10 Million Funding Round
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
San Francisco-based company Ripple has taken part in a $10 million funding extension for stablecoin-focused payments platform Velocity.

The funding round, which has now been expanded to an impressive $48 million, has allowed the London-based company to reach a valuation of $200 million.

It is worth noting that the company behind the XRP cryptocurrency was already an investor in Velocity before the latest expansion took place.

HOT Stories

The aforementioned round was also backed by such investors as Activant Capital, Capital One Ventures, QED Investors, Coinbase Ventures, and Wintermute Ventures.

Velocity is working on increasing the efficiency of payment settlements by connecting traditional financial infrastructure with stablecoin rails.

With the help of the company's platform, stablecoins can serve as an always-on layer for settlements.

The startup, which was founded in 2025, specifically targets merchants, financial institutions, fintech companies, and payment providers.

Visa push Earlier this month, Velocity and MVB Financial announced that MVB would participate in a Visa Direct pilot.

Velocity's tech makes it possible to plug stablecoin-based liquidity directly into MVB's infrastructure.

Ripple's stablecoin involvement

Ripple became a major player within the stablecoin sector after issuing its own RLUSD stablecoin.

According to data provided by CoinGecko, Ripple's RLUSD currently has a market cap of roughly $2.4 billion, which makes it the 42nd biggest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.

In August 2025, Ripple agreed to acquire stablecoin payments company Rail for $200 million.

Here’s XRP Price to Overtake Bitcoin as Predicted by Ripple ex-CTO
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP needs to reach a strong double-digit price to overtake Bitcoin in market value, based on David Schwartz’s prediction that XRP will grow faster than BTC.

Schwartz, Ripple’s former CTO, recently said he believes XRP will one day surpass Bitcoin. But he doesn’t think this will happen because Bitcoin crashes.

Instead, he believes XRP will grow faster than Bitcoin as the overall crypto market continues to expand. This raises an important question: How high would XRP price need to go to close the current market-cap gap with Bitcoin?

XRP Price Would Need a Huge Market Cap XRP is currently around $1.4, giving it a market value of about $88 billion. Bitcoin is around $77,200, with a market value of $1.55 trillion.

That means Bitcoin’s market cap is about 18 times bigger than XRP’s. For XRP to overtake Bitcoin, its market value needs to grow by trillions of dollars.

For example, if Bitcoin reaches a $3 trillion market cap, XRP needs to move above $3 trillion to become the biggest cryptocurrency. With about 62.74 billion XRP in circulation, a $3.1 trillion market cap puts XRP at around $49.40 per coin.

That means XRP needs to rise about 35 times from its current price of $1.38.

Bitcoin Will Keep Rising Too Meanwhile, the $50 XRP price is not a fixed target for overtaking Bitcoin. It depends on how high Bitcoin’s price rises when XRP attempts to pass it.

For example, if Bitcoin reaches a $3 trillion market cap, its price will be around $150,000 based on its current supply. If Bitcoin rises even higher, XRP needs to reach an even higher market cap to overtake it.

That makes Schwartz’s prediction very ambitious. XRP needs to grow much faster than Bitcoin for a long time, even while Bitcoin continues to rise. Schwartz believes this will happen if the overall crypto market grows rapidly.

Why Schwartz Thinks XRP Will Grow Faster Than Bitcoin Schwartz believes XRP will grow faster than Bitcoin because of what the XRP Ledger can do. He believes the XRP Ledger offers features that Bitcoin does not.

So, Schwartz does not expect people to simply leave Bitcoin and move to XRP. Instead, he sees the crypto market growing much larger, with XRP taking a bigger share of that growth.

In this scenario, Bitcoin remains highly valuable while XRP grows much faster.

XRP Still Has a Long Way to $50 If XRP reaches $50, its market value will be about $3.14 trillion based on the current supply. That puts XRP ahead of Bitcoin if Bitcoin’s market value remains around $3 trillion.

But if Bitcoin keeps rising, XRP needs to reach an even higher market value to overtake it. Schwartz has not given a timeline for XRP to overtake Bitcoin, and he has not said that XRP will reach $50.

The $50 price is only an example of what XRP would be worth if Bitcoin has a $3 trillion market cap. For now, XRP remains far behind Bitcoin in both price and market value.

