WHY ROSEN LAW: We encourage investors to select qualified counsel with a track record of success in leadership roles. Often, firms issuing notices do not have comparable experience, resources, or any meaningful peer recognition. Many of these firms do not actually handle securities class actions, but are merely middlemen that refer clients or partner with law firms that actually litigate the cases. Be wise in selecting counsel. The Rosen Law Firm represents investors throughout the globe, concentrating its practice in securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation. Rosen Law Firm has achieved the largest ever securities class action settlement against a Chinese Company. Rosen Law Firm was Ranked No. 1 by ISS Securities Class Action Services for number of securities class action settlements in 2017. The firm has been ranked in the top 4 each year since 2013 and has recovered billions of dollars for investors. In 2019 alone the firm secured over $438 million for investors. In 2020, founding partner Laurence Rosen was named by law360 as a Titan of Plaintiffs' Bar. Many of the firm's attorneys have been recognized by Lawdragon and Super Lawyers.
DETAILS OF THE CASE: According to the lawsuit, throughout the Class Period, defendants made materially false and misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) defendants had overstated First Solar's capacity to manage the impact of U.S. tariff policy on First Solar's business; (2) defendants understated the extent to which its responses to U.S. tariff policy, including the intentional underutilization of production facilities in Malaysia and Vietnam, and attempted relocation of production to the U.S., were likely to negatively impact First Solar's projected performance in the 2026 fiscal year; and (3) as a result, defendants' public statements were materially false and misleading at all relevant times. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.

New York, New York--(Newsfile Corp. - July 24, 2026) - Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP, a leading national securities law firm, is investigating potential claims against First Solar, Inc. ("First Solar" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: FSLR) and reminds investors of the August 24, 2026 deadline to seek the role of lead plaintiff in a federal securities class action that has been filed against the Company.
Faruqi & Faruqi is a leading national securities law firm with offices in New York, Pennsylvania, California and Georgia. The firm has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for investors since its founding in 1995. See www.faruqilaw.com.
As detailed below, the complaint alleges that the Company and its executives violated federal securities laws by making false and/or misleading statements and/or failing to disclose that: (1) Defendants had overstated First Solar's capacity to manage the impact of U.S. tariff policy on the Company's business; (2) Defendants understated the extent to which its responses to U.S. tariff policy, including the intentional underutilization of production facilities in Malaysia and Vietnam, and attempted relocation of production to the U.S., were likely to negatively impact First Solar's projected performance in the 2026 fiscal year; and (3) as a result, Defendants' public statements were materially false and misleading at all relevant times.
The truth began to emerge on January 7, 2026, when Jefferies downgraded First Solar to Hold from Buy, noting that during 2025, the Company had lowered guidance, faced significant de-bookings and experienced margin compression through 2025. Jefferies also flagged that "[international] facilities remain a pain point while tariffs exist" and "underutilization at [international] facilities remains a concern." The Jefferies analyst also predicted that First Solar's deployment opportunities were likely to be more limited in 2026.
On this news, First Solar's stock price fell $27.67 per share, or 10.29%, to close at $241.11 per share on January 7, 2026.
Then, on February 24, 2026, First Solar issued a press release "announc[ing] financial results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2025." Among other items, First Solar announced earnings that missed expectations by a wide margin and issued lower-than-expected FY 2026 revenue guidance, citing customer headwinds such as permitting delays under the Trump administration. Following First Solar's announcement, Baird Research downgraded its stock to Neutral from Outperform, citing "several question marks in forward outlook".
On this news, First Solar's stock price fell $33.09 per share, or 13.61%, to close at $210.12 per share on February 25, 2026.
The court-appointed lead plaintiff is the investor with the largest financial interest in the relief sought by the class who is adequate and typical of class members who directs and oversees the litigation on behalf of the putative class. Any member of the putative class may move the Court to serve as lead plaintiff through counsel of their choice, or may choose to do nothing and remain an absent class member. Your ability to share in any recovery is not affected by the decision to serve as a lead plaintiff or not.

