The first batch of 99.5% NdPr material was processed from approximately two tonnes of Vietnamese mixed rare earth oxide ("MREO") derived from ionic clay source material and sent to Western NdFeB magnet makers for product testing in Q2-2026;
The second batch of 99.5% NdPr material was produced in early August 2026 and was processed from approximately five tonnes of mixed rare earth carbonate ("MREC") derived from North American bastnaesite source material.
Ucore continues to demonstrate the versatility and adaptiveness of its RapidSX™ technology platform in the simulated commercial environment of its Kingston CDF. NdPr is a fundamental product of most rare earth processing facilities. It will be a featured product along with samarium (Sm), gadolinium (Gd), terbium (Tb), dysprosium (Dy), and eventually yttrium (Y) within the developing Louisiana Strategic Metals complex ("SMC"). On a tonnes-of-processing scale, the Company has now demonstrated the production of 99.5% NdPr material from multiple sources with widely varying rare earth element ("REE") compositions.
The 7,400+ hours of simulated commercial runtime and corresponding commercial scale-up work at the CDF have demonstrated the potential of the computerized and patent-pending RapidSX™ technology platform for full-scale REE processing. The chemistry of RapidSXTM is the same as that of conventional solvent extraction. As a result, as demonstrated in over 16,000 comparative test results, RapidSXTM typically yields recovery rates and target product purities equal to, or better than conventional solvent extraction; the only difference being faster processing throughput and a smaller equipment footprint for the same processing capacity. Together, these attributes have the potential to create multiple opportunities for commercial savings and efficiencies, which Ucore is incorporating into its developing Louisiana SMC.

This contactor equipment scale-up program ("RSX-1") builds on the 7,400+ hours of simulated commercial runtime on the Company's Demonstration Plant ("Demo Plant") at its RapidSX™ Commercialization and Demonstration Facility ("CDF") in Kingston, Ontario.

The contactor scale-up and optimization program is partially funded by Ucore's US Department of War US$18.4 million Other Transaction Agreement ("OTA") Modification (US$20.4 million total) to facilitate the technology transfer from demonstration-scale in Kingston to full commercial-scale deployment in Louisiana. The completion of this optimized RapidSX™ equipment testing marks a significant milestone in Ucore's pathway to build its first commercial RapidSX™ rare earth separation machine, 'Enhanced Machine A', capable of processing 600 tonnes per year ("tpa") of total rare earth oxides ("TREO").
The Objectives of the RSX-1 scale-up and optimization program were to:
verify the commercial scale-up of the 4" diameter Demo Plant contactors and matched phase separators, and associated piping, pumps, sensors, instruments, chemistry, and operational parameters up to the selected maximum 24" diameter contactor size design for the SMC;
confirm that the RapidSX™ technology performs as expected and performs equal to or better than conventional solvent extraction ("CSX") in all contactor sizes expected to be deployed at the Company's Louisiana SMC, under the most conservative chemistry assumptions;
The Results from the RSX-1 scale-up and optimization program were:
Ucore developed an optimized operating profile for intermediate-size contactors based on over 400 completed tests with 1-1/4", 2", 4", 12", and 24" contactor diameters and configurations of organic/aqueous ("O/A") ratios and hydraulic flux rates;
Ucore designed, compared, optimized, and validated a 24" diameter contactor assembly against a four (4) by 12" diameter contactor assembly (i.e., the same total area, working in parallel) to take advantage of RapidSX™'s inherent equipment flexibility and modularity for varying hydraulic flux rates. This was also done for other equivalent area contactor configurations.
Ucore selected the specific operational configurations and equipment for Enhanced Machine A and other planned SMC machines.
The Follow-On Enhanced Machine A activities from the RSX-1 scale-up and optimization program are:
all testing information now exists to incorporate the results into detailed design engineering
as part of the final Factory Acceptance Testing ("FAT") program, Ucore will test the now optimized Enhanced Machine A individual contactor assembly configuration (i.e., a two (2) x 8" diameter RapidSX™ contactor assembly) with the specifically selected components and operational parameters as part of RSX-2 & RSX-3, planned for the remainder of August and September of 2026
The extensive 12-month RSX-1 scale-up, optimization, and verification campaign was designed to evaluate mixing, phase continuity, hydraulic stability, pressure behavior, phase disengagement, and visible entrainment over a wide range of contactor diameters and operational profiles. Mass-transfer performance was compared with the CSX baseline, which represented the equilibrium reference and target performance level for determining whether the RapidSX™ contactors achieved the required extent of mass transfer - resulting in final contactor assembly equipment selections and optimized operating parameters for the Louisiana SMC.