Ripple Adds Louisville to Its Kansas, Florida College Deals

Ripple added Louisville Athletics to its growing college sports portfolio Tuesday, placing XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) branding on Denny Crum Court for every Louisville home basketball game this season.

What the Louisville Deal IncludesAccording to a Tuesday press release, the multi-year deal puts the XRP logo as a permanent fixture on Denny Crum Court for every home game, with Coach Crum’s iconic insignia staying inside the 3-point arc.

Beyond the court, XRP branding covers TV-visible courtside signage, in-venue promotions, digital and social platforms, and men’s and women’s basketball radio broadcasts.

Ripple will also fund financial and technology education for Louisville student-athletes covering both traditional finance and digital assets.

“Ripple was very intentional about aligning with premier basketball brands, and we’re proud that Louisville was one of the programs they identified,” said Louisville Vice President and Director of Athletics Josh Heird.

How This Fits Ripple’s Broader College PushAs Benzinga reported earlier, Ripple has been building a college sports footprint rapidly. The Louisville deal follows two earlier partnerships:

Kansas — XRP patch on Jayhawks jerseys, the first cryptocurrency logo on a major college athletics uniform, signed after the NCAA approved corporate jersey logos in January Florida — XRP branding on the field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium starting with the 2026 football season, alongside digital properties and event signage All three deals include the same financial and technology education commitment for student-athletes, pointing to a coordinated campus outreach strategy rather than pure brand placement.

The college sports push comes as XRP consolidates near $1.40 ahead of Tuesday’s Clarity Act cloture vote, which markets are watching as the key regulatory catalyst for crypto heading into year-end.

XRP Whale Transactions Pull $165M+ from Exchanges, Highest Since February
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP whale transactions recently pulled out more than $165 million from exchanges, marking the largest intraday figure since late February.

While the XRP price has continued to face selling pressure from the bears after hitting the $1.69 high in late August, on-chain data indicates that whale transactions have become rather dominant on exchanges, skewing more toward withdrawals.

Binance Leads as XRP Whale Outflow Hits 7-Month High of $165M According to data sourced by CryptoQuant, a leading on-chain analytics resource, whale transactions worth 1 million XRP and above moved more than $165 million from top exchanges such as Binance, Bybit, OKX, and Upbit on Sept. 11.

Notably, this represents the highest intraday withdrawal figure linked to these transactions since late February. As expected, most of this volume came from Binance, which witnessed outflows worth 85.4 million XRP or $115 million that day. This accounted for nearly 70% of the total figure recorded across all exchanges.

XRP Exchange Outflow from Binance | Source: CryptoQuant Interestingly, Binance also recorded large outflows from transactions involving smaller amounts. Specifically, the exchange saw transactions worth 100,000 to 1 million XRP pull out 16.38 million XRP valued at $22 million. Meanwhile, transactions involving 10,000 to 100,000 XRP moved 9.6 million XRP from the exchange.

OKX, Bybit and Upbit See Similar XRP Outflows While Binance saw most of the whale outflows, other exchanges, including Bybit, OKX, Bithumb, and Korea’s largest exchange Upbit, also recorded similarly large withdrawals.

Notably, Bybit came in second on the list, with transactions worth 1 million XRP and above pulling out a little above 20 million tokens valued at $27 million from the trading platform. In addition, those worth 100,000 to 1 million XRP withdrew nearly 6 million XRP, while transactions involving 10,000 to 100,000 tokens pulled out 3.5 million XRP.

XRP Exchange Outflow from Bybit | Source: CryptoQuant As for OKX, the exchange saw withdrawals worth 7 million XRP, or $9.45 million, from whale transactions valued at 1 million XRP and above. Meanwhile, transactions worth between 10,000 and 1 million tokens withdrew a combined 5.38 million XRP on Sept. 11.

Upbit saw less dramatic withdrawals than others, but whale transactions involving 1 million XRP and above still pulled out 6.1 million tokens worth $9.15 million from the platform. In addition, a combined 6.78 million XRP flowed out from transactions worth between 1,000 and 1 million tokens. Meanwhile, Bithumb’s whale withdrawals stood at 4 million XRP.

How Could This Impact the XRP Price? Interestingly, XRP’s price saw a sharp intraday upswing to $1.43 amid these withdrawals, before pulling back sharply to close Sept. 11 at $1.35. Despite the sudden correction, XRP closed the day with a 1.64% increase, breaking what would have been a 3-day losing streak.

