Clearpool, a decentralized marketplace focused on on-chain institutional credit, has outlined plans to extend its lending stack to the XRP Ledger. The firm positions the move as its next growth chapter, arguing that XRPL is a mature network whose institutional credit market remains comparatively undeveloped.
Rather than simply porting existing products, Clearpool intends to build lending infrastructure that sits on the ledger’s own proposed primitives.
Those primitives are Single Asset Vaults (XLS-65) and the Lending Protocol (XLS-66).
Vaults would pool a single asset under defined management rules.
The lending standard would then use that pooled liquidity to originate, service, and repay fixed-term loans at the protocol level, with issuance, interest, repayment, and accounting handled as ledger operations rather than as conventional smart-contract logic.
Loans on the new stack are expected to be denominated in RLUSD, Ripple’s regulated dollar stablecoin, with institutional custody support from Hex Trust.
The XRPL effort builds on an earlier collaboration. Clearpool supplies the marketplace and vault infrastructure.
Ripple participates as a limited partner in the credit fund on the same terms as other investors, rather than as a backstop.
Clearpool says it has originated close to $1 billion in institutional loans since 2021, while Cicada cites more than $860 million in underwritten credit.
Together they present the XRPL deployment as a way to bring real-world, compliance-aware lending to a network that already embeds identity and permissioning features.
To fund incentives and expansion, Clearpool has put a governance proposal before tokenholders.
The plan pairs a treasury recapitalization with a 1:1 migration from CPOOL to a new token, CLEAR.
About 70 percent of the new supply would go to existing holders.
The remainder would be split among treasury, ecosystem, and contributors, lifting total supply modestly above the current one billion CPOOL.
Protocol fees would later support open-market buybacks and burns.
The vote is slated for Snapshot, and the company has framed the token change as inseparable from the XRPL product push rather than a standalone rebrand.
Mainnet launch still depends on XRPL validators approving the XLS-65 and XLS-66 amendments.
Related credit fund activity has already been tested on a development network.
Clearpool currently operates across several chains, including Ethereum, Optimism, Base, Arbitrum, Mantle, and Plume, and markets products ranging from T-bill-backed treasury pools to permissioned institutional credit and revolving facilities for real-world commerce.
The XRPL work is presented as an extension of that multi-chain liquidity layer into a network where settlement, compliance, and lending can sit closer to the base protocol.
If the standards activate and the community approves the token plan, Clearpool would become one of the first teams to run institutional-grade credit rails natively on XRPL.
The pitch is straightforward: pair an established credit marketplace with ledger-level vaults and loans, settle in RLUSD, and open a channel for fintech and payments firms that need short-term working capital on a network built for institutional settlement.
Seven Senate Democrats have committed to working across party lines to advance the CLARITY Act, just hours after their unified opposition resulted in the bill’s defeat. The group, which includes Senators Kirsten Gillibrand, Mark Warner, Ruben Gallego, Angela Alsobrooks, Cory Booker, Catherine Cortez Masto, and Raphael Warnock, publicly pledged to continue seeking bipartisan solutions for crypto regulation.
Senators reaffirm commitment after voteThe CLARITY Act failed on September 15, receiving 49 yes votes and 50 no votes in the Senate, falling short of the 60 votes needed to move forward. All Democratic senators voted against the legislation.
Despite the outcome, the seven Democrats emphasized their willingness to pursue further negotiations and improve the bill, stating that the setback would not halt efforts to enact comprehensive crypto regulations. Their joint statement reflected two years of bipartisan work and aimed to address issues such as consumer protection, market opportunity, deterrence of bad actors, and ethics provisions for elected officials.
They described the failed vote as “a setback, but not the end of that important work,” highlighting their ongoing commitment to passing legislation that would expand opportunity, safeguard consumers, create regulatory clarity, and set higher ethical standards for lawmakers.
Three sources familiar with Senate deliberations indicated that Democrats and Republicans have begun gauging the likelihood of resuming substantive talks before the year’s end. This follows frustration from some observers, since the seven Democrats publicly committed to a bipartisan path after voting against the bill.
Intense negotiations and partisan disagreementsPrior to the vote, Republican lawmakers made 126 substantial amendments to the bill at the request of Democrats. The final version, totaling 635 pages, included ethics provisions supported by Donald Trump. However, Democrats chose not to accept this version, submitting their own counter-offer just hours before the vote, which was rejected by Republicans.
Senator Cynthia Lummis responded sharply, claiming that Democrats undermined bipartisan negotiations by offering their counter-proposal at the last minute. She argued that this allowed foreign competitors to gain an advantage and cited provisions to limit politicians’ personal crypto investments, strengthen consumer protections, and promote American leadership in digital assets—all issues Democrats voted against.
Senator Lummis accused Democratic colleagues of engaging in partisan tactics during negotiations, criticizing their timing and decision not to support the revised legislation, which she said included key safeguards.
Industry shifts and future challengesThe bill’s defeat provoked strong reactions within the crypto community, with some users threatening to vote out the Democrats in future elections. Critics argued that the Democratic senators could have approved the bill in its previous iteration if they had been committed to reform.
Senator Lummis cautioned that without progress in the current Congress, market structure legislation could be delayed until at least 2030. The prospect of Democrats winning a House majority in November raises additional obstacles to passing comprehensive crypto reform in the next session.
In the midst of these evolving legislative efforts, new technical developments continue to shape the digital asset landscape. While traditional finance has typically relied on complex brokerage systems, a major transformation is underway as Wall Street moves toward Web3. Investors increasingly use platforms such as 1stepSwap to hold tokenized shares of major U.S. companies, along with gold and silver, directly in their crypto wallets. By automating the search for the best market prices and removing middlemen, tokenized Real-World Assets (RWAs) are streamlining the investment process.
The seven Senate Democrats have now articulated their stance, and sources say early bipartisan discussions may resume soon. For now, the future of federal crypto legislation remains uncertain.
On the afternoon of Sept. 15, 2026, more than 1,500 crypto holders lost their XRP in a major attack that targeted the D’CENT app wallet.
Notably, between 16:29 and 18:34 UTC, a period of just two hours and five minutes, attackers drained 1,552 wallets and took a total of 2,009,321 XRP, worth over $2.8 million at the time.
All the affected users had at some point used D’CENT, a Korean wallet app and hardware-device maker with a large user base across Asia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
Hours after the event, D’CENT warned users to move their funds immediately. The company said the incident appeared to affect only its software-based App Wallet and not its hardware devices.
Important Update Regarding the DCENT App Wallet
To date, abnormal asset transfer cases have been identified involving the DCENT App Wallet. So far, we have not confirmed any impact originating from DCENT Hardware Wallets themselves.

How the Attackers Drained 2M XRP Records reviewed by blockchain analytics resource XRPL.to show that the attack came in two waves and involved automated software.
The first wave started at 16:29 UTC with a small transfer. Specifically, the attacker moved 9 XRP from a wallet holding 10 XRP into a newly created address. Over the next 14 minutes, the script went through its target list and drained 204 wallets, collecting 19,787 XRP.
However, the script ran into a problem. About 30 seconds into the attack, it tried to empty a wallet holding slightly more than 49,207 XRP but failed.
This is because, besides the 1 XRP reserve required for each account on the XRP Ledger to maintain as a balance, they also need another 0.2 XRP for each additional object they hold, such as a trust line.
The script only allowed for the basic 1 XRP reserve. As a result, it could not drain wallets that held trust lines. When the first wave stopped at 16:44, the script had recorded 72 failed attempts.
The attacker then changed tactics. Notably, the automated script paused for 33 minutes, while another tool manually drained the 12 largest wallets on the target list. Each held more than 42,000 XRP.
The operator moved the funds one wallet at a time, with transfers coming roughly every 10 to 30 seconds, into a second newly created address. By 17:13, that address held 730,954 XRP, more than one-third of the total stolen amount. It has not moved any XRP since then.
At 17:17, the automated attack started again after the attacker fixed the reserve calculation. The updated script accounted for the extra reserve required for every object held by an account.
This second and much larger wave continued until 18:34. It drained another 1,336 wallets and collected 1,258,563 XRP. The script moved through the wallets at about 17.6 accounts per minute and calculated the required amount correctly in most cases.
The List Was Already in Hand The order of the targeted wallets shows how the attack was prepared. Interestingly, the attackers did not just look for wallets with the largest XRP balances. Instead, the script moved through the accounts almost in the same order in which they had originally been created.
XRPL.to analysts found a 0.65 correlation between the order of the attacks and wallet creation dates. The correlation between the attack order and wallet balances was only 0.09.
This suggests that the attackers did not scan the XRP Ledger in real time to find wealthy accounts. They appear to have already had a list of compromised wallets and then worked through that list.
This also suggests that the attackers had access to the private keys before the first transaction took place. The XRP Ledger records show exactly when the funds moved and where they went, but they do not show how the attackers obtained the private keys for the 1,552 wallets.
Looking to Cash Out the XRP The attackers also started moving the stolen XRP toward exchanges before they finished draining the wallets. At 18:25 UTC, while the second wave was still underway, more than 719,000 XRP moved to a new address. The operators then split the funds into smaller amounts.
This included 11 transfers of 6,000 XRP each to disposable wallets. These wallets then immediately deleted themselves into a laundering hub. The same process continued for about four hours. The first stolen funds reached Binance at 20:18 UTC.
In the early hours of Sept. 16, about 118,400 XRP moved through the Bridgers cross-chain bridge service in 10 separate transactions between 01:48 and 03:07 UTC. By around 05:30 UTC, several cash-out wallets had deleted themselves into a second laundering hub.
Notably, the laundering hub was also not new. It had been created on Aug. 9 through a KuCoin withdrawal and had already processed more than 1.36 million XRP through similar drains. This suggests that the Sept. 15 attack was the operation’s biggest day, not its first.
Who Got Hit, and What’s Still Unknown The affected wallets largely belonged to users who had been in crypto for several years. Most of the wallets had been created between 2021 and 2023. The youngest wallet on the target list dated to March 2024, and investigators found no newer wallets among the victims.
The wallets also showed links to several exchanges. Binance had originally funded about 15.7% of the affected wallets. South Korean exchanges Coinone, UPbit, and Bithumb collectively activated close to one-quarter of the compromised accounts. This is consistent with D’CENT’s large user base in South Korea.
By Sept. 16, about 1.8 million of the 2 million stolen XRP remained in wallets controlled by the attackers. Only around 236,000 XRP had reached an exchange or bridge. At press time, it remains unclear how the attackers first obtained the private keys.

As the CLARITY Act was rejected with 49 votes in favor and 50 votes against, the bill was not advanced. With substantial outflows from spot ETFs, XRP is facing selling pressure and its price continues to decline.
Investors have reduced their investment in higher-risk assets, causing an overall decline. Against the backdrop of a sluggish cryptocurrency market, more and more XRP investors are beginning to explore cloud mining to earn passive income of up to $10,000 per day.
As U.S. Treasury yields rise, investors have reduced their investment in higher-risk assets, leading to an overall decline. The yield on 10-year U.S. Treasury bonds once exceeded 5%, significantly “increasing the opportunity cost of holding non-yielding assets, including most of the cryptocurrency market.”
At the same time, oil prices exceeding $100 per barrel, geopolitical tensions, and expectations of tighter monetary policy have all intensified pressure on risk assets. “Market volatility may remain elevated,” Masabuni pointed out, as the market faces multiple challenges from monetary policy, regulation, and geopolitical risks.
Ryan Kirkley, Co-Founder and CEO of the Global Settlement Network, also pointed out that the Senate’s failure to advance the CLARITY Act immediately put pressure on the cryptocurrency market, with crypto-related stocks such as Coinbase (Nasdaq: $COIN) and Circle (NYSE: $CRCL) facing pressure.
“The reaction from investors precisely demonstrates how much they value regulatory certainty,” Kirkley told Crypto.news, adding that institutional capital needs to know “who regulates what, how assets are classified, what intermediaries can do, and the scope of responsibilities of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). When the answers to these questions remain unresolved, capital must price this uncertainty into the market.”

XRP has broken below a major Fibonacci retracement level, according to prominent cryptocurrency analyst CasiTrades, prompting renewed caution among traders watching the coin’s near-term prospects.
XRP loses 0.5 Fibonacci retracement, invalidates previous structureCasiTrades, an analyst known for her technical chart analysis shared on X, observed that XRP dropped beneath the 0.5 Fibonacci retracement, a level she had been monitoring as a pivotal support. This development has invalidated her previous expectation of a final wave movement toward $1.78.
On her latest TradingView chart, XRP was trading around $1.26 on the 1-hour timeframe, below the 0.5 retracement marked at $1.34. The breakdown of this support has shifted the analytical focus to even lower Fibonacci levels.
CasiTrades noted that XRP’s previous upward structure depended on maintaining the 0.5 retracement, and without recovery above this mark, the outlook for a strong bullish move is no longer valid.
She emphasized that the larger price structure would remain tilted to the downside unless XRP can climb above the macro 0.618 Fibonacci level, positioned near $1.65, and establish it as support.
$1.10 emerges as a key level for XRPAttention has now turned to the area around $1.10, where the 0.786 Fibonacci retracement lies. CasiTrades identified this range, including approximately $1.09 to $1.14, as critical for the next phase of XRP’s price action. She argued that the $1.10 zone has multiple points of technical significance and coincides with a potential C-wave target, increasing its importance in the current setup.
The analyst views a bounce or breakdown from $1.10 as meaningful for determining whether XRP is entering a sustained trend change or sliding further.
Downside risk extends toward $0.87Beyond $1.10, CasiTrades highlighted $0.87 as another significant potential support, aligning with the macro 0.854 Fibonacci retracement. The chart attached to her analysis shows this lower area between $0.86 and $0.87 as untested in recent cycles, suggesting the risk of further declines if buying interest fails to materialize.
CasiTrades advised followers to be prepared for either outcome, given the prevailing volatility and decisiveness of these levels for future moves in XRP.
Several market participants responded to her analysis with varied perspectives. SecureWeb.AI pointed to declines across the broader crypto market and expressed interest in accumulating XRP around $0.87 if the price reaches that mark.
Meanwhile, Colin Chatfield attributed the weakness in XRP to the failure of the CLARITY Act, a recent legislative proposal intended to provide regulatory certainty for digital assets, while Justin Corzine echoed the view that the bill’s rejection had a material impact on market sentiment.
Mini dictionary: CLARITY Act, a proposed United States bill designed to provide clearer regulatory guidance for cryptocurrencies and digital asset markets. Its failure may increase uncertainty for projects operating in the sector.
At press time, XRP continued to trade below several of these technical markers. The analysis remains centered on whether bulls can re-establish control or if further declines will take hold as major support levels are tested.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse says the Senate’s failed vote on the Clarity Act does not affect XRP or Ripple’s operations, pointing to the legal clarity the company already won in its court case with the SEC.
What Garlinghouse Said
Speaking at the HDAX event alongside Esther George, Garlinghouse reiterated that the Clarity Act’s outcome has no bearing on XRP or Ripple’s business. According to Jake Claver, who attended the discussion, Garlinghouse based this on the legal precedent set in Ripple’s court case with the SEC three years ago. “XRP has clarity,” Claver said, summarizing Garlinghouse’s comments.
Garlinghouse also said that while he supports the Clarity Act, its outcome won’t stop crypto’s progress long-term. “When you have a technology that’s better, faster, stronger, that usually wins,” he said, arguing existing financial infrastructure simply hasn’t kept pace. He also said it’s “ridiculous” how many other G20 countries already have crypto regulatory frameworks in place, questioning why the US would want to cede the technology to other nations.
Vote That Failed
The Senate failed to advance the Clarity Act on September 15, falling short of the 60 votes needed on a cloture motion by a 49-50 margin. Garlinghouse had pushed hard for the bill beforehand, writing on social media that it represented “real, substantive trades policymakers made” and urging senators not to treat it as something to settle for. “Now is the time to vote yes,” he wrote.
Not Necessarily the End
Despite the setback, seven Democratic senators, including Kirsten Gillibrand, who voted against advancing the bill, said in a joint statement they remain committed to passing crypto legislation and that this vote was not the end of their work.
Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire pointed to a similar precedent with the Genius Act, which also failed an initial cloture vote before passing weeks later. “We don’t really know what’s gonna happen here,” Allaire said.
What’s Still Unresolved
With the Clarity Act stalled, questions the bill was meant to settle in law, including which tokens count as securities, which count as commodities, and how exchanges must protect customer assets, remain governed by regulatory agency interpretation rather than statute, leaving them open to being changed by a future administration.

