Will the recent negative trend continue leading up to its next earnings release, or is Cirrus Logic due for a breakout? Well, first let's take a quick look at the latest earnings report in order to get a better handle on the recent catalysts for Cirrus Logic, Inc. before we dive into how investors and analysts have reacted as of late.
Cirrus Logic Q1 Earnings Beat Estimates
Cirrus Logic reported first-quarter fiscal 2027 adjusted earnings of $1.84 per share, up 21.9% year over year and above the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.45. Strong demand for custom smartphone components supported the record first-quarter results.
Revenue increased 12.9% to $460 million, aligning with the consensus estimate. The strong results were primarily driven by robust shipments of custom components used in premium smartphones, showing that demand from major mobile customers remains healthy despite a competitive consumer electronics market. Quarterly revenues grew 2% sequentially as higher sales of components shipped into smartphones boosted results. Year over year, the gains from increased smartphone component demand were partly offset by previously expected pricing reductions.
Demand continued to be strong for custom boosted amplifiers and smart codecs. Cirrus anticipates these products will ship across multiple future smartphone generations. Development of the next-generation camera controller and a smart power IC for 3D sensing also remained on schedule.
The company’s largest customer accounted for 90% of total revenues in the fiscal first quarter.
Cirrus Logic's HPMS Sales Gain MomentumHigh-Performance Mixed-Signal revenues climbed to $210.7 million from $167.2 million a year earlier and represented 46% of net sales.
Audio revenues increased 3.7% to $249 million and represented 54% of quarterly sales.
Management described the opportunity pipeline across camera, battery and power applications as one of the strongest in the company's history. A power product is already shipping in tablets, while another product for an accessory has yet to reach the market. Additional phone and non-phone programs remain in active development.
Margins Absorb Pricing PressureNon-GAAP gross profit was $242.1 million, with gross margin edging up to 52.7% from 52.6% a year ago. Favorable product mix supported the year-over-year comparison, while higher freight and supply-chain costs limited the improvement. Sequentially, pricing reductions outweighed cost savings.
Non-GAAP operating expenses rose 13.3% year over year to $135.4 million. Higher employee-related costs were the main driver, with variable compensation, product development and professional expenses also contributing.
Non-GAAP operating income reached $106.7 million, while operating margin slipped to 23.2% from 23.3%.
Cirrus Logic's PC Outlook Faces DelaysCirrus lowered its fiscal 2027 PC revenue expectations. Constrained supply of a key industry platform, memory and component shortages and delayed model introductions pushed out expected growth. Management characterized these pressures as timing issues rather than a change in the underlying opportunity.
Customer interest remained strong for the company's low-power smart codec for AI-enabled PCs, with multiple designs targeted for next calendar year. Several customers also announced PCs based on NVIDIA's RTX Spark platform that are expected to ship later this year with Cirrus amplifiers and codecs.
Cirrus Extends Its Mixed-Signal ReachThe company taped out a new high-performance analog front-end family for smart meters and expects to begin sampling during the September quarter. The products combine higher-accuracy voltage and current measurement with on-chip processing for power-quality analysis and fault detection.
Cirrus is targeting a calendar 2028 market launch and sees potential applications in data center DC metrology, energy storage, EV charging and grid monitoring. A new GlobalFoundries agreement secures dedicated wafer capacity and pricing for 2027 and 2028 while supporting progress toward U.S. production.
Cirrus Logic's Cash Position Funds PrioritiesCash and investments totaled $1.2 billion at quarter-end, with no debt outstanding.
Operating cash flow was $64.1 million, and free cash flow totaled $48.6 million, translating into an 11% margin.
It spent $34.5 million to repurchase about 211,000 shares, leaving $239.6 million under its authorization. After quarter-end, it bought roughly 359,000 additional shares for $50.5 million. Management continues to prioritize organic investment, followed by acquisitions and buybacks, and is not considering a near-term dividend.
Guides for a Sequential Revenue IncreaseFor the second quarter of fiscal 2027, Cirrus expects revenues of $510-$570 million. The $540 million midpoint implies growth of 17% sequentially and a decline of 4% year over year.
GAAP gross margin is projected at 52-54%, including a temporary benefit from favorably priced wafers that should largely sell through during the quarter.
Non-GAAP operating expenses are expected at $140-$146 million.
Full-year expenses are expected to increase as Cirrus expands R&D investment, while the non-GAAP tax rate is forecast at 16-18%.

What this transaction means for investorsThis sale shouldn't concern investors. It was completed under a pre-adopted trading plan that allows insiders to sell regardless of the company's fundamentals. It also represented a small percentage of the insider's holdings in the company stock.
Importantly, TTM revenue grew 6% year over year -- consistent with the company's historical growth trend. Operating margin has also gradually expanded over the last few years, reaching 23% in 2025 and maintaining that level on a TTM basis.
The stock is modestly priced, trading at 13 times forward earnings estimates. Analysts still expect the company to post about 12% annualized earnings growth over the next two years. This could set up a buying opportunity after the recent pullback.

Cirrus Logic, Inc. (CRUS - Free Report) is building on a strong product pipeline and continued progress across its core audio and high-performance mixed-signal (HPMS) businesses. The company delivered record first-quarter fiscal 2027 results, with revenue of $460 million, up 13% year over year, while non-GAAP earnings per share reached a record $1.84. Management highlighted continued strong demand for custom boosted amplifiers and smart codecs, supported by a strong product cycle from its customer. These products are expected to continue across multiple future product generations, providing long-term visibility and sustained revenue contribution.
Cirrus Logic also sees significant opportunities to expand HPMS content in smartphones and related products. The company is progressing on its camera product roadmap and continues to collaborate with customers on battery and power products. The smart power IC for 3D sensing remains on schedule, while additional power and battery programs could expand content over time. Management said the pipeline across its core audio and HPMS businesses is the strongest it has seen in recent years.
Outside smartphones, the PC market remains the company's largest near-term growth opportunity. However, fiscal 2027 expectations for the PC business have been reduced due to constrained supply of a key platform, memory and component shortages, pricing pressure and delayed OEM model introductions. Management characterized these issues as timing rather than fundamental, noting that customer engagement, design-win momentum and competitive standing remain encouraging. Interest in Cirrus Logic's low-power smart codec for AI-enabled PCs was strong, with multiple customer engagements advancing for designs planned for next year.
The company is also broadening into professional audio, automotive, industrial and imaging markets. A new family of high-performance analog front-end products targeting smart meters is expected to begin sampling in the September quarter, with potential applications in energy storage, data center DC metrology, EV charging and grid monitoring. Cirrus Logic also secured dedicated wafer capacity and pricing with GlobalFoundries for 2027 and 2028.