Such large withdrawals typically support an asset’s price action by reducing selling pressure on the respective exchanges, especially if the traders involved pulled their balances to cold wallets for long-term storage. However, it’s not always this straightforward.

Moreover, on-chain data further indicates that whale inflow transactions also spiked on Sept. 11 across multiple exchanges. Nonetheless, withdrawals, worth more than $165 million in XRP, largely outpaced these deposits.

XRP Liquidity on Binance Hits Six-Month High
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
The XRP ecosystem on Binance is witnessing a major rebound as momentum begins to build on the exchange again amid rising market activity.

Latest onchain data from crypto analytics platform CryptoQuant shows that the XRP liquidity index has recovered in recent weeks, flashing a bullish signal for the asset.

Binance's XRP liquidity turnover reboundsAmid the growing momentum, the data shows that XRP's 30-day liquidity turnover on Binance has surged to about $4.6 billion while its liquidity index on the exchange has reached 0.0675 as of September 15.

HOT Stories

While the XRP liquidity turnover had slumped significantly around July and August, dropping to about $2 billion to $3 billion at the time, the metric has now recovered significantly, soaring to the high levels seen around May.

You Might Also Like

With the latest reading now marking the highest liquidity level recorded on Binance in about six months, the renewed momentum has been accompanied by an increase in XRP flows on the exchange.

What this means for XRPIt is important to note that the surge in XRP liquidity does not necessarily signal a potential price rally for the asset; it could be an indication of increased deposits and withdrawals as well as greater trading activity associated with XRP on Binance.

While the liquidity index does not dictate XRP's price movement, it measures the level of market participation involving the specified asset, reflecting increased participation from both buyers and sellers.

Nonetheless, this could be considered a bullish signal, as higher liquidity allows traders to execute larger orders that will barely impact its price. This, in turn, creates a more favorable environment for market participants.

XRP implied volatility curve shifts 18 points at 3-day tenor, signaling sharp repricing in options market
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
The XRP options market just experienced one of its more dramatic repricing events in recent memory. The implied volatility curve shifted by up to 18 points at the 3-day tenor this week, a move that suggests traders are bracing for meaningful price action in the very near term.

What the numbers actually show Data from Binance’s XRP_USDT options paints a picture of a market in rapid flux. The at-the-money implied volatility hit 60.70% as of September 15, a level that reflects genuine uncertainty about where XRP is headed in the short term.

The 24-hour change in ATM IV clocked in at -12.07 points, while the 4-hour change registered -11.20 points. The 25-delta put-call skew surged by 16.85 points over 24 hours, meaning traders are paying up for puts at a pace that suggests real concern about downside risk, or at minimum, a scramble to hedge existing long positions.

Short-dated options tend to amplify these dynamics. With less time to expiry, gamma exposure becomes more concentrated, and market makers need to delta-hedge more frequently, creating sharper swings compared to longer expirations.

The implied-versus-realized gap tells its own story As of September 11, the 1-month ATM IV for XRP sat at 53%, while the 30-day realized volatility was running at 88%. That’s a -35-point gap, placing the reading in the 7th percentile over a two-year lookback window.

The 18-point surge at the 3-day tenor looks like the market finally catching up to reality. Traders who had been selling volatility cheaply are now scrambling to mark their positions higher, and the short end of the curve is bearing the brunt of that adjustment.

Why institutional flows are driving the action The mechanics behind these shifts trace back to how institutional market makers manage their books. When large positions build up near expiry, dealers need to hedge their gamma exposure, and if that exposure is concentrated on one side, the hedging activity itself can amplify price swings in the underlying asset.

For XRP specifically, platforms like Binance offer robust XRP options products, and the Bitwise XRP ETF, listed on NYSE American under the ticker XRP, has created additional avenues for institutional participation. Short-dated XRP IV shifts are attributed to institutional market-maker flows adjusting for inventory risk, with the result being sharper, faster repricing events driven by the need to stay delta-neutral rather than by obvious news catalysts.

Short-dated XRP options are now pricing in significantly more uncertainty than they were a week ago. Anyone selling premium at the front end of the curve is taking on more risk per contract, while buyers of short-dated protection are paying a steep markup for the privilege.

A local attempt to short XRP on the one-hour timeframe triggered a wave of forced short-position closures. The asset not only held key support but also turned aggressive selling into fuel for a $2 million short squeeze, successfully neutralizing a critical imbalance in the derivatives market.