Two US energy records are landing simultaneously, telling the same story. American solar farms just produced their highest monthly output ever, up 21% from a year earlier, according to Energy Information Administration data. Total US electricity demand is grinding to fresh all-time highs, propelled by an AI build-out rewriting utility load forecasts across the country. Solar is sprinting to keep pace with a demand surge that is also pushing power bills higher for households.
The buildout is unprecedented. Developers are on track to add a record 43.4 GW of new utility-scale solar photovoltaic capacity in 2026, a 60% increase over 2025 and more than 12 GW above 2024’s prior record. Solar accounts for 51% of all new utility-scale generating capacity planned for the US grid this year, out of 86 GW total, followed by battery storage at 28% and wind at 14%. Texas alone is forecast to absorb roughly 40% of the new solar additions.
The shift is showing up in dispatch data. In California’s CAISO grid region, solar generation surpassed natural gas during the first five months of 2026, a marker that would have been unthinkable a few years ago. National forecasts point the same way: the EIA revised its 2026 utility-scale solar generation forecast 1.4% higher in its May outlook after finding more capacity online than expected.
On the demand side, Total US electricity consumption is projected to rise from a record 4,195 billion kWh in 2025 to 4,269 billion kWh in 2026, with new records expected again in 2027. The engine is AI infrastructure. US data center power demand is projected to climb from 31 GW in 2025 to 41 GW in 2026 and 66 GW in 2027, with total data center IT load capacity potentially doubling from about 80 GW in 2025 to roughly 150 GW by 2028. Data centers’ share of US peak summer power demand is projected to rise from 4.1% in 2025 to 5.3% in 2026 and 8.5% in 2027. The Department of Energy projects data centers could account for up to 12% of US electrical demand by 2028.
The two threads meet directly. Renewables, mainly wind and solar, are meeting nearly half of the growth in data center electricity demand globally, with generation for data centers growing at an average 22% annual rate between 2024 and 2030. Hyperscaler power purchase agreements have become the pricing floor under new US solar projects, and domestic module makers are trading on AI narratives.
Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and First Solar didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.
First Solar (NASDAQ:FSLR | FSLR Price Prediction) is the clearest pure-play. The Tempe-based thin-film manufacturer carries a $22.44 billion market cap and closed its most recent quarter with a 47.9 GW contracted backlog stretching through 2030. First Solar posted record first-quarter revenue of $1.04 billion, up 23.64% year over year, with diluted EPS of $3.22. The stock is down 21.17% year to date, a reminder that markets are pricing the eventual Section 45X credit phase-out scheduled between 2030 and 2033 alongside the demand tailwind.
Consumers are paying for the surge. The national average residential electricity rate rose from 14.92 cents per kWh in 2022 to 18.05 cents per kWh in 2026, a 21% increase over five years. The EIA expects residential prices to rise about 5% in 2026 and roughly 2% in 2027, with the East Coast bearing the sharpest jumps.
The signal to watch is straightforward: whether 43.4 GW of new solar, plus batteries, can close the gap on 66 GW of data center demand by 2027. If it cannot, natural gas fills the difference, and residential bills keep climbing.
Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and First Solar didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.

First Solar is a solar technology company that provides photovoltaic ("PV") solar energy solutions. First Solar manufactures and sells PV solar modules that convert sunlight into electricity. As relevant here, First Solar's product offerings include its Series 6 Plus PV module, manufactured at facilities in locations including Malaysia and Vietnam.
At the outset of the Class Period, Defendants announced that First Solar would reduce production output of Series 6 modules at facilities in Malaysia and Vietnam in 2025, to account for circumstances including, inter alia, an "uncertain U.S. policy environment following the 2024 U.S. elections," and "a supply and demand imbalance for Southeast Asian product". Notwithstanding these circumstances, First Solar reassured investors that its primary market, the United States, enjoyed stable module prices.
Then, on April 2, 2025, United States ("U.S.") President Donald J. Trump announced a series of "reciprocal" tariffs on U.S. imports from all countries, including rates of 24% and 46% on Malaysia and Vietnam, respectively, presenting a challenge to First Solar. These tariffs were subsequently reduced to 10%. Throughout the Class Period, Defendants continued to assure investors that the dynamic policy landscape presented a "long term favorable" for First Solar and actually "strengthened [its] relative position in the solar manufacturing industry".
The complaint alleges that, throughout the Class Period, Defendants made materially false and misleading statements regarding the Company's business, operations, and compliance policies. Specifically, Defendants made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (i) Defendants had overstated First Solar's capacity to manage the impact of U.S. tariff policy on the Company's business; (ii) Defendants understated the extent to which its responses to U.S. tariff policy, including the intentional underutilization of production facilities in Malaysia and Vietnam, and attempted relocation of production to the U.S., were likely to negatively impact First Solar's projected performance in the 2026 fiscal year; and (iii) as a result, Defendants' public statements were materially false and misleading at all relevant times.