Rising RF complexity and a multi-generational Android win support the Mobile content outlook, while the Qorvo combination could add scale, diversification and cost savings. Near-term demand remains steady, and the fall smartphone ramp should lift Mobile revenue. For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, Skyworks expects revenues to be between $1.01 billion and $1.06 billion. Mobile revenues are expected to grow sequentially in the high teens, driven by seasonal product launches at the largest customer. Broad Markets is projected to increase approximately 5% year over year and represent about 39% of sales. Gross margin is forecast between 44% and 45%.
Qualcomm Incorporated’s (QCOM - Free Report) diversification is gaining scale as automotive, industrial IoT and data center programs broaden revenue beyond handsets. Higher vehicle compute content, multi-generation auto wins and new data center engagements support a larger non-handset mix, while Modular expands the software stack for AI deployments. For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, Qualcomm forecasts revenues of $9.7-$10.5 billion. Key Takeaways Cirrus Logic posted record Q1 results, with adjusted EPS up 21.9% and revenues rising 12.9%.HPMS revenues climbed to $210.7 million, or 46% of sales, as new camera, power and battery products advance.Q2's $540 million revenue midpoint implies a 4% yearly decline as spending rises and PC growth is delayed. Cirrus Logic, Inc. (CRUS - Free Report) delivered record fiscal first-quarter results, but its next-quarter outlook makes the post-earnings picture less straightforward. Smartphone demand and high-performance mixed-signal momentum remain supportive.
The counterweight is a fiscal second-quarter revenue midpoint that implies a year-over-year decline, alongside higher operating expenses and delayed PC growth. Investors must weigh those pressures against an expanding product pipeline.
Cirrus Logic's Q1 Beat Sets a High BarFiscal first-quarter adjusted earnings reached $1.84 per share, up 21.9% year over year and above the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.45. Revenues increased 12.9% to about $460 million, supported by higher smartphone component sales.
Demand remained strong for custom boosted amplifiers and smart codecs. Cirrus expects those products to ship across multiple future smartphone generations, supporting its core audio business while research and development resources move toward newer applications.
CRUS HPMS Growth Broadens the Smartphone StoryHigh-Performance Mixed-Signal revenues climbed to $210.7 million from $167.2 million a year earlier and represented 46% of quarterly sales. Development remains active across a next-generation camera controller, a smart power integrated circuit for 3D sensing and additional battery and power products.
Texas Instruments Incorporated (TXN - Free Report) reported second-quarter 2026 revenue growth of 23%, led by industrial, data center and automotive demand. Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI - Free Report) posted 37% fiscal second-quarter revenue growth across all end markets. Those results provide broader mixed-signal demand context as Cirrus works to expand beyond its mobile concentration.
Cirrus Logic's Q2 Outlook Turns MixedFor the fiscal second quarter, Cirrus expects revenues of $510-$570 million. The $540 million midpoint implies 17% sequential growth but a 4% year-over-year decline, creating a tougher comparison after the June-quarter performance.
The outlook will test whether higher smartphone content and newer products can produce sustained growth beyond seasonal improvement. Weaker fiscal 2027 PC expectations also reduce one near-term diversification driver.
CRUS Spending and Wafer Benefits Shape MarginsGAAP gross margin is projected at 52%-54%. The range includes a temporary benefit from favorably priced wafers purchased under prior agreements with GlobalFoundries, with that tranche expected to largely sell through during the quarter.
Non-GAAP operating expenses are expected at $140-$146 million, up from $135.4 million in the first quarter. Full-year operating expenses are also expected to rise as Cirrus increases research and development investment.
Cirrus Logic's PC Delays Shift Growth to 2027Management lowered fiscal 2027 PC revenue expectations because of constrained supply of a key industry platform, memory and component shortages and delayed model introductions. The company characterized those issues as timing-related rather than a change in the underlying opportunity.
Customer interest in Cirrus' low-power smart codec for AI-enabled PCs remained strong, with multiple designs targeted for calendar 2027. Several customers also announced PCs based on NVIDIA's RTX Spark platform that are expected to ship later in 2026 with Cirrus amplifiers and codecs.
CRUS Signals Temper the Post-Earnings ReadThe earnings beat and HPMS expansion support the longer-term product story, but the fiscal second-quarter year-over-year decline, higher spending and delayed PC growth keep the near-term setup cautious. New content will need to translate into steadier growth.
CRUS currently carries a Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell). It has a Growth Score of B, Momentum Score of B and VGM Score of B, while its Value Score is C. The B scores indicate favorable characteristics in several styles, but Style Scores complement the Zacks Rank. With the Rank at #5, the near-term signal remains unfavorable despite the strong first-quarter results. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.
Key Takeaways Cirrus Logic trades near its five-year valuation floor as weaker forward earnings temper the discount.Q1 EPS rose 21.9% and revenues 12.9%, but current-year EPS estimates fell about 5% in four weeks.Cirrus Logic's largest customer made up about 90% of Q1 revenues, keeping concentration risk elevated. Cirrus Logic, Inc. (CRUS - Free Report) presents a clear trade-off for investors. Its valuation has compressed toward the low end of its five-year range, while forward earnings expectations have weakened.
Strong smartphone execution, a debt-free balance sheet and a broader product pipeline provide support. Customer concentration, delayed PC growth and higher research and development spending keep the near-term setup more demanding.
CRUS Valuation Sits Near Its Five-Year FloorCRUS trades at 13.36 times forward 12-month earnings, below the Zacks semiconductor sub-industry multiple of 14.58 times. Its five-year median is 18.75 times, while the five-year low is 12.42 times.
That puts the current multiple close to the bottom of its historical range. The discount is visible, but valuation has to be considered alongside the weaker earnings trajectory rather than as a stand-alone reason to buy.
Cirrus Logic's Q1 Strength Meets an EPS ResetFiscal first-quarter adjusted earnings reached $1.84 per share, up 21.9% year over year and above the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.45. Revenues increased 12.9% to about $460 million as smartphone component demand supported results.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for current-fiscal-year earnings is $7.47 per share, below fiscal 2026 earnings of $9.26. The current-fiscal-year EPS estimate has also moved about 5% lower over the past four weeks, showing that the recent quarterly beat has not prevented a broader reset in expectations.
CRUS Customer Concentration Keeps Risk ElevatedCirrus' largest customer represented about 90% of first-quarter revenues. That concentration leaves the company exposed to changes in product timing, sourcing decisions and pricing, while anticipated selling-price reductions and slower PC growth add execution risk.
Texas Instruments Incorporated (TXN - Free Report) generated 2025 revenues across industrial, automotive, personal electronics, data center and communications equipment markets. Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI - Free Report) reported fiscal second-quarter 2026 growth across all end markets, with industrial representing 50% of revenues. Their broader end-market mixes provide context for how concentrated Cirrus remains while newer businesses scale.
Cirrus Logic's Cash Supports Investment and BuybacksCirrus ended the quarter with $1.2 billion in cash and investments and no debt. Free cash flow totaled $48.6 million, giving the company financial flexibility as it increases research and development spending to support opportunities across audio and high-performance mixed-signal products.

