Original source text
Binance announced the delisting of OMG Network, NEM and Waves coins on June 17, 2024. The exchange will end support for withdrawals on September 17. Binance has announced the delisting of four altcoins, news that has seen the said tokens nosedive amid market reaction. The exchange notified the crypto community of the impending delisting on Monday, June 3, with OMG Network price falling sharply alongside that of the other tokens. Binance delists XEM, OMG and WAVES According to Binance, trading support for the four altcoins will cease on June 17, 2024, at 03:00 (UTC). Specifically, the exchange will end support for spot trading pairs for OMG Network, NEM, Waves and Wrapped NXM. The action against the four cryptocurrencies follows internal reviews that target adherence to industry standards and requirements. “When a coin or token no longer meets these standards or the industry landscape changes, we conduct a more in-depth review and potentially delist it. Our priority is to ensure the best services and protections for our users while continuing to adapt to evolving market dynamics,” the exchange wrote in the announcement. Per the notice, reviews involve factors such as team’s commitment to the project, development activity, trading volume and liquidity and network security. Binance also regularly reviews projects in terms of their smart contract stability, level of public communication and new regulatory requirements among other factors. Key details According to the exchange, the trading pairs to be removed include MG/USDT, WAVES/BTC, WAVES/ETH, WAVES/TRY, WAVES/USDT, WNXM/USDT, and XEM/USDT. Withdrawals will halt on September 17, 2024 at 03:00 (UTC). Binance has previously announced delistings for tokens such as Monero (XMR), Aragon (ANT) and Multichain (MULTI) based on such due diligence. OMG, XEM and WAVES tumble OMG Network, (OMG), Waves (WAVES), NEM (XEM) and Wrapped NXM (WNXM) are all down as the altcoins tumble amid the major announcement from Binance. According to data from CoinGecko, OMG Network price was down 27% to near $0.50, while NEM traded 30% down at $0.025. Meanwhile, WAVES, which traded at highs of $4.81 in mid-March, was down 27% to around $1.70. Wrapped NXM slipped nearly 5% after the news to hit $80.75 at the time of writing. |

One Selling Pattern Reveals the Next Major Bitcoin Price Risk of 2026 | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
Bitcoin (BTC) price slipped below $67,000 on April 2, falling roughly 2.8% in 24 hours and extending a year-to-date decline that now sits near 23%.The drop aligns with a pattern forming across on-chain data, chart structure, and derivatives positioning. One cohort of buyers has been steadily exiting since January, and the technical picture now threatens a 14% correction if a key level fails. The Buyers Who Bought the Dip Are Walking AwayBTC HODL waves, an on-chain metric that tracks the percentage of supply held by different age groups, show a dramatic exit from the 1-month to 3-month cohort. On January 14, this group controlled 14.67% of the total Bitcoin supply. By April 1, that figure had fallen to 8.19%, its lowest reading of the year. The decline accelerated in two distinct waves. The first came post mid-February, when the cohort’s share dropped from 12.72% on February 15 to single digits by February 22. A second aggressive leg down arrived around March 22, when the reading slipped from 9.44% and continued falling without recovery. BTC HODL Waves 1m-3m Decline: GlassnodeWant more token insights like this? Sign up for Editor Harsh Notariya’s Daily Crypto Newsletter here. This group represents participants who accumulated during the Q1 drawdown, expecting a bounce. Their persistent selling over nearly three months signals that short-term conviction has evaporated. When recent buyers distribute at a loss rather than averaging down, it typically reflects capitulation rather than healthy rotation. That behavioral shift is visible on the Bitcoin price chart as well. Since late February, the daily timeframe has been forming a head and shoulders pattern. The pattern validates the weakness that the HODL wave data already flagged. Head and Shoulders Formation: TradingViewHowever, whether the pattern triggers depends on how the derivatives market is positioned around the breakdown zone. Leverage Leans the Wrong WayDespite bearish signals from both on-chain behavior and chart structure, the BTC derivatives market has not adjusted defensively. Over the past seven days on the Binance BTC/USDT perpetual pair, cumulative long liquidation leverage totals $1.44 billion in active positions. Short liquidation leverage sits at $1.03 billion. The roughly 40% skew toward longs means the market remains positioned for upside while the technical picture deteriorates. Binance BTC/USDT Liquidation Map: CoinglassThe Binance BTC liquidation map sharpens the risk further. Of the $1.44 billion in total long exposure, approximately $1.13 billion clusters at a single level near $64,533. That concentration means nearly 80% of all long positions opened over the past week would be forcibly closed if price reaches that zone. Liquidation Map Key Cluster: CoinglassHigh-leverage positions using 25x and 50x multipliers dominate the cluster. Even a modest push into that range could trigger cascading forced selling, turning a controlled decline into a liquidation-driven flush. The mismatch between bearish structure and bullish leverage is where the greatest Bitcoin price risk builds. The BTC price chart now becomes the final arbiter of whether that risk materializes. Bitcoin Price Prediction and One Critical LineThe daily chart confirms the head and shoulders pattern with Fibonacci (Fib) levels mapping every critical zone. The Fib levels are drawn from the head of the pattern to the completed swing low. Bitcoin currently trades near $66,425, having already lost the 0.236 Fib level at $67,510. The measured move from the pattern projects a 14.16% decline, targeting approximately $60,024 on the way down. However, the path runs through $64,888, a level that is slightly above the neckline area for the pattern. Losing $64,888 would place price directly into the $1.13 billion long liquidation cluster at $64,533 identified in the derivatives section. That overlap transforms the neckline break from a technical event into a leverage-driven cascade. From there the full 14% target, under $60,000 becomes realistic. For the bearish thesis to fail, Bitcoin price needs a daily close above $69,132 to begin neutralizing the right shoulder. Strength only returns above $71,750, the 0.618 level, and a move past $75,997 would invalidate the head and shoulders entirely. Bitcoin Price Analysis: TradingViewHead and shoulders patterns do not always resolve in the expected direction. A sudden demand surge or macro catalyst could reverse the structure before the neckline is tested. However, the convergence of capitulating short-term buyers, long-heavy leverage, and declining price structure lowers the probability of that outcome. A daily close below $64,888 separates a measured pullback from a leveraged flush toward the $60,000 zone, while reclaiming $69,132 would be the first signal that sellers are running out of momentum. |

Litecoin Eyes Breakout: Ending Diagonal Hints At New Highs Ahead | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
Litecoin is showing signs of a potential breakout, as its current price structure suggests the formation of an ending diagonal, a pattern often observed near the end of a correction. With the market nearing a critical level, a confirmed move above resistance could signal the start of a new bullish phase. LTC Forms Potential Reversal Structure On 4H Chart Providing an updated outlook for Litecoin (LTC) on the 4-hour timeframe, Elliott Waves Academy noted that recent price action is starting to exhibit signs of a potential reversal. The current structure suggests that the market may be transitioning out of a prolonged corrective phase, with momentum gradually shifting as the pattern matures. According to the analysis, LTC appears to be forming an ending diagonal pattern, representing wave (C) within a broader flat correction. This type of formation typically appears in the final stages of a correction, suggesting that the overall corrective move may be nearing completion. Source: Chart from Elliott Waves Academy on X A decisive move higher will be key in confirming this outlook. If price manages to break above a critical resistance level and push through the upper boundary of the diagonal structure, it would significantly strengthen the bullish case. Such a breakout could trigger the beginning of a new impulsive wave, potentially driving Litecoin toward a new high, with projected targets aligning around the 100% extension of the previous wave’s length. However, the strength and sustainability of this potential rally will depend on broader market conditions and the level of buying momentum that follows the breakout. Continued demand and strong follow-through will be essential to validate the bullish scenario, while any failure to maintain upward pressure could delay or weaken the anticipated move. Factors Supporting This Scenario The analyst went on to highlight several key factors supporting this outlook, starting with the development of a diagonal structure identified as wave (C) within a broader wave X. This placement within the larger corrective framework suggests that the market is likely approaching the final phase of its correction, where exhaustion typically begins to set in. Another important factor is the presence of a well-defined reversal pattern forming near the lower boundary of the structure. Price action in this region shows signs of stabilization, indicating that momentum is shifting and selling pressure may be weakening. The analyst also emphasized that the overall behavior of the current corrective structure aligns with the expected completion of a diagonal pattern. The way price is unfolding, marked by overlapping waves and slowing momentum, fits the characteristics commonly seen in ending formations. Taken together, these signals strengthen the case that the correction may soon conclude, potentially opening the door for a bullish reversal. New Indie Ethereum Tools Making Waves | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
