Entity X drží 1,47 miliardy $KAS
GT Gate KAS Kaspa
CoinGecko News 72
Original source text
A wallet cluster tracked on-chain as Entity X has lifted its total Kaspa ($KAS) position to 1.47 billion tokens, valued at approximately $42.9 million at current prices, making it the largest known non-exchange holder on the Kaspa network.

Fresh Inflows From Major Exchanges The latest leg of accumulation included a fresh inflow of 6.8 million $KAS drawn from liquidity pools at @Bybit_Official, @Gate, and @Bitget. The movement confirms a pattern of deliberate, exchange-sourced buying rather than peer-to-peer transfers, suggesting the entity is actively pulling tokens off trading venues and into cold or self-custodied storage.

On-chain data shows accumulation patterns consistent with whale positioning ahead of a known catalyst, a familiar playbook in crypto, but one that tends to accelerate when the underlying technical event is concrete rather than speculative. The @kaspaunchained ecosystem has been scaling toward a broader network upgrade, adding a layer of context to the timing of these moves.

Why the Kaspa Network Is Drawing Attention Kaspa has carved out a unique place in the cryptocurrency space as a pure proof-of-work Layer 1 blockchain built on a blockDAG (Directed Acyclic Graph) structure rather than a traditional linear chain. While Bitcoin processes a single chain of blocks and discards competing ones as orphans, Kaspa's BlockDAG architecture weaves those competing blocks into the ledger itself, enabling parallel block processing at a speed that no other proof-of-work network comes close to matching.

The Toccata hard fork successfully activated on Kaspa's mainnet, marking its most significant upgrade. It transitions the network from a high-speed proof-of-work payments chain to a programmable base-layer blockchain, introducing native Layer-1 covenant systems for expressive smart contracts, zero-knowledge proof verification opcodes, and support for KRC-20 tokens, all without requiring a global virtual machine.

Following that upgrade, the network is set to scale throughput through a series of structured block rate increases, moving from the current 10 blocks per second to 25 BPS, then to 40 BPS, and ultimately targeting 100 BPS as its long-term objective. On-chain data cited by analysts indicates declining Kaspa token balances on cryptocurrency exchanges, suggesting increased movement into self-custody wallets, a pattern interpreted as indicative of long-term holding behavior rather than active trading activity.

Whether Entity X represents a single institutional player or a coordinated group remains unknown. What the on-chain record shows clearly is a sustained, directional bet on the network at scale.

Burza Gate po obvinění z krádeže hlásí čisté odlivy 207 milionů USD
GT Gate
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
The exchange recorded $207 million in net withdrawals over seven days following a high-profile user theft claim that spread rapidly across crypto social media. The outflows came after a verified Gate.io user, posting under the handle @jheioff on X, alleged that $1.7 million had been drained from their account despite having every security layer the platform offers turned on.

What actually happened The user claimed their account was compromised through unauthorized changes to their security settings, even though real-name verification, two-factor authentication, and email notifications were all active. Gate.io’s initial response made things worse, not better. The exchange pushed back, saying the actions on the account appeared to be user-initiated and that no systemic breach had occurred. Gate.io CEO Dr. Han stated publicly that the situation was fully disclosed and that customer assets faced no systemic risk.

Widespread criticism followed across X and other platforms, with users questioning whether the exchange’s security architecture was sound and, more pointedly, whether Gate.io would take any financial responsibility for the alleged loss. The backlash was loud enough that Gate.io eventually reversed course, issued an apology, and committed to a full investigation.

The apology came. The $1.7 million, as far as public reporting shows, did not.

Why users started pulling funds The $207 million in net outflows over seven days is a direct expression of that calculus. This pattern is not new for Gate. In 2023, the exchange experienced withdrawal spikes ranging from $148 million to $176 million, triggered not by a confirmed exploit but by rumors circulating online. The 2026 incident follows a similar script, except this time there is an actual user with an actual claim attached to an actual dollar figure.

