Ripple stablecoin product lead Lauren Berta has highlighted an upcoming XRP Ledger feature that could matter greatly for the RLUSD stablecoin: permission delegation.
Version 3.3.0 of xrpld, the reference server implementation of the XRP Ledger protocol, released earlier this month, introduced XLS-75—'PermissionDelegationV1_1: Granular account Permission Delegation.'
The Permission Delegation amendment is currently up for validator voting on the XRP Ledger, and according to Berta, has the potential to unlock an important capability for institutions issuing regulated assets on XRPL.

Permission Delegation is currently up for validator voting on the XRP Ledger, and it has the potential to unlock an important capability for institutions issuing regulated assets on XRPL.
Here's why that matters for $RLUSD and every regulated token on the ledger. 🧵
— Lauren (@rootveg444) August 21, 2026 In a lengthy threaded post, Berta explains why permission delegation matters for RLUSD and every regulated token on the ledger. Currently, an XRPL token issuer account controls key functions like minting, freezing, clawback, or trust line authorization. For regulated issuers, those responsibilities often sit across different teams such as compliance, operations, security, and others.
You Might Also Like
The Permission Delegation feature is designed to reflect this reality as it allows issuers to delegate specific actions to separate accounts while keeping the issuer account secure. Berta cited an instance where the compliance team gets freeze and clawback, Ops gets mint and burn, and a KYC provider gets trust line authorization, while each team uses its own keys.
Berta noted that this separation of duties is how stablecoin issuers operate on other chains, with different teams being responsible for different functions. The Ripple stablecoin product lead added that Permission Delegation will enable this same operational structure for RLUSD on the XRP Ledger, natively at the protocol level, which is entirely distinct from multisig.
Multisig vs Permission DelegationWhile multisig requires parties to approve a transaction, delegation authorizes an account to perform a specific action on another's behalf.
You Might Also Like
"One splits approval authority. The other splits responsibilities," Berta added, noting that multisig and permission delegation solve different problems. Importantly, delegation does not mean giving up control.
Permission delegation remains essential as stablecoin issuers, RWA tokenizers, and asset managers bringing regulated instruments onchain need ways to separate the teams moving assets, enforcing compliance, and managing security.
While permission delegation is currently in validator voting, in parallel, the RLUSD team is building and testing the functionality on devnet in preparation for its activation.
In a notable milestone, Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin total circulating supply has topped $2 billion.
Na XRP Ledger už AI agenti provedli přes milion transakcí bez lidského zásahu. Nový XRPL AI Starter Kit a Mastercard Agent Pay for Machines mají platby v XRP a RLUSD posunout do běžného provozu.
AI now goes beyond simple analysis and advisory functions. It already makes payments. Thanks to the advent and development of autonomous agents capable of conducting banking and commercial transactions, the role of the XRP Ledger will undergo an evolution. In addition to its function as a visible settlement infrastructure, the network could also serve as a secondary financial layer, directly solicited by machines. This revolution also shifts the question of adoption. Beyond the traded volumes, the value of the blockchain would now be assessed by its ability to automate various payments, organize flows, and make the network almost invisible to users.
In Brief More than one million transactions have already been executed without human intervention by AI agents on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). The launch of the XRPL AI Starter Kit and the integration of Mastercard’s Agent Pay for Machines program structure payments in XRP and RLUSD. AI agents are evolving towards concrete purchases governed by budgets, merchant restrictions, and strict mandates. The use of XRPL Payment Channels aggregates thousands of off-chain micro-transactions to preserve network scalability. The Rise of Spending Mandates and Trade Automation on the XRP Network The transition from automated programs to full-fledged economic actors surpasses a critical phase on the XRPL. Indeed, Chandler Fang, co-founder of the trusted startup for AI agents t54 and former product manager at Ripple with experience at J.P. Morgan, highlighted this shift by noting that machine-to-machine transactions are no longer theoretical. For him, agents already conduct more than one million transactions on the XRP Ledger without human presence in the system.
Since June 10, this momentum has been built through the launch of the XRPL AI Starter Kit. This kit allows making x402 payments in XRP using the Ripple(USD) stablecoin for compensating computing resources, model inference, or API access. This methodology expanded commercially the same day following the inauguration of Mastercard’s “Agent Pay for Machines” program. The launch brought together more than thirty partners including Coinbase, Stripe, the Solana Foundation, and Ripple via its subsidiary RippleX.
Furthermore, the system integrates crypto settlement channels within traditional payment infrastructures for invoice processing. It also reserves computing capacity without prior human validation. Given these deployments and a $5 million financial support granted to t54 by Ripple and Franklin Templeton during a seed round, Chandler Fang stated: “this changes how we should think about XRPL adoption”.
This gradual progression is based on a strict evolution of authorization mechanisms granted to software. After consuming exclusively digital services at the core of automated workflows, agents move toward spending mandates regulated by concise budgets, merchant limitations, and user-set approval rules.
The network now requires the development of crypto wallets associated with configurable financial instruments. Concerning merchants, this deployment necessitates software adaptation capable of presenting prices, stock status, delivery conditions, and settlement interfaces in a form readable by autonomous systems. Ultimately, agents that build a reliable history regarding identity, transactions, and reimbursements will no longer be pre-funded operation by operation. They will immediately receive financial capacities or lines of credit.
Numerous strategic initiatives and technical developments make up this new stage of institutional adoption :
Strong institutional anchoring : the $5 million financial support obtained by t54 from Ripple and Franklin Templeton validates the industrial relevance of trusted infrastructures for AI ; Bank interoperability : RippleX’s integration into Mastercard’s “Agent Pay for Machines” program brings together major crypto players and payment giants within a single framework ; Standardization of x402 payments : the combined use of XRP and RLUSD ensures full flexibility between rapid settlement and monetary stability for microservices. Off-Chain Payment Channels to Crypto Coexistence The increase in commercial flows driven by artificial intelligence does not mean that every price comparison or compliance check materializes by a direct inscription on the XRPL. To preserve the ecosystem’s capacity against high-frequency requests, the architecture relies on XRPL Payment Channels.
This process allows two parties to exchange signed claims in XRP off the global consensus before settling their final obligation through a single transaction on this ledger. Three workloads emerge: recurring low-value payments for web micro-services, less frequent but higher transactions for enterprise commerce, and thousands of internal operations aggregated before the ultimate on-chain settlement. In this context, settlement needs condition the asset used. Ripple’s crypto XRP plays a routing and direct settlement role, whereas RLUSD provides monetary stability denominated in dollars for certain acquisitions.
There is thus a functional operational complementarity between these two assets within the network. While the XRP crypto retains its appeal for cross-border liquidity and immediate interoperability, the RLUSD stablecoin secures the accounting predictability required by companies for managing their IT subscriptions or stocks. This coexistence between the two settlement instruments facilitates infrastructure adaptation to regulatory and financial requirements of institutional actors, without forgetting the optimization of transaction costs for continuously made micropayments.
The Disappearance of Graphical Interfaces in Favor of Backend Banking Adoption Such infrastructure will become completely invisible to the end user in the long term. Embedded directly within treasury platforms, logistics software, or institutional financial applications, agents will assess risks and handle blockchain infrastructure selection in the background without any interface manipulation by the individual. In this perspective, Chandler Fang emphasizes: “long-term adoption does not require every person to open an XRPL wallet or consciously choose a blockchain before accomplishing a task”.
Thus, transaction volume no longer constitutes a relevant adoption metric. The network will now be evaluated based on the recurrence of operations, gains generated by merchants, strict respect of assigned budgets, as well as efficiency in dispute settlement. As the former Ripple manager concluded: “by then, XRPL will not be judged solely on agents’ capacity to use it. It will be judged on the amount of useful economic activity they choose to settle on it”.
This transition therefore sets the crucial milestones for integrating decentralized ledgers into the global economic fabric. While this shift to transparent fundamental transactions promises to resolve interoperability issues between traditional banking systems and blockchains, adoption speed will depend exclusively on the robustness of security standards imposed on agents.
The analogy drawn by Chandler Fang with the emergence of ChatGPT recalls that infrastructure deployment seems long and uncertain before suddenly appearing as an obvious solution to the general public. It is now up to developers and financial institutions to test the resilience of these aggregation channels, as the true measure of success for the XRP Ledger’s industrial achievement will lie in its ability to support this secure payload.

XRP ve čtvrtek vyskočil o více než 17 % na intradenní maximum 1,43 USD poté, co Ripple podpořil úpravu PermissionDelegationV1_1 pro XRPL. Současně do US spot XRP ETF přiteklo 13,24 milionu USD.
XRP recorded a significant price increase on Thursday, surging over 17% to reach an intraday peak of $1.43. The spike coincided with Ripple’s official support for the PermissionDelegationV1_1 amendment on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), which advances core upgrades anticipated in the forthcoming XRPL version 3.3.0. However, the proposed feature still requires broader consensus among network validators before it can be implemented.
Validator Voting and Amendment ProgressOut of 35 validators listed in the Unique Node List, only 7 have voted in favor of the PermissionDelegationV1_1 amendment so far. Ripple added its vote to the tally, but as a single validator, it cannot control the amendment process. For the change to be enacted on the XRPL, more than 80% of validators must support it for two consecutive weeks. If this threshold is not met or support drops below 80%, the voting period restarts from zero and validators retain the option to reverse their votes at any stage.
The PermissionDelegationV1_1 amendment allows account owners to authorize another account for specific transaction types, enhancing the flexibility and usability of XRPL accounts. This delegated authority is limited in scope and does not extend to all payments or changes in account settings, preserving owner control and security.
Implications and Additional ProposalsRole-based permission systems, similar to the proposed amendment, are widely used by financial organizations to restrict data access and operational control among employees and service providers. By giving precise permissions to distinct accounts, organizations can enhance security without compromising efficiency.
Jazzi Cooper, RippleX head of product, emphasized the importance of establishing appropriate controls for regulated firms engaging with public ledgers. She explained that token issuance is a necessity for on-chain activities, and consistent standards are crucial. The PermissionDelegationV1_1 amendment adheres to the XLS-75 standard and replaces a previous version that was disabled due to a critical software bug, which this update now addresses and corrects.
Node operators are urged to upgrade and run software with approved amendments to maintain network compatibility. Running outdated software may result in amendment blocks if the node cannot process updated protocol rules.
Jazzi Cooper highlighted the need for regulated organizations to have adequate controls when issuing tokenized assets on public ledgers, pointing out that the PermissionDelegationV1_1 amendment responds to this requirement while upholding XRPL’s security framework.
Other XRPL Upgrades and Market DynamicsRipple also signaled support for two additional amendment proposals: Single Asset Vault (XLS-65) and Lending Protocol (XLS-66). These received support from 40% and more than 37% of validators, respectively, which remains below the 80% supermajority threshold needed for activation.
The Single Asset Vault feature offers a mechanism to aggregate a singular asset, such as XRP, RLUSD, or similar ledger tokens, enabling shareholders to hold proportional ownership within the vault. Meanwhile, the Lending Protocol proposes fixed-term credit issuance and pooled liquidity, supported by off-chain credit evaluations. Security reviews of the lending protocol code, including a re-audit by Halborn in June, flagged no major or high-severity vulnerabilities.
Validator approval solely enables such features on-chain and does not alter any regulatory requirements for XRP, RLUSD, securities, or lending. These developments underscore the incremental expansion of functionality on XRPL.
Market Activity and Tokenization TrendsFollowing a recent low at $1.22, XRP surged roughly 40% over the past week, driven by higher spot prices and active short-covering. Trading volume in spot markets soared 156% during the rally, reflecting increased investor participation. ETF flows also intensified: net inflows into US spot XRP ETFs totaled $13.24 million on Thursday, with Bitwise adding $9.9 million and Franklin Templeton $3.34 million. Open interest in XRP futures expanded to $3.44 billion, gaining 17% in the last 24 hours. CME, Binance, and Hyperliquid exchanges saw respective increases in open interest of 35%, 15%, and 29%.
These blockchain innovations are part of a broader trend in financial markets. While traditional systems depend on multiple intermediaries, a shift toward Web3 is revolutionizing asset handling. Wall Street firms and investors now leverage platforms like 1stepSwap to directly hold shares of major US companies, gold, and silver in their crypto wallets. These platforms tokenize Real-World Assets (RWAs) and use smart routing to identify optimal market prices in seconds, effectively eliminating the need for middlemen.
The PermissionDelegationV1_1 amendment will enable XRPL account owners to delegate authority for certain transaction types, providing greater flexibility and closer alignment with institutional security standards.

XRP vystoupal na sedmiměsíční maximum 1,67 USD a za den si připsal 15 %. XRP ETF zároveň zaznamenaly čisté denní přílivy 18,3 milionu USD, nejvíc za tři měsíce.
XRP extended its bullish streak, cleared the $1.50 resistance, and reached a seven-month high of $1.67. The altcoin later retraced to $1.5114 but remained up 15% on the daily chart.
The rally coincided with an 89% increase in Trading Volume, reflecting stronger market participation.
Are whales and institutions buying XRP? XRP maintained its upward trajectory as demand strengthened across Spot and institutional markets.
Whale activity first showed that large holders had reduced transfers toward exchanges. The Whale to Exchange Flow fell to 336, returning to levels recorded before the market recovered three days earlier.
Source: CryptoQuant Falling Whale to Exchange Flow showed that fewer whale-linked transfers reached exchanges. This decline suggested weaker immediate selling pressure, although it did not confirm fresh whale purchases.
Meanwhile, institutional demand added another layer of support.
Source: SoSoValue Whale Insider reported that Bitwise’s XRP ETF recorded $16.9 million in Daily Net Inflows. The fund marked its third consecutive day of positive flows.
Overall, XRP ETFs attracted $18.3 million, recording their highest Daily Net Inflows in three months. These purchases reflected stronger institutional demand as XRP challenged its seven-month high.
However, the derivatives market showed where that confidence could become unstable.
Can XRP survive rising leverage? XRP recorded heavy liquidations across both sides of the derivatives market.
Over 24 hours, $59.7 million in Long Positions and $49 million in Short Positions were liquidated. Total Liquidations exceeded $109 million, showing that volatility punished traders on both sides.
Source: CoinGlass Even so, Open Interest increased 10% to $3.68 billion. Derivatives Volume also jumped 65% to $19.2 billion, showing that traders continued speculating despite recent losses.
Source: CoinGlass Rising Open Interest confirmed additional exposure but did not reveal whether traders favored Long or Short Positions. This leverage could amplify XRP’s next move, whichever direction price takes.
XRP’s bullish structure remained intact as market demand held steady. The Relative Vigor Index [RVGI] climbed to 0.49, reflecting stronger bullish momentum and buyer control.
Source: TradingView Meanwhile, the Momentum Indicator rose to 0.53, supporting the possibility of trend continuation.
If demand holds, XRP could target the $1.94 resistance next. However, another liquidation wave could weaken the rally and expose the $1.30 support.
Final Summary

Ripple loni zpracoval transakce v objemu 16 bilionů USD díky akvizicím Hidden Road a G-Treasury. Garlinghouse uvedl, že na řetězci se zatím vypořádává jen asi 0,1 % objemu.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has disclosed that Ripple’s business ecosystem processed $16 trillion in transactions last year, highlighting the growing scale of the company’s global financial operations. This figure reflects the combined transaction volume from newly acquired businesses that now operate under Ripple.
Major acquisitions drive transaction volumeGarlinghouse attributed Ripple’s $16 trillion transaction total to the integration of two acquisitions completed during the previous year. The company acquired Hidden Road, a non-bank prime broker responsible for approximately $3 trillion in cleared transactions, and G-Treasury, a treasury management software provider which processed $13 trillion in transaction activity.
Today, Ripple operates these entities as Ripple Prime and Ripple Treasury, forming the backbone of the company’s expanding business. Garlinghouse described the resulting combined transaction volume as similar in scale to the activity handled by large global payment processors such as Visa.
Both Ripple Prime and Ripple Treasury are currently experiencing what Garlinghouse described as record years, and the CEO expressed confidence that the overall volume will continue to climb. He stated that the company anticipates increasing financial activity as demand among corporate clients rises.
Ripple’s combined transaction flow through its acquired businesses reached $16 trillion last year, a figure Garlinghouse compared to Visa’s network scale. These segments are reporting record performance, further boosting Ripple’s expectations for transaction growth.
Mini dictionary: G-Treasury is a treasury and cash management software company that assists organizations in automating payments, managing liquidity, and optimizing financial workflows.
On-chain settlement remains limitedGarlinghouse drew attention to the relationship between the total transaction volume and blockchain settlement. He estimated that currently only about 0.1% of Ripple’s $16 trillion in transaction flow settles on-chain in stablecoins, XRP, or similar blockchain-based assets. Each additional 0.1% migrated on-chain could represent an estimated $160 billion in transaction activity.
Ripple’s CEO outlined a long-term goal to boost the share of transaction volume completed with blockchain-based settlement. He said this strategy aims to provide corporate clients with increased efficiency in terms of speed, cost, and transaction certainty.
Business UnitTransaction VolumeStatusRipple Prime (Hidden Road)$3 trillionActive, Record YearRipple Treasury (G-Treasury)$13 trillionActive, Record YearTotal Ripple Ecosystem$16 trillionGrowingCorporate demand for stablecoin solutions increasesGarlinghouse observed a recent uptick in outreach from chief financial officers and treasurers, who are now seeking information on blockchain settlement and stablecoin use cases. He explained that many of these inquiries originate from executives unsure how to unlock idle capital distributed across global subsidiaries.
According to Garlinghouse, Ripple has been asked to assist these organizations in maximizing global liquidity and improving operational flexibility by utilizing stablecoins and other blockchain technologies. This increasing attention from financial decision-makers points to broader adoption of blockchain within established corporate finance practices.
Executives are now turning to Ripple for guidance on how stablecoins and blockchain systems can help unlock trapped corporate capital and manage global liquidity more efficiently.
Emphasis shifts to real utility in the crypto sectorAddressing cryptocurrency market dynamics, Garlinghouse emphasized the importance of developing real-world utility, suggesting that industry sustainability relies on genuine use cases rather than speculation or meme coins.
He outlined how Ripple’s expansion into large-scale financial services positions the company to demonstrate tangible benefits for institutional clients, especially as more businesses explore blockchain-based settlement.
While most of Ripple’s activity currently remains off-chain, Garlinghouse believes the growing shift toward on-chain settlement could result in significant increases in blockchain transaction volume going forward.