The Dy qualification sample material represents a significant milestone in Ucore's strategy to connect its planned Louisiana Strategic Metals Complex's ("SMC") rare earth separation outputs directly with downstream magnet, metal, alloy, and advanced materials supply chains. Dy oxide is a critical heavy rare earth element ("REE") material used in high-performance electronics and rare earth permanent magnets, particularly where magnets must retain performance, coercivity, and stability at elevated operating temperatures. Heavy Rare Earths: The Critical Gap in Western Magnet Independence
Ucore believes that the Western rare earth supply chain challenge is defined by the ability to reliably separate, refine, qualify, and deliver the individual rare earth oxides required by downstream manufacturers.
This challenge is especially acute for heavy rare earths. NdPr provides the primary magnetic foundation for NdFeB permanent magnets, while Dy and Tb are used in smaller quantities but are essential for many high-temperature and high-performance magnet applications. Without qualified sources of Dy and Tb oxide outside of China, Western and Western-allied magnet producers remain exposed to supply concentration risk even when light rare earth supply and magnet manufacturing capacity are being expanded.

The evaluation work by major downstream prospective customers focuses on confirming that Ucore's Dy oxide meets the technical, quality, consistency, traceability, and compliance requirements for use in their manufacturing supply chains.
This qualification process is a key step toward elevating strategic relationships currently under discussion or toward forming the framework for structured commercial arrangements. It allows downstream manufacturers and advanced materials customers to evaluate whether Ucore's separated heavy rare earth oxide products meet their internal manufacturing and procurement specifications before finalizing larger-volume supply commitments.

The Dy oxide qualification sample material was produced at Ucore's CDF technology center. As noted above, work at the CDF is integral to Ucore's commercial development plans and to understanding and exploiting solvent extraction chemistry. The noted Dy oxide sample material started with approximately 2 tonnes of mixed rare earth oxide ("MREO") derived from a third-party Western ionic clay source and was first processed through the Company's 52-stage RapidSX™ Demonstration Plant ("Demo Plant") through a multi-step separation campaign and then through a complementary solvent extraction circuit to provide additional polishing capacity through more available stages. As Ucore announced on May 28, 2026, at the Louisiana SMC the Company's initial Machine A (the first component within Production Line 1) will alone consist of ≈118 RapidSX™ stages.
Strategic Alignment with the Louisiana SMC and Allied REE Supply Chains
Ucore has previously announced strategic relationships with industry participants working to expand Western and allied rare earth supply chains. These relationships are intended to position Ucore as a midstream supplier of separated rare earth oxides to strategically important downstream manufacturers in Europe, Japan, North America, South Korea, and other allied markets.
On June 15, 2026, Ucore announced a strategic cooperation framework with Sumitomo Corporation of Americas to support the development of a diversified rare earth supply chain across North America and allied markets. The NdPr oxide qualification samples were produced as part of Ucore's ongoing demonstration and commercialization work. During this work, the Company's 52-stage RapidSX™ Demonstration Plant at its Commercialization and Demonstration Facility ("CDF") in Kingston, Ontario, processed a heavy mixed rare earth oxide ("MREO") feedstock derived from an ionic clay source and produced 99.5%+ NdPr chloride. Ucore subsequently converted a portion of this chloride solution into 99.5%+ NdPr oxide.