Ripple’s developer arm RippleX released version 1.1 of the XRP Ledger AI Starter Kit on 15 September, adding support for two open standards that let artificial intelligence agents hold and spend XRP without custom key handling. The update makes the XRP Ledger a settlement rail for the Machine Payment Protocol, an HTTP-native payments standard co-authored by Tempo and Stripe, and brings the chain into the Open Wallet Standard, according to RippleX’s announcement.
Two open standards for agent payments The Machine Payment Protocol, or MPP, lets a service return an HTTP 402 status with a price, the agent authorizes the payment, and the resource is delivered without an account or a checkout flow. The Open Wallet Standard is a local-first, multi-chain wallet specification that keeps an agent’s keys in a single encrypted vault at ~/.ows/, decrypted only long enough to sign. With XRP Ledger support, a single ows wallet create command now derives an XRPL address alongside every other supported chain, so agent frameworks do not have to write chain-specific key management code for XRP.
XRP as a settlement rail The XRP Ledger is now a supported settlement rail for MPP, live in two payment modes covering XRP charges and payment channels. Developers also get a new xrpl-mpp-sdk npm package, currently in beta, that handles the full 402 challenge-response flow, credential signing, and session management for both modes. Stablecoin support for session payments is next: the ledger is adding IOU and MPT support to payment channels under the XLS-93d proposal, so RLUSD-denominated single payments and streaming sessions will follow the same lock-stream-settle mechanics as XRP does today.
RippleX framed the release as the XRP Ledger showing up inside standards that others are driving, rather than asking developers to adopt something XRPL-specific. Open Wallet Standard contributors span PayPal, Circle, and the Solana Foundation, while MPP is a rail-agnostic standard co-authored by Tempo and Stripe. The ledger has processed 5.6 million X402 transactions since the starter kit launched in June, and the update extends Ripple’s broader push into governed AI agents for enterprise finance. It also continues RippleX’s work shipping XRP Ledger upgrades aimed at a new class of machine-to-machine participants.

XRP trades near $1.29 after a sharp correction pushed its two-week Relative Strength Index to the lowest level in the token’s 13-year trading history.
That extreme reading has sparked fresh debate over whether XRP has finally found its cycle bottom.
XRP Price Performance. Source: BeInCryptoWhat This Record-Low RSI Reading Actually MeansAnalyst Cryptollica highlighted the milestone in a widely shared post, noting the current two-week RSI near 33.5 has now dropped below the lows seen during the 2018 bear market, the 2020 COVID crash, and the 2022 crypto winter.
The accompanying chart shows XRP still sitting inside a long-term rising channel that has guided the asset through multiple cycles. Price currently rests near that structure’s lower boundary, an area that has historically provided strong support.

XRP Just Printed a Record-Breaking Oversold Signal. Source: X/@CryptollicaThe analyst argued the market may be misreading the moment entirely. Sentiment has collapsed, and short-term price action looks broken, yet the higher-timeframe trendline has not failed. The analyst wrote that almost nobody wants XRP when its chart looks this damaged, even though such extremes have often preceded major rallies.
EGRAG Crypto added supporting evidence, noting that XRP’s two-month RSI has re-entered a historical zone associated with prior bottoming processes, arguing that cycle behavior matters more than the exact number.

— EGRAG CRYPTO (@egragcrypto) September 17, 2026 Is Every Analyst Convinced XRP Has Bottomed? Not everyone agrees a bottom is confirmed. Technical analyst ChartNerd noted XRP remains compressed between the 20-week EMA near $1.29 and the 50-week EMA resistance around $1.52.
A sustained weekly close below $1.29, ChartNerd warned, could open a path toward the $1.00 psychological level. Lower highs and lower lows still appear on intermediate timeframes, suggesting continued consolidation rather than a confirmed reversal.
“Similar to failed closes above the 50 week EMA since the rise to $1.70, If $XRP witnesses daily/weekly closes below $1.29, the next support is back at $1.00. That’s how important the 20 week EMA retest that we just printed is. It has to hold or we dive,” ChartNerd said on X.
CrediBULL Crypto offered a more constructive view, pointing to a related bottom-zone setup in which relative strength has already begun to improve from recent lows.
XRP now sits at a genuine technical inflection point. The record-low RSI, an intact multi-year structure, and heavy negative sentiment together create one of the more debated risk-reward setups in the current market.

Whether this reading marks a true cycle low or just another stage in a longer bottoming process depends on price action ahead. Holding the long-term structure would strengthen the bottom case, while a decisive break below $1.29 would shift focus to deeper support.
A set of XRP Ledger account distribution screenshots, shared by X user @uptownsaul, has sparked widespread discussion in the XRP community. The data compares top account percentiles from January 30, 2024, to September 3, 2026, revealing notable shifts in both wallet distribution and required balances to rank among the network’s wealthiest holders.
Wallet growth and changing thresholdsIn January 2024, the XRP Ledger recorded approximately 5.04 million accounts. By September 2026, this number had grown to around 8.11 million, an increase of over 60%. Despite this expansion, the amount of XRP needed to be considered among the top holders has declined across all major percentiles.
For instance, the top 0.01% percentile included 504 accounts in early 2024, each holding at least 5.9 million XRP. In 2026, the same percentile covered 812 accounts, but the minimum holding had fallen to 3.63 million XRP. Similarly, thresholds for the top 0.1% and 1% dropped from 427,751 XRP and 64,077 XRP in 2024 to 276,694 XRP and 44,509 XRP, respectively, in 2026.
The top 10% threshold, which was just over 3,333 XRP in January 2024, declined to approximately 2,120 XRP by September 2026. This shift means that an account holding 50,000 XRP, which previously did not qualify for the top 1%, now easily sits within that percentile.
Rank2024 Accounts2024 XRP Min.2026 Accounts2026 XRP Min.Top 0.01%5045.9 million8123.63 millionTop 0.1%5,037427,7518,113276,694Top 1%50,37064,07781,12744,509Top 10%503,7043,333811,2642,120Factors behind the shiftThe rise in wallet numbers and the falling thresholds reflect more than just increased retail participation. Institutional players, exchanges, and custody services have also contributed by opening operational addresses. In addition, some users split their holdings across several wallets, and a portion of new addresses may remain inactive.
The XRP Ledger itself does not differentiate between a hobbyist’s account with 2,120 XRP and a large custodial address. Each wallet, regardless of its owner or purpose, is counted equally in these statistics.
As a result, while the top percentile groups have become more accessible by absolute XRP amount, this does not necessarily indicate wealth redistribution from whales to smaller holders. Instead, the expanding number of accounts has diluted the coin thresholds needed to rank among the highest categories.
Mini dictionary: XRP Ledger – A decentralized public blockchain developed by Ripple for fast, low-cost digital asset transfers and issuance, supporting the XRP cryptocurrency.
Implications for XRP holdersThese percentile changes highlight a growing and increasingly diverse user base for XRP. However, experts caution against interpreting this data as directly signaling shifts in network decentralization or imminent price action.
A lower threshold may suggest broader ownership, but it can also result from new custodians and operational wallets rather than organic retail growth. The underlying ledger data cannot distinguish between these different types of accounts or usage patterns.
In 2026, an account holding 50,000 XRP easily ranks in the top 1% of holders, while it fell short of this mark in 2024. This shift reflects a rapidly growing network and changing wallet demographics, rather than a redistribution of existing XRP wealth.
The widening of top percentile groups and the reduced entry requirement could signal more distribution among users, but do not automatically indicate the network has become more decentralized or that major holders have reduced their positions.
As the club of top holders continues to grow, the significance of joining it by XRP balance alone becomes less clear. What remains to be seen is how these new accounts will participate in and shape the future of the XRP ecosystem.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) have announced plans to establish cryptocurrency regulations independently of Congress. This move highlights the agencies’ commitment to a proactive regulatory framework for digital assets, particularly XRP and Bitcoin. In March 2026, both XRP and Bitcoin were classified as digital commodities, placing their regulatory oversight mainly under the CFTC. This classification suggests a commodity-style regulatory approach, although the SEC maintains authority over transactions involving investment contracts. The markets appear to be responding to this regulatory development with varied expectations for Bitcoin’s future price movements.
Key Takeaways The announcement by the SEC and CFTC suggests a proactive regulatory approach towards cryptocurrency. Markets are interpreting this development as potentially supportive of Bitcoin’s price, with some pricing reflecting increased confidence. Current market pricing implies skepticism about Bitcoin reaching higher price targets by the end of 2026, with low percentages for reaching $200,000. What to Watch Market participants will be closely observing any further regulatory announcements or guidelines from the SEC and CFTC, which could influence confidence in cryptocurrency markets. Additionally, developments such as potential legislative actions by Congress and Federal Reserve decisions on interest rates could impact Bitcoin price expectations. Observers should also watch for any significant institutional adoption or technological advancements that could affect market sentiment.

SEC Chair Paul Atkins delivered on his earlier commitment to advance crypto regulation independently of legislative action, as the Securities and Exchange Commission announced the Innovation Exemption. This move opens a regulated route for on-chain trading involving tokenized National Market System (NMS) equities.
The SEC’s new approach to tokenized securitiesThe SEC has issued an order that temporarily and conditionally exempts Tokenized Securities Venues (TSVs) from the traditional “exchange” definition under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. This exemption enables TSVs to support trading of tokenized NMS stocks via permissioned automated market makers and AMM Liquidity Pools, without adhering to all standard exchange requirements.
According to Atkins, this regulatory step is meant to bring the US capital markets up to date with digital innovation. He described the development as a “significant step forward, within its statutory authority, to bring America’s capital markets into the digital age.”
Today, the SEC takes a significant step to advance on-chain trading of certain tokenized stocks through the Innovation Exemption, with the aim of modernizing US capital markets.
The order follows the Senate’s recent failure to pass the CLARITY Act, leaving a notable gap in statutory crypto regulation. As a result, the SEC acted on its own authority to provide a framework for digital asset markets.
The Innovation Exemption explainedTSVs can now set their own access standards, determining who can participate in tokenized equity trading pools. The SEC’s order also provides a conditional dealer exemption for liquidity providers using their own capital to supply tokenized NMS stock within a TSV. These measures are seen as crucial to fostering a compliant environment for blockchain-based assets.
Mini dictionary: Tokenized Securities Venues (TSVs) are specialized trading platforms that enable the buying and selling of digital representations of traditional securities, such as stocks, directly on blockchain networks. Their operations are subject to regulatory exemptions or conditions that differ from standard securities exchanges.
By requiring smart contracts for trades to be deployed on public, permissionless distributed ledgers, the SEC has embedded blockchain transparency as a core regulatory principle. This move aligns with current crypto network infrastructures and represents a marked shift from the agency’s past focus on enforcement actions toward proactive rulemaking.
Potential impact on XRP and the crypto ecosystemThe regulatory change comes as a notable development for XRP, a digital asset that Ripple, a US fintech company specializing in global payment protocols, has highlighted as a bridge for settlement and liquidity in institutional transactions. The Innovation Exemption helps legitimize on-chain markets as recognized platforms for trading securities, potentially expanding the scope for digital assets such as XRP in regulated financial activities.
By formalizing the use of public blockchain technology in securities markets, the SEC’s approach introduces new opportunities and regulatory clarity for institutional crypto use cases. The latest order may set a precedent for further integration of tokenized assets in traditional financial systems.
The SEC’s shift to building regulatory frameworks marks a key change, laying essential groundwork for a compliant on-chain financial ecosystem.
The road ahead for digital asset regulationWhile the Senate’s rejection of the CLARITY Act delayed a clear legislative path for digital asset oversight, Atkins emphasized the SEC is prepared to act using its current authority. He continues to urge Congress to pursue statutory clarity but insists regulatory progress will proceed regardless.
Other US regulators such as the Commodity Futures Trading Commission have also signaled a willingness to implement reforms and guidance for the crypto sector. In the coming weeks, further developments in digital asset policy and enforcement are expected.
Crypto Sensei has suggested that XRP could serve as a neutral bridge asset if global governments transition toward a digital world reserve currency. The commentary links XRP’s potential role to ongoing de-dollarization efforts, central bank digital currency (CBDC) experiments, and the rising demand for interoperable global payment networks.
XRP’s Proposed Role in Global PaymentsThe argument centers on the idea that XRP, developed by Ripple, could act as a mechanism to settle value between competing monetary systems, rather than any single national currency. Crypto Sensei references BRICS initiatives designed to decrease the group’s reliance on the US dollar in cross-border trade, including conversations about establishing a reserve unit backed by a basket of member currencies, gold, or other commodities.
The video claims that over the last 100 years, the US dollar has lost 95% of its purchasing power and more than 40% since 2000, according to a chart from the Kobeissi Newsletter. This is used to frame current efforts by governments and investors to identify alternatives to dollar-centric financial settlements.
Within this context, Crypto Sensei emphasizes that there is no indication BRICS has chosen XRP. Instead, XRP is presented as a technically feasible solution due to its speed, low transaction costs, and function as a bridge asset between diverse currencies. The argument suggests that various countries may resist settling trade through the currency of a competing power, potentially highlighting the value of neutral digital assets.
Blockchain Infrastructure and Ripple’s Global PresenceCrypto Sensei points out that blockchain infrastructure could play an important role in the future of global settlements, specifically noting Ripple’s existing partnerships and activities in countries such as Brazil.
Mini dictionary: BRICS is an economic bloc comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, focusing on financial and trade cooperation to enhance the global influence of emerging economies.
The video also references discussions by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) about central bank digital currencies, tokenized assets, and a potential digital adaptation of Special Drawing Rights (SDRs). According to Crypto Sensei, an “electronic SDR” (eSDR) backed by major currencies could demand blockchain-based issuance, transparent recordkeeping, and interoperability across different financial systems.
XRP’s creators selected a supply of 100 billion units with the intention that it could “effectively function as a global reserve currency,” according to Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, as highlighted in a resurfaced video clip. This early design vision is presented as a signal that XRP was built for global liquidity, not merely retail market speculation.
XRP in Comparison with Other Blockchain NetworksCrypto Sensei draws a distinction between XRP and networks such as Chainlink, noting that while oracle services can be relied upon for critical blockchain information, they are not assets designed for settlement or bridging currencies. Stellar, Hedera, and a range of other networks are cited as components of a possible multi-chain future, rather than direct rivals that must supplant each other.
Mini dictionary: Chainlink is a decentralized oracle network designed to supply external data to smart contracts on various blockchains, enabling reliable connectivity between blockchain-based systems and real-world information.

