CSWAP přidal podporu Phantom Wallet do BTC Karma, takže držitelé bitcoinu mohou přímo připojit peněženku a během pár kliknutí stakovat BTC na Cardanu. Firma říká, že tím snižuje bariéry pro vstup bitcoinové likvidity do ekosystému Cardano.
CSWAP has highlighted a new integration aimed at simplifying how Bitcoin holders can participate in decentralized finance on the Cardano network.
The update follows an announcement from BTC Karma, CSWAP’s Bitcoin-native DeFi protocol, confirming support for the Phantom Wallet. With the integration now live, Bitcoin users can connect their Phantom wallets directly to BTC Karma and stake BTC in just a few clicks.
According to BTC Karma, the new wallet support removes onboarding friction and creates a more straightforward path for Bitcoin holders seeking yield opportunities through decentralized finance applications.
CSWAP Positions Wallet Expansion as a Liquidity Gateway Following the announcement, CSWAP emphasized the broader importance of the integration for the Cardano ecosystem.
The protocol noted that every additional wallet it supports lowers the barriers that prevent Bitcoin liquidity from flowing into Cardano-based applications. Consequently, the addition of Phantom support marks another step toward attracting the next generation of Bitcoin DeFi users.
“Every wallet we support makes it easier for Bitcoin liquidity to enter the Cardano ecosystem,” CSWAP remarked.
CSWAP CEO Hints at More Integrations Reacting to the launch, CSWAP founder and CEO Jon Kravetz reiterated the team’s commitment to expanding BTC Karma’s reach across additional wallets and user communities.
He described the Phantom integration as part of a broader effort to extend the BTC Karma ecosystem across the cryptocurrency industry. Furthermore, Kravetz hinted that the team is already developing additional integrations, signaling plans to continue lowering entry barriers for Bitcoin holders interested in Cardano’s DeFi opportunities.
Just added @phantom wallet support on @btc_karma.
We're spreading good $KARMA far and wide.
We're turning bitcoin…in to productive capital one wallet at a time. (There's more coming!) https://t.co/npV7lJoNyQ

For context, BTC Karma is widely regarded as the first Bitcoin-native DeFi protocol operating directly on the Cardano mainnet. The platform serves as a bridge, allowing Bitcoin holders to earn yield and receive new tokens while participating in the Cardano ecosystem.
Notably, the protocol’s design aligns closely with Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson’s vision of bringing idle Bitcoin capital into the ADA ecosystem. Hoskinson argued that Cardano can unlock more than $2 trillion in Bitcoin DeFi opportunities, stressing that the network has a strong chance of becoming a major player in the emerging sector.
Cardano Continues to Expand Its Bitcoin DeFi Ambitions Meanwhile, Cardano continues to advance its broader DeFi strategy through several processes, including Bitcoin integration initiatives.
Earlier this year, Fluid Tokens completed the first atomic swap between Bitcoin and Cardano, demonstrating growing interoperability between the two networks. In addition, Cardano previously introduced its first Bitcoin DeFi protocol, Cardinal, which allows BTC holders to bridge and stake their assets without selling them.
Hoskinson also revealed plans earlier this year to launch a one-click Bitcoin yield system on Cardano before year-end. However, the project has yet to provide an update on its progress.
In the meantime, competition in the Bitcoin DeFi sector continues to intensify, with rivals such as Flare arguing that they are better positioned to lead the race for Bitcoin-based decentralized finance.

Cardano udrželo transakční poplatky na 0,05143 USD, tedy asi o 35 % pod předchozím průměrem 0,08 USD. Bitwise zároveň plánuje ETF s 10 kryptoměnami včetně ADA.
Cardano’s network has continued to see notably low transaction fees in recent months, alongside progress in decentralization metrics and declining user costs. Data from the platform highlights that despite ADA’s weak price action, Cardano is maintaining technical resilience on the blockchain side.
Transaction fees remain lowAccording to Chainspect data shared by analyst MB, Cardano’s transaction fees have largely fluctuated within a narrow range of $0.07 to $0.09 over the past three months. While transaction costs have surged rapidly during busy periods on many blockchains, Cardano has managed to keep operating costs low despite ongoing transfers and staking activity.
During periods of increased network use, fees briefly approached $0.09, a spike attributed primarily to DeFi and NFT transactions. However, this rise proved temporary; by June 20, transaction costs had slumped to $0.05143. This marks a roughly 35% drop from the previous average of $0.08.
Despite higher on-chain activity, Cardano managed to keep transaction costs low, with fees falling to $0.05143 on June 20.
ADA price outlook remains cautiousAlthough the network’s technical performance appears stable, ADA’s market structure remains fragile. Analyst Ali Charts noted that following a recent attack on Cardano wallets—resulting in the theft of 129 million ADA, worth around $20 million—the daily chart has shown a TD Sequential buy signal.
However, doubts persist about the sustainability of any price rebounds. Analysts highlight a key resistance zone between $0.160 and $0.176. The formation of lower highs and lower lows in ADA’s price structure continues to weigh on sentiment. At the time of reporting, ADA is trading above $0.144, currently near $0.1503.
Mini glossary: TD Sequential is a technical analysis indicator that helps identify possible turning points in price action, while resistance refers to a price region where selling pressure may stall a rally.
Decentralization and institutional interest in focusCardano is showing signs of not only stable fees but also a strengthening network structure. Chainspect data reveals the network’s Nakamoto coefficient has climbed to 28—a figure measuring the minimum number of independent entities required to compromise a blockchain’s control. With this metric, Cardano has surpassed Avalanche to claim third place for decentralization.
In practical terms, this means 28 independent actors would need to act in concert to undermine Cardano’s network. Developed in 2017 under the leadership of Charles Hoskinson, Cardano is known for its research-driven approach to blockchain innovation.
Institutional activity around Cardano is picking up as well. Market analyst Cheeky Crypto reported that asset manager Bitwise is planning to launch an ETF comprising 10 cryptocurrencies, including ADA. Bitwise is a leading developer of crypto-focused investment products, and such a launch could boost institutional interest in Cardano.
Cheeky Crypto stated that Bitwise’s plan for an ETF including ADA could be a catalyst for increased institutional engagement with Cardano.
In the coming period, traders will be watching to see if ADA can establish a foothold above the $0.160–$0.176 resistance range. Network activity, deepening decentralization, and Bitwise’s ETF initiative are expected to be key factors shaping price trends moving forward.

