CoinGecko News
Original source text
The Chromia team has made the announcement that the Asgard Mainnet Upgrade has been successfully completed. In order to improve the capabilities of the Layer-1 relational blockchain, this milestone provides additional features that are aimed to optimize performance. It is anticipated that the upgrade would facilitate the development of apps on the Chromia Network that are empowered with artificial intelligence and decentralized finance.

Chromia Extensions is a modular system that provides additional features to Chromia’s relational blockchain. The framework for Chromia Extensions is the key feature that Asgard has offered. These Extensions are designed to supplement the fundamental characteristics of the platform, which include its relational data architecture, modular network design, and gas-free economic model for end users.

As a component of the upgrade, Chromia introduced the Oracle Extension, which offers real-time pricing feeds that are updated about once per second and are generated entirely on the blockchain. By providing support for the creation of decentralized finance applications, such as lending protocols, futures and options platforms, and decentralized exchanges, this capability is included.

Ludvig Öberg, VP of the Chromia Platform Unit, remarked:

“The Oracle Extension lays the groundwork for an expansion of decentralized finance activity on the Chromia network and the growth of network value.”

Within the context of a larger initiative undertaken by the Chromia team to increase linkages to the wider cryptocurrency ecosystem, the development of a high-quality Oracle service is a component of this initiative. The integration of native CHR tokens and other Chromia-based tokens with centralized exchanges and cross-chain wallets is one of the components of the efforts undertaken.

Additionally, the team has revealed their intentions for the AI Inference Extension, which is anticipated to be released in the first quarter of 2025. By using Chromia’s decentralized provider network, this module will make it possible for developers to run artificial intelligence models directly on the blockchain. The Data and AI Division of the project, which was only recently established, is concentrating on the development of technologies that will improve the openness of AI training data and inputs.

Yeou Jie, Head of Business Development at Chromia stated:

“As the world’s only relational blockchain, Chromia has demonstrated its ability to bring transparency to AI and other data-intensive use cases. The AI Inference Extension will take this a step further, enabling on-chain execution of AI models.”

In the wake of the Asgard Upgrade, Chromia intends to make available to the public a demonstration of the Oracle Extension, and integrations with DeFi protocols are anticipated to follow shortly thereafter. These initiatives are a reflection of the platform’s larger emphasis on supporting a variety of applications, such as artificial intelligence, gaming, and enterprises use cases, while also continuing to integrate technologies related to blockchain with the requirements of the real world.

Chromia to Unveil Decentralized Vector Database with Mimir Upgrade on March 25
CHR Chromia
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Vector databases are often housed on cloud servers, which raises questions about centralization and transparency. Chromia’s advancement of blockchain-enabled AI continues with the Mimir Upgrade. Chromia has announced that one of the first decentralized vector databases in the world will be available on March 25th with its Mimir Upgrade. By offering a blockchain-based substitute for centralized solutions, this milestone will open up new avenues for AI-driven applications.

Significant public attention and financial investment have been generated by the emergence of AI models such as GPT and DeepSeek. Nonetheless, the vector database is an essential but sometimes disregarded part of AI infrastructure. These databases help AI models handle language better, allowing for important features like text retrieval, long-term memory, and similarity searches.

Vector databases are often housed on cloud servers, which raises questions about centralization and transparency. By offering a decentralized substitute that enables AI and blockchain applications to store and retrieve vector embeddings on-chain, Chromia’s Mimir Upgrade transforms the landscape.

Johnson Lai, Chromia’s Head of Data and AI stated:

“In most cases, using a vector database means relying on centralized infrastructure. We’re going to change that. With the Mimir Upgrade, projects operating at the intersection of blockchain and AI will be able to store and access their vectorized data directly on Chromia.”

Chromia’s relational architecture plays a crucial role in its evolution. Large data sets may be uniquely structured using Chromia, which improves the efficiency of storage, search, and modification. A vectorized layer, which would be unfeasible on a conventional blockchain, may be implemented thanks to this foundation.

Chromia’s advancement of blockchain-enabled AI continues with the Mimir Upgrade. The integration of Python, one of the most popular programming languages for artificial intelligence, and the establishment of a $20 million Data and AI Ecosystem Fund are the foundations of this effort. Chromia introduced EVAL Engine, a tool to assess AI agent interactions and track performance degradation over time, earlier this year by utilizing Virtuals Protocol.