However, these points are not directly tied to the argument for XRP’s potential international role.
DailyCoin is a digital media platform specializing in coverage of global cryptocurrency news, analysis, and market trends.
The commentary speculates that the ongoing evolution of global finance could see neutral digital assets like XRP playing a central role in cross-border settlements and future world reserve currencies.
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has argued that ADA and XRP should be treated as genuine commodities under U.S. crypto regulation.
Hoskinson made the remarks while explaining why the CLARITY Act failed to advance in the U.S. Senate. He focused on what he sees as a fundamental problem with the legislation’s proposed approach to classifying and regulating digital assets.
Hoskinson Questions Broad Commodity Classification According to him, one of the fundamental problems was the attempt to treat a wide range of digital assets as commodities and place the CFTC at the center of crypto regulation.
He argued that securities and commodities have fundamentally different characteristics and therefore require different regulatory approaches. In his view, the SEC has a larger workforce and broader tools for disclosure and market oversight, while the CFTC traditionally operates as a principles-based commodities regulator.
However, Hoskinson’s criticism does not appear to be directed at the use of commodity regulation for crypto assets generally. Instead, he argued that lawmakers should first establish which digital assets genuinely qualify as commodities and which belong in a separate digital-security category.
Hoskinson Says Cardano and XRP Are Truly Commodities He specifically identified Bitcoin, Cardano, and XRP as examples of crypto assets that he considers “truly commodities.”
Hoskinson’s comments also coincide with a significant regulatory development in the United States. Earlier this year, the SEC and CFTC jointly issued an interpretation outlining how different crypto assets could be classified, including as digital commodities, digital securities, or stablecoins. Interestingly, Cardano and XRP were both included in the digital commodities category.
XRP’s Legal Status Adds to Its Distinction XRP also has a separate legal history that informs its regulatory classification. In July 2023, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York distinguished between XRP itself and the manner in which Ripple sold the token.
The court did not find XRP itself to be inherently a security. However, it determined that certain institutional sales of XRP constituted securities transactions, while Ripple’s programmatic sales on secondary markets did not constitute unregistered securities sales under the circumstances before the court.
The distinction separates the underlying crypto asset from particular transactions involving that asset.
Cardano’s Regulatory History Has Also Changed Cardano, meanwhile, previously appeared among the crypto assets identified by the SEC in enforcement actions against major cryptocurrency exchanges.
That regulatory environment later began to change. For example, the SEC dismissed its civil enforcement action against Coinbase in February 2025.
The SEC’s March 2026 interpretation subsequently established a broader framework for distinguishing digital commodities from other categories of crypto assets.
Hoskinson Calls for International Regulatory Coordination Meanwhile, Hoskinson also stressed that cryptocurrency regulation cannot focus exclusively on the United States.
Digital assets operate across borders, meaning that regulatory decisions in one jurisdiction can affect participants and businesses elsewhere. Consequently, he argued that the U.S. should pursue reciprocal agreements with other jurisdictions so that different regulatory frameworks can recognize and work with one another.
His broader argument centers on creating clearer distinctions between digital commodities and digital securities while coordinating those rules across jurisdictions.
Bitget, one of the world’s largest Universal Exchanges (UEX), has upgraded its Proof of Reserves (PoR) from four cryptocurrencies to 19 major assets, significantly widening the share of user holdings covered by its reserve verification infrastructure. The upgrade extends both platform-level reserve disclosures and personal Proof of Assets verification, giving users greater visibility into how assets held on Bitget are accounted for and the ability to independently verify their inclusion in reserve snapshots.
As exchanges expand the range of assets they support, reserve transparency needs to keep pace. The latest upgrade moves Bitget closer to making verification a standard layer across its ecosystem, rather than a safeguard limited to core cryptocurrencies.
The expanded coverage includes BTC, USDT, ETH, LTC, LINK, XRP, USDC, DOGE, BNB, SOL, ADA, NEAR, XAUT, TAO, SUI, ONDO, HYPE, PI, and USDGO. Through the upgraded PoR page, users can view the reserve ratio and amount of user assets for each supported asset, assess if reserves are sufficient, and see how user assets are distributed across different public blockchains.
Personal Proof of Assets verification has expanded across the same range, allowing users to independently check whether their holdings were included in a PoR snapshot using Merkle Tree verification. Detailed audit records, including Merkle hashes and snapshot information, remain available for users seeking deeper verification.
Bitget has published Proof of Reserves monthly since its launch in December 2022. As of August 2026, the platform had published 45 consecutive PoR reports, with its latest report showing a total reserve ratio of 122%, remaining above the 1:1 reserve standard. Bitget uses Merkle Tree technology to aggregate and verify user assets, allowing users to independently confirm whether their holdings are included in a particular Proof of Reserves snapshot. Users can also download the relevant data and further verify their asset records using publicly available verification methods.
“Users shouldn’t have to simply take our word for it, they should be able to verify their assets for themselves,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget. “Proof of Reserves has been part of Bitget’s transparency framework for nearly four years, and as the assets people hold on our platform become more diverse, that verification needs to expand with them. Expanding from four assets to 19 gives more users that visibility.”
For assets outside the scope of a particular audit, or where corresponding personal records have not yet been generated, Bitget’s Proof of Assets interface provides relevant notices to help users interpret their audit results accurately. As UEX brings a broader range of assets and markets into one trading environment, Bitget is extending the systems that allow users to independently examine what sits behind their holdings. Proof of Reserves, the Protection Fund, and Bitget’s broader security infrastructure form part of that approach, with the goal of making security increasingly measurable and verifiable as the ecosystem grows.

Among them: SBI Group, which has held roughly 9% of Ripple since 2016 and is described as Ripple’s largest external shareholder, according to the primary reporting on the launch. SBI CEO Yoshitaka Kitao has put the value of that stake near $4Bn.
‼️ BOJ INSIDER CALLED IT A YEAR AGO — ARC GOES LIVE AND RIPPLE SITS DOWN WITH CIRCLE THE SAME WEEK! 🤯

That places SBI in an odd spot. It is simultaneously the biggest outside owner of a company built around XRP and RLUSD, and a founding operator securing a rival chain built to make USDC the default unit of institutional settlement.
Here is the tension this article works through: does validating Arc signal SBI is drifting away from Ripple, or is this simply what hedging looks like when banks don’t yet know which settlement rail wins?
Ripple XRP News: What Does Arc do Differently to Ripple? It USDC Into the Rail Itself Arc is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain, meaning it runs the same smart-contract environment developers already use on Ethereum, but with one structural difference: USDC is the native gas asset.
Transaction costs are quoted in dollars rather than a volatile network token, removing a pricing headache that has kept some institutions cautious about public blockchains.
Circle describes Arc as purpose-built for stablecoin finance, pairing that dollar-denominated fee structure with an integrated stablecoin foreign-exchange engine, sub-second settlement finality and opt-in privacy controls.
Circle co-founder and CEO Jeremy Allaire said, “Arc is built on a simple premise: that the global financial system deserves a blockchain network it can trust.”
The mainnet and USDC gas mechanism are live today, alongside a day-one application set spanning decentralized finance protocols like Aave and Uniswap, payments firms including Rain and Wirex, and wallets and exchanges such as Kraken, MetaMask and Upbit.

SBI’s involvement with Ripple goes beyond equity, as SBI Ripple Asia operates Japan’s only live XRP remittance corridor. In March 2026, SBI became Asia’s first regulated RLUSD distributor and a founding validator for a competing stablecoin network.
Similarly, Mastercard has expanded its settlement framework to include RLUSD across eight blockchain networks, including the XRP Ledger.
Both companies are hedging their bets across different settlement networks rather than favoring one. Regulatory developments are crucial; for instance, XRP fell 10% when the US Senate blocked the CLARITY Act, highlighting ongoing uncertainties in Ripple’s home market.
Understanding Ripple’s supply mechanics and scheduled escrow releases is essential to tracking XRP liquidity relative to institutional deals.

What Is Arc Walking Into? Arc’s founding validator cohort lacks crypto-native firms and consists mainly of banks and financial institutions like BlackRock, DTCC, Galaxy, Visa, and others.
Over 100 institutional players have been active on Arc’s private mainnet before its launch. BlackRock intends to deploy its BUIDL tokenized fund, and DTCC is collaborating with Circle to tokenize assets by late 2027.
This month, RLUSD’s supply reached $2.442Bn, with Circle’s USYC exceeding $3Bn, and BlackRock’s BUIDL around $2.4Bn, highlighting the significant tokenization market Arc is entering, influenced by emerging stablecoin regulations in various jurisdictions.
UPDATE: ARC⚡
• Arc has just minted 10 billion $ARC tokens on mainnet
• Circle confirmed this is the full initial supply of ARC
• This is currently a technical milestone and does not confirm a public ARC token launch

— Crypto Sutra (@Cryptosutra_) September 17, 2026
The Verdict: SBI is Hedging, Not Choosing Between Ripple XRP and Arc Nothing in SBI’s Arc validator role indicates it is abandoning Ripple or XRP. It confirms SBI is participating in both ecosystems at once, which is materially different from switching allegiance.
Whether SBI, Mastercard, or other dual-rail participants eventually consolidate around one network remains unresolved. The variable that will actually decide this isn’t which validators sign up.
It’s whether institutional capital ultimately settles around USDC-based infrastructure, XRP liquidity, or a durable multi-rail arrangement where firms like SBI keep a foot on each side of the table.

A synchronized shock in the form of an unexpected Federal Reserve rate hike and the Senate's blocking of the CLARITY Act triggered panic selling: in just 48 hours, $1.11 billion flowed out of regulated spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs.
Amid this market drama, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) chose to maintain a strict administrative barrier, postponing the launch of Teucrium's leveraged inverse (short) XRP ETF for the 19th consecutive time.

While major funds are recording an outflow of liquidity from leading cryptocurrencies, opposing institutional inflows were recorded in Solana (+$116.9 million) and XRP (+$3.5 million), while capital began a local rotation into specialized AI protocols and privacy-sector assets.
A billion down in two days: Who is urgently pulling money out of Bitcoin and Ether — and whyThe main driver of market dynamics remains the record loss figure for the institutional sector: over the past two days, net capital outflows from U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs alone totaled $1.11 billion.
Major asset managers shifted to an emergency evacuation of capital into cash after two consecutive political and macroeconomic shocks. First, the U.S. Senate failed to pass the historic CLARITY Act (49 votes in favor and 50 against), leaving the industry without clear rules of the road or defined judicial jurisdictions.
Second, the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) unanimously raised the benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to a target range of 3.75%–4.00%, while maintaining a hawkish outlook for the remainder of 2026.

A fund-by-fund breakdown of SoSoValue data over the past two days reveals how uneven the panic has been. Of the total losses, approximately $746.3 million came from spot Bitcoin ETFs, while Ethereum ETFs lost approximately $454.2 million.
At the same time, the SEC once again applied the bureaucratic brake. Through the procedural mechanism of a post-effective amendment, the agency moved the launch date of the Teucrium 2x Short Daily XRP ETF to October 11, 2026.
This is already the 19th postponement of the bearish product, which relies on derivatives swaps to provide inverse daily exposure to XRP.
As usual, the Commission provided no explanation, but the decision triggered only irony within the community. Former Ripple CTO and XRP Ledger architect David Schwartz sarcastically remarked on social media that he was "looking forward to the opportunity to short this short fund," highlighting the asymmetry in demand.
Historical weekly crypto ETF fund flows dashboard for BTC, ETH, XRP, and SOL through September 2026, Source: SoSoValueLarge capital used the sell-off to buy, keeping the combined AUM of U.S. spot XRP ETFs stable at $1.40 billion, or approximately 3.7% of the coin's total market capitalization.
Meanwhile, spot Solana ETFs recorded a record inflow of +$116.90 million, fully absorbing the negative sentiment coming from Wall Street.
Blockchain signals currently indicate that the wave of institutional selling is far from over. On-chain trackers recorded that investment giant BlackRock initiated the transfer of large volumes of assets to the Coinbase Prime custody platform, moving 54,096 ETH worth approximately $131.7 million and 2,015 BTC worth approximately $153.8 million.
Such transactions traditionally precede settlements related to ETF share sales, pointing to a high probability that the funds will record net outflows at the close of this week.
How Zcash and RippleX updates are creating AI rails for "smart money"While traditional funds were losing billions on Wall Street, the technological pulse of the industry sharply shifted toward alternative niches: autonomous machine payments and confidentiality-focused scaling systems.
The AI crypto sector demonstrated complete independence from macroeconomic pressure, gaining 4.6% in 24 hours on a global trading volume of more than $2 billion. The leaders of the rebound were Layer 1 protocols: Near Protocol (NEAR) jumped 15%, while Venice Token (VVV) gained 13%.
For the XRP ecosystem, the key driver came from an official release by RippleX, which rolled out version 1.1 of its XRPL AI Starter Kit, adding native support for the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP) from Stripe and Tempo.
This allows autonomous AI agents to independently and instantly — within 3–5 seconds — pay for APIs, computing power, and data packages using XRP or the upcoming native RLUSD stablecoin through integrated payment channels.
With the same narrative, Circle's Arc L1 blockchain also entered mainnet. Its native gas token is USDC, and the network is validated by a consortium comprising BlackRock, Visa, and Mastercard.