The company spent $34.5 million to repurchase about 211,000 shares during the quarter and had $239.6 million remaining under its authorization. After quarter-end, it used another $50.5 million for repurchases. Management continues to prioritize organic investment, followed by acquisitions and buybacks.
CRUS Signals Still Favor PatienceThe low valuation improves the stock's price-to-earnings backdrop, but slower earnings expectations, customer concentration and delayed PC growth keep the investment case unsettled. The current discount is more useful as context than as a stand-alone buy signal.
CRUS currently carries a Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell). It has a Growth Score of B, Momentum Score of B and VGM Score of B, while its Value Score is C. The B scores show favorable characteristics in several styles, but the Style Scores are designed to complement the Zacks Rank. With a #5 Rank and falling earnings estimates, the near-term signal still favors patience. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.
Key Takeaways Cirrus Logic shares fell 12.2% in a month as softer PC growth and earnings expectations weighed on the setup.Q2 revenue midpoint implies 17% sequential growth but a 4% yearly decline, limiting the recovery signal.HPMS revenue rose to $210.7M, but about 90% of Q1 sales came from Cirrus Logic's largest customer. Shares of Cirrus Logic, Inc. (CRUS - Free Report) have fallen 12.2% in the past month, putting the latest pullback in focus. The question is whether the decline has created a better entry point or reflects risks that may persist.
Near-term growth is being checked by a softer PC outlook, earnings estimate weakness and margin pressure. At the same time, smartphone demand and a broader high-performance mixed-signal pipeline provide offsets, making the setup more mixed than the stock move alone suggests.
CRUS Selloff Meets Softer Near-Term GrowthFor the fiscal second quarter, Cirrus expects revenues of $510 million to $570 million. At the midpoint, that would be up 17% sequentially but down 4% year over year, showing that seasonal recovery does not translate into annual growth.
The broader fiscal 2027 picture is also restrained. Projected sales growth is 3%, while projected EPS growth is negative 19.3%. Those figures help explain why the 12.2% decline cannot be judged on price alone.
Cirrus Logic's PC Delays Extend the Growth GapCirrus lowered its fiscal 2027 PC revenue expectations after constrained supply of a key industry platform, memory and component shortages and delayed model introductions pushed expected growth out. New launches generally carry higher content per system and, in many cases, higher volumes.
Management views these issues as timing rather than a fundamental change. Customer interest in Cirrus' low-power smart codec for AI-enabled PCs remained strong in the June quarter, and the company advanced engagements with multiple customers on designs targeted for calendar 2027.
CRUS Margins Face Pricing and Cost PressureGross-margin flexibility remains limited by previously anticipated pricing reductions and higher freight and supply-chain costs. Favorable product mix helped offset part of that pressure, while cost reductions softened the sequential impact from pricing.
For the fiscal second quarter, Cirrus expects GAAP gross margin of 52%-54%. The range includes a temporary benefit from wafers bought under prior GlobalFoundries agreements at favorable pricing, and that tranche is expected to largely sell through during the quarter.
Cirrus Logic's Mobile Pipeline Offers a CounterweightThe smartphone business remains the main counterweight. First-quarter revenues rose 12.9% year over year to $459.7 million, while high-performance mixed-signal revenues increased to $210.7 million from $167.2 million. Camera, battery and power programs offer paths to push mixed-signal content higher.
Broader analog demand is not uniformly weak. Texas Instruments Incorporated (TXN - Free Report) reported second-quarter 2026 revenue growth of 23%, led by industrial, data center and automotive demand. Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI - Free Report) reported fiscal second-quarter 2026 revenue growth across all end markets, led by industrial and communications. For Cirrus, however, customer concentration remains a major constraint, with roughly 90% of first-quarter revenues tied to its largest customer.
CRUS Signals Favor Caution After the PullbackThe 12.2% decline lowers the entry price, but it does not remove the operating risks. Softer PC timing, muted fiscal 2027 growth expectations and margin pressure leave several variables that need to improve before the pullback alone becomes a stronger investment signal.
CRUS currently carries a Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell). It has a Growth Score of B, Momentum Score of B and VGM Score of B, while its Value Score is C. The B grades show favorable characteristics in several styles, but Style Scores complement rather than override the Zacks Rank. With the Rank still at #5, the near-term signal remains cautious. You can see the complete list of today’s Zacks #1 Rank (Strong Buy) stocks here.

Cirrus Logic's 52-Week High is More Than an Apple StoryCirrus Logic NASDAQ: CRUS executives said the company sees a strong pipeline of opportunities across high-performance mixed-signal products, while continuing to manage supply-chain constraints and delayed platform ramps affecting portions of its smartphone and PC businesses.
Speaking at a KeyBanc Capital Markets event, Carl Alberty, Cirrus Logic’s executive vice president of mixed-signal products, said the company’s opportunity pipeline reflects execution on its longstanding strategy to expand beyond audio products. Rather than simply presenting prospective capabilities to customers, the company has focused on demonstrating intellectual property through working silicon, he said.
Get Cirrus Logic alerts:
Cirrus Logic Upgraded After Q3 Earnings Beat—More Gains Ahead?“That effort to prove out that IP in silicon is starting to become real,” Alberty said, describing opportunities for both incremental growth and next-generation content expansion.
Smartphone content opportunities Alberty said Cirrus Logic does not expect to ramp brand-new custom silicon products during the current year. However, he said the company sees potential for incremental content gains through attachment rates and configurations of its existing audio and high-performance mixed-signal portfolio.
4 Reasons GlobalFoundries Could Be a Big Winner After Recent LowsOn a power integrated circuit being developed for 3D sensing, Alberty said it is reasonable to view the potential content value as roughly comparable to the power-conversion IC Cirrus Logic currently ships. The new product remains on track, he said, though the company must continue executing and supporting its customer.
He characterized the 3D-sensing IC as an enhancement within an existing subsystem, in contrast with the company’s power conversion and control IC, which represented a new function and the first chip of its kind for that application.
Cirrus Logic also expects further runway for its camera-controller products. Alberty said the company has deployed three generations of the products over the past five to six years, with each generation providing greater performance capabilities and value. A fourth generation is under development, he said.
The company has seen adoption of multiple camera-controller generations within the same product as new versions are introduced, as well as differing attachment rates across product portfolios, according to Alberty.
Supply chain, margins and capacity Chief Financial Officer Jeff Woolard said supply-chain cost increases and capacity constraints extend beyond memory and include system-on-chip supply and back-end manufacturing. For Cirrus Logic, however, previously negotiated input-cost agreements had limited the immediate effect of higher costs.
Woolard said the company was nearing the end of an agreement with one foundry and preparing to enter another arrangement intended to provide capacity and pricing certainty. He said Cirrus Logic continues to work aggressively on supply-chain management and cost-reduction opportunities and could consider targeted price increases if necessary.
Despite the supply environment, Woolard said the company had guided for gross margin to increase somewhat during the quarter, primarily because of the timing of prior negotiated agreements. He added that management remained comfortable with its long-term gross-margin outlook.
While Woolard said Cirrus Logic was not constrained, he identified outsourced semiconductor assembly and test providers, or OSATs, as an especially tight area. The company has begun purchasing some test equipment that can be placed at OSAT facilities.
According to Woolard, owning the capital equipment can provide a better return on investment than having an OSAT buy it and incorporate the expense into pricing. It can also provide flexibility, including the ability to move test equipment between OSAT providers to manage capacity.
PC headwinds and voice-enabled devices Alberty said Cirrus Logic’s PC business has faced headwinds from delayed new-platform ramps, supply allocation issues, memory shortages and expectations for lower unit demand in the second half of the year. Those delays have affected programs that would carry higher codec and amplifier content for the company.
He said the issues were not systemic and that Cirrus Logic continues to see strong customer engagement and design activity. The company has gained share in commercial PCs and more recently in mainstream, lower-priced tiers, though it is not yet fully penetrated in the mainstream market.
Cirrus Logic plans to increase adoption of higher-content amplifiers and codecs and to bring voice-enablement features into additional product tiers. Alberty said the voice opportunity is primarily centered on enhanced codecs that integrate digital signal processing and an analog signal chain for low-power voice activity detection and trigger phrases.
The company views this always-on, ultra-low-power voice interface as its principal contribution to AI PCs. Alberty said the ultimate AI functionality that could drive broader device upgrade cycles is outside Cirrus Logic’s direct control.
He also said the transition to SoundWire in PCs has been delayed, as ecosystem partners have pushed a harder requirement into next year amid platform challenges. Cirrus Logic’s win rate on SoundWire codec platforms has remained in the roughly 75% range, he said.
New markets, investment and M&A Beyond smartphones and PCs, Alberty said Cirrus Logic is pursuing physical-AI-related applications spanning voice, force and touch sensing, output and actuation. Potential markets include edge devices, robotics, autonomous machines, wearables, augmented and virtual reality products, and industrial automation.
He said the company’s consumer-oriented design pipeline is particularly active in emerging form factors, while opportunities in robotics and industrial automation may have a longer development horizon. Alberty declined to discuss whether Cirrus Logic is developing or pursuing neural processing unit capabilities, but said the company is conducting development work around machine learning at the edge.
The company is also deploying a high-performance analog front-end product in smart utility meters, beginning with electricity metering. Alberty said the underlying technology could potentially be applied in electric-vehicle charging, solar, energy storage, metrology and data-center applications.
Woolard said Cirrus Logic intends to remain disciplined in operating expenses while investing in opportunities that it believes can create value. He said the company’s decades of existing intellectual property can often be applied efficiently to new product areas. After funding internal opportunities, mergers and acquisitions remain the company’s second capital-allocation priority, with management evaluating deals that could accelerate expansion beyond smartphones or create synergies with adjacent markets.

