Solana (SOL) is now available on the XRP Ledger DEX, Hussein Zangana (Vet), XRP Ledger Foundation director of community, revealed in a recent post. Wrapped and issued by Axelar, this move connects Solana and the XRP Ledger.
As the XRP DEX is native, users will be able to access Solana on XRP Ledger-based platforms. They can swap SOL on the XRPL DEX through the XPMarket, First Ledger, and Magnetic platforms. They can also access SOL directly within Xaman Wallet through the Swap widget.
The move follows a trend that has increased since 2025 and continues in 2026, opening up new paths for several assets to move across chains, with XRP having gone live on Solana earlier.

Wrapped XRP (wXRP), issued by Hex Trust, went live on Solana in April, making the token available for the first time through Solana's DeFi apps (Jupiter, Phantom, Titan Exchange, and Meteora). wXRP, which is tradable with RLUSD, can be used on supported blockchains, including Solana, Optimism, Ethereum, and HyperEVM.
Warning issuedWith a new interoperability milestone unlocked with Solana now available on the XRPL DEX, Vet issued a crucial warning to the XRP community. He noted that currently Axelar is the only legitimate issuer of Wrapped SOL, urging XRPL users to beware of fake tokens.

Vet added that platforms that support Wrapped SOL on the XRPL, including XPMarket, First Ledger, Magnetic, and Xaman Wallet, have given the token a checkmark to make it easier to identify. He shared a screenshot from XRPScan to explain what he meant.
As seen in the screenshot, the account name or the issuer is listed as Axelar Bridge with a checkmark. This will enable users to differentiate the original issuer from fake ones, which are those without a checkmark.
However, users should not rely only on the token name or the ticker. They should verify the issuer address and cross-check with reliable sources before trading.
Sentora po několikaměsíční due diligence schválila FXRP jako způsobilý kolaterál. Pro Flare je to podle Hugha Philiona důležitý signál důvěry v XRP jako kolaterál v DeFi.
Hugo Philion, co-founder and CEO of Flare, said Sentora, a major DeFi resource and risk management platform, approved FXRP as an eligible collateral asset.
Philion made the comments in a recent interview with Paul Barron on the Paul Barron Network, where they discussed XRP’s growing use in decentralized finance.
During the interview, Paul Barron noted that XRP ranks around fourth among cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, with a market value of about $70 billion.
However, he pointed out that XRP does not yet have the same role in on-chain lending as Ethereum. According to him, wrapped Bitcoin and stablecoins have already shown how crypto assets can be used as collateral in DeFi.
Barron said this could allow large amounts of idle capital to become more useful. He then asked Philion whether this new use case could help expand XRP’s market base.
Flare Expands XRP Lending Philion said he believes the development should help expand XRP’s market base. He also said Flare has played a leading role in making XRP a collateral asset and has so far seen strong results in this area.
According to Philion, this progress benefits the XRP community, Ripple, and investors who see XRP as an asset worth holding.
The Flare CEO then highlighted the difference between Flare’s current lending setup and the upcoming XLS-66 protocol.
He explained that Flare’s integration with Morpho on mainnet and Sentora allows users to borrow RLUSD, with other stablecoins potentially added later, using XRP as collateral.
With this, a user could provide $1.50 worth of XRP and borrow $1. He said this gives XRP holders a direct way to put their tokens into a lending market and borrow against them.
However, XLS-66 works differently because it focuses on uncollateralized lending. This method would allow borrowers to arrange their credit rating or payment guarantee off-chain.
As a result, Philion said XLS-66 does not provide the same function as Flare’s system, where users can use XRP to borrow dollars. He added that Flare plans to keep expanding this market and develop more products around XRP as collateral.
FXRP Addresses Bridge Risks Barron then called attention to the risks involved in using other crypto assets in DeFi. According to him, there are extra risks that can come from wrapping agents and F-assets, as well as the bridge risks involved when assets move between networks. He asked Philion what Flare had done to reduce these risks.
Responding, Philion said scams remain one of the biggest risks users face, especially on Twitter (now X), where fake accounts often pretend to represent Flare and other projects. As for the bridge itself, he said Flare has tested it extensively and designed its structure with security in mind.
Philion then mentioned Sentora’s review as an important sign of confidence. He said Sentora spent several months carrying out due diligence on FXRP, while many of its partner exchanges also reviewed the asset.
The reviews covered how the bridge operates and how FXRP moves onto Ethereum. After completing those checks, Sentora approved FXRP as an eligible collateral asset.
Philion noted that the decision was a major sign of confidence because Sentora ranks among the largest curators in the DeFi sector.
Because losses could directly affect its business, the Flare co-founder said Sentora has a strong reason to examine the risks carefully before supporting an asset. As a result, he saw its approval of FXRP as an important vote of confidence.
FXRP Expands Across DeFi FXRP launched on the Flare mainnet on September 24, 2025, as the first asset under the FAssets protocol. Flare initially capped minting at 5 million tokens during the first week, which filled almost immediately.
By February 2026, FXRP’s circulating supply had passed 100 million tokens, worth about $140.10 million at the time. Users had minted the tokens through 38,030 transactions, with more than 60% of the supply staked in Flare-native DeFi protocols.
Flare also launched the first XRP spot market on Hyperliquid in January 2026 through an FXRP/USDH pair. FXRP later expanded to the Yellow Network and Coinbase’s Base chain. At press time, Flare held nearly $150 million worth of XRP tokens, while $58 million remained staked on Firelight.

Audit Sherlocku nad XRP Ledgerem odhalil 96 zranitelností, včetně 2 kritických, ještě před aktivací na mainnetu. Ripple na odměnách vyplatil 309 000 RLUSD z fondu 550 000 RLUSD.
A $550,000 community audit contest uncovered two critical vulnerabilities in XRP Ledger features that could have drained user accounts without private keys. The findings reveal how Ripple’s audit-before-release model diverges sharply from the broader crypto industry’s patch-after-exploit norm.
Summary
Sherlock’s two-week audit contest, which opened on April 13, 2026, uncovered 96 valid vulnerabilities across five proposed XRP Ledger amendments, including 2 critical and 6 high-severity bugs, before any of them reached mainnet. Ripple paid $309,000 in RLUSD bounties from a $550,000 prize pool, marking the first collaboration between Sherlock and Ripple and one of the largest audit contests of 2026. The most severe finding was a signature-validation flaw in the Batch amendment that would have allowed attackers to execute transactions from any account without holding its private keys, first identified on February 19, 2026, by researcher Pranamya Keshkamat and Cantina’s AI tool Apex. A separate critical bug in Permission Delegation allowed malicious actors to silently drain XRP balances through repeated fee charges on invalid delegated transactions, because the code checked permissions before verifying signatures. DeFi exploits exceeded $840 million across more than 50 incidents in the first five months of 2026 alone, a 70% year-over-year increase, and 70% of exploited contracts had been audited but lacked post-deployment monitoring. XRP Ledger version 3.3.0 shipped on August 6, 2026, carrying five proposed amendments and a bundled cleanup patch. On paper it looked like a routine infrastructure release. Underneath, the update represented the conclusion of a six-month security gauntlet that caught two account-draining bugs, rewrote two entire feature implementations from scratch, and paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to outside researchers who found problems the internal team had missed. The process raises a pointed question for the wider blockchain industry: if Ripple can catch critical flaws before deployment, why does so much of crypto still treat security audits as a post-launch checkbox?
This piece breaks down what the two critical vulnerabilities actually were at a technical level, examines how the audit-vote-activate pipeline compares to competing chains’ security models, and assesses whether the findings strengthen or undermine the case for XRPL as institutional-grade infrastructure.
What the Sherlock contest actually found The scope covered five pillars of upcoming XRPL functionality: Batch Transactions, Permission Delegation, Multi-Purpose Token (MPT) DEX integration, Confidential Transfers for MPTs, and Sponsored Fees and Reserves. Sherlock, a Web3 security firm that ranks researchers by performance and structures engagements as adversarial contests, opened the audit on April 13, 2026, with a $550,000 RLUSD prize pool. The contest page on Sherlock’s platform listed the engagement as “XRP Ledger – April 2026 Contest – 550,000 RLUSD,” signaling that Ripple paid the bounties in its own stablecoin.
Over two weeks, participants submitted reports that surfaced 96 valid findings: 2 critical, 6 high, 29 medium, and 59 low-severity issues. Ripple distributed $309,000 in RLUSD to contributors. The remaining pool covered Sherlock’s operational costs and lower-tier findings that did not meet the payout threshold.
The contest marked the first formal collaboration between Sherlock and Ripple, and it arrived at a moment when the XRP Ledger’s feature pipeline was expanding faster than at any point in its history. Five amendments shipping simultaneously meant five distinct attack surfaces, each with its own transaction logic, authorization model, and cryptographic requirements. For context, Sherlock’s audit contest model has previously been used by protocols including Aave, Euler, and Olympus DAO, but an engagement covering C++ protocol-level code for a layer-one blockchain was atypical for a platform more commonly associated with Solidity smart contracts.
The severity distribution itself tells a story. The 29 medium-severity findings suggest a category of bugs that would not individually compromise accounts but could create unexpected behavior under specific transaction sequences. The 59 low-severity issues likely include code quality concerns, documentation gaps, and edge cases that could compound under adversarial conditions. The two critical and six high-severity bugs, however, represented exploitable vulnerabilities that warranted immediate remediation.
The Batch amendment bug that could have emptied accounts The most dangerous vulnerability predated the Sherlock contest by two months. On February 19, 2026, security researcher Pranamya Keshkamat and Cantina’s autonomous AI audit tool Apex independently identified a signature-validation flaw in the original Batch amendment while it was still in its validator voting phase.
The technical failure was precise. Batch Transactions allow up to eight operations to execute atomically under a single outer transaction. The outer transaction’s signature-validation code contained an early-exit condition that could be satisfied without properly verifying who was authorizing the inner transactions. In practice, an attacker could have constructed a Batch transaction containing inner Payment operations targeting a victim account, draining it down to its reserve balance, without ever holding that account’s private keys. The same logic gap would have permitted unauthorized AccountSet, TrustSet, or AccountDelete operations.
The vulnerability disclosure report published on xrpl.org detailed the mechanics: the signer check in the outer transaction could pass without confirming that the entity submitting the batch actually controlled the accounts referenced in the inner transactions. This meant that the atomicity feature designed to improve user experience could have been weaponized to empty any account on the network in a single transaction.
RippleX responded with an emergency release. Rippled version 3.1.1, published on February 23, 2026, four days after discovery, marked both the original Batch amendment and its companion fixBatchInnerSigs as unsupported, preventing validators from voting on or activating them. No funds were lost because the amendment had not yet cleared the 80% validator threshold required for activation. The replacement, BatchV1_1, shipped in version 3.3.0 with the early-exit condition removed, additional authorization guards added, and the signing check scope tightened to verify each inner transaction against the correct signer independently.
Permission Delegation’s silent fee-drain exploit The second critical vulnerability operated through a subtler mechanism. A September 2025 disclosure documented how the original Permission Delegation implementation allowed an attacker to silently bleed a victim account’s XRP balance without accessing its keys.
The exploit relied on a design feature of the XRP Ledger’s transaction processing that has existed since the network’s earliest days. On XRPL, a transaction that fails with a “tec”-class error still incurs a fee charge, while errors caught earlier in the pipeline, before signature verification, do not. This distinction exists because tec-class failures indicate transactions that were properly formed and signed but failed for business-logic reasons, and the fee prevents spam. Permission Delegation’s original code checked whether a delegate account held the relevant permission before it verified the transaction’s signature. An attacker could repeatedly submit invalid offline-signed transactions with elevated fees against a delegated account, and each failed transaction would still deduct the fee from the victim’s balance.
The economic impact would have compounded quickly. Because the attacker could set arbitrarily high fees on these transactions, a sustained attack could drain an account far faster than normal transaction fees would suggest. The victim would see their balance declining with no corresponding outbound payments, making the attack difficult to diagnose without examining raw transaction metadata.
The fix reclassified the relevant error from tec to ter and reordered the checks so that no fee can be deducted before signature verification passes. The replacement amendment, PermissionDelegationV1_1, carries a default “No” designation in the 3.3.0 registry, meaning validators must actively vote to enable it. This conservative default reflects the sensitivity of the original flaw: even after the rewrite, Ripple chose to require explicit validator opt-in for the feature.
BREAKING: XRP Ledger sustains over 140 TPS and blocks with up to 987 transactions during today’s big activity wave, maintaining cent-level fees and 3-4 second settlement pic.twitter.com/yaAyCH4wGy
— crypto.news (@cryptodotnews) April 10, 2026 Why both rewrites shipped in a single release Packaging two security-rewritten amendments alongside three entirely new features in one version was a deliberate choice. RippleX published xrpld 3.3.0 on August 6, 2026, with the code for all six proposals (including a bundled cleanup amendment called fixCleanup3_3_0) present but none of them activated. Under the XRP Ledger’s amendment process, each proposal must sustain more than 80% validator support for two consecutive weeks before going live.
This separation between code availability and feature activation is a structural advantage that most smart-contract platforms lack. On Ethereum, a deployed contract is live the moment it hits the blockchain. On XRPL, code can ship, undergo further review during the voting window, and still be blocked if validators lose confidence. The Batch and Permission Delegation rewrites had already survived the Sherlock contest, a Halborn re-audit that found zero critical or high-risk issues, and months of internal testing. The voting period adds yet another layer of defense before any code touches real funds.
The version also retired five legacy amendments, including Clawback, fixDisallowIncomingV1, fixInnerObjTemplate, fixNFTokenReserve, and fixUniversalNumber, removing dead code paths that could otherwise accumulate as latent attack surface over time.
The five feature amendments in 3.3.0 represent the broadest single expansion of XRPL capabilities to date. Confidential Transfers bring EC-ElGamal encryption and zero-knowledge proofs to Multi-Purpose Tokens, shielding individual balances and transfer amounts from public view while preserving compliance access for authorized parties. Sponsored Fees allow applications to cover network costs on behalf of users, addressing the onboarding friction that has kept consumer-facing applications off decentralized networks. DynamicMPT lets issuers modify token properties after creation, supporting evolving regulatory and business requirements. Together with the Batch and Permission Delegation rewrites, these features target a specific audience: regulated financial institutions that need privacy, atomic settlement, and delegated operations without sacrificing auditability.
Audit before release versus patch after exploit The contrast between Ripple’s approach and the broader industry’s security track record is stark. DeFi exploits exceeded $840 million across more than 50 incidents in the first five months of 2026, a 70% year-over-year increase over the same period in 2025. North Korea-linked actors accounted for 76% of global crypto hack losses in the first four months of the year. And the most damning statistic: 70% of exploited contracts had been audited but lacked any form of post-deployment monitoring. Only 4% of tracked projects combined audits, active bug bounties, and third-party monitoring controls together.
The Ethereum ecosystem, home to the largest concentration of smart-contract value, operates under a fundamentally different security model. Contracts deploy to mainnet through an immutable transaction. If a vulnerability surfaces afterward, the options are limited: deploy a new contract and migrate users, implement a proxy upgrade pattern that introduces its own attack surface, or accept the risk. The Wormhole bridge hack of 2022 cost $320 million because a deprecated verification function remained in production code. Ronin’s August 2024 exploit cost $12 million because a contract upgrade failed to initialize operator weights correctly. In both cases, audits had been performed; the failures happened after deployment.
The KelpDAO hack on April 18, 2026, which drained approximately $293 million, was the largest single DeFi exploit of the year. The Drift Protocol exploit on Solana on April 1, which cost roughly $286 million, was the largest ever recorded on that chain. These figures are not fringe events. They represent the baseline failure rate of an industry that has collectively lost $16.69 billion to hacks, bridge exploits, and security incidents according to DeFiLlama data.
XRPL’s amendment voting process inverts this sequence. Code ships in a release, but features remain dormant until validators approve them. During the voting window, researchers, node operators, and competing auditors can examine the live codebase with full context. If a problem surfaces, validators simply withhold their votes. No emergency patch, no migration, no proxy contract. The February 2026 Batch bug followed exactly this path: the amendment was in its voting phase, the vulnerability was identified, and an emergency release prevented activation. Zero funds at risk, zero user impact.
This is not to say that the XRPL model is flawless. The amendment process works for protocol-level features but does not extend to applications built on top of the ledger. A poorly coded trust line or MPT integration could still lose funds. And the 80% validator threshold creates its own risks: if too few validators upgrade to a new version, legitimate security patches can stall. But for core protocol changes, the audit-vote-activate pipeline represents a materially different security posture than deploy-and-hope.

