Can EPC Power Acquisition Boost Flex's AI Infrastructure Growth?
FLEX Flex
FMP Stock News
Original source text
Key Takeaways Flex buys EPC Power, adding advanced power conversion and grid-forming technologies to its CPI portfolio.EPC Power brings 15 GW of deployed technology and supports next-generation 800-volt data center systems.Flex expects 65-75% CPI revenue growth in fiscal 2027, ahead of its planned separation in calendar 2027. Flex Ltd. (FLEX - Free Report) has completed its acquisition of EPC Power, a provider of intelligent power conversion solutions for data centers and grid applications. The acquisition strengthens Flex's Cloud and Power Infrastructure (CPI) portfolio by adding advanced power conversion and grid-forming technologies to its existing capabilities across power, cooling and compute.

EPC Power combines proprietary hardware, software and control systems with U.S.-based engineering and manufacturing capabilities. Its technology supports grid stabilization and backup power, with more than 15 gigawatts (GW) deployed. The company's platform is also designed to support next-generation 800-volt data center power architectures.

Management highlighted that EPC Power's technologies complement the company's existing portfolio, helping customers address the increasing AI infrastructure power requirements through more efficient, resilient and integrated solutions.

Flex Strengthens Its AI Infrastructure PortfolioThe acquisition follows Flex's ongoing investments in electrical infrastructure and data center technologies. During first-quarter fiscal 2027, management stated growing customer discussions around integrating power, cooling and next-generation computing technologies.

Flex is currently working on 400-volt power programs, followed by 800-volt architectures. Management indicated that these technology transitions were progressing as planned, with no significant limitations anticipated for its fiscal 2027 and 2028 outlooks.

The company's CPI segment generated $2.2 billion in first-quarter fiscal 2027 revenues, representing 35% year-over-year growth. The increase was driven by strong performance in power, alongside the continued ramp-up of new cloud and cooling programs. Adjusted operating income reached $214 million, with an operating margin of 9.7%.

Flex expects CPI revenues to grow 65% to 75% in fiscal 2027, supported by both cloud and power operations, with power anticipated to grow faster than cloud.
Meanwhile, Flex plans to separate CPI into an independently traded company, Axiom Solutions International, Inc., in the first quarter of calendar 2027. EPC Power will be part of the segment ahead of this planned separation.

Flex is gaining from the AI and data center buildout, alongside growth in industrial and communications. The company raised its fiscal 2027 revenue guidance to $33.7-$35.2 billion from $32.3-$33.8 billion.

On its last earnings call, the company projected 65-75% revenue growth in its Cloud and Power Infrastructure business, while free cash flow conversion was expected to decline to approximately 40% from 60%, primarily due to one-time separation costs.

Taking a Look at FLEX’s CompetitorsJabil Inc. (JBL - Free Report) is gaining from strong AI infrastructure demand, expanding hyperscale relationships and rising investments in compute, networking, power and cooling solutions. The company’s Intelligent Infrastructure business is expected to drive growth, supported by increasing data center spending and higher-value manufacturing opportunities. Diversification across healthcare, automotive, energy infrastructure, defense and robotics further strengthens its growth prospects. Jabil’s asset-light manufacturing model, improving operating margins and robust free cash flow support capacity expansion and shareholder returns.

Celestica (CLS - Free Report) is gaining from robust AI-driven demand, rising data center investments and growing demand for high-speed networking and cloud infrastructure solutions. Its Connectivity & Cloud Solutions segment remains a key growth driver, supported by strong hyperscale customer demand and advanced networking products. Celestica is expanding its high-value product portfolio through innovation and collaborations, while strengthening manufacturing and engineering capabilities.

Vertiv (VRT - Free Report) is gaining from rising AI data center investments, increasing demand for power and cooling solutions, and expanding integrated infrastructure offerings. Vertiv is strengthening its portfolio through strategic acquisitions, including ThermoKey, PurgeRite, King Environmental Services and the planned acquisition of UtilityInnovation Group, enhancing its thermal management, fluid services and power infrastructure capabilities. Strong demand across the Americas and the Asia Pacific, improving EMEA performance, favorable pricing and operating efficiencies support growth.