After the upgrade, Chromia will keep developing its decentralized AI capabilities and advancing partnerships with both new and current Web2 and Web3 partners.

Chromia addresses operating expenses while also improving transparency, security, and control for artificial intelligence developers. Vector databases play a vital role in artificial intelligence systems, since they enable essential operations such as the search for similarity, the retrieval of contextual text, and long-term memory. The successful deployment of Chromia’s Mimir Mainnet Upgrade, which included substantial breakthroughs in decentralized infrastructure, has been confirmed by the company. Vector data, an essential component for artificial intelligence applications, may now be stored on the blockchain thanks to this upgrade.

Vector databases play a vital role in artificial intelligence systems, since they enable essential operations such as the search for similarity, the retrieval of contextual text, and long-term memory. Most artificial intelligence efforts, on the other hand, depend on centralized services to store and administer these databases. A decentralized alternative is made available by the Mimir Upgrade, which makes it possible for vector data to be stored directly on Chromia’s Layer-1 blockchain.

Chromia addresses operating expenses while also improving transparency, security, and control for artificial intelligence developers. This is accomplished via the decentralization of vector storage. Through the use of a fixed model that prevents surge pricing during times of high demand, the Chromia team has made internal estimations that imply their approach has the potential to lower prices by as much as 98% in comparison to products offered by rivals.

Johnson Lai, Head of Data and AI at Chromia stated:

“Our solution offers significant benefits in security, uptime, and transparency, while also being one of the most cost-effective options available. Not just in Web3, but anywhere.”

Not only does the Mimir Upgrade has vector database capability, but it also includes the first version of the AI Inference Extension. The use of this extension makes it possible for open-source models such as DeepSeek to operate on Chromia provider nodes. This provides an option to hosting these models on cloud servers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Chromia intends to improve the accessibility of blockchain technology for artificial intelligence developers by continuing to innovate and offer decentralized solutions. Additionally, the company intends to enhance the utility of the platform for native Chromia decentralized applications (dapps), projects that build on other blockchains, and Web2 clients who are looking to decentralize their infrastructure.

Chromia is a Layer-1 relational blockchain platform that employs a modular architecture to empower users and developers with specialized decentralized application (dapp) chains, fee structures that may be customized, and improved digital assets. Chromia delivers natively queryable data that is indexed in real time. This presents a challenge to the existing quo in order to bring innovations that will improve the end-user experience and support new Web3 business models. Chromia does this by fundamentally altering how information is structured on the blockchain.

Base Reveals Ambitious Q2 Roadmap: Everything You Need To Know
CHR Chromia ETH Ethereum
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Ethereum Layer-2 (L2) network Base, incubated by Coinbase, has unveiled its product roadmap for the second quarter (Q2) 2025.

It indicates a bold slate of performance upgrades, enhanced privacy features, and broader support for developers.

Base Q2 Roadmap: Speed, Privacy, and Builder AdoptionIn a detailed post on X (Twitter), Base’s development team outlined key objectives for the quarter. The roadmap reaffirms Base’s commitment to building in the open. It also lays the groundwork for scaling its role as a core pillar of the on-chain economy.

The plan to achieve 200ms effective block times on the mainnet is among the most eye-catching. The move could dramatically increase throughput and improve user experience.

Additionally, Base aims to scale blockspace from 30 to 50 Mgas/s and reach “Stage 1 decentralization.” Notably, they are key milestones in both performance and network security.

Privacy is also a central focus. Base is working to implement privacy-preserving on-chain account verification. This initiative reflects the growing importance of identity and privacy in a blockchain environment where transparency and pseudonymity often clash.

Beyond scaling and privacy, the roadmap details efforts to enhance its developer toolkit, notably expanding usage of the Base MCP (Modular Crypto Platform) tooling. This includes increasing weekly active apps built on OnchainKit and MiniKit and launching new Base Appchains on the mainnet.

The Base MCP tooling is part of a broader push to enable developers to go from “Idea to App, App to Business,” as described by the team. However, it is worth noting that MCP protocols have come under scrutiny recently due to a critical security flaw, raising concerns about their current implementations.

BeInCrypto recently reported on vulnerabilities that, if left unpatched, could expose user data or funds. This suggests that Base’s teams must prioritize security alongside growth.

