Indický soud považuje kryptoměny za majetek
WRX WazirX XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 88
Original source text
The Madras High Court has ruled against WazirX redistributing user’s XRP holdings following its 2024 hack, declaring that cryptocurrencies qualify as property under Indian constitutional law.

Summary

WazirX was barred from reallocating 3,532 XRP tokens belonging to an unaffected user under its “socialisation of losses” plan following a $234 million hack. The court rejected WazirX’s argument that its Singapore-based restructuring automatically applied to Indian users, asserting domestic jurisdiction over crypto holdings accessed in India. The court declared that cryptocurrencies qualify as property under Indian law and can be held in trust. WazirX barred from redistributing user’s XRP under its “socialisation of losses” plan The Madras High Court, one of the High Courts of India, has ruled that cryptocurrencies qualify as “property” under Indian constitutional law and are capable of being held in trust. The ruling came in a case involving user holdings on the Indian-operated platform of WazirX, following a major security breach in 2024.

The court heard the plea of an individual whose account held 3,532 XRP tokens that were unaffected by the hack but were set to be diluted under WazirX’s proposed “socialisation of losses” plan. The plan, approved in Singapore as part of a restructuring process, would have spread the losses from the July 2024 hack—reported at approximately $234 million —across all users, including those whose assets were unaffected.

WazirX argued that its Singapore-based restructuring governed its Indian users, but the court disagreed. Justice N. Anand Venkatesh held that the petitioner’s crypto holdings were held “by means of the WazirX platform” in India, and thus the court exercised domestic jurisdiction.

He directed the Indian operator, Zanmai Labs Pvt Ltd, to furnish a bank guarantee corresponding to the value of the frozen XRP while the matter is resolved. The court emphasised that the tokens must remain with the user and cannot be reallocated without proper legal basis.

The Madras High Court’s decision arrives amid India’s slow progress toward comprehensive crypto regulation. While the country enforces a 30% capital gains tax and 1% tax TDS on crypto trades, it still lacks legislation defining ownership rights, investor protections, or exchange accountability.

By treating crypto as property in this decision, the court has provided a crucial legal benchmark that strengthens investor protections and could guide the development of future regulatory frameworks.

On June 14, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings show the regulator has formally approved a rule change proposed by NYSE Arca that enables the listing and trading of the T. Rowe Price Active Crypto ETF. An actively managed cryptocurrency ETF, the fund will invest in a basket of digital assets meeting SEC-defined "eligible asset" criteria. While it uses a cryptocurrency index as its benchmark, it will not track that index passively. The filing notes the fund is projected to hold roughly 5 to 15 distinct cryptocurrencies, including major tokens like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, Cardano (ADA), Avalanche (AVAX), Litecoin (LTC), Polkadot (DOT), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Chainlink (LINK). The SEC filing also reveals the fund may hold stablecoins—primarily USDC—as "tokenized cash" during normal operations to cover expenses and rebalance assets, though these will not count toward its core investment portfolio. The approval notice stresses the product must adhere to NYSE Arca’s rules around anti-manipulation, disclosure, liquidity, and risk management. It also requires the fund to have information barriers (often called "firewalls") and position transparency mechanisms in place to uphold market fairness and prevent insider trading. Analysts say this ETF’s approval further expands cryptocurrency’s footprint within the traditional financial sector, marking the arrival of actively managed multi-crypto ETFs as tradable products under mainstream regulatory oversight.

Ripple získal předběžné schválení podle MiCA, výběry XRP na Binance rostou
OP Optimism XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
For months, XRP holders have watched price action struggle to gain meaningful traction. Yet beneath the surface, two developments are quietly reshaping the conversation around the asset. The latest XRP news centers on Ripple securing preliminary MiCA approval in Europe and a notable shift in Binance transaction behavior that has persisted for an entire week.

Neither event guarantees a price reversal. Still, both point toward growing institutional relevance and changing user behavior at a time when market participants have been searching for reasons to turn constructive.

Ripple Gets Europe’s Regulatory Green LightRipple announced that it has received preliminary MiCA approval to offer regulated crypto payment services across Europe. The approval effectively moves the company closer to legally providing crypto and stablecoin-based payment infrastructure to banks and businesses throughout the European Union.

MiCA is widely viewed as one of the most comprehensive crypto regulatory frameworks globally. According to details shared around the announcement, regulators issued Ripple a “green light letter,” indicating the company has met major requirements while final conditions remain before a full license is granted.

For Ripple, the implications extend beyond compliance. The approval opens the door for broader adoption of its payment technology, including RLUSD, among institutions seeking regulated cross-border settlement solutions.

Institutions Could Finally Join The NetworkThe significance of the development lies in accessibility. European banks and businesses may eventually gain a compliant pathway to use Ripple’s infrastructure for international payments. In an industry often slowed by regulatory uncertainty, obtaining preliminary approval under MiCA provides an important credibility boost.

More importantly, it strengthens the long-term utility narrative surrounding the broader XRP ecosystem. While traders often focus on daily price fluctuations, infrastructure milestones tend to have a longer shelf life than short-lived market hype.

Binance Data Shows A Curious ShiftAt the same time, on-chain activity is telling an interesting story. According to CryptoQuant data shared by Amr Taha, XRP withdrawal transactions on Binance have dominated deposit transactions for seven consecutive days since June 17. On June 23, withdrawals accounted for 53.8% of transaction activity, the highest level recorded since June 2024.

Meanwhile, deposit transactions fell to 46.1%, marking their lowest reading since 2024. The result is a 7.7 percentage-point gap favoring withdrawals.

It’s important to note that this metric tracks the share of transactions rather than the dollar value of XRP being moved. Even so, the persistence of withdrawal dominance stands out because it reflects a sustained behavioral shift rather than a one-day anomaly.

Why XRP Holders Are Paying AttentionMarkets rarely move on a single catalyst. However, a combination of expanding regulatory legitimacy and consistent withdrawal activity is enough to keep investors watching closely.

The XRP price may not be reflecting that optimism yet, but the latest XRP news suggests that adoption and network behavior are moving in a direction many long-term participants would prefer. Whether that ultimately translates into a stronger trend remains the question traders will be monitoring in the weeks ahead.

XRP po RLUSD posílil a velryby nakupují
AMP Amp BTC Bitcoin ETH Ethereum XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) became the best-performing large-cap cryptocurrency Monday following the launch of Ripple Labs' USD-backed stablecoin RLUSD.

What happened: The payments-focused cryptocurrency rose 3.51% in the last 24 hours, outpacing the returns of Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH).

With the latest push, XRP's monthly gains zoomed to 138%, the biggest among cryptocurrencies in the top 10 by market capitalization.

The rally was likely powered by significant buying interest from whale investors. Noted cryptocurrency analyst Ali Martinez highlighted that whales purchased over 830 million XRP, worth over $2 billion at prevailing market prices.

The readings of moving averages supported the coin’s bullish potential. XRP's price was greater than nearly all of its exponential moving averages and simple moving averages, indicating that investors’ current expectations are higher than their average expectations over the past period.

However, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence indicator, which compares two exponential moving averages, flashed a ‘Sell' signal.

The Bull Bear Power indicator, used for measuring the strength of buyers and sellers in the market, was ‘Neutral" as of this writing.

Moreover. XRP's Open Interest, a measure of its speculative interest, rose 5.26% in the last 24 hours and nearly 450% since Nov. 5, the presidential election day, data from Coinglass revealed.

About 75% of all Binance traders with an open interest were positioned long on the asset, signaling the expectation of further upsides.

Why It Matters: Optimism around XRP was tied to several factors, with the most notable being the launch of RLUSD from Ripple, a payments company that uses XRP for its operations.

Ripple President Monica Long said Monday that the release marked a new chapter for the XRP Ledger, the blockchain technology powering Ripple's operations.

Ripple planned to position RLUSD for a range of financial applications, including instant cross-border settlements, Treasury operations, and integration with decentralized finance protocols.

Furthermore, with SEC Chair Gary Gensler’s tenure coming to an end and being succeeded by cryptocurrency-friendly Paul Atkins, investors feel more confident about XRP.

Ripple has been locked in a nearly four-year-long legal battle with the SEC over the status of XRP, and any change in the agency’s top leadership is viewed with optimism.

Price Action:  At the time of writing, XRP was exchanging hands at $2.49, up 3.65% in the last 24 hours, according to data from Benzinga Pro.

Shiba Inu označil centralizované burzy za manipulativní po delistingu BONE
BONE Bone ShibaSwap FTT FTX Token GT Gate SHIB Shiba Inu WRX WazirX XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
Shiba Inu marketing specialist, Lucie, addresses the FUD surrounding the delisting of Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) from two centralized exchanges.

The Shiba Inu community received disappointing news earlier this week after OKX and ONUS announced plans to delist BONE. While OKX suspended BONE deposits on June 30, ONUS halted BONE purchases and swaps on July 1.

As expected, the delisting of BONE from two centralized exchanges sparked concerns among holders, who saw the value of their BONE holdings plummet massively.

Allegations of Manipulative Delisting Notably, Shiba Inu’s marketing lead took to X to address growing concerns about BONE’s delisting. She described the centralized exchanges as “manipulative.”

According to her, the delisting has nothing to do with BONE’s performance. She asserted that BONE isn’t even among the tokens with the lowest trading volumes on either platform. Lucie emphasized that she would not “chase” exchanges to support Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens.

Lucie Slams Centralized Exchanges She also expressed her belief in decentralized finance (DeFi), noting that the Shiba Inu team has been focused on building within the DeFi space, one that doesn’t require invasive identity checks, including KYC or even, as she sarcastically remarked, “blood samples.”.

Despite the delisting, Lucie emphasized that the team is not backing down and will focus on building out the ecosystem. She further took a swipe at centralized exchanges, claiming they usually list tokens that offer ‘big money.”

According to her, this practice enables them to continue promoting low-effort projects that often disappear within a short time.

Lucie also pointed to the failures of once-prominent centralized exchanges like WazirX, FTX, and Hotbit. Although they appeared solid at first, they were eventually exposed or exploited, serving as cautionary examples against overreliance on centralized platforms.

A Familiar Pattern Furthermore, Lucie noted that other major assets, including SHIB and XRP, have faced similar challenges. In particular, she recalled how several U.S.-based exchanges delisted XRP after the SEC filed a lawsuit against Ripple.

However, these exchanges have since relisted XRP after a federal court ruled that its secondary market sales do not violate federal securities laws.

Currently, BONE is down 18.95% over the past seven days, following its delisting from ONUS and OKX. However, it has recovered some of its losses in the past day, with its price soaring 9.5% to $0.1941.

Meanwhile, BONE remains available for trading on other centralized exchanges, such as Gate.io and HTX, which have seen over $2 million in volume in the past 24 hours.