— crypto.news (@cryptodotnews) May 3, 2026 What this means for XRPL’s institutional pitch Ripple has spent 2026 building an institutional infrastructure stack at an aggressive pace. The $1.25 billion acquisition of Hidden Road, a multi-asset prime broker rebranded as Ripple Prime, gave the company a regulated on-ramp for traditional finance. RLUSD reached a $1.72 billion market capitalization in under a year and moved more than $18 billion in transaction volume during Q1 alone. Goldman Sachs disclosed a $153.8 million position across four XRP ETFs. Ripple secured a full Electronic Money Institution license from Luxembourg in February, UK Financial Conduct Authority permissions in January, and a MiCA Crypto-Asset Service Provider license on July 6.
The institutional DeFi features arriving in version 3.3.0 are the technical counterpart to this business development push. Confidential Transfers address the privacy requirements of banks that cannot expose transaction details on a public ledger. Sponsored Fees solve the onboarding friction that has kept retail banking applications off decentralized networks. Permission Delegation, once its rewrite clears the voting process, enables the kind of controlled access models that compliance departments require.
But institutional adoption depends on trust, and trust in blockchain infrastructure ultimately comes down to security track record. The fact that Ripple caught two critical bugs, rewrote two entire feature implementations, paid outside researchers $309,000 to find problems, and still delivered all five features on schedule is a stronger institutional selling point than any individual feature. It suggests a security culture where finding bugs is rewarded and where shipping is subordinate to verification.
Over 300 financial institutions across 55 countries currently use RippleNet, with active On-Demand Liquidity corridors in more than 70 markets. For those institutions, the Sherlock audit results are not abstract. They are evidence that the code running their cross-border payments has been stress-tested by adversarial researchers with financial incentives to break it. Ripple’s four-phase quantum-resistance roadmap, targeting completion by 2028, further signals that the company is engineering for institutional time horizons measured in decades, not deployment cycles.
The opposing case: why skeptics are not convinced The strongest argument against reading too much into the Sherlock audit runs in two directions.
First, finding 96 bugs before release can be framed as evidence of thorough testing or evidence of sloppy development. Both the Batch and Permission Delegation vulnerabilities were in the original implementations, meaning they cleared internal review before external researchers caught them. The February 2026 Batch bug was not identified by Ripple’s own team but by an independent researcher and an AI tool. If external auditors are the primary safety net, the internal development process may have quality gaps that will eventually produce a vulnerability that no external reviewer catches in time.
Second, the XRPL amendment model’s strength, the ability to prevent activation during the voting window, is also a speed constraint. Ethereum’s willingness to deploy and iterate has enabled a pace of innovation that XRPL cannot match. The five amendments in version 3.3.0 have been in development and review cycles for months. The original Batch amendment was proposed in 2025. For protocols competing for developer attention in fast-moving markets, a six-month security pipeline may be too slow to attract the builder ecosystem that drives network effects.
There is also a concentration risk in the validator set. The 80% activation threshold means that a relatively small number of validators, many of which are operated by entities with close ties to Ripple, control whether amendments go live. Critics argue this is not truly decentralized governance but a curated approval process dressed in consensus language. When Ripple’s own validator voted “yes” on lending amendments in recent weeks, it underscored how much influence the company retains over its nominally decentralized network.
Finally, the $309,000 payout from a $550,000 pool raises a practical question about incentive alignment. Top-tier security researchers command rates that exceed what contest models typically pay per hour of effort. If the most skilled auditors skip XRPL contests because the expected payout per finding is lower than private engagements, the adversarial review may be broad but not deep enough to catch the most sophisticated attack vectors.
These objections have weight. XRP traded near $1.03 in late July 2026, roughly 71% below its $3.65 cycle high set on July 17, 2025, suggesting the market has not yet priced in the institutional narrative. Whether the security track record translates into adoption depends on factors beyond code quality: regulatory clarity, competitive positioning against Ethereum layer-2 solutions, and whether institutions care more about pre-deployment audits than they do about ecosystem size.
What to watch Validator voting thresholds for the five 3.3.0 amendments: if BatchV1_1 and PermissionDelegationV1_1 clear 80% support within the first voting cycle, it signals validator confidence in the rewrites. A stall would suggest lingering concerns about the rewritten code.
Post-activation bug reports: the real test of the Sherlock audit’s thoroughness comes after features go live. Zero critical findings in the first 90 days would validate the pre-release model; any post-activation vulnerability would undermine the entire thesis.
RLUSD adoption on Confidential Transfers: institutional stablecoin usage on shielded rails would confirm demand for privacy-compliant settlement. Volume metrics in the first quarter after activation will be the clearest signal of whether banks are ready to transact on a public ledger with privacy guarantees.
Sherlock’s next XRPL engagement: whether Ripple continues with adversarial audit contests for future amendments or reverts to traditional private audits will indicate how deeply the pre-release model is embedded in the development culture.
Competing chain security incidents: every major exploit on Ethereum or Solana that traces back to a post-deployment vulnerability strengthens the case for XRPL’s audit-vote-activate pipeline. The comparison is only as strong as the industry’s continued failure to adopt similar processes.
What did the Sherlock audit of XRP Ledger find? The two-week audit contest, which opened on April 13, 2026, uncovered 96 valid vulnerabilities across five proposed XRPL amendments: 2 critical, 6 high, 29 medium, and 59 low-severity issues. Ripple paid $309,000 in RLUSD bounties from a $550,000 prize pool. All findings were addressed before any of the affected features activated on mainnet.
What was the critical Batch amendment bug? The original Batch amendment contained a signature-validation flaw that allowed an attacker to execute inner transactions from any account without holding its private keys. The bug was an early-exit condition in the outer transaction’s signing check that could be satisfied without proper authorization verification. Researcher Pranamya Keshkamat and Cantina’s AI tool Apex identified it on February 19, 2026. RippleX patched it in emergency release version 3.1.1 four days later.
How did the Permission Delegation vulnerability work? The original implementation checked delegate permissions before verifying transaction signatures. On XRPL, transactions that fail with “tec”-class errors still incur fees. An attacker could repeatedly submit invalid transactions with elevated fees against a delegated account, draining its XRP balance without ever holding its keys. The fix reclassified the error type and reordered the verification checks.
Were any funds lost from these vulnerabilities? No funds were lost. Both critical vulnerabilities were identified before their respective amendments activated on mainnet. The Batch bug was caught during the validator voting phase, and the Permission Delegation flaw was disclosed and patched before activation. The XRP Ledger’s amendment process, which requires 80% validator support for two consecutive weeks, provided a structural buffer that prevented exploitation.
What is Sherlock and how does its audit model work? Sherlock is a Web3 security firm that structures audits as adversarial contests, ranking researchers by performance and offering financial incentives through prize pools. The XRP Ledger engagement was Sherlock’s first collaboration with Ripple and one of the largest audit contests of 2026. The model differs from traditional private audits by inviting broad participation from independent security researchers competing for bounties, which surfaces a wider range of attack vectors than a small internal team can cover.
How does XRPL’s security model differ from Ethereum’s? XRPL’s amendment process separates code deployment from feature activation. New features ship in a software release but remain dormant until validators vote to activate them, creating a review window where vulnerabilities can be caught without emergency patches. Ethereum’s smart contracts are live upon deployment, and fixing vulnerabilities requires deploying new contracts, migrating users, or implementing proxy upgrades. In the first five months of 2026, DeFi exploits exceeded $840 million, and 70% of exploited contracts had been audited but lacked post-deployment monitoring.
What features does XRP Ledger version 3.3.0 include? Version 3.3.0, released on August 6, 2026, contains code for five feature amendments and a cleanup patch. The features include Confidential Transfers for Multi-Purpose Tokens using zero-knowledge proofs, rewritten Batch Transactions for atomic multi-operation settlement, rewritten Permission Delegation for controlled account access, Sponsored Fees allowing applications to cover user costs, and DynamicMPT enabling issuers to modify token properties after creation.
Does this audit make XRPL a safe investment? The Sherlock audit reflects a rigorous pre-release security process, but code quality is one factor among many that influence investment outcomes. XRP traded near $1.03 in late July 2026, roughly 71% below its cycle high, and market performance depends on regulatory developments, institutional adoption rates, competitive dynamics, and macroeconomic conditions. Militia Capital Management has filed an amended 13F form with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), revealing its latest holdings in the Bitwise XRP ETF. The disclosure includes 31,820 shares, confirming that Militia Capital now holds a regulated XRP exchange-traded fund position through a product listed on a U.S. exchange.
Growing institutional demand for XRP ETFsThe Militia Capital filing highlights a growing trend among regulated investment firms to adopt XRP ETFs as part of their portfolios. Recent months have seen an expanding roster of institutions reporting exposure to these products via public SEC filings, reflecting an uptick in institutional interest and confidence in XRP-based investment vehicles.
Gallacher Capital Management declared ownership of 86,744 shares in the Canary XRP ETF, valued at $961,126 in its second-quarter 13F-HR. Brookstone Capital Management has also published data confirming exposure to an XRP ETF position.
Citadel previously reported holding 34,900 call options on the Canary XRP ETF earlier this year, having closed out all its put options. The Bank of Montreal filed its Form 13F-HR on August 12, updating its holdings through the end of June.
Bitrue indicated that Franklin Templeton clients purchased $5.66 million worth of XRP during the current year. Cumulative net inflows across the seven U.S.-listed spot XRP ETFs have reached into the billions, with several products setting new records in 2026.
Militia Capital joins a steadily increasing group of investment managers allocating capital to regulated XRP ETF products, underscoring the asset’s broader acceptance in institutional circles.
Bitwise leads in ETF inflowsMilitia Capital’s position is specifically in the Bitwise XRP ETF—currently the ETF leader in net flows year to date. On July 16, Bitwise posted daily net inflows of $4.41 million, outpacing all other XRP ETF products. The firm’s 31,820-share stake marks a deliberate commitment to the highest-volume ETF in the market.
As investors look to monitor key metrics and seek efficient market exposure, Wall Street is rapidly shifting into Web3. Participants are moving toward platforms such as 1stepSwap, enabling direct ownership of shares in major U.S. companies, as well as gold and silver, held securely in crypto wallets. This movement is powered by tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs) and algorithmic price discovery, eliminating intermediaries from the investment process.
Compliant access for institutional portfoliosInstitutions rely on regulatory filings like the 13F to make strategic, compliant decisions. Portfolio managers and compliance teams play central roles in allocating capital to digital asset-based ETFs. Militia Capital’s filing demonstrates continued growth in institutional adoption of XRP as an investable asset.
Hedge funds, asset managers, and commercial banks—along with new filings like Militia Capital’s—are increasingly selecting regulated XRP ETF products for market entry. Spot XRP ETFs were launched after persistent community advocacy, providing accessible and regulated options for institutional participants.
An expanding pattern has emerged in 2026 as regulated institutions announce new XRP ETF holdings, arriving via independent filings and product structures, giving further visibility to the sector.

SEC pod vedením Paula Atkinse potvrdila, že je připravena vydat pravidla pro kryptoměny i bez schválení CLARITY Act. Senátní hlasování o zákonu je naplánováno na 15. září.
Levi Rietveld, a well-known crypto analyst and creator of Crypto Crusaders, focused this week on the ongoing regulatory challenges faced by XRP. Rietveld addressed the current debate over the CLARITY Act and emphasized that recent developments at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) are now taking precedence over stalled legislative efforts.
The SEC steps up regulatory effortsRietveld stated that the SEC, alongside the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), already possesses the tools to regulate cryptocurrencies through their existing authority. He pointed out that these agencies can make and enforce rules governing the crypto sector without waiting for new legislation from Congress.
SEC Chair Paul Atkins publicly confirmed this approach, specifying that the agency is “ready, willing and able to come out with rules” with or without congressional action on the CLARITY Act. Commissioner Hester Peirce has similarly stated that the SEC intends to advance frameworks for custody, the trading of tokenized securities, and crypto fundraising regardless of the bill’s outcome.
Rietveld remarked that formal rulemaking and new guidance from regulators are set to advance within days, shifting attention away from the delayed Senate process and toward immediate regulatory measures.
XRP, trading close to $1, has seen increased scrutiny as the debate around the CLARITY Act’s passage intensifies. While Rietveld’s video commentary included warnings about a “collapse,” he also displayed optimism about the asset’s long-term regulatory clarity and its prospects as these changes unfold.
XRP’s legal foundation and future structureRietveld explained that the key development for XRP lies in the ongoing integration of the asset into a clearly regulated financial framework. He highlighted that legal clarity was already achieved to a significant extent through Ripple’s extended litigation with the SEC, which set several precedents for the industry.
Commissioner Peirce confirmed that the SEC’s agenda now features ongoing efforts to define rules for decentralized finance, custody, and the trading of tokenized securities. These areas directly relate to XRP’s core infrastructure, providing a foundation for broader institutional participation if legal certainty is solidified.
As regulatory momentum builds, a major shift is also taking place on Wall Street. Traditional markets, which previously relied on layers of brokers, are rapidly integrating Web3 technologies. Investors are turning to platforms such as 1stepSwap that allow users to hold shares of major U.S. companies, gold, and silver directly in their crypto wallets. By tokenizing real-world assets and automating price discovery, such solutions remove intermediaries and reduce transaction friction for institutional and retail participants alike.
Congressional efforts remain relevantDespite the SEC’s active push for new crypto guidelines, congressional action remains significant. SEC Chair Atkins argued that statutory law offers stronger long-term stability than administrative rules, which agencies can amend or reverse.
A Senate vote on the CLARITY Act is scheduled for September 15. The bill requires at least 7 Democratic votes to pass the 60-vote threshold for cloture. Senator Bernie Moreno has stated that all 53 Republican senators support the measure, and several Democrats are expected to vote in favor.
Atkins believes a law would provide lasting certainty for crypto market participants, offering greater protection against potential policy reversals compared to regulatory guidance alone.
With regulatory agencies already developing comprehensive frameworks, institutional access to assets like XRP is expected to expand whatever the outcome of the Senate vote. These structural shifts mark a transition period, with both regulatory and legislative pathways shaping the market’s future.

According to a Friday report by Semafor, enterprise blockchain company Ripple will attend a meeting at the White House on Wednesday.
Apart from Ripple, such big names as Coinbase, a16z, Chainlink, and Paradigm will also be in attendance.
U.S. Securities and Exchange Chair Paul Atkins as well as Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chair Michael Selig will be present during the meeting as well.

This will not be Ripple's first appearance at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. In early 2025, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse attended the White House Digital Assets Summit, the administration's first presidential crypto summit. Garlinghouse was among a relatively small group of crypto executives invited to the event, alongside Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev, and Strategy's Michael Saylor. The company associated with the XRP cryptocurrency also had another documented presence at the White House in July during the signing the stablecoin-focused GENIUS Act.
As reported by U.Today, Ripple also took part in an important White House summit earlier this year.
Last year, however, Ripple's lobbying operation briefly became a source of friction inside the White House because lobbyist Ballard Partners avoided important access procedures. However, Ripple was not permanently excluded from the White House despite attracting the ire of the administration.
Regulatory uncertainty As reported by U.Today, the CLARITY Act, which has been persistently pushed by the White House, did not receive a final Senate vote before the August recess. Senate Majority Leader John Thune has scheduled a procedural vote for Sept 15.
In July, White House crypto adviser Patrick Witt pushed back against Thune’s increasingly pessimistic assessment.
Witt and senior White House officials participated in negotiations with Republican senators over one of the bill’s most contentious provisions.
XRP se drží kolem 1,01 USD, zatímco velcí držitelé během jednoho dne nakoupili přes 72 milionů tokenů. Spot XRP ETF zároveň přilákaly tento týden čistý příliv 2,25 milionu USD.
Ripple’s XRP hovered near $1.01 on Friday, keeping just above the key $1 mark after recording its most bearish daily close since November 2024. The token remains down about 69% from its January 2025 peak of $3.30, continuing to lag beneath major technical averages.
Major holders boost accumulationDespite the recent downturn, large investors are actively increasing their XRP positions. Blockchain analytics specialist Ali Martinez reported that whales amassed over 72 million XRP within a 24-hour period. Martinez questioned whether these acquisitions suggest that major players may be positioning themselves ahead of an anticipated price recovery.
Ali Martinez observed that major XRP holders accumulated more than 72 million tokens in a single day, raising questions about whether significant investors are preparing for a potential bull rally.
This accumulation trend extends beyond one day. According to Santiment, the number of addresses holding at least 1 million XRP has grown by 32 over the last three months, bringing the total to approximately 2,033. These large wallets acquired over 380 million XRP during the week ending August 9, pushing their total holdings above 8 billion XRP, currently valued at around $8.2 billion.
ETF inflows and shifting investor behaviorInstitutional activity remains favorable even as price action struggles. SoSoValue data shows that spot XRP exchange-traded funds recorded $2.25 million in net inflows by Thursday of the current week. If the week closes in positive territory, this would be XRP’s fifth straight week with net ETF inflows, reflecting persistent institutional appetite.
Investor behavior also indicates greater focus on self-custody. Around 81% of XRP withdrawals from Binance moved to private wallets, hinting that holders are opting to store assets away from exchanges for longer holding periods.
Recent data reveals a rise in blockchain activity as well. The average number of daily active wallets climbed to roughly 35,700 in August, up from 26,400 in July. August 11 marked the highest on-chain activity since early June. The rate of new XRP address creation held steady at about 2,260 per day, suggesting that increased engagement stems mainly from existing participants rather than new entrants.
Key levels and technical outlookWith XRP’s realized price at approximately $0.75—below the spot price near $1.01—the token has yet to retest historically discounted levels seen at previous market cycle lows. Technically, XRP trades under its 50-day EMA at $1.09, 100-day EMA at $1.17, and 200-day EMA at $1.36. The Relative Strength Index stands at 36, below the neutral 50, and the MACD still points to negative momentum.
Analyst Diana identified support at $0.87, with a critical decision area between $0.77 and $0.80. Resistance is expected near $1.06, where roughly 3 billion XRP are positioned at their cost basis.
Cryptocurrency analyst Diana emphasizes that XRP’s next critical move hinges on active support zones around $0.87, with immediate resistance levels concentrated near $1.06 as large volumes gather at these price points.
If current supports persist, Diana’s upside targets range from $1.46 to $3.56–$3.66, approaching the prior all-time high. This outlook underscores the significance of monitoring price action closely, particularly as technical indicators reach pivotal levels.
In an environment where one Federal Reserve decision or a surprise altcoin listing can trigger rapid price swings, traders have become more attentive to real-time data and market alerts. Many investors are turning to privacy-first platforms such as CryptoAppsy, which provide live charting, portfolio monitoring, smart price notifications, coin-specific headlines, and macroeconomic data on a single interface—without requiring registration or account creation.

Morgan Stanley ve svém podání u SEC zveřejnila nové podíly ve třech XRP ETF a 50 540 akcií v SPAC Armada Acquisition Corp II spojeném s Evernorth Holdings. XRP ETF zároveň ve čtvrtek přilákaly čistý příliv 2,25 milionu USD.
Morgan Stanley disclosed new holdings in three XRP ETFs through a Q2 2026 SEC filing.
The bank also revealed 50,540 shares in Ripple backed Evernorth Holdings’ SPAC, Armada Acquisition Corp II.
The XRP ETF positions are small compared to Morgan Stanley’s other crypto investments.
Spot XRP ETFs saw 2.25 million dollars in inflows this week, though total assets under management dropped.
XRP price traded near 1.01 dollars with mixed signals in futures open interest.
Morgan Stanley has disclosed new holdings tied to XRP through a fresh regulatory filing. The investment bank revealed positions in three separate XRP exchange traded funds.
The disclosure came through a 13F filing for the second quarter of 2026, submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Morgan Stanley manages more than 1.9 trillion dollars in its investment portfolio.
The filing showed the bank holds 6,715 shares in Franklin’s XRP fund. It also listed 255 shares in the REX-Osprey XRP fund and 67 shares in the Bitwise XRP fund.