Gate.io’s history adds texture to the current anxiety. The exchange has faced scrutiny over a purported 2018 incident that some analysts have connected to roughly $230 million in losses that were never publicly disclosed by the platform. Gate.io has not confirmed that characterization, but the historical narrative exists and resurfaces every time the exchange finds itself in a security headline.

What this means for the broader market For Gate.io specifically, the sustained nature of the outflows, seven days of net withdrawals rather than a single-day panic, suggests this is not pure noise. A one-day spike can be dismissed as overreaction. A week of consistent net outflows is a platform bleeding trust in slow motion.

For traders still holding funds on Gate.io, the investigation timeline is the key variable to watch. If the exchange produces a transparent account of what happened and offers some form of restitution to the affected user, it has a path back to stability. If the inquiry goes quiet, the $207 million in outflows is unlikely to be the final number.

Dr. Han odmítl útok na Gate za 1,7 milionu

PANews July 8 news, regarding the online rumor of "Gate hacked for 1.7 million", platform founder and CEO Dr. Han posted a tweet in response: The whole story is here. After reading, you will understand some of the turbulence. Earlier, Gate's official account had already provided a complete disclosure and review of the incident.

Gate Chinese earlier stated that the online rumor "Gate hacked for 1.7 million" is not a systemic risk or a website security vulnerability, and that platform customer assets and accounts are currently safe. Gate disclosed that the user involved reset their phone and email on a new device starting July 4, and passed liveness facial verification and multiple verification codes; on July 5, again passed facial verification and submitted multiple historical transaction records from 2019 to unbind the phone number; on July 6, modified the Google Authenticator, login password, and fund password; on July 7, logged in on a historical device, passed liveness, Google Authenticator, and fund password verification multiple times, then completed 5 withdrawals to a new address, totaling approximately 49.96 ETH, 746,475 HSK and 1,565,982 USDT, and only reported the fund loss to customer service on July 8. Gate stated that all operations are traceable and verifiable, and urged users to view relevant rumors rationally.

MiCA funguje jen při dodržování pravidel všemi platformami

CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
Europe’s most ambitious crypto regulation went fully live on July 1, 2026. The Markets in Crypto-Assets framework, known as MiCA, replaced 27 separate national regimes with a single unified licensing system for crypto-asset service providers across the EU.

Dr. Lin Han, founder and CEO of Gate Group, warned in early July 2026 that MiCA’s success depends on universal compliance among crypto platforms. His position: as long as unregulated operators continue to serve EU clients, the goal of a fair competitive landscape will remain unattainable.

The compliance gap problem Licensed platforms invest heavily in compliance infrastructure, legal teams, and regulatory capital. Unlicensed overseas operators serving the same EU customer base carry none of those costs. The result is a structural imbalance that rewards ignoring the rules.

Gate Technology Ltd, the EU-facing arm of Gate Group, obtained its MiCA CASP license from the Malta Financial Services Authority in late 2025. The license covers exchange and custody services. The company also secured a Payment Institution license under the revised PSD2 framework in early 2026.

The European Securities and Markets Authority, ESMA, has stated that non-authorized firms serving EU clients are in violation of EU law and must stop. No specific penalties for non-compliant platforms have been highlighted in present coverage.

Tether’s absence and what it signals Tether, the issuer of USDT, announced it would not pursue MiCA authorization. The company cited concerns about the reserve requirements MiCA imposes on stablecoin issuers.

USDT is the dominant trading pair on most global exchanges, and a significant volume of EU-based trading runs through it. If MiCA’s stablecoin rules effectively push the most liquid dollar-denominated asset out of compliant EU platforms, traders do not simply stop using USDT. They find other ways to access it, often through platforms that are not MiCA-authorized.

What this means for traders and the EU crypto market Smaller platforms that lack the capital to absorb MiCA compliance costs are already exiting the EU market or scaling back services.