The Cardano ecosystem recorded several major developments over the past week. Most notably, the launch of the Leios public testnet led activity. There were also upcoming decentralized finance (DeFi) initiatives, renewed ecosystem funding, and an application-level security incident involving the SecondFi wallet.
Here’s what happened in the Cardano ecosystem in the last week:
Leios Public Testnet Goes LiveCardano officially launched the public testnet for Leios, its next-generation scaling protocol, on June 23. Named Musashi Dojo after the legendary samurai Miyamoto Musashi, the testnet marks one of the network’s most known technical milestones in years. Moreover, the upgrade is seen as a major boost to Cardano’s transaction throughput by up to 65X. A mainnet hard fork is targeted for November 2026.
The rollout is structured into five phases: Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Void. These will progressively test the protocol from initial design validation to adversarial testing before mainnet deployment. As a result, the testnet allows stake pool operators (SPOs) to deploy Leios-enabled block producers. Developers can also begin testing decentralized applications (DApps), wallets, and infrastructure ahead of the upgrade.
RealFi Testnet Set for July LaunchInput Output Global (IOG) also announced that Phase 1 of its RealFi testnet will launch on July 6.
The project aims to improve capital efficiency by enabling stablecoins to generate yield instead of remaining idle. The initiative represents IOG’s latest effort to expand decentralized finance (DeFi) use cases within the Cardano ecosystem.
Big news: the RealFi Phase 1 Testnet goes live on 6 July. 🚀

— alphagrowth (@alphagrowth1) June 22, 2026 The firm plans to request 120 million ADA from the Cardano treasury to fund the initiative. It is also showcasing its previous work with major blockchain ecosystems including Compound, Uniswap, and Arbitrum. Notably, it says it helped support more than $1 billion in total value locked (TVL).
SecondFi Exploit Prompts Security ReminderThe week also saw a security incident involving SecondFi, formerly known as the Yoroi wallet. A vulnerability reportedly resulted in the theft of approximately 16 million ADA.
SecondFi stated that affected users will be fully compensated and advised users to follow updates through its official channels.
Addressing concerns, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson emphasized that the blockchain itself was not compromised. He stated that Cardano’s protocol, cryptography, and core infrastructure remain secure.
He described the exploit as an isolated application-level issue rather than a network-wide vulnerability.
Cardano’s native token ADA traded at $0.1439, declining 0.8% over the past 24 hours despite a series of ecosystem developments.

Cardano Foundation vyzvala SPOs, aby při governance hlasování hlasovali explicitně a nenechávali systém na auto-abstain. Podle ní i zdržení ovlivňuje výsledky hlasování.
The Cardano Foundation is telling Stake Pool Operators they need to actually show up and vote. Not just let the system auto-abstain on their behalf, but deliberately choose Yes, No, or Abstain on governance actions, even if abstaining is what they planned to do anyway.
It might sound like a distinction without a difference. It’s not. An explicit abstain vote signals that an SPO reviewed the proposal and made a conscious decision. Auto-abstain means they didn’t bother looking. In a governance system built on transparency and accountability, the gap between those two is enormous.
Why manual votes matter in Voltaire-era governance Cardano’s governance structure, part of its Voltaire era, splits decision-making power across three groups: Stake Pool Operators, Delegated Representatives (DReps), and the Constitutional Committee (CC). Most governance actions require at least two of these three groups to approve them, with SPO votes often needing a minimum of 51% approval for certain action types.
The Foundation itself has committed to voting on all governance actions and publishing public rationales for each decision. To help SPOs and other participants navigate what can be a confusing process, the Foundation released 14 flowcharts in July 2025. These tools break down the various governance action types and clarify the responsibilities of each voting group.
The push for active voting also ties into the Foundation’s broader strategy of reducing its own outsized influence. In early 2026, the Foundation adjusted its delegation strategies by cutting back on passive holdings, a move designed to encourage others to step into more active governance roles.
The treasury vote that proved governance is real A treasury withdrawal proposal requesting approximately 7.8 million ADA, roughly $2 million, to fund the Cardano Summit 2026 went to a community vote. It needed 66.67% DRep support to pass. It got 65.21%. The proposal failed by less than 1.5 percentage points, and the Summit, which had been scheduled for early June 2026, was cancelled as a result.
The Foundation’s role in that vote is worth noting. Rather than casting its own vote, it abstained specifically to avoid exerting undue influence on the outcome.
The failed vote also illustrates why the Foundation is now pushing SPOs to participate actively. Every abstention, whether deliberate or by default, affects the math. When governance actions live or die by fractions of a percentage point, passive non-participation isn’t neutral. It’s consequential.
The bigger picture: decentralization gets uncomfortable The three-body governance model, with SPOs, DReps, and the CC each holding distinct roles, is designed to prevent any single faction from dominating. Cardano’s high approval thresholds, requiring a two-thirds supermajority for treasury actions, create a natural check against unrestrained spending.
The Foundation’s insistence on public rationales for every vote adds another layer of accountability. When voters have to explain their reasoning on-chain, it becomes much harder to engage in performative governance or vote trading without scrutiny.
Notably, ADA’s price showed no significant immediate reaction to the failed treasury vote. Governance participation rates and voting patterns are becoming metrics worth tracking for anyone evaluating Cardano’s fundamental health, not just its token price.
The Foundation’s call for SPOs to vote explicitly rather than auto-abstain is, at its core, a recognition that decentralized governance only works if people actually govern.