Flare zvyšuje limit vkladu do Monarq XRP Yield Vault 15násobně
FLR Flare XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
Key Facts Flare is raising the deposit cap on the Monarq XRP Yield Vault (MXRPY) from 500,000 FXRP to 7.5 million FXRP, a 15x increase. The cap raise follows strong early demand since MXRPY’s launch on 15 May 2026 by Monarq Asset Management, Flare and Upshift. MXRPY is a managed multi-strategy vault deploying FXRP across options trading, basis and funding rate arbitrage, and on-chain XRPFi strategies, targeting 3–4% APY. Monarq, the vault’s strategy manager, is a FalconX-majority-owned digital asset manager; the vault runs on Upshift’s institutional vault infrastructure. The cap raise lands days after Flare’s 19 May integration with D’CENT Wallet, which lets XRP holders deposit into MXRPY directly from their hardware wallet using two XRPL signatures via Flare Smart Accounts. Flare is raising the deposit cap on the Monarq XRP Yield Vault (MXRPY) from 500,000 FXRP to 7.5 million FXRP — a 15x increase that reflects unusually strong early demand from XRP holders since the vault launched on 15 May 2026. The expansion comes alongside Flare’s new integration with D’CENT Wallet, which has put the vault within two signatures of hundreds of thousands of hardware wallet users globally.

Why the cap is being raised MXRPY launched with a deliberately conservative initial cap of 500,000 FXRP, giving Monarq Asset Management and infrastructure provider Upshift time to assess flow and validate the vault’s three-strategy execution model in live conditions. The 15x cap raise to 7.5 million FXRP signals that initial demand has comfortably exceeded the launch allocation and that the operating partners are confident the underlying strategy can scale meaningfully.

The expansion also responds to the distribution shift now underway. With XRP holders gaining wallet-native access through D’CENT’s hardware wallet — and additional distribution channels likely to follow through the XRP Alliance — the practical addressable demand for the vault has stepped up sharply over the past two weeks. A 500,000 FXRP cap was never going to be enough to absorb that broader flow.

How MXRPY works MXRPY is a managed multi-strategy yield vault built by Monarq Asset Management on Upshift’s institutional vault infrastructure. It is the first XRP-denominated vault on Flare to combine on-chain DeFi with off-chain execution under a single managed product. Users deposit FXRP — Flare’s trust-minimised representation of XRP — and receive MXRPY receipt tokens representing principal and accrued yield.

Capital is allocated across three return engines: options trading, basis and funding rate arbitrage, and on-chain XRPFi positioning. The target annual yield sits at approximately 3% to 4% APY, with returns distributed over time depending on strategy performance and market conditions. Withdrawals settle on a weekly cycle every Friday, with an option to pay a small fee for instant redemption.

Monarq — majority-owned by FalconX — runs options and basis strategies as part of its core fund book and applies the same playbook to MXRPY, deciding capital allocation across the three sleeves and executing the off-chain trades directly. Flare provides the FXRP infrastructure and distribution; Upshift provides the vault rails.

“The Clearstar EarnXRP vault showed that there is real demand for XRP-denominated vaults on Flare,” said Ethan Luc, head of growth at Upshift, at the MXRPY launch. “Upshift provided the infrastructure behind that launch, and we’re now expanding the model with Monarq, a second XRP vault with a different strategy profile and a broader set of yield sources.”

D’CENT’s distribution role The cap raise is timed to absorb new flow from the 19 May D’CENT integration. Flare Smart Accounts (FSA) now lets D’CENT users deposit XRP into MXRPY directly from their hardware-secured device using just two XRPL signatures, with no new wallet, no new chain, and no FLR gas token to manage. D’CENT reports more than 330,000 hardware users and 720,000+ app users across the US, Korea, UK, Canada and Japan, with billions of XRP held across the base.

The architecture matters because it removes the friction that previously kept XRP holders out of EVM-based DeFi. FSA treats XRPL as the control layer — the memo field on each XRPL transaction encodes what should happen on Flare, and the Flare Data Connector relays a proof of the transaction to a smart contract proxy assigned to that XRPL address. The user never holds FLR, never manages a new seed phrase, and never signs an EVM transaction. Inside D’CENT, the integration appears as a featured application labelled “Idle XRP; Meet Institutional Yield,” with a direct link to the Monarq vault frontend.

The XRP Alliance context D’CENT is the lead wallet partner in the XRP Alliance, a distribution group convened by D’CENT with Flare, Doppler, Banxa and Squid joining at launch. Flare’s role in the Alliance is the programmable layer for XRP — FAssets handles trust-minimised asset representation, FSA handles chain-abstracted execution, and wallet partners handle native distribution. Together the stack is designed to support both retail flows and institutional strategy deployment.

The cap raise lands inside a broader push by Flare to position itself as the default programmable yield layer for XRPFi. Monarq’s decision to pick Flare as the venue for its first publicly distributed multi-strategy XRP vault — and the speed with which that vault has filled — is the institutional validation Flare has been working toward. The 7.5 million FXRP cap signals that next phase: capital rails capable of absorbing genuinely meaningful XRP volume rather than a launch allocation sized for testing.

$55,000 reward campaign continues Flare and D’CENT’s joint promotional campaign continues to run through to 8 June 2026, with a $55,000 reward pool across three independent quests. Quest 3 — the largest, at $40,000 — rewards users who mint FXRP via Flare Smart Accounts, deposit at least $1,000 USD in XRP value into MXRPY, and maintain the position for 30 days. Eligible users earn $10 in XRP and $10 in FLR per $1,000 USD deposited, with per-user caps of $50 in XRP and $100 in FLR.

Quests 1 and 2 cover D’CENT biometric hardware wallet purchase ($50 in XRP, $10,000 pool) and a minimum 250 XRP holding in a D’CENT wallet ($25 in FLR, $5,000 pool). With the vault cap now 15 times larger, the runway for Quest 3 participation has effectively expanded in line with the new capacity.

FAQ How much is the MXRPY deposit cap being raised?
Flare is raising the deposit cap on the Monarq XRP Yield Vault from 500,000 FXRP to 7.5 million FXRP, a 15x increase. The expansion reflects strong early demand from XRP holders since the vault’s 15 May 2026 launch and the new distribution opened up by Flare’s integration with D’CENT Wallet on 19 May.

What is MXRPY and what yield does it target?
MXRPY is a managed multi-strategy XRP yield vault on Flare, built by Monarq Asset Management on Upshift’s institutional vault infrastructure. It deploys FXRP — Flare’s trust-minimised representation of XRP — across options trading, basis and funding rate arbitrage, and on-chain XRPFi strategies, targeting approximately 3% to 4% APY. Withdrawals settle weekly on Fridays, with an option for fee-based instant redemption.

How can XRP holders access the vault?
XRP holders can access MXRPY through Upshift or directly through D’CENT Wallet via Flare Smart Accounts. The D’CENT integration requires only two XRPL signatures from the hardware device, with FXRP minting and vault deposit handled automatically inside the same flow — no new wallet, no new chain, and no FLR gas token required.

The 7.5 million FXRP cap is the most concrete sign yet that XRPFi on Flare is moving past the proving stage into production-scale capital rails. By raising the ceiling in step with the new distribution from D’CENT, Flare and Monarq are betting that meaningful XRP volume is ready to move on-chain when the experience is simple enough — and the early evidence suggests they are right. Flare rozšiřuje využití XRP prostřednictvím FXRP a DeFi
FLR Flare XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
Ripple has highlighted the growing utility of XRP, with Flare co-founder and CEO Hugo Philion explaining how Flare is giving XRP holders access to new use cases.

Speaking on Ripple’s Onchain Economy series, Philion said Flare aims to extend the XRP ecosystem by bringing XRP into a smart contract environment. This allows XRP holders to access decentralized finance (DeFi) applications and other blockchain-based services.

Flare Connects XRP to Smart Contracts Philion described Flare as a Layer-1 network focusing on interoperability and data protocols. One of its key products is FXRP, a bridge that connects the XRP Ledger to the Flare network.

Through FXRP, XRP can be used in smart contract applications. This opens the door to DeFi services that are not available directly on the XRP Ledger.

For example, users can use XRP as collateral, borrow against it, access stablecoins, and interact with tokenized assets. These assets can include commodities such as gold and other real-world assets.

According to Philion, these tools allow XRP holders to do more with their tokens instead of simply holding them.

Given this utility, FXRP has gained wide acceptance in the crypto community. The most recent data show that FXRP has a circulating supply of 155.76 million and a TVL of $186 million.

New Yield Opportunities for XRP Holders Philion also highlighted yield generation as an important use case. Through Flare, users can deposit XRP as collateral to borrow stablecoins. They can then deploy those stablecoins into other markets that offer returns.

This approach allows users to earn yield while still maintaining exposure to their XRP holdings.

Flare has also integrated wallet features that let users manage XRP on Flare directly from the XRP Ledger. Philion said this creates a smoother experience between the two networks.

Privacy May Drive Institutional Adoption Looking ahead, Philion discussed a new initiative called Flare Confidential Compute.

The system operates outside the blockchain and uses trusted execution environments to verify confidential computations. It is designed for applications that require significant computing power, such as AI models and continuous risk-monitoring systems.

Philion believes privacy will be an important requirement for institutional participation in blockchain networks. He previously noted that FXRP surpassed 100 million in supply solely through retail, without institutional participation.

Flare Sees Growth Potential in Tokenized Assets Philion said Flare’s technology significantly expands the capabilities of Ripple and the XRP Ledger, especially in the real-world asset (RWA) sector.

He noted that once RWAs are issued on blockchain networks, Flare’s interoperability and smart contract tools can unlock additional functionality for those assets.

According to Philion, this could become a major growth area for both Flare and the XRP ecosystem as demand for blockchain utility continues to increase.

CoinGecko News 78

Flare CEO Hugo Philion recently appeared on the Onchain Economy, where he explained how Flare is working to expand XRP utility through FXRP.

Commenting, XRP community figure Bank suggested that the Flare co-founder had essentially described what he believes is the “endgame” for XRP holders.

Flare’s Plan to Expand XRP Utility  In the discussion, Philion said his focus is particularly on increasing XRP’s utility through Flare’s work, further encouraging more developers to build new applications around XRP to bring in value.

He explained that Flare adds smart contract capability to the XRP Ledger and improves interoperability between blockchains. According to him, Flare is a Layer 1 network built mainly around data.

$XRP utility is continuously expanding.

On this episode of Onchain Economy, @HugoPhilion, Co-Founder and CEO of @FlareNetworks, explains how Flare is expanding what’s possible for $XRP through interoperability.

— RippleX (@RippleXDev) June 16, 2026

The Flare CEO noted that data infrastructure was the key innovation behind the network, noting that they designed Flare to support better communication and interaction between different systems.

To make this possible, Flare created FXRP, which connects the XRP Ledger to the Flare network. This bridge allows XRP to move into a smart contract environment where it can be used in decentralized applications instead of remaining only on its native ledger.

FXRP and New Uses for XRP in DeFi Philion shared how FXRP generates new financial uses for XRP holders. Notably, once XRP is moved into the Flare ecosystem, users can use it as collateral in lending and borrowing systems. This includes borrowing stablecoins and, in some cases, other assets such as commodities like gold.