“This risk comes from using a ‘poisoned’ MCP. Hackers could trick Base-MCP into sending your crypto to them instead of where you intended. If this happens, you might not notice,” Superoo7, head of Data and AI at Chromia, highlighted.

Base’s community-centric ethos is evident in its continued support for builder programs like Base Batches, Buildathons, and the Builder Rewards initiative. The team emphasized that these initiatives will support developers technically and economically, creating viable paths to earning a living by building on-chain.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong also weighed in, endorsing the roadmap with a simple but affirming statement. This highlights Coinbase’s continued backing of the Layer-2 solution, which has become a standout in the ecosystem.

Base Blockchain Leads Net Flows Across DeFi BridgesBase has emerged as a top performer in 2025, leading the market in net flow over the past three months. On total inflow metrics, data on Artemis Terminal shows it is second, after Ethereum (ETH). This traction reflects growing user confidence and adoption across DeFi, gaming, and NFT verticals.

Base blockchain leads net flows across DeFi bridges. Source: Artemis TerminalStill, the network has not been immune to controversy. Only hours ago, Base faced backlash after a meme coin, allegedly promoted by insiders, triggered a trading frenzy and abrupt collapse. As BeInCrypto reported, this raised accusations of a pump-and-dump scheme.

While Base distanced itself from the coin in question, the incident raises concerns about transparency and ethical boundaries on the platform.

“This wasn’t a meme coin. This wasn’t a token launch. Base didn’t drop a coin to pump bags or flip the market. This was a content coin — and that distinction matters,” Base developer Charis posted on X.

As Base moves into Q2, it stands at a crossroads. On the one hand, it is armed with performance upgrades and developer momentum. On the other hand, it faces heightened scrutiny.

If successful, its roadmap could further cement Base’s place as a foundation of the next-generation internet. However, the pressure to balance innovation, security, and trust has never increased.

Now, users don’t need to download anything in order to play—they can play right in their browser. By allowing players to engage with game elements without incurring transaction fees, Chromia’s gasless interaction paradigm further improves accessibility. After multiple alpha seasons, the popular blockchain-based farming and builder game My Neighbor Alice has finally released Chapter One: A New Adventure, its first full public release. This milestone is a significant accomplishment for the My Neighbor Alice team and the Chromia blockchain, which offers the decentralized infrastructure enabling the game, since it makes the whole gaming experience available to players globally for the first time.

The playing experience has been significantly improved with the update. Now, users don’t need to download anything in order to play—they can play right in their browser. Additionally, a new mode enables players to start playing right away without linking a cryptocurrency wallet or holding tokens. In order to store progress or mint assets, wallets may be made at any point during gameplay.

By allowing players to engage with game elements without incurring transaction fees, Chromia’s gasless interaction paradigm further improves accessibility. Chromia’s relational architecture is used to store all of the game’s essential data on-chain, including player progress and world status. This structure surpasses the “asset-only” style typical of other Web3 games and lessens need on external services.

Steve Haßenpflug, VP of Games at My Neighbor Alice stated:

“This launch is more than just a game update. It is a proof point that Web3 can deliver the same seamless experience as Web2: no downloads, no wallets, just pure gameplay. With Chapter One, we are showcasing the future of gaming. Open, accessible, and built for the community.”

Henrik Hjelte, Co-Founder of Chromia, added:

“This launch is a major milestone, not only for My Neighbor Alice but for Chromia as a platform. It shows how our architecture can power complex, persistent virtual worlds while keeping the experience smooth and user-friendly.”

The ALICE token was deployed on the Chromia mainnet in conjunction with the game’s debut, allowing native token functioning right in the game. ALICE provides greater interaction with the in-game economy and unlocks more features, but it is not necessary to play.

Additionally, the debut comes after a partnership with Pudgy Penguins that grants NFT holders access to exclusive in-game features. The game’s cross-project appeal is further shown by the fully animated 3D companions that have been built for each of the 40,000 Pudgy NFTs. Chromia has officially collaborated with TAC, the purpose-built Layer-1 network that aimed to resolve Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility with The Open Network (TON). This partnership will provide an infrastructure through which Telegram Mini Apps (TMAs) can perform their blockchain capabilities in a more enriched manner involving TAC bridging technology and even Chromia layers of data decentralization.

📢We are proud to announce a NEW integration and partnership with @TacBuild! 🥳

TAC is a purpose-built Layer-1 network designed to bridge the gap between EVM and The Open Network.