Q1: Volatility Shares XRP ETF (1,700 Shs),…
— Rednirav (@CryptoRednirav) August 14, 2026
Morgan Stanley’s Growing Crypto Exposure
These new positions follow a pattern from earlier in the year. In the first quarter of 2026, Morgan Stanley held Grayscale’s XRP fund and a Volatility Shares XRP fund.
That earlier disclosure led to speculation that Morgan Stanley might launch its own XRP fund. The bank had already rolled out Ethereum and Solana funds before that speculation began.
The XRP holdings remain small next to Morgan Stanley’s broader crypto book, which includes larger Bitcoin and Ethereum fund positions. Even so, the filing shows the bank continuing to build out its XRP exposure.
Morgan Stanley also disclosed 50,540 shares in Armada Acquisition Corp II, the SPAC partner working with Ripple backed Evernorth Holdings. This filing came one day after JPMorgan Chase reported its own holdings in a Bitwise XRP fund, a Grayscale XRP fund, and the Evernorth SPAC.
XRP ETF Flows and Price Action
Spot XRP ETFs in the US continue to draw interest from institutions. On Thursday, these funds recorded 2.25 million dollars in combined inflows.
Bitcoin funds saw redemptions on the same day. The Bitwise XRP fund was the only XRP product to post inflows.
Data from SoSoValue shows XRP funds have taken in 1.51 million dollars total since launch. Total assets under management fell to 942.25 million dollars, down from a peak above 1.25 billion dollars.
That drop happened even as banks like Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan added XRP exposure. The price of XRP has stayed fairly flat during this period.
XRP traded near 1.01 dollars over the past day. The 24 hour low was 0.998 dollars and the high was 1.01 dollars.
XRP Price on CoinGecko
Trading volume fell 22 percent over the same 24 hour window. The number of wallets holding more than one million XRP coins has grown.
Still, price forecasts point to selling pressure building near the 1 dollar mark. XRP needs to close above a key trendline resistance to change that outlook.
Futures data from Coinglass shows open interest fell 1.23 percent to 2.69 billion dollars. At the same time, open interest on the CME exchange rose 1.84 percent within a single hour, pointing to fresh institutional futures activity even as spot markets stayed quiet.
JPMorgan v Q2 výrazně zvýšil expozici vůči Bitcoin a Ethereum ETF. Zároveň se vrátil k XRP prostřednictvím dvou ETF pozic a nově přidal i Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL).
JPMorgan, with AUM of $5.1 trillion, has revealed its quarter two (Q2) report with the U.S SEC. Its latest SEC filing shows a sharp rise in Bitcoin exposure and a 338% jump in Ethereum ETF holdings.
The bank also returned to XRP through two ETF positions and added a new position in the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF.
JPMorgan Doubles Down on Bitcoin ETF ExposureAccording to JPMorgan’s Q2 2026 13F filing, the bank held a combined 10.4 million shares of BlackRock’s IBIT, worth about $355.7 million as of June 30. These shares appear across three separate IBIT fund entries in the filing and add up to the reported total.
That marks a sharp increase from the first quarter, when JPMorgan reported about 8.3 million IBIT shares worth nearly $162 million.
JPMorgan’s options position also shifted during the quarter. IBIT call options increased to 3.94 million, while put options dropped from 4.75 million to about 3.5 million.
The increase comes even as Bitcoin ETF flows have remained unstable. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $131.1 million in net outflows on Aug. 13, following a much larger $61.16 million outflow on Aug. 12.
Ethereum ETF Exposure Jumps 338%JPMorgan’s Q2 filing also showed a much larger position in BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA). The bank held nearly 1.17 million ETHA shares worth about $14.3 million, marking a 338% increase from the previous quarter.
The ETHA position shows that JPMorgan has increased its exposure to both Bitcoin and Ethereum through U.S.-listed ETF products.
However, the size of the Bitcoin position remains much larger. JPMorgan’s IBIT holdings are more than 20 times the value of its reported ETHA position.
JPMorgan Added XRP Back Through ETFsThe biggest surprise in the filing may be JPMorgan’s return to XRP.
The bank’s Q1 filing showed that its Bitwise XRP ETF position had fallen from 3,870 shares to zero. The latest filing reverses that move, showing fresh exposure through both the Bitwise XRP ETF and Grayscale XRP Trust ETF.
The Bitwise position was worth about $1,356, while the Grayscale XRP ETF holding was valued at roughly $3,763.
JPMorgan also reported 19,894 shares of Armada Acquisition Corp II, worth approximately $207,295. The company is linked to a Ripple-backed deal and trades under the XRPN ticker.
In addition, JPMorgan initiated a new position in the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL), holding roughly 47,500 shares.
The next 13F filing, expected in November, will show whether the bank continued adding Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP exposure during Q3 or reduced its positions.

The XRP Ledger's decentralized exchange is seeing a pickup in activity. Weekly DEX volume climbed 45% to $19.89 million, while daily transactions approached 3 million in the latest 24-hour window, with 48,403 active addresses recorded on the network.
Onchain Trading Still a Fraction of Total Volume Despite the uptick, XRPL's onchain trading remains a small slice of its overall market footprint. DEX activity accounts for roughly 0.04% of total $XRP volume when measured against centralized venues, underscoring how dominant exchange-based trading continues to be for the asset.
DeFi total value locked (TVL) on the ledger sits at $29.97 million, according to DefiLlama data. That figure is down sharply from a peak of nearly $120 million reached in July 2025, reflecting a broader pullback in locked liquidity even as transaction counts hold near multi-month highs.
Stablecoin Supply Nears $920 Million, RLUSD Dominant One area where XRPL continues to show structural growth is stablecoins. The chain's total stablecoin supply stands at $920 million, with Ripple's RLUSD accounting for 88% of that figure. DefiLlama data shows RLUSD dominance on XRPL at 88.39%, with the chain's stablecoin market cap near $925 million. The stablecoin's rapid rise tracks a broader expansion: supply on the XRP Ledger more than doubled since December 2025, reaching $568 million as of March before continuing higher.
The fee picture illustrates just how low-cost the network remains. Those 2.96 million daily transactions generated only $333 in chain fees over the same period, with app-level fees reaching $26,874, per DefiLlama. XRPL supports native tokenization through built-in ledger objects and includes a built-in decentralized exchange that automatically provides order-book-based liquidity for issued tokens. That low-cost design has helped the ledger attract stablecoin issuers and institutional settlement flows, even as DeFi TVL has yet to recover to prior highs.
The gap between XRPL's stablecoin footprint and its DeFi TVL points to a network where capital sits largely in transit or custody rather than deployed into lending or liquidity pools. Whether rising DEX volume and transaction counts can close that gap remains a key question for the ledger's onchain economy.

XRP Ledger přidal za poslední tři měsíce 32 nových milionářských adres, i když cena XRP ve stejném období klesla o 29 %. Síť zároveň zvýšila počet transakcí o 33 %.
XRP Ledger has added 32 new millionaire addresses in the past three months, according to data from blockchain analytics firm Santiment, defying the prevailing negative sentiment in the wider market.
XRP price and network activityDespite a 29% decline in XRP’s price during the same period, the number of high-value holders continues to climb. Santiment also indicated that XRP’s price recently hit its lowest level since 2024, testing a significant demand zone at $1.
Activity on the XRP Ledger has also surged, with a 33% increase in transaction count. On August 11, 2026, the network recorded its highest daily activity in six months, processing approximately 35,700 transactions per day, a sharp rise compared to July’s daily average of around 26,400.
While the price of XRP fell 29%, network activity on XRP Ledger jumped 33% in three months, hitting its busiest day in half a year on August 11, 2026.
However, this increase in transactions appears to stem primarily from existing XRP holders rather than new wallet creation. The data suggests that current investors are becoming more active, signaling ongoing engagement and possibly a shift toward a long-term holding strategy.
Trading volumes and market sentimentOn the technical front, XRP has remained within a falling wedge pattern between $1 and $3, typically suggesting a potential for future volatility. Analysts continue to watch closely to determine whether XRP will break upward or downward from this formation. Spot trading volumes remain relatively muted, with XRP posting $858 million in volume over a recent 24-hour period, according to CoinGecko.
Futures market activity paints a more dynamic picture. Leveraged traders drove $1.49 billion in 24-hour trading volume, heavily skewed toward long positions. However, the majority of liquidations affected bullish bets, with $1.77 million from a total of $1.85 million wiped out on the long side. The long-to-short ratio across the market now stands at 0.92, indicating more traders are wagering against a price increase.
MarketLong/Short Ratio24h Futures VolumeDaily Liquidations (Longs)Global0.92$1.49 billion$1.77 millionBinance3.0225N/AN/AIn contrast, Binance, one of the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges, recorded a significantly higher long-to-short ratio on XRP at 3.0225, suggesting greater bullish sentiment among its users. CoinGlass, a platform specializing in derivatives market data, provided these figures, indicating varying sentiment across exchanges.
Santiment’s report links the growth in high-value wallets to possible optimism over ongoing regulatory developments and potential for broader XRP adoption.

XRP will be distributed as weekly rewards to RLUSD holders every Friday.
Campaign Period: 2026-08-14 00:00 (UTC) - 2026-09-11 00:00 (UTC)
How to Participate:
Eligible users must hold RLUSD in balance (net assets), in any of the following account categories on Binance:
Earn Account (RLUSD in Flexible Savings);Margin Account (RLUSD in Cross Margin, Isolated Margin, or Portfolio Margin);
Eligible users will have to maintain at least 0.01 RLUSD in their Earn or Margin Accounts, and an average daily Margin or Futures trading volume of at least $500 on any trading pairs to qualify for rewards during the Reward Period.
Qualifying Trading Volume: $500 in Margin or Futures trading volume can be in any tokens, as long as users are using RLUSD as collateral.
RLUSD acquired by borrowing the other stablecoins will receive a haircut of 60%, after accounting for liabilities in Margin Accounts from other stablecoins, including USDT, USDC, U, USD1, and FDUSD.
Campaign Details:
Prize Pool: 1 million XRP tokens will be distributed over 4 weekly installments. Distribution: Rewards will be airdropped directly to eligible users’ Spot Accounts of their Binance master accounts. Distribution Frequency: Weekly airdrops during the Campaign Period.
Reward Distribution:
Rewards start accruing from 2026-08-14 00:00 (UTC). Weekly rewards will be distributed by 18:00 (UTC) every Friday in XRP tokens. Distribution records can be found in Distribution history.
The Weekly Reward Amount will be roughly calculated as follows:
Qualifying Balance of each day = the lowest RLUSD balance recorded across all hourly snapshots for that day.Weekly Rewards = (7-day average of the Qualifying Balance * Effective APR on the distribution day * 7) / 365
After each weekly distribution, the effective APR for that period will be updated in this announcement. In determining the effective APR on the distribution day, Binance will take into account a number of factors, including, without limitation:
Lowest balance of the snapshots each day;The daily aggregated amount of Qualifying Balances across all eligible holders of RLUSD;7-day average across all eligible holders of RLUSD
For RLUSD acquired through borrowing other stablecoins:
Eligible balance in Margin Account = RLUSD Balance Before Leverage + Leveraged Amount * (1 - 60%):
RLUSD Balance before Leverage = MAX [RLUSD Balance in Margin Account - Margin Account Liabilities of the Other Stablecoins, 0] Leveraged Amount = RLUSD Balance in Margin Account - MAX [RLUSD Balance in Margin Account - Margin Account Liabilities of the Other Stablecoins, 0]

Case examples:
User A holds 10,000 RLUSD as collateral in Margin throughout week 1, trades a total of $7,000 qualifying trading volume in Margin throughout week 1. Effective APR is 20%, User A's rewards due to be received at the end of week 1 will be as follows:$7,000 / 7 = $1,000 > $500, qualify for rewards. (10,000 * 20% * 7) / 365 = 38.35 USD worth of XRPUser B borrowed 5,000 RLUSD from VIP loan or Margin, which is treated as a “liability”. Among this borrowed 5,000 RLUSD, 4,000 RLUSD was used as collateral in Margin, the remaining 1,000 RLUSD was held in their EARN Account in week 1. The effective APR is 20%, User B’s rewards due to be received at the end of week 1 will be as follows:Qualifying Balance = 0 [(0 * 20% * 7) / 365] = 0 USD worth of XRPUser C traded a total of $7,000 qualifying trading volume in Margin throughout week 1. The user had 1,000 RLUSD in the Margin Account and used it as collateral to borrow 4,000 USDT through Margin (“Liabilities of the other Stablecoins”), then converted this 4,000 USDT to RLUSD. The user therefore holds 5,000 RLUSD in the Margin Account (“RLUSD Balance”) during week 1. The effective APR is 20%, User C’s rewards due to be received at the end of week 1 will be as follows:$7,000 / 7 = $1,000 > $500, qualify for rewards. Qualifying Balance = MAX [5,000 - 4,000, 0] + {5,000 - MAX[5,000 - 4,000, 0] } * (1 - 60%) = 1,000 + (5,000 - 1,000) * (1 - 60%) = 2,600(2,600 * 20% * 7) / 365 = 9.97 USD worth of XRP
Important Notes:
Users may not be eligible for rewards if there are active restrictions on their accounts.Sub-account trading volume and balances are aggregated at the Master Account level for calculation, and rewards are distributed only to the Master Account. For Broker accounts, the rewards will be distributed to virtual sub-accounts. Users’ RLUSD Qualifying Balance will be calculated as net assets (assets minus liabilities). RLUSD as liabilities (e.g., borrowed from VIP loans, Margin loan, etc) will be excluded from the Qualifying Balance for this campaign. Snapshots of user balances and total qualifying balances will be taken at any time during each hour to get users’ hourly balances in the above mentioned account categories. The lowest RLUSD balance captured during those snapshots on each day will constitute their Qualifying Balance and be used to calculate their rewardsFor example, a user’s lowest RLUSD balance captured on day 1 is zero, then their qualifying balance for that day is zero. At any snapshot time, any one of users’ supported assets must be greater than 0.01 RLUSD to be included in the calculation.Users are recommended to maintain their RLUSD holding throughout the Campaign Period to maximize their rewards. Qualifying Trading Volume is rounded up to the nearest whole number. If all of a user’s qualifying trading volume is recorded under a sub-account, and that sub-account is deleted on a given day, then the user’s qualifying trading volume for that day will be treated as zero.Rewards distributed are rounded down to 2 decimal places. Kindly note that the distribution time is not guaranteed and may change from time to time. There is no individual cap on rewards. Users’ rewards depend on their qualifying balance relative to the total qualifying balance of all eligible users and other factors.Stay tuned for weekly reward distributions and updates on the Campaign.
Terms and Conditions:
Users may not be eligible for rewards if there are active restrictions on their accounts.XRP token value for airdrop distribution will be based on the official Binance market closing price on the day before the airdrop distribution date.Snapshots of user balances and total pool balances will be taken multiple times at any point of time each hour to get users’ hourly balances in the abovementioned account categories. The lowest RLUSD balance captured during those snapshots on each day will constitute the user’s Qualifying Balance and be used to calculate their rewards. At any snapshot time, a user's balance must be greater than 0.01 RLUSD to be included in the calculation.Broker accounts are eligible for this campaign. The Ripple-backed firm claimed it has strengthened public investors’ positioning as it advances toward a Nasdaq listing. This structure is expected to reduce the total number of shares issued, focusing the company’s net asset value across fewer shares. This means each share will represent a larger portion of Evernorth’s XRP holdings.
The amendment is intended to maintain alignment between the company’s capitalization and the market value of its underlying XRP holdings at closing. It will be a volume-weighted average XRP price, rather than $2.36, as of when the merger agreement was signed.
“Tying the share count to XRP’s value at closing is the right thing to do for Evernorth and our investors,” said Asheesh Birla, founder and CEO of Evernorth Holdings.
Notably, Evernorth Holdings has raised over $1 billion from investors including Arrington Capital, SBI Group, Ripple, Pantera Capital, Kraken, and GSR, among others.
XRPN Stock Jumps
Armada Acquisition Corp II’s XRPN stock price has retained its upside momentum despite XRP price drops and Clarity Act delays. XRPN stock hits a new YTD high of $10.50 in premarket hours on Thursday.
The stock closed 0.19% higher at $10.48 on Wednesday. The intraday low and high were $10.45 and $10.49, respectively. Trading volume is also rebounding as Ripple-backed Evernorth Holdings nears a merger after finalizing employment agreements.
XRPN stock is up 2.54% year-to-date as investors await Armada Acquisition Corp’s stockholders and the SEC’s approval of the merger with Evernorth Holdings.
Nasdaq-listed stock has surged nearly 0.30% in the past month, with potential for further upside moves. The 52-week high is $10.91.

Meanwhile, XRP price is trading in the $1-1.02 range after falling more than 3% in a week. The price is currently trading at $1.01, down more than 1% over the past 24 hours.
Furthermore, trading volume has dropped further by 34% over the last 24 hours. However, institutions are increasing exposure via XRP ETFs. As CoinGape reported, JPMorgan revealed holdings in Bitwise and Grayscale XRP ETFs, along with Armada Acquisition Corp II.