The long-awaited Batch V1.1 update, which enables the batch processing of up to eight transactions in a single bundle for AI and institutional DeFi needs, reached 82.9% validator support and entered the final automatic activation timer, scheduled for September 29, 2026, at 14:06 UTC.
The LendingProtocolV1_1 credit-pool protocol was also officially deployed in the code of xrpld 3.4.0.
The absolute anomaly of the day was the explosive rise of the privacy coin Zcash (ZEC), which surged beyond the $1,350–$1,400 range, increasing the project's market capitalization to $23 billion.
The parabolic rally triggered a massive short squeeze, trapping a large institutional short position worth $51.5 million. That short is now more than $26 million underwater.
The asset's move was driven by three hard factors:
Successful hard fork: 99.9% of participants voted to reduce the block time from 75 to 25 seconds for instant settlements.Tokenomics protection: 98.9% of users supported preserving the deflationary halving under the Bitcoin model.Venture capital: Paradigm co-founder Matt Huang confirmed direct investment in ZEC and long-term support for the ZODL laboratory, which previously raised $25 million from Paradigm, a16z crypto, and Coinbase Ventures.Point two is akin to saying that shareholders shouldn’t control a corporation.
It anoints trusted third parties off-chain using pleasant-sounding words like “community.” It creates sybil attacks and unending politics.
Blockchains are markets, not democracies or aristocracies.
— Naval (@naval) September 17, 2026 The growth of privacy-sector assets reflects a defensive market reaction. Against the backdrop of panic in the United States, capital is seeking rails protected from external administrative pressure and constant algorithmic monitoring of data.

Five contracts with auto-rollover and ruble settlement The perpetual contracts are listed as BTCUSDF, ETHUSDF, SOLUSDF, XRPUSDF and TRXUSDF, each tracking a corresponding MOEX index under the codes MOEXBTC, MOEXETH, MOEXSOL, MOEXXRP and MOEXTRX. They are quoted in U.S. dollars as the value of the underlying index but settle in Russian rubles, with funding calculated using parameters of K1 equal to 0% and K2 equal to 0.35%. The exchange described the instruments as cash-settled daily futures with automatic rollover, meaning they carry no expiry date and no physical delivery of the digital assets. Perpetual futures, it added, give professional participants and their clients an additional way to diversify within the crypto-assets market.
Exchange cites demand and its legal framework Maria Patrikeeva, managing director of the derivatives market at Moscow Exchange, framed the launch as a milestone for Russia’s derivatives market and said the exchange sees high demand from investors for derivative instruments on digital assets. Providing access within the Russian legal framework is essential, she added, because the exchange’s infrastructure guarantees settlement reliability, transparent pricing and protection of traders’ rights. Since the first crypto futures debuted last summer, more than 72,000 qualified investors have traded them, with total volume exceeding 600 billion rubles, the exchange said.
A widening line of institutional crypto products The new contracts join the 31 perpetual futures already offered by MOEX across currencies, indices, precious metals and securities. The exchange first entered crypto derivatives in June 2025, when it listed Bitcoin futures for qualified investors under the IBIT ticker. Its derivatives market is the leading venue for trading derivative instruments in Russia and Eastern Europe, and the expansion arrives as perpetual futures have become a defining venue for crypto speculation globally, a trend reflected in BlockchainReporter’s look at how exchanges use perpetual contracts to trade assets around the clock.

XRP whales moved early as 85 new millionaire wallets appeared before the dramatic August breakout.
XRP’s recent 70% rally may have had an early on-chain signal. Santiment found 85 new wallets holding at least 1 million tokens appearing just two days before the August 17-21 surge.
That matters because these larger wallets can absorb supply and strengthen bids while shifting liquidity faster than retail traders. Changes in their numbers have often appeared ahead of XRP’s sharpest moves.
Millionaire Wallets Were Already on the Move There is also more happening around the XRP Ledger. Ripple backed an RLUSD credit fund focused on fintech and payments lending on XRPL. ZILO and Licuido investments brought tokenization plus transfer-agency and collateral-mobility rails into Ripple’s stack.
Looking toward the rest of the year, Santiment considers the setup to be constructive. Whale wallet numbers remain high, while RLUSD adds settlement utility and institutional tokenization gives XRP a story beyond retail hype.
Separately, AI is also moving further into Ripple’s treasury operations. Just last week, the company announced expanding GSmart to handle a wider range of work for enterprise finance teams. The new capabilities cover forecasting, liquidity, risk, reconciliation, and reporting, and are already being used by Ripple’s enterprise customers.
Despite the gains it had made previously, XRP took the biggest hit among major cryptocurrencies following the Senate’s failure to move the CLARITY Act forward. This is a major blow to an industry that has spent years pushing for a comprehensive US regulatory framework. Over the past day, the token has shed more than 8%.
The broader crypto market was awash in red by Tuesday afternoon as well.

Former Ripple CTO Says Yes – But the Math Is Brutal XRP Faces Key Test as Historical Pattern Points to Possible Pullback Bullish Setup Takes a Hit Crypto analyst Diana said XRP could face further downside after the token lost the $1.34 support level and fell quickly toward $1.26. The move weakened its earlier bullish setup, which had pointed toward the $1.70-$1.78 range. The bulls now need to defend the $1.24-$1.26 area.
If that level fails, the analyst said that $1.14-$1.10 could come into focus, followed by the $1.00 mark if XRP drops below $1.1. Diana also flagged that its one-hour RSI had fallen close to 21, which put the token in deeply oversold territory. That could trigger a short-term bounce.
On the institutional front, US-based spot XRP ETFs continued to attract capital. So far in August, they have raked in over $43 million in inflows. If the trend continues, these funds could extend their inflow streak to 10 consecutive weeks.
Franklin Templeton’s XRP exchange-traded fund has recorded another round of fresh investor demand, with XRPZ attracting roughly $3.5 million in net inflows.
The Franklin XRP ETF was the only XRP fund to record positive flows for the day, according to the latest fund-flow data.
More precisely, separate SoSoValue data put XRPZ’s Sept. 16 net inflow at $3.5013 million. The fund has now accumulated roughly $483 million in net inflows.

XRP plunged sharply after the U.S. Senate failed to advance the CLARITY Act on Sept. 15. CoinGecko historical data shows XRP trading at roughly $1.42 on Sept. 14 before falling to around $1.28 on Sept. 15, amounting to a decline of approximately 10%. XRP subsequently recovered modestly to around $1.30.
At the latest reading provided by CoinGecko, XRP was changing hands near $1.30, with a 24-hour range of roughly $1.25 to $1.31. The token remained down about 6.7% over the previous seven days and roughly 30.1% over the past month.
Crypto market analyst JD, known for his technical charting and active presence on X as @jaydee_757, has outlined a bullish scenario for XRP, suggesting the token could be on the verge of a major breakout that surpasses its previous all-time high. JD has developed a following for his long-term analysis of XRP price action, spotlighting technical formations that have preceded major moves in previous cycles.
Multi-year pattern identifiedJD’s study spans XRP price behavior from 2017 through a projected 2028 period, emphasizing a symmetrical triangle formation that began to take shape in 2018. For more than six years, XRP traded within converging trendlines, creating a compression pattern bounded by falling resistance and rising support levels.
According to JD’s analysis, XRP broke out above this triangle’s upper boundary in late 2024. The breakout accompanied a substantial surge in price from around $0.50 to over $3, signaling the end of the long consolidation and the beginning of a bullish phase.
JD highlights a symmetrical triangle that contained XRP’s price for years, noting the significant rally that followed its breakout. This technical structure is now cited as the clearest sign of a new potential cycle in XRP’s history.
JD’s projection extends well into 2028, arguing that the structure now forming on the weekly chart could mirror the dramatic move observed after the previous breakout.
New phase: Falling wedge formationFollowing the sharp rally beyond $3, XRP entered a corrective pattern. JD identifies this current setup as a falling wedge, a technical formation where the price trends downhill between two downward sloping, converging trendlines. This structure took shape after XRP reached its all-time high of $3.65 in July 2025.
Currently, XRP trades at $1.34, lingering close to the lower edge of the wedge. JD supports his outlook with an inset comparison to historical falling wedge patterns, which often resolve with notable upward breakouts.
A highlighted support zone is marked on JD’s chart, which he refers to as a significant opportunity for accumulation. He projects a strong move upwards from this area, with a large green arrow on his chart indicating a potential rally that could take XRP to new record highs.

He now describes his current strategy as a pursuit to “dominate this cycle,” repeating that this could be his final round focusing on XRP.
Describing the current setup as “the opportunity of a lifetime,” JD projects a decisive upward move for XRP, citing historical precedents where similar technical structures produced steep rallies.
He encourages XRP supporters to take notice of these patterns, suggesting that the asset is approaching a critical inflection point. However, JD’s analysis is centered around technical indicators and does not account for external variables such as regulatory or macroeconomic changes.
JD, recognized for his technical approach on social media, emphasizes the importance of long-term structural setups when analyzing volatile assets such as XRP. He maintains that multi-year consolidation followed by a confirmed bullish breakout forms the basis for his positive outlook on the token’s potential performance in the coming cycle.
Ripple’s long-term ally SBI Group and latest partner Kyobo Life Insurance completed the Japan-South Korea stablecoin-based cross-border proof-of-concept project. The firms performed a direct transfer between Japanese yen (JPY) and Korean won (KRW) stablecoins without relying on the US dollar as an intermediary currency.
SBI Group Tested Cross-Border Stablecoin Payment with Kyobo Japan’s SBI Group and South Korea’s Kyobo Life Insurance successfully conducted direct institutional fund transfers between the two countries using JPY and KRW-linked stablecoins. This proof-of-concept project began in July, with Canton Network as the test environment.
The firms verified a direct exchange between the yen stablecoin and the Korean won stablecoin, without needing to first convert to U.S. dollars. Previously, yen had to be converted first into US dollars and then into won, increasing both time and transaction costs.
Ripple’s partners SBI Group and Kyobo Life Insurance used Canton proof-of-concept trials to convert yen stablecoins directly to won stablecoins. They validated the process using test tokens.
Both parties stated that this model is expected to reduce time, and costs, and exchange rate risks in cross-border institutional fund transfers. The project also proved an operational model for safely handling digital assets transferred from overseas and their associated settlement funds domestically.
SBI and Kyobo Life Insurance plan to further cooperate in the Web3 ecosystem, including Japan-South Korea digital asset exchanges, asset management, and new business models based on transaction structures.
Ripple’s Expanding Deeper into Asia Markets Financial infrastructure and blockchain payments firm Ripple continued to push into Asia markets, especially Japan and South Korea. The region has seen growing adoption and regulatory developments as demand for cross-border payments, custody, and tokenization rises.
Ripple and SBI have collaborated since 2016. Recently, the firms partnered to launch RLUSD stablecoin in Japan. SBI Holdings has a 9% shareholding in Ripple worth $41.2 billion, playing a key part in XRP and XRP Ledger ecosystems.
Meanwhile, Ripple and Kyobo announced a partnership to pilot tokenized Korean government bond settlement on Ripple Custody and to assess stablecoin payment rails.
To scale these operations beyond testing phases, financial institutions rely on the industry’s leading stablecoin settlement platforms to handle multi-jurisdictional currency conversions.
Franklin Templeton’s XRP exchange-traded fund, known as XRPZ, continued to draw new investor interest with net inflows totaling approximately $3.5 million. This influx marked one of the highest daily net flows among XRP ETFs in recent sessions and came amid a period of heightened volatility for the token.
Consistent demand for Franklin’s XRPZThe latest fund flow data indicated that Franklin’s XRPZ was the only XRP fund to secure positive inflows for the day, standing out from competing products. Data from SoSoValue showed that the net inflow for XRPZ reached $3.5013 million on September 16. Cumulatively, the Franklin XRP ETF has now gathered net inflows of about $483 million since launch.
CoinGlass reported that, earlier in the week, all $2.73 million in net inflows to XRP ETFs were entirely attributed to Franklin’s product. On other sessions, such as September 10, Franklin captured all $3.69 million in net inflows.

Franklin Templeton has emerged as one of the most stable sources of XRP ETF demand throughout September, often recording fund inflows on days when competitors did not.
Competitive landscape among XRP ETFsRecent data highlighted notable variations in net influx across different providers. On September 9, XRP ETFs drew roughly $8.67 million, with Bitwise’s fund receiving $6.57 million and Grayscale’s product securing $2.11 million. In contrast, Franklin dominated other sessions by capturing the majority or entire inflows during quieter trading days.

XRP price action and legislative headwindsThe ongoing inflows have occurred as XRP’s price experienced significant swings. The token’s sharp drop followed the US Senate’s failure to advance the CLARITY Act on September 15. The procedural vote missed the required threshold of 60 votes, marking a setback for the digital asset industry and prompting widespread selling across cryptocurrencies.
CoinGecko data showed XRP trading near $1.42 on September 14 before declining to about $1.28 on September 15, a fall of approximately 10%. The crypto asset later rebounded modestly, reaching around $1.30 in subsequent trading sessions.
At the latest reading, XRP remained near $1.30, fluctuating in a 24-hour range of about $1.25 to $1.31. Over the past week, the token was down roughly 6.7%, and over the last month, it had lost around 30.1% in value.
XRPZ continued to attract new funds even as the wider market reacted to the US Senate’s rejection of key cryptocurrency legislation, demonstrating persistent investor appetite for exposure to the token via regulated products.
Franklin Templeton’s XRP exchange-traded fund, listed under the ticker XRPZ, reported new investor inflows totaling $3.5 million, positioning it as the sole XRP ETF to post positive net flows for the latest trading session.
Franklin retains top position in XRP ETF inflowsLatest data from SoSoValue indicated that XRPZ took in $3.5013 million in net inflows on September 16. Over time, the fund has accumulated approximately $483 million since launch, continuing its momentum as a leading choice for XRP-backed investment vehicles.
Franklin Templeton is a global investment management firm specializing in a range of asset classes, including mutual funds, ETFs, and alternative investments. The group’s XRP ETF has become one of the most active products for institutional investors seeking exposure to Ripple’s token.
CoinGlass reported that for the preceding session, all $2.73 million in net inflows into XRP ETFs originated from Franklin’s XRPZ, underlining its prominent role in current capital allocations within the XRP ETF segment.
Recent net flows across XRP ETFsDuring the past several sessions, net inflows into XRP ETFs have fluctuated. On September 15, no net flows were reported. The previous day, total XRP ETF inflows reached $8.40 million.
No net inflows or outflows appeared on September 11, while Franklin alone accounted for $3.69 million in net inflows on September 10. A day earlier, September 9, ranked as one of the more active sessions, attracting about $8.67 million in total to XRP ETFs. XRP price movement amid ETF demandThe recent surge in ETF inflows has taken place against a backdrop of sharp declines in XRP’s spot price. After the US Senate failed to advance the CLARITY Act on September 15, risk-off sentiment triggered widespread sell-offs throughout the digital asset market, with XRP among the hardest hit.
CoinGecko data showed XRP trading at roughly $1.42 on September 14, before it fell to around $1.28 the next day, marking a drop of around 10%. While the token saw a slight rebound to $1.30, it remained down approximately 6.7% over the previous week and about 30.1% for the month.
XRP plummeted following the US Senate’s decision to halt the CLARITY Act, which failed to pass the 60-vote threshold, intensifying risk aversion in the cryptocurrency space.
At the last available reading, XRP was trading near $1.30, fluctuating within a 24-hour range between $1.25 and $1.31, as investors watched both ETF movements and legislative developments for signs of further market direction.