Brad Garlinghouse uvedl, že Ripple během čtyřleté bitvy se SEC utratil 150 milionů USD za právníky. Kvůli nejistotě firma při žalobě přesunula 80 % náboru mimo USA.
Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, addressed the CFTC Innovation Advisory Committee, outlining the company’s four-year legal battle with the SEC and the impact of regulatory uncertainty on both Ripple and the digital asset industry in the United States.
$150 million in legal costs over four yearsGarlinghouse began by thanking the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) for its hospitality and quickly moved to the difficulties Ripple faced under the previous administration. He described Ripple as being “at the center of the bullseye of the SEC’s lawfare,” noting that leadership at the regulatory level had a direct effect on the industry’s trajectory.
He provided figures to demonstrate the toll: Ripple paid $150 million in legal fees to external counsel during its extended fight. Garlinghouse explained that most companies would not have survived such pressures, as many firms in the sector were “bullied into submission” even before lawsuits were filed. He emphasized that the challenges Ripple faced shaped the entire industry’s perception of the regulatory landscape at that time.
Ripple devoted $150 million to external legal defense against the SEC over a four-year period, a level of expenditure that Garlinghouse argued would have crippled smaller firms and discouraged broader industry participation.
Ripple’s global hiring shiftsBeyond legal costs, Garlinghouse highlighted the operational impact. He revealed that 80% of Ripple’s hiring during the court case occurred outside the United States. He cited the establishment of Ripple’s second-largest office in London as a direct response to the regulatory environment in the U.S. at that time.
Garlinghouse connected this trend to business fundamentals, arguing that companies will not invest or create jobs where long-term strategic planning is not possible. This, in his view, has affected where capital and talent flow within the crypto sector, reflecting a wider trend among digital asset firms.
Mini dictionary: CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission) – The CFTC is a US government agency that regulates derivatives markets, including futures, options, and swaps. Its role is to promote integrity, resilience, and vibrancy in US derivatives markets through sound regulation.
Shifting regulatory tone in the United StatesGarlinghouse observed that the current administration and regulators, including both the CFTC and the SEC, have shifted their stance and introduced a new approach for the sector. He described the change as substantial, stating that there is a consensus among stakeholders that the previous situation failed consumers and stifled innovation.
According to Garlinghouse, clearer regulations are needed to defend both users and industry growth. Well-defined guidelines can protect users and ensure corporate accountability, enabling responsible development of new financial technologies.
Garlinghouse pointed to the technologies discussed at the CFTC event as proof that with regulatory certainty, cross-border payments can become faster, more efficient, and more widely accessible, but achieving this potential hinges on clear rules of the road.
Future outlook for XRP and the broader crypto industryGarlinghouse’s remarks came soon after his attendance at a White House summit focused on digital assets. For XRP holders and digital asset advocates, his statements signaled renewed confidence in the regulatory environment. Ripple is now adopting a more proactive stance, reflecting optimism that evolving US policy will support both industry innovation and compliance.
Garlinghouse’s comments suggest that Ripple, a technology company specializing in blockchain-based payment solutions, expects to leverage regulatory progress for further growth, both in the US and internationally. Stakeholders are watching for further clarity that would enable domestic investment and hiring while supporting user protection across markets.

Rippleův RLUSD dosahuje tržní kapitalizace 2,035 miliardy USD a na XRP Ledger se jeho nabídka blíží 1 miliardě USD. Na PayPal USD (PYUSD) ztrácí méně než 1 miliardu USD.
Ripple’s U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin, RLUSD, has reached a market capitalization of $2.035 billion, according to recent CoinGecko data. The milestone comes just months after the stablecoin’s launch in December 2024, making RLUSD one of the fastest-rising regulated assets in its category.
Rapid supply growth and XRP Ledger momentumThe current RLUSD supply is approaching $1 billion on the XRP Ledger, indicating rising adoption on Ripple’s native blockchain network. Over the last day, several major minting events were recorded from the RLUSD Treasury, including issuances of 40 million, 25 million, 20 million, 19 million, 14 million, and 12 million RLUSD. This surge in minting activity has injected new liquidity into the ecosystem.
RLUSD’s presence on the XRP Ledger is growing rapidly, with recent issuances adding substantial liquidity to support users and applications within Ripple’s ecosystem.
Much of RLUSD’s recent expansion has taken place on the XRP Ledger, though Ethereum initially served as the primary network following its debut. The shift highlights an increased deployment of RLUSD on Ripple’s proprietary infrastructure.

Ripple (XRP) price is up by 17% today, August 21, to trade at $1.30 at the time of writing. The gains come amid a surge in buying pressure, with data from CoinMarketCap showing that trading volumes are up by 127% in 24 hours to $8.17 billion.
XRP is now forming a falling wedge pattern on the weekly chart that usually suggests that the downtrend that pushed the price from $1.94 in January to $0.99 in August could be over. Meanwhile, Ripple’s CEO Brad Garlinghouse opines that the company will have a record year.
Garlinghouse Says Ripple Will Have a Record Year Garlinghouse was speaking at the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium, where he said that Ripple is on the verge of doubling its revenue in 2026. He attributed this increase in revenue to the acquisitions of Hidden Road and GTreasury in 2025.
His remarks also come at a time when Ripple is expanding its footprint in the traditional finance space. A recent report by CoinGape noted that Ripple is partnering with Clearpool and Cicada to bring institutional credit to the XRP Ledger.
During the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium, Garlinghouse also sparked speculation of Ripple filing for an IPO, saying that the company is no longer entirely opposed to going public.
“We’ve been very happily private for a long time… we are more neutral on the topic than maybe we used to be,” he said.
These remarks coincide with a bullish sentiment across the crypto market that has seen the price of XRP gain by 31% in three days.
XRP Price Creates a Bullish Wedge Pattern The price of XRP is forming a falling wedge pattern on the weekly chart. This pattern usually suggests that the trend is changing from a bearish one to a bullish one.
XRP has also moved above the resistance at the upper trendline of the wedge pattern. Still, it has to close above this resistance to confirm the bullish outlook to move to the next obstacle at $1.71.
The RSI that has moved from an oversold reading of 30 on August 10 to 49 today, August 21, also confirms that the trend is shifting. The current RSI reading shows that selling pressure has eased, and the price of XRP could extend the gains.
The value of XRP today is also testing the resistance at the 200-day EMA of $1.36. If it moves above this EMA, it will confirm that the long-term trend is changing to favor bulls.
XRP Price Chart (Source: TradingView) If this bullish thesis fails and XRP price fails to close above the 200-day EMA, it might drop to the psychological support of $1.20.
XRP ETF Volumes Reach $125 million Data from SoSoValue shows that the total value traded for XRP ETFs has reached $125 million. The Bitwise XRP ETF accounts for the biggest share of these volume numbers, with $83 million traded since the product launched.
The recent 31% gain in XRP price has also increased the demand for XRP ETFs, because they recorded $13.24 million in inflows on August 20. This marks the biggest single-day inflows recorded by the ETFs since June 29.
XRP ETF Flows (Source: SoSoValue) The surge coincides with surging demand for all crypto ETFs after the total inflows reached $885 million on August 20, with Bitcoin (BTC) leading with $606 million in inflows.

Šéfové Coinbase a Ripple ve Washingtonu tlačí na schválení CLARITY Act, který brzdí sporná etická ustanovení. Cílí na jasnější dohled nad digitálními aktivy.
Top executives from Coinbase and Ripple are intensifying efforts in Washington, seeking progress on stalled U.S. cryptocurrency legislation. The ongoing debate focuses on the CLARITY Act, with unresolved ethics provisions identified as the key stumbling block delaying advancement of the market-structure bill.
High-level talks with policymakersCoinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, representing two of the most influential companies in the digital asset sector, recently met with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. These discussions explored potential actions by the White House to maintain bipartisan momentum for crypto reform as the legislative process faces political challenges.
The CLARITY Act is designed to clarify federal oversight of digital assets, aiming to establish defined responsibilities across regulatory agencies. However, language covering ethics requirements has surfaced as a contentious point among lawmakers.
Executives and officials have highlighted that the central divide lies in reconciling the ethical standards embedded in the bill, which remain sensitive for both parties and have become a major factor in delaying progress.
Both industry leaders and government representatives continue to search for wording that could secure bipartisan agreement. President Donald Trump has characterized the legislation as bipartisan and pressed Congress to approve it. Despite these calls, the specific compromise necessary to resolve outstanding concerns has not yet been agreed upon, and there is no immediate prospect of a fully negotiated deal.
Market impact and corporate positioningThe ongoing negotiations reflect a shift in the regulatory discussion: instead of arguments over the classification of digital tokens or market surveillance, the focus is now on political negotiation and legislative strategy. For large, U.S.-based crypto firms, a tangible path toward passing a market-structure law is seen as more significant than continued public advocacy on regulatory clarity.
Coinbase, a leading U.S. cryptocurrency exchange, has frequently argued that without dedicated regulations, businesses face unclear standards around enforcement and registration. Ripple, which operates the enterprise-focused payments network and is closely associated with the XRP token, has become a vocal participant in the policy debate. The company maintains that regulatory outcomes have a direct effect on both its core business and the broader digital asset industry.
Brad Garlinghouse has recently pointed out that nearly 67 million Americans hold crypto, demonstrating the growing mainstream importance of digital assets. This broadening user base is adding pressure for a resolution, but has not led to immediate political consensus regarding the bill’s ethics provisions.
The active engagement of major crypto companies with federal officials suggests growing momentum, rather than a guaranteed outcome for the CLARITY Act. A workable ethics compromise is seen as critical to reviving legislation considered crucial for increased institutional investment in U.S. crypto markets.
A renewed deadlock risks extending the policy ambiguity that has long influenced U.S. crypto company strategies and asset valuations, highlighting the industry’s reliance on developments in federal lawmaking.
The CLARITY Act continues to serve as a bellwether for institutional confidence in the regulatory landscape. Its fate may ultimately rest on whether lawmakers can reach a consensus on ethics, rather than technical concerns tied to digital asset oversight.
Mini dictionary: CLARITY Act, a proposed U.S. federal legislative measure seeking to define regulatory standards and responsibilities for the cryptocurrency and digital asset markets, with the aim of providing legal certainty for market participants.

XRP ve čtvrtek vyskočil o více než 25 % na 1,245 USD díky silné akumulaci velkých držitelů. Další impuls přinesl start institucionálního úvěru na XRPL.
XRP experienced a notable rally on Thursday, jumping over 25% to reach $1.245, in a move that mirrors Bitcoin’s breakout past $72,000. The sharp price increase followed several weeks of growing accumulation by large XRP holders, commonly known as whales.
Whale accumulation intensifiesOnchain data from CryptoQuant confirmed that average spot order sizes for XRP have remained in the highest range throughout 2026, reflecting steady accumulation by big players. Crypto analyst Ali noted that, within a 96-hour period, whales acquired 300 million XRP tokens, characterizing the buying activity as “crazy.”
Santiment, an onchain analytics platform, observed a rise in millionaire wallets holding XRP. Over the last three months, the number of wallets holding at least $1 million in XRP increased by 32, underscoring renewed confidence among large holders.
Recent activity demonstrates that whales purchased 300 million XRP tokens within just four days, while millionaire-level XRP wallets have increased by 32 in three months, highlighting sustained interest from major investors.
This sustained whale activity coincided with increased trading momentum. From Wednesday’s low of $0.99, XRP’s price rallied to a peak of $1.245, marking a significant intraday gain. At the time of reporting, XRP had recorded a 22% daily increase to stand at $1.23, fostering optimism in the community.

Increased open interest often signals heightened engagement from both institutional and high-volume retail traders in the derivatives market.
Santiment pointed out that last weekend brought the highest level of XRP network activity seen in more than two months. This surge follows a recent period when network activity neared its lowest point for 2026.
Across both spot and derivatives markets, XRP has seen a strong resurgence in volume and investor participation, with metrics returning to levels not observed since earlier in the year.
Institutional-grade credit debuts on XRPLMomentum for XRP was further boosted by the introduction of institutional-grade credit to the XRP Ledger (XRPL). Cicada Partners announced the launch of a new credit initiative, leveraging infrastructure provided by Clearpool. This new pipeline is built on the XRPL Lending Protocol and the Single Asset Vault product.
Ripple, the global payments company behind the XRP Ledger, acts as a Liquidity Provider within this new credit fund, supplying capital along with other major institutional investors. The addition of these players aims to bring traditional credit opportunities and borrower pipelines directly to the XRPL ecosystem.