🗨️ Acting as a translator between the two systems, TAC allows developers to deploy EVM… pic.twitter.com/g6HKzBC4gJ

— Chromia | Power to the Public (@Chromia) June 23, 2025 This merging will enable developers employing TAC to implement EVM Johnson-based wise contracts in Telegram’s ecosystem. Such contracts are completely within TON architecture and avoid the restrictions that EVM-based dApps are frequently subject to on Telegram. Chromia extends further by natively enabling such applications to store their application logic, user activity, and metadata on Chromia subchains, allowing them to decentralize and verify their app backends.

Enhanced Functionality for Telegram Mini Apps Telegram Mini Apps have become an object of high potential as an interface to provide Web3 experiences to users. However, Telegram’s support of native TON wallets and tokens has already been a problem for Ethereum-based applications. TAC does away with this problem by acting as a translation layer, thereby allowing cross-compatibility between Ethereum-based protocols and the TON ecosystem.

Chromia collaborates with TAC to add decency to Mini Apps, including storage and execution of logic. The majority of TMAs are now working with centralized cloud solutions to perform essential operations, and that reduces transparency and trust. Chromia enables developers to transfer such elements to a decentralized context, favouring a secure and transparent experience to the user.

Real-World Use Case: XOOB Launches with TAC and Chromia XOOB is the first Telegram Mini App that needs the ChromiaTAC stack. The app has a gamified PvP and play-to-earn service. Interaction is done through $USDT deposits on the TON network, which are passed through TAC to DeFi protocols like Morpho and Euler. These deposits create yield associated with the system that players and developers share.

Chromia subchains hold all the gameplay data and financial flows and they all have the full insight about the transactions and user interactions. This protocol illustrates that decentralized systems can fit with ease on familiar platforms such as Telegram. The design of XOOB is a perfect example of how this collaboration can enable scalable, user-friendly and trustless Web3 applications

CHR: Three Ways to Participate in Chromia DeFi
CHR Chromia
CoinGecko News
Original source text
DeFi opportunities are live and ready to be explored on mainnet! This article will give you the info you need to get started.

Understanding Chromia’s Multi-Chain Structure

Unlike monolithic blockchains where all tokens and activity reside on a single chain, Chromia uses a multi-chain structure in which each dapp runs on its own dedicated blockchain.

Because tokens can only be on one chain at a time, users must move them to the dapp chain where they want to use them.

Chromia makes this process easy through Chromia Vault (our official wallet and dapp browser), which allows users to transfer assets instantly and for free between chains using the ‘Transfer’ tab.

Throughout this article, you’ll see references to different chains such as Economy Chain, ColorPool DEX Chain, and UdonFi Finance Chain. These are individual chains on mainnet.

Onboarding to Mainnet

Onboarding Using CHR

For most users, the easiest and most efficient way to get started is by onboarding with native CHR on Economy Chain. This can be done by bridging from Ethereum or Binance Chain, withdrawing directly from an exchange that supports Chromia Mainnet, or using a fiat on-ramp service like Transak. For full guides with visual aids, visit our Vault Knowledge Base, which includes five tutorials to help new users onboard successfully.

Onboarding Using USDC via ColorPool Bridge

A secondary method of getting assets onto mainnet is to bridge USDC from Binance Chain to ColorPool using ColorPool’s official bridge. Step by step instructions can be found in ColorPool’s documentation.

Now that we’ve covered the basics, let’s look at three ways you can get involved today!

Stake Native CHRLocation: Economy Chain

https://vault.chromia.com/en/staking/

If you’ve onboarded using native CHR, your tokens arrive on the Economy Chain: the perfect starting point for staking. Staking is a great option for beginners or anyone who prefers a simple, hands-off way to earn a little extra while holding CHR.

Staking is fully integrated into Vault, making the process fast and user-friendly. You can stake your CHR, choose a provider to delegate to, and start earning with just a few clicks. When you stake your CHR, you’ll earn:

3% APY base rewards, plusAn additional “reward share” - a portion of the fees and additional rewards earned by the provider you delegate to.Some important things to note about staking:

There is a two-week holding period before you can withdraw your staked CHR. Stakers must request the withdrawal, wait two weeks, and then they can retrieve their tokens.Once your CHR is staked, it cannot be used elsewhere (for trading, dapps, transfers, etc.) until it is withdrawn from the staking contract.Staking on mainnet will also enable users to participate in governance once the upcoming Chromia Governance module is released. Planned for launch before the end of this year, the module will allow CHR stakers to propose and vote on new providers as well as grants. For more details, check out our recent blog post on the topic.