He also explained that users can take the borrowed assets and deploy them into other markets that generate yield. This means XRP holders can earn income while still keeping exposure to their original XRP holdings.

Philion added that Flare has also built wallet integrations that let users manage XRP on Flare directly from the XRP Ledger, allowing market participants to move and control assets more smoothly across both systems without giving up custody of their original XRP.

Confidential Computing and Focus on Institutions Speaking further, the Flare CEO also discussed future upgrades, especially Flare Confidential Compute. He called it an extra layer that sits outside the main Flare blockchain but relies on Trusted Execution Environments to confirm what happens inside it.

They designed the system to support heavy applications that blockchains normally struggle with, such as AI models. He also mentioned that Flare is working on continuous AI monitoring and risk tools that can detect problems and respond when needed.

According to him, large institutions will only fully enter decentralized finance if strong privacy features exist. As a result, privacy and secure computation are basic requirements for institutional participation.

Philion further said that Flare increases what Ripple and the XRP Ledger can do with tokenized real-world assets once they are issued on-chain. To him, this creates a major growth area that benefits both Flare and the XRP ecosystem.

FXRP Launch and Early Growth FXRP officially launched on Flare mainnet last September as the first FAsset under version 1.2.

Notably, demand was very strong from the start. The first cap of 5 million FXRP was filled in three hours. After that, the limit was increased to 15 million FXRP, and this second allocation also filled quickly.

Shortly after launch, the Xaman wallet added support for FXRP. This allowed users to mint FXRP directly from XRP Ledger wallets and marked the first stage of Flare’s plan for smoother cross-chain access.

FXRP continued to grow in the months after launch. By late October 2025, about $86.2 million worth of XRP had been bridged after more than 15 million XRP was moved over a single weekend. This pushed Flare to become the largest EVM-based DeFi ecosystem for XRP.

Flare’s liquid staking platform, Firelight, launched its first phase in December 2025. Its initial cap of 25 million FXRP filled quickly, and by around April 2026, staked XRP (stXRP) passed 50 million.

At press time, Flare hosts about 153.8 million XRP worth $180 million in its FXRP ecosystem, with up to $73.43 million staked in Firelight.

XRP Ledger xrpld 3.2.0 hlásí chyby po aktualizaci
CORE Core XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
After the release of version 3.2.0 of the XRP Ledger core server software “xrpld,” the community has noted a number of issues. The update, which was released on June 15, added performance enhancements, memory optimizations, and security improvements. The most important update was that it renamed the server software as “xrpld” from “rippled.”

Developers Report Bugs On XRP Ledger v3.2.0 The XRP Ledger update was supposed to be a performance improvement and a memory reduction. However, it has already caused some problems for some developers and memory usage concerns for some operators in the project’s GitHub repository.

One of the most significant reports was an operator of nodes who reported that “xrpld” version 3.2.0 had failed to sync with the network. The software continues to be in a “connected” server state and would not have downloaded any ledger data even though the same machine was able to sync when using version 3.1.3, the issue report states. The issue was posted on June 18 and is still pending.

Another bug report came in shortly after release saying that configuration files with inline comments might cause the server to crash when it tries to parse them, which was determined to be a “BadLexicalCast” error. The report indicated that it was the legacy configuration parser that did not succeed in removing comments from some areas containing single value, which resulted in unexpected failures.

The GitHub issue tracker also lists some open bug reports on XRP Ledger that were reported within a few days of the release. These include peer communication issues, resource charging rules, message parsing policies, message compression, consensus-related routing rules, and amendment processing. Project maintainers classified many of the issues as bugs and triaged them.

Other Flaws On The Network In addition to the synchronization and configuration parser problems, node operators detected other bugs in the main server software. XRP Ledger developers reported a transaction relay calculation flaw that can cause transactions to be under-relayed to peers.

Moreover, they spotted a resource charging mechanism that only tracks the highest fee and discards previous fees. It also includes a validator list distribution issue, which sends validator information only to inbound peers, excluding outbound peers.

They also flagged risks of unsigned integer overflow during ledger sequence validation. The XRP Ledger members also saw potential inconsistencies in routing flags for transactions and broken nodes’ ID for proposals linked to ephemeral keys.

Further, they highlighted holes in the logic of ledger tracking that can leave nodes in an unknown state for an indefinite period of time. Some of these have been classified as bugs and are still to be reviewed by maintainers.

The reports have come despite hopes that the June 15 upgrade would actually bring some real improvements in performance. Prior to the launch, community conversations had resounded with the expected 30% to 40% memory usage reduction along with other general code optimizations and fixes.

The XRP Ledger Foundation and its contributors are ongoing with reviewing reported issues via the open source development process. There are no reported bugs that cause network-wide disruption as of this writing, and the issue or issues are still being investigated on their project’s GitHub repository. Currently, 26% nodes have been upgraded on the network.

CLARITY Act může trvale uzákonit komoditní status XRP
SNT Status XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 86
Original source text
Table of contents

Quick Answer: XRP is trading at $1.17 on June 18, 2026, down 2.52% as the post-FOMC selloff continues. The defining XRP news this week is legislative: the CLARITY Act cleared the Senate Banking Committee 15-9 in May and has been placed on the Senate floor legislative calendar on June 1 — meaning a full Senate vote can happen at any time. Polymarket prices 2026 passage at 72%. If the bill passes before the July 4 target set by the White House, XRP’s digital commodity status becomes permanent federal law — a classification that no future administration can reverse with a memo. Standard Chartered and JPMorgan both project $4–8 billion in XRP ETF inflows under that scenario, three to six times the $1.44 billion accumulated to date. XRP exchange reserves have fallen to a 7-year low of 1.6 billion tokens. Whale wallets holding 10M+ XRP now control 68.5% of circulating supply — the highest concentration since May 2018.

Key Takeaways

CLARITY Act is on the Senate floor legislative calendar — a full Senate vote can now happen at any time, with the White House targeting July 4 signing The bill cleared Senate Banking Committee 15-9 in May, with all 13 Republicans voting yes after Sen. John Kennedy committed his support — the bipartisan vote was cleaner than feared XRP exchange reserves at a 7-year low of 1.6 billion tokens — 50% below the October 2025 peak of 3.76 billion, compressing available sell-side liquidity to multi-year lows RLUSD reached $1.7B market cap, ranking as the 8th-largest stablecoin globally — Mastercard added RLUSD to its 24/7 settlement network on June 3; Ripple is pursuing a Federal Reserve master account Post-FOMC pressure is the dominant short-term headwind: hawkish dot plot (9 Fed members projecting hike) outweighs XRP-specific positives in the near term — but the structural setup has rarely been this clean XRP Price Today: $1.17, Absorbing FOMC Hawkishness XRP is at $1.17 on June 18, down 2.52% with a market cap of $73.02 billion and 24-hour volume of $1.91 billion — up 14%. Of the 100 billion maximum supply, 62.05 billion circulate across 535,830 holders. Fully diluted valuation is $117.68 billion.

Today’s move is entirely macro-driven. Yesterday’s FOMC dot plot — 9 of 18 members projecting a rate hike by year-end, PCE revised to 3.6% — reset rate expectations across all risk assets. XRP is not immune to that. But what separates XRP from most assets in the current environment is the independence of its primary catalyst: the CLARITY Act moves on legislative, not monetary, logic.

The SEC case against Ripple concluded in August 2025 with a joint dismissal of appeals, confirming XRP is not a security when sold on public exchanges. Ripple paid a reduced $50 million penalty with $75 million returned as part of the settlement. Both the SEC and CFTC currently view XRP as a digital commodity, but that classification has not been written into law. An executive agency classification can be reversed by the next administration with a memo. A statute cannot. The CLARITY Act changes that permanently.

Key levels:

Resistance: $1.20 (psychological), then $1.28–$1.30 (June 15 high) Support: $1.10 (critical), then $1.00 (psychological floor) The CLARITY Act: Where It Stands Right Now The CLARITY Act was officially added to the Senate legislative calendar on June 1, after clearing the Senate Banking Committee. The next step is a full Senate vote, after which it will be sent to President Trump for signing.

The CLARITY Act passed the House 294 to 134 and cleared the Senate Banking Committee 15 to 9. The Senate floor vote is the decisive gate. The bill needs 60 votes to clear the filibuster — meaning at least 7 Democrats must cross over. The committee vote passed 15-9 with some bipartisan support, which is the baseline Democrats need to replicate on the floor.

Why 60 votes matters: The Senate has 53 Republicans. A 60-vote threshold requires 7 Democrats. The senators to watch are Warner and Cortez Masto — those votes are the hardest part of getting to 60. The Reed stablecoin amendment that nearly derailed the committee markup was defeated, keeping the bipartisan compromise language intact — a positive signal for floor vote prospects.

Prediction markets have priced 2026 signing odds around 72%. The White House has set a July 4 signing target. Senate floor time between now and July 4 is limited — the bill needs to be scheduled and voted before the Independence Day recess.

What passage does for XRP specifically: A clear commodity classification removes listing hesitancy. Exchanges that stayed cautious during the legal fight could deepen XRP support, tightening spreads and improving liquidity. Institutions need regulatory certainty before allocating. Clear rules strengthen the case for more XRP ETF products and larger inflows, building on the spot ETFs already live.

The Supply Story: Exchange Reserves at 7-Year Lows XRP exchange reserves fell to a 7-year low of 1.6 billion tokens this year, a 50% drop from October 2025’s 3.76 billion peak, compressing sell-side liquidity to multi-year lows.

This is one of the most consequential structural developments for XRP’s price setup. When exchange reserves fall this sharply, the coins leaving exchanges are going to private custody — not being sold. The implication: the supply available for large sell orders on exchanges is structurally thinner than at any point in seven years.

The number of wallets holding 10,000 or more XRP has hit an all-time high of 332,230. The millionaire tier — wallets holding over one million XRP — added 42 new addresses since January and accumulated 1.2 billion tokens in Q1 alone, the heaviest quarterly accumulation since 2023. Mega whale wallets holding 10 million or more XRP now control approximately 45.83 billion tokens, representing 68.5% of circulating supply — the highest concentration since May 2018.

The mechanism: when 68.5% of supply is controlled by conviction holders who are actively accumulating, and exchange reserves are at 7-year lows, even moderate institutional buying pressure produces outsized price moves. The float is thin. The buyers are patient. The catalyst — CLARITY Act — is binary and approaching.

RLUSD and ODL: The Utility Case Strengthening Independently While the CLARITY Act is the legislative catalyst, Ripple’s on-chain infrastructure has been strengthening independently in June 2026.

RLUSD has grown to approximately $1.7 billion in market cap, ranking as the eighth-largest stablecoin globally and live across more than 40 networks. On June 3, Mastercard added RLUSD to its 24/7 on-chain settlement network alongside USDC and PYUSD.

Ripple is also pursuing a Federal Reserve master account, a process currently paused until end of 2026. A Fed master account would allow Ripple to settle transactions directly with the Federal Reserve’s payment system — removing commercial bank intermediaries and dramatically reducing the cost of ODL corridor transactions. It is potentially the most significant operational milestone in Ripple’s history, but it is a 2027 story at the earliest.

