Trump strongly pushes for data center construction: Don’t kill the goose that lays the golden eggs
U.S. President Trump posted on social media that the sole reason communities across the country are reluctant to build data centers is their desire to fall behind and remain poor. If they want to achieve success, get wealthy, see substantial tax cuts, and have abundant jobs, then let data take charge of everything. The good news is that many other regions warmly welcome data centers. If we kill this goose that lays golden eggs, we will bear full responsibility.

Coinbase launches new matching engine for Deribit, capable of processing over 100,000 orders per second.
Coinbase announced the phased deployment of a new-generation high-performance matching engine on Deribit. Built on dedicated infrastructure, the engine can process over 100,000 orders per second with a matching latency of less than 1 millisecond, designed to enhance execution speed, scalability, and liquidity performance for institutional derivatives trading. This upgrade also integrates Deribit into the same core execution infrastructure as Coinbase International Exchange. Coinbase noted that the new engine adds a built-in "speed bump" mechanism to select trading products, which briefly delays active orders to give liquidity providers more response time in fast, volatile markets, and is expected to help market makers offer tighter bid-ask spreads and deeper order books. The company added that all its perpetual contracts will also migrate to this matching engine later this year. Once the migration is complete, options and perpetual contracts will share a more unified trading infrastructure, enabling a more consistent trading experience, broader product coverage, and deeper liquidity.

Analysis: Selling pressure from listed mining firms is an overlooked factor weighing on Bitcoin’s price; these companies have sold $1.78 billion worth of BTC this year.
Bitcoin has fallen roughly 27% year-to-date, with its price retreating below $64,000. In addition to over $4.4 billion in net outflows from U.S. spot crypto ETFs, sales by long-dormant holders and digital asset treasury firms, listed Bitcoin miners have emerged as a less-discussed supply source in the market. According to Blockware Intelligence data, listed miners held a combined ~127,000 BTC at the start of the year, a figure that has since dropped to 99,000 BTC. This translates to roughly 28,000 BTC sold year-to-date, worth around $1.78 billion at current prices. Blockware Solutions’ research team noted: “The sales by listed miners since the start of the year are an underdiscussed factor weighing on Bitcoin’s weak price performance in 2026.” Miners’ profitability is also under pressure, with the average cost to mine one BTC standing at roughly $74,300. A growing number of miners are shifting to AI operations, leveraging the high-voltage power resources they have secured to support this transition. Meanwhile, Bitcoin’s mining difficulty has dropped roughly 18% from its November peak, with the decline in hash rate marking one of the longest such stretches on record. Blockware stated that competition has eased following the exit of large miners, and active operators are now earning roughly 18% more BTC than they were 10 months ago, leading to improved mining economics.

The cryptocurrency market is continuing its sideways trading dynamic. After falling just above the $10,000 mark, Bitcoin has staged a small recovery, rolling back its weekend losses, currently staying at $10,300. See below for our full Bitcoin price analysis.

Ontology rises on MovieBloc release The weekend brought good news to the Ontology community, as the release of a public beta for MovieBloc was announced. MovieBloc is an Ontology-based movie and content distribution platform – a kind of decentralized Netflix.
The price had a strong response to the event, peaking at $0.88, a 17% increase. It has since fallen to about $0.79, placing the total gain at little over 5%.

Nathan on Bitcoin Bitcoin has had a lively start to the new trading week as large moves across global financial markets appear to have made an impact on the price of the number one cryptocurrency. It remains to be seen if Bitcoin can hold onto today’s gains, given the heavy rejection from just above the $10,600 level earlier today.
After testing back towards its 100-day moving average over the weekend and finding no real selling interest, Bitcoin has traded as high as $10,650 this morning, before dropping back to the $10,200 level. At present, Bitcoin is managing to outpace most of the top altcoins in terms of intraday gains, while its overall market dominance has recovered back towards 69 percent.

I would like to point out an interesting observation from a short-term technical standpoint for Bitcoin. The four-hour time frame is currently showing a bearish head and shoulders pattern, with a nine-hundred point downside projection.
The breakout point or the neckline of the pattern is currently found just below the $10,000 level, with the pattern remaining valid while price trades below the $10,985 level. This suggests an upcoming test of the $9,100 level, which would be a potential trend defining momentum for the BTC/USD pair if the pattern plays out to the downside.
*Technical analysis suggests that a sustained break below the $10,000 level is increasingly likely to lead to a test of the $9,100 support level.*
Bitcoin Sentiment Analysis Intraday bullish sentiment for Bitcoin has increased to 56.20%, according to data from TheTIE.io – while the long-term sentiment indicator has increased to 70.46% positive.
It is worth noting that intraday bullish sentiment has gradually been picking up through the day, despite the pullback in price from the $10,650 level.
UPSIDE POTENTIAL
Short-term bulls need to move price above the $10,700 to inspire confidence for another attempt at the $11,000 technical barrier. Key near-term resistance for the BT/USD pair is currently located at the $10,550 and $10,650 levels.
The daily time frame is showing that the 50-day moving average capped the latest rally, while the Ichimoku indicator on the mentioned time frame highlights that the $10,870 level is the strongest form of intraday technical resistance.
DOWNSIDE POTENTIAL
The Ichimoku indicator on the four-hour time frame suggests that sellers need to push price below the $10,280 level to regain short-term control. The previously mentioned head and shoulders pattern is also dominating the technical landscape across the lower time frames.
The $10,000 level is once again absolutely key this week, particularly daily price closes under the $10,000 to $9,900 technical confluence area. The downside can easily extend towards the $9,100 level if we start to see sellers gaining control under the $9,900 level.

Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange by trading volume, has announced that 11 altcoins are facing a potential delisting.
On Monday, Binance extended its “monitoring tag” to Balancer (BAL), Cortex (CTXC), PowerPool (CVP), Convex Finance (CVX), Dock (DOCK), Kava Lend (HARD), IRISnet (IRIS), MovieBloc (MBL), Polkastarter (POLS), Status (SNT) and Sun (SUN).
[adinserter block="1"]
Binance says tokens with monitoring tags are more volatile and risky than other crypto assets. The exchange monitors and conducts “regular reviews” of tagged tokens.
Says Binance,
“Keep in mind that tokens with the Monitoring Tag are at risk of no longer meeting our listing criteria and being delisted from the platform.”
Binance users who want to trade tokens with monitoring tags have to pass quizzes every 90 days, designed to make users aware of the risks associated with the digital assets.
The exchange also removed two assets from its monitoring tag list: Enzyme (MLN) and Horizen (ZEN).
Enzyme is an on-chain asset management system that aims to enable access to digital assets and decentralized finance (DeFi) from one unified app. The project’s native token, MLN, is trading at $22.21 at time of writing and is up nearly 30% in the past 24 hours.
Horizen bills itself as a privacy-focused network of blockchains. The project’s native token, ZEN, is trading at $7.13 at time of writing. The 393rd-ranked crypto asset by market cap is up over 5% in the past 24 hours.
