Crédit Agricole prostřednictvím CACEIS vydává na Ethereu eurový stablecoin EURXT v souladu s MiCA. Startuje s počátečním oběhem 20,02 milionu tokenů a je určen pro institucionální klienty.
CACEIS Brings Institutional Euro Stablecoin to EthereumCrédit Agricole, Europe's third-largest bank by assets, has launched the EURO eXchange Token (EURXT), a euro-backed stablecoin issued through its asset-servicing arm, Crédit Agricole Caisse d'Epargne Investor Services (CACEIS). The token is designed for institutional and corporate clients as part of the group's broader push into tokenized financial infrastructure.
Compliant with the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulatory guidelines, EURXT launched with an initial circulating supply of 20.02 million tokens on Ethereum using the ERC-20 standard, backed 1:1 by euro-denominated cash held on CACEIS Bank's balance sheet. According to the project's white paper, there is no hard cap on EURXT issuance, meaning the supply can expand based on demand through its smart contract system.
One notable feature is that this is a bank-issued EMT, where the CACEIS balance sheet backs the token, with plans to segregate reserves internally, including CACEIS cash and up to 70% in highly liquid securities. The minimum subscription amount is set at €10,000, keeping the product firmly within institutional territory for now. The token will initially be made available to institutional and corporate clients of CACEIS, though the project's website indicates plans to support retail investors in the future.
First Use Case and Broader Market ContextAlongside the EURXT launch, Crédit Agricole announced the first subscription via EURXT into a tokenised Amundi money market fund, described as a European first. The token forms part of the group's ACT 2028 strategy, which includes the development of blockchain-based settlement and asset servicing tools.
The launch comes a year after CACEIS secured a MiCA crypto-asset service provider (CASP) license from French regulators in June 2025. The launch of EURXT adds to a wave of fresh stablecoin launches both in Europe and globally as traditional finance and crypto-native companies compete to issue regulated digital euros and dollars. HSBC and BNP Paribas, Europe's top two banks by assets, last September joined the Canton Foundation to accelerate tokenization of institutional real-world assets, while a separate consortium of major European lenders including ING, UniCredit, and BNP Paribas is also preparing a competing MiCA-compliant euro stablecoin under the Qivalis venture.
For Crédit Agricole, the EURXT debut represents a concrete step beyond regulatory preparation. With a fully operational EMT on a public blockchain, the bank is positioning CACEIS as a gateway for institutional capital flows into tokenized markets under Europe's mature MiCA framework.

Vznikla nezávislá nezisková organizace Ethereum Institutional, která má urychlit institucionální adopci Etherea. Cílí na banky, správce aktiv a firmy při využití tokenizace, stablecoinů a další onchain infrastruktury.
A new independent nonprofit, Ethereum Institutional, has launched to accelerate institutional adoption of Ethereum, providing banks, asset managers and other enterprises with a neutral point of contact as they evaluate the blockchain for tokenization, stablecoins and other financial applications. The launch comes as the Ethereum Foundation narrows its focus to stewarding the core protocol, with independent organizations like EthLabs emerging to take on ecosystem functions such as research & development.A new independent non-profit, Ethereum Institutional, has launched with the goal of accelerating institutional adoption of Ethereum, its layer-2 networks and the broader ecosystem.
The organization is led by David Walsh, Marius Smith and Matthew Dawson. Walsh previously led the Ethereum Foundation's enterprise efforts, while the organization said its leadership brings experience spanning institutional engagement, capital markets and Ethereum ecosystem development. It said its mission is to provide institutions with a neutral, independent point of contact as they evaluate Ethereum for tokenization, stablecoins and other onchain financial infrastructure.
In announcing the initiative on X, Ethereum Institutional said institutions need "a credible, independent front door" to the Ethereum ecosystem. While Ethereum's neutrality is one of its defining strengths, the group argued, that neutrality has often left enterprises without a clear organization to engage as they make long-term infrastructure decisions.
The launch comes as the Ethereum Foundation continues to narrow its role to stewarding the core protocol, with ecosystem participants increasingly spinning up independent organizations focused on specific areas such as business development, institutional outreach and developer support. The shift follows broader changes at the foundation, including leadership restructuring and longstanding community calls for greater transparency.
Ethereum Institutional is also the latest addition to a growing network of Ethereum-focused organizations. It follows the launch of EthLabs, another initiative aimed at strengthening Ethereum's ecosystem, as the network seeks to capitalize on growing institutional interest in tokenization, stablecoins and blockchain-based financial markets.
The non-profit said its work will focus on institutional engagement, market intelligence, ecosystem marketing, industry research and events. It launched with backing from BitMine, Nasdaq-listed SharpLink Gaming and Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin, with additional institutional and individual supporters expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
"The world's largest institutions are deciding where tokenization, stablecoins, and onchain markets will settle," the organization said. "We're ready to make Ethereum the base layer for institutional finance."

Podíl ETH ve stakingu poprvé překročil 33 % a dosáhl nového historického maxima 33,06 %. Tím se snižuje likvidní nabídka, i když ETH zůstává pod tlakem.
TL;DR Ethereum’s staking rate has climbed above 33% for the first time, setting a new all-time high. Around 33.06% of the total ETH supply is now locked in staking, reducing the liquid supply in circulation. A newly created wallet withdrew 9,876 ETH worth $15.4 million from Binance and staked the entire amount. Ethereum price continues to hold above the $1,550 support level, while $1,700 remains a key resistance to watch. Ethereum staking participation has reached a new milestone, with the network’s staking rate climbing above 33% for the first time since the Merge upgrade. According to CryptoQuant data, approximately 33.06% of the total ETH supply is now locked in staking, marking a new all-time high even as the Ethereum price remains near $1,500.
The latest figures highlight a growing divergence between investor behavior and market performance. While Ethereum’s price has moved through several periods of volatility, staking participation has continued to rise steadily, suggesting that many long-term holders are choosing to lock up their ETH rather than sell during the current market downturn.
Adding to the trend, blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain reported that a newly created wallet withdrew 9,876 ETH, valued at approximately $15.4 million, from Binance before staking the entire amount.
Ethereum Staking Reaches Record High as Investors Lock Up More ETH CryptoQuant’s data shows Ethereum’s staking rate has maintained a consistent upward trajectory since the network transitioned to Proof-of-Stake. The latest increase to 33.06% means that roughly one-third of the total ETH supply is now committed to staking, reducing the amount of Ether available in circulation.
ETH Staking Data | Source: CryptoQuant The continued growth in staking participation suggests that investors remain committed to Ethereum’s long-term outlook despite ongoing market uncertainty. Instead of moving assets to exchanges for potential selling, more holders are choosing to secure the network while earning staking rewards.
Although a rising staking rate does not guarantee an immediate increase in Ethereum price, it does reduce the liquid supply of ETH. If market demand strengthens in the future, a smaller circulating supply could support stronger price movements.
Ethereum Price Holds Key Support but Faces Resistance Ahead While staking continues to set new records, Ethereum price remains under pressure. At the time of the accompanying data, ETH was trading near $1,571, while the CryptoQuant chart showed the asset around the $1,500 level as staking reached its highest level on record.
Technical charts by analysts indicate that Ethereum has so far managed to hold above the $1,550 support area, even as Bitcoin fell to a new yearly low. According to the analyst’s view provided with the chart, Ethereum has displayed relative strength compared with Bitcoin during the recent market decline.
1-day ETH/USDT Chart | Source: X However, the analysis also notes that ETH is not yet out of danger. The chart identifies $1,700 as a key resistance level, indicating that Ethereum would need to reclaim that area before the risk of another move lower begins to ease.
For now, the data points to a market where long-term participation continues to strengthen despite short-term price weakness. With staking at a record high and more ETH being removed from the liquid supply, investor conviction appears to remain intact even as Ethereum price continues to trade below key resistance levels.
EthLabs, nové neziskové výzkumné uskupení, vzniklo uprostřed zásadní personální proměny Ethereum Foundation. Má doplnit práci nadace hlavně v adopci a technickém rozvoji Etherea.
Welcome to The Protocol, CoinDesk’s tech newsletter covering the most important stories in blockchain. I’m Margaux Nijkerk, a reporter at CoinDesk.
We’re giving you a deeper look at the biggest trends, breakthroughs and debates shaping blockchain technology each week.
This week, we’re diving into the creation of EthLabs, and why it was launched during a period of transition for the Ethereum ecosystem.
EthLabs, Ethereum’s newest nonprofit research organization, has demurred at insinuations that it is attempting to replace a struggling Ethereum Foundation. Instead, its founders, former leaders of the foundation, argue it's a response to a changing Ethereum ecosystem, one where the foundation is narrowing its focus while new organizations step in to tackle broader adoption.
The timing of EthLabs' launch calls that into question.
The organization publicly unveiled itself just one day before there were major layoffs at Ethereum Foundation, and only a few days after co-executive director Hsiao-Wei Wang announced her resignation, adding to what has become a period of significant turnover at Ethereum's most influential institution. Since January, at least nine prominent members of the Ethereum Foundation have departed as the organization undergoes a broader strategic realignment.
For many observers, the departures have fueled questions about the foundation's future role and whether Ethereum's governance model is entering a new chapter. According to EthLabs executive director Ansgar Dietrichs, that transition is exactly why the organization was created.
"We looked around, didn't see anyone else stepping up," Dietrichs told CoinDesk in an interview. "After two months of that, we looked at each other and said, 'Well, if no one else is stepping up, then it has to be us.'"
Dietrichs, along with four other former Ethereum Foundation researchers and developers, some of whom left the foundation just this year to launch EthLabs, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing Ethereum's technical roadmap with a stronger emphasis on real-world adoption.
The creation comes as Dietrichs describes Ethereum as entering a fundamentally different phase of its evolution. "The decade of infrastructure build-out of Ethereum is coming to an end," he said. "Now it's much more about actual institutional adoption."
Over the past decade, Ethereum's developer community focused on building the foundational pieces of the network: from smart contracts and decentralized finance to scaling technologies and layer-2 networks. With those building blocks largely in place, Dietrichs believes the next challenge is ensuring Ethereum can support large-scale financial infrastructure.
"I don't think crypto and Ethereum will ever go back to a time like it was in the past," he said, arguing that the ecosystem has moved beyond the boom-and-bust cycles that previously defined it.
That transition has also reshaped the Ethereum Foundation itself.
Earlier this year, the foundation published a renewed mandate emphasizing Ethereum's core values: including credible neutrality, self-sovereignty and open infrastructure, while reducing its involvement in some implementation-focused initiatives. Combined with ongoing budget constraints, the shift has resulted in restructuring across the organization.
Dietrichs views those changes less as a crisis than an overdue evolution. "It's more a transition period," he said. "Ethereum is now much more intentionally, proactively reorienting itself to be ready for this new time period."
Filling in the gapsBut as the turmoil started to unveil itself at the EF, many have started to wonder whether EthLabs would replace it. Dietrichs sees that rather than competing with the foundation, EthLabs intends to complement it. "We're deliberately positioning ourselves to fill the gaps that the Ethereum Foundation now deliberately leaves," Dietrichs said. "We're not trying to create a competing vision for Ethereum."
Those gaps, he argues, center on adoption-oriented engineering work, like improving Ethereum's scalability, strengthening layer-1 performance, advancing interoperability, and identifying the technical barriers preventing broader institutional use.
"The gap we see is this more practical, adoption-oriented work, making Ethereum, practically useful for the real world," he said. EthLabs plans to continue work its founders previously led within the foundation, including layer-1 scaling research, while expanding into areas like interoperability and engagement with financial institutions exploring blockchain infrastructure.
For that, Dietrichs deliberately chose to structure the organization as a nonprofit, and its sole objective is supporting Ethereum's long-term success rather than generating commercial returns. "The only interest is we help Ethereum," Dietrichs said. "There's no other incentive we have other than we help Ethereum."
A broader vision for EthereumThe changes come as the direction of the Ethereum network is heading for a revamp. For Dietrichs, EthLabs is about more than protocol development. He believes Ethereum itself needs a clearer narrative for what comes next.
"Ten years ago everyone knew what Ethereum was trying to achieve," he said. "Today it's not so clear that there's a shared answer." He sees the coming years as defining Ethereum's role in an increasingly onchain financial system.
"I think there's a world in which Ethereum really is at the very center of the global financial system as it comes onchain," he said.
Whether EthLabs succeeds remains to be seen. As a newly formed nonprofit, it must establish its own funding base while proving it can influence Ethereum's technical direction outside the foundation.
But its emergence reflects something larger than the creation of another Ethereum organization. Many at the top of the industry are pushing for a broader redistribution of responsibility across the ecosystem, one where the foundation is becoming a steward of the protocol's core values, while independent organizations like EthLabs take on the work of driving adoption and implementation.

Americké spotové Bitcoin ETF zaznamenaly v červnu čisté odlivy 4,5 miliardy USD, nejvíc od spuštění v lednu 2024. Nejvíc utrpěl IBIT od BlackRocku s odlivem 3,55 miliardy USD.
US-listed Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $4.5 billion in net outflows during June 2026. This was the worst monthly figure since the products launched in January 2024.
The redemptions coincided with a sharp price decline. Bitcoin fell 20.48% over the month, its steepest monthly drop since June 2022, when the asset shed 37.28% during that cycle’s collapse.
IBIT Leads the Institutional RetreatJune’s outflows broke the previous monthly record of $3.56 billion, set in February 2025 during an earlier stretch of market stress.

Bitcoin ETF Monthly Flows. Source: SoSoValueBlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) accounted for the bulk of the outflows. The fund alone shed $3.55 billion, close to 79% of the category’s total redemptions.
That concentration is striking. IBIT’s single-fund outflow nearly matched the entire category’s prior monthly record on its own.
The price data reinforces the pressure. Bitcoin closed four of 2026’s first six months in negative territory, with June’s 20.48% decline the deepest of the year.
How Crypto ETFs Performed in June 2026The weakness extended beyond Bitcoin, though the scale varied across categories. Ethereum (ETH) ETFs posted $528.99 million in June outflows, SoSoValue data showed.
Solana (SOL) ETFs recorded net outflows of roughly $786,580. The figure is small, but it marks the first monthly outflow for Solana ETFs since their launch, ending a run of positive months.
Top Crypto ETFs Performance in June. Source: BeInCryptoNot every category turned negative. XRP (XRP) ETFs drew $59.46 million in net inflows during June, holding positive despite the broader downturn.
Hyperliquid (HYPE) ETFs led the group with $161.05 million in inflows, the strongest June showing across the products.
The split suggests capital rotated within crypto rather than exiting entirely. Newer altcoin products absorbed fresh money even as the two largest categories saw sustained redemptions.
Whether that rotation hardens will depend on how Bitcoin trades in July, since a price rebound could pull capital back toward the incumbents.

Tchajwanský parlament schválil zákon, který zavádí licencování pro VASP a vyžaduje plné krytí u emitentů stablecoinů. Trh to vnímá jako pozitivní impuls pro Bitcoin a Ethereum.
Taiwan’s legislature has enacted a new law establishing comprehensive regulations for crypto platforms and stablecoin issuers, marking a significant shift from the previous anti-money laundering registration system. The legislation introduces a formal licensing regime for virtual asset service providers (VASPs) and mandates that stablecoin issuers maintain full reserve backing in domestic financial institutions. The move aligns Taiwan with regional trends towards enhanced oversight of digital assets and indicates a major step into the regulated crypto era. This development is viewed by market participants as a potential boost for Bitcoin and Ethereum, given the positive regulatory clarity in a key Asian market.

Key Takeaways Taiwan’s regulatory move appears to provide a boost to Bitcoin’s prospects, with market pricing indicating increased confidence in achieving higher price targets. The regulatory clarity in Taiwan suggests a potential increase in institutional interest in cryptocurrencies, which could positively impact future price predictions. Market activity reflects a supportive stance towards Ethereum’s market sentiment, albeit with less direct impact compared to Bitcoin. What to Watch Observers should monitor how the new regulations influence institutional behavior towards Bitcoin and Ethereum in Taiwan. The timeline for existing VASPs to obtain full licenses and achieve regulatory approval could be a key indicator of market adaptation. Further developments in regional regulatory stances may continue to shape market dynamics and influence investor confidence in digital assets.