Given the extensive global presence of this chipmaker, analyzing the patterns in international revenues is crucial for understanding its financial strength and potential for growth.
In the current global economy, which is more interconnected than ever, a company's success in penetrating international markets is crucial for its financial health and growth journey. Investors must understand a company's dependence on overseas markets, as this offers a window into the company's earnings stability, its ability to benefit from varied economic cycles and its potential for long-term growth.
Being present in international markets serves as a counterbalance to domestic economic challenges while offering chances to engage with more rapidly evolving economies. However, this kind of diversification introduces challenges like currency fluctuations, geopolitical uncertainties and varying market trends.
Upon examining CRUS' recent quarterly performance, we noticed several interesting patterns in the revenue generated from its international segments, which are commonly analyzed and observed by Wall Street experts.
For the quarter, the company's total revenue amounted to $459.72 million, experiencing an increase of 12.9% year over year. Next, we'll explore the breakdown of CRUS' international revenue to understand the importance of its overseas business operations.
Decoding CRUS' International Revenue TrendsChina generated $216.71 million in revenues for the company in the last quarter, constituting 47.1% of the total. When compared to the preceding quarter and the same quarter in the previous year, Rest of World contributed $227.79 million (50.8%) and $212.67 million (52.2%) to the total revenue, respectively.
Anticipated Revenues in Overseas MarketsThe current fiscal quarter's total revenue for Cirrus Logic, as projected by Wall Street analysts, is expected to reach $540.5 million, reflecting a decline of 3.7% from the same quarter last year. The breakdown of this revenue by foreign region is as follows: China is anticipated to contribute 57.1% or $308.35 million, and Rest of World 48% or $259.52 million.
Analysts expect the company to report a total annual revenue of $2.06 billion for the full year, marking an increase of 3% compared to last year. The expected revenue contributions from China and Rest of World are projected to be 54.9% ($1.13 billion), and 47.1% ($968.92 million) of the total revenue, in that order.

Cirrus Logic, Inc. (CRUS - Free Report) reported first-quarter fiscal 2027 adjusted earnings of $1.84 per share, up 21.9% year over year and above the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.45.

CRUS Margins Absorb Pricing PressureNon-GAAP gross profit was $242.1 million, with gross margin edging up to 52.7% from 52.6% a year ago.
CRUS Extends Its Mixed-Signal ReachThe company taped out a new high-performance analog front-end family for smart meters and expects to begin sampling during the September quarter.

Management continues to prioritize organic investment, followed by acquisitions and buybacks, and is not considering a near-term dividend.
CRUS Guides for a Sequential Revenue IncreaseFor the second quarter of fiscal 2027, Cirrus expects revenues of $510-$570 million.

Wall Street expects a year-over-year increase in earnings on higher revenues when Cirrus Logic (CRUS - Free Report) reports results for the quarter ended June 2026. While this widely-known consensus outlook is important in gauging the company's earnings picture, a powerful factor that could impact its near-term stock price is how the actual results compare to these estimates.
The earnings report, which is expected to be released on August 5, might help the stock move higher if these key numbers are better than expectations. On the other hand, if they miss, the stock may move lower.
While management's discussion of business conditions on the earnings call will mostly determine the sustainability of the immediate price change and future earnings expectations, it's worth having a handicapping insight into the odds of a positive EPS surprise.
Zacks Consensus EstimateThis chipmaker is expected to post quarterly earnings of $1.80 per share in its upcoming report, which represents a year-over-year change of +19.2%.
Revenues are expected to be $459.88 million, up 12.9% from the year-ago quarter.
Estimate Revisions TrendThe consensus EPS estimate for the quarter has been revised 0.21% lower over the last 30 days to the current level. This is essentially a reflection of how the covering analysts have collectively reassessed their initial estimates over this period.
Investors should keep in mind that an aggregate change may not always reflect the direction of estimate revisions by each of the covering analysts.
Price, Consensus and EPS Surprise
Earnings WhisperEstimate revisions ahead of a company's earnings release offer clues to the business conditions for the period whose results are coming out. Our proprietary surprise prediction model -- the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) -- has this insight at its core.
The Zacks Earnings ESP compares the Most Accurate Estimate to the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the quarter; the Most Accurate Estimate is a more recent version of the Zacks Consensus EPS estimate. The idea here is that analysts revising their estimates right before an earnings release have the latest information, which could potentially be more accurate than what they and others contributing to the consensus had predicted earlier.
Thus, a positive or negative Earnings ESP reading theoretically indicates the likely deviation of the actual earnings from the consensus estimate. However, the model's predictive power is significant for positive ESP readings only.
A positive Earnings ESP is a strong predictor of an earnings beat, particularly when combined with a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), 2 (Buy) or 3 (Hold). Our research shows that stocks with this combination produce a positive surprise nearly 70% of the time, and a solid Zacks Rank actually increases the predictive power of Earnings ESP.
Please note that a negative Earnings ESP reading is not indicative of an earnings miss. Our research shows that it is difficult to predict an earnings beat with any degree of confidence for stocks with negative Earnings ESP readings and/or Zacks Rank of 4 (Sell) or 5 (Strong Sell).
How Have the Numbers Shaped Up for Cirrus Logic? For Cirrus Logic, the Most Accurate Estimate is higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate, suggesting that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This has resulted in an Earnings ESP of +1.25%.
On the other hand, the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank of #4.
So, this combination makes it difficult to conclusively predict that Cirrus Logic will beat the consensus EPS estimate.
Does Earnings Surprise History Hold Any Clue? While calculating estimates for a company's future earnings, analysts often consider to what extent it has been able to match past consensus estimates. So, it's worth taking a look at the surprise history for gauging its influence on the upcoming number.
For the last reported quarter, it was expected that Cirrus Logic would post earnings of $1.76 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.95, delivering a surprise of +10.80%.
Over the last four quarters, the company has beaten consensus EPS estimates four times.
Bottom LineAn earnings beat or miss may not be the sole basis for a stock moving higher or lower. Many stocks end up losing ground despite an earnings beat due to other factors that disappoint investors. Similarly, unforeseen catalysts help a number of stocks gain despite an earnings miss.
That said, betting on stocks that are expected to beat earnings expectations does increase the odds of success. This is why it's worth checking a company's Earnings ESP and Zacks Rank ahead of its quarterly release. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.
Cirrus Logic doesn't appear a compelling earnings-beat candidate. However, investors should pay attention to other factors too for betting on this stock or staying away from it ahead of its earnings release.
Expected Results of an Industry PlayerAmong the stocks in the Zacks Electronics - Semiconductors industry, Entegris (ENTG - Free Report) , is soon expected to post earnings of $0.83 per share for the quarter ended June 2026. This estimate indicates a year-over-year change of +25.8%. This quarter's revenue is expected to be $839.9 million, up 6% from the year-ago quarter.
Over the last 30 days, the consensus EPS estimate for Entegris has been revised 3.3% up to the current level. Nevertheless, the company now has an Earnings ESP of +0.51%, reflecting a higher Most Accurate Estimate.
This Earnings ESP, combined with its Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), suggests that Entegris will most likely beat the consensus EPS estimate. Over the last four quarters, the company surpassed consensus EPS estimates three times.