According to CoinGlass, cumulative liquidations across the crypto market exceeded $386.09 million over the past 24 hours, affecting 78,000 traders. The largest order, worth $11.76 million, was recorded in the ETH/USDT pair on Binance. However, the most abnormal dynamic developed within a single hour in XRP derivatives.

HOT Stories

Heatmap of 1-hour cryptocurrency liquidations showcasing Ethereum, Bitcoin, and XRP, Source: CoinGlassThe volume of short-position liquidations during this narrow time window reached $2.02 million, while just $1.58 million in long positions was closed.

The forced-covering cascade among sellers created an hourly liquidation imbalance of 851%. Trapped by margin requirements, bears were forced to close their positions at market prices, which acted as a catalyst for the price increase.

On the TradingView chart, the price reaction was immediate:

Around $1.38–$1.39, sellers ran into a dense wall of limit buy orders. The buying impulse triggered short sellers' stops and pushed the price to a local peak at $1.44.The Relative Strength Index (RSI) surged into overbought territory. The attempt to push XRP into a low-liquidity zone failed. Due to the absence of real supply, exchange algorithms executed market buy orders at increasingly higher prices.

Why shorting XRP in September was a bad ideaThe derivatives imbalance coincided with a strong news backdrop in mid-September. Bears underestimated external factors: the XRP Ledger network is holding a record 8.57 million unique addresses.

At the same time, according to current SoSoValue data, cumulative net inflows into U.S. spot XRP ETFs stood at $1.71 billion, while the total net assets under management by the funds amounted to $1.588 billion.

15 September 2026 | 19:30 Ripple will promote XRP across Louisville basketball under a multi-year partnership covering court branding, media exposure and financial and technology education beginning this season for both basketball teams.

XRP branding will join Denny Crum Court Louisville Athletics said the partnership will begin this season. The XRP logo will appear on Denny Crum Court during every men’s and women’s basketball home game.

The announcement describes the logo as a permanent court fixture under the agreement. It will not replace the existing tribute to former coach Denny Crum, whose insignia will remain inside the three-point arc.

Elsewhere in the KFC Yum! Center, XRP will appear on television-visible courtside signs and additional in-venue promotions. The agreement also covers Louisville Athletics’ digital and social channels and radio broadcasts for the men’s and women’s basketball teams.

Neither Ripple nor Louisville disclosed the partnership’s financial value or its exact duration beyond describing it as multi-year. The announcement also provides no estimates for expected broadcast reach or digital engagement.

The education commitment still needs detail Ripple will support financial and technology education for Louisville student-athletes and the wider campus community. The planned material will cover traditional finance and digital assets, according to the announcement.

No curriculum, launch date, funding amount or participation target has been released. Until those details are published, readers cannot tell whether the commitment will involve continuing campus programs, individual events or another format.

Louisville extends Ripple’s college-sports strategy Louisville is Ripple’s third U.S. college-sports partnership announced since July. Ripple previously signed multi-year agreements with Kansas Athletics and Florida Athletics. All three include an education commitment but use different placements for XRP branding.

How Ripple’s college partnerships differ

Louisville
Basketball court, in-venue, digital, social and radio exposure, plus financial and technology education.

Kansas
XRP patches across all athletic uniforms, education programs and an expanded technology-career pipeline.

Florida
Football-field and venue branding alongside financial and technology education for the campus community.

Together, the deals show Ripple testing three forms of sports visibility—uniform patches, football-field branding and a basketball-court placement, while attaching an education commitment to each.

Visibility is not evidence of XRP adoption The Louisville partnership gives XRP repeated exposure during home games and across the athletics department’s media channels but it does not establish a new payment use case, increase activity on XRP Ledger by itself or show that students and fans are adopting the token.

The next useful evidence would be an education schedule, participation figures and details about continuing courses or student events. Broadcast and digital engagement data could separately show the reach of the sponsorship.

Louisville completes a three-school pattern The Louisville agreement matters less as a standalone sponsorship than as evidence of a repeatable Ripple strategy: secure a visible position within college sports and pair it with campus education. The branding is already defined; the substance of the education commitment is what remains to be demonstrated.

This article is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial or investment advice. A sponsorship agreement does not guarantee adoption, usage or future demand for XRP.