XRP price spikes nearly 19%XRP has delivered an even more dramatic move over the same period. The token was trading at around $1.22 at the time of writing, up 18.8% over 24 hours, according to the supplied market data.
XRP climbed from a 24-hour low of about $1.03 to as high as $1.24, marking a move of roughly 20% from the session's bottom. The token was also up 21.2% over seven days, while its 30-day gain stood at 16.5%.
Brad Garlinghouse řekl, že Ripple je k IPO „více neutrální“ než dříve. Firma přitom loni dokončila akvizice za 2,5 miliardy USD a za dva roky odkoupila podíly za 3 miliardy USD.
Crypto analyst Xaif recently published a video of Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse addressing a live audience at the 2026 Wyoming Blockchain Symposium, a key industry event jointly hosted in Jackson Hole by SALT and the cryptocurrency exchange Kraken. In the clip, Garlinghouse responded to a question about the company’s position on going public, noting a change in attitude that has drawn attention from the XRP investor community.
Ripple’s evolving IPO strategyDuring the session, Garlinghouse acknowledged that Ripple has long operated as a private company. He pointed out that, in the previous year, Ripple had completed $2.5 billion worth of acquisitions without relying on public financing. Additionally, over the past two years, Ripple conducted $3 billion in shareholder tender offers, providing liquidity to early backers.
Garlinghouse’s remarks suggested a shift from Ripple’s historic reluctance toward an IPO. “We have been very happily private for a long time,” he stated, but went on to clarify, “We’re more neutral on the topic than maybe we used to be.” This measured openness suggests that Ripple is no longer categorically opposed to becoming a public company.
Garlinghouse explained that while Ripple remains private, the company’s attitude toward a potential IPO has changed, noting, “We’re more neutral on the topic than maybe we used to be.”
This evolving stance did not go unnoticed by market observers such as Xaif, who highlighted that Ripple’s tone had moved from resistant to neutral, especially following recent acquisitions and major shareholder liquidity events.
Consolidation and growth strategyGarlinghouse emphasized the increasing consolidation across the cryptocurrency industry, as larger firms acquire smaller competitors during cyclical downturns. Drawing from his experience across five separate crypto market cycles, he said that Ripple’s ongoing acquisition activity positions it as a consolidator, strengthening its market presence.
Going public could offer strategic advantages for Ripple, including greater access to capital markets, a higher public profile, and expanded options for future deal-making. The significant financial groundwork laid through multi-billion-dollar acquisitions and tender offers has built a strong foundation for any potential public transition.
Mini dictionary: Shareholder tender offer, a process in which a company offers to buy back shares from existing investors, often to provide liquidity or alter ownership structure.
Potential impact for XRPFor the XRP community, a Ripple IPO would represent a major development. As XRP is used within Ripple’s payment infrastructure, broader transparency and increased institutional participation following a public offering could benefit token holders. Greater visibility and regulatory compliance bolstered by a listing may also strengthen Ripple’s case in financial markets.
The prospect of Ripple accessing public markets could lead to higher institutional access for XRP and augment Ripple’s visibility in the regulated finance sector.
Current position and future outlookRipple’s openness to a potential IPO arrives shortly after the company resolved its long-running legal dispute with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The firm has continued to expand through strategic acquisitions, further consolidating its position in the digital assets sector.
Garlinghouse’s latest comments do not confirm immediate plans for an IPO, but indicate Ripple’s leadership is reassessing previous resistance to going public. This shift draws considerable interest from both institutional investors and retail participants in the broader cryptocurrency market.

XRPL zvažuje standard XLS-66 pro půjčky s pevnou úrokovou sazbou z poolů aktiv. Broker by spravoval půjčky i riziko, zatímco úvěrové posouzení by zůstalo mimo blockchain.
XRPL is considering XLS-66, a lending standard for fixed-term loans funded through pooled assets. The proposal would rely on XLS-65 Single Asset Vaults, where depositors receive shares representing their pool ownership. Loan brokers would manage lending pools, set fees, approve loans, and determine first-loss capital requirements. Credit checks and borrower assessment would remain off-chain rather than using automatic collateral liquidations. Brokers could post first-loss capital to reduce depositor losses if borrowers default. The XRP Ledger (XRPL) is reviewing a lending standard that could allow pooled assets to fund fixed-term loans on XRPL. The draft, XLS-66, would use XLS-65 Single Asset Vaults to collect assets from depositors and issue shares that represent their stake in each pool.
A loan broker would create and manage the pool, approve loans, set fees, and define first-loss capital. The structure could support XRP, issuer-backed assets or Multi-Purpose Tokens, while access could remain public or restricted.
XRPL Vaults Would Hold Pooled Lending Assets Under XLS-65, depositors would place one asset into a vault and receive shares based on their contribution. Those shares would show ownership, but they would not guarantee immediate access to cash once the pool funds loans.
Each pool would need withdrawal rules. Terms could explain whether requests enter a queue, whether lending limits apply, and how much liquid capital remains available while loans stay open.
XLS-66 would allow a broker and borrower to create a loan with principal, interest rate, payment schedule, maturity date and grace period. The loan record would track unpaid principal and interest on the ledger.
The system would support late-interest rules, origination fees, and early repayment charges. If a borrower misses payments beyond the grace period, the broker could mark the loan as impaired or defaulted.
Credit Checks Would Remain Off-Chain The proposal focuses on uncollateralized lending and does not add automatic collateral sales or forced liquidations. Brokers would assess borrowers outside XRP Ledger using financial records, legal agreements, guarantees, trading history, or other credit checks.
This approach gives brokers a central role in risk control. Depositors would need information on borrower standards, concentration limits, legal terms and the broker’s lending process before allocating assets to a pool.
XLS-66 would let brokers post first-loss capital to absorb part of a default. The value of that protection would depend on the size of the reserve compared with outstanding loans.
The proposal remains a draft and depends on XLS-65 and XLS-64. Adoption would require approved standards, active brokers, borrowers, and clear pool terms. Evernorth has explored XRP-related DeFi opportunities, but no primary material reviewed identifies an Evernorth-run lending pool.
Ripple chystá vstup do tokenizovaného privátního úvěrování na XRP Ledger s RLUSD pro institucionální půjčky. Projekt s Clearpool Finance a Cicada Partners čeká na schválení validátory.
Ripple plans to enter the tokenized private credit market through a new institutional lending system on the XRP Ledger. RippleX is developing the lending feature with Clearpool Finance and Cicada Partners for real-world business borrowers. Loans will use Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin, while lending transactions will run directly on XRPL. The system will use the XLS-65 Single Asset Vaults and XLS-66 Lending Protocol amendments. XRP will remain necessary for transaction fees and wallet reserves, increasing its utility within the lending network. Ripple is preparing to expand XRP Ledger into institutional private credit through a new lending system built with Clearpool Finance and Cicada Partners. The plan aims to connect XRPL with a tokenized private credit market valued at above $10 billion while giving real-world businesses access to working capital across regulated institutional lending markets.
Unlike much of DeFi lending, where funds often circulate inside crypto markets, the proposed system will focus on fintech and payment companies. Borrowers will receive loans in RLUSD, Ripple’s regulated stablecoin, while XRPL will process lending activity on-chain.
Ripple Backs Native Lending Infrastructure RippleX developers plan to build the lending system directly into XRP Ledger through the XLS-65 Single Asset Vaults and XLS-66 Lending Protocol amendments. The design removes reliance on third-party smart contracts and places core lending functions inside XRPL’s base protocol.
Loan pools, issuance, repayments, and related activity will all run on XRPL. Each transaction will require XRP for network fees and wallet reserves, giving the token a direct role in the lending process as activity grows.
RLUSD Loans Target Real-World Borrowers The lending system will use RLUSD for loans to businesses seeking working capital. The stablecoin operates under New York Department of Financial Services oversight, while Bank of New York provides custody support.
Ripple will also invest in the lending fund under the same terms as other institutions. The company will not guarantee returns, and all investors will share the same rights and risks on a pari passu basis.
Validator Vote Will Decide Mainnet Launch Developers have added compliance tools designed for institutional use. These include digital participant identities and a Clawback feature that can return funds when required under set rules.
Clearpool is now testing end-to-end lending scenarios on XRPL Devnet. A Mainnet launch will depend on independent validators approving and activating the XLS-65 and XLS-66 amendments through the network’s amendment voting process.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse joined President Donald Trump, SEC Chair Paul Atkins, CFTC Chair Michael Selig, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and other crypto industry leaders at the White House, where the focus was on clearer crypto rules, U.S. innovation and the next steps for the CLARITY Act. The meeting came as XRP was recovering from the $1 area, with the fresh regulatory movement helping improve sentiment around the token.
Brad Garlinghouse: “Crypto Isn’t a Fringe Industry”Garlinghouse mentioned the growing size of the U.S. crypto market, saying 67 million Americans now hold crypto, or nearly one in four people. He said crypto has moved well beyond being a niche industry and that Washington can no longer ignore its growing user base.
He also praised Trump’s focus on digital-asset innovation, saying the administration’s commitment could create a brighter future for the industry.
For XRP, the broader thing is that Ripple has been pushing for clearer U.S. rules for years. Greater regulatory certainty could make it easier for crypto companies and financial institutions to build and operate in the country.
Trump Puts the CLARITY Act in FocusTrump called on Congress to pass a fair version of the legislation, arguing that it could open the door to the next wave of innovation.
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong called the September 15 CLARITY Act vote the most important next step. He said the administration, SEC and CFTC are aligned and that the crypto industry is ready to move the legislation forward.
The bill is still not law, so its progress through the Senate remains an important factor for the market.
SEC Chair Paul Atkins said the regulator is working toward making the U.S. a stronger home for crypto innovation. He pointed to the SEC’s proposed crypto-assets rules, which he said could provide companies with more certainty when raising capital through digital assets.
Atkins also backed the goal of sending the CLARITY Act to Trump for approval, connecting crypto regulation with the broader effort to boost U.S. financial markets and bring more investors into the system.

Od konce května a začátku června bylo z hlavních burz staženo asi 240 milionů XRP. Největší pokles rezerv zaznamenal Binance, zatímco Upbit a Bithumb drží většinu sledované nabídky.
Binance has seen the sharpest percentage drop in XRP reserves, while Upbit and Bithumb continue to hold the bulk of tracked supply.
XRP’s struggle near $1 continues even as its peers display modest gains this week. The crypto asset went down almost 10% over the past month before it rebounded significantly on Wednesday evening.
Despite the weakness, much more XRP is being withdrawn than deposited across major platforms.
Reserves Slide According to the latest analysis shared by CryptoQuant, XRP reserves across Upbit, Binance, and Bithumb have fallen by roughly 240 million from their late-May and early-June levels, as of August 19. South Korean giant Upbit held 6.40 billion XRP, down from 6.51 billion on May 30, which is a decline of about 110 million, or 1.7%.
The figures for Bithumb fell to 1.82 billion from 1.85 billion on June 2, a decrease of roughly 30 million, or 1.6%. Meanwhile, Binance recorded the largest percentage decline, with its reserves for the token dropping to 2.62 billion from 2.72 billion over the same period, which translates to a reduction of approximately 100 million XRP, or 3.7%.
Combined reserves across the three exchanges decreased from about 11.08 billion to 10.84 billion, representing a decline of roughly 2.2%. Despite the overall reduction, Upbit remains the largest holder of the crypto asset among the three exchanges. In fact, Upbit and Bithumb together hold about 8.22 billion XRP and account for nearly 76% of the reserves tracked across the three platforms.
The falling exchange reserves come as wallet activity across major exchanges turns more focused on withdrawals. As recently reported by CryptoPotato, Coinbase recorded a seven-day net wallet count of -14,300 as of August 18. The exchange accounted for 47.3% of the total absolute imbalance, its highest share since July 2024.
Binance posted a net wallet count of -3,270, while Crypto.com recorded -2,680. Both exchanges moved into negative territory on July 18, almost a week after Coinbase. Binance’s share of the overall imbalance also rose from nearly zero on July 16 to around 10%. Upbit, however, saw its share fall to about 12% from 40% in June.

The spike came shortly after wallets holding between 10 million and 100 million XRP accumulated about 72 million tokens in one day.

Volkswagen’s commercial vehicle arm, TRATON Group, has migrated its global treasury operations to Ripple Treasury’s platform, in a move that replaces decades-old manual processes with advanced digital infrastructure.
TRATON Group, part of the Volkswagen Group and the manufacturer behind international brands such as Scania, MAN, and Volkswagen Truck & Bus, has chosen Ripple Treasury to standardize forecasting across its worldwide operations.
Ripple Treasury confirmed TRATON as a new enterprise customer, sharing the news through its LinkedIn page. TRATON is recognized as one of the largest commercial vehicle manufacturers globally, servicing dozens of markets through its extensive portfolio of brands.
Commentators, such as crypto analyst BankXRP, drew attention to the scope of the deal, noting it as an example of Ripple embedding itself deeper within the financial infrastructure of multinational enterprises.
Ripple is replacing roughly 20 separate Excel forecasting templates within TRATON Group’s operations, moving the company toward a unified treasury solution.

Mini dictionary: TRATON Group is a leading global manufacturer of commercial vehicles and a core subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, operating major brands like Scania, MAN, and Volkswagen Truck & Bus.
From fragmented spreadsheets to centralized dataTRATON’s treasury operations formerly depended on about 20 distinct Excel templates for planning and forecasting, each maintained separately by individual teams across its brands. This manual, fragmented approach often led to inconsistent data quality, heavy reconciliation workloads, and a reliance on localized expertise.
By transitioning to Ripple Treasury, TRATON’s teams now access a single, standardized forecasting environment. Automated data collection replaces manual entries while a centralized audit trail ensures accuracy and accountability. Ripple’s expanding enterprise reachThis new agreement makes TRATON one of the first major industrial customers to deploy Ripple Treasury since Ripple acquired and rebranded GTreasury. The agreement highlights Ripple’s ongoing push into the enterprise sector, providing digital infrastructure for globally recognized manufacturers.
TRATON’s adoption of Ripple Treasury is a concrete example of a Fortune-level manufacturer replacing legacy systems with a blockchain-driven platform, signaling broader enterprise acceptance.
The arrangement is expected to streamline global treasury functions for TRATON, enhancing accuracy and efficiency while opening the door for Ripple to expand its presence in the automotive industry and among top-tier enterprises.

The American mutual fund Kinetics Internet Portfolio, which has $275 million in assets and is part of Kinetics Portfolios Trust, has acquired a direct equity stake in Ripple Labs Inc.
The investment was disclosed in the fund's quarterly Form NPORT-P report filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). According to the document, the fund owns Class A common shares (Class A Common Shares) issued by Ripple.

The position is estimated at approximately $150,000, making it small in size relative to a $275 million fund. The filing reflects the portfolio's holdings as of June 30, 2026, but due to regulatory reporting delays, the information became public only in August.
IPO and Washington factors: What is making funds rush to buy Ripple sharesThe fund's purchase coincided with a noticeable softening in Ripple management's rhetoric regarding a potential public listing. Speaking at the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium 2026, CEO Brad Garlinghouse said the company now takes a "more neutral" view of the idea of an IPO.
Previously, Ripple's senior management, including President Monica Long, had categorically denied having such plans, citing the company's strong balance sheet and the absence of a clear timeline.
Because Ripple Labs remains a private company, the fund acquired the securities through specialized over-the-counter pre-IPO platforms for accredited investors. The transaction comes amid Ripple's own large-scale $750 million tender offer to repurchase its shares, which valued the company at $50 billion.

XRP saw strong activity in Q2 2026, with institutional interest, stablecoin adoption, and RWA tokenization driving growth across the XRP Ledger (XRPL) ecosystem.
According to Blockworks’ State of XRP: Q2 2026 report, XRP ETPs attracted $253.6 million in net inflows during Q2, a 45.1% increase from the $174.8 million recorded in Q1.
May and June were particularly strong, generating $141.9 million and $111.5 million in net inflows, respectively. Cumulative net inflows since the launch of the first U.S. spot XRP ETF in November 2025 surpassed $1.90 billion.
However, quarter-end ETP assets under management fell 17.1% to $1.99 billion, reflecting XRP’s 19.9% price decline during the quarter.
Bitwise led tracked issuers with $421.5 million in quarter-end AUM, followed by 21Shares with $366.2 million, Canary Capital with $240.7 million and Franklin Templeton with $234.6 million. Together, the four issuers represented 63.6% of tracked XRP ETP AUM.
XRP ETP Issuer chart for Q2 XRPL Stablecoin Activity Accelerates Meanwhile, XRPL-native stablecoin supply surged 195.4% quarter over quarter to $825.5 million, compared with $279.5 million at the end of Q1. The figure was more than 1,100% higher than the $66.1 million recorded a year earlier.
Ripple’s RLUSD accounted for $676.9 million, or 82% of the total.
XRP Ledger (XRPL) Stablecoin chart with RLUSD dominating RLUSD also drove most of the growth in stablecoin transfer activity. Stablecoin transfer volume on XRPL rose 207.5% to $10 billion, with RLUSD accounting for about $9 billion (90%). That was nearly 3.5 times its Q1 transfer volume of $2.6 billion.
RLUSD also expanded its reach during the quarter. OKX added RLUSD across more than 280 spot trading pairs, including XRP/RLUSD. Japan also approved RLUSD as an electronic payment instrument under its Payment Services Act.
XRPL’s Tokenized RWA Market Passes $4 Billion Real-world assets (RWAs) were another major growth area for the XRP Ledger in Q2 2026. The total value of tokenized RWAs on XRPL reached $4.46 billion, up 102.5% from Q1. This made XRPL the fourth-largest network for tokenized RWAs tracked by RWA.xyz.
About half of the total came from Justoken’s $2.23 billion JMWH, an energy-backed asset that was fully held by its issuer.
XRPL also attracted more institutional players. Kyobo Life Insurance continued a pilot for settling tokenized government bonds in South Korea. Later, Aviva Investors launched a tokenized share class of its USD Liquidity Fund on XRPL, with BNY Mellon serving as custodian.
By late July, XRPL had 42 tokenized assets, including corporate bonds, commodities, U.S. Treasuries, stablecoins, investment funds, and government bonds.
XRPL Fees Remain Extremely Low Despite higher network activity, XRPL kept transaction costs very low. The average transaction fee fell to $0.00024 in Q2, down from $0.00034 in Q1. This was the fifth straight quarterly decline.
The network burned about 40,600 XRP in transaction fees during Q2, compared with 50,800 XRP in Q1.
Payments and transfers generated about $31,800, making up 59.7% of network revenue. Account deletions generated $11,800, while orderbook activity generated $5,400.
Overall, Q2 showed institutional demand, stablecoins adoption, and growth in tokenized real-world assets.