Charles Hoskinson uvedl, že Midnight’s Glacier Drop přivedl tisíce uživatelů z Bitcoinu, XRP a dalších sítí do Cardana. Airdrop je přiměl poprvé pracovat s peněženkami a aplikacemi Cardana.
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has highlighted the success of Midnight’s Glacier Drop as a major driver of new user adoption for the Cardano ecosystem.
In a recent commentary, Hoskinson described the Midnight project as a success story, pointing to the impact of its Glacier Drop campaign. Beyond distributing tokens to eligible participants across multiple blockchain ecosystems, he emphasized that the initiative introduced thousands of users from rival networks to Cardano’s infrastructure for the first time.
Glacier Drop Attracts Users From Multiple Blockchains: Hoskinson According to Hoskinson, the airdrop attracted holders from Bitcoin, XRP, and several other blockchain ecosystems. To claim their NIGHT tokens, eligible users had to interact directly with the Cardano network. Notably, many participants used Cardano wallets and decentralized applications for the first time to complete the redemption process.
Midnight is a privacy-focused partner chain designed to deliver programmable privacy features for enterprises and real-world applications while remaining connected to the broader Cardano ecosystem.
Through the Glacier Drop initiative, Midnight distributed NIGHT tokens to users across ecosystems such as the XRP Ledger, Bitcoin, and Solana instead of limiting eligibility to Cardano holders alone.
Users who held at least $100 worth of eligible native assets qualified for the airdrop and became eligible to receive a share of the NIGHT token allocation.
To complete the claim, participants had to:
Visit the Glacier Drop portal. Sign a transaction using their wallet on the originating blockchain. Provide an unused Cardano address as the destination wallet. Receive their NIGHT tokens directly on the Cardano network. Hoskinson Sees the Process as an Onboarding Engine Hoskinson believes this redemption model will serve as a powerful onboarding mechanism for Cardano.
By requiring users from competing ecosystems to interact with Cardano infrastructure, the Glacier Drop encouraged them to explore Cardano wallets, decentralized applications, and transaction processes firsthand.
As users claim their rewards, some might become active participants in the Cardano ecosystem rather than passive recipients of an airdrop.
Midnight’s Popularity Surged After Launch The Glacier Drop also played a major role in Midnight’s early momentum. NIGHT quickly became one of the most trending crypto assets globally for several weeks following its launch. The token also reached a market cap of $1 billion within weeks.
The initiative also generated significant activity on Cardano. Within just 42 days, Midnight-related activity recorded 354,000 transactions on the network.
Today, the ecosystem continues to expand, with Midnight recording 77,311 unique wallets and 929,540 transactions linked to the project. However, the market valuation of NIGHT has plummeted to $504 million at press time, translating to a unit price of $0.03035.