Ripple, JPMorgan, Mastercard, and Ondo Finance completed a live cross-border tokenized US Treasury settlement on the XRP Ledger that finalized in under five seconds. This is not speculative — it is a completed transaction by the largest financial institutions in the world, settling real assets on Ripple’s infrastructure. The XRPL’s real-world asset capabilities are being validated in production, not just theory.

Price Scenarios: What CLARITY Act Means in Dollar Terms From around $1.17 where XRP trades now, the key scenarios are: a failed Senate vote points back toward the $0.80–$1.00 range; passage near the recess supports a re-rating to $1.60–$2.20; and passage plus renewed ETF inflows and a softer Fed opens up the $2.50–$3.50 price range.

Standard Chartered projected $4 billion to $8 billion in cumulative XRP ETF inflows by year-end if the bill passes. With flows of such volume, XRP would most likely break the current resistance, retest its 200-day moving average at $1.80, and have the runway to push toward higher targets like $3–5 by late 2026.

The bear case: If Tim Scott doesn’t schedule the markup before Memorial Day recess on May 21, or if the markup happens but Republicans can’t unify the committee vote, the bill will most likely be shelved until 2030. That deadline has now passed — the committee vote cleared 15-9. The next hard deadline is the July 4 recess. If the Senate floor vote does not happen before July 4, the next viable legislative window is after the November 2026 midterms.

For context on the current macro environment affecting all crypto assets, see our daily market update for June 18.

ETF Flows: $1.44 Billion, UBS and Bank of America Positioned US spot XRP ETFs have accumulated $1.44 billion in cumulative net inflows since their November 2025 launch across seven products. May 2026 was the strongest single month with $132 million. UBS and Bank of America took first-time XRP ETF stakes in May — the first tier-1 global banks to allocate directly to XRP products. Goldman Sachs allocated $154 million in Q1 2026.

Some of that CLARITY Act move may already be in the price, because the market has watched this bill advance for months. So the real question is not whether clarity helps XRP, but how much of the waiting money actually moves once the bill is law, and how much already has.

The honest assessment: the ETF bid is real and growing. The question of how much is already priced is legitimate. What is not priced is the pension fund and sovereign wealth fund allocation tier — those institutional buyers legally cannot allocate under agency guidance. They need a statute. The CLARITY Act is that statute.

CoinGecko News 78

Some of the most popular companies in the cryptoeconomy have banded together to create an organization that will assess and rate top cryptocurrency projects on the likelihood of these projects being securities per U.S. federal securities laws.

That organization, the Crypto Rating Council (CRC), counts exchange operators like Bittrex, Coinbase, Kraken, and Poloniex-backers Circle among its first members, as well as the firms of Anchorage, DRW Cumberland, Genesis, and Grayscale Investments.

So why the need for such a body?

The so-called Howey Test, which is a test devised by the U.S. Supreme Court to determine if a given asset is a security, commonly leads to “judgment calls, inconsistent results, and … disagreement among legal experts,” the CRC said on the Frequently Asked Questions section of its new website.

Accordingly, the organization’s rating system — which runs from 1 to 5, with 5 indicating an asset bears the hallmarks of a security and 1 meaning the opposite — is being hailed by members as a “compliance tool” that will help bring consistency to their respective asset review processes.

Founded by prominent companies across the crypto industry, our mission is to lead crypto financial services firms committed to practical compliance with the U.S. securities laws. We are the Crypto Rating Council, and we launched today: https://t.co/FbdwfSZN9D

— Crypto Rating Council (@CRC_Crypto) September 30, 2019

“The CRC will publish a simple rating for most assets it reviews to indicate the results of its analysis as a reference for operators, developers, and the public,” the organization said.

With that said, the ratings are utterly non-binding and have been made without involvement from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). So, while clarity is the professed goal, the only thing the CRC has ultimately made more clear is what its members think about the legal status of top cryptocurrencies in America.

“The score does not reflect a legal conclusion and is no indication of qualitative value of an asset or suitability for investment or any other purpose,” the CRC said of its ratings.

How the First Scores Look Don’t expect any surprises when it comes to bitcoin (BTC). The oldest cryptocurrency, which has long been held up by various stakeholders as a standard for decentralized projects, received a 1 rating from the CRC.

Other projects the body deemed to have “few or no characteristics consistent with treatment as a security” included DeFi’s darling Dai stablecoin, the popular Monero (XMR) privacy cryptocurrency, and Litecoin (LTC).

The 2 rating was given to the next rung of projects that the CRC deemed to seem mostly decentralized according to its framework. These projects included Ethereum (ETH), Zcash (ZEC), Numeraire (NMR), ChainLink (LINK), and the fledgling proof-of-stake project Algorand (ALGO).

Getting on up there according to the group were projects like Augur (3.75), EOS (3.75), Stellar (3.75), Tezos (3.75), and XRP (4). The highest inaugural scores were given to Polymath (4.5) and Maker (4.5).

Notably, the SEC announced just hours after these ratings were released that Block.one, the team behind the EOS launch, had settled charges and would pay a $24 million civil penalty for its year-long ICO being an unregistered security offering.

The Commission said the securities status only applied to the “IOU” ERC20 token that was issued during the sale rather than the current EOS cryptocurrency, which lives on EOS now rather than Ethereum.

Are Exchanges Listing Securities? One question that immediately started buzzing through the ecosystem on the heels of the announcement of the CRC was why would exchanges like Coinbase take chances on assets like XRP that appear to bear considerable resemblances to a security in the U.S.?

One possibility is that the group’s members consider “security status is binary,” according to Jake Chervinsky, the General Counsel of DeFi lending project Compound Finance. In other words, anything less than a 5 rating would be fair game accordingly.

My best guess: they'd say security status is binary and as a matter of law it doesn't make a difference how close a token comes to being a security if it's ultimately not one.

On that logic, though, query the value of publishing the five-point score in the first place.

— Jake Chervinsky (@jchervinsky) September 30, 2019

But even if the already rated cryptocurrencies later end up being cleared as “not securities” per the SEC, the CRC rating system can lead to future conflicts of interest, e.g. member exchanges being charitable in their ratings because they stand to gain from trade volume.

In my opinion, this rating system creates a massive conflict of interest. All of the companies that joined this consortium are massively incentivized to rate the vast majority of tokens as non-securities. Coinbase listed some very questionable tokens including XRP, Tezos, EOS

— Larry Cermak (@lawmaster) September 30, 2019

But there’s a silver lining here, according to Blockchain chief executive officer and president Marco Santori. In a Twitter thread on the CRC announcement, Santori said the effort was suspect in some ways but was also a positive attempt at self-regulation in an industry that needs more regulatory clarity in general.

8/ So why on earth would they publish this? Why on earth should we applaud their effort?

Well, actually we should.

As an industry, this stuff is basically the best we've got.

THAT'S RIGHT ITS A TWIST

wait hear me out.

Enosys spouští stablecoinové půjčky kryté XRP na Flare
FLR Flare LQTY Liquity XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
Enosys’ Liquity will enable XRP holders to mint overcollateralized stablecoins on Flare, with mechanisms to ensure the assets maintain values close to $1.

The Web3 software development entity Enosys has introduced a new type of stablecoin loan to the interoperability layer-1 network, Flare. These loans are backed by Ripple’s native cryptocurrency, XRP.

According to a press release sent to CryptoPotato, a Collateralized Debt Position (CDP) protocol will power the loans. It will allow XRP holders to mint overcollateralized stablecoins on Flare.

First XRP-backed Stablecoin Loans on Flare Enosys explained that the XRP holdings will back the stablecoins, ensuring they maintain a value close to $1. Through this approach, XRP holders can access the value of their assets without having to sell them.

The CDP protocol to be deployed on Flare is called Liquity. Enosys claims Liquity is one of the most tried and trusted protocols in the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector. Since its launch in 2021, the network has secured billions of dollars in collateral and kept its stablecoin peg amid extreme market conditions.

One mechanism at the core of Liquity’s success is the protocol’s stability pool. The pool allows users to stake their stablecoins for yield coming from mint fees, liquidation rewards, and interests paid on loans. This mechanism makes sure the protocol can cover outstanding debt in the event of liquidation.

Enosys will release a fork of Liquity V2 on Flare, maintaining the features that made the first version trusted. The only changes made will be upgrades like protocol-incentivized liquidity, capital efficiency, and user-set borrowing rates.

Access to DeFi Yield Opportunities The alliance between Enosys and Flare will affect a select Flare-native tokens for now. They include Flare XRP (FXRP) and Wrapped Flare (wFLR). The companies intend to expand the capabilities to staked XRP (stXRP) soon, allowing Ripple holders to put their assets to work.

While borrowers can set the annual percentage rate (APR) they’re willing to pay, lower rates come with a price. If the stablecoin falls below its $1 peg, loans with the lowest interest rates will be redeemed first.

“This is just the beginning. By bringing a proven model like Liquity V2 to Flare, we’re laying the foundation for stable, decentralized liquidity powered by XRP and enhanced by liquid staking,” the Enosys team stated.

Meanwhile, Enosys Loans will also be utilizing data from the Flare Time Series Oracle (FTSO) to implement decentralized collateral pricing.

Flare přidává XRP na Songbird pro DeFi
FLR Flare SGB Songbird XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
During the previous month, the value of Flare’s native currency, FLR, has increased by more than 165%. By including XRP as an FAsset on its Songbird testnet, the Flare network will be able to include smart functionality. An airdrop reward pool consisting of $260,000 in rFLR is being offered in order to encourage the adoption of Songbird. In preparation for the launch of the mainnet, the blockchain network Flare, which was designed specifically for data, has added XRP to the FAssets on its canary network Songbird.

FAssets is a new development by Flare that offers smart-contract capabilities for blockchains like XRP, BTC, and DOGE, which do not support smart contracts. By including XRP as an FAsset on its Songbird testnet, the Flare network will be able to include smart functionality, which will enable it to demonstrate greater DeFi capabilities.

I want Flare to provide a similar service to XRP that Babylon provides for Bitcoin. I will personally pay a grant of $500k in FLR to a group that builds a fully fledged staking service for XRP on Flare (through FXRP) using Flare’s FDC to slash stake. The purpose would be to allow…

— Hugo Philion ☀️ (@HugoPhilion) December 2, 2024 The innovative bridging method that will be used for this integration is now being tested on Songbird prior to the functionality being rolled out on Flare mainnet. Once it is released, FAssets will make it possible to create robust apps that provide improved capabilities to standard crypto assets. This will be a new door that will open.

The Flare team is of the opinion that FAssets have the potential to revolutionize the way that crypto assets such as XRP and BTC are used within the ecosystem of decentralized finance. In order to offer these tokens with the same usefulness as native smart-contract assets, Flare intends to create a decentralized system that will allow for the minting, trading, and redemption of bridged assets.