The coolest Ethereum tools don't always come from startups with major VC backing.Listen 3 0:00 0:00 Subscribe to Bankless or sign in The most useful launches in crypto aren’t always the ones coming from VC-backed giants. Ethereum, in particular, is full of indie builders quietly shipping what they believe in. Good tools are good tools. Here are three low-key community projects that aren’t flashy but will immediately upgrade your Ethereum wallet and portfolio management toolset.👇 An Onchain Lost & FoundSometimes I'm very active onchain, sometimes I'm more laid back. In the 2017-2019 era, I was still getting my bearings in crypto, so I was firing off transactions left and right, cramming ETH wherever I could to try new projects. I learned a lot this way, and fast. But as happens when you're juggling many things, I straight up forgot about some of my ETH positions from this period. Of course, I could go and manually hunt down these deposits, but that'd take a lot of effort and time. Plus, some things I'd miss because you can't track down things you don't even remember trying in the first place. The good news for us old timers is now we can have this hunting streamlined for us courtesy of Forgotten ETH by aaaaaaaaaaway. Inspired by @cartoonitunes' work with @EthereumHistory, I've been digging into contracts from the 2015-2019 era to find ETH's still withdrawable but has no active frontend and isn't tracked by Debank or other portfolio trackers. 116 contracts, 76,000+ ETH, 516k depositors with… pic.twitter.com/pYfLGoFBnG — aaaaaaaaaaway (@3pa15) March 31, 2026 This new platform scans more than 160 old Ethereum smart contracts (and counting), and, in the event it finds any lost ETH for your target address, it acts as a frontend you can use to easily retrieve your funds. It has helped recover 1,270 ETH so far across ancient projects like Aave v1, DigixDAO, EtherDelta, and beyond, so check the tool out if you were active on Ethereum prior to 2020. You might have a little chunk of ETH waiting for you! Enjoying this article? Subscribe to Bankless or sign in Transactions That Make SenseEvery year around the U.S. tax deadline in April, I'm reminded of how it can be difficult to read and piece together my transaction history. I say this mainly with regard to non-EVM chains, as Etherscan and its L2 block explorers are great. But still, there's a long way to go to making onchain info more readily understandable. Some projects, especially NFT ones, need bespoke solutions here. That said, I was pleasantly surprised to see a new block explorer arrive last week that's working in this direction, evm.now. Created by jalil.eth and ygg, this resource is all about making it easier to inspect and decipher Ethereum transactions, contract files, functions, etc. — jalil.eth (@jalilwahdat) April 6, 2026 So while a new block explorer might not be the sexiest of gadgets, I've really liked the UX of the platform in my initial deep dives here, and I can envision using it a lot more for future onchain analytics work. This site is also brand new, so expect more features to be revealed on a rolling basis. An AI Wallet InterfaceThe downside of crypto wallets built by large teams is that they can be slow to advance new tech and new features. On the flip side, small indie teams can move fast and experiment more freely. This sort of indie energy is what recently drew me to WalletChan, a fully open-source browser wallet extension built by apoorv.eth. — apoorv.eth (@apoorveth) April 2, 2026 The main pillar here is AI, namely using AI as the primary interface for taking onchain actions. WalletChan lets you use your Bankr AI agent wallet directly with any other onchain app the same way that you'd ordinarily use wallets like MetaMask, Rabby, Rainbow, etc. The WalletChan v3 was also just unveiled, featuring a slew of fresh goodies like native swaps, batch transactions, transaction simulations, gasless USDC transfers (for $WCHAN stakers), and more. It's worth a look, especially if you're already a user and fan of the Bankr system. 3 |

XRP Price Frozen for a Month? A 130 Million Whale Move May Finally Crack It | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
XRP price today sits near $1.34, barely changed over 30 days, down just 2.5%. Yet a shift in who holds XRP (XRP) supply suggests the freeze may not last much longer.On-chain data reveals the token’s least convinced holders have exited while two whale cohorts added 130 million tokens. With price compressed inside a falling channel, XRP technical analysis points to a convergence that could finally force a direction. A Falling Channel Keeps Price Frozen Below Key ResistanceXRP price has traded inside a falling channel on the 8-hour chart since its March 17 peak near $1.60. Every attempt to escape since then has failed at the same ceiling. The most recent rejection came on April 7 and 8. XRP reclaimed the 20-period and 50-period Exponential Moving Averages (EMA), trend indicators that weight recent price moves more heavily. However, the 100-period EMA rejected the advance cleanly. That level carries weight. Around March 15, XRP reclaimed the 100 EMA and it triggered another 11% rally to the $1.60 high. The same EMA now aligns with the channel’s upper trendline, creating a double XRP resistance wall. Want more token insights like this? Sign up for Editor Harsh Notariya’s Daily Crypto Newsletter here. XRP Falling Channel: TradingViewBeInCrypto recently covered a similar setup in Zcash. The token broke above its own falling channel and surged higher. XRP price prediction models suggest a comparable move is possible if this resistance falls. Yet an EMA alone does not confirm buyer conviction. The answer lies in who is accumulating and who is walking away. Weakest Holders Walk Out as XRP Whale Accumulation BuildsGlassnode data shows that speculative money is draining from XRP. The 1-day to 1-week HODL Waves cohort tracks the share of supply held by the newest holders. It peaked at 1.45% on April 4. That reading has since collapsed to 0.684%. More than half of this short-term supply exited in under a week. In isolation, that looks bearish. Yet these are the holders who typically sell into every bounce and kill rallies before they start. Their exit may actually be clearing the noise. HODL Waves Speculative Exit: GlassnodeMeanwhile, XRP whale accumulation has picked up from two separate cohorts. Santiment data shows the 1 billion-plus XRP cohort grew from 25.80 billion to 25.83 billion tokens since April 6. The 10 million to 100 million cohort followed a day later, rising from 11.31 billion to 11.41 billion. Together, both groups added roughly 130 million XRP, and only after the speculative traders started selling. XRP Whale Accumulation: SantimentHowever, the buying remains gradual. A Glassnode cost basis heatmap reveals roughly 420 million XRP sitting in a supply cluster directly overhead, between $1.37 and $1.38. XRP Supply Cluster Heatmap: GlassnodeIf that cluster’s holders begin selling into strength, whale buying alone may not crack through. The price chart reveals exactly where that wall sits. XRP Price Levels That Decide Whether the Freeze BreaksThe 8-hour Fibonacci chart maps the convergence zone. The immediate levels are $1.35 ($1.349 to be precise) and $1.36. Reclaiming and holding both would be the first sign of life. However, $1.38 is where the freeze lives or dies. The 100-period EMA, the channel’s upper trendline, and the 420 million XRP supply cluster all converge at that level. A clean close above $1.380 would confirm the XRP breakout. It would clear the channel, the EMA, and the supply wall simultaneously. Targets then open at $1.43, $1.51, and the March 17 high of $1.60. Yet failure to reclaim $1.35 would keep XRP price frozen inside the channel. In that scenario, $1.32 becomes the next XRP support level at risk. A deeper breakdown exposes $1.28 ($1.279 to be exact), where buyer interest has previously held. XRP Price Analysis: TradingViewThe 30-day freeze has compressed volatility to a breaking point. A close above $1.38 favors the whale thesis and opens a path toward $1.60. A rejection sends XRP back toward $1.28 and turns the freeze into a deeper slide. |

Bullish XRP Waves Has Ended, Bitcoin's (BTC) Goodbye to $80,000, Shiba Inu (SHIB) Exchange Netflows Cross 10 Billion: Crypto Market Review | CoinGecko News
|

We believe that all content is accurate as of the date of publication, but certain offers mentioned may no longer be available. The bullish wave that began to form in late February appears to have stalled out, and XRP's recent attempt at recovery is losing structure. The asset was able to create a series of higher lows and momentarily move closer to the $1.50 area, but there isn't any follow-through. The price is returning to hesitancy just below a significant resistance cluster rather than continuing. The rejection close to the short-term resistance trendline and the inability to maintain movement above it are the most telling indicators. XRP/USDT Chart by TradingViewAlthough XRP broke out of a local ascending structure, it did not develop into a long-term trend. Instead of expansion, what you are currently witnessing is a flattening of momentum. Instead of committing, the market tested upside liquidity. HOT Stories Technically speaking, XRP is still below its main moving averages, such as the 100 and 200 EMA, both of which are still declining. It defines the larger trend, so it is not just a small detail. Any bullish move is, by definition, a counter-trend as long as the price remains below those levels, and they usually fail unless they are backed by significant volume and persistence. Another flaw is the volume itself. The recent push higher did not result in any notable expansion, indicating that buyers were not sufficiently aggressive to flip market structure. Without that involvement, rallies are susceptible to swift reversals, which is precisely what appears to be occurring right now. You Might Also Like The rounding bottom formation, which appeared promising, could now be invalidated. The entire recovery attempt will restart if XRP begins to lose the