SecondFi po exploitu na Cardanu očekává zahájení vracení aktiv zhruba za dva týdny po dokončení testů a bezpečnostních kontrol. Firma uvedla, že incident zasáhl asi 16 milionů ADA na 374 adresách.
Cardano wallet SecondFi has identified a recovery path for users affected by Tuesday's exploit and expects to begin returning assets in about two weeks, following testing and security reviews.
According to a Saturday statement by Phillip Pon, CEO of SecondFi developer Emurgo, the company completed forensic investigations and established a recovery pathway for affected users. Pon said the coming week would be spent building the solution, followed by another week of testing before assets begin to be returned.
Pon urged users to refrain from migrating assets or taking actions outside official guidance, saying the recovery process was designed around existing wallet states and that independent action could complicate the secure return of funds.
SecondFi developer Emurgo shared an update on the wallet's recovery efforts. Source: Emurgo
SecondFi disclosed a security breach on Tuesday that affected approximately 16 million ADA, worth about $2.4 million at the time, across 374 addresses. SecondFi previously said it traced the incident to an address-level issue in its Cardano web wallet generation software that exposed users' private keys.
The company also said it secured roughly 129 million ADA through emergency measures and transferred the funds to an independent third-party custodian, where they will remain until the verification and recovery process is complete.
SecondFi has not yet published a comprehensive post-mortem detailing the vulnerability or how the exploit was carried out.
SecondFi warns of recovery-related scamsIn a separate update on Saturday, SecondFi warned that malicious actors are circulating fraudulent messages impersonating the wallet while its recovery effort remains underway.
The company said no recovery actions requiring user participation have begun and that it will never ask users for private keys, seed phrases, wallet credentials or direct wallet access.
SecondFi said any messages instructing users to submit wallet information, migrate assets or take immediate action outside its verified communication channels should be treated as fraudulent.
It added that users requiring assistance should submit a ticket through its official support portal while the recovery process continues.

A Smart Contract Approach to Wallet RecoveryCardano founder Charles Hoskinson (@IOHK_Charles) is experimenting with a smart contract designed to help users recover funds from wallets compromised in the recent SecondFi exploit. According to Hoskinson, the contract would use a zero-knowledge proof to verify that a claimant possesses the 24-word seed phrase associated with an affected wallet, without requiring that phrase to be exposed on-chain. If verified, the contract would vend $ADA and Cardano native tokens from a dedicated recovery pool to the confirmed owner. Hoskinson said he plans to coordinate with the Midnight team and key developers on the findings before any wider rollout.
The Midnight network, Cardano's privacy-focused sidechain, is a natural fit for this kind of work. Hoskinson has previously described Midnight as deeply connected to zero-knowledge systems , and the project's cryptographic tooling makes it a practical base for building proof-based recovery mechanisms.
The SecondFi Exploit: What Happened SecondFi, the Cardano wallet formerly known as Yoroi, confirmed a major exploit that drained roughly 16 million $ADA, worth approximately $2.4 million, from 374 user wallets across three separate attacks. SecondFi's team traced the breach to a vulnerability in its proprietary wallet generation software, which gave attackers access to funds across multiple user wallets. Critically, Cardano's base protocol was not the entry point.
The team rescued a further 129 million $ADA before attackers could reach it, routing funds to a third-party custodian, but blockchain security firm SlowMist estimates total losses could still exceed $20 million pending an independent audit. Users cannot protect themselves by simply moving their seed phrase to another wallet. The vulnerability activates at the address level when a transaction is signed, and affected users must submit claims directly to SecondFi.
SecondFi was built on the foundations of Yoroi, a wallet created by EMURGO, one of the three founding entities behind Cardano. That history makes the breach sting harder for the community. The team says it is working with IOG, Cardano Foundation, IntersectMBO, and SundaeSwap to limit damage across the wider ecosystem.
Hoskinson's proposed recovery mechanism remains experimental, and no timeline has been confirmed. Its viability will depend on the technical findings from his coordination with the Midnight team and core developers. For now, affected users have been advised to wait for official guidance from SecondFi before taking any independent action.

Aktivní adresy na síti Cardano podruhé tento měsíc vzrostly, i když ADA se drží poblíž minima od prosince 2020. Santiment zároveň zaznamenal vyšší podíl Cardana v diskusích na sociálních sítích.
The number of active addresses on the Cardano network has climbed for the second time this month, even as ADA’s price hovers around its lowest point since December 2020. The recent uptick in on-chain activity has also been reflected in greater Cardano visibility and discussion across social media channels.
Network data stands out amid ongoing price pressureThe combination of persistent price pressures and heated debates within the Cardano community has put the project back in the spotlight. As a result, both investors and analysts are paying close attention to short-term trends, trying to gauge the next direction for ADA.
According to analytics platform Santiment, both active address numbers and Cardano’s share of social media discussions rose at the same time. Santiment’s charts indicate that this pattern appeared twice already this month, each time coinciding with a limited price rebound for ADA.
Santiment’s latest analysis notes that while Cardano’s price has slipped to its lowest levels in years, active user participation and community discussions have sharply increased—previously, similar patterns were seen just ahead of brief price recoveries.
Analysts highlight that the current situation closely mirrors previous spikes in activity. However, they caution that as long as overall price pressure continues, renewed on-chain engagement alone may not be enough to trigger a lasting reversal for ADA.
Much of the renewed attention comes in the wake of new statements from Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson. In his recent remarks, Hoskinson warned that more Cardano-based projects could fail under current conditions, and he announced a reduction in his own public visibility, deepening uncertainty within the community.
At the same time, disagreements around the management of Cardano’s treasury funds have caused further division across the ecosystem. These disputes, amplified on social platforms, have fueled a more negative atmosphere but also led to increased discussion and engagement on ADA-related topics. The jump in daily active addresses suggests that user interest remains resilient in spite of the challenges.
Security breach triggers focus on resistance levelsThe recent security breach affecting a Cardano-based wallet protocol has further intensified pressure on ADA. Approximately 129 million ADA were withdrawn as a result of this attack, equating to around $20 million at current market prices.
Despite this setback, market analyst Ali Charts observed a buy signal from the TD Sequential indicator on ADA’s daily chart. This technical tool is known for identifying potential exhaustion and reversal zones, sometimes pointing to short-lived price rebounds.
Glossary: The TD Sequential is a technical indicator designed to spot potential exhaustion points and trend reversals in market prices. It is rarely used in isolation and is often combined with support, resistance, and volume data for confirmation.
Ali Charts argues that, in spite of the Cardano wallet protocol security incident and the loss of nearly 129 million ADA, a TD Sequential buy signal has appeared on the daily chart. However, he notes that the prevailing market structure remains too weak to support a sustained recovery at this stage.
According to Ali Charts, any attempted rebound is likely to encounter resistance between $0.160 and $0.176. If ADA fails to break through $0.176, recent buyers could end up trapped, with prices potentially falling back to lower levels. The simultaneous appearance of a buy signal amid negative news has made the outlook for ADA increasingly complex.
The coming days will be crucial as Cardano navigates technical, governance, and security challenges against a backdrop of heightened community activity. The interplay between social momentum and ongoing headwinds will likely shape ADA’s short-term path.