SharpLink koupila dalších 10 000 ETH za 16,1 milionu USD a navýšila své držení na 886 725 ETH. Ethereum je přesto na cestě k třetímu čtvrtletnímu poklesu v řadě.
SharpLink has expanded its Ethereum treasury with another 10,000 ETH purchase even as the cryptocurrency has remained on course for its third consecutive quarterly decline.
Summary
SharpLink bought another 10,000 ETH for $16.1 million, increasing its Ethereum holdings to 886,725 ETH. Ethereum is on track for its first-ever third consecutive quarterly loss despite continued treasury accumulation. Bitmine now holds more than 5.7 million ETH, adding to institutional buying as analysts watch the $1,500 support level. According to a company press release, SharpLink acquired the latest 10,000 ETH at an average price of $1,611 per token, spending approximately $16.1 million on the purchase.
The transaction increases the company’s total Ethereum holdings to 886,725 ETH and follows a $75 million capital raise completed through a registered stock offering.
SharpLink continues building its Ethereum treasury Alongside the latest crypto purchase, SharpLink stepped up its capital management efforts by repurchasing more than 2.13 million shares of its common stock, SBET, at an average price of $4.69 per share.
The company said it has now bought back over 4.07 million shares since August 2025. Despite those moves, SBET shares were trading around $4.72 at the time of writing, down nearly 4% on the day.
Source: Yahoo Finance Recent corporate developments have also added to the company’s profile. Earlier this week, SharpLink joined the Russell 2000 and Russell 3000 indexes, extending its presence in major U.S. equity benchmarks while continuing to increase its Ethereum reserves.
SharpLink is not the only listed company expanding its exposure to Ethereum. As crypto.news reported on Monday, Ethereum treasury firm Bitmine purchased another 27,084 ETH during the past week, lifting its holdings to more than 5.7 million ETH.
Based on the company’s figures, those reserves now account for about 4.7% of Ethereum’s estimated circulating supply of 120.7 million ETH, bringing Bitmine closer to its previously stated target of holding 5% of the network’s supply.
Earlier this month, crypto.news also examined the implications of treasury companies accumulating increasingly large portions of Ethereum. The report noted that sustained buying could reduce the amount of ETH available for trading, although concentrated ownership may create additional risks if companies later need to fund operations through debt, equity issuance, or asset sales during weaker market conditions.
Ethereum remains under pressure despite corporate buying Even as treasury companies continue adding to their holdings, Ethereum (ETH) has struggled to regain upward momentum. At the time of writing, ETH traded near $1,560, down about 1% on the day and roughly 25% for the quarter.
Ethereum price chart — June 30 | Source: crypto.news Current market performance also places Ethereum on track to record its third straight quarterly loss, a result that would be the first such streak in the asset’s history if the quarter closes at current levels.
Some analysts nevertheless see the recent weakness as a key technical test rather than a definitive breakdown. According to crypto analyst Ted Pillows, Ethereum could stage a relief rally next month if it manages to hold support around $1,500.
The analyst’s chart also outlined the downside risk if that level fails. Under that scenario, Ted Pillows said Ethereum could fall toward $1,400 or lower, underscoring that price direction in the coming weeks may depend on whether buyers continue defending the current support zone despite ongoing accumulation by treasury firms.
Ondo Finance přidala na Uniswap přes 430 tokenizovaných amerických akcií a ETF na Ethereum a BNB Chain. Obchodování je dostupné on-chain 24/7 pro oprávněné neamerické uživatele.
Ondo Finance Brings 430+ Tokenized Equities to Uniswap@OndoFinance has officially integrated more than 430 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs into the @Uniswap ecosystem, making the assets accessible directly through the Uniswap frontend on both @Ethereum and @BNBChain. The move connects two of DeFi's most prominent platforms and opens up round-the-clock on-chain access to some of the world's most traded equities for eligible non-U.S. participants.
Ondo Finance expanded its Global Markets offering by adding 173 tokenized stocks and ETFs earlier this month, bringing the platform's total catalog to more than 430 assets spanning Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain. The Uniswap integration now routes those assets through the broader decentralized liquidity network.
Uniswap has integrated tokenized securities from issuers including Ondo, xStocks, and Backed, allowing users to trade on-chain versions of assets like SpaceX, Apple, Tesla, and NVIDIA that track underlying stock prices through the Uniswap web app, wallet, and API. The integration uses Uniswap v4 hooks for compliance features such as KYC and allowlists.
UniswapX Routing and 24/7 On-Chain TradingThe assets are routable through the UniswapX API, enabling efficient order execution and deep liquidity for continuous on-chain equity trading. This is a meaningful step beyond traditional market hours: Ondo is live with 24/7 instant minting and redemption on tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs, including on weekends, now across Ethereum and BNB Chain, with Solana coming soon.
Ondo Global Markets gives non-U.S. investors on-chain access to publicly traded U.S. stocks and ETFs, with each token backed 1:1 by the underlying security, purchased and held in custody by a U.S.-registered broker-dealer. The tokens provide holders with economic exposure to the value of the underlying publicly traded assets, including dividends, but are not themselves stocks or ETFs and do not provide rights to hold or receive the underlying assets.
Tokenized stocks have emerged as the fastest-growing asset class on Ethereum in 2026, with Ondo and xStocks leading the sector, according to Token Terminal data. Ondo Global Markets is also the primary issuer behind BNB Chain overtaking Solana in cumulative tokenized stock trading volume. The Uniswap integration adds another layer of distribution and liquidity to a product category that is growing rapidly across decentralized finance.

BitMine zpomalila nákupy ETH a minulý týden koupila 27 084 ETH, zatímco spotové ETH ETF zaznamenaly sedmý týden čistých odlivů v řadě, nejvíce od ledna, a to ve výši 273,3 milionu USD.
Ethereum price today: $1,580BitMine acquired 27,084 ETH last week following its inclusion in the Russell 1000 index.ETH ETFs recorded a seventh straight week of outflows and their largest weekly negative flow since January.ETH briefly recovers to $1,600 but faces key descending trendline resistance.Ethereum (ETH) treasury firm BitMine Immersion slowed the pace of its accumulation of the top altcoin following increased weakness across the crypto market.
The Las Vegas-based firm purchased 27,084 ETH last week, increasing its total holdings to 5.7 million ETH worth $9.22 billion at the time of writing. Last week's purchase represents its fourth-lowest so far this year.
BitMine also increased its staked assets by 160,480 ETH during the period. Its total staked ETH is now at 4.879 million ETH, earning annualized staking revenue of $211 million.
The move comes as ETH continues to experience strong risk-off sentiment across the board. Last week, US spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded a seventh consecutive week of net outflows and their largest negative flow since January worth $273.3 million, per SoSoValue data. The products are currently in their longest weekly outflow streak.
"This past week was a challenging one for crypto investors as ETH fell by 8%, even as Ethereum witnessed notable positive developments such as the creation of Ethlabs, and even the Bank of England softened its stance around stablecoins," said BitMine Chairman Thomas Lee in a Monday statement. "We are nearing quarter-end for June, and it is not surprising to see ‘window dressing’ leading to investors reducing their holdings in assets which have fallen in the past 3 months."
Meanwhile, BitMine was added to the Russell 1000 Large Cap index last week following the index's annual reconstitution. The company claims the Investment Company Institute (ICI) estimates that 20% of a company's shares are held in passive funds and ETFs.
“Being added to the Russell 1000 is expected to add hundreds and possibly thousands of additional institutional investors as equity owners of BitMine,” added Lee.
Last week, BitMine, together with ETH treasury SharpLink, also announced that it will fund the recently launched Ethereum research and development non-profit Ethlabs.
BitMine shares closed trading with a 1.77% gain on Monday, but remained below its net asset value.
Ethereum Price Forecast: ETH struggles at descending trendline resistanceOn the daily chart, ETH is extending its bearish bias, with price remaining well below the 20-, 50- and 100-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs), clustered between roughly $1,670 and $2,004.
The top altcoin remains trapped beneath the descending resistance trendline, with the break level near $1,626, while momentum indicators stay soft: the Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 35 and the Stochastic at 26 both hint at lingering downside pressure, with only modest signs of stabilization.
On the topside, initial resistance is seen at the trendline break area around $1,626, followed by the 20-day EMA at $1,670 and the horizontal barrier at $1,741. A sustained recovery above $1,806 and the 50-day EMA at $1,826 would be needed to ease the current bearish tone, with further hurdles at $1,909 and the 100-day EMA at $2,004.
ETH/USDT daily chartOn the downside, immediate support is near $1,524, ahead of a deeper floor at $1,404, while a break below $1,155 would expose a more pronounced medium-term bearish extension.

Americké spotové Bitcoin ETF zaznamenaly odliv 231 mil. USD a prodlužují sérii na osm dní v řadě. Spotové Ethereum ETF tentýž den ztratily 30 mil. USD.
US spot Bitcoin ETFs hemorrhaged $231 million on June 29, extending a painful streak to eight consecutive days of net withdrawals. Spot Ethereum ETFs joined the exodus with $30 million leaving the same day, according to data from SoSoValue.
The June rout by the numbers The $231 million Bitcoin outflow on June 29 wasn’t even the worst single day this month. On June 10, Bitcoin ETFs saw $214 million in redemptions while Ethereum products lost $35.6 million.
June 2026 is on pace for over $4 billion in total outflows from US spot Bitcoin ETFs. That would make it the largest monthly decline since these products first hit the market in January 2024.

BlackRock’s IBIT, the dominant fund in the space, has been a significant contributor to the recent redemptions.
On the Ethereum side, the $30.043 million net outflow on June 29 is smaller in absolute terms but still part of a broader negative trend. Ethereum ETFs have historically shown mixed flow patterns, oscillating between modest inflows and outflows. But June has tilted firmly negative.
What’s driving the pullback The short answer: macroeconomics. Rising interest rates make safe-haven assets like Treasury bonds more attractive relative to volatile ones like crypto. When a money market fund pays you a competitive yield for doing essentially nothing, the case for sitting in Bitcoin through a choppy stretch gets harder to make, especially for institutional allocators who answer to risk committees and compliance officers.
What’s changed is the duration and consistency of the selling. Previous outflow episodes tended to reverse within a few days as dip-buyers stepped in. Eight straight days without a positive session suggests something more structural is happening beneath the surface.
What this means for investors For traders watching this space, a few things are worth monitoring closely. First, whether the outflow streak breaks. Second, keep an eye on IBIT specifically. BlackRock’s fund is the bellwether for institutional sentiment in crypto ETFs.
Third, watch the macro calendar. Any shift in Fed rate expectations, whether from economic data surprises or central bank commentary, could rapidly change the calculus for institutional allocators. Crypto’s correlation with rate-sensitive assets means that a dovish surprise could reverse outflows just as quickly as hawkish expectations triggered them.

A whale invested $1.11 million to open a 3x long position of 8,253.89 ETH.
According to on-chain analyst Ai Yi (@ai_9684xtpa), a certain whale added 1.11 million USDC in margin to Hyperliquid one hour ago, then opened an ETH long position worth $13.05 million, with an entry price of $1,581.9 and a liquidation price of $1,078.5.
Circle spálila na Ethereu USDC za 250 milionů USD a na Solaně vydala nové USDC za 910 milionů USD. Čistý přesun likvidity činí 660 milionů USD ve prospěch Solany.
Circle just pulled a quarter-billion dollars worth of USDC off Ethereum and stamped out $910 million in fresh tokens on Solana. Think of it as moving cash between registers at a store, except the registers are blockchains and the cash is the second-largest stablecoin in crypto.
The net effect: a $660 million liquidity swing toward Solana.
How the burn-and-mint machine works Circle manages USDC supply through what it calls the Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol, or CCTP. The mechanics are straightforward: burn tokens on one chain, mint an equivalent amount on another. Every USDC in circulation is supposed to be backed 1:1 by cash and cash equivalents, so these operations don’t change the total supply. They just change where the tokens live.
The $250 million Ethereum burn and $910 million Solana issuance fit a pattern that’s been accelerating throughout 2026. Earlier in June, Circle minted $1 billion USDC on Solana in a single day. Days before that, there was a $500 million Solana mint. The cumulative gross issuance on Solana has been approaching $57 billion for the year.
USDC’s total circulation sits at approximately $73.6 billion as of late June 2026. The stablecoin is now native on over 30 networks.
Why the migration matters The institutional angle has gotten more concrete this month. Circle expanded its partnership with BNY Mellon in June 2026, enabling direct mint and burn capabilities through the bank’s custody services. That means institutional clients can now create and destroy USDC without going through Circle’s standard pipeline.
What this means for investors For Solana, more USDC on the network means deeper liquidity pools, tighter spreads on decentralized exchanges, and more attractive conditions for both traders and protocol developers.
The BNY Mellon partnership adds another layer to consider. Institutional access to direct minting and burning means that large players can respond to market conditions faster than ever.
Tether’s USDT still dominates overall stablecoin market share, but USDC’s multi-chain expansion and emphasis on full reserve transparency have carved out a distinct institutional niche. The $73.6 billion in circulation represents significant ground gained.
The risk worth flagging: concentrated minting on any single chain creates dependency. If Solana experienced a significant outage or security event, having tens of billions of USDC sitting on the network would create redemption pressure that could test Circle’s operational capacity.

Bitmine Immersion Technologies (NYSE: $BMNR), chaired by @fundstrat's Tom Lee, has expanded its sovereign Ethereum reserve to 5,700,040 $ETH, placing the firm in control of 4.7% of the total circulating supply of 120.7 million tokens, according to a filing with the SEC.
World's Largest Corporate ETH TreasuryThe company's combined crypto, cash, and marketable securities holdings stand at $9.8 billion, cementing its position as the world's largest corporate Ethereum treasury. Bitmine's crypto holdings rank as the number one Ethereum treasury and number two global crypto treasury, behind Strategy Inc. (NASDAQ: MSTR). The firm has set an explicit target it calls the "alchemy of 5%," aiming to hold 5% of all circulating $ETH sometime in 2026. As of its latest disclosure, Bitmine is 94% of the way to that goal in just 11 months.
A significant portion of those holdings is already put to work. The company has 4,879,157 ETH staked, representing $7.7 billion at $1,569 per ETH, through its MAVAN (Made in America VAlidator Network) platform. Annualized staking revenues are projected at around $230 million.
Russell 1000 Inclusion and $BMNP Preferred Stock Bitmine was added to the Russell 1000 Index, with the inclusion becoming effective following the 2026 Russell U.S. Index reconstitution. The Russell 1000 is one of the main U.S. large-cap equity benchmarks, and inclusion typically brings fresh demand from funds that track it, increasing liquidity in the stock.
The company has also bolstered its balance sheet through the capital markets. On June 10, Bitmine closed an offering of 3,500,000 shares of its 9.50% Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock at $80.00 per share, receiving net proceeds of approximately $273.8 million after underwriting discounts and expenses. The Series A Preferred Stock trades on the NYSE under the symbol $BMNP, with dividends scheduled to be paid weekly. The company intends to use the proceeds to buy more Ethereum and other digital assets and scale its MAVAN staking and validator infrastructure.
On the broader strategic outlook, Lee has pointed to tokenization and artificial intelligence as key demand drivers for Ethereum. "The best years for crypto remain ahead, in our view. Tokenization and the rapid progress in AI are expected to drive exponential demand growth for blockchain and decentralized crypto," Lee stated.