An airdrop reward pool consisting of $260,000 in rFLR is being offered by the team in order to encourage the adoption of Songbird. This reward pool will serve as an incentive for agents and collateral pool participants. It is possible to get these rewards by putting the minting, redeeming, and trading processes to the test.

Audits are now being performed on these integrations, and the findings are anticipated to be available by the middle of December.

Whopping 165% increase in Flare during the previous month During the previous month, the value of Flare’s native currency, FLR, has increased by more than 165% in anticipation of the debut of FAsset. It is the 79th biggest cryptocurrency asset, with a market valuation of $1.72 billion and $3.35 of FDV.

As of right now, the price of FLR is hovering around to the $0.033 level, and the 24 hour trading volume for the cryptocurrency is $45.16 million, as per data from Coinmarketcap. FLR reached its all-time high price of $0.0797 on January 10, 2023, marking the day it was driven by bulls.

In the event that the launch of FAssets and the dynamics of the market are favorable, FLR may come back to its prior price gains and come close to breaking to a new all-time high rate. It is anticipated that the next Altseason will bring about a significant increase in the value of a variety of low and mid cap altcoins, including FLR.

Coreum chystá bridge pro XRPL a XRP do AMM poolů
SOLO Sologenic XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
Coreum has announced plans to launch its XRP Ledger (XRPL) cross-chain bridge, which could allow users to move assets between Coreum and the XRPL and potentially leverage the AMM on Coreum.

Bob Ras, the co-founder of Coreum and Sologenic, shared this information in a post on X last night. He disclosed that the XRPL cross-chain bridge from Coreum is on the verge of being operational. This development will enable effortless transfers of all issued assets between the two networks.

It bears mentioning that Coreum already launched its bridge to the XRPL in the fourth quarter of 2022. However, this bridge only allows the transfer of COREUM tokens from the XRPL to the Coreum blockchain. By the end of last year, users had bridged 37 million COREUM.

The upcoming development is set to expand this capability by also allowing the bridging of all assets from Coreum to the XRPL and vice versa. In a disclosure last December, the Sologenic team teased upcoming advancements to the bridge, including multi-asset support and bigger interoperability capabilities.

According to Bob Ras, with these advancements, assets issued on the XRP Ledger will also benefit from Coreum’s smart token technology. The smart token technology allows users and businesses to issue assets on Coreum with in-built smart contracts functionality.

XRPL Users Could Leverage the Coreum AMM In addition to this benefit, Ras emphasized that the upcoming bridge functionality will also create an opportunity for assets issued on the XRPL, including XRP, to engage actively in AMM pools on Coreum.

Bob Ras called on builders on Coreum to help facilitate this. In particular, the Coreum co-founder beckoned on Pulsara, a Coreum-based ecosystem featuring an exchange and a token manager, among other services, and Whelp, a fast-growing Coreum-based DeFi hub.

According to Ras, these two entities could try developing a UI for the bridge and launch new pools featuring Coreum-based and XRPL-based tokens so users from both ecosystems can leverage the AMM on Coreum. He highlighted token pairs such as XRP/Coreum, SOLO/XRP, SOLO/Coreum, XRP/USDC, and SOLO/USDC.

Notably, the XRP Ledger is also looking to welcome its native automated market maker (AMM), with the XLS-30D amendment set to be implemented on Feb. 14. The amendment has already reached the minimum consensus threshold.

Notably, the upcoming advancements to the Coreum bridge and the imminent implementation of the XLS-30D amendment could allow XRPL users to earn passive income with AMMs in both ecosystems.

The volume of XRP bridged by market participants to the Coreum network has surged by 2,703%, reaching 1.6 million tokens within a span of two weeks.

Since the launch of the Coreum blockchain last March, the team behind the project has continued to make efforts toward interoperability with other chains. The latest effort involved the introduction of a two-way bridge between Coreum and the XRP Ledger (XRPL).

Data indicates that the bridge, which facilitates seamless movement of XRP and other assets between the XRPL and Coreum, has continued to garner attention from network participants. This has resulted in the Coreum ecosystem welcoming over 1 million XRP tokens.

It bears mentioning that the bridge functionality went live on March 12, but access was limited. However, The Crypto Basic reported that the number of XRP holders on Coreum spiked 2,287% to 191 on March 22, with the total number of bridged XRP tokens sitting at 57,191, two days after the public launch of the bridge on March 20.

Coreum Now Home to 1.6M+ XRP Since then, network participants have continued to leverage the bridge, with the Sologenic team confirming in a recent post that the amount of XRP tokens on Coreum has crossed the 1,600,000 million mark.

Over 1,600,000+ $XRP are living on the @cosmos ecosystem using the XRPL Coreum Bridge.

The latest data from Coreum’s official blockchain explorer indicates that the Coreum ecosystem is now home to exactly 1,603,209 XRP tokens. This figure represents an impressive 2,703% increase in XRP tokens domiciled on the network since March 22.

XRP Tokens on Coreum | Coreum Explorer Notably, these 1.6 million XRP tokens are held by 464 addresses on Coreum, with the total number of holders representing a 142% increase from the figure recorded during the previous report. Interestingly, nearly 1.2 million of the 1.6 million XRP is in liquidity pools on Coreum-based DEX Pulsara.

And close to 1.2 million of that $XRP is in Liquidity Pools in #PulsaraDAX, generating rewards! #SARA #DAX https://t.co/CrRrH6E4dP

— Pulsara (@pulsara_io) April 9, 2024

An Imminent Supply Shock?  The recent disclosure has sparked reactions from the XRP community, as the movement of XRP tokens to Coreum could help take off more tokens from the market. For context, when a user bridges XRP to Coreum, the actual XRPL-based XRP tokens are locked in the bridge contract.

The bridge then mints an equivalent of the XRP tokens on Coreum. Despite receiving the equivalent of XRP on Coreum, market participants would not be holding their XRPL-based XRP. This phenomenon keeps the XRPL-based XRP locked in the bridge contract, keeping them from the market and reducing supply.

Media personality Zach Rector called attention to this in a response to Coreum’s disclosure. He stressed that his previous projection of an imminent XRP supply shock could materialize. According to him, this would occur with more bridges and increased XRP burns as adoption leads to a rise in on-chain activity.

Wow! Y’all that I was playing when I said there would be an #XRP Supply Shock!
This is just the start of bridges, DeFi and XRP being locked up! Also, as activity picks up, more XRP is being BURNED! 🔥 https://t.co/hr3wQf0qjS

— Zach Rector (@ZachRector7) April 9, 2024

Interestingly, several XRP community figures, including Ghostpunch Games’ Chad Steingraber, previously expressed similar sentiments regarding a looming supply shock for XRP.

An asset tokenization altcoin is surging after announcing a new partnership with a broker-dealer registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Earlier this week, asset tokenization platform Sologenic (SOLO) announced a partnership with Texture Capital, a US-based broker-dealer that specializes in blockchain technology and digital assets.

[adinserter block="1"]

News of the collaboration served as a catalyst for the platform’s native asset, SOLO, to skyrocket from a price of $0.29 on November 21st to a price of $0.83. It has since stabilized and is trading for $0.77 at time of writing, an increase of over 110% during the last 24 hours.

Together, Sologenic and Texture Capital will roll out SoloTex, a trading platform approved by FINRA (The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) that lets blue-chip investors tokenize securities. However, no specific date was provided for its launch.

“Solotex is currently under development. Upon regulatory approval and launch, the platform aims to transform global markets by offering access to tokenized assets…

Together, both teams are leveraging a collective expertise in blockchain development, regulatory compliance, and financial markets infrastructure to build a comprehensive platform that will aim to facilitate access to tokenized financial assets.”

Sologenic launched in 2019 as a decentralized exchange (DEX) platform built on the XRP Ledger that allowed investors to tokenize and trade stocks. It went on to incorporate crypto assets and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Ripple chief legal officer Stuart Alderoty says the recent filing by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in its case against Ripple Labs does not appeal the ruling that XRP is not a security.

Alderoty’s comments follow an Oct. 16 Form C filing by the SEC with a pre-judgement statement against certain aspects of the court’s summary judgment.

Alderoty Says Court Decision Regarding XRP’s Security Status “Stands As The Law Of The Land” Ripple defense attorney James Filan shared the filing on Oct. 17. In their appeal, the SEC asks the court to review its decisions related to Ripple’s XRP sales through exchange platforms. It also requests the court to review the ruling on the personal sales executed by Ripple executives Brad Garlinghouse and Chris Larsen.

The SEC went on to argue that Larsen and Galinghouse violated securities laws by offering and selling XRP. It also said that they both “aided and abetted Ripple’s violations of those provisions.”

Alderoty responded to the SEC’s request by saying that the court’s decision regarding XRP’s security status “stands as the law of the land.” He added that the fintech firm intends to file its own Form C next week.

No surprises here — once again it’s been made clear. The Court’s ruling that “XRP is not a security” is NOT being appealed. That decision stands as the law of the land.

Stay tuned for Ripple’s Form C to be filed next week. https://t.co/m9molUGSBv

— Stuart Alderoty (@s_alderoty) October 18, 2024

SEC Ripple Case Expected To Continue Through July 2025 According to a timeline shared by Fox Business producer Eleanor Terret on X, the Ripple SEC case could carry on well into July next year. After Ripple files its own Form C next week, both the regulator and Ripple Labs will need to “agree on a briefing schedule.”

🚨NEW: Just had a great chat with @s_alderoty of @Ripple who gave me a rundown of the appeals timeline.

📌The @SECGov’s last day to file Form C (which will give some level of detail about what it plans to appeal) is tomorrow.

📌Seven days later, Ripple will file its own Form…

— Eleanor Terrett (@EleanorTerrett) October 15, 2024

Thereafter, the SEC will have up to 90 days to file its first brief according to Terrett, who cited Alderoty. She added that Alderoty believes the regulator will take advantage of this period, and try to only make its filing at the end of the 90 days. Thereafter, the full briefing process “will go through July 2025,” according to the Ripple legal chief.

RLUSD vstupuje do ekosystému Cardana přes Wanchain

CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin is now available in the Cardano ecosystem through an integration by the cross-chain bridge Wanchain. This development comes amid the Cardano ecosystem’s plans to integrate more stablecoins on the network, while Ripple is also eyeing expansion of its stablecoin beyond the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and Ethereum.

Ripple’s RLUSD Now Available On The Cardano Network In an X post, Wanchain revealed that its cross-chain bridge now supports the RLUSD stablecoin. With the integration, users will be able to bridge the stablecoin directly from the XRPL network to the Cardano network. Furthermore, they can bridge the stablecoin from Ethereum to Cardano.

Additionally, users can bridge Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin on XRPL or Ethereum to Wanchain and then route it from the bridge to the Cardano network. The bridge also enables bridging from the XRPL to the top Layer-1 network, Ethereum.

It is worth noting that RLUSD is currently issued natively only on the XRPL and Ethereum networks. However, Ripple announced plans last year to expand the stablecoin to Ethereum layer-2 networks, including Base, Optimism, Unichain, and Ink. The firm also noted that testing on these chains will begin in partnership with Wormhole.