Ripple očekává rekordní rok a tržby mají meziročně více než zdvojnásobit díky rostoucí institucionální poptávce. Firma zároveň dokončila akvizice za 2,5 miliardy USD a má 75 finančních licencí.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has reinforced the company’s commitment to connecting traditional finance with blockchain at the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium, presenting Ripple as a leading bridge between established financial systems and decentralized finance.
Regulatory approach and global licensesGarlinghouse pointed to Ripple’s 75 financial licenses across various jurisdictions as evidence that regulated services and crypto can successfully coexist. He dismissed the notion that the digital asset industry has an anti-regulation stance, stressing that compliance is possible and necessary for mainstream adoption.
He highlighted a U.S. court ruling clarifying that XRP is not categorized as a security, a decision that supports Ripple’s drive for clearer regulatory distinctions in the digital asset sector. Garlinghouse stated that such legal clarity strengthens the company’s strategy and provides greater confidence for institutional partners.
Garlinghouse emphasized that regulated financial services and crypto are not mutually exclusive and that Ripple’s global licensing demonstrates the possibility of compliance-focused innovation within blockchain technology.
Acquisitions and institutional expansionRipple’s acquisition strategy has gained momentum, with the firm completing $2.5 billion in acquisitions last year, and an additional $3 billion in shareholder tender offers over the past two years. Garlinghouse views these moves as a foundation for larger deals and further market consolidation during ongoing downturns.
Two standout acquisitions have expanded Ripple’s influence. Hidden Road, a prime brokerage service provider, processed $3 trillion in transactions over the past year, while GTreasury, a treasury and risk management software firm, handled approximately $13 trillion. Together, these two companies expose Ripple to about $16 trillion in annual financial activity.
Mini dictionary: GTreasury is a software platform that provides treasury management and risk solutions to corporate finance teams, while Hidden Road is a financial services provider specializing in prime brokerage for institutional clients.
AcquisitionAnnual Transactions ProcessedHidden Road$3 trillionGTreasury$13 trillionTotal Exposure$16 trillionAccording to Garlinghouse, this expansion has brought a marked shift over the past six months, with more corporate chief financial officers and treasurers seeking Ripple’s blockchain technology for their operations.
Future of institutional crypto adoptionHe expects Ripple’s revenue to more than double year over year, projecting a record-setting performance for the company. Garlinghouse attributes this growth to increasing institutional interest in applications such as payments, liquidity solutions, settlements, custody, and treasury management, rather than pure trading.
He noted that this rising interest marks a significant shift in how large organizations are exploring practical uses of crypto, increasingly prioritizing operational improvements over speculative activity.
Institutions are moving beyond trading, focusing on blockchain for payments, liquidity management, and settlement needs, strengthening the argument for integrating blockchain within the existing financial system rather than replacing banks outright.
Garlinghouse remains measured regarding agent-driven payments—transactions executed autonomously by artificial intelligence agents. He acknowledged the potential for AI-enabled services but emphasized that robust controls around authorization, fraud prevention, accountability, and spending limits must be in place before widespread adoption.
Ripple’s approach aligns with the idea of working alongside banks and traditional institutions, leveraging blockchain to enhance, not supplant, conventional financial infrastructures.
Garlinghouse projected that as the finance industry continues evolving, the convergence of traditional and decentralized finance will accelerate, positioning Ripple as a core facilitator in this transformation.

Na XRP Ledgeru vzrostl 30denní objem převodů stablecoinů o 10 % na 4,32 miliardy USD a počet držitelů o 36,7 % na 82,110. XRP přitom letos klesl o 45,47 %.
The XRP ecosystem has recorded over $4 billion in stablecoin transfer volume amid a recent surge despite current price struggles.
XRP has continued to face market pressures, with the token down 45.47% this year. However, the weakness in price performance has not stopped activity across the XRP ecosystem from growing.
XRP Ecosystem Sees Rise in Stablecoin Volume and Holders Data on real-world asset (RWA) tokenization shows that stablecoin activity on the XRP Ledger has picked up, with transfer volume and the number of stablecoin holders both recording strong gains.
According to RWA.xyz, a leading provider of real-world asset data, 30-day stablecoin transfer volume on the XRP Ledger has increased 10% to $4.32 billion.
XRP Ledger Stablecoin Market Activity The rise indicates stronger stablecoin activity on the network and suggests that users continue to make greater use of the XRPL ecosystem despite XRP’s poor price performance.
In addition, over the past 30 days, the number of stablecoin holders on the XRP Ledger has jumped 36.7% to 82,110. The XRP Ledger Foundation recently highlighted the figure in a post on X, citing data from the RWA Foundation.
XRP Ledger Stablecoin Market Cap Drops Despite the rise in transfer activity and holders, the total value of stablecoins on the XRP Ledger has declined slightly over the past month. The XRP Ledger stablecoin market cap fell 3.07% over the last 30 days to $954.79 million.
Still, the monthly decline looks less significant when compared with the network’s growth since January. The XRP Ledger began the year with a stablecoin market cap of $291.4 million. At $954.79 million, the current market cap represents a 227% increase this year.
Ripple’s RLUSD remains the dominant stablecoin on the XRP Ledger. It currently has an $898.8 million market cap, which gives it a 94% share of the network’s total stablecoin market cap.
RLUSD also represents 62.41% of the total distributed RWA market on the XRP Ledger. Its large share means that much of the network’s stablecoin growth currently centers on Ripple’s dollar-pegged asset. As a result, changes in RLUSD’s supply and activity can have a noticeable effect on the wider XRPL stablecoin market.
Broader RWA Market Sees Mixed Activity Meanwhile, the wider RWA market on the XRP Ledger has produced a less consistent picture over the past 30 days. While the number of holders has continued to rise, the value of some RWA assets and their transfer activity has declined.
Specifically, distributed asset value, excluding stablecoins, dropped 1.90% over the last 30 days to $485.25 million. Also, represented asset value fell 0.30% to $4.05 billion.
The biggest drop came from RWA transfer activity. Notably, RWA transfer volume plunged 96.25% over the past 30 days to $10.14 million.
Despite the drop in RWA transfer volume, the number of RWA holders has continued to grow in recent times. For context, RWA holders on the XRP Ledger increased 27% over the past 30 days to 221.
This suggests that more participants now hold RWA assets on the XRP Ledger, but they have not generated the same level of transfer activity seen previously. Essentially, market participation is growing, but trading or movement of these assets has slowed.

XRP Ledger ve 2. čtvrtletí 2026 zpracoval 222,4 milionu transakcí, což je druhý nejvyšší kvartální výsledek v historii. Aktivita sice klesla oproti předchozímu čtvrtletí o 6,5 %, ale zůstala blízko rekordu.
The XRP Ledger recorded over 222 million transactions in Q2 2026, marking the second-highest quarterly transaction total in its history.
This impressive record came as XRP remained under pressure from the downtrend that began in Q4 2025. Although activity slipped from the previous quarter, it stayed close to the record level set in Q1.
XRP Total Transactions Spike in Q2 2026 According to Blockwork’s latest “State of XRP” quarterly report, Q2’s transaction count stood at 222.4 million, representing only a 6.5% drop from Q1’s record 238.0 million. Further data confirmed that the network processed an average of 2.44 million transactions each day.
However, failed transactions rose to 54.6 million, accounting for 24.5% of total transactions, compared with 19.0% in Q1. Meanwhile, average daily active addresses fell to about 16,800, down 10.7% QoQ and 24.5% YoY.
XRP Ledger Network Overview | Source: Blockworks The decline in user activity was more noticeable among new addresses. XRPL recorded an average of about 2,380 new addresses per day, down 22% QoQ. Returning addresses averaged about 14,380 per day, a smaller 8.4% QoQ decline. This suggests that existing users remained more active than new users during the quarter.
The network also maintained a notable pattern in address activity. Notably, active receiver addresses exceeded active sender addresses for seven straight quarters through Q1.
Native DEX Trading Drops as Issued Assets Grow Trading on XRPL’s native decentralized exchange weakened during the quarter. Specifically, DEX volume dropped 35.9% QoQ to $482.9 million. Of that total, the central limit order book (CLOB) handled $419.1 million, while automated market maker (AMM) pools recorded $63.8 million.
CLOB trading continued to take a larger share of the market, reaching 86.8% for the quarter. This marked the fourth straight quarter in which its share increased. By comparison, the AMM share fell from 29.5% one year earlier to 13.2%.
However, the market value of issued currencies on XRPL increased during Q2. This metric rose 21.0% QoQ and 67.9% YoY, reaching $980.4 million at the end of the quarter. The figure covered approximately 1,100 tokens on the network.
RLUSD made up 69.0% of the issued-currency value at quarter-end, a sharp increase from 23.4% at the end of Q1. The growth in RLUSD supply helped make up for declines among smaller non-stablecoin assets. As a result, RLUSD took a much larger share of the issued-asset market during Q2.
NFT Market Recovers Amid Stablecoin Market Growth Also, NFT activity on XRPL improved from its weak Q1 performance. Trading volume reached $3.69 million in Q2, more than twice the $1.56 million recorded in Q1. Average daily traders rose 7.4% to 529, while daily sales increased 9.4% to about 1,750.
However, the NFT market remained below its level from a year earlier. Q2 volume was 36% lower than the prior-year quarter and stood at roughly 1/130 of DEX volume. NFT mints rose to about 153,000 from 129,000 in Q1, but remained way below the 3.5 million recorded a year earlier.
Impressively, stablecoins recorded one of the biggest gains on XRPL during Q2. Native stablecoin supply climbed 195.4% QoQ to $825.5 million at the end of the quarter, up from $279.5 million in Q1. The figure also marked an increase of more than 1,100% from the $66.1 million recorded a year earlier.
XRP Ledger Stablecoin Supply | Source: Blockworks RLUSD accounted for $676.9 million, or 82.0% of total stablecoin supply at the end of Q2. USDB followed with $119.8 million, representing 14.5% of the total. Meanwhile, Braza’s BBRL and Société Générale’s EURCV had shares of $12.5 million and $11.4 million.
XRP Price Remains Under Pressure The growth in network activity came as XRP continued to struggle in the market. Notably, XRP began Q2 with a price of around $1.31, surged to a peak of $1.48 by May 14, but then corrected to close the quarter at around $1.04.
The Q2 closing price marked a 19.9% decline from Q1 and stood 53.5% below the $2.23 close recorded a year earlier. XRP’s market cap ended the quarter at $65.80 billion, down 18.9% QoQ and 49.5% YoY.
Market capitalization fell less than XRP’s price because growth in circulating supply from escrow releases partly offset the impact of the lower token price.

XRP news: Whales buy 642 million tokens as Ripple Prime debuts bond offeringLarge XRP holders have collectively acquired more than 642 million tokens near the psychological $1 level since the beginning of August. During the first week of the month alone, wallets holding between 1 million and 10 million XRP accumulated 380 million coins, increasing their combined holdings to 8.13 billion tokens.
Buying continued in the middle of the month. Investors added another 72 million XRP to their positions on Aug. 13–14 and absorbed an additional 190 million tokens on Aug. 16–17. Alongside this on-chain activity, Ripple Prime, the company's brokerage subsidiary, completed its debut private placement of $275 million in unsecured bonds due in 2031. In the on-chain sector, Ripple's native dollar-backed stablecoin, RLUSD, demonstrated unusual dynamics. A recent $35.7 million token burn pushed the monthly burn rate on the XRPL to 99%. Over the past 30 days, $449.3 million worth of RLUSD was issued on the network, but immediate institutional redemptions resulted in $448.9 million worth of tokens being burned.
Unlike the XRPL's transit corridor, Ethereum is retaining liquidity. Of the $403 million issued on Ethereum, only $177.3 million was burned, leaving the total RLUSD supply of $1.757 billion divided almost equally between the two blockchains.
The intense token accumulation by whales, combined with Ripple's simultaneous effort to raise hundreds of millions of dollars in debt, signals that major players are not currently planning speculative sales near the $1 level.
Crypto market news: SEC reform and Bitcoin liquidation risksYesterday, the New York Federal Reserve purchased short-term Treasury bills up to its full $4.243 billion allotment. The move fits into a monthly reinvestment schedule of approximately $17 billion aimed at supporting bank reserves and reducing liquidity shortages.
The monetary injection coincided with a sudden reversal in sentiment across the U.S. spot crypto fund sector. In a single trading session on Aug. 18, the funds fully offset the prolonged outflows recorded last week, when investors withdrew a record $389.7 million.
At the same time, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission published two new fundraising tracks. The new rules introduce the following exemptions:
Fundraising limit: Eligible token issuers would be exempt from strict registration requirements when raising up to $75 million per year.Safe harbor: Assets would automatically lose their status as securities once developers complete the required technological milestones.Insider freedom: The mandatory token lockup period would be completely removed once all other restrictions are lifted. While the spot market is consolidating, hidden risks are building in the futures market because of a critical imbalance in favor of long positions. According to the CoinGlass liquidation heat map, a sudden market decline would trigger cascading liquidations:

@Ripple's $RLUSD stablecoin now commands 62% of all tokenized assets on the XRP Ledger, cementing its position as the dominant on-chain instrument on the network. Data published on August 18 shows the stablecoin's total value on XRPL stands at $898.8M, up 1.82% over the past 30 days.
Who Else Ranks in the Top TierOndo Finance holds the second spot with $212.9M in tokenized assets, representing a 14.78% share of the ledger's total. VERT Capital and Archax also feature among the major positions on XRPL, alongside RLUSD, Ondo, and Societe Generale. VERT Capital accounts for $116.1M and Archax $55.4M, according to the data.
The 30-day picture is not uniformly positive. Braza Crypto recorded the steepest decline among the top ten, falling 49.5% over the same period, highlighting the divergence in performance across issuers competing for space on the ledger.
A Growing Institutional BattlegroundThe concentration of value in $RLUSD reflects the broader momentum building around XRPL as an institutional tokenization venue. Tokenized real-world assets on XRPL have reached roughly $2.5 billion, part of a global onchain RWA market that Token Terminal data puts at $44.7 billion.
Ondo Finance's presence on the ledger has deepened significantly this year. Ondo Finance, working with JPMorgan's Kinexys, Mastercard and Ripple, completed a near-real-time cross-border redemption of its tokenized U.S. Treasury fund OUSG on the XRP Ledger, with the transaction settling in under five seconds.
Archax, a UK-regulated digital securities exchange, had committed to bringing $1 billion in tokenized assets onto the ledger by mid-2026.
A proposed new XRPL amendment would let institutions encrypt token balances and transfer amounts while still giving issuers, auditors, and regulators selective access, targeting the growing market for tokenized real-world assets on the network. That kind of privacy infrastructure could further attract regulated financial institutions to the ledger.
Ripple has framed XRPL as a compliance-first platform built for institutional deployment. With over 12 years of uptime and more than $1 trillion processed, XRPL is evolving into a full-service financial platform for regulated DeFi, helping institutions send and receive payments, issue credit, trade digital assets, and move real-world value onchain.