XRP, the native token of the XRP Ledger, has attracted renewed attention from institutional investors, despite recently marking its lowest daily close amid sharp price declines. New data indicates that funds offering XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF) products have continued accumulating the digital asset, locking significant amounts out of general circulation.
XRP ETF accumulation surpasses 990 millionThe most recent figures from an ETF tracker show that seven XRP ETFs have collectively secured approximately 992.5 million XRP as of Thursday, August 13. This accumulation comes during a period marked by heightened volatility and a persistent downtrend in XRP’s market price.
Asset managers providing these ETF products have seen consistent growth in their holdings, despite a low or stagnating daily trading volume. In total, net inflows into all existing XRP ETFs have reached $1.51 billion, a figure highlighting sustained interest in XRP among institutional participants.
MetricValueTotal XRP locked in ETFs992.5 million XRPTotal net ETF inflows$1.51 billionNumber of XRP ETFs7Momentum slows amid market volatilityRecent trading sessions have shown a noticeable slowdown in momentum for XRP ETFs. During the last session, net inflows were reported at $0, indicating an absence of new capital being added to the products. Despite this stagnation, the overall assets under management remain substantial, pointing to resiliency among current investors.
With XRP’s price revisiting multi-year lows, fund managers appear to be maintaining their existing positions rather than actively expanding them. The persistence of already large holdings highlights a wait-and-see approach as the market searches for signs of renewed activity or reversal in price trends.
Investor demand drives narrative shiftLarge XRP transactions are typically associated with Ripple, a US-based fintech company known for developing payment solutions using blockchain technologies. Such movements often fuel speculation about their implications for XRP’s price and supply dynamics.
However, the recent accumulation of nearly 1 billion XRP through ETF products marks a notable departure from this pattern. Institutional demand, rather than direct action from Ripple, has been the driving force behind the token lock-ups, contributing to what some view as a more optimistic outlook for XRP’s adoption within ETF structures.
This shift has altered discussions in the community, as debates about Ripple’s influence take a backseat to conversations around growing investor interest in regulated XRP investment vehicles.
Mini dictionary: XRP ETF, an exchange-traded fund that tracks the price of XRP, enabling institutional or retail investors to gain exposure to XRP through regulated traditional markets without directly holding the asset.
Growing accumulation of XRP in ETF products has prompted a bullish narrative, as these inflows are being driven by institutional investor demand rather than direct action by Ripple.

EvernorthXRP, a Ripple-backed XRP treasury firm, has amended the terms of its SPAC merger with Armada Acquisition Corp. II. The change links the issuance of shares to the closing price of XRP rather than a fixed $2.36 reference. This adjustment in the merger terms suggests a move to align more closely with the token’s market value. The merger aims to list EvernorthXRP on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN. The firm has indicated plans to acquire at least 473 million XRP at the merger’s inception, with previous purchases reported at an average price of $2.54 per XRP.

Key Takeaways EvernorthXRP’s decision appears to align share issuance more closely with XRP’s market value, suggesting potential implications for XRP’s pricing dynamics. The market’s reaction to this amendment is currently muted, with XRP-related prediction markets indicating low probability of reaching higher price levels in August. The amendment suggests a possible anticipation of price fluctuations, which may influence market participants’ expectations and behaviors. What to Watch The amended merger terms could impact XRP’s market sentiment and pricing dynamics. Key developments to monitor include any regulatory updates from the SEC that could affect XRP, as well as broader crypto market movements. Watch for any major announcements from Ripple or EvernorthXRP that could serve as catalysts for XRP’s price movement. Additionally, sustained interest in XRP from institutional investors or changes in broader market conditions could further influence the outlook.

XRP has declined by 42% since the start of the year, despite a series of regulatory and institutional developments that were expected to bolster the cryptocurrency’s value.
Institutional access rises as legal challenges fadeFire Hustle, a crypto-focused analysis platform, highlighted that recent moves by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to drop its appeals have removed immediate legal uncertainties surrounding XRP.
Analyst Summer from Fire Hustle also pointed out the launch of seven funds centered on XRP operating in the United States, which have reportedly attracted $1.5 billion in inflows.
These developments have improved institutional access to XRP. With both regulatory concerns and access now less prominent, market observers are turning their attention to Ripple’s evolving product strategy for XRP.
XRP’s decline in 2024 has occurred even as seven US-based funds reportedly attracted $1.5 billion in investment and SEC legal appeals were dropped. However, questions are emerging over whether Ripple’s upcoming stablecoin could further limit XRP’s primary utility by offering a less volatile means for cross-border transactions.
Stablecoin launch may impact XRP’s utilityRipple, the US-based blockchain company behind XRP, is preparing to launch RLUSD, a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar. Market commentators raised concerns that RLUSD could reduce bank demand for XRP in cross-border settlement.
Historically, XRP has served as a bridge asset, enabling banks to transact value between different fiat currencies by purchasing XRP in one currency, transferring it, and then selling it in another currency market. This system relies on banks accepting XRP’s price volatility as part of the transaction process.
RLUSD’s stable value may appeal to institutions wishing to avoid the risks of price fluctuations. Instead of using XRP for settlements, banks could opt for RLUSD, bypassing direct exposure to crypto market volatility and minimizing risk during large transactions.
Mini dictionary: RLUSD, Ripple’s planned stablecoin, is a digital asset pegged to the US dollar and designed to offer low volatility for institutional cross-border payments. Stablecoins aim to maintain a consistent value, easing concerns over price swings during settlements and providing an alternative to traditional fiat or volatile cryptocurrencies.
Should RLUSD be widely adopted, the main mandatory use case for XRP could shrink to serving as a source of transaction fees, which remain quite minimal at approximately a thousandth of a cent per transaction.
Network activity rises but token demand questionedOn-chain activity on the XRP Ledger has surged recently, with daily transactions reportedly tripling to about 3 million. This uptick suggests growing network usage amid ongoing product development.
However, Fire Hustle emphasized the distinction between increased network transactions and direct demand for the XRP token. With the possible integration of stablecoins like RLUSD, much of the rising value transfer could occur without the need for XRP purchases beyond the small amount needed for fees.
Market participants remain attentive to whether banks and payment providers will favor traditional bridge assets like XRP or regulated dollar-backed tokens for cross-border transfers, as this could have a decisive impact on long-term token demand and prices.

Derive nově přijímá Flare’s FXRP jako kolaterál pro XRP opce a perpetual futures. Obchodníci mohou obchodovat přímo ze svých peněženek, přičemž opce se vypořádávají v USDC.
In brief Derive now accepts Flare’s FXRP as collateral for XRP options and perpetual futures. Users can trade through their own wallets without relying on a centralized exchange. Options settle in USDC, exposing traders to margin and liquidation risks. XRP holders can now use Flare’s FXRP as collateral to trade options and perpetual futures on decentralized exchange Derive, Flare announced on Thursday.
According to Flare, users mint FXRP, a token representing XRP on the Flare blockchain, through its FAssets bridge that converts tokens like Bitcoin, XRP, and Dogecoin into ERC-20 tokens on the Flare network. They can then deposit the token into a Derive Portfolio Margin V2 account and trade derivatives from their own wallets.
Myriad: XRP price next move? Click to make your prediction.Options give traders the right to buy or sell an asset at a set price. Perpetual futures allow them to bet on price movements without an expiration date. XRP holders can use the products to hedge against losses, earn premiums by selling options, or speculate on the token’s price.
“Options are often the last major market to develop around an asset, and XRP has been waiting for the infrastructure,” founder and CEO of Derive, Nick Forster, said in a statement. “FXRP gives one of crypto’s largest holder bases a credible path onchain, and adding Derive’s options markets means that capital can now be hedged, used to earn premium and traded with the same sophistication available around other major assets.”
Derive’s XRP options settle in USDC rather than XRP. If an option expires at a profit, Derive pays the difference in the dollar-pegged stablecoin while the FXRP remains posted as collateral. Options sellers must hold enough USDC to cover settlement and maintain the required margin or risk liquidation.
The integration broadens FXRP’s use in decentralized finance. Earlier this month, FXRP was approved as collateral in DeFi risk management firm Sentora’s RLUSD Main vault on the Ethereum-based lending protocol Morpho. That service allows XRP holders to bridge FXRP to Ethereum and borrow Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin without selling their XRP.

Ripple has cast its vote in favor of the fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment on the $XRP Ledger, giving the XRPL 3.3.0 upgrade its first significant endorsement from one of the network's primary contributors.
What the fixCleanup3_3_0 Amendment Covers The fixCleanup3_3_0 proposal is a bundled maintenance package that addresses targeted fixes across several protocol areas, including Single Asset Vaults, the Lending Protocol, Automated Market Makers (AMMs), Checks, and pseudo-accounts. It is one of six amendments introduced alongside the 3.3.0 release, which also includes Confidential Transfer, BatchV1_1, DynamicMPT, PermissionDelegationV1_1, and Sponsor.
Beyond the amendments themselves, the 3.3.0 release brings meaningful performance improvements. Developers have flagged a reduction in memory usage of between 10% and 15%, better online delete and node sync performance, and roughly 60 bug fixes identified through an internal AI red team process.
What Has to Happen Before Mainnet Activation Ripple's vote carries weight as an early signal, but it does not determine the outcome alone. Eight of the 35 Unique Node List (UNL) validators currently support the fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment. Mainnet activation requires the proposal to hold more than 80% validator support, equivalent to at least 28 of 35 UNL validators, for two consecutive weeks before the changes take effect permanently on the network.
That governance structure is standard for the XRP Ledger. Once an amendment clears the 80% threshold for the required two-week period, the change applies permanently to all subsequent ledger versions. Validators make independent decisions, and the proposal can fail or be delayed if support drops below the threshold at any point during that window.
Node operators face a practical deadline tied to the process. Any server that has not upgraded to xrpld 3.3.0 before the amendments activate risks becoming amendment-blocked, a status that cuts the node off from consensus and prevents it from reading or submitting new transactions.
The broader 3.3.0 upgrade is positioned as a step toward institutional readiness for the XRP Ledger, with features spanning privacy for tokenized assets, atomic transaction batching, delegated account permissions, and sponsored network fees.

In major XRP news today, Ripple moved a significant amount of XRP coins to Binance crypto exchange. On-chain transaction data revealed transfers to a Ripple subwallet, followed by further transfers to Binance subwallets. This comes amid selling pressure in XRP price.
Ripple Moves Some XRP to Binance, Sparking Jitters Whale Alert flagged a major XRP transfer that highlighted Ripple moving 50 million XRP worth over $50 million. This sparked massive speculation within the XRP community amid a recent drop in price.
On-chain analysis on XRPScan revealed Ripple (50) wallet moved XRP to its subwallet raRVLN1. This indicates it is an internal transfer.
However, shortly after the transaction, the same wallet distributed some coins, primarily 1,000,000 XRP per transaction, to rBNCyN wallet address. The wallet is associated with Binance crypto exchange.
Notably, the Ripple-linked wallet has also sent 23 million XRP in total to rBNCyN wallet this week, which were then transferred to Binance (11).

New force behind institutional XRP accumulationAt the same time, 13F filings revealed a "changing of the guard" among XRP holders. Major first-wave players led by Goldman Sachs, which held positions worth more than $150 million around the turn of 2025–2026, had reduced or fully exited them by the summer, locking in profits.
However, they were replaced by a group of midsize asset managers and family offices, including Arax Advisory Partners, Gerber, Vista Finance and Gallacher Capital.

Ripple může pokračovat v institucionální expanzi i přes další zpoždění amerického CLARITY Act. Firma už má podmíněně schválenou národní trust bank charter od OCC.
Ripple could move ahead with its institutional strategy even as the CLARITY Act faces fresh delays in the US Senate, according to leading crypto researcher SMOKE. SMOKE emphasized that while ongoing regulatory uncertainty poses challenges for digital assets, Ripple’s expansion need not remain on hold.
Alternative regulatory pathwaysThe CLARITY Act is a proposed bill that would create comprehensive digital asset regulations in the US, including clearer guidance on token classification and expanded federal oversight. Although such legislation could offer crucial certainty to the entire crypto industry, analysts point out that it is not the exclusive path to regulatory legitimacy for blockchain firms.
Ripple, a US-based blockchain payments company best known for its XRP token, has already secured a conditional national trust bank charter from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). The OCC granted this approval in December 2025, paving the way for Ripple to potentially operate as a federally supervised trust bank.
Mini dictionary: Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), a US federal agency that supervises and regulates national banks and federal savings associations, ensuring their soundness and compliance with federal laws.
A federally licensed trust bank structure could position Ripple more strongly with regulated financial businesses. This development could be especially relevant for institutional custody, stablecoin issuance, and RLUSD reserve management—key areas for the company’s growth outside traditional payments.
Conditional progress and broader industry impactSMOKE maintains that if Congress continues to stall on the CLARITY Act, Ripple’s conditional OCC charter can still serve as an important avenue for regulatory advancement. However, the approval remains provisional, meaning Ripple does not yet function as a fully established national bank. Moreover, OCC oversight applies specifically to Ripple’s trust bank, and cannot replace broad industrywide rules that only federal legislation can deliver.
Both the CLARITY Act and the OCC charter could ultimately complement each other. The former would address digital asset regulation at the national level, while the latter offers Ripple a firm-specific regulatory path. Ripple could stand to benefit if both initiatives move forward, gaining both market clarity and an upgraded regulatory infrastructure.
InitiativeScopeStatusPotential Benefit for RippleCLARITY ActAll US digital asset companiesDelayed in US SenateClear federal rules for industryOCC CharterRipple-specificConditionally approved (Dec 2025)Federal trust bank operationsUS regulatory outlook and ongoing expansionMeanwhile, the US Securities and Exchange Commission is evaluating new regulatory strategies for digital assets. Lawmakers are expected to revisit the CLARITY Act after the Congressional recess in August, but prospects for swift passage remain uncertain as attention turns to September.
SMOKE describes Ripple’s regulatory strategy as multi-pronged, arguing that the company can keep building across payments, stablecoins, tokenization, and custody, regardless of congressional delays.
Despite legislative uncertainty, XRP adoption and Ripple’s infrastructure development can continue. The company’s expansion in institutional sectors and cross-border transactions could drive new opportunities for both XRP and the XRP Ledger network.
Ripple’s path is not contingent on the CLARITY Act passing. Should federal crypto legislation advance, Ripple could eventually benefit from having both a broader regulatory framework and its own bank charter. Until then, the company can pursue its ambitions and the use of XRP does not need to pause.

Ripple má ve Velké Británii autorizaci FCA, což může podpořit širší tokenizaci zlata na XRP Ledgeru. Assetiko už na síti spustilo zajištěný pool v hodnotě 3,08 milionu USD.
Tokenizing precious metals on public blockchains has gained momentum in 2026. Ripple‘s XRP Ledger, known for its speed and cost-effectiveness in cross-border payments, was an early entrant in this trend. In 2024, Meld Gold, a specialist in digital gold products, introduced the first batch of tokenized gold shares on the XRP Ledger. Despite this innovation, the amount of gold involved remains modest, with about 1,000 ounces accounting for a few million dollars in assets.
Assetiko expands XRP Ledger tokenizationFollowing Meld Gold’s initiative, Assetiko, a digital asset tokenization platform with a larger gold reserve, implemented a similar strategy. The company released approximately 1,524 certified ounces of gold, establishing an XRP-based collateral pool valued at $3.08 million. Assetiko’s move signaled an ambition for larger-scale tokenization, raising the prospect of multi-billion dollar on-chain gold reserves if broader institutional adoption occurs within the UK.
Crypto analyst SMQKE examined this dynamic and highlighted the connection between ongoing tokenization efforts and new regulatory developments in the UK. SMQKE stated on X that XRP Ledger has the capabilities to tokenize gold and emphasized that Ripple operates as an FCA-authorized fintech firm in the country.
SMQKE observed that Ripple holds formal FCA authorization in the UK, which enables XRP Ledger to potentially support large-scale gold tokenization projects within the United Kingdom’s financial system.
Mini dictionary: FCA (Financial Conduct Authority), the financial regulatory body in the United Kingdom, oversees the conduct of financial services firms and markets to ensure integrity and protect consumers.
Potential UK gold market transformationThe United Kingdom’s Financial Conduct Authority reportedly is considering plans to allow over 70% of the country’s gold reserves to be moved on-chain. The objective is to strengthen London’s position in global gold trading and respond to increased competition from markets in Shanghai and Hong Kong. If the FCA advances this initiative and leverages the XRP Ledger, tokenization efforts could scale from millions to billions of dollars, fundamentally altering gold reserve management in the region.
A decision by the UK to deploy a large portion of its gold reserves on-chain would mark a major institutional endorsement for XRP Ledger and the broader blockchain-based asset tokenization sector. The integration of gold tokenization infrastructure is projected to move significant capital into the digital asset space, making practical factors such as user adoption and operational scalability the next hurdles for progress.

With established regulatory backing, Ripple is positioned to support a potential transition toward tokenized assets in the UK. As regulatory and technical questions give way to considerations of demand, market adoption will determine the pace and scale of blockchain-based gold reserves in the United Kingdom.
Ripple’s recent regulatory approvals have paved the way for integrated growth of payment services and asset tokenization initiatives across the UK financial sector.

The Department of Labor Statistics is due to release July inflation data. (Department of Labor)Summary
This is an excerpt from CoinDesk newsletter 'Daybook.' Sign up here, if you haven't already.
Wednesday’s big story is XRP (XRP), the payments-focused cryptocurrency. Not only did a bridge linking to the XRP Ledger experience an exploit early today, but the token price also hovers near a level that, if breached, could embolden bears.
That level is $1. Prices briefly fell to 99 cents on some exchanges on Tuesday and, while they quickly recovered, the bounce looked to have stalled near $1.02. XRP has lagged behind bitcoin and the broader market recovery in recent days.
What’s more, open interest in XRP futures has risen to 2.67 billion XRP ($2.73 billion), the most since October, from 2.25 billion XRP at the start of the month. This buildup of leverage while XRP trades at this price points to potential volatility.
That means XRP is more vulnerable than other major cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin BTC$63,704.66, ether ETH$1,893.43 and solana (SOL) to the U.S. CPI release later today. A hotter-than-forecast reading would strengthen bets on Fed interest-rate increases and drive already-buoyant Treasury yields higher, creating headwinds for risk assets.
Forecasts point to 0.1% month-on-month growth in the headline CPI for July, up from June’s –0.4% reading. The year-on-year figure is expected at 3.4%, down from 3.5%, and annual core CPI inflation is seen dropping to 2.5% from 2.6%.
According to ING, a softer-than-expected print could weaken the dollar, an outcome that could bode well for the crypto market.
In bitcoin’s case, traders are hoping the report will push the price out of its recent trading range of $62,000 to $66,000. However, the way BTC options are currently priced suggests low expectations for CPI-driven fireworks.
Markus Thielen, founder of 10x Research, said the market is pricing a post-CPI swing of just 1.3%, which is nothing out of the ordinary.
Data tracking website Laevitas made a similar observation: “7d ATM IV [implied volatility] has compressed to 29.1v on BTC and 41.2v on ETH even as a binary July print lands inside the weekly window, so the term structure is declining to price the event risk that sits directly on the tape,” Laevitas said on X.
The fact that expectations remain low could be just the setup for markets to be surprised into action by a potential big beat or miss in the inflation figures. Stay alert!