TrackScout – Advanced AI Perception for Mainline Rail

TrackScout (formerly MainLine) is Rail Vision’s long-range AI perception system for mainline freight and passenger rail networks. The system features anomaly detection for unclassified hazards and industry-first switch-state detection, delivering clear real-time visual and acoustic alerts. Designed with a modular structure, TrackScout enables quick, simple retrofit across diverse locomotive fleets.

YardFlow Flex – AI-Powered Perception for Challenging Yard Environments

The system detects on-track and near-track hazards at distances of up to 200 meters (650 feet), including poor weather and low visibility. Key capabilities include switch-state detection, anomaly detection and sideswipe detection for rolling stock past the foul line. The system is built with a robust, modular design for seamless installation across diverse switching fleets.

TrackScout and YardFlow Flex are complemented by Rail Vision’s operational intelligence platform which uses big data analytics, real-time tracking, and continuous event recording to deliver actionable insights that maximize safety and efficiency across the entire fleet.

Michael Hartung
President & Chief Commercial Officer

Yes, sure. So I think as everybody in the room probably knows, we've announced a spin. We expect that spin to be executed just after the first of the year. And so when I think about priorities, I think about them in phases. So you've got this pre-spin priority list and then post-spin priority list. Pre-spin, we're really focused on 2 things: getting the execution of the spin correct and timely. And then two, maintaining the momentum that we've created over the past, call it, 2 quarters in the RemainCo business. So if you think

Here's Why Flex (FLEX) is a Strong Momentum Stock

It doesn't matter your age or experience: taking full advantage of the stock market and investing with confidence are common goals for all investors. Luckily, Zacks Premium offers several different ways to do both.

Featuring daily updates of the Zacks Rank and Zacks Industry Rank, full access to the Zacks #1 Rank List, Equity Research reports, and Premium stock screens, the research service can help you become a smarter, more self-assured investor.

It also includes access to the Zacks Style Scores.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores is a unique set of guidelines that rates stocks based on three popular investing types, and were developed as complementary indicators for the Zacks Rank. This combination helps investors choose securities with the highest chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.

Each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics. Just like in school, an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on -- that means the better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform.

The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:

Value ScoreFinding good stocks at good prices, and discovering which companies are trading under their true value, are what value investors like to focus on. So, the Value Style Score takes into account ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and a host of other multiples to highlight the most attractive and discounted stocks.

Growth ScoreGrowth investors are more concerned with a stock's future prospects, and the overall financial health and strength of a company. Thus, the Growth Style Score analyzes characteristics like projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks that will see sustainable growth over time.

Momentum ScoreMomentum traders and investors live by the saying "the trend is your friend." This investing style is all about taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Employing factors like one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, the Momentum Style Score can indicate favorable times to build a position in high-momentum stocks.

VGM ScoreIf you like to use all three kinds of investing, then the VGM Score is for you. It's a combination of all Style Scores, and is an important indicator to use with the Zacks Rank. The VGM Score rates each stock on their shared weighted styles, narrowing down the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum.

How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank The Zacks Rank is a proprietary stock-rating model that harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings expectations, to help investors build a successful portfolio.

Investors can count on the Zacks Rank's success, with #1 (Strong Buy) stocks producing an unmatched +23.8% average annual return since 1988, more than double the S&P 500's performance. But the model rates a large number of stocks, and there are over 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, plus another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.

This totals more than 800 top-rated stocks, and it can be overwhelming to try and pick the best stocks for you and your portfolio.

That's where the Style Scores come in.

To maximize your returns, you want to buy stocks with the highest probability of success. This means picking stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B. If you find yourself looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, make sure they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.

As mentioned above, the Scores are designed to work with the Zacks Rank, so any change to a company's earnings outlook should be a deciding factor when picking which stocks to buy.

For instance, a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one that boasts Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings forecast, and a much greater likelihood its share price will decline as well.

Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

Stock to Watch: Flex (FLEX - Free Report) Singapore-based Flex Ltd (formerly known as Flextronics International Ltd) has a diverse workforce across 30 countries and offers advanced manufacturing solutions and additional value to customers through a wide array of services, including design and engineering, component services, rapid prototyping, fulfillment and circular economy solutions.

FLEX is a #3 (Hold) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of B.

Momentum investors should take note of this Computer and Technology stock. FLEX has a Momentum Style Score of B, and shares are up 4.7% over the past four weeks.

Five analysts revised their earnings estimate higher in the last 60 days for fiscal 2027, while the Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.18 to $4.65 per share. FLEX also boasts an average earnings surprise of +7.8%.

With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Momentum and VGM Style Scores, FLEX should be on investors' short list.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? Developed alongside the Zacks Rank, the Zacks Style Scores are a group of complementary indicators that help investors pick stocks with the best chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.

Each stock is given an alphabetic rating of A, B, C, D or F based on their value, growth, and momentum qualities. With this system, an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on, meaning the better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform.

The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:

Value ScoreValue investors love finding good stocks at good prices, especially before the broader market catches on to a stock's true value. Utilizing ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and many other multiples, the Value Style Score identifies the most attractive and most discounted stocks.

Growth ScoreWhile good value is important, growth investors are more focused on a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score takes projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow into account to uncover stocks that will see long-term, sustainable growth.

Momentum ScoreMomentum traders and investors live by the saying "the trend is your friend." It's also one of the best indicators to use with the Zacks Rank.

How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank The Zacks Rank, which is a proprietary stock-rating model, employs earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings expectations, to make building a winning portfolio easier.

#1 (Strong Buy) stocks have produced an unmatched +23.8% average annual return since 1988, which is more than double the S&P 500's performance over the same time frame. If you find yourself looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, make sure they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.

Since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank, the direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy.

Here's an example: a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one with Style Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings outlook, and a bigger chance its share price will decrease too.

Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

It also boasts a Value Style Score of B thanks to attractive valuation metrics like a forward P/E ratio of 24.13; value investors should take notice.

(Axiom), Flex's Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment, to funds affiliated with General Catalyst, Koch Equity Development, and co-investors. Through this strategic investment, Axiom will be positioned to further capitalize on the growing AI infrastructure demand as it prepares to operate as an independent company. Pro-forma for the separation, the investment will be solely in Axiom.

"This investment provides equity funding for our recently announced acquisition of EPC Power and will allow Axiom to have a strong balance sheet as we prepare to stand up as an independent, publicly traded company squarely focused on the power, thermal, and compute infrastructure the AI era demands," said Revathi Advaithi, Chief Executive Officer of Flex and expected Chief Executive Officer of Axiom. "General Catalyst brings deep conviction in applied AI and a long track record partnering with companies building category-defining leaders, and we're glad to have them partner with us as Axiom enters its next chapter. This transaction reflects the value we see in Axiom's business today and will translate into lasting value for Flex shareholders as the separation comes together."

"Axiom sits at the center of the power and infrastructure buildout that AI demands, and we've been impressed by the team's execution and the scale of the opportunity ahead," said Hemant Taneja, Chief Executive Officer, General Catalyst. "We look forward to partnering with Axiom for the long term as it becomes an independent company and continues to invest in the technology and capacity this next phase of growth requires."

As part of the investment, General Catalyst will have the right to nominate one director to Axiom's board of directors, following completion of the separation.

The Convertible Preferred Stock pays a dividend of 10.0% per annum in cash prior to the separation, stepping down to 6.0% per annum in cash or 7.0% per annum if paid in kind following the separation, subject to increases after the fifth anniversary of the separation and certain other adjustments.

Net proceeds from the investment will be used to fund a portion of the purchase price of Axiom's pending acquisition of EPC Power, to repay any equity bridge or other intermediate financing incurred in connection with the acquisition, to pay dividends on the Convertible Preferred Stock, or for general corporate purposes. Flex separately has secured committed term loan financing for the balance of the EPC Power acquisition.