Ripple Prime President Noel Kimmel noted in the release that the strong support for the inaugural offering reflects confidence in Ripple’s long-term vision for the intersection of traditional and digital asset financial infrastructure.
Why Korea Keeps Coming Up for RippleRipple also confirmed Tuesday that Jeonbuk Bank has deployed Ripple Payments for cross-border settlement, becoming the first Korean regional bank to do so.
As Benzinga reported earlier, this marks Ripple’s third Korean institutional partnership in 2026, following Kyobo Life Insurance on on-chain bond settlement and Kbank on wallet infrastructure and custody.
What the On-Chain Data ShowsCryptoQuant flagged on X that XRP open interest on Binance hit a two-month high, with analyst ArabxChain noting the rise in derivatives participation makes the next price move more significant in either direction.
Meanwhile, analyst ChartNerd noted on X that XRP’s monthly RSI sits at its most oversold level in 13 years.
The three-month RSI has not yet tagged its historical bottom baseline of 48, suggesting the full reset is close but not complete.
Where XRP Stands TechnicallyXRP holds back above $1 Tuesday, after repeated tests this week. More importantly, price now presses directly into the descending trendline from the May high at $1.55, the same line that has capped every rally since.
A daily close above $1.03 would mark the first genuine break of this downtrend.

MoonPay turned on Cash App Pay as a payment method on Tuesday, letting eligible U.S. customers spend their Cash App balance at MoonPay checkout.
The effect is that Cash App money can now buy tokens Block has never listed. MoonPay’s onramp reaches ether, solana, XRP and more, and purchases can be pushed into third-party and self-custody wallets including Ledger, BitPay, Trust Wallet, MetaMask and Uniswap.
Block Rents What It Will Not List Cash App sold bitcoin and nothing else for years, then began a phased USDC rollout in late May. The partnership with MoonPay allows users to use their Cash App balances to access other cryptocurrencies without holding it on Cash App.
“While bitcoin remains at the core of our digital asset strategy, we want to give customers choice and flexibility wherever and however they choose to pay,” Morgan Kuntze, Block’s global partnerships lead, said in MoonPay’s announcement.
MoonPay has spent the year widening its U.S. payment options, adding the Discover network as its third major card network and launching an enterprise stablecoin platform aimed at banks and merchants. Cash App Pay is the consumer version of the same push, and it hands MoonPay a funded wallet with tens of millions of U.S. users attached.

Ripple má 1. září odemknout 1 miliardu XRP, z níž má 600 až 800 milionů znovu uzamknout. XRP se mezitím obchoduje kolem 0,99 USD pod klíčovou podporou 1 USD.
XRP is approaching a deadline that could put its market under pressure. A new unlocking wave scheduled by Ripple is set to release a massive amount of tokens, while the price is already trading around a sensitive technical level. Behind the spectacular figure of this operation lies a more nuanced reality. Not all unlocked XRP necessarily join the market. Between genuinely available supply, risk of selling pressure, and price fragility, the coming weeks could become decisive for XRP.
In Brief Ripple plans to unlock 1 billion XRP on September 1st. 600 to 800 million XRP are expected to be re-locked, limiting the supply actually injected. 200 to 400 million XRP could enter the market to fund Ripple’s activities and ecosystem. XRP trades around the sensitive $1 threshold, in a fragile technical setup. The Background of a Massive Asset Unlocking by Ripple As September 1st approaches, the American company Ripple prepares to execute a contractual routine established since the end of 2017: the monthly unlocking of one billion XRP tokens freed from its escrow accounts. The company had strategically chosen at the time to isolate 55 billion XRP in fixed-term contracts to bring predictability to the management of its reserves.
At the current price hovering around one dollar per token, this operation represents the theoretical equivalent of one billion dollars injected into the market. However, interpreting these figures does not reflect the operational reality observed on the blockchain. Transaction history shows that the firm systematically re-locks between 600 million and 800 million XRP in new time-lock contracts. Consequently, the actual increase in circulating supply each month is only within the range of 200 million to 400 million XRP.
These resources genuinely integrated into the market are also not intended to be wildly sold on exchange order books. Ripple reinjects those 200 to 400 million dollars of assets to support its overall operational infrastructure, feed its On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) service, seal institutional partnerships, and fund ecosystem development initiatives. Relative to the global crypto market, this net monthly contribution remains relatively modest.
In comparison, XRP’s daily transaction volume very frequently exceeds the one billion dollar mark on major international exchanges. The highly predictable and planned nature of these issuances historically limits their direct impact on prices. While brief periods of volatility sometimes occur at the unlocking, the market generally tends to stabilize once the amounts re-locked under escrow are confirmed, as institutional investors have factored in this parameter for several years.
To better understand the real functioning of this recurring financial operation, its key characteristics should be summarized as follows :
The nominal unlocked volume : 1 billion XRP released on September 1st from the initial escrow contracts of 55 billion dating from 2017 ; The re-escrow locking : 600 million to 800 million XRP immediately locked again in new forward contracts ; The real net injection : 200 million to 400 million XRP effectively put into circulation, equivalent to a net value of 200 to 400 million dollars ; Allocation of funds : financing On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) services, institutional partnerships, and ecosystem development ; Liquidity context : a net contribution absorbed by a daily XRP trading volume greater than 1 billion dollars on crypto exchanges. The Technical Fragility of XRP Facing Support Tests The real concern of analysts lies not so much in the schedule but in the delicate technical configuration in which Ripple’s crypto finds itself at the time of this release. The token slips below its major $1 support, trading at $0.99 with a 0.3% decline over the last 24 hours and a cumulative drop of more than 1% on the weekly scale.
This passage below the psychological dollar mark is accompanied by concerning weakness signals from a trend-following perspective. The crypto’s price now moves below its simple 50-day moving average, set at $1.07, confirming short-term dominance of bearish pressure. Moreover, the gap separating it from its 200-day simple moving average, located at $1.28, highlights the deterioration of the underlying longer-term momentum.
From a momentum indicator standpoint, the 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 37.83. Although the crypto remains formally in the neutral zone, this level dangerously flirts with the critical threshold of 30, marking the oversold boundary. This configuration indicates persistent selling pressure, though not yet extreme. If the slide continues, the asset risks sinking further into an oversold zone, while a rebound of the RSI above 50 would be necessary to hope for a return of bullish momentum.
Future Challenges for the Crypto’s Trajectory Between Ripple’s accounting management and the graphic realities of its token, the challenge for the next two weeks promises to be decisive for investor confidence. Although experience shows that the absorption of the net supply of 200 to 400 million XRP usually occurs without major shocks thanks to large trading volumes, the current fragility of technical support could increase investor nervousness.
The market thus faces a complex trade-off between the theoretical neutrality of a programmed mechanism and the psychology of actors reluctant to accumulate an asset below its main moving averages. In this context, where short- and medium-term trends remain bearish, buyers’ ability to defend the $0.99 zone and quickly push the XRP price back towards the 50 SMA at $1.07 will be decisive. Failure to regain these key levels could anchor the token in a prolonged stagnation phase, turning calendar regularity into an additional catalyst of uncertainty.

Dubajský pozemkový úřad tokenizoval 10 věží na XRPL a spustil sekundární obchodování s 7,8 milionu digitálních tokenů. Cílí na tokenizaci 7 % trhu s nemovitostmi, tedy asi 16 miliard USD, do roku 2033.
In a groundbreaking pilot backed by Dubai’s government, ten physical real estate towers have been fractionalized into 7.8 million digital tokens. These tokens are now approved for secondary-market trading through regulated platforms, with a minimum participation threshold of AED 2,000, equivalent to approximately $540. Settlement for transactions occurs within 3 to 5 seconds via the XRP Ledger (XRPL), with Ripple Custody safeguarding the digital assets throughout the process.
Dubai Land Department moves to tokenizationThe Dubai Land Department, the official government entity responsible for real estate registration and regulation in the emirate, selected XRPL as the foundation for this initiative. During the first phase, the team successfully minted title-deed tokens equivalent to more than $5 million in property value.
Phase two has launched controlled secondary trading, allowing investors to purchase and resell fractional shares of these properties. All asset transfers are synchronized in real time with the official land registry, ensuring consistency between the digital and traditional records.
Dubai’s long-term strategy aims to tokenize 7% of the city’s real estate market—estimated at roughly $16 billion, or AED 60 billion—by 2033. Scaling up from the current pilot of ten properties will require onboarding a larger number of title deeds, further development of regulated distribution channels, and increased participation from both retail and institutional investors.
Lower investment thresholds and a liquid secondary market are positioned to attract a wider pool of capital, including international participants. As more properties are tokenized under the supervision of Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) and trading volumes increase, the cumulative value of tokenized property is projected to build steadily toward the 7% market share target.

Ctrl Alt, a digital infrastructure provider, handles the technical aspects of minting and managing the property titles on-chain.
Ripple Custody ensures the tokens are protected with institutional security measures. Unlike traditional crypto products that lack underlying physical assets, these tokens correspond to actual legal title deeds endorsed and issued by a government body. Structured as Asset-Referenced Virtual Assets, they comply fully with local legal requirements, but are native to the blockchain environment.
Settlement times for secondary trades are reduced from several weeks to just seconds by recording changes both in the traditional registry and on-chain. The dual-ledger approach provides robust legal certainty while boosting operational efficiency.
The involvement of Dubai’s sovereign land registry with XRPL highlights growing confidence among authorities in using public blockchains for critical, regulated asset classes. The current pilot demonstrates full end-to-end functionality from government title issuance to near-instant trading and secure custody.
Officials expect the property token set to expand over time, aligning with Dubai’s vision to become a global digital asset leader and supporting ambitions to grow tokenized real estate to the targeted $16 billion scale by 2033.

Strive Financial Group v aktualizovaném podání 13F přiznala expozici vůči XRP ETF, včetně Teucrium 2x Long Daily XRP ETF a ETF od Canary. XRP se mezitím obchoduje za 0,99 USD.
XRP continues to face bearish pressure, with recent analyst commentary highlighting a potential accumulation zone as the cryptocurrency looks for direction. Institutional activity, particularly from Strive Financial Group, is bringing additional attention to XRP-linked exchange-traded funds, which could have lasting effects on the asset’s adoption narrative.
XRP price outlook and analyst predictionsAt press time, XRP is trading at $0.99. The 24-hour trading volume has reached $855 million, while the market capitalization stands at $62.68 billion. Despite signs of price stability in the last day, both XRP’s technical structure and the expansion of related ETFs could support a stronger move in the future.
Crypto analyst Crypto Patel has highlighted that the recent decline in XRP price serves as a warning echoed during the 2025 rally, when he cautioned investors as bullish momentum weakened above $3.
Following this warning, XRP experienced a steep correction, losing approximately 73% from its cycle peak and falling below $1 for the first time in nearly two years. The move below this psychological threshold has raised concerns about the underlying market structure.
Crypto Patel has identified the $0.85 to $0.65 range as a strategic accumulation point. He stated that a reversal is unlikely before another 20% to 40% decline in price, suggesting patience for long-term accumulation targets. Crypto Patel favors gradual accumulation near higher time frame demand zones instead of attempting to call the exact market bottom. His price targets remain $3, $5, $7, and $10 in future major rallies.
XRP’s drop of nearly 73% from its cycle top has brought the price below $1 for the first time in almost two years, creating substantial challenges for its market structure. The $0.85–$0.65 region could offer a meaningful accumulation opportunity, although a significant rebound may require a further pullback.
Institutional exposure to XRP ETFsData provided by BankXRP reveals that Strive Financial Group has publicly disclosed its exposure to XRP-based ETFs in an updated 13F regulatory filing. The filing lists investments in the Teucrium 2x Long Daily XRP ETF as well as the XRP ETF offered by Canary.
Strive Financial Group is a US-based asset management firm known for its engagement with alternative investment vehicles and emerging financial products.
This increased activity from Strive highlights the broader trend of institutions gaining exposure to regulated XRP products. While the 13F filing confirms holdings during the reporting period, it does not guarantee current positions or indicate a bullish stance. However, such disclosures do reflect growing interest in regulated digital asset instruments.
Industry commentators note that the presence of institutional players like Strive may help support long-term adoption, even if immediate market impact remains uncertain.
Mini dictionary: 13F filing, a quarterly report required by the US Securities and Exchange Commission for certain institutional investment managers, disclosing their equity holdings.
As investors monitor these developments, the next significant price move for XRP will likely hinge on buyers’ ability to maintain key support levels. If selling pressure dominates, XRP could see further losses. On the other hand, a reversal and subsequent breakout may set the stage for a move toward previously mentioned price targets.

While the broader cryptocurrency market has shown signs of improvement, analysts expect that only a firm shift in trend or a successful defense of critical support levels can prompt a sustainable rally in XRP.
Should buyer interest intensify at current levels, the cryptocurrency could consolidate and attempt higher moves. Otherwise, a lack of support could result in additional downward momentum, keeping the asset in a cautious stance.
Broader institutional interest in XRP-linked ETFs may lay the groundwork for future adoption, but a decisive turnaround in price action is necessary before a sustained rally can be expected.