Chainalysis uvedla, že útok reverse honeypot připravil Ethereum sandwich bota JaredfromSubway.eth o nejméně 7,5 milionu USD. Útočník zneužil jeho vlastní obchodní logiku a odčerpal Ether i stablecoiny.
Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis has published an in-depth examination of a sophisticated exploit that drained at least $7.5 million from JaredfromSubway.eth, widely regarded as Ethereum’s most active sandwich-attack operator. According to insights from Chainalysis, the incident unfolded over June 20–21, 2026, when an unknown attacker used a reverse honeypot to turn the bot’s own aggressive trading logic against it.
As explained by Chainalysis, these so-called sandwich attacks are a common maximal extractable value (MEV) tactic on Ethereum.
Bots monitor the public mempool for pending user transactions and insert their own orders around them.
They typically buy a token immediately before the victim’s purchase to push the price higher, then sell right after, profiting from the resulting slippage while the original trader receives a worse execution price.
JaredfromSubway.eth, operating pseudonymously since 2023, built one of the most successful versions of this strategy.
At its peak, the bot was among the network’s largest gas consumers and was estimated to have cost other traders roughly $60 million annually in unfavorable trades while generating tens of millions in profits for its operator.
The June exploit began weeks earlier when the attacker deployed 66 fake token contracts that closely mimicked legitimate assets such as WETH, USDC, and USDT.
These were paired with fabricated liquidity pools engineered to appear as profitable sandwich opportunities.
JaredfromSubway.eth’s bot, optimized for rapid detection of mempool activity, repeatedly interacted with the deceptive contracts.
In doing so, it granted token-spending approvals to the malicious smart contracts.
These approvals were never revoked and accumulated across multiple transactions.
Once sufficient approvals were in place, a tripwire smart contract controlled by the attacker activated.
A single coordinated transaction then swept the bot’s wallets, extracting approximately $7.5 million in Ether and stablecoins.
Chainalysis tracked the subsequent flow using its on-chain tools: the attacker quickly swapped the stablecoins for Ether to reduce freeze risk from issuers, distributed the funds across several wallets, and routed them through Tornado Cash. No recoveries have been reported.
The attack succeeded because the bot granted spending permissions to contracts it never properly vetted.
Chainalysis notes that the operator prioritized speed over basic due diligence, such as checking contract verification status on Etherscan or reviewing deployment history.
This oversight allowed the fake pools to function as an effective honeypot.
The incident carries broader lessons for DeFi participants.
Token approvals function as ongoing permissions that can remain active indefinitely unless explicitly revoked.
Many users—retail traders and automated systems alike—grant broad or unlimited spending rights to contracts they have never reviewed.
Chainalysis highlights the risks of interacting with newly deployed or unverified liquidity pools that lack an established track record.
The firm recommends regularly revoking unused approvals and exercising caution with unfamiliar contracts before approving any spending rights.
Even highly optimized MEV bots are not immune to deception when security hygiene is neglected.
The JaredfromSubway.eth case demonstrates that the same on-chain mechanisms enabling profitable trading can be weaponized by attackers who understand how these systems operate. As Chainalysis observes, protecting against such exploits requires consistent attention to approvals and contract verification, practices that apply equally to sophisticated operators and everyday DeFi users.
BitMine minulý týden přidala do bilance Ethereum za téměř 43 milionů USD a drží přes 5,7 milionu ETH v hodnotě kolem 9 miliard USD. Strategy naopak minulý týden Bitcoin nepřikoupila.
In brief BitMine added another $43 million in Ethereum to its balance sheet last week, despite falling prices. The firm now holds more than 5.7 million ETH valued around $9 billion. As BitMine continued its consistent purchases, top Bitcoin treasury firm Strategy did not add to its holdings last week. Leading Ethereum treasury firm BitMine Immersion Technologies stayed consistent in the face of declining crypto prices last week, adding nearly $43 million in ETH to its stash even while top Bitcoin treasury company Strategy opted against accumulating BTC.
The firm now holds more than 5.7 million ETH, valued around $9 billion. It also holds around 206 Bitcoin, worth $12.3 million.
“This past week was a challenging one for crypto investors as ETH fell by 8%, even as Ethereum witnessed notable positive developments such as the creation of Ethlabs, and even the Bank of England softened its stance around stablecoins,” said BitMine Chairman Tom Lee in a statement. (Disclaimer: Lee is an investor in Decrypt parent company, Dastan).
Ethlabs, a new nonprofit research and development lab dedicated to championing the future of the Ethereum network and its native asset, is financially backed by BitMine and competing treasury firm Sharplink.
Lee maintained that crypto's future looks bright, and said the firm “remains focused on the longer-term horizon,” highlighting tailwinds like agentic payments and institutional adoption of crypto rails.
“We are nearing quarter-end for June, and it is not surprising to see 'window dressing' leading to investors reducing their holdings in assets which have fallen in the past three months,” he said.
The firm’s primary treasury asset, ETH, has now fallen 22% in the last month of trading, recently trading hands at $1,567. At that mark, ETH is now 68% off its all-time high of $4,946.
Bitcoin has performed marginally better, dipping 19% in the last month of trading and more than 52% from its all-time high of $126,080, changing hands on Monday at $59,324.
As its primary treasury vehicle slides, so too have shares in BitMine (BMNR). The firm’s stock has fallen nearly 17% in the last five trading days and more than 31% in the last month of trading, recently trading at $13.21—down about 2.6% so far Monday.
Shares are now down more than 91% from a 52-week high of $161 established shortly after the firm adopted its Ethereum treasury strategy last June.
That crypto-amassing model was pioneered by Bitcoin giant Strategy and its co-founder and Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, who started aggressively accumulating BTC in 2020. While the firm had aggressively and consistently added BTC on a nearly weekly basis in recent years, it did not add to its holdings last week amid scrutiny of its preferred equity offering, STRC, which fell to new lows on Friday.
Instead, the firm approved plans to sell up to $1.25 billion worth of Bitcoin to build up its cash reserves to fuel dividend payments.

XRP dipped all the way to the 1 dollar mark on Friday, putting this key threshold to the test once again. As selling pressure remained strong throughout the week, market participants closely watched the US Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) index for May, one of the Federal Reserve’s preferred gauges of inflation. The data hinted that inflation is proving more persistent than anticipated, prompting a cautious tone toward riskier assets.
Short term scenarios dominate the XRP outlookOver the course of three straight days, XRP declined and tested the heavy trading zone around 1.06 dollars, seeing about 830 million XRP change hands at this level. However, buyers struggled to hold the support and the price retreated to the 1 dollar boundary.
Following Friday’s low, buying interest emerged and the recovery extended into Saturday. Over the past 24 hours, XRP has gained 2.95 percent, most recently trading at 1.07 dollars. The key near-term question is whether support at 1.06 dollars can be reestablished, allowing the bounce to continue.
Analysts now see three possible paths for XRP in the short run: a continued recovery, a period of sideways movement, or a decline below 1 dollar.
Alternatively, if the market waits for fresh direction, the price could remain stuck in a narrow band. However, should the current levels fail, a fresh drop below the psychological 1 dollar mark may become likely, drawing attention to previous zones of strong trading activity as potential supports.
According to crypto analyst Ali, if XRP breaks below the critical 1 dollar level, three key price supports come into focus. Roughly 923 million XRP changed hands at 0.80 dollars, 1.16 billion at 0.62 dollars, and 1.06 billion at 0.51 dollars—areas where heavy historical trading activity makes them likely candidates for a potential price floor.

For the first time, on-chain supply of RLUSD on the XRP Ledger has surpassed that on Ethereum. Data tracking Ripple stablecoins shows 810 million dollars’ worth of RLUSD now circulating on XRP Ledger, while supply on the Ethereum network remains at approximately 760 million dollars.
XRP Ledger is Ripple’s proprietary blockchain network, widely used for cross-border payment solutions. RLUSD—a stablecoin tied to the US dollar—is designed for both institutional and retail payments across different platforms within the Ripple ecosystem.
RLUSD’s in-circulation supply on XRP Ledger reached 810 million dollars, while on the Ethereum network, the figure stood at 760 million dollars.
Regulatory green light for RLUSD in JapanJapan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA) has now officially recognized RLUSD under the country’s Payment Services Act as a new kind of electronic payment instrument. This move paves the way for Ripple’s stablecoin product to be used within Japan’s regulated financial markets.
Plans are in place to offer RLUSD in Japan through SBI VC Trade, making it available to both institutional investors and individual users. SBI VC Trade operates as a crypto platform under the umbrella of Japan’s financial giant SBI Holdings, expanding its product lineup to include the new stablecoin.

Sharplink, the second-largest Ethereum [ETH] treasury company, purchased an additional 29,196 ETH for $46.7 million on the 27th of June. In fact, Lookonchain reported that the Ethereum DATs amassed 39,196 ETH, worth $62.4 million, over the last three days.
Source: Lookonchain/X This marks Sharplink’s second purchase after an eight‑month pause. The first occurred when the firm added 5,000 ETH through FalconX, worth about $7.88 million at an average price of $1,576. With these acquisitions, Sharplink now holds 868,699 ETH in total, including 22,102 staked tokens. Meanwhile, its stock closed at $4.81, up 5.48% from the prior trading day.
Sharplink vs. Bitmine Meanwhile, on the 22nd of June, Bitmine, the biggest Ethereum DAT, paid $92 million to acquire an additional 52,203 Ethereum. As of right now, Bitmine has 5,672,956 ETH worth $8.92 billion.
Bitmine’s Tom Lee also stressed that his firm plans to continue growing steadily through 2026 and ultimately accomplish the “alchemy of 5%.” Although Sharplink has not yet disclosed such plans, the ETH accumulation strategy has been relatively comparable.
Ethereum’s market dynamics paint a concerning picture All this happened as ETH was trading at $1,568.75, the lowest level since April 2025. Meanwhile, Ethereum’s Spot Taker CVD has lost some of its aggressive buying momentum, which is a major shift compared to June 2025.
Although buyers are still present in the market, their influence has waned. Unlike the strong accumulation phase seen a year ago, the current demand indicates buyer exhaustion.
Source: CryptoQuant Final Summary Sharplink added more ETH in the past three days, pushing its total ETH holding to 868,699 ETH in total. Sharplink’s stock price also jumped after the ETH accumulation, but ETH’s price was changing hands around the $1500 price level.
28 June 2026 | 13:38 Ethereum is ending the second quarter of 2026 in a rough spot: two consecutive double-digit negative quarters, a market cap that has slipped out of the global top 100 assets, and a derivatives market where buyers are present but unable to push price higher.
Key Takeaways Ethereum is closing Q2 2026 with two straight double-digit negative quarters. Its market cap has fallen out of the global top 100 assets. Buyers are active in derivatives, but price isn’t responding. The only comparable back-to-back negative Q1 and Q2 were in 2022; 2018 remains the sharpest downside risk scenario for what follows. One of the most telling signals is in the order flow. The Taker Buy/Sell Ratio sits at 1.13, meaning aggressive buyers are outnumbering sellers on Binance. Normally that pushes price up. It isn’t. The Fund Price at $12.59 has been declining since April despite that buying pressure, and that combination is the problem.
What it points to is absorption: the sell orders are large enough to neutralize the incoming buy flow without price responding. When buying pressure exists but price stays flat or falls, the more likely explanation, as the analysis frames it, is distribution, larger holders using bounces to exit, rather than accumulation building a base. It’s worth being precise that order-flow data can’t name who is selling; what it shows is buying being absorbed, and distribution is the reading that best fits that behavior.
On-chain data confirms who is doing the selling. Crypto analyst Ali Charts wrote on X that large-scale holders offloaded roughly 550,000 ETH over the past week, injecting $880 million in sell-side supply into the market. That selling pressure pushed ETH below its immediate $1,633 support floor, with the market now testing critical volume support at $1,583. According to URPD data cited by Ali Charts, losing that level opens a path toward extended liquidations, with the next high-volume demand zones sitting at $1,237 and $1,089 if distribution continues into next week.
2026 in Historical Context The quarterly numbers put the weakness in perspective. Q1 2026 finished at -29.26% and Q2 at -24.75%. The only year in ETH’s recorded history with a comparable back-to-back negative Q1 and Q2 was 2022, which posted -10.75% and -67.34% respectively. 2018 had a positive Q2 (+15.29%) before collapsing in Q3 (-48.69%) and Q4 (-41.62%), making it the relevant downside risk scenario rather than a structural match. In every other year that opened with a negative Q1, ETH recovered in Q2. 2026 has not followed that pattern.
Year Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4 2018 -46.61% +15.29% -48.69% -41.62% 2022 -10.75% -67.34% +24.09% -9.94% 2026 -29.26% -24.75% — — That matters for what comes next. The historical Q3 average is +7.4% with a median of +8.19%, and Q3 has been positive in the majority of recorded years, which may normally be an encouraging base rate. But there is some exceptions: in 2018 for example, Q3 came in at -48.69%. So the historical record cuts both ways, the typical Q3 is positive, but still sometimes it was sharply negative.
The Top-100 Milestone ETH falling out of the global top 100 assets by market cap isn’t a separate event, it’s a direct consequence of the price decline. It’s a measure of how far Ethereum’s market cap has compressed relative to the full universe of global assets, equities, commodities, and everything else ranked by size. The milestone is symbolic rather than mechanical, but it captures how much ground the asset has given up.
🚨 WILD: Ethereum is no longer a top 100 asset ranked by market cap. pic.twitter.com/9IRIBJMkq6
— Cointelegraph (@Cointelegraph) June 27, 2026
Pulling it together: the order flow shows buyers active but unable to move price, which most plausibly reflects larger holders distributing into strength; the quarterly record shows a two-quarter decline matched structurally only by 2022, with 2018 providing the sharpest downside risk scenario for what follows; and the market-cap milestone underlines the scale of the compression. None of this predicts where ETH goes next. The data describes a market under real structural pressure, with a forward path that the history can frame but not settle.
The signal worth watching into July is straightforward: whether this absorption pattern breaks toward heavier selling, or whether the steady buyer flow finally overcomes the resistance that has been capping it. That probably could give a sign on which way the pressure is resolving.
Ethereum is trading for $1,570 at the time of writing after 6.7% drop for the past 7 days, according to CoinMarketCap data.

That curiosity never stopped, and eventually pulled him into traditional markets too: equities, commodities, macro. Not because he left crypto behind, but because you can't properly understand one without the other. Alex finds that kind of reporting actively unhelpful. If you walk away from an article without understanding the mechanism behind the move, what did you actually learn? He holds a degree in Tourism from New Bulgarian University - not the most obvious path into financial markets, but markets have a way of pulling in people who are simply too curious to stay out. U spotových ETH ETF v USA přibylo dalších 12,85 mil. USD čistých odlivů, což dál oslabuje institucionální poptávku po Ethereu. Trh tak zůstává pod tlakem a býci mají problém obnovit růstový impuls.
Institutional appetite for Ethereum [ETH] continues to weaken as investors reduce exposure to risk assets amid uncertain market conditions. U.S. spot ETH ETFs recently recorded another $12.85 million in net outflows, extending a broader slowdown in fund demand despite cumulative net inflows remaining near $11 billion.
With this reduction, there will be less institutional capital available to buy Ethereum to help stabilize prices as they continue to decline.
Source: SoSoValue As such, Ethereum now relies more heavily on staking demand, layer-2 activity, and natural organic spot buying to help stabilize prices. If Ethereum network demand increases, then it is possible that the markets can begin to absorb some excess supply.
However, if institutional demand does not increase, then we should expect longer-term consolidation and increased vulnerability to sentiment-driven price movements.
ETH bears retain control despite buying pressure Institutional demand has already weakened, and derivatives activity now suggests bearish conviction is strengthening. Market structure may be decisively bearish unless spot flows and leverage flows simultaneously turn positive again.
Meanwhile, the fund price has declined steadily from its April peak to 12.59. This dynamic reflects a fading appetite for leveraged long positions. Moreover, this divergence shows that buyers, though appearing more aggressive, are becoming less effective, leaving bears firmly in control of short‑term price action.
Source: Arkham Although moving assets to this new address does not necessarily indicate that the person behind the transaction is planning to sell their asset. Yet, previous instances of like-sized on-chain asset movements have occurred before liquidity events, making subsequent wallet activity the key signal to monitor.
If the funds remain in self-custody, the transfer will likely reflect routine wallet management. However, deposits to exchanges or OTC counterparties could reinforce existing bearish sentiment and increase expectations of additional selling pressure.
Final Summary Ethereum remained vulnerable as weakening institutional demand and bearish market structure continue limiting recovery momentum. ETH needs stronger spot demand to offset selling pressure and restore sustained bullish momentum.
Na Ethereum Research byl zveřejněn návrh, který by část stakingových odměn přesměroval na financování veřejných statků. Jde zatím jen o ranou debatu o správě protokolu, ne o schválený návrh.
A proposal on Ethereum Research suggests redirecting part of staking rewards toward public goods funding. Supporters see sustainable decentralized funding, while critics warn of protocol-level overreach. The proposal is not approved and should be treated as an early governance debate. Staking Economics And Ethereum Governance: Why This Story Matters Ethereum Protocol Debate: Diverting Staking Rewards for Public Goods Funding Sparks Controversy has become one of the stronger weekend crypto stories because it sits at the intersection of price action, market structure, and the kind of narrative that traders tend to follow closely when the broader news cycle slows down.
The key point is not simply that the proposal was published on ethresear.ch. It is that the development gives the market a fresh way to judge whether the current crypto environment is being driven by genuine network adoption, regulatory progress, liquidity shifts, or short-term speculation.
The Main Details According to the official source material, the proposal was published on ethresear.ch. The report also notes that it suggests a protocol-level mechanism to redirect a portion of staking rewards to public goods funding.
That distinction matters because crypto markets often move first on headlines and only later separate durable developments from short-lived momentum. In this case, the verified boundaries are especially important: Do not claim this is approved or scheduled for a hard fork.
Market Context For traders, the story arrives at a moment when crypto assets are still trying to define a clearer direction. Bitcoin remains the anchor for broader sentiment, but altcoin narratives are increasingly being judged on their own fundamentals, including usage, liquidity, compliance, treasury activity, and developer progress.
That makes this development relevant beyond a single token or company. If the underlying trend proves durable, it could help shape how investors evaluate Ethereum, ETH, Staking, Governance, Public Goods over the coming weeks. If it fades, however, it may become another example of a strong weekend narrative that struggled to translate into sustained market follow-through.
What To Watch Next The next important question is whether the market receives further confirmation from primary sources, dashboards, official announcements, or on-chain data. Follow-up disclosures, exchange data, governance updates, or wallet activity could all help clarify whether this is an isolated headline or the start of a broader theme.
Readers should also watch whether liquidity responds. In crypto, even fundamentally meaningful developments can fail to move prices if traders remain defensive, leverage is being unwound, or capital is rotating into other sectors. That is why this story should be read alongside broader market structure rather than in isolation.