The investment is expected to close following receipt of customary regulatory approvals and satisfaction of other customary closing conditions.

Flex previously announced its intention to separate its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into an independent, publicly traded company, Axiom, which is expected to be completed in the first quarter of calendar 2027, subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions.

Flex's AI Data Center Spin-Off Just Got a $37.5 Billion Price Tag
FLEX Flex
FMP Stock News
Original source text
General Catalyst just put a stunning price tag on a business most Flex investors barely noticed, and the stock's muted reaction suggests Wall Street has not yet figured out what that number actually means for shareholders.

A business most investors know only as a line item inside a contract manufacturer now has an outside price. On October 5, 2026, Flex (NASDAQ:FLEX | FLEX Price Prediction) said investors led by General Catalyst, with Koch Equity Development, will put $2.0 billion of convertible preferred stock into Axiom, its planned data center spin-off.

Axiom’s enterprise value is $37.5 billion, according to Flex. It was negotiated privately for a minority stake, the first outside mark on a business embedded inside a low-multiple manufacturer.

Flex’s market capitalization was $43,131,494,280 on October 6, 2026.

Flex rose 0.13% on October 5 to $116.76, up 108.02% over the past year. The question is whether that run already priced Axiom in.

Power and Cooling Now Limit AI Buildouts
Axiom makes the power systems, liquid cooling and integrated computing hardware that AI data centers physically need. Chief executive Revathi Advaithi described the problem on the July 29, 2026 earnings call: “As AI scales, the constraint is no longer just the chip. It’s everything around the chip.”

Flex said the segment generated $6.6 billion in revenue for the fiscal year ended in March and $2.2 billion last quarter, up 35%. It forecasts 65% to 75% growth for the current fiscal year, the kind of pull-through that is lifting a whole roster of suppliers behind the AI expansion (we covered seven of them, from power to cooling, in a free report you can grab here).

How the Axiom Deal Is Structured
General Catalyst leads the round, with Koch Equity Development as a strategic co-investor. Flex expects to complete the tax-free separation in the first quarter of 2027.

Tax-free means Flex holders receive Axiom shares without paying tax, with cost basis split between the two holdings. Flex’s filings warn the spin-off “may not be completed on anticipated timeline or at all.”

Preferred Investors Get Paid Before You
Flex said the proceeds help fund Axiom’s $4.4 billion acquisition of EPC Power. Preferred stock is a class of shares that pays a set dividend and ranks ahead of common stock. Seniority means its holders collect before common shareholders do.

Flex said the preferred pays a 10% dividend before the separation and then converts into Axiom shares. Existing holders bear that cost in exchange for a reliable outside valuation and a deal that Revathi Advaithi said “will allow Axiom to have a strong balance sheet.”

General Catalyst’s Hemant Taneja said “Axiom sits at the center of the power and infrastructure buildout that AI demands,” but his firm benefits from a high valuation. Growth depends on a few hyperscalers whose capital spending can shift in a single quarter.

The remaining business makes lower margins. Last quarter, Flex’s other segments posted adjusted operating margins of 5.2% and 6.6%, versus 9.7% for the cloud and power unit.

What the Axiom Mark Means for FLEX Stock
Outside investors valued one piece of Flex near the company’s full market value, yet shares trade at 24x forward earnings and sit below the 52-week high of $166.86. The flat reaction to a fresh outside mark suggests the market has yet to fully price the separation.

The stock is up 93.25% year to date. Flex holders gain exposure to Axiom through the spin, and the cost is dilution from the preferred.

The test comes at the November 10, 2026 Investor Day. If Axiom’s standalone margin targets show no path toward peer levels, or the stock closes below its 200-day moving average of $99.61, this call is wrong.