The token’s price peaked above $3.50 in July last year and has been declining ever since. It is now hovering close to $1. A drop under this level would be the first since November 2024, when Donald Trump won the presidential election.
In that case, the July 2023 high of 92 cents, where buyers ran out of steam, could now act as support on the way lower. If that level gives way, the next potential support is seen directly at around 50 cents.

From 2014 to 2017, XRP saw relatively modest trading activity. Volume spiked dramatically in 2017 as the broader crypto market experienced a rally. A similar surge occurred in 2021, establishing new peaks for XRP’s trading volume.
Recent data for 2026 shows a steady decline, with current volumes matching the subdued levels seen nearly a decade ago. This drop-off comes even as XRP’s price remains stable around $1.
Most market observers interpret the quiet as a lack of interest, but new factors are limiting how much XRP remains available for regular trading.
Dark Defender argued that the reduction in trading activity is not solely due to fading interest, but also reflects changes in XRP’s circulating supply and market dynamics.
One of the main drivers behind the lower trading volume appears to be a sharp decline in XRP held on exchanges. Dark Defender reported that tracked exchange reserves fell from 4 billion XRP to 1.6 billion XRP—settling at an eight-year low. This reduction significantly diminishes the amount of token readily available for active trading.
Additionally, data shows that 992 million XRP are allocated to US spot ETFs. According to Dark Defender, these holdings are effectively removed from regular market circulation, lowering overall liquidity.
A further development highlighted by the analyst is the launch of a $280 million RLUSD vault which now accepts XRP as loan collateral. The facility is projected to grow, potentially encompassing up to 5 billion XRP within six months.
These shifts suggest that a considerable share of XRP is being parked for investment vehicles and collateralized lending, leaving less supply for day-to-day exchange on open markets.
MetricPrevious ValueCurrent ValueXRP exchange reserves4 billion XRP1.6 billion XRPXRP in US ETFs—992 million XRPXRP collateral in RLUSD vault—Potential 5 billion XRP (projected)Dark Defender believes these factors are fundamentally changing the nature of trading activity for the token.
Tokenization accelerates on XRP LedgerDark Defender also pointed to the expanding role of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) on the XRP Ledger. The analyst noted that $4.3 billion in tokenized assets are now live on the platform, marking a 59-fold increase since January 2025. This growth signals the rising importance of asset tokenization in the ecosystem.
The XRP Ledger is an open-source blockchain developed by Ripple for fast, low-cost global payments. Its support for tokenizing real-world assets lets financial institutions and investors create digital representations of traditional assets directly on the blockchain.
Mini dictionary: Tokenization of real-world assets (RWA): The process of creating blockchain-based digital tokens that represent ownership of physical or traditional financial assets, allowing for increased liquidity and programmable use cases.
According to Dark Defender, this trend accelerates the shift in XRP’s market structure toward long-term holding and specific utility, rather than frequent trading. “Volume dies when coins stop changing hands,” the analyst wrote, suggesting that today’s low volumes should be read in the context of these broader changes.
XRP could increasingly serve as collateral for borrowing, rather than being constantly bought and sold.
As more XRP is locked away for collateral or investment vehicles, the analyst believes volume deserves close attention going forward, especially as the token remains around the psychologically important $1 threshold.

XRP Ledger Aktivitesinde Ne Kadar Gerileme Var?

Morgan, Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s Mosaic platform, LSEG a další velké finanční systémy. Nové Digital Asset Accounts umožňují firmám spravovat XRP a RLUSD vedle tradičních měn v jednom treasury systému.
Ripple Treasury, a platform designed by blockchain payments company Ripple to facilitate the movement of digital and traditional assets for corporates, is now connected to a growing roster of major financial infrastructure providers. These connections include prominent names such as Fides, SWIFT, J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s Mosaic platform, KYOS, NDepth, Treasury Strategies, Curinos, Infor, Fenics Market Data, Refinitiv, London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), FTI Treasury, FTI Consulting, and C2FO.
The companies behind the networkThese companies are integral to the mechanics of global corporate finance. Their services span bank connectivity, cash and investment management, market data, working capital solutions, and corporate accounting. Institutions such as SWIFT, the global provider of secure financial messaging services, and J.P. Morgan, one of the largest banks worldwide, manage critical components of daily financial operations for corporations.
X Finance Bull, a crypto market analyst active on X, described these organizations as representing the “plumbing” of corporate finance, underscoring the significance of their integration with Ripple Treasury. He stated the embedded connections mean treasury teams are able to work with Ripple’s technology within the familiar architectures they already use, reducing friction in adoption.
X Finance Bull noted that market participants may underestimate how extensively Ripple has integrated XRP into the existing financial ecosystem, arguing that these connections position XRP at the heart of day-to-day corporate finance operations.
Digital Asset Accounts and new treasury capabilitiesRipple Treasury introduced native Digital Asset Accounts in 2026, giving corporate clients the ability to manage XRP and RLUSD alongside traditional currencies, within the same treasury systems. This development enables organizations to value, track, and settle digital asset balances without requiring separate infrastructure or parallel workflows.
By keeping digital asset accounts within existing systems, finance teams streamline their operations and avoid the complexity of operating multiple accounting environments. This move positions Ripple Treasury as an all-in-one hub for managing both digital and fiat assets.
Mini dictionary: RLUSD – RLUSD is a digital dollar-backed stablecoin issued by Ripple. It is designed for use within Ripple’s ecosystem to enable instant, low-cost transactions and settlements across borders.
Expanding cross-border finance optionsRipple Treasury now supports workflows where companies can convert fiat money into digital assets, transfer them using blockchain infrastructure, and reconvert into destination currencies. XRP is positioned as the core bridge asset for global liquidity, enabling these seamless currency flows without direct reliance on traditional correspondent banking.
X Finance Bull has pointed to this mechanism as a key catalyst for XRP’s role in global finance, explaining that bridging traditional and crypto settlement rails addresses a long-standing pain point for multinational organizations.
The ability to route payments through XRP liquidity pools and convert between fiat and digital assets within one integrated system marks what market commentators see as a turning point in institutional digital finance.
Enabling two systems to meetRipple Treasury’s design allows corporations to adopt crypto settlement capabilities without abandoning their established finance systems. Bank integrations continue to operate as before. At the same time, XRP-powered liquidity and blockchain transaction finality become available as an additional settlement option.
Sitting between traditional banking platforms and decentralized finance infrastructure, Ripple Treasury bridges two worlds. This enables more companies to experiment with and gradually adopt blockchain-based payments, using the partners and workflows they already trust.
With major financial providers now integrated, Ripple’s ecosystem could give XRP a distribution channel that leverages the reach of the world’s leading treasury, market data, and cash management platforms.

Aviva Investors tokenizovala svůj dolarový likviditní fond na XRP Ledger v rámci partnerství se společností Ripple. Firma spravuje přes 30 miliard GBP a s Ripple bude do roku 2026 zkoumat další možnosti tokenizace.
The XRP Ledger is gaining fresh attention as Ripple expands its work with traditional finance, while Digital Asset CEO Yuval Rooz warns that crypto networks will eventually be judged by the utility and revenue they create. At the same time, banks are already using public blockchain infrastructure without waiting for the US Clarity Act.
Ripple Pushes XRP Ledger Into Traditional FinanceAviva Investors has tokenized its US dollar liquidity fund on the XRP Ledger as part of its partnership with Ripple. The firm manages over £30 billion in liquidity strategies and will work with Ripple through 2026 to explore more tokenization opportunities. The company stated tokenization does not change a fund’s underlying assets, NAV or risk profile.
It simply records ownership digitally, which could make transactions faster and more efficient. The move shows growing interest in using the XRP Ledger for real-world assets and traditional finance.
Banks Are Already Using Public ChainsThe discussion also pushed back against the idea that banks must wait for the US Clarity Act before using public blockchain networks. Rooz said banks are already using public chains, including Canton.
He noted that around 50 vendors are preparing applications for Canton ahead of the DTCC’s planned production launch in October. He also pointed to the scale of US financial markets, with equities and Treasuries together approaching $70 trillion, arguing that the industry should think beyond crypto’s current billion-dollar TVL figures.
Utility Could Separate Winners From LosersRooz further warned that many crypto networks have valuations disconnected from the actual economic activity they generate. He argued that networks making promises without delivering useful products could eventually lose most of their value.
Hyperliquid was presented as an example of a network generating revenue and using it to burn tokens, creating a model closer to a profitable public company returning value through buybacks.
He also criticized changing industry narratives, noting how crypto shifted from permissionless systems toward privacy and control. According to Rooz, maintaining a consistent product strategy helped his company nearly triple its valuation over 24 months, even while the broader market declined around 40% over the past year.
The latest funding round was led by Andreesen Horowitz and included Apollo, CME, HSBC, SoFi, SBI Japan and Hana Bank Korea, with Shinhan Financial Group joining at the last moment after the round became oversubscribed.
According to him, the company still has substantial work ahead to deliver on its projects and maintain that growth.

XRP dnes poprvé od listopadu 2024 klesl pod 1 USD, když na Binance zaznamenal intradenní minimum 0,99 USD. Pokles přišel po zprávě o odčerpání 200 000 XRP z Coreum bridge.
The XRP token, associated with Ripple Labs, slipped under the $1 mark today for the first time since November 2024. Data from Binance, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, showed that XRP reached an intraday low of $0.99 at 14:58 UTC.
Coreum bridge incident linked to price dropThe latest decline in the price of XRP followed the news that 200,000 XRP tokens were removed from the Coreum cross-chain bridge. This incident raised security concerns among market participants and appeared to contribute to bearish sentiment.
Coreum operates as an independent blockchain focused on cross-chain DeFi solutions, facilitating asset transfers between different blockchain networks.

XRP futures and CPI event spur volatilityElevated activity has been observed in the XRP derivatives market, with XRP futures experiencing a rapid double-digit percentage increase within a short timeframe. This spike in trading volume has been attributed in part to anticipation surrounding the upcoming US Consumer Price Index (CPI) release scheduled for Wednesday.
The CPI, a key macroeconomic indicator, often influences the broader cryptocurrency market as traders adjust their positions based on expectations for interest rates and economic outlook.
Market participants continued to monitor XRP’s price action closely in the lead-up to the CPI release, with some analysts noting that macroeconomic data remains a primary catalyst for digital asset volatility in the current environment.
Underperformance against Bitcoin and ecosystem updatesXRP has faced a challenging year, down approximately 46% so far in 2024 despite a series of notable project milestones. Against Bitcoin, the token has lost around 31% of its value over the same period, reflecting broader underperformance versus the leading cryptocurrency.
Recently, XRP became available to traders in the United Kingdom through the Robinhood platform, expanding retail access. Products tied to XRP have also shown small but consistent inflows over the last two months, indicating some continued investor interest.
Asset2024 YTD ChangePerformance vs. BitcoinXRP-46%-31%BitcoinVaries (not specified)ReferenceRipple and XRPL developmentsRipple Labs, the fintech company behind XRP, recently obtained full Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) authorization in Europe. The company also introduced the XRPL Lending Protocol in June and launched an AI Starter Kit supporting x402-powered payments as part of the XRP Ledger (XRPL) ecosystem’s diversification beyond payments alone.
Despite these advances, XRP’s price has not responded with significant upward movement. Analysts point to the substantial holdings controlled by Ripple as a persistent source of supply pressure that may hamper the token’s price recovery even in the face of positive developments.
Ripple’s ecosystem has continued to evolve with regulatory approvals and technological upgrades, yet XRP’s price remains under strain due to market supply dynamics and lingering uncertainty.

Jim Ferraioli (@jimferraioli), Director of Digital Currencies Research and Strategy at the Schwab Center for Financial Research, has offered a pointed view on how major blockchain networks are carving out distinct roles in crypto. Speaking on the Thinking Crypto podcast, he said the XRP Ledger is making the shift from a payments network to more of a stablecoin transaction network.
Each chain finds its niche Ferraioli discussed how different blockchain networks are specializing in distinct use cases as the crypto industry consolidates, noting that he thinks everyone is going to find their niche. In his framework, Ethereum remains the dominant general-purpose smart-contract blockchain for tokenized real-world assets, while Solana aligns more with active trading due to its high transaction throughput. Tron, meanwhile, was described as a pure stablecoin play. The comments reflect a broader institutional view that blockchain competition is increasingly about specialization rather than winner-takes-all dominance.
$RLUSD supply tilts toward XRPL On-chain data backs up Ferraioli's characterization. @Ripple has gradually shifted its attention to the XRP Ledger by reducing $RLUSD supply on Ethereum and increasing it on XRPL, achieved through large token burns on Ethereum alongside substantial minting activity on the XRP Ledger. The shift marks a significant change from RLUSD's launch in December 2024, when most of the stablecoin's supply was on Ethereum.
$RLUSD supply on the XRP Ledger overtook Ethereum on June 26, 2026, and has held the lead since. As of July 11, the XRP Ledger held about 863.2 million RLUSD versus Ethereum's 676.1 million, a 56.1% to 43.9% split, according to DefiLlama on-chain data. Current figures cited in the original report place $RLUSD supply at $818 million on XRPL against $681 million on Ethereum, with the roughly $1.5 billion total shrinking since June as Ripple continued burning on Ethereum and minting on XRPL. With XRPL now holding the largest share of the RLUSD supply, the data provide a concrete example of the stablecoin-focused evolution Ferraioli described.

National Bank of Canada v podání SEC uvedla držbu XRP ETF a ETF na Bitcoin v hodnotě zhruba 6,98 milionu USD. Největší expozice byla v ProShares Bitcoin ETF za asi 5,31 milionu USD.
National Bank of Canada just revealed that it holds millions of dollars in crypto ETFs, such as an XRP ETF, and several Bitcoin ETFs, in its latest SEC Form 13F filing. The disclosure follows the Grayscale’s XRP Trust ETF reports considerable XRP sales in the initial half of 2026.
National Bank of Canada Reports XRP ETF, Bitcoin ETF Holdings The filing reveals that National Bank had 3,848 shares in the Bitwise XRP ETF, worth about $330,000 at the date of the filing. It was announced in conjunction with the bank’s investments in several Bitcoin exchange-traded products.
The largest exposure to cryptocurrencies that National Bank reported was in the ProShares Bitcoin ETF, which consisted of 42,321 shares valued at about $5.31 million.
The bank also owned 55,644 shares of the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund worth approximately $1.09 million. It had 6,831 shares of the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust ETF, representing around $150,000 in Grayscale Bitcoin exposure.
The submission also revealed 2,596 shares of the Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust ETF with a reported value of approximately $100,000.
The combined value of the disclosed holdings in both XRP and Bitcoin is approximately $6.98 million, as per the filing’s values.
Grayscale XRP ETF Sells $180M In XRP The institutional disclosure follows Grayscale’s XRP Trust ETF disclosure of massive XRP sales.
According to recent filings, Grayscale has sold $180.78 million worth of XRP in the first half of 2026. These transactions were comprised of approximately 103.41 million XRP to satisfy investor redemptions.
The sales also impacted the trust’s NAV since the price of XRP has been falling during the same time. Grayscale reported over $34 million of realized losses on the sale of XRP.

Two days after the incident, it emerged that the Coreum cross-chain bridge lost around 200,000 XRP during a 97-minute attack. Initial theories on social media linked the incident to a vulnerability in the XRP Ledger's "rippling" function.
However, an analytical report from xrpl.to showed that the bridge effectively robbed itself by blindly trusting the attacker's transactions.
How 200,000 XRP got lostNative XRP has no issuer or trust lines, so rippling is technically impossible for it. Moreover, every malicious payment was signed using the bridge's own legitimate multisignature, with a quorum of 17 out of 28 relayer keys, or validators. The hacker did not compromise the keys but simply created the illusion of a deposit for the validators.
HOT Stories
First, the attacker moved their own wrapped tokens, or wrapped-CORE, between wallets they controlled, with a memo containing transfer details for Coreum attached to these transactions. Because the wrapped tokens had been issued by the bridge itself, the transfers appeared in its transaction history without any problems.
Transaction mechanism analysis of the Coreum bridge exploit on the XRP Ledger, Source: xrpl.toThis was where the system's blind spot came into play. The relayer operators checked only whether a transfer had occurred and what was written in the memo field, while completely ignoring the recipient address.
A check confirming that the funds had actually been sent to the bridge's wallet had simply never been added to the relayer code.
As a result, Coreum accepted the fake deposits and credited the hacker with a balance on its network. The attacker then requested a regular withdrawal, and the validators signed the transactions sending 200,000 real XRP from the bridge's XRPL wallet without hesitation.