Time-Sensitive: Allegations Focus on First Solar's Repeated 'Long Term Favorable' Trade Environment Representations While International Facilities Faced Mounting Headwinds
, /PRNewswire/ -- SueWallSt alerts investors in First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSLR) of a pending securities class action. Class Period: February 26, 2025 through February 24, 2026. Check if you might be eligible to recover your investment losses or contact Joseph E. Levi, Esq. at [email protected] | (888) SueWallSt.
First Solar shares declined over $60 per share in combined corrective disclosures during the Class Period. The Court has set August 24, 2026 as the deadline to apply for lead plaintiff appointment.
The Alleged 'Long Term Favorable' Mischaracterization
The lawsuit asserts that throughout 2025, management repeatedly told investors that the political and trade environment remained "an overall long term favorable" for the Company and that recent policy developments had "strengthen[ed] First Solar's relative position in the solar manufacturing industry." As alleged, these characterizations were materially misleading because they obscured the severity of operational disruptions already underway at international production sites.
Trade Policy Trends in Solar Manufacturing
The action claims that while management projected confidence about navigating tariff regimes, the underlying reality told a different story:
Reciprocal tariffs of up to 46% on Vietnamese imports and 24% on Malaysian imports rendered international module shipments to the U.S. economically unviable for extended periods The Company acknowledged it "may need to further reduce or idle production" at international sites, yet continued to frame the overall outlook as favorable A major customer default by British Petroleum affiliates eliminated 6.6 gigawatts of contracted bookings, further undermining the international production thesis Management's assurances about customer tariff-absorption provisions failed to account for customers' unwillingness to bear the full cost burden The new South Carolina onshoring facility was scheduled to commence commercial operations in the second half of 2026, with production ramping through the first half of 2027, creating a production gap that was not adequately disclosed Why 'Long Term Favorable' Framing Allegedly Matters to Investors
The lawsuit contends that by characterizing the trade environment as net-positive, management encouraged investors to maintain or increase positions in FSLR at prices that did not reflect the Company's deteriorating near-term production economics. When corrective information emerged through analyst downgrades and disappointing FY 2026 guidance, the gap between the portrayed outlook and operational reality became apparent.
"Investors deserve transparency about material risks that could affect their investments. When a company repeatedly frames a challenging environment as favorable without adequate qualification, shareholders may be denied the opportunity to make informed decisions about their holdings." -- Joseph E. Q: What specific misstatements does the FSLR lawsuit allege? A: The complaint alleges First Solar made materially false or misleading statements regarding the favorability of the trade environment, its capacity to manage tariff impacts on international production, and the extent to which facility underutilization would harm projected 2026 performance. Q: What is the FSLR lead plaintiff deadline? A: The deadline to apply for lead plaintiff appointment is August 24, 2026. This deadline applies only to investors seeking to serve as lead plaintiff. Q: What does it cost me to participate? A: Nothing. Securities class actions are handled on a pure contingency basis. No upfront fees, no retainer, no out-of-pocket costs.

The market expects First Solar (FSLR - Free Report) to deliver a year-over-year decline in earnings on lower revenues when it reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. This widely-known consensus outlook is important in assessing the company's earnings picture, but a powerful factor that might influence its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.
The stock might move higher if these key numbers top expectations in the upcoming earnings report, which is expected to be released on July 30. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.
While management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call will mostly determine the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations, it's worth having a handicapping insight into the odds of a positive EPS surprise.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis largest U.S. solar company is expected to post quarterly earnings of $2.74 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of -13.8%.
Revenues are expected to be $1.06 billion, down 3.3% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 0.06% lower over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.
Investors should keep in mind that an aggregate change may not always reflect the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts.
Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise
Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. This insight is at the core of our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction).
The Zacks Earnings ESP compares the Most Accurate Estimate to the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the quarter; the Most Accurate Estimate is a more recent version of the Zacks Consensus EPS estimate. The idea here is that analysts revising their estimates right before an earnings release have the latest information, which could potentially be more accurate than what they and others contributing to the consensus had predicted earlier.
Thus, a positive or negative Earnings ESP reading theoretically indicates the likely deviation of the actual earnings from the consensus estimate. However, the model's predictive power is significant for positive ESP readings only.
A positive Earnings ESP is a strong predictor of an earnings beat, particularly when combined with a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold). Our research shows that stocks with this combination produce a positive surprise nearly 70% of the time, and a solid Zacks Rank actually increases the predictive power of Earnings ESP.
Please note that a negative Earnings ESP reading is not indicative of an earnings miss. Our research shows that it is difficult to predict an earnings beat with any degree of confidence for stocks with negative Earnings ESP readings and/or Zacks Rank of 4 (Sell) or 5 (Strong Sell).
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for First Solar? For First Solar, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +15.75%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #3.
So, this combination indicates that First Solar will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue?Analysts often consider to what extent a company has been able to match consensus estimates in the past while calculating their estimates for its future earnings. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that First Solar would post earnings of $2.87 per share when it actually produced earnings of $3.22, delivering a surprise of +12.20%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates two times.
Bottom LineAn earnings beat or miss may not be the sole basis for a stock moving higher or lower. Many stocks end up losing ground despite an earnings beat due to other factors that disappoint investors. Similarly, unforeseen catalysts help a number of stocks gain despite an earnings miss.
That said, betting on stocks that are expected to beat earnings expectations does increase the odds of success. This is why it's worth checking a company's Earnings ESP and Zacks Rank ahead of its quarterly release. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.
First Solar appears a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.