AMLBot potvrdil, že phishingový útok na Polymarket odčerpal zhruba 3,1 milionu USD v PUSD z 11 peněženek. Ukradené prostředky byly přesunuty z Polygonu na Ethereum a přeměněny na ETH.
Blockchain intelligence firm AMLBot has confirmed the Polymarket supply-chain attack total at approximately $3.1 million in PUSD across 11 user wallets, with funds bridged from Polygon to Ethereum and converted to ETH. Polymarket has pledged full refunds but has not named the compromised vendor.
Blockchain intelligence firm AMLBot has fixed the total stolen in Thursday's Polymarket supply-chain attack at approximately $3.1 million in PUSD, providing the first forensically confirmed on-chain dollar figure and tracing the stolen assets from Polygon to Ethereum. On-chain investigator Specter, which published the first public alert, identified more than 11 victim wallets.
AMLBot posted the revised tally on Saturday, two days after on-chain investigators first flagged the drain. The figure revises earlier estimates upward and, for the first time, pins both the dollar amount to a single on-chain intelligence source. AMLBot said it continues to monitor affected accounts as the investigation proceeds.
From Front-End to BridgeThe attack, covered by The Defiant on Thursday, began when a compromised third-party vendor injected malicious JavaScript into Polymarket's website. The code targeted user transactions at the front-end layer; Polymarket's smart contracts on Polygon were untouched. Polymarket confirmed fewer than 15 accounts were affected, consistent with scope described by on-chain security researchers tracking the wallets in real time.
On-chain investigator Specter published the first public alert and identified the attacker's primary consolidation address on Ethereum: `0xe65b1C586757c5510B60F998Eebb14C1eF71E1eD`. PeckShield confirmed the stolen funds were bridged from Polygon to Ethereum and then swapped into roughly 1,893 ETH. Bubblemaps independently counted fewer than 15 affected accounts and estimated $3 million in losses being refunded.
PUSD is Polymarket's native collateral token, a Polygon-based ERC-20 minted 1:1 against USDC.e through the platform's on-chain collateral contracts. Deployed in April 2026 per on-chain records, PUSD operates exclusively within the platform and carries no external exchange listing, so the attacker had to convert it to ETH to exit. The token held its $1.00 peg throughout the incident, per PolygonScan data for the pUSD contract on Polygon.
Refund Commitment, Vendor Still UnnamedPolymarket posted on X Thursday morning saying it had contained the attack, removed the malicious dependency, and would refund impacted users in full. William LeGate confirmed the repayment would be total, adding in a second post that there were "no user 'losses.'" The platform has not publicly named the compromised vendor across any channel since the incident was disclosed.
Initial independent estimates put the theft at $2.94 million, based on on-chain wallet tallies by Specter Analyst, while PeckShield and other firms rounded to roughly $3 million. AMLBot's Saturday update lifts the confirmed total by approximately $160,000 from Specter's initial read.
TechCrunch reported that a Polymarket spokesperson confirmed the breach but declined to provide further detail. Security researchers at CyberInsider and BleepingComputer both classified the incident as a supply-chain attack, the type where a downstream dependency injects hostile code into a trusted application, rather than a direct protocol exploit.
Platform ContextThe platform currently holds $432 million in total value locked on Polygon, per DefiLlama. Security trackers cataloguing Q2 2026 DeFi incidents have counted the June 25 Polymarket attack among a sustained wave of supply-chain and front-end compromises targeting DeFi infrastructure in 2026.
Polymarket has committed to refunding affected users in full but has set no public timeline for completion and has not disclosed the identity of the third-party vendor whose compromise triggered the attack.
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) have jointly called for public comment on their approach to harmonizing regulatory frameworks for crypto futures. The proposed public comment on the SEC CFTC framework comes amid the recent approval of crypto perpetual futures in the U.S.
Calls For Public Comment On SEC CFTC Framework In a press release, the SEC and CFTC issued a joint request for public comment on potential approaches to further harmonize regulatory frameworks applicable to portfolio margining across securities, security-based swaps, futures, swaps, and related positions. The public comment period will remain open for 60 days after the publication in the Federal Register. This is significant as the CFTC notably regulates prediction markets, which trade swaps.
Furthermore, this follows the launch of crypto perpetual futures in the U.S., with Kalshi securing CFTC approval to offer BTC, ETH, XRP, and HYPE futures. The request for public comment on the SEC CFTC framework also comes amid the rise in tokenized securities, with platforms such as Hyperliquid offering perpetuals for these securities.
The SEC and CFTC noted that the request for comment will assist them in evaluating whether greater coordination or alignment in portfolio margining requirements may improve risk management efficiency, reduce unnecessary market fragmentation, and enhance consumer protections.
Meanwhile, this marks the latest coordination between the SEC and CFTC towards providing clear frameworks that boost the crypto and financial markets. As CoinGape reported, the SEC and CFTC are pushing to clarify the definitions of derivative products, including definitions of swaps and security-based swaps, and how to treat them.
A Move To Further Promote Innovation SEC Chair Paul Atkins noted that further harmonizing the SEC CFTC framework will ensure that jurisdictional overlap does not stifle innovation and efficiency. “Cross-margining offers a clear opportunity to unlock liquidity that remains frozen in separate accounts, and we encourage market participants to provide feedback on ideas that will help improve coordination between both agencies,” he said.
Commenting on this move, CFTC Chair Michael Selig said that fostering enhanced cooperation between the two agencies on portfolio margining promises to unlock untapped capital while ensuring a more robust risk management framework and market protections. The CFTC is currently facing a lawsuit from the CME over its approval of crypto futures.
The CME argues that crypto perpetuals are swaps, not futures contracts, and that the regulator approved these products the wrong way. These crypto futures are already seeing significant demand, with Kalshi’s products recording over $1 billion in trading volume in under two weeks after they launched.
Polymarket dává 76% šanci, že Ethereum do konce roku 2026 spadne na 1 500 USD. ETH navíc čelí rekordním odlivům z ETF a odloženému upgradu Glamsterdam.
Polymarket traders assign a 76% probability that Ethereum will reach $1,500 before the end of 2026, reflecting near-total conviction in further downside from current levels. U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded 17 consecutive days of net outflows totaling $401 million in May 2026, setting the longest institutional withdrawal streak in ETH history. A confirmed death cross on the daily chart, where the 50-day EMA crossed below the 200-day EMA, preceded months of further decline in both prior Ethereum bear markets. The Glamsterdam protocol upgrade, originally targeting June 2026, has been delayed to Q3 2026, removing the primary near-term catalyst that bulls had used to anchor support. Ethereum trades below its 20-day, 50-day, and 100-day exponential moving averages, all clustered between $1,740 and $2,050, creating a dense resistance wall above current price action. Ethereum traded near $1,670 on June 25, 2026, holding just above a support zone that has protected every major low since the 2022 bear market bottom. The $1,500 level has drawn $3.9 million in total volume on Polymarket prediction markets alone, where traders now price a 76% chance that ETH reaches that threshold before year-end.
That conviction stems from a convergence of signals: record ETF outflows, a confirmed death cross, and a delayed protocol upgrade that had been the last remaining bullish catalyst for Q2.
This article examines the technical, fundamental, and on-chain data behind the growing consensus that $1,500 is no longer a floor but a destination, and what that shift means for positioning.
Record ETF Outflows Signal Institutional Retreat U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs logged 17 consecutive trading days of net outflows in May, totaling $401 million and setting a record for the longest institutional withdrawal streak Ethereum has experienced.
On June 23 alone, ETH ETFs recorded $82 million in net outflows, marking the fourth straight day of withdrawals as market caution grew amid U.S.-Iran tensions and shifting interest rate expectations. The institutional retreat contrasts sharply with the accumulation thesis that dominated late 2025.
When spot ETH ETFs launched, proponents argued that regulated institutional vehicles would create a persistent demand floor.
That thesis has not survived contact with a 65% drawdown from the approximately $4,950 all-time high reached in August 2025. Funding rates have turned negative and open interest has declined sharply, suggesting a leverage flush rather than a fresh uptrend, according to data reviewed by Cryptopolitan analysts.
Death Cross and Descending Channel Frame the Technical Picture A death cross confirmed on the daily chart when the 50-day exponential moving average crossed below the 200-day EMA. In Ethereum’s prior bear markets of 2018 and 2022, this signal preceded months of further decline before any sustained recovery began.
ETH currently trades below its 20-day, 50-day, and 100-day EMAs, all clustered between $1,740 and $2,050. That alignment creates a dense resistance wall. Analyst Ardi stated on X that ETH has one responsibility over the next four months: do not start closing below $1,500.
He noted the level has held every major low since the 2022 bottom, and losing it would force a reconsideration of bullish assumptions, Ardi wrote on June 24. Immediate support sits at $1,585, with a deeper floor at $1,468 if the current level fails.
Glamsterdam Delay Removes the Last Bullish Catalyst The Glamsterdam upgrade represents Ethereum’s most significant protocol change since the Merge. Originally targeting June 2026, the upgrade has been officially delayed to Q3 2026, removing the primary catalyst that bulls had been using to anchor a price floor for the current quarter.
Glamsterdam’s two headline components are Enshrined Proposer-Builder Separation (ePBS) and Block-Level Access Lists (BALs). The ePBS feature removes reliance on third-party MEV relays to match block builders with validators.
BALs enable parallel transaction execution by requiring each block to declare upfront which accounts it will read and write. A confirmed 200-million-gas limit floor was set at the Soldøgn Interop in April 2026, representing a 233% increase from the current limit.
Analysis: The delay matters because price catalysts derive their power from proximity. A Q2 upgrade creates a tradable event in the present quarter; a Q3 timeline pushes it into seasonal low-volume months, reducing the probability that institutional capital will front-run the event.
Prediction Markets Quantify the Downside Consensus Polymarket now prices a 76% chance that ETH hits $1,500 before year-end, while Kalshi shows 73%. That level of convergence across two independent prediction platforms is unusual.
The $1,500 zone aligns with a high-footprint anchored volume profile, according to Coinpedia analysis, meaning significant historical volume traded at that price, which can act as either support or a magnet for price.
Analyst James Easton compared Ethereum’s current weekly chart to the Russell 2000 index. The Russell 2000 has broken above its resistance near 2,500, but Ethereum remains below its equivalent zone near $4,300 to $5,100.
A confirmed move above approximately $5,100 could place Ethereum in price discovery, Easton noted, though that requires a reversal of the current downtrend as a prerequisite.
Regulatory Implications The SEC has not issued new guidance on spot Ethereum ETFs during the current drawdown. If outflows continue at the current pace, issuers may face pressure to reduce fees or restructure fund terms to stem redemptions.
The delayed Glamsterdam upgrade also raises questions about whether the SEC’s classification framework for ETH could shift if staking mechanics change significantly post-upgrade.
What’s Next? The immediate test is whether ETH can hold above $1,585 and reclaim $1,685 on a daily close. The Glamsterdam upgrade timeline in Q3 2026 provides the next fundamental catalyst. Prediction market pricing currently embeds an assumption that the $1,500 test is a matter of when, not if.

Čtyři neaktivní peněženky s ETH po téměř osmi letech prodaly 33 623 ETH za 52,5 milionu USD. Podle on-chain dat šlo o realizovaný zisk asi 27,4 milionu USD.
After remaining untouched for nearly eight years, four Ethereum wallets have suddenly reactivated and executed large-scale sales. On-chain data reveals that these wallets collectively offloaded 33,623 ETH within just four hours, at an average price of $1,560 per ETH.
Wallets awakened after years of inactivityThese four wallets originally accumulated a total of 37,602 ETH in 2018, buying in at an average price of around $830 per token. In the latest transactions, most of these holdings were transferred to exchanges and sold off. According to available information, the total proceeds from the sales reached $52.5 million.
Mini glossary: Lookonchain is an on-chain analytics account that tracks blockchain transfers and large wallet movements. Arkham is a blockchain data platform renowned for tracing wallet activity and associating addresses.
Movements tracked by Lookonchain and cross-checked with Arkham data point to a realized profit of approximately $27.4 million based on entry costs. The article shares the wallet addresses involved and notes that these remained largely dormant since their initial accumulation period.
In its post, Lookonchain highlighted that the ETH had been held for eight years before finally being sold, yet even after all that time, the wallets did not benefit from previous, higher market valuations.
While these sales demonstrate that long-term investors can still lock in gains despite weakened market conditions, the profits remain limited compared to what could have been achieved during peak market rallies.
Profits fall short of all-time highsData shows that on paper, these wallets’ holdings once exceeded $150 million during past bull cycles. However, the owners did not sell during the major surges of 2021 and 2025, passing on peak exit opportunities.
Ethereum reached its all-time high of about $4,946 in August 2025. At that level, the wallets in question were worth exponentially more than the recent selling prices. Instead, the most recent sales occurred with ETH trading around $1,560.
ItemDataInitial amount purchased37,602 ETHAverage entry price$830Amount sold33,623 ETHAverage selling price$1,560Total proceeds$52.5 millionRealized profit$27.4 millionAnalysts point out that the divergence between potential peak value and realized profit exposes missed opportunities during past booms. The rapid completion of these recent sales also underscores a trend of long-term Ethereum holders now liquidating some of their positions.
Available data show that these wallets, after years of dormancy, executed sizable sales in a brief period. This pattern resembles recent behavior among other long-standing Ethereum holders.
Similar moves witnessed beforeThis string of transactions marks the latest example of early Ethereum investors reducing their holdings after years on the sidelines. In March, another early adopter sold roughly $31 million worth of Ethereum.
April likewise saw an ICO participant transfer 10,000 ETH, valued at approximately $23 million, after years of inactivity. With these latest moves, the reactivation of previously idle wallets is under close watch by market observers.

Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) byla zařazena do Russell 1000, což může přilákat miliardové pasivní přílivy. Firma drží asi 5,67 milionu ETH, tedy zhruba 4,7 % nabídky Etherea.
Bitmine Immersion Technologies, trading as BMNR on the NYSE, has met the eligibility criteria for inclusion in the Russell 1000 Index. The addition is expected to take effect on June 26, 2026, following a preliminary list publication in May 2026.
What Bitmine actually is, and why the Russell 1000 matters The company holds approximately 5.67 million ETH, which represents roughly 4.7% of the total Ethereum supply. Combined with cash and other assets, its total holdings clock in at approximately $10.7 billion.
The Russell 1000 Index tracks the largest 1,000 US-listed companies by market capitalization. It serves as a benchmark for large-cap investing, and more importantly, it’s the reference index for a massive ecosystem of passive funds, ETFs, and institutional portfolios that automatically buy whatever the index tells them to buy.