higher-low structure around $1.35-$1.38, and the market will probably return to consolidation or even continue the downtrend. Although the likelihood is changing, there is still a small window of opportunity for XRP to stabilize and try another push. The bullish wave exhausted itself before regaining crucial resistance, so it did not enter a breakout phase. Bitcoin is not yet readyWith the $80,000 mark getting farther and farther out of reach, Bitcoin's most recent price action is beginning to resemble a rejection phase rather than a recovery attempt. Following a brief surge toward the mid-$70,000s, Bitcoin was unable to maintain its momentum and is currently stagnating just below a declining resistance trendline that has been capping the price for months. The structure is obvious: Bitcoin is trading inside a tightening formation, but it keeps failing at lower highs rather than creating pressure for a breakout. The notion that sellers continue to control the larger trend is reinforced by the fact that every attempt to recover higher levels is sold into. BTC/USDT Chart by TradingViewThe inability of Bitcoin to clearly break and hold above the 100 EMA is a serious warning sign for bulls, as it continues to be a significant barrier overhead. As far as trends go, nothing has changed. Both the 100 and 200 EMAs, which slope downward, are still locked above the asset. Instead of a reversal, that alignment indicates a continuation bias. The recent recovery from the $60,000-$65,000 range offered some short-term respite, but it has not resulted in a structural change. Nor does volume lend credence to a breakout story. Although there was some expansion during the initial rebound, there hasn't been consistent follow-through volume, indicating that the move does not have strong institutional support. In the short term, recovering $80,000 becomes increasingly implausible without that. Expectations of a return to $80,000 should be lowered unless Bitcoin can confidently reclaim the 100 EMA and break above the declining resistance. For the time being, BTC is essentially saying goodbye to that level. The likelihood that the market will turn its attention to consolidation or another downward leg increases with the length of time it remains below resistance. Shiba Inu's worrisome signalAt a time when price action is still structurally weak, Shiba Inu is displaying a well-known but unsettling signal: increasing exchange netflows. More than 10 billion SHIB are reportedly shifting toward centralized exchanges, according to the most recent data. This trend usually corresponds with rising sell-side pressure rather than accumulation. In terms of price, SHIB remains trapped in a wider downward trend. The 100 and 200 EMAs serve as dynamic resistance overhead as the asset continues to trade below its major moving averages. The market has entered a low-volatility consolidation phase close to local lows after recent attempts to push higher were swiftly capped. This type of compression frequently precedes a more significant move, but the likelihood of a downward continuation is skewed with increasing exchange inflows. You Might Also Like Exchange netflows are important because they reveal intent. Tokens that leave exchanges typically indicate long-term holding behavior. Moving on to exchanges, particularly in large quantities, suggests getting ready to sell or reposition. Reaching the 10 billion mark is a significant liquidity event that expands the market's supply, not just noise. The weak demand absorption is what makes this configuration more vulnerable. During recent bounces, volume has not significantly increased, indicating that buyers are not intervening forcefully enough to offset incoming supply. Even mild selling pressure can drive down the price in the absence of that demand. This is not a time for investors to believe that the bottom is in. Although the sideways movement may appear stable, distribution rather than accumulation is more likely. |

Solana Recovery Wave Building: Will It Break Out Of The Channel? | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
Solana (SOL) is showing early signs of recovery as price action begins to stabilize within a defined channel following its recent pullback. With selling pressure easing and buyers gradually stepping in, momentum appears to be shifting toward a potential corrective upswing. Corrective Recovery Scenario Takes Shape Presenting a wave outlook for Solana on the 1-hour timeframe, Elliott Waves Academy highlights a potential shift in short-term structure. Momentum appears to be cooling on the downside, opening the door for a corrective phase that could reshape the near-term trend. One of the more probable scenarios suggests a recovery unfolding through a corrective wave, potentially identified as wave (2)/(B). Such a move may develop into a double zigzag structure, a pattern often seen when the market attempts a deeper retracement with buyers gradually stepping back into the market. A decisive breakout above the upper boundary of the current diagonal pattern would provide early confirmation of this recovery setup. Strength would be further reinforced if price manages to clear the key level associated with the previous bearish wave, signaling that selling pressure is weakening. Source: Chart from Elliott Waves Academy on X From a Fibonacci perspective, the anticipated recovery zone lies between the 50% and 61.8% retracement levels of the prior downward move. These levels often act as magnets during corrective phases, with the potential for an extended push toward the 78.6% retracement if bullish momentum builds. For a broader bearish wave to occur, this retracement region must act as a strong resistance zone where sellers regain control. A noticeable increase in selling pressure here could trigger the next leg of the decline. However, if Solana begins to form impulsive waves while maintaining a pattern of higher lows, without revisiting the previous bottom, it would increase the likelihood of a more sustained upside move beyond the corrective phase. Solana Taps Reversal Zone, Early Bounce Emerges According to crypto analyst BitGuru, Solana has moved into a key reversal zone, where price is showing early signs of a bounce following its recent decline. The reaction in this area suggests that the market may be attempting to establish a short-term floor, with buyers starting to respond to the discounted price levels. At the same time, selling pressure appears to be gradually easing, pointing to a slowdown in bearish momentum. As downside strength fades, conditions often become favorable for buyers to step in, particularly in zones historically associated with demand. If Solana can maintain support above this level and continue forming higher lows, the ongoing bounce could develop into a more structured recovery. Such a move may pave the way for a push higher, with price potentially targeting the upper boundary of its recent range if bullish momentum continues to build. Dogecoin Has Entered The Zone That Led To The 2021 26,000% Surge And The Target Is Above $2 | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
A crypto expert has highlighted a recurring pattern on the Dogecoin (DOGE) price chart that led to its historical 2020 price rally. At the time, the DOGE price had skyrocketed by more than 26,000%, turning many early investors into millionaires in just a few months. Now, with the current chart structure repeating the same pattern, the analyst believes that Dogecoin may be preparing for another historic rally, this time to a $2 price target.Dogecoin Price Repeats Historic 2021 Bull Run Pattern In one of his latest Dogecoin analyses on X, market analyst Crypto Patel stated that DOGE is currently sitting within the same strong accumulation zone from 2021 that sent its price to an all-time high. He marked this zone at around $0.10, noting that Dogecoin traded around this level before jumping over 26,834% to $0.74 in the previous bull run. Crypto Patel noted that during that time, tweets from SpaceX and Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, had acted as a major catalyst to the meme coin’s upward price action. With renewed attention on Dogecoin, the analyst now believes that the fractal pattern from that past bull market is repeating in this cycle. He noted that the bull run between 2020 and 2022 had moved through Waves 1 to 5, with significant price fluctuations before finally peaking in the last wave. In his accompanying chart, Crypto Patel showed that in Wave 1, Dogecoin experienced its first breakout before jumping again to a new high in Wave 2. This bull run continued, with Waves 3, 4, and 5 all showing price moving higher before the peak finally triggered a bearish downtrend. Source: Chart from Crypto Patel on X Fast forward to the current cycle, Crypto Patel’s chart shows the market mirroring the same moves. Around 2024, Dogecoin experienced two breakouts similar to those in the previous cycle. After the second breakout, the price retested the former lows before experiencing another strong rally, marking Wave 3. Based on Crypto Patel’s analysis, the market is currently in Wave 4, following months of significant volatility and price declines. If history repeats, the analyst predicts Dogecoin could see another parabolic rally soon. His chart points to an upper price target around $2.0, representing a more than 2,767% rally from the current accumulation zone between $0.07 and $0.10. Dogecoin Whale Activity Surges Alongside Price While analysts maintain their bullish stance on Dogecoin, the meme coin is also seeing a surge in whale activity and price. Recent data shows that whales are accumulating Dogecoin in droves. A crypto analyst, Mando CT, reported that whale wallets holding DOGE have reached a new all-time high of 108.52 billion tokens valued at approximately $11.6 billion. He noted that large-holder activity has also spiked to its highest level in six months, reflecting renewed interest and demand for the meme coin. At the same time, CoinMarketCap data reveals that the DOGE price has risen by more than 3.4% in the last 24 hours, fueled by Bitcoin’s recent reclaim of the $80,000 level. Solana Market Structure Warns Of More Downside Despite Oversold Conditions | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