XRP has reclaimed the $1.30 level after a period of volatility sparked by the US Federal Reserve’s September 16 Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) decision to increase interest rates by 25 basis points. The central bank moved its policy range to 3.75%-4.00%, marking the first rate hike since 2023, a decision closely watched by cryptocurrency traders given its potential effects on market sentiment and liquidity.
XRP price climbs as shorts exit post-FOMCAnalysts indicate that much of XRP’s initial rebound has been driven by the closing of short positions constructed ahead of the Fed announcement. According to BNC data, XRP quickly recovered to the $1.30 mark following the rate hike and macroeconomic updates that unsettled digital asset markets earlier in the week.
Crypto analyst @CW8900 observed on social media that traders holding bearish bets on XRP started to unwind these positions following the FOMC outcome. This “short covering,” which occurs when traders buy back assets to exit their negative positions, often fuels additional buying momentum in the near term.
Short covering in XRP futures has triggered a surge above $1.30, providing immediate support yet falling short of signaling a broader long-term reversal.
The analyst underscored that the closing of shorts was primarily a reaction to the Fed’s rate move, with the central bank’s messaging remaining relatively hawkish in the wake of persistent inflation concerns.
For XRP, distinguishing between short covering and genuine trend reversal is crucial for traders as the price action stabilizes near resistance.
Fed rate hike maintains pressure on risk assetsThe Federal Reserve, led by Chair Kevin Warsh, unanimously approved the quarter-point hike and projected a year-end policy rate of 4.1%. The bank emphasized solid US economic activity and reiterated its commitment to achieving a 2% inflation target.
Chair Warsh described inflation as “too high for too long,” reiterating the bank’s focus on price stability. Updated policy projections suggest an additional rate hike may be possible before 2026 concludes.
Fed officials estimate a median federal funds rate of 4.1% by the end of 2026, reflecting continued tightening in monetary policy.
Major US equity indices declined in response. The S&P 500 fell 1%, the Nasdaq dropped 0.7%, and Treasury yields climbed, signaling broader risk aversion impacting all risk-sensitive assets including cryptocurrencies like XRP.
Ripple, the company behind XRP, provides payment solutions and cross-border transfer technologies built on blockchain networks.
Tighter monetary conditions generally decrease liquidity, dampening appetite for assets such as cryptocurrencies.
Technical analysis: Key XRP pivot and support levelsTechnical data from TradingView, as noted by @CW8900, highlight the importance of the $1.2862 Point of Control (POC), a price level where the highest volume was traded within the current range. XRP’s repeated interactions around $1.30 make this price zone critical in chart analysis.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) for XRP has started to rise after last week’s dip, indicating a pick-up in buying momentum. However, with a current value of 43.82, the RSI is still below its midpoint and above traditional oversold territory. The MACD remains on a sell signal, and the 10-period momentum reading is also negative.
TradingView’s technical signals are mixed: out of all indicators, 13 show “sell,” 10 are “neutral,” and only three flash “buy.” Most of the bearish bias is driven by moving averages, with oscillators presenting a largely neutral outlook.

XRP faces resistance from the 10-period EMA at $1.345, the 20-period EMA at $1.347, and the 30-period EMA near $1.325, creating a tight band below the next technical test at approximately $1.35. Classic and Fibonacci pivot calculations both highlight $1.354 as a pivotal resistance zone.
Above $1.35, Camarilla resistance levels are found at $1.445, $1.510, and $1.575, with the Fibonacci first resistance at $1.626. Support is identified at $1.314, $1.249, and $1.184, while classic pivot support sits at $1.011. These levels are used as references rather than targets by active traders.
Higher timeframe analysis highlights key $1 supportA three-month chart review by technical analysts identified strong support for XRP at $1 due to several converging factors: multi-month support, prior lows, previously broken highs, and significant candle closes in this zone.
XRP briefly dipped below $1 in August, touching about $0.98, its lowest price since November 2024, before rebounding. Observers now consider $1 a long-term support marker, while $1.30 operates as both short-term support and resistance.
Market outlook: XRP awaits breakout confirmationWhether XRP can extend its current rally depends on the ability to clear the resistance cluster between $1.32 and $1.35. Holding above the Point of Control supports the immediate rebound case, but a break below could see prices move back toward $1.25 support.
Meanwhile, the macroeconomic backdrop remains challenging. Federal Reserve projections indicate a sustained elevated policy rate and continued vigilance on inflation, factors that may limit risk asset rallies.
Short covering continues to distinguish the current move from a definitive bullish reversal, with technical signals signaling caution. CoinDesk currently reports XRP at $1.30, a market capitalization near $81.9 billion, and 24-hour trading volume of approximately $2.6 billion.
The outlook for XRP remains dependent on further price movement above resistance, a shift in momentum indicators, and improved sentiment as traders track both technical setups and shifts in the broader macro environment.

XRP Price The digital asset experienced a brief push toward $1.50 in early September before retreating to its current position around $1.30, a level that coincides with a significant descending trend line dating back to February.
This trend line served as a resistance barrier until XRP decisively broke through during August’s explosive upward movement. Maintaining a position above this line would confirm the breakout’s legitimacy.
Technical momentum indicators show XRP’s daily Relative Strength Index declining to roughly 47, a substantial drop from the overbought reading above 80 witnessed during August’s price surge. This positions the momentum indicator in neutral territory.

Rising interest rates typically enhance the attractiveness of traditional, lower-risk investment vehicles, potentially diminishing investor interest in volatile cryptocurrency assets. Equity markets also experienced declines following the Federal Reserve’s announcement.
Inflation control remains the Federal Reserve’s primary objective. Policymakers revised their inflation forecasts upward, while robust consumer spending data and elevated energy costs indicate that inflationary pressures may continue.

Senate Vote Derails CLARITY Act Advancement The U.S. Senate blocked the progression of the Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act during this week’s legislative session. Despite securing 50 affirmative votes, the measure fell short of the 60-vote threshold required to advance.
The proposed legislation aimed to establish clear jurisdictional boundaries between the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission regarding digital asset oversight. The bill’s defeat triggered declines in publicly traded crypto companies including Coinbase, Circle, and Galaxy Digital.
Regulatory transparency holds particular significance for XRP. Ripple endured an extended legal battle with the SEC that ultimately concluded in 2025.
The CLARITY Act remains viable despite this setback. Congressional procedural rules allow lawmakers to reconsider the legislation, though securing sufficient support is uncertain.
Should XRP successfully defend the $1.30 support level, traders will look toward $1.40 and the $1.50–$1.60 resistance band as potential upside targets. Conversely, a daily candle close beneath $1.28 would likely redirect attention toward $1.20, with August’s low near $1.00 representing more substantial support.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has voiced strong disappointment after the failure of the Clarity Act, a legislative initiative aimed at establishing a regulatory framework for digital assets in the United States. Garlinghouse described the outcome as a missed opportunity for both the cryptocurrency industry and American competitiveness.
Industry-wide effort behind the Clarity ActGarlinghouse stated that the Ripple team invested significant resources to push the Clarity Act forward. He explained that the mission extended well beyond Ripple itself, as the wider digital asset sector also dedicated efforts to advancing the bill in Washington.
The Ripple CEO emphasized that the Clarity Act represented a chance to bring clarity to companies, consumers, and regulators working with cryptocurrencies in the United States. According to Garlinghouse, greater regulatory certainty was essential to sustain innovation and secure the country’s position within the global digital economy.
Garlinghouse reflected that “our team gave everything we had to get the Clarity Act across the finish line,” noting that this was not just about Ripple but for the broader industry, consumers, and maintaining the United States’ lead in the global crypto landscape.
Following the bill’s rejection, Garlinghouse asserted that consumers and national competitiveness “got left behind” as the legislation stalled. He suggested that political priorities impeded what he considered sound regulatory policy.
Ripple leadership calls for post-mortem reviewIn response to the setback, Garlinghouse called for a systematic examination of the reasons why the legislative effort fell short. He pledged to offer further perspectives in the coming days and called attention to growing partisan divisions around cryptocurrency in Washington.
Garlinghouse was particularly critical of what he described as an “anti-crypto army” within Democratic circles, arguing that partisanship outweighed efforts to enact rational digital asset regulation. However, he indicated that these political dynamics would not deter Ripple’s ongoing involvement in U.S. regulatory discussions.
Ripple, established in San Francisco in 2012, specializes in real-time payment systems and is best known for its digital payment protocol and the XRP token.
Mini dictionary: Clarity Act, a proposed US law intended to create definitive federal rules for the classification and regulation of digital assets such as cryptocurrencies, aiming to bring regulatory certainty to the sector.
Ongoing regulatory efforts by SEC and CFTCDespite the failure of the Clarity Act, Garlinghouse expressed optimism that regulatory development in the US will continue. He highlighted active efforts by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), led by Chair Atkins, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), chaired by Selig, to address gaps in digital asset oversight.
Garlinghouse indicated that Ripple expects to remain actively involved as regulatory agencies move forward with rulemaking intended to fill the vacuum left by stalled legislative reforms.
Ongoing collaboration between government agencies and private industry was described as vital for shaping a regulatory environment supportive of technological advancement while maintaining consumer protection.
Ripple’s business momentum continuesAddressing the impact on Ripple’s operations, Garlinghouse assured stakeholders that the company’s business remains robust. He cited strong demand from both traditional finance clients and participants in the broader digital asset ecosystem.
He affirmed that Ripple’s growth, global reach, and customer base remain unaffected by the missed legislative opportunity. Garlinghouse reiterated Ripple’s commitment to staying engaged with U.S. regulators and policymakers in the pursuit of balanced and effective rules for digital assets.
“Ultimately, the missed vote in Washington does not change Ripple’s momentum, global footprint or customer base” Garlinghouse wrote in a message to the community, coupling disappointment in legislative inaction with confidence in the company’s prospects.
Ripple has integrated XRP payments into Stripe and Tempo’s AI standard, according to a recent announcement. The new XRPL AI Starter Kit aims to enhance automated workflows and wallet management by incorporating XRP alongside RLUSD payments. This move positions XRP as a key element in AI-driven payment systems, which could potentially increase its adoption. Ripple’s latest initiative aligns with its strategy to expand the utility of XRP in machine-to-machine and AI-agent payment scenarios.
Key Takeaways Ripple’s integration of XRP with Stripe and Tempo’s AI standard suggests enhanced utility and broader adoption for XRP. Market pricing appears to reflect moderate optimism, with a potential 15% increase in the likelihood of XRP reaching $3.00 in September. XRP’s involvement in AI-driven payment systems may indicate a strategic shift towards innovative financial solutions. What to Watch Markets will likely monitor Ripple’s ongoing partnerships and technological developments for further indicators of XRP’s potential price movements. Key legislative actions, such as the U.S. Senate’s progress on the CLARITY Act, could significantly impact XRP’s market perception. Additionally, the activation of XRPL upgrades and any major institutional uses of XRP or XRPL could provide further insight into the token’s future performance.

Ripple just gave AI agents their own crypto wallet. The company launched the XRPL AI Starter Kit on June 10, a developer toolkit designed to let autonomous AI systems conduct payments on the XRP Ledger without human intervention.
The kit integrates XRPL into the x402 open payment protocol, which already counts Stripe, Coinbase, and Cloudflare among its supporters. AI systems can now pay for API access, model inference, and other digital services using XRP or Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin, all on their own.
What’s actually in the toolkit Phase 1 of the starter kit includes tools that allow AI clients, including Anthropic’s Claude, to interact directly with XRPL documentation. The practical capabilities are straightforward but meaningful: wallet creation, transaction monitoring, and real-time payment processing.
The integration runs through a partner called t54, which bridges XRPL into the x402 protocol. That protocol has been processing a substantial volume of machine-to-machine transactions, with estimates placing throughput between 75 and 120 million transactions in recent months, worth tens of millions of dollars in aggregate value.
XRPL brings some specific technical advantages to this setup. Settlement times run between 3 and 5 seconds, fees are predictable rather than volatile, and the ledger includes a native decentralized exchange.
The Mastercard connection and Tempo’s parallel track Ripple also joined Mastercard’s Agent Pay for Machines program, a consortium of over 30 industry partners building infrastructure for agentic commerce. Stripe and Coinbase are also members.
Running on a parallel track is Tempo, which co-authored the Machine Payments Protocol with Stripe and launched its own mainnet back in March 2026. MPP and x402 are distinct standards tackling the same problem.
Why this matters for XRP’s utility thesis XRP and RLUSD are positioned as the settlement assets for machine-to-machine transactions on the XRPL side. Coinbase has its own x402 integration running on Base. Tempo’s MPP, backed by Stripe’s distribution, could capture market share independently of x402.
Ripple’s advantage is timing and partnerships. Being integrated into x402 alongside Stripe and Coinbase, while simultaneously joining Mastercard’s agentic commerce program, gives XRPL presence across multiple emerging standards.
The 75-to-120 million transaction range already processed through x402 suggests real usage. Machine payments infrastructure is attracting real usage, and Ripple has placed itself squarely in the middle of it.