Have you been searching for a stock that might be well-positioned to maintain its earnings-beat streak in its upcoming report? It is worth considering Cirrus Logic (CRUS - Free Report) , which belongs to the Zacks Electronics - Semiconductors industry.
This chipmaker has seen a nice streak of beating earnings estimates, especially when looking at the previous two reports. The average surprise for the last two quarters was 16.76%.
For the most recent quarter, Cirrus Logic was expected to post earnings of $1.76 per share, but it reported $1.95 per share instead, representing a surprise of 10.80%. For the previous quarter, the consensus estimate was $2.42 per share, while it actually produced $2.97 per share, a surprise of 22.73%.
With this earnings history in mind, recent estimates have been moving higher for Cirrus Logic. In fact, the Zacks Earnings ESP (Expected Surprise Prediction) for the company is positive, which is a great sign of an earnings beat, especially when you combine this metric with its nice Zacks Rank.
Our research shows that stocks with the combination of a positive Earnings ESP and a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) or better produce a positive surprise nearly 70% of the time. In other words, if you have 10 stocks with this combination, the number of stocks that beat the consensus estimate could be as high as seven.
The Zacks Earnings ESP compares the Most Accurate Estimate to the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the quarter; the Most Accurate Estimate is a version of the Zacks Consensus whose definition is related to change. The idea here is that analysts revising their estimates right before an earnings release have the latest information, which could potentially be more accurate than what they and others contributing to the consensus had predicted earlier.
Cirrus Logic currently has an Earnings ESP of +1.25%, which suggests that analysts have recently become bullish on the company's earnings prospects. This positive Earnings ESP when combined with the stock's Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) indicates that another beat is possibly around the corner. We expect the company's next earnings report to be released on August 5, 2026.
With the Earnings ESP metric, it's important to note that a negative value reduces its predictive power; however, a negative Earnings ESP does not indicate an earnings miss.
Many companies end up beating the consensus EPS estimate, but that may not be the sole basis for their stocks moving higher. On the other hand, some stocks may hold their ground even if they end up missing the consensus estimate.
Because of this, it's really important to check a company's Earnings ESP ahead of its quarterly release to increase the odds of success. Make sure to utilize our Earnings ESP Filter to uncover the best stocks to buy or sell before they've reported.
Key Takeaways CRUS expects another year of strong PC growth in fiscal 2027 after share gains across all PC categories.Cirrus Logic sees SDCA designs contributing nearly 80% of PC revenue in fiscal 2027 as adoption grows.CRUS guided Q1 fiscal 2027 revenue of $430M-$490M, implying 13% year-over-year growth at midpoint. Cirrus Logic, Inc.'s (CRUS - Free Report) PC business is emerging as an important growth driver, and management expects this momentum to continue into fiscal 2027. During fiscal 2026, the company delivered strong year-over-year revenue growth in its PC segment, supported primarily by share gains across all PC categories. Cirrus Logic expanded its product portfolio by introducing new amplifiers and codecs designed for a broader range of platforms, including mainstream and AI-enabled PCs.
The company also highlighted that voice will play an increasingly important role in enabling agentic interactions across edge devices, including PCs, and plans to leverage its expertise in audio and high-performance mixed-signal technologies to enhance AI-driven user experiences. With robust design momentum across its PC portfolio, management expects increased adoption of the SoundWire Device Class Audio (SDCA) interface and higher content per device to support another year of strong PC business growth in fiscal 2027.
On the last earnings call, management stated that the PC business grew from revenue in the low tens of millions of dollars in fiscal 2025 to the $40 million range in fiscal 2026. The company exited fiscal 2026 with strong momentum and is now shipping products to the top six laptop vendors. Cirrus Logic identified the ongoing transition from the legacy HDA audio interface to SDCA as a key growth driver. During fiscal 2026, SDCA-related revenue tripled and accounted for nearly 60% of total PC revenue after passing an important inflection point. The company expects SDCA-based designs to contribute nearly 80% of its PC revenue in fiscal 2027, reflecting continued customer adoption of the newer interface.
The company also noted that its penetration into mainstream PC devices continues to improve. While this segment represented only a small portion of revenue in previous years, Cirrus Logic expects more than half of its PC revenue in fiscal 2027 to come from mainstream devices. Management stated that customer design activity remains strong and believes the company can deliver another year of solid PC growth even if the broader PC market experiences some moderation. Cirrus Logic added that its focus on leading OEMs and higher-tier devices provides confidence in the continued expansion of its PC business during fiscal 2027.
For the first quarter of fiscal 2027, the company expects revenues between $430 million and $490 million, implying 3% sequential increase and 13% year-over-year growth at the midpoint of the guidance range.
Taking a Look at CRUS’ CompetitorsQualcomm Incorporated (QCOM - Free Report) continues to pivot from a handset-centric model toward a broader connected processor portfolio. Solid traction in the automotive business augurs well, with more than 1 million cars operating ADAS and autonomy on Snapdragon Ride processors. Higher content per vehicle on the Snapdragon Digital Chassis, broader edge AI adoption across devices and data center traction are positives. The Alphawave buyout adds high-speed wired connectivity IP and custom silicon capabilities to help accelerate its expansion into data centers. For the third quarter of fiscal 2026, Qualcomm guided revenues of $9.2-$10.0 billion and non-GAAP earnings of $2.10-$2.30, reflecting expected softness tied to the same memory-driven OEM behavior that shaped the March quarter.
Skyworks Solutions, Inc. (SWKS - Free Report) is gaining momentum in Broad Markets, helped by Wi-Fi 7 adoption, automotive infotainment wins and timing products tied to higher data center data rates. Management cited nine consecutive quarters of Broad Markets growth and expects the segment to rise modestly sequentially in the June quarter. In Mobile, a multi-generational design win with a leading Android OEM extends the premium pipeline and supports a steadier content outlook beyond the next seasonal cycle. For the third quarter of fiscal 2026, Skyworks expects revenues in the range of $900 million to $950 million. Management anticipates mobile to decline low single digits sequentially, consistent with typical seasonality, while Broad Markets is expected to rise modestly sequentially and represent about 43% of sales, up high single digits year over year.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores is a unique set of guidelines that rates stocks based on three popular investing types, and were developed as complementary indicators for the Zacks Rank. This combination helps investors choose securities with the highest chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.
Each stock is given an alphabetic rating of A, B, C, D or F based on their value, growth, and momentum qualities. With this system, an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on, meaning the better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform.
The Style Scores are broken down into four categories:
Value ScoreValue investors love finding good stocks at good prices, especially before the broader market catches on to a stock's true value. Utilizing ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and many other multiples, the Value Style Score identifies the most attractive and most discounted stocks.
Growth ScoreWhile good value is important, growth investors are more focused on a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score takes projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow into account to uncover stocks that will see long-term, sustainable growth.
Momentum ScoreMomentum investors, who live by the saying "the trend is your friend," are most interested in taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Utilizing one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, among other factors, the Momentum Style Score can help determine favorable times to buy high-momentum stocks.
VGM ScoreIf you like to use all three kinds of investing, then the VGM Score is for you. It's a combination of all Style Scores, and is an important indicator to use with the Zacks Rank. The VGM Score rates each stock on their shared weighted styles, narrowing down the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum.
How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank The Zacks Rank is a proprietary stock-rating model that harnesses the power of earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings expectations, to help investors build a successful portfolio.
Investors can count on the Zacks Rank's success, with #1 (Strong Buy) stocks producing an unmatched +23.94% average annual return since 1988, more than double the S&P 500's performance. But the model rates a large number of stocks, and there are over 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, plus another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.
With more than 800 top-rated stocks to choose from, it can certainly feel overwhelming to pick the ones that are right for you and your investing journey.
That's where the Style Scores come in.
You want to make sure you're buying stocks with the highest likelihood of success, and to do that, you'll need to pick stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B. If you like a stock that only has a #3 (Hold) rank, it should also have Scores of A or B to guarantee as much upside potential as possible.
Since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank, the direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy.
Here's an example: a stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, even one with Style Scores of A and B, still has a downward-trending earnings outlook, and a bigger chance its share price will decrease too.
Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.
Stock to Watch: Cirrus Logic (CRUS - Free Report) Headquarterd in Austin, TX, Cirrus Logic is a fabless semiconductor supplier, which develops low-power, high-precision mixed-signal processing solutions.
CRUS is a #2 (Buy) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of B.
Additionally, the company could be a top pick for growth investors. CRUS has a Growth Style Score of A, forecasting year-over-year earnings growth of 2.6% for the current fiscal year.
For fiscal 2027, one analyst revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days, and the Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.02 to $9.50 per share. CRUS boasts an average earnings surprise of +23.1%.
With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Growth and VGM Style Scores, CRUS should be on investors' short list.