RLUSD currently ranks as the 8th largest stablecoin, with a market cap of $1.5 billion. Most of the stablecoin’s supply currently sits on the Ethereum network, while 382 million tokens are in circulation on the XRP Ledger.

Boost For Cardano’s Ecosystem Ripple’s RLUSD becomes the second tier-1 stablecoin available to Cardano users, following USDC’s launch on the network earlier this year. It is worth noting that Cardano’s stablecoin market cap has climbed to $50 million following the launch of USDC.

The network’s DeFi TVL had also climbed when USDC launched on the network and could rise again, with network users now able to access RLUSD through the cross-chain bridge. Interestingly, Cardano’s founder, Charles Hoskinson, has long teased plans to integrate RLUSD natively into the network, though that has yet to happen.

Meanwhile, amid RLUSD gaining access to the Cardano ecosystem, Cardano stakeholder Input Output has put nine proposals forward in a bid to scale the network. Notably, none of them focuses on stablecoin integrations, with the highlight being the Leios upgrade, which developers aim to use to scale the network to 27 million monthly transactions by 2030.

Ripple failed to dismiss the lawsuit alleging XRP tokens are unregistered securities. The action could “upend and threaten to destroy the established XRP market,” said the motion.

Ripple Fights Lawsuit Over XRP In early August 2019, a complaint was filed against Ripple arguing that its XRP tokens are unregistered securities under U.S. law. The filing represented an update to a lawsuit filed against the San Francisco-based startup in May 2018.

The complaint argues that Ripple violated California’s securities laws and engaged in false advertising and unfair competition. Ripple allegedly blurred differences between its enterprise solutions and XRP to further drive demand. The startup even paid exchanges to list the token.

Additionally, Ripple reportedly limited the supply of XRP to drive price appreciation and made false statements, claiming that the digital asset is not a security.

While the plaintiff demanded XRP to be recognized as a security and compensation for incurred losses, Ripple filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit in September 2019, claiming the case was not brought forward in a timely manner.

Now, a court document filed on February 26 reveals that Judge Phyllis Hamilton of the Court of the Northern District of California dismissed Ripple’s claims that the plaintiff failed to act in a timely manner.

That said, Hamilton also recognized that the company did not violate California state law. As a result, claims of false advertising were dismissed as well as claims of personal liability against Ripple’s CEO Brad Garlinghouse.

XRP Could Be Deemed a Security Since the case remains open and the plaintiff can amend the complaint, Ripple believes that moving forward with it could “destroy the established XRP market.”

“Were Plaintiff allowed to belatedly challenge the classification of XRP, it would not only threaten to eliminate XRP’s utility as a currency, but it would upend and threaten to destroy the established XRP market more broadly […] potentially wiping out the value held by the alleged thousands of individual XRP holders around the world,” read the motion to dismiss.

Ripple fears that XRP would experience something similar to what happened to other cryptocurrencies after the SEC sought enforcement action.

In early June 2019, for instance, the SEC sued Kik for conducting an illegal $100 million initial coin offering. The Commission sought a permanent injunction, disgorgement plus interest, and a penalty. Following the charges, the price of KIN collapsed nearly 90%.

A similar market reaction occurred to Veritaseum after the SEC filed a complaint against its CEO Reginald Middleton for conducting an unregistered ICO. VERI token plummeted nearly 60% after the enforcement action.

Even though the legality of XRP remains uncertain, it seems to stands out as a potential security under U.S. regulations, according to the Crypto Rating Council. The organization maintains that XRP was initially sold without clear utility and was marketed with “securities-like language.” Within CRC’s assessment, the token has many “characteristics strongly consistent with treatment as a security.”

Many industry leaders believe that the SEC would have taken action by now if it thought XRP was a security. However, fintech lawyer Jake Chervinsky maintains that the regulatory agency’s enforcement “moves slowly under the best of circumstances” and may be on hold until the lawsuit “wraps up.”

Ripple spustil RLUSD v Turecku, kapitalizace stablecoinu dosáhla 1,88 miliardy USD

CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
Ripple has taken a bold step in its global expansion strategy by launching its US dollar-backed stablecoin, RLUSD, for Turkish users. Through new strategic partnerships with local crypto platforms BiLira, Bitexen, and Bitlo, Ripple is making the stablecoin directly accessible to Turkey’s dynamic institutional finance ecosystem—a market already noted for its high crypto adoption rates.

Corporate access in Turkey expandsTurkey’s unique position bridging Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia, coupled with high levels of inflation and currency volatility, has made digital assets particularly attractive to both individuals and businesses. Crypto adoption goes well beyond just a hedge against value loss—digital currencies are now widely used in cross-border transactions and payments. The nation’s annual crypto transaction volume is estimated to be around $200 billion, highlighting the size and activity of the Turkish crypto market.

Ripple, based in the United States, has built a reputation for delivering innovative blockchain-powered payment and digital asset solutions. Its corporate-grade, compliance-focused RLUSD stablecoin was designed to offer transparent, dollar-pegged liquidity within regulatory frameworks. Launched in 2024, RLUSD’s market capitalization recently reached an all-time high of $1.88 billion, underlining surging demand.

Sinan Koç, co-founder of BiLira, emphasized that their collaboration with Ripple reflects a shared commitment to regulatory compliance, describing RLUSD as a strong asset for clients entering a new era in finance.

A new channel for payments and tradeBy leveraging the distribution capabilities of BiLira, Bitexen, and Bitlo, RLUSD has become far more accessible to Turkish institutional users. This logistical leap means firms active in international trade, remittance, and digital payments can now tap into RLUSD liquidity—sidestepping traditional, slow, and often costly cross-border banking protocols. The enhanced access is expected to speed up settlements and simplify liquidity management, a significant draw for finance teams.

HeadlineDescriptionNew partnersBiLira, Bitexen, BitloRLUSD launch year2024RLUSD market cap peak$1.88 billionTurkey annual crypto trading volumeApprox. $200 billionAcademic engagement broadens local footprintRipple’s plans for Turkey extend beyond market access. Istanbul Technical University, one of the country’s leading academic institutions, has joined Ripple’s University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI). The partnership is set to fund research programs, graduate scholarships, and the implementation of an on-campus XRP Ledger validator, marking a significant move towards building blockchain expertise in Turkey’s academic circles.

Mini Glossary: UBRI is Ripple’s global academic research initiative partnering with universities. An XRP Ledger validator helps verify transactions and maintain the integrity of the blockchain ledger.

Ripple’s expansion in Turkey is not only about geographical growth, the company also aims to establish a regulatory-compliant digital dollar infrastructure in markets with high crypto adoption, according to statements in the news.

With these new collaborations, Ripple is solidifying its presence in Turkey, gaining visibility in both the corporate sector and academic environments. The growing synergy between active blockchain infrastructure and Turkey’s vibrant talent pool could lay the foundation for next-generation digital finance systems in the country.

Industry experts view these developments as pivotal, especially as international companies and local players seek safer, faster, and more accessible stablecoin solutions. The focus on compliance and clarity is expected to boost institutional trust, spurring further adoption of digital dollar alternatives in the region.

In the context of economic uncertainty and rapid technological transformation, Ripple’s expansion arrives at a time when Turkish companies are increasingly prioritizing efficient capital movement and risk management. RLUSD’s design, emphasizing transparency and regulatory fit, addresses those exact needs.

Market observers note that Turkey could soon become a model for other emerging markets, where high inflation and volatile currencies drive demand for stable digital solutions. By investing in research as well as infrastructure, Ripple is betting on sustainable, long-term growth in the region.

The rollout of RLUSD, supported by crucial local partners and academic backing, positions Ripple at the forefront of a new wave of institutional digital finance in Turkey, potentially reshaping the landscape for years to come.

Ripple tokenizuje diamanty za 280 milionů USD
DMD Diamond XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
The Diamond Tokenization SetupBilliton Diamond and Ctrl Alt moved over AED 1 billion ($280 million) worth of certified polished diamonds on-chain in the UAE.

Ripple’s enterprise custody tools secure the physical diamonds, while the XRP Ledger creates digital tokens representing ownership.

Adding to its infrastructure push, Ripple secured full Electronic Money Institution approval from Luxembourg’s financial regulator last week, pushing its global regulatory approvals beyond 75.

This follows recent UK approvals, reinforcing Ripple’s position as one of the most heavily licensed crypto firms.

The Regulatory RoadblockThe broader platform launch requires approval from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA).

Until then, the $280 million represents a controlled pilot rather than an open marketplace.

Critical details remain unclear.

The companies did not explain how someone holding a diamond token would redeem it for the physical stone, what the minimum purchase size would be, or how individual stones get priced—all essential for real trading.

Dubai’s DMCC coordinated the project as the emirate positions itself as a hub for tokenizing real-world assets like commodities and luxury goods.

The Trading ChallengeCreating blockchain tokens for diamonds is the easy part.

The harder challenge is building a marketplace where these tokens actually trade with reliable prices and smooth redemptions.

Each diamond is unique, with individual characteristics affecting value—cut, clarity, color, and carat weight.

This makes pricing more complex than tokenizing gold or oil, where units are identical and fungible.

The companies acknowledged this hurdle, mentioning a longer development timeline for features like custody transfers and secondary-market trading.

However, without concrete plans for redemption mechanics and pricing, questions remain about moving beyond the pilot phase.

XRP Ledger hlásí růst převodů stablecoinů o 22,84 %
ONDO Ondo XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
Data from rwa.xyz shows that stablecoin transfer activity on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) has reached $5.11 billion over the past 30 days.

Notably, this represents a 22.84% increase compared to the previous month. The rise points to stronger on-chain liquidity and also suggests growing use of tokenized cash-like assets across the XRPL ecosystem.

Ondo Fund Becomes Second-Largest Tokenized Asset on XRPL The same dataset indicates that the Ondo Short-Term U.S. Government Bond Fund is now the second-largest tokenized fund on XRPL.

It is only behind RLUSD-related flows in size and activity. The fund recorded about $259.6 million in transfers during the period, signaling rising institutional interest in on-chain tokenized U.S. Treasury exposure.

Source: https://app.rwa.xyz/networks/xrp-ledger The trend suggests that tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) are gaining a more visible role within the XRPL ecosystem.

XRPL Shows $3.66B in Off-Chain RWA Pipeline Meanwhile, additional data from rwa.xyz reveals that XRP Ledger currently has about $3.66 billion in real-world assets represented off-chain. For comparison, Stellar holds around $79.35 million in similar represented value.

This suggests that XRPL has secured significant institutional commitments in recent months.

Some supporters believe this off-chain pipeline could begin moving on-chain more rapidly as XRPL infrastructure improves. Key upgrades often cited include:

Confidential transactions XLS-66 lending functionality Expansion of RLUSD across multiple chains The argument is that the $3.66 billion in represented assets may not enter the system gradually. Instead, it could move in larger waves once tokenization rails and institutional integrations mature.