Chairman Tom Lee indicated that the resulting inflows from index trackers could reach into the billions.
The Ethereum thesis, wrapped in a stock ticker BMNR co-founded Ethlabs, a collaborative initiative designed to accelerate Ethereum’s institutional adoption. The effort reportedly involves notable figures from the Ethereum ecosystem, including Joe Lubin.
The company’s investor roster includes ARK Invest, Founders Fund, and Pantera Capital.
The stock trades with high liquidity, reportedly seeing hundreds of millions in daily volume.
What this means for investors When passive funds buy BMNR shares, they’re indirectly gaining exposure to 5.67 million ETH. That means pension funds, 401(k) plans, and retirement accounts benchmarked to the Russell 1000 will, whether they realize it or not, suddenly have a slice of their portfolio tied to the price of Ethereum.
When MSTR entered the Nasdaq 100 in late 2024, it triggered a wave of passive buying that helped stabilize the stock’s premium to its underlying Bitcoin holdings.
The preliminary list drops in May 2026, which gives institutional investors about a month to position ahead of the June 26 effective date.

Krypto ETF za 30 dní ztratily asi 5 miliard USD, protože odlivy zasáhly Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solanu i XRP. Spotové Bitcoin ETF v USA zaznamenaly největší denní odliv v červnu, 696,29 milionu USD.
Institutional demand for cryptocurrency ETFs weakened sharply this week as investors pulled billions of dollars from products tied to Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP. The latest wave of redemptions coincided with Bitcoin falling below $60,000, marking one of the most challenging periods for crypto investment products since the launch of spot ETFs in the United States.
US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded their largest daily net outflow in June on Thursday, while Solana ETFs are headed toward their first monthly net outflows on record. Across the broader market, crypto ETFs have collectively lost approximately $5 billion over the past 30 days, highlighting a widespread shift in investor sentiment.
Bitcoin ETFs post June's biggest outflow According to SoSoValue data, US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net outflows of $696.29 million on Thursday, surpassing the previous monthly high of $519.2 million recorded on June 2. The latest withdrawals extended Bitcoin ETF outflows to 6 consecutive trading days.
June has now recorded total net Bitcoin ETF outflows of $3.61 billion, while year-to-date net outflows have reached $4.56 billion. Since the beginning of May, investors have withdrawn approximately $6.04 billion from spot Bitcoin ETFs.
The selling pressure also appeared concentrated among the industry's largest funds. Fidelity's FBTC recorded $274 million in net outflows on Thursday, while BlackRock's IBIT lost another $265 million. The previous trading session on June 24 had already seen another $469.08 million leave US spot Bitcoin ETFs. The outflows have significantly reduced the size of the US Bitcoin ETF market.
SoSoValue data shows that total net assets across US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs have fallen below $73 billion for the first time since late 2024. Combined assets now stand at approximately $72.57 billion. The decline represents a substantial drop from the sector's peak of $169.5 billion reached in October 2025, leaving total assets approximately 57% below their record highs.
More recently, total Bitcoin ETF assets have fallen from $104.29 billion on May 15 to $72.57 billion, extending a 7-week decline. Bitcoin ETF assets now represent 6.09% of Bitcoin's circulating market capitalization, down from more than 7% during the May peak.
Solana ETFs Record Their Worst-Performing Month Solana investment products also experienced notable weakness. June is on track to become the worst month on record for US spot Solana ETFs, with the category posting its first monthly net outflows. Net redemptions currently total $5.80 million for the month. On Thursday alone, Solana ETFs lost $3.94 million, with all of the outflows coming from Bitwise's $BSOL fund.
Ethereum products also joined the broader selling trend. Spot Ether ETFs recorded combined net outflows of $81.87 million, with BlackRock's $ETHA accounting for $62.99 million of the withdrawals. XRP ETFs remained flat during Thursday's session, recording neither net inflows nor net outflows.
While other Hyperliquid-related investment products experienced withdrawals, Grayscale's $HYPG fund stood out as the sole major crypto ETF to record net inflows, drawing in $112.73 million. This positive momentum was primarily the result of Hyper Holdings providing the fund with seed capital in the form of 2 million $HYPE tokens.
Bitcoin falls below $60,000 The ETF selling coincided with another sharp decline in cryptocurrency prices. Yesterday, Bitcoin briefly fell to $58,050, its lowest level since October 2024, before recovering to around $60,000. The recent market weakness has been linked to concerns surrounding Strategy and its $STRC preferred shares, which declined further to a new all-time low of $72 earlier today.
Solana also came under heavy pressure during the broader market sell-off, briefly dropping to $64 before leading the recovery among majors with an over 10 % rise in the last 24 hours.
Will The Sentiment Remained Subdued? Market observers continue to view ETF flows as an important measure of institutional demand. Citi has previously described Bitcoin ETF flows as one of the best indicators of investor adoption and expects sentiment to remain subdued while ETF flows stay negative.
In a recent report, CoinShares noted that Bitcoin's recovery from approximately $58,000 indicates continued buying interest during market declines, although resistance around $60,000 remains significant. The firm also observed that whale selling, which contributed heavily to the October market decline, has slowed considerably. However, the firm cautioned that whales historically do not return as consistent buyers until the next Bitcoin halving cycle, which is expected in 2028.
Looking ahead, CoinShares expects market conditions to remain challenging as inflation concerns, elevated oil prices, and a hawkish Federal Reserve continue to weigh on risk assets. The firm also believes delays in passing the CLARITY Act could extend uncertainty about the US regulatory environment, with the legislation now more likely to advance toward the August congressional recess than in early July.
For now, persistent ETF outflows across nearly every major cryptocurrency suggest institutional investors remain cautious as falling prices, macroeconomic uncertainty, and concerns surrounding Strategy continue to pressure digital asset markets.

Former Ethereum Foundation member Trent Van Epps warned on Thursday that Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) faces a critical funding gap within 3 to 9 months.
Why The Foundation Is Pulling Back On PurposeVan Epps, who spent five years at the Ethereum Foundation before recently stepping away, explained in an interview with Coindesk that the organization is deliberately pushing legitimacy and funding power out into the broader ecosystem rather than holding onto it.
The Foundation’s treasury, built from the network’s earliest days, has funded critical shared resources like client development and the move from proof of work to proof of stake, but that treasury is shrinking by design.
Core development funding needs sit at roughly $30 million per year, a small figure against Ethereum’s $200 billion market cap and the trillions in stablecoin settlement the network handles.
The problem isn’t a lack of need. It’s that as the Foundation steps back, no clear institution has stepped up to fill the gap, even as the Foundation recently cut its workforce by 20% and saw executives depart.
Protocol Guild Raised $40 Million In Four Years, But It Isn’t EnoughVan Epps built Protocol Guild, a collective funding mechanism for Ethereum’s core developers, distributing nearly $40 million over four years.
“We’ve had some good success,” he said, “but ultimately it’s not sufficient.”
He pointed to the free-rider problem as the core obstacle to fixing it.
“If somebody donates, but their competitor doesn’t, all of a sudden they have a distinct advantage over somebody who’s parted with some of their resources to fund the shared resource,” he said, calling coordination among large stakeholders genuinely hard even when most understand what’s at stake.
Beyond the funding question, Van Epps argued ETH as an asset needs fresh, confident storytelling that connects the token directly to the EVM’s dominance, the engine underpinning roughly 90% of total value locked across crypto including layer-2 networks.
ETH’s Chart Shows Oversold Conditions After A Sharp Trendline BreakETH broke a rising trendline that had held since February, triggering a fast move down through $1,900, then $1,800, into the $1,557 level.
The death cross from November 2025 remains intact across all major moving averages.
RSI sits at 28.98, an oversold reading that often precedes bounce attempts even within a larger downtrend.
The 20-day EMA at $1,707.57 and 50-day EMA at $1,864.11 sit overhead as the first levels traders will watch for any recovery to either fail or gain real traction.

Sharplink bought 5,000 ETH worth $7.85 million on Thursday, its first ether acquisition in eight months, according to onchain data cited by analysis provider EmberCN.
EmberCN pointed to Arkham data showing that the Ethereum treasury firm received 5,000 ETH from FalconX. Its last ether purchase was in October 2025, when it obtained 19,270 ETH ($78.3 million).
As of June 21, Sharplink held 876,285 ETH, worth roughly $1.3 billion, according to its website. EmberCN estimated that the company's average acquisition cost stood at $3,609 per ETH, which implies an unrealized loss of about $1.79 billion.
The company has not publicly disclosed the reported ETH purchase. The Block has reached out to Sharplink for confirmation.
Sharplink remains the world's second-largest public ETH treasury company, behind Tom Lee's Bitmine Immersion, which held 5.67 million ETH ($8.7 billion) as of June 14.
Sharplink rebranded from SharpLink Gaming in February as it expanded from traditional ether staking into other onchain yield strategies. The company reported $12.1 million in total revenue in the first quarter of this year, a significant leap from just $742,000 in the same quarter last year.
The treasury firm recently supported the launch of Ethlabs, a nonprofit founded by a group of former Ethereum Foundation researchers to help prepare the network for its "next phase" of institutional adoption. Ethlabs is also backed by Ethereum co-founder and Sharplink Chairman Joe Lubin, as well as Bitmine Immersion.

XRP Ledger poprvé překonal Ethereum jako hlavní hostitel emise $RLUSD, když na XRPL leží $801M oproti $795M na Ethereu. Jde o historický posun v distribuci stablecoinu Ripple.
The XRP Ledger ($XRPL) has flipped Ethereum as the primary host for $RLUSD supply for the first time since the stablecoin launched. On-chain data cited by @BSCNews shows $801M in $RLUSD sitting on the XRP Ledger, compared to $795M on Ethereum, marking a narrow but historically significant shift in how Ripple's flagship regulated stablecoin is distributed across networks.
A Long Road to the Top The turnaround has been dramatic. By October 2025, approximately 88% of all RLUSD supply sat on Ethereum, with just $91 million on the XRP Ledger. The gap closed steadily from there. Q1 2026 was the first quarter in which RLUSD grew by more on the XRPL (plus $105.4 million) than on Ethereum (plus $15.2 million), signalling that the momentum had genuinely shifted. By June 2026, XRPL stablecoin supply reached $762M, largely driven by RLUSD, before the latest on-chain figures pushed it past the Ethereum figure for the first time.
The initial Ethereum dominance was driven largely by that network's deeper DeFi ecosystem. Ripple added RLUSD to Aave in 2025, helping boost adoption among Ethereum users, while platforms such as Curve and Morpho also supported RLUSD, giving the stablecoin more visibility and utility. Those integrations kept a large portion of supply anchored on Ethereum for most of the stablecoin's early life.
What Is Driving XRPL's Gain RLUSD's strategic advantage on the XRPL is its integration across Ripple's financial products, which provide immediate access for regulated institutional enterprise use in payments, treasury management, prime brokerage, and custody. This allows RLUSD supply to grow from real institutional demand rather than just exchange liquidity. The majority of RLUSD holders are also on the XRPL, with 46,209 on the network compared to 7,821 on Ethereum at Q1 2026 close.
The broader XRPL ecosystem has also been expanding rapidly. The XRPL closed Q1 2026 with an all-time high real-world asset (RWA) market cap of $2.25 billion, up 124% quarter-over-quarter, making it the seventh largest network by RWA market cap. A key institutional proof point came in May 2026 with a tokenized US Treasury redemption pilot involving Ondo Finance, JPMorgan Kinexys, Mastercard, and Ripple, completing a cross-border transaction in 4.2 seconds.
RLUSD is natively issued on both the XRP Ledger and Ethereum blockchains and is fully backed by a segregated reserve of cash and cash equivalents, redeemable 1:1 for US dollars. The stablecoin is regulated under a New York Department of Financial Services trust charter, a compliance posture that has helped attract institutional counterparties to both chains. Whether XRPL can hold and extend this lead over Ethereum's entrenched DeFi liquidity base remains to be seen, but the milestone itself marks a meaningful shift in how Ripple's native infrastructure is being used.

Did BlackRock actually sell?Although BlackRock did not clarify the reason it has continued to offload large stashes of its Bitcoin and Ethereum holdings on Coinbase, the transfers have triggered speculation across the market, with traders interpreting them as potential attempts to sell.
It is important to note that deposits to Coinbase Prime or other crypto exchanges do not necessarily confirm an immediate sale. However, investors have become suspicious of BlackRock's frequent deposits, as the timing of the transfers has intensified concerns and signals that BlackRock might actually be selling.
This is more apparent, as the company has been found to sell only when its ETF products record withdrawals during their daily trading sessions.
Ondo Finance spustila první 24/7 minting a redeemaci tokenizovaných amerických akcií a ETF, včetně $SPYon, $QQQon, $NVDAon a $TSLAon. Funkce běží na sítích Ethereum a BNB Chain.
Round-the-Clock Access to Tokenized U.S. Equities@OndoFinance has activated what it describes as the industry's first 24/7 minting and redemption cycle for tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs, a move that formally severs the dependency of real-world asset (RWA) products on traditional market hours.
Investors can now execute primary issuance and liquidations for $SPYon, $QQQon, $NVDAon, and $TSLAon during overnight sessions, weekends, and public holidays, periods when NYSE and Nasdaq are closed. The update eliminates the reliance on legacy banking schedules, allowing tokenized shares to be created or redeemed in real time regardless of exchange downtime.
Each tokenized asset is an ERC-20 token backed 1:1 by the underlying security, held by U.S. broker-dealers along with cash in transit. The tokens are total-return trackers that mirror the economic performance of their underlying assets, including price movements, dividends, and corporate actions.
Multi-Chain Rollout and Growing Platform ScaleThe 24/7 architecture is currently live on @Ethereum and @BNBChain, with a @Solana deployment scheduled for the near term. Ondo had already expanded to Solana earlier this year: Ondo Global Markets, the world's largest tokenized stock and ETF platform by total value locked, became available on Solana with more than 200 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs, including NVDA, AAPL, META, and ETFs such as SPY and QQQ.
Ondo Global Markets has surpassed $1 billion in tokenized stock TVL less than eight months after launch, becoming the first tokenized stocks platform to cross that mark. The platform now offers more than 260 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs across Solana, Ethereum, and BNB Chain, with access through wallets, exchanges, custodians, and protocols including Binance, Bitget, MetaMask, and Blockchain.com.
Ondo said Global Markets holds more than 70% market share among tokenized equity issuers and has secured regulatory approval to offer tokenized stocks and ETFs across 30 EU and EEA countries.
The broader significance of the 24/7 minting update is structural. By enabling round-the-clock mint and redeem operations, Ondo aims to make equities and ETFs composable components within the DeFi ecosystem, substantially expanding the asset universe and extending trading hours for on-chain finance. This also removes the T+1 settlement delay that traditional stock trading requires and enables transferring equity exposure between wallets as easily as sending stablecoins.

Decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol Spark has deployed approximately $150 million in stablecoin liquidity across two Uniswap v4 pools on Ethereum as part of a collaboration aimed at creating shared liquidity and exchange infrastructure for stablecoin issuers.
A Spark spokesperson told Cointelegraph that the initial deployment is live in two pools pairing USDS with PayPal USD (PYUSD) and USDT, with USDS serving as the foundation. Spark described the deployment as one of the largest automated market maker (AMM) liquidity migrations in DeFi.
“These pools represent the initial deployment of approximately $150 million of liquidity and establish the first phase of the Stablecoin FX Layer,” the spokesperson said. “This initial deployment focuses on bootstrapping shared liquidity on Uniswap v4.”
Earlier this month, Standard Chartered identified Uniswap as a potential beneficiary of tokenized assets moving into DeFi. It forecast that total assets held in DeFi could reach $2.7 trillion by 2030, with Uniswap potentially emerging as a liquidity venue for the growing market.
The deployment announced Thursday lays the groundwork for a planned programmable liquidity system that could reduce the need for banks, financial technology firms and stablecoin issuers to build separate liquidity networks while testing whether Uniswap can make onchain capital more efficient without weakening market depth.
Spark plans programmable liquidity expansionSpark said it plans to introduce its Shared Liquidity Layer and DualPool hook in subsequent phases using Uniswap v4's programmable architecture to coordinate how liquidity is distributed across stablecoin markets.
A liquidity hook enables protocols to seamlessly integrate with platforms for capital access and developing yield and trading strategies.
Spark said a hook is intended to allow capital not immediately needed for trades to be deployed into governance-approved products, liquidity venues and yield-generating strategies.
The implementation of the DualPool hook will go through a separate security review, testing and production-readiness process before deployment. The first phase uses standard Uniswap v4 pools rather than the planned programmable framework.
Spark said the planned framework is intended to give future stablecoin issuers access to shared liquidity rather than requiring them to individually bootstrap pools, coordinate market makers and manage inventory across different venues.
The spokesperson told Cointelegraph that Spark is working with additional partners across the stablecoin ecosystem but is not yet ready to disclose those integrations.
Uniswap seen as winner as tokenized assets move onchainIn a June 15 note to clients, StanChart's bank's head of digital assets research, Geoff Kendrick, said that tokenized treasures, equities, bonds and other assets could bring more trading activity and liquidity to decentralized exchanges as their DeFi use expands.
DeFi total value locked as of June 25. Source: DefiLlama
This new $150 million migration offers a more immediate test of StanChart's infrastructure thesis, though it involves stablecoins rather than tokenized securities.
The migration also follows Uniswap’s push into institutional tokenized-asset trading. On Feb. 12, BlackRock said it would bring its $2.1 billion tokenized Treasury fund, BUIDL, to Uniswap, allowing eligible institutional investors and market makers to trade the security through decentralized infrastructure.

Joseph Lubin uvedl, že Ethereum je blízko klíčovým aktualizacím pro lepší interoperabilitu mezi Layer 1 a Layer 2. Základem mají být zero-knowledge proofs a systém Interchain Token Movement.
Ethereum, the world’s second-largest digital asset by market cap, continues to serve as a foundational platform for smart contracts and blockchain innovation. Developed by figures such as Vitalik Buterin and Consensys co-founder Joseph Lubin, Ethereum remains at the heart of groundbreaking advancements within the blockchain ecosystem.
Major technical upgrades aheadAs Ethereum holds its position as the main settlement layer for decentralized finance, NFT transactions, and tokenized assets, forthcoming protocol changes are being closely watched by both developers and institutional players. Most recently, Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin revealed that the network is just steps away from significant technical upgrades designed to enhance interoperability.
Joseph Lubin emphasized that advances in zero-knowledge proofs are being developed to enable faster and more secure communication between Ethereum’s Layer 1 and Layer 2 structures.
Among the highlighted technical themes is zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) technology, which allows information to be verified without revealing its content. This targeted approach aims to address longstanding security vulnerabilities present in traditional blockchain bridges, a subject of considerable debate in the industry.
Mini glossary: A zero-knowledge proof is a cryptographic method that allows someone to prove the validity of information without disclosing the information itself. Layer 2 refers to scaling solutions that process transactions off the main network and settle results on Ethereum.
Layer 2 interoperability strategy on the riseThis strategy closely aligns with Ethereum’s ongoing shift towards a rollup-centric approach, where an increasing portion of transactional load is handled by Layer 2 solutions. The network’s fragmented ecosystem structure has underscored the urgency of seamless interoperability between various components.
The report also highlighted the potential of a system called Interchain Token Movement, which could reduce reliance on risk-prone blockchain bridges. By improving connections between disparate ecosystems built around Ethereum, the initiative aims to form a more unified blockchain environment.
Potential effects for institutions and developersLower counterparty risk and faster settlement times are among the most notable benefits for institutional investors and DeFi protocols. For developers, enhanced toolkits could make it far easier to build robust multi-chain applications in practice.
Exchanges and custodial service providers may also see streamlined operational flows as a result. On the other hand, added complexity in transaction structures could lead to increased ETH burning, potentially altering the token’s circulating supply dynamics.
Competition intensifiesThese zero-knowledge-driven interoperability steps coincide with regulatory frameworks for digital assets becoming clearer and a surge in institutional interest. Still, rival networks such as Solana and projects adopting modular blockchain architectures are also pushing towards similar goals.
This evolving landscape has reignited debate about whether Ethereum can maintain its real-world interoperability advantage. The timing and effectiveness of the planned technical rollouts may prove decisive for Ethereum’s ecosystem competitiveness in the coming months.

SEC schválila změnu pravidel pro zalistování aktivně spravovaného T. Rowe Price Active Crypto ETF na NYSE Arca. Fond má držet zhruba 5 až 15 různých kryptoměn včetně BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, ADA, AVAX, LTC, DOT, DOGE a LINK.
On June 14, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings show the regulator has formally approved a rule change proposed by NYSE Arca that enables the listing and trading of the T. Rowe Price Active Crypto ETF. An actively managed cryptocurrency ETF, the fund will invest in a basket of digital assets meeting SEC-defined "eligible asset" criteria. While it uses a cryptocurrency index as its benchmark, it will not track that index passively. The filing notes the fund is projected to hold roughly 5 to 15 distinct cryptocurrencies, including major tokens like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, Cardano (ADA), Avalanche (AVAX), Litecoin (LTC), Polkadot (DOT), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Chainlink (LINK). The SEC filing also reveals the fund may hold stablecoins—primarily USDC—as "tokenized cash" during normal operations to cover expenses and rebalance assets, though these will not count toward its core investment portfolio. The approval notice stresses the product must adhere to NYSE Arca’s rules around anti-manipulation, disclosure, liquidity, and risk management. It also requires the fund to have information barriers (often called "firewalls") and position transparency mechanisms in place to uphold market fairness and prevent insider trading. Analysts say this ETF’s approval further expands cryptocurrency’s footprint within the traditional financial sector, marking the arrival of actively managed multi-crypto ETFs as tradable products under mainstream regulatory oversight.

SBI announced it will acquire cryptocurrency trading platform Bitbank for 46.7 billion yen.
According to Nikkei News, Japanese financial group SBI Holdings announced on the 25th that it will acquire cryptocurrency exchange platform bitbank for 46.7 billion yen (approximately $288 million). Upon completion of the transaction, SBI Group’s crypto asset custody scale is expected to exceed 1 trillion yen, making it one of the largest operators in Japan’s crypto industry. Per the plan, a subsidiary under SBI Holdings will acquire Bitbank shares from individual shareholders including its founders as early as August this year. Bitbank will then repurchase shares held by existing shareholders MIXI and Ceres by the end of October. If combining data from SBI’s own crypto exchange SBI VC Trade and Bitbank, as of April this year, the two firms had a total of around 2.92 million accounts and total custody assets of approximately 1.1 trillion yen. While different crypto exchanges disclose custody assets at varying time points, among Japan’s major industry competitors, bitFlyer held about 960 billion yen in custody assets as of the end of December 2025, and Coincheck had around 800 billion yen as of the end of March 2025.

Yearn Finance přišlo kvůli chybě v kontraktu yETH o zhruba 9 milionů USD. Útočník během jediné transakce vytvořil 2,35 × 10³⁸ yETH a vyčerpal likviditu poolu.
They always come back, more inventive, more technical. Hackers have just struck a new blow in the crypto sphere. This time, Yearn Finance is the victim. Outcome: 9 million dollars vanished. Behind the exploit, a bug of rare complexity in the yETH contract. On the surface, a simple swap. In depth, mathematical chaos. And worst of all, this is not an isolated case.
In brief Yearn Finance loses 9 million due to a flaw in a custom swap contract. The technical bug: a division omitted in the calculation of the virtual balance product. The attacker uses temporary contracts to drain assets and obfuscate the trail. A single transaction is enough to pocket 100% of the affected yETH pool liquidity. When arithmetic explodes: a bug worth millions On November 30, a user was able to create 2.35 × 10³⁸ yETH thanks to a subtle flaw in the swap() function of the smart contract. This contract was supposed to maintain a balance rule between tokens. Except a critical division was omitted in the formula. Result: the variable vb_prod ran away. Like a speedometer stuck in overdrive, it deceived the protocol about its own health.
The exploit was confirmed by PeckShield, who alerted in a tweet that nearly 9 million dollars had been lost. Part of the funds — about 3 million in ETH — was sent via Tornado Cash, a famous crypto mixer used to obscure trails. The rest still sleeps in the hacker’s address.
The severity of the bug is not a simple oversight. As Ilia.eth explained on X:
Today’s exploitation of the $yETH pool was not a flash loan type price attack, but indeed a structural collapse of the AMM’s internal accounting. Here is a technical analysis showing how a simple omitted division led to complete protocol drainage.
This flaw painfully recalls the precedent of Balancer, where poor rounding management caused similar chaos. Same cause, same effect: uncontrolled monetary creation followed by a legitimate but destructive withdrawal.
Helper contracts to raze Yearn Finance’s architecture It’s not just the bug that impresses. It’s the attack engineering. In a single transaction, the hacker orchestrated everything: deployment of “helper contracts,” token minting, conversion to ETH, fund transfer, and self-destruction of contracts to erase traces.
According to Blockscout, each helper contract executed a targeted call to the vulnerable function, then sent the ETH to a master wallet before disappearing. A strategy worthy of a heist movie, where the robber erases his digital footprints in the same second he acts.
The key address identified by several analysts is: 0xa80d…c822, currently still holding about 6 million in stETH, rETH, and other Ethereum derivatives.
On X, William Li offers further reading:
The hacker actually did not withdraw all the yETH he created, he only sold part of it in the yETH-ETH pool for 1,000 ETH (about 3 million dollars) — which is far less than the real gain he made (P2).
More than a theft, it is therefore a controlled disintegration of the yETH protocol. And behind the attack, a deep mathematical knowledge, coupled with cold and precise programming talent.
Crypto and trust: when code becomes Achilles’ heel Yearn Finance is far from an amateur project. Yet, the flaw was detected neither by users nor by audits. This is where the matter becomes worrying for the entire crypto market. Because this type of error — a multiplication instead of a division — could exist elsewhere, lurking in other protocols.
The yETH contract structure is a hybrid between Curve and Balancer. Except that instead of recalculating each transaction, it stores an intermediate state (vb_prod) supposed to be updated after each swap. A dangerous practice, according to Ilia.eth:
Storing complex product results (vb_prod) to update them incrementally is extremely risky. Errors accumulate, and the slightest logical bug can remain active indefinitely. It would be better to recalculate invariants from current balances.
The hack revives the debate: should gas economy or rigor be prioritized? One thing is certain: the consequences of a botched trade-off now amount to millions. At Yearn, the time is for remobilization: SEAL911, ChainSecurity, and a post-mortem investigation are already on the front line.
5 key facts about the Yearn Finance exploit November 30, 2025: date of the hack; $9 million: estimated total losses; 2.35 × 10³⁸ yETH: artificially created tokens; Single transaction: the entire attack happened in one block; Helper contracts: deployed, used, then self-destructed. Calculation errors in crypto do not forgive. And for good reason: it’s not another audit that would have avoided the carnage. Balancer, despite 11 security audits, was also emptied by an almost twin bug. A simple multiplication factor can become a weapon of mass destruction when finance becomes programmable. Protocols have short memory, but blockchains never forget.

A Balancer attacker has converted 21k ETH (about $48.7M) to 617 BTC over three days, leaving only 1k ETH in the hacker’s address. The probability of another $100 million crypto hack by December 31 is at 100% YES on Polymarket.
This conversion is part of the attacker’s ongoing liquidation of stolen funds. The crypto hack market sits at 100% YES with 251 days left until resolution. The certainty reflects how frequently hacks exceeding $100M have occurred, making another one before year-end a near-foregone conclusion.

The liquidation of this much ETH into BTC has added selling pressure on Ethereum. The probability of Ethereum being above $2,600 on April 26 is at 0.2% YES across multiple sub-markets. That market has minimal daily trading activity at $3 actual USDC, meaning traders are not expecting a price rebound within the next two days.
The hack prediction market has zero volume, so the 100% YES price reflects the near-certainty of resolution rather than active trading. Buying YES at 100¢ offers no return since the market is already priced to certainty.
Watch on-chain investigators like ZachXBT and firms like Chainalysis for further details on the Balancer attacker’s movements. Ethereum’s short-term price will depend partly on whether the remaining 1k ETH gets liquidated and on any additional large ETH outflows tied to this or similar exploits.

June 14 — The Humanity Project team issued a statement in the early hours of yesterday regarding a cross-chain attack targeting its H token that took place on June 8. The attacker used a phishing email to gain access to a board member’s device, stealing their private key to execute on-chain transactions. The report noted the attack displayed technical tactics and tooling similar to those linked to a North Korean hacker group. The breach occurred across both Ethereum and BNB Chain. Using the stolen key, the attacker upgraded the Ethereum contract and transferred roughly 141.18 million H tokens. Simultaneously, they seized control of the BSC-side ProxyAdmin contract and minted additional tokens. Over an approximately 8-hour window, the attacker gradually sold these assets on Uniswap and PancakeSwap, disrupting liquidity and harming token holders. The project team confirmed the attack vector was a targeted social engineering phishing email disguised as an update notification from crypto trading platform Bithumb. The victim was tricked into opening a malicious attachment, which installed a remote access trojan that granted full device control, enabling theft of wallet data and private keys. As of the latest update, the Ethereum-side H contract has been frozen via an unaffected multi-signature (multi-sig) mechanism. However, the BSC-side deployment remains under the attacker’s control, leaving open the potential for additional minting. The team is collaborating with exchanges and stakeholders to develop fixes and remedies, and advised users to stay on alert for phishing links and scam messages.

Bithumb was fined for sharing user data overseas without consent.
South Korean regulatory authorities have ordered cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb to pay a 210 million won (approximately $136,000) fine for sharing user personal information with overseas platforms without user consent. According to an announcement released Thursday by South Korea’s Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC), the relevant user data exposure occurred between September and November 2025. At that time, Bithumb transferred user information to overseas platforms while sharing its USDT market order book data. The PIPC also noted that when assisting users with asset transfers to 13 overseas exchanges, Bithumb failed to obtain full and sufficient user consent before sharing personal details including names, wallet addresses, and dates of birth. For the two violations, the PIPC not only imposed the fine but also ordered Bithumb to rectify its processes and management systems related to cross-border transmission of user information.

Analyst: SK Hynix’s US listing and fund-raising could trigger a valuation re-rating.
According to Bloomberg, SK Hynix is set to issue American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) on the Nasdaq on July 10. The listing aims to raise nearly $30 billion, making it one of the largest ADR issuances in history. Market participants widely believe the move will significantly expand its global investor base and may drive a valuation re-rating. Multiple asset management firms project that if its valuation converges with Micron Technology’s, its share price could rise by 30% over the next year. One fund manager noted that SK Hynix should trade at a valuation at least on par with Micron, as demand for memory chips is likely to outpace supply for years to come. The listing comes amid an unusually strong boom in the memory chip sector. Shares of Micron, SK Hynix, and Samsung Electronics have all surged over 200% this year, marking their best annual performance in decades. Demand for High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) from AI servers is widely seen as the driver of a structural "memory supercycle".
Tether rozšiřuje stablecoin USAT na blockchain Celo, což je jeho první expanze mimo Ethereum mainnet. Google Cloud zajistí infrastrukturní podporu a Celo začne proces pro jeho použití jako gas currency.
In brief Tether’s USAT stablecoin is launching on the Celo blockchain, its first expansion beyond Ethereum. Google Cloud provides infrastructure support for the stablecoin's distribution system. A privacy-preserving faucet allows verified users to access USAT tokens through proof-of-humanity verification. Tether announced Tuesday that the USAT stablecoin is expanding to the Celo blockchain, an Ethereum layer-2 scaling network, marking the regulated digital dollar's first deployment beyond the Ethereum mainnet.
The launch will bring USAT—a stablecoin issued by Anchorage Digital and targeted at the U.S. market—to Celo, with Google Cloud providing infrastructure support alongside plans for the stablecoin to serve as a gas currency on the layer-2 network.
“More than 566 million people globally use USDT as a reliable way to access and move dollars, particularly in markets where traditional financial infrastructure falls short. Expanding USAT to Celo builds on that foundation by bringing regulated digital dollar infrastructure into one of the most active on-chain economies today,” said Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino, in a statement.
“This is how we continue to extend access to trusted, programmable money at a global scale,” he added. “What matters now is ensuring these systems are accessible in the environments where people are already transacting every day.”
Celo brings significant mobile reach through Opera MiniPay's 14 million wallet users globally. Celo co-founder and CEO Rene Reinsberg called the launch "a powerful validation of the infrastructure we've spent years building," highlighting Tether’s selection of Celo for its first layer-2 deployment for USAT following its initial January rollout on Ethereum.
The technical implementation includes a mainnet faucet system enabling verified users to access USAT through privacy-preserving proof-of-humanity verification developed with Self and Google Cloud. Following deployment, Celo governance will begin the process to enable USAT as a gas currency on the network.
“By bringing USAT to Opera MiniPay’s millions of mobile-first users, we are showing what the next generation of financial access looks like: trusted, compliant, and instantly available,” said Celo co-founder Rene Reinsberg, in a statement.
Deloitte performed the first USAT attestation report, released earlier this month, showing that the firm had $17.6 million in reserves—comprised of cash and U.S. Treasuries—backing about $17.5 million in tokens as of January 31.
Tether’s flagship USDT stablecoin, which leads the industry with an $184 million market cap, has never had a full independent audit from one of the “Big Four” accounting firms. However, last week, Tether said that it had signed one of the firms for an audit, but did not reveal which firm would do it. A subsequent Financial Times report said KPMG would conduct the audit.