What are the Zacks Style Scores? The Zacks Style Scores, developed alongside the Zacks Rank, are complementary indicators that rate stocks based on three widely-followed investing methodologies; they also help investors pick stocks with the best chances of beating the market over the next 30 days.
Each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics. Just like in school, an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on -- that means the better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform.
Growth ScoreGrowth investors are more concerned with a stock's future prospects, and the overall financial health and strength of a company. Thus, the Growth Style Score analyzes characteristics like projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks that will see sustainable growth over time.
VGM ScoreIf you want a combination of all three Style Scores, then the VGM Score will be your friend. It rates each stock on their combined weighted styles, helping you find the companies with the most attractive value, best growth forecast, and most promising momentum. It's also one of the best indicators to use with the Zacks Rank.
How Style Scores Work with the Zacks Rank The Zacks Rank, which is a proprietary stock-rating model, employs earnings estimate revisions, or changes to a company's earnings expectations, to make building a winning portfolio easier.
Investors can count on the Zacks Rank's success, with #1 (Strong Buy) stocks producing an unmatched +24% average annual return since 1988, more than double the S&P 500's performance.
To maximize your returns, you want to buy stocks with the highest probability of success. This means picking stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 or #2 that also have Style Scores of A or B. If you find yourself looking at stocks with a #3 (Hold) rank, make sure they have Scores of A or B as well to ensure as much upside potential as possible.
As mentioned above, the Scores are designed to work with the Zacks Rank, so any change to a company's earnings outlook should be a deciding factor when picking which stocks to buy.
A stock with a #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell) rating, for instance, even one with Scores of A and B, will still have a declining earnings forecast, and a greater chance its share price will fall too.
Thus, the more stocks you own with a #1 or #2 Rank and Scores of A or B, the better.

Key Takeaways CRUS beat Q4 EPS estimates as revenue rose 6% year over year on strong smartphone demand.Cirrus Logic expanded into camera controllers and smart power ICs to diversify revenue streams.CRUS guided Q1 fiscal 2027 revenue growth of 13% year over year at the midpoint. Cirrus Logic Inc. (CRUS - Free Report) reported fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.95, which surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.76. The company reported adjusted EPS of $1.67 in the prior-year quarter.
Revenue for the quarter came in at $448.5 million, exceeding the midpoint of guidance ($410-$470 million). Revenue declined 23% sequentially due to weaker smartphone unit shipments but increased 6% year over year, mainly driven by robust demand for smartphone components. The growth was partly offset by pricing pressure and softer sales in general markets. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues was pegged at $439.8 million.
Cirrus Logic generated $2 billion in revenue for fiscal 2026, reflecting a 5% increase from the previous year, driven by strong demand for smartphone components and higher component sales for PCs. A key development from the earnings announcement was its expansion into new smartphone silicon categories, including next-generation camera controllers and smart power ICs. Beyond smartphones, Cirrus Logic reported strong year-over-year growth in its PC business. The company’s expansion into laptops and PCs helps reduce concentration risk while opening new long-term revenue streams.
A key theme throughout the earnings report was the importance of diversification. Cirrus Logic has spent several years expanding both its product portfolio and customer base. It highlighted growth in smartphones outside of audio applications, as well as growth in PCs and laptops, general market products and power-related semiconductor solutions. This diversification strategy is important because semiconductor markets can be cyclical. Expanding across multiple end markets can help stabilize revenue and reduce dependence on any single product category.

Cirrus Logic, Inc. is rated Hold with a $154 price target, reflecting limited upside as shares trade near the upper end of historical EV/aEBITDA multiples. CRUS benefits from operational momentum, strong Apple partnership through 2030, and strategic R&D investments targeting industrial automation and AI-enabled devices. Financial flexibility is robust, with $888M in cash, no debt, and active share repurchases, supporting potential R&D expansion or acquisitions.
Apple's (AAPL 1.23%) iPhone sales increased at a solid clip in the first quarter of 2026, driven by a huge installed base of users that are in an upgrade window and the strong demand for the tech giant's smartphones in China.
Market research firm Counterpoint Research notes that Apple's iPhone shipments increased by 5% year over year in the first quarter of 2026. This increase in sales came at a time when the overall smartphone market declined by 6% in Q1 due to a memory shortage and rising component costs. The Magnificent Seven company's resilient growth in Q1 made it the world's top smartphone vendor with a 21% market share.
Cirrus Logic (CRUS +0.66%) has turned out to be a big beneficiary of Apple's improving sales. The semiconductor stock is already up 40% in 2026 as of this writing, and its close ties with Apple suggest it could deliver more upside in the future.
Let's look at the reasons why this Apple supplier's impressive stock market rally is sustainable.

Cirrus Logic is delivering healthy growth due to solid iPhone sales Cirrus Logic designs audio chips, camera controllers, haptics and sensing solutions, and power management chips for smartphones, computers, tablets, and wearable devices. Apple is its largest customer, accounting for 92% of its revenue in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026 (which ended on March 28).