Gate’s dual licensing, MiCA CASP plus PSD2 Payment Institution, gives it a broader service footprint than many competitors who cleared only one of those hurdles. That positioning becomes more valuable as the compliance barrier rises and fewer entrants can clear it. But its value depends entirely on regulators making that barrier real for everyone, not just the firms that volunteer to clear it.

Gate Europe získala licenci MiCA CASP a licenci platební instituce pro Evropu

CoinGecko News 72

The MiCA deadline is here, which means the European market is now closed to unlicensed crypto exchanges and platforms targeting EU clients. MiCA is the biggest regulatory overhaul in digital asset history. The new framework has seen many giant exchanges like Binance exit the €10 billion market. However, some exchanges, like Gate, have successfully achieved this regulatory milestone.

So, what is the secret behind the MiCA success? The case of Gate, a crypto exchange with over 54 million global users, can provide some insight.

The MiCA Maze: A Challenge Worth Facing? MiCA has replaced Europe’s fragmented national crypto rules with a common framework for issuers and crypto-asset service providers. The regime puts authorisation, governance, client protection, operational controls, and market integrity at the centre of crypto activity in the EU.

Gate Europe enters this period with two important approvals in place. The company obtained a MiCA CASP license and a Payment Institution license at an early stage, giving its European business a regulated base for digital asset services, payment activity, and long-term regional expansion.

Platforms serving EU users now need stronger internal controls, compliance teams, reporting systems, and governance processes. Users and institutions are also placing greater focus on regulatory oversight when choosing where to trade, hold assets, or build partnerships.

The grace period closes on July 1, 2026. This period allowed crypto-asset service providers already active in the EU before MiCA’s main CASP rules applied on December 30, 2024, to continue operating temporarily while seeking authorization from their national regulator. After July 1, platforms without approval must complete their exit from the European market.

Individual users now have more information for evaluating platforms. A licensed provider operates under defined rules covering client assets, complaints, conflicts of interest, and business conduct. These standards give users a stronger basis for comparing platforms beyond fees, token coverage, and app design.

Institutional clients face an even higher bar. Banks, asset managers, fintech firms, and professional trading desks need crypto counterparties capable of passing compliance reviews, vendor checks, and legal assessments. MiCA gives these clients a common European benchmark for assessing regulated crypto service providers.

Gate’s Licensing Journey Was Eight Years in the Making Gate Europe’s compliance path began in 2018, years before MiCA became the central EU framework for crypto-asset service providers. The company describes its European regulatory work as a multi-year process built through early registrations, internal compliance development, and engagement with regional authorities.

Securing a MiCA license requires an application plus governance, risk controls, reporting procedures, operational oversight, and compliance systems capable of meeting financial supervision standards. These elements require investment across legal, product, security, finance, and management teams.

Gate Europe’s early preparation gave the company more time to build those capabilities before the final MiCA grace window. By the time authorization became central to EU market access, Gate Europe had already developed a regional compliance base designed for a supervised market.

The company’s MiCA license now supports regulated crypto-asset services across Europe, while its Payment Institution license strengthens the link between digital asset activity and payment services. Together, these approvals give Gate Europe a more complete regulatory foundation in the region.

“Europe is setting a high standard for digital asset regulation, and we view compliance as the foundation for sustainable growth in the region,” said Dr. Giovanni Cunti, CEO of Gate Europe. “We remain focused on building a secure and trusted platform for our users.”

The Licence is Only the Start Gate now faces the harder part of MiCA: maintaining the standard after approval. Authorisation gives the company market access, but supervision will test how well its controls work in practice.

That means keeping client assets properly protected, managing conflicts of interest, maintaining reliable reporting, strengthening complaint handling, and ensuring that governance decisions match regulatory expectations. It also means proving that growth across Europe does not weaken internal controls.

It’s 8-years of preparation and a head-start does give the exchange a competitive advantage that others have failed to achieve or sustain in this market.