Trade and Provide LP on ColorPoolLocation: ColorPool DEX Chain

https://www.colorpool.xyz/

https://x.com/colorpool_xyz

Trade

ColorPool is the leading decentralized exchange (DEX) on Chromia, supporting USDC, CHR, COLOR, ALICE, and D tokens. Trading on ColorPool offers the fastest and easiest way to swap between all Chromia ecosystem tokens, entirely contained on Chromia mainnet.

Thanks to Chromia’s innovative economic model and ColorPool’s “Zero Gas Credit System”, users can make hundreds of trades and other actions per day without paying gas fees.

Earn by Providing Liquidity

For those looking to take it a step further, users can provide liquidity and participate in ColorPool’s farming campaigns, earning attractive APY rewards paid in COLOR tokens. These farming incentives are designed to promote deeper liquidity and long-term engagement within the Chromia ecosystem.

APR rates can reach as high as 60%+ for liquidity providers in the CHR/USDC pool. See the screenshot below for available farms. Please note that APR rates are variable and may fluctuate depending on the total liquidity and the number of participants in each pool.

To learn more about managing liquidity and getting started with farming, visit the Official ColorPool Docs. There, users can find instructions on adding liquidity, staking and unstaking, and harvesting rewards.

Lend and/or Borrow Assets on UdonFiLocation: UdonFi Finance Chain

https://udonfi.xyz

https://x.com/udonfi_chromia

UdonFi is Chromia’s leading borrowing and lending platform.

Udon Finance functions through a system of decentralized liquidity pools that facilitate lending and borrowing activities. Liquidity providers deposit assets into these pools, creating a shared source of funds from which borrowers can draw. Interest rates within each pool are determined algorithmically and adjust dynamically based on market utilization and liquidity demand.

When users supply assets to a pool, they receive corresponding aTokens, which represent their share of the pool. These tokens automatically accrue interest over time, reflecting the yield generated from lending activity.

Users seeking to borrow must first provide collateral in the form of supported assets. The borrowing capacity is determined by parameters such as Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratio and Health Factor, which are designed to maintain protocol stability and reduce default risk.

Earn With the PreUdon Rewards

Ahead of the official launch of the Udon token, the platform is running an open-ended PreUdon Rewards Program. PreUdon tokens are designed to be held until the official token launch, at which time a migration event will enable a seamless and guaranteed conversion to the native Udon token.

To learn more about the PreUdon program, refer to the corresponding section in UdonFi’s Official Documentation.

See the screenshot below for available assets to supply and borrow. Please note that APR rates are variable and may fluctuate depending on the total liquidity and the number of participants.

Coming Soon: Liquid Staking

UdonFi is also developing a Liquid Staking program, which will expand the platform’s offerings and provide additional yield opportunities for users. Further details are available in the Liquid Staking section of their documentation.

November 11, 2025

On November 1st, Chromia and TinTinLand brought the Chromia China Tour to Chengdu, continuing our exploration of how blockchain infrastructure can support the next generation of AI systems. The event focused on a central theme: making AI traceable and trustworthy through practical architecture and real-world applications.

Keynote Highlights

Our Head of BD, Yeou Jie, and Head of Data & AI, Johnson Lai, delivered a keynote outlining how Chromia can serve as a foundation for AI applications that require transparency and efficient data management.

They introduced Chromia’s PostgreSQL-based integrated blockchain architecture, discussing the VectorDB Extension and how it functions alongside the relational database layer. This combination enables vector similarity search directly on-chain, providing a framework for AI data retrieval, agent memory systems, and knowledge bases that are tamper-resistant and queryable in real time.

The presentation included use cases showing how developers can build on-chain AI agents with persistent memory, and how these systems can be applied in Decentralized AI (DEFAI) and robotics.

The ChromBot pilot device was featured as a working example. ChromBot stores memory and telemetry data on-chain using Chromia smart contracts, showing how AI agents can operate transparently in a decentralized environment.

Fireside Chat: AI Meets the Real World

In the fireside session, YJ, Johnson, and NodeX’s 0xAllen888 discussed how infrastructure, data availability, model governance, and AI agents are shaping the convergence of AI and Web3. The discussion focused on building systems that are both scalable and accountable.