The healthy growth in iPhone sales rubbed off positively on Cirrus. The chip designer's revenue increased by 6% year over year to $449 million. What's more, its earnings increased by a much more impressive rate of 17% from the year-ago period to $1.95 per share. The full-year earnings growth was also quite solid at 23% to $9.26 per share.
Cirrus noted that its margin profile is improving due to a better product mix, which isn't surprising given that the company has been winning more business from Apple. Cirrus was originally a supplier of audio codecs for Apple's devices, but it has diversified into providing haptics solutions and camera controllers over the past couple of years.
The good news for Cirrus investors is that it is poised to win more content in Apple's devices. Apple announced in March this year that Cirrus Logic is a part of its American Manufacturing Program (AMP), developing "mixed-signal solutions for a number of Apple applications, including advanced ICs to power Face ID systems." The Face ID chip is a new opportunity for Cirrus, as management noted on the latest earnings call.
Cirrus, therefore, seems well-positioned to capitalize on the strong iPhone upgrade cycle. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) features in iPhones is encouraging users to upgrade quickly to new devices, as noted by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners last year. Moreover, Dan Ives of Wedbush Securities pointed out after the iPhone 17 launch in September 2025 that there are 315 million iPhones that haven't been upgraded in four years.
All this explains why Apple has been able to overcome the broader weakness in the smartphone market. Moreover, Cirrus Logic's guidance for the current quarter indicates its growth is poised to accelerate.
The company expects $460 million in revenue in the current quarter at the midpoint of its guidance range. That would be an improvement of 13% from the year-ago period. Looking ahead, Cirrus Logic's revenue growth could accelerate nicely due to robust iPhone demand and the new chips it will deploy for Apple.
This could pave the way for healthy growth at Cirrus, potentially unlocking more upside.
Analysts may be underestimating its growth potential Cirrus Logic finished fiscal 2026 with $2 billion in revenue, an increase of 5% over the prior year. Analysts are projecting single-digit revenue growth from the company over the next couple of years.
Data by YCharts
However, we have already seen that the company is expecting robust double-digit growth in the current quarter. With the new business that's coming its way, don't be surprised to see Cirrus' growth significantly outpacing analysts' estimates in the future. Assuming it can clock even 10% revenue growth in the current and next fiscal years, its top line could reach $2.42 billion.
Cirrus is trading at just 4.5 times sales right now, a discount to the tech-focused Nasdaq Composite index's price-to-sales ratio of 5.5. Assuming it trades in line with the index's average after a couple of years and achieves $2.42 billion in revenue, its market cap could increase to $13.5 billion. That represents potential upside of 59% from current levels, suggesting it isn't too late for investors to buy this growth stock, even after the healthy jump it has seen this year.
Cirrus Logic (CRUS) delivered record FY26 revenue of $2.0B and robust EPS growth, supported by strong smartphone and PC demand. Apple's inclusion of CRUS for its future vendor lists and green-lighting of battery-enhancing products signals major new product opportunities. Development of smart power ICs for 3D sensing and advanced battery applications positions CRUS for long-term growth beyond core audio.
Key Takeaways Cirrus Logic ended FY 2026 with $1.2B cash, no debt, supporting diversification beyond smartphones.CRUS generated $635.8M free cash flow, supporting higher R&D spend and expansion into new markets.CRUS returned $280 million to its shareholders in fiscal 2026, through the repurchase of 2.5M shares. This financial strength is cushioned by solid cash generation. The company generated $650.6 million, with a free cash flow of $635.8 million in fiscal 2026. Such cash flow provides a solid foundation for increased investment, particularly as Cirrus plans to step up R&D spending to boost innovation in fiscal 2027.
The company’s fortified balance sheet supports a push into new markets, positioning it for long-term diversification. This diversification strategy is important as semiconductor markets tend to be cyclical. Expanding across multiple end markets can help stabilize revenues and reduce dependence on any single product category.
CRUS is focused on expanding HPMS products in smartphones and leveraging its IP to expand into new applications and markets such as industrial, imaging, automotive and professional audio.

As of March 28, 2026, the company had $274.1 million worth of shares under its existing share repurchase authorization.
With strong momentum in PCs, emerging AI opportunities and a clear roadmap for diversification, Cirrus appears well-positioned to convert its billion-dollar cash pile into a catalyst for sustained growth.

Zacks Premium includes access to the Zacks Style Scores as well.
Value ScoreFinding good stocks at good prices, and discovering which companies are trading under their true value, are what value investors like to focus on. So, the Value Style Score takes into account ratios like P/E, PEG, Price/Sales, Price/Cash Flow, and a host of other multiples to highlight the most attractive and discounted stocks.
Growth ScoreGrowth investors, on the other hand, are more concerned with a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score examines things like projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks that will experience sustainable growth over time.
It's highly successful, with #1 (Strong Buy) stocks producing an unmatched +23.7% average annual return since 1988. That's more than double the S&P 500. But because of the large number of stocks we rate, there are over 200 companies with a Strong Buy rank, plus another 600 with a #2 (Buy) rank, on any given day.
But it can feel overwhelming to pick the right stocks for you and your investing goals with over 800 top-rated stocks to choose from.
The direction of a stock's earnings estimate revisions should always be a key factor when choosing which stocks to buy, since the Scores were created to work together with the Zacks Rank.
CRUS is a #3 (Hold) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of A.
Additionally, the company could be a top pick for growth investors. CRUS has a Growth Style Score of A, forecasting year-over-year earnings growth of 2.4% for the current fiscal year.
One analyst revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days for fiscal 2027. The Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.03 to $9.48 per share.

Based on their value, growth, and momentum characteristics, each stock is assigned a rating of A, B, C, D, or F. The better the score, the better chance the stock will outperform; an A is better than a B, a B is better than a C, and so on.
Growth ScoreGrowth investors, on the other hand, are more concerned with a company's financial strength and health, and its future outlook. The Growth Style Score examines things like projected and historic earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks that will experience sustainable growth over time.
Momentum ScoreMomentum traders and investors live by the saying "the trend is your friend." This investing style is all about taking advantage of upward or downward trends in a stock's price or earnings outlook. Employing factors like one-week price change and the monthly percentage change in earnings estimates, the Momentum Style Score can indicate favorable times to build a position in high-momentum stocks.

If you like a stock that only has a #3 (Hold) rank, it should also have Scores of A or B to guarantee as much upside potential as possible.
Stock to Watch: Cirrus Logic (CRUS - Free Report) Headquarterd in Austin, TX, Cirrus Logic is a fabless semiconductor supplier, which develops low-power, high-precision mixed-signal processing solutions.
CRUS is a #3 (Hold) on the Zacks Rank, with a VGM Score of A.
Momentum investors should take note of this Computer and Technology stock. CRUS has a Momentum Style Score of A, and shares are up 0.2% over the past four weeks.
One analyst revised their earnings estimate upwards in the last 60 days for fiscal 2027. The Zacks Consensus Estimate has increased $0.03 to $9.48 per share. CRUS boasts an average earnings surprise of +23.1%.
With a solid Zacks Rank and top-tier Momentum and VGM Style Scores, CRUS should be on investors' short list.