The team responsible for the bridge's security has a long history of rebranding. It initially created the Sologenic (SOLO) project on the XRPL, then launched its own Layer 1 blockchain, Coreum, and in March 2026 merged both ecosystems under the U.S. brand TX, focused on the tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs).
The fact that a regulated U.S. company claiming institutional status could make such a basic mistake in its cross-chain verification logic damages TX's reputation more than the amount lost.
It moves the question of who is to blame from the realm of a random bug to that of systemic quality control within the company.
What is happening to the tokens now?At the time of writing, the TX team had still not released an official post-mortem report. The Coreum bridge remained completely suspended.
The hacker's identity remains unknown, but on-chain trackers are already seeing a classic attempt to cover their tracks. The stolen XRP is being rapidly distributed through a chain of transit wallets that were created a month and a half before the attack.
TLDR XRP traded near $1.03 to $1.04 on August 10, 2026, staying above its $1.00 support level. The CLARITY Act vote has been pushed to mid-September, removing a near-term catalyst. Whales added more than 380 million XRP in the past seven days, bringing total holdings to about 8.1 billion tokens. US-listed XRP spot ETFs hold close to $1 billion in assets, with $1.51 billion in cumulative inflows. Aviva Investors tokenized its USD Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger, adding to rising institutional activity. XRP traded between $1.03 and $1.04 on August 10, 2026. The token has held above its $1.00 support level for 632 straight days.
That streak started in November 2024, after the SEC dismissed its case against Ripple Labs. Since then, $1.00 has acted as a floor during both rallies and pullbacks.
The main event traders were watching, the CLARITY Act vote, has now moved to around September 15. The bill needs 60 votes to advance, and Senate Majority Leader John Thune scheduled it after the August recess.
Grayscale research chief Zach Pandl said the odds of the bill passing in 2026 look thin given election-year politics. That leaves XRP without a clear regulatory catalyst for now.
Whale Buying and ETF Flows Large XRP holders bought more than 380 million tokens over the past week. Total whale holdings now sit near 8.1 billion XRP, about 13% of the circulating supply.
XRP Price on CoinGecko On-chain tracker RippleXity said this buying has concentrated around the $1.00 level. US spot XRP ETFs now hold close to $1 billion in assets, with $1.51 billion in inflows since launch.
Momentum readings differ depending on the source. One daily RSI reading sits in the high 30s to 40, while a separate Coinglass-based reading puts XRP’s RSI near a neutral 50, lower than Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and BNB, which all look overbought.
A liquidation heatmap from Coinglass shows a cluster of orders built up between $1.06 and $1.07 this week. That cluster formed even as price dipped toward $1.00.
Institutional Activity on XRPL Aviva Investors posted on X, through the account BankXRP, that it tokenized its USD Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger. The post said the fund now offers a tokenized share class aimed at institutional investors.
Real-world asset value on XRPL has grown more than 28% over the past 30 days. Stablecoin market cap on the network rose over 12% in 24 hours, pushing total stablecoin value close to $1 billion.
Analyst Ali Martinez pointed to a Tom DeMark Sequential buy signal on XRP’s monthly chart. He said a monthly close above $1.06 could open a path toward $1.35 and then $1.64.

Analyst Dark Defender flagged an oversold RSI reading after last week’s dip, calling it a possible setup for a sharp bounce once price clears $1.05. Crypto commentator Gerla said a reclaim of $1.08 could trigger a fast reversal higher.
XRP still trades below its 50-day EMA near $1.10, its 100-day EMA near $1.18, and its 200-day EMA near $1.37. All three sit above current price.
Traders are also watching two macro events this week. US inflation data for July lands August 12, followed by remarks from Cleveland Fed President Beth Hammack and Richmond Fed President Thomas Barkin on August 13.
Ripple podpořil dva návrhy XRP Ledgeru, XLS-65 a XLS-66, které mají v protokolu zavést single-asset vaulty a pevné institucionální půjčky. Aktivace ale vyžaduje přes 80% podporu validátorů dva týdny po sobě.
Ripple has voted to support two XRP Ledger amendments designed to introduce single-asset vaults and fixed-term institutional lending directly at the network’s protocol level.
Summary
Ripple’s validator voted “yes” on XLS-65 and XLS-66, supporting native vaults and lending. XLS-65 has reached 40% validator support, while XLS-66 has secured more than 37%. Both amendments require over 80% support for two consecutive weeks before activation. The framework could support loans funded with XRP, RLUSD, and other XRPL-issued assets. Ripple’s validator has backed the Single Asset Vault and Lending Protocol amendments as voting continues among trusted XRP Ledger validators.

— Rednirav (@CryptoRednirav) August 10, 2026 XLS-65, which would introduce Single Asset Vaults, has reached approximately 40% support. XLS-66, covering the proposed Lending Protocol, has received more than 37% support, according to the latest voting data.
The current totals remain well below the activation threshold. An amendment must maintain support from more than 80% of trusted validators for two continuous weeks before it can become active on the XRP Ledger mainnet.
Based on the current default Unique Node List configuration, the proposals would need support from at least 28 of 35 validators. Ripple’s vote therefore moves the amendments forward but does not establish an activation date.
The vote follows the amendments’ entry into the formal validator process earlier this year. As crypto.news previously reported, XLS-65 and XLS-66 are intended to provide lending infrastructure at the ledger level rather than through external smart contracts.
Validators can independently decide whether to support an amendment. Ripple’s vote carries attention because the company remains a major contributor to XRPL development, but it cannot activate the proposals by itself.
How XLS-65 and XLS-66 would work XLS-65 would establish a standard structure for pooling one type of asset from multiple depositors. A vault could hold XRP, Ripple USD (RLUSD), or another token issued on XRPL while giving depositors proportional shares representing their claims on the pooled assets.
The vault could then supply liquidity to other services, including the proposed Lending Protocol.
XLS-66 would use liquidity held in those vaults to fund fixed-term loans. Unlike many decentralized lending markets, the proposed system would not require every borrower to provide more collateral than the value of the loan.
Institutions would instead conduct credit checks, compliance reviews, legal assessments, and underwriting off-chain. The XRP Ledger would manage the agreed loan terms, including interest, repayment schedules, servicing, and default records.
Loan brokers would connect borrowers with vault liquidity and manage the credit relationship. A first-loss capital mechanism could absorb an initial share of losses if a borrower defaults, offering some protection to vault depositors.
The separation between off-chain underwriting and on-chain execution is meant to accommodate regulated lenders that cannot rely entirely on anonymous borrowers and automated liquidations. For U.S. institutions, using the protocol would not remove obligations arising from lending, securities, consumer protection, sanctions, or anti-money laundering rules.
Instead, the ledger would serve as settlement and record-keeping infrastructure after participating institutions complete the required checks.
Security review clears major lending flaws The lending code has undergone several security reviews ahead of the validator decision.
Blockchain security firm Halborn completed a re-audit covering transaction checks, accounting rules, access controls, parameter limits, and consistency between protocol states. The review found no critical or high-risk vulnerabilities.
Halborn identified five issues: one medium-risk finding, two low-risk findings, and two informational findings. Ripple addressed, accepted, or acknowledged all five, according to the audit report.
“We are proud to share that we have completed our XRP Ledger Lending Protocol Re-Audit for Ripple,” Halborn said when announcing the review.
The medium-risk issue involved a way loan interest could cause a vault to exceed its maximum asset limit. Ripple resolved that finding, along with a low-risk issue involving a missing freeze check.
The audit does not eliminate default, underwriting, liquidity, or implementation risks. However, it cleared another technical requirement as validators assess whether the amendments are ready for mainnet use. crypto.news covered the re-audit in June.
XRP Ledger applications prepare for activation Developers are already testing possible applications on XRPL’s Lending DevNet while the amendments await approval.
Yield protocol SOIL has said it plans to become one of the first applications built on the Single Asset Vault and Lending Protocol framework. Its proposed products include lending markets, yield strategies, and tokenized fixed-income instruments.
A demonstration showed users depositing assets into separate vaults and receiving tokens representing their proportional ownership. However, the system remains in a development environment and cannot launch on the mainnet unless validators approve both amendments. crypto.news previously reported on SOIL’s preparations.
Ripple-backed XRP treasury company Evernorth has also identified the lending framework as a possible way to earn institutional-grade returns on its holdings. Actual yields would depend on borrower demand, credit quality, vault terms, and protocol adoption after launch.
The vote comes alongside the release of XRP Ledger version 3.3.0, which includes work on lending, confidential transfers, transaction batches, sponsored fees, and configurable token features. Those changes also require validator approval and should not be treated as active mainnet functions solely because their code has been released.
As crypto.news reported, node operators must upgrade their software and consider each amendment separately.
XRP traded near $1.02 at the time of writing, down about 2.2% over 24 hours and 5.7% during the past week. The validator vote did not produce an immediate positive price reaction, suggesting traders remain focused on whether the amendments can reach the required threshold and generate real lending demand after activation.
Robinhood rozšířil britskou aplikaci o více než 50 kryptoměn včetně Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP a Hyperliquid. Současně spustil AI nástroj Cortex Digests for Crypto pro vysvětlování pohybů trhu.
Robinhood has expanded its UK investing app into crypto, giving eligible customers access to more than 50 digital assets while adding an AI-powered tool to explain market moves.
UK customers can now buy and sell more than 50 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP and Hyperliquid, through Robinhood’s main app. The service operates through Bitstamp UK, the crypto exchange Robinhood acquired for $200 million last year.
The company said there are no trading, custody or account maintenance fees. Customers will instead pay a 0.1% foreign exchange fee when converting currencies, while some weekend conversions carry a 0.3% fee.
The rollout follows Robinhood’s registration with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) on July 31. Bitstamp UK is also FCA-registered. Crypto assets held through the service are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme or the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Cortex brings AI into crypto tradingAlongside the trading launch, Robinhood is introducing Cortex Digests for Crypto. The generative AI feature reviews breaking news, market data, technical indicators and Robinhood’s own insights to explain what may be driving price movements.
The vision is to give users a simple market summary without making them dig through multiple sources.
Robinhood expands its crypto ecosystemThe company is also pushing its blockchain business through Robinhood Chain, a Layer 2 network built using Arbitrum technology. Robinhood said the network has recorded more than $18 billion in decentralized exchange trading volume and over $840 million in total value locked since its July 1 launch.
Developers, including those in the UK, can build applications on the network.
UK rules will tighten furtherRobinhood’s launch comes before the UK’s new crypto authorization regime. Applications are expected to open in September 2026, with the new framework scheduled to take effect in October 2027. Robinhood’s current FCA registration will not replace the authorization required under that future system.
The UK expansion also comes as Robinhood’s crypto transaction revenue fell 38% year over year to $100 million in Q2 2026. Still, total revenue rose 32% to $1.31 billion, while prediction-market revenue reached $156 million.

Ripple integroval XRP do firemních treasury procesů přes GTreasury, takže korporace mohou XRP držet, přijímat i spravovat přímo v systému. GTreasury loni zpracovala platby za 13 bilionů USD.
Corporate treasuries handle extensive volumes of cash management each year, and for the first time, XRP can now be managed directly within the same systems these teams use daily. This development is set to significantly expand XRP’s role in enterprise finance operations.
XRPL integration through GTreasuryGTreasury, a well-established treasury management platform serving more than 1,000 corporate clients across 160 countries, has integrated Ripple Treasury into its system. In 2025, these clients processed $13 trillion in payments through the platform. Ripple has enhanced this infrastructure by introducing Digital Asset Accounts, empowering corporate treasury departments to hold, receive, and manage XRP directly alongside traditional fiat currencies.
This workflow allows companies to transfer cash into Ripple Treasury, move funds into Digital Asset Accounts, convert balances into XRP, and manage these assets within their existing platforms. These capabilities enable connection to cross-border settlements, liquidity management, and tokenized asset functions. As a result, XRP becomes part of basic treasury management, no longer existing as a separate or external product.
Mini dictionary: GTreasury – A global treasury management system providing software for cash and liquidity management, payments, and risk management for corporations worldwide.
GTreasury and Ripple Prime will reportedly bring significant XRP usage to the corporate and institutional sectors in the coming months, with XRP’s role extending far beyond payments alone.
Ripple Prime expands institutional adoptionRipple Prime, the prime brokerage division of Ripple, now serves over 300 institutional clients with more than $3 trillion in annual clearing volume. Institutions can acquire XRP over-the-counter, include it in their portfolios, and employ it for margin structures. The broader strategy positions XRP not only for payments, but also as a bridge for liquidity, FX conversion, and cross-border settlement, while eliminating the need for pre-funded nostro accounts.
The combined use of GTreasury and Ripple Prime streamlines the transaction flow: fiat currency converts to XRP, moves cross-border over the XRP Ledger, and is then converted back to the required local fiat. This system maximizes settlement efficiency and provides 24/7 asset availability for high-volume institutional clients.
Mini dictionary: Nostro account – A bank account held by one bank in another bank in a foreign country, typically used to facilitate foreign exchange and international transactions.
Market expectations and growth forecastMarket analysts highlight this evolving use of XRP within both corporate and institutional finance as a core reason for potential future growth. Ripple Treasury targets the corporate segment, while Ripple Prime focuses on institutional clients, both leveraging XRP as a settlement, liquidity, collateral, and reserve asset through the XRP Ledger.
According to projections shared by industry commentators, XRP adoption is expected to follow a multi-stage trajectory through 2030. Key milestones include the rollout of Digital Asset Accounts, full-scale integration within treasury platforms, and rapid expansion of cross-border payment use cases. The vision for XRP ultimately involves its positioning as a global liquidity reserve asset for multinational transactions.

X Finance Bull, an online commentator focusing on financial technology, claimed that this integration and increased real-world utility are not yet fully reflected in current market prices for XRP. The emphasis is on practical adoption and the sizable financial flows already enabled by the updated platform infrastructure.

Grayscale’s XRP Trust v 1. pololetí 2026 prodal XRP za více než 180 milionů USD kvůli vlně odkupů. Fond odprodal asi 103 milionů XRP a vykázal ztrátu kolem 34 milionů USD.
Grayscale’s XRP Trust has disclosed that it sold over $180 million worth of XRP during the first half of 2026, following a spike in investor redemptions. The regulatory filing, dated through June 30, indicates the fund offloaded approximately 103 million XRP tokens within this six-month period.
Redemptions Drive Major XRP OutflowsTo meet redemption requests from investors, the trust had to liquidate a significant portion of its XRP holdings. The realized losses from these sales totaled about $34 million, while unrealized losses continue to remain on the books due to the lower residual market value of its remaining assets.
Grayscale’s trust mechanism delegates creations and redemptions to authorized participants. As a result, XRP was sold mechanically, rather than by discretionary decisions from Grayscale’s managers, reflecting the fund’s open-ended structure.
New contributions and inflows during the period failed to keep pace with large-scale withdrawals, leading to a marked reduction in both the trust’s XRP balance and overall net asset value.
Wider Market Impact and XRP Price MovementsThe large redemptions from Grayscale’s XRP Trust coincided with notably weaker sentiment across XRP-related investment products. Other funds linked to XRP have also recorded significant outflows, while trading activity in derivatives markets has waned. Over the same period, XRP’s price hovered in a narrow range near $1.05 to $1.07, with market participants closely tracking the $1 level for signals of either renewed buying or further declines.
This pattern underscores how redemption-driven selling can translate into substantial spot market pressure on underlying cryptocurrencies. In assets with lighter liquidity or stronger sentiment swings, such selling may accelerate price moves to the downside.
The regulatory update confirms that escalating redemptions required mechanical sales of over 100 million XRP, resulting in $34 million in realized losses for the trust, with further unrealized losses unsettled in the portfolio.
Blockchains, Real-World Integration, and Market InnovationWhile the XRP Trust navigates outflows and price volatility, the broader market continues to advance with new platforms facilitating more seamless access to both digital and traditional assets. For instance, 1stepSwap offers investors a streamlined way to hold real-world assets—including shares of major U.S. companies and commodities like gold and silver—directly in their crypto wallets. The key innovation lies in the platform’s ability to source the best available market price instantly, letting users transact leading global equities and diversify portfolios quickly and efficiently without the need for intermediaries or complex processes.
Industry analysts caution that ongoing changes in investor flows, coupled with the emergence of new on-chain solutions for holding traditional assets, could shape how capital migrates within both the crypto and broader financial ecosystem.

Ripple se připojil k britské vládní pracovní skupině, která má pilotně ověřit tokenizaci na blockchainu na repo trhu. Projekt míří na trhy v hodnotě 33 miliard GBP a první ostrý pilot má přijít na jaře 2027.
Dr. Kamilah Stevenson reported that Ripple has joined a UK government initiative aimed at modernising wholesale financial markets using blockchain technology. She described this development as more significant than a standard business partnership, given the involvement of government bodies in shaping future market standards.
UK Treasury leads digital market modernisationStevenson highlighted the role of the UK Treasury’s Wholesale Digital Markets Taskforce, which has been tasked with establishing operational guidelines for the tokenisation of institutional finance. This effort seeks to lay the foundation for integrating distributed ledger technology across key components of the financial system.
According to Stevenson, Ripple is involved in the taskforce’s tokenisation plans and collaborates with the government-appointed Wholesale Digital Markets Champion. She emphasized that government participation is crucial because standards set at this level could shape how banks, funds, and infrastructure providers operate for years to come.
Ripple is supporting the UK government’s initiative on tokenisation strategy, with Treasury involvement potentially influencing the standards financial institutions will follow in the future.
Major tokenisation initiative targets repo marketsA government plan cited by Stevenson estimates the initiative’s potential value at approximately £33 billion, with a projection of £14 billion in extra annual tax revenue by 2035. These figures suggest that UK officials view tokenised markets as a key economic priority, moving beyond simple technology trials to large-scale policy projects.
The initiative is expected to debut in the repurchase agreement (repo) market, targeting testing and a live pilot for spring 2027. Repo markets play a central role in daily bank funding, involving short-term loans in which institutions swap securities, like government bonds, for cash before reversing the transaction.
Transferring repo processes to a blockchain could reduce the need for manual reconciliation, streamline the transfer of collateral, and enable immediate ownership updates. However, successful market adoption would depend on legal clarity, dependable technology infrastructure, and broad industry participation.
Mini dictionary: Repurchase agreement (repo) — A short-term borrowing mechanism in which financial institutions sell securities and agree to repurchase them at a later date, commonly used to manage day-to-day funding and liquidity needs in the banking sector.
MetricEstimated Value/ProjectionInitiative’s potential value£33 billionProjected annual tax revenue by 2035£14 billionFirst live pilot target dateSpring 2027XRP Ledger and the trend toward institutional adoptionStevenson also noted Ripple’s earlier partnership with Aviva Investors, a major UK fund manager overseeing about £253 billion in assets. In this initiative, Aviva began its first steps toward tokenising traditional funds on the XRP Ledger, Ripple’s blockchain-based settlement network.
She said tokenised real-world assets on the XRP Ledger grew from around $150 million to about $4 billion over one year, spanning more than 500 products. However, the source of these figures was not independently verified and should be viewed as estimates presented by Stevenson.
Stevenson distinguished between adoption by private companies and adoption driven by policymakers. She argued that government endorsement usually leads to the creation of broader industry standards, stating, “Companies choose vendors, governments choose standards.”
The transition to regulated blockchain infrastructure may no longer depend on whether institutions will use distributed ledger technology, but on which networks and settlement rails become embedded within formal market operations.
Participation in a Treasury-supported pilot does not guarantee a specific outcome for XRP or exclusive use of the XRP Ledger. Still, the involvement signals a shift as tokenisation progresses from experimental stages toward integration with core market infrastructure.