Shiba Inu označil centralizované burzy za manipulativní po delistingu BONE

CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
Shiba Inu marketing specialist, Lucie, addresses the FUD surrounding the delisting of Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) from two centralized exchanges.

The Shiba Inu community received disappointing news earlier this week after OKX and ONUS announced plans to delist BONE. While OKX suspended BONE deposits on June 30, ONUS halted BONE purchases and swaps on July 1.

As expected, the delisting of BONE from two centralized exchanges sparked concerns among holders, who saw the value of their BONE holdings plummet massively.

Allegations of Manipulative Delisting Notably, Shiba Inu’s marketing lead took to X to address growing concerns about BONE’s delisting. She described the centralized exchanges as “manipulative.”

According to her, the delisting has nothing to do with BONE’s performance. She asserted that BONE isn’t even among the tokens with the lowest trading volumes on either platform. Lucie emphasized that she would not “chase” exchanges to support Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens.

Lucie Slams Centralized Exchanges She also expressed her belief in decentralized finance (DeFi), noting that the Shiba Inu team has been focused on building within the DeFi space, one that doesn’t require invasive identity checks, including KYC or even, as she sarcastically remarked, “blood samples.”.

Despite the delisting, Lucie emphasized that the team is not backing down and will focus on building out the ecosystem. She further took a swipe at centralized exchanges, claiming they usually list tokens that offer ‘big money.”

According to her, this practice enables them to continue promoting low-effort projects that often disappear within a short time.

Lucie also pointed to the failures of once-prominent centralized exchanges like WazirX, FTX, and Hotbit. Although they appeared solid at first, they were eventually exposed or exploited, serving as cautionary examples against overreliance on centralized platforms.

A Familiar Pattern Furthermore, Lucie noted that other major assets, including SHIB and XRP, have faced similar challenges. In particular, she recalled how several U.S.-based exchanges delisted XRP after the SEC filed a lawsuit against Ripple.

However, these exchanges have since relisted XRP after a federal court ruled that its secondary market sales do not violate federal securities laws.

Currently, BONE is down 18.95% over the past seven days, following its delisting from ONUS and OKX. However, it has recovered some of its losses in the past day, with its price soaring 9.5% to $0.1941.

Meanwhile, BONE remains available for trading on other centralized exchanges, such as Gate.io and HTX, which have seen over $2 million in volume in the past 24 hours.

Gate přidává Kasplex L2 pro převody KAS
GT Gate KAS Kaspa
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
Gate has integrated Kasplex Layer 2 on Kaspa, opening a direct bridge for users to move KAS onto an EVM‑compatible DeFi environment.

Summary

Gate has connected its exchange infrastructure to the Kasplex Layer 2 network on Kaspa, enabling KAS deposits and withdrawals via L2. Kasplex uses $KAS as its sole gas and network token, aiming to bring EVM‑compatible smart contracts and DeFi to Kaspa’s high‑throughput BlockDAG chain. The integration is meant to lower user barriers, improve KAS circulation and deepen on‑chain activity across the Kaspa ecosystem. Gate has officially integrated the Kasplex Layer 2 network, allowing users to move Kaspa’s native token KAS between the Kaspa Layer 1 chain and Kasplex L2 directly through the exchange. According to Gate, customers can now “transfer KAS from Kaspa L1 to the Kasplex L2 wallet,” a step the platform says will “significantly” reduce entry barriers while “enhancing asset circulation and on‑chain interaction” for KAS holders.

Kasplex is a Layer 2 solution built on top of Kaspa’s BlockDAG‑based Layer 1 and is designed to add Ethereum‑style smart contract functionality to a network that, like Bitcoin, uses a UTXO model and has no native contract layer. In technical documentation, Kasplex describes itself as “a lightweight Rollup solution based on Kaspa,” embedding EVM bytecode into Kaspa L1 transactions and executing it off‑chain to update Layer 2 state while using Kaspa for ordering and data availability.