, /PRNewswire/ -- IMPORTANT DATE: August 24, 2026. Investors who purchased First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSLR) securities between February 26, 2025 and February 24, 2026 and wish to seek appointment as lead plaintiff must file a motion by this date. Start your claim now before the deadline. You may also contact Joseph E. Levi, Esq. at [email protected] or (212) 363-7500.
First Solar shares suffered two significant declines during the Class Period, falling $27.67 per share (10.29%) on January 7, 2026, and an additional $33.09 per share (13.61%) on February 25, 2026, closing at $210.12. A securities class action has been filed alleging the Company and certain officers made materially false and misleading statements about First Solar's capacity to manage U.S. tariff policy impacts and the consequences of underutilizing international production facilities.
What is a Lead Plaintiff?
Under the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995, any investor who purchased FSLR securities during the Class Period may move the Court for appointment as lead plaintiff. The lead plaintiff is the investor or small group of investors selected by the Court to represent the interests of all class members. The Court typically appoints the applicant with the largest financial interest in the relief sought, provided that person otherwise satisfies the requirements of Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 23.
Lead Plaintiff Facts
Key facts every FSLR investor should know about the lead plaintiff process:
The deadline to file a motion for lead plaintiff appointment is August 24, 2026 There is no minimum loss threshold required to apply Lead plaintiffs do not pay any fees or costs out of pocket; counsel is compensated only from any recovery obtained for the class Serving as lead plaintiff gives direct oversight of case strategy, settlement negotiations, and selection of counsel Lead plaintiff applicants are not required to testify at trial in the vast majority of cases Investors who do not seek lead plaintiff status remain class members and retain the right to share in any recovery Post-Deadline Procedures
After August 24, 2026, the Court will review all lead plaintiff applications and appoint the investor or group it deems most adequate to represent the class. Appointed lead plaintiff then selects lead counsel, subject to Court approval. The case proceeds through discovery, potential motions, and either settlement or trial.
"The lead plaintiff process is designed to ensure the class is represented by shareholders with substantial interests in the outcome of the litigation. In the First Solar action, where combined per-share declines exceeded $60 across two corrective events, investors with meaningful losses should evaluate whether to seek this role." -- Joseph E. Levi, Esq.
Absent Class Member Rights
Investors who do not apply for lead plaintiff by August 24, 2026 are not excluded from the case. Absent class members retain the right to participate in any settlement or judgment without taking any action before the deadline. Frequently Asked Questions About the FSLR Lawsuit
Q: What is the FSLR lead plaintiff deadline? A: The deadline to apply for lead plaintiff appointment is August 24, 2026. This deadline applies only to investors seeking to serve as lead plaintiff. Class members who do not apply may still participate in any recovery without taking action before this date.
Q: What is a lead plaintiff and why does it matter? A: A lead plaintiff is the investor appointed by the court to represent the entire class. Lead plaintiffs are typically investors with the largest documented losses. Being appointed does not increase individual recovery but gives direct oversight of how the case is run.
Q: How do I know if I lost enough money to be the lead plaintiff? A: There is no minimum loss threshold. Courts appoint the investor with the largest provable loss who is willing and able to represent the class adequately. Contact Levi & Korsinsky before August 24, 2026 to evaluate.
Q: What if I already sold my FSLR shares -- can I still recover losses? A: Yes. Eligibility is based on when you purchased, not whether you still hold them. Investors who bought during the class period and sold at a loss may still participate.
Q: What does it cost me to participate? A: Nothing. Securities class actions are handled on a pure contingency basis. No upfront fees, no retainer, no out-of-pocket costs.
Q: What if I missed the lead plaintiff deadline? A: The deadline applies only to investors seeking lead plaintiff appointment. Class members who miss it can still participate in any settlement or recovery.
Q: What documents do I need to make a claim? A: Brokerage statements or trade confirmations showing purchase dates, share quantities, prices paid, and any subsequent sale dates and prices.