Charles Hoskinson uvedl, že Cardano nebylo hacknuto a incident se týkal jen aplikace SecondFi, ne samotné blockchainové infrastruktury. SecondFi potvrdilo útok na úrovni adres a podpisů.
Charles Hoskinson reassures the ADA community following the security incident involving SecondFi, emphasizing that the breach did not compromise the Cardano blockchain itself.
His comments came as concerns spread throughout the Cardano ecosystem after reports revealed that attackers exploited vulnerabilities connected to SecondFi wallets, resulting in significant losses for affected users.
Hoskinson: Cardano Core Infrastructure Remains Secure According to Hoskinson, there is no evidence that the incident affected any component of Cardano’s underlying technology stack. He stressed that the network’s protocol, cryptographic foundations, node infrastructure, and open-source wallet implementations continue to function as intended.
Consequently, he classified the incident as an application-level security failure rather than a failure of the blockchain itself. His commentary sought to calm fears that the breach could threaten ordinary ADA holders who do not use SecondFi.

— Charles Hoskinson (@IOHK_Charles) June 24, 2026
“Cardano Was Not Hacked” Further, he rejected claims that the blockchain itself was compromised, stressing that “Cardano was not hacked.” According to him, describing the incident as a “Cardano hack” creates the false impression that the blockchain’s core infrastructure failed.
Interestingly, he compared the situation to a vulnerable third-party application running on an operating system. Using an analogy involving Microsoft and its Windows platform, Hoskinson argued that users do not blame Windows whenever an external application contains bugs or security flaws.
Similarly, he maintained that vulnerabilities in an individual wallet or financial application should not be interpreted as weaknesses in Cardano’s protocol. He also reiterated that users’ funds across the broader Cardano ecosystem remain secure.
SecondFi Confirms Attack Originated at Address and Signing Layer Hoskinson’s reassurance followed reports of a large-scale exploit suffered by SecondFi (formerly Yoroi Wallet), a neo-finance application owned by EMURGO, one of Cardano’s founding entities.
Following the incident, SecondFi disclosed that the breach occurred at the address and transaction-signing level, allowing malicious actors to initiate unauthorized transactions.
According to the company, four separate wallet-draining incidents occurred earlier this week. Three of those attacks were linked to external threat actors and resulted in the theft of approximately 16 million ADA from 374 wallets.
Meanwhile, the company revealed that it secured an additional 129 million ADA by transferring the assets to a third-party custodian as an emergency precaution.
SecondFi Deploys Patch and Begins Recovery Process In response to the incident, SecondFi announced that it has already deployed a security patch and engaged an external auditor to verify customer holdings. The company also confirmed that it is developing a claims process for affected users to facilitate compensation and recovery efforts.
Notably, SecondFi warned users not to restore their recovery phrases into other wallets. It added that doing so could disrupt or complicate the claims process for affected funds.