Introduces AI Modules that integrate power, compute and cooling in prefabricated modular solutions to accelerate AI factory deployment by up to 50% Enables faster deployment of next-generation AI infrastructure through factory-built, integrated systems Strengthens Flex's Cloud and Power Infrastructure portfolio, which Flex plans to separate into Axiom Solutions International, Inc. (Axiom), in the first quarter of calendar 2027 , /PRNewswire/ -- Flex (NASDAQ: FLEX) today announced an expanded portfolio of prefabricated modular data center solutions designed to accelerate deployment of next-generation AI factories. The portfolio includes new AI Modules that integrate power, high-density compute and advanced liquid cooling into pre-engineered, factory-built systems, enabling customers to reduce deployment timelines by up to 50% compared with traditional construction approaches.

Axiom AI modules integrate power, compute and cooling in prefabricated modular solutions to accelerate AI factory deployment by up to 50%. The expanded portfolio is part of Flex's Cloud and Power Infrastructure (CPI) segment, which Flex plans to separate into Axiom, an independent publicly traded company, in the first quarter of calendar 2027.

"Meeting the demands of AI infrastructure at scale requires more than incremental improvements. It requires rethinking how power, compute and cooling work together as a system," said Chris Butler, expected Chief Technology and Strategy Officer at Axiom. "Our system-level approach brings these critical technologies together with advanced manufacturing to simplify integration, accelerate deployment and deliver AI factories at scale."

As AI infrastructure grows in scale and power density, data center operators face increasing complexity across power delivery, cooling, compute integration and deployment. Addressing these challenges requires a more integrated approach to designing and deploying the critical infrastructure that supports next-generation AI factories.

The Axiom AI Modules integrate critical AI infrastructure into pre-engineered, factory-built systems, including:

800 VDC Power Rack: Delivers high-efficiency power conversion and distribution for next-generation 800 VDC AI infrastructure and high-density compute. Advanced cooling distribution units (CDUs): Provide liquid cooling to efficiently manage the increasing heat generated by power-intensive AI workloads. High-density IT racks: Integrate AI servers, networking and high-speed interconnects to support next-generation AI compute at scale. By shifting complex infrastructure integration from the data center site to a controlled factory environment, the Axiom AI Modules are assembled, integrated and tested in parallel with site development. This approach reduces on-site complexity and helps customers bring AI capacity online faster.

Flex is actively building prefabricated modular solutions for hyperscalers across its global footprint, including more than three million square feet of dedicated data center infrastructure manufacturing capacity in the U.S. With deep expertise across power, compute, cooling and systems integration, Flex has the scale and capabilities to support rapid AI infrastructure deployment across regions.

Hyperscaler artificial intelligence (AI) expansion is colliding with significant data center construction constraints, positioning prefabricated power infrastructure as a critical part of the compute supply chain. Traditional facility build-outs are stalling against power grid limitations, permitting hurdles, and on-site integration friction.

By launching integrated modular AI racks ahead of a planned 2027 spin-off, Flex NASDAQ: FLEX is engineering a sum-of-the-parts valuation arbitrage. The market currently prices the enterprise under a legacy contract manufacturing discount, meaning investors accumulating equity now are positioned to capture the pure-play AI infrastructure multiples that apply once the high-margin assets separate.

Get Flex alerts:

Bypassing Gridlock With Prefab PowerBuilding an AI data center is fundamentally different from building traditional cloud facilities. Standard data center racks have historically consumed roughly 10-15 kilowatts of power. AI infrastructure, driven by next-generation graphics processing units, pushes rack densities from about 40 to over 100 kilowatts. Air cooling cannot manage the thermal output at these levels, making advanced liquid cooling mandatory. Integrating liquid cooling, power conversion, and compute hardware on a construction site introduces logistical delays.

Flex announced an expanded portfolio of prefabricated modular data center solutions on Monday, Oct. 12, to address these challenges. The new product line features Axiom AI Modules, which integrate 800-volt direct current power racks, high-density compute infrastructure, and advanced cooling distribution units. Instead of shipping discrete components to a facility for on-site assembly, Flex builds and tests these integrated systems in a controlled factory environment.

According to Flex, this modular, factory-built approach can reduce deployment timelines by up to 50% compared with traditional construction methods. While site developers pour concrete and install high-voltage utility lines, Flex can manufacture and test the compute and cooling infrastructure in parallel. Delivering fully integrated systems addresses a major deployment challenge for hyperscalers racing to bring capacity online.