TLDR: Uniswap’s temp check vote targets BNB Chain, Polygon, and Celo, expanding the fee-and-burn to 13 chains. Every swap generates a protocol fee that bridges to Ethereum and permanently burns UNI at a dead address. CryptoQuant data shows rising UNI net outflows on Binance, pointing to smart money accumulation near lows. The governance vote closes May 21st with 18.1M UNI cast, 100% in favor, and the 10M quorum already cleared. Uniswap is moving to extend its fee-and-burn mechanism to BNB Chain, Polygon, and Celo. A temp check vote is currently underway, drawing strong community support.
Meanwhile, on-chain data from CryptoQuant shows rising net outflows on Binance as UNI trades near its lower price range. Together, these developments are drawing fresh attention to the token’s near-term outlook.
Governance Vote Targets 13-Chain Fee-and-Burn Rollout The proposal, shared via Snapshot.eth on behalf of Uniswap’s governance, aims to bring the fee-and-burn system to three additional networks. If passed, the rollout would cover 13 chains in total.
Every swap on these networks generates a protocol fee, which bridges back to Ethereum and permanently burns UNI at a dead address.
The system has been live since December across Ethereum and nine other networks. BNB Chain and Polygon would connect through Wormhole’s Native Token Transfer setup.
Celo was approved in an earlier vote but failed due to a configuration error. This proposal corrects that path and re-runs the execution.
Forum member Abel189 described the move as “a coherent next step” given Uniswap’s “increasingly multi-chain reality.”

He supports incremental, chain-by-chain expansion but flagged growing cross-chain messaging complexity as a key watch item going forward.
L2BEAT’s governance team, including members Kaereste and Manugotsuka, voted in favor after their research team verified the implementation, contracts, and expected governance payloads.
They noted the unchanged fee structure and continuity with the previously approved framework as reasons for their support.
On-Chain Outflow Data Points to Accumulation Activity On the market side, CryptoQuant data on the Uniswap Exchange Netflow chart for Binance is showing notable movement.
As UNI’s price corrected deeply, netflow bars grew denser with large net outflows becoming more frequent. This pattern tends to reflect behavior from longer-term holders and smart money participants.
These outflows typically mean UNI is being withdrawn from Binance and moved to personal wallets for holding. That reduces the available supply on the exchange and lowers direct selling pressure over time. Analyst Rei Researcher noted this trend as a potential setup for an accumulation zone near the bottom.
Source: Cryptoquant
Currently, UNI is seeing a mild price recovery. If the outflow trend continues and exchange supply tightens further, buying demand could push the price higher.
The combination of reduced sell-side pressure and growing protocol utility through the burn mechanism adds a structural layer to that potential move.
The governance vote closes on May 21st at 5:30 PM UTC. As of the latest update, 258 wallets have cast 18.1 million UNI votes, with 100% in favor and the 10 million quorum already cleared.
THORChain pozastavil obchodování a swapy po exploitu za více než 10 milionů USD napříč Bitcoinem, Ethereum, BSC a Base. RUNE během několika hodin spadl o 12 %.
THORChain, a decentralized cross-chain liquidity protocol, has paused trading after blockchain security researchers flagged an exploit worth over $10 million. The protocol has reportedly suffered an exploit across Bitcoin, Ethereum, BSC and Base. As a result, RUNE price crashed 12% in a few hours.
THORChain Hit By $10M Crypto Losses in Exploit On-chain investigator ZachXBT on May 15 flagged an exploit on THORChain, claiming losses exceeding $10 million. The funds are stolen across multiple major blockchains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain (BSC), and Base.
In response, THORChain has halted all trading and swaps via its emergency protocol to contain the damage. The exploit involved large unauthorized outflows from THORChain’s router contracts across the affected chains.
Many security researchers and analytics platforms such as PeckShieldAlert revealed the attacker’s wallets. Notably, the wallets hold 36.85 BTC, 3,443 ETH, and 96.6 BNB, along with other tokens like USDT, USDC, and WBTC, according to Arkham data.
THORChain Exploiter Wallet’s Crypto Assets. Source: Arkham The incident triggered THORChain’s built-in halt mechanism, where nodes pause operations upon detecting the exploit to protect liquidity providers (LPs). This is reportedly the second notable security event for THORChain this year, amplifying concerns about DeFi interoperability risks.
Recently, KelpDAO suffered a hack worth $290 million. The attacker drained rsETH through KelpDAO’s LayerZero-powered cross-chain bridge, risking contagion to other DeFi protocols such as Aave.
RUNE Price Crashes 12% amid Market Reaction RUNE price fell 12% in just a few hours, with the price currently trading at $0.520. The 24-hour low and high are $0.502 and $0.597, respectively. Binance ve 43. reportu PoR ukázala růst uživatelských zásob na zhruba 630 000 BTC a 4,14 milionu ETH. Zároveň USDT klesly zhruba o 460 milionů na 34,3 miliardy USDT.
Binance has released its 43rd proof of reserves report, using a June 1 snapshot of user asset balances.
Summary
Binance users added 25,838 BTC in May, lifting reported holdings to about 630,000 BTC total. ETH balances rose faster than BTC, climbing 10.17% to about 4.14 million ETH by June. USDT holdings fell by roughly 460 million, pointing to lower stablecoin balances among Binance users. The latest update on the Binance PoR page shows a clear rise in reported Bitcoin and Ethereum user holdings from the prior month.
User BTC holdings rose 4.26% from May 1 to about 630,000 BTC. That marked an increase of 25,838 BTC. User ETH holdings rose faster, climbing 10.17% to about 4.14 million ETH, up 382,619 ETH over the same period.
The increase in BTC and ETH balances comes as exchange reserve reports remain closely watched by traders. Larger user balances can reflect deposits, purchases, internal transfers, or other account activity. The snapshot does not separate those drivers.
USDT balance moves lower The stablecoin side moved in the other direction. Binance reported user USDT holdings of about 34.3 billion USDT, down 1.33% from May 1. The decrease was equal to roughly 460 million USDT.
Binance Releases 43rd Proof of Reserves Report
Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange by user count and trading volume, released its 43rd Proof of Reserves report with a June 1 snapshot. User BTC holdings rose 4.26% from May 1 to about 630,000 BTC, an increase of 25,838… pic.twitter.com/P6GQBFhj3s
— Wu Blockchain (@WuBlockchain) June 18, 2026 The mixed data shows users held more BTC and ETH on Binance, while reported USDT balances fell. The report does not show why balances changed. It does not prove whether users bought crypto, withdrew stablecoins, moved funds between products, or changed trading plans.
A lower USDT balance can matter because stablecoins often act as dry powder for trading. However, the figure alone does not show whether liquidity left Binance or moved into other assets on the platform.
Proof of reserves remains under focus Binance uses proof of reserves to show that user assets are backed on-chain. The exchange says the process is meant to prove customer funds are held “1:1” and include extra reserves. The report is based on snapshots, so it does not operate as a live balance sheet.
As crypto.news reported earlier, Binance led proof-of-reserve rankings with $155.6 billion in assets in January 2026, based on CoinMarketCap data. According to an earlier crypto.news report, Binance’s open-source PoR system uses zero-knowledge proofs to improve verification and privacy for users.
Balance changes point to rotation The June snapshot differs from some earlier reserve moves. In a previous crypto.news report, Binance’s September balances showed declines in BTC, ETH and USDT during a weaker market period. The latest snapshot shows the opposite for BTC and ETH, even as USDT balances fell.
crypto.news previously reported that Binance backed major tokens at more than 100% in a May 2025 reserves update, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT. That earlier report said proof of reserves became more closely watched after FTX collapsed and users demanded clearer exchange backing data.
The latest figures suggest Binance users held more core crypto assets and less USDT at the start of June. BTC and ETH remain the two largest non-stablecoin assets in most exchange reserve reports, making their balance changes a key market signal.
Still, proof of reserves has limits. It shows reported asset backing at a point in time, but it does not fully explain liabilities, off-chain obligations, or user behavior. For that reason, the latest Binance report shows a balance shift, not a full picture of exchange health.
Reward pool NovaBox na Ethereu byl napaden a útočníci odcizili zhruba 56,73 ETH. Incident zasáhl přes 130 vkladatelů a souvisel s chybou v mechanismu rozdělování odměn.
PANews reported on June 11 that, according to Bits.media, the NovaBox platform's reward pool was hacked on Ethereum on June 9, resulting in the loss of approximately 56.73 ETH, affecting over 130 depositors. The attackers drained the pool from 65.11 ETH to 0.09 ETH in a single transaction, representing approximately 99.86% of the total. Security firm F12 stated that the incident was not due to a smart contract vulnerability, but rather a flaw in the reward distribution mechanism.
The attacker borrowed 427.5 WETH through an Aave V3 flash loan, exploiting a vulnerability in NovaBox's mechanism where dividends are paid out before the balance is updated upon user deposits and withdrawals. The hacker first deposited a small amount of NOVA tokens to trigger dividend calculation, then deposited a large amount of ETH, significantly increasing the actual share. However, because the system failed to update the balance in time, dividends were still calculated based on the previous small share, but were paid out based on the new large share, resulting in a "phantom dividend" of approximately 145.82 ETH, thus depleting the reward pool.
MEV bot JaredFromSubway byl podle Blockaid vyprázdněn přes falešné tokeny a otevřená schválení, která útočník zneužil k odčerpání asi 7,5 milionu USD. Bot později tvrdil ztrátu 15 milionů USD.
Ethereum’s well-known MEV bot JaredFromSubway was drained after an attacker used contracts that made its automated trading system grant token approvals, according to Blockaid.
Summary
Blockaid says attacker-controlled contracts tricked JaredFromSubway’s automated system into granting approvals later used for draining. Jared publicly claimed a $15 million loss, while Blockaid’s public estimate stood near $7.5 million. Crypto.news previously tied JaredFromSubway to Vitalik Buterin’s swap and heavy Ethereum gas use in 2023. The security firm said the incident was not a normal phishing case and not a direct bug in the victim contract.
“This is not a classic phishing attack and not a traditional smart-contract vulnerability in the victim contract,” Blockaid said.
The firm said the bot approved attacker-controlled contracts during routes that appeared to be profitable MEV trades.
Blockaid says approvals stayed open Blockaid said the attacker first tested routes where approvals were used at once, leaving no open allowance. Later, the attacker changed the route design so the bot gave approvals that were not spent or revoked.
One example cited by Blockaid involved an approval of about 92.16 WETH to an attacker helper contract. Etherscan data for the transaction showed jaredfromsubway.eth interacting with its MEV Bot 2 contract before the later sweep. The transaction record also showed ERC-20 movements tied to the same automated route.
Final sweep hit WETH, USDC and USDT The final transaction used the open approvals to pull WETH, USDC and USDT from the JaredFromSubway MEV bot contract through transferFrom. Etherscan showed transfers from “jaredfromsubway: MEV Bot 2” to the attacker wallet beginning with 0x3e37.
Blockaid put the drained amount at about $7.5 million. The JaredFromSubway account later claimed the loss was $15 million and offered a $1 million bounty for the full return of the funds. That difference has not been fully explained in the public posts reviewed.
How the attacker turned the bot’s logic against it The attack appears to have targeted the bot’s own trading workflow. MEV bots watch Ethereum activity and act on transactions that look profitable. In this case, attacker-controlled contracts made the route look useful enough for the bot to approve spending rights.
The attacker used 66 fake token contracts that copied the look and function of WETH, USDC and USDT. These contracts were paired with fake liquidity pools. The setup pushed the bot toward approvals that later became the path for the drain.
JaredFromSubway’s record is back in focus JaredFromSubway is one of Ethereum’s most watched sandwich bots. In a sandwich attack, a bot places trades before and after a user’s swap. This can give the user a worse price while the bot captures the spread.
As previously reported by crypto.news, JaredFromSubway targeted a small swap by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin in April, using about $1.14 million in WETH volume across SushiSwap and Uniswap V2. Crypto.news also reported in 2023 that the bot used 455 ETH in gas within 24 hours and accounted for about 7% of Ethereum gas use during that period.
The exploit now puts attention on token approvals used by automated systems. The case shows how a system built to act quickly on open market data can be steered into unsafe permissions when controls around approvals are weak. It also adds a new chapter to the wider debate over MEV, sandwich trades and user protection on Ethereum.
For now, the key public details remain split between Blockaid’s technical thread, the on-chain records and posts from the JaredFromSubway account. No recovery had been confirmed in the reviewed updates.
IoTeX uvedl, že po útoku na ioTube je přes 86 % CIOTX zamčeno nebo zmrazeno a jen 0,4 % zůstává v ohrožení. Útočníci odcizili 410 milionů CIOTX a asi 4,4 milionu USD v aktivech.
PANews reported on February 23 that the IoTeX team tweeted that on February 21, they discovered an attack on the Ethereum side of their multi-chain bridge ioTube. The attackers stole 410 million CIOTX tokens and approximately $4.4 million in assets through four steps. Currently, over 86% of the CIOTX has been locked or frozen, 12.8% (52.4 million CIOTX) is being frozen in cooperation with Binance and other platforms, and only 0.4% (1.7 million CIOTX) remains at risk after being exchanged on DEXs. Regarding the bridge's reserve funds, the attackers exchanged the stolen reserve tokens (including USDC, USDT, WBTC, WETH, and other assets) for approximately 2,183 ETH . Of this, 1,572 ETH has been transferred to the Bitcoin network via THORChain.
The IoTeX team has taken emergency measures, including distributing patch fixes, freezing related addresses, and working with exchanges to freeze funds. The ioTube bridge service will be restored after an independent security audit, along with a compensation plan and security upgrades. The team is committed to ensuring the safety of community assets and will release a more detailed compensation plan and hold a community AMA within the next 48 hours.
Previously reported, IoTeX suffered a loss of approximately $2 million in assets and is expected to be operational within 48 hours . Upbit has added IoTeX (IOTX) to its transaction alert list .
Elliptic uvedl, že Lazarus Group po hacku Bybit vyprala přes eXch ukradené prostředky za více než 75 milionů USD. eXch přesto odmítla transakce blokovat.
The Lazarus Group has laundered stolen crypto from last week’s record-shattering Bybit hack through the exchange eXch, according to the blockchain research firm Elliptic.
Hackers looted nearly $1.5 billion worth of Ethereum (ETH) and Lido Staked Ether (stETH) from Bybit on Friday.
[adinserter block="1"]
The attack represented the largest crypto hack ever and possibly the biggest heist in world history.
Elliptic, pseudonymous on-chain investigator ZachXBT and other researchers have pinned the exploit on the Lazarus Group, a prolific North Korean cybercriminal outfit known for numerous high-profile hacks on major crypto platforms.
In a new analysis, Elliptic notes that Lazarus’ money-laundering process typically follows the same steps. First, the group exchanges any stolen tokens for a native blockchain asset like Ethereum, because ETH can’t be frozen by a central authority.
Source: Elliptic Subsequently, the cybercriminal outfit “layers” the stolen funds through multiple wallets, exchanges, cross-chain bridges and crypto mixers to obfuscate the transaction trail.
Elliptic says that Lazarus is currently in the middle of the second step.
“Within two hours of the theft, the stolen funds were sent to 50 different wallets, each holding approximately 10,000 ETH. These are now being systematically emptied – as of 1pm UTC on February 24, 14.5% of the stolen assets (now worth $195 million) have been moved from these wallets.
Once moved out of these wallets, the funds are being laundered through various services, including DEXs (decentralized exchanges), cross-chain bridges and centralized exchanges.
However, one service has emerged as a major and willing facilitator of this laundering. eXch is a cryptocurrency exchange, notable for allowing its users to swap cryptoassets anonymously. This has led them to being used to exchange hundreds of millions of dollars in crypto assets derived from criminal activity, including multiple thefts perpetrated by North Korea. Despite attempting to conceal this activity, our analysis shows that since the hack, crypto assets stolen from Bybit worth over $75 million have been exchanged using eXch. Despite direct requests from Bybit, eXch has refused to block this activity.”
Over the weekend, eXch took to the BitcoinTalk forum to deny claims it was laundering crypto for Lazarus, though it did cop to processing an “insignificant” portion of the stolen Bybit funds.
“1. eXch is NOT laundering money for Lazarus/DPRK (North Korea).
2. The insignificant portion of funds from the ByBit hack eventually entered our address 0xf1da173228fcf015f43f3ea15abbb51f0d8f1123 which was an isolated case and the only part processed by our exchange, fees from which we will be donated for the public good.
3. Any claims by ZachXBT and others on Twitter regarding transactions not related to 0xf1da173228fcf015f43f3ea15abbb51f0d8f1123 that are falsely attributed to eXch are a targeted FUD attack on our exchange.”
Bybit CEO Ben Zhou says the firm has restored a 1:1 backing on all client assets after the record-setting hack, and the Dubai-based exchange announced a full restoration of services on Saturday.
MegaETH spustil program zpětného odkupu MEGA financovaný čistě z čistého výnosu ze stablecoinu USDm nashromážděného do konce dubna. Další odkupy mají běžet automaticky podle změn nabídky USDm a výnosu rezervních aktiv.
MegaETH has activated a MEGA token buyback program funded entirely by net revenue from its USDm stablecoin, turning Treasury‑backed yield into a standing bid for its “real‑time Ethereum” L2 token after a sharp post‑launch selloff.
Summary
The MegaETH Foundation has kicked off a MEGA token buyback program, completing its first purchase using all net earnings generated by USDm through the end of April. USDm’s current supply is about $480 million, and future MEGA buybacks will run programmatically, with size determined by USDm supply and yield on its reserve assets. The foundation stresses that USDm is not issued or operated by MegaETH or MegaLabs, even as its revenue stream becomes a core economic engine for MEGA demand. The MegaETH Foundation says its MEGA token buyback plan is now live, with the first repurchase funded entirely by net earnings from USDm accumulated through the end of April. In an announcement on X, the foundation said it had “completed the first MEGA buyback using all net income generated by USDm’s issuer as of April 30,” framing the move as the start of an ongoing demand loop where the ecosystem’s stablecoin revenue is recycled into the native token.
MEGA buyback goes live, tied directly to USDm revenues Importantly, the foundation reiterated that “USDm is not issued or operated by the MegaETH Foundation or MegaLabs,” clarifying that the stablecoin’s issuer is a separate entity even though its economics are tightly coupled to MEGA. USDm is a yield-bearing stablecoin built on Ethena’s USDtb rails, with reserves primarily invested in BlackRock’s tokenized U.S. Treasury fund BUIDL via Securitize, alongside liquid stables for redemptions. Those reserves generate a predictable yield, which flows to the USDm issuer and, under the new scheme, is then used as the funding source for MEGA buybacks.
CoinMarketCap’s overview of MegaETH notes that the MEGA token has a fixed supply of 10 billion and is used for gas, staking and governance within the “real-time Ethereum” L2, which targets sub-millisecond latency and over 100,000 transactions per second. By tying MEGA buybacks to USDm’s revenues, the foundation is effectively turning stablecoin growth and on-chain economic activity into a direct support mechanism for MEGA’s price and scarcity.
Programmatic buybacks, variable size, and market impact According to the foundation, future MEGA buybacks will be executed “as programmatically as possible,” running automatically according to preset rules instead of being manually timed by the team. The size of each operation “will not be fixed,” it said, but will depend on “changes in USDm supply and the yield of the underlying reserve assets,” meaning that as USDm circulates more widely and its Treasury-backed yield rises or falls, the buyback firepower will adjust in tandem.
Earlier this year, the MegaETH Foundation outlined a broader economic model in which USDm functions as an “economic engine” for the L2: yield from its reserves is used to subsidize sequencer costs and network fees and, now, to fund ongoing MEGA purchases from the market. MEXC’s summary of the plan notes that USDM (often stylized as USDm) “is backed by Ethena and BlackRock’s BUIDL fund,” and that the project will “trigger MEGA token generation based on KPIs” such as reaching $500 million in USDm circulation, launching 10 apps on MegaETH, or having at least three apps generate $50,000 in fees for 30 consecutive days. DefiLlama data show USDm’s broader MegaETH stablecoin stack now has a market cap of about $810.6 million, with USDm itself accounting for roughly 58% dominance, implying a USDm supply in the neighborhood of $470–$480 million.
The timing of the first buyback is notable. AInvest reported that MEGA fell about 38% from its April 30 launch price to $0.138 amid heavy post‑TGE selling pressure from early participants. CoinMarketCap’s explainer on MegaETH says the ecosystem was designed from the outset to “use its native stablecoin’s reserve yield to fund MEGA buybacks,” positioning this week’s announcement as the moment when that theoretical flywheel actually starts to spin. If USDm continues to grow and on-chain yields remain robust, the programmatic buyback mechanism could become a persistent marginal buyer of MEGA in secondary markets, linking the token’s long-term value more tightly to real usage and stablecoin demand rather than one-off hype cycles.
WOO X přišel o zhruba 14 milionů USD při útoku připisovaném aktérovi napojenému na KLDR. Hacken uvádí, že většina prostředků už byla převedena do Bitcoinu.
On July 24, 2025, Taiwan-based trading platform WOO X became the latest victim in a bruising summer of crypto breaches when attackers made off with roughly $14 million in unauthorized withdrawals from nine user accounts, forcing the exchange to pause withdrawals while it investigated and promised to reimburse affected users.
New chain-analysis shared by Yehor Rudytsia, Head of Forensics and Incident Response at Hacken, paints the post-heist picture as far more organized than a one-off theft. According to Rudytsia, the exploit, which Hacken dates to July, resulted in total losses of about $14 million and was carried out by a DPRK-linked actor tracked in law-enforcement circles as “TraderTraitor.”
Hacken says it is actively monitoring the on-chain movements and is supporting recovery efforts by flagging malicious addresses to the wider security community. The laundering choreography, as mapped by Hacken, left half the stolen funds on EVM networks and the rest on Tron and Bitcoin.
In the last 24 hours, on-chain traces show that the bulk of the EVM-side proceeds, more than $7 million, were routed through THORChain and swapped into Bitcoin, a technique observers have increasingly flagged as a common laundering path after major exchange thefts earlier this year. Rudytsia noted that THORChain’s native cross-chain swap functionality has repeatedly been used to convert large sums of ETH and ERC-20 tokens into BTC, making it attractive to sophisticated operators moving stolen assets across ecosystems.
On-chain Evidence Hacken’s report also documents the handling of the Tron-denominated portion (about $2.5 million in TRX). Those funds, the team found, were converted into USDT, bridged to Ethereum via LayerZero infrastructure, and from there, some of the bridged USDT was again pushed to Bitcoin through THORChain.
On-chain evidence of a nine-figure USDT transfer arriving on Ethereum from a LayerZero executor appears in public transaction records from October 1, 2025, which match the pattern Hacken described.
Complicating the trail, part of the funds that surfaced on Ethereum were sent to a wallet previously tied to the BingX hot-wallet exploit in 2024, itself attributed by investigators to North Korean-linked groups, suggesting either reuse of laundering infrastructure or coordination across multiple thefts.
The address that received those transfers is publicly visible on Ethereum explorer records, and investigators say the link deepens the picture of an organized laundering chain connecting multiple high-profile incidents.
Taken together, the movements indicate that roughly $8–9 million from the WOO X breach was bridged on the same day from Ethereum to Bitcoin, almost entirely via THORChain, leaving an estimated 90% of the stolen value now sitting on Bitcoin addresses as perpetrators accelerate conversion into the oldest and most liquid on-chain asset.
Security teams monitoring the flows warn that once funds consolidate on Bitcoin, conventional tracing and intervention become harder and the risk of eventual cash-out increases. Rudytsia told Blockchain Reporter that Hacken is continuing to monitor the accounts and will push flagged addresses to exchanges and compliance partners in the hope of freezing or otherwise freezing flow paths where possible.
For now, the case is a fresh reminder that as cross-chain tooling gets more powerful, it also gives sophisticated attackers faster, lower-friction routes to turn stolen tokens into harder-to-trace assets, and that forensic work on multiple chains, together with cooperation from on- and off-ramp services, remains the only immediate line of defence in today’s time.