Solana (SOL): SOL is testing the crucial $96–$98 support zone as momentum weakens, with a break below $96 potentially exposing $92–$93, while bulls need to reclaim $100–$104 to stabilize the structure.
XRP (XRP): XRP's breakdown below $1.35 has sharply weakened its technical setup, leaving $1.25–$1.28 as critical support and opening the door toward $1.20–$1.15 if that zone fails.
Bitcoin (BTC): BTC is losing short-term momentum around $75,000–$76,000, with $71,500–$73,500 forming the main support cluster, while a recovery above $77,000–$78,000 is needed to improve the near-term picture.
HOT Stories
Tron (TRX): TRX remains compressed around $0.333–$0.335 rather than showing a major momentum breakdown, with $0.325–$0.330 supporting the structure and $0.340–$0.345 acting as the key upside barrier.
Solana enters correctionFollowing the dramatic August breakout that propelled SOL from about $75 to a peak above $110, Solana is currently undergoing its first significant test. Currently trading at about $97, the asset is well above the major moving averages that supported the broader reversal but significantly below its local high.
Weakening short-term momentum is the current issue. SOL consistently failed to break above $102–$104, and subsequent rallies resulted in ever-weaker attempts to move back toward $106–$110.
SHIB/USDT Chart by TradingViewThe price dropped below its short-term moving average near $98 due to the most recent decline, making the $96–$98 region especially crucial. The correction may continue toward $92–$93, where the long-term and rising medium-term moving averages are converging, if there is a persistent break below $96. This is an area of significantly stronger technical support.

Below it, $88–$90 is the next target. Having spent a large portion of the post-breakout period above 50, the RSI has also dropped toward the mid-40s. Even though SOL is far from oversold, this indicates that momentum is waning.
Bulls must reclaim $100 first. The short-term structure would be strengthened by a move above $104, but $110 remains the primary breakout level needed for a further increase.
XRP dives deeperThe technical picture for XRP has deteriorated far more sharply. After falling from the $1.40–$1.45 consolidation range, the asset is currently trading at about $1.27. The most recent daily candle drove XRP through about $1.35, which served as both the long-term moving average's location and horizontal support.
XRP/USDT Chart by TradingViewDuring the breakdown, selling volume also increased significantly, making it more difficult to dismiss the shift as typical intraday volatility. At $1.25–$1.28, XRP is currently testing another significant cluster where shorter moving averages are concentrated.
A relief rebound might result from holding this area, but the first significant resistance would then be the previous $1.34–$1.35 support. The abrupt loss of momentum is reflected in the RSI, which has dropped below 50 and continues to worsen.

XRP may move toward $1.20 and then the bigger breakout origin around $1.15 if $1.25 fails decisively. On the other hand, recovering $1.35 would offset a large portion of the immediate technical damage. Until then, there is still growing pressure on XRP's August breakout.
Is Bitcoin losing momentum? After its August breakout, Bitcoin is losing short-term momentum, but the broader recovery structure remains intact. After another rejection from the $78,000 region and a steep drop through its fast-moving average, Bitcoin is currently trading around $75,600.
BTC/USDT Chart by TradingViewThe sequence that has developed since Bitcoin peaked above $81,000 in early September is the current technical concern. Since then, buyers have been unable to retest that high, and multiple rebounds have stalled between $79,000 and $80,000.
After approaching overbought territory during the August rally, the RSI has dropped below 50. Additionally, selling volume increased after the most recent drop, indicating that the move warrants attention rather than being dismissed as minor volatility. However, Bitcoin has substantial support below.

While another rising average approaches $71,500, the blue and black moving averages converge between $72,500 and $73,500. In the event that $75,000 fails, $71,500–$73,500 becomes the primary technical support cluster.
Bitcoin must recover $77,000 to $78,000. $80,000–$81,500 remains the main resistance range above that. Until then, the market is correcting within the broader August recovery rather than forming a convincing continuation.
What's up with TRX?Although TRX's volatility has significantly decreased, its short-term structure has also deteriorated. The asset is currently trading close to $0.3347, almost exactly within a dense moving average cluster. TRX rose back above $0.340 after bouncing from the early September decline toward $0.321, but it was unable to challenge the August high at $0.345–$0.350.
TRX/USDT Chart by TradingViewThe price has returned to $0.333–$0.335 following the most recent rejection. This region is significant because it is where a number of short- and medium-term averages have converged. Maintaining it preserves the progressive higher-low structure that has been in place since June.
You Might Also Like
Losing it would expose approximately $0.330, with the much stronger long-term support around $0.325–$0.326 coming next. The RSI offers little directional confirmation and remains near neutral. In contrast to Bitcoin, TRX is compressing around its moving averages rather than undergoing a significant momentum breakdown.
The first level bulls must reclaim on the upside is $0.340. A move above $0.345 would indicate a much clearer continuation signal, while breaking that level would reopen the path toward $0.350.
Moscow Exchange has scheduled the Sept. 22 launch of perpetual futures tied to Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP and Tron indexes, with the cash-settled contracts restricted to qualified investors.
Summary
MOEX will launch five perpetual crypto futures on September 22 for qualified market investors only. Contracts track Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP and Tron indexes without delivering underlying digital assets physically. More than 72,000 qualified investors have traded MOEX crypto futures, the exchange said this week. Crypto futures turnover has exceeded 600 billion rubles since MOEX introduced contracts during last summer. Contracts will be dollar-quoted, ruble-settled and automatically rolled using daily funding calculations under exchange specifications. Moscow Exchange said in itsofficial Sept. 16 announcement that the products will operate as one-day futures with automatic rollover, giving investors exposure to cryptocurrency price movements without receiving or transferring the underlying digital assets. The exchange’s contract specification is set to take effect on Sept. 22.
The Sept. 16 announcement remains the latest MOEX launch notice located as of Sept. 17. No subsequent exchange notice reviewed changed the scheduled Sept. 22 start.

— The Crypto Johannes (@TheCryptoJonny) September 17, 2026 MOEX perpetual futures will cover five crypto indexes The new contracts will track five indexes calculated by Moscow Exchange. BTCUSDF will reference the MOEX Bitcoin Index, while ETHUSDF will follow the exchange’s Ether benchmark. SOLUSDF, XRPUSDF and TRXUSDF will track the corresponding Solana, XRP and Tron indexes.
MOEX already offers monthly futures tied to the same five cryptocurrency indexes. Bitcoin and Ether index futures began trading in November 2025, while contracts linked to Solana, XRP and Tron followed on May 14, 2026. Before the altcoin futures arrived, Moscow Exchange changed how its cryptocurrency benchmarks were calculated. Since May 13, the indexes have used prices from major cryptocurrency exchanges and update every 15 seconds during relevant trading periods. MOEX then uses the indexes to calculate settlement values for its existing contracts.
MOEX introduced indexes for SOL, XRP, TRX and BNB in May using data from Binance, Bybit, OKX and Bitget. At the time, the exchange said the benchmarks could later support new trading instruments. SOL, XRP and TRX subsequently became underlying indexes for monthly futures and will now receive perpetual contracts. BNB is not included in the five perpetual futures announced for Sept. 22.
Contracts settle in rubles without delivering crypto Although each new contract will be quoted in U.S. dollars using its corresponding index value, MOEX said financial settlement will take place in Russian rubles. Investors therefore will not need to hold Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP or Tron to trade the products.
MOEX describes all of its current crypto futures as settlement contracts. At expiration or settlement, no cryptocurrency changes hands; only the financial result is calculated and settled through the exchange and participating brokers. Its product documentation says movements in USD/RUB affect the ruble value of the result because the underlying futures prices are expressed in dollars.
Unlike MOEX’s existing monthly crypto-index contracts, the new instruments are one-day futures with automatic rollover. Funding will be calculated under the exchange’s published specification, with MOEX setting the K1 parameter at 0% and K2 at 0.35%.
The exchange already runs perpetual futures across other asset categories. Its existing perpetual lineup contains 31 contracts covering currency pairs, MOEX indexes, the government bond index, precious metals and Russian and foreign securities. Maria Patrikeeva, managing director of the MOEX derivatives market, called the launch “an important milestone in the development of the Russian derivatives market.” She said the exchange was seeing “strong investor demand” for derivatives tied to digital assets.
Crypto futures demand has passed 600 billion rubles MOEX said more than 72,000 qualified investors have traded its digital-asset futures since the exchange began offering crypto-linked contracts, with cumulative transaction volume exceeding 600 billion rubles. The figures come from Moscow Exchange and have not been presented as Bank of Russia statistics.
The exchange’s current crypto derivatives product page still displays an earlier August snapshot showing 71,000 clients had traded crypto-related products since launch. It lists average daily turnover of 2.5 billion rubles during August and a record daily volume of 10.2 billion rubles on Aug. 21.
The newer 72,000 figure in the Sept. 16 release covers activity after that August snapshot. MOEX did not publish a separate breakdown showing how much of the cumulative 600 billion rubles came from Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP or Tron contracts.
However, Moscow Exchange first entered regulated crypto-linked futures with a contract based on BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF in June 2025. An Ether ETF-linked contract followed in August, before MOEX moved to futures directly referencing its own Bitcoin and Ether indexes in November.
As crypto.news reported when the first Bitcoin ETF future launched, access was restricted to qualified investors from the start. The IBIT-linked contract was quoted in dollars and settled in rubles, establishing the same basic cash-settlement structure later used for direct cryptocurrency-index futures.
MOEX’s 2025 annual report said more than 40,000 clients traded its crypto-linked contracts during that year, generating more than 212 billion rubles of turnover.
Russia still limits these derivatives to qualified investors The structure follows rules the Bank of Russia introduced in May 2025 for financial products tied to cryptocurrency prices. The central bank said financial institutions could offer qualified investors derivatives, securities and digital financial assets linked to cryptocurrency values, provided the products did not involve physical delivery of cryptocurrency.
MOEX repeats the restriction on its own crypto-futures page. Both individuals and legal entities must hold qualified-investor status to trade the exchange’s cryptocurrency futures, and brokers determine final client access.
Russia’s rules for direct cryptocurrency transactions changed on Sept. 1, 2026. Under the new legal framework described by the Bank of Russia, both qualified and non-qualified investors can access cryptocurrency through regulated intermediaries, although the two groups operate under different limits.
Non-qualified investors must pass a test and are limited to purchases of eligible liquid cryptocurrencies worth no more than 300,000 rubles per year through each intermediary. The Bank of Russia identified Bitcoin, Ether and USDT for retail access under its liquidity and price-history criteria. Qualified investors can trade cryptocurrencies without the same purchase ceiling after completing the required testing.
As crypto.news reported when the new framework took effect, the Sept. 1 rules created regulated routes for cryptocurrency trading and custody through supervised intermediaries. MOEX’s Sept. 22 perpetual futures remain a separate derivatives product and are limited to qualified investors under the exchange’s specifications.
The Bank of Russia expanded routes to qualified-investor status shortly before the new crypto framework started. Rules effective Aug. 31 allow individuals to qualify through approved Russian financial-market examinations and certificates, including a MOEX Investor Certificate, alongside existing asset, income, experience and education criteria.
Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs hemorrhaged a combined $520 million on September 16, while Solana and XRP quietly absorbed fresh capital.
Bitcoin ETFs shed $295.98 million in net outflows, with Ethereum not far behind at $224.11 million. Meanwhile, XRP ETFs pulled in $3.50 million and Solana ETFs attracted roughly $837,000 in net inflows.
The Fed factor The Federal Reserve raised interest rates by 25 basis points on the same day, pushing the target range to 3.75%-4.00%. That move appears to have triggered a risk recalibration among institutional investors holding the two largest crypto ETF products.
BlackRock’s IBIT, the dominant Bitcoin ETF by assets, was a primary driver of the outflows.
What’s notable is that spot prices for many crypto assets actually ticked up slightly despite the negative ETF flows.
Small caps, big signal Franklin Templeton’s XRP product was the primary magnet for the $3.50 million inflow into XRP ETFs. Solana’s $837,000 is modest by any measure, but it’s the direction that matters when the two largest crypto ETFs are bleeding capital.
The cumulative numbers provide useful context for sizing up these products. Bitcoin ETFs have accumulated $54.57 billion in net inflows since launch, with $95.19 billion in total assets. That represents roughly 6.22% of Bitcoin’s entire market capitalization sitting inside regulated fund wrappers.
Ethereum’s cumulative inflows stand at $13.15 billion, with $15.16 billion in assets. XRP and Solana are playing a different game entirely, with $1.72 billion and $1.37 billion in cumulative net inflows, respectively. XRP ETFs hold about $1.40 billion in assets, while Solana ETFs sit at $1.38 billion.
Those smaller figures mean that even tiny daily inflows represent a proportionally larger vote of confidence. A $3.50 million inflow into XRP ETFs is a rounding error for Bitcoin’s $95 billion complex. For XRP’s $1.40 billion in assets, it’s a quarter of a percent in a single day.
Reading the flows Bitcoin ETFs absorbing nearly $55 billion in cumulative inflows demonstrates that institutional demand for crypto exposure remains structurally intact. A single day of $296 million in outflows, while headline-worthy, represents about 0.31% of total assets.
The same applies to Ethereum. A $224 million outflow day against $13 billion in cumulative inflows is uncomfortable but not catastrophic.
The Franklin Templeton angle on XRP is worth watching. Traditional asset managers attaching their brands to altcoin ETFs lends credibility that pure-play crypto firms can’t replicate.