Key Takeaways Cirrus Logic posted record fiscal 2026 revenue of $2B, driven by smartphone and PC demand.CRUS sees growth from mixed-signal, SDCA adoption and future smart power IC opportunities.Skyworks secured a multiyear Android design win expected to generate more than $1B by 2030. Cirrus Logic, Inc. (CRUS - Free Report) and Skyworks Solutions, Inc. (SWKS - Free Report) both are benefiting from rising semiconductor demand tied to premium smartphones, AI-enabled devices and next-generation connectivity technologies. While Cirrus Logic is expanding deeper into mixed-signal, audio and power solutions, Skyworks is strengthening its RF leadership across mobile, Wi-Fi, automotive and data center markets. Recent earnings commentary from both companies highlighted solid execution, improving diversification efforts and confidence in long-term growth opportunities, though each still faces margin pressures, customer concentration risks and broader industry uncertainties.
Cirrus Logic is focused on leveraging its expertise in audio and high-performance mixed-signal technologies to expand beyond its core smartphone business into PCs, imaging, industrial and power-related applications. Skyworks, on the other hand, is emphasizing RF complexity growth, AI-driven connectivity demand and large multiyear design opportunities, while also preparing for its planned merger with Qorvo.
Let’s evaluate their fundamentals, growth prospects, market challenges and valuations to determine which one presents a stronger investment opportunity.
The Case for CRUSCirrus Logic is benefiting from strong demand across its smartphone and PC businesses, helping the company deliver record fiscal 2026 revenue of $2 billion, up 5% year over year. On the last earnings call, management highlighted record earnings, supported by continued execution and a more favorable product mix.
Also, the company’s sustained strength in its core smartphone and mixed-signal portfolio bodes well. CRUS reported robust demand for its custom boosted amplifiers and 22-nanometer smart codecs, which are expected to benefit from extended life cycles and provide longer-term revenue visibility. Cirrus also emphasized strong customer engagement around future camera controller products and highlighted progress in advanced battery and power technologies, including development work tied to smart power ICs for future Face ID-related applications.
Cirrus Logic is also seeing growing diversification beyond smartphones. The company delivered strong PC revenue growth in fiscal 2026 through share gains across all PC segments and rising adoption of SDCA-related designs. On the last earnings call, management noted that SDCA revenue tripled during the year and represented nearly 60% of total PC revenue. The company also pointed to expanding opportunities across professional audio, automotive, industrial imaging and other general market products, while indicating continued momentum heading into fiscal 2027.
For the first quarter of fiscal 2027, Cirrus Logic provided guidance that points to continued healthy demand. The company expects revenue between $430 million and $490 million, implying 3% sequential growth and 13% year-over-year increase at the midpoint of the guidance.
However, Cirrus Logic remains exposed to smartphone market fluctuations and customer concentration risks. The company’s fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 revenue declined 23% sequentially because of lower smartphone unit volumes, underscoring the continued dependence of its business on handset demand patterns and seasonal trends.
Cirrus Logic faces significant customer concentration risk, with approximately 89% of fiscal 2025 revenue tied to Apple’s iPhone business. Any slowdown in iPhone demand or continued weakness in the Android market could materially pressure the company’s revenue growth and profitability.
Margins and expenses also faced pressure during the fourth quarter. Gross margin declined year over year due primarily to higher freight expenses, while operating expenses increased because of higher employee-related costs. Management further stated that operating expenses are expected to rise in fiscal 2027 as the company increases R&D spending to capitalize on future growth opportunities and broaden its product portfolio.
The Case for SWKSSkyworks is benefiting from strong momentum across both its mobile and broad markets businesses. The company exceeded quarterly guidance for both revenue and earnings in second-quarter fiscal 2026, supported by healthy sell-through, strong execution on new product launches and solid demand across mobile, Wi-Fi, data center and automotive markets. On the last earnings call, management noted that channel inventories remain lean and demand trends across customers continue to stay healthy.
Recently, Skyworks secured a multi-generational Android design win, which is expected to generate more than $1 billion in revenue through 2030. Management described the opportunity as an incremental business within the premium smartphone segment and emphasized that the win reflects the company’s RF technology leadership and strong long-term collaboration with the customer.
Skyworks is also gaining from expanding growth opportunities tied to AI, wireless connectivity and infrastructure markets. The company highlighted accelerating Wi-Fi 7 adoption, early engagement in Wi-Fi 8 programs and increasing RF complexity driven by AI workloads, higher data rates and additional wireless bands. On the last earnings call, management highlighted strong growth in automotive and AI data center businesses, while expressing confidence that these trends will continue to support long-term diversification and content expansion.
For the third quarter of fiscal 2026, Skyworks expects revenues in the range of $900 million to $950 million.
However, Skyworks continues to face margin pressure from rising input costs and supply-related expenses. Management acknowledged that higher gold prices, expedited fees and broader cost increases remain headwinds, even as the company pursues selective pricing adjustments, fab optimization and cost-control initiatives to offset some of the pressure.
Skyworks also remains heavily dependent on a small number of large customers. Its largest customer represented approximately 60% of quarterly revenue, highlighting continued concentration risk. In addition, management reiterated that the company remains disciplined about pursuing only business opportunities that provide attractive economics, limiting participation in certain lower-margin Android and China handset segments.

Key Takeaways Cirrus Logic launched nine new ADCs, DACs and CODECs for pro and prosumer audio markets.CRUS added hybrid DAC gain control and new driver architecture for broader audio applications.Cirrus Logic says the lineup supports scalable design, faster development and revenue diversification. The professional and prosumer audio industry is evolving rapidly. Against this backdrop, Cirrus Logic (CRUS - Free Report) has recently introduced a new portfolio of nine audio converters, including analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analog converters (DACs) and CODECs, designed to deliver premium audio quality while maintaining an optimized price-to-performance ratio. The initiative aims to expand CRUS’ audio converter portfolio and reinforces its commitment to serving the growing professional and prosumer audio market, estimated to be worth approximately $9 billion globally.
A key aspect of the new converter family is the inclusion of enhanced analog capabilities and hybrid gain control technology. Hybrid gain control was previously available in Cirrus' flagship audio converters and has now been extended to this new family of products. The new lineup adds hybrid DAC gain control and a new voltage output driver architecture, giving designers more flexibility to optimize performance across wider audio applications.
Premium flagship products often feature top-tier components, while mid-range and entry-level products must balance performance with affordability. Cirrus Logic's expanded converter portfolio addresses this by enabling scalable product development. Manufacturers can now use similar architectural approaches across different product lines while choosing converters that meet specific performance and budget needs. This scalability offers several benefits: faster product development cycles, reduced engineering complexity, a consistent user experience across product tiers and improved cost efficiency. As a result, companies can deliver advanced audio features to a broader audience without sacrificing profitability.
While unlikely to drive an immediate revenue surge, the new products strengthen long-term growth by expanding CRUS’ presence in professional audio, content creation and commercial sound systems. The launch broadens its customer base, boosts cross-selling opportunities and supports revenue diversification beyond smartphones.
Competitive Pressure Crowding CRUS’ Pipeline ActivitiesQualcomm Incorporated (QCOM - Free Report) continues to pivot from a handset-centric model toward a broader connected processor portfolio. It is expanding its Oryon CPU and AI capabilities beyond smartphones into PCs, servers and custom silicon. Its 2026 Snapdragon X2 PC platforms are already in production, featuring AI performance of up to 85 TOPS for always-on agentic experiences. QCOM is working with hyperscalers on custom AI chips, creating new revenue streams beyond handsets. Meanwhile, the $2.3 billion Alphawave Semi acquisition strengthens Qualcomm’s high-speed connectivity and custom silicon capabilities, supporting its expansion into AI data centers. OEM caution, intense competition and high investment spending pressure near-term margins, while leverage limits flexibility.
Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI - Free Report) continues to invest in a hybrid manufacturing model that combines internal scale with external partners, enhancing responsiveness as demand ramps. ADI is leaning into automation as onshoring of advanced manufacturing and tighter labor dynamics drive demand for digital factories and next-generation robots. Its higher-value sensing, motion control, power and connectivity solutions enable edge intelligence and real-time communication in content-rich robotics. The company continues to frame humanoids as a longer-term upside, with management forecasting roughly a 10x increase in content per humanoid compared with current mobile robots due to higher sensor and actuator requirements.
CRUS Price Performance, Valuation and EstimatesShares have gained 77.3% in the past year compared with the Electronics-Semiconductors industry’s growth of 108%.