Key Takeaways T1 Energy is expanding solar manufacturing and entering battery storage through the KORE Power acquisition.First Solar is increasing module capacity while its order backlog extends through 2030.Both companies are positioned to benefit from rising U.S. solar demand and domestic manufacturing expansion. T1 Energy (TE - Free Report) and First Solar (FSLR - Free Report) provide investors with exposure to the growing U.S. solar industry. T1 Energy is an emerging clean energy manufacturer that is in the early stages of building its solar business, while First Solar is the largest and most established solar manufacturer in the United States. Both companies stand to benefit as governments continue to promote domestic clean energy production and supply-chain localization.
The comparison is particularly relevant today because both companies are positioned to benefit from the same long-term industry tailwinds. The U.S. government's emphasis on strengthening domestic solar manufacturing, reducing dependence on imported panels, and expanding renewable energy capacity has created a favorable environment for American solar manufacturers. Companies that can successfully scale domestic production while maintaining competitive costs are likely to benefit from increasing demand over the coming years.
Let us compare the stocks' fundamentals to determine which one is a better investment option at present.
Factors Acting in Favor of TE StockT1 Energy already operates one of the world's largest and most advanced solar module manufacturing facilities while building a 2.1 gigawatt (GW) solar cell plant that will significantly expand its domestic production capacity. Management has indicated that customer demand for the combined output of these facilities already exceeds planned production for 2027 and 2028, suggesting strong market demand, high expected utilization, and improved revenue visibility. Beyond solar manufacturing, the company is expanding into battery energy storage systems (BESS) and energy infrastructure solutions for high-growth markets, such as hyperscale data centers. This diversification broadens its revenue opportunities and positions it to capitalize on multiple long-term energy transition trends.
In June 2026, T1 Energy entered into a definitive agreement to acquire KORE Power, Inc., an established engineering-focused BESS and software solutions provider supporting industrial hyperscaler development. Through this acquisition, the company is expected to gain an established engineering platform with decades of experience in designing, deploying and operating utility-scale battery storage systems, along with deep relationships with utilities, government agencies, developers and industrial customers.
Factors Acting in Favor of FSLR StockFirst Solar has been investing heftily in the production ramp-up of its modules to expand its manufacturing capacity. The company manufactured 4.3 GW in the first quarter of 2026 and sold 3.8 GW of solar modules. With a strong global footprint, First Solar enjoys a solid presence in the United States, India, Malaysia and Vietnam. The company’s new 3.7 GW capacity module finishing line in the United States is expected to commence operations in the fourth quarter of 2026. These vigorous manufacturing capacity expansions will help boost its revenues.
The growth prospects of FSLR remain solid in the United States, thanks to favorable solar demand growth in the nation. The company commenced operations at its fourth and fifth manufacturing facilities in the United States and completed the expansion of its manufacturing footprint at its existing facilities in Ohio. FSLR has added 1.9 GW of gross booking since the previous earnings call and its total booking backlog is 47.9 GW extending through 2030, which indicates a strong demand for its products.