Russia’s largest Moscow stock exchange (MOEX) plans to launch Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP and TRON (TRX) perpetual futures next week. This comes following Russia President Vladimir Putin signed crypto law to allowed regulated crypto trading.
Russia’s Moscow Stock Exchange (MOEX) Joins Crypto Perpetual Futures Push Moscow Stock Exchange (MOEX), Russia’s largest stock exchange, will launch perpetual futures linked to its Bitcoin, ETH, SOL, XRP and TRX indices on September 22. This marks a groundbreaking development amid a rise in crypto demand in the country.
While it is not a green light for spot crypto trading, the contracts are quoted in US dollars, settled in Russian rubles, and limited to qualified investors. It added that the delivery is not in the underlying crypto assets.
“The launch of perpetual digital currency futures is an important milestone in the development of the Russian derivatives market. We see strong investor demand for digital asset derivatives. Providing access to such instruments within the Russian legal framework is crucial,” a statement reads.
Moscow Stock Exchange already offers monthly and other cash-settled crypto derivatives since last year. The crypto products recorded more than 72,000 traders and total transaction volume exceeded 600 billion rubles.
As CoinGape reported earlier, Russia’s crypto law took effect earlier this month. It legalized licensed crypto trading, custody, and select cross-border settlements.
Bitcoin, ETH, SOL, XRP and TRON Prices Jump Crypto prices have bounced despite the US Fed raising rates by 25 bps. This indicates confidence in the crypto industry over an upcoming rally in the coming weeks. Bitcoin jumped more than 1%, with the price currently trading around $76,600. Trading volume dropped as the CLARITY Act failed to secure Senate votes.
On the other hand, ETH is trading strongly compared to Bitcoin. The price surged more than 2% to $2,450 over the past 24 hours. Solana (SOL) also trades more than 3% higher, rebounding above $100 again.
Meanwhile, XRP price has reclaimed $1.30 after an almost 1% jump. The 24-hour low and high are $1.25 and $1.31, respectively. However, trading volume decreased by 38% in the last 24 hours, indicating traders remains cautious.
TRX price trades near $0.335, moving mostly sideways. Justin Sun’s TRON token has rallied 20% this year, holdings gains amid upgrades and ETF launches.
While Moscow Stock Exchange’s contracts are cash-settled and restricted to qualified domestic investors, retail traders looking to speculate on digital asset price action typically turn to the best crypto futures trading platforms which offer direct token exposure and flexible margin terms.
XRP wallets holding at least $1 million worth of XRP increased shortly before the coin jumped 67% in August, according to analytics platform Santiment.
Santiment said 85 new wallets holding at least 1 million XRP appeared just two days before XRP rose sharply between August 17 and August 21. This suggests that large XRP holders were buying more before the price increase.
85 New Millionaire XRP Wallets Appeared Before the Breakout Santiment reported that 85 new wallets holding at least 1 million XRP appeared shortly before XRP’s price jumped 67% between August 17 and August 21.
Wallets holding 1 million XRP or more are a small part of the XRP community, but they can have a big impact on the market because large holders control a significant amount of XRP. When these large holders buy more XRP, they reduce the amount available for trading and increase buying pressure.
XRP Whale Chart by Santiment Santiment Highlights RLUSD and Institutional Activity on XRPL Meanwhile, Santiment also pointed to growing activity on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) as another positive development for XRP. The platform highlighted Ripple’s support for an RLUSD credit fund that lends to fintech and payment companies using XRPL.
Santiment also mentioned Ripple’s investments in ZILO and Licuido, which are helping add tokenization, asset transfers, and other financial services to the XRPL network. These developments suggest that XRP’s story is about more than just its price. Growth in stablecoins, lending, and tokenized assets increases the usefulness of the XRP Ledger.
Santiment said that the growth in large XRP wallets, RLUSD activity, and institutional projects support the network through the rest of 2026. However, these developments do not guarantee that XRP’s price will rise, as the cryptocurrency is still affected by overall market conditions and resistance levels.
Analyst Warns XRP Could Fall Toward $1.10 While Santiment pointed to positive developments for XRP, crypto analyst Casi has a more cautious view. Casi said XRP has fallen below an important 0.5 Fibonacci level. This means the analyst’s previous expectation of a possible move toward $1.78 is no longer valid.
For XRP to regain strength, Casi believes it needs to move back above the 0.618 Fibonacci level, around $1.65. Until that happens, the analyst is watching $1.10 as an important support level. Casi says this level becomes a target if XRP’s current price decline continues.
Another level to watch is around $0.87, which will become relevant if the decline gets worse. If XRP starts a new upward trend, the $1.10 level could also be important in showing whether buyers are willing to step in and support the price.
XRP price chart by Casi In sum, Santiment’s data shows that large XRP holders increased their holdings before the August price jump. However, analyst Casi says XRP may still fall further unless it recovers important price levels.
XRP is trading at $1.27, down 10% over 24 hours and 11.2% over the past week, following a decline that broke a key technical support level chart watchers had been monitoring for weeks.
Today’s drop lands directly ahead of the Federal Reserve’s rate announcement, expected around 2:00 PM ET, with markets pricing in a roughly 93% probability of a quarter-point hike. The bigger swing for markets may come not from the hike itself, but from how Fed Chair Kevin Warsh frames the path forward in his press conference shortly after.
Support Level Just Broke
XRP has broken below a level that invalidates the pattern experts had been tracking toward a possible run to $1.78. According to Casi Trades, this confirms what she’s been warning for weeks, until XRP can break above $1.65 and hold that level as support, lower price targets remain fully in play.
Three Levels To Watch, Nothing Else Matters Much Right Now
The analyst is focused on three specific price zones and treating everything else as noise. The first is around $1.10. She sees strong technical support there, and holding it would keep the door open for a bigger move back above $2 later.
The second is $0.87. She has a buy order placed near $0.94 as a safety cushion rather than trying to catch the exact bottom. Hitting $0.87 wouldn’t ruin the bigger bullish picture, but it would mean the recovery takes longer than expected.
The third is more bullish. If XRP can break above $1.65, hold it, and push to $1.78, the case for dropping to those lower levels becomes much less likely.
What Happens Next
Casi Trades says $1.10 is the most important level to watch right now. If XRP is truly starting a fresh upward move, this is where it needs to prove it. Until then, she’s keeping $0.87 on the table as a real possibility, not ruling it out. Today’s Fed decision could end up being the deciding factor in which of these paths XRP actually takes.

The XRP Ledger set a new benchmark by processing 3,254 transactions in a single ledger closure, signaling a technical leap in the network’s transaction-handling capabilities.
XRPL achieves transaction density milestoneDigital Asset Investor highlighted this achievement on X, noting that the ledger reached its new record for the second consecutive day. The surge in transaction volume came shortly after the fixCleanup3_3_0 protocol amendment went live, a change designed to optimize technical resource management on the mainnet.
The amendment’s improved cleanup processes eased system overhead, enabling the XRPL to handle a particularly dense batch of activity without network disruption. According to validator operator Vet, the ledger processed all 3,254 transactions in a single block just hours before the announcement—an event described as unprecedented for the protocol.
XRPL’s processing of 3,254 transactions in about 3.5 seconds demonstrates the network’s ability to manage intense bursts of activity and highlights tangible results from the latest infrastructure update.
The XRPL is distinct from other blockchains due to its flexible capacity. Instead of fixed block sizes, the protocol dynamically adjusts ledger limits based on current network demand, allowing for variable throughput in each ledger close.
During the latest event, this meant over 900 transactions per second were processed in a roughly 3.5-second window, far exceeding usual figures and underscoring the value of recent performance enhancements.
Technical gains tied to protocol improvementsThe new record followed the deployment of fixCleanup3_3_0, a protocol change aimed at streamlining how the network clears technical resources after closing a ledger. By making system cleanup more efficient, the amendment directly contributed to the ledger’s capacity for handling bursts in transactional demand.
Network observers caution, however, that the record-setting activity does not confirm the involvement of any specific participants. The spike could stem from automated operations, experimental load tests, or batch processing, rather than being driven purely by major liquidity providers or banking institutions.
Despite speculation surrounding institutional interest, no concrete signals currently link the high-density event to broader market movements.
Optimized resources spark market interestDigital Asset Investor interpreted the consecutive records as a possible sign of larger developments in progress on the XRP Ledger. He referenced the test-like nature of the events and suggested the network could be on the verge of further advancements.
The consecutive transaction records may represent final testing phases, potentially setting the stage for the network to scale to even higher volumes in the near future.
Such protocol-level improvements can be crucial for future enterprise and automated trading applications that depend on fast, reliable settlement. Nevertheless, observers point out that increased throughput alone does not guarantee immediate changes in XRP’s market price.
Amid rapid shifts in crypto, even a lone decision from the Federal Reserve or a surprise altcoin listing has the potential to upend markets in moments. Navigating these fluctuations is increasingly challenging for active traders, especially when managing multiple apps for market charts, breaking news, and portfolio monitoring can lead to missed opportunities. Many traders are now turning to privacy-centric, all-in-one platforms like CryptoAppsy, which consolidate real-time charts, smart price alerts, token-specific news, and relevant macroeconomic indicators in a single dashboard—no account required.
Ultimately, the 3,254-transaction record serves as a concrete measure of XRPL’s enhanced technical performance, providing stakeholders with new data on the network’s ability to handle heavy transaction spikes following a protocol optimization.
XRP may be transitioning into a period of reduced price swings that could pave the way for a substantial move upward, according to prominent cryptocurrency analyst Crypto Bitlord.
Crypto Bitlord, known for his market commentary on X, indicated that XRP’s recent price volatility is now showing signs of stabilization. He expressed high confidence that this phase of lower volatility is setting the foundation for a rally, first targeting $2 before attempting to revisit XRP’s all-time high.
“I’m 99% certain it’s basing out to push for $2 and then ATH,” Crypto Bitlord stated, emphasizing his conviction in the asset’s current trajectory.
XRP price movements appear to have settled, and the current structure could support a move toward $2 first, with the possibility of reaching all-time highs after.
Crypto Bitlord suggested $7 as a longer-term potential target if XRP successfully clears the previously established price milestones. This outlook highlights a highly bullish sentiment among some XRP observers.
XRP’s current levels and targetsSetting $2 as the first major threshold, Crypto Bitlord sees this level as pivotal in determining whether XRP can regain its historical peak and pursue higher valuations. No specific timeline was provided for these targets, but the commentary places clear emphasis on $2 as the next milestone.
The projection of $7 was accompanied by a rocket emoji in the original post, underscoring strong optimism for the token’s longer-term prospects. Despite not naming a timeframe, the analyst positioned this target as the next significant stage beyond the all-time high, should momentum continue.

He argued that the current stability in price action should reinforce commitment to long positions, rather than encourage selling.
“Do not get shaken out,” he wrote, signaling that strong hands may benefit most if a major price move materializes as anticipated.
Short-term volatility is part of the process and may represent an opportunity for XRP holders to maintain or accumulate positions before the next significant uptrend.
Within the XRP community, Bitlord’s predictions sparked debate and discussion. One user questioned why the analyst was not targeting even higher valuations, suggesting figures such as $589. Another commenter remarked that the $7 target could mark the turning point in their own XRP investment outlook, while a further response noted that $2 represents the first serious test before any sustained rally.
Overall, $2 remains the critical near-term objective according to Crypto Bitlord’s analysis, with $7 positioned as a bold potential longer-term endpoint if bullish momentum continues.
Crypto investors are closely watching the Federal Reserve, anticipating a potentially hawkish signal from Fed Chair Kevin Warsh that could impact digital asset prices, particularly XRP. The market expects Warsh to address the press at 2:30 PM Eastern Time, following the central bank’s policy decision.
Fed policy jitters heighten XRP volatilityAnalyst Egrag Crypto has charted short-term accumulation zones for XRP in the event of further market turbulence. Using a 30-minute price chart, Egrag identified an initial accumulation area between $1.26 and $1.30, where XRP is trading at the moment.
Egrag stated that volatility driven by Fed decisions can open up new buying opportunities, not just trigger panic. Should XRP break below the current range, the main target zone for accumulation lies between $1.25 and $1.15, beneath a key support line that analysts are watching closely.
Volatility creates opportunity, and a sharp downside move could generate valuable entry points for disciplined investors rather than reasons to panic. The main focus remains on the $1.15 mark as a potential stronghold for bulls.
XRP’s price previously tested support between $1.15 and $0.95, and according to Egrag, this lower tier might be avoided if bullish momentum strengthens before the $1 level is breached. Liquidation data shows $26.9 million in long positions wiped out, while shorts lost just $3.59 million throughout recent swings.
Mini dictionary: Open Interest (OI) weighted funding rate, a metric used in derivatives trading that reflects the premium (or discount) paid by long or short positions over time. When positive, it often suggests that traders are paying to hold long positions, signaling bullish sentiment.

If bullish traders maintain dominance and keep the OI-weighted funding rate positive, Egrag suggests a recovery move toward $1.40 is possible.
Currently, Binance, one of the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges, reports its bullish XRP traders outnumber short sellers by two to one. However, this trend is not reflected across the entire market, as the broader long-short ratio shifted bearish ahead of the Fed’s announcement, falling to 0.9581.
While Binance data shows bullish behavior among its users, the overall sentiment in the derivatives market suggests caution as traders brace for volatility tied to Fed policy.
This shift in sentiment and positioning comes after a significant volume of long liquidations, illustrating the heightened sensitivity of digital asset markets to macroeconomic policy signals.
Evernorth CEO Ashish Birla said RLUSD’s expansion on the XRP Ledger is central to deepening liquidity across the network, describing the dollar-backed stablecoin as “paramount” to XRP’s broader ecosystem. He said RLUSD’s share of XRP Ledger supply climbed from roughly 20% to 34%, a jump he called 642% growth.
Birla tied that growth directly to how global finance already operates. “Almost every financial product, equities, gold, and so forth, is usually paired and settled with US dollars,” he said, arguing a high-quality dollar stablecoin on the ledger is fundamental to building deeper order books, both on the XRP Ledger’s native exchange and decentralized platforms handling global trade.
Total Tokenized Asset Value Hits Record $4.4 Billion
The XRP Ledger’s total tokenized real-world asset value has reached a record $4.4 billion, according to Birla, a figure he pointed to as evidence institutional participation is accelerating rather than waiting on the sidelines.
Birla contrasted his experience meeting Wall Street institutions roughly a decade ago with more recent conversations. A decade back, he said, institutions nodded along to XRP and blockchain pitches but had no concrete plans, offering only proof-of-concept experiments. This past summer, meeting the same tier of institutions again, he found a different posture entirely. “They’re not waiting,” Birla said. “They are building teams. They are deploying. In their mind, this is happening.”
He pointed to BlackRock’s involvement through its BUIDL fund as one example of that institutional shift, alongside continued regulatory clarity from the SEC under Chairman Paul Atkins.
Evernorth’s Path to a Nasdaq Listing
Evernorth is progressing toward a Nasdaq listing pending a SPAC shareholder vote and final approvals. If the vote succeeds and the listing closes, Evernorth shares would trade under the ticker XRPN.
What the XRP Liquidity Report Shows About Retail Activity
Asked why retail account activity on the XRP Ledger hasn’t shown the same growth as institutional flows, Birla pointed to Evernorth’s regularly published XRP Liquidity Report, which the company uses to track ecosystem health. He said the data suggests larger institutional accounts are now driving a growing share of network volume, calling that a strong institutional signal rather than a sign retail participation is weakening.
Birla acknowledged room for improvement on the retail side, though. He said the broader XRP ecosystem needs to build more features and use cases specifically aimed at drawing everyday users into using and building on the network, calling it an area of further growth opportunity rather than a current weakness.

