(“Saipem”) for Early Works and Services supporting the development of Aduro's planned First-of-a-Kind (“FOAK”) Hydrochemolytic™ Technology ("HCT") Facility at Chemelot in the Netherlands. Early Works activities are expected to be funded from the Company’s existing cash resources and are not expected to require additional financing.

The selection follows a comprehensive evaluation process and establishes the engineering and project execution framework for Aduro's FOAK Program. The two companies intend to advance the project through a structured, stage-gated execution model that aligns engineering development with technical validation, supporting disciplined progression from pilot-scale operations toward industrial deployment.

The initial phase of the collaboration focuses on early engineering and procurement activities, including review of the Process Design Package, optimization of critical equipment packages, preliminary utility integration, and capital cost refinement. These activities are intended to mature the project definition while incorporating operating data generated through Aduro's Next Generation Process (“NGP”) Pilot Plant. Subject to successful completion of each development stage, the parties’ continued evaluation of the project, and the execution of definitive agreements, the collaboration is expected to progress through Front-End Engineering Design (“FEED”), detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up.

Aduro has intentionally aligned engineering activities with its ongoing pilot operating campaigns. This integrated approach enables lessons learned through pilot operations to be incorporated directly into the industrial design, reducing execution risk while strengthening the reference design for future commercial deployment. With Saipem engaged during the engineering readiness stage, Aduro expects the company's vast engineering and project execution experience to further help refine the planned facility design, validate key engineering assumptions, and support preparation for a potential FEED phase.

The planned FOAK Plant represents the next step in Aduro's commercialization strategy by providing the initial industrial-scale implementation of Hydrochemolytic™ Technology. The broader FOAK Facility is intended to establish the engineering, operating, and economic foundation for future commercial plants and provide a repeatable execution model for subsequent deployments.

Since announcing initial laboratory results and filing a continuation-in-part patent application for paraffinic crude upgrading, Aduro has continued advancing the program toward continuous-flow process development.

Program Highlights

Feedstock secured: Yellow and black paraffinic crude feedstocks have been secured from multiple Uinta Basin sources in quantities sufficient to support the next phase of test campaigns and longer-duration continuous-flow testing.Continuous-flow capability completed: Aduro has completed the design, build and testing of a new lab-scale continuous-flow unit dedicated to the paraffinic crude program.London facility expanded: Approximately 4,600 square feet of additional space has been added to accommodate equipment, feedstock handling and expanded operating activities.Operations consolidated: Operating activities and equipment have been relocated from Sarnia to London, with additional research, engineering and operations personnel now based at the London facility.Next development objective: Establish the relevant operating envelope and demonstrate HCT under extended continuous-flow operation across different paraffinic crude feedstocks. Highly paraffinic crude oils can offer desirable refining characteristics, but elevated wax content creates storage, handling and transportation challenges that add cost, operational complexity and can restrict downstream market access. Aduro is investigating whether HCT can improve cold-flow and handling characteristics while retaining properties valued by downstream users. Published estimates indicate that paraffinic and waxy crudes account for approximately 20% to 33% of global crude production, underscoring the scale of the opportunity.

Initial laboratory work has shown that HCT can materially reduce heavy wax-range components and improve the cold-flow properties of highly paraffinic crude. Building on these results, the current work will evaluate process performance across different feedstocks and operating conditions, including conversion, yield, product characteristics, stability and fouling potential. A key objective is to establish an operating envelope and demonstrate HCT under extended continuous-flow operation, providing the data needed to define the next phase of process development.

To support this work, Aduro has completed the design, build and testing of a new lab-scale continuous-flow unit dedicated to paraffinic crude processing at its London facility. The new unit is distinct from the Company’s existing R2 systems and provides additional capability for continuous-flow testing as the program progresses through the later stages of Technology Demonstration.

Through engagement with the Utah Petroleum Association and regional producers, Aduro secured feedstocks from multiple Uinta Basin sources, broadening the range of crude characteristics available for evaluation during continuous-flow campaigns.