LendProtocol spustil na XRP Ledger fixně úročenou půjčovací platformu pro XRP a RLUSD s uváděným 12% ročním výnosem, denním připisováním úroků a bez pevné doby uzamčení. Firma tvrdí, že přes ni prošlo více než 743 milionů XRP a má přes 13 713 aktivních věřitelů.
LendProtocol has launched a fixed-rate lending platform on the XRP Ledger for XRP and RLUSD holders. The platform advertises a 12% annual percentage rate, daily interest payouts, no fixed lock-up period, and a borrower collateral requirement of 120%.
According to figures provided by LendProtocol, the platform has facilitated more than 743 million XRP in loans and serves over 13,713 active lenders. The service provides an alternative for holders interested in earning potential interest on XRP, although it is a lending product rather than native blockchain staking.
Understanding XRP’s Approach to Staking
Unlike Ethereum and Solana, the XRP Ledger does not use a Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism. It uses a Federated Byzantine Agreement consensus model, under which validators confirm transactions without distributing staking rewards to XRP holders.
As a result, native XRP staking does not exist at the protocol level. Services marketed around “XRP staking” generally involve third-party lending, exchange programs, liquidity provision, or other yield-generating arrangements. Each model carries its own custody, counterparty, liquidity, and market risks.
XRP holders seeking a potential return on their assets have typically considered centralized exchange products, lending services, or blockchain bridges. LendProtocol aims to provide another option within the XRP Ledger ecosystem through a fixed-rate, centralized lending structure.
Understanding LendProtocol’s XRP Lending Model
LendProtocol operates as a centralized finance, or CeFi, intermediary. Users can deposit XRP or RLUSD, while borrowers must provide collateral equal to 120% of the loan value. Accepted collateral includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, RLUSD, and USDT.
The platform states that borrowers pay 12.7% APR and depositors receive 12% APR. The remaining 0.7 percentage points serve as the platform’s operating spread.
LendProtocol also says it assumes the direct lending exposure if an individual borrower defaults. This structure may reduce a depositor’s exposure to individual borrower failures, but it does not eliminate all risk. Depositors remain exposed to risks associated with platform solvency, custody, collateral liquidation, cybersecurity, regulation, and operational performance.
Interest is calculated and credited daily, according to the platform. If the daily interest remains in the account and continues to earn interest, a 12% APR would produce an effective annual yield of approximately 12.75%. Actual results may depend on account terms, withdrawals, platform availability, and whether interest is continuously compounded.
RLUSD is also available as a deposit asset. This may appeal to users who want exposure to a dollar-denominated asset rather than XRP price movements. However, RLUSD deposits still involve stablecoin, platform, custody, and counterparty risks.
LendProtocol says its security measures include cold storage for most deposited assets, AES-256 GCM encryption for stored data, and mandatory two-factor authentication. Users should independently review the platform’s custody arrangements, legal terms, audits, withdrawal policies, and risk disclosures before depositing assets.
According to LendProtocol, more than 743 million XRP has been facilitated through the platform across over 13,713 active lenders. These figures and the advertised interest rate are provided by the company and should be independently verified where possible.
LendProtocol and XLS-66 Are Separate Lending Models
LendProtocol is a consumer-facing CeFi lending service that uses the XRP Ledger for parts of its asset and transaction infrastructure.
It is not an implementation of XLS-66, a proposed XRPL lending specification designed to support protocol-level lending structures with off-chain credit assessment.
The two models may use the same underlying blockchain, but they differ in structure, risk allocation, custody, and intended users. LendProtocol’s offering is described as a fixed-rate, overcollateralized lending product managed by a centralized intermediary.
Users comparing XRP income products should therefore avoid treating LendProtocol deposits as native staking. They should assess the service as a third-party lending arrangement and consider the associated platform and counterparty risks.
About LendProtocol
LendProtocol is a centralized lending platform operating with XRP Ledger-based assets. It offers XRP and RLUSD deposit products with an advertised 12% APR, daily interest crediting, and no fixed lock-up period.
Borrowers must provide collateral equal to 120% of the loan amount using one of six supported assets. LendProtocol states that it manages borrower defaults rather than passing exposure to individual depositors. This arrangement does not remove broader custody, solvency, market, operational, or regulatory risks.
More information, including applicable terms and risk disclosures, is available at lendprotocol.io.
XRP traded slightly below $1 on Tuesday, Aug. 18, as rising whale transactions and derivatives activity failed to produce a sustained price recovery.
Summary
XRP traded near $0.996 Tuesday, losing 0.4% daily and 1.2% over seven days overall recently. Price remained below $1, leaving the former support level as immediate resistance for recovering buyers. Large XRP Ledger transactions above $1 million reportedly increased 280%, but transfer direction remains unclear. Binance open interest increased while spot price weakened, raising liquidation risks without confirming market direction. The tx bridge remains halted after attackers stole 198,715.88 XRP through faulty deposit verification software. The token changed hands near $0.996, down 0.4% over 24 hours and 1.2% over seven days, according to market data. XRP’s market capitalization stood near $62.4 billion, ranking it sixth among cryptocurrencies.
XRP traded between approximately $0.989 and $1.01 during the latest 24 hour period. It remained 9.1% lower over 30 days and about 66.7% below its level one year earlier.
The token briefly recovered above $1 on Monday after opening near $0.994. However, buyers failed to maintain the rebound, returning the price below the psychological threshold on Tuesday.
XRP price remains fragile below $1 The XRP/USDT daily chart shows a broader downtrend from the July 2025 high of $3.65. The decline has produced lower highs and pushed XRP into a narrow consolidation range around $1.
The $1 level has acted as support for much of the decline. Trading below it changes the immediate structure because recovering buyers must now reclaim the same level before challenging higher resistance.
An initial recovery would need to clear $1 to $1.05. Above that area, liquidity may sit between $1.16 and $1.18, although reaching those levels would require stronger volume and momentum.
Immediate support sits around $0.988, matching Tuesday’s intraday low. A daily close below that level would expose $0.95, followed by the wider area between $0.85 and $0.90.
The price recently steadied near $1 while large transfers to Binance declined. That reduction in exchange inflows did not produce a confirmed reversal.
Whale transactions rise without confirming accumulation Crypto analyst Ali Martinez reported that XRP Ledger transactions worth more than $1 million increased 280% within 24 hours. The total reportedly rose above 38 large transactions.
Martinez described the activity as evidence that “whales are back.” However, transaction counts alone do not establish whether large holders are buying, selling or moving tokens between wallets.
Large transactions can include exchange deposits, withdrawals, internal transfers and custody reorganizations. Identifying accumulation requires destination analysis, balance changes and exchange flow data.
The price remained below $1 during the transaction increase. That lack of an immediate price response weakens any claim that the activity was entirely driven by buying.
Separate CryptoQuant data showed that whale transfers to Binance had fallen to their lowest level since 2021. The three month average reportedly declined to approximately $61 million.
Lower exchange inflows can reduce potential selling pressure, but they do not guarantee demand. Tokens may also move through exchanges or addresses not covered by the dataset.
Exchange withdrawals and leverage send mixed signals CryptoQuant contributor Amr Taha reported that Coinbase’s seven day net wallet count fell to minus 14,300 on Aug. 17. Binance and Crypto.com also recorded more withdrawing wallets than depositing wallets.
The figures measure wallet counts rather than the amount of XRP withdrawn. One large deposit can outweigh many small withdrawals, making the indicator unsuitable as a direct measure of net token flows.
Coinbase reportedly represented 47.3% of the absolute wallet imbalance across the exchanges tracked by the analyst. That share shows where the activity was concentrated but does not reveal whether the withdrawn tokens entered self custody or another trading venue.
XRP derivatives activity also increased. CryptoQuant analysis showed Binance open interest rising about 28.6% between Aug. 3 and Aug. 17.
Open interest measures outstanding derivatives positions and does not distinguish longs from shorts. Rising leverage while the spot price remains weak can increase the size of liquidations when the market eventually breaks from its range.
In related coverage, derivatives positioning rebuilt while aggressive selling remained dominant. Funding rates, cumulative volume delta and long to short ratios remain necessary for assessing directional positioning.
Technical indicators remain bearish The Awesome Oscillator stood near minus 0.0630 on the daily chart. The negative reading shows bearish momentum remains active, although it is less extreme than during previous stages of the selloff.
The bull and bear power indicator was also negative at approximately minus 0.0377. This points to limited buying pressure and supports the current bearish consolidation structure.
XRP price chart, source: crypto.news Neither indicator confirms that XRP has reached a bottom. Momentum could improve if the price reclaims $1 and the oscillator moves toward positive territory.
Claims of targets between $15 and $17 would require gains exceeding 1,400% from the current price. Such forecasts remain speculative and are not supported by the present daily momentum readings.
The same applies to forecasts calling for a decline into the $0.65 to $0.85 range. Those levels are possible technical scenarios rather than confirmed destinations.
Bridge remains halted following verification exploit The tx project said attackers stole 198,715.88 XRP from its bridge reserve on Aug. 9. The bridge connected the tx blockchain with the XRP Ledger.
According to the project’s update, its software accepted transactions that had not delivered XRP to the correct bridge address. Relayers then approved unbacked balances that attackers redeemed for genuine XRP.
The vulnerability affected the bridge’s verification logic, not the XRP Ledger itself. The bridge remains halted while the team reviews remedies and security changes.
As crypto.news reported, the stolen XRP was converted and routed through privacy infrastructure, complicating recovery efforts. The project also filed a complaint with the FBI.
Separately, a South Korean regional bank adopted Ripple’s payments service on Aug. 18. The announcement did not say XRP would be used for those transfers, so the agreement should not be treated as direct demand for the token.
XRP must reclaim $1 on a daily closing basis to reduce immediate downside pressure. A break above $1.05 would improve the short term setup, while another rejection could return attention to $0.95 and $0.90.

Ripple Payments se poprvé dostává do korejské regionální banky: Jeonbuk Bank jej nasadí pro přeshraniční firemní platby. Převody mají být vypořádány během sekund až minut a fungovat 24/7.
18 August 2026 | 11:58 Jeonbuk Bank will deploy Ripple Payments for business remittances, becoming Korea’s first regional lender to offer the company’s 24/7 cross-border settlement service.
Key Takeaways Jeonbuk will deploy Ripple Payments. Business transfers settle within minutes. The service runs around the clock. XRP and RLUSD roles remain unknown. Ripple now has three Korean deals. Ripple announced its partnership with Jeonbuk Bank on August 18. The agreement will bring Ripple Payments to the bank’s business customers, including import-export companies, IT startups and online content creators.
Jeonbuk Bank becomes the first regional bank in Korea to deploy the payment service. The target is straightforward: cross-border payments that settle in seconds to minutes and remain available 24 hours a day.
A payment service for companies moving money abroad Businesses that import goods, pay overseas suppliers or receive revenue from abroad often depend on correspondent banking. A payment can pass through several intermediary banks before it reaches its destination, adding processing time, fees and uncertainty around its arrival.
Jeonbuk Bank is the first regional bank in Korea to deploy Ripple Payments, replacing multi-day SWIFT transfers with near real-time, 24/7 cross-border settlement for its business customers. Our third Korean partnership this year, after Kyobo Life Insurance and Kbank, partnering…
— Ripple (@Ripple) August 18, 2026
Ripple says its platform gives Jeonbuk Bank a different route for those transfers. The bank will offer near real-time settlement to business customers, with payments running around the clock instead of relying only on banking hours.
The deal is aimed at companies with regular international payment needs. Importers and exporters need to pay suppliers and receive invoices across borders. Startups may pay remote workers, cloud-service providers or overseas partners. Online creators can receive income from global platforms and advertisers.
Fiona Murray, Ripple’s managing director for Asia Pacific, said:
“Regional banks play a vital role in the real economy.”
What changes for Jeonbuk Bank customers Ripple Payments is designed to handle the operational work around cross-border transfers through one service. The official announcement highlights three changes for Jeonbuk’s business clients:
Settlement speed: transfers can complete in seconds to minutes. Availability: the service operates 24/7. Transparency: businesses gain clearer visibility into payment processing. The announcement does not publish the first payment corridors, fees, supported currencies or a customer rollout date. Those details will determine which Jeonbuk clients can use the service and how it compares with existing bank-remittance products.
Jeonbuk Bank President Park Choon-won called the partnership a step in the lender’s digital-finance strategy.
“This partnership will become a new growth engine for the bank.”
The key question: XRP, RLUSD or another settlement route? Ripple’s announcement does not identify the asset or currency used to settle Jeonbuk Bank’s transfers.
That leaves three possibilities open. The payment flows could use XRP, Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin, or a fiat and stablecoin arrangement selected for each corridor. Ripple has not confirmed any of them.
The distinction matters because a bank adopting Ripple Payments does not automatically establish new transaction demand for XRP. It also does not confirm that RLUSD will serve as the settlement asset.
The partnership confirms the payment platform and its target users. The settlement mechanism remains undisclosed.
Ripple’s third Korean financial-institution deal this year Jeonbuk Bank is Ripple’s third Korean institutional partnership announced in 2026.
Earlier deals covered different parts of the digital-asset stack:
Kyobo Life Insurance is exploring on-chain settlement for Korean government bonds. Kbank is deploying Ripple Custody wallet infrastructure for institutional digital-asset operations. Jeonbuk Bank is adopting Ripple Payments for cross-border business remittances. Ripple has also expanded its regulated presence outside Korea. Ripple Payments Europe was added to ESMA’s MiCA register after receiving authorisation in Luxembourg. In Japan, RLUSD became the first foreign stablecoin approved under a new regulatory category.
Jeonbuk’s future announcements need to answer four practical questions: which countries the service will cover, which currencies it will support, when customers can access it and which asset settles each transfer.

Embodied AI Meets Decentralized LiquidityRavn Robotics has officially launched its $RAVN token on @Ripple's $XRP Ledger, bringing a new category of real-world asset to the network: embodied AI software built for autonomous machines. The company's focus sits squarely at the intelligence layer,
The $RAVN token is structured as more than a standard utility instrument. meaning holders gain exposure to the company's performance through a blockchain-native format rather than conventional equity channels. The launch integrates AI-driven perception and real-time coordination capabilities for autonomous drones and unmanned systems directly into the $XRP ecosystem.
A Growing Ledger for Real-World AssetsThe Ravn launch arrives as the XRP Ledger cements its position as a leading venue for tokenized real-world assets. Institutional momentum has been building steadily, with
On the infrastructure side, Ripple has also been expanding its builder ecosystem:
Ravn Robotics represents a less conventional entry into this space, pairing the physical-world utility of autonomous systems with on-chain liquidity. Whether the model gains traction will depend on how the market values tokenized access to an early-stage robotics and AI company. But the launch signals a broadening of the asset types finding a home on the XRP Ledger, well beyond traditional finance.

Binance spustila odměnový program v hodnotě 800 000 USD vyplácený v XRP pro držitele RLUSD. Zároveň Santiment hlásí 49 929 aktivních adres XRP, což je nejvíce za více než dva měsíce.
Binance has launched an $800,000 XRP reward campaign for eligible RLUSD holders, creating another incentive to use Ripple’s stablecoin on the exchange. At the same time, XRP Ledger activity has picked up, with Santiment recording its highest daily active-address count in more than two months.
How the RLUSD XRP Rewards WorkBinance’s campaign ran from July 17 through August 14, with XRP rewards distributed every Friday. Users needed to maintain at least 0.01 RLUSD in eligible Binance Earn or Margin accounts and record at least $500 in average daily Margin or Futures trading volume.
RLUSD held in Flexible Savings, or used as collateral in Cross Margin, Isolated Margin or Portfolio Margin accounts, could qualify. Users also had to complete KYC and live in an eligible jurisdiction.
The reward calculation used the lowest RLUSD balance recorded through hourly snapshots each day. Binance then applied the weekly effective APR to the seven-day average qualifying balance.
XRP Rewards Fell as the Campaign ProgressedThe headline reward pool was $800,000 worth of XRP, divided across four weekly distributions. The effective APR changed considerably during the campaign:
July 24: 22.25%July 31: 8.22%August 7: 8.08%August 14: 7.69%This decline shows why the headline APR should not be treated as a fixed return. Binance states that the rate can change each week depending on qualifying balances and other campaign factors.
RLUSD obtained through borrowing also faced restrictions. Binance applied a 60% haircut to the leveraged portion, while borrowed RLUSD recorded as a liability did not count toward the qualifying balance.
XRP Ledger Activity Sends a Different SignalWhile XRP sentiment has weakened, blockchain activity has moved in the opposite direction. Santiment reported 49,929 active XRP addresses within 24 hours, the highest level in more than two months.
😠 XRP negativity surged throughout this week as prices have failed to rally (so far). Crowd commentary is now at a 3-month bearish extreme across X, Reddit, Telegram, and other crypto channels.
⚡ The XRP Ledger, on the other hand, is not so quiet. $XRP just saw 49,929 active… pic.twitter.com/CmXxOHSYt0
— Santiment Intelligence (@SantimentData) August 14, 2026 The increase comes after XRP market value fell below $1, with retail commentary reaching a three-month bearish extreme across social platforms, according to Santiment.
This creates an interesting contrast, while market sentiment is weak, participation on the XRP Ledger is rising.