SecondFi potvrdila krádež 16 milionů ADA při napadení peněženek Cardano a varuje, že ohroženo může být až 129 milionů ADA. Zasaženo bylo 178 peněženek a platforma pozastavila transakce.
SecondFi, the Cardano ecosystem wallet application formerly known as Yoroi, reported a critical security breach on June 23. The incident involved a vulnerability in the platform’s online wallet generation system, which may have exposed the private keys of some users.
178 wallets directly affected in initial findingsInitial investigations revealed that 178 wallets were directly impacted by the breach. Confirmed losses from the incident amounted to 16 million ADA, equivalent to approximately $2.4 million at current prices. In addition to ADA, various digital assets and NFTs were reportedly stolen during the exploit.
SecondFi stated that the root cause of the recent security incident lay in its Cardano wallet generation software. Following the discovery, the platform halted all transactions and urged users to transfer their assets to alternative wallets for safety.
Blockchain security firm SlowMist pointed to an even broader threat landscape, estimating that the total potential loss could exceed $20 million, with up to 129 million ADA at risk. The difference between the confirmed losses and the projected total risk suggests that additional compromised but as-yet untouched wallets may exist within the ecosystem.
Glossary: A private key is a secret code that grants full control over assets in a crypto wallet. If this information is leaked, funds can be transferred from the wallet without the owner’s consent.
IndicatorDisclosed dataDirectly affected wallets178Confirmed loss16 million ADAApproximate USD equivalent$2.4 millionSlowMist estimated risk129 million ADAPlatform suspended transactionsIn response to the breach, SecondFi froze account balances and placed its system in maintenance mode. The platform, which serves over one million users, also issued an urgent warning that all wallets created through the compromised system should now be considered at risk.
SecondFi has yet to share a timeline for compensating affected users. A comprehensive security audit is underway, but detailed results have not been published.
Legacy of Yoroi amplified the impactThe rebranding from Yoroi to SecondFi took place in April 2026. Previously, Yoroi had been recognized as a lightweight wallet developed by Emurgo, one of the three founding entities of the Cardano network. Yoroi was widely used by those seeking a lightweight custody solution for ADA without running a full node.
The incident’s impact is particularly significant because the breach occurred in a wallet with historic ties to the core Cardano ecosystem, not just in a third-party service. This background has raised additional concerns in the Cardano community.
According to SlowMist, total losses related to SecondFi could surpass $20 million, with more vulnerable wallets potentially still at risk of exploitation.
Warnings issued over secondary fraud attemptsSecurity researchers have warned of a second wave of threats following the breach. Malicious actors are impersonating official SecondFi channels, distributing fake recovery tools to steal users’ information and access their funds.
Experts recommend that anyone who has ever used SecondFi or the former Yoroi web wallet immediately generate new private keys and move their assets to secured wallets. However, SecondFi has not announced when normal operations will resume or when a full security report will be released.

SEC schválila změnu pravidel pro zalistování aktivně spravovaného T. Rowe Price Active Crypto ETF na NYSE Arca. Fond má držet zhruba 5 až 15 různých kryptoměn včetně BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, ADA, AVAX, LTC, DOT, DOGE a LINK.
On June 14, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings show the regulator has formally approved a rule change proposed by NYSE Arca that enables the listing and trading of the T. Rowe Price Active Crypto ETF. An actively managed cryptocurrency ETF, the fund will invest in a basket of digital assets meeting SEC-defined "eligible asset" criteria. While it uses a cryptocurrency index as its benchmark, it will not track that index passively. The filing notes the fund is projected to hold roughly 5 to 15 distinct cryptocurrencies, including major tokens like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, Cardano (ADA), Avalanche (AVAX), Litecoin (LTC), Polkadot (DOT), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Chainlink (LINK). The SEC filing also reveals the fund may hold stablecoins—primarily USDC—as "tokenized cash" during normal operations to cover expenses and rebalance assets, though these will not count toward its core investment portfolio. The approval notice stresses the product must adhere to NYSE Arca’s rules around anti-manipulation, disclosure, liquidity, and risk management. It also requires the fund to have information barriers (often called "firewalls") and position transparency mechanisms in place to uphold market fairness and prevent insider trading. Analysts say this ETF’s approval further expands cryptocurrency’s footprint within the traditional financial sector, marking the arrival of actively managed multi-crypto ETFs as tradable products under mainstream regulatory oversight.

SBI announced it will acquire cryptocurrency trading platform Bitbank for 46.7 billion yen.
According to Nikkei News, Japanese financial group SBI Holdings announced on the 25th that it will acquire cryptocurrency exchange platform bitbank for 46.7 billion yen (approximately $288 million). Upon completion of the transaction, SBI Group’s crypto asset custody scale is expected to exceed 1 trillion yen, making it one of the largest operators in Japan’s crypto industry. Per the plan, a subsidiary under SBI Holdings will acquire Bitbank shares from individual shareholders including its founders as early as August this year. Bitbank will then repurchase shares held by existing shareholders MIXI and Ceres by the end of October. If combining data from SBI’s own crypto exchange SBI VC Trade and Bitbank, as of April this year, the two firms had a total of around 2.92 million accounts and total custody assets of approximately 1.1 trillion yen. Cardano (ADA) is eyeing new crypto exchange listings, as per a proposal targeting this expansion of the coin. According to the post, the foundation has voted "yes" to a proposal that will get ADA listed on more global exchanges.
Cardano expansion proposalNotably, Cardano Foundation supports that a repayable ₳5,000,000 loan — which is approximately $2 to $3 million — be withdrawn from the treasury to fund the proposal. The initiative led by the Snek Foundation is meant to support an expansion of Cardano listings, and the funds will cover listing fees and other costs.
The goal is to ensure more visibility of Cardano on centralized exchanges, with the hopes of increasing adoption for ADA on the crypto marketplace.
It is worth mentioning that there had been previous concerns about this move. Interestingly, Cardano Founder Charles Hoskinson had publicly opposed the idea of using treasury funds for Snek or related listings. Hoskinson had insisted that it was a noncore use of the funds.
However, recent developments indicate that all concerns have now been resolved. Perhaps the shift from "grant" to repayable loan helped to convince the governance team to vote in support of the proposal.
There were four constitutional "yes" votes, and none voted against it. Only one individual chose to abstain from voting. Although the details have not been finalized, once it is done, the community can expect to see an expansion in listings.
"Some minor inconsistencies remain between the budget details and the withdrawal amount, but these can and will be clarified in the final agreement," the foundation stated.
Performance pressure mounts on Cardano In the broader crypto space, critics have continued to take a swipe at the Cardano blockchain over its performance. Recently, Nansen CEO Alex Svanenik claimed that by 2026, Cardano would have dropped out of the top 20 crypto assets by market capitalization ranking.