XRPL Leads RWA Tokenization With $1.9B Inflows XRPL’s growing momentum is further strengthened by recent data showing that it recorded the highest net RWA inflows across major blockchains over the past 90 days.

Data from the RWA Foundation confirmed that XRPL attracted $1.9 billion in net RWA inflows (excluding stablecoins), ahead of Ethereum’s $1.6 billion and Stellar’s $1.4 billion.

Moreover, Messari’s Q1 2026 report shows XRPL’s RWA market cap surged 124.1% quarter-over-quarter to $2.25 billion, ranking it seventh globally at the time before rising to fourth. Distributed RWAs on XRPL also climbed to $451.1 million, up 35.6% quarter-over-quarter.

Evernorth data shows XRPL scaled from $10 million to $400 million in tokenized RWAs in ~15 months, compared to ~36 months for Ethereum. Year-to-date growth also favors XRPL, up 78% versus Ethereum’s 36%.

Overall, inflows and adoption trends suggest XRP Ledger is becoming one of the fastest-growing hubs for tokenized real-world assets.

JPMorgan, Mastercard, Ondo Finance a Ripple testovaly tokenizovaný Treasury na XRP Ledgeru
ONDO Ondo XRP Ripple
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
A redemption that used to take days cleared in about five seconds. The names in the room matter more than the speed, and the question for XRP holders is where the token actually sits in the flow.

Summary

JPMorgan, Mastercard, Ondo, and Ripple tested tokenized Treasury redemption on the XRP Ledger. The settlement speed matters, but the institutional names matter more. XRP was not the asset being redeemed, but it can sit in fees, reserves, and routing. The long-term signal is utility; the near-term question is whether volume follows. On June 12, JPMorgan, Mastercard, Ondo Finance, and Ripple completed a test that moved a tokenized United States Treasury through a full redemption on the XRP Ledger. The settlement finished in roughly five seconds.

The same operation on traditional rails takes three to five business days. crypto.news shared the result the day it happened, and within hours the XRP community had folded it into the familiar story: another institution, another marquee logo, another reason the token should be worth more than it is.

NEW: JPMorgan, Mastercard, Ondo Finance and Ripple complete tokenized Treasury redemption test on XRP Ledger. Settlement took roughly 5 seconds compared to 3 to 5 business days on traditional rails pic.twitter.com/9Rkd3MkWF4

— crypto.news (@cryptodotnews) June 12, 2026 The speed is real and the participants are real. What deserves a closer look is the part the headlines skip, which is the exact role XRP the asset plays when a tokenized Treasury changes hands on its ledger.

That answer is more interesting than a simple win or loss. It sets the boundary on how much a holder should read into the news.

What actually happened on June 12 Strip the announcement down to its parts and the test looks like this. Ondo Finance issued a tokenized version of a short-dated United States Treasury instrument, the kind of product that wraps a real government bond into an on-chain token that pays the yield of the underlying paper.

Mastercard provided the link between the regulated money layer and the chain through its Multi-Token Network, the rails it has been building to let banks move tokenized deposits and settle against tokenized assets. JPMorgan brought its institutional settlement infrastructure to the bank side of the trade.

Ripple supplied the ledger and the surrounding tooling that let the redemption clear on the XRP Ledger instead of on a private bank network.

A redemption is the moment a holder hands the token back and receives cash value in return. In the legacy world, that round trip crawls through custodians, transfer agents, and settlement windows that only open on business days.

The test compressed that into a single near-instant on-chain event, with the cash leg and the asset leg settling together instead of days apart. Atomic settlement, where both sides of a trade move or neither does, removes the gap during which one party holds an asset and waits to be paid.

That gap is where counterparty risk lives, and closing it is the entire point of putting this kind of asset on a fast public ledger. So the result is a working proof that a tokenized Treasury can be issued, held, and redeemed across a chain that major financial firms were willing to touch.

That is not nothing. It is also not the same thing as production volume, and the difference is where careful readers should slow down.

The logos are the story, up to a point Each name on the June 12 test carries weight, and the weight is worth spelling out because the market tends to treat any JPMorgan headline as a verdict.

JPMorgan has spent years building Kinexys, formerly Onyx, its blockchain settlement arm that already moves large daily volumes in tokenized deposits. When a bank of that size agrees to run a redemption across the XRP Ledger, even as a test, it signals that the ledger met its internal bar for security and controls.

Mastercard has been pushing its Multi-Token Network as the connective tissue between banks and tokenized assets, and its presence shows the test was built to plug into existing card-network plumbing instead of standing alone as a crypto experiment. Ondo is one of the larger issuers of tokenized Treasuries, and its OUSG product has become a reference point for the whole real-world-asset category.

Ripple sat at the center as the ledger host and the firm whose institutional features made the settlement possible. Put together, the group reads as a deliberate signal that tokenized Treasuries can settle on the XRP Ledger with names that compliance departments recognize.

JPMorgan, Mastercard, Ondo Finance and Ripple just completed something quietly historic.

The first cross-border tokenized US Treasury redemption on the XRP Ledger.

Cleared in under 5 seconds.

Traditional settlement for this kind of transaction takes days.

Tokenized assets… pic.twitter.com/9uk5akaVRf

— Rose (@Rose09202) June 21, 2026 The temptation is to draw a straight line from that signal to the XRP price. Before drawing it, look at what moved through the transaction and what did not.

Why tokenized Treasuries are the wedge asset It is no accident that the test used a Treasury and not some exotic instrument. Among all the assets the industry has tried to move on-chain, short-dated government debt has become the wedge that opens the institutional door, and the reasons say a lot about why June 12 happened at all.

A Treasury bill is the simplest large asset to tokenize honestly. It has a known issuer, a known maturity, a yield that is easy to verify, and a price that barely moves day to day.

There is little argument about what it is worth, which means a token wrapped around it can be marked with confidence and redeemed without disputes. Compare that to tokenized real estate or private credit, where valuation is slow, subjective, and easy to challenge, and the appeal of starting with Treasuries becomes obvious.

The asset removes the hardest problem in tokenization, which is agreeing on value, so the experiment can focus on the plumbing. That is why tokenization as the real story keeps coming back to Treasuries: they are liquid, familiar, yield-bearing, and easy for institutions to understand.

The demand is also concrete. Crypto firms, trading desks, and treasuries sit on large idle dollar balances, often parked in stablecoins that pay them nothing.

A tokenized Treasury lets that cash earn the yield of real government paper while staying on-chain, available to move at any hour without leaving for the banking system. That single feature, on-chain dollars that earn a real yield, has turned tokenized Treasuries into one of the fastest-growing corners of the whole digital-asset market.

Ondo’s OUSG and a handful of competitors have pulled in billions because they answer a question every on-chain treasurer has, which is how to stop leaving money on the table.

So when Ripple wanted to prove the XRP Ledger could host serious institutional settlement, the Treasury was the natural choice. It is the asset most likely to move in real size, the one institutions most want on-chain, and the one with the fewest excuses for the test to fail.

Winning the Treasury-settlement business is the beachhead. Everything heavier, corporate bonds, funds, structured credit, follows the rail that first proves itself on the simple asset.

Where XRP actually sits in the transaction Here is the part that gets lost. In the June 12 flow, the asset being moved was a tokenized Treasury. The cash leg most likely settled in a stablecoin or a tokenized deposit.

XRP, the native token of the ledger, was not the thing being bought, sold, or redeemed.

That sounds like bad news for the holder thesis, and read too quickly it would be. The reality is more layered.

XRP touches a settlement like this in three indirect ways, and each one is small per transaction but structural across millions of them.

First, every transaction on the XRP Ledger burns a tiny amount of XRP as a fee. The amounts are fractions of a cent, designed to stop spam, not to enrich anyone.

As transaction count rises, the burn rises with it, which slowly removes XRP from supply. Second, accounts and certain ledger objects require a reserve denominated in XRP, so a ledger that hosts more institutional activity locks up more XRP in reserves.

Third, and most important over time, XRP can serve as the auto-bridge asset when one currency or token needs to move into another inside the ledger’s exchange. In a redemption that converts a tokenized Treasury back into a chosen settlement currency, XRP can sit in the middle as the routing asset that connects the two sides.

While the market obsesses over price action, XRPL just processed another milestone settlement blending JPMorgan, Mastercard, and Ondo Finance rails.

— documenting XRP (@documentingXRPP) June 21, 2026 None of those roles require XRP to be the headline asset in the trade. All three grow with usage, not with hype.

That is the honest frame: the June 12 test does not put XRP at the center of the transaction, but it does feed the machinery where XRP earns its keep. Whether that machinery turns fast enough to matter for price is a separate question, and the search history of XRP suggests patience is warranted.

This is also what the tokenized Treasury settlement means for XRP: the ledger can win serious institutional use before the token captures meaningful demand. The two are connected, but not identical.

The ledger features that made it possible A redemption like this could not have run on the XRP Ledger of a few years ago. The capability is new, and it comes from a stack of institutional features Ripple and the wider XRPL developer community shipped across 2025 and into 2026.

Multi-Purpose Tokens, the MPT standard, let a token carry the metadata that a real financial instrument needs, things like maturity dates, transfer restrictions, and tranche information, without forcing developers to bolt on fragile smart contracts. Permissioned Domains and a permissioned version of the ledger’s decentralized exchange let regulated participants trade in gated environments where access depends on credentials such as know-your-customer checks.

RLUSD, Ripple’s dollar stablecoin, now settles on the ledger and gives institutions a compliant cash leg that lives on the same rail as the asset. The escrow feature was extended to support third-party tokens like RLUSD, which matters for structured settlement.

Layer the XLS-66 lending protocol on top, with its single-asset vaults that isolate credit risk one asset at a time, and the ledger starts to look less like a payments network and more like a settlement venue with a credit layer attached. The June 12 test is the visible output of that quieter build.

The features were the precondition. The redemption was the demonstration that they hold together under the eyes of firms that do not lend their names casually.

The competition for the same settlement business The XRP Ledger is not the only chain courting this work, and the contest for institutional settlement is the backdrop that gives June 12 its real stakes.

Ethereum sits at the center of the tokenized-asset world today. Most tokenized Treasuries, including the largest funds from the biggest asset managers, launched on Ethereum or its layer-2 networks, where the deepest pool of developers and the most established custody and compliance tooling already live.

An institution choosing where to settle starts from a world in which Ethereum is the default, and the burden falls on every other chain to give a reason to look elsewhere. Solana has pushed hard on speed and cost and has won its own share of tokenization projects and corporate interest.

On top of the public chains, the banks are building private ones. JPMorgan’s own settlement network already moves enormous daily volumes inside a permissioned environment the bank controls end to end.

Against that field, the XRP Ledger’s pitch is specific. It offers settlement built for payments from the start, with the institutional features, the MPT standard, permissioned trading, credentials, baked into the base layer instead of bolted on through smart contracts that have to be audited one project at a time.

The argument is that a purpose-built settlement ledger carries less risk surface than a general-purpose smart-contract chain, because there is less custom code between an institution and a completed trade. June 12 is Ripple making that argument in public with partners who could have run the same test anywhere.