XRP Price Forecast: Why XRP Slides Even as Ripple Growing?
XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News
Original source text
XRP is trading at $1.39, erasing yesterday’s gains and complicating any XRP price forecast that leans on the August recovery holding. Move that reopens an old question for holders: why does a token keep bleeding while the company behind it just got valued at $50 billion?

Ripple’s employee share buyback in March 2026 pegged the company’s worth above Coinbase’s market cap at the time. XRP hasn’t shared in that success. There’s a mechanical reason for that gap, and it’s not going away soon.

Ripple’s payments network processes cross-border transfers in three to five seconds for a fraction of a cent, but banks don’t need XRP to use it. Ripple confirmed over 300 network customers back in 2019. Only a handful, including SBI Remit and Travelex Bank, are known to actually route liquidity through the token itself.

Meanwhile, the XRP Ledger’s decentralized finance total value locked sits under $50 million, according to DefiLlama, trailing roughly 40 other chains and dwarfed by Ethereum’s roughly $50 billion. Traders this week are more focused on the Senate’s procedural vote on the CLARITY Act than on any of that ecosystem data.

Utility on paper doesn’t always translate into demand on-chain.

Can XRP Price Hold $1.35 Support This Week? Based on this XRP price forecast, XRP is trading around $1.40, down just over 1% on the day, and the picture is one of a market trying to find its feet after a long decline. From last summer’s peak near $3.65, price bled steadily lower through 2026, bottoming close to $1.00 in August. A strong rebound followed, briefly touching $1.72 before settling into the current range.

The 200-day moving average, now flattening near $1.27, has turned from resistance into a floor worth watching. Above, the $1.54 level caps the recovery. A clean break there would strengthen the case for a genuine trend change rather than a relief bounce.

Support sits at $1.31–$1.35, with a deeper floor at $1.26 and $1.22 if that breaks. Resistance clusters at $1.43–$1.45, then $1.47–$1.50.

LiquidChain Presale Draws Attention as XRP’s Ceiling Holds

Yesterday’s 4.30% drop on a token backed by a $50 billion company says something about where XRP sits in its cycle. Most of the good news (the valuation, the network deals, the regulatory thaw) is already in the price. Even a clean CLARITY vote lands on a market cap that has priced it in.

That math is what sends some traders earlier in the cycle to projects where price discovery hasn’t happened yet.

LiquidChain ($LIQUID) is one of them. It’s a Layer 3 project pitching itself as a cross-chain liquidity layer: instead of deploying separately on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana and fragmenting liquidity across all three, developers deploy once and draw on a single pooled execution environment. The architecture rests on three architectures:

Unified Liquidity Layer; Single-Step Execution; Verifiable Settlement. The presale has raised over $1 million at $0.014955 per token.

Early-stage infrastructure plays carry obvious risk. Those comfortable with that risk profile can research LiquidChain directly.

XRP Could Crater If the CLARITY Act Vote Fails—Here's Why

XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) faces a critical test as Tuesday’s CLARITY Act procedural vote threatens to unwind bullish positioning built ahead of the closely watched crypto legislation.

Bitrue Research Institute told Benzinga in an email that Binance liquidation data shows leveraged positioning is skewed to the downside, leaving XRP vulnerable if the Senate vote fails or is delayed.

CLARITY Act Vote Raises StakesBitrue pointed to elevated political uncertainty around the CLARITY Act: Democrats have pushed back against the latest legislation over ethics provisions and are preparing a counterproposal raising failure probabilities.

That matters for XRP because traders have treated U.S. crypto market-structure legislation as a major regulatory catalyst.

Trending

A failed vote could remove that near-term tailwind just as leveraged longs sit near a key liquidation zone.

Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) weakness and the Fed decision could add pressure on XRP, with BTC support near $76,000 a key level to watch.

Why $1.38 Matters For XRPThe three-day Binance liquidation heatmap shows a dense cluster of long liquidations around $1.38-$1.39, according to Bitrue.

This could be the immediate downside magnet if the CLARITY Act vote disappoints traders.

Comparatively, a more dispersed short-liquidation liquidity lies between $1.45 and $1.50. A push through will be required to turn a positive vote into a more sustained breakout.

A break below that range could trigger additional liquidations and expose $1.30-$1.32.

Holding the level could keep XRP consolidating ahead of the Fed decision.

Bitrue said even a successful procedural vote could produce only a temporary spike if XRP fails to clear $1.50 with strong volume.