Xaman Wallet varuje držitele $XRP před phishingem přes nevyžádané escrow transakce na XRP Ledgeru. Samotné přijetí transakce neškodí, riziko vzniká až po schválení podezřelého odkazu nebo podpisu.
An unusual wave of unsolicited escrow transactions targeting users of the Xaman Wallet on the XRP Ledger has prompted urgent warnings from both the wallet provider and key community figures. The fraudulent activity came to light after Web3 consultant Stone received a report from another user and found two unexplained escrow-related transactions in his own wallet: one for creation and one for cancellation.
Details of the phishing techniqueStone sought clarification using the Xaman Wallet support xAPP, receiving an in-depth explanation from the support team. According to Xaman, scammers have begun sending unsolicited escrow transactions to a variety of wallet addresses. These transactions are crafted to appear as if they hold substantial amounts of tokens, in some cases presenting assets labeled as USDT0 or other fabricated tokens not supported by the real XRP Ledger.
The fraudsters intend to draw user attention to links embedded within the transaction details or memos. These links often direct unsuspecting users to external websites, which falsely claim they can assist in claiming or releasing the escrowed assets. Engaging with these sites can result in users authorizing harmful transactions that provide scammers with access to their funds.
The wallet provider urges users not to connect their wallets or approve any transaction requests generated by unknown third-party sites. These unauthorized operations are specifically designed to secure account-level permissions, which could subsequently compromise user assets.
Xaman stressed that simply receiving an unsolicited escrow transaction is not sufficient for scammers to steal funds. For fraud to succeed, users must actively authorize a malicious transaction, granting the attacker the ability to control balances or redirect assets. Unless a user takes such action, their wallet remains secure despite receiving suspicious escrow activity.
Public nature of the XRP Ledger and user limitationsThe XRP Ledger’s decentralized and open structure means that any active wallet can send a transaction to another address without prior approval. As a result, users are unable to stop other parties from sending them transactions or to delete those entries from the ledger.
Xaman likened the process to receiving unwanted physical mail, where recipients cannot determine who sends messages to their address. Additionally, the technical team clarified that any fees associated with these unsolicited transactions are covered by the sender, not the recipient.
The support team’s response notes that users are not financially impacted by network fees in these cases, as those costs are paid entirely by the originator of the scam transaction.
Official guidance and next steps for usersTo further mitigate risk, Xaman has flagged the scammer accounts in its blacklist database and is actively monitoring the situation. The company advises wallet holders to disregard unsolicited escrow transactions, refrain from clicking on suspicious links embedded in transaction metadata, and avoid signing or approving transactions without deliberate intent.
Stone publicly thanked Xaman for its detailed explanation and rapid action, sharing the company’s recommendations across the broader XRP Ledger community. This experience underscores the importance for wallet users to utilize official support channels when encountering unexpected on-chain activity and to avoid direct interaction with transactions that seem unfamiliar.
As the digital asset sector continues to evolve, parallel trends are emerging within traditional financial markets. While monitoring for phishing attempts and new token-based threats remains central for XRP holders, investors are also witnessing a significant transition as Wall Street moves its operations to Web3 infrastructure. Platforms such as 1stepSwap now allow digital asset holders to keep tokenized shares of major U.S. companies, as well as assets like gold and silver, directly in their crypto wallets. By automatically sourcing the best available market prices and removing traditional intermediaries, these solutions are redesigning the landscape for both conventional and crypto-native investors.
Xaman reiterates the need for ongoing vigilance, emphasizing that security depends on users not authorizing or initiating transactions for unrecognized assets or sources. For any unexpected or unclear wallet activity, consulting official support is strongly encouraged before taking action.

XRP futures open interest na Binance v srpnu vzrostl z 181 milionů USD na 232,7 milionu USD. Podle CryptoQuant za tím stály hlavně medvědí pozice a přetrvávající prodejní tlak.
XRP’s price has been under pressure after a recent correction brought it down to a multi-year low of $0.98. Despite this, the derivatives market for XRP on Binance has displayed a notable increase in trading activity.
Latest analytics from CryptoQuant, a leading blockchain data provider, indicated that open interest (OI) in XRP futures on Binance rose sharply in August. Figures show that OI reached $232.7 million on August 17, up from $181 million on August 3. This 28.6% increase pushed XRP’s futures OI to its highest point since June 2026.
Rising open interest generally indicates an influx of new capital and positions in the market. However, the report highlighted that this heightened activity emerged during a period marked by increased volatility and continued price declines for XRP.
An analyst from CryptoQuant observed that the majority of the surge stemmed from intensified bearish positions by traders, rather than fresh bullish momentum. This interpretation is based on several on-chain indicators tracked during the same period.
Market data points to continued sellingThe analytics further tracked XRP’s seven-day open interest trend. Open interest shifted from a decrease of $40 million on July 29 to a gain of $38.9 million by August 17. This swing, according to the report, demonstrates that many traders opened new positions in August, with both bullish and bearish strategies in play.
While open interest rose, Binance’s Perpetual Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD)—which summarizes net buying and selling activity—showed persistent selling pressure, falling to -$463.2 million. This metric provided clearer insight into market sentiment, revealing that aggressive sell-side orders have outweighed buying even as OI climbed.
The combination of a jump in open interest and falling CVD presents mixed signals for XRP. The rising OI might typically suggest renewed interest, yet the dominance of bearish bets paints a less optimistic picture for the short term.
CryptoQuant is a South Korea-based blockchain analytics provider offering real-time data on flow, activity, and sentiment across major cryptocurrencies and exchanges.
Mini dictionary: Open Interest (OI), the total value of outstanding futures or options contracts that have not been settled. Higher OI reflects increased participation and can indicate market sentiment.
XRP open interest on Binance soared from $181 million to $232.7 million between August 3 and August 17, as bearish positions dominated trade and sell-side pressure continued to build.

Evernorth upravil podmínky plánovaného vstupu na burzu Nasdaq tak, aby se počet vydaných akcií při uzavření obchodu odvíjel od tržní ceny XRP. Více než 95 % investorů s tím souhlasilo.
Recent price declines in XRP have not dampened the optimism of cryptocurrency commentator X Finance Bull, who expressed increased confidence following a significant announcement from Evernorth Holdings. The company, which manages a large XRP treasury, has revised its plans for a proposed listing on Nasdaq, maintaining its strategy while taking steps that could increase investor exposure to XRP with each share.
X Finance Bull pointed to changes in Evernorth’s subscription agreements regarding a private placement of its common shares. The modification is linked to the company’s proposed business combination with Armada Acquisition Corp. II. Unlike the original arrangement, which used a fixed XRP price of $2.36 set at the time of signing, the updated structure will use XRP’s market value at closing to determine the final deal terms.
With this adjustment, if the value of XRP changes by the time the transaction closes, the number of shares issued could be affected. Specifically, a higher XRP value at closing would lead to fewer shares being issued, meaning each share represents a larger portion of Evernorth’s XRP reserves. This structure gives investors greater XRP exposure per share if market conditions are favorable at closing.
Evernorth’s updated agreement aims to align its capitalization more closely with the current market value of its underlying XRP holdings, with the intention of increasing XRP per share and sustaining ecosystem development.
Evernorth stated that its overall strategy and the amount of XRP in its treasury remain unchanged with these amendments. The company reiterated its goal of growing the XRP ecosystem and maximizing the value of each share through active treasury management.
Mini dictionary: Evernorth Holdings is a company focused on cryptocurrency investments, particularly XRP, and it is pursuing a public market listing through a merger with a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC).
Over 95% of capital backers approve structural changesX Finance Bull noted that institutional support for Evernorth’s revised deal terms remains strong. The company confirmed that more than 95% of investors who committed capital to the transaction have agreed to the amended structure.
Key supporters of the plan include well-known firms such as Arrington Capital, SBI Group, Ripple, Pantera Capital, Kraken, and GSR. This backing from major industry names supports the credibility of Evernorth’s approach ahead of its possible public-market debut.
X Finance Bull emphasized that Evernorth’s public market strategy is distinguished by its commitment to increasing the value of XRP per share through strategic treasury operations and broader ecosystem engagement.
The commentator argued that the combination of Evernorth’s treasury-focused business model and the recent adjustments makes the company more than just another investment vehicle in the market.
Key Evernorth BackersSupport RateArrington Capital, SBI Group, Ripple, Pantera Capital, Kraken, GSROver 95% of committed capitalX Finance Bull’s positive stance centers on Evernorth’s stated goal of maximizing the amount of XRP behind each share. He believes that if Evernorth completes its proposed Nasdaq listing and attracts new public-market capital, it could further scale its XRP treasury and ultimately boost XRP per share over time.
For now, Evernorth continues working toward its Nasdaq debut, while the revised deal terms ensure that the share count at closing will directly reflect XRP’s market price on the day the transaction is finalized.

Bývalý zaměstnanec Ripple Bias Goose buduje nový startup na XRP Ledgeru, který má používat RLUSD jako hlavní finanční rail. Projekt zatím nemá vlastní token ani potvrzené partnery.
An unnamed XRP Ledger startup being developed by former Ripple staffer Bias Goose will use RLUSD as a primary financial rail, according to a series of public posts published since Aug. 8.
Summary
RLUSD will underpin the unnamed XRP Ledger startup, according to former Ripple staffer Bias Goose. Bias Goose says the project will avoid issuing its own token or using artificial incentives. Bias Goose first teased the unnamed XRP Ledger startup on August 8, targeting roughly September. Ripple reported nearly $1.6 billion of RLUSD circulating on August 6 against larger reserve assets. Project claims of yields above Treasury rates remain unverified until economic details and partners emerge. His latest Aug. 16 post said, “We will make RLUSD great again,” but disclosed no project name, partners or detailed product structure. Bias Goose previously worked in developer growth at Ripple and now works in marketing at Walrus Protocol.
The public disclosures remain narrower than some descriptions of the project suggest. Bias Goose has said the startup involves companies from a sector that has traditionally been resistant to blockchain and intends to generate “real yield” without its own token or artificial incentives. Those economic claims cannot yet be independently tested because the underlying businesses and revenue model remain undisclosed.
RLUSD is confirmed, but the startup remains unnamed Bias Goose first said on Aug. 8 that the XRP Ledger would get a new startup “in just about a month.” That points broadly to September rather than establishing a firm launch date. No exact date was included in that announcement.
We will make RLUSD great again
— Bias Goose 🇺🇸 (@BiasGoose) August 16, 2026 Two days later, he said the team had formed partnerships with a “rather closed off sector” and planned to bring participants from that industry onchain. He also said the model would use RLUSD rails, involve XRP later and feature “no incentives, no tokens.” These remain statements from the project’s creator rather than independently confirmed partner announcements.
Yield claims remain the biggest unanswered question The commercial pitch centers on returns generated by real-world activity rather than token emissions. Reports have attributed expectations of returns above U.S. Treasury yields to the project, but no underlying assets, borrowers, contractual cash flows or audited performance figures have been released. Those return claims should therefore be treated as forward-looking and unverified.
RLUSD itself does not automatically produce those returns. Ripple describes the stablecoin as a dollar-backed asset designed for payments, settlements, treasury management and onchain finance. Any yield offered through the startup would need to originate from another asset, strategy or commercial activity layered around RLUSD.
RLUSD already has a growing institutional footprint Ripple’s latest transparency report showed $1.5896 billion of RLUSD circulating against $1.7026 billion in reserve funds as of Aug. 6. Standard Custody & Trust Company, the issuer, is supervised by the New York Department of Financial Services, while Ripple publishes monthly third-party attestations covering supply and reserves.
RLUSD has also expanded internationally. Ripple and SBI launched the stablecoin in Japan in June following regulatory approval there. As crypto.news previously reported, RLUSD trading had driven more than $2.5 billion through XRP Ledger pairs by late June, giving new XRPL applications a deeper dollar-liquidity base than existed when RLUSD launched.
What happens next The next verifiable milestone is a fuller project reveal. Bias Goose’s Aug. 8 timeline points to roughly early September, but no firm launch date has been announced. Claims about counterparties, expected returns, legal structure or a possible Walrus integration remain unconfirmed until the project or its partners publish supporting details.
There is also no announced project token. Bias Goose has explicitly said the model will use “no incentives, no tokens” while operating on RLUSD rails. If that remains the structure, the main questions will be how RLUSD enters the system, what activity produces the proposed returns, how risks are managed and whether XRP gains a role beyond serving as the XRP Ledger’s native asset.
Binance has extended its rewards push around Ripple USD with another four-week campaign offering one million XRP to eligible RLUSD holders.
Summary
Binance extended its RLUSD rewards campaign through September 11 with one million XRP available overall. Eligible users need at least 0.01 RLUSD and $500 in average daily derivatives trading volume. One million XRP will be distributed across four weekly installments beginning August 21 to participants. Borrowed stablecoin-funded RLUSD receives a 60% haircut when Binance calculates qualifying margin balances for rewards. Ripple officially reported $1.59 billion of RLUSD circulating against $1.70 billion in reserve funds recently. The new campaign began at 00:00 UTC on Aug. 14 and runs through Sept. 11, according to the exchange’s updated announcement. Rewards will be distributed every Friday across four installments.
The follow-on program started immediately after Binance’s first RLUSD campaign ended on Aug. 14. That earlier promotion offered $800,000 worth of XRP across four weekly distributions beginning July 17. As crypto.news previously reported, the first campaign tied XRP rewards to eligible RLUSD balances held through Binance Earn and Margin products.
Binance keeps RLUSD eligibility rules largely unchanged To qualify, users must maintain at least 0.01 RLUSD in an eligible Earn or Margin account and record at least $500 in average daily Margin or Futures trading volume. The trading volume can come from any supported pair as long as RLUSD is being used as collateral.
Binance calculates rewards using each user’s qualifying RLUSD balance and an effective annualized percentage rate determined for each weekly period. The lowest RLUSD balance observed during hourly snapshots becomes the qualifying balance for that day. There is no stated individual reward cap.
RLUSD created by borrowing other stablecoins receives different treatment. Binance applies a 60% haircut to the leveraged portion after accounting for liabilities involving USDT, USDC, U, USD1 and FDUSD. RLUSD that is itself recorded as a borrowing liability is excluded from the qualifying balance.
One million XRP will be distributed through Sept. 11 The first distribution under the new campaign is scheduled for Aug. 21, followed by payments on Aug. 28, Sept. 4 and Sept. 11. Binance will determine the effective APR and XRP valuation for each period at the time of distribution.
The prior campaign shows how those rates can move. Its effective APR started at 22.25% for the first week, then fell to 8.22%, 8.08% and 7.69% in subsequent distributions. Binance warns that the APR is “not indicative of future results” and may fluctuate from week to week.
The new reward pool is denominated directly in one million XRP rather than a fixed dollar value. Its final dollar value will therefore depend on the XRP price Binance uses for each weekly distribution.
U.S. and European users face participation restrictions The campaign is not available globally. Binance’s current exclusion list includes the U.S., UK, Canada, Japan and numerous European Economic Area jurisdictions. Users must also complete KYC and remain in an eligible jurisdiction. Binance notes that the exclusion list can change as regulatory requirements develop.
The geographic limits are particularly relevant for RLUSD because Binance warns that unauthorized stablecoins face restrictions for EEA users under MiCA. Holding RLUSD alone does not make a user eligible for the promotion.
RLUSD supply remains near $1.6 billion The campaign comes after Binance listed RLUSD and XRP-linked trading pairs in January, expanding the stablecoin’s availability on one of the largest crypto trading platforms.
Ripple’s latest official transparency data shows $1.5896 billion of RLUSD in circulation against $1.7026 billion of reserve funds as of Aug. 6. Standard Custody & Trust Company issues RLUSD under supervision from the New York Department of Financial Services, while independent CPA attestations are published monthly.
What happens next The next confirmed milestone is the first new XRP distribution on Aug. 21. Binance will then publish the effective APR and XRP token value used for that reward period. Three additional weekly distributions are scheduled before the campaign closes on Sept. 11.
For users, the amount received will depend on qualifying RLUSD balances, total eligible balances across the campaign and the effective APR. The one million XRP figure is the total pool rather than a guaranteed amount or fixed return for any individual participant.
Jane Street v přiznání 13F uvedla přes 1,2 milionu akcií Bitwise XRP ETF v hodnotě 14,05 milionu USD a zároveň pozice ve fondech Franklin, Grayscale, Canary a 21Shares.
Jane Street Group, a leading global trading firm based in the United States, revealed significant exposure to multiple XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF) products in its second quarter 2026 13F filing, including more than 1.2 million shares of the Bitwise XRP ETF valued at $14.05 million. The document, widely circulated among cryptocurrency analysts, also lists call positions and smaller spot entries.
Jane Street expands XRP ETF activityThe 13F filing details Jane Street’s positions across several major XRP ETF issuers, including Bitwise, Franklin Templeton, Grayscale, Canary, and 21Shares. Three separate entries for the Bitwise XRP ETF are shown: the largest, with 1,205,000 shares held outright, another as a call option with 15,100 shares, and a third with 67 shares.
Jane Street also disclosed smaller but noteworthy positions in the Franklin, Grayscale, Canary, and 21Shares XRP ETFs. The firm’s involvement in a range of products reflects an operational engagement that reaches beyond standard portfolio investment.
Jane Street’s presence across the XRP ETF ecosystem, spanning five separate issuers, points to a substantial market-making role rather than a typical institutional allocation.
Crypto commentator BankXRP highlighted Jane Street’s broad activity, saying its engagement with multiple XRP ETF issuers indicates a structural commitment to providing liquidity in this developing spot ETF market.