The session highlighted that as AI models become more advanced, maintaining transparency and auditability will be essential. Blockchain-based storage and computation can help achieve these goals by ensuring that training data, outputs, and decisions remain verifiable over time.

CHR: Exploring the Chromia Passkey Demo
CHR Chromia
CoinGecko News
Original source text
User experience (UX) remains one of the biggest challenges facing Web3. While blockchain technology enables new possibilities, it often comes with usability hurdles that make it harder for everyday users to participate.

If you’ve ever used a dapp, you’ve likely encountered these pain points firsthand: setting up wallets, managing seed phrases, signing every transaction, and paying gas fees. Compared to the frictionless experiences of Web2 apps, Web3 can still feel complicated and intimidating.

At Chromia, we’re always exploring ways to make blockchain interactions more intuitive without sacrificing the security and ownership that make Web3 unique. One of our recent steps in this direction is the Chromia Passkey Demo, an experiment showing how web authentication can simplify account creation and transaction signing in dapps.

A Simpler Way to Web3

Passkeys are a modern, passwordless authentication standard supported by major platforms like Google, Apple, and Microsoft. Instead of remembering passwords or managing private keys, users can sign in and approve actions using built-in device security — like Windows Hello, Touch ID, or a security key.

Chromia’s Passkey integration allows users to create dapp subaccounts and sign blockchain transactions using these existing device credentials. Your biometric identity or linked account becomes your secure Web3 key, combining the ease of Web2 with the safety of blockchain technology.

The Passkey Demo

To demonstrate this concept, we built a simple testnet dapp called Passkey Demo that utilizes web authentication. While the app itself is simple, it highlights how seamless authentication and transaction signing can be. Here’s how it works:

After entering a username and display name, the user selects “Register Passkey.” At this point, the browser prompts for biometric or device-based verification (such as Windows Hello, Google ID, etc.) Once confirmed, the credential is securely registered on Chromia.

With registration complete, the user can create a new “book” by entering a name and clicking “Create Book.” This triggers a fresh authentication request, ensuring that each blockchain action is verified in real time. There’s no credential caching, as every operation requires a live authentication through the passkey mechanism. The corresponding action is then executed on the blockchain, and users can review the event log to see all recorded transactions and their results.

Why This Matters

Passkey support could significantly enhance user onboarding and transaction signing for both existing Chromia dapps and new ecosystem projects. It lowers barriers to entry, improves accessibility, and maintains the core principles of decentralization and security.

In the long term, this approach can help Chromia move toward applications that are as easy and natural to use as any Web2 platform.

Try It Yourself

You can check out the Passkey Demo firsthand here:

https://passkey-demo-alpha.vercel.app/

You can also view the code here:

https://bitbucket.org/chromawallet/passkey-demo/

While this demo is just a starting point, it opens the door for developers to build dapps that combine ease of use with the transparency and control of blockchain.

CHR: Chromia Integrates with Virtuals Agent Commerce Protocol
CHR Chromia
CoinGecko News
Original source text
On November 20 2025, our Head of Data and AI, Johnson Lai, published an in-depth walkthrough demonstrating how Chromia can function as a decentralized data layer for Virtuals’ Agent Commerce Protocol (ACP). The piece included open-source code showing how to connect an ACP agent to Chromia, enabling verifiable and easily queryable on-chain job storage.

We’ve also launched a new complementary feature: agent owners can now ask Virtual’s Butler to archive X posts. Each item is stored permanently on Chromia’s Filehub, providing decentralized, tamper-resistant storage for just 2 cents per entry.

How do these features help advance Virtuals, Chromia, and the emerging world of autonomous agent economies? Let’s take a closer look.

What Is Virtuals?

Virtuals is a decentralized platform built on the Base and Ethereum networks that allows anyone to create, manage, and co-own AI agents. These agents operate independently across applications, maintain memory, and can earn revenue by completing tasks. Since launch, Virtuals has seen strong adoption across trading, analytics, gaming, and more, becoming one of the most active environments for autonomous AI agents.

In early 2025, Chromia entered the Virtuals ecosystem with the launch of EVAL, an evaluator agent powered by Chromia’s EVAL Engine. This marked the first crossover between Chromia and Virtuals, as well as Chromia’s first interaction with the Base Network ecosystem.