BitDAO, a decentralized autonomous organization with a treasury worth over $1.7 billion, has launched an Ethereum Layer 2 network called Mantle, the DAO announced on Wednesday.
Mantle is a modular Ethereum Layer 2 chain. Modular networks are a new way of designing blockchains and are different from the older monolithic chains, where all network functions happen on the base layer. On modular blockchains, there are separate layers for network consensus, transaction execution and settlement, as well as data availability. This type of design is said to create networks that are more efficient and have greater scalability.
BitDAO’s Layer 2 network stack has three distinct layers, according to the announcement. One layer is for transaction execution while the other two handle transaction finality and data availability, respectively.
Mantle is BitDAO’s attempt to solve some of the challenges facing Layer 2 networks, a spokesperson for the DAO told The Block. “BitDAO aims to bring the spotlight back from Alt-L1s to Ethereum and give market participants the best web3, DeFi and GameFi have to offer,” said the spokesperson.
Mantle will reportedly offer superior features compared to other Layer 2 networks. BitDAO’s Layer 2 network will come with faster throughput and low fees, and be powered by a decentralized data availability layer, the announcement stated. Transaction fees on Mantle will be paid using BitDAO’s governance token, BIT.
EigenLayer, an Ethereum middleware platform, is one of the partners in the project. As such, early adopters can use EigenDA, a custom-built data availability layer designed by EigenLayer that supports Optimistic and ZK-Rollups — the two major types of roll-up technology.
Wednesday’s announcement marks the soft launch of the Layer 2 network. Mantle is expected to roll out an incentivized public testnet next year.
A BitDAO spokesperson confirmed that DAO partners can deploy protocols on Mantle when launched. Unlike most DAOs built around specific DeFi projects, BitDAO is more of an investment DAO. BitDAO’s mandate is to grow the web3 ecosystem by providing grants to projects and supporting web3-based research activities. BitDAO has the second-largest DAO treasury in the crypto space.
“Mantle will serve as the connective tissue for various BitDAO initiatives, such as projects from Game7, research from EduDAO, to the ecosystem of dApps being enabled by BitDAO," said jacobc.eth, product head at BitDAO’s Windranger Labs, adding: "Mantle is BitDAO’s demonstration to scale Ethereum and web3, enabling a whole new generation of use cases and innovations.”
Illuvium restrukturalizuje tým a snižuje měsíční burn rate blíže k 500 000 USD. Projekt má nyní 24měsíční runway a podle Kieran Warwicka nehledá nové financování.
Ethereum gaming franchise Illuvium has undergone a company restructuring, resulting in layoffs along with some core contributors opting to take pay cuts or receive their wages in the gaming IP’s own token.
The downsizing comes after Illuvium released a trio of interconnected games last year—Overworld, Arena, and Zero—that covered varying genres. Despite its ambitious vision, the community's reaction wasn't overwhelmingly positive following years of development.
In December, co-founder Kieran Warwick admitted that "concerns" about the franchise's gameplay were valid and that things had to change. Part of this included that Illuvium had "significantly" reduced its costs via capping wages at $85,000, among other adjustments.
But this week, Warwick said that more substantial cuts had to be made.
"We made the difficult decision to restructure our core contributor team to bring our monthly burn rate closer to $500,000," Warwick said in a Tuesday statement. "We want to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone affected by these changes."
The statement on X (formerly Twitter) further explains that some employees have "generously offered" to take pay cuts, while others have chosen to receive their salary in the project's ILV token rather than the USDC stablecoin. It also alludes to letting employees go as part of a “leaner” approach, although never explicitly says this is the case.
In the replies, Illuvium Community Manager DickKingz, also known as Rich, explained that the team is now down to 66 core contributors—down from between 100 to 150 people as of late.
"The trim to 66 was unfortunately a lot of my teammates and friends, and [I] hate to see them go," Rich said. "Hopefully it’s only bye for now, and in the future when things improve, we can bring many back."
Illuvium did not immediately respond to Decrypt's request for comment.
As a result of the restructuring, as well as some other operating cost cutting measures, Illuvium has gotten closer to its "burn rate" goal of $500,000—it was at $900,000 as of December. This means that the Illuvium franchise now has a 24-month runway to continue development.
Previously, Warwick explained that Illuvium planned to seek fresh funding around March. But in the wake of the restructuring, he confirmed that the franchise isn't looking to raise "right now."
He had also previously outlined a plan to move the franchise forward. The co-founder proposed focusing on one game at a time—rather than the three games it was developing—including reworking its Overworld to be a more streamlined version of a massively multiplayer online game, or MMO, and reducing in-game microtransactions.
It appears that the 24 month-runway will get the project to the point of completing its auto-battler, starting the rework of Overworld, and attempting to keep the community engaged, according to the restructuring statement.
"This is step one in the rebuild. Now we have the runway, and it will continue to be extended," Warwick said on X. "Enormous updates are coming mid-next month: Auto drone runs, multiplayer servers, and leaderboards reactivated."
"28-3 down with two minutes to go in the third quarter," he added, comparing the project to a losing team in a football game. "We're about to run this shit back so hard."

Guggenheim Treasury Securities uvedla na Ethereum první digitální komerční papír. Amp.Fi Digital pro ni emitovala tokenizovaný komerční papír za 20 milionů USD, ohodnocený ratingem Moody’s na P-1.
Global investment firm Guggenheim Treasury Securities has issued the first Digital Commercial Paper (DCP) on Ethereum, as the tokenization of financial instruments on blockchains gains traction among traditional finance giants.
Commercial paper is a kind of short-term debt security that corporations sell to raise funds. It differs from other debt instruments such as bonds and loans because it is unsecured and not backed by collateral.
Amp.Fi Digital, a blockchain platform designed to issue, trade and provide governance of digital assets, issued $20 million in tokenized commercial paper for Guggenheim on Ethereum, developer Zeconomy said Thursday.
The rollout of yet another tokenized real-world asset follows U.S. federal regulators’ approval of spot Bitcoin ETFs earlier this year, a watershed event that has fueled traditional finance titans’ appetites for blockchain-based digital assets, according to Zeconomy.
Moody’s Investor Service gave Guggenheim’s issuance a rating of P-1, its highest credit rating.
“As clearly demonstrated by the ETFs approval and the growth of the tokenization space, there is a massive demand for these digital assets, and we want to enable our partners so they can be at the forefront of what could be a transformative moment in the financial industry,” Zeconomy CEO Giacinto Cosenza said Thursday in a statement.
The rolling out of DCP on Ethereum marks the latest example of real-world asset tokenization on blockchains—a growing trend. Tokenized government securities such as U.S. Treasury Bills have hit more than $2 billion in market capitalization as institutional interest in the digital asset class accelerates, data from RWA.xyz shows.
In recent months, tokenized Treasury funds’ market capitalization have ballooned. BlackRock’s USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL), launched in March, holds $513 million in assets—up more than 100% since its debut, data shows.
Meanwhile, Franklin Templeton’s OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund's market capitalization (FOBXX) has soared to more than $420 million since its launch in 2021, according to the investment management firm's data.