Institutional XRP ETF disclosures surge in 2026The second quarter of 2026 has seen a rising trend of institutional disclosures involving spot XRP ETF products. Other financial institutions, including Wells Fargo and Bank of Montreal, recently revealed significant XRP ETF holdings in their regulatory filings. For example, Wells Fargo reported a $9.18 million investment in Bitwise XRP ETF across two accounts, while Bank of Montreal made a similar disclosure days earlier.
Asset management firms have also joined the trend. Militia Capital Management disclosed ownership of 31,820 shares in the Bitwise XRP ETF in an amended filing, and Gallacher Capital Management reported 86,744 shares of the Canary XRP ETF valued at $961,126. Jane Street’s report stands out due to the scale and range of its investments across different ETF issuers.

Wells Fargo ve svém nejnovějším čtvrtletním hlášení uvedla expozici v Bitwise XRP ETF ve výši zhruba 9,18 milionu USD. Jde o dosud největší zveřejněnou institucionální pozici v tomto ETF.
Wells Fargo, one of the largest banks in the United States, reported approximately $9.18 million in exposure to the Bitwise XRP ETF in its latest quarterly securities filing. The bank manages $2.1 trillion in total assets and $2.5 trillion in client assets, underscoring the institutional significance of this disclosure.
Institutional participation in XRP ETFs growsThe bank’s Q2 2026 13F-HR form, filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on August 14 and covering holdings as of June 30, 2026, detailed two distinct positions in the Bitwise XRP ETF. The filing includes individual line items of $1.39 million and $7.79 million, both identified under the same CUSIP for the Bitwise product. This indicates the positions are managed across different accounts or fund structures within the bank’s operations.
Xaif, a cryptocurrency market commentator, first drew attention to the filing’s contents, emphasizing the importance of a major US banking institution taking sizeable positions in a digital asset ETF. Xaif described Wells Fargo’s exposure to the Bitwise XRP ETF as “worth watching,” given the bank’s status among the four largest banks in the country.
Wells Fargo, holding $2.1 trillion in total assets and $2.5 trillion in client assets, has revealed approximately $9.18 million in Bitwise XRP ETF exposure across two separate entries: $1.39 million and $7.79 million. The size of these positions highlights the rising level of institutional engagement with XRP products.

Other asset managers, such as Militia Capital Management, have filed amended reports reflecting significant stakes in the same Bitwise XRP ETF. These developments signal growing recognition of XRP products across various segments of the investment industry.
Bitwise XRP ETF draws continued attentionThe Bitwise XRP ETF has appeared in an expanding number of 13F filings throughout 2026, drawing greater focus from institutional investors. Wells Fargo’s current $9.18 million allocation ranks as the largest single holding among disclosed institutions so far this quarter. The continued emergence of new filings signals increasing institutional appetite for digital asset exposure via established ETF vehicles.
Wells Fargo’s investment in the Bitwise XRP ETF and other recent filings reflect deepening institutional engagement with XRP. This quarter’s disclosures have added more significant financial institutions than in any previous period.
Record expansion for institutional XRP filingsThe Q2 2026 reporting period marks a high point for institutional disclosures related to XRP. The filings show a diverse array of entities, from commercial banks to asset managers, allocating capital to XRP ETFs using different product structures and account types. This demonstrates XRP’s widening reach across the financial sector.

XRP is currently trading near its lowest level since November 2024, even as on-chain activity and institutional interest have increased. Recent comments from prominent analysts in Japan and Europe point to renewed discussions about a potential repricing of this cryptocurrency.
Japanese analyst highlights XRP’s unique roleYasuo Matsuda, Senior Analyst at Rakuten Wallet, has offered a positive outlook on XRP, describing it as “uniquely exceptional” within the digital asset landscape. Rakuten Wallet is a widely recognized financial platform in Japan known for its active support of regulated cryptocurrency trading.
Matsuda cited XRP’s design, emphasizing that it was originally developed as a crypto asset for remittance. He stated that this fundamental utility will eventually be reflected in XRP’s market capitalization and price, arguing that a repricing is only a matter of time.
Japan’s long-standing regulatory framework for digital assets has positioned it as a progressive environment for crypto projects to develop. Expert analysis from local financial institutions is often seen as especially influential within the sector.
Yasuo Matsuda, Senior Analyst at Rakuten Wallet, called XRP “uniquely exceptional,” pointing to its original purpose as a remittance asset and suggesting that this value will ultimately be visible in the market capitalization.
European analysts and institutional movesAnalysts outside Japan have voiced similar views. In Germany, a financial expert highlighted XRP’s technical position, calling it “brutally oversold.” The term “oversold” signals a situation where the asset’s market price is below what technical indicators support.
Recent institutional disclosures appear to echo this line of thinking. Ironbridge Private Wealth, a financial services firm, reported holding a combined $10 million position in the Bitwise XRP ETF and Volatility Shares XRP ETF, amounting to about 1.2 million shares in total.
Such positions suggest that some investors anticipate either a recovery or upward movement in XRP’s price in response to fundamental and technical factors.

Additionally, Ripple moved 50 million XRP from its company-controlled wallet, an event identified as rare and potentially connected to strategic decisions. Ripple, the company behind the XRP cryptocurrency, seeks to modernize global financial infrastructure through real-time cross-border settlement solutions.
On the policy front, the US SEC is preparing to introduce new rules, potentially allowing crypto projects to raise funds without standard registration requirements. Ripple’s chief business officer, Reece Merrick, noted that the company’s mission includes “rewiring the financial system,” particularly focusing on institutional adoption, real-world asset tokenization, and expansion in regions such as the Middle East.
The combination of rising on-chain activity, significant wallet movements, and regulatory changes fuels expectations for an eventual price adjustment in XRP, even as current market levels remain subdued.
The path forward for XRP pricingThe discussion around repricing centers on the divergence between XRP’s trading price and the broader utility and activity within its network. Analysts and institutional buyers contend that this gap represents potential for upward movement, though the timing of any significant price change remains uncertain. XRP has maintained a prominent position among digital assets for over a decade, but observers continue to watch for market dynamics that could align its price with its underlying developments.

Standard Chartered podle dokumentace už integruje XRP do své platební sítě BRICS Bridge pro přeshraniční platby. Banka uvádí, že XRP je součástí institucionální infrastruktury vedle stablecoinů a CBDC.
Standard Chartered Bank has emerged as a key player in the evolving payments infrastructure of the BRICS nations, according to recent analysis by crypto researcher SMQKE and independent journalist Maximus. The British multinational banking group describes itself as a “super connector,” providing institutional-grade, network-agnostic digital solutions to its clients across global financial markets.
XRP’s Role in Standard Chartered’s Payment NetworkStandard Chartered’s digital ecosystem spans both public blockchains such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, as well as central bank digital currency (CBDC) networks connected to Project mBridge and its latest form, BRICS Bridge. BRICS Bridge operates as a settlement corridor linking national banking systems across borders for more efficient international transactions.
A leaked document from the Hyperledger Foundation indicates that this architecture integrates with global Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) infrastructure and combines it with multiple local payment networks, including SEPA, ACH, and FPS in regions such as the UK, China, the United States, Europe, and Japan. Standard Chartered is directly linked to this payment structure, enabling broad institutional access.
In documentation recently circulated by SMQKE and examined by Maximus, Ripple and its native asset XRP appear alongside stablecoin issuers within Standard Chartered’s network diagrams. This placement highlights XRP’s presence in the institutional payment architecture.
Michael Spiegel, the Global Head of Transaction Banking at Standard Chartered, addressed XRP’s integration:
“We see a very large number of payment service providers native on ISO 20022 and also quite a lot of coin providers and Ripple’s XRP.” Spiegel added that the ISO 20022 standard enables bridging between traditional and decentralized finance.
ISO 20022 is the international standard for electronic financial messaging that major payment systems around the world now utilize. Ripple has aligned its products with this standard, which positions XRP as a native asset within this institutional financial infrastructure.

BRICS Pay Access Broadens Beyond Member StatesAnother notable element in Standard Chartered’s approach is its integration of BRICS Pay—a payment layer developed atop the BRICS Bridge infrastructure. BRICS Pay is not restricted solely to BRICS members. Standard Chartered has embedded BRICS Pay into its digital payments platform, which enables its clients to transact directly with partners in the BRICS countries.
This functional expansion transforms BRICS Bridge from a closed payment loop used only by BRICS nations into a larger, cross-border payment corridor. Institutions in the UK and other countries can now interact with the BRICS financial framework through Standard Chartered’s infrastructure.
BRICS Bridge’s expanded connectivity signals that the system may become a global payments network, linking emerging markets directly to established financial centers outside the BRICS bloc.

The bank, as a major global financial institution, is intertwined with the BRICS payment network and has adopted messaging protocols, such as ISO 20022, that support direct use of assets like XRP in cross-institutional transactions.
The development is notable given that few digital assets receive such explicit placement in institutional finance layers. Documentation shared by Standard Chartered indicates that XRP’s integration is not planned but has already occurred.
This suggests a new level of institutional acceptance for XRP, positioning it as an operational asset within large-scale cross-border payments, rather than as a speculative vehicle on the periphery of the financial system.

XRP whale inflows to Binance fell to $61M, the lowest since 2021 and nearly 87% below January 2025 levels.
Bank of America held 13,260 XRPI shares in Q2, up 260 shares, or roughly 2%, from the first quarter.
Binance XRP netflows stayed positive at $18.8M, showing inflows still exceeded outflows despite the slowdown.
XRP Ledger active addresses rose 84% to 43,543 by August 11, while XRP traded near the key $1.06 level.
XRP is showing two contrasting signals as exchange-bound whale activity falls sharply while Bank of America slightly increases exposure through a regulated futures product. The combination highlights weaker large-holder deposits on Binance alongside a measured increase in institutional securities exposure tied to the token.
CryptoQuant contributor Darkfost said Binance’s 90-day average whale inflows fell to about $61 million, the lowest level since 2021. Meanwhile, an August 14 filing showed Bank of America held 13,260 shares of the Volatility Shares XRP ETF at June 30.
Whale Deposits Fall Sharply While XRP Holds Near $1
The current $61 million average marks a steep decline from roughly $456 million in January 2025 and $355 million in October. That places recent inflows about six to seven-and-a-half times below those earlier levels.
The decline also extended a trend visible in July, when the 90-day average stood near $69 million. Moving from $69 million to $61 million represents an additional decrease of roughly 12%.
Earlier data also showed large daily deposits collapsing from 583 million XRP to 25.3 million XRP. Separately, the 30-day sum of whale inflows fell 34.4%, from 1.445 billion tokens to 947.4 million.
📉 $XRP whale inflows on Binance drop to their lowest since 2021
There's an interesting development currently taking place regarding Binance's whales on XRP.
💥 Their inflows, averaged here over 3 months to get a clean read on the trend, just hit their lowest level since 2021.… pic.twitter.com/kY2FRFtHVM
— Darkfost (@Darkfost_Coc) August 15, 2026
Exchange inflows are often monitored because large deposits can increase potential sell-side supply. However, deposits do not confirm completed sales, so lower inflows do not establish whale accumulation.
That distinction remains important as Binance netflows were still positive at about $18.8 million, according to Darkfost. Therefore, whale-related deposits continued exceeding withdrawals despite the broader decline in inflow activity.
At the same time, network usage increased. Active XRP Ledger addresses rose from 23,642 on August 1 to 43,543 by August 11, an increase exceeding 84%.
Even so, higher address activity did not provide direct evidence of fresh capital entering the market. At press time, XRP traded near $1.06, keeping the $1 level central to current price structure.
Bank of America Raises XRPI Position by 2% in Q2
Against that market backdrop, Bank of America reported a modest increase in its XRP-linked ETF holding for the second quarter. The filing showed 13,260 shares, compared with 13,000 shares reported during the first quarter.
That increase equals 260 shares, or about 2%. The disclosure therefore reflects an expanded existing position rather than a new entry into the product.
The fund, ticker XRPI, is the Volatility Shares XRP ETF and began trading on Nasdaq in May 2025. It seeks returns generally corresponding to the token’s performance.
However, XRPI is futures-based and does not hold the cryptocurrency directly. Bank of America’s position therefore represents indirect exposure through a regulated security.
Together, the two developments present a factual contrast. Whale inflows to Binance are at their weakest level since 2021, while Bank of America modestly increased its ETF position.
Neither signal establishes a broader trend by itself. However, the data shows exchange-side selling pressure easing while regulated institutional exposure increased slightly during the second quarter.
Wyomingský stablecoin FRNT je propojen s XRP Ledger, Stellar a Hedera přes Fireblocks. Oficiální materiály ale nepotvrzují, že by se pro jeho vydávání přímo používaly XRP nebo XLM.
Wyoming’s state-issued stablecoin is drawing increased attention from the digital asset community following fresh insights into its technical infrastructure and network integrations. Recent findings presented by cryptocurrency researcher SMQKE highlight new connections between the Wyoming Stable Token and several prominent blockchain platforms.
Major blockchain integrations revealedSMQKE reported that the Wyoming Stable Token, also known as FRNT, has established integrations with the XRP Ledger, Stellar, and Hedera networks. These developments are based on materials that detail how the stablecoin ecosystem interacts with established blockchain technologies as Wyoming advances its digital currency efforts.
The documentation referenced by SMQKE presents integration support for both the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and Stellar networks through the Fireblocks platform. According to these materials, XRP and XLM benefit from Fireblocks’ network support, while HBAR is utilized as a bridging option within the state’s digital asset framework.
A network diagram included in the shared resources displays Fireblocks’ compatibility with Ripple’s XRPL, Stellar, and a range of EVM-compatible blockchains. The same overview lists over 20 supported stablecoins, including USDC and USDT, highlighting Fireblocks’ role in Wyoming’s approach to multi-chain operability.
The Wyoming Stable Token Commission’s official information confirms Fireblocks as a key technology partner. Their published materials describe a multichain issuance process, emphasizing flexibility across various blockchain environments. FRNT is currently accessible for public purchase on Kraken, and the Commission adds that the token can also be acquired on Solana and bridged to Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Hedera, Optimism, and Polygon through Stargate’s infrastructure.
Following claims that XRP, XLM, and HBAR themselves would be used for the Wyoming stablecoin, a clarification emerged from blockchain commentator Jeremy Bureau. He pointed out a critical distinction between integrating with a blockchain network versus directly utilizing its native asset. Bureau explained that the public documents reference the XRPL as part of the ecosystem but do not explicitly state that XRP will be used by the Wyoming stablecoin.
He referenced Wyoming’s earlier treasury bond pilot, which operated over the XRPL but did not involve XRP as a transactional asset. Bureau’s remarks encourage careful interpretation when distinguishing between infrastructure use and underlying token utility.
Bureau emphasized that participation of XRPL in the stablecoin network does not mean XRP itself is being used. The documentation specifically cites the XRPL platform without mentioning XRP as the native token for the stablecoin.
This clarification is significant in understanding the state’s digital asset strategy. The available documents identify XRPL, Stellar, and Hedera among the networks enabled through the integration framework, while the presence of native tokens such as XRP and XLM remains limited to network-level access and not direct stablecoin issuance.
Wall Street trends and RWA tokenizationAs stablecoin projects like Wyoming’s expand onto multiple blockchains, broader trends in finance are accelerating the shift toward tokenized real-world assets (RWAs). While traditional finance often relies on a web of intermediaries, the transition to Web3 is facilitating direct asset ownership. Platforms such as 1stepSwap now allow investors to hold shares of leading US companies, gold, and silver directly in their crypto wallets. By tokenizing RWAs and instantly locating the most competitive market prices, these solutions streamline transactions and remove middlemen from the process.
Wyoming’s stablecoin infrastructure underscores a push for broad interoperability, leveraging XRPL, Stellar, and Hedera to enable access and bridging across multiple networks. Yet, the direct use of native tokens such as XRP or XLM for the issuance of FRNT has not been shown in official materials.
The Wyoming Stable Token initiative continues to signal the state’s ambition to lead US efforts for regulated, blockchain-based financial infrastructure, with a clear focus on interoperability and broad market access.