What Is the Agent Commerce Protocol (ACP)?

ACP provides an on-chain framework that allows Virtuals-based AI agents to coordinate, negotiate, and transact with one another, or with humans, using verifiable smart-contract interactions. It functions much like a decentralized job marketplace combined with escrow and arbitration to ensure that tasks, deliverables, and evaluations follow a transparent and trustless process.

The protocol has grown rapidly and recently surpassed $100M in agent GDP transactions, becoming one of the most active real economic layers for autonomous AI entities. Yet this growth exposes a significant challenge: ACP’s on-chain data, while transparent, is difficult to access and analyze.

Where Chromia Comes In

All ACP activity is recorded on Base, but much of it lives in calldata that is difficult to parse without dedicated indexing. As a result, many ACP agents depend on centralized databases to make job data readable and searchable. While effective, this approach sacrifices transparency and introduces single points of failure.

Chromia provides a decentralized alternative. By using Chromia as a purpose-built database layer, ACP agents can store job lifecycle data in a verifiable, structured format while retaining the convenience of PostgreSQL-style queries. Integration is lightweight: with only a few lines of Python, an agent can write job creation, updates, and results directly into a Rell contract.

This data-layer approach also unlocks new services within the Virtuals ecosystem. Users can instruct Virtual’s Butler to archive X content, with each item stored permanently on Filehub (Chromia’s decentralized storage layer) for just 2 cents. This saves both the data and its metadata, ensuring the content remains publicly accessible, verifiable, and tamper-proof.

The result is a best-of-both-worlds model: a relational database experience with blockchain-level transparency and security. Because Chromia is built from the ground up as a decentralized data system, it fits ACP’s needs far better than relying on calldata alone or centralized storage solutions.

Emerging Synergies Between Chromia and EVM

This integration reflects a broader trend: as AI agent economies scale, they require systems that combine fast execution with trustworthy data. Base offers a highly efficient EVM layer for ACP’s smart-contract logic, while Chromia provides decentralized data primitives for agent memory, logs, state changes, job histories, and more. Together, these networks form a complementary environment where agents can transact on one chain and store structured data on another without sacrificing decentralization.

The Big Picture

A much larger opportunity is emerging for Chromia: providing a data layer for next-generation blockchain and AI systems. As ecosystems like Virtuals and other agentic networks expand, the need for verifiable storage, structured data services, and decentralized indexing grows rapidly.

Chromia’s data-first architecture can support everything from agent workloads and analytics pipelines to broader cross-chain services that span Base, Chromia, and beyond.

The rise of autonomous agents is only one expression of this trend. As AI-driven economies mature, demand for reliable, transparent, and queryable on-chain data will accelerate — and Chromia’s capabilities open the door to a new class of tooling, services, and interoperable applications.

CHR: Meet the New "Asset-Centric" Chromia Vault!
CHR Chromia
CoinGecko News
Original source text
Chromia Vault has long been the gateway for users entering the Chromia mainnet, a place to view assets, explore dApps, and access essential features. Over the past few months, the team has focused on taking that experience to the next level. The result: a smoother, clearer, and more intuitive Vault built around one simple idea: your assets should be at the center of everything.

YouTube Video of Chromia's Latest Vault Update - December 2025

With a redesigned interface, cleaner navigation, and major upgrades across dApps, asset views, staking, transfers, and account management, the new Vault is easier to use than ever. Here is a section-by-section look at what’s new.

Dapps Tab

The updated dApps page makes it much easier to understand your presence across mainnet. Each tile represents a dApp or system chain, and each one can be expanded to show the assets you hold on that specific chain.

You can also use new quick action shortcuts to perform tasks from a single location. Whether you want to deposit tokens from another network or move assets between chains on mainnet, these options are now easier to find and faster to use.

Assets Tab

The redesigned Assets page is one of the most useful improvements in this update. It acts as a portfolio style view that shows all token balances across every dApp and system chain in one place.

This provides a clean overview of your entire mainnet footprint. There’s also a built-in transfer button beside each asset, making it straightforward to move tokens to whichever chain you need. For anyone active across multiple dApps, this page makes day to day management far simpler.

Staking

The native staking page has also received several important updates.