The Company has also expanded the London facility by approximately 4,600 square feet to accommodate additional equipment, feedstock handling and operating activities. As part of a broader consolidation of development operations, Aduro has completed the relocation of operating activities and equipment from Sarnia, including the existing R2 units, and expanded its research, engineering and operations teams in London. Bringing people, equipment and development activities together at one location is intended to streamline logistics, improve coordination across technical and operating teams, and make more efficient use of Aduro development infrastructure.

The petroleum applications program is led by industry veteran Scott Smith, M.A.Sc., P.Eng., Program Director, Petroleum Technology Solutions. Working with Aduro’s research, engineering and operations teams, Mr. Smith is directing the current Technology Demonstration work while mapping the broader development pathway for the paraffinic crude application. The current activities represent the later stages of Technology Demonstration and are intended to establish the technical basis for progression into Process Development and Optimization, where a broader range of operating conditions and process configurations can be evaluated.

(“ECOCE”) has advanced to the next phase following completion of Phase 1 feedstock mapping and stream selection. Selected post-consumer flexible plastic packaging streams in Mexico are now moving into a Hydrochemolytic™ Technology (“HCT”) test campaign to evaluate their conversion into liquid hydrocarbon products for downstream circular plastics applications.

The collaboration, announced in December 2025, is structured as a phased, data-driven evaluation of flexible plastic packaging collected through recovery systems in Mexico. Phase 1 drew on ECOCE’s ongoing national feedstock mapping program, conducted for its member companies, from which the parties completed the selection of candidate material streams for the next stage of work. Led by ECOCE, the mapping identified multiple post-consumer flexible packaging streams and assessed them for estimated availability, collection routes, physical form, contamination profile, and preparation requirements. The work identified candidate streams with sufficient available volume to support an industrially relevant evaluation and with material characteristics that warrant advancement to HCT testing.

Flexible plastic packaging is one of the most difficult material categories to manage within existing recycling systems. These streams can include polyethylene, polypropylene, and multilayer packaging formats, along with inks, adhesives, mixed structures, small formats, and varying levels of contamination. In line with the waste hierarchy, reduction, reuse, and mechanical recycling remain preferred options where they are technically and economically viable. For flexible packaging streams that are not well suited to mechanical or physical recycling, the collaboration is evaluating whether HCT can provide a route to recover hydrocarbon value from these materials and help return them to the plastics value chain.

ECOCE has identified flexible plastic packaging as a major and growing material category in Mexico, with available data indicating that approximately 1.5 million tonnes of flexible plastic packaging are generated annually in the country. Phase 1 has built on that market context by mapping candidate flexible and multilayer plastic packaging waste streams, including material categories, collection routes, geographic sourcing, and indicative contamination levels. The materials mapped through Phase 1 include flexible polypropylene packaging, flexible polyethylene packaging, and multilayer flexible packaging, including common post-consumer formats such as snack and cookie wrappers, grocery and bread bags, seed and grain packaging, pet food packaging, cold-cut and dairy packaging, and resealable pouch formats.

ECOCE’s work with leading food and beverage companies, representing more than 400 brands, gives the collaboration practical relevance to packaging value-chain priorities and the need for credible circularity options for difficult-to-recycle flexible packaging. The objective is to build an evidence-based understanding of how selected flexible packaging streams can move through a circular value chain: from post-consumer collection and characterization, through feedstock preparation and HCT conversion, to liquid hydrocarbon products for evaluation by petrochemical and polymer value chains.

With Phase 1 complete and the next-phase testing program defined, the collaboration now moves into HCT testing of selected material streams. Aduro will begin with lab-scale evaluation to assess how selected Mexican flexible and multilayer plastic waste streams respond to HCT, including processability, product characteristics, yield, residues, contaminant behaviour, and mass balance. As part of this next phase, Adrián Velasco, Director of Flexible Plastic Packaging at ECOCE, will visit Aduro facilities to review the testing pathway, sample requirements, and pilot-scale development program. The visit will help align ECOCE’s knowledge of recovery systems in Mexico with the Company’s technical evaluation process as selected streams move from feedstock mapping into HCT testing. Successful lab-scale results will inform progression to Phase 3 testing on the Next Generation Process (“NGP”) Pilot Plant to support scale-up assessment, customer evaluation, and future commercial analysis.