Canary XRP ETF v první polovině roku 2026 klesl v čistých aktivech o 81,6 milionu USD na 241,2 milionu USD, i když čistý příliv kapitálu činil 82,4 milionu USD. Hlavní brzdou byl pokles hodnoty XRP, který převážil nové emise podílů.
Canary Capital’s XRP exchange traded fund ended the first half of 2026 with $81.6 million fewer net assets even after positive capital share activity added $82.4 million.
Summary
Canary XRP ETF ended June with $241.2 million, down $81.6 million from December despite creations. Net capital share transactions added $82.4 million, while operations reduced assets by $164.0 million overall. Unrealized XRP depreciation accounted for $159.7 million of the fund’s operational decline during 2026 midyear. XRP holdings climbed 31.7% to 231.3 million tokens, even as their dollar value declined sharply. XRPC posted a 42.84% NAV loss during 2026’s first six months, according to Canary data. An Aug. 7 SEC filing shows that falling XRP valuations more than offset the increase in shares during the six months through June 30.
The unaudited Form 10 Q puts XRPC’s net assets at $241.17 million on June 30, down from $322.82 million at the end of 2025. Meanwhile, outstanding shares increased from 16.49 million to 21.77 million as the fund created 5.65 million shares and redeemed 370,000. XRP itself fell 43.27% from $1.84 to $1.04 over the same period.

— Xora Finance (@xora_finance) August 10, 2026 Canary XRP ETF added shares while XRP erased value The accounting behind the decline shows two forces moving in opposite directions. XRPC recorded $88.26 million from shares sold and $5.90 million from shares redeemed. The resulting $82.36 million increase from capital share transactions was outweighed by a $164 million decrease in net assets from operations.
Most of that operational decline came from XRP rather than fees. The fund recorded $159.70 million in unrealized depreciation, $3.59 million in realized investment losses and $716,898 in sponsor fees during the six month period. Unrealized depreciation was therefore almost twice the value added through net capital share transactions.
The contrast follows an initially strong reception for the fund. As crypto.news reported in its launch day coverage, XRPC generated about $58 million in trading volume when it debuted on Nasdaq in November 2025, making it one of that year’s largest new ETF launches by first day volume.
The $82 million figure is not simply investor cash inflow The $82.36 million increase should not be treated as $82.36 million of retail investors depositing cash into XRPC. Canary’s SEC prospectus allows authorized participants to create and redeem baskets using either cash or XRP. Investors trading XRPC shares on Nasdaq do not directly create or redeem shares with the trust.
The latest filing shows the distinction clearly. XRPC purchased 34.13 million XRP valued at $52.20 million during the first half, while another 25.93 million XRP valued at $36.05 million entered the trust through in kind share creations. The fund also sold 3.93 million XRP worth $5.90 million to meet redemptions and reported no XRP distributed in kind for redemptions.
Accordingly, the filing supports describing the $82.36 million as net capital share activity rather than a direct measure of investor cash inflows. It does show that creation activity exceeded redemptions during the period.
XRPC held 31.7% more XRP but the position was worth less XRPC’s XRP holdings increased from 175.63 million tokens at the beginning of 2026 to 231.28 million on June 30, a rise of about 31.7%. Yet the fair value of the XRP position fell from $322.97 million to $241.28 million because the underlying asset declined sharply.
That disconnect has also appeared across the wider U.S. XRP ETF market. In related ETF flow coverage, crypto.news reported in July that cumulative inflows across spot XRP funds remained well above their combined net assets as falling token prices reduced portfolio values.
The price weakness does not mean creations stopped altogether. More recent fund flow reporting showed XRP ETFs recording fresh net inflows on July 29 after a four day pause, while XRP remained near the $1.10 area.
XRPC assets slipped further after the June quarter Canary’s latest published fund data shows XRPC remained below its June level after the reporting period. Net assets stood at $237.38 million on Aug. 7, with both NAV and market price at $10.85. Shares outstanding had increased to 21.87 million from 21.77 million at June 30.
The same data puts XRPC’s NAV return at negative 43.93% for 2026 through Aug. 7, compared with negative 42.84% through June 30. Its market price return was negative 44.22% year to date. Those figures show that the valuation pressure documented in the SEC report had not fully reversed by early August.
For XRPC, the next financial filing will provide another formal snapshot of whether continued share creation can offset movements in XRP’s price. The first half results already make the current dynamic clear: the trust accumulated substantially more XRP, but the falling value of each token left the fund with fewer dollars in net assets.
Podle právníka Billa Morgana může XRP už nyní splňovat podmínky CLARITY Act pro digitální komoditu. Klíčové je, že více než polovina nabídky byla rozdělena mimo Ripple a spřízněné strany.
XRP may already satisfy the requirements that are needed to be treated as a digital commodity under the proposed CLARITY Act, according to analyst Bill Morgan.
The lawyer has argued that the bill’s maturity framework goes beyond its 20% ownership threshold.
The comments come in response to concerns over whether XRP can qualify as a “mature blockchain system” under the aforementioned legislation.
HOT Stories
The CLARITY Act’s framework stipulates that no issuer or affiliated person beneficially owns 20% or more of a digital commodity. It also contains additional criteria pertaining to blockchain governance.
However, the lawyer pointed to alternative provisions that could be relevant to XRP.
The argument is that XRP could potentially satisfy this test because more than half of its total supply has been distributed outside Ripple and related parties.
If that interpretation is accepted, XRP Ledger could end up qualifying under the pre-existing-system provision.
There’s also a separate provision involving exchange-traded products. The Senate draft contains a cutoff for certain network tokens with ETFs on a national securities exchange. XRP could potentially benefit from this provision as well.
Finally, failing to qualify as a mature blockchain would not necessarily mean XRP itself becomes a security in every transaction.
The CLARITY Act distinguishes between a digital commodity and investment contracts involving that commodity. As a result, the regulatory treatment of a particular sale or offering can differ from the legal status of the underlying token itself. The legislation is designed to place qualifying digital commodities primarily under CFTC oversight.

Ripple’s directly held, operational XRP is roughly 4.7–4.8 billion XRP. The latest widely cited figure is about 4.74 billion XRP in Ripple-controlled wallets.
That said, more than 32 billion XRP remained in Ripple-controlled escrow.
The Clarity Act stumbles In the meantime, the Clarity Act recently faced a major setback.
As reported by U.Today, the Senate has postponed a floor vote on the much-talked-about legislation.
However, Justin Slaughter, Paradigm's vice president of regulatory affairs, recently opined that the bill was not dead just yet.

An attempt to expand the capabilities of XRP Ledger (XRPL) has sparked a heated technical debate in the crypto community. The discussion was triggered by a radical proposal to increase the limit of the transaction Memo field by 1,200 times, from the current 1 KB to approximately 1.3 MB.
Blockchain enthusiasts have already begun discussing the upgrade's "limitless potential," but some have called for a sober assessment of the risks.

Matt Hamilton pushes Filecoin alternativeThe initiative's main critic is Matt Hamilton, a former developer relations director at Ripple. Commenting on the proposal, he criticized the initiative and directly called the new expansion plan "a really bad idea."
The problem lies in XRPL's architecture. The blockchain operates as a distributed payment ledger, not a file-sharing service. For the network to remain secure and synchronized, every validator and node must store the entire transaction history.
If XRP Ledger users begin filling the ledger with large media files, the database will start growing exponentially, Hamilton warned.
Because every node has to store it forever. Really bad idea. Best use an actually storage network like Filecoin and have a way to link the two.
— Matt Hamilton (@HammerToe) August 9, 2026 This would significantly increase hardware requirements, make operating nodes too expensive for independent participants and, in the long term, threaten the network's decentralization.

Drawing on his experience developing blockchain protocols, Hamilton pointed to more efficient engineering approaches that already exist. Specialized decentralized data storage networks, such as Filecoin, are designed for large files.
According to the expert, this hybrid approach allows users to work with any type of media content while keeping XRP Ledger what it was originally designed to be: a fast, lightweight and scalable payment tool.
Ripple drží více než 50 licencí pro převod peněz a už nyní splňuje přísnější podmínky, než požaduje navrhovaný PACE Act. Firma má licenci i v New Yorku a Texasu.
Ripple has positioned itself ahead of ongoing US legislative changes by accumulating more than 50 money transmitter licenses, surpassing the requirements set out in the proposed PACE Act. Crypto researcher SMQKE asserted on X that Ripple, the payments technology company best known for developing the XRP Ledger, already fulfills the stringent criteria lawmakers aim to enforce for firms seeking direct access to Federal Reserve payment systems.
PACE Act sets high thresholdThe Payment Access to Cryptocurrency Entities (PACE) Act aims to provide a regulatory framework for digital asset companies connecting directly to Federal Reserve rails such as Fedwire, FedNow, and FedACH, without the need for a traditional bank charter. Under the bill, applicants must secure money transmitter licenses in at least 40 states, establish one-to-one reserves, comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, and register as a “covered provider” with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
SMQKE emphasized that Ripple holds licensing in more than 50 states, including in New York and Texas. New York’s BitLicense is among the strictest licensing regimes for digital asset service providers and is widely regarded as a benchmark for robust compliance across the US. Companies holding the BitLicense generally face fewer obstacles obtaining similar approvals elsewhere.
Ripple’s portfolio of over 50 licenses means it already exceeds the bar set by the PACE Act, including recognition in New York and Texas, which are known for rigorous oversight.
Ripple’s licensing approach was designed to satisfy both federal and state requirements, which SMQKE argues enables the company to rapidly respond to regulatory changes if the bill passes.
Mini dictionary: PACE Act, US legislative proposal setting requirements for crypto companies to gain direct access to key Federal Reserve payment systems, including Fedwire and FedNow, by mandating extensive state-level licensing and compliance standards.
Messaging standards drive potential integrationA key technical factor supporting Ripple’s eligibility is its adoption of ISO 20022, a global banking format that standardizes data-rich messaging between payment systems. Both FedNow, the Federal Reserve’s instant payment platform, and the XRP Ledger utilize ISO 20022, which could allow for smooth interoperability between the two networks. According to SMQKE, this alignment streamlines the integration process, removing the main barrier for disparate financial systems to communicate in real time.
A payment system designed natively on ISO 20022 not only enables seamless data transfer but also processes transactions 24/7, making it align closely with FedNow’s expectations.
Traditional banking infrastructure frequently relies on older data formats that can limit transaction detail and delay processing through scheduled batch cycles. An ISO 20022-native blockchain bypasses these constraints, delivering truly real-time settlement capacities required by updated federal systems.
Mini dictionary: ISO 20022, an international standard for exchanging electronic messages between financial institutions, allowing for richer payment data and improved interoperability across different systems.
XRPL matches instant payment speedsFedNow is engineered to settle payments within seconds, setting a high bar for any network seeking integration. SMQKE highlighted that the XRP Ledger, Ripple’s decentralized blockchain network, is capable of millisecond-level settlements, matching the real-time expectations of the Federal Reserve’s instant payment rails.
This performance metric has become an essential consideration as federal infrastructure modernizes. Blockchain projects hoping to participate must provide transaction finality at speeds comparable to existing systems.

Companies like Ripple, already compliant with the proposed standards, are likely to have an operational advantage if the legislation is enacted. However, the ultimate decision on any connection to Federal Reserve rails will require OCC approval and final passage through the legislative process.

XRP Ledger vydal verzi 3.3.0 s návrhem On-Chain Cosigner pro nativní multisig a s balíkem oprav chyb fixCleanup3_3_0. Některé dříve aktivní změny se zároveň staly trvalou součástí protokolu.
This week, the team behind XRP Ledger introduced version 3.3.0, delivering a set of significant updates focused on network security and transaction management. The update includes the On-Chain Cosigner proposal and key bug fixes under the fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment.
The newly submitted On-Chain Cosigner proposal allows for native multi-signature capabilities on the XRP Ledger. This addition is designed to streamline on-chain coordination for transactions, enabling users to create and collect multi-signature proposals within the protocol itself. These improvements aim to foster more secure and efficient transaction approval processes, reducing the risk of single points of failure in transaction authorization.
The On-Chain Cosigner proposal brings native multi-signature proposal and collection to XRP Ledger, making on-chain transaction coordination more straightforward for users seeking additional security and control.
Key features in XRP Ledger v3.3.0XRP Ledger version 3.3.0 integrates the fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment, a bundle of amendment-gated bug fixes. This package unifies freeze and deep freeze checks for transfers involving pseudo-accounts in a range of transactions, including VaultDeposit, VaultWithdraw, AMMDeposit, AMMWithdraw, LoanBrokerCoverDeposit, and LoanBrokerCoverWithdraw.
Additionally, the fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment resolves issues related to hybrid offers being removed from the open order book if the originating account loses access to a permissioned domain. It also addresses Automated Market Maker (AMM) liquidity being factored into quality estimates for permissioned decentralized exchange order books, ensuring that market data remains accurate and reliable.
Further upgrades within this release target precision and rounding errors in Single Asset Vaults and the Lending Protocol, as well as several other bug fixes intended to improve overall performance and consistency on the ledger.
Protocol amendments and ecosystem enhancementsWith version 3.3.0, XRP Ledger makes a number of previously active amendments permanent parts of the protocol. The amendments retired in this release include Clawback, fixDisallowIncomingV1, fixInnerObjTemplate, fixNFTokenReserve, and fixUniversalNumber. According to developers, this step essentially solidifies these features, reinforcing security and regulatory compliance throughout the project’s codebase.
The update comes at a time of growing interest in advanced on-chain transaction technologies and interoperability. Market participants continue to seek platforms that can natively support secure, multi-signature workflows, automated liquidity management, and enhanced asset diversity.
For those following developments in cross-market asset integration, solutions such as 1stepSwap have been gaining traction. 1stepSwap is a highly practical platform that breaks down the barriers between traditional finance and the crypto world. By transferring real-world assets (RWAs) directly onto the blockchain, it allows users to access shares of major U.S. companies and commodities like gold and silver through their wallets, without complex intermediaries. Its standout feature is the ability to identify the best prices across the market at any moment, enabling near-instant trades at highly competitive rates while supporting portfolio diversification.
The combination of updated ledger features and expanding market options has the potential to enhance user experience and broaden the decentralized finance ecosystem surrounding $XRP.

Grayscale v první polovině roku 2026 snížil držbu XRP z více než 122 milionů na zhruba 55 milionů tokenů. Podle podání prodal XRP za více než 67 milionů USD.
Grayscale has sharply reduced its XRP holdings, with its balance dropping by more than half in the first six months of 2026. According to figures shared by crypto analyst Steph Is Crypto, the investment trust reported approximately 55 million XRP in its portfolio as of June 30, compared with over 122 million XRP at the end of December 2025.
Grayscale’s XRP sales and portfolio shiftSteph Is Crypto highlighted that Grayscale sold over $67 million worth of XRP across the period, marking a substantial decline in institutional exposure to the asset. The trust’s financial filing indicates a total reduction of roughly 67.2 million XRP, leaving its holdings at less than half their value from six months earlier.
At the close of 2025, the fair value of Grayscale’s XRP portfolio exceeded $223 million based on a token price of $1.83. By mid-2026, however, the price per XRP had declined to $1.04, and the trust’s holdings were valued at about $57.4 million.
Transaction records within the filing note several activities behind these changes, including tokens redeemed, distributions for the sponsor’s fee, and both realized and unrealized shifts in asset value.
Grayscale has sold over $67 million worth of XRP, cutting its holdings by more than 50%, according to a post by Steph Is Crypto analyzing the trust’s financial statement.
XRP community members and observers reacted to the data and raised questions about market sentiment. Some, like Rick Wilson, have suggested that large-scale institutional exits may follow periods of deteriorating asset performance, with potential losses impacting ETF investors specifically.
Wilson interpreted XRP’s struggle to rebound from its recent lows as a sign of ongoing pressure, though the filing itself does not confirm a universal loss for all holders or guarantee further declines. Instead, it presents a snapshot of Grayscale’s shifting strategy, not the entire ETF landscape.
Another participant, DAMAGE, stated that Grayscale had already sold approximately $180 million in XRP at the beginning of 2026, but continues to hold a sizable stake of 55 million XRP.
Some investors interpreted Grayscale’s significant reduction as an indication of broader institutional caution towards XRP, although the filings show remaining sizable holdings and ongoing portfolio management activities.
Details from the trust’s financial filingThe official report details how Grayscale’s XRP balance declined from over 122 million at the end of 2025 to about 55 million by mid-2026. The fair value assessment is based on pricing provided by Coinbase at 4 p.m. New York time, which the trust identifies as its principal market source.
These developments come as XRP continues to trade below its 2025 year-end levels, reflecting challenging conditions in the broader altcoin market. Against this backdrop, effective portfolio monitoring and market data integration are increasingly critical for both institutional and retail investors. Tools like CryptoAppsy, which merges real-time prices, detailed charts, multi-currency portfolio management, and smart price alerts on a single screen, have become popular with those looking to track fast-moving developments, discover new altcoin listings, and stay updated with macroeconomic shifts such as Federal Reserve interest rates.
While Grayscale’s activity signals an adjustment in its approach to XRP, the investment firm’s remaining holdings still reflect a significant position. The market continues to watch how both Grayscale and other major investors respond to evolving digital asset trends in the upcoming quarters.