Dynamic Fee Sharing is now live, allowing providers to adjust how much of their rewards they share with delegates. This value appears in the “Reward” column and currently defaults to 10 percent unless a provider chooses to change it. This creates a healthier staking environment by encouraging providers to compete for delegators and helping balances distribute more evenly across the network.

The interface also displays an estimated APR that combines the three percent base reward with additional rewards based on each provider’s current share rate. These numbers are projections based on historical data, so actual results may vary, but the new UI makes it much easier to compare providers at a glance.

Get CHR

To make onboarding smoother, we have introduced a clearer guide that walks users through all available ways to acquire CHR. This includes fiat on ramps, centralized exchanges, decentralized exchanges, and compatible wallet software.

Whether someone is new to Chromia or looking to expand their activity, this page gathers every option in one accessible place.

Transfer, Deposit, and Withdraw

These three core actions have also been revamped around the asset centric model.

Transfer allows you to move assets already on mainnet from one chain to another. This is helpful when interacting with different dApps or system chains.

Deposit lets you bridge tokens from supported external networks into Chromia. Recent additions include Base, which now joins Ethereum and Binance Chain as supported networks. Base integration is already being used in practice, including the onboarding of EVAL Engine’s EVAL token, now active on mainnet and trading on ColorPool.

Withdraw performs the opposite action by sending tokens from Chromia back out to Ethereum, Binance, Base, and other supported chains.

With this redesign, each flow reacts to the asset you choose and presents only the relevant options, making the experience clearer and harder to misunderstand.

Account Creation and Management

Chromia’s architecture uses multiple chains for scalability and customization, which means users sometimes need accounts across different dApp chains. At launch, this added a few extra steps. Today, those steps are far easier to manage.

Vault now offers streamlined account creation, clear explanations of when and why an account is needed, and improved handling of fees and bridging. Most importantly, everything is presented in a way that guides the user through each decision rather than leaving them to guess what to do next.

The end result is a much smoother onboarding and account management experience, even for users interacting with multiple dApps.

The Evolution of Chromia Vault

This update represents a major improvement to the overall mainnet experience. From asset visibility, to cross chain actions, to staking and onboarding, every section of Vault has been refined to be clearer, more consistent, and more user friendly.

As the ecosystem grows, Vault will continue evolving. The team is already working on the next round of enhancements, and you can expect ongoing improvements that make Chromia more accessible for both new users and long time participants.

The latest changes in the crypto market have made investors pay attention to the next cryptocurrency to explode.

This happens while other cryptocurrencies are struggling to keep their key price levels. It’s the perfect timing for Bonk, Pepe, Ultra, and Chromia, which have been identified as potential candidates for exponential growth.

1. Bonk (BONK)Bonk (BONK) is the Solana-based meme token, and it has seen some great increases in price, with over 24.34% increase in 24 hours. As a result, it has reached $0.00002665.

The token’s market capitalization has been raised by 24.26% to $1.83 billion. This was the direct effect of a proposal to reduce token supply and add it to the on-chain data provider Xangle.

Below, you can check out the Bonk DAO account on X, which announces their request to burn over 84 billion BONK tokens. These tokens were received from BONKBOT in Q2 and can now help with community initiative voting.

BONK DAO has received a proposal to BURN ~84B BONK from its Treasury representing the Q2 amount of BONK sent to the DAO from BONKBot.

All BONK locked on BonkRewards is now able to vote on community proposals.

2. Pepe (PEPE)PEPE has been recovering fast from its monthly lows. The frog-themed token was observed generating profits of over 15% in 24 hours, while its trading volume increased by a whopping 63%, to $1.5 billion.

This coin’s technical indicators suggest that a possible upward movement is on the horizon.

We can only speculate about what will happen with PEPE in the next few months, but it has great potential to at least contribute to the next big crypto boom.

3. Pepe Unchained (PEPU)Pepe Unchained (PEPU), has surprised the crypto community with its increase in value to over $2.85 million in presale funds.

This fresh meme coin works on its own Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain and has already received 150000 in investments in just a few minutes from its launch.

The coin currently stands at $0.0083258. The $PEPU price is expected to increase to $0.00835910 in the next presale stage.

4. Ultra (UOS)Ultra (UOS) is another great contender for this guide, with a clear goal to break the monopoly of Steam-like platforms in the gaming industry. And, as you can see below, it’s looking promising!

The MACD technical indicator has shown mixed results, with the green histogram on a decline, but with the averages continuing to rise.