Solana’s price action continues to flash caution signals, even as momentum indicators suggest oversold conditions. The broader market structure remains tilted to the downside, with bearish waves still unfolding and key support levels under pressure. Until a clear shift in structure and a strong bullish impulse emerge, the risk of further downside remains firmly on the table. Bearish Structure Dominates Solana On Lower Timeframe In the current follow-up wave outlook for Solana on the 1-hour timeframe, Elliott Waves Academy highlights that bearish control remains firmly intact. The price has already experienced a strong impulsive decline, marking the first leg of a broader downward trend. This move is likely unfolding as waves 3–5 within wave (1)/(A), suggesting that the market is still in the early stages of a larger bearish cycle. At this stage, price is approaching the 100% extension of the prior wave, aligning with a key support level of $78.33. This zone is technically significant and could act as a temporary reaction point where buyers attempt to slow down the decline or trigger a short-term bounce. If the market fails to produce a convincing reversal at this support, the bearish structure is expected to extend further through the sub-waves of wave 5, reinforcing sustained selling pressure in the medium term. Source: Chart from Elliott Waves Academy on X From a short-term perspective, a wave 2 corrective rebound may develop before the next leg down. This bounce could take the form of a sharp, channeled recovery, often seen in counter-trend moves. However, any breakdown below key support during or after this correction would confirm that the broader bearish trend remains dominant, making it essential to monitor price action and structure at these levels closely. Weekly RSI Mirrors 2022 Bear Market Conditions According to More Crypto Online, the weekly RSI on Solana’s chart is currently showing similarities to the conditions observed during the 2022 bear market, just before the final bottom. This resemblance has drawn attention, as it may offer clues about the market’s current position within a broader cycle. Many market participants have pointed to the oversold RSI reading seen in February as a signal that a recovery could be underway. However, relying solely on RSI without confirmation from price structure can be misleading, especially in extended bearish phases. The current setup closely mirrors early 2022, when the market experienced a prolonged period of sideways movement before eventually forming a final low in both price and RSI. That historical pattern suggests that more consolidation or downside could still occur before a true bottom is established. For now, the comparison remains valid until a clear impulsive move to the upside is confirmed. Furthermore, a strong bullish impulse would significantly improve the overall outlook for Solana. Solana Price Structure Suggests Temporary Recovery Before Next Major Decision | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
Solana continues to trade within a cautious consolidation phase, with price action suggesting that a temporary recovery may develop before the market makes its next major directional move. While short-term momentum has started to stabilize, SOL still faces key resistance barriers that could determine whether the current bounce evolves into a stronger breakout or fades into another corrective wave. Solana Corrective Recovery Scenario Begins To Take Shape Focusing on the 1-hour timeframe, Elliott Waves Academy identifies a potential short-term recovery for Solana. This corrective move is modeled as wave (2)/(B), likely taking the shape of a complex double zigzag structure as the market attempts to stabilize after recent downward momentum. To confirm this recovery path, a decisive breakout above the upper boundary of the current diagonal pattern is key. Additionally, clearing the key resistance level tied to the previous bearish wave would significantly bolster the case for this upward correction, which is expected to evolve within the defined price channel shown on the chart. Source: Chart from Elliott Waves Academy on X The primary target for this relief rally resides within the 50% to 61.8% retracement zone of the preceding decline, with potential for an extension up to the 78.6% level. Ultimately, the structural outlook depends on how the price interacts with this resistance zone. If the recovery gives way to renewed selling, the area will likely act as a focal point for seller concentration. However, should the market establish higher lows and follow up with a series of impulsive waves, the trend would shift toward sustained upside potential. Solana Remains Stuck Inside Broad Range Structure MCO Global DE noted that Solana continues to trade sideways within the same broad range structure that has controlled price action for several months. According to the analysts, the market still lacks a convincing breakout signal, while recent movement on the lower timeframes is dominated by short-term noise. The expert explained that the leading scenario remains largely unchanged, with several important support zones continuing to hold. Immediate support is seen around $81.28, while significant support regions remain between $71.92 and $77.96. MCO Global DE added that another short-term dip cannot be ruled out before Solana attempts a renewed recovery within the larger B-wave structure. At the same time, the analysts warned that the market remains vulnerable to deeper corrective movement as long as the key resistance around the $96 level remains intact. Overall, MCO Global DE believes Solana is still trapped inside a large range-bound structure, with no clear confirmation of a larger bullish breakout at this stage. Until buyers successfully overcome the major resistance levels, particularly near $96 and eventually $110, the broader market outlook is expected to remain cautious and neutral. Solana Just Made History, Could A Massive Recovery Be Next? | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
Solana has made history by posting an unprecedented streak of monthly losses, placing the cryptocurrency at a critical crossroads. While the trend remains bearish, similar conditions in previous cycles have preceded major recoveries. Solana Records An Unprecedented Eight Consecutive Red Months In a recent market analysis, Crypto Patel highlighted a remarkable development in Solana’s price history. SOL has now posted eight consecutive red monthly candles, marking the first time such a streak has occurred since the cryptocurrency was launched. This rare event could provide valuable clues about where the market stands within its broader cycle. Drawing comparisons to the previous bear market, the analyst recalled Solana’s dramatic decline from its 2021 all-time high near $260 to a low of approximately $8. During the downturn, SOL produced 9 monthly red candles in total, but they were not consecutive. Notably, the 9th red candle marked the cycle bottom, after which SOL embarked on a powerful recovery that ultimately pushed the asset to a new all-time high around $295. Source: Chart from Crypto Patel on X Patel pointed out that the current setup shares some similarities with that of the earlier period, but with notable differences. Solana has already fallen from roughly $253 to $67 while recording 8 straight months of losses, with the 9th monthly candle currently taking shape. While cautioning that it is still too early to draw firm conclusions, the analyst suggested that a repeat of the previous cycle’s behavior could signal the emergence of a macro accumulation zone at the $50–$80 range. A repetition of this pattern raises the possibility of SOL surging to higher levels between $500 and $1,000 during the next major market expansion. Ending Diagonal Pattern Hints At A Potential Trend Reversal On the 4-hour timeframe, Elliott Waves Academy has identified that Solana is currently forming an ending diagonal pattern. This structure represents the wave 5 of a bearish impulse, which is nested within a larger-degree impulse sequence, suggesting the asset is nearing the conclusion of its immediate downward trajectory. The recovery outlook will be confirmed once this pattern is finalized, specifically through a clean breakout of a key level and the upper boundary of the pattern. Once established, this confirms the beginning of an upward corrective wave. Based on the length of the preceding wave, the price is ideally projected to target the ratios outlined on the chart as it attempts to stabilize. While the initial targets are clear, the upward movement is likely to extend further depending on evolving market developments. If the price breaks decisively above the wave peak, it would significantly strengthen the bullish scenario, paving the way for a more substantial recovery. Other technical factors bolstering this bullish outlook are a clear five-wave impulse structure representing wave (1)/(A), alongside a strong reversal pattern forming near the diagonal’s lower boundary. Furthermore, the internal corrective movements observed are consistent with the formation of the expected diagonal. Original source text