Svanenik predicted that Hyperliquid, Monad and Zcash could displace ADA, as the asset has failed to find stability and growth. He even referred to Cardano as a "ghost chain" with low utility in the real world.
As reported by U.Today, there is increased pressure on Cardano as Bitcoin Cash (BCH) has been closing in on ADA. As of press time, Bitcoin Cash’s market capitalization stands at $11 billion against Cardano’s $14.65 billion.
Given the poor performance of ADA on the crypto market, there are concerns that BCH could flip it if bearish sentiment lingers for Cardano.
Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin is now available in the Cardano ecosystem through an integration by the cross-chain bridge Wanchain. This development comes amid the Cardano ecosystem’s plans to integrate more stablecoins on the network, while Ripple is also eyeing expansion of its stablecoin beyond the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and Ethereum.
Ripple’s RLUSD Now Available On The Cardano Network In an X post, Wanchain revealed that its cross-chain bridge now supports the RLUSD stablecoin. With the integration, users will be able to bridge the stablecoin directly from the XRPL network to the Cardano network. Furthermore, they can bridge the stablecoin from Ethereum to Cardano.
Additionally, users can bridge Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin on XRPL or Ethereum to Wanchain and then route it from the bridge to the Cardano network. The bridge also enables bridging from the XRPL to the top Layer-1 network, Ethereum.
It is worth noting that RLUSD is currently issued natively only on the XRPL and Ethereum networks. However, Ripple announced plans last year to expand the stablecoin to Ethereum layer-2 networks, including Base, Optimism, Unichain, and Ink. The firm also noted that testing on these chains will begin in partnership with Wormhole.
RLUSD currently ranks as the 8th largest stablecoin, with a market cap of $1.5 billion. Most of the stablecoin’s supply currently sits on the Ethereum network, while 382 million tokens are in circulation on the XRP Ledger.
Boost For Cardano’s Ecosystem Ripple’s RLUSD becomes the second tier-1 stablecoin available to Cardano users, following USDC’s launch on the network earlier this year. It is worth noting that Cardano’s stablecoin market cap has climbed to $50 million following the launch of USDC.
The network’s DeFi TVL had also climbed when USDC launched on the network and could rise again, with network users now able to access RLUSD through the cross-chain bridge. Interestingly, Cardano’s founder, Charles Hoskinson, has long teased plans to integrate RLUSD natively into the network, though that has yet to happen.
Meanwhile, amid RLUSD gaining access to the Cardano ecosystem, Cardano stakeholder Input Output has put nine proposals forward in a bid to scale the network. Notably, none of them focuses on stablecoin integrations, with the highlight being the Leios upgrade, which developers aim to use to scale the network to 27 million monthly transactions by 2030.
NuNet, a decentralized peer-to-peer network for sharing computing power, has announced the launch of Cardano-based payments.
NuNet made the announcement following a successful demonstration of decentralized compute payments on the Cardano blockchain. The event confirms real-world functionality rather than a conceptual roadmap, signaling readiness for broader adoption.
Key Points NuNet has launched Cardano-based payments for its decentralized peer-to-peer compute network. This support follows the release of Device Management Service (DMS) v0.9.0, which expands contract settlement beyond Ethereum. The system allows seamless switching between Ethereum and Cardano within a single payment flow. While Cardano payments are now live, the network’s native NTX token will continue to drive coordination and orchestration. Adding Cardano support represents a key milestone ahead of NuNet’s mainnet launch, scheduled for early March. NuNet Expands Contract Payments Beyond Ethereum NuNet positioned itself as a multi-blockchain decentralized compute marketplace but relied primarily on Ethereum for settlement, in line with broader Web3 standards. However, earlier this month, the project reached a key milestone with the release of Device Management Service (DMS) v0.9.0.
With this update, NuNet added Cardano support to its payment system, extending settlement beyond Ethereum and strengthening its multi-chain architecture. As a result, users can now deploy compute jobs and pay directly with ADA, while the NTX token continues to drive network coordination and orchestration.
Moreover, the system allows seamless switching between Ethereum and Cardano, delivering a production-ready payment flow from deployment through settlement. Overall, this upgrade builds on earlier infrastructure improvements and positions NuNet for its live phase with full multi-blockchain support.
NuNet Gears Up for Mainnet Launch According to NuNet, activating Cardano payments represents a pivotal step toward its mainnet launch. The mainnet infrastructure is scheduled to go live on March 2, 2026, marking the transition from testing to a fully operational decentralized compute economy.
In a statement, the NuNet team emphasized that its infrastructure is now ready for global adoption. Following the deployment of Cardano-based payments, the project stated that it has showcased its ability to deliver seamless payments, multi-blockchain support, and real-world utility.