First Solar is a solar technology company that provides photovoltaic (“PV”) solar energy solutions. First Solar manufactures and sells PV solar modules that convert sunlight into electricity. As relevant here, First Solar’s product offerings include its Series 6 Plus PV module, manufactured at facilities in locations including Malaysia and Vietnam.
At the outset of the Class Period, Defendants announced that First Solar would reduce production output of Series 6 modules at facilities in Malaysia and Vietnam in 2025, to account for circumstances including, inter alia, an “uncertain U.S. policy environment following the 2024 U.S. elections,” and “a supply and demand imbalance for Southeast Asian product”. Notwithstanding these circumstances, First Solar reassured investors that its primary market, the United States, enjoyed stable module prices.
Then, on April 2, 2025, United States (“U.S.”) President Donald J. Trump announced a series of “reciprocal” tariffs on U.S. imports from all countries, including rates of 24% and 46% on Malaysia and Vietnam, respectively, presenting a challenge to First Solar. These tariffs were subsequently reduced to 10%. Throughout the Class Period, Defendants continued to assure investors that the dynamic policy landscape presented a “long term favorable” for First Solar and actually “strengthened [its] relative position in the solar manufacturing industry”.
The complaint alleges that, throughout the Class Period, Defendants made materially false and misleading statements regarding the Company’s business, operations, and compliance policies. Specifically, Defendants made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (i) Defendants had overstated First Solar’s capacity to manage the impact of U.S. tariff policy on the Company’s business; (ii) Defendants understated the extent to which its responses to U.S. tariff policy, including the intentional underutilization of production facilities in Malaysia and Vietnam, and attempted relocation of production to the U.S., were likely to negatively impact First Solar’s projected performance in the 2026 fiscal year; and (iii) as a result, Defendants’ public statements were materially false and misleading at all relevant times.

Jefferies also flagged that “[international] facilities remain a pain point while tariffs exist” and “underutilization at [international] facilities remains a concern.” The Jefferies analyst also predicted that First Solar’s deployment opportunities were likely to be more limited in 2026.
On this news, First Solar’s stock price fell $27.67 per share, or 10.29%, to close at $241.11 per share on January 7, 2026.

Following First Solar’s announcement, Baird Research downgraded its stock to Neutral from Outperform, citing “several question marks in forward outlook”.
On this news, First Solar’s stock price fell $33.09 per share, or 13.61%, to close at $210.12 per share on February 25, 2026.

New York, New York--(Newsfile Corp. - July 20, 2026) - Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP, a leading national securities law firm, is investigating potential claims against First Solar, Inc.

Any member of the putative class may move the Court to serve as lead plaintiff through counsel of their choice, or may choose to do nothing and remain an absent class member. Your ability to share in any recovery is not affected by the decision to serve as a lead plaintiff or not.

NEW YORK, July 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Levi & Korsinsky, LLP reminds purchasers of First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSLR) securities of a pending securities class action.
THE CASE: A class action seeks to recover damages for investors who purchased First Solar securities between February 26, 2025 and February 24, 2026.
YOUR OPTIONS: You may be entitled to compensation without payment of any out-of-pocket fees. See if you can recover losses or contact Joseph E. Levi, Esq. at [email protected] or (212) 363-7500.
First Solar's stock fell $33.09 per share, or 13.61%, to close at $210.12 on February 25, 2026, after the Company disclosed Q4 and full-year 2025 results that missed expectations and issued lower-than-expected fiscal year 2026 revenue guidance. Investors have until August 24, 2026 to seek lead plaintiff status.
The Alleged Production Underutilization Acceleration
A solar module manufacturer cannot sustain margins when its international production facilities sit idle. The lawsuit contends that throughout the Class Period, First Solar deliberately curtailed Series 6 Plus module output at its Malaysia and Vietnam factories, initially characterizing the move as a temporary response to tariff uncertainty. As alleged, management framed this underutilization as preserving "optionality" while the tariff landscape evolved, without disclosing that these curtailments could persist well into fiscal year 2026 and drag down the Company's forward outlook.
The action claims that by the time British Petroleum affiliates defaulted on 6.6 gigawatts of bookings at a base average selling price of $0.294 per watt, the demand shortfall for international product had deepened substantially, yet management continued to describe the trade environment as "long term favorable."
Production Relocation Management and the South Carolina Facility
The complaint recounts that in late October 2025, management announced a new 3.7-gigawatt U.S. production facility, with South Carolina confirmed as the location in November 2025, to onshore Series 6 finishing operations, a program carrying approximately $260 million in capital expenditures and $70 million in non-capitalized relocation costs. As detailed in the action, management represented that this facility would "commence commercial operations in the second half of 2026" and improve gross margins by reducing tariff and logistics costs.
However, the lawsuit chronicles that management failed to disclose the extent to which this massive onshoring effort, combined with continued international facility underutilization, would compress near-term financial performance:
Alleged Production Impact by the Numbers
6.6 gigawatts of contracted bookings terminated after BP affiliate defaults, eliminating a major source of international facility demand$330 million total program direct spend committed to the South Carolina relocation, including equipment deinstallation, shipping, and reinstallation3.7 gigawatts of planned capacity at the new facility would not fully replace Malaysia and Vietnam output volumesApproximately 40% of underutilization costs at international facilities were non-cash, obscuring the full operational drag on reported resultsSeries 6 production curtailments that began as "temporary" in Q2 2025 were still unresolved when disappointing FY 2026 guidance was issued in February 2026 Calculate your potential recovery or call (212) 363-7500.
"The complaint raises serious questions about whether investors received accurate information regarding the operational costs and timeline risks of simultaneously idling international production and standing up a major new domestic facility," -- Joseph E. Levi, Esq.