Analyst: Micron’s financial report indicates short-term fluctuations can be ignored as long as earnings prospects underpin its high valuation.Senior Market Analyst Daniela Hathorn stated, "As Micron Technology's earnings report once again confirms that the AI investment cycle remains solid, the U.S. stock market has recouped some of its losses. This has boosted market sentiment across the entire semiconductor sector—after high-growth individual stocks underperformed earlier—indicating that as long as profit prospects continue to support high valuations, investors are still willing to overlook short-term fluctuations." 3 minutes ago Circle partners with Nomura Securities to enter the Japanese yen foreign exchange settlement service market. Stablecoin issuer Circle plans to collaborate with Nomura Securities to launch instant foreign currency settlement for Japanese corporate clients as early as 2027. The initiative will enable large cross-border transactions to be completed immediately, aiming to boost cross-border investment and trade. This will mark the first entry of a major stablecoin issuer into Japan’s corporate transaction market, allowing companies to convert yen into US dollar-denominated stablecoins for investment and instant transfers. 3 minutes ago Institutions' Preview: Overview of US May Core PCE Price Index Monthly Rate The US May core Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index monthly rate will be released tonight at 20:30 (UTC+8). Driven by another quarter of results that handily exceeded expectations and positive forward guidance, Micron’s stock price surged sharply. These signals indicate that the current memory chip boom cycle is far from over. While the company is ramping up capacity investments (with capital expenditure (CAPEX) projected to hit $10 billion in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, which will bring additional supply), management expects the memory market to remain tight on supply and demand at least through 2027. Against this backdrop, DA Davidson reiterated its "Buy" rating on Micron and raised its price target from $1,500 to $2,000, equivalent to a 20x price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio based on the company’s 2026 calendar year expected earnings per share (EPS). 3 minutes ago Morgan Stanley raises Micron's price target to $1,200, maintains 'Overweight' rating. Morgan Stanley released a report raising Micron Technology (MU.O)’s price target from $1,050 to $1,200, while maintaining an "Overweight" rating. The investment bank lifted its fiscal 2027 earnings per share (EPS) forecast for the chipmaker by roughly 40% to $168, and upgraded its free cash flow (FCF) projection from $104 billion to $140 billion. Aligning with Micron’s management, the bank holds that AI will push DRAM demand to consistently outpace supply significantly after 2027. Micron’s last fiscal quarter results matched this trend, with both its quarterly performance and outlook showing notable upside potential. 3 minutes ago |

Waves, Augur and Ethereum price: Bearish channel persists as optimism hovers | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
Posted: March 29, 2020With the collective cryptocurrency market trading sideways, altcoins are moving helter-skelter. Ethereum, Waves and Augur, three diverse altcoins have moved in different directions, one is is yet to recover, another is trending upwards, while the third is trading flat. Ethereum The leading altcoin in the market saw increasing decoupling from Bitcoin earlier in the year, but now the push-and-pull with the leading cryptocurrency is back. Ether, posting a market cap of $14 .1 billion, is trading with a narrow increasingly downward sloping wedge, formed as a consequence of the infamous March 12 drop, when Bitcoin lost almost half its value. Resistance, for the altcoin, lies quite high at $141, while the press time price was $129. Looking down, the altcoin finds support, closer to its market price at $125.4, which is where the lower bottom of the wedge lies. Bollinger Bands for Ethereum posit an increase in volatility as the bands are moving further apart. Given that in the last two hours the candlesticks have turned red, the average is now intersecting with the price, if it moves above the price, bearish woes lie ahead. Augur Augur, unlike its contemporaries, is trading in an upwards channel, with the price rising since the beginning of the previous week. Owing to the March 12 collapse, Augur had lost almost a third of its value, falling to a low of $7.86. Since then, the upwards channel has pushed the coin as high as $9.86, its press time price. Since hitting the support of $7.64, the altcoin has seen bullish pulls, allowing it to break resistance after resistance, flipping it into support levels. Two such levels can be charted at $8.24 and $9.54, respectively. Despite the fall on 27 March, REP has managed to steer clear of the drop below the latter support, and now is striving to trade within the upward channel. MACD line for REP has moved below 0 and has dipped below the Signal line indicating bearish pressures. With the upward channel’s lower-bound trend line close to the price, the coin will face a struggle going forward. Waves The Waves platform cryptocurrency, has seen a roller coaster ride since the beginning of 2020, and now is right back to where it started. Since breaking $1 and then $1.5 in February and March, the coin went down with the Bitcoin drop, losing almost 40 percent of its value, and is now trading at $0.815. Support lines lie at $0.789 and $0.726, while a short term resistance line is present above at $0.962, with the price firmly in between. Since the March 12 drop, the altcoin has seen a visible, albeit weak, upward channel, which is looking to alter given the dropping price since March 27. RSI for the Waves platform cryptocurrency has been dropping since mid-February, indicating a surging selling pressure, and now is at 40.74 a marginal recovery from 33.9 where it stood on March 14. |

Komodo Review: The Open & Composable Multi-Chain Platform | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
The Komodo platform is many things – a unique blockchain, a coin that pays interest, a decentralized exchange, a development blockchain with many additional features being planned for the future. The Komodo blockchain is a fork of the ZCash blockchain, which itself was forked from the Bitcoin blockchain, making Komodo a descendent of Bitcoin. It includes the zk-snark technology that Zcash was built upon, and adds a delayed proof of work consensus algorithm to make Komodo more robust and secure. The ultimate goal of Komodo is to create an entire ecosystem comprised of diverse partnerships that will send the platform forward into the future. Because it was designed to be used by developers of any level and in any industry it is extremely versatile. In this comprehensive review, I will give you everything that you need to know about the Komodo platform. How Komodo WorksThose doing development on the Komodo platform are not building onto the blockchain, but are instead building their own standalone blockchains. It’s not a fork or sidechain, and the Komodo platform doesn’t act as a parent to the new blockchain. Each project is an independent blockchain that becomes connected to the Komodo ecosystem. This is crucial because the fact that each blockchain is independent means that future development won’t be limited by Komodo in any way. Benefits of the Komodo Platform Komodo was also designed from the ground up as a modular ecosystem. This allows developers to choose which technologies they wish to use in their own projects. Perhaps most importantly, Komodo was developed with security as a top priority. In addition to using the Zcash zk-snark protocols for anonymity and privacy, Komodo uses a delayed proof of work (PoW) protocol to provide Bitcoin level security to even the smallest blockchains and projects. As stated on the Komodo website itself: Komodo’s innovative dPOW (delayed proof of work) provides a security layer that creates backups of your blockchain’s data and notarizes it to Bitcoin’s blockchain, providing even the smallest of blockchains with Bitcoin-level security. In essence, Komodo is using Bitcoin’s hashrate to ensure immutability for the Komodo blockchain. Komodo PrivacyKomodo was created as a form of the Zcash blockchain, using their technology known as ‘Zero Knowledge Proofs’. This technology allows each transaction on the blockchain to be 100% anonymous or as transparent as necessary given the requirements of each situation. Anonymous transactions are important to many users because they hide the amount, sender and recipient of the transaction, but still make it possible for miners to verify that the transaction is valid and without any double-spending. Alternatively transactions can be left transparent, in which case information shows just as it would for a Bitcoin transaction. Anonymous transactions help protect user privacy, but they provide a more important function, and that is to preserve fungibility, which is a basic requirement for any currency. Komodo SecurityAfter including privacy by forming from Zcash, the developers of Komodo provided for enhanced security of the blockchain in a unique manner. They created a proof of work token, but modified it to be Delayed Proof of Work, allowing it to recycle Bitcoin’s hashrate to ensure immutability of Komodo’s blockchain. Komodo does this by using 64 “notary nodes” that work to notarize blocks in the Bitcoin blockchain. This provides protection for Komodo because an attacker would have to alter both the block in the Komodo blockchain and the block in the Bitcoin blockchain. Steps in the Komodo Delayed Proof of Work As long as the Bitcoin blockchain is secure, so too will Komodo – and all the other blockchains built using Komodo – remain secure. This mechanism can now be used by any cryptocurrency that wishes enhanced security. By using Komodo the new blockchains are connected to Bitcoin, benefiting from the security of the Bitcoin blockchain, while also saving on transaction costs. Komodo TeamThe Komodo project is based on anonymity, so it comes as no surprise that many of the Komodo team members initially chose not to reveal their identity. The founder and one core developer of Komodo went by the moniker JL777, but is now known as James ‘JL777’ Lee. The CTO of the project was known as CA333, but we now know him as Kadan Stadelmann. This increased transparency has come about as Komodo grows in size and scope and is attracting more investors. The full team is now nearly 30 members spanning leadership, development, marketing, and community development. And speaking of community, there are numerous contributors from the community, both developers and community outreach ambassadors. Some of the Komodo Team Members Currently, the general manager of Komodo is Ben Fairbanks, who is also the founder and CEO of RedFOX Labs, an incubator that is helping to launch Komodo based companies in emerging markets. Prior to joining Komodo and launching RedFOX, he served as COO at the ride-hailing service Grab. He brings extensive business and marketing experience to the project. The CTO