Constructing Multiples: Separating Legacy From InfrastructureThe modular product launch adds to the growth opportunity behind a major corporate restructuring. In the first quarter of calendar 2027, Flex plans to spin off its cloud and power infrastructure segment as an independent, publicly traded entity named Axiom Solutions International. This separation isolates the high-margin data center hardware from the legacy electronic manufacturing services business.

The valuation disconnect here is central to the investment thesis. Historically, electronic manufacturing services businesses trade at forward price-to-earnings multiples of 18x to 25x because of the cyclical nature of consumer electronics and tight operating margins. Pure-play AI power and cooling infrastructure equities routinely command forward multiples between 30x and 45x, supported by highly visible, multi-year capital expenditure cycles from top-tier technology firms.

Flex currently trades at a forward price-to-earnings ratio near 27, with an aggregate market capitalization of roughly $43 billion. The recently announced preferred investment in Axiom establishes an initial enterprise valuation of $37.5 billion for the planned standalone company. That figure provides a reference point for investors, but it is not a guaranteed public-market valuation.

If the market prices Axiom at $37.5 billion, it values the legacy manufacturing business at just over $6.3 billion. The legacy business still generates the vast majority of Flex's historical top-line revenue. Blending these two distinct business models restricts multiple expansion, but the pending spin-off forces the market to re-rate the data center assets to infrastructure multiples.

Mergers, Capital, and the Standalone StubPreparing a multibillion-dollar infrastructure segment for independence requires significant balance sheet engineering. The planned acquisition of EPC Power for approximately $4.4 billion directly serves this transition. EPC Power brings critical grid-scale inverter and 800-volt power-conversion intellectual property in-house. This technology dictates how utility-grade power is stepped down and distributed to the high-density AI racks, giving Axiom control over the entire power delivery lifecycle.

To establish a standalone capital structure, Flex announced an agreement for a $2 billion convertible preferred investment from entities including General Catalyst and Koch Equity Development. The agreement establishes an initial $37.5 billion enterprise valuation for Axiom, with conversion terms tied to that valuation. The financing is expected to help fund the EPC Power acquisition and strengthen Axiom's capital position ahead of the separation.

Investors need to evaluate the downside risks tied to this structure. Flex holds a guaranteed buyback obligation on those preferred shares if the separation fails to materialize by the Dec. 31, 2027 deadline. Market analysts also need to evaluate the earning power of the remaining manufacturing stub. Backing out the infrastructure segment, the legacy contract manufacturing business generated approximately 93 cents per share in fiscal year 2026. Today's buyers are betting that the combined value of Axiom shares and the legacy stub will exceed the current blended equity price.

Topping Out: Positioning Ahead of the Record DateInstitutional positioning is another factor investors may monitor ahead of the corporate action. Entities like Veracity Capital LLC and Insight Wealth Strategies LLC have initiated new positions. These allocations follow earlier positioning by hedge funds such as Third Point and Soros Capital Management, indicating that institutional capital is rotating into the AI power infrastructure thesis.

Insider activity shows a net selling trend over the past quarter. While insider selling can signal caution, it is a standard liquidity event following an appreciation of about 109% over the trailing 12 months. Executives frequently diversify portfolios after prolonged technical runs.

Market mechanics also indicate steady fundamental trading rather than speculative fervor. Short interest sits at roughly 2.4% of the float, representing around 8.9 million shares. With a days-to-cover ratio of roughly 2.5, the probability of a pre-spin short squeeze is nearly nonexistent. Flex's trajectory depends entirely on earnings execution and progress toward the 2027 separation.

Investors looking for exposure to the data center build-out may want to add Flex to their watchlist as the spin-off date approaches. The rollout of modular AI infrastructure strengthens the commercial offering of the business that is expected to become Axiom, although its standalone operating performance remains to be demonstrated. Cautious investors may prefer to wait for the company's fiscal second-quarter 2027 earnings report, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 28, to assess whether the core manufacturing segment can maintain stable cash flow ahead of the separation.