Eligibility is based on purchase date and documented losses, not on whether you still hold the shares.
Q: What specific misstatements does the FSLR lawsuit allege? A: The complaint alleges First Solar made materially false or misleading statements regarding its capacity to manage U.S. tariff impacts, the extent of production underutilization at international facilities, and the likely negative effects of onshoring operations on projected fiscal year 2026 performance. When the true state was revealed, the stock price declined sharply.
Q: How much did FSLR stock drop? A: Shares fell approximately 13.61%, a decline of $33.09 per share, after the Company disclosed disappointing Q4 and full-year 2025 results and issued lower-than-expected FY 2026 revenue guidance. Investors who purchased shares during the class period at artificially inflated prices may be entitled to compensation.
Q: What do FSLR investors need to do right now? A: Gather brokerage records including purchase dates, share quantities, and prices paid. Q: What if I missed the lead plaintiff deadline? A: The deadline applies only to investors seeking lead plaintiff appointment. Class members who miss it can still participate in any settlement or recovery.
Q: What court was the FSLR class action filed in? A: The case was filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, governed by the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995.

Green energy just hit an inflection point that few investors are pricing correctly. The U.S. Energy Information Administration’s Annual Energy Outlook 2026 projects total electricity generation grows between 25% and 50% through 2050, with natural gas, solar and wind together climbing from about 60% of the mix in 2025 to roughly 80% in most scenarios by 2050. After 15 years of nearly flat U.S. electricity consumption, demand has risen 2.1% per year on average over the last five years, and data centers are the accelerant.
Below are three US-listed renewable names worth examining this month, each backed by real earnings data and each carrying a specific risk to weigh.
First Solar (NASDAQ: FSLR) First Solar (NASDAQ:FSLR | FSLR Price Prediction) is the largest U.S. thin-film solar manufacturer and the cleanest pure-play on domestic solar capacity. The stock traded around $213.54 as of July 17, down 16.20% over the past month and 22.16% year-to-date, yet still up more than 23% over the past year. That pullback resets the entry point for a name still compounding earnings.
Q1 2026 was a margin story. First Solar delivered EPS of $3.22, beating consensus of $2.98 by 8.02%, on revenue of $1.044 billion, up 23.6% year over year. Adjusted EBITDA hit $519.81 million at a 50% margin, and net income climbed 65% to $346.62 million. Contracted backlog stood at 47.9 GW as of March 31, and management reaffirmed 2026 net sales guidance of $4.9 billion to $5.20 billion with adjusted EBITDA of $2.60 billion to $2.8 billion.
CEO Mark Widmar framed the quarter succinctly: “We delivered a strong start to 2026, with record first-quarter revenue, record sales in India, meaningful margin expansion, and Adjusted EBITDA above the top end of our first quarter preview range.” The bull case rests on three legs: a domestic manufacturing moat, independence from Chinese crystalline silicon supply chains and Section 45X tax credit monetization worth $2.10 billion to $2.19 billion in 2026.
Risk to watch: Underutilization costs of $115 million to $155 million in 2026 and the Section 45X phase-out between 2030 and 2033. Q2 earnings drop after the close on July 29, 2026.
GE Vernova (NYSE: GEV) GE Vernova (NYSE:GEV) is the purest listed proxy on AI-driven power demand. Shares traded around $1,061.58 on July 17, up 56.22% year-to-date and 86.19% over the past year.
Q1 2026 was extraordinary. Revenue rose 15.8% year over year to $9.30 billion, adjusted EBITDA nearly doubled to $900 million with margin expanding 390 basis points to 9.6% and orders reached $18.30 billion, up 71% organically. The Electrification segment booked $2.4 billion in data center equipment orders in Q1 alone, more than all of 2025, driving a book-to-bill ratio near 2.5x.
Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Brookfield Renewable Partners didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.
CEO Scott Strazik said it plainly: “Demand is accelerating for our Power and Electrification solutions from a diverse set of customers, with our backlog growing by more than $13 billion quarter-over-quarter.” Management raised 2026 revenue guidance to $44.5 billion to $45.5 billion, adjusted EBITDA margin to 12% to 14%, and free cash flow to $6.5 billion to $7.5 billion. GEV also doubled its quarterly dividend to $0.50 per share and repurchased roughly 1.8 million shares for $1.3 billion at an average price of $720 in Q1.
Risk to watch: The Wind segment continues bleeding, with approximately $400 million in EBITDA losses expected in 2026 and revenue down 23% in Q1. Q2 results arrive before the open on July 22.
Brookfield Renewable Partners (NYSE: BEP) Brookfield Renewable Partners (NYSE:BEP) is the income-and-growth entry. Units traded around $31.76 on July 17, up 13.69% year to date and 18.27% over the past year. Note the structure: BEP is a Canadian-domiciled Bermuda limited partnership listed on the NYSE, and American investors should factor in potential Canadian withholding-tax treatment on distributions.
The Q1 2026 headline was ugly. Revenue of $1.514 billion missed consensus by 10.79%, and GAAP net income swung to a $295 million loss, weighed down by a $193 million mark-to-market hit on long-term energy derivatives. Look past that. Funds from operations rose 19% year over year to $375 million, or 55 cents per unit. The quarterly distribution stepped up to $0.392 per unit, an annualized $1.568, with management targeting 5% to 9% annual distribution growth.
The pipeline supports it. Brookfield operates a 200+ GW global development pipeline, is 92% contracted for the remainder of 2026, and inked a Google Hydro Framework Agreement for up to 3,000 MW alongside an announced Boralex acquisition adding roughly 4,000 MW operating plus 8,000 MW pipeline.
Risk to watch: Corporate borrowings climbed to $4.8 billion from $3.7 billion and the consolidated debt-to-capitalization ratio sits at 45%. Hydrology and FX add variability quarter to quarter.
The Bigger Picture FSLR offers the highest-margin domestic solar exposure at a discounted entry. GEV is the momentum name riding the AI power supercycle with raised guidance. BEP pairs a growing distribution with a hyperscaler-linked growth pipeline. Different risk profiles, one thesis: electricity demand growth is structural, and the capital cycle behind it has only started.
Act now: the analyst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Brookfield Renewable Partners didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.