of the Komodo project, almost since the very beginning, has been Kaden Stadelmann. He also serves as CTO of RedFOX Labs. He previously worked as an IT security analyst and software developer, and founded the company satoshihack back in 2011, making him a pioneer in the blockchain space. Core development is led by founder James Lee, and he is joined by Adam Bullock and Mihailo Milenkovic as well as roughly a dozen full-time developers and another dozen community volunteer developers. KMD CoinThe Komodo native currency (KMD) was launched in an ICO in February 2017 at a price of $0.10. Since then the price of the coin has risen and fallen with the fortunes of the project and the markets. As of mid-March 2018 it was trading at $2.73 and was ranked the #48 coin by market cap on Coinmarketcap.com. Even though 2018 saw many coins losing 90% or more of their value, KMD held up fairly well in the face of the bear market. It rallied in April, topping $4 and slowly sank from that level, finally dipping under $1 in November 2018 and hitting a low of $0.492329 on November 25, 2018. It slowly recovered from that low and by February 2019 had doubled in price as it traded back above $1. It remained above $1 for nearly all of 2019, and nearly hit $2 in July 2019, but the price has recently dropped and as of August 9, 2019 stands at $0.863399. KMD Price Performance. Image via CMC The fundamentals for the coin continue to look solid thanks to the 5% annual interest rate paid to KMD holders, and the current low price is more a reflection of broad-based weakness in the cryptocurrency markets. There are currently 115,389,114KMD in circulation, with a planned total supply of 200 million coins, which is projected to be reached in 2031. Until that time, KMD holders will continue to receive a 5.1% annual interest payment (called Active User Rewards) on their KMD holdings, so long as they keep more than 10 KMD in a wallet where they control the private keys. The KMD had an all-time high of $12.54 on December 21, 2017. Buying & Storing KMDKMD can be purchased on a good number of exchanges, with the largest volume on CoinBene. There is also good volume at Binance, CoinEx, and HitBTC. Other good choices for buying KMD include CoinEx and Bittrex. Given that there is strong volume across a number of exhanges, it bodes well for the liquidity of KMD. Improved liquidity means that you can execute large block orders on these books without much slippage in the price of the coin. Register at Binance and Buy KMD Coin In order to earn the 5.1% annual interest users must hold their KMD in a supported wallet. The top two based on the Komodo website are the Verus Agama wallet, which is a multi-coin wallet from the Verus Coin project, or the native Komodo OceanQT wallet. Other options include the Guarda Wallet and the ZelCore wallet. Development & RoadmapWhen it comes to determining the amount of work that has been done by a project, there are a number of metrics one can look at. However, one of the most effective that I have found is to take a look at the coding activity in the project's public repositories. Therefore, I decided to jump into the Komodo GitHub to get a better sense of what the developers have been pushing over the past year. Below is the total code commits to two of their development repos. Commits for Select Repos over past 12 months As you can see from the above, the team has been quite active pushing code to their core repository over the past year. It is also worth pointing out that there are a further 56 other repositories with varying degrees of activity. This is more development activity than we have seen at most other projects. In fact, if we were to compare Komodo to its peers, it is ranked 30th in terms of commits and 12th for overall coding activity on coincodecap. This perhaps makes sense when viewed in the context of the numerous projects being built on the Komodo platform (more below). In terms of the upcoming roadmap, the two most important remaining milestones for 2019 are the release of the developer portal as well as the GUI for the fully mobile-ready wallet/DEX hybrid. If you want to keep up to date with development on the project then I suggest you jump into their discord and meet the team. They also encourage community developer contributions to the core. Komodo Platform ProjectsThere are a number of standalone projects that were developed for the Komodo platform. Those that are farthest along in development and have been released as at least betas include Decentralized ICOs, BarterDEX along with a built-in “tumbler” service called Jumblr. However, as of July 2019 Komodo has launched its Antara Framework, which is the basis for nearly all current services on Komodo. Decentralized Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs)The Decentralised ICO concept was meant to be an exciting option for startups as it would mean that they could launch their process much easier. It would also have given them access to the Komodo technology, marketing channels, and consultants. However, given the regulatory pressure that has been placed on ICOs recently, this initiative seems to have fallen by the wayside. Of course, the lackluster performance of most recent ICOs has not helped the process. The Komodo team had plans to launch a number of Decentralised ICOs. In May of last year they planned to release their first with the BlocNation dICO. However, this did not seem to materialize and the Blocnation project seems to have gone dead (with the site down). The dICO that never materialized... Image via Komodo Blog Despite this though, Komodo will accept pre-existing blockchain projects on other platforms that would like to migrate to Komodo to receive your own fully customizable, high performing independent blockchain. As of August 2019 there are a number of projects that have launched on Komodo. JumblrJumblr is a cryptocurrency anonymizer developed by Komodo which is decentralized and open-source. It can be used to increase privacy when using the Komodo platform. Anonymizing funds is actually a fairly straightforward and simple practice. The Jumblr will take KMD tokens from a non-private address and send them through a number of zk-snark addresses. Once these untraceable addresses have processed the coins they are sent to a new address where they are completely anonymous. The fee for using the Jumblr service is 0.3%, which is payable in KMD tokens. BarterDEX Rebranded to AtomicDEXBarterDEX was previously called EasyDEX but was rebranded in July 2017. It is a decentralized exchange utilizing atomic swaps, and more recently etomic swaps, which bridge the gap between Bitcoin and Ethereum based blockchains. The use of atomic swaps and etomic swaps lower counterparty risk, transaction fees and speeds the transfer of assets. BarterDEX can support trading of any cryptocurrency, and will also support fiat in the future. Already the decentralized exchange is capable of performing swaps for 95% of the cryptocurrencies in existence. BarterDEX also solves the liquidity problem encountered by most decentralized exchanges by producing Liquidity Nodes that stabilizes prices by buying and selling assets in the order books. Screenshots from the AtomicDex App. Image via atomicdex.io In July 2019 the BarterDEX platform got another upgrade and rebrand and has been re-launched as AtomicDEX in a closed public beta. AtomicDEX provides a secure, reliable, and completely decentralized method for trading digital assets. Trades no longer have to pass through an intermediary but are done from wallet to wallet. AtomicDEX will act as a multi-currency wallet and as a fully decentralized trading platform. At its beta release, AtomicDEX has support for 13 different coins, but can technically support 99% of all existing cryptocurrencies. New coins will be added with each update to the DEX. The Antara FrameworkThe Antara Framework was launched on the Komodo mainnet on July 15, 2019, completing a rebrand that stretched out for nearly a full year. This relaunch has included several new developments, such as the beta release of the Antara Smart Chain Composer, which allows anyone to launch their own SmartChain blockchain in just minutes, including full seed nodes and mining nodes. The Antara Framework is an adaptable framework for simple, end-to-end blockchain development. Antara makes it easier than ever before to launch a chain, activate modules, and start building blockchain-based applications. Antara has maintained the independence and privacy of building with Komodo. Each independent chain has its own consensus rules, hashing algorithm, decentralized network, and coin. Blockchains launched with Komodo’s technology never depend on the KMD chain, network, or platform. Antara Network Recently Going live. Image via Komodo Blog It’s an open ecosystem so there is no vendor lock-in. Creating a chain from the CLI is permissionless and free. The Komodo team is not informed when a chain is created so there's no way to track a chain after launch. The framework also comes with built-in modules, making development speedy and easier. This allows developers to natively support any software, dApp or blockchain-based games. With 18 different customizable Smart Chain parameters, any blockchain can be built to serve any business need. The Antara Integration Layer also offers several white label products such as a multi-coin wallet, block explorers, full seed nodes, a branded DEX, a crowdfunding app and integration with SPV Electrum servers. CompetitionBecause Komodo is involved in so many aspects of the blockchain it is facing competition from many different directions. Decentralized exchanges are becoming increasingly popular, and the AtomicDEX exchange is in competition with BitShares, EtherDelta, and Waves, as well as many other smaller players. As a privacy coin, KMD competes against the larger Dash and Monero coins, and of course against the Zcash that it was forked from. Komodo faces stiff competition from Ethereum as it is the leader in the ICO and smart contracts field, but other established blockchains such as NEO, NXT and Waves are also competing for ICO traction. And now we also have initial exchange offerings (IEOs) from the likes of Binance and other exchanges