A cryptocurrency trader has opened a highly leveraged $1.06 million long position on XRP, attracting widespread attention from the crypto community due to the position’s scale and risk profile.
$1.06 million position leverages XRPCrypto analyst Xaif Crypto reported that the trader entered the position at $1.4145 per XRP with 20x leverage, placing the liquidation level at $1.1082. The wallet executing the trade currently holds $5.43 million, and over the past 30 days, has realized profits totaling $962,000.
This highly leveraged bet could yield significant gains if the price of XRP rises, but it equally exposes the wallet to considerable downside risk. Should XRP’s price fall to the liquidation point, the entire $1.06 million position would be lost.
Xaif Crypto highlighted the trader’s confidence in deploying substantial capital under such terms:
“This wallet just opened a $1.06M XRP long at 20x leverage. Entry: $1.4145 | Liq: $1.1082. The account is sitting at $5.43M with $962K realized in 30 days. Someone’s confident.”
Observers are closely monitoring this position, as such aggressive leverage is relatively rare for a single trade of this size in XRP.
Market reaction and liquidation riskMarket participants quickly analyzed the risks tied to the trade. BankXRP, an active commentator on digital asset markets, pointed out that the liquidation level stands about 21% below the entry price, suggesting either high conviction or a robust risk appetite. Grandpa Unlimited expressed greater caution, noting that heavy leverage amplifies potential losses even with small moves against the position. The commenter also reminded followers that past profits of $962,000 do not guarantee future gains if market direction turns.
Fellow analyst MEPH discussed broader market conditions, warning that if many traders maintain similar leveraged long positions, overall market liquidity at liquidation levels could diminish. MEPH recommended keeping an eye on open interest, funding rates, and order book depth in conjunction with this wallet’s behavior.
In another perspective, commenter MjB38 indicated that a liquidation buffer nearly 22% below the entry price might reflect moderate protection from the wallet’s collateral, but cautioned that such sizable bets reflect conviction rather than any assurance of XRP’s direction:
The significant gap between entry and liquidation points likely indicates that the trader has structured their collateral to absorb market volatility, but leveraged trades always carry elevated risks regardless of recent profits.
Xaif Crypto is a well-known independent analyst frequently cited in online forums for reporting on prominent on-chain transactions and providing commentary on high-stakes trades in the digital asset space.
Mini dictionary: Liquidation price, the specific value at which a leveraged trading position is automatically closed by the exchange to avoid further losses when the market moves against the trader’s position.
Although the trader’s strategy has drawn significant interest, market volatility and the intrinsic risks of high leverage remain key concerns for observers tracking XRP positions of this scale.
A 2012 agreement involving Ripple co-founders Chris Larsen, Jed McCaleb, and Arthur Britto has resurfaced, drawing renewed attention after being circulated on social media amid Ripple’s $1.2 billion acquisition of institutional brokerage platform Hidden Road.
The document, signed on September 17, 2012, confirms that Britto, along with Larsen and McCaleb, played a foundational role in developing the distributed, open-source payment and virtual currency platform known as Ripple.
According to the agreement, 80% of all Ripple Credits—now called XRP—would be allocated to the company. Britto was designated to receive 2% of the total, as recorded on the official ledger, which the founders expected to comprise 100 billion credits.
To safeguard Britto’s share, the agreement stipulated that if a revised ledger or new ledger within 36 months reduced his percentage, he had the right to claim additional credits at no charge, restoring his grant to 2%.
The contract also addressed intellectual property. Britto agreed to open-source his contributions simultaneously with the other founders. In return for assigning his intellectual property rights to the company, Britto obtained a lifetime, fully paid license to create applications or new features for the Ripple protocol.
Britto received a 2% allocation of all Ripple Credits and a perpetual license to develop on the Ripple platform, according to the signed agreement from September 2012.
Echo X, a prominent crypto community member, shared this document on X, highlighting Britto’s “lifetime rights” to develop within the Ripple ecosystem. The post referred to Britto as the “silent founder” and raised questions about whether his lifetime license might have enabled him to quietly participate in subsequent Ripple-associated projects.
Echo X then speculated about Britto’s potential connection to Hidden Road, the platform acquired by Ripple for $1.2 billion. The thread questioned if Britto’s development rights could have included work on infrastructure links between Hidden Road and RippleNet, Ripple’s enterprise blockchain solution for cross-border payments.
Further connections were suggested by examining the listed address for Hidden Road and clues from the Fuzzy Bear project, implying possible ties among Britto, Hidden Road, and XRP. However, the leaked agreement does not reference Hidden Road, RippleNet, Fuzzy Bear, or post-2012 ventures, and these ideas remain speculative.
Mini dictionary: Hidden Road, an institutional prime brokerage platform, facilitates digital asset trading and acts as a bridge between institutional investors and various liquidity sources. Ripple acquired Hidden Road in a major deal aimed at expanding enterprise offerings.
Ripple executives respondDavid Schwartz, who served as Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer, commented on the document and specifically addressed a clause granting Britto a lifetime license to build on Ripple’s platform.
Schwartz remarked, “The last sentence of Section 3 always puzzled me. I can’t imagine what anyone thought he would need a license to do.” This observation provides historical context for the seldom-discussed section cited by Echo X.
Schwartz questioned the necessity for Britto’s lifetime license to develop, indicating the clause remained a curiosity to Ripple leadership.
At present, only Britto’s 2% XRP allocation and his lifetime platform development rights are established facts. The broader connection to Hidden Road remains unverified and is presented as speculation within the crypto community.
The XRP Ledger has been added as a settlement option in the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP), the open standard for AI agent payments co-developed by @stripe and @tempo. The integration is powered by @Ripple's XRPL AI Starter Kit and expands the set of payment rails available to autonomous software agents operating within the protocol.
How the XRPL Integration Works Under the integration, AI agents can stream ripple:native over XRPL's native payment channels and settle the full session balance in a single on-chain transaction. Ripple's open-source xrpl-mpp-sdk handles the MPP handshake, credential and receipt envelopes, and the cumulative-voucher session model. Settlement uses XRPL's native PayChannel primitive: a PaymentChannelClaim carrying the close flag settles the cumulative amount to the destination, removes the channel entry, and returns any unspent deposit to the sender, all in one step.
The approach maps closely to MPP's session intent, which describes settlement as a symmetric operation where either party can close the channel and resolve the final balance on-chain.
MPP Background and Broader Ecosystem Support According to Tempo's documentation, the Machine Payments Protocol is an open standard for machine-to-machine payments that lets agents, applications, and people pay for services inline with an HTTP request, without requiring advance setup of API keys or billing accounts. The protocol is payment-method agnostic and supports stablecoins, cards, and other payment rails. @stripe and @tempo launched it alongside Tempo's mainnet in March 2026.
@XRPLF has also confirmed that XRPL is now supported in the Open Wallet Standard (@OpenWallet), an open-source specification that defines how AI agents store, sign, and manage keys across multiple blockchains. The standard currently covers a broad range of chains including EVM networks, Solana, Bitcoin, and XRPL, with private keys stored encrypted locally and never exposed to the agent process.
Together, the MPP and Open Wallet Standard integrations position XRPL as part of a growing stack of infrastructure aimed at enabling autonomous AI agents to transact across the internet without human intermediaries.

EGRAG CRYPTO, a prominent analyst and figure in the XRP community, revealed that he sold 30% of his cryptocurrency portfolio at break-even as the US Senate prepared for a key cloture vote on the CLARITY Act. This move came as market participants closely watched both the legislative development and shifts among leading technical analysts.
The analyst’s strategic approachEGRAG CRYPTO explained his decision as a form of risk management rather than a reaction to immediate market sentiment. He noted that the sale did not bring any profit, emphasizing the move was made for strategic positioning in the face of significant uncertainty.
EGRAG stated that if the market experiences a downturn following the legislative vote, he intends to use the available liquidity to purchase additional tokens. Conversely, if the vote triggers a rally, he will maintain his remaining position, avoiding the potential for missing out on upward movement while retaining sufficient exposure.
Not fear. Not FOMO. Just risk management. If the market drops, I’ll use that liquidity to buy the dip and accumulate more. If the market surges, I still have 70% of my holdings to benefit from any rally.
Previously, EGRAG drew attention for increasing his HBAR holdings by 30% based on his interpretation of market charts, underscoring a recurring willingness to make portfolio moves based on individual analysis rather than prevailing sentiment.
Mini dictionary: EGRAG CRYPTO is a widely followed technical analyst and influencer active in the XRP community, known for making transparent portfolio adjustments and sharing his reasoning with followers.
Significance of the CLARITY Act voteThe US Senate’s cloture vote on the CLARITY Act marked a pivotal moment for digital asset regulation. The bill aims to provide a legal framework for cryptocurrency jurisdiction, extending beyond precedents set by Ripple’s court proceedings. For XRP holders and broader crypto markets, the outcome held the potential for far-reaching implications.
Despite the weight of the event, EGRAG expressed reservations about the bill’s prospects, indicating he saw little chance of its passage. However, he emphasized that his portfolio rebalancing was not an act of pessimism regarding outcomes but a deliberate move to reduce exposure during unprecedented legislative volatility.
EGRAG CRYPTO highlighted he believes the bill has a 0% chance of passing, yet hoped to be proven wrong. His portfolio adjustment reflects caution rather than conviction about the legislative result.
Community response and market perspectivesThe disclosure sparked diverse reactions among crypto observers. Some commenters criticized EGRAG’s move, questioning his risk management. Others voiced support, interpreting the decision as prudent given the uncertain environment.
Certain market participants described the approach as effectively “playing both sides,” advocating flexibility and preparation for both potential outcomes. Meanwhile, several community voices maintained bullish outlooks for XRP. Some stated they expect the price to rise regardless of the CLARITY Act’s outcome, while others suggested that negative sentiment can often precede positive price movements.
Prepared for market volatilityEGRAG CRYPTO’s adjustment illustrates a calculated preference for readiness over static conviction. As many XRP holders anticipate a significant price move after the vote, EGRAG’s strategy leaves him positioned to participate in gains or take advantage of a market pullback. The effectiveness of this preparedness will depend on the legislative outcome and subsequent market direction.
Senator Cynthia Lummis issued a forceful statement after the US Senate rejected the CLARITY Act, criticizing Senate Democrats for the bill’s failure. The legislation, which aimed to establish a clear federal regulatory framework for digital assets, failed to secure the 60 votes required to advance, receiving a 49-50 vote during the cloture procedure on September 15.
Accusations of ObstructionLummis contended that Senate Democrats deliberately undermined the bill. She argued that while Republicans engaged in negotiations in good faith, Democrats continued to shift their demands over the year-long process.
In her statement, Lummis detailed how Republicans addressed Democratic concerns throughout months of discussions, but claimed that each time an agreement seemed near, new obstacles appeared.
“I sat at the table with Senate Democrats working in good faith to get this done while they played games. The second we met them, they made new demands and moved the goalposts,” Lummis wrote.
She specified that Democrats voted against provisions involving restrictions on politicians’ personal crypto investments, enhanced consumer protections, and efforts to secure American leadership in digital assets. Lummis added that this opposition potentially strengthens competitors abroad, stating that the result gives “China and every one of our foreign competitors exactly what they wanted.”
Breakdown of the Senate VoteThe CLARITY Act required 60 votes to proceed but ultimately garnered only 49. Democratic Senators Gillibrand, Warner, Booker, Warnock, Gallego, Alsobrooks, and Cortez Masto, having previously participated in negotiations, voted against the measure. Republicans Collins, Hawley, and Moran also opposed the bill, while Senator Tillis used a procedural motion to recommit as a form of opposition.
According to Lummis, Republican lawmakers made more than 100 significant adjustments in response to Democratic requests, eventually introducing a 635-page substitute bill shortly before the vote. Just hours before the session, Democrats submitted a new counter-offer, further complicating the process.
Lummis had consistently warned that without passage during this Congress, legislative momentum around digital asset market structure would stall for years, delaying potential economic benefits including jobs, investment, and tax revenue.
Policy Uncertainty AheadLummis cautioned that, with the defeat of the bill, meaningful market structure reform for the digital asset space may not see another serious opportunity until 2030. The legislation had previously passed the House of Representatives as well as both the Senate Banking and Agriculture Committees, yet its path was blocked on the Senate floor.
Despite the setback, regulatory agencies such as the SEC and CFTC plan to continue developing rules for the crypto sector, regardless of the bill’s outcome. The next Congress is set to take office in January. Analysts suggest that a possible Democratic majority in the House after November’s elections would further complicate the prospects for new digital asset legislation.
Lummis ended her remarks by accusing Democrats of letting political motives override potential economic gains and described their actions as favoring partisan interests over the American public.
In such a rapidly changing climate—where a single decision by the Federal Reserve or the listing of an altcoin can create volatility within seconds—traders face challenges managing fragmented information sources. Many are now using privacy-focused platforms like CryptoAppsy, which offer real-time charts, smart price alerts, targeted news, and essential macroeconomic data in a streamlined view, all without the need for creating an account.
Grayscale, one of the world’s largest digital asset managers, has made a notable move by significantly raising its portfolio allocation to XRP, the native cryptocurrency of Ripple. The firm’s Digital Assets Next Gen model portfolio now assigns 26% to XRP, making it the second-largest holding after Ethereum (ETH), which leads the portfolio with 42.34%.
Grayscale’s updated crypto allocationsThe latest revision of the model portfolio demonstrates Grayscale’s continued focus on prominent altcoins, as Bitcoin (BTC) is not included. Solana (SOL) and Cardano (ADA) also represent major positions, with Sui (SUI) and Chainlink (LINK) both receiving a 5% allocation each. This strategy places XRP in a prominent position among large-cap digital assets.

XRP as a focus for institutional investorsGrayscale distinguishes itself by holding XRP at Coinbase Custody rather than solely relying on spot market speculation. This signals a deeper commitment to the asset. Other issuers, including Bitwise and Franklin Templeton, also operate Ripple-based exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on public markets, although their volumes outpace Grayscale’s current XRP holdings.
Recent data from SoSoValue indicates that U.S. spot XRP ETFs now amass approximately 1.1 billion XRP. This growing pool points to an acceleration in institutional involvement in XRP beyond purely retail demand.
Ripple is a blockchain-based payment protocol that facilitates fast, low-cost international money transfers. Its native digital asset, XRP, is used to provide liquidity for cross-border transactions.

Market impact and recent price movementsWhile Grayscale has publicly acknowledged XRP’s growing prominence in its allocation, the market response has been turbulent. XRP declined 8.8% on Wednesday following a major rally of 42.6% in the days prior. During this period, most Ripple-based spot ETFs reportedly outperformed Bitcoin and Ethereum, highlighting increased volatility and changing sentiment in the altcoin market.
Investors are now watching the outcome of the Federal Reserve’s upcoming decision regarding interest rate policy. Market analysts suggest that this move could impact the ongoing recovery or put further pressure on altcoins, particularly with uncertainty surrounding the Clarity Act’s role in shaping investor confidence.
XRP’s price action has turned volatile after a rapid climb, leaving investors focused on whether bulls can keep the daily close above the $1.28 Double EMA line, which remains a key support level for the token.
A sustained close above this technical indicator is seen as essential for establishing a local bottom and could support a rebound in momentum for the cryptocurrency.