New York, New York--(Newsfile Corp. - July 18, 2026) - Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP, a leading national securities law firm, is investigating potential claims against First Solar, Inc.
Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP also encourages anyone with information regarding First Solar's conduct to contact the firm, including whistleblowers, former employees, shareholders and others.

WHY: Rosen Law Firm, a global investor rights law firm, reminds purchasers of securities of First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSLR) between February 26, 2025 and February 24, 2026, inclusive (the “Class Period”), of the important August 24, 2026 lead plaintiff deadline.
SO WHAT: If you purchased First Solar securities during the Class Period you may be entitled to compensation without payment of any out of pocket fees or costs through a contingency fee arrangement.
WHAT TO DO NEXT: To join the First Solar class action, go to https://rosenlegal.com/cases/first-solar-inc/join or call Phillip Kim, Esq. toll-free at 866-767-3653 or email [email protected] for information on the class action. A class action lawsuit has already been filed. If you wish to serve as lead plaintiff, you must move the Court no later than August 24, 2026. A lead plaintiff is a representative party acting on behalf of other class members in directing the litigation.
In 2020, founding partner Laurence Rosen was named by law360 as a Titan of Plaintiffs’ Bar. Many of the firm’s attorneys have been recognized by Lawdragon and Super Lawyers.
DETAILS OF THE CASE: According to the lawsuit, throughout the Class Period, defendants made materially false and misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) defendants had overstated First Solar’s capacity to manage the impact of U.S. tariff policy on First Solar’s business; (2) defendants understated the extent to which its responses to U.S. tariff policy, including the intentional underutilization of production facilities in Malaysia and Vietnam, and attempted relocation of production to the U.S., were likely to negatively impact First Solar’s projected performance in the 2026 fiscal year; and (3) as a result, defendants’ public statements were materially false and misleading at all relevant times. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.
To join the First Solar class action, go to https://rosenlegal.com/cases/first-solar-inc/join or call Phillip Kim, Esq. toll-free at 866-767-3653 or email [email protected] for information on the class action.
No Class Has Been Certified. Until a class is certified, you are not represented by counsel unless you retain one. You may select counsel of your choice. You may also remain an absent class member and do nothing at this point. An investor’s ability to share in any potential future recovery is not dependent upon serving as lead plaintiff.