growing in popularity. Smart contracts have also found their way into most projects. One strength for Komodo is that it is the first to offer a fully decentralized exchange with atomic swap capabilities. ConclusionThe Komodo project is an extensive and ambitious large-scale project that aims to solve many issues that centralization of cryptocurrencies and blockchains face. In addition to being its own blockchain and coin, it is also tackling the decentralized exchange, atomic swap, and decentralized ICO space. It includes options for anonymity and has a unique proof of work consensus algorithm that promises enhanced security, even for new blockchains based off Komodo. Needless to say, that’s a lot to bite off, but the Komodo team has shown itself to be up to the challenge time and again. In a world where deadlines are often missed by months, the Komodo team has not only delivered but also delivered early and with few bugs. The team also takes user feedback into consideration and has been known to pivot quickly based on the needs of the community. If the Komodo team continues to deliver it could make a long-term lasting impact on the cryptocurrency space, but it is too early to tell if this will be the case. In any event, it is certainly a project worth watching. In the roughly 18 months since this review was first prepared the Komodo team has continued to deliver an exceptional product, and with the July 2019 release of the Antara Framework, it has advanced to the first composable SmartChain platform in the industry. This first-mover advantage keeps Komodo on the cutting edge of blockchain development. Disclaimer: These are the writer's opinions and should not be considered investment advice. Cryptocurrency Market Cap Loses $6 Billion As Major Altcoins Paint Red: Tuesday Market Watch | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
The cryptocurrency market doesn’t appear to be in the best of shape. Most cryptocurrencies are losing large chunks of value in the last 24 hours, and the total market capitalization has dropped with $6 billion in a few days to the current level of $187 B.The second-largest cryptocurrency, Ethereum, is among the worst-performing altcoins. ETH lost over 7% during the last day, and it’s currently trading at $132. Its latest hard fork, called Istanbul, was released a week ago, but it doesn’t seem to have a positive effect on the price as of yet. Ripple’s price has been struggling for months, and now it went as low as $0,19 on Bitfinex, before bouncing back to the current level of $0,196. It broke below the strong support level at $0,215 earlier this week, and if it closes below $0,20, the next one will be at $0,185. Last time XRP was under $0,20 was back in 2017 before it skyrocketed to its all-time high of $3,80. The situation with other major altcoins is not any different. Litecoin is below $40, EOS has lost almost 8%, and it’s at $2,34, and Binance Coin has decreased to $13,08, which is a 10% decline since yesterday. Somewhat unsurprisingly, only one digital asset is green in the top 10, and that’s Tezos. XTZ continues its positive trend as of late surging with 4.5% against BTC and 2% against the dollar. CryptoMarket. Source: Coin360 As far Bitcoin goes, it’s down with 2.7% to $6,870 on Bitstamp but also tested the $6,800 support level, which managed to keep its stance. If it keeps going down, $6,500 is the next level, and if it reverses, the first resistance is $7,000. With so much blood in the altcoin market, BTC’s dominance is actually increasing, and it has reached 67.2%, after being at 66.4% three days ago. Total Market Capitalization: $187 B | Bitcoin Market Capitalization: $125 B | Bitcoin Dominance: 67.2% Major Crypto Headlines The Next Crypto Trend for Exchanges? Coinbase Is Now The Largest Tezos Validator. Tezos is quickly rising as a favorite within the community, and the largest U.S.-based crypto exchange, Coinbase, has become the largest validator for XTZ. People began wondering if this could be the newest trend and if users will be able to choose a specific baker. The number of BTC long positions placed on Bitfinex has reached its all-time high, and it could be related to the following drop. Generally, too many open longs mean that the price of the asset is set to decrease. Bitmain’s Miner Manufacturing Subsidiary Had $680K In Assets Frozen In a Contract Dispute. One of the largest mining companies, Bitmain, had assets worth $676,000 frozen as ordered by a district court in Shenzhen, China. The decision came after another company, Dongguan Yongjiang Electronics, filed an application for asset protection to dispute a contract with the defendant. Significant Daily Gainers and Losers Waves (26%) WAVES rises above all other cryptocurrencies in the top 100 with its increase with 26% against the dollar, and it’s currently trading at $0.89. Moreover, it skyrockets with almost 30% against Bitcoin to 12840 SAT. The company recently published an updated explaining how Waves staking works, and it also conducted a Twitter giveaway. Fetch.ai (12.9%) FET is next on the list, with almost 13% gain against USD. The rise to $0.05 also means that the market cap has reached $34,5 M, and with so many altcoins losing value, FET has broken into the top 100. It surges with 16% against Bitcoin to 765 SAT. The company is set to launch its mainnet today and apparently has attracted severe attention to itself. Aurora (-27.40%) While red is the predominant color, AOA has taken the lead with its loss of over 27% in the last 24 hours. The current price is $0,0048, and the market cap has plunged to $31,7 M, which actually threatens Aurora’s place in the top 100. Oddly enough, the drop comes a day after the popular crypto exchange, Bithumb, announced a 40,000,000 AOA airdrop event to take place this week. Tags: |

Tron, Waves move sidways as Hedge Trade moves in reverse | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
Posted: April 2, 2020Most altcoins have managed to stop themselves from falling in a slippery market. However, there remain quite a few who continue to be stuck in a cycle of sideways movement, largely due to lingering selling pressure. Tron [TRX] Tron [TRX] has been pushed down to the 16th position on CoinMarketCap, with its market cap recorded to be $771.78 million. The 24-hour trading volume of the coin was reported to be $813.27 million. The TradingView chart for Tron highlighted that the coin had slipped to new lows as its value stood at $0.0115, while the resistance was marked at $0.0124 and the support was at $0.0092. According to the Bollinger Bands, the volatility in the TRX market fell but, the moving average that was under the candlesticks indicated a bearish trend. The market might not be very positive, but the ecosystem of Tron may be eager to embrace its own DeFi ecosystem dubbed ‘Djed.’ which was announced recently by its CEO Justin Sun. Waves Waves, ranked 49th on the CMC list, gained by 1.47% over the last 24-hours. The coin with a market cap of $97.32 million was reporting a 24-hour trading volume of $84.29 million. Despite reflecting a solid effort, the coin has been recording a loss of 1.95% since the beginning of the year. At press time, the value of Waves token was around $0.9754 and the Relative Strength Index showcased the coin had reached a point of equilibrium, one wherein the buyers and sellers were equal. HedgeTrade [HEDG] HedgeTrade’s market cap was reported to be $483.78 million, pushing it above various other altcoins to the 22nd position on CoinMarketCap. The coin was reporting a 4.20% growth within the past 24-hours and was being traded at $1.68. Its 24-hour volume was marked at $572.31k, substantially less than other coins. The value of the coin was close to its immediate resistance at $1.82, but the support lay a little low at $1.25. With green candles forming on the daily charts, the arrival of bulls was clear, and as per the MACD indicator, the trend had indeed switched from a bearish one to a bullish one. |

Just-In: Binance Delisting & Ceasing Support of These Crypto, Prices Tank 25% | CoinGecko News

The world’s largest crypto exchange Binance on Monday announced delisting and ceasing trading of these four cryptocurrencies from Binance spot and margin. Waves (WAVES), OMG Network (OMG), NEM (XEM), and Wrapped NXM (WNXM) delisting announcement has caused prices to dip massively.Derivatives trading data report major trades as traders and investors move or readjust their holdings in WAVES, OMG, XEM, and WNXM, causing open interests to pump over 100% in the last 24 hours. Binance Announces Delisting of WAVES, OMG, XEM, NXM In an official announcement on June 3, Binance said it has decided to delist and cease trading on all spot and margin trading pairs of Waves (WAVES), OMG Network (OMG), NEM (XEM), and Wrapped NXM (WNXM). Users will not be able to trade these cryptocurrencies after 03:00 UTC on June 17. Exchange claims these crypto have failed to meet the standard and industry requirements in reviews done periodically by the crypto exchange. “When a coin or token no longer meets these standards or the industry landscape changes, we conduct a more in-depth review and potentially delist it. Our priority is to ensure the best services and protections for our users while continuing to adapt to evolving market dynamics,” stated Binance. The last date for withdrawing these tokens is September 17 as the exchange completely ends support for these crypto. Binance delisting these tokens from Binance Simple Earn, Binance Auto-Invest, and Binance Loans weeks before the delisting date. Binance’s Delisting Factors For All Crypto Crypto exchange Binance reviews listed crypto for maintaining a high level of standard and industry requirements. These are in line with listing requirements of the exchange. These include a team’s commitment to project, development activity, trading volume and liquidity, stability and safety of network, smart contract stability, level of public communication, response to exchange’s periodic due diligence requests, unethical/fraudulent conduct or negligence, regulatory requirements, and contribution to crypto ecosystem. Prices Tumbled After Announcement WAVES price tumbled over 25% after Binance’s announcement, with the price currently trading at $1.77. The trading volume has jumped over 900% as traders and investors make quick readjustments to their holdings. Meanwhile, OMG, WNXM, XEM prices have dropped over 25%, 3%, and 29%, respectively, in the last few hours. Interestingly, the announcement caused massive futures trading as WAVES, OMG, XEM futures open interest jumped over 100%. The move is likely triggered by a change in margins and readjustments to trade. Binance to Delist Four Cryptos, Citing Lack of Industry Standards | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