This is why the names matter more than the speed. Five-second settlement is achievable on several chains.

What the XRP Ledger needed to prove was that firms like JPMorgan and Mastercard would choose it for a real institutional flow when they had every other option available. The test does not win the war.

It wins the right to be in the room for the next one, which for a chain competing against Ethereum’s incumbency is the harder thing to secure.

Following one tokenized Treasury through the flow Abstractions blur the stakes, so trace a single unit through the kind of cycle the test modeled.

Start with a short-dated United States Treasury bill sitting in a custodian’s account. Ondo, or an issuer like it, holds that bill and mints an on-chain token against it.

The token represents a claim on the bill and the yield it throws off. Call it one unit of a tokenized Treasury, and place it in the wallet of an institutional holder who wants short-term dollar yield without leaving the chain.

For weeks, the holder simply holds. The token accrues the bill’s yield.

When the holder decides to exit, the redemption begins. The holder submits the token back toward the issuer through the settlement arrangement that JPMorgan and Mastercard stand behind.

On the ledger, the asset leg and the cash leg are matched so they settle as one event. The token is retired.

A settlement currency, most likely RLUSD or a tokenized deposit, lands in the holder’s wallet in return. The fee for the ledger transactions is paid in XRP and burned.

If the chosen settlement currency differs from the currency the token was priced in, the ledger’s exchange can route through XRP as the bridge to complete the swap. Total elapsed time: around five seconds.

Compare that to the legacy path, where the same redemption would route through a transfer agent, wait for a settlement window, and clear across three to five business days while both sides carry risk. The end state is identical.

The holder is out of the Treasury and into cash. The path is what changed, and the path is the product.

Notice where XRP appeared in that walk. It paid the fee. It may have bridged the currencies. It backed the account reserves.

It was never the asset the holder set out to trade. That is the shape of XRP’s role in institutional settlement, and it explains why utility can climb for years while the token price moves sideways.

What institutions actually buy beyond the five seconds The speed grabs the headline, but settlement time is not the only thing an institution gains, and the other gains explain why firms keep running these tests even when the token economics do not concern them.

The first gain is capital efficiency. In the legacy model, the days between trade and settlement are days during which capital sits frozen, posted as margin or held in reserve against the risk that the other side fails to deliver.

Collapse settlement to seconds and that frozen capital comes free, available to be deployed elsewhere. For a large trading desk, the value of unlocking capital that used to sit idle for three days at a time runs into real money across a year of activity.

The second gain is around-the-clock operation. Traditional settlement runs on banking hours and business days, so a Friday trade waits through the weekend.

An on-chain ledger settles at any hour, which matters more every year as markets globalize and the line between trading days blurs. The third gain is collateral mobility.

A tokenized Treasury that settles instantly can be moved, pledged, or redeemed the moment it is needed, which lets the same asset work harder as collateral across more uses.

These are the reasons a JPMorgan or a Mastercard cares about the test, and none of them depend on XRP the token doing anything. The institution is buying a better settlement process.

XRP earns its small dues in the background. Keeping those two things separate is the key to reading any announcement like this one without mistaking institutional interest in the ledger for institutional demand for the token.

The first is clearly growing. The second has to be inferred from on-chain flow, and the inference is where most of the disappointment in XRP’s price history has come from.

That is why Ripple’s IPO and XRP holders is part of the same broader lesson. Ripple’s success, XRPL adoption, and XRP holder value are related, but they do not automatically collapse into the same thing.

Does settlement volume reach the price? This is the question every holder actually wants answered, and it deserves a straight treatment, not a number pulled from the air.

The bullish case runs through the indirect roles. If tokenized Treasuries and similar real-world assets move onto the XRP Ledger in size, transaction counts climb, fee burn climbs, reserves lock up more supply, and bridge routing pulls XRP into more flows.

Demand for the token then rises from use instead of from speculation, and demand that comes from use tends to be stickier. Ripple has framed exactly this flywheel in its institutional materials, and the logic holds on its own terms.

The sober case sits in the math. Fee burn on the XRP Ledger is deliberately tiny.

Even a large jump in institutional transactions removes a small fraction of supply against the tens of billions of XRP already in circulation and the monthly escrow releases that add to it. Bridge routing only pulls in XRP when a trade actually needs a currency conversion that the ledger chooses to route through XRP, and many institutional flows will settle stablecoin to stablecoin without ever touching the token.

Reserves lock supply but do not create buy pressure on their own. There is a supply side to weigh as well, and it cuts against the burn story in the near term.

Ripple releases up to one billion XRP from escrow at the start of each month, then re-locks most of it, but the net new supply that reaches the market still runs into the hundreds of millions of tokens monthly. For fee burn from institutional settlement to tighten supply in any meaningful way, the volume would have to grow large enough to offset that steady release, which is a high bar at current transaction levels.

A holder who pins hopes on burn alone is betting that on-chain activity climbs by orders of magnitude while the escrow schedule keeps running on its long-set path. That can happen over years. It does not happen because of one test.

The careful reading is that the June 12 test strengthens the long-term utility argument and does little for the short-term price argument. XRP spent most of 2026 trading near or below the one-dollar-and-change range while news exactly like this piled up, which is the market telling you that proofs of concept are priced as proofs of concept until volume follows.

A settlement test is a door opening. Walking through it at scale is a different event, and the token tends to wait for the second one.

What has to be true for this to matter For the June 12 result to move from interesting to important, a few things need to happen, and naming them gives a holder a watchlist instead of a hope.

Production volume has to follow the test. One redemption proves the plumbing.

Recurring institutional flow, measured in real daily value rather than pilot transactions, is what feeds the burn-and-bridge machinery. Regulatory clarity has to land, because the CLARITY Act and the broader United States market-structure framework decide how freely regulated institutions can settle tokenized assets on public ledgers.

Until the rules set, much of this activity stays in the test-and-pilot stage where the June 12 work lives. That is why CLARITY’s XRP classification question matters: the technology can be ready before the legal framework gives the rest of Wall Street permission to use it.

Competing venues have to be held off, since Ethereum, Solana, and a wave of bank-built private chains are chasing the same tokenized-asset settlement business, and the XRP Ledger has to keep winning the names that make compliance teams comfortable.

If those line up, the indirect demand argument gets a real chance to show up in on-chain data, and from there in price. If they stall, June 12 joins the long list of XRP headlines that read well and changed little.

The token has taught its holders that lesson more than once. That is also why institutional positioning in XRP matters as a separate signal: ETFs show who wants exposure, while settlement flows show whether utility is becoming demand.

Reading the signal without inflating it The clean takeaway is that Ripple, with JPMorgan, Mastercard, and Ondo alongside it, proved that a tokenized Treasury can be issued and redeemed on the XRP Ledger in seconds, with names that the institutional world takes seriously.

That is a meaningful step for the ledger as a settlement venue. For XRP the asset, it is a vote for the long-term utility thesis and a weak input to the near-term price, because the token sits in the fees, the reserves, and the bridge rather than at the center of the trade.

A holder who understands that distinction will not oversell the day and will not dismiss it either. The machinery that pays XRP its small, repeated dues got a high-profile workout.

Now the only thing that turns that into price is the boring part, which is volume that shows up and keeps showing up. Watch the on-chain flow, watch the rules, and let the token follow the usage instead of the logos.

Summarize this article with:

On June 22, 2026, the US spot Bitcoin ETF market recorded net outflows of $68.18 million. This decline is explained by massive redemptions on BlackRock’s IBIT and Grayscale’s GBTC. These outflows completely overshadowed the positive performance of Ark Invest (+$64 million) and Fidelity (+$57.38 million). Above all, it reflects a strong polarization among institutional investors.

In Brief Bitcoin ETFs show a net loss of $68.18 million during the June 22, 2026 session. Ark Invest (ARKB) and Fidelity (FBTC) nonetheless attracted a combined inflow of $121.38 million, proving continued buying demand. Ethereum funds also recorded a decline of $66.38 million, while Bitwise’s XRP gained $5.31 million. The total net assets under management of Bitcoin ETFs reach $80.22 billion, confirming the structural anchoring of these products in institutional portfolios. Bitcoin ETFs Remain Under Pressure Despite Some Positive Signs At first glance, the session on June 22, 2026, in the US spot Bitcoin ETF market looks like an ordinarily bearish day. Analysts also reveal a record withdrawal of $6.35 billion over 30 days. However, SoSoValue’s data highlights a more complex reality: never before has a day in negative territory hidden so many active institutional purchases.

ARK & 21Shares lead the charge with $64 million in net inflows into their ARKB fund, closely followed by Fidelity’s Bitcoin ETF, which captured $57.38 million. Together, these two issuers have absorbed over $121 million in spot bitcoin.

Chart showing the evolution of Bitcoin ETF flows (Source: SoSoValue) Additional inflows include:

Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust: +$48.14 million Morgan Stanley’s MSBT: +$8.11 million Franklin Templeton’s EZBC: +$3.72 million WisdomTree’s BTCW: +$3.40 million In total, the aggregated demand from six ETF issuers exceeded $228 million. This represents one of the largest coordinated buying days in several weeks.

The Weight of BlackRock and Grayscale Tips the Bitcoin ETF Market Certainly, the buyer base remains solid. However, the Bitcoin ETF market was overwhelmed by extreme concentration of outflows on two specific investment vehicles.

The main culprit of this institutional Black Monday is BlackRock’s IBIT (iShares Bitcoin Trust). The asset management giant suffered massive outflows of $171.96 million in a single session. It had just launched the first-ever yield-bearing Bitcoin ETF.

Meanwhile, the GBTC (Grayscale Bitcoin Trust) records a disinvestment of $80.96 million. The manager tries to offset these losses through its Mini Trust. However, the historically high management fees of GBTC structurally encourage early investors to migrate to more competitive structures or take profits.

Beyond Bitcoin: Ethereum Stumbles, While XRP Surprises The spot Ethereum ETFs had an even tougher day. The data reveal a net loss of $66.38 million, almost entirely attributable to BlackRock’s ETHA fund. The only positive inflow on Ethereum that day came from 21Shares’ TETH, with $346,070 of inflows. The total net assets of Ethereum ETFs stand at $9.44 billion, with a daily volume of $433.10 million.

For crypto assets alternative to bitcoin, the XRP ETFs are the only source of color in an overall red picture. Bitwise captured $5.31 million, bringing the total net assets of the XRP category to $993.29 million. This represents a symbolic drop of $7 million from the billion-dollar mark. A threshold to watch in the coming sessions!

The Solana and HYPE ETFs remained completely inactive on this day. Solana’s assets stand at $836.09 million, and HYPE’s at $219.58 million.

In any case, this trading session highlights the end of the homogeneity of institutional flows on cryptocurrencies. Upcoming flow reports and US monetary policy decisions will be crucial to determine whether this phase of weakness marks a simple pause or the beginning of a new cycle for Bitcoin ETFs. Stay tuned…