World Liberty Financial zahájila kroky k zalistování WLFI na kryptoburzách. Token, původně nepřevoditelný governance token, se už na sekundárním trhu obchoduje mezi 0,13 až 0,18 USD.
World Liberty Financial, a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform backed by President Donald Trump and his family, is poised to launch its WLFI token, which could hold significant profits for early investors.
WLFI Token Launch Approaches The company announced on July 4 that it has initiated steps to have its flagship token listed on cryptocurrency exchanges, marking a crucial milestone after months of anticipation.
The WLFI token, which was introduced last year as a non-transferable governance token, is designed to facilitate community voting on the project’s future direction.
Secondary market trading has already commenced on platforms like Whales.market and MEXC, where WLFI has recently traded between $0.13 to $0.18, a notable increase from its initial sale prices of $1.5 and $0.5.
According to the project’s white paper, entities affiliated with the Trump family may collectively hold about one-third of WLFI’s total supply of 100 billion tokens. At current prices, these holdings could represent billions of dollars on paper.
Bruno Ver, market expert and investor in the WLFI token, expressed optimism about its potential value, predicting it could reach between $2 and $5 in the near future.
If the token were to climb to $2, the stake held by the founding entities could theoretically be worth around $60 billion, making it one of the most lucrative Trump-related crypto ventures to date.
Recent estimates suggest that crypto businesses have already added approximately $620 million to Donald Trump’s personal net worth, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Experts Warn Of Risks Despite the enthusiasm surrounding WLFI, the White House has emphasized that President Trump is distanced from his business interests, having placed his assets in a family-controlled trust.
The current proposal for token release, dated July 4, aims to unlock a portion of tokens held by “early supporters,” although the term lacks a specific definition within the documentation.
Remaining tokens, including those held by founders and team members, would be subject to future votes and longer lock-up periods to signal a commitment to the project. The proposal is expected to undergo discussion and voting on the Snapshot platform, with a potential timeline extending into August.
However, experts caution that the path to a successful launch might come with risks for early holders. Lex Sokolin, managing partner at Generative Ventures, pointed out that tokens with substantial founder and investor allocations often experience significant price declines over time.
World Liberty Financial’s token launch and the Trump family’s increased interest in digital assets comes on the heels of notable regulatory changes in the US as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has adopted a more lenient stance toward crypto.
This may signal a sense of confidence from WLFI regarding regulatory scrutiny. Hilary Allen, a law professor at American University, noted that this shift suggests WLFI no longer perceives a threat from the SEC.

Aave po hlášení chyby dočasně pozastavil trh Aave V2 Ethereum a zmrazil některá aktiva na Avalanche. Na Aave V3 pak zmrazil konkrétní aktiva na Polygonu, Arbitru a Optimismu. Podle protokolu nejsou žádné prostředky v ohrožení.
Decentralized finance (DeFi) platform Aave has suspended operations in a number of markets after receiving a problem report on a certain function of the protocol.
DeFi Protocol Discovers Vulnerability; Is User Funds At Risk? On Saturday, November 4, decentralized lending protocol Aave announced – via a post on X (formerly Twitter) that it has paused the Aave V2 Ethereum market and suspended certain assets on Avalanche. In addition, the protocol has frozen specific assets on Aave V3 on Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism.
Today we received a report of an issue on a certain feature of the Aave Protocol. After validation by community developers, the guardian has taken the following temporary prevention measure (no funds are at risk):
— Aave (@aave) November 4, 2023
According to the protocol’s announcement, these actions serve as a temporary precautionary measure following a problem report on a specific feature.
Furthermore, Aave said in the post that the Aave V3 markets on Ethereum, Base, and Metis and the V2 markets on Polygon and Avalanche are unaffected. Meanwhile, no funds on any of the markets were at risk, according to DeFi lending protocol.
🚨🚨 🚨 On 11-04 17:38:35 UTC, Aave Guardian has taken necessary protection measurements to pause AaveV2 protocol (and all Aave pools are safe): https://t.co/3xJzfiejig

— PeckShield Inc. (@peckshield) November 4, 2023
While Aave did not specify what the issue is or the feature that caused the problem, the protocol said it would release a detailed explanation once there is a full resolution. The statement read:
A governance proposal to restore the normal operation of the protocols will be submitted shortly. A detailed postmortem will be released once the issue is fully resolved.
Aave further clarified that users supplying or borrowing from a frozen assets pool can still withdraw and repay positions. However, these users can’t supply or borrow more funds from the frozen assets pool until the issue is resolved. The protocol added:
On paused assets, no action can be done until unpaused.
AAVE Price Remains Steady Despite Protocol Vulnerability There is no evidence to suggest that the problem has had any impact on the value of the protocol’s native token, AAVE. As of this writing, the token is valued at $90.15, reflecting a negligible 0.9% price dip in the past 24 hours.
Nevertheless, the token is outperforming on a bigger timeframe. Over the past week, AAVE’s price has swelled by more than 10%, touching the $100 mark – for the first time since February – at some point during the week.
Although the price of AAVE has been moving mostly sideways in the past few days, a resolution of the current issue might trigger renewed momentum for the token. Hence, there is a chance that the cryptocurrency might revisit $100 again, especially considering the optimistic climate of the crypto market.