Sujha SundararajanAuthor Sujha Sundararajan Part of the Team Since Jun 2023 About Author Sujha has been recognised as 🟣 Women In Crypto 2024 🟣 by BeInCrypto for her leadership in crypto journalism. Has Also Written Last updated: June 3, 2024 Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, is ceasing support and trading on all spot and margin pairs for four altcoins. Starting June 17, Binance announced that it will delist altcoins including Waves (WAVES), OmiseGo (OMG), Wrapped NXM (WNXM) and NEM (XEM). The exchange noted that these altcoin removals come in line with its periodical review of each digital asset. This ensures whether tokens continue to meet a high level of standard and industry requirements, Binance’s blog post read. “When a coin or token no longer meets these standards or the industry landscape changes, we conduct a more in-depth review and potentially delist it. Our priority is to ensure best services and protections for our users while continuing to adapt to evolving market dynamics.” Some of the factors evaluated during the periodical review includes token’s trading volume and liquidity, network stability and safety. The exchange also evaluates whether the token shows evidence of any fraudulent conduct, regulatory requirements, among others. Further, Binance said that deposits of these altcoins will not be credited to user accounts after June 18. Additionally, it will not support withdrawals of these four tokens after September 18, 2024. Following the delisting, WAVES token saw a sharp plunge of 25%, with the token currently trading at $1.67. The altcoin’s trading volume has jumped over 1340% as investors readjusted their holdings. Binance Halts Cash Payments for P2P Trades in India In the meantime, Binance’s India arm has stopped cash payment option for peer-to-peer trades. The announcement to halt cash payments has affected local traders, who used Indian rupee (INR) option to avoid tax regulations. Purushottam Anand, founder of Bengaluru-based blockchain firm Crypto Legal told Economic Times that P2P cash transactions expose parties to serious physical and financial risk, irrespective of whether any exchange is involved or not. “There have been cases where traders have been physically assaulted and forced to transfer their virtual assets or hand over cash during physical meetings,” he added. |

Solana Wave 4 In Progress: Relief Bounce Or Setup For A Fresh Decline? | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
After a steep selloff that reinforced bearish momentum, Solana appears to be entering a period of consolidation as Wave 4 unfolds. Such corrective phases often offer short-term relief and can also serve as a launching pad for the next leg of a downtrend. As the market searches for direction, the key question remains whether buyers can build a meaningful recovery or if another decline is waiting around the corner.Wave 4 Correction Takes Shape Amid Cooling Selling Pressure Analyzing Solana’s wave outlook on the 30-minute time frame, Elliott Waves Academy noted that the pair may be gearing up for another significant downside move following a decisive breakdown from its price channel. The recent decline has reinforced bearish sentiment, with price action signaling that sellers remain firmly in control of the broader trend. According to the analysis, Solana has already reached the 261.80% Fibonacci extension level, suggesting that wave 3 has completed. As the strongest and most impulsive phase of the trend, wave 3 has played a key role in driving the current bearish structure lower. Source: Chart from Elliott Waves Academy on X With wave 3 finished, the market appears to have entered wave 4, a corrective phase that typically follows an extended decline. Given the aggressive nature of wave 2 earlier in the sequence, wave four is expected to be more subdued, likely developing through sideways consolidation or a corrective triangle formation as the market temporarily stabilizes. Once the corrective structure is complete, attention will shift to the next bearish leg. A breakdown below the key support level of the correction could trigger wave five, opening the door for a decline toward the $81.33–$78.69 zone, representing the next downside targets for bearish traders. Three Months Of Consolidation Unleash A Powerful Breakout For Solana Crypto analyst Daan Crypto Trades pointed out that Solana delivered the expected 20–30% move after finally breaking out of its multi-month trading range. Such explosive price action is often seen after extended periods of consolidation, where volatility remains compressed before a decisive breakout triggers a strong directional move. The analyst emphasized the importance of waiting for confirmation. Once price escapes a range that has held for more than three months, momentum tends to accelerate rapidly, creating sizable opportunities for traders who react to the confirmed move rather than trying to predict it. Solana is now retesting a crucial weekly support level. According to Daan, this area represents one of the last major support zones on the chart, making it a critical battleground for bulls. Holding this level and reclaiming key horizontal resistance levels above could help restore bullish momentum and strengthen the case for another upward leg. Binance to Convert These 10 Delisted Tokens to USDC: Here’s What to Know | CoinGecko News
|
Original source text
In a blog post on Tuesday, Binance Exchange, the largest crypto trading platform by volume, announced the automatic conversion of several delisted tokens to USDC.This action will be executed based on the average token to USDC exchange rate within the conversion period. What Binance Exchange Users Need To KnowAfter delisting 10 tokens from its catalog, Binance said in a follow-up message that it would convert them to USDC automatically, enabling holders to access their funds. After the conversion happens, the exchange will credit the stablecoin equivalent of the affected tokens to users’ wallets by April 28, 2025. The tokens include: Vai (VAI) Tornado Cash (TORN) OMG Network (OMG) Waves (WAVES) NEM (XEM) BarnBridge (BOND) Dock (DOCK) Mdex (MDX) Polkastarter (POLS) Pundi X PURSE (PURSE) Read more: Binance Review 2024: Is It the Right Crypto Exchange for You? Holders of these tokens should adjust their trading strategies accordingly to prepare for the upcoming changes. Failure to do so by October 28 would see them automatically converted to USDC, effectively phasing out the affected tokens from the exchange. “During the Conversion Period [between October 29, 2024 and April 28, 2025], users will not be able to view the above tokens in their Binance wallets,” Binance articulated. In this regard, it is worth mentioning that the history of Binance’s tokens delisting often inspires volatility. For instance, the exchange delisted six altcoins around mid-August, causing double-digit price drops for PowerPool (CVP) and Ellipsis (EPX). These tokens also featured among the delisted assets. However, Binance is not only removing several tokens but also adding new ones to its platform. One of the notable additions is Scroll (SCR), a zkRollup scaling solution for Ethereum. As per the announcement, SCR will be listed on October 11, with pre-market trading for the SCR/USDT pair set to open. This move supports Ethereum’s scalability by enabling faster, more efficient transactions while maintaining security and decentralization. “Binance is excited to announce the 60th project on Binance Launchpool – Scroll (SCR), a Bytecode-level compatible zkEVM Rollup,” an excerpt in Binance’s announcement read. Read more: What are Crypto Airdrops? With this listing notice, Binance becomes the first platform to list Scroll’s powering token. The exchange will also airdrop 55,000,000 SCR, representing 5.5% of the total supply. Airdrop farming will start on Wednesday, October 9. The participants must lock their BNB and FDUSD to receive the SCR tokens. |

Rubio: US and Iran to continue technical consultations at the end of this monthMultiple foreign media outlets reported on the 24th that US Secretary of State Rubio said technical teams from the United States and Iran will hold further talks in Switzerland by the end of June. US Treasury Secretary Bessent told CNBC in an interview that he hopes the Federal Reserve will remain "open-minded" about the inflation pattern after the reversal of Iran-related energy price hikes. Bessent noted that the U.S. could enter an economic environment marked by high GDP growth without a corresponding rise in traditional inflation. He cited that in the 1990s, Alan Greenspan foresaw that office modernization and the internet could drive non-inflationary growth, and allowed the economy to keep expanding. Bessent believes the U.S. has a strong chance of seeing a similar scenario again. When asked whether the Fed still needs to worry about potential inflation and whether interest rate cuts are possible this year or next, Bessent declined to comment. However, he argued that it is necessary to stay open-minded about the price or inflation impacts from the Iran conflict, and monitor inflation performance after those effects subside. Bessent also said an open mind is needed, as the AI boom could boost productivity and deliver disinflationary effects, helping inflation return to the Fed’s target level. He added that he believes Kevin Warsh will choose the optimal path that meets both the Fed’s inflation and growth mandates. Bessent also noted that Warsh previously took a hawkish stance on inflation. 5 hours ago US stocks' intraday storage sector sees broad declines, with Western Digital and Seagate Technology both falling over 4%.