XRP Ledger vydal xrpld 3.3.0 s pěti návrhy včetně Confidential MPT, Batch a Sponsored Fees. Aktivují se pouze při podpoře alespoň 80 % validátorů po dobu 14 dnů.
The XRP Ledger has released xrpld 3.3.0, its reference server software update, marking what many observers consider one of the most consequential upgrades to the network in recent years. The release bundles five amendments: Confidential MPT, Batch, Permission Delegation, Sponsored Fees and Reserves, and Dynamic MPT. RippleX Head of Product Jazzi Cooper framed the update as a leap forward for tokenized asset use cases including global transfers, trading, collateralization, and settlement.
Two of the five proposed amendments are revised versions of features that were previously withdrawn after researchers found bugs that could have allowed unauthorized transactions or fee draining. The team has since addressed the vulnerability and refined the implementations to ensure stability and safety.
What Each Amendment DoesConfidential MPT introduces zero-knowledge proofs to Multi-Purpose Token transactions, allowing transfers to be verified as valid without revealing the underlying amounts or details to everyone on the network. This gives the XRP Ledger its first native privacy feature for tokenized assets, a capability that institutional participants have long required.
Batch would allow up to eight cross-account transactions to execute atomically, while Permission Delegation would let institutions grant narrowly scoped signing authority without exposing full control. In the case of Batch, either all transactions succeed together, or they all fail, helping reduce costs and improve network efficiency.
Sponsored Fees and Reserves allows companies to pay network fees on behalf of their users, meaning customers may no longer need to hold XRP just to use applications built on the XRP Ledger. This directly lowers onboarding friction for both institutions and retail users. Dynamic MPT will let token issuers update certain token settings after launch without creating a new token, making it easier for businesses to adjust to changing regulations.
Activation Depends on Validator ConsensusThe software release does not automatically switch on any of these features. Under the decentralized governance architecture of the XRP Ledger, each amendment must achieve and maintain at least 80% support from trusted network validators for a mandatory duration of 14 consecutive days. Validators need to upgrade their nodes to 3.3.0 and then signal support for each amendment individually. The Batch amendment already failed once due to a security flaw, and while the fix appears to be in place, validators may be more cautious this time around.
Ripple Head of Engineering Ayo Akinyele said the update improves the XRP Ledger's privacy, payments, account management, and token features as more financial assets move on-chain. By introducing structured batch processing, secure permission delegation, confidential token architectures, dynamic settings, and sponsored fee models, the network is directly tailoring its infrastructure for widespread institutional adoption and real-world asset tokenization.
The 3.3.0 release is the first since version 3.2.0 to introduce new functional capabilities rather than maintenance patches. Attention now turns to validator signaling in the weeks ahead, which will determine whether these proposals cross the 80% threshold and go live on mainnet.

In brief XRP fell 2.05% in 24 hours to $1.02, the lone red coin among the top 10; every other major is green. The Senate left Washington without voting on the Clarity Act, delaying the market-structure bill until at least September. XRP trades within a confirmed death cross, but prediction market traders remain optimistic for now. The Senate left town without taking up the Clarity Act, pushing the market-structure vote to at least September. Every major coin shrugged it off—except XRP.
While Bitcoin stayed flat, dealing with its own headwinds, and Dogecoin gained 1.38% over the day to be the best performer in the top 10 crypto assets by market cap, XRP dropped 2.05%, the only major token to close red.
On a week that saw it fall 3%, it's the weakest of the majors by a wide margin.
The delay isn't just procedural for XRP. The token's entire 2025–2026 rally thesis rested on the U.S. finally deciding what XRP is. The Clarity Act would sort crypto into securities and commodities and, in drafts Decrypt previously reported, would reclassify XRP, Solana, and Dogecoin as non-securities.
That means these coins would fall under the regulatory purview of the CFTC, widely viewed as the more preferable option by crypto industry observers, rather than the historically tougher SEC.
For Ripple, whose co-founder created the XRP cryptocurrency, that's the prize years of litigation were about: a federal answer to the SEC's long fight over whether XRP was an unregistered security. Ripple agreed to pay $50 million to settle its cross-appeal with the SEC, but a statute beats a settlement.
A law settles the question for every exchange, custodian, and regulator at once. Without it, XRP stays in legal limbo—and limbo is what the chart appears to be pricing.
XRP price: What the charts sayXRP is trading at $1.028, roughly a $64 billion market cap, down 0.71% on the day, after a red candle that has kept it pinned just above the $1.00 psychological floor. It's the second-lowest print on the daily chart since early 2024, above only the $0.9153 low marked last month.
XRP price data. Image: TradingviewThe trajectory is a clean, grinding downtrend. XRP has been in a strong bearish trend since 2025, when it reached $3 per coin. The 50-day EMA (the average price over the last 50 sessions) has crossed below the 200-day EMA (the average over the last 200 sessions) in a formation known as a death cross. XRP’s current price is below both lines, so there's no average acting as support beneath it.
The Relative Strength Index, or RSI, reads 35.9. RSI is a momentum gauge on a 0–100 scale: above 70 is overbought, below 30 is oversold. At 35.9, momentum is bearish with room for more downside before buyers typically step in.
The Average Directional Index, or ADX, reads 11.9. ADX measures trend strength, not direction: below 20 means the move lacks conviction and chop is common. However, the Squeeze Momentum indicator is still off, meaning volatility is expanding rather than coiling.
No compression means no loaded spring waiting to fire; moves here tend to be slow.
A bull case would appear if a daily close back above $1.10 (the lower Fib zone and first real resistance) and then the $1.13 point of control signal the floor is holding. An advance in the Clarity Act, though not until September at the earliest now, could also ignite some bullish appetite among traders.
Bear case: a break under $1.00 opens the path to $0.9153, the chart's lowest mark since 2024. A daily close there confirms the downtrend and erases the post-2024 recovery. The current trend is bearish, so this is a very likely scenario.
On Myriad, a prediction market developed by Decrypt’s parent company Dastan, traders are currently optimistic on XRP’s short-term outlook. Traders are pricing in 77% odds that XRP stays above $1.00, at least over the weekend.
For now, $1.00 is the line. Above it, XRP is cheap and oversold; below it, the chart says the slide isn't done.

XRP holders can now access Ripple USD (RLUSD) liquidity on Ethereum without selling their XRP.
The option became available after Flare integrated FXRP as collateral in Sentora’s institutional RLUSD vault on Morpho.
The launch creates an isolated FXRP/RLUSD lending market on Morpho Blue. Users can mint FXRP on Flare, bridge it to Ethereum, and borrow RLUSD against their holdings in a permissionless and non-custodial way.
FXRP Becomes First XRP Collateral Asset in Institutional Ethereum Vault According to Flare, FXRP is the first XRP representation approved as collateral in an institutionally curated lending vault on Ethereum mainnet.
The integration gives XRP holders access to Sentora’s RLUSD Main vault, which currently holds around $280 million in deposited RLUSD. It is now the largest institutionally curated RLUSD vault on Ethereum.
The new market allows users to keep exposure to XRP’s price while unlocking liquidity through RLUSD loans. Borrowers retain control of their collateral, with no custodial intermediary or whitelist required.
To use the service initially, users must mint FXRP through Flare’s FAssets protocol, bridge it to Ethereum, deposit it into the FXRP/RLUSD market, and borrow RLUSD within the market’s loan-to-value (LTV) limit.
Flare said a simpler process is in development through Flare Smart Accounts. Once launched, it will allow users to access the service directly from the XRP Ledger.
Expanding XRP’s Role in DeFi Flare said the integration addresses one of the biggest challenges facing XRP decentralized finance (DeFi): access to deep stablecoin liquidity.
The company noted that limited borrowing capacity has historically restricted FXRP-based strategies and reduced capital efficiency.
Flare highlighted the network’s growth after the launch of USDT0 as an example. Following the launch, total value locked (TVL) increased from about $37 million to more than $120 million within two weeks.
By connecting FXRP with institutional RLUSD liquidity, Flare expects borrowing demand on Ethereum to create additional demand for FXRP minted through the FAssets protocol.
Institutional Review Clears FXRP as Collateral Before approving FXRP as collateral, Sentora conducted a risk assessment that examined the asset’s behavior, oracle reliability, and available liquidity for liquidations and withdrawals.
Flare CEO Hugo Philion said the integration marks an important step for XRP’s utility beyond payments.
“XRP is one of the largest assets in crypto and one of the least used in DeFi. That gap came down to infrastructure. FXRP closed part of it by making XRP programmable. This closes another part. XRP is now collateral that an institutional risk team underwrites on Ethereum mainnet.”
Jesus Rodriguez, Co-Founder and CTO-CPO of Sentora, said enabling FXRP as collateral expands XRP’s role in decentralized credit markets. In his words:
“By enabling FXRP as collateral in our RLUSD vaults, we are bringing that scale into DeFi and expanding the productive utility of XRP across onchain credit markets.”
More XRP DeFi Integrations Ahead Meanwhile, Flare said the current launch is the first step toward broader XRP-backed lending options. Future updates include direct FXRP minting from the XRP Ledger to Ethereum, removing the need for a separate bridging process.
Flare Smart Accounts are also expected to allow XRP holders to borrow RLUSD directly from the XRP Ledger without using Ethereum interfaces.
The company added that Sentora’s approval could encourage other Morpho vault curators to adopt FXRP as collateral. This could increase the amount of stablecoin liquidity available to XRP holders across decentralized finance.

Circle oznámila 11 zakládajících validátorů pro blockchain Arc, včetně BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, DTCC a Galaxy. Arc je síť Layer-1 pro institucionální platby a tokenizaci aktiv.
Circle has revealed the 11 founding validators for its Arc blockchain, underscoring the participation of prominent financial institutions such as BlackRock, Visa, and Mastercard. Arc, which is powered by USDC, is designed as a Layer-1 blockchain for institutional payments and the tokenization of financial assets.
Financial giants join Arc launchArc’s founding validators also include DTCC, Galaxy, Global Payments, ICE, MoneyGram, SBI Group, Standard Chartered, and Sumitomo Corporation. According to a post by Coin Bureau on X, the roster signals a significant step as leading global payment and financial processing companies move to play a direct role in emerging blockchain ecosystems.
USDC issuer Circle, a key player in digital finance infrastructure, recently secured full National Trust Bank approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, enabling it to expand its institutional service offerings further.
Arc brings a new degree of institutional credibility with the involvement of longtime traditional finance leaders such as BlackRock, Visa, and Mastercard, joining technical and financial specialists in the validation process.
ChartNerd, a crypto market analyst, emphasized that this development not only highlights Arc’s institutional credentials but could also have wider implications for blockchain sector partnerships.
Ripple’s connections with Arc participantsShifting focus to Ripple, ChartNerd pointed out that the company already maintains established relationships with several institutions featured in Arc’s validator group. Ripple, a fintech company known for its cross-border payment solutions powered by the XRP Ledger, has engaged in strategic partnerships within the sector for over a decade.
He specifically named SBI Group, which reportedly holds a 9% equity stake in Ripple. He also referenced Ripple’s interactions with BlackRock’s BUIDL and Securitize for smart-contract based solutions, as well as joint tokenization pilots involving JPMorgan and Ondo.
Mastercard’s exploration of agentic payments on the XRP Ledger and Standard Chartered’s longstanding investment in Ripple were cited as further examples of these overlapping networks.
The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), a major provider of clearing and settlement services in US markets, is also present in both Arc’s validator lineup and Ripple’s ecosystem, participating in tokenization initiatives such as Ripple Prime.
Mini dictionary: DTCC (Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation), a US-based financial services company that provides clearing, settlement, and information services for equities, corporate and municipal bonds, government and mortgage-backed securities, and other financial instruments.
Approval process for RippleChartNerd underlined the significance of regulatory timelines for Ripple, reporting that the company has until July 2027 to obtain full approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. This follows the conditional approval Ripple received in December 2025, launching an 18-month window to fulfill final requirements.
The potential for Ripple to fully realize its infrastructure stack and deliver financial services across the asset lifecycle hinges on regulatory clearance, in addition to its track record of institutional partnerships.
If Ripple secures the necessary approvals, ChartNerd indicated that its technology could serve a broader set of institutions, drawing on these integrated relationships and experience in payments and tokenization.

He emphasized that while Circle’s validator group features several companies with Ripple ties, this does not automatically mean these institutions will integrate with the XRP Ledger or use Ripple’s solutions.
The convergence of major financial institutions in blockchain validator roles reflects growing interest in tokenization and digital payments. ChartNerd identified Ripple’s next step as leveraging its network of partnerships, along with a comprehensive regulatory approval, to expand its footprint in institutional financial services.

IMC-Chicago, market maker s AUM 418 miliard USD, ve 2. čtvrtletí výrazně navýšil expozici v XRP ETF a otevřel nové call opce na Bitwise XRP ETF a XXRP. Zároveň drží 135 900 put opcí na XXRP jako zajištění.
IMC-Chicago, a proprietary trading firm and market maker with $418 billion AUM, has disclosed massive holdings in XRP ETFs. The trading giant also revealed millions in options positions, increasing its bullish calls on multiple XRP ETF positions.
IMC-Chicago Bullish on XRP as it Boosts Exposure in ETFs Chicago-based market maker IMC-Chicago disclosed significant exposure to multiple XRP ETFs in its Q2 filing with the US SEC. The firm has boosted its total portfolio value by almost 50% this quarter amid rising interest in crypto and other areas.
IMC-Chicago opened key positions in multiple spot and leveraged XRP exchange-traded funds, along with direct holdings. The trading firm purchased 28,237 shares in Bitwise XRP ETF, 12,207 shares in Teucrium 2x Long Daily XRP ETF (XXRP), and 10,531 shares in Volatility Shares 2x XRP ETF (XRPT).
In addition, the firm opened new call bets in Bitwise XRP ETF and XXRP. IMC-Chicago also held call positions in Canary XRP ETF, XXRP, XRPT, and ProShares Ultra XRP ETF. This indicates the firm has turned more bullish on XRP amid Ripple and XRPL’s tokenization push.
Meanwhile, the presence of 135,900 put options on the leveraged Teucrium ETF XXRP indicates hedging activity. This comes as crypto market uncertainty remained high amid the US-Iran war.
The disclosure comes as institutional interest in XRP continues to grow. As CoinGape reported earlier, $3.6 billion AUM EverSource Wealth Advisors disclosed significant holdings in multiple XRP funds. Also, Bank of America (BofA) holds 13,000 shares of the Volatility Shares XRP exchange-traded fund.
Will XRP Price Bounce amid Growing Institutional Interest? XRP price has rebounded nearly 2% after falling, following Senate Majority Leader John Thune promised Clarity Act vote first in September. The price is still trading in the red at $1.03, with a 24-hour low and high of $1.02 and $1.05, respectively.
The latest rebound comes amid a consistent rise in trading volume over the last 24 hours, while Ripple announces XRPL 3.3.0 upgrade. Institutional interest also helped resist further fall. Notably, Grayscale’s GDLC ETF increased XRP weight in the fund and growing institutional interest in XRP.
However, the derivatives market shows mixed activity today, as per CoinGlass data. The total XRP futures open interest held near $2.35 billion amid whale buying and XRP ETF inflows. The cumulative inflows in XRP exchange-traded funds have reached above $1.51 billion, as funds saw $3.45 million in inflows on Thursday.
As per the latest XRP price prediction, XRP price has immediate resistance at $1.08. A breakout may trigger the price to $1.12 and then to $1.18. However, failure to stay above $1.00 may expose XRP to $0.96 and $0.92 support levels.

Crypto analyst Dark Defender has publicly declared that the CLARITY Act will secure XRP’s status as a commodity in United States law, making future reversals by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) impossible. He shared strong confidence that the U.S. Senate will pass the legislation soon, directly endorsing its swift approval.
Dark Defender voices confidence in SenateDark Defender articulated unwavering belief in the Senate at a time when the vote on the CLARITY Act remains unscheduled, with the August recess approaching. His conviction comes despite ongoing uncertainty about the bill’s path to a floor vote.
“Clarity Act will write XRP’s commodity status into LAW, a permanence that no future SEC chair could undo. I trust the US Senate will pass it shortly.”
Dark Defender, known for his analyses on social media, firmly asserted that the bill’s passage would make XRP’s legal status “untouchable,” shielding it from future regulatory changes by new leadership at the SEC. His comments addressed growing anticipation within the cryptocurrency community regarding the legal foundation for XRP and similar digital assets.
Status and hurdles of the CLARITY ActThe CLARITY Act requires 60 Senate votes for passage. The current tally stands at 51 confirmed supporters, including signals from 7 to 10 Democratic senators. Collecting 9 Democratic votes would be sufficient to meet the threshold.
Required VotesConfirmed SupportDemocrats Signaling Support60517-10The bill’s main obstacle is a dispute regarding whether state attorneys general should be authorized to sue the Department of Justice over ethics enforcement. Republican senators and the White House oppose this provision, while Democratic senators continue to push for it. Senators Tom Tillis and Ruben Gallego are engaged in negotiations to find a resolution.
Former Fox Business journalist Eleanor Terrett recently stated that a breakthrough could be imminent, but noted that approval from President Donald Trump will be necessary for the bill to move forward. August 7 marks the final scheduled Senate workday before the recess, and a cloture motion filed today means the earliest procedural vote would occur on Friday, unless all senators agree to an earlier date.
Senator Cynthia Lummis mentioned the possibility of keeping the Senate in session over the weekend to conduct a vote if needed.
Mini dictionary: CLARITY Act, a proposed U.S. law aimed at explicitly classifying certain digital assets such as XRP as commodities, clarifying the boundaries between the SEC and CFTC on digital asset oversight.
Dark Defender’s statement sparked a divided response from the XRP community. Some investors remain optimistic, speculating that a Senate vote could take place as soon as Friday or Saturday, and expressing hope for positive price movement in XRP if the bill passes. Supporters point to Senator Lummis’s remarks about extended Senate sessions as a reason for optimism.
Some community members have discussed the possibility of a weekend vote, suggesting Senate leaders could act quickly if a compromise is reached.
In contrast, skeptics doubt the Senate will act before the recess, citing ongoing institutional disagreements and perceived delays. Some have voiced distrust toward the Senate and questioned whether the U.S. is intentionally slowing progress to allow international competitors to move ahead in the digital asset sector.
XRP’s legal status and timelineEarlier this year, both the SEC and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) identified XRP as a commodity rather than a security. If the CLARITY Act passes, this status would be enshrined in federal law and protect XRP from future regulatory changes by the SEC. Senator Lummis cautioned that failure to pass the bill could postpone new crypto regulations until 2030, urging lawmakers to act swiftly.