Kasplex’s KAS‑only gas model and DeFi goals In posts on X, the Kasplex team has stressed that the network uses bridged $KAS as its only gas token, rather than introducing a separate L2 asset, in order to “preserve economic alignment and keep value within the Kaspa ecosystem.” The project offers a two‑way bridge for moving KAS between L1 and L2 and says smart‑contract deployment is “as simple as redirecting RPC endpoints,” with the aim of making it easy for developers familiar with EVM tooling to launch applications on Kasplex.

Kasplex’s architecture is pitched as a way to unlock DeFi, NFTs and other dApps on Kaspa by combining the base chain’s high‑throughput BlockDAG design with EVM‑compatible execution. Kasplex notes that by using Kaspa L1 for canonical transaction ordering and data, its Rollup‑style design can support automated market makers, lending and borrowing markets, stablecoins and other composable protocols that “cannot be realized on the primary chain” alone.

Kaspa itself has become one of the more actively traded mid‑cap layer‑1 tokens, with a live price of about $0.0345, a 24‑hour trading range between roughly $0.0340 and $0.0353, and a recent 24‑hour volume near $26.4 million. CoinMarketCap data puts Kaspa’s all‑time high at $0.2075, meaning KAS currently trades more than 80% below its peak, a gap backers hope additional L2 utility can help narrow over time.

Kaspa community posts have framed Kasplex as “a huge milestone ahead of imminent mainnet,” highlighting growing momentum around node decentralization, liquidity pools and wallet integrations, including tutorials on bridging KAS and adding the L2 network to Kasware and MetaMask. By wiring Kasplex directly into its deposit and withdrawal rails, Gate is betting that a smoother path onto L2 will translate into more KAS moving into smart contracts, and more activity across Kaspa’s expanding DeFi stack.

Peněženka spojená s Hayesem znovu nakoupila HYPE
GT Gate HYPE Hyperliquid STX Stacks
CoinGecko News 78
Original source text
Wallet Pulls $2.93M in HYPE from GateA wallet linked to BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes (@CryptoHayes) withdrew $2.93 million worth of $HYPE from Gate exchange on June 23, according to on-chain analytics platform Lookonchain. The move marks the second time in two weeks the address has accumulated Hyperliquid's native token, with the two trades together generating a combined $508,000 in profit.

The wallet, identified by the address prefix 0xf7A4, has drawn consistent attention from on-chain analysts throughout 2026. As with all on-chain wallet attributions, the link to Hayes is based on analyst clustering methodology and has not been independently confirmed by Hayes himself.

A Pattern of HYPE Swing TradesThe latest buy is the most recent chapter in a busy stretch of activity tied to this address. Earlier reporting from Bitcoin.com News documented that the same wallet had deposited 115,453 HYPE worth $6.33 million into Bybit, a move later confirmed as a sale at an average of $54.81 per token. The wallet then withdrew 85,714 HYPE from Bybit at $62.69 per token, roughly three hours before that analysis was published, locking in a gain on the round trip.

Separately, in early June, Lookonchain flagged a $2.09 million HYPE withdrawal from Bybit tied to the same address. Hayes publicly denied that transaction, writing on X that he had not made the purchase. The denial came days after he disclosed exiting his entire HYPE position at prices above $72, citing macro concerns including rising energy costs and expected pressure from large AI IPOs.

Hyperliquid itself remains one of the stronger-performing assets in crypto this year. The platform operates a fully on-chain perpetual futures exchange and has cleared around $40 billion in weekly perp volume, according to CoinDesk. $HYPE hit an all-time high of $76.85 on June 16, 2026, per CoinMarketCap data, before pulling back toward current levels.

Whether the 0xf7A4 wallet represents Hayes personally or another party operating within the same cluster remains unverified. Traders will likely keep watching the address closely given its track record of well-timed entries and exits in HYPE.
